Speaker 1 (00:01):
Are you ready to witness quatness?

Speaker 2 (00:03):
NFL fans, Welcome to the largest tailgate party in the nation,
where let's go to the Fox Sports Radios Countdown to
Kickoff presented by Bett mg app, the King of sportsbook.
We're setting you up with the information you need to
watch your team win.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
F three is the in game.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
We're here to break it all down.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
This is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by
Bett mg App. Now we're live from your tailgame. Here's
Brian no h Year, NFL veteran Jeff Schwartz at sports
handicapper from crackwins dot com Bill Crack Krackenberger.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
Oh, welcome in, good morning, happy week one in the NFL.
We will get you all set. All these matchups. Oh
it is just ripping with storylines left and right. But
you know, first I have to say, thankfully Jeff's Ducks
found a way to win the game, or else, Crack,

(01:09):
you would have two miserable co hosts today as my
Irish went down in flames to Northern Illinois.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Good lord.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
A top five team goes down at home to Northern Illinois.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Just awful.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
I'll tell you this real fast. Duke Riley Leonard way
better than Notre Dame. Riley Leonard, the Notre Dame quarterback
has been absolutely dreadful. I'm gonna need some some good
betting advice to cheer me up today from both of you, guys.

Speaker 5 (01:34):
Good morning. Yeah, I stayed up waiting for that game.
Sorry my voice is a little bit off. I've been
sick this week, but I feel better today. Oregon winning
definitely makes you feel a little bit better there, guys. Yeah, Look,
I think college football it's been interesting, right, there's a
very upper tier, right Georgia, Ohio State, Texas probably, yeah,

(01:58):
would be uh, would would be the upper tier, and
then it's sort of everyone else, and no matter what
with the portal and with recruiting and nils, the same
teams man at the top and that's where the spoils. Look.
It was prime letdown weekend, right, Even Penn State had
a tough game. It's bowling green and you know, Notre

(02:18):
Name starting slow made a lot of sense in that game,
but not not finishing it, you know. And the officials,
by the way, tried to get them the game. Not
think they were colluding again in the game, there were
some there were some poor calls there at the end,
and in the end the Illinois won, and so yeah,
I mean, look, I thought the Irish are a playoff team.
I think with their schedule it can still be. But
this loss is gonna hot Dan Brian when it comes

(02:40):
to playoff discussion time.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Hey guys, Good morning guys. I've seen that. Of course
the Notre Dame thing. People were asking what the odds
were out here in villain in Las Vegas. You could
have took twenty two to one. I mean, and I
made a wise guy comment on Twitter saying to everyone,
congratulations to all the you know, the people who took

(03:03):
Northern Nolanoy money line. I'm being funny because when that happens,
usually that means the sportsbooks clean up. Here's why. So
someone will be betting no matter what I tell them,
You tell them, Jeff tells them, no matter what we say,
how bad parleys are throwing money lines in and they say, well,
let's enhance my parlay and lay fifty to one on
Notre Dame. They can't lose, so you just throw that

(03:25):
in there to try to get an extra you know,
you know, three percent five percent back on your parlay
and that winds up ruining your parlay. And that's the
reason why you can't put these big money line favorites.
There's situations, but you cannot put these big moneyline favorites
and just trying to enhance your parlay and get a
better return and saying, let's just be blunt saying, oh
that that's a lock. There is no locks. That's that's

(03:47):
all I got to say.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Yeah, that's been one of Crack's main that's he's been
banging the pulpit on that for a while. Remember Jeff,
when we did are live broadcasts and all of that.
That's the one thing that is like, uh, the big
money line favorites in a parlay. It just it makes
his skin crawl, you know. And I thought of you,

(04:08):
Crack because after Notre Dame lost, Jeff and I were texting.
Jeff was like, hey, what do you think Notre Dame
money line. I'm like, I don't know about because I
took a blood bath a couple of years ago against Marshall.
You think, okay, in game big favorite, Well they're gonna win, right,
And so I stayed away. But I thought of you
Crack in terms of betting lessons that.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
You learn along the way.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
If you think about your whole sports handicapping career, what
would you say is a lesson Maybe you learned the
hard way, but one of the most valuable lessons you've
learned that you keep in mind when you start betting
each and every every day.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Right, I look at this thing different than most other people.
So I don't even consider myself a gambler, believe it
or not. I'm the gambler that gambles without gambling really,
so it's more of you know, bankrollman. If it's my
main thing is that, Hey, I know, I'm only betting
you know, one percent of my bank or less per play,

(05:06):
because that's gambler's ruin r U. I n if if
you're betting more than that, I know most people don't
do that, even if you're trying to teach them that.
But you could have the best information in the world,
the best info in the world if you're betting. You know,
if you have a thousand dollars and you're betting one
hundred dollars a game, I don't care how good of
information you have. That is not going to be successful

(05:27):
for you in the end. If you even if you
get the best of the line by a couple of
points in every single line doesn't matter because you know,
if you flip a coin, you know ten times, yeah, okay,
you may get five heads five tails, or you may
get nine heads and one tail and over. You know,
many samples of that you're going to get. You know,
you know, over a million of them you're going to get.

(05:49):
Play you know, areas where there's ten, twenty thirty in
a row. So even though the mat says it should
work out the right way, there's going to be different
things in your life where you're gonna lose with the
best of it. Yes, So you cannot be betting over
ten percent. You can't be betting over like, you know,
one percent of your bankroll at any given time. But

(06:11):
it's the hardest thing for people to do, especially you know,
Sunday night football. What are you gonna do. You lost
for the day. Let's say you lost three units for
the day, Sunday night football. Even if you don't like anything,
you're gonna have money on that game. You're gonna be
firing and you're gonna be trying to get even. It's
absolutely what the sportsbooks want you to do. Please people
listening today. Hopefully if I could just change one person

(06:31):
around and their mindset, and then there's always other spots.
There's always other games coming up.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
Brian, you texted me last night and asked me should
I bet on an organ money life? I gave you the
same answer that you gave yourself out he no, heck no, Oh,
I'm crack. I'm I've watched my team enough. I I
know what what what what that life is about. Some
times I was not about to give them some bad
advice like that, look to the bank manager. It's obviously important. Correct.

(07:01):
I have a question for you as we are, and
I know you might not pay attention to this as
much as maybe I do, or or or Brian, But
closing line value something we talk about a lot, right
the best of the number. It feels like it does
not matter in college football. There are times I get like, incredible,
I think, I think I got Georgia yesterday, Georgia Tennessee

(07:23):
Tech sixty two and a half. I got over sixteen
and a half, and they ain't closed near seventy did
not matter, Like it wasn't even close to going over.
In college football, it feels like CLV closing link value
is far less important than we make it out to be. Now,
you want the best number, Like I'm not saying I
don't want the best number. Yeah, I closed sixty close

(07:44):
to sixty nine. I got sixty two and a half
cost sixty nine. It wasn't even close fifty one points, Crack,
This CLV is that something that you really It feels
like the NFL so important because the numbers are so sharp.
A half point here and there, it's a huge deal.
It doesn't feel that same way in college football, Cracker,
Am I wrong to think that?

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Well? Uh, someone said, I really don't get to read
Twitter a lot unless someone sends me something someone sent me,
Did you tweet this out or something someone sent me
yesterday about CLV?

Speaker 5 (08:16):
And but but I did not because people will be
very angry at me and gambling Twitter. If I said
CLV didn't didn't matter. But maybe it was our chat
been on our chat. Yeah, it was a topic for today.
But I do I do some work now. And then
crag I said over top, I think I'll make Brian
do everything for us. But that was a topicuse like
I feel like in college football when I actually this
team goes in my direction. I think I'm gonna lose

(08:37):
that wager. I feel less comfortable, Like I got Santieo State.
Now they covered yesterday at plus six and a half,
steamed down to three kickoff crack. I'm like, I'm losing
a wager. It happens all the time. You lose these wagers, Brian,
right where you get like the best number college football,
I lose all of them.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
Well, it's short term variants because in the end, if
you have the best of the line in the end,
you should get the money in the end. Now that's
long that's over the course of a season. Though any
given day you can you can have closing line value
on a dozen games and the one and eleven. I mean,
it could happen and it just seems like you're in
the moment, so it seems like that. But long term,

(09:14):
if you're on the right side of the line, which
that means you know more than the originating book maker.
So if you're on the right side, perfect example, guys,
and we're on air here in that right now live
at seven to ten am, Las Vegas time. Seattle just
moved from six to seven. That's a giant, by the way,
that's a giant move six to seven. The key number

(09:35):
out here in Vegas, they just moved to six and seven.
Six to seven. Now the six lay in the six.
That's a lot of value. It's a lot of closing
line value, be costs of the key number seven, which
costs you extra money to buy to if you were
to buy now. I'm not even the proponent of buying,
by the way anymore. It costs so much money to buy.
And then and then the analytics fall into play now

(09:57):
where teams are going for two, the extra point aren't
what they used to be. Uh So, However, though, if
I have Seattle minus the six, I don't want to
know who the coaches, who the starting quarterbacks. Of course
we know they are. I don't care about that. All
I know is I laid six and the line is
now seven. That's what I want in the end by

(10:18):
the time it kicks off. Now, not to say this
is not a fake and and that's you know, not
to say this is not maybe a two different gambling
syndicates trying to set up a game and taken the
seven later on. So you have to know which moves
are real and which moves aren't real. So but I
think this is real when this goes to seven at

(10:38):
major sports books like this, this is a real move.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
But hey, crack real fast, you know, because it seems
like we've got the text thread going and it seems
way more times than I know it's true. It's not
just that it seems that way. You get the best
of the line. Where let's say you're on a game
early in the week, you're on an over and it's
over forty one and a half and by kickoff it's

(11:03):
probably going to be around forty three or something like that.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Like what are you looking at?

Speaker 4 (11:08):
And I think it's for everybody listening, like that's key
to anticipate where the line is gonna be. Right when
you make a bet early in the week, what do
you look at to anticipate where the line is most
likely gonna end up? Where you get the best of
the line.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Well, there's gonna be buyback. Now, we have people that
are scalpers, and we have a professional scalpers of middlers,
which means they're betting both way trying to earn. But
you also have a lot of guys that think they're
scalpers and think they middle So you're gonna have buy
back on games. Perfect example was this Pittsburgh Atlanta game.
You had a syndicate play over forty one, one of

(11:44):
the sharpest syndicates, by the way, played over forty one.
And then a buddy of mine who's very sharp out
here in Vegas, he said, listen, got this is forty three.
This is too high. I like the under on this game.
So now you have two different syndicates playing two different ways,
and I'll tell you right now, two different winning gambling syndicates.

(12:04):
I don't want nothing to do with this game like
that total because I don't know who is right. But
I know both guys are winners, both groups are winners.
But in the end, in the end though, using a
regular game, I definitely will look and I'll know from
thirty years of doing this looking at my live odd

(12:25):
screen usually I will know what is buy back and
what is legit because if it's around a key number.
Perfect example, I just told you guys, seeattle went the
seven out here well as we speak, right in front
of me, boom, it just moved from that seven back
to six and a half. Someone middled it, tried to
take the seven, and obviously they did moved it back
to six and a half. So they laid six and

(12:46):
took seven, and in a low total like that forty
one and a half forty two, it might not be
a bad play. It might be positive ev expected value
laying the six, taking the seven low total, which that
means is the game should and more if a game
is forty one and a half rather than fifty one
and a half, it should play closer to the number.
So I want to know that I get the best

(13:09):
of it, and I want to know what's buy back
and what's not at game time. A lot of times
because the public follows. Sometimes the public follows, you know,
the originators, and they'll add on to it, and maybe
they'll overmove the line, so there's always going to be
some buyback. But I around the key numbers, I realize
that's just someone middling. I still want my sharp side

(13:31):
of the game. A perfect example Seattle minus six. Even
though we'll move back to six and a half, I
still know that that's six was a good side of
that game minus six. Now, I didn't bet the game
myself personally, I'm just looking at the screen. You know,
I'll do this what' through out today on the show Today.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Yeah, no doubt. Yeah, it's it's good advice. Right, it's
a closing line value and bankroll management. Those are both
long term approaches, right, that's what you're thinking. You're trying
to wait over the long haul. So good stuff and
whatever gets me not thinking about Notre Dame. I'm all
for right now, craft, I appreciate all of that, all right, Jeff, Right,
I don't want to think about that at all.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
I bet to say I am. I'm very excited for
the crack challenge today. Oh yeah, yeah, wait till we
do this later. Today, I have my five games. I
hope the numbers are still going to be good by
the time we get to kick off. We'll see what happens.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
And you never know.

Speaker 5 (14:21):
They are I am on stiniky Dogs today, like you
wouldn't believe.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
Yeah, you would not believe.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
It sounds like Steelers. It sounds like you haven't moved off, Mike, the.

Speaker 5 (14:30):
Steelers, Panthers, Titans. I am the Panthers and plus four
day is my favorite wager. We'll talk about all this later.
That's Panthers. I cannot wait to watch these games and
the worst teams and worst quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
And Jeff, you're alone this weekend, right, the family's gone.

Speaker 5 (14:48):
It was last weekend week. Okay, you're here, they'll leave
me alone.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
I think the.

Speaker 5 (14:55):
Well, the Chiefs played Thursday, so I'm less like intense
with watching the games today without the team I root
for playing, even though I have my wagress. The family
doesn't really they sort of know I gamble. But again
to your point about management of unit size, like I
don't gamble enough that if my family even notices the money, right,
it's not about I like making money. I hate losing

(15:17):
money more so, it's not the thing where like it
affects the family, which is what it should be, right,
crack is.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Of course, you never want to tell your wife what
you're betting.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
No, she did ask me one time, like we're watching
we were watching the US women's Olympic team. We're flying
home from Miami. I think it was I was watching
you did you bet on this game? So the first
time you ever asked me if I bet on something?
So No, I mean, look, uh, there were games yesterday
when my family was around where I kind of just
got got beat the very end, and you just you

(15:44):
live with it. The thing the thing about it, guys,
I haven't I've only been gambling for six years now.
It's not a lot. I've learned a lot over the years.
But Crack mentioned it about the night games, like you
just cannot chase. Yeah, you just can. You just can't
do it. If you want to try to double up
on something like I had Nebraska yesterday. I took them
second half because I knew I won the game. Basically,
I try to double up a little bit, like I

(16:06):
do that every now and then I know I have
some money in my pocket, I'll try to make more money.
I'm greedy. Why not I still to start trying to
profit from that first wager. But like you, you just
can't double down. You can't chase. You have to be
okay with if you cap a game a certain way,
you lose, Like that's just that's life. Like that, you
lose wagers, that's what happens and when you gamble. And

(16:29):
I know this inclination in week one, I certainly felt
this a way for Cultureoball these past couple weeks where
I live wagered probably more than I should have because
I was sort of in the moment of wanting to
have money on certain games. You you can't do that,
like I MA, I made that mistake. You just got
to have to step away from it.

