Oh, welcome in Happy Week one Sunday to you.
Speaker 5 (00:42):
We made it. We've finally made it, the first.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
NFL Sunday of the NFL season. It is a beautiful thing.
I got I think three minutes of sleep last night.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
I'm just kidding. It's like Christmas morning from me. I
can't wait to open up these presents over you kidding me?
Speaker 5 (01:00):
Jeff Brack, Good morning to you guys.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Ever, I can guarantee I was text him last night
at like nine o'clock his time, and he was in
better ready.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
I couldn't move.
Speaker 6 (01:08):
I went to sleep before I look. I was up.
I was in I had a travel issue in getting
out of New York on Thursday, and so I was
up early Friday to get to get there. I was
late for the Chiefs game Friday night. Always did bed
last night before the end of the Michigan game. I
felt good about where I was at, though in my
way during that game, so I went to sleep. Guys,
(01:29):
I'm getting tired of this of the bad beat discussion
about football games. I feel like we have gotten the
point where we just throw that word out well actually
knowing what it means. Can I give you as an example?
And of course we give you as an example. So
(01:50):
I wake up this morning and listening to some cultural podcasts.
I'm sort of reading, you know, social media. I see
I see Lane Kiffin say, hey, guys, I'm sorry the
old Miss coach I didn't cover for you. Guys. Actually,
last night right and people were talking about that game
is a bad beat. If you had Old Miss minus
nine or minus ten, whatever it was, Kentucky was inside
the number for ninety eight percent of this game. They
(02:12):
kicked the late Old Miss went up thirty twenty with uh,
here we go with one excuse me, no, that's the
wrong one. Here they went. They went up. Yeah, yeah,
thirty twenty with one ten left in this game. Okay,
before that, Kentucky was was was in the number covering
(02:33):
for fifty nine minutes. Kentucky came back down and kicked
the field goal to end up covering that game. How
is that a bad beat? How is that a bad beat?
The right side was Kentucky. If Old miss had had
covered that game, then the Kentucky backers would have a
bad beat. If you were covering for fifty nine minutes
of a game and you don't cover in the end,
(02:54):
that's a bad beat. If you're a Candadis fan today,
sorry you got that's a bad beat. Missouri trying to
run the clock out. You cover the whole game. They
scored fifty five years touchdown, they went by eleven and
I think it was eleven, and you don't cover yard Kansas.
I'm just kind of frustrated with this. Like everyone says
that none of it is a bad beat. It's not
that way. And I was spent money to someone last night.
It's not. If you're if you're do you agree with me?
(03:16):
Are we in the same page here, It's not a
bad beat if you're if you're if you're covering for
fifty nine minutes.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Well, we had shows about that. Now there's like, you know,
not just not just.
Speaker 6 (03:24):
But SVP does it right, he doesn't do these games.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
It's not why there beats, not just SVP. It's first
thing I said there, Yeah, because they had nothing to
talk about and they only watched the games from their
side of the ball, like I've said, uh, and they
just think that that was a bad beat because I lost.
They they didn't lose because they bet that game on
their side. Of course they're going to come up with
reasons and they say, oh, just people in general that
(03:49):
like I said, the human condition, we're made up of
people that don't like to lose, and we have to
look for reasons why we lose. And it can't be
because we picked the bad team. It's oh, oh it's
a bad beat because of such and such. So I
didn't know what you were going to open up with there,
but I think it's a fantastic point. Fantastic Brian.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
I'm with you.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
It's it's a different category, right, Like, it's not a
bad beat, so you're miscategorizing it. For anybody who says
that it was, I would say that you know your
emotions got teased, right, Like you're sitting there the whole
game like, gosh, I was on the wrong side on
this one. And then and there's a glimmer of hope
and you're like, but wait, but wait, maybe it will
(04:31):
work out, and then it doesn't. You know, It's it's
sort of like, I don't know. The the Brazilian underwear
model is like, hey, I've got a jacuzzi.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
Are you busy? You want to hang out?
Speaker 4 (04:40):
And you're like are you yeah, yeah, let's go, and
she's like, I just remember it. I can't and you're like,
what do you mean that? That's kind of what happened
in the old miskeit beat.
Speaker 6 (04:51):
It's fine to be teased and think you've won the
wager when you really shouldn't, but doesn't make it a
bad beat. And the second thing about college football that
I just it irks me to no end. We're gonna
start off with some with some, with some, with some
frustrations on the short side here. I had a great
day yesterday, five to five and two contest day, first
content ever done. I just looked at the standings. I'm
(05:11):
sitting good. I'm never gonna win, man Like I'm in
the culturable contest with the Super Bowl. I mean it
was like, you guys in I head are eleven and two,
eleven and three, Like, I'm just not gonna be a.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
It is amazing, isn't it.
Speaker 6 (05:26):
He's like, I'm just I'm nine and five. I'm off
to a great start. Just no chance. Now there's someone
who's one to thirteen, which feels impossible to do. Wow,
that feels way tougher than nine to five. Is like,
is is why Bryce Underwood's Mission's quarterback? Okay, he's eighteen
years old. He made a second start on the road
(05:46):
at Norman, and the entire internet is crapping on this kid,
and I don't understand. Do you know? I bet against
Michigan last night. I bet their team total under twenty
and a half? Is my favorite play of the week.
Is my best bet on some of these shows I do.
I mentioned yesterday I think in the Morning with uh
with Anthony on the Fellows, is that that is the
(06:08):
hardest position in all college football, true freshman, first road start,
top fifteen team against a great defense, when you have
an offense line's not very good. And that was the
performance we should have all expected anything better than that.
You like you clapp her and you say, great job, buddy,
but the harshness and I'll tell you where this is going.
(06:30):
Like so Oregon has Dante More now and Dante More's
a true freshman. Had the same games at UCLA on
the road at U top ten, Utah on the road
at ten when Oregon State on the road at Washington State,
or it was so we played on the road a
third time as a starter, and it wasn't pretty because
it's hard. It's hard. And then like so why do
(06:53):
we why are we so hard on an eighteen year
old making the second start in Norman, I think anything,
And again, Michigan really should have had like six points.
I mean they had one long touchdo on that seventy
five yeard touchdown run. Otherwise their offense had about two
hundre yards and like that was it. Brian, I frustrats
the heck out of me. I know, like like you
FCJ Carr and ned Am he actually seed expectations against Miami.
(07:16):
But if he had played poorly, I would have been like, yeah,
that makes sense. I picked Miami in that game for
that reason. Like he's retrofreshman though making his first start,
top ten team on the road. He's gonna struggle. That's
what the sport is, you know, hardest to play on
the road in general. And then add in the defense
and the noise and Michigan's offense. I don't think it's
like the best designed offense for an Oklahoma game, like,
(07:38):
you know, so all these things. I just think we
got to give these guys grace.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
Man No, it's it's really important because you're providing context.
I think a lot of people take it out of
context where you're just not factoring in first road start
in a crazy environment that has to be factored in
there to what you expect and what happened, and there
are a lot of people just don't apply it.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
They're just like, there are people hitting me up about c. J.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Carr, who, all things considered, played pretty well against Miami,
and they're just like, oh, you didn't look the part.
And I was kind of like you where I'm like,
this first road start, it's the first college start. What
you like settled down a little bit on this one.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
Now.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Listen arch Manning last week his first start against Ohio State.
Some of those throws, there's just no excuse for those
so he's skipping his first throw.
Speaker 6 (08:27):
And started though he's played games like he's been a right.
That's why I picked Texas because, yeah, he has played before.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
So there are some things where yeah, I get it,
even in spite of first road start or first real
start on the road. Okay, you can't, you know, justify
some of those throws fair. But to just chalk everything
up and be like this guy's a hack, it's like,
to your point, it's the first road start. You got
to take that. You can't take that out of context.
(08:53):
A lot of people do.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Brian Jeff went five and two yesterday. Yeah, came into
the show. What the ahead of Steam? What's gonna happen
when he goes two and five?
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Wow? Steam? I love it.
Speaker 6 (09:06):
I love look I college. I'm just a much better
in college. I'll just admit it. I And it's just
it's I think that the markets are at least early
the season. I bet cracks and I hate this so much.
I bet on favorites heavy yesterday. I had USC minus
twenty eight and a half. I had Organ minus twenty nine.
I had Alabama minus thirty seven. Yeah, no, you can do.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
That in college. I'm not against that.
Speaker 6 (09:29):
By the way, fifty five, No, sixty two, nothing, sixty three.
Speaker 5 (09:33):
Nothing like they're playing.
Speaker 6 (09:36):
It's fine up this week. I'll tell you right now,
it's not. It won't be in the contest because they're
playing Villanova. But Penn State looked bad yesterday. They get
Villanova this weekend. It's gonna be forty two and a half,
forty five and a half. I don't care. I'm taking
as soon as that number drops Friday night. Yeah, I'm
signing up for that. I had Utah and now I
wasn't the content that Utah minus forty two and a
half they won sixty nine to nine. Some of these
(09:58):
you have to.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
Pick and choose, especially in the season.
Speaker 6 (10:00):
Just yet pick and choose your spot for those to
do that. I mean, look, I didn't take LSU or
Jordan Georgia. The rain delay kind of screwed them, I think,
covering the spread yesterday because they were just when you
have a two hour rain delay, just we saw in
the Thursday night game, so we were going to sleep. I
went to bed twenty four to twenty at the Raindolay
Thursday night football, all right, I had to wake up
(10:22):
at four o'clock to fly home. I woke up, looked
at my phone twenty four to twenty. I thought the
game was suspended.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
I was.
Speaker 6 (10:31):
I didn't realize they had played the rest of the
tame and they punted any times in a row. I
was like, I'm not tiving the over in that game.
Speaker 5 (10:37):
Oh that was insane.
Speaker 6 (10:39):
And I actually I was legit thought the game was
suspended and I was looking to see like the news
of when they're going to make it up. And no, no,
they just that was it. The game just no one
scored for rain delays are hard like that. You get
warmed up, especially second half, like get warmed up and
then you set off back down for an hour and
a half. You just emotionally. And I'd been in these
in the preseason for the most part is the preseason
(10:59):
the South. You have those thunderstorms. You just don't want
to play anymore.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
You're gonna play, Jeff, you just hit me up about this.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
What happens in that locker room?
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Are you sitting on the bench and you're just and
it just takes all the endoor fits fantastic.
Speaker 6 (11:14):
Just sit there. I mean, look, Consworth even talked about
it as they went into the tunnel on the brocket,
he goes, he goes, he goes, this, this is not
gonna be good, like especially after halftime. Right, so you
have the halftime, you come back out, you start playing again,
and then you have an hour and a half break.
Your body is just like you're just like because you
sit there that you're in the locker, nothing to do.
(11:35):
Sit there. You probably take your pads off, you cut
your tape off, your hands like you just on your phone,
like I you just you justnds. You might if it's
that long. If it's that long, you look crack. Look
I take my hands pretty heavily. If I've used the potty,
I can't. I can't do it. I got to. I've
cut my tape off, you know, look, I gotta which
(11:56):
I had a I made a rule essentially in my
brain over playing high school college NFL one time with
my tape on. Otherwise I just my body knew like
we're done, We're just we're closed off. Soon as the
hands get taped up, and so you know, like again
like if if if I knew I had an hour
and a half delay, I would probably cut my tape
(12:17):
off and retape. So my tape was like still firm
on my hands. I'm not cutting my ankle tape off, probably,
but I'll probably get rid of I'd probably cut my
hands off. Yeah, I mean, if I'm if I'm sitting
there for an hour and a half in the locker room,
I'm not gonna keep my hands taped, So I would.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Jeff, would you think automatically then from this experience, would
you say to yourself, unders going to be a bet
second half or live?
Speaker 3 (12:39):
You could live?
Speaker 6 (12:41):
Yeah, it would have been live. I mean, like think
about Okay, So we basically had we had the Eagles
Cowboys game raindlad and then we had to believe two
games Yesterday got rain delaid. The Clemsing game got rain delaid,
and the Georgia we had weather last night in the
South and we got we got crazy thumbs storms here.
It was super hot yesterday. Both those games went under.
Georgia it comes in was twenty seven sixteen, and then
(13:04):
we had Georgia was what twenty four to six. I
think it was a pretty twenty five six something like that.
It's low scoring, right, yea twenty eight six, twenty eight six,
So those are both under Week one. The UCF game
got rain delayed. Forever. That was what six nothing, I
was some insane number, like some insanely low number like that.
I just think it's really difficult in those situations to uh,
(13:29):
to play, to get back up emotionally when you've sort
of you even even started the game, Like there's a
little bit of of just emotional drainage just sitting in
the locker room waiting, waiting to play again. So I'm
I'm not surprised now. Again, it's not a bl and all.
I can't tell you just take every under every time
there's a long rain delay. But I certainly think it's
(13:52):
worth thinking about when it comes to how you might
handicap a game in the you know, live live in
the game try off on the UCF or Week one
was and.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
I was gonna say College m pro S exactly.
Speaker 6 (14:03):
It was seventeen seventeen ten. They played Jacksonville State in
Week one and that was a rain de lake game
forever and that one under of course as well. So
I think crack you had that under that week is
in that game. So I just wanting to note Reindla,
like today, I don't know if that storm's probably on
it is bad today, It's not that hot outside. But
if you get storms for a long time, man, it's
really mentally draining us in that locker om and do nothing.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
Plus you you taped up your man area too, right,
it wasn't just the hands, so you had to you know,
you had to get the tape gone with a couple
of areas all right there.
Speaker 6 (14:37):
I don't know where you think we put tape, Briand
there's no there's no cups either. That's one thing people
that we were.
Speaker 5 (14:42):
That's weird, right, cups in football that.
Speaker 6 (14:44):
Would be so painful, Like that's actually not even worth
the like you wouldn't It doesn't get hit very often,
it only gets.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
It on purpose. Than that, though most people think you
were a coup, I.
Speaker 6 (14:55):
Think kids, I think they were like cups, Like any
youth were cups. Okay, you know like there was that
movie Gridiron Gang with the rock and they all like
put cups on before practice. I was like, what are
you like it's in movies and stuff. I don't think
that's not a thing. You'll wear a cup. It would
be annoying to move sure with a cup and you
only got time you get hitting the groin. But that
someone does it on purpose there's no like you rarely
(15:15):
get groin shots, so uh no, Brian, there's there's just
a hand tape, knee tape, ankle tape, elbow, shoulder, and
uh I'll tell you what, there' gonna be some teams
today that might have to have some tape removed that
they can play better because some ugly, ugly numbers today.
