Speaker 1 (00:01):
You don't listening to sports radio radio. Let's go, stacking genius,
let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go. Baby. Oh
stop it, stop it. What a bad day it was
to Your.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Team didn't even play today? What are you complaining about?

Speaker 1 (00:15):
All my other teams lost. They even when my teams
don't even play, they still lose.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
I very rarely feel like it's necessary to start the
show with a tweet. But mayor of Simpleton asked a
very good question. Now, this might or might not pertain
to a major topic on the show tonight.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
The mayor of Simpleton rights Iowa state and wins the
Big twelve question mark who they beat yesterday?

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Right to that? Right to that?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Well, I can't talk so much about it, you know what?
And the week before that, and then.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
We can't for that. I can't do it anymore. I can't.
I can't root for my all my teams lose. I
can't do sports. The Mets loss, they were never in it.
Arizona is never in it. No, Alonzo can't can't say
fast enough, get me that lot of here. He's my
favorite player. He's out of here.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Now, hold on here on Alonzo. I thought he said
all the right things.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Well he didn't.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
He didn't say trade me right bleeping now, he wasn't
like the goalie for the Charles Towns right right. He
did say all the right things, I thought, And if
I don't care, he still.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Couldn't get out of here fast enough. So so he's gone.
My Dolphins are owned. You know. I just I can't
do sports anymore. I can't do sports. It's just eating.
It eats me away, eats, it eats at the core
of my soul. It just it just destroys me. Every
Sunday night, I come on here and I just want

(01:42):
to punch myself in the eyeball. It just it all
my teams keep losing. You know what I want to do.
I want to talk about stuff that I'm good at.
I want to have which is like sex and relationships.
I want to have a show, which is like a
combination of Doctor Routhe Yeah, how about how about a
combination of Doctor Ruth and Kevin Samuels. You know who

(02:04):
you know? Kevin Samuels is I don't I watch sports.
I don't know Kevin said, you don't bringing up Kevin?
You know what's so funny is why are the producer
and married? They don't know who doctor Ruth is and
you don't know who Kevin Samuels. Why do you even
know who Kevin Samuels is? Because I know everybody before
the show. No no, I used to watch this video.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
I would have a show the city guy.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
I'm gonna have a show in Relationships, and it's gonna
be a half between Kevin Samuels and doctor Ruth, who
used to talk about sex. So you know, women are
gonna call me up or men are gonna call me.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Women would call you up for you?

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Why women called the Kevin Samuels And I'm just are
you in debate over the dumb stuff I would? I
would just say, hey, baby, you need to lose like
one hundred pounds if you think you're gonna get a
guy that's making five hundred thousand a year next. You know,
I could say stuff like that too. I'm very good
at breaking bad news like that.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
I'm telling you, but I mean works if you're if
you were any like Kevin Samuel, is it.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Kevin Samuel's dead.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yeah, yeah, he's been dead for a couple of years now.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
So you I think doctor Ruth is dead too.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah, Doctor, that's why there could be a place for
a show half of Doctor Ruth and the half of
Kevin Samuels, half a sex, half of sex and have
fun relationship. I'm telling you, can we start the show
over again. I can't do sports anymore. I can't. I
can't do it. I don't. I don't know what's happened here.
I can't can't do it anymore.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Is my I mean, I, oh god, I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
I mean, we can do it.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
I can do Sunday mornings. I mean, is Gargano Sunday mornings?
I like getting up early. I don't think I can
do this anymore. I'm I'm being serious.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
You can't do it. I can't do it anymore.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
All my team here and once I'm playing, I just
think getting off on the note it wanting to talk
about how you could be some sort of advice giver
on relationships.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Doctor Arnie. Doctor Arney asked.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Arne asked Arnie, I'm sorry that you talk so much
gas about your teams that you can't accept. Oh touchdown
Dallas Cow, but oh just short of the end zone.
First and goal for Dallas at the one with five
point fifty nine to go in the game. But yeah,
I there's a good idea. By the way, since we've
started off quickly from the from the fans. Yeah, off

(04:19):
my own personal trademark, you know, PMS. Off my own
personal super secret Textoco line. Roger the engineers checked in
and said, since Jarnie can't do sports anymore, how about tradio.
I've got some good used tires to trade. How about
that you do in Oklahoma, don't you? That's right, that's
all we do all four hours on tradio every day.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
I've got two cows and a sheep. Does anybody want
to trade? Can I give you a call?

Speaker 5 (04:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Got three minutes. Give me how it goes every single day.
That's what I thought. That's what I thought.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
I mean, have you ever just thought of, I don't know,
maybe having takes and analysis and not, I don't know,
trying to s all over every team that your squad
plays and just I don't know, given some respect to
the opponent.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
First of all, we just played, so we fumbled the
opening kickoff. Thank goodness, State ruled that we were down.
I could tell right there and then it was gonna.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Go to good football team. I was stayed to top
ten football team.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Wait till we get them back in basketball. Thank goodness,
I've got it the basketball. The show is tonight about basketball.
What are you talking about? I can't wait to get
him in basketball? What a loser? Take I am? Buy
him a loser? I look at my tip. Yeah they are.
My Mets had the best, thank you very much. My
Mets had the best record in baseball after the first

(05:38):
like eighty something games, and after that they had like
the worst record in baseball.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
What you mean, like seventeen games under five hundred since
June thirteen.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Yeah, something like that.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
No, that that's it and uh and seventy when trailing
after eight innings were the old first with the old
touchdown Cowboys. By the way, Dallas has taking the lead
in the game that's going on tonight, but go ahead.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
We're the only team not to win a game after
trailing after eight in the in Major League Baseball, oh.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
In seventy including today when the Reds had lost too.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
To open the door for you, I know it just
it's too much for me. I can't do it anymore.
I mean, I'll go to the next game when I
When I moved down to the Connecticut next week. Yeah,
you won't go to the next game. I will at
least I have the knicks to fall back up. But everything,
everything is destroying me. All my teams are I mean,
think about this, What do I have to look forward to?
Which one of my teams do? I gotta wait till

(06:28):
apriltal are.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
By me march in fairness the crew, which again Patrick
and Mary Mack and Sager and myself and then before Patrick,
Ian and probably before Ian who had well it was Patrick. Yeah, yeah,
we all tried to warn you of all these things,
but you just did not listen. And that's the thing
that where I think all I can speak for all
of them and say we have zero sympathy for you.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
I want to have zero. Somebody. You like when my
teams lose, you love when my wild when they lose, Man,
it just eats me up. That wasn't even close.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
It was I got I warn't, I told you, and
you just dumped the Stay Technical Community College. I'm telling
you last week their top ten football team. They're really good.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Oh I got to kick that.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
You just don't listen. I don't understand. I don't know
how you've been married for thirty years I don't know
how Bath puts up with it.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Well, because I know about relationships. That's why show a.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Case you have your wife's shovel Snow, I don't know
if you should be giving a relationship advice. I think
I should think I should you and Kevin Samuels, but okay,
I mean Kevin Samuels was divorced twice and I don't
even know what doctor Ruth's litany of relational situations look like.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
So I again ask Arney, I'm tell you it's got,
it's got promised, think about it. Just you know, thought,
I'm gonna throw it by the boss. See what he's
got to say.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Yeah, I don't know about that, but good lot, right.
I mean, it's if you just listen to us every
now and then. I'm not telling you that we're always right,
but I just you know what act like you are
and then you're dfwd.

Speaker 5 (08:02):
I know.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
But you know what though, it is so tough, I
mean now I have I mean, I put in one
hundred and sixty one games in the Major League Baseball
and they can't even come close in Game one sixty
two and the six months are out the window. I mean,
don't tell me don't tell what we tried to tell you.
They're the best record in baseball. Fairness.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
In fairness, you don't really care about baseball, nor do
we talk about it too terribly much on this show.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
That doesn't mean I wasn't all tuned in today.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Yeah, like, you're locked in for one hundred and sixty
one games and you haven't talked about it in probably
one hundred and sixty one of those days.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Until when I was upset about it tonight. For crime,
I don't blame you. I'd be mad too.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Who uh, who should be mad here? You guys are
the Astros today?

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Yeah, they're They're done so Also, man.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
The playoffs are set in Major League Baseball. We'll get
Disager has the bracket. He'll break it all down. But
I'm just happy not his.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Team LOFs too. I was thinking about him today. Who's
at the Seger?

Speaker 2 (08:59):
The Sager's team lost?

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Why are you so mean to Steve? And somebody's got
to be miserable with me too.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
I can't have the shifting back and forth between baseball
and football now.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Yes, the Chargers lost on the road to the Giants,
Thank goodness.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
The Dolphins won a game this season.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Yeah, they're everything.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Uh, the Brewers and Phillies get to buy in the
National League, Blue Jays and Mariners in the American League.
We'll run through the matchups, which include a full Tuesday
of I guess you could say wild card games, Dodgers, Reds.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
My Dodgers always, I got them.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Don't do that to them, Yeah, Padres versus the Times,
and then the American League. I don't you can complain
about your Mets, but nobody had a bigger implosion than
the Tigers. But they get in by the skin.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Of their teeth.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
I think that's the saying.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
So Tigers Guardians on Tuesday, and then of course Red
Sox Yankees, with the winners moving on to play the
Blue Jays. So the playoffs are set if you want
to go down that road. But I noticed a team
that is missing from that as I scroll, and that
as your Mets.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
So you can't tell me we tried to tell you.
I tried to tell you that baseball. So they had
the best record in baseball, the number one numero. Who know,
and they don't even make the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
I mean, what point did they have the best record
in baseball?

Speaker 6 (10:13):
Though?

Speaker 1 (10:13):
After the first like seventy five to eighty games. Seventy
five games.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
They had the best record in baseball through seventy five games,
and they didn't make the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
No, didn't even make the playoffs. Wow, that's terrible.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
If only we talked a lot of baseball on this show,
that would have been something that I don't know, we
would have been fighting, screaming and yelling about.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
But it's NFL season. What are you doing right now? Ni?
I know we're watching it.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
We're watching the Cowboys and the Packers in a great
game that's coming down to the wire. And do you
want to complain about your mets, Well, if you.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Can also talk about relationships, think about that.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Just I don't think again, somebody who openly goes on
the air and talks about how their wife has to
do all the chores, I don't know if that's the
person that's going.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
To or maybe it's the perfect person who know.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
My man Warren By the way, one more off the
off the super secret Textosa line. Warren, who's driving all
over America right noways listening and says, who the hell
is going to sponsor? Ask Arnie, that's a good question,
that idea, who you looking for to sponsor.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Ask Arnie, right, ask Arnie. I think that's a great
idea for a radio show.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
What a great weekend of football. Both collegen pro welcome
in Arnie and Plank on Fox Sports Radio. Arnie, of course,
doesn't listen to anyone, so he's acting like, Hey, he
cared about baseball and b soon A Wildcats got smooked
by Ioway staying Ames Hill Saturday. But the good news
is at least you have those Dolphins to look forward
to on Monday night.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Right, I'm ready to make a run. I'm ready to
win this game and they beat Carolina and get back in.
I was looking at Actually, you want to know how
you know? You wonder know how sick I am yourself?
Don't you want to know how sick I am? I
actually clicked on the NFL standings, the playoffs standings to
see if Miami would win two games, where would they
be for the playoffs standing. Well, that's how sick I am. That,

(11:58):
that's how mentally deranged I am to think that a
team that has no wins that we're going to go
to the playoffs. I should be fired for even just
bringing that up. To be honest with you.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Well, No, the funny thing is if they win, you'll
truly believe it, and you'll come back in here if
they happen to win two in a row and when
a point would be two and three at that point
next Sunday night, Yeah, you'll be in here telling us
how they're going to the playoffs. So it's not really
like you've learned a lesson here or anything. That's fine,
you know, go good dolphense Oh there's a rarety Brett
farv spoted on the sidelines.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Oh wow, see that.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
I don't think i've seen Brett Farrvan a football game
in ages. And now, all of a sudden, as we
shift back to are you okay if we talk about
the game that's going on right now? Yeah, there's anything
else you need to get out? No, don't say let's go.
You've been ploated this program from the start. So are
you okay?

Speaker 1 (12:47):
If we get to get too By the way, clean
shaven looks young. I'm shocked. He looks pretty good, to
be honest.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
With four point fifty to go in the game, Green
Bay has the football. They're down thirty to twenty seven
after I mean, this is the greatest example of the
Arnie Curse. After being number one in your power rankings,
the Packers went out and lost to the Browns last week,
right right right, and now they're having to go out
and find a way to come from behind to beat

(13:14):
the Cowboys and they don't get much on first down.
Kudos to the Cowboys, a one to two football team
that looked dastardly last week in position and maybe win
this game.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
When I was watching this game early on, I thought
the Packers were actually going to go ahead and blow
them away. I know, an extra point really doesn't make
that much of a difference. I know the Cowboys ran
it back for two, but it felt like some of
the momentum was taken away from that touchdown. And then
that's when Dallas slowly started making a comeback, and green
Bay let them hang around and hang around, and after

(13:46):
those first two drives, green Bay couldn't move the ball
to save their lives. They let the Cowboys get right
back in this thing. Well, Josh Jacobs isn't right.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
I mean, they're facing a third and long right now
because they keep trying to feed Josh Jacobs and he's.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
I don't know, I get it. He's had a good night.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
But right now they keep showing him on the sidelines
and as he's just carry the ball what for minus
one eighteen carries for seventy yards, So they're gonna keep
feeding him. But I'll tell you something at this point,
right now, they've been Wow, there's seven of nine on
third downs tonight for the Green Bay Packers. They got
to put the ball in the air. They got to

(14:26):
put the ball in the air if they're gonna win
this football game. But we'll see if the Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Can hold on.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
We'll be watching along with you as we put a
rap on. Well, I say we put a rap. We
got a double header big third down conversion. Now, that
makes him what eight of ten on third downs. That's
how you win football games, especially whenever the average distance
is six yards or more. That was a third down
and eight and the Cowboys just leave. I mean, I
don't know how you can, but they leave one of

(14:51):
their top Romeo dobs. They just pretty much left them
wide open. Hey, take that back. There was pretty good
coverage on it, but the.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
It was a good catch.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
He just shook. I looked up whenever he was running
after he had shook him late. But what we learned
this week? Man, what a good week. We'll dive into
the full breakdown of the entire weekend of football action.
I got a chance to sit and watch all the
college games yesterday. Was awesome. Got a chance to dive
into all the NFL games today, It was awesome. But
I mean, what a fun day in the National Football League?

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Man?

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Start to finish early morning game. I like the early
morning game. I'm sure the West Coasters don't care about
it too terribly much. It's approximately one quarter for everyone
to hate Carson Wentz. Again, that's a Vikings fan. But
what'd you make of today? Fun days always seen?

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Now finally something up my timeframe of a nice little
nine thirty a m.

Speaker 7 (15:40):
Game.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Because you're the people on the West Coast are used
to the ten o'clock game, So nine thirty perfect fit.
You're having a little breakfast, or you're done early, you're
sitting down and you're ready to watch a little football
at nine thirty. Then you still know that you have
a full day coming up at one o'clock. So I enjoyed.
I think we have a game next week to it
at nine thirty. Other it every week for crying out

(16:01):
loud and it is starting to get a little out
of the hand though. To be honest with you, Chris,
you don't like it.

