Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Let's go sticking, lass, go big boilet, let's.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
Go happy, Let's go compression over modulation. My man is happy.
Congratulations after quinning on your team two weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
I got my sports life back. I got my sports
life back. Are you gonna get more back? Manyana are?
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Are your Mets gonna take care for you too? Or no?
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Oh? Yeah, absolutely, I'm gonna get the split. We're gonna
go to the playoffs. My Dolphins are gonna win.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
You know.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
I got all day of sports tomorrow starting at one
o'clock with my Mets in a doubleheader, and then my
Dolphins on Monday Night football at seven fifteen.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Well, now they're your Dolphins again when you were done
with them last week.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Well that's because we got Huntley now, the quarterback I've
always wanted.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Snoop Honley right right, the guy you've always wanted, right.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
You know, I wanted him. I wanted him over, I
wanted him over Jackson.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Yeah. Well again, the show is all about you. So
congratulations to you, Arizona Wildcats. Big one.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
By the way, guess how many tweets I got? Can you.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Cut out again? How many tweets. You got what.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
I got graduate, I got zero tweets about what congratulating
me on on the Arizona win over Utah.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Well, that's because you've dumped them last week.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
But when they lost the Kansas State I got fifty
two million treats.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Fifty two million. I mean, listen, you're a guy, so
I think you can figure this out. When you come
on here and brag about how Arizona is gonna go
undefeated and run the table, and you refer to this
little conference right, you're you're dropping Colonial or something exactly,
and that no team in the middle of Kansas is
going to beat a powerhouse like Arizona. Yeah, you're probably
(01:53):
gonna hear from people when you lose to that Kansas
State team, which by the way, dominated Oklahoma State this weekend.
You're gonna hear from more people then when you beat
another Pac twelve team. Even though I thought it was
really impressive with the backup quarterback.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
I think we pretty much clinched the Big twelve.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Now, well, it's funny because a lot of people think
you still can end up winning the conference zone.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
No, no, no, no, they're done done so for.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Them, done, so they're starting quarterbacks coming back.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
That doesn't matter. There's so far behind now it's not
even fun. It's one game, yeah, one, and you're done.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
So far behind it's not one and you're done in
college football anymore. And then so Georgia does is George
out of it?
Speaker 1 (02:30):
No?
Speaker 2 (02:31):
In this conference, it is in the Big Twelve.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
It is who currently is the leader in the Big Twelve?
Right now?
Speaker 2 (02:36):
It's Colorado. It's right, Colorado right by Texas Tech? Is
that like the Rye Texas Tech? Is that like?
Speaker 3 (02:45):
That's right, the Rye Texas Tech. Arnie, you're right because.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
I bounced the next week and oh it's going to
be ugly.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
You're gonna bounce next week in Texas Tech.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
DeVry yeah, Texas.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Yeah, Devrye. I worry about you potentially losing or next three.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Stop it.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
You gotta go to b YU. You got to deal
with Tech next weekend. Colorado suddenly might be good. You
could be in Triple Man.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
B YU is the only decent team left on the schedule. Otherwise, uh,
we pretty much wrapped up. We only have three more
games on the road, so we're we're pretty much done,
uh with with the tough road games we got one
more left, that's b yu. Once we bounced them around,
well we'll pretty much have won the Big twelve.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Boy. It is funny how quickly you can go from
being down and depressed yep, to all of a sudden
you're the cocky, arrogant Arizona fan that is never going
to lose a game. It's almost impressive. Did you watch us?
To be honest with.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
You, did you see us yesterday? Didn't watch us?
Speaker 3 (03:45):
No idea, you fell asleep. There's no watching the whole game.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
I was. I couldn't go to bed.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
I was.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
I was at the edge of my seat. I was
going crazy.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
I noticed how you're seeing the effects of having a
backup quarterback for Utah. They can't score right now, and
you guys took advantage of it.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Didn't make it differ. The quarterback was gonna be.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
It absolutely made a different The quarterback was will sit
through two picks? It changed the entire landscape of that game.
You get at least admit.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
That, well, because we had the defense going there, we
should have We should have trounced them worse than that.
I'm in Paris thirteen. To be honest with you, we're.

Ti rack dot com the way tire buying should be done.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Maybe because I'm gorgeous now on.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
This Sunday night, we got a lot to get to
in Week four in the NFL. As you've already heard,
maybe we shouldn't talk college football because it's all going
to fall back into the Arizona Wildcats. But we might
have had one of the more entertaining second halfs that
we've had in college football history between George and Alabama
Tale of two halfs. New Number one at college Football
will talk about it. But we're here in this first
hour to start recapping week the National Football League, and
(05:01):
I don't know if there is a better place to
start than what in the world is going on in
this Sunday night football game. A Ravens team that was
left for dead after starting oh and two is now
on the verge and by the way, slipping by the
Cowboys last week twenty eight to twenty five. Right now,
all of a sudden, they are just running rough shot
over the Buffalo Bills, whom at three and oh I
(05:22):
think a lot of people had like penciled in to
go ahead and win the division, and now all of
a sudden, the Ravens are I mean, unless it's a
comeback of biblical proportions. Right now, thirty five to ten
with seven seventeen to go in the fourth quarter, I mean,
the Ravens are right on the verge arny of being
a game out of first place in their division after
starting oh and two.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Hey, I don't know if you know this. That Derek
Henry running back, he's pretty good.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
That guy twenty two carries one hundred and ninety six
yards in a touchdown.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
That's just premiere stuff there. That's what they needed. That's
they didn't use him right the first couple of games.
You know, this is a great Maybe it wasn't healthy.
I don't know what they were thinking. Yeah, you know,
it's like you have a brand new toy and you
don't want to play with it because you don't want
to break it or anything like that. This is the
Ravens team where a lot of people thought they were
going to see at the beginning of the year that
(06:10):
we're gonna go to the super Bowl now if they
could play like this, get out of their way. They
look they look awesome.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
And they've made a couple of mistakes too, and they're
still they haven't even been threatened in this game. What
Buffalo had. I was trying to go back through my
notes here real quick. Buffalo trailed twenty one to three
at a half, and then in the second half it
was twenty one to ten. After the Bills scored a touchdown,
they couldn't make hay after what getting a turnover, and
(06:37):
I mean the Ravens went on a six play fifty
nine yard drive, just crammed down their throat and that
was pretty much ballgame. Right now, we're just watching. I
don't want some garbage time yardage here for Mitch Trubisky,
who is in the game. I mean, we're at the
point now on Sunday Night football. We've been waiting all
day for Sunday Night. The Bills are getting dropped so
badly we've turned to Mitch Trubisky at this point. Does
(06:59):
this mean we can officially start moving on from this game?
Speaker 1 (07:01):
Now?
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Yeah, you can move on. But by the way, though,
after they scored the touchdown, they got the ball back,
they had all the momentum, and that's when it was
ripped out of Josh Allen's arms. They came up with
some stupid play that destroyed the momentum. Next thing you know,
two plays later, Baltimore is in the end zone and
that the game was over at that point. Chris, by
the way, this is not an indictment on the Bills
(07:23):
though you No. I still think they're a good team.
It just didn't go their way today. They'll still bounce
back from this one well.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
And all of a sudden, so we Arnie sends the
Roman numeral rundown every single week. I think what he
got like sixteen on there tonight I got twenty twenty
oh when you kept adding to it, and I was like,
okay enough. But Roman Numeral one is always a recap
of week four, and I think our week three or
week two, and looking ahead, it'll be a recap for
week five, six and seven. And I feel like I'm
(07:50):
gonna have the same response every single week, all right,
because every single Sunday it is magnified Arnie that this
is a week to week league and there are things
that are going to happen that will make no sense whatsoever,
because all of a sudden, you look at a three
and one now right Baltimore Ravens team, and you think, well,
(08:11):
they probably should have lost to Arizona in week one.
They pulled that one out of the bag. Miami stinks,
and Jacksonville's oh and three, oh and four and not
looking like they're going to turn into what is it
nine straight starts that Trevor Lawrence is lost. You start,
and again, I'm not disagreeing with you right out of
the gates, but you're not worried about Buffalo. If I
(08:33):
was a Bills fan, all of a sudden, I'm questioning
everything with the way that this team has looked tonight,
knowing that you've got to go to Houston next weekend
and the Texans. I mean, listen, these last two weeks
have not been pretty for Houston, but at the very
least it played really well today in finishing off Jacksonville
down the stretch, really well in the fourth quarter. So
I don't know, man, maybe I'm reading too much into this,
(08:56):
and I've got to listen to my own words about
the week to week league, but I'm like question everything
about Buffalo after the way they performed here tonight.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Are you think this is a team that's not even
gonna make the playoffs?
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Now, I now, listen, let's not go that far. I mean,
I think, I think they're still a playoff team. But
I just I mean, right, don't you have to sit
back and now? Can they have the receivers to step
up for Stefan Diggs. You see Kean Coleman dropping a
ball that was right in his bread basket. I mean,
it seems like Shakira is the only guy that's actually
making plays for him, and it took the biggest play
(09:27):
of the game of fifty two yards to even put
him in position to score a touchdown. So I don't know, man,
maybe I'm being over dramatic and I'm trying to read
too much into one game. But as Baltimore assaults away
the final four minutes of this game, right, I just
said that this was Pierre and I did not see
this type of domination coming here to know.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Now, if I'm at Bell's fan, I'm saying, look, we
weren't gonna go seventeen to know anyway, you knew this
was gonna happen. We probably marked this win as a
loss before the season started. I don't want to make
too much of this. The Ravens where actually had themselves
backed into a corner. They knew they couldn't go one
and three, Chris, they go one and three. All of
a sudden, they're in big, big trouble for the rest
of the year. So you know it's not all outage.
(10:06):
You know you back wounded out them to the corner.
They're gonna come out fighting. That's what the Ravens did.
They dominated sheer dominance over this Bills team. I'm from
the opening kickoffs, so just give them credit for the win.
We'll see how they move forward though.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
All right, listen, it's not a hill I want to
die on tonight. I want to keep Paul and the
Bills mafia happy. But for an evening, you have every
right to be frustrated with the egg this team has
late tonight. With Houston looming next week, Baltimore is going
to improve to five hundred, two and two on the season.
The Bills are gonna drop to three and one. Baltimore
is gonna win this game, and I don't think they're
gonna try to get a little garbage here late, But
(10:41):
thirty five to ten is the score with just under
four minutes left.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
All Right, I talk about my team, which is one
of the top two teams in the NFL. My commanders
with Daniels, Do they look great or what?
Speaker 4 (10:53):
Man?
Speaker 2 (10:53):
I gotta jump on that badwagon real soon.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
You have absolutely cursed to that team. What are you
doing right now?
Speaker 2 (11:00):
What do you know? They they do look good. I
wish I could. You should be putting somebody out of
the NFC is the way they look.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
They do look great. And it's funny because it suddenly
becomes a Caleb Williams versus Jane Daniels conversation, which is fair, right,
Which is fine, That's okay, and we can do this
forever as long as these guys are in the league.
But I gotta tell you something, man, Dan Quinn has
done an awesome job with that defense, obviously their new
head coach who came over from the Cowboys this offseason.
(11:29):
And you see what Nott, what his absence in Dallas
has done to their defenses. You know, it took the
Giants being a horrific offensive team for their defense still
look good on Thursday night. But how about Cliff Kingsbury
and the resurrection job He's doing. Remember Kingsbury was gonna
take the Raiders offensive job this offseason, Yeah, changed his
mind at the last minute. Went to Washington, And even
(11:52):
though they got cooked in Week one in Tampa, aren't,
they've been really good. And they've won two of their
three games on the road as Washington, even though in Minnesota.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Yeah, even though Minnesota is four to o. I think
Washington's the best team in the NFC right now. I'm
just so impressed with him. I know we're only four
games in, but the show is tonight, and they just
look fantastic Daniels. I mean, seriously, look what the guy's
Look at the numbers he's putting up, Look at the
way he's poised in the pocket, look at the way
he's making right decisions. He just looks fantastic. The team
(12:25):
just looks completely different than the last what like five
to ten years.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
Yeah, and look at the next few weeks for him.
I mean, they've got the Browns who are miserable.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Don't be a favorite in that one.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
I mean, listen, I know, I know Nick Chubb is
is getting healthy and he's coming back. How you guys
lost to the Raiders today, and you know, I love
I mean, I might bleed silver and black if you
cut me one arm silver and black, one arm crimson
and cream. But holy smokes, dude, I don't know if
the Raiders could play worse. And they got blown out
(12:57):
by Carolina last week. Max Crosby didn't play, Devontae Adams
didn't play, You're starting tight end, didn't play, your starting
right tackle was out, and the Raiders won the football game.
I mean, I'm blown away. So back to the point,
Washington will probably be Cleveland next week. They go to Baltimore,
all right, But then after that it's the Panthers, the Bears,
and the Giants. Due that could be a se that
(13:18):
could be like a seven and two football team. Before
you start really diving into the teeth of some of
those big time divisional matchups between the Eagles and the Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Let me ask you this, who had the most disappointing
loss out of all the teams today? It's really obvious, really,
there's one team that just sticks out. Go back to
the New York Jets, right, I mean, they didn't score
a touchdown against the Broncos. There was supposed to win.
This go to three and one. This is a killer
(13:48):
for is that not one of the the supporting lotses
of the weekend or what.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
The magnification, Arnie, I'm gonna say it every single week.
You guys will get tired of it, and you can
call me on it, and that's fine, but make it
make sense. The Jets lose their opener and then win
their next two games the Titans and the Patriots. Again,
We'll see what the Titans and the Patriots are this year.
But at the very least, Aaron Rodgers against New England
look good. We've got nerds wearing Aaron Rodgers jerseys on
(14:13):
ESPN through for two hundred and eighty one yards and
two touchdowns, and you lose ten to nine to Denver.
When bone when Bo Nicks threw for sixty yards sixty.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Yards, yeah, minus seven seven completions for negative seven yards.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
You lost to a team that threw for sixty yards. Unbelievable.
I'm with you. That was terrible. Now again, in a
week to week league, I would probably imagine that the
Jets will turn around and hand the Vikings their first
loss next week. But here's what I'm tired of. Okay.
I don't know what's gonna happen with Devonte Adams. But
I've decided maybe the Raiders should just trade for Aaron Rodgers,
(14:54):
because if I'm Devanta Adams, I don't want to go
to that S show in New York right now. Maybe
Aaron Rodgers should ask to go to Las Vegas because
it seems as if that team's got more of a
pulse than that dump in New York has right now.
I mean, wow, no, think about it. How do you
do that? How do you do that? In a game
the opposing team's quarterback ran for three or four alreadie,
(15:16):
did you hear me? He threw for sixty yards? There
wasn't some massive rushing attack from Denver. Today they only
average four yards per carry. That's it. If I watched that.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
I watched that whole game, and I kept saying to myself,
sooner or later, he's got to hit a long with
my accident, doesn't he throw it up, get a penalty.
