Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio. Now let's go,
stinking genius, not babing.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
I'm not gonna say let's go. I'm not I'm not
gonna say let's go.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Why not? We got a full slate ball to talk about.
My team got smoked on Saturday. But I gotta win today.
So I'm feeling good. How'd your weekend go? I didn't
catch the Arizona BYU game.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Lost one game in double overtime, lost another game at
the end. Of course, what else? So I never expected
the Dolphins to win, even when there was forty four
seconds left of the game and we were winning. I
told my wife there's a zero percent chance even though
you bet the Dolphins win this game, they're going to
win the game.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Why do you say things and not believe them?

Speaker 1 (00:40):
What is that?

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I know? I enough enough. I just did another crappy weekend,
lose a game in double overtime, and uh, you know,
lose the game at the end, and it's just been
a it's been a crappy week. You know, the police
have been harassing me. Fox.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
This opening the opening to our show says like Fox
Football Sunday, I think they should change it to just
the Arnie Show, because literally, on the rundown everything is
about you and your week.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
So I'll sit back and kick my feet up and
you go ahead.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
No I didn't.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
I didn't put the police harassing them until Roman numeral
number twelve though.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Well, but that like twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, and sixteen.
It's all about your move and your TVs. And now
you can't figure out your computer. I mean, this is
Fox Football Sunday. Annie. What are you doing?

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Did a podcast, start a YouTube show or something?

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Man? But go ahead, get it all out because you're
gonna ruin the whole show bitching about the Dolphins all
night long. So take it away.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
I just you know this is to be the worst
sports year of my life. I'm serious. I mean, when
I give up my picks later on tonight, I'm gonna
start just giving out my picks on the Knicks and
Aversona basketball. That's all I'm doing. I don't want to
watch football anymore. I don't like football. I'm done with football.
I don't want to watch anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Well that worked out real well for who was who
was the one female I guess hot taker that said
she stopped watching the NFL. I think she kept her
job for like another month. Oh, that's right, we moved on.
So I don't think I would go that direction. But
but go ahead, what.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Good complain about my Dolphins?

Speaker 1 (02:14):
I told I wouldn't go to the direction of saying
you're not gonna watch football.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
No, but I told you, I told you this was
going to happen. I told you what kind of coach
we had. I told you that that he's lost done.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Hold on, what are you talking about? You spit all?
I mean again, I feel like a broken record. You
want to hit airon, patch yourself on the back. But
then you're telling us they're going fifteen to two, and
then after they they start off with oh and three,
they're like, well, if we win one game, you know,
look out. I mean, you're you know, you're not doing
yourself any favor. What's worse than rooty for the Dolphins?
Even the teams I pretended I root for lose even

(02:46):
the teams.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
I'm like, that's my team.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
They Yeah, we've all kind of pointed that out to
you too.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yeah. I just I can't get a break. I mean,
the only team I got left is the Giants, and
they're the last ways. But at least I got some
hope there. I. I just have no sports hope anymore.
There is I. Every year for the last dozen years,
you have sucked the life out of me. You've sucked
the soul out of me, my sports soul out of
my body. Ever since I've been working with you, you've destroyed

(03:13):
every team I root for. Have I ever had a
winner since I've been doing the show with you?

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Well?

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Had you had a winner before you started doing the show? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
The Knicks one back in a long time ago. Anyway,
what fun's nineteen seventy two?

Speaker 1 (03:27):
That's right?

Speaker 3 (03:28):
What a fun game?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
This Sunday night football game started out as But the
Chiefs have looked kind of like the Chiefs in the
second half of this game. It was a thirteen to
ten game at the half. Lions went right down the
field in their first drive, couldn't get a touchdown, Chiefs
missed an extra point, and the next thing you know,
you look up and Patrick Mahomes is doing Patrick Mahomes things.

(03:49):
In the second half, Detroit just had a fourth down
attempt that went awry. This ball game is over, So
I break into this whining for week five in a
row about your Dolphins and your Arizona wildcast to say,
Chiefs look back. Great timing for me too, because the
Raiders are going to Kansas City next week. But then
again I will see if they're able to keep it

(04:11):
a rolling. They're three and three now in the season. Again,
there's still a few minutes left in this game. But
their next two games are against the Raiders and then
against the Commanders, who haven't quite looked consistently the same,
and then they go to Buffalo for a huge matchup
the first weeknd in November. So getting right maybe at
the right time. After a bit of a tough start

(04:31):
for the Kansas City Chiefs, they're looking good here this evening.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
And by the way, Chris who told the referees that
the first touchdout wasn't allowed because they didn't know, So
did somebody buzz on down and said, hey, you guys,
you screwed up that that's not supposed to count. You
better say face and do something because that there was
a penalty. They had no idea that it was a
flag on the play. They had no idea that there

(04:54):
should have been a penalty called on that. Somebody must
buzzed down from New York or something like that.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
M I'll tell you what, it didn't take long in
the success that the Chiefs had for an official's call
to affect things right. I mean, it doesn't take long
at all for everyone to feel like, oh, here we go,
here come the officials back on the chief side of things.
But in fairness, probably should have beat the Jaguars on

(05:22):
Monday night. I mean, they couldn't get out of their
own way on Monday night. And listen, I don't think
we've seen many games where a quarterback falls down and
is able to still get up and score like Trevor
Lawrence did so, even after losing their first two games,
starting to look a little bit more Chiefs like going
forward and tonight, I mean, you said you're not watching
football anymore, but I assume for the sake of the

(05:44):
show that you took a little bit of time to
watch it. This evening, they're looking more like the Chiefs,
and honestly, I mean they're gonna win this game. Thirty
to seventeen probably could have been a little bit uglier
with the way things went. Three touchdown passes from Mahomes.
They're kneeling down right now, so that's gonna be the
ball game. They ran the ball well four point one
yards per Carrie, Xavier Worthy looked awesome, and the few

(06:05):
opportunities he had, Travis kelce had his biggest nine of
the year six catches. I hate this, Arnie, because stuff
seems to be coming together for the Chiefs. I don't
want to say at the right time because we're still
uber early in the season, but at the very least,
for my pain to be in your spot, it's happening
at the most unfortunate time possibly.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
You know, it's so funny you mentioned as you're talking
about Kansas City wedding, you're talking about what a good
game Mahomes had, and he was phenomenal. There's no doubt
the three touchdowns and no interceptions. You're talking about Travis kelcey.
But what we really don't say is defensively, the Chiefs
have gotten better every year. This is about us. Sure,
as a good defensive unit as there is. They don't
have to score what thirty plus points to win games,

(06:48):
even though they scored it tonight. They're a good defensive unit.
If that, you know, had they lost tonight, I would
have said, you know, when we do this segment who
saved their season, who ended their season. They might have
ended their season or the lost tonight they would have
been two and four. Maybe it would have been too
tough to overcome. But as you mentioned, not a daunting
schedule coming on up. But yeah, you got to talk
about the Chiefs defense and how good they really are.

(07:11):
I mean, holding the Lions to seventeen and ten in
the first half, that was a great job.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Yeah, and they have got an emerging star in this
Shamari Connor, who was oh, we got a fight, we
got a fight going on after the game. There is
a scrum between the Lions and the Chiefs right now.
I looked away to look at Connor's stats, and Patrick,
did you see who started this?

Speaker 5 (07:36):
No?

Speaker 1 (07:36):
I just saw it the second you said fight.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
I'm like, wait, what I'm trying.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
There's a launch being thrown. There's guys being dragged out.
But Checko is involved, Isaiah Pichecko, it seems to be involved.
Now they're dude. If I'm in that, I do not
have my helmet off, that's for certain.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Yeah. I see one guy with it, that's no. Yeah,
I see some guy with his helmet off. I'm like
twenty seconds behind you so.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Well, then you'll be able to tell us what's going on,
So just watch it. Yeah, but something went awry right
after the last snap, and then when they went over
to start shaking hands, it looked like a couple guys
were absolutely getting into it. There was a punch thrown.
No one really seems to be in too much of
a hurry to try to get away from it. There's

(08:21):
still a little scrum of Chiefs and Lions players that
are standing right next to each other, but Mahomes has
now walked through there. He hugs Jared Goff. That was wild. Okay,
so let's watch the replay Mahomes. Afterwards, he goes to
give a little love to Branch, and Branch kind of
blows him off. Then he pats him on the back,

(08:41):
and then a couple of the Chiefs are letting Branch
have it for shake hands. Oh, and then he punched
Juju Smith Shuster in the face mask and then Juju
went after him off, but Checko was holding back Branch
and then it was just on. It was wow, that
was awesome. And then it was just a bunch of
like trying to pull each other off each other.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Yeah, you could tell Branch had something going on and
unprovoked the at Smith's shoster right in the face. You
could tell that he had his hands down, so he
wasn't expecting a punch or something like that to be
thrown Brian Branch.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Of course, I was trying to think if there was
any other tie because Branch is an Alabama guy, so
I let's see, Yeah, he's much younger than Juju Smith Schuster. Yeah,
I don't know if there's anything more to it than just.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Hey, he brought his I hope he brought his checkbook
that just cost him one hundred thou.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Well, yeah, and listen again. I say it was a punch,
but I mean, let's be clear. He had his helmet on,
so it wasn't like he caught him. And then Juju
had his helmet on, and then he just kind of
pushed out his face and punched out his face and
he got Pacheco.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
That's kind of being in there. Just he lost.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
I'm sure he was mad about it, and I'm willing
to bet, knowing what we know about Juju Smith Schuster,
he wasn't being quiet about anything right there, so he
was talking away. So the chiefs looked like the Chiefs tonight.
Anything more you guys want to add to Sunday Night Football.
Thirty to seventeen is final score. It puts a cap
on what I thought was a relatively entertaining Sunday in
the National Football League.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
As we will look back for the week six.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
But you talk about how good the Chiefs looked, are
we gonna say something that maybe the Lions are not
up to snuff, or they're not gonna get up to snuff,
or maybe they're a step behind from last year. For two, Yeah,
I know they're four and two, but they just don't
look as crisp as they did last year.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
I think, well, you just bragged about the Chiefs defense.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Yeah, I know, I know, but I mean still, the
Lions I expected to put up a lot more points
than seventeen, especially when they went right down the field.
Did you see that first drive? Take it life was
sucking the life out of the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
I think that the Chiefs and next week is going
to be Lions Buccaneers, and that's Monday Night Football. It's
two of the best teams right now in the National
Football Team, don't.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
I'm stayed in the state of Florida. That's my new team.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Don't do that to the Buccaneers. I mean, you even
said it yourself that the teams you start rooting for
fall off as well. I mean, why would you that
to the Buccaneers.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
I got a Creamsicle jersey on right now?

Speaker 5 (11:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Right, yeah? Did you even care about the Creamsickle jerseys?
You're probably the guy that didn't like him. But if
you want, if you want to play that game, if
you want to get critical of Detroit, their big offensive
explosion this year came when they put fifty two on
the Bears. And that was a Bears team that kind of,
I don't know it started rolling downhill and got worse.
They beat the Ravens in a tight game. Now, this

(11:25):
just before everything started falling apart for the Ravens. And
then there are other two wins where a Joe Burrow
less Bingal team and the Cleveland Browns. So if you
want to get in that kind of area where you're,
oh my gosh, what's wrong with them? They only have
one win over a team that's five hundred, and that's
the Bears, who are two and two right now, So
you could do that if you want. Their only two

(11:46):
losses are to the two teams they played under five hundred.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
You know, there was a list of about four or
five teams that were at the Arizona A Wildcats game
scouting the quarterback. I wish I think one of them
was Detroit because you're looking at what three years down
line maybe or something like that, especially if it's not
a first round that it was interesting to see which
teams were looking at quarterbacks down the road and you
know which which a turn they're going to make because

(12:10):
they know that their quarterback is going to be done
in about one, two, three years from now?

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Wait?

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Wait, are you thinking that about Jared Goff right now?

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Are not possible? I mean, you know, well.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
When you said it was it you talk about teams
that are thinking about the future quarterback because we're talking
about the Lions.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
Is that specifically you think Golff's time is coming up?

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Oh? I do? I mean, look, I still think he
could play at a high level, but who knows what's
gonna happen in a couple of years from now.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Certainly, why are you looking at two years down the road?
The show is tonight, Isn't that what you always tell me?

Speaker 2 (12:41):
That is true, that the show is tonight?

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Right now.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
He's not going to be replaced, I promise you that.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Well, what was the point of bringing it up. I'm
very confused by that.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Oh, just you were talking about the game. Okay, by bad,
I'm sorry about that.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
No, you talk about quarterbacks and making changes down the
road and we're just talking about the Lions. I'm like, whoa,
you want Jared Golf gone? He's got two more years
left on a huge deal, right, that's what I'm one
years old.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Yeah, no, that's not old quarterback wise, that's for sure,
no doubt.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
That's why I said only thirty. You just never listened
to me, Arnie span you'd all right, let's go back
to talk about your Dolphins here real quick before we
dive into the rest of the National Football League. There's
no way Mike McDaniel has a job tomorrow, right, especially
after two is comments.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
I don't think so. But I think it's about fifty
to fifty. They may just say let's do it at
the end of the year, let's not worry about it now.
Whatever gives them the upper hand and trying to find
another coach. But you've got to make a move. I'm
sure we'll get into the Penn State situation and all that.
Is it better to do in mid season or not.
And I could actually make a case about Penn Stay
what they did was wrong. But as for the Dolphins,

(13:45):
I'd probably just go ahead and cut loose. Let's see
what you could bring in and see what they do
the rest of the year. Let's see if it really
was McDaniel or or the Dolphins just fall apart, lose
every game fifty to nothing, or maybe they win three
or four something like that. Let's let's just see what
a new coach is going to bring them, because right now,
and look, they played a good game, but they lose
with forty four seconds left in the game. But the

(14:07):
mistakes are two or three interceptions, one not his fault.
I can't, yeah, I can't totally. I can't blame mom
on that one. I mean, look, he's still going to
be the quarterback, be as you said, he's getting paid
a lot of money. But you got to find yourself
another coach. I don't know what direction they're going to
go in right now.

Speaker 6 (14:24):
I think it starts with the leadership in helping articulate
that for the guys, and then what we're expecting out
of the guys, right, we're expecting this.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Are we getting that? Are we not getting that?

Speaker 6 (14:35):
We have guys showing up to player only meetings late,
guys not showing up to player only meeting Like, there's
a lot that goes into that.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Do we have to make this mandatory? Do we not
have to make this mandatory?

Speaker 6 (14:47):
So so it's it's a lot of it's a lot
of things of that nature that we got to get
cleaned up. And it starts with the little things like that, Chris,
because I.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
Help only meeting and team didn't show up.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Yeah, that that's that's very concerning. Can I start a
rumor and pretend like I have an inside source and
they said this and that way my name can go.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
I never stopped you before.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
No, that's ever stopped you before. I hear the likely
replacement in Miami, he's probably gonna be James Franklin.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
James Franklin, Oh yeah, yeah, what what leads you to
believe that? What's what's going to be the reasoning behind it?
Because he's available and he's never coached in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Exactly, that's exactly why. Because because he just got fired,
so everybody as well linked a big name today. What
do you think about that? Rulee?

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Do you think that's considered a big name?

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Oh? He did a major program for how many years? Now? Chris?

Speaker 1 (15:37):
I mean, let's in the NFL anyway, there's a major
difference between an NFL and a college open you do that?

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Why was Nick Saban not a big name all those
years of Alabama stole?

Speaker 1 (15:46):
How did that go for you?

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Come on, man, what are you being serious? You're gonna
tell me if you spend twenty years at a school
like Alabama or Penn State, you're not well?

Speaker 1 (15:56):
How did that go for Miami? Would they hire Nick Saban?

Speaker 2 (15:59):
I wish they'd rehire him right now.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
I court you because you're a maniac. You you didn't
learn from the first time around whenever he did it.
You don't go come home again and work out, Well,
what do you think and look at the young Try
to find your next Sean McVay, Try to find your
next h Kyle Shanahan. Even, I mean, you you kill
for success like that, to have your team going to
the Super Bowl and then complaining about your quarterback, man,

(16:23):
why would you want? I know you're being tongue in
cheek about James Franklin but why would you want Nick Saban?

