Good morning, Happy Sunday to you, Happy week fourteen to

that good stuff throughout the show, and we will have
Judgment Day college football playoff style as we dive headfirst
into those waters here. Good morning, Jeff, Good morning crack All.
Good with you guys, Everything okay.
Speaker 5 (00:59):
It is all good. I am so fascinated by what
they try to do here with the committee. I believe
it's at twelve Eastern, right, so we'll have answers wall
on the show. All I know is that personally I
got to sit at home yesterday watch college football. My
ducks will get to play most likely JMU at home.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
I don't want it better than last year, right.
Speaker 5 (01:21):
I don't want to be cocky, but like I was
gonna go to Eugene for the game, I'm not anymore.
I'm just not traveling to Eugene. I'll save my AMO
for another game at Texas Tech.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
JM.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
You can't get you out there.
Speaker 6 (01:32):
H No.
Speaker 5 (01:33):
Then we get Texas Tech, who can't score in the
red zone against good teams. Their defense is incredible, and
then we'll play like Indiana or something like. I don't know,
but Indiana. Look, the one seed again is gonna have
a terrible path. They're gonna have to play Notre Dame
in Oklahoma, Miami, someone. The thing, guys, it's very simple.
(01:54):
There's no structure to how this is done every year. Okay,
so pretending to understand what the committee thinks. Welllat year
they didn't drop SMU and this year they didn't do that.
They're makeup as they go. There's absolutely no structure whatsoever.
They make it up as they go. Very it's very
easily easy to see. I should say that Alabama is out. Okay,
(02:14):
I know it's an extra game, totally understand, but they
look very bad, like that was a bit they looked
terrible and they had issues the last month where he
lost Oklahoma had to come back and be Auburn like,
it's not it's not being great. Notre Dame is power
rated better than them, They're better than them in a
lot of different categories. They're more consistent, and oh Miami
(02:37):
beat Notre Dame. That has to matter. It has to matter.
So that's where I see it going now. Notre Dame
might be ahead of Miami. There might be nine in
Miami might be ten, which is totally fair. Lastly, before
I turned you crack. Look not amount of qualifier thing.
I don't get why people fight for this. I was
(02:58):
arguing with people on the internet about it, yes, and
someone said, well, we don't want or I don't want
results to be dismissed, And I what does that mean?
It's results to be dismissed? Do you do? I went
to Oregon in two thousand and four. I never thought
I was playing a title game for success. That wasn't
(03:19):
my goal. It wasn't my goal. Oh guys, we're only
good if we played for the championship or were in
the championship series, not like you win ten games go
to Rose Bowl. No one goes to jams. No one
feels dismissed at JAMU for going twelve and one and
not making the playoff. What do you mean dismissed?
Speaker 3 (03:34):
The goal of the.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
Playoffs finding a champion? Crack, Jami is not winning a championship.
Two lanes. Not winning a championship put one in fine,
but depriving like Miami, Notre Dame, Alabama be in this
tournament to the German a champion because we don't want
JAMU to feel dismissed.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
It stop me with that. I don't I don't believe
in that at all. Yeah, good morning guys. Well, which
teams do I think we'll get in? Yeah, I'm you know,
I'm hoping maybe because I had that future bet, but
Notre Dame. I think, Notre Dame in Alabama. Which two
teams do I think should get in? Probably Miami in Alabama.
Alabama shouldn't be punished for losing in the SEC championship.
(04:10):
I don't care what the score of the game was.
I mean, Miami and Notre Dame had very similar resumes.
Miami beat them head to headway back in August time.
I know that game was a long time ago. In
the beginning of the season. But that should give Miami
the not over Notre Dame. But what am I hoping for?
I'm hoping for Notre Dame selfishly, and I'm sure Brian
is with me.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
Oh, I'm with you on that one. Crack, I'm rooting
for you. You know, I'm not just rooting for you.
I'm with you like I'm side by side the same
foxhol on that one. Yet here's my thing. Listen, it
boils down to three teams for two spots. Yes, it's Alabama,
it's Notre Dame, it's Miami. So one of them's gotta go.
And here's the thing. This is the ugly truth as
(04:51):
I see it. I think for the committee, Notre Dame
is the easy way out because what they can say is, well,
Notre Dame lost to Miami head the head. We have
to honor that, even though they haven't honored it all
year long. Now they'll just honor it when it's the
only pole that actually matters. They're gonna flip flop them
and then they're gonna say, well, we can't punish poor
(05:13):
Alabama for getting dump trucked in the SEC Championship game,
because well, you can't punish a team that lost in
its conference championship game. To that, I say toppy cock.
And this is why. With Alabama in particular, there was
a lot of talk about if they win the game,
they might get a bye. Right, so you're gonna move
(05:33):
up at least from number nine to number four. You
can only move up, you can only skyrocket up, but
you can't move down. That makes no sense. And you
look at last year. There's president for this. SMU lost
by a last second field goal.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
They lost by three points to Clemson.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Clemson hit a fifty six yard field goal at the
gun and SMU dropped two spots. They lost by a
field goal. Look at they lost by three points. Alabama
lost by three touchdowns. It wasn't even close. There was
a great comment. I don't know who put it out there,
but on social media they wrote that Notre Dame in
(06:11):
Miami had more rushing yards than Alabama yesterday and they
didn't even play. Alabama had minus three rushing yards. You
have to take that into account.
Speaker 5 (06:21):
Yeah, look, I don't I don't love the rushing stats
and college walks. They include sacks, which is which is bad.
But your point stands, right, I mean the Alabama did
not rush the ball very well. The thing. So the thing,
there's many arguments here, depending on what side you're on,
But they're gonna drop Ohio State presumably a couple spots
because they lost, right, Why was Why would Bama not
(06:42):
drop a couple of spots because they lost? Right? Like
that point, that's sort of like the point, right, Like
Ohio State's not gonna be one today, Indiana's gonna be one.
I think of house, that'll be three and two and
three is irrelevant, you know, just who's the home team
when you play Georgia, Right, that's relevant? I guess. I
guess choosing where you play would matter because I think
they still let the Seeds choose where they play, So
(07:02):
Indiana will probably choose the Rose Bull, I would imagine,
and then if Ohio State is two, they could choose
where they want to play. Maybe they want to play
in Dallas. And but what I mean, it's that's unimportant, right,
They're fans will travel and Georgia will get to choose
a Sugar Bowl, you know, like whatever otherwise doesn't matter.
Two or three, But they're gonna drop them, right. If
Georgia would have lost that game, they would have dropped Georgia,
so why not drop Alabama one spot? So I'm very
(07:27):
curious what they do. I actually think Miami has to
be in because otherwise you have no agency team. And
I don't think they're gonna go without an ACC team.
And I love my four to one wager I took
this week on Miami being a playoff team as well,
would be nice to hit, right, But that's that's where
(07:47):
I I think that's the net out. I did take
a big twelve under one and a half teams in
the postseason as well. That'll that'll hit today, which I'm
thankful for. And but I think we're always shattering the
biggest thing in college football, which is Holy heck, Indiana,
there's no controversy.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
Good for Indiana. We're all about controversy over here.
Speaker 5 (08:08):
How about what unbelievable, unbelievable what Indiana has done, what
Signetti has done. I mean, it's it's there's not even
you can't explain. Someone asked me if someone sent me
a DM, like, dude, how do you explain this? I
don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Yeah, I don't know. They even said it right after
the game.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Indiana is the second losingest college football team of all
time in FBA.
Speaker 5 (08:37):
They were first entering this season, they're they're they're not
anymore because they beat they passed Northwestern. I believe this season.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
That's what blows my mind the most. Kurt Signetti. Shout
out to him. We've said this.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
On the show. They were nine and twenty seven.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
The three years collectively before he got there, they were
nine and twenty seven. He took over that mess, and
not only did they make the playoff last season, now
they're undefeated, number one in the country this season. Big
Ten champions just took down undefeated defending champion Ohio State.
This would normally take five or ten years to get
them moving in this He did it overnight. It's unbelievable
(09:16):
what Kurt Signetti has done. Shout out today. He's been unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Man, Hey, guys, what do you think the odds are
the odds of these teams getting into the college football playoffs?
Notre Dame, Alabama, Miami Duke. What do you think these
odds are?
Speaker 4 (09:29):
It's like I peaked at it last night and Notre
Dame is I can't believe.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
No, Yeah, how can it be that high?
Speaker 1 (09:38):
It's crazy, isn't it.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Yeah, I would never lie. I just can't lay that though.
I can't lay twenty to one.
Speaker 5 (09:43):
I I don't think anyone is.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
I mean, if you are, Wow, God bless Alabama minus
three to one, Miami plus one fifty Duke plus eighteen
to one. But wow, I just cannot I cannot believe
minus twenty to one on Notre Dame.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
By the way, do you see what are BYU's odds?
Speaker 3 (10:03):
You know they're not for some reason, they don't have it.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
That was the funniest thing to me yesterday was Kirk
kurb Street where he's like and the committee? I mean,
where does BYU go? They go away?
Speaker 1 (10:17):
For good? Like, what are you talking?
Speaker 4 (10:19):
They were eleventh heading into the day, they get kicked
in the teeth and lose by twenty seven points.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
What are they gonna move up? What do you mean?
Where do they go?
Speaker 4 (10:27):
That was one of the most ridiculous statements of the
whole day. I'll give you the best statement that I
think happened all day long. This is mark Ingram on
Fox TV and he was, you know, previewing the Big
Ten championship game. So this is right after the SEC
Championship game, right, Alabama gets worked by Georgia, and so
(10:47):
they handed to Mark Ingram and say, hey, who do
you think gets in Check this out?
Speaker 1 (10:51):
You're kind going to be in it in my opinion.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
Now I have to pause it there because he's like,
I'm almost rolling my eyes and I'm like, okay, former
ally Labama running backs, Great, what do you think, Mark?
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Should the Tide be in there?
Speaker 2 (11:04):
I roll tied?
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Definitely. Man, you look at this. Here's what he said,
check it out. I don't think they're in there.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
You're number nine, two losses, you get a third loss,
twenty eight to seven.
Speaker 5 (11:14):
You lose by twenty one points.
Speaker 7 (11:16):
They say you can't be punished for how you play
your conference game, but it matters how you play your
conference game.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
If you play well, play it close, play tough, then.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
You get the benefit of the doubt of not being
punished for that.
Speaker 7 (11:27):
But if you go into the conference championship game, you're
b why you lose by twenty seven points?
Speaker 5 (11:30):
You're Alabama. You lose bout twenty one points. You're number nine,
you're number eleven on the bubble. Now with three losses,
I think that they're out.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
I think if you're a notre Dame and you're a
Miami fan.
Speaker 7 (11:40):
Everything happened the way you went to happen today BYU gets.
Speaker 5 (11:43):
Dominated, Alabama gets dominated.
Speaker 6 (11:44):
In my opinion, I think that opens the door for
Notre Dame to get in and both Miami to get
in as well.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
I really respect him for that. That's not being a homer.
That's the objective. That was awesome. And that's one thing
I want to say. Everybody's looking at this and saying,
you can't get punished if you're Alabama for losing to
Georgia in the SEC championship game. I don't think it's
only that that you have to consider. You have to
look at them getting punished for getting punked by Florida State.
(12:13):
Florida State was two and six in the ACC. The
ACC is terrible. They were two win six in conference play,
five and seven overall, and they crushed Alabama right out
of the gate. I think that's what Bama's getting punished for. Primarily,
you have three losses, one including that ugly loss to
Florida State, and you get pummeled by Georgia. So I
(12:37):
don't subscribe to this. Hey, you can only move up
in your conference championship game. If you win but you
can't move down, that makes no sense to me. I
think Bama should be out. I'd be surprised if that's
what the committee does because they have no stones. But
if they have any stones whatsoever, they would kick Alabama
to the curb because that's what they deserve.
Speaker 5 (12:55):
Yeah, I do think that.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
That.
Speaker 5 (13:00):
Yeah. I before this, I did describe the theory that
you shouldn't be punished for this game, for losing a
Confence championship game. But you know, the last month the
season for Bama has not been good, and then I
think it all matters, and that game was not close.
I mean there was. You know, it's interesting when when
you play when these teams, when these teams played earlier
(13:21):
this season, right, and and remember Bama got up to
a huge lead the first thirty minutes when Bama Georgia
played the first time. Right, Bama outscored Georgia twenty four
to fourteen to eighty two rushing yards to the last
ninety minutes the second half of game one. In this
entire game too, Bama was outscored thirty five to seven
and at thirty two rushing yards. It just it just
(13:46):
I don't I think that her name is better. I
think Miami is better than Alabama, and maybe better doesn't
matter here. I did see some doom, some doomsday quotes though,
that are pretty funny. Yeah, Brett McMurphy tweeted out. One
high ranking person tells me if if this could be,
this could be it for the playoff if Bama doesn't
get in and no ASC team, Oh god it I
(14:07):
mean we changed it two years ago. What do you
mean it's then change it again next.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
I love these threats.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
They're basically like threats like if you don't put Alabama in,
there's gonna be hell to pay. It's almost like we're
getting ready for Summer Slam or so there's gonna be
hell to pay if Fama's not in there.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
What are we talking about?
Speaker 5 (14:23):
Look, I do think that we are moving to a
different model pretty soon for the playoff. I do think
that conference championship games will end up being playing games
like four verse five, And they're gonna make the model
to where with the Big Tens proposing, which is like
four Big ten teams and four SEC teams and they're
determined by by by standings in their returned by standings, Right,
(14:46):
So the committee is not choosing where they Now maybe
they choose where they're slotted, but the fact is they're
being chosen by play on the field, right, And then
you're gonna play USC Michigan this weekend four versus five
to determine who that fourth team is. And that's what
that SEC was gonna do. Now they're gonna play whoever, well,
(15:06):
I don't know who that ends up being A and
m old missed whatever for like the last slots essentially,
and then you remove it from the committee having to
determine where these teams should be slaughted because you've your
four highest ranking teams in the conference. Are gonna go
That's what I think they're trying to do, and I
think they might end up actually doing it.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
Yeah, we'll see where it goes. I mean, change is
inevitable in college football. They just love change for the
sake of change. And I saw someone.
