Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
All right, just three games of this late window, but
they've got intriguing storylines. You've got the Broncos trying to
hold on to that wildcard of the AFC against the
division rival and the Raiders. You have an NFC West
showdown between the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks that could
help decide supremacy in that division. And then what we

(00:26):
had or we thought was going to be the game
of the week between the forty nine Ers and Green
Bay Packers and Carrie Roads, it has been anything but
that because of the subtractions, if you will, from the
forty nine ers lineup Brandon Allen the starting quarterback in
place of Brock Purty almost just through an interception. It's
been a rough go of it. As you heard Monty say,
it's ten to nothing green Bay on top of San Francisco.

(00:48):
That's our late window today here in week twelve of
the National Football League season, as we are broadcasting live
from the Tirereck dot Com studios. Tierreck dot Com will
help you get there. An unmet selection, fast free shipping.
Free Road has a protection and over ten thousand recommended
installers tyrreck dot Com the way tire buying should be.
So let's start with the Niners and Packers. How in
the world do the Niners try to get this done

(01:08):
today without Trent Williams, with help Rock Purdy, without Nick Bosa.
We know they're without Brandon Ayyuk. How do they get
this done in Green Bay for a five and five
Niners team? They won't.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
All right, They're in trouble. And you know, the one
thing about forty nine is we talked about earlier in
the year. I had a feeling they would start out slow.
They've started out slow. But now the injuries and you know,
the outside knows that was. You know, the drive and
narrative coming into the season is still a rear in
its head. So they have no space to you know,

(01:41):
rely on the genius play call and Shanahan.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
And all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Right now now it's my guys aren't as good as
the other guys, and we're seeing that right now. If
Green Bay takes care of the ball, they'll be fine.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Today there's there's such a conversation to be had about
San Francisco. Just to give you just a little look,
we're sixteen minutes into this game, green Bay is the
ball for about twelve and a half minutes. They've got
eighty seven rushing yards to the forty nine Ers one.
It's been a total domination. First downs, green Bay has
eight and San Francisco has zero. It has been all

(02:14):
Packers today. And now green Bay gets the ball as
San Francisco had a third and long and they just
dumped it off to try to get a little better
field position for their punt. So now Jordan Love and
the Packers will take over with a ten to nothing
lead in that game. But I think many were like you,
waiting for the Niners to turn this around and thinking

(02:34):
that all it was was a light switch, And I
think what we're finding out is it's not just a
light switch. That there's a lot that's going on, that
there's wear and tear in that house that you've got,
and now you added up to this isn't a must
win game. It's definitely was supposed to be the marquee
game of the week on the schedule for the National

(02:55):
Football League. But now when you're looking at other things
where a division title isn't a given for San Francisco
and you're looking at a wild card situation, which right
now you're on the outside looking in of that wild card.
Green Bay would be a team that's right there with
you trying to battle for that wild card, and you're
about to lose ground to them in these standings. Yeah,
with no guarantee that the players that you're missing are

(03:15):
going to be back. Fully. They believe brock Perty will
be back next week against Buffalo, but they also thought
that he was going to be able to play this
week and it just didn't happen. There's just no guarantees
for the forty nine ers, and it's why I had
such difficulty believing in them. And Carrie when I say this,
when I say there were no more excuses, which I've
said here on Fox Sports Radio, there are no more

(03:37):
excuses today. There's a lot of excuses because players aren't there.
But now you're in danger of falling so far behind
that even if you do get back on track, it
may be too little, too late.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Yeah, the NFC West is going to be a one
bad league, it seems like, and so whoever wins that
division's going to get that spot. Right now as we stand,
even with the dumpster fires seeming to be bigger at
the moment. They're still in the thick of the hunt,
right and so to say there's no coming back for
them right now would be a little bit too premature.

(04:08):
But they're in a dire position right now because of
all the other things that we stated before. It's just
there doesn't seem to be a cohesiveness that that's been
there the past couple of years. And I think that's
what we're seeing more than anything.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
I get to never say never, yeah, yeah, But there's
just a point to this where the Cardinals, by the
way of the Seahawks backed up and Gino Smith maybe
in danger. It's that safety Dan almost of taking his safety,
but he was able to throw it away. It's still
a zero zero ball game between the Cardinals and Seahawks.
But I just don't think that we could take those
things now into consideration to say, Okay, if these things

(04:46):
go right in San Francisco, then things are going to
work out. It just it isn't like that. And when
you look at the names and the the guys that
we're talking about outside of party, obviously Trent Williams is
an enormous part of that. Trent Williams is not young
at all. Yes, you know. I mean the thirty six

(05:06):
years old Nick Bosa is sitting at twenty nine years old,
he's starting to rack up some injuries in his career,
Like these aren't These aren't spry guys that you've got
on San Francisco. There's miles on these guys, and all
of those miles end up adding up and you talk
the geographically. So I was their defensive line was completely
different from this game from the last time that these

(05:29):
these teams met last year in the playoffs. Completely different
for across the board for San Francisco. Some of that
by transactions. Eric Armstead' is no longer there, but obviously
Bosa and others aren't there. I just don't think you
could look at San Francisco and just think they're going
to turn it on, because that's who San Francisco is.

(05:49):
And it's a way that I felt throughout this entire season.
And I think now what we're seeing is things going
and reverse than things going forward, and how bad things
can get because now you can't even play complimentary football
because the offense isn't doing anything for the defense, and
the defense is not built to be able to stop
at offenses. We've seen so far with Green Bay having
their way with the football so far in this game.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Yeah, relying on the switch to be flipped is never
the recipe for any good dessert. But Thanksgiving coming up
here soon, you know, Like it works for a little
while when you're the superior team with with with athletes
and players that can come out and perform for you.
But right now they're devoid of that as well, right
And so when you have injuries and you have the

(06:34):
propensity to start out slow like they usually like they
usually do, that's not a good recipe when your players
aren't healthy because a lot of times when those when
those in those ruts in the past couple of years,
their players were coming back at the same time as
they were making that run down in the middle late
part of the season. So right now that's not the case,
and they are in trouble. But like I said, they're

(06:54):
in a division where they're still tied for the lead
or one game out, So that's their I guess silver
line in this situation that maybe the silver lining of
the bad news is Romeo Dobbs has just caught a
significant pass from Jordan Love to get them in the
San Francisco territory.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
It was a third and long and Dobbs gets about
thirty yards on this one. So the Packers moving the
ball against the forty nine ers. As we were talking
about the forty nine Ers and Packers, the Raiders ran
a fake punt on fourth and four and we're able
to convert it. So they're up seven to six on
Denver and now they got a fresh set of downs
in Broncos territory. We told you the Seahawks were backed up.

(07:33):
They ended up punting it away back to Arizona. But
with this forty nine Ers picture, and now it's nine
to nothing. When it comes to first downs, it's ten
to nothing on the scoreboard, san Francisco out gaining Green
Bay one hundred and fifty nine to twenty one. This
window to me for San Francisco is now closed because
now you have to figure out what you're gonna do

(07:54):
with brock Party. And I think that we know what
they're gonna do with brock Party, and I think at
some point brock Perty. I don't think brock Perty is
gonna get sixty million dollars. If you want sixty million dollars,
if i'm San Francisco, that's I'm not not our business.
You can't do that, especially with some of the other
deals that you've signed. But when you look at where

(08:14):
they are and the piece is Brandon Ayuk. Now you've
just signed to a new contract. It's gonna be coming
off of an ACL next year. Like this window to
me for San Francisco is closed, Like this is this
is it. They will go further down than they will
to bounce back up. And this isn't like the drop
offs where they had bad injuries you know about you know,
five or six years ago that allowed them to get

(08:36):
Nick Bosa with a second overall pick and just have
a bad year and come back with everything that is.
That is not what this is. This is retooling. They've
given guys other deals, uh Diamadoor Lenord just got a
new contract, so they feel like they have this core,
but you're still gonna have to play pay rock party.
I just I don't see it there with San Francisco.
I think that this window is shut. I don't think

(08:58):
that they're going to make the playoffs this year, and
I think that it's over right now. And it's not.
This may be the low point of the season because
of the pieces that have. I just don't think that
you can expect a huge rebound for a team that
now next week has to go on the road and
take on the Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Great, great points, all of them. The NFL is a
is a is a league where you can be if
done correctly, you can be the worst team in football
and next year be a team that makes the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
And so as.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Crazy as those jumps seem and feel like they can be,
it can't happen right now. You're right with this team.
I think that window is closed as well. And when
you go three years of being really dominant and not
being able to get the results in the playoffs, in
the super Bowl, which they have been in again, that
time window where those players are all in, they're not

(09:49):
all They're not all in now. And I think we've
seen that. We've seen people wanted to get their money.
We've seen people on the outside saying other people should
get paid and other people shouldn't. So like those things
are in the way now. So the direct line of
communication in the chain that usually happens when team to
hungry and trying to get better, that chain has been broken.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
And so this is where we are now. The Cardinals
are driving against the Seahawks. Kyler Murray has hit Trey
McBride for a couple of plays. I don't worry, carry oats.
We're gonna get to you in a little bit. Kyler
Murray takes a keeper on first and ten, gets about
two yards, so it'll be second down and eight as
they are inside the Seahawks twenty yard line. Chris Prefett

(10:28):
is our technical producer. What's going on, Chris, I'm a
little worried.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
Is this going to be the rivalry game?

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Is this going to be the show finally coming apart
this season? I've told you, I told you what is
difficult is that Harry played for the Cardinals, like he
gave his body for the Cardinals, and I've just basically
been a fan since the early eighties. Well, we went
back and forth on this on what is important and
what happens. The great thing about this, Chris, is it's
two straight weeks because the s and the Jets next week.

(10:54):
That's right. It's actually why I had to bring in
Patrick this week, just to try to fend off Carrie.
As Patrick's wearing as Devin Witherspoon jersey.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
He's says going to be doing this again in about
two weeks time as well, Like, don't the car it's
like Cardinals Seahawks meet again in two weeks.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Yeah, yes, it's yes, Yeah, it is Yes, that's correct.
Maziing Maxie says he's going to be at that game.

Speaker 5 (11:15):
Yeah, we'll be at that game. Who knew it was
going to matter?

Speaker 2 (11:18):
I'm going to give you my Thursday to wear. Who
would have been? Who would have who would have invited me?

Speaker 6 (11:22):
Right?

Speaker 7 (11:23):
You know?

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Let's it's the Manzi without Dan twenty twenty four Summer
of Fun. Yes, first we'll go to the Oakland A's game.
Check out the A's game in Oakland. Even though it
was Dan's idea. We remember we did our resolutions for
the summer, that's right, and I said I want to
go to an Oakland A's game when they leave. Yeah.

(11:46):
All of a sudden, Brie and Monzi are skipping around
the hallways. We're going to an Oakland A's game together. Gee,
where'd you get that idea? A week later, Manzi's like,
here's a email. Guess what, me and my friends got
a little tipsy. I'm going to the Seahawks Cardinals game
in December.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Yeah, down play though you don't want to give him
the ammunition to know that it was already planned out.

Speaker 5 (12:06):
No, No, I literally was like your idea, because if
you were going to the eights game, I was.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Actually so so. Indiana goes and scores on Ohio State yesterday. Yes,
I don't talk to anybody during the Ohio State games.
I sit in my house and just sit in the
living room and I watched the game and I'm like,
is Carrie needling me here or does he seriously want
to talk football? And He's like, Indiana came to play.

(12:33):
I didn't hear anything else. Final score, Ohio State Indiana fifteen.
I didn't hear anything else from the rest of that game. Nothing.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
It was.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
That was all.

Speaker 7 (12:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
I just wanted to get you going, That's all Dan.
Oh Man, it got you going, didn't.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
I have learned to not immediately test. I have learned
that through the years, take some deep breaths, and I
just I was able to, uh, to uh at least
take it in. And it looks like the Cardinals may
have gotten in Marvin Harrison Junior a play at the
goal line. I don't think he got both feet in.

(13:07):
He tapped that pilon. It counts. Oh, they're gonna review it.
It's fourth, it's it's been it's been called out of
bounds fourth and twelve. But and that's I think that's
what Jonathan Gannon is saying, what Carry is.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Saying, Yeah, I think so. I'm not I'm not one
hundred percent sure on now on either.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
So that's the story. We've had boundary cameras screw us
up today. I don't mean to get us off track,
but the Raiders kicked a field goal against the Broncos
ten to six. But the Cardinals on the verge of
possibly getting some points again, it is it would be
and and it would be the foot because we've heard

(13:47):
this a lot of in the last couple of weeks.
You can't do right foot, right foot and have it
be two feet down. You need right foot and left foot.
He did get one foot down. The other foot that
did not get down did hit the pylon to Carrie's point,
So that will be what the officials are reviewing. If
they don't call it a touchdown, it will be a
fourth and twelve. So Arizona likely to have to settle

(14:08):
for a field goal. He is carry Roads, don't worry
I got something more for you, Carry Roads. He's got
the Cardinals jersey here as well. His Jets are on Buy.
That's a good thing for Jets fans. This week I
hit Carry up at Carrie twenty five Roads. You can
find me at dan Byer on Fox. Have you joined
the Blue Sky yet Carrier Roads? Nope, I have as

(14:29):
of December of twenty twenty three. You can find me
at dan Byer b e y e r dot, bsky
dot social if that's how you want to go about it.
Chris Purfettween our technical producer. He was like one of
my first three friends on Blue Sky. Patrick Sweek is
our executive producer Today, Patrick, you want Blue Sky yet?
I even know who Blue Sky was? I get it
is all right the dory. I'm not leaving X. People

(14:52):
are saying like, I'm leaving X for Blue Sky. I'm
doing both. I'm equal opportunity.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
People get really defensive about it too, Yes, like I
just want to s spread my wings.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
I'm not married to one or the other. Absolutely, and
it's perfect. Twitter used to be a bird. Now it's
just X. But Blue Sky's logo is a butterfly, so
spreading the wings is absolutely perfect Mancia. I don't believe
he's on Blue Sky just yet, but it's just a
matter of time. We are allowed from the Tirec dot
Com studios. Green Bay's got a third and ten from
the San Francisco twenty eight yard line, eight thirty three

(15:23):
left to go in the first half. They have that
ten to nothing lead, and Romeo Dobbs has taken a
catch for six yards and then has gotten another ten
or more. So the Packers will be inside the fifteen
yard line, down to eleven, down to the eleven yard line,
looking to add to their lead. You almost start to wonder,
and I hate to say this, but when is San
Francisco just throwing the towel on this? Yeah, I mean,

(15:46):
I'm I'm not trying to be dramatic. It's just the
point of they have not looked competitive for the first
quarter and a half. When you're that depleted, what do
you actually do with the guys who are playing? What
do you do with a Fred Warner, with a Christian
McCaffrey in those guys George Kittle who didn't play last
week against Seattle. You'll wonder that could be a decision
San Francisco has in this matchup three forty eight to

(16:09):
go until halftime. Raiders, we told you kicked the field
goal against the Broncos. They are up ten to six,
and now we are waiting for the ruling in Seattle,
and it looks like the ruling was that Marvion Harrison
was out of bound, so they are not calling it
to catch. The field goal from Chad Ryland is good
from thirty five yards out, so the Cardinals have a
three to nothing lead against the Seahawks. He is Carrie

(16:31):
Rhodes on Dan Byer. They you know the saying ball
don't lie. Yes, I think it was apro po today
in the National Football League, as we had not one,
but two crazy crazy penalties. Excuse me, I see a
penalty on the field. Jordan Love just threw an interception
in the end zone, but there is a flag on
the play. If that could thwart Green Bay's attempt here.

