Speaker 1 (00:31):
Now we're live from your tailgame. Here's Brian no Hire,
NFL Betteran, Jeff Schwartz, and Professional Sports better Bill crack Krackenberger.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
Oh what is going on? Welcome in Week nine of
the NFL. We will get to it. Lots the previews,
some really good matchups, but fellas, we start with an
epic Game seven last night Little college football preview as well.
But the Dodgers get it done. Three solo home runs,
(01:04):
one in the eighth, one in the ninth, one in
the eleven, and they steal Game seven. What a series,
What an epic game. Good morning, Jeff, Good morning Crack.
I know you have lots of thoughts on this series.
That was unbelievable, man, So.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Good morning everyone. Uh, disappointing finishing For someone who hates
the Dodgers, that wasn't great. But you know, we talked
a lot about this when it comes to football, and
we're talking a lot about today. Is there are a
lot of teams that are close and talent and close
in the ability to get basically to the finish line,
(01:41):
but crossing the finish line takes a little bit of
something extra, right, Yeah, And Toronto wasn't able to make
the bigger plays in the big moments in Game seven,
and the Dodgers did. And that's the difference between maybe
the Chiefs being the Bills today. It's really been the
difference in why the Chiefs have beat them in the postseason, right.
And it may look the Dodgers hit two oh three
(02:02):
in the World Series, two o three won the World Series,
lusill ninth inning For a second, I don't know why
they replaced Boba Schett when he got on base and
then to not steal second base made no So now
the eventually got on the third base, but they needed
Bo's bat later in the game, right, like I think,
like they don't And then you know, the there's over
(02:22):
I said it to you guys, and there's overhead picture
of the runner on third base with one out, getting
a secondary lead, knowing that he's the winning run for
the World Series. He has a lead that I would
tell my eight year old daughter, like, get more more please,
like down the line a little bit, and he's out
by a fraction at home plate. Now I actually think
(02:45):
I'm glad to replay upheld the call. I think I
my biggest scripe with replay is that the job is
to fix egregious errors. The ball beat him there and
the foot was on the base. He's out, Like, I
don't want this overturn safe World Series over right, I'm
glad they made the right day they call them should
but like in that moment, though, if you're a little
(03:07):
more aggressive as you should have been, you're probably safe,
right Yeah, And then look at the Dodgers Rojas off
the bench home run. PA has that catch like Mikey
Hernandez was trying to make a Willie Mays catch with
the World Series on the line. I could not believe
that was an actual attempt, Like he could have turned around. No,
he's over the shoulder basket catching and PA has comes
(03:29):
up and like the Dodgers, sort of the Blue Jays
made two pitching errors in the last three innings and
both of them were hit for home runs. Right, they
have two curve balls or also pitchers of everyone called
them Rojas home run, Will Smith home runs. Like the
Dodgers won these moments crack and the Blue Jays did
not in a series that again, I think the Blue
(03:50):
Jays were probably just as good or better. But in
the end, the Dodgers made those plays and the Blue
Jays didn't. And that, again is the margin in a
seven game series of error, and that's there between winning
and losing.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Yeah, yeah, good morning you guys. I have to tell you,
this reminded me of maybe the eighty six World Series.
I was a big Mets fan. This is before I
was a professional sports better and I really cared about
the teams. It just reminded me of a Dykstra home run.
I was just so many different things that reminded me
of just to get there, and like I said, I
(04:31):
was a big Mets fan, but this was just I
guess this goes down as one of the top five
epic World Series Game sevens. I mean, there's not a
lot of Game sevens to begin with, but I was
out at a casino and I was out watching and
one of the directors I was speaking to, and I'm
not gonna name the casino, doesn't matter. I was surprised,
(04:54):
and I'm looking forward to talking to Christian or whoever
we're talking to today. I was surprised at the risk
of what the casino they're rooting for Toronto. There was
so many futures bet on the Dodgers. He said, we
just we couldn't get off our position. And it was
like a pretty healthy six figure decision. Uh, they needed Toronto.
(05:17):
So and that was for the World Series and even
the game. The Dodgers were the bet on the game.
So for a smaller position, but a pretty healthy six
figure decision.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
It just because I seen the Dodgers of such low
odds all season long, like healthy, I just know, I
just think, who could I'm thinking of the public, who
could bet them? Like what? I don't understand. They're only like,
you know, let's say the beginning of the season, they were,
you know, three and a half to one or four
to one, and then during the season they were still
giant favorites to win the World's just no value at
(05:51):
all yet yet they yet they had a big giant,
you know, half a million dollar decision.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
I'll tell you. I'll tell you why I'm I'm a
little bit I'm like this too. Sometimes we're like you
just sort of don't forget to make futures. But you're
just like, I don't really want it. I'm not sure
I want to do it. I'm not sure this and that.
Like I'll give you example this morning, so Julian's saying,
the Ohio State quarterback is probably gonna win the Heisman
at this rate, and he's like plus one twenty this morning,
plus one ten. You missed it right here, had four
(06:16):
to one two weeks. I had a building right and
it's like it's like but I'm sort of like today,
I'm like, it's probably gonna win. I mean, I still
get plus one hundred. It could be five, you know,
minus five hundred by the end of the season, like
especially if I were gonna miss it. Like I think
people just think like that and they just get it now, right,
Like they to your point, like they don't really look
at the value of missing it. I haven't done it yet.
(06:37):
I probably won't do it. But the fact is, like
I think people just wake up and look at their
sports books and look at the futures crack and they're like, well,
the Dodgers are good. I don't really care the values.
I'm just gonna bet the Dodgers. I think that's why
a lot of people do it. For you. You look
at it year round, and so the value is different
for you than it is for someone else who I
think just they're counting on those people to make those wagers.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
You're right. I look, you said, the last thing you
said was spot on. I look at it year round
and I say, well, it was this odds. Now it's
this odds and like you're saying, uh, is there anyone
who's second, Like is it second choice for to one?
Then I understand how of course you're gonna be won
to one, and it's probably good odds because of the situation.
(07:19):
Uh the other guy's way way, I don't have the
odds on from.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
The Mendoza is a little bit behind him, but it's
a little bit. Yeah, Like I think I think I
saw like two and a half to one.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Oh it's that and it is that close. Okay, so
it's yeah and a half to one.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
I think Sayan's gonna win, but he's gotta play well,
that's the Michigan. It just comes down to one game essentially.
If he plays well, that's the Michigan, he's gonna win.
Because no one else said, we'll talk about college football
maybe an hour or later. I don't want you want
to do it, Brian. I mean, yesterday was like a
quintessential college football day in November when the pressure is
on you. Now, like it becomes real in November, right
that the CFP rankings come out on Tuesday, which is
(07:52):
gonna be a mess. I have no idea after the
top four what they're gonna do. I think in the
top five, I feel pretty good about it's gonna be
you know, Indian Ohio State, A and Alabama. Notre Dame.
I think with the top five, but even though they
in the top five, I think, why.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Not know completely, I'd be doing some summer assaults up
there that I just hate that they I won't do
a whole Notre Dame thing. I just hate that they
were so sloppy against a horrible Boston college team.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
So they so they're their power rated really really high.
I don't know, I they'renna end up being that high
in the end, but yeah, I mean they were thirty
point favorites yesterday, and that was not a thirty point
favorite performance unfortunately for them. Nonetheless, you had November Man
and just the rear weird. So it happened to college
football yesterday. It was one of those days where Miami
(08:40):
loses and and even your irish thirty point favorites as
twelve to ten and a third quarter and that game
was ugly. And just you go down a list of
Cincinnati last night getting blown out and Houston is a
double digit favorite at home getting blown up by West Virginia.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
You called Georgia the game you had that that was
a good call.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
You Georgia has to ape barely right, like it just
all these instances of college football just being a sport
like nothing else, nothing like college football just not it's
not and so uh in this given year. Getting back
to the Heisman discussion, Mendoza, I don't think people look
at Indiana and think like this is Mendoza's doing. I
(09:20):
really don't think that. I think people look at them
as a team they're just but I think what Julian's saying,
because of the success of Jeremiah Smith and just sort
of the offensive is it volts at the season, they're
playing better. I think people do a good jewel and
saying and think like he's he's a big reason why,
and so I think that's why he has a chance
(09:40):
to win the Heisman. Wom Mendoza to me is not
in that and then no one else, who else, who
else winning the Heisman?
Speaker 4 (09:46):
Yeah, I mean that's yeah, but they just don't. He
doesn't have like the Heisman moment. He doesn't have that.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
Yesterday it could have been that had a great run.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
But it's against Boston College. You know, it's not a
huge game like winning play, you know. I mean, it's
not like a typical Heisman moment. It's against Boston College.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
We know why he was looking at the sidelines on
that randa You might have missed it. So so, uh,
Nordy is up. Was it twelve to ten?
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Right?
Speaker 3 (10:13):
So it is when this happened, twelve ten because.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
They missed the next extra point. It was two extra
ball they.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Did, yeah, and they score. Jeremiah loved. The running back
goes like a ninety five yard touchdown run and as
she's running by the sidelines and he's looking at the sidelines,
and I thought it was one of those where like
it was a fourth quarter, under two minutes left and
they're telling him to like I thought, like get down,
Like I don't know what he was doing. Was the
middle of the third quarter. I don't know what he's
slowed down. Look at the sideline. I know, I don't
(10:38):
know what he was doing. Fun what it was, it
was very odd, very odd. But I just in college
football right now, it's so much fun because it just
we just don't know, you know, there's so much unknown,
in my opinion right now in this sport that it
makes it a lot of fun.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
One thing I wanted to say, and I'm curious if
you guys agree with this, but one thing that stood
out to me. It was in the Georgia game, and
you know, shout out to kurb Smart again. He said
this after the Old Miss win, you know, the previous week.
He said this, the one thing we are we're hard
to kill. We're hard to kill. I love I love that.
It's just like the motto the banner of Georgia football.
(11:13):
But what stood out to me it was another fourth
quarter comeback. They've had three of them this year, three
fourth quarter comebacks, and it wasn't a Picasso against Florida.
Florida's been down this year, we all know that. But
Georgia guts it out. They win twenty four to twenty
And I just thought, like, in this era of the
twelve team college football playoff, where teams need style points,
(11:35):
when we get hung up on style points, I hope
we don't completely devalue ugly wins, right because every game
isn't going to be beautiful. Every game isn't going to
be a work of art where it's like, wow, look
at they were just functioning on offense. The defense was unbelievable.
Sometimes it's pretty and ugly and you just have to
find a way to win an ugly game. And we
(11:55):
shouldn't completely dismiss that. And I think that's happening where
it's we got to have those style points. If you
don't have style points, don't come talk to me. There
is a value in winning ugly games.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Man. They took a knee on the one yard line
and they did right. Yeah, that cost me, by the way,
of course I had Georgia. Uh yeah, that's that goes
down as one of the bad beats this year college football, though,
so to top ten teams lose again Miami Georgia tech
as you guys were saying, but you're just funny you
picked that Georgia game. Boy, that was an ugly thing
(12:29):
for me. You know, you're laying seven points and taking
in mee at the one. It was it was the right.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
Football play, though, you know, the right football play ugly
for anyone who was on Texas since they laid the
three in the hook.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
I had, I had, I had the three and that's better. Yeah,
to the fourth quarter. According to you know, the probability
whatever meters, whateveryone call them, text out a nine ninety
percent chance to cover that game, to cover the cover,
it was thirty four sixteen.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
There.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
We'll also got Texas just playing like the softest defense
of all time. And they also didn't you know, like
the officiating has been bad this season. I mean, that
wasn't a two point. He didn't get in. I don't know.
You can't convince me he got out a two book
con version. They reviewed it, and so it just he
didn't get in. But it's a it's a unique year, man,
where I'm glad you mentioned the ugly win, Brian, because
(13:25):
one thing I try to do, you know, look, Oregon's
really good. The fan base expects a lot, and I
try to tell it's a twelve game season. You're gonna
have a twenty one to seven winn in a month
soon against Wisconsin. Yeah, you just are like that, like
that's that's that's the sport. The question is again, how
do you play this weekend against Iowa? How do we
play against USC in Washington. You're gonna have ugliness when
(13:46):
you don't like Indiana, Like that should be commended obviously,
but you're gonna have ugly football games. These are college kids.
There's emotions involved. Florida Georgia's a rivalry and so I
don't know they're gonna punish Georgia. But but but there
also is the side of it where we saw it
with Cincinnati last night where it's like they sort of
been winning and you're like, I don't really know Georgia
(14:07):
tech right, Like I just there's like they're they're there,
and then they have that game and it's like, see,
I told you, like we So there's that also that
line where like Georgia they play Texas next two weeks
from now, and it's like they're itching for a loss.
I'm not sure Texas a team, you give it to them,
though Texas looked a lot better yesterday. But like George's
itching for a loss. And so that's the only thing
(14:28):
about winning ugly so often is that you do eventually
get that loss that you're sort of been waiting to get, Brian,
and so that is the concern. So it's good you
win those games, but also it's also maybe a sign
that that something bad is coming at some point.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
Yeah, no, like high alert going forward, Yeah, yeah, real fast.
What's going on with Mario? Chris de Ball again, Like
I had a friend text me and this is a
great description. Shout out to my friend Eric, we work
together in Portland. But he said, Mario Christobal is like
the opposite of James Franklin, And that's a really good description.
If you look at James Franklin. Yeah, if you look
(15:07):
at James Franklin when he was at Penn State, put
this year aside. He was routinely beating the teams he
was supposed to beat. He was smashing those teams routinely,
and then he'd lose the big games. Right, he was
small game James a lot of the time at Penn State.
