Speaker 4 (00:59):
And I just like to say fellas, good morning, Jeff,
Good morning Crack. The morning thing is great with you.

Speaker 5 (01:04):
And uh today is a morning of licking my wounds
yet again, yet again, my fighting irish, my gosh. It's
it's one thing to lose, it's another thing to just
like rip your heart and soul out do the people's.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Elbow on it and then like here here you go.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
Here's your heart and your your soul back. You might
need that. That's what happened last night in the Irish game.
My gosh, Like you want to just talk about Georgia,
I'd rather talk about Georgia. What you guys wanna want
to talk about those dogs?

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Good morning? Yeah? I mean, look I had it's a
bad gambling Oh it was. It's not for the faint
of heart on this sport. I'll tell you that any
any of this stuff. I mean, there's it's just who
when am When a m scored, any announcer goes, oh,

(01:56):
that's uh, that's the blocking tight end. I was like, oh,
that's that sucks for her name, Like that wasn't even
like their main tight end. That poor holder got shown
a what do you I was think about, what does
he think is he's walking off the field there? Excellent game.
I mean, look, I think back to Georgia a little bit. Brian,
as you mentioned, you know, just sort of championship makeup right.

(02:18):
I'm not sure that. I don't know any Miami is
the best team of country right now, but as far
as just like championship makeup right, a program that has
won championships go on the road, get down big early
Tennessee looks like they're gonna score a one hundred points
on you. You just do enough, right, you just do
enough to survive. You leave up to a college kicker
who they started showing on the sidelines no chance to

(02:39):
make just no chance, no chance to make the kick whatsoever?
You could you could tell right away it wasn't gonna happen.
And yeah, another wild West Virginia pit game was wild.
I mean there's on the other side. You look at it.
What what old dominion did the West to Virginia Tech
and uh whatnot? But but Brian, I, I had Wyomy

(03:02):
yesterday plus twenty three and a half, okay, good, Utah.
I think I have to get grind off my chest quickly.
And they were, they were, they were going three to
nothing and a half time at home, sweet feeling good.
Utah goes up twenty four nothing. Okay, I'm like, I'm
gonna get hooked. With a twenty four points total. Wyoma
scores with four minutes left to make it twenty four

(03:23):
to six. They go for two and don't get it whatever,
no on sidekick kick the ball deep Utah touchback four
minutes left, where they run, Utah runs a play, Wyoma
doesn't call time out. Very clearly we have given up
on this game. Utah goes seventy five yards on six
rushing plays for a touchdown to win thirty one to six.

(03:45):
Like no taking a knee, They just running quarterback and
they kept We were in quarterback counter six times in
a row for a touchdown on it with a backup
quarterback in the game. It just like right, like right
to the gut, like twisted the knife and just like
hold it out. Oh, not for the fate of heart
to crack. Is this gambling? Is this gambling thing? Man?

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Jeez, they knew what the spread was.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
I think so, I don't know if Kyle Whittingham that's well,
I'll tell you what. Actually, I don't Thinkyle Whittingham knows,
to be honest, to be fair, Utah's coach. I do
think James frankly knows. Lane Kiffin clearly knows because he
mentioned it last week. I do think there are guys
cracked that actually know. Now. They don't change at all
how they prepare for the week. But I do think

(04:29):
at the end of games, certainly they want to make
their boosters happy and they punch an extra touchdown in
a little bit more than they would in previous years,
because Brian, I mean very clearly, guys know this, Okay,
the end of the Villanova Penn State game. I had
a tiny bit on Penn State. It wasn't a big
action for me. But you know, they get a pick six.
They go fifty two to nothing is forty eight and

(04:51):
a half. As the number Villanova drives down the field,
both teams call timeouts under ten seconds left to set
up like offensive defense, fourth and goal from like the nine,
I think it was maybe the seven. Nova's quarterback like
runs like around one hundred yards in the backfield, throws
the ball cross his body. The Nova guy catched it
one handed back of the end zone. They scored end

(05:14):
the game. Both coaches knew what was at stake on
that final.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Play Listen, I'm just looking at I wanted to look
at the SATs on that and I just pulled it
up on my phone because I didn't know how bad
that was at the end. To be honest with you,
I seen the final didn't watch that game. Didn't know
how bad that was. Boy, they could have ran that out.
They could have ran that game out the game.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yeah, Utahs to name, but done with the game. Why
do we stop calling this? Why don't we tak call anything?
I get if if everyone calls timeouts, all fair game,
run the ball, score touch on whatever. They didn't call
any time out. They three timeouts left, zero timeouts called,
and Utah just ran the ball, ran the ball, round
the ball, score touch and even the ain't converted the
two point conversion. I lose thirty one to eight, right,

(05:58):
and I cover the thirty one eight butson, and you said.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
I didn't realize how bad it was, so I had
to look it up there. Yeah, but both Clemson, like
we said, but Clemson and Notre Dame took their second loss. Uh.
These these were two teams in the preseason that uh
really it's that were top five. I gotta tell you, boy,
I really when I seen Notre Dame lose, I thought
about Brian, and I thought about me. I thought about me.

(06:24):
I actually made a bet here early and like months ago,
I said twent to go one or so something like that.
I said, I just throw a little peanut Notre Dame.
But yeah, no, no. Last year, Clemson was the only
team with more than two losses to make the twelve
twelve team college football playoffs, and that's because they won
the ACC. So no at large team had more more

(06:48):
than two losses. So if that holds true this year,
then I hate to say Notre Dame needs to go well.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
Their schedule crack. I mean they're gonna go ten and
two probably, And the question becomes how much do we
put into the couple of early losses against Miami I
think will be the AC champion and then you know,
one point loss at home to A and M Brian
like your schedules s that's up pretty well. USC might
be tough and you want us to be right. And
they certainly tried to lose yesterday to Purdue. Uh, Purdue

(07:14):
wouldn't let him, would have let him lose. Purdue had
three three red zone turnovers and lost by two scores
like that game would have been obviously much closer. So
I think ten and two irish if if they went
out and played better hard to keep them out. The
team I'm most wrong about this year was Clemson by far. Wow,
And I thought that so it's so much returning production

(07:35):
they had and the TALFL talent they had that we
would see a better team, and it's not it's not
even better, Brian, that that team I'm most wrong about
this year.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
Yeah, they're not.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
It just it's looked bad the whole time. And that's
the thing, is okay, season opener against LSU. LSU obviously
a quality opponent. We don't know how good LSU is.
By the way. You know, LSU wins the opener against Clemson.
Look at Clemson now they're one and two football team,
and they've looked bad the whole time. And if you
look at LSU, you know they they had the bookend wins.

(08:06):
They had to win against Clemson to begin the season.
They had to win last night against Florida where DJ
Lagway throws five interceptions, including a pick six, in a
game that's twenty to ten. Dj Lagway is like, here,
here you go, LSU, I will give the game to you.
So LSU has not been impressive at all this season,

(08:27):
and that's who Clemson lost you in the opener. I mean,
Georgia Tech is they're a decent team, but man, you
watch that game. Clemson had to claw their way back
into it and then it ends in this you know,
they run the fire drill at the end. They boot
a fifty five yard field goal like it's nothing. And
then you look around college football. Notre Dame can't hold

(08:48):
the ball for an extra point, and you know Tennessee
had their struggles that it's got to drive you crazy
as a Tennessee fan. You have a chance to win
it in regulation, guy just boots it wide right, and
then in overtime it's still a longer field goal had
to be right about the same distance.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Right down the middle, like ice water in the veins, And.

Speaker 5 (09:08):
You're like, why couldn't that kick be the other kick?
And we get rid of this eight game losing streak
to Georgia. Just insane? Man, I learned something though. The
score forty one to forty I hate now as the
score Notre Dame lost too yesterday. That's the score of
the Ravens. Buffalo lost two in Week one. I don't
like forty one to forty anymore.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Crack not a fan.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Well that you should blame the holder who that camera
man was on him? Like that was that was? I
was what I mean. Look obviously now how much the
hole is getting paid. But I feel less bad about
some of these mistakes. These causeparers makes they get paid now,
I mean I think for me, you got to feel
a little bit less, said Brian. Do we agree that

(09:50):
Miami's the best team of country right now? Feels like
Miami is is probably number one, which I think we
thought they were good, but Carson Beck has been the
real deal man the offensive line there, that defensive line.
I think Miami is backed.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
Yeah, they look really good and nice opening win against
Notre Dame. That's a tie ball game late and they
pulled it out. And they just blew the doors off
of South Florida yesterday. They smacked them around badly. You know,
when you're winning by thirty some points, it's like, okay,
all right, you guys are for real. We know they'll
screw it up somehow someway. It's just what Mario Christopaul

(10:24):
teams do.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Right.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
We're probably on the same page on that. But no,
they look really good right now. They've got one ranked
team left on their schedule. You know, this stuff is fluid.
It could change, but it looks like Florida State and
that's it. You know, you got like a bunch of Louisville, Stanford, Syracuse,
you know, Virginia Tech. There's really nothing on that schedule,
Miami might run the table. I wouldn't be surprised about

(10:47):
that at all. But come playoff time, we'll see. We'll
see if Carson Beck has the goods and I like
them in the trenches a lot. When you're sound in
the trenches, you can do some damage in college football,
you can do damage in the NFL. Andami he's certainly
sound in the trenches, no doubt about that.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
You know, I swear it scares me how many props
I have today. I'm sorry to change the subject. Boys,
it scares me how many NFL player props that I have.
It's just like list after list after list, like and
you know, I hate to say it. A lot of them,
well I hate to say it, and it's good for
the show. A lot of them are at bet MGM,

(11:26):
so needless to say, all week, all week, I have
been literally terrorizing Christian. Is he coming on today?

Speaker 4 (11:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (11:35):
The poor guy. I mean I've texted him like seven
times this week, and all seven times like yeah, you're right,
we got that. I got that, you know, like, and
it's it's just all about limits. It's if I showed
you guys his text, He's like, oh, crac don't sorry
about that. Sorry about that? Yeah, no, you got to be.
And then I was on your My account was on euros.

(11:57):
Someone in the office turned my account on euros. So
I'm betting, betting two thirds of what I normally could bet.
And you know, I'm trying to and not that I'm
betting so big. I'm trying to bet a dime on
props one thousand bucks, two thousand bucks and some props
they were taking six hundred and forty two dollars. And
he's like, I'm sorry, you're on euros. You're good now.
So now, so that that came through.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Euros, is that intentionally to try to get you to you.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Know, I hate to say this, but it's just someone
probably one of the underwings in the office or something
that's pissed off that crack gets, you know's betting on
all these props and stuff, and you know it's something somebody,
but however it's it's pretty good now. And I'm uh,
there's not enough money. I don't have enough money, and
they like, I'm gonna tell him today too. Now again,

(12:45):
I had to go deposit this weekend a boatload of
money three different times during the week only because it's
all pending. They just they have some of the best,
like like like right now, Pittsburgh Steelers looking they had
the best money line. They were like, how can they be?
There were like one forty five on a money line

(13:06):
where the whole country was one seventy five and one
eighty five. And uh yeah, even though I already had
the bet, I already made this bet earlier in the week.
I just I find a lot of stuff at bet. MGM.
It's a shameless plug. But the plug is not not
not to just put them on a pedestal. It's because
I'm firing them. Both dants so and I was, you know,

(13:26):
trying to text Jeff a couple of things and he's
flying around. Were you in like Illinois? What were you
doing there?

Speaker 3 (13:32):
So, so, my kids and my wife went to their
eighty fifth Savanna Banana game this weekend in New York
City and it's they're going to say on next weekend,
it's it's a lot. And I said, I just tuged
my wife other. I was like, honey, can we like
not do this like anymore? Can It's you did it
this year? You went to like seven banda. I don't

(13:53):
know how they got tickets for all these They just
got tickets I don't know. They were in the lottery forever,
the lottery for years. So they were out of town, crack.
And then Organ was playing in Northwestern. So I decided
just to got.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
Why you went to I tht you were there on
business or something Chicago.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
No. I went to Oregon Northwestern game because one of
my best friends lives like a mile from the stadium.
Oregon fan as well. And pizza, No, no, I went.
I went for the north Oregon Northwestern games to be
my buddy who made who makes homemade pizza so good?
He makes Homy pizzas, It's so delicious. He made one
with a cheese, which is delicious, but he made one

(14:33):
with shave red onions, spicy sausage and a little bit
of halopanio. Unbelievable and so and so. Yeah, I went
to the game. Now Northwestern has a temporary stadium right now.
It seats twelve thousand fans. It was the oddest football
environment I've ever been into my life for like a
major call, like Organ's number seven in the country, like

(14:54):
whatever we are. The game was eleventh Central, so nine
am Pacific time for Oregon. There's no juice in the
stadium whatsoever. The stadium. Also, you've been to NBA games,
We've been to minor league baseball games. That was the vibe.
Like they played music like in between in between downs. Yes,
So Dan Lenny was complaining about it because there were

(15:15):
speakers behind Organ's bench essentially, So behind Organ's bench was
like there were like three rows of bleachers because then
the lakes right there, like Lake Michigan's right there. You
can't go any further out, and so on our side
where I was on the other side, like there were
ten rows, like ten rows that was it, and then
press bag and the two in zones had like twenty
five rows up or fifty rows up like whatever. It
was really odd. Jected they had speakers blasting behind Organ's

(15:38):
bench and they were playing music in between downs like
an NBA game would play music like as a guy
drives up the court, and then they would cut the
music off as soon as Organ brooke the huddle, which
is protocol, like the band can't play when the other
team is information. So say idea all game and then
in between timeouts they would do like minor league baseball events,
they would have like guys to can field goals and

(16:00):
throwing the ball. They had a race Brian where like
two people wearing like a little kid tight car and
then would do push ups and then got in the car.
Like all the minor league start they threw they threw
shirts in the crowd, they threw burritos in the crowd,
like all the stuff that it's basically an NBA minor
league baseball game. And then oh Organ's playing and the
TV timeouts. There was a time when it was like

(16:23):
Organs were a touchdown, TV timeout, kickoff, TV timeout, three players,
TV time out, one play, quarter over. It just was
a weird. It was weird, but crack I liked it.
It was fun. Flew home last night. I got to
watch all the football on the airplane. People that I
was crazy. I had both my iPad on my phone
watching football. I'm I'm all in man. It was a
lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Okay, I was wondering. I was wondering if you were
there for work or out. Now let me ask you,
I should I ask you off air first? Did did
the bet MGM? Did it just transfer over? Do you
know were you on Illinois bet MGM?