(16:56):
I think San Francisco had too many men on the
field and that's why Love ended up throwing it into
the end zone. So it's not going to be a turnover.
I think it's going to be twelve men on the field.
But we had two crazy games, one in Chicago won
in the nation's capital. They went down to the wire
in so much more. Kerry and I will break those
games down next right here on Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

Speaker 1 (17:15):

Speaker 6 (17:28):
Jacobs into the outside.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Of the line, ex fighting his right hand zone touchdown.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Josh Jacobs in beast mode to Dan Byer and Carry Rhoades.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Tell you what sounds like Wwayne Larvie's battling when a
lot of us have been battling over the last month
or so. You heard the highlight there a ninety seven
point three of the game. WR and W and the
Packers radio network. It's all Green Bay. Josh Jacobs with
the touchdown. The extra point was good. It's seventeen nothing,
Packers over the Niners. San Francisco does the football, but

(18:00):
it has been all Green Bay. He is Carry Roads.
I'm Dan Byer. It's one of three games in this
late window. Cardinals kicked that field goal against the Seahawks.
Seahawks got into Arizona territory, but we're unable to get
into scoring position, so they ended up punting it back
to Arizona, while the Broncos and Raiders playing inn AFC
West tilt in Las Vegas and it's the Silver and

(18:22):
Black getting a third down stop. So Denver now at
the Raiders forty five yard line, having a decision to make,
and they are likely going to kick the field goal.
Should say they got down to about the thirty five
yard line, so it's gonna be about a forty fifty
four yard field goal. There we go. There's the math.

(18:43):
He is Carry Rhoads a lot better at math than
I am. Here on Fox Sports Radio, will tell you
how the Will Lutts field goal attempt goes, and then
we're going to dive into the craziness that occurred earlier today,
specifically in the nation's capital. And LUTs is good. So
it's a ten to nine ball game. Raiders, though, continue
to lead at Denver, San Francisco getting their first significant

(19:05):
drive of the game as Brandon Allen is hitting Juwan
Jennings to get into Green Bay territory. But it'll be
a third down and short with about five and a
half to go until halftime.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
The thing that I was confused with coming into this game,
and actually surprised with that San Francisco didn't go Adobt here.
You know a guy that's been proven to obviously win
a couple he can win you a game and put
you in a good situation to win. So I was
surprised that they went with Allen here.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
I think this will I don't think it's totally fair,
and I don't I know the conversation will happen later
in the week. You're gonna find out a little bit
more about the value of brock Purty. But it's difficult
when you don't have a left tackle, you don't have
all these other places or pieces on defense as well.
And now a third down and two, and there's a
flag on the play, and it looks like San Francisco
is going to be backed up on a false start,

(19:50):
so it's going to be third and seven. So even
when they're making headway, it's still very difficult. Tom Brady
is sitting in that Fox booth saying, thank goodness I
didn't go to San Francisco right now and continue my
play career. He is carry Rhodes, I'm Dan Beyer, mante
Blangios will be with us in just a little bit
to get us caught up on what happened earlier today
in week twelve and the latest on these games. The

(20:10):
game we are going to focus on did happen earlier today,
and it was the Dallas Commander's game. And I'm sure,
like a few of you, you'll learned your lesson. Even
when the commanders are down whatever, you can never count
them out, and you can never turn off your television,
and you can't go away. You can't leave when the
commanders are down. Because we saw what happened against the

(20:31):
Chicago Bears, I learned firsthand and giving the Bears the
victory in that game before the Hail Mary was there.
So the Cowboys end up punting it away on fourth
and eleven with forty seconds left to go, and the
clock ticks down and ball is fair caught at the
Washington fourteen yard line in a twenty seven to twenty game,
and then this happens for the Washington Commanders.

Speaker 8 (20:54):
Dallas just brings three, he's able to step up logs
what over the Tarman partners up.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
At forty fifty a big one hundred Commanders Radio network.
The eighty six yard touchdown from Terry mclaur excuse me,

(21:23):
from Jaden Daniels to Terry McLaurin got the Commanders within one.
You heard in the highlight the Cowboys just bring three?
It is? Is that the problem? I think? I'll tell
you what. On a play like that, when you see
how McLaurin just had all the space in the world,
it doesn't matter apparently if you have six, seven or
eight guys back there, there's still gaps that you have

(21:45):
to cover. And Washington was unable to do so.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
Yeah, No, it's the whole rule of thumb. Do you
play prevent and let teams slowly matriculate the ball down
the field, or you do what you've been doing that
that you had success with throughout the game. And I
think that's one of the biggest coach in male practices
that I actually watched as coaches that go into that
soft prevent where you only rush three and you give

(22:10):
the you give skilled guys on the other side a
chance to actually diagnose things, which you know, which is
gonna give a quarterback with Jayden daniels propensity of making
big plays a chance to make a big play.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
And that's what happened on that plane and o there's
a great play by Terry McClaren. It's still no excuse
for Dallas to allow that sort of play. But it
wasn't over from that point. I was surprised Washington did
not go for two. Yeah, even though they're at home,
And I think that was probably the thinking, we're at home,
we have the momentum, we feel like we have the
better team. It was a game that they were actually

(22:45):
trailing for a majority of and it was a low
scoring game entering the fourth quarter. So Washington at that
point ends up trying to kick the extra point. And
here's how that went.

Speaker 8 (22:56):
He's already missed it extra point. It's preserve stat low trust,
they gets a down. Cyber's kick that kick, step stop
that staff.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
They got the whole down. It's Cyber missed it left.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
He missed it left.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
So now they have to try another on side kick.
So okay, So now yeah, so now I'm twenty seven
to twenty six. If you think it's over, then it's not.
On the Cowboys Radio Network, Tibert bums it to the left.
It is covert and Thomas.

Speaker 6 (23:30):
Running it back one winning.

Speaker 9 (23:32):
Thomas with the Cowboy second kickoff for Woo for a
touchdown in the game.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
This game is drunk.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
It went from extreme celebration. You can hear the the
way the game went just by the way they are
now the extreme, you know, extreme exhilaration, to disbelief to
just laughter.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
It was over at that point and that's an on
side kick return. Brad Sham from the Cowboys Radio Network
kind of took what I put on X where I
said when you have two crazy games, because you had
the Vikings and Bears as well, everybody was tweeting this
game is drunk. I have a fifty second clip of everybody,
everybody tweeting that phrase that Brad Cham used and the

(24:18):
Cowboys that was the worst thing that could have happened. Yes,
you don't want to score. You wanted to run out
the clock, and Mike McCarthy and John Fossil are standing
there on the sidelines I think talking it over, like
why did he go and score? Because then that made
it thirty three to twenty six. I thought the Cowboys
should have went for two and just made it a
two score game. So there wasn't another highlight for the Commanders.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
Man, I told you that guy hasn't touched the ball
or had a carry since high school.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
He's taking that to the house.

Speaker 6 (24:44):
Now.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
The right thing to do is to go down. But hey,
if you catch it clean, go get it. Chris Pphphett,
Is that exactly what you were thinking about. I'm just thinking, like,
get down, get down.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
I know you want this, but like team ball and everything,
like the game's over, you just slide down.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
Yeah? No, why And by the way, zero remorse. He
danced for ten seconds in the end zone. I like,
it did not stop. I like it kept on going,
and I thought, at some point he's gonna realize that
he messed up, right, Uh oh, slide to the left. No, dude, man,
hands up time.

Speaker 6 (25:14):
And that's what it was.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
It was like this crawl.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
Oh my goodness, buddy.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
Yeah yeah, oh my goodness. And then there were still
eight seconds left, you know, like that's what it was.
There was an eight point game, and oh my goodness.
It was uh yeah, uh, just just craziness. Dallas did
kick the extra point. It ended up thirty four to
twenty six. Washington did have a pass at the end

(25:42):
that it ended up being picked off. So you know,
for a team, there's no way that you could get
saved twice in a season, even though they almost did.
There's no way it's gonna happen twice in a game. Sorry,
just that that the football gods will not allow it.
A ball, don't lie. Dallas deserved to win that game,
and they ended up winning that game. And I know
you said this earlier now because we do think that

(26:04):
Washington has a really good inside track at the playoffs.
But this was a loss today that you didn't expect
from them. So now maybe the bar gets a little
bit lower because Washington comes back to the pack. But
you expect the pack, and you expect Minnesota, who got
that big win against the Bears today, to take those
two wild card games. But the loss by the Commanders

(26:24):
did at least give those teams that are trying to
get in as another wild card a little bit more hope.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
Yeah, the Commanders have definitely lost a step when Daniels
got injured. That took a step back. He hasn't been
the same since the injury, and he sold a couple
of flashes in that comeback bid down the stretch here.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
But yeah, they gotta get some things figured out.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
And we talked about it, like those games that you
win early that give you that cushion, the ones that
you'd be like, ah, next week.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
We will get them.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
No, no, you need those because you never know what's
going to happen as the season progresses, and you know
you come back to.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
The pack like you said, Cowboys, excuse me. The forty
nine Ers facing a third and six and they get
it Brandon Allen to George Kittle down to the Green
Bay five yard line. There is a flag on the play,
though they do feel they forty nine ers do that
it's against Green Bay. It's gonna be at the two
minute warning of buck fifty five to go, so the
forty nine Ers should be set up first and goal
at the five yard line. Jackson Smith and Jigba has

(27:19):
just taken a pass from Gino. Smith brought it all
the way down inside the five yard line. So the
Seahawks knocking on the door, trailing Arizona in that game,
while the Raiders are right now looking for some more
points at the end of the half in a ten
to nine ball game as they lead against the Broncos.
Will Daniel Carlson make the kick, will the forty nine

(27:40):
Ers cash in, and will the Seahawks be able to
cash in as well? Let's find out from Monzy Belanos.
We're putting it to the test, all these things happening
at one time.

Speaker 5 (27:50):
Manzi, Well, it's a good thing. I have a screen
that's showing me all the things, all right. The same time,
it looks like the field goal was not good for
the Raiders eight forty it was yes, okay, great.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
Screen is not working.

Speaker 5 (28:06):
The screen is It looked like they were running away
and the score didn't change, and I was like, is
it It still says ten nine, Just so you guys know,
he literally says ten nine on my screen. So the
screen is not working and they're running away. That's why
I thought that. But no, it was good. So they're
up thirteen nine. My screen has not changed. It is halftime.
Raiders up against Broncos again, thirteen nine in that one.

(28:27):
It's all Packers on this one against the forty nine ers.
Even though the forty nine ers, like you mentioned, are
trying to score, they haven't yet. It's seventeen zero, one
minute and ten seconds to go in the first half.
Cardinals still on top of the Seahawks, who took a
two minute warning here before the half. Three zero Arizona up.
You guys, were talking about the Cowboys snapping their five
game losing streak defeating the Commanders thirty four to twenty six.

(28:47):
Commander's head coach Dan Quinn told reporters after the game
that Austin Eckler suffered a concussion late in the game.
So we'll see how that affects them moving forward. We've
seen some players last a long time in concussion protocol.
The Titans with the thirty two to twenty seven upset
over the Texans, Will levis, you can always expect a
pick six, right, just like expect it expected at the

(29:07):
worst times. But hey, he still won eighteen of twenty
four two hundred and seventy eight yards, two touchdowns that
one pick six. He also was sacked eight times. He
probably needs an ice path, I know. The Dolphins crushed
the Patriots thirty four to fifteen. Jalen Waddle eight catches,
one hundred and forty four yards and one touchdown in
the win. The Vikings walked it off with the field
goal in overtime to beat the Bears in Chicago thirty

(29:29):
to twenty seven. Forty nine Ers just scored a touchdown.
It looks like George Kittle is that who it is yes,
George Kittle catching that touchdown. So the forty nine ers
getting on the scoreboard with a minute to go in
the first half here against the Packers. Back to the
games that happened earlier today, this Bears Vikings game was
very similar to the Commanders Dallas game because the Bear

(29:50):
scored get a successful two point conversion, a successful on
side kick to tie the game all within thirty seconds
in regulation, and they lose it in ot and the
Lions improved to ten and one after outscoring the Colts
twenty four to six. Jamier Gibbs twenty one carries ninety
yards two touchdowns. I don't want to talk about Jared
Goff because he didn't do much for my fantasy team,
but he did throw for two hundred and sixty nine yards.

Speaker 6 (30:11):
That's it.

Speaker 5 (30:11):
He didn't throw a touchdown pack hen know, he just
was there.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
He was there.

Speaker 5 (30:14):
Buccaneers beat the Giants thirty to seven. Baker Mayfield also
didn't throw any touchdown passes. He had a rushing touchdown
to go along with two hundred and ninety four yards
in the air. There's a couple of videos circulating on
Twitter x whatever you want to call it. Malik Neighbors
saying some things after the game. What are the videos?
He says, it's not the quarterback, same outcome we had
with DJ. It ain't the quarterback. Then they ask him,

(30:36):
so what is it?