Speaker 5 (15:35):
Tweet out that it was very funny. I saw a
tweet this morning from someone who covers college football saying,
like you you uh, you know, we'll pull up. It's
very funny because it's just it's just like not college
football at all. They said, Uh. Protecting the architecture of
the sport matters? What what architecture? What are of what sport?
What sport is what college football? The sport that changes
(15:58):
the architecture every months depending on how they feel. I
mean to change what architecture of the sports.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Let's check it.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
Let's look at the PAC twelve standings real fast.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
They said they said Bama should be in because we
need to protect the architecture of the sports.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Oh stop, it's so ridiculous.
Speaker 5 (16:14):
Man.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
Here's the thing too, is I like that it's twelve teams.
I like that not everybody can get in. I love
some of these conversations the last couple of weeks where hey,
Texas should be in and this it's like, guys, there
are twelve teams that get in.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Like everybody can't get in.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
And that's the thing, man, Like I love Notre Dame,
but guess what, they wouldn't be on the bubble if
they won one of their first two games. It's like,
win more games and stop your tears. Like I don't
have sympathy for these teams that could have put together
a better resume and didn't. And now they're like, well
we we didn't get the NOD. And it's like well,
you didn't win enough, so I don't know what to
(16:49):
tell you. You know, like, I don't think we need to
change everything. And because whatever one of these teams, Bama,
Notre Dame, Miami, who are worthy playoff teams, one of
them going to get left in the cold. I don't
think we have to change the entire structure just because
that happens. Like that's gonna happen from time to time.
Not everybody can get in. It's the way it goes.
Speaker 5 (17:09):
But they're gonna change it because they they're going to
be upset. I mean, someone's gonna be that upset that
it's going to matter and they're gonna want to change it,
which is I mean, I'm with you. I think that's insane,
But that's that's a sport now, man, where you just
if you don't like it, change it.
Speaker 4 (17:25):
The one thing about change, Jeff, And this goes full
circle back to your original point about look at the
one seed's path. If you did expand it to sixteen teams,
then it would be just like a college basketball bracket
where one place sixteen, two place fifteen. That would make
a whole lot of sense in terms of the path.
If you get a one seed or a two seed.
(17:46):
You should have a favorable path. It shouldn't be a
tougher path than like the three seed or whatever. And
that's what we have right now.
Speaker 5 (17:52):
The thing is that the parody in the sport, I
think is more than it's ever been Brian and so
you know eight nine is they're really good teams like
Indiana is not that much better than Notre Dame, right,
And so I think that's the sport has never seen
this parody to this level. Writing ten years ago, you
(18:13):
know one verse eight would be a pretty significant advantage
for Alabama against the eighth best team of the country.
And now it's just not It's just where the sport
is right now with I mean, look who won yesterday. Now,
of course Duke lost five games again a Duke one.
Indiana won yesterday. You know, teams that we just never
put up there is football powers are winning conference championship
(18:34):
Texas Tech. They taking advantage of the NL or why not, right,
it's you're allowed to pay players, now, get it, get
the best players you can. So the parody in this
sport is just so much different now too.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
No doubt.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
Uh super fast LEAs litwell Cherry on top. As a
Miami fan, you got to be tearing your hair out.
I just see the playoff predictor percentages. They've got Notre
Dame at ninety five percent, Miami at twenty two percent.
As a Hurricanes fan, You're like, explain that to me.
Run that by me again, real vez, Like, that's that's wild.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
But here we are.
Speaker 4 (19:07):
We've got Bill Krachenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
I'm Brian No.

All right, fellas, we've got the Steelers at the Ravens
here today. Ravens favored by six. Both teams were freaking
(21:08):
awful last week. No voodoo for the Steelers, man, it
was all anti voodoo for them as they got punked
by the Bills twenty six to seven. Lamar and the
Ravens were awful on Thanksgiving evening against the Bengals. They
lost thirty two to fourteen, and so both teams trying
to turn it around.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
I focus in on.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
The Ravens more five turnovers last week against the Bengals,
which aren't exactly the eighty five bears out there, you
know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (21:35):
Lamar Man.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
Lamar has been rough lately, no touchdowns in the last
three games. Inaccurate, He's dealing with injuries, but he can
move around decent enough.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
He's not his normal self.
Speaker 4 (21:47):
But the inaccurate passes Man, his passes are nowhere close
to being accurate and consistently so. Both teams, both quarterbacks,
both offenses trying to get on track this week. And
good news for the Ravens is the Steelers defense has
been pretty rough. So if the Ravens can't do anything today,
I don't know when they're going to do anything offensively.
Speaker 5 (22:09):
Yeah, you know, Pittsburgh I think is sort of dead
inside right now. I mean you you know, they spent
the week hering for former players, calling for the coach
to be fired. You know, not a spot I think
you want to be in right now where offensively, Aaron
Rodgers looks every been his age he is. He broke
(22:32):
his note, broke his nose last game. It's just like
really struggling. The Bills ran this wing formation thirty one times.
They ran two run plays for nearly two hundred yards
against Pittsburgh. The other day, the Pittsburgh couldn't align correctly,
but again physically pushed around. And yeah, Baltimore's often hasn't
(22:53):
been the same without Lamar using his legs. But I
don't know what's to stop them from just diald Derreck
Henry for thirty.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
Carries in this game exactly.
Speaker 5 (23:01):
I don't really see why that would not be an
option for them. This is a big number for this rivalry.
This is this is a robbery. It's like three points
in either direction. For years and years, this gives three points.
I only Pittsburgh has that voodoo anymore, crack where you
just take them in this in this spot and move
it along. Where Tomlin whenever the Steelers are out is
(23:22):
when you bet him right plus five and a half
plus six on the road against you just take him.
But it's it's time. It's time for Tomlin to go.
Is not a talented team. They're not playing well. You
under they have six ones right now, under eight and
a half wins on Ben MGM early this week was
like minus two ten, Like they don't think they're gonna
win three more games this season. They're crack. They're they're
(23:46):
not going They're not going five hundred this season. This
is the end for Mike Tomlin and Pittsburgh.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
Yeah, I know you said it right about the this
rival Tomlin and Harbor. I've gone had to head thirty
two times, and twenty six of the thirty two have
been this by one score, So I think this one
comes down to the wire. Also a grind out type
of game. I mean, this is a big game. Actually,
I know it's six and six teams, but it's actually
a big game. Winner takes the front seat in the
AFC AFC North Race. So both of these teams have
(24:15):
been all over the place this year. How many times
have we said this year like to bet against the
Steelers a season wins games. I mean, it just they're
so inconsistent. And I guess you could say the same
thing about Baltimore. The Ravens have really lacked any kind
of explosive plays this season. Besides a Flowers, they just
don't have any real deep threats. And you know they
(24:40):
have a defense to worry but they've also blown alat
of leads this season. We're really poor defense. So and
then you go back to the other side of the
Steelers offense. It's just been terrible this last couple of weeks.
Bad offensive line, Rogers playing from a shotgun like almost
every play. He hasn't completely passive over twenty yards like
(25:00):
a month. I mean, but I do expect a close
one here, but one of those like twenty one seventeenth
type of games comes down to last possession.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
I don't know what's going on in the state of Pennsylvania,
but think about this one thing applying to this game.
The Steelers have the highest paid defense and they stink
like it's not a good defense.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
At all.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
And the Eagles they have the highest paid offense.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
And they're very ordinary right now. So it's kind of
random how that works. How do you have the highest
paid and you're either bad or just completely average right now?
Speaker 1 (25:32):
The steel Curtains, I know.
Speaker 5 (25:34):
It, yeah, because look TJ. Watt is just's he's just
not good right now. Like he's just reached a point
where whenever you're paying them, it's not it's too much.
He's not producing at the level. And look, as guys
get older, they tend to age out. And maybe it's
(25:56):
the time where Wade ages out. But last week he
didn't touch Josh Allen. Bills were playing backup offensive tackles.
You gotta show up, gotsh up those moments. Look, Chris
Jones has paid a lot of money for the Chiefs
and their games where he just might not be there,
But there are games where it's like he's dominating the game. TJ.
Want's not doing that anymore. Not do that anymore.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
The highest non quarterback position.
Speaker 5 (26:19):
Sacks by the way the Browns by the Titans today.
I don't know if we'll cover that game.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
I did Miles Garrett Man, do you know.
Speaker 5 (26:25):
What Miles Garrett is to get one sacked today, Oh gosh,
I one sacked today?
Speaker 4 (26:31):
Oh god, minus I don't know. Is it getting close
to one thousand?
Speaker 1 (26:35):
I don't know it was.
Speaker 5 (26:36):
The last I checked on Thursday was minus five hundred.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
Yeah, like that one sack, crack, that's.
Speaker 5 (26:42):
Pretty good value.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
The other side plus fifty it was.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
Unfortunately, there's a one way markets and uh, two sacks
was even money, even money for two thousand two false?
Like he might get he can hit the cornerback, he
can knocked the quarterback down twice. Yet one and a
half sacks or get or get one total sack combined. Right,
he might get two half sacks. But to even money
for two sacks today against Tennessee, I know it's wild,
(27:09):
probably gets four anyways.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
It defies logic.
Speaker 4 (27:13):
He's got nineteen sacks this season, and cam Ward has
been sacked forty eight times.
Speaker 5 (27:18):
Oh, it's gonna be a bloodbath today in a game
that I don't know if anyone's gonna watch, but I'm
sure whatever happened to this game will have very normal
discussion about Shirurf Sanders. So that's all that that is
very very important. We have very normal discussion about sir Sanders, that's.
Speaker 4 (27:32):
A chadur and the college football playoff, who's in, who's out?
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Very level headed.
Speaker 5 (27:38):
I do not think he'll be the Browns quarterback next season.
The Browns quarterback was probably playing last night the bit
that championship game. I saw people compare Mendoza to like, uh,
like a like a cracked out Kirk Cousins, Like cousins,
you're mathters, we're freaking champions, like just like I actually
would I kind of like I would, just I wish
(28:00):
you would have said that word right, she done it?
Like just just say it, dude, just just do it.
Just why not.
Speaker 4 (28:05):
I've grown to love the guy because I remember I
said this on the show after the Iowa game. He
was interviewed on the field, and it really was. It
was the white Russell Wilson, you know, it was the
guys we gave, we gave one hundred and ten percent
and we rallied around each other and it's like, oh
my gosh, man like and somehow he's grown on me.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
I'm with Mendza.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
I generally don't like that from my quarterback. I kind
of like a little bit of like f you a
little bit like I kind of liked the homes. I
like the Sanders man. If you're not cocky, back back
it up like following me.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
Sure.
Speaker 5 (28:40):
I love Signetti, who was like the cockiest coach ever.
He would smile after they won yesterday because he knew
they were gonna win.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Love.
Speaker 5 (28:45):
I love it so much, but you got to back
it up, right, You just have to back it up.
That's it. Just back it up.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
Well.
Speaker 4 (28:50):
You mentioned J TJ. Watt not living up to his contract.
They're paying him too much money. You can't pay Isaac
Loehenkron enough, right, always living up to his dollar dollar value.
If you will, I low with us here and he's
got the latest.
Speaker 8 (29:07):
You can't pay me enough, but you can try. I
will wholeheartedly accept that. By the way, I need to
hire you as my agent there, Brian, good stuff.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
I'm Availa shit, got you? I low all right?
Speaker 8 (29:20):
I'll hit you up after the show. Getting ready to
be hit up twelve lucky teams and several ones that
are going to complain because we are just an hour
and twenty four minutes away from the college football playoff
selection show. Last night, at the Big Ten Championship game,
we had number two Indiana knocking off number one Ohio
(29:41):
State thirteen to ten as the Hoosiers held the Buckeye
scoreless in the second half for a thirteen and oero
record in Indiana's first outright Big Ten football championship since
nineteen forty five. At the ACC Championship game on Saturday night,
Dupe knocked off number seventeen Virginia in overtime twenty seven
to twenty for Duke's first ACC football championship since nineteen
(30:04):
eighty nine, and again. College football playoff selection show gets
underway some one hour and twenty three minutes from now.
Fans all across social media are preparing themselves, including at
Bobby Digital two, who posted quote, if you have a
strong opinion of what the twelve people who watched conference
(30:25):
title games on eighteen inch TVs in crappy chairs and
bad catering are gonna do today, please go take a walk.
They will do whatever the hell they want with no
logic behind it, and that's always been the cakes unquote,
an optimistic take from at Bobby Digital two. Finally, in
the NFL Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay did
(30:47):
not travel with the team to Arizona yesterday due to illness.
He is expected to travel there separately and will be
on the sideline for today's game against the Cardinals. And
don't count on seeing him in boarding Group B for
the eight to twenty Southwest flight from Burbank to Phoenix.
He is expected to travel via private plane, though that
would have been cool if he was flying on Southwest.
(31:11):
Who's that guy in the middle seed muttering about football formations?
Speaker 4 (31:14):
Back to you, guys, Thank you, I lo It is

and subscribe. How about Commanders at the vikings today? And
now the commanders are one and a half point road
of favorites. Jaden Daniels is back, the commander's quarterback is
back after that nasty elbow injury. And I'm curious to
what you guys think about this, because this is.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
A little bit of a Burrow thing. You know, Joe
Burrow is back.
Speaker 3 (31:57):
Now.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
The Bengals do technically have a chance to sneak into
the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
Washington does not.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
And there are arguments out there like why bring Jaden
Daniels back? Why risk risk further injury? Why get a
worse draft pick potentially?
Speaker 3 (32:11):
Why?
Speaker 1 (32:11):
And it's like, players play man.
Speaker 4 (32:13):
This is the thing that I think, And Jeff you
could speak to this as a former NFL player. It's
not just about putting your franchise quarterback in bubble wrap
and making sure he doesn't get hurt and maybe getting
a better draft pick. It's about building a winning culture.
What kind of culture are you building? If Jaden Daniels
is healthy enough to play and you just shut him down,
(32:35):
you're sending a message that that guy special and you
guys aren't.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Is that a winning culture right there?
