Speaker 1 (00:01):
Don't listening to Fox Sports for you. Oh, let's go
stinking genius. How you hanging in there? So I think
I have technical difficulties, but I could fix it in
the next eleven minutes and thirteen seconds. What would make
it fix? Wait? Is that the proper English? What would

(00:21):
fix it? Sorry, I gotta tell you that Dolphins come back. Alph.
You know, it's so hard to play against the charger
defense and the officials, and it's it's it's just killing me. Well,
at least that terrible roughing the passer didn't hurt anything. Literally,
they had a punt three plays later. No, it did hurt.
That did hurt. That's that's not true. And that did hurt?

(00:42):
Did they did they go down to score on that drive? No,
but they would have been punting from in their own
end zone, So you know that's the difference there. Don't
tell me it wouldn't have heard it got over it.
No one's complaining about it. It was a terrible, awful call,
maybe the worst of the season, but could have been words,
could have gone down and scored. You're still alive. We're

(01:04):
about the score until they purposely called potentional grounding. I've
I've never seen a potentional grounding being thrown forty yards
down down the middle of the field. Well, when there's
not anyone forty yards near the football and you've got
to do it in your face, then yeah, I'll I'm
with you on the roughing the passer. But already, come on, man,
he was throwing it up to absolutely nobody wrong with

(01:26):
your what's wrong with your m v P candidate tonight?
I don't know you knew the Charges were coming to play.
I told you this was gonna happen, that they were
gonna lose three games in the order San Francisco to
the Charges and to the Buffalo Bills. This season, the
season is having on the line here they lose this game,
I got my sports anxiety at all time high because

(01:47):
I know if they lose this game and they're not
going to make the playoffs, probably it's aren't they kill
me again? I'll go back to this being a you problem,
because you and most of the Dolphin fans at work
on this network seemed to go from yeah, we're winning
a few games, feel good, could win our division of
Oh my god, we're going to the super Bowl. Too's
gonna be the m v p and Mike McDaniel's gonna
be the greatest thing ever. And if Steven Ross is

(02:08):
gonna be the Owner of the Year. I mean you
can kind of like take it step by step and
enjoy every moment, but you've got to make everything. You're
going to the super Bowl or bust. Arnie. This is
a you problem. Why couldn't we have taken BRAC party
when we had the chance for crying out loud, you
went with another big twelve quarterback you want with Skyler Tompson.
We're coming to you alive Tonight is always from the

(02:28):

help you get there and unmatched a selection, fast, free shipping,
free road hazard protection and over ten thousand recommended installers
tire rack dot com. The wait tire buying should be
Bo Benson is in the house tonight. Uh Bobo is
back at least for a while. Only uh at Aaron

(02:49):
Bobo RNL On Twitter. Nick Cope is helping us out
because Arnie gave Steve to Sager the night to actually
go work one of his eighties six jobs as the
is He spotder or statistician for the chart Jers Radio network.
I have no idea what zero. So okay, let's you
real quick because because we're in this, we got a
lot to get to tonight. We've got week fourteen almost

(03:10):
in the rear view. The Dolphins have a quick turnout. Man.
They gotta play next Saturday against the Bills. And yeah,
they're not beating Buffalo. I mean, can you imagine both
of us are gonna be eliminated on the same weekend,
the Raiders and the Dolphins all in the same week
The Raiders have already been eliminated. We're not even talking
about that disaster. I'll just have to hear eighty six
promos about it tonight during our commercial breaks. But you

(03:32):
know what's fascinating to me about this game is the Chargers.
And I think every single Charger fan that's not watching
the game and has tuned in because they know how
this is gonna end. The Chargers are a lot like
the Raiders outside of the fact that the Chargers have,
you know, Justin Herbert and we're stuck with stinking Derek Carr.
But they've been in this situation all year long where
they've been in tight games and they haven't been able

(03:54):
to seal the deal. So in a positive, Arny, you
have a team that's been its own worst enemy so far,
the Sea reason. On the negative, I can't even begin
to tell you what's going on with to tonight. Yeah, yes,
he had the big touchdown past the Tyree kill, but
it took a receiver our defender falling down. That was
a dime and it hit him in stride. But I mean,

(04:14):
let's go back to the halftime numbers three or fifteen
for twenty five yards. I mean, what are the world
is going on with him? And I told you it
was the perfect storm. You knew that the Chargers their
season was on the line. They couldn't have lost this game. Um,
otherwise it's you know, they would have a long uphill
climbed to the playoffs, so they had nothing to lose.
They mixed it up. They took away the middle of

(04:34):
the field. Other teams have done that before, but um,
this was the times it affected the Dolphins. I don't know, man,
it it's destroying me. They look horrible out there. But
you see, this is the sign of a super Bowl
team if you're able to overcome win on the road
by playing a lousy game and still be able to win.
I don't know if the Dolphins are gonna be able
to pull that off on the road where it does

(04:55):
seem like you have a few more fans than you
typically would in a road environment. Oh, I don't I
don't know if that crowd is quite as damming as
it's gonna be when you have to go to Buffalo
and oh yeah, we already looked right, snow coming next
week for you in Buffalo. Yeah, nothing nothing bad. Couple
of inches there, so probably about five six inches nothing
nothing big time out there. Everybody's used to it, you know,

(05:17):
something that everyone that's you know, living in South Beach
and training, you know, my ready to go for it.
For for an update on those numbers here they are
two of tonight, six of twenty two for a hundred
and twelve yards and a touchdown. Of those one hundred
and twelve yards passing sixty of those came on one
touchdown past the Tyreek Hill, who is playing on an

(05:39):
injured ankle for and and still is faster than like
nine of the people in the league. You know, I again,
I know that the Broncos Chiefs game ended up being
a pretty damn good game down the stretch, but I
dig that they flex this out. This has ended up
being fun. It's not the prettiest football that we've ever seen.
But listen, I come into it rooting for your team

(06:00):
to win. I want to see the Dolphins win. But man,
this has been one heck of a challenge in a
night where every single person on that Sunday night football desk,
every time they do this, it happens they all had
to pick Miami. No one had to stop and say, well,
I think there's a chance of the Chargers could win this.
And now you know where are we? What are you
on your TV feed? You're well ahead of me right now?
What do you got? I got them picking up the

(06:22):
first down, which is just killing me. But it's destroying
me when I watched that. Okay, so how much times
left to the game? And what's the score? They put
it up there? Yet they haven't just showing the replay
him the first down? Al right, right right now there's
eight oh six and county. See, this is how bad
my app living life is. I'm at third and three

(06:42):
with eight to go in the game. Yeah, so everyone
every now and then, that's new to this program. Here
on Fox Sports Radio with Arnie and plank. We've been
doing it together for a minute, Arnie will give you
an oh ah and then not being able to explain
it to you. Typically, you know, we'll be able to
tell again. The studio or all eventually catch up at
some point. But it's been fun tonight man, and in

(07:05):
general while we watch this play out for the Chargers,
I don't know what that seventh playoff spot is gonna
look like in the a f C. I don't know
what it's gonna look like. Record wise. The Jets lost
again today. Um, if you just want to get real
nerdy about the playoff picture, looks like that's a seven
and six team that owns that seventh spot right now.

(07:26):
And the Dolphins could be eight and five after tonight.
Oh they will be that. I mean, the charges are
already in field goal range. It looks like, so this
game is gonna be over. We're we're done. So where
it's over? So and in the Patriots played tomorrow night
against Arizona, who's playing for their lives. So where we
thought you might need to be ten and seven to
make the playoffs in the a f C, suddenly you know,

(07:46):
make maybe nine and eight. I'm not gonna say an
under five team is gonna make it. I don't think
the Jets are going to completely implode, but Arnie at
the very bottom of the a f C. Now that
becomes interesting because the Patriots are by no means out
of it. The Jaguars suddenly entered the chat today even
though they're three games under five hundred. Right now, you
can get hot down the stretch and potentially make a push,

(08:08):
especially since the Jets are gonna be what down potentially
to their third string quarterback now that Mike White was
in the hospital today. Yeah, they rushed what they rushed
to the hospital after the game. The Dolphins don't. I mean,
they're only gonna be a game up on the Jets
um and on the Chargers, and they won't have the
typebreaker over the Chargers, so uh. And if the Patriots wind,
they'll be only be a game up on the Patriots

(08:28):
with another game against the both the Jets and the Patriots.
I'm I'm not liking the way things are going now
for my Dolphins. Is killing me, Yeah it is. Uh.
It's been a bit of a tough night. And you
heard already mentioned that the Chargers get in the field
goal range Keenan Allen with another big catch. Anytime the
Chargers throw the ball down, you're loving this, right, You're
loving Yeah, you're loving that. My seasons coming to an

(08:48):
end when you're there. You're loving this. I know you are.
You're playing the Chargers. I can't stand the Chargers already.
What are you talking about? I'd rather you win now.
I'm sure ninety percent of people listening who got tired
of you and the eighties six other Dolphin fans we
apparently employ telling us how you're going to the super
Bowl and you're unbeatable. I'm sure that they don't mind
seeing you. Maybe take an L or two. That's for me,

(09:10):
you know. And VJ. Husky who who earlier today, I'm like,
we want the Bills to win, so the jed slus
that puts us in a good position to at least
make a wild card, and like, no, no, we want
to win the division and we want to win the division.
I go, we're not winning the division. The Bills have
doing even schedule. Stop being pigs. Just trust me on this.

(09:31):
Let me let me worry about how we get into
the playoffs. They don't listen to me. That's why I
hate them, and I hate Dolphin fans. I hate everybody
Right now, Um, I like this from Justin and Cincinnati.
I don't usually go to the Twitter dot com website
or that app Very early in the show, we justin
rights Arnie's trying some reverse psychology s with the Dolphins

(09:53):
right now. Yeah, I feel the same way too. It's
almost like now you're talking about I mean literally, they
want a game by like a point earlier this season
against like the Texans or somebody like, oh, the greatest
team ever. Now you're down six with apparently an MVP candidate,
and you're already tapping out and just barely want to
make the playoffs. They're they're being first down on the

(10:14):
sixteen yard line and there's list than six. What's wrong
with you? All they have to do is kick a
field goal? The game's done. Oh, come on, man, this
is the NFL games that did you see the Texans
today and what they did against the Cowboys? Games? Never over,
I mean never over, Arnie, especially whenever you have this
MVP candidate at quarterback. Oh, let's check the updated m
v P odds. Can we hold on here? What are

(10:36):
the updated in MVP? I'm just just crumbled right down down,
just down the tubes, like the stock market, I can't
find like the live ones I need. I need a
true gambling addict to find the live odds for uh
the NFL MVP chase. But I hate the Chargers, man,
I just I just hate that. I don't think you
should hate the Chargers. I think you should hate Justin Herbert.

(10:59):
I hate him. I don't think this is a team
that literally is as beat up as any team in
the NFL. There without three of their starting offensive linemen,
there without their best defensive player, two of their best
defensive players both Derwin Derwin James has just suited up, right, No,
Joey boasted to this is like losing to the Rams
with Baker Mayfield. Oh I'm sorry, No, this is worse.

(11:20):
This is because you're actually good, or at least you
think you're good. Um, you're you're look at I'm finally
seeing that run by Herbert. Look at the Miran just
slide so that the first down kind of say a
show off for crying out loud. If to uh our
Tyreek killed did the same thing, you'd be crotch chopping

(11:42):
with him. So you can't you can't say that at all.
But it's like a slow death. You know, this is
just we can't stop him on third down. We can't
get the ball back. There is nothing on the planet
worse than when your team cannot stop the other team
from grinding the clock and running the football. Nothing on
the planet wars. And right now as it stands, we

(12:04):
need a miracle. Well yeah, I mean there's still four
nine left in the game, but field go. It's first
in goal. A field goal puts it out of reach
and makes it a two score game. The clock and
we have one time out left. The clock is running
like a sieve. I mean, it's just it's just over
and just killing me. Have you not paid attention to
the Chargers this year? They're very rad or esk and

(12:25):
everything that they do. So I wouldn't get too carried
away hand off or something like that. Hey, I wouldn't
put it passed him. I wouldn't put it past him
one all all right, listen, um, we gotta grab our
first time out of the show. We gotta let r
any kind of uh simmer in some of this pain
right now. See if there is a possibility for the
Dolphins to have a miraculous comeback here because and by

(12:48):
the way, I mean, listen, I'll take this game tonight.
It's been fun. But I did have to laugh that
they flexed this game out to Sunday night and every
single stupid expert for NBC picked one team to win
and they're gonn to lose, Like, isn't the whole idea
of flexing a game out to be a competitive matchup?
And everyone's like, oh, they're gonna beat him, Like, well,
what are we doing? But the Chargers having first and goal,

(13:09):
they're touchdown away, a field goal away from basically sealing
this thing. But Arnie, let's take a moment to talk
about a major story that's developing tonight in the in
the sports world. Can I can I I'm sorry and
you're not sorry to interrupt. Go ahead. Would you believe
the charges fumbled but they recovered it. The Dolphins were
right there and they couldn't get the ball. They they
fumbled the ball that Dolphins couldn't get it. Could you

(13:31):
believe that? Sorry about that. Probably not the right time
to try to do a tribute to Mike Leach, but
I'm sorry, Yeah, I mean, you can let me finish
the sinence. But that's okay, that's not this show. That's
not what it's about. So thoughts out to Mike Leach
in the Mississippi State family. He's in a fight for
his life for everything that we see, uh and have
been coming out. Not a lot of details on it,

(13:53):
just you know, tweets that are saying, hey, keep Mike
Leach and his family and your thoughts. He's been battling
with an illness for a while. Head coach and Messissippi State.
Different dude, right, different personality as a head coach. So
just here off the top, wanted to make sure that
the college football world, or maybe if you're not a
college football fan, you kind of knew what was going
on this evening as Mike Leach is, according to all

(14:16):
those who cover this program in a fight for his life.

hear lifetime warranty, free home delivery, Big Green egg dot com. Right,
Truman a warning? How are you hanging in there? Aren't
he still? It's not good. It's not good. Obviously they're
done by two scores, so it's gonna take a miracle.
I think Tyreek kills out of the game. Did they
take him out after the passive infurence call? I didn't
see him in the next I did not either. Um,
but I mean, I'm sure he's if he's battled through