Speaker 5 (15:31):
Wow. All right, No, I'm just kidding around. I know
that serious short.
Speaker 6 (15:36):
You watch too much Rudy, Do you have too much
tape down there?
Speaker 5 (15:39):
That's why he was productive at the very end right there.
Speaker 6 (15:42):
You know.
Speaker 5 (15:43):
All right, we're off and running.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
We've got Bill Krachenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, serious
Schwartz here today.
Speaker 5 (15:48):
No kidding around, We're business like.
Speaker 6 (15:50):
Yes, you're trying to avoid the Treefs discussion as long
as I can.
Speaker 5 (15:53):
So yeah, I'm Brian though.
Speaker 6 (15:55):

All right, So I tread lightly, tread carefully here when
it comes to trends, because I know you crack you
like to, you know, the kembe matumbo, some of these
trends like no, no, no, the wagging finger in front
(18:07):
of the face of some of these people stating trends.
But I do from time to time, I think there's
something to some of these trends. Try this one on.
So home underdogs and there are a couple of them
in this week. You know, there are three of them
that I see right now, home underdogs. So home underdogs
in week one. This goes back to twenty ten against
(18:30):
the number. They are twenty three and seven.
Speaker 6 (18:33):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (18:34):
If you want something a little more.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
Recent, if you go back to twenty eighteen, right, home
underdogs in week one, ten and two against the spread.
So if you think about the Browns as a home
underdog plus five and a half, the Seahawks are a
home underdog. These are divisional home underdogs too. That's the
distinction that I didn't mention. Shame on me, divisional home
(18:55):
underdogs in week one. That's also applying to the Falcons here.
Do you think there's something too that I absolutely do?
But you know a lot of sometimes Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Actually out a ton of them, so very unusual, Very good, Brian,
good subject.
Speaker 6 (19:08):
Yeah. I mean it's just week one, like you have,
you're all fresh, right, there's no injuries, You've had two
weeks to prepare for these games. You're gonna see different
things than you're prepared for. I'm on one for sure
which is the Browns. I got to look and see
(19:29):
what other ones I have. I have pulled up here.
I've made so many wagers the last couple of days.
You know, the Browns come to mind. Look that the
Jets is a super ugly side, but it makes sense
fading Rogers in this game. Of the problem is right
now the number is no, it's back to three minus
one twenty five. There was an opportunity to get that.
That number has been sort of up and down, you know,
(19:50):
throughout throughout the day. I thought that we guys should
say so, I'm I agree with with the trend as
far as where Look you're Seattle. You're at home against
the Niners with McCaffrey a little beat up still, and
I get this trend a lot the Browns. To me,
I like the Browns a lot to cover this game.
The Falcons number, you can't bet it now. You missed
on the best number. It's not one. I bet MGM,
(20:11):
so you missed on that one. I would not play
the Saints. I wouldn't do it. You're welcome to. I
wouldn't there. You know, it's not not my not my
cup of tea. So I I totally get it you
Buffalo late tonight and plus one at the moment. So uh,
these make it makes a lot of sense on these sides.
One thing I haven't done, Brian, like I haven't looked
at baseball. I do look at baseball all yesterday at
(20:34):
all yesterday, even though as it was playing, which is
a shocker for me, I just was so I have
no idea, just I it's been so football it's the best. Oh,
it's absolute best. I do to feit this guy today though,
I need to make that wager I have.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
This is the first year I can remember that. I
am focusing a little bit more on sides and looking
now my list, boy, I have bet a lot of
these dogs. Giants are still six out there. Actually six
and a half came up today at one of the
key sports books. So actually a lot of Washington money
coming coming in against against the Giants. So Giants, Cleveland,
(21:10):
there were some sixes out there. You have to go
by the five and a half now, which is fine.
I agree. I am on. You know, Atlanta, I don't
know what I sent to you, Jeff, I don't know
if did Atlanta and Seattle I think I sent both
of them on Yeah, but but they have come down
a little bit again. Not not now when you use
(21:31):
portion of bankroll, I'm betting like one third of what
I'm betting on a prop on the NFL side. But
I am betting NFL sides this year. I like something
that people don't like this. We're gonna go over all
these games, I understand, But boy, the support for Baltimore. Wow,
I can every single syndicate that I know, Every wise
(21:54):
guy that I know that's betting the game is betting Baltimore.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
I haven't found one person betting Buffalo.
Speaker 6 (22:00):
So everyone I've talked to you this week about this game,
same thing. I will tell you. There's the one side
that I'm just gonna have to just suck it up
today is the Giants. The bartender he's making forgot about
that he will he's on the Commanders today. Correction was
fort until last year when he went like fifty five
(22:21):
sixty percent, which is incredible. So like he from years
and years forty, I think he'll come back to Earth.
But I just think the Commanders are the right side.
I just can't get over it. But you have Europe
plus six crack. I don't want to be the side
of the bartender. Sure, I feel like I'm on an
island here with the commanders. I'd probably wrong if you're
on an island on a team in this game.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
So doing with the voice this year?
Speaker 6 (22:43):
Right? So the Voice is not not giving out picks
quite the same? I think the voice really the voice
had a couple couple of rough months. All the months
that are rough, and they're not giving out wagers anymore
on social media. I gotta go in the app and
fire them.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
And I just don't care enough why the voice? Why
is the non.
Speaker 6 (23:03):
Social voices very bad at gambling? And I think the
Voice is getting a little bit frustrated with this being bad.
I mean they there's the tracking has been like having
weeks where the voice is is thirteen and forty in
a given week. So, ok, try to find the voice's
places for today. I'm trying to find them.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
But if you could find them on the break, let
us know. I want to know every week and then
it's you know, and guys, guys and girls listening. What
the voice is is just a bad person in social media,
and we bet against. It's just as good to find
a losing handicapper as it is a winning handicapper. So
(23:44):
we found one over the years that's absolutely buried people
put them in homeless shelters, and we let them, you know,
we bet against the voice.
Speaker 6 (23:52):
And the thing about last year, too, is the Voice
and the bartender had had decent years, a very public year.
Last year. I thought we're coming back to earth a
little bit this year. It just can't be that way.
It just can't. You saw college football, man, all these
comfortable sides, all the public sides are getting they're getting
destroyed earlier season. So I think we're coming back to
earthier in the NFL. Look, the Cowboys covered right, that
(24:12):
was not that was a sharp side. The Chargers were
I think a sharp side. I think I don't know.
Chiefs didn't look very good. So Brian, well, it's gonna
be a it's gonna be a sharp year.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
I just want to verify the voice, like, quote unquote,
the name isn't Isaac loehen Kron is it.
Speaker 6 (24:32):
It's not no Isaac. Isaac is actually eighty five percent.
Speaker 5 (24:35):
Winn you even mention that, I like I knew the answer.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
I just want to make sure, like maybe I had
the wrong information here. But in terms of the voice
with you know, knowledge, you know, insight facts. That's Isaac
Lowancron who is with us this morning? I Low with
the latest.
Speaker 8 (24:55):
Boy, thank you.
Speaker 9 (24:56):
My voice dropped a couple of octaves with that lead up,
So much appreciated.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
As always.
Speaker 9 (25:01):
In fresh NFL news this morning, the Arizona Cardinals added
quarterback Kyler Murray to their injury report for today's game
at New Orleans due to illness, but he does not
have a game status and the Cardinals said that Murray
will play. NFL media reported Kansas City Chiefs receiver Xavier
Worthy suffered a dislocated shoulder in Friday's loss to the Chargers.
(25:22):
Detroit Lions receiver Jamison Williams has agreed to a three
year extension worth up to eighty three million dollars. In
college football, on Saturday night, Mississippi State knocked off number
twelve Arizona State twenty four to twenty. Blake Shapen the
game put a fifty eight yard touchdown pass to Brennan
Thompson with thirty seconds to play. Eighteenth ranked Oklahoma defeated
(25:44):
number fifteen Michigan twenty four to thirteen. So thanks to
the popular social media site message board geniuses, let's check
in on some Michigan fans and see how they were
processing this loss on the message boards. Alan Marca posting quote,
fire them all before they reach Ann Arbor unquote. Then
(26:07):
Ryan underscore, Cooper underscore Day added quote, Sharon Moore is
a fraud, and then in all caps from here on in.
Speaker 10 (26:17):
Quote pound the effin rock. Everything they built the last
four years just got a raised. I have seen nothing
but finess nimrod era offense unquote.
Speaker 9 (26:31):
That's a term I haven't heard before. Finesse nimrod Era offense.
Very impressive anyway. In Major League Baseball, on Saturday night,
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto was one out away
from a no hitter when the Orioles Jackson Holiday broke
it up with a home run. Orioles would go on
to score three more times in the bottom of the
night inning to stun the Dodgers four to three. Padres
(26:55):
one in Colorado ten to eight, so they trailed the
Dodgers by one in the National League West and cal
raly it is major league leading fifty second home run
in the Seattle Mariners eleven to two victory at Atlanta Guys.
Speaker 5 (27:10):
Thank you, Ilo.
Speaker 4 (27:10):

(27:34):
At the Browns, there's another trend that I can absolutely
see this changing here. This goes back to what twenty nineteen.
The last six years, their record in weeks one and
two is one and eleven. That's under head coach Zach Taylor.
The first year, Burrow wasn't there, but he's been there
ever since. The second year. Last five years, Burrow's record
(27:56):
is one in eight in the first two weeks. But
you saw in the preseason the Ones got a lot
more playing time, starters.
Speaker 5 (28:02):
Played a lot more.
Speaker 4 (28:03):
He saw Burrow get legitimate action in the preseason. It's
such a focus to start off faster that I would
not ride this trend. I could see the Browns, you know,
not winning, but covering. I could see that, and we
go back to the you know, the home underdog, the
visional home underdogs. In Week one, I could see the
Browns covering the spread. I have a hard time seeing
(28:25):
them winning outright, because there's such a focus for the
Bengals not to start off slowly as they have in
the last six years. So I think sometimes a trend
is going to reverse, and I think it's a great
spot for it to reverse. In terms of the Bengals
at least winning today, I can see that happening.
Speaker 6 (28:42):
Yeah, I think they win, but their defense is still atrocious.
I think the Browns Flacco, which is that week one healthy,
it's going to be all season. You have a ton
of offense. He didn't show in the preseason because he
didn't play, and this is the opportunity to let it
all out in this one game, make it happen. I
wouldn't be surprised if this game went well over. I
haven't wager on a total in this game that would
(29:06):
not surprise me one bit. This is I would you
know this game both teams touching thirty around there, I
would I would not surprise me at all. With the
Bengals defense, the defense is atrocious, and I think so
Fansky will design some good things today.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
Jeff.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
Speaking of that, I've received a text from someone I
really respect in sports betting, not so much NFL, but
this was something he said to me.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
I'll ask both of you guys.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Do you think that maybe the line maker hasn't adjusted
for these the new kickoff rules and maybe how about
you know they get the ball in the thirty five.
They basically have to get like twenty three yards.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
For these guys to kick a field goal.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
So do you think maybe the overs are maybe just
not shaded enough towards the over.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
This is something he said to me.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
He said, you know these games, maybe the book the
book makers haven't adjusted or this kickoff and also for
these kickers booming sixty our field goals like nothing.
Speaker 6 (30:05):
Yeah, So we talked about this when it came to
the preseason and the numbers. You know that they were
so high in the preseason and why why is that?
And I theorized the kickoff rule, but I don't. I
don't think I can just make a blanket overplay because
(30:25):
of that. I just I don't think that's what I'm
gonna do. But it's worth thinking about and seeing if
that's somewhere that ends up.
Speaker 5 (30:35):
Yeah, yeah, no, I think that's fair.
Speaker 4 (30:37):
And uh, it's tough to find the middle ground there
because you don't want to just go, oh yeah, new
kickoff rules, kickers banging, you know, sixty plus yarders and
you're just making over bets left and right.
Speaker 5 (30:49):
It doesn't apply that everybody, right, you just bet.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
Every game over.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
But it's pretty interesting that because he said since the
over and I just thought about that. But going back
to this, if anyone would have told me that a
few years ago we had Joe Flacco opening a game
in twenty twenty five, I would have told you no way.
But here we are, forty year old Joe Flacco is
starting for the Browns his eighteenth season in the NFL,
(31:14):
and he's going to face up like like Jeff said,
there or one of you guys said, the Bengals defense
that has been one of the worst in the NFL
these past two seasons. So the matchup I'm most interested
to see on the other side of the field, four
time All Pro denzil Ward versus probably the best wide
receiver in the game, Jamar Chase. So I do like
(31:35):
the Browns, like I said early in the week with
that six, but the current one, you know, six is not.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
Such a key number. No, more like it was.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
There's fives, five and a half is five and a half.
Sorry I'm looking right now, but you know, right now
it's kind of a pass for me at that number.
But I do lean towards the Browns though in this game.
Speaker 4 (31:56):
Also, Yeah, and your guy Joe Flacco is going there, Jeff,
you know you definitely want to back Flacco, right, it's
your guy.
Speaker 6 (32:05):
Uh, in week one is gonna be my guy, and
then he's.
Speaker 5 (32:07):
Nothing like that. That's it. I love for one week,
that's all.
Speaker 6 (32:10):
I like. Some ugly, some some fugly. Are we doing
Are we doing the crack Challenge?
Speaker 3 (32:15):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (32:16):
Yeah, we got a good right crack. We're doing the
Crack Challenge again.
Speaker 6 (32:19):
So I didn't look at the I didn't look at
the whole. I didn't look done. Three hour run.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
I didn't even tell you guys, like about where was it?
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
Maybe a month ago someone text me and said, I
know I heard about this crack challenge you have. He said,
five games against the spread. He said, I'm willing to
bet anyone they bet money. Uh, this is This is
a guy that I just know. This guy is a
money guy. He said, I'll bet anyone money and I'll
lay them one and a half to one that they
(32:46):
can't win at the end of the season. But I
just forgot to tell you guys, Wow, I was like,
I would lay one and a half to one that
no one could bet five games a week, every week
against the spread and wind up a winner at the
end of the year, and I'll lay them one and
a half to one.
Speaker 6 (33:00):
Did I win last year?
Speaker 4 (33:01):
Yeah, Jeff one, Jeff was fifty We're both over fifty
percent the first year.
Speaker 3 (33:06):
Yeah, no, I know that. I think we were like
with juice.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Probably maybe I tell you what, I'd be willing to
maybe take this bet because the one and a half
to one, I'm almost right.