Speaker 4 (32:41):
Like, if you don't have a winning culture, it doesn't
matter that you get a higher draft pick. I like
that the commanders are bringing them back, get him out there,
let him play. You're starting to build momentum going forward,
and I think that's exactly what you should be doing.
And hopefully he doesn't get hurt and you regress, but
I think it's a risk worth taking.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Think about this, Jeff.
Speaker 5 (33:02):
I love the Commanders today. They will make my crack challenge.
I got him at one and a half this week,
but plus one and a half before it moved a
little bit. I mean, you know, negligible, but you know
they lose by a point, I'll win the bet. So
the thing about bringing Daniels back is the same thing
is about Burrow. It's the hope of winning a game. Right,
(33:25):
the Commanders need to win in the worst way. Well,
they've lost five in a row. They've lost, They've lost
a decent amount of games in a row, and they
battle their butts off against the Broncos. Right, and Mariota
is good and what he does right now, his current job,
he's not good at like being. I think an NFL
starting quarterback in general. Janales makes that throw to win
(33:47):
that game, and Mariota just didn't. Right, the ball got
batted down at the end. And having him back in
this game will rejuvenate the entire team, It really will.
It'll get them so excited to play. Look, they're not
I know that we think they are, but they're not
eliminated yet. I've been on bad teams, you still think
you can win. You still think our quarterback's coming back.
(34:09):
We have a chance, we have a chance. We have
a chance. And I think Minnesota's going the other direction
because their court situation is so bad right now that
McCarthy's playing or Broseburg, to me, doesn't matter. They're just
going backwards as Minnesota. So crack. I like the Commanders here.
I like the idea of bringing Daniels back, start playing
for this year, but also start playing for next year.
(34:32):
They win this game and they cover this game. Commander
is one of my favorite of the week.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
Yeah, this is one that was supposed to be like
a big late season matchup, but two teams fighting for
playoff position. This might be the two biggest appointments disappointments
of the season. Vikings put all their eggs in JJ
McCarthy basket and that's just been disastrous. Washington expected another
big year from Jayden Daniels just hasn't been able to
stay healthy. Washington. This did show some heart last week
(35:00):
in the overtime lost at Denver, but do they have
anything left in the tank, you know, I just don't know.
They get Daniels back today with chicken maboose, but I
expect the Vikings to blitz some the entire game, so
he'll be on the run, needing to protect himself for sure.
McCarthy also back under center their fan base, hoping that
he can protect himself better too. But Jesus, he has
(35:20):
looked horrible this season. The Vikings just so upsetting this
year for the fan base.
Speaker 7 (35:27):
Me.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
Our future is just terrible. So we'll see what happens.
Speaker 4 (35:31):
Good point crack, Yeah, Commanders three and nine, Vikings four
and eight, And we thought very highly of both team
heading into the season and that worked out. We've got
Bill Krachenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran.
I'm Brian No coming up next to parlay platter, which
have one selection for you. We pull it together for
(35:53):
a greater payout.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
We'll trade notes.
Speaker 4 (35:56):
Coming up next, it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to
Kickoff presented by Bette. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown

Speaker 1 (36:24):
All right, let's do this.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
Check this out, ar late letter.
Speaker 5 (36:30):
Ah.
Speaker 4 (36:30):
Yes, the platter which have one selection for you. We
pull it together for a greater payout crack and we
start with you, k man, what do you like?
Speaker 3 (36:38):
Yeah, a rare NFL side for me? For the platter today,
bet MGM has an eight and a half. That's why
at the New Orleans Saints plus eight and a half
over Tampa Bay, I look for LOWD total. I look
for New Orleans to keep it a little bit closer
than a touchdown here. So New Orleans Saints plus the
points is my portion of the plot.
Speaker 5 (36:58):
All right, okay, where are you going? Are you doing A?
I can't. I have a few choices here in my head.
I'm just curious which one I should go with here. Yeah,
I'll do the one I feel I think the most
stronger than about give me the Chiefs under twenty three
and a half points today against the Houston Texans. Their
(37:19):
offensive line is a disaster. Heading of this game. They're
about down both tackles and the right guard. And yeah,
they have one comparable competent that tackle of placeman Jalen Moore.
He's legitimate, Like, he's fine, they'll be fine with him.
But the other one is not good. And I think
they're gonna be an a ward of hurt in this game.
(37:39):
I think it's gonna they're just not going to score.
They can win, you know, seventeen thirteen something like that,
seventeen sixteen, something like that. They're just not going to
score points this game, right, So give me Chiefs under
twenty three and a half points.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
Okay, I like that.
Speaker 4 (37:55):
It's yes, these things called offensive tackles kind of important,
right that in the.
Speaker 5 (38:00):
Super Bowl and a little bit, yeah, just a little.
Speaker 4 (38:03):
Bit facing a nasty defense, Yeah, I could see why
you would go under on the team total. I'm gonna
take my guy Bjon Robinson, give me his receiving yards
over thirty eight and a half. They're going up against
a Seahawks defense really good against the rush, not good
covering running backs out of the backfield. They gotta get
Bjon Robinson involved. He's the major they he's the engine
(38:25):
of their offense, so they gotta throw it to him,
and going over thirty eight and a half receiving yards
is more than doable. I like this prop, so I'm
gonna take Bijon over thirty eight and a half. If
you pool all of these selections together, it's plus five
point fifty seven, so we're approaching six to one. Jeff's got,
you know, the Chiefs team total under twenty three and
(38:47):
a half. Crack with the Saints little who dad action
plus eight and a half.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
I'll go with Bijon over thirty eight and a half
receiving yards. I think we've got a fighting chance at
this one here, guys.
Speaker 5 (38:59):
The other option me was Jacksonville, who I think is
gonna beat the Colts, and I do Okay, I said
that number, So that's what about? Oh, crack, I gotta you
know the Saints. One of the I think I sent
you a text matches about someone in the space who
picked the Saints today based off a player playing the game.
Speaker 3 (39:18):
I was, I was.
Speaker 5 (39:20):
I was. I was surprised because when I announced about games,
I tend to know who's playing who's not. But to
give a pick on the internet about a game and
build a whole thing around a player who's not playing,
is quite Yeah, people pay people supposed to pay for.
Speaker 3 (39:35):
That person makes like three hundred thousand a year talking
about games.
Speaker 5 (39:39):
Probably Yeah, it doesn't know who's playing and not playing. Crazy,
So what interestry you were in? Guys, what injury were in?
Speaker 1 (39:44):
I love how you say that someone who's in the space.
Speaker 3 (39:48):
Yeah, in the space. I'm trying to be nice because
it's not those they'll say I'm picking on a certain.
Speaker 5 (39:52):
I mean, I just I'm not big. I just want
if you're going to talk about a game, at least
have the players who are playing in the game as
part of your game like that. I just it feels
like an easy ask, you know, like injury reports are
readily available. If you're gonna build an argument around why
thing's gonna cover based on a player who's not playing,
I'm just gonna beat the other side, like automatically bet
the other side, which is what I'm gonna do. Got
(40:14):
some money in an account somewhere, We're gonna do the
that account. It's just it's gonna happen. People help you
do that. To meet you. I sucked this year, Please
fade me do it to me too, but please, but
like I don't know, that's that's what.
Speaker 4 (40:26):
I will say, though, Jeff. The silver lining is that
player is on the team. You know what I mean
that From time to time, we know, right, it does happen.
They'll say they'll break down this player who plays for
a different team. That that happens as well sometimes. So yeah,
I can't get a little bit dicey over here in
these streets.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
All right?
Speaker 4 (40:44):
Coming up next defense optional in this game might be
a wild one and we'll compare notes with.
Speaker 1 (40:51):
That game coming up next? Oh, what is going on?
Speaker 4 (40:54):
Happy Week fourteen, Happy Sunday to you, so we get
you all set for a full day of NFL ball.
Of course, the college football playoff?
Speaker 5 (41:06):
How are you killing, Brian.
Speaker 1 (41:09):
Dicey?
Speaker 5 (41:09):
Those who are new here, Brian is a Notre Dame fan,
so shrip a South Bend. Yes, no bandwagon fan fandom
over here.
Speaker 4 (41:17):
No born and bred. But it's it's down to what
thirteen people and.
Speaker 3 (41:22):
What things will use.
Speaker 1 (41:23):
Well now, right, well, you were down to twelve, okay.
Speaker 5 (41:26):
To step away, I think, and they added one back.
Maybe I don't.
Speaker 4 (41:29):
I don't know if it's a Baker's dozen or just
a dozen I'm really not sure, but uh, it's down
to how are many people? It's whatever they think.
Speaker 5 (41:36):
I'm sure listening to the show right now, ask themselves
like we gotta we gotta make sure Brian is good together.
Speaker 4 (41:41):
Oh man, Yeah, like these these playoff predictor models where
it's like Notre Dame ninety five percent?
Speaker 3 (41:47):
How is the lock?
Speaker 4 (41:48):
It's down to twelve people and what they think? How
do you have a read on them? Like, what are
we doing here?
Speaker 3 (41:55):
But I never used that word it's a lock? Yeah,
look at twenty to one.
Speaker 4 (42:00):
Yes, man, Wow, Yeah, I just hope they were in.
I'm gonna have a nervous breakdown on the air.
Speaker 5 (42:05):
What's the what's the highest, what's the what's the most
like the highest money line? You've ever played? I know
we talked about Oregon Colorado when you played, So.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
That was it.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
It was that Oregon game. It was that Oregon situation.
I drove around town. Everyone was in love with uh
Colorado right there, and and and they just kept on.
Everyone was betting money line, Joe Public's we're all betting
the money line, just hoping for her, for them to
just continue their little streak there and they ran into
the powerhouse there and seven to one, and that was
(42:37):
that was actually a thinking about it now, and I
never usually put any thought into things like I never
usually put any thought into things bankroll wise like this.
I usually never say wow. I usually never say like,
I may have well, I don't want to even admit this,
I may have bet too much in relation to my
(42:58):
bankroll thinking of how much money I had at risk there.
I mean I just showed you guys one ticket. I
already had two different bets on that. So the risk
exposure to my bankroll, my gambling bank roll, my betting
bankroll was probably not it was, yeah, it was. It
(43:20):
was more than the two percent that I usually i'll
keep my bets, you know, in line, I don't even
bet that probably one one fifth of one percent that now.
But but at the time, and because you were laying
so much money, I mean that last pet, wasn't it
like I don't remember. It wasn't like thirty five thousand
the winner, I don't remember, but it was like a
(43:40):
crazy amount. But it was like, I don't want to
say easy money, and that's never easy money.
Speaker 5 (43:45):
I was that was ended up being being pretty easy day. Yeah,
that would give me a hard palpitations.
Speaker 3 (43:54):
Right, yeah, that would be like having to go to
your life say listen, I'm sorry about this. I got
to just take this money, you know, out of here
and I'll replace it back. And what if you don't
you know.
Speaker 5 (44:04):
Right right, right, yeah, I mean I was just sure
you if you had done like that, you know, like
the fek the four thousand producer.
Speaker 3 (44:10):
Never right, no, no, no, that was the highest it
was that. It was that bet. I don't bet money
lines laying prices. I'm on the other side of that.
As a matter of fact. You're bringing up a very
uh sensitive subject for me. I'man I was in New York.
I was at my buddy Teddy Allas's charity event a
few weeks ago, the week before Thanksgiving. I get a
(44:31):
text from one of my main guys. He says, hey,
can you bet Duke to win the ACC Championship at
one hundred to one? If you can bet that, it's
a really good bet. So now I go back and
I look, I had to go back yesterday and look
at the actual wording of It's so embarrassing. I was
at the dinner and being out the dinner in New
(44:53):
York was so much more important to me than been
betting Duke at one hundred. Oh, I know why it
was eighty to one. I even said to him, well,
eighty one, you still think it's okay? He goes, yes,
the fair value is twenty five to one. Eighty to
one's good. I'm just so embarrassed that I did not bet,
Maybe because I wasn't in Vegas. Maybe how can I
not bet this for myself? You know, you could have
(45:13):
locked up money. I'm not one the hedge, but when
you're betting an eighty to one shot, Yes, if you've
bet one hundred bucks to win eight thousand, you're supposed
to bet something the other way to hedge to lock
up a couple thousand bucks. It's probably the most One
of the most embarrassing things I've ever done in my
sports betting career was to and it didn't even matter
if Duke to won or a loss, didn't matter because
(45:35):
I would have had something. So just to see that
now I know. I probably didn't even text you, guys.
I was sitting in a restaurant, a great Italian restaurant
in Howard Beach, and when I got the text, and
I was like, come on, guys, this leave me alone.
Let me let me enjoy some pasta back home, you know,
you know, I mean I swear, I swear, and then
(45:57):
they then just to get there, they had a miracle
to get there, and then they have to win it.
I mean, this was really upset. So there you go.
That down on the other side of that taking the
eighty to one. By the way, was that at BETMGM.
And it's funny. I actually was texting with Christian when
I was there and saying, hey, Christian, I A you doing?
How do you get this money over to New York
(46:19):
from wal from Nevada? So it was like a and
it was easier than I thought. It's so easy now
now I'm going back and forth to the teesiast as anything.
Speaker 5 (46:27):
But I used to switch to the state you're in.
Speaker 3 (46:32):
It's so easy. I didn't know it. You go to
the bottom of the app, switch to the state you want.
It takes about five seconds for your money to go
from the bed MGM location in Nevada to New York.
It does it by itself. You don't have to press anything.
So yeah, God cost myself a lot of money there.
Speaker 1 (46:50):
I hate to hear that crack.
Speaker 3 (46:51):
I hate hey.
Speaker 4 (46:52):
Throughout the entire football season, bet MGM will offer all
different types of no sweat tokens and odds booze tokens.
Be on the lookout for no sweat same game parlay tokens,
parlay boost tokens, and so much more. Let's dive into
the Bengals and the Bills. The Bills favored by six points.
The total is creeping up there. Man, we're up to
what fifty four and a half right now?
