Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
God, let's go sticking, genius, Let's go down the drain.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
How you hanging in there right now?

Speaker 2 (00:10):
The season's going down the drain.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Leg a B.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Fitch down the toilet for grind?

Speaker 3 (00:15):
No, come on, what do you mean?

Speaker 1 (00:17):
No?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Come on? You know the Dolphins have been disappointing me
since nineteen seventy two, fifty two years now.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
They've been talking so far this shit.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
They they haven't given me a significant win. All I
wanted to do was win the AFC East. We're up
fourteen to seven, and you have to give up the
longest putt return in Bill's history. It was like a
one hundred and fifty yard putt return.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
I would never know that this team lets you down
from someone who has done every game but last weekend.
Good timing on my part during the college, during the
NFL season, you bolted out one weekend two. By the way,
you talk, none of this matters, you, uh, because if
you lose.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
For bowling steak here, what do you mean nothing matters?

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Well, all I've heard from you is how much everyone
else sucks. Kansas City sucks. They're not So you're gonna
go to Kansas City. And that's that's easy money, is
what you've always told me. So why are you concerned.
I listened to you, Annie, I've listened to you all
season long. None of this should be concerning because of
the dominance of the Dolphins. It's all we've heard for long.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
I didn't know we'd have a mass unit out there.
The man Ginko went down. Man Ginko for credit. Bills
have as many injuries as you do. Well, we're not
gonna play them again. Now we're gonna go ahead, and
I feel confident going into Kansas City.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
You should.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
But as a two seed you get the two home games.
That means you're pretty much gonna go ahead and fight
it out with Baltimore. Uh to go to the super
Bowl now he can't do it with the road games
like this. It's ridigulous. All the injuries we're dropping, like
everyone lies stropping when everybody's heard nobody now stop it.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
My god, I hear it.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
All we've heard.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
All season long is how great the doll Fins are,
how no one can stop you.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
That's your quarterback, that's your defense.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
You watch the game, it took up.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Yeah, the field should be up by four touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
The ball was deflected off my guy's helmet. For crying
out loud, you can't make that stuff up.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Yeah, and then you literally had two of the worst
red zone interceptions.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
I think I've ever seen a fumble.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
They've given it to you three times, three times, Arnie,
and you gave up a punt return from the five.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Bro, what's time to this team is a choke.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
They are chokers, and you gotta embrace out. They had
everything in front of him. You talked all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Awesome.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Whoa, we had a city. We had to sit here
and take it. We had to take it all year long.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Oh and now whatever which comes to shove your show
fifteen minutes away from one in the AFCs to pretty
much wo woen in the super Bowl. And now look
that one's just it's all over.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
I don't know how it could go from being fifteen
minute way Wow, what a guts He called fourth down
from that five yard line because they don't more than
they pick it up, No they don't. They're up twenty
one to fourteen. The Bills go for it on fourth
and one on their own thirty five yard line.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Shades of what was that was that?

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Belichick and like the early twenty twenty ten, two thousand
and eight or so, whenever he did that with the
Patriots against the Colts.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
But no, I don't know how you can allow your
confidence to be shaken because all you've told is this,
how bad I mean, Kansas City, you called them chokers,
you called.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I'm not worried about Kansas City.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Okay, so you've got your win next week.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Oh, that's that's pretty much guaranteed.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
But this weekend was pretty much guaranteed too, and the
weekend before that against the Wave.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
I didn't know that there was not going to be wattle. No,
moster van Ginkle gone with an injury.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Even though what I fished, Van Ginkle played until he
got it.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
He was one of my favorite players. What about wait
wait wait, who else was hurt? Oh? Xavier was hurt?
I mean god, I mean we're dropping like flies, Chris
Let's I mean you you're listening to the broadcast. We
have we have guys playing. One guy ingram I mean
he looks bigger than I am. This guy weigh three
hundred pounds and trying to cover somebody. It's ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Everyone has injuries at this time of year.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
So far in your losses this year, you've blamed the
officials and you've blamed injuries. Maybe it's time to accept
that Josh Allen shouldn't be what's the total number of
yards that Josh Allen has rushed for tonight? Maybe the
starting quarterback for the opposing team shouldn't be averaging five
yards per carry against you.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Maybe that would make a little bit of a difference tonight.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Yeah, we got the turnovers too. You're supposed to win
when you get three turnovers, two picks and and the fumbles.
So yeah, it doesn't doesn't look like it's gonna happen.
We're gonna have to go into Kansas City when it's
what is it gonna be like ten degrees there?

Speaker 4 (04:48):
We're getting a winter storm next week in the Midwest
that's hitting on Thursday.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Of course you are, of course you are.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
I'm not even kidding.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
I know it's gonna be like ten degrees right.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Might even be colder than that. On uh on?

Speaker 2 (05:04):
When would you play here? You would play Friday, Saturday night,
Saturday Night, which I think benefits us being in the call.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
But yeah, it's four degrees on Saturday night. I'm sure
that really benefits the Chiefs. All right, excuse me the
Dolphins four degrees, Arnie, Now you explain to me how
that benefits Miami on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Everybody is so everybody's so much slower in the call
for Tyreek Hill. So right, can we get right to
the to the to the tweets where JP writes and Arnie,
the m VP of Tonight's gave more number one thirteen?
How many allegal man downfield calls? Whether tonight there should
have been more? I think there was like a hundred.

(05:43):
There should have been more. Hundred, Yeah, because you manutfield,
because you can't do.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
That literally showing you that you're breaking the rules constantly.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
I've been getting away with that.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Now gee dude, if that was happening and the Bills
are doing that the Dolphins, you'd be losing your mind.
I mean, you've got seventy nine running routes. Essentially your
sinner is the hook guy at the first down marker
before they throw the football. Come on, man, that you
can complain about that? Do you have anything else you
want to complain about? Tonight is somewhere on the turf,
maybe the weather, whether there are too many Bills fans

(06:18):
there I mean, what else you gonna make up here
to complain? I guess bullet Whenever the Sooners lost to Arizona,
I took it.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Texted you right away.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
I took it. You didn't show up to work.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
I was off that night. Can't help it. But you're
not taking it. This is why you're not on a fence.
Then you're soft. That's what your team got beat. You
gotta take your l Well.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
You know what, though there's still three what ten left
in the game, you're gonna get the football backs?

Speaker 2 (06:43):
No, no, no, we got to hold them here. If
you don't hold them here, it's it's pretty much done.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
So I mean a court in thirteen. You're not gonna
give up something on there.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
We did, and you know we did. But you're watching
the game and you're tormenting me.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
No, I'm delayed. I'm watching Josh Allen run right now,
run guys for a first Buffalo. Oh wait, there's a flag.
What's the flag?

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Arm? It's gonna be on Miami. I will bet you watch.
I promise you it's gonna be on Miami. What do
you want to about on a simple running play, it's
gonna be on me. Of course, is on.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Miami yaylating shot broadcasting live from the fifty five.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
He's the best guy in the Buffalo bales, number fifty
five of the striped shirt. I can't stop this guy.
He's just too tough for me to stop.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Can I? Can I do the sponsor reading real quick?

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Go ahead? Did it? Sponsor by number fifty five?

Speaker 4 (07:32):
The official he's grabbing his jersey while he's running.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
He was number fifty five.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
I did.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
I didn't think I'd have to worry about this guy. Obviously,
I did my back.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
I'm sorry I can't get the sponsor reads in.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Go ahead.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
I try to a little bit later on in the show. Stuff.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
Oh my gosh, man, I why do you always have excuses?
Why can't you just take your team's losses? Look, why
can't you take your you know what?

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Bothers me? Because you're used to rooting for a loser.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
All right, you just talked about the Dolphins breaking your
heart for the last forty years.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
So contreiermuffrere? Yeah, who do the same thing? Is that French?

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Min?

Speaker 5 (08:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:10):
I looked it up before the show started.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Okay, that's what I thought you'd But as.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
We come to you live from the tire rack dot
Com studios. Tyrack dot com, we'll help you get there
on unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free road hazard protection,
and over ten thousand were recommended installers. Tire rack dot
com the way tire buying should be. The Bills have
just picked up a couple of yards on first down.
There's two fifty nine left in the game. Miami has

(08:33):
burned its final timeout. They're gonna have to get a
first down. I mean, you're gonna get the football back
because you'll get the two minute warning.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Well, they're gonna get a first They've had the ball
for like twenty eight minutes now. This drive it's ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Oh, let's see, when.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Did this drive start? That's actually a fair point. I
feel like they've been on started in the first quarter.
It did not start well, that's when you still that's
when it was still scoreless, so you couldn't have started
that long. This drive started with six fourteen left in
the fourth course, of course, so now we're we're approaching
a four minute drive from this point forward. And let

(09:08):
me just let me see here, you've been complaining about
uh penalties quite a bit. Yeah, each team has the
same amount of penalties. In fact, Buffalo has one more
penalty called on then than the Dolphins do.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
I love when they go out of bounds, but they
keep the clock going even though it's obvious they're going
out of bounds. So the whole season comes down to this,
to this third down play. The whole super Bowl comes
down to this third down play.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
But think about this for a moment. What you're saying.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
You still think you're gonna go to Kansas City and
win next weekend.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
This I guarantee you again, Arnie.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
I don't know if you will be healthy, but your
guarantees are kind of worthless.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
That's not true. It though I've been dead on this year.
Look at the Cowboys. Look how good they're doing.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Yeah, I look at the Dolphins.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
My goodness, it's gonna be fourth down. Are they gonna
go forth? They're gonna have the guts to go forward?

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Well, you've got the two minute warning to stop the clock.
Of course you're gonna go forth.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
They're gonna get the first down, and then I'm gonna
be the rest of the show.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Past two way is that game? No, Gabe Davis is hurt.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
They got it close to the first down markers, So
two minute warning.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
They'll have some time to think about it.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Buffalo will have it fourth down at the Miami thirty
seven yard long.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Oh, I go forward, pick up the first game over.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
This is now a ten play, thirty seven yard drive
that is eating up four minutes and fourteen seconds of
the game clock.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Ten places. Man, seems like thirty plays.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
Uh yeah, I mean that's what Buffalo.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
Buffalo has had so many opportunities in this game, but
so have your Dolphins. Neither one of these teams really
wanted to seemingly seize control of this game until you
had that ridiculous What do they finally rule the punt
return out? Ninety six? Ninety six yard punt return for
a touchdown? Change the whole game? Special teams? Well, I

(11:02):
mean you dump all over special Well, I'm just saying
these things they don't matter to you, and coordinators don't matter,
and special teams don't matter. A ninety six yuange the
whole game, you know what?

Speaker 2 (11:13):
So funny they put the slow I was looking at it.
There was one guy I think it was number fifty five.
That guy I could run faster backwards. They had like
the slowest guy out there. I don't know I'm like,
what did you do? How did this guy? Was this
guy even on the team? Did he just sneak on
the field or something. I'm like, who is this guy?

Speaker 3 (11:32):
He's an NFL player, I mean.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Slower than molasses. I'm like, don't put him on the
button return team. I mean everything looked like the Dolphins
were standing still as this guy was running. I'm like,
what did you put out this? All offensive linemen are
out there the button return.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Gosh.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
I will promise you that it's not the slowest guy
on the field.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
I didn't when you're faster than him.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
I promise you. I am Chris, I promise you. I am.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
You can cut my arms off if you're faster than him.
Stop being a moron. Okay, you're not faster than by for.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
The Dolphins if it was fifty five folks, man, I
want you to play it back seriously. The guy was
running like he had a piano on his back. I'm like,
what's wrong with that guy is? Did he break both
his legs as he's running? He could barely run.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
Poor defense, that's what it is. Poor defense. Oh, I've
got an updated Saturday night. Let's see what time will
that kickoff? Seven o'clock Saturday night, seven o'clock, mostly cloudy
in Kansas City, twenty four percent chance of snow wins
out of the north northwest at seventeen miles an hour,
the Hyatt kick will actually be zero zero, So I.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Think that benefits the Dolphins.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
I explained to me how zero degrees in Kansas City
benefits the Dolphins.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
You know, you see what they're doing, and there should
be more than two minutes left of the game.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
Yeah, they're saying Josh Allen went out of bounds. I've
never seen more confusing decisions on winter roll the clock
and when to stop the clock than what I saw
throughout the football the National Football League Sunday that we
had Buffalo is gonna go for it? Here you can
tell by Arnie's reaction what happens.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Well, I'm wondering if they're just trying to draw Miami
off sides, and if Miami does that, I'm gonna just
leave and go home.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Well, you are home, so you would just like walk up.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Side just you know, let me tell you something. I
think my wife fell asleep. I doubt it though she's
probably watching this game, but she fell asleep. I was
gonna wake up and told her the Bill's lost.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
But they still might. They still might.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
There's two minutes left. The Bills used the time out.
They did not go for it. They were trying to
draw the Dolphins off sides. Do they come out of
the huddle and try to go for it?

Speaker 3 (13:53):
Here?

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Do you go ahead and punt it? Oh, they're gonna
go for it. They're gonna go for it. I didn't
know they called time out. I'm like, yeah, they're gonna
go ahead and put That's fine, we're gonna get the
ball back. But no, they're gonna they're gonna pick up
the first I mean, why wouldn't you. All you have
to do is do the the push and you're gonna
get it. We're the only team that doesn't do that
because we're afraid too is gonna get a concussion. Then

(14:14):
he learned how to fall, So sitting Should that make
it all that much easier? Yeah, it's gonna make it
much easier when you have to just put your head
right in there.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
I just have some five hundred pound defensive tackle.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
Wait, I could read his lips. I just read his lips.
They're going for it.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
They his lips.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
He's like, come on, guys, we we got this, so.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Oh I'm ahead of you, aren't I?

Speaker 2 (14:36):
They got it?

Speaker 3 (14:37):
They?

Speaker 4 (14:37):
No, you are all right? So here we go. Uh,
the Bills are going to go for it? No they
I don't think they got it. Where they they got it?
It depends on where they gave him. Second effort.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Number ninety five is trying to give him the first down.
But you know, I'm trying to tell him stop it,
or why don't it look at number one thirteen? Why
don't you just put it in the end zone? Number
one thirteen? Why is number one third thirteen marking the
ball when when the other guy was marking the ball?
Does he don't understand that he's the judge, he's the
side judge. No, he be miss marked at then, but

(15:09):
he wouldn't He wasn't supposed to go ahead and do that.
Put her where the other guys? Why would you give
it to hamm He didn't know where it was.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Well, nobody knows where they are when they're marking.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Number one thirteen. I couldn't account for him today.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
About this moment where I remind you that the Bills
have had more penalties called on them than the Dolphins,
and this game is being played in Miami.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
All right, Dolphins have one last break? How about that?
Here we go. Did they stretch? Did they get it? No,
they didn't pick up the first.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Nah, just short. There you go.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
You got life, Arnie, they're alway thirteen did his best
to go ahead, and you know, to go ahead.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
Watch We'll go ahead and Birchinger, here's this by way, Ryan,
I don't have you have you done a show with us?

Speaker 3 (15:49):
In a minute? Arnie's feet is always a hat. I'm
on an app.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
I fired our last producer.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
You didn't fire him.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
He's gone, and he's gone gone and took a better
job for him.

Speaker 4 (15:58):
Yeah, because I I can't so, and Arnie can't pause
his fee to keep it with ours because he still
needs to be in front of us. So I just
want to make sure that you know that. And he
does not do a good job of explaining anything that's
going on. So that is what we're stuck with here.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
I have.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
One minute and fifty three seconds left to save the
season for the Dolphins to win the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (16:23):
I mean, if it's the way that it's gone so
far with the officials, then they'll just jump in and cheat, right.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
I'm going to say this right now. If the Dolphins
score touchdown, I think we should go for two points.

