Speaker 2 (00:46):
She walks in and gives me that exact same Stanley
cup that I was making fun of her having last week.
And I don't know if you saw, but it looks
like went viral in the news. A car burnt down
and the girls Stanley Cup like sir, and now the
company is paying for her to get a new car.

Speaker 2 (02:18):

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Do you need me to do you need me to
show you what you're supposed to show that show? Okay?
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Well, as I mentioned, amazing show. As you can tell,
we are on one here today. We'll keep you updated
all the college football highlights as they happen. We have
Buffalo Bill's reporter Maddy glab to join us at the
bottom of the hour because you know, they've been in
the They've been in the news for all the wrong
reasons this week, so we're gonna get all the inside
information that we can from her. We have producer Ryan
(03:37):
and Brandon with us today, our technical producer Chris Phffett,
and Martin Weiss at the news desk. But let's start
with a little NFL chat mom see, because the AFC
North got turned upside down this.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
Week in a different way, because it was already upside
down in a positives ago.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
We were raving that this was the best division in
the league.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
At one point, all four teams were in the playoff picture,
Ravens and first and the other three had the wild
cards pass nuts. In a matter of three days, this
division came crumbling down. Let's just run through the three days. Wednesday,
Browns announced that Deshaun Watson is out for the season,
getting surgery on his throwing shoulder. Thursday, Ravens tight end
(04:21):
Mark Andrews left the game with an ankle injury, and
after the game, John Harbaugh said it looks like season
ending injury. Joe Burrow also left that game with a
wrist injury, and then yesterday Friday, the Bengals announced that
Burrow is out for the season. Every one of those
injuries devastating for each of those teams. But let's start
(04:43):
with the with the Bengals, because their playoff hopes, they're done.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Yeah, they're done with Burrow. Not say that, right, you can't.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
We saw what this team was when Burrow was injured
to start the season, right, They didn't start really turning
things around until he he was playing healthy, and then
they went on a four game winning streak and Burrow
had the best passer rating in the league during that time. Now,
before Thursday Night's game, their backup quarterback Jake Browning had
thrown one pass in his NFL career.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
Yeah one.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Now, when he came into the game in that second quarter,
he completed eight to fourteen passes, six sixty eight passing yards,
forty rushing yards, and one touchdown. That's not going to
get you, No, no, no, no, no no, But that's not.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
Going to get to the how are you feelings? I
know Burrows're going dude.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
I was so so sad.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
And you know, there was that whole drama with the
picture of him getting off the plane that was originally
posted by the Bengals, and it looked like he had
a wrap around his wrist then taken off by the Bengals,
which to me, why did you take it off if
it really wasn't anything, if it was some sort of
therapeutic risk thing for the air because that's what they're
saying that it was, you know, the air pressure pregame
(05:56):
that was right landing rreg Yeah, so they took that
picture off.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Which was like everybody was like, why would you take
this picture off?
Speaker 4 (06:03):
And I agree there was something going on.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Even though they're cleaning that it has nothing to do.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
I mean, at this point of the season, halfway through,
everyone's playing injury. Everybody's Burrow has been injured all right
before the season even started, he was dealing with a
calf injury and you're all like, he's he's been injured
this entire year. No.
Speaker 5 (06:18):
I when he went off to the sidelines, I was like,
he's fine, He's fine. And then they showed that clip
of him trying to throw and the ball just fell
out of his hand nothing, And it was like.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Oh my goodness, Yes that's.
Speaker 5 (06:29):
A boy, you know, like I'm so I'm so sad,
and I'm just sad for the Bengals too, you know,
like this is it. We'll get to the Ravens. This
isn't the Mark Andrews situation, you know, and even not
even the Brown situation, and we'll get to that as
well for the For the Bengals, this is this is
the heart and soul of the team in so many
different ways.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
On and off the field. He is the energy, he
is the face.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
He is the reason that they have had the success
of success that they have had over the last handful
of yours.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
Yeah, since he's been in the.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
League, you with the questionable O line, like you can't
expect these.
Speaker 5 (07:03):
This backup quarterback to be Dobbs, Joshua Dobbs, Like you
can't expect that, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
That's like the norm. Now, Like are you gonna step up?
Are you gonna do it? How are you gonna dob it?
I like that, I don't know is he gonna I
don't think he's gonna no, something would.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
Have shown up in that game. He did not dub
I mean he threw it.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
He was an awful but definitely not win the Aangles need. Yeah, no,
it was brutal. I'm so sad, you know, I know.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
All right, Let's move on to the Browns, and to me,
this is karma. The Browns messed up giving Deshaun Watson
this contract, the biggest fully guaranteed contract to a player
that was not a good person, going through major legal
allegations in drama, hadn't played for a year. Now he's
out for the season. Honestly, I don't feel bad. The
(07:52):
Browns made their bed and now they have to lay
in it. Deal with your decisions and your consequences. Honestly,
I don't want to give walk any more attention, car Ha.
This is karma for them. So now the Browns, it's
time to see what they have in Dorian Thompson Robinson,
the rookie from UCLA. He was their fifth round pick
in the last draft. But again, yeah, playoff hopes are
(08:16):
a little iffy unless dtr like Dobbs.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
So here's what I was saying.
Speaker 5 (08:21):
Very different for the brown situation because the Browns have
won in spite of Deshaun Watson. Deshaun Watson this year
has not been good. He had an excellent second half
against the Ravens. Actually think he was a perfect fourteen
of fourteen against the Ravens, but he has not been
good yet. The Browns have been in it because of
their defense. Yeah, so there's still some sort of hope
(08:46):
there for the Browns. I'm not saying it's gonna be
easy for them. I just like for the Bengals. To me,
it's like we're done, right the Bengals, you guys are done.
You're not gonna make the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
I know.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
I'm like, are they strong enough to get one of
those wild card spots? Because Ravens are the best team
in that division and especially since they have the best
quarterback in that division now?
Speaker 4 (09:05):
Like hands down, but.
Speaker 5 (09:06):
If you got to, like, the defense has been so
good and that's the reason they have had the success
they had not because of Deshaun Watson.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
What can dtr do is a matter of time.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
You know, he's he's got some a little bit of
experience better than down in with the one attempt had
him played in two years.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
I don't Yeah, that's tough, that's toff.
Speaker 5 (09:29):
So I I don't think the Browns can feel the
way the Bengals feel yet.
Speaker 4 (09:37):
Two different situations.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Too very but also losing their their not ideal player
onto the Ravens. Yeah, I mean they're still in the
best spot in this division, but losing their tight end
Mark Andrews, who left the game with the ankle injury
most likely looking like season ending injury.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
You have to.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
Remember Andrews is Lamar's favorite target. He's kind of like
his security blanket. They were drafted in the same year,
so they've spent their entire NFL careers together and you
could tell them. Maar, I looked a little shook when
Andrews left the game that night, and it's very okay.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
We've seen this Ford.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
It's very similar to how like Brady was with Gronk
Mahomes is with Kelsey. So this is going to be
an interesting test for Lamar right because.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
He's been criticized.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
He's won an MVP, but for some reason he is
still doubted and this is a huge opportunity for Lamar
Jackson to just show the world why he is one
of the top tier quarterbacks in this league. They don't
have the perfect hand, and this is when great quarterbacks
find ways to win and still be great.
Speaker 5 (10:43):
So my criticism for Lamar Jackson is that he's not
a great passer.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
He's not in the pocket, he's not great. I will
give one to the critics.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
I'll give them actually seems to be a little bit
better this year. But you do need to be a
better passor because if you're down in the fourth quarter
by ten points, time is against. You can't run the ball.
You have to throw the ball. And that's in a situation.
I don't know if the Ravens would be able to
pull something like that off. Now, yes, Mark Andrews is
their best pass catcher, he's a tight end, but no,
(11:14):
he was his receiver, his favorite target. Ravens receivers are
not are not the top receivers out there.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
The run game is Gus Edwards. He's doing what he can.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
But I will tell you the only silver lining. Mark
Andrews has been injured before. His backup Isaiah likely has
done well, has stepped in and performed for the Ravens.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
So there is the same, but they do have a
legitimate backup.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
Correct like there's spirit So with the experience he's been
in this position. That is the only thing I am
curious to see what happens, you know with Lamar Jackson
moving forward.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Like you said, I think it'll be a good test,
but this one really hurts.
Speaker 5 (11:52):
Mark Andrews is like one of those guys that like
you root for because he doesn't complain.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
He just goes out there. He performs delivers game after game.
Speaker 5 (11:59):
Yeah, just for kind of like the Nick Chubb situation
where you're like, never complained, just was out there and
then these situations happen.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
So it sucks.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
It sucks.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
But this is also like teams either rise to the occasion.
We just saw this, I mean a different sport, but
the Rangers losing a Doulas Garcia, their best player in
the World Series, and then they went on to win
the next two games to win.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
The World Series. Yeah, so it's like a team can.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Rise, yeah when you lose like your top guy, or
you can crumble.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
Hopefully they can rise.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
But I mean they have one of the toughest remaining schedules,
like they are at Chargers must win metality then home
against the Rams. Rams are finally healthy at Jags at
forty nine, Ers on Christmas Day and then home against
the Dolphins and home against the Steelers. Yeah, like, none
of these are going to be a cakewalk. All of
these are going to be extremely difficult.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
The Steelers are the team that right now is.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
Like oh goody, yeah, oh goody.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
Yeah not and you know, not that they're happier.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
But they're right behind them and worth have won games
and you're.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
Like, how did you win these games? You've been outgained
in every game and you won.
Speaker 5 (13:05):
They are the ones grinning and smiling, ear to ear opportunity.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Will they, you know, actually take advantage of it and
will they be the ones that possibly knock them out?
Speaker 6 (13:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (13:16):
The playoffs?
Speaker 2 (13:17):
In that last game at home of the regular season, Yeah,
so AFC North.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
How what a turn?
Speaker 2 (13:25):
What arise and what a fall like all within a
couple of weeks that was wild.
