watch your team win.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
Three is the in game. We're here to break it
all down.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
This is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by
bet mg app. Now we're live from your tail game.
Here's Brian no Hire, NFL Betteran, Jeff Schwartz, and Professional
Sports better Bill Crack Krackenberger.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Oh what is going on? Everybody? Happy Week seventeen to you.
We'll get you all set for the NFL. What's left
the week seventeenth slate? We already had six games played, Crack,
So it's kind of interesting to look at the slave
here today. It's not what you would normally see, but
still some good ball left and some of these college
(01:06):
bowl games have been wild. We'll get to all of that.
Jeff Schwartz should be with us momentarily. To my knowledge, Crack,
there's been a storm, been a fierce storm.
Speaker 5 (01:15):
As a matter of fact, Brian is a major line
move right now on Tennessee Jacksonville under wake right up
seven in the morning, Tennessee Jacksonville under with this big
storm down there. As you can see, I sent you
guys some props on some quarterbacks there under tornado warnings
in Jacksonville. So yeah, I guess Jeff's feeling that a
little bit in Charlotte even, which is pretty much ways
(01:40):
from there.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
But yeah, pretty interesting.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
We haven't had huge weather games I feel like this
year crack. I mean, we've had a couple of them,
but we haven't had what the Niners at the Bills
comes to mind. Remember that game in the snow and
it was it was very hard to throw that night.
There was no footage, remember the defenders just sing all
over the place. But we haven't had many of those
(02:04):
in the NFL this season, so it's something to keep
in mind. Might get some weather in that Falcons Commander's
game on Sunday night too, so something right right?
Speaker 5 (02:14):
Uh Cleveland, Right, Cleveland had some weather situation there. Total
really moved way down. But you're right, this season hasn't
been like that standout ish like New England type of
crazy snow plow on the sideline sideways.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Yeah, you're right, it hasn't really been that that bad.
Speaker 5 (02:32):
But uh yeah, as you see Tennessee Jacksonville now moving
under from thirty nine down.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
To thirty eight. A couple couple straggler books.
Speaker 5 (02:40):
Here at thirty nine thirty nine and a half still
sold some slow moving books. But uh yeah, you know,
I was just reading about how I read a couple
forecasts before we came on air, about the first half
of some games may be okay, but by the second
half there was supposed to be some weather on a
(03:02):
couple different games here. So not this Jacksonville game. This
Jacksonville game the whole time, it's supposed to.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
Be pretty bad.
Speaker 5 (03:10):
I was more reading the Cleveland weather and yeah, no,
you know, weather is part of it. But you know,
when we say weather, I shouldn't even say the snow.
It's the wind. The wind is everything, you know. You
can actually a lot of times when the people overreact
when they show the games coming on the preview, they
(03:30):
overreact and start betting the under where they see snow,
it's not that snow, it's the wind. So just to
let everyone know when it's just don't fall into the
trap of betting the under a lot of time, the
pros a lot of times will actually bet over after
it's overly adjusted. So when a game goes from like
I've had a New England game that I remember about
(03:51):
a decade ago that moved from like forty to thirty two,
thirty three and thirty three was to play on the
over and and sure enough they had like twenty three
in the first half. So people were like, oh my god,
I thought the weather this is everyone lost their money
they met the under.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
So yeah, I remember a game with the Patriots a
while ago, this is the Brady era. It might be
the same one you're talking about Crack where they were
hosting the Titans and they the Patriots scored nearly sixty
points in that game. There was snow everywhere, right, like, yeah,
it just crushed the Titans. So but there are other
games where it works the other way. Remember the Bills
(04:27):
Patriots game where one team I think there were three
passing plays the whole game, at least from one of
the teams. So it can work both ways. But I
hear you, I hear you. It's not just snow take
the under. There are plenty of points to be had
in games with just snow and no wind.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
I'll play it.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
Again, Brian. I want to be at one of those games.
I want to be in an ice bowl situation at
least once in life.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
I want to be in a Notre Dame.
Speaker 5 (04:53):
I want to be that one of those type of
games there where it's just in the metal benches you're
stuck to and just like everyone calling like this can't
be real, but yet they're playing. I want, I want
one of those experiences. You've had one, right, You've been
to a couple.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
I've been to a few where it's really cold, you know,
it's funny. One of the coldest games I've been to
that comes to mind, I went with my older nephew
Mini Match, so Mini Mats twenty one years old now,
which is crazy, but he was a lot younger at
the time. One of the coldest games I ever went to,
believe it or not, was a Tennessee Titans game. The
Titans hosted the Steelers. This was I don't know within
(05:30):
the last ten years. I don't remember which year it
was exactly. Crack It was freezing that night, free freezing cold.
But I've been to a few where it's been pretty chill.
I've been to a couple of Notre Dame games. They
played Navy one years freezing cold, just like driving rain.
You know, if you ever go out to a game
in the cold and the rain, you know, I'd rather
(05:52):
go to a game where it's snowing and it's five
degrees out compared to like thirty six where the wind
is just howling.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
You're wet.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
That's miserable when you're cold and wet and just sitting there.
That's that's not the funny. You want that. You want
the cold in the rain there, crack.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
Right, yeah, I really want the snow.
Speaker 5 (06:10):
You want the snow I want just an avalanche of
snow coming down. Can hardly see the field, can't see
that when the ball maybe is even thrown, it's lost
for the for the fans, but yet they can still
see it on the field. I want one of those
type of games, just to say I went to one
of the Vince Lombardie Ice Bowl type.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Yeah, yeah, maybe with the Tom Coughlin face breaking off
this type. That's what you want, right, That's what I want.
Some of these stadiums.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
Crack.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
It's so good, like they'll they'll have the weather forecast,
they'll they'll play it to their benefit. You know, they'll
announce it on purpose. So the fans go crazy where
they're like today's weather report seventeen with a ninety chance
of snow, and everyone's like, yeah, like bring it on.
(06:59):
So some of that is really fun. How about the
games that we saw yesterday?
Speaker 4 (07:04):
We had eight.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Bowl games, crack, and we had three NFL games, and
a couple of these games were wild. How about the
Bengals keeping their playoff hopes alive. They beat the Broncos
thirty to twenty four in overtime. The first thing that
comes to mindcrack and you hit us on the text thread,
anyone who had the under in this game?
Speaker 4 (07:26):
My lord, what a brutal.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Beat that was. It's seventeen to seventeen. It looks like
the Bengals are gonna run the clock out and kick
a field goal, and that's it. Chase Brown, the running back,
He runs the ball down to the one He tries
to slide so they can run the clock out and
kick a field goal. He gets hurt and so it
stops the clock. It changed everything. The Bengals end up
(07:52):
scoring a touchdown. The Broncos have a little bit more
time left on the clock. On fourth and one. Somehow
bo Nicks throw this minor miracle that's completed to Marvin Mims.
We go to overtime. There's a doink, which looks like
we might have a tie. There was a missed field goal,
but no, the Bengals get the ball back, they score
(08:12):
the winning touchdown. The game goes over barely. That is
a disgusting beat if you were on the under there.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
So let me tell you this.
Speaker 5 (08:20):
You don't know this, Brian, I have, even though I
talk to you guys on the on the messenger there
on the text with everybody. Oh boy, this is gonna
be hard to even spit out here.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
This was bad. So I'm in a casino yesterday. Very rare.
I'll do that.
Speaker 5 (08:35):
I don't watch games at casinos. Everyone's screaming and yelling.
You know, the basketball comes on, it's two nothing, they're
screaming the first basket behind me.
Speaker 4 (08:44):
I mean, I just, oh God, it's gonna be like
this the whole day. Let's move.
Speaker 5 (08:47):
But no, the casinos are packed crazy. Here's the worst thing.
I'm in a casino. A big casino player goes to
the counter ten minutes before the game and says, hey,
I want two hundred thousand on the side and two
hundred thousand on the total. And the sports book is
(09:09):
told to book this guy because he actually won playing baccara.
But he's a million dollar baccara player.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
He was.
Speaker 5 (09:16):
I found out later he was up a million and
a half dollars playing baccara. So he wants about two
hundred thousand on the game, two hundred thousand, and sure enough,
what does the sports book do? They move from fifty
and a half to fifty two. So for me being
right there, literally right the second row watching this game,
(09:37):
go from fifteen and a half to fifty two where
it's fifth. By the way, it's fifty every there's fifties
out there. I said, wow, this is a good opportunity.
I said, a right, I go up to the counter.
I bet it, not a crazy amount, but just on GP,
I bet under fifty two, knowing there's not even a
fifty one out there, and fifty one is one of
the key numbers in the NFL. By the way, people
(09:57):
don't know that games landing this year, not this year,
since COVID fifty one is one of the keyest numbers.
Maybe not as much this season because the totals haven't
been that high, but they were the last four years.
So of course I bet under fifty two that this
is easy, this is easy, Like this is going to
be an easy one after you know, four quarters looks like,
(10:19):
you know, going into the fourth quarter. And sure enough,
that was a terrible beat at a six sick number
that I had. So even the Pros lose. But meanwhile,
this guy gets both of them. He gets Cincinnati minus three,
he gets the over, he wins four hundred thousand, and
the Pros sitting in the first the first row here
(10:42):
fudging for money for a tip for the waitress here.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
Wow, that's even worse.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
I didn't tell you, been telling you now, yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Because I thought the total was normally like around fifty,
but like you're saying, it jumped up to fifty two.
That's so that's way worse. So for anybody, like, the
game is twenty four to twenty four in overtime, So
if you're on under fifty two, you won a field
goal and you're you're good. They had a close field
goal attempt, cade York missed it. He hit the upright
(11:13):
and so the game keeps going on, Bengals get the
ball back, they have a longer pass play inside the ten.
They're like, we're not relying on any field goals anymore.
We learned our lesson. We're going for six and they
scored a touchdown in overtime. T Higgins with this third
of the game. Oh my gosh, but.
Speaker 5 (11:31):
Now you're telling me I didn't know that ending of
the game, because now I'm gonna meet some people at dinner,
and I did not know that. The guy actually slid
down here telling me this right now. I had no clue.
I just didn't. I mean, so it's even worse than Brian.
I'm showing you there on the camera, the fifty two.
I mean, that's how bad it was. Look at that.
I'm fifty two under fifty two, which is a sickening,
(11:52):
sickening I cannot believe. I had to be out. My
buddies were here in town. I said, I'll come over
and watch a game. I have to be over at
that one casino that takes a guy from the casino
that's betting two hundred thousand dollars a game, and they
say let's get some under money.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
Oh god, this was a terrible, terrible, pretty big.
Speaker 5 (12:14):
Swing, to be honest with you. For me, I was like,
oh my god, I just bet that just on principle.
And you know that goes to show you though it's
my old saying. Man, anything cannon will happen in the
NFL on any given Sunday, in this case on Saturday,
So anyway.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
That's we go on. It was no big deal.
Speaker 5 (12:32):
I still went out and still had a beautiful steak dinner.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Isn't that funny? Too crack? We literally were talking about
that the other day, that fifty one being that key number.
Oh my god, I forgot about that. We were just
trying about that.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
Yeah, that was you and I.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
Brian and I went to went to breakfast the other
day and just talked about We made a phone call
to one of my main stack guys and he said,
how many games have landed? I thought, and I was thinking,
what was the number? We thought thirty forty forty.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
One, thirty seven seven.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
Four?
Speaker 5 (13:04):
Yeah, yeah, and surprisingly shocked us with no, the last
five years fifty one and then I have to be
in a casino that goes from fifteen and a half
to fifty two. I mean, did this was set up
to be a disaster, was it?
Speaker 4 (13:16):
Do you believe that? And it insane?
Speaker 1 (13:19):
That really is insane? How about real fast? How about
any of the college games yesterday? Crack you play any
of those the eight games Colorado got crushed by BYU.
Speaker 5 (13:29):
You know, the big money came in on BYU yesterday
though that line was like three and a half for
a while, big money line, big big money came in
on BYU.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
That they were they were right. Actually that I guess
it probably didn't really surprise me.
Speaker 5 (13:43):
I actually sent out BYU with the points to my
crackling guys earlier this week. But Colorado really spent the
last two weeks talking to media, party and showcasing all
their awards, talking about the NFL draft. BYU was quiet
and locked in practicing for this Bowl game.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
It really showed. So there was one of them.
Speaker 5 (14:03):
Yeah, there was a couple couple games there that that.
I mean, I didn't even really watch them because I
was in the middle of watching the NFL there at
my buddies. But you know, I guess cam Wore doesn't
play the second half Iowa State beats Miami. This one
really didn't surprise me either. There was another Bowl it's
actually another Bowl winner. But you know, for me and
my guys. But I'll tell you watching the NFL games
(14:27):
on big giant, I haven't done it the whole seat.
It's the first time I was in a sportsbook this year,
in front of me giant, giant screens. I couldn't even
enjoy yet. I shouldn't say, because it was a beautiful
it's one of the best sports books in town.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
It was a beautiful setting.
Speaker 5 (14:41):
But I had people in back of me with Denver
shirts on and Denver jerseys. I had other guys with
cincinnatijer arguing. They were like arguing back and forth. Friendly
it was friendly fire. They were arguing back and forth.
I couldn't even I even told my buddies and said, listen,
we have four seats here. I want to go to
the counter and see if I could changed the seats.
I couldn't even change him. It was so busy, so
(15:02):
I really didn't get to watch a lot of the
college and I kept on doing casino runs, running around
checking the advantage slot machines during the It was almost
too much to handle with the people screaming and yelling
behind me.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
And then an NBA game.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
Came on and I swear it was too nothing, and
a guy, a diff separate guy behind me starts screaming.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
I was like, this is this is How do you
guys do this? How do you It's tough to watch
too nothing? What am I going to put up with here?
I had to try to get out of dinner? Were like,
so this is the guys. You guys want to go
to dinner. Let's go. Come on, tom Me, let's get
out of here.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Man.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
It's it's so funny to be man, But what do
you think the game in the cold is going to
be like crack that you want to go to. You know,
you're gonna have lunatics there with They're going to be
shirtless with the chests painted.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
Not taking my shirt off, my shirts coming off. I'm
on them, coming on.

