Speaker 1 (00:01):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
All Right, it's chilly out there, but things are moving,
things are grooving into.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
The National Football League.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
We got three games in this late window, including a
rivalry that is I was gonna say almost unmatched, but
it's one of the most storied rivalries in all of sports,
Packers and Bears.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
And fittingly enough, as you heard Monty say.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Zero zero between the Bears and Packers as they play
in Lambeau. Welcome in. It is Week fourteen in the NFL.
He is the all pro hit carry out at Carried
twenty five Roads. You could find me at dan Byer
on Fox. Let's look at this late window right now,
and it is scoreless between the Bears and Packers in Lambeau.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
We know that.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Green Bay's defense is good. Caleb Williams a lot on
his shoulders. The Bears actually won a Week eighteen game
against Green Bay last year, which ended up changing some
of the seating in the NFC. Green Bay rested some
guys in that game, but Caleb Williams in a bit
of famili your territory, there seem to be more Bears
fans there now facing a big third and seven at
(01:04):
their own forty near the end of the first quarter.
Speaker 5 (01:06):
Yeah, this has been a really storied game as far
as the NFL goals, and I think when you know,
in recent years, green Bay has had at the upper hand.
But right now Chicago is sniffing, sniffing, trying to win
at division and coming out here in competing right now
early in the game, first quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
Still, but I'm excited to see this one.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Jordan Love a bad interception in the first quarter, I believe,
on Green Bay's first possession, but they were able to
hold the fort. Caleb Williams right now is having a
bit of a tough day, one for seven for just
two yards, So that's an understatement. However, if you're the Bears,
you kind of weather the storm of green Bay in
the first quarter and hang around, play a field position
(01:48):
game and you never know what's going to happen at
the end. Not necessarily a bad start for the Bears,
who end up putting it back to the end zone.
Now we shift our focus to what's happening in the
NFC Wests, maybe out of it. We found out this
week there is no Kyler Murray for the rest of
the season, so it is Jacoby Brissette's job. But we
got a ten to seven ball game with the Rams
on top of the Cardinals starting the second quarter.
Speaker 5 (02:09):
Yeah, I mean, obviously the Rams need to win this game.
The Rams are favorite to win this game. But you
know how I go with me talked about it. These
division games are tricky. They know each other well and
historically the Cardinals play the Rams tough anyway, so it's
going to be It's going to be a hard, fallt game.
I think the Rams pull away at the end, but
it'll be competitive.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
The Rams have quite a bit of a gauntlet, so
much is made of their matchup with Seattle earlier this season.
They've got the Seahawks in Week fifteen, but Sandwich. In
between this one and that contest, Detroit comes to town. Yeah,
so Detroit when the Lions. We excuse me, Detroit and
the Rams will be playing them next week, and then
in week sixteen. It's the Thursday night a fair so
(02:50):
the Rams are going to have a condensed schedule with
that Thursday night came But these are all big games.
The Lions obviously have something to play for it right now,
still on the outside looking in and would need a
little help in the NFC, But that could sort itself
out over these final four or five weeks of the
regular season.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
And it is interesting because.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
They become so valuable when you look at the forty
nine ers right now on a buy and week fourteen
carry at nine and four in the seventh seed.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Nine and four gets you the last spot in.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Right now, and again, this is gonna sort off. Packers
Bears will sort something out, ye, But if the Packers
lose this game, then the Niners can move up a spot.
But it is I mean, there's a lot to play for.
Bears have the forty nine ers later on in their schedule,
but this is one if you're the Rams that I
know Arizona is a nice feel good story, but you
can't lose this one with what's ahead for you.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Yeah, they can't lose this.
Speaker 5 (03:44):
And they already had a bad loss last week and
so for them, they need to bounce back. They said
definitely have focus going into this game. I know they
had some health issues even with the head coach as
far as him being available for this game so much
due to illness, but they got to come out and
win these games.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
And you talked about it.
Speaker 5 (04:01):
You lose in that green basic cargo game, you lose
dancing one of whoever takes control. We're talking about a
division that had three teams in the playoffs last year,
and now the way the playoff picture is shaping up
right now, it could be one, you know, by the
end of it. And now it's not likely that's going
to happen, but it could be.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
This is the frustrating thing, and it's going to be
the conversation that pops up again, especially with the Buccaneers
losing today to the Saints. They and the Panthers now
in the thick of it in the NFC South, but
you are going to have possibly not one, but two
teams and maybe even three wild card teams that are
all have better records than what a division winner would
(04:40):
have in the NFC. You hate that, Dan, I can't
stand it. I just I don't like the incentive of
what these teams go through. Like I understand that having
a top line, the number one overall seat, or at
least winning that division is enough to play for. I
just think that the other teams are they're so penalized
(05:02):
by it, and watching the way that the Buccaneers played today,
they have no business being in the playoffs, So they're
just right now, they are not playing good football. And
I don't know if Baker Mayfield isn't one hundred percent.
But the Saints went in in a sloppy game. The
Buccaneers went forward on fourth down about five or six times,
only converted a couple of times, and statistically it's fairly
(05:22):
even ballgame. But the Saints made plays at the end,
and Tampa did it, and now they're seven and six,
and I just don't think that they match up to
the level of play of a RAMS squad, of a
forty nine er squad. We matched the Seahawks one earlier today. Technically,
as we speak at this moment, they're number one in
the NFC. But it is because I just don't think
that you're really rewarding the greatness. You're penalizing for not
(05:45):
winning your division. And I don't think that that's that's
why I hate the rules so much. I don't mind
if you get into the playoffs by winning the division,
because right now, winning the division in the NFC South
is the only way they could get in. The Buccaneers
wouldn't even be sni the playoffs right now. For the Panthers,
the Panthers right now are sitting there as the ninth
in the ninth spot in the NFC. Yeah, at seven
(06:06):
and six, they're behind the eight and five Lions, so
they wouldn't even be sniffing a playoff spot at this point.
Yet they not only get the playoff spot, but they
get the home field advantage. It just, to me is
completely unfair.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
Yeah, the home field advantage thing. I agree with you
on that for that reason alone. And again, yes, I
understand the thinking behind it, but yeah, when you have
teams that are thirteen to four playing on the road
in the next in the next, in the next game,
it's just it just doesn't really make any sense. But
you talk about these teams that are sniffing the playoffs
(06:36):
and trying to win divisions, and right now, this is
the most exciting time for the NFL, right, I mean,
every game really matters, and they all matter, but when
you get to this point, there's no hiding behind any
cushions anymore.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
And it's a big game for the Broncos. They've got
a match up against the Raiders now Denver beat the
Raiders earlier on the season, but a tiebreaker that Denver
and New England may have to face is winning percentage
against common opponents, and the Raiders would be a common
opponent and the Broncos would have two wins against them.
And then we remember what happened in Week one where
(07:10):
the Patriots lost at home to the Raiders. And it's
crazy to think the Raiders, one of the worst teams
in the entire NFL, beat the best team right now
in the AFC earlier on the season.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
And that's that's where we are.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
But that's why this Denver Raiders game has some value
because if Denver wins, Denver will then jump New England
for the playoff picture at this point of having the
number one overall seed in the AFC.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
Yeah, no's and we talk about it a lot. A
lot of these games they matter and even when you
think they don't, and obviously all games aren't created equal,
but by the end of the season it could be,
and so having these percentage points come into play, well, definitely, yeah,
I mean I saw that stat early as well. Have
Denver jump New England for the first spot, So it's
going to be interesting down the stretcher.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Jacoby Brissaida said Michael Wilson for a big play to
get him near midfield, and Cardinals offense has made a
few more. But now they're facing a third and ten
down ten to seven to the Rams with nine to
nineteen left to go, the Cardinals having the ball in
the red zone right now from the Rams twelve yard line,
Trey McBride area. But really, right now, if you're the
(08:14):
Cardinals in this situation, just don't turn it over. Come
away with some points to answer the Rams taking the lead.
But a third and ten right now for Arizona's Jacoby
Brissett's eleven for fourteen so far, well, yeah.
Speaker 5 (08:26):
They won't turn it over here, Dan, I mean, Kylin
Murray's not a quarterback. Oh shot to fire. I'm sorry, sorry, Colin, Sorry,
I didn't even No, No, they've got You're right, Dan,
they gotta be some fart with the ball here as
as a COBE prosess those interceptions. I'm joking, he only
got sacked, But like you said, protecting three points.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Here, Dan, and they're gonna have to settle for the
attempts looking for Trey McBride, as I like to say
it in my German accent, unable to get the football
to him. So the Cardinals are going to have to
settle the Cardinals, man, your former team. They are a
thorn in the side of many and the Rams dealing
with it today. And Jacoby bris said, as we mentioned,
(09:07):
was eleven or fourteen, one hundred and thirty nine yards
already in a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
The field goal is good.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
So it's tied up at ten apiece between the Cardinals
and the Rams. I was watching the Packers Bears game
with the sound on earlier, shocked at the amount of
Bears fans that are in lambeau Field. Now there are
Bears fans everywhere. There's a bunch of Bears fans in
the state of Wisconsin. I was surprised shocked to hear
(09:34):
how many fans that there were. And it's I think
we have these conversations of what's a good fan base,
what's a not good fan base, And we say, well,
guess what charge it on a good fan base because
their stadium gets taken over by the opposing by the
opposing fans.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
We are seeing this.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
More and more and more, and when opposing fans find
it to be a game that they want to see carry,
they may be willing to pay the high prices that
season ticket holders want and so when we rip on
the Chargers, or we rip on the Cowboys or.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Other teams, the Cardinals.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
As well, perfect example like this is now happening everywhere
in the National Football League. Now the Packers, at least
to their defenses, they can go and play a game
in Arizona and completely take the stadium over. But I
was surprised at how many Bears cheers I heard on
the interception by CJ. Gardner Johnson earlier in this contest.
There were a lot more Bears fans in attendance, And
(10:37):
I just think this is the way of the National
Football League, Like this isn't This isn't an indictment on
Green Bay or their fans or how they feel about
their team. It happens every single place. And I can't
expect a fan base if someone's going to pay you
four times a ticket, you know, for the value of
the ticket, to give it, to sell it to someone else,
(10:59):
just because you want to root on your team. Like
I know, it's everything that flies in the face of
being a fan. But this is the way of the
NFL and lambeau Field today, by and large, I think
is the representation of what we've seen throughout the NFL.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
You hit it on the head.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
But also the other point on that, to even expound
is just right now, what holiday is coming.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
Up, Christmas? People saving money.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
So again, if you're expecting, if you're going to come
and buy a ticket, that's yeah, two times worth the value,
and I can pay for it and you can't.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
I'll just I'll take it off your hands. That type
of deal. As well.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
I know that they are going to be Packer fans
that aren't happy. It's not an indictment on them by
any means, but it's more of the way of the world.
It's the more of the way of the NFL and
selling tickets. Chris purfettis here. It's going on.
Speaker 6 (11:49):
Chris, I was going to say, I feel like this
issue always comes up at least once a year with
the Packers. I remember a couple of years ago, it
happened for maybe last year with the Lions fans invading
Lambeau and like from what I remember, like there always
seems to be a blame on Like I think they're
called gold season ticket holders, is basically an older fan base,
so some of them from Milwaukee as well, So like
(12:09):
it did, but I mean, I tell you with you.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
It's like the usual way this happens. It's it's Lambeau.
Speaker 6 (12:16):
You want to go visit up there, and like you
can't fall anyone from selling tickets, but it feels like
the usual suspects will be trotted out for this one.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
There are there are two ticket packages that the Packers sell.
There is a Green package and a Gold package. And
the gold package is sold to the Milwaukee markets and
the Gold package is two regular season games and one
preseason games. The other ones are all given to a
Green package. I know this because my family members have
the green packages, and like, what's the gold game this year?
Which games are you missing out? So there is there
is there are different Packer fans that end up going
(12:44):
to them. But Chris, let me ask you this. Yeah,
you were at the Thanksgiving Day with Green Bay and Detroit.
How many Packer fans were there in attendance for that game?
Not as many as I thought. To be honest, I thought, no,
love it.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
Thank you so much. I was hoping would say I
thought a lot more. I really did. But but how
what would you say? The split was eighty twenty or so? Guy?
Speaker 2 (13:10):
So twenty percent? I think that's pretty significant. For what
would be a traditional game. It's not fifty to fifty.
That's not at all what I'm saying. I'm just saying,
you heard Bears cheers, which were surprising in that, and
if you had fifteen percent of the fans be Bear fans,
it's actually going to make some noise. Sure it's not
the fifty and sixty if you're going to have, but
(13:31):
it is more. Shaye, what do you got for us?
It's all right, we got to take a time out.
So Green Bay just got into the end zone. Jordan
loved the Christian Watson on a touchdown pass, so the
Packers their fans have something to cheer. Four and the
smaller number of Bears fans but still significant sitting on
their hands. So it's six nothing with the extra point
coming up. Broncos continue to lead the Raiders fourteen to seven,
(13:53):
and the Rams and Cardinals remained tied up at ten.
A check in from one of the biggest games of
the day, as the Bills were able to survive against
the Bengals.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
We'll focus on that next on Fox.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Bears and Packers, here's a.
Speaker 7 (14:51):
Snap blis on they pick it up initially, lofts the middle,
go for walks, touch.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Down frame by Packers.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Crush you had to Watson took it away.
Speaker 9 (15:03):
From Kevin Fire ten up.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Packers strike first twenty three yard touchdown pass to Dan
Byer and carry Rhoads.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
There it is.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
It is end zone radio. He has carrier roads. I'm
Dan Byer ninety seven point three. The game wrn W
Packers Radio network with the call extra point was good.
So Green Bay's up seven to nothing in that one
Raiders facing a fourth and three at the end of
the first half near midfield, Broncos leading the Raiders fourteen
to seven. Kyraen Williams just got into the end zone
for the Rams. They're up seventeen to ten on the Cardinals.
(15:35):
Nice weather in Las Vegas and Arizona helps when you
play indoors.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
That was not the case today in Buffalo. Let's focus
on that.
Speaker 7 (15:43):
Now.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
It's time for the NFL on Fox.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Focus amidst rain, sleet, snow, everything that you could imagine win.
The Buffalo Bills got a win against the Bengals today
to approved to nine to four. With a thirty nine
to thirty four victory over Cincinnati. Joining us now he
was on the call for Fox Sports, Joe Davis joins
us from Buffalo. Joe, welcome in Hope, you're warm. At
(16:10):
the start of the game, did you ever imagine this
contest could end up with both teams combining for seventy
three points?
Speaker 10 (16:16):
Yeah, I think we were. I think that was our
hope that we would get there with those two quarterbacks.
Who was just a different path to get there than
we talked. You know, it looking like it was going
to be all Cincinnati. And then the game turning on
those couple of defensive plays at Buffalo.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Made Joe Davis joining us here on Fox Sports already.
I want to talk about the offensive play made by
Josh Allen. I understand the defense in the interception on
Joe Burrow, but it sure seemed something changed when Alan
went on his sprint forty yard touchdown run to make
it a one score game in the fourth quarter. Was
(16:50):
there a feeling where Bill's fans losing hope? Tell us
about that play where Allen was able to scramble for
forty and get the score.