(16:04):
this far, I don't think he'll tap out now. And
by the way, where were you contact? Not past interference?
You know? I heard you say that getting into the
number seven spot it would take like nine wins. It's
gonna take like ten, maybe maybe eleven to get that
last playoffs spot. How so, well, you've got three teams
right now with seven wins. Only one of them would

(16:25):
get that last playoff spot. Even the Dolphins have eight
wins and they're the number six spot. You would say
you think the Dolphins are gonna do in their last
three games. I think they'll lose again next week To
go okay six, you're probably gonna have to have ten
wins to make the playoffs. So so you you think
the the Jets, you think the Jets are gonna take
care of Detroit after what we saw Detroit do this

(16:46):
today the Jets have Detroit, Jacksonville who suddenly a wagon,
the Seahawks in Miami. So I'm not sitting here ready
to tell you that the Jets are gonna win ten
games this season. You've already you said the Patriots have
reached your win total you had for him this year,
right at six and six. So, I mean, they've got
Arizona on Monday Night football, then they got Vegas since

(17:09):
Miami and Buffalo, um, the Chargers who were watching, they're
gonna improve the seven and six barring some sort of meltdown.
They've got Tennessee, Indie, the Rams and Denver. So maybe
what two and to the rest of the way out. Yeah,
I don't I don't think we're looking at anything too
crazy at seven like you feel like it is in
the NFC, in the a f C right now. I
just feel because there was three teams fighting it out

(17:30):
that somebody, uh, you got two teams that will win
like two or three games next to you know, you're
going into the final weekend and they got like ten wins.
We'll see how it plays out. I mean, we'll see
what the Patriots do against Arizona. Obviously that's a monster
game for them to Yeah, and and again, who knows
how this plays out. I'm just not I'm not wowed
with anyone in basicly one myself from two of tonight

(17:53):
at about six through eleven in the a f C
right now, and they have everyone still in the hunt
on their graphic from Pittsburgh to Cleveland to Vegas to
Jacksonville and the Chargers if they can hold on here.
But it's to me, it's still I think it's gonna
be ugly for that seven. See don't remember last year
the Raiders were six and seven and when their final

(18:14):
four games to make the playoffs too, So who knows,
Maybe you could see the the Patriots go on a
bit of a rod and that ends up being tin
and seven for that final spot or even eleven wins.
But I just I don't think that's gonna be the case.
But at least for tonight, Arnie, at least for tonight
Justin Herbert looked like he was more than just a
social media quarterback, right well, I mean he was he

(18:37):
good good, I mean he got great. Uh, I mean
he obviously I played too. But really the start of
this game was the Chargers defense. Let's be honest, They've
done a phenomenal job. They got a lot of three
and outs they I mean, the Miami defense has been
on the field like like crazy. So I mean, my goodness, man,
that defense, which was like a sieve every other game,

(18:58):
now becames like the best de fenceince what Bears. So
congratulations to them. Time of possession with a minute ten
left in the game and the Chargers up twenty three
seventeen Dolphins driving though time of possession for Los Angeles
two for the Dolphins. Quick math, almost what eighteen eighteen

(19:21):
minutes and six seconds difference for the Chargers. Uh in
this game. That's insane, in an NFL game, insane, Arenie.
And then like you said, the Dolphins with Buffalo Green
Bay at New England and the Jets. Wait a minute,
is this right? The Dolphins haven't even been in the
red zone tonight. No, they have not been in the

(19:44):
red zone. Just looking at the team, because you brought
up the time of possession, so I went and looked
at it. The Chargers are two for six in the
red zone opportunities. Tonight Miami is zero for zero. Now
we'll see what happens to what happened here? Aren't on
fourth too? They went ahead and kicked the field goals.
So the Dolphins are lining up for the onside kick

(20:05):
because they have no timeouts left, one ten left, so
I mean if they get the onside kick, there's still
a chance. If they don't get it, the game is over.
So they're obviously gonna need a miracle. And the ball
hits a Charger guy in they're fumbling forward and there's
a big pile up, and if the Dolphins somehow get it,
I'm gonna let out a screen like you wouldn't believe. Well,
the Dolphin players are pointing that's their ball. The Chargers

(20:27):
are saying that it's their ball. I'm just waiting for
the guys in the stripe because you know, oh, come on,
the guy's pointing Chargers ball and he's not even looking.
He's like, no, no, he didn't charges ball. You don't
even know who's ball, and you don't have no idea.
You didn't even look. Gosh, why don't I make the
call Dolphins ball? Now that the Chargers got the ball,
so the game's over. So you think he just made

(20:48):
this decision. Pain, He's gonna point towards the Charger. You
have to get down there. Look who's got the ball?
You can't do I think somebody topped them on the shoulders.
I think we recovered it. He that's good enough for
Charges football. I can't believe that it went off this guy.
Wait till you see this. This was perfect. This is
like the bounce that you want. I don't know where
the Dolphin players worthy. They should have been closer to

(21:11):
get the ball. My goodness, man, that would have been
a miracle. Yeah. Well, I'll tell you what. I'll tell
you what. The Chargers they try to do whatever they can.
And and again I'm not piling on they're gonna win
this football game and all likelihood, but they are really
really good at blowing not just big leads, but anything

(21:32):
whenever it comes to the football season. And yeah, they
could not. And in fact, that ball I'm watching the
replay of it now. That ball literally is just sitting
there on the waiting. I know I got. I got
where the Dolphin players run, the running and pointing instead
of falling on the foot was that not the perfect that?

(21:53):
For once you see a perfect don high kick where
it did somebody and you have a chance to recover it.
Every other time it's like somebody catches it or it
goes out of bounds. You finally have a chance to
recover it and try to pull off the miracle, and
you're not down there. Well. One thing that this win
does do is it forces the Chiefs to have to
win next weekend in order to win the a f
C West, Because if Miami had beate in Los Angeles tonight,

(22:16):
then the Chiefs would have won the a f C West.
I think it would be their seventh straight year when
in the a f C West. But with the Chargers
winning tonight, the Chiefs still have to go out and
beat suddenly mighty Houston, who pushed Dallas to the breaks tonight.
So Chiefs are likely gonna win their uh seventh straight
a f C West. But yeah, Chargers will win this

(22:37):
one tonight by final score of twenty three to seventeen. Arnie,
how you do before we get naked here and before
we get an update, you're gonna be okay? Show? No,
I'm not gonna be okay because I'm more of a
fan than you are. But my question is this, Chris Um,
I have to pastor after the Raiders lost on So
don't try to tell me that you're more of a
fan than I am. What happens of two of plays

(22:58):
like this the rest of the season. Are there gonna
be idiots out there saying we gotta in a new quarterback.
Can't win with the Adulgia. That's the real tour. We
need a new quarterback. Guy. Are you looking in the
mirror while you're having this conversation right now, because that's
usually how you are. You're telling me you didn't have
a tweet ready to sit at the end of the

(23:18):
first half seeing who the backup was if Teddy Bridgewater
could come in the second half. It's in reaction tonight
to the Chargers went over my easing my seven quarter
Hall of Fame. I want you to know that Justin
Herbert has propelled Los Angeles back into the playoff. Makes

(23:38):
the Dolphins have a quick turnaround Saturday night and what
looks like it's gonna be a weather game against the
Buffalo Bills. Get all the details of this and everything
in Week fourteen in the National Football League from the
tire rack dot Com, studios, ladies and gentlemen. And for
Steve to Sagred's Nick Cope, what's going on? Nick? What's
going on? Guys? You were asking what Steve does with
the Chargers. I'm almost pausitive to He does stats, so

(24:01):
he would be keeping track of things and trends, like
I believe to have had four completed passes and quarters
one through three. He did have six there in the
fourth quarter, but not enough there. As the Dolphins fall
to the Chargers, Chargers will vault into the seven seed.
Now they will go past the Jets. They've got the

(24:21):
tiebreaker by virtue of conference record at this point. And
uh so the Chargers moved to seven and six, Dolphins
fall to eight and five. Earlier, he had the forty
Niners handling the Buccaneers thirty five to seven. Deebo Samuel
left with what Kyle Shanahan said is most likely a
high ankle sprain. They're gonna do some more tests on that.

(24:44):
Panthers got their first road win since the last November
as they beat the Seahawks thirty to twenty four. So
Carolina is now just one game back of Tampa. And
then you've got the Niners and Seahawks playing on Thursday.
If San Francisco were to win that game, they would
clinch the NFC West. Chiefs down in the Broncos thirty
four eight. Eagles the first team in the NFL to

(25:07):
clinch a playoff spot, now twelve and one as they
blew out the Giants for twenty two. You mentioned the
Cowboys rallying they were down by three points with just
a few minutes to go. They ultimately beat the Texans
twenty three, bills handling the Jets twenty to twelve. They
hold the top seed in the a f C by
virtue of the head to head tiebreaker against the Chiefs,
both teams at ten and three. The Lions have now

(25:29):
won five of their last six. They beat the first
place Vikings in the NFC North thirty four to twenty
three about Jared Goff three hundred thirty yards three touchdowns.
In the a f C North, things are still tied
at the top. Bengals didn't have any drama twenty three
to ten over the Browns, and the Ravens without Lamar
Jackson were able to hang on against the Steelers sixteen

(25:51):
to fourteen. The Jaguars went on the road, they throttled
the Titans thirty six twenty two, Trevor Lawrence a career
high three hundred sixty yards through the air. Jaguars win
in Nashville for the first time since twenty thirteen. In
the NBA, Pelicans beat the Suns in overtime on four
Lakers over the Pistons seventeen, Nicks at home on top

(26:15):
of the Kings one twelve and ninety nine, Magic one
eleven and ninety nine winners over the Raptors, sixers over
the Hornets one one thirteen, Hawks get a butter buzzer
beater in overtime to beat the Bulls one twenty two
and the Rockets on top of the Bucks to ninety two.
By the way, you're wondering, Chris about those m v
P odds. They haven't been quite updated after this game,

(26:38):
but after the early games, Jalen Hurts is now your favorite.
According to our friends at bet MGM, he's minus one Mahomes,
who was the favorite entering the weekend, He's now plus
one fifty, Joe Burrow plus six fifty, Josh Allen plus
twelve hundred, and then prior to the game to a
matching Josh Allen at plus twelve hundred as well. Back

(27:00):
to thank you good stuff, Nicky seventeen. The final tonight
for as Chargers as we come to you from the
tire rack dot Com studios. A couple of quick tweets
here real quick before we move on, because there's you know,
there's other games we need to talk about in week fourteen, right, No,
I didn't know that. I just thought we were gonna
talk about the Chargers Dolphins. To be honest with you,

(27:22):
I want people to listen to all three hours tonight.
I don't want just because you're mad like I was
mad on Thursday night. I don't want you blocking everyone
from listening. But do you know what you deserve? That
because we told you the season was over, you had
no right to believe that the Raiders had any hope whatsoever.
You did that to yourself. That's what you cause for yourself.
You had no business listen. Don't get mad at me

(27:44):
because you're Super Bowl champion. Dolphins had your m VP
candidate who completed all of what like what ten passes tonight.
Don't take this out on me, Take this out on
your team. Where's your God now? Arnie where's your two one? Now?
For you? Every year I've been doing the show with
you for a decade, I haven't got a playoff win.

(28:05):
I gotta get one. Would you mean you've made the playoffs? Period? Yeah?
We have. We made the playoffs. Are you sure about that? Yeah?
We made it with Tannehill once. Okay, all right, I'll
have to go back. But I think you also wanted
him gone, so absolutely, yeah, thank goodness for that. You're right,

(28:25):
A good job on that one. But I mean you're
not out of the playoff mix. You're still very much there. Um,
you probably weren't gonna win the division anyway. Uh, the
one time you beat the Bills, you cheated and you
put them in the sun. Try to try to scorch
those poor Buffalo Bills. Now you'll get there. They'll get
their revenge this weekend. But like you said, if Miami

(28:48):
was truly super Bowl team this year, they would have
gone down and scored and taking the lead when they
had the opportunity to, and they didn't. If they're truly
a playoff team and they're a contender, then I say,
you go to Buffalo and you play the Bills tough
and even beat him at home, Arny, the Bills haven't
looked like world beaters the last few weeks. Right now
you're looking at the a f C East where they
struggled against the Jets today. Didn't play all that great

(29:10):
in New England. It probably should have lost to Allons. Well,
of course, welcome the Buffalo. They'll have some freezing rain
to welcome the Dolphins on Friday, and then about three
inches of snow on Saturday, So um, not too bad.
Dolphins should be okay with that. Just three inches of snow,
It shouldn't be too bad that who cares all. All
I've heard for the last four months is anyone, anywhere, anytime,

(29:34):
all comers, we got to That's my quarterback. I mean,
that's all we heard on this show. So why are
you suddenly turtling on him right now? My team? I
told everybody I go, it's gonna be too tough to
win the division because of the schedule that we have.
The Bills have an easier schedule. Let's just worry about
making the playoffs and getting into a wild card. That's

(29:55):
why I was rooting for the Bills today to beat
the Jets. I knew we were gonna end up losing
this and I told you, I told you before we're
gonna lose three games in a row. That's that's what
I was worried about. And that is exactly what's gonna happen.
I think though, whenever other people try to tell you
that there would be a struggle, you would tell them
they're stupid and they don't know because people that told
you that the Raiders were no good but you didn't

(30:16):
believe again, Quit trying to come back on the Vegas
Raiders here tonight. That's a three day old story. We've
got promos that are gonna air endlessly tonight. Telling us
about that game. You need to say show show's win, aren'tie.
Quit bringing up this BS from Thursday night and focus
on your misery, not mine. You did this to yourself.