Speaker 5 (13:29):
Absolutely Obviously a lot of other teams, but to me,
the Steelers are the ones that are like.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
Things just got huh interesting, Uh huh.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
All right, we're gonna take a quick break here, but
when we come back, we're taking a look at Draymond
green suspension.

Speaker 7 (14:58):
As we rolled on the right touchdown paths, Yeah, Dylan Bell,
what I took the carriage ze out of the.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
Went to the right side and chunked it into the
end zone.
Speaker 7 (15:09):
Marcus Rosamie Jack Sat caught the touchdown paths from Dylan Bell.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
That's right, you just heard Scott Howard from Learfield.
Speaker 5 (15:16):
Because the number one Georgia Bulldogs are up on the
Tennessee Volunteers.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
I've always liked that volunteers. They're up ten seven after
the first quarter.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
It feels so kind. We will volunteer to be here.
You kick your bus. Yes, it's it's so silly.
Speaker 5 (15:35):
I know the first time I was like like a volume,
like a volunteer, like that's right, and Gus like, oh
huh cool.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
Okay, it's not like a gladiator.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
It's not like a bird. It's kind. It's very kind.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Hi, you're listening to Fox Sports Saturday, Malex caurreer with
Manci Bolognos. We were broadcasting live from Tyrock dot Com
Studios in Los Angeles.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
Moncey's trying to talk some NBA. We'll get your clips
in a.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Moment, all right, okay, But Warriors dreamond Green was suspended
five games by the NBA over a fight.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
But it was more of what was it?
Speaker 3 (16:09):
How was that?
Speaker 4 (16:09):
It's okay?
Speaker 2 (16:10):
So I feel it said he was escalating an encore altercation,
is how they worded it in Tuesday's game with the Timberwolves. Now,
if you've seen this thing, he wasn't involved in the
initial fight. He decided to come over and break it
up by putting someone in a headlock.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
For several what felt like eternity.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Right, But I obviously this is not a first for
Draymond Green. Right, he has a history of kind of
you go on cheap shots, Yeah, just stepping on guys.
This was a headlock. I mean it goes all the
way back to twenty sixteen in the NBA Finals when
(16:57):
he stomped on Lebron's growing and that kind of change
the whole finals. Cleveland came back and won. Then you
had twenty eighteen his fight with KD when they were
all on the same team.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
And they had to be separated.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Hey, he doesn't discriminate you got Yeah, I know it
doesn't matter if you're honest team he's playing you that
he got one game, got one game for the Lebron situation,
another game in twenty twenty three in March, then the
playoffs last season.
Speaker 4 (17:25):
For another stomp.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
Yeah, I got one game and then this headlock This
is the first time that he got five games.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
So all other four suspensions were one game.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
It's hard because the difference this time is he wasn't
he wasn't like starting the fight.
Speaker 4 (17:46):
He was de escalating the situation. But man, you can't.
You can't put someone in a headlock. You just dream on.
You got to know when you're hurting your team.
Speaker 6 (17:58):
And like.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
It felt, it felt a bit much.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
It felt like this is what you learn when you're
a child, right, Like you don't hit your teammates, you
don't put the teammates in a headlock. It was one
of those like I kind of had to watch it
a couple times to be like, is this real?
Speaker 4 (18:18):
Oh now, oh, he's really putting him in a headlock.
Oh this has happening. It's not too tight.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
He's not gonna put him to sleep in a headlock,
but he definitely can't move.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Yeah, the pictures are great, The stills are great.
Speaker 4 (18:29):
Have you seen the painting. There's a pain of the
whole situation. That's good. That's good.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Do you think the five games was the right call?
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Of course?
Speaker 4 (18:40):
Yeah, of course.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
The NBA has failed to actually handle Draymond Green properly.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
Four yeas, we just assume that he's gonna grow out
of it, and then.
Speaker 8 (18:52):
This is who he is, triple down on it against
Rudy Gobert, where yeah, he's defending his teammates, But how
you don't see that you affect negatively your teammates when
you get suspended because you're not their scorer, you're not
their offensively, but you are super.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
Important on the defensive end of the ball.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
He sets the tone right, and it's it's just.
Speaker 5 (19:13):
Kind of like, Draymond, what are you doing? But I
blame the NBA, the league, not him.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Everything you just said was one game.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
It was one game. That's the problem.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Yeah, you can't blame No, you can't blame the NBA
Draymond Green's actions.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
He was a grown man who knows the difference between
right and wrong. This was wrong.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
If you're coming to de escalate, grab him by by
the waist, grab him.
Speaker 9 (19:40):
By the shoulders, don't grab him by the neck and
a headlock. Right, So that is scary, that is dangerous.
And yes, I do agree this was the correct suspension.
I do not believe this is the NBA's fault.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
This was like finally, like all right, you like we
had to, now, Draymond, we had to do something.
Speaker 5 (19:59):
That's that's why I'm saying the NBA fell this after
the third, fourth, fifth incident. It shouldn't have been one
game and needed to jump up to five a minute ago.
So maybe he doesn't act like this. Yes, it's Draymond
is a grown man. I understand that.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
Of course we can't control him, but what if the.
Speaker 5 (20:13):
NBA would have taken this more seriously a couple of
incidents ago, because there's several to break from.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
I mean, luckily no one is like seriously injured, right,
but it's just a bad precedent. It's people kids are
watching Toulia. It's it's kind of it's a part of
his personality. It is Jordan pull that practice.
Speaker 5 (20:30):
Like, but I think the problem is that it's been
one one, one, one five. No, you needed to be
more serious, a little bit of go NBA, and maybe
things would have been this bad.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
But it was so ridiculous, Just like you said, you
watched it, You're.
Speaker 4 (20:45):
Like, is this a joke? Is it is this real?
Is this are they acting? What's going on here?
Speaker 8 (20:50):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (20:50):
No, no, no, it's.
Speaker 5 (20:51):
And he was just you know, Rudy Gobert which I
still have a feeling a lot of NBA players hate
Rudy Gobert because because of.
Speaker 4 (20:58):
The COVID situation. The yep, I still I bet he
didn't know. That was before any of us knew. That
was like, b C.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
I don't think I've just said.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
People still can be blamed. No one can be blamed
for that. No one had any idea how serious it
was at that point.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
But Raymond is not the most logical person.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
No, it is. That was ridiculous.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
Yeah, it's I'm hoping that this is though like a
like a other players will see this, you know that,
and they're like, okay, maybe because five games is a lot.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Now, it's early in the season, so are the Warriors
going to be.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
It's not only a lot, it's without pay. He's gonna lose.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
He's fine seven hundred sixty nine, nine hundred and seventy dollars.
Speaker 5 (21:36):
I bet you if you asked him, he says it's
worth it that he would choke him out again.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Gosh, oh, listen to his podcast. We'll talk about it
there well, and he.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Will to say that it's always a defense.
Speaker 5 (21:46):
Like most of the times he is defending himself, even
against Demantas Sabonis Demantes Motors grabbed his.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
Leg and he stopped on him. Is that fair? No, Draymond,
you still can't stop on people.
Speaker 4 (21:56):
You can't.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
I want to give you a moment here before we
get to our update. Because as your Clippers won their
very first game with James Harden last night, they are
now one and five with Harden, what did you see
him do differently last night? Because we heard tylu say
that this Clippers team was going to be the toughest
challenge as a head coach to get these guys to
sacrifice for each other. We heard Westbrook say that he's
(22:18):
willing to come off the bench so they can find
some chemistry.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
So maybe the like conversations are working.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
Maybe you know, Westbrook did not look happy. He did
not play a lot of that fourth quarter.
Speaker 5 (22:29):
In fact, I think he only clocked in seventeen minutes
of yesterday's game.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
And what I saw that looked good.
Speaker 5 (22:39):
See aside from people don't talk about this, but Aviza
zubats the center.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
He needs to be in.
Speaker 5 (22:44):
The game more. He needs to be in the game more.
And at the end of that game, it was a
close game against a good Rockets team. That's won seven
to eight in a row. It was down to the
final two minutes. They were down, they were up. It
was a good win. Kawhi went cold, Peach made a
big shot, Powell made a big shot, and then James
Harden with the and one three pointer to seal the win.
(23:05):
It looked good. It didn't look like you got lucky
in one. That's why I was happy, Okay, I was
happy with what I saw. I was talent, a talented win,
a talented win. When Kawhi went Coldwai took like three
four shots and missed them.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
With like three minute. I mean, you have four superstars.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
You gotta imagine that one at least one of them
is gonna step up and help the other if they're
having an off night.
Speaker 5 (23:29):
And James Harden, his stat line overall was great. He
didn't take thirty shots, you know, he kept it to
I think it was maybe fifteen is shots, made like
twelve of them.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
I liked what I saw, and I was it was
a good win. It wasn't just lucky, and so I
was Oh, I.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
Was wearing rocking and she's rocking the Clipper shirt.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
For the first time.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
I actually wore one yesterday too.
Speaker 5 (23:49):
I went out and I wore a Clipper shirt and
I was like, out of the friends, my friend's birthday, happy,
but lated birthday, Lauren.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
We were out at Golden Road and I was like,
can you put the Clipper game on here? And then
the stir was like Clippers. I was like, yes, can
you put the back on.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
The linky the look that Clippers fans are so used
to in la Yes, the Clippers?
Speaker 3 (24:07):
Yes, yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
Well, congrats, Yeah, I'm happy you got that happy today.
But now let's check in with Martin Wis and see
what's trending.
Speaker 10 (24:19):
College football scores in action right now. You at the
number one team in the nation, Georgia with a ten
to seven lead with twelve twenty five left in the
second quarter over number twenty one Tennessee. Dolly Parton and
Peyton Manning in attendance there at Rocky Top.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
So I feel like that's got to be.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
It's on the street right now, get an interviewed.
Speaker 4 (24:36):
Yeah, what would Dolly do?
Speaker 11 (24:37):
Love? Dolly?