Mario Christaball is the opposite. He'll win some of these
big games. It's just these these games that he should win,
(15:27):
and every single year he'll drop a game he should win,
sometimes multiple times in a season. They've done it, certainly
twice this year, losing to Louisville. Louisville's pretty good team,
but losing the way they did to SMU on the road.
Just an ugly win, ugly loss at there. You know,
almost double digit point favorites that the line moves right
(15:49):
before kickoff, but still healthy favorites. And Carson beck right
four interceptions in the loss to Louisville, costly interception in
overtime against SMU, and here he is, Crystaball. I just
texted my buddy and I'm like, I think, crystal ball.
He's aggressive in these bigger games, and then he gets
too conservative. He's too passive. He's too something might go wrong.
(16:09):
It's like, bro, just let it all hang out, be
aggressive every time, regardless of the opponent. He just doesn't
do that.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
He's seven and five in his last twelve games before
those loss that come as a touchdown plus favorites. You know,
I was texting with a buddy yesterday and I said,
you know, like if you had to choose between basically
having like Dan Lanning right where you'll win every game,
but you go fifty to fifteen in the big games, yeah,
(16:37):
or you're essentially Mario right and you win the big
I'm not me sure win the big games, right, way
to say it, but like you, you win that game
as no other day, but you lose to SMU. I'd
much rather have James Franklin Dan Lanning, like I read,
I have the win every game is supposed to win, right,
And that's what cost James Franklin the end is he
started he started losing those games that they're supposed to win.
(16:58):
That's right, Yeah, because eventually you do have a breakthrough.
Just remember Ryan Dave was looked at as a coach
that couldn't win the Big One until he did totally right,
Like you, eventually, if you're good enough, you eventually get there.
And so to me, you much rather be in that
spot than be the coach that can't win against SMU
and whatnot. And so yeah, Miami, look, we were discussing
(17:21):
last week. I think could you get three ACC teams
in based on the schedule and based on if Miami
had won out. Wow, and Georgia Tech had won out.
And let's say Louisville or Virginia and Tech loses an
ax Chanship game, there they'd be twelve and one. Like
you're going in, right the Louisville's going in and Miami's
(17:42):
going in. And now I couldn't tell you the twelve
teams are going to be.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
I know one week later it's looking all different right now.
But hey man, welcome to college football. It's a wild time.

in the BETMGM app All right, So we got the
Colts at the Steelers here today. Colt's now favored by
three and a half on the road, and I would say, easily,
(19:58):
this got to be the biggest surprise in the NFL,
good or bad.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
Right.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
The Ravens have been a surprise, have been other bad surprises.
But I think a lot of that is explainable if
you said at the beginning of the year, Hey, Lamar
is gonna miss you know, three plus games whatever it was, Okay,
I get why their record is what it is. If
I said before the season, hey, nothing crazy is gonna
happen with the Colts. It's just, you know, like Daniel
(20:22):
Jones is there, he's with Shane Steichen. Now even if
he was starting to explain, you wouldn't see seven and
one coming at all. But here we are biggest surprise.
What do you think can they keep it going again
against the Steelers here?
Speaker 3 (20:35):
So last week I was not good for your boy.
And it's been a bad season both NFL and in
college and college have been good at for years, it's
not been great. And uh, one of the things I
did last one of the things I'm doing this season,
right is like you, I don't do a ton of trends,
but I do like teams in certain spots. And last
(20:55):
week I like Pittsburgh right, And I told you, guys,
Mike Tomlin, you know, as a home underdogs, he was
twenty two to seven and three heading into this game
last week. And part of the reason he's so good
in those spots is They've always been good on defense,
and they just sort of suffocate games and they make
it really hard to play them. Because of that reason,
(21:17):
their defense is one of the worst in the NFL
this season. Throw the trend out, like the trend does
not nothing, because it worked for one specific reason. Because
their defense suffocated teams, they sort of made the right
plays and the games were twelve to ten the fourth quarter,
and they ugly them up right, They made him really ugly.
This year, they have allowed. Let's counted up thirty five
(21:40):
to the Packers, thirty three the Bengals, what thirty one
of the Seahawks, thirty two to the Jets, and mind
you the Patriots, Okay, they allowed twenty one. The Patriots
turn the ball over twice in the end zone. Should
be thirty five points to the Patriots. Yeah, so I'm
on the Colts today. I don't know why this game
would be. We have a half a season of information
(22:02):
and film. Now. The Colts are playing a brand of
football crack that carries anywhere they play, and they're not
playing a good defense. They could just run the ball
thirty times in this game if they want, like and and.
On the flip side, Pittsburgh cannot generate supposed to pass
plays because they have no one to go downfield. DK
is okay at that, but it's not really his strong suit.
So I'm on the Colts today. Also worth noting, the
(22:28):
old bartender is on the Steelers, which is like the
oddest thing ever. I don't noo. He picks like favorites.
It's like shocked. He's eight and nine this season, eight
and nine.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
So I like, just for everyone to listen, this is
someone we actually bet against.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
I like the Colts. I think that we've seen enough
to know these are these teams.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Now.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
I know it's the NFL and where things happen, but
it feels like the way it's going betting sides right now,
you still have to throw out like convention wisdom. It's
just not the way it's working in NFL anymore. And
like eventually you just take the stealers at home, like, yo,
you have three three out boys. I'm in right, I can't.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
Be Yeah, this isn't a traditional rivalry, but however, these
two teams have have had some classic matchups throughout the years.
Nobody thought the cult would be seven to more at
this point, they've been led by God, it's hard to
even fathom saying this, but they've really been led by
the offense with Daniel Shones and of course Taylor as
(23:28):
long as he's healthy. But uh, and Jonathan Taylor, they've really.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
People.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
Yeah, these guys are having MVP type seasons through the
first eight games to their offenses really looked unstoppable. Uh.
And that's just like Jeff just said to you. I
always have said that lineman offensive linemen never get enough credit. Now,
the last decade. I guess they've been paid properly, but
(23:55):
up until then, it just feels like offensive linemen where
we've never really looked at it. But now I you
see some contracts where these guys are getting twenty million
a year. But like I said, they looked unstoppable. Bad
news Private Pittsburgh whose defense have been it's been really,
really bad the last couple of weeks. You know, it's
funny last week all three of us had Pittsburgh last week.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
And look good in the first half.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
Crack. I was going to dinner. I went to dinner
and Green Bay missed the field goal, like right before
the half. It was like seventeen to nine or some
kind of seventeen six, so whatever it was. Fourth, I said, oh, wow,
that's great, what a great momentum. Next thing I know
they got they're getting killed in the third court. Like wow,
I couldn't believe it. But Pittsburgh given up sixty eight
(24:40):
points in the last two games and giving up the
most passing yards in the NFL this season so far.
A defense that has given up seven hundred yards and
six touchdowns the last two games to Joe Flacco. I mean,
you know, I give love a little bit of credit,
but God Flacco, the Colts offense is really getting all
(25:01):
the attention. Like you guys poll said, their defense has
been pretty solid too. I guess yeah, they're they're they're nothing.
But you know what are we? Is anyone really a
believer in the Colts? I don't know. Like, let's let's
see what happens in the second half of the season
here they made a lot of losing teams.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
Yeah, it's in the Chiefs. In two weeks, we'll know
more them.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
Let's hear.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Here's the thing I say about like the Colts in
the end, when when when Roger Udell walks in the
field the end of the Super Bowl in Santa Clara
A hands the trophy to the winning quarterback, is that
quarterback Daniel Jones.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
No, no, it's not, it's not.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
I'm not laugh.
Speaker 4 (25:41):
If he if he had a much better defense, maybe
you know, like yeah, but they don't have that.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
No, and we'll no, Morgan, we'll know more than when
they play Kansas City. But I think today they're going
to smoke Pittsburgh. Are you an agreement, Brian with with
my Colts take today?
Speaker 4 (25:53):
I mean, I don't know that they're going to smoke them.
But uh I I totally understand what you're saying right there.
I probably am in agreement. This was a bit of
a stay away from me, But I love how you
broke it down with. It's not good enough just to
look at a trend. You gotta look at why the
trend worked. Yes, and if they can repeat that, do
(26:13):
they still have you know, the system in place or
the you know, the factors in place to be able
to duplicate that success. And the stealers just don't defensively.
This is a crazy stat. By the way, how about this,
so Colt's running back Jonathan Taylor, he scored fourteen touchdowns
this season. Yeah, that is either equal or more than
(26:34):
five NFL teams, right, like the Browns, the Saints, the Raidas,
and the Titans and one other team. How about this
the Falcons like Jonathan Taylor by himself, Yeah, has scored
as many touchdowns as the amount of Falcons Falcons today.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
Unfortunately, I'm just telling you right now, it's gonna happen.
It's gonna be gross. I have to suck it up
and watch that game or watch the Falcons meander throw
the Patriots. But it's gonna happen. Look, I think I
don't if I gave it out last week, but I
did bet Jonathan Taylor to win MVP.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
Yeah, you get there is one right, Yeah, I ticket to.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
Have, which I mean the way CLV goes, who knows.
But I think that I think it has a chance.
I actually did actually last night I hit Nebraska, which
is shocking because I got I got actual CLV. I
was like stunned, actually covered the original. I got seven.
It was four close, four and a half. But I
(27:34):
think Taylor has a better chance on anyone to win
MVP this season because Mahomes is playing really well. But
will will there be Mahomes fatigue? And if the Colts
have the one seed, I mean, if the Colts beat
the Chiefs in Kansas City a couple of weeks, they're
the one seed I mean, and Taylor's going to be
in that conversation. So I'm looking forward to seeing if that,
if that, if that can cash.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
The AFC Championship odds over at ben MGM Chiefs plus
two forty bills plus three seventy. I have the Colts
coming third at plus four fifty and that's it. And
I say that's it. Everything else is like double digits.
So but I still can't I can't see. I can't
I can't bet it. I can't bet the Colts plus
(28:14):
four and I'd rather bet the Chiefs at plus two forty,
which is not really great odds either, but then then
the Colts plus four fifty and then.
Speaker 4 (28:23):
The super track if you look at it. I don't
want to catch off. But while you're still on this,
how about a team like the Broncos six and two
double digit odds?
Speaker 2 (28:31):
Huh yeah, yeah there ten Like, yeah, not buying it.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
I would say the only team if you want have
to make a wager now, is the Ravens the money
that's only ten.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
I mean they are the fourth choice. You're right, but
I don't know. Just off that that Miami.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Game, Well, I'm saying, just like, if you wanted to
find a team with a tad bit of value right
now that it will be bolted now, you should have
done that last week, right before they put before Lamar
came back. But it's still that's the only team right now.
I don't think they're winning. I think it's the Chiefs
and the Bills and get they'll still see each other
in whoever wins today, they they'll see whoevery win's that
game today.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
Bryan, you up a good point with the Broncos, though,
because I know that this this town in Las Vegas,
sports books they are they one team they don't want
involved in playoffs. Is even is the Broncos. They have
so much risk people love. The people bet the Broncos
this year. So it's one of the big bets that
they made, you know, Bat I'm talking about they bet
they bet this team back in June, July, August in
(29:27):
future wise. So uh, but I learned something last night
when I seen the Dodgers win the World Series. You
figure a favorite like that such low odds. I just
thought to myself, Wow, I can't believe that these sports
books have this much of a risk on a favorite. Right,
they couldn't get off, They couldn't dangle the carrot low
(29:49):
enough for Toronto that they actually were rooting for Toronto. Uh.
For that kind of figures, I'm interested to ask we're
having Christian on today? Yeah right, yep, yeah, I like
to ask him what or one of you guys or
me whatever, I like to know what their position was
In the end. I can't see them saying they lost money.
But then again, if it's a representation of the two
(30:09):
different bookmakers I know in this town that run the
big sports books, they lost money. So we'll see.
Speaker 4 (30:14):
All right, Yeah, we'll do that next hour, Krack, We'll
talk to Christian Zippolini from bet MGM coming up next.
How will this team look today without its best player? First? Oh,
Dan Byer filling in for I Low. He's our best
player today. What's going on? Dan Byer?
Speaker 5 (30:28):
Mornin Fellas speaking of the World Series. Yeah, Dodgers winners
last nine and eleven innings, topicing the Blue Jays five
to four for their third title in six years, ninth
in franchise history, and of course back to back. We
know Clayton Kershaw's not coming back from the dog for
the Dodgers next season. However, Max Sers or the Blue
Jays last night's Game seven starter, told reporters that he
does plan to pitch in twenty twenty six, which would
(30:51):
be his nineteenth season. You guys talking about the Bills
trade deadline comes up on Tuesday in the NFL Network
says they could be looking for line defensive line help
because ed Oliver tores triceps last week against the Carolina
Panthers bicepsingery.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
Excuse me.
Speaker 5 (31:07):
He's done for the regular season, with hopes that possibly
he could play in the postseason. Another name that's been
out there around the trade deadline coming up on Tuesday
as Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed. He's going to play
today against the Rams, as will Saints running back Alvin Kamara.
Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco expected to start against the Bears.
He was questionable all week with his shoulder injury. Seahawks
wide receiver Cooper Cup popped up on the injury report,
(31:29):
not likely to play tonight against the Commanders. Well, the
Vikings are expected to have both offensive tackles Brian O'Neil
and Christian derisof for today's game in Detroit. That's according
to ESPN. And one final note with the trade deadline,
Brian's Dolphins could be making some moves, but it doesn't
sound like Jalen Waddle is going to be on the move.
Multiple reports say that the Dolphins are unlikely to trade him,
(31:52):
ESPN even saying as much. The Dolphins won a first
round pick if they were to deal Waddle. Guys, back
to you.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
Thank you, Thank you, Dan, Dolphins. Yeah yeah, give us
three ones for what you know?
Speaker 3 (32:03):
Like that? Good luck?
