(00:22):
What a disastrous sports week for you? Man?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
I don't I don't want to do sports anymore. I
want to try to, I can't do it anymore. This
this is like the worst part. This is this is
the worst that's ever been for me in sports. Totally
your own fault. We lost to you, guys. That's like
a junior college.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Right man. We don't even care about basketball, and we
smoked you and you act like you're good at it
or something. Wow, she smoked you and then you lost.
You were so beaten up by she got beat by
a crap team the next night. Holy smokes.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Let's talk politics.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Go ahead, where you want to stop?

Speaker 3 (00:57):
No, no, no, no.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
What you guys would understand what? He doesn't know anything
about positics? So go ahead, Arnie, Actually fair enough?

Speaker 2 (01:05):
What did you guys think of the election.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Pretty crazy, wasn't it. How about Joe Biden pardoning Hunter
by stop and stop. You're the one that wanted to
go down this road. I can't do so.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
I'm having a sports nervous breakdown. I mean, I can't
do it anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
I have no more hold on se Can I just
say one thing real quick on this and then you
can go ahead do your thing. How many times has
he had a sports mental slash nervous breakdown? Dude? Like three?

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Four, five?

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Yeah, six times?

Speaker 3 (01:32):
That's just a.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
But I've always had medication, which was my Arizona basketball team.
But they're no good watch out guys off his meds.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Yeah, this isn't good right now?

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Well, sorry sucks.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Sorry you want this you because of you? You made
me jinx my own team by making me bet on them.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
That's right, Always someone else's fault. Here's the week for
Arnie number one. After all the gas he talked about,
it's all going to be fine. The Dolphins are well.
You know, I'll actually give you credit on this. You
weren't someone that was like, oh, we're a playoff bound
now that tour was healthy like that.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
You had a shot picked underwin got smoked.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah. Then then earlier in that actually that was night
earlier in the day, my Oklhomus Sooners beat Arizona in basketball.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
We're a basketball school.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
And then your Arizona Wildcats not only got beat but
got embarrassed by your art trival, the Arizona State sun Devils, who,
by the way, in this incredibly weak what you call
this like some sort of NAIA conference? What do you
guys win like two games? Yeah, Big Sky? Would you
want two games in there this year?

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Well hoping, well, we'll get our payback. I was hoping
in basketball, but I'm not so sure now.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Yeah, I what a rough week, man, Sorry about that.
It was so bad for your football team. Yeah, two
and seven in this crap Big Sky League. Well done,
and I think both of your wins were over former
Pac twelve school.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Oh no, you beat Kansas State.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I apologize, so uh no, no, no, you lost the
Cancersity and Houston. So you haven't even beaten a team
that was in like the original Big twelve.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Oh my gosh, you're so doomed for the future.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
This has been the worst it's been ever been for.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Ever got ever terrible too.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Man'd your how'd your college picks go, you got those
to lean on.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
My pro picks were good. They were nine in one
in my I don't know.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
If if we can uh what's the word validate those?

Speaker 2 (03:26):
When did you when I put it on Twitter this morning?

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Okay? On Twitter this morning?

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Okay? All right, a right, Well we'll go back to
the yellow pad and you say, why do you make
him do something? Because we don't care about your record
in picks, arny. We care more about the real world. See,
here's the thing. You gotta be careful. Like you start
getting good, people think you're really gambling on these games
and they count on you for advice. You're not really
gambling on these I just gambled on my nix and

(03:52):
I've made one physical financial investment and it's a future
bed of like twenty bucks on Arizona and the Knicks.
That's the only investment you've made worth ten g true
or false?

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Fifty bucks fell sorry, so it would have been false.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
You could have called me on. Well beyond that, how
was to play?

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Missus? Lincoln? Did you enjoy your holidays week?

Speaker 4 (04:16):
You and I?

Speaker 1 (04:16):
You and I had a Wednesday night together and then
you were having to watch too What a night to
be filling in from a nine p to one a
Central time, ten to two Eastern and Jason and Mike's slot.
When you had Thursday night, you had your Dolphins and
Green Bay, and then on Friday night, I mean that
game was basically your whole first halfway program before between

(04:38):
Georgia and Georgia Tech.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
I couldn't believe it was going on. I actually lost
track of how many overtimes it was early. I think
I had missed one because I didn't know if they
were supposed to go for two or I was getting confused.
I'm like, wait a minute, do they have to go
for two?

Speaker 4 (04:51):
And seemed like everyone was, oh.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
It was.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
It was just I'm just because I'm trying to watch,
I'm trying to, you know, do this show. It was
crazy because who had expected to go what seven to
eight overtimes or whatever it was, And but it was great.
It was so much fun to watch. It was it was.
It was unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
It was.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
It was actually you could hear us pausing, uh to
watch like certain plays and overtime because like is it over?
Did they score? Did they not? So it was tough,
but it was it was a lot of fun to.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Be spoiling it with your play by play from the future.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
No, actually I was behind I. Oh then I did
I hook it up on my phone because they were
ruining it for me, so I wanted to be the
same time.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
So you see how much that sucks. Yeah, then it sucks.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
It's the right see.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Anyway, what you mention?

Speaker 4 (05:42):
Would you say eight overtimes?

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Eight?

Speaker 1 (05:44):
I think yeah, kind of like going four and eight
in college football.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Like the Arizona Wildcats.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
It's been a rough year. I don't know if we're
ever going to get back to where we were last year.
It's just you're the uh wide receiver.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
Yeah, he's projected as like a top five pick right now.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Yeah, he should be. He should be good.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Even though he was forced to play in that offense
this year.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
He did finish with over thirteen hundred yards though that's
not too bad anyway. We're not here to bury all
these Arizona Wildcats or my Oklahoma Sooners after a frustrating year.
We're here to talk about, well, at some point we're
gonna get to college football. Some point we're going to
We're going all in tonight because I have no idea
what's gonna happen tomorrow night, and I sure as I
don't know what's gonna happen next Sunday. I the upsets

(06:28):
from yesterday have me what do the kids say nowadays?
On tilt? So we'll go through my thought process Arni,
and we'll try to figure this out coming up next hour.
But were you okay not having a show yesterday to
talk through all of this because you've been on the
air like every night since last Sunday? Were you okay
to not just basically ready shoot aim on these college

(06:49):
football stories from yesterday?

Speaker 2 (06:51):
I mean, I'm ready to go tonight because the Michigan
Ohio State game was just unbelievable. I mean, obviously we
talked about it a lot on Friday Night with VJ.
I mean he's a big Michigan fan and Martin's a
big Michigan fan. But it it was it was just
especially get what happened after the game was absolutely crazy.

(07:11):
Just was just nuts out there.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
You ever been involved in a good sports Donnybrook before
a good sports fight after something, or maybe in a pregame.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
When when I was younger, when I was like about so.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
No, no, no, no, no, listen, I don't need to hear
about Arnie and uh keg and what's.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Your other buddy's name? Resin Yeah, I no, no, no.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
I mean when you're at a professional sporting event or
a college sporting event where there's a near thrownown between players,
have you ever seen that have been a part of it?

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Well, I mean just fans going at it, but not
really like that. Nothing about that this question? Well or
not with players? Arnie, No, no, nothing like that. Absolutely nothing.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
So you've ever been pepper sprayed before? No?

Speaker 2 (07:55):
No, I've never been pepper sprayed before. I don't have
a wait to try, you know, I have a word.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Hey, anything for the clicks, though, my personal favorite is
when someone gets pepper sprayed. Their first thing is that, hey,
let me go get medical medical attention. The first thing
is let me take a picture of myself and put
this on social media so everyone can see how much
pain I'm in. But as someone who's been Pepper's right before,
it sucks.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
I was not even mad. It was an accident.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
But long story, we'll get to it later. We'll talk
about field storming and other things. But Arnie, Arnie, it
is a final in the snow. The Buffalo Bills have
beaten the San Francisco forty nine ers in convincing fashion
thirty five to ten. And with everything that happened in
the NFL this weekend, congratulations to your AFC East champs,

(08:42):
the Buffalo Bills. How about that? That scared the absolute
hell out of me? Whoever played that? Go ahead? Arnie?

Speaker 4 (08:48):
How do you feel about the Bills?

Speaker 2 (08:49):
That's a voy for a team that people said that
window was closing. They clinched. Surely, what do you do
from here on out? Obviously you can send your players.
There's just way too time with and you're still fighting
for a number one seed, so you can't do anything
like that. Do you pull back a little bit?

Speaker 6 (09:05):
No?

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Probably not.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
You just still keep going full steam ahead.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Right though, it is fair to ask what you do
to take maybe a few extra precautions, because there really
seems to be only I heard Willard and Ephram talking
about this whenever Willard wasn't asking from eight thousand questions
about the forty nine ers. Four teams right now you're

(09:34):
putting as teams you think can play in the Super Bowl,
or maybe maybe the better way to put it for
Super Bowl favorites Bill's chiefs than the Lions and what
the Eagles?

Speaker 4 (09:48):
Those four I would say that, would you add anyone
to it?

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Right now? No?

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Nothing.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
I would not add a fifteen you and adda raven?
Is there anyone know? I'm not arguing with that. I
tend to agree with you, but no one else is
on that fringe.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Oh No, I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Even Pittsburgh less Russell Wilson is going to play like
that the rest of the year.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
What's the only thing that could slow down at least
three of those four teams? Right your quarterback going down?
Mahomes gets hurt. I'm sorry, Chief fans. I know you're
winning in unique ways, but if Patrick Mahomes goes down,
you're done. Right, Jared Goff, if he goes down, I

(10:25):
think the Lions already huge, showing that Lions might be
in big trouble anyway with all their defensive issues. Now
we could argue and debate about Jalen Hurts right with
Kenny Pickett there and Jalen's kind of been hot and cold,
and Saquon Barkley might be the MVP, but it's very
clear already if the Bills have anything happen to Josh
Allen They're in big trouble as far as Super Bowl

(10:47):
ramifications are concerned, right as far as being one of
the four. So I hear what you're saying. Right, You're
not gonna just totally with what ten to two five
games left in the season, you've clinched the East. You
still want to fight and get that one seed. You
want this Super Bowl. The path in the af C
of the Super Bowl to run through Buffalo. But I
completely hear what you're saying. Man, you do not want
to risk losing that, dude, do you no?

Speaker 2 (11:08):
And you And to be interesting, also, who's to say
Kansas City even as the number one seed doesn't get
upset before they go ahead and make it to the
AFC Championship. They're playing that type of football to Chris,
you know, I mean, heck, if you're going to struggle
against the Raiders, you could struggle against anybody.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
Well, and the Panthers the week before that.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Yes, you're exactly right. Sooner or later, somebody's gonna beat you. Sure,
the Raiders couldn't. The Panthers couldn't. That does it mean
Pittsburgh or the Texans or whoever the Chargers doesn't jump
up and bite you so, and those teams are a
lot better. I wouldn't I wouldn't feel, you know, invincible
if I was Kansas City.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
Well, we got a lot to get to on that.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
Thankfully, that game happened on Friday, so it's Sunday, so
just about everyone's forgotten about it. But it's all part
of Week thirteen, which always makes for an interesting week
for this program, Arnie, because usually we have filings, and
we did. You and I got to work together on
Wednesday night. Then you had shows Thursday and Friday night,
so you've had an opportunity to talk a lot about
the three games Thursday and then the game on Friday.

(12:14):
But we got a fresh batch of games, just wrapping
up with that Bill's Niners game with a thirty five
to ten win for Buffalo. And I mean, I thought
today ended up being a sneaky good day for games
because I didn't know what to expect, right, I thought,
you know, you kind of reach a little football fatigue
and then you look on your TV and for us
here in the area that I live today and your

(12:35):
early game was like, you know, I don't even remember.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
I think it was like Steelers.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Bengals, which is okay, but you know, Cincinnati is a
four and seven football team. But it ended up being
a great game. Russell Wilson through it for four hundred yards.
Arnie also in that early window, the vikings of the
Cardinals game was wild with the way that thing played out,
even two bad teams playing each other, the Colts and
the Patriots, came down to the final play of the game.

(12:58):
I thought it ended up being a sneaky good day
for NFL action.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
You know how I like to go in and send
you the topics even before the game starts, so that
that's my first impression was gonna be, boy, what a
horrible day for games. I was gonna actually write that
in what a horrible day for games because of the matchups, right, yeah,
like that, you know me, The matchups were horrible. So
I was like, I'm like, what a horrible day. It
was so boring out there. But I'm like, all right,

(13:22):
let's see, let's see what happened. And they were right
off the bat, going into the Witchy Gower on the
Renzo Chattel, they had what was it six of the
seven games one possession games?

Speaker 6 (13:34):
Was it?

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Seven games? In the open wind?

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Though, I think, yeah, yeah, I think you're right. Were
one possession games, so we had we had a lot
of good games, a lot of interesting games. Unfortunately a
lot went against my Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Chris, Yeah, that's right. Everything you needed to go your
way did not pretty much go your way. The only
the only bad game really in that opening window was
the Commander is beating up on the Titans forty two
to nineteen, right, Titans not tanking as elegantly as the
Raiders are right now as Oakland. I'm sorry Vegas now
it's that number two pick in the draft. And just

(14:05):
because we probably won't mention this game again tonight, but
that shot on Trevor Lawrence. Aren't he in the Texans
Jaguars game? And at some point, you know, if we
maybe in an't there's got to be a conversation about
what's going on with the Texans, and you know, maybe
I'm coming to your side on CJ. Stroud, But that's
not the story from this game. The story from this

(14:25):
game was what I mean, listen, it's acceptable in the
seventies and you go look at some of those eighties
highlights and guys like Phil Simms and Troy Akerman were
taking shots like that. But in today's game, that was
I don't know, am I sound and soft of I
say that looked just dirty? Dirty, dirty.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
No, but let me just.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Explain one thing.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Yes, it was absolutely a horrible shot.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
I'm about to hit on Trevor Trevor Lawrence today.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Yeah, that was. That was absolutely a horrible shot. But
had he not used his forearm and like thrust it
into him and it was just you know, he just
got down late. Because the Lawrence got down late, I
would cut him a little bit of slack. Not to
say it wouldn't have been a penalty, but maybe I
wouldn't have thrown him out or something. But when he

(15:10):
used a forearm and he lunged himself at him, that's
about as dirty as it could be. Someone said he
couldn't remember a dirty or shot on a quarterback. The
only thing that comes to remind is I forget who
for Green Bay picked up Jim McMahon after a play.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
You know what, I was just gonna say that, Oh gosh,
I'm gonna look this up right.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Now and threw him down to the ground hey after
the play. And actually I think McMahon got hurt after that.
The next game I don't know. I think he might
have finished Charles Charles Martin. There you go, there you go.
That's the last, you know, blatant hit that I remember

(15:52):
like that, that one that was absolutely dirty. So I
feel bad for Trevor. It's good that he's okay. Put
out something on on Twitter saying he's up. He was,
you know, he's feeling good. My question to you is,
does he have to sit out four games?

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Oh gosh, come, are you going to do this?