Speaker 6 (16:06):
No.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
I I like the time start, but I don't think
I like them playing every weekend in a different.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Viking Browns are next week. That's the nine thirty kick
Eastern time out. Uh Tottenham in England.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Should I read somewhere that they're trying to get every team,
all all teams to play overseas at least one game
each year, so every team is going to experience that.
I don't know how they're going to work that out.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
I don't know if they'll be able to do it
every year, but that's what that Yeah, where was the article?

Speaker 1 (16:38):
I think I said it to you, but I have it.
I'll pull it up for you, and I did. But
they tried to say every team, and I'm like, that's
all long team in a year. Yeah, yeah, Are you
sure you read that right? A lot? I know, I'm
pretty sure about it. It's not the most confident take
ever heard. I'll look it up. I'll see if I

(16:58):
can find it. I buy it.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
But going back to Brazil, which I think has been
a hit so far, so they're going to have a
regular season game in Brazil. I mean, we're we're seeing
more and more every single year that are being played overseas,
So I mean, it wouldn't surprise me that they want
to get every team Rota again. Real though, that would
be fun. Ow Rio would be a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Haven't they been? Is that where they've been playing? No,
I think it's gonna be the first time there. I thought.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
I thought they've been playing on Friday nights to start
the season in Brazil the last two years. Isn't that
where they am I wrong? Is that not where they
played the Friday night game this year?

Speaker 1 (17:32):
I thought there was a story of South Paolo, South Paulo.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Okay, but it's still Brazil, right, So they're they're they're
moving it then from South Paulo to Rio Regionarrow Okay,
so they've been in Brazil, they're just moving cities in Brazil.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
That would be fun. Real Dejonnario, you're the.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
One that brought the story up. Have you found out
if we're trying to play all the teams overseas or now?

Speaker 1 (17:54):
You wanted me to look that up. I didn't know
you want me to do that? Right now? I mean,
how dare how dare you break up a story? All right?

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Angle, and then you're in charge of actually looking it
up outside of say, someone else who I don't know
didn't bring it up.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
I mean, is that crazy of me to think that
you might be on that? Or No, I would I
wouldn't have just made it up off the top of
my head. I had to have read it somewhere far
read it wrong. But I don't.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
I don't think it would be possible unless we're going
to commit to I mean, a full overseas schedule of well,
they're like basically sixteen games because everyone would have to
play over there.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
That seems just a lot. But were you pretty I
even put in the Roman numerals. I put on the
Roman numeral number five sub section two.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
All right, well, then where's the story at what's the
source on it?

Speaker 1 (18:39):
I'll have to look down up a matter of fact,
didn't I also send you a story how the NBA
wants teams from overseas to even be in our NBA playoffs?
How about that they went, wait, what teams from other
leagues to be in our playoffs? The NBA playoffs?

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Why it's an inferior brand? Of basketball.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
I'm just telling me that story. I have that story.
I did send you. I can't believe you didn't read
that one, Arnie.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
You see me eighty six stories and half of them
are like wrong and the others, Oh no, that's story.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
No, no, that's a true story. That's a true story. Okay.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
So Adam Silver, yeah, wants to have teams from overseas
playing in the NBA playoffs.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Yes, absolutely on that. Here a matter of fact, here's
the story it says here. Adam Silver says NBA teams
could potentially face off against NBA Europe teams even in
the playoffs. You could see teams coming into our playoffs
top seeds from other leagues. So when I think of
the fight from New York Tela, for example, there's no

(19:42):
reason if we had four teams in Europe, you couldn't
travel play the Knicks or the Nets, travel to London,
play three four times in Europe, come back home. So
I think it's very doable in our league for the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
Yeah, did Adam Silver's lost as every Why do I
feel like Arnie is trying to you in his like
rec league sports. I know.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
League teams involved in the playoffs. It's like every time
I bring up a story, don't they didn't see that?
I'm like, am I am? I delusional?

Speaker 2 (20:12):
What what again? I'll be honest with you. I'm so living, eating, sleeping,
breathing football right now. That they even had NBA Media
Days the other day. And I live in the state
where the defending NBA champs play and all the media
day stuff. I'm like, an eighty two game season coming up. Bro,
we don't we got a long I'll be there for

(20:34):
the night they hang the banner and everyone can celebrate.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
And then I'll pick you back up around the.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
All Star break, you know exactly, because you got I mean, listen,
we got a great Sunday night football game going on.
There's two twelve to go in the game. The Packers
are trying to put together a drive. They're down three.
They have it just I guess you would say in
field goal range. It's right at the thirty yard line
of the Cowboys, and they got a fresh shut of downs.
And now as soon as I question Josh Jacobs, he
is dragging Dallas Cowboys down inside the red zone. So

(21:02):
two minute warning is this is the pros and the
Pros in colleges. It's the two minute timeout. In the pros,
it's two minute warning. Thirty twenty seven. Cowboys leaded, but
Packers are driving all right. Well, since you took us
to overseas football and the NBA Europe, let's get a
break and reset the palette, shall we. That's already span you.
I'm Chris Plank. We're cooking on a Sunday night into

(22:01):
never have time for.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
Yeah, you blubber list jamen me.

Speaker 6 (22:04):
Well, you know what it's called over promise. You should
be good at it because you've been over promising women
for years. Well, it's a Cavino and Rich after show,
and we want you to be a part of it.

Speaker 8 (22:12):
We're gonna be talking sports, of course, but we're also

so maybe we'll go at it even a little harder.

There you go, over promising. Remember you could see it
on YouTube, but definitely join us. Listen Over Promised with
Cavino and Rich on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or

Speaker 2 (22:44):
What a drive from the Green Bay Packers. They cap
off a ten play, eighty yard drive with a fifteen
yard touchdown pass from Love to Romeo Dobbs. He's got
five catches for fifty two yards. Packers up thirty four
to thirty and in Dallas, big kick return pushes that
out near midfield. So a minute thirty eight to go.

(23:05):
In the game thirty four thirty. Dak Prescott in his
career has seven game winning drives in the final two
minutes of the fourth quarter or overtime. Already, Well, they
get it done. Well, you always get it done here.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
Do you like the kick? You know what bothers me
is it used to be you have to work a
little bit to get in the field goal range to
kick the tying or winning field goal. Now you just
take the kickoff back and you're you're easily getting to
like the thirty five forty yard lineer. Better than that,
you need like one first down and you're in field
goal range. Well, but I mean the Cowboys are down
four right, No, No, I'm just saying overall though the kickoff.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
Was that a fumble? No, they're say an incomplete path?

Speaker 1 (23:44):
You're ahead of me. I hate it.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Good, Thank you Jesus. You're about The last thing we
need is to me, is you to be ahead of us.
Dak just had one that he kind of short armed
that looked for a moment like it might be a fumble.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
No, he threw that.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
Yeah, but he threw that. He just kind of slipped
out of his hand as it was going forward. I
don't know though. Sometimes what you gotta have the arm
is the ball out of the hand. Though that's one
of those where if they can see, look, they're gonna
review this. They're gonna look at this. If the ball's
out of the hand while it's going forward, it's a fumble.
But no, no, no, they're going to rule an incomplete pass.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
So a bigger game for who right now? Cowboys or
the pack.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Cowboys right, I mean to and oh, they've given themselves
a little bit of a cushion. They traded mikeah Parsons.
The last thing you want to have happen is for
mikeah Parsons to end the game with like a strip
sack here or something. He's been pretty close to the
last few drives. But yeah, I don't know, dude. I
think it's bigger for the Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
What about you? Well, if they lose, they'll drop to
what one in three to three at that point? Yeah? Yeah,
But Packers with the start they had, and to think
that they'd be two and two and lose to a
team that they dominated what like nine of the last
ten games. They can still turn it around, though, So
I have to agree with you. I think it's a
bigger game for the Cowboys. It's tough to m back
from a one in three start, especially with Philadelphia and

(25:03):
Washington in that division.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
All Right, they've pushed it in the Packers' territory, but
they're facing a third down. Let me go ahead and
clean up the note on overseas games.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
Yeah, this was daring.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
This wasn't some statement from the league or anything.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
It was I just happened to look that one up.
But it was a statement from somewhere. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
No, No, it wasn't something where Goodell was talking to
a bunch of like that. You know, I don't writers
or anything here.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
I found it.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
You were right, Roger Goodell. According to Brooks Pryor, said
that his goal is to set sixteen international games this season,
so every team has one. And it came while he
was speaking at a panel event, so he was at
a panel discussion in Ireland. Oh my, the Cowboys are
going to score five yard line touchdown, Dallas, touchdown, Dallas. Wow,

(25:54):
Oh my goodness. Forty three seconds left in the game.
George Pickens took it about the fifth team, spun away
from a defender, took it.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
To the house.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
The Cowboys have taken the lead on a three play
fifty four yard drive that took a minute and two seconds.
A minute and now it gets back to what you
were just talking about, Arnie with that kick return the kick. Yeah,
so Green Bay might put in themselves in great position,
but real quick. So it was a panel discussion in
Ireland where he was basically asked questions. Brooke Pryor, my pal,

(26:26):
was there, and she said that that Goodell said the
league wants to stage sixteen international games per year. So
you're right, I think it's crazy if that's the case.
If that's the case, then I hope you're going to start,
you know, in those taxpayer funded stadiums for the lost revenue.
I hope you're going to start some sort of reimbursement
plan on that, because that's taking away from the fans

(26:48):
that spend all the money on the tickets and their
tax dollars go towards the stadium.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
I mean that to me.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
I know, it's just one game a year, and I
guess that would balance it out so you don't have
teams that are stressed out having to go overseas.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
But that thinks like a lot. If you added to
it an eighteenth game. It was one game you weren't
going to have anyway.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
That's true, that's a fair point. If we get to
that eighteen game lead, which we will, I'm sure we will.
Do you think so eventually he won. He's pushing it
a couple of years. Yeah, he's pushing it all right,
Cowboys coming down the stretch. Let's get an update from
Steve to Sager, who's been watching this game intentally and
it's been a doozy as well as all the games
here on this Sunday. Steve de Saga, what's trending, buddy, Hello, gentlemen, And.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
It's amazing the Dallas Cowboys have scored thirty seven points
tonight because if you saw the first quarter and a half,
they had one first down, they were down thirteen nothing briefly,
and then blocked an extra point and ran it back
for two, but they were still down thirteen to two.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
To grow up. Does that happen blocked the extra point
and running back for two.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
Well, I'm sure the Eagles are going to do that
as well.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
They're on a Thank goodness, I cut them from my
fantasy football team. The Browns defense.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
Dallas in the final minute before halftime two touchdowns to
take the lead, and amazingly the offense has kept it
up so thirty seven thirty four the lead over Green Bay.
The Packers had just gone back in front with under
two minutes to go. Jordan Love is third touchdown pass
of the night, all to Romeo Jobs. Now it's three
TD passes for Dak Prescott. He's up to two hundred
and fifty six yards through the air. Javonte Williams seventeen

(28:14):
carries seventy two yards. He had a TD on a
direct snap for Dallas, and George Pickens now has two dds,
six receptions one hundred and eight yards. We have now
about thirty seconds to go in regulation. The Packers are
going to take over down thirty seven thirty four at Dallas.
And as far as the International games, and the day

(28:35):
started with the Dublin game, Pittsburgh held on to beat
Minnesota twenty four to twenty one. Minnesota is staying in
Europe this week right and they will play in London
next Sunday against the Browns, and then in the same
stadium in London two weeks from today it's the Jets
against the Broncos and then the next week at Wimbley
Stadium in London. Three weeks from today, it'll be the

(28:56):
Rams against Jacksonville. They're also going to be two international games,
not in England, but in November, one in Berlin and
one in Madrid. The Dolphins are playing mid November in
Madrid against Washington. So yeah, they've got a few this year. Earlier,
Kansas City beat Baltimore thirty seven to twenty four touchdown
passes Patrick Mahomes Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson left with a

(29:20):
hamstring injury. Jacksonville held on to win at San Francisco
twenty six twenty one forty nine ers with four turnovers.
The Rams scored two touchdowns in the last three and
a half minutes to beat the Colts twenty seven to
twenty And it must be said again out loud, Coldswide
receiver ad and I Mitchell blew a seventy six yard
touchdown when he celebrated early and fumbled the ball through

(29:41):
the end zone in the third quarter, and his team
winds up losing by a touchdown. Chicago came back to
win at Las Vegas twenty five twenty four Raiders with
four turnovers. The Bears blocked a fifty four yard field
goal attempt at the end, by the.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Way, crushed me. I felt bad for Plank at that point.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
You did personally. Oh absolutely fall chrisp the Breaking News sounder.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
I actually came away from that game happy, which is
the weird thing.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
That was an actual ground game. Actually, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
I saw running back to that he took in the
top ten do something that made me.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
That's why I say I have a bigger fan than
you guys. That's right.

Speaker 3 (30:17):
Ashton genty three total touchdowns, one fumble in Vegas today,
one hundred and thirty eight yards rushing.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
To start this drive for the Packers at Dallas with
about thirty seconds left, Jordan Loves swing pass to Josh
Jacobs a twenty five yard gain. Jacobs has eighty one
yards rushing and two scores. He also has four catches
seventy one yards to lead his team in that category.
And the Packers, with twenty two seconds left in regulation

(30:44):
down thirty seven to thirty four, have just crossed midfield.
So things are going okay. And now it's about a
ten yard gain and another first down.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Boy, well, what is that the sega the forty four
where they are right now, I think it's thirty nine
thirty oh wow, so we are about out.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
Yeah, thirty fifty seven yard field goal attempt at the
moment seventeen seconds left Brandon McManus, and this would be
an indoor on turf kick standing by earlier not only
the Dublin game that the Steelers won Giants upset the
Chargers twenty one eighteen, but Giants star wide receiver Molik
Neighbors left with a knee injury possible torn ACL MRI

(31:21):
on Monday Buffalo's four to oh after beating winless New
Orleans thirty one nineteen.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
By the way, thank goodness, we got the report from
Chef thro the guy that said the Giants are nervous
that it might be at ACL, so wait to come
out on that report. I would never have figured that out.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
He also talked about the knee injury of Josh Jacobs tonight,
who's done nothing but you know, keep the Packers in
the game since he came back in off the sideline.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Do they not even measure for first downs?

Speaker 7 (31:47):
Now?

Speaker 2 (31:47):
Do the officials just come in and like, no, not
close enough. That look like they should have measured that?
To Sega, what do you think.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
They do not use the chains on the field anyway, right,
they're mere backups, So it's all on the human spot.
And once they get the spot, then they can use
the technology and say, oh, that was nine inches short
of a first down or some such thing. Philadelphia is
four and oh after holding on at Tampa Bay thirty
one twenty five. It was thirty one thirteen. Late in
the third, Detroit and Atlanta each one at home New

(32:15):
England as well. Houston was hosting Tennessee in a battle
of winless teams, and Houston beat him twenty six to nothing.
It was six nothing to start the fourth quarter. Arkansas
fired head coach Sam Pittman. Bobby Petrino takes over as
interim coach. Oklahoma State fired defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. Head
coach Mike Gunding was laker last week. Yes exactly, but

(32:37):
the head coach was gone. So you know, they talk
about money. We really need your money here at the
Oklahoma State program. If we're going to be yeah, okay,
just pay off all the three year contracts you have
all at once. None of that is going to make
its way to players or recruits. Congratulations. Updating the game
at Dallas, Cowboys up by three, twelve seconds left, Dallas

(32:58):
has used its final time out on defense. The Packers
have the ball at the Dallas thirty nine, so again
it would be close to a fifty seven yard field
goal attempt. At this point, it is a first down,
as we mentioned.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
So Nicman, this doesn't look good. He just looks nervous,
like he's gonna throw up or something.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
That's how the Illinois kicker looked yesterday whenever I was
watching Illinois USC like this guy's gonna shank this hag
And of course he heared it.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
Game winner.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
Yeah, by the way, that turned out to be quite
the game. Unexpectedly so the big new kickoff on Fox yesterday,
And wasn't that the longest game of the day. Also,
I mean they literally were on the air almost four
hours for that and it did not go overtime. Josh
Jacobs has run for four yards up the middle to
set up the field goal attempt, and that's where we stand,

(33:46):
eight seconds left, time out, Green Bay. They can bring
I assume right now, bring on the field goal team.
Do you risk it in the final seconds running one
more play?