(30:37):
You you you made us all have to listen to
the greatness of the Dolphins. Now take your medicine, you guys.
And then you're trying to be like, oh, and I'm
telling everyone like you're the damn voice of reason. You're
telling Scott Happy birthday, Scott Shapiro, boss man. You're telling everyone, Oh,
I'm gonna be taking Super Bowl Week off, going to
the super Bowl. I'm going to the super Bowl. Now
you're sitting here just begging to even make the playoffs,

(30:59):
don't even have the cop and to win the division,
which you get so soft as who you're so mean
to me on this show. You know what's so funny?
We reach a quarter of a billion people per month,
and out of the quarter of a billion people we reach,
isn't funny? We we don't have no long grab one
Dolphin fan that that that tweets on in Before the games,

(31:23):
before San Francisco, we had two fifty billion Adolphin fans
tweeting in. Now there's not one. And that's zero less
than one. Zero is is whether not one? I haven't
seen one Dolphin vego Arnie. I'm a dobbin fan. I
feel you. I know it's gonna be tough. Don't or
hanging there? Not one of them. Everyone's a Dolphin hater.

(31:44):
I mean, I I gotta be honest with you. I
really didn't see many Dolphin fans texting in whenever you
said that they were gonna be all that great. I
kind of think that it was conversations that like you
and VJ and no, we're having between each other. I don't.
I don't really know those Dolphin fans that are out
there that you're talking about that constantly tweeted you did.
It's a very strong and and and big group, very

(32:05):
silent group. You don't hear from them much, Ulright, So
can we focus on a couple of other things from
the NFL when we come back get your final just
hate in there for how you're gonna suck now and
suddenly everything's terrible, and then let's move on in week
four teen because there's other stories beyond the seventeen win
for the Chargers. It's a great day week two week league, baby.
I preached that every single Sunday night you're on Fox

(32:27):
Sports Radio, and you saw a pretty good example of
it tonight with what happened with the Chargers winning. You
saw it earlier today with somehow Jacksonville boat racing the Titans.
You saw the Cowboys have to fight and scratch and
claw to beat the one win Texans. I mean, and
when you saw it was a crazy day in the NFL. Yeah, no,
there it is. I I know one thing. I'm definitely

(32:48):
bet the Bills to to beat the Dolphins next week.
I'll wait whatever I have to that's gonna that's gonna
be my pick of the century. Next week is what
it is? All right? When we come back, Week fourteen
is in the books. At side of Monday Night Football.
Get a quick preview on Arizona and New England coming
up later on the program. But when we come back,
let's dive into the early texts and get you some

(33:09):
highlights from the big games of the day. On a
wild Sunday in the NFL right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Just a weird day in the NFL capped off with
the Sunday night win for the Chargers over the Dolphins.
Minnesota beat the Minnesota lost to Detroit, which was crazy.
By the way, What was my official prediction, I said,

(33:31):
I two of plays like this the rest of the year.
What are people going to say? What did I just say, Chris?
What are people gonna say? Don't know? I tuned you out?
You make so many I said, people gonna say that too,
is not the quarterback. And you know you gotta go
in a different direction. You you say that after every
It didn't. It didn't even take the rest of the
year until Skip Bayless said to it seems like a

(33:52):
good guy and he's had an amazing season. I never
bought into him as the long term NFL answer to
a small all, not nearly enough, arm, not durable enough,
YadA YadA ya. Already skip Baylor's goodn't wait to bury
to him because of the game he had already, even
though he was fourteen and three as a starter in
his last seventeen games, Here they come. Don't even wait

(34:14):
till the end of the year. Here they come the
anti do a. People unbelieve you're you're pro ta. That's
your guy the rest of the way. That's my quarterback.
Christ that's my quarterback. Well, I'm actually sitting here right
now actually kind of proud of you because usually like
you would turn on him rather quickly, but you're saying, no, no, no,
I'm here. I'm supporting my guy. But I'm not a

(34:37):
to an on guy. I'm all to all the way.
That's my quarterback. I believe in when you go fourteen
and three, you're doing something right. So, um, look, he
had a horrible game. I know that didn't have a
great game against Francisco either. I will have to bounce
back against Buffalo. I saw the line on that. It's
a little bit scary sick and a half. It opened
up at seven and a half. Immediately a lot of

(34:59):
money came on my me and it dropped the whole point.
So we'll see, we'll see what's going on there? Got you?
Are you a couple of quick tweets? All right? Uh?
Nature Boy writes with each dolphin's loss this season, I'm
noticing more gravel in your voice. On gravel, gravel, gravel, gravel.
I don't know, maybe he could be right on that.

(35:20):
Get very upset. I would like to uh tag in
a show engineer life coach of mine, Bobo. I've noticed
Bobo like a little heavier breathing tonight from Martie. If
you noticed that, like we're any moment from now, the
whole thing could snap and come crumbling down. Are you
noticing this as well in your end? I've noticed before
the show even started. Yeah, see when he was connected

(35:43):
normally like he's kind of quiet just now literally was like, dude,
there's another show going on and wow. Uh Justin and Cincinnati,
who has been all over tonight, writes, at least it
chargers win means I don't have to hear how everyone

(36:04):
else except the Great Herbert are to blame for the loss.
That's becoming the most annoying thing going. I mean, listen,
they for some reason. I don't know why we like
to pile on guys that are really good. I've never
really understood it. I've never understood the Lebron hate. I've
never thoroughly understood any of the hate for Tom Brady.
I mean outside of today, but I really don't get

(36:27):
to hurt for Justin Herbert. Are the hate for Justin
Herbert or even two? Outside of tonight? The hate for two?
I think the fun to watch. That's the next generation
the quarterbacks in the NFL. No, I agree with you.
I never especially Justin Herbert. I can't understand that. Who's
leading the charge on that? I it's one of the
odd shows. I can't remember if it's Emmanuel or Sam.
I think it's Emmanuel. You might be right on that,

(36:48):
but somebody was all over him. I'm like, why, out
of everybody, you need to pick on him. It's not
his fault. What's going on with the charges, especially with
all the injuries and what's going on with them. It's
it's certainly not even goes to his no um and
he's listen, it's the Chargers are in position to make
the playoffs. After Tonight's when they're in that seventh playoff spot,

(37:11):
I don't think they're gonna go to the playoffs. I
just they are very they are very poorly coached. I
don't know what's going on right now. And listen, I know,
well your Raiders fai. Yeah, you know we're We're poorly
coached too, Bro. I'm not sitting here trying to hold
the Raiders on a on a podium over anyone. I
just don't think they're doing the things you should do

(37:31):
with a guy like Justin Herbert. And they got Tennessee
next week, They've got to go to Indy, who's terrible.
Then they get the rams of the dinner and the
differ broncles. They might have the kind of schedule where,
to your point, Arnie, they could finish this bad Boy
eleven and six, right, I mean, that's those are four
very winnable games. But as as typified this season, they
always tend to find a game and lose a game

(37:53):
that just has you scratch in your head that doesn't
make a lot of sense. I mean, go back, go
back to Jacksonville beating them thirty eight to ten, and
I know Jacksonville housed I mean they housed the Titans today,
But it makes no sense the two games against the
Chiefs they've lost by combined six points this season, and
yet they got housed by Jacksonville. So it's not as

(38:14):
if there's some terrible team. I just think they're really
poorly coached. I think um offensive coordinator is not very good.
I think the head coach, Brandon Staley is not very good.
He's gonna make an elevant offensive coordinator in like Green
Bay next year, but for now, I think the Chargers
need to get Sean Payton in there sooner rather than later.
Can I Can I get one other quick tweeting here

(38:35):
before we wrap uh one rights? Remember Arnie, the forty
Niners ruined your team and that is where your season
came to an end with big Brock Purty. By the way,
I will say, pretty Good is a great name, and
I hate that so many college football nerds were caught

(38:57):
up in calling it Brock October that we didn't used
pretty good as much as we should have for when
he was in Iowa State cyclone. But Artie, this is
this is a great story going on in the NFL.
He basically ripped the soul out of the Dolphins last week,
and today he ended Tom Brady's career. Brock Purty for
president baby ms hit irrelevant. Let me tell you what

(39:18):
I learned about him after seven quarters, Chris, And we've
seen this before. We don't see a lot of it,
but we we I think we see it mostly in basketball,
um than any other sport, where a guy is just
a good player in college, UM, but he just turns
out to be so so much of a better pro.
That might be brock Purty. He had a great year.
What was it was his junior year that I was

(39:39):
staying was finally championship, you know, flex its muscles. Um.
He was a good quarterback. But I gotta feel with me,
maybe it's such a better quarterback in the NFL. He
just he just looks phenomenal. I never would have known
that he was a rookie coming in for the first time.
If if, if we didn't know about him, Chris, it's
just amazing. We're gonna have much more on Brock pretty

(40:00):
and the sudden dominant force in the NFC West right now.
The San Francisco forty Niners, who now have a two
game lead over the Seattle Seahawks and played most of
today while they played all of today without their starting
quarterback and most of it without their star wide receiver.
Got an injury update to their four or five, seven
eight injuries. We gotta get you caught up on, including

(40:21):
Deebo Samuel. But you mentioned it. I mean the stats
are incriding. He was efficient, two touchdowns, ran the football
well whenever they were called upon. I mean the Niners
ran for two hundred nine yards today. Suddenly San Francisco
is looking the part of a Super Bowl contender. Injury
updates and we're gonna take you live two so FI
get an update from Steve to Seger. Coming up next

(40:42):
with Arnian Plank on Fox Sports Radio. Yes, Yes, Week fourteen,
nearly a final, we got Monday night football to talk about.
On a day where the eventual NFC North Champs lost
the soon to be seven time a f C West
two champs, where it pushed to the brink, and the

(41:04):
team that, according to Arnie, is going to the Super
Bowl got beat for the second straight week. We've got
we got to figure out what's going on tonight From
the tire rack dot Com Studios, Tire rack dot com
will help you get there and unmatched the selection, fast,
free shipping, free road hazard protection, and over ten thousand
recommended installers. Tire rack dot com the way tire buying

(41:24):
should be. You want to go more in depth on
the game, well, just I just want to read one
another one because another tweet, Because remember I told you
that if to a play like this Um in this
game like he did the rest of the year, and
then people gonna say, hey, not the long term mans
or he's not the long term manser. And then of
course it didn't even think that Skip Bayless had to
go ahead and chime in right away. Now I read

(41:45):
Duck Godly, we said, if you went to the game
and you don't want to go away in President Justin
Herbert a concern that too may not even be the
long term starter. You need an eye exam. And he
goes on and I'm like, Okay, well, I guess that's
all it takes is one horrible game for but just
start turning their back onto AU whether this guy is
the long term answer. I I thought it would take

(42:05):
from UM for him to play lousy the rest of
the year. I didn't know. It was just gonna take
one game for for the fall apart like this, Have
you listened to yourself on this show before with other
teams players? No, I don't listen back to the show. Well,
I just mean in general, have you listened to yourself?
I mean you're ready to bench dudes after one in completion,

(42:26):
You're ready to go to the backup after one bad series.
So they're just following your lead teen and three as
a starter the last seventeen before today, so that that's
a little last night to say one bad game and
he's not even the long term starter. They got to
look at an ever direction. Well, I mean he only
completed fifty of his passes and had to pick last week,
so it's not like it's one bad game. Steve the

(42:48):
Sager joins us Alive from Sophi Stadium. He was inside
the Chargers radio broadcast booth for the big Chargers win tonight.
What say you, Steve? You saw it with the no
two eyes? Does the Herbert hate finally go away? And
should we question two of going forward? I don't know
about the ladder, but I know with the first part
of your question, that is the scuttle dot immediately with

(43:11):
people like who exactly, So we're not going to have
a two person where we're debayed after this. They just
played each other and this was the result. I I've
said it before that yes, two of the young quarterback,
but he's been a really good one and them not
making the playoffs or losing close games are usually not
because of him. At the top of the equation, the

(43:31):
Chargers realistically potentially saved their season tonight, because if they
lose tonight and go to six and seven, I don't
know how realistically that you could talk about them for postseason. Instead,
Jets lost the conference game today, Chargers win a conference
game tonight, and guests who right now holds the last
playoff spot in the a f C. It's the Chargers

(43:53):
at seven and six at the moment, winning the conference
games tiebreaker over the Jets and whoever gets that last
playoffs But in the a f C might be going
to Kansas City first round because remember Buffalo would be
the one seed over Kansas City because of the head
to head. So what the Chargers have coming up this
final months? Tennessee will be here next Sunday afternoon, but

(44:13):
the Chargers last three games are against the Colts. The
Rams and Denver. Right now, the Chargers are sitting at
seven and six. I'm stunned at the defensive performance because
we've talked about it a lot on Sunday nights. This
team can be run on. Last year and this year
it's almost embarrassing. And yet by the end of the
game tonight, with two minutes to go, this was almost

(44:36):
the best defensive performance the Chargers have ever had against Miami.
And they've been playing each other since ninety six. The
record is still two hundred five yards by Miami against
the Chargers. Only what those final few plays did they
get over two h five tonight? That was the I
said this earlier. The Charger defense look like Bears. I don't.