Speaker 10 (24:40):
Number three ranked Ohio stay with the seven nothing lead
over in Minnesota late in the first quarter. There Number
six Oregon with fourteen nothing lead over Arizona. State and
midway through the first number nineteenth in Arizona twenty eight
to seven over sixteenth thrank in Utah. James Madison the
eighteenth three team in the nation trying to play in
a Bowl this year. We'll see if they can get that.
But they're gonna need to win today. Right now, they're
(25:01):
trailing ten to five to Appalachian State. Number seven, I'm sorry,
Number twenty noted name of wake Forest tied seven apiece
with eight minutes left in the second quarter. North Carolina
with a seven nothing lead over Clemson with twelve forty
five left in the second and twenty fourth rank Oklahoma
State currently trailing Houston seven to nothing, was seven minutes
left in the first and number twenty five Liberty just
(25:23):
took care of UMass forty nine to twenty five, and
Monzi James I'm sorry. James Harden subbed in for Russell
Westbrook with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter last night.
Russ did not come back in the game. I was
at the game last night, first of all, so a
few observations it gave. It was given like like Disney movie,
(25:45):
kind of like the court, you know, like it felt
like the good guys needed to score like ten points
at the end so the bad guys would lose and
then like you know, you go kiss the cheerleader.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Or something like that.
Speaker 10 (25:54):
Very high school musical to me with the court the way.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
It was like the courts by the way, absolutely not
got you.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
Me too.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
It's so hard to concentrate on the game. I'm like,
it's too much color.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
Yeah, it's too.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
Hard on my all of that.
Speaker 10 (26:06):
Went to dinner before the game. Right, he was watching
the screen, you know, one of those restaurants right in
La Live.
Speaker 4 (26:11):
I thought I was watching the Tuberwolves. It was the Pelicans. Yeah,
no one. Where's the jersey that that that I grew
up watching them?
Speaker 10 (26:17):
Where the courts?
Speaker 4 (26:18):
All these different colors? Why does it look like NBA?
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Two K I'm not a play I know.
Speaker 10 (26:23):
I don't like it.
Speaker 4 (26:24):
I don't like it.
Speaker 12 (26:24):
I don't like it.
Speaker 4 (26:25):
I don't like it. I agree, I do like your show.
So back to you. Thanks farting you, Martin.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
You're listening to Fox Sports Saturday AM Alex Career with
Monty Bilanios. We are broadcasting live from tyrek dot com
Studios in Los Angeles. Thank you for spending your Saturday
afternoon with Nancy and me. But it's time to bring
in our first guest. Bill's Team reporter Maddy glab is
joining us today.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
Mattie, thank you so much for being with us.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
Hey, guys, glad to be on with you.
Speaker 11 (26:51):
And Hey, good thing. The Bill's play green Grass. We
don't have to worry about any crazy colored courts.
Speaker 4 (26:56):
Yeah, thank you, because that is brutal.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
Maddie.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
You spend a lot of time with this team and
they have been in the media for all the wrong reasons.
This has been a tough week for the Bill, starting
with the loss of the Broncos Monday night, then Tuesday
firing their offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
What's the vibe been like around the team all week?
Speaker 11 (27:16):
Yeah, I mean we're heading into week eleven here, and
I think the vibe is, Hey, they're sitting at five
and five and if they want a chance to get
into the playoffs, it is now or never. They know
they have to get things right. Sean mc durrant, the
head coach, has been talking about all week he wants
to see more confidence and energy out of this team
when they play the Jets tomorrow afternoon, and he was
(27:39):
happy with what he saw at practice in the last
couple of days. He said he saw that energy out there,
he saw some he saw some confidence in life in
this offense. So hopefully that means that's what we're going
to see on Sunday against the Jets, because it's a
big game. Last week's game against the Broncos was big.
This one is even bigger. This team has to win
now if they want a chance at the dance.
Speaker 5 (28:01):
Maddie, thanks for joining us. I want to talk a
little bit about Josh Allen. I feel that Josh Allen
puts too much pressure on himself. He has the most
touchdowns at the same time the most interceptions. Do you
think it's psychological right now for him or do you think, yes,
it's beyond that.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
It's just you know, I.
Speaker 11 (28:21):
Mean, it's funny when you look at the records of
this team. When you look at the stats, it tells
the weird story. They rank so high in so many
statistical categories on offense, but then you look at the
turnovers and they're one of the worst in the NFL.
And Josh Allen shoulders a lot of that because he
knows he's the captain of the offense. You know, it
rides on him. He's one of the best quarterbacks in
(28:44):
the NFL, and the offense goes as he goes, So
he's going to take on a big load of that
if the team is not playing up to the standard
that they know how to play up to. So I
think he does have a lot on him, and he
does have a lot in his head. But when his
back is aginst the wall, we've seen him shine time
and time again, and I know we haven't seen a
(29:04):
lot of that this season, but I think back to
a couple of seasons ago when this team was in
close games and they won a lot of fourth We
won a lot of games in the fourth quarter, and
I know these guys are capable of doing that. We
just need to see it at a consistent level. And
the confidence and the energy that Sean McDermott talked about,
I think we also need to see that from Josh Allen.
(29:26):
He knows that he sets the tone, he sets the
vibe for the team in the locker room as they're
running out onto the field, and I think we got
to see more of that from him. When this team
is playing at their best. You hear the guys talk
about how it's so fun playing this sport and it's
like playing backyard football and it's like being a kid again.
And we haven't seen that out of this team in
(29:49):
several weeks, so I'm waiting to see it from them.
Hopefully it comes sooner than later. I mean, we saw
it in weeks two through four when this team was
averaging forty one points per game. They did the Dolphin's
Big almost put fifty points on the scoreboard, but we
just haven't seen it since then. And I think that's
where a lot of the frustration in the locker room
(30:09):
and outside of the locker room comes from, is knowing
this team is built to have a high powered offense.
They've got a great offensive line around Josh Allen right now,
who's allowing a low pressure rate ranking top ten in
the NFL, but we just haven't seen it get put
together in the second half of the season. So yeah,
(30:29):
I think it does start with Josh in terms of
what's going on and the pressure that's on him right now.
But if there's anybody to defy that and beat that,
I believe it's him because I've seen it before out
of him.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
I mentioned pressure. Now, this team always has high expectations.
I think because you have a guy like Josh Allen
and Sean McDermott. But as you mentioned five and five
right now, how much of a hot seat is Sean
McDermott on if they don't make the playoffs this year?
Speaker 11 (31:01):
Yeah, they make the change that offensive coordinator. They move
on from Ken Dorsey, and I think the locker room
and the coaching staff felt the weight of that. I mean,
you're moving on from somebody that a lot of people
loved in that building. Because you need a change, You
need something to happen, and so I think we're gonna
need to see that happen. We have to see that
change happen on offense. Joe Brady, the quarterbacks coach, now
(31:24):
moves into that play calling role, that interim role for now,
but we'll wait to see what he could do. He
was able to help take an LSU offense to hids
that college football hasn't seen before. It was Joe Burrow,
Jamar Chase, and Justin Jefferson. I know we don't have
those players on this roster, but we have some similar guys.
(31:44):
Josh Allen is a great quarterback. Stefan Diggs is a
great wide receiver. We have those weapons and so maybe
Joe Brady can help out with that. But I think
Sew knows this team has to perform. This team has
been in the playoffs the last several years in a row.
It's going to be if they can't make it happen.
That's something that a lot of people were expecting to happen,
(32:06):
and that's a goal that is within this building, is
to be able to make the playoffs win. The AfD
East have a number one speed in the playoffs. Those
are things that they write down as goals in the
beginning of the season because they know they're talented enough
to do so. And so if you don't reach some
of those, if you don't reach the playoffs, you know,
(32:26):
the coaching staff, the players, they're going to be looking
from within asking, you know, why did this happen and
what can we do to move forward to make sure
we're not in the same position again. So we'll see
how the next couple of weeks ago. But yeah, this
is a This is a big month for the players
and a bigger month for the coaching staff.
Speaker 4 (32:46):
For sure.
Speaker 5 (32:47):
You know, the goal is to never let outside noise
come into the locker, but sometimes the outside noise is
a little too close to home. Stefon Diggs brother Trayvon
Diggs tweeted some things after sure their recent loss, saying fourteen's.
Speaker 3 (33:02):
Got to get out of there.
Speaker 5 (33:04):
Then he got into it and said he's the one
that made Josh Allen who he is now.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
How does that not affect their locker room?
Speaker 11 (33:14):
Yeah, I think this locker room has They've been through
so much, and it's a locker room full of veteran
players that have been on this team for several seasons together.
And I think something like that it's not going to
get into the locker room because of what this team
went through last year. I think back to Damar Hamlin
and that incident and everything that they had to deal
(33:37):
with last season. There were games moved because of weather.
They missed Christmas morning because we were late coming back
from Chicago due to a huge winter storm in Buffalo
and Orchard Park. And I think something like that just
can't compare to what this team has gone through before
that it won't sink into locker room. And I think
(33:58):
also this team has so many more things on their
mind of Hey, we got to get back on the
right track. We've got to start scoring more points. We
have to become that offense that we know we can
be that. It just they can't let something like this
ruin what they have going on right now. I think
they think they're, you know, equipped enough to be able
(34:22):
to not even worry about that and just focus at
the task at hand, which is a game against the
Jets on Sunday afternoon, and step On Diggs spoke to
the media afterward and said, you know, that's a family matter.
I'll handle that inside. And so I think they're gonna
let Stefan Diggs do that, and they hope that he
can perform like he has all season on the field.