He's gotta hit one. Somebody's got to break it open,
somebody's gonna catch.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
A guess not. Let me tell you who really confused
the hell out of me today? You want to bring
up the Jets, how about the Eagles? If I am
at my WIT's end with Nick Sirianni. If I'm a
Philadelphia fan right now, dude, what in the world is
going on week two week league? How can you go
into New Orleans and listen New Orleans? It's pretty obvious
it takes him. He'll plays a major part in their
(16:01):
offensive game plan. Right. He was out last week. They
couldn't get anything done. He's in for the first couple
of drives, they're scoring at will. He goes out. Suddenly
they hit a little bit of a hiccup, car gets
a pass tip that's a pick six. So you go in,
but and you shut down What is I think a
really good offense in New Orleans? And after Baker and
(16:23):
the Bucks lost to Denver, you think they're right for
the picking right, and suddenly Philly's ready to make a run.
And they don't even get out of the gates today.
Philttle that right off the opening kickoff. They're like, nah,
not only were going to take the people, We're gonna
dominate you.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
They dominated a Baker Mayfield at one point was thirteen
out of fifteen, almost towardy yards. That was in the
first quarter, I believe, or something to that effect.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
He was awesome. He was awesome. So I'm fired up
to hear what you guys took away from the week
that was. The weekend that was, and obviously not just
the pro Slate where we focused on here off the top,
but also the College Slate hit us up on X
It's the best way to get involved with the show.
Arnie is at Stinking Genius one. I'm at Plank Show.
Everyone should follow us at Fox Sports Radio before we
(17:08):
grab our initial time out from the Tirack dot Com studios. Arnie,
it is a final Baltimore runs all over Buffalo tonight
thirty five to ten. Well, have an instant reaction coming up.
But again, you're not too worried about this for Buffalo,
and it hasn't changed much about Baltimore in your opinion, But.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
Yeah, it changes much about Baltimore, but I'm not too
worried if I'm Buffalo considering that division. Also, when we
just talked about the Jets Miami without a quarterback. By
the way, if there's one thing I'm right, it certainly
sounds like two is going to come back. I don't
know how long, but I think that's good news.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
Where did that come from? I mean me saying that
or no, no, no, who is reporting it today? I
didn't seen that.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Oh I'd heard that on over the weekend.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
Okay, I've seen that anywhere. Are you sure it was
a true account, not from the two of tin foil hats?
Is it really out there? I worry about you sometime
getting duped by a fake account.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
NFL with two z's.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
NBA sentel. Right, yeah, you got it, Very well done,
very well done. All right. Well, hey, that's our producer
Patrick Sweek. He's working hard to make sure we get
all the great audio from the post game pressers. Ioa
Sam is in tonight, Mary Mack is on assignment, and
Steve de Saga is in on updates. Let's get after it.
It's Arnie and Plank. We'll dive into the disappointing Sunday
(18:23):
night football game and all the fun from week four
next on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to
listen live.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
You're too young, Ioa Sam to remember Wildcat. I've seen
this movie. I love this film. Okay, who is the
head coach? Arnie of the Wildcat go very well done. Yeah,
what was the hold on? What was the fundraiser? What
they sell?
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Pina brittle. He's like, I got a box of peanut brittle.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Yeah, love that movie.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
That's why I even have a Wildcats drop.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Us.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
That was one heck of a of a celebration. That's
got one win. The whole closet fil of peenut brittle.
Can't get rid of it. Boy, there's some really good
tweets to start this show tonight. You guys are on fire.
But I think that's what happens whenever we're four weeks in,
two games still to go, obviously with a Monday night
football double header, and I don't want to try to
(19:29):
kill the start of our final hour bit. But I
don't know if I feel confident in anything I'm supposed
to know right now? Does that makes sense to you? Am?
I am? I speaking some sense? We have to speak
in these I mean absolutes, And I got no clue.
I mean if you would have told me before the
(19:50):
season started that Sam Darnold would be getting MVP talk
and the Vikings would be four and oh, I tell
you were crazy. Same thing with jayde Daniels.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
I'm not one hundre, but there might have been a
bet by some big gambler before the year and Sam
Darnold to win the MVP.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
Oh, I mean, I'm sure there is. Isn't there eight
thousand different Twitter accounts now that tell you? Ah, there
was just this big bet placed on X, Y and Z.
I mean the Seahawks for goodness sake, Patrick's one of
his two teeth. The Seahawks are still undefeated, Arnie. And
now that that could end tomorrow night, money very much
could end tomorrow night. But they're still undefeated, right, you
(20:27):
like in the double Monday Night Football?
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Why are they doing this so many times?
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Though? I remember they experimented with it. I want to say, well, okay,
let's rewind. They used to do the doubleheader on Monday
Night Football the opening weekend and like that late game
would always be something like the Raiders Chargers or Raiders Broncos.
And then they went away from it when they got
the prime package. And now you know, I think this
(20:51):
is the last double header on Monday Night Football that
we have I think for a while, because next week
you get one, you get the Chiefs and the Saints.
And then you know, the following week is Bills and Jets,
and that's where we start bye weeks. Your Dolphins have
one of the first bye weeks of the season. So
I don't know, just maybe they were trying to increase
the Oh I say that October twenty first, Look here
(21:13):
you got a double header as well on Monday night football.
So what do I know? I was just trying to
look at it. Dissager usually knows all these answers. He does.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
He does, Steve, why do.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
We actually double headers?
Speaker 5 (21:22):
Actually that doubleheader you reference that's next month. The second
game is only on streaming some of the game. You're
Right's right, unless, of course, it's a Chargers at Arizona game.
If you're in Phoenix or LA, they have to show
it on a regular channel. But for the rest of
the country now, and these aren't technically double headers. Just
you know, like that one, it's going to be forty
(21:43):
five minutes apart the kickoffs, and then tomorrow night the
Dolphins are going to be home and kicking off, and
forty five minutes later Detroit's kicking off.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
Yeah, exactly, exactly. Well, I uh, I hope we can
find an answer to it. I don't know if we'll
get one. I'm sure it just has something to do
with a little added value. For like ESPN and are
trying to beef up their Monday night football package. But
we get a doubleheader tomorrow night. You get Chief Saints
next Monday Night, which is gonna be a really good
football game.
Speaker 5 (22:08):
You're supposed to do the same thing in mid December.
By the way, with an ABC on one channel on
a Monday night and in a ESPN at about the
same time.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
Doesn't hurt their ratings When they do stuff like that.
Speaker 5 (22:16):
You would think cannibalizing. It's the same company exactly.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
They combine them, They combine them together and give you
the number for one broad He's like, oh, looko what
the NFL did on Monday Night, and it's really two
different games, and combine them together. I did have to laugh.
By the way, a couple of early tweets to the show,
and then we'll get to Seger's update. Paul writes, usually
I would complain about Arizona football dominating the show, but
it's better than talking about what just happened on Sunday
(22:42):
Night football.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Yeah, the bill fans just have to get over I
get like, like him, you didn't think you were gonna
go seventeen and oh so you just have to go
just say, okay, that was a loss we took before
the season, so let's just get back at it and
see what happens. It's not like they're the killer division anyway,
like I said, Chris.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
Yeah, which again a couple of years ago, you're like,
dang that all right, excuse me. Start of the year.
Maybe last year you look at the East, like, look,
the Jets at Patriots might be down with the Bills
are good, Miami's good. Now all of a sudden, you look,
the Jets look terrible. The Patriots obviously are gonna be
a team you know that might win four games five
games this year. You guys will find out tomorrow night.
(23:22):
I guess this seems kind of like they spit the
bit so far after Tua went down. But now you're right,
all of a sudden, it's a much more winnable division
than maybe we even thought. And Brad and lost wages
Nevada rightes, did anyone let the Bills know they had
a Sunday night football game tonight? The NFL is frustrating.
This had all the makings of a future playoff game,
and this is what we get. Buddy. Welcome to the NFL. Man.
(23:45):
I could not agree with you more already. I was
excited to have this on during the show tonight. I
thought we'd be going down to like a Justin Tucker
field goal or something late. No absolute domination.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
I thought we were gonna have a good game also,
But I'll ask Todd when it comes on with us next.
I'm not exactly sure. I think the books lost a
boatload of money really and this, oh yeah, in this game.
I'll have to ask Todd on that one. I think
the majority of people is sharps and the public all
were all over the Ravens. They usually take the home
team on the Monday night games.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Anyway. Yeah, well, we'll dive into that more with Todd
Furman coming up in exactly about maybe forty five minutes
from now. I'm trying to be more specific spobs. Yeah,
oh for one so far, I was going to say
an hour, but it's a little less than that. Speaking
of being on time and being specific, he is back baby,
after watching a thrilling Chargers Chiefs game. Steve the Sager
(24:39):
is in the house with what's trending. What's going on, Steve.
Speaker 5 (24:41):
Yeah, Chiefs offense first eight drives, eight first downs, and
of course they won again because we've talked about this before.
They were not that impressive in most of the postseason
last year, and the offense has not been impressive in
most of the regular season this year, and they've won
all of those games, and all of these games they're
just win. I mean, the Chargers offense opening drive touchdown,
(25:03):
they went down the field seventy four yards. Next twenty
one plays they didn't have seventy four yards in this case,
and it was ten ten in the third quarter, and yes,
Kansas City won at seventeen to ten. Unfortunately, there was
what looked like a very serious injury for Chiefs wide
receiver Rashi Rice left with a knee injury. We'll get
more tomorrow with the MRI. There's already speculation that it's
(25:27):
a torn acl that's what it looked like. Because the
Chargers had intercepted a pass near midfield, they were running
it back on the sideline in front of the Chief's bench,
so it's a chaos situation. And at the same time,
Rashi Rice goes after the ball carrier trying to strip
the ball out and coming the different direction. Is Patrick
(25:47):
Mahomes trying to make one of those quarterback tackles where
they don't wrap around with the arms but they just
kind of lean down with the shoulder and try and
hit that. Well, he hit his teammate right on the
knee with the leg planted. It is not good. Kansas
City's four to oh. By the way, the rest of
the Division two and two, and how about this, the
Chiefs are still undefeated in two of the AFC West
(26:08):
stadiums five and OHO in Vegas at a leech And Stadium,
including the last Super Bowl Geez five and oh now
in La at Sofi Stadium, since that opened all close
games against the Chargers a couple in overtime, did a
three point win last year, a one point win there,
and they were down ten to nothing in the first
quarter here and came back for a fourth quarter touchdown
(26:29):
to win it seventeen to ten. So we've got to
two Monday games coming up. And by the way, the
I suppose simplistic explanation of why are we getting all
these Monday night games because the new contract gives the
Disney Company more games, so they're shoving them in these slots,
and they realized, remember we had that strike with the
Hollywood and the Writers Guild and all of that and
the Screen Actors Guild, and they started putting Monday Night
(26:52):
football back on a regular channel, and my goodness, people watched.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
Duh.
Speaker 5 (26:56):
So now they're getting more opportunities to do that that
part of the contract. But the Dolphins will start quarterback
Tyler Huntley on Monday. Skyler Thompson has been limited in
practice with a rib injury. Miami host Tennessee, which is
oh and three. Seattle running back Kenneth Walker will play
Monday after an oblique injury. Seattle is three and oh.
It'll be at Detroit. Lions tight end Sam Laporta has
(27:18):
practice fully after the springed ankle. Tonight's game at Baltimore
went to the Ravens over Buffalo thirty five to ten,
Derrick Henry one hundred and ninety nine yards rushing and
two first half scores. Washington won its third straight game,
forty two to fourteen at Arizona. Brian Robinson one hundred
one yards rushing in a TD. San Francisco led New
England twenty to nothing just before halftime thirty to thirteen.
(27:41):
The final Patriots have lost three straight. Las Vegas trailed
Cleveland ten nothing after the first quarter. Vegas wins it
twenty to sixteen. Mentioned the Kansas City win not just
stay at four and oh. The Minnesota Vikings are four
and oh after holding on at Green Bay thirty one
to twenty nine. Indianapolis over Pittsburgh twenty seven to twenty four,
but Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson left with a hip injury.
(28:04):
Jonathan Taylor, running back left with an ankle injury. Atlanta
wins on a fifty eight yard field goal in the
final seconds twenty six to twenty four over New Orleans.
Tampa Bay buckser three and one after the home win
against Philadelphia thirty three sixteen, Houston three to one home
win against Jacksonville twenty four to twenty victories for Denver,
Chicago and Cincinnati. Alabama is the new number one in
(28:27):
the AP College Football Poll. Texas down to number two,
and the regular season ended today. For most teams in
Major League Baseball, the Mets were five nothing winners at Milwaukee.
The Mets will make the playoffs with one win Tomorrow,
they have to play a makeup doubleheader at Atlanta after
the storms this past week. That twin bill will start
(28:47):
at one pm Eastern time. The wildcard series will all
be starting on Tuesday, Detroit at Houston, Kansas City Royals
at Baltimore, and then the two National League Wildcard openers
on Tuesday night.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
That's so bogus. But they have to play on Monday
and then fight to Milwaukee and play them on Tuesday, don't.
They don't play these games tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (29:13):
Just then they're going to Milwaukee. If the Mets lose
both games tomorrow, they're out.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
I know they're not.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
Gonna lose both games. Those spit at least very very agree.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
That's a disager. What what could could you imagine if
they tried to have like a gentleman's agreement, How baseball
would have to flip their lid. You can't.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
Yeah, you know what's gonna happen. You guys don't know this.
But if Atlanta wins the first game, sales not pitch
in the second.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
That's correct.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
So they're gonna pitch some guy like me who's like,
you know, like a softball with a with a beer
cat in his hand. And that's who that's.
Speaker 5 (29:52):
Not that's just baseball strategy. That's not a gentleman's agreement
with the opponent. Arizona is only going to make the playoffs.
They won today, They're still Arizona's only going to make
the playoff if there's a sweep Monday one way or
the other. If there's a split in the doubleheader, the
Mets and the Braves each advance. By the way, NASCAR
win for Russ chest Day and at kansaspect you, yeah, had.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
A great finish too. All right, that's Ernie span Well,
that's Steve Disager, He's Ernie Spanier. I'm Chris Plank. Welcome
into our Week four recap. It's a Fox Football Sunday.
Your tweet's coming up here in just a bit. But
I was a little disappointed in the Roman numeral rundown, Arnie.
There was a time honored tradition whose season came to
an end and who saved their season? Yeah, I didn't
(30:36):
see it on the Rundown tonight. Number three. Oh okay,
Well that I who's saved their season?
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Who's ended today?
Speaker 3 (30:42):
You sent too many updates? Right, just just can we
make a deal in the futures as someone who's done
the show? Will you just send one.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
Just set one. But then I had a few more
ideas that I wanted to get.
Speaker 3 (30:53):
In until like ten minutes before the show, and oh no,
I can't do that. Please, I'm begging you right now. No,
I just to send it before the Scott can we
give him another show on Saturday night? Who it's driving
me crazy? The boss Man? Who's Scott Shapiro? Please give
him another show because it's driving me crazy.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
You know it'll set to the boss off of the weekend.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
Why why would you do that to yourself?
Speaker 2 (31:17):
I sent a text a tweet, excuse me to all
these text a tweet? Okay, I said that, Yes, I
said that to Scott Shapiro, Don Martin all right, and
all the up and up the books say, I'm going
to need a week off June twenty twenty five to
go to the Knicks championship parade.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
All right, Well, I mean hopefully this works out better
than the time you need it off for the Dolphins
to stop it.