Speaker 2 (32:05):
Yeah? Uh.
Speaker 4 (32:06):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by

(32:27):
like Dolphins are hoping for a first round pick for
Jalen Waddle and then the next line is they're not
expected to trade him whatsoever. But we'll get to all
the trade deadline stuff in the final hour. Looking forward
to that. Lots ins and outs with that. How about
Broncos at the Texans today? This line is adjusted, has
moved up and down a little bit. Right now, Denver
(32:48):
is a two point dog on the road. It's Houston
minus two at home. And I mentioned how will the
Broncos look without their best player? No, Patrick Sertan, he's
on ion, he's got a peck injury. And so you
look at this Broncos team, they play a lot of
man coverage sixty percent, that's a ton and they don't
have the best cover corner in the league. That's a
(33:10):
big deal. And if you look at the Texans, they
get Collins back, they get Christian Kirk back, so you
get Nico and Christian. That's a big deal. Going up
against this Broncos defense that is still nasty, but no
Certan that is a huge deal.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
So this is an interesting game because it's sort of
like what do we believe?
Speaker 2 (33:28):
Right?
Speaker 3 (33:28):
Like, the Texans offense came alive last week for the
first time against a good team, but the Niners aren't
really good on defense right right, Bosa's out, Fred Warner
is out, and we're sort of waiting for that shoot
to drop and it did last week. The Broncos defenses
they might have not Officer Tan, but they got Benido
and Alan. They still rush the pass it right, So
are we going to see a clean blocking game for
(33:51):
TJ's Strode He wasn't barely hit last week. I don't know, Brian,
and if he gets hit a bunch like what happened like,
then what happens to this offense? Essentially? Right on the
other side. I just I just don't buy the Broncos.
I just I mean, it was a miracle to beat
the Giants, and then you play a very very bad
(34:11):
Cowboys defense. You're playing them one score defense the NFL
right now. I just don't buy. I just don't buy them.
I really don't. And so I'm sort of curious to
see these two things. I won't have a single cent
on this game. I just I just can't. I can't
do it on a side or total. I think under
would be any that'd be the play more than anything else.
(34:32):
I think it's just a low scoring game. But yeah,
it feels like crack. This is gonna be a very
public side to be on, to be on the on
the Broncos here in this game.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
Yeah, and this line since we went on air, just
moved up a little bit more solid two and a
half everywhere. Yeah, this is one of the ones that
you're right. I think the public is still gonna go
for for Denver and and the books are gonna need
Houston here. Just look at AFC West Denver six and two,
four and zero on a home won five in a row.
(35:04):
It's just you're right. I don't buy it. Either, But
then again, I hate I don't buy the Chargers either.
I just am I just a homing with these Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (35:13):
I uh well, we just we just know what the
Chiefs are cracking, you know.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
So like it's this and they're gonna have to until
anything happens, We're gonna they're gonna have to prove that.
The Chargers and the Broncos, like I said, five and
five five last five games, they started out the season
a little bit slow. Their offense has looked a lot
better these last five quarters or so. But then again,
like Chief said, the defense is I'm talking about the Broncos.
(35:39):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, they you know. But like like
you said, look look who they play, The Giants and
the Cowboys a bad defenses. So I would, But then
again there's the opposite side of that about this game.
Don't be maybe fooled by the Texans ring and four record.
Their defense is one of the best in the league.
Speaker 4 (35:55):
Absolutely, Yeah, their.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
Offense has looked a lot better the past couple of days.
A big question today for them, well can they protect
Stroud versus a good Denver prayer actually a really good
Denver pass rush. So yeah, this should be one of
those grind out type of the games. One of the
lowest totals in the board thirty nine and a half
at MGM. It'll be an interesting game. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:17):
The thing about the Chiefs quickly crack is like they've
been good over the last three years without an offense,
like a reliable offense, and now all of a sudden,
they have an offense that's like, oh boy, here we go.
Like here we go. They've scored. They've scored twenty eight
points or more than five straight weeks. So I think
that's part of it, is like it's like, oh they
everything else is still there. Now their offense is really
good all of a sudden sign up for that.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
So I feel so square, you know, saying that the
Chiefs are probably the best value in the ape, like
it just sounds like, oh no, Kidd and Bill everyone.
But you look at their start. They played Chargers Overseasars,
and then they came out the next did they lose
to the Philadelphia.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
Also Chargers and Eagles to start, and they lost their Jackson.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
And they started out And now now it looks like
it's so easy to pick them. But then again, it's
every given Sunday. I always say anything cannon will happen.
The Chiefs have been, They've been up the par here.
I think the Chiefs of the current team to beat
uh in that league division, even though they are behind,
like I said, they are behind in the AC West.
(37:19):
Broncos six and two, I think the Chiefs share are
the team to beat. And it's like I said, it
sounds so square, but maybe it is.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
But by the way, by the way, super fast here
the Broncos surprisingly number three rushing attack we can run at. JK.
Dobbins have having a good season. Yeah, but you look
at the Texans number five against the rush. So some
of the keeps. Can the Broncos run the ball today? Uh,
that'll be a big factor in the game. All Right,
We've got Bill Krachenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight
(37:49):
year NFL veteran. I'm Brian no coming up next to
Parlay Plattern, which have one selection for you. We pull
it together for a greater payout. I've got my eye
on a prop bet, so we'll do that. Coming up next,
it is Fox Sports Radios Campdown to Kickoff, presented by
bet MGM.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Check this out our late latter.
Speaker 4 (38:35):
All right, it is time for the flatter. We each
have one selection for you. We pull it together for
a greater payout.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Crack.
Speaker 4 (38:41):
We start with you. What's something you like?
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Man, let's go with the count Why not Kansas City
Chiefs money line minus a dollar thirty at bet MGM.
That's my first portion of the platter. There a rare
NFL side Kansas City chief All right.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
We don't talk about this beforehand. This is two weeks
in a row about I was gonna say Chiefs, but
it's okay.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
I don't need to have.
Speaker 3 (39:02):
Chiefs, not Crack. It's been where We're plenty other choice
on the board. So this is I'm gonna make this
pick because I stink right now in the NFL, and
people I like, people I don't like are on sort
of like the opposites here that the people that I
think are sharp and they win wagers. They're in Atlanta
(39:25):
plus five. The people that I think don't know what
they're talking about, which could be me this year fair
Let's also mean on New England and like this feels
like they just a spot to take the gross side
in the Falcons right like they're they're just got embarrassed.
Penex is backed. Drake London is back. The Paper's the
best team of all time. Drake may is the third
(39:47):
best MVP odds. Hold my nose, give me the Falcons
plus five. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it,
and give Falcons plus five.
Speaker 2 (39:56):
Let's go.
Speaker 4 (39:57):
And one thing that helps your argument strength of victory.
The Patriots are the second worst. Right, They've beaten a
bunch of bum teams, mainly like the lowest among current
playoff teams. The current playoff teams. Bills are number one
in bum wins. Patriots are number two in bum wins.
That might help you out today against the you know,
at least the Falcons a little bit better than some
(40:18):
of the teams that they've beaten. I'm gonna go with
Travis Etn. Give me the Jaguars running back over fifty
four and a half rushing yards. Formula is simple. Here
their head coach Lean Cohen, he's talking about, we got
to run the ball. If you look at the last
two weeks, they've thrown it ninety times and they've only
rushed it thirty eight times. And he talked about this week,
(40:39):
He's like, I need to call more runs. So against
the Raiders today, I expect Etn to be involved in
that offense quite a bit. So I look for runs
early often, especially if they have a lead, maybe a
comfortable lead, even more Etn. So I think the formula
is there, give me Etn. The payout is plus five
forty five right there? Pretty good? All right? Coming up next,
(41:01):
it's a bad sign for this team. We'll tell you
about it, dude. All oh, what is going on? Happy
Week nine to you as we get you all set
for a full day of NFL Action. World Series was
off the charts last night, some great college football games yesterday.
(41:22):
We hope to just ride the wave of momentum into
the NFL here Week nine. How about this. I think
it's a bad sign for a particular team that their
main guy is back. That would be the Minnesota Vikings.
So the Vikings are on the road at the Lions.
Lions are favored by nine and a half now and
JJ McCarthy is back, and no one seems excited whatsoever.
(41:42):
And I get it, like seven of the eight quarters
he's played this year were not good, but the team
was not exactly hitting its peak, hitting its stride with
Carson Wentz. And now JJ McCarthy is back, and I
don't know, is it just me you hear any excitement
from Viking fans? Is it just like, all right, Jay
Jay's back, Let's see what they can do. It's like,
you know, like he was only completing a fifty eight
(42:05):
point five percent of his passes. His passer rating was
sixty seven point two. That's lower than cam Ward and
Jake Browning. Now there's only two games, very small sample size,
but that's what we saw from JJ McCarthy. Uh, the
last time he was playing in the NFL, he got
hurt in the Falcons game. We haven't seen him since.
So now you're trying to match points with Jared Goff.
(42:28):
That running game, all the weapons that they have. Offensively, yay, Yeah,
not the easiest task there, but hey man, that Lion's
secondary is still banged up. It is gettable, especially with
the weapons that the Vikings have. But uh manh JJ,
McCarthy's gonna have to play a whole lot better than
he did those first two games for them to go anywhere.
Speaker 3 (42:48):
Jared Goff is eight and l against the spread as
the Lion's quarterbacks the Vikings eight. No, he owns this team. Yeah,
and you know, I don't know again that's gonna the
reason why you've been the Lions of this game. But
I think that you look at the way they sort
of slow played McCarthy and feels like they haven't wanted
to play him now they have to, and you don't
(43:12):
hear normally, you get like a he's back and right
a role and like people, you don't brt to your
point like nothing right, yeah, whatsoever? Yeah, And that that
sort of shows you like they're only they're excited for him.
I think the team feels that they're not ready to
you just they's not gonna be as good with him
in the game. And you look at you know, the
(43:32):
Lions defensively, let's start there right. Obviously, very inspired effort
against Tampa Bay, and now they get a bunch of
guys back in the secondary, like it's it's gonna be
a better defense moving forward. The Vikings do have offensive
linemen back today, which is super important for them. But
this crack, this feels like this can get pretty bad
(43:54):
pretty quickly for the Vikings today. Remember defense, guys, is
much easier to play defense when your offense gives you
a little bit of juice as well. Offensively, we can
always score points, right, that's our job. It's it's harder
to in my opinion, it's harder for the defense to
(44:15):
get no support than the offense. And if they can't
score points today, there's gonna be a lot of difficulty
for that defense.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
Yeah, the Vikings are the biggest dog they've been in
three years. Catching this nine and a half points at
three and four, they desperately need an upset win the
day to get back in the division in the playoff mix.
And when you look at the Vikings this season, you
first think about their problems on offense, but lately it's
been a bad defense that has cost them games too.
Last week to give two hundred and seven yards on
(44:46):
the ground to the Chargers, and they're up against a
terrific Lions offensive line like Gibbs today too. Gibbs have
been the primary back this season, with some help from Montgomery,
but Gibbs has really started to look like one of
them or explosive backs in the NFL, recently Aiden Hutchinson
chasing after his former teammate in Michigan today McCarthy. Hutchinson
(45:09):
leaves the NFL and forced fumbles this year, thirteen and
a half sacks in his last twelve games. The Vikings
offensive line is gonna have to protect JJ, you know,
more than they did in his first two games. But
it that way when they gave up like nine sacks. So,
but that being said, I know a wise guy crew
that's absolutely winning sports betting syndicate that's on the Vikings
(45:32):
today catching the nine and a half points, I'd be
tempted to actually bet, even though like you said, that
ain't and O that that's a really impressive record. I
don't go by trends over seasons, but I don't like
to go back, you know, so many years. But it's
still a good trend that I have to respect. A
(45:52):
little bit. But yeah, if anything, I can't lay double
desserts on a division I'm just looking at the line
everywhere nine and a half and nine's bet MGM is
at nine and a half. I tell you, if this
every even if this's like plus ten minus fifteen, I'd
be tempted to take Minnesota. To be honest with you,
(46:15):
I'm not laying this kind of would again. I know
that that this team is a big disappointment this year,
even for me Minnesota. I had Minnesota, you know, to
make the playoffs. I had Minnesota. I have some futures
on Minnesota and it's just they really went to pot
most of them. But they need a game like they
(46:36):
would need a big upset win in a game like today.
I don't know if they can get at versus Detroit
in Detroit, but you know, it's a division game. So
if anything, it's a lean to the dog for me here.
Speaker 4 (46:47):
Not used to seeing the Vikings defense look like this.
They've been below average this year. We're used to seeing
them dominate and that's just not what they've looked like
this season. It does show you how everything compliments each other.
Like some of the defensive woes are because the offense
isn't what it normally is. You know, it's normally a
functioning offense, and you got to lead all of a
(47:08):
sudden your opponents and you know, pass situations you can
just pin your ears back, rush them all these exotic,
you know, pressures and simulated pressures. And now Brian Flores
is like, ah, we got you. Now you have bastards.
You know, that's not where they're at right now. So
the offense is impacting the defense, and we've seen them
get carved up the last two games. Justin Herbert got them,
(47:30):
Jalen Hurts got them like big time. To look at
the Eagles passing offense has been rough all season. They
carved up the Minnesota Vikings on the road in Minnesota.
So that defense not normally what we're used to seeing.
And Jeff, you mentioned the Lions secondary. They get Brian
Branch back, right, Remember you had the one game suspension
for the fist the cuffs after the game with Juju
(47:51):
Smith Schuster, so he's back from the one game suspension.
They're expected to get cornerback Terry and Arnold back, which
I don't know if that's good for the Lion Steve
he's been getting roasted routinely, but they are starting to
get healthier and getting some guys back.