(34:44):
I mean, he's leading the NFL in receptions in his
top ten and receiving yards is tied for second, and
receiving touchdowns. He's a huge producer on this offense. And
when the offense isn't producing at the level that we know,
everybody's numbers are affected by that. Night think that's what
we've seen the last couple of weeks and have seen
how to step on Digs too. Not that it's his
(35:05):
fault at all, it's just the rate that this team
has been turning the ball over it's not giving guys
chances and opportunities to move down the field and four touchdowns,
and all of us are hoping that that can happen
because Diggs started off the season on a tear with
a bunch of one hundred yard games, and you know
he has records now in the Bill's record books, and
(35:29):
he can reach more if he and Josh Allen continue
to produce. I think those guys know they need each other.
And we saw a clip at practice coming out of
practice of them hugging on the practice field. So I
would assume these guys are bigger than what's going on
in the media and the noise out there, that they're
not going to let it get within the locker room.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
Well, let's hope.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
So because they're facing the Jets on a short week,
some of they lost to after week one. Maddie, we
appreciate you so much.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
Thanks, thank you.
Speaker 4 (35:57):
For joining the show and giving us all that Bill's insight.
Speaker 12 (36:01):
Yep.
Speaker 11 (36:01):
Of course, have a Gregress here show guys.

Gone Brendan Rice, the touchdown maker, was his eleventh leading
the conference, third in the country.
Speaker 5 (36:36):
You just heard Schrojans Radio Network and a little bit
of Dolly Parton as well. Yes, Caleb Williams a seventy
four yard touchdown pass UCLA though in this rivalry game
against USC is up fourteen to seven, about eight minutes
to go in the second quarter.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
Boy have the mighty have fallen right for USC. I
don't think anybody saw saw this. At the start of
the season. We have a hype around not ranked. No
I know.
Speaker 4 (37:04):
I was like, where's you see?
Speaker 3 (37:05):

Speaker 2 (37:47):
Support your girlfriend on your bye week and sang along
to the words that are concert karma is a boy
on the Chiefs coming home to Me t swiftson with
Travis Kelcey in attendance concert last Was it last Sunday?
Speaker 3 (38:02):
Yeah, because on Saturday and night it was after our show.
Speaker 4 (38:05):
It's something we said to watch. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
It was literally took over every single person social media
feed if you follow sports or pop culture. He did
actually apologize for missing mister Swift's high five during that moment.
He's like, big high five, guys, the most electric thing
you can do at an event, which I like.
Speaker 4 (38:25):
They really do. I love how good?
Speaker 2 (38:28):
Yeah, yeah, which was great, but he was just.
Speaker 4 (38:31):
So into the moment. It was so cute.
Speaker 3 (38:32):
Do you look at the person's elbow to make sure
you don't miss.
Speaker 4 (38:35):
The high five?
Speaker 2 (38:36):
Sometimes if I'm thinking about it, but in the heat
of the moment, you just go You're.
Speaker 4 (38:40):
Just like that's right.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Even if you miss it still feels electric because like
the energies, you know.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
Got it, got it.
Speaker 5 (38:47):
I love more so than that moment when she runs
off and like dives into his arms.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
So sweet, so cute.
Speaker 5 (38:54):
Anyway, I'm gonna give you a big don't I don't know,
I had to say this. Don't put oriole mcflurry on
your cheeseburger at McDonald's. What wide receiver Jamison Williams of
the Detroit Lions put it on his story girl, Literally,
his cheeseburger is open, okay, and he has a slap
(39:17):
of or you my.
Speaker 3 (39:18):
Flurry on the meat and you see the ketchup and
the onions and the pickles. Yeah, how do you feel
about that?
Speaker 4 (39:25):
Real quick?
Speaker 2 (39:27):
The ketchup breaks it, the ketak breaks no, no, no
like because we will put like fries and shakes, the
salty sweet but like no onion, the whole ordeal apps
solutely not.
Speaker 4 (39:42):
I mean I'm always down to try.
Speaker 3 (39:44):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (39:45):
I'm like next week and you're gonna try. I dip
a burger and a shake. Absolutely, what's up? Sounds like
a good punishment.
Speaker 3 (39:52):
Sounds like I'm bringing McDonald's next week.
Speaker 4 (39:54):
And I've got to try this past.
Speaker 2 (39:56):
Food and I'm gluten free, so I can't eat bunch.
So there's a lot of things going on and there
figure out, Okay, I'm gonna get a du do wear
your dad's old jersey to your game.
Speaker 4 (40:05):
Joe Burrow wearing his dad cfl jersey.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Thought that it was his last game of the season
because now he's out with season ending injury.
Speaker 4 (40:13):
But that was really cool. I love when you when
you kind of get that like father son connection.
Speaker 10 (40:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
Yeah, I'm bringing up my phone so I because it
happened today.
Speaker 5 (40:21):
Okay, you know, like old tweets are resurfacen of Travis Kelcey.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
So today Devin Booker went back to.
Speaker 4 (40:30):
Kevin Durant Sweet twenty ten.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
Yeah, and he retweeted it real quick.
Speaker 5 (40:35):
It says, wake up in the middle of the night
and think about a girl and you start to like
sit at the edge of the bed and say, damn,
I want her.
Speaker 8 (40:42):
He retweeted that and put mood mood do that.
Speaker 2 (40:46):
That is a long, long, long, long long time ago.
Like how deep did he have to go?
Speaker 4 (40:52):
I love that.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
That's hilarious.
Speaker 2 (40:54):
How deep did he have to go? Okay, real quick, dude,
do you have your teammates back? After the Broncos one?
Last week, Courtland Sutton post a Russell Wilson apology form
for Bronco fans to fill out. I don't know if
you saw this. It was like a checklist of things
to do. It was absolutely hilarious. All right, when we
come back? Are they contenders or are they pretenders?

But it's also a Thanksgiving week, like it's like right,
it's officially like I have accepted the Christmas music.
Speaker 4 (42:33):
And it's holidays.
Speaker 10 (42:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
And the weather I think helped that. It was like
gloomy and rainy, and I like woke up this morning.
I was like, I think I'm ready to break out
my because I have a fake tree.
Speaker 3 (42:44):
Yeah, I get that fake.
Speaker 4 (42:46):
Tree all my my decor.
Speaker 3 (42:49):
Or is it white?
Speaker 2 (42:52):
I live in a jungle, Like I have like trees
and plants all over my house.
Speaker 4 (42:56):
So it's like it's it's got to match the vibe.
So it's like.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
Strictly gold decorations and fake love Christmas tree and like
what do you call it?
Speaker 4 (43:05):
The fine stuff everywhere?
Speaker 2 (43:08):
And then I buy pine tree candles. Oh so the
house smells.
Speaker 4 (43:12):
Like get a jungle a little Yeah. Yeah, I like that.
It's gonna be great.
Speaker 2 (43:17):
But yeah, it's Thanksgiving week, so it's like family's already
kind of in town. Like my family's already having like
a nice little college football barbecue today and all like
kicking thanks saush.
Speaker 4 (43:27):
Yeah. Do you guys do anything special for Thanksgiving?
Speaker 5 (43:29):
It's not a lot. I don't have family here. My
all of my my hundred cousins, I got like one
hundred of them.
Speaker 4 (43:36):
Yea.
Speaker 5 (43:36):
Oh, I've got like forty aunts and uncles. They're all
in Costa Rica.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
So I just have my brothers here and my parents.
My dad left Costa Rica. By Dad, thank you so much.
Speaker 4 (43:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (43:46):
And then one of my brothers was like, oh, dad's
going we're gonna go to Colorado. And then my brother
was like, we're gonna go camping. So and my mom
is here. So I'm working on Thanksgiving for a little bit. Yeah,
I'm gonna go with the boyfriend and we're gonna get
some food. My brother works, he is I'm a part
owner of a restaurant called boss Cat over in Orange County.
Speaker 13 (44:04):
Cool.
Speaker 5 (44:04):
Yeah, and they are open and they do like this
fancy you know, so I'm gonna go, Okay.
Speaker 2 (44:08):
So you have like you have something. Yeah, you got
a family, you got a restaurant thing.
Speaker 6 (44:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (44:12):
So you know you said like you're like thirty to
forty cousins on Coastaga Minor all in Los Angeles.
Speaker 3 (44:16):
Yeah, so you're gonna have family.
Speaker 4 (44:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (44:18):
Family is all based in Los Angeles. My parents were
both born and raised here. Everyone kind of stuck around.
There's a couple like cousins other places. But my mom's
a chef, my sister's a chef. So Curry Farms turns
into like forty to We've had like close to sixty
people there before.
Speaker 4 (44:33):
This is a small one. I think we're like thirty five. Yeah,
small one. Yeah, yeah, this is a small one this year.
Speaker 3 (44:37):
What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
Speaker 11 (44:40):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (44:40):
I love mashed potatoes, mashed potato. I love potatoes. I
love French fries. Yeah, I love it.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
I love a potato in any form that it comes in. Yeah,
that is my favorite food. I like fried potatoes. I
like hash browns. Yeah, give me tater tots.
Speaker 3 (44:56):
What I don't know why.
Speaker 4 (44:57):
But you're gonna come down to Hermosa Beach.
Speaker 2 (44:58):
I'm gonna take you to North End but and Growth,
where the Kings brought the Stanley Cup after they won.
It is like the spot they have the best tater
tots in town. All Right, we're gonna have a moment. Okay, okay,
all right, I would like that, thank you. All right,
let's get started with the fun segment. We call pretenders
or contender, right, Okay, So we're gonna go through a
couple different NFL teams and explain why we think they
are either pretenders or possible contenders.
Speaker 4 (45:21):
So we're gonna start with the Bills.
Speaker 3 (45:23):
Why not?
Speaker 2 (45:24):
Yeah, Yeah, we were just talking to their team reporter
in the last hour and got some good insights. Seems
like vibes are high after a really weird week. They've
had a lot of internal drama after losing the Monday
night football game, firing their offensive coordinator on Tuesday. You
(45:44):
have the Stephon Digs and Trayvon Digs like conversation and
drama going on. But they do have incredible talent, right
They should be winning games right now, but they just
can't figure it out. They are five and five right now.
And last week again they should have won the game,
(46:04):
but they had twelve guys on the field.