Speaker 1 (33:56):
Guys?

Speaker 3 (33:56):
It's second down.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
No, no, no, no, you gotta kick it right now.
There is eight seconds left though, so I know Love's
not coming off the field.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
He's not. So this is a I'm not saying it's
a huge risk, but it is.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
It is a risk.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
I know you still have one time out left.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
How much yargs are you going to gain another yard
or two?

Speaker 2 (34:12):
It's way I just put it on a hash that
he might like.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
What they're really doing is trying to run the clock
out so that the kick is the last thing, because
they know Brandon Aubrey can kick an eighty yard field.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
There are two this guy from Tampa today sixty five
yards five he did actually, which would have been good
from seventy.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
That was the longest field goal made outdoors in NFL history,
by the way, that Tampa Bay gets. So they go
back to pass with eight seconds left and throw it
deep and out of bounds, which leaves four seconds remaining.
Bring the field goal unit on on third down, only
four seconds to go?

Speaker 6 (34:50):
What was that?

Speaker 3 (34:51):
Yeah? I agree, this will be about a fifty three
yard attempt just to send it to overtime. At Dallas,
Cowboys are winning thirty seven thirty four. Green Bays about
lineup Dallas does not have any timeouts left on defense.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
Major has one left, by the way.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Green Bay has one left. Major League Baseball's regular season
has ended. The Guardians clinch the AL Central title. Detroit
lost again, then Cleveland one in ten innings. Blue Jays
wanted home to clinch the AL East. The Mets season
is over after getting shut out for nothing at Miami,
the Reds get the final wildcard spot. Fifty three yard
attempt from McManus is straight down the middle. We're going

(35:27):
overtime at Dallas, tied at thirty seven. This is like
that Giants Dallas game in recent weeks. You recle I
didn't expect anything from that one, and here we go
to ot back to you.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
Thanks to Shady Sean for twenty My guy, he has
his parlay still alive. He needs the pack Hurst to
win and I think it's like a seventeen parlay that
And give him credit because one of the teams that
he picked in that were the Jaguars. So you want
to make fun of how anyone can hit a thirty
game parlay, you pick the Jaguars over the Niners. Don't

(36:00):
know if many people were thinking that was gonna happen today.
All right, Let's get a break so we can all
watch overtime together. We're heading ot in Dallas. Cowboys Packers
tied at thirty seven. It's already in Plank on Fox

down word overtime Packers Cowboys tied at thirty seven, where

(36:47):
they have a flag on that kick return. Dallas had
a big kick return that was brought all the way
back to their own twenty yard line. But they're moving
the ball down. The Cowboys look good offensively tonight.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
He said. And that's without CD Lamb. Who would have
thought that Pickens would have this type of game when
they don't have their number one receiver to take away,
you know, the number one corner from him. So it's phenomenal.
I can't believe it, especially Green Bay does have a
good defense. I don't know what's happened to him the
last couple of games. It's like ever since I pronounced
them the number one team in the power rankings. Yeah,
they fall.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
Atart works wild eleven targets for one. George Pickens tonight
eight catches, one hundred and thirty four yards and two touchdowns.
He's looked incredible. Cowboys have been able to run the
ball fairly well too, as Williams Maul Williams has eighty
four yards on nineteen carries for the Fantasy geeking you

(37:41):
over three hundred yards and three scores for Jordan Love.
Looks like it's just a matter of time before Dak
Prescott surpasses three hundred yards. He's at two point eighty
five with three scores right now, Cowboys happened second and seven,
second and seven moving into Packers territory. That the thirty
nine yard line. Boy, Dak's in trouble here. Oh you

(38:02):
kidding me? What to catch in a five yard line?
Holy smokes. I hate that they're so far smokes. Now, well, see,
you should like it because instead of when you're ahead, you.

Speaker 1 (38:13):
Just go whoa and I just stopped there. That's right.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
One of the Cowboys receivers, Jalen Tolbert, got free and
made an incredible catch. Yeah, and he got both feet
in at the five yard line.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
Wow, what a catch.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
I mean, unbelievable to not only get that left foot
in but drag the right foot to get it down.
The Cowboys have it first and goal that won't even
be looked at. That's not even looked at by replay officials.
How about that.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
Good job, good job Cowboys. Punch it in here and
then we'll see. If I don't like the new overtime rules,
I don't like that to can finish in a tie.
I think you should just play it out. I don't
like that you could, really, you know, just drain that clock.
And it's only a ten minute clock. It used to
be a twelve minute clock. I believe, really, yeah, I remember.
But this has been an incredible game.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
I mean, I know that we all thought about the
idea of having, you know, both teams with the opportunity
to have a possession in overtime, right, and now that
they have it, I kind of like it. You think
this Cowboy's gonna get this in in the final two
minutes here of our hour?

Speaker 1 (39:21):
Areny?

Speaker 2 (39:21):
Are we gonna have to watch it and then talk
about it when we come back?

Speaker 1 (39:24):
Yeah? Jack does talk about it. Yeah, when we get back.
I don't know if they'll get it in right now,
but they've got a couple of minutes to try to
figure it out.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
Three nineteen. Now the total yard is for Dak Prescott,
thirty one of thirty nine. They have it first in goal.
They're six oh ninety without a.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
Real running back to two of the running backs got hurt.
They were now like their fullback.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
Oh did Williams get hurt tonight?

Speaker 1 (39:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (39:44):
Oh, I completely I thought he was the game. I
thought Javonte.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Williams was in the game. I bad. Well, maybe he
came back. He's running the ball right now. Well, then
he came back because they lost their second string running back.
Two that they had to take it to the locker room.
I forget who that one was.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
Yeah, the Cowboys have actually run the ball, okay, tonight,
let's say one, two, three, four or five six different
guys have run the football. Four boys tonight, including Javonte Williams,
who now has twenty carries for eighty five yards. It's
second down in goal with the clock running thirty seven.
All Cowboys as a team twenty six carries one hundred

(40:19):
and seventeen yards four point five yards per carry. They've
got it right at the five. Make you that the
four yard line and Dak's gonna throw. No one's open.
He's gonna try to run for it, tripped up, tripped
up the four yard line by who else? Who else
but the guy that they gave up on. They gave
up on. They got two first round picks for him.

(40:40):
Michaeh Parsons, All right, well you watch this.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
Yeah, we're running out of time. So we'll talk about that,
about how he called Jerry and tried to fix things
the very last minute, and Jerry said, you better get
your butt on the field or go to Green Bay.
So how about that? Hey?

Speaker 2 (40:52):
Be sure to check out Draft Kings sportsbook and official
sports betting partner of the NFL right now. Use the
promo code fox Game that's Fox Game to claim your
special offer at Draft Kings. Draft Kings The Crown is yours.
Don't forget. That's promo code Fox game. Third and goal
for the Cowboys in overtime, Prescott Waits Waits Waits throws,

(41:14):
all right, we'll have a fourth and goal or a
field goal attempt when we come back. It's Arnie and
Plank watching Sunday Night Football and overtime on Fox. Oh,
we're heading down the home stretch. Packers have a big
fourth down coming up, Arnie and Plank here on Fox
Sports Radio. Fourth and six from their own twenty three

(41:36):
yard line, down forty to thirty seven, as you just
heard from Disaga. In overtime, we'll have some time to
hash this out because Green Bay has called a time out.
I am perplexed why Dallas hitn't take the ineligible man
downfield penalty?

Speaker 1 (41:50):
Would I didn't see what would auld a.

Speaker 2 (41:52):
Five yard penalty. It would have put him at that
point second and eleven.

Speaker 1 (41:56):
But uh, they wanted it down right.

Speaker 2 (41:58):
I guess they wanted to make a third On third
and six, Jordan Love threw a lolllypop pass line throw.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
A deep down field on third down. When it's third
and six, there's plenty of time work the field go
up the middle, white, white, bother thrown at that deep
Now you've got to do or die fourth down. It's
it's a great question. I have no idea, especially along
the sideline too. That's ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
Yeah, I just incredible, incredibly dumb. I think I again,
they've been having I hate to try to sound like
an X and O guy, but crossers open all game
long and they decide to try to throw a bomb. Now,
maybe there should have been a flag for p I,
but I don't mind the underthrown ball and not getting
a pass interference. Green baconverts. They'll keep the drive alive.

(42:48):
Short pass to who is that is that?

Speaker 1 (42:51):
Jacobs?

Speaker 7 (42:51):
No?

Speaker 2 (42:51):
No gold Oh, Anthony Gold So a Matthew gold party.
So a lot of the first down just short of these.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
You like him? Yeah, he's a longhorn.

Speaker 2 (43:00):
Took me a while, but that was He's been impressive
so far for Green Bay tonight. If you are a
numbers nerd, that's the fourth catch of the night from
Matthew Golden. Four catches sixty one yards, had that forty
six yard bomb that he caught earlier. See if they
tried to get Josh Jacobs, well, Jacobs isn't even in
the game, right, now and they get a big run.

(43:21):
Oh my goodness, Emanuel Wilson pounds it up towards midfield.
A little pushing and shoving afterwards. Been a good game.
Forty thirty seven, the Cowboys lead, and I will say
I do like the idea of this overtime. Now, Arnie,
what are we about three years four years in where
the field goal on the first possession doesn't end overtime?
I like that because number one, the Cowboys had to

(43:42):
go for it, you know, a couple times in the
red zone instead of just trotting out the kicker to
end the game. I do like that in the NFL, though,
that you just don't kick the field goal that ends
the game.

Speaker 1 (43:51):
Right, And a touch on one of end of the
game anyway, right, because they both would.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
No, no, I understand exactly wouldn't have ended it. But
I'm just saying, if you go back to the old school,
it's so horrible, Yeah, terrible. All right, Well, Green Bay
really chugging up some yards now, they're gonna have it
in Cowboys territory at the forty yard line. They found
something here with Emmanuel Wilson. He's up to seven carries
for thirty seven yards right now. I don't know if
any of you had Emmanuel Wilson going in fantasy tonight,

(44:16):
but it's a great game that we're keeping tabs on
as we recap what I thought. It was a fun
day of the NFL. It started early. We almost forget
about the early morning kick. And you ready to apologize
to me yet, I'm what on Aaron Rodgers give it
looks pretty damn good.

Speaker 1 (44:32):
He knows, he absolutely does. I'm not ready to jump
all in, but the fact that Baltimore is off to
a one and three start and Cincinnati lost their quarterback,
they're looking pretty good in that division of Gordon won it,
that's for sure. Well.

Speaker 2 (44:47):
And I mean, listen, the Browns, bless their hearts. They
beat the Packers last week, and they maybe kept it
a little bit tighter than some might have thought against
the Lions for a while today. I think that was
like twenty to ten in a third quarter, and then
Detroit put fourteen on the board in the fourth to
really separate things. But yeah, I'd like to steal one

(45:09):
of your phrases here. Yeah, I think that division race
might be ov er over right now.

Speaker 1 (45:14):
Do you think Russell Wilson's gonna go to the Bengals.
I mean, after what Jackson Dart did today and they
got to win, I'm all, I'm like, God, that's all
I need to see. I'm he's our quarterback from here
on out. Goodbye Russ, and let's go see what we
can get for him. Let's go ahead and trade him.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
Well, I mean, who would you if you're the Bengals
right now? Cincinnati fans would love to hear from you
on this. Are you are you saying no, no, no,
Let's stick with Jake Browning.

Speaker 1 (45:36):
Who's look.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
The last few weeks, or do you say, all right,
let's go make a push for Why would you want Russ?
I mean he got benched in Pittsburgh or he got
hurt in Pittsburgh last year and was clearly I thought
the second best quarterback.

Speaker 1 (45:50):
Because Field two weeks ago, I saw him throw for
four hundred and fifty yards. That's why.

Speaker 2 (45:54):
Well, right now you're watching Jordan Love throw for three
twenty aginst this defense.

Speaker 1 (46:00):
Well, I don't have a quarterback.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
I mean, you're you have Jake Browning that's been in
your system for three years now.

Speaker 1 (46:05):
He didn't look very good, you know, even though he
got the win he threw the boatload of interceptions. Oh
you think he's throwing a boatload of interceptions? Yeah? All right?

Speaker 2 (46:15):
Are you trying to tell me right now that three
touchdown passes to five interceptions is a bad touchdown interception ratio?

Speaker 1 (46:21):
Aren't he?

Speaker 2 (46:22):
Is that what you're trying to tell him?

Speaker 1 (46:22):
Would you just stay with him? Then? Is that what
you're saying you would rather just stay with him? Well?

Speaker 2 (46:26):
But see, okay, this is my theory. And we'll throw
it in front of Todd's. Todd's with us tonight, right, Yeah, okay,
we'll throw it in front of Todd. I don't think
it's as simple as go trade for this guy and
he's going to make everything right, because you know it's
every Quarterbacks are in different systems. There's timing with wide receivers.
So I think it could work.

Speaker 1 (46:46):
Sure.

Speaker 2 (46:46):
I mean we're watching Carson Wentz. I mean, hell, what
Winz throw for today? Like three fifty? So I mean
maybe you can pick up a guy, but it takes
at least a couple of weeks to understand that system.
So by that point, where are you as the angles
and do you want to give up like a fifth
round pick to go get Russell Wilson' even know if
you have to give up that.

Speaker 1 (47:05):
I mean the Giants probably just want him out of
the uh, you know, out of the area, out of
the locker room, just to give more confidence to to
Dart to show, look, we got rid of the backup.
You're the guy moving on forward. Let's see what you got.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
So the guy, Oh I loved him.

Speaker 1 (47:23):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (47:24):
You mean, the guy that Jackson Dart praised in his
postgame press conferences for helping him out. That's the guy
you want to get out of town, right yew, It's.

Speaker 1 (47:30):
The guy you want to get out of town exactly.

Speaker 2 (47:32):
I mean, they do have a very unique quarterback room
in New York right now, because it's obvious Jackson Dart's
the dude.

Speaker 1 (47:39):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (47:39):
And then you still have Jameis Winston that's dancing around
like he's the guy.

Speaker 1 (47:43):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
And then you added Russell Wilson, who is now on
his what is it, fourth team and four years third
team and three whatever it might be, because he went
from being the Sea What have you made of the
conversation this week speaking of Russell Wilson, what have you
made of the conversation that he has played himself out
of the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (48:01):
You know, I didn't understand why everybody decided to go
ahead and pick on him by friend that right nowhere. Well,
unless everybody's trying to have like hot sports opinions because
they're doing these podcasts nowadays and athletes feel like they
have to say something crazy or or something like that,
I don't think, you know, once you're in there, it's
really really tough to play your way out.

Speaker 5 (48:22):
You know.

Speaker 1 (48:22):
That's like having bad super Bowl games or something to
that effect. So no, I don't think he's played his
way out. I still think he's a he's a Hall
of Famer, but it certainly has not been you know,
really nice years for him, what the last three or
four that's for sure, no doubt about that.

