Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Are you ready to witness?
NFL fans Welcome to the largest tailgate party in the nation.
Let's go. Fox Sports Radio's Countdown to Kickoff, presented by
Fat MGM, the King of sports book. We're setting you

(00:23):
up with the information you need to watch your team win.
Fit three is the eight game. We're here to break
it all job. This is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff,
presented by bet MGF. No, we're live from your tail game.
Here's Brian no h Year NFL Better and Jeff Schwartz

(00:45):
at sports handicapper from crack Winds dot com. Bill crack
crack on Burger. Oh, what's going on everybody? Good morning,
Week eight. We have arrived, baby, and we've got ball
going on right now in London. The Jaguars ahead of
the Broncos, seventh and nothing. Russell Wilson's already thrown a pick.

(01:08):
He's already thrown a pick. You got that right away,
your guy, Jeff Schwartz, you love some Russell Wilson over there.
I'm doing some high knees in my in my my
room to get ready for the action today for three
hours of radio. Um yeah, I love Russell Wilson. You
I love best is when athletes like tell us how
much how hard they work. No, no way that any

(01:31):
other athlete works as hard as they do. They're the
hardest working athlete of all the hard working athletes. It's
really good too when you stink till everyone know you
work really hard at sucking. So Russell Wilson, buddy, good
for you, man, I'm glad you worked out. On a
plane ride over to London. Sorry, man, far up about
that goal. I don't work prayk. I'll tell you I
heard that sound during the week and the first person

(01:53):
I thought of was Jeff Schwartz just doing a monstrous
eye roll with a Russ detailing how how dedicated he
is and how hard he's working out. And look, man,
we've said it before. Russ is a guy who tries
too hard, and you're seeing it on the football field.
He's always been that guy that tries too hard to
be funny and clever and all that stuff off of

(02:14):
the football field, but you're seeing it on the football
field now. The interception he threw, it's like, bro, he's
not open, Like, don't try to throw it deep. Just
take the check. Down live to fight another day. But
he's trying too hard on the football field now to crack. Hey,
good morning guys. Uh, you know this was one of
the start right away here with the gambling aspect. One
of the biggest moves of the week was Denver here. Uh,

(02:37):
this game opened four, quickly went down to two this
morning went down to one. One of the most highly
respected bookmakers here in this town tweeted out every sharp
guy I know on Denver, but the public still remains
on Jacksonville. So uh. Interesting, big move here a little
bit moved to the over earlier in the week, but

(03:00):
some people thinking that under here, but doesn't right now
have the scoreboard doesn't show that. Now crack if you
just have random picks, just you know, if something jumps
out on your screen or anything. We have new audio here,
check this out right, Yeah, so that cracks. Gotta pick

(03:21):
for us right now, you know, right? Good, good, nice,
We're ready to roll now. Here is that sound from
earlier in the week. This is Russell Wilson detailing his
his workouts in midflight. Check this out. I don't really
get jet leg too often, you know, I don't. I
don't really you know, I've traveled enough to to get
you know, kind of get my system down. But yeah,
for me, I was on the plane. It was eight

(03:43):
hours flight here. The first two hours I was watching
the film, getting watching all the cutups and everything else.
And then for the next four hours I was doing
treatment on the plane. I was walking up and down
the aisles. Everybody was knocked out. I was doing high
knees and working, working on my legs and everything else,
you know, make sure I'm ready to rock. So that
was good. And in the last two hours of the
last hour of that I watched I fell asleep for

(04:04):
one hour and I watched the film the rest. So
I felt it felt good to go. Once we got back, Wow,
it couldn't have landed worse. It really couldn't have to
say those things that you could speak to this, Jeff,
if that's your teammate, what do you think of Russell
Wilson saying those things? Okay, so, I mean whatever, you
want to be a hard, oh work guy. The problem is, Okay,

(04:25):
here's the issue. This is the real issue. I know
it's funny to make fun of him, and and he
absolutely deserves every making fun of it. He's gonna get
the The issue is that it's not working, right, Like,
the reason you're on this team is to help us
win football games, because that's the only that's fun in
the NFL. Nothing else is fun. Like it stinks to lose, Okay,
Like the entire building is depressed when you lose the

(04:47):
maintenance staff, the kitchen, like the training room. Everyone everyone's
depressed when you lose, right, because then it rubs all
the way down. Right, You're there to win football games,
and they pay you all this any and your job
is to win football games. Nobody cares how you prepare
if you don't win football games, right, Like, that's the problem.

(05:08):
It's not that he doesn't look plenty of players. James
Harrison is famous for spending a million dollars a year
on his body. No one is no one saying Russell
Wilson can't go on the airplane and do what he
wants to do to get ready to play. But when
you do those things and you stick on Sunday's it
makes it worse, right, it makes it it looks like
you're a phony when you do that stuff. Right, when
you when you tell people how hard you work out.

(05:29):
I always had the philosophy. It was my job to
get my body ready to play, and that's my job. Like,
I don't need to brag about doing my job. Do
you guys go tell people all I did my throwers
a radio on Sunday, whole buddy, I want some add
a voice. No, because your job right, our job is
to prepare our bodies to put out. One hype video
of my entire career of being like working out is

(05:50):
when I was hurt. I kind of feel sad that
I ever did this because I'm like I look back
like I make fun of all these guys for doing it.
But like one video I was coming back from rehab
is my ninth year, like hey look everyone, I'm healthy
and ready to play. But like otherwise, I never talked
about workouts. It was two hours a day. It's like
our job to work out. It's our job to make
to get our bodies ready. And Russell Wilson, congratulations on

(06:12):
working on the airplane. But so far in this game,
you stink your team at zero points, you're doing interception,
you took a bad sack. I want to see those improvements.
I don't want to see the things you do off
the field. Show me the on the field improvements to
make us win football games. That's the problem. Very good.
You know. I never put my workout videos anywhere, just
I do. I do. Look at you think, man, like

(06:34):
you must hit Gold's gym every day, right yeah, no, no, no, no,
I I'm trying not to put stuff on the internet
like that when I'm working out. But uh, anyway, this
this is a big story. They make fun of this
all week. There's some great funny tweets about this story
in the week. Uh, he's being terrorized. But then again,
he got all the money. Look at the contract. Some
of these quarterbacks got it and they're just not playing

(06:56):
up the bar and he's probably leading the pack. So
I just hope that there audio. I gotta find this
hype video of yours, Jeff Schwartz. I just hope there's
audio of you, you know, just like another day or
something I don't know, whatever like, and I will use
that for drops from here till eternity. You know what
I'm saying. I just hope that exists on that that

(07:18):
it's not it's not. I think it's just like a
workout video from when I was rehabbing in Detroit. That's
disappointing right there. I was hoping they're sorry. I'm sorry,
I was hoping there was a drop right there. How
about this. Both these teams, the Broncos, we've detailed their struggles,
the Jacks. These are two two and five football teams.
They're combined over eight in October. Nobody's wanted in October here,

(07:40):
So unless this is a tie, someone's winning today for
the first time in the month of October. Yeah. The
the Jacksonville team is interesting because they're kind of numbers there.
Their advanced stats are really good. I would imagine I'm curious,
Crack about your power rankings on Jacksonville or what you have.
I feel like they're better than their two and five
record um, and I think today we're kind of seeing

(08:01):
that when they when they put it together right, when
they just have like weird errors during games. It looked
destroy me that fumble last weekend down you know inside
the five, Like they have those those continued errors. But
the numbers tell us that cracked or not that bad.
They should have probably four wins, not two. They might
get their third win today though, Yeah, I mean they

(08:22):
come out and beat the cults of the culture. Wasn't
there a big win versus their charges, Like yes, dominated them,
and the charges were picked very high by a lot
of experts this year. Uh, so you figured they would
come and let me tell you, they played the Eagles
after that, and we're winning fourteen nothing in the first half,

(08:43):
the four fumbles in the rain, and I don't know
what happened to the team after that. That's all I
could say. They have just the next week with the
disgusting versus the Texans, and and uh, this team and
and a lot of the sharp guys automatically we're jumping on, Wow,
we messed up. By the way, one of my teams
also that I bet not only with you with the

(09:04):
Giants under that's a loser. I bet Jacksonville season wins
under and uh, it looks like we were we Uh
may not win that of course, but um listen, I
don't know what the way this team's heading. Your right,
they probably should have an extra win in there. Uh
that this this will be a big win for them
to head back to the right direction today if they
can beat the Denver So almost see what happens. By

(09:26):
the way, with you mentioning the Colts too, if you
think about the Broncos and the Colts. So Russell Wilson
he gets straight into Denver. It's been a disaster thus far.
Matt Ryan he goes over to the Colts. He's benched.
He's benched for Sam Ellinger. So both of those quarterbacks
would have been better off staying put. Sometimes the grass
isn't greener. You just think it is. It isn't actually greener.

(09:48):
But here's the question with those teams, with the original teams,
are they better off without those guys? Think about that
with Seattle? Are they better off with Geno Smith instead
of Russell Wilson? Are the Falcons better off with Mariota
instead of Matt Ryan? I think the Falcons are. I
just think Russell Wilson. He's a different dude in Seattle.
And I know Gino Smith has played great so far,

(10:10):
He's number three in passer rating this year. But come
playoff time, would you rather have Russell Wilson as a
Seahawk in two or are you banking on Gino Smith?
Dis continuing, well, what's funny is I think you would
take bad Russell Wilson for the draft pick, then you
would take Now the Seattle is kind of saved because
they have the Broncos draft pick. But like I would

(10:31):
tell you, like like they are, Um, like this is good.
It's fun if you're a Seahawks fan, and we'll get
to the game their games specifically today, it's a lot
of fun to watch us offense and watch the team
defense is getting better. But you're not putting yourself in
a situation if the Broncos win a little bit to
have a pick. You have two first round picks, you

(10:52):
can trade up, but like being in a native spot
to grab all his court because looks is a great story. Guys,
there's no there's no like. He is not your long
term five, ten year, fifteen year solution. Um. And so
if you're Seattle, you're kind of in a weird spot
where you're if if you were if you don't have
that Broncos pick, then you'd be screwed. You'd be outside

(11:12):
the top twelve right now, right or fifteen or something
like that. Um. But because of the Broncos pick, I
think everything's fine. UM. And Trevor Lawrence just what I'm
talking about, Thatt esque, right, this is this is what
I'm talking They have these like the Jacksonville jack Wards
have these terrible plays like this is what is he doing?
Right to this, right to the guard in front of him.

(11:34):
This is woman's play. But yeah, terrible decision. Yeah, oh
my god, that was bad. If you bet on Jacksonville,
you gotta feel terrible because you were about fourteen nothing
and you're probably covering this game and now with this
interception like the Broncos are back in things. Oh my,
this is just mean you guys watching live right now.
I'm not on the live line. The live line on

(11:56):
the game is around ten and a half, which you're
telling me them ever has the ball right now? Right? Doesn't?
That doesn't? Something doesn't sound right there. It sounds like
too high. Okay, okay, adjustin line just came up. I
got my live OD screen six and a half. I
knew something just in sound. I see all these ten
and a half six and a half the live the
new I don't know. It almost sounds a little bit like,

(12:20):
you know, is this a pick of yours in game? Here? Crack,
you're rolling with the Broncos. Bless the points? Well, you
know it's it's I would need over the seven six
and a half sounds now I'm not watching the game
game flow means a lot, So that means a lot
in these situations. It just the wise guys were on
this game. According to this sharp guy here in town.

