Speaker 2 (00:18):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (00:18):
I'm good. We got one of those good shows coming tonight,
I think, and Kevin. I got a somewhat of a
surprise for.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
You here, surprise mother.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
I got a new IR machine. So what a new
instant replay machine?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
How new is new? Okay?

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Refurbished from like, say, twenty years ago as opposed to
forty years ago, is what we're talking about?

Speaker 5 (00:40):
Or what?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (00:40):
That's right?

Speaker 2 (00:41):
What's the problem, hey, I'll take it.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
Look, we went from a machine from nineteen ninety three.
We went from a machine from like og Bush era
presidency to a Bill Clinton presidency machine over here like that,
And that's fine, it's not there's nothing to do with
any of that stuff. I'm just saying I can actually
push the buttons and it shouldn't sweak out on us
like it did the last few weeks. I mean it

(01:03):
was bad. It was breaking down right before our eyes.
Has even called an instant replay two.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Oh version two the sequel.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
But it's gonna be like video game sequels, where those
are usually better, you.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Know, Okay, yeah, absolutely, all right, absolutely.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Speaking of better, bigger, better, stronger, faster. Coming up later
this very hour, we got geek news for you. In
geek News, we will reveal, as we do every year
around this time, Adam's twelve Films of Christmas. Here's a
hint to one.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Okay, yeah, the great sports talk radio debate of whether
that movie is or isn't a Christmas movie.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Oh, there will be no debate tonight. Let me tell
you something, or I will bring out the big guns
from die Hard, because that is a Christmas movie. If
it takes place during Christmas, it's a Christmas movie. So
geek news later this hour. But next hour, Kevin, what
do we got.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
We got our friend Brady papinga Super Bowl champion with
the Green Bay Packers, played eight c the NFL, former
Fox sports radio host as a matter of fact, and
a friend of the old FNA podcast. So it's been
a while since we've talked to Brady So we'll talk
to Brady about the college football playoff a little bit
and mostly get his take on the NFL and what
is a huge weekend with playoff implications left and right.

(02:15):
So looking forward to talking to our friend Brady Puppinka
coming up in the second hour.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
You know, we got the NFL six pack for you,
a week fifteen, Week sixteen where am I here? Am
I wrong?

Speaker 5 (02:24):
And one of us has made a gross era.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Is sixteen sixteen, seventeen eighteen. We got three more weeks left, Okay,
NFL six Pack Week sixteen edition, and then a little
college football forecast which we'll get into early on here
as well. But some of the games coming up later
today is one has already taken place, and then two
on two off and I don't know if I'm gonna

(02:49):
be happy with this one with the results from last week.
Don't patronize me, right, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
I sey don't know what you mean.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Don't get smart with me like that, Kevin, How dare
you just because you're a lead and have been leading
since like week one?

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Come at him. I'm a journalist. I'm just asking questions here.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
Yeah, you know that's all it is. Well, when you
know the answers to these questions.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Is the problem right here?

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Necessarily you have the transcription. All right, let's get things started.
As mentioned, we got to start with first off in
some college football, that's.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Wrong Bloomer Center, I would say, so, by the way,
I'll start with this. It might be a big sigh
of relief in Tuscaloosa because if Alabama finds a way
to lose this game. As odd as it might sound,
I think the noise around Kailn de Bor and whether
or not he would be going to Michigan will be
even louder. Yeah, because now he's just sitting there and
there's nothing left to do. And I know he denied it.

(03:43):
He says, I'm not talking to anybody. My people aren't
talking to anybody. But there's a report that came out
on Friday afternoon that they are going full board, balls
to the wall all day long, going after Kailyn de Bor,
the full court press, despite the fact that he's still
coaching in the CFP and has now advanced.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Honestly, if I'm killing Deborne again or whatever they're calling him,
because he was well, he was lifeless in the first quarter.
Apparently he was on the verge of being fired before
the game was over, and then they won. So everything's fine.
Now if I end up winning this thing, I'm actually
going to leave and go to Michigan. Just despite all
the people that were down on me in Tuscaloosa all

(04:23):
season long, all the doubters, all the haters, all the
detractors out there and hate through you. I've had enough.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
I as weird as it sounds at him. And this
goes back to even last season, and I say they struggled.
They were nine to three last year too. By the way, Yeah,
I'm at Alabama backer or a fan at this point
in time, like I've jumped on to the evil Empire now?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Is it because Saban left? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:48):
And I think it's mostly because and maybe it's my
old West Coast Pac twelve roots. Even though kivin the
Boor is a Midwest guy generally speaking. He came to
the University of Washington, had a great run with him,
took him to the National Championship Game with they lost
to Michigan. So I don't know if I want to
call him a sympathetic figure. He's well compensated, he's you know,
coaching one of the great programs in college football, but
because of all the hate that he received, to your point,

(05:11):
from a lot of Bama people, and because he didn't
have a phenomenal start, even though most people were kill
to be nine and three and consecutive seasons.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Hey, is it okay they got into college football playoff
now at nine and three, since they won a game,
since they already took out Oklahoma? Is it all right now?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Is everybody okay the ends justify the means on that one.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Well, I would say, by the way I said last week,
and we debated this, I was like, I'm fine with
Alabama getting in with the nine and three lware because
I'm a resume guy over an eye test guy.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
You just didn't think they would actually do it.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Yeah, I think they would, but I thought they were
deserving I show their resume.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
I heard Notre Dame people during this game being like
Notre Dame would run both these teams off the field,
and it's like, oh, cool, cool, Just like you did
against Miami and just like you did against Texas A
and m oh no, your best wins were close losses
to good teams.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
That was in Week one and week two. We're so
much better now.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Talking about old stuff.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Yeah, but the problem with my argument, Adam and I
have this all the time when people argue about who's
playing better now versus the resume, it's like your resume is,
it's a totality of the entire schedule. I can acknowledge
that teams can get better as the season goes on,
but we can't act like games in September didn't It
didn't happen.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Well, they didn't have one of their better opponents later
in the season. Maybe if they did, that would have
helped them out. Maybe if they had a big victory
later in the season who are really close lost later
in the season instead of too earlier in the season,
they'd have a better argument. Right now, but I feel
like Alabama's proven they belong in the tournament with what

(06:37):
they were able to do tonight. I mean, that was impressive,
down seventeen to nothing in the eye of the Storm
and the dragons Layer in the lions Den, whatever you
want to call it. In Oklahoma, who had beaten in
the last two years now, Kevin.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Now, I don't know if I can. You know, Alabama
has some experienced players, a couple of holdovers from the
saving years, obviously with the portal has obviously affected that
a lot, and so it's hard to say like, well,
one program knows how to win and one doesn't.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
I don't know if that's.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Necessarily fair, but you do see certain players in certain
situations who react in pressure moments. So I look at
Jametier pick the pick six. All of a sudden, the
pressure is bearing down on you. You were up seventeen
to nothing, now it's seventeen to ten. You throw a
pick six, and your elite as a race before halftime,
Oklahoma's punter mishandled that punt. It was a clean snap.
He just happened to bobble it. They didn't end up

(07:25):
giving up a touchdown, but they gave up a field
goal that made it seventeen to ten at that point
in time. Tate Sindell, the best kicker in college football
all season long, never missed, misses one with three minutes
to go, and then misses another one with about ninety seconds.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Ago that effectively put it away.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
A big drop pass in the second quarter after Johnmetier
scrambled away from a from a defender. So all these
big plays Oklahoma seemed to not be making well. Alabama
has freshman receivers picking balls off of the helmets of
defensive backs, just making every play necessary. I don't know
if it's something about the DNA of Alabama and their
program in his or just this game Oklahoma didn't perform.

(08:02):
But that's kind of one of the things that came
to my mind. All the big plays that needs to
be made, Alabama made them, and all the mistakes Oklahoma
made them at the most inopportune times.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Well, and I tend to not give people that get
too much credit to begin with anymore. I don't want
to heap any more praise his way and Petros may
hate me for this, but try to bite a real show.
But I thought Kirk Herbstree put it best in the
second quarter where he said, it's a reverse of what
happened when Bama lost to Oklahoma. Yes during the regular season,

(08:32):
where Bbama was making the errors in that game, Oklahoma
was taking advantage with short fields, special teams errors from Bama.
Tonight it totally flipped around. He was right, That's how
it went.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Yeah, Because if you want to look back at the numbers,
like Alabama moved the ball up and down the field
against a really good Oklahoma defense in that game a
few months ago. The problem was they just had inopportune
turnovers at the wrong time. They lost what was a
twenty three to twenty one.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
And they had like two hundred more yards out there.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Yeah, they out I think they game him like four
hundred and something yards to two hundred and seven or something.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
It wasn't even close.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
They were able to move the ball at will, they
just couldn't cash in when they needed to. So a grant,
I don't want to take credit away from Oklahoma because
obviously you have to make plays too, but Alabama shot
themselves in the foot. If you went back and watched
that game or remember how that game played out, you
could have conceivably seen Alabama finding way to win this game,
which is why for the majority of this week, and
I don't know what the final line was. Before the

(09:25):
majority of the week, Alabama was a slight favorite, and
then at one point in time, Oklahoma actually became a favorite.
I don't know if too much money was coming in
on the tide or what.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
I saw earlier. Today it was Bama minus two minus two, and.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
That line moved all over the place this week.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
Then yeah, it was going back and forth. I think
some people felt like Bama has more pedigree or has
more of a track record in big games, but again
that was the Nick Saban regime. Calyndbor had to prove
himself in this ball game. He did. After being down
seventeen to nothing, they faced all the adversity and they
came back and were able to pull out a thirty
four to twenty for win in impressive fashion. To the point,

(10:03):
I don't know they might give Indiana some trouble at
the Rose Bowl. I could see that actually, and I
love Indiana.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Yeah, the issue is and you have to be able
to I think if you're gonna be able to beat Indiana,
you have to be able to run the ball a
little bit. And Alabama, even in spite of the success
they had today and ty Simpson played well, their offense,
by the way, had not played well down the stretch
of the season, which will put credence to the argument
of people who live in the camp of what have
you done for me lately? Alabama didn't look good the
last month of the regular season, a lot of close victories.

(10:31):
They got run off the field against Georgia. You know
how they were going to respond in this game was
going to go a long way, and ty Simpson, for
his part, looked really, really good. A couple of freshman
receivers making plays out there. It was great. But they
still weren't able to run the ball, and I think
that's going to be an issue as they continue to
go deeper into the postseason. I don't think they're gonna
go much deeper. We're gonna have a while to stew
on this and talk more deeply about this their matchup

(10:51):
against Indiana and the Rose Bowl, But just a snapshot
view of it, Alabama's inability to run the ball and
control the line of scrimmage I think is going to
be a real issue against an inn Yana team that
thrives at doing that.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Well.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
No one's gonna believe me, but a buddy asked me
earlier tonight, who do you like in this ball game?
And I said, I like Bama because I trusted their offense,
believe it or not, more against Oklahoma's really good defense.
Then I trusted Oklahoma's offense being able to move the
ball in Bama even though their defense isn't as good.
I just Jometereer what we've been seeing from him for

(11:23):
months since he came back off the thumb injury. They're
not able to run the ball either unless it's him,
and he makes mistakes passing the football too, So I
wasn't shocked. I was a little bit surprised, though, down
seventeen to nothing on the road to do it in
the fashion they did tonight.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
The crazy part is I don't think John Materiri even
played that poorly. Now, he wasn't great, and he was
inaccurate on a few throws. Yeah, but I mentioned there
was a couple of drop passes that really stymy slowed down,
a couple of drives that Oklahoma could have ended up
getting points out of. I thought John Matier, for you know,
his efforts, played as well as you can reasonably ask
him to play in a game.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
With this this high.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
So I don't even know if I can pin this
loss on his individual performance.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
To be honest with.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
You, it's really just it's three or four plays, that's it,
and he was really solid outside of that. But one
is so consequential with a pick six, passing its to
the wrong guy who was a receiver wasn't exactly in
the right spot either, that happening, That's the glaring mistake.
Everybody's gonna focus in on and say he got out
dueled by ty Simpson. Ty Simpson, by the way, was

(12:26):
throwing it up to that freshman receiver who was turning
every which way to come down with those footballs. That
was an impressive performance, his first two touchdowns of his
young career coming in this ball game.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
And by the way, Ryan Williams, who was kind of
the star receiver last year, the star freshman, came out
of nowhere eighteen years old. People were like, this guy
can be a top five pick if he came out
right now. This year has been a no show. He
had one reception for five yards, which was a little
dump ball path passed I think early in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
For him to be a complete.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Non factor in this game and still have Alabama win
by ten points, I can see where there would be
a level of optimism for them going into that game
against Indiana going next week at the Rose Bowl. I
can certainly see why you'd have optimism for that because
they're one of their best offensive players, their best individual
skill player basically was a no show and it didn't
even matter.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
Well. The thing with Bama to me is and Maybe
this is stereotyping them and just thinking about all the
past success with Nick Saban, but you think about the
recruiting with them, and talent's never really an issue. Now
things have changed an il transfer portal. It's not the
same game that it used to be. And that's why
Nick Saban probably wisely got out while the getting was good. Yep,

(13:35):
kept his legacy intact, and he's the all time goat
in my mind, at least a modern football in college football.
But I still feel like they have a talent advantage
over a team like Indiana. Indiana, though may have a
substantial coaching advantage. We shall see. Those guys are tough.
I just feel like it's still Alabama. Like when they

(13:57):
lose games, I usually feel I get self inflicted with them.
You know, it's never that they didn't have the guys,
it's just that they weren't able to scheme you up
well enough.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Yeah, I don't know if it's substantial. I do love
Kurtzignetti in the job that he's done, but I don't
think we should downplay Kailndbor, who has won literally every
single place that he has gone similar to kurtz Signetti,
every level those guys have coached at those guys have
excelled and been able to win at a high level.
I will say this like I mean Indiana. You would
say Ohio State had every individual talent advantage over Indiana too,

(14:29):
and that was a nip and tug game, and Indiana
found a way to make the plays that matter and
to be able to win. It's not always necessarily talent
that wins out, by the way. I remember us talking
about that game and I said, I thought Ohio State
would win because I thought their talent would end up
winning out, and that just wasn't necessarily the case. So
it's Alabama's going to We have the better athletes, doesn't
necessarily mean they're the better football team.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
No, no doubt. It's interesting to think about those two
coaches now matching up in the Rose Bowl. And I'm
more confident in Signetti than Kaitlin de boor am I
drinking some of the Bama kool aid and being a
hater now too, Like they've poisoned me somehow, where I'm
out on a guy who actually has more of a
track record than Signetti does in these positions, with what

(15:11):
he did in Washington not that long ago.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
No, because if you look at how things have shaped
up these last couple of years, and if you just
take last year out and just put in this season.
We talked about Bama having their share of struggles, losing
against Florida State to start the season, having three losses,
getting blown out in the in the SEC Championship game,
slogging their way through the last month of the regular season,
finding ways to win well. Indiana say, for a couple

(15:33):
of games, we're just blowing the doors off of everybody.
You got the close Penn State victory that they had,
but they found but they found a way to get that.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Other than that, they ran everybody.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
Off off of the field at the exception of Ohio State,
which was a nip and tut game, and they made
all the big plays that were necessary. So if you
just look from a resume and eyeball test situation, Indiana
looks like the team that should be, should be favored,
and should be should win this game.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
So right, so I certainly understand that outlook.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
No definitely to be favored. They're a monster. Signetti has
them as a well oiled machine right now. They look
like they have zero weaknesses. Now, last season a lot
of us felt like that. With Oregon, they got the
week off and then they got smoked by Ohio State.
Now Ohio State goes on to win it all, and
they caught fire at the right time, and they had

(16:19):
all the talent in the world. They just hadn't put
it together. They hadn't peaked yet. They did it at
the right time. But you do wonder about the rest
versus rust. Even Orgon, I guess, has been working on
things to stay in rhythm this week where they had
like a mock type of games setting out there their
field and autsin just to be ready for later today,
I guess. But when it surprised you, Kevin that it

(16:40):
wasn't necessarily the game that was the most interest to
me tonight, but like the game within the game, as
in a guy who used to beef with the game
in fifty cents.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
You know, it's so funny.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
I saw that and for some reason I thought of you,
and I said, Adam was gonna find a way to
bring this into the show tonight.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
Way they brought him into the arena.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
What am I supposed to do?