Speaker 2 (31:45):
I'm already guaranteed this stop it.
Speaker 3 (31:47):
This is about the fifth year that the Knicks are
going to win the suit of the NBA Finals.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
But back and tell me they won't. Now, after what
they did stop it.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
I think, yeah, I think you're right too.
Speaker 2 (31:58):
I already who already take it a week off?
Speaker 3 (32:01):
Well, okay, great, that's that's in June shows tonight, Arnie
Shows tonight. Who's season came to an end today? Whose
season ended today?
Speaker 6 (32:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (32:12):
One, we've talked about the Rams, the Rams. Make it
makes again. You're gonna hear this a lot from me tonight.
I've tried to google different ways to say it, but
I'm struggling. So make it make sense? How can this
be the same Rams team that beat the forty nine
ers last week and looked inept against the Bears. Are
(32:36):
we worried about Matt Stafford's health right now? He took
a shot late. It wasn't a game where say, Caleb
suddenly you watch Caleb Williams're like, oh, he's dealing. He
was better, But they were pretty inapt offensively. Andre Swift
ran the football well probably.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
Once where they got.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
But I mean, pook is down, Cooper cups down as
Stafford took that show on the final interception of the game.
They're in what appears to be a really tough division.
I think Arizona's a little better than their record would
indicate you got the Packers coming up next week. I
you know, maybe you'll beat the Raiders in two weeks,
(33:15):
but that's at home, and that's gonna be a Raider crowd.
Then you got to deal with Minnesota before going to Seattle.
I mean, they'll maybe be a favorite in one of
their next four games. Wow, yeah, maybe Are they a
favorite against the Packers next weekend?
Speaker 2 (33:29):
I doubt it. I doubt it. You know I said
this to you last year. When we're wrap it up
the year, I can see him retiring after this year,
just say enough is enough. He's been through a lot,
His family's been through a lot, He's made a lot
of money. Why continue. He's getting banged up a lot too.
I think I would call it a career after this year.
Thirty six years old. Thirty six years old, relatively young,
(33:52):
it seems anymore in quarterback years. But I would take
the Rams as a season a team who I think
their season came to an end today. Yeah, surprise me
when you said that, because I thought you were gonna
say the Browns because they played your Raiders.
Speaker 3 (34:04):
That's fair.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
I mean watched a lot of that. Yeah, they're they're done, though,
they're over. It's OvR. I mean, they they really let
this one slip pot. I thought they came from mind
to win it, but they got a touchdown called back
great in the game. I know you must have been
happy about that one. But goodwin by your Raiders. But
I can't believe the Browns lose again, drop the one
and three. They're They're going nowhere this year.
Speaker 3 (34:26):
They're terrible. They're terrible. I mean I watched Deshaun Watson
play today, Yeah, and I have these visions of the
Deshaun Watson that was. How far do we have to
go back nineteen twenty whenever he was in the MVP
conversation and he was turning things around for Houston and
(34:46):
they're opening up the NFL season on Thursday night against
the Chiefs. Or I never was like, oh this is
could be an AFC championship preview. He just I mean again,
I'll say this a thousand times tonight the Raiders were
without their two best players and they still did that. Unbelievable.
So yeah, two teams rams Brown's season came to an
(35:06):
end tonight, But who's saved their season. We'll dive into
it next with Arnie and Plank on Fox Sports Radio.

say the Rams, You say the Browns saw their season
come to an end. Who saved their season in your
eyes today, Arnie Roman numeral three? Who saved their season?
Speaker 2 (36:06):
Well, I could start with the Denver Broncos. I mean
they should have lost today, could have dropped the one
in three and that would have been the end of
their season. They wouldn't have been going anywhere and we
would have said, okay, bo Nick looks horrible and what's
going to become of them? But yet they pull out
a good victory and they're two and two all of
a sudden and they could fight it out for a
(36:28):
playoff spot. So yeah, they saved their season. What a
victory that was today over the Judge too.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
Can I go back a little bit?
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (36:36):
Can I take the Cowboys from Thursday night? Or is
that going? Does anyone remember that game on Thursday night?
Because it was very forgettable. I'm not. I found myself
watching Temple An Army and it was a bigger blowout.
I was watching Rutgers play Washington and it was much
more entertaining than Cowboys Giants. But I kind of felt
like Dallas was in a must win situation. And boy
(36:59):
Daniel Jeezes just continues to blow my mind with how
terrible he is. But after back to back now pretty
challenging losses, I mean, come on, Arnie, they needed that
in a big way and they got it. Now, if
that's too far away from when this show takes place,
I will go ahead and take the Ravens right because
not only did they win, but they dominated and I think,
(37:22):
try not to get too carried away here, but the
show is tonight, and where about knee jerk reactions. I
do think they kind of reintroduced themselves into the mix
as a team that Okay, we might have had a
tough start, we might've lost the powerful Las Vegas Raiders,
but we're not going anywhere. We're going to be a
part of this thing for the rest of the season.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
Well, let's talk about a team that we usually don't
talk about, but they saved their season. They look good,
but then they had a terrible injury. I'm talking about
the Colts. What do you do about them? They had
a big win, Richardson's goes down all of a sudden,
there's what a Flacco siding? Right, I didn't even know
where that guy was. And next thing you know, they win.
(38:00):
And to what what happens to the Colts from being
around out, Yeah, it's a great question.
Speaker 3 (38:04):
We get Colts fans that check in regularly with us
on the on the tweet line at Stinking Genius Oneted
Plank Show. Everybody should follow us at Fox Sports Radio.
And the one tweet that really stood out to me
was from our buddy Josh, who writes the NFL is weird.
(38:24):
No leads are safe and you get blowouts between teams.
Maybe we should ease up on poor Arnie's terrible record,
and maybe we should start wondering if the cult should
move away from Anthony Richardson. First of all, I appreciate
that you have his back on that.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
I agree.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
It's hard to figure out. Did you finish over five
hundred today in the NFL?
Speaker 2 (38:44):
I am five and four in the NFL with Miami
minus one to finish off the week.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
Okay, do you start worrying about the health of Joshu Richardson?
Anthony Richardson going forward?
Speaker 2 (38:55):
What was it this hip? Is that what had happened
or what was exactly the final diagnoses on that?
Speaker 3 (39:01):
Well, there was there was the hip, and then there
was the potential concussion too. That's what it looked like
to me.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
Well, I was more worried about the hip because I'm like, oh,
my goodness, supposed they have to, you know, operate or
do something like that.
Speaker 3 (39:14):
Now.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
The concussion obviously is serious, but Flacco looked pretty good
when I saw him when I was watching whatever a
little I was watching that game.
Speaker 3 (39:23):
By the way, Josh stolen valor. It was Cam on
Twitter who writes, I've seen it. I've said it since
week one year, week one last year, and every week
this year. The Colts need to move on from Richardson.
Sorry stolen valor, Josh. I know you still believe in
your guy, Anthony Richardson, but with that in I don't
I don't know if he does as a Colts fan
right now, With that in mind, did you hear what
(39:43):
Ephim said about that today that when Joe Flacco came
in the game, it was the worst thing that could
have happened to Pittsburgh because it completely opened up everything
that Indy wanted to do with their offense. It's like
what and it showed. I mean, the Steelers looked like
they were lost trying to defend Joe freaking Flacco. Who
would have thought he would the difference for the Colts,
who may have saved their season today with a big win.
(40:03):
All Right, one hour down, when we come back, Arnie
thinks it was a bad day for the books. We'll
ask Todd Furman about it and start rolling with some
of the postgame audio. After a busy week four in
the NFL on Fox Sports Radio, I as coming to
you live from the tire Rack dot Com studios. Tire
rack dot com will help you get there on unmatched selection, fast,
free shipping, free roadhazard protection, and over ten thousand are
(40:26):
recommended installers. Tire rack dot com the way tire buying
should be. Yes, we got a lot of good tweets.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
We do I real quick. Because the saga didn't give
all the scores a couple scores, I wanted to get
in there, Chris, if I.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
May, so, you're questioning Steve de Sager not getting all
the scores in that sho.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
Yeah, he did a very bad job. Friday night, I
was in my Senior Olympics and was talking a lot
of smack to the other team. Uh huh hit five
three pointers in the first like three minutes of the game,
you did, Yeah, we're we're up by thirteen points. And
I was talking smack like, maybe you guys should call
(41:04):
time out. You guys don't look like you're gonna last
the thirty minutes and stuff a final score. We lost
one on one fifty one.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
Wait, hold on, you hit five three pointers out the gate? Yeah,
and you still lost by fifty one on one fifty one? Hardey,
how's that happen?
Speaker 2 (41:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (41:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
I didn't hit another shot after that just wanted.
Speaker 4 (41:27):
Wait, wait was it three pointers or was it free
pointers as in free throws?
Speaker 2 (41:31):
Hell no, no, no, no, yeah yeah no. And then
the second game things got a little chippy and are
enforcer hit another guy in the head and split his
head open. What Yeah, he split his head open and
knocked the ball. The blood was all over the place.
Speaker 3 (41:47):
Great.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
And then the same enforcer in the third game knocked
two old men to the ground and people are like, hey, hey,
what's up with that guy to the crowd, Maybe.
Speaker 3 (41:58):
You're in forcer needs to chill out at a little bit.
It's senior Olympics, dude, what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (42:02):
It was very important. So we finished doing three. We
lost by fifty by thirty three, and by thirty.
Speaker 3 (42:09):
They should have ejected the man. Yeah, he should have
been out of there.
Speaker 2 (42:13):
I hurt my calf. I couldn't play. I was playing
great the last game. I had like seven points right
off the bat, and then I hurt my calf, and
I was I was gonna hurt my achilles. So I
just thought, nah, okay, well, I'm uh. The Sacred didn't
give the score of those games, sorry.
Speaker 3 (42:27):
But it was there any other scores from the Vermont
Senior Basketball League or Senior.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
No, but what team was chirping me? And they were
like the eighty five to ninety year olds. And I'm like, dude,
I wouldn't be chirping me. I don't even know if
you'll be around next year, but whatever.
Speaker 3 (42:42):
We don't appreciate your joke, soul man. Wow, any other
any other shots you want to get in.
Speaker 2 (42:48):
On their teaple? They their team was the Fossils.
Speaker 3 (42:54):
That's pretty good. I got it.
Speaker 2 (42:56):
It was it was good, but it was a good time.
I had had a good time. I just wish I
didn't get hurt.
Speaker 3 (43:00):
Oh, I'm sorry you able to move around the show today.
I had.
Speaker 2 (43:04):
I had to miss my game this week, but I'm
gonna I make live streaming from now and you guys
would get a good laugh out of that. It's it's
pretty funny.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
I'm just I'm impressed. If there's still pick up leagues
and enough people around your town to play, that's pretty
eighty five to ninety year olds play.
Speaker 2 (43:18):
And then I'm in the league.
Speaker 3 (43:20):
I'm watching this Anthony Richardson hit that we were talking
about again. Yeah, and he was the one with the
hip yeah, and he gets hit on the back in
the back and he goes down on the hip and
then he just crumbles. And I you know, I thought
that was more helmet to helmet when I saw it
the first time. I think you're right, Arnie, I think
that's definitely more of a of a hip issue, Like, yeah,
(43:43):
it looks like it really hurt too, but we got
some reaction to it. So let's hit some tweets here
to start off our number. But any other stories, Well, they.
Speaker 2 (43:52):
Did save their season. There's no no doubt about that.
They were. I mean that you look pretty good. I'm
not gonna say that they just saved their season because
of a win. That if they play like this they
could they could do some serious damage. They look very
good today.
Speaker 3 (44:06):
Bake brings up a really good point. A lot of
Colts fans checking in tonight, He writes, I'm a Colts fan. Boys.
When our backup can utilize more of the playbook than
the starter, it's time to move on. Wow, you gotta
remember Anthony Richardson. I hate to drop the bless his
heart in here. It's not like he was some incredible
college quarterback either. I mean he was a project whenever
(44:31):
Indianapolis drafted him at what like eight he was did
he have a great game?
Speaker 2 (44:36):
And we went whoa look at that?
Speaker 3 (44:37):
It was the open up two years ago. Not for
the Colts. I'm talking Florida in college, right, are you
talking about with him?
Speaker 2 (44:45):
I'm talking about it in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (44:47):
Oh, Okay, I'm sure he has. I mean, listen, Justin
Fields had one good game against the New England Patriots
whenever he was the Bears, and we thought he was
gonna be the next greatest thing, and you know now
he was. He's fighting with Russell Wilson for the starting
chop in Pittsburgh and just got beat by the Colts.
But you have one good game in college and you're
a dual threat that's built like Anthony Richardson, you're gonna
(45:09):
go in the first round. I mean, they're just gonna
find a way to get you. And I don't know
how these are two. I don't know how severe this
injury is, but he wasn't able to come back in
the game. But if he can't finish a season, Arnie,
I know you've heard this before. I don't know if
it's original. I don't know if anyone's used it before,
but your best availability is your availability, and dude just
(45:30):
can't play and bakes aught of something. If they can
use more of their playbook with Flacco, that's a problem.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
What was the statue gave me last week about how
many quarterbacks started like sixty last year? Sixty starts last
year in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (45:46):
By sixty six to be exact, sixty six quarterbacks started
an NFL game last season.
Speaker 2 (45:51):
So pretty much like to a team for.
Speaker 3 (45:56):
Pretty much like I'm sorry I missed the joke because
you dropped. No, no, just like two different per team
is pretty much. Yeah, thirty two team league. Basically six
seven starting quarterbacks had their seasons in prematurely due to injury.
And I mean sixty six quarterbacks. Now, again, a handful
of those were guys that started in the final week,
(46:17):
but I mean, what do we have like four different
quarterbacks the Vikings last year with everything they went through,
the Jets seemed like they started about three or four
different quarterbacks. So yeah, you gotta have some depth at
the quarterback position, which is why a guy like Joe
Flacco is so valued. Rick Flair, Oh the nature Boy
has checked in. He writes, if Kyler Murray's reign of
(46:37):
terror ends after next year. I think Arizona is on
the hook for only forty million dollars and I think
the coach is gonna be fired.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
Whoa, whoa, I've heard that before with them. How many
how many coaches can you go through in Arizona? Right?
Speaker 3 (46:52):
He was sacked four times today. I'm not a big
QBR guy. But the quarterback rating according to the ESPN
box Score was twenty eight point four for Kyler Murray
and then there was but this is what's weird. Quarterback
rating was twenty eight point four. But then his overall
rating was one of four point seven. Sounds like an
FM alternative rock station sixteen of twenty two for one
(47:16):
hundred and forty two yards six And I mean again,
he only carried the ball one time. I think they're
trying to make him a little bit more of a
pocket passer. Still, you can't do that. He can't do
that dual threat, not with him.
Speaker 2 (47:27):
He's the reason why I remember that first year he
was running all over the place. That's why he was
so you know, valuable. He was such a threat what
he was able to run like that.
Speaker 3 (47:37):
Paul hashtag Bill's mafia representing tonight. Right, the only thing
that gives me comfort after the Bill's performance is knowing
the Jets just lost to Bonix, so their season, along
with Miamis is essentially ov er over. Are you so?
Are you trying to generate a little bit of hope
here that two was going to come back.