Speaker 2 (16:29):
I just because I don't think I'm gonna get somebody
for long term, So I kind of want somebody for
a stopgap. And maybe that's too short of a stopgap there,
Maybe I should think longer picture. I'm not sure what
we're gonna go after at this point right now. If
they do fire him tomorrow, I don't unless you've heard something,
I haven't seen it.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
No, no, no, I just I mean, you fire him every
show after a loss.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
So I've been telling you about this for a long
long time. I tell you about this for three years
since you got I Come on, man, I've been telling
you about this for a long time. I said, Daddy
looks like somebody's uncle that's on the sideline. I didn't
even know where he was the coach when it first started.
I thought he was, Hey, look somebody brought their uncle
and he's a chemistry tutor and he has good seats
on the sideline. And the reason that's the coach, I

(17:12):
go get out of here. That's not the coach. You're
making that up. That can't be the coach. So yeah,
you got to get somebody that has a more authoritative attitude.
In the locker room than him.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
I think so. Again, just just playing devil's advocate here,
should we not be allowed to talk about sports because
we don't look like athletes? I mean, you're just like
judging this guy because of his looks. Whenever he was
an offensive coordinator, essentially fourteen that went to the Super Bowl,
and I could judge him because he looks like a
chemist keeper.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
I could judge him by the one in five record
we got going this year. How about that?

Speaker 1 (17:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (17:46):
How undisciplined we are? How about that? How about our defenses?
How about that?

Speaker 1 (17:50):
But you didn't seem to have a problem with this
at any point whenever we were telling you leading into
the Seaton.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Wait, didn't I say it before the season started that
they could be in three and fourteen? More between three
and fourteen and fourteen and three? Did I not say that?

Speaker 1 (18:03):
Patrick? Mary?

Speaker 2 (18:06):
What? Patrick? Who are you talking to?

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Our producers are? Who had? Yeah? The same pack every
single I'm going to hire you new riders. Yeah, Arnie,
you had them projected to go fourteen and three, fifteen
and two?

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Not true? Yes, you did, Arnie on a good day,
But sometimes I change my mind. Remember when I saw
that injury. I'm like, oh that's it. Season.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
Oh well, yeah, I could go back. A corner goes
down with an injury and Arnie's like, there we go.
Season's over.

Speaker 5 (18:35):
Hey.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
I thought they looked pretty good today, though. I thought
you should feel good until the way that it ended
for him, and it was just absolute nightmare field.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Why should I feel good? There's no moral victories in me?

Speaker 3 (18:43):
I said feel good leading up to that.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
Finally, you make a tackle off Ladimerconkie and you're forcing
Dick or the kicker into long field goal.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
Mate, I could have made that tackle, but I'm lad McConkie.
I want you all right, we've.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Reached the zena stuff this one. Let's take a break.
It's Arnie and Plank by the way, shouts out to
a great new partner, Stratuse. If you've seen the red
Ostrich logo on professional baseball postseason helmets, that's Strauss family
owned since nineteen forty eight and.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
Trusted by pros worldwide.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
Pants built like tools, durable, comfortable an engineer to perform
from grit to glorygearup now at Strauss dot com. That's
st r a Uss dot com and real Quick Baseball.
Are they your Seattle Mariners now too.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Yeah, well let me see who wins between them and Toronto.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Okay, Seattle takes the game tonight three to one. Cal
Raley had another home run. Dude's been on fire. And oh,
by the way, we get Game one of the National
League Championship Series.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
I feel like we've been waiting for this for a while,
but tomorrow between the Dodgers. I guess maybe because the
Brewers just clitch their spot.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
No, that's my team, the Dodgers, though.

Speaker 1 (19:46):

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Big news breaking in the world of college football tonight
we had two firings. First UAB fire trend Dilford, but
that's really not what anyone's talking about, right. James Franklin
is out at Penn State after one of the more
embarrassing three game losing streaks maybe that you've had from
a power for team. I saw this tweet today and

(21:01):
it was really good, as from Roy Philpott ESPN guy,
really good college football mind, and I think it's worth repeating.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Fifteen days ago, Arnie.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Fifteen days ago, Penn State led Oregon in overtime twenty
four to seventeen. They were number three in the country.
Oregon was number six three weeks ago. Now lessen fifteen
days ago, and now fifteen days later. Dudes fired. Now
it was the game in overtime and the dude's fired.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Let me ask you a question. How long has he
been there at Penn State? How many games?

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Franklin, I think it's eleven years?

Speaker 2 (21:31):
Now, eleven years. He gives eleven years to the program,
and in three weeks you fire him because of a
three week stretch, one game against as you mentioned, against
an Oregon team, as we know it was a top
five team or what number six, right whatever? Whatever? They are,
top ten team, and that's it. You're done. And now
now we see that UCLA is kind of turned the corner.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Well, twelve year, Arnie, I'm sorry, it's because fourteen. I
looked at fourteen and thought eleven. But it's his twelfth season.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
But UCLA has kind of turned the corner. Look what
they did this weekend. Yeah, Michigan State, they're not such
a pushover. And maybe the Northwestern game was a bad loss.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
Well, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Did you can't defend the UCLA loss by Penn State?

Speaker 2 (22:11):
No, but I can at least make it palatable after
what they did against Michigan State. And I not or what.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
Is Michigan State any good? I'm here, No, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
I'm trying to You're trying try go ahead.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
I'm sorry, I don't want to get away for you offense.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
I'm just saying the Oregon game. Certainly you're gonna give me.
It's a top ten team, so you're going to fire
a guy on two losses, a team that one has
turned the corner after eleven twelve years with the program.
I think you could have waited till the end of
the year. But from what I heard or what I
saw on Twitter, I guess it's big business calling the
shots on this one, right, Is that what it is?

(22:48):
What's going on?

Speaker 1 (22:49):
Well?

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Is that what it is?

Speaker 1 (22:51):
There's a lot of things going on in this team
because and I can nerd out on it, but I'll
make sure to keep it as concise as I can.
They're athletic director is already in trouble with a lot
of the boosters and with even I believe there. I
don't know if it's if it's considered their board of
regents or their system or whatever the term is at
in State, because they did change to a new gear provider,

(23:14):
and people are up in arms because as they've looked
through the deal, they realized that the eighty has like
a five hundred thousand dollars line of credit with Adidas.
So it was like, wait a minute, we're not happy
about this move, and now there is this and I'll
tell you what. I this these types of moves because

(23:34):
all I hear from college people, I mean across every
every school is like, gosh, we just need them, need
more nil money, need more money here, we need more
money here. Oh, this twenty million dollar hit is so real.
It's so real. What's happening? And then all of a
sudden you're able to magically come up with that. I
know they're usually paid out over time, but forty nine
million dollars for a guy just to not coach you

(23:56):
for the next six games of the seasons.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Well you were gonna have to pay the forty nine million.
Whether it was an hour after the suit, well.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
You could have waited to see if he just goes
and takes another job and then to buy then it's.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
Like two mil.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
You could you could say, hey, go Dan, he might
maybe he would be stubborn in that and be like, no,
I'm not going anywhere, and that's fine, and then you
cross that bridge. But I just course, when you hear
if you heard me cry every single time about man, Arnie.
I want to do more shows. I wish we got
more shows. And every single time I got offered a show,
I'm like, no, I can't do it, not gonna do it,
won't do it. Or if I complained about how poor
I was and how I never have any money, but

(24:32):
yet you always see me out buying new cars or
buying a new house or something.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
I think you'd be like, Okay, well, college has got to.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
Quit sitting around acting all poor whenever they do stuff
like this, because this is dude, that's sizeable.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
Man just coming up with fifty mil.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
And don't give me it's from another bucket, or it's
from or this guy paid for it. Stop it stop.
It's just as ridiculous, is there.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
Didn't we say last week that they would never get
rid of the Alabet when not last week a couple
of weeks ago that they would never get rid of
the Alabama coach because he was supposed to get like
seventy million or something. Disgusting.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
Oh yeah, there's some crazy buyouts out there. And it
also shows you look where Kaylin Debor is now. Alabama
might be the best team in college football.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
I was gonna say in three weeks. He's turned it
from maybe getting bought out to where he is right now.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
I mean, I'll tell you the new polls are at
and I was obviously I was in the midst of
hell on Saturday. Oh my gosh. But Oklahoma lost that game.
They go South Carolina next week, they win. They're six
and one going into a matchup that following week against
Ole Miss Boom. You're right back in the mix of
this thing. College football's wild right now. Indiana's win has
blown my mind. And you just had maybe one of

(25:39):
the more polarizing names in football amongst not just college
football pundits, but it's on fan base in James Franklin,
because you're right, Arnie, you look at the wins, you
look at this. I mean, this was a team that
was Drew Aller thrown across the field for an interception
away from playing for a championship last year. They made
the final four last year at the college football playoffs.

(26:01):
So I'm sorry at the final four, the quarterfinals of
the college football playoff lash soud. They won their first
round game, they beat SMU and then they got beat
and let's see which bowl game was it? Oh no,
I'm sorry it was a semi finals because they beat
Boise State in the quarterfinals. Whenever you decided that Ashton
genty sucked right and they almost they almost found themselves

(26:23):
in a position to play for the championship last year. Man,
how crazy is that? And now he's gone. Notre Dame
beat him twenty seven to twenty four in the semi
finals and then six games later, dudes out of a job.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
All right, Well, we know who the replacement is going
to be anyway, right, we know who the leader in
the clubhouse is the most Who do you think is
the leader in the clubhouse? Who I think is or
who I read on Twitter?

Speaker 1 (26:47):
Well, I'm sure you read either Matt Rule or kurtin
Matt ready on Twitter?

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Who was the second one? Who did you say?

Speaker 1 (26:53):
Kurt Signetti, the Indiana coach? I saw Matt Rule was
Well Matt, That's what I said. Matt Rule is probably
the top candidate because he play eight at Penn State.
He was a walk online backer. He had great success
whenever he was in that area, whenever he was the
head coach at Temple.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
But I mean, what is what is Rule doing?

Speaker 6 (27:10):
This?

Speaker 3 (27:10):
Knocking your socks off?

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Right now? In Nebraska? Like if I'm talking to someone,
I'm calling Kurt Signetti. Anyway, big story, Penn State. James
Franklin fired. We'll be keeping eyes if we get any
news or nuggets on it throughout the evening, but we're
all NFL the rest of the way.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
Franklin Guardian or you bring that up later on. Yeah,
let's get to that a little Bitmbera. There was a
member I brought this up last week and doing he's
not gonna want to go to use No, no, no no.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
I was with you on that, Okay, I was. I
just you were telling me UCLA was a big job,
and I was.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Like, for million in my pocket, I'd go to u C.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
I I can't, man, you could actually afford a house
with that kind of money in La. All right, Steven
Sager is in the house with what's trending? Steve, Sorry
about the delay. It's James Franklin.

Speaker 9 (27:50):
James, Yeah, sure, aware. How do you get there? Huh oh? Actually,
you know, not a lot of people, not as many
people live in Malibu as a year ago.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
Let's just out of Malibu Lebowski.

Speaker 9 (28:02):
James Franklin, by the way, fired as Penn State coach
and Penn State is oh and three in conference, losing
to UCLA and Northwestern the last couple of weeks. A
Northwestern team that you know beat Ucla a couple of
weeks ago. Indiana is up to number three in the
new polls Ohio State number one, Miami number two. UAB
fired coach Trent Dilford tonight, the former quarterback and Oregon
State is ow and seven fired coach Trent Bray As

(28:24):
for the Brian Branch scuffle at the end of the
game at Kansas City, Chiefs beat Detroit thirty to seven,
and the Lion's safety well. First off, he refused to
shake the hand of Patrick Mahomes when offered, then went
straight over to receiver Juju Smith Schuster and after a
very brief exchange, hit him in the face. It's going
to be another fine, and Pro Football Talk points out

(28:47):
that Branch, in his first three years in the league
has accumulated more than one hundred thousand dollars in fines,
even had money doc from his paycheck nearly twenty five
k earlier this year. This will be fine number six
in the last thirteen months.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
You want to see a brawl, he should have. What
happens if he hit Mahomes like that.

Speaker 9 (29:04):
Oh my goodness, oh oh wow, the whole I mean,
everybody's in the middle of the field. Anybody wearing red
would be sticking up front. Patrick Mahomes had three touchdown
passes one TV run in this thirty to seventeen victory.
Chief missed an extra point kick in the first quarter.
Did you see the opening drive of nearly ten minutes
for Detroit. They got on a trick play. They thought

(29:25):
a touchdown on fourth and goal from the one. It
was called back and they settled for a short field goal.
Not that they were playing uphill the rest of the night,
but that would have changed things. In the first tie,
was about to be in motion. He was the only
one in motion. I think it was because the quarterback
started under center and he has to back up and
be a running back and pause and then go in
the motion like.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
A normal person.

Speaker 9 (29:46):
Instead he went in motion straight out of the behind center.
Jared Goff two touchdown passes two hundred three yards through
the air Tampa Bay five and one. After beating San
Francisco thirty to nineteen, a Mecca Abuka, the star rookie
w for the Bucks, left with a bad hamstring, so
the top four wide receivers for Baker Mayfield are now out,

(30:06):
but another win for the Bucks. San Francisco linebacker Fred
Warner out for the year with a dislocated and broken ankle.
As soon as he left the game. The Niners allowed
over seven yards per play. That's one of the rare
times under Kyle Shanahad they've had that kind of poor
defensive static for the night and day on defense there,

(30:28):
Green Bay beat Cincinnati twenty seven eighteen Josh Jacobs two
touchdown runs. Las Vegas ended a four game losing streak
because they got to play the Tennessee Titans. It was
Raiders seventeen to nothing late in the third quarter twenty
to ten.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
The final.

Speaker 9 (30:41):
Cam Ward sacked six times three turnovers. Chargers won at
Miami twenty nine twenty seven on a field goal with
five seconds left. Carolina beat Dallas on a field goal
final play thirty to twenty seven. The day started in
London with my goodness, what a great game to hand
the Brits Denver over the Jets thirteen to eleven on
a short field go with about five minutes left. Jets

(31:02):
now six. NASCAR win in Vegas for Denny Hamlin. Kyle
Larson finished second. He led the most laps. One NHL game,
Washington A won nothing winner at the Rangers. The NL
Championship Series begins Monday night Dodgers at Brewers Pitcher Blake
Snell will start for LA. Game two. Starter for him
Yoshinobu Yamamono. Game two of the ALCS is Monday in

(31:23):
Toronto and the Blue Jays, the top seed, are trailing
of the series. They hit a home run on the
first pitch bottom of the first and got one hit
the rest of the night. Seattle beat him in Toronto
tonight three to one. Col Rawley the tying solo homer
top of the sixth.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Back to you, Thanks Steve all Right, I'll sit some
of these early tweets to the program we have.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
I'll always find us. It's the best way to get
in touch with the show.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
I'm at Plank Show, Arnie is at Stinkin Genius one
and everyone should go follow us at Fox Sports Radio.
Josh was first in. You're right, Arnie says, another crappy weekend,
but it's just another weekend listening to his excuses about
his atrocious picks. Thank you for the entertainment. Misery loves
company and we're here to hook you.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Well, is he making fun of my picks or just
making fun of my dolphins and.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
My probably both? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (32:08):
Yeah, Well I won five and five in college, so
I don't know what he's complaining about.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
Is that good?

Speaker 2 (32:13):
No, it's not good, but it's not bad. It's five hundred.

Speaker 3 (32:16):
You get fired if you're James Franklin at five hundred?

Speaker 1 (32:19):
Are he?

Speaker 2 (32:19):
That's true?