Speaker 4 (17:04):
I'm shoehorning this in Look. They played one of my
favorite songs many men, many many, many, many men.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
He come washing and commanders are running back.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
Last year they got shot and then he came back
and like week seven or eight, and he came out
when they introduced him to that song.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
Okay, that is gangster. No, that is gangster. That's hard.
But that first album from what two thousand and three,
two thousand and four, get Richard die Trine. It's all
produced by doctor Dre. It's perfect, it's beautiful. He comes
out and I guess that was the rallying cry song
that Oklahoma was using all season. He comes out, he's

(17:39):
singing the song They're down by ten. And I think
the funniest part was Chris Fowler felt the need to
say he just went straight white guy with it. I'm white.
I can say it too. Now you know, this isn't
the version with all the expletives. Just so you know, kids,
everything's fine here. Don't worry. This isn't the original version

(18:01):
of that song.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Yes, of course did Mickey Mouse from up Top. I
have to tell you that, Chris, you know, come on now.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
But somebody you tweeted it out because Oklahoma scored two
plays later. They went over about fifty yards after fifty
cent made his appearance, got a touchdown, and somebody said
fifty cent must have told Oklahoma he was gonna do
a doc about them if they didn't get it going.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
I just.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
I thought it was really funny. And then somebody tweeted
out this Kevin and I don't know if this is
true or not. I don't know if this came from
fifty cent on Instagram. It's right in line with the
level of trolling that he always does, and God bless
him for it. But apparently his doc on Diddy is
doing such big numbers and has been rated number one

(18:49):
on Netflix. It's been bigger than Stranger Things. And there
was a post out there, and I'm not sure if
it's confirmed in one of his stories or on his Instagram,
but it's fifty on the phone with the caption saying,
I know Stranger Things is pissed they spent five hundred
million on this season only to be beat out by
Diddy doing Stranger Things. That's that's fifty.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
I will certainly believe it. Yeah, I absolutely believe that.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
Skip Bailists lost the crown of the best troll ever
to fifty cent. And I don't know if he ever
gave it up because what he did to Floyd Mayweather
back in the day, this is what he lives for.
And even when you watch the doc, the first thing
you see, the first credit afterwards is fifty cent like
he wanted to make sure his name was all over it.
I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself. It was just fascinating.

(19:39):
I did not expect him to be there. I didn't
know that was the rallying song, but I do love it.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
And now, well, one thing he wasn't was a good
luck charm because it certainly it didn't work.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
So, you know, a little momentum for a second.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
And fifty cash paycheck whatever they whatever, the Sooners paid
him to come out and do his little mini concert
or whatever you want to call it. Many I'm just
want to plane back to wherever, Oklahoma, staying home in Norman. Sorry,
Chris Pink.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
Many men wanted to get a hold of that kicker afterwards.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
That's awful.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
That's just again this I mean, that's basically Morton Anderson
all over or Gary Anderson, excuse me, with the vikings
all over again. This guy had one of the best
seasons a kicker has had in college football history. Has
gone viral because he wears like the short shorts and
it's a whole thing and he's got the stash and
just implodes.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
And he missed a thirty six yarder that was in
question whether or not he actually missed it. But the
whole ball has to be inside the extended upright right,
and apparently it wasn't. It was not from the officials
view and.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
Can't be revealed.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
The problem is, even if you do review it, like
I mean, with those angles, what can you really tell?

Speaker 4 (20:42):
Yeah, it's not going to be definitive. If they had
called it good, they probably they wouldn't overturn it either,
even if they could review it. It was that close
of a kick.

Speaker 5 (20:50):
We were feel glory.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
They were sadly with three minutes left. That really could
have helped.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
But roll tide, Jeff for more? For one more week
at least.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
Yeah, for one more week or two more, I guess.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
I guess. We have a week off before we get
to the Rose Bowl.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Is it really a week off? And why aren't they
just playing at home? Why these teams in the first
round have home field, right and now we move back
to more traditional bull sites.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
They want to pay respect to the bowls and make
the bowls still seem important. So your Rose Bowls, your
Sugar Bowls still going to be played on January first.
So that's why we have the delay and why we're
not playing this again next Friday or Saturday. They want
to make sure they keep some level of tradition in
college football and have these bowl games be on January first.
How this holds up once, I'm gonna say win. Not

(21:36):
if the playoff expands, we'll have to see.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
Well, this was a good omen at least for the
first round with what three more games to go here?
Because last year all home teams won by double digits
in the first round. This is only year two obviously,
of the twelve team playoffs.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
We go back to the four team playoff and what
was it the first four or five years where every
game was a blowout, didn't matter if it was a
semi final, World championship game.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
It was bad.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
We could not get a good game. And it wasn't
just your fault Washington going against Bama. Everybody was losing
that first game badly somehow. Yeah, all right, more college
football coming up a little bit later, Kevin.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
Right, Yes, coming up in a little bit later but
coming up next. Ah, I guess one great football game
deserves another, right, Let's go back to Thursday night and
what happened that epic matchup in the NFC West between
the Rams and the Seahawks.

Speaker 4 (23:33):
Coming up, I got my twelve non traditional, untraditional alternative
Christmas movies to reveal and geek news. But Kevin, we
had an NFL game on Thursday night and it felt
like a Monday night football game. It was so good.
It didn't feel like a Thursday night game for once.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
These Thursday night games, I feel like they've gotten better
in the last couple of years because I remember, like
for the first ten years they sucked and then by
the time we got here too, you know, you get
to late to December, you'd have a bunch of like
terrible teams. You'd have like the Dolphins facing the Jaguars
and they both have four wins or something like that.
I think the stat was on Thursday night, this is
the first time that two to eleven win teams played

(24:14):
each other on a Thursday night, So that tells you
how big the stakes were.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
In this game, and it felt like a pseudo game
for the division title. It may end up going that way,
although if San Francisco wins out, they win the NFC West.
That's how's close things are right now. Absolutely, But we
talked about it a month ago probably, I think we
both felt like these two teams could be the best
two teams in the NFC, with the Rams and the Seahawks.

(24:38):
And after the Rams beat him up in La and
Sam Donald played that poorly. Sam Donald still had his
moments in this ball game, but he came through clutch
when he had to on that final drive to match
them and then get the two point conversion a win.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
I was proud of them, you know, the Cole part.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
So we talked about this last segment, talking about the
game that happened on Friday night between Alabama and Oklahoma
and how the first time they matched up, you know,
Alabama shot themselves in the foot so much and still
barely lost that game, and they kind of corrected that
and found a way to win on Friday night. You
kind of have the exact same theme when it comes
to the Rams in Seattle. Like the Seattle Seahawks moved
the ball up and down the field against the Rams

(25:15):
at Sofar when they played the first time earlier this season.
The problem is Sam Donald, like you mentioned, he turned
the ball over four times, four interceptions, and they still
had a chance to win that game with a field
goal in the final seconds.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
They just happened to miss it.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
You fast forward to Thursday night and all of a sudden,
the Rams are the ones who are making some mistakes.
They allow a punt return for a touchdown. Rashidi Rashisha
Hid by the way, someone I brought up at the
trade deadline who will make a big impact for Seattle
ended up doing it with the return.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
There. Even Sam Donald, he overcame to your point, he
threw up, He threw.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
Basically a pick six, He got tackled at the one
yard line and the Rams punched it in and then
he threw another interception in the red zone. That's a
fourteen point swing basically at that point in time, and
to your point, they found still found the way to
be able to win that game. That was incredible. That
was an incredible effort by Seattle to do that.

Speaker 5 (26:04):
Well.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
One point in the fourth quarter with the Rams up
by sixteen, Seattle only had a two percent chance of
winning the game. Odds that is, it wasn't exactly what
was the Giants Broncos game from earlier this season. The
odds weren't stacked up against them to that degree, but
considering the stakes, considering the team they were going up against,

(26:28):
to come back like that with Matthew Stafford playing close
to a perfect football game out there with Puka Nakua
not exactly perfect off the field, but on.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
The field, he's had a week, to say the least.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
Yeah, he's had a month. He's had a year. This week,
though it's the last couple of days. I will say
this though, How old is he? How old is he?
I don't I don't excuse all young behavior, but I
do try to be kind when I can, because I
remember how stupid I was when I was younger. And
I don't think he intentionally made the gesture knowing what

(27:04):
it meant.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
He's twenty four years old, and I do believe that
he was. Probably it was just born out of ignorance
more than anything else. I don't think he had knowledge
of what he was doing, and if he did, he
can't be that stupid.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
Well, so the streamer, whoever was kind of setting him
up by going quick to You're like, now do this,
now do this motion, Now do this hand gesture. I
might have fallen for it too. If I'm just playing
red Light green Light like that or Simon says do
this like that could happen. He apologized for it. Now
for him to make another mistake right after the game

(27:35):
is over and rip the officials again, which was the
initial infraction by him.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
You're just not learning your lesson.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
And by the way, this is a string of events
this season though, Adam too, because there was something that
didn't really get reported that much about a month ago
where he was live streaming in the RAMS locker room,
which is something you're not supposed to do, and a
couple of veterans are like, dude, what are you doing.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
Stop doing that, And so you.

Speaker 4 (27:56):
Can't do that twenty four hour fitness you can get
in trouble exactly.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
So people have some saus for that same that streamer,
Aiden Ross. I've heard of him. I don't know a
whole lot about him.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
He has a huge following, bigger than me, so whatever
by all means, he tried to bring him and his
crew into the RAMS facility, and the RAMS officials were like, no,
you didn't clear this. We're not just going to bring
some random streamers in here because you're Pookingaku and you
played for the team. That's not how it works. So
they weren't allowed in. They do a stream somewhere else.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
Anyway.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
That's where he makes his comments that went viral this week,
talking about the officials, you know, wanting the spotlight on him, which,
by the way, I don't know if he's one hundred
percent wrong, at least at the very least, I know
there's a perception out there that there are certain officials
that do love to be in the limelight. The one
that sticks out to me the most is Gene Sterotor, who,
ironically enough, is now a TV if you want to

(28:44):
call it, star analyst, rules analysts, whatever you want to
call it.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
For CBS worked out in his favor.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
I guess yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
You remember, if you don't remember, there was a game
between the Cowboys and the Raiders some years ago, uh,
and there was a they still have the Chain Gang
at that point.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
They don't have it is year now that everything's digital.
In the Chain Gang.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
It was so close they couldn't determine whether or not
it was a first down. So Sterator has this giant
smug smile on his face, walks up with the index card,
puts it down, walks in front of the camera and
signals first down in favor of Dallas, and a lot
of it just seemed like grandstanding to a lot of
people that seemed it was very unnecessary.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
Well, and it's not just unique to football. In baseball,
you get umps once in a while that are trying
to do their best Leslie Nielsen naked gun impersonation behind
the mound or really delaying a call to make it
more dramatic and to put more of a focal point
on them. And then, depending on if you want to
believe him or not, the phone for you. We've had

(29:38):
Tim Donahue on the show before a couple of different times,
but he wrote in his book that I think Dick
Bavetta and Joey Jr. We're watching footage of them TV
footage of themselves and seeing how they looked on camera,
and now you got and I love him. But Billy
Kennedy knows he's got this booming voice and could take
any of our jobs at any time. And we all

(30:00):
talk about it. Every broadcast broadcaster on the call or
play by play man talks about it. He almost hams
it up a little bit when he's going over to
review something. So I don't think to your point, like
you were saying, it would be that crazy to believe that.
Now should he have said.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
It, of course not. It's ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
You know that you can't say these sort of things
about officials, even if it's true. There's a way to
be politically correct about the answer of Aiden Ross and
his boys are egging you on, and I was like, ah,
you know, I don't want to say anything to get
myself in trouble, so I'm not gonna say anything and
wink at the camera whatever you could do something like that.
But he's trying to be cool, and look, I think
he's kind of feeling himself too. He's one of the

(30:40):
best receivers in the NFL because by the way he
weathered all of that, all self inflicted, by the way
to have the best game of his life, which is
saying something. Because he's had a hell of a first
couple of years here in the NFL. He's gonna get
paid because talent gets paid regardless of any all field
issues that they have. But you know, he might not
get paid as much as he's thinking, you know, or

(31:00):
the market might not be as robust because people are
gonna think about this sort of thing and think, yes,
talent does play, and if you have a certain amount
of ability, you know, we'll put up with so much.
But if you're a pr nightmare, a lot of teams
are gonna be shying away from wanting to bring you
in because they just don't want to have to deal
with the potential backlash.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
This is something we should ask Brady Papinga about a
little bit later in the show here, because well, he
also played for the Rams back in the day for
a little bit. But also he knows situations like this
with guys chasing the limelight, and we could also ask
him about the officials. I guess here, but sure, like
on the field, he's unbelievable. Sometimes I don't know exactly

(31:40):
why he's so good and so elite. I'm looking at
him running, I'm like, Okay, he's not the fastest guy
out there. I don't know if his routes are the best.
His hands are really good, really strong. He's got a
great quarterback that's gonna win the MVP most likely in
Matt Stafford. But he just finds ways to get open.
There's certain guys like that. Even Jerry Rice ran a

(32:03):
four point six.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
I'll say Jerry Rice was that Jerry Rice. He wasn't
jumping over people like Brandy Moss. He wasn't running away. Now,
he was good with the ball in his hands when
he would get hitting stride. But to your point, wasn't
the fastest, wasn't the tallest, wasn't the strongest.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
Was he just found ways to get open.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
Some guys are just so instinctual and just fine pockets
in the zone or able to get enough separation, or
they're just good enough route runners and they do everything
so well they don't really have a major weakness, even
if they're not elite elite to anything. He is a
very good athlete. Though we saw him. I think he
played in one of the NBA Celebrity Games during All

(32:37):
Star weekend. Not that anybody watched that.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
I was gonna say, Okay, sure they still do that.