Speaker 4 (16:35):
We'll see, all right when we come back to the

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Thank goodness, Tyreek Hill took himself out of the game
on the play that they got intercepted for whatever reason,
I have no idea.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Yeah, kiss to it through a terrible ball there. That
was a horrific throw.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
He went up as I think he got dinged up
a little bit. He's got to stop coming out of
the game whenever he gets like winded or something. When
the game is, you know, on the line here.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
Stop coming out of the game when you're winded and
you can't run anymore.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
How dare you take a playoff?

Speaker 3 (17:56):
Dude?

Speaker 2 (17:56):
There's one minute, love of the game. And how about
catching the ball? How many did he drop? I don't
care if there was a penalty or not. He catches that.
That's a Touchdow.

Speaker 3 (18:05):
Which one was that? The pass interference?

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Yeah, the passages?

Speaker 4 (18:07):
There was a safety right there, Arnie. It wasn't gonna
be a touch now.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Nobody catching him in the open field.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
There wasn't. There was. There were dues right there. They
had him.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
He wasn't going anywhere. Okay, God, excuse away. I'm just
gonna kick my feet up and listen tonight twenty one
to fourteen. The final scores. So, uh, Steve de Seger,
if correct me if I'm wrong, But this means now
that Saturday, Saturday, at three thirty Central four to thirty Eastern.
The playoffs will start with the Browns and the Texans
on NBC and then in primetime on Peacock. Good luck

(18:37):
fine in that, Arnie, it's the Dolphins at the Chiefs.
Is that correct?

Speaker 2 (18:42):
That is correct?

Speaker 7 (18:43):
Saturday night, the game that just may freeze before it
finishes is going to be streaming only unless you live
in Kansas City or Iami.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
Moved to Miami, aren't there?

Speaker 2 (18:52):
You don't I have Peacock. Didn't they have games all
year long on.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
That or what?

Speaker 2 (18:56):
No, just a couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Yeah, well, if you got it, if you watch it, well,
but you're also considered it.

Speaker 7 (19:01):
No, you're thinking Amazon all year long. This is different.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Oh that's right, that's wow, my gosh.

Speaker 7 (19:09):
But to her heat on the weather, I'm glad you
mentioned this earlier. Chris and Kansas City kind of brought
the cold weather with them to LA and beating the
Chargers today. It was I mean, it's forty degrees outside
our studio it's in LA right now, which is unusual,
and it was fifteen mile an hour winds on top
of that during the game.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
But that's nothing.

Speaker 7 (19:28):
Kansas City's going to be hosting Miami Saturday nights with
an overnight low of zero. It's gonna snow Friday, they say,
not Saturday.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Standing up. Oh there you go. That's in our favor.
You go, it's something.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Yeah, I'm still waiting. I listen.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
I wouldn't be surprised if you guys won that game,
but I would like to know how the weather is
in your favor.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
I'll wait well, because when you have more speed than
the other team and it's so cold, own, all you
need is at one step and you're going to the house.
Come on, what's wrong with you again? You have Tyreek Hill,
Wattles hurt, and Wattle will be back next week. There's
no doubt in my mind about that.

Speaker 7 (20:09):
And so and most by the way, Wattle was in
the news today because he had held the rookie record
one hundred and four catches a couple of years ago
that was broken by the Rams Puka Nakua. Today he
also broke the receiving yards record by a rookie and
the Rams. We got what we talked about weeks ago
on this show. The Rams will be in a playoff
game at Detroit next Sunday night. Matthew Stafford against Jered Goff.

(20:32):
That'll be fun, man, I can't wait.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
Steve's got the full schedule coming up here in just
a bit again.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
Twenty one to fourteen.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
The final score the game turns on a big punt
return for a touchdown. Deontae Hardy goes ninety six yards
tie the game at fourteen.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
Dolphins go three and out.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
That a eight play, seventy four yard drive by the
Bills Dawson Knox with a touchdown reception from Josh Allen
and then what they ate up a lot o'clock the
Bills did. Is Josh Allen crying?

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Stop it if he is? Oh, I get sick?

Speaker 3 (21:09):
The Bills ended up.

Speaker 4 (21:12):
Let's see what was their final dry twelve's twelve plays
seventy six yards, six minutes and forty five seconds.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
I mean, that's that's phenomenal. Uh, And.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
It just didn't leave much time for Miami to do anything.
Miami pushed the ball from the Buffalo sixteen down to
their twenty five yard line before.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
Is that right they got it all the way to
the twenty five.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
I don't think so. I don't think so at all.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
Oh, hold on here, I'm looking at the wrong one.

Speaker 4 (21:42):
My bad let's see they got it at the Miami
thirty seven yard line was where the I was twelve
yards off thirty seven yard line when to it through
his interception.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Of course he did.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
Sorry, dude, you're gonna be okay to finish the show tonight.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
No, I mean no, it's very rating. Like I said,
I ever got the win from the dobins of disappointed me.
My whole entire life. All I wanted to do was
win the AFCs. So the only saving Grays is that
we don't have to beat the Bills twice because I
was a little worried about doing that in back to
back weekend. So I feel much better going into Kansas
City and having to beat that shlub of an offense

(22:21):
that they have there. They don't scare me. Dolphins put
up fourteen points on the board. That should be enough
to beat the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (22:28):
Wait, did you guys have this year against teams with
a winning record?

Speaker 2 (22:31):
One?

Speaker 3 (22:31):
I think one. Let me clean up my mess I
made here.

Speaker 4 (22:34):
The Bills had the football eleven plays thirty seven yards
four minutes in twenty one seconds after the Chiefs punt
in the fourth quarter, they got the football with six
fourteen left in the game, the Dolphins burned through their timeouts.
They went forward on a fourth and short, didn't get
it at the Miami thirty seven yard line, so at
the two minute warning Miami got the football back. A

(22:54):
little bit less than that, like one fifty three, Miami
pushed it from their own thirty seven to the Buffalo
forty and that's when to it through the interception on
a pass that was intended four of all people, Chase Claypool.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Chase Claypool wasn't have big starred Pittsburgh like one hundred
years ago.

Speaker 4 (23:10):
Yeah, he's he's on his third team Pittsburgh to Chicago,
now to.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
Miami, and I just missed him.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
But you know what, I'm not here to try to
hype you up or anything tonight.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
This sucks.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
But I do actually agree with what Mark said. Mark
Wright's on the Twitter. Mark Wright's considering the number of
injuries sustained, your Miami Dolphins are fortunate to still have
one last chance with the football. Josh Allen undaunted even
after two picks in a strip sack. You gotta like
his moxy flawed, yes, but a fighter. I agree with him.

(23:44):
You gotta feel good about your team going forward, if
all these people that you're guaranteeing us are coming back
are truly coming back. Josh Allen was terrible early in
this football game tonight and still found a way to
come back and win it.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Pretty impressive.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
No, I don't know if it impressives the word that
first comes to my mind, But I just hate Bills fans.
They just aggravate me. I really don't you know that?
And now I'm mad at her. I can't even look
at her.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
It's just sick.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
It really does good.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
Tweet Mark.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
I know you never tweeted me, only Arnie, but I
think that's a good. You should have some confidence. You
don't seem to lack confidence going forward. You still think
you're gonna go beat Kansas City. Yeah, you feel good
about that. That I do feel good about. But after
that it's anybody's gas. You know what what's good is
the games, but Saturday night, so you'll you'll have a
full day if they do get beat where no one's

(24:36):
gonna bother you, right, I mean, no one's gonna say
anything If the Dolphins LOUSI the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
I'm starting now, I'm starting to paddic if I can
get peacock. Now you got me worried about.

Speaker 4 (24:45):
Well, while you figure that out, I'm about to go on.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Could I go online right now?

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (24:50):
Yeah, it doesn't make a difference. It is Peacock exclusive.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
Is my understanding too, But uh, we'll work through that
as the show rolls on here on a Sunday night.
Wartsbar now direc dot Com Studios, and Steve de Seger
is keeping us caught up on everything that is now
a final in the final week of the twenty twenty
three into the twenty twenty four NFL season.

Speaker 7 (25:10):
If the regular season has ended tonight with the Bills
win at the Dolphins in a comeback twenty one to fourteen,
I believe.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
The adjectives sounds too just dealing with disgusting.

Speaker 7 (25:20):
Just dealing with facts at the news desk. I believe
the adjective you were looking for for Josh Allen is winner,
because they killed Miami early in the season and won
the Super Bowls.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
From mister winner, let me see.

Speaker 7 (25:32):
That Josh Allen did have the three turnovers, but two
touchdowns as well three hundred and fifty nine yards passing.
So yeah, Bills finish eleven and six. Dolphins finished eleven
and six, but the Bills won both of the head
to head matchups, and by the way, didn't the Chiefs
finish eleven six. But guess what a month ago the Bills,
after their bye week, played at Kansas City and beat

(25:55):
the Chiefs twenty to seventeen. Therefore, Buffalo is the number
two seed in the ANFC, in addition to being AFC
East champions. Tonight, so Kansas City, the three seed plays
in the cold at home Saturday night, hosting six seed
Miami streaming only. In case you haven't heard, Bills will
be playing Sunday one pm Eastern Time. With the win,

(26:19):
they host Pittsburgh. You know, if Buffalo had lost, it
would be Miami hosting Buffalo all over itain.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
I didn't like that.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Didn't like that. That's so I have to be worried.

Speaker 7 (26:28):
The Jaguars are out, Steelers are in the playoffs. Pittsburgh
won yesterday. The bad news TJ. Watt left yesterday's game
with a spring mcl hit by a teammate. Today, Jacksonville
lost twenty eight to twenty at Tennessee. The Jags turned
it over on downs their last two drives. Jacksonville finishes
nine to eight. The postseason opens this Saturday afternoon, Brown's

(26:49):
at Texans four to thirty pm Eastern Time. Houston won
last night, eliminating the Colts. Cleveland rested starters down thirty
one nothing at Cincinnati fourth quarter thirty one, won fourteen
Bengals the final. Joe Mixon fourteen carries one hundred eleven
yards and a score. Rams at Detroit next Sunday night.
I should say it's Jared Goff against Sean McVay. That's

(27:10):
another angle here. You know, Rams won twenty one twenty
at San Francisco today because Carson Wentz at quarterback for
LA in the second half, had two touchdowns and a
two point conversion. Each team had missed an extra point kick.
Detroit thirty to twenty winners against Minnesota, but Lions star
tight end Sam Laporta left with a knee injury. Philadelphia

(27:31):
lost again. In fact, they were down at the Giants
twenty four to nothing before halftime.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
What has happened?

Speaker 7 (27:36):
Twenty seven to ten Giants the final Monday Night next weekend,
Philadelphia at Tampa Bay.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Yeah, the Bucks take.

Speaker 7 (27:43):
The NFC South with a nine nothing victory at Carolina.
It counts Green Bay beat Chicago seventeen to nine. Next
Sunday on Fox TV. Green Bay at Dallas that's next Sunday,
four to thirty pm Eastern time. Jordan Love had over
three hundred yards passing.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
Today.

Speaker 7 (28:00):
US won its game thirty eight ten at Washington. The
Cowboys win. The NFC East also got the number two
seed because of the controversial head to head win against
Detroit very recently twelve and five record for Dallas, twelve
and five record for Detroit. Jets in the Snow won
at New England seventeen to three. Bressee Hall thirty seven

(28:22):
carries one hundred and seventy eight yards and a touchdown.
Seattle won twenty one twenty at Arizona. But Seattle and
Minnesota each needed Green Bay to lose today, but the
Packers won. Packers got the final playoff spot Kansas City
at thirteen to twelve win at the Chargers. By the way,
as far as draft order, Washington losing, we know the
Bears will draft number one because they made that trade

(28:43):
last year with Carolina. Good trade, and Washington will draft
number two overall behind him. New England has the number
three overall selection.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
In April.

Speaker 7 (28:51):
Arizona number four and the Chargers number five. Overall, it's
already been discussed. Whoever's drafting four or five. If they
are quarterbacks going the first two or three, you might
have the pick of all the other positions once it
comes to you high in the first round. Come April,
New Orleans and Las Vegas each got wins. Baltimore, by

(29:12):
the way, is the one seed in the AFC, San Francisco.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
The one in the NFC. Only the one seeds these
days get that first round.

Speaker 7 (29:19):
By so, Baltimore and San Francisco do not have game
scheduled for next weekend, And yeah, the playoff schedule gets
going with that. Texans home game on Saturday. College football's
National title game is Monday night. NBA overtime wins for
Portland and Orlando. The late game has four minutes left
in La Lakers leading the Clippers ninety six ninety five.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
That is correct.

Speaker 7 (29:42):
The Lakers at seventeen and nineteen are beating the Clippers,
who've won.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
Five in a row.

Speaker 7 (29:46):
Hy Laker, Oh, there's the kiss of death. Meanwhile, in
college hoops, Memphis edged SMU sixty two to fifty nine,
and Michigan State lost again at Northwestern eighty eight seventy four.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
Back to you, thanks.

Speaker 4 (29:59):
Steve, as we come to your tonight from the tire
rack dot Com studios, tire rack dot Com the way
tire buying should be.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
You want to limit this a little bit more other games.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
I just saw that someone put out that the Dolphins
finished the regular season, finished out one and five with
a minus ninety one point differential. Only the Giants and
Commanders had a worse point differential against playoff teams.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
But you're gonna roll next weekend, right, it's good.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
Yeah, we'll go to we will. We had the game
in Berlin against the Chiefs, but that didn't count.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
Why didn't that count?

Speaker 5 (30:34):
Do that?

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Do that not one of the six losses that you had?

Speaker 2 (30:37):
Yeah? That, but that doesn't count. What's the line in
the Chiefs game? By the way, what's the line in
the game?

Speaker 7 (30:44):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (30:44):
I have you know what?

Speaker 4 (30:45):
Eight thousand people have posted projected lines, and I can't
believe I haven't seen one on that game.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
I know I can't. I was just looking. I couldn't
find one.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
All right. Let's see here, I usually have.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Eight hundred Kansas City four or four or five?

Speaker 3 (31:01):
You would guess Kansas City four or five as a favorite.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Yeah, of course they're playing at home. Absolutely.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
I thought that didn't matter. I thought the benefit would
be to the faster team. Is what you told me?

Speaker 2 (31:12):
That's what I guess. People don't understand that. We'll wait
and see.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
Okay, well, the most recent one I see here is
two and a half.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
Oh wow. See, there you go. They're begging you to
take Kansas City, but everybody knows Kansas City offense is
so stagnant now you can't trust them anymore.

Speaker 3 (31:31):
Let's see here, what else?

Speaker 2 (31:32):
I saw a couple of Chelsey's aging by the Day
for crying out loud.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
Draft Kings has it at plus three. Okay, with them
over under at forty seven and a half. Bet the under.

Speaker 2 (31:44):
Wow? Yeah, bet the under wow.

Speaker 4 (31:46):
Bet the under My friends, Uh see anything else off
of that worth in money line cheese minus one sixty two?

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Anyway, there you go.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
So I don't know if that's official, but that's what
Draft Kings had thirty seconds ago.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
So there'll be a lot of money coming on Kansas
City that will I go past three and move on up.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
So if it comes in on Kansas City, if I'm
doing my math right, that means that thing will jump
up to like three and a half maybe four.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Yeah. By the way, being the game being Saturday night
also benefits the Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
Oh yeah, why is that?

Speaker 2 (32:19):
Well, they'll have the fresher guys for the game's Kansas
City did rest a lot of guys today, didn't they.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (32:28):
I mean like their B team played outside of Chris Jones,
who was only supposed to play a quarter, but then
they wanted to make sure that he got his bonus,
so he ended up playing a few more and got
his bonus because he got his sacked.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
See, because Miami's getting back to injured guys that didn't
play today at all.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
Yeah, I mean, there you go, you get back wattle
wattle of Moster.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
So you got that going for Xavier Howard gonna come
back or no, that's just not gonna.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
I think he's done for the year, wasn't he?

Speaker 5 (32:54):
Boy?

Speaker 3 (32:55):
Go deeper?

Speaker 4 (32:56):
What about the what about the blonde bomber there that
got hurt? Can he come back?