(12:42):
Plus the four game down to solid one one and
a half across the entire screen this morning. Now you
can grab double digits. I thought it was maybe a
little too high looking at it, but now that I
see six and a half, I'll I'll pass for now.
You know, last couple of weeks, we've had some really
good moves, uh, the two weeks in a row, and literally,
I think every single week on this show we've given

(13:05):
a late breakout on something. H I sound like I'm
from the Wall Street movie, one of my favorite movies
with uh, you know, Charlie Sheen. But late breakout on
this one. But that is something that may happen throughout
the game. I'm not gonna use that thunder sound yet
on this book. Okay, I'm sure by the time we're
off air, we'll have at least one nice looking forward
to that. I just want to go back briefly to

(13:25):
what you were talking about, Jeff. It's an interesting point
because the Seahawks, they thought as an organization they were
gonna stink this year they're gonna stink and they were
gonna be in a position to take one of the
top quarterback prospects as their QB of the future. And
they're winning games, they're leading their division. So it's this
weird situation where it's like, you don't want to be
upset with your winning games, but you kind of are

(13:47):
because you're playing for the future in two so you're
kind of working against yourself. It's a weird position to
be in this season. It's a really weird position to
be in. And you have some some friends are Seahawks
fans and they're obviously loving. Like I had a buddy
who sold his tickets, Like he just put his tickets
up basically for every game, and so are you going
this weekend? And he's like, no, someone bought him. I

(14:09):
might just buy tickets. They didn't think they were gonna
be good, right, they thought they were gonna steak, And
so he saw he was like playing tickets up on
the on the secondary market. Um. Yeah, they're in a
weird spot. And I do think that they win today,
so they're gonna be even kind of in a better
spot to be in the playoffs. I mean, this is
basically like and maybe after the break we're talking about
this is like a de facto wild card playing game
in between the Giants and Seahawks, and we get it's

(14:31):
it's the honest thing of all time. It turns out,
how crazy is this? It's the only game featuring teams
with winning record, winning records. That's amazing. This is imagine
we would be saying that on week the only game
of the week, we're winning records of the Giants in Seattle.
That's hard to believe. That is amazing. Yeah, well we'll

(14:52):
get to that coming up next. We've got Bill kracken
Burger from crack wins dot com, Jeff Schwartz, the eight
year NFL veteran with us, I'm Brian No coming up.
We gotta get to the game featuring two teams that
have winning records, the only game of the weekend the
Giants and Seahawks, unreal, And then we'll look at some
of the early window games as well. Cowboys not a

(15:13):
well oiled machine offensively last week? Did they look better
against the Bears? How about the Patriots at the Jets?
Jets are still a home underdog, and all the quarterback
stuff with Mac Jones, Bailey Zappy, all that stuff. We'll
get to all that coming up. It is Fox Sports
Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by bet MGM. Welcome to

(15:38):
the biggest tailgate party in the nation. You're locked into
Fox Sports Radio's Countdown to Kickoff and it's presented by
Matt MGM, the Kig of sports boots. Once again, Here's
Brian no Ar, NFL veteran, Jeff Schwartz and sports handicapper
from crack Winds dot com Bill Crack crack on Burger.

so the Jacks are up ten to nothing. Travis e

(16:27):
t N had a forty nine yard run. E t
N already has eighty five yards rushing on nine carries.
I'll just say briefly, guys, I was dead wrong. I
thought that was a stupid pick when they made it
at the time. Maybe it was partly urban Meyer saying
we're gonna use them as a slot receiver, right, but
it was Brian. It's still a dumb pick because they

(16:49):
had James Robinson on the roster and it's spent a
first round pick on a running back. It doesn't change
that that was a silly pick. He's been good with
Doug Peterson, but that was still just like, really, anyone
back in the first round is a bad draft pick. Sorry,
don't do it. Don't draft I mention the first round never,
no point, don't ever do it. Yeah, how about this,

(17:11):
he's not a first rounder Kenneth Walker with the Seahawks,
but he has been the second round, right, Like, it's
my point. You don't need to have um, you know.
And and Damian Pierce in Houston's like about third or
fourth round pick. Um. You look at Bruce Hall, second
round pick. It was on the way to winning Offensive
Rookie the year. I gottah, man, I was, I was

(17:32):
counting on that plus right there, that was that it
was looking good until yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Damian Pierce
is now the leader for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
But yeah, Bruce Hall was killing it before he got hurt. Yeah,
but you're right though. The ultimate point is you don't

(17:53):
have to get those guys in the first round. You
can still find a lot of talent later in the draft.
Kenneth Walker was the forty one overall pick. But it
does show you how quickly NFL rosters change. I thought
at the time, you've got James Robinson, why would you
get Travis et And well, James Robinson is no longer there.
He's a Jet now, so a lot of turnover. How
about the game today though, the Giants six and one

(18:16):
and their three point underdogs on the road against the Seahawks.
The Giants have given up a ton of yards, just
not a ton of points. What are you guys thinking?
This one? Here? The only game today featuring two teams
with winning records. That is unbelievable. So I think Seattle
crushes them. Well, here's here's the reasons. I agree. I

(18:40):
agree there has to be there has to be some
regression at some point with these Giants, Right, they've won
five or six games now under a touchdown. Um, they
are twenty nine in defensive efficiency, yet allowed like eighteen
points a game. That's possible. Someone explained that to me,
they're going on the road to Seattle, which is a
really really hard place to play. Um and Seattle's offense

(19:03):
is really good. And by the way, guys, their defense
is getting better throughout this what happens every Peak Carroll season, Right,
they have a young defense and then they slowly kind
of get better throughout the season. Now there their corners
or young guys are playing there might but the Chians
don't have any wide receivers. They're out there right tackle,
they're out there tight end, they're out another offensive lineman.
They're out all the wide receivers. Like Barkley's beat up.

(19:23):
Like at some point, at some point, all has to matter,
and on the road against a team like Seattle, it all,
in my opinion, all falls apart. Like it's just it's
gonna be a thirty four seventeen win first for Seattle
and I'm finally gonna be right. Crack, We're finally gonna
be right. It's not with you. This team is the
smoke a Mirrors team in football. I mean, you think

(19:44):
Daniel Jones has what it takes to be a long
term winning quarterback, I I don't know. I mean it
looks like again, smoke a Mirrors. This game opened up. Listen,
the sharp guys sharpen up the lines. A sports book
puts up a line on people don't know this, so
the book books up the line tonight. That's right Sunday
for next week's game, seven days ahead of time. So

(20:07):
that is ironed out. Because the books take much lower
bets on Sunday night and Monday morning. That is ironed
out Sunday Monday for next week. This was one of
those lines that were ironed out right away. Seattle opened
up one and a half two point favorite quickly went
to three. I see some spring half popping up there now, Um,

(20:27):
it's mostly freeze freeze minus juice. I agree with Jeff
as usual here. This this team is just like you said,
all these games under a touchdown. I know everyone's pumped
up in New York, and you know that's my home.
You know my home areas there. But you know, my
allegiance is my bank roll, not one team, especially these
New York teams. But they're doing great this year. Giants

(20:49):
and Jets keep rolling along. This is a giant game
for the Giants. If they win this game, I may
have to change my whole opinion here. This might be
the pinion change the game for the Giants here. Yeah,
like you said, crack the Seahawks. It's ticked up a
little bit. Seahawks are now three and a half point
favorites on bed MGM. How about the total it's ticking

(21:10):
down a little bit. It's at forty four and a half.
These defenses we just talked about the Giants, they're giving
up a ton of yards. The Seahawks, especially with Kenneth Walker,
have been shooing yards up and have been scoring points
and the Seahawks defense thinks. So I'm curious about the
line ticking down in this one where I don't know
if you're just anticipating the travel the Giants going over

(21:33):
to the West coast and being lethargic offensively, I don't know,
but I'm on the o. Is there any weather in Seattle?
I mean, it's always raining there, so maybe that's a concern.
But again the wind the wet is not as bad
as the windst um, So yeah, I mean I would
I guess the over feels like too easy here almost
like this, I feel like that's always a concern over

(21:54):
It's gonna hit easily, and then you're like battling until
help you have a late second touchdown. Did that affect
you when you were you know, you know the next
when you were you were a giant? That effect well,
not only traveling traveling to one of those places like Seattle,
that's like the furthest point from New York. So no,
I mean we play I traveled from Carolina Seattle. The
hard part about playing that game is just it's loud,

(22:16):
Like it's just very loud. Um And I bring this
point up often, like there. The thing about Seattle is
that it's loud all game. Like some stames are loud
on third down, Okay, it's loud all game. And then
when you start playing poorly, and I've had some both
games I played there, I had some good starts, like
we had Adrian Peterson had like a seventies six yard

(22:38):
run to start the game. We're up fourteen nothing maybe
another time with Caroline or something like that, fourteen three.
And then when they start playing well, the noise just
like gets louder, and it's it's like I call it
an avalanche, Like it just gets louder and louder and
louder and louder, and just like the noise just rains
down you. It's not that you can't hear the snap

(22:59):
count whatever, that that's part of life, but you can't think.
You just can't think it's so loud, just ringse your head,
and that is is I think a big issue when
when you play that, I expect the crowd today there's
no there was no Husky game yesterday. The Manners are
out of the playoffs, Like the crowd's gonna be there today. Wow,
that's interesting, right, that's it's interesting to hear. That's you know,

(23:20):
all the places in the country that that you can
play that Seattle, Seattle, Seattle to mean is a lot
of stadium hearing that. But to me that's what I So,
it's just just the way the stadium is. I guess
it makes because I would think, like you know, I'm
always thinking the Eagle fans is so crazy and loud,

(23:42):
but I would think that something would well, it's a
lot of Philly too, but I think I think just
the loudest place through a whole game ends up being
um in uh in Seattle. By the way, I'm just
curious about this because you know, I was at the
game where I don't know if it's changed now, but

(24:02):
the Chiefs beat the Patriots, and that's when the Chiefs
set the record for the loudest like home atmosphere. I'm
gonna I'm gonna address this because Chiefs fans are not
gonna like this, and I'm sorry if you don't like
this Chiefs fans, Okay, But I'm just curious. My question
to you, Jeff, is does it sound different though, even
though like the deskbel level or whatever my favor the Chiefs,

(24:22):
does it feel different when you're in Seattle compared to Casey?
To me, it does. But I'll give you a couple
of things here, Okay. One when the chief when Arrowhead
first set the record, I was there, Okay. It was
like set an Arrowhead didn't went to like Seattle and Arrowheads. Okay,
we set the record. We I mean, I was there.
The Chiefs fans set the record, okay. And like the

(24:42):
fourth quarter of a blowout win, Okay, they put the
microphone like in a corner of the end zone and say,
like on this plate, cheer as loud as you can. Okay.
That to me does not measure how we we intercepted
the ball in the game, and it was on that
play if the crowd we were, we were up twenty
one points the fourth quarter. The crowd was not the

(25:03):
whole crowd was there, right like to me, like that's
what matters, right, Like Okay, Then I was there for
the anti championship game when New England stroll in there,
and it was unfazed by the noise at all, unfazed,
not one off, not one false start, not one delay
a game I did just kind of if you watch again,
the often times I was prancing line of scrimmage, getting ready,
getting set. Like to me, it's about noise from the

(25:25):
first snap to the end of the game. And to me,
I'm not saying Arrow has not loud, and certainly is.
I mean they scared the Reps two games ago against
the Raiders like that they certainly there's loud there. But
to me that those records like I don't fully by
like you need you don't need to do to measure
this guy's gain us Listen to me, Okay, you need

(25:46):
to go. It needs to be third eleven and you
need to stand at midfield in a one score game
and put your mind and put your measure device there
and tell me how loud it is on third and
eleven at the balls at midfield or what or the
line going in? Come out and measure then and then
tell me who the loudest place is. One of my
guys just sent me a stat here. Seahawks fans a

(26:08):
Limonfield have twice claimed the Guinness World Record for loudest
crowd roar at an outdoor stadium. Wow. And what's up
with d Ford the offside penalty that negated the the
interception right there? Back to that you just want to like,
I'm just saying, it's crazy that you're talking about the
loudness not affecting the Patriots offense. It's it's crazy how

(26:30):
it worked out where you know, all right, we're gonna
hear some loud noises mixed with some information with our
one and only Mr Isaac Lowenkron with us, but mostly
loud noises. Good morning, fellas, And I'd like to start
by saying, you're welcome America. I'm watching the Denver Broncos,

(26:50):
so you don't have to Indeed, you're welcome America. They
trailed the Jacksonville Jaguars and Wembley Stadium in London ten
to nothing with three minutes and twenty seven's left to play.
In the second quarter, Jacksonville scoring first on a twenty
two yard touchdown pass from Trevor Lawrence to Evan Ingram.
They would add a thirty seven yard field goal by
Riley Patterson. Denver, with no first downs over its first

(27:14):
three possessions, they add to three and outs, sandwiching a
Russell Wilson interception by Jacksonville's Tyson Campbell. Le Broncos up
to this point, get this, already eight penalties for sixty
one yards. However, on Denver's fourth possession, they're actually moving
the ball. Yeah, They've already driven sixty nine yards down

(27:37):
to the ten yard line and they're just running it
in for a touchdown on a Jerry Judy jet sweep.
Say that five times fast. So after a horrible first quarter,
the Broncos are actually on the board. They trails Jacksonville
ten to six with conversion pending with two minutes and
forty four seconds left to play in the first half
at Wembley Stadium in London. Roots get out of here anyway.

(28:03):
In Game two of the World Series on Saturday night,
the Houston Astros defeated the Philadelphia Phillies five to two,
tying the series at one win apiece. This morning, Sports
Business Journal reported that the Big Twelve Conference has reached
a new six year media rights agreement with Fox and ESPN,
where at the total of two point to eight billion
dollars in average of three hundred and eighty million dollars

(28:25):
a year. Indeed, in college football, on Saturday night, fourth
rank Michigan defeated Michigan State to seven, but Michigan head
coach Jim Harbaugh said that two of his players were
attacked by a group of Michigan State players in the
tunnel after the game. The Detroit News captured video of
one of the Michigan players being attacked a short time ago.