Speaker 4 (16:44):

Bet MGM's offering you a second chance on your first
touchdown bet in the NFL. When a customer plays an
NFL wager on a first touchdown score bet and he
doesn't score first but scores second, BETMGM will return one
hundred percent of their stake back in cash. It's a

(18:33):
great promotion right there. Okay, so we get some rookie
quarterback debuts here. We get Kayleb Williams with the Bears.
We get Jayden Daniels with Washington, we get your guy
bow Nicks over there with the Broncos. Which of these
three do you think has the toughest matchup. You've got
Caleb Williams at home facing the Titans, Jaden Daniels on
the road against Tampa, Bo Nicks on the road against Seattle.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
I would go with your guy Bo Nicks over here
in this one.

Speaker 5 (19:00):
Jeff, Yeah, I think I think Nicks has as a
difficult spot to be in. I also I wouldn't I
wouldn't put it past Jane Daniels having a tough spot.
Tampa Bay is not a bad football team. You're on
the road for your first start. It's a good defense
like that. I back to the Seattle thing. I don't
quite understand all the Seattle love in the market. It's

(19:24):
a brand new coach we have not seen before, right,
and Mike McDonald with Gino Smith, who I think is
just mah Is this more of a bow Nix thing?
I will say again, we know that rookie quarterbacks making
their first start have a terrible against the spread record.
I get it, number one picks overall, oh, fourteen and one.

(19:44):
You get to spread the last fifteen start, scrap first
start for number one pick overall, oh fourteen and one. However,
the caveat being the Bears are a much better team
than most teams rookies are on. By the way, but
the reason why guys, rookie quarterbacks struggles so much early
in their careers is when I was when I was
a young player offensive line coach, said Schwartz, there's different

(20:07):
speeds to the game, and you're gonna learn about the speeds. Okay,
they are essentially preseason to Week one, there's a big
jump in speed, and then there's sort of a regular
season speed when everyone sort of settles in, there's a
playoff push in each round of the playoffs is faster.
So these quarterbacks think they know what the NFL is
crack after the preseason, they.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Have no idea.

Speaker 5 (20:28):
The speed today they're gonna see is unlike they think
they've ever seen in their lives. I think has happened faster,
They happen quicker. Teams game plan for you, they hit
you order. Jeffrey Simmons today for the Titans has coming
after Kaylen Williams. He has not had that yet. Okay,
It's like that's why these guys struggle. So I'm not
automatically fading all these young quarterbacks. I will be on

(20:49):
the Titans. I'll tell you that right now. So I
think the Bears love is just too much. The number
was four, it's three and a half.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Crack.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
I'm fine with three and a half. Still, it's above
the King number of three, even though we know now
with the extra points though for us a little bit
can be a little important, right, And it's been a
different in different years, but I still like tendency to
come in there and make this a tough game for
the Bears today.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
There's a great perspective from a former player that knows
about the speed and to hear that the speed get
was different from of course preseason, the even last game
of preseason, the game won not even close to Just
just thinking about that and thinking what these rookie quarterbacks
are up up against. You know, I think the toughest

(21:33):
match ups probably for bow Knicks. You know, on paper,
he has the least amount of help on his offense,
so he's going to be in one of the toughest
places to play in the entire NFL, Seattle, And you
know Seattle has a lot definitely, uh, you know, you
have to deal with their twelfth man, the crowd over there.
So I think Boecks Bonis can be, you know, a serviceable,
good quarterback in the NFL. Starter, Yes, but I think

(21:56):
he's gonna have his struggles in this rookie season, and
I think today will be tough for him. But I'm
not looking to lay six and a half on a
game out of the gate. It was tough enough for
me to you know, when I told you guys the
Cincinnati was going to move. I don't ever remember betting

(22:16):
a game laying that many points Week one. You know,
I just knew about the move. I knew it was
going to move. I gave it to you guys a
couple of minutes early. Boy, I'll tell you what really tough, because,
let's face it, you're gonna lay seven and a half,
it's gonna move to eight.

Speaker 5 (22:33):
And a half.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
You say a big deal. Eight it's a dead number.
It's not as dead as it used to be. I
understand games land on eight now again like I said before,
but analytics the teams down fourteen down at the end
of the game, they go for two. So a game
could land on eight. But it just doesn't seem like,
you know, is we'll get to a little bit more
about that game, but I'm just saying it's very hard

(22:56):
to lay. And this particular game we're talking about here
with Bo Nicks, Yeah, it's a six and a half.
And there's a ton of love over there.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Love.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
They love boon Nicks, you know that. That's all the
talk preseason was about him, so of course on their squad.
So but we'll see there. There's just tough spots for
all these rookie quarterbacks. Of course we know Daniels Williams.
I just think Bo bow Nicks is gonna have the toughest,
toughest one with that offense.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
Yeah, it's weird because I get it and I don't
get it at the same time. Where you look at
bow Knicks in particular, or the rookie hype for a
young quarterback and listen, you're hope, springs eternal, right, You're hopeful,
you're optimistic. Hey, they got the guy of the future.
So I get the fan thinking process. But if you
stop and think about that for a second, this is

(23:43):
where I don't get it. Is Trevor Lawrence, Okay Jaguars quarterback.
In the preseason, he played with the number one offense
against the Falcons backup defense, and they carved them up, right,
the Jags had their way. No One looked at that
and said, whoa Trevor Lawrence. He might put up monster
numbers this year, right, Like nobody got excited about that.

(24:07):
But when it comes to a rookie quarterback like bo
Nicks carving up the Packers backup defense, people are doing
like shirtless somersaults.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
You know, it's weird, how I get it.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
You're hopeful, But at the same time, like Jeff explained,
the preseason is such a different animal. Why I gotta
at least see you do it against ones. The same
thing goes for Caleb Williams. Caleb Williams against the Bengals,
he had a couple of nice throws, made a couple
of nice plays. Those are backups. There are not backups
today with the Titans. So that's a huge difference.

Speaker 5 (24:39):
It's not And so you know, again you should not,
in my opinion, you should just blindly fade things because
of trends. Like I think there has to be a reason,
and I just explained the reason behind the trend right
like that, That to me feels like, okay, Kayleb Williams
is again he's a different situation than other rookie quarterbacks
because there the team is a around him, is better

(25:01):
than other situations. But that doesn't mean that I think
he's gonna come out and play well today. Again, I'm
fine with back on the Titans here, and but I
think for like Daniels and and Nicks, like, if you
just blindly faded them, you're probably gonna come out ahead,
you win two or three. I think if you just
if you just blindly faded these three quarterbacks in this
game and this week, I think you'll hit You'll hit

(25:21):
two or three.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
We all get this. Bet MGM Sportsbook Insights NFL Week one.
Today's shocked me. I'd love to know when Christian comes
on if this is still the case. The most bet
teams the Titans. I mean, are the Titans the most
bet team? Like, it's just hard for me to believe
that that would still hold some of these teams on

(25:45):
on this list the handle most bet teams, Titans, most
money bet Titans first, Panthers second, and the Bengals are third.
That doesn't surprise me, but I just can't believe these
ugly teams, the Titans and Answers are getting the most
money interesting. I just always think the opposite of the public.

(26:06):
Can the public be sharpening up? I mean, like, what
what is going on with this fan base here, this
betting base at bet MGM, So I'm kind of interested
in this. Wow there, I think there were Jeff's.

Speaker 5 (26:17):
Here's here's the thing crack. I think in a week
one you throw out the public sharp thing sometimes because
everyone is just waking up today, putting stuff, putting money down,
and they're gonna look the Titans thing. Everyone's putting that
money down because of the fourteen and one trend. The Saints.

(26:38):
Derek Carr since twenty fourteen is ranked one hundred and
sixty five out of one hundred and six quarterbacks in
his is against a spread percentage as a as a
favorite one sixty five out of one sixty six. He's
three seventeen and one as a favorite his last eight
in his last was that twenty one games and that's

(26:59):
what it is. Or No. Three fourteen and one is
least eighteen games as a favorite. People wake up and
see these trends. I like the Panthers because I the
Panthers are not a half bad football team. No one
saw them playing the preseason Bryce hadn't played one drive.
I just don't like the Saints team right now. I
don't think they're very talented team. The offense line is
not very good. And car I never no every way
during car So I like these games for different reasons

(27:20):
I think than the public does crack. So I'm not
going to get off of them because in week one
the public saw some trends and it's all over those teams.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
Yeah, I'll tell you what, go ahead, Ryan got no
real fast go for I just I just want. I
just want to see if that's still the case. Since
when this email was sent. That's just unbelievable to me.
I woke up this morning and seeing this and I
couldn't believe that Carolina and Tennessee were the most bet
volume at bet MGM, wow.

Speaker 4 (27:47):
You would think it's like the Cowboys or someone super public.

Speaker 3 (27:50):
Yeah, everyone loves Houston this year. I believe it. I'm
not Chicago was a big risk for this town Las Vegas.
People just come blindly bet Chicago and Lalls Vegas. It's
the most team sometimes the most the biggest risk on
futures is usually the Bears in this town or the Cowboys.
Right exactly, right.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
Well, I'll tell you someone who you can blindly bet
on and never go wrong. That would be isaacloh and
cron Our main man. You know, just throw money.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
You're always gonna make money if you throw money at
I Low, I low with the latest.

Speaker 8 (28:19):
What's going on, Bud, Good morning fellas, and the very latest.
NFL media just tweeting out a video of Russell Wilson
doing some pregame throwing on the field at Mercedes Benz
Stadium in Atlanta in advance of the Steelers Falcons game today.
Still no official word yet on Wilson's status for the
game due to his calf injury, but again, just moments

(28:40):
ago doing some pregame throwing on the turf at Mercedes
Benz Stadium in Atlanta. In college football on Saturday night,
number two Ohio State shutout Western Michigan fifty six to nothing.
Fourth ranked Alabama over South Florida forty two to sixteen,
but it was a one point game with ten oh
five left on the fourth quarter. Alabama out scored on
the rest of the way twenty eight to three. Seventh

(29:02):
ranked Oregon got past Boise State thirty seven to thirty
four as JEF knows all too well is Atticus Sappington
kicked the game wuding twenty five yard field goal at
the gun Number thirteen USC over Utah State forty eight
to nothing, and Major League Baseball. On Saturday night, the
Los Angeles Dodgers scored six runs in the first inning
for a seven to two win over Cleveland. They now

(29:24):
lead the National League West by five over the San
Diego Padres, who lost to the Giants six to three
as San Francisco rookie Grant McCrae two home runs and
at five RBI. Finally back to the NFL, and with
the first Sunday of the regular season kicking off about
two and a half hours from now, let's sample what's
some fans out there are up two? A Buffalo Bills

(29:46):
fan has just tweeted in advance of their opener against
the Arizona Cardinals and I quote, bleep it ten am,
hey Berner already two burners deep. It's a bad day
to be a beer but it's a great day to
be a Bill's fan. On that note, where can I
get a hay murder back to you guys? Yeah, hey,

(30:10):
let us know ilo if you uh, it's apparent Yeah,
it's apparently some sort of I PA okay, all right, Yeah,
it is.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
Fox Sports Radios Cat Down to Kickoff, presented by Bett MGM.
You know, Jeff, we've got the Panthers in Saints here today,
as you were just talking about, and I know you're
on the Stinky Dog here and fading Derek Carr. Get
all of that beyond today. Are we running it back?
Are we doing our annual Panthers versus Saints season long.

Speaker 5 (30:38):
Bet'm I run that back with you?

Speaker 1 (30:41):
You will, okay?

Speaker 3 (30:42):
All right?

Speaker 1 (30:43):
Standard amount and everything?

Speaker 5 (30:45):
Yeah, five hundred right, we did last time.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
That's what we did the last couple of years, right
and one.

Speaker 5 (30:51):
I'm in for that. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
What is the actual bet for the public, guys? What's
the West record?

Speaker 5 (30:55):
Yep?

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Whoever wins more, whoever wins more games.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
Who has New Orleans?

Speaker 5 (31:02):
Yeah, I know, right exactly.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
I mean there has to be a like Mayas one
fifty l.

Speaker 5 (31:06):
No, No, I don't care oh about this. I won
two years ago without any lay crack crack.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
We were in the three of us. We were in
Cincinnati that day.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
It was week eighteen, yes, and those two teams were
playing in New Orleans and New Orleans had a field
goal attempt from way back and missed it. It was a
tie game, and this would have most likely won me
the season long bet. Think about this all season long.
These teams are neck and neck. Comes down to Week eighteen,
they're playing each other. Saints have a long field goal attempt,

(31:37):
they miss it. Sam Darnold leads the Carolina Panthers into
field goal territory and they hit their field goal.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
And Jeff, I remember the show. We're sitting there, oh yeah.

Speaker 4 (31:50):
At Great American Ballpark, right at the bet MGM sportsbook.
Jeff put five hundred dollars right in front of me.
He put the money on the table. He thought that
the Saints were probably gonna win, and they let me down.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
Crack, And I had to pay up that boy.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
That's that's a real jon and that's called your joner
where you put the money out like you're gonna pay
Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (32:09):
And then last year I had to pay him back.
I had to give him cent of money. So it
all even doubts.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Yeah, all right, yeah, what are you think of today, though, Crack?
This is one of your favorite plays. Panthers plus the
points here in Week one against the Saints though.