Speaker 3 (16:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (16:55):
Yeah, yeah, Okay, but I only asked because when I
fly back to like New Jersey and New York, it's
it's amazing how sometimes depending on the jurisdiction, it'll just
transfer over by itself. But yet my friend flew from
New Jersey to here and he had to actually go
to the counter, but it just happens he had his
settings wrong, so they do. It's amazing the technology.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
Well, I have to log in, I have to log
it under the state rights press change state on the
app right, can't change the state, and then I was
able to to do obviously that there's a tax, which
is disappointing.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
But oh, that's what you said to me. Yeah, the
state of Illinois for betsought it was a quarter.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
It's fifty cents fifty bet Yeah, fifty.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Cents a bet tax they charged.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
They can't bet on college football teams that play in
the state of Illinois either.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
So if you're betting ten dollars, that means that you're
betting you're laying five percent more for everything. Now, now
you know, the average bet in the country's about one
hundred little a little less than a hundred bucks, so
it becomes in almost insignificant, but in volume, this date
of Illinois. It's amazing. I mean it's like al Capone. Still,
they're shaking down people. It's unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
It adds up to millions and millions.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Touch.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
Yeah, it's crazy, but all right, we're often running.

Speaker 5 (18:11):
We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
I'm Brian No.

(20:12):
over here. We've got the Jags at Cincinnati since he
favored by three in the hook here and last week,
my gosh, you talk about the definition of winning ugly,
that would be your Cincinnati Bengals. They gained a grand
total of seven yards in the second half against the Browns.
That's the fewest yards in a second half by a

(20:34):
winning team in the last twenty five years.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
They gained seven yards.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
They were out gained by the Browns three twenty seven
to one.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
I'm just surprised.

Speaker 5 (20:45):
We all talked about this on the show where you
know Zach Taylor, the head coach, He's like, all right,
we sock in weeks one and two. We can't win
games to save our lives. So burrow, jamar chase some
of the starters you're getting reps in the preseason. We'll
get out there. They look Chris, They look great at
times in the preseason. Then Week one rolls around the
same song and dance. They barely survive against the Browns.

(21:07):
It took a missed extra point and a missed field
goal at chip shot. Missed field goal by the Browns
the Bengals to escape. But it's still just week two here, right,
the week one, Week two thing with the Bengals. What
do you think about them favored by three in the
hook against Jacksonville today?

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Yeah, I don't you know, I don't really know what
to make of Jacksonville either, and they beat the Panthers.
The Panthers just looked really bad and I was kind
of surprised about that. You know, they they had a
big long rush and you know, they they they were
they were better than I thought. The Bengals played bad
to start every season, Brian, Like, what am I taking
away from that? The same old Bengals. I mean, they

(21:47):
they were bad. They should have lost, like what, I
don't know, like what I should really how she really
care about that game? Because the Bengals always do this.
Same year, different same year, same story right here, Different years,
I mean, different years, same story. So my takeaway is,
Joe Burrow in weeks one and two, the numbers are out,
we know bad. Does it continue this week? I don't know.

(22:10):
The Bengals defense was probably better than I thought they
would be in Week one, But then again, I mean
the Browns just it's just the Browns, Like, there's just
not much happening on the Browns offense except Jerry Judy
on the final play of the game, wow, going over
his prop by half a yard, fighting for extra yardage
down what nine or down whatever? It was, ninety yards

(22:33):
away from scoring a touchdown with no timeouts, fought for
one extra yard there. So it is what it is,
and that that happens to the NFL. You lose some wagers,
you win some wagers. But crack, I, I don't really
know if I like a side in this game because
I just don't know either these teams quite quite are yet.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Just to let you know, I'm going against Judy again
this week in case anyone doesn't know. It doesn't matter.
Right back to the well, okay, both of these teams
off the good starts. I guess you could say that, Jack,
I don't know if it's Jaggs dominating really, but that's
the word I was going to say.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
They played really well.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
And the Panthers, and you know this week I bet
a live bet under Panthers season wins. I don't know
that I even send you that, Jeff, I don't even
yeah yea, but MGM, as soon as I bet. I've
bet a good amount of money though. I bet a
couple of thousand on that MGM, and instantly they moved
from six and a half under a quarter to six

(23:32):
and a half under forty. So MGM wasn't moving that
fast on these type of bets. Literally a year ago
they finally realized the Kman wins, so they know they
know that to move the lines. But anyway, okay, the
Bengals kind of just like you said, it started off
slow and edged out the Browns and the clocks. I

(23:54):
wanted the Browns to win for many reasons, the first
being I have underseason wins Bengals on no playoffs Bengals,
so that was a heartbreak for me. But yeah, you know,
you're used to starting the Bengals season off very slow,
so it's been rare to see Joe Burrow start the
season one to o. This game's actually a rematch for

(24:16):
Burrow and Lawrence, who faced each other five years ago
in the College Football National Championship Game. Both of these
quarterbacks were taking number one in the draft the following year,
but Lawrence has been seeing as kind of a I
don't know, bust is that a strong word. Let's just
say it a bust so far in his career. The
Bengals issues the past few seasons have been their defense,

(24:38):
for sure, But last Sunday they forced two turnovers only
go up sixteen points to the Brown. So surprisingly their
offense struggled out of the gate. Burrow had like one
hundred and forty yards or something in the air. So
I looked for at the change against the Jags today,
but I do lean the Jags with the points today
and all week, the line has not moved. Let's see here,

(25:02):
it really hasn't moved from opening to yeah, it's it's
let's just call this now. When it first came out
for a second, it was believebly not five and a half,
just for a second, and then it moved instantly to
four three and a half literally Monday, early Monday morning.
And it's been three and a half all week.

Speaker 4 (25:19):
Man, I'll tell you what. It wasn't a surprise.

Speaker 5 (25:21):
If you look at the passing yardage from last week,
all these quarterbacks, the lowest amount was cam Ward. He's
a rookie, it's his first start. He's on the road
against Denver. So he threw for a buck twelve. Then
it was followed by Joe Burrow one thirteen and Tua
one fourteen was cam Ward Joe Burrow to a tongue

(25:43):
of I loa with the lowest passing yardage in week one,
It's like, wow, the Burrow is that low?

Speaker 4 (25:49):
Do for a buck thirteen?

Speaker 3 (25:51):
Like that Borough does not week one? Week one doesn't
play well, it's a Brown. So historically have been his
worst games of his career. Yeah, and obviously that continued,
you know into you know, in into this season as well.
So I don't know what I know really, the funny
things I don't know, like what the Browns do that's
so different than anyone else. But the one thing that

(26:11):
I that I do notice in those games, and this
is very very true, is the Bengals offense line still stinks.
It's bad. Yeah, they get Burrow hit all the time.
He guess it's a good pass rush the Browns do. Yeah,
And I don't know if Jacksonville has quite the same
pass rush. It is. It's astounding that that that that
the Bengals have not figured out offensive line yet with

(26:32):
all the with with how much money you've spent on
Joe Burrow, the wide receivers, there is no answer yet
to make this offensive line much better.

Speaker 5 (26:40):
No, there's no doubt. Absolutely, Uh, thankfully we have an answer.
And uh that guy goes by the name of Isaac
Loewen Kron. You know he's our offensive line over here,
very very stout in the trenches. O.

Speaker 4 (26:52):
There, I low with the latest. What's going on?

Speaker 7 (26:54):
But all right, good morning, fellows.

Speaker 8 (26:56):
Let's run a packer sweep through the prominent college football
action of Saturday night. Number sixteen Texas A and M
won again eighth rank Notre Dame forty one to forty.
Marcel Reid the gambling touchdown passed to Nate Borkaschier on
a fourth and goal from the eleven yard line with
thirteen seconds to play. Number three LSU intercepted five passes
in a twenty to ten win over Florida Vanderbilt victorious

(27:19):
at eleventh ranks South Carolina thirty one to seven. Baseball
Saturday night, shohy Otani is forty ninth home run in
the Los Angeles Dodgers thirteen to seven win at San
Francisco Mariners over the Angels five to three. Seattle on
an eight game winning streak ties the Houston Astros for
first place.

Speaker 7 (27:35):
In the American League West.

Speaker 8 (27:36):
In boxing Saturday night, Terrence Crawford won a unanimous decision
over Canelo Alvarez to become the undisputed super middleweight champion.
Among the early NFL games today, the Baltimore Ravens hosting
the Cleveland Browns and guys. ESPN just reported that the
Ravens were planning on drafting Shadore Sanders in the fifth

(27:57):
round at one forty one overall, but that Sanders let
it be known to Baltimore that he did not want
them to draft him because he wouldn't have a chance
to play anytime soon because of the presence of Lamar Jackson,
and of course, the Cleveland Browns wound up drafting Sanders
three picks later.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
Guys, back to you, Wow, interesting nugget right there.

BETMGM app All right, let me just say something here,
because we got Patriots Dolphins. Dolphins are favored by two
and a half at home totals forty three and a half. Man,
Miami was freaking brutal in Week one against the Colts. Okay,

(29:02):
they got smashed thirty three to eight. It was an
awful performance and it was a steady diet all week
of Man, Miami might be the worst team in the league.
I mean, there's a path to the number one overall
draft pick. It's just like, come on, man, stop the
Dolphins are bad. They're really bad, but the worst in

(29:23):
the league.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
Come on, what are we doing?

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Like after one game?

Speaker 5 (29:27):
Maybe it's like arguing, like over something that's insignificant, but
it's just not true. Like look at the betting market
for starters, right, Like look at who's favored to lose
the most games? Right, The Dolphins don't have the shortest
odds and it doesn't mean it's gonna work out that way.
But if you think that the betting market has no
idea what it's doing, Okay, there's still the you know grag.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
You live in Vegas. They're still upgrading.

Speaker 5 (29:53):
They're still building bigger casinos and skyscrapers and they're not downsizing. Okay,
so they know what they're doing over here. The Dolphins
don't have the shortest odds. No, it's do you think
like Spencer Rattler is a better quarterback than Tua?

Speaker 4 (30:09):
What do we do with? Come on, settled down.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
I actually think the Niners number today is actually insulting.
We'll talk about that in a little bit. This the
Patriots all it's interesting. So I'm on the Patriots. I'll
tell you right now. It's it's more to me than
just how unprepared the Dolphins look, Brian, Yeah, than is
the actual performance on the field. Your Week one and
the reason why I like the Colts last I think

(30:32):
we talked about this was that your Week one you
often get sort of the best of what you are
as a team. You're the healthiest, you know, we used
to game plan for a game and we got we
got that from the Colts like that was a good
looking offense. Can you do that today against Denver? Well,
we'll find out. The Dolphins looked very unprepared. And that,
to me is the biggest concern. You already had Tua
on the sideline arguing with coaches and players a quarter

(30:53):
into the season. Tua is just shot, like he's just
not he's so worried and they're so him gatin another
head injury. That they cannot design an offense that holds
the ball longer than two and a half seconds, and
even for him, like there's a clock in his head,
like first that's not opened. I don't know what to do.
I don't want to run, I don't want to get hit.
I don't want to get tackled. I you gotta find someone.

(31:15):
It's just and everyone knows that everyone sits on these
on those routes, Brian, are in between zero and ten yards,
I know the ball's not coming out. If it's not
coming out, where's it going? So that to me, and
but I'll tell you what, man, there's some money on
the Dolphins. Obviously this numbers moved out now. I'm kind
of surprised to see that, And to be honest with you,
but you know, I could be on the wrong side here,
but I just think the Dolphins just are poorly coached.

(31:37):
They're not the worst team that is New Orleans. The
Dolphins are more talented. They're just whatever. Whatever magic that
McDaniel had seems to have run its course. There's not
a lot of adjustments made. It feels a bad time
about your favorite team like this, Brian, but awesome harsh
words about the Chiefs later, don't worry and so I
just I'm worried about the Dolphins. I get a good

(31:59):
coach and for ble offensively though their challenge the Patriot
are challenge. Their weapons are just bad. Brian. But I
like I like, I like the dollhs. I like the
Patriots today.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
This is another one of those lines. Guys. This opened
up two and a half and hasn't moved a hair
still two and a half. It's a funny line. The
Patriots looking to avoid going to a season here to start. Literally,
that's like for the second time. It's for years, and
I have not had any success play in Miami since
the Brady year even ended. So uh, they lost their

(32:31):
last five versus the Dolphins. But Miami absolutely looked terrible
in their opening verse, the Colts the Dolphins have one
of those players only meetings this week, and we'll hope
to turn it around the players.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
I didn't see this a players only.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
Meeting, players only meeting. I read, Oh no, hey, Jeff,
what goes on? Jeff? What? What? What's up? What goes
on in that players only meeting?

Speaker 3 (32:55):
Exactly what you think? We gotta play better, we gotta
we gotta give more effort, we gotta lots more fouln
we have to do the same nonsense. It never works.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
It's okay, so they don't. They don't say, do you
believe we're underdog? Again?

Speaker 3 (33:07):
There's the oddsmaker's man they know unfortunately crack and there's
no discussion about what what your odds are? But yeah,
it's it's It's typically a sign that things are going
pretty poorly that you have to have a player's only
meeting again, like week one, Week one.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
They had players only.

Speaker 3 (33:26):
Don't like it?

Speaker 2 (33:27):
Uh So Anyway, even in their Week one once the
Patriots looked like a better coach team on the variable,
Drake may showed some good and bad, but he just
has to be more consistent though and accurate to get
to the next level as an NFL quarterback. I feel
New England need to establish a better run game too.
Uh so that May doesn't have to throw the ball
fifty times a game, So this should be the grind

(33:49):
out type of game today. So let's see if that
quote unquote players only meeting helps.

Speaker 4 (33:56):
All about that over there? I like that crack. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (33:59):
Look, man, I'm not sitting here telling you that the
Dolphins are good. They're far from good. And their line
is banged up, right.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
Like Jauard right tackle today, Right.