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Every time a quarterback gets an you feel like they're
being held to a different level because it was to No.
I just want to know.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Probably, no, he's not going to sit out four games.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Well he might well if they put him on injured reserve,
he will, see.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
That's the thing. I don't think we know the whole truth.
Somebody didn't do their homework. Look, we're not knowing being serious,
we're not at it for reporters. I actually actually for
once they homework for the first time in my life,
and I looked up the NFL protocol. There's no certain
amount of games that you miss when you have a concussion.
It's not a like four game minimum or no, it's

(16:47):
not just because the Dolphins put him on injured reserve.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
No, that's right, because he's had like five or six
of them that have been very, very public.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
He could have if he if the doctor's cleared him,
he could have come back in one game, if you.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
Will, absolutely, But they put him on injured reserve because.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
I'm just saying, Trevor Lawrence's hit was almost as bad
as the one that that first tour concussion work too.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Had his hands, you know, yeah, he did the little
paralyze thing with his hands, the fencing fencing, thank you see.
But again, Arnie, there's no conspiracy here, theory here. You
got to accept that your dude has had percussion problems
and they put him on IR and to make sure
he was okay. They might put him on our Hell,

(17:32):
if I were the Jaguars, I'd put him on IR anyway,
so you don't risk getting him even more injured.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
But can make just one quick comparison.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
You know, I love NASCAR, right, and when Dale Earnhardt
died in a NASCAR crashed back in two thousand and
two thousand and one, whenever it was, there was a
wreck where Tony Stewart flipped eight times during that and
you're like, oh my gosh, he's dead. And he got
out of the car and walked away, and Dale Enhart
just went head first into the wall.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
And you're like, oh, he's gonna be fine.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
He died.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Just because something looks bad doesn't mean it ends up
being as terrible or vice as you like to say,
vice versa probably not the best comparison, but I'm trying
to make the point here that you know, you, I
feel like you're on this bully pulpit. There's this hill
where everyone that has a concussion you're gonna be like, oh, well,
you'll make to us sit out. But I think the

(18:23):
Dolphins were very public about hey man, he was having
symptoms and they're gonna let him rest and see how
it goes.

Speaker 4 (18:28):
I mean, you got it, you gotta.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
He's not as big as Trevor Lawrence either, dude two
is still kind of a slight dude as far as
build is concerned. So I understand. I get it because
it ruins your season missing. Not only that, just.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
I for some reason, I kind of felt like the
NFL was making them making a miss for games. Now
when the Dolphins, you know, put him on an injurr
reserve and that's why he missed for it.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
They haven't ever said, listen, if it's a concussion, it's
this amount of time that's they leave that up to
the team doctors and hopefully the team physicians and the
players to get it. But I listen, I'm not necessarily
against you on this orny. I hear what you're saying,
because your point you've been I was someone that's like, geez,
I don't know if this dude should play again, But

(19:13):
you've been said fast.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
What the guy in the forty nine ers Fred Taylor
right with Tred Warner, Fred Warner? What is say Fred Taylor?
Fred Warner playing with the who you were talking about?
Playing with the fractured? Like, how come we say, why
is he playing that? That can't be good for his
future ten twenty years from now?

Speaker 1 (19:33):
You know, Yeah, that's right, but it's also a broken
leg and not your not your nogging.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
I guess I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
I guess that for you all that he's a crazy
linebacker and we love it too. Us a quarterback, you're like,
oh my gosh, his brain's going to be scrambled.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
Do something right. It's just it's a different way we.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Viewed things right, right, right right? How many times did
you bring that up this week? Because I know you
brought it up two hours with me on Wednesday night?
Did you bring up the website? Oh yeah, you already
brought it up on Friday, Friday. You know this. There's
a whole segment with I knew this was coming. All right,
we got a busy night ahead of us. I see
your tweets already rolling in. It's the best way for

(20:14):
us to interact with you. It's on X as Stinking Genius.
Want them at Plank Show. Everyone go follow us at
Fox Sports Radio. Big night of reaction, of perspective. We'll
hit the locker rooms, we'll dive into what we learned
after what has been a pretty entertaining Week thirteen in
the NFL. And coming up a little bit later on
in the program, Arnie and I will try to go
through and fill out what the latest college football bracket

(20:37):
will look like for the twelve team playoffs.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
And don't forget the biggest topic hitting the world is
play it the flag?

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Right?

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Do you play at the flag or not? Chris gotta
get into that.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Well, you sure as hell don't do it on an
artificial turf field juke dopes. We'll dive into that all
coming up next from the tyraq dot com studios on
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (20:56):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 1 (21:08):
All right, welcome back into thetaire raq dot com studios.

Speaker 4 (21:12):
I'm just curious.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Did you were you of the opinion that there was
some concussion rule where you had to sit.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
Out four weeks something like that?

Speaker 1 (21:21):
Yeah, oh okay, yeah, No, there's no rule like that
in the NFL, though it would be cool if they
did it and it was only like a tour rule.

Speaker 4 (21:29):
Gosh, I'm mad.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
What you do? A couple of early tweets to the
show because we do have a game that just finished up.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
Nature boy Rights.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
This season for Niner fans reminds me of the year
they lost all their quarterbacks when they had to face
Philly in the NFC Championship game. Then there is this
from JJ Bigfoot. He writes, I'm a forty nine er fan.
We have officially hit rock bottom. They are rough to watch.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
When did they lose all what year was did they
lose all their quarterbacks two years ago?

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Oh? Okay, remember the NFC Championship game, right, spent a
rough run for him? Unless, nature boy, you're talking about
a regular season game.

Speaker 4 (22:08):
That that's what I think I'm unaware of.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
Yeah, because I thought there was like thirty years ago
he was talking.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
Oh was he?

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Okay, well, you gotta remember the Eagles game was just
this last couple of years in the NFC Championship game. Okay, due, Hey,
nature boy, do my research for me here. If there's
an older game, I stand corrected, But they are rough
I watch right now that.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
Can you just blame injuries?

Speaker 2 (22:29):
I remember a wide receiver I had the coven to
play quarterback. I think his name was Freddy Solomon. I
had to come in and play quarterback whe they ran
out of quarterbacks. Really, yeah, so that's what I thought
he was talking about.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
Oh maybe, so help me out, nature boy. But is
this is this all injuries that we can say for
the Niners? Is there something I don't know deeper here
for San Fran that we need to do. We need
to contemplate or now.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Oh, can you ask me tomorrow so I could see
what's going on with Christian McCaffrey.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Oh my god, Okay, in't really been. He hasn't been
much of a factor this year.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
So he is a matter of fact, his career of
being a superstar is done with.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
That is over.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
That's over now.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
It's to the point where is he just going to
be a reliable back. I don't even know if he
could be a reliable back. I don't even know if
he's going to be worth the money on a contract
extension or anything like that. He's going to be damaged
goods forever. I'm assuming he just looks just damaged out there.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
You know, he's only twenty eight, right, so I mean
we're not talking about a guy in his like mid
thirties or anything.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
You know what happens when you hit thirty when you're
running back.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
Well, and again, I'm not here to necessarily fight with you,
but you're doing this thing again where you're ending a
man's career who has battled injuries, coming off a fifteen
hundred yard rushing season last year, when he touched the
ball more times than he ever had from the line
of scrimmage and gained more yards well second most yards

(23:55):
in his career from the line of scrimmage. So you're
saying it is over because he's had an injury plagued
twenty twenty four.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Absolutely one hundred percent, and the injuries he's had and
what's kept him out, the different injuries, and it's just
not gonna happen for him anymore. I just don't.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
I couldn't invest in him right now.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
If you were buying stock, you wouldn't say, oh, you
got to get yourself from Christian McCaffrey. It's you know,
right now, it's looking good. You wouldn't be doing that.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
I guarantee you that a lot of teams would still
be willing to do that guarantee.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
But for you and I sake, absolutely not.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
Man, right, there's teams that would want him as they're
back because you think, hey, we fix it and can
get healthy. He's gonna be fine. I thought tonight's looked weird.
He he it didn't even look you're in the snow,
so I do. I don't know like the different because
you're not really planning. Could it be a slide. I

(24:50):
didn't think it was a knee injury either. I thought
it was like a groin or something.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
I thought, that's not even a fair question. Wou'd you
say that? How many teams want Christian mccaffe You asked it, no,
but you got to ask it like this. How many
teams will want Christian McCaffrey with the full salary that
the forty nine ers are paying him?

Speaker 1 (25:12):
There wouldn't be too many.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
How many will want McCaffrey because they only have to
pay a bike three hundred thousand dollars, then I could
say a whole bolt more. So that's the difference.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Well, I mean, yeah, that's gonna be the case with
just about everyone. Right, you're trying to tell me that
other teams wouldn't want to pay a beat up running back.
Let's see what's his going rate this year? Uh, he's
nine point eight million dollars against the cap by the way,
they restructured his deal, and he's a nine million dollar
cap hit next year. Now there's a potential out in

(25:42):
twenty six for his contract with the Niners. Oh wow,
if he's there for four years, and I'm sure he
won't that by twenty twenty seven, this is according to
spowtrack dot com, he would be a twenty five million
dollar cap hit and at the age of thirty one,
Christian McCaffrey would be a response for eight percent of
the cap for the Niners. Yot, that's not gonna happen.

(26:06):
But we'll see, we'll see how it plays out for
him injury wise. But no, no, no, you're right right now.
Heck no, I can't believe we've already rolled this far
past the bottom of the hour.

Speaker 4 (26:14):
More of your tweets coming up in just a bit.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Tons of takeaways from week thirteen around the corner, plus
sound from the postgame locker rooms. But first, Steve Seger
is in the house with everything that's trending. What's going on?

Speaker 7 (26:26):
Steve, Hello, gentlemen, and coach Kyle Shanahan said his running
back Christian McCaffrey suffered what appears to be a PCL
ligament injury that could potentially end his season. San Francisco
lost thirty five to ten in the snow at Buffalo tonight.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
Right again, Bills.

Speaker 7 (26:41):
Had won seven in row. I'll just pass over that
so we can update the stat the games this weekend
that were decided by seven points or less. The answer
is pretty much all of them. I mean not tonight's game,
of course, not the Washington blowout of the Titans, but
pretty much all the other games. Actually, it's twelve for
this NFL we Wow, which includes the Minnesota score at

(27:04):
the end or the Colts score and two pointer at
the end the Tampa Bay overtime, So that ties for
the most in a single week in NFL history. We
still have a game at Denver tomorrow night with the
Broncos in Cleveland. By the way, yes, the Chiefs did
defeat the Las Vegas Raiders in a close one eleven.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
It's like two days ago. Why are you doing this,
Tommy Steve.

Speaker 7 (27:22):
I'm setting this up. Okycaps eleven and one, clinching a
postseason berth for the tenth straight season. The Bills win
tonight clinched the AFC East Crown for a fifth straight season.
Deal And by the way, the Pittsburgh Steelers with their
high scoring win at Cincinnati today forty four to thirty eight,
that puts their record at nine and three, which guarantees

(27:44):
they will not have a losing record this year for
the twenty first consecutive season, so the Steelers have tied
the NFL record. Tom Landry's Dallas Cowboys from nineteen sixty
five to eighty five went twenty one consecutive seas without
a losing record. The Steelers have now tied that. And

(28:04):
then there's the forty nine Ers who are now five
and seven, and they gave up touchdowns on the last
three drives of the first half for Buffalo again thirty
five to ten.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
The Bills win this game.

Speaker 7 (28:15):
The Niners fell behind by at least twenty four points
now in back to back games for the first time
since Kyle Shanahan's first season there in twenty seventeen. And
there was the crazy play. Yeah, at four total touchdowns
for Josh Allen, but that includes credit for a TD
pass and TD reception on the same play. He had
thrown to Amari Cooper near the goal line. He was

(28:36):
being tackled, the receiver tossed it back to the quarterback
who then ran it in. And yes, the quarterback Josh
Allen was asked about that play Melissa Stark on the
NBC post game.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Is that how they score it? I get a passing
and receiving you do. That's pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
And Chris Collins round is very excited because he started
you on his fantasy team.

Speaker 6 (28:53):
I love that, so did I.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
That's pretty good.

Speaker 7 (28:59):
James Cook with fourteen carries one hundred and seven yards
and a touchdown, and by the way, as far as
receiving tds by players so far this NFL season, Josh
Allen has credit for one tonight, Jared Goff has a
receiving touchdown tonight. Quarterback Bo Knicks does as well. The
Niners Deebo Samuel has won receiving touchdown this year, and

(29:21):
the Cardinals tight end Trey McBride has none, and he's
been targeted almost one hundred times with passes. McBride has
no receiving touchdowns this year. Philadelphia won its eighth straight
game twenty four to nineteen at Baltimore. Remember, Ravens quarterback
Lamar Jackson against NFC opponents had been twenty three and
one in his career.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
In this game, he.

Speaker 7 (29:42):
Had two touchdown passes. Jackson eight carries seventy nine yards rushing,
but Philly wins the game and the Eagles are now
ten and two. Tampa Bay won in overtime at Carolina
twenty six to twenty three, even though Bryce Young was
close to three hundred yards passing and had a TD
lighton regulation, but running back Hubbard fumbled in the overtime
At the Tampa Bay thirty. Rams were down at the

(30:04):
half six nothing at New Orleans. Rams won the game
twenty one fourteen. Bad news for Taysom Hill potentially he
was carted off in the fourth quarter with a leg
injury MRI Monday. It is not looking good. According to
NFL Network and college football Perdue fired coach Ryan Walters.
West Virginia fired coach Neil Brown in the late NBA game,

(30:25):
and there's just one still going. It's the Clippers late
third quarter down one to Denver eighty five, eighty four,
Nuggets Dallas and the Lakers of each one Houston and
San Antonio one. Cleveland beat the Celtics one fifteen, one eleven.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
Back to you, by the way, thanks Steve.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Speaking of Steve's Steve on Twitter rights for those Niner
fans saying there are dark days. They haven't been around
since Guy Benjamin and Steve de Bergh and oh, by
the way, as the best running back, they had a
guy named Paul Hofer. Paul that name. They had a
running back named Paul Dude, Come on, yeah, that's always

(31:03):
It's kind of funny. This has been a rough year
for the Sooners, right, and there's people that are like,
I've never experienced anything like this in my life. You're like, well, bro,
you're showing me you in your twenties because the nineties
were a dark time for O Columba football, right. I
hope in twenty years from now the Raiders lose two
games in a row and someone's like, oh my gosh,
so worst saying that's ever happened to this team. And

(31:24):
I'm like, let me tell you about twenty twenty four,
my friend.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
There's a lot easier than that. I do you like,
are used to it? I'm not used to it, so
I don't. I don't take it very What.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
Do you mean you're not used to it? All your
teams do is lose. I'm just being honest. You're sitting here.
This is like someone who just quit smoking for one
day talking about their lifetime of not smoking exactly.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
It's like be exercising for three days till you need
to get fit. You need to get fit.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
You know? Why do all your teams suck? Though? I
did have a great experience this week, tiger Man in
Utah Rights, can you tell us, as an outsider and
your first timer, if you liked Death Valley on the air,
have you ever been to Baton Rouge before, Arnie, that's
where LSU plays.

Speaker 4 (32:11):
Okay, no, I'm not.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
I'm not fitting there.

Speaker 4 (32:14):
It was awesome.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
You had a great time, Huh.

Speaker 4 (32:16):
It was a blast.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
It's one of the coolest stadiums I've ever been in.
I don't think we got the full Tiger Stadium at night,
like its craziest atmosphere, loudest. Obviously, Oklahoma wasn't very good.
LSU had had their soul ripped out by Alabama two
weeks ago, three weeks ago, so I don't we didn't
get the fool and it.