Speaker 4 (32:42):
Kevin Hart was out there somewhere, I think, but I
think he had a big throwdown and I was like, wow,
that actually looked like because I had seen in the
past with what's his name, formerly of Seattle, now with Pittsburgh,
the former wide receiver for the Seahawks now catching passes.
DK Metcalf is an athletic freak. And I saw him

(33:03):
dunk the basketball before, and you can see the separation
in athleticism between a guy like that dunking versus an
NBA player, and it's like, oh, you can tell it's
not the same Poka Dunky. It looked closer to an
NBA guy Dunky. I have to say, and I'm not
just talking about the vertical but the finesse of it,
the ease of it, the coordination of it. Coordination might

(33:26):
be a big part of maybe what I'm missing here
with him and why he is so damn dominant to
have two hundred and twenty five yards or whatever it
was and also catch no look passes for Matthew Stafford.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
Well, to get back to how we open this thing
up talking about this potentially being a matchup between the
two best teams and the NFC coming out of this
game on Thursday night with just a handful of games left.
I mean, is that kind of the takeaway for you?
At the very least? Is there anybody else that's in
that discussion. I guess the only other teams that would
be up there will be Philadelphia if you want to
throw a green band.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
Chicago record wise, they're up there too.

Speaker 3 (33:57):
Do you see any of those teams, I guess, posing
much of a threat to either of those two or
do you think now based on the seating, it seems
like the Rams in Seattle, if they face face off
for a third time, is probably going to be in
an indivisional round, which would be a travesty, but that's
probably how things are set up at this point in time.
But do you see any other team of the NFC
being in their class?

Speaker 4 (34:16):
Well, the forty nine ers being able to get to
the number one seed if they went out kind of
through a wrench in my thinking.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
I guess the probingly about the forty nine ers is
people thought they'd have a good year this year, but
not because they're good, but because their.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
Schedule is so weak.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
Yeah, and that's kind of played itself out despite all
the injuries they've had. They have a mass unit on defense,
it's unrecognizable. They're the defensive units.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
Well, but it's funny find themselves there.

Speaker 6 (34:39):
No.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Yeah, and the one guy who's actually stayed relatively healthy.
Is the guy you expected to be injured in Christian McCaffrey.
So that's been huge for them. And now they got
their quarterback back in Purty, and I don't think there's
any quarterback controversy going on anymore, like we talked about
maybe a month into the season. But I just think
the number one seed is such a big deal and

(35:01):
having to drop. Even though I think Seattle and the
Rams are better than the forty nine ers, if you
don't win the division, you're fifth in the NFC, You're
a wild card team. The road is so much tougher
because of the way they slotted the divisions in two
thousand and two, with four teams in every division. I
think it screwed things up a little bit, and we've

(35:21):
seen this over the years. Speaking of Seattle, Yeah, you
can win the division at what seven and nine and
host a playoff game. I don't love that. So I
still feel like they better hope the forty nine ers
lose one of these two teams, because if not, the
Rams could look back at this as the reason they
ended up not getting to the super Bowl. Honestly, that

(35:44):
may sound hyperbolic, but I thought they were good enough
where if they had the number one seed and you
had to go to LA the entire way, I felt
pretty confident that I would pick the Rams to come
out of the NFC. Now, if you've got to go
out on the road, if they don't win the division,
that's a whole different ball game.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
Absolutely, Up next to one of my favorite segments, Geek
News featuring Adams twelve what is it.

Speaker 4 (36:04):
Called alternative rock?

Speaker 6 (36:08):
No?

Speaker 4 (36:08):
Alternative twelve Films of Christmas. That's what we got for you,
just like we did for Thanksgiving. Some under the radar
Christmas movies. If it took place during Christmas, it's a
Christmas movie.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
All right, we'll get into that. Coming up next to
youre fn A on FSR.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
Do listen to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 5 (36:27):
This place is dead anyway, MANE F and A cotton.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
F and A on FSR. Here on Fox Sports Radio
it is Fox Football Saturday. Let's get to it, Adam
and we have a lot of time. Let's go.

Speaker 4 (36:45):
What's new loan Denman, If you're playing D and D tonight,
you want to come.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Cases lit'sten guys will be chose that.

Speaker 5 (36:51):
I've been chining online with fabs.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
All day just keep your power clubs off he couch, right, Kennel.
So you might have heard Christmas is next third. No,
we will not talk to you between now and then.
So it is time to release Adam's alternative twelve films
of Christmas Movies like Christmas Story, White Christmas, A Wonderful Life,
or even die Hard will be left off of this list.

(37:15):
And die Hard is a Christmas movie in my mind,
because I say, any movie that takes place during Christmas
can by definition be a Christmas movie.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
What if a portion of it takes place during Chrismas,
but it's not a dominant theme of said film.

Speaker 4 (37:27):
Totally fine, Okay, you can stuff that in your stocking
and shut it. It's a stupid played out debate, that
whole die Hard thing. It's the new just ketchup along
on a hot dog during the holidays. I don't know.
Here's my twelve films. We start with this lethal weapon.
It's a Christmas movie and Joe Silver, the producer Joel Silver,

(37:48):
purposely placed movies during the season in hopes they would
be played more, therefore more residual checks. This was planned
that way. And Mel Gibson's Man By the Way, where
he twitches and jitters with his delivery. He might be
into a little bit of snow himself. And they do
start things off at a Christmas tree farm. That's number one.

(38:10):
Number two, yep, I know a guy named Edward Scissorhands,
and that's a Christmas movie. It is. They even have
a scene where he creates a white Christmas for the
whitest of white women. Why Nona writer, She was white
hot and any gifts you got from her also might
be hot because she was a klepto back then. Batman

(38:31):
returns Christmas Movie with Michelle Pfeiffer looking hot enough to
melt your icicle when she's given Batman that kiss under
the missilete Stanley Kubrick's film Eyes Wide Shut Christmas Movie.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
I never saw it.

Speaker 4 (38:47):
Remember that Nicole Kidman bought Tom Cruise lifts for Christmas
so he could be tall enough to kiss her under
the tree. American Psycho with Christian Bale Christmas Movie. There's
a festive Christmas party in it. Now, he didn't want
to be there, but it happened. I don't know if
Hugh were losing the News had a Christmas album, But

(39:08):
that's a Christmas movie like lethal weapon. Gremlins also starts
on a Christmas tree farm Christmas movie. Just because they
eat Santa Claus doesn't mean it can't be a Christmas movie.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
It has been Soul lossince I've seen that movie, I
totally forgot about that.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
Here's a couple of dark comedies in Bruges with Colin Ferrell.
Christmas movie Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. Michelle Monagan dresses up
as a sexy Missus Clause Christmas movie The ref with
Kevin Spacey He Was Naughty Better Watch Out is a
full on Christmas movie with a kid obsessed like swim
fan with his babysitter and he re enacts the scene

(39:45):
from Home Alone where he's got the traps for her
boyfriend and he's hitting them with a paint can. Yeah,
it's rough crampis that's like the Christmas Devil. Yes, the
one with Adam Scott. Obvious Christmas movie. And finally here
and maybe the most obvious because it's it's in the name.

(40:05):
It's at least a Christmas special. It was called, and
I think it's the best Christmas special two thousand and
fours Trailer Park Boys Xmas Special.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
Okay, I thought you were going to talk about the
Star Wars Christmas Special, Kevin, I thought that was your favorite.

Speaker 2 (40:22):
Who doesn't love Wookie? Talk for twenty street Man?

Speaker 4 (40:25):
Yeah, without subtitles too. Trailer Park Boys not even as
drunk as the Star Wars Christmas Special with Jim Lahey
and all. I actually watched that one every year.

Speaker 3 (40:37):
Okay, because I was say, is that your favorite of
the entire group?

Speaker 4 (40:40):
It's my go to. I don't drink anymore, but I
can watch them drink and make fools of themselves.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
Back to the Trailer Park they're perfect. Well, you can
have a drink or not, it's up to you.

Speaker 3 (40:50):
But coming up next, we have the six pack, the
NFL six Pack here on fn A on FSR.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
Don't go anywhere.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio our two.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
Of FNA on FSR here on Fox Football Saturday.

Speaker 3 (41:03):
Hit us up on the Socials at KFIG one and
that follow out of me, I got a couple of
you guys checking in. Gunnar Thomas checks in again, Big
lou of course, Big love to you, Gunnar Thomas, one
of your panther brother in there.

Speaker 4 (41:16):
Adam, Well, I don't know if I can say that anymore.
After what happened.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
Oh okay, last week, bandwagon yet again.

Speaker 4 (41:22):
You know what, We'll get into it. We'll get into it,
I'm sure here at some point.

Speaker 3 (41:26):
Coming up, coming up in our next segment will be
Brady Papina, eight year NFL veterans Super Bowl champion with
the Green Bay Packers, will hop on to talk a
little CFP and NFL with us. But right now we
got to get to the NFL six pack.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
Mark time for the NFL six pack.

Speaker 4 (41:46):
As you could have guessed, six categories involving the NFL,
starting with.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
This one hot seed heat check.

Speaker 4 (41:53):
Self explanatory.

Speaker 3 (41:54):
Yeah, coacher player under the most pressure this coming weekend, Adam,
you want to start, you want me to start.

Speaker 4 (41:59):
I'll go here, all right. I'm gonna say the game
of football is on the hot seat for me. The
entire NFL is on the hot seat. After all the
injuries we saw last week.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
I thought you were gonna say, you're backing up with
the President said saying we need to change the name
of American football or something like that.

Speaker 4 (42:17):
Okay, I'm not going there, all right, I would not
do that. I'm still an NFL FI guy unless they
wanted to change it to NFL F Yeah, as the full.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
Name, that's different.

Speaker 4 (42:30):
But with all the critical season ending and possible career
altering injuries last week you got Michael Parson's torn ACL,
Patrick Mahomes torn ACL, Davante Adams with the hammy, Christian
Watson chest pain, maybe sore nipples. I think the Broncos
gave him like a purple nurple. But earlier in the
season you had these guys all tear their acls, Nick Bosa,

(42:54):
Malik Neighbors, Tyreek Hill, Tucker Kraft, zach Ertz, Martshawn Lattimore,
Najie Hair, and Daniel Jones. They both tore their achilles.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
And by the way, Daniel Jones also had a broken
fibula that he had been playing going for god knows
how long leading up to the achilles.

Speaker 4 (43:09):
There what is stud There's been like a Madden ambulance,
just permanently parked in the middle of the field, ready
at all times to run over players and create new
injuries on their way to attending to the next hurt player.

Speaker 3 (43:22):
Just plowing through the entire roster as they make their
way onto the field. That's basically what it is now.

Speaker 4 (43:25):
According to the NFLPA figures three hundred and nine players
have been placed on the IR through fifteen weeks, which
is actually slightly down from three hundred and nineteen through
fifteen weeks in twenty twenty four, but it's still way
up compared to two hundred and seventy four through this
point in twenty twenty three. Also, entering week fifteen, fifty

(43:46):
nine players were on the IR with torn knee ligaments,
and another eleven players have had their season's n due
to a torn Achilles tendon. Maybe we should hold off
on the whole eight eighteen game season idea, where I
think we're only five years in to seventeen game seasons.

(44:07):
Perhaps we should grow into it a little bit and
monitor the situation with the injuries and just see what's
happening here, because I know they've gotten more protective with
the players, yet guys are getting more hurt than ever.
It could just be they're too explosive for their own good.
They've gotten too big, too strong, too fast. But unfortunately, though,
as you say all the time, Kevin as Rick Neuheisel

(44:31):
always says.

Speaker 2 (44:32):
The answer is money. Now, what's the question.

Speaker 4 (44:36):
It might be cynical, but I think it's just realistic
to assume we'll get to eighteen games and then twenty
game seasons in the next fifteen years because we prioritize
money over everything else in the league. Will do some
BS study where they say, there's no evidence that guys
getting are getting in car accidents every game that are
doing it more. There's no evidence that's actually proven out
by the data that leads to more injuries according to

(44:58):
our much very much so unbiased, impartial, independent investigations. That's
what they'll say.

Speaker 2 (45:04):
Yeah, and by the way, oh now look, I'll say
this too.

Speaker 3 (45:07):
The players, if there are more games that are played,
the more money that comes in, they're more money that.

Speaker 2 (45:11):
They get too.

Speaker 3 (45:12):
But it seems like at least most of the players
that I have I guess unofficially pulled on this, the
great majority of them do not want extra games, even
if it comes with extra paycheck, because that's just extra
wear and tear in an extra game where they can
have a devastating injury that can cut into their career.

Speaker 2 (45:27):
So I certainly understand why they have that sentiment.

Speaker 4 (45:29):
You get injured, you're not gonna make as much money exactly.
You see, contracts aren't as ironclad as they are in
the NBA or MLB. What about your hot Sea heat
check code.

Speaker 3 (45:38):
I'm gonna go with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and most
specifically Top Bowls if they find a way to potentially
miss the postseason, which might happen now. By the way, Adam,
I'll tell you this. I said last week the Saints
were coming and that they're bringing the brooms with them.

Speaker 4 (45:51):
Have few.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
That's exactly what happened. Wow, so.

Speaker 3 (45:55):
So as that happened with that result a couple of
Tampa Bay losing to the foul Plkins last Thursday, it
sets up an epic matchup for NFC South supremacy, a
matchup we.

Speaker 2 (46:05):
Were only going to see twice in the next three weeks.

Speaker 3 (46:08):
Yes, Bucks and Panthers both have seven to seven records
going into Sunday's matchup. And this is no disrespect to
your Panthers at them. They're playing with house money, I find,
to be honest with you, The over under coming into
the season for them was six and a half victories.
They've already passed that, so they've already had a great
season on their part.

Speaker 2 (46:25):
It's great.

Speaker 4 (46:25):
I still feel like I should take the under. I
still feel like there's no way they can go over
that number.

Speaker 3 (46:30):
They can lose half a game between now and Sunday.
I'd venture to guess the majority of the money came
in on the under, because honestly.

Speaker 2 (46:36):
I thought six and a half was optimistic.

Speaker 3 (46:38):
But they play well and find themselves at seven to
seven with a chance to compete for the NFC South Championship.
At this point in time, I think nobody expected Tampa
Bay to be here, though either you didn't expect Carolina
to be seven and seven. I think most people thought
at this point this season Tampa Bay will probably be
in a position where they can rest up some starters
in the last few weeks, get themselves into the postseason

(46:58):
and comfortably win the INN South. And that just has
not been the case. Remember, there were six and two
to start the season. People were talking about Baker Mayfield
potentially being an MVP candidate and all that. All that
has come crashing down the last two months of the season.
And I realize a lot of that is due to injury,
and that's a valid reason, so I can definitely vouch
for that. But people who have been long standy Buccaneer

(47:19):
fans and believe it or not, Adam, I know two
people who are very big Buccaneer fans.

Speaker 4 (47:23):
That must have been rough for you during the Super
Bowl against your Raiders.

Speaker 1 (47:25):
You will not.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
Thankfully one of them I hadn't met yet now the
one still gives me crap to.

Speaker 2 (47:30):
This day for it.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
Trust Raiders, especially now that they've won two Super Bowl
since you know, one over the Raiders and then they
won the one a couple of years ago.

Speaker 2 (47:37):
Over Kansas City.