Speaker 3 (32:22):
Right, listen, we we we have a giant pool out here.
You know that we have a six million guaranteed and
a and a ten million which went to fourteen and
a half million. And I'm using Carolina on my on
my picks, there was plus four and a half on
the cards, So yeah, I am using Carolina on the cards.
Now you can get four's just but I uh three

(32:44):
and a half, MGM three and a half? See MGM
is uh leading the way there with the three and half.
Only a couple three and a half's out there, so
I am on Carolina. But just that's just a Listen.
It's first week NFL guys. I want to say this
a couple of times throughout the show. These lines have
been up for six months. They're so efficient. So I'm

(33:06):
gonna explain it again later, but just for everyone to
know out there, the Crack challenge is five games against
the spread five minutes before kickoff. Impossible. Listen. Listen to me.
Listen to me, guys, Listen to me. There's no way
either one of us have a winning record. Way nobody
can pick five games a week for you know, eighteen

(33:29):
weeks and have a winning record. I don't know. Last year,
I think I was on some kind of a delay
and then Jeff actually did win it or he's he's
got something going on. I don't know how it happened,
but it can never happen again, buddy, I know, fifty
it's ridiculous against the spread at post time. That can

(33:51):
never happen. It's a once in a lifetime.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
It probably is. Brian, though, you were.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
Because right there.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
Absolutely, yeah, absolutely, we're both of fifty percent. You know,
we're looking to run it back here.

Speaker 4 (34:03):
I get like an all expense paid vacation if we're
over fifty percent.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
Here, crap you, guys, I'll put you up here at
a nice hotel, one of the MGM hotels or something. Here.
Come on out, Okay, gotcha, gotcha covered. Let me ask you,
this is going to be how these things come up
so spontaneously. Jeff, Jeff found a person, the voice. Uh
and I'm not going to say who man on fire,
the voice who We've made a lot of money over

(34:28):
the years. And did the Voice given anything out or
is it too early?

Speaker 5 (34:32):
No voice? The Voice. The Voice has a they're part
of a different sports book and they post their plays
on its sportsbook app the voices on the Commanders, the
I think the under and Bears Titans. The voice will
probably put the plays out soon right from that. I
like the Bucks anyway, so seeing the Commanders is one of.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
Them I like. I like the Bucks too, and one
of the voice just to voice, this is a losing
sports book life.

Speaker 5 (35:00):
Oh sorry, the voice is out. Actually, the thing about
it is that the voice is very bad in two
specific sports. When women is the NFL. The problem is
there is one pick on here that I think you
do like crack, which is the Chargers minus three. But otherwise.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
And then.

Speaker 5 (35:19):
And then the look, I like a teaser today we
can talk about this. There's a teaser on here that
every person's gonna do. And I have one of the
legs on this teaser. It's gonna really bother me. But
that's uh uh, there we go.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Let's talk about that.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
Right around the corner here we've got Bill Krackenberger from
crackwins dot com. Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran, I'm
Brian no coming up next, little teaser chat and the
parlay platter. We'll each have one selection for you. This
is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by BETMGM.
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by

(35:53):
bet MGM. Every time you make a wager at BETMGM,
you earn BETMGM Rewards points that can be redeem for
things like bonus bets or converted to MGM rewards points
to be used towards dining shows and hotel rooms at
over twenty MGM resorts.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
All right, let's do this.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
Check this out.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
Parlay letter.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
All right, the parlay platter. We each have one selection.
We pull it together for a greater payout.

Speaker 3 (36:23):
Crack.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
Let's start with you, man, what's something you have circle today?

Speaker 3 (36:26):
You know this is? This align has been toggling back
and forth. I'm still gonna stick with my Minnesota over
the Giants. Go with the money line there minus one
twenty Minnesota money line over the Giants.

Speaker 5 (36:42):
I like the Bills team total over twenty seven and
a half. They're at home. Arizona's defense guys is bad o. Hey,
Red you the front seven. You won't know anybody if
you won't, I promise. I think the Bill score a
bunch of points today. I like the over twenty seven
and a.

Speaker 4 (36:59):
Half Okay, I'm gonna stick with the same game that
you went with.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
Crack.

Speaker 4 (37:05):
I'm gonna take Vikings Giants under forty one.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
And here's the thing where I just think.

Speaker 4 (37:11):
It's gonna be an ugly game. I mean, I don't
want a late score from Daniel Jones or Sam Darnold,
like leading a touchdown drive at the end, at the end,
if that's what it calls for it. But I think
what you have to do is, we just watched all
these college football games yesterday Jeffyard Ducks and Boise.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
It was just a shootout. It got nuts toward the
end of the game.

Speaker 4 (37:35):
And you're used to these high point totals and wide
open scoring sometimes and then you hear this number of
forty one and you're like, oh gosh, forty one. But
think about that in this game between the Vikings and
the Giants, forty one. Just break that down to get
to forty points, You're talking about four touchdowns and four
field goals.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
Like, think about that.

Speaker 4 (37:57):
Between the Vikings and Giants today.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Do you see that happening?

Speaker 4 (38:02):
I mean, crazier things have happened, But the Giants play
really good defense. I don't expect the Vikings to go nuts, Like,
ask yourself how many points is the winning team going
to score? Like twenty one, twenty Like if the winning
team gets to twenty four, like twenty four to seventeen
still gets you home at least a push.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
So I'm going on the under here.

Speaker 4 (38:26):
I just don't see offensive fireworks in Vikings Giants in
this one. And this is a teaser leg I feel
like too, if you tease this up to forty seven,
I like the under there as well.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
What's the teaser that you have in mind, though, Jeff here?

Speaker 5 (38:40):
Or yeah?

Speaker 1 (38:41):
About that?

Speaker 3 (38:42):
I have?

Speaker 5 (38:43):
I have Cowboys up to is it not? Is it
eight and a half right now?

Speaker 3 (38:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (38:49):
Yeah, Cowboys eight and a half? Colts plus nine? Move
the Colts up to nine points at home? I like
the Colts anyways plus three, but uh correct my teaser
like Cowboys plus eight and a half on the road
at Cleveland and Colts plus nine at home against the Texans.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
Wow, okay, yeah, I know you're going through the key
numbers there.

Speaker 5 (39:10):
So Crack doesn't like it.

Speaker 3 (39:13):
I know.

Speaker 5 (39:16):
I actually, well, he's betting right now, that's why too.
He's looking at a screen.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
I swear I was betting.

Speaker 5 (39:20):
I know who you were I'm watching you.

Speaker 3 (39:23):
Oh okay, yeah I didn't. I was like, wow, I
how do you know that?

Speaker 5 (39:27):
As soon as you start touching your screen, I know.

Speaker 3 (39:30):
Well, I told you Jacksonville was a major line move
there in the middle of us giving that stuff out
Jacksonville plus three and a half, I was just trying
to steal the last three and a half on the board,
I admit it.

Speaker 5 (39:41):
So I just I told you guys the other day
on social media when I announced our shows back for
the next couple of years, because I'm very, very thankful
for I loved doing this with you guys that my
favorite part about this show is Brian and I are
just gathering about some football topic and Crack is just
over there just hammering away and making it making himself
some money, or we're just I've been like school girls
about the football.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
I'll tell you what, Jamon, I never thought about this
until now.

Speaker 4 (40:05):
I hope he's not like fading us live and no
time you never.

Speaker 3 (40:10):
No, I would tell you, I would tell you you
know my line.

Speaker 1 (40:13):
Yeah, no, I'm rooting for you. You know that would
hurt my gambling heart, my ego.

Speaker 4 (40:18):
If I'm like, you know, I like Vikings Giants under
forty one.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
I give this whole spiel as to why in Cracks.

Speaker 4 (40:23):
Like, let me get some some coin on the over
on this, and I don't buy that at all.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
That would hurt my heart in cracked.

Speaker 3 (40:30):
No, no, no, I didn't bet that one. I didn't
bet that one at all. So I think it'll be
a grind out type of a game. And if that's
the case, I like my Minnesota today and I hope
you hit your under.

Speaker 4 (40:41):
Yeah, there we go. I think we can hit this parlay.
All three lakes seem pretty winnable.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
Let's do it, all right. We got a lot to
get to coming up next.

Speaker 4 (40:52):
The public of public teams is a dog today. Do
you take the points we'll get into that matchup and
what to expect on the other side as well.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
Oh, welcome in Happy Sunday.

Speaker 4 (41:04):
Week one is finally here, the first Sunday of the season.

Speaker 1 (41:11):
That's a wild story.

Speaker 4 (41:12):
Ilo was saying just a couple of minutes ago where
Tyreek Hill Dolphin stud wide receiver handcuffed, detained some sort
of traffic violation but expected to play. And I don't know,
is this Scottie Scheffler.

Speaker 1 (41:28):
Type move over here? Jeff, do we do we hit
all the Tyreek?

Speaker 5 (41:32):
Here's what Jeff Darlington just tweeted out. You ready, I'm
told by sources Tyreek Hill was cited for reckless driving
as a result of his incident outside the stadium with police.
After he was pulled over, he got into a verbal
altercation with police. The officer chose to place Hill in handcuffs.
He was cited and released that the situation was de escalated.

Speaker 3 (41:52):
Yeah, I see the video. I'm looking. I send it
to you guys, the actual video of him be interested
and yeah, it's Do.

Speaker 4 (42:00):
We have a video of Jeff Darlington trying to help
the situation like with Scotty Chef.

Speaker 5 (42:05):
No, I wish we had that.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
Why is Jeff Darlington always around these situations?

Speaker 3 (42:10):
Now? Yeah? Right, yeah, so true, Jesus.

Speaker 4 (42:13):
Yeah, he's right there and everything so well Scotty when
he was now he was arrested, right, he wasn't just attained,
But Scotty Scheffler was great that day.

Speaker 3 (42:24):
Well, Tyrekson handcuffs here behind him, his back, I know, yeah, yeah,
he's arrested too. I mean they let him go. It's
one thing, but yeah, I mean you're taking the guy's
arms pulling behind his back. I mean, yeah, you know
who knows. Sometimes these guys think they're above the law too.
They want to start yelling back and forth.

Speaker 5 (42:38):
I mean, okay, I will I will defend I don't
know what was said. I will be honest with you there.
I will defend Tyreek Hill for a little bit. If
you were driving into the stadium and you get pulled
over by a police officer, it's I would imagine some
things go like, hey, dude, I'm trying to get ready
to play a football game, right you were outside that

(42:58):
you were outside doing traffic for let me the freak
go and let me go get ready for my game.
Like I understand if that's how the conversation went. I
do not know how unpleasant it was, obviously, like it
might have been worse than that. But I am okay
with the idea that he told the officer to get
lost so he can go play some football, especially if
it wasn't like a a real moving violation, like you know,

(43:22):
if he's jumping the curb and he's in a lamb.
But I don't think he's jumping the curb. But if
he is doing something that endangers other pedestrians or people driving. Okay, fine,
you want to cite him for something great, But if
he's just trying to get around traffic, which I've done
before to get into the stadium, and maybe I've broken
a traffic law or two trying to get by a
you know, to get into a stadium somewhere as I'm

(43:43):
trying to play football. I mean, so I will defense
ever we kill a little bit here without knowing all
the details. I'm sure this will never come back to
bite me, but I you know, if it does, I've
at least made my peace about it.

Speaker 3 (43:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (43:58):
The receiving prop bet at bet MGM for Tyreek is
ninety eight and a half receiving yards for what it's
worth right there. So I don't know if you if
you go to Scheffler point of view and saying, well, Scheffler,
he was like five under that day after get you
fade that you go under on that, huh, Jeff, I
don't know.

Speaker 5 (44:16):
I'm just not touching it. I don't know, Okay it, Yeah,
I'll give it a little past.

Speaker 4 (44:20):
It's kind of a weird game, right, Jags Dolphins is
just kind of there, you know what I mean, Like
it's just like, all right, Jags Dolphins, we'll see what happens.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (44:30):
There's not a whole lot of build up heading into
that game, but well, Tyreek getting detained for a little
bit at least gives you a storyline. Because we didn't
know if he was going to be playing, that would
have been a huge deal.

Speaker 5 (44:39):
That that is. That's because no offense in jack Wartsfin's listening.
No one cares about Jacksonville nationally, Like it's just not
it's not like, it's just it's not right. Like I
think that I like Jacksonville. Plus the points here as
one of the ones I did not include in my contest.
And I looked at and I think Jacksonville the Dolphins.
We know this, right, Brian, your Dolphins fan. They tend

(45:00):
to blow out really bad teams and then play closer
than good teams. They're they're a good Jackson's gonna be fine.
They're not team you blowout.

Speaker 1 (45:09):
Put it like that, Yeah, no, I hear you.

Speaker 4 (45:11):
How about another game here, Cowboys at the Browns and
the Browns it's sticked up throughout the week. Krack is
just under a field goal at two and a half,
and I think it's so interesting just the quarterbacks on
the field. Think about this, Dak Prescott, he hasn't gotten
his contract extension, and Deshaun Watson, who has done nothing

(45:32):
with the Browns. He's the guy with the two hundred
and thirty million dollars fully guaranteed deal.

Speaker 1 (45:37):
It's just funny.

Speaker 4 (45:38):
How how that works out. Dak has been much better
Dak season last year. Think about this Deshaun Watson. He's
played twelve games with the Browns. Fourteen touchdown passes, nine interceptions.
That's what they've gotten so far for two thirty fully guaranteed.
Not to mention all the draft capital, that's three first
round picks and then some to get to Seawan. I'm

(45:58):
so interested to see what Deshaun does this season. And
of course, Jeff, he had the arm irritation and what's
up with the shoulder on top of the lack of production.
If he's just average to good and Deshawn's good is
really really good. If he's averaged to good, the Browns
could be a real player. The question is is he
gonna be I have no idea that he's gonna reach

(46:21):
that level.

Speaker 5 (46:21):
No, but I have a plus six hundred ticket on
the Browns to win the AFC North. I think they're
a very talented team. I think today's game, though Brian,
could be a little bit of trouble for both teams.
I actually have the under in this game. I think
that what I have I have under under forty one.
Right now, I'm gonna check the right to make sure

(46:42):
the number is is there?

Speaker 3 (46:45):
It ticked up?

Speaker 4 (46:46):
Ticked up of under forty one you have.

Speaker 5 (46:51):
The Browns have some serious problems on offensive line right now.
A good offensive line, but beat up right now. Conklin's
bath back off pup to play right tackle or left,
we don't really know. And then the left tackles might
be Hutson against mucha Parkins don't like it. Cowboys enter
the game though, with a rookie left tackle until they're
guiding it to Miles Garrett and a rookie center.

Speaker 3 (47:10):
Crack.