Speaker 3 (47:12):
Yeah, fifty five? Just went to it.
Speaker 1 (47:14):
I went up to fifty five just.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
Seeing fifty and a half. It was when I woke up.
What just happened? By the way, five points come on? Yeah,
jesus wow.
Speaker 4 (47:23):
What's interesting is the first half total. I almost added
this to the parlay platter. The first half total is
still stuck at twenty six and a half either it
hasn't adjusted, right.
Speaker 3 (47:35):
Boy.
Speaker 5 (47:36):
Interesting because of the weather right like, it's snowing there
and I know it's not raining or windy, which obviously
we've talked about many times. Is a reason why you
would have been under for a game. By the way,
the under, I know, crack you like this one. The
under in Jacksonville is plummeting because of the weather. It's
supposed to rain a bunch in Jacksonville.
Speaker 3 (47:57):
We send that team, guys, you guys get that in
on here.
Speaker 5 (47:59):
I got it, and Ben and Jim had a great
number at forty six. It was forty four and a
half at some places I saw. So the thing is, guys,
with weather, it's wind man. Wind is is way way
more important than precipitation. Obviously, if it's super rainy, it's
gonna affect things, guys. But the wind man, if you
see wind is when you bet the under on something snow.
(48:22):
To me, this game has snow. You can play the
snowy domes. The Bills played in the snow. The Bengals play.
They played a playff game in the snow, if you
recall a few years ago in Buffalo. I look, this
game is fascinating to me because the Bills defense is
not good. As we know. They can't stop the run.
But the Bengals don't want to run the ball. So
what so like what Chase Brown better?
Speaker 1 (48:44):
Chase Brown's been better.
Speaker 4 (48:45):
It's given them they just don't want to do They
just don't want to right, Yeah, And.
Speaker 5 (48:51):
So I'm just so curious to see sort of like
what like what what gives out here? Which of the
the things? And look, the Bengals defense is not good either,
and they know the the basically Buffalo has gotten to
like a Josh Allen yolo type of like they got
Josh Allen's got to make all the place for them offensively.
So a very fascinating game. They're obviously very important for
the playoff picture in both of these of these divisions.
Speaker 4 (49:15):
By the way, just to kind of like bring your
point home here, Jeff, where if you look at if
you look at these rushing defenses, they're both awful. The
Bills are thirtieth against the rush. The Bengals are thirty
first against the rush, so no one's stopping the running
game at all. But the thing here is how the
Bills want to run the ball and how the Bengals
just kind of dabble in it. James Cook's rushing prop
(49:38):
is one oh three and a half and Chase Brown's
rushing prop is forty nine and a half. So it
just shows you the commitment to the running game with
the Bills much more than the Bengals. But something to
keep in mind. But neither neither rush defenses are any
good whatsoever.
Speaker 1 (49:53):
They're both really bad.
Speaker 3 (49:54):
Let me tell you guys something about snow. It's something
I never really talked about on media, but it's kind
of out there a little bit. But that was one
of the greatest situations in my life that I've made
some money. I remember a decade ago in New England.
My god, So the cameras come on the game and
it's showing the preview of the game, what's going to happen,
(50:14):
and you see a snowplow on the sideline. You see
snow coming down, but it's not like a foot of
snow on the field. It's just they're piling it up
into big snow banks on the sidelines. And what happens
The public overreacts, Oh my god, I got a bit
under and they some of these games I've watched move three, four,
(50:36):
five points downward. So I'm not saying I don't actually
know the weather over there today if you're that kind
of but snow can lead to more scoring. And why
light snow especially should receivers know where they're going, they
can make the cuts that defenders have problems with that.
The receivers know what's that.
Speaker 5 (50:58):
Look to you talking ball this.
Speaker 3 (51:00):
No, I'm just saying no, right, you're right, the public
doesn't realize that though the public doesn't realize that that
it's so true. And then also there's kind of you know,
there's turnovers involved too, and there's but people just think
the exact opposite of what snow leads to. But this game, however,
(51:22):
like I said, this moved up like four points, four
and a half points today, big one today though between
these two six and you know, I gotta tell you
there is just I'm sorry that was this is there
not six to six teams. But let me just tell
you something about snow situation here. Ready, I pulled up
something because I knew we were going to talk about
(51:42):
snow at sometime this season. All right, So ready for this.
Fourteen of nineteen games, the last nineteen games that moved
two or more points to the under because of snow
has won over fourteen and five. That's as far as
this little this record here that I have is. So
(52:05):
it's it's really unbelievable that that people just bet under
all the time. But I don't see this game in
the background. I don't have an eye. I don't know
what kind of snow is predicted. But we're talking now.
It's only the beginning of December, so let's look for
even into next month, the next three four weeks. Keep
that in mind. If you see snow on the sidelines,
(52:28):
keep that in mind that that people are going to
let the game go under and move under and you
want to bet over fourteen and five last nineteen games.
And I usually don't like talking about trends, but this
is not really a trend. This is just factual about
a snow situation, has nothing to do with the programs
that are involved in the same teams.
Speaker 5 (52:48):
The thing you mentioned, though, is super important to note
in bad weather, not wind, In rain and snow, the
advantage is on us on offense because we know where
we're going, so we can adjust footwork, We can adjust
things to get it right. Defense is a reactionary position, right,
(53:09):
They got to react to what we're doing. Their footing
tends to be a little bit worse than our footing.
Our pass protection is a lot better when it's like
when that's why we like grass so much too, Like
a wet grass, Sign me up for that. This great
great for offensive lignement. Right like that we have we're
big and fat and have small movements. Defensive linemen have
to have to move all quick and they're gonna get
They're just gonna slip and fall like it's great. So
(53:30):
I again, wind takes a variable out because you can't
throw the ball in the wind, right as we know.
So that's worth noting when some of these weather these
weather games.
Speaker 3 (53:39):
How Jeff, how about that freezing cold like Buffalo and
the just.
Speaker 5 (53:43):
It just it just it just sucks.
Speaker 3 (53:45):
But it's not you've played up there in Buffalo, of
course not and.
Speaker 5 (53:49):
Not when it's been that cold. By playing in Buffalo.
Speaker 3 (53:50):
Yeah, okay, so not but not that freezing cold. I see.
Speaker 5 (53:54):
I mean I went to see the Chiefs and Bills
playing the Division A round game that went over and
it was cold. It was ten degrees. I mean it
was the cold's fine as long as it's not windy.
The cold is fine unless the Dolphins, who don't want
to play in the cold. But like otherwise, like it's
not a big deal the cold. I mean even that
Packers Niners playoff game years ago, remember they ever had
to wear sleeves. It was like deathly cold if you
(54:15):
were like exposed to the open air. For everyone is
scored in that game, like you can score in the cold.
It's it's a matter of the win. The wind really
affects a lot of things.
Speaker 3 (54:24):
Yeah, how about this, you guys were saying one of
you guys, I think, I think Brian said it. The
Bengals here, they're four and eight, and I didn't I
did not realize that. They have to tell you, I
didn't knowize that had a shot for the playoffs. It's
hard to believe, but I know, I guess the Bengals
do have a shot for the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (54:43):
It's an outside shot. It's just the division. The division
is that bad.
Speaker 3 (54:47):
The division is that bad. Yeah, have a chance. But
Josh Allen should get back to you know, should Uh?
This is like one of his favorite targets here kincaide,
so he's supposed to give it a go today and
along with to their starting right tackle. Also I see
his back. But again, interesting that this game a total
one up so high. And there's no way I could
(55:08):
bet over fifty five in any game anyway, There's no way.
It's impossible for me to bet over. With beautiful sunshine,
rainbows and lollipops around, I am not betting over so
it's under or nothing for me.
Speaker 1 (55:21):
Interesting.
Speaker 4 (55:22):

it is time for the Tireraq Play of.
Speaker 5 (56:16):
The Day and Mendoza takes the snap, wants to throw it,
fires it down the field. It's free.
Speaker 4 (56:21):
Elijah Soroati makes the catch touch step.
Speaker 5 (56:26):
You like the serete.

the snap saying back to throw again.
Speaker 4 (56:36):
Pressure Calms rolls to his right, tries to run with it,
throws it down the field and.
Speaker 1 (56:41):
Is tipped up in the air.
Speaker 5 (56:45):
And that's the ball game right there.
Speaker 3 (56:50):
There.
Speaker 4 (56:51):

Follow the money, real good money.
Speaker 4 (57:17):
That's right, our main man, Christian Cipolini, Bet MGM, Senior
Trading Manager.
Speaker 1 (57:23):
Good morning to you, Christian.
Speaker 4 (57:24):
Okay, So the college football playoff teams are about to
be announced here in the next little more than a
half hour.
Speaker 1 (57:32):
Do you have anything writing on it?
Speaker 4 (57:33):
Any big desires like who's in who's out that would
benefit bet MGM or any hardcore personal stances like Bama
should be out. I want a hardcore Sippolini stance here
if you have one, is Christian with us? What's that now?
Sorry we didn't have you at the beginning. What were
(57:54):
you saying now?
Speaker 6 (57:57):
A strong personal say? I'd love to see you and
I just think it's kind of cool when you know,
a lower tier school kind of gets in like that.
So that's the only one there. From the books perspective,
this actually has been a really great season from the book,
just because Ohio State has been the odds on favorite
all throughout the year, so they're the most bet on team.
(58:18):
But because there was such favor we didn't take. That's
on a liability and then chaos everywhere else basically throughout
the season has left the book in a pretty good
spot where we don't have a ton of liability. Miami
is the last loan one where we have a lot
of liability on, so seeing Miami out would be the
book's best outcome. But I'm not so sure. What'll what'll happen?
Speaker 5 (58:38):
Seven unders in the Conforenceampiship games, all seven went under.
That probably was a good, good few guys. Well, a
question on Bowl games and the lines you guys put up.
So I've already add some games I'm looking to wager on.
I think it's a good opportunity to wager on bowl
games if you sort of have an idea on the
team's motivation, who's opting out, who's opting in. How do
(58:59):
you guys handle some of that information because obviously, like
I pay attention to a lot of schools and I'm
trying to pounce on some of these lines pretty early.
Speaker 6 (59:08):
Yeah, I would say bowl games, Week eighteen and the
last day of the NBA regular season are a few
of the days so that I really don't like in trading,
and Bowl games are certainly a part of it because
kind of what you mentioned there, there's certainly a ton
of opportunity if you are in the know and you
have some sort of inside of information, just because you
(59:30):
never know which players are going to play, what's going
to happen. You know, some teams are motivated, some teams
are not motivated at all, and that makes it really
difficult to trade and create prices. So yeah, I mean
it's just not one I look forward to.
Speaker 5 (59:45):
Well, you have them up. Will you have Bowl games
up today?
Speaker 6 (59:48):
Once they start gett announced, Yeah, we'll start posting them,
so yeah, basically once they start get announced. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (59:55):
Hey, buddy, let me ask you a question. You have
any of these seventy five sending games today like that
the seventy percent of your money's on one side. No,
they've they've been good to bet against. And uh, you know,
you know, min we don't, you know what I say
about God and the book makers. So but there's some
big spreads today, some eight and a half and eights.
And I just didn't know if you had any any
(01:00:17):
of those big dogs that you're getting like seventy five
percent or more of the money on the favorites.
Speaker 4 (01:00:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:00:22):
I know now people are listening and waiting for this
part of the segment, I guess, but yeah, we do.
We do have a couple today. One is the Browns
against the Titans. We're approaching eighty percent on the Browns. Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:00:38):
Yeah, it's unbelievable.
Speaker 6 (01:00:39):
I think we kind of mentioned last week. You know,
the Browns are obviously not I haven't been good this season.
The defense is really good, but that Titans team has
been really weak all year. So we're just really not
writing any action there. And then the other game that
we're at eighty percent is Rams Cardinals. You know, Cardinals,
all kind of injuries all over place. The percent has
looked better. The Rams has been a team where we're
(01:00:59):
getting I've been getting a ton of bets throughout this season,
so we're already over eighty percent on the Rams today.
Those are the two big ones. The next one that
I would say is closest would be Bucks Saints, where
we're getting a lot more bug baction, but that's about
seventy a little bit maybe a little bit more getting close.
Speaker 3 (01:01:18):
I didn't expect Cleveland. I don't think we all did
clean Wow. Wow, you know what it is just that Tennessee.
I think you're rooting for Tennessee every single week of
the season. I really do.
Speaker 6 (01:01:31):
Yeah, we really have been. I mean it's the way
it's gone to They you know, really haven't covered a
ton of games either, So at this point the season,
after seeing twelve games of them, nobody has much confidence
and they'd rather take the Brown. So from to this point, yeah, how.
Speaker 4 (01:01:47):
About this, I'm curious what kind of action you've gotten
on the Bears Packers game, because Green Bay favored by
six and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:01:54):
To me, it's just it's an.
Speaker 4 (01:01:56):
Inflated line that screams, don't take the Bears by I'm curious,
like what type of tickets you've drawn in with the
point spread that high in a divisional game like this,
when the Bears are the one seed right now and
you've got a big disagreement, right, some people are screaming
that they're fugazy. So what has the money looked like
when they're that big of an underdog this week?
Speaker 6 (01:02:18):
Yeah, this one's definitely an interesting one to look at.
You're right, So the line the one seed usually shouldn't
be six and a half point dogs in a game, right,
So the line is pretty interesting and probably telling you
a good amount of where we're putting the Bears. But
so on a money line, we're actually taking a lot
of Bears action, which is not frequent for a six
(01:02:39):
and a half point dog. But I guess there is
a lot of people out there saying that the six
and a half is just way wrong and the Bears
are better, and I'll just take them right up. On
the money line. The spread we are a little bit
more mixed, a little bit closer to fifty to fifty,
but a little bit still leaning more towards the Packers.
About fifty five percent interaction on the spread come to
the Packers, but sixty five percent of our moneyline action
(01:03:03):
is on the Bears, So read them out, is what
you will.
Speaker 5 (01:03:09):
The money line action on the Bears is that. Wow,
that's that's really high.