Speaker 1 (32:20):
Big Greg? And iwa says, I'm predicting the next player's
only meeting. We'll have two times given out, the time
the whole team will get there and the time they'll
give two a which will be later, two of them
who can be beat down by his teammates. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Why are people not showing up for meetings or you know,
showing up late. I don't understand who said if you're
five minutes if you're on time, you're five minutes late.
Who said that a.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Lot of different coaches. I think there was a Jimmy
johnson is and maybe a Bill walshi ism. I'm sure.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
Yeah, So you you got to go ahead and you
know where's this? This is your job for crying out loud?
What the hell are you doing.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
Man, Here's a question I have for you. Just on
it real quick.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
Are you higher a coach that's going to be brought
into work with two because they're going to have to
fire Agreer to the general manager? Right? So are you
bringing in a coach GM combo with the understanding that
Steven Ross wants you to build around Tua? Or do
you bring in a guy with a blank slate and

(33:20):
you're like, if you decide you want to keep Tua,
you can keep them, or we can go in another direction.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
Well, they can't get rid of Tua, right. I mean,
they're kind of hamstrung with the contract that they have.
So let's be realistic. They're not going to get rid
of tou A. Whoever comes in has to play, and
you don't have to like it. That's like saying you're
gonna get married to the girl of your dreams but
you don't like her sister. Well, that's too bad, that's
what comes with the deal.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
Well, this is a little bit more significant. The quarterback's
much bigger of a deal than your sister in law
in this comparison, Arnie, that's true.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
But I mean, look, he proved that he can win
when he has the weapons around them, So you've got
to go and deal with it. Then if you don't
like Tooa, then you just don't take the job.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Then forget Okay, you are very correct. Tua's extension is
very to a friendly, not so much team friendly. The
only way that the Dolphins can get out of his
contract is by trading him. Otherwise they're going to have
to pay the whole sum in twenty five and twenty six,
so they would need another need to convince another team

(34:20):
to pay fifty five million in their twenty twenty six
cap money to a guy the Dolphins don't want to
their team anymore. That's that's if they don't want it now.
The Broncos did something similar with Russell Wilson, right, they
took that Hickey and look at them now, their first
place in the AFC West. But it took maybe getting
a little lucky with bo Nick's falling to you. So

(34:41):
I don't know if that's a risk worth taking. I
do maybe I'm crazy. I think Tua would be wanted.
I don't think he's a guy that people would be
shining away from. I think someone would be willing to
make a deal for him.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
I'm trying. I was trying to think about quarterbacks i'd
rather have than Tua, and they're a lot that came
to my mind. There's a lot that I'm like, Hey,
I'd rather have him.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
I don't think Justin Fields with Justin still Field still
be one of those guys.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
No, bo Nicks would not be one of them either.
How about that.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
I would not want to call that great either.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Wones I would want over too. How about that?

Speaker 1 (35:16):
There you go, and no one really wanted. I'd rather
out of Drake.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
Would you want Spencer Rattler? No, he's looked pretty good.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
He's looked pretty good. Ragged on him coming. Oh yeah,
I thought he was gonna be terrible, and he's been
pretty good. Actually, I was way off for now. For now,
I don't know if he's the future of the Saints,
but he's done a nice job, really nice job in
that system. With Kellen Moore, I know we're up against
the Patrick. Let me read this one from Joe Judges
Burner real quick, because we brought up the Jets. He
said the Jets need to fire Aaron Glynn immediately. I
called for the firing of James Franklin last week I

(35:47):
was one thousand percent right. The Jets need to fire
this moronic buffoon with zero business or who has zero
business being a head coach immediately, not now, yesterday?

Speaker 2 (36:01):
Wow, is the Jet should hire Franklin? How great would
that be? A Matt Is.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
James Franklin going to be your next guy that you're
pushing for every job that's out there? All right, quick break,
when we come back, let's hit Let's hit Arnie's week.
That was because he moved. He moved, and it was
filled with problems. That's next on Fox Sports Radio. Fox
Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation.

(36:26):
and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to listen live.
All Right, so I figured our final segment of each
hour we could commit to, which roman numeral is the
one about the police? Arnie?

Speaker 2 (36:41):
That would be number twelve.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
Okay, so lay out how you got in trouble with
the police this one?

Speaker 2 (36:48):
Yeah, the real quick guy was with my wife. We're
walking our dog right next door to our new apartment.
We just moved. I just moved here on Monday. Right.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
He's now a uh, he's now a resident of connect.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Kit, Connecticut.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
Right.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
So I guess one of the people that worked at
the business called the police because the dog was, you know,
going on their lawn even though I had, you know,
bags to pick up after my dog. So three cop
cars came. Three cop cars came, and I could see
they were talking, but I just kept out. I was

(37:24):
binding my homesses. I kept on walking, and I could
hear her say something to me, and then it was
a female woman, was a female police officer. And then
I hear her go, uh, do you mind I want
to talk to you, And I'm like, okay, we got
a problem here, and she told me, you know that
there's a complaint about how the dogs are always going here.
I go, I just moved here on Monday, lady, you

(37:46):
know what do you want.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
To doing their job?

Speaker 2 (37:48):
She took my address where I work, my license.

Speaker 3 (37:53):
She did tell your trophy husband that you don't the trophy.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
She took my phone number. I thought she was going
to ask me for a second there, because she was
like attractive in thirty five, I look like I'm thirty five.
She probably knows.

Speaker 10 (38:06):
You not just just let them twenty five times twenty Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
Oh, I think she was going to ask me out.
I said, this is my wife.

Speaker 10 (38:14):
Worn to thirty five BC. What does she want to do?

Speaker 2 (38:16):
Ouch? Why would she need my phone number?

Speaker 1 (38:18):
Then?

Speaker 2 (38:19):
Why why would you need.

Speaker 10 (38:20):
My the can contact you to where like any anything to.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
What the contact me about my dog?

Speaker 3 (38:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (38:28):
Yeah, obviously an issue.

Speaker 3 (38:29):
They haven't that I need.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
Your phone number? Yeah, because we're going because we're going
to give you a call to see if you're walking
the dog properly. Is that what you're gonna tell me?

Speaker 11 (38:37):
Now, there's certain like rules and there's certain people that
handle that.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
How many how many female police officers, Chris have taken
your phone number?

Speaker 3 (38:46):
Well, I don't illegally walk my dog and place.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
You've done nothing illegal? Mary? How many male police officers
have taken your phone number? Want?

Speaker 12 (38:55):
So?

Speaker 10 (38:56):
Actually? Actually like two three?

Speaker 2 (38:58):
Bulloney? And I'm not talking about it in a clob
or something like that, all right, I'm ugly?

Speaker 1 (39:05):
Yeah, are you just the best looking guy in the
world that, even though you're doing something where they just
wanted to make sure that you understand the law, that
you looked at it as her getting your phone number
to try to ask you out.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
I thought you was gonna say I'm gonna have to
stop by your place about seven thirty for dinner too.
I was, okay, I guess I'm really in trouble that.

Speaker 1 (39:23):
So basically it was an area that just people have
been walking dogs and letting them do their business and
they're not supposed to. Is that you're really in a
hoity toity neighborhood if they've got three cops showing up
for that three.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
Cop cars down there, man, And I'm like, are you serious?
I was gonna do the you know, I don't have
I don't answer questions, you know that type of thing.
I don't answer questions. But I didn't want to make
it into a big blow up thing. And you know,
all of a sudden, the news gets involved all because
I'm walking my dog. Now, had I robbed the bank
or something, I would have thought. I don't answer questions.
See if I get away with it, but not for

(39:56):
the dog walking thing, I'm not gonna go ahead and
you know, make a big stink about it that again.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
Now you gotta remember, I'm a little bit more rural
than you are out no fancy Connecticut or is I
like say, connect Kit. Is it just they don't let
people I'm really perplexed by this. Is it an area
where dogs do their business? Way they tell it.

Speaker 2 (40:15):
I guess it's it's a business. But there was a
lot of grass out there.

Speaker 4 (40:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
They just kind of aggravated me. I really should have
done the no, I don't answer questions. You're not getting
my driver's license, go ahead and arrest me, and that
you would have seen my name on all over the
blog and stuff.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
And it would have been all over the blog. Well,
I'm glad that you didn't get arrested. I'm glad you figured.
Are you all moved in happy now? Or is there
more to the story.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
Oh no, I'm not moved in unhappy at all. I'm
just I'm miserable, is what I am.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
Well, we'll get to the story of Arnie's fight over
a TV, which apparently is still on the way.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
Is Kevin Stefanski getting fired tomorrow?

Speaker 1 (40:50):
I have no idea. We'll talk about a next on
Fox Sports Radio. All right, we got a lot to recap.
Toot Furman is coming up this hour, so we'll get
in the weeds on all of the crazy from the
NFL in Week six and of course Week seven of
college football so let's just hit Roman Numeral three here,
let's roll through some of the games. I'll just maybe
you take away or two, Arenie, that caught your eye

(41:12):
up early for the grossness of the Broncos Jets game?

Speaker 3 (41:14):
Or did you just go ahead and sleep in on
that one?

Speaker 13 (41:16):
No?

Speaker 2 (41:17):
No, I mean it was what nine point thirty here?
That's what I love. No, there was no sleeping in.
Was watching that And the more I watched, the more
I won the flip around I go, but there's no
other game you're making me watch this. I'm just kind
of stuck on here. I've never seen anybody we didn't
take a lead with a safety for crying out loud,
that was the worst performance passing performance I think I've

(41:39):
ever seen in my life, especially when it had nothing
to do with like fog or anything like that, or
rain or some natural disaster. Justin fields? Are you? I mean,
maybe Zach Wilson isn't so bad, you know what I'm saying.
Maybe we just totally misunderstood him. But I never thought
this Jets team was going to get worse from the
last couple of years, and that's exactly what happened. They've

(42:00):
gotten worse. I don't know if it's fair to fire
going after how many games, six or whatever it is,
but we may have to make an exception in his case.
They are completely lost right now.

Speaker 1 (42:11):
They're completely lost. I guess Justin Fields is just going
to be one of those guys that we look at
in through the lens of history as someone that we
just couldn't we just could never figure out. Hey, at
least the Jets finally forced to turnover, right, they didn't
get a fumble that they recovered.

Speaker 2 (42:27):
Today, Congratulations on that. I you know, I thought maybe
they were going to be able to pull this out
and get the field goal at the end, but they
couldn't get out of their own way offensively. It was
just horrible.

Speaker 3 (42:37):
Justin Fields was sacked nine times today.

Speaker 2 (42:42):
I'nbelieving cardial minus ten yards passing.

Speaker 1 (42:45):
What was a total number? Well, yeah, he ended up
with minus ten because they taking the sack yardage, so
he was nine to seventeen for forty five yards. He
averaged two point six yards per attempt whenever you factor
in the negativity of the fifty five yards lost in sack.

Speaker 2 (43:03):
If Jackson Dart was quarterback for the Jets right now,
we'd be talking about that he's the second coming of
Joe Namath.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
Do you think he looked that good with that Jets
offensive line?

Speaker 2 (43:13):
Well, I probably not, I would get I think he's.

Speaker 3 (43:15):
More of a physical runner than justin fields.

Speaker 1 (43:18):
I think he's more And also, I mean, let's face it,
it's it's not like the like the Giant Giants one
on Thursday. By the way, that's real.

Speaker 3 (43:26):
We haven't mentioned that.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
Maybe we should go back to that and maybe they
have a fun duo here in Scatabow and our cateboy
excuse me, and Jackson Dart at quarterback. But I mean
that's that's not sustainable, right, I mean one of those
guys is going to get knocked out at some point.
I mean Dart. They're already questioning the protocols with how
they're how they got him back in the game so
quickly on Thursday.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
Well the coach is getting fined for that, right, like
one hundred thousand dollars or something to that effect.

Speaker 1 (43:51):
You know, Brian Daboll saw his future flash before his
eyes when we went back into that injury ten. He
knew if you could.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
Get a quarterback and forget about the price, it would
take like a Tua or something like that. Do you
think Arizona may move on for Murray or No, not really,
but he's just too I know it's going to be
the contract thing, but I heard to be teams interested
in somebody you know, was not money all money based here.

Speaker 1 (44:20):
No, I agree with you, And in fact, I was
getting that Cardinals Colts game where Arizona was very game
in this game. Does that make any sense considering how
they just blew the game against the Titans last week?
So yeah, the Cardinals coming off maybe one of the
most embarrassing losses of the Jonathan Gannon era. And then
Mike what a soft era we live in that they
find him forgetting in the face of a dude that

(44:42):
dropped the football as he was crossing the goal line,
and people were actually mad about how he treated a
player on the sideline, a highly paid, well trained professional.
I think de Segur used this the other day. It
cracked me up. Is the football get heavier when he
gets to the goal line or something we say about it?

Speaker 2 (45:00):
What would they say about what he Hayes or Bobby Knight.

Speaker 1 (45:02):
Oh they would They'd be institutionalized one they probably should
have been. But the culture coming off of dominating win
against the Raiders. I didn't think this was going to
be a letdown spot, but it kind of wasn't. I
ended up getting a lot of this game. That red
zone was on this game quite a bit. Jacoby Brissett
didn't look too bad. The Colts defense ll look very
good as a matter of ye, But I don't know

(45:24):
how to view this. The Colts won again. They they
needed two scores in the fourth quarter. They they found
a way. So I'm not trying to get too judgy
on this except to say maybe Arizona looks at it
and says, all right, let's let Kyler take his time healing. Now.
You know, Jacoby Brissett is very likely to go and
throw three picks next week as well. But I think
positives out of it for Arizona. But Arnie, right now,

(45:46):
the Colts and the Bucks are the one seeds.

Speaker 2 (45:48):
Well, you know what they're saying these around today. You
know what the Colt fans are saying right now. They're
like they're calling into their local talk show going, yep,
were the case? They don't know this man, were the
number one seed in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (45:58):
Where do you think in Indiana?

Speaker 2 (46:00):
Is you know somewhere in the Midwest.

Speaker 1 (46:03):
What was that accent? My gosh, man, where you got Indiana?
Now somewhere in South Oklahoma anyway, So they're calling in
there saying, what.

Speaker 2 (46:15):
We're the number one seed, We're the best team right
now in the AFC, Get out of our way. Nobody
better than us right now.

Speaker 1 (46:21):
Well made you right about that. The Chargers look pretty
good at times coming back. I thought that was a
hell of a play by Lad McConkie to put them
in field goal range.

Speaker 2 (46:30):
Oh, that was incredibly made one move on that guy
and then he was down the sideline for like one
hundred and fifty yards.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
We've spent a way too much time on this game
from the Dolphins perspective already, but it's the saga around
because Steve, I'd be curious to get your take on
what you thought from the Chargers today. They let eight
chain run like crazy on him, but yet still found
a way to win.

Speaker 9 (46:48):
And negative has been the red zone touchdowns. They're just
not cashing in yet. And then the hugest, most obvious
negative is the amount of people they're missing. It's impressive
that they won even against myami, that they won the
game today Miami's one and five. We're just dealing with
facts here, but you're right about the key catch thirty
seconds left for lad mccacky that put him at one

(47:09):
hundred yards receiving. He had a touchdown seven catches today,
but the Chargers were missing injured running backs, the first
rounder of Marion Hampton and Najie Harris, and three offensive
linemen and the bag tight.

Speaker 3 (47:21):
End return man. They were all gone.

Speaker 9 (47:24):
I mean, yeah, it's not like San Francisco, but it's
been pretty consistent with injuries. Look how good the Chargers
were when healthy and protecting Herbert the opening few weeks,
and what the last few weeks have been. Justin Herbert
is on pace for his first six seasons in the
league to be hit six hundred times, which hasn't happened
since Andrew Luck. They're still getting a w. The Colts

(47:46):
won again, Daniel Jones three more touchdowns. As I recall,
it is Colts at Chargers next Sunday.

Speaker 1 (47:53):
That full fine Patriots beat the Saints twenty five to sixteen.
It was I mean, excuse me, twenty five nineteen. The
Saints look a little better. I mean Chris Lobby had
six catches well, there's a standard.

Speaker 3 (48:07):
But yeah, are.

Speaker 2 (48:08):
The Patriots going to win that damn division? That's going
to make me sick to my stomach if that happens.

Speaker 1 (48:12):
Yeah, I think so.

Speaker 9 (48:13):
The Bills are still in the division. I think they'd
got the Bills win tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
They're five and one, right, Patriots four and two, so
they're right by and.

Speaker 9 (48:20):
By the way, I did think of the Chargers when
you were talking about the gross attempt at a passing
attack from the Jets today, because literally the league had
not seen any passing game that bad from an NFL
team since Ryan Leaf and the Church.

Speaker 4 (48:34):
Oh my gosh nineteen ninety eight.

Speaker 9 (48:36):
He had a game where he was one for one
for fifteen and the Chargers, including the Sex, finished with
negative passing, which is what happened with the Jets today.