Speaker 5 (47:10):
This to me screams like an undergame. I know that
people are gonna want points in this game, but I
have under forty one here forty one and a half now,
so I may get the best of the number, but
I have the under here in this game.

Speaker 3 (47:21):
You got the best of the price. Though, I think
I sent out the division to you guys, I sent
like five tickets that I bet one of them was
the Browns plus six to one for the division. A
couple months back. There was a couple bunch of them
there that were really good odds here in town. Rams
was one of them that they were one of them.
They're just some long shots and some not even token bets.

(47:42):
I bet a serious bet on that taking the six
to one. I have the same as I bet you have.
So as far as today, though, listen, the Cowboy fans
are definitely ready for the season now. They've locked in
Dak Prescott's best target, Ceedee Lamb, the huge contract this offseason. Though.
They also added defensive Quarteror Zimmer, who has tons of
experience in these situations. Especially Amari Cooper faces his old

(48:06):
team for the first time. But you know what, really,
as people excited, isn't anything happening on the field. Really,
The goat Tom Brady will be making his broad cast
debut yeah on Fox by the way, and we'll see
if he's worth this ten years. They they give him
three hundred and seventy five million dollars for ten years. Wow,

(48:27):
that's for being an NFL analyst. Wow. That is unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (48:33):
But you're not getting that to do the show crack woo.

Speaker 3 (48:36):
My god, three hundred and seventy five million dollars Fox
gave him. Let's see.

Speaker 4 (48:41):
I mean, I put it this way, though, Crag, think
about the money, Craig, think about the money that you've
earned listeners. Is Tom Brady gonna earn money for any listeners?
You know you got that going for you, though.

Speaker 3 (48:53):
I gotta tell you, all these ex players, ex coaches
and stuff, they have buried the public when telling them
to bet things at the end of the game, at
the end of the shows. I hope Brady could turn
that around. But you know, listen, just because they had
these careers, they're not enamored like like we are. Like
Jeff is former player, like Jeff Schwartz's in this sports

(49:16):
betting space. They're just looking at it from a fans perspective.
They don't have the right lines when they give things
out sometimes on all these different networks, they're just you know,
former players that are in the spotlight with contracts like this.
So and you know what, I hope he does well,
I'm rooting for him.

Speaker 1 (49:33):
But hey man, that's a classic Crack line right there.
You know, hey, I'm not.

Speaker 4 (49:39):
But you know what, let me just say this real fast.
I'm glad you brought this up, Crack, because you hear
this a lot where And it's true. You don't tune
into a game just to listen to who's doing the game.
But if you want to act like it doesn't make
a big difference, that's just silly to me. Like I'm
watching wall to wall ball yesterday and listen, Colt McCoy
is putting me to sleep on the Nebraska Colorado game.

Speaker 1 (50:03):
It was rough. I think that's the game he was doing.
It wasn't even memorable.

Speaker 4 (50:07):
Yeah it Jason Garrett on the Notre Dame call. Yeah,
it's a first down for sure. With Northern Illinois.

Speaker 5 (50:14):
I don't know. Two things that frustrate me. Well, Cole
McCoy just needs to have more energy. I thought what
he said was fine. He just just did it very monotoge.

Speaker 1 (50:23):
He got get energy exactly.

Speaker 5 (50:25):
The thing that frustrates me about broadcast and look, I
don't call games, so maybe there's an initiative of like
backing the officials, but too many broadcasters just blindly backed
the officials. North Illinois had a first down. Not only that,
they then didn't run the clock after that, which I
noticed immediately, Brian. So for those who missed it, at
the end, North Illinois was down one fourteen thirteen. It

(50:49):
was about what forty five seconds left or something like that.
The first down would have given them a chance to
run the clock out and then he could feel goal
to win the game. They ran the ball in third,
third and short. Everyone agreed he was clearly he got
a first down. The officials spot him short, they review
it and keep the call in the field that it stands.
No one called the time out, never even had one

(51:11):
time out left, The clock didn't run, no kicks a
field goal, and then there's like thirty seconds off and
not him has the timeout still? And I was, I
was like, what no one called the time out? How
does this happen? And then the announcers get on and
say oopsie. The official said that they made a mistake
and they should have run the clock. Yeah I know,

(51:33):
I know, Yeah, I'm aware of that. So like, I
like the transparency at least to saying I messed up.
But it gave no name an opportunity to try to
hail Mary, which I mean Riley Leonard. The ball is
supposed to go in the in zone, buddy, like not
seven yards short. I mean that that was a classic
Major League you know he hit it too high. You're
like no, no, like dude, not so high, buddy, like

(51:58):
in the end zone. So uh but like the blindly
just accepting the officials what they tell you is just
I thnk bs. I don't know why more guys don't
call it, not calling fishers but disagree with them.

Speaker 3 (52:10):
Yeah, I didn't think i'd be hearing this year the
word oopsie Jeff Schwartz.

Speaker 5 (52:17):
It's like it's you know, it's it's a kid thing, right,
like I gotta says and potty and like use kid terms. Man,
you're gonna be like, hey, now the kids are a little
bit older. My I can't. I probably she's eight and
she has a sailor's mouth and it's my wife's fault. Wow,

(52:37):
she sounds like my wife. She has a Southern accent.
It's very funny. You would think she's from the sticks.
It's so funny. Man, she didn't like we like my wife.
I out just like like, like, well, jokingly play a banjo?
Would you talk sometimes to us? Because it's just like
she sounds southern drawl. Is it's so funny, crack, she says,
the most potty mouth she shows everyone. Bro and Bra

(52:58):
Bra take me to take me this Tizara Bra. I'm like, Bro,
who is your bra? So it's so funny, Buddy, it's
the best, Oh the best.

Speaker 3 (53:10):
I didn't know you guys, I didn't know. We've never
talked about announcers on this show. I never knew you
guys felt that way. I thought I was just the
one that was officials. No, the some of the announcers,
they just bother me. I just.

Speaker 5 (53:25):
I listened to most games on mute, honestly, because yeah,
well if I had three games on it once, I
don't really. I listened to the Red Zone channel. That's
what I keep the volume on it so I could
turn my head back to big plays. And then a
lot of times, like at night, my wife fall asleep
in bed, I put the game on. I just keep
it on mute. I don't need to listen to what
they're saying. I know what's happening. So I don't listen

(53:47):
to all games but the one, the Nebraska game last night. Okay,
so this is this is a fun story about gambling. Okay,
So this is the thing about the public versus like
the sharp thing that I think it's important to talk
about for a long time. I always believe and I
still do believe. Some of this were like, you know,
if everyone's on one side and it's the public side,
and you're on that side too, you should probably be

(54:08):
probably be like, I don't really know. Last night, I
love Nebraska in this game, Brian, We've talked about this.
I had this wager crack in like June Nebraska minus six.
I love this game for Nebraska over Colorado.

Speaker 3 (54:21):
For months now, you've talked about that.

Speaker 5 (54:23):
I couldn't find a single freaking person that I trusted
in this space who had Nebraska with me. Everyone at
Colorado or pass I trust that. I like all the public.
The voice was on Nebraska. All the public was on Nebraska.
I loved it, man, and I was right, easily right.
So like sometimes you have to a cat. If you

(54:43):
if you handicap a game a certain way and you
like it, you it's okay to avoid the noise of
the public verse versus sharp thing, because sometimes you can
be right and the public can be right too.

Speaker 3 (54:54):
That's right. The voice was on the same team as
you the voice and also on Kansas City of that voice.

Speaker 5 (55:00):
It's just like fifty to fifty in college football, So
I don't really it's too many. It's also too many picks.
It's like it's too many and I can't. I can't
fade all of them. I don't have the capacity to
play the ones I like and then also fade the
twelve others that are posted. I can't do that. I
just can't. But nonetheless, you know that's good.

Speaker 4 (55:22):
It is because there are a lot of people that
are like, hey, I want to be sharp.

Speaker 1 (55:26):
The public is on this side. I don't want to
be on the public side.

Speaker 5 (55:31):
Start to interrupt you again. Well, Crack mentioned earlier, guys
about the sharp part. The sharp part of this is
sharp groups take both sides. Some of them bet one
side to get to a certain number and then bet
more money in the or and for sure like bet
back on the other number more money. So you really
even know that, like, we don't know when that's happening
unless Cracks in the game he gets it. I don't.

(55:53):
I know you don't, Brian, unless you have a secret
like dashboard of all the sharp money everywhere. So don't
always don't always change your opinion on something because the
public lecture too, and you don't want to be in
the public side.

Speaker 1 (56:05):
That's great advice. Absolutely.

Speaker 4 (56:06):
We've got Bill Krackenberger from crackwins dot com sports handicapper
Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran.

Speaker 1 (56:12):
I'm Brian No.

Speaker 4 (56:13):

Speaker 1 (57:22):
We got some breaking.

Speaker 2 (57:23):
News, breaking news from Fox Sports.

Speaker 8 (57:29):
NFL Media has reported that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott
has agreed to a new four year, two hundred and
forty million dollar contract with two hundred and thirty one
million guaranteed. That makes him the highest paid player in
NFL history.

Speaker 4 (57:49):
Wow, and on the same field as Deshaun Watson today.

Speaker 5 (57:52):
You know, so he got the he basically Deshaun Watson
got what one million dollars less than Shaun Watson guaranteed.
I think because he had like two thirty two guaranteed.

Speaker 1 (57:59):
I think it was no, it was two thirty show yeah.

Speaker 5 (58:01):
Onellion dollars more.

Speaker 3 (58:03):
Yep, oh boy, we just talked about that. That's amazing.

Speaker 5 (58:08):
Last I'm gonna do a little bit of a math here.
I'm like sixty million a year.

Speaker 3 (58:13):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (58:14):
Yeah, it's actually good. I have an old I know
it's radio. I have like an old school desk calculator
like Brian can see in the zoom. It's just like
keep on my desk because I could do I don't
want to pull my fun on it. I just want
to be able to do it. I'm like the old school,
like it needs like the sun. It's solar powered, and
I'm the battery in it and nothing that's like to
point it like to the sun to the window to
like get the battery to work. It's very fun. It's
like twelve dollars on Amazon sixty years.

Speaker 1 (58:38):
That's a lot. It's a lot of change, you know what.

Speaker 4 (58:41):
We'll circle back to this because we've got Christian Cipolini
with us right now.

Speaker 1 (58:45):
Let's dive into this.

Speaker 3 (58:51):
All right.

Speaker 4 (58:51):
Christian is with us here bet MGM Trading manager on
countdown to kick off. I have inside information that you're
in Italy. Is that correct, Christian?

Speaker 9 (59:00):
That is correct? Yeah? If only this one video I
got a pretty nice postcard view here, man.

Speaker 4 (59:06):
That is beautiful. Okay, so let's do a two parter.
You and then betting right, So, what is your greatest
need today in Italy? Right, just in your personal life?
And what is betmgm's greatest need in terms of all
the NFL action today?

Speaker 9 (59:22):
Yeah, my greatest need is finding a sports for and
that's going to have the games on. I'll be able
to watch. But for BETMGM, it's going to be it's
gonna be the Patriots most likely. We have taken nothing
but Bengals actions, even though it looks like Jamar Chase
is questionable, it might not even play, but still it's
not taken much action. There's still some sharps that got
that at nine, but we're down to seven and a

(59:43):
half now. We still taking Bengals action everywhere.

Speaker 5 (59:46):
We've talked a lot about sort of public versus sharp money,
especially in week one. How much do you put into
those splits for days like today when we've had months
to wager on these games. Sharps hit'll hit these all
the way back in May when numbers came out, some
hit them today. Something like, how do you put in
a context the money you're seeing today versus where it

(01:00:09):
might be for a week eight weekend.

Speaker 9 (01:00:12):
Yeah, right, I mean kind of like what we said
first thing. Week one is always really hard because it's
branding the teams, not a lot of unknowns and trying
to figure something out them. And like you said, these
markets have been open since May, so a lot of
the movement has already come. A lot of the sharps
have already taken the bets, and a lot of them
took it months ago, so we haven't had like too
too much movement. There hasn't actually been a ton of

(01:00:32):
injury news either, which is helped. I'd say that Bengals
lined at least in the past like a couple of days,
is probably the one that's moved the most. So yeah,
a lot of today is a lot of more public
action because it's sharps that month to attack these lines.

Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
Hey, Christian, early morning, about two and a half hours ago,
we get our emails from John Ewing with the most
bet teams handle and also tickets. I'm seeing the Titans
at the top of that, and I was really shocked
by that. The Titan plus four Is that still something
that you guys took? I just didn't see these ugly
type of teams being the most bet games anywhere. I

(01:01:09):
was shocked to see the Titans even the Panthers set
Number two on the handle was the Panthers. Is that
still the case that you got the Titans and Panthers
or the bulk of the money comes in today and
that will iron out where the bets come in.

Speaker 9 (01:01:22):
Yeah, I mean probably a lot of that is due
to the sharp action that comes earlier and people betting
that throughout the season, because a good chunk of our
percentage of money is going to come in now. I
think we take about fifty percent of the money that
we're going to take in these last two hours, So
more of the public's going to pile on now, and
I would expect to see that more on games like
the Dolphins and more public heavy favorite teams.

Speaker 4 (01:01:45):
Any other surprises for you, Christian, Like Crack was just
mentioning you surprised that there's so much money on the Titans.
But how about you with any line movement or where
the bulk of the money is on a certain game,
anything stand out to you as a surprise.

Speaker 9 (01:02:00):
Yeah? What I was running through these before this and
looking the Titans were the biggest surprise to me because
they were the only dog that was taking you know,
more or pretty close action to what the favorite is.
Everyone else we're mostly taking favorite action, which as usual,
but the Titans was the one that we took a
lot on and I found that a bit surprising. I mean,
that line, maybe you could argue was a little bit

(01:02:22):
high for a rookie quarterback. But I was surprised. It's
not like the Titans are you know, world beaters either,
so I was shocked to see that. I was also
a little bit shocked. I thought personally we would end
up taking more Colt action with them being at home.
But that line is trended towards the Texans, and we've
taken mostly Texans action too there, So that was the
other one that caught me.

Speaker 5 (01:02:44):
Steelers, will they have an announce that the Russell Wilson
fields and actually should be right now, it's eleven thirty,
it's ninet minutes before the game. I'm curious if they
announced who's going to start. There's the money swinging in
either direction, you think, depending who starts that game for
the Steelers.