Speaker 6 (30:37):
Is it?

Speaker 5 (30:37):
Play calling takes a moment. He says, I don't know.
Next video that you see of him, he talks about
I didn't get the ball until it was thirty to zero.
What do you want me to do? They asked him, well,
why didn't you get the ball in before that? Talk
to Dabs, Dip Dabs, please dab Dave. I know it's
but is it sick?

Speaker 2 (30:55):
Dabs? I think I bet you said, Dabs.

Speaker 5 (30:57):
That's what I'm thinking as well, even though I know
it is dable Dabs. The Chiefs are now ten and one.
They walk it off for the thirty one yeard Field
go to beat the Panthers, who put up a good fight.
Thirty to twenty seven was the final score. There, Bryce
Young twenty one of thirty five, two hundred and sixty
three yards and a touchdown in the loss.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Back to you guys kind of like Mike Budenholzer. They
call him Budd touch Budd right, So.

Speaker 5 (31:18):
Right, So I'm assuming it's dabs.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
Yeah, like that's it. Yeah, I'd love to assume why
the Seahawks don't have Kenneth Walker in the game.

Speaker 5 (31:26):
I would love to know that too.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
In first and goal situations, two handoffs to Zech Charbonne
did not go anywhere. So now the Seahawks facing a
third end goal, put the sabone again. That's what I
would Yeah, of course, vister Cardinal over here. Easy can
the Seahawks at third and three? Now they do have

(31:49):
all three of their timeouts with a minute seventeen in
the first half, and it is a touchdown pass to
Jackson Smith and Jigba who is He's always been great,
but he is just completely skyrocketed and you almost wonder
why it's taken so long. Not for him. I think
it was more of a team sort of deal, but

(32:11):
he is into the end zone. It's an on. The
Seahawks have taken a six to three lead. Let me
text Carry quickly and just say like, let me know, Yeah,
nice drive for the Seahawks there, but it's late. It's
not really seven nothing. Indiana on my phone, MANCI are
you on Blue Sky yet?

Speaker 5 (32:29):
I am not on Blue Sky hanging I barely use
my social media. Now I don't know another one.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
Oh goodness, the extra point is good. When you come around,
just let us know.

Speaker 5 (32:43):
Okay, I'll let you guys know. Hi when I come around.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
You know, I joined Blue Sky, so I expect Monzi
to as well, but just not tell me about it.
Demand her to do it. You're the boss.

Speaker 6 (32:53):
Tell her.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
That's the thing is Listen. I understand, like, technically I
am mysrek supervisor, so you're not inviting your boss. I
totally get that. I'm more annoyed she's just stealing my ideas,
Like that's that's that's the part of it with these
trips where there never would have been an Oak and
A's thought of game except and then the day that

(33:16):
we did this. For those of you that are wondering
what we're talking about, Carrie I and Manzi we hung
out in our Sunday show here on Fox Sports Radio,
and at the beginning of summer we made a list
of resolutions. Chris Purfett had his resolutions as well, and
I vividly remember Manzi going like, I don't really have
any just I'm going to be running a race, so

(33:37):
by not having any, you just stole mine. That was it.

Speaker 5 (33:40):
Listen, First of all, I gave you credit. Second of all,
when I told you we hadn't bought anything, I said,
you can come. Oh he forgets.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
No, it's not the details. It's human Bree had already
picked the game and the setup that you were already going.
And it was the opening night of the NFL season.
It was the Thursday afternoon, and so that's the.

Speaker 5 (33:59):
Was the only one that worked to fly out and
work for those yay, because the other games were like,
it's set, you want to fly out of Oakland at midnight.
Nobody wants to do that. Nobody wants to do that.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
I told my wife the idea. She goes, you're not
going up, You're not going up to the Bay Area
or not happen. That does not happen. So this is
like we'll leave the windows. We'll leave the windows down.
No one will break into our car. Sorry, but that
was a thing up there. He's salty.

Speaker 5 (34:28):
Just so you know, I know, I know you think, Carrie.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Okay, okay, okay, I know. Just confirment. Confirment. I'm Dan Vyer.
Green Bay's got the ball at midfield with thirty six
seconds left to go in the half. Jordan Love just
missed Christian Watson, and it was not Jordan Love's fought.
It was right into the hands of Christian Watson dropped
it like a hot potato. It would have been six instead,

(34:55):
it's going to be green Bay in a third and
long scenario. He he had a step at the five
yard line. It hit him in the hands. Reminiscent of
when Aaron Rodgers got mad at him when in the
first game that Watson played against Minnesota a couple of
years ago, and Watson just dropped the short touchdown. That's

(35:15):
what happened right now at Lambeau the silver lining. Green
Bay has a ten nothing or excuse a ten point lead,
seventeen to seven, facing now a second and ten. Here's
Kerry Rhoades. I'm Dan Byer Lifrothetireq dot com studios. We
get to look at some fantasy numbers as well. That's
next year on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
Gino looks to throw throws outside bows.

Speaker 10 (35:50):
Touchdown say Hawks, Jackson Swift and Jicko Shohnny on the
spot on coverage was.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
Boutap once again. Here's Dan Beyer and Carrie Rhoades.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
Seahawks Radio Network and Seattle trying to add some points
before the end of the half. Here right now, it
remains a four point game. First and ten. They're basically
at their own forty yard line, so a hail mary
really isn't realistic. And Judo Smith just threw an out
of bounce two seconds left. I just take a knee
and go into the locker room. If I'm Seattle. They

(36:25):
are coming out of the locker room in Las Vegas
Raiders and Broncos. Raiders up thirteen to nine on Denver
in that contest, while the Packers hold a ten point
lead on the forty nine Ers seventeen to seven. Giving
the forty nine Ers credit in fighting back and getting
that offensive touchdown should have been twenty four to seven,
Christian Watson dropping a wide open touchdown for Green Bay
on their previous possession. But a ten point game, I

(36:48):
don't know how much it's in the balance, but I'll
just say at least it's a ten point game between
the Niners and Packers.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Yeah, and that's the thing about the NFL, right like
me saying they have no shot, but that caveat. As always,
if the other team plays with their food and give
them a chance to stay around and stick around, then
the other team gets confidence. And then that's next thing.
You know, this is a game, but right now I'm
in Green Bay's in control. But you never want to
let teams hang around.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
Get a look at some fantasy numbers with our executive
producer Patrick SWEEKA.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
Fantasy hits and the missing All right.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
We got the good news here. We got the hits, Patrick,
Is that what we got?

Speaker 7 (37:22):
We got the good news. We got the hits right now.
Quarterback hits. If you had Jayden Daniels, boy, howdy you
are living large and in charge. You have thirty point
four for Jayden number one. He is number one on
quarterbacks right now.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
Number two.

Speaker 7 (37:36):
If you had Pat Mahomes, well, you know what, Pat
Mahomes came in big today, so you got twenty eight
point eight fantasy points. And for all the two of
believers and the Dolphins, well believe it again, twenty eight
point five for Tua and even even threw in a
fourth one Caleb Williams. Wow, everybody welcome twenty six point

(37:58):
nine points.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
That was a doozer right there.

Speaker 5 (38:01):
Well we'll go.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Do you want to go in the misses here for
the qbs to go?

Speaker 7 (38:03):
Just let's go to the running backs? Yeah, well the
later let's keep it a good news. We're going good
news here, all right. So the number one running back
so far is Bucky Irving for the Buccaneers twenty seven
point one. He had a heck of a day on
the ground, even catching the catching the ball there too.
Number two, only by a couple of points, was Jumpier

(38:25):
Gibbs with twenty four point nine. He had a couple
of touchdowns there, a couple of catches. He was going
pretty good. And then Tony Pollard on the often forgotten
Tennessee Titans had twenty one point nine there for us guys.
And again, if you believe in Tua Tegabailoa and the Dolphins,
won't believe in Devon h Chan because he had twenty
point six as well, a lot of those being passing touchdowns.

(38:46):
Is why he got his money's worth. So next week
got why receivers are dan The number one wide receiver
is a Minnesota Viking. No, it's not justin jeffers Wall
of course.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
It is what what are you talking about? It's not
justin Jefferson. We'll be out of it's short and now right.

Speaker 7 (39:02):
Thirty point two points eight catches, one hundred and sixty
two in one touch It really.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
Helps when the Bears don't want to tackle him, so
that that really helps. It's very true.

Speaker 7 (39:11):
And again I will enact the believe into a Tunga
bai looa. Jayla Wattle had twenty eight point four eight catches,
one hundred and forty four, one touchdown. DJ Moore for
the Bears had twenty six point nine again Caleb supremacy
here he had a touchdown one hundred and six even
a two point conversion. And Keenan Allen also did the
very same with twenty three point six on nine catches

(39:34):
eighty six yards one touchdown. Tight ends is the last
one we got. If you started Gino Smith, I'm not
Geno Smith, John new Smith say sometimes leave in the
two supremacy here twenty three point seven points and a
Kansas City tight end got money. It's not Kelsey Noah Gray.

(39:55):
That's four touchdowns, uh huh. And then you have Hawkinson
for the Viking said eighteen point four, Austin Hooper not
Hunter Henry at fifteen point nine, and those are our hits, everybody.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
Four different Buccaneers scored rushing touchdowns today. Yeah, so Bucky
Irving had a huge day, but also Rashad White got in,
Sean Tucker got in, and Baker Mayfield had the touchdown
and then did the Tommy DeVito signal get him bout?
The Giants do want to forget about it? Packers up
ten at a half, Seahawks up seven to three on
the Cardinals, while the Raiders at thirteen nine lead on

(40:27):
the Broncos. What is wrong with the Giants? We'll talk
about it next. Erard Manzie tell you about the Denver
defense coming up big, and then bow Nicks coming up
big himself with the touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton. The
extra point was good, now sixteen to thirteen in favor
of Denver. In that AFC West showdown, They're about to
resume play in Title Town between the Packers and Niners,

(40:50):
while the Seawx and Cardinals remain at the half, and
we are broadcasting love for the TIREC dot Com studios.
Tyrec dot Com will help you get there at unmatched selection,
fast free shipping, free road has a protection. We have
thousand recommended and installers tire rec dot com the way
tire buying should be.

Speaker 3 (41:03):
Do you want to revisit my uh my prediction from
last week, Well, it wasn't really a prediction. It was
more of a I guess an aha type of moment.
And the Rookie of the Year race, do you want
to talk about that?

Speaker 2 (41:15):
Still carry last week? I don't want to put words
in your mind, so I'll actually let you say what
you have to say.

Speaker 3 (41:23):
Well, I just brought to the attention to all the
listeners and the people that are, you know, wondering how
that Rookie of the Year race is going. I mean
everybody pretty much you know, gave that to Jayden Daniels
because of his scorching start of the year. But now
as we sit right now, the commanders of what seven
and five? If Denver wins this game and goes to

(41:43):
seven and five, the stats are very comparable. You know, throw, start,
start throwing both Nixon that mix for for offensive rookie
of the year this.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
Year, Yes, and that is that is the distinction offensive
Rookie of the year. Yes, And at the start of
this week, so this would have been after Sundays would
have been after Sunday's game. Carry vo Nicks went from
twelve to one to five to one. After last week,
Daniels went from one to twenty five. He was minus

(42:13):
twenty five hundred. That's how much a just assume Jane
Daniels was going to be the Rookie of the year.

Speaker 6 (42:17):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
One to nine, Yes, one to nine, that's how closed
the gap was. Do you know who's third on the list?
I don't mean to put you on the spot, but
it's Brock Bowers. Yeah. So yeah, so the Raiders tight
end it would be third on the list for the
odds for Rookie of the Year entering this week's games,

(42:40):
so that's according to bet Online. Then he had Brian
Thomas junior of the Jaguars, Marvin Harrison junior, Malik Neighbors,
who we will hear from in a few seconds, and
then Caleb Williams. After that. The forty nine ers thought
that they had a big return from Deebo Samuel that
would have taken them inside the Green Bay ten yard
line on the opening kickoff of the second half, holding

(43:03):
it's gonna pull that one all the way back to
the forty nine ers twenty one yard line. So a
huge spark doused in the chill of the Green Bay
air because of the holding penalty on San Francisco.

Speaker 3 (43:16):
Man, see just like that though, we were just saying,
I mean, you play with your food long enough, and
a play like that could have completely changed this game
and made it a really competitive game. Now, obviously the
holding penalty brings it back and we're still seventeen to
seven to start the third quarter, which is, you know,
it's still a close game, but I don't know if
San Francisco has enough to really stay in this game.

Speaker 2 (43:37):
Well, this is you know, it's when you look at
the game of football. I don't know if it's an
old saying, Kerry, but it is true. Five or six
plays usually truly make make the game. We were talking
about Indiana and Ohio State earlier. How about two of
the special teams plays that Indiana did not make that
ended up opening up the game for Ohio State wide

(43:58):
opening the second half, Caleb Downs returned the punt and
you had the botched snap where a punter didn't catch
the snap that set Ohio State up for the go
ahead touchdown near the end of the first half. So
just those two plays were a lot in this Green
Bay San Francisco game. Green Bay doesn't have the touchdown
from Christian Watson because he just drops it. I'm not

(44:21):
talking about penalties here, because there's a reason maybe why
Deebo Samuel got down to the five. Just talking about
actual plays being made, but the Niners just being able
to get it in to the end zone on their
previous drive just to make it a closer ten point game.
Otherwise this thing could have been blowout city and we're
sitting here coasting in the second half, something that it
sure looked like for a good quarter and a half

(44:42):
of this game. But instead forty nine Ers trying to
hang around, trying to do what they do. And it's
going to be a testament to Kyle Shanahan and this
forty nine Ers staff to keep this team together and
right now they've been able to navigate that surge of
Green Bay and try to play competitive football even though
they are severely shorthanded.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
Yeah, Sanaham will definitely keep them together. I don't see
a disconnect as far as you know, head coach and
what they're trying to get accomplished, but yeah, they're just
right now. Their talent, the talent gap, which they usually
win mostly every game they go into, is just not
is non existing right now.

Speaker 2 (45:20):
Yeah, And I think I've told you how I feel
about San Francisco, But I do want to ask you this,
could a game like this, let's just say they are competitive, yeah,
or it comes down and it ends up being a
much closer game, does that change the course of the season.
I still believe that the forty nine ers have faults
that they will not be able to overcome because of
the wear and tear and the age of their team.