Speaker 6 (01:03:13):
That's very rare for us to get something like that.
But there must be a lot of people just saying
this is way off. And I like the Bears.
Speaker 5 (01:03:19):
You guys and everyone else just can't quit the Chiefs
for some reason. I get I get the DV away,
I get the EPA, I get all of it. I
watch every Chief snap. I sure if DV always says
they're fifth, I get it. I don't know. They don't
play the fifth best team in the NFL. But three
and a half again, feels like every week for the Chiefs.
Three and a half. What do you see in the
action for the for for Sunday Football.
Speaker 6 (01:03:43):
Yeah, this one's it for him. Really, We've had a
few games this week that are really deciding the playoff futures,
and this is certainly for the Chiefs. They basically have
to win this game and they're going to make the playoffs,
which probably is a bit wise that this line is
about it three and a half. But as of right now,
the you know, we're gonna to take us a little
bit to get our full action in this game. But
right now we're we have more Texans action, about fifty
(01:04:05):
five to sixty percent of the Texans. So right now
a lot of the betting are with.
Speaker 3 (01:04:10):
You, Christian. This kind of a year where there's no
standout teams. You know here we built the Buffalo is
the best team pre flop before the end of before
the season. Then now a couple of weeks ago, I said, well,
I guess Philadelphia is a team to beat, and they
lose too in a row. So Kansas City, Detroit. This
type of a year. How are you guys? How do
(01:04:31):
you stand on futures? I would think this is a
big future year for the book because of these teams
that were big favorites are not the big favorites that
they were at the beginning of the season. How do
you guys stand?
Speaker 6 (01:04:45):
Yeah, exactly kind of what I mentioned. In college football,
this type of kind of chaos and really not sure
of who's going to win is always a pretty good
thing for the book. You know, take the Chiefs for example,
there's still one of our most bet on teams, top
three most bet on because all pre season, all before
the season, you know, we took a ton of Chiefs
money running up like we do every single year. But
(01:05:08):
now they've fallen out of it, we've taken less action
even you know, at the price of they're ast same
with like the Ravens. That was a team that we
took a ton of money on, but they've dropped and
dropped in the ratings and their odds have dropped too.
So people got all those teams at a worse prices
than they are now, right, oh, exactly exactly. So everybody
(01:05:29):
that got the Chiefs, that got them there plus five
hundred plus six hundred, and they're not as willing to
now bet on it plus seventeen hundred. They've already wagered
on them earlier.
Speaker 3 (01:05:36):
So you work up of the book. You guys have
the Rams favorite, like, is there plus four fifty to
win a Super Bowl? Is there any exposure that if
the Rams do win the Super Bowl? Because is that
one of your Maybe I'll give you another one. I
see here the Seattle's the second choice. I just when
I see that second choice Seattle, it's just I start laughing.
(01:05:58):
I mean, is there any exposure on Seattle or the
Rams that you're worried about, or even the Broncos or
not really?
Speaker 6 (01:06:07):
Yeah, right, like the Seahawk say like, you can't be
they can't stand Donald the quarterback, they can't be them.
But that's just the way this season is shaken out.
I mean, you have the Ravens, the Chiefs, who Bengals,
who have been the top of the AFC that might
not all might not even make the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
At this point when we do look.
Speaker 6 (01:06:24):
On liability, the Patriots the Broncos are two teams that
we have liability on, and recently we took a pretty
big bet on the Bears. So now the Bears are
a big liability.
Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
Spend that money. Spend it, yeah, spend that money. Jesus.
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
All right, Christian, really appreciate the time.
Speaker 6 (01:06:44):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:06:45):
Hope you have a good day. We'll catch you soon.
Speaker 6 (01:06:46):
Of course, big week, Good luck everybody.
Speaker 3 (01:06:48):
Thanks, thank you.
Speaker 4 (01:06:49):
There he is Christian Sippolini, bet MGM, Senior Trading Manager.
Speaker 1 (01:06:54):
Good stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:06:54):
As always, we go straight from Christian to Isaac Loewen,
prodde from c Seed to Island if you will.
Speaker 1 (01:07:01):
What's the latest thing.
Speaker 8 (01:07:02):
We are Brian now twenty five minutes away from the
start of the college football playoff selection show. But we
have a little appetizer for you guys because the new
AP College Football Poll has just come out. Indiana now
number one for the first time in program history, followed
by Georgia, Ohio State, Texas Tech, and Oregon. The rest
(01:07:24):
of the top ten Ole misses number six, followed by
Texas A and m Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Miami. Alabama
is eleventh, BYU twelfth, Vanderbilt thirteenth, and Texas fourteenth.
Speaker 4 (01:07:38):
That's exactly what the committee should do, I low. I
hope it's exactly like.
Speaker 5 (01:07:42):
They follow the AP poll a lot. They use that
sort of a a bell cow for them.
Speaker 1 (01:07:48):
There you go.
Speaker 8 (01:07:49):
It could be the appetizer to the entree, and we
will find out exactly what the committee has to say
some twenty five minutes from now. In the NFL, meanwhile,
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tackle Tristan Wurfs is inactive for their
game against the New Orleans Saints due to an oblique injury.
Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kim Kaid is active for
(01:08:11):
their game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He had missed the
last three games because of hamstring and knee injuries. The Bengals, meanwhile,
have officially suspended receiver Jermaine Burton for the game against
Buffalo today. They had ruled him out yesterday for non
injury reasons. He did not travel to Buffalo. Now, however,
because it's a suspension, it's technically going to cost Burton
(01:08:35):
his fifty nine thousand dollars game check. YI expect to
you guys.
Speaker 1 (01:08:41):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (01:08:42):
I lo It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff,
presented by Bett MGM. Let's dive into Colts Jacks And
there's been some line movement right here. How about India
is now favored by two and a half. Some Colts
money coming in.
Speaker 3 (01:08:56):
Here, just came in, major lion move.
Speaker 4 (01:08:58):
Kay, yeah, you agree with that, crack. I don't agree with.
Speaker 3 (01:09:02):
That, but I'm not saying agreed. I've just seen the
letting the major line move on the screen. That was
the opening number though, but then it went down. That
took some Jacksonville money and I don't know, you know,
this is one of those games where I'm just staying
away from I'm not a big fit. Not listen. I
think I would more lean to Indy than Jacksonville. I
(01:09:23):
just can't see Jacksonville being this, this big bet on
team against Indy. But yet the line showed it because
it opened up minus two and a half minus thirty.
This line opened last Sunday and that was the original line,
and then it got hit right away. Jacksonville went down
to even one for a hair and now back up
to two and a half. I have no opinion on that.
(01:09:46):
Jeff Well crack.
Speaker 5 (01:09:48):
The Colts are playing with a quarterback who has a
broken leg.
Speaker 4 (01:09:52):
Yeah, yeah, airline fracture in the tibia right there for
old Daniel Jones.
Speaker 5 (01:09:59):
What do we do what I don't do? Other quarterbacks
play with broken legs. We don't know about. Is that
like a thing that we do in the NFL now?
When you have a quarterback who's like mobile and needs
to run to be part of your offense, just has
a broken leg, broken leg, that's what that's what we're doing.
He's a broken leg. I'm betting the I'll get a
better around Jacksonville signing up for that. I don't love Jacksonville.
(01:10:19):
But I don't want the Colts right now. Right teams
have figured out stop Jonathan Taylor and let the guy
with the broken leg try to beat you. Doesn't work
as well, right, doesn't work as well. And for the Colts,
as you say, and their defense has not been good
all season, and now we're seeing when the offense isn't
as good to prop the defense up, a defense starting
(01:10:39):
to struggle. Look what everything about Jacksonville. They beat a
Chargers team at home a few weeks ago, they had
that four turnover game, still won and covered, and then
play well last week as well. So they're playing a
little bit better, right. And I've seen this a lot.
I've used this example for the for the Bears, and
we'll use it here for Jacksonville. When you get to
about week week twelve with a new OC or a
(01:11:02):
new head coach, a new quarterback working together for the
first time, week twelve is typically about when you see
the results. And right now Jacksonville, we're seeing better results. Right.
We don't love Trevor Lawrence. I think we all agree
on that, but we're seeing better results. We're seeing better
results in Chicago with Kayleb Williams. You're not seeing better
results Philadelphia going backwards right, new coordinator with Jalen Hurt.
(01:11:25):
So I think Jackson's right where they need to be.
What's that time the Colts have won this game in Jacksonville?
Twenty thirteen?
Speaker 4 (01:11:32):
Yeah, twenty I've got twenty fourth number like that, Yeah,
twenty fourteen.
Speaker 5 (01:11:37):
Also bad weather game. This game is gonna have a
lot of rain and win. So I like Jacksonville. I
don't know why you've been in the Colts other than
I maybe you just don't like Jacksonville and the way
they play against Brian. But big look, I took jackson
I took the Colts about a month ago to miss
the playoffs at about about three to one.
Speaker 1 (01:11:58):
You had a legit shot to miss.
Speaker 5 (01:11:59):
Yeah. Yeah, I like where I'm sitting right now.
Speaker 1 (01:12:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:12:02):
I like the matchup where it's the Jonathan Taylor leads
the league in rushing and Jacksonville has the number one
rush defense, and in a bad weather game, that matters
a lot. If you don't have Jonathan Taylor, you know,
chewing up yards on the ground, what do you have
with this offense?
Speaker 3 (01:12:18):
Right?
Speaker 4 (01:12:18):
And you got a guy with a broken leg trying
to throw in bad weather like That might not be
the sexiest recipe right there. This is not breaking news
how Trevor Lawrence has struggled, But some of these numbers
are hideous.
Speaker 5 (01:12:30):
Yeah, they're bad.
Speaker 4 (01:12:31):
I don't know how much this applies today, how much
they're going to be throwing it considering the weather. But
his passer rating is eighty one point six. That's thirtieth
in the league. That's about two and a half points
lower than Geno Smith. That's how bad Trevor Lawd's. Its
completion percentage is under sixty. He's thrown eleven interceptions, that's
third in the league. I don't understand how they're eight
(01:12:54):
and four. Like, if Trevor Lawrence just played decent football,
this team has a chance to be in three, ten
and two. Maybe, like he's just not playing good football
at all, and they can run it Travis etn Is.
The offense runs through Etn and in a game like this,
he might get a heavy workload here, so keep your
eye on him. But I think a lot of this
(01:13:15):
game comes down to who can run it more effectively.
The Colts want to run it with Jonathan Taylor. Can
the Jags in that number one rush defense keep him
in check. It's a huge question today.
Speaker 5 (01:13:24):
Absolutely, I'm I'm looking if they have. By the way,
that the playoff odds have changed after the the AP
pole came out for these teams.
Speaker 1 (01:13:37):
I thought it didn't even move.
Speaker 5 (01:13:39):
I thought it would move a little bit. So Miami
is still a slight underdog to make the playoffs. Bama
still minus two hundred to make the playoffs. So that's
most Yeah, yeah, the tiny bed but not a lot,
not enough where you know, I thought the poll would
matter a little bit more. It's whether there's a move.
I can't wait to pounce on bowl games. By the way, guys,
there is.
Speaker 3 (01:13:57):
Yeah, I heard it on your voice with Christian Yeah
are you coming out? Are they coming out today?
Speaker 5 (01:14:03):
Well? Well, think about it, like you have a lot
of schools dorm coaches and don't have players, and what's
the what's the They're not going to try hard in
this game, you know, like we who opted out Kansas
State opt out of a bowlgain, Like we're not not
going to a bowl game. Like there's a lot of
schools that just don't want to be in these games anymore.
(01:14:25):
And I can't wait to pick and choose which ones
those are and make those wagers when they drop. Plus
are some games where I think OI got like Utah.
I think their coaches were tiring. I think everyone knows it.
I think they're gonna play really hard for their coach
in the final game. Yeah, stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (01:14:39):
By the way, you would like this, Jeff.
Speaker 4 (01:14:41):
Like my old Portland show, Kyle Whittingham used to come
on the show all the time. Huge fan of Mexican food.
Speaker 1 (01:14:49):
That's a true story.
Speaker 5 (01:14:51):
Yeah, hard rock in Harley's too.
Speaker 1 (01:14:53):
I think, Oh really I didn't know that.
Speaker 5 (01:14:55):
Yeah that's good.
Speaker 4 (01:14:56):
I could have expanded right there, but yeah, yeah, I
think his wife makes Mexican dishes all the time. Huge
fan of Mexican food. So that was awesome. You always
remember that with Kyle Whittingham. Mike Bollatti, you know, a
former Oregon coach, huge into pickleball.
Speaker 1 (01:15:11):
Huge. We'd break it down weekly, like how is the
ball game is going?
Speaker 5 (01:15:15):
Yeah? Yeah, well Mike Bati my head coach.
Speaker 1 (01:15:18):
Great guy, great, awesome. Yeah, he was really nice.
Speaker 4 (01:15:22):
I h They played Fresno State a long time ago
in Fresno when I was working out there and I
just walked up to him and it was like, Hey, Mike,
can I talk to you, and he's like, yeah, sure,
I just talked to him. I talked to Jerry Glanville
after a Hawaii game.
Speaker 5 (01:15:35):
He was played. You know who played that game?
Speaker 1 (01:15:37):
You were in that game at Fresno.
Speaker 5 (01:15:39):
Huh two thousand and six?
Speaker 1 (01:15:41):
Nice? Are you doing work that game? Were you clearing
pathways with the old running game there?
Speaker 5 (01:15:46):
All I know about that game is that that was
Fresno State had built that game up for two years
because they were good, right, and it was like Organ's
coming to town. This is our chance to make the beast. Yes.
This is like, this is our chance, this is our
chance to be yes team. And we beat them, and
we didn't play very well. So thosey tell you what, man,
those Fresno fans, buddy, they are angry people. I never
(01:16:10):
had to meet as many kids flip me off in
a crowd.
Speaker 3 (01:16:14):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (01:16:14):
They bark at you too, They're like, barkt.