Speaker 4 (46:06):
The last play of the game, Denver was gonna go
for the game when he kicked.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
And missed, but then they got to redo because the
Bills had two any guys on the field. Like it
was not those are the mistakes, the mental mistakes you cannot.
Speaker 4 (46:20):
Make that cost you the game.
Speaker 2 (46:21):
Obviously, there were so many other opportunities and things that
happen throughout the entire game. But they're putting Sean McDermott
in hot water with that miscommunication. I mean, no, it
was bad.
Speaker 4 (46:38):
They have a reputation as one of the top teams
in the.
Speaker 2 (46:42):
League, and then again have we overhyped them, Like putting
them there as like one of the top teams in
the league is where my mind starts to go after
all of this.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
But I.
Speaker 2 (46:54):
This season they feel like pretenders to me, And I
have a really tough time saying because I.
Speaker 4 (47:01):
Know how talented Josh Allen is. I have eyes, I've
seen it. But there's also like.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
This is a dysfunction is happening within this organization right now,
and you can't deny that.
Speaker 5 (47:13):
Yeah, I also think Unfortunately they are pretenders.
Speaker 3 (47:16):
I said it from the beginning.
Speaker 5 (47:18):
I felt that there were a bit of bad tension,
bad vibes in the locker room. And it's not that
I don't think. I don't think between I don't think
they don't like each other. I don't think that's what
it is.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
I mean they hugged after practice the other day, is
what we were just told, right.
Speaker 3 (47:36):
And they obviously need each other. But I think, you know,
like if you're in a relationship and the person breaks
your trust.
Speaker 4 (47:46):
And it's done, you can never get it back.
Speaker 3 (47:48):
No pretend right the same.
Speaker 5 (47:50):
So I feel that there is like built up hangover
from the last couple of years where they have fallen
short of the expectation and it has just hung It's
just hanging over two three years of it that has
never been shaken off their shoulders. And here we are
and it's like almost like I don't want to say this,
but it's almost like a relationship that needs to break up.
Speaker 4 (48:13):
That's you're going.
Speaker 2 (48:15):
You're going with a Trayvon Digg's comments out there that
I don't think he should a brother, His brother needs
to needs to get out.
Speaker 5 (48:21):
And if his brother was not an NFL player. I
think it's a little bit more acceptable to make comments
like that. But you're an NFL player, and I think
you know better.
Speaker 4 (48:28):
That's the only thing. Don't you get involved in your
brother's work.
Speaker 5 (48:31):
And then your brother, like your pastor brother in an
awkward position, you know, to defend himself in any way,
shape or form, which he did.
Speaker 3 (48:37):
He said he was acting as a fan. I understand
all that.
Speaker 5 (48:39):
You just have better expectation from an NFL player, right
But I really just think that there is a lot
of tension that has just been left over from the
past couple of seasons where they have failed to reach
what was expected of them, and it's just not going away.
Speaker 3 (48:58):
That's all because Josh Allen is so good. He is
he is and then.
Speaker 4 (49:03):
He is so good.
Speaker 5 (49:04):
The the fact that he is the most interceptions right now,
it's not because he's not good. It's because he feels
extra pressure every game. He's got to feel more and
more pressure to make the right play. And it's I've
said it, aside from Sevon Diggs, who is the next
the next star. They have a lot of good players
next to Stefan Diggs.
Speaker 3 (49:22):
But if Diggs is not it who is it.
Speaker 5 (49:25):
I just think there's a lot of built up frustration
over the years that they have not shaken this season,
and this season has added to it as well.
Speaker 4 (49:33):
We're seeing it just this week.
Speaker 5 (49:35):
Yeah, losing to the Jets Week one, Like, that's just
not a good note to start off on without Aaron, without.
Speaker 3 (49:39):
Aaron, So it is unfortunate. I will tell you, I
don't think we were wrong in the hype. I don't
because it's there. The talent is there, Like you said,
you saw it with your eyes. So I don't think we.
Speaker 5 (49:50):
Were wrong in the hype. I just think that it's
not the same team that we saw three years ago
and you were.
Speaker 4 (49:57):
Like, yeah, this is it. Yeah, they could win the
Super Yeah.
Speaker 2 (50:00):
That window I think is eh, Yeah, they're gonna need
some yeah, some help. Okay, we're moving on. We're gonna
stay in the AFC East. The Dolphins pretenders or contenders Now,
I guess you could say, like maybe even ask the question,
because they've yet to beat a team winning team, Yeah,
(50:21):
a winning record team. But I believe they're contenders, all right.
There's six and three obviously first in the AFC East.
But the reason I like them is Mike McDaniel. He
is the real deal. I feel like the players believe
in him. I believe in him. Anytime he talks like
I just fall in love with him even more, like
he is just as real as it gets. But they
(50:44):
also have the best offense in the league. They're first
in points per game, first and yards per game. And
I think that if they can they can win their
next few games, they'll be okay. Obviously the AFC is tough,
but if they can go four and one in their
next five games, I feel like a pretty confident to
get into a good playoff spot.
Speaker 11 (51:04):
Now.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
The remaining schedule Raiders at home, then they're at the
Jets at Commanders, Titans at home, Jets at home, Cowboys
at home, at Ravens home against the Bills.
Speaker 4 (51:17):
So their last three the worst schedule for them.
Speaker 2 (51:21):
Their last three are gonna be tough with the Cowboys, Ravens,
and Bills. But these next five, if they could go
four and one, I think they're pretty good.
Speaker 4 (51:31):
They're in a good spot.
Speaker 3 (51:32):
And I think they're also pretenders. I see their offense.
Speaker 5 (51:37):
Yeah, but how are you gonna tell me you lost
to the Bills and only scored twenty points?
Speaker 3 (51:43):
You lost to the Eagles and only scored seventeen. You
lost to the Chiefs and only scored fourteen.
Speaker 5 (51:51):
It wasn't like you both shot the lights out and
you lost forty three to forty two. Against a actual
good team, they do not perform, and it's like, yeah,
you'll make the playoffs. I'm not saying I think you'll
make the playoffs, but once we get there, I would
put them as pretenders, right, Yeah, I don't like what
(52:11):
I see.
Speaker 3 (52:12):
I disagree against a good team, I don't.
Speaker 4 (52:14):
Yeah, I think they'll adjust. I think they'll learn.
Speaker 2 (52:17):
I think they'll adjust, and I think they'll they'll put
up a good fight. But again, anything can happen in
the playoffs, right, as we've seen, like bad teams can
be good teams.
Speaker 5 (52:25):
Right, And you know you have to win ugly at times,
but it's just like the times you've lost, you really
have been like shut down compared to what you've done
against an easier team. Like I know we're not talking
about the copies, but like everybody was like talking about
their second win right now over the Giants, It's.
Speaker 3 (52:43):
Like, yeah, that's what they should have done.
Speaker 5 (52:47):
Why are we applauding them for having forty against Tommy
DeVito and the Giants.
Speaker 3 (52:52):
In fact, they should have had seventy. Like it's the.
Speaker 2 (52:55):
Same thing Devita, who still lives with his mom, he
still got a laundre at home, who still makes the
all of his dinner and everything.
Speaker 4 (53:01):
Right, that's ok the important games.
Speaker 3 (53:04):
It's hard to not see that.
Speaker 4 (53:05):
Yeah, you know, all right, let's get one more in here. No,
you're Chargers pretenders.
Speaker 2 (53:12):
They should be so much better than their record of
four and five.
Speaker 4 (53:18):
I mean, you would think.
Speaker 2 (53:21):
With the talent that they have, especially a quarterback the
caliber of Justin Herbert, again another like top tier quarterback
that we have. Just I don't think we've overhyped because
again I think he is an extremely talented guy. But
their issue is like they're scoring. Okay, they're definitely scoring,
but they're not stopping anybody on defense. And Brandon Staley
(53:43):
is definitely in the hot seat. He's a defensive coach,
and their defense is the issue.
Speaker 3 (53:48):
Their defense lets everyone back in the.
Speaker 4 (53:50):
Game, that is the issue.
Speaker 2 (53:53):
It is incredible, and they they're gonna have to win
some some big games. I'm gonna give you their upcoming schedule, Okay,
Packers in Green Bay, it's gonna be tough. Ravens at home.
Patriots at Patriots should be a layup. But again with
the Chargers, you never know. Broncos at home. Broncos are
(54:13):
trending up. Raiders should be a win, but they've looked
good without Scars.
Speaker 3 (54:19):
In the locker room after their second.
Speaker 2 (54:21):
Yeah, and then you got Bills at home, and then
you're at Broncos and then Chiefs at home, like they
don't have an easy path.
Speaker 3 (54:28):
Yeah, that see this one. I hate to say it.
This is where we were wrong on the hype clearly.
Speaker 2 (54:34):
Because it's the same I mean, wonder he's been a
one playoff game and he's lost.
Speaker 4 (54:40):
But you know, it's the same stuff. And they drew
it again. They blew it in the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (54:44):
They were up twenty seven to seven at the half
and blew it and lost then only scored three points
in the second half. Like you gotta win if you
want to be a contender, and they haven't shown any
There was no track record that they are trustworthy to.
Speaker 4 (55:00):
During the regular season and then to win in the postseason.
Speaker 5 (55:02):
And the way, like you just said, the way you're
losing is awful. It is not the way the Bills
are losing. That's not the case. No, here you are,
you're winning, and then.
Speaker 4 (55:14):
You blow it. You just blow it at it and
you blew it. Man more had times and then you
blew over and over.
Speaker 5 (55:20):
You did this last year. How have we not tightened up?
How have how are we not more disciplined?
Speaker 6 (55:26):
Well?
Speaker 2 (55:26):
I learned this last week. You say the chargers charge,
they do charge. I didn't know that was the thing.
I knew the Mets met. But the charge is charged.
Speaker 3 (55:33):
And the clippers clipper.
Speaker 4 (55:34):
And the clipper man two of your team. Girl, It
is a rule.