Speaker 5 (34:09):
That's right, you have James Daniels is out. Like, both
of these guys are banged up, and they have a
bad offensive line to begin with. Now they're losing bodies
like John new Smith was their only pro bowler last
year as a tight end. He got traded to the
Steelers and.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
The Wallers out today too, right.

Speaker 5 (34:26):
Yeah, shockingly the guy who was retired, it came out
of retirement and he's banged up. He hasn't played a
game yet, So there's that. It's not looking.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
Great, not great.

Speaker 5 (34:36):
It's kind of your point too, though, Jeff, Like what
you're saying about Tua and getting the ball out so fast.
This is what Xavier Howard said, Remember, Xavian was a
Dolphins cornerback. Now he's with the Colts. So he faced
the Dolphins in Week one, and he said about Tua,
he said, he gets the ball out pretty quick, and
once we take away his first read, I feel like
it's panic mode after that. That's exactly what you were explaining,

(34:58):
and that's how it looks. You know, the two is
just so skittish back there.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
So that's why I again, I just the Patriots even
without because all's playing today. I haven't seen the stats update.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
I don't believe so, no, I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
You know, I still think that I'm on the right
side here of all. Fade the until I can't anymore, essentially,
which is, you know, what's a strategy that I use
and college college football especially, I just fade bad teams
until until you lose that game, when all of a sudden,
very clearly can't fade them anymore. And I'll do that.

Speaker 4 (35:27):
Here, by the way, real fast.

Speaker 5 (35:29):
Just to put a bow on this, the Dolphins might
be the worst to stop the odds on BETMGM team
with the fewest regular season wins, So the Browns and
the Saints are a little bit better than three to one,
okay to have the worst record. Giants are six to one,
Dolphins eight to one. Like so this idea that what
they're worse than all these teams, the Browns, Giants, Saints.

(35:52):
Are you telling me you're running to the betting window
saying it give me the Dolphins?

Speaker 3 (35:56):
No, No, I still have my Giants worst RD ticket.
I like where I say it with that they're a
wreck offense right now? They might. I mean I would
not be surprised if we saw Jackson Dart at some
point play today for them.

Speaker 5 (36:10):
Yeah, wow, you might get on the field at some
point game two, Jesus, Yeah, it's coming right, Like I
think after the first four games, it's Jackson Dart time.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
You know.

Speaker 5 (36:20):
It might take a little bit for him to get
on the field, but not a time. All right, We've
got a lot more to get to. We've got Bill Krackenberger,
professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran. I'm
Brian no coming up next. The parlay platter, that's right,
which have one selection for you? We pull it together
for a greater payout. We're looking for a side or
a total right around the corner. We'll share some notes

(36:41):
with you.

Speaker 4 (36:42):

Speaker 1 (37:13):
Check this out ar lay letter at his rights.

Speaker 5 (37:17):
Parlaid latter reach have one selection for you. We pull
it together for a greater payout.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
Crack.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
We start with you. What do you like?

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Buddy? All right, guys, sorry over it. Look, I'm checking
out to that bet MGM. I always want to give
an obtainable line here, all right? For Checko over thirty
five and a half rushing yards. That's the current number
at bet MGM. You know, I think he's still undervalued
after his injury last year. I had a Kareem hunt.

(37:45):
So let's go for Checko over thirty five and a
half rushing yards.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
There it is I'm right, Okay, I'm gonna stay in
that same game. I don't know if they're gonna let
us do all this and I say the game, but
we're gonna we're gonna give it a go here. You
let me know. Up, I need to take a year.
I like the Eagles over twenty three and a half points.
That's the number right now. In this game. I think
the Chiefs pass rush is a huge concern. It was

(38:11):
not discussed enough and the Sugar Bowl lost and then
also just didn't touch Justin Herbert the entire game. It
feels like a pretty bad game, to a pretty bad matchup,
to not be able to hit the quarterback when you
play Jalen Hurts. You have a proper in this game.
I like later as well for receiving total based off
of what we saw last week. So I like Eagles
get over twenty three and a half points here in

(38:32):
this game.

Speaker 5 (38:33):
Okay, fair enough. I'm gonna look to this Bills Jets game.
I like under forty seven and a half here. Some
of it's tied to last week a bit, where I mean,
you just saw the Bills in this epic shootout with
the Ravens, and you saw the Jets score in the
thirties against the Steelers. It was crazy Week one action.

(38:55):
But I just don't buy that you're gonna be sustaining
that type of pace. I don't think it's gonna be
anything close to that. It's a divisional matchup. I think
it's more likely to be like a you know, a
Bengals Browns game than you know, a Bills Ravens game.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
Last week.

Speaker 5 (39:12):
I think it's going to be more of a knockdown,
rock them, sockem type game. Josh Allen, he's got the
most turnovers against the Jets compared to any other team
in the NFL. Of course he plays them for but
it's it's an alarming rate of turnovers against the Jets.
And look man Ed Oliver is out on that defensive
line for the Bills. I expect the Jets to run

(39:34):
the ball pretty effectively, but I mean, when you're running
well in between the twenties, that klock keeps running running,
and if you're settling for threes instead of touchdowns, I
just think the under is absolutely live in a spot
like this. So I'll take under in that Bill's Jets
under forty seven and a half. If you Harlay all

(39:55):
these together, Cracks, Pacheco under thirty five and a half,
rushyards over over over, So I say, under my bed
over on thirty five and a half. Jeff, you're over
on Eagles their team total twenty three and a half.
I'm on the under in this Bill's Jets game. If
you parlay all that together with the boost, right, you
give you a little twenty five percent boost, that would
be plus seven thirty four.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
Nice.

Speaker 4 (40:17):
So I was seven and a half to one.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
Not bad.

Speaker 3 (40:19):
That's a it's a big it's a big parlay for
us normally there in the yeah four or five?

Speaker 2 (40:25):
Yeah, yeah, So you know, Brian, that line opened up
forty four and a half. There's no other way to
bet that Jets game right now. But under it's forty
seven and a half now, like people just can't go
over now. That line stood there at like forty five
on Monday, and some over money came, a lot of
over money coming. I would tend to agree with you

(40:46):
there under or nothing.

Speaker 5 (40:48):
Yeah, yeah, hopefully it hits. What do you always say,
crack now comes the toughest part just winning.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
Yes, now comes the tough part winning.

Speaker 5 (40:56):
I always say that, absolutely that Yeah, but we'll say, man,
I respect that Jets defense, you know, and especially against
Josh Allen and the Bills. I don't expect just this
high flying, you know, offense, go lower type game.

Speaker 4 (41:10):
I just don't.

Speaker 5 (41:11):
I thought it was a odd of body experience for
the Jets last week, scoring thirty two. We'll see what
type of pace they can maintain. All right, Coming up next,
we get to one of the biggest games of interest.

Speaker 4 (41:22):
Oh what's up?

Speaker 5 (41:23):
Welcome in Happy Sunday too, your week two in the NFL.
Less than two hours away from kickoff. It's a beautiful thing.
We'll get to. Is there a major crack in the
armor of a Super Bowl contender that in just a
few seconds. Throughout the entire football season, bet MGM will
offer all different types of no sweat tokens and odds

(41:45):
boost tokens. Be on the lookout for no sweat same
game parlay tokens, parlay boost tokens, and so much more.
All Right, we get to the Bears at the Lions.
Lions taking some money throughout the week. Right, they've grown
as a favorite in this matchup. They're favored by six
in the hook and the total is forty six. I

(42:07):
just look at this, and I mean you saw it
on display in Week one against the Packers. For the Lions,
is the major crack in their armor, their interior offensive
line because they could not run the ball. You had
Frank Ragnow, an upper echelon center, retire in the offseason,
and they lost Kevin Zeitler in free agency. They had

(42:29):
to reshuffle that interior offensive line. And last week against
the Packers. I know it's the Packers and they look
like world beaters right now, but David Montgomery and Jamier
Gibbs they combined for just forty four yards rushing on
twenty carries. That's not gonna get it done. And you
can see what it does to the offense right the
whole offense blogs down. The play action passing game isn't

(42:52):
working the way it should. When the running game's not there,
it's not the same threat to the defense. And then
Jared Goff when he's facing sure get he's completely different quarterback.
Over the last four years, Goff is number one in
the NFL and QBR when unpressured. He's twenty eighth when pressured.
So you can see how that just snowballs that interior

(43:13):
offensive line. Jeff and that's a big question mark for
the Lions going forward if they can't run it effectively
and then they don't have the play action passing game
and it's like, okay, Jared Goff, throw under pressure. That's
a bad recipe for Detroit.

Speaker 3 (43:27):
It is. And look, we had a Lions team that
basically had sort of maybe everything go right for them
for a couple of years. Now. I know the injuries
on defense did not go right last year, but they
kind of got the most out of Jared Goff. I
think if you were to say, you know, where do
you rank just talent the quarterback position, Jared Goff's not

(43:48):
on the top twelve or fifteen, right, He's just not.
And so you got the most at it for multiple
years in a row. Now, your offensive line, to your point, Brian,
got worse. You also lost your OC You also lost
your if it's coordinator, and it looked like a much
different team playing without some of that swagger and confidence

(44:08):
that we've seen in them against the Packers. And I
I for the lines to be under ten and a
half wins with their schedule, and it's looking in that
in that way. So there's a couple of division games
today between and oh and one teams, Uh, you go
oh and two in your division, you win the division

(44:30):
three percent of the time. So these are important games today.
And I know Dan Dan Campbell has said it's a
must win, which is you know, you don't say that
in week two obviously, but I think for them, they're
they're swagger was just so different in Week one than
it was in the rest of what we've seen the
last couple of years. But they're facing a Bears team
and this this number, to me, man, I feels way

(44:51):
too big, but I don't want to touch it at all.
The Bears. Kivid Williams on the scripted plays right, right,
looked really good early in the game, and then as
soon as they were off script, not good, not accurate,
not on time. And again like that is that situation.

(45:12):
We're gonna see it again today where early in the
game looks good, later a game doesn't look great. Cale
has to play well against the Lions though he has,
but did play last year well against them on Christmas Thanksgiving.
You remember, right, they should have won that game but
for some poor'clock management crack. So this is one of
those games. I really I think the numbers is off,

(45:32):
but I'm not betting on the Bears all the Lions.
I neither's teams are beatable right now. I don't know
what they are.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
Yeah, this is a pretty solid six and a half
and money been coming in coming in on Detroit all week. Obviously,
the headline in this one is a former Lions offensive
coordinator and now the head coach, Ben Johnson, so going
ahead to have with his longtime friend collaborator Dan Campbell.
Last week, the Bears looked like they were gonna start

(45:59):
benj off with one to oer, but fell apart in
like the fourth quarter and lost to JJ McCarthy and
the Vikings early in the game. Williams Kay Williams, that is,
it did look a lot better than last season, but
his accuracy was not that great in the game. You know,
I'll tell you the critics have started on him already.
It's only game one. Like we said earlier, saying that

(46:21):
Miami is the worst team after game one, there's so
much overreactions from week one to two. If Miami comes
out good, if Williams comes out good, like, oh, everything's
forgotten about We shouldn't have said that. But anyway, the
Lions looked like they were still in like preseason form
against the Packers in Week one. It just shocked me

(46:42):
and end the country. Is this a case of them
just not being ready for week one or do they
really miss Ben Johnson there? I mean, Golf didn't look
comfortable too in the center.

Speaker 3 (46:51):
I think they missed. I think they missed all the
things Brian said. They missed their offensive line being as
good as it was, and they missed Ben Johnson. And
those are all important factors, Like those are important factors
for a quarterback who we all agree as good as
he is, he's not an elite talent. He needs all
those things around him right to really be good. The

(47:13):
one thing that I think is kind of silly about
this game today. I keep hearing this idea that like
Ben Johnson wants to beat them because he's well, of
course he does, But that doesn't mean that, Kay, what
was going to be better like that?

Speaker 2 (47:24):
You know?

Speaker 3 (47:24):
And they're saving the good plays for the Lions this week?

Speaker 2 (47:27):
No, they're not.

Speaker 3 (47:28):
You know, they're not you know last week. I think
the thing we saw too is, uh, they tried a
lot of things last week on offense. The Bears did,
and there wasn't an identity, and we now no, to
be fair, there's not going to be in week one.
It takes eight to ten to twelve weeks with a

(47:49):
new offense to figure out which your identity is. But
they tried so many different things to see what kind
of would work, and they just don't have the personnel
the Lions had. The offensive line didn't play as well
as I thought they would for the Bears, and so
they're to me are knocking the Grand offense for a
little bit. They dont have to figure out what they
want to be. I was at the Bears facility this weekend.

(48:11):
The organ had a walk fill went over there. A
very nice facility. Oh wow, side note, nice facility, nice
indoor facility.

Speaker 5 (48:17):
It was better than the Northwestern's makeshift stadium, is what you.

Speaker 3 (48:21):
It was better than the Bankeshift Stadium, the makeshift stadium.
I went there Friday, I stayed on campus. I was
walking through the camps. I felt so smart, like walking
through the Northwestern coast. Actually, I really thought that way
the one time I've been through Princeton a few times. Buddy,
when you drive through Princeton, you feel like smarter for
the thirty seconds you drive sort of up the main
the main road. It eventually ends crack immediately. But I

(48:44):
don't belong here. I'm out of here, Brian. I'm sure
you've been to the notary in campus and trying to
build the stadium. You know, very famously Rudy couldn't get in.
He couldn't get in. There was no security when I
went Friday afternoon. You just around the field. Oh there
was nothing whatsoever.

Speaker 4 (49:05):
It was like an honest thing ever angels.

Speaker 3 (49:10):
Just nothing whatsoever. Just no one even watches it. Who cares,
It's just a it's a soccer game. But yeah, I
just I will caution people, let's not make sweeping judgments
about Keenan Williams right now. I know it's hard to
do because that's our job. And with oh he sucks,
he's he's good, he sinks he's good. He stinks he's good. Right,
but I think today is gonna be hard, right, Like

(49:30):
it's just on the road. They don't know what their
identity is. They're trying to figure it out. The Lions
are desperately trying to win this game, as they know.
We don't follow trends as players very much. Why it's
a week to week blinders on right, we're week to week.
We know the and two trend though, coaches, let us
know the two trend. You start oh and two, you
don't make the playoffs very often, you don't win your division.