Speaker 10 (16:57):
Yeah, he just this guy has a nap for when
a team needs something given it to him, and he
always seems to have that play that injects that life
and injects that hope into his like you said, crowd,
and into his team. They had been down the whole day,
they were down two scores at that point. He rips
off the longest touchdown run of his career, and it
(17:17):
says if he says, don't worry, folks, this ain't over yet,
And not too many guys can do that by themselves,
but he does it all the time.
Speaker 5 (17:26):
Joe, I mean, these two teams Obviously, the Bengals have
been a disappointment because of injuries and also the defense,
but they've played well. They've played well since Joe Burrow
has gotten back as far as obviously to go to
score points, but the defense had been playing better. Then
you've just insert Josh Allen, right, and obviously he put
on the Superman cap at the end of this game
and brought them back to win the game. But this
(17:48):
Buffalo Bills teem to me that they still have a
lot of flaws, but they continue to win. Is it
just solely Josh Allen being heroic or does this team
have more than I think they have?
Speaker 10 (17:59):
Well, today it was more than that. I don't think
they win without Christian benfert sixty seven yard pick six
turning the game. You know, I think that throughout the
year it's been more than ever. There's been more to
it than just Josh Allen playing Superman. They lead the
NFL and rushing yards per game. Not quite as big
a big day today for the running game, but I
(18:21):
think they're starting to show that they can do whatever
the game calls for. Maybe not as extraordinary as far
as the passing numbers and the overall output but I
think as well equipped as any team, and especially when
you combine that with how wide open the AFC scenes
this year, I think you like Buffalo's chances as much
as anybody's.
Speaker 5 (18:38):
Angel I think you hit it on the head right there.
As much as I think people love Josh Allen. I mean,
I think this team really goes as far as James
James Cook goes. And if they can stay consistent to
run the ball, and I think what you just said
as far as being able to win every type of game,
I think it'll bowl well for them. Do you agree
with that that take?
Speaker 10 (18:58):
I do. And you know you love to whip the
ball around and when you win games that way during
the regular season, how fast can you score a bunch?
But you guys know, in the playoffs a lot of
times it's the ability to run the ball that plays.
He saw with Philadelphia last year. They rode Saquon Barkley
to the whole thing. So to have the ability to
go run for two hundred and fifty yards, that's what
the day calls for. Like sometimes in the playoffs. At
(19:21):
playoffs it does when you're going to get some creddy weather.
To have that in your Holster. I think that that's
something that has to have you feeling cautiously optimistic that
even though it's not been a completely clean trip through
this regular season, it might be equipped to make a run.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
We hope you have a clean trip back home.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
I know the weather can be sketchy, but safe travels, Joe,
and we hope to talk to you again in the future.
Thanks so much.
Speaker 10 (19:45):
Okay, guys, thankis.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
I have to go with Bill's top the Bengals thirty
nine to thirty four. You mentioned James Cook. Yeah, I
had a fustly fumble at one point thought he actually
was going to get into the end zone a few
plays prior then turns it over. But this is the
thing with Buffalo and their expectations. Like today, they had
an expectation that they could get in a track meet
(20:07):
with the Bengals and win, and they were behind with
about a quarter of the race to go, and then
down the stretch the game and here comes the bills
of the late kick and the kick I mean the energy,
not an actual kick in the game, but the turnover
by Joe Burrow that they were able to take to
the house as well. This is how Buffalo is going
to win games, and they're probably not going to get
(20:29):
a home game, So Loflo's going to have to play
in these shootouts on the road against these teams, and
Josh Allen's going to ultimately have to take over three
touchdown passes today had the big touchdown run, as you
heard Joe Davis say, his career long in a touchdown, Yeah,
forty yards.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
But this is the only way.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
That Buffalo has any chance to hold out hopes of
a Super Bowl because their defense right now just is
not up to the part.
Speaker 5 (20:56):
And this team, there's no way this team is making
a run. And I mean, obviously there is a way,
because it's we've seen crazier things. But this team does
not impress me at all. And then they impress me,
you know. I mean like it's one of those things
where it's like this thing is pedestrian and then all
of a sudden, yes, the Josh Sun thing happens, or
cook thing happens, or the tip interception happens that changes
(21:19):
the game. They're almost playing a style of football that
we saw with Kansas City last year, right in close
games or in gotta have in situations, they seem to
make a play and they're kind of falling into that
territory for me, in my opinion.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
This is the thing with the Buffalo Bills when you
look at it as a whole. To your point is,
Buffalo can't do this over a three or four game stretch.
And if you're gonna win a super Bowl, it's going
to be four games. But when you start taking it
piece by piece, right to lose fifty pounds, you got
to lose the first ten. So you got to win
the first one, then you got to win the next one,
(21:53):
then you got to win the next one. The Bills,
the playoffs started right now, just in the playoff picture
as it is, and on what the Chargers do tomorrow
night against the Eagles, but right now, the Bills would
face the winner of the AFC North, So there you
would have a Ravens or Steelers team. They can go
into those places and win. Heck, they just did it
(22:13):
a week ago in Pittsburgh, so they can do that.
Then they got a game against the Bills coming up,
or excuse me, against the Patriots coming up. The Bills do,
that could be a matchup. If New England gets the
number one overall seed and you play that game, I
don't think it would be a sure thing that New
England would win. So you're looking at it and saying, well,
if Josh Allen and James Cook and crew are firing
(22:36):
on all cylinders, they are going to be tough to beat.
It's the Kansas City Chiefs thing, right. Whenever Patrick Mahomes
is in a game, in a one game situation, you
think that he's going to win, I think we're going
to look at the Bills like that. But I agree
with you just overall, it's just not sustainable. So in
one of those games where we think they're going to
do it, they're not going to do it, right, Like,
that's what's going to happen. And so it happened with
(22:57):
Atlanta right in their contest. I mean, there's a game
against Carolina where I thought they weren't going to do
it and they just completely put it on the Panthers.
But to beat the Bengals today thirty nine to thirty
four in a game that you had to come back,
and I know, conditions were crazy. I thought conditions actually
would have favored the Bills today than they did Buffalo
than they did Cincinnati.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
And it really wasn't the case. It's crazy, you said it.
Speaker 5 (23:19):
They scored seventy three points in that weather today, which
is an it's an indictment on both defenses. You obviously
in those in those snowy, in those wet conditions. Yes, no,
I mean the offense has a little bit of a
little bit of an advantage because they know where they're going.
But speed's not an issue. Like if you're playing sound football,
(23:42):
sound defense, you're not going to give up thirty nine
points in that condition. And neither one of these teams
have a defense that puts fear in anybody's heart.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
Right now, he's carry roads. I'm dan Byer for a
look around the scores of the NFL in week fourteen
and so much more.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
She shut it to the big Apple.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Dreams. Yeah, we'll just hang out with friends for a
few days this year.
Speaker 11 (24:04):
And just be cold.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
You're going to be cold.
Speaker 12 (24:06):
I'm gonna be real cold, and it's gonna be so
nice here, Like why I think the weather's gonna be
like high seventies here.
Speaker 11 (24:12):
It is and over there it's just gonna be cold
and sound like.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Get you're gonna go check out the Rockefeller Tree. You're
gonna do that.
Speaker 12 (24:19):
Maybe maybe I've done done that, been there, done that.
I don't know.
Speaker 11 (24:23):
Right, Yeah, we're gonna We're gonna just have some Definitely
watch a.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
Show, watch a show. Fat earlier if the Packers took
over said.
Speaker 11 (24:30):
They didn't wrong, I'm not saying we won't, but it's not.
Speaker 12 (24:34):
We're kind of just being where we're kind of just
go yeah a little bit, but we're definitely gonna watch
a show.
Speaker 11 (24:40):
One hundred percent. We'll watch a show.
Speaker 12 (24:42):
Three games going right now on in the NFL, and
the final two minutes of the first half at Lambo
where the Packers lead the Bear seven zero, but Chicago
does have the ball, they're in the red zone and
they're gonna kick a field goal, so Green Bay likely
going to go in to have time up seven three.
There's a minute and fourteen to go, so we'll see
what happens there. The Rams with two rushing touchdowns. First
(25:03):
it was Blake Carum, then kiraen Williams. They lead the
Cardinals seventeen to ten, with also about a minute to
go in Arizona before halftime. We are in halftime in
Las Vegas where the Broncos lead the Raiders fourteen to seven.
What happened earlier today. Well, the Seahawks improved to ten
and three. They outscored the Falcons thirty seven to nine.
Seahawks offense came alive in the second half. The Bills
(25:24):
are now nine and four. They survived thirty nine to
thirty four against the Bengals. At one point, the Bills
had three touchdowns in less than five minutes of play clock.
Speaker 11 (25:32):
That happened in the fourth quarter. Joe Burrow did have
a pick six in this one.
Speaker 12 (25:35):
As you guys were talking about the Jags, the Jaguars
crews passed the Colts thirty six to nineteen. Jacksonville is
at the top of the AFC South right now and
Daniel Jones who was ruled out with an achilles injury
on his right leg after suffering a non contact injury.
Things are not looking good, but an MRI is going
to determine the extent of the injury.
Speaker 11 (25:53):
It's just not looking good.
Speaker 12 (25:55):
Steelers hung on twenty seven to twenty two against the Ravens.
They have sole possession of the asas North the Saints.
They had the upset over the Buccaneers twenty four to
twenty the final score there. The Dolphins roll past the
Jets thirty four to ten. New York did lose their
quarterback Tyrod Turrod Taylor, However, he goes by in the
first half, so Brady Cook had to come in to
be at quarterback. Four New York Vikings crushed the Commanders
(26:17):
thirty one zero. Jaden Daniels also exited this game with
a left elbow injury, but he was held out of precaution,
is what they said after the game.
Speaker 11 (26:26):
But tight end Zach Ertz took a.
Speaker 12 (26:27):
Really hard hit and was carted off the field with
a leg injury. That one doesn't look good. Yes, no,
it was no bueno. Titans defeated the Browns thirty one
to twenty nine. Shador Sanders through for three hundred and
sixty four yards three touchdowns. He had an interception. He
also had three carries for twenty nine yards and a touchdown,
while Cam Wod threw fo one hundred and seventeen yards,
two touchdowns and one interception. The Commanders, the Jets, the Falcons,
(26:50):
and the Browns have all been eliminated from playoff contention
when it comes to college football. I'm sure you've already
heard about the college football playoff that Alabama got in
Notre Dame and by you were not put in. Notre
Dame also announced that they have withdrawn their name from
consideration for a bowl game following the twenty twenty five season.
Iowa State and Kansas State also notified the Big Twelve.
Speaker 11 (27:12):
Conference that they are not going to be participating in
a bowl game.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Back to you, guys, I know this may be unsettling
for some And Kerry and I were just discussing earlier
where I get why fans would sell their tickets that
their people are willing to pay four or five times, Yeah,
the worth of them.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
I get why teams aren't playing in a bowl game
one thousand thousand percent, Like it's not what it once was.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
If you're Kansas State and you're Iowa State and you
have new coaches coming in, and it's just it's not
going to work out. The losses that some of these
athletic departments would take would take hits. Now Iowa State
and Kansas State getting fined by the Big Twelve because
that would have been revenue for the conference. But if
your Notre Dame, what motivation is there to play in
(27:56):
any contest after you were on the outside looking.
Speaker 5 (28:00):
The playoffs zero, nothing but injury. Let's also get hurt. Yeah, injury,
right exactly. And you know, like the old adage of
playing bowl games was you got to, you know, get
the younger guys ready, the guys that didn't play a lot.
You can throw some of them in there to get
some snaps, to get some looks at them. But fourteen,
(28:21):
like Notre Dame that I think deserves to be in
that hunt for national championship, to play in the Pop
Tarp Bowl against BYU wouldn't be that exciting.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Yeah, And I have no problem with Notre Dame not
being in the brackets, Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
And they it would have.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
First of all, it's not good TV when you already
know what the bracket is, so it's great to have
some drama. Like even when we have the selection show
for the basketball tournament in March, there's the teams that
are on the bubble. You're like, well, look they were
nineteen and sixteen. You know, they lost four straight in
conference play football. It's more difficult to do that. But like, ultimately,
(28:59):
the reason that I think that Notre Dame got in
is the reason why Notre Dame is held to such
a different standard. They want to be an independent. They
want their own freedom in scheduling. And honestly, they're two
great wins. And I understand it's a two pointed version
against Texas A and M, that's the difference, but you
didn't win that game. They got the two point conversion.
(29:21):
But your two greatest wins are against the USC and
PIT and theother Dame is not going to win it either.
Speaker 5 (29:25):
And when you think about it like that way, like
obviously you want to have a chance to compete at
the highest level and from the school and their complaint
one hundred percent warranted, I get it, but they're not
going to be any of those top teams.
Speaker 3 (29:36):
So for me, I'm like, I think that they could.
You think they gave a nice here.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
Yes, I actually think that the way in the style
that they play, it's just them not being in a
conference I really think hurts them they could have gotten.
Look at the advantage of and I know it didn't
work for BYU, but look at the advantage it did
for Alabama just to be playing yesterday, being able to
play in that conference champion game that they lost, and
(30:01):
the committee saying we're not going to hold it against them.
Ohio State loses by three to Indiana. They dropped one
seed line, they dropped a two in that contest, So
playing in that game, Notre Dame doesn't have that game
because guess what, they're not in a conference. Yeah, and
beat Miami, then you know it's it's I understand like
Miami and what they went through in the ACC is
(30:21):
was not as daunting. But when you have two schools
that end up playing each other, and Notre Dame plays
other ACC schools, right their schedules are a little bit
more similar. And if one beats another and you're to
the committee's point, right next to each other in the lines,
then you can make that switch.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
That's the thing you just hit on right there.
Speaker 5 (30:38):
If they weren't gonna put any other ACC school in,
I mean, do one a SEC and didn't get in.
Speaker 3 (30:43):
Yeah, if that's if that was the.
Speaker 5 (30:45):
Teams that you were playing, because that's Notre Dame had
to play a SEC this year. They already thought they
ACC was week so that had to be a damning
thing for Yeah, they have a scheduling deal with the conference.
They played five opponents each year and this year, guess
what they the five that they got weren't that great,
and look at Texas A and M.
Speaker 3 (31:03):
Take a look at their.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
SEC schedule and who they got to play and who
they didn't get to play, and they didn't get a
lot of top teams. Then they end up losing at
the end of Texas and so there's there's a reason
why teams get in and teams don't get I guess
what of Texas A and M doesn't get that two
point conversion, there may be on the outside looking in
and Notre Dame is in because of that win over
(31:25):
the Agen for sure. All right, we've got teams in
the end zone. The Cardinals Matthew Stafford to Puka Nakua
extra point is good twenty four to ten near the
end of the first half. And Jordan Love is just
throwing a touchdown pass as well for green Bay near
the end of the first half. Packers have taken a
fourteen to three lead on the Bears at lambeau Field.
(31:45):
So the Bears defense, Yeah, who's that bow Melton with
the touchdown reception for Green Bay? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
I hate that though.
Speaker 5 (31:53):
You cannot give up a testdown right before the half
with a minute left after you just cut into four
seven three that's that's.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
A big play. So Green Bay's extra point is good
and the Packers end up it is bow Melton forty
five yards out up fourteen to three. Just underway in
the second half are the Broncos and the Raiders. He
is carry Roads. I'm Dan Byer. Be sure to check
out the Fox Sports Radio YouTube channel. There's a ton
of great videos for many of our Fox Sports Radio shows.