Speaker 3 (47:38):
But so if you're a long standy Buck fan, they
say this late season lol has been part of a
disturbing trend for top bowls. So last year there were
four and six before finishing ten and seven. The year
before that there were four and seven before finishing nine
to eight. So this season they could end up being
in the reverse where they started hot but then end
up stumbling down the stretch. And each of those seasons
they did end up winning the division. But Bucks fans

(48:01):
feel that the team has weigh too many lolls during
the regular season, too many losing streaks. There's a thought
that top Bowles always does just enough to ensure that
he doesn't get fired at the end of the season,
that he's one of those type of coaches. So despite
three straight division titles under Bulls, they've won four straight,
but one of those was under Bruce Arians, so they've
won three with Bowles as they head coach. I think
he is most definitely on the hot seat here. We

(48:23):
can argue whether it's fair, maybe it's not, but it's
definitely reality, and I think he knows that. Otherwise, I
don't think he goes off on his team publicly the
way that he did after last week's lost.

Speaker 4 (48:33):
Oh so, so, what do you mean? What did he say, Kevin?
What happened post game?

Speaker 2 (48:40):
Cuss words?

Speaker 3 (48:41):
Yeah, a lot of them, basically saying, don't blame the coaches, man,
We're doing our jobs.

Speaker 2 (48:45):
The players got to go out there and play.

Speaker 3 (48:47):
We're doing the best weekend players got to go out
there and show up and execute. And it's very rare
that you see a head coach say something like that.
And when you start talking that sort of talk in
the public eye, I think you're kind of reaching desperation
mode to a certain degree. Oh, this is as close
to a must win game for the Buccaneers as there
can be, because if you lose to the Panthers, there's
no guarantee you're gonna beat Miami.

Speaker 2 (49:06):
The following week.

Speaker 3 (49:07):
Considering how inconsistent the Buccaneers have been this season, it's
very much of the rum up possibility. You lose this
game on Sunday, lose to Miami in a couple of weeks.
You find yourself in a meaningless game in week eighteen
because the Panthers are resting their starters on their way
to an NFC South championship.

Speaker 2 (49:23):
And a home game. Kevin Adam can only hope and wish.

Speaker 4 (49:25):
Of course, don't trying to make me go from six
to midnight or whatever. It ain't that type of party.
I'm not buying back in. But I'll talk more about
that later. In a separate category is we still have
five left in our NFL six pack. But up next,
Brady papinga Lee Get him on the phone. Brady popinga

as we have two games.

Speaker 2 (50:54):
As a matter of fact, we.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
Also have the college football Playoff kicked off on Friday.
Got a few handful of games coming up later today
as well. We have one of our favorites from the
old FNA podcast Days and former Fox Sports Radios joining
us let's get right to it.

Speaker 2 (51:06):
Adam Alan, Dragan Dad.

Speaker 4 (51:09):
Thank you, Gutty Well join the show right now. Is
a longtime friend and frequent guest back on the FNA
podcast before he joined up with Fox Sports Radio, a
place he once worked at. But before that, he was
a BYU cougar back when they would have been happy
just to be considered screw worthy by the playoff committee.
But he proved himself and was praised by the football

(51:29):
gods when he was crowned a Super Bowl champion with
the twenty eleven Packers. It's the swollest, strongest man I've
met that could flex his neck and snap a belt
in half like a staun in Beauty of the Beast.
It's big Brady papinga back on FNA and back on
Fox Sports Radio. Brady, good to hear from you, my friend.

Speaker 8 (51:47):
It's always good to jump on guys, always fun.

Speaker 4 (51:51):
Start with this. You know I saw you getting into
it with a different Brady, Brady Quinn a little bit
on X as both of your teams were left out
by the College Football Committee. Him with Notre Dame, you
with BYU. What's the argument, I guess, or what's the
crux of the issue you guys were talking about are
bold games meaningless? And then also I need to know,

(52:12):
can you make a better case for BYU getting in
than Notre Dame.

Speaker 8 (52:18):
Well, the first thing is the I don't know if
there was an argument, but it was a back and
forth because he made like a public service announcement for
Notre Dame almost I don't know, just claiming that it's
a good idea not to play. And I know Brady
really well and I know how competitive he is. I
know how much work he put into being a football player,

(52:40):
and to hear that come out of him seems so
odd because players always want to play. I mean, think
about it. I don't know you know about you guys.
When I was growing up playing little league football, it'd
be a little league game happening down the street. Guess
what I would go play. I wouldn't worry about oh, okay,
that is just gonna affect me for tomorrow. No, I

(53:01):
just wanted to go play. And so all of a sudden,
you have a football team who's the whole purpose of
it is to play football that now doesn't want to
play and being celebrated about that. That makes sense to
people to KidSing no, And that was my whole point
to him, is that there's not any circumstance if you
want to be a true player to where not playing

(53:24):
is an option. Now. I get it if you're an
NFL caliber guy and you want to preserve your draft stock,
because that's a business decision, But that doesn't mean that
that person who's opting out should dictate for the whole
other team of players whether they or not basically play,
because I guarantee there's a lot of other classmen there,
notre Dame, that are pissed off because they didn't get

(53:45):
the chance to continue to play and to continue to
develop their skills and to show themselves because guess what,
every year is an audition for these guys with the NLI.
Every year they got to re up. Every year, they're
also auditioning for other teams if they don't resign them,
because there's not a guarantee every single year, every single
player that played well is gonna come back if you know,
they find somebody in the portal that comes in and

(54:06):
gives them a better chance to win. So I just
look at it from that perspective where there's no way
in any world of being a player that it's good
not to play as a team, Like I said, if
it's NFL guys, it's a different store. And you know,
he felt like it was different. You know. Let's you know,
the Bowl games are worthless and it's like, okay, I

(54:26):
guess every every game then that between quotations doesn't mean
anything in the grand scheme of thing like springball, scrimmages whatever.
It is. Okay, all of a sudden, let's say your
team's out of contention for the playoffs, where you just
get all of a sudden, you know, opt out of
the rest of the season. You know, where does it stop?
Like what are we talking about here? So to me,
it just didn't make any logical sense from the perspective

(54:48):
of Brady Quinn, who I know is a phenomenal competitor,
love to play the game played in Cleveland where they
never wear a playoff contention. So what I guess you
should have just opted out not to play they're out
of playoff contention? Did it make sense?

Speaker 1 (55:02):
That was my beast.

Speaker 3 (55:03):
Brady Popinga joining us here on the f Anda podcast.
Super Bowl champion, eight year NFL veteran here joining us.
I don't know if I want to call it Devil's advocate,
but I guess I can understand a certain degree if
you're Notre Damon. You've been told by this committee for
six weeks that you are worthy, and all of a sudden,
at the eleventh hour you're not. Just your outlook on
the selection process and how this whole thing played out,
the Miami Notre Dame controversy, Alabama making it in just

(55:27):
how this selection process played out in general, and if
there should be any changes from your standpoint, and how
they select who makes the playoff and who doesn't.

Speaker 8 (55:34):
Well, yeah, I think i'd expand it. You know. I
think you go up to twenty four so odd teams,
maybe twenty I think that's a really nice number because
that's going to encompass all these outlayers. And I'm going
to tell you story, guys. In two thousand and four,
I played against this unsupposed, unbelievable, the best team ever
at USC right Matt line of Reggie Bush the guys.

(55:57):
And then in the end of the year, I played
this Utah U team with Alex Smith as the quarterbacker,
reminders a head coach, and I left the Utah game thinking, dude,
if these if USC played Utah, Utah beats them ten
out of ten times, there's no way they're on the
same old level. And Utah never had that chance. So sure,
like in the general population, they'll look at USC and

(56:20):
be like, oh, that's an unbelievable team, blah blah blah blah.
But in my mind, as the competitor, I'm like, I
don't know. So there's this doubt, there's this essence of
there's not this undisputed sense. So and I told that
to Matt Lionerp by the way, and he was so offended.
I mean he was like, oh, how bitch you said that.
You know, everybody's like, but that's how we felt. That's

(56:40):
literally we felt that Utah could have beat them, and
the fact that that never was put on trial on
the field was a travesty to both USC and Utah
because USC can't say they were undisputed. So we got
to get this to the point where we can say that,
because if you're Notre Dame right now, I guarantee you
they're thinking, if you put us in that tournament, we
can win, and that'll be the asterisk on this year

(57:03):
of the twenty twenty five season is is whoever wins
the championship. We can say we could, we could have
beat them, but nobody ever gave us a chance. And
that's what we're trying to avoid here. So I think
you get up to twenty teams, Notre Dame has to
help themselves too, because guess why, I'm not saying that
about YU. I'm not mad about BYU, by the way.
Why they had every chance to beat Texas Tech and

(57:26):
get in, So I'm not even like they did not
win their game to get in and you don't leave
it up to a committee. Okay, So I'm not bitter
about that with them. They need to get into a conference.
That's the bat line. They need to get into the
big ten SEC, whatever makes them the most money. They
need to keep their exclusive TV deal because whatever conference
they go into, they're just by being there that that

(57:49):
logo Notre Dame is going to add tremendous value and
you know every game is gonna sell out and it's
gonna be huge, but they don't. It doesn't mean that
they have to give up this exclusive TV deal that
they have with NBC and doesn't mean they have to
share any of that. But they just need to get
in a league and operate from a standpoint where if
there is a championship game, they should have the opportunity

(58:09):
to play that it's not okay, well, at least you're
in the league that there's at least some comparables there.
You know, they were such a wacky schedule. I think
even going forward, it's going to continue to be this
way where you're not going to get a feel for
them outside of play Texas A and m and Miami
and both of them were lost. There is really where
they stand, and especially at the end of the year

(58:29):
because guess where everybody gets better, Everybody improves and changes
by the end of the year. So they got to
get into a conference, so I want to see it.
It's where it grows. Get more teams in there so
we can finally have an undisputed champion and also make
it if Notre Dame, get into a conference, keep your
exclusive deal, make all the money you possibly can plus some,

(58:51):
but get there so there can be a better judgment
of where you're at. And like I said, if there's
a championship game, playing the game, that also helped solve
the issue whether you belonger you're not.

Speaker 2 (59:01):
Brady Butpinger joining us here on FNA on FSR.

Speaker 3 (59:04):
Before we talk about what happened on Thursday night on
the field between the Seattle Seahawks and the LA Rams,
which was just an epic game, phenomenal game. Let's talk
about Pooka Nakua, who had a great game himself. But
before that some controversy about what he said and what
he did, and thankfully he apologized for what he did
on that live stream with Aiden Ross. But I think
made it even a bigger story was what he said
about NFL officials and that some of these guys like

(59:26):
to have the spotlight and intentionally get calls wrong just
so that they can grants stand and put themselves out
on front street. You played eight years in the NFL,
did you get us since that there were some of
these NFL referees who kind of enjoyed the spotlight a
little bit and might make a controversial caller too, just
so that they can have the cameras on them.

Speaker 8 (59:43):
Never the refts are under as much scrutiny now as
maybe ever in the history of any refing committee ever
because of video review, and they're getting graded every single week.
As you notice, not every single ref that wants to
be in the NFL is reffing in the NFL, which
in wise there's a performance level that has to be

(01:00:03):
matched here else you don't retain your job. So they
have every incentive to call the game as they see
it according to the rule book that they've learned, and
they're gonna easily be judged because there's cameras everywhere. So
this isn't like, you know, you can hide away and
do these little tricky things here. It's not that way.
And I just think Puka's getting to this thing, and
I get it. Get he's getting to this point where

(01:00:24):
he knows he's gonna get paid big bucks, and it's
like and maybe in his mind he's been leveraging his
like relationships in the sense of, hey, I'm gonna be
nice to this guy and that guy to help move
me along. And all of a sudden, when you get
money and you know, the term is the FU money,
but you know the other stuff where it's like you

(01:00:45):
can pretty much just anybody that you were kind of
leveraging to kind of rise up, you can just flip
your bird to him into FU, right, And I think
that's kind of where he's at, where he just doesn't care.
He's losing his mind. He's just being extra ra plus
with his comments and you know, his expression of his
thoughts to where it's like the ironic part is he's

(01:01:06):
actually making it more difficult, not to the point where it's,
you know, a deal breaker, it's all of a sudden
the point of no return, but he's making it more
difficult for this situation eventually resolve itself with him getting
a big deal, because it's like, bro, who cares how
good you are? There's a certain tolerance level to any
talent level that a team can handle, especially a team

(01:01:27):
in Los Angeles. It's in a microscope that has a
lot of following, and it's gonna, as he's noticed, is
going to have a lot of sway and things are
going to really hit in certain ways with people if
you say or do something. So he's got it. He's
got to kind of come back down to earth. And
just because you get you're getting paid, that's not going
to change you. You're still gonna have to play hard.
You're still gonna have to be gritty, You're still gonna

(01:01:48):
have to be humble, You're still gonna have to have
motivation to go out there and get better doesn't change
any of that. So I just feel like the money,
potential money he's gonna earn is is kind of getting
him in this reckless mode where he thinks he could
just get away with saying and do whatever he wants.
That is not reality. And again that's concerning if I'm
the team because if you ask any just so you know,
any GM or contract negotiating the NFL, that is a

(01:02:11):
huge factor of whether they pay a guy, or how
much they pay a guy, or how how much they
guarantee money to a guy. Is that money gonna change it?
And right now, if I'm negotiating from the Rams perspective,
I'm like, yeah, we're gonna franchise tag this sucker. We're
not going to give him long term deals, you know.
And that's bad for Pukah. So he's got to get
his mind right, get back to doing what he's doing.

(01:02:32):
What would being a good teammate, continue to make plays,
continue to be a grinder, but just get out of
the media. Man lay Low be low maintenance. Right now,
he's high maintenance. The fact that your coach after the
game has to respond to a text I'm talking. I
don't think it was like what three many. I think
it was less than thirty minutes after the game. All
of a sudden, you're as a head coach having to

(01:02:53):
respond to a text of one of your players.

Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
Yeah, that's what will send about fifteen minutes after the
game ended there, Brady.

Speaker 8 (01:02:58):
Yeah, that's a bad deal, man. It's just bad all
round bad. So he's got to get his mind right.
That's the ball because he's not helping himself at all.

Speaker 4 (01:03:06):
Wise words from Brady Pabingo with us here on f
and a on FSR on the field though, Brady, would
you say those are the two best teams that played
on Thursday night in the NFC right now?

Speaker 8 (01:03:17):
Oh, they were looking at it. That was crazy. By
the way, I was at a like a tavern. Now
I'm not you know, drinking alcohol and stuff. It's actually
a church activity. His arms arounded by all these RAMS fans.
I think it was electric.

Speaker 4 (01:03:30):
Man.

Speaker 8 (01:03:30):
I felt like I was at the game but watching
on TV because every big play, you know, the rams
would make the whole place is pretty roughed, and it
was like deafening the cheering. So that's cool to see.

Speaker 4 (01:03:39):
You know.

Speaker 8 (01:03:40):
Everybody always wondered when the Rams did come back with
at Los Angeles. You know, from even the grassroots level
when they opened their arms to the Rams. It's great
to see that they are and it's great to see
everybody rallying around the Rams. But yeah, I mean when
the Rams were up, I think, what was it, you know,
a couple of touchdowns late in the fourth quarter or
the early fourth quarter, I was like, yeah, they're the
best team in the n I thought that. I was like, man,

(01:04:01):
they're I have I'm like thinking the Broncos, you know,
these other teams like the Eagles. Man's I'm thinking they're
the best team. And all of a sudden, the Seahawks
come back and win the game, and then you're like, wow,
man they obviously it's up in Seattle. But but for sure,
I think you have to for surely consider where we're
at in the season and how these teams have played.