Speaker 5 (49:51):
Well, the thing is, it's a weird comparison, but follow
me on this one, not stylistically, but just in terms
of missing the layout throws and Caleb Williams is missing
too many of those.

Speaker 4 (50:03):
You saw that in display in week one.

Speaker 3 (50:05):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (50:06):
It reminds me of a young Baker Mayfield because that's
what Baker used to do with the Browns. He would
make good plays, he'd make some impressive throws, and then
it'd be third and three. He'd have an open receiver
and he just miss him. He did that far too often.
That's why I see from Caleb Williams is he just
got to improve on accuracy. It's like in the NFL especially,

(50:28):
I always say accuracy has to be a given.

Speaker 4 (50:30):
You have to do all this other stuff, right.

Speaker 5 (50:32):
You got to read these complex defenses, You got to
figure out where to go with the ball.

Speaker 4 (50:36):
Maybe you have to audible.

Speaker 5 (50:37):
You got to do all this stuff, and then you've
got an opportunity. You've got an open tight end or receiver,
you gotta hit him. You got to be able to
hit him consistently. And that's the thing with Caleb. He's
just missing too many of those layup throws. He's like
a WNBA player out there, you know, missing these. You
can't miss these layups, you know, and he's missing him
far too often. I don't want to make it sound

(50:58):
like every WNBA player miss layups. By the way, side,
note you you fired up for this quadruple header to
begin the playoffs on an NFL Sunday is brilliant, brilliant strategy.

Speaker 3 (51:07):
You know how You know how we feel about you
know we we are w n B A. We watched
w n b A, Brian, it is it is wild
that they chose today to start their playoffs.

Speaker 4 (51:18):
What are they doing?

Speaker 3 (51:20):
NFL Sunday, NFL Sunday, correct days, our first dy of
their playoffs, NFL Sunday.

Speaker 2 (51:27):
I mean, the first time I didn't know that.

Speaker 3 (51:34):
Everyone's everyone's playing. It's funny. It's like it should be
a pretty good postseason. I mean, it'd be competitive. I
mean I think that I think I bet the fever
to lose it till it was like I got I
got Atlanta like it to win the series to zero,
like plus money. Yeah yeah, all right, assignment for that.

(51:54):
But yeah, it's wild all four games. It's it's ludicrous.

Speaker 2 (51:57):
That's it. I'm not watching an NFL at all. That's
I do not know.

Speaker 3 (52:02):
I thought you watch anyways, crack.

Speaker 2 (52:04):
No NFL I like to watch, but the quadruple I
gotta see this.

Speaker 4 (52:09):
Yeah yeah, no.

Speaker 5 (52:11):
Speaking of the Caleb Williams off target rate, So this
was last week against the Vikings, he was off target
on about twenty nine percent of his throats.

Speaker 4 (52:21):
That's too much.

Speaker 5 (52:22):
And then last season he missed twenty one percent of
his throws. They were off target throws That ranked thirty
fifth out of thirty six qualified quarterbacks. There's just too
many inaccurate throws. You just can't have that, man.

Speaker 4 (52:37):
You can't.

Speaker 5 (52:37):
And listen, we've seen this. We saw Josh Allen with
the Bills. He improved his accuracy tremendously, so it can
be done. It's just Caleb Williams is too talented to
miss the layups as often as he does.

Speaker 4 (52:49):
Right, he got to correct.

Speaker 3 (52:50):
That, man, which is the part that you see like
Ben Jonson's face after some of the throws, You're like,
I can't. I can't do this for you, man. Yeah,
like you have to do it for yourself. And so
the first thing I think he can do that would
really help him is get rid of that undershirt. Yeah,
that'd be the first start.

Speaker 5 (53:07):
The gray two, big under little floppy. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (53:12):
But nonetheless, I think this would be a really fascinating
game today. Again, the two trend is real. And if
you are a fan of the Lions of Cowboys want
to be a playoff team, you gotta win today.

Speaker 5 (53:24):
By the way, let's go real fast on this little
rapid fire. But Steelers, I see they're taking some money.
They're up to a favorite of three and a half, right,
so we're through that key number three in the hook.
Hosting the Seahawks today, and uh, you know, real fast
with Aaron Rodgers last week facing his former Jets team, Yeah,
he didn't say a ton in the postgame press conference,

(53:46):
but a little bit he lets you know how sweet
that had to feel.

Speaker 4 (53:49):
Here's Rogers. Last week.

Speaker 2 (53:50):
There were probably people in the organization I didn't think
I could play anymore. So it was nice to remind
those people I.

Speaker 5 (53:56):
Still can yeah, he did right, like four passes against
the Jets. I don't think that we're we're I don't
think anyone's That's the funny thing, all these overreactions after
week one.

Speaker 4 (54:07):
I don't think anyone say, look out for the Steelers
in the playoffs, but.

Speaker 5 (54:10):
They're gonna make major not It's the one team no
one is overreacting about is the Steelers. But it's good
first start. Good first start for the Steelers, although they
were out gained. The rush defense was brutal. They gave
up one point eight two to the Jets on the
ground and were out gained three ninety four to two
seventy one. They didn't even gain three hundred yards. It

(54:31):
seemed like the Steelers gained like four hundred yards of offense.
They didn't even gain three hundred. Some of that was
like turnovers, short fields, all that type of stuff. But Rogers,
all things considered, good debut last week.

Speaker 3 (54:45):
It was fine. I think that's what it was, and
and that's a good start for them. I think we
sort of agree that Jets probably should have won that game,
didn't win that game. I liked Aaron Glenn afterwards. Was
was was fiery and obviously non tomorrow victory, which I
like to hear again. I think the start of the

(55:07):
season with some of these backup type quarterbacks, Daniel Jones
justin fields, you're gonna see better play because no one
scattered them yet. And so I think as we the
season goes on, you're gonna see justin field just not
as good Daniel Jones. Not as good happens every single season.
And that's why the Jets Bills game today you mentioned earlier, Brian,

(55:27):
I don't is this it feels still playing well this week?
Is Daniel Jones still playing well against Denver this week?
I don't know. I know the Colts is a big
it's a big sharp side this week kind of kind
of worries me. But but I think that the bartender
two and oh last week crack. I think he's on
the Broncos this week. So Broncos, Browns Weirdly and Eagles.

(55:52):
So that, uh, those are the Bartender plays for the week.

Speaker 2 (55:57):
The voices, the hill on time, the voice just.

Speaker 3 (56:00):
So the voice uh uses a competitor, and that competitor
it's hard to find the wagers and it's just like
they changed the whole platform. It's hard it's hard to
I'm looking. I'm looking to find the voice. I didn't
see much last week. It was just one like three
three leg touchdown parlay. I'm not fainding that. How did

(56:22):
I fade that there's no real.

Speaker 2 (56:23):
Right place for lifetime forty five percent handicapper all of
a sudden, no more picks on Twitter for us to
bet against it.

Speaker 3 (56:32):
It's it's it's a it's pretty much a bummer, like
but the other way. Don't worry though, other people have
picked up a slack. We made money on.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
The tender half because but the bartender is a lifetime loser.
Also started out too, and oh maybe a good face.

Speaker 3 (56:45):
Yeah, fort Denver, Philly, Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (56:49):
Okay, okay, and now I had a good season last
year though, so yeah, maybe maybe getting different information fed
to them. I do an investigation. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (56:58):
I think it's legitimately a bartender in Chicago that just
looks the games on Saturdays, and I don't think that's
more than that. In fact, fifty in Illinois right now.

Speaker 5 (57:07):
It's brutal, by the way, that's yeah, it's so lame.
I hope that doesn't come become a trend embracing for
the worst on that. But one thing to keep in
mind with the Seahawks and Steelers. Yes, cornerback Greek Wooling
of the Seahawks in the doghouse right, gave up a
couple of huge completions on the Niners game winning drive

(57:28):
last week. Where it happens, right, we're talking about quarterbacks
missing the layups. Sometimes cornerbacks do that as well. Like
his eyes are just in the backfield.

Speaker 2 (57:38):
Oh what do you know?

Speaker 5 (57:38):
Ricky Piersoll gets free down the sideline or you know,
Tan just this tight end catches the game winning you know,
touchdown in the end zone on him, and it's like, bro,
just guard your guy to basically just box out your
guy and you're good. Instead, he's looking in the backfield,
but he's in the doghouse Mike mcdanield McDonald, So keep

(57:59):
that in mind because he's a bigger body guy could
go up against DK metcalf facing his former team.

Speaker 4 (58:05):
So that's one thing to keep in mind.

Speaker 2 (58:07):
Matchup today, Who would have thought they would that the Steelers,
you know, would have thirty four to thirty two Jets
Steelers Jets game sixties sixty six points.

Speaker 4 (58:16):
My god, wild.

Speaker 2 (58:18):
They weren't happy with their the way their defense played,
but the way Rogers looked, like you said, the offense
was very encouraging for Steeler Nation. Seattle probably should be
one to know, but a late forty nine Ers touchdown
gave them the loss in Week one. The defense played
great for most of the game, but Sam Darnold and
the offense really struggled all games. So I am on

(58:39):
the Steelers in this one. However, you cannot bet the
Steelers now, so a penalty for me maybe even saying it.
They maybe look at the money line now because you
know when I sent it out was minus two and
a half and now it's three and a half. So,
but this is one of those teams. You guys have
these teams right that you can't bet with or bet

(59:00):
again they always beat you. Yeah, I would say the
Steelers is one of those teams for me. But I'm
still gonna go to the well with that, like you guys.

Speaker 3 (59:11):
At Atlanta's my team, yeahs. My team Pittsburgh is very
simple to me. If they're a if they're a home underdog,
I just auto wager on them, especially division game where
Tomlin is the best at Tomlin Road, favorite Tomlin Home favorite,
not as good. I don't know what they played down
to a ton of opponents, just what they do long

(59:34):
trip for Seattle, the whole West coast, East coast thing.
We don't do that anymore, right, Like everyone travels now,
that's not like it used to be a thing where
you know, West Coast teams plays early games they didn't cover.
I feel like that's done with now, right, we don't.
That's not even like a thing we have to worry about.

Speaker 5 (59:47):
Right, Yeah, we certainly don't harp on it the way
it used to be. Yeah, no doubt. I mean, just
look at the Ducks yesterday, you know, dominant. We've been
cover though, I know, I'm just joking, right, We've We've
got Bill Krachenberger, Professional sports handed Kemper, Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran, I'm Brian No. Register with BETMGM to

Follow the money, real good money.

Speaker 5 (01:01:15):
Yes, following the money with our good friend Christian zip Leini,
bet MGM Senior Trading Manager. Good morning, to you, Christian,
are you sick and tired of this crack guy texting
you NonStop throughout the week?

Speaker 4 (01:01:26):
You can tell us.

Speaker 9 (01:01:29):
Sorry, No, it's all good. Sometimes he gives us some
things we missed, so I appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (01:01:34):
That's good. That's good.

Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
Do you do you have a special ring tone for him? Like?
Do you like there?

Speaker 2 (01:01:38):
Like it's a button? At least. The last time I
text him was to promote the one O two. I
was like, you guys have one o twoyer. I wanted
to talk about it properly. I was making a video
and I'm like, I haven't heard this anywhere, but uh yeah,
so sorry about that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:59):
Oh that's all. It's all good.

Speaker 9 (01:02:00):
And yeah, those one or two lines have been good,
so appreciate you putting that out.

Speaker 5 (01:02:04):
By the way, Christian, with the the minus one oh
two juice, which is huge, that's an awesome promotion one
hour before kickoff? Can you can you parlay that stuff
together and then get an even bigger payout with the
parlay stuff?

Speaker 4 (01:02:18):
Or am I getting greedy over here?

Speaker 9 (01:02:20):
Yeah? No, it's it's it's it's just what the line is,
so you can parlay it. There's no restriction on the
limits of the bets. It's a it's a really really
good promo.

Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
Wow, good stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:02:30):
That's fantastic. Are there wagers you're hoping the public makes
today with that number that will help out the book?

Speaker 10 (01:02:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (01:02:38):
I got. I got a few games circled as ones
that will be make or break kind of for the book.
And all of them really are these big spread games.
So I have six of them here that are five
and a half points are higher. All of those games
we have a lot of lopsided action. So those games
are Brown's.

Speaker 10 (01:02:55):
As twelve point dogs, dinats is five point dogs by
Jesus five and a half point dogs, Yeah is six
point dogs, and the Panthers and seven seven point dogs.

Speaker 9 (01:03:06):
So getting one or two of those teams to win
would be fantastic. But if we can get two or
three of those teams to cover, I think that'll probably
end up being a good day.

Speaker 10 (01:03:15):
For the book.

Speaker 2 (01:03:17):
Christian, I want to go back to the Thursday for
people that are listening here and don't know what we're
talking about. So MGM BETMGM on Thursdays has minus one
oh five on both sides. An hour before the game,
they went to minus one oh two and I'll tell
you it's out there now, and I'll put that in
my Thursday video. I make a video every Monday and

(01:03:37):
Thursday for BETMGM and Fox Sports Radio. So how is
that to manage? I would think that's so hard to
manage a line at one oh two juice. By the way,
I noticed you guys, because I was on top of
this for the whole hour, did not move that line
a penny that whole hour. Isn't that tough to manage that?

(01:04:01):
Aren't you just getting one way action on that? Or
or am I thinking no, it's it's it's pretty it's
easier than I'm thinking.

Speaker 9 (01:04:09):
Yeah, I would say Thursday's game is one that was
a little bit more difficult than you know, hopefully some
other Thursdays, maybe just because it was floating around that
three and a half three number for most of the day,
So that made it a little bit trickier because you know,
when the juice is moving from some spots, you know
we're trying to work with that. And then also the
fact of this week in particular wasn't a great one,

(01:04:31):
just because in general we were taking a bit more
packers money, so more people then saw the one o
two line and decided to maybe bet with bet MGM
and then unfortunately for us, they decided to take the Packers.

Speaker 2 (01:04:42):
Sure that that would be the line to take out
of those two it was like minus screen and plus
o five. Nobody had that, So yeah, you guys had
to get hurt on that go ahead, right.