Speaker 3 (33:01):
Your boy?

Speaker 4 (33:02):
Pete does bring up a good point off Twitter, he writes, guys,
please explain to Arnie that Peacock is a streaming service
and not just a bird.

Speaker 3 (33:10):
That is a that's a very very good point.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
I want to starting to think I'm not going to
get the game. I'm starting to panic.

Speaker 4 (33:16):
Now, well, i'll you know what, We'll go through a
tutorial here real quick. Because if you live, like the
saga pointed out in the Kansas City TV market or
in Miami, they show it to you on regular TV.
And usually I want to say, it's whenever it happened
for me on Prime, Like I was in Boston the
Thursday night that the Patriots played the Steelers.

Speaker 3 (33:36):
He got it on like Fox. So I don't know
how to determine what.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
I'm sure it would be on NBC, right, since it's
an NBC broadcast. But I kind of odd that you
would put what I would think is one of the
bigger draws in Pat Mahomes. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs
put them on a streaming service for their first playoff game.

Speaker 5 (33:55):
Right.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
It is weird, as a lot of people will be annoyed.
Watch when people start to figure it out, they'll start
getting real mad.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
Usually, yeah, I know you're exactly right, because I don't
think right now people kind of realize it.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
No, they don't.

Speaker 4 (34:07):
Usually the way that it's worked out historically is the
very first playoff game is kind of the me, Hey,
how about that.

Speaker 3 (34:14):
It's not that big of a game.

Speaker 4 (34:16):
And then the very last one is kind of mad
because they put the Browns and the Texans in that
NBC slot, and then the Monday night football game. I
don't I think that was it a Cowboys and Bucks
last year in the first round.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
I think that was on the on Fox.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
This year they put the Philly Tampa game on the
Monday night football broadcast.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
I looked up what was on NBC for Saturday night,
uh huh, and they got the Wall and America's got
Town Fantasy League. Whatever that is?

Speaker 4 (34:43):
All right, we got to figure it out. We'll find
out to make sure you can watch your Dolphins if
you even want to any more.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
Wow today night.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (34:50):
I mean, you seem pretty confident.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
As Paul points out on Twitter, Arnie is taking this
as well as I expected. All Right, when we come
back to the Dirack dot com studios, let's go all
in in on your early reaction and responses to the show.

It's Arni and Plank on Fox Football Sunday for one
final week of the regular season.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
At twenty twenty three.

Speaker 4 (35:29):
Boy, those Eagles numbers look a little bit worse, Arnie
than your Dolphins numbers.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Yeah, yeah, they They're going through a tough time, no
doubt about that. They're they're going south. I can't trust
them to even win their first game.

Speaker 4 (35:41):
Are you telling me you're taking Baker Mayfield and the
Buccaneers on Monday?

Speaker 6 (35:45):
What?

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Boy, was thinking about doing that? That was a possibility
that I was thinking about doing that, And I'm getting
three points. I like tamping to win straight.

Speaker 4 (35:54):
They went one in five in their final six games, unbelievable.
Their only win was an eight point win against the
Giants at home that had a little conscrab well, I
shouldn't say controversy.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
The Giants kept that game a.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
Little closer than maybe they should and then they just
flat out destroyed I know.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
That was I didn't see that coming.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
See doesn't this make it feel better?

Speaker 2 (36:16):
Talking about it. At first, I thought maybe Philadelphia had
nothing to play for, but I go, wait a bit
to play for the NFC East.

Speaker 4 (36:22):
But geez, you want to talk about injuries. AJ Brown
goes down.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
I've learned I making excuses for them, but not when
the Dolphins was waddle.

Speaker 4 (36:32):
No, no, no, I'm not just telling you you're the excusinator.
So I mean nothing is ever just hey, we got beat.
But I learned a lot about the injury that Jalen
Hurts had, which was called swan neck deformity.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
Have you heard of this?

Speaker 2 (36:47):
No, I'm not.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
I hadn't either.

Speaker 4 (36:50):
I thought, I guess this is a real doctor on Twitter,
and if it's not, I completely totally fell for it.
But apparently it's something called proximal inner falangel joint hyper
extension and the flexion of the distal innerfalangel joint. No, no,
that means, but it just basically means. When I saw

(37:11):
Jalen Hurt's finger doing that, I kind of thought to myself,
he might be done. But I guess they say he's
gonna be okay somehow, because I didn't think your finger
was supposed to bend.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
My fingers will go and my two middle fingers look
like that really, Yes.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
Where it bends like a swan's neck.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
Yeah, because when I have basket, when I used to
play basketball, the first figure that you break is the
longest one in the middle one, and I never reset it.
So I have that on both of my fingers.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
Oh well, so.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
I toughed it up. I just taped it up and
I continue to play. I sucked it up, unlike you
know guys with his other injuries, not.

Speaker 4 (37:50):
Like who is your boy that you were mad because
he was tired? No Tyreek kill. Not like Tyreek kill.
Who how dare he come out of a game for
being tired? But real quick, before we get to your
your tweets, I will give Nick Sirianni credit here, Arnie.
He does have the coach speak down. For a team
that's heading into the playoffs as poorly as they're playing right.

Speaker 5 (38:10):
Now, everybody's got to give everything they got this week,
myself the coach, starting with the coaches putting the plan together,
and then and then everybody in that locker room. We
need all players, all coaches, all staff, all hands on deck,
leaving everything they got in this locker room because everybody's here.

Speaker 4 (38:25):
Oh and O going into this week, they're so doomed.
So I'm so sorry, Eagle fan. What a great start
to the year ten and one. Anytime you're like and
the coach is we gotta do better, you're doomed. I mean,
just so doomed. Hilarious coping my.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
Dobins looking I mean, my my cowboys are looking pretty
good doing that in that NFC right now.

Speaker 4 (38:44):
I was a little worried about him at the start
of that as you didn't trust me.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
I told you, guys.

Speaker 3 (38:50):
Again, Arnie, you changed your Super Bowl pick twice this
year in.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
The oh, I just stopped it from the Saints, big.
I didn't change it once the season started, you know.

Speaker 4 (38:59):
Jason hits us on Twitter. He writes it, does Dennis
Allen get fined? I'm sorry, does Dennis ally get fired
for crying about a player his teammates love scoring a touchdown?

Speaker 3 (39:08):
Truly?

Speaker 4 (39:08):
I've never I've never liked him, never will can't win
with him. I don't think he whined too much about it.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Now.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
Arthur Smith was whining. I was listening to Mark Willard
in the show before ours. I thought that it was
like the worst thing he's ever seen in his life.
With the way that Arthur Smith reacted. But I don't
only got like thirty seconds here, Ornie. But I didn't
have a problem with it. You don't like him running
the score up on you beat him.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
I know you didn't have to go into the victory formation,
but if you were going to run a play and
try to score, then try to score. So that's where
I have a little bit of a problem.

Speaker 4 (39:40):
And then Paul writes, the Bills and Dolphins beat the
crap out of each other so much they're both probably
gonna lose next week. Hey, that was a physical game tonight.
It was That was a real physical game tonight. It
was fun to watch the Bills get to win. They'll
host the Steelers next week. With TJ. Watt's status very
much uncertain, will the Dolphins go on the road where
they I have an advantage apparently in the cold weather

(40:01):
because they're faster. We'll learn more about that with Todd
Furman coming up next. Right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio playoffser set.

Speaker 4 (40:12):
We're talking about it as we come to you live
from the tire rack dot Com Studios. Tire rack dot Com,
The way tire buying should be not a match selection, fast,
free shipping, free road hazard protection in over ten thousand
recommended installers. That's tire rack dot com. I agree with
Julian off Twitter, Julian Wrights. I understand how much y'all

(40:35):
want to cover the Miamied offense the Buffalo bills, but
can you please.

Speaker 2 (40:39):
Lay out the entire playoff picture? We will in due time,
in due time, right now and a full fledged paddock
was now. I gotta find out how I'm gonna be
able to watch the game. I need an illegal feed
or something because I because now I'm starting to remember
I got peacock the first time because I'm in that
area that gets it for free.

Speaker 4 (40:59):
So mmm, oh, maybe you sneak.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
No, you're not going to be in an area that
gets it for free. No. And you know what sucks
is everything closes up at like six in a night here,
so there's no place for.

Speaker 4 (41:12):
Find a bar that's gonna stay up, you know bar.
This is what our buddy Shady Sean is for, Arnie.
What are you worried about? Eight at Shady Sean's gotcha?

Speaker 3 (41:21):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (41:22):
I won't give his full Twitter handle out because I
don't everyone knowing our secret, but you're good to go,
or you could do this crazy thing and just I
don't know, subscribe to peacock.

Speaker 3 (41:31):
But I'm watching the highlights.

Speaker 4 (41:33):
Of the of the Dolphins Bills game, and I still
find it surprising how bad that throw was that Josh
Allen made on fourth and two in the first quarter.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
It's about as bad as to his last interception.

Speaker 4 (41:45):
Well, I mean that that's that's fair, that's fair, But
I'm still I'm still like giving up on your Dolphins.
I will say I heard Dan Bayer say this earlier,
and I really thought about it for a while because
it was kind of messing with my mind. He said,
are you in a situation where, if you're the Dolphins,
you'd almost rather lose this? Not that you don't want

(42:08):
home games, right, but you know that'd be a second
straight week with Buffalo, who would have a chance to
stay in Miami. Right now, you're going to Kansas City.
The Chiefs haven't played all that well the last few weeks.

Speaker 8 (42:19):
Now.

Speaker 4 (42:19):
I don't think any of us thought it was going
to be zero, but I was thinking about that, especially
for the Bills too, with the Bills already being in
though I will say, if I'm the Bills, I desperately
wanted to win that because I'd much rather face Mason
Rudolph and the Steelers without potentially TJ Watt that I
would ever think about when to play Miami again after tonight.

Speaker 2 (42:42):
You're right about that, especially on the road. I said,
if there was one saving grace, we don't have to
beat the Bills twice. And I figured that was going
to be a tough thing to do in back to
back weeks. Not that you can't win two out of
three in a series, but the first game was so
long ago that doesn't make a difference now, and to
try to beat them back. Had we won this game,
they would have made adjustments, and you know, we would

(43:04):
have said we have gotten lucky with the two interceptions
and the funnel recovery. Probably not, you know, I could
see it just being a horrible thing where, oh, Miami
beats them and then they lose that first playoff game.
So I'm good going to the Kansas City and that
love offense that they have.

Speaker 3 (43:21):
Out there, love offense.

Speaker 4 (43:24):
Out of the six to Julian's point, of the six
Super wild Card games that we have, yeah, I would
have to say just as far as interest is concerned,
Dolphins and Chiefs has probably, if not won the number
two right because what Packers Cowboys, Packer Rams Lions with

(43:46):
the storylines there going back to Detroit.

Speaker 3 (43:49):
That doesn't do anything for you, Oh it does.

Speaker 2 (43:50):
I remember we brought this up weeks ago, but I
still think Packers Cowboys probably have a little bit more
less on that. I think Dolphins Chiefs probably number one.
When I saw Browns Texans, I'm like, did they make
the playoffs? They be double checked that. I'm not looking
at something to get wrong here, but yeah, there's uh,
why couldn't they put the Browns and Texans on Peacock

(44:12):
That's what I don't understand.

Speaker 4 (44:14):
Imagine if I would have come to you after Week
five of the season and I would have told you
that the Browns and the Texans are going to play
in the playoffs, yeah, and that Joe Flacco would be
starting at quarterbacks for one.

Speaker 2 (44:27):
Of the teams, I wouldn't have believed that. I'd just
stop it. That's ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (44:31):
Ever, Buddy, our boss man, Scotch Spiro would be on
the phone. He's like, listen, I think you need to
talk to someone.

Speaker 2 (44:37):
Yeah, I get help.

Speaker 4 (44:38):
We're all about like hot takes around here and and
good perspective, but listen, that's that's a little bit ludicrous,
and here we are. That's your first round playoff game.
But as far as even though I love the Texans,
I love CJ. Stroud, I love what the Meca Ryans
has done in his first year, but I would have
to say of the six, that's probably the least interesting
game unless.

Speaker 3 (44:58):
You're a fan of those teams, right.

Speaker 2 (45:00):
Right, But a lot of very close lines too. Philadelphia,
Tampa's three, the Detroit game is three, as you mentioned,
the Dolphin game is three, the Texans game is two.
So I don't know what the bill Steelers are and
the Cowboys are seven and a half, so a lot
of you know, close spreads.

Speaker 4 (45:16):
Mister nobody hits us up on Twitter. He writes, I
don't trust the Chiefs offense. So Miami might have a chance.
Dallas may win next week, but it won't mean anything
until they Dallas could actually win on the road.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
Right, Well, you know, they may get a couple of
home games, so they might not have to do that
for a while.

Speaker 4 (45:35):
If you're saying, I don't think anyone's under quote unquote pressure.
I mean, when you lose in the NFL, suddenly you
suck for a week and then you went out next week.

Speaker 3 (45:47):
It's like, oh my gosh, they're great.

Speaker 4 (45:49):
But you would have to think the Cowboys are the
team as the two seed with at the very least
what two home games coming up, right.

Speaker 2 (45:58):
Right, right? Then they have to go to saf Francisco.
If that's the collision course, I.

Speaker 4 (46:02):
Mean, they've got to be the team that's under the
most pressure to get it done now, right. I mean,
Jerry Jones has talked about, Hey, you know me, you
never know how much longer you have.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
You're not gonna hold up it against them if they
make it to the NFC Championship and lose to the
forty nine ers again, are you?

Speaker 4 (46:19):
I don't know, that's a good question. All right, we
got breaking news, ladies and gentlemen. Steve say, breaking news
for the sports.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
If this is something bad for the Dophins, I'm gonna
lose it on to Sega.

Speaker 7 (46:30):
You know, I don't want to bother your Sunday night,
but the world actually does not revolve around you artney Spain. Wow,
let's get to the NFL news. They didn't wait for Monday,
the Atlanta Falcons have parted ways with head coach Arthur Smith.

Speaker 2 (46:45):
Oh some of those looks.

Speaker 7 (46:46):
He gave in the lost to New Orleans today, those
will go down.

Speaker 2 (46:51):
As the memes of his tenure.

Speaker 7 (46:53):
The Falcons dismissed him as head coach after a meeting
in Atlanta tonight with Arthur Blank, the owner and chairman
of the team, and Rich McKay, the team CEO. So
they end with the loss at New Orleans, get home
and say, Nope, not the guy.

Speaker 2 (47:07):
He's out. Wow.

Speaker 4 (47:09):
I thought he might get one more year, even though
they got embarrassed today and he threw his fit about
the Jamis Winston handoff to Williams.

Speaker 3 (47:18):
I just I kind of thought.

Speaker 4 (47:20):
They would understand they didn't really have the quarterback figured
out unless Arnie Arthur Smith was a guy behind the
scenes that was saying, oh, no, I don't care who
the quarterback is, We're gonna win. And I don't think
that he really truly was.

Speaker 7 (47:33):
No.

Speaker 2 (47:33):
I mean, that was a poor choice there.

Speaker 7 (47:35):
He's already there three seasons, seven and ten. Each of
his three seasons, people have already said in the last
couple of weeks, whoever takes over Atlanta. There are worse
situations because potentially they have a tight end, they have
a running back in place. They're not completely bare in
the cupboard of offense.

Speaker 2 (47:51):
You know, you know who i'd hire if I was them?

Speaker 3 (47:54):
Who's that?

Speaker 2 (47:54):
Oh he's gonna he's gonna be open, He's not gonna
have a job. Who's that Antonio Pierce.

Speaker 3 (48:00):
I think Antonio Pierce is gonna get the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (48:02):
No he's not. That's gonna go to Harbor, Right.

Speaker 4 (48:05):
I don't think Harball's gonna take the Raiders job. I
think Harball's gonna.

Speaker 3 (48:08):
Take the Chargers.