To search Fox Sports Radio on YouTube and you'll see
(32:20):
a whole bunch of video highlights from our shows. And
be sure to subscribe to you always have instant access
toward Fox Sports Radio videos on YouTube. I do want
to make one more point, and James Madison and Tulane
end up getting in because they were ranked higher than
Duke was as a conference champion. So James Madison and
Tulane get in, and as the committee is trying to
(32:42):
sort this whole thing out, they have got a first
round that is so unappealing. Who does the name Madison
play Oregon? Yep, They're at Oregon. Tulane is at Ole
Miss in a game that we had already seen this year.
We have a rematch of Vocal Home in Alabama. How
do you think the sooners like that when they beat
(33:03):
Alabama again, guests, so you get to play them again, congratulations,
like Miami and Texas A and m is like the
really the only like game of the first round where
there's some uniqueness, Like you know, the SEC rematch with
oh You and Alabama is just not intriguing. And so
I think that is going to be something that the
(33:23):
committee will look at as well, because the NFL is
going up against those games on those weekends coming up,
so you're gonna have to separate yourself in some of
those matchups. And last year everything was new. Ohio State
was playing Tennessee. You had the Notre Dame Indiana game
on a Friday night. There was some excitement about that
those first round of games. I don't think that we're
(33:45):
getting that with these games.
Speaker 5 (33:46):
We have some excitement with it being the first time,
but the results weren't exciting.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
The games would blowout. Yeah, you're right, Yeah, you know.
Speaker 7 (33:52):
What I mean.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
So hopefully it's more competitive, but you know, we'll.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
See, we shall see. He is carry roads. I'm Dan Byer.
I look at fantasy numbers next year on end zone, right.
Speaker 7 (34:00):
Please, you're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio Rams said Cardinal.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
Here's another shotgun snack. Stafford wings one middle leaping cash.
Speaker 4 (34:10):
At the five.
Speaker 1 (34:10):
Pooka ris of tackle. He carries Will Juhson.
Speaker 7 (34:14):
He is the end zone, twenty eight yards touchdown.
Speaker 1 (34:18):
Rams.
Speaker 13 (34:19):
Stafford finds Pooka going into the halftime locker.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
Room once again. Here's Dan Beyer and carry Rhoades.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
Rams Radio Network with that highlight.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
It is twenty four to ten La over Arizona as
they play in the desert. They're at the half. Packers
and Bears at the half as well. Green Bay up
fourteen to three in that one. Well, the Broncos continue
to hold a fourteen to seven lead on the Raiders
early in the third quarter. In interesting Week fourteen with
some upsets, the survivor pool that many people will focus
(34:52):
on had carnage today as the Buccaneers were upset by
the Saints. Buccaneers came in about an eight point favorite,
give or take half a point here or there, and
the Browns actually were another popular pick. They were about
a four point favorite over the Titans, and the Titans
end up getting a thirty one to twenty nine wins,
something that we'll talk about at the top of the
(35:13):
hour and what should or Sanders did today, plus the
officiating in the Ravens Steelers game is something that's going
to need to be talked about. We'll do that after
Manzi Blanos gives us some fantasy hits from Week fourteen.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Fantasy hits.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
And missus, what's up mons? What you got?
Speaker 11 (35:35):
I got, I got people, I got people that are
on my teams for the hits for once typically I'm
telling you on my team for missus.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
We should rename this segment Manzi's Fantasy It is.
Speaker 11 (35:46):
It really is. Come on, let's be real. I'm sure
you guys want to know how my teams are doing.
Speaker 12 (35:50):
But in quarterback hits, the top quarterback of the day
so far Josh Allen about forty three points today. He
threw a two hundred and fifty one one yards three touchdowns.
He also had nine carries for seventy eight yards and
a touchdown. And your second top quarterback of the day
Shadoor Sanders with thirty eight points. He threw for three
(36:12):
hundred and sixty four yards three touchdowns. He did have
an interception, but he also had three carries for twenty.
Speaker 11 (36:17):
Nine yards and a touchdown.
Speaker 12 (36:18):
We'll do an honorable mention because only one other quarterback
hit the thirty point mark, and that was Joe Burrow.
He had thirty one points for two hundred and eighty
four yards, four touchdowns, two interceptions, one which was a.
Speaker 5 (36:28):
Pick, sixduted four interceptions.
Speaker 12 (36:31):
I think it depends on your league, but in mind, yes, yes,
very much South, Yes, absolutely. Running backs Tony Pollard with
twenty eight points today. He had twenty five carries, one
hundred and sixty one yards and two touchdowns. Also Travis
atn he brought he's the second best running back of
the day twenty points, twenty carries, seventy four yards and
(36:54):
two touchdowns.
Speaker 11 (36:55):
When it comes to the.
Speaker 12 (36:56):
Wide receivers, no surprise here, Jackson Smith and Jigba top
wide receiver of the day twenty eight points, seven catches,
ninety two yards and two touchdowns. And also not surprising,
even though he went out of the game for a
hot second thought he was gonna be ruled out t Higgins,
he came back in the game into which twenty seven points.
He had six catches for ninety two yards and two touchdowns.
(37:19):
Those are just some of your fantasy hits so far
for today.
Speaker 3 (37:22):
Should be noted.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
Devon eh Chan was on his way to having a
big game and then he left the rib injury, Dolphins
said coach Mike McDaniel did say after the game that
eight Chan could have returned in an emergency situation, but
because the game was so in hand, they didn't need
to turn to him.
Speaker 5 (37:40):
It has been said he could have come back, but
we're playing a jet.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
I sat it, not me got a former jet.
Speaker 11 (37:49):
I think Miami plays, Sorry Thursday?
Speaker 3 (37:52):
Did I play Thursday? It's the Buccaneers and Falcons coming
up this Thursday.
Speaker 11 (37:56):
Oh, I thought they had a short week and thought
that's what they were holding him for.
Speaker 2 (37:58):
Yeah, no, they play. I'm totally blanking on who they play.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
It's a Steelers there, it is, Dolphins play Sailors.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
Yes, Dolphin's going to make it to the playoffs. Dan,
what do you think you said? You said them about
it last week.
Speaker 2 (38:12):
There's a reason that, like Mike McDaniel wasn't fired, and
the players like him, and I think that the work
that he's done with Tua, and even if Tua's regressing like,
it's still like they were able to to maximize to
h to their you know, to the best that they could.
But also because of a guy like eight Chan. We
(38:34):
know what Kyle Shanahan's offenses are about. So Mike McDaniel
under the tutelage of that it's about the running game.
And if they have a one two punch with e
Chan and Olie Gordon, they could go. The turnaround is
going to be a lot quicker when you have something
like that in place, get a new gm, new way
of thinking. But I don't think that Mike McDaniel is
(38:56):
going to be fired at the end of the season.
Speaker 3 (38:57):
Yeah, you've been you've been on that.
Speaker 5 (38:59):
You said that they like them, and you had a
little inkling of you know, can this team keep winning?
Speaker 3 (39:05):
And what is this four in a row?
Speaker 12 (39:06):
Now?
Speaker 2 (39:08):
The wind streak? Let me just bring it up. There's
six and seven now, So the last four games for
the Dolphins, yes, five out of the last six, last
four wins against the Bills, Commanders, Saints, and Jets. With
that game against the Steelers and then they have the Bengals,
Buccaneers and then Patriots.
Speaker 5 (39:24):
At the won the table then, I mean the Patriots
may have that may have the division or first second place.
Speaker 2 (39:30):
In hand, you know, Yeah, the Buccaneers too, and they're
lost to the Saints today touched on this earlier. I
don't they didn't have Tristan Wurf's but they also made
some decisions. They had a fourth and three that it
looked like they converted and Chris Godwin caught the ball,
was hit and then it was Jarred loosen rolled incomplete.
But it was at the forty six yard line earlier
(39:51):
in the in the fourth quarter, and you could have
pinned the Saints back deep instead in the tie game,
they ended up going for it. Saints go drive the
football down the field, score a touchdown and never relinquished
the lead after that. It felt for a little while
that maybe the Buccaneers were playing with their food and
instead of sticking to the book, like we're gonna go
(40:11):
for it in all these fourth down situations, and the
Saints made some great third down conversions. Tyler Shook has
been great in the limited point that we've seen him today,
maybe more so with those legs, but again, big third
down conversions is the Saints get a big win in
Tampa and the Buccaneers have problems now. Bronco's facing a
third and three from the Raiders eight yard line and R. J.
(40:34):
Harvey is able to get the first down, so they'll
have a go to go situation. Rams on top of
the Cardinals twenty four to ten. Packers lead the Bears
at the half fourteen to three. What are we going
to do with these refs in the NFL? That's next
on Fox. They're under away of the second half in
Arizona and about to get underway in the second half
at Lambeau while the Raiders and a Bang dubb Gino
Smith just try to get it going, trailing the Broncos
(40:58):
by two scores nearing the end of the third quarter.
Speaker 3 (41:00):
Well, come in.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
It is end Zone Radio on Fox Sports Radio, hit
carry out at carry twenty five roads. You can find
me at dan Byer on Fox. So many big games
in Week fourteen, maybe none bigger than what we saw
in Baltimore as the Steelers get a twenty seven to
twenty two victory over the Ravens. And it's the probably
(41:21):
two or three plays from this game that we will
continue to talk about, but the one that stands out
is the Isaiah Likely touchdown that was wiped off the board.
In fact, DeAndre Hopkins made a tweet about it and
then had to take the tweet down. And what a
catch is in the National Football League, maybe wanting to
avoid the fine. I don't know if you avoid the
fine by deleting your tweet. But DeAndre Hopkins was saying
(41:45):
what a lot of us were saying, and that is
we still don't know what a catch is in the
National Football League, specifically a catch in the end zone
where it looked like Lively got not only two feet
down but maybe three steps, and the ball was then
knocked away and ruled in complete after replay. By the way,
there was a replay call, and the Baltimore Ravens have
(42:07):
every reason to be frustrated and mad over the loss
today because it does feel that it was taken from them.
Speaker 5 (42:13):
Yeah, that was an egregious call. And again what you
just said about DeAndre Hopkins, and I think that's the
sentiment from all of us, right, Like, what is a touchdown?
I mean, you can tell likely caught the ball and
kept it away from his body because the defender was
going to try to punch it out, yes, and actually
took two and if it wasn't three steps, it was
(42:33):
two and like three quarters of a step away. I
don't know how you even calculate that thing. But the
fact that he has the ball possession firmly in front
of him, took a couple of steps and not be
called a touchdown after a replay. That's the part that's
that's crazy because it's the replay they called it a
touchdown on the field, with everybody's eyes, we can see
(42:56):
that that was a touchdown, and then you have a
review come from New York and they overturned That part
is just it just it's baffling.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
I think to your point about holding the football out
as a safety precaution is so important here because we
think of completing the catch of tucking it and running it.
But if that's not the best option where you feel
someone's going to punch it out of your grasp or
you're leaving the ball vulnerable as you pull it in
(43:24):
exactly because it's also difficult when you're making the catch
that he makes. I don't know how you'd pull it
in with two hands, right, like the normal thing is
to do it with one hand. After the catch, and
in that scenario, he's trying to fight against what ended
up happening with the Steelers defender, and the Steelers defender
ultimately was able to jar it loose but it's just
(43:46):
it's it goes back to the officiating of the NFL
that we get week in, week out. I mean, we're
grading Cruise. You knew it when you were playing, you
know what. I want to say, how many years ago?
But back then, we'll just leave it at that, and
you knew what Cruise would call. What you could say,
this crew is advantageous to this, and that's not what
should be happening. I understand that there's a lot of
(44:07):
stuff that's subjective, but something like this, to have the
crew called a touchdown and then they have replay, say
hold on a second, Yeah, Like the NFL's got a
real problem on their hands if replay is overplaying, overruling
stuff like this.
Speaker 5 (44:21):
Yes, and like that's the thing, right Dan, Obviously there's
a human element to it, right where with our everybody
the own two eyes. If you look at that play,
it's a touchdown. And I think that's been the consensus
from everybody. I don't think I've seen any tweet that
said that wasn't a touchdown, even from Steelers fans, you
know what I mean, Like, I haven't seen that.
Speaker 3 (44:40):
So where's the decision making coming from?
Speaker 5 (44:43):
And I think that's the other part of it, right,
Like we can say these calls are being replayed and
changed or challenged by you eyes in the booth, but
us as normal observers of the game, who are these people?
And so I think that part of it as well
comes into play.
Speaker 2 (44:58):
The information that Terry McCauley gives on the on the
NBC broadcast, and I believe he's the rule.
Speaker 3 (45:05):
Analyst for Amazon as well.
Speaker 2 (45:08):
But I've heard recently Terry McCauley just basically coming out
saying like that call is wrong or that implemation of
the rule is wrong, and if if the replay official
is going to overturn this, then there's there's no checks
and balance of this. And it's like the point that
(45:30):
I make is it's you may have the best officials
on the field, you may have the great a crew,
but if Walt Coleman's crew back in New York is
for some reason thinking of something completely different, it overshadows
what you knew. There was a call earlier in the
Raven Steelers game as well where Rogers threw a pass
that was deflected and it's a jump ball, and replay
(45:51):
then rules that Rogers had possession of it and was
down on the ground at the time, like what are
we doing here? Like in those situations like this, and
I feel that the touchdown is way that was wiped away,
way more egregious than the replay call of the Rogers deflection.
And if you want to say it was down that semantics,
(46:12):
but you took a touchdown off the board for a
player making a play. They may say that the Steelers
player made the play. No Isaiah likely ended up making
the play, and to wipe it off the board just atrocious.
And if I'm a Ravens fan, I'd be I'd be
mad too, it is.
Speaker 5 (46:28):
Dan and just even the overarching story of what that
game was, it was a really good game, physical game,
very well played, two teams that are legitimately fighting for
the playoffs and to win the division. And you take
the ball out of their hands so to speak, I
mean not even so to speak, like they took the
ball out of their hands of a touchdown and a
game a game, go ahead drive by Lamar and a
(46:50):
big drive by.
Speaker 3 (46:51):
Them to get back in the game and take the
lead in that moment.
Speaker 5 (46:54):
And then you take away from the other aspect of
that as well, given Aaron Rodgers the ball with two
minutes left to see if he can go winning game.
Speaker 3 (47:00):
So like, does all of that encompassing this is bad?
Speaker 2 (47:03):
Yes, And there was a situation said that the Ravens
were faultless in their performance today, because that's that's not true.
It to me, it was almost fitting as well that
the game ended with Lamar Jackson getting sacked on a
hail mary. And it was and it was and it
wasn't like the normal hailmary where it's from sixty yards out.
It's it was a bit closer, but he was buying
(47:25):
time and was tackled from behind. And that also is
a problem with what the Ravens is. Lamar just hasn't
been the same this year. There's just not that burst
to elude that defender and at that point he ends
up getting tackled and time just runs out because the
Ravens don't have any more timeouts. But there was also
a scenario, Carrie, and I'm curious in your thoughts. I
(47:46):
think I know your thoughts. But the Ravens, after the
likely touchdown was called off the board, they're facing a
fourth and five from about the Steelers eight yard line.