(45:42):
But could a game like this where they were down seventeen,
nothing seemingly out of it, and they come back and
make a game, could that turn this season in a
different direction.

Speaker 3 (45:51):
I think that all depends on if, like right now,
you have a guy and Alan who doesn't play a lot,
if he finds some success doing something the stuff that
you know, you know, Sanahan's going to put them in
positions to be successful. If they can find some of
those plays where they start to make those plays and
make them, you know, keep them in this game, then yes,
because you can find stuff to go as the weeks

(46:13):
go on and use that with the guys that are
usually going to be in there to make those plays.
But I mean, you know, each game it's his own entity.
You try to build momentum with winning, obviously, but I
think building the good habits and starting to realize some
things that can be successful for you is the real
recipe to get out of this funk therein So.

Speaker 2 (46:31):
The Niners continue to trail green Bay seventeen to seven.
Forty nine ers Tree have the football near midfield as
they've moved the ball a little bit of Jordan Mason,
a little bit of Christian McCaffrey. Now facing a second
and ten from the green Bay forty seven yard line,
the Seahawks, I think you're gonna have football in Arizona territories.
It looks like Jackson Smith and Jigba was tackled on
a route at around the Cardinals forty yard line, so

(46:54):
it will set up a first to ten for Seattle again.
Started the second f there just ninety seconds in and
the Seahawks have a four point lead, while the Raiders
have just punted it back to Denver but pinning them deep.
So Denver will start at their own two yard line
up sixteen to thirteen on the Raiders seven fifty two
to go. Patrick Suica gave us some fantasy numbers earlier

(47:15):
and told us what a great day it was for
Bucky Irving twelve carries eighty seven yards, had another six
receptions and sixty four yards in the Buccaneers win. There
are a lot of people that had good games today
for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as they were at one
point up thirty to nothing on the Giants. In the end,
when you look at the Giants numbers, Milik Neighbors six
catches for sixty four yards. Tommy DeVito ended up twenty

(47:38):
one to thirty one, one hundred and eighty nine yards.
But again, this doesn't tell the whole story of what
this game was and how dominated it was. In fact,
mylak neighbors didn't have a catch in the first half.
My leak neighbors didn't have a target in the first half.
This is what the Giants' rookie wide receiver had to
say in speaking with reporters after today's thirty to seven loss.

Speaker 3 (48:00):
Go right there first second quarter, don't get the ball,
start getting targets a DM.

Speaker 2 (48:04):
I mean, I can't do thating targeting abat when is
thirty zero?

Speaker 6 (48:08):
Tell him you do? Why in the first chap are
they not looking at you?

Speaker 3 (48:11):
I don't know how the Daves are buy that are
the days and they know they come up to me,
ask me what plays I want?

Speaker 6 (48:16):
And that was done.

Speaker 9 (48:17):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (48:18):
I guess it was Dave Dade. Yeah, I guess it
was mont I guess it was Dave's. After all, we
stand corrected how that was? That was my league Neighbors
in the audio version of it. But let's just throw
our coach completely under the bus. Yeah, I said it
wasn't a Tommy DeVito problem. That it was the same
thing with Daniel Jones in there at quarterback. Here you

(48:38):
have a first round pick wide receiver complaining about the
football getting a football in a thirty to seven loss
that drops you to two and nine. What does that
tell you there is dysfunction in the locker room? Obviously?

Speaker 3 (48:51):
I think there's a level of Right now, Malik Neighbors
is a guy that wins. He's used to winning. He's
in the situation and now where he doesn't even have
his top quarterback in so now are the Giants even
trying to win? And I think a guy like that
who's used to winning understands what that feels like. If

(49:13):
all the chips are in and you're trying to win,
who gives you the best opportunity to win in this
situation they're in right now, that's either Drew Locke or
that's Daniel Jones. For what they have right now, going
to Tommy DeVito's all that signals to a guy that
used to winning, as you're not trying to win. So
I think that's where it's coming from with him.

Speaker 2 (49:33):
The sense that I got, and they came under criticism
here on the network on Fox Sports won a lot
of places by going to Tommy DeVito, almost like they
were trying to cash in on his popularity again the
second time to try to get that's crazy. I felt
it was like Major League two, like it's not going
to be as good as Major League was. Second was

(49:54):
not second. Yeah, that's the feeling that it got, But
there's a also something about it that rubs me a
little the wrong way with what Malik Neighbors is saying,
the laque Neighbors is complaining about not getting the football.
But there's also a part of that that I can
respect and the reason being is I think the message

(50:16):
that was sent by the Giants today this week and
specifically with Daniel Jones, and Daniel Jones, by the way,
not the first player in NFL history to receive this treatment.
We saw Derek, it happened to Derek Carr. We've seen
it happen to other quarterbacks before, where they don't want
to risk injury, so they're not going to play them
in the final season. Russell Wilson same thing with the
Denver Broncos during his time there. They didn't want to

(50:39):
risk anything for the player to get hurt. Not Russell
may have also been benched because Sean Payton just wasn't happy.
But these were some of the things that were going on.
But when the team makes a decision like that, a
business decision, you have to expect that the other fifty
two players are also going to make business decisions. So
if you aren't putting your best foot forward and trying
to win football games, and by putting a third string

(51:01):
quarterback in there, why would any other player on the
Giants feel that they need to give that up to
their team if their own coaches in front office aren't
doing so, that's the problem that I have with it.
So I don't love Milik Neighbors being the rookie coming
in and speaking up. But right now I have no
idea who their leaders are. Andrew Thomas is out the
left tackle, You've just let go of Daniel Jones, who

(51:24):
is your veteran quarterback. I would love the pile on
Milik Neighbors and be like, ah, these Devo wide receivers.
But yeah, I tell you what, when you are trying
to break in a new quarterback, that's all I would do.
If I was timing Devido, I won't even look at
the other wide receivers. I'd throw it to some my
lage neighbors ten out of the first ten plays of
the game, and they didn't do that. So I can
understand the frustration. He actually wants the ball, he wants

(51:46):
to do something, he wants to have success. And I
wouldn't blame any Giant for being like, you know what,
My team isn't in on that sort of deal. So
I'm not going to be in on that sort of deal. Dan.

Speaker 3 (51:57):
And nowadays in disclimate anyway, with social media and the
people you know, speaking their truth way too much, like
there's no there's no reason elite neighbors should be saying
this to your point, but everybody's truth seeking, as I

(52:17):
throw up air quotes, guys, but everybody's tooth seeking. So
even if you were frustrated in that moment, the right
thing to say for your for your team and for
your organization is obviously you know another there's another way
to say that, but right now exactly you want to
do it? Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's tough day for all
of us out there.

Speaker 2 (52:37):
I just couldn't get the offense going in the first half,
got on the second half by then it was too late.
But hopefully you can show it up and be better
next week. Very easy.

Speaker 3 (52:44):
Yeah, but that's not what we want as a society
right now. And I think that the people that are
being interviewed and these players are being put in these
positions to you know, be honest about how they feel.
And this is the result of what we get. I mean,
it's not like this the first time, but you see
it more and more frequently now.

Speaker 2 (53:01):
Yeah. Now, Milik Navors wasn't taking a shot at Tommy
DeVito's or taking a shot at Daniel Jones. He was
taking a shot at Dave's babe. At Daves. He found
out that it is Dave's, It's not Dabs, it's Dave's
and Brian Dabole, And that tells you the fraction that
is within this team. I don't think that there was
a lot of hope for Brian Dabole to stick around

(53:25):
next season. I don't think there's a lot of hope
for Joe Shane to stick around now for this season.
I think a lot of times, if you bring in
a general manager, you'll get the maybe two head coaches
that you'll be able to hire. But Daboll and Shane
were kind of a packaged deal from Buffalo, and considering
how bad this has turned out, considering they also made
the decision to give Daniel Jones that contract, I wouldn't

(53:50):
expect them to be back in New York next season.
And the effort today what you saw today, Tommy DeVito
is three or five for thirty one yards in the four. Yeah,
and there's a part of that that that's not Tommy
DeVito's fault. No, Drew Lock chose to go to the
Giants for more money and he felt there was an
opportunity to start, and he even answered questions this week
if I thought I was supposed to be the number

(54:12):
two and I'm gonna support Tommy and what he does.
But he was under the impression that if something were
to change, he'd be the starter because he wants to
put him on himself on display for other NFL teams
as well.

Speaker 3 (54:23):
Yeah, it's a complete sale job, and that's what it
is like for you to try to get the other
other twenty one players to buy into what you're doing
that week. And you're sitting the guy that's giving you
the best chance to win, or the guy underneath him,
the guy that you think you brought in as an
insurance piece. He's not going to be playing in Drew Locke.

(54:43):
Then what are we really doing here? And then the
fact that the Beato through the ball five times in
the first half. Are you really trying to yah? Are
you really trying to win? And I think that's the
situation they're in.

Speaker 2 (54:54):
He's Carrier Roads, I'm dan Byer. The Broncos have just
had a drive stall near midfield, Max Crosby putting some
pressure on bow Nicks on a third and seven, forcing
and incompletion, So Denver's gonna punt it back to the
Raiders three ten left to go in the third quarter,
it's sixteen to thirteen Broncos on top of Las Vegas.

(55:14):
The Cardinals have just crossed midfield. It's a seven to
three ball game in Seattle in favor of the Seahawks.
Now Trey Bentson has taking a run down to about
the forty two yard line, so it'll be second down
and three for Arizona. A lot of trade McBride in
this game for the Cardinals, even though they just have
three points on the board. San Francisco unable to get
any points in their first drive, but green Bay they

(55:35):
were able to stop on the second, so the Niners
will get the football back. But it's a seventeen to
seven game in favor of green Bay over San Francisco
as they play in the third quarter. Entitled Town. He's
Carry Roads. I'm Dan Bayer. Find Carry on Exit Carrie
twenty five Roads. You can find me at Dan Byer
on Fox. We'll talk about Carrie's Instagram next, and I'll
talk about my Blue Sky account. Also, Carry will break

(55:56):
down one of the top plays that we've had in
Week twelve. That's all next year. Sports Red Zone Radio,
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. He's Kerry Rhodes, the All
Pro and starter from day one. I'm Dan Beyer. Green
Bay looks to be set up on a third and
two play passed to the end zone Romeo Dobbs. A

(56:17):
flag was thrown in the end zone pass interference on
the forty nine ers. Dobbs is slow getting up, so
they took a time out. But green Bay is going
to be up ten in that or they are up
ten in that contest with the possibility of adding more.
It was a game that we weren't sure was going
to be very competitive, and then it ended up turning competitive.
But Brandon Allen ended up being picked off. Xavier McKinney,

(56:41):
who's been one of the best free agent signings of
any team in this offseason for green Bay coming over
from the Giants, gave green Bay the football back and
now they are on the doorstep trying to add to
their point total seventeen to seven Packers on top of
the Niners looking to add more. Denver leads the Raiders
sixteen to thirteen at the end of the third quarter
in Las Vegas. Well, it's a thirteen to three game

(57:02):
for the Seahawks over the Cardinals because on a fourth
and short. Kyler Murray tried to make things happen instead
of just handing the ball off to James Connor or
on the Seahawks forty yard line, Murray ends up trying
to run outside run pass option. He passed carry, but
he passed it to Kobe Bryant, the Seahawks safety, who

(57:22):
ended up taking it back all the way for a score.
The extra point was missed because it was from forty
eight yards because there was an unsportsman like conduct penalty
on the Seahawks, but Kobe Bryant's sixty nine yard i
in t return for a score is given the Seahawks
a ten point lead over Arizona.

Speaker 3 (57:37):
Yeah, Kyle Murray just he thought he got confused. He
thought he was playing basketball through the alley to Kobe Bryant. Sure,
that's what happened.

Speaker 2 (57:43):
That's all. I'll tell you what in a play like that,
we just talked about the three games that we had,
or the three plays that could determine a game, Carrie.
I mean, here's a play. There's three options on that
play for Arizona, likely handed to James Connor, Kyler Murray
keeps it, or Kyler Murray throws it he took the

(58:04):
worst of the option, ended up throwing it, and it
ends up turning around in points for Seattle. Arizona's defense
has done a pretty good job on the Seahawks offense
so far in this game, and this just gives them
a free six points. You do any of the other things,
like even if you give it to James Connor and
he doesn't get it, it doesn't turn into automatic points
for Seattle. An enormous play for the Seahawks in a

(58:28):
game that could turn first place in the NFC West.
It was a huge play.

Speaker 3 (58:33):
Yes, you cannot turn the ball over anyway, but to
throw a ton over on that play and just toss
it up and then they take it to the house
for six, it's just demoralizing.

Speaker 2 (58:43):
It wasn't the only play that we saw take it
to the house. We are going to tell you what
green Bay does here in their first and goal scenario,
Jordan Love hands it off to Josh Jacobs and Josh
Jacobs walks it into the end zone. So a twenty
three to seven lead for green Bay. Extra point. What
I just mentioned, Xavier McKinney being the free agent signing
Josh Jacobs spend a heck of a free agent signing

(59:05):
for green Bay as well, so Brian Gudekunst adding more
to his resume. It's not just the thanks, but no thanks,
Aaron Rodgers, he can go on your way. It's been
some of the additions that they've made. It's not all
been Roses. I know that there's some drive picks Packer
fans are not happy about. But green Bay extending that
lead now it's going to be tough with four to
twenty eight left in the third. A lot on the

(59:25):
shoulders of Brandon Allen. Not necessarily what the forty nine
ers would have hoped for. You would wanted a closer
game so you could still be more balanced. And now
it could be getting away from San Francisco for a
little bit. He is Carry Rhodes. I'm Dan Bayer lot
from the tirec dot Com studios. Carrie usually has a
segment and where he breaks down a key play in
the NFL season. I have asked Carry for me to

(59:49):
don the coach's hat and he can critique me. Yes, okay, yes,
it is a special edition.

Speaker 6 (59:55):
Of Fast Palms with Dan Bayer.