Speaker 6 (33:16):
Did I finish like fifty four percent last year or something?
You have you probably have the numbers.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
Right, I had the records somewhere, But yeah, you were,
you were over fifty percent like you were.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Definitely is a nice season.
Speaker 6 (33:26):
Just that's what I was at. I think I.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
Could do that. Well, listen at fifty five percent. I
don't even want to tell you the kind of a
season people have at fifty five percent money wise, so uh,
if you.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
Have fifty I know you that.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
I know you've had some good seasons though, picking at
at post time.
Speaker 4 (33:46):
That's the real question, though, crack, are you backing us
or are you I would back are you.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
Fate taking even though even though this guy is a
he's not a professional gambler, but he's a he is
a professor, he's a very wealthy guy, and he heard
about the challenge and I totally forgot about it, and uh, yes,
I would take the I would take you guys with
the one fifty h plus one fifty at game time?
Speaker 4 (34:10):
Yes, okay, all right, can we bet on ourselves? Can
we do that?
Speaker 3 (34:13):
Right?
Speaker 5 (34:14):
I'm out there? Can we lack that in before the
end of the show.
Speaker 6 (34:17):
You to find our records. I'm sure we have an
email from last year in like the final week of
the season that has our record and we have to
figure out if we won those games in week seventeen
or not.
Speaker 5 (34:25):
Yeah, I'll search for it.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
I know I sucked last year, so I probably you know,
accidentally forgot about purpose deleted them.
Speaker 5 (34:31):
Or I know they're floating around somewhere.
Speaker 4 (34:33):
We've got Bill Grachenberger, professional sports handicapper.
Speaker 5 (34:36):
Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran. I'm Brian No.
Speaker 4 (34:39):
Coming up next the parlay platter, which have one selection

Speaker 3 (35:24):
Crack.
Speaker 5 (35:25):
We start with you, what do you like?
Speaker 1 (35:27):
Well, I'm gonna go with a prop here. I'm gonna
go to New York Giants. I'm just trying to get
the current number here at Johnson Over Receiving yards at
bet MGM. Okay, let's see deo Johnson good twenty four
and a half still twenty four and a half minus
a dollar ten talked about you know, they talk about
his role expanding here.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
So you're two.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
I like the Giants pass game today. Let's go over
with Johnson there.
Speaker 6 (35:52):
Okay? Maybe? So I have this have a podcast I
do with and one of the things I do my podcast,
you have a banned topic list, and one of my
band topics is the Colts. I just don't want to
talk about him. He's just kind of pointless, except I'm
betting on the Colts for speaking for a couple of reasons.
(36:13):
One is I think if you give Shane Styke in
their OC time with Daniel Jones, well, I don't think
Daniel Jones great. I think you will have a competent
game plan today, all right, and they'll use his legs,
go'll find easy spots for him and Brian just you
can take your headphones off of the new light.
Speaker 11 (36:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (36:33):
The Dolphins side, it's like, I just don't throw up
the Dolphins below average offensive line, a brand new secondary. Essentially,
what's the relationship like with Tua and Tyreek Hill? I
just don't like the situation for the Dolphins. So I
got Colts money line and maybe never talk about them
again the rest of the season. I think it's just
(36:53):
sort of like just the best you get a Daniel
Jones will be today. Right, They've had two weeks to prepare,
Brian only the culture that bad, So I'll take the
Colts here on the money line.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
Shame on you, Obviously, Cracks influence is getting to you,
fading all of my teams.
Speaker 5 (37:07):
So I don't know what's going on with you guys.
Speaker 6 (37:10):
Only Irish was week one. I'm not going to fade
them again.
Speaker 5 (37:12):
Maybe believable.
Speaker 4 (37:14):
I'm surprised you didn't work in the Saint Louis Cardinals
to this parlay somehow.
Speaker 6 (37:18):
You know they scored three to the ninth lass.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
I know I was about to text you, like, man,
my Cardinals are so rough this year, and the next
thing I know, they're pulling it out and winning.
Speaker 5 (37:27):
I'm like, oh gosh, wow, crazy.
Speaker 4 (37:29):
I'm gonna go with give me the Titans in Denver
under forty two and a half because here's my thinking.
Speaker 5 (37:37):
The ten then under.
Speaker 4 (37:39):
Right, Like I'm just looking at this and Denver plays
really good defense. That's a tough first start for cam
Ward on the road. We're just talking about, you know,
some of these college quarterbacks starting on the road week one.
I mean, your first pro start on the road against
a really, really good defense. That is not an easy assignment.
(38:00):
So I can't see the Titans scoring that many points.
And then also I just don't see the Broncos lighting
up Tennessee and just you know, scoring like crazy.
Speaker 5 (38:08):
I see more of like a twenty three ten, like
twenty four to thirteen games something like that. So I
think under forty forty two and a half is solid
play in that Titans Broncos game.
Speaker 6 (38:19):
I'm going to have a play in that game as
well in the total individual team total later and not
prop it up. So I think it's a tough spot
for the titand this game. Well, I'll tell you what.
I don't know how many Survivor entries Crack has, but
the Broncos are going to be playing a lot of them.
There's gonna be There's one person internet personality who is
(38:42):
not in the Survivor Contest but talks about it a lot,
who said he would take Tennessee if he played the
Survivor Contest. Okay, easy to say, well, you're not putting
your money down right, Yeah, crack, I think knows the
personality potentially. I text you about him a couple of times.
Oh yeah, yeah, And so I mean easy to say Internet,
I want to take a tennessee if.
Speaker 5 (39:01):
I had an entry, you don't have an entry.
Speaker 6 (39:03):
So yeah, easy enough for you to say that. You
would blow your one entry on right eight point road
dog starting a workie quarterback. You gets a great defense.
Speaker 4 (39:12):
I'm so glad you said that, because it does change
everything when you're putting your real money on it.
Speaker 5 (39:18):
Yeah, that's you can talk.
Speaker 6 (39:20):
I believe you're in a you're in a contest for survivor.
That's like you don't I don't want to say what
it's worth.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
The grand I filmed it, so I okay, it for
a one.
Speaker 6 (39:29):
Hundred thousand dollars for inch, right, Yeah, one.
Speaker 1 (39:32):
Hundred thousand dollars entry. And you know I'm in with
I'm in with two other guys. And you know, you
guys didn't see this part. So my buddy meets me here.
It gives me these bank envelopes with his money. I
go to the counter and one of the envelopes is
short two grand.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
I was like, I go ton account.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
They run the money down ninety eight thousand at the
counter instead of one hundred thousands. So I had hit
him up last thing. So listen one of your envelopes
for sure two grand. He's like, you know what, I've
been drinking the last couple of nights. I didn't realize.
Speaker 3 (40:03):
I wanted to.
Speaker 1 (40:03):
Count it down wrong? How come these envelopes were never over?
Why in life I never received a package that was
over never I I.
Speaker 6 (40:12):
Don't think I could even bring that up to my family.
I bet that much on that survivor that would be
good for you crash.
Speaker 3 (40:16):
Yeah, I took the third.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
We have sixty nine people in there. I got a
third of an entry. I also have about another I
have a lot. I have many survivors. I don't want
to say the amount, but I have. Missus Krackenberger got
involved this year.
Speaker 3 (40:31):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (40:32):
She just felt like gambling, so she bought ten also survivors.
And the overlay is actually the other contest, which is
about a seven hundred thou overlay in the millions.
Speaker 4 (40:43):
All right, so it's plus five eighty one for three
lay parlay here not also coming up next, a sneaky contender.
Speaker 5 (40:53):
Oh, what is going on?
Speaker 4 (40:54):
We are less than two hours away from kickoff here?
Week one first Sunday eight early games about to dive
into one that's actually an afternoon game that features a
possible sneaky contender that's in a few seconds.
Speaker 2 (41:09):
Hey.
Speaker 4 (41:09):
Throughout the entire football season, bet MGM will offer all
different types of no sweat tokens and odds boost tokens.
Be on the lookout for no sweat same game parlay tokens,
parlay boost tokens, and so much more.
Speaker 5 (41:21):
Okay, so a sneaky contender.
Speaker 4 (41:23):
How about the Houston Texans on the road against the
La Rams. It's an afternoon kick time over here? And
what the Rams still favored by three? And what do
you guys think about that. I've read a few things
in the offseason where every now and then someone will
be like, man, you know what, there's a team that's
getting no attention whatsoever. Who could make serious noise? How
(41:45):
about the Houston Texans? And I'll read the reasoning why
and I'm like, yeah, yeah, I mean you could sell
me on some of that. They should have a pretty
good defense. I don't know about their offensive line, Jeff,
you can speak to that, but CJ. Stroud will see
if he has a resurgence in year three. But man,
that old line. They lost Laramie Tunsel, They've got a
rookie starting at left tackle. It's a little dicey over
(42:06):
there with that old line.
Speaker 3 (42:08):
It is.
Speaker 6 (42:10):
The thing, the thing that uh, I just I just
don't know about Matt Stafford. You know, like, how do
you wager on this game without knowing if he's one
hundred percent or not. You could just say that's like
Houston plus the three and and live with that, knowing
that that might be the right number. No matter what
I think. It's not a bad number. It's a little surprising.
I know the Rams are really good, but this is again,
(42:32):
what's home field now, Crack two in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (42:34):
One and a half, No, I would say too, yeah, but.
Speaker 6 (42:37):
The Rams have no home field advantage. It's like zero.
It's like not like it's not like playing in so
far as some incredible holefoot advantage. But again, like so
they think this game is a one point even Fiel,
which feels about right, but man, yeah, the tests, no
one's talking about him. The offense line. To your point, Brian,
but they can rush the passer. See just John is
gonna better this year in the offense. That's more, it's
designed better for him to have success. We're not surprise
(43:00):
me if we look at this game. It's like, oh
Houston won twenty four twenty what what happened? And it
wouldn't surprise me all. I think, Look the Stafford thing,
it's difficult because you just don't know what you're in.
Yeff from hasn't hasn't played all preseason, hitting that back
weird one time, Brian. That's the end of the game
for him. So I would be concerned if you're on
the Rams in the spot. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (43:22):
A good matchup here.
Speaker 1 (43:23):
We have two teams that won playoff games last year,
both predicted to make the playoffs again this year. The
Texans where everybody's darling to the start last season, but
Stroud and the offense was very inconsistent throughout the regular season.
So remember they still crushed the Chargers in the first
round of the playoffs and they played the Chiefs tight,
eventually falling. It was twenty seven to nineteen. It was
(43:46):
something like that, and that was the score I think
into the eventual AFC champs. The Rams surprised a lot
of people last year. You know, I think I had
them at four to one to win the division. Pretty
good sized bet here.
Speaker 3 (44:01):
In town, and that really kind of surprised me. I
locked it up the last week, you know.
Speaker 1 (44:08):
But they you know, they made it to the Divisional
round playoffs before losing to the eventual Super Bowl champs Eagles,
which was a close game twenty eight twenty two. I
thought they were really in that game. This offseason, we've
all heard about the Rams camp, about of course, thirty
seven year old Matt Stafford's back issues, and speculation on
if you'll be able to start game one. Well, Stafford
(44:30):
will start today, but he will have the Rams fans
I'm sure cringing a little bit every time he takes
a hit. Going back to the Texas, their offseason was
all about rebuilding their offensive line. We just don't know
how they developed in camp though, Jeff, the offensive line
looks like they really have, you know, have to work
well together to be successful. On how long does it
(44:51):
usually take to gel as a unit before you make
some changes?
Speaker 6 (44:55):
What do you think that it really depends on the team. Honestly, Crack,
you know you can have a situation where like you
had a couple of pieces and your fine, uh situation
where Houston's for them specifically. Right, So you have a
new offense to to to think about. Right, So new
offense and you have an offensive line that you have
a rookie left tackle probably but maybe Camp Robinson plays.
Speaker 9 (45:17):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (45:17):
You know, you have your veteran at center, your veteran right.
It's just like kind of a mismatch hodge podge group
of guys right now. I can't give you a great
answer for that. I just know that if they can,
if they can give him a little bit of time,
he's got. He's got, you know, the ability to Stroud
does to have weapons and make plays. And so I
(45:39):
think it's it's certainly worth thinking about that when it
comes in. I want to find something the future market
is still love for football. It's got to be right.
There's still future market up right now. I'm trying to
have a hard time finding it because I like Jared Verse,
who's the Rams pass rusher to go over his sacks
for the season. I'm trying to see. But I don't
think that m YM has that market up with moment.
(46:00):
But Jared versus is good and the sack number is
way too low. It's something I've played a couple of
times this year. Betmjim had it up early this season.
I don't sign up now at the moment, but those
markets I think are fun to play, some of those
sack totals and whatnot, because it's a really good way
to try to find some more ways to make money.
Speaker 4 (46:19):
Sack market, Yeah, I have back channel ways, you know,
the dark web. You don't know about the bet MGM
dark Web like secret entrance, you know. I'll tell you
about that off air, Jeff, you know, but I've got
ye know.
Speaker 5 (46:33):
I'm looking at the sack runners right here.
Speaker 6 (46:35):
Yeah, found it, Yeah, I got I pulled it up.
I was able to get it. Is he up here
on the thing?
Speaker 5 (46:41):
No, too bad, you had to get on it a
little bit earlier.
Speaker 6 (46:44):
Right now. I also bet, by the way, it's still
up right now. But Nick Benito, the Denver pass rusher,
over nine and a half, I would bet that that's
a He had thirteen and a half last season. I
don't get that number. It feels incredibly low. I know
he cleaned up sometimes when other guys got home, but
that number feels super low, especially for team that's going
to be winning in a lot of games. Uh, in
the rushing, the pastor and the game. I like over
nine and a half for the Broncos pass rusher.
Speaker 4 (47:07):
Yeah, and like you said, you can get down on
that right now for it probably. I don't know if
they're going to have adjusted markets throughout the season. I
don't know that, but it's something to keep in mind
you probably want to get before a week.
Speaker 6 (47:21):
It depends on where on where you're at, uh in
the year. I mean, they're up some days, they're down
some days. You have to have to sort of be
very diligent to find those markets when they come up.
Good news though, the w NBA player props are up
a little earlier than usual.
Speaker 5 (47:39):
There you go, No.
Speaker 6 (47:42):
For prop it up later?
Speaker 5 (47:43):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (47:44):
Nice?
Speaker 4 (47:44):
Speaking of prop it up? You know this Texans Rams game,
something caught my eye. So Jayden Higgins, second round rookie
wide receiver for the Texans. His receiving yardage earlier in
the week was sixteen and a half. It's almost doubled.