Yes, we invite our good friend Christian Cipolini in with
us BETMGM Trading manager. Good morning to you, Christian. We'll
get to all the NFL stuff. But I'm just curious
about these college football games. We've got four second round games.
If you just walk us through the handle, like which
game is getting the most handle? Which game is getting
(17:52):
the least handle of these four that are coming up?
Speaker 6 (17:57):
Hey yeah, as of my no, I can't mention before
like we get to get a majority of our handles
and get a lot closer to the game. But right now,
the one that has the most angled is definitely Ohio
State Oregon. The one that's going to have the least
is Texas Aerson the state.
Speaker 5 (18:14):
Interesting about hey, Christian, bill crack, what about today's games?
Speaker 4 (18:20):
Here?
Speaker 5 (18:20):
I'm seeing what John Ewing sent us most bet games
on ticket wise Lions forty nine, Ers, Chargers, Patriots, Broncos Bengals.
What's the most how the most bet teams? I'm guessing
you guys get hit with a lot of Lions money,
So I'm guessing probably the Lions would be any anyone
else come out or stick out or Am I right
(18:40):
about the Lions?
Speaker 6 (18:42):
Yeah, you're right about the Lions. That's that's been the
story of the season for for us. The book here
is constant lines money and the fact that uh Borrows
game is going to be a prime time games just
it'll be more important for us to get a good outcome,
just because of the fact that normally we take a
lot of Lions. Actually with some primetime we get even
more than that, So it will definitely be our most
(19:04):
back game of the week. The rest of the teams
from today, we don't have a ton of great matchups,
so the other team will probably been the most. It's
probably the Packers of the Vikings just in that game,
but outside that, we've got some bad matchups today.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Yeah, I know it's not the sexiest slate right here,
but the early window is rough. Christian, what's what's your
overall handle looking like for the early window? Because we've
got some disgusting matchups.
Speaker 4 (19:31):
Oh god. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (19:33):
Usually most seasons, the last week of the season is
usually at least been on week, you know, with players
sitting games that are meaningless. But going to this season,
this field like last week of the season slate we're
looking at right now, just the fact that we've already
played a bunch of games and these ones are not
only are they all pretty bad games, and most of
(19:54):
them have rained for a lot of wind in the forecast.
So not only do we have bad teams playing, but
on top that, it looks like we're not gonna have
a lot of points for these games either. So yeah,
I'd imagine this will be our secondly been all weekend.
Next week will probably.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
Top this, I think.
Speaker 5 (20:10):
More towards game time, though, people's boredom will play a
role here and you'll start seeing some action on these
early ten am games here Las Vegas time. But there
is some I mean, just look at the games. God,
the Giants at home, New Orleans home, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Buffalo Jets,
but oh god, Tampa Carolina. I think there's some ugly
(20:31):
early games. But let's let's go to the later games.
Green Bay, Minnesota, this is a game I want to see.
So green Bay Minnesota, are you guys seeing a lot
of action right now on that game? And is Minnesota
the team that has been bet are you Will you
guys be rooting for Green Bay for a game time
or is it pretty split?
Speaker 6 (20:49):
No, we're gonna be runing for the Vikings at least
as we now. I do probably think that that will continue.
I mean this is a tight spread to think them
at some points some Vikings as one now, but more
of our actions on the Packers five about seventy percent.
I don't think it will go too too crazy in
that direction. We're going to a little mix, but we'll
definitely want the Vikings. I would imagine this we get.
Speaker 4 (21:10):
To kick off.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
What else do you want here today, Christian or including
tomorrow as well? If you could, uh, you know, have
your own three leg parlay, what would be the best
outcome for you guys?
Speaker 6 (21:22):
So including tomorrow, certainly the word donors is that'll be
the number one thing that we'll need for the rest
of the week. But in this link for the rest
of the day. Right now, we need both New York teams.
I think we've spaid that a few times on this
on this show, but uh, Jeff not taking much action.
A plus ten against the Bills, who have obviously is
very good. And then week in and week out Giants
(21:43):
this season, we haven't taken much action. Calls who need
to win are taking majority of the bets here. So
if I could pick three, be the two new year
teams and the forty Niners.
Speaker 5 (21:53):
My last thing for you, Christian, yesterday those three NFL
games in the bowl games?
Speaker 4 (21:58):
Was yesterday a good day for the books?
Speaker 5 (22:01):
You know that that last game going over he had
to be Giant, not the last game the yeah, well
the swing on that game that the middle game there,
Cincinnati game, that was that was my last game. By
the way, I left the book afterday. I was sitting
in a sportsbook with a fifty two, so I had
a large bet on the under in that game.
Speaker 4 (22:18):
Terrible. I just left, I mean fifty two.
Speaker 5 (22:21):
I walked out and went to dinner, and I didn't
watch the very last game.
Speaker 4 (22:24):
But so was it yesterday a good day for the books?
Speaker 5 (22:27):
A bad day for the books or how did it
work out for you guys?
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (22:31):
Yes, it wasn't great. You know, all three favorites one
Usually that doesn't help people like in parlay all three
of those together and Chargers out come in the morning.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
Was pretty bad.
Speaker 6 (22:40):
We were actually a little bit split on that Beangles
Broncos game. The main thing that we wanted was not
a lot of points, so we were with two on that.
We just played how that ended and then yeah, we
weren't rooting for the Rams at the end. So no,
that that was a bad one. So hopefully we can
get it back today.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
Something some and like just pops into my head saying,
you probably will, you know, you probably will. Christian, always
appreciate your time. Man, enjoy Week seventeen. We'll catch you soon.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
See.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Thank you. There he is Christian Zippolini, BEDMGM Trading Manager
joining us here. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff,
presented by BEDMGM. You know, crack, there are there are
some disgusting matchups on the board here.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
Oh god, oh my god.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
Yeah, it's uh, it's not the sexiest and it's funny
too because the late afternoon window we only have two
games now. Packers Vikings is a fantastic matchup, but the
other matchup is Dolphins Browns, which is again one of
like these early window disgusting matchups. As well, because you're
looking at probably no Tua. Tua is doubtful, So it
(23:53):
looks like it's gonna be Tyler Huntley for the Dolphins
and Dorian Thompson Robinson for the bear for the Browns
in that matchup. And this is crazy too, crag. Dorian
Thompson Robinson didn't have a good game last week against
the Bengals, but his passer rating improved going into that game.
Last week against Cincy, his passer rating was twelve. Not
(24:16):
as QBR like passer rating. The best you could have
is one fifty eight point three. Heading into last week
for DTR it was twelve. It's now thirty point one.
On the season, Dorrian Thompson Robinson has no touchdown passes
five interceptions, So that is a completely unsexy matchup. Dolphins
(24:38):
Browns with no to Tyler Huntley v. Dorian Thompson Robinson.
Speaker 5 (24:43):
Yeah, this one should be ugly. You're right, two backup quarterbacks.
It's still an important game for Miami, though, who needs
a win to stay alive for the final AFC playoff spot.
I'd have to double check, but I'm pretty sure this
might be the lowest total of the year.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
It's gotta be right by the way.
Speaker 5 (25:02):
I opened up forty one and forty at the two
key sports books that control the line down to thirty
three thirty three and a half at bet MGM. That
has to be. And let me just tell you, there's
no way I can play. I don't care what's going
on there. There's no way I can play under after
a game moved that much.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
The only way to.
Speaker 5 (25:23):
Play is on the over. I haven't really looked into
it yet. It's going to be one of the later games.
But yeah, I don't know what's going on there weather wise.
I know there was I shouldn't say I don't know
what's going on. I don't know if it's that bad
weather wise. I was hearing the first first half of
the game. I told you guys, I was reading about that.
Actually will be you know, some weather situations there. We'll see,
(25:46):
But thirty three just seems way too low for any
NFL game. It's almost an automatic bet on the over. However,
I did not bet the over there. So the line's
three three, three and a half GM is three and
a half minus so five A game that I won't
be watching. I'm looking forward. I watched the Green Bay
(26:06):
Minnesota game. You know it's funny.
Speaker 4 (26:08):
I take my computer out with me every every day Sunday.
I have a buddy I go, I.
Speaker 5 (26:14):
Go and meet at eleven am every day, so I
actually take my computer.
Speaker 4 (26:18):
Out watch the games.
Speaker 5 (26:19):
I have red Zone there, I have my my live
odd screen with me and usually sometimes I'll sink him.
Speaker 4 (26:25):
I said, boy, it's a good game. I'm gonna mis
watch it today.
Speaker 5 (26:28):
No, I'll be happy to go out and no problem
at all this early window. I guess I would say
from you know, I say that, Brian, But yet I
need I'm in this suicide pool here, the survivor pool
man fourteen point two million down to thirty four teams.
By the way, eight of those teams had the rams
(26:49):
last night, not me.
Speaker 4 (26:50):
Eight of the end. So I was rooting for Arizona
to win out right, to knock those eight people out.
That's they've been sold.
Speaker 5 (26:58):
Everyone has been so lucky in this pool the past
five weeks. I can go over game over game have
to pull twenty nine people had had Kansas City over
the Raiders. When the Raiders fudge the snaps. I mean,
you know then I believe that there has been so
many situations, even myself, though I had Tampa Bay over
Carolina the last time they played in Carolina. In overtime,
(27:21):
Carolina has the ball in the twenty gonna you know,
gonna kick a field goal, and they turn over the
ball and Tampa Bay wins the game, and I go on.
My team goes on. So I have Indianapolis today on
the road, which is my first road team that we've picked.
So I do have a big interest in rooting interests.
But yet I'll tell you right now, I lean. I
lean towards the points with the Giants. From a betting angle,
(27:45):
I can't be betting Indianapolis, give it that. But you know,
I think the Giants may have just given up. They
may have just given up. But I thought that about Chicago,
and they played a heck of a game the other night,
so which I needed. I needed Seattle to win because
in this pool, you have to pick one of the
three games on Christmas Day or the day after, which
I had Seattle, so in order to survive and move on,
(28:07):
it's just a money line, of course for the survivor.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
We needed Seattle six to three.
Speaker 5 (28:12):
Ugly game, but it it landed right there where. Actually,
if you if you bet the dog, you won, because
there was there was four and a half's out there.
It was even a five out there for a while.
But today, same situation, Indianapolis. I need to move on.
And then next week there's there's only one more week
of our of our pool. Here looks to be a
(28:34):
big split here. There's thirty four people going to the
finish line. And just to let people know, twenty of
the thirty four, twenty of the thirty four all picked
Indianapolis today.
Speaker 4 (28:46):
That's it.
Speaker 5 (28:47):
And then the Rams eight people picked the Rams. Jesus,
I still look at that and say, twenty four percent
of the field pick the Rams last night. How lucky
they did they get? And now they're sitting in the
they're sitting in the catbird seat, just watching the the
rest of us.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
Here.
Speaker 5 (29:01):
Four people have the Bills, four have the Bucks, one
have the Eagles. Oh one had the Chargers too yesterday,
so he got through with the Chargers. So I'll be
rooting against mentally against the Bucks and the Bills. You know,
I can't root against the Eagles because I have I
have the Eagles to win the division so and a
pretty large bet, so I gotta root for the Eagles.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
It's crazy crack. I was thinking about that too, where
we're talking about we haven't had that many just crazy
weather games this year, and we haven't had that many
just shocking upsets right where you're just like, whoa, how
did this team beat that other team? Where for a
survivor pool, you're like, we just need an outright winner.
Speaker 4 (29:43):
We don't.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
We're not worried about covering the spread. And there haven't
been that four weeks feats, there's been none, haven't been done.
We're early in the season, week one now that this
survivor pool had fourteen thousand, two hundred entries. Ninety percent
of the poole was out in the first five weeks.
Cincinnati the first week, I think it was the first.
(30:05):
New England Yeah yeah, New England beat them.
Speaker 5 (30:06):
With New England beat them week one, it's like a
nine point underdog and knocked the people out. And then
again Cincinnati lost is a seven point favorite in week
three or four, and ninety percent of this pool And
I say, I'm using, I'm talking about the spread.
Speaker 4 (30:21):
But then again, right like I said, this is just no.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
Spread involved those first four or five weeks, anything was
happening lots of upsets.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
And it dried up, it ight up. We haven't seen
that many crazy upsets anymore. Do you know who is
not a crazy upset either? This guy comes through. He's steady.
He's with us this morning as well. Isaac lohen Crin,
I low, what's going on?
Speaker 4 (30:43):
Oh? I thank you.
Speaker 7 (30:44):
Top of the morning, fellas. And what a Saturday night
it was in the NFL, with the Los Angeles Rams
pulling out a thirteen to nine victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
Akella Weatherspoon the game saving interception in the end zone
with thirty seven seconds to play. The Rams, at ten
and six, now lead the nine and seven Seahawks by
a game for first place in the NFC West, going
(31:05):
out of the final week of the regular season. Earlier Saturday,
the Bengals and Broncos tied to twenty four in overtime.
Here was Dan hord on WLW.
Speaker 8 (31:15):
The Bengals trying to win it from the three yard
line of Denver Burrow looking to throw his pass.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
It is cow Ye my Tea Higgins touchdown.
Speaker 8 (31:25):
It's Omengals and the final playoff spot.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
In the AFC will not be.
Speaker 8 (31:31):
Decided until the final week of the regular season. The
Cincinnati Bengals are still alive as Joe Burrow hits T
Higgins per game winning touchdowns.
Speaker 7 (31:44):
Higgins would finish with eleven catches for one hundred and
thirty one yards and three touchdowns. In the NBA. On
Saturday night, Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks scored
fifty five and a one to thirty six one thirty
two win at Washington. The Los Angeles Lakers top the
Sacramento Hings one thirty two to one twenty two in
the debut of Sacramento interim head coach Doug Christy. Finally, guys,
(32:07):
back to the NFL, So the Las Vegas Raiders. Their
Saturday morning team flight to New Orleans for today's game
against the Saints was delayed because of mechanical issues. Really delayed.
A new plane had to be swapped in.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
Guys.