Speaker 2 (59:59):
We could have just said now, Tory, sorry, this would
be deleted out of the system immediately. But uh yeah,
I got a little fast times for it. Let's do it.
Let's do it, Let's crank up the imaging, Let's do
the whole deal. Because I'm gonna try to put on
the hat of Carry Rhodes. Here on Fox Sports Radio,
Carry takes a play, usually from earlier in the day,

(01:00:19):
and he breaks it down. I am going to attempt
to do that, and are we good married? Do we
have the thumbs up? All right? And I want my music.
Carrie gets music. I want, I want everything with it.
There we go. It's stale Carry Road. Then in for
Carry Roads. Today is Dan Byer, Dallas Cowboys Washington Commanders

(01:00:43):
playing some crazy football. We played the sequence of events
at the end of the game with the Terry McLaurin
touchdown with the mist extra point with the on side
kick that was return for a score. Maybe the most
important play of all didn't even happen in that sequence.
It happened with three h two in my left to
go on the fourth quarter, when the Cowboys had a
twenty to seventeen lead on the Commanders, and the Commanders

(01:01:06):
had just put points on the board and were kicking
the ball back to Dallas fields.

Speaker 9 (01:01:10):
The kick deep dances and running it out left to
the thirty to to forty two midfield. Turpin's got the
touchd ten five touchdown by the league's leading kick off
returner and everybody's Hankees in its pocketing.

Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
Cavanse Turpin with the touchdown from ninety nine yards on
the Dallas Cowboys Radio network, and I'll tell you what carry.
It may have had something to do with turpin speed,
but I actually think it's moral problem with what happened
with the Commanders and how they covered this kick, because
what you didn't hear in the call was that the

(01:01:49):
ball landed in the landing zone and kind of got
away from Turpin and he ended up gathering the ball
at the one yard line, which caused this enormous delay.
You see Turpin pick up football at the one yard line,
kind of assess things at the ten. Does a spin move.
When he does the spin move at the ten, the
Commanders have eight players inside the landing zone of the

(01:02:12):
twenty yard line and the goal line. So all the
fastest man in the NFL has to do is get
past those eight players and he's gone. And what does
he do? He hits the hole and he's gone for
ninety nine yards. Cavante Turpin with the play, but it
was the delay in letting the ball bounce that forced
the Commanders to over pursue would set up Turpen's ability

(01:02:35):
to use his speed on that kickoff return.

Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
So you think the spin and the delay of the
drop ball getting past a little bit slowed down to
defend the.

Speaker 2 (01:02:44):
Delay allowed them to over pursue because the timing of
it allowed them to run further downfield. The spin move
allowed him to elude a tackler that was likely going
to be the old chance for him to be brought
down because everybody was withinside the twenty yard line. This

(01:03:05):
spin allowed that, and then just his pure speed on
the outside didn't allow the three guys who actually were
hanging out as the safety valve to even come close
to him in tackling him. That's how I thought it
happened today for the Cowboys. That was really good breakdown.

Speaker 6 (01:03:17):
Dan.

Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
I'll give you a pat in the back right now.
I feel really good about that. I couldn't break that
one down. You did a great job of that. So
you know what, I guess this is another episode of
what fast Arms.

Speaker 1 (01:03:30):
There, it is there, it is.

Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
Oh, don't worry fast times the carry out. It'll be
back next week.

Speaker 6 (01:03:34):
But good John.

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
I thought it was a big play in the game.
And then as we found out, there are about four
other big plays. But we haven't seen a ton of
kickoff returns. But here was a spot where I think
the new kickoff return allowed those players to get further
down the field than maybe you normally would. The new
dynamic kickoff, the delay and the ball bouncing gave Cavante
Turpin the time and the space that he needed, and

(01:03:57):
all he needed to do was break through that line
and he was gone her and that gave the Cowboys
at that time a twenty six seventeen lead. They made
the extra point, it was a ten point lead, and
then craziness would ensue after that. All right, he's carrying
roads on Dan Byer Live from the tirerec dot Com studios.
Let's go over to the news desk, Manzi Blanos, Okay,
do we have some competitive ball games in these final

(01:04:17):
three games of this window? Yick, come on, I mean.

Speaker 5 (01:04:22):
Like the Broncos and the Raiders are close, but you're
thinking the Raiders are going to sustain. This is the
real question, right, Broncos are only on top by three.
It's sixteen to thirteen. Early in the fourth quarter. Broncos
segu heck.

Speaker 2 (01:04:35):
They just kicked the field goal.

Speaker 5 (01:04:36):
They just kicked the field goal, thank you. Nineteen to thirteen,
so again, whole fourth quarter left in this one. Bo
Nick's twenty one of thirty three, two hundred and eighteen
yards and a touchdown so far in this one. Nineteen
thirteen's the score right now. Packers on top of the
forty nine ers twenty four to seven, less than four
minutes to go in the third. They currently have the ball.
They're approaching the red zone as we speak. And the

(01:04:58):
Seahawks they had a nice picks against the Cardinals. They
have the ball. They're trying to drive down field. They're
up thirteen to three with about three and a half
minutes to go in the third quarter of this one.
Gino Smith fifteen of twenty one, one hundred and eighty
yards and one touchdown so far. Some of the games
that happened earlier. Cowboys and after five game losing streak,
they beat the Commanders thirty four to twenty six. The

(01:05:18):
Titans had a thirty two to twenty seven upset over
the Texans, while the Vikings walked it off with the
field goal in overtime to beat the Bears in Chicago
thirty to twenty seven. Lions are now ten to one
after beating the Colts twenty four to six. The Chiefs
are now ten to one after walking it off with
a thirty one yard field goal to beat the Panthers
thirty to twenty seven. And the AP College poll nothing

(01:05:39):
changed in the top four. Everything is the same, so
Oregon is still at the top, but the shuffling starts
at number five, where Norda Dame comes in after beating Army.
Then it's Georgia and Tennessee six and seven. They both
moved up two spots. Miami comes in at number eight,
moving up three spots, and SMU comes in at nine,
jumping four spots, its first top ten ranking since nineteen

(01:05:59):
eight five. Indiana dropped from five to number ten in
that one. Okay, Boise State did move up one spot
to eleven, by the way, So that's the latest on
the Express the Pony. Yes, I love that.

Speaker 2 (01:06:14):
Back to you, guys, Moncie. He's talking about the SMU
football team of the early nineteen eighties featuring Eric Dickerson
and Craig James. And I know this is not in
your wheelhouse because you weren't even born.

Speaker 5 (01:06:26):
Yet, but I did hear about this yesterday a little
bit with mister Hartman. Don't you worry.

Speaker 2 (01:06:32):
It is my It is my most favorite thirty for thirty.
It is really I just load that. I thought it
like a month ago. Actually, yes, actually watched it again
about a month. You did, Yeah, I think because we
were talking about it, because I know you were working
on a project that's right, you know, for your documentary,
and I think we have the conversation, but we did.
It's the most entertaining And now it's really interesting considering

(01:06:55):
now with Nil and how everything has played out and
le Bryce Underwood deal with Michigan. Now you look back
and you're like, that wasn't so bad what SMU was doing.
They were just ahead of the times. They were they
were Can somebody just vamp for a second. I just
got a quick cough. Can you just talk about SMU,
talk about the Pony Express?

Speaker 5 (01:07:14):
Yeah, but also the forty nine ers just hit a
field goal, a forty eight yard field goal, So okay,
they're inching closer but the packers are still up by
fourteen on that one.

Speaker 2 (01:07:24):
Well, the cough is taken care of. I appreciate you
guys laugh from the tirect dot com studios Hit Mancy,
I bet Mancy Belanos. You can't find her on Blue Sky.
I think she's an Instagram person. So is Carry Rhoads.
Carry Rhoads's on Instagram? Yes, right, yeah, yeah, you're active
on Instagram as well, and so Carry Rhodes I saw
the other day posted a nice picture of Carrie sitting

(01:07:47):
there in uh leather jacket, white white pants. Have you
seen this, Manzi? Have you seen this picture?

Speaker 5 (01:07:55):
I have not been like yes about to. Don't you worry,
I'm gonna don't like it too, don't worry.

Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
You better like it. I like it right now. I
just like it right now, married to Oh, it's it's
climbing and climbing and getting some numbers. Give me over
twelve hundred. I like it.

Speaker 6 (01:08:12):
I'll have to. I'll have to.

Speaker 2 (01:08:14):
I'll have to review it. And you can even hear.
It's got Carrie's song in the background, right.

Speaker 6 (01:08:18):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (01:08:19):
Yes, a little promotion, a little promotion. I will say this,
and I've said this to him. Privately, so he knows
that I'm not b sing his song out. His song
that he is out now is good. I think we
all know people who are musicians and have friends and
maybe there's songs just maybe aren't your thing, or you
want to be nice, you want to encourage them and
be like you know, like, no, I love your song

(01:08:41):
and you've never listened to it. Yeah, his song is
so good. It was in my head the other day.

Speaker 5 (01:08:45):
Yes, yes, which one, because he's a few out?

Speaker 3 (01:08:49):
Yes, look look look yes it was. Yes, that's that's
the secret sauce. When you get that right there, that
a little harum you just did, that's all I need
because it's stuck in there at that point. No, it's
it's very very But he used to hashtag authenticity. Yes,

(01:09:11):
so yeah, the and that's is that for the music?
Is that for the Look that's that's for the music? Okay, yeah, authenticity.
But that's that's who I am in life, Like it's
it's all about that. Like if you can't live from
that place or operate from that place you got, you're
not going to make anything that's substantial anyway.

Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
So that's that's my feeling. Period. If this was me.
If this was authenticity of me, it would be sneakers,
a bob cap, and likely a hoodie and shorts. I
wore the Oilers throwback today because it Titans Texans figure.
It's kind of a blending of both worlds. By the way,
I went golfing this summer and I wore this hat.

(01:09:47):
I was gonna go do some stuff on the putty
green that when I was actually playing and two guys
walk past me and they're like, tighten up, and I'm like,
what are you talking about, Like like like, this is
the Houston Oilers. This isn't the t See Titans. Okay,
this is the Houston Oilers. I just played along. I'm like,
oh yeah, we're from Nashville and I and I wanted
to get into an argument, but I'm like, you know what,

(01:10:08):
if they're embracing this, then that's their fandom. But Titans
were in Houston today, so I'm like, let's wear the
throwback oiler's cap. I have more to say about that game, though,
because this is a game this embodies so much of
what I believe in football. I believe. I believe the
Tennessee Titans are gonna be all right under Brian Kelly too.

(01:10:30):
There's there's spots that you see. I don't know if
it'll be with will Levis or it'll be a quarterback
that maybe they draft. But I think that they're gonna
be all right, and I think that that is promising
for Tennessee. And I have another team and so when
we come back, okay, we got two teams. Okay. And
the Houston side of things is the frustrating part because CJ. Stroud. Again,

(01:10:54):
you don't have Steffan Diggs, but yeah, sacked four times
today through two interceptions, again just seeming out of sorts.
Their offensive line has been such an issue this year
that I think Stroud tries to do too much. In fact,
Stroud pulled an Orlovski and stepped out of the back
of the end zone. He was gonna get sacked anyway.

(01:11:16):
He wasn't looting the pressure. But four men rush on
a third and seventeen from your own one yard line
and he's dropping back and just didn't have the awareness
of where he was. They know, time and situation not
ideal in that scenario. But man, Houston falls to seven
and five. Will Levis, by the way, today two hundred
and seventy eight yards passing another touchdown from Westbrook A

(01:11:39):
Kine and Konquo had a long touchdown, but he was
sacked eight times. It was just a mess of a
ballgame and one that Tennessee goes and wins. But this
is the game on why I can't put Houston as
much as I wanted to when people liked them in
the preseason. I can't put them with the Chiefs in
the Ravens, or even the Chargers or the Bills. And

(01:12:03):
they got to win over the Bills earlier this season,
but I still would if they played again, would take
Buffalo to win that game. It's that type of game today.
That is just why I don't think anybody can trust
the Houston Texans this year. I one hundred percent agree
with you on that. And I was a little, I guess,
not really flabberg acid that they lost. You can lose

(01:12:24):
to anybody, and Tennessee. I really do believe they are
getting better as a year of progresses, and I don't
think anybody really wants to face them as this season progresses.
So I knew it would be a tough spot. But Houston, Houston,
we have problems, Yeah they do. Yeah, on the front line.
They cannot protect CJ.

Speaker 3 (01:12:41):
And so that's what's speeding up his clock, and that's
why he's making those mistakes. It's not that he's regressing,
it's because of that. And so that's going to be
a problem all year long and they'll probably win the division.
There are two games up on the Colts. Colts lost
today to the Lions. Yeah, didn't put a touchdown on
the board. Anthony Richardson just having a bunch of problems again.

(01:13:01):
Detroit obviously class to the NFL. I think they're the
best team in the league right now, but still just
some of the struggles. I don't think the Cults are
a threat. Plus the Texans have beating them twice.

Speaker 2 (01:13:10):
So it's really a three game lead that you've got
right now in the In the AFC South, Texans will
have a by coming up in a couple of weeks.
Maybe that will allow them to get a bit of
a breather. But yeah, tough times in Houston. After losing
to the Titans at home today. He is carry Rhodes.
I'm dan byer Monzi told you it's twenty four to
ten Packers on top of the Niners, a Green Bay

(01:13:31):
gonna punt it away to San Francisco. So we got
a ballgame at Lambeau. We have a ballgame in Las Vegas.
Gardner Minshew and the Raiders down six with a football
but facing a third and twenty three at the Denver
twenty eight yard line. There's ten minutes left to go,
and Gardner Minshew has hit brock Bowers over the middle
to get them at least in field goal ragn so
likely a field goal attempt coming up. While the Seahawks

(01:13:52):
are on top of the Cardinals thirteen to three, is
they're in the fourth quarter in Seattle. I'll look at
the fantasy numbers and I'll tell you what aren't so pretty.
He's carry roads. I'm Dan Byer. That's next year on
Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. He's carry Roads.
I'm Dan Byer. In Las Vegas, the Raiders trail Lebroncos

(01:14:13):
nineteen to sixteen. Denver's got the football at their own
forty five yard line. Was seven forty left to go,
and actually they've just crossed midfield and we'll have a
first and ten. So working the clock and looking to
work on their three point advantage the Packers right now,
I have a twenty four to ten lead on the

(01:14:34):
forty nine ers. As they enter the fourth quarter at
Lambeau Niners facing a third down and long, while in Seattle,
we have a development. Seahawks were driving, they were up ten,
thirteen to three. However, Gino Smith threw an I int
picked off Garrett Williams picked him off in the end
zone on a third and six. Looked like Gino is

(01:14:57):
maybe going to try to run for the first down.
Then threw across his body. Tell you what, he hit
Garrett Williams right between the numbers. It was a perfect pass.
The problem again, he plays for Arizona touchback and so
the Cardinals got the football and now they're in Seattle territory,
facing a third and four at the Seattle forty yard line.
It's a thirteen to three ball game, eleven point thirty
in counting. In the fourth quarter in Seattle, you almost

(01:15:20):
have to wonder if it was going to be fourth
down territory. It's not going to need to be, because
Michael Wilson just caught a great over the shoulder pass
from Kyler Murray. Yeah, and Wilson ran right under it
in double coverage as well. It's going to take him
inside the ten yard line, so Arizona will be knocking
on the door in a goal to goal situation. So

(01:15:42):
that's where we are in these three late games. Again,
the Niners facing a third and eleven down fourteen to
Green Bay and Brandon Allen just throws it out of bound.
So the Packers defense forcing a punt.