(28:46):
This morning, Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker tweeted, quote,
while emotions were very high, there is no excuse for
behavior that puts our team or our opponents at risk.
We will take swift and appropriate acts and unquote and finally,
back to the NFL. The Broncos indeed made their extra points,
so with two forty four left in the first half,
it's Jacksonville ten and the Broncos seven. Back to you, fellas,

(29:11):
Thank you Isaac. It's Fox Sports Radio's countdown to kickoff.
Presented by bet MGM. I'm just thinking, how long is
the high knees thing gonna last? I mean, that's gonna
have real staying power. With Russell Wilson making that comment,
they're gonna be jokes about that for a long long time.
We wanna dive into this right now though. Follow the money,

(29:33):
real good money. Alright, we're following the money with Jason Scott,
bet MGM, VP of Trading, joining us here on countdown
to kick off. Good morning, Jason, Um. You know these
London games, I'm just curious with the Broncos trailing ten seven?
Have these gotten a decent amount of money? Has there
been a decent handle with these three London games in
the early start time? Yeah, they probably will hold more

(29:58):
than any other guy in the A slight uh the
second flight and then the Sunday night game will them?
But the um really saw a lot of people love
to start a pilot off one way or the other.
Let's get all the way to Sunday night because the
Packers are are ten and a half point underdogs at
the moment um. Is this a is this a Sharps

(30:19):
first squares play where you're seeing like pro money on
the Packers. There's kind of everyone just staying away from
this one. I think I think the ladder we haven't
we haven't played a lot of money right now, and
it's for the it's the Packers to come and I
think that will get bigger. We tend to stay with
the double double figure spreads ninety nine times out of
a hundred. We need that, we need the dog to

(30:39):
come home. I think it'll be the same game and
signing the Stealer's Eagles game. Well, you guys, Jason and
every other sports book in America and abroad are really
celebrating this year because he's double digit dogs, just haven't
you know? Listen, I think we had like four of
them lose out right. So again today we have Philadelphia

(30:59):
right now getting some late money. My screen is all
coming in red um line moving to a solid eleven
all over Philadelphia. So Philadelphia Dallas at ten point favorite.
You have Buffalo tonight at ten, ten and a half
point favorite. I'm sure that if one of those dogs
go down because of the money line parlays and stuff,

(31:20):
that'll be a good day for the bookmakers everywhere. And uh,
what do you out of those three? Dallas, Chicago Philadelphia, Pittsburgh,
and I guess the Buffalo Green Bay tonight. By the
time the game kicks, that will have the most action.
But as of right now, are you seeing big action
on any of those three games? You said that the
one you're not seeing that much Dallas h and Philadelphia?

(31:42):
Any big action on those games? On Philadelphia, as you said,
because it's the one we send the most money for
us so far to tell us, look, the line has
mosically I think you started. I have no not on
Hobbit weeks gone. But again there's a little bit of
shop acts and we haven't seen anything mete of money

(32:04):
for the Cowboys. Hey Jason at bet MGM, who are
you guys rooting for it today? Meaning the money coming
in on the other side? So who are you pulling
for in weekend? Al most almost one pot of game
is right all the money both money one and spreads
for the writers. Um so the Saints the Saints plus

(32:26):
one and a half we're winning out what will will
certainly be the result that almost interested in this first
way Niners rams that numbers kind of stayed within within
you to one someone pick them U. Where do you
see a lot of the action on that one. Yeah, Look,
the money came early in the week for San Francisco. Uh,
then Devo was out of sort of came back from

(32:49):
one and a half to to one. It was picking
in a couple of places there. Briefly right now, we
want the Rams, and I suspect it will be that way.
The pointing one obviously the really good record against the
Rams and they are very popular team every week, so
I've got a feeling that, if anything, the money will
come from the fort in US. Jason, the surprised me

(33:10):
there with that Las Vegas. So you're saying that the
Raiders have the most action out of all the bets
this week. Actually surprised me that that would happen. New
Orleans kind of improving on their offense a little bit.
And uh, but but Vegas gets all the money. That's
that's that's very surprising to me. That has to surprise
you guys, and away team getting the money from maybe

(33:31):
Sharps and squares. It sounds like, yeah, I mean, we're
we're about the money and the spreads, but it's not
a huge handle. One. What are we looking at tomorrow?
And I Jason anything Cleveland Cincinnati Battle of Ohio uh,
looking at any any kind of big Moore. I see

(33:51):
the under was hit a little bit, but besides that,
the side looks like almost the same, maybe a little
since the action. Uh what do you think they're Yeah, yeah,
I was a little of surprise that Chike's getting injured
didn't bring it unto the t number three and and
it moved until of half. But him coming out actually
my not a scary good difference, And hasn't We haven't
seen a lot of money land. I can't say getting

(34:13):
bigger than three, I haven't even got I thought it
might get the town of Half, but we'll save. By
the way, Jason, I read a story and it had
a quote featuring you in it, and I'm like, I
know this guy. The story is that there was a
better that that wager. This is like way back in
April or something. He wagered at bet MGM. He put

(34:35):
fifty dollars on the Astros facing the Phillies in the
World Series and he could win a hundred and twenty
five thousand dollars on that fifty dollar bet if the
Astros end up winning the World Series. And he says,
I'm not gonna hedge and so and your quote was,
I think we're a little bit more worried about mattress
mac over here, like he could win millions of dollars

(34:58):
at the astros. But so I thought that was fun.
What do you think about the guy in not hedging?
I think you got a hedge in this spot right Yeah,
look to be treated easy right now. But one of
the ridiculous pross Philadelphia. He can uh to win the series.
You can see it hedging buddy, if somewhere else. But
best of all are the way if you win the

(35:20):
text man is gonna get the shares. And yeah, absolutely
as well. Hey Jason, great stuff man, thanks for popping
on with us. Will be enjoy Week eight. Thank you.
Theory is Jason Scott bet MGM, v P of Trading
bet MGM. Like flew that guy out for Game one.
I thought that was awesome. You know, it's like you

(35:42):
can hit us for a hundred camera, we'll send you
out to Game one of the World Series. It's pretty
good advertising. Yeah, yeah, all right. Coming up next, we've
got Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veneran. We've got Bill
Crackenburger sports handy kapper from crack wins Dot com I

I like that from Jeff. Very nice. Coming up next, Teamwork.
The teamwork portion of the show, we put three picks
together and we call it a parlay platter. We'll get

this out are late letter, Hey placed first t D

If your bet loses, you'll receive up to twenty five
dollars back in free bets. Okay, the parlay bladder. We
each have one pick, we slice them together, hope to

(38:13):
hit all three and cash our parlay. We'll start with you,
crack what are you looking at today? I Am gonna
go with hopefully they can. Hopefully they continue this trend
of lots of points here Detroit Miami. I'm gonna look
at the first half though, rather than the full game.
First half over six and a half. I love it.
A lot of people are in the lines today, I
just cause you they kind of stay. So just just

(38:35):
like if you're on the Lions, say like kind of
a popular pick, like go watch your last two games.
I don't know if there are any good this is
a we're very much in the is Dan Campbell getting
fired today? Watch? I think if in this game now
they might score a bunch of points to crack anyways,
but there'll be one in seven I think like one
in seven. And the Lions are supposed to be a

(38:56):
team that's good outside of their quarterback. It's not happening
right now. So you can't fire the coach after the
hard knock. I need to win, winning his most important thing.
Um I will go with the San Francisco four the
Irons day minus one. Um Hey, they own the Rams right.
They have won seven or last eight, including seven straight
in the regular season. The one they lost last year

(39:16):
was in the Platts by three. And the reason why
is they control the line of screamas against the Rams
right now, I get it. I don't know if armstads
playing and say I don't think he is kim laws out,
but boasts back to Oiam is back in the lineup.
And there's a confidence that that Jimmy g plays with
against the Rams. And I think that continues this week.
And the Rams guys are not playing that good football
right now, and I think that the ability of the

(39:37):
Niners to come back. And you're buying low here right
they just got brought up by the Chiefs. They stink.
Give me the Niners playing the de facto home game
and so far Alton Niners minus the one here. Yeah,
I like that better. It sounds like I'm just following
your lead here, Jeff. I hate this position that I'm
in today, but I like the Niners. Also, I'm not
gonna pick the same game, so I'm gonna go back

(39:58):
to the Seahawks. That's the the one I like a lot.
I just think the Giants have done it largely with
smoking mirrors to this point, and on the road, that
atmosphere the Seahawks offense, Kenneth Walker, I expect him to
run the ball down the Giants throats. I just think
the Seahawks minus three and a half, I don't love law.

(40:20):
Do you buy down this situation crack to three? Yeah,
I went I would. I'm not There's there's a lot
of threes out there, but that's the three and a
half of MGM. Yeah, I would buy down. Yeah, I'd
rather buy it down to three if forced to, I
still would go with three and a half for a
pick for the parlay platter. Yes, I'll do that. By
the way, what do you guys think the odds are
of Dan Campbell getting fired during the season. You think

(40:40):
it's pretty light if they lose today, if they lose today, yes, yeah, wow,
interesting stuff. Okay, our two coming up, we'll look at
some of the late window games. One that's really interesting.

f s R to listen live. Yes week eight, feel
it got some good matchups today, only two teams on
a by the Chiefs and the Chargers. Hey, new users,
download the bet MGM app today and use code countdown
for a special offer. That's code countdown in the bet
mgm app Jacksonville ahead of Denver in London. It's ten

(41:25):
to seven at halftime. And it's a little bit like
what you were talking about, Jeff. It's just the little
things to shoot yourself in the foot. You had the Jags,
they were in field goal range to be about a
sixty yarder. On third down, Trevor Lawrence threw the ball
away at least that's what he thought he was doing.
Intentional grounding, you're backed up, you have to punt, you're
out of field goal range. It's those little things. They

(41:47):
just have a knack for doing the little things wrong. Um. Yes,
and that's why their official numbers are good, but their
end results are not. Is because the officials don't measure
kind of internal groundings, right, they don't measure you know,
weird plays that happened. Like of course, they measure turnovers.
That's kind of a different number though. So like, yes,

(42:07):
they're they're close, and they have to figure out how
to not make these critical mistakes like the intentional grounding
that that you know that takes points off the board.
They're they're close, but it's hard to kind of sometimes
wager on the close stuff. Yeah, this game just just
to give you guys a live halftime line. This game's
about pick them, uh the second half, so this uh

(42:28):
pick them in twenty. The total, I find it pick
him as a pick him is the second half line
or that second half line, the second half lines pick
them just that's just the second and third quarters combined
there of course maybe over time, but uh, I find
that line kind of interesting considering the opening line. I'm
referring to the total though, so the the this total

(42:50):
one up and a lot of the sharp guys were
I'm not on it, but a lot of the sharp
guys are on the over. So if you're looking to
bet the over, now would be the best time when
you can go over twenty, which make to make your
halftime uh, with a halftime total first half second half
would be thirty seven points compared to the forty one.
It was pre pre flop pregames. So just a little
nugget there. Do you like the over twenty and I

(43:13):
would lead, I would lead to over more than under. Yeah, yeah,
I think I would lean to the over. And listen,
you're you're depending on these two uh offenses too, I mean,
do we does a lean get a sound effect? Yeah, yeah,
you can do that. Then you can do that. I
would throw a peanut bet maybe on the over. You

(43:35):
guys like that word? What is that? What's a peanut
bet again? Five dollars nickel? Yeah, maybe a thousand bucks. Yeah,
just a little crumbs scrumbet, crumb beet for you. How
about this. We're looking at the late afternoon window, the
Niners at the Rams. It's kind of crazy to look
at their records. The Niners three and four, the Rams

(43:57):
three and three. That doesn't even look right. That looks
like a typo. But that's where we're at right now.
Rams are a home underdog there plus one point at
bet MGM no Deebo Samuel in this one right with
the hamstring injury. But you have Christian McCaffrey. He didn't
he was in limited action last week, but you might
see more of CMC today. I would expect them to

(44:19):
unlock him a lot more. You still have Brandon I
you you still have George Kittle, who has been really
good the last couple of weeks. And like Jeff said
in the last segment, there's just something about these regular
season matchups where the Rams, I don't know, they can't
get it done. They can't run the ball consistently. I
don't expect that to change today. And for some reason,
Jimmy Garoppolo thinks that he's better than he actually is

(44:40):
against the Rams. It's just strange. Um. Yeah, and and
I it's that confidence again, like when he's kind of
in confident rhythm. They just look much better, right, It's
very obvious to see. The Christian McCaffrey is interesting to
be Like, I I don't think it makes down like
a Super Bowl contender. If it makes Jimmy Garoppolo play better, great,

(45:01):
like that's awesome. But like to me, it doesn't make
them like this all of a sudden, that's great super
Bowl company. They still need to be complete patent there
a friend of mine get a shot, Dan Rubinstein. Um,
he talks about a pick a ball offense, right, a
pickup ball offense and offense that just kind of pick
a ball like dinks and dunks down in the field.
The Niners are a pickup ball offense. Right. The the

(45:21):
Chiefs go down to five plays and score a touchdown.
Niners go twelve players. You can kick a field goal
they need If McCaffrey helps with the explosive play part
of their offense. It's a huge win. If he doesn't,
it's a waste of time because you have seventh around
draft picks that can get it done out the backfield,
unique guys that make you more explosive on offense. So again,
if that helps, great, If it doesn't make him more

(45:44):
exposive on Debo's not playing today, right or that right,
debos out, So maybe he fills that role where Debo
would be in the slot and they find ways great,
that's a great addition, But crack. If it doesn't, it
doesn't really change very much. I think of their prospects
this year. Yeah, this is a match up of supposed
to be two of the best NFC teams. Uh, you
know before the year, the scheduler put a good, good,

(46:07):
good good game here for us, we would think, but
this is a big game, by the way, for san Fran.
Both of you guys like the san Fran and then
I probably don't blame you there. Uh this is listen,
You're you're looking at either uh struggling to three and
five or that this this is uh, this should be
a really good game for san Fran. I mean, I'm