Speaker 2 (47:59):
Yeah, I was thinking that he was going to be
back in about three to four weeks. That's that's what
I thought I heard. I don't know if I was
falling from some bogus report or what, but it didn't
make it sound like he was gonna miss the entire
year and then it was going to be back very soon.
I didn't think he was gonna be missing a whole
lot of games anyway. I said that last week. I
didn't think he was gonna be out that long.
Speaker 3 (48:21):
But again, I don't know where this is coming from.
I have not seen any buzz if anything. Why you
still think he's gonna miss the year?
Speaker 2 (48:29):
Right as well?
Speaker 3 (48:30):
Think I don't think he's coming back this year. It's
just and again, this is haunch, This isn't reporting. Don't
need to get aggregated, though we wouldn't mind it for
the clicks. So I'm just saying, I don't think he's
he'll come.
Speaker 2 (48:39):
Back yere, he'll come back as soon as he's available,
as soon as he's cleared, and that then he'll come
back immediately. So he's not gonna miss the entire year.
I still think it's gonna be about another two or
three more weeks.
Speaker 3 (48:52):
I think if he's coming back at all, there's no
way it's gonna happen until after at least week eight.
I mean, I think you're full of at the least
maybe even week nine. I mean that's only four weeks away.
Right when you're looking at the season. This is week
four right now, and you think he's gonna be back
after week in two weeks.
Speaker 2 (49:11):
Yeah, after the bye week. I don't have the schedule
pulled up in front of me. Whenever Miami's they have
a bye week coming up.
Speaker 3 (49:16):
You said, again, is this well researched or is this
Arnie's gut?
Speaker 2 (49:20):
No, this there was a report that said he should
be back. I thought within three to four weeks, So
that's what I thought. I saw. My gut says I'll
be back, maybe even sooner than that.
Speaker 3 (49:32):
Doctors have told Tua to try and live his normal life,
albeit with one key stipulation, the short version of what
they've told him. If you're feeling good, do all your
normal activities, just not football stuff. Arnie. That doesn't sound
like a dude that's going to be back in two
to three weeks.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
Just not foot do everything that you've been doing. Just
don't do any football stuff.
Speaker 3 (49:56):
I mean, that's what Tom Pelasaro said in advance of
tomorrow night's and I guess tonight's game. He said that
on the Rich Eisen Show this week he didn't make
the trip to Seattle. Doctors have cleared him to fly,
but he didn't go to Seattle. So what was that
last week with the team when they went to Seattle.
So maybe maybe there's a chance, but yeah, we'll see.
(50:20):
He flew separately. I guess he did take a trip
to Seattle.
Speaker 2 (50:25):
Sorry, oh, Dennis, So there you go. I just can't imagine,
my bad that you're gonna miss an entire year of
football from this. If that's true, then you really got
to one that what's going up in the following year,
and you gotta, you know, maybe think about moving on.
If that's the case.
Speaker 3 (50:40):
Here's another update to it. And by the way, I
just botched that he didn't fly with the team, but
he flew to the Seattle game last week. Whether he'll
be back this season or not is still far from
being revealed as truth. There's still quite the road ahead,
but all of the latest signs and reports should be encouraging,
not only for Tua himself but for or Dolphin fans.
(51:01):
That's according to I'm sure the very reliable website finfanatic
dot com. They probably got it from me, yeah, which
they probably They probably heard it on Fox Sports. But
Snoop Huntley, that's Tyler Huntley will get the start, and
Tua wants to play again. I think that's the most
important thing right when you're looking at his future, is
that he wants to play again, all right. Josh Santamaria
(51:23):
has been on fire tonight. He's got a handful of
him here, he writes, Guys, the Jets game today is
more of a story of how good Denver's defense is
than the Jets. Remember, they also beat Tampa at Tampa
and Caleb Williams is not the answer. He's not even
on the same planet on Jalen Daniels. And finally, who
are you crowning today? Already after four games Tampa or Washington.
Speaker 2 (51:49):
Washington, Washington. Yeah, I said, said they may be the
best team in the NFC right now. I just love
the way Daniels look. He's just so calm, poised me.
He's got good numbers. And remember he's leading a really
bad team, dude, right it's not a great roster, no,
so that just makes it even more impressive. I just
love everything that he's doing right now.
Speaker 3 (52:10):
Three other quick ones, Nature boy, the Rams season is
ov r over. The Niners gifted them a win last week.
And correction, guys, all Bill's fans thought they were going
to be undefeated through the Super Bowl as of about
three and a half hours ago.
Speaker 2 (52:27):
That is true too about Bills fans. They think they're
going seventeen to so every year. But I mean, you're
being realistic. You know, at best you're gonna lose like
three or four games, and this was just gonna be
one of them on the Monday night football game. That's all.
Speaker 3 (52:40):
And our buddy Jason B. Diamond Wrights. The Brown season
probably ended today and the Eagles season is very close
to ending. Perhaps, I don't know what to make of
what the Eagles did today.
Speaker 2 (52:52):
Yeah, we did bring them up. What's that? What's that about?
Speaker 7 (52:55):
Huh?
Speaker 3 (52:55):
They're sitting at two and two right now, probably should
be one in three. I don't really I think if
the Saints don't wet the bat on that final drive,
that'd go down to kick a field goal at least
fource overtime, or if you don't have two linebackers crash
into each other.
Speaker 2 (53:10):
And they got dominated today too.
Speaker 3 (53:12):
And Saquon Barkley ran for eight I mean, eighty four
yards isn't gonna wow anyone, but Tim Carey's eight point
four yards per carrying out. A lot of that came
on one fifty nine yard run. But for the stat
nerds out there, three hundred and forty seven yards of
the year for Baker Mayfield didn't make a mistake, two
touchdowns and was just incredible. So I don't know if
this says more about lookout for Tampa in the bounce
(53:34):
back game, or let's raise the level of concern even
higher for the Philadelphia Eagles, because that's just bad. They're
just I think of that was bad football today.
Speaker 2 (53:43):
It's both of them on that one. Yes, you have
to wake up and say, oh, hey, look at this
Tampa team. My goodness, man, when did they get to
be this good? What happened? When did Baker Mayfield get
to be this good? And yes, a lot of concern
for Philadelphia, I mean two and two, and you're scratching
your head and saying, not only did we lose, which
(54:04):
we could understand maybe it's on the road, but we
got dominated and was they were? It was twenty four
to three, I believe at one pointer, twenty four to
seven before they even blink. So they just weren't prepared
to play this game.
Speaker 3 (54:19):
It was not pretty all right. When we come back
to the tyrack dot com studios, we passed the baton
to our buddy Todd Furm and Arnie. You think it
was a bad day for the books, right.
Speaker 2 (54:29):
Yes, I do.
Speaker 3 (54:30):
We'll see if Todd agrees and brings the facts next
on Fox Sports Radio, Let's go to Vegas Arty in
Plank on a Fox Sports Sunday. Oh, they're celebrating, they're
partying in the streets. The Raiders are two and two.
Todd Ferman joins us. But honestly, Todd, I want to start.
I want to start with a running ReBs Man. How
cool of a story has that become? After the fight
(54:52):
this week over one hundred thousand dollars promise, and the
ReBs go out and absolutely lay waste. What a sports
weekend for Los of Vegas.
Speaker 4 (55:01):
An ugly look. In the middle of last week when
the story broke about Matthew Sluca and not receiving his
one hundred thousand a nil payment money, you get a
prominent CEO and Derek Stevens a circle resorts to get
involved to try and get things rectified. And what do
the Rebels do. They go out there and put a
resounding thumping on Fresno State under a transfer quarterback from
Campbell who they thought had a good chance to win
(55:22):
the job before the season started. And now suddenly you
get a power four team coming in on a short
week and prime time Friday night on the Strip should
be an electric atmosphere where the Rebels are ranked for
the first time in program history and find themselves a
four to four and a half point favorite against the Orange.
Speaker 2 (55:37):
Unbelievable. I like that game too. I'm gonna give up
my pickwaight around with Todd if I remember correctly last week,
and iowa Sam, Who's going to play? What I said
last week to you? Matter of fact here it is, Todd,
go ahead, take my Arizona Wildcats. They're gonna crush you, Tah,
and you get three and a half to one odds.
What'd you think of that, big boy?
Speaker 3 (55:56):
Hu? Did you like that?
Speaker 2 (55:57):
What Todd or what I've read law?
Speaker 4 (55:59):
Look year, Wildcats went out there, took care of business,
looked buttoned up on both sides of the ball, and
find themselves now firmly entrenched in a big twelve race
where I don't think there is a clear cut favorite,
and the odds kind of suggest that Kansas State, Iowa State, Utah,
and Arizona all the relative short shots, but with price
tags a four to.
Speaker 1 (56:17):
One or greater.
Speaker 4 (56:17):
But I don't think you can rule anybody out. Given
what we've seen so far, we knew was going to
be a pretty wide open league coming into the season.
I think the only team that has really done a
disservice to their program overall is Oklahoma State with a
pretty lethargic effort in Manhattan over the weekend. And don't
look nowt but Colorado suddenly very much in the thick
of things with a pretty impressive win down in Orlando,
(56:38):
beating the Knights outright as a thirteen and a half
point underdog on the closing line in Big Neon kickoff right.
Speaker 3 (56:43):
So, Arnie's of the opinion that, adding in what happened
in Sunday Night Football, that it might have been a
rough day for the books. How do you feel like
it looked overall?
Speaker 4 (56:51):
You know, not the best the way things have gone
so far. The result that probably helped the house the
most was the New York Jets losing outright as a
seven and a half.
Speaker 3 (56:59):
Eight point five.
Speaker 4 (57:00):
It kind of was the key money line, parlay, leg
teasers and everything else that factored into it. You look
at the game you mentioned Sunday Night Football, miraculously staying
under the total at forty seven and a half helped.
But one of the bigger public sides of the day
was the Cincinnati Bengals. It didn't matter where that number was,
the general public was going to come in on Cincy.
They do find themselves on the right side of the
(57:20):
decision between Jacksonville and Houston, and I'm sure there were
plenty of disgruntled fans out there trying to figure out
why on the kickoff it wasn't a safety that could
have potentially pushed that game to a six point margin.
But given the win fall, the books, the scene through
the first three weeks, this will not be a day
at least in my opinion. Now when the figures come out,
it'll be different. That'll rival the first three Sundays of
(57:41):
the season.
Speaker 2 (57:41):
You know, Todd, I picture a game, Mike, Alabama Georgia.
First of all, what kind of numbers did it do?
Second of all, did everybody bet like Georgia in the
second half? Was they thought the game was going to
get closed and the books get clobbered. I don't know
if they did. They probably made a bowload of money
on that.
Speaker 4 (57:58):
You definitely weren't getting in the Alabama tickets for that
second half. That's not People see one of the top
teams in the country chasing that kind of deficit, and
they figure things can't possibly snowball more so than we'd seen,
and lo and behold, Georgia finds their way back into
the game. I think one of the more interesting angles.
And spoke to a couple of shops and said they
did have some liability to Georgia for in game money
line price tag that drifted out as high as twenty
(58:19):
two to one when they were chasing a four touchdown deficit.
Then of course you get the wild swings and the
final couple of minutes. But that's the kind of game
that does move the needle first sportsbooks on a Saturday,
and will college football continues to grow. That game does
similar right to what you'll see for some of the
games on Sunday, But it's still the NFL first and foremost,
even as college football continues to grow in popularity, it
(58:41):
moves the needle across the country. It's not the NFL
when you have sixteen games on Sunday, especially with some
of those standalone games on a Thursday night, a Sunday night,
or in the case of the two games tomorrow, Monday
Night football. But not very easy for recreational betters to
come up with their creative parlays with two games of
such short favorites.
Speaker 3 (58:59):
I don't know how Todd I mean. I'm just I'm
so submitting with how unpredictable the NFL is. I mean,
the Rams beat the Niners last week to get to
one at two. Granted the Niners hand in the game,
think they might have turned the corner. Then they lose
it home to the Bears. You brought up the Jets
against the Broncos today and make Philly make sense to me.
(59:19):
And they go on the road and they beat a
good Saints team and then they absolutely lay an egg
today and getting smoked by three scores against Tampa. I mean,
how do you do it week in and week out?
Speaker 4 (59:29):
Need a matchups, make fights, and you try and look
for some of the unquantifiable elements to factor into your handicapping.
And you mentioned Philly and Tampa. This was a game where,
in my opinion, it's easy to say in retrospect that
I don't think the market reflected enough of the key
absences for the Philadelphia Eagles. You saw other offense completely
out of sync early on with the ag Brown, DeVante Smith,
and Lane Johnson. Unfortunately for me, I also had a
(59:51):
little bit of exposure to the first half under in
that game in Baker Mayfield against six Fangio zone defense
made it look like he was trying to win a
Heisman Trophy at all Oklahoma with very little resistance. So
one of the things with the NFL, you can't forget
what you saw the previous week, but you can't overvalue
one particular data point as well. And I'll tell you
full on right now the game. That'll create a little
(01:00:12):
bit of liability for the house, and people will probably
run over men, women and children to bet. They're going
to love Baltimore minus two and a half on the
road against the Cincinnati Bengals because they just saw Baltimore
on National TV dismantle a previously undefeated Buffalo side. But
I would caution betters there that that's a little bit
of a difficult spot. You're going to get a level
of desperation from Cincinnati knowing that they can't let their
(01:00:34):
record fall the one in four after they finally got
in the win column after a big win against the
Panthers today.
Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
All right, tom let's make a boatload of money. Let's
get over to baseball. Everybody knows that's going to be
a split tomorrow between the Braves and the Mets. How
do we bet that to go ahead and make a
boatload of money? And after that, the Mets will have
no chance against Milwaukee, considering they'll have to go all
out on Monday, So you might as well bet Milwaukee
to go ahead win that series.
Speaker 4 (01:00:58):
Right Well, if you think it it's going to be
a split tomorrow, Arnie, and you think that's a formality.
Then you wait till Game one is over and then
just bet whatever you want in a second game, figuring
that there's going to be a split to try and occur.
You do begin to feel for the Diamondbacks, but they
let an opportunity control their own destinies slip through their fingers.
So it will be interesting to see, you know, the
winner of Game one tomorrow between the Mets and Braves,
(01:01:19):
how they elect to approach their lineup. They're not going
to empty, you know, the bullpens with any high leverage
arms after having one Game one, but there is a chance,
but just still see positional players out there. I just
think it's fascinating because you always have to be cognizant
of letting a division rival into the postseason that you
have a chance to, you know, potentially eliminate. And how
ironic that would be if whoever wins Game one sits
(01:01:41):
everybody Game two, that team gets in and suddenly becomes
the team that they have to face down the road
because they didn't close them out when they had the
opportunity to do so.
Speaker 3 (01:01:49):
I know, and it's got to be fascinating to see
how this plays out. Let me bring you back to
college football. Boy. I just I still am in awe
of the day that we had, the weekend that we had.
All this though, is probably the most disappointing. Could that
thing crumble again? Such a unique makeup for a squad
Todd a lot of transfers. I don't think there is
(01:02:09):
a four year guy that's starting on their depth chart
right now. It's a bought roster. Could this team end
up maybe spitting the bit here a little bit down
the stretch.