Speaker 3 (01:15:53):
Man It was a huge that's a crazy catch, a
crazy contested catch got them in right and in the
red zone here with a chance to score and make
this thing really interested in Seattle.

Speaker 2 (01:16:04):
Injury on the field in Seattle, so when that comes
back will tell you how the Cardinals do in their
first in goal situation. He's carry road, Tom dan Byer,
Let's get a look at some fantasy numbers with Patrick SWEEKA.
Patrick is such a positive guy.

Speaker 6 (01:16:20):
But oh not this time.

Speaker 2 (01:16:21):
We got some misses to talk about.

Speaker 7 (01:16:23):
I believe I've got some bad news everybody. So with
the quarterbacks, we're gonna go with the bad news here. Well,
if you started Tommy DeVito, which I'm gonna be real
with you, you really just that's kind of common sense.
Tommy DeVito had ten point eight Tommy DeVito, No, Tommy
Cutletz did not bring the Cutlets you know that.

Speaker 2 (01:16:43):
Performance by the Giants, you know what they should do?
What forget about?

Speaker 7 (01:16:49):
Well, if you did start Jared Goff for the Detroit Lions, ooh,
he lets you down. He also did the same thing.
Tommy DeVito did ten point eight, exactly like him. So
that's a bad one. Anthony Richardson, if you did start him,
got thirteen points flat. And then for anybody throwing a
hail Mary for Drake May, he had thirteen point five.

(01:17:10):
Did not look so good either. On that. That is
our quarterbacks for our biggest misses. Let's go with the
running backs, Dan and carry. For those of you that
have Rimandre Stevenson out there, me included, Yeah, I just do.

Speaker 2 (01:17:22):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 7 (01:17:23):
Three point three points. I have him to it hurt.
And Brian Robinson Junior, who's a really good running back.
I just traded for him this week in get him. Yeah,
three point four and he got hurt majorly why he
only had three point four got hurt immediately.

Speaker 2 (01:17:39):
I have a buye in two weeks as well, So
like just an awful deal.

Speaker 7 (01:17:43):
That I made and a first round pick getting three
point five. That's Jonathan Taylor, He's on my gullantine league. Oh,
Monty and I are trying to stay af floats, so
going to be one of us that I think are going.

Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
To be chopped.

Speaker 7 (01:17:55):
And speaking of injuries, also with another Washington commander Austin
Eckler four point four and also a little injured and
banged up in that game.

Speaker 2 (01:18:05):
So that is our missus for our running backs.

Speaker 7 (01:18:07):
Now wide receivers here, U there were honestly not a
whole lot, but a couple.

Speaker 2 (01:18:12):
We have three.

Speaker 7 (01:18:13):
The worst is a Viking wide receiver, my favorite player
in the whole entire league, Justin Jefferson, had four point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:18:20):
I'm sorry, Justin Wow. For those of you that started.

Speaker 7 (01:18:24):
Xavier Worthy, he only got nine point one, which is
I mean, that's that's the second lowest unless you have
like a fourth string wide receiver. And then Tyreek Hill
was underperformed with nine point eight. Those are our misses.
But tight ends, we have a couple.

Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
We have three. These are my final three.

Speaker 7 (01:18:40):
Here. We have a Dalton Schultz if you went for
the Houston Texans, he's not really been doing great anyways.

Speaker 2 (01:18:45):
He only had four points, so that's you know, really bad.

Speaker 1 (01:18:47):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (01:18:48):
For those of you riding the hot hand of the
Buccaneers and Kate Auten time. It looks like his time
is up because he only got four points, right, he
gets thirty yards today.

Speaker 2 (01:19:01):
And Sam Laporta for the Lions. Well, Laporta, Sam Laporta potty, Yes,
I didn't know. I didn't know if I wanted to
make the joke Laporta party. He put four point nine
points on on the day.

Speaker 7 (01:19:16):
So not not very good. But uh, those are our
misses everybody, But uh, fairly well.

Speaker 2 (01:19:20):
Bon Knicks did not miss Courtland Sutton in the end zone.
Broncos get on the uh extend their lead. I should
say about a three yard touchdown pass to the veteran
wide receiver. Bonicks doing his thing extra point was good
as for It's a twenty six sixteen game in favor
of the Broncos over the Raiders. Now the Cardinals and

(01:19:42):
their goal to goal situation. Kyler Murray threw the ball
away on first in goal, second and goal, tried to
make something happen with his legs and got down to
the five yard line, but then was hitting his helmet,
came off carry. You're saying he missed Trey McBride wide
open the lines. Now he here's the question. It's a
ten point game. We're early in the fourth quarter, not

(01:20:04):
early early, but ten minutes left in the fourth quarter.
You kicked the field goal here if you don't get
it on third and goal or you go for it.

Speaker 11 (01:20:10):
Oh, you have to kick the field goal. You're down
two scores. You got to get a score. Conservative carry,
we call him here on Fox Sports Radio. What will
the Cardinals do? He's Carry Rhoades. I'm Dan Beyer.

Speaker 2 (01:20:21):
Find out next right here lif Atthetirech dot com studios
on Fox Sports Radio. Well, Conservative Carrie called it right
with the Cardinals, and he almost called an interception when
Manzi was giving scores, and it almost happened. There's a
lot going on right now, Packers knocking on the door,
Raiders attempting a field goal, and the Seahawks just trying

(01:20:43):
not to turn it over. That's where we are in
these three late games. Green Bay a second and goal
from the half yard line and Josh Jacobs is in
the end zone again. Is that number three on the
day for Josh Jacobs. Green Bay's extended their lead to
thirty to ten extra point coming up. The Raiders have

(01:21:06):
kicked a field goal, so that is a twenty six
to nineteen game. Raiders actually had it first in goal
at the five yard line but were unable to cash in,
so they settle for the three points to make it
a one score game. Twenty six nineteen. Raiders have all
three timeouts and there's three p forty one left to go.
Denver has lost eight straight to the Raiders at the

(01:21:31):
Raiders so that includes dating back to Oakland. They have
not beaten the Raiders on the road since twenty fifteen. Wow,
Josh Jacobs, who told you into the end zone? The
extra point is good? So it's a thirty one to
ten lead with the Packers on top of the forty
nine ers and the Seahawks almost had an interception thrown
by Gino Smith. It was a ball that was off

(01:21:53):
the hand of Kenneth Walker that touched the ground before
being trapped by the Arizona defender. But now the Seahawks
get a first down on a pass play to Jackson
Smith and Jigbas still a lot of time though. It's
thirteen to six ball game in Seattle in that NFC
West slugfest.

Speaker 3 (01:22:12):
Yeah, that is three touchdowns for Jacob so by the way,
so that's three Yeah, this game is gonna go down
to the wire. Seattle up thirteen to six with the
ball first down, it's a flag on the play. But
this game between these two teams know it's going to
be competitive, in a good game, and right now we're
in for a barn burner.

Speaker 2 (01:22:29):
We are broadcasting line from the tierrec dot com studios.
Tierrec dot com will help you get there an unmatched selection, fast,
free shipping, free road as a protection. You know over
ten thousand recommended installers tirec dot com the way tire
buying should be. So the bo Nick situation in Denver
is they've got the football first and ten, three thirty
eight to go. They'll start at their own thirty yard line.

(01:22:49):
You obviously have the two minute warning as well. Denver's
gonna need a hut three first downs ye to be
able to run this clock out. Seattle sing a first
and twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:23:01):
Yeah, Denver's in that situation where if you really want
to become a playoff team and be a really good
good team this season, in these positions, three minutes thirty
eight seconds, first down, you're up by seven. We call
this the four minute drill. This is where you get
a couple first downs and you sought the game away,
kind of like the Kansas City recipe. That's what happens

(01:23:21):
at this point. Well, I'll say this, there's two things
at Denver.

Speaker 2 (01:23:24):
Number one that came up throwing a oh my god there,
so it's not going to be a ground and pound.
Denver has no timeouts left. They have used all three
of their timeouts, so if there's a situation where a
play clock is running down, they are not going to
be able to call timeout. So Denver has the seven
point lead. I'd much rather be up seven with no

(01:23:46):
timeouts than be where the Raiders are. But that's the
situation that we have right now in Las Vegas. We
told you the Packers are up twenty one on the
forty nine Ers. The latest score was set up Brandon
Allen on a to pass was hit from behind, lost,
the football was recovered by Green Bay, and then the
Packers had a very very short field. I know you're

(01:24:07):
down fourteen in that scenario, dropping back and throwing the
football when you're backed up like that, I know you're
down fourteen. That sealed the game right there. I just
I'm surprised that they haven't relied on the run game,
especially without Trent Williams there. Today, San Francisco has only
run the ball fourteen times. Christian McCarey mc McCaffrey has

(01:24:28):
eleven carries in this game. Green Bay's had the edge
in a time of possession. So just surprised on how
this is all at least worked out. It looked to
be a ballgame, at least at one point. But now
Green Bay has got some breathing room. On a third
and eight, Gino Smith is at DK metcalf for a
substantial gain up to midfield, and so the Seahawks will

(01:24:49):
get a first and ten. Arizona has two timeouts still
six minutes left a lot of time in that one,
but Seattle holding on to the seven point lead, and
the Broncos went three and out the three pass plays
and run the ball and now to give the ball
back to the Raiders with three twenty three left to go.

Speaker 3 (01:25:04):
Yeah, they did the opposite of what I just said.
I mean, you come out and you establish you want
to get a drive starter, you know, get a little run,
a little completion across the middle to give you some
confidence on that drive. First play, Denver drops back and
throws it deep and it's incomplete. So I guess you
know they're not a great football team yet that is
what we're figuring out. They still got to figure out
how to do that.

Speaker 2 (01:25:24):
I Sean Payton's done a great job with Bonnicks. I
think that there are people that say, maybe maybe the
game is pash on peyton By and you think he's
having the last laugh with what they've done with with
bon Nick so far. But I'll tell you it's when
you look at where Denver is in this scenario. If

(01:25:47):
you could just make the Raiders use two of their timeouts,
just do something to that point, you know, or run
more clock down instead. They made it pretty easy on them.
Forty nine ers had the ball. Christian McCaffrey was able
to get a sub stand gain but then fumbled on
his way down. So Green Bay is going to take over.
When it rains, it pours for the forty nine ers.

(01:26:08):
There was a run of about twenty five yards for McCaffrey,
but then the fumble cost him, so he turns it over.
Tell you what, that's what happens when you only get
eleven carries, right, You used to the football. By the way,
I will say this about Denver. Their strength is their defense,
so they are in a spot where, hey, their defense

(01:26:30):
is on the field, and now they've just sat Gardner.
Minshew is holding his left arm and not getting up,
so if he is unable to return, Desmond Ridder would
take over. There had been some talk a few weeks
ago about Ritter maybe taking over as the starting quarterback
with the Raiders, but Minshew has stayed. But now Ridder's
likely going to have to come in as it looks

(01:26:52):
like Minshew is a bit banged up, got pressured and
is holding something on his left side. Yeah yeah, but
a twenty six to nineteen game, Raiders now will be
facing second along as Minshew took the sack on that play.
As for what the Seahawks are doing with Arizona, they
continue to drive. Clock is ticking first and ten now

(01:27:16):
under four minutes. Seahawks have the football at the Arizona
thirty eight yard line. Just try to take time off
the clock again Arizona with two timeouts. Kenneth Walker a
gain of about five or six, so it'll be second
and second in about four yards for Seattle in that contest.
And yes, it was a fumble by Christian McCaffrey recovered
by Green Bay's looking to add a few more points

(01:27:37):
as they are in San Francisco territory. He is carry roads.

Speaker 6 (01:27:40):
I'm dan by Air.

Speaker 2 (01:27:41):

Ritter is in the game, will keep you up to
date on what's happening with the Raiders and Broncos. Ritter

(01:28:04):
able to scramble for about three yards, but it's going
to be a third and thirteen earlier today in a
game that I don't think people were paying much mind too,
because he had one of the better teams in the
National Football League and one of the worst teams in
the National Football League and was the Kansas City Chiefs
against the Carolina Panthers. Chiefs go into Charlotte, get all
they can handle from the Panthers, but Kansas City gets
the win. What happened in that game that you may

(01:28:26):
have missed. Was this here's the snap the game, No,
the throat of the end zone caught for a touchdown.
Lee RPO.

Speaker 10 (01:28:35):
It's David Moore that's on their best corner, Trent mcduffey.
So he comes up, he acts like he's blocking, and
then he runs his route. Just a really good throw
by Bryce right here and there.

Speaker 6 (01:28:46):
You heard it there.

Speaker 2 (01:28:46):
On ninety nine point seven the Fox and the Panthers
Radio Network. In a loss, Bryce Young went twenty one
to thirty five for Carolina two hundred and sixty three
yards and a touchdown. Bryce Young's second door this season
of the starting quarterback much better than his first.