(44:58):
I don't think I've ever seen a deep sense looked
that good in a long lard. They just looked dominating.
It was unbelievable. And they're missing so many guys on
defense that leads me to believe, Wow, this was a
horrible offensive night. But justin Herbert started eleven of twelve passing,
while the Miami offense at one point had twelve plays
and only five yards. In fact, at one point in

(45:20):
the first half, Miami, in fact, this might have been
just after halftime. Seven drives and only five first downs,
So at least the Biami Dolphins got those two big
plays from Tyree Hill. But by the time he had
that fumble return, they targeted him seven times and he'd
only had two receptions at that point of the game.
So if they didn't have the fumble return, who knows

(45:41):
what the score would have been, because at one point
the Dolphins offense on their first fifteen plays only had
fourteen yards. In fact, it was about two hundred fifty
yards to fifty at one point in the game. A
Charger advantage. Unbelievable. One more to Sayer and will let
you get out of here. You mentioned the road and
had looking good for the Chargers. Are are they likely
going to get healthier? I mean, I know, as you

(46:03):
mentioned ding up on the offensive line, but both Derwin
James any chance there's some reinforcements coming for this playoff run.
Both are sounding like a better chance and also getting
the Pro Bowl center back tonight. Corey Linsley, you you
talked about it on last Sunday Night show How to
To how Justin Herbert has been hit left and right

(46:25):
game after game in the past month and although there
were the sacks, it wasn't the constant thing that we
have seen in recent weeks. It did make a difference
having his center back. But the charge your defense, I
mean they allow six yards per play. An average play
against them all seasons is six yards. They allow over

(46:46):
hundred fifty yards rushing, and Miami had about nineties drs
dressing and two at one point was three of seventeen passing,
and so they weren't getting long drives. Most of them
were a minute or two in length. But then the
third quarter came. So yeah, the Chargers had the halftime
lead of seventeen seven. But third quarters have been atrocious
for the Chargers the last two months. The last seven

(47:08):
games in third quarters, no touchdowns and only two field goals.
They survived the third, they kept the lead and they
won a close game. Steve, can you hand the phone
over to two of first second so I can talk
to them? You want to build him up and quick?
What did I give you the night off four? If
you were going to give me two it to talk
to I mean, come on now, talking to all the

(47:31):
affiliates tonight, maybe not after this one. I don't care
about all you for me Arnie Spaniel the number one.
There would be kiss a dance, Nobody would take the
phone if I actually told the truth there but at
least two both hill long plays kept him in the game.
But there were three very long charger drives. The very

(47:52):
first drive they had tonight, no points, but it was
an eight and a half minute drive, and then right
before halftime a ninety r drive where they in fort
and got the touchdown before the break. And then late
in the second half seventeen play charger drive, so they
earned this one. Good stuff, all right, Steve say, travels home. Man.
We appreciate the update. We'll see back here next Sunday,
and welcome for the night off. Uh, good bye, Chris Wow.

(48:20):
That's Steve Seger typically is third Mike with us here
on Fox Sports Radio, but of course tonight, uh taking
care of the gig that Arnie allowed him to go
be a part of. Apparently you want to since when
I when I when I used to go to games,
and it's been a long time, but I you know,
I used to cover games. I would go and talk
to the players, you know, just like you know, hey,

(48:43):
if I was at the games and I say to
a man, hang in there, man, you could do it.
You're my quarterback, you know, talk to him like that
and ask him a few questions. I was good at
stuff like that. That was That was my fourth day.
So you're telling me, just just so I'm clear that
as a member of the media, unaffiliated with the team
or like their radio network, you'd be in there going

(49:05):
you're the man. You got this buddy, go out there,
get it done. Yeah, pretty much. If I didn't like him,
i'd say other stuff too. I don't think you did
any of that. So as we come to you from
the tire rack dot Com studios, let's get caught up
on a couple of injuries here. I think I think
we still have Todd coming up in our next segment,
but I was digging. We had what looked to be
seven to eight serious injuries that went down today. Let's

(49:28):
start with some of the good news. Deebo Samuel was
carted off the field. The way that he was writhing
in pain, it looked as if it might be something
very serious. Pro Football Talk reported tonight that Samuel's injury
is a twisted ankle, which I haven't heard a long time.
It's like, oh, he twist his ankle um, but so

(49:49):
high ankle sprains. Not clear whether he'll be healthy enough
to go on Thursday night. The Niners play the Seahawks
on Thursday night, but high ankle sprain for him. Kenny Picket. Now,
if you wanted to get mad about the the roughing
call and the Chargers came tonight, the fact that that
wasn't a roughing call in that game is pretty wild.
But Kenny Pickett left the Steelers game with an injury.

(50:12):
No update on his situation. Uh, the Baltimore Ravens. Oh
my goodness, man, because I had Lamar Jackson and obviously
he wasn't playing, so I had to pick up another
quarterback for my Fantasy week team, and I picked up
Hunley but he got Did you either hit that duck
him out? Oh my goodness, yeah, absolutely right. Let me
follow up real quick with one thing, just to be
clear on Kinny Pickett. He was cleared from concussion protocol,

(50:35):
but after going back for three plays, he was ruled
out and Mike Tomlin said afterwards that he became symptomatic
and was pulled from the game. So that's a follow up.
I want to say something about that because the announcer said, boy,
he's limping, and I'm like, no, he's not limping. He's
just unsturdy, you know, he's just like walking around, Um,
you know, just not a hundred percent. And that's what

(50:57):
I saw. He's and I was like, well, I think
he heard his leg. No, no, he's he's a little
loopie right now. And I'm glad they got him out
of the game. As you could tell there was something wrong. Yeah, exactly.
Not to follow up on the Huntley injury, we don't
know much about it. Uh. He was evaluated for a concussion.
Anthony Brown replaced him and helped lead the Ravens to

(51:20):
the wind though the passing numbers, let me see, I'm
trying to do a combine eleven of seventeen between the
two quarterbacks for a hundred and four yards not good.
But Mike John Harbaugh did say afterwards that if Ti
Huntley can't go, Anthony Brown would be ready to go
this weekend. That's um, I don't know. If I'm a

(51:41):
Ravens fan, I'm a pump They went out and got
Roe Kuan Smith because he was awesome today, but I'm
also worried going forward. Here's an update from his coach
Robert Sala on exactly what happened with Mike White that
shot was that was something two major hits. Uh. He
actually was sent to the hospital just from a postgame evaluation.

(52:04):
Mike White, We're going to sing to the hospital just
to make sure that he's good. It's more precaution than anything.
He did end up getting cleared and flew back with
his team, So good news on the Mike White. Fard
traveled back with his team, And I don't know that
I thought it was a broken ribbit first. The way
he was like doing it was either that or he
was out of breath. You know, he got the breath
doct out of him as he was doing the short

(52:25):
quick breathing exercises. But he was in a lot of
pain and you could tell something's wrong. A couple of
other injuries here, real quick man. Russell Wilson took another shot,
and I know that it's been fun to clown on
Russ so far this year and seeing how goofy he's been.
But did you see the still shot of the bump
that had developed on his head? Yes, I did see that.

(52:47):
The big what is that like a contusion? It's calling
a hematoma I believe is the proper term for it.
No update on his status after the game, but I mean, hell,
the Broncos ended up making a game at that they
had the football with a chance to go take the lead,
and Brett Rippon through an interception when he was hit
as he was throwing the football. So no update on

(53:08):
Russell Wilson. Bengals linebacker Trey Hendrickson broke his wrist but
could be back in time for the playoffs, while Jeff Wilson,
the Dolphins wide receiver, was hurt during the game tonight.
No update yet from Mike McDaniel on his situation. Jets
wide receiver Corey Davis was injured today, No real update
on his situation. And Arnie, how about the Jimmy G

(53:31):
update we had even before the day started, because there
was there was all those reports Jimmy G could be
ready by the time the quarterfinals come around in the
NFL playoffs, and uh, it might look good. Well, Ian
Rappaport comes out today and says, yeah, I know, it's
a three month injury timetable and he's not gonna be

(53:52):
able to play. So it's brock Purty the rest of
the way. And I don't remember if it was like
Adam Schefter or who it was, and it said, oh,
he might be ready for the playoffs. It's not a
Liz frank entry, but three months. I mean, I'm not
really good at math, but Arnie, that would put him
back when the season's over for the San Francisco forty.
You know whether he what's could happen with the quarterback

(54:14):
situation there? Um? You know you got your paying uh
Jimmy Garoppol a lot less money. But now that you
see what Broc Purdy could do? Um, what does that mean?
Is he gonna be the backup? Do you trade him
and somebody gonna want to give you a uh like
a second or third round pick for Mr? Irrelevant? Does
that happen? Um? It's it's kind of crazy. I was
seeing on Twitter where one of the draft people wrote

(54:36):
that Brock Purdy actually greated ahead of trade lance back
in so, Um, I don't know why this guy dropped
like he did. I know his big year was his
third year as junior year. But he's looking great out there.
What what does he do? Does he forced a trade?
He's gonna want a shot after something like this. That's
for sure, Okay, can I can I hit the brakes

(54:56):
just a second? Yeah? Pumped the brakes, go ahead. It's
one good outing. He's got an incredible team around him.
Everyone's starting to figure him out a little bit now.
So let's see what happens the next few weeks and
then we can start talking about whether or not Brock
pretty can pick and choose because not And I'm not
trying to be a jerk about it or anything, but Arnie,
how many times have we seen, oh my gosh, someone

(55:17):
needs to go get Matt Flynn or someone needs to
go And I'm really going old school here, they need
to go get Scott Mitchell or Cody Carl Sitting and
then they suck when you go get him. So I
kind of think, more than anything else, this is my thought.
I'd be curious to see what Niner fans think tonight
on Twitter. Which is the best way to get in
touch with the show at Stinking Genius One is Arnie,
I'm at Plank Show and everybody should be following us

(55:39):
at Fox Sports Radio. Arnie, I think more than anything else,
this kind of opens in order to go ahead and
let Jimmy gee Wall. I was about to say the
same thing. I agree with you, except for the fact
that they're paying him what like nine million, which is
a far less cry what they were supposed to really
pay him. But you're right, he's he's a bargain, but
he's he's hurt a lot. Um, no reason to keep

(56:01):
him around. You go with the two youngsters, um and
let them battle it out and let the best, the
best quarterback win. How about that? And when we come back,
we're gonna head to Vegas. Talk to Todd Firm, and
your tweets are great. We got postgame audio galore week fourteen,
almost in the books of Monday Night Football preview as
well coming up on Fox Sports Radio. Alright, it's Arnie
and playing. Bobo is back tonight, Bo Benson Run of

(56:23):
the Show with Nick Cope on updates. Where pumped this
always to say, what's up to our guy Todd Firm
and live from Vegas after a busy day for the books, Todd,
my new favorite thing is how quickly y'all come up
with odds for the following week. I mean, there were
Bills Dolphins odds before the Bills. Are the Dolphins game
kicked off tonight? How much can what well outside of

(56:45):
an injury, right, But how much can the result of
a game kind of changes spread like next week's Bill's
Dolphins game. When you talk about adjusting numbers, Chris, I
mean look ahead lines have grown in popularity that you
have a chance to bet the next week's games before
you even see a single snap of the current week.
And you do see some major market shifts, more so
on injuries along the same lines that you mentioned there,

(57:06):
but also based on public perception. So when you're talking
about some numbers that have been on the move, Kenny
Pickett status of course up in the air for the
Pittsburgh Steelers, but they go from a two and a
half point road favorite to now seeing themselves listed as
a two point road underdog. You've seen the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
on the heels of their dreadful performance against the forty Niners,
go from a two point home underdog to a three

(57:27):
and a half point dog. And anytime you move through
the key number of three, it obviously bears watching. And
then the other big game that has major playoff implications
in the respective conferences, the Detroit Lions and the Jets.
The Jets were listed as a three point favorite on
a look ahead number that number down to pick and
that's not as much to do with Mike White as
it is the Detroit Lions that are currently surging. You know,

(57:49):
the game against the Bills, I thought it opened up
at seven and a half on to six and a half.
That means a lot of money had to come in
on on on Miami to get it over that magic
number of seven means a bunch of people about to
come in down that or am I wrong on that?
Todd You know this number hasn't moved a ton You
did see it though at seven and a half are
and you're right talking about that, and the this price

(58:09):
hasn't actually reopened at most books yet, So I'm very
curious to see where oddsmakers hang this price tag. I
would be stunned if it does come back at six
and a half given what we saw from Miami and
tonight's effort or lack of that are hum against the
losn Angeles Chargers to of course struggled again. Tyreek Hill
doesn't look to be a percent and Miami has done
no favors by the National Football League. They play the

(58:30):
late game on Sunday night. They won't get home until
the wee hours of the morning on Monday. They have
a short week to play a division rival, and it
doesn't look like mother nature is going to make it
seventy and sunny in Orchard Park with one to three
inches of snow expected. So I feel like oddsmakers are
gonna open this is a touchdown, more so to avoid
creating value for those folks that want to bet the favorite,
or in some cases that may want to bet the
underdog and have the opportunity plus or minus a half

(58:53):
a point right around that key of seven. Am I
crazy person todd if I'm flexing my muscle saying what
today for the underdogs? No, I don't think whatsoever. I mean,
this is the time of year where oddsmakers love to
force you to pay a premium if you want to
have to back those so called elite teams. Uh, and
you have to try and find ways to, you know,
come up with angles to take some of the ugly

(59:15):
ducklings when you go through the betting board. The Lions
were one of the sharper moves that we saw. They
went from a one and a half point dog last Sunday,
and we talked ended up closing just shy of a
field goal favorite, you know, the Jets find a way
to come barging through the back door. Backup quarterbacks dominate
in Baltimore and Pittsburgh. Philadelphia the one public road favorite
that I think didn't help the books any more than

(59:35):
the Cincinnati Bengals. But elsewhere a lot of the decisions
the house needed ended up going their way. No greater
illustration of that. And then the Denver Broncos erasing a
twenty seven nothing deficit to end up covering against Kansas
City thirty twenty eight. With that game going final, what
was Texans on the money line? Like? What FO one?
Something like that? No, a little bit more substantial than that.