Speaker 9 (01:02:58):
Yeah, I mean, not too much movement there. I mean
when we did open this a few months back, it
was Falcons fintus three and we're at four now. I'm
seeing a couple of books go into three and a half,
So a little bit movement towards the Steelers, But we
really haven't seen too too much that I could comment on.
I would say here, at least ratings wise, it seems
like they're pretty similar in regards to this, or at

(01:03:22):
least in terms of what we're coming from the spread.

Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
Christian, what futures are you seeing that you guys have
the most risk or exposure on this season? What'd you
guys get? Maybe not only season wins over under. I'm
looking at that people bet large amounts of money on
to win the Super Bowl, to maybe even win the
you know, NFC, AFC. Are anyone stand out? Any one
team stand out that you say, Wow, I can't believe

(01:03:46):
how much money we have on this particular team. Maybe
it's a Houston or something. Any idea on that?

Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (01:03:53):
For us, that is by far the Detroit Lions. Pretty
much since we've opened, they reliability and there are our
biggest liability by a wide margin. I think this will
be a season or I guess we'll see, but I
think most of the time. Every game, I know, at
least this game so far, we're gonna want the Rams
because we're taking a ton of lines. Actually regular season

(01:04:14):
wins over pretty much you name the market. We've taken
lines money all off season.

Speaker 4 (01:04:19):
Wow, interesting stuff, Christian, Well, hey, man, enjoy the time
in Italy. Hopefully, hopefully you find a sports bar that
has wall to wall football on there, man, and we'll
catch you soon.

Speaker 1 (01:04:29):
Man, have a good day.

Speaker 9 (01:04:30):
Excited to be back. Thanks again for having.

Speaker 4 (01:04:32):
Me absolutely Man, that's our guy. Christian Cippolini bet MGM
trading manager. And how about this real fast crack where
he was just mentioning all the Lions bets. But man,
think about what happened with Jordan Love, the Packers quarterback,
where he's got the sprained MCL. We were worried it
could have been worse. He got injured like this knee

(01:04:53):
injury and the final seconds against the Eagles in Brazil,
and they're hoping he's only out for three to four weeks.
We'll see there whispers about them maybe signing Ryan Tannehill.
But all that just it made me think of it
because of your question crack where you're talking about futures
in season long win total bets. If you're holding a
Packers ticket and you're watching them about to lose in

(01:05:14):
week one and then maybe lose Jordan love for who
knows how long. It's crazy how things can swing like that.
You make all these bets based on paper. Football is
not played on paper, man. The craziest stuff happens every
single year.

Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
I want to know what Christian's doing over in Italy.
Do they have a trading best there or it can't
be on vacation the first week of the season.

Speaker 1 (01:05:36):
I don't know, man, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:05:37):
He's asked them.

Speaker 1 (01:05:38):
Yeah, we should have missed opportunity right there.

Speaker 4 (01:05:41):
All right, we'll get to a new feature on the
show regarding touchdowns. Huh, something to keep your eye on.
First though, Isaac lohen Kron always scoring touchdowns for us.

Speaker 1 (01:05:51):
He's got the latest.

Speaker 8 (01:05:52):
Yeah, not much going on today, right, guys. We start
with the enormous news in the NFL media reporting Dallas
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has agreed to a new four year,
two hundred and forty million dollar contract with two hundred
and thirty one million dollars guaranteed. That makes him the

(01:06:14):
highest paid player in NFL history. So for most of
America today, you will not have as good of a
day as Dak Prescott, but you seemingly won't have as
bad of a day at least so far as Tyreek Hill.
Because the Miami Dolphin star receiver was briefly detained and
handcuffed by police today due to a driving violation one

(01:06:38):
block away from hard Rock Stadium preceding their game today
against Jacksonville. The Dolphins say Hill will play today. ESPN
reported Hill was cited for reckless driving and was placed
in handcuffs after getting into a verbal altercation with police.
Justin Fields will start today at quarterback for the Pittsburgh

(01:06:59):
Steelers to Russell Wilson's cap injury, while Cincinnati Bengals receiver
Jamar Chase is active for their game today against the
New England Patriots. Fellas back to you, Thank you, I
lowe Hey all season long. Bet MGM's offering you a
second chance on your first touchdown bet in the NFL.

(01:07:20):
When a customer plays an NFL wager on a first
touchdown scorer bet and he doesn't score first but score second,
bet MGM will return one hundred of their stake.

Speaker 1 (01:07:30):
Back in cash.

Speaker 4 (01:07:32):
And this is our new feature here right, So we're
looking for a first touchdown scorer any game you want
to go to. You know, crack, you got anything circled
over there on your card if you want to go
with the first touchdown score first NFL Sunday here of
the season.

Speaker 3 (01:07:47):
They usually don't like these type of bets because they're
so heavily juiced. But let's go with tonight's game. Let's
go with the Lions running back David Montgomery to score
first against the Rams plus six to one. Everyone remembers
just start Montgomery got off to last season. The Lions
now they like to give it to him close to
the goal line and more than their other running back Gibs.
So the Rams, also, the Rams Russian defense should be

(01:08:10):
worse this year. Future Hall of Famer Aaron Donald retired
this offseason at thirty two years old.

Speaker 1 (01:08:17):
There we go, there it is. What do you think, Jeff,
you want to get in on this?

Speaker 5 (01:08:23):
Yeah, I'm looking right now like the Bells to score
a bunch of points. Let's see first touchdown, superigo, give
me like a I could do a James Cook plus
seven hundred plus seven hundred, they get close to the
end zone and they run in early with with Cook.
How about that?

Speaker 3 (01:08:40):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (01:08:41):
Like that?

Speaker 5 (01:08:42):
You I don't play these markets very much, to be honest,
I know I'm getting into them more and more as
we as we you know, dive deeper into more options
for your way daring menu.

Speaker 4 (01:08:51):
You know what, let's uh, let's tie an earlier story
to the president. Right now, Tyreek Hill, right, Tyreek Hill
gets to the end zone first in this Jags doll. Okay,
this game, I'll go with that. It's easy to remember,
you know, five to one. So there you go. So
you're all over the Bills scoring a bunch of points

(01:09:12):
here today, Hanja.

Speaker 5 (01:09:13):
Yeah. I mean look, okay, I'm gonna pull up right
now because I just want to make sure that we
do this. We have this fair discussion about about what
the Arizona Cardinals are rocking with you, I know, Crack,
you know you're not studying rosters quite like maybe Brian
I do. But Brian, I'm gonna read you the Cardinals front.

Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
Seven Okay, Okay, yeah, ready, yep.

Speaker 5 (01:09:28):
Blid Nichols, Roy Lopez, Justin Jones. So three three all stars,
three studs, uh pass Rusher, Dennis gardeck uh, Kazire White winebacker,
Macolson Senior. There we get someone, you know, Xavian Collins.
That's their front seven.

Speaker 4 (01:09:50):
Yeah, it's uh, it's not elite, I would say, not elite.

Speaker 5 (01:09:55):
Secondary, Sean Murphy, Bunting, Buddha Baker, Jalen Thompson, Starling Thomas,
the fifth vis a fifth right, five yeah right, yeah, yeah,
and Garrett Williams.

Speaker 4 (01:10:10):
Yeah, it's not a star studded defense. There's no doubt
about that. And uh, you know, when you're reading that off,
it makes me think of James Cook, the Bills running back,
you know, touch down.

Speaker 1 (01:10:22):
Yeah right.

Speaker 4 (01:10:23):
And that's the thing, man is you look at this
new wide receiver group for the Bills. You've got key
On Coleman, who's a rookie. The only wide receiver who's
caught a pass from Josh Allen is Khalil Shakir. That's it,
the only wide receiver. And so I wonder how much
they're gonna feed James Cook, especially in a matchup like this.

Speaker 5 (01:10:42):
You know, yeah, well I think that's what you know,
what you feel like, that's where they're gonna have to go, right.
So that's why I like that sort of that wager
a little bit even you know, even more, I think
that the Bills will fight something to say. I think, Josh,
they're at home like they're gonna this could be a
high scoring game. I think Arizona might might people to
score too. So that's why you know, I go with

(01:11:03):
the Bills here.

Speaker 3 (01:11:03):
This was the shocking move of the day to me,
by the way, I yesterday I watched a podcast someone
I really respect made a really good case for this
to be a high scoring game. Wake up this morning,
come on air here and see the game move two
points down. Shocked. It was forty seven and a half
here in town, down to like forty five and a
half Arizona Buffalo forty six bet MGM under money. It

(01:11:27):
shocks me. I'm not betting the game. I'm rooting for you, actually, Jeff.

Speaker 5 (01:11:31):
Oh, thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:11:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:11:35):
Like that's real fast, though, crack for a game that
you're initially it's not on your radar, but it moves
so much.

Speaker 3 (01:11:42):
Open forty eight and a half right, right, at.

Speaker 4 (01:11:44):
What point do you feel compelled to like, Okay, it's
new so much I gotta get involved.

Speaker 3 (01:11:48):
I mean maybe forty five, I mean yeah, And there
was a couple of forty five's here in Vegas for
a second. So it just seems like I was when
I see it this morning move so much it almost
seemed fake to me. But it's because the key sports
books in the world have forty five and a half
on this game, and I just you know, like I
said yesterday this podcast, I really respect the guy on

(01:12:10):
the podcast, and it's one of the overs he picked
and expected both offense from Buffalo and Arizona, by the way,
So to see this game move down three points is
almost shocking to me.

Speaker 1 (01:12:21):
Wow, interesting stuff. Okay, well, it's time to bond right
around the corner. Huh. Prop it up, all the prop bets.

Speaker 4 (01:12:29):
It's a huge market and something that we have you
dive headfirst into. There's one with the Sunday night game.
I think you probably know where we're going with this, Jeff.
We'll get to it right around the corner.

Speaker 5 (01:12:42):
Where oh we're already.

Speaker 4 (01:12:45):
Yeah, it's not exactly a high total for either guy,
but it's a lot of fun. Nevertheless, we'll get into
that little sub section of the prop market. So we've
got Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran Bill Krackenberger from
Crack wins dot Com sports handicapper. I'm Brian No the
bonding section of the program. Coming up here to prop

(01:13:05):
it up on the way, we'll have some picks for you.
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by BETMGM.
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by
Bett MGM. Once a day, Monday through Friday, play the

(01:13:26):
If that team covers the spread that NFL week, you
can win prizes.

Speaker 1 (01:13:31):
Play every day Monday through Friday.

Speaker 4 (01:13:33):
Have all five of your teams cover, and you're eligible
to win betmgm's weekly jackpot.

Speaker 1 (01:13:39):
All right, let's do this.

Speaker 7 (01:13:43):
Prop it up plays all right, prop bets galore, Crack.

Speaker 1 (01:13:50):
We'll start with you.

Speaker 4 (01:13:51):
I know you got a handful of these bad boys circle.
Give us one right here.

Speaker 3 (01:13:55):
I have so many. Really, let's start out with the
Raiders Mere White over. I think it's fifty five. I
got the MGM line is fifty five and a half. Yes,
over fifty five and a half rushing yards. Yep, there
it is. We were right. Listen. I think the Raiders
are are going to be really run heavy this year,

(01:14:15):
and I think he's going to be the workhorse on
the team. So let's start out on and over. I
have a really good under at the end of the show, though,
So I have a really I'm really strong on a
prop that I really love betting against this guy sOliver
right right now, let's give this over out.

Speaker 5 (01:14:32):
Okay. I like bow Knicks under one hundred and ninety
eight point five passing yards on the road is first
game in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:14:43):
What's the number a game?

Speaker 5 (01:14:44):
Jeff point five?

Speaker 1 (01:14:46):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (01:14:48):
I like Jacoby Brissette under two ten point five passing
yards on the road. The three of us might be
better than the new England wide receiving course, so I'll
figure out. The only problem with the set one that
I worry about is fourth quarter trying to come back.
I don't worry so much about that with Nix's case,

(01:15:09):
but Brissette, that's my concern. You get behind. But there's
also a chance that Drake may comes in at some
point today Prissette gets beat up, right, like, I mean,
there's just the Pacheovi's line is not good too. I'm
comfortable with it with those two being the ones, and
you don't like this quarterback unders all of you, Brian
do the honors for what happens to be our favorite

(01:15:32):
wagers each week.

Speaker 4 (01:15:34):
Well, I'll give you one first and then I'll mention
what you're talking about here. I'm gonna go with Joe
Burrow under twenty three and a half completions. Okay, where
I just think against this Patriots team, especially if they
have a lead in the fourth quarter, might be running
the ball just trying to get out of there. Yeah,
you'd most likely have Jamar Chase on a pitch count today.

Speaker 1 (01:15:56):
Probably no t Higgins. He's doubtful with the hammy.

Speaker 4 (01:15:58):
I don't know that he's been ruled out, but most
people are expecting him not to play. So I just
he doesn't have his full complement of guys.

Speaker 3 (01:16:07):
Now.

Speaker 4 (01:16:08):
He might dump it off handful of times to his
running backs. Chase Brown is a good back out of
the backfield. But I just think that the Bengals most
likely will be up in the fourth quarter and they're
not looking to air it out. I will take Joe
Burrow under twenty three and a half completions. But the
bet that you're talking about here, Jeff we go to

(01:16:29):
Sunday night.

Speaker 1 (01:16:30):
Huh.

Speaker 4 (01:16:30):
We're looking at the quarterback rushing yards for both Matthew
Stafford and Jared Goff.

Speaker 1 (01:16:36):
It's at point five.

Speaker 4 (01:16:38):
Okay, So either of these guys a little quarterback sneak
for a yard. You know, we need a first down
on fourth and one. Let's go for it. What do
you think you're going with the over on Stafford or golf?

Speaker 5 (01:16:48):
So I went over Stafford minus one oh five. The
Rams offense lines rebuilt Lions. You rush the passer if
it's a situation where you're gonna have have, you know,
a yard or two, And I don't think they're I
don't think there'll be in a situation to neil at
the end of the game. Like that's the problem with
like the Lions, that the lines are winning golfsk and
kneel and you're you're done though, So give me Stafford

(01:17:11):
here over over half a yard at rushing.

Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
That is the worst the kneel downs at the end
of a game. Have you ever lost a bet on that?