Speaker 2 (55:39):
It is rough, brutal, I know, all right.
Speaker 3 (55:43):
More more than the three, like you know what, I'm
out of all of them, they're the most pretenders for sure.
Speaker 11 (55:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (55:50):
It is so frustrating to watch. No questions, no way
to defend it. No you can't.
Speaker 2 (55:55):
All right, we're gonna take a quick break here, but
when we come back, we're gonna look at the game
of the week.
Speaker 4 (55:59):
This is great what you're listening to. Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (56:03):
Teedol McMillan is the deep man for the Wildcats. Oh man,
the snap gets.
Speaker 7 (56:07):
Behind him and an at the ed zones touchdown Arizona.
Speaker 4 (56:11):
Yous make a mistake, the Wildcats make them pay. Anthony
Bard scoop that up and goes in.
Speaker 3 (56:18):
Oh yeah, the Wildcats are up.
Speaker 5 (56:19):
You just sir, Brian Jeffries from learfield number seventeen Arizona
beating number twenty.
Speaker 3 (56:24):
Two UTAP thirty five to ten.
Speaker 5 (56:26):
Utah is approaching the red zone eight minutes ish left
in the game, so we'll see.
Speaker 4 (56:33):
Keep an eye on that one, we will.
Speaker 2 (56:34):
All right, you're listening to Fox Sports Saturday and Alex Curry
here with Monty Bilanios. We are broadcasting live from tyreck
dot com Studios in Los Angeles.
Speaker 4 (56:41):
And you guys, we have who.
Speaker 2 (56:45):
A rematch of the Super Bowl, the game of the
week Monday night football Eagles against the Chiefs, the Kelsey.
Speaker 4 (56:53):
Brothers going head to head.
Speaker 2 (56:55):
Taylor Swiss parents are meeting Tavis Kelsey's parents at this game.
This is the ultimate when sports meets pop culture event.
We have the Sexiest Man Alive finalist playing Taylor Swift's boyfriend.
But most importantly, I mean, these are the two best
teams in the NFL right now, Eagles top of the
(57:19):
NFC eight and one right now. Overall stats are better,
but just funny because like last week, when I was
talking about the Eagles being the best team of the
first half, I was like, they're not even the best
in stats. Stats don't matter, it's the product on the field,
and that's what the Chiefs do.
Speaker 4 (57:35):
Chiefs top of AFC seven and two. I mean this,
this could be one of the most watched games.
Speaker 2 (57:48):
Totally and definitely going to probably be the most watched
game of the season because not only has Travis Kelcey
just become an ultimate superstar celebrity with his new relationship
with Taylor Swift, swifties are obsessed not only with Travis,
but with his brother, ye Jason Kelsey. Like Jason was
(58:10):
talking in their podcast this week and he's like, yeah,
it's a little tough to go.
Speaker 4 (58:13):
To the airport these days.
Speaker 5 (58:14):
Like and they have such a look too, like you
can spot him from far away.
Speaker 4 (58:19):
Dad vibes may your dad.
Speaker 2 (58:21):
Like they could not be more polar opposite Jason and Travis.
But like, again, do we know if Taylor Swift's going
to be there? She has a break I think in
her concerts.
Speaker 3 (58:31):
From her parents supposed to be her.
Speaker 4 (58:33):
Parents are going to meet his parents.
Speaker 2 (58:35):
Yeah, And the only reason I say this is because
Travis Kelsey takes his game to a completely different level
when Taylor is in the building. With Taylor Swift there,
he averages one hundred and eight receiving yards per game.
Without her there, just over forty one. Yeah, receiving yards
per game.
Speaker 4 (58:52):
I mean that is a huge.
Speaker 2 (58:53):
No, he doubles, he's showing off, but I mean he
might even do that because her parents are going to
be in town. He just met miss Swift in Buenos
Aires last weekends.
Speaker 3 (59:05):
Okay, Buenosidis Buenos Aidas.
Speaker 5 (59:07):
That is Buenos Ais, Buenos Itis Idis.
Speaker 4 (59:12):
That's good.
Speaker 3 (59:14):
Bidis okay?
Speaker 2 (59:15):
He said it like that, and I was like, huh,
maybe he's saying it funky, but no, I am saying weird.
Speaker 4 (59:18):
I am wrong. Thank you for correcting me.
Speaker 2 (59:22):
It's hard, but I'm excited. This is like again, there's
so many things that are happening. It's Battle of the
MVPs right now. Like Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts are
tied for like first favorites, MVP favorites. This is going
to be an incredible game, Like I said super Bowl preview,
maybe but definitely a rematch.
Speaker 5 (59:43):
Yeah, there's a lot riding on this game, and it's
so crazy that less than a year ago, these teams
are different than they were.
Speaker 3 (59:52):
Like, we'll start with the Chiefs.
Speaker 5 (59:53):
The Chiefs offense is not you just mentioned Travis Kelce
up and down, up and down, up and down, and
he is a big part of their offense.
Speaker 4 (01:00:01):
I mean, he's Patrick Mahomes security player exactly. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:00:04):
So the offense has not been the offense that we
saw last year, right where they're scoring over thirty every game.
I think this season I can double check maybe one
game they've scored over thirty points, which last year was
not like them, but this year their offense is actually
better than it was last year. Then we move over
to the Eagles, where last year their defense was second overall.
(01:00:28):
That's not the situation right now with the Eagles. Their
secondary is not the greatest and not like last year.
So it is a rematch, but these teams look very
very different.
Speaker 4 (01:00:39):
It is.
Speaker 5 (01:00:39):
It's gonna be quite an interesting battle in Arrowhead. I
know we're gonna make our pick, and to be honest
with you, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:00:47):
I know, like I know we're not. We're gonna wait
till our last segment to make our picks.
Speaker 5 (01:00:54):
But like, there's so many different things in this game
than what we saw him do.
Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
But there's also like the outside hype and energy right
around it and like all of the now pop culture
attention that is on this game with the Kelsey brothers,
like on both sides, both.
Speaker 4 (01:01:12):
Sides are gonna get.
Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
It right, right, And I I.
Speaker 5 (01:01:15):
You know, did you watch the last game for the
Eagles Maybe it was the last game, the game before.
Speaker 3 (01:01:19):
I think Jalen hurts his knee.
Speaker 5 (01:01:21):
Everyone's banged up, but I think his knee is a
little more banged up than he wants it to be.
It's so I'm really curious to see him play this
game because you know he's going to do everything possible.
Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
Like yeah, not that he hasn't.
Speaker 4 (01:01:33):
Coming off a bye week.
Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
The Chiefs, both of them are yeah yeah, coming out
by so he's gonna be like this, like well rested,
well rested. You gotta if it was hurting in the
last game, like this was the perfect amount of time
before like their biggest game of the season so far. Yes, yeah,
this is this is gonna be electric, like must see TV.
Everything going on the field, off the field and every
(01:01:58):
I'm I'm so excited.
Speaker 4 (01:02:00):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 5 (01:02:02):
I'm just gonna confirm, yes, they both are coming off
of bye I know the Chiefs, so I just wanted
to confirm that.
Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
Who do you think it's a big game?
Speaker 1 (01:02:08):
Right?
Speaker 11 (01:02:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:02:10):
I think this is a bigger game for the Eagles
than it is for the Chiefs. Even though I think
the Eagles and I'm not a huge fan of Lego.
I told you what Eagles I've said. I was like,
I find them a little bit boring, you know, but
they are the most consistent team. They have the best
record for a reason. They their identity is the clearest, right, Yeah,
But I feel that this is more more of an
(01:02:31):
important game for them, Maybe because I we have seen.
Speaker 4 (01:02:34):
Patrick's lost to them in the Super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (01:02:37):
Maybe that, But also I feel like Patrick Mahomes loses
or the King the Chiefs lose and they're like, it's fine,
We've already won how many times, Like they probably can
get over it faster because they've been two times super
Bowl champions already. So I just think the pressures because
of that reason, the pressure is a little bit more
on the Eagles, even though they have the better record,
and I think.
Speaker 4 (01:02:55):
So far those are super Bowl champs. Obviously, different group.
Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
Of games, different group of I'm gonna say, I'm gonna
save my response to that.
Speaker 4 (01:03:02):
For but I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
How to pick. I just tell you that, I just
think it.
Speaker 4 (01:03:05):
Okay, I don't know. Twenty minutes a figure it out.
But right now, let's check in with Martin and see
what's trending.
Speaker 3 (01:03:13):
Martin, I don't know.
Speaker 10 (01:03:15):
I don't know either. I don't know either, But I
don't know. What is Travis Kelsey doing on the People's
Sexiest List? No, it's I mean, that's number one. What
is Jason?
Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
Because women like Burley men, it doesn't always have to
be the Amberger. You guys know, at the end of
the day, this is all the PR team. This is
strictly a PR team to whoever wins the Sexiest Man
Alive has the best PR team.
Speaker 10 (01:03:40):
Patrick Dempsey because he won it. But it is I'll
be honest. Jalen Hurts is right there.
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
He's right there, but his brother isn't dating Taylor Swift,
so everyone doesn't know his name and he doesn't have.
Speaker 4 (01:03:51):
A PR team.
Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
That's a good looking I want you, Matt.
Speaker 4 (01:03:56):
That's a good all right now?
Speaker 10 (01:03:57):
Anyway, all right, back to the business, all right. Number
one Joe leads to number eighteen Tennessee twenty four to ten.
That when just getting out of the halftime break fourteen
minutes left in the third quarter. Number two ranked Ohio
State with a thirteen to nothing lead over Minnesota at
the half. Number six drength Oregon with a thirty five
nothing lead over Arizona State midway through the second quarter. Iowa, Iowa,
Sam's actually at the game. They're trailing Illinois ten. I'm sorry,
(01:04:20):
ten to nine at the half. There we go. That's
a low scoring matchup right there. Number nineteenth rank Arizona
is pounding sixteenth three Eachah thirty five to ten and
number eighteenth James Madison trailed all day, but it's now
tied twenty apiece after a touchdown a two point conversion
with fifty seven seconds left in the game to app State.