(59:57):
You could have had right around eleven to one on
will end upwards of twelve to one on the Houston
Texans in that spot. So imagine there were a handful
of betters, and I would estimate there were only really
a handful of folks that had the Texans on the
money line that weren't thrilled with the play calling from
Terrisco running the option on the goal to go. Obviously,
the Cowboys ninety yards later end up getting in the

(01:00:17):
end zone, uh and erasing the notion of the Houston
Texans pulling off that outright upset, But clearly, if you
had the seventeen, that's the definition of a rocking chair winner,
something extremely rare in the National Football League. Alright, So
tod what do we make of the Buccaneers going forward? Right?
We saw them get kicked today by the Niners and
party was really good, but the forty Niners running game

(01:00:38):
was ridiculous. There's still in a position to make the
playoffs because the NFC South is so bad. But I
mean next week at Cincinnati then Arizona, I mean, are
they even gonna go three and two in their final
I guess my math is terrible. Are they even going
to go too and two in their final four games?
Right now? I was gonna say plank. If they go

(01:00:59):
three and two in their final four games, we got
a hell of a storyline to try what the NFL
is doing to protect the legacy of Tom Brady and
make sure they get into the playoffs. But with four
games remaining, I mean, they're gonna have their hands full.
They're gonna be underdogs next week at home against the
Cincinnati Bengals, but they will be favorites in their final
three games. You mentioned that road trip out to Arizona.
Will see what Cliff Kingsbury and company having the tank

(01:01:21):
for a game on Christmas Day and then two divisional
games against Carolina and Atlanta. I can tell you though,
the Bucks have to feel extremely fortunate because they have
they had lost the game on Monday Night to the
New Orleans scenes, you'd be talking about Carolina breathing right
down their neck. And I think the Panthers are a
team trending in a much better direction than what we've
seen from Tampa. Now we know it's the NFL, things

(01:01:41):
change on a dime, and I really believe the Bucks
are going to attract a little bit of professional money
next week, knowing that the Bengals are now more than
a field goal favorite on the road. Raymond James Todd,
how is the Bowl UH interest going? How's the money
coming in on the on the ball games? And what
about the playoffs? Too slow and steady on a lot
of the bull games, I think is a lot of
people try and figure out who may or may not

(01:02:03):
be available. So for some of the marquee programs that
are in second to your Bowl games, you've seen a
couple of these numbers move all over the place as
different odds makers have very different opinions. Uh. So you'll
see prices from you know, Kansas Arkansas game go from
five down to three. You'll see a game like North
Carolina and Oregon go from Oregon ten out to fourteen,
as UNC will be without uh their elite wide receiver

(01:02:24):
in Josh downs. And it's kind of minute by minute,
and you have to be constantly paying attention if you're
going to bet these Bowl games, especially some of the
second and third tier opportunities that are there as far
as the big games. Though, when you look at Ohio
State Georgia, you've seen over money come in sixty and
a half, we're now out to sixty two, upwards of
sixty three, and TCU Michigan, this number is kind of

(01:02:44):
hovering in that dead zone, sitting right at seven and
a half. Very curious to see where some of these
next moves will come in. But professionals don't have to
feel a sense of urgency knowing that these are gonna
be the two most heavily bet Bowl games up until
you get to the National Game. Seven and a half. Well,
because I thought I saw some mind that nine and
a half. I'm like, wow, people are pounding Michigan at

(01:03:05):
that right, you know, you did have Michigan at some
books open to nine and a half. There were some
folks that were looking to grab a little bit of
value that would have bought the dog up to ten
and laid minus one twenty figuring out what they can
do with that ticket a little bit later on in
the game. And so much of bull season is just
about grabbing numbers, not necessarily knowing seven eight, seven at
ten days in advance, who may or may not be available,

(01:03:26):
and what the sides will be. The other storyline to
keep tabs on, and the unfortunate circumstances around Mike Leach.
A lot of books have taken the Mississippi State Illinois
game completely off the board for that you know game
at Raymond James on January second, and from what I've
been told, it's not exactly the best situation there for
the Mississippi State head coach. You know, without a doubt

(01:03:47):
it's well and again thoughts with Mike Leach in the
Mississippi State family tonight to see battles, his health condition
and things seem grim, but the pirate hoping he can
pull through. One final thought, I'm glad already brought a
bull season because Todd don't even know how you do it.
Because we're sitting here getting ready for a bowl game
for Oklahoma, just our store on December twenty nine, don't
know when we're leaving. I don't really know who's all playing.

(01:04:09):
But yeah, there's got to be a number on it, right,
So how do you even quantify that and not put
the books at risk because you don't know who might
not play? Or you know, my Gundy couple of years
ago had his starting quarterback suit up and then didn't
even play the game, right, didn't even throw them out there.
So it's it's tough to know who's gonna play and
who isn't. It's all an information game as much as

(01:04:29):
anything else. You know, power numbers are what you lean
on as a lifeblood as a professional. Better throughout the
course of the regular season, you're gonna do You're digging
over the course of the week and look for some
of those intangibles that may not be built into the number.
Bull season is figuring out which teams want to be there,
which teams are going to treat it as a reward
for the regular season, which teams want to use it
as a springboard and unfortunately Chris for Oklahoma. This is

(01:04:50):
a Florida State team that was given a lifeline with
George Travis coming back. Mike Norvell has not been shy
about talking about how important this game is to continue
building momentum and lord of States quest to return a
dominance in the a c C. And it just happens
to be a game a stone's throw away from the
campus in Tallahassee and Orlando, so it's going to feel
like a true de facto road game for the Sooners,
regardless of which players end up making the trip and

(01:05:12):
suiting up for Breadventables. Love it, No, I don't love it.
I hate it. I love talking to you though, Todd.
Have a great week man. We always appreciate your time
and everyone go check out the Better Board podcast. We'll
talk to you next Sunday. Thanks. Always a pleasure to
already make sure those Super Bowl reservations you have in
Glendale are refundable, because what I need. The Dolphins the
last few weeks may not tell me that they're the
team to beat in the a f C. Will see

(01:05:33):
if they bounced back with a vengeance on the road
in the next time the tweet. The tweets are coming
in from everybody. We don't even know if two is
the long term quarterback in this team, coming in out
with the bathwater. But tyreek Hill has definitely made to
a season and Mike McDaniel need to go back in
the lab and try and be a little bit more
balanced after a ten performance three for seventeen in the

(01:05:54):
first half. Love that analogy. See Todd, it's Todd Ferman.
He's not throwing the baby out with the bathroom. He's not.
He's not. We're throwing here, and I don't know if
that's a good tease or not. We're throwing it right
here in the tire rock dot Com studios to eurybody.
Nick Coope, who's in tonight, gets caught up on everything
in week four teen. What's going on? Nick? What's going on? Guys?

(01:06:15):
By the way, you were talking about the Dolphins recent
playoff history, Ryan Tannehill never actually played in a playoff game.
Remember it was Matt Moore Arnie in season after Hill
went down. So January seventeen, that was the last time
the Dolphins were in a playoff game. And yeah, Matt
was the guy. I love that way to correct me,

(01:06:37):
I love it. I love history. I was a history
guy in school, so I'm all about it. I forgot
about anyways. The Chargers there now the seventh seed in
the a f C with that to seventeen win over
your Dolphins. Miami currently the sixth seed. However, if the
Patriots win tomorrow night against the Cardinals, New England would
take over Los Angeles for that seven and final spot

(01:07:01):
in the a f C. Obviously, we got a few
weeks to go. Earlier in the day in the NFL,
you had the Lions making it five of six with
a win over the first place Vikings thirty four twenty three.
Bills handled the Jets twenty to twelve. Had tons of
snow and wind in that one. They're the top seed
in the a f C. Is Buffalo Cowboys trailed the
Texans by six entering the fourth quarter, but they rally

(01:07:24):
for twenty three win avoid the major upset against Houston.
Eagles clinched a playoff spot. They're the first team to
do so. Moved to twelve and want to blow out
of the Giants forty eight to twenty two. Things still
tied to tomp the a f C North Bengals twenty
three to ten over the Browns. Ravens didn't have Lamar Jackson,
but they hang on against the Steelers sixteen to fourteen.

(01:07:46):
Kenny Pickett left the game after being put in concussion
protocol and Amid Strabiski struggled coming in with three interceptions.
Jaguars went on the road and dominated the Titans thirty
six to twenty two. Career high three hundred sixty eight
passing yards and three touchdowns for Trevor Lawrence Jacksonville one
in Nashville for the first time in nine years. In

(01:08:06):
the late window of games, forty, Niners make it six
straight wins as they took care of the Bucks thirty
five to seven. Deebo Samuel with the high ankle spraying.
According to coach Kyle Shanahan, Panthers got their first road
winning over a year, thirty to twenty four over the Seahawks.
Panthers just a game back of Tampa for the NFC South.
He got the Niners and Seahawks coming up on Thursday

(01:08:28):
of San Francisco. Win would clinch the NFC West. Finally,
the Chiefs down the Broncos thirty Patrick Mahomes three touchdown passes,
three interceptions, three hundred fifty two yards through the air.
Kansas City tied with Buffalo for the best record in
the NFC, but the Bills got the tiebreaker. Russell Wilson
left the game with concussion. He did not return quickly

(01:08:50):
to basketball. Lakers over the Pistons one seventeen, Sixers cruising
past the Hornets one thirty one to one thirteen. Magic
on top of the Rafters one eleven and ninety nine.
Nick's over the Kings one twelve to ninety nine, Hawks
with a buzzer beater in overtime to get past the
Bulls in Chicago two and the Rock gets on top
of the bus to Chris Arnie. Back to you guys,

(01:09:14):
Thanks nip H Nick Nick great up, they dude, dot

(01:09:57):
at David Wilson Sacks don't know if he's a f
and if Steve Sacks or if he plays the Sacks? Right?
Can we stop talking about these New York loser teams
like the Giants and non Jets, Jerry's cow Girls, the
slumping Fish, the who cares West Coast and finally talk
about how the I don't get no respect Philadelphia Eagles

(01:10:18):
are the best team in the NFL and going wow,
not that's so. No Jets, no Giants, no Dallas Cowboys,
no Dolphins, no West Coast On, no Rams, no San Francisco,
no Arizona, Seattle, just the Eagles. Okay, Okay, I'm gonna
write that down. I'll get you, I'll get back to
you on that day, but I'll let you know it's

(01:10:39):
gonna be tough. It's gonna be They did look great
in Philadelphia, didn't look good today. I mean, Hurts was
just dropping him in like crazy. I mean, I didn't
think he was gonna win the m v P of
the league. But as we're getting closer, he just made
well he's just looking good, you know. So I'm a
big I'm gone, you made a big mistake on that,
didn't you. Well, I mean, we'll see, we will see.

(01:11:00):
You went from I don't even like him. He's gonna
be the m v P. How big of a big
of a mistake would you have made? My goodness, Lamar
Jackson just won the m v P rty would you
give him a big contract? No, I'm not giving him, So,
Nick Sirianni, I will say, I kind of like this guy.
But there is a part of me that when I
listen to him talk, I wonder, all right, is this
act gonna wear off in a little bit or not?

(01:11:21):
Isn't this when we talk about dog mentality, it is
literally learned from your mistakes, but move on from your mistakes,
and that and that mistake happened a long time ago
and with a different team, with a different, different group
of guys, and we're onto this year and we'll we'll
learn from the mistakes we made We'll learn from the
things that we did well in this game and and
to try to take that onto our next game. Dog
mentality when a coach says that they're awesome, they're they're

(01:11:43):
so fun to watch. Right now, you've got, You've got.
Jalen Hurd's getting all deep in his postgame conversations talking
about how he carries his scars with him. I carry
my scars on me everywhere I go. I don't forget.
Do I waste my energy learning about the pain of
someone else, pain of a seat. No, everybody in the opinion,
the deposit at the bank. Literally, I just try to

(01:12:04):
stay true to myself, stay true to my teammateson just
just chase that growth alongside with him. I'm not gonna lie.
I haven't heard a lot of people hating it more
than anything, A lot of people like myself, right, I said, damn,
we were wrong. I didn't know how you would pan
out in the NFL. Um got a long career, hopefully
ahead of him. But I always thought the Eagles would
be in a position to where, you know, with the

(01:12:25):
draft pick they have in this year's draft, they might
be getting a quarterback. Right. But but that's that doesn't
look like it's gonna be the case now, doesn't. No,
I don't know why you were so antie him. Yeah,
I don't know why a guy that had one good
year throwing the football that I would be thinking that
he could do this on the next level. I mean,
I one guy that I watched a quarter a coach

(01:12:46):
who runs and not an air raid offense. Listen, Lincoln
Riley's offense is based in the run, but watching a
guy has to completely change his offense because of the
inaccuracy the quarterback there. Yeah, I don't know why. Whatever,
wait a minute till Chris. How many people say, oh, right,
New Moms is gonna be great. And it wasn't like
he had the best college's career. He was up five hundred,
so um, you know, it wasn't like a lot of
people knew that, or at least they thought that he

(01:13:09):
was gonna be great. Not a lot of people knew
what he was coming out. So the same thing with Hurts.
I mean, yeah, he wasn't the best in college, but
my goodness, man, you know there was something there. You
there was a spark you can see when he came in.
You know, again, I'm gonna ask you now that you're
trying trying to point at me and say, oh, you
you were the only one lot people felt that way about. No, no, no, no,

(01:13:30):
I'm not saying he was drapped in the second round
when he was dropping in the second round of fact, like,
what are you doing, Doug Peterson, You're gonna scare Carson
Wentz to death? And who knew that three years later
Wentz would be on the verge of being out of
the league and Jalen Hurts as an MVP candidate. So no, no, listen,
I was wrong on my homes dude. I watched Mahomes
in college could beat like sixty to ten against Iowa State.

(01:13:53):
I thought there was no way that this dude would
have it in in the NFL. Look what he's done.
I thought Josh Allen was something project out of Wyoming
that was gonna end up being the next I don't know, um,
the next Ryan Leaf, right, somebody that's a big, strong
but he can't really do it. And look what he's become.
Some media, the media turned me against Josh Allen. They're like,

(01:14:13):
he was only in Wyoming. You know, if you can
only do that, what are you gonna do? With the
in the NFL for crying out loud. He just he
just doesn't have it. It's two small of the school
and blah blah blah. There was so much negativity about him.
I mean it was it was just sick. All right.
When we come back, we'll hit some more of your tweets,
and due to the constraints of the broadcast clock, we
must take a time out. It's already in play. Typically

(01:14:36):
the saga would go in depth on some numbers tonight, Alnie,
I have some numbers from week fourteen for you nice
right here on Fox Sports Radio. Is that true, bobbo Arenie?
Are you with boys him in on this version of
Let It Snow? That's me. Yeah. You can hear me
in the background, can't you? You? And one? I love it.
It's already in play on a Fox Football Sunday boys in.