Speaker 3 (48:06):
It's probably better than not that he's there. Like, it's
you know what I mean, Like, I think I agree
with you there, but I think you would like your
even if it's just depth, right, like you would like
him to be back. Yeah, this number is getting so
high now that it feels like impossible to take the
lines at this moment.
Speaker 4 (48:26):
Yeah it does. All right, let's shift to another game here, Jeff,
you got your eye on this one, in particular, the
Falcons at the Patriots, and the Patriots are five point favorites.
Now it's fluctuated a little bit.
Speaker 2 (48:37):
This morning.
Speaker 4 (48:38):
Patriots were up to five and a half point favorites,
now back to five. And I love this. What a
compliment the Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Olbrich. He talked about
Patriots quarterback Drake May described him as a younger Josh Allen,
what do you think about that? You buy that?
Speaker 3 (48:57):
I I I just don't like doing these comparisons. I
hate it during draft season two cheez like player comps. Yeah, look,
he's doing a really good job so far this year.
He's getting better every week. The deep throats are good,
Like there's a lot of positive with Drake may Look,
(49:18):
I've been burning the Falcons so many times that, as
I mentioned earlier, like people that are in contests that
are doing well in contests, like they got the Falcons,
I trust those people. I have a problem with the
Falcons because they just screwed me all the time to
the wrong They're like not the team. I just can't
back right. But at some point the Patriots have to
(49:40):
have a game where it's like, oh, okay, that's that
makes sense. Like they keep having these games, You're like
thirty one to ten, You're like, what is happening? Can
blow everyone out all season long and the Falcons just
got embarrassed. But more importantly, you know Cousins Cousins out,
pen X is back and Drake London is there. Like
(50:01):
it's just time for the Falcons, I think, to play
a better game. Again, this is these are not like
great like ways to bet on the games, but it
just feels like in this spot, it's time for the
Falcons cracked to play a better game and the Patriots
is a step back a tiny bits.
Speaker 2 (50:23):
I think Brian said earlier today something didn't you say
someone had the fourth fourteen touch I was shocked when
you said that. Yeah, Jonathan, Atlanta doesn't even have as
many as tailor what right?
Speaker 3 (50:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (50:34):
Wow, Jesus Jonathan Taylor himself has scored as many touchdowns
as the Falcons have as a team.
Speaker 2 (50:41):
That's unbelievable. Unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (50:43):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (50:44):
The Patriots coming to this game is one of the
let's call it, one of the hottest teams in the NFL,
winning five straight. Uh. Drake may really playing a ton
with a ton of confidence lately, and he's become one
of the best deep ball throwers in the NFL. You know,
he's almost all forgotten about it. I've seen a ste
on that was like wow. According to NFL next Gen Stats,
he's completed thirteen of seventeen passes that has traveled twenty
(51:08):
yards or more in the air. That's gonna be tested today, though.
He goes against a Falcons d that surprisingly rated number
one against the pass this year. So Atlanta is only
giving up a league low one hundred and forty nine
passing yards a game, which might shock some people. Since
they're three and four, they get Pennix back today quarterback,
They're gonna need Robinson to have a big game though,
(51:28):
if they want to knock off the Patriots today. Robinson
only had twenty five yards last week and a terrible
loss to the Dolphins, and we'll have his work cutout
for him. I just was thinking about the Dolphins this week,
how terrible they were yet, but yet they knocked everyone,
and they knocked tons of people out of our survivor
pools because people had Atlanta. Atlanta was a seven and
(51:50):
a half point favorite, and the Dolphins, like what they
went by like twenty five. They killed him yea brus amazing. Yeah.
So anyway, they're, like I said, they're gonna that were
cut out from against the Patriots. Run defense too, only
gives up seventy six yards on the ground. Which Falcons
team will will show up today? The one that lost
(52:10):
to the Panthers by the way thirty to nothing, you know,
and the Dophins by twenty it was like twenty four
or something like twenty four. Yeah, sure, or the one
that dominated the Vikings and be ready for this one.
The Bills.
Speaker 4 (52:22):
Bills beat the Bills, Yeah, beat the Bills. Wow, wow,
I know it pretty crazy. It's funny, crag, You're talking
about the Falcons past defense, they've been really really good.
How about this. The only quarterback to throw for over
two hundred yards against this Falcons defense this season Ta
Tongua Vailoa last week. That's the only two hundred, not
(52:45):
like three hundred, not three two hundred yards.
Speaker 2 (52:47):
That's the think I've been under and still won that.
I think. Yeah, we've been there.
Speaker 4 (52:51):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think you might.
Speaker 2 (52:53):
You might.
Speaker 4 (52:53):
The hook might have saved you.
Speaker 3 (52:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (52:54):
I think it was two five and a half.
Speaker 2 (52:56):
That's right, Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 4 (52:58):
That's awesome. Also, one other thing to think about in
this game, strength versus strength. If you look at the
Patriots rush defense, really good number two in the NFL. Obviously,
the Falcons have a good rushing attack Bjon Robinson. That
was the I think that was the craziest part of
last week. The Dolphins can't stop the run at all
and they shut down Bijon Robinson. To your point, Jeff,
(53:21):
having Drake London back, having Pennix Junior back, that helps
a ton. That should open up the running game a
lot more so. That's a good one. Very interested about
this one. I think this is one of the best
matchups of the day. I'm very excited about Falcons Patriots.
Not exactly, you know, not on the marquee. We got
Chiefs Bills there. But you know that's a good warm
up band, the Falcons in Patriots.
Speaker 2 (53:42):
I like it.
Speaker 4 (53:43):
Solid game.
Speaker 3 (53:44):
Uh, it's gonna be one that I again, I the
Falcons are the right side, but I'm gonna hate. I'm
gonna hate watching it.
Speaker 4 (53:50):
Yeah, and you might hate yourself while watching it, but
it might be not being the right side. I'll tell
you one last thing. How about this Remandre Stevenson, Patriots
running back. He's out with a toe injury and Trayvon
Henderson is in there every week. I really like Trayvon Henderson,
and every week I watched the Patriots and I'm like,
why aren't they getting him in the mix more? Stevenson
(54:13):
He's got a team high sixty two percent of offensive snaps,
so he's not in there at all today. So we'll
see about the workload for Trayvon Henderson if they can
get him going. Got a lot of talent, he just
hadn't gotten a whole lot of opportunities this season yet.
But they've got no other choice but to play him today.
Speaker 3 (54:30):
So with Stevenson being out the world of less fumbles
as we assume hopefully.
Speaker 4 (54:36):
Yeah, well maybe you hope it is more. You would
hope it's more because you're on the falcons.
Speaker 3 (54:42):
I need lots of fumbles. Yes, I've heard about that.
Speaker 4 (54:44):
Yeah, lots of fumbles, a lot of poor pass blocking,
the whole thing.
Speaker 3 (54:48):
You know, take it up.
Speaker 4 (54:50):
I need it all, no doubt. All right, We've got

(56:17):
We want to welcome in our good friend, Christian Sippolini,
BETMGM Senior Trading Manager. Good morning to you, Christian Hope.
All is well, let's start with the World Series last night.
Huh epic Game seven, Dodgers pull it out? What type
of swing? Can you break it down for us? What
type of swing occurred? Right there? Looked like the blue
Jays were gonna win, didn't work out, goes the extras,
(56:39):
Dodgers win it in dramatic fashion. What type of swing
did that mean for your you guys at BETMGM.
Speaker 6 (56:46):
Yeah, that's kind to be one of the greatest games
of all time. That was very entertaining to watch from
a sportsbook perspective, though, we were kind of all back
and forth. We were really hoping the Blue Jays would
have won it in six if they will, but then
going to seven started kind of messing with things for
us in that game. Uh, in the game seven specific game,
(57:08):
it was a ton of Dodgers action. Uh, So we
weren't rooting for him there.
Speaker 3 (57:11):
But on the future's.
Speaker 6 (57:12):
Book perspective, uh, we had a little bit of Blue
Jay's liability, so we were kind of mixed.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (57:18):
We actually had ended up coming out as a loser
on it that game seven. So that's how the way
it goes sometimes.
Speaker 3 (57:26):
I'm curious about the MVP market for the World Series.
So you know, your Moto was not the favorite heading
into this game. I don't believe obviously. You know, as
the game went on and he came in the game,
the number got shorter and shorter. And shorter. What'd you
see from from that perspective, We're people trying to life
wager him as soon as he entered the game, and
and how do you make it on that market?
Speaker 2 (57:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (57:49):
That one.
Speaker 6 (57:50):
Yeah, he was not the favorite going into it. We
actually had some liability on him. You know, there was
a couple talks of how how could he get there?
And if he did come in, so obviously once he did,
his odds shrunk. I believe we actually pulled it down
right around when he was coming in, as I was
getting into the extra endings portion of it. So we
ended up losing on that. There was a bunch of
(58:11):
people who end up taking on me. You know, at
one point he was one hundred and fifty to one,
you know before this was you know, a few series back.
Speaker 2 (58:18):
But but so.
Speaker 6 (58:20):
Some people got him at a great number.
Speaker 2 (58:21):
Yeah, Christian, all three of us are pretty excited about
that World Series game. So we're all asking World Series questions.
I was talking to a bookmaker in town, a big, big,
big book maker actually, that they needed Toronto last night
because they were open to about half a million in
liability on the Dodgers. So did I hear you right? Right? When?
(58:43):
When Brian asked you, were you saying that either way
you had Toronto liability or Dodgers, you were going to
lose either way on that game last week, on your
last night, I mean on the futures book once.
Speaker 6 (58:55):
Once we started taking Dodgers bets on Game seven. Yeah,
that's when it started to slip for us. If Game six,
Toronto would have won it, we would have been okay
our liability from a future's book because the Dodgers were
so short all year, we didn't have a ton of
them on the futures book. But then everybody piled on
on Game seven. So that was where it ended up
(59:16):
flipping for us. You know, if we would have ended
up taking more Blue Jays money, you know, maybe if
we would have got a big bet or something, that
maybe would have helped us a little bit more. But
that was how it ended up. It was more of
the Game seven bets in general.
Speaker 2 (59:29):
Now, before the World Series, you guys had one of
the best prices on the Dodgers money line. So, like
I said that to you, I think a couple of
weeks ago or even last week, the Dodgers was minus
two twenty when in town there was you know, in
Las Vegas. There was actually plus two thirties, so it
was actually a scalp that I actually seen. And I
(59:53):
made a pretty large bet with bet MGM on the Dodgers,
and I was I was actually kept it out there
where I rooted for the Dodgers. I have more money
on the Dodgers there. So, uh, I guess, uh. Are
you happy that baseball season is over? Off the football
and that and now college basketball tomorrow? Or is this
one of your times of the year that you look
forward to?
Speaker 6 (01:00:12):
You know, It's funny in the middle of the summer,
I will sit there and I'll be dying for this,
and then once it gets here, I'm like, God, it's
too much all at once.
Speaker 3 (01:00:20):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (01:00:20):
You know, I love college basketball. I love it coming back.
It's sad that the World Series is over, but this
is definitely our most busy time of year. Everything's very hectic,
and we have college basketball games where nobody knows what
the spread is, nobody knows who the teams are, as
move like crazy, so uh, it's exciting. The days go
by faster this time here than the summer, that's for sure.
Speaker 4 (01:00:42):
How about a week nine over here, Christian if you
uh we got to keep the lights on here at
bet MGM the World Series, right, Like, what do you
need today? What would be say, like your top two needs.
Speaker 6 (01:00:55):
Yeah, we've got a few lopsided games today. I think
one of our biggest needs for or is going to
be the Vikings against the Lions. That line coming in
a little bit now, but we have about eighty five
to ninety percent of our action so far on the Lions.
Not writing very many bets on the Vikings, so if
they could pull through, that'd be great. Chargers Titans is
(01:01:15):
another one where we have about eighty five to ninety
percent of the money on one side. Obviously that'd be
the Chargers in this case. And then the third game
is the biggest spread of the day, Rams Saints sitting
at about fourteen same thing. We have about eighty five
percent of our money coming on the Rams. Not a
lot of people want to take the Saints. So realistically,
one of those three would be great. Two of those
(01:01:36):
three is probably a fantastic day for the book. But yeah,
just getting one would really help.
Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
Curious about just the Chiefs game in general. You know,
this game has been one of the bills of one
four years around the regular season, Bobs, the Chiefs are
playing really well right now. Where you seeing the money
on this one?
Speaker 6 (01:01:54):
Yeah, this is right now. We're pretty close to fifty
to fifty, which is kind of what I'll think that
I'll go through the day. You know, we might end
up getting a little bit of lean on one side
or the other, but I wouldn't expect we get more
than you know, sixty percent on one side, just the
way these two teams are playing. And we do project
this to be the most bet you know, non primetime
(01:02:14):
game likely of the whole season.
Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
And you know, these these night games for tonight and tomorrow, boy,
I mean, I just wish Buffalo in Kansas City was primetime.
Yeah right, Seattle, Washington, Arizona, Dallas. I would think it
would be some of the slowest of the primetime Sunday
Monday night games this year. But I'm sure no one's
betting these games right now compared to, like you said,
(01:02:40):
the Buffalo Kansas City game. Now, personally, since Jeff brought
off that brought up that game from a standpoint of
you and the sportsbook, would you rather have the Buffalo
Kansas City fifty to fifty action? Making the juice or
would you be like probably a lot of my friend
bookmakers that yeah, go ahead, keep on piling on Detroit,
keep on piling on the Chargers and the Rams. Would
(01:03:02):
you rather have well, eighty five ninety percent ridiculous, But
would you rather have a nice side on each game?
Or would you rather keep it just making a little profit.