(46:28):
not betting the game. But if I was, I would
I would agree with you guys. They're coming off two
blowout losses. Uh. People think all the Rams are fresh
off of bye. I I just I tend to agree.
And you know what, I'm gonna give out a play here,
which just um I was gonna wait till later, but
since we're talking about the game, yeah, here we go. Um. So,

(46:48):
so I'm normally an under guy when it comes to
prop yards, but this week I'm gonna surprise you with
the superstar here. Uh, Cooper Cup over yards. I like
his over ninety two and a half. It's real simple.
Cup really accounts for uh thirty five percent of the

(47:09):
RAMS targets, and you know, I know it it kind
of Uh I hate betting over imagine I'm giving over
ninety two and a half. My god, it doesn't sound right.
But uh, going back literally I don't like trends. But
going back to their last four games over this, Uh,
you know that he's four and oh versus team on
the overs. Literally twenty one of his last twenty eight

(47:31):
games he has went over on his props. So this
isn't over for me, guys over on Cup yardage. So
let's name me. Hopefully he's healthy and uh, you know,
he doesn't get banged around out there a lot. I
think he'll be a big target for them today. That's
one thing I like doing is is taking the over
for a good slot receiver against a good pass rush
because a lot of times you go high, yeah, screens

(47:54):
and things like that. That well, the Niners do very well.
By the waygons is they kind of neutralized Aaron Donald.
That's a that's a bad way to say it because
you never really do that. And like, but they have
a plane for him right like they again because they
play him so much and the first run game, Like
that's a big part of mine is I think play
this team very well. Plus, look, it's clear I think

(48:14):
that some of these older quarterbacks their arms are just
kind of going. It's fine, guys getting older. Stafford is
not the same thrower anymore. Matt Ryan is not the
same thrower anymore. Tom Brady, I think he's an okay thrower.
There's a lot of problems on that team. But like
the older guys, it happens with eight they're just not
throwing the ball in the same level they did in

(48:35):
the previous years. Yeah, it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown
to Kickoff presented by bet MGM a couple other late
afternoon games. So the Tennessee Titans at the Houston Texans,
it'll be the debut of Malik Willis. No Ryan Tannehill
at quarterback for the Titans today. What's interesting also about
this matchup Tennessee very quietly four and two. There are

(48:58):
four and two football team leading their vision looking to
obviously improve the five and two today. And then you also,
I'll combine two games for you for a reason here
the Colts are hosting Washington today. So you have the
debut of two different quarterbacks. You have Malik Willis with
the Titans. In a separate game, you have Sam Ellinger

(49:18):
with the Colts. So between those two qbs, who are
you expecting more from in their debut? Is that Malik
Willis with the Titans? Is it sam Ellinger with the Colts? Here? Um? Well,
I think Malik Willis is not gonna be asked to
do very much. Is Derrick Henry tortures the Houston Texans team?
He rushes for was it two yards? Like three straight games?

(49:38):
He tortures this team. He tortures them. So to me,
and Malik Willison in the best spot where it's gonna
be run the ball, play action pass, run the ball,
play action pass the Colts against the Washington team that
really stops and running very well. And the Colts offense
line is not as good right now, and so Eldre
will be asked to do more in my opinion, and
I think and also too, I think Washing will score

(49:58):
in Indianapolis, so kind of we'll turn this into more
of a sam Elinger game, um, and that I think
makes it easier to be Malik Willis in this spot.
I'm not saying Malik will play better, but he'll be
asked to do less in this game that will sam
Elinger well. These two games are like stinker games that
literally games that probably let maybe the least watch the

(50:20):
games of the day, I would say, But the Tennessee
line was kind of interesting here. Guys opened up four
Tennessee minus four on the road in Houston. Quickly was
bent down to one or even pick them this morning,
a little buy back on Tennessee. A lot of the
groups will do that around the key numbers. They'll they'll
they'll try to middle games. Very hard thing to do,
by the way, I don't recommend that for anybody. You

(50:42):
can really eat up your bankroll trying the middle and
scalp games. What do you middle like? What? How many
points would you middle? Like? What's well? That NFL game
around three obviously is the best game. You would do
three and a half and two and a half, like
you just do the one three and a half and
two and a half. Lifetime is about an even winner,
so you you win both ways. It's about even lifetime,

(51:05):
So you picked the one that's actually about even. I'd
rather lay, like pick minus thirty and plus three and
a half or something like that. Uh, Like the Seattle
game opened up, literally picked minus thirty five and now
you can get plus three and a half on the
on the giants. Uh. I that that's a fantastic opportunity.
But but again, I don't want to recommend middling and

(51:26):
scalping unless you really know, unless you have a predictive
model that's successful. But I would just test it out
or maybe even back tested against the old lines. Uh.
It's it's an interesting thing to do. And actually, let
me just be blunt about something. Bill Crackenburger built up
his bank roll in the mid nineties middling and scalping
games before there was the internet, when you have many

(51:47):
different bookmakers using different lines, no one knew where the
lines were going. Uh, and you and if you were
good and did your own due diligence and kept on it. Boy,
I built up you know, guys, just to let you know,
I don't talk like this. I started this with a
thousand dollars. I was working three jobs literally back in
the early nineties, and and uh, I literally met one

(52:09):
of the sharpest guys in the world. He helped me.
I had a thousand dollars in the bank by my
wife and I were dating at the time, and I
was trying to save money a hundred dollars a week
like everyone else. And I literally had like a thousand bucks.
I sent five hundred bucks to two different sports books,
started building up a bank roll and literally middling and scalping.
My partner and I, uh we we've we've made seven

(52:32):
figures lifetime. So it's been an interesting ride here to
last thirty years. I love that you went third person
while describing how you built It's okay, So for those
who don't understand what the middle is very quickly, it's
kind of like inside Baseball here. But you basically have
have two wagers, okay, and if you land in the
middle of both thems, you take kind of both sides

(52:53):
this Bill set like you would take Seattle money line
today okay and Giants plus three and a half. Both
those can hit and you win both wagers. That's kind
of the way you look at it. So, and you
can do it around a number a total. As Bill said,
I've never heard the money line and the points. That's
an interesting way to to to do it. Um. So
that's a that's a middle and it's very hard to

(53:14):
do sometimes if you're good at opening lines that grab,
especially to start a season, like you can if you
get in a line in May and something happens and
by the game kicks off in September you get seven points.
That's a quarterback change or trade. That's where to do it.
It's really hard to do it if you don't catch
a number like right at the beginning of the week. Yeah,
that's right, that's right. Do you do you do a
lot of in game middling if you're gonna do it, crack,

(53:37):
I don't. I don't at all. That's it. It requires
so much work it's so tedious. I do know that.
It's uh, it's It's not a bad thing to do
is to bet like that. And again, like Jeff said,
you have to know which way the lines are gonna move,
So you have to have a good predictive model or
an algorithm or something you're following. Uh And and Jeff's
right those a matter of fact, I bet it's funny.

(53:58):
I just went in one of my apps, I bet may.
I bet a lot of look aheadlines. So every week
I'll go into look to see what I have for
that week. Perfect example, today I have Buffalo minus four
and a half against Green Bay um for But however,
I'm not middling that. I'm very happy with my position
at minus four and a half. There obviously the lines

(54:20):
ten and a half or even eleven up there, um.
But sometimes you get them wrong too. Sometimes you'll you'll
get them You'll get them wrong. I've had games where
the games didn't move. It's a very hard thing to
do ahead of time. But as far as you're what
you're saying, live wagering, boy, I'll tell you, the only
time I like like the live wager is when I'm
in the stadium. Does that make any sense. And I
don't go to a lot of games, but being in

(54:41):
the stadium watching the games live current time, when you're
betting live, sometimes you know you only want to bet
throwing commercials. If you are home, I there's a second,
there's like a seven to ten second AM frequency radio delay.
There's another ten second TV delay, so you're betting like
twenty se comes behind live actual time. So I know

(55:03):
a lot of sharp guys they like go on the
games themselves because especially preseason games, they're getting live lines
against uh maybe even a little bit of a slow
the turning it around on the books and maybe beating
the delay that they have there. I think with what
Jeff's talking about is with middle NK. I'll give you
an example. Let's just use the game going on right

(55:24):
now Jacksonville and Denver. Say you went with Jacksonville minus
three and Jacksonville is up like twenty one to nothing.
That would be an opportunity to middle where in game
you you just bet on the Broncos plus whatever it
is plus twenty and a half or something. So if
you hit in the middle of Jack's minus three Broncos
plus twenty and a half, you went on both sides.

(55:44):
So that's what I mean. Where if you have a
bet before the game and you can middle during the game,
I think those are good opportunities. I agree with you.
I just I don't. I don't know if I count
like my live wagering as like something like out Now
I'll just tell you though, but just to talk on
that a little bit further. But what if Denver comes

(56:06):
out and with the lead and you're stuck with a
Jacksonville bet? I just, uh, it's the reason why I
I don't do it. But I understand what you know,
what a lot of people do. But it's a square move.
A lot of people will come out and say, oh, man, Philadelphia,
they're great first half team. Let's jump right on that
game and I'll get off during the game sometimes or halftime. Well,

(56:29):
that doesn't the line is said. It's baked in that
there are a good first half team. So the line
being eleven today, first half line being six and a
half is even a couple of sevens popping up there. Now,
it's just you just gotta put your mind in the
sharp side, guys, and not what the squares are thinking.
So well, that's what you're saying, Like the middling. The

(56:49):
whole thought is to win on both ends. So if
you're you know, you start off horrible, it could be
the double whammy. It could be the exact opposite. You
don't want to do that, absolutely don't want to be that. Okay,
we're often running here. It's Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran.
We've got Bill Krackenburger from crack quins dot com. I'm
Brian No. Let me remind you though, real quick. Earn

(57:10):
a fifty dollar bonus by signing into bed MGM and
clicking on refer a friend to invite a friend, and
in just a few simple steps, both you and your
friend will receive a fifty dollar bonus bet MGM, the
King of sports books, the King of Parlay's. Okay, coming
up next, we got a lot to do over here,
Lots going on. We gotta get to some of the trades.
Been some interesting moves leading up to the trade deadline,

(57:33):
some rumors of what could happen before Tuesday's deadline. We'll
get to that. Right around the corner, it is Fox
Sports Radio's Countdown to Kickoff, presented by bet MGM. Welcome
to the Biggest tailgate party in the nation. You're locked
into Fox Sports Radio's Countdown to Kickoff and it's presented
by Matt MGM, the kick of sports spots once again.

(57:58):
Here's Brian no h Year NFL Vetteran Jeff Schwartz at
sports handicapper from crack Winds dot com Bill Crack Crackam
Burger Ah. Yes, just about an hour and thirty five
minutes until kickoff in the early window today, it is
Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by bet MGM.

(58:20):
Every time you make a wager at bet MGM, you
earn bet MGM rewards points that can be redeemed for
things like free bets and risk free tokens. They can
also be converted to to MGM rewards points that could
be used towards dining shows and hotel rooms at over
twenty MGM resorts. Broncos on top. Broncos with a fourteen
to ten lead in London against Jacksonville. Melvin Gordon with

(58:44):
the one yard touchdown rush you had Russell Whistle looked
really good on the drive. A couple of nice completions
to get him down there in scoring territory. Yes, drives
every now and then he looks like he's a competent quarterback. Um,
the problem is they're just not enough. So maybe this
is the way kidning the London game. The high knees
are proving everyone right that fourteen Broncos points through like

(59:06):
forty minutes is the way to go. Here we go,
Broncos getting it done. Yea we change, good deal, Yeah,
little Lee change. And if you went with the second
half over crack like you were leaning, you got a
good start. You have, you have a good start. Yeah, yeah,
you have a mathematical edge to the live line now
is around thirty eight, so you're you're a little bit
uh looks like right now heading for a twenty one

(59:27):
according to the live line. So you go very nice. Okay,
So some of the Week eight storylines trades. Right the
trade deadline is Tuesday, We've already seen a couple of
trades go down. Darius Tony the wide receiver traded from
the Giants to Kansas City. And I'm curious how this
shakes out because my initial reaction was, Okay, it's another

(59:48):
weapon for Patrick Mahomes. Slight upgrade going from Daniel Jones
to Mahomes for Cadarius Tony. But how does this shake
out in terms of targets who's on the field. The
first guy I thought of was sky More, who was
the second round pick of the Chiefs. But the Chiefs
made this move. They've got to Darius Tony, who's a talent, right.