Speaker 4 (01:02:19):
We'll learn a lot more about Old Miss this week
in the level of resilience they show, because they're going
to get a well rested South Carolina team who's got
a chance to watch them on tape. And when you
look at Old Miss and the area where they struggled
the most yesterday in their loss to Kentucky was along
that offensive line. Well, last I checked, South Carolina might
have one of the most underrated defensive lines in the
(01:02:40):
entire country, let alone the SEC. They're going to be
able to pin their ears back. They're going to come
after Jackson's darts, try and get them off a spot.
And you should have a healthy Lenorius Sellers or a
healthier version that can provide some threats. So when you
look at Old Miss, there is no doubt if the
team were to lose back to back games. When you
go about, you know, trying to build the rosters to
transfer portal at the first sign of adversity, does it
(01:03:01):
galvanize the group or does it fracture them at the seams?
And it's one of those questions I don't think anybody
really has an answer to in college football yet, because
as much as we think we know about the nil era,
we're still learning very much with increasing data points each
and every week.
Speaker 2 (01:03:14):
Who's getting the most action in the in college football
coming up next weekend?
Speaker 4 (01:03:20):
I mean, when you look at the games, it's not
the most overly attractive slate from a viewership standpoint. You
go through and try and find some of the marquee matchups,
you know, I have to imagine books are going to
find themselves rooting for Arkansas as nearly a two touchdown
underdog against Tennessee in prime time. That it's a game
you know in the SEC most likely going to generate
a pretty healthy amount of handle. That's the one thing
(01:03:40):
when you look at the way the college football slate
is typically constructed, The later a game is at night,
not the late night pack twelve games like Oregon Ucla.
But when you have a game in prime time, if
the public is having their way, typically that's where some
of the liability accumulates. Whether it's people that have had
good days looking to try and press their good fortune
or on the other side of the coin betters that
(01:04:01):
have lost throughout the course of the day and want
to try and find the opportunity to get even. So
I would think that that will most likely be one
of the more heavily beck games of the day. I
don't think a game like cal in Miami and the
acc despite game day going out there, really does it
for a lot of fans. And you know, maybe it's
Michigan and Washington also taking place in primetime that creates
some buzz, But I don't get the feeling Michigan is
(01:04:23):
currently constructed, even being a big brand, and Washington down
will be that movie Jesus needle Mover that we otherwise
would anticipate.
Speaker 3 (01:04:32):
All right, So todd, final thought from me, which offensive
stat is uglier for a team that won Notre Dame,
that somehow won a game when they were two for
ten on third downs and only picked up eleven first
downs in the games. Or Oklahoma, who only had six
players register in offensive stat Four guys caught a football,
(01:04:54):
two guys carried it. That was it the whole game,
and both of those teams somehow won game. Which one
is more concerning to you? And why is it Oklahoma?
I think?
Speaker 4 (01:05:05):
I mean you mentioned the Sooners. En Look, I mean,
this was a team that was the beneficiary of what
I would define as a fourtuitous bounce. To say the least,
Peyton Thorne was in the very generous mood to squander
that ball and allow the pick six.
Speaker 3 (01:05:18):
But you're right.
Speaker 4 (01:05:18):
You look at that statue for Oklahoma, and honestly, Chris,
I did a double take to try and see how
few players touched the ball for Oklahoma as far as
their skill positions were concerned, how much they had a
lean into their starting quarterback. But you can't discount a
win in hostile territory in Oklahoma showed that level of
resilience despite facing that twenty one to ten deficit going
into the fourth. But you look at the Sooners' upcoming
(01:05:40):
schedule and as we know in the SEC, life doesn't
get an easier Oh wait, we have the Red River
rivalry that'll take fresh off of a bye, and then
you get South Carolina and old Myths. So I don't
think the Sooners legitimate SEC contenders. But when you look
at the team at four and one, if they can
get to eight or nine wins, I think it have
to be considered a very successful season as they continue
to beef up their roster to compete with the big boys.
Speaker 3 (01:06:01):
In college football.
Speaker 2 (01:06:02):
All right, and Tom, last thing for me, I know
you didn't want to come on say you you were
afraid of me, because you know I lost millions of
dollars today because it's too late for me to bet
my Knicks now, right. I'm sure everybody's betting them to
win the championship, right, and it's too little to go ahead,
get some good odds on that.
Speaker 4 (01:06:18):
I mean, the reality of it is, Arnie, they were
already relatively short in the betting market given how well
they finished last season. So you know, when you're starting
to look at the Knicks and the potential for them
to win, you know, the NBA Tame seven, the one
or something there shot on the board, behind only the
Boston Celtics and the Oklahoma City thunder. The big question
I have in all of this is we know Tom
(01:06:39):
Thibodeau isn't always the easiest personality to get along with.
I'm very curious to see how the chemistry unfolds between
him and Karl Anthony Towns. From an ex's and O standpoint,
he's a good fit for that Knicks roster. But I
think you lose a little bit of that grit and
tenacity by trading a player in Julius Randall and.
Speaker 1 (01:06:56):
Dante di Vincenzo.
Speaker 4 (01:06:57):
But Knicks for making moves, and there's no doubt good
reason why they're commanding a ton of respect in the
betting markets throughout the course of the off seed.
Speaker 2 (01:07:05):
I'm putting a million on the Knicks to win the
whole thing. My friend, nam Ah.
Speaker 4 (01:07:08):
Well you can. I mean, look, Arnie, if you can
find somebody your frontie that kind of capital to make
that investment more.
Speaker 3 (01:07:14):
Power, Tia, Yeah, don't say no, don't say no to
all right, Todd Furman Bet the Board podcast.
Speaker 4 (01:07:18):
Thanks to see you, Todd, always a pleasure boy.
Speaker 3 (01:07:22):
They're partying in Vegas. They're partying in Vegas. After the Raiders.
I got to improve the two and two.
Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
What I got to move back to Vegas.
Speaker 3 (01:07:32):
I think you're good. I think I don't think you
need to be in Vegas every All right, ladies and gentlemen,
you know him, you love him. Steve de Seger is
in the house with what's trending?
Speaker 2 (01:07:43):
Steve?
Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
What's going on? Steve?
Speaker 5 (01:07:45):
Hello there, and he was talking UNLV football. That program
is four to zero for the first time in its
Division one history and is ranked for the first time
ever tied for twenty fifth. And Friday night on FS one,
it's number twenty five UNLV hosting series ECUs and I
can only assume Syracuse alum Jason Smith will be on
the air during that as their season goes in the
(01:08:06):
tank can't wait. Also on Friday night, Fox TV will
have a game Number six, Oregon host Michigan State. Yeah,
there's six in the country. Alabama is the new number one,
Texas down to number two in ap Ohio state number three,
Tennessee four, and Georgia is down to number five. You
talked about Ole, miss Mississippi fell to number twelve, Utah
(01:08:27):
is down to eighteen, and Louisville fell to number twenty two.
Indiana Hoosiers five and oh in at number twenty three.
Arizona is out down to number twenty six. You see,
it's a top twenty five. Purdue a fired offensive coordinator
Graham Harrel. Perdue had scored just thirty eight points total
in its last three games.
Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
He was due to earn a.
Speaker 5 (01:08:46):
Million dollars this year and a mill next year too
to the NFL. Now you've talked about it earlier, Tonight's
yet again close games. How about ten games so far
this week that we're within one score in the fourth quarter,
and in fact, nine games decided by one score, decided
by eight points or less, including two that had the
(01:09:07):
game winner in the final minutes of regulation. It just
keeps going. So how many games this NFL season so far,
and we're only a month in, have been decided by
eight points or fewer. The answer is thirty nine already,
which is the most such games through Week four of
a season in NFL history. Tonight's not close. At Baltimore,
(01:09:30):
the Ravens beat Buffalo thirty five to ten, Derek Henry
one hundred ninety nine yards rushing and two first half tds.
Washington won at Arizona forty two to fourteen. Brian Robinson
one hundred one yards rushing and a TD. San Francisco
over New England thirty to thirteen. Jordan Mason one hundred
twenty three yards rushing and a TD, and the Vegas
Raiders trailed ten to nothing after the first quarter and
(01:09:52):
still beat Cleveland twenty to sixteen. And yes, there's a
quarterback who's getting another l here. In fact, AP put
up this deats of Deshaun Watson. In his Houston career,
his touchdown to interception ratio was about.
Speaker 3 (01:10:06):
Three to one.
Speaker 5 (01:10:06):
It's half that in his Cleveland career. His quarterback rating
as a Texans QB was over one hundred. In his
Cleveland career, it's under eighty. Kansas City was down ten
to nothing in LA to the Chargers in the first
quarter after two turnovers, but came back to win seventeen
to ten. The Chiefs first four drives today fumble, interception,
(01:10:27):
three and out, three and out, down ten. Nothing doesn't matter.
They always win in the end anyway. In the first quarter,
Kansas City had about forty yards of offense. The Chargers
had over one hundred at the time and double the plays.
But on the Chargers' last five drives of the first half,
get this, seventeen plays minus thirteen yards on their last
(01:10:49):
five drives of the first half, and then they finally
had a very long drive in the second half, almost
eight minutes, and got no points out of it, a
drive that was longer than their previous four drive combined,
and they threw incomplete on fourth and one at the
three got no points, eventually lost by seven. Minnesota is
four and oh after winning at Green Bay thirty one
(01:11:10):
twenty nine. Indianapolis handed Pittsburgh its first loss of the
young season twenty seven to twenty four, and Atlanta won
on a fifty eight yard field goal in the final
seconds twenty six twenty four over New Orleans. To baseball,
most teams ended the regular season today, not the Mets.
They did win five nothing at Milwaukee, and now the
Mets will make the playoffs with one win out of
(01:11:31):
two tomorrow in that makeup doubleheader at Atlanta, which.
Speaker 3 (01:11:35):
Will start my job.
Speaker 2 (01:11:36):
If they don't win one game.
Speaker 5 (01:11:38):
You know, I would say, let's record that, but you
know we were full. The system is full of your
predictions that didn't. Starts at one pm Eastern time. NASCAR
win for Ross Chastain at Kansas, his first victory. This year,
William Byern finished second. The US golfers won the President's
Cup eighteen and a half to eleven and a half
over the international team in Montreal and WNBA semifinal openers.
(01:12:02):
New York defeated Las Vegas Breonna Stewart thirty four points.
Connecticut won at Minnesota tonight.
Speaker 3 (01:12:07):
Back to you, thanks Steve. All right, we'll hit some
of your tweets coming up here in just a bit
at Stinkin Genius one them at Plank Show. Everyone make
sure they go follow us at Fox Sports Radio. I
do want to clean up the mess on Aisle three
from trying to figure out to his return. The NFL
has the rule if you're on injured reserve, you must
miss at least the next four games. Now he has
(01:12:30):
three games to go in that Dolphins play the Titans
and New England over the next two weeks, the Week
six bye, and then the last game in that stretch
is the Colts. So he can't return until after October twenty.
Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
So the buy doesn't count then as a no.
Speaker 3 (01:12:44):
No, it does not, and Mike McDaniel has consistently said
there is no timeline right now for his return. So
when You're like, oh, yeah, he'll be back right after
the bye. No, no, no, one more game after the bye,
So that's that's the earliest he can return. But again,
(01:13:08):
at that, what if you lose your next four games?
What if you're sitting in that situation and not listen.
I think you're gonna win tomorrow night.
Speaker 2 (01:13:16):
But and tonight, if he was the next four game
and we dropped to one and six and I'm own,
the dophins are on the coach or something, I tell
him not to bother to come back. The season's lost,
it's ruined. Why rush him back, No reason to do it.
And he's gonna want to come back to prove that
he's okay, But I'm not so sure I would take
(01:13:37):
him back for the rest of the year.
Speaker 3 (01:13:38):
All right. A couple of quick tweets before we wrap
up our number two. Mister Nobody has been on fire
so far. Tonight, he writes, the only thing missing from
Nick Sirianni being a dead man coaching is having Tom
Hanks walking down the sideline saying dead man coaching is
that bad? Would that? Would that be bad? And then
(01:14:00):
mister Nobody dropped this too, and I missed it earlier,
So I'm sorry. NFL thoughts. Pittsburgh's going twenty four points
and almost coming back at Indies shows justin field should start.
I'm glad the Raiders won, but they so easily could
have lost. Well, that's the NFL. Atlanta still isn't a
great team. They only got by a mediocre Saints team.
(01:14:22):
The Raiders offense thinks the Jets offense is awful? Is
there any reason to fear Dallas who barely got by
an awful Giants team? And Tom Brady might hate on Baker,
but Baker is letting his playing do the talking. I
thought their little post game with each other was good,
and I don't I don't think Tom Brady said anything wrong.
And hey, I thought winning Super Bowls was fun. But
(01:14:44):
I didn't have any problem with that back and forth
at all between mediocres Tom Brader.
Speaker 2 (01:14:49):
Mediocre Saints team. He said, what the what are you talking?
Speaker 3 (01:14:51):
I think that's a good Saints team, dude, I really do.
Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
All of a sudden, they came back down the earth
though real quick, didn't they Well, they lost their last two,
but they it.
Speaker 3 (01:15:00):
He took a By the way, our kickers need to
be drug tested more often like, I'm not kidding. The
Falcons kicker made a fifty eight yarder like it was
a twenty yard the Cowboys. Dude doesn't miss from sixty Like,
what are we doing right now with the kickers? I
was watching McPherson kick for the Bengals, Arnie, there's like
a thirty five yard field goal and he's hitting the
(01:15:21):
top of the net. Would have been good from seventy.
Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
Who hit the sixty three yarder today?
Speaker 3 (01:15:26):
You said, who, oh gosh, well, coup the kicker for
no Falcons the fifty eight yard.
Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
Right, But somebody hit like a sixty two or sixty
three yarder today.
Speaker 3 (01:15:36):
I mean, maybe we need to step up the testing
of these guys. All right, Let's go more in depth
on the kickers and all the fun in the NFL
with Steve the Sager. Next, it's Arnie and Plank on
Fox Sports Radio. Fine night here with Arnie and Plank
on Fox Sports Radio. Let's odd of the Jew Steve
de Sager. What's going on, Steve, Well.
Speaker 5 (01:15:53):
Let's start with the kudos for Sam Darnold and the
Vikings Minnesota for nothing after holding on at Green Bay
thirty one nine. Sam Darnold people is the top rated
passer in the NFL at the moment. Wow Ap points
out that the previous five years or so, he was
dead last in passer rating in the NFL, thirty ninth
(01:16:13):
out of thirty nine quarterbacks. And quarterback Jordan Love did
play this game for the Packers after the knee injury.
Four touchdowns, three interceptions, three hundred eighty nine yards.
Speaker 2 (01:16:22):
Mines does not winning that division anyway, to relax yourself.
Speaker 5 (01:16:25):
YEA another arny prediction.
Speaker 2 (01:16:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:16:27):
Wide receiver Christian Watson left with an ankle injury. The
Packers Jaden Reid's seven catches one hundred thirty nine yards
and a score. And tonight we had dominance, absolute dominance
from Baltimore thirty five to ten over Buffalo Derrick Henry
with the long TD run early. He wound up with
one hundred and ninety nine yards rushing two first half scores.
