Welcome man, Happy Sunday, Happy week sixteenth to you, as
we get you all set for a full day of
NFL ball. The ball Beffet is in effect and we
have a little bit of ball review as well. Had
two NFL games last night, three college football playoff games
mostly forgettable, but you know what.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
Good morning Jeff, Good morning Crack.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
I hope everything is wrong with you guys, but.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
Yeah, I want to cry out loud just for a
little bit.

Speaker 5 (01:14):
I know where you're going with this. You should be
able to do this, you have the four go ahead.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Here, Okay, you tell me if I'm on the wrong
track or not here.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Okay. Some of these games recently, I swear, it feels
like it doesn't even matter how you handicap them, right,
Like you could have the greatest read on a game,
the greatest angle on a game, and it just feels like,
hopefully the ridiculous, obnoxious stuff just goes your way, Hopefully

(01:42):
the bounce doesn't go against you, and your handicap just
goes straight to hell for no good reason.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Right?

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Does it not feel like that.

Speaker 5 (01:49):
In what sport? So football and both football are two
different sports.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
I mean both footballs. Because your ducks, your ducks screwed
us last night.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
I mean what look, I went and watch the film
in st I wanted to confirm this. Oregon had eight
guys on defense yesterday who played the most snaps of
the season, like they had. They had linebackers in the
third quarter playing in that game that are going to
red shirt this season, like they just said they're forty

(02:21):
eight thirteen and they just said we're done. And I
and Jamie kept playing like that is it's I gave
this out last week. I told it was a great
they're forty eight thirteen, third and nine at the nine
more gets hit those of the interception like they just
stopped caring and again like that's it sucks that that's
where you we're at right now with with that game.

(02:43):
The one that pissed me off yesterday was the Commander's game.
I had them plus seven and MARIOI gets hurt. It's like, well,
there you go, You're done now. I mean there was
it was fourteen to ten the three interception. The game
was over, like it's it has been that way for
a while. But I did have old miss yeahyesterday, so
I mean that's good. I managed to make out. Okay,

(03:04):
I took Bears live. So but with you in the NFL.
Do the NFL this year? I've gotten not a single
break the entire season, not one, and it's very frustrating.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
That game last night was psychotic, like there if you
believe in next gen stats. According to next Gen Stats,
the Bears win probability was as low as zero point
five percent before recovering that onside kick with two minutes left.
That was amazing insanity where no one recovers it on
sidekick in the NFL and of course the Bears did that.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Crack.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
That was the Bear's sixth win this season when trailing
in the final two minutes. Yeah, like what I'm saying, Sometimes,
does it matter if you were on Packers' money line?

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Like maybe I was? You know, Yes, that's just freaking brutal.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Man.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
Look, this has been a good year for bank roll management, right,
Like there's Crack talks about this a lot. So do
we I lost organ yesterday. It sucks, but I didn't
wager like I'm more than usual. I was wager my
normal amount.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Now.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
Thankfully Crack set us up with some good props yesterday
in that Bears Packers game. I think it was two
for two and there and I took the alternate lines,
which we both did. I got have taken Wilson, by
the way, fifty plus for like six hundred, like plus
plus six hundred. I didn't do it. I took the
cheaper one for forty.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
It didn't get higher than that, right, No, I think it.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
Was like a sixty like it went up to I
think sixty as the high as I could get to.
But I didn't do it because I looked at numbers.
I'm like forty fields about reasonable, right, like you get
a he had like near I think he had eighty
right over eighty years, such as it's ban corel management,
right like you, I WoT I lost Commanders yesterday, I
lost organ yesterday. I lost Carolina basketball where they scored
five points the last five minutes of the game. I

(04:55):
just that's sport. I just I can't do with that sport.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Yea.

Speaker 5 (05:02):
And but you know you want other one too, so
did's bank one Manta. But you're right, Brian, like the
NFL this year, I just can't catch a break, man,
I don't know it just it just hasn't happened. Man,
just hasn't happened.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Yeah, good morning, guys. And uh, you know it's not
a bad idea. I don't do that, but now that
you're saying, and of course it's easy to look back
at now, but like like that guy Wilson was over
like eighteen and a half yards, And you know a
lot of times where a lot of these guys that
aren't the stars of the team, if I send them