Speaker 4 (48:09):
Who's I mean, who would you rather have? Justin Herbert
or nobody? I think, yeah, I know it's that. This
is my also hope too, right, I hope Antonio Pierce.
I don't think Mark Davis can make this dastardly of
a mistake again, right and again.

Speaker 3 (48:27):
You mentioned three years for Arthur Smith.

Speaker 4 (48:30):
Right, that's that's plenty of time to figure out whether
or not you're gonna turn this thing around or if
we need to go in another director.

Speaker 7 (48:36):
Brandon Staley was just under three years.

Speaker 4 (48:38):
I'm just I'm not gonna lie. I kind of thought
when we were talking about changes. I might have seen
Dennis Allen out in New Orleans. I didn't think that
they would move on from Arthur Smith. This quickly a
little bit of a at least for me. Now, I
think he becomes even though he did not maximize with
that kind of talent Offen that they appeared to have

(49:01):
with Robinson and Pitts. And I'm blanking on their wide
receiver Drake London, But I guess he becomes what Steve what,
aren't you the hottest name on the offensive coordinator market
most likely right now?

Speaker 7 (49:12):
And there are two We've talked about this before. There
are a long list of guys in NFL history that
may get a bad name as a head coach. It
doesn't mean they can't be coordinators for years and years.
I mean the Dolphins have one of those guys. But
this guy, after three years is out and I repeat,
somebody's gonna get You know something, This is not a

(49:33):
bad division.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
You know, a division you can't win. You know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (49:37):
You can take over and this is the greatness of
the NFL. You can take over after a bad season
and win your division the very next year.

Speaker 4 (49:45):
So three were they drafting where's Atlanta drafting? They are
definitely in the top ten hole. And I can tell
you in exactly two seconds here Atlanta is sitting at
number eight right.

Speaker 2 (49:55):
Now, not good enough to get one of those big
name quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (49:58):
Like probably not.

Speaker 4 (50:00):
You might be in a good spot and maybe to
get a Pinnix, But it seems right now that it's
gonna be Williams, Je Daniels and probably Drake may as
a top three with Pinnix, maybe JJ McCarthy, if Eda
Claires or Quinn you ors if he declares, maybe Bo Nicks.
I just I'm I've become fascinated now, Arnie, to see

(50:22):
what this evaluation process is gonna be.

Speaker 3 (50:25):
You can't wait. Three Oh.

Speaker 4 (50:27):
I started thinking about it as the Raiders loss of
the Colts last week.

Speaker 7 (50:31):
All right, so the way technically Pro Football talk corrects
me properly, it was twelve oh one Eastern time, so
it was a black Monday firing.

Speaker 3 (50:40):
Oh the fosh.

Speaker 4 (50:41):
Can you imagine though? Can you imagine if there is
You're Arthur Smith. You know you've got a meeting with
the owner. You're already mad about the way things went today.
Became pretty obvious you weren't happy with the quarterback situation.
I mean, you've been you bitch Desmond Ridder for Taylor

(51:03):
Heineke and no offense to Taylor Heinike. That's not somebody
that you should have to turn to in a time
of need. That should be a guy that, oh, no,
our quarterback broke his ankle. We need to turn to
our backup quarterback. They're turning to him to try to
say if there is season And don't get me wrong,
he played okay, but you bitched Desmond Ridder for him.
So you're already mad that you couldn't figure out the

(51:23):
quarterback position. And now you're out.

Speaker 7 (51:26):
And now, Chris, we have openings in the South with
the Panthers and the Falcons. Wouldn't you say the Falcons
offense is a little more attractive for whoever steps in.

Speaker 2 (51:33):
This, especially if you get Cousins too. You're getting a
quarterback like that.

Speaker 4 (51:37):
Cousins or you know, maybe justin fields. There you go,
you know, I like him. So if you're this is
interesting because if you're kind of sliding where we think
coaches are going to go right, we think with the
Chargers and it's Steve. I haven't heard any other name
than Harball. Have you heard other names there outside.

Speaker 7 (51:56):
Of Jeff coordinator type, Dan Quinn, Ben Johnson, So we'll
Ben Johnson.

Speaker 4 (52:02):
Everything I hear is that he was going to be
the guy in Carolina, and that David.

Speaker 7 (52:06):
That's the opening two openings in the South too.

Speaker 3 (52:09):
In the West.

Speaker 4 (52:09):
I can't help but think that Atlanta might be a
little bit more enticing than Carolina. Right, unless you love
Bryce Young, then you would go there. But if you're
looking at Atlanta right now, if you get.

Speaker 7 (52:21):
Hired by Carolina, you got to be working for that owner.

Speaker 3 (52:25):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (52:26):
Hey, what happens if Chicago wants to keep fields? What
do they do with that trade?

Speaker 3 (52:32):
The top pick?

Speaker 2 (52:34):
Well, I mean, is two, three or four going to
move up to that or what?

Speaker 4 (52:38):
Let's see, you're sitting it to right now, and you're
Washington maybe and you've got an owner that seems to
be a little bit of a wild card, and you're
bringing in a new general manager. What about New England
at three? What if they decide that either and you know,
I mean.

Speaker 7 (52:55):
I Polish might be new leadership as well there and
the Chargers at five coach new general manager.

Speaker 2 (53:01):
This is Ripe with the top five Rae.

Speaker 4 (53:04):
Yeah, or you have a team that really wants to
throw a hail Mary in the I don't think you're
going to be able to get up at like eleven
or twelve or thirteen the Bears.

Speaker 2 (53:14):
Remember, the Bears have their own top ten pick.

Speaker 4 (53:17):
So the Bears have one in Carolina. Yeah, that's a
good question, Arnie. I don't think you would have to
unless unless you're just worried about losing out on Caleb Williams.

Speaker 3 (53:28):
Then maybe. So it's a great question.

Speaker 2 (53:30):
I don't know, right, you don't have to worry about
staying up in the top five, is my point about Chicago,
because you don't want any of the quarterbacks anyway, right,
so you're you're just going unless you want to take
one of the you know, unless you want to take
Drake May and you know I have a backup there,
but that's ridiculous. So you don't care how far you drop.

Speaker 3 (53:49):
Or hear me out, I know this is not something
you like to hear about.

Speaker 4 (53:55):
You get one of those generational offensive linemen and Ola
Shouna out of Penn State or Joe Ault out of
Notre Dame, or or call me crazy, you take that
to wide receiver and Marvin Harrison Junior to give your guys. Yes,
I like him a lot. I don't know, dude, it's
it's gonna.

Speaker 2 (54:12):
Washington guy or the LSU guy. I mean, this is
a great receiver class.

Speaker 3 (54:16):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (54:16):
I mean Romadunz is awesome. I think he's going to
be a top ten pick. You mentioned LSU had a
guy that just declared the other day there's a couple
good edge guys in this draft. A dude out of
UCLA at a lot too.

Speaker 3 (54:29):
Am I saying it? Right? Okay, okay, okay, Dallas.

Speaker 2 (54:35):
I'm ready to fire you for talking too much.

Speaker 3 (54:37):
Draft well, I mean, Arthur Smith just got fired.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
And we're trying to figure out what might happen.

Speaker 7 (54:42):
Yesterday Malik Neighbors declared the LSU receiver.

Speaker 3 (54:44):
That's the other receiver I couldn't come up with.

Speaker 4 (54:46):
All Right, So big breaking news tonight, which means we
now currently have four vacancies in the NFL. Wow Raiders, Panthers,
Chargers add the Falcons. We fully expect washing Washington right
to move on from Ron River.

Speaker 7 (55:02):
They secured the number two overall draft pick today behind Chicago.
New England is number three overall.

Speaker 4 (55:10):
We have a year when like Philly moved up to
number two after the Rams had moved up to number one,
and they were like, Ah, we don't care who you
takeing one.

Speaker 3 (55:17):
We'll take it.

Speaker 4 (55:17):
We'll take who's I have read number two, And it
ended up being Carson Wentz when Jared Goff win number one.
Maybe you end up in a situation like that where
they're Washington commanders like aoh, we don't care whoever you
take it. One will take a number te.

Speaker 7 (55:28):
And then some years it's Peyton Manning first and Ryan
Leaf second.

Speaker 3 (55:31):
Right right, or Andrew first at RG three second.

Speaker 4 (55:34):
All right, so we'll continue to monitor the Black Monday
firings have started already.

Speaker 3 (55:39):
Could there also be a hiring that takes place.

Speaker 4 (55:42):
We'll talk about that with Todd Ferman coming up next
for the tyrack dot Com Studios. That's Arnie Spaniard. I'm
Chris Plank. This is Fox Sports Radio. Fox Sports Radio
has the best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch
all of our shows at Foxsports Radio dot com and
within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to listen live. Todd
Furman coming up in here Moments here, in here Moments

(56:05):
with the Tirach dot Com Studios with stinking genius Arny
Span You're on, Chris Plank, No waiting here, he is,
Todd Furman, Todd real quick. We just got the news
that Arthur Smith was fired. So before we dive into
the games today, let's see. We've got four right now
official vacancies. Washington's definitely going to be a fifth. Is
one of these going to be quick? I mean, Mark Davis,

(56:26):
is he going to do the right thing and just
elevate Antonio Pierce?

Speaker 3 (56:28):
What are you hearing right now in Vegas?

Speaker 8 (56:30):
I think Mark Davis will elevated Antonio Pierce, but I'm
not sure that's the right thing in the grand scheme
of things. When you look at this Raiders team, I
know there's a lot of talk about how they let
Rick Bisacia go, But when you start letting the players
dictate how you're going to run your organization and let
them pick their head coach, it's always a delicate balance.
I know they went out there and fall for Antonio Pierce,

(56:50):
but if you have an opportunity to land a coach
like Jim Harbaugh, I think you have to do everything
in your power to be able to do so and
not let him go. To a division rival, but we
know how the Raiders run things. We saw the field
conditions today. Notwithstanding, it is an interesting decision for this
organization from a starting quarterback to the head coach. But
I do think Davis will end up settling for Antonio
Pierce and we'll see exactly what that means over the

(57:12):
next two to three seasons.

Speaker 2 (57:13):
Ton obviously very disappointed about my Dolphins. Now we got
to go to Kansas City. I feel positive about that.
Chiefs Now a three and a half point favorite. I'm
seeing over under down from forty seven to forty three?
Is that correct? I see it. The forty three and
a half.

Speaker 8 (57:30):
Yeah, three and a half is kind of where it
opened across the board, aren't you. There were some books
that used at three that total forty seven, a touch
higher than what market consensus was at forty five. But
we haven't seen much in the way of resistance through
a key number at forty four. When you look at
the weather forecast at Arrowhead Saturday night, not exactly going
to be very favorable for a Dolphins team that would
prefer much more moderate conditions potential low of two degrees,

(57:53):
and of course the Dolphins will want to pay close
attention to the injury report. Can they get Jalen wall
Raheem Moster back in as far as some of their
skill position players are concerned. The d line deals with
a rash of injuries again today, so they're going to
have to go out there and get fresh bodies. And
the NFL does them no favors letting them play the
Sunday night football game, and now they have to travel
two arrowhead to play on Saturday night on a short week.

(58:14):
So we wish them the best of luck out, but
we'll see what this team can do if they're able
to run the football and shorten the game. Hey, look,
anything is possible. They really had an opportunity to win tonight,
just we're done in by special teams into unable to
make one big play the entire second half. The opportunity.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
At least we don't have to beat the Bills too
in a row. That was bothering me, you know.

Speaker 8 (58:33):
I mean, look, the Bills move the football tonight. But
it's a Buffalo team that I think still leaves a
lot to be desired. They get a ton of credit
for what it took to win the division and come
back when they were six and six. But you look
at the careless mistakes that Josh Allen makes, their inability
to execute. You know, at timely junctures of the game,
we'll see exactly what the Bills have in store in
the playoffs. I don't think Pittsburgh has enough in the

(58:55):
tank to be able to push them as a nine
and a half ten point underdog, but the Bills will
have their hands full they're able to get through wild
card weekend.

Speaker 3 (59:03):
Who do you think can right the ship now?

Speaker 2 (59:06):
Again?

Speaker 4 (59:06):
I know the Chiefs won their last two games, but
Kansas City or Philadelphia because and again we'll see what
the Jalen Hurts injury, what that means going forward. But
who are you more concerned about going forward? The Chiefs
are the Eagles.

Speaker 8 (59:19):
I think the Eagles when you look at how they
performed defensively, you keep thinking they're going to hit rock
bottom and over the last three weeks. When you lose
two games to the Giants and Cardinals in back to
back weeks, it raises red flag. You mentioned the injury
to Jalen Hurts that I think everyone's going to be
paying attention to. And the body language overall hasn't looked
great for this Philadelphia Eagles team, either the players, whether
they're unhappy. You know, Jason Kelsey look like he was

(59:42):
seeing ghosts at the end of that game today against
the Giants, almost like they don't know how they got
to this point. And Eagles fans were quick to come
at me when I told them, hey, look, when you
constantly find yourselves down at the half, that's not the
sign of a good football team. And what you've seen
is the roof caving in for Philadelphia, whereas Kansas City,
you'd like to think they've been here and done that.
They had a chance to rest and heal up this week,

(01:00:03):
not playing a lot of their key starters against the Chargers,
and we'll see if they're ready to go out there
and defend the Super Bowl knowing that it doesn't run
through Arrowhead for the first time in Mahomes' career.

Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
I'm assuming what the conactors Cowboys going to get the
most money on, or what I think.

Speaker 8 (01:00:19):
When you look at games like this, you're always going
to get significant handle on all the games, and nighttime
contests typically will drive the most amount of money because
people bet the early games and they either want to
roll their winnings over or they look to try and
get out of a hole that they've created. And then,
of course, on Monday Night, regardless of how the first
five games go, you have a standalone contest. So the
wild card adding you two extra games is definitely to

(01:00:42):
the delight of bookmakers giving them a Monday night game
to add to the arsenal as well. I mean, these
thirteen runing NFL games are some of the highest bet
games that you're going to see all season long, and
some of that momentum hopefully starts tomorrow night with the
College Football National Championship between Michigan and Washington.

Speaker 4 (01:00:57):
We'll get to that. I'm excited to get your take
on that, Matt. I think it's going to be a
fun game. But before we do, I just wanted to
ask about the Cowboys. Is it a stock you're buying
right now? Because I feel like in years past, that's
a game that the Cowboys lose, right, must win. Take
the NFC East, get a home playoff game or two.
And they went out and even though they started slow,

(01:01:18):
they just knocked the snot out of a bad Commander's team.
Are you buying Dallas stock right now?

Speaker 8 (01:01:23):
If we're playing the buy cell whole game. I think
I'm holding stock in the Cowboys right now. I'm not
running to buy it at this juncture, but I'm also
not selling I'll like some of the past editions that
you mentioned there, Chris, I mean their heavy favorites this weekend,
and with good reason against the upstart Green Bay Packers
team that has been kind of the Cinderella story along
with the Rams in the NFC, but Dallas more than

(01:01:44):
a touchdown favorite with good reason. Green Bay is going
to have their hands full in terms of slowing down
Dallas's offense if they can play downhill, and the one
thing that Dallas does as well as any of the
teams in the NFC, not name the San Francisco forty
nine ers is get after opposing quarterback. So we'll see
what kind of atmosphere they're able to created Jerry's world
on Sunday afternoon, but should be a fun game. Packers
fans have a lot of reason to be excited because

(01:02:05):
even if they go out in the first round of
the playoffs here, I think they've at least identified the
air apparent to Brett Farv and Aaron Rodgers with a
franchise quarterback in Jordan love Hey Todd.

Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
We we got a storyline with the Rams and the
Lions that we not I was a little ward, but
the Rams got the touchdown, the two point conversion. Now
we got our storyline.