Speaker 6 (01:03:13):
I'm usually more pro just you know, if we can
games where we get fifty to fifty is a little
bit less stressful.
Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
Sure, us we have.
Speaker 6 (01:03:22):
Games, it's usually a bad team that we have to
sit there and for so it's usually easier on me
if we can get it closer to fifty to fifty.
You know that Chiefs Bills game. Uh, while it's not
in primetime, there's a Jags Raiders game in a Rams
Saints game, so it's it's going to be the most
bet on and most watched in that window for sure.
So I can just go and enjoy it. I'd like that.
Speaker 4 (01:03:45):
But by the way, real fast, Christian, just a fast
bonus question for you, because you're rooting for the ugly
teams almost all the time. Who's the ugliest of the
ugly teams? We're like, oh my gosh, we got a
root for the Titans again, Like who would be at
the top of your list right now?
Speaker 6 (01:04:02):
That's the answer them right now is the Titans because
they really haven't done us a ton of favors this
season either. You know, they haven't kind of covered at
a high rate, and they have taken almost no bets
this entire season, at least to Saints about a couple
of times where they've showed a little bit of flashes.
But you know it'd be between those two. But I'm
(01:04:22):
definitely leaning the.
Speaker 4 (01:04:23):
Titans this year absolutely, all right, makes sense. Christian, well
enjoyed the ugly dogs. You know they might be barking
this week. Yep, we'll see, but have a good week,
died Man. We'll catch it soon, Christian.
Speaker 6 (01:04:34):
Yeah, good luck everybody. Thanks for having me.
Speaker 4 (01:04:36):
Thank you. Christian. There is Christian Cippolini, bet MGM Senior
Trading Manager. Hey, we go from heavy hitter to heavy hitter,
from Sipolini to buyer. That is right, Dan Byer in
today for I Loo. What's going on?
Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
Dan?
Speaker 4 (01:04:48):
Thank you? Dan Byer. It is Fox Sports Radio is
Campdown to kick Off, presented by bet MGM. Throughout the
entire football season, bet MGM will offer all different types
of no sweat tokens and odds boost tokens. Be on
the look out for no sweat same game parlay tokens,
parlay boost tokens, and so much more. Appreciate the shout
out from Dan Byer there with Bob Trumpy man that
(01:05:10):
takes us back right, Like I can remember so many
sun days where it's like Don Kricky and Bob Trumpy
and you know, like, yeah, the baritone, you know, Bob Trumpy,
voys of man. I've watched so many games with Bob
Trumpy on the call.
Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
But definitely yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:05:25):
Sad, absolutely sad. You know, thoughts and prayers do his family,
his loved ones. You know, it's I don't know, I
don't want to get too deep with it, but a
lot of times we think about these people as just
their profession, you know what I mean. Like I think
Bob Trumpy as a broadcaster first and foremost other people
think of him as a football player. But he's a guy, Like,
he's a human being. He had family, he had loved ones,
(01:05:47):
and he passed away. So it's sad, but great life
did a lot while he was here, you know, That's
all we can expect.
Speaker 2 (01:05:54):
To do.
Speaker 4 (01:05:55):
So how about this, Let's move it to the Niners
at the Giants forty nine ers favored by two and
a half on the road. Here, I mean, the first
part of this is what did the Giants look like offensively?
No Molik neighbors now know Cam Skataboo as he went
down with a gruesome injury last week, dislocated ankle and
fractured tibia. And you look at the forty nine ers,
(01:06:18):
believe it or not, they have a top ten scoring defense.
You know, no Fred Warner, no Nick Bosa, they're missing
their they're big guns right there. But still they've held
up relatively well even in spite of losing those guys.
Speaker 3 (01:06:33):
Yeah, you know, I'm the Giants. To me, it's a
pretty fascinating spot because I think Cam Scataboo was their
emotional engine. Yeah, and she's got hurt last week, that
wager was dead. I mean, the Giants were in that game,
seven point game. He gets hurt and then they're not
in the game anymore. And that was the end of
(01:06:54):
the game. And I wonder today, as you mentioned out,
neighbors without really great white why why not they became
a scataboo team, right, like they relied on his on
him and without him in the lineup.
Speaker 4 (01:07:08):
I don't know, Crack.
Speaker 3 (01:07:09):
I don't feel great about the Giants in this spot.
They don't play as well at home historically in this stadium.
Jackson Dark no surprise, is sort of getting a little
bit worse every weekend. There's more film on him, which
is nothing against him, that's just the way the NFL is.
So he's not been as good the Niners defensively, you know,
Brian mentioned it. Their numbers are good, even though they're
(01:07:30):
turning maybe the wrong direction with all their injuries. But
I'm okay with them at the moment. Mac Jones playing today,
not Rock Party. I would I would lean nins or
nothing here. I don't feel great about it, but I
would lean or maybe a Giants team total under or
something like that. I just don't know where the Giants
are emotionally right now. They kind of concerns me.
Speaker 2 (01:07:49):
Yeah, after that, I don't know if it was a
Thursday night game, it was a primetime game with the Eagles.
Speaker 3 (01:07:55):
Yeah, two three Thursdays ago something like that.
Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
Yeah, they looked so good. They dominated the Eagles that
game and doubled them up thirty four. I think it
was thirty four to seventeen if I remember right. But
they really look so good that game. Now they're on
life support two and six after losing two straight. You know,
like you said that, ma'am scataboo. He joins Neighbors now
(01:08:19):
on the injury for the rest of the season. Oh
my god. That is such a blow to their offense
and their team. It looks like Sam fram will go
another game without brock perty and mac jones magic seems
to be finally wearing off. But it's not totally his fault.
The offensive line has not been able to protect him
or give him any time in the pocket. I've seen
(01:08:40):
that breaking down the last couple of weeks. He's been
sacked fourteen times this season. The Giant strength is their
defensive line and the ability to pressure the quarterback, so
Jones should be on the run today as well. I'm
expecting an ugly game over there today. It just seems
like the forty nine ers have been winning those close
ones though Giants been losing the close ones. Like you said,
(01:09:01):
but I think it's a it's an ugly game.
Speaker 4 (01:09:04):
Seemed like a high total to you crack.
Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
Right where it does seem like a high total. Yeah,
it does, you know they all do. Though you know
what happened last week, all those overs came out. The
books got hurt last week on.
Speaker 3 (01:09:17):
Twenty favorites and overs, Favorite and overs twenty one three
and two, twenty.
Speaker 2 (01:09:22):
One three and two, no matter, even though it was
a big upset. There was a big upset Cincinnati Falcons.
Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
There were two upsets.
Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
There were two upsets and.
Speaker 3 (01:09:30):
Both teams went out right Cincinnati Jets one, and that.
Speaker 2 (01:09:33):
Would helped the books. But trust me, twenty any week
you have twenty one and three to favorite and overs. Boy,
you know that's not good. So what happens at tax
gets put on in the way of points this week?
If you look at these lines, Brian just pointed it out. Great,
great point, Brian. You look at all these games though,
amazing that and they still keep getting bet up. I'm
(01:09:54):
looking at the Buffalo Kansas City game. I mean, this
game's just turned just went to fifty three out here
is open to fifty and a half or even fifties.
But Brian's right, this game opened forty five and a half.
This giant game, what does it forty eight and a half?
I mean it seems like a lot of points. Brian,
you could be right. This could be an under for
(01:10:14):
me if I look at it any further. I really
don't like the bet games day of the game unless
I find an extra half a point or two because
of the square public money. But yeah, I mean every
look at Pittsburgh, Indy. Forty seven and a half. It's
up to fifty two at a couple books. Wow, yeah, yeah, Pittsburgh, Indy. Yeah,
fifty one and a half over minus twenty. That's three
(01:10:36):
different books fifty two. I mean, I don't know is
they're really looking at at this India offense. I guess
it's scoring, you know, four touchdowns, I mean maybe five.
I don't know that that's a really high total too. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:10:49):
I like the Niners, listen. I like their passing game,
but the Giants have a really good pass rush, so
it might be a little bit more quicker, shorter throws
from the Niners today. The Niners run game is not good.
They've had one good game against the Falcons. That's pretty
much it for the running game all season long. And
what are the Giants gonna do? I know this is
a banged up Niners defense, but without molik neighbors with
(01:11:11):
no scataboo? Are the giants just lighting it up? I
don't that's forty eight and a half pretty high for
a game like this, big number.
Speaker 3 (01:11:17):
Yeah, it feels way too high. But yeah, I mean,
you know again, round Robin, the unders, the sweet crack question,
do that.
Speaker 2 (01:11:30):
Trying to bury the book maker?
Speaker 3 (01:11:33):
Just see how it goes today. I mean, it's kind
of funny. I actually don't think that's a bad idea,
but I'm not I probably won't do it, but uh
is round robbing him by? I don't know fours. Just
see what happens. I want a little spicy day crack.
Speaker 2 (01:11:47):
Yeah, and listen. But by the way, what he's saying
is for people that don't know, because it's kind of uh,
I have a terrible problem. I'm not putting things in
Layman's term. People are hearing round robins are like, what
does that mean? Something to do with birch. No, it's
actually a parlay where you're making a series of parlays
into one. So if you go instead of just a
four team or a fourteen parlay, you can go a
(01:12:10):
three team parlay and pick four teams and have different
combinations of three, four different combinations of three. However, I'll
just say this, don't do it. Don't do it.
Speaker 3 (01:12:23):
I'm not doing it. No, it just crossed my mind.
Speaker 2 (01:12:27):
You know, let me be. I know everyone loves parlays,
they see it on social media. I'll say it again,
though I have waived the white flag, the white towel.
If you bet, let's take about a hundred dollars a game.
I have no problem what you're putting in a five
dollars eight dollars parlay, maybe ten to have some fun
with it. But don't get used to parlays, because that's
(01:12:48):
how sportsbooks make a lot of their money. But I
have no problem with you betting. You know, ten percent
of your bankroll of what you do on a regular
straight bet ten percent of that on a parlay. And
I know sometimes listen, I have a doctor friend in town.
He sent me his ticket. I cannot believe he even
bets something like this. He bet a seventeen. I know
(01:13:10):
you can put seventeen teams in seventeen teams. And he
was fifteen and oh going into the going into the
sixteenth and seventeenth game, and uh, you know where that went.
But he was like, oh, I have the night game.
I should I should see if I can hedge a little,
And I said, Doc, definitely do something. Doc, you got
(01:13:31):
and it's a real small parlor. Ten bucks, but it
was to win a lot of money. I have a
copy on my phone. Uh, it's a sick parlor. I'm
going to send it to you guys in the chat
just to see. Look at that. I can't even believe
someone takes that. It was to win a lot of money.
And of course I said, Doc, you got a head
jump in and I can't tell him not to bet
parlays because you know, next thing I know, I'll go
in there and I'll wind up with a broken kneecap,
(01:13:51):
so I gotta fire away.
Speaker 4 (01:13:53):
It was diagnosed from that point on real fast crack.
Same advice for round robbins, Like, okay, let's say you
typically bet a hundred bucks. You say, don't bet any
more than ten bucks on a parlay for a round robin.
Speaker 2 (01:14:06):
Would round robin? Then go like if you want to
do that and that fun, go go like five.
Speaker 4 (01:14:12):
I love that, But same thing, don't don't exceed playing
five bucks.
Speaker 2 (01:14:16):
Away or something three dollars away. Listen, I'm not gonna
say I don't bet.
Speaker 4 (01:14:21):
Think that's the lesson here.
Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
College basketball is starting tomorrow. Let me just tell you
I don't ever recommend anyone to bet any kind of
parlays in round robins. But I want to tell you something,
mister Krackenberger. Here, I bet overnight round robins at sports
books and they hate it. Now. The reason why is,
I'll bet you know, you know something like, I'll look
up tomorrow's basketball card real quick. I'll bet like Murray
(01:14:43):
State minus four, Drake minus nine, and Georgia State plus
three and a half. I know all three of those lines.
The next day i'll have CLV on. So what that
means is that parlay slash round robin that's in my favor.
I've been thrown out of sports book because I say
thrown out. They say, crack, no more round robbins for you,
(01:15:05):
no more overnight bets. If you know which way the
line's going, absolutely a parlay or a round robin. Boy
or bookmakers, including our sponsors, not gonna like this. It's
it's it's a way for me to circumvent limits.
Speaker 3 (01:15:19):
I'm betting more said you just said bet parlays. I'm
sure they're happy with us. Crack It's okay, that's right.
Speaker 4 (01:15:24):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
Yeah, yeah. But if you think, if you know, if
you think, uh, and you're right more than fifty percent
of the time, that parlay is going to be in
your favor. If you're betting something you think is gonna
move half of points on each game, absolutely it will be.
But again for Joe Public out there, straight bets lay
eleven to ten.
Speaker 4 (01:15:44):
Yeah, there you go. Good stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:15:46):
All right.
Speaker 4 (01:15:46):
That's Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight year
NFL veteran. I'm Brian No coming up next. Prop it up.
We'll look the prop betting market, compare notes. We'll each
have a pick for you. It is Fox Sports Radios

let's do.
Speaker 1 (01:16:31):
This prop it up player plays.
Speaker 4 (01:16:38):
All right, prop bets galore, crack. We start with you.
What's something you like?
Speaker 2 (01:16:42):
I have too many, but let's let's go with Kelsey
under his receiving yards at bet BETMGM forty three and
a half. Rice is back for Casey and Buffalo really
good against tight end. So under Kelsey on his passing
yards today.
Speaker 3 (01:16:58):
All right, So I have two I really liked, but
one is like I can't even give out it would's
Josh Allen over seven a half rush attempts. It's minus one.
Speaker 4 (01:17:07):
Seventy five right now, Wow, really it.
Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
Was minus one oh five when I got it. This week.