(05:38):
the last hour before the game, that is really great
information that I'm getting. So I figured to share with
you guys, of course, but never thought about that how
about that the alternate lines. Now I went over eighteen
and a half yards on them, but I never thought
to go over. But did you say forty and fifty
they had up there for alternates plus money.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
So when you send over the correlating props where you
have like Wilson over and Jacobs under, I figure in
my mind that you've gotten information that the reps are
going to be a certain way. So sometimes because Jacobs
had a kny thing right, like he was sort of questionable,
give him a decision. So I figured, like, hey, if

(06:21):
he's gonna be out, the Bears don't stop the run
very well. If he's gonna be out and you think
he's gonna be out and he's not gonna get he's
gonna play, but have limited reps, we actually end up
getting twenty carries. Just think, get a lot of yards.
I'll just take the other guy to get a bunch
of yards. I just figured i'd sort of together. And
we've talked about this before, like the backup running back angle,
right like in games like today, where you know the

(06:43):
Bills might be up big at some point or someone
else might be big. Like if you pre flop the
the the backup running back. Also thing that that assentering
college football, by the way, it's like running back stuff.
So books don't put up quarterback rushing attempts until the

(07:04):
game kicks off. I don't. I don't know why crack
I looked, maybe ask Christian about this. It doesn't make
any sense to me. But I I live been sort
of live betting like some of these college football quarterbacks
to go over the rushing because they don't put.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Him up to Kioff.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
I don't like, you have to be on the app
a kickoff to get the number, and I don't. I
don't get why they why don't give it to your
pre flop, but I think everyone's gonna do it. I
guess I don't know. It makes no sense. It doesn't
make any sense to me.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
I've never bet that. I've I only bet the yards
by the quarterbacks.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
I don't bet yards because because sacks count is sacks count.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
With Marcel Reid, yes, the A and M quarterback, he
was over his rushing yardage and then he gets sacked
a couple of times and he finishes under.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
So in the game Friday night, I took who played
Friday Night again?

Speaker 4 (07:50):
That was the Bam Oklahoma game.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
Oh, I took my tear over. He actually went under.
I think under too, but he went nineteen rush attempts
like I like it, like it.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
So that was the game.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Oh, that was the throw the ball game. I don't
know how many times I'm just yelling at the TV
throw the ball. I swear that sometimes pro quarterbacks, certainly
college quarterbacks. Materier that game, He's just standing there and
he's like, well, I can't throw the ball unless I
have an open guy, and it's like, no, dude, instead
of taking an eight yard loss and getting sacked, throw

(08:23):
the ball at the feet of a covered guy, you
know what I mean, Like save the yardage, throw the ball.
And yet it was just sack after sack after sack.
I don't get these quarterbacks. Man, the ball has got
to come out. If you're not running forward, you gotta
throw it. And there's so many quarterbacks that just don't
understand that. The other thing, though, is if you look

(08:44):
at the ramifications of these games, these crazy, insane twists
and turns. Last night, I don't know how the Bears
won that game. That was ridiculous, But they're gonna win
the NFC North, right, now right like, that's a huge
win in the standings of the playoff. If you go
back to Thursday night, the crazy win the Seahawks had

(09:04):
against the Rams. Like, the Seahawks right now are the
one seed. The Rams drop from the one seed to
the five seed, which is insanity. They go from the
one seed. They need two home playoff wins right now,
they probably need three road playoff wins.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
That is mammoth the difference between the two.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
So the ramifications of these weird, wacky games is significant.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Man, it's crazy.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
And you know who the favorite to win the Super brul.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
Is still still the Rams?

Speaker 5 (09:33):
Still the Rams.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Wow, I didn't look today yet.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
I can't wait to fade all these teams in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
We've been saying that all year. We can't wait.

Speaker 5 (09:41):
I'll tell you a situation right now. I don't even
know if the number is up yet. I don't know
if I maybe the look ahead Week eighteen will feature
the Seahawks at San Francisco for potentially the one seed
and the division that's probably gonna have the SF wins.
This weekend, they get the Bears, though, which will be
tough game. In between, Seattle comes here to Carolina next

(10:03):
week they're gonna beat Carolina. That's for the one seed
in the NFC potentially. I cannot wait to fad Sam
Darnald in that guys. One thing we have we have
to be honest about things. Yes, he made some good
throws when he had to at the end of the game.
The reason the game was thirty fourteen is because of him.

(10:23):
He threw two atrocious interceptions. He did like those. That's
also true. He's faced the Rams twice this year and
thrown six interceptions. Wow, that's right, it's not good. Yes,
he made throwsday. And also with about two minutes left,
Seattle had the ball, the game was tied, go down,
kick a field goal, win the game. They went run play,

(10:46):
screen pass, screen pass. That's how much they trusted Sam
Darnold in that moment. Run play, screen pass, screen pass.
They don't even trust him, Like, we have to be
honest about these things. The Bears, it's a great success
story this season. They've won six games. Now, as you
mentioned Brian who they have been trailing under two minutes left.
That's not sustainable. And when you get to the playoffs.