Speaker 2 (48:38):
I just I don't know where that came from. And
it was everywhere, you know, every every so often they'll be, uh,
there'll be that Richard Sherman, right, Is that what it was?
I think Sherman started it, yeah, and then Dan Patrick
was talking about it, and then all of a sudden,
you know, that kind of becomes an echo chamber where
everyone has an opinion on it. But I think I'm
with you on this one. It's kind of hard to
truly play your way out of it. I've lost my

(49:00):
Sunday Night football feed, Arnie and really just completely lost.
And it's showing. It's showing. I don't know if this
is a nationwide thing because I watch on an app,
so it's showing that the screen is showing Packers Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (49:16):
I still have my I'm still watching on team. Are
you watching on an app or you watching on the
actual channel. I'm watching on the actual channel, So see.

Speaker 2 (49:23):
I wonder if they're having I wonder if there's some
sort of app outage right now, because if it's my
intrawebs and I wouldn't even be seeing a screen at
all that would show me Sunday Night football Packers versus Cowboys.
Well that means you know who's in charge of play
by play from this point? No, don't say it, you know,
I do want to say this.

Speaker 1 (49:40):
They the Packers.

Speaker 3 (49:42):
You know that Jordan Love just threw incomplete and the
clock stopped with one second left in overtime.

Speaker 1 (49:47):
I would review that. I'm telling you it looked like
that was a short stop one second. I can't believe
this game's you know, in Dallas because it certainly looks
like in their favor. They didn't have a time they
didn't have a time out left, so he took too
much time to do it to the throw it to
the end zone. I'm saying to myself, you're not gonna
get a fourth down, You're not gonna have a chance
for a field goal. Look, he had stopped at one second.

(50:09):
That was incredible.

Speaker 3 (50:10):
The line of scrimmage was the sixteen, so they were
definitely in field goal range. They risked it with the
pass to the back of the end zone incomplete with
one second left. After the incompletion, they bring on Brandon McManus,
who tied it at the end of regulation with a
fifty three yarder. He's just tied it with a thirty
four yarder and the game is over. The final is
green Bay forty Dallas forty. According to my research, the

(50:34):
Dallas Cowboys have not had a game finish in a
tie since nineteen sixty nine.

Speaker 1 (50:40):
And I'm not going to make another prediction that you
sit the Niners when the game ended. If you look
at the bench, there's like four or five Packer players
sitting on the bench. I will bet you dollars to donuts.
Half of them didn't know that the game was over,
there was another overtime. They didn't know that the game
could ended the tie. They were sitting there going, okay,
let's keep it going. But that team had where are
they going?

Speaker 3 (51:00):
And each team had a long possession about five minutes
eas You can't do that each team with a field goal.
And for those who are unaware, it was the NFL
owners meetings in Florida in the offseason. It was the
proposal from the Eagles, let's make the regular season overtime
rules like the postseason overtime rules, where both teams get
a chance for a possession regardless of how the first

(51:21):
possession of ot goes. It used to be first possession
touchdown could end it. That's not the case anymore, which
will lead to more things like this. Because they kept
it at a ten minute overtime, you gotta do fifteen.
It also brought up the question of if you score
first a touchdown, do you go for two and really

(51:41):
put the pressure on the other guys which might only
have one possession. It turned out like I say, one
possession each tonight about five minutes each There goes your
ten minutes of overtime and forty forty is the final.

Speaker 1 (51:54):
Interesting tweet because you said this was a great game, Chris,
I thought it was, and Tiger Man said, great game,
but it ended in the biggest disappointment I've ever seen
because it did the end of the tie. That does
that mean it's no longer a great game because it
ended in a tie or what? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (52:09):
I mean, I still thought it was a great game.
I don't like it is a big disappointment.

Speaker 3 (52:15):
Very strange status. The Cowboys at home had no turnovers
and yet really didn't get the win. Here NFL saying
that teams in the Super Bowl era, so this is
going back almost sixty years, teams that scored forty points
or more with no turnovers at home had been three
hundred and oh until tonight a tie for Dallas.

Speaker 1 (52:37):
They go three hundred oh oh, my one. I love it.
I love it. But they covered the spread. They were
getting three and a half points. I think, Oh, that's right.
I didn't thought about that. There are vegas implications on
that as well, big time, big time.

Speaker 3 (52:52):
By the way, you were praising, Chris, the Jalen Tolbert
catch laden regulation where Dak Prescott was under immense pressure
and heaved it toward the goal line and the receiver
Tolbert came back from the end zone to somehow keep
both feet in at the sideline at the five. They
had to settle for the short field goal. But next
Genstats said the completion probability on that pass was seven percent,

(53:16):
and yet he completed it, second most improbable completion in
the decade or so of next Gen Stats.

Speaker 1 (53:22):
Oh that's crazy, that's wild.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
Well, congrat way to go. I don't even know what
to say after this one, Like do you as you say?

Speaker 1 (53:31):
Good job? I mean you would, but you didn't lose.

Speaker 3 (53:35):
Well, the good news for the Cowboys is their schedule
the next couple of weeks is at the Jets, at
the Panthers, so they don't go to one and three,
which is what you had talked about the fear of
for them early in this show. They're not one and three,
They're not one in three.

Speaker 1 (53:49):
But I think that hurts. Does the tie hurt them
more than Green Bay?

Speaker 2 (53:54):
Don't give me into this. Now you're gonna have my
head spinning.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
I'll have no idea. Well, I'm gonna say yes until
somebody he proves me wrong.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
Yeah, I just go with it. I don't think anyone's
gonna try to argue with you on that front.

Speaker 3 (54:04):
But yeah, well there's a lot of three and one
teams well and better like the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (54:09):
So we almost have.

Speaker 3 (54:11):
Our playoff teams right now. If it ended right now,
Green Bay would be the last team into the playoffs. Wow,
but at least they have the tie. You know, team
like Minnesota loss today unreal.

Speaker 1 (54:21):
In the NFC loaded in talent there that is wild.
Are you wanted some of these tweets real quick?

Speaker 2 (54:27):
We have a lot a lot final score forty to
forty for the numbers, nerd in you Jordan love Over
three hundred three thirty seven, three scores, Dak Presscott three
hundred nineteen yards, three touchdowns, two touchdowns for Josh Jacobs.
I also had four catches for seventy one yards. And yes,
Michael Parsons did get a sack in his return and.

Speaker 3 (54:48):
That was one of the key plays of the night
because that was the play where Dak Prescott went back
to pass. It counted as a sack because he was
back to pass and was racing on a scramble toward
the goal line and caught from behind by Parsons at
the four yard line and it winds up a tie.
Dallas settled for the short field goal on their overtime possession.

Speaker 1 (55:11):
How do you have forty forty after a guy after
a team blocks an extra point and he runs it
back for two? How does that turn? How does that
even come close?

Speaker 3 (55:20):
Dallas essentially quote won the game on that in the
first half because it should have been down fourteen to nothing.
Instead it was thirteen to two green Bay after the
two point run back by Dallas from so.

Speaker 2 (55:31):
Dumb question too, and how does that work for Shady
Seawan's parlay because he had the Packers.

Speaker 1 (55:39):
If its in a tie, is it'll go from a
seventeen or to a sixteen? Oh? Really? Yeah? So he
got paid some some some will do tie, but some
will say ties you win. But more than likely you'll
go from a seventeen or to US. I doubt that
they'll say sorry, this one you lose. I don't think
they'll do that to him.

Speaker 2 (56:00):
A Rod hits a sub and says, I had the
Cowboys money line plus two eighty and the Packers in
the game plus in game plus two hundred.

Speaker 1 (56:06):
The perfect edge.

Speaker 2 (56:07):
I guess, so I guess that works out. All right,
Let's hit some of these tweets. It's the best way
to get in touch with the program. Right before, Todd
Furman joins us, you can find us at Stinking Genius one.
I'm at Plank Show. Everybody go follow us at Fox
Sports Radio. A lot of hate for your Arizona Wildcats tonight,
Joe the Ghost ton of rites. I told you, Arnie,

(56:28):
all hate for your Wildcats, all capitalized to.

Speaker 1 (56:32):
That's that's anger right there. It's stung Chris because I
waited like all week for that game. I'm like, Oh,
this is the game, this is the game. We're gonna win.
We're gonna wake up the world. We're gonna we're gonna
get into the top ten. I'm gonna make the Segre
say and the Arizona Wildcat's top ten. And you know it,
as Ran.

Speaker 3 (56:52):
Two is right now, is Arizona state after this week?

Speaker 1 (56:55):
That's right?

Speaker 2 (56:56):
They thank you, number good question from Nick. Nick writes
the biggest loser of the week James Franklin, Brian Kelly Kirby, Smart,
Mike Norvel or the Mets, Oh Mets, and probably so right.

Speaker 3 (57:12):
That's a three hundred million dollars payroll. That's not going
to the playoffs with the.

Speaker 1 (57:16):
Best record too, like they did mid June.

Speaker 3 (57:19):
Have the best record.

Speaker 1 (57:20):
Oh in seventy when Trillion in the eighth inning the
only team not to come back and win a game.

Speaker 3 (57:26):
That stunning when you have a lineup with lindorm, Soto
and Alonso.

Speaker 1 (57:33):
Wow, now Pete's gone. You couldn't get out of New
York fast enough.

Speaker 3 (57:36):
Yeah? Is d is going to be back?

Speaker 7 (57:38):
This is this was.

Speaker 1 (57:40):
Our team's destroyed.

Speaker 2 (57:41):
And empowered by optimism rights. Thank god Miami didn't play today.
That's a good way to put it.

Speaker 1 (57:47):
It's true. It's true. At least I got that game
to look forward to tomorrow, so they get If the
Dolphins lose to the own three Jets tomorrow, I just
I can't do it anymore. I just can't do it.
I'm not sorry.

Speaker 3 (57:59):
Darren Waller back tomorrow, good question. Yes, it's due to
make his debut.

Speaker 1 (58:04):
Oh he is? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (58:06):
That does that mean I can pull him off my
bench in fantasy and finally put him in a lineup
if he's gonna do something.

Speaker 1 (58:10):
Yeah, I think Larry Zonka is coming back too.

Speaker 2 (58:12):
So maybe Mercury Morris lrip. All right, we'll get a break.

Speaker 1 (58:16):
We'll come back.

Speaker 2 (58:16):
When we come back, Todd Furman will join its. Reminder,
it's not just a game anymore, it's a once in
a generation event. The Harlem Globe Trotters one hundred Year Tour.
Come be a part of a legacy that never stops.
Be there when history is made. The Harlem Globe Trotter
is one hundred year Tour. Get your tickets today at
Harlem Globetrotters dot com. Todd Furman is next on Fox
Sports Radio. All right, it's already in Plank, coming to

(58:39):
your live from the Fox Sports Radio studios. We had
a doozy of a Sunday night football game that ended
in a tie. Todd Furman joined us straight out of Vegas.
Todd out of the books, usually handled ties. Do we
push everything? How does that work? Obviously, if a team
had to spread, they're gonna If they beat the spread,
they're gonna win. But as far as money line bets

(58:59):
and things nature and in parlays.

Speaker 9 (59:01):
You have money lines for refunds. But if you had
Dallas plus the points you cover with the game ending
right at forty a piece, and of course overbetters were
able to rejoice in what appeared to be a game
that was trending to be low scoring and very defensive
minded until the unusual sequence or Dallas scores two touchdowns
late in that first half, and it kind of set
the tone for the second half as it's felled a
little bit more like vintage Big twelve football defense optional

(59:23):
seven on seven, however you want to try and position it.
But playing before we get into some of the other
things we saw this weekend. Normally, normally we pick on Arni,
but I have to start with your Raiders. Is this
franchise ever going to find a way to get out
of its own way when it comes to late game
decision making and curious choices in win probability?

Speaker 2 (59:43):
Heartbreaking? Is it weird though that I'm also a little
bit excited about what Ashton Gent showed. They had no
business losing that game. They're never going to have a
home field environment there in Vegas. I mean, it's just
I'm heartbroken, but in the same Vein maybe Gent breaking
out makes me put a little on the one and
three wound.

Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
But what is what is Pete Carroll doing? Like what
exactly's going on there?

Speaker 9 (01:00:06):
It's a great question, because when the Bears have three
timeouts and you're running the ball, when the whole stadium
knows you're running, it's not a great play call, even
if you can run it down to three seconds in
attempt the game winning field goal as time expires, let alone,
even if Carlson makes that from fifty plus, the Bears
are going to get in a field goal range given
what we had seen from that Raiders secondary throughout the
entire fourth quarter. So why they're not playing to win

(01:00:27):
that football game with the play calling where they settled
for a field goal inside the ten and of course
trying to pick the first pick up the first down
to bleed the clock all the way down. I mean,
those are the kind of games that you have to
go out there and win. I mean, if Gino Smith
is even slightly below average, they win that football game.
But alast A Fromdly reminder, why there's the Raiders, and
now already we can pick on you because this time
last week you guaranteed me that Arizona would go into

(01:00:50):
ames Iowa you wouldn't need the points. Well, you're right,
you didn't need the points because you guys couldn't score
any against that cyclone.

Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
Oh Todd, it was. I was so disappointed that it
was never a game. I'm like, this never even a
game for grinding out loud. It was gilling me.

Speaker 9 (01:01:03):
No. I missed the field goal on the opening drive,
and from that point forward it completely snowballed. And what
could have been an amazing or optimistic start to the
season for your Wildcats looks like they could be mired
in mediocrity in that second or even third here in
the conference.

Speaker 1 (01:01:16):
Well, while we're picking on people, do I just have
to say Penn State, Well, I mean, Mike Goodness man
one in fifteen against top five, four and twenty one
against Top ten, fifteen and thirty against Top twenty five,
I think goes on and on and on. You talk
about and they're blaming the quarterback. Mike. Look, you've had
different quarterbacks through all these years. You can't be blaming

(01:01:37):
the quarterback. I We're on this one. Yeah, Look I'm
with you.

Speaker 9 (01:01:40):
I'll say it's the worst loss of the weekend in
college and pro football. For what we saw from Penn State.
You had everything lining up this season, with the amount
of returning starters, a veteran quarterback, a tandem of running
backs that would be the envy of most teams in
the country. You had a bye week going into your
biggest game at home, you had the white out working
in your favor at three tune ups against glorified FCS opponents,

(01:02:02):
if we want to look at it that way, And
here's Oregon coming into your building hitting you in the mouth.
But yet again, it's Penn State being ill prepared because
they play not to lose in these football games. I mean,
you can't come out there and try and run the ball.
When Drew Aller starts to play with a little bit
of pace and tempo, you see what that Penn State
offense can do. But yet again it's too little, too late,
and even when you need one stop from your defense,

(01:02:23):
it's a bit of a problem. Had this discussion with
some people close to the sport. I mean, if your
Penn State, what direction do you go from here? Because
who's the name that you think can get you to
that mountaintop, Because apparently you've already reached the ceiling. With
James Franklin as their bench boss. I mean, this was
the year for them, and now I think Penn State
becomes a playoff team. Afterthought, I just can't see this
team having championship Petigreer medal.