(01:00:09):
It just didn't do a whole lot in in New York.
We'll see what he does in Kansas City. I think
this is a move for next year. UM. I don't
know how Tony is gonna just be implemented in the offense. UM.
I guess it's a bye week, so maybe there's a
little but they're not practicing this week. UM, so I
think that they might find situational spots that this leads

(01:00:29):
me to kind of, you know, believe that they're still
looking for help against man coverage because they're getting a
lot of that this season. They needs some burners and
fast guys that can run to Andy Reid is always
liked interchangeable, interchangeable parts, right like mvs and Juji are
kind of their own players. You're not really gonna be
able to swap McCole, Hardman and for those guys, right,
because that's not what they do. Now you have mcole,
Harman and sky More and Tony kind of three of

(01:00:52):
the same similar players. I think that's what and plus two,
I think the Chiefs are not gonna end up paying
McCole Hardman for a long term contract. They're not end
up paying and vs next off season for I already
have Jujo, I think for three year deal. So this's
just say, Okay, we're gonna we have an extra third
round pick. We're gonna give it to the Giants and
we'll see how Tony is really for next season. Jeff,

(01:01:13):
I just picked up something here because I'm the sports
bedder guy. I'm the guy who looks at numbers, analytics
and games and numbers where they open, where they are
indicators in the market. You just said something I had
no idea. So you're telling me when a team has
a bye week seven days straight, they don't practice, not anymore.
We used to practice, but most they might. They might

(01:01:34):
go out there Monday for like a little jog too.
But you're required down the CBA to have I think Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
Sunday off like four days off in a row, and
most teams are going to go out there on Tuesday
and Wednesday and practice not in weekly. What are those
guys doing for the weekend? Are they hanging out watching
the games to run vacation buddy? We're Turks and Tikos
and they actually will go away with their families for

(01:01:57):
the bye week. Yeah, yeah, I've been to when when
in the new CB an that's actually No. Two cbas ago,
they kind of the coaches kind of stopped practicing during
bye week because we couldn't be in paths really, And
so when I was with Andy Reid, we came in
on Monday, said hello, watch film and then I was
in Turks and Kikos Tuesday morning, and then I was

(01:02:19):
there until Saturday. And then with the Giants, like Coffin
was the same thing. I went to Atlantis with my
son um oh, and that was I flew I'm a
Giants baseball fan and flew to San Francisco for a
Giants World Series game during bye week. So yeah, like
pat Patrick Mahomes is like on a beach somewhere, like
there's that we just disappeared for a week. It's also

(01:02:40):
it's a good I can't. I can't do that during football,
we don't get bye weeks. I mean you crap. To
be fair, you could go do your job like in
the Bahamas if you wanted to, like you could sit
on the beach. By the way, I have, I have
a sick, sick connection for us guys. It's unbelievable at
Bajam are over there, Uh when we're ready to go?

(01:03:01):
Which is which is the Atlantis is competition now over
there on Paradise Island and Nasau. So that's someplace I
love to go, but I just can't go during football season.
WOWS is interesting stuff. But the way it did show
you mentioned Mahomes like smiling on a beach somewhere right now.
He posted a gift of the rock smiling when the

(01:03:22):
trade went through for Cadarius Tony. And the person that
thought made me think of was Aaron Rodgers. Just compare
Mahomes and what they've done in terms of the wide
receivers for Mahomes to throw to compared to what the
Packers haven't done with who Aaron Rodgers has to throw to.
Know Alan Lazard today, We'll get to that game a
little bit later. Sunday Night football. No Alan Lazard for

(01:03:45):
Aaron Rodgers tonight. And I'm not telling you that Juju
and m vs are all world receivers, but Mahomes has
more to work with than Aaron Rodgers does, there's no
doubt about that. And adding Darius Tony to the mix,
that's a former first round pick, Like, what are they
gonna do that for Aaron Rodgers? They act like Aaron
Rodgers is seven, He's got all the time in the world.

(01:04:07):
I don't get Green Bay at all. You know, they're
a team that has a building philosophy and they try
to build the best player available, right like that's in
in the draft. They're like, kay, Walker, you're the best
player available. We're taking you right, Like that's the way
they look at They don't look at as appeasing Rogers
and the Chiefs. The Chiefs end up just buying low, right.
They bought low on MBS, they bought low on Juju.

(01:04:29):
They drafted Sky more like they went after they draft
a pass rusher, like they went after targeted positions. The
Packers almost draft like they believe their windows closed, right,
and they're just trying to build up talent, where the
Chiefs are deciding, hey, we're gonna use our picks for
things we need pass rusher, secondary help, wide receiver, offensive line,
a linebacker last couple of years and it's paid off

(01:04:50):
on defense or defense is so much better because they're
younger and obviously offensively, we saw that the most important
about the the Niners game the Chiefs win the Niners game,
wasn't the final score. It was the first game all
season where the wide receivers were the reason why the
offense was good and they hadn't had that all season long.
And if that's gonna happen, watch out because if their
wide receiver is gonna be good now and become part

(01:05:12):
of that offense in a way, they haven't been good
luck stopping them very often. Yeah, Yeah, that's where we're
at with that. It's uh, it's just it's amazing to me.
You hit on something that's so true. You look at
the Packers, They've won thirteen games each of the last
three seasons. They build talent like they've won five games
each of the last three seasons. You know what I mean?

(01:05:34):
Where you're right, they just take the best guy available
instead of we're in go for it mode. We're in
f them picks mode. Allowed the Rams or the Chiefs,
we're in go for it mode. You look at the Eagles,
they made a trade to get a pass rusher and
Robert Quinn he could help them. He could be a
von Miller type guy like the Rams. The Packers will

(01:05:54):
never do that, and it tries to me crazy that
they don't. It's like, guys, you are on the husp
of winning it all and you're acting like you've got
to just build up your cupboard and it's bear right,
It's crazy. This is again like the difference in in
the sort of roster building, right, like you either sort

(01:06:14):
of going forward or not. And some teams like the Eagles,
and they're going for, but they're going for in a
smart way. They built up the draft picks. They still
have picks next year like they have plenty. They they
have kind of rebuild on the flight, like they didn't
get rid of Lane Johnson, Jason Kelsey and Brandon Graham
or flex your cocks like they're there. Their main cogged
stayed and they got rid of Earth's I guess at

(01:06:35):
some point where they have Dallas Carter like they just
have drafted very smart. They built their team up very
well and so um they're they're kind of the way
to do it. And I think the Chiefs for a
little bit had some kind of bad draft if you look,
and they figured out sort of the way to do
it and the way the Eagles did it, which is like, look,
all right, Yreek kill, you're too much money, Give me
four draft picks and we'll we'll make our team better. Hey,

(01:06:57):
do you guys think that Aaron Rodgers knows he's a
double digit dog tonight and he should use that as
a motivational factor. But I don't know. I don't really
know what's going on with Aaron Rodgers and his teammates
right now. So he's kind of throwing some bad things
out there in the media. They're really not jelling, the
jelling together. So but I mean, did you ever think

(01:07:18):
that this can happen where Green Bay would be a
double digit underdog in the Aaron Rodgers era? A just yeah,
it's crazy, no doubt about that. But you speak of jelling, crack,
We're gonna gell right now with our guy Isaac Lowan
Kron with the latest what's going on here Denver Broncos
offense fellas apparently jelling word is it was held up
in customs and then explained the start to this game.

(01:07:40):
But it has arrived at London's Wembley Stadium. After the
Broncos fell behind the Jacksonville Jaguars tend to nothing. Would
you believe Broncos now of a fourteen to ten lead
with two oh six left to play in the third quarter.
Jaguars just punted to the Broncos. So they've got it
again from their twenty five yard line. Denver opened the
game with Q three and outs and a Russell Wilson interception,

(01:08:02):
but then in the second quarter they drove seventy five yards,
getting into the end zone on a six yard pop
pass from Wilson to Jerry Judy. Then moments ago, Denver
drove nine nine yards with the go ahead touchdown. They
turned hand off Gordon when he left side, Gordon into
the end zone, standing and Denver with the longest touchdown
drive of the season, and they had taken a thirteen

(01:08:25):
to ten ley with five oh seven left in the
third quarters. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. There's still
a quarter left. Russell anyway, Dave Logan with a call
on k o A, so Wilson's credit. He was five
out of five for eighty eight yards during that touchdown drive. Again,
the Broncos lead the Jaguars fourteen to ten, two oh
six left in the third quarter at London's Wembley Stadium.

(01:08:47):
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller is officially inactive
for today's game in New Orleans because of a hamstring injury.
College football Saturday Night, fourth rank Michigan defeated Michigan State
to seven. But the story was what happened after the
game in the stadium tunnel. Here was Michigan head coach
Jim Harbaugh. Two of our players were assaulted. It was

(01:09:10):
we saw the CDs, saw the one video. It's to
ten on one. It's pretty pretty pretty um, pretty bad,
pretty opening chat. I mean, one of our players has
a nasal injury, could be could be a broken nose,
and just very unfortunately. This morning, Michigan State head coach
Mel Tucker tweeted, quote, while emotions were very high, there

(01:09:33):
is no excuse for behavior that puts our team or
our opponents at risk. We will take swift and appropriate action. Unquote.
That was back to you, Thank you, Isaac Lowin Krown.
It is Fox Sports Radio's Countdown to Kickoff, presented by
bet MGM. Let's dive into this prop it up player

(01:09:55):
plays yes the prop bets. Let's dive on here, crack,
let's start with you any props you have your eye on?
You know? I, of course I was back east for
forty eight hours this week. Literally flew left town, came
back literally like forty three hours, came back. Just a
bet A couple of things, um that I cannot bet

(01:10:17):
here in Vegas. I had to go to the East
coast for so I'm gonna give you some of the
stronger ones though I only made I don't know forty
I think I made forty eight different bets. To be
honest with you, I literally have in my bag if
I showed you the ticket, the ticket, So you guys
know I've done that before. Let's let's go over and
over here. DeAndre Hopkins over seventy three and a half

(01:10:38):
receiving yards, Okay, Cardinals are kind of moving him around,
playing him in slot more, using him more creatively than
past years. So I look for an over out of
him today like that. Um, that's uh. Cardinals are so
much better when he's gonna wind up. But this is
a workey game. I liked by the Cardinals plus four
like they're actually really good as a road underdog, and

(01:10:59):
the Vikings like what are the Vikings five and one? Like, yeah,
there's like a Arizona's out some players unfortunately like an
offensive line. But um, so I was gonna take Zach
Wilson like under received under everything today and it's not
on on the website right now, so um maybe crack
if you have a number on that on that be

(01:11:20):
my guest. But uh, I mean Zach Wilson to me, Um,
I think it's gonna have just a really tough day
um against the Patriots. So well different darct shure, I
got justin fields under one sixty point five passing yards.
He had a good game plan last weekend after ten days, right,
that came out with a good points to England. Dallases
defense is really good and they're gonna harass justin fields.

(01:11:40):
They're gonna pressure justin fields. There's an opportunity though to
get like some cheap yards I think, which might hurt
this prop um. But he's gonna have a really long day.
They're gonna dominate the Bears offensive line. It's gonna be
a long day for the Bears. But that Jack Wilson
props shows between now and kickoff um hammered everybody. Zack
Wilson's throwing for nothing. It's the Patriots. It just vanished

(01:12:01):
on you. That's messed up. I think that they know
everyone's gonna hit the under and their like the liability
on this is probably too much. We're not gonna play.
We're gonna take it off our board. I'm gonna look
at the Colts game. So Sam Ellinger making his first start.
His rushing problem is that twenty five and a half
smart I he's just gonna tuck it and run a
handful of times. I think he gets twenty six yards.

(01:12:25):
You're with me on that. You're not gonna believe this.
Someone gave me this earlier in the week two that
I respect. We're gonna have all three of us liking
a proper That's very interesting, Brian, he's gonna didn't even
know about this. I think the reason why one the
reason why they get rid of Matt Ryan. Well, obviously
he was hurt, but like he can't move in the pot.
He can't help the offensive line at all because he

(01:12:46):
can't move. And when your arms short of is dying
and you can't move, you become a guy that can't
help you win, right an Ellinger has a live arm
and he can move now. Is that gonna win him
the game? I don't know, but gives a better chance
than it does with Matt Ryant quarterback. Absolutely, I agree

(01:13:06):
with this prop. Guys, I I'm looking at it again.
I'm sorry to take your air here. We we absolutely
agree with you on this prop. Fantastic prop, Ryan, Thank you.
I appreciate that crack. Very nice. Hey, you know in
a couple of hours though, yeah, right, think you gotta
text us. This is looking terrible. He isn't rushed one
time in the first half or whatever. Yea, No, hopefully

(01:13:28):
it hits. I think it will. I really do against Washington.
He's good and it's his first start. He's never thrown
in NFL past before, so they're gonna be a couple
of times where his first read isn't there and he's
a little slow to the second. He's just gonna tuck
it and run. He's gonna do that a handful of
times today, no doubt about it. Hey. Every Thursday, be
sure to check out our Countdown to Kickoff, presented by

(01:13:50):
Ben MGM original podcast. It features yours truly, Brian no,
Jared Smith and Bill Crackenburger. We talked college ball, we
talk NFL. We give you our takes on all the
key lines and get you set for the weekend in bedding.
That's every Thursday. Just search Fox Sports Radio wherever you
get your podcasts. All right, We've got Bill Crackenburger from

(01:14:11):
crack wins dot com. We've got Jeff Schwartz, eight year
NFL Federal I'm Brian now coming up next. What's that? Jeff? Now?
I like it? What was that was that? Was that
just some some audible noise from good I like that.
I look forward to that each time. Now coming up next,

(01:14:33):
Crack is honing in on one specific team. Why is
he honing in on that one specific team? We will
find out next. It is Fox Sports Radio's Countdown to Kickoff,
presented by bed MGM smells like ball. Kickoffs are coming
to and we're leading you up to that. This is

(01:14:56):
Fox Sports Radio's Countdown to Kickoff, presented by MGM. That
gig of sportspots once again, here's Brian No h year
NFL better and Jeff Short and sports handicapper from crack
wins dot com. Bill crack crack amburger. Just about an