Speaker 7 (32:27):
The Raiders did not land in New Orleans until eleven
thirty nine pm Central Time last night, twelve hours and twenty.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
One minutes before the opening kickoff. Wow, back to you,
good stuff, Thank you Ilo. It is Fox Sports Radio's
Countdown to Kickoff, presented by bet MGM. I had to
laugh for a second crack where Dave Lapham, who does
color for the Bengals radio broadcast, where he goes it's over.
Of course he was talking about the game being over,
(32:59):
but it was all so the total was over with
the final touchdown being scored. Where you talked about going
over that fifty two, that's disgusting right there, That.
Speaker 4 (33:09):
Is was disgusting.
Speaker 5 (33:10):
Oh, you know, Iilo just said something about the New
Orleans Vegas game. So last night before I went to bed,
I seen that come across from Rushchefter. I have Adam
Schefter's and he said, oh, this plane that they have
to change planes. They're on the tarmac that had like
change planes. How frustrating for these guys. Maybe they just
(33:30):
want to you know, you know, this season's been a
disaster anyway. But however, from a betting standpoint, the game
did not move. It's still too Las Vegas minus two
pretty steady. Last night I actually thought, you know, do
I bet New Orleans here because it might go to
(33:53):
pick them Africa. These guys are going to get by
the time they get to their hotel and get settled,
they have to get up and pro probably six hours
five and a half hours. But I said, you know,
let me and this is gonna be a good, good
stuff for the public. Here, let me see what the
second half line is. Let's see that. That's the line
I want to look for, maybe to bet the Saints.
(34:15):
But let me tell you, I'm not rushing to the
window to bet this ugly New Orleans Saints team either.
After their first two wins of the year, if we remember,
they came out too and oh they beat Dallas. I
think I think it was forty four to nineteen in Dallas.
But we didn't know Dallas was such such a bad team.
But then the Saints just fell apart. So they are
(34:36):
who we thought they were. So I'm not rushing to
the window to bet these Saints either. They could be
they could be you know, throwing the towel in on
the season.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
You know, I got great news for you. The Schwartz
Syndicate is with us.
Speaker 4 (34:47):
Now.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
You know, we're gonna catch up with Jeff even more
coming up shortly. He had to you know, high tail
it over to a friend's house. There's been some weather
in his neck of the woods. So we're fired up.
I see him on the zoom at right here.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
This is beautiful all right, I'm not happy about this.
You're not.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
We're gonna get surly Schwartz coming up. This is the
best kind of Schwartz on the radio. You kidding me?
All right, We've got a Bill Krachenberger from crackwins dot com.
Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran, I'm Brian. Know the
parlay platter right around the corner. We'll each have one
selection for you. Pull it together for a greater payout.
(35:25):
We'll have that for you coming up next. It is
Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by BETMGM. It
is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by BETMGM.
Every time you make a wager at BETMGM, you earn
BETMGM rewards points that can be redeemed for things like
bonus bets or converted to MGM rewards points that could
(35:46):
be used towards dining shows and hotel rooms at over
twenty MGM resorts. All right, let's do this.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
Check this out ar lay letter.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
Ah, Yes, we each have one selection. We pull it
together for a greater payout. Crack will start with you.
What do you like, man?
Speaker 4 (36:03):
You know what?
Speaker 5 (36:04):
I'm still gonna go under on this game, this Tennessee
Jacksonville game. Let's go under thirty Tennessee Jacksonville.
Speaker 4 (36:11):
Some weather.
Speaker 5 (36:12):
They're hurricanes everything, tornadoes everything in the not no hurricanes,
but tornadoes in the forecast, so lots of bad weather
under Tennessee Jacksonville.
Speaker 3 (36:23):
I'm right, Good morning everyone, what's up, Jeh. I will
give you my pick, and then I will rant about
AT and T. Okay, all right, so I.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
Like, maybe you fade the Cowboys because of AT and
T Stadium.
Speaker 3 (36:40):
I might have to do that. I like when I
write an article early in the week and then I
see crack likes the same thing I do. I wrote
earlier this week Josh Allen under rushing yards. I figured
because of just game flow, which is like last weekend,
they don't want to run the football with Josh Allen
because they don't have to. I think, actually this game
(37:01):
they will play better than last weekend. And when you
take rush yards attempts under in this particular game, I
worry about Neil downs, which almost caught me with Josh
Allen last week when I had under rush attempts and
under rush yards. So I'll just take the under rush
yards right now, it's at thirty two and a half.
I bet MGM, so go Josh on under thirty two
and a half rush yards.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
Okay, all right, I like the logic right there. I'll
be quick so you can rant.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
Jeff.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
You know I'm looking at Cowboys running back Rico Dowdell.
I'm gonna take under fifty eight and a half. I
actually bet it last night at under sixty and a half.
It's ticked down a little bit, but at fifty eight
and a half, I just think of this, no CD Lamb.
The Eagles have a top ten rush defense. The Cowboys
are twenty eighth in rushing offense. Don't you feel like
(37:48):
the Eagles are gonna be like, yeah, dude, we're shutting
down the running game. If Cooper Rush can beat us
with no CD Lamb, we'll tip our cap. But I
just don't see Rico Dowdell doing much of anything running
the ball here today against Philly, So I'll take that.
I'll take a doubt all under fifty eight and a half.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
I like that. I think the voice is on the
over by the way, so that feelings good to be
on the on the on the under there of a
voice prop. So we had a storm today, the same
system that I would imagine is affecting the play in
Jacksonville today or Tampa Bay and internet just went out.
So again the AT and T smart app whatever, and
(38:27):
they're like, yeah, usually a new modem sent to you.
I'm like, the motive just blew out. We had no lightning,
like we mean, the motem just stopped working. Yeah, I
just stopped working. What does that even mean. I don't
understand how that's a thing that can just happen all
of a sudden in the middle of the Sunday morning,
just stops working. So the motom stopped working.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (38:50):
I just.
Speaker 4 (38:54):
Luckily, I.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
Know, luckily met a friends that was able to loan
me their place for the next couple of days because
it will show up at some point. I'm thinking about
just getting guys, it's about time I just get my own,
my own hot spot, just to keep it's worth the investment.
Maybe I have a friend that does all his stuff
off the hot spot. I mean it's expensive, but just
(39:17):
to have if I need it so I don't have
to have to leave home, and you can use there's
hot spots with Ethernet connections, So I'm thinking about just
having that.
Speaker 5 (39:26):
How much is something like that, like like more than
five hundred bucks a year?
Speaker 3 (39:31):
Yeah, yeah, probably probably a little more than five undred
bucks a year. Yeah, for the service you need for
unlimited unlimited service. But it's worth if I can if
I miss if I don't have to miss a.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
Show, right, yeah, totally yeah, kind of like a backup generator,
you know, I have that. It's for radio, So I
already have that at the house.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
I have about a.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
Generator you need you need another one for radio.
Speaker 5 (39:53):
Geez.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
That's how it works out right there, all right, plenty
of stuff to get to in week seven. Hey, some
of the unsexy matchups can make for profitable bets. We'll
go through some nasty games coming up. Oh what is
going on? Good morning here? Weeks seventeen. We're just two
hours away from kickoff here. It's a beautiful thing. The
(40:16):
early window not so beautiful though.
Speaker 4 (40:18):
You know.
Speaker 1 (40:20):
The official slogan should be hey, but it's football, you know,
Like that's about it because some of these matchups. Man
in the early slate, we're talking Raiders Saints. I just
picture someone saying I got tickets to the Saints. Game
here today and someone's saying, oh cool, yeah, who's that quarterback?
I'd be Aidan O'Connell and Spencer Rattler, you know, yeah,
(40:43):
in you want to go? How about Titans, Jags, Colts, Giants.
There's some disgusting matchups right there. Man, There's really no
marquee matchup in the early window at all.
Speaker 3 (40:57):
Can we have the question answered why the Indianapolis Cults
are favored on the road by over touchdown to anyone
National Football League? I think if you were to say
the Culture playing the Georgia Bulldogs and there were seven
and a half point favorites on the road, you'd be like,
I don't know, man, it feels like a wrong number
on this one, right, Brian, I don't understand this in
(41:18):
this line at all. Anthony Richon, Actually the line didn't
move at all at all with him being out, which
so the Giants plus seven and a half is one
of my best bets of the weekend. At some point,
these utter dogs have got to start fighting back now.
Cardinals did last night the Bengals. I mean I was
(41:38):
on the Broncos plus three and a half got a
good number, I mean, not the best number, but I
got above three, and that should not have cashed. Obviously.
Chiefs and Steelers easily covered Wednesday Thursday, depending what number
you got, but Seattle did not cover as a favorite.
These favorites entering this weekend. This weekend's action week seventeen.
Since week five, guys, they're seventy half percent. Just again,
(42:00):
just straight up. They're winning over seven percent of games.
They're covering it fifty six percent since week five. The
database only goes back to two thousand and five. Otherwise
I'm sure it would be the most in years. And
I'm gonna I'm going down with the ship man. I
have some favorites I like today, I'm not going but
I'm taking Giants are plus seven and a half. Don't
(42:21):
get this number. Giants stink. Don't get me wrong, but
have you watched a Colt's play football, especially on defense?
Touchdowns is too much? Correct, you know, with Floco playing,
which I Flacco wasn't good when he did play. Remember
they tried to have him play and then he was
benched immediately again Freddy Richardson, So sign me up for
for Giants are plus plus seven and half. Ugly side,
(42:42):
but I'll take it.
Speaker 5 (42:43):
This is actually a game that means something for both teams.
The Colts, trying to stay alive in the playoffs, would
be going to I guess is that the oldie. He's
got to be the oldest quarterback in the league, right
forty years old. They're gonna need Jonathan Taylor to run
the ball control of the game like he did week
he had two hundred and eighteen yards. The Giants currently
have the first pick of this year's draft. Really don't
(43:07):
can we even say that they do? They really think
we don't want to win this game. But like I said,
any given Sunday, anything can and will happen. Maybe a
good teaser, leg I guess if you're looking for one,
But however, I'm with Jeff, I can't even though by
the way, Jeff, I don't know if you were on
I don't think you were in our survivor pool.
Speaker 4 (43:28):
Here.
Speaker 5 (43:28):
Fourteen point two million on the line. That's who we
have in the Colts. So I need the Colts to
win the game today. Yeah, we had no availability on
other school other sorry, other teams, so other big favorites.
Speaker 4 (43:41):
But you bring up great points.
Speaker 5 (43:43):
How can they be given seven and a half points
on the road and bet MGM is still seven and
a half. It got hit a little bit this morning,
actually seven and a half dog twenty dog twenty five
at a couple spots here in Vegas. But bet MGM
still has the plus seven and a half. And yeah,
if anything, the points, I do a lean to the Giants.
Speaker 3 (44:02):
Did you watch Seattle Chicago on Thursday?
Speaker 4 (44:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (44:07):
No, I was actually in the car, but I needed
Seattle for to go ahead to this thing. You have
six three and half and I never seen that. I
never seen the end of the game or anything.
Speaker 3 (44:16):
Oh you missed anything because it finished six to three.
I was on Devison when when Benson announced the forty
five entries for seventeen A the first part of this week,
and I felt so bad for someone on the Bears,
like I can obviously there was one person on Tech
the Texans, I think, and they just had these detextans.
(44:37):
I can make a case of Division winner could beat Baltimore.
I can make a case that the Steelers could have
been in Kansas City. There was nothing on the Bears,
and they almost did win the game, barely. They didn't
really they lost by three, but never felt like they
were even Brian close to winning that game, so well,
I wish you luck today on the Colts. I do
have Giants plus seven and a half. We could both win.
Speaker 4 (44:56):
You can cover, you.
Speaker 3 (44:57):
Can get you can get get home. And the one
value of these these these entries is over four one
thousand dollars.
Speaker 5 (45:04):
Now right, yes, for people listening home with Jeff is saying,
you see, we had to have we had to pick
a game amongst the Christmas Week seventeen b Like you said,
there was three teams, three games you had to pick
a team from. So a couple of guys did have
the Bears because that's all they had left, so did
get knocked out. But luckily enough I had Seattle there
(45:24):
and today, like I said, there's some people that have
Buffalo left.
Speaker 4 (45:28):
They picked them. You know, I was.
Speaker 5 (45:31):
Really surprised yesterday, Jeff, again I don't think you were
on here. I was really surprised yesterday that eight people
had the Rams yesterday, so they got so lucky to
go through with you know, Arizona almost beating them, should
have beat them.
Speaker 4 (45:47):
At the end of the game.
Speaker 5 (45:48):
Eight people had the Rams, so four have the bills,
sixteen of US ethicals, four of the bills. Four have
the Bucks, and one half the Eagles, one Chargers he
got already through. Yeah, yep, so so only it's only
fourteen million.
Speaker 3 (46:04):
Interesting, So so someone still has the Eagles. The Eagles
left after this weekend, A couple Chargers left, A bunch
of bucks still have left. So yeah, for people that
have the.
Speaker 5 (46:14):
Bills, it's gonna be a big chop no matter what.
So it's gonna going to be a big chop no
matter what.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
Still, though, that's a sizeable chop.
Speaker 5 (46:22):
You know, we have Atlanta left first Carolina. So I'm
thinking Atlanta at home first Carolina next week should.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
Be for the division. Well, we'll see what this scenario is.
Speaker 3 (46:32):
It depends what happens if they Yeah, you can't lose
this weekend.
Speaker 4 (46:35):
Yeah, yeah, give me a line on that. What do
you guys think? What I say? Ten and a half?
A friend of mine said, fifteen?
Speaker 3 (46:42):
Wait Atlanta hosting Carolina. Yes, it's only eight and they're
at Tampa Bay today. It's not gonna be ten.
Speaker 4 (46:50):
It's gonna be you think it'll be under ten?
Speaker 3 (46:52):
No, I think Atlanta loses tonight, it'll be seven and
a half.
Speaker 5 (46:56):
Okay, can I like I want to I want to
lay that with Jeff, what do you say to be.
Speaker 3 (47:03):
Yeah, no, if it's a with Tampa and I think
this weekend obviously, I just came on the show today.