(01:04:22):
Those two is two of the top teams. And how
about San Donald you know, I mean, go Lee. We
were almost saying the same thing about the Vikings last year.
You know, you get some of that following a guy
that tends to validate a position of a guy. But
but yeah, I mean, they're they're very well, very well
balanced across the board. Both those teams where they have,
you know, guys that are physical and tough running game

(01:04:44):
offensively and defensively, and then they got athletes of playmakers
with speed, with quarterbacks that are competitive and sometimes request
but they end up making up for it with some
phenomenal throws and and so on. So I mean, yeah,
there's I would say that those are two of the
top teams. I'm still goodna say that the Eagles are
the number one team until somebody knocks them off. But

(01:05:04):
you know we'll get a chance to see that. You know,
we'll get a chance to have this all planed out
on the football field, but just the eye tests, yeah,
I mean in the NFC, those are the two of
the top probably three or four teams in the NFC
for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:05:18):
So among that group of three or four, how does
it check out with the NFC North. You have the
Bears that a Green Bay Packers playing again this weekend,
a rematch from a couple of weeks ago. Green Bay
got out to a big lead, Chicago fought all the
way back before Caleb.

Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
Williams do a pick in the end zone.

Speaker 3 (01:05:30):
Obviously, both teams dealing with some pretty major injuries coming
into this matchup. But I think the Chicago Bears have
probably overblown what most people's expectations were for them coming
into this season. Just your assessment of Green Bay in
Chicago and how this matchup looks coming up on Sunday afternoon.

Speaker 8 (01:05:44):
Oh yeah, well, I mean I would be saying a
different tune if if our guy, I like blanked his name,
a guy towards the ACL last week. What's his name, MICHAEH.

Speaker 3 (01:05:53):
Parsons in that game of Saturday night by tonight later tonight.
Excuse me, yes, Michael Parsons towards.

Speaker 8 (01:05:58):
Yeah, yeah, Parsons, dude too in my head, but that
Micah Parsons, that injury was brutal. We don't know how
they're going to sponk Us. When he showed up to
Green Bay, their whole defense wasn't a team had a
different confidence and swagger about it. Man. It was like
they felt like they could beat anyway. They were talking
about going undefeated, blah blah blah. As soon as he

(01:06:21):
went down, you could sense there was like some air
let out of their confidence balloon. And so, I I
don't know what's going to happen with that defense to
the Packers. I mean, they went from being in my opinion,
right of the upper exchelon of elite to now, I
don't know, because that's going to be the indicator, you know,
that's the dictator, The thing that dictates this whole thing
is that defense.

Speaker 1 (01:06:40):
Now.

Speaker 8 (01:06:41):
You know, a lot of is playing phenomenal. We'll see
with Christian Watson on his shoulder holds up because you know,
I think he subluxt it a little bit where pops
in and out, and that can affect you, especially if
you're going after those fifty fifty balls. He may not
be as aggressive, you know, he's that deep threat that
just blows the top off the defense and the complements
their power running game with josh As. But yeah, I

(01:07:01):
don't know, man like that right now, Without Michael Parsons,
Packers are a mischief to me. Bears, on the other hand,
are kind of going to the other direction. Man. They're
gaining confidence every single week and the way they're playing,
the edge with which they're playing. You know, Ben Johnson's
done a phenomenal job of just figuring these guys out,
you know, especially Caleb Williams. Guys playing really good. Now,

(01:07:23):
I find the kind of plane in a structure. In
addition to his athletic ability, his ability to throw and
and move is as good or better than I've ever
seen it. By the way, I saw him at USC
a couple of years ago, and he threw this safety
yard across the field. Stay away pass. Okay, excuse me,
stay away jump pass. But I've never seen before. You know,

(01:07:44):
I've seen thousands of farms and Rogers throws, but nothing
like that. So anyway, it's nice to see it kind
of being calculative and put into a system that now
is reaping him some productive, you know, some good production.
But I think, man if I had a bet on
it right now, I've give the Bears the event. It's
just because they're whole, and you know, we just don't
know what that Micah Parsons effect is going to be

(01:08:05):
once the Packers go back out there.

Speaker 4 (01:08:07):
Brady, you brought him up there a second ago. When's
the last time you talked with your old quarterback? And
I mean that in two different ways.

Speaker 8 (01:08:14):
Now.

Speaker 4 (01:08:14):
Aaron Rodgers lately, he's been gaining a little bit of momentum.
The Steelers playing well, got the big victory over the Ravens.
What have you seen from him? And a guy who's
had to come back from an achilles injury still playing
late into his career.

Speaker 8 (01:08:27):
Now we can see that this year he's finally feeling
comfortable and is with his restructured achilles stand. I think
last year is very tentative. Now, granted, he's still older,
you know, And I don't care if you're a meathead
like myself or a quarterback. There comes a time where
you just get tired of either hitting or getting hit.

(01:08:48):
And he's there. He does not like to get hit,
and that's good. I mean, if he did like to
get hit, we'd have to go and do a psychanalysis
because that's not healthy, right, And so he's you know.
I mean, I think the make the playoffs, they'll kind
of squeak in there, make some noise, but they're not
going anywhere, you know. I mean, it's just when you
play the like when you play the Denver Broncos with

(01:09:09):
their pass rush, Aaron's going to have a problem because
he's not going to be able to sit in there
like he used to do when he's younger and just throw
balls in the face of pressure and in the face
of inevitable pain when you're just getting you know, slammed
by the Nido or whoever. On the other side of
the orange crush, they go oorne crush, I think now defense,

(01:09:30):
So you know, like I think it's great. I know
he's trying to go out on a high note, which
makes sense, you know. I mean the last couple of
years in the Jets, it's just a disaster and it's like, yeah,
here you are a Hall of Famer. It's like, that's
not how to a way to end your career, you know.
So I think he's trying to bookend it with some
positivity and I think he's going to get that to
a degree. But you know, they're not they're not contentives,
you know. I think that's the biggest thing. But but

(01:09:52):
will they be there in the wild card and you know,
make the playoffs. I think they're on that track. I
mean they lead the AFC worth right now from last
time I checked, So that's a pause. But but yeah,
you can see that. And Tom Brady, by the way,
I have the same tendency when he got older, and
I don't know, if you guys watched Philip River, you
know he was really big, you know, they just don't

(01:10:13):
like to get hit man, you know, and that's and
that's okay. And Aaron's at that point where the pressure
around him just is really affecting and then he's dealing
with his wrist and you know that's been fractured, and
so it just it's it just it complicates the playing
at the quarterback position because but people don't realize is
you have to be able to keep your eyes downfield,

(01:10:33):
steal the rush, and then, in spite of getting absolutely
obliterated without being able to brace yourself, throw the ball accurately.
I mean that is it's one of the most i
would say merciless positions to be And that's why I
hated quarterback when they tried playing me at quarterback when
I was a Literally, it's not fun being the hit.
He it's a lot more enjoyable being the hitter. And

(01:10:54):
I don't care how much more money that guy made
to me. I'll get it to him. You could take.

Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
It makes sense to me.

Speaker 3 (01:11:00):
Brady before before we let you go here, because you
talked about the hierarchy of the NFC, how about the AFC.
The Denver Broncos currently the top seed, you have the Patriots,
in there. The Bills can still chase down New England
for that division. So how do you see the AFC
as far as Super Bowl contenders go? Because Denver, their
offense seems to have turned the corner recently these last
couple of weeks. Their defense has been dominant all season long,

(01:11:21):
and all of a sudden you look at teams like Houston,
their defense has been phenomenal and their offense has improved too.
They can potentially make some noise as well. Just what
is your thought or outlook on the hierarchy in the
AFC And who's a I guess contender or pretender for
the for that cliche.

Speaker 8 (01:11:34):
Yeah, yeah, I mean the Broncos. At first, I was
really doubting their longevity. I don't know why. I just
didn't steal the vibe. But after I saw them play
the Packers, I mean after I've seen them play a
number of weeks now, I really thought like this is really
because that defense is a phenomenal defense and they're not
just good pass rushs. The reason why they lead the

(01:11:56):
league in sacks and they're on the I think they're
on the track to break the bears eighty five record
of seventy some sack. I think seventy seven sacks right.
It's because they're really physical and they stop to run
really well, and that means you're putting teams offenses in
predictable passing situations where now you get ten years back
and get after quarterback. That's why I love. And then
they got really good coverage guys. You know, I know

(01:12:17):
Riley Musk it's a lot of heat because he's a
white corner. But that dude along with the I mean
Patrick Certin you I don't know if you guys caught
the game last week against the Packers, man he had
all the best intercepts on the fifty to fifty ball
I've seen in Tin Fry, Charles Woodson Man and I
was like, wow, yeah, I mean they got such a
talented roster. You know, Vance Jose if you got to

(01:12:40):
get a lot of credit, I imagine, you know, as
a decoordinator. I mean, this is like a historical good
depot that he's gotta be kind of the guy I
would think of the next you know, going and being
a head coach somewhere. I mean I would, because I
know it's been popular to get these offensive guys, but
come on, man that he's done a phenomenal job with
that defense. And how cool is too, you know, he

(01:13:01):
was the head coach of the Broncos. Guys gets fired
and because still because I know it's a whole different
you know, ownership and everything. I think that was pretty
cool with him too, to do that, because that could
be hard sometimes where he kind of kind of have
to face a place where you were interpreted to fail.
But but yeah, yeah, I saw I mean, my whole
college around the Broncos, because they're to me, the only
legitimate team that stands up a chance against the Eagles,

(01:13:22):
against the Rams, against the Seahawks, you know, in the NFC,
everybody else, like the Bills you mentioned these other teams,
I just don't look at them. It's like the builds
are just so consistent defensively, too soft. They get ran
on all the time. I mean, you know, Jared Allen's
literally having to carrem on his back to win at
the end. Can he do that through the playoffs? Sure,
but you face, you know, these tough defenses, he's gonna

(01:13:44):
get worn out, and it's just he needs help, you know.
And that's just it's just too much asking of a guy.
You know, and I mean, and they's possible, don't get
me wrong, because Josh Allen he's phenomenal. Man, Like the dude,
can I see Aaron do this where he's taking games
over and he's he's filled in certain spots in our team.
And Josh has that ability. Man. He can literally make

(01:14:04):
your offensive line when it's struggling look really good. He
can help your defense those kinds of things. And so
that's the X factor is Josh Allen has the ability
to get hot and take over. But when you're just
talking sound principal football teams that are built top the bottom,
really well, that's the Denver Broncos. He got bo Nicks
playing a lot better, you know, I mean they got

(01:14:25):
they got a lot of dudes on the edges too.
They're they're playing some really good ball. So the Broncos
are for real, man, I'd put them in the top
five of the whole NFL.

Speaker 4 (01:14:33):
Well, Brady Papinga is our Josh Allen carrying us through
this show with great NFL analysis. Follow him at Brady
Papingo with two p's in the middle of his last name.
He was a BYU Cougar. He won a Super Bowl
with the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers and you've
heard him here on Fox Sports Radio and we have
missed him and Brady. It is good to catch up

(01:14:54):
back here on FNA. Thanks so much for joining this.

Speaker 8 (01:14:57):
Always a pleasure, guys. I have a great rest of
your show fellas.

Speaker 2 (01:15:00):
Thank you, Brady much appreciate it. Man, love for reading
Brady on.

Speaker 4 (01:15:03):
That was fun and the only thing about that was well,
we brought on Brady pepinga to get his side of
the story with that beef between him and Brady Quinn.
So I know what you're gonna ask, equal time, right,
We got to bring on Brady Quinn next. We got
to get his stide of the story. I mean it's
only fair.

Speaker 3 (01:15:22):
Yeah, Well, we got to get our crack staff on that, Lee,
Lee to lap you know, you know Brady Quinn pre
bri also hook it up, got a tag team this
and find a way to get Brady Quinn on the show.

Speaker 2 (01:15:31):
What's going on?

Speaker 4 (01:15:31):
Hand over the digits? Oh yeah, I'll reach out to
Brady right now, right now.

Speaker 2 (01:15:35):
Now, Lee, I know what you're doing. Lee, what's wrong
with you? Bleep?

Speaker 5 (01:15:39):
You man?

Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
You reach out to him now? You know Brady's gonna
say no.

Speaker 4 (01:15:42):
He's sabotaging our chances.

Speaker 2 (01:15:45):
How could you lee?

Speaker 4 (01:15:47):
All right? Coming up next more NFL six pack. We
got your trap game tap. That's next right here on
fn A on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:15:56):

(01:16:28):
Fox Sports Radio and the iHeart App.

Speaker 4 (01:16:30):
All right, Mark, what do we got next here? Our
next categy game tap? Okay, Kevin? So, the Bills may
have just gotten a victory on the road in New
England after trailing twenty one to nothing, and they may
be ten point favorites on the road this week in
Cleveland against a Browns team that lost thirty one to
three to the Bears. Yep, but I see a possible

(01:16:51):
trap game for Buffalo as they try to chase down
the AFC East and take it away from New England. Well,
the reason for that is because their quarterback Josh Allen
can't stop throwing up. And nothing induces massive amounts of
projectile vomit more than the Cleveland Browns. Alan says his

(01:17:12):
ritual throwing up on the sidelines quote is due to
nothing else other than a weird feeling and he's just
got to get it out. But right now I see
it being more than just some random weird feeling or nerves.
When you see the Browns and no, they've had forty
two different starting quarterbacks since nineteen ninety nine, that is

(01:17:33):
vomit inducing. When you see Shaduur Sanders hit Jerry Judy
with the touchdown pass in his chest that bounces off
of him into the defender's hands for an interception that
will make you hurl. When you see Miles Garrett on
the brink of breaking the sack record on a team
going nowhere, no matter how great he is, that will
make your barf. When you see the Browns uniforms. It

(01:17:55):
reminds you of up Chuck when you see a washed
Skip Bayless desperately try to stay relevant by attaching himself
to Shador Sanders the same way he did Johnny Manziel.
It makes you heave when you remember the Browns had
a sorry cornerback in the mid two thousands literally named
Ralph Brown. It makes you Ralph. I just I can't

(01:18:18):
see someone with the condition of Josh Allen having any
chance of making it through a game against the Browns
while he's spewing never ending projectile a Bama like. It's
the scene and scary movie too, mimicking Exorcism the original.
Not to mention, his wife, Hailey Steinfelder, is pregnant, which

(01:18:39):
means he could be having sympathetic pregnancy symptoms where he's
mimicking some of her pregnancy pains, including morning sickness. It's
just the wrong time for Josh Allen to be playing
the Browns.

Speaker 3 (01:18:52):
It's a trapat I got morning sickness and I'm craving
taco bell apparently for no reason with hell So this
is awesome my trap game.

Speaker 2 (01:18:59):
Tap there, Adam.

Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
When it comes to Buffalo, you mentioned the come from
behind victory against New England last week, all.