Speaker 3 (01:17:19):
Before Super Bowl?

Speaker 5 (01:17:21):
Mahomes did that. He took five He took five yards
a loss. Remember that he took five yards a loss. Yeah,
I have a pet peeve in mind getting to it
to college football is did they include they include rush
just in general generally speaking, they include sack yards right

(01:17:41):
on onto the rushing. So like last time I'm watching
the Organ game, They're like, Oregon's only had nineteen yards rushing.
I'm like, James has fifty seven yards. They running back.
The problem is we got sacked four times. Like it's
it's not it's not a representative of what's actually happening
on the field.

Speaker 1 (01:17:55):
I don't know why they do that.

Speaker 5 (01:17:57):
It makes no If you want to include it, fine,
like have a separate stat that's like, here's the rushing
yards from the rushing group of players. Because like I was,
you know, someone last night was early. He was like,
Oregon can't run the football. They're minus six ago. They've
rushed the ball six times for thirty yards. That's five
yards to carry. That's great. The sacks, don't. The sacks
are different. Did you count those? If? It blows my mind, dude,

(01:18:20):
it really frustrates me.

Speaker 4 (01:18:21):
It is the worst if you're on a in college
like Jeff's talking about, if you're taking the over on
a quarterback's rushing yards.

Speaker 5 (01:18:30):
To me, you just can't do it.

Speaker 4 (01:18:31):
It's got to be like Jayden Daniels when he was
at LSU or Jalen Biro with Bamba or something like that. Right,
he drops back, Okay, you're over. Let's say you're over
forty two and a half. This guy is rushed for
fifty yards. You're like, we're good. Nope, he just got
sacked for a loss of nine. You're under that number. Now,

(01:18:51):
it's the worst it.

Speaker 5 (01:18:53):
Unless it's really do it unless like a mill row, right,
like someone who's gonna run the ball. You get a
hundred yard rushing, you can't do it?

Speaker 1 (01:18:59):
No rough right there? Anything else?

Speaker 3 (01:19:01):
Crack?

Speaker 1 (01:19:01):
I know you're saving.

Speaker 3 (01:19:02):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:19:03):
I like that, you know by the way you got it? Yeah? Yeah,
I think he texted us please, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:19:08):
Well text you.

Speaker 5 (01:19:09):
Yeah, but it's I very much.

Speaker 3 (01:19:11):
Uh do you agree with that one? Right? I think?

Speaker 5 (01:19:14):
Oh yeah, it's it's the quarterback of New Orleans.

Speaker 3 (01:19:16):
Right.

Speaker 5 (01:19:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:19:17):
I love betting against him anyway, I really do so.

Speaker 5 (01:19:21):
Three fourteen and one against the spread. It's last seventeen
times as a favorite.

Speaker 4 (01:19:27):
Hey are you guys big in the interception market?

Speaker 1 (01:19:30):
Do you look at that at all? Just to throw
an interception? Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:19:33):
Or no?

Speaker 3 (01:19:34):
Sometimes I will when mahomes believe it or not, I'll
look at that sometimes too much, but you.

Speaker 5 (01:19:38):
Will know the truth about like this weekend is I've
been thinking about these games for so long, Yeah, that
I can't even get my brain to like think of
alternate props right now. Like I gambled so much yesterday,
I shouldn't have. I just talented everything out. There's way
too many wagers. I'm trying to like, I'm trying to.

(01:19:58):
It's it's like, it's the dumb stuff, right, It's like
the live wages I took that don't make that just
that's why I track the man like they're just bad.
I just did some stupid things. So I'm trying to
stay away from my exotic props.

Speaker 1 (01:20:11):
You consider interception bets exotic?

Speaker 5 (01:20:14):
Uh, yeah, because it's they're not always like it's it's.

Speaker 1 (01:20:19):
Luck sometimes random.

Speaker 5 (01:20:21):
Yeah, this is random opinion.

Speaker 1 (01:20:22):
Yeah, I hear it.

Speaker 3 (01:20:23):
They have meetings in your area, Just to let you
know I have meetings, all.

Speaker 1 (01:20:29):
Right, come it up.

Speaker 4 (01:20:29):
Next we get to the primetime games and was this
the correct move?

Speaker 3 (01:20:35):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:20:35):
Welcome in Happy week.

Speaker 3 (01:20:38):
One to you.

Speaker 4 (01:20:39):
We are knee deep and just less than an hour
away from kickoff. Here first NFL Sunday of the season,
and before we get to the primetime matchups, which we
are very very excited for, how about Dak Prescott getting
paid the day of we one and so think about

(01:21:02):
this on the uh on the other side of the field,
that's Deshaun Watson, right, it's Cowboys taking on the Browns today.
Deshaun Watson well documented the two hundred and thirty million
dollars fully guaranteed contract. Dak Prescott gets two hundred and
thirty one million dollars guaranteed. It's a four year deal

(01:21:22):
for two forty Listen, Dak Prescott is a good quarterback,
but that is really really pricey right there. And I
just want to say this real fast because you hear
this quite a bit. Well, if you don't pay Dak,
someone else will good let him?

Speaker 1 (01:21:39):
Like that's what I say. He's two five in the postseason.

Speaker 3 (01:21:42):
I agree. I agree with all this one hundred percent
is better than him out there to make him the
highest paid quarterback. Jesus insane and Salva. I look at
ma homes contract now, which we don't was crazy at
the time. I guess he deserves more.

Speaker 5 (01:21:56):
I mean, he's here's here's the problem, guys about this
discussion and something I I've just sort of a bout
about this discussion about you know, you know, quarterback pay.
Because correct, Brian, people listen. You might say, hey, don't
pay Dak Prescott, but let's talk about the options or
the options. If you don't pay Dak Prescott, you let

(01:22:16):
him walk, you get nothing in return, right, we get
nothing if you trade him. Was he was? Was he
his last year as deal? O? Brian?

Speaker 1 (01:22:23):
I can't remember if he was?

Speaker 5 (01:22:24):
Okay, So let's say you tag and trade him. Let's
just say you tag and I'm not even sure he
was allowed to be tagged because typically.

Speaker 1 (01:22:30):
You get a second contract.

Speaker 5 (01:22:31):
Yeah, most times you get a second contract. Part of
the second contract that you can't be tagged. So they
weren't gonna let him walk for nothing. Okay, So let's
say you trade him at some point I don't know when.
They don't have to trade him before this season obviously, right,
because you know you can't term after the season. It's
not part of your team anymore. So then you're punting
on it this season. Essentially, when you've won thirty six

(01:22:54):
games the last three seasons, they've been twelve to five
thirst straight seasons. So let's just say that you let
him go after the season. What do you do, Crack?
What do you do?

Speaker 3 (01:23:02):
Brian?

Speaker 5 (01:23:02):
Do you draft shdur Sanders Quinn yours, Carson Beck? Like,
what's the what's the what's the plan? Do you hope that, uh,
you know what, Drake May takes over and you have
Jacobe Brissett Like like, like, what's the what's the plan?
Do you hope that that jameis Winston's you're filling for
two years? That's not a plan. That's nothing. It's what

(01:23:25):
the It's It's what bad teams do, right, is they
they they get Derek Carr for two or three years
as a bridge or something else. To Spencer Rattler, you know,
bad teams do that. Good teams, good organizations say look, men,
we found a franchise guy. We might not think that
he is the best quarterback of all time, but here's
the deal, guys, And this sport it's changing a little

(01:23:47):
bit in in baseball, a little bit, not so much
in basketball. Obviously college basketball won and done it's certainly
this way, but the NFL playoffs always feel like it.
I guess it's different. With the Chief's been so good,
but it's more of like a win. Get in anything
can happen, right, get in anything can happen. And let's
say the Cowboys get in one year. Let's it it

(01:24:08):
a one seed and they get a team an upset
in week one and they get the seven six or
seven seed now in division round, and I know you're
hostly answer to it. Can it can flip pretty quickly.
That's what you hope for. You get in the dance,
something breaks your way, and all of a sudden you're
in the super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (01:24:25):
I know I can understand all of that.

Speaker 4 (01:24:29):
But what we've seen to this point says Dak Prescott
shouldn't be the top paid quarterback in the NFL. And
that's what the Cowboys just need him. And I know
the unknown is scary. It's like, look at the Broncos too.
The Broncos are like, yeah, screw it, Russ isn't working out.
And I'm not saying Dak is Russ. Make that clear,
but they're like, yeah, we'll eat sixty five.

Speaker 1 (01:24:50):
Million or whatever.

Speaker 4 (01:24:51):
Okay, cool, what's your what's your plan? I don't know,
We'll figure it out as we go along.

Speaker 5 (01:24:55):
That was that was a but that was a year.
This is a year with a unique year. We had
five guys or whatever. It's drafting top twelve. I don't
this is not to me. It's not that draft as
of right now. And you have to look about do
you have to think about that as I mean forward? Plus,
the Broncos are a different stage than the Cowboys are
as far as the need to win and sort of
where their roster is.

Speaker 4 (01:25:15):
Well, that's the other part though, too, is when you
pay Dak that much money, you got to skimp elsewhere.
And with this two and five playoff record, and listen,
some of those losses are on him. The two interceptions
on the road against San Francisco. It's a low scoring
game like nineteen to twelve. That was horrible, that game
that got completely outplayed last year by Jordan Love, you know,

(01:25:36):
and it's like, when are we going to move forward
at And that's what you.

Speaker 3 (01:25:40):
Get paid the playoffs those situations, you're right, So.

Speaker 5 (01:25:43):
Okay, So like what about Lamar Jackson, who seemingly can't
beat the Chiefs, doesn't play on the playoffs? Do you
not pay him either?

Speaker 1 (01:25:50):
Well, you got to the AFC title game. At least
you know it's a two time MVP.

Speaker 5 (01:25:54):
Look at the standard is like, what are you doing
the postseason? A lot of quarterback shouldn't get paid.

Speaker 4 (01:25:58):
Well, but it's all so you've got to skimp if
you're paying him that much money. Lamar Jackson isn't the
highest paid quarterback and they but the.

Speaker 5 (01:26:06):
Cowboys are young. It's offensive line now, they got young
pretty quickly. They're like, they're gonna have to be young.
That's what the Chiefs are doing, right. They're young in
a lot of positions they are.

Speaker 4 (01:26:14):
But that's why I don't know why we wouldn't do
that with quarterback, right, Like, here's the thing, real fast
is I think that we're looking at it only on
one side of the coin. And I'm not saying you're
doing this, Jeff, I'm just saying this is typically how
the conversation goes where it's like.

Speaker 1 (01:26:30):
I would, but I don't think I would. Trust me.

Speaker 4 (01:26:34):
I think that if you don't have a quarterback, you're screwed.

Speaker 1 (01:26:38):
We all know that.

Speaker 4 (01:26:39):
But if you're overpaying your quarterback, you're still screwed that
way too.

Speaker 1 (01:26:44):
Like this is monster.

Speaker 4 (01:26:46):
Money for Dak And don't get me wrong, he's good,
but he's not that good. And when you have to
start skimping around him when they haven't had playoffs success,
what do you think is gonna happen when they start
skimping around him.

Speaker 1 (01:26:59):
It's not gonna lead to more success.

Speaker 3 (01:27:01):
He's not.

Speaker 5 (01:27:02):
It's scary to your point, he's not. He's not a program,
program franchise elevator, right, but he's not. He's not making
everyone around him better. Where you see other quarterbacks do that,
like like like like to to my point, like I
think Lamar makes everyone around him better.

Speaker 1 (01:27:17):
Well, yeah, that's the thing.

Speaker 4 (01:27:19):
Is the last little note is you know you hear this, like, well,
if Dallas didn't pay him, somebody else would ask yourself this,
other situations would be better for Dak around the league.
I mean, really, you've got Micah Parsons, you've got a
real defense, you've got Ceedee Lamb one of the best
weapons in the game.

Speaker 1 (01:27:38):
Like, you've got enough around you.

Speaker 4 (01:27:39):
He could go to other situations where the talent around
him isn't as good as it is with the Cowboys,
and still they're doing nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:27:47):
A lot of that falls on Dack.

Speaker 4 (01:27:48):
Okay, if we look at the primetime matchups here, rams
At the Lions Sunday night football. We mentioned the uh
the elevated market for the prop betting rushing yards for
Stafford and Goff.

Speaker 1 (01:28:01):
Imagine that.

Speaker 4 (01:28:02):
But in all seriousness, Stafford going back again to Detroit.
This is where the Rams season ended last season. No,
Aaron Donald, you mentioned this, crack. I mean, what do
you think in this matchup?

Speaker 3 (01:28:13):
Here? To me?

Speaker 1 (01:28:14):
Four and a half? I'm getting the Rams plus four
and a half. That's the side I'm on.

Speaker 4 (01:28:19):
I don't know if you guys are laying it with Detroit,
but I get more than a field goal on the
road with the Rams week one. You know, I'll take that.
I think that Stafford and Pokin Nakua. I expect Cooper
Cup to have a resurgence. Kyron Williams is a handful.
That Rams running game is overlooked quite a bit. We
tend to focus on McVeigh in the passing game, but

(01:28:41):
that running game is real. I think they can absolutely
match points with the Lions. I'm taking the Rams plus
the points in this one.

Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
Wow, I'll tell you. You know, you heard what Christian said.
It didn't shock weight because it's a Sunday night primetime game.
But I guess it did that. It was all Lions money.
He says that they have nothing. But Lions don't forget
bet MGM has a big presence in Michigan. So that
also is is going to be a lot of home
team cooking. But you know, this is a this is

(01:29:11):
a game that you know, it's a primetime game. Everyone's
gonna be betting. And if you look at the two teams,
everyone loves everyone loves the Lions. It's the number one
risk exposure that that MGM bet MGM is has is
on these Lions. So and it's not only them, it's Vegas,
It's it's it's all these big sports books. Yeah, people

(01:29:33):
love the Lions this year. You know, I don't think
it's ever been more hype going into a Detroit Lions
season than this year. After last year's close missed Detroit
is just buzzing with Super Bowl talk. The Lions are
the third favorite to win it All at the sports
books like eleven to one, twelve to one. Campbell very
likable guy, but probably made some costly decisions last year's playoffs.