This weekend feels like there's a favorite tax where these
numbers are so big this weekend because the favorites continue
to cover, like Tampa Bay is not, in my opinion,
eight points better than Carolina. I'm not. I'm not betting
on that game because Carolina has some injuries that I'm
(47:24):
worried about. The Colts again, they're they're seven and a
half point favorites on the road. I think these numbers
are so to flay this weekend cracked. If we get
some some underdogs to bite this weekend, I think next
weekend we'll go back again. If Carolina's favorite is getting
eight points against Tampa Bay, Tampa is better than Atlanta.
Speaker 4 (47:41):
Of course they are so, but the must wins.
Speaker 5 (47:43):
If people are so crazy, they don't care what they
have to lay. Brian and I went to breakfast and
talk about this the other day.
Speaker 4 (47:49):
People don't care, they don't respect.
Speaker 5 (47:52):
The line the bookmakers put it up with the tax,
the tax meaning more of a higher spread, they still
lay it.
Speaker 3 (47:58):
So I want to explain. I want to explain something
about must win games, all right, and spoiler teams, because
this is very important. Okay, So a must win game
typically means you must not be very good. Okay. So like,
so those teams that have to win those games for
the most part, like to get in the playoffs, not
not for seeding purposes, like the Ravens are already in
(48:19):
the playoffs. Steels are warning the playoffs. You know, they're
playing for seeding, right, Like, that's not really a must
win per se, like Lions Vikings next weekend. If they're
both playing for the one, that's not a must win,
you're show in the postseason. I'm talking about like Atlanta,
right and Tampa Bay and teams that you know, the
the Bengals who yesterday beat for the first time, be
the team who has more than four wins, Okay, Like
(48:41):
they have the lowest strength of victory national football. It's
under three. It's under thirty percent. Okay, like the teams
they play or garbage do they beaten? So if you
have a must win, you must not be very good.
So let's talk about spoiler teams. Okay, everyone does this.
Oh they're a spoiler team of spoilings. A spoiler team
is not the forty nine who are old and being
down and don't have anyone healthy. That's not a spoiler team. Okay,
(49:04):
they're broken. The line's are gonna go in there and
they're gonna roll the foty hours of Monday night football.
You can put that in sharpie right now. It's one
that crack challenge plays who are gonna dominate the forty
nine ers. Okay, the Niners have nothing to play for.
They're they're there, their season is over, like they want
to be there. They want to be the playoffs. They're
not gonna make it. They're out there left tackle, they're
running back their best wife receive for like. They're out everyone.
(49:24):
They're they're they're done. The team that's a spoiler is
the Carolina Panthers, a young team that has nothing to
play for but pride, and they're playing better football right now,
right the last five games field goal loss, field goal loss,
overtime loss, blowout, beat, beat the Cardinals. They're You remember
a couple of years ago, in Week eighteen or Week seventeen,
(49:47):
I guess there was only sixty teams where the lines
went into Green Bay and beat green Bay tick him
out of the postseason. The lines were not we're not
a playoff team, young, hungry team right looking to prove something.
That's Carolina right now, it's not I don't even know
I do on the schedule today, Like, it's not like
the forty nine ers, it's not the Cardinals. Even from yesterday,
I thought the Rams just didn't play very well. I'm
not sure what the Cardinals doing, So be be very
(50:10):
careful when you wager this weekend on spoiler teams, on
must win teams like they must they're not very good
for a reason like that, like the Bengals. To me,
it's so funny, man, Everyone's like, well, don't want to
see them in the postseason.
Speaker 1 (50:23):
Oh, this is the season for that.
Speaker 3 (50:25):
This is what the team that can't be anyone good?
You don't see them in the postseason.
Speaker 1 (50:30):
That's all you're gonna hear this type of year. I
don't know. I wouldn't want to face Denver really well.
Speaker 3 (50:36):
The other one is the Rams right now. I don't
want to play the Rams. They've won like two last
three games by scoring twelve points, Like, are we are
we really worried about that team? Not the team were like,
don't don't want to play the Rams, So, yeah, don't
want to play the Bengals. Oh my god, the Chiefs
don't want to play the Bengals. They beat him like
three times in a row. And you mean teams that
want to play the Bangals. It's so silly to me.
So these are some narratives that we're going to get
(50:56):
in the next couple of weeks. So as far as
spoiler teams and and and the laden the number of
teams that must win, Like the Bucks must win today.
They have to win today. Caroline's kind of feisty though,
like they're playing good football. Yeah, they have a bunch
of injuries that Jesse was not going to play live.
Parser they probably get lose today, I would imagine. But
I don't buy the other spoiler team.
Speaker 5 (51:16):
Jeff, you being a veteran in the NFL, didn't you
guys think that in the locker room when you want to, Oh,
we could be a.
Speaker 4 (51:21):
Spoiler for this.
Speaker 3 (51:22):
We were. Yeah, we were two and fourteen, and we
got our butts swooped every single time we played a game.
It didn't matter that we wanted to be a spoiler.
We weren't very good. We weren't good Crack, Like, the
Niners are not good right now. We watched that game
last weekend. The Dolphins didn't play well. Brian watched that game.
The Dolphins didn't play like terribly well, and I wish
I wish Moster would have fallen out. I would have
(51:42):
hit a seventeen teaser if he just falls down there
at the end and said, crag seventeen, Jeff, I do
one Crack. I do one for my podcast every week,
and we've only been doing it for the last couple
of weeks. I had one leg left. No, we just
do for the podcast Crack, my own personal podcast. My
buddy and I do it hit. I've hit one that
(52:05):
paid for the rest of them. We've won't done it
for like five weeks. Now I hit one that paid
for the rest of them. But I need Niners plus
seven and they're down five and no timeouts left. If
most are a chain just falls to the ground, we cover,
I say, score a touchdown. But Niners are dead like
they're not. They're not spoiler team. They're terrible right now.
So just be careful wager on teams because they're qute
(52:26):
uquote spoiler teams. Guys, just just a word of advice
from your friendly formal offits alignment who bets on teasers? Crack,
you're not gonna like my uh my touchdown parlay I
did today, I tell you that.
Speaker 5 (52:35):
Oh God, listen, is the Bear doing this stuff too?
I'm gonna text Felika right now if he's doing this stuff.
Speaker 3 (52:41):
I know. This is just my own personals.
Speaker 4 (52:43):
Oh you're okay, Okay, I don't get these out.
Speaker 3 (52:46):
Okay, No, it's just my my own personal like we
just we just for fun, you know. It's one of
those people that, like, you know what I love about
the internet too, when people put out there like teasers
and parlays. After the fact, they're like, look, guys, I
made so much money, Like, well, why did you post
that before? Yet what about the other twenty seventy lost
I at least tell you I lost my teaser, right, Like,
(53:06):
I'll tell you I lost it. I mean, but I'll
tell you what these these moneyline parlays with favorites this
past couple of weeks, Like so.
Speaker 4 (53:14):
It's just it is.
Speaker 1 (53:16):
But yeah, we're just talking about this, Jeff, where we
have a lack of just stunning upsets in the NFL.
This season, it feels like we're overdue, like crack, you're
talking about this survivor pool, you know, and like normally
you'll see like how many times have you gotten you know,
ousted because something insane happened where you're thinking, no way
(53:37):
does this team like lose the game outright, and it'll happen.
We just we've we've had a we've been short changed
on that this season. It just feels like in week seventeen,
Week eighteen, we're overdue for something wild to happen where
you're just like, how in the world did this double
digit dog win the game outright? But we just haven't
(53:57):
had that for a while now.
Speaker 5 (53:58):
It was only early in the season. Ryan's right, we
have had nothing like that as of recent But well,
two more weeks, guys get through and I don't even
know what teams.
Speaker 3 (54:08):
I don't even know what what game there is today
that would be like was it Carolina being Tampa? I mean, yes,
that's the only one today. It's Carolina being Tampa, right,
is the only one where you're like, because otherwise pretty
much if.
Speaker 1 (54:20):
The Jets beat the Bill, you'd be like, whoa really.
Speaker 3 (54:23):
Yeah, I'm not worried about that. Happening, So that's not
an actual concern of mine.
Speaker 1 (54:28):
If the Giants won, that would be yeah, But the
Colts aren't even I know, I hear you, not like
they're a jugger nott.
Speaker 3 (54:35):
Do you hedge? Did your group hedge today? Do you
guys hedge?
Speaker 4 (54:38):
No? Not really?
Speaker 5 (54:39):
I mean I actually just like the Giants with the
seven and a half, There was an eight yesterday where
I was, so I did take the eight for a
little bit, but that wasn't more towards the hedge. It
was more towards just uh, the game was going more
towards seven.
Speaker 4 (54:52):
So I just took a not a big bet.
Speaker 1 (54:54):
But this is why you're a gem, crack. This is
why you're a gem, you know, because there are a
lot of people if they they were involved in a
survivor pool with fourteen million dollars on the line and
your pick is the Colts, the group that you're involved in,
they they would want nothing to do with any bet
on the Giants, right. You just want to root for
the Colts and it just Colts, Colts, Colts, And you're
(55:16):
such a sicko and I mean that affectionately, where you're like,
I kind of like the eight, kind of like the
eight with the giants trying to hit it right in
the middle there.
Speaker 3 (55:25):
But Crack does. But Crack only has a piece of
this one though.
Speaker 1 (55:29):
That's right, But still think about what.
Speaker 5 (55:31):
That's teams worth four hundred and twenty thousand, so twenty
percent of that you're talking?
Speaker 3 (55:34):
Wait? Should you wait?
Speaker 4 (55:35):
Show the question?
Speaker 3 (55:36):
So the actual buying for every entries one thousand dollars
right for the circle survivor?
Speaker 4 (55:41):
Correct?
Speaker 3 (55:42):
And then would you buy in twenty percent whatever weekend?
As you buying for the implied value at the moment, right, like,
you're not buying it for two hundred bucks.
Speaker 5 (55:48):
No, I bought it for four hundred thousand. I mean
for I'm sorry for the two hundred thousand. It was
worth two hundred and sixty six thousands.
Speaker 3 (55:54):
You bought it twenty percent there.
Speaker 5 (55:55):
I bought twenty percent, which they at a discount, which
actually costs forty grand. So I have a partner to
we put up twenty thousand each. We bought it at
a discount, so we we bought it with the implied
value at two hundred thousand, where it was worth two
sixty six. Now it's worth four to sixteen. But get
all saying all this throwing all these big numbers around.
Guess what if I had a chance to do it over,
(56:16):
I wouldn't have done it well because I did it
because this team that we chose had a clearer path
than the other teams. I mean there was everyone got
lucky to go on here, so even us, like I said,
when we had Carolina, I'm sorry we have Tampa Baalever Carolina,
we got really lucky. So everyone everyone had a clear path.
(56:37):
We had the clearest path, I should say, and everyone
got through. And to be real blunt to have Indianapolis
on the road and then maybe Atlanta next week. I
probably wish I wasn't. I probably wish I didn't buy
it back in.
Speaker 1 (56:49):
I do wonder what do we get out of this crack?
If you get through and you get a big chunk,
what did Jeff and I get out of this?
Speaker 5 (56:55):
You guys get You guys get free dinners and free
rooms in Las Vegas, win or lose?
Speaker 3 (57:00):
Oh okay, I mean he didn't make a call though.
Are you coming to New Orleans? Guys? You am coming
to New Orleans with Super Bowl?
Speaker 4 (57:08):
Probably not, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (57:09):
I'll be there. I'll be in Vegas in a May
crack for my wife's going to one of her festivals.
So I'll go into Uh, I'll be out there in May,
get you going.
Speaker 5 (57:19):
If you need a nicer hotel, you know, I'm gonna
embarrass you a little bit. So Jeff text me like
two weeks before the Super Bowl, Hey, can you anything
about rooms for the Super Bowl?
Speaker 4 (57:29):
I was like, well, oh in Vegas?
Speaker 5 (57:30):
Yeah, Jeff, the Super bowls in Vegas.
Speaker 3 (57:34):
It was for It wasn't for me I had had
It was for someone else.
Speaker 4 (57:38):
Oh, I thought it was for you last year. I wascause.
Speaker 5 (57:41):
I said, listen, I have a friend that works with stratusphere.
I could definitely get you in there, all brand new rooms.
Speaker 4 (57:45):
I thought. You said like, no, we're good, We're good.
Speaker 3 (57:48):
No, I no, I had I had a room in somewhere.
I had a room.
Speaker 4 (57:51):
Oh yeah, you had a room at the MGM.
Speaker 3 (57:54):
Yeah. Yeah, it was one of the It was a
it was a smaller hotel behind the MGM. I think
they had. But I was for a friend with the stress,
for someone else. Yeah, okay, I'll just I'll just ask
I was you know, I was toning it out there, man,
I'm just I'm just trying. I was trying to get out.
Speaker 4 (58:08):
It's funny.
Speaker 3 (58:09):
So some people, you know, they ask, uh, they ask
for stuff late, and you just gotta you hook them up.
Speaker 1 (58:14):

Speaker 1 (58:47):
Coming up next, I think it's a complete lack of
respect for one team in particular. We'll compare notes. Coming up,
it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to kick Off, presented
by BETMGM. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff.
Presented by BETMGM throughout the entire football season. BETMGM will
offer all different types of no sweat tokens. Be on
(59:07):
the lookout for no sweat same game parlay tokens, and
parlay boost tokens, just to name a couple, and be
sure to follow BETMGM across all socials at betmgm. Okay
a complete lack of respect for one team in particular.
I think it's the Oregon Ducks. I still can't get
over this. Jeff and I filled in a couple of
days ago here on FSR and we talked about this,
(59:31):
but we wanted to mention it on Countdown. If you
look at all the college football playoff games, there are
four second round games, obviously, and Oregon, the number one
team in the country, a two and a half point
dog against Ohio State, and it just it blows my
mind how much the tune has changed on the buck Eyes.
After losing to Michigan, it was doom and gloom. Ryan
(59:53):
Day is the worst this team, bah blah blah. They
crushed Tennessee and now they're favored against an undefeated team
that's number one in the country that beat them by
the way earlier. In the season. I just, hey, maybe
it's one of these Vegas nose type things. When it's
all said and done, wouldn't shock me if Ohio State wins.
(01:00:14):
But to be favored in this game against an undefeated
number one team is very surprising to me.
Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
Where to begin, sir, Yeah, it seems like a lot
of disrespect. But uh, I think Oregon likes this position, Brian.
I think Organ likes being doubted. I use it for motivation.
I mean, look, I heard from the internet reliably. I mean, look,
(01:00:46):
everyone said this. I can't dispute the internet that no
one can be to Ohio State with their offense is
playing that well because Tennessee and you five hundred yards passing,
you know, and uh it was it five hundred yards
passing and in yards to play. I mean, no one
could beat them. So I don't look at the box
score for the Organ game.
Speaker 6 (01:01:04):
Guys.
Speaker 3 (01:01:04):
I wouldn't advise doing that because you said no one
could be the house staying with their offense is playing
that well, and so I wouldn't want to break you
out your hearts for that. Look, man, it is what
it is. I'm oddly calm about this game, Brian. I'm
sure Wednesday will be a rack way we were on
Wednesday morning together, I'm sure I won't be puazant by
the way I feel about it, but nonetheless.
Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
Irish that day too, we're gonna go. We're gonna be
a handful of that day.
Speaker 3 (01:01:27):
Oh you're irish? Or the night? Oh they played the
morning they're.
Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
The early game, right, No, they have the Lake the
Lake game.
Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
Yeah, oh yes, Georgia, Georgia. You know a system where
the two conference championship losers are double digit favorites and
the two conference champion winners in the quarterfinals are around
pick them is a system that it needs to be
re explored next offseason because this offseason, because that's not
(01:01:53):
the best winning crowded champion in my opinion. Look, boys,
you state, great season, Why do you have a buy?
I don't know. They're gonna a boat race by Penn State.
That's my best bet of the weekend of those games,
I should say, as you could give Texas a run early,
I don't think they can last sixty minutes and then
Notre Dame and Georgia to me is a toss up.
Depends all say I think on how Gonnor Stuckton plays
(01:02:14):
I think Orgon's gonna win. This is kind of silly, Brian,
and maybe it's a fandom in me, but I watched
enough ball where it feels like it's our time finally
to win something like it sounds kind of sick, like
we've had a season where we are we are supremely healthy,
Like we're down zero starters heading into this game.
Speaker 4 (01:02:37):
One.
Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
Technically our starting corner hasn't played all season though, and
he might play it this weekend. He might, he might
be healthy enough to play, has to play a weekend otherwise.
Every player that started the season is starting for us
this weekend. So that's a pretty good spot to be in, right,
Like to have an entire team healthy. Ohio State can't
say that right Their offensive line is pretty beat up
right now, so we have that going for us. We've
(01:02:58):
also just played well every Mooney, even the Wisconsint game
we sort of almost lost, but we really didn't, and
that was that was eight straight games in a row.
We're off a bye in this one, so yeah, I mean,
can we lose, absolutely, But I feel okay, I feel
at ease with I think how we're gonna.
Speaker 5 (01:03:15):
Play thirty two thirty one does the score earlier in
the season. Yes, So I mean even this doesn't make
sense to a lot of the wise guys, A lot
of the sharp guys this line too. But you know
it opened up at one, quickly went to two, two
and a half.
Speaker 3 (01:03:31):
Yeah, think about it, corrac The last thing you saw
was Ohio State demolished Tennessee and organ did play last weekend, yep.
And I'll just say this. In that game, so the
first drive of the game, Ohio State threw a ball
to their tight end that was intercepted by Oregon's linebacker
by bossa no replay review next to no two plays
(01:03:52):
the score touchdown, so it should have been zero points
ro Host in that drive. Okay, Orkan had a fourth
and two later in the in the game, guys wide
open Gable just didn't throw it to them. That's seven points.
So that's not fourteen point swinging right there. Now, it's
thirty nine to twenty four, right Like, there's just two
plays that that's it. And that doesn't include a missfield
(01:04:13):
goal and it missed two point attempt and this and that.
So I think Oregon has a lot another gear toward it.
Last Oregon Common I'll make on this Oregon played three
defenses this year that were like top quality, right, Ohio State, Michigan,
Penn State. They scored the most points a game, the
most yards those three defenses allowed the entire season. Yeah,
(01:04:33):
thirty two to Ohio State, thirty eight Michigan, forty five
Penn State. So in all the big games we have
played well, Now, does that mean that there can't be
a tip pass or fumble that goes out?
Speaker 7 (01:04:45):
Like?
Speaker 3 (01:04:45):
Yeah, I mean those things that happen. Could there be
a special teams thing that happens. Absolutely, But in every
game where we've had to play our best, our best
has been available. So that's why I feel comfortable with
the Ohio State game on Wednesday. Doesn't mean we're gonna win.
I think it's a pretty close. I would be shocked.
I think you feel the same way, Brian. If this
game was anything outside of seven points in either direction,
(01:05:07):
it would shock me.
Speaker 4 (01:05:09):
Yeah. I hope it goes to three, goes to three.
Speaker 3 (01:05:12):
Yeah, but I think crack. I think it's not going
to three for the other ways. And I think every
single syndicate sees that three and they can't rush fast
enough to the sportsbook to put down like especially if
it goes on happens on Tuesday. When the limits are removed,
you're gonna get just huge way. I mean, you're gonna
be sitting there crack like, pounding the like. Except Button
(01:05:32):
Organs to plus three, everyone's I mean, I'm waiting for
it to I don't even better my own team, I'm
waiting for three too.
Speaker 5 (01:05:37):
I think about the total, Jeff, from fifty and a
half to fifty six.
Speaker 3 (01:05:42):
Now I would I think it's I think it's I
think neither team could win this game unless they score
in the thirtiestch and I think both teams they could
go for a fourth down. They're to go forward the
red zone. They're not kicking field goals, they're staying aggressive,
they're throwing deep like. So I think that it's all
over over over. Yeah, I would even I mean, I think,
(01:06:04):
of course you're not getting the best number, but you know, sixty,
I think it's over sixty in this game.
Speaker 1 (01:06:10):
Yeah, I feel the same way. I think this is
going to be a high scoring game. I mean, just
look at Ohio States offense, Jeff. We saw it last week,
you know.
Speaker 3 (01:06:19):
Well, yeah, I mean, they can't be stopped. So it's
it's weird. I mean, you know, there's no way like
a Michigan could stop him.
Speaker 1 (01:06:24):
I love how it's like literally one game. What it
takes one game for amnesia to hit like Will Howard
is no good Will Howard. Oh gosh, this guy. And
then he's great against Tennessee and may look out Will Howard.
Speaker 3 (01:06:35):
And what's crazy is is he played really well against Oregon.
He played great against organ Like if Will Howard plays
as good against Organs in the first game, Haws does
not win the rose Ball like that thing about like
he played a great game. He was completed pass. I'm
not sure threw a bad pass the entire game.
Speaker 1 (01:06:53):
Yeah, well he's capable of that. I don't want to
make him sound like a dud, but man, there's a
There are a lot of instances where bad Will Howard
has showed up this season. That's on more instances than
Dylan Gabriel. But we'll see, we'll see. I'm looking forward
to the Rose Bowl. Should be a great one, all right,
speaking of a great one, Gosh, these segues right themselves.
You know we've got Isaac Lohan tron withness this morning.
(01:07:14):
I low, what is going on?
Speaker 4 (01:07:15):
Buddy?
Speaker 7 (01:07:15):
Perfect timing because the inactives have just come out for
most of the six early games on the NFL schedule.
The Indianapolis Colts need a win over the Giants to
stay alive. Giants receiver Malik Neighbors is active for the game.
He had been questionable due to a toe injury. The
(01:07:35):
New York Jets playing at Buffalo. New York Jets receiver
Davonte Adams is active. He'd been questionable with a hip injury.
Cornerback Sauce Gardner is active as well. He'd been questionable
with a hamstring injury. Defensive tackle Quinn Williams is also
active for the Jets. He had been questionable, also due
(01:07:57):
to a hamstring injury. Also kicking off at one pm
Eastern time, the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the Dallas Cowboys. The
Eagles can clinch the NFC East with a win or
a tie. On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Rams defeated
the Arizona Cardinals thirteen to nine. A Kello Weatherspoon of
the Rams the game saving interception of the end zone
(01:08:17):
with thirty seven seconds to play. The Rams, at ten
and six takeover first place in the NFC West ahead
of the nine and seven Seattle Seahawks. Earlier on Saturday night,
the Cincinnati Bengals stayed alive with a thrilling thirty to
twenty four overtime victory over the Denver Broncos, who failed
to clinch a playoff spot for the second consecutive week.
T Higgins of the Bengals eleven catches for one thirty
(01:08:39):
one three touchdowns, including the game winning three yard touchdown
reception with one oh seven left in overtime. And in
the NBA on Saturday night, Jalen Brunson of the New
York Knicks scored fifty five points in a one to
thirty six to one thirty two victory at Washington. The
Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Sacramento King one two to
(01:09:01):
one twenty two in the debut of Sacramento interim head
coach Doug Christy. Guys, back to you.
Speaker 1 (01:09:07):
Thank you Ilo. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to
Kickoff presented by BETMGM all season long. Bet MGM's offering

the NFL. When a customer places an NFL wager on
a first touchdown scorer bet and he doesn't score first
but score second, BETMGM will return one hundred percent of
their stake back in cash. All right, let's do this.
Speaker 4 (01:09:30):
Let's go rush.
Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
Let's second chance score.
Speaker 3 (01:09:34):
It might be our last opportunity.
Speaker 4 (01:09:36):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:09:36):
All right, crack, we're looking for a first touchdown scorer.
Ideally and you win your bet. If not, you know, hopefully,
worst case scenario, he scores second, we get our money back.
Who do you have circled today?
Speaker 4 (01:09:49):
Jonathan Taylor? I need you, buddy.
Speaker 5 (01:09:52):
Yeah, I'm going with you for many reasons. Jonathan Taylor
plus two sixty at bet MGM again. Uh, looking for
that extra bonus there, just in case he doesn't score
the first one. Look a former, score a second one
and get our money back.
Speaker 1 (01:10:08):
Okay, what do you think, Jeff?
Speaker 3 (01:10:10):
I like James Cook plus four fifty for Buffalo. I
think they're going to control this game. And if he's
not firsty seconds, I mean, I think that's a good
way to put a plus four to fifty.
Speaker 4 (01:10:23):
Crack.
Speaker 3 (01:10:23):
Can we put these together? They call a parlay you
put two wagers together. Yeah, and you know you could
do that, and so I know it makes the odds much.
You know, you get nice payouts. Let me want to
let you know that.
Speaker 4 (01:10:34):
Okay, wonderful man, I'm gonna go.
Speaker 1 (01:10:39):
I had the same thing written down Jeff with James Cook.
I agree with you on that one. You take one,
I'll throw someone else in here. We're expecting weather in
this uh Titans Jags game. Let's go with Titans running
back Taj Spears. You know he's at plus five seventy five,
so almost six to one. Let's go with Spears to
get the first touchdown and that game. If we're getting
(01:11:01):
any type of weather and he's more likely to run
it a little bit more, I think that helps our
odds a little bit. By the way, crack, I just
had a complete nightmare flashback last year. I had a
numerous parlays going on. Jonathan Taylor was the last leg.
I'll never forget this. He's playing against Carolina. Got off
(01:11:21):
to a great start, I had his rushing yards over
great start. Did not get there. I would have won
like eight or nine thousand dollars on the last leg
and JT just he couldn't quite get there. So that
was unfortunate. Everything else, you know, everything else hit everything.
Speaker 4 (01:11:41):
JT. No.
Speaker 1 (01:11:42):
But hopefully that's not the case today. Sorry for the
horror story connected to your pick right there, But look
at last week with Taylor. My lord, he went ballistic.
Jeff and I were talking about this crack. So you
look at Jonathan Taylor. Okay, for two weeks ago he
dropped the ball four scoring against the Broncos. Right, we
all remember that, But then last week he made up
(01:12:05):
for it. Look at his stat line twenty nine carries
for two eighteen and three touchdowns. Meanwhile, meanwhile, quarterback Anthony
Richardson crack, he was seven for eleven. He was seven
for eleven in a game in twenty twenty four.
Speaker 4 (01:12:20):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (01:12:20):
Like, this is some nineteen seventies type stuff. Seven for eleven.
Speaker 3 (01:12:25):
Really, there's no this is why the Colts thing. It
just it's out. It's ludicrous. Yeah, this is even that
they're a touchdown moyl mat fact.
Speaker 5 (01:12:36):
I agree. I agree, it's it's it's it's too much.
But what's gonna happen with this giant team? I mean, Jeff,
does that happen on?
Speaker 4 (01:12:45):
You?
Speaker 5 (01:12:45):
Come on, give us a little inside information? Do we say, Hey, guys,
don't worry about this game. You know, we're just gonna
get the first route joy.
Speaker 3 (01:12:52):
No, they mean okay, so it's a quietly I thought,
here's a fun thing. Okay, So you know, uh, the
team is gonna try to win, right, because that's what
happens on Sundays. Right Brian Davis coaching for his job,
Drew Locker is trying to win this game. All the
players are trying to win. I've been this, Spot've been
(01:13:12):
two and fourteen. I know what this feels like. But
doesn't mean you're going to the way you tank is
in the front office. It's like you, you know, you're
like all mylik neighbors. Oh you can't play this week.
You're a little bit hurt, but neighbors just playing. Like
So they're gonna try to win crack. It doesn't mean
they're going to but they're gonna try.
Speaker 1 (01:13:29):
Yeah, oh they will, absolutely.
Speaker 4 (01:13:31):
I kind of knew it. I was just really teasing.
I mean, of course, of course no one says that.
I just didn't know what the mental.
Speaker 3 (01:13:37):
So who are doing the touchdown parlay again? What are
we doing?
Speaker 1 (01:13:40):
Yeah? Yeah, yeah, Adam to the parlay. We've got Bill
Krackenberger from crack wins dot Com. Sports handicapper Jeff Schwartz,
eight year NFL veteran, I'm Brian no Ore. Thanks to

Speaker 2 (01:14:56):
Right, let's do this prop it up player plays.
Speaker 1 (01:15:02):
Yes, so many prop bet opportunities.