Speaker 8 (01:02:23):
You know, incredible. I mean sometimes these NFL narratives right themselves.
And there's good reason that NBC wanted to try and
put this game in the Sunday night time slot. You
wonder which quarterback we'll have an ax to grind. Matthew
Stafford and left Detroit had an opportunity to win a
Super Bowl in LA, but that was a Rams team
that just kind of discourded. Jared Goff didn't think he
was going to be the quarterback that could lead Sean

(01:02:45):
mcvay's offense going forward. We know that building will be
absolutely electric. And when you look at the way this
number has moved, we saw a couple of books actually
open this number as high as four. We're now down
to a field goal. I think three is the right
number in this contest. The injury, of course, that we're
going to want to follow for the Detroit Lions offense
will be Sam Laporta, who left the game today with
a hyper extended knee hopefully he's able to go. He

(01:03:06):
has such a keycot for everything that they do in
the passing attack.

Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
Fifty one and a half. That's a lot of points.

Speaker 3 (01:03:11):
Isn't it.

Speaker 4 (01:03:12):
It is.

Speaker 8 (01:03:13):
It's a big number. But I think both of these
defenses can be exploited. When you look at the Lions,
the way to beat them is throwing vertically over the top,
and that's right in Matthew Stafford's wheelhouse. We don't have
to worry about inclement weather like we will in some
of these other games. And if either of these teams
finds themselves down multiple scores, they have enough firepower to
get back into it. So I think this total is warranted.
But when you're talking about totals in the low fifties

(01:03:35):
in the modern NFL, you still need so many things
to go right to get that thing across the finish
line comfortably.

Speaker 4 (01:03:40):
We wait a month for the playoffs in college football,
and then a week later it's time for the title game.
I don't know what that means rest wise for either
one of these squads, but one team likes to play
bully ball, the other team can throw it all over
the place. What are you looking for? What's kind of
catching your eye in Michigan Washington tomorrow night.

Speaker 8 (01:03:58):
I think Washington's going to have to figure out if
they can sell out and stop the run. And you
know what, if you're going to lose to Michigan, you
have to make JJ McCarthy beat you with his arm,
with his receivers and try and see if Roman Wilson
and Cornelius Johnson can be the difference makers on the outside.
What Washington can't afford to happen is with a defense
it's outside the top eighty from a yards per carry

(01:04:18):
average against them. Allow Michigan to put together seven eight
minute drives, allow Michael Pennix and company to get cold
on the sidelines, picking up five six yards in a
cloud of dust. Meanwhile, on the other side of the ball,
I think Michigan's going to get tested by this extremely
talented receiving core for the Washington Huskies. I mean, Michigan
doesn't see offenses like this often. Maybe Ohio State in
the Big Ten. While Marvin Harrison Junior's elite, Ohio State

(01:04:41):
doesn't have three or four guys that Kyle McCord was
capable of spreading the ball around to. So it's the
rare instance in a game like this where if Washington
were to win the toss, I have no problem, Chris
with them taking the ball trying to force Michigan to
play from behind, more so than allowing Michigan to deploy
their level of physicality and dictate pace in Temple where
they may want to slow this thing down.

Speaker 5 (01:05:00):
Crawl.

Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
If you're the Wildcat, by the way, be careful, my
Arizona Wildcats. Don't we do? We take it to basketball? Well,
we'll be in the playoff in football next year too.

Speaker 8 (01:05:10):
That is a bold, bold proclamation. We will have to
hunt the odds board to see when prices come out.
But I think the change of address moving into the
Big twelve arn he does give them a past.

Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
Oh big question.

Speaker 8 (01:05:20):
The biggest question they'll have to worry about is how
big a job does coach Fish begin to hunt for
in college football if Arizona is able to replicate some
of their success in twenty twenty four that we saw
last season.

Speaker 3 (01:05:31):
Exactly, He's a really good coach.

Speaker 4 (01:05:32):
Did a great job, right, Todd, You the man, enjoy
the week, enjoy the title game. I guess which is
coming up later tonight. Man, We appreciate your time about
our Times radio.

Speaker 8 (01:05:39):
Always a pleasure, gentlemen. Enjoy the games tomorrow and can't
wait to talk about Wildcard weeek and everything that unfolded
and some of the divisional matchups that will have a
hand this time next week.

Speaker 4 (01:05:47):
Make sure you check out Todd's podcast too, the bet
to Board Podcast, well worth your time.

Speaker 3 (01:05:51):

Speaker 4 (01:05:53):
Strolling in at the tyrock dot com studios is Steve
the Seger. Get us caught up on everything that is
now a final in the world of sports.

Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
That's right.

Speaker 7 (01:06:01):
We had NFL wins for Buffalo, for Tampa Bay and
Green Bay as well. But I like Chris what you
brought up in the last hour about Chris Jones, the
great defensive alignment for the Chiefs like we saw with
Clowney yesterday, and the celebration because he got a sack.
It triggered a bonus incentive plenty of more money kicking
in in his contract here in this final weekend of

(01:06:22):
the season, Chris Jones was due an incentive of one
point two five million dollars if he got just another
half sack in today's game. So plenty of starters are
sitting They're locked into the number three seed Kansas City,
and Chris Jones is out there like you've never seen him.
He was all over the backfield of course, ten pressures

(01:06:45):
in the first half and still couldn't get a sack,
so he had to play the second half too, and
then he finally gets the sack, sprints to the sideline
to celebrate with his teammates, and next Gen stats clocked him.
He's three hundred pounds plus clocked him at fifteen fifteen
miles an hour running to the sidelines, which would be
his fastest speed on any actual play in the game.

Speaker 2 (01:07:08):
Today, I think Hopkins fell three yards short of a
million dollar bonus.

Speaker 7 (01:07:13):
It's just, you know, go for it. NFL players don't
have guaranteed contracts. I think that's for a reason, but
go for it when it comes to this. What about
the Flacco thing this weekend where they sat them all?

Speaker 3 (01:07:22):
Or give you the money?

Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
Anyway, we're locked into the five seed.

Speaker 7 (01:07:25):
As for the Chargers, they did lose again today in
fairy Charger like fashion. They took the lead leight and
then lost even later thirteen to twelve Kansas City the final,
and here the Chargers had an eighteen play drive early
in the game. How did it end with a fumble
return ninety seven yards the other way for a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
That was the difference in the game.

Speaker 7 (01:07:48):
In the fourth quarter, the Chargers had another eighteen play
drive settled for a short field goal, eventually lost by one.
Two eighteen play drives no touchdown on either wound up
with eighty plays on offense today and no touchdowns in
the game. So the Chargers this year when the margin
was three points or less, seven losses oh and seven

(01:08:12):
in the close games. The field goal late by Kansas
City that game on streaming by Buffalo's visit a couple
weeks ago, field goal late Detroit, a field goal late
to win in La forty one thirty eight Dallas on
a Monday nighter at the Chargers late field goal to
win by three. Remember the Miami opener when they're passing
attack went up and down the field all day against

(01:08:32):
the Chargers off of pass defense.

Speaker 2 (01:08:34):
Miami got a late TD in that one.

Speaker 7 (01:08:36):
It's just an appropriate ending and so the Chargers will
draft number five overall. Arizona lost at home twenty one
to twenty to Seattle. Arizona will draft number four New
England lost at home in the snow seventeen to three
to the Jets. Patriots have the number three overall selection.
In April, Washington lost at home thirty eight ten to Dallas.

(01:08:56):
Washington will draft number two, behind Chicago, which lost seventeen
to nine at Green Bay. Yeah, the Packers are in
next Sunday on Fox TV Green Bay at Dallas four
thirty pm Eastern time. Rams are in and at Detroit
next Sunday night Rams in Detroit.

Speaker 2 (01:09:12):
Each one. Today.

Speaker 7 (01:09:13):
Buffalo, for the fourth straight year, takes the AFC East,
clinches the two seed, winning in a comeback at Miami
twenty one fourteen with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
Jacksonville is out. Jaguars lost to Tennessee twenty eight twenty
so Pittsburgh, which won yesterday, is in the playoffs. The
Bills will host Pittsburgh Sunday, one pm Eastern time. What

(01:09:35):
does Miami gotta do? Go to Kansas City and the
Korean on on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Hey, look, we're going to the prim might as well
ask got the the good looking girls.

Speaker 3 (01:09:44):
Let's go going to the Prime. Analogy, you better pack about.

Speaker 7 (01:09:48):
Ten dresses for each because it's gonna be what four
degrees perhaps for this game.

Speaker 2 (01:09:54):
That's got the cheerleaders.

Speaker 7 (01:09:55):
It's gonna be cold anyway, and it's not a day game.
The Philadelphia Eagles are even worse, though they've lost five
of six. Got killed at the Giants twenty seven to ten.
The Monday night game next week in Philadelphia at Tampa Bay. Yes,
the Bucks won nine to nothing at Carolina to take
the NFC South.

Speaker 2 (01:10:13):
And Yeah in the NFC.

Speaker 7 (01:10:14):
South, Atlanta lost at New Orleans today and the Falcons
fired coach Arthur Smith tonight. College Football's national title game
is Monday night. NBA overtime wins for Portland and Orlando.
The late game went to the Lakers one o six,
one oh three over the Clippers, ending a five game
losing streak. And the Dodgers have signed former Seattle autfielder
ta Oscar Hernandez to a one year deal. Last season,

(01:10:36):
he had twenty six homers and ninety three RBIs back to.

Speaker 4 (01:10:40):
You, thanks Steve, as we come to you live from
the Tyrock dot Com studios. Arnie, I have a question
before we break, who is the biggest disappointment team wise
in the NFL this year?

Speaker 2 (01:10:52):
I would say Jacksonville. Right now, I mean, I thought
this was a team that was going to go ahead
and take the next step. Me too that that was
going to go ahead, and I don't think maybe not
a Super Bowl run, but kind of flexed their muscle
a little bit. I saw the numbers on NBC where
five or six weeks ago they had like a ninety

(01:11:14):
six percent chance of making the playoffs. They didn't make it.
Last year they had a three percent chance of making
the playoffs and they made it. So yeah, extremely disappointing
what they did down the stretch. I think they won
one game and that was against Carolina and it just
didn't go for them. And I'd be really and to

(01:11:36):
lose to Tennessee today with everything on the line embarrassing.
So I gotta throw them as one of the disappointing
teams out there.

Speaker 4 (01:11:45):
I think they would be really high based on where
they were a couple of weeks ago. Right, you're one
hundred percent, right, You're right. The stat was like ninety
four chance to make the playoffs and they didn't do it.
But just in general, if you were to say the
topmost disappointing teams, I mean, Minnesota's gotta be there.

Speaker 2 (01:12:04):
And again injuries factor into this. Right quarterback lost Justin
Jefferson for what seven six seven weeks?

Speaker 4 (01:12:13):
You lost your quarterback, then you lost your second string quarterback,
then you lost your third string quarterback, right, and you
didn't have Joe Flacco coming off the bench to save you.
What about New York The Giants? Now, the Jets are understandable.
They're an incredible disappointment. But Aaron Rodgers took what two
snaps on the season, so that's it's I'm not saying
they get a pass, right, but it's kind of understandable

(01:12:35):
that they were going to struggle once that happened, right.

Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
I would say the Giants are more disappointing. I mean,
they went six and eleven. I thought maybe they could,
you know, be a nine and eight team. So there's
a three game difference. I don't know if that makes
them the biggest disappointment. They're there plus minus is so atrocious, though,
but they look so good the last couple of weeks.
You got to won the ward. The hell was that?

(01:12:57):
You know? During the course of the year, I wonder
to say Quon bark is gonna end up coming back
for them? My guess is gonna be no.

Speaker 4 (01:13:04):
And you can't really put the Bengals in a disappointment
right because injury, right, that's that's pretty tough.

Speaker 2 (01:13:12):
The Patriots, the supporting or did you just know they
were gonna be bad? I told you they were gonna
be bad. They're still disapporting it four thirteen.

Speaker 4 (01:13:18):
Again, you were on fifteen years in a row telling
us the Patriots were gonna be bad. Arnie, Uh, yeah,
I think so. I think it's fair. You'd had the
height Bill O'Brien coming back to run the offense. You
had Mac Jones, who we thought was gonna take another job.
I can't I can't argue if you want to say
they were.

Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
Certainly the chargers in Denwell, Denver too, you know, with
the Sean Payton, everybody thought they were gonna take the
next step. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:13:42):
Interesting because it's almost as if with every single disappointment
there's there's a caveat, there's a little story. Even with Jacksonville.
I mean, Trevor Lawrence got hurt. He was not one
hundred percent. I think we all saw that, but that
shure didn't stop people from hitting old Twitter on Saturday, like, Alnie,
what's going on with the Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 3 (01:14:01):
He's overrated.

Speaker 2 (01:14:03):
I think it was hurt.

Speaker 4 (01:14:04):
I'm willing to give him a little bit of a pass,
but that was quite the implosion from Jacksonville down the stretch.
All right, when we come back, got a lot of

Day on the East Coast.

Speaker 2 (01:14:34):
Let's go Washington, Michigan tonight.

Speaker 4 (01:14:37):
All your tweets to kick off the final hour of
the program. But right now with the stinking genius Arnie
Spaniard on Chris Plank and he is Steve Desager.

Speaker 3 (01:14:46):
What's going on? Steve?

Speaker 7 (01:14:47):
You mentioned it's number one Michigan fourteen and oh against
number two Washington fourteen and oher in Houston Monday night
for college football's national title game. Keep in mind next season,
Washington will be in the Big Tang Conference The Huskies
will host Michigan in October after after Michigan, on its schedule,
will host Texas in September. Michigan hosts USC as part

(01:15:10):
of the September schedule as well. By the way, Michigan
has not won a national championship outright in football since
nineteen forty eight. Wow, nineteen eighty five at finished number
two in the polls, and nineteen ninety seven famously, Michigan
was number one in AP but finished number two in
the coaches poll. We have a lot of NFL to
discuss as the regular season ended tonight with Buffalo taking

(01:15:32):
another division crown four years in a row. The comeback
win at Miami tonight twenty one to fourteen. That's dominance
in this series. I don't know if you can call
it a rivalry at the moment. It's so one sided
because the Buffalo Bills the last five years are ten
to one against the Miami Dolphins, and they wig dealed
the big deal with a loss tonight, and again they

(01:15:55):
were losing. They would have had a repeat Miami hosting
Buffalo next weekend. Instead, No Buffalo's the two seed, Buffalo's
the division champ and next Sunday, one pm Eastern Time.

Speaker 2 (01:16:07):
Buffalo will be hosting beat Buffalo like twenty three times
in a row, like Don Shula era.

Speaker 7 (01:16:13):
Yeah, okay, I think he's retired.

Speaker 3 (01:16:15):
Wow, was it really? I want to look this up.

Speaker 2 (01:16:19):
Yeah, I think it was something like that. Okay, find
out looked up. I was making it up.

Speaker 7 (01:16:24):
I went the whole decade of the seventies with Larry
Zak and they.

Speaker 2 (01:16:28):
Never lost to Buffalo. That wow.

Speaker 7 (01:16:29):
That's why the entire decade, two games a year, ten years,
they went twenty in zero.

Speaker 3 (01:16:34):
Wow. Meanwhile, and lost tonight when it mattered, though, right, Arnie?

Speaker 2 (01:16:38):
Yeah you think so, Chris, Oh, you think so.

Speaker 7 (01:16:42):
He's been telling you the special teams coordinator is such
an important position, and I keep.

Speaker 4 (01:16:46):
Saying it's not all that. Keep hearing it's not important.
Coordinators don't matter.

Speaker 2 (01:16:50):
Apparently they do.

Speaker 7 (01:16:51):
They do ninety six yard punt return ties the game
for Buffalo tonight. Forty nine Ers have been dominating the division,
not just the Rams. They had won twelve with NFC
West teams until both sides were sitting starters today and
the Niners lost on a late two point conversion twenty
one twenty. As for the Chiefs another win against the
AFC West since twenty fifteen. What is the Kansas City

(01:17:15):
record against the AFC West. Well, let's update, it's forty
six and eight. Forty six and eight, eight losses in
the division in a nine year span.