Speaker 2 (01:19:04):
The emotional ups and downs.

Speaker 3 (01:19:06):
One thing I'll say about Josh Allen two on a
serious note, So we all say it's happening, aforegone conclusion
that Matthew Stafford's going to win the EVP, and even
in a losing effort on Thursday night, his numbers were
sick and he had nothing to do with why they lost.
But I do think he might be closing the gap
on Drake Man Matthew Stafford. Here just a little bit.
I know Buffalo leads the league in rushing with James Cook,
and a lot of people don't know that. By the way,

(01:19:27):
James Cook is kind of neck and neck back and
forth with Jonathan Taylor, who leads the league in rushing
right now. Taylor has a twenty eight yard margin of error,
or I should say he has twenty eight more yards
rushing than James Cook does at the moment. But Josh
Allen has had to put his cape on multiple times
to try to save this team when they've needed him most.
We go back to that Cincinnati game in the snow,

(01:19:47):
and now obviously talking about last week again against the
New England Patriots. I don't think it will happen, But
I am saying just keep an eye on Josh Allen
in this MVP race. Potentially, if the Rams don't win
the NFC West, Bill's finished the season against the Eagles
and Jets, if he goes on a heater and he
plays extremely well, they overtake the Patriots for the number
two seed in the AFC. I can definitely see him
swooping in for that award. But for this game, like

(01:20:09):
you mentioned, I don't think it's necessarily going to be
a walk over because they are set up a little
bit for an emotional letdown. That Browns defense has I
will say taking a giant lead backwards over these past
three weeks. I made a huge mistake last week taking
them to cover the spread against the Bears. So I
threw up all over myself with that prediction, Adam, a
huge mistake. I most definitely did. I assume they would
return to their dominant unit that they were early in

(01:20:31):
the season. They just have not been, and it seems
like they more they kind of checked into the Nick
Van Exel one two three can coon mindset based on
how they played these last three weeks here playing out
the string.

Speaker 4 (01:20:42):
Anything's can Coon if you just get out of Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (01:20:44):
I'm telling you so, we've been there before, so I know.

Speaker 3 (01:20:47):
The Bills have also been woefully inconsistent this season as well,
So I'm not going to take it into two one
or two all for anything, but I will say keep
a close eye on this game because it's very much
a potential trap game for the Bills.

Speaker 4 (01:20:57):
All Right, we're some Patiko there. Coming we get our
beer goggles game. We also have our old Troy epic
fail under the microscope redemption round. The NFL six Pack
continues when we return here at F and A on
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (01:21:15):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Final hour of Fox
Football Saturday. Here with FNA at K FIG one is
where you can find me at follow Out of A
is where you can find Adam on X as well.
Thank you guys for listening to us each and every week.
Thanks again to Brady Papinga for joining us on the
show last hour as well.

Speaker 4 (01:21:32):
Coming up, we'll have two on two off also our
college football forecast. But we still have four more categories
here in the NFL six Pack.

Speaker 1 (01:21:40):
Mark what's beer goggles? K?

Speaker 4 (01:21:42):
All right, Kevin, you want to start off this time.

Speaker 3 (01:21:45):
Yeah, my ugly matchup that might turn out to be entertaining.
And by the way, Adam, looking at the schedule this week,
a lot of potential ugly games. You got the Jets
and Saints, sorry, Brie Falcons, Cardinals, Vikings, Giants, And to
a certain degree, you can say the same thing about
the Dolphins and the Bengals, but that game does have
one major redeeming quality that none of those other games

(01:22:05):
can sniff.

Speaker 2 (01:22:06):
Joe Burrow. Oh, Joe Burrow, Yes, few teams can.

Speaker 3 (01:22:09):
Both have an unquestionably one of the best players in
the entire league who's battling through a tough season, and
he actually, Adam, he wants to play, while everybody else
is suggesting that he shuts it down.

Speaker 2 (01:22:20):
He said it at a press conference earlier this week.
So you want to play.

Speaker 4 (01:22:23):
He's good, He's fine.

Speaker 3 (01:22:25):
Yeah, yeah, everybody else is. Everybody else is trying to
tell me. I want to sit down when I get
paid to play football. I like playing football, at least
for now, and I want to continue to play, which,
by the way, Adam, I'll say this if I were
a Bengals fan, I respect him for having that outlook.
I will say sit your ass down, Like, let's put
somebody else in there, have them run for their lives. Whoever,
I don't need to risk you getting hurt. Let's get
you all rested up and healthy and get you back

(01:22:46):
in here for training camp coming up.

Speaker 2 (01:22:48):
In August exactly. But we obviously know that's not going
to happen.

Speaker 3 (01:22:53):
So you have a motivated Joe Burrow against the Miami
defense that granted is in the top fifteen, their thirteenth
against the past, but they're playing out the string at
this point in time, and their bubble was burst last
week by the Steelers. I know they had a very
slim playoff playoff hopes, those are now completely out of
the window. Quinn Ewers is now the starting quarterback because
Tua is on the bench and his future is in question,

(01:23:14):
although he has a pretty hefty price tag, so I
don't know where the hell he's gonna go, to be
honest with you, Yeah, good luck with that, yeah he Look,
who knows how yours is going to perform. I remember
there was a while back, a couple of years ago
in college when he was at Texas, and I remember
he had a big victory against Alabama. People thought he
had a bright future in the NFL. Now, I was
not one of them. I never thought that he was
that great of a prospect personally, but look, he's gotten

(01:23:34):
an opportunity. We'll see what happens. And it's against a
pretty bad defense this weekend, so who knows. So you
have Joe Burrow the Bengals offense out there up against
a Dolphins offense that will be a relative unknown with
a rookie quarterback behind center. Yet you still have for
someone like Devin h chan Back in the backfield, so
he's an exciting young running back. I think there's enough
intrigue in this one to at least keep half an
eye on, and if nothing else, if you're a degenerate

(01:23:56):
gambler out there, the over under at last check was
forty seven and half, I think you might want to
take the over all.

Speaker 4 (01:24:02):
Right, an early pick before two on two off my
beer goggles game. When I put those beer goggles on,
I see NFL football being played on Saturday again, which
means we're getting close to the playoffs, right, And it
also means we're going to get games more spread out
and featured in primetime, which means we're due for some

(01:24:24):
bad divisional games, especially from the NFC East on the
big stage, because well, their markets have a lot of
fans like these two. With Philadelphia going into DC to
take on the Commanders later today. The reason I think
this game is actually interesting though, besides the fact I
want to talk myself into watching it. Since this is
the first NFL game of the weekend, we get to

(01:24:46):
see if the Eagles, you know, can beat two bad
teams in a row soundly and start to make a
little bit of noise heading into the playoffs. Can they
fool us into buying back in or not? Last week
they bludgeoned your Raiders, winning thirty one to nothing, as
the Raiders now have the second worst point differential in
the league at minus one hundred and sixty seven. Only

(01:25:09):
the Titans are worse than minus one's sixty nine. Not nice.
I'm gonna go just throw something out here before anyone
else does. What if Kevin tom Brady comes out of
the booth to coach the team he's part owner of.
At some point the Raiders suck? I know they might

(01:25:30):
keep Pete Carroll another season. I think about it. I
don't hate that idea, but eventually I could see Brady
with a headset on calling plays. Guys that competitive, they
can't help themselves. I don't know, just gonna throw it
out there.

Speaker 3 (01:25:44):
I don't know if that's possible under the CBA where
you can be a part time owner and also.

Speaker 2 (01:25:48):
Be the coach, but I don't know how that works.

Speaker 4 (01:25:49):
He gets out of the ownership thing like Jordan did
with the Wizards. They find a way.

Speaker 2 (01:25:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:25:54):
Anyways, if that's the result that I'm gonna get, then
I'll pass.

Speaker 2 (01:25:58):
I don't association with the Wizards.

Speaker 8 (01:26:01):
I'm not.

Speaker 2 (01:26:01):
I'm out.

Speaker 4 (01:26:02):
Yeah, but you did great things with the Hornets after Okay. Anyways,
back to the Eagles, a team that once lost to
the Raiders in a Super Bowl but also beat Tom
Brady in a Super Bowl. The Eagles are trying to
gather up momentum before the playoffs, like winning the NFC
East would help, and for as bad as they've looked,
at worst, they're going to be the three seed in

(01:26:25):
the NFC because the NFC South winner is not going
to catch them and they're only a game back the
Philadelphia Eagles of the Packers, who they have the tiebreaker
over if the pack win the NFC North, So the
Eagles are still fully in the hunt for the two
seed at nine and five, and they don't just have

(01:26:46):
the Commanders today, but again in a week, in week eighteen,
or in two weeks from now, they get to play
them again in between. There they get the Bills. Not easy,
but they should end up with eleven wins. I'm just interesting,
should to see if a champion playing with desperation can
find that magic again like they had last season a

(01:27:07):
couple of years before that, and if they can go
into the tournament with so momentum. I may need my
beer goggles on to watch this Eagles Commander's game, but
sign me up to see what kind of performance this
drama field Eagles team puts forth and if they can
come together the most critical time of the season like
that Tush Push got a little more cushion for the
push and left in it. I think I wouldn't count

(01:27:29):
Philly out yet for making a run here, Kevin.

Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
You imagine they lose to the Commanders tonight.

Speaker 4 (01:27:34):
Okay, well then I'd feel pretty stupid.

Speaker 2 (01:27:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:27:38):
I talked last week about how Philadelphia fans are so
irrational and how they flip out over everything.

Speaker 2 (01:27:42):
I don't think there's anything to be irrational about it.

Speaker 3 (01:27:44):
If you end up losing to the Commanders and Marcus Mariota,
who are literally going nowhere.

Speaker 4 (01:27:48):
Oh no, that would be righteous anger.

Speaker 2 (01:27:53):
Man.

Speaker 4 (01:27:53):
Mark, what's up next?

Speaker 5 (01:27:55):
Oh my god, Oh my god.

Speaker 4 (01:28:11):
Oh right, I'm so sorry. Yeah, maybe that's how mad
they be.

Speaker 2 (01:28:19):
Exactly. My potential epic fail this week is going to
the LA Chargers. Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:28:24):
Look, if you're a Charger fan, you feel like you've
turned the corner. You've slaid the beast known as the
Kansas City Chiefs, You've knocked them out of the postseason.
You have an outside shot of winning the AFC West
if you went out and get a little bit of help.
But the here comes scenes that here becomes the unforeseen
juggernaut in the Dallas Cowboys and Adam. I don't mean
this as oh, they have so many offensive weapons when
it comes to you know, George Pickens and Cede Lamb

(01:28:45):
and all these guys. No, they're a juggernaut because they
epitomize everything that Charger fans should fear. A team that's
not going to the playoffs, playing with nothing to lose.
Site said in the off season, and yes, Cowboy fans,
by the way, I know you're not mathematically eliminated, but
let's be honest with ourselves. You're going home in a
couple of weeks, so it's all good. Get those my
ties ready, don't worry about it.

Speaker 1 (01:29:05):
Ah.

Speaker 3 (01:29:07):
Now that's not to say that, but the problem is
Dallas is a formidable opponent by the way, they're favored
in this game for some reason I find out to
be interesting. Hovering around five hundred, do have one of
the best offenses in the league, So on a malagam
it shouldn't be a surprise if they played the Chargers
to or found some way to potentially win this game.
But perceptually, the Chargers have reached a point under Jim

(01:29:27):
Harriball where you feel like they've kind of now fully
hit that profile and fitting the profile of how those
teams usually play physical on defense, controlling the game offensively,
having an athletic quarterback who can make plays when necessary.
You know, think back to Andrew Luck, Alex Smith, Colin Kaepernick,
even JJ McCarthy at Michigan. I'm specifically thinking back to
that rose Ball win against Alabama and all the plays

(01:29:48):
he made with his feet in that situation. Other than look,
I think Justin Herbert's is probably the best of any
of those guys, to be honest with you, And despite
the fact that he's running for his life, he's playing
at a pretty high level. Behind it pretty terrible and
pretty banged up offensive line. And for all of that
told true, by the way, as far as I'm playing
in hardball's identity, they need to come out Sunday and
dominate the Cowboys. You ran for just under one hundred

(01:30:09):
yards against Kansas City, and that's a pretty tough defense.
You need to run for well over one hundred yards
against the Dallas Cowboys. If this jesse Menzer defense is
a championship level unit, like some people like to say
that they are, they need to come out and make
a statement against his high flying Dallas offense and not
live off of the wears of beaten trash offenses like
the Raiders, Titans, Chiefs. Yes said the Chiefs and the

(01:30:31):
Steelers Didver hosted the Dallas Cowboys about a month and
a half ago and ran them off the field. They're
on the backs of their defense, Dack, and that offense
could do nothing about it. If this Charger team wants
to be held in the same as team as Denver
AKA being one of the more one of the best
teams in the AC and being a championship contender, then
this game is where they need to be able to

(01:30:52):
exert their will. After Sunday, their final two games are
against the Texans and those Denver Broncos, so two games
with huge playoff implications and matchups that it could be
a litmus test for them as they head into the postseason.
So you can't overlook the obstacle that's in front of you.
Go into Dallas, put your foot on the neck, and
keep the positive moment. I'm going here in the final
three weeks of the season, all right, I like.

Speaker 4 (01:31:12):
That old Troy epic failed potential. I could see it.
It's the Chargers, after all, my old Troy epic failed potential.
Everything was set up for the Panthers to take control
of the division and make the Bucks have to beat
them twice in order to take the NFC South from them,
But then tragedy struck the team last week in New Orleans,

(01:31:35):
where their plane went down and everyone died metaphorically speaking
of course, because when you lose to the Saints, that
does put you in a never ending tail spin and
you are dead to me. As I've said before, it's
the reverse Godfather three with the Panthers. Just when I
thought I was in, they pulled me back out and

(01:31:55):
not even Sonny suffered a worse death than my Panthers
fandom did last week, as I watched Tyler Shook shuck
whatever spelled funny. He led two scoring drives against what
I thought was my Panthers in the final five minutes,
and Charlie Smythe, a bleeping school teacher from Northern Ireland,

(01:32:16):
almost had a four leaf clover up his ass or
ate a bunch of lucky charms in the morning like
it was his wheedies. Because that Irish kicker hit the
game winner to bring the Saints to their fourth win
of the season. Half of their wins have come against
my Panthers.

Speaker 2 (01:32:32):
This is calmer for all the trash he talked to.

Speaker 4 (01:32:34):
Bree, how dare you? I've never said a bad word
my life. Okay, I'll stop.

Speaker 8 (01:32:42):
Now.