Speaker 4 (01:15:05):
Crack.
Speaker 1 (01:15:05):
We'll start with you. What's something you like.
Speaker 5 (01:15:07):
Let's go with the Browns, Judy under receiving yards.
Speaker 4 (01:15:12):
Bad weather today, terrible play out there. Let's check out
the MGM line here on Judy. Sorry didn't have that
for you, guys.
Speaker 5 (01:15:20):
But yeah, so this this game, this is like one
of the biggest moves of the year, by the way, guys,
total wise opened up forty one down to thirty three
at bet MGM. I'll come back on that on that
number for you in a second.
Speaker 4 (01:15:35):
Go ahead, Jeff, all right.
Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
I like so we talked about earlier, big fan of
Josh Allen under rushing yards and one thing I've done
a lot this this year, and I'm gonna go back
to it again. Guys, I like gain well he goles
back up running back over sixty and a half rushing yards.
Speaker 4 (01:15:53):
There we go.
Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
It's it's a game script thing where you know the
Eagle's gonna run the ball a lot without Jalen Hurts,
and that means that Barkley is gonna get a lot
of carries. But also them is gamewell. We'll get a
lot of carries, and we talked about this often he
goes run the ball a lot on a third down,
and who's the running back on third down? It is Gainwell,
So give me Gainwell over sixty and a half rushing yards.
(01:16:16):
He had thirty in the first meeting against the Cowboys.
So I like playing these backup running backs in these spots.
I like Bucky Irving today against Carolina. But everyone's sort
of on that today, so I stayed away, and I
don't want to be in that boat. I feel like
a dummy. I think if I missed that one. But
Gainwell and Josh Allen over Gainwell under Josh Allen.
Speaker 1 (01:16:38):
How are we on Rashad White because he's not listed
with any rushing yards chef? Is he nicked up? Is
he not gonna go today?
Speaker 4 (01:16:45):
What's going on with him?
Speaker 3 (01:16:46):
Oh? I haven't seen in actives. I haven't seen any
news about him.
Speaker 4 (01:16:49):
I have been either.
Speaker 1 (01:16:50):
He's just not listed at all. He doesn't have a
prop bet, which is rare. So that was a red
flag from me with Rashad White. So I don't know
if he's limited. Yeah, Bucky would get more of the workload.
Speaker 3 (01:17:02):
You know, he's up today.
Speaker 1 (01:17:04):
I don't see him. I don't see his rush.
Speaker 2 (01:17:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:17:06):
Maybe someone's hitting him and it's down for a second,
which does happen.
Speaker 5 (01:17:10):
Yeah, you know what that that's the reason why I
didn't see Judy. Judy was down for a second. They're
forty four and a half here, absolutely.
Speaker 3 (01:17:16):
Right, you're still look it under forty four and a half.
Speaker 4 (01:17:18):
Well, I'll tell you there's a lot of weather here.
Speaker 5 (01:17:21):
So I'm noticing that lots of the sportsbooks are taking
down receiving yards.
Speaker 4 (01:17:27):
Yeah, and a lot of these games with weather, it's right.
So yeah, I still like the under guys.
Speaker 1 (01:17:35):
Yeah, I'll go with Jordan Love give me the Packers quarterback.
I'll take him. This is going it is ticking up
a little bit. I bet it at under over two
forty seven and a half. Passing yards last night it's
ticked up a couple of yards. You have to take
over two fifty and a half. But the Vikings have
done such a nice job with their rush defense. That's
an interesting matchup. We'll get into it next hour. Is
(01:17:57):
Josh Jacobs had a great year running the ball, but
this Vikings rush defenses for real. In their past defense,
they give up a ton of yards and Jordan Love
he's protected the football. He's again playing really good football
down the stretch. I look for him to throw for
a good amount of yardage against this Vikings defense. So
I'll take over two fifty and a half for Jordan Love.
Speaker 3 (01:18:17):
There.
Speaker 4 (01:18:20):
Okay, we're in. We're in.
Speaker 1 (01:18:22):
I gat the silence means you guys are in full support.
Speaker 4 (01:18:26):
I'm betting. I'm on bet MGM. I have to admit it.
I was betting some.
Speaker 5 (01:18:31):
First which we're gonna go over later on the game,
first team to score props.
Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
But there are so many props that I love this week.
Speaker 3 (01:18:39):
Did you know that a James Cook of Jonathan Taylor
first touchdown parlay crack plus eighteen eighty.
Speaker 5 (01:18:46):
Oh man, yeah, plus plus almost nineteen to one four
with a peanut bet ten grocery dollars or something.
Speaker 4 (01:18:52):
I guess. Yeah, Okay, yeah, there we go.
Speaker 3 (01:18:54):
See I didn't say I did it. I'm just saying
it's available.
Speaker 4 (01:18:57):
Okay, Jeff.
Speaker 1 (01:18:58):
We haven't hit these longest rush props in a little while,
but there are some opportunities. There are some opportunities to
who do you fetch those in today? James Cook has
got to be one of those guys with the bills
so too. All right, the previews continue. Oh, welcome in
Happy Sunday to you. Week seventeen. We are less than
an hour away from kickoff, and uh yeah, that early
(01:19:22):
window is oof. It is stinky. That is a stinky
early window of non marquee matchups. But hey, good news,
we got a marquee matchup in the late afternoon window.
Packers at the Vikings. Now that is a matchup right there.
Looking forward to this one, and uh, just a double
check because there's been some line movement. Yes, the Vikings
(01:19:44):
favored by one at home. I just listen. If the
Packers win, I would not be stunned whatsoever. But this,
to me is a disrespectful line. You've got the Vikings
a thirteen and two team and they're a one point
favorite at home. They were a dog at home for
a portion of this week, and I'm just like, really,
(01:20:06):
I know, green Bay is good, I get that, but
what do the Vikings need to do? Sam Darnald, he's
had a good season.
Speaker 2 (01:20:14):
I know.
Speaker 1 (01:20:14):
There's a donald stench. It's kind of like the early
window of games here where you look at the games
you're like, oh gosh, even though Donald has played really
well this season. There are a lot of people that
are just like I just it's Donald. You know, a
when's he gonna turn into a frog here? He hasn't
turned into a frog all season long. He's fourth in
passer rating. He's number four in passer rating this season.
(01:20:36):
If you just blindly looked at his stats, would you
sign up right now for thirty two touchdown passes and
eleven interceptions? I would that That's what Donald's done. So
I don't know if it was just one week or
two weeks. He's been playing average football and just did
well the last couple of games. That's one thing he's
played well all season, and yet they're just a one
(01:20:58):
point favorite. I think it's disrespect.
Speaker 3 (01:21:01):
Well, maybe just telling you that the Vikings maybe aren't
as good as we think and the Packers are better.
But the question I have for this game is, you
know the Packers they've lost four games, Eagles first week
of the season, Lions I think by ten and three,
and then they lost to the Vikings by two when
Jordan Love came back as first came back off that
(01:21:23):
knee injury. So they haven't beat a team like this yet.
Brian and that's my concern about this game, right It's
like they haven't shown they can do this now. Certainly
can they, yeah, absolutely, But the Vikings just seem to
be in this runner right now where you have to
do something sort of extraordinary to beat them, and I
don't know if the Packers have shown the ability to
(01:21:44):
do that. It doesn't mean they can't or they won't,
but I haven't showed the ability this year to do
that quite yet.
Speaker 5 (01:21:52):
Yeah, you know, the Vikings will need a win here
to stay in this race for the number one seed
home field advantage in the playoffs. A win would actually
set up a huge game next week first Detroit, the
winner getting the number one seed. So the Packers' motivation
isn't as strong as they clenched their wild card spot
last week. Still, this game is lined Minnesota one. You know,
(01:22:13):
the public very high on the Packers. The Vikings maybe
the most overlooked and underappreciated thirteen and two teams, just
like Brian said, maybe in NFL history. But you know,
if they can win out and get that number one seed,
they're a real threat there to win their first championship
in their history. You know, Brian, I think you.
Speaker 4 (01:22:33):
Said it, right.
Speaker 5 (01:22:34):
I really think it's Darnold's. I really think everyone I
speak to says the same. Oh no, it's but look
at the season he's had. Look look at the season
the team's had. So a big game for them today.
Speaker 3 (01:22:45):
Good luck paying them sixty million dollars this offseason. I'll
tell you that.
Speaker 4 (01:22:47):
That's right, that's right.
Speaker 3 (01:22:49):
I wouldn't want to do that when I was Minnesota,
But I'm in there, I'm mine their shoes, So what
it's not for me to say, I just i'd be
really I question paying them all that money.
Speaker 1 (01:22:59):
I would too, Absolutely I would. But it's just interesting
when you look at these two quarterbacks, think about the
general feeling about Donald and think about the general feeling
about Jordan Love, and yet you look at them and
they've thrown the exact same number of interceptions. And Jordan
Love has missed a handful of games due to injury. Right,
(01:23:20):
so they've both thrown eleven interceptions. Jordan Love has done
that in more limited time, and Donald has thrown eight
more touchdown passes. If you just look this season, Donald
better passer rating, more yards per game, higher completion rate,
just more, more, better, better, And yet it's more about
what has happened in the past than what is happening
(01:23:41):
in the present. That's why people favor Jordan Love more
than Sam Darnald, and I get it to an extent.
I get it. But the point is it's about the
here and now, not what happened with the Jets like
years ago. For Sam Darnald, you gotta look at the
here and now.
Speaker 3 (01:23:55):
Yeah, but I think too, like it's okay to say that,
like we went a core back sort of is on
his fourth team and all of a sudden is good.
There's always gonna be a little bit of doubt of
why that is, Like why is he on his fourth
team and we're still questioning whether he can play? I
mean that is fair to have some skepticism, I think, Brian,
when it comes to that.
Speaker 1 (01:24:14):
Yeah, I think that it's fair to have some skepticism,
but full blown skepticism when the team is thirteen and two,
I just I think it goes too far, is my
only point. I think the skepticism goes too far.
Speaker 3 (01:24:28):
I'm generally I'm with you on that that he can
go too far. But this game, again, this game is
fascinating that I really have nothing on this game. This number,
to me feels a little bit off, but not enough
where I think I feel like there's an edge on
taking the vikings here, but really funny to watch. Obviously
matters a lot for Minnesota to keep pace with the Lions.
I think the Lions tomorrow night handle business fairly easily,
(01:24:49):
easily enough against a team in Niners. I think, as
I said manager, that feel pretty dead.
Speaker 5 (01:24:56):
This game's actually amazing opened up, and you think, out
of all these game today, which, like we've talked about
all day long, how much just just some bad games today,
this is the best game of the day, and yet
it's not the biggest bet game, not even close. There's
no money on this game. We talked earlier to Christian too.
It opened up and it really didn't move.
Speaker 4 (01:25:15):
There's just no People don't know what to do in
this game.
Speaker 5 (01:25:18):
That's kind of interesting considering it's the best game of
the day you supposed to supposedly Yeah, and he said.
Speaker 1 (01:25:24):
Whatever money there is on this game, he said, seventy
percent of it is on the Packers, So a lot
more belief in Green Bay, which I understand. Let me
throw this at you, guys, what do you think about
it's strength versus strength. You look at Minnesota's rush defense,
they've been great. They're number two in rush defense. Meanwhile,
the Packers number four in rushing offense. So it's that
(01:25:45):
Vikings rush defense against Josh Jacobs, who's had a really
strong year. How good of a game do you think
Josh Jacobs has here against the Vikings?
Speaker 3 (01:25:56):
Well, I think if you're the Vikings, you'd rather stop
the run in four love to beat you, right, I
think that's the way you do. I think it's probably
maybe a decent wager to fade Jacobs in the spot.
Speaker 1 (01:26:07):
Yeah, yeah, you crack. What do you think? What do
you think Josh Jacobs does against this Vikings rush defense?
Speaker 4 (01:26:13):
You know, I didn't even look at that prop. I
don't think.
Speaker 5 (01:26:16):
I said I sent you guys a bunch of props.
Did not get involved in that one. But I'll tell
you I really have. You know, if you guys remember
back last year first week, we had some under on
quarterback props. As we speak, I'm still betting under weather
quarterback props. Give a hint to everyone for the next
the end of the show, I'll be giving out some
(01:26:38):
under on quarterback props and bad weather so maybe you
guys get to get a jump on all these bad
weather quarterback props. I just don't think the win the
wins everything, So the win may be everything. And a
few of these games, the Cleveland game, the Jacksonville game,
maybe even there's a couple, like I said, there's a
couple of games throughout the country here. But so under
(01:26:58):
on quarterback props. Look the hand the ball off instead
of throwing in that wind by.
Speaker 1 (01:27:03):
The way, crag, how about bad quarterbacks in bad weather?
That's even better, right for the under for the unders?
Speaker 5 (01:27:10):
It is, it is, but it's kind of factored in
the line.
Speaker 4 (01:27:12):
Their their number. But you're right, you're right.
Speaker 5 (01:27:14):
Bad quarterbacks even make it even worse. And you just wonder,
even you wonder, like like Vegas, New Orleans, these backup quarterbacks,
like what are they thinking? They just want to I
guess the quarterbacks themselves want to make themselves look better
for a future position. I really shouldn't say that, but
just in general, what are the players on the field
thinking just to get the game over with, go home
(01:27:36):
and spend the off season with their families. I mean,
it's interesting that you have to put the human element
into these into these type of situations.
Speaker 1 (01:27:44):
By the way, Jeff, you were talking about attacks this
week with all these favorites winning and consistently covering this
Carolina Tampa game. It got up to ten and a half,
it went back down to ten, but for briefly GM
it was that ten and a half for a divisional game,
Like that's that's a heavy tax. And now I think Tampa,
(01:28:08):
I think their offense is gonna be a handful today
against Carolina. They're just coming off a loss, disappointment against
Dallas on the road last week. A couple of fluky
spots where they should have put points on the board,
the interception in the end zone which looked like it
could have been a touchdown. You know. Like, I just
think Tampa against a bad Carolina defense, they're gonna run
(01:28:30):
the ball like crazy. Baker's gonna do his thing. I
think they're gonna put up a lot of points today,
but still ten points with a really bad pass defense.