It's a thirty one and a half right now. Now
that's coupled with Christian Kirk is out with a hamstring injury,
(48:06):
so obviously that ties to it. But man, for a
rookie wide receiver, his receiving yardage prop to essentially double
before kickoff was like, WHOA, Okay, interesting, I just had
to underline that at least. And then also the running backs,
it's gonna be a bit by committee.
Speaker 5 (48:23):
But Nick Chubb, how about that?
Speaker 4 (48:25):
Nick Chubb is RB one right here with the Texans
here the former Brown's running back, so he's at a
modest like thirty nine and a half rushing yards today.
It's gonna be a little bit by committee with Damian
Pierce if Wood, he marks the USC rookie in the
mix as well. But for a guy like Nick Chubb,
who battled a lot of injuries last season. Yeah, also
(48:46):
throughout his career resurfaces with the Texans with Joe Mixon
being out.
Speaker 6 (48:51):
Yeah, I'm curious about Chubb because last year was tough.
The average about three and a half yards to carry,
But that's off and knee injury, and we know year
two typically you're you're better.
Speaker 11 (49:03):
Now.
Speaker 6 (49:03):
The question is will we ever gain that long explosion back?
But that might not matter if you get the ball
twelve to fifteen times right, you bust the twenty yarder
one time, fifteen yarder. You guys play, you guys ever
play longest rush market? I like that.
Speaker 5 (49:19):
I like that market.
Speaker 6 (49:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (49:21):
And one other thing to the longest rush out of
all the every team, no.
Speaker 6 (49:26):
Individual players in a game like longest rush in a game,
sure of course the other the other one that uh,
it doesn't matter for today, but just just to keep
a note of Okay, I bet this on Thursday night.
It came up right before kickoff. The Eagles backup running
back to go over is a great wager. We did
it last year with Gainwell Brian every week shiftly went
over immediately hit. It's like a twenty yard rush immediately
(49:48):
was over done. Like that is a somebody's backup running
backs guys. Depends on the team, right, But if you're
in a situation where you have a by committee type
situation or even by committee like a team that the
Eagles run ball on third down a bunch, that's when
their backup running back is in and they because Barkley
plays so much, they rotate those guys through. But I
wouldn't bet the Raiders backup running backs to go over.
(50:09):
They're gonna give genty all the carries he can ever handle,
you know what I mean, when he's out of the game,
they're probably gonna let throw the ball, you know, like
it's gonna be one of the things where the Eagles
just interchange their guys so much that it's not true
running back by committee because Barkley gets the bulk of
the carries the running back by committee teams. I should
rephrase that worry me because you don't know who's gonna
get the carriags. You know exactly what's happening in Philly.
(50:30):
Barker's getting this amount of carries. Ship again, this amount
of carries. So I like looking at the backup running
back market for for some of these teams.
Speaker 4 (50:38):
There's something else like building up your point if you
work in another game. Giants at the Commanders today, and
I was looking at the running back market right for
the Commanders in particular. So there's one that to keep
in mind. So last year the Giants in the two
matchups against the Commanders, they gave up a combined three
hundred and sixty four rushing yards in two meetings of
(51:00):
rushing yards.
Speaker 3 (51:00):
Right.
Speaker 4 (51:01):
No, Brian Robinson Junior, he has been traded to the Niners,
and you look at these rushing totals for these guys,
it's like, let me get it for you. There's let's
see Austin Eckler is at twenty four and a half,
Chris Rodriguez Junior is at twenty two and a half.
Speaker 5 (51:17):
It's like they're gonna run the ball.
Speaker 4 (51:19):
It's not like it's just gonna be Jaden Daniels and
that's it. Now, I do have a rookie who's probably
gonna get a few carries and he's gonna eat into
the other guys totals there. But man, when we're in
the twenties, for like the starting running back, the backup
running back, these guys are getting carries. Now, I do
like the Giants front seven. But good lord, like you
gotta give me the twenty five rushing yards. It's it's
(51:43):
such a low number, man, I already bet Chris Rodriguez Junior.
Speaker 5 (51:46):
I just think that's way too low.
Speaker 6 (51:49):
I could see that being the case there, especially with
we've got to report the weather. It's kind of crummy,
right and yeah, but in the Northeast today, so I
think that certainly be the case where it's a big
run the ball game for both these teams.
Speaker 1 (52:04):
Yeah, you know this is a matchup today with the
Giants and tail of two different seasons. Really from last
year last year anyway? I mean Washington one of the
biggest surprise teams twelve and five last year Giants, I
don't know. Can it be one of the biggest disappointments
finishing six and eleven? I'll be blunt. This year, their
(52:25):
season wins are five and a half, So I actually
like I actually like the Giants over five and a
half season wins this year. But can Washington build off
that momentum and improve it even more this year? Will
the Giants be able to compete each game with Russell
Wilson a quarterback? How long really, you know? These New
York Giant fans the Eagle I'm gonna think the Eagles
(52:47):
fans are the toughest, Giants fans second toughest. How long
before the fans start calling out Jackson Dark's name? So
this is another one that I do like the dog
in this game, but a lot of a lot of
respect here, I'm looking at the screen in all my
live lines. Well, I'll tell you Washington is getting a
little bit of love though they're they're not They're not moving.
There were six is even six and a half's today.
(53:10):
You know, Washington won both close games last season if
you remember, the Giants were with out the kicker in
one of the games and and the second one came
down to a missed two point conversion. So I would
expect this one to be close today. Both teams made
significant changes in the offseason. The Commander's second year quarterback
Jaden Daniels, helps to build off that amazing rookie season
(53:31):
and uh and that he has Debo and McLaurin as
the main target. So this I'm looking forward to the
game though today.
Speaker 6 (53:37):
Go ahead, Jeff, I this game the Giants might cover.
I don't know. Again, I'm on the Giants because you're
on a crack the bar times on the Commanders. All
of the reasons why it's the Giants. I just pushed
back pretty severely on the Commander is gonna stink this season,
not stink, but take a step back. I just don't
buy it. Now. They might not be twelve and five,
(53:58):
they have a tougher schedule. They could be and seven,
eleven and six and still be really good. I just
don't buy it. The reasoning is twofold right. One is
that C J. Strausrugle last season that Jane Daniels gonna struggle,
which I don't get the correlation. But two is that
they played a bunch of backup quarterbacks, which they did,
and so again they might play better teams this year.
But I either better though better than the offensive line
(54:19):
right another year in dan Quinn's defense. But I also
think Jane Daniels is that guy. I think he's that
good of a player that I'm betting on him now.
I'm not betting on again this game. I'm on the Giants,
as I said, But I think the idea the Commanders
are going to struggle this season, to me, does not
(54:40):
match up with the profile of their roster right now
and there and their construction and what we've seen with
quarterbacks in the year two. The thing about Houston last
season is the offense line was bad, they had wide
receiver injuries, and their OC clearly was not ready to
make adjustments in the year two. Kingsbury has done this
for a long time, and Kingsbury Forever Texas Tech Arizona
(55:01):
has always started fast every every season, So you get
a good amount of that, right now Cracks. Look he's
looking right his odd screen. Look at him. He's just like,
it's like a scientist. Brian. Oh yeah, it's it's like
a scientist. And and uh and look at this big,
smallest face. The lines are moving. You can see that
they are on something right now.
Speaker 1 (55:20):
That was one of my agreements though I started this show,
was too that I'm gonna betting in the middle of
the show. So I'm pointing and looking and I have
to admit I'm looking for a prop right now.
Speaker 3 (55:29):
I have to admit it.
Speaker 6 (55:30):
I love it so much.
Speaker 1 (55:31):
It's just just a like late breaking prop and information here,
go ahead, that's all right.
Speaker 6 (55:35):
No, it's like I'm just I just love that. You
get down.
Speaker 3 (55:38):
It's it's in the Giants game.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
It's Wandel Robinson under four and a half receptions minus
a dollar fifty.
Speaker 3 (55:44):
So just to let you know, nice it love it.
Speaker 1 (55:48):
It really is amazing, Jeff. Notice I know I give
it away. It's I'm just pointing the screen trying to
look at things because i use an iPad for our
for our screen, for our camera screen, and I'm on
the iPad and my live screens there and my apps
are there. So even though I do have apps on
my phone. I do have some sneakier apps on my
odd screen, So sorry about that, so one.
Speaker 6 (56:11):
Dear, I'm just it's fun to watch.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
Yeah, Robinson under receptions just a late breaking play under
what under under four and a half up to minus
a dollar fifty? It's actually minus a dollar thirty I
just found.
Speaker 6 (56:25):
So I think it just moved to just moved to
three and a half. I think everybody no good four
and a half. I'm not playing three and a half.
Speaker 4 (56:32):
By the way, to Jeff's point, I don't know why,
like CJ scro c J. Stroud is the only year
two quarterback Jaden Daniels has been compared to.
Speaker 3 (56:44):
That blows.
Speaker 5 (56:44):
Why is it just c J. Stroud? Like it goes
the other way too.
Speaker 4 (56:48):
Joe Burrow went to a super Bowl in year two
as an NFL starter, right, like Justin Herbert didn't have
this huge fall off after a really strong rookie season.
Speaker 5 (56:58):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (56:59):
Why I've heard that so many times this offseason, where
it's like, well, uh, you know, c J. Stroud took
a step back in year two. Maybe the same thing
happens with Jayden Daniels. I've heard that so often.
Speaker 6 (57:11):
It doesn't make any I mean year two you mentioned Russell, Wilson,
big Ben, even Carson Wentz m VP that year. In
year two, Mahomes in a second year starting won a
Super Bowl. Just it's so it's it's just to me,
it's just lazy Brian and people wanting to have an
alternate take, And so I think that's the wrong way
(57:34):
to approach the Commanders this season.
Speaker 4 (57:36):
The funny thing, too, is, you know the c J.
Stroud comparison. Now, Jaden Daniels has c J. Stroud's former
left tackle. They traded for Laramie Tunzell, correct right, so
it strengthened their offensive line. I like Laramie Tunzell former
Dolphin shout out you know. So yeah, and they're not
the same players. They're stylistically much much different.
Speaker 2 (57:57):
C J.
Speaker 5 (57:58):
Stroud's not running around like Jayden Daniels is. So I agree.
Speaker 4 (58:02):
I think I think Jayden Daniels is that guy. He
is a bona fide starting quarterback. I've got him in
the top five already. Some people disagree with that. I
think he's that good. So, like Washington, you could sell
me on maybe a minor step back, but a major
step back.
Speaker 5 (58:16):
I'm just not buying that either.
Speaker 6 (58:17):
Yeah, I think Daniels is probably what I six for
me quarterbacks five or six.
Speaker 5 (58:22):
Yeah, I got him five. I got him in the
top five you have.
Speaker 6 (58:25):
You have obviously like some version of mahomes Allen bro
Jackson and five for him.
Speaker 5 (58:29):
Yep, I do. I don't buy this. Some people have
Jalen Hurts in their time.
Speaker 6 (58:33):
I don't have to. I think Jalen Hurts doesn't get
enough respect, but I don't think. I don't think he's there.
Uh Wndell Robinson is still on bet MGM under four
and a half minus one forty five. Oh, but I
can't play it. So it's going to go to three
and a half soon. I think it's unplayable at the
moment minus one eighty.
Speaker 5 (58:51):
Now, crack under on to us, Cracks They're onto us.
Speaker 3 (58:54):
I got him in like I did play it there.
So yeah, no.
Speaker 5 (58:58):
You know we're having today, right, Yeah, yeah, we're gonna
I gotta.
Speaker 3 (59:01):
Let them know, man, everything.
Speaker 1 (59:03):
I bet they move instantly now that was not the
case in the past.
Speaker 3 (59:09):
They are taking some good size I have to admitute.
Speaker 1 (59:11):
They're taking some very very large bets from me today
on props, and sure enough that particular I actually got
that in there, and I see.
Speaker 3 (59:20):
They moved it. But they should. They're supposed to move it.
That's what they're supposed to do.
Speaker 4 (59:24):
I picture the bet MGM headquarters when you fire one
prop offers right, it's headquarters just lighting up.
Speaker 5 (59:32):
Over there.
Speaker 4 (59:33):
We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper.
Speaker 5 (59:36):
Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran. I'm Brian No.

Follow the money, real good money.
Speaker 4 (01:00:49):
You are welcoming in our good friend, Christian Cipolini, Bet MGM,
Senior Trading Manager.
Speaker 5 (01:00:55):
Good morning Christian, Happy week one to you.
Speaker 3 (01:00:58):
Now.
Speaker 4 (01:00:58):
I always ask you this because kind of with Bill
Krackenberger right now, crack always says God protects the bookmaker, right.
Speaker 5 (01:01:07):
And so he always he preaches this.
Speaker 4 (01:01:09):
He tries to align himself with what the book maker needs, right.
That's the way he approaches a lot of his bets.
So for anyone who's of the similar mindset and Crack
would say you should be what do you guys need,
because there are people out there that might want to
align themselves with what you need, so it's what they
need also, and they can build skyscrapers like you guys
(01:01:30):
keep doing.
Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
You know.
Speaker 11 (01:01:32):
Yeah, So definitely excited to be back. But the big
needs will have today are probably the ones that are
a bit expected, the ones being the Titans for sure,
a lot of Broncos money. That lines moved a good amount,
probably gonna end up closing at nine. The other one
that we certainly will need will be the Saints against
the Cardinals, another one that that line has moved a
(01:01:54):
little bit from the opener, but not taking very much
Saints action at all. And then the most interesting one
to me is this Bengals Browns game. We're gonna need
the Browns for sure. While we're taking a ton of
Bengals money, that line is moving with the Browns. So
that has gone from five and a half to four
and ass. So usually when you see some reverse line
(01:02:14):
movement like that, usually something to keep an eye on.
Speaker 6 (01:02:18):
So last year was a year for the for the public. Right,
we saw that have you guys adjusted at all heading
to this year or Jesus, keep it business as usual
and hope you see some regression this year. Obviously in
at least Thursday night, we saw some of that. I
don't know what your numbers showed for Friday Night. I
imagine the public was on the Chiefs pretty heavy there.
(01:02:39):
They were not the right number at any point in
that game. So did you adjust anything for that this year?
Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (01:02:46):
I mean there's always gonna be updates to the model
based off of last season and trends that are going
and things to that nature. But for the most part,
you know, we're keeping the same process as we usually do.