Speaker 4 (32:36):
Was cold, dude, it was cold for the Bayou. But
it was awesome.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
Man. I don't know if I've ever been anywhere where
the fans just don't stop. The ones that were there.
There was this guy, Arnie. I'm standing right by the
team as everyone's walking out, and there's this crazy Cajun
fan and the whole time it's like, take that all,
take that all back to take that o. Bro. He

(33:03):
said it for about an hour and just didn't stop.
And I'm like, but we're taking the l all right,
can you just stop please? If I got an interview,
We're gonna take I got an interview that I'm doing,
and all you hear is this guy going take that ale,
take that ale back to Norman. So it was a
great experience, like what ale, we ate good food, We

(33:24):
got to see good people. So I can't wait to
go back again. But hey, this was a fun year
for me and a new conference. He got to see
new teams traveling new places, while Arnie was dumping all
over his new conference and it had nothing to do
with it. You need to get out.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
I will have hope that Arizona cruises through the Big twelve.
Otherwise it's it's gonna be. It's no more hope for sport.
I'm gonna have to fill them for Kway Dravis and
talk politics.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
You you talking politics.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
I would be there for just because it eventually would
like get into local politics. You need to be mad
about a pothole or something and be in your mind.
All right, listen, your guys tweets are really good. We'll
get to him.

Speaker 4 (34:03):
Next.

Speaker 1 (34:03):
It's Arnie and Plank rolling through Week thirteen of the NFL.
A question to ponder during the break, what do you
do about the Justin Tucker situation in Baltimore. It's costing
them games. We'll get into it next on Fox Sports Radio.
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

around here, Mary mac you.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
We got an email a couple of days ago I
that I had to.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
Like everybody I sent. The email was for me.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
Sure, I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (34:44):
Anyways, Yeah, it's Christmas music until Christmas time, So.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
Merry Christmas, everybody. It's all.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
I got stuck in the snow. I don't know if
you've heard on Thursday.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
Okay, now we have we have a lot of sports
to get to. I know, and you know me, my
DNA is that get back to sports guy rings like NonStop.
He's in my dome. But I was fascinated. Went on
Thanksgiving as I was enjoying turkey. We did not have
any gravy at our Thanksgiving. Oh my god. Yeah, it

(35:16):
was a big time. Probably we got major problems in
the family right now. But I was enjoying an ice
cold libation and I noticed that you had stuck what
two cars in the.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
Snow yeah, my my jeep Sahara and a brand new
range Drover. Those things are over one hundred grand.

Speaker 4 (35:33):
Yes, I understand that was it your range Rover?

Speaker 2 (35:36):
Please get up, he's there. You're kind of a cheap
skate range Rover.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
With that in mind, you were really you were just
going down the street, right, No?

Speaker 2 (35:46):
No, I was going from my house to my in
my sister in law's house.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Oh okay, okay, So was this you getting stuck at
home and not having to go or did you know
you went?

Speaker 2 (35:55):
I got stuck at the bottom of their hills, so
just to make it quick, because I don't we got
a lot out of the sports. My wife had the
hike down with her sister a half mile to try
to get us out. They couldn't had the hike another
half mile back up to the house to get me
shoes because all I had was tennis shoes on and.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Then they were flip flops, flip flops.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
And then they had the hike another half mile back
to give me the shoes so I could walk back
up while we could try to get the cars out.

Speaker 4 (36:26):
And did you get back I would assume in time
for your show?

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Right, yes, sef We finally get the cars out and
everything went okay.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
So I mentioned earlier, how you know we're watching football
in the snow, and it's like, oh, gude, that seemed
weird because the Christian McCaffrey play, I didn't notice anything
with his knee or anything like that. And now I'm
seeing they've got the shot of his left calf that's
doing the Achilles thing. Remember whenever Kevin Durant had his

(36:55):
achilles explode. Right yeah, I don't know if this is
like some sort of official account, but that Christian r
underscore v I L L buddy that season ending right there.
For Christian McCaffrey did not mean to implode the snow
car getting but I just saw this for the first
on the way the.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
Play before that his knee, his right knee hit the ground.
He might have heard it at that point too.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
So wow, So let's my bad, uh squirrel, So I
got distracted, But going full circle back to your story.
But you got out, okay, you got to the show
in time.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
Everything was okay, everything, but you know I couldn't The
only bad part was since I had tennis shoes on it,
I couldn't go outside. So I got to sit in
the car, listen to the game, and et Friedo's. Well,
everybody was outside of the calls, shoveling and falling all
over the place of getting the cars out.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
So let me get this right. You a healthy, strong male.
Nothing I could do about it, Chris.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Nothing.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
I sat in the car, sat inside and ate Fredo's
while people were shoveling and getting consolation to you.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
I ran out of Friedo's halfway through.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
So I what would your son say about that?

Speaker 4 (38:09):
I mean, Shay's a.

Speaker 2 (38:12):
Strong young lie. I couldn't get out of the car.
I didn't have the proper retire I won't do that again.
I learned my West.

Speaker 4 (38:18):
I think you're lying.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
I don't think I.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
Took I took picture.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
He wore sandals, wore sandals, flip flops. Arnie, Arnie, Arnie. Well, congratula.
I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving. Now, whenever
the car stuck, is there a part of you that
reaches this panic where you're like, hey, guys, I got
a show tonight.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
You got to get this car movie. I've already you
got plenty of time.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
No, I had plenty of time. Was worried because I
thought the car was going to flip over the side
and go down the embankment. So that's what I was
worried about.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
No, yeah, let's not make sure that's taken care of.
But let's sit and eat Fredo's while everyone else tries
to get at the table.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
Yeah, what would you do with Justin Tucker right now?
If you're the Ravens, I'm gonna keep him until the
end of the year. He is still one of the
all time greats.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
I know he's costing them games, but this can't continue.
I just can't replace him at this point right now.
Hopefully he gets it right. But it's horrible the way
it looks right now.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
But when you say you can't replace him now, why not?

Speaker 2 (39:21):
And I'm gonna bring in a guy that's gonna go
ahead and be my full time kicker? Probably not?

Speaker 4 (39:27):
Well, I mean it happens all the time in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
I mean, he's five games? Are he He's five for eight?

Speaker 2 (39:34):
I know, I guess I wouldn't be against it, to
be honest with you, Chris, but I still think I'd
give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he
still rights, you know, rights the ship. I'm giving him
you know the benefit of the doubt in this situation.

Speaker 4 (39:47):
He is in his last five games.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Is this right?

Speaker 4 (39:51):
He is sixteen for thirty and extra points?

Speaker 2 (39:55):
Well, was it?

Speaker 1 (39:55):
I didn't hear sixteen of thirty for extra points.

Speaker 2 (39:58):
That can't be right.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
That can't be right.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
That can't be right.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
But I will say this much, it seems right with
the way that things have gone for him. Arnie, you
got to make a move. Your two losses. He's costing
you games right now. But in the end, you're right.
He's one of the all time greats. I think, jarn
John Harball is gonna give him plenty of leash to
get it right.

Speaker 4 (40:21):
We'll talk about it next on Fox.

Speaker 1 (40:22):
All right, it's already in playing in our number two
here on Fox Sports Radio, coming to you live from
the tire rack dot Com studios, tire rack dot Com.
We'll help you get there and unmatched to selection, fast,
free shipping, free roadhazard protection at over ten thousand recommended

Speaker 4 (40:40):
The way tire buying should be.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
By the way, just one other note to add on
Justin Tucker from everything that John Harbaugh said after the
game today, and we'll see if some of it's updated yet.
Maybe we'll play for you here in a bit, But
it doesn't seem as if they're going to move on
from Justin Tucker right now. It makes sense if you
want to think about it. Right, he went from being

(41:04):
what like a month two months ago the most accurate
kicker in the NFL, great character Peo were like, oh
my gosh, he's unbelievable to now he's missed eight field
goals this year, missed two today, had an extra point
attempt that hit the uprights. Now he did make two
field goals yesterday. But it's it's it's kind of a

(41:25):
big time storyline when tenders right.

Speaker 2 (41:28):
Obviously, it's mental because I still think he could be
a big time kicker. I just he's going through a slump,
first slump in his career. Everybody goes to a slump.
Look company, he's slump star in Major League Baseball. Obviously,
it's a different sport. You can't have that type of
percentage when you're a kicker. But this is the first slump,
and that's why we're all just like, in Olliver, what's
going on.

Speaker 1 (41:47):
He is currently thirty third in the NFL with a
seventy percent conversion rate on his kicks. He's nineteen of
twenty seven his ten missed kicks, eight field goals and
two extra points. I don't know where I got that
extra point number from earlier. Yeah, but miss eight field
goals and two extra points leads the NFL. As you said, Arnie,
this is his biggest slump, but it's not his only one.

(42:10):
In twenty fifteen he missed seven field goals that the
next season made ninety seven point four.

Speaker 4 (42:16):
Percent of his kicks.

Speaker 1 (42:18):
So, and I know you really don't, but I still
have the Ravens in the category of contender. They're eight
and five right now. There, I guess you can say
safely now in the playoffs that West are the American
Football Conference. The AFC has kind of played out now
where depending on what happens tomorrow night, if the Broncos win,

(42:39):
that gives them a two game lead over the eight,
which is Indianapolis. Right now, your Dolphins are still right there,
but you need the Dolphins to lose to the Browns
tomorrow night thirty.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
Hence I believe the Dolphins have to make the playoffs.
So it's not looking very good right now.

Speaker 1 (42:57):
It is not at all all right, well, we got
college football talk coming up in about thirty minutes from now.
We're going to try to figure out who's in, who's not,
who's truly on the bubble, who's still alive. But Arnie,
let's before Todd Furrman joins us here, Arnie Plank on
Fox Sports Radio, let's get into the teams that season
came to an end and the team who saved their

(43:19):
season today, I believe this is what roman numeral four.

Speaker 4 (43:24):
On the Roman numer rundown tonight.

Speaker 2 (43:26):
No, that was new coaches was Roman numeral number four?

Speaker 1 (43:29):
Oh, I'm sorry. Who saved their season? Whose season ended?
Is roman numeral number two? So you want to start
or you want me to start tonight?

Speaker 2 (43:37):
Go ahead, you start today, let's go. You go first.

Speaker 1 (43:39):
Well, I'm glad you allowed me this opportunity, Arnie, because
number one, I don't think you prepared anything for this.

Speaker 2 (43:45):
I went right off the bat. Yes, I thought you
were going to get to the I'm waiting for the
Michigan Ohio State after Maath. They have a lot to
say on that also, I.

Speaker 1 (43:53):
Go bottom of the hour, bottom of the hour, Let's
is this when is the show? When's the show today?
What just happened the NFL. Okay, okay, you see, this
is what happens when you get shows every night. Sorry,
and then all of a sudden you don't have it.
You're like you're like ready to explode to talk. I
feel you, man, But we'll get to that coming up.
Unlet's listen. This is your program, all right. You you

(44:16):
make the rundown.

Speaker 2 (44:17):
No, when you tease the bottom of the art or
you tease something different, I don't know what you tease.

Speaker 4 (44:21):
I tease the college football playoffs.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
Right, that's not Michigan Ohio State game.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
You don't think that has much to do with the
college football playoffs and who's in and who's out. It does.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
But I kind of wanted to slam around the Michigan
fans also, why, I mean, what do you mean?

Speaker 1 (44:36):
Why? Why do you want to slam Michigan fans for
their arrogance because they've never won anything? Because they haven't
won anything this year. They did win a championship last year.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
I'm not talking about last year. I'm talking about this year.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
Arnie Spanier, the man who sits here on Sunday nights
from eleven p to two A Live on the East
Coast who constantly tells us about the greatness of the Dolphins,
the Arizona Wildcats, then the New York Knicks who haven't
won a damn thing, and does it with a little
bit of a condescending and arrogant tone. You're now gonna

(45:16):
take your finger and pointed at Michigan fans who just
won something.

Speaker 2 (45:20):
They were acting stop it. They were acting like they
just wasn't back to back national championships. I mean, my goodness, man,
your season ended. Hey, congratulations, you had a really good victory.
Be a bunch of men, shake their hands, get off
the field and enjoy your victory. But no gotta act like, oh,
hoards his ass because we know there's not gonna be

(45:41):
a game after this. And then the fans man, the
Michigan fans acting on up going to Twitter, and I
know a lot of Michigan fans acting like, oh, my goodness,
like this is the best win in the history.

Speaker 1 (45:53):
Of the world.

Speaker 2 (45:53):
Look at us her like, what does wrong with you people?
Do you know that you're six and five team? I
would never act like that.

Speaker 1 (46:02):
Yes, you would. You would have if you would have
beaten Arizona State on Saturday night playoff chance.

Speaker 2 (46:10):
I would have said, Okay, I'm happy about the win
we got to knocked about.

Speaker 1 (46:14):
But I wouldn't be going, yeah, yeah, look at us.

Speaker 2 (46:18):
What would would would I doubt that?

Speaker 1 (46:20):
Yeah? Yeah? Twenty one point twenty one point underdog on
the road. You beat your art rival when nobody gave
you a chance. Graduation only. The only this is I'm
not saying this to be mean to anyone. The only
people that picked Michigan in this game are blind homers.
And you got to admit it because there is no

(46:43):
physical or conceivable reason why Ohio State should have won
that football game. Michigan should have won that football game
Ohio outside of defense. But even as far as the
defensive line is concerned, let's go back and look at what.

Speaker 4 (46:56):
Texas did to you on your home field.

Speaker 1 (46:58):
Right. So, the only way you're in Michigan and telling
people that Michigan's winning this football game, Charles Woodson and
Desmond Howard is because you're a Bliedholmer or you're a
Michigan man. That's it.

Speaker 4 (47:11):
And yet they still went out.

Speaker 1 (47:13):
And did it, right, Come on and come on, it's
like it catch twenty two.

Speaker 2 (47:18):
Because first you have to say we just stop with
the flag. I mean, you got that, like, it's not
that big of a deal. But then again, if I
is a big deal. But then again, if I'm one
of the teams that they're trying to put the flag
in and I lost, I'd have to say, hey, you
guys got to protect the field. You can't allow something
like that.

Speaker 1 (47:36):
So that's what happened.

Speaker 2 (47:37):
It's a catch twenty two. Right, It's not the only
game that happened. It happened in a lot of games
this weekend.

Speaker 4 (47:44):
What the flag planning?

Speaker 1 (47:45):
Yeah, yes, it happened in the Arizona State Arizona game.

Speaker 4 (47:49):
Yes, it happened in the Florida Florida State.

Speaker 2 (47:51):
Very disappointed, and it should never very disappointed it happened
in the Arizona Arizona State game because the guy who
did it for Arizona State used to play for Arizona,
so he should know better.

Speaker 1 (48:02):
Right. So this has you really fired up about the
way that Michigan reacted after everyone talked about how Ohio
State was going to smoke him and all the crap
they've taken about their national championship being fraudulent because of
Connor Stallion's You don't think that there was a little

(48:22):
bit of extra umph on that one after they won.

Speaker 4 (48:24):
You didn't expect that to get carried.

Speaker 2 (48:26):
Have a little lump, have a little yourself full little
lump out there, but you know having for what it's worth.
It's one victory in your ending season, while Ohio State's
going to a playoff for a chance to win a
championship day first time in a Yeah.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
What do you mean are they Are they going to
the playoffs? Oh? They're not going to the I mean,
you tell me they just lost to a terrible football team.
They're not even playing in the Big Ten championship. Now,
I feel like they're in. I think that if I'm
doing this sharp, that they're in.

Speaker 2 (48:56):
I'll cut my arm off off if they don't go
to the playoff.

Speaker 1 (48:59):
Okay, Willard, but no, in all reality, Arnie, I mean,
I don't understand why you would be mad about this.
You of all the biggest trash talkers and tell us
about the greatness of a team that hasn't done anything.
I mean, I figured you would be all about this.