That's a lot of points in a divisional A lot
of points.
Speaker 3 (01:28:42):
Yeah. Carol has some injuries that I think are concerned
right again, their corners are out, their linebackers are out.
Like it does feel like people are moving this number
because of that. But again this goes to sort of
the heavy favorites tax, Like this was eight early in
the week, and now it's ten. I feel like we're
gonna get a text some cracks and like, guys, I'm
(01:29:03):
taking the ten feels like ten. It feels like an
insane number.
Speaker 5 (01:29:09):
He might be they should have beat them in Carolina, Carolina.
Speaker 3 (01:29:12):
But I don't know how much that matters to me
when it comes to like this is a couple of
weeks later, like that was what did happen? That mean
it's gonna happen again? Bucky Irving ran for a billion
yards against them. I feel like the Bucky Irving props,
Like it's too simple to just say, I'm thinking Bucky
Irving props, but that is something that's something to look
at for today. I'm not doing it because I I
(01:29:35):
don't want to be with everyone else on that prop.
Speaker 1 (01:29:38):
Essentially, why not join the fun Jeff, Huh, everybody's partying here.
Speaker 3 (01:29:43):
I missed the start of the show today. As we
talked about earlier, do we cover how Zach Tayl should
be for a minute?
Speaker 1 (01:29:49):
You weren't listening the whole time, Jeff?
Speaker 4 (01:29:51):
What was that? I was grambling.
Speaker 3 (01:29:53):
I was trying to talk to the the att virtual chat,
the small virtual chat. Oh wow. My kids like are
like running around the house, and my wife's like, can
I help you? I'm like, just don't talk to me. Okay,
that's what help.
Speaker 4 (01:30:11):
It's great.
Speaker 3 (01:30:11):
Don't just don't talk to you.
Speaker 1 (01:30:13):
Don't do to help you. How can I help?
Speaker 4 (01:30:14):
What do you need? What?
Speaker 1 (01:30:15):
I don't say words?
Speaker 3 (01:30:17):
I was like, I was like, guys, what it needs
the internet to work. I don't need anything else to work.
I don't need you to talk to me. You can
do nothing to help me, like, just my I love
my I love my f Obviously, my wife is very
technologically illiterate, so like she doesn't realize that her iPads
the same as her iPhone, Like it's just some of
(01:30:38):
those things where like just the technology like just shuts
off when she leaves work. She can use your computer
find at work and all the ex cell spreadsheets, ivery
thing she used you to do for work. She can
operate any equipment that she had to operate as a
floor nurse. Not a problem iPad iPhone using the controls
for the TV on our house just no idea how
to do it. So it's like, can I help you? Yeah, yeah, sure.
Speaker 1 (01:31:03):
I'm sorry because I I cut I like steered you
differently over here. You know, but you were gonna say,
was it Zach Taylor? What were you going to get
to there?
Speaker 3 (01:31:11):
Zach Taylor? Yet we talk?
Speaker 1 (01:31:13):
Do you want that? Do you want that to be
last night?
Speaker 4 (01:31:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:31:15):
I don't want that. I feel like, as long as
he's there, the Bengals are no threat to the Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (01:31:19):
But what I really, yeah, I didn't realize you're down
on Zach table.
Speaker 3 (01:31:26):
Did you watch it in that game last night when
he decided to have Joe Burrow score touchdowns? I just
take three knees to get a field goal and in
the game.
Speaker 1 (01:31:33):
Well, well, I disagree with you because it was the
Chase Brown injury changed everything. And now there is an
argument where you don't run it in on second down
and you're you're you use up the final time out.
But they absolutely should have scored a touchdown after the
Chase Brown injury. You don't you don't think that should
have happened?
Speaker 3 (01:31:53):
What was what was the so the Chase manager? Cause
it caused him a call time out?
Speaker 1 (01:31:58):
Right here? Hold on once, Jeff, we'll recircle. We've we've
got some breaking news with Ilo. First breaking news from
Fox Sports.
Speaker 7 (01:32:09):
In the NBA, ESPN has just reported that the Los
Angeles Lakers have agreed to trade DiAngelo Russell, Maxwell Lewis,
and three second round draft picks to the Brooklyn Nets
in exchange for Dorian Finney Smith and Shake Milton back
to you.
Speaker 4 (01:32:27):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:32:28):
I love this. This could get the Lakers to the
eight seed.
Speaker 3 (01:32:31):
Maybe. Look, I will admit I don't watch a ton
of NBA. I watched a lot on Christmas.
Speaker 4 (01:32:39):
Uh huh?
Speaker 1 (01:32:40):
That good for you?
Speaker 3 (01:32:41):
Nice? Yeah? Yeah, I don't know who these players are
that got traded to the Lakers.
Speaker 1 (01:32:47):
You don't know. Sake Milton comes back?
Speaker 3 (01:32:49):
That is that bad?
Speaker 1 (01:32:50):
Brian and Finney Smith?
Speaker 4 (01:32:52):
You know?
Speaker 3 (01:32:52):
Are we? Are we getting the championship?
Speaker 5 (01:32:53):
Now?
Speaker 3 (01:32:54):
Are we winning this year?
Speaker 4 (01:32:54):
No?
Speaker 1 (01:32:55):
No, you are not.
Speaker 3 (01:32:56):
This doesn't help us win, No, it does not. Can
these guys three pointers when Lebron throws the ball.
Speaker 1 (01:33:02):
To them, shake a little, a little? It's certainly not.
Speaker 3 (01:33:07):
He's we're taking shake milon overs immediately when he gets no.
Speaker 1 (01:33:10):
Yeah, I would not, I would not that. But the
scenario here, let's do this, Jeff, we'll recircle that because
the the scenario yesterday was amazing and for for cracks
under bet of fifty two. Jeff, this was one of
the most disgusting beats.
Speaker 3 (01:33:26):
I had Begels plus plus, Broncos plus three and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:33:30):
That was gross too. Good line, that was gross too.
But what should have happened was they run the clock
out and kick a field goal. But Chase Brown got hurt.
It changed everything. It was one of the flukiest endings
you will see. But we'll revisit that. That's on the way.
We've got Bill Krachenberger from crack Wings dot com. Jeff Schwartz,
(01:33:50):
eight year NFL veteran, I'm Brian know also coming up next.
It was a decent debut, but what will the next
week look like? It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to

(01:34:37):
The Bengals crazy win over the Broncos. So the endgame
scenario here, it's under two minutes to go, Denver has
one timeout. The Bengals have the ball inside the ten
yard line, and so the Broncos have one timeout. What
the Bengals were trying to do was just run the
(01:34:58):
clock out and kick a field go with like fifteen
seconds to go, and they win the game. And so
Chase Brown ran the ball from like the seven to
the one, and he went down as he should have,
but he got hurt. He got injured, and so there's
the injury stopped the clock. The Broncos got a free timeout,
and so they they had one time out left, and
(01:35:20):
so there's about a minute forty two or something along
those lines left, and the Bengals are thinking, okay, we could,
you know, force them to use their final time out
and then what there's we want to score a touchdown.
We don't want to just kick a field goal, and
they have a minute left, and you know, you have
a minute to at least tie the game and maybe
(01:35:41):
a minute to score the go ahead touchdowns. I think
once Chase Brown got hurt, it was absolutely the right
move to score a touchdown, Absolutely the right move.
Speaker 3 (01:35:52):
Well, they should have just taken a knee three times
and kicked the field goal instead of having chased broad
even attempted to rush.
Speaker 1 (01:35:58):
Fair enough, that's fair.
Speaker 3 (01:35:59):
Yeah, they didn't play that situation like a winning organization
should play. It really frustrates me when you have coaches
that get paid a lot of money, that have people
on their staff that should help them in these situations,
and they routinely, like Zach Taylor, routine routinely makes these mistakes.
(01:36:20):
It feels like all the time.
Speaker 1 (01:36:22):
Yeah, and yeah, you.
Speaker 3 (01:36:24):
Should just put the ball in the middlefield and taking
a knee. Exhausted the time, you can't keep the field
goal that that would have been I get York missed
later in the game. That field goal was much longer.
This would have been less an extra point right down
the middle.
Speaker 1 (01:36:36):
If you can't make that kick kicker like, I have
no issue with that, But what would you have said.
Let me ask you this, if if Chase Brown runs
the ball down to the one yard line, goes down
and they run the time out, would you be saying,
why did you even run that play on first down?
Would you be second guessing that without Actually.
Speaker 3 (01:36:55):
It seems it seemed like the plan. It didn't seem
like a plan was thought out. I mean, Chase Brown
should have gone down at the two. He like awkwardly
went down the one. He's like, oh shoot, I need
to go down Like. It didn't sound like that they
had a plan for that play at all. It sounds
like they just told him, I mean, just score and
because Brown, if Brown was thinking about that, he would
(01:37:17):
have handled that a little differently. Where it seemed like
he was running was like, oh shoot, well I have
to stop, and he stopped the one yard like an
awkwardly tackle. I'm not blaming it for getting hurt. My
point is that it did not seem like there was
a plan in place for the situation. And Zach Taylor
routinely has those problems where and again, a lot of
coaches do the same thing. He goes back to like
(01:37:37):
Paton Ardousey would pit the other day, We're like just
no plan whatsoever for the end of the game. And
it really I think it's one of the reasons why
the Bengals are where they're at right now. When they
had that one magical year, they're not close to that again,
even though defensively, I mean offensively they're really really good.
But you know, the Bengals are interesting because if they
pay t Higgins, they're gonna have Jamar Chase pay Tie Higgins,
(01:37:58):
pay Joe Burrow paid. It's a lot of money for
three players. Not a lot of championships are one with
two wide receivers making top dollar.
Speaker 1 (01:38:08):
I'll tell you though, crack though, if Chase Brown doesn't
get hurt, you're under cash. Is no sweat at all? Yeah, none.
Speaker 4 (01:38:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:38:15):
And that's the other thing. If he just even after
getting hurt, if he just can stand up right, can
just stand up, they run the time off the clock
and kick a field goal with like fifteen seconds to go.
You remember back in the day, this happened with the
Rams when Marshall Falk was still playing, and I think
it was like Oza Keem or one of his teammates
(01:38:36):
got dinged up and it was a similar situation. He
went over there, Marshall Falk and picked him up. He
knew the situations like if you can just stand here,
we're going to win this game and run the time
off the clock. And if Chase Brown could have done
that once that became the scenario, they would have kicked
the last second field goal and won easily.
Speaker 4 (01:38:55):
Yeah, just think about this.
Speaker 5 (01:38:57):
How about this, because there was threes and a couple
three and a half s which mister Schwartz had had
one of the three and a half's just think about
the billions that's right, with a b billions of dollars
in swing there on the under, over on the total,
like I said, on the uh by the way, on
the second half line also and on the full game line,
(01:39:18):
billions of dollars at steak there. And unfortunately Jeff and
I both me with the under and Jeff with the
Denver Broncos plus three and a half both came on
the wrong side of that.
Speaker 4 (01:39:30):
That was you know, I don't complain about bad beats.
I don't really do.
Speaker 5 (01:39:34):
Justus I was sitting in the sportsbook with these people
with Denver Broncos jerseys behind me.
Speaker 4 (01:39:39):
I mean just it was crazy. It was just I
was just like, I.
Speaker 5 (01:39:43):
Gotta get out of here, even for the bet, like
it wasn't you know, it's nowhere near a giant bet
for me, but it was a good sized bet, and
it was just like, wow, that's that's tough to watch
these type of things.
Speaker 4 (01:39:58):
And you know, you could see why p people go
off though.
Speaker 5 (01:40:01):
You could see why the human element, as I used
that word again, you could see why.
Speaker 4 (01:40:05):
The internal skills.
Speaker 5 (01:40:07):
It takes a lot with a full fledged casino in
back of you, blackjack, crap, slot machines, video poker, it
takes a lot of internal skills not to go out
there and start chasing. So I understand what people go
through when they're in these type of environments, and I
feel for you guys. You just have to know that
there's another game and another spot around the corner.
Speaker 1 (01:40:29):
Yeah, and there's another update around the corner. All right,
Maybe tell yourself that as well. Isaac loewenkron Our main man.
I low with the latest, what is going on?
Speaker 3 (01:40:39):
I low?
Speaker 1 (01:40:42):
I love see round twelfellows.
Speaker 7 (01:40:43):
The latest comes from the NBA, where ESPN reported a
short time ago that the Los Angeles Lakers have agreed
on a trade, sending DiAngelo Russell, Maxwell Lewis in three
second round draft picks to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange
for Dorian Finney Smith and Shake Milton.
Speaker 1 (01:41:00):
In the NFL. Coming up at the top of.
Speaker 7 (01:41:02):
The hour, the Buffalo Bills can clinch the two seed
in the AFC with a win over the New York Jets.
Bill's safety Damar Hamlin inactive today because of a rib injury.
Jets receiver DeVante Adams is active. He'd been questionable with
a hip injury. Jets defensive tackle Quinn Williams and cornerback
Sauce Gardner are both active. Both of them had been
(01:41:23):
questionable with hamstring injuries. Also coming up at the top
of the hour, the Indianapolis Colts need a win to
keep their playoff hopes alive as they take on the
New York Giants. Giants receiver Malik Neighbors is active. He'd
been questionable with a toe injury. Also at the top
of the hour, the Philadelphia Eagles can cleanse the NFC
championship with a win or a tie as they play
(01:41:45):
host to the Dallas Cowboys. But all that NBA and
NFL news fellas pales in comparison to the massive controversy
brewing as we speak in the world of chess.
Speaker 1 (01:41:59):
Yes, I heard about it. I saw an alert about this. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:42:02):
World Champion Grandmaster Magnus Carlson has been disqualified from a
World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships for wearing jeans, which
was a violation a violation of the International Chess Federation's
dress code. Carlson told his side of the story to
(01:42:26):
the wildly popular Chess podcast Take Take, Take.
Speaker 9 (01:42:32):
So I put on a shirt to jacket and honestly,
like I didn't even think about the gens. So and
I even you know, I even changed my shots. I
didn't even think about it. Honestly, I'm too old at
this point to care too much.
Speaker 4 (01:42:50):
Like it's fine by me.