Number nineteen not to Dame of wake Forest, the Fighting
Irish with a twenty four to seven lead in the
(01:04:41):
third quarter. Clemson leeds Number twenty three North Carolina fourteen
to seven at the half, and number twenty fourth ranth
to Oklahoma State losing to Houston twenty three to nine,
and uh Monci and Alex back to you.
Speaker 2 (01:04:54):

Speaker 2 (01:05:27):
So if you follow me at Alex Underscore Curry, Instagram, Twitter,
ex Monsey, at Monty Bilano's.
Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
Across social media.
Speaker 2 (01:05:36):
Yeah, yeah, we will make it easy for you. Yes,
come to our page. Here is the link to listen. Yes,
that months a lot happening in Major League Baseball off season.
I know the Oakland A's are moving to Vegas. We'll
get to that in a little bit. But it was
also Awards week and we got some crazy history five
(01:05:59):
unanimous winners, both MVPs, both Rookies of the Year and
Asai Young And honestly, I think we're getting more unanimous
winners because of our access to advanced stats right now,
Like this is why they are this good. Look at
the answers, make your pick. This is it because again,
like we have not seen this many unanimous winners in
(01:06:21):
the last decade. But let's start with the MVPs because
it's the first time in history that both the American
League and the National League MVPs were voted in unanimously.
The NL MVP Ronald Acunya junior, first ever forty seventy season.
Speaker 4 (01:06:36):
That felt like a no brainner.
Speaker 2 (01:06:39):
Yeh, Yeah, Mookie Bets came in second, but you cannot
compare history that Ronald a'cunya made to a great season
of Mookie Bets.
Speaker 5 (01:06:48):
Yeah, and then Mookie fell off a tiny little bit,
Like what was it month of September.
Speaker 2 (01:06:53):
May he had he had like one of the best months,
and then yeah, so what's Exceptember?
Speaker 3 (01:07:00):
I think it was he had the best month of.
Speaker 4 (01:07:02):
Like August, July, August.
Speaker 2 (01:07:05):
Ever, Yeah, so he had like one of the best
August where everybody thought he but like, so did the Dodgers, right,
So it was sure the Dodgers went as Mookie Bets went.
Speaker 4 (01:07:15):
The Dodgers Dodgers.
Speaker 3 (01:07:16):
As expected as we get to the postseason.
Speaker 5 (01:07:18):
But Mookie Bets, Yeah, like there was that month where
everybody was like, oh, he's edging out Ronald Acunya, this
is what's going to put him in front.
Speaker 4 (01:07:26):
But it did.
Speaker 3 (01:07:27):
He didn't sustain.
Speaker 5 (01:07:29):
I was surprised that it was unanimous, to be honest
with you, for Ronald Acunya, I thought, I want it
because I I do think that the fact that Mookie
Bets started second base, played shortstop, the mount of home
runs leading off in the outfield play, and played the office.
I thought, I just didn't think it would be unanimous.
Speaker 2 (01:07:48):
Even though he was handed like he got like he
was second place, he was definitely the second best, So sure,
I just I was just.
Speaker 3 (01:07:53):
A little surprised, even though I thought Ronald was gonna
win it. When I read that, I was like, oh.
Speaker 4 (01:07:58):
I just thought that was good.
Speaker 3 (01:08:00):
Yeah, it was one the right call. Yeah, it was
just a little to be I was a little bit.
Speaker 4 (01:08:04):
Like, oh, okay, interesting, you know what else was the
right call?
Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
Show heo Tani that's right, first player ever to win
two MVPs unanimously crazy. I mean as a hitter, was incredible.
As a pitcher ten and five, a three point one
for EUR one hundred and sixty seven strikeouts.
Speaker 4 (01:08:23):
I'm gonna give you a little fun fact here.
Speaker 2 (01:08:25):
Okay, the Angels are the last team to have five
MVPs in a ten year stretch.
Speaker 3 (01:08:33):
That's not a fun fact.
Speaker 2 (01:08:34):
Meaning they've had two of the best players in baseball
over the last decade and neither Mike Trout or show
Heyo Tani has ever won a playoff game.
Speaker 3 (01:08:43):
That's so it's not a fun fact.
Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
Honestly, I don't understand how that is possible really, But again,
it's the main reason why you're gonna see shoe Heo
Tani in a different uniform next season. The two time
MVP is now a free agent, so we are officially
in sho Heyo Tani watch. And he said he wants
to win, he wants culture, he wants to get paid,
which he's gonna get somewhere like half a billion at least.
(01:09:07):
But remember he got elbow surgery. That's Tommy John, but
they're not calling it Tommy John. But it's the ucl
like repair. So it's definitely Tommy John, but they're not
calling it that, so he won't pitch it all next season.
He's just gonna be a DH. But you're getting a
co ace once he's back healthy, and there's.
Speaker 4 (01:09:25):
Some like really good possible landing spots.
Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
Yeah, I've been saying this from day one.
Speaker 4 (01:09:31):
I think Dodgers are the top spot. They can win.
Speaker 2 (01:09:36):
They have the money, they have the culture on the
West Coast. But the Cubs are also like a big
rumored team right now to be going hard hard in
the paint for sho Heyo TONI.
Speaker 4 (01:09:46):
Apparently they're being the most aggressive.
Speaker 2 (01:09:48):
They just paid their new coach the biggest contract in history,
So you're not gonna pay a coach a contract like
that and not go after a big free agent, especially
after losing a guy like Cody Bellinger who's now a
free agent.
Speaker 4 (01:10:01):
What do you think?
Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
You know?
Speaker 5 (01:10:02):
From the beginning, I have questioned whether Otani wants to
be a Dodger.
Speaker 3 (01:10:06):
I think it's hard to be a Dodger.
Speaker 5 (01:10:08):
I think he probably has relationships, Like it's impossible for
me to not think that you Darvish has said, you
don't want to be a Dodger you.
Speaker 3 (01:10:18):
Darvish was literally.
Speaker 5 (01:10:20):
Driven out of la from fans after the twenty seventeen season.
Speaker 3 (01:10:23):
Fans are rough at Dodger fans are hard, They're harsh.
Speaker 2 (01:10:27):
They every team that has a quote culture is going
to be hard.
Speaker 4 (01:10:32):
Yeah, York teams.
Speaker 3 (01:10:33):
Yeah no, no, no, no.
Speaker 5 (01:10:35):
You running over Kershaw's jersey in the parking lot after
a game that you lost is not cool.
Speaker 3 (01:10:40):
No, that's not cool. There's a difference that there, and
it's not.
Speaker 5 (01:10:44):
The entire Dodger fan base. We're Dodger fans, yeah, but
there are. That's what sticks out right, Like that's that
left a sour taste in my mouth? What are you
doing running over Kershaw's jersey? All he has done is
been a true Dodger year and year and year, and
you're gonna run over his jersey after one game that
they lock in the parking lot. I don't like that,
So I have I've always wondered does he really want
(01:11:05):
to be under the spotlight of the Dodgers.
Speaker 4 (01:11:08):
So he's under the biggest spotlight.
Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
His goal, his number one goal was to change the
game and grow the game right to get and he
has to like know his name outside of baseball, and
then because they know his name, want to come in
and fall in love and follow him in the game
of baseball, which he is already doing. He is the
greatest player we have ever seen in the game of baseball,
(01:11:31):
the most elite two way player.
Speaker 4 (01:11:33):
He is an ace style pitcher and a power hitter.
Speaker 2 (01:11:36):
Who was leading the league at home runs for a
good chunk of the season before he got injured.
Speaker 4 (01:11:39):
Yeah, the last month.
Speaker 3 (01:11:41):
Everything about him is true and accurate. He is amazing.
It has nothing to do with that.
Speaker 5 (01:11:45):
I have just from the beginning really wondered if that's
what he wants. Oh yeah, I can see him wanting
to be a Cup too though. That would be a
great franchise to go play in Chicago. I mean, they
say he doesn't want cold weather. They say he doesn't
want that, that he'd rather be in better way.
Speaker 2 (01:12:03):
There are so many things. What better weather, like on
the West coast, because it's easier for his family to travel,
to travel his Japanese audience to watch the time.
Speaker 4 (01:12:10):
The time difference is a little easier on the West Coast.
Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
I think that was a good chunk of his first
like first decision of where he was going. Also didn't
want to go to a place that maybe had like
a Japanese player that was established there before. He wanted
to create his own name and wanted to create his
own legacy. And he's he's done that.
Speaker 1 (01:12:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:12:29):
Oh, he wanted like Sho Tani there.
Speaker 2 (01:12:33):
I don't know if we'll ever see a player like
him ever again, which we are with his discipline, what
we are?
Speaker 3 (01:12:40):
Sorry, I don't mean to cut you off. I was like,
we are because little little boys are seeing this.
Speaker 2 (01:12:44):
Yeah, but he also went to like a baseball academy
in Japan where he like, the moment he woke up,
he was playing baseball, the moment he like in between
classes was playing baseball.
Speaker 4 (01:12:52):
They didn't have their phones, he wasn't on social media.
Speaker 6 (01:12:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:12:55):
So if he if there's a player.
Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
That comes out of like one of those schools with
that kind of discipline, with the talent and the power
that yes, maybe, but this man is he is his life,
his baseball his life.
Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
Yeah. Is baseball a recent story?
Speaker 5 (01:13:13):
Yeah, I'm sure you saw it that supposedly the Dodgers
are also super interested in my.
Speaker 4 (01:13:17):
I'm gonna say I made this tell.
Speaker 2 (01:13:19):
I made this call two months ago before the playoffs
started when the Angels like officially said they were open
to the idea of trading Mike Trout. And we've already
been talking about how interested the Dodgers were in Otani.
They need power, hitting, they need pitching, I said. I
was like, could you imagine Dodgers have the farm system
(01:13:40):
to be able to trade for a guy like the Trout,
And this is what the Angels need to do because
they have no farm system. They screwed that whole situation up.