(01:14:59):
Oh let's see can you do it? I'm gonna do
it in the fourth hour tonight. That's coming up later
on Oh Man, that's in the podcast, so keep it
keep it ting right here. You know what. It's kind
of funny because Oklahoma had a football player named Janya Morris,
right tackle who's turning pro. His mom had actually named

(01:15:19):
him after one of the singers of boys to him
in Janya, Sean and Nathan For future references, aren'tie whenever
Bobbo tries to put you on the spot on that one,
you can ask me thirty seconds from now. I won't remember. Well,
you know you will remember is you are a defender
of one to a You're very alone right now on
the Twitter machine. But we'll get to that coming up
here in just a bit. As well as week fourteen,

(01:15:42):
we know this. How about the saga when he jumped
on earlier? Are he just hitting those show benchmarks with
throwing out that the Chargers were definitely a team that
saved their season today? It fits. I tried to tell
you that, Um that's why they played so great. They're
back was against the wall. They knew that if they

(01:16:02):
lost the game, the season would have been over. They
had They're playing at home. They had to win. There
was there was no choice about it, There was no alternative.
I didn't know the defense would play this great, but um,
I knew it was gonna be a tough game. So
I promised live from the tire rack dot Com studios
tonight with the Sega out he always brings us some
numbers and some stats. Here in this segment, we kind

(01:16:23):
of collab them from a lot of different places, from
NFL Stats and research, Fox Sports dot com and ESPN
stats in Info at ESPN status info on Twitter. So
I got a few for you. You ready, Yeah, let's go.
Jalen Hurts today with his rushing touchdown I think it
was in the third quarter, becomes the first quarterback at

(01:16:44):
NFL history ARNI with tin rushing touchdowns in back to
back seasons. For it does not seem wild to you.
It does because look at all the running quarterbacks we
used to have, like Fran Targeted, Bob Madeline and you
know those we're talking old school quarterbacks that used to
run around like crazy. You think that they would have
been able to accomplish it, especially Targeting did when he

(01:17:05):
played for Minnesota and the Giants and teams like that.
So I'm I'm shocked, me too. I'm surprised about that
blown away. The Minnesota Vikings, we haven't talked much about
them because it was the Boss's birthday this week. We
don't want to bring him down with their performance today.
So um, we'll mention this quickly move on the Vikings
allowed over four hundred yards today to the lines four

(01:17:27):
sixty four to be exact. It's the fifth straight game, Arnie,
the Vikings defense has allowed at least four hundred yards
a game, which is the longest to streak in franchise history.
Speaking of streaks, six straight games with the TV for
Tyler Lockett, the Pride of the currently has set the

(01:17:49):
record for the longest to streak in Seahawks history, surpassing
let'sten to these names, six straight games, most in Seahawks history,
surpassing Doug Baldwin from Joey Gallaway in nine and Hall
of Famer and University of Tulsa grad anyone, anyone, Steve
Largent in Wow, I didn't know that that time ago?

(01:18:14):
All right, Um, Patrick Mahomes is tin and o against
the Broncos. He is the fourth quarterback in the Super
Bowl era to record ten or more wins against a
single opponent without a loss. Do you want to take
a guess on any of the other three. I'll give
you the quarterbacks, and maybe how about this quarterback that's
not again because I think I know one of them.

(01:18:35):
Give that Patrick Mahomes Tinano against the Broncos. He is
the fourth quarterback in the Super Bowl era to record
ten or more wins against a single opponent without a loss.
Is one of the Madouphins, quarterback against the Buffalo Bills.
It is not well then, on damn, I thought I
had a good guest that all right? Who is it? Then?

(01:18:55):
Um Andrew luck eleven and O against the Titans Tom
Brady is Tom Brady's tenan oh against the Falcons? Who knew?
And John Elway was tenant against the Patriots. Get out
of here. I was blown away by that too, So
um Mahomes also today this makes me so mad. It's

(01:19:18):
like Roger the engineers being proven more right every single
day that we have to do this show. Uh. Patrick
mahomes career game with three hundred passing yards and three
touchdowns ties him with your boy Dan Marino for the
most such games by a player before the age of thirty.
Homes is only seven years old. Brock Purty today in

(01:19:41):
the forty nine went over the Buccaneers, became the first
quarterback to beat Tom Brady in his first career start. Now,
there needs to be a little bit of the kind
of depth to this. It's the first time that anyone
has done it since he was with Belichick, So all
checks always hell on first time starting quarterbacks in first

(01:20:03):
year quarterbacks. So Tom Brady loses to brock Purty. It's
the first time he's played at quarterback, making his first
career start with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And let's see
there was one more. Oh yeah, do you want to
do this now or you wanna wait till next hour
because we could do it next hour. We're running out
of time. Let's do it next. I understand the clock.
I'm good at the shot clock party. Wow to uh

(01:20:23):
thirty five point seven completion percentage on Sunday, the worst
in a game in his career. Ouch, it's Arnie and
Plank final hour. Are you happy for this show to
be over, Arnie? Or will you miss it tremendously? But
didn't you do an early show today too? Yeah? I
filled in this morning. I I got up early this

(01:20:44):
morning and did a couple of hours with with Andy
Firman to talk about how the Dolphins we're gonna dominate
today over over the Chargers. You know, Andy's nice to me,
He respects my opinion, doesn't trample all over me. Do
you trample all over him like you do me? Or
or how do you handle that in the mornings? No,
I I trample over him. Also, I don't don't play

(01:21:05):
any favorites. Did you do two or four this morning?
Are you on a seven hour day? I? Uh no, no,
I it's in my contract that I only do two hours.
So hey, by the way, how was Army Navy? You
weren't the game, weren't you? No? No, no, no, no, no,
my son was I thought you were? No, Alarty. My
game was much more important than Army Navy. I mean

(01:21:28):
I was at a two a high school state championship
game where the Mighty Washington Warriors took the state championship. No, no, no,
my son, who I couldn't get think about this right? Um,
as we welcome you wanted the tire rack dot Com Studios,
tire rack dot Com. We'll up you get there and
unmatched a selection, fast, free shipping, free road hazard protection,

(01:21:50):
and over ten thousand recommended installers. Tire rack dot Com
the way tire buying should be. So my son is
whole life right. I've been the sideline reporter at the
University of Oklahoma. I've worked in radio since he was born.
Never wanted to go to a game Army couldn't care
about football just you know, he wasn't on sports guy.
Now he gets to Army and he's all about the games.

(01:22:11):
Like going to Army Navy today. What could have gone?
Oh you Texas with me for like ten years and
you saw the pictures. I saw the pictures of games
having a blast like it? Have you know you have
not been to the game you've ever been? You have
to go. You have to go. Since he goes to
school out there, you have to you have to go
check it out. That's got to be on your bucket list.
You know. That's a great game too, wasn't it. I

(01:22:33):
mean it he went over for the first time in
seventeen years. Your heart broke for the Navy full back
that far the was it the fullback of the quarterback
and full on the ball and in overtime? But a
hell of a game. And you're right, it went over.
It took over time for it to finally get over. Um,
but it went over. So yeah, thanks for asking man,
Little will of a little he's no longer a little
Willie had a good time and he's almost done with

(01:22:54):
his first semester. So hopefully he can start enjoy life
a little bit because his term embraced suck is something
that's cracked me up NonStop. You want to hit some
of these tweets, Let's get y'all are cold man? Mr
Boxton Right, Russell Wiltness. Russell Wilson's finesse a scheme set
a new standard of how to get paid in return

(01:23:16):
for very underwhelming mediocrity. Not even the great JaMarcus Russell
pulled off this level of finessing. Wow, come on, don't
comparing them to Russell that that's getting a little ridiculous. Though.
You can see that the money that he's going to
be getting is going to be pretty much worthless. He's
not going to be leading dever to anything. To be honest. Wow,

(01:23:36):
I mean, he's still woozy from the concussion and you're
not even giving him that. I will say this, and
I agree with what Nathaniel Hackett said after the game. Uh,
there is no question about his his toughness. Here was
the health of update first and foremost on Russell Wilson
for game. I give I give him so much credit.
I mean, you see a day in and day out,

(01:23:57):
no matter what the situation, is obviously ended up getting
the concussion. I think our medical team did a great
job getting him in here, and he's in the concussion
protocol now, so we'll go through that step by step
process and do it the right way. And yeah, you
saw a big nod on his head. Here was his
replacement backup quarterback, Brett Rippon talking about his warrior mentality.
You know. Ultimately, uh, I thought he was getting the

(01:24:19):
ball out on time, and you know he was stepping
up and making plays and putting his body on the line. Man,
I mean that to me is somebody I want to fall.
There you go. So at least the Broncos seemed to
still like him. Jerry did not lose his mind. Yes,
what was that? And by the way, I'd rather have
brock Party than than You'd rather have a guy that

(01:24:42):
couldn't win ten games in a season. And I was
stayed overall a Super Bowl champ. I get it though,
Um yeah I did. Judy got mad. There wasn't a
holding call when he was coming off the field, or
maybe p I that he wanted he bumped into the line. Judge,
I don't know how he wasn't booted from the game
on that there's there's gotta be a fine, like a
fifty thousand or whatever maximum is. He's gonna go ahead

(01:25:05):
and get that, that's for sure. Seahawks fan is chimed
in more than just image. J J is fired up.
He writes, the Seahawks defense can't stop a damn nosebleed
right now, and Gino better not be re signed. That
run defense is garbage. Get rid of the defensive coordinator
is and Quinn available? Oh no, he's on Dallas now.

(01:25:26):
That was my prediction. Remember what my Hot sports opinion,
what like weeks ago, I said the Seattle Seahawks not
going to go ahead and win the division. Now they're are,
excuse me, not going to make the playoffs through out
of the playoffs right now. Giants at the number seven seed.
By the way, what happens if the Jets and the
Giants don't make the playoffs? They'll lose their marbles in

(01:25:47):
New York. They thought they were We're gonna go with
the Jets Giants in the super Bowl. Now possibly both
won't even make the playoffs. Is there a chance Thatack
Wilson's back next week? You mean instead of well, Flacco
didn't look good. Instead of Mike White, though I guess
there's a chance at least you should make him the backup.
That's what I would do. Give me a chance to
get back in there and see what happens, because I

(01:26:08):
don't think they're going anywhere either. By the way, speaking
of that, uh calibert at that damn bear response to
the hey talk about the Eagles only text from last hour? Wow, rights, CALIBERT.
Forget the whole teams and let's focus on the Eagles,
all right. Congratulation, Congratulations Eagles regular season champs. Too bad

(01:26:30):
we don't see you in Arizona for the super Bowl
because the best record won't always guarantee you're the last
team standing for the playoffs, though I think Philly has
got a chance this year. Guys, the number one seed
and really only the other team that really would scare
me coming out of the NFC would probably be San Francisco. Um.

(01:26:51):
I mean what I was gonna say, Dallas untild what
I saw what they did today. But that's possibly the
third team. But that's it. I don't know if Minnesota
scares me as much as San Francisco does. Yeah, and
by the way, Jason B. Diamond, I want to thank
you for noticing how we made sure to get that
to a number in before the break, so that way
we have to got it in quick. So that way
we got the top of the hour to get over

(01:27:11):
and we can move on and and one more real
quick before we uh, we get to what we learned
after Week four teen. Pete rights keep the sound of
Arnie saying to is his quarterback and play it back
when the NFL Draft comes around and he's pushing for
Caleb Williams, Well, I can have Caleb Williams. By the way,

(01:27:33):
I'm not here to correct anyone, but that would be draft.
I was gonna say, that's a little bit late. If
you're asking me, well, I would I would add, I
mean the way you talk about to uh, he's your guy,
he's your quarterback, right so the quarterback, I mean, he's
still young, dudes, not even what five yet, So I
would say that if you're sold on him, you you

(01:27:54):
wouldn't be begging for another first round quarterback in the
next two or three. But I already saw on Twitter
where somebody's is two is just an average quarterback, but
it was a Tyreek Hill is why he's putting up
those numbers so I was waiting for those to come in. Also,
I knew there'd be a bunch of those two do
you like realize again? And I know I've said this
a lot tonight, that's pretty much you whenever it's come

(01:28:15):
to Tua and every single thing he's done in his
career into this until this year, until this year. But
at least I'm not jumping off the bandwagon now. I
know it was a horrible game, but man, my goodness,
you can't have a big game always in San Francisco
has a phenomenal defense. I'm not gonna hold that against them. Well,
the good news is they're playing the Los Angeles Chargers,
So I mean, you want to get mad at about

(01:28:36):
last week with the Niners, that's fine, But the Chargers
stuck defensively without Joey Bosa, and that was a crazy line.
I couldn't understand how everybody was picking the Dolphins when
it was only a three and a half point spread
and the Charges were playing at home and they had
their back against the wall and pretty much you had
to win the game to save their season. I I'm
surprised that one person decided to go with the Chargers.

(01:28:57):
Well you did right, you want to get your own team, right, No,
you didn't do that, so why are you surprised if Well,
I'm not on that TV show. If I was on
the TV show, I probably would have gone with the
Chargers though. All right, So then, Aartie, you kick us
off two segments special tonight because so much to unpack.
We'll get back to your tweets coming up in just
a bit from the entire rack dot com studios. Arnie,

(01:29:18):
after a week fourteen of the NFL season, I know this,
Oh boy, after Week fourteen of the NFL season, I
know this. I am a hundred percent worried about my
Miami Dolphins making the playoffs. And I'm not getting around.
They're gonna lose to the Buffalo Bills. That's gonna put
them at eight and six, and they'll be right there
probably with the Jets and New England and the Chargers.