But as you are also mentioned, uh, we are off
to a very good start. That Eagles game, Eagle's not
covering was a good outcome, and the Chargers beating the
Chiefs was another good outcome. And the lightning and crack
(01:03:09):
talking about God protecting the book maker, the lightning stopping
all points. Uh, what's something that the book needed so
uh big in.
Speaker 3 (01:03:16):
Our favor there? Hey, buddy, let me ask you.
Speaker 1 (01:03:20):
Two hours ago, someone tweeted out, uh, five most bet
Week one games at bet MGM. Now this guy's an influencer. Also,
it gets good information normally from those sports books. But
I was shocked to see number one, and it sounds
like it's not right Steelers and then the Giants, So
are the is this information wrong that he has.
Speaker 11 (01:03:41):
That's same is one of the more bet games we have,
which is a little bit surprising to me. Uh, it's
not the most you know, now, you know, it's tough
for me to pinpoint exactly sure where it is at
this moment, but yeah, I mean there's a bunch that
is That was one of the least that was the
most surprising to me. But it's in that top five
(01:04:02):
for sure.
Speaker 1 (01:04:03):
Okay, Yeah, he had Steelers, Giants, Broncos, Lions, and Cardinals
top five most bet games at bet MGM. Normally, like
I said, he has good contacts with the books, and
I was just pretty surprised to see like the Giants
plus six on that list. It looks like to me,
there's a lot of Washington money coming in pretty solid.
It was actually a couple six and a halfs on
the board this morning, a pretty solid six all week.
(01:04:26):
So I just wanted to know if this guy was
was accurate or not.
Speaker 3 (01:04:29):
Brian, Yeah, yeah, I mean sorry.
Speaker 11 (01:04:32):
The Giants game is also another one that is a
ton of bets. Also also another one that's been a
little bit interesting on that line movement that was at
seven at one point we are taking more Commanders money,
but it is now at six.
Speaker 3 (01:04:45):
Cool.
Speaker 4 (01:04:46):
Yeah, Christy, I think you alluded to it with you know,
indicating some sharp money on the Browns for sure. Where
else in terms of sides or totals have you seen
the most sharp money this week?
Speaker 11 (01:04:57):
And this has been a decent amount of law movement.
I mean, it is week one, so a lot of
these openers started at totally different numbers, and you know,
a ton of time for it to move, but there
has been. As I mentioned that, the one that I
thought was most interesting is that Bengals Browns game. The
Panthers Jags game is another one that's had a ton
of movement. That one opened at two and a half,
(01:05:18):
and throughout today we've we've gone all the way up
to four, even at four and a half in some spots,
So that one has had a ton of movement. And
another one that we've seen is that Ravens Bills game,
which you know we expect will be the most bet
on game of the day as we get much closer
to that, But that one has flipped from an opener
of uh for the for the Bills into the now
(01:05:40):
of Ravens a favor.
Speaker 6 (01:05:42):
Are you surprised at that? I feel like Buffalo wins
almost all their home games. They're good at home, They're
geared up to win a championship this season. I did
we look at last season and projected this year, which
I think is wrong sometimes. But are you surprised so
much Baltimore money? I don't quite understand why everyone's on
(01:06:04):
Baltimore in this game.
Speaker 11 (01:06:07):
Yeah, I'm one hundred percent with you on Matt. This
is one that I think maybe it will end up
changing as we get closer to game time, you know,
with a majority of our money going.
Speaker 3 (01:06:16):
To come in.
Speaker 11 (01:06:16):
But right now we're at over sixty five percent of
the money is coming in on the Ravens, which, to me,
this game feels like a true toss up, and in
those fashions where it is a truth toss up, you know,
I would think some people would lean towards the home team,
and then especially obviously they have Josh Allen too, So
I'm surprised that we haven't taken as much money. I'm
definitely surprised that we've taken this amount of Ravens action.
(01:06:38):
Not too overly concerned just yet, just because the a
lot can happen between now at eight o'clock.
Speaker 1 (01:06:44):
That was going to be my question. That's funny. I
was hitting the same exact game all the wise guys.
I know all the Sharper guys. They're on Baltimore there,
and so let me go to a different direction here.
Speaker 3 (01:06:55):
Any last minute bets, and I say last minute, I'll
use it last week on any big future bets.
Speaker 1 (01:07:00):
You gave us some really good ones over the years.
Any big future bets come in, like someone about fifty
thousand on the Jets to win the Super Bowl.
Speaker 11 (01:07:09):
We have in the past, we have had those, but
now I would say, nothing too too crazy that I've seen.
We talked before in the past about one of our
biggest liabilities is the Raiders. It wasn't a you know,
a super huge bet, but we have taken a fair
amount of action for a team that's a super long shot.
Surprised by that amount of action. The other team that
(01:07:31):
I would say is the one notable would be the Broncos.
You know where we haven't taken a fifty k bet.
That's one of the more long shot teams. I guess
that we have that has taken a lot of action,
a lot of you know, five thousand and ten thousand
dollars bets here and there on them.
Speaker 6 (01:07:48):
The same with the.
Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
Vikings to win the super Bowl right there?
Speaker 11 (01:07:51):
To win yeah, yeah, to win the Super Bowl?
Speaker 6 (01:07:52):
Yeah? Okay, cool quickly, Christian, I don't understand this Patriots
thing where they're favorite in like eleven games this season?
What am I? What am I missing? I gave Rabel's
an upgrade, but is that is a coach that big
of an upgrade? To you? There a favorite in all
the all these games? I don't understand. I I get
(01:08:13):
Drake made played well last year, but have you seen
like the weapons he has, the offensive line and Christian
zalz has already hurt this This thing, to me really
surprises me. The Patriots are favored in this many games.
Speaker 11 (01:08:27):
Yeah, it always feels like they were the team from
the offseason, and going from last season into this season,
people saying this team is going to make a jump.
Probably a lot of it's just off Drake may thinking that,
you know, he gets the sophomore year bump. But I
do agree with you the fact that kind of the
rest of the off season didn't kind of blow me away.
(01:08:48):
You know, Stephan Diggs is a little bit older with
an acl so, but the hype train has been there
so even so far in today's game, Patriots two and
a half favorites. We've taken a majority of our money there.
So this is what at least the public is looking at.
But not not too much line movement as I've seen
over the last couple hours of that game.
Speaker 5 (01:09:09):
Well, Christian, uh, thanks for joining us today. Don't hammer
us too.
Speaker 4 (01:09:12):
Badly in week one, all right, and I hope you
enjoyed the day man, Thanks for the time.
Speaker 11 (01:09:18):
Yeah, good luck to everybody today.
Speaker 5 (01:09:20):
Thank you, Thank you.
Speaker 4 (01:09:21):
Christian areas bet MGM senior Yah's senior now senior trading manager.
Speaker 5 (01:09:29):
Very nice. Uh love all.
Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
And I'm constantly terrorizing them.
Speaker 5 (01:09:33):
Oh my god, I'm limited, our Christian, I'm limited. I'm limited.
Speaker 3 (01:09:38):
You know.
Speaker 5 (01:09:38):
It's because I'm nuts.
Speaker 3 (01:09:40):
Though I'm nuts. I'm allowed of it. One thousand dollars
on props. That's a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (01:09:43):
But for me, I know, last year I was getting
my two thousand, Like I'm crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:09:48):
Why do I have to bother the guy?
Speaker 4 (01:09:49):
By the way, you know, I know that you're sometimes
limited on on on sports books right there, Crack, because
you win a lot. You know someone who's I would
call him mister unlimited. I'll allow Russell Wilson, you know
in this business, that would be Isaac Loewencron with the
latest here, mister unlimited.
Speaker 5 (01:10:08):
What's going on?
Speaker 9 (01:10:08):
I low, especially now, Brian, because moments from now we
have an NFL wedding update coming up. It does not
have to do with Travis and Taylor, but it's notable.
Speaker 8 (01:10:21):
Nonetheless.
Speaker 9 (01:10:22):
In the meantime, the inactives are coming out for the
early games. Atlanta Falcons receiver Darnell Mooney inactive for their
game against Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Defensive tackle Vita Vea is active.
New York Jets receiver Alan Lazard a healthy scratch against
the Pittsburgh Steelers. Las Vegas Raiders running back Raheem Mostered
(01:10:43):
a healthy scratch for their.
Speaker 8 (01:10:45):
Game at New England.
Speaker 9 (01:10:47):
For the New York Giants, Jamis Winston is listed as
their number three quarterbacks, so Jackson Dart is the number two,
the top backup quarterback to Russell Wilson for the New
York Giants in their game today, at Washington. Earlier this morning,
the Arizona Cardinals added quarterback Kyler Murray to their injury
report for their game in New Orleans because of illness,
(01:11:09):
but Murray does not have a game status, so he
will play. NFL media reported Chiefs receiver Xavier Worthy suffered
a dislocated shoulder in Friday's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Detroit Lions receiver Jamison Williams has agreed to a three
year extension with up to eighty three million dollars. Now
moments ago, in the municipal parking lot outside of Cleveland's
(01:11:33):
Huntington Bank Field, where the Browns are getting ready to
host the Cincinnati Bengals, we just had a wedding a
short time ago. The groom Brown Spider, the bride, first
lady of Dog Pound for Life. Here is the actual
audio of the ceremony and the vows being completed moments ago.
(01:11:59):
And what other homage to beautiful life together than moments
after the vows being exchanged, the audience, filled with grown
men and women barks like gags.
Speaker 8 (01:12:12):
Listen, and I'm.
Speaker 5 (01:12:24):
Not making this up.
Speaker 9 (01:12:24):
I'm actually looking at the happy couple's wedding registry as
we speak, and it includes such items as Cleveland Brown's
Gnome holiday socks, Cleveland Brown's plastic tablecloths, and a Cleveland
Brown's kitchen cutting board available for the very reasonable price
(01:12:47):
of fourteen dollars and sixty one cents.
Speaker 8 (01:12:50):
Indeed, Viva La romans back to you.
Speaker 5 (01:12:53):
Guys, very nicely done.
Speaker 4 (01:12:55):

That's code countdown in the bet MGM app.
Speaker 4 (01:13:25):
I'll tell you what I took out of that, not
just the dog barking after you know vowser exchange.
Speaker 5 (01:13:30):
It's a beautiful touch right there.
Speaker 4 (01:13:32):
Great trivia question, what's the name of the Brown stadium
Huntington bank Field.
Speaker 6 (01:13:36):
Yeah, no, no one, I don't. I don't like these
new and they're gonna they're gonna open a new stadium
with a dome. Like, what do we do? What do
we come on? What are we doing? What are we doing?
So my wife told me that if I ever proposed
to her at a sporting event, she would say no.
I don't know why if she thought I would, like,
I don't know what, what about my personality is?
Speaker 5 (01:13:57):
You should have mandaring? You didn't do it, you know, I.
Speaker 6 (01:14:01):
Did it at Myrtle Beach in like March. It was
just there was it was forty degrees and on the ocean,
and we like went out there and she had no
idea was coming.
Speaker 4 (01:14:09):
Were they selling the sand, you know, like Brady announcing
the retirement, were they announcing like the needle imprint, the
knee imprint from the proposal.
Speaker 6 (01:14:17):
I don't know why she thought that would ever be
my personality to do that. I never even joked about it.
I never told her that, Like, I don't know why
she thought that was something I would even consider. Supposed
to me at the beach obviously, mean I did at
the beach. If you proposed to me at a stadium.
I'm I'm saying no, I don't. I don't know why
she thought that something I would even do that. That
was a strict order from her. If you proposed me
(01:14:39):
to the stadium, I'm gonna say no.
Speaker 5 (01:14:41):
That's awesome, very nice.
Speaker 4 (01:14:43):
All right, We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz,
eight year NFL veteran and very romantic, by the way,
with the wedding proposal right there on the beach.
Speaker 5 (01:14:52):
The waves probably had violinous.
Speaker 6 (01:14:56):
March at Myrtle Beach. It was it was like it
was just a baseball tournament. I was coaching high scho
baseball then and we were at a tournament and she
came down and we were a week later, we were
going to Saint Lucia, so I knew she thought. I
think she thought I was choosing to get it in
Saint Lucia. I wanted to do it beforehand. And yeah,
it was like four it was like forty degrees. It
was not the most fun, but uh I we got
(01:15:17):
it in.
Speaker 5 (01:15:18):
Yeah, you got it in.
Speaker 10 (01:15:19):
You got it.
Speaker 4 (01:15:20):
You got it going right there. All right, very nice.
I'm Brian, though, all right, come it up. Next, where
do we have or prop it up? That's right track,
he just perked up right there. Let's go the prop
betting market. We will compare extensive notes, have a couple
of plays for you.
Speaker 5 (01:15:34):
That's next.
Speaker 4 (01:15:34):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by
bet MGM. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff
presented by bet MGM, just an hour and ten minutes
away from Week one Sunday kickoffs. Beautiful thing before propping up.
It is time for the tire rack play of the day.
Speaker 2 (01:15:56):
Prop it up player plays.
Speaker 5 (01:16:00):
Okay, we go and prop it up crack. We start
with you.
Speaker 3 (01:16:03):
It's something you like, listen.
Speaker 1 (01:16:05):
I was just texting you guys, this is going to
be one of my bigger props that I was thinking
about saving for the end of the show. But let's
get to it now because that's how strong it is.
Let's go Houston Xavier Hutcherson over yards over fourteen and
a half yards, so the other two wideouts are out.
Speaker 3 (01:16:24):
This is a This is a a big this is
a big play for me.
Speaker 1 (01:16:27):
So I was gonna save it for the best bet
of the of the show, actually, but let's give it
out now Xavier Hutcherson over fourteen and a half yards.
Speaker 5 (01:16:36):
Ok listen, stand a crack over here right giving this out?
Speaker 3 (01:16:39):
People have you want to get on that now, Jeff,
that's going to move.
Speaker 6 (01:16:43):
Okay, that's going to move.
Speaker 3 (01:16:46):
I was saving it for the end, but I like,
I like.
Speaker 6 (01:16:49):
I mean, a man, I'll take it. That's going to
move now. I like a couple of things here. I'll
give one out. I don't know if it's a prop
per se, but I think we the Titans aren't gonna
score in this game. I like him under sixteen and
a half points at Denver. Give a rookie quarterback, not
the best offensive line in the world. You know, skill
(01:17:11):
guys are fine, but this is a really tough spot
for Camborder, a really really tough spot. So I have
the Titans under sixteen and a half points. I'm gonna
I'll steek one more in there. That's actual more along
the lines of a prop. I like Daniel Jones to
go over twenty nine and a half rushing yards today. Again,
I think this is a very design game plan where
he gets an opportunity to run the football a lot
(01:17:32):
of situations, and that to me is is a good
week one again, the dolphin haven't seen with this offense
is gonna be with Jones. He's gonna use his legs
to create and make plays. I like jump over twenty
nine and a half yards.