(01:15:16):
hour and ten minutes until kickoff. In the early windows
seven games one pm Eastern time, it's Fox Sports Radios
Countdown to Kickoff, presented by bet MGM. Play a one
game parlay with at least four legs on any pro
football game at bet mgm. If all legs hit except
for one, you'll get your steak back in free bets

(01:15:37):
up to twenty five dollars. So we've hit a little
bit of a lull in this London game. Yeah, trading
punts over here as quarterbacks rush close to first downs,
but not four first downs, and so it still is
fourteen to ten Broncos lead to Jacks. Here. We only
send our best to London, guys. Only the best go

(01:15:59):
get to play over ease. Um. I mean, it's just yeah,
I keep harping on this, like Jacksonville has the pieces
to be better and they just aren't yet. Like when
it finally clicks for them, they're gonna be pretty good.
It's just it hasn't like they and they can come
down now and score, and I would trust the Broncos
like zero percent to come down and score and and
and kind of tie the game up. But Um, it's

(01:16:20):
right there for the taking, like they're they're kind of
the Broncos are letting them stay in this game. I
think it's it might be a good spot to take.
I don't know what the what the numbers now like
a live kind of a live number four um for
Jocksonville at the moment, because the live line is Broncos
or minus three and a half. Okay, that makes sense,

(01:16:41):
Jacksonville plus one fifty five on the money line, there's
the money line. You're gonna take the plunge over there.
Maybe I don't know. I feel like you can get
about plus one seventy five. I'm looking plus one seventy
So yeah, so maybe I don't know. Well, well I'm
not I'm not like that big into this game. It's
it's okay if I keep on this one, guys, but

(01:17:01):
let's just say this real fast. Is uh. Look, urban
Meyer was a disaster for the Jags, but it works
both ways. The Jags are still at two in five
football team. They're they're gonna be two in six if
they dropped this game. So the Jags were bad for
urban Meyer. Also, it worked both ways. It was just
urban Meyer stinks and that's why Jacksonville is bad. I'm
not saying he was any good. He was a disaster.

(01:17:24):
I'm just saying it was a two way street. It
wasn't just Urban Meyer was bad, therefore Jacksonville was bad.
They're still bad with the Super Bowl winning head coach
and Doug Peterson right now. It's gonna take a little
bit of time for them to find their way. It is.
And but last year they were bad for like the
wrong reasons exactly, and this year they're bad for the

(01:17:44):
right reasons whatever that means. But they're not. Is your
coach not a distraction? Like that's the thing, right if
you have a professional football coach who was used to play,
and do you think about Urban it's so oddest, Like
he's a Hall of Fame college football coach, Like there
is no question about it. Whenever the ballot comes out,
I don't know what he will be the first guy

(01:18:06):
on whatever the year that is check that mark first
guy in for the for the college Football Hall of Fame.
But it just didn't work out last year in Jacksonville. Yeah,
I have no explanation for how bad that. You guys,
I don't like these games. I'm sorry. I don't know
who's home. I don't know who's a way. I don't know.
I don't know who's in the stands rooting, Like I
really don't like, is there is there a fifty fifty

(01:18:29):
Denver Jacksonville make up in this stance? Probably not, But like,
I just don't I don't even get these games. Why
do they play these games over there? I'm sorry, I
don't know. I should know that, right? Just making making money?
I mean I need the game. I need the game
on when it's regular, you heard Jason. It doesn't promote
any more extra gambling. I need the game at a

(01:18:52):
home location where not here. We need this right now. Though,
Let's dive into this feature Cities same game par legs.
All right, crack, you've pieced together a same game parlay
for us. Your you got your eye on the Los
Angeles Rams. So what are you looking at? The RAMS game?

(01:19:13):
The RAMS game? Yeah? So, uh one game parlay here,
which is they call it? Here? We're gonna go over
in the RAMS game over the total points and we're
gonna pick some. We're gonna pick Cooper Cup Holly. Hopefully
this is like that correlated uh kind of a thing
here for me Cooper cup eight plus passing yards and
also for an any time score. So again a little

(01:19:36):
peanut bed here, fifty bucks gets back two oh five
so plus three ten here. Hopefully the game goes over
cup scores and gets a lot of yards. Yeah, hey, man,
Like we said, I like those slot receivers against the
team with a good pass rush, and Cooper Cups a
fantastic slot receivers, so I could see him going over

(01:19:56):
what he has to get to eighty one receiving yards.
Big game for the Ram, a big game for both teams,
with big game for San France two here. I'm not
saying the Rams are gonna win. I'm just saying I
like between both if he gets a touchdown or two,
a lot of points. Yeah alright. Coming up next, this
team is the most popular team of the day, we'll

(01:20:16):
explain that Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk
lineup in the nation. Catch all of our shows at
Fox sports Radio dot com and within the I Heart
Radio app search f s R to listen live. Ah, Yes,
welcome in Week eight baby. Week eight Here on countdown

(01:20:37):
to kick off only about an hour until the early
start times at one o'clock PM Eastern window. We have
seven games kicking off here and just a little less
than an hour. We're gonna hit on numerous games here.
So this stunned me. Crack you picked up on this
too where we were talking at Jason Scott from bet MGM,

(01:20:58):
he said, the most popular bet team of the day
is the Raiders silver and black with the most love
over here the Saints. What a two point home underdog?
That that's that's amazing to me right around there. It's
fluctuating from a point and a half to two points.
But the Saints, uh, I think a live dog is
just the injuries, right? You have no Michael Thomas, no

(01:21:21):
Jarvis Landry, and you still have Andy Dalton behind center,
which okay, I guess he's throwing picks six is left
and right against Arizona last night. He's still the starter. Whatever.
Aren't the Raiders without Darren Waller today too? They feels
like it feels like they have some injuries of the
to deal with. The Raider is just really are a
good team. I mean, I'm not sure New Orleans is
that great. Um, But I wouldn't put my money on

(01:21:44):
the Raiders in almost any situation, especially on the road. Um.
For a team like New Orleans, who who has some
good piece on defense, who offensively at times looks kind
of competent. Now with the taste of mill kind of
gives them some more options to, you know, offensively, to
do some different things. So, um, you know I would
not put any money on the Raiders in this spot
at all. Um, Brian, are bet now back to square?

(01:22:06):
And I have the tiebreaker? And yeah, I got the tiebreaker.
Carolina versus the Saints, that's our season long bed. I
thought the Saints would have more wins. I thought that
was a freaking layup compared to the Panthers. But here
they are two and five apiece. You know, Mike Evans
screwed you last weekend. Drop pass for those who missed it, Brian,

(01:22:27):
I have a season long wager for who will have
the most wins between the Panthers and Saints. I thought
the Panthers would be a playoff team. Actually might still
be a playoff. Both might be because of what's happening
with uh the NFC South. But try trying to buy
you out the wager last weekend. You wouldn't do it.
I would not do it, you know, I will not
allow it. I jokingly said, I'll let you out for

(01:22:47):
four what is it now? Because we're tired. I had
to lead. I should be able to get some money
back on this one. I don't know. We'll see how
it chakes out. We still have a game in New
Orleans later in the season, and we'll see how it goes.
But I'm stunned, I really am. I don't know how
you feel about the Saints, crack. Are you surprised that
this is a two in five football team? I thought

(01:23:07):
the Saints were gonna be a better team. I actually
bet over on season wins, which I'm a big dog
to get there. But uh yet, I was listening to
a podcast. I listened to a couple of podcasts or
in the week. Literally I watched no music, watch no TV,
UH entertaining wise, but I listened to a few different
podcasts of some people I respect, and one of them
said that New Orleans, UH might be the one of

(01:23:31):
the big improvements improving teams on offense this this past
five weeks. They said so, and I respect him too,
So we'll see what's gonna happen. But I, uh boy,
I tell you, when I think of offense, I definitely
don't think of the Saints. So uh, it's amazing that
that that Vegas has. I like when I hear I
want to be on the bookmaker's side. I say it

(01:23:51):
every week. I'm a broken record. I like to hear
that if I'm if I'm on the Saints today, which
I'm not on either side, but I like to be
against the public. And he said, what did he say?
Eight percent of the money line coming in on Vegas
at bet MGM. And by the way, that's all those
big sports books. But that's a good uh you know,

(01:24:12):
that's like the Mendoza line there. God like like literally going, um.
It shocks me that that that's the way to go,
is uh for people that are bet in Vegas. That's
the biggest bets at the MGM. There's must be something
I don't know about eighty eight percent of the public
on the money line at bet MGM on Las Vegas.

(01:24:33):
Give me maybe it's give me the Saints. Yeah, it's
the last thing you saw. I guess that's the rationale
because the Raiders are two and four. The Raiders are
two and four team against the two and five team,
and you saw the Raiders finally win last week. Against
the Texans and the Saints. They were terrible on Thursday night. Everyone,

(01:24:54):
every Texans, Yeah, exactly, So I don't know why they'd
be getting extra love. You hit on it though, real fast.
The NFC South, Good lord, I was there on Thursday
to watch Tom Brady and the Bucks lose again against Baltimore,
and they are Tampa is three and five and they're
right in the hunt. They're the favorite to still win

(01:25:16):
that division. A cesspool over there, three and five and
the oh my god, it just doesn't sound right that
it is a It is a cesspool and ugly cess
pool over there, perfect no doubt. All right, let's go
to a couple of other games here. How about this, uh, Dallas,
they're hosting the Bears here. We saw the Bears surprisingly

(01:25:37):
show some offense against the Patriots on Monday night, and
you've got Dallas. They're a ten point favorite. You saw
that Dallas offense get Dak Prescott back last week and
not do a whole lot well against a horrible Detroit
Lions defense. So I'm really curious to see if the
the Dallas offense gets more on track this week. You know,

(01:25:57):
the Dallas offense looked like it was a play with
Cooper rush for a little bit of the time. Like
they kind of had that that conservative se game plan
with Dak Prescott. I folcus the game went on, they
opened up a little bit more and kind of allowed
Dak to do more Dak things. Uh. No, Zeke Elliott
today officially in active, So Pollard will be the back
if you want to load up on some I took Pollard.
I think it's over like fifteen receiving yards. I just

(01:26:19):
one screen and that they're in right, Like that's that's all.
That's all it is. Um, So you know, there's there's
a lot to like about this Cowboys team. I think
I'm always I'm always too high in the Cowboys, and
I vowed this year to not be and it's kind
of bit me because they've been really good. But uh,
their defense, man, their defense is their team. Their defense
is so good. They rushed the past her so well.
I'm so impressed. So Dad doesn't have to do a

(01:26:41):
lot for them to win today. Now cover the nine
nine and a half? Is that nine and a half? Now?
It's pretty pretty much ten ten, But that's a lot
of points the NFL. That's a lot of points for
the NFL for a low total. I kind of think
that this is crazy. I know that they're five and two.
I haven't looked superb at quarterback with either core back
in legally, and you know, the Bears just put up

(01:27:02):
thirty thirty three points I think against against the Patriots,
So I don't know, it just seems like too many
points here. To be honest with you, I won't be
laying double digits on anything in the NFL, by the way,
after just just from it's kind of like a football perspective,
so that the Bears came out in offense that um,
you know teams run with a quarterback like Justin Fields, right,

(01:27:24):
it was kind of learning the game. And that was
very impressive that ten days off and that there was
in that football game, right, and they just came out
and said, look, we're going to run a simplified offense.
We're gonna give Justin Fields a couple of reads, and
we're gonna use his legs and his arm and concert
It's like what it's like what the Giants are doing?
Like it's they came out and and and redefine their
game plan. Now Dallas has time to see that game plan, right,

(01:27:46):
and they have time to figure it out now. And
Bill Belichick, you know they weren't ready for that game plan.
But I give the Bears coaching staff credit of just admitting, like, hey, guys,
let's do what works for Justin fields. Let's design offense
for him because the often that we want to run,
he's not doing a good job of that. And I
give the Bears coaching staff credit for figuring that out

(01:28:07):
and making those changes. Touchdown Jacksonville, Yeah, but the rain
in London, it is Jacksonville home game. Man, he might
have been down, his knee wasn't down. His knee wasn't down.
It's like pouring rain in London right now. Is Yeah,
it's pouring rain right now. My favorite part of the

(01:28:29):
London games, by the way, are everyone wears a random
jersey of their favorite team. I was wondering, No, they
always do that. They always like where like if you're Niners,
fins of showing your Niners jersey. Um, So, Russell Wilson
appears will have four minutes to get in the field
goal range. I'm sure nothing where it will happen at all,
because only normal things happen when Russell. That's a touchdown.