Speaker 2 (01:17:24):
Needs to say.

Speaker 7 (01:17:25):
No other team has that on the resume since they
had this current division realignment about twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:17:31):
T Dophins have revenge factor. When they lost the Jan
Stetarer game, I think for them.

Speaker 4 (01:17:35):
Could you imagine that's Andy Reid, I'm sorry, I'm sorry,
Mike McDaniel's rallying crime.

Speaker 2 (01:17:41):
I think that was like a double overtime game too.

Speaker 7 (01:17:44):
Of our kudos to the AFC North this year, I'll
give you a couple of caveats in a moment, but
they are in NFL history, at least since the merger
in nineteen seventy, the first division where every team finished
with a winning record. Because the Bengals beat Cleveland easily
today with the brown sitting starters, and that means the
Bengals finished nine to eight. You have that extra game

(01:18:06):
a seventeen game schedule. Now you can't finish eight in
and eight anymore. So, all four teams in the AFC
North finished with winning records, not only the Bengals, but
the three above them, not only above five hundred. All
three of those are going to the playoffs. And then
there's the Eagles, who, yes, are going to the playoffs.
But remember when they were ten to one and could

(01:18:27):
have been not only one seed. They've lost five of
six since injury to wide receiver aj Brown knee injury
said not to be serious. Injury to the finger of
the quarterback Jalen Hurts, he calls himself day to day.
He was getting pummeled today. Just the first half. The
Giants defense pressured him almost eighty percent of the time

(01:18:49):
he dropped back, the highest pressure rate faced by any
quarterback in a game in the last six seasons, fifteen
out of nineteen times. So, yeah, they weren't good today
and they were down twenty four nothing before halftime at
the Giants. Twenty seven to ten was the final. Giants
defense wound up with five sacks. Monday Night next weekend,
Philadelphia at Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay nine nothing winners at Carolina,

(01:19:14):
so the Bucks take the NFC South with the victory,
and Green Bay is in seventeen to nine winners against
Chicago next Sunday on Fox TV Green Bay at Dallas
four thirty pm Eastern Time. Dallas won its finale at
Washington thirty eight ten. Cowboys take the NFC East, also
get the number two seed, not Detroit because of the controversial.

Speaker 2 (01:19:35):
Head to head win recentlyight Detruce.

Speaker 4 (01:19:38):
I keep forgetting about that. That was that ended up
being much more important. So yeah, the NFL, what referee
do you sign perhaps to?

Speaker 2 (01:19:46):
You know, don't do gotta do it right?

Speaker 3 (01:19:50):
Cowboys last.

Speaker 4 (01:19:51):
Cowboys last won the NFC East in twenty twenty one,
which means the last four winners of the NFC East
in twenty twenty through the Cowboy He's Eagles last year,
Cowboys in twenty one, and the Washington Commanders.

Speaker 3 (01:20:05):
You're gonna fire Ron Rivera in twenty twenty.

Speaker 4 (01:20:08):
All right, your tweet's coming up next on Fox Sports Radio.
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio, Oh Final Hour,
Final Hour on Championship Monday in Eastern and Central time zones, Washington,
Michigan Tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:20:24):
Who you got, Arnie, Who you got? You wanna wait
to your picks.

Speaker 2 (01:20:27):
I'm gonna wait till my picks him. But I just
realized the Dolphins are gonna have to play the Ravens
in two weeks in Baltimore.

Speaker 3 (01:20:36):
I I don't know if that's gonna happen, Arnie.

Speaker 2 (01:20:39):
No it is, that's exactly. But let's Pittsburgh upsets Buffalo.
I don't think that's gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (01:20:44):
I don't think you're getting out of Kansas City.

Speaker 2 (01:20:46):
Oh well, we're gonna beat them like a drum.

Speaker 4 (01:20:48):
You were gonna beat Baltimore by a drum last week? Talked, No,
not real. Then I heard you and Aaron talking and
you said you were gonna beat Buffalo by like a drum.
I think we gotta find another analogy. Uh, why don't
you just win a game?

Speaker 3 (01:21:01):
Right?

Speaker 4 (01:21:01):
Just win one over to the winning record? You just
lost tonight in a pretty injuries.

Speaker 2 (01:21:07):
You're giving injuries to all the other teams. What about
our injury?

Speaker 4 (01:21:10):
I am, and I'm saying everyone. That's the point. Everyone
is injured. Everyone is Tyreek Hill.

Speaker 2 (01:21:17):
Still not like us?

Speaker 3 (01:21:19):
Yeah, why don't you go.

Speaker 4 (01:21:19):
Talk to a Vikings fan about that or being Hyrek
Gill was injured too. He played a lot tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:21:25):
Tonight, he was injured for a couple of games.

Speaker 3 (01:21:27):
Quarterbacks seem to play all season long the.

Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
Only one that has, the only one that has all Right, well.

Speaker 4 (01:21:33):
I mean boohoo, buckaroo. I mean you still go to
the playoffs. But I mean it just I I think
you who proclaim yourself as a better fan than.

Speaker 2 (01:21:44):
Everyone, Yes, I am a better fan than.

Speaker 3 (01:21:47):
I think you're the biggest excuse maker on the planet.

Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
No, I just tell you the way it is.

Speaker 4 (01:21:52):
No, take your loss, you lost the game, take your
l buck up, and watch your team get smoking. Next week,
he gets Kansas When suddenly this Kansas City Chiefs team
I've seen this movie before. We all destroy him and
we tell you how terrible they are. And then the
next thing, you know, you look up and you're like,
are they playing the AFC Championship game in Kansas City?

Speaker 3 (01:22:13):
Tell you what happened?

Speaker 2 (01:22:14):
Spoiler alert. I got Dolphins winning twenty seven to twenty three.

Speaker 3 (01:22:18):
There's no way there's gonna be fifty combined points scored
in that game.

Speaker 2 (01:22:21):
Twenty seven twenty three.

Speaker 3 (01:22:23):
That's fifty combined points.

Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
You're right, you do that twenty seven twenty yeah, make
it down in twenty seven twenty yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:22:30):
Well, listen, how about this. Why don't you put you
if you're so confident why don't you just do what
you always do.

Speaker 3 (01:22:35):
Put your job on it?

Speaker 2 (01:22:37):
Not that confident?

Speaker 4 (01:22:38):
Right as we come me you live from the tire
rack dot Com studios.

Speaker 3 (01:22:41):
Tire rack dot com will help you get there and
on the match.

Speaker 4 (01:22:44):
The selection, fast, free shipping, free road hazard protection and
over ten thousand recommended installers. Tire rack dot com the
way tire buying should be. All right, you wann hit
some of these tweets?

Speaker 2 (01:22:54):
Yeah, we're getting a lot tonight. There's no doubt people
love my misery.

Speaker 4 (01:22:58):
Well, I don't know if they love your miser I
just think you talk so much gas all year long,
and then when your team loses, you don't necessarily own
up to anything you don't pay. I mean I had
taken the day off when my team lost. It was
well known, and I mean laid out, Hey, my team loses,
I'm not gonna be here. My team wins, I'm not

(01:23:19):
gonna be here. I almost I almost called in, but
then I thought, I don't know how, like would Aaron be, Like,
what's he doing calling in whenever I'm filling in or anything?
I didn't want to be that guy, right almost did.
In fact, I was so ready to I fell asleep
before even midnight. That's how soft I am.

Speaker 3 (01:23:37):
I sad.

Speaker 4 (01:23:37):
Oh we got this big dinner thing. Freaking dinner was over,
like literally right as the show started. I would have
been five minutes late for the show.

Speaker 2 (01:23:45):
Aren't jeez.

Speaker 3 (01:23:46):
But anyway, here's ahead news, right, Arnie.

Speaker 4 (01:23:49):
Are your dolphins going to enjoy the negative Kansas City
snow and wind chills next Saturday night? You guys are
a lifetime Oh win ten in the playoffs and freezing tempts?

Speaker 2 (01:23:57):
Is that I love that every person that sends the weather,
you guys are all ten degrees lower. And it was
because first there was going to be forty degrees, done,
thirty degrees, the twenty degrees. Now it's going to be
negative one hundred degrees in Kansas City next weekend.

Speaker 4 (01:24:12):
Well, I mean I all I can do is say
I live very close to Kansas City.

Speaker 2 (01:24:17):
Yes, you do.

Speaker 3 (01:24:17):
Yes, And in a lot of.

Speaker 4 (01:24:19):
Times, what I'm experiencing weather wise is what Kansas City
and around about, Well, you know, they're further north then
I'm in Oklahoma.

Speaker 3 (01:24:26):
There, they're a little north to me.

Speaker 4 (01:24:28):
But what I have sitting right in front of me
right now is the ten day forecast according to the
always reliable weather dot Com, and it says on Saturday
night that it will be Oh it's up now, Arenie,
I apologize. It'll be high of one for kickoff, So
one degree at kickoff on Saturday night.

Speaker 2 (01:24:47):
You know understand how that helps people with the speed
because now you know, it makes Kansas City a little
bit slower. So now that they've got to keep up
with our speed now because of the weather.

Speaker 3 (01:25:00):
I don't know if work with me.

Speaker 4 (01:25:03):
I don't know if there's scientific I mean, bershinger, is
there scientific facts?

Speaker 2 (01:25:09):
I mean, proved me wrong, prove me wrong. I don't
know that there is.

Speaker 3 (01:25:13):
Well.

Speaker 4 (01:25:13):
I mean I could say, p there are aliens that
will show up on Saturday during that game.

Speaker 2 (01:25:18):
Proved me wrong, that was already happened. Proved me wi. Yeah,
I don't know why I'm not going to a game
down there anymore.

Speaker 4 (01:25:26):
Baker Rights even Mike Rabel is disappointed in Jacksonville and
also added Dak's performance today wasn't nearly as compelling as
Tommy and Tyrod's.

Speaker 3 (01:25:37):
What where did this come from? With the Giants the
last few weeks?

Speaker 2 (01:25:40):
I have no idea. I don't know. It's a complete turnaround.
Are they really that good? They really dominated some teams
out there. You wonder where that effort was all year long?
Six and eleven hardly seems you know, worthwhile. Now, I mean,
my goodness, you're gonna wonder, I think, say, Kwhad Barkley's gone,
So I wonder how many people they're gonna have to

(01:26:02):
replace with that? And who's going to be their quarterback
next year?

Speaker 3 (01:26:05):
Great question?

Speaker 4 (01:26:06):
Uh, Manton Phinis, it's supposed to be phantom menace and
it's manam phinnis. I may try to that really slow? Rites,
Can we have Fox Sports Radio drug test Arnie? Some
of his takes, Some of the takes he has today
makes me think he smokes something.

Speaker 3 (01:26:24):
And I've only been listening for about fifteen minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:26:27):
Oh yeah, Like when I said the Cowboys were gonna
win the division, or when I said, uh, you know,
like a Cowboys Dolphins, the.

Speaker 3 (01:26:34):
Eagles winning the division and the Cowboys going to the
Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (01:26:37):
Well there you go. Now how many people did that
happen to?

Speaker 4 (01:26:40):
I feel like there is a certain faction of the
media that picks the Cowboys to go to the Super
Bowl every year, but you're not among them.

Speaker 3 (01:26:46):
You're no. You pick the Dolphins to go to the
Super Bowl every single year.

Speaker 2 (01:26:51):
Well, they went out a good chance had they won tonight,
Here you go.

Speaker 3 (01:26:55):
This is good.

Speaker 4 (01:26:55):
This is fair from cowbird, he writes, Already, at least
when the Dolphins lost, you were on the taking your
medicine tonight, which I don't think he's taking his medicine.

Speaker 3 (01:27:03):
I think he's making excuses.

Speaker 4 (01:27:04):
Unlike Plank when the Arizona Wildcats beat Oklahoma, Plank was
a no show. Now I've been following Calvert. Now that
leads to an unfollow at that damn Ara on Twitter.
I've made my I told even weeks before the game.
I never we don't. You and I don't take nights off.
We just don't wait right. First of all, we work
one day a week. But and if there's ever the

(01:27:26):
opportunity to fill in ninety percent of the time, it's
a yes before even thinking about it. Right now, I guess,
I guess my wife's like needy and wants me to
do things for her and with her there her. I know,
we got a house, what more do you want?

Speaker 2 (01:27:40):
You know? What's so funny is my wife won't do
anything with me because I asked her to go to
the Nick Celticscape with me in February. She said, no,
how are you as a fan at a game I
want to go? I'm obnoxious.

Speaker 4 (01:27:53):
See that's why we would be great together again. Jason writes.
It is being reported that Ron Rivera will be dismissed
Monday because today is his birthday.

Speaker 2 (01:28:02):
So wide fire minters birthday.

Speaker 4 (01:28:04):
You always get people get fired on their birthday non stop. Yeah,
does Eric be Enemy actually get his head coaching job?

Speaker 2 (01:28:11):
Probably?

Speaker 4 (01:28:12):
Probably right, But I don't help me out in Washington
fans that have really followed this team, is there a
is there this feeling that this team was okay offensively
this year? Because I mean they did go through a
couple quarterbacks and Sam Howe wasn't protected and turned the
ball over a lot. I don't right, did Andy did

(01:28:33):
getting it away from Andy Reid? Did that really help
build up the Eric enemy resume? And then Arnie, you
brought this up a couple weeks ago after they all
get fired tomorrow. Way do you look out on the
field and oh, look, there's Eric b Enemy over there
with the Kansas City chiefs hat on helping him out.
Make sure that they're properly prepared for the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (01:28:53):
I hope that doesn't happen.

Speaker 3 (01:28:55):
You know what, bank, You're on fire tonight because he
is very right. Bake does right.

Speaker 4 (01:28:58):
Whether apps are about his real liable as Brandon Staley
punning on fourth down, Whether apps are not the most
reliable thing on the planet. So maybe Arnie, by the
time we get to midweek.

Speaker 2 (01:29:08):
It would be like thirty or forty.

Speaker 4 (01:29:09):
Five degrees, right, Okay, Yeah, two other quick texts and
we'll get to our tweets. Excuse me, then we get
to what we learn not just in week eighteen, but
in a twenty twenty three season.

Speaker 2 (01:29:20):
Yeah, HP rights guys.

Speaker 4 (01:29:22):
Firing Arthur Smith after three years with bottom five quarterbacks
each year's is foolish.

Speaker 3 (01:29:29):
He can coach his choice.

Speaker 4 (01:29:31):
No one wins with his quarterbacks, his joy check too
much coaching turnover. Don't be the guy pleading for a
b enemy. Plus, Smith doesn't need the money. He's a
billionaire literally, he's mister FedEx. Arthur Smith had the great
answer to that because his dad, his dad does run
fed X, and he's like, well, that's my dad's money.

(01:29:52):
And I think he did okay with his contract with
the Falcons. When you say it's his choice, I mean
is he the general manager to I.

Speaker 2 (01:30:00):
Mean that comes with the deal. You realize when you
were going to become the coach that the quarterback comes
with that. Unless they let you make a change. You
gotta be okay with that, you know.

Speaker 4 (01:30:09):
Or hear me out if they weren't able to get
who he wanted, because remember the big rumor was that
Atlanta desperately wanted Lamar Jackson and it didn't work out.
And then one more here this is from Pam. Pam
calling you out, Arnie. Oh, she said, I bet those
Chiefs in their home stadium, where those home fans are

(01:30:32):
really worried about the Dolphins, the fans of their twelfth man,
they'll be out in force even with.

Speaker 2 (01:30:37):
Oh, they'll be cold, that would make issues. You not
as loud in Kansas City because of the cold.

Speaker 3 (01:30:42):
They'll be so bundled up.

Speaker 2 (01:30:44):
Yeah, they'll be freezing.

Speaker 4 (01:30:46):
And by the way, JP Hunkle writes, aren't even so
worked up tonight that he still hasn't mentioned anything to
Plank about a Bowl game that they had interest in.
And know it wasn't that massacre of the pop.