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
Well, I've always wondered, and again, I could sit here
and talk about this all night long. I've always wondered, like,
who is considered to be that dude? Every program has
a guy in their mind. They're like, just, whey do
we hire xyz guy? I'm going way back. Everyone always
saw Bill self was eventually going to be the head
coach at Oklahoma State or Kansas. Everyone thought at some

(01:03:07):
point that Tubby Smith was going to be the coach
at Kentucky John Calipari, and everyone always had the guy
who's going to come and save them At one point.
Maybe people thought it was going to be Matt Rule
at Penn State. Maybe some people thought it was going
to be Matt Campbell. But I mean, is there that
dude that's out there right now that you're just hey,
go get him because he can get it done. I
think that's kind of saving Franklin a little bit, right.

Speaker 9 (01:03:28):
I Mean, it's a great question and one of the
things you also have to be careful of if you're
a Penn State fan or or you're in that decision room,
you know, do you want to roll the dice and
go Okay, we realized that we could have a failure
as with the next head coach and potentially take a
step back. Or are we just going, hey, something has
to change because this is a guy that can't win
the national championship. Yeah, and honestly, I know he hasn't

(01:03:49):
a call. I know he doesn't have a national championship
on his resume. But the guy who I'd be looking
to make a call to would probably be Lane Kiffin
to breathe a little bit of life into that team offensively,
get that fan based excited and a guy who's proven
that he can win in the SEC albeit still looking
for you know, that big SEC title or something a
little bit more. But it begs the question, you know,

(01:04:09):
how they go about doing it?

Speaker 1 (01:04:10):
You know, is he the guy?

Speaker 9 (01:04:12):
Would they make a call to Indiana and try and
get Kurt Signetti over there? I'm not sure, but Penn
State has a lot of questions they have to answer,
especially if this team kissed struggles every time they step
up in class.

Speaker 1 (01:04:22):
What did you think about the Illinois went over USCA?
I was always shocked about that one.

Speaker 9 (01:04:26):
You know, pretty impressive bounce back, but we see it
all the time, I mean Illinois had their manhood questioned
losing sixty three to ten against Indiana. They got a
little healthier in the defensive backfield, they had the body
clock working in their favor, and even with two fumbles
inside the three yard line, they were able to take
advantage of questionable clock management from Lincoln Riley in the
final two minutes, get themselves in position and kick a

(01:04:47):
game winning field goal. But at the same time, and
I'm sure Oklahoma fans took a little bit of glory
in this, I mean, Lincoln Riley gave usc every built
in excuse to lose that football team. You can't complain
about having the latest kickoff on Saturday night against Michigan
State and then having an early kickoff. The school made
the decision to go into the Big Ten Conference. You
knew the travel that was going to be associated with it.

(01:05:08):
There's a reason you're getting paid what you're getting paid.
Don't make excuses for your players, because it sure looked
like those guys weren't ready to go with a kickoff
at about what felt like at nine o'clock nine am.
Body clock time off for the kids in the West Coast.

Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
One final college football note. Isn't it wild to have
to adjust this thinking todd Where you lose a game,
you know, four or five years ago, it's I got
season's over. Now you look at Alabama, they lost that
opener to Florida State, and suddenly you're like, well, they
might be really good. You saw a Tennessee bounce back
and go to overtime, I think double overtime to beat

(01:05:40):
Missippi State, and they look pretty good bouncing back from Georgia.
And oh, by the way, Florida State has lost the
game to Virginia and suddenly where you're like, oh, Florida
State's done. Maybe not so fast, see if they can't
bounce back. It's taken me a while to adjust to
this whole new way of thinking in college football.

Speaker 1 (01:05:56):
I like it.

Speaker 9 (01:05:56):
I think it gives love it, teams a mull again,
you know, even if you lose times. It's not like
we think winning a Super Bowl is a diminished accomplishment
in the National Football League and teams lose three, four, five,
six games before they HOISTI Lombardi Trophy. And I think
these college teams, all, you know, get better as a
season progresses and as these conference schedules start to expand,
it gets tougher and tougher for some of these p fours.

(01:06:17):
We'll see how a lot of that talent continues to
get dispersed. But it's refreshing when you look at a
top twenty five ranking and you see a team like
Texas Tech elevens in the country. You know, Old Miss
top five along with the perennial powers, but Indiana, Vanderbilt,
Georgia Tech. I mean, the list goes on and on
for teams that are going to have an opportunity to
go out there on the field and not just make
it into a four team playoff, but get into a

(01:06:38):
twall team playoff and know that one loss isn't going
to be the end of their season entirely. And look,
I'll make a case right now from what I've seen offensively,
and I know they've already been saddled with two losses.
Who would want to see Notre Dame opposite them on
the football field in December? The way CJ. Carr is
going to continue to mature, I'll make a case that
that may be the best offense in the country by
the time we get to November and December.

Speaker 1 (01:06:57):
The best bet I'd made over the weekend. I took
the over two and a half over two and a
half on Rory's saying the F word. It made it easily.
It was a was a piece of cake, Todd, You
know what I mean?

Speaker 9 (01:07:08):
Well, look, I think there's got to be some class.
I know, you know, it's not a traditional golf event,
and we see it sometimes, but there's got to be
a little bit more class in decorum, even from the fans.
You can't just kind of let everybody out of their
cage and this kind of event. And credit for Team
USA for trying to stage a comeback today, but what
we saw from them leading up to you know, match
play on Sunday was downright disparaging and a little bit

(01:07:31):
disappointing for the second straight Ryder Cup. I mean, they
kind of get run out of the building and I
think there's a little bit of soul searching mask to
go on from that team.

Speaker 2 (01:07:38):
Hey, Todd, are we teams that I wasn't necessarily buying
stock in that Suddenly I look and I think they
might be Okay, what do we make of the Jaguars?
They got a little spunk. I mean, you got their
coach talking trash after the game. They they take care
of San Francisco today, Suddenly suddenly you look at that
division and you know, maybe Houston's not what we thought
they were. Indianapolis loses today, I mean Jacksonville maybe a

(01:08:00):
team you need to be keeping an eye on.

Speaker 9 (01:08:02):
They're forcing turnovers at a rate that I don't think
is quite sustainable, and it's masking some of what the
offense isn't doing right now. I mean, Trevor Lawrence still
working to grasp Leon Cohen's offense, get on the same
page as number one wide receiver and Brian Thomas Junior.
And you know the great part about that, a week
from tomorrow, we're going to know exactly what this Jacksonville
Jaguars team may be capable of because the Baltimore Ravens

(01:08:23):
defense wakes up a lot of offenses and the first
time all season the Chiefs look like themselves. That makes
for one of the more entertaining early season Monday night
games that will get between Kansas City and Jacksonville to
see if the Jags are for real or if we
should already be penciling penciling Kansas City in for front
row seats to see bad money performing at halftime in
Santa Clara in early February.

Speaker 1 (01:08:41):
Last think, Tom, I'm just curious, should I maybe go
out on a little bit of a limb And I'm
looking up the odds twenty five to one on Jackson
Dart being the rookie of the year or is it
too much of a long shot on that one.

Speaker 9 (01:08:56):
Well, if you're seeing twenty five to one, I don't
know where you're looking right now for the price, because
he was four to one going into the game today.

Speaker 1 (01:09:02):
Get out of here, Get out unless the unless.

Speaker 9 (01:09:05):
The odds completely fell off a cliff, or you have
a book maker up on your next woods. It's not
moving numbers. Jackson Dart was about fifteen or twenty to
one at this time last week once he was announced
as a starter. Coming into this week, we saw that
number kind of drift into the single digits. Admittedly have
not checked the odds to see how they've adjusted after
what I thought was a workman like performance. But went
out there, used his legs, use his arm, did enough

(01:09:27):
with a Giants team that's a little bit limited for weapons,
especially now with Molik Neighbors being lost for the season.

Speaker 1 (01:09:32):
This was April. This was from April mile. Yeah, I
say that's a little bit old.

Speaker 9 (01:09:35):
Clip play my gosh, revision's history from Arnie when he
looks at odds that have since moved.

Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
About four or five done, But I got excited.

Speaker 9 (01:09:43):
I had a narrative getting the way of a good
story and that arm you're trying to spin here on
the Sunday, I'm.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
Like, twenty five to what I go, maybe I should
get a little bit of the money, not on Jackson
Dart and twenty five to what might not be too
bad there?

Speaker 3 (01:09:56):
You know?

Speaker 9 (01:09:56):
Yeah, once you build that time machine you let me know.
And more than happy to write.

Speaker 2 (01:10:01):
In thanks to talk to you next say thanks for
the extra time.

Speaker 1 (01:10:05):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (01:10:05):
Be sure to check out Draft Kings Sportsbook. It's the
official sports betting partner of the NFL and official sports
betting partner of the NFL. Right now, use the promo
code Fox Game. That's Fox Game to claim your special
offer it Draft Kings, Draft Kings the Crown as yours.
Don't forget that's promo code Fox Game. He is Steve
di Seger with the second highest scoring tie in NFL history.

Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
Did I see that right? Unbelievable?

Speaker 3 (01:10:29):
That is correct. It was a forty to forty tie
Green Band at Dallas. It was an odd one. Apparently
in the AFL there was a forty three all tie
nineteen sixty four Oakland Raiders against the Boston Patriots. So yeah,
second half scoring tie in the end a nice try, Arnie.
The Cowboys, as we mentioned earlier, had not played a

(01:10:51):
tie game since nineteen sixty nine. There was no overtime
back in the sixties, so this is the first time
the Dallas Cowboys have played in overtime tie ever. Dak
Press got three touchdown passes, two to George Pickens, Jordan
Love of Green Bay three touchdown passes all the Romeo
Dobbs Packers had tied the game at the end of
regulation on a fifty three yard field goal. And a

(01:11:12):
little context. Green Bay entered with a two to one record,
having allowed only about fifteen points a game, and they
were dominating Dallas's offense the first quarter and a half.
Cowboys only had one first down at the time, Packers
had a thirteen to two lead late in the first half.
The two turned out to be ridiculously important, as Dallas
got the two points running back a blocked extra point

(01:11:34):
in the first half. We'll get to other NFL details
in about five ten minutes, but suffice to say wins
for Kansas City and Jacksonville, today, for Chicago and for
the La Rams with a late a couple of late touchdowns.
Arkansas fired head coach Sam Pittman. Bobby Petrino takes over
as interim coach. He's just never going to Oklahoma State

(01:11:55):
fired defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. Oregon is up to number
two in the new College Football runankings, behind number one
Ohio State. Miami is number three, Ole Miss up to
number four, Oklahoma is number five in the APA POL
Penn State fell sooners. Penn State fell to a nice try.
Penn State fell to number seven. Alabama is up to

(01:12:15):
number ten, Georgie is down to twelve, LSU thirteen, Florida
State down to eighteen, Virginia is in at number twenty
four in the country, and Arizona State is number twenty five.
That's Arizona State, not not that team. Chase Elliott took
the NASCAR race at Kansas. Denny Hamlin finished second. He
led the most laps. Europe held on to win the

(01:12:36):
Ryder Cup against the US golfers fifteen to thirteen. It
led by seven points to start the day on Long Island.
Europe's golfers have won nine of the last twelve Ryder Cups.
They dominated Friday and Saturday. The US was facing the
largest deficit by any team entering singles in fifty years
in the WNBA semifinals. Indiana State alive. They're tied two

(01:12:57):
games apiece in the best of five semis after beating
Las Vegas, Asia Wilson thirty one points in defeat Phoenix
at Hall eliminated Minnesota eighty six eighty one. Of course,
Minnesota's coach was not there if you saw her reaction
to the officiating last game. The championship. The best of
seven finals will be starting in the next week, and
we did have the end of the Major League Baseball

(01:13:19):
regular season. Guardians clinch. The AL Central Blue Jays won
to clinch. The AL East Met's got shut out. Their
season is over, so the Reds, even with a loss today,
they get the final in a wildcard spot. It will
be the Reds at the Dodgers starting Tuesday night in
a best of three wildcard series. Two of the best
Reds pitchers are La Natives Nicoldolo Hunter green Back to.

Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
You, Yeah, that'll work out well for the Dodgers. I
just see disaster in this first round for some reason.

Speaker 3 (01:13:46):
And Gavin Lucks ex Dodger in a red That's right,
lu Starter, he was starting second basement in the World
Series to open, you know, the Freddie Freeman game last
year against the Yanks for the Dodgers won the World
Series with him in twenty two.

Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
Also, all right, thank Steve. We got more to saga
coming up here in just a bit. Before we grab
a break, though, I want to remind you that this,
my friends, isn't just a game. It's a once in
a generation event, not just a lifetime a generation event.

You know what I would have loved. I would have
loved if they would have gone back and reviewed because
I my my app went out right on that final play.
I'm kind of with you, Arnie. I think they should
have reviewed that time wise, it looked like it.

Speaker 1 (01:14:37):
Was it just stopped there.

Speaker 2 (01:14:39):
Yeah, just unbelievable. That would have been a wild bad
break for the Green Bay Packers. But toughbeat and they
end up with a tie tonight forty all. I don't
even know what to say except there was a great game.
And then when it finishes at forty all, everyone kind
of looks around at each other and it's like, all right,
well that was fun. Talk to you guys later.

Speaker 1 (01:14:57):
Now what do yeah, what does it do for Survivor?
Are you out if you had you're eliminated if you
took one of the teams. Oh man, that stings. Tough break.
Oh yeah, I can't imagine you taking this game is
so early on in your Survivor pool, but you never know.

Speaker 2 (01:15:13):
Yeah, you're probably still going against like the Saints and
the Tinton snow Fish front early while you can't.

Speaker 1 (01:15:18):
All right, quick break.

Speaker 2 (01:15:19):
When we come back, we'll hit all the use loose
notes from today, kind of a couple hanging chads and
a lot of really good tweets that we've got to
spend more time on as we roll on with Arnie
and Plank on Fox Sports Radio. Such a wild note man,
as we welcome you back, Arnie and Plank Here on
a Fox Football Sunday, Fox Sports Sunday, Steve Disager comes

(01:15:41):
rolling in and we've talked quite a bit tonight about
like disappointments, disappointing watching the game end and a tie,
disappointing performance by the Raiders. But guys, James Franklin is
now four and twenty one against teams are AAP top
ten team.

Speaker 1 (01:15:58):
It's unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
Unbelievable saying that's a lot of chances for starters.

Speaker 2 (01:16:04):
Yeah, that's exactly exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:16:06):
And it's also the home losses when it's top ten matchups,
like you're in the top ten, not just the opponent
is well. As far as NFL, I don't want to
put this in the disappointment category. Philadelphia didn't do much
on offense, you know, to warrant thirty one points today,
but there's still four and oh they were up thirty

(01:16:26):
one to thirteen at Tampa Bay late third quarter, thirty
one to twenty five the final. In fact, the Eagles
did not complete a pass in the second half. Apparently
it's been two years since an NFL team won a
game without completing a pass in the second half, and
that was the Raiders Christmas win against the Chiefs in
twenty twenty three, but the offense with only two hundred

(01:16:47):
total yards seven punts. They had eight penalties in this win.
They did get the early TD on a blocked punt return.
In fact, the Eagles four and oh for the third
time in the last four years. Remember they ended last
week with the blocked fuel goal touchdown early today block
punt touchdown. Buffalo is four to oh first time in
five years. And they've also, by the way, won fourteen

(01:17:10):
straight home games in the regular season and have scored
at least twenty four in each game. Josh Allen three
total touchdowns thirty one nineteen. The final over New Orleans,
which is still winless and Saints quarterback Spencer Ratler for
his pro career now oh to ten.

Speaker 1 (01:17:26):
But they're playing tough. Was a good game.