Speaker 1 (48:44):
Gross. Steelers are four and one now. Browns haven't won
in Pittsburgh in ages. I didn't think Dylan Gabriel looked
too bad. It didn't force the ball down the field
too much.

Speaker 9 (48:54):
Specifically, it's regular season games in Pittsburgh, and it's since
two thousand and three.

Speaker 4 (49:00):
Which since the Browns won their regular season.

Speaker 1 (49:02):
It's kind of funny because as someone who peaked in
the nineties. Every time you'll say something is back in
like the early two thousands, like not that long ago,
and then you're like, oh.

Speaker 9 (49:11):
Yeah, and then you say it's oh decades plural, that's right.
The amazing thing is in that you talk about division races,
who's beating out the Steelers to win the AFC North.
Just the last three weeks Steelers are undefeated. The rest
of the division.

Speaker 4 (49:25):
Is zero to nine.

Speaker 9 (49:27):
In the last fifteen years, a division has gone like
that in a three week span only once in fifteen years.
The Steelers, my goodness, suddenly at four and one and
nobody is on their tails in that division race.

Speaker 1 (49:40):
And they let Aaron Rodgers on cork a few today,
two hundred and thirty five yards, two touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (49:46):
He wasn't sacked.

Speaker 1 (49:47):
DK metcalf average twenty three point eight yards per reception.
I'll take your apologies now, Arenie, It's okay. You can
tell me that I was right that Aaron Rodgers was
going to be okay and pitching.

Speaker 2 (49:56):
Are you knew everybody? You knew that the Ravens were
going to stink out loud in that division?

Speaker 1 (50:00):
Right now? Hey, I'm just all I knew was that
I thought Aaron Rodgers was going to be really good
in Pittsburgh. Speaking of really good, Oh.

Speaker 2 (50:07):
Wait, wait, are they going to give her to Stefanski?
Is he gone now neck for tomorrow or what?

Speaker 3 (50:12):
I don't know how you can get rid of Stefanski.

Speaker 2 (50:15):
That's what they're reporting on Twitter.

Speaker 1 (50:17):
Oh are they really?

Speaker 3 (50:18):
Who's reporting it?

Speaker 9 (50:20):
Some fake website that he doesn't realize all the other
times NFL centel thank you. Oh they threw fifty two
passes with a rookie quarterback at Pittsburgh today. Dylan Gabriel
was twenty nine of fifty two fifty two.

Speaker 2 (50:35):
Attempts more passes over ten yards, he.

Speaker 9 (50:37):
Still only had two hundred and twenty one yards passing.

Speaker 1 (50:41):
And oh, by the way, Kevin Stefanski as a Browns coach,
they haven't scored twenty or more points in over ten months.
I don't see anyone reporting. It's just Browns fans that
are all fired up about it. But if you see
an NFL guy, let me know, ARENI because.

Speaker 2 (50:57):
I am I'm pulling trying to pull it right back up.
I don't know where it is.

Speaker 9 (51:00):
Eleven straight games from the Browns they haven't scored more
than seventeen in eleven street case.

Speaker 1 (51:05):
Is it Adam Scheffler that reported it for you? Let
me know what.

Speaker 9 (51:12):
Dolf for half newsbreaker, Yeah, halftime the news is kind
of accurate.

Speaker 1 (51:17):
Rico Dowdell, who I gotta be the.

Speaker 2 (51:21):
Best with the best two games rushing in gosh in
how long? My goodness?

Speaker 3 (51:26):
It was impressive.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
Now you might say I've never heard of that guy,
and it would be understandable because he is in his
sixth season.

Speaker 9 (51:35):
Dallas has heard of them football. I think the Cowboys
have heard of him to.

Speaker 2 (51:38):
Keep it, but we didn't have enough money for everybody else.

Speaker 1 (51:41):
Five years in Dallas, you know, he spent five years
with the Dallas Cowboys and then the Chuba Hubbard gets
hurt and he becomes the guy. The most yards he
had in the game before the Dolphins game last week
this season was thirty two against the Dolphins, he went
for two to six, and against his former team today
when he talked all about track, Rico went for one

(52:02):
hundred and eighty three yards, averaging six point one yards
per care that's crazy, and had a receiving touchdown. As
I guess, this roller coaster continues for the Carolina Panthers
and Dallas Cowboys because the Panthers went on a walk
off field goal. Let me get you see my I
had to play by play call of that. It was
actually pretty good, as Carolina gets what here it is?

(52:22):
This was the final call, courtesy of the Panthers Radio network.

Speaker 3 (52:26):
Wait for it all right, let me try this again
in three two one J. J.

Speaker 14 (52:30):
Jansen the federable Chanson to snap, Martin puts it down.
Fitzgerald swings the leg the kick, Thanks God had the
Panthers w it. Ryan Fitzgerald the game winning field goal.
Carolina thirty, Dallas twenty seven. Sweet Carolina, Indeed that.

Speaker 1 (52:51):
Did may feel a little bit better, aren't It looks
like that you actually lost to a good team last week.
So the Panthers are now three and three right.

Speaker 2 (52:56):
Now, I mean, who would have thought that they'd be
at this record? They're starting get around. And remember we
discussed last year as Bryce really a starting quarterback in
the NFL.

Speaker 1 (53:06):
He had won what like two You called him the
worst starting quarterback in the league.

Speaker 9 (53:10):
Last he was kind of like Spencer Rattler a little bit.
You know, as far as the win last you said
last week, I'm glad you played that cut because he
mentioned Ryan Fitzgerald was the kicker three for three on
field goals at Carolina today. He hit a fifty five
yard or late in the first half, which turned out
to be huge because they won the game by three
on that. So we had the Carolina last second win,

(53:31):
the Chargers late win with a kick, including tonight. That's
now nine NFL games this weekend that were within one
score in the fourth quarter, nine of them.

Speaker 1 (53:40):
Wow. By the way, speaking of field goals, Packers beat
the Bengals twenty seven eighteen. Joe Flacco starts literally three
days after he signed by the Bengals. But did you
happen to see what happened right before halftime of this game?
Was it was I the only one that was watching
the Packers Bengals game.

Speaker 2 (53:55):
Maybe go ahead, okay?

Speaker 1 (53:57):
The kicker for the Cincinnati hit a six sixty seven
yard field goal.

Speaker 2 (54:01):
Oh yeah, it didn't count. They called the time out.

Speaker 3 (54:04):
In fact, he didn't even really call the timeout.

Speaker 1 (54:06):
If you go back and you look at the highlights,
it's he kind of like goes to talk to an official.
Then all of a sudden he looks out on the
field and I guess I don't know what had happened,
but you didn't see it from the Packers' sideline where
he called it. But that thing hit off the crossboard
went over right. That's exactly what I was watching red zone.
And you know, Scott Hansen can't just let the guys

(54:27):
call the game. He's got to do his own play
by play, which is wow, jeez, dude, there's people calling
the kids. But they then tried it again after the timeout,
and he came up like ten yards short. I don't
know if I don't know if there was a head
wind that was behind him or not. It didn't really
matter too much because they couldn't stop Josh Jacobs. He

(54:49):
was near one hundred yards. Jordan Love was really good.
Packers are three and one. I don't know what to
make anymore arny of the Ravens. It's just they finally
went to a backup today because Cooper Rush stunk. Though
Ravens fans, believe it or not, even though they lost
seventeen to three, will keep selling you that if you
look at their schedule, they've got a shot. No that
are you buying that or not?

Speaker 2 (55:09):
Who saved their season? Who season ended today? It is
over for your Baltimore Ravens. It is over. It is
Donzo Finito. They're not doing anything. They're not going to
the playoffs. They're not going to make a run at
the playoffs. They're not doing squat. It is Donzo for
the Ravens. Thank you for participating. You're in the same

(55:31):
category as my Miami Dolphins right now.

Speaker 9 (55:33):
One thing that did surprise me, guys is Baltimore we
know has the worst defense in this conference. You can
get it, four hundred yards a game average against them,
they were giving up thirty five points a game. Rams
didn't come close to any of those numbers today. No,
Baltimore's one in five. But it was a low scoring game.

Speaker 1 (55:50):
And again, you know, we're looking at a major injury
that we're going to be keeping an eye on in
what's going on with Pukinakua and the ankle injury.

Speaker 9 (55:58):
Absolutely, and that's the London game week Rahm's Jacksonville.

Speaker 3 (56:02):
Fantasy people beyond standby for that.

Speaker 9 (56:05):
At six thirty Pacific time Sunday morning, you may or
may not have a starting Wriner sing in the lightup.

Speaker 1 (56:11):
You've got to wake u like three to check the
figure out your guys.

Speaker 9 (56:15):
Five am is when the inactives come out standing.

Speaker 1 (56:19):
By two other quick games. Seattle beats Jacksonville twenty to twelve.
I mean, I know we got a resident Seahawk expert,
Pactrish Sweek as a producer.

Speaker 3 (56:28):
But I don't I don't think he is really This
game was never really in doubt.

Speaker 1 (56:33):
I mean, Jacksonville took an early lead and then Seattle
just I mean, the final score doesn't indicate I thought
how dominant Seattle was in his game.

Speaker 2 (56:40):
That's me, though, Sam Donald, I mean, we've really proven
life goes on after New York, doesn't it. I mean,
after you have a miserable career with the New York Jets,
life does turn does get better and you do find
your groove a little bit. A lot of people certainly
have to apologize to him. He turned out to be
a really good quarterback.

Speaker 3 (56:59):
He's been good though.

Speaker 1 (57:00):
He was great with Minnesota last year, and it's not
like they're sett in the world on fire this year
without him. I threw for two hundred ninety five yards
in two touchdowns and one other game. Real quick, how
about my man Baker, the current leader in the clubhouse.

Speaker 3 (57:13):
I think for the MVP, this was one.

Speaker 1 (57:16):
Of the coolest plays I think I've ever seen in
their win over the San Francisco forty nine ers.

Speaker 2 (57:21):
Down in long here's the snap belt high dropping the thow.

Speaker 1 (57:24):
Baker's gonna be sack. He gets out of the sack.
Pte Ruster Wock left Cox the YRF.

Speaker 2 (57:28):
He's gonna zig zaggle the right Franks. Another guy Pe
fights his.

Speaker 1 (57:32):
Way post to the first found.

Speaker 4 (57:34):
What a great effort, bud Picker Mayfield.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
Don'ty give him a first foun he got it. Give
him a first down, mister rough they do.

Speaker 1 (57:40):
Thirty to nineteen. Mac Jones, who everyone had replacing U
Rock Purty last week, now sucked again two interceptions, even
though he did throw up a three hundred and forty
seven yards and Baker was Baker without his top one
now four wide receivers with a mecha Buka getting hurt today.

Speaker 3 (57:55):
Thirty to nineteen was the final score.

Speaker 2 (57:57):
Let me ask you, guys, if somebody caught, if they
send out up running back too, you could be the
starting quarterback for the Jets next year. Would you pass
on that and go back to San Francisco or would
you say let's do it if you go take over
a team.

Speaker 1 (58:11):
Mike, there are you thinking about Mac Jones going to
the Jets.

Speaker 2 (58:14):
Or yeah, yeah, like yeah, Mac.

Speaker 1 (58:16):
Well, I would take the money, man, let me go.
Let's see when you get the kid, they're probably gonna
have a new coach too, if things trend in this direction.

Speaker 2 (58:22):
But if it doesn't work out the second time, you
might not get a third time to be a starting quarterback.

Speaker 1 (58:26):
I guess okay, I'll be able to sleep on my
seventeen million dollars. All right, there you go. There's a
run out. Of course on Sunday night football, you have
the Chiefs take care of business, looking unfortunately like the
Chiefs again. We'll break it all down with our man,
Todd Frohman coming up next, but first during the baseball postseason.
Strauss has made history. Is the first brand ever on
the Helmets, family owned since nineteen forty eight. Strauss makes

(58:49):
workwear built to perform, smart pocket design, real comfort and
durability you can trust from grit to glory. Gear up
today at Strauss dot com. That's st r a Uss
dot com. Todd Furman his next Fox Sports Radio. I
was well with the stinking genius Arnie. Hey, it's Arny
and plant count. Fox Sports Radio Todd Ferman is in

(59:11):
the house to help us break down all the games today.
What's going on, Todd? How was the weekend? Good one
for the underdogs, good one for the house? What it
looked like?

Speaker 15 (59:19):
You know, it's always interesting when you get some of
these results. Surprisingly enough, Kansas City winning and covering a
good decision for the sports books, given how prolific the
lines had been from an ATS perspective going all the
way back to twenty twenty one. But you look elsewhere
down the board and you try and find that upset
to really spoil the party for all. A lot of
the recreational betters that are looking for some of their
exotics and their moneyline parlays didn't really have that. But

(59:41):
you did have plenty of underdogs get there with aggressive numbers,
including the Arizona Cardinals sliding under that nine point price tag.
And of course Miami Dolphins is a home underdog doing
just enough to get there and cash at the window,
even if they came up short with a leaky defense
in that last second field goal from Cameron Dicker and
the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (59:58):
I never thought they were going to win that game
when they scored the touchdown, Todd, I knew that the
charges were to come down to kick that field goal.

Speaker 15 (01:00:05):
I mean, look, you've watch enough Dolphins football. They can't
come up with a timely stop, regardless of who's out
there defensively. And you know, even if they played with
a better team for three and a half quarters with
a twenty six thirteen lead, it's typical Dolphin football that
they're unable to be able to close out a game
when they erase even two score deficit. And let Ladd
McConkie just go absolute nuclear in that final drive.

Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
Listen, if we're talking about our teams, let's just skid
it out of the way. Now. The Raiders won a
home game, let's go. But they were looking terrible. I mean,
how bout it?

Speaker 6 (01:00:36):
Oh?

Speaker 15 (01:00:36):
I mean, right now, that might have been the only
football game that was worse to watch from start to
finish than what we were exposed to at six point
thirty in the morning out here on the West Coast
watching Denver and the Jets, or at least the Jets
setting offensive football back nearly a century. Yes, the Raiders
did win on the scoreboard, but let's be honest here
playing because there were no winners on either side with
those two football teams. I mean that game was over

(01:00:57):
kind of before we blinked, And it was such a
low profile game that you look at who Fox had
in studio for the postgame show. They sent all the
A listers home and let everybody else just kind of
talk about the game when it was over exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
You know, Todd. Just the fact that it was played
over in London. I mean maybe that had something to
do with the low scoring game. Are usually the games
low scoring when they go over there?

Speaker 15 (01:01:17):
Or No, No, there haven't been any major trends for that.
We've seen. Favorites typically do well from a straight up perspective,
but it's not like scoring falls off a cliff or
anything along those lines. And seeing the Jets a massive
grand total of eighty two yards with negative ten net
passing yards, that is more or less an outlier even
by Jets Ane MC offensive standards. So yeah, I mean,

(01:01:38):
we don't have much to go I mean I shouldn't
say we don't have much to go off of. We
have a significant sample size, but nothing that suggests the
under or over comes in at a higher the normal clip.

Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
Obviously, it was a rough college football weekend. For me, Todd,
but its era of college football. You can lose a
game still be okay. Just ask every team in the
playoffs last year. It happened to them, especially Notre Dame.
But it wasn't a good make it for James Franklin.
You shocked that they finally pulled the trigger and was
it too early? Should they have let them at least
finished the year?

Speaker 15 (01:02:06):
Look, I'm surprised it happened as quickly as it did,
but how quickly things can turn on you when you
go from being a top three team and have one
of the shortest prices to win the national championship going
into the Saturday night whiteout game against Oregon and they
almost erased a two touchdown deficit and won that game.
You know, in regulation, let alone overtime, and all of
this becomes moot. But the injury to Drew Aller James

(01:02:27):
Franklin losing back to back games is a three touchdown
plus favorite. Apparently Penn State alums were able to pony
up to fifty million rather quickly, and whether it's the
Pegoula family or somebody else, their search will start in
earnest for the next head coach. It's just a question
of what name that they can lure a happy Valley,
Because I'll be honest, if Matt Rule is at the
top of your wish list and that's why you're cutting
ties with James Franklin, I'm not sure that's going to

(01:02:50):
instill this fan base so desperate to get back to
a national championship and win it with the utmost confidence.
But interesting turn of events for a team that everything
in front of them, with a lot of heean on
that roster and a number of pro prospects on both
sides of the ball, so rather disappointing is they'll kind
of play out the string with a backup quarterback under
center going forward.