Twenty seven twenty two, about three three minutes left, and
I'll give you the exact numbers, but they decided to
go for it in that situation. They went for it
(48:06):
on fourth and five. It wasn't a was not a
goal to go situation. It was a fourth and five
situation where they ended up going for it. They had
all three timeouts with two twenty eight left to go
in the contest. They threw a past to Mark Andrews,
who was in complete. Steelers took over and then had
to punt the ball back to Baltimore. Any consideration to
(48:27):
kick a field goal down five with two and a
half minutes and all three timeouts in that scenario one.
Speaker 5 (48:31):
Hundred and you already know how I think about this,
And I think the old school player and me the
old school coaches that are that I were around and
have experience with in these situations, would have.
Speaker 3 (48:46):
Kicked the field goal. You kicked the field goal.
Speaker 2 (48:48):
There.
Speaker 3 (48:49):
You have essentially four timeouts.
Speaker 5 (48:51):
You stick because you have the three and you have
the two minute one, and so even if you don't
stop them on the first first down, you still have
a chance in that scenario right to get the ball,
and you only need a field goal to win the game.
You have pretty much shut down the Steelers. They have
no running game, so you have confidence in stopping that.
Get Aaron Rodgers in the third and long situation and
(49:13):
take your chances. He hasn't been Aaron Rodgers of the
past here in these games, so you definitely take that chance.
And you have a situation now at the end of
the game where we saw Lamar trying to make a
play at the thirty some yard line to throw a
hill Marry up you can get the field goal for
the win, right But obviously this is all hindsight twenty twenty.
Even the fact that they went for Dan in that
situation and didn't get it, we both could see the
(49:35):
reason why with them being pent and you get, you know,
have a chance to get good field position, which they did.
If this is another thing you said it they weren't perfect.
They got the punt, they get the ball in the
return almost up the midfield with one time out left,
in like a minute and forty seconds left, they get
a holding penalty that takes them all the way back
to around eighteen to twenty yard line, and so just
(49:56):
so many things happen in that stretch, and we can
question and look back at it.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
But and the question you asked me, yes, I would
have taken it three, considering I know there would been
a yardage change on it. You mentioned the penalty that happened,
But I think you'd much rather just try to kick
a fifty five or fifty six yard field goal in
that scenario than maybe trying to throw one up for
grabs at the end of the game as Lamar ended up.
Ultimately they had a third to one of the Pittsburgh
(50:20):
thirty yard lines, so it wasn't even a fifty yard
fifty five yard there. It's more a forty eight forty
nine yard or if you will, And that would have
been the situation. And I just it's I understand the
numbers and the odds.
Speaker 3 (50:34):
The Cleveland Browns.
Speaker 2 (50:35):
Were in a scenario today where they ended up going
for two in a game where they were down fourteen
and didn't get it, and then we ultimately know the
other two point conversion, which we will talk about there
will be a whole shoud or conversation that we have
coming up on the show. But in the analytics and
how things play out, I just am so trying not
(50:56):
to sound like an old guy here, Dannarios, I just
don't think that the data. I'd rather sometimes I'd rather
remember history than to rely on what the data may
or may not say. I think it's easy to cop
out and say exactly that the numbers said we should
(51:18):
go for we had a sixty one percent chance. It
was a better chance to go for it than not.
I think that's I think that at times is a
is a cop out. Do I think Matt Lafleur should
kick a field goal against the Bucks in the NFC
Championship game five years ago? No, you go forward to
that scenario. But I just think that there are times
where you can't extend the game. You can force it,
you can allow your team to be in it. Nobody
(51:40):
wants to be thought of his chicken. They don't want
to be thought.
Speaker 3 (51:43):
Of as old.
Speaker 2 (51:43):
They want to be new and innovative and trust the numbers.
And I don't know if that always puts yourself in
the best chance to win. Dan, And you said it
like I feel that teams are chasing too many points.
I've told you that before.
Speaker 5 (51:54):
But also where is your feel for the game, Like
you can't just youth and that just doesn't that's not
going to win you Super Bowls. We saw a coach
in the Chargers, Staley, who was all analytical. He got
fired in what two years because he was doing nonsense,
but even hardball. In this game, they're down seventeen three,
(52:16):
they score, make it seventeen nine, they missed the extra point.
Speaker 3 (52:20):
They score again.
Speaker 5 (52:21):
Instead of going for two at that moment early in
the game, they kick touch your point because if you
do that, you're only you're down eight. You're not down
nine if you miss it. And so you're playing smart
and you're doing things by the feel and how things
are operating in the game. Then you get into a
situation where now you feel like you have to go
for points and go for touchdowns and all these weird situations.
(52:45):
Fourth and five isn't guaranteed, No fourth and one isn't guaranteed,
But you're not giving yourself the best opportunity to win
and be successful.
Speaker 3 (52:52):
Quick Cup did of the games that I just want
to make one more point.
Speaker 2 (52:55):
Then we're going to welcome in Adam Kaplan on the
other side, Rams Matthew Stafford another touchdown path to Kobe Parkinson.
So it's thirty one to ten Rams on top of
the Cardinals, Gino Smith out of the game, Kenny Pickett
is in for the Raiders. They were unable to convert
on a fourth and goal from about the five yard line,
so Denver takes over up twenty one to seven. Early
in the fourth quarter of that contest. Cole Comet has
(53:16):
just caught a pass down the sidelines for the Bears
early in the third quarter, but Chicago knocking.
Speaker 3 (53:21):
On the door.
Speaker 2 (53:21):
They're down to the Green Bay eleven, down fourteen to
three in that one. Nice play by Kayleb Williams and
comment on the catch to get the Bears into scoring territory.
Speaker 5 (53:30):
Yeah, I told us this game wasn't over yet, Dan,
and get a score here, get back in it, and
maybe we'll have an interesting game here between these two.
Speaker 2 (53:37):
Now, the point that I want to make on there's
a lot of controversy quickly, and I'm going to try
to do this succinctly because I think it makes the
most sense. We've seen teams get within nine by scoring
a touchdown in a game, so they would get within nine.
Extra point would make it a two point game. It
(53:59):
would make it a use me. The extra point would
make it an eight point game, where a two point
conversion would make it a seven point game. If people
are saying, like, why aren't you making it a one
score game at that point? And the reason is this,
This is the best way that I can say it
is you don't know it's not a three score game
(54:20):
until you miss the conversion. And the sooner that you
know that it's a three point possession game, the better,
And that is why you see teams doing this more.
The point I'm saying, Kerry is if you make it
an eight point game, it still isn't a two It
still isn't a one possession game, because we don't know
if you're going to get the two point conversion in
(54:42):
that scenario, and if you don't get the two point conversion,
guess what. Ultimately it was a three possession game. So
that's why you're seeing that more and more. Nick Sirianni
was put under the microscope by it. But for as
much as old school as we are, like I can
understand a team's decision in that situation to end up
(55:02):
going because you want to know sooner rather than later
that you're in a three possession game, and if you
score the touchdown, kick the extra point and are within
eight instead of going for two. You're not going to
find out if you're in a three possession game until
you actually make or miss the two point conversion.
Speaker 3 (55:17):
Yeah, No, you're right. I know you're right on it
with the thinking.
Speaker 5 (55:21):
But yeah, it's just I just in the league that
in the way that it is right now, they're all
just chasing so many ghost points for me, and so
it's just hard for me to fathom. And I'm sure
like you're you're you're in the same boat as me
as far as our eras and what football was for us,
and so for me to see this new like chase point, Yeah,
(55:43):
for me, it's hard for me.
Speaker 2 (55:44):
The Bears get in the end zone, Caleb Williams a
touchdown pass, all the media's the key is so right
now the Bears they're looking at it, and you never know.
Speaker 3 (55:53):
I through you.
Speaker 2 (55:54):
It'll be fourteen to nine if the call holds. Broncos
still up on the Raiders twenty one to seven.
Speaker 3 (55:59):
Do you go you dan right now?
Speaker 2 (56:01):
Or do you just kick next to point? No, you
go for two, go for two? Yeah, yep, make it
make it a three point game. And they are they
called it a touchdown. They are going for two. Rams
continue to lead the Cardinals thirty one to ten. The
Rams got the football first and ten will quick tell
you if Caleb Williams is able to convert this for
the Bears to make it a three point game. As
they do, go for the conversion. Common young guy is
in the backfield and manung guy is pushed in at
(56:24):
first second effort by the offensive line got him in,
So the Bears pull within three of Green Bay. Our
NFL insider Adam Kaplan will join us. Next we'll find
out who fell in or out of the circle of trust.
Plus what in the world do the Colts do now
without Daniel Jones. That's next year. On Fox Sports Radio,
Bears and Packers.
Speaker 14 (56:44):
A kiss motion play fake Caleb gunna roll, Caleb's got
trouble in his face, throws to the end zones a
kiss touchdown, touchdown.
Speaker 7 (56:53):
Bears one yard.
Speaker 14 (56:55):
Hello, but he's a kiss on a roll the mighty
man number one hit his face. Oh my goodness, nice
throw he had zip on it and zip keys to touchdown.
Speaker 1 (57:06):
Touch back to Dan Byer and carry Rhodes.
Speaker 2 (57:11):
I got some good news and some bad news for
the Bears fans. Bear's the radio network on the call.
The good news is is the two bunkin version was good,
which pulled you within three. The bad news is as
Green Bay is immediately answered Jordan Love a forty one
yard touchdown pass to Christian Watson. The extra point was good.
Packer's up twenty one to eleven. Now midway through the
(57:31):
third quarter, six minutes to go in Las Vegas, and
the Broncos lead the Raiders twenty one to seven in
a game where Gino Smith left because of injury. Denver
just working the clock again six minutes and counting up
fourteen and the Rams are up thirty one to ten
on the Cardinals. Joining us as he does every week
at this spot Adam Kaplan or Fox Sports Radio NFL
in Center. Also hear him on the Inside the Birds podcast.
(57:53):
I want to start in Baltimore. Does the NFL have
an officiating problem if we're overruling Isaiah likely toucheddown catches.
Speaker 15 (58:01):
Look that that was certainly surprising. I'm looking what happens
is because they're allowed to do this, and this has
been credit to the NFL actually doing this for years.
There will be there should be a pool report where
one of the beat writers, particularly for Baltimore will ask
the lead official, Hey, what happened on this play?
Speaker 4 (58:21):
It happens every week, no matter what the game.
Speaker 15 (58:24):
They have a pool report, and we should have that.
But look, the bottom line is the Ravens. They didn't
play well. I give them credit for coming back. They
pushed the Steelers. The Steelers had to feel like, oh boy,
we were dominating this game. We almost blew it kind
of did, but they held on for dear life and
and and what I call the six and six ball
(58:44):
there in Baltimore. Nobody wants to win that division. Whoever
wins it will get in obviously, but no one else
is going to get in for the playoffs in that division.
That that the Cincinnati by the way, that that bubble.
Speaker 4 (58:55):
Was burst today.
Speaker 2 (58:56):
Yeah, so I do want to say this, the pool
report is out, Adam.
Speaker 4 (59:00):
To your pain, I haven't got it yet.
Speaker 2 (59:02):
Yeah. The question was what went into the decision to
reverse the touchdown. The NFL Vice President of Instant Replay
Mark Butterworth and referee Alex Moore were as part of
the questioning. Butterworth said, quote, the ruling on the field
was a touchdown. We quickly looked at the play. The
receiver controlled the ball, in the air, had his right
(59:23):
foot down, then his left foot. The control is the
first aspect of the catch. The second aspect is two
feet or a body part in bounds, which he did have.
Then the third step is an act common to the game,
and therefore he could get the third foot down. Before
he could get the third foot down, the ball was
ripped out. Therefore it was an ankle pass.
Speaker 4 (59:42):
That's that you know exactly to carry that, that's got
to be I'm glad you brought that up, because I
not I had not gotten it yet.
Speaker 15 (59:49):
Yeah I had, you know, I'm on the Ravens list,
but I actually I have not check my email.
Speaker 4 (59:53):
So I'm glad you have that. So that's unbelievable. I mean,
they're basically saying it's a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (59:58):
Yeah, it's God.
Speaker 15 (01:00:00):
It's I'm you know, I I've kind of because I
know the rules pretty well. I've you know, I'll defend
the officials when they need it. When I think the
fans of the media doesn't know what they're talking about.
I I have a hard time with that one.
Speaker 4 (01:00:13):
I really do.
Speaker 15 (01:00:14):
I have no saying I don't got it root for teams,
I don't care who are games, but I'm.
Speaker 4 (01:00:18):
Appalled, to be honest with you, because if it's.
Speaker 15 (01:00:21):
That explanation, now what what I And let me just
explain a couple of things here before we move on
to the next game. Dan, this is where the Competition
Committee has to take a look at this. This is
this is where it goes in their purview. They're going
to look at this play. Trust me that this is
going to be on it because this should not be happening.
(01:00:42):
That's a catch, like you know, like it's the league.
Dan will say, does it plants the eye test? Does
it look like a catch?
Speaker 7 (01:00:49):
It?
Speaker 15 (01:00:49):
When we have the catch no catch rule, which is
a total joke that Leak admitted it. They want to
take that away. They want to take it away where
there's any guesswork. We've been doing really well with it,
by the way, but this is the worst thing that
I've seen in a long time.
Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
My My issue is that it was called a touchdown
on the field, and I think that that was that
was good enough to that point, like this isn't I
don't know how many Steeler fans are like, uhh, not
a catch?
Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
No right right right right.
Speaker 4 (01:01:18):
To our traffic.
Speaker 15 (01:01:18):
By the way, it's got to be indisputable, visible Yeah,
visible evidence, it's not come on.
Speaker 3 (01:01:23):
So Repledge just overstepped their bounds in mind and bad.
Speaker 15 (01:01:25):
I agree, man, this has got to be cleaned up.
This is this is a shame. But the Ravens didn't
play well. Lamar is clearly not right with the end.
He's got a hamstring as time ankle.
Speaker 4 (01:01:37):
Uh.
Speaker 15 (01:01:37):
I give him credit for fighting back, but that's a
tough one.
Speaker 5 (01:01:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's move on. But we could talk
about that all day because it's it is a lot.
I thought it was egregious as well. But uh, let's
let's move on to that Bengals and Bills game.
Speaker 3 (01:01:47):
You just said it.
Speaker 5 (01:01:48):
The Bengals have been eliminated with with with this game,
but came out looked like they were going to run
away with this game. And then you know, Josh Allen
becomes Josh Allen then pulls the Bills out of out
of the grass with the beat and wins the game.
But I was telling Dan, I was telling Dan Adam,
I just don't believe in the Bills. I know they're
pulling these out, but but but what is this team
(01:02:10):
moving forward and what and can they make a run
down the stretch.