Speaker 2 (49:16):
No, No, I wouldn't go I wouldn't go ballistic. Maybe
if my team, you know, had at a record of
like ten and two and I was going to the
playoffs and we ended their season. That's a whole nother story,
act I get been there before. I mean it really,
it was really just horrifying.

Speaker 4 (49:30):
And you know what, you know, it's horrifying. You were
horrified by it?

Speaker 2 (49:34):
No, not that horrified, but call it a horrified Well,
I would say what was horrifying was when the Sheriff's
department was macing the Michigan players.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
Get off the field.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
You couldn't figure out a better way to break up
that fight than to start macing the Michigan players. I
don't understand.

Speaker 1 (49:51):
Let me look, look, can I keep you? I guess
we're I guess you don't care about whose season came
to an end and who's didn't. So let me just
uh you. Your question was, couldn't you come up with
a better way to separate these players than macing them? Right?

Speaker 2 (50:05):
Yeah, I'm macing the Michigan players right right.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
Well, the Ohio State players got mace too, because they
were right in the middle of it.

Speaker 4 (50:13):
Let me see, I'm just I'm looking Jay. Let's see.

Speaker 1 (50:15):
Uh you got a sixty five, two hundred and sixty
one pound edge guy, Uh, you've got a six foot eight,
three hundred and twelve pound offensive lineman, six foot four
defensive lineman two ninety six. Oh, here's a six foot five,
two hundred and thirteen pound defensive back. Maybe because there's
absolute beasts in helmets and shoulder pads that are going

(50:37):
after each other, and you got to do whatever you
can to try to stop him.

Speaker 4 (50:41):
Right now, Arnie, I am base away fight. Let him go.

Speaker 2 (50:45):
Yeah, you're right, You're right because we've never seen a
fight among players before. So I'm sure Mason, Well, you
just said you were a horrifying by as a common
incident to break out the mace. I I'm sure, I'm so.

Speaker 1 (50:59):
Let me see in all all of this, Arnie, you
have been horrified. You're mad that mace was brought out
during a situation that you have described as out of control.
What else she got for me on this that's got
you all fired up?

Speaker 4 (51:11):
You sound soft?

Speaker 1 (51:14):
I was saying, Am I am? I way off on this?

Speaker 4 (51:17):
Or what you sound soft?

Speaker 1 (51:18):
Oh you're gonna get Ohio State fans that will get
here and support you and say, yeah, it's uncalled for.
But I mean you be and and my perception is
what you tell me about you and your background. Where'd
you say you grabbed the streets of the Bronx? Right,
you're tough guy. Right, you're telling me you were horrified
while you were watching two teams go at it after

(51:40):
a game like that.

Speaker 4 (51:41):
I thought it was awesome.

Speaker 3 (51:44):
He was only horrified at the fact that, like they
got mased. That's the thing that he's horrified about.

Speaker 1 (51:49):
Yeah, it's all of it.

Speaker 3 (51:52):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (51:52):
I don't think.

Speaker 3 (51:53):
I don't think the kids should have got massed at all.

Speaker 4 (51:55):
It's not kids, it's players. It's adults that are out
there playing football.

Speaker 3 (51:59):
I get is.

Speaker 2 (52:00):
Wow, if it was the Okohoma players, you'd be screaming
right now.

Speaker 1 (52:05):
If they were going and trying to plant a flag
in a turf field number one, like Baker Mayfield tried
to do. I would make fun of them for trying
to plant to flag in a turfield like that.

Speaker 8 (52:16):
Mara.

Speaker 1 (52:17):
You guys have a turf field in Arizona, right, yeah, right,
he tried to plant what's the thing called for the
sun devil? He tried to plant in a turf field.
It doesn't work that way. Okay, So there's number one.
Number two.

Speaker 4 (52:30):
Listen, I don't want to get any fight about this.

Speaker 1 (52:34):
But I'll tell you what. Whenever it's over and over
and no one is stopping and no one is breaking up,
what are you supposed to do in my world? I'm like,
just let him fight. Let someone kill someone over there.
You gotta use break it up.

Speaker 2 (52:45):
Yeah, the coaches were gonna well, not Ryan Day, but
the rest of the coaches were could go ahead.

Speaker 1 (52:50):
And they weren't being They weren't successful at it. I
mean I watched you think, yeah, I think so. So
you're saying that they didn't need the police. They're building
that wall between the two teams. Just let the coaches
get in between them and separate them.

Speaker 2 (53:07):
I thought the macing was taking it a little too far.

Speaker 1 (53:11):
Okay, I don't just it broke it up. It ended
it and you could quit being horrified about it.

Speaker 2 (53:18):
I mean, for all the trash, I got a lot
of grief because people are tweeting me going you still
think rivalry wee goods lost and lost their Yeah?

Speaker 1 (53:30):
Do I mean you complained about it enough? I did?

Speaker 2 (53:33):
Yes, Okay, but this doesn't go out every year, though,
So wait.

Speaker 1 (53:38):
Hold on again, you keep moving the gold come everything
I say.

Speaker 2 (53:42):
You act like it's just completely acidied, I don't know
there's that.

Speaker 1 (53:45):
No, I don't listen.

Speaker 4 (53:46):
I don't feel that way.

Speaker 1 (53:47):
I understand that if you want to be horrified by
two teams fighting over someone planning a flag, that's your business.
But you sit here on Wednesday and you and I
went back and forth about nobody's talking about Notre Dame USC,
so it doesn't mean anything, essentially saying that you're ignoring
the fact that USC kind of sucks at football, and
you're kind of to me, you're blaming a twelve team

(54:09):
playoff for this in conference realignment. And then you have
an awesome final day of the regulars, final couple of
days where a rivalry between Georgia and Georgia Tech happens
and everyone's like, dude, isn't this awesome? And your reaction is, well,
it doesn't happen every single year. I mean, that's that's
you moving the goal post. That's you saying that your
whole point was, well, it's got to happen.

Speaker 2 (54:30):
Every year, goal post, because you're the one that said, well,
of course nobody's talking about it.

Speaker 1 (54:33):
This team is like four losses, that's right.

Speaker 2 (54:35):
I was, well, guess what they still talked about the
game in Michigan and Michigan that's five losses.

Speaker 1 (54:40):
Right, because, oh my gosh, Arnie, do you know do
you know what happened in the Michigan Ohio State game?

Speaker 4 (54:47):
A twenty one point underdog upset them.

Speaker 1 (54:50):
If USC upset Notre Dame and then had a brawl afterwards,
then we would be talking about it. But no, USC
sucks and when they had an opportun you needed to
win the game, they threw a pick six and lost
by two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Miami got beat. Hold on, if
you're gonna say that I'm moving to go, I'm not.
I'm pointing out facts from what happened on that Saturday.

(55:11):
Miami got upset and everyone had them in the playoffs
the whole time. On the Friday night, Georgia had to
go to eight overtimes to beat Georgia Tech, Ohio State
and Michigan had a brawl after Michigan won for the
upteenth straight time. I mean, come on, dude. There was
a lot of stories that ended up saying, hey, this
is freaking awesome what took place in college football? You
sorry for your beloved USC Notre Dame Matchum not getting headlines.

Speaker 2 (55:34):
The one thing That really surprised me, though. I thought
there'd be a lot of people all day Sunday just
sending tweets and Saturday night about the aftermath of Michigan
Ohio State. I think it kind of died down real
quickly and it was like, Okay, we're gonna move on
now through the NFL. We got a lot of NFL
games on Sunday. I may look, maybe if we were

(55:55):
living in Columbus in ann Arbor, sure that's that's gonna
go out for a while. But I just thought that
people would just they just see that they got based
the fights of the the flag, you know, polling and
all that stuff. So I thought there'd be more of that.
Well they e's got fine hundred grand, so that's a start.
And then number two, I would say we had great

(56:16):
games to talk about.

Speaker 1 (56:17):
We did.

Speaker 2 (56:18):
We did have some great games. Like you said that
Georgia and Georgia Tech game was just just a great
game to watch. It was a great game to be
on the air during that game too.

Speaker 1 (56:26):
Absolutely all right, Well, maybe at some point we can
get to Roman numeral too. But there you go.

Speaker 4 (56:31):
Aren't he horrified by the flag plane?

Speaker 1 (56:33):
You love? You're gonna use that against me. I know that,
my gosh. Rapid Radios are the official communication device of

What a day, Todd.

Speaker 1 (57:29):
Not the most inviting schedule when you took a first
look at it, but man, we had some doozies.

Speaker 4 (57:35):
How'd the books?

Speaker 1 (57:35):
Do you know?

Speaker 8 (57:37):
When you look at some of the results for the house.
Very happy with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers failing to cover
as six point road favorites in the spot against Carolina
would have preferred them to win that game out right.
And the unfortunate part for them is when you look
at the way the afternoon slate played out, they couldn't
do anything to discourage a ton of Buffalo money pouring
in on a depleted forty nine er side in Philadelphia,

(57:57):
one of the more popular moneyline underdogs as a point
pop on the road Baltimore.

Speaker 2 (58:01):
I'm assuming a lot of people were on the Ravens
also over Philadelphia.

Speaker 8 (58:05):
Not really, not really, I mean you had Philly always
going to be a very popular underdog. When you see
a team of that caliber catching points. It was kind
of the pros versus Joe's divide and the Joe's get
the better of the professional betters who drove that number
from two and a half out to a full field goal.

Speaker 1 (58:20):
Kat We were talking about this earlier and it's probably
the most segments Arnie and I have ever spent on
a kicker, which makes two. What do you do if
you're John Harbaugh now with the Justin Tucker situation.

Speaker 8 (58:31):
I mean they're in a very delicate spot. I mean,
clearly Justin Tucker's kicking rose that we thought might just
be temporary have started to persist. And for a team
that has their aspirations set on, you know, making a
deep run in the AFC and trying to win the
Super Bowl, you can't be giving up points at key
junctures of the game, and today it cost them a victory.
The Pittsburgh Steelers get to win, and now the Baltimore
Ravens look at the daunting task of needing to go

(58:53):
on the road to get through the AFC. So I'm
not sure if you bring another kicker in and allow
Justin Tucker to work through some of what's going on,
whether it's between the years or whether it's physical. But
clearly one of the most reliable kickers and arguably the
greatest the game has ever seen. Not exactly going out
there and delivering at a high level, feels like every
fifty yard field goal is an adventure waiting to happen,
and even extra points have been a little bit more

(59:16):
dicey than what they should be for the reliability we've
come to expect.

Speaker 2 (59:19):
To Tucker, don I want to back up, I'm just
kind of curious your take on the Michigan Ohio State
after math, and I don't know exactly. Yes, Michigan celebrated
a win. I don't know if they understand is they're
they're not going to play anymore games. Maybe somebody could
tell them that though I just got a bold game. Okay, okay, yeah,

(59:39):
I'm sure they'll enjoy that. Your thoughts on what happened
afterwards and just the upset because they were a nineteen
or twenty point.

Speaker 8 (59:48):
Underdog, well as far as the on field performance, Ohio
State should be embarrassed by what they put forth from
an exis and O standpoint, knowing that Michigan was depleted
in the secondary and it looked like Ohio State was
trying to play a low ver games thinking that they
could run the football against the strength of that Michigan team,
which was their defensive line with NFL caliber athletes. And
the longer that game went on and they allowed Michigan

(01:00:09):
to hang around, the underdogs started to believe they were
able to bust a run or two, and now it
puts Ohio State most likely on the road in the
College Football Playoff instead of having one of those covet
advice and having a chance to play for a conference
championship in Indianapolis, now in terms of the postgame antics,
it wasn't just in Columbus. Unfortunately, we saw it across
the college football landscape. And maybe I'm a little bit

(01:00:29):
old school in old fashioned, my coaches back in the
day wouldn't have tolerated a semblance of that level of behavior.
They would have run, or my case, I guess already
skated us into the ground the next couple of days
at practice and there would have been serious disciplinary ramifications.
But I think in this day and age, you know,
some of these players begin to run them up, they
think they can get away with a lot, and coaches

(01:00:49):
maybe a little bit more leery of disciplining players they
feel they're going to lose them into the portal. But
let's hope this is an isolated incident. It's not what
college athletics is going to be going forward because I
have no place for it. And Plank might feel a
little bit different because they did have a Heisman Trophy
winner at Oklahoma partake in some of these very similar antics.

Speaker 4 (01:01:06):
That's right, that's right.

Speaker 1 (01:01:07):
I have no problem beat us if you don't want
to celebrating on your field. But in all reality, I
think the bottom line here more than anything else todd
by Ryan Day again in a big game, just the
game plan, the execution, the mental mistakes. In hell, Michigan
throwing the football probably saved the game for Ohio State.

(01:01:28):
Whenever Michigan probably could have ended up winning by two scores,
but for some reason was thrown on the goal line
earlier in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 4 (01:01:36):
What do we make now of Ohio State?

Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
Which is wild They just lost to Michigan again, but
yet they could still go play for a national championship.

Speaker 4 (01:01:43):
That's how good that roster might be.

Speaker 8 (01:01:45):
It's still extremely talented. But I think Ohio State has
to play to their strengths and it's figuring out exactly
what they feel confident in Will Howard's ability to stretch
the field. I mean, their NFL caliber receivers for Ohio
State at a variety of spots. Running back a little
bit underwhelming, and we've seen some of the shortcomings of
Quinn Shawn Judkins. But I think the other thing that
emerged against Michigan, and that's Nation's defensive front is the

(01:02:07):
biggest question mark we had about Ohio State coming into
the year and throughout the course of the season, and
they dealt with injuries was along that defensive line, and
in my opinion, that's not something you can necessarily wave
a magic wand and fix over the next couple of weeks.
But the Buckeyes, much like the other eleven teams that
will ultimately be given a passage into the Big Dance,
so to speak, they're all flawed, and I think it's

(01:02:27):
going to hinge on matchups as much as anything else.
And this is the college football landscape now, it's parody
reigning supreme and I don't think there is a clear
cut favorite, despite Oregon being the only undefeated team throughout
the regular season, that we should be led to believe
that one team has an easier road than others until
we see the bracket unveiled a week for Sunday.

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
So do you have four SEC teams going? Do you
put Alabama in there? Or what?

Speaker 7 (01:02:50):
You know?

Speaker 8 (01:02:50):
I think it's going to be really interesting. I definitely
have three teams Georgia and Texas in, and I think
Tennessee by virtue of their ten and two record get in.
What will be fascinating will be how the plays itself out.
If Clemson wins, they get a seat at the table
with the automatic bid, and I think SMU has done
enough by virtue of going eleven and one and undefeated
in the ACC that they would be deserving if Clemson

(01:03:11):
were to lose. The debate gets to be a lot
more interesting because I'm sure there are a faction of
folks that would like to include Miami at ten and
two and not have a nine to three football team
in there. But if you look at Lanekiffin's timeline, he
made a compelling case for his rebels being included as well.
Knowing that both Old Miss and Alabama beat South Carolina,
Shane Beemer's team arguably playing the best, but somewhere along

(01:03:33):
the way, results on the field have to matter, and
I think we're looking at, you know, some combination of Alabama,
Old Miss, South Carolina, and Miami potentially for that final spot.

Speaker 1 (01:03:43):
Yeah, bingo, you hit it right on the head. And listen,
if if things had maybe not gone south for Alabama
and in a town called Norman, or if things maybe
hadn't gone south for Old Miss against a Kentucky team,
then we might be talking about on an Ohio State
team who's set and loss could have been a little
bit more costly, or at the very least a one

(01:04:03):
loss Indiana, whom if they weren't be compared with two
with three loss SEC teams, Todd, it'd probably be on
the outside looking in for sure.