The Baltimore Ravens as a team have topped one hundred
(01:16:50):
yards rushing for now thirty seven straight games. The NFL
record is forty three straight games, which the Ravens did
a few years ago. Also, the Pittsburgh's Dealers of the
nineteen seventies forty three straight games with at least one
hundred yards rushing as a team this weekend. In fact,
today we had three rookie quarterbacks get victories, including Jaden
(01:17:12):
Daniels of Washington, who you talked about. It's very rare
that in the first month of a season this happens.
It happened Andrew Luck's rookie year that there were three
rookie qbs getting a w the same weekend, and it
happened Dak Prescott's rookie year in twenty sixteen as well.
Jade and daniels completion percentage at this point is eighty
two percent.
Speaker 2 (01:17:32):
Insane. That's insane.
Speaker 5 (01:17:33):
It'soki roughly eighty of one hundred passing. He passes Tom
Brady's NFL record for best completion percentage in your team's
first four games.
Speaker 3 (01:17:44):
Of a season. Wow.
Speaker 5 (01:17:46):
And also he's over two hundred yards rushing in the
four games, so he joins rookie Robert Griffin as the
only quarterbacks in their first four career games in the
Super Bowl area. Why didn't we draft with at least
two hundred yards rushing? Well, Jalen Hurts had another rushing TD.
He's up to forty three career rushing touchdowns in the
regular season, which already ties Steve Young tied for third
(01:18:09):
most by a quarterback in NFL history. And Patrick Mahomes
was down ten nothing, which means nothing to him or
to the Chiefs. You see, Patrick mahomes record in games
when he's down by ten points or more is eighteen
and fourteen. He's the only guy with a winning record.
The rest of the quarterbacks of the Super Bowl era
have a win percentage of one forty nine when they're
(01:18:32):
down ten or more in a game, Mahomes has a
winning record. Even Tom Brady winning percentage of three point
eighty in that situation Joe Montana three seventy winning percentage
Mahomes when he's down double digits five sixty three. Yes,
it is absolutely insane, and his Chiefs just keep winning
close games, including the playoffs. Last season, Kansas City has
(01:18:55):
not only won seven straight games, all of them by
seven points or less, including today, that ties the NFL record,
which the Chiefs had tied in twenty twenty as well.
Jacksonville apparently did that in nineteen ninety six and the Chargers.
As an example of how the Chiefs are dominating this division,
the Chargers all time in home games against the Chiefs
(01:19:16):
have a five hundred record. Now after today's loss, it's
thirty two and thirty two with one tie. But they
haven't won a home game against the Chiefs in over
a decade, since an overtime game in San Diego. They've
lost home games since then to the Chiefs in San
Diego at the Soccer Stadium in La in a so
called home game in Mexico. Every home game they've had
(01:19:37):
at the new Stadium has been a close game and
a loss to the Chiefs. The Chargers are zero to
ten in Southern California last decade against the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (01:19:46):
That is crazy. Good notes, Steve, all Right, when we
come back to the ti rack dot com studios, a
very simple question and some unique answers. After Week four
the NFL season, we'll let you you know what we've learned.
That's coming up next with Arnie and Plank right here
on Fox Sports Radio. Here we go, let's go, we go,
(01:20:09):
Final Hour coming to you live from the tire rack
dot Com studios. Thank you, thank you. Tire rack dot
Com will help you get there and unmatched a selection, fast,
free shipping, free road hazard protection, in over ten thousand
recommended installers tire rack dot com. You know what it is.
It's the way tire buying should be. Uh, did you
(01:20:30):
enjoy Alabama Georgia or were you two into your Arizona
Utah game?
Speaker 2 (01:20:34):
No, the Arizona Utah game in start till ten fifteen
said plenty of time. Yeah, I had plenty of time
to soak in the Alabama Georgia game. And then of
course I had it on the two TVs. But the
ka I mean what I mean Georgia already had started
their comeback and it was just phenomena. It was just
a great game. And you want to talk about instant classic,
that's what it was. I thought Georgia was gonna win
(01:20:56):
that game. When they came back and took the lead,
it was. It was just a lot of fun watch.
That's what college football is all about. Absolutely love that game.
Speaker 3 (01:21:04):
So it did effect I meant to ask Todd about this, Hey,
get Todd back on the phone. It did affect the
betting market quite a bit. And I was a little
bit surprised by this, but maybe I shouldn't be, because
the new leader in the clubhouse for the Heisman Trophy
is Jalen Milroe. Yeah right, the Alabama quarterback went yeah, yeah, La,
(01:21:26):
did you know this? Am? I is this old news?
Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:21:30):
No, okay, Jalen Milroe went from six to one to
four to one. But the second choice now is Travis Hunter.
Of this is according to sports Betting dot Ag, Travis
Hunter went from fifteen to one to five to one.
So Jalen Milroe has supplanted cam Ward as the favorite.
Ward has dropped to about the third choice right now.
(01:21:52):
So it's Jalen Milroe four to one. Travis Hunter went
from fifteen to one to five to one, and cam
Ward is now at six to one.
Speaker 2 (01:22:00):
What about arch Manning? What we're do they have any odds.
Speaker 3 (01:22:02):
Out on the list? S arch Manning is not on
the list. No, he shouldn't be either. Hold on, Oh
I'm sorry, I'm sorry. He's got the same odds as
Noah fafieda get out of here sixty six to one. Wow, guys, yeah, hey.
Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
You know what that that's a pretty good long shot,
especially if he you know, how long he keeps the
job and.
Speaker 3 (01:22:22):
How fun start their next start. I know, I know,
I know. As soon as I think we're all realizing
that we love the name Manning, and he's got a
really bright future in front of him. Yeah, but Quinn
Ewers is a better quarterback. Sorry, not sorry. And this
janty guy from a Boise State, the running back buddy
Ashton Genty if you hadn't had a chance to watch
(01:22:43):
him yet, he is a stud. I know we don't
talk about first round picks his running backs anymore, but
I'm telling you what if I had to need at
running back, I'm sitting in that top ten. But he
looks good. He looks good. And then real quick before
you get back to the NFL. Yeah, did you have
a problem with Alabama moving up to number one one
of the eight people?
Speaker 2 (01:23:01):
No, not at all. I had no problem with that.
After that came absolutely not.
Speaker 3 (01:23:04):
I think we're getting a little bit too knee jerky
in our rankings in college football. I think we need
to chill out. I think we do need to understand
that it goes week by week. True, but I mean
one loss doth not doom you, and one big win
shouldn't elevate you. That was a home win. They took
care of business at home against a pretty good Georgia team.
But I mean, okay, that you're gonna move them on
(01:23:27):
up to one. I guess what I put this out.
Speaker 2 (01:23:30):
That do you feel any less?
Speaker 3 (01:23:35):
What?
Speaker 1 (01:23:36):
Man?
Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
If you're Alabama?
Speaker 3 (01:23:40):
Do I feel home? On Harney? You're getting the breakup.
The radio gods do not like us talking college football apparently,
so do I feel any less wet with Alabama?
Speaker 2 (01:23:49):
I'm just worthy to feel any less that it was
a great win because you blew a big lee in.
Speaker 3 (01:23:56):
Guess I don't. And maybe I'm unique. And I'll be
the first one to tell you if you with me,
I'm not gonna fight you. I get where you wouldn't
feel the same way I do. But to me, that's
an indication of how good Georgia is. Right, you can't
keep a good man down. Alreadie and Georgia just kept
clawing away. Kirby Smart never really panicked, and Alabama made
(01:24:16):
two ridiculous plays. The touchdown catch that. I don't know
what the future odds might look like for a Heisman
Trophy at some point for Ryan Williams, but give me
all the odds there because he looks like he's gonna
get one sooner rather than later. That's one of the
most ridiculous catches I've ever seen, and the corner that
made the game saving or the game ending interception got
(01:24:38):
toasted twice and comes up with the biggest play of
the game. I mean it was. I just think it's
two really, really good football teams. Man, So I was
surprised to see that it came down to the need
and the end zone for a foreign interception to save
the game. Who was at Zabian Brown that made the pick?
Speaker 7 (01:24:57):
That?
Speaker 3 (01:24:58):
Yeah, that was surprising. But I don't think I'm ready
to like give Alabama any grief because they let him
get back in the game.
Speaker 2 (01:25:05):
I didn't think Georgia was going to get back in
the game. I thought maybe they were gonna play maybe
the second half even or something. But I didn't think
they were going to make the run that they made.
Speaker 3 (01:25:14):
No way, all right, So that's some college football if
you guys want to jump into it at Stinking Genius
one at Plank Show or everyone should be following us
at Fox Sports.
Speaker 2 (01:25:22):
Right by the way, you grats to your Oklahoma team.
Speaker 3 (01:25:24):
That was.
Speaker 2 (01:25:25):
I was watching that game. What a good victory that was.
Speaker 3 (01:25:27):
Still don't know how they won the game. Still have
no idea how they won the football game. I said
it my entire flight home. I did a show with
her buddy Tom Lougan Bill today from over on the
ACC Network covers ESPN covers college football for ESPN. I
think every single time we had a break, I looked
at him and said, I don't know how Oklahoma won
that game. I think you could probably ask both Iowa
(01:25:49):
Sam and Patrick Sweegar, producer. I've probably said it about
ten times tonight during the show, Arnie, I have no
idea how Oklahoma won that football game. Only six guys
registered an offensive stat Wow, starting quarterback, one running back
and four receivers. That's it. How How if I'm an
(01:26:10):
Auburn fan, I am irate today. And by the way,
since you brought it up, tip of the cap to
Jordan Air Stadium. And by the way, it's not Jordan Hare,
it's Jordanair. Did you know this? Yeah? Uh, it's what
a setting, what a place. I've never been there. Yeah, oh, buddy,
when that eagle flies, I'm telling you what you just
(01:26:31):
you're feeling some sort of way. You feeling some sort
of way. Now they do some weird ass stuff. I
can't think of any other way to put it. There's
a little bit of Texas A and M. They got
some beefed up cheerleader that goes out to the middle
of the field and start goes weigle weagle eagle sis
boom ba kiss boom ba. Hit him in the head
(01:26:52):
and I'm like, what the hell is going on right now?
I have no idea what's happening. So it's a little
bit of a different world, but it's awesome. It's it's
one of the loudest environments I've ever been in my life. Wow. Man,
they're good. That's a good football team. They're gonna win
some games this year, but they just can't get out
of their own way. So thank you Auburn. What an
awesome experience. Red River rivalry here in a couple of weeks. Boys,
(01:27:13):
let's go. Let's go. We're gonna beat Texas, take down
the Long Wrns. All right, back to the NFL before
Shady show. That's enough for college I'm sorry, Shady Sean
Ford twenty. You can find us on Twitter. All right, Arnie,
after week four, I know this, after week four the
NFL season, knowing would still have two games, I know this.
Where do you want to start? What you learn? What
you know?
Speaker 2 (01:27:34):
What you got, you know, and I'll start things off
now that after week four, now, right, so we're no, we're.
Speaker 3 (01:27:40):
Yeah, after we got two games left in week four?
Speaker 2 (01:27:42):
Yeah, wow, jeseus, they're starting to fly on by. I'm
starting to get a little bit nervous. But after week four,
and I didn't even have to wait till week four
to know this. The Jets are not a very good team.
All these people have thought the Jets we're gonna win
the division. And Aaron Rodgers is coming back. It's a
bunch of boloney. Aaron Rodgers has no more mobility than
I do. Right now, he just looks dead in the pocket.
(01:28:06):
He was horrible today, really, he was absolutely horrible. And
I know the Broncos have a good defense, but it
was just a miserable game. And the Judges are not
a very good team. They'll be lucky just to stay
ahead of the Patriots. So we're in the Dolwings, fall
in that Dolphins. Hopefully we will finish in second in
that division.
Speaker 3 (01:28:25):
Are you sure about that?
Speaker 2 (01:28:27):
I'm hoping, Okay, I'm with now yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:28:33):
After week four, Well, you're really putting a lot on
old Snoop Honley here tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (01:28:37):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:28:39):
The Ravens are back. I know that this is a
little bit premature, but welcome to the knee jerk that
is Sunday Night with Arnine Plank.
Speaker 4 (01:28:46):
Right.
Speaker 3 (01:28:46):
That was impressive tonight, and not just in that they
beat the Bills by what would that be four scores,
four scores and twenty five points ago, but the way
that they started realizing, oh, yeah, Dereck Henry is on
our team. Let's feed him the football. Twenty four carries tonight,
one hundred and ninety nine yards. He averaged eight point
(01:29:08):
three yards per carry. Of course, it's helped by the
eighty seven yard touchdown run. They took a lot of
the load off of Lamar Jackson. And you know, it's
kind of funny they they haven't really been utilizing Mark
Andrews very much. He didn't have a catch tonight, and
it almost seems like Isaiah likely has become their go
to tight end, but he only had one catch tonight.
(01:29:29):
I mean, let's see receivers receivers tonight for the Ravens.
Rashad Bateman's eight flowers and Nelson Aguilar had four combined
catches before them between him. Excuse me, they were using
Justice Hill out of the backfield and Derrick Henry. Of
the fourteen completions for Lamar Jackson tonight, Arnie, nine of
(01:29:51):
them went to running backs. They didn't have to force anything,
and it was almost too easy. And it was too easy,
So I get it. They fell to that juggernaut that
is the Las Vegas Raiders in week two. It's gonna happen,
but they have to win over the Cowboys. Last week
they roll the Bills. I think they're gonna smoke Cincinnati
next week, and I think it's gonna set up a
(01:30:12):
huge matchup against Washington in Baltimore here in a couple
of weeks. So get me back on the Ravens train
after week four.
Speaker 6 (01:30:20):
I know this.
Speaker 3 (01:30:21):
Baltimore's back, baby.
Speaker 2 (01:30:23):
Oh geez, you want to you want to go ahead
and get on the train after week before. I know this.
The Minnesota Viking bandwagon is just about full. I was
saying when the singer was doing the update, It's like, oh,
they're not gonna win the divisions, a lady, no cowboy
drew the Vikings will win the division. Put a cork
back in the bottle or that you're drunk?
Speaker 3 (01:30:43):
Are you drunk?
Speaker 2 (01:30:44):
Roger No, Roger the engineer, the Sega said it all.
Couldn't have done better myself, yell at them plank Lol.
Speaker 3 (01:30:52):
Well he's talking about the Chiefs. That's not even about
the Vikings.
Speaker 2 (01:30:54):
Oh I thought that was about the I thought that
was about the Vikings.
Speaker 3 (01:30:57):
No, Roger the engineer only knows how to tweet about
the Chiefs, and probably whenever you say anything bad about it.
Speaker 2 (01:31:01):
Well, just all these Viking fans really pumped the break.
You're not the Purple People leaders. You're not being run
by fran Tarkington. You know, you don't have some of
those great Viking teams. I went to the Super Bowl.
You have a great team. It's a great story. But uh,
you know, ten and seven, hope for something like that.
(01:31:21):
Just relax, ten and seven it would be pretty good.
I think for Minnesota.
Speaker 3 (01:31:27):
They're four and oh right now, I'd be happy with that.