(01:29:54):
I'm you know, the Rams, like you said, Matt Stafford
looked for some revenge of this game. He spent his
first eleven seasons there. I gotta tell you, I am
going to watch this game and enjoy the game. Four
and a half might be too much. You're right, because
this is all public money too, and it's going to
be a lot of people betting on the Lions. I

(01:30:15):
like to be on the bookmaker's side, and like you said, there,
the Rams plus four and a half might might be
the right side there, Brian.

Speaker 5 (01:30:22):
My only coin turn with the Rams is they've restructured
their offensive line again. They had an idea of what
the line was gonna be heading in the camp and
then restructured it. And two, as you know, you just
don't have Donald, right, like, I want to see what
that defense looks like without the best player on defense
last ten years the NFL. I think the Rams are
sort of a wait and see team right now? Guys,

(01:30:44):
where you like the idea of the Rams? I think
McVeigh and Stafford I don't think. I know they win
a lot of games, are a good pair together, but
there's some wait and seek components. That's right. You have
wide receivers coming off injuries, offensive line question marks. How
do you replace Donald? It's fair for us to say look,
let's just two crackspa, Let's watch the game and you

(01:31:05):
have Montgomery props. I know that crack like, let's just
watch the game, see what happens, and then we could
figure out our rams wagers for the rest of the
season based off of tonight.

Speaker 4 (01:31:17):
Yeah, I mean you can. I'm gonna be invested. No
problem with what you said right there.

Speaker 5 (01:31:25):
I don't know if if you're allowed to admit like
you might not stay awake for games. But I I've
been under the weather and I I took some imagine
yesterday that made me feel a lot better. But it's
a steroid and it kind of perks you up a
little bit. I have not slept very much, I'll be quite.
I was up till two o'clock watching that game last night.
I woke up at six thirty. There's a strong likelihood,
Brian in Crack that your boy is fast asleep by

(01:31:48):
like a thirty tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:31:50):
So kidd really, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:31:51):
I don't think it's not It might not be worth
it to me, and I gotta figure it out. I
gotta figure it out. I can't make midnight again, I'll
tell you that. So well, see how'll go. I might
not be up to for the game. I don't have
to wait, wait, wake up in the morning and see
the prop wagers cash the stafford over rush. I know
Brinell text me when it hits and see what happens.

Speaker 4 (01:32:11):
It's like we got there, except the Neil downs. You
never know about the Neil.

Speaker 5 (01:32:16):
Whoost to watch a game at ten pm Eastern. Come on, guys,
can you least hook me up with Oregon a little
bit earlier? I think it's our last note. We play
a five nine Eastern game coming up soon, But how
about this three thirty next Saturday. I can't believe it.
Three thirty Eastern.

Speaker 4 (01:32:28):
I'd say this real fast is if you're shelling out
extra money for p Kroc is what I call it.

Speaker 3 (01:32:35):
It was bad.

Speaker 5 (01:32:36):
It was bad last you.

Speaker 4 (01:32:36):
Can't have technical difficulties. I'm sorry, Like it's not, no,
it can't.

Speaker 5 (01:32:41):
I thought it was just mine. I thought was just me,
But then they announced it on the Age of Soleano said,
I'm sorry, Uh, that's I the thing.

Speaker 4 (01:32:49):
Yeah, that we should get our money back if you
have technical difficulties, we get nine months free. That those
are the rules, right, we get.

Speaker 5 (01:32:58):
There was none of that for the Eagles game. Though,
right in Brazil.

Speaker 1 (01:33:00):
Yeah, same thing.

Speaker 5 (01:33:01):
Oh happened. I was at a people said there was
I didn't have it, but I watched them. I was
a little Friday night lights at the little high school game.
Oh nice, Yeah, that's the kids. Our quarterback my high
schools looks pretty good. I'm like shocked.

Speaker 1 (01:33:15):
Really, okay, did you like school?

Speaker 5 (01:33:17):
Home?

Speaker 4 (01:33:18):
Drake may go to a high school game and you're like, Man,
if I could get this plus four, I would I
would take that.

Speaker 5 (01:33:24):
You ever think like, if I had known our quarterback
was good, I would take in the over. But I
wasn't available for the Myers Park Mustangs.

Speaker 1 (01:33:31):
Oh man, that is beautiful.

Speaker 3 (01:33:32):
All right.

gonna be the guy for the Jets against the Niners.
Right now said Niners minus four. This line crack has

(01:35:02):
fluctuated quite a bit in the months leading up, especially
this week, but man, we've talked about it a lot
Aaron Rodgers only four snaps last season going up against
the defending NFC champs.

Speaker 1 (01:35:16):
Right, Niners were just in the Super Bowl. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:35:19):
I think that the Jets are gonna be good this year. Rogers,
I expect him to play very well. That's a real defense.
I think the Jets are a real player in the
AFC East. I just think in this spot, that's a
lot to ask like that. The Niners are a well
oiled machine and the Jets they're playing ketchup right here.
I think that's a lot to ask week one on
the road to win a game like this.

Speaker 3 (01:35:41):
Yeah, it is. But you know it's funny. I used
the Jets in all of my contest picks here in
town plus four and a half. I just thought that
was a good number with the four and a half.
You know, Aaron Rodgers is back. Okay, we know that,
but how long for the season. We'll see what happens.
Everyone remember remembers from going down week one last year.

(01:36:01):
But he is a back. He is back from the
Achilles tear, so he didn't play. I didn't. I don't
think he took one snap in preseason. Forty years old.
What can we realistically expect from him. You know, the
forty nine ers hope to not have any effects on
the Super Bowl losing, you know, hangover over top of them,
and you know they are the favorite to win the

(01:36:24):
NFC again. Though brock Purty answered a lot of questions
last year, he was talked about for the MVP for
most of the year until the end of the year.
You know, this is maybe just one of those games
where you sit back and enjoy the game. But I
know it's gonna be tough for people to do Sunday
Monday night game. They have to have action. I'm gonna
have some props or something on it, but I just

(01:36:46):
want to see what happens here. Everyone's looking to see what.
You know, is Aaron Rodgers really back or not? So
four and a half points and plus I'm actually against
the forty nine ers this year on some futures here
in town. I found some eleven and a half wins.
I went under minus a dollar twenty earlier in the season,
so I'll probably be for the Jets in the game,

(01:37:06):
but we'll see what happens.

Speaker 5 (01:37:08):
I have to pay a little bit of attacks on
the Niners under eleven and a half I took a
little bit late to the process, but I'm with you
there on that under eleven and a half Niners wins.
The Jets feel like a team with the Rams that
I talked about, where I kind of want to see
them play before I put any money on the Jets. Yep,

(01:37:30):
Aaron Rodgers has not played with this offensive line yet
an offenseve line, Bob, I have not played with Aaron
Rodgers because they haven't played the preseason together. He's anyone.
He's played four snaps last season. I just got to
see it. I want to see it first. So to me,
this is a stay away game for me. Maybe I'll
find a prop I like somewhere along the lines, but

(01:37:52):
I have nothing on this game. I think that you know,
the number has fluctuated six to three and a half
back to four and a half. Those are not key
numbers as we know, even though we talked about this.
Three and a half is more of a key number
that's been in the past with Pat's being missed, but
nothing that I then. I think I like it the
moment just because I think it's a really a team

(01:38:13):
that when you look at the AFC guys and the
Jets if the Jets are are are kind of get
far in the posting. They're really formidable team, but the
Jets like, I gotta I gotta see it first, you know.
So I'm gonna I'm gonna sit this one out. And
I wish I could give you guys are more definitive

(01:38:34):
you know answer on that, but I just don't see
it right now.

Speaker 4 (01:38:37):
I think the the Niners prop bets are pretty interesting
where Brandon and I Yuk. If I Yuk is on
a pitch count because you just got into you just
got signed, right. If he's on a pitch count, then
you got to divide up the rest of the targets, right.
And so if Debo like Sauce, you'd have to imagine
Sauce Gardner is on Debo a decent amount. Maybe it's

(01:39:00):
a Kittle, you know, Kittle could be a good prop
bet to look at. Maybe it's a guy like Juwan Jennings.
Think about that, where it's only at seventeen and a half.
Normally perty gets him the rock a couple of times.
But if I Yuk is out of the game more
than he normally is and Sauces on Debo, I mean
there should be a couple opportunities for Juan Jennings, So

(01:39:22):
I would look at Kittle and Jennings if you're looking
at that market. Of course, Christian McCaffrey is CMC. I
wonder where you guys come out on this, because I
don't know, man, Christian McCaffrey has been banged up a
lot earlier in his career. He's been blessed with a
lot better health, and he's had just this strong mindset.

Speaker 1 (01:39:40):
He's like, I'm not gonna get hurt.

Speaker 4 (01:39:42):
So far his body has responded to that with the Niners,
but he's had calf and achilles soreness in training camp.
That to me, it's when you start talking about that,
it's like, yeah, Yana said debt to Koombo, He's got
an achilles soreness. It's like, oh, that is not good.
And the next thing you know, he's not playing in
the series against the Pacers. I just do not like

(01:40:04):
hearing that type of lingering, type of issue with Christian McCaffrey,
because man, he makes that offense hum. He doesn't make
it go because it can go without him, but he
makes it hum.

Speaker 5 (01:40:14):
For sure, absolutely absolutely, So uh yeah, I think it's
just just a seize me there a stay away from me.

Speaker 3 (01:40:23):
Yeah, me too. I mean, you know, I'm rooting for
them and Mike in the contest picks here in town.
Like I said, we have about twenty million dollars in
guaranteed money out here in Vegas, and I'm rooting for
them in the contest. I'm just like Jeff said, I
need one game under his belt. I just need to
see Aaron Rodgers one time. I have to see what

(01:40:44):
he's gonna we're gonna do with this team. And you know,
their their their defense. We know is a good defense
to carry him last year, imagine if he was there,
the Jets would have been a playoff team probably. But
so let's see what happens. Let's just have fun and
let's not have a bet on the game. Guys, Okay,
what kind of show is this? Well? Yeah, yeah, kind
of a gambling show is this?

Speaker 1 (01:41:04):
Yeah? How many picks do you make in that contest?

Speaker 3 (01:41:06):
Crack? Is that five? Oh? Boy? I don't want to go.
I'm too embarrassed to tell you. Yeah. I am partners
with so many, I have too much invested, so much
so I had a farm some out, that's what we
call it. Farm some out. I was looking at my
contest and my partnerships, and I'm like, Jesus, I have like,
I don't know, it's a lot. It's a big number.

(01:41:28):
It's like like over twenty five thousand invested in the tournament.
I'm like, you know what, let me give some out
to some guys. Even though it's it's a great tour.
We have a survivor here, fourteen million dollars to the winner.
Usually get split. But you have to go twenty and
oh because they throw these little wrenches in there. You know,
Thanksgiving week, which is four games, three on Thursday, one
on Friday, same thing Christmas. There's twenty weeks. You go

(01:41:51):
twenty and oh, you win fourteen million. It sounds pretty easy.
No points spread, Ah, that sounds easy.

Speaker 1 (01:41:56):
It's very easy.

Speaker 4 (01:41:57):
But for the you always talk about the contest, do
you have to make a certain number of picks each week?

Speaker 3 (01:42:02):
For that five for the millions, we have five picks
there or the Super Bowls contest, so you have five
picks against the spread. The spreads are put out on
Wednesday or Thursday, so you haven't until Saturday to put
them in. You know, let's just be blunt. It's mathematically
around the key numbers, which didn't really move this week.

(01:42:22):
This week is so hard around the key numbers. I'd
like to get some edges there on half of points
around the three and seven, which there was none. Like
I said, the Jets plus four and a half was
like the only thing that I really thought was pretty
key on some of the cards. So we'll see what happens.
Is a fun long season Survivor. I was surprised. I
thought that everyone was going to have Cincinnati like fifty

(01:42:47):
five sixty percent. No, only like thirty percent had the Bengals.
So no points spread. Seattle was the surprise, Like twenty
five percent of the pull out Seattle.

Speaker 5 (01:42:56):
So yeah, can I give you I have a survivor
pool on an app that I'm doing with for my
own podcast. We want to join us on splash Sports.
You have a couple of minutes to still join. I
have two my two entries, you're ready. Have the vikings
for one. I'm doing game theory on this one. Vikings
on one right, no crack, you don't like it.

Speaker 3 (01:43:17):
The vikings are you are your survivor. No point spread
week one, just.

Speaker 5 (01:43:23):
Yeah, I have a couple. I'm gonna buy another one
I'm gonna buy. I'm gonna buy one more today, by
the way, because I'm gonna have one and I want
the other one I'm doing. I'm a little crazy for
this one, I think. But I'm taking the Panthers in
one of them as well, because here's why. Look, it's
not a thousand dollars crack. Okay, so we're not I'm
not spending what you're spending. The Panthers win today? Was

(01:43:44):
I think they're gonna win? How many people are out
in week one?

Speaker 3 (01:43:48):
Yeah, that's wow, I know, I get it, I get it.
Trust me. There's thirteen people that pick the Patriots. Yeah,
thirteen people pick the Patriots.

Speaker 5 (01:43:59):
Also too, can can? Can we crack? So it's one
thousand dollars to enter the the Circle Survivor contest? Right?

Speaker 3 (01:44:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:44:07):
Okay? Forty five people did not make a pick? Did
they do? Those forty five people?

Speaker 3 (01:44:13):
Not? Like forty five thousand dollars in dead money first week?

Speaker 1 (01:44:17):
How does that happen?

Speaker 3 (01:44:18):
How forty five thousand dollars just overlay dead money? People
forgot to put their picks in. Oh, that's unbelievable. Out
of fourteen thousand, two hundred picks, there was, Uh, some
people have forgot I mean two thousand bucks though.

Speaker 1 (01:44:34):
Wow, that's in Jesus all right.

Speaker 4 (01:44:37):
We get to a big gap in terms of talent
in production first though we talk about talent in production.
Our main man, Isaac Lowingcon is with us with the
latest what's going on?

Speaker 1 (01:44:48):
I low, thanks Brian.