Speaker 8 (01:04:12):
And now we're talking about Indiana team, they may have
played their way into a home game given the carnage
that's taking place around the landscape. But I do think
when we try and figure out exactly what twelve teams
will be included in the inaugural playoff, it's important to
keep in mind that this is a de facto reality
TV show and it may be way too compelling theater
for the committee to try and pass up Notre Dame

(01:04:32):
in the five spot playing host to either in Alabama
as a perennial power, or try and reignite the Convicts
versus Catholics and get Miami in as a twelve spot
in that five to twelve matchup. So a lot of
those dominoes that are there, and you have to imagine
the committee would also be salivating it to Ohio State
team going on the road to Nieland Stadium to take
on Tennessee, whether it's Friday night in primetime or the

(01:04:54):
Saturday night Marque game as well.

Speaker 2 (01:04:56):
Dodd, anything stand out stand out for Saturday's game. I
know that Texas two and a half over Georgia's that
gould to get the three or well money coming in
on Georgia Oregon three and a half.

Speaker 4 (01:05:06):
Now Texas is a two and a half point favorite
over Georgia.

Speaker 8 (01:05:09):
Yes, and the number actually out to three wow in
this game. Total in the game forty nine. I think
when you go through Georgia and some of the inconsistency,
if you guys know which version of Kirby Smart's team
we're going to get, then it makes it much easier
to kind of handygat the Bulldogs. So for me, under
makes a little bit of sense. I think both of
these offenses are somewhat limited. I'd be intrigued if Clemson

(01:05:29):
got to a full field goal underdog. I mean, I
know they came up short against South Carolina, but the
betting market, in my opinion, is a little bit too
high on SMU, a team that hasn't been as good
away from Dallas as what we've seen on the road,
And I think when we go to the Mountain West Look,
Boise State has been running on fumes over the last
couple of weeks, and UNLV has an opportunity for revenge.

(01:05:49):
I know it's tough to go on the smurf turf
and win, but for everybody that already has Boise State
penciled in, I think the Rebels may have something to
say before all is said and done, and may play
their way into the college football playoffs. Thing I never
would have said a couple of years ago before Barry
Otam has completely overhauled this program and made them somewhat
relevant on a national scale.

Speaker 4 (01:06:07):
Awesome, Todd. We appreciate you, buddy.

Speaker 1 (01:06:09):
Have a great week, Hope you had a great holiday,
and we'll talk to you next weekend.

Speaker 8 (01:06:13):
Oh it's a pleasure, gentlemen. Enjoy championship Saturday and can't
wait to talk the first eight matchups that we know
are first four matchups in the college football Playoff this
time next week.

Speaker 1 (01:06:21):
Thank Gos, I didn't even think about it. Yeah, Todd Ferman,
I'm at the Board podcast. Check it out let that
resonate Steve de Seger. Next week at this time, we'll
have not only the twelve team playoff, but the playoff
matchups and the bowl games.

Speaker 4 (01:06:32):
Let's go.

Speaker 7 (01:06:33):
Yeah, the next playoff rankings come out Tuesday, but the
final playoff bracket will be announced next Sunday. It's going
to be December eighth already next Sunday. Remember it is
a twelve team playoff field now. That means first round
playoff games will be at campus sites before Christmas, as
for the quarterfinals Fiesta Bowl New Year's Eve, the other

(01:06:53):
three on New Year's Day, including the Rose Bowl, which
apparently will be a quarterfinal always because they don't want
to give up that lot for obvious reasons. This Friday
on Fox TV, it is number ten Boise State hosting
number nineteen UNLV in the Mountain West Championship game eight
pm Eastern Time. By the way, Ohio State fell to
number seven in today's new AP poll. Oregon is a

(01:07:16):
unanimous number one, Alabama up to number eleven, Arizona State
number twelve, South Carolina thirteen, Miami's down to number fourteen.
Clemson's down to number eighteen in AP but again Tuesday
the next playoff rankings. And while we're on college football,
West Virginia fired coach Neil Brown after six seasons. He
got an extension after last year, so he's owed nearly

(01:07:38):
ten million dollars. Purdue fired coach Ryan Walters. After going
one and eleven in his second season there. He's over
nine million dollars. Florida International fired coach Mike McIntyre X
of Colorado. He's owed over a million dollars in a buyout.
Temple's new head coach is Casey Keeler from sam Houston
State and Delaware. Now, we did have an NFL game

(01:07:59):
in snow at Buffalo tonight and the Bills won their
seventh straight, beating up the forty nine Ers thirty five
to ten. The Bills clinched the AFC East crown for
a fifth straight year. Forty nine Ers running back Christian
McCaffrey limped off in the first half with a PCL
ligament knee injury could be season ending. That is not confirmed,
but at least the coach did say multiple weeks this

(01:08:22):
kind of thing, and we'll find out more this week.
The Rams won twenty one fourteen at New Orleans for
Taysom Hill of the Saints. He was carted off in
the fourth quarter with a leg injury. MRI coming Monday,
Tampa Bay won in overtime at Carolina twenty six twenty three.
Philadelphia won its eighth straight game, twenty four to nineteen
at Baltimore in the NBA Everything's Final. The Clippers have

(01:08:44):
won the late game. James Harden had thirty nine points
against Denver and eleven assists in a win over The
Nuggets won twenty six one twenty two Houston and San
Antonio with victories Dallas and the Lakers each one. Cleveland
ended the celt seven game winning streak one fifteen to
one to eleven. Donovan Mitchell thirty five points twenty in

(01:09:05):
the fourth quarter. Memphis wonted sixth in a row. Orlando
won at six straight. The Orlando mac Magic started the
season three and six. Since then, they are twelve and one.
College hoops number twenty two Xavier defeated South Carolina State
surprisingly closed seventy one sixty eight. Women's college hoops Number
one UCLA won in Hawaii after a one point halftime lead.

(01:09:25):
It was seventy to forty nine final for UCLA. Number five.
Texas defeated number twelve West Virginia in Florida seventy eight
seventy three and I must mention. In women's hoops number seven,
LSU beat winless North Carolina Central one thirty one to
forty four.

Speaker 2 (01:09:41):
Wow.

Speaker 7 (01:09:42):
The losing team zero and ten they had just on
Friday lost at North Carolina one nineteen to forty three.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
Geez wow.

Speaker 7 (01:09:51):
You mentioned earlier Justin Tucker missing three kicks in a
game for the first.

Speaker 1 (01:09:55):
Time in his career.

Speaker 7 (01:09:56):
By the way, and yes, he has the most mix
miskicks in the NFL this year. Aaron Rodgers this stat
from CBS. He has lost a true home game after
leading by fourteen points or more for the first time
in his career. In his career at Lambeau and now
Met Life, Aaron Rodgers had been seventy five and oh
she went holding a fourteen point leader more including playoffs,

(01:10:19):
and they were at nineteen fourteen to nothing after the
first quarter with his two touchdown passes, but wound up
losing to Seattle twenty six twenty one.

Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
Close.

Speaker 2 (01:10:27):
Every pass to Devonte Adams now.

Speaker 7 (01:10:29):
Oh, Devonte Adams today was targeted twelve times.

Speaker 2 (01:10:33):
And had to fight like one hundred and twelve.

Speaker 1 (01:10:34):
Had five catches. You can target him twelve times and
only had five questions are five catches.

Speaker 7 (01:10:42):
That included the early TV But again, the fourteen to
nothing lead was blown by the Jets. Twelve penalties in
that game for the Jets as well, and it is
such a close game. Seattle did have the big man
touchdown the other way, ninety two yard interception returned for
a score second quarter that turned out to be key.

Speaker 1 (01:10:59):
Oh my god, Why did I ever? I get so
mad about how excited I got about Davante Adams in
my life and.

Speaker 7 (01:11:06):
Now now just imagine how the Jets feel, how excited
they get about seasons plurals.

Speaker 1 (01:11:15):
That's a fair point. Hey, I want to just clarify this.
Yere real quick. It's Onny in playing. Thanks to Steve
Sega for updates. He's going to join us coming up
next because we got to dive into all the news,
notes and nuggets from the day and statistical.

Speaker 4 (01:11:27):
Standouts in the National Football League. But I want to clarify.

Speaker 1 (01:11:31):
Yeah, you're as the trash talkingist Miami Dolphin, an Arizona
Wildcat fan, a Nick fan we have. You're mad about
the trash talking that Michigan fans are doing.

Speaker 2 (01:11:41):
Yeah, because they're not. You know, it's okay to celebrate
to win. Matter of fact, I even got a private
message that came into my father says the disgraceful thing
was that Michigan's coach. He told those players to go
plant that flag and that's what started it all. This
interview is unbelieve If you didn't see it, google it.
It was shocking to hear a coach speak like that.

(01:12:05):
You are so right, Arnie. That is from Mary out there.
So obviously Mary didn't want you to see that.

Speaker 1 (01:12:12):
Is that from Mary Mack and she sent that to you?
Did you send that to Arnie from the Fox Sports
radio studio.

Speaker 4 (01:12:20):
I'll tell you something.

Speaker 1 (01:12:22):
I am with you. I just in all of his craziness.
I am with you. Charon Moore should not be out
encouraging that. If it happens and some crazy senior or
one of your leaders goes out and does it, well
after you do it, you better be ready for a
throwdown like what happened in Florida, Florida State, like what

(01:12:42):
happened in Arizona State, Arizona, like what happened at the
end of Michigan. But my biggest problem in all of this,
and I gotta tip my hat to Steve Sarkshan. Did
you see what sark did at the end of Texas Texas.

Speaker 2 (01:12:53):
Yes, he's the one that says no, no, no, take that.

Speaker 1 (01:12:55):
Down, get out there. We're not doing that. We're not
doing this. Get out of there. Someone sent us the
shot from the logo. It's from Mario Christaball. Whenever Oregon
lost to Ohio State, when Crystal Ball was at Oregon,
he's getting everyone off load.

Speaker 4 (01:13:09):
He's like, no, no, no respect.

Speaker 1 (01:13:11):
This escalated whenever Michigan decided to taunt Ohio State and
guess what, they earned that right, and you can do that,
but there's a point where you're like, Okay, let's get
to the locker, let's get out of here, right and
Michigan decided they weren't going to that point. It's been
a frustrating season for them. They're defending their national champs
without anyone that was on a team really last year.

(01:13:33):
And those guys who came back, this was their super Bowl.
I don't think they're going to give two bleeps about
a Bahamas Bowl or wherever they're going exactly. But listen,
in all of that, my shot is you being the
one who tells us about the greatness of Miami in
Arizona when they haven't done anything. Getting mad at Michigan
for celebrating a win when they just won the national title.

Speaker 2 (01:13:54):
I'd be happy about it. But I wouldn't be you know,
I wouldn't be thrown in their face because I know
my season is coming to an end and their season's
going to continue with the playoffs. Now that's that's thetally different.
Shire was their super Bowl or whatever. But come on, man,
they went they went a little too far. They went
over you know, just overhead there. That's too much.

Speaker 1 (01:14:13):
When we come back, Steve de Sager's got everything we
need to know from a numbers perspective on the day
that was in the NFL right here on Fox Sports Radio.
All right, Charnie and Plank on a Fox Sports Sunday.
By the way, my favorite part of last segment to
Sager is whenever we've got you know, hundreds of text
rolling in and Arnie reads the one message that agrees

(01:14:34):
with him, it's more than one.

Speaker 7 (01:14:37):
It's just surprising.

Speaker 1 (01:14:38):
I think it's one DM. Hey, you guys want to
get on the air, send Arnie a DM and make
sure it's from a female. Mary was the only person
that got through what's up to Sager.

Speaker 7 (01:14:48):
By the way, that singer for those in the background,
they can hear, I know on the podcast. They don't
put the music but that's Gene Autry, former Angel's owner,
by the way, right, the only person ever to have
stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in five categories,
for his TV for his film work, for the music,
for his radio shows, live performance. Gene Autry an absolute legend.

(01:15:12):
Used to see him still when I was a kid
reporter starting to cover the Angels. Still be there, yes,
back in the nineties. Wow, he had this that long ago.
He had this cane. He used to be with him
at all time. I remember once they had a magical
ninth inning comeback and he walked by the manager's office
afterwards and the manager said.

Speaker 1 (01:15:31):
Hey, that was like one of your movies that come back,
didn't the coming.

Speaker 7 (01:15:36):
Gene Autry died at the age of ninety one. Ladies
and gentlemen lived a long and great sign up for that. Well,
we had snow for an NFL game, which is always
fun to watch because you're not in it. The Bills
won their seventh straight beat up San Francisco, and we've
got a Monday night game to go Cleveland at three
and eight, will be at Denver seven and five, and

(01:15:57):
the weather will be great, about forty degrees for that game.

Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
Tomorrow nights.

Speaker 7 (01:16:01):
Broncos allow under seventeen points a game, second best in
the NFL. Denver is on a bye next weekend. You know,
there were no NFL teams on a bye this weekend
with Thanksgiving. Six teams were last weekend. Six other teams
will be on a bye next weekend. Coming up Thursday night,
it's Green Bay at Detroit. Lions have won ten straight.
They averaged thirty four points a game, best in the league.

(01:16:23):
Detroit signed safety Jamal Adams.

Speaker 1 (01:16:25):
Today.

Speaker 7 (01:16:25):
Saquon Barkley and the Eagles won again. They've won eight straight.
Wonted Baltimore twenty four to nineteen. Barkley over one hundred
yards rushing. In fact, his scrimmage yards this season rushing
and receiving combined, it's over one thousand, seven hundred yards.
Only one other player has had that many scrimmage yards
in your first twelve games with a new team, and

(01:16:46):
that was Eric Dickerson when he was drafted by the Rams.

Speaker 2 (01:16:49):
You know, because of Saquon Barkley, guys, I was thinking,
what other players would you finally like to see on
good teams instead of just have their whole career I
just below average teams and I was looking at Stevenson today.
He's the running back for the.

Speaker 1 (01:17:02):
Patriots, Andre Stevens.

Speaker 2 (01:17:03):
Oh, could you imagine if that guy was like on
a good team or like on Kansas City or something,
he'd be like a stud, he'd be a star.

Speaker 1 (01:17:10):
He was in college. Always.

Speaker 7 (01:17:12):
The name that comes up from the past is Archie Mating.

Speaker 2 (01:17:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
I love how Arnie brings up a nice random running
back in Romandre Stevenson.

Speaker 4 (01:17:19):
Meanwhile, I didn't see that coming.

Speaker 1 (01:17:21):
And I did not see ramondre Stevenson coming. Is the
guy who if you even know one a winning team,
Jack over Rosby.

Speaker 2 (01:17:27):
Well that too, Well, that's true too.

Speaker 1 (01:17:29):
Yeah, that's a good one. I like that one.

Speaker 2 (01:17:30):
Oh, could you imagine?

Speaker 1 (01:17:31):
And he's a beast.

Speaker 4 (01:17:32):
Now to a tongue of balloa.

Speaker 1 (01:17:35):
Stop it stop.