Speaker 3 (01:17:28):
It was surprisingly close, and they actually forced a turnover
first half. There was an interception. Buffalo had had no
turnovers the last eight games dating back to last year.
More excitement in the NFL this weekend, even if we
did only get a tie tonight, but this is now
eleven games on one NFL weekend that were within one
score in the fourth quarter. Tonight's went to overtime. We

(01:17:51):
had late wins for the Rams. For the Bears, we
had the Seattle finish on Thursday night, and we've got
two more games coming up tomorrow, so who knows oh
and three Jets aid oh and three Miami and then
at Cincinnati at Denver tomorrow night. They were just stagger
the start times. It's not three hours apart or I
love it.

Speaker 1 (01:18:11):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (01:18:11):
You must have loved the early morning today as.

Speaker 1 (01:18:14):
I did absolutely fantastic six.

Speaker 3 (01:18:16):
Thirty times in Dublin Pittsburgh Hill on twenty four to
twenty one over Minnesota. Now, Aaron Rodgers was eighteen of
twenty two passing. That's over eighty eighty percent completions and
he did have a touchdown. DK Metcalf had the TV
five receptions one hundred and twenty six yards. Now interesting

(01:18:37):
when they dove into the next gen stats, he was
getting the ball out very quickly in this Pittsburgh game.
Today they consider a quick throw when you get rid
of it in under two and a half seconds. Rodgers
was recording an average time of under two point two
seconds for the whole game, and it was just short passes,
continuing to move down the field a lot of completions.

(01:18:57):
Steelers were up twenty four to six with eight minutes
to go, so twenty four to twenty one the final
justin Jefferson in the lost ten catches one hundred twenty
six yards. This guy has had a one hundred yard
receiving game already thirty five times in his career. To
do that in your first six seasons, the record is
Randy Moss, who had thirty eight such games. And congrats

(01:19:20):
to Drake May getting not just the win for New England,
he got it against Carolina. This is a guy who's
a North Carolina native and was a huge Panthers fan
growing up. His Patriots beat Carolina forty two to thirteen. Today.
Crazy Drake May had two touchdown passes. He had a
touchdown run and gave it the old celebration like Cam
Newton with the s on the chess afterwards. Patrick Mahomes

(01:19:44):
had four touchdown passes and Casey's went against Baltimore thirty
seven to twenty. And Xavier Worthy is back from the
dislocated shoulder. He had five catches eighty three yards. The
Ravens are one and three They've had the league's worst
defense early season. They're now allowing twenty three points a game.
Casey got even more than that tonight. Brock Perty returned

(01:20:04):
at San Francisco after the toe injury, two touchdowns but
three turnovers as he threw for three hundred yards. Jacksonville
beat the Niners twenty six to twenty one. Even though
the Jaguars had twelve penalties, they did have a touchdown
on an eighty seven yard punk return a late third quarter,
and the Niners had four total turnovers. Ricky Piersoll, San

(01:20:25):
Francisco young wide receiver left with a knee injury. The
Rams win was on an eighty eight yard touchdown pass
with under two minutes to go, beating the Colts twenty
seven to twenty. The hero late to two at Well.
It was his only catch. Colts had eleven penalties, three turnovers,
and Colts wide receiver Adena Mitchell blew a seventy six
yard TD in the third quarter when he celebrated early

(01:20:49):
and fumbled the ball through the end zone. The Colts
lost by a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:20:54):
And it would really suck if they lost by Oh
my gosh, they lost by a touchdown. Hey, guys, it's
once in a lifetime, once in a generation event. Harlem
Globe Trotter is one hundred year Tour. Can be a
part of a legacy that never stops. Be there when
history is made. The Harlem Globe Trotter is one hundred

Harlem globetrotters dot com. What we learned this week in
the NFL. Next, All right, there we go, fuddle hours.

Speaker 1 (01:21:23):
Let's go in plake. What do you call it? The
power hours? The power hour. By the way, I didn't
tell you I had dinner with Bernie over the weekend.
Oh nice, Yeah, well not over the on Wednesday. He
was paying, Oh he was paying. So we went to
someplace where I picked the restaurant that was really expensive,
and then I ordered the petite steak and he's like,

(01:21:46):
what are you doing, man, don't get the petite steak,
get the real one. And I didn't have a chance
to explain why I was getting the petite steak, but
I'm like, okay, because I was ordering three entrees. So
I said, fine, give me three. I said, give me
the to give me the big steak. Then I got
the lasagna and then I got the big Caesar salad
with chicken so and I split that with my wife,

(01:22:09):
so two and a half entres plus booze boy. I
ran up that bill on him. I'll never take me
to dinner again, that's for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:22:16):
Why would you want to set it up where you
would have a friend that takes you to dinner and
you would do it on purpose?

Speaker 1 (01:22:24):
I mean I was kind of hungry. What do you
want me to say? Look, I didn't know the restaurant
was that Pricey.

Speaker 2 (01:22:30):
Said that you looked up the most expensive restaurant you can.

Speaker 7 (01:22:35):
There.

Speaker 1 (01:22:35):
I had my brother in law pick a place for me,
and I should have known. But he's very rich. He
went to a place that like only rich, rich, famous
people go to. Well, there you go. How was it.
You have a good time? Oh yeah, it was delicious. Man,
it was awesome. We had a good time out.

Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
There, So said Bernie. Take did he just come for
the fun of it? Did he come just to see you?

Speaker 1 (01:22:55):
Probably just came to see me. Yeah, probably sound well
because you know, Brian know's been out to see me,
bed Mal has been out. You're the only person that
the twelve years doing the show, and you'd never want
to see me.

Speaker 2 (01:23:05):
Yeah, probably won't either. There's a lot of fun things
to get into from the NFL today. So as we
do to kick off the final hour of the show,
week four, NFL in the books after week four, we
know this, I'll go ahead and start. Yeah, Captain obvious
statement one of those that I bring up quite a
bit on this program. It sucks for this show because

(01:23:27):
we have to be kind of knee jerky, but it's
a week to week league, and every single week it
gets proven. Last week you had the Packers lose to
the Browns. You had the Carolina Panthers look like a
Super Bowl contender, while the Washington Commanders with a backup
quarterback look like that they weren't going to skip a beat.
And oh, by the way, the Chargers were undefeated and cooking.

(01:23:49):
This week, a winless Giants team beats the Chargers. The
Panthers get quarterback forty two to thirteen, while the Commanders,
I mean listening with some points up late, but pretty
much get smoked by that same Falcons team that got
embarrassed by Carolina the week before. I don't know how
you gamblers do it. I don't know, Bernie, how you

(01:24:09):
do it where you can afford it. By Arnie the
Big Steak. Don't look now, but the Ravens might stink.
They were blown out today by the by the Baltimore,
by the Kansas City Chiefs. Like it's a week to
week league, Arnie. It's it's awesome but also in raging
at the same time.

Speaker 1 (01:24:26):
Well, that's that's what I was gonna you just said
on one of the things I was gonna say to
you after week four. I know this. It is o
v er for the Baltimore Ravens. It's done. So that
is it. By the way, I didn't get to hear that.
I was watching the Red Zone channel, so when they
benched Lamar Jackson, I thought it was a benching. Now

(01:24:47):
they're saying that CBS reported that that had something to
do with his hamstring. I'm not saying hamstring injury. Yeah,
I just know if the game was closer, I don't
think he would have been taken out of the game
or he would have left the game. But they're one
in three right now, and I don't think it's going
to happen for them, Chris. They just look like a
mere shadow of themselves.

Speaker 2 (01:25:08):
There's no doubt about that. Yeah, And I don't know.
I don't know what's going on. This was a team
that you used to fear defensively, and it's just it's unacceptable.
I mean, from what the raven standard is. I don't
know if the defensive coordinator change has rocked them that
much over the last couple of seasons or what. But Arnie,

(01:25:30):
I mean, listen, Kansas City. I think even the most
ardent Chiefs fan will tell you they look pretty pedestrian
offensively right from the last year and a half or something. Yeah,
and then to go out and do that against the Ravens.
Granted it was at home, right, so I mean, I
guess you factor that in.

Speaker 1 (01:25:48):
And they got Worthy back, so that is a little
bit helpful.

Speaker 2 (01:25:51):
But I mean, two seventy four scores, five catches for
eighty three yards for Xavier Worthy.

Speaker 1 (01:25:57):
I just donet real.

Speaker 2 (01:25:58):
Hey, after a week's what are we on four? After
week four?

Speaker 1 (01:26:01):
I know this.

Speaker 2 (01:26:03):
I like the new overtime rules, but we still need
to do something. We can't have games ending in ties.
I get it, it's very rare. I don't want to
Let's see, what did you use earlier? That was a
random analogy that I had to google up because I
hadn't heard it in a long time. A dollar to
donuts or something. You dropped that earlier in the show. Now,
I don't want to throw the baby out with the

(01:26:24):
bathwater if we can use all these old analogies on
the program. But I'll say this much, I don't. I mean,
but we doally know how to act after a game
that ends in it tie messes with the standings all
year long. You're trying to figure out, Okay, what does
it tie do in this gambling sensitive world. It messes
with parlays and survivor polls. It's kind of ridiculous. I

(01:26:45):
don't know if it's adding five more minutes onto the
clock and making it a fifteen minute overtime Arnie. But
as fun as it is, we can't have games ending
and ties. I like both teams getting a possession, but
I feel like it needs to be reworked a little
bit more.

Speaker 1 (01:26:57):
Well, ten minutes is too short, Like I said, I
think it used to be twelve, not fifteen. When they
hit overtime and they wanted to cut the last two
minutes out again for safety reasons, I think that was
a big mistake. No, it was safety, they said, But
I can tell you once they cut out the two minutes,
you heard announcers bringing it up how it was too short,

(01:27:18):
There's not enough time you could see it was really
making an impact on the game, just those two minutes alone.
So I'd have to agree with him. I just don't
like that at all. Was if we put it back on,
maybe we can see the difference. But the two minutes
does make a difference, especially when there's when there's gonna
be ties out there right after Week four. I know this,

(01:27:39):
and I didn't have to wait till now. Jackson Dart
my friend, My goodness, man. I saw a little bit
of them in preseason, and he's the real deal. He's
going to be the starting quarterback for the Giants for
the next fifteen years. Would just say, give or take,
he is going to be everything. I love what I see.
I'm not gonna get too crazy just because he beat

(01:28:01):
the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (01:28:02):
Well, he just said he's going to be the starting
quarterback for the next fifteen years, So I see that's
getting a little crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:28:07):
Well, I just love him. I think he's gonna be
around for a long long time. Chris, I like him.

Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
I like him too. I think he's a really good quarterback.
Let's see what happens whenever teams are able to adjust
to him. Now they see a little bit of him.
He's lost myleak neighbors, right, but that's gonna be a
killer that hurts. I think he's off to a really
good start. I'm excited to see what he can become.
And you could since Brian day Ball realize the importance
of it. They needed not just to win, but they
needed him to look good. And listen, the numbers aren't

(01:28:35):
going to be jaw dropping. I mean, if I were
to tell you that Jackson Dart threw for one hundred
and eleven yards nine out of ten times, aren't he
be like, gosh, he must suck. He stayed terrible, right.
He was sacked five times too, but they got it done.

Speaker 1 (01:28:48):
He ran a lot more than I thought he was.
The over runner on him rushing was six or six
and a half. He rushed ten times. Yardage wise, it
was like thirty two. I think he had fifty four yeap.
So I heard it the guys this morning talking about
betting the over.

Speaker 2 (01:29:02):
Ten carries fifty four yards five point four per and
a touchdown running the football. By the way, I will
add one more thing. Kim Kim skataboo kind of a dog.
I like him a lot. I mean I didn't know
what his game would translate to the NFL. Now he's
only averaging, you know, I don't even think he's at
four yards per carry. But they gave him the ball
twenty five times today, So I mean, how's that.

Speaker 1 (01:29:25):
Guy gonna make it? I mean, he's just taking shots already.
We're four games in. I don't even know he's gonna
make it a year yet, alone a career. He's my goodness, man,
he's just taking a pounding in there after a week four.
I know this.

Speaker 2 (01:29:39):
I watched a lot of football yesterday and today, and
I know we need jerk quite a bit on this show.
We've buried this guy many times, and I watch his
former school kind of suck. Now, while it's former, former
school's pretty awesome. But people tried to bury Caleb Williams
too quick. Now, he wasn't, by any stretch of the imagination, amazing,

(01:30:00):
but he didn't get a ton of help. He was
running for his life all day long, right, and the
Raiders try to do everything they could to keep the
Bears in that game. I think Gino Smith just threw
another interception, but Bears are two and two. Caleb Williams
is looking like that guy. I think it's signed for
Arnie to apologize.

Speaker 7 (01:30:18):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:30:18):
I think it's signed for all you haters and doubters
to realize it's going to take a while. Ben Johnson.
I think they're a playoff team right now. And listen,
that's a tough division. Packers just ended in a tie.
Lions looked like whatever was bothering them in the preseason,
and then in Week one looks like they're gonna be
okay right now. We'll see about the Vikings when JJ

(01:30:38):
McCarthy comes back, but I think the Bears are going
to be a problem, and I think Caleb Williams is
the reason. He's really impressive today. I don't want to
say game manager, but he managed the game well where
usually be running around for his life and taking fifteen
yard losses. But Bears look good.

Speaker 1 (01:30:54):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:30:54):
They had no business winning that game today, and the
Raiders had no business being in that game today, if
that makes any sense.

Speaker 1 (01:31:00):
Somebody out, but somebody.

Speaker 2 (01:31:02):
Had to win it, and Williams made one more play
than the Raiders after Week four.

Speaker 1 (01:31:06):
I know this, and this is a record, Chris. We've
never had two divisions already decided.

Speaker 2 (01:31:12):
Well, you said most of them are decided in the presets.

Speaker 1 (01:31:15):
But now it's a final. The Philadelphia Eagles have clinched
the NFC East, so they're done with their two game
lead over the Washington Commanders. Forget about Dallas and the Giants.
They're not going to even be in that race. So
congratulations to Philadelphia, and congratulations to the Buffalo Bills who
quinched the AFC East.

Speaker 2 (01:31:35):
That's got hurt.

Speaker 1 (01:31:36):
Well, what did you say, who got hurt? That one's
got hurt for you? Yeah, that does hurt. I mean,
considering the Jets and the Dolphins are both OZ and three,
they're not going to be in that division, and the
Patriots are just going to fall off the side, so
maybe they'll be like eight to nine, nine and eighteen.
Bills already have won that division. So two divisions already
clinched in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:31:56):
Can I just ask you a random question. We've done
this show together for a while aile, now, Yeah, what
is your infatuation with wanting to end division races so early?

Speaker 1 (01:32:07):
There's no infatuations. Just you do it every year.

Speaker 2 (01:32:10):
Truth, But no, no, no, no, I'm just saying every
year in the preseason, it's like a six divisions are
over and you tell you have it in the Remannumill
Rundown every week you want in divisions two weeks into
the season, right, I look.

Speaker 1 (01:32:23):
At every division. It's like I'm in everyone right now.

Speaker 2 (01:32:25):
It looks looks like But I'm just saying it's it's
like this thing with you. I don't know why. It's like, oh,
I'll tell you what, this division's over? Can yeah, go ahead?

Speaker 1 (01:32:33):
Mary Mack. I think he's just personally, I think he's bored,
and I think he's ratuating. You think so.

Speaker 2 (01:32:39):
You think he's just trying to get people.

Speaker 1 (01:32:42):
Am I wrong that Philadelphia with a two game lead
over Washington, that that division's over? Are you serious? Right now?
You're wrong?

Speaker 2 (01:32:49):
They look good.