(11:09):
We saw this with the Vikings team. Was it two
years ago when they went thirteen to four, and you're like,
this team is twenty second in DV away. The Bears
are not good on defense. I think they're not. Yesterday
Malik Willis came in for Andrew Jordan Love and look
they look fine, looked fine, and look you create the
Bears for fighting till the end and making those plays.

(11:29):
But I'm not taking them over the Eagles in a
playoff game. I'm not taking them over the Lions in
their own division that ended up playing them in the playoffs.
The Rams, like takes Seannile before, take the Bears. So
your job is to win games. They're absolute doing a
great job of that. They should be committed for that.
I think we're seeing how much coaching matter is more
than any other year in the NFL right now with

(11:50):
Ben Johnson, with Mike Rable, with Liam Cohen, with the
fall off of Andy Reid a little bit just just
not as good right now, right where KiB Williams is
digging them most out of him, getting every single ounce
of Caleb Boyams, and he's there's room for provement too,
by the way. So all those things are great for
the Bears, but there's still not a super Bowl caliber team,
but I don't know think they're even like a road

(12:11):
playoff winning team at the moment. So uh, look the
the two Packers games, they won one lost one. They
might win in the division, which is crazy to me. Again,
I just it is what it is. But I don't
right now there's They're odds to win the Super Bowl

(12:31):
are eleven. They have the eleventh longest odds, and they
might be the something twenty I see, yeah, twenty two,
twenty five. I mean, look, look, it's crazy. The Rams
right now are the favorite and they're they're not gonna
have a home playoff game. Buffalo is fourth favorite, might
not have a home playoff game, Houston is sixth favorite,

(12:51):
might not have a home playoff game. Yeah, Like these
teams might have home playoff games and they're the three
of the sixth favorites within the Super Bowl might have
to do it on the road.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Yeah, And that to me doesn't mean say like home
field doesn't matter to me. It says we don't trust
these teams that have home field absolutely to me, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
But I do think that home field is not less
important now, But I don't I think that some places
it doesn't really matter as much. Guys are so prepared
to play in the road. Now, wait, when I first
got in the NFL, we don't even practice with noise
shout up to game day. Like now they have the
noise blaring and they have it's guys are more prepared

(13:31):
and condition to play plust. We've seen Kansas City go
on the road and win two playoff games to make
Super Bowl. We saw Tom Brady in twenty twenty. Now
that's during the COVID year, so maybe a little bit different,
but win three road games. So like more teams have
done it recently. But you know the Bengals went into
Kansas City and when as a championship game twice once
or twice twice.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Yeah, let me just tell you guys this, this Chicago team.
We've talked about anti beartt all year long about we
can't wait to fade in the playoffs, and this team
just has a horseshoe a lepre con up there. You
know why I mean that. If you thought the ending
of the Thursday night Seattle game was crazy, this was
absolutely crazy. To get the on side kick, which only,
like I said earlier, eight percent success right this year,

(14:12):
score a touchdown, fourth and fourth down insane. Then to finish,
how about the overtime, the fumble and the fourth and one?
I mean, crazy, crazy, But games like this is really
why we love football. I want to go over to
the the Oregon game here. I felt actually felt bad
for Jeff. I didn't have a bet on the game.
But you said jam was just going to be out man,

(14:33):
and guess what they were out man, you were. But
that's the issue with laying a huge favorite when when
they're favored by twenty one points, backdoor covers always open
and Oregon started resting their play. You know, Jeff, you
text that to us. I think it was like, like
I don't know if like the middle of the third.

Speaker 5 (14:49):
It was shoven minutes left the third quarter. They took
the lot, they put the they put the they put
a linebacker in who the wheel route touchdown after the
interception that they scored on, which is super nice. That
kid has played thirty snaps the season, Like wow, like
they just.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
So they And that's why it's you gotta it's hard
to lay points when you got a big team. I
think you said something last week that I loved, and
it's it was great you said, Oregon's smallest player is
bigger than Jmu's biggest player, and it is probably it
might be true, but I mean you have to lay

(15:23):
twenty one points and you put that in the equation
about hey, uh, they're gonna they could be pulling out
their starters and maybe playing even some third string guys.
Here JMU gets to cover. But today we're just so
lucky to get that car.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
That's the thing is you look at when it was
forty eight to thirteen, we all remember the Mark Sanchez
butt fumble, right, it was the button block Like JMU
was punting the ball. You know how college punters will
kind of run forward a little bit let their coverage
guys get down there.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
He ran forward a little bit, a little.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
Bit too much and kicked his teammate in the butt
with the ball. It was the button and Oregon picked
it up and ran for a touchdown. It was forty
eight to thirteen, and then JM, you just start scoring touchdowns.