Speaker 7 (01:17:36):
Still a little early in the careers of those guys.
By the way, Bobby Wagner has had a career for
many a year and is still in the league. And
by the way, I had five more tackles in the
Washington blowout win against the Titans today. He's over one
hundred tackles this season. Bobby Wagner at least one hundred
tackles in thirteen straight seasons. Now Washington had lost three
in a row, but they were up twenty one nothing

(01:17:58):
on Tennessee. After the quarter Titans with two fumbles. It
got up to twenty eight nothing second quarter, forty two
to nineteen the final as the Commanders had touchdowns on
their first four drives. This is a team that already
averages twenty eight points per game, top five in the NFL.
It was twenty eight nothing in the first half. Jade
and Daniels three touchdown passes and a touchdown run. Washington

(01:18:21):
finished with six t d's and one punt, and their
time at possession was over forty minutes. Brian Robinson, on
sixteen carries, had over one hundred yards rushing in a seconds.

Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
A team you don't want to play in the first round,
my friend, that's for sure.

Speaker 7 (01:18:34):
Well not with that quarterback completely young and healthy and productive. Yeah,
that would be a little bit of a danger. Chargers
quarterback Justin Herbert got a win at Atlanta seventeen thirteen
as Kirk Cousins through four interceptions, including on three of
the last four possessions. But for Herbert, he's gone ten
straight games without throwing a single interception. The record is

(01:18:56):
Tom Brady eleven straight games. By the way, Herbert's over
twenty five hundred yards passing and just one pick this
entire season. Only Aaron Rodgers has had a start like
that to the season that many yards passing but only
one interception at this point of the season. Indianapolis with
quite a finish now. They were down at New England
sixteen fourteen at half to a Patriots team that averages

(01:19:19):
sixteen points a game, second worst in the league. They're
worst in total yards, and yet New England was piling
up the yardage over four hundred yards today and still
the Colts won it because Anthony Richardson had the game
winning short touchdown pass with twelve seconds left, and then
they went for two and he had the two point run.

Speaker 2 (01:19:37):
That's when you go for two when it was like
eight seconds or twelve seconds something like that. That's when you
go for two when you know you know that it
was Stewart died. Now when the other team has a
chance to come back with like forty five seconds or something.

Speaker 7 (01:19:50):
And that late drive was nineteen plays eighty yards. They
had three fourth down conversions. They kept going and going
and won by one and Pittsburgh's win was forty four
to thirty eight at Cincinnati, nearly nine hundred total yards
in that one, fifty three first downs in that game,
and twenty penalties as well. Cincinnati next weekend at Dallas

(01:20:13):
on Monday Night Football.

Speaker 1 (01:20:14):
Oh Man, Steve de Seg're all right when we come back. Well,
my plan is to do after week fourteen of the NFL.
I know this, yes, but Arnie might have other ideas. Wow,
So stick around. We'll all find out together. That's the stinkingenius,
Arnie Spaniard. I'm Chris Plank. Power Hour coming up next
on Fox Sports Radio. Here we go, you into the

(01:20:36):
final hours Arnie and Plank on a Fox Sports Sunday,
and it's coming to you live from the ti iraq
dot com studios. Tire rack dot com will help you
get there and unmatched the selection, fast, free shipping, free
road hazard protection, and over ten thousand recommended installers. Ti
rack dot com the way tire buying should be.

Speaker 2 (01:20:56):
Remember, don't forget next week next weekend, big big, big show.
I need you on your best next weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:21:05):
Why is that?

Speaker 2 (01:21:06):
That's when the TV writers coming into the studio, the
one that's writing the story about the Arnie Spaniard show.

Speaker 1 (01:21:13):
I thought it was supposed to be this Sunday, No no,
A week from today, camp from today.

Speaker 2 (01:21:21):
So you have to put your best show possible on
next Sunday, so they write, you know, so they pick
up the show, write good stuff, and that way I
could be famous.

Speaker 4 (01:21:32):
Well, I mean you're pretty famous already.

Speaker 2 (01:21:34):
I know, but more famous, you know. I want to
be like George Cooney famous.

Speaker 1 (01:21:38):
Okay, well, I mean, correct me if I'm wrong here.
But the person who usually becomes the star is not
who the story is written about. It's who stars as.
The person who plays said, I guess you could say
profiled person in This Guy Got Toto.

Speaker 2 (01:21:56):
One problem at a time, Chris, I want to recurring
roles somehow in this TV show, So I gotta you know,
maybe it could be like a recurring caller already calling
it from the Bronx New York or something.

Speaker 1 (01:22:08):
Yeah, you tell them about how they need to be
nicer and not celebrate another team.

Speaker 2 (01:22:13):
I do is just say go Nicks, go Nicks.

Speaker 1 (01:22:16):
Whatever you do after a win, do not celebrate it
at all. Don't celebrate it.

Speaker 2 (01:22:21):
You're just gosh, you're so soft.

Speaker 1 (01:22:24):
And you keep saying I'm so soft. You keep saying
that Michigan season is done. I mean, have you not
seen the Bowl projections already? No?

Speaker 2 (01:22:31):
I must have missed that. I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (01:22:33):
Where the pigs knuckleball hold on Michigan? Well, it's it's
better than the Bowl that uh Arizona's going to go? Right,
Let's see here Bowl projections for Michigan. Let's see here
if anybody wants to play in that, it looks like
they could be headed to the Music City Bowl.

Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
Oh, that's good for them. They got that belt.

Speaker 1 (01:22:55):
They could play ol miss in that game and some
pretty good game, right it would be. And some have
them in the Relijah Quest Bowl. So your little thier
pointing saying their season is over?

Speaker 2 (01:23:08):
Was I was doing my chances to make the twelve
team tournament. They only had an old missive three percent
of making it. That shocked me.

Speaker 4 (01:23:16):
Well, can I before we dive into what we learned from?

Speaker 1 (01:23:20):
What are we all?

Speaker 4 (01:23:20):
Week thirteen? Fourteen thirteen?

Speaker 1 (01:23:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:23:23):
When I screw that out?

Speaker 1 (01:23:24):
What I said?

Speaker 2 (01:23:25):
You said week fourteen?

Speaker 1 (01:23:26):
Oh okay, what can you do me a favorite? Can
you just start driving the show? Can we just make
this agreement? Because you never want to talk about anything
I bring up. You have your rundown.

Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
We're talking about everything.

Speaker 1 (01:23:36):
Go ahead, I I've got my teams that are currently
on the bubble and my teams that are in. Okay,
teams that are in right regardless of what happens on Saturday.
Correct Oregon, Texas, Penn State, Notre Dame does in play
Notre Dame and Georgia. I'm gonna go ahead and put

(01:23:57):
Ohio State in that mix. I think I think you'd
have to add the winner of SMU Clemson, right, So
there's a seventh and either Boise State or unob So
that's eight. That's eight. So any problems with those eight
being in right now? No, those your eight that are in.
So that means you have you know what, I'm gonna

(01:24:19):
go one step farther. I think Tennessee's in. I think tennessee'son.
So there's nine. You have nine spots that I think
are set, and then you have a bunch of teams
fighting for those final three. And I think Indiana's in
that mix. Yes, I think.

Speaker 4 (01:24:37):
Indiana might be in. You might only have two spots here.

Speaker 1 (01:24:40):
You have the loser of SMU and Clemson, who I
think is in that mix. Then you have Alabama, South Carolina, Ole,
Miss and Miami. Those to me are the only six
teams that have a shot right now outside of the
nine that we mentioned. So I think there is three
spots up for grabs, and it might only be two

(01:25:00):
because I almost want to go as far Onie is
saying that Indiana is in, right, Indiana is in.

Speaker 2 (01:25:06):
I have feeling, I'm good I have from the Big ten,
I got Oregon, penn State, Ohio State, Indiana. So right,
there's four, the SEC, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee there's three. That's seven.
The Big twelve Champ is eight, the ACC Champ is nine.

Speaker 1 (01:25:23):
Boise or U n l V is ten.

Speaker 4 (01:25:26):
Oh I left out the Big twelve champ.

Speaker 1 (01:25:27):
You're right, okay, So that's that for two spots, and
Notre Dame is eleven. You mentioned Notre Dame, No not
I did not. You didn't mention Notre Dame.

Speaker 2 (01:25:38):
No I had four from the Big ten. Three from
the SEC is seven the big If you got.

Speaker 4 (01:25:45):
Four from the Big ten, you're not like me. You're
saying Indiana is in.

Speaker 2 (01:25:48):
Yes, So that's seven. Big twelve Champ is eight. ACC
Champ is nine. Notre Dame ten and then the Boise
or U n l V eleven that that makes room
for one. And when I look at one, Todd made
a very good point. Is that something you're gonna make
a case if they lose again? It's a made for

(01:26:09):
TV show. I don't think so. My pick would be
Alabama with who I would pick and they have a
thirty percent chance according to this what.

Speaker 4 (01:26:17):
Is what you're you're looking at the All state playoff predicting?

Speaker 1 (01:26:20):
Yeah? Yeah, yeah yeah? What do they have indian at.

Speaker 2 (01:26:24):
In the ninety nine percent to make it? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:26:30):
I wonder if they're gonna be the team that could
end up getting hosed.

Speaker 1 (01:26:33):
No, no, no, that's not possible. Why not look at
all the metrics. I know it's one loss versus three? Yeah,
what is their big win that they're.

Speaker 2 (01:26:42):
In because they're gonna be the they're the best conference,
the Big Ten, So they're gonna take the fourth team? No,
I no way, Indiana, there's no way in the attagatins
left out.

Speaker 1 (01:26:52):
Well, there was also no way that Florida State would
get left out zero last year.

Speaker 2 (01:26:56):
No, but ninety chance, I'm I'm I'm out undred percent.

Speaker 1 (01:27:00):
Hey, Arnie go back and look at what Florida State's
chances were before the four team playoff last year. I'm
just telling you, I don't disagree with you, but I
wouldn't be risking to cut my arm off on this one.
Just in case.

Speaker 2 (01:27:13):
Miami is a twenty four percent chance.

Speaker 1 (01:27:17):
I would have them at zero right now. I think
they blew it. They blew it, So you're gonna go
ahead and sharpion Indiana right. Yes, I left out Penn
State in my other numbers. I knew was you felt
one short? One short there. The Notre Dame is in
since they don't play another game, they don't have to
worry about a conference championship and they're good to go.

(01:27:39):
Then obviously you got your conference champs from the Big twelve,
the ACC and the highest ranked. Then next conference champion,
which will be Boys or UNLV. I just think there's
gonna be some voodoo to make sure they get another
team in. BYU's out. Yeah, what's their percentage chance should

(01:28:00):
be zero? How could they get in? What's the path
for BYU to get I don't know that. I don't
have see that. To me, the only chance that BYU
would have had is if Alabama lost to Auburn. South
Carolina is even ahead of BYU right now. Is there

(01:28:21):
a case? Here's where my biggest struggle is in college basketball.
For the longest time, we would scratch and fight and
claw for the team that was playing the best down
the stretch. Right final ten games, they're nine to one.
They're a good basketball team. Now now they've taken that
metric out in the net rankings. But I don't know
if there's a team playing better football right now than
South Carolina.

Speaker 2 (01:28:42):
They're better than BYU and right below Miami.

Speaker 1 (01:28:48):
One spot then, is what you're saying the spot in
the one spot I gave is to Alabama. Why, well, one,
it is a TV made thing, and I don't like
the lost of Oklahoma. But I need to take the
fourth team, and I'm thinking it's got to be from
the SEC, because I can't take a fifteen from the
Big Ten. I'm not going to take a second team

(01:29:09):
from many of the other conferences. So it really makes
it kind of easy for me that it's got to
be a team from the SEC. Well, of course you
can say that I don't disagree with you on that front,
but you're just like right away saying, oh yeah, no, no, no,
it's Alabama.

Speaker 4 (01:29:22):
Why not ole Miss?

Speaker 2 (01:29:24):
Could be ole Miss?

Speaker 4 (01:29:27):
Do you know one of it? You got cut off there.

Speaker 1 (01:29:30):
You know. One of the problems is the playoff Committee
looks so much at the predictive rankings, and I think
the predictive rankings are the biggest crock of crap there is.
But the FPI, which is something I think that matters
to them, has Alabama at four. Oh, by the way,
it has ole Miss at eight. It's got Indiana at ten.
That's a predictive ranking. Their strength of schedule for our

(01:29:54):
strength of record, which is kind of a bigger deal
in the strength of schedule is ten for Alabama, eighteen
for ole Miss.

Speaker 4 (01:30:02):
They have to win over Georgia. But SODA's ole Miss.

Speaker 1 (01:30:05):
I don't know. I just I think it's gonna be
a tough battle between those two teams for the last spot.

Speaker 4 (01:30:10):
And I don't know. You still giving Miami a little
bit of hope there?

Speaker 2 (01:30:13):
Oh yeah, absolutely so? Then then why obviously would it
not over over Alabama?

Speaker 1 (01:30:19):
No, No, Miami, Yeah, Hurricanes to get you still have
them a chance to get in. There's the last pick. Well,
you just have Alabama as the last pick.

Speaker 2 (01:30:27):
Well, it said as a possibility. If they don't take Alabama,
then yes, but no, my last pick is going to
be Alabama. If if I'm wrong, then maybe Miami.

Speaker 1 (01:30:36):
So you wouldn't you would go Alabama, then Miami. See
I'd go Alabama, Ole Miss South Carolina, then Miami. I
think Miami. I mean it. And all these numbers, aren't
you that allegedly matter? They're just not that high.

Speaker 2 (01:30:50):
Yeah, the numbers I'm not looking at don't even back
that up, though, Chris, You know, for what for who's
going to be the team that gets in there?

Speaker 1 (01:30:57):
You're looking at the All State Playoff predictor, which has
percentages for the playoff, and who they think is gonna
get in. I'm looking at the FPI. I'm looking at
the strength of schedule. I'm looking at game control. I'm
looking at strength of record right now.

Speaker 2 (01:31:12):
Strength to schedule. What was in the strength to schedule, by.

Speaker 4 (01:31:15):
The way in the fifties sixty fifth?

Speaker 1 (01:31:17):
Oh boy, they could just didn't look at that very hard.
That's all I can say.

Speaker 4 (01:31:22):
No, no names is fifty seventh.

Speaker 1 (01:31:24):
Ouch, I didn't know it was that bad. Sim uses
seventy fifth as far as that is concerned. Wow, Now,
if you want to go in a strength of record,
which is a it reflects that you're really nerding out. Now, well,
this is what they allegedly look at. Right, you're looking
at a percentage. You're getting sucked in by the machine. Arnie,

(01:31:45):
you're looking at ESPN. You gotta dig deeper, my friend,
you gotta look at the analytics of this thing and
really nerd out. But strength of record, which basically says,
what's the chance an average top twenty five team would
have your record or better? Surprisingly, Indiana's above all of them.
On strength of record. Indiana's strength of record is eighth

(01:32:06):
and their strength of schedule sixty five. And oh, by
the way, Indiana's seventh. In game control souh. Alabama is fifth,
which is huge in the eyes of the committee. Top
team in game control this year already span your in
college football? You want to guess number one team in
game control in college football?

Speaker 4 (01:32:24):
I was shocked when I saw this.

Speaker 2 (01:32:25):
Oh if you know that, you said, you're shocked. Did
I know I'm not going to be right?

Speaker 4 (01:32:28):
For go ahead, Texas? Do you know who's number two?

Speaker 1 (01:32:32):
Oregon? Ole?

Speaker 2 (01:32:34):
Miss That is shocking, So.

Speaker 1 (01:32:37):
To me again, I threw a bunch of number salad
and word salad out there. But I would say, I,
I don't think anything is set in stone, So who
did you have as your last team?

Speaker 2 (01:32:47):
And then getting you didn't have Alabama in.

Speaker 4 (01:32:49):
Then no, no, no, I would have Alabama.