Speaker 2 (01:03:08):
Well, that's so funny. You said that was playing said
the same thing. Not too crazy about Matt Ruhle. I
thought Matt Rule. I thought it was good to be
a good higher if he comes on over.

Speaker 15 (01:03:17):
I mean, look, has Matt Rule been able to turn
around programs for sure? Is he the guy that's going
to suddenly create all sorts of buzz and happy Valley
and get people believing that he can be the man
to bring them to the mountain top That remains to
be seen. I mean, it's not like he's led an
offensive resurgence at Nebraska just yet. It is going to
be less of a rebuild for whoever takes over. But

(01:03:37):
you know, if you're Penn State and you believe that
you are a true blue blood program, you're going to
kick down every door and you're going to make calls
to every high profile coach, whether it's Kirk Signetti to
convince him to come over from Indiana or calling down
to Oxford to see what it take to bring in
Lean Kiffin. It's going to be very interesting to see
what direction Penn State goes. But in my opinion, if
you're making this decision on Sunday, October twelfth, you better

(01:03:57):
have a list of candidates or spoken to a couple
of names ahead of time or what this becomes before
our very eyes as a coaching search, much like the
Knicks went through this past.

Speaker 1 (01:04:05):
Offseason and Todd one kind of nerdy thought on this.
I travel to a lot of colleges and what I
hear a lot is just, hey, the fight for money.
There's twenty million dollars in revenue sharing. This is real.

Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
This HiT's the budget.

Speaker 1 (01:04:18):
And when something like this happens and they buy out
a coach with this kind of about I just can't
help but laugh at something like that. Should I understand
that this is some sort of separate fund or should
we realize just how hypocritical sometimes it can be whenever
we're talking about money in college sports.

Speaker 15 (01:04:33):
It's just like the neighbors down the street that claim
they're six months from foreclosing on their house, and then
you see their pictures on social media when they stayed
at the four seasons in Bali to try and enjoy
themselves in a blow off, a little bit of team
that appears what college football has really become at this juncture,
because every program wants to cry poverty, yet when they
want to part ways with a head coach, it's not
getting the job done. Somehow, some way, there's a mysterious

(01:04:54):
booster that happens to find forty or fifty million dollars
in their couch cushions, whether it was a Texas A
and M when they needed to try and cut ties
with Jimbo Fisher, or what Penn State will go through
to try and figure out who's going to be in
charge of their football program going forward. But I think
the other question on the flip side of it. Does
James Franklin decide with fifty million reasons to stay at
home and not work another day in his wife want
to get back on the sidelines. You have to imagine

(01:05:16):
that UCLA would probably be somewhat intrigued, and maybe James
Franklin would benefit from being out on the West Coast
where he's not under the same magnifying glass as he
was for all of his time and Happy Valley.

Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
All right, Todd, you know when there's an emergency, Commissioner
Gordon picked up the red phone and called Batman, and
Batman would get in the car and be on his way.
We have a gambling emergency. I want you to know
er er a big emergency. Since when does an Owen
six team become a point and a half favorite for
next week? The Jets are a point and a half

(01:05:48):
faith I'm willing to say that there's never been an
O to six team a favorite. They're a point and
a half favorite over the five hundred Carolina Panthers.

Speaker 15 (01:05:57):
Yeah, I'd have to go back in history to see
what the he his. You know what it looks like
for this kind of ye But I don't expect the
Jets to potentially close the favorite, especially if you believe
the comments that came off from the Jets after the
game about Garrett Wilson dealing with an injury that they're
not quite sure the severity, and then the Jets saying
one thing and the man who shattered him all game,

(01:06:18):
and Patrick certain saying that Garrett Wilson was grabbing at
his ribs throughout the course of the game. So if
he's rolled out as one of the Jets primary playmakers,
I think to see Carolina move into the short favorite role.
But let's keep in minority. We saw the Jets close
the two point favorite just last weekend against the Dallas Cowboys,
and this was a Carolina team who was a three
point home underdog earlier today against Dallas. We know situations

(01:06:38):
are always different. I remember win loss record doesn't factor
heavily into how oddsmakers elect to set the power numbers.
Just as playing about that number we saw yesterday in
Dallas between Texas.

Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
And Oklahoma, ton and I talked a lot about that
this week, man, Well, I mean Oklahoma at one point
in the look Ahad lines was an eleven half point favorite,
or excuse me, Texas was that that was crazy?

Speaker 3 (01:06:58):
Actual probably should have been the number, but it's kind
of odd.

Speaker 1 (01:07:02):
Just final thought for me, and I'm just thinking about
the odds makers and the lines makers.

Speaker 3 (01:07:07):
It's so hard with the injury information.

Speaker 1 (01:07:09):
You get an availability report in the NFL and in college,
NFL seems to stick to it much more than college.
But Todd, I don't know how the odds makers do it.
I don't know how you spread makers do it. It's
just it's challenging to figure out who's in and who's out,
and nobody's upfront about anything.

Speaker 15 (01:07:22):
Yeah, it's trying to figure out which players are value
is properly captured in a particular line move. For example,
the Rams and Jacksonville the perfect illustration. We won't get
an official injury report between those two teams for their
game in London next week until Wednesday, but betters that
believe that Jacksonville could potentially be a live underdog there
are going to take the three before we know about

(01:07:43):
Puku Nakua's availability. So you have to kind of stay
one step ahead because once that information becomes widely available,
you oftentimes can't do much with it. And you mentioned
college football, We saw a scenario like that unfold in
Utah and Arizona State. I mean suddenly, Kenny Dillingham says
that Sam Levitt after a bye week is downgraded and doubtful,
But the betting market kind of tipped the tan before

(01:08:03):
that information even got out. We saw that number go
from five and a half to seven. People scrambled to
try and figure out why. Then Arizona State releases that
he's a long shot to be out there. You see
Utah close as much as a nine to nine and
a half point favorite, and that game was never competitive.
The Metier thing was interesting. I know, you're much closer
to the situation and would never put you on the spot.
I mean we kind of had spoken to people and

(01:08:24):
they more or less said, you know, they thought Mattier,
being the gamer that he was, was going to be
out there. But what we saw, even when his status
was upgraded on Saturday Friday night and a Saturday morning,
Oklahoma went from being a favorite and to Texas being
a short favorite and Texas actually closing by as much
as a field goal favorite.

Speaker 5 (01:08:40):
And anybody who.

Speaker 15 (01:08:41):
Watched that game, I think one of the elements in
the handicap that was undervalued is John McTeer wasn't a
willing and capable runner. You could tell he didn't run
with that same ferocity that we'd seen earlier in the year.
He was worried about landing on the hand and it
really changed some of Oklahoma's offense before you even factor
in what this Texas defense was capable of doing, and
knowing that the Longhorn stock had probably bottomed out in

(01:09:02):
the wake of their loss on the roading game zone
love real.

Speaker 2 (01:09:04):
Quick, Todd, Who's going to get fired for making up
that stupid line that Notere Dame's eight and a half
point favorite over USC Obviously a big, big mistake there.
Somebody's got to get fired.

Speaker 15 (01:09:14):
Which side of the game do you want already in?

Speaker 2 (01:09:16):
I love it, I love love USC, I love them.

Speaker 15 (01:09:21):
Oh there's a good chance. Then welcome this chad next
week and the Irish win by seventeen.

Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
Plus, you're going to be in a bit of crow.

Speaker 15 (01:09:29):
I'm going to go out a record on the record
boys and say that for me right now. Notre Dame
is a top three team in the country. You look
at their two losses against Miami and A and M.
I think they'll hold up on the resume. The Irish
will end up ten and two. And you can make
a legitimate case offensively that CJ. Carr may be leading
one of the more explosive attacks when they get into
the playoffs, if these receivers continue to develop and the
defense takes a step forward. So don't you eulogize the

(01:09:50):
fighting irish just yet. And I'm sure I'll get dirty
looks when I get off the air and tell my
left for Trojans don't have much of a.

Speaker 1 (01:09:56):
Chance next weekend. Thanks aad. We'll talk to you next Sunday.
That I appreciate it.

Speaker 15 (01:10:00):
What is your pleasure again?

Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
There is the man, the myth, the legend, Todd Furman.
All right, run a little behind, let's catch up. Steve
Sager's in the house with everything that's trending. What's up, Steve?

Speaker 9 (01:10:08):
Kansas City with the home win over Detroit tonight thirty
to seventeen and ending the NFL night. There was a
fight right after the game ended, and safety Brian Branch
at the Lions, who not only refused to shake hands
but hit an opponent, admitted after the game it was childish,
but said he's tired of players doing things between plays
that the refs don't catch and feels like he's getting

(01:10:29):
bullied out there, but his coach, Dan Campbell says, I
love Brian Branch, but what he did is inexcusable and
it's not going to be accepted here. Kansas City finished
with by the way, no penalties and no turnovers and
get a double to go three and three. Well, didn't
Casey have like thirteen penalties last week? So this is
a bit different. Tampa Bay five and one after beating

(01:10:51):
San Francisco thirty to nineteen.

Speaker 4 (01:10:53):
Now there is.

Speaker 9 (01:10:54):
Some good news for the Niners that they've actually found
a kicker. After all the problems with Jake Moody.

Speaker 4 (01:10:59):
And letting him go.

Speaker 9 (01:11:00):
Eddie Pinero's now the guy, and he set the record
most field goals made without a miss in your first
five games with a new team fifteen straight for him.
Brandon Aubrey when he started with the Cowboys fourteen straight
before miss Robbie Gold years ago. One No first five
games with the team. Yeah, yeah, most made without a

(01:11:21):
missed for with the new team.

Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
Yeah, but he kicked the first one he missed and
then he went on the street.

Speaker 9 (01:11:26):
I think that was an extra point, not a field goal. Okay,
San Francisco did miss star linebacker Fred Warner out for
the year with this located ankle. Green Bay beat Cincinnati
twenty seven to eighteen Josh Jacob's two touchdown runs. The
Raiders ended a four game losing street Yeah, Tennessee one
t to ten. Do you know the AFC West was

(01:11:46):
undefeated this weekend? Four and oh and in fact, the
AFC has had a four and o day more than
any other division since they relined the divisions over twenty
years ago. This is eleven different times.

Speaker 4 (01:11:57):
The AFC has done that.

Speaker 9 (01:11:58):
It's not just the Chiefs. Chargers won on a field
goal with five seconds left twenty nine, twenty seven at Miami.
And my goodness, that Denver defense is good. Nine sacks
of justin fields in the London game, Denver thirteen eleven
over the New York Jets, who are zero and six.
The Broncos still lead the NFL in sacks. It's thirty total.
Now it's not just a big total like compared for

(01:12:20):
this year. It ties the record most sacks by a
team in your first six games since nineteen ninety. They're
already up to thirty sacks as a club. The Colts, meanwhile,
not two and two bad five and one beat Arizona
thirty one twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
They were one of the worst teams in the NFL
this year.

Speaker 9 (01:12:37):
Well, they are five and one, so that does seem appropriate.
Touchdown with under five minutes to go. Jonathan Taylor over
one hundred and twenty rushing yards in the game, winning
one yard TD. So once again we have a team
that missed the playoffs a year ago and is starting
off well the very next year. In all but one
year since nineteen ninety in the NFL, you always have

(01:12:59):
at least one team tea that misses the playoffs and
then starts at least five to one the next season.
And we did mention earlier. The next Colts game is
at the Chargers next Sunday, and then the Chargers host
a Thursday night game right after that. On the twenty
third against Minnesota, Chargers won with the field goal five
seconds left at Miami twenty nine to twenty seven. Carolina

(01:13:20):
on a field goal final play beat Dallas thirty to
twenty seven. Rams in Seattle, each one on the road
New England as well. Pittsburgh at homebat Cleveland twenty three
to nine. There are two Monday night games coming up.
Penn State fired coach James Franklin. NASCAR win in Vegas
for Denny Hamlin. The NL Championship Series begins Monday night
with the Dodgers at Brewers Al. Game two is five

(01:13:42):
pm Eastern Monday in Toronto, and it's the Seattle Mariners
leading the best of seven after winning at Toronto tonight
three to one, Col Rowley the tying solo homer in
the top of the six. The Mariners, remember, had this
fifteen inning game just to advance to this point, so
their pitchers just threw two hundred pitches in one game tonight.
Four different pitchers added up nine innings one hundred pitches

(01:14:06):
only even, and the winning pitcher was on three days rest,
Bryce Miller. Six innings, one run. First pitch he threw
tonight was a home run. Oh gosh, he allowed one
hit right after that. In fact, in baseball in the postseason,
the last time we saw this that somebody allowed a

(01:14:26):
leadoff homer and then through six seven scoreless innings was
in the Red Sox World Series clincher David Price twenty eighteen.

Speaker 1 (01:14:33):
Back to you all right, thanks a lot, Steve.

Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
By the way, Famous Jones is at quarterback for the Colts.
Could you name the other one?

Speaker 1 (01:14:40):
Bert?

Speaker 15 (01:14:41):
There?

Speaker 2 (01:14:41):
You had go there? Wouldn't it be great?

Speaker 9 (01:14:43):
Of it was LSU fifty years number seven?

Speaker 1 (01:14:45):
I think right, look at you.

Speaker 2 (01:14:47):
I didn't think Plank would know who that was. But
good call.

Speaker 1 (01:14:51):
There he did the commercials you see the beer commercials,
didn't he? Or was it a different commercial on Burt Jones?

Speaker 2 (01:14:57):
Yeah, it is number seven though, you're right about that.

Speaker 3 (01:14:59):
See look me every now and then I remember something.

Speaker 1 (01:15:01):

Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
Seger what you got?

Speaker 4 (01:16:01):
Well?

Speaker 9 (01:16:01):
I found the stat on the Chiefs after their win tonight. Yes,
they had thirteen penalties last week and then zero in
tonight's figure.

Speaker 2 (01:16:08):
They played a perfect game today.

Speaker 1 (01:16:10):
What else?

Speaker 4 (01:16:10):
And no turnovers as well?

Speaker 9 (01:16:12):
Well, there was one penalty whistled it just wasn't accepted,
so it goes down as zero penalties. But the last
time in the NFL you had some team with that
many penalties and then zero the next week was the
end of the twenty twenty three season.

Speaker 4 (01:16:24):
It didn't happen at all to anybody. Last year.

Speaker 9 (01:16:27):
We had a strange injury with Indianapolis today because the
backup quarterback Anthony Richardson not only didn't play again, he
wasn't at the game because he got hurt before he
even left the locker room. He was using the elastic
bands to stretch. There was an equipment malfunction. The result
orbital fracture. Off to the hospital expected to need stitches.

(01:16:49):
And also in pregame warmups, Colts corner Sherverius Ward collided
with a teammates of that concussion. He was unable to play.
And that happened after they'd already submitted to the deadline
of who's inactive today?

Speaker 3 (01:17:03):
So does that mean they couldn't add another player?

Speaker 9 (01:17:05):
They correct, he was done. It was after the ninety minutes.
As for the Raiders, Yes, another Geno Smith turnover.

Speaker 4 (01:17:11):
That's ten already this year.

Speaker 1 (01:17:12):
Words interception, I've ever look it up, Arnie, look it
up the sega. He has a guy in his face
familiar with it. It rose it right, I mean literally,
it's probably the first interception that dude's ever Let me
throw it.

Speaker 9 (01:17:24):
Softer to make sure you can catch it. God, I
thought that this is like a lot of turnovers, and
then I saw the Associated Press list turnovers by Raider
quarterbacks in the first six games of a season this century.
Carrie Collins, Andrew Walter, JaMarcus Russell, Derek Carr, Geno Smith
now with ten in the first six games eighteen, Walter

(01:17:47):
with the record with thirteen in the first sixty. That's
been almost twenty years since he is I.

Speaker 1 (01:17:52):
Andrew Walter autographed Helman if you want to use it
as a earn.

Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
Is he Arizona State?

Speaker 1 (01:17:57):
Yes, he was about six foot nine. I thought he's
going to be a Rocks. I bought taller than broadcast swire. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:18:03):
We had the London game today with Denver winning thirteen
eleven over the Zho to six Jets. This is three
straight weeks of a Sunday morning game in Europe, one
in Dublin and then two at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium in London.
They're going to a different facility next weekend in London.
It's Wembley Stadium next week for Rams against the Jaguars,
and then after a couple weeks off, we've got two

(01:18:24):
more Europe games in November.