Speaker 4 (01:16:17):

Righting the prop betting waters crack. We're diving right in

Speaker 3 (01:17:52):
What do you like today? Yeah, I'm gonna go back
to that indie game we just talked about. Let's go
under on the Jones on his two wonder and thirty
and a half passing yards at at MGM. I just
think that weather it's gonna come into play, Like Jeff
said there, the guy may be hobbling around. Who knows
if he even plays the whole game. So under Jones
passing yards.
Speaker 5 (01:18:14):
I will go over people being upset about the cultural
playoffs in about seven minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:18:20):
That might include me, depending on how it shakes out.
Speaker 5 (01:18:22):
You know, worrd year, I give me Derek Henry over
eighteen a half rush attempts in the game against the
Steelers today. You know he's not a high volume rush
temp guy. This season, it's averaging about eighteen and a half.
It's on a right at this mark. But how think
you for the Ravens to win this game today, they
have to rely on him to run the football. They're
also off extended little rest, right They've played on Thursday night,
so not a normal you know, seven day rest period
(01:18:45):
for him, and he'll probably field pretty fresh. I think
with Lamar hobbled a little bit, it's gotta be Derek
Henry game. Give me Deck Henry over eighteen and a.
Speaker 4 (01:18:51):
Half rushdowns, all right, I'm gonna go with Cardinals wide
receiver Michael Wilson. Give me over seventy two and a
half receiving yards. It's a higher nightnumber. It's ticked up.
But here's what you got to keep in mind. If
you look at two of these most recent games. So
a couple of weeks ago against the Niners, eighteen targets,
he had fifteen catches for a buck eighty five. And
(01:19:14):
then the next week in an overtime loss against Jacksonville,
he had fifteen targets, went for ten catches a buck eighteen.
Last week, Marvin Harrison Junior was back against Tampa. He
didn't get much of a workload, three catches for thirty
six yards.
Speaker 1 (01:19:29):
Marvin Harrison Junior is out.
Speaker 4 (01:19:31):
So this means Michael Wilson is going to be targeted
early often throughout. I think he's gonna get a ton
of looks. I don't like the Rams secondary. I think
that the Rams probably gonna be playing from ahead. He'll
lost last week, So a lot of passing opportunities for
the Cardinals, a lot of reasons to take Michael Wilson
over seventy two and a half receiving yards.
Speaker 1 (01:19:51):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (01:19:52):
Nice, Nice guys. Let me give you a little bit
of a breaking news here. I want to give you
some lines. Notre Dame minus five and a half over Oklahoma,
Oh wow, Oregon twenty and a half over James Madison,
Texas A and M three and a half over Alabama,
Ole Miss sixteen and a half over Tulayne. There you go.
Speaker 5 (01:20:11):
I'll take the organ number immediately. Can I do that
right now?
Speaker 3 (01:20:14):
Minus twenty and a half.
Speaker 5 (01:20:15):
They might not score more than fourteen.
Speaker 4 (01:20:16):
Again, how about that they got lines already before it's announced.
Speaker 1 (01:20:20):
Wow, interesting stuff right there, all right?
Speaker 4 (01:20:22):
Coming up next, A stinky line alerts what is going on?
Welcome in Happy Sunday too. Your Week fourteen in the
NFL College Football playoff field is about to be set
here momentarily so very excited to see who the twelve
teams will be. Now, Jeff, you have that special Schwartz feed.
Speaker 1 (01:20:46):
I don't know what it is.
Speaker 4 (01:20:47):
It's like a minute, minute and a half faster than
the feed that Crack.
Speaker 1 (01:20:51):
And I have.
Speaker 5 (01:20:52):
Yeah, I'll just say that it looks like the market
weather on the sites that have it up, or the
pricture markets as well, are favoring on Notre Dame Alabama
outcome and leaving Miami at which I think is wrong.
I just I don't know. If the games on the
field don't matter, why are we playing the games? It's
(01:21:12):
that simple. It's that it's that simple. If if you
don't count the games that play between two teams that
have the same record, then what is the point of
ever playing these games that you're That's what you're telling
these schools. These games do not matter, do not. If
I was Miami, I would unschedule every freaking game. Now
they Irish come, No, they go to they go to
(01:21:33):
the Notre Dame next year, right, I think I would have.
I would cancel everyone. I cancel all the games. I
just start scheduling Swanee State and North Tech Southwest I
just like, I would just like or what did Dan
Lanny say? Chattanooga State? Just schedule all of them, all,
all all the teams in a row. It doesn't matter.
(01:21:54):
Why Why is it if you're not going to count
the result of a game that's played into the playoff,
why should you ever play these games ever? Again?
Speaker 4 (01:22:02):
Now I hear you, man like listen. It's the deal
with Notre Dame versus Miami. The cliffs notes version is
their strength of schedule is almost identical. It's a slight
favor to Notre Dame. Right, Notre Dame had the stronger
strength of schedule, but not by much, like forty two
compared to forty four. Then you get to the committee
loves these quality losses. Notre Dame has the much better
(01:22:24):
quality losses. There's no doubt they lost to Miami. They
lost to Texas A and m Both those teams are
in the top twelve, maybe higher. Right, Miami lost to
Louisville and SMU, and those are much worse losses.
Speaker 1 (01:22:38):
There's no doubt.
Speaker 4 (01:22:39):
But if you look at the best win, I argue,
if Miami beat a team as good as Notre Dame,
that would be one thing that might be enough to
sway it in their favor. They beat Notre Dame, they
actually beat the team that they're going up against, maybe
for the last playoff spot. That has to matter to me.
That's the trump card. If you're playing a game of
(01:23:01):
cards like Uker's a great Midwest game, if you play spades, whatever, like,
that's the trump card. We could be playing her Heartheart.
Someone plays a spade, they take that trick. I think
that the head to head win is the trump card.
They're both ten and two. The strength of schedules are
very similar. Just Notre Dame has better quality losses. I
don't think it's enough to sway it in Notre Dame's favor.
Speaker 1 (01:23:22):
I just don't.
Speaker 4 (01:23:22):
And that's me. Born in Bred and South Bend. I
hate that I think that, but I do. I think
it should go to Miami.
Speaker 5 (01:23:28):
By the By the way, they already moved the Oregon
GMU line from twenty and a half to twenty one
and a half.
Speaker 3 (01:23:34):
So I told you, I was just gonna ask you,
what do you think the fair number you're saying in
twenty four, maybe twenty.
Speaker 5 (01:23:40):
I think it's gonna get to twenty four. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:23:42):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (01:23:42):
Now look I have not watched much. JMU. I watch
the other night and it was atrocious on offense. I
don't know, I know I missed it. I'm not gonna
bet an organ. I'm a skippit because I just don't
want to. I don't want to put myself in that situation.
But yeah, I'm I got. I'm ready for bull season.
Speaker 3 (01:23:57):
Man.
Speaker 5 (01:23:58):
We I always say, just opt out to opt out
of balls. Cana State opted out of ball. I'm ready.
I'm ready. I'm ready to face something. I'm ready to
give me. Give me his ball now. I just reloaded
some money in my account. Give me the Bulls. Come on,
let's go. But you know they're gonna drag this out
as long as possible. Of course, as we talk here.
Speaker 4 (01:24:14):
I say, what what's the what's the guess what time
like Eastern time? What time do you think it is
when we know the last couple of teams to make
the field? You say, what, twelve forty seven?
Speaker 5 (01:24:26):
Well, they're gonna take one more break, probably, I would guess,
and then go to it because they want to do
the reaction show, right. They want reaction as well, So
I think they're gonna give us a little bit.
Speaker 4 (01:24:35):
Of like okay, earlier they're on for three hours, though
you know they might wait a three hour show.
Speaker 5 (01:24:41):
It goes it has to be before the NFL.
Speaker 1 (01:24:44):
Well maybe they probably were on for the it's probably
our three.
Speaker 5 (01:24:47):
Yeah, it was, it was. It was it's in ten
to one or whatever it's gonna be. They have to
they have to, Yeah, they have to like be done
before one. Right, we know what's one o'clock everyone's turning
in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (01:25:00):
So most likely yeh, done before one.
Speaker 5 (01:25:02):
So I don't know. I mean, I if they leave
Miami out to that means they have no ACC. Yeah,
and but the markets moving in that direction.
Speaker 1 (01:25:13):
Though, man, like that's what It's been a dog conference
this year. They head to head to Notre Dame.
Speaker 4 (01:25:18):
That that's the better argument, because like, I don't have
a bleeding heart for the ACC.
Speaker 1 (01:25:22):
It's just trash this year.
Speaker 5 (01:25:27):
Yeah, I I mean, I can't. We can't listen to
this obviously.
Speaker 1 (01:25:33):
Are you trying to like lip read over there or what?
Speaker 5 (01:25:36):
Well, I mean, I don't know what they're saying. Right. Look,
there's been some things that have been said this week
that I think are kind of silly. I don't think
that a network tells their talent.
Speaker 4 (01:25:45):
What to say, but it well, they're just pushing a
certain narrative.
Speaker 5 (01:25:52):
What Yeah, they've been pushing. They've been pushing, They've they've
been pushing certain narratives. I just the Miami thing. I
don't know how. You don't how you know how you
don't let them in? Man?
Speaker 1 (01:26:00):
Yeah, well, hey, we'll get our By the way, that.
Speaker 5 (01:26:03):
Is a team to fade in bowl season. Miami is
an absolute fade.
Speaker 1 (01:26:08):
Oh oh if they don't make the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (01:26:10):
Absolute fade. Yeah, Tony won't I mean not Tony Bean
won't play. Beck won't play, Mauga won't play. Everyone's everyone's out.
They're all out. Look. There were notre name ten and two,
Mammy ten and two FPI rank, which is ESPN's made
up the system, not name three, Miami seven, strength of schedule,
forty two, forty four strength of record. I don't understand
(01:26:32):
the difference between those two, to be honest with you,
thirteen and fourteen feels like we're making up things as
we go. So they're very close. And again like Miami
beat them, Miami beat them, Many beat them. We can't
get what the sports about wins it losses.
Speaker 3 (01:26:45):
Good call on that. Oregon. I mean none of those
numbers moved. The only one that moved the Oregon moved
a full point to twenty one and a half over
James Madison Notre Dame's still five and a half. Texas
am four and a half. That was a good Uh.
I just wonder if you said it on air and
someone went and bet it right away, and and the
Schwartz syndicate moving major games like that.
Speaker 5 (01:27:07):
I mean that, Jam Jmu. I'm looking at the I'm
looking at this from before their game this weekend they
played this season. This is this is sp okay SP's
rankings for the teams they played this year. Thirty ninety
eight one to eleven one thirty three, one oh one,
forty eight, seventy two, eighty nine, one oh eight, sixty
(01:27:31):
and one seventeen. I think Organ's two or three. Uh,
it's in Eugene, Howard. I don't it's a tune up
game for Organ. I don't really think this game is
going to be close unless they pull, you know, the
starters out at some point. But we've played better teams
(01:27:52):
and being them by a lot of points, so I
think this number gets to twenty four. Crack, I really.
Speaker 4 (01:27:57):
Do well while we wait around for the college football
playoff teams to be announced. Here, let's dive into Week
fourteen where we've got the Bears and the Packers. Nice
matchup here NFC North. This is a big game where
you look at record wise Bears nine and three as
the one seed, Packers eight three and one. So we
can go a little flip flop here if the Packers
(01:28:18):
win this home game and they're favored by six and
a half. To me, this is a stinky line alert
where you look at the Bears, they're the one seed
in the NFC, They've had this great winning streak in Vegas.
Is just like, yeah, not buying them whatsoever. It's minus
six and a half and at BETMGM it's shaded to
the Packers at minus one p fifteen. So they're begging
(01:28:39):
you to take the points with the Bears, and whenever
they're begging you to do something, they're trying to steal
your money.
Speaker 5 (01:28:44):
Is how if you take the Packers?
Speaker 3 (01:28:46):
Right?
Speaker 1 (01:28:47):
Absolutely?
Speaker 5 (01:28:47):
Yeah, absolutely, Okay. I thought we were on the same
page there. Great Bears win last week we talked about
on Sunday, like a really validating win for the Bears,
but they're still like twenty five on defense and inefficiency,
like they still have a lot of flaws.
Speaker 1 (01:29:03):
It's just takeaways. That's all they can survive.
Speaker 5 (01:29:06):
And it keeps. I saw a Bears fan I follow
on social media was like the defense things and then
we got to take away. It's all right, right, that's
what they do, what they do. I don't know if
I love the I don't know if I love like
the Packers in general. But we're right. They played Thanksgiving, Right,
(01:29:27):
that's the last time they played. I feel like that's
such so long ago.
Speaker 3 (01:29:29):
That it was the next day. It was the day
after the Friday.
Speaker 5 (01:29:31):
Right, No, they play on Thanksgiving. Put the line Thanksgiving.
Speaker 3 (01:29:34):
Okay, Okay, we've.
Speaker 5 (01:29:35):
Just had like other it's been a while. We've already
had another Thursday game played with a whole weekend of Sunday.
And I actually played, so I lean Packers here or
nothing in this game. The bartender, for whatever it's worth,
on the Bears just under fifty percent for so far
the season, Bear Bear, I mean crack so bet against Yeah,
so I lean Packers are nothing. But it won't make
(01:29:57):
my crack challenge probably, but it would. It would be
Packers or or no play this one.
Speaker 3 (01:30:02):
Yeah. God, No matter how many times I've heard it
this past week, it still doesn't sound right. The number
one seed is the Chicago Bears. God, this is a
big Division game. Could change that for sure. The Bears
have had the second easiest schedule to so far, but
today might be their biggest test yet. So the Packers
(01:30:22):
are the team that they just haven't been able to
actually beat this past decade. I'll say so. Kayli Williams
should have his hands full today. I thought it was
Chicago's They went over the Eagles. I got to tell
you that was actually impressive. I hate to say it.
Oh God, Like Jeff said, we've talked about it, but
(01:30:44):
whatever else you know, but I'm actually had a loss
for words because all season long, in this space and
every space, I've been anti Bears, and I put my
money where my mouth is making vets on Bears underseason wins.