Allen has rushed at least ten times in the four
straight Bills wins against Kansas City in the regular season.
They they have to do it in this game, like
it becomes part of their identity when they play Kansas
City the Chiefs. Also, the way they rush the passer
leaves them susceptible to a lot of quarterbacks scrambles, and
(01:17:31):
so I like Alan over seven and a half also if
you think they're gonna win the kneel downs right, then the
other and then again count as rushing the other one.
I like. And something that we've played a little bit.
No Crack has played this as well, is the backup
running back in a game that you think is going
to be a blowout. And so I don't want to
(01:17:51):
take up too much time here. I'm pulling them up
right now. You have to go kick the all tab
by the way to get the over unders for these
when you go to the MGM app. But I like,
I like Blake Korham. I can't even see over rushing yards,
not even the same player. Here's right here. I'm sorry, guys,
I'm over rushing yards over thirty two and a half
rushing yards for the Rams backup running back today against
(01:18:12):
the Saints.
Speaker 4 (01:18:12):
Okay, I get it. I smell while you're cooking there. No,
you're good, You're good. I'm gonna go with Panthers wide
receiver Tetaroa McMillan. Give me Ted McMillan over fifty four
and a half receiving yards. Packers defense they've struggled against
outside receivers over the past month. I mean the Panthers
are thirteen point dogs. You know, they could be very
(01:18:34):
well playing from behind, throwing the ball quite a bit.
He's gotten targeted quite a bit this season, So I
look for Teed McMillan to go over fifty four and
a half. That's what I'll give you, all right, coming
up next, simple question who is this game bigger for?
We will compare notes next. Oh, what is going on?
(01:18:56):
Happy week nine to you? We are one hour away
from kickoff here eight early games, very much looking forward
to it. Now this is a late afternoon game, but
it is the game of the week. That would be
the Chiefs at the Bills. And right now the Bills
(01:19:16):
what favored by two points? I'm sorry, the Chiefs on
the road, favored by two points. Yeah, Chiefs are favored.
And a simple question, who's this game bigger four? There's
an obvious answer, right, It's got to be the Bills.
It's a bigger game for the Bills. Like the Bills are.
They're ow to four against the Chiefs in the playoffs.
They're ow to four in playoff road games. So yeah,
(01:19:39):
like Josh Allen and the Bills have had success against
the Chiefs in the regular season, not the case in
the postseason. So not good on the road for the
Bills in the playoffs. Certainly not good against the Chiefs
in the playoffs. But we've seen the Chiefs take their
act on the road. They've won an AFC title game
at Baltimore, They've won a big playoff game at Buffalo.
(01:20:00):
Can do it on the road when the Bills haven't
gotten it done even at home. I don't like their
chances on the road. So this is a huge game
for the Bills. They're not only fighting for, you know,
seating purposes in the AFC, they're fighting for the division.
The Patriots are right there, so I think it's a
bigger game for the Bills here.
Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
So the the reason why it's important for the Bills
is you've won four in the regular season and then
you've lost the ones in the postseason. But you can
always sort of you go into that game with more
confidence than wing you beat them in the regular season, right,
it was a blueprint for that. And do you know
(01:20:40):
why they've won the regular season games the last four years? Like, guess, look,
what's the reason?
Speaker 4 (01:20:46):
You think, Well, Josh Allen, they've been better.
Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
So that that's simple. Look at the DVOA, the EPA,
any numbers you want to use. The Bills have been
better than Canty the last four years. They're not today though,
So what makes this game a little more fun? Which
a better today? They're better in Buffalo as of right now,
they're better on offense five straight weeks to twenty eight
points plus. It's the best use offense has looked since
Tyreek Hill has been on the team. Honestly, now, the
(01:21:11):
Chiefs might be without Trey Smith today. The right guard
who they're without against Washington didn't really matter, and no
Josh Shiman still Jalen Moore struggled early in that game
but figured it out. He was fine. But the Bill's
defensive line is ravaged with injuries.
Speaker 4 (01:21:26):
Yeah, it's like they have some.
Speaker 3 (01:21:27):
Edge rushers, sort of like Bosa is not what he
used to be, but he's still an edge rusher, and
Rousseau's there. But now at Oliver is on injured reserve.
I believe hand is already an injured reserve. You have
a third d tackle injured reserve, and you know, stopping
the run has been a problem for them. The luckily
film the Chiefs don't really care to run the football
and Cheko's not playing today, so we'll see if they
(01:21:50):
try to run the football. Mulano I think is playing
today according to what the reports have been during the week.
Bernard played last week a little bit hurt. But the
Bill's defense is not as good as it's been Offensively,
the Bills just you know, the wide receivers. It's what
Mahomes dealt with the last couple of years. Like why
I ers are fine. They're fine. They're not great, they're fine.
James Coach is really good. We know last week a
(01:22:11):
two over two yards rushing. The Chief's best part of
their defense is the run defense. Like this is a
good matchup for Kansas. They stopped the run pretty well,
and it comes down to Josh Allen do yolo stuff.
I think for them to win this game. I mean, look,
when the Chiefs offense this season is on, it is,
it is on. It's been on. I know Krack keeps
wagering Kelsey unders, but he's been a big beneficiary because
(01:22:34):
now the defense is looking at ray Shee Rice and
looking at Xavier Worthy, looking at and at Hollywood Brown
and then here's oh, here's Hall of Famer tight end
just sort of hanging out and you know, and so
they just sort of have things going in the right
direction right now. And when Kelsey is your third or
fourth option, man, you're in a really good spot, really
(01:22:55):
good spot.
Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
Yeah, A big game this week is we know, this
is the biggest game of the day amongst the NFL heavyweights.
They've had some amazing games the past few years. Josh Allen,
Patrick Mahones tend to match up against each other since
twenty twenty and this could potentially be the af AFC
Championship preview games. So despite the oh and two start,
(01:23:18):
Chiefs has gotten back to five and three. Their offensives
looked really complete since they got Rashiet Rice back and
Mahomes was playing at his MVP level again and like
we said, Kelsey seemed to find the fountain of youth
the last game. The Bills issues are pretty clear, mostly
their run defense. They're they're giving up one hundred and
fifty rushing yards per game, which ranks thirty first. And
(01:23:40):
in the fact that they lost a key player defensive
tackle Ed Oliver, and they'll have their hands full today
even with the Chiefs playing with that Pacheco I read
this yesterday. Chiefs are the only team in the NFL
that has a top five offense and defense, So you
throw out the first two games in the Mahomes era.
I don't know, do you think this is the most
(01:24:00):
complete Chiefs team on both sides of the ball. I mean,
what do you think?
Speaker 3 (01:24:03):
I assume that's scoring defense, right, because that's not analytically
that they're not the number five the top five the
Chiefs are, but.
Speaker 2 (01:24:09):
It would be hard to believe. I don't know why
I read it somewhere.
Speaker 3 (01:24:11):
No, I think scoring. I think scoring they are because
they just played the Raiders and allowed zero points. They
played the Commanders allowed seven points, like they they've you know,
and even Jacksonville, like Jacksonville scored on defense once, you know,
like they just they played on defense. They just can't
rust the passer that well. And if to generate a
lot of those those pressures via blitzing. But then again,
like to tell you, like look Buffalo, like the Chiefs
(01:24:32):
can probably play straight up in second in their secondary
against Buffalo, Like they don't have to really worry about
keeping safeties back. They can pressure and blitz. And I
think that the Josh Allen rush temps angle like Josh
Allen takes off a lot against this defense for good reason.
It's because the Chiefs bring pressure and they don't they're
not always just plating their rush lanes and whatnot. But
I uh, well, have a good game no matter what
(01:24:54):
happens today. But I think the Chiefs for the first
time in five years, are actually better than Buffalo. Heading
to this game, so very curious to see, you know
what this end result is here?
Speaker 2 (01:25:03):
For? What do you watch this one? Jeff? You home?
Speaker 3 (01:25:05):
How about this? So? How about this crack? My wife's
Sunday we have family over and every Sunday, my wife's
cousin comes over and her husband and whatnot. And he's
a Bills fan and he is one of those fans
that like stands next to TV for three hours it
doesn't move. And I love Dave, but he's like, you know,
(01:25:26):
he's like every beholding and they're penalty and like just
like and I just and I'm just like, I'm like,
it's four quarters, man, Like this is it's the end
of like you can't you can't get emotional until the
fourth quarter, like just take It's just the games are
too long. He can't do that.
Speaker 2 (01:25:44):
So is Dave coming over today?
Speaker 3 (01:25:46):
Please tell me no, yeah's coming over.
Speaker 2 (01:25:48):
Yeah, you're gonna kill him.
Speaker 3 (01:25:49):
I think they're coming over there. I think I think
he should be over today. I was told they're coming over.
I don't know why they wouldn't let's have baseball, but I
think baseball right now for their sun is as off.
I think baseball's done for now. So yeah, they'll be
here at one o'clock. I would imagine we'll watch football
and then at four twenty five, will uh throw on?
She will put it? Well, we'll just go big screen
(01:26:10):
like I'll just I'll let date have the screen all
to himself. I'll watch on my iPad maybe after games
aren't great. It's like Ram Saints, who to a games? Right?
Speaker 4 (01:26:20):
So it's not even it's the Jags and Raiders.
Speaker 3 (01:26:23):
Yeah, so well I'm fine with just like red zone
channel my iPad. Whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:26:28):
Brian, what about you? Are you in Vegas? I don't
even know.
Speaker 4 (01:26:31):
Yeah, I'm here right now, but I'll be flying. I'll
be going home h for a few days. And my
birthdays on Tuesday, so I'm birthday, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:26:38):
Birthday, Yeah, we're yeah, it's happened home. You're gonna go
to South, gonna watch an Irish basketball game start the
season off.
Speaker 4 (01:26:45):
Yeah, I haven't thought that far ahead, but yeah, just
being around family for Tuesday and uh yeah I can't. Man,
I'll be in the air for half of this. You know,
chiefs bills kill me. I'm gonna start scratching.
Speaker 2 (01:26:57):
My what airline are you flyines? Legion?
Speaker 3 (01:27:00):
Yeah, I'll give you my I'll give you my uh
my American Airlines internet password. I just pay for the
monthly Internet for itself.
Speaker 4 (01:27:11):
Yeah, we got to get you out of Legion over there.
Speaker 3 (01:27:15):
I'm going to pass on that.
Speaker 2 (01:27:17):
Well, he's got the American NonStop. You have not stop
playing from Charlotte right to New.
Speaker 3 (01:27:21):
York everywhere because I'm a hub. Yeah, I have to
connect like never I never connect.
Speaker 2 (01:27:27):
Its awesome, awesome casino open up there. I saw that.
Speaker 3 (01:27:30):
Yeah, I saw that just too far. I made this point,
like I just uh, I'd rather not lose money and
casino games anymore. I lose enough on on betting, on
on on sports. I'd rather not. Look. Look, good man,
look I was ow and five lives. We get the
(01:27:51):
crack challenge, okay man. At one point, at one point
yesterday on the wages I gave out on college football.
I was oh four and one, so I lost like
ten straight ways. I give it out now. Utah covered
for me late, which is which was helpful, and Nebraska
covered for me late. But like otherwise, like I was,
(01:28:12):
it was a rough go crack a.
Speaker 2 (01:28:14):
So it might be the first losing college football season
for you though you've won everything.
Speaker 3 (01:28:18):
Yeah, I won. I was entering this year. It's fifty
seven percent. I will not I will not be fifteen
percent this year. I just had like weird things happen.
I don't want to like like it's just I had
Illinois team total over if we're gonna get into this
yesterday at thirty over thirty seven a half. They only
had seven offensive possessions in non garbage time. That was it,
Like they just to get a lot. And they scored
(01:28:39):
five touchdowns, thirty five points, missed a field goal, and
threw an interception of a tip ball. I'm like, I
don't sure seven percent, No, me get like ten possessions,
you know, like you get seven because Rutgers had the
ball for forever in that game. And I didn't do
anything wrong. Illinois covered like I did, They cover the
number like they played well, I don't know what else
to do in that situation. I had Washington State minus
(01:29:03):
three and a half. Oh man, that was that was
a crazy Oregon State scored one touchdown. Yeah was dude
who went to Old Miss and lost by three Lostitude
of Virginia scored seven points against like the worst defense
in the country. Okay, sure, but uh, I mean such
as life. I was due for a bad year and
that's happening right now.
Speaker 2 (01:29:23):
Yeah, Brian and I are here in Vegas for Allegian Stadium.
Allegian's a big airline. Sam just said a group text. Uh,
he's right, though, maybe they're just a step above Spirit. However,
they come through on direct flights to some weird places
that you really need.
Speaker 4 (01:29:37):
That's exactly right. That's where I'm going.
Speaker 2 (01:29:39):
I'm going.
Speaker 4 (01:29:39):
I'm going to a weird place, South Bend, not a metropolis,
you know, no connecting flights counts, right, Yes, they come through.
Speaker 3 (01:29:46):
The rapids crap that. It's a great movie called Cedar Rapids.
By the way, if you like, if you the movie, yeah,
is like you wouldn't it's kind of it's it's John's
young John c Riley ed Helms. It's so good.
Speaker 2 (01:30:03):
Oh I love that great actors.
Speaker 3 (01:30:05):
Yeah, basically it's it's Ed Helms as a salesman and
he's never he's live in the same city's entire life,
and he's going his first time, like leaving his hometown
to go to a convention in Cedar Rapids for his
insurance salesman like conference, and it's so it's so good,
it's it's it's just it's just a good movie.
Speaker 2 (01:30:22):
Check out. Yeah. Yeah, we didn't want to put down
a lead. I wasn't. We weren't trying to living aarallance.
Speaker 3 (01:30:31):
Yeah, Charlotte's an American hub.