Speaker 4 (01:17:42):
I like that play, even though you're a hater fit
fading the fins, you know, I do like that play
because there are gonna be times. Is a brand new team,
you know, and stuff's gonna break down. Maybe his eyes
are in the wrong spot. He's gonna tuck and run,
you know, outside of the design runs. So I think
it's a solid angle right there. I mentioned it in
passing before I'm on. It's a random one, but I'm
(01:18:04):
on Washington Commander's running back Chris Rodriguez Junior. I just
and well, they took it down for right now. I
might get reposted, but it was at twenty two and
a half.
Speaker 5 (01:18:16):
It's just way too low.
Speaker 4 (01:18:18):
It's way too low where like the Commanders are going
to run the football. It's not just going to be
Jaden Daniels, and that's it. His teammate Austin Eckler is
the only other one that outside of QB that's posted right.
Speaker 5 (01:18:32):
That's at twenty five.
Speaker 4 (01:18:33):
And a half the reason I stray away from Eckler
is they use him a lot in the passing game.
He's gonna get a couple of carries too, but I
like him more with receiving yards. So in terms of,
you know, rushing total, I like Chris Rodriguez Junior. It
was that twenty two and a half again. The Giants
gave up three hundred and sixty four rushing yards in
(01:18:53):
the two meetings against the Commanders last season. That's a
ton like it's gonna be a nasty game. They're going
to run the football, and I know there's a rookie there,
Jacorey krossky Merritt get a touchdown run against the Bengals.
Speaker 5 (01:19:07):
Some people are very excited about him. He'll probably get
a couple of carries and eat into the workload of
the other guys. But I think Rodriguez Junior is gonna
get enough carries. Where twenty two and a half like
one decent run, we're knocking on the door of the
overall ready.
Speaker 4 (01:19:21):
I just think that's way too low, man. So yeah, yeah,
I would keep your eye on it. It was posted all day.
It's been taken down. I think briefly probably be reposted again.
But I'm on Rodriguez Junior over twenty two and a half.
Speaker 3 (01:19:35):
My guy, I make you guys laugh.
Speaker 1 (01:19:38):
So someone's the guy that that that actually gave me
this prop. Both both prop sources matchup. He's going off,
you know, I was reading a quarterback looking his way.
Speaker 3 (01:19:48):
Well, try to take away Nico Collins. He will eat.
I mean, he really likes his prop. So here it is.
Speaker 5 (01:19:53):
I mean he's fired enough about it, he will trust me. Yeah,
it's going down, all right, very good stuff, all right,
coming up next man.
Speaker 4 (01:20:03):
There's been so much buzz about this team in the offseason.
They're sort of the new it team quote unquote, but
should they be, we will dive into one of the
marquee matchups right around the corner. Oh what's going on?
Happy Sunday to you. Week one, first Sunday of the
NFL season. It is a beautiful thing less than an
(01:20:25):
hour away. How awesome is that we will get to
has this one contender turned into an afterthought that in
just a couple of seconds all season long? Betmgm's offering
you a second chance on your first touchdown. Bet when
a customer places us a wager on a first touchdown
score bet and he doesn't score first, but score second.
BETMGM will return one hundred percent of their stakeback in cash.
Speaker 5 (01:20:49):
Really cool promotion.
Speaker 4 (01:20:51):
Okay, so we got Lions at the Packers Green Bay
favored by one and a half totals at forty seven
and a half at BETMGM. First part of this is
seems like the Packers are the new it team in
terms of you know, uh talk, you know, opinions, generating buzz.
They certainly have a lot more buzz right now due
(01:21:13):
to the Micah Parsons trade than the Lions do. Is
it safe to say this is fair to say this?
Have the Lions turned into an afterthought this season? I've
heard so much of They do play a brutal schedule,
especially on the road. I've heard many like, I'm I'm
fading them their season win total. I'm actually gonna play
them not to make the playoffs. I hear that quite
(01:21:35):
a bit. Have have the Lions turned into an afterthought?
I don't think they should, but in the minds of
a lot of people, have they? I think that's probably
where they are right now.
Speaker 3 (01:21:44):
No after thought.
Speaker 6 (01:21:47):
It's interesting, I think, you know, I think that we've
sort of the last two years. They've gone to the
NFC Championship game in obviously Division around last year, and
I think we've gotten to see the best of them,
and I think a lot of us think that that's
the that's it, that's the ceiling, like we're not going
(01:22:08):
to see better this season, so that might be good
enough to win the NFC. But I'm not. I don't
feel this way exactly, but I get the sentiment that
we're just sort of not over the Lions. But they
had their opportunity. Last year was the year and they
just got blown up by Washington. And I think when
you look at the hierarchy of NFC quarterbacks, Jared Goff
(01:22:32):
is never at the top of that list, So we
forget about those teams at times don't have those top guys, right.
We just talked about Jan Daniels earlier, Jalen Hurts, and
you look at even Stafford and and the Lions, and
this is actually interesting for this franchise to get to
this point is a good thing. But also I think
people know what we're getting from them, even if it's
(01:22:52):
not as good as it's been. We know what they are.
There's no question marks about the Lions. The question marks
are two new coordinators and injuries, like you know, like
is golfing to continue playing this way? Look at the
division right, Like question about the Packers and the Parsons trade.
Is Caleb Williams taking a step as McCarthy the guy?
So I think there's just a lot more questions with
(01:23:13):
the other three teams. We know we're gonna with the lines,
and again, I think people just don't think the ceilings
any higher for this team, and there's not a lot
of hope that they're going to be in a position
to win the NFC this year.
Speaker 1 (01:23:25):
Jeff, what happens to a guy like Parsons today? He
just gets to the team a week ago. You know,
he hasn't really got a chance to jail yet. What happened?
Speaker 3 (01:23:34):
Does he give me a minute that you think he plays?
Speaker 6 (01:23:37):
So this is not Parsons. I think he's a different position.
But I remember one time. So before game, guys, we
get a test. Okay, the coaches give us a test
on Saturdays. We can fill it out on offensive line
test schematic tests. Right for the game. We have to
draw in all five positions, the tight end, the running backs.
For the most part, right for where we're running the
(01:23:58):
ball and where the protections are at. I remember I
saw a defensive lineman's test, the interior defensive lineman defensive tackle.
I saw his test one time before a game. All
I had to do is drawing two t's where he aligned.
That was it to drawing where he went after the snap.
Just two tea's. Just line up here and line up here.
That's it. Every play Crack for twelve plays. He just
(01:24:19):
wrote two te's where they aligned. My point is that
you can play defensive line without knowing what you're doing.
You have to go over.
Speaker 5 (01:24:29):
The guy with the ball.
Speaker 6 (01:24:30):
Yeah, like, hey Parsons, it's third down, going up over
Taylor Decker and get home.
Speaker 3 (01:24:36):
What am I doing? What are we doing?
Speaker 5 (01:24:37):
This is played though, coach, you're rushing the past.
Speaker 6 (01:24:40):
It's third and eight. The Lions have a rookie right guard.
Go have fun, you know, like that's what That's what
his job is gonna be today.
Speaker 3 (01:24:48):
So maybe you think he gets more minutes than its predicted.
Speaker 6 (01:24:51):
Well, no, no, I don't. Well yes, to know me,
his back is a legitimate issue, right, I mean he's
got if he has a disc problem. Save in Stafford,
it's still a problem. There's people talking about Mini's restriction
today for.
Speaker 5 (01:25:03):
Him, yes, yeah, yes, but that's just the back.
Speaker 6 (01:25:07):
It's not that there's nobody's doing in the defense. That's
because to me, that's the back back thing not And
also too, he hasn't played in the preseason and practice
very much. There's a higher injury rate for guys early
in the season that did not practice them in preseason.
So I think the goal is like, let's ease him in,
uh and not have them get hurt. I only it's
not about not knowing what he's doing. I think it's
(01:25:27):
it's the back and just but again those the third
and medium to long like you're in go ahead, buddy,
go rush, go rush the quarterback. So now it was
interesting about this this number in the game on Thursday,
so the Parsians trade happened. Crack Brian knows this too.
You guys both know this. The number moved a point
and a half. Imagine that point a half for a
(01:25:49):
defensive lineman. But it didn't move a point and a
half in the package direction, So that was really interesting.
Like I ended up betting on the Cowboys. I thought
number was just too high that that didn't make sense
to me, Like, like what it wasn't seven eight and
a half for Parsons, But why why didn't the Packers
go a point a half in their direction? If he's
a point a half for the Cowboy? You know what
I mean? Like they should those should those a line
(01:26:11):
a little bit?
Speaker 1 (01:26:12):
Yeah, you know so about this game today? You have
two returning playoff teams, but both have high expectations. Big
news of you say, of course, was the Parsions trade,
which changed their division and conference odds instantly.
Speaker 3 (01:26:25):
Like it moved instantly.
Speaker 1 (01:26:26):
The Packers are actually favorite to win the NFC North
now at plus like one seventy one seventy five. Looks
like we said, Parsons definitely will help long term if
he could stay healthy, But how much will he actually play?
Tore like we just talked about, you know, like I said,
I heard about him being on a play count, dude,
due to the fact that he didn't practice all summer
and has just one week learning with the new defense.
Speaker 3 (01:26:48):
He's also coming.
Speaker 1 (01:26:49):
Off that back issue like you said, and I'm not
gonna say he's not in football shape, but maybe he
has to come back into it a little bit more so. Uh,
last year everyone was so high on the Lions to
finally get too Super Bowl this year pretty much the
same thing, however, I am hearing because of the schedule
being so tough, it's gonna be a tougher road for them.
(01:27:09):
I actually like the Lions today, and and and the points.
A lot of people against me there, I know, but
you know, listen, they have a legitimate chance to make
it to their first Super Bowl. I mean it's it's
it's gonna be a longer, tougher road though, I get.
Speaker 6 (01:27:23):
It there there they're schedule out of their division on
the road games every so you know, you play your
six division games, right, and you play two other divisions.
You play one in the NFC, one in the a
f C, and you play three other games aligned with
your your finish in uh in the standings. Their two
divisions they play offs. On my head, I think are
(01:27:44):
the the NFC East and the AFC West North. I'm sorry,
you're right. And if the best teams in those two
divisions they play all on the road, they're at Philly,
at Washington, at the Bengals, and at the Ravens. And
I'm correct on that.
Speaker 5 (01:28:02):
They get the Bengals at home.
Speaker 4 (01:28:06):
Uh, they they're at the Bears.
Speaker 5 (01:28:09):
Sorry, that's a division Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:28:12):
I know, the Washington I know they're at Philly.
Speaker 4 (01:28:13):
I know they're at the Steelers. They're at the Steelers
and at the I'm sorry, I'm I'm looking at the Packers.
Sed My bad, dude, I'm sorry.
Speaker 5 (01:28:21):
Lions Goods.
Speaker 4 (01:28:22):
Yeah, all right, Yeah, they are at the a FC.
Speaker 5 (01:28:26):
Let me see, they're at the Bengals.
Speaker 4 (01:28:28):
They are at the They're probably at the Ravens, at
the Ravens, so you're right, so sorry, scenic direction, scenic rout,
My bad, you had it initially. Yeah, at Ravens and
at the Bengals their road schedule, and.
Speaker 6 (01:28:41):
Then by the way, they're at the Chiefs. Yeah, and
at the Rams.
Speaker 5 (01:28:45):
They're at every rough team. They're at the Vikings.
Speaker 4 (01:28:48):
Those are divisional at the Eagles on a Sunday night.
Speaker 5 (01:28:52):
I'm just saying like that.
Speaker 4 (01:28:54):
You know, at the divisional games are all tough games,
you know, and then.
Speaker 1 (01:28:58):
You know some guys also, I'm not here. Nothing about
their best defensive guy, Adrian Hutcherson, who got hurt last season.
He's healthy, one hundred percent. They still made a run
last year without him, that's right. He's back this year too.
Speaker 5 (01:29:09):
That's a great point.
Speaker 4 (01:29:10):
They were a mash unit last season and still won
fifteen games. I just like going back to the first point,
they're an afterthought, and I just don't agree with it.
I know their schedule is brutal, but I think Jeff
hit on a key point at the beginning here when
we were talking about this, where I think a lot
of people got burned by the Lions.
Speaker 5 (01:29:30):
Last year.
Speaker 4 (01:29:30):
They were one and done, they were at home against
the Washington Commanders, and they laid an egg. Jared Goff
was turning the ball over left and right. I think
people got burned, and that's part of why they're an
afterthought right now. I just think this, if you're having
a conversation and saying, hey, who's coming out of the NFC,
Who's going to be in the super Bowl?
Speaker 5 (01:29:50):
On the NFC.
Speaker 4 (01:29:51):
Side, I think most people look at it and they're like, well,
you got the Eagles. They're gonna mention all these teams
before they even get to the Lions, Gonna mention the Packers,
the Vikings, the Niners, all those teams get mentioned more
than the Lions, and I just don't agree with it.
I think that blessed with better health. They are a
serious problem come playoff time. But there are a lot
(01:30:14):
of people there in Operation Fade of the Lions. I
don't agree with it, but I think to Jeff's point,
it absolutely is tied to what happened in the playoffs.
So the it was a painful loss is embarrassing loss,
and they assisted Washington with that win, right. They shot
themselves in the foot repeatedly. The Jamison Williams, you know,
(01:30:35):
trick play turned into an interception when they're getting back
into the game. It's just it was a disaster, and
I think a lot of people haven't forgotten that.
Speaker 6 (01:30:45):
I'm in agreement, so I'm curious to see obviously how
today starts. Everyone's in the Packers like you can't in
the Packers in this in this moment. I just don't
think that that makes a ton of sense considering that
I think I think everyone's on them right now and
their division numbers have changed. Well, I'm looking forward to
that game to s we can give afternoon.
Speaker 4 (01:31:00):
By the way, before we get to the primetime game,
something to throw at you real fast. I love this
stat and it's with the Steelers at the Jets Okay,
this is the first season opener in NFL history between
starting quarterbacks who played for the opposing team the previous year.
First time this has happened. And it's but you see,
(01:31:22):
you know, Justin Fields had six starts with the Steelers
last season. Aaron Rodgers started all seventeen games for the Jets,
and they flip flop teams.