Speaker 8 (01:44:49):
And that also applies to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott
because he's agreed to a new four year, two hundred
and forty million dollars deal with two hundred and thirty
one million guaranteed, making him the highest paid player in
all of NFL history. Miami Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill
was briefly detained and handcuffed by police today due to

(01:45:10):
a driving violation one block away from hard Rock Stadium
that Dolphins say. Hill will play today against Jacksonville. He
is officially active. ESPN reports Hill was cited for reckless
driving and was placed in handcuffs after getting into a
verbal altercation with police. Justin Fields will start a quarterback
today for the Steelers, with Russell Wilson inactive due to

(01:45:32):
a calf injury. Bengals receiver Jamar Chase is active for
their game against the New England Patriots receiver T Higgins, however,
inactive because of a hamstring injury. And finally, the NFL
announced that Kendrick Lamar will perform the halftime show at
Super Bowl fifty.

Speaker 2 (01:45:50):
Nine in New Orleans.

Speaker 1 (01:45:52):
On that note, back to you, thank.

Speaker 3 (01:45:54):
You, I Low.

Speaker 4 (01:45:54):

(01:46:17):
one of the games that will highlight very quickly here
is the Texans, very public team. We've talked about this,
but Texans at the Colts one of only two road
favorites this week. So you've got the Texans minus three
against the Colts and you have the Vikings minus one
against the Giants.

Speaker 1 (01:46:38):
That's it for road favorites. But how crazy is this?

Speaker 4 (01:46:41):
How wide of a gap there is between talent and
production with these two quarterbacks c J. Stroud unbelievable rookie season.
Anthony Richardson, Colts second year quarterback, got banged up after
four games last season, didn't throw four hundred passes in college.
He's in ex experience. It is night and day between

(01:47:02):
these two guys right here, right now. And also if
you throw another rookie from last year into the mix,
right the draft class from twenty twenty three, think about
Panthers quarterback Bryce Young, he went number one overall. Think
about the gap between Stroud and Bryce Young right now.
It's astounding. And that's why these teams are where they

(01:47:23):
are and why the Texans are expected to at least
win and cover this game.

Speaker 1 (01:47:28):
Is CJ. Stroud man.

Speaker 4 (01:47:30):
The Texans hit a Grand Slam with that guy at
least through one year.

Speaker 5 (01:47:33):
So I like the Colts today to cover this Young.
I'll tell you why. First of all, the Colts should
have been the Texans last year to win the division
at the end of that season, right and Week eight,
team got to.

Speaker 1 (01:47:43):
Hit the screen pass.

Speaker 5 (01:47:44):
You know, the Texans, They're entering the season guys with expectations.
It's different to play with expectations than it is to
come out of nowhere. And everyone's talking about them. We've
talked about them, guys talk about the Texans. The Colts
meanwhile just kind of like under the radar. I think

(01:48:04):
their coach is outstanding in Shane Steiken. This physical spot
where you come out dead if you're not dead, if
you're the Texans. But like the idea of like we
roll our helmet out there, because with the Texans, they
haven't had to play yet with expectations, and so I
think the Colts can sneak in that. There's always a
funky game in Week one where the you know, the
underdog wins at home. They shouldn't. They shouldn't win it

(01:48:26):
at home. And divisional dogs week one ten are very
good wager at home guys. And again I don't like
to blindly bet trends. But the reason why is typically
you know the team's very well right, you study them
all off season, and in this specific spot, again, you
have a healthy Anthony Richardson hasn't played very much, but

(01:48:48):
dynamic with this legs can make plays. I like the
Colts here to cover the spread. I told me you
put them in a teaser with the Bears with the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (01:48:56):
Hey, you know this line it's actually didn't. It really
didn't is a. But it opened up at one and
a half, two up to three now and I probably
expected Houston to be getting the the you know, the
the money in this game. But I do lean to
your side also with the Colts. You know, here's another team.
Like I said, these Texans just hyped up coming into

(01:49:18):
this season. No one expected the Texans to get into
the playoffs last year and actually win. You win a
game with the rookie quarterback, but that's exactly what they did.
So this offseason they signed the top tier who they
signed Digs Stefan Diggs, and you know they're hoping that
puts them into the championship conversations again. They also added
mixing right right and veteran running back Mixing this year,

(01:49:40):
which could also help the offense. So last year, like
Jeff said, Richardson's his season was cut short by an injury,
but they still went nine and eight. So they added
some help at wide receiver this year in the draft,
and they hoped to improve their passing attack from last year.
I listen, I'm I like going against the public. So

(01:50:01):
I leaned to the Colts in this game.

Speaker 1 (01:50:03):
How about this just in general.

Speaker 4 (01:50:05):
What are you guys looking forward to here today right
where we get a couple of debuts. How about Kirk
Cousins first game with the Falcons and if he's going
to unlock that offense all of that. Jim Harbaugh makes
his debut with the Chargers here today against the Raiders.
I'm looking forward to that. I'm surprised there hasn't been
There's hardly been anything said about Harbor. I haven't had

(01:50:28):
my head in the sand. Is it just like a
Jeff Foy I always joke around the ball buffet? Is
this because the ball buffet of just college NFL games?
We haven't really heard anything about Harbaugh making his debut
with the Chargers. We did months ago, but now that
we're on the doorstep of the game, I haven't heard
anything this week about Harbaugh, have you guys?

Speaker 9 (01:50:51):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (01:50:51):
My guess is it's because of just sort of Herbert
a little bit. You know, with out this offseason, you know,
I'm out of training camp. There's not a lot of
buzz in my opinion about this team in general. I
think people sort of forgot about it. And plus, look,
they're a West Coast team playing another West Coast team
today in the afternoon slot. It just sort of gets
forgotten about, it really does. Like that's just a sort

(01:51:14):
of a fair assessment of that situation. They're in Los Angeles.
We've talked this before. They're like the you know, they're
the uh, what's the best way to put it. They're
the you know, the the twenty seventh most popular team
in you know, in the region. Like it's just that's
just what it's what they are, you know. And so
that's why I think that there's just not as much

(01:51:36):
hype on that on that on that game.

Speaker 4 (01:51:39):
By the way, real fast, I'm just looking at this
Cowboys Browns game.

Speaker 1 (01:51:43):
Crack, I'll ask you.

Speaker 4 (01:51:44):
Right, So we look at Deshaun Watson two hundred and
thirty million dollars guaranteed, Dak Prescott two hundred and thirty
one million dollars guarantee. Where would you rank those guys,
you know, like among all quarterbacks in the NFL. And
I don't need your whole ranking list, but at the
top of your head, like Dak is somewhere in the
top ten, Deshaun is what like bottom half lo Now.

Speaker 3 (01:52:06):
Yeah, no, what have we seen from him since he
got this contract? What have we seen from him. I
just I think the owner of Cleveland just has so
much money. Billionaire just I mean every owners a billionaire though,
they just want to have some fun. I mean, they're
given this kind of money up to a guy that's
not even proven. But I understand he did earn that,
not the money wise, he did earn that status of

(01:52:29):
being a great quarterback coming over. But he just hasn't
shown me anything. I'm just so upset with him. I'm
hoping this year they have a good season though. I
have a couple of little Cleveland futures, Like I said,
Jeff does too, and I'm hoping they have a good year.
I'm hoping this is going to be the year where
either you know, he shows up or he doesn't. So

(01:52:52):
as far as Dak goes, I've never been a Dak fan.
I mean, to get this kind of money. It Jerry
Joe is just he's another one. It's just too involved
with the team. He just every It's all he does
is get his big mouth involved every every which way
and making decisions and stuff. And you know, Terry, stay
in your lane. Let let you know, let the let

(01:53:14):
the team make the decisions of the gms, the guys
that are in, you know, and amated in this space.
I mean, you know, he's like the George Steinbrenner of football.
I guess you know.

Speaker 4 (01:53:24):
Yeah, No, I hear you on that, all right. So
the moment of truth right around the corner, the Crack challenge. Huh,
Jeff and I five picks against the spread right before kickoff.
We'll have that for you. Also, Crack will have a
couple of picks as well. Crack, you've teased one of
your underpicks. Yes, the mystery underplay, oh yeah, will be

(01:53:44):
unveiled right around the corner. That's Bill Krackenberger from crack
wings dot com sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran,
I'm Brian. No picks galore coming up. It's Fox Sports
Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by bet MGM. It is
Fox Orts Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented.

(01:54:26):
producer extraordinary Chris Purfett crushing the updates and crushing life.
That would be Isaac Loewenkron Top of the Hour, Steve Hartman,
Rich Ornberger, Little Red Zone Radio here on Fox Sports Radio.
Keep it locked. That comes your way in just about
ten minutes. All right, it's the moment of truth.

Speaker 1 (01:54:44):
Let's do it. Five games against the spread.

Speaker 3 (01:54:49):
We call it all it the Crack challenge.

Speaker 1 (01:54:53):
All right, Jeff, you are right.

Speaker 4 (01:54:58):
Still even betters, Yeah, that's right. Okay, So what do
you have for us? All right?

Speaker 1 (01:55:02):
Picks against the spread?

Speaker 5 (01:55:04):
Ready? Crack?

Speaker 3 (01:55:05):
Yes, let's got the spread?

Speaker 5 (01:55:07):
Uh you track these right, you got them? Okay? Carolina
plus three and a half. My favorite bet of on
the board today Colts plus three at home against the Texans. Yep,
give you the Titans plus four against the Bears, Steelers
plus four against the Falcons, legs, that's how many is that?

Speaker 3 (01:55:28):
That's four?

Speaker 5 (01:55:29):
And I'll take the Buccaneers minus three and a half
against the Commandantes of Washington.

Speaker 4 (01:55:36):
All right, Okay, I'm with you on the Titans. I'll
take the Titans plus four. I'm trying to see if
we have any other picks that are the same. I
don't believe, So I'm on the Rams plus four and
a half. Okay, let's stick in La. I'm with the
Chargers minus three. I get the better quarterback, I get
the better head coach, comparable rosters.

Speaker 1 (01:55:56):
I'll lay the three.

Speaker 4 (01:56:00):
I don't even like doing this, but I'm gonna go
against Crack here.

Speaker 1 (01:56:07):
Twice.

Speaker 4 (01:56:08):
I'm gonna take the Giants plus one, okay, and I'm
gonna take the Niners minus four.

Speaker 1 (01:56:15):
I'm rolling with that now. Crack did have minus four
and a half.

Speaker 5 (01:56:19):
So did the Giants Dale Jones pay you money or
something this year?

Speaker 1 (01:56:24):
You would think.

Speaker 4 (01:56:26):
I just listened Sam Donald. That's a real defense that
the Giants have. And I know justin Jefferson is arguably
the best receiver in football, but.

Speaker 5 (01:56:34):
They have a real D line. That's about it.

Speaker 1 (01:56:37):
I know, I know.

Speaker 4 (01:56:38):
But man, when you have that that can, that can
cover a lot of warts.

Speaker 1 (01:56:43):
Jeff as you will.

Speaker 4 (01:56:45):
But when you have Donald in that same stadium, when
he's like I'm.

Speaker 1 (01:56:48):
Seeing ghosts, I'm seeing ghosts like.

Speaker 4 (01:56:51):
I sorry, I'll go with the home team in there.
That might be my dumbest pick ever. We'll find out
a handful of.

Speaker 3 (01:56:59):
I actually picks. You do, yeah, I do. I like
your guys pick like that.

Speaker 1 (01:57:04):
We got more picks to make. Let's do this.

Speaker 3 (01:57:10):
Rabbit fire all right, we just.

Speaker 1 (01:57:12):
Have one pick, Crack. We'll start with you.

Speaker 3 (01:57:14):
What do you like? Man, Let's go with the Saints
Derek Carr under his passing yards. They have a bad
offensive line the first game new system. Taysom Hill may
take one, you know, one or two sname I take
more than that, but let me I'm trying to get
you guys out of the line on on bet MGM.
The line for Derek Carr two twenty nine and a

(01:57:36):
half under on his passing yards. What do you guys got?

Speaker 5 (01:57:39):
Okay, Well, I don't have anything I haven't said. That's
uh so, I'm kind of like the kind of like
we've talked about this for months and months and months.
Panthers my favorite I have that the Cowboys and the
the Colts teaser.

Speaker 3 (01:57:55):
I like a lot.

Speaker 5 (01:57:55):
I haven't done a many teasers today, but I did that.
I might do my Land parlaights some point. I'm oh
for the century in those I put, like, you know,
a couple bucks on a crack. I had a nine
team or a college yesterday lost. It was always one.
It's always it's one team that never you know, I
get eight at nine, nine out of ten every time.
Guys never never win. I see I see all these

(01:58:16):
like pictures of tickets of people winning twenty five leg parlays.
I can barely win a three leg parlay. I wouldn't
know parlays. Oh oh, I'll give you one non football
one can I do non football? My girl? Kaitlyn Clark
point three bounds assist over thirty six and a half,
already already wagered on. I like the fever minus five
and a half at home today. Bounce back. They play

(01:58:39):
the dream that and they they dominate bad teams. The
dream are bad. And uh go ahead and cast your
your ticket for Kaitlyn Clark work of the year. Angel
Reese out for the season. So there's no more, no
more debate of that now if there wasn't anyways, But yeah,
Calin Clark points, we will assist best wayger in all
sports and the Fever bounce back tonight, Jeff I have.

Speaker 4 (01:59:00):
To say something super super fast here before we get
to Cracks Player of the day. This will make you
laugh because Angel Reese, unfortunately she's out for the season,
has a wrist injury. Okay, we're not making light of
that at all, but she posted on social media.

Speaker 1 (01:59:12):
You'll get a laugh out of this. What a year.

Speaker 4 (01:59:13):
I never would have imagined the last bucket of my
rookie season would be a three. But maybe that was
God saying give them a taste of what they will
be seeing more of in year two.

Speaker 5 (01:59:25):
Hey, if you want to see more threes, go ahead. I
don't know what to say.

Speaker 4 (01:59:30):
Real fast, I'm gonna go with Kirk Cousins to throw
a pick. Oh new team, real pass rush TJ. Watt,
you know, a little miscommunication you're supposed to you know,
cut it off at ten yards. I'm gonna take an
interception from Kirk.

Speaker 1 (01:59:43):
All right, let's do this.

Speaker 2 (01:59:47):
This is the best play of the day.

Speaker 3 (01:59:51):
What do you have for us, crack Well to go
along with my quarterback prop there, I am going to
Derek under passing yards. I'm gonna give you guys another one.
Herbert rushing yards under on the Bears under twenty seven
and a half.

Speaker 1 (02:00:06):
Nice boom dare It is all right, we are here.
Enjoy week one. We'll catch it soon
