this all you're gonna give me is one game? Not
even in somebody's home field in Dublin. Did you see
them talking to the local people out there in Dublin
when They're like, can you name one college football team?
And one guy said the Dodgers. Wow, what guy said

the Yankees? And then he walked up to one guy
he said, can you name one mascot? And he goes
Mickey Mouse, which AD's a pretty good guess.

As I mean, some college out there's nickname has to
be Dodgers and Yankees.

It was not pretty mark. I think he was like
three for six, like twenty yards passing, maybe less than that,
got sacked five times, lost like a total of forty
one yards. Dylan Gabriel in return looked absolutely fantastic and

you know, why would you pull Shador Sanders out before
the last drive a chance to make amends, to go
ahead and lead him to the game winning drive because

stock in what happened to Sir Door Sanders? They asked
him after the game, are you gonna make this team?
He said, obviously, I don't know. Are they gonna put
him on the practice squad and then he's opened to
somebody else? But what's gonna happen here? And what about

First of all, I mean especially week three or four,
however you want to look at it in the preseason.
I have a hard time really putting any stock into
anything because it's not just that Shador is going against
the third string or the fourth string, but that's what's
around him also, right, that's his offensive line is the
third string in the fourth string. He got shocked five

times the people he's throwing to our third string, four string.

So we're supposed to judge him by guy, No.

You bought a couple of rookie quarterbacks. You get what
you get. This is going to take him inte like

Like, Cleveland is getting exactly what they signed up for.
And and I would be shocked if they're going to
draft sho door standers at the time. They did have
him start the first preseason game, let him show up
with an entourage and theme music and then cut him

And now if you're gonna sign this many quarterbacks and
still have Deshaun Watson's contract hanging over your head right
like this is of course the way that this was
going to play out, and neither of these guys is
gonna be ready to go play a real football game

in two weeks. That's I mean, what what rookie quarterback
other than cam Ward is doing that this year?

Well, first of all, I don't see how he could
even make the team. You're gonna have two quarterbacks, right,
so that's what's gonna be. Joe Flacco, you can carry three,
and okay, r Flacco, you'll have Dylan Gabe well, Joe
Flacco and Pickett I'm assuming, but let's forget about Pickkett
for a second hurt all preseason, Dylan Gabriel looked good.
No reason to cut him, and then you're gonna have

to put somebody on the practice squad, which makes them available.

Why would I keep Kenny Pickett over Shador Sanders. I
know who one of them is, the other one I
don't know, and I the one that I do know,
I don't want, So why would I do that?

Doc Prescott.

Doc Prescott was one of the only people who had
an amazing preseason game and it actually turned into a
career and now he's the highest paid play or in
the league. But I don't know, Arnie, Like to me,
Cleveland is in full exploration mode, and so why not
not explore, like under no circumstances where we gonna have
final answers on August twenty third about Shador Sanders or

Will you know you do have to decide how many
are you gonna keep on your roster? Sure? Sure, And
I don't know if you're gonna keep three, you know,
maybe you're gonna keep two. And then one on on
the practice squad or I.

Think most teams are gonna keep three now, especially because
you get that sort of like you get that emergency
roster spot, the brock Purty rule or whatever happened in
the NFC title game few years ago where they don't
want people to end up playing the wildcat or whatever.

And if I'm Cleveland, that's what I would do because
I don't really see a reason not.

more games, which is what Cleveland needs to do right
now anyway, so they can get the number one pick.

Yeah, I if I would think that, I would start
with Joe Flacco, but things if they go south, I
think Dylan Gabriel is going to be my backup. I'm
going to get him in right there and see what
he can do. I've been impressed when he's done pre season.
I know you say you got to take it with

not giving me anything else to grade these guys at

show this week, He's like understand that during the month
of August, the three preseason games. Those are the least
important three days of August as far as a coach

is concerned, because it is you are kind of all
over the place, and yes, you're evaluating guys, but guys
are in all kinds of weird situations. You got you know,
you might have a grocery clerk at left tackle and
you know what I mean, Like it's really hard, and
so that's all that we see.

But these coaches are with them all day, every day.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
You know, people on Twitter were upset. When I say people,
a lot of people took the Twitter in the media,
they were upset Tyler Hunley got to lead the last
drive and Shudara Sanders didn't have a chance to make
amends and you know, get the field goal, get them
to win and all that. Does that make a difference.
Does it show Cleveland's already made their decision or you
don't read anything into that.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
I think that that shows that no matter what happens
with Shador Sanders, people will be upset on Twitter.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
As soon as it asks I I agree with right.

I mean, that's just k We got Caitlin Clark, we
got your door Sanders. There's a few athletes in the
world where it does not matter what they do if
they start with their left leg.

People wanted him to start with their right.

One hundred percent agree on that. I got to tell you,
you know, he's going to be polarizing. I don't think
he's going to go ahead and get playing time for
a while unless things go south real fast or enlist,

going to be all that good. I would like to
see what he's going to be able to pull off.
I just don't think he's good is the rest of

the quarterbacks on the roster. I think he's the fifth
best quarterback out of all five. Why are you so
so hung up on seeing and what makes you think
he's an NFL quarterback just based on that first game
or what he didn't in college or.

know I'm looking at it more, Arnie. In terms of
a situation, if I'm Cleveland, what do I have to
gain by having Kenny Pickett on the roster? Yeah, I
want to find out who should dor is I have?

with any preconceptions. I say this every year, the draft

grades that come out the day after the draft, or
the stupidest content that our industry creates. It's the dumbest
thing I've ever heard in my life. When somebody it's

Fantasy draft today, you know everybody's walking around. I love

would like to play If things go south for the Giants,
who have a real tough schedule, I'd like to get
him in as soon as possible because I think this

guy's the real deal. They may have gotten to steal

I don't know if you're paying attention to that. Kansas
twenty four to seven over Fresno and stand for ten
to seven over Hawaii just after the first.

Do you want do you want my honest got my
honest answer?

Yeah, I already told you I refuse to pay attention
to a Hawaii game that's played this early.

This is not the way that it's supposed to work.

the day you put everything you have or you don't
have it a little bucket in front of you.

They look so bad. And I'm thinking that after watching

Kingle Williams, you know, let's see if this guy really
has his big year and maybe he's ready to break
on out, and you know, and and then you read

the stuff that they were doing the practices, uh, and
they were colaboring everybody and They're you know, have a
different attitude up there, and I'm like, you know, maybe
I was wrong about them, and maybe I should put
Chicago higher and and maybe get into the playoffs this year.
Maybe I was wrong about them.

So you're talking about a team going north that that
you kind of south.

Yeah, if I like I got one of each.

Actually, I tell you who I'm starting to be convinced
is probably a second place team in their division and
therefore a very good shot at a wildcard team this
year is the New England Patriots.

I you know, like Drake May was like fine last year,
but kind of getting the vibe of watching him a