Speaker 4 (16:08):
They go at forty thirteen.

Speaker 5 (16:11):
We had the ball at the at the nine of
forty eight thirteen, when more through the interception, like we
were just run the ball there, kick a field goal,
like it's probably just like just over at that point.
Plus JMU played their starters the whole game on offense,
like they tried to score points at the end, which
looked titled to do Yeah. Look, I made out money
other ways in this game. I couldn't believe, you know,

(16:32):
I look at those the live the drive props. Sometimes
I hit four in a row where Oregon was minus
one twenty or less to score touchdown, they scored four
touchdowns in a row. And I don't I don't understand
some of that market. So look again, it big old
management matters. I protected myself there. Yeah, I'd beat like
it's you know, shouldn't I feel bad? I'm also upset

(16:56):
because I think like some of the worst people ended
up back door covering that game, and I don't like that.
It's just like it's like like some like you got just.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
I never thought of it like that. I just thought
I got screwed. I didn't think like someone that didn't
deserve to win one. I never looked like that.

Speaker 5 (17:15):
Well, there's like someone like that wrote this, like wrote
a long thing about this game, got every piece of
it wrong, like every single point wrong, and still won
their bets. Like that kind of pisses me off more
than losing my bet because I nailed the game right.
I exactly called exactly what's gonna happen, right, and organ
just call the dogs, and that is what it is.
Dan Line's job is not to cover for us. I
wish it was, but it's not his job. His job

(17:35):
is to do exactly what last night was. Get everyone
out you could.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
You know.

Speaker 5 (17:39):
Then people say, well, the starters came back in at someone,
and they certainly did, but how hard are you going
to play up forty eight to twenty with seven minutes
left in the game.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
If that's your shot to play, you play hard.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Like if I've been on the bench the whole time
and I really get some run I'm talking.

Speaker 5 (17:54):
About I'm talking about the other way around. Like in
some place sometimes the starters went back in okay, or
on defense, like they just didn't play like they just like,
how are they gonna play the twenty eight points with
seven minutes left? They just go through the motion. It's
like that when you signal to your team, we're putting
in the backup to the backup. The Dwight shret is
going into the game. The whole team just shuts down.

(18:17):
Mentally like it just is, and that's fine. We're gonna
win a game by a lot of points. They're gonna
have all this films, get ready to play Texas stack
of like, we gotta get better, we gotta get better.
It's good for motivation. The fact is, as much as
we like maybe the story of the G five programs,
no name should have been in the playoff, like it
just no doubt, it just is what it is. Like

(18:40):
it's a fun story. It's fun. The one thing I
don't I don't, I still don't understand is the idea
that they have to be included or the regular season
doesn't matter for anyone but the Power four teams. And
the fact is it really doesn't. First of all, but
like if JMU went twelve and one and played in
the Pop Tarts Bowl against BYU, is there is this

(19:03):
still a bad season? Like it's a good season, right,
So twelve and one like the same, the same success
they had, it's still gonna count. Instead now the end
of the season getting blown up by Oregon. I don't know.
I'm mad and not Dame has left out, which I
think is the biggest atrosity of this.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
All that was rough and both Jeremiah Love and Jidarian
Price have declared for the NFL Draft.

Speaker 6 (19:22):
I didn't know.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
I didn't know both.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
Guys were going out, and I'm like, oh gosh, you know,
I would have loved to have seen that the improved defense,
the one two combo at running back CJ. Carr turned
into a real player. I would have loved to see
the name in the player ever.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
Think had the fourth best odds to win the title
before the.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
Playoff fourth, Yeah, right up there, man and games. I'm
watching Alabama Oklahoma. I'm like, Notre Dame would beat both
of these bum teams. I'm watching A and M and
Miami and they lost to both of them. But today
I think they beat both of them. But we'll never
know that. I'll tell you what real fast before we go.