Speaker 4 (01:30:33):
I just need a TV on the seat. That's the
thing I need for today. And it's an NFL Sunday,
I need a TV on the seat.
Speaker 2 (01:30:39):
You know they don't have that. So yeah, like Jeff
Blue has that. I love that.
Speaker 4 (01:30:42):
Yeah, a little more stripped down, but hey, I'll take
the trade off. No connecting flight get me to a
South Bend. I don't even know how many people are
in South Bend, you know, like maybe three hundred thousand people.
Speaker 2 (01:30:53):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:30:53):
It's it's not a big town. So you fly direct somewhere. Yes,
I'm in I'm absolutely any last like Nuggets here Chiefs
Bills Marquee Game of the Day. One thing. Let's see, Oh,
I wanted to talk about the Bills fugazy pass defense?
Speaker 2 (01:31:11):
Like hear this thing?
Speaker 4 (01:31:12):
They're number two, They're ranked number two in past defense.
But you got to look at who they faced. Okay,
they faced the Jets, the Dolphins, the Saints, the Panthers.
Like that alone will help your numbers out dramatically. So
if you think that the Bills are just gonna shut
down Mahomes and that passing attack, there's no chance that happens.
(01:31:35):
They're just trying to limit damage today.
Speaker 3 (01:31:37):
Mahomes are so confident right now when you watch them
play too, like there's just a confidence in his ability.
By the way, Brian, why are the Dolphins racists for
firing Chris Greer? I need to do to talk this
out here, because isn't the most lazy.
Speaker 4 (01:31:53):
It's a horrible take.
Speaker 3 (01:31:54):
It's just like just it's so lazy just to get
on national TV and and say a like why is
the why? Why is the brother gone? I like, what?
Speaker 4 (01:32:04):
What? What?
Speaker 3 (01:32:05):
Have you watched the Dolphins play? He built this crummy team.
He paid the quarterback, which we which I agree, he
sort of had to pay to he had to do it.
I don't, but like that's the take after after always
he with the Dolphins is to go right into race.
Speaker 2 (01:32:20):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (01:32:21):
I don't think that way. The head coach is biracial,
the quarterback is Polynesian. It's not like there's a bunch
of white dudes just hanging out in the got rid
of the one guy who's not white. I don't understand.
I just don't get like the need to go right
to that. It's just lazy because the person on TV
just didn't pay attention to the Dolphins, and it's the
(01:32:41):
only taking come up with.
Speaker 4 (01:32:43):
And that's the problem is if there's a better example
of that taking place, that's the real downside is because
it's been misapplied in this situation. When it is applied
to a situation that maybe makes more sense, there's gonna
be a lot of people that roll their eyes, like,
here we go again, and it actually fits a little
bit better. Correct, But you've worn that out by misplacing
(01:33:06):
it here. It's complete misplacement in this Dolphins.
Speaker 3 (01:33:09):
You know the same guy and he he called me
one time, he hinted that I made a comment about
Aaron Donald he took his helmet off at a practice
and hit someone hits with the helmet, and I'm kind
of firm on like you take your helmet off and
hit someone with it, you should be suspended. Like that's
there's fighting, we fight happens. The helmet's a weapon, now,
(01:33:32):
you know, like that's like that's off limits. So I
commented and said, I think you should be spending a game,
that's what and said character on TV said, I wonder
if you'd say that if it was a white guy.
So too said about some I tweeted about. And what's
what's what sucked was that someone on the panel who
knew me pretty well did not defend my back. I
(01:33:53):
was kind of bummed about that. But yeah, like like
right to race, like immediately like yeah I would if
a white can hit him with the helmet. Today I'll
go in and say suspended for a game, Like you
shouldn't use your helmet. That's that's like forbidden when you fight,
it's it's a weapon.
Speaker 4 (01:34:08):
Wow, that's you know.
Speaker 2 (01:34:09):
I think all three of us, guys, I think I
remember Brian saying this, I gave out. I think I
gave you guys season wins or maybe not to make
the playoffs on the Dolphins, and even even Brian's like, yeah,
they're not going to have a good year. I think
all three of us were in agreeance on on Miami.
Speaker 3 (01:34:26):
On imloaded up on them pretty heavy on the under.
Speaker 2 (01:34:30):
Yeah they're bad.
Speaker 4 (01:34:31):
They're a bad, bad football team, no doubt. Hey, we've
got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight year
NFL veteran, I'm Brian No. All season long, bet MGM
is offering you a second chance on your first touchdown bet.
When a customer places a wager on a first touchdown
score bet and he doesn't score first, but score second,
bet MGM will return one of their stake back in cash.
(01:34:55):
We get texted routinely from our guy Russ, you know,
and he'll write thanks bet MGM, you know, and he
has a winning bet or he gets his money back
and he's like, I love our partner. He does that
all the time, so all the time. Take advantage of
that promotion. Hey, coming up next the trade deadline right
around the corner on Tuesday, one team has dramatically changed
(01:35:15):
its stance. We'll share that with you. It is Fox
Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by bet MGM. It
is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by bet MGM.

(01:35:36):
You can even provide a review. Again, just search Fox
Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts, and you'll find
today's full show posted right after we get off the air. Okay,
trade deadline that is on Tuesday. It's funny, man, we'll
get to the whole league, like who needs help, big
players that could be on the move, that sort of thing.
But it just made me laugh. Man, my Dolphins, this
(01:35:58):
is hilarious to me. So before the Ravens game right
where they got waxed pretty good. It's a there was
a story there, even if Thursday night was the first
Dolphins game. Oh no, that's a different one. I sent
this to Jeff here.
Speaker 3 (01:36:12):
Sorry, multiple ones.
Speaker 4 (01:36:14):
The first one was even if Thursday night was the
first Dolphins game you watched, don't worry, you've seen them all.
Speaker 2 (01:36:22):
It's funny.
Speaker 4 (01:36:23):
And the other one was Dolphins won't be sellers. There's
still quote unquote cautious optimism in organization despite two w
and six record. Now they're two win seven and now
there are reports everybody is on the table, probably except
Jalen Waddle their wide receivers. So the cautious optimism seems
(01:36:43):
to have flown the coop for the Dolphins over here,
as it should. They should be sellers. They stink out loud.
You need to move your guys and get draft picks.
Go young, Reset, restart.
Speaker 3 (01:36:54):
Do we know why McDaniel's still there, Like, what's the.
Speaker 4 (01:36:59):
I think he's got compromising photos of Stephen Ross. I
really don't know. I don't know any other reason why
he's still there, Like Steven Ross is just bullish and
keeping him for whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:37:10):
Reason possible to just no one else, like they could
take over.
Speaker 4 (01:37:14):
N there's always someone else to take over, like just
on an interim basis, you know, like Dan Campbell took
over long time ago, on an interim basis. Yeah, wish
they would have kept him.
Speaker 3 (01:37:23):
Man, it does feel like, well, we know they're just
sort of like dead. I mean, they're just dead in
the water. How much longer than roll with Tua. It's
just just feels unlikely like quin yours time soon. I
just can't imagine that they're gonna roll with him much longer.
It just it feels like it's all coming to an edge.
(01:37:45):
I think you have to unless ownership thinks that you
have a chance next season to win with the roster
you have, which feels unlike, then you should trade everyone
you can. Yeah, And it was not dal nailed down
because it does feel like the new coaches two is whatever.
(01:38:07):
I don't know what the cap numbers for next year,
like it's gonna be.
Speaker 4 (01:38:10):
It's like fifty.
Speaker 3 (01:38:12):
Don't have to eat it. They have to eat it
to move it along and draft a quarterback and rebuild
the roster. And if someone's Jalen Phillips, they want a
chan they want they want Wattle, just sell them. Just done.
I would I trade. I am a little harsher on
the I'm either like going for a Super Bowl or reloading.
Those are my two options. I'm not before. I'm not
(01:38:32):
in the middle.
Speaker 4 (01:38:33):
Yeah, and you're not like, hey, let's fight to be
like nine and eight next right now?
Speaker 3 (01:38:36):
So I know the Dolphins just trade everyone they can,
just kids many drafts because then you could use those
draft picks to trade up in the draft too. Right,
So let's say you want a one for Wattle, you
get a three instead. It's better than zero, and he's salary.
Cap off the books, like, just move everyone, move on,
move along. Everyone's off the roster. And so the last
thing to Micha McDaniel, wading the capre pants makes us
(01:38:59):
much worse after the game is running to go meet
Harball out side of the field. He's wearing those pants.
It's not it's not great.
Speaker 4 (01:39:08):
It makes it.
Speaker 3 (01:39:10):
Look much worse.
Speaker 4 (01:39:11):
Yeah, it does anybody else if you look at league wide, right,
let's get off the Dolphins for a second. If you
look league wide, any players bress Hall, good Jets running
backs on a horrible team. This is a last year
of his rookie deal. You should absolutely move him. Team wise,
any teams that you look at, Hey about how about
the Chiefs if they were able to get bress Hall?
(01:39:31):
If something like that, You look at a player that
should be on the move, A team that definite definitely
needs a certain player, you know, like position wise, anything
on your radar here.
Speaker 3 (01:39:44):
I mean there's a lot of teams that could use
defensive linement and corners and password. I mean, it's all is.
None of this is new right for what teams want.
I mean, it just depends on who's willing to get.
Like if the Chiefs feel like they're one pass rusher away,
it's like you, here's all my money from my rush,
like it's are the are those things? Are the Chiefs
gonna feel that way?
Speaker 2 (01:40:04):
Right?
Speaker 3 (01:40:04):
Is Buffalo gonna feel like we are one interior defensive
linement away from where we want to be. Those are
all things that are worth figuring out. And if they are,
then I think people would be in to training. But
as of right now, we just don't have those. We
don't know how desperate those teams are going to be.
Today Today might determine a lot of that. So we
heading to Tuesday.
Speaker 4 (01:40:25):
Yeah, how about Trey Hendrickson, you know Bengals edge rusher.
Speaker 3 (01:40:30):
Yeah, I agree, I think I should. I am pro again,
I'm pro, like either all in or all out. The
Bengals are not doing anything again Today might determine that
they lose the Bears. Today they might be like, We're
that's it. Nothing we're doing is worth it, Like we're
out of here. So I think today is a very
(01:40:51):
very important day for some of these teams to figure
out what they're gonna be.
Speaker 2 (01:40:58):
Yeah, I'm sorry, I was what I was doing when
I was reading an article from the Athletic. Uh, well,
the Falcons deal Kirk Cousins on the NFL trade deadline,
and uh, this was pretty interesting article. It's it's it's
up there from yesterday. You know a lot of these
teams if they're you know, if you have a team
that's gonna make the playoffs, but maybe you're looking for
a veteran backup quarterback. So this is a really good
(01:41:21):
article if anyone wants to read it by Josh Kendall
Yesterday's Athletic. Pretty interesting. How how the breakdown of you
know which there's like four days left, so if you
think about what these teams may need coming down to
the end, Uh, maybe they need a veteran backup quarterback.
But you know what these uh, these these these payrolls
(01:41:44):
are unbelieve you guys mentioned uh to a I mean,
so you guys are saying, get a quarterback and just
get rid of to it next year Benjamin fifty five
million year.
Speaker 3 (01:41:54):
Yeah, it just is Yeah, well that thing about you
get a young quarterback that you just that's basically the
salary is the first round salary plus whatever you get
it for two. You just can't look it.
Speaker 4 (01:42:06):
Can be done. Look at the Broncos moving on from
Russell Wilson, they ate even more.
Speaker 3 (01:42:11):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:42:11):
I moved on my.
Speaker 3 (01:42:13):
Brother on Thursday night about the Dolphins offense. I was like,
I just can't stand to watch his offense. He said
to me, what you can't stand to watch is an
offense designed around a quarterback who can't get hurt. It's like, yeah, yes,
that's what It's not that. I I don't think Mike
McDaniel forgot how to call offense. I think it's it's
there's such protection note around the quarterback. Then it limits
(01:42:33):
what they can do offensively every time to of runs,
which is rare. I think to myself, please don't get hit, right? Sure,
if I think that, what do you think they think?
Speaker 2 (01:42:42):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (01:42:42):
Totally absolutely.
Speaker 3 (01:42:44):
And so when I watch their offense, it's just not
a And maybe Stephen Ross thinks like the same way
I do, Like if we get rid of to uh,
Mike McDaniel's the right guy. Maybe he does. I don't.
I don't know what he thinks. Yeah, but that that'd
be very rare if that was actually the case, And
I'm I'm curious to see if he's gone. Look, we
(01:43:04):
know the end of the season typically is that sort
of black Monday when the coaches are gone. It happens
a little earlier now is sort of teams prepare speaking
about that. Just to smids Brian, the college coaching cycle
this year, oh man, is going to be something that
we've never seen this sport. Yeah, job, we're gonna have
allburn open up, maybe fours state. Oh, We're gonna have
(01:43:25):
these jobs open up even more than we have now.
It's going to be unbelievably wild.
Speaker 4 (01:43:30):
Yeah, LSU, Florida, Penn State. Like this is our elite
job openings. You know, they're not that many elite coaching
candidates either to fill those shoes.
Speaker 3 (01:43:38):
Even like the downwind of like these coaches that are
leaving their jobs and that job opens up, and then
that job, we're gonna have coaches that we don't that
our a aren't ready for this, which is certainly fair,
but also new OC's new DC. We're gonna have guys
come out of nowhere like a signetti. You're like, oh wow,
who's who's that coach? If you're gonna reset the entire landscape.
Speaker 4 (01:43:58):
Of the sport, can we just agree let's keep Marcus
Freeman at Notre Dame.
Speaker 2 (01:44:03):
Right, I love it?