Speaker 3 (01:04:51):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 9 (01:04:52):
We were kind of floating them for a bit.

Speaker 5 (01:04:54):
By the way, Christian where you know, I just had
a flashback to Chris Berman, you know when he's doing
the highlights and he'd be like lions. You know, that's
always the result you could do that with, you know,
the the handle on certain teams. There is there anybody
this week in week two where you're like Dolphins, right,

(01:05:15):
like these teams that are taking more money than you
expected them to take, Is anybody like fit into that category?

Speaker 9 (01:05:23):
Yeah? The Dolphins actually are a good one that you mentioned,
and just because also the way that line moved, you know,
they looked horrible week one, but yet the line has
been moving in their favor this week. I think a
lot of that is because of the Miami home field
advantage that they get in September. That's my only guess
from that. That's one where I really expected the Patriots

(01:05:43):
to end up with a lot more money, just you know,
the tank is one. I guess it's because they looked
so poor. But that line getting to seven and us
still taking a lot of Cardinals action has been just
a bit surprising to me, just because of going into
this season, people definitely thought expected the Panther to be
a much better team. They were kind of a little
bit of a you know, a long shot darling a bit,

(01:06:06):
but it seems that people gave up on them very quick.

Speaker 3 (01:06:08):
Answer Week one, let's talk about Super Bowl rematch here,
Chiefs and Eagles. What do you need in this game
or are you sort of expecting it does feel like,
just from my perspective, it seems like you'll need the
Chiefs at home as underdog, which is a good spot
to be in for Kansas City over the years with Mahomes.

Speaker 9 (01:06:30):
Yeah, definitely interesting with the way this is shaking out
with the Chiefs and their wide receivers, I think that
has led to us getting more Eagles action. As you mentioned,
right now, we are going to be rooting for the
Chiefs as home dogs, and that is usually a good
thing from the book's perspective. Actually, that's another one that
you mentioned surprises. I did think we were going to

(01:06:52):
end up with more Chief actions just off the back
of coming off a rematch like that, coming off a
Super Bowl loss, teams kind of will lead to the
team that lost is more of a revenge factor. But
we're not seeing that so far.

Speaker 4 (01:07:04):
It's definitely been way more Eagles money Christian.

Speaker 2 (01:07:08):
Tonight's game probably look looks like a pretty boring one
Minnesota Atlanta. Probably not a lot of action yet on that,
but closer to the game time, I'm sure these primetime
games get action. I'm gonna even say tomorrow Night's first
game Tampa Uston, you know, uh not not a lot
of interest. But the Chargers Vegas. I'm the only guy,
by the way, in Las Vegas that turns down two

(01:07:28):
free Sueite tickets to the Vegas game. I did that
two days ago.

Speaker 4 (01:07:33):
I just made those tickets.

Speaker 2 (01:07:34):
Crack.

Speaker 4 (01:07:34):
Where are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
I've been saying, like even my wife said to me,
are you crazy? I said, I'm not going. I just
don't want to go, right yeah, yeah, no. And and
I get good opportunities to get a lot of good
like last night to the fight, I get called two
hours before the main event. Hey, you're coming, Come get
a seat in the suite. I didn't go. I had
to get up with you guys. I thought about happen.

Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
I would tell people not going either.

Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
Yeah. No, So, but my question is a game like
Minnesota Atlanta, let's not use that, that's science game. You're
gonna get a lot of action on that. Tampa Bay Houston, Like,
will you get like two x three x five x
times action on that type of a game then if
it was just let's say a midday game on today.

Speaker 9 (01:08:20):
Yeah, So with these double header Monday nights, so they
actually kind of eat into themselves a little bit, just
judging by like when it's a straight up standalone Monday
night game, when it is just one game, it does
end up taking Yeah, as you mentioned, sometimes up to
four times the handle that a normal Sunday one o'clock
or Sunday four o'clock game would take. Obviously, sometimes it

(01:08:41):
depends on the matchup. So Monday nights and even tonight
aren't aren't kind of I guess world beating matchups. So
Mondays will definitely they'll eat into the UFS a little bit.
And the ten o'clock start is going to make sure
that a lot of East Coast people don't bet that
because they'll be in bed to Maybe we'll catch thee
the beginning of the seven clock game and then go
to bed. So I would expect way less actually on

(01:09:03):
that Chargers Raiders game, especially from East Coast betters.

Speaker 5 (01:09:06):
Got good stuff, Christian as always, Man, you killed it
in week two. We expect nothing less. So I hope
you enjoyed the day, not too much at our expense,
but I hope you have a good day nevertheless, Man,
thank you for the time.

Speaker 9 (01:09:19):
Yeah, book over here rooting for some underdogs and some unders,
So good luck to everybody today.

Speaker 4 (01:09:25):
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (01:09:26):
We might need it, you know, the unders man. That
was the theme last week twelve and four to the
under A lot of unders came in, so we'll see
what happens today. Speaking of an over that you want
to bet, that would be Isaac lowen Kron in terms
of just crushing it, you know, take the over when
it comes to day.

Speaker 4 (01:09:42):
He's got another update for you. What's going on?

Speaker 7 (01:09:44):
I low All right, Brian.

Speaker 8 (01:09:46):
All the inactives for the early games are coming out
as we speak.

Speaker 7 (01:09:51):
San Francisco.

Speaker 8 (01:09:52):
Forty nine ers left tackle Trent Williams and receiver Juwan
Jennings are both active for their game at New Orleans.
Detroit Lions left tackle Taylor Decker and safety Kirby Joseph
both active for their game against the Chicago Bears. Bears
defensive tackle Grady Jarrett is active as well.

Speaker 7 (01:10:14):
Cleveland Brown's right.

Speaker 8 (01:10:15):
Tackle Jack Conlin inactive for their game at Baltimore because
of i and elbow injuries. Ravens cornerback Jai are Alexander
inactive as well because of a knee injury. Seattle Seahawks
cornerback Devin Witherspoon inactive for their game at Pittsburgh. Buffalo
Bills cornerback Tredavius White is active for their game against

(01:10:39):
the New York Jets. He had been questionable due to
a groin injury and one final active. To note the
discretionary income of an unknown disgruntled Miami Dolphins fan because
they're hosting the New England Patriots today and spotted a
short time ago, some one hired a plane to fly

(01:11:03):
over hard Rock Stadium with a banner reading quote fire
Greer fire McDonald unquote, in reference to the dolphins embattled
general manager and head coach after they're thirty three to
eight loss in Week one at Indianapolis. So a ton
of optimism going into the Dolphins home opener.

Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
Back to you guys, Oh.

Speaker 4 (01:11:25):
Yeah, thanks are awesome in Miami, no doubt.

Speaker 5 (01:11:27):

Speaker 4 (01:11:51):
Yeah, by the way, crack you and these sweet tickets
over there is this needs a let me walk you
through this. Okay, this is just a.

Speaker 5 (01:11:58):
Suggestion here, but this is what your end of the
conversation should be. Hello, No, I can't make it, but
I know someone who can.

Speaker 2 (01:12:07):
Let me.

Speaker 5 (01:12:08):
Let me just call it my guy, Brian real fast, right, Like.

Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
Brian, would you go? So if I if I went,
because like like literally I'll get like last minute calls
so if I went to the game, you'd go along
with me, you'd like that?

Speaker 4 (01:12:22):
Absolutely, kidding, absolutely, I.

Speaker 2 (01:12:24):
Mean it's it's probably a dumb question, I understand, but
you understand it's such a hassle to get in there
get out of it. It's just such a hassle. You
go watch it right on TV, you get better. But
then again, I know it's it's it's really by the way,
it's really cool the way that's set up in that
in the in the Raiders suite, you get all the
food and drink. Now you get access to the food

(01:12:45):
and drink, and the hallway of the suites. Now you
get downstairs the private buffet, which is nothing like I'm
telling you. It's shrimp lobster. It's really an unbelievable experience.
And I'm wrong. I understand I am wrong by saying
not not to go. But like back in May, my
guy calls me up, Hey, what games you want to
go to? I said, listen, you know me, I don't

(01:13:05):
want to go to any games. And then again on
Friday he says to me, hey, I got two extra
seats if you want to go to the game on
Monday night. I never probably put it together. It's actually
a good time to go. It's a Monday night football.
There's not a lot of stuff going on seven pm
at night. Yeah, I probably blew it, but I have
to be there, so I'm sorry. It'd be like me
and you, like I feel bad, like I couldn't send

(01:13:25):
you and your girl, which I know, which gotcha? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:13:28):
No, you know, hey, man, I'll tell you what.

Speaker 5 (01:13:30):
If you went last night, you would have had to
take her. You know, you would have a friend. Oh
for freaking life, Like her dog back home is named Canelo.

Speaker 2 (01:13:42):
Oh you're kidding.

Speaker 4 (01:13:43):
He loves Canelo Alvarez. Oh wow. Yeah, that's all running.

Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
Like I got called two hours before the fight and
the main event, and hey, if you're in the area,
I got some seats and the sweet same suite, by
the way, it's unbelievable. The Sweet's great. But uh, I've
been to a couple of boxing events. Uh, you know,
in the in the tea mobile and stuff. It's just
you're better off watching at home.

Speaker 4 (01:14:06):
By the way, I know you're far away. And yeah,
for sure, yeah the sweets are up top.

Speaker 5 (01:14:11):
Yeah yeah, but the event, the spectacle of it, all
that stuff, you know, it's it's.

Speaker 4 (01:14:16):
That you guys watched the fight. Did you watch a fight?

Speaker 2 (01:14:18):
Of course, of course, of course, of course.

Speaker 5 (01:14:20):
What did you think, man, Bud Crawford, dude does just
a boxing. He out boxed Canelo. He did great performance.

Speaker 2 (01:14:26):
He did. Yeah, he did, thirty eight years old. I
was really Uh it was great to watch, great to see,
and uh, I was happy for him. You know, Canelo
was getting one hundred and fifteen that's right, one hundred
and fifty million dollars for last night, so one fight,
hundred and Crawford was getting ten million, I mean ten

(01:14:46):
ten million, and and he does get a share of
of the of other things. So they said he could
make up to twenty five to thirty million. But uh,
Canelo make it? Make an this listen, it's real simple.
This is a Canelo Alvarez town. The town was absolutely packed. Everyone.
Canelo's screaming, yelling, running around the city. You know, he

(01:15:09):
deserves to make the bulk share of the money. But
I was really happy for Crawford, and I would really
be happy if he just retires with that forty two
to oher record. But I have a funny feeling he'll
come back.

Speaker 4 (01:15:20):
Yeah, no, I do too. That's just too much money
to pass up.

Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
Like he's it is still give him fifty million. It's
just too hard to pass up fifty million dollars paychecks.

Speaker 5 (01:15:30):
Yeah, especially when you're on top of your game and
most likely not gonna lose anyway. You know, Like, I'm good,
I'm going to ride off into the sunset. I just
leave fifty MILLI on the table, No big deal. All right,
We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran. I'm Brian No coming up next. Prop
it up. That's right, the prop betting market krect. Let

(01:15:50):
you know he's in deep, like he's heavy on props
this week, so he'll share some of his plays with you.
Right around the corner, it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown
to Kickoff by BETMGM. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown

(01:16:29):
MGM app. And actually yesterday's countdown to Kickoff show, we
hit our parlay platter.

Speaker 4 (01:16:35):
You know, so shut up right there, very nice.

Speaker 5 (01:16:37):
I don't know how to feel about it because Rich
Hornberger his you know, entry to the platter, he had
Texas A and M plus.

Speaker 4 (01:16:45):
Six and a half, you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (01:16:46):
So I don't know I feel about us hitting our
parlay platter. But you know, Rich is fading the Irish.
That's you know, it's I can't throw up the pom
poms for that.

Speaker 4 (01:16:56):
You know, it's it's weird. It's a hollow feeling winning
like this, you know, it's way it goes. All right,
let's dive into this right on.

Speaker 1 (01:17:03):
Three good prop it up player plays.

Speaker 4 (01:17:08):
Okay, the prop betting market crack. We start with you,
mister prop master, over there, with something you like today.

Speaker 2 (01:17:14):
You know, I have so many I'm gonna have a
lot for the end of the show. Also, a boy,
I'll tell you guys, I have a bunch of ones
that I want to give you guys. But let's go
right now with Burrow over rushing yards. I see that
up to nine and a half. Now, that's fine. I

(01:17:34):
think is rushing yards today. I think he'll get he'll
get some yards, and it looks like nine and a half.
I see seven and a half over thirty five. I'd
rather go over to nine and a half one minus
one fifteen the extra juice ere, I'd rather not lay
so Burrow over rushing yards.

Speaker 3 (01:17:51):
All right, all right, I like I like two for now.
I'll give you that the two that I like. I'm looking.
I'm gonna sure at the right number here again, I
mean bet, I'm jim. I think that's the better number
here for one of them. Russell Wilson under two hundred
fourteen and a half passing yards for the Giants. I'm
making this play on the student suspicion that if they

(01:18:13):
have zero points or seven points a half time, he's
gonna be benched at Jackson. Dark's gonna play. That's a
little bit of my play here. Plus, I just don't
think the Giants have a great receiving corps. I mean,
their leading receiver was Robinson last week. I think who's
like a fourth guy on their two I just don't.
I don't like it, So I have that one. The
other one I have here, I'm gonna make sure I
have the right number here. Cam Ward over eight and

(01:18:36):
a half rushing yards today the Titans quarterback cannot rush
the ball in Game one. This number, by the way,
is three yards better than some competitors. So I would
hop on this now at bet mgm over eight and
a half if there's eleven and a half somewhere else,
and so good number here for Ben mgm. Go go
get it right now.

Speaker 4 (01:18:56):
Okay, I got a couple before.

Speaker 5 (01:18:58):
I actually I have like fifty for you, but i'll
give my crag here today.

Speaker 4 (01:19:03):
I'll give you a couple.

Speaker 5 (01:19:04):
So there's one I like, and it's gonna seem like
a knee jerk from last week, but it's really not.
I like Tyler Warren. He's the rookie tight end for
the Colts. It's ticked up a little bit, but I
still think it's decent value.

Speaker 4 (01:19:18):
I'd go over.