Speaker 1 (01:32:50):
That'd be my last team in the situation we're looking at,
I'm just trying to pick through it, like, hey, do
you are you sure Indiana is a slam dump? Are
we not sure that the loser of the ACC Championship game,
if it's SMU, wouldn't be a slam duck? Like if
Clemson wins the ACC title and SMU is there with
just two losses, it's gonna be really hard to take
a three loss SEC team over them. But we saw

(01:33:14):
an undefeated Florida State team get left out last year,
so I think anything is anything is possible.

Speaker 2 (01:33:19):
And that's where the TV made for TV movie comes in.
And then you'd start pointing against strengthen schedule, and then
that's where everybody goes home happy if you're with the committee,
that's right.

Speaker 1 (01:33:29):
There's like, well, hold on a second, no one's played
a tougher schedule than them, and their game control matters
to us, and they'll drop lines on you like their
their average in game win probability Rake and the FPI. Yeah,
is it like.

Speaker 2 (01:33:43):
Nine out of ten people on the committee from Alabama
or no.

Speaker 4 (01:33:46):
Eleven of eleven.

Speaker 1 (01:33:48):
Yeah, eleven of eleven and they all have sec ties too,
so that doesn't help out. I kind of, you know,
I was trying to figure out if Tennessee might be
in a little bit of trouble from just a are
being them in, but it's hard to you know, Yes,
they lost to Georgia, Yes they lost to Arkansas, but
they went over Florida looks better. They took care of

(01:34:11):
business against Alabama whenever they had a chance to play them.
I think Tennessee's resume, honestly, Arnie, is one of the
shakiest of the teams that were just like they're in.
They're in right now, and I think they're good, I
really do. I think that's a good football team. But
I do think their resume isn't getting challenged as much
as it should.

Speaker 2 (01:34:27):
So you're I agree right about that. You're you are
one hundred percent right about that. One out of all
the major ones except for the ones that get the
automatic bit obviously, So we agree eleven spots pretty much
set with one amongst five to six teams.

Speaker 1 (01:34:42):
And those five to six teams Alabama, Ole, Miss South Carolina,
Miami loser of the ACC championship game.

Speaker 4 (01:34:52):
And that's really about it. You know, that's still alive
in the state.

Speaker 1 (01:34:55):
It's wild. And to say you thought that this was
going to ruin the last week in the record season,
what is wrong with you?

Speaker 4 (01:35:02):
All Right, listen, we got a break.

Speaker 1 (01:35:03):
When we come back to the tyrack dot com studios,
let's find out what we learned after week thirteen of
the National Football League, Because unfortunately I had to give
up hope on a team that I believed in, and
maybe all hope has been given up on the San
Francisco forty nine ers as well. What have we learned
after week thirteen of the NFL. We'll dive into it
next on Fox Sports Radio. All right, let's do this, Arnie.

(01:35:25):
It's time to find out what we learned after week thirteen. Yeah,
the National Football League. By the way, this song was
written by a person from Oklahoma. One of our claims
to fame. All I want for Christmas is a hippopotamus.
Now that I say that, I don't know if that's true.
But let's just go with it, all right, Arnie, you

(01:35:47):
imploded my season ended season saved segments, So which, by
the way, was your idea? So let's dive into what
we learned after Week thirteen of the NFL.

Speaker 4 (01:35:57):
Where do you want to start?

Speaker 2 (01:35:59):
I'll start with this. It didn't take me this long.
I knew this way ahead of time. I knew this
before the season already started. But we, of course we
had to give people a certain sample size. And now
that we've seen this sample size, I've learned this. There's
no way that the Jets should be bringing back Aaron
Rodgers for next year, no way to know how. The

(01:36:19):
guy just doesn't even come close to having it anymore.
I watched a lot of that game. He targeted Devonte Adams,
as you heard, twelve times, and he only caught five passes.
I'm like, you can't throw the ball to anybody else.
He had listened two hundred yards passing on thirty nine attempts.
Tell me that sounds like Aaron Rodgers. He just looks

(01:36:39):
horrible out there, and because he scrambled around once, everybody
just went ooh, looks like the Rogers of old. He
is just horrible, absolutely horrible. His career is oh v
e R, my friend, it is over.

Speaker 6 (01:36:55):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:36:55):
You're committing to this even if he magically ends up
on the Dolphins next year and two gets hurt.

Speaker 2 (01:37:00):
Right, You're done stop it. I'm done so with him.

Speaker 1 (01:37:03):
What did you make By the way, I'm looking for
some of the audio because the Jets audio excuse me,
because the Jets did not commit to making him their
starting quarterback next No.

Speaker 2 (01:37:13):
Not at all, and I wouldn't bring him back. There's
no way. I don't know week, not next year, next week,
next week. I didn't know that.

Speaker 1 (01:37:21):
Wow. Yeah. In fact, Jeff Ulbrich there, interim head coach,
was noncommittal about it.

Speaker 2 (01:37:28):
But didn't I ask you when we were filling in,
I go, what's true? What's not true? Do they want
to bench Rogers and everybody's at all? That adds a rumor.
That's not true. They love each other. They just went
out to dinner and Woody Johnson.

Speaker 1 (01:37:41):
I'm like, no, no, no, no, you and I I would not
disagree with that. If you brought up when you and
I were filling in, the thing that I was blown
away by was that he wasn't getting medical attention because
he was worried they wouldn't let him play, right, That
was the story where I thought that cannot be true,
and I guess it was. He wouldn't get it. He
wouldn't get or at least it's reportedly true, he wouldn't

(01:38:01):
get an MRI because he was worried about what the
injury might look like and they might not let him play.

Speaker 2 (01:38:06):
I mean, now somebody will take a chance on him
for one more year, as you mentioned, to be a
bridge between them and like a rookie quarterback. But and
you get them at the bare bones minimum, unlike what
the Jets have.

Speaker 4 (01:38:18):
You're not going to get Aaron Rodgers at the bare
bones minimum.

Speaker 2 (01:38:20):
Yeah, but well, yeah, you're right about well the Jets
would have to pick up some of the contract or no.

Speaker 1 (01:38:25):
Yeah, I mean the Jets are on the hook for it.
But I mean, this idea that he's going to go
somewhere for the league minimum, I just think you're fooling yourself.
By the way, here's what Jeff Ulbrick said about figuring
things out after the game. You gotta figure that out.

Speaker 9 (01:38:36):
We've got to figure it out quickly because it's and
it's never on one person. It isn't it's it's on
the entire collective group, you know, from coaches to players
to every single human being out there on offense. So
we got to be better in those moments.

Speaker 1 (01:38:48):
Got to figure it out. Alreadie, that's that's not good.
How about this? Because I heard I think it was
ephrom talking about this earlier tonight. You think that's the
only show I listened to today or something as many
times as I brought up you from Stakes. But about
Kirk Cousins potentially being on the block after this season, yeah,
because and he threw four picks today, I think, and

(01:39:12):
Derek Carr could be out there next year. I think
of those three to four veteran quarterbacks, honestly, I think
Aaron Rodgers would be dfl dead freaking last and the
guy that I would want out of any of those
dudes right now, even and I know Carr card has
no offensive line right now in New Orleans, but I mean,
holy smokes man, just Aaron looks old. He looks old.

Speaker 2 (01:39:33):
He looks old at the guy that's coming off of
major injury, which is exactly what he has, what he's doing.

Speaker 1 (01:39:38):
You know who looks old?

Speaker 2 (01:39:39):
Who is DeVante Adams. He doesn't look so good out there.

Speaker 1 (01:39:43):
Just to think I believed him in a one time
believed in him at one time, Arnie, that was my guy.
After a week thirteen of the National Football League. I
know this it's not gonna be pretty, but I think
one of the most fun races in the NFL is
it's going to take place in the NFC South. Now, technically,

(01:40:04):
technically every single team is still alive in the NFC South,
but you have six and six, six and six, and
I may have to let go of my Saints' dream
at four and eight. But to New Orleans credit, they
still have an opportunity to play the teams that are
in front of them. They play the Buccaneers coming up
to wrap up the season, and they've got the Giants

(01:40:25):
next week. Oh, by the way, they also have the
Raiders on their remaining schedule, so that's at least two
automatic dubs for New Orleans. So you might as well
just put them at six and eight regardless. I know
Atlanta looked terrible the last couple of weeks, but aren't
he The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got back on track today.
I'm not saying it's gonna be pretty. I'm not saying

(01:40:45):
it's gonna be pretty, but I think that's gonna be
a fun race down the stretch between Atlanta and Tampa Bay.
And you know what, I'll go and throw that into
the West. You got three teams now within a game
of each other. The Niners, whatever they are this year,
is two games. I think that's going to be a
blast to watch down the stretch of the season.

Speaker 2 (01:41:02):
Well, I was about to say, you stole mine. I
was about to say, well, at least we know that
there's three teams left in the NFC West. Because the
seasons come to an end. For the San Francisco forty
nine ers, they're on a losing streak.

Speaker 1 (01:41:13):
They don't look good.

Speaker 2 (01:41:14):
They've now pretty much lost Christian McCaffrey for the rest
of the year. It's o ve are for the San
Francisco forty nine ers. You and Mark Willard enjoyed the
off season. My friend, there you go after Week thirteen.

Speaker 1 (01:41:26):
I know this. We have a two horse race for
the MVP. It is Josh Allen versus Saquon Barkley. I
am still not one of those peoples that's gonna sit
here and fight with you and tell you that the
Giant should have kept Saquon. I don't think he would
be nearly the quarterback or exceed the running back in

(01:41:46):
New York this year that he is in Philadelphia. But
as of this hour, the best numbers you can get
on Josh Allen, it's actually he's still at plus fifty
plus one fifty at Bad Rivers, but minus two thirtieth
FanDuel minus two hundred at Caesars minus won seventy five
right now at Draft Kings. Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley a fairly

(01:42:08):
close second pick, plus seven hundred plus five hundred plus
four to twenty five plus two to seventy five. Arnie,
I'm not a big awards guy. I don't really care
too much, but I'm fascinating to see which way voters
go here, because I think we've got a two horse
race now between Josh Allen and Saquon bart I'm not.

Speaker 2 (01:42:25):
An awards guy either, but I would vote. My vote
would go to Saquon Barkley over Josh Allens of today.

Speaker 1 (01:42:31):
Yeah, he's been great. He's been great, all right? Anywhere
else to go with things you've learned?

Speaker 2 (01:42:35):
Well, I've still learned that and I know I'm going
back to Friday, but that Kansas City is still doing
it with mirrors eleven and one, and they're doing it
against bad teams out there. I don't know how they're
getting it done. I'm still waiting for them to stumble.
They will stumble, Chris, they will. It's just a matter
of time. We'll see if it's going to be in
the regular season or in the playoffs. If I was,

(01:42:57):
then you better hope it comes in the regular season.

Speaker 4 (01:43:00):
Yeah, and then after Week thirteen, just to put a
cap on it. I know this.

Speaker 1 (01:43:04):
I guess I need to turn back around and start
giving some flowers to the Eagles. You know, they've won
now eight straight games, and during this stretch it all
hasn't been pretty. There's a game they should have lost
to the Browns. That was whenever you had your coach
going after the fans, right, whenever he was over there
talking trash to the fans, you went. You took care

(01:43:25):
of Cincinnati. But it wasn't a pretty game. Nearly lost
to Jacksonville at home. But Arnie, they keep finding ways
and they're beating good teams. The win over the Ravens
is a good win. Today Carolina's playing better. They've got
them next week and don't look now, but in two
weeks it's Pittsburgh and Philadelphia maybe two of the hottest

(01:43:46):
teams in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (01:43:47):
So I'm one eightying. Is that the proper way to
put it?

Speaker 1 (01:43:50):
I'm doing a one to eighty right now on the
Philadelphia Eagles, Arnie, I think they might be the team
to beat one a NEX to Detroit in the NFC
right now.

Speaker 2 (01:44:00):
If we're gonna do a one ad, I can tell
you this, and I've I've been kind of on this
earlier and now you're coming to my way of thinking.
I can now probably come up with maybe ten young
quarterbacks I'd rather have than c J. Stroud. How about that?

Speaker 4 (01:44:15):
Okay, name him?

Speaker 2 (01:44:17):
Are you gonna make You're gonna.

Speaker 4 (01:44:18):
Put me on young? He's a second year quarterback?

Speaker 1 (01:44:21):
How young are we?

Speaker 2 (01:44:23):
Does that count as one?

Speaker 1 (01:44:24):
Well? That's a fourth year quarterback?

Speaker 2 (01:44:26):
Well, I said I I can't do exactly the same years,
you know, so you know, does that count as one?
Like I'm starting to think I'd rather have Bo nixt
than then.

Speaker 1 (01:44:35):
That would count. That would count to me. I think
if you're going to compare people to CJ.

Speaker 2 (01:44:40):
Daniels.

Speaker 4 (01:44:41):
That's your first year guy.

Speaker 2 (01:44:43):
I mean that's fair that. That's another fair one.

Speaker 4 (01:44:45):
This was a guy that was one of the odds
on favorites in the m v P race.

Speaker 2 (01:44:49):
I'd rather that Caleb Williams over c J.

Speaker 1 (01:44:51):
Stroud. That's that's that's four. Adding to the list. What
about a Donald? Would you rather have a O'Connell over CJ.
I'd rather he got cut off again. So you've been
on this train with CJ. Stroud for a while. But
I mean they're still winning games and they're gonna get
a home playoff game because they're gonna win their division. Well,

(01:45:12):
it's a poor division. That's why eight and five. I
mean that's five they've I don't know what's going on there.
I have no idea.

Speaker 2 (01:45:23):
And they have a lot of weapons too, Like you said,
they picked up Joe Mixon, they have the wide receivers there.
I just it's not like he's getting sacked a lot,
so can't be the offensive.

Speaker 1 (01:45:33):
Line fault's getting sacked a lot though, I said, it's
not like he's getting he is, Oh he is. Yeah,
they're having all kinds of offensive line issues in Houston
right now.

Speaker 2 (01:45:43):
I didn't know it's as bad as you know some
of the other teams.

Speaker 1 (01:45:46):
Well, he's been he was sacked twice a day four times.
Last week he was sacked four times by the Lions,
and the Jets got him eight times in a Monday
night football game or the Thursday night game.

Speaker 4 (01:45:57):
That seems pretty significant to me.

Speaker 2 (01:45:59):
Well, I mean, if that's if that's where the problem is,
but it seems like it's a lot more deeper than that.

Speaker 1 (01:46:04):
I mean, he's completed almost seventy percent of his passes today,
seven point one per in a touchdown. So I'm keep
counting him out, Arnie, keep counting him out now, but
you're you're clear you're not taking ad and O'Connell over CJ.

Speaker 2 (01:46:18):
Stroud, Right, No, No, that I'm not doing. I'm not
that crazy to stop it.

Speaker 4 (01:46:22):
Well, after week thirteen, I know this. We have one
more update to get to, is that correct?

Speaker 1 (01:46:27):
Yes, that's one more look around the world of sports
with our man, Steve de Seger. So take it away,
Steve with what's trending, and let's get a rap on
the day that was in the sports world.