Speaker 4 (01:18:26):
One in Berlin and then one in Madrid.

Speaker 9 (01:18:29):
New England won its game at New Orleans twenty five
to nineteen Drake May with three touchdown passes and they
put this graphic up on the Sunday night game. For
a guy at his young age to have five straight
games of a passer rating of at least one hundred
while throwing at least two hundred yards in each of
those games, five games in a row. The only other
guys that have done that in their youth Patrick Mahomes,

(01:18:50):
Dak Prescott, and Dan Marino and now Drake may Rico
Dowdell said hello to Dallas today. Thirty carries one hundred
and eighty three yards a touchdown reception. In fact, he
had two hundred and thirty nine yards from scrimmage. It
just the rushing stats. He had one hundred and twenty
two yards on the ground after contact against Dallas. That's

(01:19:13):
the most by any Panther running back since they've had
the next gen stats. This past month, I mean the
past decade exactly. This past month has been astounding. Yeah,
Walter Payon, Yeah, Dallas is a defense that was allowing
the most yards in the league anyway, for twelve a game,
they allowed for to ten in this game. They were

(01:19:35):
allowing thirty one points per game thirty for Carolina. With
the field goal on the final play to win, I
will say Dak Prescott had three touchdown passes. George Pickens
nine catches one hundred and sixty eight yards in a score,
but while Dowdell had over two hundred yards from scrimmage,
Dallas as a team nineteen carries thirty one yards. The

(01:19:56):
Rams won at Baltimore seventeen to three. At least Derrick
Henry was back and the plus side one hundred and
twenty two yards rushing, but the Ravens had three turnovers.

Speaker 1 (01:20:04):
On red zone.

Speaker 9 (01:20:04):
Tds they were zero for three, and linebacker for the
Rams Nate Landman seventeen tackles in this one. Quarterback Lamar
Jackson of Baltimore out again with the bad hamstring. They
played Cooper Rush, he had turnovers. They played Tyler Huntley,
he was sacked four times.

Speaker 1 (01:20:20):

All you have to do is search Fox Sports Radio
on YouTube and subscribe. What we learned after Week six

(01:20:42):
in the NFL is next Busy Power Hour. We'll tell
you what we've learned about the injuries to star players.
Like Pokinakua didn't look good today for any of the Jets.
We'll see what's the late it's with Garret Wilson. I'm
watching the highlights right now with Justin Fields. Even on
the fourth and eight play Arnie, he didn't have a chance.

(01:21:03):
Nine sacks this morning. Chiefs were amazing tonight in I
guess it's fair to say routing the Detroit Lions and
we got some Monday night football. We'll talk about it.

Speaker 3 (01:21:13):
By the way, you light here on a busy Sunday night,
Go ahead.

Speaker 2 (01:21:16):
You like the double Monday Night if you have to
get rid of one, were to be the Double Monday
Night or the so many London games would.

Speaker 1 (01:21:23):
Get red, you get rid of double Monday nights. Really, yes,
And I'll tell you why, because I do a morning
show now and I feel it's necessary to stay up
and watch everything because I'm a sicko and I just
it's it's useless now when they stagger the starts. I've
kind of won eighty on this, and I think Tomorrow

(01:21:44):
night's a case of this right where one game kicks
off at like six, yeah, six fifteen and seven to
fifteen Central time, God's time zone. Don't use any of
the stupid sometimes z boo. Yeah, Bill's Falcons is a
fun game. Bear's Commanders is interesting. But if one of
those games kicked off like the Raiders and Chargers did

(01:22:05):
at like nine to fifteen, and that's a fifteen on
the East coast, that's bad. So I keep like clazing
a Bagger and I've won eighty on the Stagger because
I didn't like it at first.

Speaker 2 (01:22:16):
Yeah, but then you know, people could play about the
early star time for those London games. I like thirty
on the West coast out there.

Speaker 1 (01:22:24):
I don't get to watch it because my wife only
gives me a certain window. So that's one of those. Ah.
That's hey, listen and guys, I'm sure many of you
feel this. I'm just being honest with you because I
feel like honesty is the key whenever they're all getting
ready for church.

Speaker 3 (01:22:38):
If I try to put on a football game.

Speaker 2 (01:22:40):
Boys, I forget about it.

Speaker 3 (01:22:41):
Big, big trouble.

Speaker 1 (01:22:43):
But I did end up sneaking as much of this
one in this morning, and then I realized very quickly
about midway to the second quarter. I was like, I
think I'm okay here. I think we're good. I think
We've seen all we need to see of the Broncos.

Speaker 10 (01:22:54):
Do you watched the halftime show?

Speaker 3 (01:22:57):
There was their halftime show?

Speaker 10 (01:22:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:22:59):
Who was it?

Speaker 10 (01:23:00):
Jammy and Gigs?

Speaker 1 (01:23:01):
Yeah? Who?

Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
That is my favorite. I love those guys.

Speaker 10 (01:23:04):
Think about them like their equivalent to like the Kendrick Lamar.

Speaker 11 (01:23:08):
Of, like the UK like start of, like the wrapping
underground scene not even underground?

Speaker 3 (01:23:14):
How do you know that?

Speaker 10 (01:23:15):
Because I love them. I actually met somebody.

Speaker 3 (01:23:18):
From Mary mack by the way, runner of the show.

Speaker 1 (01:23:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:23:20):
Mary takes its groundbreaking into the halftime show.

Speaker 11 (01:23:22):
It is and I'm actually very jealous of the Americans
I got to see it because they didn't deserve it.

Speaker 10 (01:23:26):
They were witnessing greatness.

Speaker 2 (01:23:27):
Ouch.

Speaker 3 (01:23:28):
The Americans that got to see it didn't deserve it.

Speaker 2 (01:23:30):
They did not.

Speaker 1 (01:23:31):
They did not, they did not. Are you ready for
some tweets here real quick, Arnie, before we talk about
what we learned or do you want to get into
what we learned?

Speaker 2 (01:23:40):
No, we have a lot of tweets to catch up on.
Somebody who's somebody's listening to us in Turkey right now?
How about that?

Speaker 1 (01:23:45):
Yeah? You know, I gotta tell you right now when
I'm on vacation, I don't get to do a damn
thing sports related. But JP Hunkle Tonight writes, I'm on
vacation in Turkey, but i still have to get my
fix of the show. Congratulations on making it to the
Monday morning drive time slot.

Speaker 2 (01:24:01):
Guys, too bad.

Speaker 1 (01:24:02):
It's half the world away and half the population here
has no idea what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (01:24:07):
Well, that is true, but could you imagine if they
were listening to us out there in Turkey right now?

Speaker 10 (01:24:12):
Don't you speak Turkish?

Speaker 1 (01:24:13):
It's eight oh four a m.

Speaker 10 (01:24:15):
Right now in Turkey, Honey, you speak.

Speaker 2 (01:24:17):
Wow, speak? No, I don't speak Turkish, but we're drive
time in Turkey. They must love me.

Speaker 1 (01:24:21):
You know what I'll follow. I'll follow Jonas Knox's lead,
and we'll leave one minute for the final segment of
this hour. So that's the goal, Patrick, Your segment will
be one minute long for the final segment of this way.

Speaker 2 (01:24:32):
What's the big sport in Turkey? By the way, what
are they?

Speaker 1 (01:24:35):
Probably?

Speaker 10 (01:24:35):
Soccer?

Speaker 3 (01:24:36):
Soccer is just gonna be my guest.

Speaker 1 (01:24:38):
I think. I think if you play soccer, you're in
If you say soccer, you're in good shape. Mister nobody rites.
It's amazing how lucky the Steelers are that the Ravens
and the Bengals have fallen apart. The Steelers have been
getting fat on bad teams. You take that back.

Speaker 2 (01:24:55):
They've been right though, it's the Ravens have fallen a
part since that.

Speaker 1 (01:25:01):
You want to say they're getting fat on bad teams.
I mean they've beaten the Vikings, the Patriots, and the Jets.
I mean, well, the Jets are bad, and that was
a great game too, between the Jets and the Steelers.
But the Patriots are good. They went to New England
and beat them Vikings. I mean, everyone tells me how
great the Vikings are. They beat them. Brown's okay, So
I mean you're gonna have wins over bad teams, that's

(01:25:22):
what it is. But you can't tell me they're just
lucky that they beat them. I think they already couldn't
on the road and beat them.

Speaker 2 (01:25:28):
I think they already could shut the division in the
AFC North already.

Speaker 1 (01:25:33):
I don't know, man, they have more they have.

Speaker 2 (01:25:35):
The three teams combined have as many wins as the Steelers,
I know.

Speaker 1 (01:25:39):
But there's just I still have this weird feeling that
Lamar Jackson's going to come back and that the Ravens
are going to do something.

Speaker 2 (01:25:45):
No matter of fact. I'll tell you now after week six,
I know this. It's o v er four. They did
this last over.

Speaker 1 (01:25:51):
Do you realize your your Dolphins were one in seven
and made the playoffs one year?

Speaker 2 (01:25:55):
No they were not, Yes they were.

Speaker 1 (01:26:00):
Was on the team, and he talked about it today
post game for the Raiders. Let's go. We're back in it.
Let's go, he said. Remember, I'm so optimist. It was
a Landon Roberts. After the Raiders game, he goes, remember,
I'm so optimistic. I was on a one to seven
Dolphins team that went to the playoffs in twenty twenty one.
I've done, been through it, and this team is built
from a talent perspective to a mentality better than that

(01:26:21):
Dolphins team was. Oh take that, and then one more
for mister Nobody writes more on sports fans miseries, The
Yankees have to be one World Series under Aaron Boone.
The Yankees have been to one World Series under Aaron Boone.
But hal Steinbrenner is too busy counting his money to
care again. I'd like to see Arnie top this.

Speaker 2 (01:26:44):
Wow, what do you mean like he top this on, like,
who has.

Speaker 3 (01:26:47):
It worse or something?

Speaker 1 (01:26:49):
Exactly? Haven't they been to the World Series like last year?
I mean, that's you got there last year. I mean,
Arnie's team hasn't even won a playoff game, and.

Speaker 2 (01:26:56):
All my teams think, the Dolphins think. I mean, the
Knicks haven't done anything in such a long time. I
thought last year was going to be their team. I'm
going to go to a bunch of Nick games this year.
I'm ready to roll this year.

Speaker 1 (01:27:07):
Oh I bet you're not. I'm a robber, I'm a writer.
Rob Jay says. If the general manager of the Dolphins,
Chris Greer, isn't fired or as they will say, elevated
to director of something or other, many Dolphin fans and
Dolphins will turn on this team.

Speaker 2 (01:27:24):
He will be fired. If there's a change, he'll be fired,
as well as McDaniel. They'll both go end up going,
They'll be both gone.

Speaker 1 (01:27:33):
Jess right, Arnie. I agree sports are too painful to watch,
so I stick with WWE and ninety sitcoms.

Speaker 3 (01:27:38):
Well, there you go, there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:27:40):
You're not reading the one they every week. They're asking
for it, and you're kind of ignoring it. I don't
understand why.

Speaker 1 (01:27:46):
I don't know which what. I try to favor them all,
and you find one that was like eight hours ago
that someone sent you.

Speaker 2 (01:27:52):
But no, we get a lot. I don't know where
it is now, but it's the one that keeps asking
for me to do the color commentary.

Speaker 3 (01:27:58):
For I block that person.

Speaker 1 (01:28:00):
Oklahoma softball, that's right, Uh, Ucla Dodger, Frank, Come, I
can't do softball with you.

Speaker 2 (01:28:06):
I don't understand.

Speaker 1 (01:28:08):
Ucla Dodger Frank Right. I was really hoping. Arnie gave
the police the quote unquote do you know who I am?

Speaker 3 (01:28:14):
Response? Did you try that?

Speaker 2 (01:28:16):
I was going to try it, but you know, only
if it was like a serious crime. I didn't think
walking my dog deserved the let me do you know
who I am?

Speaker 1 (01:28:24):
But again, I still have questions about this story. It
sounds kind of fake because you never even told us
what they said you were doing wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:28:33):
I was walking the dog on the company, on their
company's property. But we took a picture of the three
cop cars that came for us.

Speaker 10 (01:28:40):
So you were trespassing.

Speaker 3 (01:28:45):
So now this story takes a whole other approach.

Speaker 2 (01:28:48):
Yeah, who brings out three cop cars because I'm walking
the dog trust you.

Speaker 1 (01:28:51):
Live in a rich neighborhood. That's what it is. God,
James Wrights. What teams are going to be sellers at
the trade deadline? Also? Who who do you guys think
are some players who could be traded? I wonder San Francisco.
I think San Francisco are going to be buyers?

Speaker 2 (01:29:07):
They should? You need a j Brown people could be
a possibility, that could be one that could be end
up going.

Speaker 1 (01:29:14):
We got a little bit of time before the trade deadline, right,
it's not till November, November fourth, but I guess in
you blink, I mean it's already now that the clock
strikes midnight in the Central and Eastern time zone. It's
already October thirteenth, for goodness sakes. So November fourth is
going to get here quick.

Speaker 2 (01:29:33):
I know they said it is gone. Who's at is
Bryce Hall of the Jets?

Speaker 3 (01:29:39):
They wore hall?

Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
Excuse me, Bre's Hall of the New York Jets?

Speaker 3 (01:29:43):
Whose they.

Speaker 2 (01:29:45):
The fake reports I keep reading online from the fake
Twitter sphere.

Speaker 1 (01:29:50):
Here's what NFL dot COM's Mark Ross listed as the
most likely candidates to be traded ahead of the deadline.
This is from yesterday. Trey Hendrickson is the most commonly
mentioned name right and he got hurt today too. I
don't know if he came back in the game or not.
But Trey Henderson, Alvin Kamara, i'd be interesting. He had
a good day today. David and Joku the tight end

(01:30:10):
from the Browns. He also has Mark Andrews the tight
end for the Ravens, where we have the story this
week that they could be willing to part with Mark Andrews,
Bradley Chubb and Jalen Phillips. Would you be ready to
part with them? They're on your team? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:30:25):
What I want them? As I were just saying they're
on your team?

Speaker 1 (01:30:28):
Would you?

Speaker 5 (01:30:28):
I know?

Speaker 2 (01:30:29):
But I don't think anybody else is going to really
you know, put up Oh, I need to have these guys.

Speaker 1 (01:30:33):
We need to trade for him right away. Well, Miami
needs to clear some cap space. I know they there's
always teams that need pass rush help. So I don't
know why you wouldn't at least get like a fourth
or fifth round pick for him. Kathon Thibodeau and Jamis
Winston are the other two on this list, according to
Mark Ross of NFL dot com. So there you go,
James I hope that helps you out a little bit.

(01:30:57):
Now on that list, nothing no, no breath on that list.

Speaker 2 (01:31:00):
Did I make up that trade or what? Jeez, I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:31:03):
I kind of why would the Jets trade the guy
that's there number one running back.

Speaker 2 (01:31:08):
Because they're owing six?

Speaker 1 (01:31:10):
Right, But you just don't start trading. Well, I guess
maybe you do if you feel like you can get
something for him. Yeah, exactly right now he is the
Jets leading rusher. So I mean, unless they're just gonna
pun on the season, which it owns six, maybe you
should go ahead and do so. Right, Maybe that's that
moment you're like, all right, we're done. And uh, then
there was one more than I'm that I wanted to get.

(01:31:31):
This is from k all right, and this before we
get to what we learned, K rites Arnie, I'm gonna
loss for words. I've been a Dolphins fan since I
was nine. I'm sixty four. My mom was buried in
Dolphins colors in nineteen ninety one. What happened to my team?

Speaker 2 (01:31:49):
Dan Marino retired, But we didn't win it with Dan Marino,
so that's not going to be the answer. And we
went to the Super Bowl in his first year and
we never went back with him. I don't know what happened,
and I just have no idea.

Speaker 1 (01:32:01):
Yeah, I'm so sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:32:03):
I just Bob Greasy and Larry Zaka and Paul Warfield
and Jim Kick and all those guys got old.

Speaker 1 (01:32:11):
Well, also there were Morris. There was probably some kid
the year they went undefeated in seventy two that said,
whatever it takes, I'll never care if they're good again.