Speaker 5 (01:31:31):
And it's funny, right.
Speaker 4 (01:31:32):
It just shows you how little juice this game has.
There is no jewice there. There's nothing being mentioned about
this one, no anticipation like oh man Rogers against this
former team. No one is plugged into this at all
unless you're a diehard Steelers or Jets fan, or you're
betting heavily on the game.
Speaker 5 (01:31:51):
That's it. Other than that points, there's no juice.
Speaker 1 (01:31:54):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, good points that you guys, either one
of you guys have a side on this game. You know,
the Steelers have always every year I've been a future
on them. I still like, I haven't give it to
you guys yet. I still like Pittsburgh underseason wins this year.
But you know it's not I'm not a giant play,
but I'm asking you both of you guys, say, what
do you think today about that game that you guys,
(01:32:14):
either one of you guys like either side or not.
Speaker 6 (01:32:16):
Really, it's it's Jets or nothing. For me, this game,
which is the grossest, can be siged. And this game
just look, this is going to be the series win
twelve to nine, and you just have to suck it
up and be like, this is why I don't be
against the Steelers. I will tell you this though, Mike
Tomlin Road Favorite is a terrible wager. He does not
cover those games. He covers them when he's a home underdog.
(01:32:37):
Road Favorite is a bad spot.
Speaker 4 (01:32:40):
Yeah, if I had to play it, I do the
exact opposite of Jeff. I'm not taking three points with
justin fields against the defense. I'm just not doing it. Sorry,
and listen, Jeff might be right. I could absolutely be
right in this spot. Could be a could be a push. Really,
I might land right on the number I'm.
Speaker 1 (01:32:58):
Going to have to play at the end of the
show on this game. Just to let you guys know, well.
Speaker 4 (01:33:02):
I can't imagine you're on minus three on the road.
But we'll wait to find out. We'll wait to find
out on that one. All right, We've got Bill Krackenberger,
professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran. I'm

Speaker 5 (01:33:51):
Let's go, fellas.
Speaker 4 (01:33:52):
So yeah, new start time where it's ten am on
the East coast, right, so you get those three hours
right before the one pm Eastern kickoff here on Sunday.
So it's ten am to one pm on the East
coast there, early start time? What seven am for us
crack here on the on West coast timing so seven
(01:34:13):
to ten am if you're on the West coast. So
there you go, New Time on Sundays leading right up
to kickoff coming up next. Oh man, you gotta love
these primetime matchups. It sounds like the guys might be
on a team home team. I'm on team away team.
We'll compare notes. Coming up next. It is Fox Sports
Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by Bet MGM. It is
(01:34:36):
Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by Bett MGM,
And it is time for the tire rack Play of
the day.
Speaker 5 (01:34:43):
Ban in motion jet.
Speaker 12 (01:34:44):
Sweep the Burks at to ten, cuts it outside of
the five, dips it into the two is see the
one is he in? Give it to a touchdown, touchdown
on Berks and the Suitors take the opening possession seventy five.
Speaker 2 (01:34:58):
Yards to leader.
Speaker 4 (01:35:00):
That is Toby Rowland from lear Field on the Call.
For over forty years, Tyraq has been helping customers find
the right tires for how, what and where they drive.
Ship fast and free back by free road hazard protection
with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation ti iraq
dot com. The way tire buying should be Oklahoma. Nice
win at home against Michigan. Pretty sleepy day in college
(01:35:23):
football yesterday, right, where no marquee matchups. That was the
biggest matchup. That was the only ranked versus ranked. It's
early in the season, a lot of FCS opponents, right,
so not huge matchups, not huge results, no like crazy ups.
Speaker 5 (01:35:37):
I did think about you, though, Jeff, where I mean
pretty Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:35:41):
That's that you try to let America know not to
bet any money on the Florida Gators did national championships.
Speaker 5 (01:35:47):
That was good advice.
Speaker 6 (01:35:48):
Yeah, Look, this is always thinking about football, like there's
gonna be games that the the final score is not
indicative of how the game went. Like Evenida Florida was
the better team, they just made some mistakes. Happens, Right,
you can't the game. I think of yesterday's Illinois and Duke, right,
because this game was it's forty It was forty nine
(01:36:11):
to nineteen was the final score? Dude, forty five nineteen.
Illinois won that game, Okay, it was fourteen thirteen a halftime. Okay,
Then the second half Duke went fumble, touchdown, interception, fumbled downs.
Illinois scored one play touchdown, nine playfield goals, four play
touchdown like that game was fourteen thirteen a halftime, and
(01:36:34):
then Duke fumbled away the game essentially, And it's worth
noting when he comes to like handicapping some of these matchups,
like Duke had more yards, just as good on third down,
but had five turnovers. Turnovers matter a lot in these games.
I had Duke plus three obviously was on the wrong
side that one, I think. But as we as you
(01:36:54):
look forward to some games, like I'm gonna probably fit
Illinois this weekend. Actually they play Western Michigan and then
they play they go to Indiana, which is a huge
game between them and in Indiana. But again, like this
is the importance of maybe watching some of the games,
not looking at the box score all the time. But yeah,
I wasn't the best day. We had an upset, comes in,
had a rough one. But then next week we get
to some big dogs, so we'll see. I believe it's
(01:37:17):
what it's it's Georgia Tennessee. Next weekend it is it's
Alabama Wisconsin, which I mean that game probably won't be
that great, but I don't Alabama sometimes LSU Florida's next weekend.
Speaker 5 (01:37:30):
I irish.
Speaker 6 (01:37:31):
I'm just going down the schedule as we've see the
A and M Notre Dame. I am trying to find
a wager to make today. It's not up yet on
bet MGM for college football to tell you it right now,
but I will bet on Texas Tech hosting Oregon State
as soon as it comes.
Speaker 3 (01:37:47):
Up three and a half. What twenty three and a half.
Speaker 6 (01:37:51):
Yeah, okay, it's when it's on BEDMGM, but we'll be
it's not up yet. When it goes up, it will
get a wager on Texas Tech is gonna win this game.
Tell you right now now, fifty five fourteen. They're going
to win this game by a million points. Texas Tech
is just going to Oregon State. Is Oregon State? So far?
As lost to Cal at home and Fresno State at home?
Speaker 4 (01:38:14):
Yeah, we got to get to the NFL. Jeff, I
know you're fired over a college football. We got Ravens
Bills bills one point home dog. Fifty and a half
is the total, so expecting a shootout over here.
Speaker 3 (01:38:27):
Crack.
Speaker 5 (01:38:27):
Are you on the bills as well? I think that's
where you're at, Jeff. Right, you're on the home dog here.
Speaker 6 (01:38:33):
Jeff, I am on the home dog. I haven't made
a way during this game, I am I be on
the home dog. I was making any wage. I did
take the under because the old bartender has the over.
So I have an under in this game out of
a you know, a fade. I just I think his
teams are really closer. I don't understand why Baltimore is
getting the love of this game. The Bills, Okay, a
(01:38:54):
couple of days one Matt Malone's playing today. When he
plays their middle linebacker, they're much better on defense than
when he doesn't plays healthy he's playing the added Bosa.
You know they got a good defense, but offensively, they
have a top five offense line in the NFL. They're
better than Baltimore there that we know. They have Josh Allen,
we know they have cooked, they have the weapons. I
I don't get it. It should be really a fun game. Again,
(01:39:16):
it's Sunday at football, and I don't have a play
on it. I think I would lead in Buffalo money line.
This is maybe a good teas opportunity. Take Buffalo up
to seven. But some some sports books, guys, the minus
one thirty for a teaser, really, really that is that
we're doing now?
Speaker 1 (01:39:34):
Minus one fifty price Listen to me seven point teaser
in Las Vegas. There's multiple places, two of them that
charge one sixty on a seven point teaser. It's impossible
to beat one.
Speaker 3 (01:39:48):
Never mind what I mean. It's one sixty.
Speaker 6 (01:39:51):
One thirty on bet MGM for a six point teaser.
Speaker 3 (01:39:53):
So no, it's it's everywhere, though. Try to find something better.
Speaker 6 (01:39:56):
No, SI, you can't, you can't. So I think I
got We talk about them.
Speaker 3 (01:40:01):
Yeah, yeah, we uh, we talk about them every year.
But you know the their their.
Speaker 1 (01:40:06):
Basic strategy teasers going through the key numbers of seven
and three and and uh, you know the books have
I used to have even I had five shops in
two thousand. Were that even six point teasers? One twenty
on seven point teasers? I had like five shops? No, lie,
So it's amazing what difference it is. Now, let's go
(01:40:27):
back to Baltimore games for tonight should be a great
one Tonight's primetime game. These are two of the top
favorites to win the AFC this season. People are hoping
that Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson finally break through in
the playoffs, uh, to get down, you know, get to
the super Bowl. Jackson and Allen have arguably been two
of the top quarterbacks in regular season over the past
few years, and I expect them both not them as
(01:40:48):
a beat this year too.
Speaker 11 (01:40:49):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:40:50):
The Ravens have had so much success on the ground
against the Bills last season.
Speaker 11 (01:40:55):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:40:55):
They wracked up two hundred and seventy one and one
hundred and seventy six yards in the ground to head
a heads up.
Speaker 3 (01:41:00):
Games last year. The problem in the playoffs was that
free turnovers. The Ravens had two of them bed once
by Lamar Jackson. As I said earlier in the show,
I've heard so many people on the Ravens in this game.
Kind of surprised me.
Speaker 1 (01:41:12):
We have a big total, you know, like Jeff said,
And if the voice, I have to get the voice placed.
Speaker 6 (01:41:20):
So I don't see the right I'm looking. I don't
see anything.
Speaker 3 (01:41:24):
And Bartender is on Bartender's on the over.
Speaker 6 (01:41:27):
Over fifty and a half. Yeah, so not the you
got a good number. I mean it was a little higher,
but I have not seen any Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:41:34):
By the way, guys, we go against the Bartender, got
the Bartender picks. We go against the Bartender.
Speaker 1 (01:41:39):
And like I said earlier, if you did here, it's
just as good finding a losing handicapper as a winner.
But I'll just tell you now, this game tonight, I
know everyone's gonna have to have a side and be.
Speaker 3 (01:41:50):
Fire and I get it. I get it. Plenty of
other opportunities. It's a fun game.
Speaker 1 (01:41:54):
Relax, it's all right, we're gonna have we'll have a
proper too on this game. Something like that. But what
a first game. I don't know if Howard Katz is
still making the schedule for the NFL. I haven't talked
to him in a while, and every year I used
to meet him at one of my Buddies dinners every
year and he made the schedule. One of the most
important people in the NFL. So I don't know if
he's still making the schedule.
Speaker 3 (01:42:16):
Very very important. What a beautiful game to.
Speaker 1 (01:42:19):
Pick here first weekend, you know, NFL Primetime Sunday night.
Either everyone will be firing trying to get out, or
there be firing because they love the gamble.
Speaker 4 (01:42:29):
Yeah, listen, man, I hear what you guys are saying.
But I'm with the Ravens crack. You just mentioned it
where you go back to the playoff game three turnovers.
The Ravens lost the turnover battle three to nothing, and
it's a two point game. Mark Andrews dropped two point
conversion away from tying that game up, losing the turnover
battle three to nothing. Like, the Ravens just have the
(01:42:52):
better roster. I'll go with the better roster. I don't
care that the Bills are at home and the Bills
are banged up too. Their corners are banged up. Christian Benford,
Tredavious White, Tredevious White might not play. They both have
groin injuries. So like you're on a backup probably a
corner there with the Bills, and you already have the
lesser roster and you have the whole offseason. I think
(01:43:14):
the Ravens are going to do a better job protecting
the football. They might not limit all turnovers, but I
can't imagine this game is, you know, minus three in
the turnover department for the Ravens.
Speaker 5 (01:43:25):
I just don't see that happening. So I'm back the
better roster here.
Speaker 4 (01:43:29):
I don't care that the Bills are at home and
the Bills are one of the contenders. I know they're
going to be a tough outcome playoff time. Josh Allen
is amazing, but no, I'm on the Ravens. This stat though,
blew me away. Did you guys realize you might know
this already but I didn't. Lamar Jackson he became the
first player in NFL history with forty plus touchdown passes
(01:43:50):
and fewer than five interceptions in a season.
Speaker 3 (01:43:53):
That's what.
Speaker 4 (01:43:53):
He's the first player ever to do that. I'm like, Wow,
Rogers didn't do that. He didn't have like a forty
plus like under five.
Speaker 5 (01:44:00):
No, he didn't have one.
Speaker 4 (01:44:02):
He's had three seasons with forty plus touchdown passes, but
he either had five, six or seven interceptions.
Speaker 5 (01:44:08):
He never had fewer than five.
Speaker 3 (01:44:10):
That's what.
Speaker 4 (01:44:10):
Lamar is the first ever guy to do that. That's
a that's a crazy accomplishment by him last year.
Speaker 3 (01:44:15):
Oh he's amazing, I really is.
Speaker 1 (01:44:18):
Yeah, those those turnovers were that's probably the difference. You know,
that was a big game. Big game, so it should
be a fun game. Should be fun tonight. You guys
staying home all day watching the games? What are you
guys doing.
Speaker 5 (01:44:31):
I'll be out and about a little bit.
Speaker 4 (01:44:32):
Our guy Russ these got he has to get together
with one of his buddies places.
Speaker 5 (01:44:37):
I probably got it.
Speaker 1 (01:44:38):
The guy's got like a ten million dollar house. You got,
you're gonna be in one of these big theater seating rooms.
Rush doesn't invite me anymore. He used to invite me.
Speaker 3 (01:44:46):
But that's all right.
Speaker 5 (01:44:46):
You gotta wear any test either.
Speaker 6 (01:44:48):
I I yeah. Look, the first NFL sun is always
rough for my wife because she just likes, like, wow,
there's a lot of football. Odd. But what we do
now is we have a.
Speaker 5 (01:44:59):
Over the it's a bummer. It's a very fired up
for a week. Let's go. It's a very tough there's
a lot of football one day.
Speaker 6 (01:45:06):
It's very tough for her to go from like the summers.
We're like, we're going every weekend. She's actually at the
beaches driving back now. But what we do is week
in a family days. We have people come over the house,
so she gets to like have fun with family, and
I just watch football and make I think we're doing
a bought you tonight on the on the black Top.
Speaker 3 (01:45:23):
So are you cooking?