Speaker 7 (01:46:36):
Maybe there you talked about the NFL schedule in two
weeks It's not only Pittsburgh at Philadelphia at the same time,
it's Buffalo at Detroit that day. Nice is the Sunday
night game they'll be playing in the late afternoon window
on opposite networks. The Monday night games plural, there are
two starting at about the same time in mid December,

(01:46:58):
Bears at Vikings and Falcons at Raiders that night. And
you mentioned Joe Mixon with the Texans. This is six
road games now this season that he's had at least
one hundred yards rushing and a touchdown rushing, which he
did today, which means in the last twenty years he
did something. Only Derrick Henry has done six road games

(01:47:19):
of that in a single season. Two other stats I
found really particularly for Chris Baker Mayfield in the overtime
win at Carolina. His stats in the fourth quarter and
overtime eleven of twelve passing one hundred and fourteen yards
and the Saints lost at home to the Rams. How
about this in the fourth quarter or overtime when only

(01:47:40):
down eight points or less. Derek Carr is oh to
seven since the start of last season in that situation.
Oh wow, Aidan O'Connell oh and five in that situation
starting the last season.

Speaker 1 (01:47:52):
Said Baker's.

Speaker 2 (01:47:53):
Also in overtime, Owen won and sacked one by the
police officer.

Speaker 1 (01:47:57):
That got over my bad.

Speaker 7 (01:47:59):
That's talking about that Tampa Bay that turned out to
be quite a finish. At Carolina twenty six twenty three
in overtime, the Bucks took a Chase McLoughlin with three
late field goals, including a fifty one yarder at the
end of regulation that was thirty seconds after Carolina took
the lead with a touchdown pass running back Chewba Hubbard
fumbled in the ot at the Tampa Bay thirty Tampa

(01:48:19):
Bay turned it into the winning field goal. Bryce Young
did have two hundred ninety eight yards passing and a
touchdown Layton regulation. Bucky Irving of the Bucks twenty five
carries one hundred and fifty two yards in a score.
Mike Evans eight catches one hundred and eighteen yards in
a score. Panthers had the league's worst rush defense, so
Tampa Bay on thirty nine carries had two hundred and

(01:48:39):
thirty six yards.

Speaker 1 (01:48:40):
On the ground.

Speaker 7 (01:48:41):
Wow, and they win an overtime. Eddie Pinero on the
first half on the losing side missed field goals of
thirty eight and forty five yards that turned out to
be Costlee. Next week, Tampa Bay hosts Las Vegas, which
is lost eight in a row so bad. The Bucks
do average under twenty eight points a game, or right
about there twenty six today, but they were under the
five hundred mark but got to win here at Carolina.

(01:49:03):
As for New Orleans, the home loss was to the
Rams twenty one to fourteen. Rams were down six nothing
at the half. Kyra and Williams on fifteen carries at
one hundred four yards in a touchdown. In the fourth quarter,
New Orleans had a fourteen play drive but it was
stopped at the LA nine. New Orleans lost by a
TD Alvin Kamara one hundred and twelve yards rushing. The
injury news from Taysom Hill carted off in the fourth

(01:49:26):
quarter with a leg injury. From the NFL Network report,
it does not look good, but the MRI is coming
Monday tonight. An injury for the forty nine ers star
running back Christian McCaffrey. He limped off in the first half.
It's a PCL ligament knee injury. Says the team could
be season ending. He was looking good in the first
half seven carries fifty three yards through the snow, but.

Speaker 4 (01:49:47):
Barely his career is over. Steve, I don't know if you.

Speaker 7 (01:49:49):
Heard Arnie Arlis show, yeah exactly. Buffalo has won seven
in row. Beat the Niners thirty five to ten. Josh
Allen four total touchdowns, including credit for a TD pass
and TD reception on the same play. Niners had three fumbles,
while the Bills on red zone tds went four for four.
Buffalo clinches the AFC East title for a fifth straight year.

(01:50:11):
Philadelphia won its eighth game in a row. Ten and
two record now for the Eagles after a win at
Baltimore twenty four to nineteen. The Eagles in six straight
games now as a team have had at least one
hundred and fifty yards on the ground two rushing touchdowns
or even the last six, I should say, because they
didn't go for it at the end offensively, so they
finished with one hundred and forty and two touchdowns on

(01:50:34):
the ground, so that streak ends. But the Eagles were
down nine to nothings second quarter, came back to win.
Wide receiver Rashad Bateman of Baltimore left with a knee injury.
Eagles wide out DeVante Smith did not play due to
a hamstring injury. Vikings won their fifth straight beat Arizona
twenty three to twenty two. Sam Darnold two short touchdown passes,
including the game winner with about a minute to go.

(01:50:56):
Minnesota had one third down conversion all day, one for eight,
and the Cardinals had ten penalties almost one hundred yards
of penalties on red zone tds Arizona one for six,
and so it winds up a home team win for Minnesota.
Victories for Washington and the Chargers. Seattle came back to
beat the Jets Indy with the late touchdown and two

(01:51:17):
point run one. At New England, Houston held on to it.
At Jacksonville, Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars quarterback, left with a concussion
after a late hit, and Pittsburgh won forty four to
thirty eight. At Cincinnati, Steelers led at early fourth quarter
forty one to twenty four after a fumble return for
a touchdown. Russell Wilson a four hundred and fourteen yard
passing day, three touchdowns and one interception. Clippers won the

(01:51:41):
late NBA game over Denver won twenty six one twenty two.
James Harden thirty nine points, eleven assists.

Speaker 1 (01:51:46):
Back to you, Thanks Steve, have a great week, buddy,
Thanks Steve.

Speaker 4 (01:51:50):
Are you buying? I feel like I ask.

Speaker 1 (01:51:52):
This every week and I feel like we all have
a different answer every week. That was a pretty good
win today for the Vikings. I know some would argue
you shouldn't be playing close games with you know, five
hundred team if you're a super Bowl contender. But are
you buying Sam Darnell and the Vikings right now or.

Speaker 2 (01:52:11):
No, Well we'll forget about them buying them. Yes, that
was a humongous win. It keeps the one game behind
Detroit in one game ahead of Green Bay, so that's tremendous.
Plus it keepster winning streak going to what like six
in a row. You're right, they shouldn't be, but Arizona's
a good team. We don't give them enough credit. You
knew that was going to be a dogfight game anyway,

(01:52:33):
So no, that was That was a good victory either
way around. I guess we should probably give Minnesota more
credit because the more the season goes on, the more
we're waiting for them to falter, and that's far from
what they're doing at all.

Speaker 1 (01:52:44):
I think the Gosh, this might be a bad take,
but I'll throw it out there anyway. I don't know
that Minnesota's really had that signature win yet this year,
and probably completely unfair for a team that, you know,
beat the Niners early in the Sea, went to green
Bay and beat green Bay. But in the midst of

(01:53:05):
this five game winning streak, Arnie, it's the Colts, the Jaguars,
the Titans, the Bears, and the Cardinals.

Speaker 2 (01:53:13):
They remind me of like University of Indiana in college football?

Speaker 4 (01:53:17):
Right, are they any good?

Speaker 2 (01:53:19):
Unassuming?

Speaker 1 (01:53:20):
Are they any good? They need more of their resume.
And it's unfair to me because you go to Green
Bay and you win, that's a big deal, right, especially
with how good green Bay is this year, But it
was it was also I mean Jordan Love threw for
like four hundred yards in that game but had four
touchdowns and three picks. Also, they were up twenty eight
to seven and a half, so it took like that

(01:53:42):
crazy fourth quarter for green Bay to even make it
look that good.

Speaker 4 (01:53:45):
I digress.

Speaker 1 (01:53:45):
I just I wonder if sometimes we're not given Minnesota
the respect that they should be giving because, like I
said earlier, right, I said, four teams right now that
we look at as Super Bowl contenders Bills, Chiefs, Lions, Eagles,
Do the Vikings or Ravens belonging that mix from the
NFC and the AFC? Probably not right, Yeah, but their
records are really nice and they played some big time games.

Speaker 4 (01:54:08):
And I'm confusing once too. I would never.

Speaker 2 (01:54:11):
I mean, here we are twelve games in and I'm
writing off teams that are ten and two going.

Speaker 1 (01:54:17):
No, I wouldn't put them in my Super Bowl exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:54:20):
You know, Liken forget even even at nine and three,
you think did be Super Bowl contenders. But I don't
have it that way, all right.

Speaker 1 (01:54:27):
When we come back, apparently Arnie had a good week
in the National Football League.

Speaker 2 (01:54:31):
Yes, I did.

Speaker 1 (01:54:32):
College not so much. We'll dive into it next on
Fox Sports Radio. Oh, it's a.

Speaker 4 (01:54:41):
It's a final segment. That's sick up on us.

Speaker 1 (01:54:45):
That was a quick show today. Great job Mary Matt,
Great job Patrick Swaka as always awesome boy to sayga
own updates and the millions and millions of editors behind
the scenes putting together audio like this from Jaguar's head
coach Doug Peterson on the Big Hit Trevor Lawrence took
It's a.

Speaker 10 (01:55:05):
Play that nobody wants to see in our league obviously,
you know, because you see what happens, you know, after
the fact, and it just escalates. And and I've got
a lot of respect for coach Ryan's and I mean
he I know, he doesn't coach his team that way.
We don't coach our team that way. And it's unfortunate,
it really is. It's unfortunate. I'm just glad that Trevor
is going to be fine.

Speaker 1 (01:55:24):
Looks like he's going to be okay. Yeah, to put
him on ir and shut him down a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:55:29):
More and be like, Okay, next time we play with them,
we're going to do that to their quarterback and take
him out there too. But I knows. Let's look, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:55:36):
So the man who just said earlier he doesn't like
coaches talking gas and players on a plan a field
wants Doug Peterson to say that difference.

Speaker 2 (01:55:47):
Between getting your quarterback hit like that on a cheap
shot and uh, you know, talking all that gays just
because you want a football game and you're not going
to play in any more games other than a meaningless bowl.

Speaker 1 (01:55:58):
Game, which again is a bowl game that Arizona hasn't
qualified for Aaron Rodgers on his numbers in the season.
There's eleven guys on the field.

Speaker 5 (01:56:09):
You know, sometimes it's my fault, you know, definitely multiple
times today.

Speaker 10 (01:56:15):
And then sometimes the details aren't aren't there on some
other spots too.

Speaker 1 (01:56:18):
And speaking of details not being there, Joe Burrow and
things not looking good for the Bengals the rest of
the season.

Speaker 4 (01:56:25):
How's the outlook look playoffs?

Speaker 5 (01:56:28):
I mean, the furthest thing from my mind. You know,
you never know what can happen. So, like I said,
I'm just going to keep putting one foot front of
the other, try to be the best player that I
can be for the rest of the season and weekend
and week out, day in and day out, trying to.

Speaker 1 (01:56:42):
Be the best that I can be.

Speaker 4 (01:56:43):
Man, it's got to suck.

Speaker 1 (01:56:44):
The Bengels went to the Super Bowl two years ago,
and now all of a sudden, they're like scratching a
sniff five hundred.

Speaker 2 (01:56:51):
You know who they are, don't you?

Speaker 4 (01:56:52):
Who's that they're?

Speaker 2 (01:56:53):
The Bengals are a one hit wonder. They're not going
anywhere anymore.

Speaker 4 (01:56:56):
What the Bengals the Bengals is?

Speaker 2 (01:56:58):
What are the Bengals?

Speaker 1 (01:56:59):
I'm sorry, the Bengals Arnie were not a one hit wonder,
how dare you say I'm sorry?

Speaker 2 (01:57:05):
The Seger will be all mad when he hears Adam.

Speaker 4 (01:57:07):
Sure, yeah he is all right.

Speaker 1 (01:57:08):
Well, speaking of getting people mad, it is time for
Arnie's pick, So take it away, steak ingenius when he
let's do it went.

Speaker 2 (01:57:15):
I think three and five in college, but I did
go seven and three in the NFL. I'm a lot
better I've been.

Speaker 1 (01:57:21):
You were claiming you were nine and one in the
I miscounted.

Speaker 2 (01:57:23):
I miscounted.

Speaker 4 (01:57:28):
Get in the way of your records.

Speaker 2 (01:57:30):
Well, I could have told you I was not a one.

Speaker 4 (01:57:31):
You never would one would have checked, No one would
have ever.

Speaker 2 (01:57:34):
Would have known, no way know how All right, let's
get right at it. I'm gonna go to the Big
West Championship, where I think I'm gonna lay the points
with Boise State. Let me lay the three and a half.
I don't think you and f Is gonna be able
to catch him. I disagree with our buddy Todd ferban
On that I'm gonna take Army plus the four against Tulane,

(01:57:54):
who I mean, all due respect to Tulane, a real
good football team. I think Armies gonna catch up on this,
So I'll take the four. Just go to the Big
the Big twelve championship. You know, I gotta take Iowa
State plus the two and a half against Arizona State.
Give me Texas laying the two and a half against Georgia.

Speaker 1 (01:58:14):
You were shocked about that, Chris.

Speaker 4 (01:58:16):
I was shocked. I was shocked by that number.

Speaker 2 (01:58:19):
I'm gonna take Oregon laying the three and a half
against Penn State and give me Clemson plus the two
and a half.

Speaker 1 (01:58:29):
Okay, so if Clemson does this against SMU, is SMU
still in. No, they're done. They're done, so you can
you can forget about them. I don't think they'll get
it while you have them in No.

Speaker 4 (01:58:46):
I just they're in that mix of teams.

Speaker 2 (01:58:48):
And I want to give Thursday football love the Lions
minus three and a half against the Packers. So there
you have my picks. Do with the midge of police
no longer strictly for entertainment purposes only.

Speaker 4 (01:58:57):
I sent you all the NFL numbers.

Speaker 2 (01:59:00):
I got all this week in front of me. I
got all the numbers.

Speaker 1 (01:59:02):
Why don't you pick in any NFL games?

Speaker 2 (01:59:04):
Well, there's Sunday. I mean, I like my Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (01:59:06):
They should you have a show between now and Sunday
or is this I got Friday?

Speaker 2 (01:59:10):
I got a show Friday.

Speaker 1 (01:59:11):
Okay, that's what it is. You're holding it all off
until your Friday show.

Speaker 4 (01:59:14):
That's fine.

Speaker 1 (01:59:15):
Just keep keep it away from the people on the
Sunday night show. Wow, we're here supporting you all the time.
Way listen, everyone that listens every Sunday night. Arnie doesn't
have his NFL picks. He'll do that on Friday when
you're filling in with.

Speaker 2 (01:59:29):
Mike Harmon.

Speaker 1 (01:59:30):
All right, so do it on Friday, not in this
normal Sunday slot where we sit here and listen to
these every single week.

Speaker 2 (01:59:36):
I'll put them on my Twitter to you though they're terrible.

Speaker 1 (01:59:39):
You can't read your picckswriting is terrible.

Speaker 2 (01:59:42):
My handwriting is great, and people compliment me on my penmanship.

Speaker 4 (01:59:47):
Dolphins are a six and a half point favorite.

Speaker 2 (01:59:49):
Love the Doph Jets, love of Miambi. They should win
by three touchdowns easily. Three touchdowns, yeah, twenty one point one.

Speaker 1 (01:59:58):
A twenty one point win. For No, you're not picking them.
You're waiting for your Friday night show to pick him.
I'm just going to make sure now these people on
Sunday Night. Our people support you, and you're like, no, no,
you don't get my picks.

Speaker 4 (02:00:13):
You got to wait until Friday night.

Speaker 1 (02:00:14):
All right, have a good time on Friday An We'll
see you next Sunday Night.

Speaker 4 (02:00:17):
Guys, Thanks to all the texts.

Speaker 1 (02:00:19):
I wanted to get them all on the tweets throughout
the show, but already had too many takes to get to.
And we'll be back next Sunday Night from Mary Patrick
and Artie and Steve on Blank Big Bennis next on Fox.