Speaker 15 (01:02:13):
Well, look, it's a wide open This is the most
wide open I can remember in decades. I mean, you
could say the Rams are the best team, and I
wouldn't argue with you, but they're not dominant in any way,
shape or form. They're just a really fishing team, well coached,
don't have a lot of injuries. The Bills have a
number of injuries on defense. It showed today Burrow though
he's turned it over, but I mean he did what
(01:02:34):
he could to help them. They can't run the ball,
their defense is bad. They're but getting back to the Bills. Well,
James Cooks he didn't score today, but I'll tell you
what he's been. It's been a nice story and a
lot of people around the league did not think he
could be lead back because he's not as big physically
as his older brother Dalvin. And we've seen this with
(01:02:55):
a number of backs Kyen Williams. You could go they're
like five or six feet backs in the NFL who
are not the physical prototype.
Speaker 4 (01:03:02):
Cook is one of them.
Speaker 15 (01:03:03):
He's been a great story and Josh Allen when it
doesn't look good, he seems to break your back. And
their passing game has been disappointing the season, yep. But
Alan he did what he had today and it was impressive.
You know, it's kind of funny because people are making
a big deal out of.
Speaker 4 (01:03:15):
The weather, and I know there were some weather problems.
Speaker 15 (01:03:17):
But to me, if there's not bad win and the
win from what I understand, wasn't bad, you could score
and you saw that today.
Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
Yeah, seventy three points. Eda Kaplan joining us here find
him on exit Kaplin NFL. We know he's going to
be the starter for the rest of the year if
he's healthy. But how far does today's performance go for
Shador Sanders in securing the job for next year.
Speaker 4 (01:03:36):
He did a nice job.
Speaker 15 (01:03:37):
I'll tell you what that touchdown to Harold Fannon if
you have not seen it, he got popped and that
was it his anticipation throw. See, this is the part
about Sanders game that not enough people talk about.
Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
He's a dropback passer.
Speaker 15 (01:03:49):
He's not a runner at all. He could scramble. He's
a pocket passer and he makes some really good throws.
I understand the Titans defense is bad, that's not the point.
You got to make throws no matter who you're playing against.
And he gave a shot to win there. I mean,
their defense, shockingly as good as it's been, had its problems,
but he gave them a chance to pull the game out.
Speaker 4 (01:04:08):
I don't know what that play was. I don't know
what Stefanska and his staff. I was like, what are
you doing? I can't understand it's a two point play.
But I just didn't understand that play at all.
Speaker 5 (01:04:19):
To be honest with you, No, that play was terrible.
But I want to talk about this game that's going
on right now. Actually Green Bay in Chicago, Chicago just
kicked the field goal to cut it to seven, and
they're right there. They have a chance to kind of
steal this game. Are you surprised that they're in this
game right now as it stands, or were you expecting
a tight game today?
Speaker 1 (01:04:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 15 (01:04:37):
Look, Caleb, I'm not giving credit for bringing him back
on the touchdown, but you know he has accuracy issues.
I know it's very cold in Green Bay today, but yeah,
the problem is they cannot run the ball like they
like to with Manungai in swift and Kayla Williams scrambling
and I know romanduon say he's not playing, but that's
palsy comparison for their inability to run the football. When
they can't run the football, well, it's really hard for
(01:04:59):
them to win. And that's really been the story today
is their inability to run the football where they were unbelievable.
They two hundred yard runners against Philly by the middle
of the third quarter last week. It's a big reason
why they've been such a shocker this season.
Speaker 4 (01:05:14):
At nine to three.
Speaker 2 (01:05:16):
Adam Kaplan joining us here on Fox Sports Radio, I've
I don't know what's happened to the Indianapolis Colts. Well,
I know what's happened to the Indianapolis Colts, oh that way,
but it's really really bad, and it seems like its
stems honestly from when they made the trade of the deadline,
when a lot of people thought, wow, two first round
(01:05:36):
picks for Sauce Gardner Man, the Colts are going for it.
Now there's not even to guarantee if this injury to
Daniel Jones is as significant that he would be ready
for twenty twenty six.
Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
So what is a team like the Colts do in
this spot? Adam, Well, we.
Speaker 4 (01:05:51):
Actually talked about this before.
Speaker 15 (01:05:53):
We remember they don't have a first round pick, and
what you're going to have to do because they wanted
they were going to do all they could to bring
Jones back. Effect would have bet the house if they
couldn't reach an agreementy would have used the franchise tag. Well,
that's out the door now. Riley Leonard's clearly not the answer.
Who is who is now the backup because Richardson had
the ubertal fracture into reserve.
Speaker 4 (01:06:14):
So they'll have to.
Speaker 15 (01:06:16):
Look when we'll talk more about this once all the
underclassmen declare. Once we get that list, that the underclassman
who decided that they're going to declare the early word.
By the way, it's not a deep quarterback group. It's
not great, but you're always going to find value somewhere.
Chris Ballard, he's been this league a long time as
a scout of personnel director. He's gonna have to do
(01:06:36):
his work because he's not gonna have a first round
pick unless he trades some some players. He gets a
first round pick, by the way, dan uh and then
you've got I'm going to give you a name. By
the way, he's going to be very hot in free agency,
and that's Mac Jones. I've talked to multiple teams are
looking for a quarterback. I believe Mac Jones is going
to be this year's Daniel Jones. He's going to be
that guy next year. I'm telling you, yeah, really good.
(01:06:56):
He's his tape is really good. I've told this he
might be. But to go back to the Chris Ballard
portion of this, if he's a GM, yes, that's that's
my question. Like considering like the Sauce Gardner trure. I
just I don't believe trading two first round.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
Picks for a cornerback was going to put the Colts
into Like I felt like he was almost cashing in
all these good vibes and it feels like from that
point on it is it's completely just turned around. I
mean then they went to Luck. Yeah, just it's bad now.
I mean Anthony Richardson would still be under contract next year.
(01:07:35):
I mean, you know, as an option as well. I
just don't know, because they're probably going to miss the
playoffs if Riley Leonard.
Speaker 15 (01:07:41):
Well, here's the thing, and they lose the tiebreaker against
the Chiefs. If they if they tie, Chiefs beat them.
Of course, that crazy game where the Chiefs came back
from way way back in Kansas City so yeah, it
just seems it just seems like it's gonna be hard
from the win and defares Bucker with his neck injury,
they don't know if he'll being about be able to
cut back. That's that's a shame. Yeah, I feel bad
(01:08:02):
for them now. At least they'll have Sauce Gardner for
many years to come. They've got Shavari's Ward and Gardner
a Gardner and that that their quarnerback group is under
contract for a while.
Speaker 4 (01:08:12):
But yeah, it's it's a shame.
Speaker 15 (01:08:14):
It just they've had bad luck and Jonathan Taylor's up
is as effective oddly since this has happened. Yeah, their
season is so and look it's probable for torn achilles
for Jones.
Speaker 2 (01:08:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 15 (01:08:25):
So and when Shane Stucket said don't look good, I
know what that means. So you don't have to fill
me in on that one. I know what I know
when the coach says that without injury, they have to
wait till the test and comes back. But yeah, it's
a shame. Daniel Jones, man, he's had this crazy career.
Speaker 4 (01:08:40):
It's a shame.
Speaker 5 (01:08:40):
Well Adam and Dan, I I it all goes downhill
when you do a deal with the Jets. So just
so you know, stay clear of New York.
Speaker 2 (01:08:49):
Any other team out there trying to win. They tried
to wear different uniforms today so people wouldn't recognize.
Speaker 3 (01:08:54):
We recognize it.
Speaker 4 (01:08:56):
Jeez, the same old Jets.
Speaker 15 (01:08:58):
Very good many little drum bee for car.
Speaker 4 (01:09:02):
That's very funny. The way he said it was hilarious.
Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
Adam Love talking to you. I can't to do it.
In week fifteen, we will talking about an Okay, I
got facts, NFL Insider. Let's go to the news desk,
Mansy Belanos. Maybe you can see Kerry Rhodes do a
stand up when you're in New York City.
Speaker 12 (01:09:19):
Clearly, clearly we're missing something. You and Rob Parker can
get together.
Speaker 3 (01:09:23):
Oh no, I don't do it, big dumb and dumber
on the stage.
Speaker 12 (01:09:27):
And it could be funny, and it could be funny,
all right. Jordan Love just went for another deep throw,
but this one Romeo Dobs coundnot catch. I mean, Christian
Watson has literally caught anything that Jordan Love has thrown
at him. So far, he has four catches, eighty nine
yards and two touchdowns. The Packers right now do lead
the Bears twenty one to fourteen late in the third quarter,
(01:09:48):
and Green Bay does have the ball, but they may
be punting it out, punting it back to Chicago in
a second. The Broncos extended their lead with the field goals,
so they're on top of the Raiders twenty four to seven,
less than four minutes to go in this one. And
when it comes to the Rams on the Cardinal as well,
it's been all Rams so far. Thirty one zero is
a score with about one minute to go in the
third quarter. Matthew Stafford is twenty one of thirty for
(01:10:11):
two hundred and fifty yards and two touchdowns. Puku Nakua
has six catches for one hundred and thirty six yards
and a touchdown. Earlier today, it was the Seahawks who
outscored the Falcons thirty seven to nine. Rashid Shahid returned
the second half kickoff one hundred yards for a touchdown.
Seattle's defense came up with three turnovers in this one,
and it was a what six to six score at
(01:10:31):
the half? Dan, Yep, it was sixty six, right, yeah. Look,
it was like not the game you would think in
the first half, and then in the second half Seattle
was like oh, okay, okay, never.
Speaker 11 (01:10:38):
Mind, We're ready. We're ready. Bills are nine and four.
Speaker 12 (01:10:41):
They survived against the Bengals thirty three to thirty four
in a snowstorm. The Jaguars are now at the top
of the AFC South after beating the Colts thirty six
to nineteen. Daniel Jones was ruled out with an achilles
injury and things do not look good, but an MRI
will confirm the situation for the Colts. The Steelers hung out,
hung on against the Ravens twenty seven to twenty two.
They have pazzole. They have sole possession of the AFC North.
(01:11:05):
Dolphins roll past the Jets thirty four to ten, so
Miami is still alive in the playoffs, which is what's crazy.
The Saints had the upset win of the day over
the Buccaneers, coming out on top in Tampa Bay on
a rainy day. Twenty four to twenty was the final
score there. Vikings crushed the Commanders thirty one to ten.
Jaden Daniels was taking out with the left elbow injury,
but it was out of precaution, while tight end zach
(01:11:26):
Ertz was carded off with a leg injury and it's
not expected to be a good situation. Titans defeated the
Browns thirty one to twenty nine. Miles Garrett did get
another sack, but he has not broken the record which
everyone is waiting for. Commanders, Jets, Falcons, and Browns have
been eliminated from playoff contention.
Speaker 11 (01:11:43):
That is official when it comes to the NBA.
Speaker 12 (01:11:46):
Lebron James is going to be active for today's Lakers
game against the seventy six Ers that tips off at
seven thirty Eastern time. The Knicks already defeated the Magic
one O six to one hundred before Orlando Franz Wagner
had a nasty fall.
Speaker 11 (01:11:58):
Did you see that his leg buff cool, the knee buckled.
It wasn't good.
Speaker 12 (01:12:01):
Left in the first quarter, and the Celtics defeated the
Raptors one twenty one to one.
Speaker 11 (01:12:05):
Thirteen.
Speaker 12 (01:12:06):
Nuggets right now are on top of the Hornets on
the road thirty nine to thirty four.
Speaker 4 (01:12:10):
Back to you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:12:12):
She is Monty Belangials. Find her at Monty Blas. The
Raiders just got into the end zone. I'm checking escoor
out Dan Kenny Pickett to Shdrick Jackson. It's Jackson's second
game that he's appeared in this year, and CBS didn't
have a graphic for him. No, they didn't have his name.
It was they had They had his head shot and
then it said touchdown and usually it pops up and
(01:12:34):
would say like Rock Bowers, Ashton Genty, and it just
stayed touchdown. That's all it was. But Shdrick Jackson getting
in his first season in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (01:12:43):
It's cool.
Speaker 2 (01:12:43):
Yes, Matthew Stafford has just throwing another touchdown past.
Speaker 3 (01:12:47):
It's a pooka nikua.
Speaker 2 (01:12:49):
So it's all Rams today, a double move put on
the rookie Will Johnson. I'll make those mistakes now. Then
then you know, further on in your career you learn
not to bite. But it's all Rams. Thirty seven to
ten with the extra point coming up. The extra point
was good with the Raiders, So now within ten of
Denver in that contest, he is carry Rhoads. I'm dan Byer.
Monzie's not going anywhere. She's got to look at some
(01:13:11):
fantasy numbers for us. That's next tier.
Speaker 1 (01:13:13):
On end Zone Radio, Ram said, Cardinals at the five
pitch pooka game.
Speaker 10 (01:13:21):
On one play a thirty.
Speaker 2 (01:13:23):
One yard strikes Nkua with a new career high in touchdowns.
Speaker 1 (01:13:30):
Back to Dan Byer and Carry Rhodes.
Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
Rams Radio Network on the Highlight. Rams got the football
again after a Carolina punts. It's been all Rams today,
ramming it up in Glendale thirty eight to ten. Matthew
Savag's actually coming back out onto the field, Carry Roads.
Yeahsume get him out the game. And I want to know,
Danny you know this song? Are you serious?
Speaker 3 (01:13:52):
You better know this song?
Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
George Michael's my favorite artist, like, like I honestly thought
Mary played it for me.
Speaker 3 (01:13:59):
To be honestly, you guys are like in your own world.
Speaker 2 (01:14:03):
Honestly, here nobody cares about me, Like seriously, Chris Purfett earlier.
Speaker 3 (01:14:07):
I'm like, right, Chris, wrong, Dan, you know not?
Speaker 7 (01:14:10):
You know?
Speaker 3 (01:14:13):
Thank you very much. How am I supposed to know that?
Speaker 4 (01:14:15):
I didn't know?
Speaker 3 (01:14:16):
You didn't know that?
Speaker 4 (01:14:17):
Sorry?
Speaker 5 (01:14:18):
Wait, how are you going into this diatribe about nobody
caring about you a liking you?
Speaker 4 (01:14:21):
Right now?
Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
Because I honestly thought that Mary was playing it for me, like, oh,
danill liked this song? Then you guys take ownership of it,
like yeah, Dan, you know this ownership?
Speaker 3 (01:14:33):
But I knows and do you know the song?
Speaker 5 (01:14:35):
I don't know about your favorite artist, George Michael.
Speaker 3 (01:14:38):
I know that, well, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:14:41):
We are not George Michael.
Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
Rams have scored again.
Speaker 1 (01:14:45):
All right, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:14:46):
Let's how about we talk about my music instead of
Carrie Rhodes's singles.
Speaker 3 (01:14:49):
That's why I brought it up for you to see.
If you know it's you know, it's look in My Goodness.
He got really upset about that. I was trying to
bring him in about a nice thing.
Speaker 5 (01:15:00):
I knew he probably knew the song, but the fact
you're talking about your favorite artist.
Speaker 2 (01:15:03):
Have you ever heard of a team called the Louisville Cardinals?
Have ever heard of them? Have I heard of them?
Speaker 3 (01:15:10):
Yeah? See, that would be the equivalent. That is not
the equivalent. You know, I went to school there. Why
would that be the equivalent?
Speaker 5 (01:15:15):
How would And I'm just saying like that doesn't make
any sense. You've been sensitive on that one, Dan, that
was that was it was a double hit.
Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
It was Mary didn't know Carrie's asking me. Chris ca Yeah,
that is true.