(01:29:40):
They don't have the tiebreaker against the Chargers. Uh, the
Jets beat him the first time, so we gotta beat
him the second time. And I don't know who gets
it after the split. I don't know if we could
beat the Patriots. My goodness, I am worried like hell
that the whole season may go up in smokes because
of the last two games, because of what happened today.
To be honest with you, I just can't believe that

(01:30:01):
you've got that. It's like a page you know what, Actually,
I can't believe it was all It was built on sand.
It's a paper castle. Where is all this confidence about
the Super Bowl team? And nan? The days off for
the Super Bowl areny? Where that go? They were eight
and three until they lost their last two games. I thought,
at least let's get a split. I mean, give me
one game, give me something. But I go, oh boy,

(01:30:22):
these next three A're gonna just bet they're gonna be tough.
It's gonna be a sure sign of what's gonna happen.
And sure enough there's two and the third one is
not looking real good. On short rest Saturday night in
Buffalo with the snow, I mean, you're just stuck in
the stuck against us. That sucks all right? After we
you love it, by the way, you you enjoyed this,

(01:30:44):
You're glad? It's yes, you are? You mean? You mean
having someone tell you that you're a stupid moron and
an idiot for questioning while they're putting the Dolphins in
the Super Bowl and then when they lose, wanting to
feel a little vindicated. Yes, I don't know why I
would feel that way. Already after Week four, I know this.
The NFL makes zero sense, never has, never will explain
this one to me. How did the Jacksonville Jaguars lose

(01:31:07):
forty to fourteen to the Detroit Lions last week when
Trevor Lawrence throws for just a hundred and seventy nine yards,
is sacked a couple of times and completes just of
his passes. And then the following week on the road
against what the three seed maybe the two seed in
the playoffs at Tennessee Titans, they smoke him two. He

(01:31:31):
throws for three hundred sixty eight yards, completing of his
passes and throws three touchdown passes. Help that make any
sense onceoever to me? In this National Football League? You
know we can do the same thing with the Lions, right,
I was gonna up next, Yeah, I was going to
bring that next. So I just this week T week league,
I know that we're in need jerk show. Right, we

(01:31:53):
come on here after the games every single Sunday night.
We've been blessed enough to do together for a long time,
and it's every single time we're done. They'll be moments
where I'm like, wow, we just I spent tonight being
so sold on X team, and that next week X
team can lose by fifteen to the worst team in
the league. It's just the NFL makes no sense. How
are the Cowboys even in a close game with the

(01:32:15):
Texans today? How does that even happen? Especially the sixteen
and a half point favorite. That's as you heard Todd,
they were If you bet the Texas to win the
game out right, that was eleven the one. That's a
pretty good return. Yeah, absolutely, all right. Where you want
to go nextual you want to grab a break? Well
though than just real quick on the Detroit Lions, because
after fourteen weeks, I know this, They're not playing around.

(01:32:35):
They have turned the corner. This team is for real.
And the case you didn't know this, Chris, they're going
to win their last four games. They're going to go
three games excuse me, no, four games right there, six
and seven, they'd be ten and seven. I think that
make the playoffs. Yeah, they're gonna go ten and seven.
I don't know if that is good enough to make
the playoffs, but I would think it is. I think

(01:32:57):
the Lions are gonna make the playoffs after winning their
last were games in a row. Well, I mean, look,
the seventh seed right now in the NFC is the
Giants at seven five and one, and the sixth seed
is the Commanders. It's seven five and yeah. Yeah, that
this is what I said. I mean, you look at
the Lions there, six and seven right now, they're right

(01:33:18):
there in the middle of that. So yeah, they end
up winning their last four games. I agree with you.
I think they're going to the playoffs. Now. This is
also that same team that every now and then lays
an egg, like getting shut out by New England. But
we're going back almost a month now. They won five
of six games. The only loss was a really tight
game on Thanksgiving to Buffalo that took a game winning
field goal. You mentioned the schedule, though, Three of their

(01:33:40):
final four games are on the road, so I don't know,
is that change at all? Knowing they've got a road
trip to Green Bay, Carolina and New York upcoming, no
matter of fact, they should be favorite and what two
of those games won't they I'm I'm thinking or what
you're Mr Vegas. I would think so be favorite against
the Bears, probably be favorite against Carolina. I don't think
they'll be favorite against Green Bay or New York. Well

(01:34:02):
you know what, Actually, you might be favorite against the
Jets because we don't know what their quarterback situation is
right now. Hell, what am I talking about? I got
the lines right here in front of me. I could
probably look at it and see what the opening week
fIF team. Yeah, oh no, it's a pick him right now.
It's a pick him according to bet Online underscore ag.
So yeah, I got more of what we learned after

(01:34:22):
week fourteen. More of your tweets were hitting the locker
room coming up at the bottom of the hour, and
we'll continue to monitor the health and the health updates
of Mike Leach tonight again the latest news the Mississippi
State coach, former Texas Tech head coach fighting for his
live prayers being asked for, and we'll keep you up
todate on Mike Leach Mike Leeches situation as well right

(01:34:44):
here on Fox Sports Radio. Great hearing Bobo's voice back
on a Sunday night into a Monday morning here on
Fox Sports Radio with Bo Benson. They're running this show.
It's Arnie and Plank on a Fox Football Sunday, come
to you live from the entire Rack dot M studios
where we're hanging out on the Fox Sports Radio tailgate
presented by the Big Green Egg. Nothing beats the flavor

(01:35:07):
of live fire cooking on a Big Green Egg. It's
the most versatile grill you'll ever own, backed by lifetime
warranty roll with the best shop online for free delivery,
Big green egg dot com, Lifetime warranty, free free home delivery,
Big green egg dot com. This is actually really really
good question on Twitter dot com because I was trying
to think of this too. Um oh wow, we got

(01:35:31):
so many during the break that I completely lost here
it is. This is from Ed. Ed from Spokaney writes,
can you tell the stinking genius that he should have
said the Dolphins would have lost? I don't remember him
saying that at a seven game parlay, and the Dolphins
Chargers was the last one I needed to win. Wow,

(01:35:51):
it's my fault now that he lost the seven team parways.
I warned you about this, You and your guarantees people
are putting real money on this. You probably I would
imagine if I went back and listen this morning, you
guarantee probably bet your chib. I knew it was a
bad one. I mean until late three and a half
on the road. Um, that's a tough one to go away.

(01:36:11):
You wouldn't you wouldn't want to go ahead and do that.
I certainly wouldn't put it in my parlay, no way,
But I'll give you one that I like it coming
up in my big pot. I got a guarantee for you.
Why why would you do this? You're just basically laying
out how you, um, you missed a pick and don't
put it in your parlay, and now you're telling him

(01:36:32):
and guaranteeing one to put in there. Oh, I gotta
remember how I got the Pick of the decade right
with Minnesota. You did get that, right, I got my
pick of the century? Okay? Uh, Peter, why do you
say okay like with disgusting your voice? Well, I mean
not everyone listens to every single minute, second an hour
of this show like I mean, we obviously do we

(01:36:52):
put it on. They don't understand the pain I've had
to go through it with your incessant just I can't
think of any other way to put it. But all
watching of the Dolphins and out of tah Now all
of a sudden, it's like I knew they're gonna lose
a couple of games, and it's all over. It's like, literally, Arnie,
it's been six months and nothing, but the Dolphins are
going to the super Bowl, and now all of a sudden,

(01:37:13):
it's like, oh, yeah, they're terrible, we're not even and
after what happened the last two weeks, and yeah, but
the scars, I'm like Jalen hurts Man, I carry those
scars with me everywhere, Arenie, Right, I mean, did you
hear what Jaylen said about carrying the scars with him?
He right after week fourteen, I know this. The New
York Jets will miss the playoffs. Everyone believed that the

(01:37:33):
Jets had arrived, but now you realize that you need
a QB to win and you can't run the ball
to victories anymore. In the NFL. The Jets are out
and they still need a quarterback. Because we know that
Zach Wilson's not the answer. Let's think that Whites the answer.
Maybe you should get a chance, but um, you're gonna
have to be in the market for another quarterback Julian

(01:37:54):
hits his up on Twit and Rights regarding the Dolphins.
To be honest, ever since to it came back from
his injury, he's not looked the same whatsoever. I feel
it's really true. Do you feel that's true, Artie? Since
the injury hasn't looked the same a little bit at times.
I mean, if you're gonna go by the last two games,
and yeah, I have to agree with you on that.
By the end of the show, we're gonna have you
talked talked into playing Skyler Thompson next week. Everyone I

(01:38:18):
wanted him, you can put him in. Let's go. Let's
haven't been there. Um. Calbert writes at that damn bear
who's been on fire tonight, Arntie. The Dolphins will be fine.
They'll bounce back, just like you after getting destroyed years
ago by the Mallard militia, and you didn't quit Fox
Sports Radio. Militia did not crush me. I just I

(01:38:39):
hate those hours and I hate the Matlar militia, so
I don't. I don't work those hours. That's why those
hours do suck. I'm not gonna lie for for those
of you that work it and live it. Bravo man
grind away, love it. Glad you have someone who's passionate
about ben doing that show. But man, when I do
the filling on that only, it takes me like a
week to recover my two am and six am. For me,

(01:39:02):
what do you insane that I gotta I gotta go
to bed at seven am. I won't wake up to
like three in the afternoon. I don't. I don't know
if I'm eating breakfast, lunch, dinner days. Man, it's all
by the way, what's that in mind? How do you
handle whenever you're up doing what is that six to
eight on the East coast and then tonight you're you're
on the air until two am. I mean, do you

(01:39:23):
even wake up tomorrow before noon? Uh? No, Tomorrow I'll
get up and get some breakfast and then probably go
back to bed. Yeah, I'll probably get up about like
twelve or something like that. I got I got nothing playing, okay,
it's good before we get the bottom of the hour
and and get caught up on all the latest news
from Nick Cope. A couple more quick tweets Immitt the

(01:39:43):
blind Seahawks fan rights after week fourteen, I've learned the
Lions are going to make a huge fight for the playoffs.
It's crazy. Last month people were calling for Dan Campbell's job.
Now the Lions are picking up crucial winds and the
offense is clicking. That's true. I think they'll win out
the rest of the time if they went out the
rest of their games, that's what what did you say?
Eleven wins? They got to make the playoffs even wins,

(01:40:06):
don't they? I would think they would? But better they better? Right? Um?
Pete rights Artie has contractually obligated to hate on toa
when TA play is bad, which is more often than not. Also,
notice how Arnie's Giants have fallen off as well. Must
be a coincidence the Giants once it's been it's been
a bad couple of weeks for them. They're they're not

(01:40:26):
even Yeah, they're the last spot in the playoffs right now? Right?
Is that what it is? That's what it is. That's
what it is right now? Um Jeff writes Jeff Wilkerson
and Tulsa Baby, don't you think it's more about the
lack of talent that brock Purdy had at Iowa stayed
as opposed to his actual skill. It's amazing how many
people have never heard of him? Well, I think what

(01:40:49):
this magnifies is how little some people pay attention to
college football, especially like Iowa State. But he's good and yeah,
you know I I find it hard to believe that
people have not heard of him, you know, when he
when he came in against the Dolvins. We like, I
heard talk shows going, don't pretend you know Brock Purty is.
I'm like, really I But maybe it's because I worked
with you, Chris, and we talked so much about the

(01:41:10):
you know, the Big Twelve and that conference. Um my goodness, though,
how could you not have heard of the guy? At
least at least you knew what he was about. I
didn't know he was. I remember he was Mr. Irrelevant though,
I'll tell you that. If you want to say you
didn't think Brock Purty would be an NFL, yeah, hey,

(01:41:31):
I absolutely did. But if you want to act like
I didn't know that, he was a four year starter
at Iowa State and played in his freshman season and
um gosh, I think he was two and two against Oklahoma.
I think he beat Oklahoma twice as the starting quarterback,
which I mean again, this was this is when Oklahoma
was like going to the playoffs. He's and they had

(01:41:51):
good teams. I mean, David Montgomery was his running back
whenever he was at Iowa State. You know he had
he's Well, we'll see if a couple of his receivers
catch all. But he's at NFL receivers. So I would
disagree that it wasn't about the talent he had around
him in names at Iowa State. But I will say
a lot of people missed out on what he could
be as a quarterback. But let's remember very quarterback friendly scheme,

(01:42:13):
really good running game in San Francisco, and an elite defense.
So I don't think Brock pretty could be thrown into
the fire at stake Houston and suddenly Houston would be
a five hundred. Does Lance look like this when he's
a quarterback? Does Jimmy Garoppolo even looked as good when
he's quarterback? I would say no, I I think I disagree.

(01:42:34):
I absolutely disagree on Jimmy g And you watch next week.
They might have a game where he throws the ball
ten times, right, I mean they just first of all,
Tampa Artie. I watched a lot of that game today
and I don't know how to put this. Buccaneer fans,
that team looked like it quit. That team looked like
it quit defensively in that game the first time in

(01:42:54):
my first time in my life. Actually said that this
is the first time in my life and that Tom
Brady really should not have come back. I really felt that.
I know we joke around, but my goodness, he that
that team just looked awful. Okay, let's listen. I know
that you forget things we talked about, but you set
it like five games into his first season with the
Buccaneers and they went on to win the Super Bowl,
and then he became your favorite quarterback. So you've been

(01:43:17):
like this before. But I think part of it is,
you know, he had his team that stood up around
him right, and his defense would play well. That team
quit today. Oh and uh CEO four show right or
the Dolphins tweets is still at zero for the show tonight.
We've been shut out on Dolphins tweets from the show

(01:43:37):
tonight outside of any talking about him. All right, so
we're almost caught up on the on the texts are
the tweets? Excuse me? And when we come back, we're
gonna hit some of the highlights from today's and post
game sound including the Ladies stup date on Russell Wilson
and also the latest on Kinny Pickett. But first, for
one final time, tonight, Nick Coope comes rolling into the
Fox Sports Radio studios, brought to you by tire Rack

(01:44:00):
com Up. Everything in the world is sports. What's up, Nick?
What's up? Guys? Well? In the Dolphins Chargers game, Miami
really had the highlights in the game, but it was
the Chargers who are just more consistent throughout. They pull
away twenty three seventeen, the win for Los Angeles, vaulting
them to the number seven seed in the a f C,
although if the Patriots defeat the Cardinals on Monday Night,

(01:44:22):
New England would become the number seven. Scene. Let's get
you context. Throughout the rest of the NFL forty Niners
have won six in a row thirty five seven over
the Bucks. As you guys were alluding to, the Diners
can clinch the NFC West on Thursday with a win
against the Seahawks, who lost on Sunday to the Panthers
thirty to twenty four. The final They're good running game

(01:44:42):
for Carolina as they had two hundred twenty three yards
on the ground. Carolina. Now, by the way, they're just
a game back of Tampa. In the NFC South, Bills
handled the Jets twenty to twelve ton of snow and
wind in that one. Bills have the top seed in
the a f C, matching ten and three record with
the Chiefs, who hung on against the Broncos thirty eight,

(01:45:03):
but Buffalo has got that tiebreaker. The Chiefs can clinch
the a f C West with a win against the
Texans next week. Cowboys trailed the Texans by six entering
the fourth quarter on Sunday, but they rallied a twenty
three win, avoiding that major upset the Eagles Sticking in
the NFC East. They're the first team in the NFL

(01:45:24):
to clinch a playoff spot, moved to twelve and one
as they blew out the Giants forty eight to twenty two.
Lines have won five of six thirty four twenty three
winners against the first place Vikings. Detroit now two games
out of that seventh seed, which is currently held by
the Giants in the NFC. Back to the a f C.
In the a f C North, where things are tying

(01:45:45):
to tomp the division. Baltimore and Sinc both at nine
and four, both picking up wins on Sunday. No drama
for the Bengals twenty three d ten over the Browns.
Ravens didn't have Lamar Jackson. They hang on in the
Taiwan against the Steelers sixteen to fourteen. A lot of
quarterback injury news and that one Anthony Brown, the rookie
out of Oregon, had to finish the game for Baltimore

(01:46:05):
after Tyler Huntley was placed in concussion protocol. Steelers had
quarterback problems of their own. Kenny Pickett left the game.
He was put in concussion protocol as well. Mitch Trubiskie
finished it, but he struggled, throwing three interceptions. Jaguars on
the road throttled the Titans thirty six twenty two, and
Tennessee got a late touchdown. It wasn't even that close.