Speaker 6 (01:45:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:45:25):
I was good, no, yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:45:28):
And then I have just you know, I'm I have
so many wagers today, who knows, I'll just count the.
Speaker 3 (01:45:32):
End of the day.
Speaker 4 (01:45:34):
Well, you know who else is cooking today? That would
be Isaac Low and Crown at the bottom of each hour.
He is cooking right the latest information, some fun facts,
all that good stuff.
Speaker 5 (01:45:46):
He's got more for you right now. What's going on?
Speaker 9 (01:45:47):
I low and we actually begin, Brian, in honor of you,
crack with a Howard Kats update. The twenty twenty five
NFL schedule was his drop the mike opus. He put
together the great twenty twenty five NFL schedule and then
he retired, So that was his mic drop moment making
(01:46:11):
the twenty twenty five NFL schedule.
Speaker 3 (01:46:15):
US agreed.
Speaker 9 (01:46:16):
Yeah, I know even our canine and furry friends are
fans of the work of Howard Katz behind the scenes
making the NFL schedule with at the Browns wedding again,
is that was?
Speaker 6 (01:46:31):
That was.
Speaker 9 (01:46:33):
He was witching, wishing first Lady Dog pound, four life,
fender groom, literally all the happiness in the world. We
have eight early games kicking off at the top of
the hour, including that Cleveland Brown's Cincinnati Bengals tilt. The
inactives released Atlanta Falcons receiver Darnell Mooney inactive for their
(01:46:54):
game against Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Defensive tackle Vitavea is active.
Jets receiver Allan Lazzar to a healthy scratch for their
game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Raiders running back Raheem Moster
to a healthy scratch for their game at New England.
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is active for their game
at New Orleans, despite this morning the Cardinals adding him
(01:47:14):
to their injury report due to illness, but he will play.
ESPN report San Francisco forty nine Ers running back Christian
McCaffrey will play today at Seattle. He's officially listed as
questionable due to a calf injury. NFL media reported that
Kansas City Chiefs receiver Xavier Worthy suffered a dislocated shoulder
in Friday's loss to the Chargers. Lines receiver Jamison Williams
(01:47:36):
has agreed to a three year extension where up to
eighty three million dollars. Fox Sports Jay Glazer reported today
that the Philadelphia Eagles offered the Dallas Cowboys two first
round picks, a third round pick, and a fifth round
pick for Micah Parsons. For the Cowboys declined because they
did not want to trade Parsons in their Division two
Major League Baseball games going on right now. The Mariners
(01:47:58):
a one nothing lead at Atlanta in the bottom of
the second inning, Raise and Guardian scoreless in the bottom
of the second editing, guys, all yours.
Speaker 3 (01:48:05):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (01:48:06):
I lo it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff
presented by BETMGM. Betmgm has a Pro Football boost pack
giving you three ways to boost your payout on a
winning bet. Just log into your betmgm account to receive
your boost pack, then place any pro football bet and

to the minimum steak, odds and legs specified on the token.
(01:48:27):
If your boosted bet hits, you'll score a bigger payout.
Check it out in the bet mgm app. The Cowboys
realize that you can face other teams in your conference.
Speaker 5 (01:48:38):
In the playoffs. Right, it's not just your division.
Speaker 4 (01:48:42):
I don't know if they realize that or not, but
they can face the Packers in the playoffs as well, right,
just you, I know, I know you can't, but you
should trade them to the AFC. I get that you
don't trade them to the Eagles, but get them out
of your conference. Why do you have them still in
the conference?
Speaker 5 (01:48:58):
They're dumb?
Speaker 6 (01:48:59):
Guess the question is like who who? I mean, who
was gonna who? In the you know the AFC wanted him,
was on trade for him?
Speaker 4 (01:49:04):
Well, if they were smart and did it in March,
I guarantee there'd be AFC teams lining up for him.
Speaker 6 (01:49:10):
That that that's it, right, It's that they didn't do
this in.
Speaker 5 (01:49:12):
March, right, Yeah, that's it?
Speaker 4 (01:49:15):
Okay, prime time tomorrow. Love this matchup. Vikings at the Bears.
Vikings favored by a point and a half on bet MGM.
Where we think here, guys, you're fading JJ McCarthy on
the JJ McCarthy train.
Speaker 5 (01:49:27):
What do you think.
Speaker 6 (01:49:29):
That's interesting? I know, Crack you hit the Vikings well early, right.
Speaker 1 (01:49:33):
Plus yeah plus one?
Speaker 6 (01:49:38):
Probably Vikings. They're just better than than in my opinion
right now than the Bears are. And McCarthy does worry
me on the road. So I don't have anything on
the game. I know that people are playing interception proper
is a lot for Caleb Williams and for JJ McCarthy,
but I don't know if that's the right play either.
That feels like again those are no and you like this?
Speaker 5 (01:50:00):
I love those interceptions props.
Speaker 6 (01:50:02):
J I think is just a better team and McCarthy
might struggle a little bit, but in totality, their team
I think can make up for it.
Speaker 1 (01:50:10):
Yeah, yeah, you know, this is that old Black and
Blue Division. Game is a great one for our first
Monday night Prime time one. Bears played their first game
new head coach Ben Johnson, and they hope that Kayley
Williams can make a big improvement from his rookie year
where he sometimes looked lost and a little confused. I
feel like a broken recorder talking about him. He has
(01:50:32):
all the physical tools to be great, but it is
the mental part there. We'll find out a lot this season.
The Vikings, on the other hand, they're all about JJ
McCarthy here, you know, sat out his rookie year with
an injury, but is ready to start the season tomorrow night.
I've heard so many contradicting reports all season how McCarthy
has looked. Uh, it's really like all over the place.
(01:50:54):
So I'm saying that he bench by mid season. They're
saying he has he has what it takes to be
like I don't want to say next Tom Brady, but
a really good quarterback. So I'm excited to watch this
one to you own quarterbacks both trying to prove themselves.
I'll just tell you know. I bet this game months
ago and also bet Minnesota to go far this year,
(01:51:16):
so they were a real long shot. I like Minnesota
to make the playoffs. I like Minnesota in this game,
but you can't really bet them now. So that's why
I hate to give out anything that the line has moved,
even though even though I took one and a half
and you can lay like one and a half, I
would stay off that side right now. Just maybe have
some fun with the game. Can you guys just watch
(01:51:37):
a game without betting it?
Speaker 5 (01:51:39):
No, I get it, I get it.
Speaker 1 (01:51:41):
Yeah no, But I guess I like Minnesota this year.
I hope they do go far. I put my money
where my mouth is, and yeah, we should have a
good game here. You know, there's some other guys on
the other side of me, though. I know I have
my buddy Fez's on and he's on the other side.
He's on the Chicago so I respect him to and
we'll see what happens here, but we're on Minnesota.
Speaker 4 (01:52:02):
One quick note before we get to all the picks.
There's been a lot of news this week with Niners
running back Christian McCaffrey with the calf injury.
Speaker 5 (01:52:11):
He sat out of practice.
Speaker 4 (01:52:12):
Toward the end of the week, A Chefty tweeted that
he was added to the injury report on Thursday with
the calf issue. He will play today versus the Seahawks.
Quote he's good to go, said one source.
Speaker 6 (01:52:25):
Man.
Speaker 5 (01:52:26):
This is a bad sign.
Speaker 6 (01:52:27):
Guys.
Speaker 5 (01:52:27):
Where last year he missed the first eight games he
had a bilateral achilles tendonitis.
Speaker 4 (01:52:33):
Now all of a sudden, there's just this calf issue.
It's like, Okay, what are we in store for with
Christian McCaffrey. How much time is he going to miss?
It seems like just a matter of when, not if.
He's missing time maybe significant time this season, So especially
early on with all the wide receiver injuries and you know,
(01:52:54):
a suspension with DeMarcus Robinson.
Speaker 5 (01:52:56):
Over there, they need.
Speaker 4 (01:52:58):
Christian McCaffrey badly. Don't know what kind of version we're
going to see early on here in this season.
Speaker 6 (01:53:03):
To me, the biggest tell is that they traded for
Brian Robinson Jr.
Speaker 5 (01:53:07):
Yes, that things really correct.
Speaker 6 (01:53:09):
Yeah, that's what it is, right, because if they don't
trade for him, we think it's all good. But I
didn't if you have think about what he did in sausage. Right,
he probably spent all off season making sure it's kavs
feet lower leg was ready to go, and then immediately
it pomps up again in injury reports. Right, don't like
it at all. Zero likes on this And Brian Robinson,
(01:53:33):
there is is insurance from McCaffrey. It's that simple.
Speaker 5 (01:53:36):
He is and listen, Brian Robinson Jr. Is good.
Speaker 4 (01:53:39):
He's not dynamic and it shows you a lot though
to your point, it's also they traded for Chiefs wide
receiver sky Moore, and sky Moore has not done much
of anything, you know, very good, but it shows you
that they look at their wide receivers and they're like, ye,
are you out. Juan Jennings banged up, DeMarcus Robinson suspended
(01:53:59):
for the first three games. It's like, man, we're light
right now at wide receivers. So interesting game on the
road against the Seahawks again, Seahawks a home division underdog
Week one. You know, it's been a strong play throughout
the years. Keep that in mind, all right. We've got
Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz eight year NFL veteran.
(01:54:20):
I'm Brian No. Coming up next, Oh, the Crack Challenge
begins five picks just before game time. Over here, Jeff
and I, we'll get into that. Crack will have his
play of the day a bushel of picks. Coming up next.

Let's do this.
Speaker 6 (01:55:39):
Rapid fire.
Speaker 5 (01:55:41):
All right, we'll go rapid fire crack. We'll start with
you with something you liked.
Speaker 1 (01:55:47):
Uh sorry, guys, I thought where we're going to the
five n right.
Speaker 6 (01:55:53):
Yea.
Speaker 3 (01:55:56):
Spread.
Speaker 2 (01:55:56):
We call it the crack challenge.
Speaker 4 (01:56:00):
All right, first week we're getting it fired up, right,
a crack challenge.
Speaker 5 (01:56:04):
We started with you, Jeff.
Speaker 4 (01:56:05):
Yes, the official record last year, Jeff, you were over
five hundred.
Speaker 5 (01:56:07):
Forty four forty three and three.
Speaker 4 (01:56:09):
Go, okay, yeah, you're peaking over five hundred, you know,
but hey, over.
Speaker 6 (01:56:14):
I am fading the sharps in this one.
Speaker 11 (01:56:17):
Here.
Speaker 6 (01:56:17):
I think the Panthers plus four and a half, I don't,
I don't. Ba's a little stop again. I just gift
because it makes no sense to me. Browns plus four
and a half, got got the worst number, Colts minus one.
Those are Those are three ones I feel good about.
And then we kind of just have like some some
you know, some numbers that are I don't think are fantastic.
(01:56:37):
I'll go Giants plus six as a fate of the
of the old bartender. This is, this is. These are
four games pretty early in the day, so I'll know
my fate pretty quickly. And then, uh, why don't you
give me the Vikings tomorrow night minus the one and
a half.
Speaker 4 (01:56:52):
Okay, what was your second play? You had Carolina? Then
what I had?
Speaker 6 (01:56:56):
Carolina? The Browns, the Colts, Giants, and the Vikings.
Speaker 4 (01:57:01):
Okay, very nice, all right, So I've on one of
your plays here, but I'll go in order. I love
the Ravens better roster. I'll lay the one. I don't
care about the Bills being at home. Give me the
Lions plus one and a half the Packers. Yeah, I
know there's excitement with Micah Parsons being there, and I
(01:57:21):
just think the Lions are better, and I think they've
been undersold this entire offseason. Getting Aiden Hutchinson back is huge.
I just like them better in this spot, so I'll
roll with them. Jeff, you if you might like this,
I'm going with the Rams minus three. I like their
offensive line better. I just don't trust a rookie left
(01:57:42):
tackle with the Texans. The Rams have a legitimate pass rush.
So I'll lay the three with the Rams, give me
the Falcons at home plus the point. Love these divisional
home underdogs in week one. It's consistently hitting. And the
one that I hate them, it's the grossest. You gotta
hold your nose. It's what you said, Jeff, it's Browns
(01:58:04):
plus four and a half. I'll roll with that as well.
Speaker 5 (01:58:08):
Gotta do it all right, let's get to rapid fire.
Let's do this rapid fire, all right, Crack, We're ready
for you. Now, what's something you like?
Speaker 1 (01:58:17):
Yep, I'm gonna give you guys a couple of props,
real quick giants. Slaton over receiving yards deep ball receiver
for Wilson today team captain and Beginning's role expands. Also
Dobs over thirty six and a half receiving yards for
Green Bay. I think the line should be closer to,
you know, a little bit higher here. So reads banged
up here.
Speaker 3 (01:58:37):
We got them out of it.
Speaker 1 (01:58:38):
We got them around forty eight yards, so he's thirty
six and a half. Let's go over there.
Speaker 5 (01:58:42):
Okay, we do you like Jeff anything?
Speaker 6 (01:58:45):
I like the Daniel Jones. I like the Colts. As
I mentioned over rushing like the Colts. I didn't play
a ton of my own props in this in this weekend.
I like some of these numbers. I like the under
in the night game and the Bills and Ravens as well.
Speaker 5 (01:59:00):
Do you like the Colts or do you hate the Dolphins.
Speaker 6 (01:59:03):
Both this week? Dolphins regularly.
Speaker 4 (01:59:06):
All right, I'm gonna take an under before Cracks play
the day. I'm gonna go with this Texans Rams game
under forty three and a half.
Speaker 5 (01:59:13):
I think it's a sneaky spot.
Speaker 4 (01:59:15):
But you know Stafford with the back issues throughout the offseason,
I don't think he's in a great rhythm.
Speaker 5 (01:59:20):
Texans have a good defense, and.
Speaker 4 (01:59:22):
I don't trust the Texans offensive line. You know, Rams
legitimate pass rush. I think it could go under forty
three and a half.
Speaker 5 (01:59:29):
I liked that play.
Speaker 4 (01:59:31):
Let's get the Cracks play the day.
Speaker 2 (01:59:34):
This is the best play of the day.
Speaker 5 (01:59:38):
You can sit man, all right, Crack, what do you have?
Speaker 1 (01:59:40):
That's why you need bet MGM in your Arsenal Pittsburgh
Jets under nineteen and a half. First half, first half
Jets Pittsburgh under.
Speaker 6 (01:59:47):
Love it.
Speaker 4 (01:59:48):
There you go, nice like that great angle. Good stuff.
Happy Week one to all hope everything cashes for you.