Speaker 4 (01:32:43):
If I have half a mind to go to Carolina
myself and give this Panthers team a piece of whatever's
left in my mind after watching that mind rot of
a football game, I might have to the Panthers don't
have that dog in them, let alone a panther. My
cat Tuca, named after Panthers legend Biakabatuca, least a legend
on earth too, if it wasn't for all the injuries. Yeah,

(01:33:05):
you hear Tuca there, My cat has more fight in
her than the actual Panthers out there. Look at my
cut up hands, Kevin. Maybe it was the cat, or
maybe it's like Stigmady from the sacrifices I've made for
this god forsaken franchise. Why have you forsaken me, Panthers?
Why do you make me curse and use the Lord's

(01:33:27):
name in vain? Close to Christmas? We should be focused
on the Redeemer and not this cursed team. There was
no panther to my knowledge at the Nativity scene, but
there was a donkey. There was a donkey, And boy
do I feel like a jackass forever attaching myself to
this organization. And I'm sure the Bucks they're gonna give

(01:33:48):
us a mule like kick to the face this weekend
in Carolina. When you lose to the Saints twice, you
don't deserve coal in your stocking. You deserve that donkey
dung I've given up on this Panthers season. Officially, it's over.
These are not my Panthers. These are Breeze Panthers because
her Saints can beat them.

Speaker 3 (01:34:07):
I like the reverse psychology aspect for Adam. If I
talked just enough trash about the Panthers yet again, they'll
find a way to surprise me and get a victory.

Speaker 4 (01:34:14):
Yeah, that was the case. That would have won like
the last five Super Bowls. It hasn't worked yet.

Speaker 2 (01:34:19):
No, it hasn't.

Speaker 1 (01:34:20):
No, it hasn't.

Speaker 4 (01:34:21):
Mark what's next under the microscope?

Speaker 2 (01:34:24):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (01:34:24):
Who should we watch closely this weekend? I'm looking at
those Chicago Bears. Last week, I thought the Bears would
be a danger against a fairly scrappy Cleveland Browns team
like I talked about a second ago, and that was
not the case, not in the least bit. Bears came
out early, got off to a fourteen nothing lead, and
never really look back at that point in time, As
has been the case all season long. Caleb Williams overall
numbers not that impressive, missed a couple of easy throws,

(01:34:47):
but overall played well, made big throws and did not
turn the ball over. That defense has continued to impress
and forced turnovers. The Jalen Johnson played, you talked about
Jerry Judy having a pop out of his hands and
Johnson being able to catch it.

Speaker 2 (01:34:59):
That was still in.

Speaker 3 (01:35:00):
To be honest with you, I'm still gonna give it
to him. That wears like, oh my god, I thought
he gave a catch up a bounce right in my chest.
I'll go ahead and take that, thank you. But if
you look at the DNA, I'll say this, if you
look at the DNA of teams that do win in
the postseason at him, the Bears have shown, at least
here in the regular season that they have some of
those aspects working in their favor. They have a great
running game, a defense that gives up a share of yards,

(01:35:22):
but they lead the league in force turnovers, and a
signal caller who wasn't turning the ball over and has
the ability to make special off schedule throws. He might
be one of the best in the league not named
Mahomes and Josh Allen to be able to do that
right now, So how will that manifests itself? And what
is the de facto playoff game coming up on Sunday
against or I should say tonight against Green Bay, that's
the question.

Speaker 2 (01:35:42):
Two weeks ago on.

Speaker 3 (01:35:42):
Green Bay, I would venture to say Chicago didn't really
play all that well. It felt like a game that
the Packers were thoroughly dominating, and they got out to
a big lead. The Bears are right there knocking on
the door of tying the game at the end before
Caleb threw a critical pick in the end zone in
the final seconds. The Bears have been under the microscope
for me a lot this season, mostly because I was
fascinated by the potential influence that Ben Johnson can have

(01:36:04):
on Caleb's progression. To my surprise, and it probably shouldn't
be considering what his offenses looked like in Detroit. He's
actually turned around that offensive line of that running game
more than anything, and I think that's just as instrumental
in Caleb Williams playing as well as he's played this
year as anything. He's had a lot less pressure on
his shoulders because DeAndre Swift, the offensive line of that
run game has been excellent throughout this entire season. Now, granted,

(01:36:28):
this is not the Bengals or the Giants or the Vikings.
This is the team that you have to beat if
you're going to compete from and go from a worse
to first campaign here in the the NFC, the NFC East.

Speaker 2 (01:36:38):
So the Packers are limping into this game.

Speaker 3 (01:36:39):
By the way, Micah Parsons obviously going to be humongous
loss to their Super Bowl chances, let alone them trying
to win the division. Zach tom on the old line
questionable this week, may not play. Josh Jaco's been banged up.
Jayden Reid is also banged up, like he talked about earlier.
I think he's questionable as well. So I think he
did practice, so that's a good son. I thought he

(01:37:01):
broke his collar building on that play. Honestly, it looked
pretty brutal. Looked it looked absolutely brutal. And this is,
by the way, has been the story of the Green
Bay Packers with Jordan Love. He just can't keep receivers healthy.
For the life of him. It's been ridiculous what he's
dealt with. And receiver issues, by the way, going to
be something when it comes to the Bears as well.
They don't have Roma dunesa Luther Burden also going to
be out, so that injuries are going to be a
factor for both teams in this game, and by the way,

(01:37:23):
not just a big game. In terms of the division.
Both of these teams are neck and neck with the
likes of the forty nine ers and lines. When it
comes to the NFC wildcard spot. We talked about the
forty nine ers having a chance to win that division,
that the wildcard situation is still kind of a bit
of a muddle mess in the NFC too. So, by
the way, I will say this, take a wild guess
Toho Chicago's finals two opponents are this season.

Speaker 4 (01:37:43):
Lions forty nine ers.

Speaker 3 (01:37:45):
In the Lions teams, they are right in the thick
of a potential wildcart race with.

Speaker 4 (01:37:49):
So they're basically in the playoffs already. This is playoff mode.

Speaker 3 (01:37:52):
One thousand percent at him, this is these are playoff
games for them right now. So similar to the charges
will I talked about earlier having to be in playoff mode,
that is where the Bears.

Speaker 2 (01:38:00):
You have an opponent that vulnerable. I'm coming into your house.

Speaker 3 (01:38:03):
That's right, coach, coming into your house on primetime on
Saturday night. You better take advantage. I'm not gonna call
it a must win, but if we're gonna take you
for real as a contender, here's Chicago in the NFC.

Speaker 2 (01:38:13):
This is a game you have to win.

Speaker 4 (01:38:15):
All right, under the microscope For me, I'm putting all
the comedians under the microscope who are making jokes at
others expense. There's a lot of schadenfreuder going around right now.
People are getting off when other people get fired and
lose their job, and I think it's disgusting. You shouldn't
laugh at other people's misfortune. And kickers sometimes are not

(01:38:35):
looked at as human beings. And the things I've seen
this week during Christmas time no less shameful, really out
of line. Beneath this show, I'll tell you that. Right
now you may have seen kicker Young Wayku waived for
the second time this season, this time by the Giants
this week only the second now, maybe his foot went

(01:38:55):
the wrong way a couple of weeks ago when he
missed kicking the ball and drove his club right into
the hed of the grass. In this case, some have
created a meme of him next to the awkward dance
that Elaine did and Seinfeld I think in the final season,
like that's kind of how he looked trying to kick
that ball. But after missing two field goals, last week
against the Commanders, the Giants said, enough is enough. But

(01:39:18):
I've had enough of these jokes based upon his name
being spelled like young Ho cou. Yes, So I've gone
on X to see just who was making the nastiest
comments underneath. And this was under his news release and
these are insensitive comments and you people will be called out.
Adam Koffler on X, You're never getting a follow for me. Not.

(01:39:42):
After taking a personal shot at an unflattering photo used
in the release of Young Ho Yung Wayku, he said,
more like old Hoku am I right, just because he
didn't look great in the picture.

Speaker 2 (01:39:55):
Very clever?

Speaker 4 (01:39:56):
That's not cool. So did live on Blind said, Bro's
starting to look like an old hoe. Not cool. Somebody
said the Giants waved a young hoe. That was Swerve's house.
It's young way now. Somebody else said the Giants are

(01:40:17):
treating kickers like temporary passwords because they've been on their
third kicker already this season. That's actually my attempt.

Speaker 2 (01:40:26):
That's pretty good. That's terrible.

Speaker 4 (01:40:27):
Somebody else said, given that he was waved, yeah, well
he waved a few kicks first unkind Someone called him
young waved coup. That's not cool. It's not young waved coop.

(01:40:48):
Someone just said, I can't believe his name is young Hoe.
It's not Yeah, it's young way Coup stop it. Somebody
else blamed him because they used him in and missed
a seventeen yard field coal.

Speaker 2 (01:41:02):
It seems like justification enough to me.

Speaker 4 (01:41:04):
That's on you. You have the controller in your hands.

Speaker 2 (01:41:07):
I'm still young Way.

Speaker 5 (01:41:08):
Come on.

Speaker 4 (01:41:09):
Somebody else said it ain't easy being a young ho,
not cool, and then finally someone said, another hoe on
the streets. All these jokes immature, disgusting. Good God, that
young Ho has a family, okay, Young Wayku has a family. Okay,

(01:41:31):
So let's show a little bit of grace during this
difficult time. He's made like twenty five million though in
the league, so he's doing fine. He's all right, all right.

Speaker 2 (01:41:42):
By the way, I'm sure these are jokes he's never
heard before in his life.

Speaker 4 (01:41:45):
So yeah, in grade school. Yes, And you guys think
this is funny? Now pathetic? Last category here, redemption round.

Speaker 2 (01:41:54):
Kevin. It's like, how many Fike Newton jokes I heard
in my in my childhood? He was like, oh, I sorry,
he fake?

Speaker 4 (01:42:00):
I was like, what about Brian Seman? Go figures. So
Kevin figures go figures.

Speaker 3 (01:42:05):
Shit, Thanks Brian, I've been haven't heard that one thousand
times in my life.

Speaker 2 (01:42:09):
Already, voice to the Clippers.

Speaker 3 (01:42:10):
I'm going with the Patriots on the road, taking on
Baltimore on Sunday Night football. I mentioned last week when
I talked about the Bills Patriots game and how important
it was for Buffalo to win. I said it was
as close to a must win as you can get
without actually being a must win game. And I think
the Patriots find themselves in that situation Sunday night in Baltimore. Now, look,
shauld you give me a look at him. I understand
people are looking at it from a Ravens perspective and saying,

(01:42:31):
hold up, it's actually a must win for them. They're
quite literally fighting for their playoff lives. They cannot forward
another loss. They have to win out. And yes, this
is true, and I don't want to offend any Ravens
fans out there. Yes it's a must win for you,
but honestly, you're not a Super Bowl contender regardless of
what happened.

Speaker 2 (01:42:50):
So to put it less eloquently, you ain't going nowhere anyway.

Speaker 3 (01:42:54):
If Baltimore somehow finds a way to win the AFC North,
which is very possible.

Speaker 2 (01:42:57):
Is there anyone who feels confident that they can win
a p game.

Speaker 5 (01:43:02):
No.

Speaker 3 (01:43:03):
Look, I'll say this so as a division winner, which
is ridiculous. You have a home game, you can find
a way to win, depending on who you play right
now the way things are shaping up. If you win
the North, there's a cavalcade of people you can the Chargers, Broncos, Bills, Texans, Patriots.
There's a list of people that you can Of all
those teams that I listed, you're picking them to beat
any of them.

Speaker 2 (01:43:23):
I'm not.

Speaker 4 (01:43:24):
Lamar Jackson wasn't always at his best in the playoffs
during good regular seasons.

Speaker 2 (01:43:28):
Yeah, let's we forget that point.

Speaker 3 (01:43:31):
So while this is a literal must win for the
Ravens playoff hops, I think it's a near must win
for the Patriots, who find themselves with just a one
game lead over Buffalo in the East with just three
games remaining. And look, yes, while I don't think the
Ravens or the Steelers will be formidable in the first round,
you can't underestimate a team that's playing at home in
the playoffs. You mentioned this earlier in the show, Adam,
that's seven to nine Seaawks team that beaten an eleven

(01:43:51):
wins Saints team with that beast mode run by Marshawn Lynch.
So as unconfident as I am that Baltimore and into
a lesser extent, Pittsburgh will be able to win a
playoff game. It certainly helps if you're able to host
that game. And by the way, so I'll go off
on a short tangent here too, by the way, because
I hate this is so ridiculous, the playoff format in
the NFL, Gadam Kavin. The fact that division winners are

(01:44:13):
guaranteed a home playoff game, it makes no sense whatsoever.
And I know the Lions brought this to the table
at the league meetings in the offseason and they were
shot down for whatever reason.

Speaker 2 (01:44:23):
And I know why.

Speaker 3 (01:44:23):
It is the owners. They want to be able to
get themselves a home game for winning the division. That's
more money in their pockets. I understand it. From a
competitive standpoint, it's absolutely absurd.

Speaker 4 (01:44:32):
I'll tell you what. Nobody from the NFC South was
for changing the rule.

Speaker 2 (01:44:35):
No, I'm sure they're not.

Speaker 3 (01:44:37):
The idea that a potential twelve or thirteen team win,
a team like the Bills or the Patriots go to
the NFC where it talked about the Rams and Seahawks
earlier that you could fall from the one seed.

Speaker 2 (01:44:46):
To the five seed. Highway robbery, highway robbery.

Speaker 3 (01:44:50):
Why are we playing the regular season if you're telling
me that my stellar record has less merit than the
team with four or fewer victories because they happen to
play in a terrible division that year. Stupid, but anyway, digress,
all right, So the Patriots, by the way, need to
get this victory against Baltimore to have hopes to be
able to hold on to the NFC or to the
AFC East Championship, because right now it's.

Speaker 2 (01:45:09):
Teetering quickly.

Speaker 4 (01:45:13):
My redemption round, I think Gardner Minshew's gonna play better
and not have a quarterback rating of negative one hundred
like he had throwing that pick at the end of
the game after Patrick Mahomes went out with the knee
injury last week that basically ended their season because they
can't make the playoffs in case, this week he's taking
on the Titans. Minshew magic is back. He's no longer

(01:45:33):
a Raider. The magic is back. Coming up next, we
got your college football fore casts because three more playoff
games are coming up later today. You're listening to F

Speaker 6 (01:46:44):
College football forecast with all.

Speaker 4 (01:46:47):
Right, Kevin, we already saw Oklahoma falls Alabama earlier tonight
later today though, we got three more games here in
the first round of the college football playoff.

Speaker 3 (01:46:58):
Yeah, two ones and one I think is going to
be a total blowout. If we want to get your
Oregon DUTs out of the way, they're adam for her.
To be honest with you, I'm like, this is no
disrespect to James Madison.

Speaker 4 (01:47:07):
As long as James Madison don't get him out of
the way.

Speaker 3 (01:47:09):
You know, I just don't see how they can possibly
hold up in this game considering so, you know, James
Madison's lost early in the season, I believe was what
Louisville and they got run off of the field.

Speaker 2 (01:47:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:47:22):
Great, and Louisville is an average with all due respect
to them acc team.

Speaker 4 (01:47:27):
They did beat Miami, but we all thought that was
kind of a bad loss from Miami.

Speaker 2 (01:47:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:47:32):
So now you have Oregon, and by the way, James
Madison is mostly buoyed by their run game, and Oregon
one of the best run defenses in the entire country,
one of the best defensive fronts in the country, one
of the best offensive fronts in the country, I can
see with the spread on this is what twenty and
a half, It would not surprise me if this was
covered by the end of the first quarter.