Speaker 5 (01:19:18):
Forty two and a half receiving yards for Tyler Warren
for a couple of reasons. I really like what Denver
has defensively on the corners, especially with Pat ser Tan.
The second we know how magnificent he is, and so
I don't expect Daniel Jones to have a whole lot
of success targeting Michael Pittman Junior. If you're more of
an under player, I would look at Pittman Junior's under

(01:19:41):
forty two and a half. But I just think that
Daniel Jones, he's gonna have to target Tyler Warren. He's
gonna have to look Tyler Warren's way because some of
these outside weapons are gonna be taken away by Denver's defense.
And some of the plays last week again against the
hapless Dolphins that they would target that was the first
read was Tyler Warren. I just don't think that's gonna change.

(01:20:01):
So I'll go over forty two and a half for
Tyler Warren. And there's another one that.

Speaker 4 (01:20:07):
Kind of interesting, Jeff, we rarely play the longest rush under.

Speaker 5 (01:20:12):
Yeah, but you tell me what you think about this.
I think it's a decent spot. David Montgomery, who I
like a lot with the Lions. He's not gonna get
the Lion's share of the carries.

Speaker 4 (01:20:23):
No pun intended.

Speaker 2 (01:20:24):
I didn't.

Speaker 4 (01:20:26):
Chris is in my year, like, I see what you do?

Speaker 5 (01:20:28):
No, I didn't mean he's not gonna get the bulk
of the carries. That's gonna be Jamiir Gibbs. And that
interior offensive line.

Speaker 4 (01:20:34):
Is not what it once was for the Lions. He
does a lot of work between the tackles.

Speaker 5 (01:20:39):
I think under eleven and a half for David Montgomery's
longest rush.

Speaker 4 (01:20:44):
He's live you with me on that here.

Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
I play that market sometimes mostly sake one over, but.

Speaker 4 (01:20:50):
I know right, typically I would love it for the
Lions over. I like it under today. All right, it
might be the matchup of the entire week.

Speaker 5 (01:21:00):
Oh what is going on? Welcome in Happy Sunday Week two?
Rolling forward, we're less than one hour away from kickoff here,
and hey, you might want to pop on that bet
mgm app and get the minus one o two juice
right there right crack. You know, if you're thinking about
making a bet on the side, now's the time to
do it. It's a great promotion there.

Speaker 2 (01:21:20):
So yeah, that's on Thursday. Yeah, thursdays they do that.
But yeah, that's that's unbelievable that they're actually doing that.
When I had it, when I was about to read
the ad, I had to make sure. So that's why
I was texting Christians, listen, this is one O two
juice right, that means one O two minus one O
two to one one hundred on both sides. And he
said yes, one hour before kickoff on Thursdays and of

(01:21:41):
course the one o five all day long. So that's
a great promo, did he say?

Speaker 4 (01:21:44):
And we're entitling it. The crack Challenge is the name
we get?

Speaker 2 (01:21:49):
Yeah, no, it it uh listen, I'm telling you it
wasn't on the site. So I had to tell those
guys this is giant. Do you realize how big that
is for people? Delay a dollar two instead of a
dollar ten. Now, granted, I'm too close to the sun,
so for me it's it's of course much more strong

(01:22:09):
for me, but it's lots of opportunities to arbitrage. I'll
just tell you that I'm not an arbitrage guy normally,
but when you're dealing with you know, minus one h
two juiceho, you're gonna find opportunities to lock up a
profit there. So let's hope that last all season.

Speaker 5 (01:22:25):
Well, let's get to the matchup of the week. That
would be the Eagles at the Chiefs. This is you know,
I always hate the Super Bowl rematch thing because these
are not the same rosters. It's completely different scenario. But
the two teams that were in the Super Bowl, they're
getting it on in the late afternoon window here in

(01:22:46):
Week two. Philly a one point favorite, totals at forty seven,
and really curious to see what the Chiefs do. Obviously
this is the team that they lost to in the
super Bowl. But no, Rashie Rice, You've got Xavier Word.
You're not gonna be able to go with that dislocated shoulder.
So that's that's a lot of firepower that the Chiefs

(01:23:07):
will not have. And I'm curious about this, this Chief's
offensive line to pass blocking. I don't like the Eagles
pass rush as much as I did last season. They
lost some talent, but man, the Chiefs, I don't know.
With the lack of weapons, you can see how like
it all connects together, right, Jeff where Okay, you got

(01:23:28):
a couple of different O linemen there. Certainly Josh Simmons,
he didn't have a great grade in terms of pass
blocking last week, and all of a sudden, Mahomes he
drops back to pass. He doesn't have Rushie Rice, he
doesn't have Xavier Worthy might take a little bit extra
time to find a receiver, and that's where it stresses
that pass blocking as far as the O line goes.

(01:23:49):
So what do you see when you start to look
at Eagles Chiefs? Some people are expecting bounce back here.

Speaker 4 (01:23:55):
Do you see it? Do you see bounce back for
the Chiefs?

Speaker 3 (01:23:58):
Well, I'd be far more concerned about Assue Mattia left
guard against Carter that I would Simmons against anyone else
that Eagles will throw at him. You know, it's interesting
because you know in the NFL kind of got to
eat their eat their what was it? What's the saying,
I have their cake, you eat it too. Yeah, with
the Carter suspension where he was suspended for a game,

(01:24:21):
but they count the game he got suspended in suspension,
which is like the most ludicrous thing ever, Like either
suspend the guy for actual game he got. He actually
got paid for that game against Eagles, So a suspension,
you don't get paid for the game. He got paid
to me to play the Cowboys. I think, unless the
Eagles find him, but I think you still get paid.
He dressed and he was on the roster and so

(01:24:43):
there's no suspension I don't know, you didn't. He didn't
wasn't suspended for the game? You know, Like, did they
use the same logic when they suspended Raychie Rice that
he was out most of the last season, so he missed.
Does that counts the suspension to last year? This spension
just counts this year. It's a ludicrous thing. Just say
we didn't suspend it, which is fine. I would have
been fine with that. I am week one. I was

(01:25:06):
told this by a general manager, former general manager. I
think it's very true. Week one will expose your weaknesses.
That's what we saw in the NFL Week one and
the Chiefs pass rush is a huge concern of mine.
It was huge after the super Bowl. Nothing got better.
And the Eagles generate pressure. One of two ways pressure quarterback.

Speaker 2 (01:25:24):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:25:24):
One is Chris Jones wins immediately, Okay, that's one. Two
is they have to bring blitzers, which we know spags
or defense going is really good at it, says calling card. Well,
it works sometimes when it doesn't work though, got a
lot of one on one opportunities in the back end.
Herbert took advantage of that later in that game, and
I think we saw that really hurt the Chiefs late

(01:25:45):
when when they sort of figured out how to protect
it and how to make sure that these one on
one matchups would happened for the Chargers. And if you
can't rush the pass, Philly, what are you gonna do?

Speaker 9 (01:25:54):
You know?

Speaker 3 (01:25:55):
Yeah, you might stop the run, which they did against
the Chargers, but it's a passing league and and crack.
I'm just worried about that. I'm worried about the lack
of weapons on offense. We saw the Cowboys take advantage
of the Eagles backup corner on backup corner, but second corner?
Can the Chiefs do that without without Worthy or Rice?
Now you say, okay, well the Hollywood Brown goes to one,

(01:26:16):
Thorn goes to two. I mean, those guys are primarily
backups for a reason, right or third or fourth options.
Travis Kelsey still looks like, you know, like he's thirty
four and play a lot of football. So I don't
feel great about the Chiefs today. I know you're in
the Eagles money line. I think that's the right side.
As much as I, you know, want my Chiefs to win,
I do think they're looking at oh and two right now.

Speaker 2 (01:26:38):
Wow, I didn't expect that I didn't expect that. To
be honest with you, I expect you to be a
little He looks like, oh and two.

Speaker 3 (01:26:45):
Wow, I don't know what I just I've just put
my football hat on.

Speaker 2 (01:26:48):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:26:48):
I really don't know. I don't know how else do
you analyze this game other than just you know. The
idea is you're gonna just say, well, the Chiefs are
the Chiefs. They'll find a way to win. Okay. I
mean sure that that's what the Chiefs of over the years.
But there's a specific matchup that just don't like in
this game, and that's a Chiefs pass rush with the
Eagles offensive line.

Speaker 2 (01:27:06):
I got you and this line at MGM minus one
minus fifteen money line minus one twenty. I sent this
out earlier in the week. Yeah, I am on the Eagles.
This is the one everyone will be watching their rematch
last year's Super Bowl Kansas City looking to avoid that
zero to two start. Mahomes has never lost three games
in a row and also has never started the season

(01:27:27):
oh to two, So the big question will be can
Casey slow down the Eagles rushing attack. Jalen Hurts is
one hundred percent very dangerous with his legs when he's healthy.
Last week, the Eagles beat the Cowboys without any production
from their star AJ Brown, which was amazing. And this
week the Eagles will be without God at their tight end,

(01:27:47):
who's been very important to this offense though, So that's
one thing I look to see. Who could pick up
the slack there? But can Casey establish to run for
themselves and take some of the pressure off mahomes Arm, Well,
we'll see. Remember the Cowboys scored on the Eagles in
all four of the first possessions last week, so literally,

(01:28:08):
I'm sorry, their first four possessions they scored every single time.
But then like like I that's why I asked Jeff,
I said, what happened here? These guys went to the
locker room and they had that hour break. I guess
it was maybe a hair longer these both teams. There
wasn't a punt in the game like what happened in
the locker room. But you sit around and all the

(01:28:29):
endorphins and everything goes down, And so you have to
remember that what happened here last week with these first
four possessions, the literally Cowboys scored and all of them.
No one expected that. No one expected the Cowboys to
be in that game like they were, and to be
real blunt, Cowboys had a really good chance to win
that game. A couple drops there at the end. They

(01:28:50):
had a big chance to win that game.

Speaker 4 (01:28:52):
No doubt about it.

Speaker 5 (01:28:53):
Something else that if you just look at you know,
take a step back from this game for a second,
if you just look at the AFC West, it's at
least possible that after Week two the Chiefs will be
two games behind both the Chargers and the Broncos. Yeah,
that's a real possibility. If Casey loses today against Philly,

(01:29:14):
if the Chargers win tomorrow night against the Raiders, if
the Broncos win today against the Colts, if all those
things happen, the Chiefs will be two games back of
both the Chargers and the Broncos through week two.

Speaker 3 (01:29:27):
Well, to be fair, the loser, i mean, the winner
of that Raiders Chargers game is two games up on
Kansas City. If they lose, no matter who it is,
Raiders are one to o.

Speaker 4 (01:29:33):
Also, well, yeah, but we don't, Yeah, think they're going.

Speaker 3 (01:29:37):
But that'd be crazy. They want to know, you know,
they're like two and oh and everyone else is won
and one in the division, right, if the Buncles lose today, Yeah,
I think that's where the Chiefs are at. I just
they're gonna be ready to play, like they'll be ready
to go. But I mean, when you start your season
with your Hall of Fame tight end running into your
wide receiver and the third play this season on on

(01:29:58):
a mess concept that they done a thousand times beforehand, right,
it doesn't feel like you're in a good them a
good over for the season.

Speaker 5 (01:30:06):
Now, by the way, is it not tempting crack? You
mentioned Dallas Goddard. The tight end is out, Grant cal Katara,
he'll be in and you look at his his props
over here is receiving yards are at nineteen and a half?

Speaker 4 (01:30:21):
Is Jalen Hirsch.

Speaker 5 (01:30:22):
He's not gonna throw it to the tight end, you know,
just because Goddard is out, like you need twenty yards
if you're on the over for cal Katara.

Speaker 4 (01:30:30):
I don't know. It's something to look at.

Speaker 2 (01:30:32):
Yeah, a couple of countries.

Speaker 3 (01:30:33):
It's just the thing is that they might not build
their offense around throwing the tight end. Though if he's out,
that's the only thing that I work right well.

Speaker 4 (01:30:40):
And that's the thing too.

Speaker 5 (01:30:41):
You see a little bit of the inflated numbers with
aj Brown and Devontae Smith. Yeah, and that kind of
makes you go oh wow, like even on the heels
of them doing absolutely nothing last week, that their numbers
are still inflated, partially because Dallas Goddard is out right,
if you're not throwing to the tight end, you're throwing
to someone one. So Brown's at seventy and a half,

(01:31:02):
DeVante Smith's at sixty two and a half. In terms
of receiving yards.

Speaker 3 (01:31:08):
Yeah, I think that they're gonna throw the ball around
a lot. I don't think they're gonna let They're gonna
let They're gonna let him have two straight weeks where
they get the ball. That saw last year too, when
he didn't get the ball next game and through the
ball seven eight. Now the thing that's the yards obviously, right, Like,
is he gonna you know, is he gonna find ways
to get those extra yards, not just get the receptions.

(01:31:28):
I think he will. I think he's have a big
game today.

Speaker 4 (01:31:30):
Kind Of interesting too the Eagles.

Speaker 5 (01:31:32):
That not a big trade, It didn't get a whole
lot of attention, but the Eagles traded for running back
Tank Bigsby. He was with Jacksonville's. So Philly traded fifth
and sixth round picks in next year's draft to get
Tank Bigsby. And so it tells you a couple of things.
It tells you Shipley's banged up a little bit more
right as the back that spells Saquon Barkley. And also

(01:31:55):
you want to take some of the stress off of Saquan.
You can't maxim out again for a second straight year.
Guy had over four hundred touches last season. So it's
the Eagle's fifth trade in the past month where Howie
Roseman just keeps tinkering with the roster man, you're not satisfied.
That's one of the reasons that makes him great. He's
not like, yeah, we should be all right. He's like,
how can we make it better? How can we make

(01:32:16):
it better? Five trades in the past month for Philly.

Speaker 2 (01:32:19):
Sorry because I was someone text me in the middle.
I just can't believe this happened. This is like, I mean,
nineteen thousand dollars just thrown away. So we have a
big thousand dollars entry here per week in our survivor pool.
Twenty four people didn't put their picks in last week.
So nineteen this week, it's forty three thousand dollars just

(01:32:40):
added to the pool. That would it just that's an overlake,
I mean, but I mean I just didn't really I
didn't realize nineteen people did it again this week.

Speaker 3 (01:32:48):
After Yeah, I know that.