Speaker 1 (01:32:51):
Our Patriot fans on the line mad at me because
I said the Bills have won that division.

Speaker 2 (01:32:55):
Well, you're a Dolphins fan, so you should be mad
at yourself for saying that. Right now they haven't even
they Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (01:33:00):
What's happened?

Speaker 5 (01:33:01):
When tomorrow and then they beat Carolina or right back
in it baby, exactly, and seeing that the Eagles have
played all of one game within their own division, I
don't think I'm ready to anything, right, I was going.

Speaker 1 (01:33:11):
To say this after four weeks. I know this Philadelphia
is the worst four to no team in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:33:19):
Yeah, it's just completely you are right.

Speaker 1 (01:33:21):
No offensively look offense are Defensively, they do have me worried.
They just don't look as crisp as as they usually do.
I am worried about them a little bit. Well.

Speaker 2 (01:33:32):
They also I don't think they've looked this crisp offensively.
Special teams have been good for him so far.

Speaker 1 (01:33:38):
Barkley has just been average at best this year. I mean,
what you expect.

Speaker 2 (01:33:43):
The dude ran for two thousand yards last year.

Speaker 1 (01:33:46):
I don't think he's had more than sixty or seventy
yards in the game this year.

Speaker 2 (01:33:50):
Right, I mean, it's he's he, but he's at Jalen
Hurts has looked pretty good whenever he's run the ball
at times. But I don't know, man, I don't have
an answer for you except that I didn't expect him
to match that. Hurts ran the ball for sixty two
yards today, So maybe getting that quarterback run game is
kind of taken a little bit away from one.

Speaker 1 (01:34:09):
Saquon Barkley. I got one more. By the way, there's
gonna be some just real quick. There's gonna be some
really good teams that are gonna miss out on the
playoffs in the NFC. That so it's going to be
a dogfight. Like you said, I mean as of not
like Minnesota, Atlanta aras Minnesota a good team. I don't
think they are. I don't know, man, I have no idea.

Speaker 2 (01:34:32):
I get it that JJ McCarthy is out, but even
when JJ McCarthy was in, they were pretty awful. I
mean they it took really I mean, Joe Burrow going
down to roll them, and the Bears gave them week one.
I mean, I get they're they're like the Broncos and
no offense Patrick, but they're like the Broncos. Everyone falls

(01:34:52):
in love with him, I don't I don't know what
it is, and maybe it's because the coach is nice
to people, maybe because they think he's a good looking guy.
I don't know, but everyone in love with him, and
then they're just kind of mediocre. I'm not really all
that sold on Minnesota right now. I don't know, outside
of blowing out the Bengals without Joe Burrow, I don't
know what they've done in the resume so far where
you would think.

Speaker 1 (01:35:12):
That well, coming in and we thought they were gonna
be like one of the teams to fight out in
that division. That's why he said a good team is
gonna make the play Atlanta too. I thought they were
gonna win the division. Arizona maybe no big surprise, Chicago
is gonna make a run. Washington would not be in
it right now. They're double.

Speaker 2 (01:35:33):
They've also played two games without their starting quarterback, so
that's I think that factors in as well. It's pretty awesome,
even though they destroy the Raiders in the one game
that they had without them in in in Vegas. One
other thing after well, heading into the final two games
of Week four, I know this. I think tomorrow is
kind of a make or break game. And you brought

(01:35:53):
this up earlier for Cincinnati to see what they're gonna do.
I mean, if I think if they if they find
a way to and Browning doesn't play well, and they
come out of that game three and one and Jake
browningstone a couple of picks and their defense does a
good job, aren't I think I might be in that
camp of starting to look around. If it's a maybe
you call it, Lanta, say hey, well you want for
Kirk Cousins. Maybe it is. You brought up Russell Wilson earlier.

(01:36:15):
And I don't know if Wilson's an upgrade over Jake
Browning right now, but I think that's gonna be a
big game. And I say late, it's the second kickoff,
it's not. It's eight fifteen Eastern, seven to fifteenth Central.
But I think if they win, and it's a game
where they win and Jake Browning doesn't play all that
well and turns the ball over a couple of times,
I think you could see them suddenly be in that

(01:36:37):
category where they're going to make a move and try
to go get a quarterback.

Speaker 1 (01:36:40):
You certainly don't want to give up on the year.
It's just way too early and exactly even if Burrows
comes back or doesn't come back, you've you've got to
go ahead, position yourself to go ahead and do something
this year. I think I would go after Russell Wilson.
I know you go after Wilson over Cousins. Well, I
like Cousins too. Maybe I mean, I guess it would
depend how much I have to pay for these guys.

Speaker 2 (01:36:59):
You know, well what you're gonna have to pay a
lot for Kirk Cousins because of his deal.

Speaker 1 (01:37:05):
But you also, I mean.

Speaker 2 (01:37:07):
You're also looking at a lot of money already investing
in that position to begin with with with Burrow. So
what can you really go out and do as far
as campus exactly? Yeah, so you're gonna have to go
on the chief on that. I don't know, it might
be pointless even bring it up with the numbers, But
I just I think if they win and you brought
it up, no one looks like they're gonna run away
with that division.

Speaker 1 (01:37:27):
I think you might be.

Speaker 2 (01:37:28):
If he doesn't play well, you might be looking at
something different at the quarterback position. But we'll see nothing
on after heading into Monday night. What you know about
your Dolphins nothing at all.

Speaker 1 (01:37:37):
You know, they have to win. I mean, if they lose,
they're actually the worst team in the NFL. It's the
battle of the worst teams in the NFL. Except for
maybe the Saints. There two own three teams. You can't
lose to the Jets at home. You just can't do that.
I expect a monster game out of the Dolphins. I
expect them to win by a couple of touchdowns, but
their defense is just so terrible.

Speaker 2 (01:37:57):
Monster monster game. Hi Rod Taylor tomorrow night. Or do
we have an update on Justin Fields Fields v.

Speaker 1 (01:38:06):
Two?

Speaker 2 (01:38:06):
Oh gosh, just the matchup dreams are made of? All right,
when we come back to the Fox Sports Radio studios,
Arnie s fixer right around the corner and your tweets. Reminder, though,
this isn't just a game, it's once in a generation event.

(01:38:28):
dot Com. Right around the corner too, to Sagre's update,
which will recap all the games of Week four next
right here on Fox Sports Radio. All right, let's hit
some of these tweets. Arnie and Plank coming to you
live from the Fox Sports Radio Studios. You can always
follow us on Twitter at Stinking Genius one. I'm at
Plank Show and everybody should follow us at Fox Sports Radio.

(01:38:49):
Let's go back to early in the show. Some people
that checked in, Yeah, LJ. Rightes, Hey, Arnie, can you
tell me what plays the Dolphins are in. I told
you to watch out for the Patriots being in second place.
At least you know who the godfather Kevin Samuels is.

Speaker 1 (01:39:05):
Yeah, season's not over, only four games in. I took
my Dolphins to make a little bit of a run,
and I said, I can't do sports anymore. I want
to do a show that's a mix of Kevin Samuels
and doctor Ruth so Sex.

Speaker 2 (01:39:17):
Quickly from that, Yeah, mister, nobody writes split takes on
FSU's loss. They deserve to lose. Poor tackling, stupid turnovers,
Virginia's patchwork, O line, dog walking the FSU D line.
The officiating didn't cost in the game, but it was trash. Also,
can UVA let players off the field before their fans
run on?

Speaker 1 (01:39:38):
Did you watch that Friday night? I watch a little
bit of it. That was a fun game. That was
a good game. The field storming was concerning.

Speaker 2 (01:39:46):
I mean, I get it that UVA has kind of
a unique setup where fans stand on the field.

Speaker 1 (01:39:51):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (01:39:52):
I understand it. That's uh, that's cool, but they gotta
do a better job. I mean, the Florida State receiver
was down on the field while they're storming in the
field and there they got.

Speaker 1 (01:40:03):
They covered it real quickly too, you know what I mean,
real quickly.

Speaker 2 (01:40:08):
Yeah, I mean I think they were coming even if
the guy caught the football. I mean, if the Florida
State receiver caught the football, they were storming regardless.

Speaker 1 (01:40:16):
Uh. The other thing is, and I've.

Speaker 2 (01:40:18):
Talked about this a lot, the thing that sucks about
field storming is when you're on the other end of
it is everybody has like no filter. They know you
can't punch him or do anything. And the video of
the guy like double Burden Castianos while he's going off
the field, it's.

Speaker 1 (01:40:31):
Like anything ever happened to you? You ever get like run,
I get flipped off.

Speaker 2 (01:40:35):
I get no, I'm smart enough to stay out of
the way, but I'll get flipped off, I'll get cussed at.

Speaker 1 (01:40:40):
It's it's you don't give like a forearm shiver to anybody. Can't.

Speaker 2 (01:40:44):
I can't because they're recording everything. And if I do that,
where am I gonna end up? Well, that's right, and
you would end up being canceled. Also, mister Nobody added,
Arnie might be more sympathetic if he didn't talk so much.
He ran his yap about Iowa State and they walked Arizona.
He should try being a Raiders fan. Vegas had an
easy chance for a game tying field goal, idiotic play

(01:41:06):
call on third down and then it gets blocked.

Speaker 1 (01:41:10):
He's right, but at least we're gonna go ahead and
kick the crap out of Oklahoma State this week. Thank
goodness for that.

Speaker 2 (01:41:16):
I mean, you should. They fired on that game, fired
their defensive coordinator. Half of their players are on the
injured list. It's got to be like at least twenty
one nineteen and a half.

Speaker 1 (01:41:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:41:27):
Matt writes, Yes, Arnie, it's time for you to give
up sports, especially picks instead of sex and romance. Become
a mine. You would be amazing and doing all the
listeners a favor.

Speaker 1 (01:41:37):
It'd be tough to do a radio show doing that, though,
that would be hilarious trying to. I can't believe you
didn't know who Kevin Samuels was.

Speaker 2 (01:41:43):
I don't got no clue, Colin writes, Russell Wilson Pete Carroll,
Gino Smith. It seems like John Schneider knows when to
move on from people. But as the game moved on
from Pete Carroll and Chip Kelly, this is gonna sound
so idiotic. And the Raiders play the Colts next week.
I'm not as down on the one and three Raiders
as as I usually am. Don't know though, I know,

(01:42:05):
I don't know why I'm not as down as I
should be. I think they I think they're still gonna
be a good football team. Tiger Man in Utah asks,
can I sponsor? Ask Arnie anything?

Speaker 1 (01:42:14):
There? You go, you got a sponsor. They we have
to have. We have to make down a segment, ask
Arnee anything.

Speaker 2 (01:42:22):
Paul writes, we should talk tonight about how the Mets
and there are going to have a playoff run.

Speaker 1 (01:42:26):
That's pretty cold, you know that. I still can't believe
they have the best record in baseball. I was writing
emails to the boss and I'm going to need time
off to go to the World Series party.

Speaker 2 (01:42:39):
And then they even read those emails that they know
that it's just pointless. They write the emails. You think
they really look at it and say, oh my gosh,
Arnie is asking me for time off for the Super
Bowl parade or for the World Series.

Speaker 1 (01:42:57):
Maybe not the Super Bowl parade they care about that,
but they they had to think that the Mets had
a good chance of winning the World Series.

Speaker 2 (01:43:03):
Well, I mean, there's a difference between making the playoffs
and winning the World Series.

Speaker 1 (01:43:06):
But the best record in baseball McFly.

Speaker 2 (01:43:10):
So did the Dodgers at one point this year. I
mean it's at least like, hey, congratulations on having the
best record in baseball in June?

Speaker 1 (01:43:18):
What did gets you? Nothing? There?

Speaker 2 (01:43:21):
You go a couple more here, Tennis Data writes James
Franklin worst a big game coach ever, and Kirby Smart
a little too cocky not kicking the field goal for
the tie, but an incredible game and an example of
why college is better than pro.

Speaker 1 (01:43:37):
Well, just a couple of things. One, let's start with
James Franklin. What do you do You really think they're
not going to fire him? So either stuck with him
or he's going to have to quit for another job,
but they're not going to fire him.

Speaker 2 (01:43:50):
I could see this being a situation like calip are
you going to Arkansas? Not saying that James Franklin's going
to go to Arkansas. But it just I could see
him being told, hey man, when ole Miss comes open,
when Lane Kiffin takes the Floorida job, or something like that.
I mean, maybe that's a job you need to look at.
I could see something like that. But it's hard to

(01:44:11):
argue that he is four and twenty one against top
ten teams and the A people and only one of
those wins came against a big ten team. That's that's
hard to stomach. I mean, how about this, what if
what if USC moves on from Lincoln Riley? Would that
be a place that James Franklin might end up becoming
the head coach and would that be embraced at USC?

Speaker 1 (01:44:32):
It would be the money would be there. They're a
private institution. Is the money there at USC right now?
It's not? Well, I think it's there. I don't know
for a fact, though, I mean, I mean, you're gonna
go to a place where if you still want to coach,
then you'll consider a USC or UCLA.

Speaker 2 (01:44:50):
Other than that though, no, no, you would not go
to UCLA. I think UCLA is gonna end up having
to hire someone like de Sean Foster, a Kain or
the head coach at I don't know, Kinnesaw State, bro,
that's you. No, no, an up and comer, maybe like
a Trey Lamb at Tulsa. Dude, Ucla is a terrible

(01:45:10):
job right now. They don't have any nil money.

Speaker 1 (01:45:13):
They don't have They a friend of mine that's a
big UCLA fan, and he said, there is nil money.
There's money there.

Speaker 2 (01:45:21):
Well, there's twenty million at every school right now, right
But well, okay, then were they just not spinning into.

Speaker 1 (01:45:27):
The right place. I don't know. There are some richual
alumni that graduated from UCLA.

Speaker 2 (01:45:31):
There's rich alumni in every single school, right but I mean,
it's just you're telling me that that investment in Nico
was a good one right now.

Speaker 1 (01:45:41):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:45:41):
I would push back on UCLA being a good job
against anybody right now.

Speaker 1 (01:45:45):
And I love UCLA. Well, maybe it's a good job.
Maybe it's not a good job now, but you could
turn it into a good job. It's not, as you know.
The only thing that bothers me is you just can't
have the you know, stadium on campus. And that's a
big thing for me, you know that, right, So, yes,
but I'm still miffed.

Speaker 2 (01:46:03):
Is how you can turn a job into a good
job where you were constantly playing against big tinfos and
traveling NonStop, blowing your budget on travel, Like, how can
you turn that into a good.

Speaker 1 (01:46:14):
Job right now?

Speaker 2 (01:46:14):
With the most apathetic fan base on the planet right now?
I mean, look what they Look what USC is done
when they invested in Lincoln Rouvy. Again, that's not a
bad football team right now, but it's you just lost
on the road to Illinois, who gave up sixty the
week before in Indiana.

Speaker 1 (01:46:28):
You're right about the Big ten, but you have to understand,
and you probably understand better than anybody. Ucla was a
major football power the whole Rose Bowl and that used
to be sold. So was Nebraska. You're right about that.
You're one hundred right about that, man.

Speaker 2 (01:46:46):
I think Nebraska is a pretty good team this year.
Since we're on college Joe Judges Burner writes, all ap
voters need to be institutionalized for a minimum of fifteen
years in a psychiatric facility to study their brains to
find out the type of psychosis they have. Penn State
beats three directional schools number three and finally plays a

(01:47:06):
team with a pulse at home as a three and
a half point.