I lost that Bears no playoff. I'm gonna lose that.
You know they have? They were actually pretty impressive. They
(01:31:05):
are only two games though against teams currently over five hundred,
were ugly road losses in Detroit and Baltimore. But if
they can pull off a win at Green Bay today,
then I think they can finally silent silence all the doubters,
I guess, even me. So that's all I can say.
Speaker 5 (01:31:23):
No, no, we're still fading them. Okay, come the posts
and let's not get don't give up. Okay, we're still
doing it.
Speaker 3 (01:31:31):
I can't wait to bet against them on the money
line in the playoffs. But I'll tell you, if they
keep eating these good teams, Jesus.
Speaker 5 (01:31:39):
I'm with you. I mean, look, I think there's two
days are true. Like, they play a really good game.
They won it physically in the trenches against the Eagles,
but the Eagles also are kind of stinky, and so
we'll see how they play obviously on Monday Night. I
just the analytics. It's so funny, right, like the Chiefs. Okay,
they're so much better analytically than the Bears. Right, they
are book at the numbers, sure, but they don't win
(01:32:02):
any big moments this season. The Bears, on the other side,
they have won all the big moments this year the NFL.
For as much as we talk about the entire game,
those four to seven plays in the fourth quarter matter
so much to the success of your team and the
Chiefs haven't won those plays the Bears have. The thing
is in the postseason, though, if you're sort of food
(01:32:24):
gazing the record, that shows really quickly in the postseason.
It's a different animal in the postseason, right, And I
really do think as we preview, as we start getting
to that point of the season, being there before does matter.
And the Bears have not been there with this team before,
and the Patriot's have not been there with their team
that's gonna play in the Denver Hasts. You might not
like that, but they win last year and they got
(01:32:45):
blown out, but it doesn't matter. They played a playoffame
last season. The Bears haven't been there, so they're gonna
play teams presumably they have mostly been the postseason for
the last couple of years in the NFC. It's gonna
be trouble in my opinion, when we get there. But
for today's game, I like the Packers to cover this game. Again,
not a favorite of mine, but nonetheless, why is Duke
(01:33:06):
Why is someone that I know Duke played last night?
But like, why is someone at Duke's not making the postseason?
Why I have a reporter or a Duke for this?
Speaker 3 (01:33:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:33:14):
I mean I know that, Yeah, covered the game last night.
Speaker 5 (01:33:19):
She just drove to Duke. I get it, like but
but like it's still right.
Speaker 4 (01:33:23):
Just give him a little bit of love. We know
they're not gonna make it, but you know we'll get
what you were.
Speaker 5 (01:33:29):
Arguing about it eight and five an eight and five
team to be in the post. They won their they
won their conference.
Speaker 4 (01:33:34):
I mean, I guess I'd rather, you know, we We
even got a sales pitch from Many Diaz after the
game why they should be in, and it's like, what
are we doing at this way? I just want to
coach to be like, look, man, we lost five games,
so I'm not doing that.
Speaker 5 (01:33:45):
I also think it's so funny that, you know, I
know people are getting off their jokes like ah, Many
Diaz made it before Mario did. I'm like, come on,
if Duke and Miami were to play, Miami would win
by three touchdowns. Just it's these are eighteen team conferences now,
like you're gonna have a weird situation where tie breakers
just don't work in your direction. So but little JMU Harrisburg, Harrisonburg,
(01:34:08):
Virginia find all the way Eugene to play a playoff
game in three weeks.
Speaker 1 (01:34:12):
How about this.
Speaker 4 (01:34:13):
Let me circle back to Bears Packers real fast, because
there's something that's interesting to me. So you look at
the Bears. They've got the number two rushing offense in
the league this season, right, And you look at last
week on Black Friday against the Eagles, you had both
DeAndre Swift and Kyle Manongai rushed for over one and
twenty five yards a piece. And now you look at
(01:34:34):
this game against the Packers. The Packers just lost Davonte Wyatt.
He's one of their best run defenders and he's out
for the season with an ankle injury. And so they
already traded Kenny Clark. Now they're down Devonte Wyatt. So
their defensive tackles, they've got their number three, number four
guys in there. And if you look at the rushing
prop bets because he might be thinking, all right, Bears
(01:34:55):
running game here, DeAndre Swift is at forty six and
a half. Yelmanong guy is at forty three.
Speaker 1 (01:35:01):
And a half.
Speaker 4 (01:35:02):
So it's like, Wow, there's not even any love for
the Bears running game. They're number two in the league
running the ball, and at least the interior defensive line
that it's an advantageous matchup for the Bears, and yet
still no buy in the.
Speaker 5 (01:35:15):
Old line for the for the the Bears, and it's
paying off, right. They spend all that money and resources,
and it's pretty awesome that you know, you're seeing that
that payoff. You know this again, I think this time
of year when things start really getting better. If you're
a good team, and the Bears are getting better at
the right time, they really.
Speaker 1 (01:35:35):
Are absolutely all right.
Speaker 4 (01:35:37):
We've got Bill Krachenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran, I'm Brian no All season long. Bet
MGM's offering you a second chance on your first touchdown bet.
When a customer places a first a wager on a
first touchdown scorer bet and he doesn't score first but
scores second, bet MGM will return one of their stake
(01:35:57):
back in cash.
Speaker 1 (01:35:59):
All right, come up next.
Speaker 4 (01:36:01):
One team has a much better reputation than their opponent tonight,
but that could be very misleading.
Speaker 1 (01:36:07):
We'll get to that.
Speaker 4 (01:36:08):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by BETMGM.
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by
bet MGM. If you missed anything of today's show, you'll
want to catch the podcast. Just search Fox Sports Radio
wherever you get your podcasts. Right after the show, today's
pod will be posted. Be sure to follow it, rate
(01:36:29):
it five stars, and you can even provide a review. Again,
just search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts,
and you'll find today's full show posted right after we
get off the year. All right, so we're in NFL
preview mode and also college football playoff reaction mode. So
anything big, we'll let you know. It's right now. It's
IU and then Ohio State. The Ohio State is the two.
Speaker 5 (01:36:50):
See I'm actually surprised a little bit that they only
dropped Ohio State to two, not three. So but they
they get to choose their location now basically after the
Rose bawl about where to play. Uh So, I'm that's
the only thing that matters really here in that situation.
They get to choose where they play because obviously you
know two and three, and it's irrelevant in this discussion
(01:37:14):
other than obviously I guess who you're playing next, right,
So your path, your path does matter. Indiana's path is
going to be hard to go again, every it seems
like that seems to be destined to be that way.
But here we'll curious to see here we got. We
got Georgia at three. Obviously teckle before were gonna be
we know that, get us to get us to to
(01:37:34):
ten come on ten eleven twelve, Well it's really ten twelve.
It's really ten and twelve, right, because nine ten twelve,
nine ten twelve is what we care about. Yeah, so yeah, Georgia,
by the way, man, their defense has got a lot
better this year. They we dogged them are in the season,
got a lot better. So Georgia at three, and presumably
(01:37:55):
by all teams all red Indiana, Georgia, Ohio State, Texas
Techo logo.
Speaker 3 (01:38:00):
There you go.
Speaker 5 (01:38:01):
Then Oregon at gonna pop on the screen.
Speaker 4 (01:38:04):
Right, yeah, right, no doubt Red Raiders. You know he
got red in one of the team names too. How
about Texans and the Chiefs. Chiefs are red right, good transition,
Texans and Chiefs. One team has the better reputation obviously
that's the Chiefs, right, all the Super Bowls with Mahomes,
all the success nine straight division titles, all the AFC
(01:38:24):
Championship Game appearances, But that can be misleading in a
game like this, Jeff, you talked about the offensive line.
We're expecting what three Chiefs offensive linemen to be down
for this game.
Speaker 1 (01:38:36):
It's a huge deal.
Speaker 4 (01:38:37):
Both offensive tackles against the Houston Texans nasty defense pass
rush with Will Anderson junior daneil Hunter. That is a
big mismatch for the Chiefs in terms of trying to
generate offense. It is going to be tough sledding tonight
for Casey to gain yards and score points.
Speaker 5 (01:38:55):
There's just no way around it. It's gonna be really hard.
You know, They've done good things in the past, and
these situations I feel like where you know, it's like
let's rally around, like let's rally this up and let's
make But their offense is not that offense right now.
It's not what they've been in this season. My brother,
former chief obviously for five years, one or two Roule there,
(01:39:18):
he talked this week about it, and it's so true. Man,
the Chiefs right now, this iteration of their offense, they
don't create or run the easy offensive plays that work
in the NFL in twenty twenty five. It's just not
their offense. Like they don't create easy offense and that's
a problem, and it's gonna be a huge problem tonight
(01:39:40):
with all your guys out. So this is I think
it is a low scoring under giggle ca the Chiefs
still win. Yeah, absolutely, they can win this game. It's
not gonna be easy. It's come down a couple of
plays into the game. And look, Texas have not played
well in Kansas City Dome. Team going outside. I mean
all those things that apply here as well. But what
vergis of Chris Jones do we get? Can they rush
the passer at all? Three and a half every game
(01:40:02):
that you shot three and a half that's what they
put him at? Now I would bet Houston here.
Speaker 3 (01:40:08):
Yeah. It seems like every week we hear this term
and must win for Kansas City. I think this week
it's really more true than ever though, And I know
Jeff's You've said the Chiefs aren't making the playoffs, and
you said that weeks and weeks ago. A loss today
would would almost kill all the chances for them. I
have lost a lot of money on the Chiefs this year,
money line bets. It's amazing. I'm actually above board actually
(01:40:32):
in the NFL. That's because of the props though this
team has cost me a lot of money. God Houston,
go over to the Houston. Houston's defense has been one
of those, really one of the best in all of
the NFL this season. Now their offense is finally starting
to come around. Stroud seems a little more mobile out there,
healthier of course, and his chemistry with an Eco Collins
(01:40:54):
seems to be getting strong each week. This is the
game though, that everyone's going going to be watching. Most
of the country just seems like they're rooting against the Chiefs.
So let's see what happens here. And like I said,
this was jefs Cheen, you know, he's the Chiefs guy,
and he actually did call this back, you know months
I'm gonna say six weeks ago, five weeks ago. So
(01:41:16):
the Chiefs are not going to make the playoffs a
month ago. So whatever it was, you said it multiple times. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:41:21):
To me, it's like, can the Texans take the next step?
You know, like Casey is ripe for the picking. We've
seen how they've played this season. Now they're even more
banged up with their offensive linemen issues. You know, offensive
linemen are hurt. You know, like sixty percent of their
starting O lion could be out for this game, like,
this is the time to pounce. If you're the Texans,
(01:41:43):
can they do it? Because you know, like the Chiefs
are a wounded beast right now, you know, can you
take them down when they are vulnerable? And listen, the
Chiefs are a proud team. Like some of these teams,
when they're wounded, they're even tougher to beat. Yeah, they
just fight that much harder. So that's that's my question
for the Texans. Man, like they are, there are significant
(01:42:03):
advantages in their favor and can they take advantage of
that and take them down because they are right there
to be had. And this is it for the chief season.
This is like their last stand. You know, they have
to win this game or it's curtains.
Speaker 5 (01:42:18):
If you need a must win game, you must not
be very good.
Speaker 1 (01:42:24):
It's a good saying.
Speaker 3 (01:42:25):
I like that. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:42:26):
Oh, they they got one through eight. Now they're putting
up the resume comparisons. Now there Alabama nor Day in Miami.
So we'll see what they do. Are they anything at
break here? They're gonna go to break or they're gonna
let us, They're gonna let us work through this. What
are we doing? The telecast one through Waight. No surprise obviously,
other than you know, maybe location of games.
Speaker 1 (01:42:48):
Maama's nine. Wow, Mama is in it. So it comes
down to Notre Dame Miami.
Speaker 5 (01:42:55):
They moved Bama up, they know they were not.
Speaker 1 (01:42:57):
They kept them at nine.
Speaker 4 (01:42:58):
They didn't move them at all after getting macked by
three touchdowns. Great move committee, No nuts, just as I predicted,
no stones whatsoever. Like and this, to me, it's the
easy way out. This is why I'm so nervous about
Notre Dame versus Miami. If it's Notre Dame in Miami
next to each other, like, the easy way out is
(01:43:19):
to say, well, you can't move a team down even
though they got blasted and got worked in their conference
championship game, and and you gotta on.
Speaker 1 (01:43:27):
Our head to head, which I agree with.
Speaker 4 (01:43:29):
But every single week the committee has told us otherwise.
And now at the last second they might say no,
actually kidding about all those other playoff polls, let's.
Speaker 3 (01:43:39):
Go with you.
Speaker 5 (01:43:40):
Man. I don't like I don't like this.
Speaker 1 (01:43:42):
It's down to this, man.
Speaker 5 (01:43:43):
Miami is getting screwed, right, and they have to. They
have to be getting screwed. There's just no there's I
don't know and I feel bad talking about this because
you're rooting for the Irish obviously.
Speaker 1 (01:43:52):
No, it's all good, man, I get it.
Speaker 5 (01:43:54):
Yeah, Alabama Oklahoma's going to be gross. I'll watch it,
of course, but it's I mean, Oklahoma can't score and
Bama they already sorry, they already played. Did they play?
They played a month ago?
Speaker 4 (01:44:06):
Yeah, right, yeah, and Alabama lost at home. So now
Alabama goes on the road.
Speaker 5 (01:44:13):
Yeah, Oklahoma can't score it all man.
Speaker 4 (01:44:16):
I know it's going to be a gross game. And
Alabama's offense is all out of whack. Right now, Oklahoma
has a real defense. You might want to pounds on
the under right now, it's the you Miami is in Wow, gosh, dude,
really we got kicked to the curb.
Speaker 3 (01:44:33):
Wow. Oh just as you were saying it, Jesus.
Speaker 4 (01:44:39):
I told you, man, like, yeah, Notre Dame is the
easy way out. And of course a committee with no
nuts whatsoever is going to look.
Speaker 1 (01:44:48):
For the easy way out, like to not move Bama
down at all.