Speaker 4 (01:47:51):
To be honest with you, that's the joke to me.
We have a twelve team playoff. There should not be
a combination of any two teams in the twelve and
the new playoff that give you a spread this lopsided
with a favorite being favorited by twenty one and a
half points. That tells you James Madison should not be in.

(01:48:14):
I'm sorry. We could have had BYU and Notre Dame in,
but we had to put in James Madison Tulane. That
just it bothers me. And if Oakland or excuse me,
if Oregon runs them off the floor or the field, whatever,
because they're forty four and two in their last forty

(01:48:35):
six games at Austin, I don't know. Look, there's always
changes that have to be made with the playoff playoff format,
and there will be more here and they'll just expand
it to sixteen and twenty four, like Brady Papinga said, eventually.
But this is an obvious one that everyone could have

(01:48:55):
seen coming because it happened to a degree last season,
and it's happening again now. But this is worse. Honestly,
this is much worse than what we saw last year
with Boise State.

Speaker 3 (01:49:07):
Well, the agreedious part about Boise State, and they admended
it this year, was the fact that they had to
buy simply because they won their conference, even though they shouldn't.
They were not one of the four best teams obvious,
So the very least they corrected that part of it.

Speaker 4 (01:49:17):
That was worse.

Speaker 3 (01:49:19):
And it was a weird quirk this year because the
ACC champion Duke was so bad that they couldn't justify
putting them in the top twenty five, so by default
they had to take the five highest, the four highest
Rady conference champions, so they had to put James Madison
in there. Hopefully the rule gets a mended yet again
at some point. And I've said this and this is
no disrespect. And I know Nick Saban got a lot

(01:49:39):
of flat earlier this week saying I think he compared
the group of five.

Speaker 2 (01:49:42):
Teams to minor league baseball teams.

Speaker 3 (01:49:44):
I don't know if I'm willing to go that far,
because every now and then I do think and Brady
Papinger brought up a good example in two thousand and four,
that Utah team with Alex Smith was a really good team,
and I would have enjoyed seeing them play in a major,
you know, in a playoff situation like this, to see
what they could have done to happen every single year.
And I do think the group of five needs a
seat at the table. But what I would do, at

(01:50:04):
least if we're gonna keep this current format, they probably
need to play their way in have the two highest
rated group of five teams play each other in a
playing game, and then have one of those be able
to represent because quite honestly, this is no disrespect to
James Madison or even two Lane taking on ole Miss.
I don't know if either of those teams really have
a legitimate shot of winning those games.

Speaker 2 (01:50:22):
And Tulane this.

Speaker 3 (01:50:23):
Is a rematch against Ole Miss going on the road
yet again where they got run off of the field
earlier in the season.

Speaker 2 (01:50:28):
And what's gonna change.

Speaker 4 (01:50:29):
I don't need to see it, I don't I'm good now.
What's changed is Lane Kiffin is gone.

Speaker 2 (01:50:35):
I guess I'll be honest with you. I don't know
how big of a how much of a difference that
actually makes.

Speaker 4 (01:50:40):
Yeah, you and I could probably coach this game. He
is a great play caller. Though he is a great
play caller. But they won by thirty five points in
the first meeting. Tulane just shouldn't be in. I don't care.
They could win these games, and I'll say the same thing.
It could be Boise State versus Oklahoma in the two
thousand and seven Fiesta Bowl or whatever. With Chris blowing

(01:51:01):
the guy's proposal.

Speaker 2 (01:51:03):
I do think.

Speaker 3 (01:51:04):
I'd mean, if you're going to be playing at the
FBS level, as you have to give them at least
some sort of care.

Speaker 2 (01:51:08):
It's a certain to a certain degree.

Speaker 3 (01:51:10):
I mean, look, we let all the teams that we
allow win to the NCAA tournament, which I know basketball
is different, there's more teams and all of that. I
don't think it hurts them to be able to give
the little guy at least one opportunity, one bite at
the apple, especially if you were expanding. If it was
a four team or a sixteen playoff and your shoehorning
in a group of five or a group of six team,
that's different. But if you're at twelve, fourteen, sixteen, twenty, whatever,

(01:51:31):
this turns out to be. I don't think it hurts
to get one of the men to get some representation.

Speaker 4 (01:51:36):
I agree with you. It's just one of those years
where there was so much bickering and debating with BYU
and Notre Dame, and this would have easily solved that
problem right there. Just take these two teams out.

Speaker 3 (01:51:51):
You're right, the solution is going to be expanding this
even more, giving the group of five their chance at
their seat at the table, while also giving more power
conference as a chance to be able to make the
season and see what.

Speaker 2 (01:52:01):
They can do with it. So Oregon's gonna run James
Madison off the field.

Speaker 3 (01:52:04):
Maybe Tulane I do like Jake retz Loft, the former
BYU quarterback who's a really good player and had a
really good season this year. Maybe he puts up a
little bit of a fight for a half against Ole
Miss with Tulane. But quite honestly, the Old Miss is
what a seventeen and a half point favorite at last check? Yea,
you know they probably end up covering that as well.
Maybe it's closer, Maybe it's a back door cover.

Speaker 2 (01:52:22):
I could see it be.

Speaker 3 (01:52:22):
In the old fourteen point game, ten point game or
something like that in the fourth quarter, and Olemoss ends
up pulling away late all.

Speaker 4 (01:52:28):
Right quickly though. The game of the day Miami at
Texas A and M, and they're favored by three and
a half. Now I know what's gonna happen here. If
Miami loses big, oh, Notre Dame fans are gonna be like, well,
we only lost to Texas A and M by one point.
Should have been us in there.

Speaker 2 (01:52:48):
Now here's a question. What if Miami loses to A
and him by one point, then what's the debate?

Speaker 4 (01:52:54):
And there's no debate, then it's over.

Speaker 2 (01:52:56):
Clearly we should have been there.

Speaker 4 (01:52:57):
Miami, just don't lose by more than one or maybe
even win the game. How about that, which.

Speaker 2 (01:53:03):
I could potentially see happening.

Speaker 3 (01:53:04):
Actually as good as an m is, you know, Miami's
really good on both lines and Mario crystal Ball teams
generally are some trash talk going back and forth from
A and M's offensive line to Rubin Bain, Miami's best
defensive lineman. I think their offensive starting left tackle for
A and M said that he's not gonna have any
problem where he's not scared of Ruben Bain who's thought
of as one of the best prospects coming out in
the draft this year. So a little bit of a

(01:53:26):
little bit of bulletin board material there. So that'll be
a fun matchup to watch up front on both lines.
If Miami's able to run the ball and keep this
thing close, I think they have a phenomenal chance of
being able to win this game on the road. But
if it turns out to a shootout and marsol Reid
ends up playing better then he played in that last
game against Texas, it's one of those games where if
it's close, I love Miami, but I can see Texas
A and m potentially winning by ten fourteen points too.

Speaker 4 (01:53:49):
I agree with you, but you mentioned me being a
Ducks fan. That means I know Mario Cristi ball a
little bit in big games on the road and none
of the other the kids are playing their tail off
and the conches.

Speaker 3 (01:53:59):
Are crystal Ball has had his his sheriff miscues, and
Miami Hurricane fans will back you up on that too.

Speaker 2 (01:54:05):
So back to that Pittsburgh game a couple of years ago.

Speaker 4 (01:54:07):
Clock malfunctions due to brain malfunctions.

Speaker 3 (01:54:10):
Yeah, so I might give him not Mike I'm giving
Mike Elko the coaching yet here, even though he has
less experience as a head coach than Mario Christaball does so.
But if I ultimately had to make a pick in
this game, I think I'm taking Texas A and M.

Speaker 4 (01:54:23):
Yeah, I think I also like Marcel Read a little
bit more than Carson Beck.

Speaker 3 (01:54:27):
Oh yeah, Carson Beck is good when he doesn't turn
the ball over, which is not often.

Speaker 4 (01:54:30):
He's too much in a high wire act.

Speaker 3 (01:54:32):
Yeah, he's a bit of a turnover machine and that
and m defense thrives on that. So for that reason,
I think Carson Bek turns the ball over more than
a few times. And I think that Marcel Read balls
out and plays better than he played in that last
game against Texas. So that's why I think A and
M end up getting this victory.

Speaker 4 (01:54:46):
But look, Notre Dame. If Miami gets blown out or
loses by a touchdown, that doesn't mean you get to
protest next year's Bowl game as well. Okay, relax, No.

Speaker 3 (01:54:55):
They will if it's not if it's not, if it's
not enough the CFP, they definitely will. Although now there's
a provision in the CFP that if they finish in
the top twelve.

Speaker 2 (01:55:05):
They're guaranteed a spot.

Speaker 3 (01:55:06):
That's something they amended before this season started for next
year's ranking.

Speaker 4 (01:55:10):
What is this bs?

Speaker 2 (01:55:12):
They may They make these changes every single year.

Speaker 3 (01:55:15):
And now the problem is the committee had signed an
extension to be able to discuss whether or not they
want to actually expand the playoff from twelve to sixteen
or fourteen, whatever it is, And they have until mid January,
which most people believe because of all the issues with
Miami and Notre Dame in Alabama and whatever else, that
there's optimism that the expansion might actually happen. And if
that happens, it kind of blows all of the other

(01:55:36):
agreements out of the water and they all have to
be reworked again.

Speaker 4 (01:55:39):
Expansion is more inevitable than thanos. So is this me
losing in two on two off?

Speaker 2 (01:55:45):
What do you mean?

Speaker 4 (01:55:46):

on to On All right.

Speaker 2 (01:56:42):
Where's you so doing? Gloom? Adam?

Speaker 4 (01:56:43):
It gets the issue here, here's some bs going on
because I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (01:56:46):
I don't know what you're talking about.

Speaker 4 (01:56:47):
What any problem you're about to understand?

Speaker 2 (01:56:49):
Okay, So last week on Today, okay.

Speaker 4 (01:56:52):
We were on opposite sides on the Chicago Browns game.
Yes we were, and I ended up being right there
this You did, Uh tough ass, Adam, because you still
were one and three and Kevin went three and one.
That was the only game I got, oh for real? Yes,
and I really don't need. That was just three weeks remaining.

(01:57:13):
This is week sixteen.

Speaker 3 (01:57:14):
Well, now it's the time for you to try to
mount your rally there at him. I have faith in you.

Speaker 4 (01:57:18):
I'm gonna need a four and oh week here, and
I haven't had one, I think all season long. Say,
I don't know if either of us have had a
four and a week, to be honest with you, no
uf and half.

Speaker 2 (01:57:27):
Oh okay, sure I may have. I may have already
known that.

Speaker 4 (01:57:30):
But anyway, look at this, this, this, this, this is
this is fake humble, fake raggedocious humility going on. I
don't like it.

Speaker 3 (01:57:38):
Oh the comeback starts now, Adam, All right about that?
It's so sorry. So what's your So what's your on?
We have teiffe two on two off. We have two
games where you pick favorites. We have two games where
you pick the underdogs to cover the spread. So give
me an on, Adam, Let's start your four and oh
streak this week.

Speaker 4 (01:57:52):
Well hold on now, player, Yeah, I'm twenty nine and
thirty one now on the season. Okay, you're thirty four
and twenty and Joel Klatt's thirty six and forty.

Speaker 2 (01:58:05):
The shots at Joel Klatt all right.

Speaker 4 (01:58:08):
My first on where I'm going with a favorite to
cover this. On a favorite, I'm taking Denver minus three
and a half at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Speaker 2 (01:58:21):
That's a big game.

Speaker 4 (01:58:23):
I don't trust the Jaguars still, they've been beaten up
on some sorry competition. I don't trust Trevor Lawrence against
that defense. I think Denver covers the spread of three
and a half. That's my first on what do you got?

Speaker 3 (01:58:36):
I didn't want to touch that one. I thought that
Jacksonville might actually be able to put up a fight.
I do think Denver wins, but we'll see how exactly
how that plays out.

Speaker 4 (01:58:42):
I WoT, hey, hey, if you're not going to touch it,
I don't need your analysis in case I'm wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:58:47):
Throwing in my opinion as all. That's all I'm doing.

Speaker 3 (01:58:49):
I like the Vikings as three point favorites over the Giants.
JJ McCarthy. You know back in there that offense can
fire up a little bit, and I love that. I
love as the defense out there that they have is
well so Brian Floor is against that Giants offense. So
I like the Vikings cub with covering the three has
three point favorites over the Giants.

Speaker 4 (01:59:06):
So that's my on, all right, Starry to do this
to you, But after what the Raiders did last week,
I know it's a big number. I got the Texans
at home minus fourteen as my other on picking a
favorite here, it's.

Speaker 2 (01:59:22):
Only fourteen, all right.

Speaker 3 (01:59:23):
So they got that half point back when we found
out that Geno Smith is playing?

Speaker 2 (01:59:26):
Is that what happened?

Speaker 4 (01:59:27):
Oh he's playing? Does anybody want that to happen?

Speaker 1 (01:59:32):
The Raiders shot him?

Speaker 2 (01:59:33):
Does it matter?

Speaker 4 (01:59:35):
I don't know how they're gonna score against this defense. Yeah,
they didn't score last week. Well, now they're taking on
an even better defense. I like the Texans in this one.
What you other on that was.

Speaker 3 (01:59:45):
Very tempted to take that one myself, to be honest
with you, But that's that's a large number to lay,
even with the Raiders, so I saw I stayed away
from it. And this was a tough one too, But
ultimately I like the Lions minus seven over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 2 (01:59:57):
It must win really for both of these teams.

Speaker 3 (01:59:59):
I just think in the Dome at home for Detroit,
they need this more or they're going to be able
to put up more points than the Steelers are, but
their offense is unstoppable. Both defenses, specifically, the Lion's defense
is just really banged up at this point in time.
But I don't know if the Steelers have enough to
be able to keep up with them offensively. So a
lot the Lions minus seven of this Pittsburgh.

Speaker 4 (02:00:17):
Wait a second, I didn't see that one. I liked
that call. Damn it, all right, my offs, my underdogs,
you can change, you can make a way change.

Speaker 2 (02:00:27):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (02:00:28):
I'm resolute. You know what they said with the scantron,
go with their initial instincts.

Speaker 2 (02:00:33):
See always color and see.

Speaker 4 (02:00:36):
It's worked great for me. Yeah, uh, this is not
work great. I don't know what I'm doing here. Panthers
plus three at home against Tampa Bay.

Speaker 3 (02:00:46):
If you talk trash about him for fifteen straight minutes
and all of a sudden.

Speaker 4 (02:00:49):
Well they could still lose. I just need him to
cover here. What do you got, all.

Speaker 3 (02:00:54):
Right, my off I got the Ravens three point favorites
over the Patriots. That talks about it earlier. I know
it's a must win for the Ravens, but I think
it's a must for the Patriots. I think the Patriots
cover the spread and get the victory there on Sunday
Night football over Baltimore.

Speaker 4 (02:01:04):
Well, we talked me into this one. Browns plus ten
and a half at home against the Buffalo Bills. I
just think they could have a letdown game after that
big comeback in New England and she do or can't
play any worse. Last one for you, Well, I.

Speaker 3 (02:01:19):
Had the Packers as one point favorites over the Bears,
but the Bears have now jumped them all of a
sudden as one a f point favorites. So I'm a
gonna guy. You know what, I'll go with the Bears.