Speaker 1 (01:47:08):
Favorite and only drops to seven. I'm okay with that.
Let's I'm fine. Like you said, the Spurder was only
three and a half. They lost in overtime. I mean,
how far do you want to drop somebody when you're
playing a really good team, Mike Corgan, I don't know
there's there. Well.

Speaker 2 (01:47:25):
I mean, you're a three and a half point favorite
at home and you lose to a team that was
ranked pretty high, and I have I thought that Indiana
should have been ranked ahead of him. I honestly thought
Alabama should have been ranked ahead of them. I thought
Texas tax should have been ranked ahead of him. I
thought Iowa State should have been ranked ahead of him.
I can keep going, but I get it. You're not gonna.

Speaker 1 (01:47:44):
Telabamat a bad loss too though, Remember that, right?

Speaker 2 (01:47:47):
But look what they've done since, I mean the shows tonight, Arnie.
The show wasn't in week one, right. I think you've
taught me that and then one more to get us
back to the pros. Colin asks, as as as a
Packers fan, can I blame this whole game on Arnie
because he had them atop his power rankings? I did
the Colts back down? To reality question.

Speaker 1 (01:48:06):
Mark, could you believe I had the Colts as the
worst team in the NFL? I should have been fired
for that. I mean, the balls should have called the episode.
You know what, you gotta go with the I. I
could take a lot of things from you, but when
you start saying that the Colts are the worst team
in the NFL, you've got to go. I can't take
that anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:48:25):
All right, our man, Steve Sager has one final update
for us. Steve, why would you say that he's.

Speaker 1 (01:48:34):
Just mad at the world?

Speaker 3 (01:48:35):
Right? By the way, I would add the UCLA football
fans deserve to be at this.

Speaker 1 (01:48:39):
Point absolutely told him how great that program used to be.

Speaker 3 (01:48:43):
One Absolutely, there'd been almost nothing to write home about
for most of the last decade. But I'm old enough
to remember about twenty years ago when UCLA beat Michigan
and Alabama in the same month. I remember watching them
beat Texas twice. I remember UCLA right after the NFL
left Los Angeles in the mid nineties. UCLA football was

(01:49:04):
drawing like an NFL team in the late nineties, and
UCLA had won twenty games in a row, had a
great offense, very entertaining to watch, and they were one
game away from the National Championship camp. How things have changed.

Speaker 1 (01:49:18):
Freight been online too for Chris blank and even.

Speaker 3 (01:49:20):
After that, a lot of wins.

Speaker 1 (01:49:22):
By the way.

Speaker 3 (01:49:22):
The Georgia reference for those out aware, Last night, Georgia
at home, down three to Alabama. Early fourth quarter. They're
down at about the ten yard line and the next
three plays essentially they get no gains, no points and
lose by three. Just fyi, Arkansas fired its head coach
Sam Pittman today. Oklahoma State fired defensive coordinator Todd Grantham.

(01:49:44):
Oregon is up to number two in the new College
football rankings, behind number one Ohio State. Chase Elliott took
the NASCAR Race. Europe held on to win the Ryder
Cup fifteen to thirteen over the US Golfers. WNBA Semifinals.
Indiana State alive beating Vegas. They'll go to a game five,
best of five. Phoenix at home eliminated Minnesota. For those

(01:50:04):
who are unaware, the great halftime entertainer at basketball games
Red Panda, with a message that she is recovering from
surgery and hopes to perform during the upcoming basketball seasons,
both college and pro.

Speaker 1 (01:50:18):
Did she get a while ago.

Speaker 3 (01:50:19):
Though, absolutely on the unicycle and fell off it, you know,
balancing the bulls on her head. It's an amazing show.
But it was halftime of a w NBA game in
July and had to have surgery for I think it
was the wrist was the problem with the fall. By
the way, speaking of injuries, Juju Watkins USC Basketball All
American is not going to play at all in the

(01:50:41):
upcoming season, still recovering from the March Madness season ending
knee surgery.

Speaker 1 (01:50:45):
She was she was going to be a soft more.

Speaker 3 (01:50:48):
Yeah, so she can't go pro I think even even
now at this point, even if she missed a year, right,
So she's yeah, and she says the rehab has been
hard and thanks for all the well wishes and all
of that. But that was the bounce literally just today.
As far as the NFL, we didn't have a win
and we didn't have a loss. In tonight's game, Green
Bay at Dallas finished forty forty after overtime. Dak Press

(01:51:12):
got three touchdown passes, two to George Pickens. Jordan Love
of the Packers three touchdown passes, all of them to
Romeo Dobbs. Packers had tied it at the end of
regulation on a fifty three yard field goal. In the
ot each team had one possession. Each team kicked a
field goal, and they go home. Dallas scored two touchdowns
in the final minute of the first half to take
the lead. Amazing the Cowboys were even in the game

(01:51:32):
because late first half Dallas was down thirteen to two
and important two. As it turned out, Dallas got the
two points running back a blocked extra point. Ravens quarterback
Lamar Jackson left the loss at Kansas City with a
hamstring injury. He had one touchdown, two turnovers. Casey thirty
seven to twenty over the Ravens, who are now one
and three. Patrick Mahomes four touchdown passes in his career

(01:51:55):
against Baltimore. Mahomes is six and one forty nine Ers
committed four turnovers. In Austin home to Jacksonville twenty six
twenty one. Travis etn on nineteen carries had one hundred
twenty four yards in a score. Each team three and
one Rams edged the Colts twenty seven to twenty. Each
team three and one Rams with two touchdowns in the
last three and a half minutes. Puka Nakua thirteen catches

(01:52:17):
one hundred and seventy yards in a score. Matthew Ta
Stafford had three touchdown passes three hundred and seventy five
yards through the year. Chicago came back for a win
at Las Vegas twenty five twenty four. DeAndre Swift the
go ahead TD with under two minutes to go, and
the Bears blocked a fifty four yard field goal attempt
at the end. Raiders are one in three, even though
as a team thirty one carries two hundred forty yards

(01:52:39):
rushing today, but the Raiders committed four turnovers, including three
interceptions by Geno Smith. Giants upset the Chargers twenty one eighteen,
but Giants wide receiver Maleik Neighbors left with a knee
injury possible torn acl MRI on Monday. By the way,
the first round rookie running back for the Chargers, Omari
and Hampton on twelve carries, had one hundred and twenty

(01:53:01):
eight yards a touchdown in Dublin. Pittsburgh edge Minnesota twenty
four to twenty one. Buffalo's four to oh after beating
the Saints. Philly is four to oh after winning at
Tampa Bay. Victories for Detroit and Atlanta wins for New
England and Houston. The Houston Texans were up six nothing
to start the fourth quarter, twenty six nothing the final
over Tennessee, which is zero to four. The Titans offense

(01:53:23):
today ten drives, ten first downs, zero for two on
field goal, attack.

Speaker 1 (01:53:28):
Score, a touchdout, and nobody's watching this account.

Speaker 3 (01:53:31):
This is the team that had allowed fifteen sacks the
first three games. So you know, baby steps. Major League
Baseball the regular season has ended. Detroit lost again. The
Cleveland Guardians clinch the AL Central title, a team that
was fifteen and a half games back of Detroit as
late as July eighth. This is the largest comeback in
Major League Baseball history.

Speaker 1 (01:53:52):
Crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:53:52):
The Tigers at least clinched a playoff spot on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (01:53:55):
By the way, the MLB regular season ended without a
single what for the first time in twenty years, no
no hitter this year. That's right, first time in twenty
years without a no hitter. That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:54:07):
The Dodgers came so close in recent weeks, the two
outs in the ninth with Yamamoto, and then they wound
up losing the game with as awful as the bullpen
was in September, the Dodgers will be hosting the Cincinnati
Reds in a best of three wildcard series starting Tuesday night.
Reds get the final spot because they win a tiebreaker
over the Mets. Both the Mets and Reds lost today.

(01:54:28):
The Mets just crashed and burned in the second half
of the season, lost for nothing today at Miami. The
season is over, a final record of eighty three and
seventy nine, despite a payroll of about three hundred and
forty million dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:54:40):
That Red's lineup, though, says, are Geronimo and those.

Speaker 3 (01:54:43):
Joe Morris, Joe Morgan's great Johnny Bench. Nobody's better than
Johnny Bench. Absolutely not. And by the way, as far
as the games, you're gonna have Padres at Cubs, best
of three noon every day Tuesday, Wednesday, if necessary, Thursday,
then Yankees hosting Red Sox right after that Tuesday Wednesday

(01:55:03):
and if necessary, Thursday, and then the late game the
Dodgers hosting the Reds, which means the Guardians will have
Pacific time the morning game starting Tuesday. These are best
of three wildcard series, all three games at the better
seeded team, and then we get to the best of
five division series. Those will all start this Saturday.

Speaker 1 (01:55:21):
Back to you.

Speaker 2 (01:55:22):
I wish I know the travel, but I wish it
would go one one one because I think some of
those crowds would be amazing, especially in Cincy. All Right,
great stuff tonight, Steve awesome as always. Hey, when we
come back, Arnie's Picks will take us home. It's Arnie
and Plank on Fox Sports Radio. Guys, get out of here,
make way for Big Ben mallor who's coming up next
on Fox Sports Radio. Great job by Mary Mack running
the show as always, Patrick Sweeka who is happy with

(01:55:45):
the Seahawks, disappointed with his vikings.

Speaker 1 (01:55:48):
Sega as always on updates.

Speaker 2 (01:55:50):
And the millions and millions of editors behind the scenes
who make sure we get all the great audio that
you'll hear throughout the night and day right here on
Fox Sports Radio. A reminder, just a game. It's once
in a generation of it. The Harlem Globetrotter is one
hundred year Tour. Come be a part of a legacy

Harlem Globetrotters one hundred Year Tour. Get your tickets today

(01:56:11):
at Harlem Globetrotters dot Com. All right, take it away,
stinking genius. What you got for us with your pick?

Speaker 1 (01:56:15):
Not a good week for me Last week Week five
in college, I won three and seven, so I was
coming in at seventeen and eleven. I'm now at twenty
and eighteen. Still over five hundred in college, but very disappointed.
So I came up with five picks for this weekend.
We love Texas going to lay this seven and a
half against Florida. Who do you like in that game? Chris?
By the way, what's the number? Seven and a half?

(01:56:39):
Seven and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:56:41):
Yeah, I can't believe they have numbers on it yet
because don't we have quarterback injury issues in that game too?

Speaker 1 (01:56:47):
Well, that's what it's got right now. I'm gonna take Texas.
I'm gonna lay the points in that. It's for to two.

Speaker 2 (01:56:53):
It's in Gainesville too, Yep, yep.

Speaker 1 (01:56:55):
Vanderbilt though I'm not getting enough points there. You'd think
they'd be a bigger runder dog in Alabama.

Speaker 2 (01:57:01):
Why they beat him last year and they've looked awesome
so far this.

Speaker 1 (01:57:04):
Ten and a half. I'm taking the ten and a half.
I just wanted more points. I'm also gonna take Boise
plus the seventeen and a half on the road to
Notre Dame. I'm gonna take Miami lay in the four
and a half in Florida State, and you know, you
know we're bouncing back. Give me Arizona lay in the
nineteen and a half against oh Glahoma State. We're gonna

(01:57:28):
kick the crap out of them.

Speaker 2 (01:57:30):
Their coach and half of their team is hurt. So congrats.

Speaker 1 (01:57:33):
If we losed Okaoma State, I will not come in
on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (01:57:37):
Uh Do you don't want to pick your vaunted UCLA
Bruins as a four touchdown underdog against Inn State.

Speaker 1 (01:57:42):
I was thinking about it, but they're and they put
up a good fight against Northwestern. I was watching. You
just said.

Speaker 2 (01:57:50):
They put up a good fight against Northwestern, not football powerhouse.

Speaker 1 (01:57:55):
Yeah, I'm not going to touch that game. Final score
Miami Dolphins thirty three the Jets twenty. Big thirteen point
victory for my Dolphins. We get back in it, then
we beat Carolina, then we go two and three, and
that gets us re energized and we get back in
this whole playoff race. So I can't wait for the

(01:58:18):
game tomorrow. If we lose to the Jets, I'm not
coming in on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (01:58:23):
Well, see, here's the funny thing is you will still
come in because you don't have any other jobs. I mean,
you'll absolutely be here.

Speaker 1 (01:58:29):
So for saying that, I'm taking the Rams minus three
and a half against San Francisco and I'm all over
the coat laying six and a half over yours Vegas Raiders.
So it's in Indy too. By the way, there you
have my picks. Do with them as you please, no
longer strictly for entertainment purposes only.

Speaker 2 (01:58:50):
You got nothing on Florida State Miami.

Speaker 1 (01:58:53):
I did. I said, I have Miami minus four and
a half against that number six six.

Speaker 2 (01:58:58):
Yeah, I'd open it seven and a half. I've got
it at six right now.

Speaker 1 (01:59:04):
I could look it up and I had that's I
had four and a half, which then a lot of
money was to come in on it recently because people
are betting it up. And I can see why they're
betting up. They obviously you're gonna go ahead and take
that game. But I haven't read No. Four and a
half Miami four and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:59:19):
Maybe scores and odds is off a couple of different
places too. Four and a half where is that at DraftKings,
say Draft Kings is there the sponsor?

Speaker 1 (01:59:27):
No Draft Kings.

Speaker 2 (01:59:28):
There you go a couple of quick tweaks before we
get out of here, Josh Wrights, is everyone jumping back
on the chief spandwagon?

Speaker 5 (01:59:34):
Now?

Speaker 1 (01:59:35):
Oh? Yes, absolutely, what are you kidding me?

Speaker 2 (01:59:38):
It shows tonight right absolutely? I like this from Michael
Michael Wrights. They updated overtime rules to allow both teams
to have a chance on offense, but just left the
part in there where the game can end in a tie. Yes, yes,
that is that is very true.

Speaker 1 (01:59:55):
Well, then we left four minutes left after the first score.
That's what bothers me, litle bit over four minutes left
in the game.

Speaker 2 (02:00:01):
And then Ryan asks a very very very good question.
I've scratched my head over Jameis Winston. He's talented, he's
had good seasons, but yet he seems content to be
an inactive quarterback. He's right, dude, seems like the happiest guy.

Speaker 1 (02:00:17):
On the planet.

Speaker 2 (02:00:18):
He's just sitting there holding the clipboard. He also adds
Arnie user journalistic skills. Can you find out if the
Rams were going to draft to Jackson Dart with a
twenty sixth pick, if the Giants didn't pick him, shit
for him.

Speaker 1 (02:00:29):
I heard no, No, they weren't. I have no idea.
What the hell do I know? Well, you have all
these sources.

Speaker 2 (02:00:36):
And then Sean Brian Callahan, who has a three and
eighteen record as of today, should be relieved of his
duties immediately. So should the GM and the owner needs
to go as well. But a for sale sign on
this team. You're a disgrace. You've failed your father. Ouch,
that's a Titan fan that's not very happy today. You're

(02:00:56):
all fired. That's not going well right now. But I
still like him. I still like him too.

Speaker 1 (02:01:02):
I think he's gonna be okay. But the rest of
the team not very good, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (02:01:05):
Sorry if we couldn't get your tweets tonight, it's been
fantastic all night long, Arnie, have a great week. Good
luck to your dolfence tomorrow night. The Great Big Ben
mallor is coming up next. We'll be back next Sunday
night to recap it all for Arnie Spanier. I'm Chris
Plank Ben Mallinex on Fox Sports Radio.