Speaker 3 (01:32:20):
I just want to win the super Bowl and go undefeated.

Speaker 1 (01:32:22):
That was probably me, probably granted that wish, and now
you look at where they are, so 'tis is what
it is, all right, Alrenie, let's get cooking here on
what we learned this week. We are through six weeks. Well,
the Sands two games. We got too many that football
games tomorrow night, right, we got a good sample size
outside of the teams that were on to buy this week,

(01:32:43):
the Vikings and the Texans. So you've already mentioned now
three times on the show how the season is over
for the Races.

Speaker 2 (01:32:49):
I'm gonna do a positive then let me start, Okay,
go ahead, all right, after a week six, I know this.
I mean I didn't want to give him any credit
before the season started. I said they were gonna have
a bad year. But they've done anything but have a
bad year. They've got a great coach that's gonna take
him into the future. They've got a great young quarterback

(01:33:09):
that's gonna take him into the future. And I'm talking
about the Patriots. Hey, Drake may may not be Tom Brady,
but the Patriots are so much better then I gave
him credit for. I thought they were gonna be like
a six and eleven team, maybe seven and ten struggle
this year, and it was gonna be Miami and the
Bills on top of that division. Oh No, Patriots a

(01:33:32):
lot better and they have a very easy schedule the
rest of the way. So I think they're gonna go
and end making the playoffs this year. When it's all
said and done.

Speaker 1 (01:33:39):
I think they're really good. And the Raiders beat him
in Week one somehow to show you how pointless crazy is,
right crazy? After Week six, I know this, I hope
everyone has hit pause and all their hot takes about
binching one rock Party for the rest of the year
for Mac Jones, because again, rock Party is not some

(01:34:01):
speed demon. He at least gives you the element of
running the football and I hope this works out well
for mac Jones where you canna end up getting a deal. Yes,
I'm planning on him being a raider, so I'm just
preparing myself now. But that's not the story, Arnie. How
is Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers doing this the saga?
Make sure I'm out of my count here down four
wide receivers. They're starting running back of Mecha Buka got

(01:34:23):
hurt today as well, and they just went out and
beat the forty nine ers, who were a four and
one team in first place. What's left of the forty
nine ers point? They're dinged up? They're dinged up.

Speaker 9 (01:34:33):
And this was the first time Tampa Bay's actually been
able to take a knee all those last second wins.

Speaker 1 (01:34:39):
It's a good point. They won by eleven today, so
they were able to just work on the victory formation.
You brought up teams that could be I think one
of our texters, did our tweeters excuse me? Brought up
teams that could be in the market to make a
move here, Arnie, who might be buyers? Boy Tampa, I
know that it's just a matter of time before they
get a couple of their guys back in wide receiver,

(01:34:59):
but be in the market for a wide receiver right now,
and I think there might be some pretty good wide
receivers on the market whenever the trade deadline starts approaching.
But my point is, I think the Buccaneers are a
Super Bowl contender, and I know that they've got buy
a few games by the skin of their teeth, but hey,
a win's a win, and they're five and one right

(01:35:19):
now and not the best division in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:35:22):
I brought this up to you last year. You pretty
much ripped me for it, but I'm gonna stick with it.
I said that if you really wanted to go and
get yourself a running back, that Detroit might be willing
to part with one of the running backs. And you said,
why would they want to get rid of Montgomery or
why would they want to get rid of Gibbs.

Speaker 1 (01:35:40):
No, you were specifically talking about Gibbs. Okay, Well, my
whole point was, though, is that, I mean, look at
the money. Look what Dallas did You give money to
the quarterback, you give money to somebody else, you get
CD got money.

Speaker 2 (01:35:54):
You don't have a lot of money left. Can you
afford a luxury of paying two like that, especially when
you've given your wide receivers money and your quarterback's making money.
I'm not so sure Detroit can afford that type of luxury.
I'm wondering if they are going to part with one
of the running backs when it's all and they probably
easily could and draft themselves somebody else to go ahead

(01:36:16):
and make that replacement instead of paying both of them
big money.

Speaker 1 (01:36:19):
Well, are they getting big money right now? I think
Gibbs is.

Speaker 2 (01:36:24):
I'm not sure about Montgomery.

Speaker 1 (01:36:26):
I mean, you seemed very convicted to it, so I
thought you might be able to have some numbers to
go along with that.

Speaker 3 (01:36:32):
To help me out here.

Speaker 2 (01:36:33):
I just prove Arnie proof what's wrong with you. I
just don't think you have the luxury to have, you know,
two running backs of that type of caliber.

Speaker 1 (01:36:42):
Though, David Montgomery's making eight point two million against the
cap this year and Jamiir Gibbs is still on his
rookie deal, he's making four point eight.

Speaker 2 (01:36:52):
Yeah, that's gonna be a problem when he's not on
that rookie deal anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:36:55):
Well, I mean, it's it's not something you need to
do right now. I mean, I think there's still a
super Bowl contender. If you're the locker, your windows open.

Speaker 9 (01:37:04):
Speaking of running backs, before the break, you talked about
who like Rico Dawdle, has had back to back games
with at least two hundred yards from scrimmage in the
last eight years. One guy, Dalvin Cook in twenty twenty.
It has been done more often than I thought. This
is two hundred yards not just rushing, but from scrimmage.
He owned Dallas today. It's impressive. Hey, can I throw

(01:37:26):
one more that I learned before we break? I do
think Aaron Glenn's in over his head. I keep we
going back to this morning game that was terrible, more
than any of the morning games that we've.

Speaker 1 (01:37:35):
Ever talked about on Fox Sports Radio. But I think
the Jets, I mean, I don't want him to have
to fire him now, but oh, is it.

Speaker 2 (01:37:43):
Fair to fire him after well even after Is it
fair to fire him after one after one year?

Speaker 1 (01:37:48):
Yes, I think it's fair after one year, especially if
it continues.

Speaker 3 (01:37:52):
Now he might go on a run and they turn
things around.

Speaker 2 (01:37:54):
Why do you say he looks it over his head
just because of the six sauses or just his demeanor
on the Because this demeanor on the sideline looks like
he's completely lost.

Speaker 1 (01:38:03):
It reminds me of your boy. It reminds me of
McDaniel a.

Speaker 2 (01:38:06):
Little bit, does actually?

Speaker 1 (01:38:07):
Does you know?

Speaker 9 (01:38:07):
On a defensive mind, they converted the fourth and one
late in the first half, took a time out with
a minute to go, and did what exactly the Jets
in the last minute and they.

Speaker 1 (01:38:17):
Lose by two points.

Speaker 9 (01:38:19):
I can see why Garrett Wilson was upset. Can we
at least try for a field goal here?

Speaker 1 (01:38:24):
Did we have clock management issues? In the ou Texas
game on Saturday days? They got sacked.

Speaker 9 (01:38:30):
They not only the Jets took took time out, but
they gave up on the following play.

Speaker 1 (01:38:36):
It rose.

Speaker 2 (01:38:37):
Huh if they had a real good quarterback, wouldn't that
make a difference on that theme?

Speaker 1 (01:38:41):
Sure of course it would, maybe not.

Speaker 4 (01:38:43):
Dear Rodgers in general, you.

Speaker 2 (01:38:45):
Just praised Aaron Rodgers what he's doing with Pittsburgh. He
was on the team last year.

Speaker 1 (01:38:49):
Yeah, but I mean, come on, dude, that was a
much different world. He had better, he had, he has
better weapons around and judge.

Speaker 2 (01:38:56):
Record, if Mahomes was the quarterback this year, would they
be three and three?

Speaker 1 (01:39:01):
I don't, I mean, why do you want.

Speaker 9 (01:39:03):
This would not have gain the worst passing performance in
the history of the New.

Speaker 4 (01:39:08):
York Jets, which is horrible.

Speaker 1 (01:39:10):
I could you know what, I promise you that if
Mahomes was there, they wouldn't have done that.

Speaker 9 (01:39:14):
They at least got you know, they forced a turnover.
They literally had no takeaways the whole season until today.

Speaker 1 (01:39:21):
By the way, all this negativity you've had today on
your Dolphins. You do know who they play next week? Right?

Speaker 2 (01:39:27):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:39:28):
I did know?

Speaker 2 (01:39:29):
I don't remember off the top of my hand.

Speaker 3 (01:39:30):
It's the Browns.

Speaker 1 (01:39:32):
You got one in five versus one and five. Baby,
there he goes. Let's get back on track, all right.

Speaker 2 (01:39:38):
We couldna want to watch the game. Was watching door
Sanders get to start.

Speaker 1 (01:39:42):
Oh he's dil Gabriel looked, okay, why would you go
with Sanders? Had?

Speaker 2 (01:39:46):
Well, say Gabriel, we had four passes over ten years.

Speaker 9 (01:39:49):
He'll throw sixty times next week exactly, Kevin Stefanski if
he's even the coach?

Speaker 1 (01:39:53):
All right, when we come back. Gets you ready for
Arnie's picks to Sagar's final update, more of your tweets,
and Arnie's got a for you tonight. It's all coming
up right here on Fox Sports Radio. Hey, they're in
the baseball postseason. Strauss has made History is the first
brand ever on the Helmets family owned since nineteen forty eight.
Strauss makes workwear built to perform, smart pocket design, real

(01:40:16):
comfort and durability. You can trust from the grit to glory.
Gear up today at Strauss dot com. Thats st r
a Uss dot com. I just saw this note from
John Paul Morosi. You're John Morosi on with Jason and
Mike there in the baseball season. He writes, the Mariners
of what ALCS game won on the road before at
Yankee Stadium in two thousand, Alex Rodriguez home and for

(01:40:40):
Seattle and Freddie Garcia pitched six and two thirds scoreless innings.
The Yankees won the next three games in a row
and the series in six. So I know we all
need Jork after one game, but history, we'll see how
it plays that form. I do like I do like
this Seattle team a lot. Where the heck did they
come from? They're just on fire right now.

Speaker 2 (01:41:01):
I'm more into the NLCS.

Speaker 1 (01:41:04):
Well, I mean obvious, I'd like Dodger Phantom trying to
get you to talk about the game that happened tonight.
But go ahead, go ahead, get back into the other side.

Speaker 2 (01:41:11):
I'm with you, no, just I've always been a nationally guy.
But I mean, either way, I think i'd want to
see Seattle win. Keep it in the United States and
have you know, one of the teams in Toronto and
see what happen.

Speaker 1 (01:41:22):
Yeah, how dare they? Since that's terribly that's closer to
you than I think Oklahoma is. So tis is tis
is what it is? All right, Listen, we got to
Sager coming up here in just a bit. I want
to play this audio from uh Dan Campbell. This was
about the shoving incident that took place after the game tonight,
involving Brian Branch. Oh, hold on, that sounds terrible. You

(01:41:45):
know what. Basically, the bottom line, more than anything else
is he was not happy with it.

Speaker 3 (01:41:50):
It was unacceptable.

Speaker 1 (01:41:52):
Quote. I love Brian Branch, but what he did is
inexcusable and it's not going to be accepted here. But
I guess bottom line, more than anything else on he
is to say much ado about nothing.

Speaker 2 (01:42:00):
Yeah, big, I'm just about to say, is that really
a big deal? You lost the game? Timbers got the
best of everybody. After the game, at least the best
of Branch. Yeah, he took a swing. It wasn't It
was a whole bunch of nothing, and nobody got hurt.
You move on, and nobody's gonna be talking about this
in two days from now.

Speaker 3 (01:42:16):
It was cool in the moment, though, wasn't it.

Speaker 13 (01:42:18):
I love Brown Branch, but what he did is inexcusable
and it's not going to be accepted here. It's not
what we do, it's not what we're about. I apologize
to uh Coach Reid and the Chiefs and uh, you know,
and shoot, that's not okay.

Speaker 1 (01:42:35):
You know. The one thing that's interesting to me about
it is, immediately after that game was over and your
true knee trick reaction, a team that just lost on
the road in Kansas City, who fell only to four
and two on the season, you immediately started asking what's
wrong with the Lions so and you started to want
to bench Jared Goff. I'm being somewhere, just.

Speaker 2 (01:42:53):
No, I just look what made him get so upset.
I'm really not even sure about that. And when we
were praising on Kansas City offensively, I'm like, their defense
looks really good. Also, I thought they did a really
good job on stopping Detroit. The especially have Detroit moved
the ball so well in that first drive.

Speaker 1 (01:43:09):
Detroit went right down the field on the first drive and.

Speaker 2 (01:43:13):
Came up with ten minutes of the clock. Yeah, you
do that.

Speaker 1 (01:43:15):
And you don't score a touchdown, You're gonna be in
trouble against Kansas City.

Speaker 3 (01:43:19):
Kansas City has a bye week.

Speaker 1 (01:43:20):
Next week they play the Raiders at home, and I mean,
the last time the Raiders beat Kansas City at home
was on Christmas with Antonio Peers. So it can be done.
But I just have this terrible feeling that Kansas City
is fighting gets dried here early in the season. All Right,
one final time Tonight Steve is Saga with an update
to look back on Week six so far in the
world of the NFL and much much more in sports.

(01:43:41):
What's going on, Steve?

Speaker 9 (01:43:42):
Like that Mariners win we had mentioned last hour. Seattle
as a team only threw one hundred pitches tonight, fewest
by a winning team in a playoff game since the
twenty eighteen Dodgers three to one the final at one
seed Toronto. Tonight, Cal Rowley the tying solo homer in
the top of the six This postseason, He's ten for
twenty five. His Mariners team takes the opener of the ALCS.

(01:44:04):
Jorge Polanco RBI singles in the sixth and eight innings.
Blue Jay's got a homer on the first pitch, bottom
of the first George Springer and after that went one
for twenty eight at the plate. The losing pitcher, Kevin
Gosman five strikeouts in five and two thirds. The winning pitcher,
Bryce Miller, on three days rest, went six innings, one
run saved. Andres Munoz now All Star pitcher for the Mariners.

(01:44:26):
Brian wu has returned to the roster for this round.
He's been out with pectoral inflammation. Maybe we'll see him
later in the series. He did go fifteen and seven
this year. This Seattle team that won the AL West
won ninety games despite a team batting average of two
forty four. Toronto had the best batting average of any
team over to sixty four. They tied for first in

(01:44:47):
the AL East with the Yankees, but held the tiebreaker,
and they get shortstop Bob Bouschette back for a World
Series question mark. He's still out this round with a
spray knee. He's been working out. He can run in
a straight line. That doesn't help you in baseball. He's
been out since early September. Now, pitchers Max Schurzer and
Chris Bassett of Toronto are back on the roster this round.

(01:45:07):
The NLCS begins Monday night, Dodgers at Brewers. Pitcher Blake
SNeW will start for LA. Game two starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto
on the road. Milwaukee is seated number one overall deservedly
ninety seven wins, and in July the Brewers went six
and oho against the Dodgers, swept three in LA and
swept three in Milwaukee, and Milwaukee just took Game five

(01:45:28):
of the Division series to eliminate the Cubs over the weekend.
Dodgers advanced last Thursday with the eleven inning victory against Philly.
The Dodgers starters are hot. The team is hot. It
has won twenty of its last twenty six games. The
bullpen is the exact opposite of hot. But as long
as they can throw starters in the bullpen, what do
you know? They're still alive. Without Roki Sasaki out of

(01:45:48):
the pen, in eventure, they wouldn't be here. The NLCS
again starts Monday night, NASCAR winning Vegas for Denny Hamlin.
Kyle Larson finished second. This was the playoffs Round of
eight opener. Hamlin his sixth victory this year. He started
from the poll. In an NBA preseason game in China
this morning, the Nets beat the Suns by two. Phoenix
won the first game this weekend in overtime. The NBA's

(01:46:10):
exhibition schedule ends this Friday night. Just one NHL game tonight,
Washington A won nothing winner at the Rangers. Penn State
fired football coach James Franklin in his twelfth year there.
He has still owed nearly fifty million dollars. Penn State
is zero to three in conference, losing to UCLA and
Northwestern the last two weeks, and Oregon State at oh
and seven fired it's coach Trent Bray and UAB fired

(01:46:32):
coach Trent Dilfer, the former quarterback. Indiana is up to
number three in the new polls Ohio State.

Speaker 4 (01:46:37):
Number one, Miami number two.