Blank they're over under was six and a half. And
you're like, oh, just be happy with ten and seven. Yeah,
that would beat there over and under by over under
by what almost four full games. Yeah, they probably win
their division at ten and seven.
Speaker 2 (01:31:42):
No, the Lions will win the division if they go ten.
If the Vikings go ten and seven.
Speaker 3 (01:31:48):
I mean, have you watched Minnesota?
Speaker 2 (01:31:51):
Yeah, watch Minnesota. I'm not buying into Sam Darnold's an
MVP contender right now. Right now, he is, but I
don't think he's gonna keep it up.
Speaker 3 (01:31:59):
Well, hey, hold on, let me just pause for a moment.
You're not buying into Sam Darnold being an MVP contender,
and then you follow he's in the MVP conversation.
Speaker 2 (01:32:07):
Right now, but he's not going to be there at
the end of the year.
Speaker 3 (01:32:11):
It's hard to buy into. It's because of what we've
seen from Sam Darnald. I think they're a very good
defensive football team. Today. The Packers were able to get
some points on him, but they've shut down arguably the
best offense in the NFL some people's eyes in the
Texans they held the forty nine ers at Bay. I
think they're more complete than you're giving them credit for.
(01:32:34):
I think Sam Donald's I'm not here to say resurrection season.
I'm not here to say that when JJ McCarthy gets healthy,
it doesn't matter, because he's the guy, and I just
think he's in a really good spot. He's a he's
a good talent. What did you say they're over on
the total situating his strength six and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:32:51):
Sixth there was a reason why they were a six
and a half before the season.
Speaker 3 (01:32:56):
Well, I mean, do you want to go back historically
about teams that Vegas has missed on? Go look what
the Texans was before last year. I mean, I know
that you live and die by those numbers, but they're
not always right. Listen, I'm not trying to tell you
they're going to the super Bowl, right because you like
to take this to the most extreme of extremes. I
think they're pretty good, man, I think I think ten
(01:33:18):
and seven is a hell of a season for them.
But it won't surprise me to see them win eleven
or twelve games this year. I mean, Arnie, they played
the Jets next week. Who do you think wins that game? Okay,
where's that game at? It's overseas. It's an eight thirty
am kick.
Speaker 2 (01:33:32):
Okay, so they probably beat the Jets. I'll give you that.
Speaker 3 (01:33:34):
So all right, So I'll just allow them to lose
five minutes. Oh geezl right, so that's five and oh
and then they Okay, so the Lions the next week, Well,
I'll just give you the two losses to the lines
when they play them.
Speaker 2 (01:33:45):
Okay, okay, they go to the Rams, Oh, that could
be a win.
Speaker 3 (01:33:49):
Six and two. They played the Colts at home.
Speaker 2 (01:33:53):
Just did they run out their own sketch?
Speaker 3 (01:33:55):
They go to Jacksonville, Tennessee and the Bears in three
straight weeks. Arnie, look at the schedule.
Speaker 2 (01:34:00):
That's the easiest schedule in the history of football.
Speaker 3 (01:34:04):
Oh my god, I'm not trying to tell you. And oh,
by the way, when they get done with that stretch
of road games against Jacksonville, Tennessee and the Bears, they
get the Arizona Cardinals at home.
Speaker 2 (01:34:14):
So do they play any winning teams or that doesn't
happen anymore?
Speaker 3 (01:34:19):
They well, I mean I just mentioned the Lions. Yeah,
they got the Lions a couple times. But they play
the Lions at home in two weeks, and they get
the bye week before they play them, and then they
don't play them against to the end of the season.
By the way, they just beat Green Bay in Green
Bay today. When Jordan Love came back. God, I like
him a lot. All right, one more for me here
(01:34:39):
real quick before we grab a break, and we'll get
to your tweets. I know that I know that no
one wants to hear this. I know I get it
because I'm like the only one that's still in the bandwagon.
And that's fine. But don't look now after week four,
Caleb William's starting to put some things together.
Speaker 2 (01:34:55):
You like you're feeling good now, are you?
Speaker 3 (01:34:57):
Caleb Williams starting to put some things together now. I know,
seventeen of twenty three for one hundred and fifty seven
yards is not going to justify being the number one
pick in the draft. And I get it that everything
that Jane Daniels does is the most amazing thing anyone's
ever seen because it's been that good. And I agree,
but slowly, but Shirley, Caleb's putting some things together. The
(01:35:18):
Bears could run the football today. DeAndre Swift looked really good.
They used him a little bit more as a receiver.
He had seven catches. I know he missed on some throws,
two really bad misses by Caleb Williams today, But I
think he's knocking on the door of starting to make
that turn to where the Bears can start unleashing him,
or at least not having him run around and losing
ten yards on a sack.
Speaker 2 (01:35:39):
What a dog fight. That division's gonna be huh when
you mention how easy schedule that Vikings have it than
going Detroit, Green Bay Chicago in Green Bay Chicago two
and two. Chicago's no pushover either. So I'll be interesting
see how far they'll go this year. That's that's gonna
be a great dog fight in that one.
Speaker 3 (01:35:57):
All right, at Stinking Genius one at Plank show after
week four, we know this. Let's dive into it next
right here on Fox Sports Radio. All right, it's Arnie
and Plank. Don't forget, don't you forget? Then as soon
as we wrap up, our podcast will be posted. So
if you missed any of tonight's show, check out the pod.
Search Fox Sports Radio however you get your podcasts, and
(01:36:20):
be sure to follow rate review say something nice about
Arnie by simply searching Fox Sports Radio wherever you get
your podcasts, and you'll see the show posted right after
we get off the air. All right, with some tweets, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:36:34):
We're getting a lot of them. We got to get
to some of them. They are a bunch out there.
Speaker 3 (01:36:37):
Eric wrightes Arnie just as sure that my Vikings will
win the NFC North by staying off the wagon hashtag
thank you Arnie. The Vike's hard part of the schedule
was weeks two through five. Again, I'm not sold on Sam,
but he's looked pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:36:53):
He looked fantastic. I mean, you couldn't have had a
better filling than what he's doing right now. Right, it's amazing. No, No,
not at all, Calbert at that damn bear. Ever notice
that when the AFS ever noticed when the AFC South
that are on the schedule for Monday Night football, they
add a second game that night Jaguars Titans, Hay NFL
(01:37:16):
just flex the AFC South out of prime time. Yeah,
I hate watching the AFC South.
Speaker 3 (01:37:21):
You gotta watch them tomorrow night.
Speaker 2 (01:37:22):
Yeah, I'm not. I don't know. That's the one division
I really don't get too crazy about watching.
Speaker 3 (01:37:27):
All right, here's Colin who writes he gets the show
after week four. I know this new season, same old
Packers defense. They may actually improve, but after ten years
of drafting defense, maybe they should draft offensive weapons in
the first round like Aaron Rodgers wanted.
Speaker 2 (01:37:46):
Wow, sticking up for Rogers in this one one losson
You're about to fall apart, Jordan Love.
Speaker 3 (01:37:51):
I went to this year, right, Yeah, that's right. Do
we have a quarterback controversy?
Speaker 1 (01:37:57):
In what.
Speaker 3 (01:37:59):
Is my WILLI is the guy now? In fairness? In fairness,
they drafted Jordan Morgan in the first round this year.
He was an offensive lineman. But outside of Jordan Love
in twenty twenty. Do you know the last time that
the Green Bay Packers drafted an offensive player in the
first round of the NFL draft? Arny?
Speaker 2 (01:38:17):
Was it gonna be like a decade or something?
Speaker 3 (01:38:20):
It was Jordy Nelson in two thousand and eight, Jordy
Nelson in Oa wide receiver, Jordan Love in twenty twenty,
and of course this year, an offensive lineman in Jordan Morgan.
So I think it's fair to say that it's been
a minute. Uh, Julian Right, I'm an Arizona fan, but
I'm going to tell you one thing right now. As
(01:38:40):
a quarterback, you can run it all you want, but
it's too easy for defenses to catch.
Speaker 1 (01:38:45):
On to that.
Speaker 3 (01:38:46):
Once they do, you're doomed. The Arizona Cardinals are not
going anywhere this year.
Speaker 2 (01:38:52):
Murray start though, right, Yeah, I'm still a Murray fan though,
you know what I mean? And after I saw the
Bills game, what was at the first game of the
year than who they the second game. I still think
they're a better team than they're showing right now, So
I hope they turn it around.
Speaker 3 (01:39:07):
Josh Wright, the Eagles should be zero to four. Also
looks like Baker and the Bucks going back to the playoffs,
while the Browns drafting top ten with a quarterback they
can't move on for years.
Speaker 2 (01:39:19):
I don't know about oh and four, but one and
three definitely.
Speaker 3 (01:39:22):
And yeah, they could be is what he's saying. Not
that way, are they? They could be one right?
Speaker 2 (01:39:27):
Right? Well, we're not making that more of a story
than we should really, because the Eagles, I mean, they
could really be in disarrayed. Could you imagine what they
saying in local radio about the Eagles. They're probably just
tearing them apart, I mean, absolutely just destroying them right now.
Speaker 3 (01:39:42):
Yeah. And by the way, I misspoke earlier our bye weeks,
aren't he actually start this week in the Yeah, I
thought it wasn't for two more weeks, but our first
set of buys comes after this week. So in week five,
next week you got the Lions, the Titans, the Chargers,
(01:40:02):
and the Eagles. This is what Nick Sirianni had to
say after the game after the loss about trying to
fix things for the Eagles.
Speaker 7 (01:40:09):
I just didn't think our details and fundamentals were, you know,
up to our par up to our standard. And again,
when that happens, you got to look at yourself in
the mirror first. And I'm at myself in the mirror first.
Are we doing the right things at practice? Are we
doing the right drills? Are we doing like so we'll
do a deep dive into not only scheme this upcoming week,
(01:40:31):
sending it too and two.
Speaker 3 (01:40:32):
At the Buye. I was listening to that cut during
the break getting ready for this segment, and I had
one of those moments where I thought, oh my gosh,
they're going to crucify him because he's talking about the
buye in like two weeks, and I was like, oh,
go go this week. I don't like Sirianni that much.
Speaker 2 (01:40:51):
They may be the third best team in that division
right now.
Speaker 3 (01:40:54):
Well, you're in love with Washington after a couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:40:57):
How could you not watch it's gonna win that division?
How could you not think that?
Speaker 3 (01:41:01):
Well, that's that's quite the leap from a team. What
do you think the Commander's over under was to start
the season five and a half six, you're going five
and a half for six? Yeah, the over under win
total was actually six and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:41:14):
Okay, so I was off fire.
Speaker 3 (01:41:16):
Yeah, yeah, no, that's not too bad. Some places had
it seven and a half, so that seems to be
rather significant. Vegas Insider had some places with him at
seven and a half. Maybe they saw that schedule. But now,
what do they adjust over unders as the season progresses?
Speaker 2 (01:41:33):
No, no, you can't do that.
Speaker 3 (01:41:35):
So well maybe Draft Kings right now has it like
Draft Kings has it at nine and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:41:40):
Oh really, so you can still bet the overrun the
win totals for that.
Speaker 3 (01:41:44):
Yeah. In fact, there is Theirs and the Saints have
been adjusted, as has your Seahawks Patrick to nine and
a half.
Speaker 2 (01:41:52):
They adjust Miami's at all because of the to a thing.
Speaker 3 (01:41:55):
Yeah, they gave him more wins, not kiddings, where I
actually believe you for one second? Play?
Speaker 2 (01:42:01):
Yeah, well, like, what what's going on?
Speaker 3 (01:42:04):
I know what's right here in front of my face?
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, it has been adjusted, Arnie. You
want to guess what it is.
Speaker 2 (01:42:09):
Before the year, it was ten ten and a half,
ten right right, right now?
Speaker 3 (01:42:16):
Nine and a half seven and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:42:18):
Oh, get out of you here. They're killing me.
Speaker 3 (01:42:21):
This is Vegas. And again this is twenty four to
twenty five.
Speaker 2 (01:42:24):
That's three games.
Speaker 3 (01:42:25):
The Chiefs are now at thirteen and a half at FanDuel,
Holy smokes. And the vik When I say the Vikings
was preseason six and a half six half?
Speaker 2 (01:42:35):
Right? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:42:36):
Eleven and a half?
Speaker 6 (01:42:37):
Right now?
Speaker 3 (01:42:38):
Whoa?
Speaker 1 (01:42:40):
Whoa?
Speaker 3 (01:42:42):
How about that?
Speaker 2 (01:42:42):
Huh?
Speaker 3 (01:42:43):
Don't jump on the don't jump are he pay off
the bandwagon?
Speaker 1 (01:42:47):
Know what?
Speaker 2 (01:42:47):
I the purple people eaters? What's going on here?
Speaker 3 (01:42:50):
That's pretty wild, man. I just I was looking at
these numbers.
Speaker 2 (01:42:54):
That's why I said the ten and seven would be
good to be under eleven.
Speaker 3 (01:42:57):
A couple of other quick ones. Cameron rites the Dallas
season's about to be ov er over next week. Just
glad we don't have to hear from the Cowgirls.
Speaker 2 (01:43:06):
Who do they play next week? Or do the Cowboys play? Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:43:09):
The cow You know what? It's so funny that I
actually have next week's schedule up right in front of
me right now. They played Pittsburgh. They're the Sunday night
football game. Your primetime games next week? You have Thursday
night football is Tampa Bay at Atlanta. That'll be a
good one. You get the Tottenham Hot Spur showdown. That's
in London. The Waken Bake Special had a friend call
at that. Don't know what that means. That's nine thirty
(01:43:31):
am Eastern time for the Jets and the Vikings on Sunday.
Next Sunday Night is the Cowboys and the Steelers, and
your Monday Night football is a good one. New Orleans
at Kansas City. Oh wow, jeez, that's Kansas City is
a five point favorite in that game. Wow. All right,
let's get to Sega in here for one final time tonight.
They'll hit some more postgame audio, more of your tweets
(01:43:52):
and Arnie's picks right around the corner. What's going on, Steve?
Speaker 2 (01:43:54):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (01:43:55):
You mentioned Atlanta. We cannot let this pass last weekend
Rams fans. The next we're saying, I don't know how
we won that game against San Francisco. Tomorrow, Saints fans
have to be saying, I don't know how we lost
that game at Atlanta. New Orleans had taken the lead
with a minute left, Alvin Kamara one yard touchdown. You
mentioned earlier, Taysom Hill had a couple of touchdown runs today,
(01:44:17):
but Atlanta wins twenty six to twenty four on a
fifty eight yard field goal in the final seconds. Young
Waiku went four for four on field goals. He made
a fifty three yarder as well.
Speaker 3 (01:44:27):
But there's this.
Speaker 5 (01:44:28):
The offense didn't have a single touchdown and they won
twenty six to twenty four. In the first half, they
had a touchdown on a muff punt recovery in the
end zone. A touchdown on a pick six.
Speaker 2 (01:44:40):
That doesn't happen a lot either, a muff putt in
the end zone.
Speaker 5 (01:44:43):
This is what doesn't happen a lot. Saints, you score
at least twenty four points, your opposition has zero tds,
and you still lose the game.
Speaker 2 (01:44:55):
Geez.