Speaker 9 (01:42:51):
I'll, you know, probably head off to somewhere with a
weather it's a bit a bit nicer than here.
Speaker 4 (01:42:59):
And yeah, that's it.
Speaker 7 (01:43:00):
That's all right, baby. Kudos to Magnus Carlson for refusing
to be the International Chess Federation's pawn.
Speaker 4 (01:43:08):
Back to you.
Speaker 1 (01:43:10):
There you go. I low with the latest. It is
Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by bet MGM.

check it out. Just search Fox Sports Radio wherever you

Speaker 4 (01:43:26):
Just search Fox Sports Radio wherever.
Speaker 1 (01:43:28):
You get your podcasts, and you'll see this show posted
right after we get off the year. Some wild stuff
that happens in chess. There was another chess player that
tried to poison another one. Oh yeah, it's the whole Yeah,
we got some drama. Okay, how about Falcons at Washington?
That's your Sunday night game. A decent debut for Michael
(01:43:51):
Pennix Junior last week. Decent debut had a misleading interception.
It bounced off of Kyle Pitts and led to a
pick there. But he threw for two hundred and two yards.
What do you think happens in his follow up here
on the road against Washington? They have a leaky rush defense.
I would think the Falcons lean on Bejeon Robinson pretty
(01:44:14):
heavily in that running game. But yeah, what do you
expect from Pennix Junior in this spot?
Speaker 3 (01:44:19):
I feel like I'm the the public on this one
was on Washington in this game, guys. So Michael Pennock
is playing this first road game as a rookie in
a tough spot for the next field is pretty lively
when the crowd is into it. Can trust me they
crowd will be into it on Sunday. I think people
look at the Washington win against Philly and think, well,
(01:44:42):
they're minus four turnovers, they played poorly, they won. Therefore
this week they're gonna play poorly again, or because they
got lucky last week, they're gonna sort of take it
easy this week like they're too. It's the NFL. It's
not college football, guys. I think Washington is much better
than Land. I get a rookie qarterback on the road,
a little bit of weather tonight, crack sign up for Washington.
(01:45:04):
I I'm finally taking his favorite today. I got no
problem with it.
Speaker 5 (01:45:10):
Okay, both these teams coming off maybe their biggest wins
of the season. Atlanta has really controlled their own destiny
now can win the division with two wins after beating
those low league giants last week. The rookie Pennix, like you,
guys said, you look great in his first start. This
will be a much tougher matchup for him. Like Jeff
said on the road, Washington come off. That big comeback
(01:45:32):
went over the Eagles. Eagles had to go to picket
because of the Hurts was knocked out with the concussion.
They can finally clinch their playoff spot with a win today,
but they're gonna need to I need to run the
ball a little bit better, and they have these last
few last few games. You know, it's crazy to think
that we have two rookie quarterbacks starting this game with
major playoff implications.
Speaker 4 (01:45:52):
So it's actually a pretty good game for prime time.
Speaker 5 (01:45:56):
I'll be rooting for, you know, Washington in the I
have some futures on Atlanta not to make the playoffs,
but you know.
Speaker 4 (01:46:05):
I also have the Eagles to win the division.
Speaker 5 (01:46:08):
But I guess we're we're I mean, the Eagles are
going to control that hopefully so but anyway, yeah, that
that we'll see what happens there. But this actually is
not a bad game for prime time. I like to
move it into that spot. Should be okay, yeah, not
bad at all.
Speaker 1 (01:46:22):
Like the matchup, We've got some line movement here. A
couple of things caught my eye. The hook is gone
in the Giants game. Yes, yeah, Colt's now just favored
by seven seven The total ruy, thank you, Craig. We're
down in the Dolphins Browns game. We're down to a
total of thirty two and a half.
Speaker 4 (01:46:42):
My god, my god, like believable that can go over.
Speaker 1 (01:46:47):
Yes, it's like a Service Academy type total in the NFL.
Thirty two and a half. You never see that never.
Speaker 4 (01:46:55):
I agree.
Speaker 5 (01:46:55):
Wow, that's that's that's the lowest of the season, maybe
one of the lower in the history of football. But yeah,
that's really low. You know this, this game opened up.
This game opened up forty one, So just think about
that move. So there's just no way. I don't care
what the weather is, just no way you could bet
the under. Now, let me see beg yeah BETMGM thirty
(01:47:16):
two and a half. Oh god, it's just I can't.
But I'm not betting the over. I'm not rushing to
bet the over.
Speaker 4 (01:47:23):
What other moves? You see? Green Bay moving a little bit?
Is that what he's saying? I see green Bay? Now
did it a couple spots?
Speaker 5 (01:47:31):
Now I'm seeing some movement. I wouldn't be surprised if
by game time that green Bay is not the favorite
in that game. Some of the key sports books have
moved to a Green Bay minus one some of the other.
Speaker 3 (01:47:42):
Supports sports this week though, too, so that it wouldn't surprise me.
Speaker 1 (01:47:45):
Yeah, yep, yep, yeah yeah, a little bit of line movement. Hey,
how about the Monday night game? We got the Lions
at the Niners. I feel strongly about this one too, Jeff,
you mentioned what you're thinking. Uh man, this, this Lion's
off is just so much to deal with. They are
and the Niners are not healthy. But the question becomes,
(01:48:09):
and I think this is legitimate question, do we start
to see points galore here? Because the Lions defense is
so banged up and even though the forty nine ers
don't have their full complement of playmakers, you can do
a whole lot worse than Kittle debo, you know what
I mean. Like against the banged up Lions defense, I
could see the Niners putting some points on the board.
(01:48:31):
What do you think? I think that's the true question
is how many points in this overall game?
Speaker 3 (01:48:37):
I mean I could see in the fifties, sixties, right,
I mean I think you could see you could see
a game. I mean, look the Lions this year. Guys,
when they played bad teams, they have scored in easily
in the thirties of this game, right, so maybe mid fifties,
you know, thirty four to twenty four type of thing. Yeah,
but I do think the Lions win and cover this
(01:48:59):
game fairly easily, which is not you don't ever want
to say something like that, crack, but I feel pretty
good about the Lion's ability to win and cover this game.
They've been all bad teams this year, typically by a
lot of points. In the Niners are not very good.
Speaker 5 (01:49:15):
You know, this was supposed to be when the scheduler
made this, This was supposed to be a huge Monday
night matchup, a rematch of last year's NFC Championship when
the forty nine Ers made that big comeback to send
the Lions home. Actually, forty nine Ers have been the
most disappointing team in the NFL. That's real simple this
year now, injuries, distractions, poor quarterback play from party besides
(01:49:36):
the revenge, The Lions are certainly motivated for this one,
as they can clinch with a win and a Vikings
lost to Green Bay. But you know, I just I
hate laying that hook. It looks this game looks like
one of those games. It opened up three and a half,
it's still three and a half. It just looks like
it's It just looks easy. It looks easier. I'm telling
(01:49:56):
you right now, I know both of you guys that
you like the Lions, right it just looks easier than
it is. I'm not I'll room for you, guys. I'm
not betting the San Franz that's for sure, but I'm
not betting the Lions either. It just it just looks
like I think the public tomorrow night will probably be
all over Detroit. So if you're going to bet it,
you probably should bet it now. When it's two and
a half, it may go to four.
Speaker 1 (01:50:15):
I totally hear you. I totally hear you on everything
that you're saying right there. But you know what, the
the Niners they sort of remind me of the Jets
right where you hear the old Bill Parcells quote is
you are what your record says you are. The Jets
record stinks, the Niners record stinks. And yet a lot
(01:50:36):
of betters are like, yeah, but look at their strengths,
look at what they do bring to the table. This
could be the spot and oftentimes it is not. It's like,
you have to look at the Niners for what they are.
We had high expectations they were just in the Super Bowl,
but they are a six and nine football team, that
is what they are.
Speaker 3 (01:50:56):
The Jets, again, I think this week are like another
sharp team, like Sharps are all over the Jets. Again,
It's like, yeah, every week, all the Jets. It never
never comes home for.
Speaker 5 (01:51:05):
Them, right, Yeah, they've been all over them all season.
That's probably the number one team in the NFL that
the sharp guys have been on and literally we're getting
their heads handed to them, Jeff Schright, they're betting the
Jets every week. And I'll tell you that there's tens
everywhere on this game.
Speaker 4 (01:51:23):
Pretty solid.
Speaker 5 (01:51:23):
It was nine, went to ten, under forty seven, was
taken out earlier in the week, down to forty four
and a half, now forty four. But again it's another
situation where you guys know, I can't lay double digits
on anyone in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (01:51:37):
Yeah, it's that's a tough one, right because ten points
in the NFL is a lot of points. But outside
of last week when the Bills only scored twenty four
against the Patriots down fourteen?
Speaker 4 (01:51:49):
Nothing right? Lay in fourteen?
Speaker 1 (01:51:52):
Was it seven straight weeks? Thirty plus points? Their offense?
Ask yourself, with all those Jets injuries, are they gonna
be able to slow Buffalo down? If this is Buffalo's
a game offensively, they're gonna put.
Speaker 3 (01:52:04):
Up a lot of currents. Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 1 (01:52:06):
Yeah. We've got Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran Bill
Krackenberger from crackwins dot com sports handicapper. I'm Brian No
coming up next, picks galore, We've got the crack Challenge,
We've got rapid fire picks, we got the play of
the Date. Jeff, you're still alive for a winning season.
Speaker 4 (01:52:26):
I am not.
Speaker 1 (01:52:28):
I cannot fix sides.
Speaker 3 (01:52:29):
To save my life in the grot last weekend, but
hopefully we can make it back today.
Speaker 1 (01:52:34):
Yeah, let's do that. We're gonna rally in week seventeen.
We got a bunch of picks for you coming up.

is like eight games better than my record of my
picks I gave on Friday. I don't know why I
might switch them out. I guess before we get to
this show, I get the same five five number from
I'm like eight games better during the crack Challenge, which
is remarkable. I must change a lot of my picks
without knowing it. I'm not at home right now as
(01:54:17):
a joke, but I don't have my list in front
of me. I think I know the five I chose.
So here we go. Why are the Raiders favored against
anyone in National Football League, let alone on the road.
So give me the Saints here plus a point and
a half. This makes no sense. I even Saints like
the first half will be a great wager off of
getting shut out. We're gonna play better. Okay, Number two
Giants plus seven again Lol, Joe Flacco road favorite hard pass.
(01:54:45):
So I had Browns at early. As we get plus
six and a half, I mean, I don't even know
what I do with this game anymore.
Speaker 1 (01:54:53):
Right now it's three now, geez fins up.
Speaker 3 (01:54:59):
I'm taking a the Commanders minus three and a half.
The Allion's minus three and a half, so now I
need one more to take. Jeez, oh can I can? I?
Speaker 5 (01:55:10):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:55:11):
Can I tease the uh the no the Brown christ Teazer.
Oh boy, I'm just wasting time this heming in high
All right, Bill's minus ten. We're doing it. They're gonna
blow out a bad team. Like I said last week,
they're gonna do it this week, though I can't take
(01:55:33):
I got six and a half Browns put six and
a half, crack, I can't take three and.
Speaker 4 (01:55:36):
Now, sure, I agree that's rough. That's tough right there.
Speaker 1 (01:55:40):
Okay, what you got, Brian, I'm gonna go with Let's
see what we're similar here. I've got New Orleans again.
You've got the home underdog against the stinky team. I
know the Saint stink themselves, and it's a.
Speaker 3 (01:55:52):
Covery that all this year that that it's not that
way either, But frustrated.
Speaker 1 (01:55:55):
Right who else? I'm against you on Washington. I'm taking
the three and a half with Atlanta, So I'm opposing
you there, But I'm with you on the Lions. Should
we do a sidewayer on?
Speaker 3 (01:56:08):
Wait? Wait, do we still what's our wager?
Speaker 1 (01:56:10):
Like with Panther Saints to say, Jeff, I'm glad you
asked that. So a little sidebar here. So I have
the Saints against Jeff's Panthers for the season. Whoever wins
more games wins it. So the the Saints have one
more win than your Panthers. So I'm hoping that keeps going. Like,
(01:56:32):
if the Saints wins today, I'm in. I get the money.
But if somehow your Panthers rise up plus ten and
win out right, you're alive for at worst a tie.
So let's hope that doesn't happen. Back to the crack challenge.
Give me Philly minus seven and a half. I'm laying it. Sorry, no,
CD Lamb, I don't think you're gonna have a running
game yet. An Eagles team that just lost can he
(01:56:55):
Pickett again? Not the greatest, but a full week to prepare.
I'll lay the seven and a half. I don't even care.
And then last one. You know what, gif me you're
gonna absolutely hate this play again. Two stinky teams. Give
me the home squad. I'll take Jacksonville minus one. I
(01:57:16):
don't care. I'll take them. They've been playing better football
than the Titans. They beat them on the road. Give
me Mac Jones the Jaggs to rise up all We've
got more picks to make. Let's do this.
Speaker 3 (01:57:32):
Rapid fire.
Speaker 1 (01:57:34):
Okay, Crack, we start with you. What's something you like?
Speaker 5 (01:57:37):
All right, let's go with Brown on the Eagles. We're
gonna go over on his yards. I just think that,
you know, pick a target him last week. You're very
high rate right now. Sixty nine and a half yards
over Brown receiving yards.
Speaker 1 (01:57:49):
Like it anything else for you?
Speaker 3 (01:57:51):
Jeff Alan under rushing game, all over rushing. Yeah, that's
what I get.
Speaker 1 (01:57:58):
I'm gonna take Tampa's team total over twenty eight and
a half. I think I think their offense is quarterline
unstoppable today. All right, let's get to the best play.
Speaker 2 (01:58:08):
This is the best play of the day.
Speaker 1 (01:58:11):
Is the touchdowns? All right, Crack, what is it?
Speaker 4 (01:58:14):
Buddy?
Speaker 5 (01:58:14):
These are teams to score first. I liked Dallas plus
one thirty five, Packers minus one fIF fifteen. Two teams
to score first, Dallas and the Packers.
Speaker 1 (01:58:24):
There it is. Enjoy Week seventeen.