Speaker 3 (01:15:32):
That's insane.
Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
Chris Prefett gave me the stiff arm heisman earlier in
the show, So but I appreciate Manzi sticking up for me.
Danow what did you want to say about last What
did you want to say for the last Christmas? I
thought you said you said you asked me if I
knew the song? When I figured then you had a point.
Speaker 3 (01:15:48):
That was no point.
Speaker 5 (01:15:49):
I just wanted to I was trying to bridge the gap,
to make our relationship tighter, but you just push it wider.
Speaker 2 (01:15:54):
Dan, There's no chasm now. It may only seem like
three feet, but it might as well be three mile
right now between me.
Speaker 3 (01:16:02):
There you go. That was that was That was intense.
I can't believe you went that route.
Speaker 11 (01:16:08):
For for you, for me or Carrie for you?
Speaker 2 (01:16:11):
No, no, for you?
Speaker 16 (01:16:12):
Dan?
Speaker 3 (01:16:13):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:16:13):
Is that because you got a fake f instanding next
to you? That's fakes there by the way, all right, yes,
because I actually put her in the same group as yours,
like I had no ideaactly.
Speaker 3 (01:16:27):
I know who Dan's favorite band is together? Huh?
Speaker 11 (01:16:31):
How long have you had done a show together?
Speaker 3 (01:16:33):
A couple of Yeah, a couple of years.
Speaker 5 (01:16:34):
I've known one here and wham or George Michael's never
coming up?
Speaker 3 (01:16:39):
Fake friend.
Speaker 2 (01:16:40):
Here's the crazy thing is I know that it has what.
I'm not even offended like by that.
Speaker 3 (01:16:47):
You just showed it. Let's go to Mazi for some
hits in.
Speaker 7 (01:16:50):
The fantasy.
Speaker 12 (01:16:54):
And missus So funny Kram got in the end zone again.
I think you were mentioning that Dan Rams are just
killing it.
Speaker 2 (01:17:05):
Cardinals defenders were closer to Blake Coorum than me and
carry off right now and ran like seventy He really.
Speaker 12 (01:17:12):
Did it, wasn't you guys said, Oh, Matthew Stafford is
back in the game.
Speaker 11 (01:17:16):
And then Blake Korum literally just got in the end.
Speaker 3 (01:17:18):
Z out he did.
Speaker 11 (01:17:18):
That's how quickly it happened. I wish Matthew Stafford would
have thrown another touchdout it. That's neither here nor there.
Speaker 12 (01:17:25):
Some fantasy misses today, guys. This one was due to injury.
But if you put Jade and Daniels when you heard
that he was back. Jade and Daniels only ended with
two points today after being removed because of a left
elbow injury against seventy eight yards in an interception.
Speaker 11 (01:17:40):
But again he was injured. But some of the other
quarterbacks that did play and did not deliver.
Speaker 12 (01:17:44):
Baker Mayfield did not have a very great game today
at home while it was raining, twelve points. He threw
for one hundred and twenty two yards one touchdown. He
did have six carries for forty two yards. But that's
what Baker Mayfield deal did. They're a mess, a little bit,
a little bit, and to a talk of my law,
eleven points despite their win today, one hundred and twenty
seven yards and a touchdown. When it comes to the
(01:18:05):
wide receivers, yeah, the Vikings won, but.
Speaker 11 (01:18:08):
Justin Jefferson did not.
Speaker 12 (01:18:09):
He ended with three points, only two catches for eleven
yards for Justin Jefferson. Speaking of the Bucks, Emecha Abuka
just three points today, two catches for fifteen yards. It
was raining in Tampa Bay and Chris Lave also struggled
today for the Saints six points, three catches for fifty yards.
When it came to the running backs, Aaron Jones seven points,
just fourteen carries for seventy six yards Ravens loss.
Speaker 11 (01:18:32):
Derek Henry had ten points, twenty five.
Speaker 12 (01:18:34):
Carries for just ninety four yards, and Jonathan Taylor, who
started out so hot and has cooled off the last
couple of weeks, had a good start and then Daniel
Jones exits the game. So Jonathan Taylor ends with eleven points,
twenty one carries, seventy one yards, and a touchdown. These
are just some of the fantasy misses.
Speaker 11 (01:18:53):
Of the day.
Speaker 2 (01:18:54):
Those three touchdown Jonathan Taylor games are a distant distint.
Speaker 11 (01:18:58):
They really really.
Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
Are a long time ago, yeah, far.
Speaker 12 (01:19:02):
Away, unfortunate and now with their situation even more yes.
Speaker 2 (01:19:06):
Yeah, tough time for the Colts right now in Jacksonville.
By the way, it's just beating everybody. It's what the
Jaguars are doing, just like we all thought, yes, yes, right.
The Garry still likes the Texans to win that division.
Speaker 15 (01:19:18):
Tho.
Speaker 2 (01:19:18):
They got a big one tonight with the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (01:19:19):
That's correct, they're gonna win.
Speaker 5 (01:19:20):
They're gonna win tonight against the Chiefs, and they're gonna
be tied for first place in that division.
Speaker 3 (01:19:24):
And yeah, they're gonna win that division.
Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
The Texans are a team of the great defense, and
the Chiefs obviously right now not as strong as they
would have hoped on The offensive line could be down
three guys tonight that for that showdown. So Texans sitting
there at seven and five, Chiefs at six and six,
Jaguars nine and four, showed to keep pace they just
have to.
Speaker 3 (01:19:46):
They'd be one game back. But still Texans came back.
Speaker 2 (01:19:49):
In that game against the Jaguars earlier this season, so
that may be one that the Jaguars end up ruining.
All Right, here, we're the Bears are third and eight
at the Green Bay fifteen and they've just thrown a
wide receiver screen to lose their burden. He gets the
first down, so it's going to be first in goal
with nine to twenty five and counting. Bears down seven
to the Packers. Caleb Williams one hundred and twenty four
yards in a touchdown so far. But it's that running
game for Chicago that's so dangerous. Kerry, Yeah, no, I
(01:20:12):
getting back in here. This is a game that, like
I said, we should pay attention to. This game wasn't
nover in Chicago's they're fighting. They're fighting and the first
and goal situation just seconds remaining, Raiders have the football
down ten to the Broncos. There may be other reasons
why people care about that game, depending on what happens,
but we saw stat that when Schdriick Jackson scored, he
was the first player over the age of twenty four
(01:20:33):
to score a touchdown for the Raiders this season, right,
And I don't know if that was trying to prove
that the Raiders are young or is just a really
sad stat Bears incomplete on first and goal will tell
you if they cash in for the touchdown next he's
carry I'm Dan. It's end Zone Radio on Fox Sports Radio.
All right, now, it's Jordan Love's turn. A twenty one
all ballgame at Lambeau. Jordan Love is just hitting Jayden
(01:20:55):
Red across the middle, a Red takes the ball into
Bears tarots and again twenty one all tie between these
NFC North rivals. Welcome in.
Speaker 3 (01:21:05):
It is end Zone Radio.
Speaker 2 (01:21:07):
The Rams are up on the Cardinals forty five to seventeen.
Michael Wilson making a little bit closer as he was
able to catch his second touchdown pass of the game,
but the Rams just working on clock. Matthew Stafford no
longer in the game. Jimmy Garoppolo is in and there's
still eleven minutes to go in this contest. And then
Pete Carroll with the decision, the decision. With five seconds
(01:21:32):
left in down ten, Kerry kicks a forty six yard
field goal to lose by seven.
Speaker 3 (01:21:39):
They were close man, they're really closing that game.
Speaker 2 (01:21:42):
Do you think, being in Las Vegas, that Pete Carroll
knew what that spread may have been.
Speaker 3 (01:21:48):
There's no way he does not know what the spread
it is.
Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
I every college coach, I knows because their boosters will
bet on their school, and you gotta take care of
the boosters. Like I get that. I thought I understand
if they would have kicked with ten seconds left, then
you say make the field goal. Onside kick, you throw
up a Hail Mary. There was no reason to kick
a field goal with five seconds left, and Daniel Carlson
(01:22:13):
makes it and makes some people very happy. I honestly,
I assume, and I hadn't heard the crowd. I'm sure
it was tons of Broncos backers, and I'm sure that
to Pete Carroll just wanted to stick it to all
the Broncos fans that were probably in attendance.
Speaker 5 (01:22:27):
It's crazy, like the state of sports and where we
live now, and how like these games are over and
the fact that we're still watching to make sure that
these teams don't.
Speaker 3 (01:22:39):
Cover or cover it. It keeps people in gags.
Speaker 5 (01:22:43):
But the fact that Pete Carroll kicked that with no
consequence for his team or as players.
Speaker 3 (01:22:49):
That's a slap in the face. In my opinion, I
really don't like it.
Speaker 5 (01:22:52):
I laugh now because it is kind of it's a
little funny, it's a little ironic, but it's not. I mean,
if you're going to do anything, go for a touchdown?
Why kick a field goal there?
Speaker 2 (01:23:01):
And that's the joy because then you can't ruin the
bets of all the Broncos fans that showed up today.
That's gotta be like that would be if I was
on family feud. That would be my number one answer
right there. If Steve Harvey was here, and he's been
here in these studios, if he were to say, top
four answers on the board, why Pete Carroll kicked a
(01:23:21):
field goal with five seconds left? I would be like,
this carry. I'd be like to rub it in on
the Broncos betters who had then recovering, and then it.
Speaker 3 (01:23:30):
Would be dinging.
Speaker 2 (01:23:30):
I'd be like, we'd like to play yes, there we go,
let me have the other answers. That has got to
be the reason, because it wasn't to extend the game. No, No,
Pete Carroll saying we're leaving here with something yes, and
you're gonna leave your money here. If you bet on
the Broncos, too bad, so sad exactly. If you bet
on the Packers, well there's hope tied up at twenty one,
(01:23:51):
a third and one, but Josh Jacobs was able to
break a tackle and get into the secondary and now
a third and one run and it turns it into
a first and goal opportunity for Green Bay. The Bears
looked like they had him stop for a negative yardage carry,
but Jacob's just too physical on the outside.
Speaker 3 (01:24:10):
Yeah, you got to make this play. The Bears, they
played it well.
Speaker 5 (01:24:12):
The defensive band actually kept containing the corner was scared,
didn't put his.
Speaker 3 (01:24:19):
That's not good tape.
Speaker 5 (01:24:20):
So when you get the right play, call the rights
game from a defensive coordinator and you don't make the play,
that tape is ugly on Monday.
Speaker 2 (01:24:28):
And now Emmanuel Wilson's come into the game and just
slid down. That's one of the better field services that
you're getting in the NFL. But it's still ten degrees
and it's still December and can get slick. And that's
what happened is Emmanuel Wilson, I thought was trying to
make a cutback. What have we gotten into the end
zone if you would have kept his feet but does not,
So it's going to be second in goal, down at
(01:24:49):
the three yard line. Now there's a Bear that's slow
to get up. Yeah, something right corner the Packers in
this scenario here, I think also I wouldn't mind taking
some time off the clock, but time isn't necessarily of
the essence. The Bears have all three timeouts. But in
this trying to see where the injury ended up occurring,
(01:25:11):
may have been who kicked in the head. I think
he was already going down, but he ended up getting
kicked in the head by Ah by a spike from
the back of his heel. There are so many plays
that Carrie sees as a former player that he knows
how much they hurt. So there's going an injury timeout
on the field. We'll get back, We'll tell you what
Green Bay does. It'll be second and goal from the
(01:25:31):
three yard line. One of the biggest plays that we're
going to see and the highlights played over and over,
happened in Cleveland today and there was a point where
the Browns were up thirty or were down thirty one
to seventeen. And they came back, went for two, and
it was thirty one to twenty three. Unable to get it.
Almost Tennessee almost was able to take it back and
(01:25:53):
bring it back for a score. Ran out of gas.
It's still an eight point game. Titans unable to do
with it, anything with it on first down, not unable
to do anything on second down, unable to do anything
on third down.
Speaker 3 (01:26:05):
Punt it back to the Browns.
Speaker 2 (01:26:06):
So Cleveland drives down the field, scores on a Shador
Sanders touchdown pass to Harold Fan and Junior, and then
the decision carry to go for two, and they decided
to go for two. On the Browns radio network.
Speaker 1 (01:26:23):
Need the two to tie the game, They're going cats.
They're going pildcats.
Speaker 13 (01:26:29):
Judkins with white Heart in the backfield, two point conversion
to tie back to Quinn shot. He's gonna fake the reverse.
He's got it and now he may throw. No, he
reverses field. Now he throws it back all the other
way to the other side, and it's incomplete. Oh my,
what was that? He faked the reverse?
Speaker 9 (01:26:49):
I think he was supposed to pitch it and decided
not to. But here's the thing. You got Schador playing
so well leads you down the field twice and you
turn it into a gimmick play.
Speaker 4 (01:27:00):
From the two.
Speaker 2 (01:27:02):
Rob's Radio network, pointing out what I think many of
us are talking about. Why should or Sanders wasn't on
the field? Yeah, for that two point conversion? Any acceptable
reason in that scenario.
Speaker 5 (01:27:16):
Yeah, But I think we want to see him have
those opportunities. Right, We've been talking about it. Right, we
don't know who this guy is yet, and you don't
know who he is yet in these situations, So you
have these plays that you work on throughout the week.
They look good in practice, you scheme it up on cards,
it looks good, the defense kind of allows you to
(01:27:37):
run it, and it looks like it's gonna work in
the game. And so there are special points and moments
in the game where you're gonna do it doesn't matter
who the quarterback is. They're not just saying we got
your do We're gonna take him off the field. This
is a play they've worked on.
Speaker 2 (01:27:49):
Right, So.
Speaker 5 (01:27:50):
The success rate of that play working we don't know,
because he didn't piss the ball, but it looked like
it would have worked, and if it worked, we wouldn't
be having this conversation, But the fact that it didn't
happen and we don't get to see Shador, it just
leads the conversation open.
Speaker 3 (01:28:05):
And that's what we're doing right now. It's third and
goal for Green Bay.
Speaker 2 (01:28:07):
Josh Jacobs was stuffed, so it's gonna be third and
goal from the three yard line.
Speaker 3 (01:28:11):
I think that there are a couple of.
Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
Things with this. We've seen Quinshaw Jenkins in the wildcat
formation before, so maybe there was something on film that
they had showed previous weeks that they felt that they
could get the Titans on. And apparently it was because
he was supposed to flip it back and there were
receivers out in the flat. But I would also say
this carry they did go for two earlier on the
(01:28:35):
previous score Josh Jacobs touchdown, run three yards out, Packers
in the lead, with three point thirty two left to
go back to Shador and the Brons and the decision making.
So this two point conversion, I don't know. This is
one a but the other one that you need that
you did earlier would have been a waste if you
were to use that one. I don't My point being
(01:28:57):
is I'm guessing you have about five two point conversion place.
Is that a handful and to get within one score,
maybe it wouldn't use your best one, but you would
use one of your five. I think that this was
their best one. I think this is the one where
they're like, nobody's going to expect it, so you save
it for that situation. It just wasn't executed, So I
(01:29:18):
don't think it was necessarily them taking Shador off the field.