Speaker 3 (01:30:56):
Tart uh.

Speaker 4 (01:30:59):
Unpopular take. I kind of think the pop tart and
the Mayo things are really cool, but we get a
little bit carried away here. I don't need coaches having
fries dumped on them or the dumped on them. I
get the sponsor implementation, but the pop tart thing was great.
Now everyone's got to try to do something. They got
They've got someone they call like Polly the Pylon, that's

(01:31:21):
the official mascot.

Speaker 3 (01:31:23):
Have you seen this today?

Speaker 4 (01:31:24):
No, they got like he's the official mascot of the
championship game. It's like, can we can I the old man,
get off my lawn and say, I just I want
to watch a football game that's well officiated and well played.
I don't need to see a pop tart get eaten.
I need to see the officials do their job. And
yet we want to worry about everything else but the

(01:31:44):
game on the field.

Speaker 3 (01:31:46):
That's my old man moment.

Speaker 2 (01:31:47):
Well, I mean, it's all about the sponsors. That's what
we We're gonna get rid of these bowl games anyway.
Nobody wants to run. Oh no they're not. They're not
going anywhere. They're not going anywhere.

Speaker 4 (01:31:56):
You'll have your twelve team playoff and you'll have five
autom bids and you'll have seven at large bids, but
you'll still have during the week You're like Motorcare Bowl
and you're pulling Weed Eater Bowl and your Brahama's Bowl.

Speaker 3 (01:32:09):
I just don't know how they're gonna work it out
schedule wise.

Speaker 4 (01:32:11):
I mean, will if I if my mind serves my
memory serves me correct, we will have just played the
four team playoff, the four teams that are left this
past weekend, UH again going ahead of twenty twenty four,
and then the championship game. I don't think it's it's
until like the third week of the NFL playoffs.

Speaker 3 (01:32:27):
I have to look real quick. I got it pulled up.

Speaker 4 (01:32:30):
But it's gonna be a completely different schedule in college
football next year.

Speaker 3 (01:32:33):
It's gonna be wild.

Speaker 2 (01:32:33):
So what are they gonna do. They're gonna play like
the first round, and then after the first round will
play some meaning those bowl games, and then the second
round and then a few more meeting those bowl games.

Speaker 3 (01:32:42):
Right?

Speaker 8 (01:32:42):
Is that?

Speaker 4 (01:32:44):
I think that's how they're gonna do it. That's they
haven't really said with the UH. They haven't really said
with the UH the other bowl games. But as as
I understand. You know, you'll have your You'll have your
quarterfinals that are gonna be the Fiesta Bowl, the Peach Bowl,
the Rose Bowl, and the Sugar Bowl.

Speaker 3 (01:33:02):
But then the first round. Here's the schedule. You're ready.

Speaker 4 (01:33:05):
First round games December twentieth and twenty first. Those are
the games that are on campus. Your quarterfinals, New Year's
Eve and New Year's Day. Your semi finals would actually
be this weekend semi finals and the Orange Bowl and
the Cotton Bowl, and your national championship game isn't until
January twentieth next year.

Speaker 2 (01:33:26):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:33:27):
So I was right.

Speaker 4 (01:33:28):
I was right in what I was trying to lay out.
Schedule twentieth, Arny, it's going to be crazy as far
as the playoffs are concerned.

Speaker 2 (01:33:34):
That is, I'm going to move to college football for
a long time.

Speaker 4 (01:33:37):
Colin Wright, you got to give Arnie a little credit, right,
at least he married a winner.

Speaker 3 (01:33:41):
Ah, that's right, You're married to a Bills fan.

Speaker 2 (01:33:43):
So winner, they've lost for Super bowls FC, Well, they've
been to those four Super Bowls, right Winner?

Speaker 4 (01:33:52):
Okay, where has the Finns offense been in the second
half of the games this season?

Speaker 2 (01:33:57):
That's why I don't know, I don't know where that happens.

Speaker 4 (01:34:00):
And then Josh writes, a typical Dolphins lead the East
all year, lead the game until the fourth, and lose
it all. I can't say much though I'm a Colts fan.

Speaker 2 (01:34:10):
They've been disupporting me since nineteen seventy two. But you
just said how you're a fan of a team that wins,
so you're better than all of us. I am, I am,
maybe just not the NFL team, other teams.

Speaker 4 (01:34:23):
And then one more here from Brendan, who has been
pretty consistent on this. He writes, if Antonio Pierce is
not hired by the Raiders as a full time head
coach after going five and four and taking over, then
Mark Davis doesn't care about his players or Raider nation.

Speaker 3 (01:34:38):
Can we break before I go off on this rule?

Speaker 2 (01:34:41):
I know, way, I just I mean, if it is
between Harbaugh and Antonio Pierce five and four or what
Harbaugh's numbers are and I don't have in front of me,
I mean, is there is It's nine day though?

Speaker 4 (01:34:53):
Right, yes, you're right. Here's the thing. I don't think
Jim Harbaugh's coming to the Raiders. I think that all this.

Speaker 3 (01:35:03):
Buzz around Harball I do think.

Speaker 2 (01:35:06):
That he's gonna think the Chargers didn't.

Speaker 3 (01:35:08):
But I think he's going to the Chargers. Okay, okay,
But with.

Speaker 4 (01:35:11):
That said, I mean, come on, man, Antonio Pierce took
over a team that was terrible, terrible, and nearly led
them to a winning record. Though it is hard to do.
You realize Harball was only in San Francisco for four
years see longer thirteen and three, eleven and four, twelve

(01:35:31):
and four, and then got in a fight with his
GM Trindball Key and went eight to eight. And that's
whenever he moved on, and they moved on, and he
was off to Michigan in twenty fifteen after coaching the
Niners to an eight and eight record in twenty fourteen.
So you're right, it would be hard if Harball came
and said, hey, I want to come here. But it's

(01:35:51):
just there's an attitude that Antonio Pierce has brought to
this team. Man, get an offensive coordinator in there. I
think they're gonna be okay. But if Harball wants it,
how can you tell him? No, Arnie, you can't. What
happens if Belichick wants it, I don't think you could
tell him, though, either you know, someone brought up a
really good point. I think I think I'm just sending
Dan Pyre a lot today. What if Bill Belichick doesn't

(01:36:13):
want to coach anymore, but it kind of wants to
be like a not even a GM, but I can assult, yeah,
like a president of operations or something like that.

Speaker 3 (01:36:21):
I'd let him do it.

Speaker 2 (01:36:22):
Tell him to go retire. If that's what he wants
to do, then either you're gonna coach and you're gonna
do it right, or go enjoy your life and go retires.

Speaker 3 (01:36:29):
Why why is that not doing it right? A lot
of coaches move on? All right?

Speaker 4 (01:36:34):
When we come back to the Tirack dot com studios,
what did we learn and what do we know after
the playoffs were set and the twenty twenty three season
came to a close. We'll dive into it next right
here with Arnie and Plank on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:36:49):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot Com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSO to
listen live.

Speaker 4 (01:37:01):
And it's Arne even playing on a Fox Football Sunday. No,
I'm watching Scott van Pelt here is the show rolls on,
and I realize, are we supposed to be doing a
tribute to Bill Belichick here tonight? Are we tipping the
cap tomb or anything or nothing?

Speaker 2 (01:37:16):
Well, everybody knows it's done. You know what's so funny
is that I'm not an insider. I had no inside
source or anything. But I've been telling you what a
year or two ago. That's it. But let's just say
mostly this year though, before the start of the season.
I can't see this guy lasting after this year. And
it didn't take you know, a rocket scientist to figure

(01:37:38):
it out. You can see the writing of the wall
was gonna be another bad year and they were gonna
move on. You know, it is a changing of the guard.
Robert Kraft is gonna be out. His son Jonathan is
gonna be taken over. I'm sure he's taken over a
long time ago.

Speaker 4 (01:37:52):
Well, when you say out, we should he's gonna retire
or give the team up, He's not. He owns the team.
So when you say out, he's not five hiring himself.

Speaker 2 (01:38:00):
No, no, but I mean, come on, the guy's far
from calling the shots. A matter of fact, I don't
think he's been calling the shots ever since his little
law running down in Florida, if you know what I mean.
So I think there's a changing and now Jonathan's going
to want to put his stamp on it and starts
with bringing a new coach, and then if I'm him,
I probably go really young and try to get a

(01:38:22):
guy there for a long time like they did with Belichick.

Speaker 4 (01:38:25):
What aboutel Mike Rabel of Tennessee, by the way, not
going to be fired, but I feel like he's maybe
the next guy, not Jared Mayo.

Speaker 2 (01:38:33):
It's certainly a candidate, there's no doubt about that. I'm
not gonna say he's not a candidate.

Speaker 3 (01:38:37):
What's the better job, Tennessee or New England.

Speaker 2 (01:38:41):
I'm gonna gets New England right now, because I mean,
you're starting fresh. You get one of those high draft picks,
and you know, they're very loyal owners if you do
a pretty decent job or a good damn good job.

Speaker 4 (01:38:55):
Like I was gonna say, guys won six Super Bowls
and you're telling me that he's gonna get fired, So
I don't know how loyal that is.

Speaker 3 (01:39:01):
I mean, they're so loyal. I mean they won.

Speaker 4 (01:39:05):
Six super Bowls. But he had a couple of close seasons,
so now he's out.

Speaker 2 (01:39:08):
They didn't give him full autonomy. They let him call
the shots from everything, and well, you know, and for
a while there he deserves to be calling the shots
like that.

Speaker 4 (01:39:18):
Do you see any other surprise firings or coaching changes
maybe a better way to put it.

Speaker 2 (01:39:27):
How many do we have right now? Four?

Speaker 3 (01:39:29):
By my count?

Speaker 4 (01:39:30):
Four we have Las Vegas, Carolina, the Chargers in Atlanta, Washington.
They haven't they haven't announced it yet Washington. But I
didn't have him on this list, so that would be
the sixth.

Speaker 2 (01:39:44):
And I'm guessing that's it.

Speaker 4 (01:39:49):
There's there's always one that kind of throws you off
right always.

Speaker 2 (01:39:55):
Uh, Minnesota. I don't know. I don't think that's gonna happened,
So I don't think after that.

Speaker 4 (01:40:02):
All right, Well me let me pose this one to you, Alredy,
because after Week eighteen of the NFL season, I know this.

Speaker 3 (01:40:10):
I can't believe I'm saying it. I think it's time
for something new in.

Speaker 2 (01:40:14):
Seattle, and I love Pete Carroll.

Speaker 4 (01:40:17):
I think it's he is going to be one of
the all time great misses. In other words, let me explain,
I thought when Pete Carroll came to the NFL, not
the first time, the second time. I thought, nobody's going
for this rah rahbs, this win of the day, win forever.

Speaker 3 (01:40:34):
Crap. Those veterans are gonna laugh him out of the.

Speaker 4 (01:40:37):
Locker room and lo and behold, he's been a heck
of a head coach.

Speaker 2 (01:40:41):
They've loved him.

Speaker 3 (01:40:43):
Heck of the head coach.

Speaker 4 (01:40:44):
Yeah, and I mean he won a super Bowl, probably
should have won a second. And if you heard his
interview with Richard Sherman, which I thought was a really
good point when they lost to the Patriots in twenty fourteen,
he had ten win teams in fifteen and six team two.
You know they they consistently have gone to the playoffs.

(01:41:04):
So I know they didn't go in twenty one, and
they went last year. They're not going this year. Dude's
been there since twenty ten. And I don't know if
you've done an age a check on Pete Carroll anytime recently, Arnie,
But my man is seventy two years.

Speaker 2 (01:41:21):
Old, insane, absolutely insane.

Speaker 3 (01:41:24):
Is there a chance that he might say, Man, it's
been a good run.

Speaker 2 (01:41:28):
No, he's not gonna hang it up, though. I don't
think they'll fire him, but he's not gonna hang it up.

Speaker 4 (01:41:32):
Okay, all right, I'm trying to find the surprise out
there always is.

Speaker 3 (01:41:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:41:36):
Well, after the twenty twenty three season, I know this,
like Arthur Fonzireli would say, the fans would say, I
was ru I was ruhor I was wrong about Trevor Lawrence.
He's he's not like the next generational quarterback. He his
stats were no better than what Daniel Jones and stuff.
I what ad disappointment Jacksonville's been. I've starting to think

(01:41:59):
Trevor Lawrence, it's the average quarterback that's pretty much. It
plays at a very easy division, should have much better numbers.
I'm I'm thinking maybe he's not all that and in
a you know, slight some bag of chips or whatever.
I'm thinking I overestimated him. You know.

Speaker 4 (01:42:16):
Well again, I'm not gonna say I completely disagree, but
he did just finish his third season in Jacksonville right.

Speaker 3 (01:42:27):
Where he took over. I mean, you think about what
he took.

Speaker 4 (01:42:32):
Now, Jacksonville had a heck of a run in what
like Gus Bradley was there in fifteen, sixteen, and seventeen.
But when he jumped on board, when the When the
Jaguars drafted him, they just came off a one in
fifteen season, and he had him in the playoffs two
years later, So I'm not I'm not ready to bury

(01:42:52):
him just yet. And as as out of it as
they were in twenty twenty two to make the playoffs,
was this isn't gonna be proper English as in it
as they were in twenty twenty three before they blew it.
But I mean, do you think the questions even start
being asked now?

Speaker 2 (01:43:08):
Oh yeah, there's gonna be people Jacksonvilleer are gonna be questioned.
But I'll even give you one more not that this
record was all that great. We're talking about a guy
that was just barely above five hundred. But as Arthur
fonz and I was wrong about Jordan Love, he looked
pretty good, did he not? This year?

Speaker 3 (01:43:28):
I mean yeah, he? I mean standing. He led the
youngest team in the in the league to the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (01:43:34):
He led the league in touch if you threw multiple
touchdowns with no interceptions. I believe this year certainly surprised me.
I thought the Packers were going to be a horrible,
horrible team, and look at him. Now, Jordan Love did
a pretty good job.

Speaker 3 (01:43:50):
All right.

Speaker 4 (01:43:50):
They got a few more to add to it. But
we got to get caught up on all things going
on in the world of sports. That's why we have
the man, the myth of legend, Steve Sag're here to
get us caught up on everything.

Speaker 3 (01:43:58):
What's going on, Steve.

Speaker 7 (01:43:59):
We'll talk about the end of the regular season with
the Bill's comeback victory at Miami tonight, But a couple
of notes about the Saints now that they are just
missing the playoffs this year. That means still no playoff
win for Derek Carr. AP put out a list of
quarterbacks in the Super Bowl era, So this goes back
to the nineteen sixties. Who've made the most regular season

(01:44:20):
starts without ever starting in a playoff victory. Derek Carr's
number three on the list, Andy Dalton number two. Jim
Hart is number one on the list.

Speaker 2 (01:44:30):
Sat the car for the Cardinals.

Speaker 7 (01:44:32):
Yeah, he lost a couple of playoff games in the
mid nineteen seventies, but New Orleans got the dominant home
win over Atlanta forty eight to seventeen today and yes tonight,
Atlanta fired head coach Arthur Smith after three years, seven
and ten each year. But New Orleans did tie Tampa
Bay for first place in the NFC South, but lost
out on the division title due to its record in

(01:44:54):
common games, and it lost the final playoff spot in
the conference to Green Bay to conference record. New Orleans,
you see, had lost at Green Bay in September eighteen seventeen,
blowing a seventeen.

Speaker 2 (01:45:10):
To nine thing. Car got hurt in the.

Speaker 3 (01:45:12):
Fourth sqster came in. Yep.

Speaker 7 (01:45:14):
So Tampa Bay wins nine to nothing at Carolina today
and that's good enough for the Bucks to take the
NFC South with that victory.

Speaker 2 (01:45:21):
Wow.

Speaker 7 (01:45:22):
Next weekend, Monday night, Tampa Bay will be hosting Philadelphia,
or what's left of them. They lost five of six.
Philly lost twenty seven to ten at the Giants today.
One of the great things about the NFL is there's
genuine hope for most teams that you can turn it
around quickly. And every year this stat keeps getting updated.