Speaker 3 (01:29:03):
Yes, the Panthers and Bryce Young, I think they're finding something.
And I think for Bryce, being able to take a
step back and see how Andy Dalton operated in an
offense was probably a game changer for him because he
was able to sit back, you know, you know, diagnose
things with Andy Dalton as you know, I guess as

(01:29:25):
a backup, he's we saw him as a backup on
the sideline smiling. We haven't seen him smile once since
he's been in Carolina. So being able to get that
joy back for him has been a revelation. But also
we were talking about it and you brought up something
and I'm gonna let you bring that part up about
about the team that you were talking about in the
last break.

Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
But the Panthers, I believe that.

Speaker 3 (01:29:48):
I mean, they defense is as decent, and I think
as Bryce Young develops more more and more with that
team and with the coach out there, what's what's the
coach name? Thank you, they could have as well quicker
than quicker than what people think now.

Speaker 2 (01:30:03):
Nick Benito is one of the better pass rushers that
you've got in the National Football League. He got the
Desmond Ritter on that third down play between the Broncos
and Raiders, able to jar the ball loose. It was
ruled a fumble. Broncos recovered, so Denver takes over first
and ten in Raiders territory in field goal range if
they don't do anything. In fact, they got they lost

(01:30:23):
two yards on their first down and ten play, so
at second down to ten, Raiders ended up using their
first timeout. And now the Raiders, excuse me, the Broncos
ran a little looked like some boot action for bo
Nicks who just throws it out of bounds. But there's
two ten left to go. What is Sean Payton doing?
I They apparently don't care about the clock. They have

(01:30:47):
no desire. Here's here's now, here's a third and twelve play.
What I can say for this you have to run
the ball here. And the reason you have to run
the ball here it may not be as speak of
a deal because you have the two minute warning coming
up at some point, but if you ran the ball there,
Denver maybe takes the time out in that scenario and
then you're facing it time out here where if you

(01:31:11):
kick the field goal, if you're Denver in this scenario,
the two minute warning is likely going to happen on
the field goal kick. Yeah no, I mean you have
to run the ball here? Yeah, okay, okay, So a
third down and twelve and they do so. Now the
Raiders could call time out here, They could just end
up letting it go to the two minute warning, and
that's what they are going to do. So it's going
to be twenty six to nineteen two minute warning fourth

(01:31:33):
and eight for Denver. They got a field goal attempt
from Will Lut's coming up from about thirty five yards
or so to make it a ten point game, and
again Gardner Minshew has just left the game, so Desmond
Ritter is in the contest for the Raiders. The Packers
have it fourth and one at the forty nine ers
inside the ten yard line, about the nine yard line,

(01:31:54):
and they are trying to work the clock in this contest.
And we'll get back to the Brice Young conversation Jordan
of Love on the quarter of sneak ends up getting it,
so it's a first down four Green Bay. They'll have
a fresh set of downs, first and goal now at
the eight yard line. As for what's happening in Seattle,
it's not down to the two minute warning. Seahawks up
on the Cardinals thirteen to six. In that game, Seahawks

(01:32:15):
thill facing a fourth down and four from the Arizona
thirty two yard line. Arizona does have two timeouts, so
it'll take a lengthy kick from Jason Myers for the
Seahawks to extend the lead. If not, could be a
shorter field for Kyler Murray, who was appeared to be
dinged up a little bit on a play earlier in

(01:32:36):
the fourth quarter. But we'll see what happens in Seattle.
The point I was gonna make with Bryce Young today,
and I wanted to compare him to Anthony Richardson of
the Indianapolis Colts, because Anthony Richardson today had a tough
day as the quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts. It was
a It was a rough one twelve or eleven of
twenty eight one and seventy two yards to have ten

(01:32:58):
carries for sixty but there are just some plays that
don't have a chance. And here you got two guys
who were top five picks, Bryce Young number one overall,
Anthony Richardson fourth overall a year ago, and it feels
like they're going in two separate ways. Anthony Richardson had
a great game last week against the Jets that I

(01:33:18):
hope would carry over and maybe this Carrie was just
playing a good team like the Lions. By the way,
Jason Myers field goal good from a significant distance. And
so the Seahawks are up ten, sixteen to six a
minute fifty six to go, and the Packers have just
added a touchdown Leek Keith with the score. So it's

(01:33:39):
thirty seven to ten Green Bay on top of San
Francisco for fourteen to go. But you have Bryce Young
today showing out against the Kansas City Chiefs, and you
have Anthony Richardson in the Colts offense not being able
to get into the end zone against the Detroit Lions.
I know Shane Steichen and the Colts are trying to
figure out a way. It's why it didn't them for

(01:34:01):
going back to Anthony Richardson, and I feel like they've
got a longer window than we think of trying to
figure out with Richardson, considering how much of a project
that he is. But I just think it's I think
it's good for Bryce Young to have this sort of
success when you can point to Anthony Richardson and say
it could be this, because that could have happened to

(01:34:23):
Bryce Young. Bryce Young could have completely fallen off. And
even though they don't win today, they're competitive against the Chiefs,
they're in the ball game of the Chiefs needed a
late score to end up winning the game. It's more
of a it's more of a pat on the back
for Bryce Young to be able to rebound from what
he did. And I think unfortunately for Anthony Richardson, when
you compare him to his situation, maybe it doesn't look

(01:34:46):
as good because today the Colts were just out of sorts.
Going up against Detroit lines will do that to you, yes,
but it was just a tough day for Anthony richards.

Speaker 3 (01:34:53):
Yeah, Anthony Richardson is was solely drafted off of potential, right,
and so when is that potential going to be realized?

Speaker 7 (01:35:02):
Will it?

Speaker 6 (01:35:02):
Ever?

Speaker 3 (01:35:03):
I think that's the question or the state of being
that we're in as spectators and as coaches GMS of
of the Colts. Right, you see this physical specimen, a
guy that can make all the throws, you know, can
run over, you can jump over, you can do all
these things where it wows you.

Speaker 2 (01:35:23):
We've seen a lot of those.

Speaker 3 (01:35:24):
I've seen a lot of combined combine cats that you know,
everything jumps off, jumps off off the roof, and you're like,
we got to draft them. He's falling in that territory
right now. He's a he's not a good he's not
a fast processor of defenses yet, right, and so that
takes time. But some of the stuff that he does
out there is just it doesn't resemble an NFL quarterback

(01:35:46):
at all. So I want to know where this where
this goes sooner rather than later, And that's usually where
most teams and most GMS kind of lie. But he's
such a young guy. I mean, he's still younger than
all the quarterbacks coming out in this year's draft, So what.

Speaker 1 (01:36:01):
Do you do.

Speaker 2 (01:36:02):
It may be more of an indictment on the Jets defense,
but in the last four games than Anthony Richardson has played,
He's gone ten of twenty four, ten of thirty two,
the twenty of thirty last week against the Jets, and
then eleven of twenty eight today and again the Lions.
I believe the Lions are the best team in the
National Football League, but I believe the Kansas City Chiefs
are the second best team in the National Football League.

(01:36:25):
And Bryce Young today, what he did against the Chiefs
compared to what Anthony Richardson did against the Lions today,
two completely different performances. So kudos to Bryce Young, Yes,
even in the loss. All Right, here's where we stand.
Packers up thirty eight to ten and on the Niners
four minutes to go, Seahawks holding on to a ten
point lead, a minute twenty one left to go, Arizona

(01:36:46):
has the football They're going to need to score twice
while the Raiders are down twenty nine to nineteen. Will
Lutts made that short field goal and Desmond ritters into
the game. They're on the other side of the two
minute warning, so minute fifty five left to go in
the Broncos have a twin to nineteen lead. Raiders have
the ball at their own thirty five yard line. He's
carry Rhoads. I'm Dan Byer. Couldn't get any worse for

(01:37:07):
the New York Giants? And where do the New York
Jets go now that they don't have a GM? Those
questions asked for our NFL insider. That's next here on
Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. He's carry Rhads.
I'm Dan Byer, our NFL insider. Adam Kaplan joining us
here on Fox Sports Radio. You can hear them on
the Inside the Birds podcast, read them on the Pro

(01:37:27):
Football Network, and so much more.

Speaker 6 (01:37:29):
Do you want to let you know?

Speaker 2 (01:37:30):
Seahawks top the Cardinals sixteen to six. Well, the Raiders
are knocking on the door, but they're down ten to
the Broncos. It's twenty nine to nineteen. Raiders have it
second in goal at the half yard line. They thought
Trey Tucker got into the end zone. He was a
half yard short. Raiders took their final time out to
avoid the ten second runoff because of the replay. So
now the Raider's sitting there now that Desmond Riders, and

(01:37:51):
I just half yard. I would just take him. And
if you don't get in, you don't get in. But
throwing these passes into the end zone pointless and forty
nine ers down to the Packers thirty eight to ten.

Speaker 3 (01:38:02):
And there's a lot of people that are hoping that
they kicked the field goal here because it's a five
and a half point spread.

Speaker 2 (01:38:08):
I think that'd only make it seven. Care yes, and now,
and Adam Kaplan just reacting to Gardner Minter, excuse me,
to Desmond Ritter being sacked and time is likely going
to run out and that's going to end it. So
Lebronco is twenty nine to nineteen final winner over the Raiders.
All right, hello, Adam Kaplan, how are you well?

Speaker 12 (01:38:28):
Yeah, Desmond Rider is once highly thought of for a
brief period of time by the Falcons, but major accuracy
issues and they moved on and obviously they got Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 6 (01:38:36):
But what a crazy day of the NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:38:39):
Man.

Speaker 6 (01:38:39):
I just it's one of these things where okay.

Speaker 12 (01:38:42):
First half do you think you're going to get what
you see and then so many things happen. That's crazy.
Titans game, the Cowboys game. The Cowboys they did all
they could have tried to lose it, but they won it.
The Vikings game another one where I cannot craziness.

Speaker 6 (01:39:00):
Chiefs game.

Speaker 12 (01:39:00):
I mean, I give the Panthers credit under Man severely.
They took him to the limit.

Speaker 2 (01:39:05):
Yeah, we were just HIPing praise or heaping praise on
Bryce Young and his performance today the exact opposite from
the New York Giants. And that's where I want to start.
You know, the Giants made a business decision with Daniel Jones.
We've seen it before in the NFL. It shouldn't be
anything personal, but I feel like some Giants players are
out making their own business decisions because they went with
Tommy DeVito. How does I mean was it solely just

(01:39:27):
to get that hype and try to, you know, get
the emotion from last year? Like, why in the world
would you go to Tommy DeVito in that scenario?

Speaker 12 (01:39:35):
So, Tommy DeVito, I know this is not a popular decision.
I don't think everyone with the Giants agreed with this one.
I'm going to leave it at that. But he's a
better athlete than Drew Locke. There's no question about that.
He knows the offense.

Speaker 7 (01:39:48):
You know.

Speaker 12 (01:39:49):
Locke is kind of a statue back there now. He
throws the ball way better than Tommy DeVito. DeVito is
more of a run around, scrambling quarterback. Doesn't let place happen.
We'll check the ball down where Drew Locke wants to
throw the ball down field? Drew It's It is definitely
odd because Devido had never been acted for a game
this season. And then he starts and you and he

(01:40:10):
starts over the number two quarterback. You have to ask
yourself this question, why would you sign Drew Lock? And,
by the way, five million dollars that they oh, it's
actually four point nine to five million. It's fully guaranteed.
So they're not saving any money. They're not trying to
protect themselves like they did with Daniel Jones, who to me,
it makes no sense.

Speaker 6 (01:40:27):
I was told privately that just understand.

Speaker 12 (01:40:30):
The person I spoke to said, listen to understand what
Tommy does for us and what he's done. I'm like, yeah,
but why, but why would you skip Drew Lock? Don't
you want to take a look at him. I will
bet the house Drew Locke will wind up starting some
games before the end of season.

Speaker 6 (01:40:42):
That that has to happen. It will happen.

Speaker 3 (01:40:44):
Gotam, I want to get I want to pivot from
that game, and I want to go to my I
said my, because I think I brought this up to
you last week. But the Dolphins, Yeah, I mean, I
know they haven't played anybody in this stretch. I mean
they did be the Rams, who I think is going
to be a playoff time great.

Speaker 6 (01:40:59):
Win, Bob it is they couldpletely shut down Matthew Stafford
in LA.

Speaker 2 (01:41:03):
They did.

Speaker 3 (01:41:04):
They're playing well, and I know we talk about to
we talk about him not being able to, you know,
kind of get that signature win in the playoffs or
whatever it may be. He plays good in the regular
season and kind of tails off now that he's had
like a little break in here. Do you think that
he's feeling healthy? Obviously he is, But do you think
you can see him finally getting his team to a

(01:41:24):
place where he can he can get a signature, signature
moment is what I'm trying to get at.

Speaker 12 (01:41:28):
Well, I would say this, if you look at kind
of what's going on right now? Their defense, though they're down,
they're both edge rushers for the season, Chubbing Phillips.

Speaker 6 (01:41:37):
They're playing really disciplined defense.

Speaker 12 (01:41:39):
Now you could argue, I mean their strength of victory
is about as low as he gets to zero point
two seven, which is embarrassing.

Speaker 6 (01:41:48):
That's a joke.

Speaker 12 (01:41:48):
It's like you're playing you're beating teams that like don't compete,
but their defense is playing lights out. I just mentioned
that Stafford game. They could pletely shut him down. Two
is doing a good job. So the thing with two
of guys is this, when he's decisive, he's incredible. When
he gets the ball in like one point eight to
one point five. When he takes two seven to three seconds,

(01:42:11):
he doesn't know he gets stuck or he gets hit.
And that's been the story of his career because that's
when he takes contact. If he gets rid of the
ball quickly, he's good enough. And their pass starket group
is good enough and Jhona Smith has done a great
job of turning around his career.

Speaker 6 (01:42:26):
Get another big game for them today.

Speaker 12 (01:42:28):
Now, the problem that you have is with Denver being
obviously one of the big surprises the league, they're still
there's still a game and a half back of Denver
and Baltimore. Now we'll see what happens tomorrow night at
the Chargers. They're hanging in there at Denver. See Denver
is playing great defense. Bo Knicks has been very underrated.
Like he very quietly, He's had one of the best

(01:42:51):
rookie seasons of a quarterback in a while. He's playing
great football, folks. Jane Daniels is not I mean Jane Daniels.
I give him credit for bringing the team back, but
I don't think Daniels is healthy. I know that he's
not on the interurport with the ribagery. I don't think
he looks great. But Bo Nicks, very quietly's really turned
the season around.