Speaker 7 (19:58):
It was.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
It was kind of funny in a horrible way, the
worst way possible. But I had I had your ducks
Jeff covering, and I also had Packers money line and
both unraveled at basically the same time. It was jmu
with the ninety nine yard drive. It's fourth and goal
from the one, and I'm like, al right, this is it,
and they just walked into the end zone. I'm like,

(20:19):
all right, I lose that one, and then almost simultaneously,
it was Caleb Williams throwing the deep shot to DJ
Moore to win in dramatic fashion. And I wasn't even mad.
I was just a broken man at that point. I
was like, Yeah, why wouldn't that happen? How could that
not happen? I am just destined to happen that way.
But we press on, man, we move forward and try to,

(20:40):
you know, shake off the bad beats. It's tough. We've
got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight year

app All right, NFL stuff right around the corner. But Jeff,
you said something that made my attention. You know, it
peaked my interest if you will, okay, you said the

(22:48):
formula is not sustainable with the Chicago Bears, and I'd
completely agree.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
Right.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
You've got six come from behind wings in the final
two minutes. That's not sustainable. You're living off of takeaways.
Defensively stainable either. But if you buy that college football,
I think the poster child for that is Alabama. Their
success is not sustainable. And I've been squawking about this
for weeks now and I've mostly been right. They did

(23:15):
come back and beat Oklahoma. Man, you talk about taking
a seventeen tohing dominant lead and just throwing it in trash.
It's exactly what Oklahoma did. But before we go any further,
I think for anyone listening and sometimes, man, I'm doing
the Saturday Show. Holy hell, you would think Rich Ornberger
and Jared Smith have Roll Tide tattooed on their stomachs.

(23:37):
In the Thug Life, it says, you know, like they
my gosh, I say anything halfway critical about the Tide,
and they come after my juggular. But all I'm saying
is props for them winning any of the games that
they've won, especially beating Oklahoma. I'm not taking credit away
from the wins that they've already gotten, but what I
am saying is the way they won those games that's

(24:00):
not sustainable.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
Like the end is near.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
If you look at that Oklahoma game, just cliffs notes
version yea, like, think of this duplicating itself going forward, Like,
look at what it took to win that game. Oklahoma
is still up seventeen to seven. Xavier Robinson, a running
back drops a pass wide open like he's going into
the red zone if nothing else, and you're going up

(24:23):
at a minimum twenty to seven. That's a big deal.
You needed him to just drop the ball. How can
you count on that going forward? The very next play,
the punter just doesn't punt the ball. He drops the
ball like he's about to punt it and he just
dropped it on the ground and it turned into a
punt block like that an awful pick six right, like

(24:45):
not even like you throw it down the middle and
something weird happens and it's brought awful, awful read by mate.

Speaker 7 (24:52):
Horrible.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
Bama averaged on the ground one point one yard rushing,
like how can you count me? Bernard sensational catch toward
the end of the game, huge catch. It was like
a combination of Randy Moss and David Tyree kind of
how can you count on any of these things being sustainable?
They are not. Alabama is total fools gold and I

(25:16):
can't wait for them to get kicked in the teeth
by IU.

Speaker 5 (25:22):
Yeah, so far on the early the early numbers here,
I think Indiana is going to cover against Bama, which
I mean, can you imagine saying that like three years ago? No,
it's I think Indiana's going to cover the seven against Maama.
I think actually a lot of these games are going
to be super low score. I would not surprise me
if a bunch of the the the semifinal quarterfinal games
went under. I'm trying to pull up here. We go

(25:43):
to get to the game. So uh you know, oh geez,
there's so totals are low. Miami Ohio State ben MG
have forty two and a half. That's an NFL total,
but that's with a ten with ten points fifty two
and a half for Oregon Texas Technics, I think it's
going under. I think Alabama team total under certainly playable.
Georgia Oldmiss might have some points if I had to guess,

(26:05):
but yeah, I mean Indiana minus is seven.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Now.

Speaker 5 (26:08):
The one thing Indiana though, that it's worth mentioning, they
lost one of their better defensive players at the end
of that Ohio State game. One of the DEFENSI time
not actually two D tackles. It's not a team that's
deep as the team that's very good at the top.
The depth is U start playing a role in games
like this. Now for Alabama, remember the first the first

(26:31):
Alabama Oklahoma game that Alabama lost, they had a postgame
win expectancy of ninety five percent. So like that was
a game that very clearly they should have won. This
game was flipped for Oklahoma just outplayed them but turnovers
and a botch kick. I will tell you this, not
a person who who thinks that you know that games

(26:52):
are fixed, of course not. I don't think that tell
you what. Men dropping that punt though, who buddy like
not not up on blocked crack. I don't know if
you're watching the game, he just dropped the ball as
he went to kick it.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
Yeah, I actually didn't didn't catch that. But people are
now that you mentioned the Oregon Texas Tech game. I'm
I already got a text message Jeff opinion on Oregon games.
So I guess that's what he means.