(01:45:43):
It's since nineteen ninety. This is a streak of over
thirty years in a row. At least four teams every
season qualified for the playoffs after missing the postseason the
year before. So this year you've got Detroit in the playoffs.
In Cleveland and Houston Rams and Steelers are back in
the playoffs. Green Bay won today to get in. Green
Bay seventeen to nine over Chicago. Next Sunday on Fox TV,

(01:46:06):
Green Bay at Dallas four to thirty pm Eastern Time.
Dallas won the NFC East got the two seed. Won
thirty eight ten at Washington. But Detroit's going in as
division champ Texans. What a weekend going in as division champ.
Jacksonville out entirely, that's why the Steelers are in. Jacksonville
lost today twenty eight ten at Tennessee. The Jaguars turned

(01:46:28):
it over on downs their last two drives of the season,
on a fourth and goal at the one and with
three straight in completions at the thirty three. Trevor Lawrence
with the bad shoulder, two touchdown passes, two interceptions as well.
The reason Pittsburgh is in it won yesterday and then
with scoreboard watching today, but again, Steelers superstar on defense TJ.

(01:46:50):
Watt left with his spring MCL yesterday, hit by a
teammate in a collision. If you saw Pittsburgh without TJ.
Watt this year, probably not thinking good things about their chances.
It's the Bills Sunday next Sunday, one pm Eastern Time,
hosting Pittsburgh, which means Miami, as a sixth seed, has
to go to very cold Kansas City on Saturday night.

(01:47:13):
Dolphins had to lead at home tonight to end the
regular season, and then the Bills got two touchdowns in
the fourth, and.

Speaker 2 (01:47:18):
Then they called every penalty against the Dolphins.

Speaker 7 (01:47:21):
Or not, twenty one to fourteen. The final Josh Allen
three hundred and fifty nine yards passing. He also had
fifteen carries sixty seven yards rushing. So the Bills take
the division title for a fourth straight year. They get
the two seed. Cleveland did play, at least people in
Brown's uniforms played. They were down thirty one to nothing
in the fourth, lost thirty one to fourteen at Cincinnati.

(01:47:42):
Cleveland resting starters. Browns will be opening the postseason schedule
this Saturday afternoon. It's Cleveland at the Texans. Houston won
last night, eliminating the Colts. Again, I say it outloud,
the Houston Texans are a division champion.

Speaker 2 (01:47:55):
And in the NFL. And this stack goes back.

Speaker 7 (01:47:57):
Almost fifty years now. At least one team has won
its division the season after missing the playoffs. So when
you've got everybody, I mean, this is very true on
Draft weekend, everybody saying, oh my team, I can see hope,
I can Inevitably there is somebody like Detroit.

Speaker 2 (01:48:16):
It comes true.

Speaker 7 (01:48:17):
It's it's unlike other sports, and it's amazing to see
year after year, decade after decade. Detroit beat Minnesota today,
but Lions tight and Sam Laporta left with a knee injury.
By the way, Nick Mullen started for the Vikings in
this loss, had almost four hundred yards passing. Rams won
at San Francisco twenty one to twenty in a game
where each team missed an extra point kick. Carson Wentz

(01:48:39):
was the Rams quarterback today. Second half. He had two
touchdowns and a key two point conversion late. So Rams
at Detroit next Sunday night. Thank you Carson Wentz for
the victory to give us the matchup we have been
talking about four weeks on this show, Jared Goff against
Sean McVay, Matthew Stafford back in Detroit, the Lions actually

(01:48:59):
hosting a playoff game. Cannot wait for that next Sunday night.

Speaker 2 (01:49:04):
That should be a good atmosphere out there in Detroit.

Speaker 7 (01:49:06):
Absolutely, it'll be a good atmosphere. Cannot wait. Jets in
the Snow won seventeen three at New England Breeze Hole,
thirty seven carries one hundred and seventy eight yards in
a score. Seattle won twenty one twenty at Arizona, but
Seattle and Minnesota each needed Green Bay to lose.

Speaker 2 (01:49:21):
That didn't happen.

Speaker 7 (01:49:22):
Kansas City won thirteen to twelve at the Chargers. Austin
Eckler was another one of those guys we talked about
that had a contract incentive and a big one if
he could get Oh, I think it was over one
hundred yards from scrimmage today. He wound up with ten
carries eleven yards, So no, he didn't good. Las Vegas
beat Denver twenty seven to fourteen, repeating Atlanta fired head

(01:49:43):
coach Arthur Smith. College football's national title game is Monday nights.
NBA Late Game went to the Lakers over the Clippers
one oh six, one oh three. Dodgers signed former Seattle
outfielder Taoskar Hernandez to a one year deal. And guys,
it should be in May where we find out the
official NFL schedule, I mean the actual dates. Who's on primetime.

(01:50:04):
What order is your schedule? But as of now, because
the regular season's over, we know the opponents for every
team for twenty twenty four. The Raiders, for example, their division,
it's their turn to play the Baltimore Ravens Division. So
there's four of the Raiders games, plus you got the
home and home against your own plus it's time for
the Raiders Division to play the NFC South as well.

(01:50:26):
We know that the Raiders next year will have a
road game at Baltimore. There will be a Raiders at
Rams game and Raiders at Dolphins in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 2 (01:50:37):
Nice, let's go, Let's go.

Speaker 7 (01:50:40):
Dallas Cowboys next season will have home games against Detroit,
the rematch Dallas hosting Baltimore next season as well. What
about San Francisco? Next season? San Francisco will have home
games against Dallas, Detroit, and Kansas City.

Speaker 4 (01:50:55):
Beggeez, good stuff, thanks, Steve. I have a great week,
manager you the title est tonight. A couple of notes
here real quick, I got the numbers from this week.

Speaker 3 (01:51:06):
The uh that.

Speaker 4 (01:51:08):
Number seven and a half for the bill Steelers, Yeah,
seven and.

Speaker 2 (01:51:12):
A half, Dolphins, Chiefs four No, no, no no no.
I well I'm sorry, I have Bill's nine and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:51:18):
Nine and a half. Yeah, this is uh oh, so
has that moved?

Speaker 1 (01:51:21):
Then?

Speaker 4 (01:51:21):
I'm looking at betonline dot a G So they yeah,
up to nine and a half. So that means from
what was sent to open, it's up two points already.
That's what they really don't think TJ. Watt's gonna play,
do they No?

Speaker 2 (01:51:37):
And that's and they just know that Buffalo at Home
is the pick there. And I also think the Cowboys
are the pick.

Speaker 3 (01:51:43):
Though I'm half there.

Speaker 2 (01:51:45):
I don't think that's gonna really move the line as
much as as people anticipate. There's gonna be movement into
Dolphin Kansas City, or there's already half. You said two
and a half. It's up to three and a half
right now. Wow, the over under dropped the forty three
and a half, so already dropped four points.

Speaker 4 (01:52:01):
A couple of quick thoughts on the surprise potential firing
hit us up on Twitter at Stinking Genius one at
Plank Show Josh and the Manham Finnis, we're both thinking
the same way. Josh writes, what about the Jags firing
Doug Peterson? Lawrence looked bad this year? Late season collapse,
surprise firing. The minutes added, do you guys think that

(01:52:25):
Doug Peterson has fired after this year if the Jaguars
don't have a good or successful let me rephrase that.
He's like, do you guys think that Doug Peterson is
fired next after next year? If the Jaguars don't have
a good or successful season. I think that's a situation
where if things start slow for the Jags, you can
be out after.

Speaker 3 (01:52:43):
Like four or five games next year.

Speaker 2 (01:52:45):
But now's you got the names out there. Though, as
you mentioned, Harbor probably gonna go to the Chargers. You
probably really don't want Belichick, So yeah, you don't have
to go ahead and do it this year, though.

Speaker 3 (01:52:58):
John writes, what have we learned? We've learned it this time.

Speaker 4 (01:53:01):
Next Sunday the Steelers, Packers and Dolphins, a season will
be ov are over.

Speaker 2 (01:53:07):
No, no, no, no, not gonna happen with the Dolphins.
I feel real good about them taking the Chiefs. I
really do.

Speaker 4 (01:53:14):
Is this where I remind you you felt real good
about them against the Bills tonight?

Speaker 2 (01:53:18):
No I knew there was injuries, Chris? What's wrong with you?

Speaker 3 (01:53:21):
Did you pick against him?

Speaker 2 (01:53:23):
If I knew Mozart didn't wasn't gonna play. That was
a game dive decision, and uh Waddle didn't play, and
Xavier Howard didn't play, and ever at Van Ginkle got heard.
What's wrong with you?

Speaker 4 (01:53:36):
I mean, should we go down the list of injured
Bills players too? The day we are without her? Are
you just gonna make it one sided?

Speaker 3 (01:53:43):
Here?

Speaker 2 (01:53:43):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:53:44):
Yeah, made me right? Arnie called Bill Belichick's retirement. Arnie,
can you call the Bears firing some people here?

Speaker 2 (01:53:51):
I told you Belicher. You never give me credit for that.
I come be calling that five times.

Speaker 4 (01:53:55):
Yes, you don't get credit when you say it every
year for ten years, and he won a Super Bowl
in that stretch, and then all of a sudden, I
told you he was gonna get fired. You've said it
every freaking year.

Speaker 2 (01:54:08):
This year, but not every year, just this.

Speaker 3 (01:54:10):
Year, every year, just like you picked the Dolphins every
single year. Right.

Speaker 2 (01:54:16):
I would have thought better had we won today?

Speaker 3 (01:54:18):
Allan?

Speaker 4 (01:54:19):
Right, So the Steelers beat Buffalo and the Baltimore Ravens
so we can hear poor Arnie when Kansas City is
actually hosting the AFC title Game for the sixth year
in a row.

Speaker 3 (01:54:29):
Yeah, that would be something right.

Speaker 4 (01:54:30):
Patrick Mahomes, though inevitably, eventually will have to play a
road playoff game. It's gonna happen at some point in
his career, and Blake writes A Baker writes, forty two
of the NFL playoff deck is a wild card. That's
a hell of a poker game. I mean, you only
got three divisions, so you add the what the three
four wild cards from each conference in there? Yeah, I

(01:54:53):
mean you've got the four divisions. Excuse me, you've got
the You've got the mess that is the NFL playoffs
and all these freaking tie breakers. I gotta be honest
with you, man, I'm I'm glad to Seger laid out
how the Saints didn't get in because I.

Speaker 3 (01:55:09):
Was like the Packers.

Speaker 4 (01:55:10):
I mean, the Packers had that good of a divisional
record and the tiebreakers that we go to.

Speaker 2 (01:55:15):
I had the tiebreakers in front of me because I
couldn't have them all memorized, so I put it up
on my computer because I couldn't figure it out on
my own.

Speaker 3 (01:55:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:55:24):
Of the four to eight what is it, fourteen playoff
teams in each division or excuse me, in each conference.
You look at it and six of them are wildcard teams.
So yeah, it kind of makes things a little bit crazier.
It's gonna be similar to what we'll see in college
next year. Speaking of college, I hear Arnie has a
pick for them.

Speaker 2 (01:55:42):
Yes I do, Yes, I do.

Speaker 3 (01:55:43):
Coming out. We'll see who he's going with next.

Speaker 4 (01:55:46):
As we put a wrap on this edition of Arne
and Plank on Fox Football Sunday.

Speaker 4 (01:56:02):
All right, final segment for us before Big Ben Mallard takes.

Speaker 3 (01:56:08):
Over right here on the Fox Sports Radio. Great job tonight.

Speaker 4 (01:56:12):
I know that you will pretend like you don't know
these people, Arnie, but shout out to our buddy Ryan Berschinger,
who's been sitting in tonight. Lorena has crushed it. Steve
Seger on updates, and of course the millions and millions
of editors behind the scenes bringing us all of the
great audio that I have completely and totally ignored tonight.

(01:56:33):
So my bad, what do you say you're taking away?
Stinking genius? Give us some picks for the week ahead
of us the playoffs and of course.

Speaker 3 (01:56:40):
The National Championship game tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:56:43):
Let's start with the National Championship game, looking forward to
that right now. Michigan a five and that porn favorite
over on their fifty six and a half. I like
the upset, gonna go with Washington. Actually have to score
thirty four to twenty three in favor of the Huskies,
which mean I have it at fifty seven, So a
slight play to the over in that one, but give

(01:57:04):
me Washington plus the five and a half. I liked
them there. Let's get to the playoffs. Texans, Browns, Texans,
excuse me, Cleveland. The Browns are a two and a
half point favorite. I'm gonna go with the Texans with
the upset thirty twenty seven for the Texas to get
the victory. Mike Dolphins and the Chiefs right down. Kansas

(01:57:24):
City three and a half point favorite over my Dolphins,
doesn't matter. Miami wins it twenty seven twenty over Kansas
City and that pathetic offense that they got. Pittsburgh and
the Bills. Bills now up to nine and a half
in that one. They'll cover too, twenty seven to thirteen

(01:57:44):
Bills over Pittsburgh Dallas and the Packers Dallas favored by
seven and a half and they'll blow them out. Going
with the Cowboys thirty four to seventeen over Green Bay.
Do have a couple upsets Lions and the Rams. Wayan's
a three point favorite, but I see the Rams going

(01:58:05):
to Detroit getting the victory thirty four thirty one. Go
with the Rams on this one, and Tampa Bay in
Philadelphia in Tampa, Philadelphia a slight favorite of two and
a half. Gonna go with Tampa to pull off the
upset twenty seven twenty four Tampa. So there you have

(01:58:26):
my picks, two of them, you as you please. No
longer strictly for entertainment purpose.

Speaker 4 (01:58:31):
It only so I understand what the numbers say, and
I don't know what it will end up being by
the time we get to kickoff on Monday night. Yeah,
but if Tampa wins that game, with the way things
have been going for Philly and kind of unknown on
what health wise it looks like for Jalen Hurts right now,
would that really be that big of an upset.

Speaker 2 (01:58:54):
Just the whole Baker Mayfield thing in that story and
the fact that they had to win it to lot. Yeah,
be a little bit of an upset, kind of because
I mean, still the Eagles are favorite on the road
there two and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:59:06):
Do you see, okay?

Speaker 4 (01:59:07):
Of the teams that have been struggling right, Kansas City,
even though they've won their last two, Mahomes didn't play today, Philadelphia,
I guess I throw your Dolphins in there because they
have one win over a team with a winning record. Actually,
don't throw Miami there because you'll pick them. Why am
I asking you this? But who would you say is
most likely to turn things around? Kansas City or Philadelphia?

Speaker 2 (01:59:30):
I gotta go with Philadelphia?

Speaker 3 (01:59:33):
Is it because you're Dolphins?

Speaker 1 (01:59:34):
Man?

Speaker 2 (01:59:35):
Because Kansas City is going down to Miambi? What's wrong
with you?

Speaker 3 (01:59:40):
Well?

Speaker 4 (01:59:40):
What's wrong with me? Did you not watch this fall?
I mean, I guess not. Obviously, I'm dumb. I watch
I watched a team this year that someone who claims
to know everything about football tells me how great they are,
that has one win over a team with a winning record,
and when they had a chance to clinch a game
at home, got their ass kicked by special teams and

(02:00:01):
got bullied on a couple of drives. But that's the
team that's gonna go into Kansas City, and everybody's injured.

Speaker 3 (02:00:07):
This time of year, Arnie, everybody.

Speaker 2 (02:00:09):
Is not like we are.

Speaker 3 (02:00:10):
You're gonna be you.

Speaker 4 (02:00:12):
I'm just you're setting yourself up for sadness. I've seen
this movie too many times. I've seen the Mahomes. We
doubt him, and the next thing you know, you look
up and he's playing Let's go Miami. We'll see you
guys next Sunday Night, Big me Out. We're coming up
next right here on Fox Sports Radio