(01:28:50):
He's in, he's not down. So seventeen fourteen penny extra
point right now for Jacksonville. Try to wear those jerseys
at the Lincoln Field'll you see what happens to you? Yeah,
that's different. Different. We handle a sports world where the
Phillies and Eagles are both good? Is that a thing
we can do? And Sixers are balancing it out? The

(01:29:11):
Sixers are like so Phillies Eagles manner Hope, Phillies. I
don't know if we can live together in the sports
world where Philly is on top of the sports I'm
rooting from in the World Series, how about you, guys,
I'm rooting for him just because of the guy that
won't hedge. So this story, we talked about it earlier
a little bit. This guy had a fifty dollar bet

(01:29:33):
back in April that it would be the Phillies and
the Astros in the World Series. It was a little
bit of a bet GM bet MGM glitch where the
odds were greater than they should have been. So he
can make a hundred and twenty five thousand dollars if
the Astros win the World Series. He's like, I'm not hedging,
not doing it. It's like dude, I would hedge a
little bit. I'm not a hedge guy, but that feels

(01:29:53):
like a cold like make a couple of couple of
grand maybe like you're supposed to hedge in that situation.
You're supposed to hedge with you the money means so
much to you, it should for a fifty better. But
I'm not a hedge guy either. On a on a
non non wagering topic of this in this series, did
you guys see the story, uh that one of the
Astros players used to use the bat that was grandfather

(01:30:13):
in Okay, how can you change how can't you disqualify
a bat? But yet yet let one player used it
for the last twelve seasons anyways, So for those who
missed it, I don't know what Astro's player. He borrowed
a bat from Albert Pooholes in Game one. Okay, that
bat is no longer allowed to be used in baseball,

(01:30:35):
but if you have been using the bat prior to
the grandfather, the bat in until until the end of time.
So Albert Pooljols has been using a bat that's not
I don't know why it's not allowed. I don't I
don't really care to be honest, it's not corked, it's
not like illegal per se, but like it's not allowed
to be used anymore. And yet Albert Pool has been
using a grandfather bat for the last twelve seasons, and

(01:30:56):
they's such a stupid story for many reasons. Now makes
poolholes seven plus home runs look a little like wait
a minute, like this, I don't think that. I don't
think the bat change anything, but the fact is, like
you just admitted that a Hall of Fame player who
is celebrated, who everyone likes, has been using a bat

(01:31:17):
that has not been allowing your sport for twelve seasons now,
And how can that be if it's let's use the
equivalent for pictures, the sticky stuff is not allowed. Could
Justin Ferlander be grandfathered in to use the sticky stuff
from ten years ago and nobody else can. It's just stupid.
It makes no sense. Number one producer Ryan just said,

(01:31:39):
Martin mal Donado, Martin Lado, and he used the legal
batting game one and nothing. I mean the Phillies one obviously,
but like it's just a it's a it's a baseball
story perfectly. By the way, as we're talking, Russell wils
just completely a fift yard pass um, the Brocks already
the field goal range um. It's just the most baseball
story ever. It really like you take this great momentum

(01:32:01):
of Game one, fools down five nothing, they come back,
they win the game. The weird your elbow over the
ball situation, and then you you ruin it by admitting
that a bat being used in the game Game one
was not legal. But if it was grandfathered in, why
was this one illegal? You know what I mean? Like
because he because only the players that were using it

(01:32:23):
were allowed to use posts could use the bat, but
no one else could use the bat. It makes fools
look bad, It makes baseball look bad, it makes the
World Series looks bad. There's no win. There's no win that.
It's just I did do some reacharch on why the
bat was illegal, Like what about it? I never see
like was it not like the right weight. I'm just

(01:32:44):
so confused on why a bat can be illegal that's
not corked special when it's something with the maple bats,
so it's too too strong of a wood. It's like
too good of a bat. It's like you get a
little bit more, you know, like exit v low that
type of yeah, a little more right there. Yeah, business bad,

(01:33:06):
it's bad. What a sport? Yeah? Yet, speaking of wood, guys,
I wouldn't be laying the wood on a lot of
these big favorites in the NFL. I've been saying it
all and uh, you know it's it's just uh like
I said. I think I said it on our podcast
on Thursday, Um, Brian, four out of the six I

(01:33:27):
think four or six of these nfls double digit dogs
have one out right this year as we know. And
I have to throw you a little boom after last
week's Tampa Bay Uh double digit boss out right? Man?
So who is it today? To me? I feel like
it's Pittsburgh winning in Philly. No one's talking about this game.
This is Mike Tomins special, right. We're like, they just

(01:33:48):
overcome all the odds and just win a game as
as our underdog on the road. Wow, if that happens,
I don't think it is though. But I'm like I'm
looking at the games and thinking, like, I just don't
think the Packers doing in Buffalo. I don't. The Bears
don't either. So it feels like that the best option
is that is that Steelers game, right, Well, how about
this of the three double digit dogs, right, Like, which

(01:34:09):
one do you like most? Is it the Bears there Dallas?
Is it the Steelers like you're talking about Jeff at
the Eagles, or is it the Packers at the Bills?
Do you go Bears, Steelers or Packers? I'm on the
when you're adjusted for opponent, I think you might go
Bears because I think the Cowboys offense can be a

(01:34:30):
little bit slower than the other ones. Um. But when
you look at like the history of things, Mike Tomlins
really good in the spot as a coach, Like for
whatever reason, they just back against the wall, play well. Um,
but again, how much do you put that tread into
this current team? That's kind of tough to tell, right,
a different type of team. You know when he was
good as underdog was was with Big Ben Well Big

(01:34:51):
Bens in the linement. Right now the Packers one Like
to me again, like you keep thinking, Okay, this is
the game Aaron Rodgers will breaking out of the funk,
But I feel like this is just, uh the team,
Like that's what the team is, right, There's no like
breaking out of this. This is what the Packers offense
is now in Buffalo. It's just gonna steam roll them
in in in Ralfholson Stadium tonight. The thing I worry

(01:35:14):
about is that the Eagles they've been great with takeaways.
They've they've intercepted nine passes and Kenny Pickett is handing
out interceptions like candy. So that's what I hate about
Pittsburgh in this matchup. Yeah, they have been By the way,
this news is came out, the Bills called the States
about Alvin Kamara saying said no, um, the Bills Bills,

(01:35:39):
And there was a little bit of talk about, you know,
the Bills for Christian McCaffrey as well. So they're in
the market for for back. I mean, they're in the
same mode. I think a lot of teams are. You know,
as we talked about earlier, like team building laws, that
they kind of have the capitol and go get themselves
the Super Bowl this year, knowing that the Chiefs, you know,
they're gonna Chiefs are gonna be back. I mean, they
might not be Super Bowl champion this year, but they're

(01:35:59):
gonna be there for a long time. And this is
the best year to catch the Chiefs this right now,
and Buffalo is going going for it. Yeah. Also Brandon Cooks,
the Texans wide receiver, he's on the trade block. He
could help out a contender, no doubt about that. I
love I love this new NFL where like these young
gms just trade. You never used to be trades in
the season, never, And now these guys are. They're young,

(01:36:20):
they're aggressive, they're going for it. They're not they're not
attached to picks of the way they used to be.
I love man. I just love that there they go
for it and they use their draft capital and they
just make their team better. Yeah, they do. They're aggressive.
Except for the Packers. The league is like the anti
Packers with their aggressiveness. There's no doubt. Hey, new users,

Bet on yo eleven sucker bet the degenerate special bet
right there. But you got every now and they're just
you know, a literal nickel, a little five dollars. Yo.
You gotta do it one time. Go to the crabs table.
We probably lose, but it feels good to do. I'm

(01:37:29):
Brian Now. Coming up next a couple other games on
our radar. Quarterback issues with one team and also it
could be the best thing for this team or the
absolute worst thing that's on the way. It's Fox Sports
Radio's Countdown to Kickoff presented by Bet MGM. Welcome to

(01:37:49):
the biggest tailgate party in the nation. You're locked into
Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff and it's presented by

Brian no h Year, NFL veteran, Jeff Schwartz and sports
handicapper from crack wins dot Com Bill Crack Crackamburger. It

(01:38:16):
is Fox Sports Radio's Countdown to kick Off, presented by

World's Best Thoroughbred's race for their share of thirty one
million dollars in purses and awards. Visit Breeders Cup dot
com to watch all the live action on November four

(01:38:39):
and five. Okay, so the prime time matchup. We've got
the Packers at the Buffalo Bills. Bills a healthy double
digit favorite ten and a half right now, the Bills
are favored by it bet MGM. This was Aaron Rodgers
after last Sunday's loss talking about facing the Bills. Check

(01:38:59):
this out. I'm not worried about this squad. In fact,
this might be the best thing for us this week.
You know, nobody's gonna give us a chance. Go on
to Buffalo and Sunny Night football. The chance they get
exposed shoot might be the best thing for us, or
the worst thing. It could be the worst thing for
him because Buffalo is a well oiled machine, the Packers

(01:39:22):
not exactly, and Noel and Lazard on top of that
with a struggling offense. Look, man, it's the NFL. Crazier
things have happened. It's just hard to see the Packers
looking the way they have looked, looking completely different against
Buffalo on the road tonight. I just don't know. Look,
what is the path to winning in this game? If
you're the Packers right like you you're you're dotting your

(01:39:43):
best wide receiver, you may or may not have your
all pro offensive lineman in the game, and David bak
jar Um. You're playing a Buffalo team that feels like
a juggernaut. Like the last year they were high invariants, right,
I mean when I'm when I said, I mean they
you know that game where they were really good on
offense and really bad, really good, really bad. This year

(01:40:04):
it's been pretty much the same there each game week
they're about the same. Like, what is the I'm not
saying the path to covering this game? Just a path
to winning this game? The Packers don't force a bunch
of turnovers. They're not exceptually good at one part of
their defense. Again offensively, very disjointing. Now to me, it's
getting the ball air and Jones had thirty times in
this game right, run twenty, get him in the backfield

(01:40:27):
for seven more that they gotta use him more often.
But I just don't know what like it is they
do in this game crack where they can win it.
I don't see that happening. This is such an unrewarding business.
You guys went to this Buffalo Green Bay game without
even saying anything about the then for Jacksonville game, we
just got a touchdown the second half over. It's just unrewarding, guys. Sorry, sorry, sorry,

(01:40:52):
crag my bad. Did you take the plunge? Did you
take a nickel bed on the second halfod? But I
gave it out to a nationwide audience here on a
peanut bet on the over second half, come back from
break and then Denver scores and landed twenty one second half.
I mean, uh, they all come after you on under
on an immity on Twitter when you lose a game,
you gotta have a little winner once in a while celebrated.

(01:41:15):
But yeah, tonight's game, Buffalo Green Bay, this is the
prime time game. When the uh, when the schedule maker
made this, they expected this to be a tighter game.
I could tell you that. Uh. Now, I didn't hear
that little speech from Aaron Rodgers. Uh and you deciphered
it the right way, Brian, that this could be a
bad thing for them too. So uh, listen again, even

(01:41:38):
though Buffalo off the by they had a bye last week, right, guys. Yes, yeah,
even though they coming off a bye where. Now I'm
learning that they were sitting on a beach with my tie.
I didn't realize that. Um, you know, I can't. I
can't ever like double jugese, double juge. Then nothing would
surprise me. By the way, nothing thing would surprise this

(01:42:01):
year in the NFL. If Carolina as a thirteen and
a half point underdog could beat Tampa Bay, you can
guarantee Green Bay can beat Buffalo. Yeah, no, don't think
I don't remember the number. Not a big deal. We'll
we'll pick a spot later in the year. But uh yeah,
so listen, anything can happen in these type of games.
And maybe maybe Aaron's using it as a motivational factor.

(01:42:23):
Like I asked earlier, does he know he's a double
digit underdog? And you know you both of you guys
said yes right away. So this is a interesting spot.
It should be a fun game to watch, though, I'll
tell you what, it maybe a little more, a little
more boring than people think. Uh it maybe a little
more the points. It's not really as point conducive as

(01:42:44):
you would think a Buffalo Green Bay game would be.
As we noticed this game open to forty seven and
a half down to forty seven. I'll say this though,
and this might sound crazy, because you remember when the
Bills they were healthy favorites at home against the Steelers
and they crushed the Steelers. I think it was like
thirty eight to three. It was Cabe Davis going straight

(01:43:05):
down the field for these long bombs, and I go
over on the show yardage. Are the Packers better than
the Steelers? It sounds insane to even say that out loud,
but right now, I think they're pretty even at this stage. Yeah,
I think right now, like you would almost like trust

(01:43:25):
the Steelers again, go back to the underdog thing, right,
like you kind of trust them more in the spot
where no one believes in them, then you do right
now the Packers, right like the Packers. And also like
it doesn't help the Aaron Rockers out in the media,
like doing these interviews during the week and blaming other people. Oh,
we've got a good a good grade by your quarterback coach. Congratulations,
Like congratulations on your quarterback coach giving you a good grade?