Speaker 5 (27:21):
Oregon Texas Tech. Yeah, eitherink Organ is better, but I
mean I gotta dig into Texas Tech there. Texas Tech
is really good on defense. They've also just kind of
played no one like Orgon like this sid so my
so my Jamu take was like quite simple, like Jami's
defense is good, haven't played Orgon yet, Like Texas Tech
just hasn't played in Organ this season. It doesn't mean

(27:42):
that they can't, they just haven't. And so their defensive line,
which I go, I'm gonna watch them, you know, the
next couple of days. There's incredible. It's it's absolutely incredible
defense like Bailey and then Rodriguez won the buck Kiss
like incredible job this season for those guys. I just
I mean they played. I'm trying to look right now,
have the sheet in front of me. I mean by

(28:03):
U is twenty third official offense. I come on, and
they did played nobody. They played. No quarterback look like
like Dante More the entire season, no offensive line like Oregon,
no skill guys like Oregon. I'm not saying that that
that we're gonna put up a thousand points. Also worth
noting that Texas Tech's offense hasn't been as good this
season against a couple of teams that they've played that

(28:24):
are good on defense. It just has that matters, right,
And Oregon has won games this season in every style
of mageable, close, on the road, blowout. So now this game,
the one such ting I do have crack is this
is a a nine am am Easter kickoff. It's a
It's twelve noon in Miami. That's early for Oregon. So

(28:48):
that's concerned. How about just sort of starting slow otherwise
I think we will. It be close game, but I
think we're gonna win.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Okay, Brian, Indiana Alabama, I know you're anti Alabama, but
can you lay the seven points?

Speaker 3 (29:01):
Absolutely?

Speaker 2 (29:02):
I can.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Yes, I've laid just under seven points, which obviously is
better to do. But yes, very confident about IU. They
might drop the hammer on Bama. Like Bama's a weird team.
I don't want to act like they have no talent
or don't present any problems, but they have obvious deficiencies. Man,
they still can't run the ball, and I don't expect

(29:25):
them to have much success on the ground against IU.
And then it's all about, you know, Ty Simpson taking
you to the promised land, and at some point that
well is going to run dry. And I just don't
see Bama matching points with IU. I don't see it.
But that's why they play the games.

Speaker 5 (29:40):
I'm with you, I don't I don't see it. I
don't see it either, but again, that's why they play.
You're right, that's why they play the games. But Indiana
this year, though, has just been so like prepared for
all these games, all these moments. I don't know why
it would change your Telabama.

Speaker 3 (29:56):
Yeah, yeah, all right, Hey, special treats boys and girls.
We have Martin Weiss for you, little stocking stuff for right,
A little Martin Weiss under the tree, if you will.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
What's going on Martin.

Speaker 9 (30:08):
I don't know how special it is, but or a treat,
but I'm here.

Speaker 6 (30:11):
You know thanks now.

Speaker 9 (30:13):
Dolphins quarterback quinn Ewers, he's getting to treat you get
in this first NFL start against the Bengals to a
tongue by Low.

Speaker 6 (30:19):
Expected to be the third quarterback.

Speaker 9 (30:21):
Emergency quarterbacks show quinn Ewers looking to start against the Bengals.
T Higgins good to go. He was dealing with concussion issues.
He'll play in that game against the Dolphins. The Raven's
safety Kyle Hamilton has an ankle injury. Expected to work
out before the Patriots game. Hamilton expected to be more
likely to play than not. Marvin Harrison Junior and for
the Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Resid and heel injury. He's

(30:44):
expected to play today. They got the Falcons. Nick Chubb
Texans running back with some ribs. He's expected to play
against the Raiders. Tyrod Taylor is expected to be active,
but backing up rookie Brady Cook in today's game against
the Saints. Last night, the Payers beat the Packers twenty
two to sixteen.

Speaker 6 (31:01):
Packers quarterback Jordan Love.

Speaker 9 (31:02):
And concussion protocol Montes Sweet hit him at the nearing
the end of the game knocked him out of there.

Speaker 6 (31:07):
Malik Willis finished it.