Speaker 2 (01:43:06):
Adam That's been my my rookie of the year, Offensive
rookie of the Year.

Speaker 12 (01:43:11):
Yeah, surprised me. Yeah, I got guys. Here's the book
on him. Yes, he started a ton of games in college,
but you know he he struggled at all, burned and
he transferred played better, but there was a lot of
running around. You know, they're just the tape wasn't great.
I know a lot of teams of the year had
second third round grades on him. Danver had a late
one on him, I'm told, and yes it is true.

(01:43:32):
It's not just hyperbole. Sean Payton thought there was a
lot of Drew Brees and him so far. I can't
disagree with it.

Speaker 2 (01:43:40):
Adam Kaplan hit him up on ex at Kaplan NFL.
Have you made the blue sky switch yet?

Speaker 6 (01:43:46):
You know, I've thought about it. I'm going to monitor
it because I never did the threats thing.

Speaker 2 (01:43:50):
Yeah, I just just keep the weekly update since Adam's
out there, follow me Dan Byer dot this guy dot
social something along those lines.

Speaker 6 (01:43:58):
What are you talking about on this? Your Seahawks?

Speaker 2 (01:44:00):
What you know a little bit of this, a little
bit of uniform talk, a little bit of that. You'll
have to follow me.

Speaker 6 (01:44:05):
Can I ask you a question? Yes, who's going to
win the NFC West?

Speaker 2 (01:44:09):
Hey, I'll tell you who won't. That's the forty nine ers.
So I like the Seahawks chances right now. I think
this window is closed at him. I think it is
even if they were somehow to find their way into
the playoffs. They're not beating Philadelphia, they're not beating Detroit.
I know they played Green Bay today severely shorthanded so

(01:44:31):
not a fair assessment, but they wouldn't meet them. Vikings
handled them earlier this year. I just don't think it's there.
I don't think it's there this year, and I think
that this window is closed.

Speaker 12 (01:44:40):
I think the injuries, yes, they're clearly a factor, but
you have to go back to Ayuk's hold in and
he signed laid and he only had the one good
game at for tours ACL. Their defense has not been
what we were expecting. There are reasons injuries and guys
aren't able to play. Unfortunately, there's just something missing. But Caffrey,
by the way, just he just doesn't look like himself

(01:45:02):
playing with this Achilles strain.

Speaker 6 (01:45:05):
We don't talk enough about that. And brock Perdy's shoulder injury.

Speaker 12 (01:45:07):
You know, it's crazy, like he the MRI on Money
was clean, no structural damage, but he had so much
inflammation he could throw the ball well. So they shut
him down and they think he's going to be able
to play next week at Buffalo. But you're right, Dan,
their schedules hard. What I'm gonna get that one wrong.
I thought they'd be way better. Huh, Yeah, I didn't.
I actually feel like I nailed it on the Yeah,
how did you feel. I found that the Super Bowl

(01:45:30):
hangover was going to have its own effects. They played
a lot of games over the last couple of years.
You mentioned that you hold out Trent Williams. Really wasn't
a big deal because we've seen tackles do this before.
When stuff like that goes on in the off season,
it's very difficult to right your wrongs, you know, like
it's there's some discord there and there's something that's off

(01:45:52):
with it. Then when I comes back, he's not wearing
the same shorts, and there's just little things. Yeah, just
these little things add up. And the point about McCaffrey
I think was so important was there was no guarantee
after the injury and what he's been dealing with. We're
talking about a running back who's in his late twenties
that is miles on him, who, by the way, has
had a past of injuries and lately has been the

(01:46:16):
anomaly of Christian McCaffrey of him being healthy all the time.
And I would add this, yep, I would add this,
And look, they no better than I. Why Josh Dobbs
is their third quarterback and Brandon allis their second. Brandon
allc is not a backup quarterback.

Speaker 6 (01:46:30):
He's just not. I mean, I ask the same question.

Speaker 12 (01:46:33):
It's really bad. I mean that that Dan, we don't
have enough time. But there are so many teams that
have bad backup quarterbacks. It's hard, man. I get it,
like there aren't like sixty four good quarterbacks the NFL.
I get that, but the league once they decided they're
going to short our off seasons and the players won,
and that you're just seeing. It's epidemic. I mean, it's

(01:46:55):
really bad. The lack of good number two quarterbacks. It's
you can't win. And like there's a saying in personnel,
I need my backup quarterback in a tough spot to
give me three to four quality games where you're not hurting.

Speaker 6 (01:47:08):
The football team taught me to be to day was terrible. Okay,
it's just bad.

Speaker 12 (01:47:14):
You can go through, you can go through so many
teams that have bad backup quarterbacks now. And then the
other thing is you don't know that you need one
until the guy's got to play, you know, and the
Niners wi learn that today.

Speaker 6 (01:47:24):
So there's just too many teams like that.

Speaker 2 (01:47:26):
And I also think, and I'll let Kerrie ask his
question next, but I think the NFL has become such
a sport where it's so dependent on quarterback play that
no matter what happens, when you lose yours, you are
so far behind the eight ball. And a lot of
these teams you may think they have capable guys, but
the rest of the team then isn't built well around
them to have success because of how quarterback dependent this

(01:47:49):
league is. So I think there's a lot of domino
effects when it comes to it.

Speaker 12 (01:47:53):
You know, it's though it affects Kerry Knows as a
former player, it affects the entire football team when you're
when you don't have a good quarterback, you could play
great around the guy. Now, look, the Browns are very lucky.
They have Jameis Winston, they had Flacco last year, and
they give their front office credit. But there are some teams. Man,
you saw by the way you saw when Tua got hurt.

(01:48:13):
Now I know that Thompson scylet Chops had had a
shoulder injury, but he's kind of he's done't throw the
ball real well, that's a problem. I mean, you go,
there's a reason why I'll give you one more before
we get out of here. There's a reason why Josh
Johnson is the number two quarterback for Baltimore. He's been
on a he's been on eleven teams. Folks like, that's

(01:48:34):
the kind of journeyman quarterback you're looking at now in
the National football The guy keeps getting jobs because he's
decent enough, but in the end, you're only as good
as your backup quarterback.

Speaker 3 (01:48:44):
Well, look at Cooper Rush, right, a guy that's been
to leave almost ten years now, and he's thirty one.
He's leave almost ten years and yeah he's what got
didn't what's three four starts in his career? But come yeah,
he did well today. But I'm gonna talk about another
quarterback in Houston. A lot of people were high on
the Texans, obviously coming off the year they had last year.
For sure, this year they're okay, they're seven and five,

(01:49:05):
but they got a lot of problems. I mean, how
are they going to keep style healthy the rest of
the way.

Speaker 12 (01:49:10):
Yeah, and you know their offensive line. I know they've
spent a lot of money and they've used a lot
of draft picks. Their offensive line has been extremely disappointing,
really bad.

Speaker 6 (01:49:18):
Today.

Speaker 12 (01:49:19):
They couldn't open any holes for Joe Mixon. I got
to give the Titans credit. They've been mostly a really
bad football team. Will Levis had a couple of bad turnovers,
but he also made some great throws.

Speaker 6 (01:49:28):
We'll leve us.

Speaker 12 (01:49:29):
We'll say this so much about him. He's very gifted
if he doesn't make the bonehead play. And even Levis
talked about it last week. He said he improved. He
knew he improved when he didn't do anything stupid. I
wish I had the court in front of him. Was
actually very funny because Levis knows his issues. It's just
inexplicably he mixed dumb decisions. But he played well today.
And now getting back to Houston, Strouder's not played anywhere

(01:49:50):
nearly to the level as he did last year as
a rookie, where he's really elite. Quite frankly, their defense
is not played quite the level what they're expecting it to.
It's been okay, but and I know they've had some
injuries on defense, but there's something missing with a team
they're obviously going to win that division because it's a
bad division. But yeah, they're they're disappointing. I'm with you, Carre.
I thought they'd be way better than.

Speaker 2 (01:50:09):
This, all right, I got one last one before you go.
Is this dawned to me this week? You can tell
me I'm crazy. Carry you don't even know what I'm
going to ask. You can tell me I have no idea.
Got okay. I think there are a lot of bad
teams in the NFL, and we think tanking is for
the draft order. I think tanking is now for a
last place schedule like that. It plays a big rule Giants.

(01:50:30):
Maybe you think the Giants are doing that, like if
you can, like, if you're gonna stink, let's make sure
that we stink worse than every other team in our
division so we get that last place schedule the next year.
You think there's any validity towards you.

Speaker 12 (01:50:42):
If not, that's a new one. I've never heard that
one before ever, neither. That's interesting. No, but Dan, it's
clearly to me that the Giants will never admit this.
They know they have to have a quarterback and we'll
get in more more than this. My early word that
I've got there only three quarterbacks who go in the
first round. Now, I know we'll see who declares. But
cam Warden I got cam Ward over Shore Sanders. Some

(01:51:03):
people might disagree in Milrow. It's a third guy who
he This guy's dynamic, dynamic with a ball in his hands,
but he's just done throws.

Speaker 2 (01:51:11):
Well, yeah, the other guys, but don't do it.

Speaker 6 (01:51:14):
But guys, it's not a good draft for quarterbacks. I'm
telling you right now. It doesn't. From what I've been told,
it's not.

Speaker 2 (01:51:19):
Great, which is why Drew Locke is mad because he
can't show off his skills because maybe he could get
a job somewhere.

Speaker 6 (01:51:24):
Someone was He's going to play before the NBC.

Speaker 12 (01:51:26):
This is embarrassing. Look, you can't, Tommy de Video. It's
a third string quarterback at best. Some would argue you
should be in the NFL. But he has won some games.
I don't know how, but he has won some games
in the past.

Speaker 2 (01:51:36):
Adam, thanks so much of the time. I have a
great Thanksgiving. We'll talk to you next week. He's carry Rhoades.
I'm Dan Byer. It's Adam Kaplan. Moncey Belanos is at
the news desk. It's happening in Manci.

Speaker 1 (01:51:46):
Well.

Speaker 5 (01:51:46):
The afternoon window or the late window if you're on
the East Coast has wrapped up. The Seahawks top the Cardinals,
sixteen to six. I did not pick the Seahawks. Sorry
Dan and my friend Grace, but you guys are talking
about the NFC West is a mess. It's a mess,
and if you're curious, the Niners are in last place now.
The Rams aren't playing the Eagles, so obviously they can
end up tied in last place. But right now the

(01:52:07):
forty nine ers are in last place. They did lose
to the Packers thirty eight to ten. Josh Jacobs with
his own hat trick three touchdowns one hundred and six
yards after twenty six carries, Christian McCaffrey eleven carries thirty
one yards. That was it for San Francisco. The Broncos
defeat the Raiders twenty nine to nineteen. Earlier today, the
Cowboys snapped five game losing streak after beating the Commanders

(01:52:28):
thirty four to twenty six. The Titans had a thirty
two to twenty seven upset over the Texans the Vikings.
They walked it off with the field goal in overtime
to beat the Bears in Chicago thirty to twenty seven,
and the Lions, for the first time since nineteen thirty four,
are ten to one, the first time since nineteen thirty four.
They outscored the Colts twenty four to six. That's right,

(01:52:49):
Chiefs are ten and one two. They walked it off
with a thirty one yard field goal to beat the
Panthers thirty to twenty seven. Also wins for the Buccaneers
earlier today and the Dolphins and last year women's college hoops.
I gotta tell you this. South Carolina's forty three game
win streak was snapped by UCLA today. So just so
you guys know, seventy seven to sixty two is the final.

Speaker 4 (01:53:08):
There.

Speaker 5 (01:53:08):
He's in nineteen thirty four, nineteen thirty four.

Speaker 3 (01:53:12):
I wasn't born yet. That's crazy, crazy, you were just
missed it. I was trying to figure out if I
was around.

Speaker 2 (01:53:20):
I can't stand on the Lions just where they're playing.
They call them throwback uniforms, but they just take the
logo off the helmet like exactly. Just annoys me so much.
Just wear the normal one. But I don't know. Maybe
they'll end up doing it on Thanksgiving and we'll see
that stat coming up on Thursday. All right, thank you
very much. Monsey, Yes, find her on ex at Moncey Belanos.

(01:53:40):
You can find me at Dan Byer on Fox. You
can find Carrie at Carrie twenty five Roads. We are
a lot from the Tirerec dot Com Studios. Are week
twelve MVPs come up next here on Fox Sports Radio,
it is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Liffroth Tirerec dot
Com Studios. He's Kerrie Ro. I'm Dan Byer. Tonight you

(01:54:02):
got the Eagles and the Rams Sofi Stadium in La.
Tomorrow night Sofi Stadium in La, you got the Ravens
and the Chargers. And then it's the Thanksgiving week that
NFL triple header Bears, Lions, Giants, Cowboys, Dolphins, Packers. Oh okay, yeah,
two out of three Dolphins on cold weather. That's the

(01:54:28):
that's the Iffy one. But that's what you got on
your Thanksgiving schedule. Hit carry out by carry twenty five Roads.
You can find me at Dan Byer on Fox. I
guess my big takeaways today and it's nothing changed with
the Niners completely depleted today, we expected them to lose.
The line just skyrocketed when you heard how many guys
were going to be out. They lose thirty eight to

(01:54:49):
ten to the Packers. They're now five and six on
the season. Now they got to go to Buffalo coming
up in Week thirteen. The Vikings just keep on winning.
We didn't dive into the craziness of that game against Chicago,
but it's the one thing that when I see Detroit
sitting there at ten and one, and I think they're
the best team in the NFL, you still the Vikings
just right behind him at nine and two within the division. Yes,

(01:55:11):
you know, so Detroit's gonna have a lot to play
for coming down the stretch, just to try to fend
off the likes of green Bay in Minnesota. Say green
Bay eight and three, So yeah, they're right there. Yeah.
The Week twelve did provide some craziness. Cowboys going knock
off the Commanders, bringing in a bunch of teams in
the NFC for that final wild card. I think we
thought maybe Washington was going to be able to run
away like some of the other teams in the AFC,

(01:55:33):
but that was not the cases. The Cowboys get a
big win. He has carry road. I'm Dan Byer here,
you're Week twelve MVPs. You know what common is?

Speaker 1 (01:55:43):