And Kevin Stefanski hates shad Or Sanders, he might, I
don't know, he might, But I think that this was
their best two point play, even though they ran one
earlier in the game and Quinn Shaw Judkins just forgot
to pitch the ball.
Speaker 3 (01:29:36):
Yeah, it happens.
Speaker 5 (01:29:37):
We didn't get in those situations, and it's intense in
the game is flying and people on the other side
are actually trying to stop you. You sometimes have a
brain freeze and you don't make the play you're supposed
to make.
Speaker 3 (01:29:49):
And so when you look at the play, we just looked.
Speaker 5 (01:29:51):
At it in the last in the last time out,
it was wide open and he had both Watsons and
the play would have worked if he'd done what the
coach has told me to do and he didn't do it.
Speaker 2 (01:30:00):
Judkins remembered a half second too late. Yeah, because you
could tell obviously, Ah, I was supposed to pitch it.
Speaker 3 (01:30:08):
Then he ran for his life and then.
Speaker 2 (01:30:10):
Tried to throw it back once he did, but then
it was a forward pass and it ended up falling
incomplete at that point.
Speaker 5 (01:30:18):
But but Dan, why would you why would you not
let I mean obviously that we know the play could
have worked, but take that away, like, why wouldn't you
see I mean, you're trying to win a game. I'm
just asking like a hypothetical, like let Sidor try to
tie his thing.
Speaker 2 (01:30:33):
It sounds that I'm very pro Stefanski, but I think
it is that this was their best two point play.
This was the one that they thought that if they're
going to get someone, they're gonna get him on this one.
It's misdirection. It's not just throwing a ball up to
Fannin or Djoku. It's it's not like we're going to
give it to Judkins and he's going to run for
three yards because we're going to put our jumbo package in.
(01:30:54):
I think this is the one that you save in
your back pocket. And the fact that they used one
ear earlier with Shador on the field. That tells me
and they didn't get it at that point, but that
then tells me that they do have plays for Shador
in that two point situation. I just feel that they
felt this wasn't their best one. I think that they
(01:31:16):
thought that this was the primo surprise play, we're going
to get him. This place is going to go nuts,
that this was number one on the chart and it
just didn't work out.
Speaker 3 (01:31:25):
And then when you don't get it, we have these conversations.
Speaker 2 (01:31:27):
Yes, absolutely, I know, I know we're going to have
that conversation. But I think it's as simple as that.
I actually don't think it's anything personal about Shador. I
think today's performance by Shador and how they came back
in a game against honestly their defense let them down
the game that they should have won this game alone
(01:31:49):
would be reason why I would say, let's give him
a shot next year, let's have him be our guy
heading into twenty twenty six, and we'll work around that.
I don't think that the Browns are one player away.
Maybe they think that they are because of how good
their defense is, but the defense wasn't there today. But
I think that Shador is done enough and just this
(01:32:11):
performance alone is the reason why he should get an
opportunity to be the starting quarterback next year.
Speaker 5 (01:32:16):
Yeah, they're definitely not one player away. There are a
couple of players away on offense in particular, and so
they need they need skill position upgrades. And I think
if you go into the next season knowing that you
just need a couple of upgrades on the offensive side
of the ball and you have your signal caller, makes
it a little bit easier to move forward. And I
think what should do and actually getting to being able
(01:32:38):
to see him play from behind a little bit today
and then open up the playbook a little bit so
we can see that he can make on time, on
target throws, early anticipation throws which we saw. I think
that bodes well for just the evaluation process for them
in general. I mean, obviously we want to see it,
but for them, they get to see it and also
their teammates get to see it. Right, It's fine in
(01:33:01):
practice we get to see you make some throws and
you look like you can be the part of an
NFL quarterback, But until you get into these games and
actually have to comfort behind and make real big league throws.
Then we never know, but he did some of those
things today.
Speaker 2 (01:33:14):
He was twenty three or forty two, three hundred and
sixty four yards, three touchdowns, one interception, did have the
touchdown run led them in rushing actually twenty nine yards,
which was maybe makes it more impressive. They had no
running game to lean on and that was non existent
as Quinn Shuhn Judkins had just twenty six yards on
fourteen carries. That's where we are with the Browns. They
follow the three and ten Tennessee gets their second win
(01:33:36):
of the year. Shador by the way completely outplayed cam
ward I'm not shocked by that. I don't think anybody
should be considering Cleveland's defense, m cam warden the offense
making plays. Who was Tony Pollard the real star? One
hundred and sixty one yards on the ground and two scores.
Speaker 5 (01:33:50):
Which is crazy to think about. We just talked about
Cleveland last couple of weeks and how good their defense was,
and for them to let Tennessee run the ball that
way on them without real legitimate pass and attack is
shocking to me.
Speaker 2 (01:34:03):
He's carry roads. I'm dan byer. The Bears have the
football back They've just crossed midfield with under three minutes
to go. They have all three other timeouts. Down by
seven to the Packers twenty eight to twenty one. We'll
tell you how they fare. Plus the Rams putting the
finishing touches on the Cardinals up forty five to seventeen
with four minutes left to go. We'll bring you the
conclusion of those games and what happens. It's all coming
(01:34:24):
up next. He's carry Roads. I'm Dan Byer. Its end
Zone Radio on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (01:34:29):
Back to Dan Byer and Carry Rhoads.
Speaker 3 (01:34:31):
A huge fourth down for the Chicago Bears.
Speaker 2 (01:34:36):
Fourth and one on the Green Bay fourteen yard line.
Speaker 3 (01:34:42):
Caleb Williams rolls to his left. Carry Caleb Williams just through.
Speaker 2 (01:34:49):
An interception as the Packers look like they will survive
against the Bears twenty eight to twenty one.
Speaker 5 (01:34:57):
Well, they did what I said, Dan, all their I
said the Bear shuld run a hard play action Here
they did. The Packers defense was well scowled and kept
their eyes on their work. Nobody I mean that fast
back to the flat play has worked all year. Oh,
it looks like number two was wide open more But
I mean Caleb had to make a play here. He
(01:35:18):
had to give himself and it team a chance. Doesn't
get enough on that ball, I mean, was a little
bit behind the defender, but Caleb was on the run.
Speaker 3 (01:35:26):
Couldn't get square to.
Speaker 5 (01:35:28):
Get enough inner power inertia on the ball to get
over the top. But I mean, I thought it was
a great play call. I mean, Green Bay was gonna
do everything they could to stop them run.
Speaker 3 (01:35:36):
But man, the Bears had a chance there.
Speaker 2 (01:35:39):
Keishaw Nixon was the one who picked off Caleb Williams.
Let's be Frank, complete underthrow and you're right, Dj Moore
was missed on that play. Nobody's perfect, there's no doubt
about that. But when you run a fourth in one play,
it's on the shoulders of your quarterback and a brisk handshake.
(01:36:00):
Matt Lafort, Lafleur and Ben Johnson. Is there some stuff there? Yeah,
I think that there's some rivalry from the past. I
know that Ben Johnson made some comments as well about
the division and Green Bay and in the other opponents
in their division as well when he got the Bear's job,
But it was quick. They meet again in a couple
(01:36:21):
of weeks in Chicago, but in that case, when you
roll out and you put everything on the shoulders of
Caleb Williams, he has to make the right play and
DeAndre Swift was covered, there was no room to run.
He had dj Moore and missed him and under threw
it to col Comet was open, yes, but he wasn't
open when you underthrew him.
Speaker 5 (01:36:41):
Yeah, he was open, but the way that Caleb was rolling,
he couldn't get his couldn't get his shoulders around.
Speaker 3 (01:36:47):
To make an accurate throw.
Speaker 5 (01:36:48):
But also that that's the thing about Caleb right now,
and I think that's with a lot of young quarterbacks,
right if you're able to take away that immediate first read,
what's that back to the flat was for them? And
if I mean usually in which we've seen a lot
this year, that play has worked across the league. Right,
So the fact that Green Bay was schooled on it
and took that away. Now, when the first read isn't there,
(01:37:12):
what does your quarterback do and what can can he
be Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen to one of those
guys that in that situation, he's going to find the
next guy. That's the next part of Caleb Williams evolution.
Speaker 2 (01:37:25):
Here's What's also worth noting, at least in that last drive,
is the Bears actually had it first down and ten
at the two minute warning at the green Bay twenty
three yard line. They then ran a play on first
down that got them three yards and let the clock run.
Excuse me, I take that back. They got six yards
(01:37:45):
after the two minute warning. The next snap that they
took was a minute seventeen where they got three yards
on third and one. The clock continued to run thirty
five seconds left, common Ung Guy was stopped bringing up
the fourth and one. I think the Bears felt that
they were just gonna run the ball and run the
ball into the end zone. And as all of that
(01:38:07):
was happening, Carrie time was going off the clock. Yes,
so even if Caleb Williams in this situation where he's
rolling out, throws it to DJ Moore and throws it
to him underneath Green Bay, the Bears would have the
ball at about the green Bay five or six yard line,
but you would.
Speaker 3 (01:38:26):
Maybe have.
Speaker 2 (01:38:28):
Two or three plays left in that scenario, and I
mean the clock. We took a time out, and I
thought that we would be back in plenty of time
to get the Bear's conclusion and when we came back
because the Bears just let the clock run and nobody
was calling timeouts, we ended up coming back on the
fourth down call. But it's smart of Ben Johnson to
(01:38:49):
work the clock. I just think that they may have
worked it a little too much in that scenario. And
then on fourth and one with twenty five seconds left,
you only had so many options.
Speaker 3 (01:38:59):
Yeah, that's the thing.
Speaker 5 (01:39:00):
A lot of times, Yes, you got to play, you're
going for the score, You're trying to obviously get in
the end zone, but you also don't want to leave
any time for Jordan Love. We just saw what he
did right at halftime, right it was it was like
fifty some seconds left before before halftime and he takes
him down for a touchdown to win the game. So
we definitely want to milk the clock and score. That
(01:39:20):
would be a perfect scenario. But again, I think that
is one of those things, right if you have the
right signal caller and you have that guy that you
trust in that situation, I think that would be more
ideal in what Ben Johnson was trying to do. But
with Caleb Williams, you got to just got to go
score a touchdown. It doesn't matter how much time is left,
and I think that's part of the problem.
Speaker 2 (01:39:40):
I think that the key point in all of this
is I assume Ben Johnson and the Bears would have
gone for two in that year area yeah, yeah, yeah,
And so just being able to get the ball into
the end zone and working the clock. They were trying
to do everything, and I think that they honestly were
caught off guard that Koreem Bay stopped them on third
and one, because now, all of a sudden, you have
(01:40:01):
to use the timeout and you still have to pick
up a yard and instead of calling a timeout on
a first down where you're like, now we've got four plays,
we're going to be throwing some into the end zone,
time's not going to be of the essence. It was
smart for them to work the clock so that Green
Bay wouldn't get the football, but ultimately I think they
ended up making a rush decision, and maybe that's why
(01:40:24):
Caleb Williams ended up throwing into the end zone instead
of just taking the dump off to It wasn't a
dump off, but he was an underneath route where DJ
Moore was where maybe more scores on it. I'm not sure.
Maybe Caleb just didn't see him, but it seemed that
Caleb may have pressed on that last throw.
Speaker 5 (01:40:41):
Yeah, Caleb definitely didn't see him, but he has to
know where his outlet is and that was his outlet.
Speaker 2 (01:40:46):
Right.
Speaker 5 (01:40:46):
So in that progression of what that play was.
Speaker 3 (01:40:51):
A hard play action heart fake on the run fake.
Speaker 5 (01:40:55):
You want to get the back that you're faking two
out to the flat obviously thinking that you're going to
be a man and man coverage and he's going to
take a step up trying to stop the run. He's
going to get beat to the flat. Like that's the idea,
all right. If that's taken away, like Ben Johnson before
that play even happens, should be telling Caleb Williams, if
that's taken away, your next read is the over route
by DJ Moore.
Speaker 2 (01:41:15):
Right.
Speaker 5 (01:41:15):
You always want to bring when your quarterbacks on the move,
you want to bring a receiver to that in his
window so he can see them with the vision. The
fact that he's rolling out and he's feeling like he's
under pressure and now he turns away from that, Like,
if you're coming here and you got your shoulders square
to that outlet, the next read, if that's covered, which
we saw in real time. It was covered right away.
(01:41:38):
Caleb Williams should be turning right back to look at
that one, sure and he you know, if Ben Johnson
was talking to us after this game, I'm sure he
would talk about that being the next option.
Speaker 2 (01:41:47):
The other point of this is the way that they
ran the play action. Is Caleb Williams is rolling opposite,
is you know, thrown across the body?
Speaker 3 (01:41:57):
Yes, and so in that instance, maybe.
Speaker 2 (01:42:00):
That's why you get a bit of an underthrow on
the pass.
Speaker 3 (01:42:03):
Yes, where normally you would see it.
Speaker 2 (01:42:06):
And if a quarterback was rolling out, a right handed
quarterback rolling out to his right, it's more natural to
throw back across your body that way because your momentum
is taking you that way, as opposed to what Williams did.
I think that also is why point the ball was underthrown.
As it stands now, the Bears fall to the seventh spot.
Speaker 3 (01:42:26):
They balled a seven.
Speaker 2 (01:42:27):
I'm telling you this thing is volatile. It is because
Green Bay with the win, jumps up. They're nine to
three and one. The Bears are nine to four. Right now,
the forty nine ers would have a tie break over
them the Bears. And by the way, the Niners and
Bears play later on in this regular season, so that.
Speaker 3 (01:42:47):
Game is going to have a lot at stake. Now's
what we talked about earlier.
Speaker 5 (01:42:52):
Dan I said, we thought coming into this season, well,
last season, that division got three teams in, and I
said early in this show that it might only be one.
Speaker 3 (01:43:01):
I mean, obviously it's a lot of time left with.
Speaker 5 (01:43:03):
Detroit and Chicago, they're gonna be fighting probably for their
last spot. And if they don't, if one of them
go on a losing streak here, and it's gonna be
tough for both of those guys.
Speaker 2 (01:43:13):
So the Bears have Shador Sanders in the Browns next week.
That should be a winnable game for them. Then they
finished with green Bay home against green Bay at San
Francisco week seventeen, home against the Lions in eighteen.
Speaker 3 (01:43:31):
So it might be ten and seven. They might be
like Seattle last year.
Speaker 2 (01:43:35):
It's why their playoff possibility is where it is. Sixty
three percent was the playoff percentage for the Bears.
Speaker 3 (01:43:43):
Coming into this game.
Speaker 2 (01:43:44):
Yes, yeah, where it says curl right now, sixty three percent.
Speaker 3 (01:43:49):
It was seventy five coming into this game, Okay, got
so it drops to sixty three.
Speaker 2 (01:43:53):
The Lions playoff percentage according to NFL dot Com is
fifty four percent, So there's there's just a game that
separates the two. Lions have the tiebreaker right now because
they beat them in Detroit early on in the season.
I believe that was week maybe week two or three.
I think it was week two because the Lions are
coming back off their loss from Green Bay. But a
(01:44:14):
Week eighteen matchup that could be the Sunday nighter if
the playoff berth is on the line, depending on how
things go.
Speaker 5 (01:44:19):
Where did they play the first game then? Was it
SUSA Chicago or the Bears?