Speaker 5 (01:44:55):
The win loss record since nineteen forty eight in that
scenario one thousand and one, twenty two and three. The
third such loss was today, jeez, the Saints losing twenty
six twenty four to the Falcons, and amazingly, about forty
years ago. The last time this happened, it was the
(01:45:17):
Saints losing twenty six twenty four to the Rams December
of nineteen eighty three. How Wow, how did this happen.
The other how did this happen is how did the
Denver Broncos win a gate? Because ten nine was the
final at the Jets while bo Nicks twelve of twenty
five passing had sixty yards through the air six zero
(01:45:40):
but one good drive is all it took. But if
you look at the receiving numbers, Courtland Sutton had the
sixty yards and the touchdown. The other nine receivers he
threw to combined for zero yards receiving.
Speaker 2 (01:45:55):
My guard him, just guard Sutton, just guard him.
Speaker 5 (01:45:58):
No receiving yards. The other sixteen targets from bow Niggs.
That is incomprehensible. And then you have Derrick Henry. It's
getting to be incomprehensible. With the early long run. He
had a monster game again. Baltimore beat Buffalo thirty five
to ten, Henry one hundred and ninety nine yards rushing
(01:46:19):
two first half scores. In his career, Derrick Henry has
now rushed for at least one hundred eighty yards in
a game including playoffs, eleven times. That is the most
by any back in the history of the NFL. And
by the way, Lamar Jackson had two touchdown passes and
a touchdown run. Washington won its third straight forty two
(01:46:39):
to fourteen at Arizona. Jaden Daniels, who played at Arizona State,
had a touchdown run, touchdown pass, two point pass. San
Francisco was out to a twenty tonzhing lead on New
England just before halftime thirty to thirteen. The final New
England twelve drives, twelve first downs. Cleveland is one in
three lost at Las Vegas, blowing an early ten to
(01:46:59):
nothing lead twenty to sixteen Raiders. The final thing is
Cleveland missed an extra point kick early fourth quarter, so
it needed a touchdown at the end, not a field goal,
and they were stopped stopped inside the Las Vegas ten
in the final minute. Chiefs trailed ten to nothing in
the first quarter after a couple early turnovers, and beat
the Chargers anyway in La seventeen to ten. Travis Kelsey
(01:47:21):
was discovered seven receptions eighty nine yards, Xavier Worthy of
fifty four yard touchdown catch sadly wide receiver Rashi Rice.
The Chiefs left with what looks like a serious knee injury.
Kansas City is four and oh. The rest of the
Division two and two four and oh record for the
Vikings and Sam Darnold Minnesota held on at Green Bay
(01:47:42):
thirty one twenty nine. Indianapolis over Pittsburgh twenty seven to
twenty four. Justin Fields over three hundred yards passing one touchdown,
but he was sacked four times and had a fumble
as well. Tampa Bay thirty three sixteen over Philadelphia Buckser
three and one, Baker Mayfield three hundred and forty seven
yards passing two scores Houston three and one. After beating
(01:48:03):
Jacksonville twenty four to twenty, Trevor Lawrence has lost nine
straight starts, now the only number one picks at quarterback
to lose more in a row since the merger. Well,
if you guys have lost ten in a row, Troy
Aikman has the record eleven in a row. But I
will point out that was his rookie year when the
Cowboys were awful. I'm not saying Jacksonville's not awful, but
(01:48:23):
this isn't his rookie year, Trevor Lawrence. Nico Collins in
the win at Houston twelve catches one hundred and fifty
one yards in a score Rams one and three. After
losing at Chicago twenty four eighteen and Cincinnati won and three.
After the victory at Carolina thirty four to twenty four,
Panthers record one and three. Alabama's the new number one
in the AP College Football Poll. Texas down to number two.
(01:48:46):
NASCAR win for Ross Chastain, US golfers won the President's Cup.
Major League Baseball regular season ended for most today. Houston
at Cleveland was canceled by rain. They waited out a
three hour delay and say, oh, forget it.
Speaker 3 (01:48:59):
They're both going on the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (01:49:00):
Who cares?
Speaker 5 (01:49:01):
The bad news is Jose Ramirez finishes with thirty nine
home runs and forty one steals for Cleveland this year.
Arizona one. It had lost five of six. It's just
about out of the playoffs, but not officially. They will
only make the playoffs if there's a sweep on Monday
and that Mets at Braves doubleheader. If they split that doubleheader,
the Mets and Braves each advance. So that's the great
(01:49:23):
news for the Mets because they won today five nothing
at Milwaukee. They'll make up the two at Atlanta tomorrow
starting at one pm Eastern time. Also good news Francisco Lindor,
who had a back injury homer and two steals today.
Francisco Alvarez, who had a back injury, two RBIs today
for the Mets sweep the doubleheader. On Monday, you go
to San Diego for this week's Wildcard best of three.
(01:49:45):
Win one of the two. Tomorrow you go to Milwaukee.
If the Mets lose both games on Monday, they are
out back to you.
Speaker 3 (01:49:54):
Thanks, Steve. Have a great week, buddy, great week. As
we come here, Thetirack dot Com Studios fun showed in Arnie.
I'm a little disappointed though. Yeah, in the Roman Numeral
Rundown Part two, you ready, how could you not have
wanted to talk about the latest twist in where Tom
Brady almost landed. I saw that.
Speaker 2 (01:50:13):
I don't know if you want to bring that up.
Speaker 3 (01:50:14):
Go ahead, real quick, real quick. This is from the
Fox broadcast today.
Speaker 4 (01:50:18):
Everyone always thinks it's just about the money, but you
were showing this this last night and I thought.
Speaker 3 (01:50:22):
It was so cool. It's how you made your choice.
So I brought I brought these.
Speaker 6 (01:50:26):
I saw him at the house and I said, you know,
I'm bringing these to show KB. And there was a
lot of reasons to choose Tampa, and I made about
eighteen criteria why and there was things all the way
from the salary obviously, to the weather, to the facilities,
to the how great the players were. Ultimately, Chicago was
a team and I never told that story before. They
were very stealth in their recruitment. I was seriously considering,
(01:50:47):
but in the end, it came down to Tampa and
it was close to my son Jack.
Speaker 3 (01:50:52):
I love brut Okay, now you get Chicago being in
the mix for Tom Brady.
Speaker 2 (01:50:57):
Could you imagine that? How awesome would that have been?
Speaker 3 (01:51:00):
I mean I almost feel like that's rubbing it in
a little bit, you know, because Chicago has always felt
like they were what owned by Aaron Rodgers exact. I
own this city, I own this stadium, but I mean
Bears haven't. Really. We'll see what Caleb Williams becomes, and
(01:51:21):
he's he had a better game today. But let's go
back and just think about in twenty twenty, instead of
going to Tampa where he won the Super Bowl by
the way, right, you end up in Chicago.
Speaker 2 (01:51:35):
And then one with the Bears. I've done after Tom
Brady left.
Speaker 3 (01:51:38):
Oh I know, right just by the way too. For
little reference, that was a Bears team that finished eight
to eight that season and made the playoffs, So you know,
not Sam, just saying something worth keeping a little bit
of an eye on. And the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that year,
they didn't even win their division. They made the playoffs
as a wild card team before they went on and
(01:52:00):
won the Super Bowl. But just a little little butterfly
effect from earlier today, I right a couple of other
quick tweets before we get Arnie's picks in here and
before we get out of here. All right, how about
this one from ken as probably the lone Jaguars fan here.
I gotta say that the Jags need to fire coach
Doug Peterson and his staff immediately, especially after he threw
(01:52:24):
all the players under the bus in the press conference today.
Jackuars need to make a change.
Speaker 2 (01:52:29):
They should have beat Miami. That could have been their
only win right at that point. Trevor Lawrence is going
through a bad losing streak. I feel for the guy,
great guy, but his numbers are not as good as
people make it out. To me though, I equivalent to
Daniel Jones, So I don't know what they're gonna do
forward from here on out.
Speaker 3 (01:52:48):
Paul writes Robert Saler is my favorite NFL head coach
and I hope the Jets never fire him. That's a
Bills fan.
Speaker 2 (01:52:54):
I was gonna say that, you must not be a judge.
Speaker 3 (01:52:58):
Vikings next week will send Aaron Rodgers back to whatever
meditation lodge he needs to go to. Hey, there's some
we mentioned the Jets of the Vikings. That's overseas. That's
in London, Miami, and New England next week. The battle
for last place. How about Buffalo at Houston next week, Arnie,
that's a fun one though. Here's what's wild. The afternoon
(01:53:20):
window that they talked about trying to make better this year, Yeah,
continues to suck. I mean, my team's playing, so I
love the fact that the Raiders and the Broncos are there.
But here's your four afternoon games next week. Raiders at
Broncos two two and two teams, Arizona at San Francisco,
Green Bay at the Rams, and the Giants at the Seahawks.
Speaker 2 (01:53:43):
Oh ge loving to write home about in that one?
Speaker 3 (01:53:46):
Did I just try to build up this weekend schedule
a little bit to you. Hey, wait next week and
whenever we're all taking a nap in the afternoon and
we got a Monday night football double header that we
need to talk about when we come back. So let's
get our final break. Ben Maloris Stan standing by the
green room to take over for us. But first, it's
what you all came for tonight. Arnie's picture next on
(01:54:06):
Fox Sports Radio. You know what, Arnie, I know you
are all about remembering legends when they pass. Yes, Chris
Christofferson passed away.
Speaker 2 (01:54:17):
I didn't know he wrote this song, to be honest
with you, I.
Speaker 3 (01:54:19):
Didn't know it either until Iowa Sam told us during
the break. He was eighty eight years of age. Incredible
performer singer songwriter Rip at the age of eighty eight
years old. Nice Me and Bobby McGhee also wrote Sunday
Morning coming Down for the Good Times helped me make
it through the night. All ended up being hits for
(01:54:42):
other artists. He was a highwayman. He was awesome. Rip, Chris,
you know what has passed away? Oh God, don't do this,
Please don't do this. I don't remember.
Speaker 2 (01:54:53):
Yeah, I don't remember his name, but he was in
the movie with Eddie Murphy.
Speaker 3 (01:55:02):
Eddie. Eddie Murphy was in a lot of movies, Arenie.
Speaker 2 (01:55:06):
Yeah, I did the one where he.
Speaker 3 (01:55:08):
Oh gosh that his equipment is s in the bed
Cot Hills cop.
Speaker 2 (01:55:13):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 3 (01:55:14):
Now? Yeah, you're back, Eddie. I googled John Ashton, seventy
six years of ague.
Speaker 2 (01:55:21):
Yeah, he was one of the other police, of the
other cops.
Speaker 3 (01:55:23):
So he was. He was good. He was. And by
the way, apparently he's in the new axel F that's
gonna premiere on Netflix. Pass away at the age of
seventy six. Look, it took me one quick Google search.
You're telling me you couldn't do that before you started
trying to say who the guy's name was.
Speaker 2 (01:55:39):
No, I could do that.
Speaker 3 (01:55:40):
I was busy, yeah, busy putting together these picks. Yeah,
take it away, stinking genius. So what everyone came for tonight?
What you got in picks that are probably not going
to hit.
Speaker 2 (01:55:50):
I'm a little bit back on track. College. I went
six and four, so I'm now twenty five and thirty
five pick it in forty one and a half percent.
And in the pros I went five and four with
Miami still to come, and I'm seventeen to twenty four
picking at forty one and a half percent. How about that?
Speaker 3 (01:56:10):
That's not good?
Speaker 2 (01:56:11):
Consistent though, I'm gonna take Miami leighing one against the
Titans tomorrow, and I love Detroit minus four against Seattle
College on Saturday. I woulda take Minnesota plus nine and
a half against USC. Love my Arizona Wildcats to beat
de Vry and lay the four and a half. Who
(01:56:33):
do they play, Chris, Technical Middle now Texas Technical College
or something something like that. We should kick the crap
out of them, right, And I'm gonna take Washington minus
two against Michigan. The Mets get a split tomorrow. They
lose the first game, they would in the second because
(01:56:54):
they'll pitch some bub in the second game and the
Mets will bat them around. And my Dodgers we'll win
the World Series. Chris, how about that?
Speaker 3 (01:57:03):
Well, that just kind of ruins my October.
Speaker 2 (01:57:07):
No, no, no, that's my team, dude. So there you
have my picks. Do with them as you please, no
longer strictly for entertainment purposes only.
Speaker 3 (01:57:16):
What makes the Dodgers your team?
Speaker 2 (01:57:20):
Well? I lived in LA for a long time.
Speaker 3 (01:57:22):
Right, But you've been rooting for the Mets until I
don't know. You don't think they're gonna make the playoff?
Speaker 7 (01:57:29):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:57:29):
No, you think they're gonna make the playoffs tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (01:57:31):
Yeah, they'll win this. They'll lose the first game, they'll
win the second game. That's what will happen there. Because Schwarnbeck,
I think it's pitching, and he collaborat us. Last time
we played well, fair.
Speaker 3 (01:57:43):
Enough, good luck.
Speaker 1 (01:57:44):
I am.
Speaker 3 (01:57:45):
I kind of root for an absolute implosion where a
team gets swept tomorrow just to let the Diamondbacks get
in the playoffs and then beat the Dodgers, which will
bring again, all right, a couple of other quick tweets
before we get out of here, Brad and law wages rights.
How can you really have any confidence in Buffalo or
any team right now in the NFL? In the days
(01:58:07):
of the Patriots beating teams by double digits and almost
being perfect, they're over. My question is, do you guys
think that is somehow planned or plotted? Is there a
script to the NFL seasoning stop?
Speaker 2 (01:58:21):
Its script? It's just more parody than ever now than
ever before. There's except Kansas City's winning games.
Speaker 3 (01:58:28):
Lady's good.
Speaker 2 (01:58:29):
They're winning within one score, so that's eventually going to
come back and bite them in the ass.
Speaker 3 (01:58:34):
Ahead of News Rights, KC matches the nineteen eighty eight
Super Bowl Cincinnati Bengals with four wins by seven points
or less open season. That wasn't pretty today, right? I
mean that. I don't care how big of a fan
you are or aren't of the Chiefs or the Chargers.
(01:58:57):
It just wasn't a good game.
Speaker 2 (01:58:58):
Hey, Mahomes is not playing. Mahomes is like football, He
really isn't. He looks very average, to be honest.
Speaker 3 (01:59:04):
With you, Yeah, he's But again, they're still winning football games,
and that's the biggest problem. That's the biggest problem. I'm
not going to say I'm sold on Darnold or Baker
rights Eric, but do these guys performance so far in
twenty twenty four give some hope for the Panthers quarterback
in the future. Maybe Bryce Young just needs a different program,
(01:59:25):
a better fit for his talent. Could it be Bryce
Young just needs a new place to play.
Speaker 2 (01:59:31):
Grass is not always greener, but he he needs to
go find some place to play. There's he has to
go somewhere else.
Speaker 3 (01:59:37):
And Cam Right's Flacco's gonna lead the Colts to the
Super Bowl can't possibly sound any worse than Arnie's Dolphins takes,
can it?
Speaker 2 (01:59:45):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:59:47):
Arnie have a great week Buddy you too crowd, big
Ben Malors coming up next. We'll be back next Sunday
Night for Patrick, for Arnie on Plank. This is Fox