(01:46:26):
It's Trevor Lawrence through a career high three hundred sixty
eight yards three touchdowns. Jaguars win in Nashville for the
first time since and the Jaguars there only two games
back of Tennessee now with four games to go, and
these teams will play again on the final day of
the regular season in Florida quickly to the NBA. Some

(01:46:47):
notable games. Pelicans maintained the top spot in the West,
four over the Suns in overtime, sixers in hornets Joel
Embiid with fifty points for Philly as they cruise one
thirty into one thirteen against Charlotte. Hawks, got a buzzer
be at a rookie a J. Griffin a little catchen
shoot shot in the paint to beat the Bulls one

(01:47:10):
two in ot Chris Arnie back to you guys, Nick,
great stuff tonight, buddy, have a good appreciate. As we
like to say, Arnie, we start the week off. We're
not a week in recap. We are kicking off your
week here on Fox Sports Radio from the tire rack
dot com studios. I wrote this question down because I
was thinking about it Um speaking of the Ravens and

(01:47:30):
he was given the Steelers update with Anthony Brown having
to finish that game. In your opinion, is that more impressed?
Kind of like the conversation over that Raiders game on
Thursday night. Was it Baker doing something or Raiders collapse,
which we all know it was one of the greatest
quarterbacks in the league, Baker Mainfield finding his rhythm. Um
for today, was it more impressive that the Ravens one

(01:47:52):
with the third string quarterback or that the Steelers were
terrible enough that they couldn't take advantage of it? Well, gosh,
Trabisky was just an absolutely mess out there. He was
a nightmare. I was watching that game, and I don't
want to say that it was impressive that the Ravens
were won because they weren't very good either. They were

(01:48:14):
just uh, I mean, barely moving the ball and if
one for the early first ten ten points in the
first quarter, who knows what would happen in this game.
It was one of the ugly games of the day. Um,
Traubinsky could have been the hero here and and pulled
out the victory. He just couldn't get it done. Give
the Ravens a little bit of credit. I mean, you
got down to a third strink quarterback and you're able

(01:48:35):
to pull off the victory. So, Um, we'll see who
starts next year. I don't know our next week. We'll
see what happens. Then, you know. One more quick tweet
from Benny, who writes I know this After week fourteen,
the Vikings defense leaks like a sieve and really shows
how much Kirk Cousins in the offense has been carrying
this team to a ten in three season four hundred

(01:48:57):
yards and what would I say earlier five five straight
games four hundred and more yards. I mean everyone's thrown them.
Mac Jones threw it for over three hundred yards against Marty.
I'll give you this to the Vikings of the worst
tenant three team in football history, and the Ravens are
the worst nine and four team in football history. How
about that? Well, the Ravens defense is kind of legit.

(01:49:19):
And you know what's crazy about the Ravens. They lost
three games they were reading by double digits. Otherwise this
team could be what twelve and one, and they'd be
the worst twelve And what deem in football is very
raiders of these. If you put the Vikings the offense,
like put Minnesota's offense with Baltimore's defense, Oh my goodness,
that pretty good football team, right, damn good football team?
All right. Biggest moments of the day. We haven't talked

(01:49:42):
much about Joe Cool and the Bengals, but it was
beyond his Goschi through some dimes today to Jamar James.
They're back. They're back. He's people were kind of writing
them off for early in the eights Cincinnati one. When
you're wondering all that bologny. Yeah yeah, I mean listen,
I can go pull the tape. You were right there
with us. You always told me in that group. Okay,

(01:50:03):
I will stop then I'll just say you get it
all right, um. But it was a defensive play that
sealed the deal for the Bengals against DeShawn Watson and
the Browns. Looking to throw fires down, hit accepted hits
picked off by Jesse Banns and he goes out of
bounds at the forty two yard line. They will run
down to the opposite end zone for the pose boy,

(01:50:26):
DeShawn Watson. And again, I'm not taking any joy in this.
According to the NFL Network, the Browns are still in
the hunt for the playoffs at five and eight. But
holy smokes, he looks terrible, exactly like we told you
four months before he came back. He looks where is
that incredible roster Browns fans? Where is this? Oh my gosh,
this super human roster and squad that has been put

(01:50:47):
together greatest strength of roster is incredible for the Browns. Yeah,
you're five and eight and your your two games back.
It took a herculean effort from your defense to beat
the Texans, who are one nine and one. He got
smoked by the bank else today. You know, Chris, if
if there if there was no uh money, if if
everybody was playing for a thousand dollars and you said, listen,

(01:51:08):
all your top quarterbacks, I don't know if the Shawn
Watson would be in my top twenty. They'll be honest
with you. I think I could come up with twenty
quarterbacks I'd rather have as my quarterback then the Shaun Watson.
And then you're gonna throw in the fact that he's
making three thirty million dollars. He's gonna set that franchise
back so far back, it's not even gonna be funny.
He's never gonna live up to the contract. He looks
putrid out there. Um, it's the biggest waste of money

(01:51:30):
that's come around, and gosh, I don't know how long
I mean, it's just it's just the biggest waste. It's
it's just gonna destroy them. They're gonna fire Kevin Stefanski
and I and I wonder Sean Payton's gonna have three
jobs to choose from. Let's let's see if the Chargers
get hot and if they finish eleven and six. I
don't think they'll be able to fire Brandon Staley. But

(01:51:51):
let's let's say they don't. And you've got to choose
between Arizona Chargers. I don't I if I said Los Angeles,
everyone want to think the Rams, but the Arizona Cardinals,
l A Chargers, and the Cleveland Browns? Which job would
you want? Right I don't want Cleveland. I don't want
to get anywhere near that right now. UM. Pretty play

(01:52:12):
in the Chiefs Broncos game, and it involved one of
the most athletic defensive plays we've seen all season. Play action, fake,
they're gonna throw it down, the passes in or something
off the tip. When the Gate Juniors twenty yard land
Town yard Land, five yard land touchdown Chansas City, the
defense gets the pick six. They have been one thing

(01:52:35):
for since the Charger game. My man Mitch Holtis and
the Chiefs radio network was fired up. Their Chiefs went
on to win the game. They're on the verge of
their seventh straight A f c West title. All they
need is when next week it gets the Texans and
and two more quick highlights because Bubbo's in tonight. It
looked like the Texans were about to pull off the

(01:52:56):
big upset. Look like my Cowboys. Let's go my Cowboys,
and then out of nowhere, that's why you gotta do this, bubble.
He just came back. And now already he just came back,
and you're scared them off. But then then the Cowboys
they righted the ship and the gun Prescott snap back
hand off, Elliott driving Cushing touch down for the kettle.

(01:53:22):
No takes the cattle sauce. I'm not getting the fine.
I'm just taking the touchdown. So the question from the
Cowboys win raise some concerns on the Cowboys or finding
a way to like you talked about earlier with the Dolphins,
find a way to win when you're not playing all
that well, that's the sign of a good team. It is. Look,

(01:53:43):
the Texas obviously took it up as like some kind
of rivalry, like it was college football, and hey, let's
go ahead and go up there and beat the Cowboys.
This is our super Bowl, this is our our playoffs.
They put everything into it. They had a great game.
Let's give them a lot of credit. The Cowboys wasn't
like they were stinking up the plays, but the Texas
we're better at time. Cowboys very well, can you get
the victory? Um, if you're a Cowboy fan, you just say, hey,

(01:54:05):
chalking up under w We're not gonna think. We haven't
thought about that game, UM in like hours. So it's
on to the next one. Is Belichick said, we're on
the Cincinnati or wherever we're going. UM, not a big deal.
They won the game, so they just move on, all right?
And then one more, one more quick highlight. I want
to play real quick before you grab a break. Takes
the snap, hands to Heckler, Eckler into the that zoone

(01:54:28):
touched up shutters good times. All right, when we come back,
we'll put a wrap with Arnie's picks right here on
Fox Sports Radio, still watching these highlights of your boys
fumble return Arnie. One of the most unlikely plays I
think we've ever seen. I thought that, Okay, here we go,

(01:54:50):
this is gonna get us going. It did, It did
at the time, but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be.
As we put a wrap on this episode out of
Arnie and playing on Fox Sports Radio right here on
a Fox Football Sunday. We've been coming to you live
as we always are from the tire Rack dot Com studio,
and we've been pumped to have our buddy Aaron Bobo

(01:55:11):
are now back tonight. You can follow him on Twitter
at A I always say a Iran, but it's a
R R O N Aaron Bobo RNL on Twitter. Great
job tonight by our man, Bo Benton. We talked to
not only Steve to Sager from so far I want
to say Staples for a moment from so far, but
also talk to Todd Furman, follow Bo Benson on Twitter

(01:55:32):
boat not Jackson and Nickope in tonight for Steve to
Sager at in K O O P because Cope is
spelled with the K and I'm all thrown off by it.
Should have gotten us tour to come on this show tonight.
I know he failed. You didn't have to document as
pay whenever Steve T. Sager comes, but already when everyone
came for tonight, in addition to waiting for Ben Mallard

(01:55:54):
to hit the air, was your picks. So take it away,
stinking genius. What you go let's get at it. I
was picking at fifty two point four percent, which is
actually the break even point. Didn't have a good week.
I went four and six, So I have now one
forty three and one thirty two them exactly fifty two percent.
So I thought we'd start with the bowl games. I'll

(01:56:16):
give you three that are going on this week was
the La Do and then we'll pick it up next weekend.
But I'm gonna take Troy minus the two and a
half over Texas San Antonio, maybe Cincinnati minus one and
a half over Louisville. And I'm gonna take Washington State
lay in the four against Fresno. Now over to the NFL.
I changed my mind, Yeah, he changed your mind. I

(01:56:37):
changed my mind. That's my quarterback. The Dolphins opened up
at seven and a half. I don't know what whine
you're gonna I used the seven and a half fine
because that that benefits me. I gotta take my Dolphins.
Too many points. Gonna be a close game. The weather

(01:56:58):
maybe slowed down the Bills a little bit, so they'll
be goal scoring for them. Also, I expect maybe some
maybe break open long the touchdowns by Tyreek Hill with
the snow being a factor or Dolphins. What do you
say his ankles hurt? You know, why do you have
to say that? Why do you wish injury has I

(01:57:20):
want you to win your picks. I don't want you
to be what give me the Dolphins plus seven and
a half? I wouldna I'm gonna give you all the
Saturday games. Give me San Francisco minus the three half
against Seattle and give me Minnesota minus the four and
a half against the Colts and Chris What game have
I been waiting to pick for like a year? Now?
I have what Arizona basketball? Maybe you know I was

(01:57:44):
talking about this on Twitter and people were tweeting me.
Why don't you shut up? I'm tired of here and
you cry about this. I haven't said a damn word,
but my Arizona Wildcats. My Arizona Wildcats play Tennessee. Remember
what happened last year and I was all bitter that'll
we lost to Tennessee. Remember that in Tennessee a lot

(01:58:05):
of Arizona losses. I've been bitter for a year. Now
it's payback time. It's revenge time. Do you know Tennessee
if they don't play in the you know, in these
uh tournaments. They play all their games at home. Now
you're coming to Tucson. Big boys, woke up to Tucson Arizona,
where you're gonna get your butt kicked. I don't care

(01:58:28):
what the line is. Arizona is gonna pay you back
for what happened last year. Arizona by a hundred over Tennessee.
We are kicking your but volunteer fans. So there you go. Here.
There you have my picks. Do with them as you please,
no longer strictly for entertainment purposes. I can't wait till

(01:58:53):
we kick Tennessee's backside. I can't wait none of the bio.
I don't care if it's by one, as long as
we win. I don't even remember it you losing to
Tennessee last It was in Tennessee that the home crowd,
it was like their n C Double A championship. It
was like their biggest thing in in like the history
of Tennessee basketing. It was the biggest thing in the
history of Tennessee basketball. Alan Houston played there, but there

(01:59:16):
was been last year whenever they beat Arizona. I you know,
literally I had to wait and go dig for a
moment because I thought, did dig get knocked out of
the n c A Tournament by Tennessee and got by
Houston Kelvin Sampson baby down. So you're you're turning. You
did a one eight in the span of like I

(01:59:37):
don't know, two hours on the Dolphins for Saturday night.
That's pretty impressed. I was feeling a little dejected after
the game. You can't blame me for that, you know,
And it's true. I mean literally, I blocked the pastor
on Twitter on Thursday night after the Raiders Rams game,
So I hold no ill will already. But hey, have
a great week. Enjoy waking up at noon tomorrow. A Bubba,

(01:59:58):
it's so great to hear your voice. Glad you were
about tonight. Great job, Bob Benson, and appreciate the time
that Nick Cope gave us a night to Saga returns
next Sunday night. Arnie uh following him on Twitter stinking
genius one. I'm a playing show great. Big Ben Mallor
is next on Fox Sports Radio.