Speaker 2 (01:44:23):
And the first game between the Lions and Bears was
in Detroit, So the week eighteen matchup game is in Chicago.
That's probably going to be your Sunday night er if
everything holds. But the Lions have a tough slate coming up.
You mentioned they got to go to LA and face
the Rams coming up in week fifteen.
Speaker 3 (01:44:39):
He is Carrie Rhodes, I'm Dan Byer.
Speaker 2 (01:44:40):
Let's go to the news desk, Monci Belanos giving us
all the scores and highlights from a busy day. What's
going on, Manzi?
Speaker 12 (01:44:47):
I feel like I just played a football game. I'm
so drained from all of these games today because there
were so many close ones, especially the Bears and the Packers.
So I feel like I just played a game, like
I'm drained.
Speaker 3 (01:44:58):
Now, how many yards did you have today?
Speaker 11 (01:45:00):
We'll say zero. We'll say salt, you know.
Speaker 3 (01:45:03):
Not negative.
Speaker 11 (01:45:04):
I'm not in the negative. I am just We'll just
say zero. You're a here or miss I was a.
Speaker 3 (01:45:11):
Mean Montie had some fantasy strain. I know, did you
end up getting in? Did it?
Speaker 5 (01:45:15):
So?
Speaker 10 (01:45:15):
I don't know.
Speaker 11 (01:45:16):
Yeah, I haven't looked. I haven't looked because I'm scared.
Speaker 12 (01:45:18):
I'm scared, but I think there's another way I can
also sneak in, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 11 (01:45:21):
But I haven't looked. There's one league where I need
other people to lose in order for me to get
into the playoffs. But I'm right there.
Speaker 3 (01:45:27):
I'm right there.
Speaker 12 (01:45:28):
I'm in the hunts. We don't like that, No, we don't.
I'm in the hunt, you know what I'm saying. I'm
like the Chiefs and the Ravens right now, I'm in
the hunt. Right The Broncos outscored the Raiders twenty four
to seventeen. Denver is the number one seed in the
eight f seed. They would have the tiebreaker over the Patriots.
They've also won ten in a row. Bo Nicks did
not throw a touchdown pass, but it didn't matter. He
(01:45:49):
was thirty thirty one of thirty eight for two hundred
and twelve yards. The Rams are the number one seed
in the NFC. They crushed the Cardinals forty five to seventeen.
The final score seven catches, one hundred and sixty seven
yards and two touchdowns. The Packers survived twenty eight to
twenty one against the Bears. Caleb Williams through one interception
(01:46:10):
and it came in their final possession as they try
to tie the game, but he threw an interception in
the end zone. Jordan Love threw for two hundred and
thirty four yards, three touchdowns and an interception, but that
happened earlier in the game. Caleb Williams threw for one
hundred and eighty six yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
The teams that were officially eliminated from the playoffs after
the games for today, Commanders, Jets, Falcons, and Browns. The
(01:46:31):
Browns lost to the Titans today thirty one to twenty nine.
The Vikings crushed the Commanders thirty one zero JJ McCarthy
in this one, sixteen of twenty three, one hundred and
sixty three yards and three touchdowns. The Dolphins rolled past
the Jets thirty four to ten. Yeah, Miami is still alive.
The Saints had the upset of the day, defeating the
Buccaneers in Tampa on a rainy day twenty four to twenty.
(01:46:51):
Steelers hung on twenty seven to twenty four against the Ravens.
They have sole possession of the AFC North right now.
In the AFC South, the Jaguars Crews passed the Colts
thirty six to nineteen, so Jacksonville is at the top
right now, and the Colts lost Daniel Jones to an
achilles injury in this one. The Bill survived thirty nine
to thirty four against the Bengals, so Buffalo is now
nine and four. The Seahawks improved to ten and three.
(01:47:13):
They outscored the Falcons thirty seven to nine. When it
comes to the college football playoff picture, while Notre Dame
was not put.
Speaker 11 (01:47:20):
In in, neither was BYU.
Speaker 12 (01:47:21):
Alabama did get in, but Notre Dame announced that they
withdrawn their name from consideration for a bowl game. Also
the same thing with Iowa State and Kansas State.
Speaker 11 (01:47:29):
When it comes to the NBA. Lebron James is playing
tonight for the Lakers. They take on the seventy six
ers at seven thirty Eastern time.
Speaker 12 (01:47:35):
Right now, the Warriors lead the Bulls thirty eight to
twenty five after the first quarter.
Speaker 11 (01:47:39):
Jamal Murray has thirty points and the Nuggets.
Speaker 12 (01:47:41):
Lead the Hornets seventy nine to seventy two, and they're
still late in the third quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:47:45):
Back to you guys, Thank you very much, Jim Monzi.
Safe travels, be big apple.
Speaker 11 (01:47:51):
I'll be back before you know it.
Speaker 2 (01:47:52):
Yes you will. I know you can pack. It's oh no,
it's still unpacked, as Monsei.
Speaker 11 (01:47:57):
I just don't know what to take because it's gonna
be cold.
Speaker 3 (01:48:00):
Just take layers, that's all I'll say.
Speaker 4 (01:48:03):
Layers.
Speaker 2 (01:48:04):
That's layers.
Speaker 11 (01:48:05):
That's layers.
Speaker 3 (01:48:05):
It doesn't matter what it is. Throw it in.
Speaker 11 (01:48:07):
A suitcase, all right, That's what I'm packing. She's thrown.
Speaker 2 (01:48:13):
All right. Save travels to Manzi Blogos. Shit her up
at Manzi Bolanos. We'll talk to her in week fifteen.
He is carry roads. I'm dan Byer. I don't know
if we have the final call from the Raiders or
Broncos game. If we do, just let me know. But
I want to show Carry Roads a picture. And I
know this doesn't translate if you're driving in your car,
you're listening on your phone, you're listening in the iHeartRadio app,
(01:48:35):
whatever the case may be. But I'm showing Carry Roads
a picture of a Legiance stadium and what do you see?
A lot of There's a lot of orange, a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:48:44):
Is that what I'm looking at?
Speaker 2 (01:48:45):
Yes? Absolutely, this was taken from the Mile High Profit.
All I did was search Broncos fans allegiant. That's what
I That's what I searched, and that was a picture
of what happened with the Raiders Broncos game with tons
of Broncos fans there in Las Vegas today.
Speaker 3 (01:49:04):
This is what happened. We don't have the highlight.
Speaker 2 (01:49:08):
Pete Carroll and the Raiders were down ten and chose
to kick a forty six yard field goal with five
seconds left, which allowed the Raiders to cover the spread
at whatever number you were to the desire. It was
more than a touchdown, it was less than ten, right,
So whatever number you got it at at that point,
there were so many games. We had Packers Bears. Today,
(01:49:29):
we had Bill's Bengals, we had Steelers Ravens, Colt's Jaguar,
so many playoff implications, division implications. The biggest takeaway, even
with awful calls made in Baltimore, maybe that an NFL
head coach kicked the field goal.
Speaker 3 (01:49:49):
To make sure.
Speaker 2 (01:49:50):
That the opposing fans that took over his stadium did
not win their bets. Yes, that is exactly what happened
in Week fourteen. There is no way that Daniel Carlson
was going to kick a field goal so fast Carrie
that it would make it through the uprights in record setting.
Speaker 3 (01:50:09):
Time and then allow them to kick an on.
Speaker 2 (01:50:11):
Side kick and recover that in record setting time and
still have an opportunity to bring out a team and
throw a Hail Mary and win the football game. They
had no chance at winning. They were down ten. They
had no reason to kick a field goal in that
scenario except to ruin the bets of all the fans
(01:50:32):
that were Denver Broncos fans that likely bet on their
team and overtook Allegiant Stadium. To me, it is the
biggest story because of how prevalent gambling has become in
our world.
Speaker 3 (01:50:43):
And now we have a team in Las Vegas, so.
Speaker 2 (01:50:45):
When fans come to Las Vegas, they're going to bet
on their team. And Pete Carroll said, you know what,
I know we stink. I know we're awful, and we
just lost our starting quarterback and we fired sixty seven
percent of our coordinators. I'm gonna make your afternoon miserable,
all of your bets wiped out.
Speaker 3 (01:51:02):
Take that no way.
Speaker 5 (01:51:04):
To justify any other There's no other way to justify it.
I mean, obviously, you just showed me to picture a
lot of orange in the stands, and if that was
like in the last few seconds, that would be great, Dan,
Like it.
Speaker 3 (01:51:15):
Would really really encapsulated all.
Speaker 5 (01:51:18):
If that was like in the last thirty seconds or so,
and you're sitting there, you get to see that. Because
we're not there, we don't know exactly how the building,
the buzz is or what's happening in there, So that
picture actually says a lot. And the fact that he
kicked the field goal with four seconds left in the game,
in the meaningless game, just take a knee and go home, Like,
what other reason are you doing that? But to make
(01:51:38):
those people miserable, throw one up into the end zone.
Speaker 2 (01:51:40):
That part, you could do it, you do whatever, But
to take points to say we're not going to lose
by ten, We're going to lose by seven. It had
nothing to do with them getting closer in a loss.
It had everything to do with ruining the bets of
Broncos fans that took over their stands.
Speaker 5 (01:51:56):
That's no, yeah, that there's no no other reasons for it, Dan,
that's it just doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 2 (01:52:02):
I know college football coaches know what the spread is,
and this is something we alluded to earlier. Yeah, boosters
will bet on your team. If you're favorite to win
by thirty five, coach, just make sure you cover the
thirty five. Coaches know that stuff. They know when they're
favored by twenty one. They say they don't, they absolutely do,
especially in the college game. Yeah, but now with everything
(01:52:25):
the way that it is, I'm sure Pete Carroll said
Denver's coming in. We played them to a ten to
seven game earlier this week. Guess what, they're a now
an eight point favorite to us. They're seven and a
half point favorite to us. You really think like they
know what the line is they know what the spread is.
That's why he did it. You cannot convince me otherwise.
He saw those he's chewing that gum on the sidelines,
(01:52:46):
and he's looking at the fans that stuck around because
they were Broncos fans. The Raiders fans had no reason
to stick around, and he's chewing his gum and he
chose to kick a field goal because of that. And
I think that's the biggest story from Week fourteen, considering
all of this stuff that we had on we actually
had an NFL head coach that took a gambling outcome
into consideration to shove it down the throats of Broncos
(01:53:07):
fans even in defeat.
Speaker 3 (01:53:09):
He's carry Roads. I'm Dan Byer, are Week.
Speaker 2 (01:53:11):
Fourteen MVPs and Kerry likes the Texans tonight. How do
they get it done against the Chiefs? He'll tell us
next year on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (01:53:20):
Back to Dan Byer and Carry Rhoades.
Speaker 3 (01:53:25):
You can excel.
Speaker 2 (01:53:26):
Week fourteen almost done, except if you're a Chiefs. They're
Texans fans ending with the Eagles and Chargers, those two
games still coming up. Bears Packers got off to a
slow start green Bay with some fireworks at the end
of the first half. But the Bears not only hung tough.
I think you could say for a while the Bears
were the better team in that second half. But green
(01:53:46):
Bay made plays. The Josh Jacobs run on the third
and one. Yes, they got in something that the Bears
could not do on their ensuing possession that could have
given them the lead.
Speaker 5 (01:53:56):
And that's a great point, Dan, because we talk about
like having execute, and we talk about coaches and we
have putting their players in the position to make the plays,
and I think the Bears did that today. They just
didn't make enough plays to win.
Speaker 2 (01:54:07):
Yeah, it's there's no moral victories for the Bears, especially
when you're nine to three and it's there for you
like they're now. You're all for positioning, but green Bay
is not the tougher team. I think that there are
people who still question whether the Bears are tough. I
think they look at the glitz and the flashiness and
the trick plays that Ben Johnson runs, but like they did,
(01:54:31):
or like he did in Detroit, when you have the
thunder and lightning combination of a swift and manung guy,
which compares to Jimmy or Gibbs and David Montgomery.
Speaker 3 (01:54:41):
You can do a lot of damage and if KILEB.
Speaker 2 (01:54:43):
Williams just holds up his end of the bargain like
Jared Goff did in Detroit, they're dangerous. But they've shown
over the last couple of weeks. Last week against Philadelphia,
both guys were over one hundred yards rushing. They showed
they could be the tougher team. Yeah, it's not a fluke,
that's same.
Speaker 5 (01:54:56):
It is tough and they're taking on the mindset of
their co That's always a good sign to see early
on and a coach's tenure.
Speaker 2 (01:55:03):
I think you have two teams that are playing tonight
that also taken on the mindset of their coaches, both
in Houston and Kansas City. We'll get Carrie's breakdown of
that after we get our Week fourteen MVPs.
Speaker 1 (01:55:15):

Speaker 2 (01:58:47):
A huge thanks to Ricky Herrera who puts that together
each week for us here on Fox Sports Radio. Thanks
to Manzi belag Yo, Shay Mulgan Guard and Mary Mack
who are always here for us, and Chris Purfett, wh
left a little bit earlier. Tonight. We've got the Texans
and Chiefs carry at Arrowhead Texans, Chiefs outside looking in
(01:59:08):
on the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (01:59:08):
Texans.
Speaker 2 (01:59:09):
Maybe a few more routes because of the division still
possibly could be in play for them. But how do
you think it plays out tonight in Kansas City.
Speaker 5 (01:59:15):
I think Will Anderson and those guys on that defensive
front is going to put all kinds of pressure on
Kansas City today. So if I'm Kansas City, They're gonna
have to be a little bit patient, and they're going
to have to play the long game here, and they're
going to have to execute at a high level, and
I just don't think they're going to be able to
do that for the full game. And I think the
Texans offense will put up enough points to win this game.
(01:59:36):
So I see Houston going into the arrowhead and really
making it really tough on the Chiefs to move on.
Speaker 2 (01:59:41):
Here, we talked about playoff probability. If the Texans win tonight,
eighty six percent chance they make the postseason. They would
have tie breaker over the Chiefs with the win if
there was if it came down to it. Beat the
Ravens earlier this season, so if the Ravens is a
wild card, they would have that tie breaker. But right now,
sixty three percent eighty six percent if the Texans win.
(02:00:04):
If the Chiefs win tonight's still at fifty four percent.
There's still some work to do, but Colts are slipping
down as we said, and the Chargers still have a
game to play. So with all said and done here
in the final thirty seconds or so, biggest outcome or
result from today was what in week fourteen?
Speaker 5 (02:00:17):
I think the biggest one obviously the Steelers and the Ravens.
People are going to say that, but I think it's
the Jaguars and the Colts, but the Colts moving, losing, losing,
Daniel Jones's that's a big one.
Speaker 2 (02:00:26):
When we want to count out the Jaguars, and granted
the injury hurt the Colts, Jacksonville has come through most
of the time. They're sitting there at nine and four,
maybe the worst nine to four team in the NFL
that we've ever seen. I say that jokingly, but they've
got some huge wins and another big one today.
Speaker 5 (02:00:40):
Unless I've play the Cardinals, these carry roads, I'm Dan Beyer.
Speaker 2 (02:00:46):
The Ravens are going to rue the day that the
referees did not count that ASAA likely touchdown. That's going
to stick with them. Enjoy the games tonight and talk
to you next week.