Speaker 9 (31:09):
Eagles won the NFC East last night and went back
to back NFC East champions for the first time and
over twenty years. Eagles won against the Commanders twenty nine
to eighteen. Rams Fire Special teams coordinator Chase Blackburn and
college football guys have been talking about it all morning.
The quarterfinals are set. You have two seed Ohio State
verse ten seed in Miami, that's seven thirty on New

(31:31):
Year's Eve, four seed Texas Technic, five seed Oregon playing
the Orange Bowl noon on ESPN, one seed at Indiana
and nine c to Alabama Rolls Bowl four o'clock, and
three seed Georgia and six seed Old misplayed the Sugar Bowl.

Speaker 6 (31:45):
Those games will be on New Year's Day. Fellas, back
to you.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (31:49):

you guys are prepared mentally for the Quinn Youwers experience today.
As Martin Weis was just talking about first NFL start
for the former Texas quarterback, I love this, Mike McDaniel.

(32:24):
He said they need more conviction at the quarterback position,
which I get to a not exactly you know, the
poster child for conviction these days. But he also said
that Quinn Youwrs gives the team its best chance to
win on Sunday, which is absolutely false. Like, what are
we doing right here? This is Quinn you Wers first
NFL start. You can tell me to a tongue of

(32:45):
iloa is and any good certainly isn't worth the contract
that he has. That's fine, and that's true, But you
can't tell me quin youwrers gives the team a better
chance to win.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
There's just flat out.

Speaker 5 (32:54):
Maybe the better chance to Zach Wilson.

Speaker 4 (32:56):
Baby, Yeah, like I would buy that.

Speaker 5 (33:00):
Wild, just so wild. That did well. Dolphins won four
in a row and it's only Tua was playing great,
but they were winning football games they lost and immediately out.
It does feel like McDaniel couldn't wait the bench toa
like he's waiting for the moment. You can't do it

(33:20):
until he plays a poor game, wasn't great. We had
the under for two yards by the way, seventy yards
through three quarters, two hundred yards in the fourth quarter
of that game, which do you remember that now? Crackling
back to Monday night? So that whatever that was? Uh,
and you know it so the the thing that that is,

(33:43):
you know, no, you're right, Brian, it doesn't give him
the best chance to win. Maybe if if it's Quen
you weres or you know, that's maybe that's what it is.
It's like when you were giving back to Zach Wilson.
But they just were trying to find a way to
bench too, and they found it. It's like it feels
like that simple.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
Yeah, yeah, you know what you I didn't think of
it like that, Jeff. As soon as they they couldn't
wait the bench of me. You're probably right. Uh. But
both these teams were officially eliminated for the playoffs last week.
So this is one of those games that probably not
many people will you know, be watching the game but
Joe Burrow will continue to start for the eliminated Bengals

(34:18):
because he quote love football and you know, but but
two has been shut down for the rest of the season,
which is probably a good idea, I guess because of
his concussion history. And this guy's a seventh round pick. Here, Quinn, listen,
I want to see the kid. I want to see
what he's gonna do to be a seventh round pick
and start an NFL game. That's got to be an

(34:40):
unbelievable feeling for him and his family.

Speaker 5 (34:42):
Explain it to you. I've done it before.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
Yeah, that was cute, Brian.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
I want to ask you real quick for as a
Dolphins fan. Yeah, what do you think is hate they
should do now with to it? Did they cut him
before next season? It's a massive uh that cap charge,
like like one hundred million dollars or something. Do you
think they should try to trade him or.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
Absolutely they said try to trade him. I don't think
that's gonna work out. They're probably gonna move on from him.
I think they should keep him myself, unless you have
a better solution at quarterback. I don't understand how you
benefit from just releasing the guy when you owe him
so much money, I would keep him around. I don't
look at him as like dead weight, and you know,
he's stunting the growth of our phenom in the making

(35:27):
or like if you don't have a legitimate quarterback solution,
it's like, why are you paying him that much money
just to get rid of him? It doesn't make sense.
Like if you look at the Broncos, right, they they
let Russell Wilson go and ate all of that dead
cap money, but they drafted bow Knicks, you know, and
bow Knicks became the quarterback from that point on. Unless
the Dolphins are drafting a guy like similar to bow

(35:50):
Knicks who could be their guy of the future, I
don't know why you pay that much money and let
him go. It doesn't make sense to me. You got
to have a viable quarterback in place my mind to
let to a go. But I think they're gonna let
them go regardless.