Speaker 2 (01:32:49):
I can't believe. How can you not set an alert
on your phone to put your pics in?

Speaker 3 (01:32:57):
Are you? Are you willing to share your survivor entry
from the big.

Speaker 2 (01:33:02):
Contest, the Big Contest of Grandismo, one hundred thousand dollars entry.
It's real simple, all twenty of the regular entries, ten
under my name, ten under my wife's name. I don't know,
she's crazy, She's just gambling crazy issho know wild you
got ten under her name, ten under my name, and
one grandissimo, which equals one hundred and twenty thousand dollars.

(01:33:25):
That's all going to be riding on the Baltimore Ravens.
That doesn't you know? Listen, you don't have to be
the amazing Cresken to come up with the Baltimore Ravens here.
But you know what's surprised me. I thought there would
be a little bit less than people thought on the Ravens.
The big favorite. I wasn't expecting twenty four percent. That
that little amount. So number one in our pool this week,

(01:33:47):
almost twenty nine percent on the Cardinals. They're the number
one in Survivor. So if we can knock the Cardinals out,
we knock out five thousand people here, almost a third
of the pool. Yeah, Cowboys were really close to the Ravens.
Thirty five hundred people picked the Cowboys twenty percent, almost
twenty percent. Uh so you have Cowboys, Ravens, and Cardinals

(01:34:10):
the top three picks. Rams also there with nine percent
of the picks sixteen hundred and twenty two people. So
should be interesting. I always find it really funny when
someone picks like the Browns and there is a Browns
person there, Like one guy picked the Browns, Like, how
are you picking the Browns a thirteen or that now
they're twelve and a half. I don't get it. How

(01:34:33):
are you picking the Browns? And one thousand dollars pool
and you're picking the Browns?

Speaker 5 (01:34:36):
I don't get it either. But at least they picked someone.
I'd rather you pick a.

Speaker 4 (01:34:41):
Yeah and they know it at all? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:34:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:34:43):
Is that basically crack? Someone that might have like ten
entries and they're just trying to trying to sneak one
by or something like that. Would that be a thought
process by them, I.

Speaker 2 (01:34:50):
Think they're just I don't I don't know. I figure
I really don't they know what why you give a
hypothesis here, I don't know how what person this is.
It has to be they have to be in a
padded cell to have the browns now I'm saying that
and watch.

Speaker 1 (01:35:07):
Just like.

Speaker 2 (01:35:10):
Were like ten or eleven point.

Speaker 4 (01:35:11):
Favorite lead lost at home to the Raiders.

Speaker 3 (01:35:16):
Yeah, I think with the way they lost last week,
that's not gonna happen this week. Even though it is
rather shocking how often the Ravens, considering the way they
actually operate their offense, have these issues. Like you would
think a running offense, a running quarterback, they would not
blow as many games they do late. But for some reason,
I think they just they lose those moments far too

(01:35:37):
often that you need to win in these close games,
and it shows in these end results. They should not
lose a game where your quarterback, I mean we were running
back rushes for like one hundred thirty yard in the
first quarter. You just it shouldn't happen.

Speaker 2 (01:35:51):
Jesus, it's unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (01:35:53):
Here's my question, though, can you complain without automatically sounding whiny?

Speaker 4 (01:35:59):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (01:35:59):
Like, I'll give you a couple examples, two examples for you,
both forty one to forty scorers. By the way, Okay,
so I was on the Ravens last week. They at
one point they had a ninety nine point one percent
chance to win the game.

Speaker 4 (01:36:11):
Oh yeah, they did not win.

Speaker 3 (01:36:13):
There you could whine about this. This is fair.

Speaker 4 (01:36:14):
Yeah, that's disgusting.

Speaker 5 (01:36:16):
And now now this is really tested, Jeff, because I
know how you feel you've stressed this where you hate
watching games.

Speaker 4 (01:36:22):
With anyone yelling at the TV. That's holding, right, like.

Speaker 2 (01:36:26):
And I was.

Speaker 3 (01:36:27):
It was holding on the final play.

Speaker 5 (01:36:28):
They didn't call it though, totally holding on Texas A
and M's touchdown throw at the end. He tackled a guy,
an offensive lineman tackled a defensive lineman.

Speaker 4 (01:36:39):
And I don't want to harp on it. I don't,
but that's holding.

Speaker 3 (01:36:42):
I absolutely tackled them.

Speaker 2 (01:36:44):
And Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:36:46):
The thing is, and I know it's hard for people
to understand this, like the officials knock and see everything
he did it Uh sneakily he grabbed his lower leg.
Thought right, that was the play, right, Brian? He just yeah,
he just professional, just just didn't see it. I don't
like I know that makes people angry when I say
things like that, but it's like that simple. They just

(01:37:08):
didn't see it. I don't know, like what more you
they missed it, absolutely, They probably missed other calls in
that game, too, but they shouldn't see it.

Speaker 5 (01:37:15):
Yeah, that's a rough one for all the for all
the ones not to see. You know, fourth down from
the eleven, that's when you you probably should see. Probably
get that one right, But hey man, that's football. It's
the way it goes sometimes. Chalk it up to I
just talk it up to this crack. The next time
I have a suck out win, I'm not gonna apologize
for it. I'll tell you that much, right, win.

Speaker 2 (01:37:37):
So why does it seem like is it just our
human nature and the human condition? I don't remember any
suck out wins like.

Speaker 3 (01:37:45):
Like we we never do because it never happens.

Speaker 2 (01:37:47):
It never happens, which we're looking at just from our
our perspective, and we just don't. We're supposed to. We're
supposed to win that like crack.

Speaker 3 (01:37:55):
I also have a lot hit relationship with closing line
of value. They continues, it gets a lot worse.

Speaker 2 (01:38:01):
I remember last season you were on.

Speaker 3 (01:38:03):
Yeah, my man, since we're whining right now, you're sure
I played a WNBA play last week. I got five
and a half points.

Speaker 4 (01:38:12):
Yeah, the Liberty.

Speaker 2 (01:38:13):
I took a.

Speaker 3 (01:38:13):
Liberty minus nine when it opened, it closed it fourteen
and a half. Okay, five and a half points of value.

Speaker 2 (01:38:19):
Jesus.

Speaker 3 (01:38:20):
They're up twenty two points with seven minutes left in
the game and got outscored twenty three to five to
in the game and did not cover.

Speaker 2 (01:38:30):
Wow. Wow, that's sick. Hey, guys, just before we go
to break, I want to just tell you, so it's
really tough to be partners in contest. So I'm partners
in this big one hundred thousand dollars entry, the three
of us. So we went thirty three thousand each. I
gotta tell you, I can't believe, after me establishing the rules,

(01:38:51):
that I'm getting the last say on the pick. Had
a big argument with this pick yesterday. So I had
a big argument with my buddy down in Myrtle Beach.
He just thinks that, you know, I said listen, just
hang out at the beach, enjoy the sand and the surf.
Let me handle. Basically, I have the football, so it's
my call. I'm the one making. But I'll listen to them,

(01:39:12):
and yeah, they gave me a It's really hard. I mean,
I hate this is one of my best friends. I
hate to get in these kind of arguments with somebody.

Speaker 4 (01:39:19):
Who does he want?

Speaker 2 (01:39:20):
He wanted the Cardinals. He wanted the Cardinals, and and
the other.

Speaker 3 (01:39:25):
Never took the Cardinals with one hundred thousand dollars on
the line. I just can't you know.

Speaker 2 (01:39:29):
That, Jeff. That's why didn't I think of that line? Never?
That's a great.

Speaker 3 (01:39:35):
Line, Like would you rather have? You want the Cardinals
off of like a good a good med win, to
face like a wounded Panthers team you want? That's what
the I just take the Ravens playing a bad Browns team.
I don't know, man, I'm with you on that.

Speaker 2 (01:39:49):
I I just couldn't like that. He said, there's not
gonna be a lot of more opportunities to play the Cardinals.
This is a good You'll be able to play uh
Baltimore many different times throughout the year, and he was
telling me how bad the Panthers are, and I just
had I had a fight for this spot. So it's
stressful though because GoF, but something happens here, you know

(01:40:09):
I would feel bad for him, and you know he
would get over it though. But I mean, it's just
it's really tough being partners with people on on pools big,
a big pool.

Speaker 5 (01:40:17):
Like this, No doubt I can imagine for sure. You know,
you're your friendship is tested all the way through this
whole thing. All right, We've got Billkrackenberger, professional sports handicapper,
Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran, I'm Brian no all
season long. Bet MGM's offering you a second chance on
your first touchdown bet. When a customer places a wager

(01:40:38):
on a first touchdown score bet, he doesn't score first,
but score second, BETMGM will return one hundred percent of
their stakeback in cash. All right, Coming up next, is
this team a prime candidate for epic regression? It is
Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by bet MGM.

(01:40:58):

(01:41:19):
provide a review. Again, just search Fox Sports Radio wherever
you get your podcasts, and you'll find today's full show
posted right after we get off the year. Okay, back
to the previews over here. How about, oh man, we
got Broncos at the Colts? Are the Colts not a
great candidate, prime candidate for epic regression?

Speaker 2 (01:41:41):
Today?

Speaker 5 (01:41:41):
They go from the dolphin sucky defense, no secondary, no
corners to the Broncos over you, man.

Speaker 3 (01:41:50):
This one's tough because it feels like I think it is.
I mean, Cracker car, I'd be wrong here. Like it's
very much a pros versus Joe's game right where Like
I think a lot of a lot of the Joe's
are on the Broncos this week, a lot of pros
are on the Colts. It's one of those we have
to just sort of kind of hold your nose and
wager on the Colts. I think in this spot, I

(01:42:11):
think it's very plausible Brian, that the Colts do have
some regression, But I will say this, if they don't yet,
I they will at some point with Jones. If they
don't yet, yeah, they could definitely be two and oh
after this week. The Broncos did not look terribly good
last weekend against a Titans team that we all agree

(01:42:32):
is not very good, and so there is I think
a little cause that, Like why was it not better
in Week one? Bo Knicks? Is there a regression year two?
A lot of teams spend time watching him this offseason,
so I'm sure that the Colts did as well. There
is a confidence with the Colts. I think because of
Daniel Jones, everyone's the defense more confident. Off it's a
lot more like everyone's more confident. You have a competent

(01:42:53):
quarterback behind center now, So look, I think it's a
culture or nothing in this game. If the Broncos won
by seven or ten, it won't surprise me at all.
So yeah, look, I'm not hiding the Colts is here.
In general, I'm gonna look like a four. I think
pretty soon they win this game, but as of right now,
I think the size of the Colts they might not win.
But the size of the Colts.

Speaker 2 (01:43:15):
Yeah. Uh, you know, the Colts were the surprise team
for a week one. Uh, they looked good him both
sides of the fields versus Dolphins. Daniel Jones looking to
you know, really resurrect his career with the Colts, but
he'll need a lot of help on the ground today
from Jonathan Taylor against the solid Broncos defense the Colts.
The Colts Steve forced two interceptions last week from Tua,

(01:43:37):
made him look uncomfortable the entire game. Bo Nicks also
threw two picks last week, so the Colts was gonna
need him, uh, you know, to make some of those
bad decisions today to get to win. You know, someone
posted I don't know who it was, but someone posted
Daniel Jones comeback Player of the Year odds and I

(01:43:58):
actually thought, even, oh, I'm not a Daniel Jones fan.
It was like some ridiculous odds. I'm like, wow, that
sounds crazy, those odds. It was like, I don't know,
forty to one or something like fifty to one.

Speaker 3 (01:44:09):
He's not supposed to win the award. He's not hurt.
They this is the I hate this award.

Speaker 4 (01:44:15):
I always argue with, Yeah, that was interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:44:18):
Because Brian it had never been the award. Was never
guy who got bench, who came back. That was never
the award. Then one year they decided Gino should win it.
It's always been guy hurt. Look at the look at
the recipients. Every year guy hurt back. And then and
then the year that a guy died and came back

(01:44:38):
to life, he didn't win Comeback Player of the Year
because Joe Flacco, old Joe Flaco couldn't find a roster
spot for the first ten weeks of the season. It
was never it was always injured guy. So then last
year they put out guidelines saying we're voting for injured
guys again, and and I there are plenty of injured
off of guys who will come back from injury, comeback play,
come back from being from being Sucky's the sixth overall. Yes,

(01:45:00):
you've got Comeback Player of the Year. If you want
a separate award for you got benched as a as
a first round pick and you played better somewhere else,
you want to win that award, But come Back Player
of the Year, go look at the.

Speaker 2 (01:45:10):
History of I didn't realize that so a hundred years
a year for.

Speaker 3 (01:45:15):
A hundred years have been injured guy. Then one year
they chose Geno Smith and the next year they chose
Joe Flacco. It was never it was never the case.

Speaker 5 (01:45:23):
It makes more sense this way. I don't care what
the case used to do. It makes more It used.

Speaker 3 (01:45:29):
To be it was come back from injury was the award.

Speaker 5 (01:45:31):
I don't care that it's comeback from injury. It's coming
back to be more productive. Okay, that's what itils down.

Speaker 3 (01:45:38):
It opens the award up to one hundred to one
thousand people.

Speaker 4 (01:45:40):
That thousand people, do you think.

Speaker 3 (01:45:43):
Like ad tackle could win the award because they just
they played better in one season. It's not most improved player,
it's comeback Player of the Year from injury. That has
always been the award.

Speaker 4 (01:45:54):
It doesn't need to be. That's the whole pointed to be.

Speaker 3 (01:45:57):
But that's what it was.

Speaker 4 (01:45:59):
To care, I don't care.

Speaker 3 (01:46:01):
Why change the voting criteria in the middle of of
like how we voted on it for fifty.

Speaker 5 (01:46:05):
Years because Geno Smith was so epic that that season.

Speaker 3 (01:46:09):
He played well for six weeks that season. That may
more funny about it.

Speaker 5 (01:46:13):
A little bit, but like I think, just fundamentally, like
Daniel Jones a good example. And I was on Daniel
Jones season passing yardage over last year and he was
on pace until he got benched.

Speaker 4 (01:46:25):
Is bainful defeat.