Trade for Trout, pay for Otani.
Speaker 11 (01:13:49):
M h.
Speaker 2 (01:13:50):
It would be incredible as a fan of both the
Angels and the Dodgers, because now I get to sell
root for my two favorite players for sure on another
one of my favorite teams.
Speaker 4 (01:13:57):
I don't think Artie Marina would go for it.
Speaker 2 (01:13:58):
That's what, because he would give that the Dodgers and
the Angels rivalry and like them being the bigger team
in LA. I don't know if Artie Moreno has has
it in him to allow that to happen. I think
it would be incredible and I would be so happy.
I get so much crap for loving both the Angels
and the Dodgers, but you got I was a born
(01:14:20):
and raised Dodger fan. My dad had season tickets before
I was born. I was the baby like almost falling
off the edges he was trying to catch a foul
ball on the field, decked out in Dodger gear. And
then my very first job out of college, I was
a part of the Angels broadcast for ten years. That
is also a part of my family. I am allowed
to be a fan of both of these teams. I
love both of these teams wholeheartedly. They're in different leagues.
That's okay, Get off my case. I like all your
(01:14:42):
favorite players were fans of different teams before they started
playing for whatever team they were on.
Speaker 5 (01:14:45):
I one hundred percent agree that there are situations where
there are exceptions to the rule, and you can be
fans of two different teams and.
Speaker 3 (01:14:51):
You are one of them.
Speaker 4 (01:14:52):
Thank you. I'd like to say I got traded.
Speaker 3 (01:14:53):
Yeah, no, one of them. I have one question for you.
Speaker 5 (01:14:57):
I know we gotta go to break soon, because you
are so in baseball that you watched the whole season
from beginning to end.
Speaker 3 (01:15:04):
Corbin Burns was on a podcast recently, and I make
this quick.
Speaker 5 (01:15:07):
You know how MLB's thinking of moving the pitchclock from
twenty to eighteen seconds. He says that he thinks a
lot of these long term injuries that have happened to
pitchers are because of the pitchclock, and if the league
wants to shave seven more minutes, because that's what it
would shave by bringing the pitchclock down to eighteen, we're
going to keep seeing long term injuries.
Speaker 4 (01:15:28):
Do you think that I need to see this? I
don't know the science behind it.
Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
Like, that's hard because I think the pitchclock completely changed
the game of baseball.
Speaker 4 (01:15:35):
It did.
Speaker 2 (01:15:36):
It was the best thing that Major League Baseball could
have done.
Speaker 4 (01:15:39):
Right. It did.
Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
The whole point was to get fans more engaged and
make the game quicker. Games were averaging under three hours.
Attendance was up, viewership was up. Players were having more
fun and were more engaged. We saw home run celebrations
for the first time, we saw emotions, we saw batflips.
The pitchclock was the best thing that could have happened
(01:16:01):
to the game of baseball.
Speaker 4 (01:16:02):
So it's tough. I don't know. Yeah, I can't. I
don't have the science behind it.
Speaker 2 (01:16:08):
And you can't say this is the reason that someone
hurt their elbow, show that people have been pitching and
like doing specialty pitches since like high school, it's wear
and tear. All right, We're gonna take one more break
when we come back. Monci and I are giving some
NFL pigs. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (01:16:25):
I don't know what to Big.
Speaker 12 (01:16:27):
Hartman stands in the shotgun on his forty es to
me behind him now walks up one yard to the
left of Hartman. He points to his right and he
drops back two steps, looking over the middle, looking pots
one deep down the middle wide opening the end zone.
Speaker 1 (01:16:39):
Tobias Merriweather touched down.
Speaker 5 (01:16:41):
Irish the Notre Dame Radium Network is what you just
heard as Sam Hartman faces his old school Alex but
the fighting Irish are beating the Demon Deacons thirty one
to seven, five minutes left in the third quarter. Sam
Hartman eighteen of twenty five two hundred and twelve yards
three to which downs against as former who.
Speaker 2 (01:17:02):
That was the Progressive play of the day, brought to

plays Bundle and Save at Progressive dot Com. You are
listening to Fox Sports Saturday Am. Alex Curry here with
Monty Bilanios. We are broadcasting live from Tyrek dot com
(01:17:23):
studios in Los Angeles, and it is time for some
NFL game picks. So producer Brandon lead us through. But
first of all, what is our updated score?
Speaker 13 (01:17:32):
So the updated scores with last week's records. Okay, and
you both went three on one because you both picked
the same game. Now, yeah, you had the same.
Speaker 3 (01:17:39):
Picks, not on purpose, Okay, I went to watch.
Speaker 13 (01:17:41):
Last week updated the record, so.
Speaker 5 (01:17:43):
To remove the two weeks that Alex is complaining about
because she was I wear here not my picks.
Speaker 13 (01:17:48):
So she's nineteen nine on the season, okay, and monsiere twenty.
Speaker 4 (01:17:52):
Five and eleven day.
Speaker 13 (01:17:53):
Yeah, okay, all right, So you guys already mentioned this
game before a little earlier.
Speaker 4 (01:18:00):
Staring Moncy.
Speaker 13 (01:18:01):
Okay, I.
Speaker 3 (01:18:04):
Think in that's good.
Speaker 4 (01:18:05):
Be better, Curry, be better. No, man, this season has
been rough, bro stop. Okay, let's go.
Speaker 13 (01:18:11):
We talked about this game a little bit earlier.
Speaker 4 (01:18:13):
Eagles at the Chiefs.
Speaker 13 (01:18:14):
Chiefs favored by two and a half.
Speaker 4 (01:18:16):
In this one. There is so much emotion in this game.
Speaker 2 (01:18:19):
Like I said, super Bowl rematch, possible Super Bowl preview,
the Kelsey Brothers, Bull, Taylor Swift and her parents there.
I'm gonna take the Chiefs because I've learned my lesson
picking against Patrick Mahomes at home, so I it can
really go. This is a coin flip game just because
both teams are so great.
Speaker 4 (01:18:38):
But I'm gonna go with mahoone and the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (01:18:42):
I don't. I don't like this.
Speaker 4 (01:18:44):
Do you want to pick against me? Just so we go.
Speaker 5 (01:18:45):
I'm gonna go Eagles and not just it's you said,
it's a coin flip, right like I I'm gonna go.
Speaker 3 (01:18:53):
I'm gonna go with the and I don't like that answer.
Speaker 4 (01:18:57):
I'm gonna go like what you want to go with?
Speaker 3 (01:18:58):
No, I just don't know the answer.
Speaker 5 (01:19:00):
Okay, I'm gonna go that the Eagles win an arrowhead.
That's tough, but I'm gonna go with it.
Speaker 13 (01:19:06):
All right? Interesting, moving on, We got the Seattle Seahawks.
Man to get that one out once Seattle Seahawks on
the road minus one at the Rams, so Moncey will
go first.
Speaker 3 (01:19:16):
I get it. Matthew Stafford is back. That doesn't matter.
I'm gonna take the Seahawks on this one.
Speaker 4 (01:19:22):
Ah, I'm gonna take the Rams here.
Speaker 2 (01:19:25):
I got Stafford back, He's three and zero against the
Seahawks since joining the Rams, and they're healthy. Cooper cup
Phukunnakua's feeling good. I think this is gonna be like
a full team together, feeling it in La.
Speaker 4 (01:19:40):
Rams are gonna take this one, all right.
Speaker 13 (01:19:42):
The Vikings are. The Vikings are riding the josh Dobbs
high right now. Broncos dropping off a big win against
the Bills on Monday Night, Broncos favored in this one
by two and a half. Vikings at the Broncos. Who
you got, Moncy, Alex, I apologize.
Speaker 4 (01:19:57):
So, yeah, it's a short week for the right.
Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
Yeah, they're coming off like a big win, and they've
been on a hot streak three straight wins against good
teams Packers, Chiefs, Bills. But Vikings with Joshua Dobbs has
been great. Do we know about Justin Jefferson's yet? Is
he still questionable?
Speaker 4 (01:20:17):
I don't know. If he's down.
Speaker 2 (01:20:19):
He's not playing, he's not playing, you know what, I'm
still gonna pick the Vikings.
Speaker 4 (01:20:25):
I'm gonna I'm gonna ride the Dobbs, the Dobs train.
Speaker 3 (01:20:27):
I'm with you.
Speaker 5 (01:20:28):
I'm gonna ride the Dobs train. I'm going Vikings as well.
I'm riding the Dobs train. I don't know, I don't
know if it's right, I don't know, but I'm gonna
ride that track.
Speaker 4 (01:20:35):
Okay, okay, we got one more.
Speaker 13 (01:20:37):
All right, big game this week, Jets at the Buffalo Bills.
Buffalo looking to get back on track after firing their
offensive coordinator. The Bills are actually favored by seven in
this one. So Monsie, you first, Bills.
Speaker 5 (01:20:50):
Need to win or else everyone's getting fired, including Josh
Allen the Bills betch Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:20:56):
No fired, literally no, I out the door.
Speaker 4 (01:20:59):
Yeah, so you're taking the Bill.
Speaker 3 (01:21:00):
I'm digging the Bills.
Speaker 4 (01:21:01):
The Bills have had a.
Speaker 2 (01:21:01):
Tough run, bad loss this week, players only meeting fire
their oced.
Speaker 4 (01:21:07):
They need a bounce back game.
Speaker 2 (01:21:10):
Jets won the first matchup of the season, like without
Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (01:21:15):
When Rodgers went down, they just had a player's only meeting.
Speaker 3 (01:21:18):
This week.
Speaker 2 (01:21:20):
I'm gonna take the Bills because this is a must
win for them. This is like if you want to
keep your season alive. I'm going Bills, all right, Thank
you so much for spending your Saturday afternoon with Montemi.
We'll see you next week, same time, at same place.
Have a great Thanksgiving week.
Speaker 4 (01:21:34):
Bye,