Speaker 4 (01:44:52):
Really, like they flip flop Notre Dame in Miami Notre
Dame in Alabama after Alabama barely eat a five and
seven Auburn team, like they were impressed by that. They're like,
well the first half man really impressed with the crimson tiede.
They they had to go with the riverboat gamble on
fourth and two to barely survive that game.
Speaker 3 (01:45:12):
And and why you can't lay that twenty to one?
Was that? No? No, that was that was?
Speaker 4 (01:45:16):
Yeah, right, one twenty minus two thousand and they're on
the outside.
Speaker 3 (01:45:23):
We talked about it earlier. Yeah, jesus, wow, my god,
that's that really is unreal thinking about it. Twenty do
I've seen twenty to one and ten to one, So
you had to late twenty to one or late ten
to one, and that's it's a it's a loser.
Speaker 5 (01:45:39):
Notre Dame was was They were like, and note Dame
was what like minus eighteen minus eighteen hundred today?
Speaker 4 (01:45:45):
Yeah, like the biggest favorite to get in. That's why
it's that's pretty shady, man, like do they are they
just baiting people at that point? You know, like, oh,
it's a lock you bet the Irish when they're like, yeah,
you're gonna get screwed on these bets.
Speaker 1 (01:46:01):
You know that I hit my.
Speaker 5 (01:46:03):
Miami one at least, so oh that's right.
Speaker 3 (01:46:06):
Yeah, props to you.
Speaker 1 (01:46:08):
I mean Listen, I'm should.
Speaker 5 (01:46:09):
Have blowed on some NFL prop today.
Speaker 3 (01:46:11):
Okay, Kenneth Ganewell all in you know, yeah, Brian, Brian,
what's up? I just liked how Jeff did that one. Listen.
There's an old saying about comedians and stuff. If you
can laugh at your jokes instantly, I mean, he just
said I'm gonna blow out, probably started dying laughing at
that is just when you can make fun of yourself,
(01:46:33):
you have made it in the world.
Speaker 5 (01:46:35):
I love I'm gonna I want to just some dumb
NFL I'll just be like, oh, this guy's gonna go
over and it won't. It won't happen.
Speaker 3 (01:46:42):
I love you guys so many props. I almost felt
bad sending that last one. What did I just said,
just send you guys another one, and I was like,
do I even push them? I almost didn't send it
to you. I'm like, you know, I sent you guys
like fifteen props, twenty props like who has bankrolls to bet?
That's why I can't send them out to people who
has bankrolls about twenty prop bets. Well, mister Schwartz, does
(01:47:05):
you know there?
Speaker 5 (01:47:06):
You go, yeah, yeah, yeah, oh someone just someone just
said someone I put out there that the Note Dame
number was like eighty said it was minus three thousand
before they announced the before they announced this, I would
I would much rather watch Oklahoma Notre Dame than Bama.
Speaker 4 (01:47:25):
Absolutely, absolutely. Bama is playing their worst football by far
right now.
Speaker 1 (01:47:32):
It's like book ended it.
Speaker 4 (01:47:33):
They played their worst football in the first game against
Florida State, and they're playing their worst football now heading
into the playoff. But some people just subscribe like you
can only again, you can only move up in your
conference championship game. You can't move down, right, Like Alabama
could have skyrocketed to a bye.
Speaker 1 (01:47:51):
They could have gone from nine to four Ala.
Speaker 3 (01:47:55):
Minus one and a half, by the way in that game.
Speaker 1 (01:47:57):
On the road against Oklahoma.
Speaker 3 (01:47:58):
Yeah. Yeah, do you have the total? I do forty
and a half. Low total.
Speaker 1 (01:48:03):
That is low. I like the yonder.
Speaker 4 (01:48:06):
It doesn't make sense, right, you can only move up,
but you can't move down in your conference championship game.
Speaker 1 (01:48:11):
That makes no sense. I don't agree with that at all.
Speaker 5 (01:48:14):
I Hey, I mean we jeez Organs, we get jmu
dude in Eugene.
Speaker 4 (01:48:19):
Organ I don't know, like last thing I'll say on
this I think it's the Notre Dame Miami thing. I
think it's the right result but the wrong path. You know,
like the committee week after week, no no, no, Notre Dame
over Miami.
Speaker 1 (01:48:34):
Next week, no, no, Notre Dame over Miami.
Speaker 4 (01:48:36):
And then at the final minute, now it's Miami over
Notre Dame. It's like, I think it should be Miami
over Notre Dame. But why did you spend the last
month and a half telling us the opposite only to
switch it. That's just that's crazy to me, man. But hey,
we press on. We've got Isaac lohen Kron. You know what,
(01:48:58):
when I'm feeling down, Isaac Lohencron in my headphones, that
perks me right back up.
Speaker 1 (01:49:04):
I Low, what's going on?
Speaker 5 (01:49:05):
Buddy?
Speaker 3 (01:49:05):
Why?
Speaker 8 (01:49:05):
Thank you, Brian. And indeed, the college football playoff selection
is officially complete, and the big stories so far, the
big stories in terms of surprises are non surprises. Miami
in Notre Dame out. That's the big headline. Let's run
down all twelve. Let's run down the first and second
(01:49:28):
out the top four seeds Indiana, the one seed Ohio State,
the two seed Georgia, and number three Texas Tech.
Speaker 3 (01:49:35):
The four seed.
Speaker 8 (01:49:37):
Those schools get first round byes five through eight will
be hosting first round playoff games. Oregon the five seed
Ole Miss, the sixth seed Texas A and M seventh
Oklahoma eighth, the nine seed Alabama, the ten seed Miami,
the eleven seed Tulane. The twelfth and final college Football
(01:50:00):
playoff spot went to James Madison. The first team out
was Notre Dame. The second team out was BYU So again,
the first round byes go to Indiana, Ohio State, Georgia,
and Texas Tech. And here are the first round matchups.
It'll be Oklahoma hosting Alabama, Texas A and M playing
(01:50:21):
host to Miami, Tulane on the road at ole Miss
and at Austin Stadium in Eugene. It'll be the Oregon
Ducks against James Madison. So the College Football Playoff twelve
team field has been selected. We also sapp some other
college football news. Kansas State and Iowa State today both
(01:50:44):
opted out of playing in bowl games this year, and
as a result, they were subsequently fined five hundred thousand
dollars each by the Big Twelve Conference WOW in the NFL,
Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive tackle Tristan Wurf's inactive today against
the Saints because of an oblique injury. Buffalo Bill's tight
end Dalton Kinkaid is active against Cincinnati. Had missed the
(01:51:06):
last three games with hamstring and knee injuries. Pittsburgh Steelers
receiver Roman Wilson a healthy scratch today at Baltimore. Receivers
Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdez Scantling are both active, but again.
The biggest headline out of the college football Playoff selection
Miami in Notre Dame out and the people who got
(01:51:28):
the most bang for their buck Apparently these people listen,
I know what you just heard was the sound of
a plane that Miami boosters hired to fly a banner
over the College Football Playoff Selection committee hotel with the
(01:51:49):
banner reading H two H matters Miami in So those
boosters who paid for that plane got some bang for
their buck.
Speaker 1 (01:51:58):
Back to you.
Speaker 4 (01:51:58):
Guys, two O matters Isaac. They messed that last part.
Speaker 2 (01:52:03):
H two oh H two h hgh.
Speaker 1 (01:52:05):
It works, that's right, yeah, right.
Speaker 5 (01:52:08):
I gotta say, Brian, you might I think you made
you made such a good point here, the committee not
valuing the head to head between Norday and Miami till
today is very bad process. Yes, it's very bad process
because they basically said even said like you know, you
have to be close enough for us to like when
(01:52:29):
you consider that so and then today like out of today,
you're now I do wonder, I do wonder if Duke
winning last night was like we gotta get a SEC
team in this thing.
Speaker 1 (01:52:38):
That was the last loose end.
Speaker 4 (01:52:40):
That was because they went perfectly for a Notre Dame
fan b why you got blasted? You know, Alabama got crushed.
The last loose end was like Virginia just win, so
the committee doesn't have another temptation like a bleeding heart
for the ACC And yeah, maybe that had a little
bit to do with it.
Speaker 1 (01:52:58):
You know, it's Miami giding in there.
Speaker 3 (01:53:02):
Is That's what more. My guys just told me.
Speaker 5 (01:53:05):
The thing is, we just have to accept that there's
no rhyme or reason for any of this, right, Like,
there's no they don't they don't subscribe to anything like
the idea that the committee does. Someone tweeted me like
a picture of like the rules that they make it up.
There's no there's no actual rhyme of reason for how
(01:53:26):
they do things, and it's so funny, how like like
the show goes from like, Oh, here's Alabama guy, here's
the next Alabama guy talking about what Alabama should be
in the playoffs. It's so funny. Who wants to like?
Who wants to watch Oklahoma Alabama again?
Speaker 1 (01:53:43):
Alabama is such a fraud food.
Speaker 5 (01:53:45):
I wonder why they're gonna I wonder when they're gonna
announce the game times for these games so I can
I could see.
Speaker 1 (01:53:50):
I'm kind of curious.
Speaker 4 (01:53:51):
Alabama had an impressive stretch, probably the most impressive stretch
in college football this season. They beat ranked team after
ranked team. But that's not the only thing you have
to consider. They got blasted by Florida State. They're playing
their worst football right now going forward. They're total fools gold.
They have no running game. They're overly reliant on Ty Simpson,
(01:54:13):
who's skittish and inaccurate right now, can't hold up under pressure.
Their defense is between okay and good, not special at all.
They're going nowhere like that's like going forward. That's not
really an argument as to why they should have been
in or not, but going forward, this team is going nowhere.
Man Like they probably won't get by Oklahoma, and even
(01:54:35):
if they did, they're going on the road against Indiana.
Like how times have changed, Like good luck against Indiana.
Alabama as is right now, like Ryan Williams is invisible,
they get get the ball to Ryan Williams.
Speaker 1 (01:54:46):
Like this team is so off the rails right now.
But they made it. They and they didn't even move down.
They didn't move down out yesterday.
Speaker 5 (01:54:56):
That's the thing.
Speaker 3 (01:54:56):
So so.
Speaker 5 (01:54:58):
There was talk that they can move up to four
if they won.
Speaker 1 (01:55:01):
Right, but they can't move down.
Speaker 5 (01:55:02):
They can't move down. Moved down, moved down.
Speaker 1 (01:55:07):
You know what's interesting too, is I mentioned SMU. Last year.
Speaker 4 (01:55:11):
SMU lost their conference championship game against Clemson on a
walk off field goal, right, they lost by three points.
Speaker 1 (01:55:19):
They moved down two spots.
Speaker 4 (01:55:21):
Now they still made the playoff, but they moved down
on a last second field goal. They lost by three
And Alabama lost by three touchdowns yesterday and didn't move down.
If Vanderbilt was playing instead of of Bama, same resume,
same everything. You think they're staying at number nine, no
chance and Bama didn't even move It's wild, man, but
(01:55:44):
here we are the last like crying in my beer
statement I'll make. It's amazing how close things are, you know,
Like how close it can go from one way or another.
Think about a couple of the teams ahead of Notre Dame, Oklahoma.
They were in a dogfight against LSU. Oklahoma was down
and LSU allowed two long touchdowns. One was a total
(01:56:04):
busted coverage. If LSU wins, Notre Dame's in today, like,
that's how close it is, Alabama going for it on
fourth and two. That's how close it was with Alabama
not getting in.
Speaker 3 (01:56:16):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:56:17):
But that's that's why we love college football, and that's
why the regular the season still matters so much. All Right,

We call it, call it the crack Challenge.
Speaker 1 (01:58:08):
All right, Jeff, what do you like?
Speaker 5 (01:58:09):
Buddy? All right, very quickly, I know we're up up
against it. Give me Jacksonville plus two and a half.
Give me the Jets plus two and a half. I
will take the Commanders plus one. I'll take the Packers
minus six and a half. And I will take the
Eagles minus two tomorrow. Wow, fast, faster there, Brian.
Speaker 1 (01:58:31):
Okay, I like it, speeding through it. I love it,
no problem. All we got a.
Speaker 4 (01:58:35):
Couple of agreements here. I'm gonna go with the Packers,
uh plus a minus six and a half. And I
just I don't trust the Bears in this spot at all.
They're begging you to take the Bears when they're begging me,
I'm going the other way. I'm gonna take the points
with Houston tonight. I'll take them three and a half.
Offensive line issues for Casey. Give me Jacksonville. I'm with
(01:58:57):
you on that plus two and a half. Let's see
that's three of them. I'm gonna take an ugly, ugly, ugly,
ugly dog. Give me Atlanta plus seven, and you know what,
I'm feeling feisty.
Speaker 1 (01:59:10):
My irish got kicked to the curb.
Speaker 4 (01:59:12):
I know the Dolphins suck in cold weather, but they're
playing the Jets, who suck worse. Give me the Dolphins
minus two and a half. I'm going head to head
with the Schwartzinder.
Speaker 1 (01:59:20):
Feeling crazy right now?
Speaker 4 (01:59:21):
Let's do it, all right, rapid fire, Let's just do
this real fast.
Speaker 1 (01:59:25):
Crack. You have a rapid fire.
Speaker 5 (01:59:28):
Rapid fire.
Speaker 1 (01:59:30):
There you go, right, crack, What do you have for it? So?
Speaker 3 (01:59:33):
I Mayfield under pass attempts today and ta a Mayfield
under thirty and a half pass attempts?
Speaker 1 (01:59:39):
Interesting? Anything else you want to throw out there? Jeff M.
Speaker 5 (01:59:44):
Henry over rush temps I mentioned that already.
Speaker 4 (01:59:46):
Okay, I'm gonna take Jordan Love passing yards over to
twenty two and a half, the weak Bears pass rush.
Speaker 1 (01:59:52):
What's your play of the day, Crack, what do you have?
Speaker 3 (01:59:54):
Well, we'll go to Denver receiving yards over des Bryan
Bryant over sorry, twenty and a half.
Speaker 1 (02:00:00):
Alright, enjoy Week fourteen,