Speaker 5 (01:46:26):
But if he goes from being benched with the Giants,
let's just say he has this like Sam Darnald like
season and I don't believe it's gonna happen. Let's just
say for the sake of argument, he's throwing thirty some
touchdown passes.

Speaker 4 (01:46:38):
Donald threw thirty five last year.

Speaker 5 (01:46:40):
You're telling me you'd rather give it to some injured
guy who's like moderately productive.

Speaker 4 (01:46:45):
That makes no sense to me.

Speaker 3 (01:46:47):
The choice most often of it. Yeah, well they changed it.
They actually never who is the moderate guy that we are?
The guy that we always argue that that you win
the award is a guy who plays well. It's not
like we have one bubb who came back from injury
and Daniel Jones. It's like Sam Donold and Joe Burrow.
It's like, well, give it the guy that was hurt
because he came back from something, not the guy that

(01:47:08):
came from being benched. I have no sympathy for a
first round pick being benched and giving him an award
for just hey, man, play of your potential one year?

Speaker 4 (01:47:16):
Good for you?

Speaker 3 (01:47:17):
Have no sympathy for that, man.

Speaker 5 (01:47:19):
I mean list, So we just we look at it
fundamentally differently. There's nothing wrong with that. I don't throw
in the injury like, oh, you came back from injury,
you went to rehab, you did all this stuff, and
now you're productive again. That's great, that's fantastic. But I
don't think that you should be, you know, like, not
in the running. If your numbers one year are in
the toilet and then all of a sudden, boom, look

(01:47:40):
a look at these numbers. Look at this production over here.
Wait a minute, you didn't have a bum ankle? Oh
you're not in this running over here?

Speaker 3 (01:47:46):
You get That's why the other leagues have most Improved award.
By the way, like, that's why the NBA. I don't
think that, Maybe I know WMBA has that award. Most
Improved would make sense for you, Brian, because you can
just put anyone you want. We're coming back. Player of
the Year for fifty years was always the most injured,
the most injured guy, the injured guy who came back
from from injury.

Speaker 4 (01:48:05):
That is a rough one. If you were on Damar Hamlin.

Speaker 3 (01:48:08):
Yeah, I had DeMar Hamlin. He died, he came.

Speaker 4 (01:48:10):
Back, so surly on this more come back.

Speaker 3 (01:48:15):
And you have Joe Flacco just being old like come back.

Speaker 4 (01:48:18):
Joel was retired. He came back from the couch.

Speaker 3 (01:48:22):
That was his own volition. He retired on his own.
He came back on his own. No one NFL.

Speaker 4 (01:48:26):
How was he not a comeback? Can he was retired.

Speaker 3 (01:48:30):
NFL? A guy, a guy died, he came back to
play football. Can't come back?

Speaker 5 (01:48:36):
And you have then do we not say this like
Jordan came back from retirement a couple of times.

Speaker 4 (01:48:43):
We don't. We can't say that because he wasn't.

Speaker 2 (01:48:45):
Joe did.

Speaker 3 (01:48:46):
But he's not winning. Jordan didn't win an award for
Comeback Player of the Year.

Speaker 5 (01:48:49):
But that's what I'm saying, like just coming back the retirement.
But how is Joe Flacco not a candid.

Speaker 3 (01:48:55):
Award coming back from injury? Joe Flacco came back from
just deciding to work higher. So that's that's my point, Like,
that's what the award has always been. It's been a
guy got hurt and then one year we decided. Gino's
story was so good that they changed the way they
voted on. Now the AP has said, we're not voting
for guys coming off the couch again. We're going back
to voting on guys that were hurt.

Speaker 5 (01:49:14):
Sometimes the criteria needs to change, like this idea that
it's only for injured guys only for you know, you
had just an ankle sprain, that's not good enough. You
gotta have broken bones over We gotta have torn ligaments.

Speaker 3 (01:49:27):
And most guys could come back do tear ligaments and
break bones to win this award. Ox With almost lost
his leg.

Speaker 4 (01:49:32):
That was amazing.

Speaker 5 (01:49:34):
By the way that he came back from that, that
was crazy. But yeah, hey man, we just disagree, you know.
But we'll get back to the previews here in a second.
Let's get I Loo into the mix over here, the
great Isaac Lowan front up here with the latest gi Yeah.
Break it's like Canelo Crawford all over again.

Speaker 8 (01:49:51):
Unanimous, undisputed. We got nine NFL games. Fellas kick it
off at the top of the hour. San Francisco forty
nine Ers left tackle Trent Williams and receiver Juwan Jennings,
both active.

Speaker 7 (01:50:02):
For their game at New Orleans Detroit Lines.

Speaker 8 (01:50:04):
Left tackle Taylor Decker and safety Kirby Joseph both active
for their game against the Chicago Bears. Bears defensive tackle
Grady Jarrett is active as well. Cleveland Brown's right tackle
Jack Conklin inactive for their game at Baltimore because of
I and elbow injuries. Ravens cornerback Jayeir Alexander inactive as well.
New York Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas inactive for their

(01:50:27):
game at Dallas due to a foot injury. Seahawks cornerback
Devin Witherspoon inactive for their game at Pittsburgh. Buffalo Bills
cornerback Tredavius White is active for their game on the
road against the New York Jets. He had been questionable
due to a groin injury. Finally, NFL media reported today
that on the night before the Las Vegas Raiders Week

(01:50:48):
one victory over the New England Patriots, their seventy three
year old head coach Pete Carroll fired up his players
by kicking through a whiteboard during a team meeting. A
seventy three year old destroying the whiteboard caused joyous pandemonium
amongst the players. Sadly, the now obliterated whiteboard will indeed

(01:51:10):
miss the rest of the season. Back to you, guys,
Thank you, I Loo it is Fox Sports Radios. Countdown

Speaker 4 (01:51:25):

Speaker 5 (01:51:26):
Sign up with BETMGM today and you'll have access to
countless betting options, including new look, same game parlays, teasers,
live bets, and so much more. Okay, we go from
Jeff and I not being on the same page to
us maybe being on the same page. How about Niners
at the Saints. The Niners are only three point favorites.
They opened up what crack like seven point favorites. It's

(01:51:48):
moved that much because.

Speaker 2 (01:51:49):
Yeah, they were seven Sunday night into Monday morning, they
were seven, like five different sportsbooks here in Vegas.

Speaker 5 (01:51:58):
Yeah, now it's the in stuff with the Niners. So
Brock Purty is out, Mac Jones is in. Perty's got
a shoulder and tow injuries. Maybe he's a candidate for
Comeback Player of.

Speaker 4 (01:52:09):
The Year next year.

Speaker 5 (01:52:10):
Who knows George Kittle is on iri He's gonna miss
at least four weeks with a hammy injury. But man like,
is this not an overreaction here? Why are we acting
like Mac Jones? That's who Kyle Shanahan wanted initially, he
wanted to draft Mac Jones get talked out of it.

Speaker 4 (01:52:28):
I think if mac.

Speaker 5 (01:52:28):
Jones was there this whole time, I don't think mac
Jones his numbers look dramatically different than brock Purty's numbers.

Speaker 2 (01:52:35):
I don't.

Speaker 5 (01:52:36):
I don't think they're that much different. Some people might
disagree with that, fine, go ahead and disagree with it.
I don't think brock Purty is like this upper echelon
guy and mac Jones is this toilet quarterback. I think
with all that talent around mac Jones, I think it'd
be as productive as brock Purty has been.

Speaker 2 (01:52:52):
I do believe.

Speaker 3 (01:52:55):
Maybe. But I will say that this number feels disrespectful
to the Niners. I the Saints were bad against the
Cardinals in Week one. The Niners defense is pretty good still,
They're not going to score in this game. The Niners

(01:53:16):
offensive line is healthy. I think they're going to play.
They can run the ball still okay, I don't get it.
Three is gonna be in the Crack challenge if it's
still there in seven minutes from now. I think this
number is just way too low Crack four point adjustment,
I get it, I get it. Perty as a starting
quarterback you justed based off of that, Kittles out, Jennings

(01:53:36):
is out. But the Saints are not very good and
now to easily win this game somewhere in the twenty
to thirteen range. I mean, I don't twenty three thirteen,
twenty four, twenty four, seventeen. I just don't like the
I like the diners here.

Speaker 2 (01:53:50):
Yeah, that that that move that that moves just creat
How can you now take the Saints with three points?
There's only one way to go, I would agree. Situationally,
it's actually a it's it's a quarterback matchup that no
one really wanted to see. Spencer Rattler versus Mac Jones.
This could be anotherly one to watch. So Sam Franz

(01:54:12):
defense looked good last week and that could equal trouble
for the Saints and Rattler so both also could be
big trouble for the Saints offensive line. I expect Ratler
to be on the run a lot of this game.
So forty nine Ers lost their their starting tight end
Kittle for the season, but at least McCaffrey looked like
he was back to healthy healthy game. Mac Jones will

(01:54:36):
need him today for sure, so I expect a lot
of little dump offfs going his way too. So see
what happens.

Speaker 4 (01:54:41):
By the way, quick side rant.

Speaker 5 (01:54:43):
You know when the NFL schedule comes out and you
have these shows and they go through a team's entire schedule, yeah,
go win, Oh yeah, yeah, this is why it's so
stupid to do that, right, Like the Niners. You would say,
before the season week three hosting a Arizona win, Week
four hosting Jacksonville win.

Speaker 4 (01:55:04):
Now look at it.

Speaker 5 (01:55:05):
Now, no brock Perty, no George Kittle, no IU like
all that stuff matters.

Speaker 2 (01:55:09):
Man.

Speaker 5 (01:55:10):
The win lost thing before the season even starts is
just so dumb to me. But at any event, how
about the Niners. Last note, Jake Moody, their kicker kicked
to the curb, bye bye, you know, put on waivers.
Eddie Pinero is in as the new Niners kicker for now,
So take that into account if you would like. All right,

(01:55:30):
we've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran. I'm Brian Nell coming up next man.

Speaker 3 (01:56:28):
Well Tony swings, H's a drive to center and date
has pass back?

Speaker 2 (01:56:32):
What is gone?

Speaker 3 (01:56:34):
That's the show that never ends.

Speaker 11 (01:56:37):
It's so hell Tonny's forty nine tom Ron an absolute
bomb of center field and it's four to two, four
hundred and fifty four feet.

Speaker 5 (01:56:50):
There you go, Tony doing work compliments of AM five
seventy LA Sports Dodgers Radio Network. For over forty years,
Tyraq has been helping customers find the right tire for how,

Speaker 4 (01:57:11):
All right, we've got some picks to make. Let's do this.

Speaker 1 (01:57:13):
Five five games against the spread. We call it, call
it the Crack Challenge.

Speaker 4 (01:57:21):
Alrighty, Jeff, we start with you. What are the five teams.

Speaker 2 (01:57:24):
That you like?

Speaker 3 (01:57:25):
Okay, so give me I'm going okay, so bet MGM
right now. Patriots plus two and a half. Okay, uh,
Baltimore minus twelve and a half, Dallas moved back to
five and a half. Ooh jeez, what's what's four and
a half like ten minutes ago? Dallas minus five and
a half. That's that's the bummer Niners minus three. Yeah,

(01:57:50):
and then give me the Colts plus two and a half.

Speaker 5 (01:57:52):
Okay, little sharp, little sharp side over there say Colts
are nothing. All right, I don't know what I'm gonna
be against you. I'm with you on two of these.
I'm with you on a couple of the favorites.

Speaker 1 (01:58:03):
Here.

Speaker 5 (01:58:03):
Give me the Cowboys minus five and a half. They
routinely kick around the Giants. Dak has been spectacular against
the Giants and against the division also, so I'll take that.

Speaker 4 (01:58:16):
I'll go with San Francisco.

Speaker 5 (01:58:17):
I think it's it's too much of a move, like
we're acting like Mac Jones is broken. We're acting like
Mac Jones is like way worse than Spencer Rattler.

Speaker 4 (01:58:26):
That's just not the case. So I'll take San fran
minus three. Give me.

Speaker 5 (01:58:32):
Give me Tampa. I love Tampa this week plus two
and a half. We're just thinking, oh, Texans, good team, right,
They're gonna bounce back win a game that their offensive
line sucks. Tampa's d line is really good, like vi
Jon Robinson. The Falcons can run the ball at all
against them. You think the Texans are I don't buy it.

Speaker 4 (01:58:51):
So I'm with Tampa. Gimme Philly.

Speaker 5 (01:58:54):
I mean, I'll kick myself and feel like moron if
Mahomes gets it done at home and I'm betting against,
but I think Philly has the better roster. I think
they have more ways to win this game. I'll go
with Philly and I'll take the points with the Bears.
The Bears, same line of thinking with the Texans. I
don't like the Lions interior offensive line, and when you
have cracks in that old line, it just it's a

(01:59:15):
ripple effect. So I'll take the Bears plus the points
right there.

Speaker 4 (01:59:19):
All right, we've got some rapid fire to do. Let's
do this rapid fire, all right, crack with something you like.

Speaker 2 (01:59:28):
Okay, let's go with the Patriots game. I'm gonna go
with Hunter Henry over his receiving yards right now, thirty
five and a half at that MGM. He's playing more
than last year, so let's let's hope it's a great
matchup for him over Hunter Henry receiving yards.

Speaker 4 (01:59:44):
Okay, Right, anything you want to mention, Jeff.

Speaker 3 (01:59:48):
I uh to the Wilson under the ward over I
think a j Brown today over exceptions. I think he
gets a lot of targets for the Eagles today.

Speaker 4 (01:59:57):
Okay, I like that idea. I'm gonna go.

Speaker 5 (02:00:00):
I'll double down, I'll go Bears. First half plus three
and a half. We talked about the scripted plays. Caleb
Williams really good off script. Second half a little dicey,
but first half I like him. Plus three and a half.

Speaker 4 (02:00:14):
All right, let's get the cracks play of the day.

Speaker 1 (02:00:17):
This is the best play of the day.

Speaker 7 (02:00:22):
All right, crack?

Speaker 4 (02:00:23):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (02:00:24):
Monday Night Football? Raiders Chargers over the forty six and
a half at bet MGM over. Have a great week, guys, enjoy,
have a great time.

Speaker 5 (02:00:33):
Hey man, looking forward to it. I'll be waiting for
the limo as we go. See that game tomorrow on
it