(01:43:48):
Like who cares? Did you again? Did you win the
game or not? How did you play? Okay? Like no
one when you stink. No one cares about these things, man,
No one cares. So um, there's just a lot of
bad like noise coming from there where the Pittsburgh doesn't
have that. There's no bad and they're kind of a rebuilding.
They're not the best defensive player starting a quarterback. Like,

(01:44:09):
they're in a different position than the Packers are. The
Packers supposed to be going for it right now. Yeah,
I don't forget. Now. This is the Buffalo team that
was a seven team point favorite last year versus Jacksonville
and lost out right. I think it was like nine six. Yeah,

(01:44:30):
some of those are road games, you know. That plays
a factor as well. That nine six game was on
the road. I know Jacksonville isn't exactly Seattle, it's not
like that, but still it's on the road. So the
Bills hosting this game. Even last week Tampa was on
the road against Carolina, and that does matter. So the
Bills tonight at home. I'm just like with Jeff, I

(01:44:51):
just I don't see a path to a win. I
could see a path to a backdoor cover maybe, but
I just don't see a path to a win for
the Packers. And but I do see a path to
a win. When we hear from Isaac Lowan tron that's
an easy win. Every single time I lo with the latest.
What's going on here, fellas? It is all over over there.
The Denver Broncos have defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars twenty one

(01:45:15):
to seventeen at Wembley Stadium in London. As the Broncos
rattling from a tend nothing deficit to take a fourteen
to tend lead. Jacksonville went back out in front on
a one yard touchdown run by Travis e t M
with three fifty four to play, but then the Broncos
went eighty yards. Here is Dave Logan on k o A.
They handed off Murray. Murray was second effort into the

(01:45:36):
NZ touchdaff Denver, so that would prove to be the
game winner. Here's an interesting tidbit, fellas. That was Littavious
Murray's second touchdown run in London in a five week span.
Earlier this season, he played for the Saints when they
lost to the Minnesota Vikings in London in Week four.

(01:45:59):
Today he's wearing a Broncos uniform. He's back in London
and he scores what proves to be the game winning touchdown.
So two touchdowns and countless frequent flyer miles anyway, so
that gave Denver to seventeen lead. There was still a
minute of forty three seconds left to play. Here's what
happened though, On the first play of Jacksonville's ensuing possession,

(01:46:21):
shuck and sniff Turber, Lawrence looks right, froze right, that
ball is gonna be intercepted. Balls intercepted by Kaywan Williams,
his first interception as a Denver Bronco, and it may
have very well sealed the deal here in London. It did.
So the Jaguars are now two and six and the
Broncos are three and five. Alright, fine, go ahead anyway. Elsewhere,

(01:46:51):
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller officially inactive for
their game at New Orleans due to a hamstring injury,
and finally fell as. Speaking of the Saints, Box Sports
j Glazer reported today that the Saints received a phone
call this week about running back Alvin Kamara from the
Buffalo Bills. However, Buffalo was rebuffed back to you, thanks Silo.

(01:47:17):
It is Fox Sports Radio's Countdown to Kickoff, presented by
Bett MGM let's dive into this not live yet live betting. Okay,
so we're just anticipating what could unfold when these games kickoff.
We're looking for in game betting uh spots over here.

(01:47:40):
So we'll start with you, Crack, what'd standing out to
you as a potential spot to get in on a
live game wager? You know, I look at home teams,
not at the home field advantage in the NFL. Is
anything stronger for college sports home teams much stronger. But
I look for a spot like maybe New England Jets.
Maybe New England goes out ahead and you can get

(01:48:02):
the Jets plus like nine and a half or something
like that, they're I'll look at home teams. Uh. Most
of the public looks at whoever scores, Oh my god,
especially the bigger names like a Buffalo or a Dallas
if they score first, well, you're not gonna get a
lot of people betting live on Chicago or Green Bay
maybe Green Baby. I'm not Chicago. So I look at

(01:48:22):
underdogs and live spots more than anything. Um, we talked
about middling Brian like kind of middle a wager. I
think if I have Seattle minus three right now, which
I do, and they get up big and the way
the Giants have kind of been able to finish out
with games, you get a good number on the Giants,
like above ten. Maybe I feel like that's a good spot.
The Giants have some have some some light to them, right,

(01:48:44):
some spunk at the end of games. I feel like
that's a good spot. Like seat gets up fourteen nothing
or even the third quarter the game is, you know,
twenty one point game, you can get the Giants at
a really good number. Yeah, I'm with you on that.
I think what you both they're saying. You look at
these home underdogs. Sometimes they went out right. You know,
there's sucker bets if you go with the small road

(01:49:07):
favorite at times, not every time. But all that to say,
look at the Saints. We're talking to Jason Scott. He said,
the public is all in on the Raiders. They're the
most heavily bet team right now heading into Week eate.
So if you look at the Saints, I know it's
been a grease fire. They've looked awful. Let's say the
Raiders score a quick touchdown, you're gonna get the Saints.

(01:49:28):
Plus it's plus one and a half heading into the game.
You're getta get the Saints around what plus five five
and a half somewhere around there, you might look to
take the Saints. If you want to be on the
side of the book, you'd go at the Saints anyway.
I think you can even get a better line if
the Raiders get up quickly. I keep your eye on
hood At today. That's what I would say. By the way,

(01:49:50):
I did some bat research over here. Guys, we're talking
about Maldonado in the World Series. He had a bat
from Albert Poolholes that he was not allowed to use us.
And uh, it's a crazy story where you've been grandfathered
in to use this maple bat, but other people can't
use it. Other players can't use it. It's a safety thing.

(01:50:11):
It's not like the super bat where it's aluminum splinters, well,
just jumps up. It's like it breaks a lot and
it breaks its multiple Yeah, it splinters over there. So
that's why that's why it's been outlawed for most players.
You have to be grandfathered in since. But that feels
like a much smaller story than the way it was

(01:50:33):
told to us in the World Series. Like, if you're
gonna say it like it sounds like they were using
an illegal bat and like it was an astros are
cheating like I thought it was. But just because it
gets it breaks in too many pieces, that japs on
in the neck when it breaks, like fine, just like
when you say that, hey man, this bat breaks too easily,
it's splinters too much. It's now outlawed. Instead you make
it like they're cheating. I know it. Yeah, there was

(01:50:56):
a stupid way to go about it. And it's you're
like you said, the ast rows. Anything with astros and
illegal we're often running like are they going Yeah, it's
just no, it's a safety issue apparently with that patch, right,
and Polos is off the hook too because we're thinking, hey, wait,
is Bullhols using something he shouldn't use though it's just
freaking baseball getting in its own way. You know, it

(01:51:17):
happens from time to time. Hey, I want to remind
you the Breeders Cup World Championships are coming to Icona
kinling November four and fifth. Don't miss the world's best
thoroughbreds race for their share of thirty one million dollars
in persons and awards. Visit breeders Cup dot com to
watch all the action live. November four and five. Okay,

(01:51:38):
coming up next, it's the moment of truth. Here we
make our picks. Bill Crackenburger from crack Wins, we'll have
some picks. Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran, he'll have
a pick for us as well. I'm Brian no I'll
have a pick. And uh. We also have to hone
in on one of these games with the quarterback issues,
so well, a little preview, little picks. We'll have a
whole round table. Be a just be a ball that's

(01:52:00):
on the way. It's Fox Sports Radio's Countdown to Kickoff,
presented by bet MGM. Kickoffs are coming so and we're
leading you up to them. This is Fox Sports Radio's
Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Bett MGM, that kig of
Sports Fox once again. Here's Brian No, h year NFL

(01:52:22):
better and Jeff schres and sports handicapper from crack wins
dot com. Bill crack crack Mburger. Now it's a party
over here. H only about thirteen minutes until kickoff. Here
the early windows seven games at one pm Eastern time.
It is Fox Sports Radio's Countdown to Kickoff, presented by

(01:52:42):
bet MGM. Always love when Iowa Sam or technical producer
lets his hair down and plays them Slayer. Now we're
often running. I just feel like firing off bets now.
I feel like they're all gonna win positive energy, you think.
So do you make your bets when you are listening
to Slayer in the background there, Jeff, all the time.
That's what I do. I just listen to Slayer Wall.

(01:53:04):
I am doing my report each week and studying the
numbers and watching film Biga fan. That's great man. By
the way, thank you to the crew, Isaac Lowenkron, great
job today as always, Iowa Sam producer and our producer
Ryan ber Singer. By the way, we were talking baseball today.
Do you know this? Baseball was Ryan's favorite sport growing
up and still is. He also played volleyball throughout high school.

(01:53:27):
So there you go. Fun facts about our producer Ryan
ber Singer. Yeah, I'm sure he was a big fan
of the splintered bat talk during the show today. Apparently
you know, well, yeah, very would you rate that on
a scale from one to tend there? Ryan, what do
you think? Oh? Good? Ten? Great bat analysis? Very nice
like that? Very good? Okay, um, well you got picks here?

(01:53:48):
To make well before the picks. We haven't spent much
time though on um, this Patriots Jets game. So the Jets,
the books, the betting public that they're just not sing
the Jets flat out over them. Yeah, look at the
quarterback issues. Mac Jones played what three series had an

(01:54:09):
interception than Bailey's Appy comes in and they're back to
mac Jones today. Yet the Patriots are three point favorites
on the road. Like, I think our host is also
on them. I heard a little giveaway there earlier. I
think our co host Jeff is on the New England. Jeff, No,
I'm not. I'm not on this game. But no, I'm
on this game. I mean, I just think there's too

(01:54:30):
much unknown with with New England on on offense, like
pick a quarterback, right, you have two quarterbacks, you have none,
pick a guy stick with them, like, you can't do
this back and fourth thing we go. Mac Jones also
to Bailey's happy his first drive on Monday when he
when he did well, everyone was open. Can you call
those plays? Can you call the open plays for mac
Jones as well? Where everyone's open? Like, come on? So

(01:54:51):
I do think I think mac Jones is going back
to him is the right call. Um, I don't know
what to expect from I'm not on New England today.
That's not uh, I'm on them today. I leaned the
other way. I mean, give me the three points at
all for a peanut. The problem with the Jets, I
mean is that you kind of are losing a lot
of important players, like offensively, like you're the injuries are
starting to take a toll in. Zach Wilson has not

(01:55:12):
been great and so you're really you're relying on one
sort of game plan to win this game. That that
concerns me. We have dominated them to lifetime and they've
just dominant, but not so much first to spread, which
is the most important thing. How about this Zack Wilson,
his passer rating when he's pressured is clicking head here

(01:55:32):
when you get some pressure on him. We also want
to say this, welcome back to the Fox Sports Radio
Tailgate presented by the Big Green Egg. Nothing beats the
flavor of live fire cooking on a Big Green Egg.
It's the most versatile grill you'll ever own, backed by

(01:55:55):
let's make some picks. Let's do it rapid fire. All right,
we'll start with you, crack. What do you think today? Well,
I'm gonna start with a prop bed here and I'm
going foreman devote. I'm saying to name wrong form an
under sixty seven and a half yards. Uh, that that's

(01:56:15):
gonna be my my start out. There is rushing yards
under on Carolina Panthers. Okay, um, I will take Atlanta
minus the four at home against the Panthers. I think
last weekend we saw kind of just like a dead
cat bounce ew in theory Christie McCaffrey game Hubbard's out
by the way for the Panthers, Like, I just think

(01:56:36):
this is a bad spot for Carolina this game. Yeah, Wow,
You're going up against York Carolina Panthers. Jeff, Do I
have that right? I don't. They're not my Cara Panthers.
My team is on to buy this weekend. They're five
and two the Panthers on the team. I bet with
you again, so I probably should have done that on
the find site. We just think about you being Carolina,
maybe playing or I live in Charlotte. I do get

(01:56:58):
in Charlotte, that is yes. Yeah. By the way, you
know it's crazy before my pick real fast is I
was looking at the standings in the a f C. West.
If you look at the Chiefs five and two just
throttled the forty Niners, things are looking great. The Chargers,
they've had a couple of ugly losses, loss of the
Seahawks right there, four and three. They're one game back.

(01:57:19):
It's crazy how close they are in the standings. Uh
my pick today, I'm gonna go back to the well.
You know we're on the same game. I think all
three of us are in agreement. San Francisco, San Francisco
minus one. On the road, I think it's a strong
play the Rams until they figure it out offensively, I'm
not gonna back them against the Niners, even at home.

(01:57:39):
It's semi road game for the Rams every time they're
playing a good opponent. I expect Christian McCaffrey to have
a good game. Kittle has played very well. No Deepo
Samuel is troubling, but I can't expect the Rams running
game to be anything worth relying on. If you can't
run the ball and you're one dimensional and Stafford's been
turning it over. I like the Niners in this spot

(01:58:01):
minus one. So there you go. All right, we got this.
Let's get to crack. Here we go. This is the
best play of the day. I feel like you neat
some Thunder two crack this. You know, it's the play
of the day for you. Crack. What do you think
it is? Let's give you guys a couple of things

(01:58:22):
that the Thunders play every week has been working. I
see the Bears now still some ten's out there hanging,
So I would say that's the Thunder play. But as
far as best bet, I may have to go with
what I talked about earlier. Listen, MGM still hanging this
twenty six and a half over fifteen first half, Miami
Detroit over first half, and that's the way at six

(01:58:45):
still crist six and a half. That's the twenty six
and a half and a a half. The shops on the board,
one of which is MGM. So yeah, kind of like that.
By the way, Craig, this is not a criticism. Do
you ever play first half unders? Do you ever do that?
You know what? I don't really like playing first half
unders a lot. I think a lot. It's a pure
number you can you can bet over first half compared

(01:59:07):
to the the game. But like this, this line is not available.
The Jets under twenty earlier in the week. I've seen
that and I put a little peanut on that. Yeah,
I'll play under first half some, but it has to
be the key numbers, like I don't want to go
over six and a half. There you go, nice, alright,
so we're all rooting for Sam Elinger rushing yards today.

(01:59:29):
Taken away from Nice. Let's make it a trio a
pow wow over here for the bet. Everybody enjoy Week eight.
We'll catch us soon.