Speaker 3 (01:44:04):
Like thankfully Dan Lanning is not being mentioned for any
of this stuff. I would lose. I would, I would.
It would not be good, but it would not be great.
I think Freeman. I think the thing about the sport
that's so different now is that not that their name
couldn't win. Now Brian Kelly left because he thought they
couldn't win, But the Portal and Nil have made jobs
(01:44:26):
so different now.
Speaker 4 (01:44:28):
It's changed everything.
Speaker 3 (01:44:29):
Like if you're Marcus Freeman, first of all, you went
to a championship game last season, so like what like
you don't have to go to LSU to win anymore.
If you're said Natty, you don't have to leave Indiana.
Indiana right now has a good chances the entire sport
to win a championship. The way they're playing, you.
Speaker 4 (01:44:45):
Can tell like Brian Kelly was behind the curve on
that one, because there was a time where he was
completely right. You would have had to leave Notre Dame
to go to LSU to have a legitimate chance to
chase a championship. You got all these entrance requirements. You know,
you got to have the raids at a certain level
at Notre Dame. Right, it's very tough. It's very tough.
But now that it's twelve teams and not four teams
(01:45:06):
any longer, and all of a sudden nil transfer portal,
it's like that day is different now, it's not the
same as it once was. So he was behind the
curve on that one, not ahead of it.
Speaker 3 (01:45:17):
And I just don't think these coaches feel the need
to have to lead. They're also making so much money
now you used to have to go to LSU to
make that. Now you're getting I meant Lashly SMU is
getting ten plus a year. Now you're getting all this
and SMU, by the way, is taking zero money from
the a SCC. They're just self funding themselves and have
all that that that oil money there in.
Speaker 4 (01:45:38):
That crazy Yeah, So that that was their sales pitch.
They were like, you don't even have to pay us, Like,
we'll just join your conference. We're good, We're good to go.
Speaker 3 (01:45:46):
I mean, you know, even Colorado, Colorado gave d On
ten million dollars in March.
Speaker 4 (01:45:51):
I mean, they're finding this money.
Speaker 3 (01:45:52):
Man everyone get so the idea that like you can
win anywhere now and so I think it changes the
calculus on who these huge teams are going to get
as coaches.
Speaker 4 (01:46:00):
You know, we're changing the calculus right now. We've gone
from Isaac Lowenkron, he's just out right. We've gone to
Dan Byer he was in for a little bit. Now
we've got Manzi Bolanos. How about that for calculus changing? Manzi?
What is going on here?
Speaker 7 (01:46:14):
I mean, I know you guys don't care to talk
about the Dodgers, but the Dodgers are going on obviously
back to back chams after topping the Blue Jays in
a thriller last night extrainings I threw up seven times.
Speaker 4 (01:46:24):
But we're all good. Dodgers win it.
Speaker 7 (01:46:26):
They're the first team to clinch back to back World
Series on the road since nineteen seventy five and nineteen
seventy six with the Reds. They're also the early favorites
already to win in twenty twenty six.
Speaker 4 (01:46:37):
Already. Just so you guys, now, this is not a
good way to get into Jeff's good graces. No one,
San Francisco, no one.
Speaker 3 (01:46:45):
Just likes the Dodgers so that it makes you feel
at least better, so that no one likes them, and
you know it's fine. I get it.
Speaker 7 (01:46:50):
I would hate the Dodgers too if I wasn't, you know,
in LA.
Speaker 3 (01:46:53):
I get it. I actually don't hate them. I respect
them for taking advantage of the system.
Speaker 2 (01:46:57):
I really do.
Speaker 3 (01:46:58):
I wish, I wish the Giants. Would you pay everyone
into further money twenty years?
Speaker 4 (01:47:02):
Why not? Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (01:47:03):
Why not?
Speaker 4 (01:47:04):
Yeah, I hear you. But I understand the like, you know, the.
Speaker 7 (01:47:09):
Dislike that there is around the Dodgers.
Speaker 2 (01:47:11):
I get it.
Speaker 4 (01:47:11):
I would probably feel the same way if I.
Speaker 7 (01:47:13):
Didn't live in LA.
Speaker 2 (01:47:14):
I get it.
Speaker 7 (01:47:15):
But A games kicking off in the NFL at one
Eastern to continue Week nine, A couple of players who
are in and out. Quarterback Joe Flacco he is active
for the Bengals. They're taking on the Bears, but defensive
end Trey Hendrickson and linebacker Logan Wilson are out. Texans
tight end Dalton Schultz is active against the Broncos. Safety
Jesse Bates is good to go for Atlanta. They're facing
New England, who is playing without running back Romandre Stevenson.
(01:47:37):
San Francisco once again is going to be without brock
perty He's not even the third emergency quarterback for the
forty nine ers. Jayden Daniels and Deebo Samuel are both
back for Washington, but the NFL Network is reporting that
Commander's wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who is out this week,
he's likely out next week and there's a chance he
misses the Dolphins game in Madrid as well. Chiefs running
back by Zampa Checko also out today, but Tracy Wolfson
(01:47:59):
of CBS reports that he avoided serious injury and should
be back.
Speaker 4 (01:48:03):
After the bye week to face the Broncos.
Speaker 7 (01:48:05):
And it's past Halloween, but if you're going to the
Lions game, they're handing out a treat. I don't know
if you guys have seen this, but they're handing out
the Amen Ross Saint Brown head stand bobblehead like when he.
Speaker 4 (01:48:16):
Goes fully on his Yes, it looks so awesome.
Speaker 7 (01:48:19):
So if you're going out to that game and you're
one of the I think twenty thousand fans, you may
get that. And just in tennis, Yannick Sinner captured his
first Paris Masters title. He has reclaimed world number one,
leap frogging Carlos Algraz.
Speaker 4 (01:48:31):
Back to you guys, Thank you Manzi. It is a
Fox Sports Radios countdown to kick Off presented by Bett
MGM before we get to the primetime games. Real fast here, Jeff,
you you mentioned no Isaiah Pacheco for the Chiefs today,
as Monty just said, right there, So Kareem Hunt, he's
going to get the bulk of the carries. But our
guy Brishard Smith looks, I'm gonna get a lot more
(01:48:52):
touches I think today with the check out.
Speaker 3 (01:48:55):
He's sort of the sort of working him in slowly.
So I want to make this point. It's important. People
often look at young running backs aren't first round picks, right,
they kind of like have some juice and they think
like why aren't they playing more? And the reason they're
not playing more is pass protection. Yeah, yeah, you will
to pass protect and you can't just be in the
game to run the ball every time.
Speaker 4 (01:49:15):
That's right, that'son thing the Patriots right back, right.
Speaker 3 (01:49:18):
Yeah, So with Smith, he hasn't been playing because of that.
It's is not great at it. Now he has to
play today because cream Hunt is not a number one
for sixty minutes, so Smith will play more today. I'm curious.
Oh and they also made I think they made Clyde
Edwards Hilaire active from the practice squad as well. You
can't wait join that quite yet, but some of those
(01:49:39):
will we'll we'll pop up throughout the day as they
start starting again. Some more reps here, So I'm kind
of curious to see, like where the Chiefs go with
some of the reps. But Smith Shood get more, absolutely
or they're gonna passed all one hundred times.
Speaker 4 (01:49:50):
Whi's also possible, right, that's possible too. How about UH
Seahawks at the Commanders. That's the night game, Sunday Night
Football tonight, Seahawks three point favorites on the road, totals
tipped up to totals ticked up to forty eight and
a half. Jaden Daniels should be good to go, man.
How about Sam Darnold and the deep ball here completing
a lot of passes twenty plus yards, Jackson Smith and
(01:50:12):
Jigba has been fantastic. This dude is legitimately top five
receiver in the league right now, putting up huge numbers
and against the Commander's defense, they give up big plays.
All the time, just left and right. They just can't
stop these big plays. So keep your eye on Jackson, JSN,
Jackson Smith and Jig. But tonight this is a public
(01:50:34):
sharp game right here where okay sharp? So on the commanders,
I think, yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (01:50:40):
Think that the what I've seen so far, a lot
of Seattle love on this one crack and not a
lot of people and the commanders here. I would lean
to the commanders in this game. They're not due, but
like they just been, they have not been playing the
Christmas of football. And when Daniels back into sort of,
I think after last game was it was it was
(01:51:02):
ugly against Kansas City. I think they'll bounce back. The
pass rush does worry me, and some of the defensive lapses.
Speaker 2 (01:51:08):
Do worry me.
Speaker 3 (01:51:09):
Seattle, by the way, he's played great on the road
under Mike McDonald, which is opposite of way they used
to play where they just struggled on the road. But
one at home. Uh So I'm curious, but I would
much try to take the commander of plus the three
here then then take Seattle.
Speaker 2 (01:51:22):
Yeah, Seattle travels across the country. Uh for this game
prime time, Washington still beat up without their two top
targets McLaren and Deebo. That probably means Jad and Daniels
will have to use his legs more to create plays.
It's that simple. Uh. Donald, like we said, look great
so far this season. Seattle at the top of the
division five and two, been very efficient. Uh And he's
(01:51:44):
looked great so far this season. You know, a lot
of mistake free ball, but it also seems like the
chemistry between him and his top wide out Smith Uh.
And he gets stronger each week. However, I don't know
if they're a playoff team. I know that people. I
know they're the top of their division and they're doing
(01:52:05):
better every week. I just don't know if they're a
playoff team. Washington been pretty good against the pass. They
ranked twenty ninth. Oh sorry, hasn't been good. You should
say that hasn't been good against the path the past.
Donald could be due for another good game tonight, but
you know, at three and five, Washington really needs this
game to get back in the playoff pick. They need
(01:52:26):
this game.
Speaker 4 (01:52:26):

syndicate say?
Speaker 3 (01:54:57):
Good news is I can't be the worst last week.
The good news Crack can't be any worse. Okay, here
we go. Uh, I'm gonna do the Chargers minus nine
and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:55:09):
I'm with you.
Speaker 3 (01:55:11):
Sorry, Tennessee loses every game by four touchdowns. I just
don't know why the Chargers don't run the ball fifty
five times in this game. If you can find like
a total rushing yards for the team, some books offer that.
I haven't been through all the BETMGM. They offer that
take it all total Rusher Simmons is out again, like Chargers,
Just give me the Charger. I don't know whatever. Falcons
(01:55:32):
plus five colts is not now back to three? Check
sign up for that one. Chiefs minus two give me
the uh the Commander's plus three here at the.
Speaker 2 (01:55:43):
End of the day.
Speaker 4 (01:55:44):
Okay, I like the music, the jolt of energy right there.
Speaker 3 (01:55:48):
Whoever played the I Love La song? If that was Sam,
you know what we're gonna We're gonna beat Iowa this weekend.
Speaker 6 (01:55:53):
Just for that.
Speaker 4 (01:55:54):
I think it was our guy Crack. Crack requested it,
you know I requested it.
Speaker 2 (01:55:59):
I did.
Speaker 4 (01:56:00):
Really, It's like, so that's great, very fitting, no doubt celebrating. Okay,
so listen, I'm with you on a couple of these picks, Jeff.
I'm with you on the Chargers. Normally, I don't make
it a habit laying nine and a half on the road.
I'll make an exception when it comes to the Titans.
They are either dead last or like second a dead
last all across the board in offensive categories. They're not
(01:56:23):
gonna be able to stop the rush. Justin Herbert should
do unspeakable things to that defense. I'll lay it. I'll
lay the nine and a half. I'll lay it with
the Chiefs also minus two. They're just gonna be so
tough to slow down with that Bill's defense. They can't
stop the rush. They've got a fugazi pass defense. I
just don't think that they match points with the Chiefs today.
I'll lay it there too. Let's see what else. I'll
(01:56:46):
lay it with the Niners. I think that the Giants,
you've talked about it, Jeff, their emotional engine is gone
with Skataboo, no molik neighbors. I'll lay two and a
half on the road. I'll take points here. I'll take
an ugly dog. Give me Carolina play thirteen, a lot
of points in an NFL game, a.
Speaker 2 (01:57:02):
Lot of points.
Speaker 4 (01:57:03):
And listen Packers riding high off an emotional win. Panthers
got crushed forty to nine. I think the Panthers is
going to be more up for this game than the
Packers are. I'll take the thirteen, and I'll lay it
with Jacksonville. I'll lay two and a half. The Raiders
are unspeakably bad. Gino second most interceptions, Jack's defense second
most interceptions. Right, so we should get some takeaways. If
(01:57:26):
you're on Jacksonville here, I'll lay it with them too.
All right, let's get to more picks. Rapid fire. Let's
do it.
Speaker 3 (01:57:35):
Rapid fire.
Speaker 4 (01:57:36):
Okay, crack, what's something you like?
Speaker 2 (01:57:38):
All right, let's go Colch Steelers over first half MGM
twenty five and a half. Colch Steelers over first half,
look over some points.
Speaker 4 (01:57:46):
All right, Jeff, anything you want to mention.
Speaker 3 (01:57:49):
The Alan rushing I love that. The Jews is not
great on that one. I like the Colts mean a
lot and cover this game. M Fair of the week,
which I don't know good or bout.
Speaker 4 (01:57:59):
We're move in lines over here. We talked about the
Niners Giants under. It's now forty seven and a half.
I'll still take Under on that one. I just don't
think it's going to be a points fest. Okay, no
fancy intro here, Crack, but your play of the day.
We're a little backed up on time.
Speaker 2 (01:58:13):
But what do you have for us? Yeah, Jaguars Lawrence
under two thirty five and a half passing yards and
a late minute play here, Patriots Jennings over rushing yards.
Patriots Jennings over rushing yards.
Speaker 4 (01:58:25):
Okay, all right, love it, enjoy wake nine, right,