Speaker 9 (01:46:39):
There are two NFL games on Monday, four and one,
Buffalo averaging about thirty points a game at Atlanta, which
is two and two, but the Falcons do have the
number one ranked defense so far. Chicago's at Washington. Surprisingly,
Washington with the running backs it's gone through is the
number one rushing team in the league so far, over
one hundred and fifty five yards a game on the

(01:47:00):
ground on average. The Sunday night game at Kansas City
went to the Chiefs over Detroit, ending the Lions four
game winning streak thirty to seventeen. Patrick Mahomes four total touchdowns.
Chiefs had no penalties and no turnovers in this one.
Green Bay beat Cincinnati twenty seven to eighteen. Boy the Bengals,
and it wasn't just Joe Flacco's fault. He didn't help early,

(01:47:20):
but first quarter they had one yard of offense and
Green bayd over one hundred. By halftime, it was four
first downs four punts for the Bengals. Joe Flacco forty
yards passing in the first half they were down ten
to nothing. He wound up with two touchdown passes in
the game. This is a Cincinnati team that allows about
thirty points a game. They gave up twenty seven here
Josh Jacobs two touchdown runs. Tampa Bay is five to

(01:47:43):
one after beating San Francisco thirty to nineteen. Baker Mayfield
two touchdown passes the defense had six sacks, Mac Jones
almost three hundred fifty yards passing in the loss two interceptions.
San Francisco's star linebacker Fred Warner is out for the
year with a dislocated and broken ankle, and a great
game from a Raider linebacker Devin White in the win
over Tennessee twenty to ten. White had an interception forced

(01:48:06):
to fumble, had a sack nine tackles as well, and
even though star tight end Brock Bauers was out again
with a knee injury, tight end Michael Mayer had five
catches fifty yards in a score Ashton gent rookie running
backs seventy five yards rushing and a score Titans with
three turnovers, all by the rookie quarterback cam Ward, who
was sacked six times. Raiders led seventeen to nothing. Late

(01:48:27):
third quarter victories for New England and Indianapolis. Wins for
Seattle and Pittsburgh Chargers on a field goal with five
seconds left. One at Miami twenty nine twenty seven, Carolina
on a field goal final play beat Dallas thirty to
twenty seven. That last drive for the Panthers fifteen plays worth.
They took up the last six minutes of the game.

(01:48:47):
They converted a third down thanks to pass interference. They
also converted a fourth and four and eventually beat Dallas's
Rico Dawdle on thirty carries, had one hundred and eighty
three yards rushing and a touchdown reception. One at Baltimore
seventeen to three. Ravens are one and five, and the
day started in London, Denver over the Jets thirteen eleven.
Jets are zero to six. Next week's game in London

(01:49:09):
Rams versus Jacksonville.

Speaker 1 (01:49:10):
Back to you go.

Speaker 3 (01:49:11):
Hey, great stuff tonight, Steve.

Speaker 1 (01:49:12):
You have an awesome week. Thank you all right. So
it's your choice here, Arnie. Yeah, you can either go
with the best tweets of the night or I know
you had a Instagram reel, Facebook little video that caught
your attention today. Which way would you rather go?

Speaker 2 (01:49:26):
Let's do both. But they begin to my video real
quick because I watch these TikTok videos. I watch these
couples that move here. They're British couples, and they love
coming to the United States and they go to like
football games or college games. They experience America, the eat
American food for the first time. And I mean they're
they're totally addicted to American stuff. Listen to this. One

(01:49:47):
guy's name is Harley the Britt Hardly the Brit, and
he was talking about American football. Listen to what he
had to say. I need your help desperately.

Speaker 3 (01:49:57):
So it's occurred to.

Speaker 12 (01:49:59):
Me that we coming in or are in the middle
of football season and I'm not talking soccer, I'm talking
American football.

Speaker 2 (01:50:08):
So what I need your help with is how does
a guy.

Speaker 12 (01:50:12):
That was American football yeah you can't hear it, or
didn't have parents that supported a team, how does someone
like me decide who am I going to support? Which
football team do I support? Because I have absolutely no idea.
I remember when I was younger, I did play American
football for one year, but I was on the under
twenty one, so that was only one year. I mean,

(01:50:33):
I know the Seattle Seahawks and school Brian Bosworth, but
that's about it.

Speaker 2 (01:50:38):
So there you go. I don't know if you heard
the whole thing, Chris, but he want.

Speaker 1 (01:50:42):
No I did I did? I By the way Patrick
played it, I thought I was playing it and I
thought my equipment was screwed up.

Speaker 3 (01:50:48):
Anyway, go ahead, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:50:52):
Right, Well he just wants to what's the one team
he should root for? You if he has no ties
to any city or anything in America and he wants
to roo for a team, and I was thinking about this,
I was thinking the teams that he shouldn't root for
because he sounds like a nice guy. You can't be
an Eagles fan because those people are just crazy. So
you I mean to go from that accent to a

(01:51:15):
crazy Eagles fan. You can't do that. You can't be
a Cowboys fan. I would tell him, no, that that's horrible. Yeah,
you're gonna be miserable for years and years to come,
so you might as well cross that one off the list.
Don't be a Dolphins fan. Forget about that. That you'll
be miserable for like fifty years. If I was tell
him to pick one team, I would either tell him

(01:51:36):
to pick like either Pittsburgh or the New York Giants,
who have a young quarterback and they may be good
for the future, but you know, Pittsburgh's got those die
hard fans. So if you really want to experience American
football and you know, and be happy with the fan base,
I would tell him to be a Pittsburgh Steeler fan.
If you're just picking a team out of the blow, you.

Speaker 3 (01:51:56):
Know, why not?

Speaker 1 (01:51:57):
The Seahawks even mention them in his little.

Speaker 2 (01:52:00):
On he did, he did, But come on, now, would
you really if you're picking any team, would you want
to pick Seattle?

Speaker 11 (01:52:06):
I think if you want to find a good team
for him, you have to know who he roots for
soccer wise, because it'll be easier to like kind of
find an equivalent.

Speaker 2 (01:52:13):
Like by the way I am or something.

Speaker 1 (01:52:15):
I immediately turn on anyone that's like and I'm not
talking about soccer when I say football, all right now,
I'm out. It's and I understand that it's the world's game,
but it's football. Football's football, it's American football. If you
have to put that in front of it, fine, but
it's whenever you have that disclaimed, I'm like out.

Speaker 2 (01:52:32):
Maybe he should be a Raiders fan. I mean, he
would love the little Vegas thing.

Speaker 1 (01:52:36):
And why the hell wouldn't be a Chiefs fan? Patrick Mahomes,
I mean, you like, literally going to Steelers. When was
the last time they won a playoff game? Why would
you not be a Chiefs fan? They're winning?

Speaker 2 (01:52:47):
My kids just jump on the bandwagon like that. You
can't just be Well, that's what he's a bandwagon. I
can't tell him to just jump on the Chiefs. And
what happens with Mahomes leave? Are you're going to be
happy about that?

Speaker 13 (01:52:58):
Now?

Speaker 2 (01:52:59):
You can't.

Speaker 1 (01:53:01):
Forty years old, Mahomes isn't going anywhere for like a decade.
Maybe it's just in years of goodness with Kansas City.
I wish I could be a Chiefs fan.

Speaker 2 (01:53:09):
Maybe you should start at the bottom and be like
a Saints fan and work your way up or a
Judge fan.

Speaker 1 (01:53:14):
No, why would you want to do that? But you
just by the way, Jackson Dart is one bad game
away from you coming on here and saying you don't
think he's the guy. He had one good game against
Philadelphia and now he's the greatest thing ever. I mean,
my gosh, you are very very very easy to go
ahead and get all fired up. And so who'd you
say this guy was? Because like on the brit Harley,

(01:53:38):
the brit Harley, the brit and are you sure it's
not some dude from like I don't know from acting
like he's British.

Speaker 2 (01:53:48):
I've seen his video from Birmingham, like RV.

Speaker 3 (01:53:51):
He looks like he's from Birmingham.

Speaker 1 (01:53:54):
He looks like he grew a mustache and he's like,
let me fool some people with his British accent.

Speaker 2 (01:53:58):
They love America, man, they love it, Like they go
to Bucky's and experience that had They just go to
all kinds of places. They go to American football games
and they just don't believe their eyes. They think it's
like the craziest thing ever out there.

Speaker 1 (01:54:12):
I've just come to Arnie. You're kind of a simpleton.
You're like me in a lot of ways.

Speaker 9 (01:54:16):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (01:54:16):
It's like someone experiencing American things for the first time.
Is your idea of high entertainment? I think I'm here.

Speaker 2 (01:54:22):
This one girl, like I guess in England they don't
have like ranch dressing. This one girl is like addicted
the ranch stresses, Like this is the best thing. Do
they not have seasoning over there?

Speaker 10 (01:54:34):
They do, but it's not as good.

Speaker 2 (01:54:36):
Yeah, And you know what they don't have. They don't
have a like if you don't finish your meal, you're
not allowed to take it to go. You can't take it.

Speaker 10 (01:54:42):
That's not true.

Speaker 2 (01:54:43):
That's what they said. That's what that's what Harley said.

Speaker 1 (01:54:46):
When you get the go they're obviously faking. Now we
found we found their kryptonite. Arnie, they're from Indiana.

Speaker 2 (01:54:53):
You want to hear this, No free refeels for soda.

Speaker 10 (01:54:57):
That's also not sure.

Speaker 3 (01:54:58):
That's what he said anyway.

Speaker 1 (01:55:01):
Anyway, so there you go. Artie wants your help and
helping out British Johnny or John the Brint or so.

Speaker 2 (01:55:06):
Harley the Brint, Harley the bread.

Speaker 1 (01:55:08):
Harley Race, and he wants to try to help him
out win the n WA title. So at Stick a
genius one at a plank show. I don't know why
you wouldn't ride away, be like, yeah, let me be
a cheese fan. I want to win. Let me be
a Dodgers fan. If it's baseball, I want to win.
I mean, why would you want to try to If.

Speaker 2 (01:55:23):
It was gonna pick a baseball team, I would tell
him to be a Yankee fan.

Speaker 1 (01:55:28):
But you just heard that they're doomed. Man, come on,
it's over in New York.

Speaker 2 (01:55:32):
Yeah, but the whole historic I mean, look, if you're
really gonna pick football, you probably should steer him to
be a cowboy fan. If you're gonna pick like the.

Speaker 1 (01:55:39):
Store, what was the last time that they were in
the Super Bowl mix.

Speaker 2 (01:55:42):
Don't you want to go strectly for winners, are you?
I mean, they can't be just that's what you told us.

Speaker 3 (01:55:47):
It's all about.

Speaker 1 (01:55:49):
Oh gosh, man, all right, So Harley Race is winning
your help and picking out a team, and you help
him out.

Speaker 3 (01:55:57):
We got to get a break.

Speaker 1 (01:55:58):
There is a picture that is making the rounds from
the ap of Brian Branch and Juju smith Schuster, and
it's Isaiah Pichecko kind of saving Juju smith Schuster because
my man James Winchester is right there to try to
help out the Chiefs long snapper. But the picture is

(01:56:20):
more damning than the actual incident is. Because I'm just
going to try to do my best to describe it.
Smith Schuster is on his back on the ground, helmet off,
and Branch has his right fist cocked, and Isaiah Pichecko
is on his back trying to pull Branch off. Juju.
I guess I got a little bit more intense than
we thought between those two guys. But you heard what

(01:56:43):
Dan Campbell said about it. He's not happy. We'll see
if the NFL reacts. All Right, Arnie's picks are coming
up next to take us home, right here on Fox
Sports Radio. All right, it is a final segment for us.
So thanks to Mary Mack for grinding all day today
here at Fox Sports Radio, Patrick Sweeka, who hooked us
up with Todd Freman and got us all the great
audio for the program tonight. Also thanks to you guys

(01:57:05):
for being a part of it. We'll hit some of
the best tweets here in just a bit, and of
course Steve di Sega on updates, along with the millions
and millions of editors behind the scenes who brought us
all the great audio for the program tonight, including what
I guess you could say was the I don't know,
would you call it the biggest player of the day,
Carolina getting that game winning field goal from some dude

(01:57:26):
named Ryan Fitzpatrick or Ryan Fitzgerald who I've called Ryan
Fitzpatrick about.

Speaker 3 (01:57:31):
Twelve times here tonight, Here you go. Here was the
best call today.

Speaker 5 (01:57:35):
J J.

Speaker 14 (01:57:35):
Janssen, the federable Chanson to snap, Martin puts it down,
Fitzgerald swings.

Speaker 2 (01:57:41):
The leg the kick.

Speaker 14 (01:57:42):
Thanks good at the Panthers win it. Ryan Fitzgerald the
game winning field goal. Carolina thirty Dallas twenty seven.

Speaker 1 (01:57:53):
Sweet Carolina, Indeed, yah, there you go. Carolina and Dallas
continues some wild roller coadeaster seasons on their parts. H
Dallas now falls to two and three on the season. Meanwhile,
Carolina finds themself for now in second place in the
NFC South at three and three.

Speaker 2 (01:58:12):
Incredible.

Speaker 1 (01:58:14):
All right, anyway, sig for Arni's picks. Take it away,
stinking genius. What you got for us tonight?

Speaker 2 (01:58:18):
Let's do it. Let's get right at it. Let's get
to the college game. By the way, he won five
and five of my college picks last week. Not too great.
I'm gonna take Georgia. Lay the six and a half
against Old miss who.

Speaker 3 (01:58:29):
That's a There's wait, there's six and a half point dogs.

Speaker 2 (01:58:34):
Georgia is six and a half point favorite.

Speaker 3 (01:58:37):
Oh okay, Sorry, yeah, I thought you said given my bad.

Speaker 2 (01:58:40):
No, I'm sorry if I did. I'm taking Georgia. You
said it right, you said, okay, minus the six and
a half.

Speaker 1 (01:58:46):
There.

Speaker 2 (01:58:47):
I'm gonna take Texas Tech. I gotta lay a lot
of Lumbia or Chrez. I gotta lay ten and a
half against Arizona State, but I'm gonna do it. I
think Texas Tech is gonna route them the game's int
em beat. I like Alabama. Did you see the one
in the Alabama Tennessee game?

Speaker 1 (01:59:01):
Griz of you listen, I'm gonna guess, like what six
and a half Obama?

Speaker 2 (01:59:06):
I'm laying nine and a half Alabama against Tennessee. You
already heard me tell Todd Furman, I'm all over usc
plus eight and a half against Notre Dame. That's a
lot of lumber, is it?

Speaker 13 (01:59:20):
Not?

Speaker 2 (01:59:20):
Eight and a half?

Speaker 1 (01:59:21):
For what have you seen from? That was a good
one over Michigan this weekend. But I don't know, man,
big games they use.

Speaker 2 (01:59:27):
You know what's a big game that nobody's gonna talk
about that's coming in under the radar? I would to
take us to Houston, Utah minus three and a half
on the road at BYU, and that's gonna decide to
go the Holy War. Wow, let me get to the
two NFL games.

Speaker 1 (01:59:43):
All you know so little about the other teams in
the Big twelve. It's hilarious.

Speaker 2 (01:59:47):
I think I knew it was the Holy War. But
I like Buffalo minus three and a half against the
Atlanta Falcons. Give me the Washington Commanders minus five and
a half against the Bears. And in baseball. Take Seattle
over Toronto and six, my Dodgers over Milwaukee and six,
and my Dodgers bringing home the World Series.

Speaker 1 (02:00:04):
So there you have my picks.

Speaker 2 (02:00:05):
Do with them as you please, no longer strictly for
entertainment purposes only.

Speaker 1 (02:00:09):
And if you follow Arnie on Twitter, you know he'll
change his mind and change most of his picks by
the time he takes that screenshot of the yellow pad
with his unlegible handwriting and you can find it. I'll
tell you a sneaky good game this weekend in college
football to keep an eye on. And again I'm I'm
not going to go with Oklahoma like I typically would,

(02:00:31):
but Texas A and M at Arkansas. Arkansas looked pretty
good last week. That was Bobby Petrino's first game as
their head coachs yeah, his first game, all right, Arnie,
I have a great week. Enjoyed. See the Legend, the Man,
the mid the Legend, Big Big Mallars next on Fox
Sports Radio.