Speaker 5 (36:04):
I yeah, I mean, I don't know what the shooters
will look like, but it sounds like that's what they're
planning on doing.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
Yeah, yeah, all right, We've got Jeff Schwartz, eight year
NFL veteran. Bill Krackenberger professional sports handicapper, I'm probably you no.
Coming up next, the parlay platter, Ah, yes, we each
have one selection for you. We pull it together for
a greater payout. We will combine legs of this parlay.
Coming up next, It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff,

(36:30):

Speaker 4 (36:55):
All right, let's do this.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Check this out.

Speaker 3 (37:01):
Ah, yes, the platter. We each have one selection for you.
We pull it together for a greater payout.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
Crack.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
We start with you.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
What do you like besides minshew, I'm assuming you're fading
minsheet today, right tradition, Let's go.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
Let's go to New York Giants games. Let's go Singletary
under his rushing yards twenty nine and a half at
at MGM. The singletary under rushing yards. For my portion
of the platter.

Speaker 5 (37:25):
I will fake Gardner mintjew See plus three. This is
my favorite bet of to day. It's a lot about
this game. But okay, the Chiefs are down three offits
of tackles potentially, right, I think the right guard might
be back, So she writes with a concussion protocol all week,
holler Brown didn't play last week? Oh, Patrick Mahomes is
all planning. Chris Jones is a hamstring injury. Like, what

(37:48):
motivation is there for this game? I think there's none,
zero motivation. I think you lose a game out right.
I'll take Tennessee.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
Okay, going tennis.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
I thought you were literally fading minshew Mania right there.
But you'll just okay, so you take the Titans plus one.

Speaker 5 (38:02):
Forty no plus three. I think they went out if
I'll take the points on getting.

Speaker 4 (38:06):
Them, Okay, I got it.

Speaker 5 (38:08):
I'm about that silly.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
Come on, I thought we were getting crazy here this,
you know. No, Okay, Titans plus three, gotcha. I'm gonna
take the Carolina Panthers plus three and you're back here
right there.

Speaker 5 (38:18):
I like that challenge.

Speaker 3 (38:20):
There you go, here's a crazy stat for you Okay,
if you think about Tampa Bay, we think you think
their offense is pretty good, right, Their passing game is
pretty good, Baker Mayfield doing his thing. They're twentieth in
the league this season in passing yards per game. You
know who they're tied with, like literally down to the
decimal point in passing yards per game. Saints. Oh, the Saints.

(38:43):
They're they're tied. They're deadlocked with the Saints, right that
think Just consider how we think about Tampa's passing attack
and the Saints passing attack. We think about them being
much different, right, Like, they're exactly the same statistically this season,
So that's pretty tally.

Speaker 4 (39:00):
And then also you look at Carolina.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
Carolina has been good after a loss this season, six
and zero against the spread. They've been good as underdogs.
They have not been good as favorites. But they're underdogs
today and Tampa. I don't see how you trust Tampa
like laying four on the road.

Speaker 4 (39:16):
I just don't.

Speaker 5 (39:17):
So point number doesn't make sense, dude, Like right now,
Tampa Bay has lost five or the last six. They
haven't looked terribly good at all in the last six games.
Carolina has just been so hit or miss they they've
been good, bad, good, bad good bad. Last week was
certainly a bad loss. We have to think that they
can sort of bounce back this week, knowing how important

(39:37):
this game is. I don't get the number.

Speaker 4 (39:39):
Yeah, very nice.

Speaker 3 (39:41):
Okay, So if you look at these three legs right here,
if you combined our three picks, that would be plus
five ninety two my almost true odds. This crack says
almost six to one.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Yeah, pretty good payout. Not bad.

Speaker 4 (39:52):
They've got a fighting chance at this one.

Speaker 5 (39:54):
Guys, then we do two.

Speaker 3 (39:56):
Yeah, just that, you know, IU minus seven really sweet
in the pot, right.

Speaker 4 (40:04):
Or your favorite crack go I you money line?

Speaker 3 (40:06):
Huh like a little extra sauce on you know, a
little salt, little seasoning right there.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
Very nice. Yeah, I'm looking at the uh looking at this.
These two games you guys picked, there has been buy
back on this. So the Tennessee was was a hot
take earlier in the week, some buy back this morning.
I'm actually seeing the screen in front of me. Go
to some three and a half Kansas City, the Tampa game.
There has been nothing but Tampa money. So good. They've

(40:33):
opened up two and a half, went to three, so
they grab the three there. Yeah, all right, good deal, resh, Yeah,
very nice. I like it.

Speaker 3 (40:40):
I like where we stand in this one. All right,
coming up next when you look at how chaotic and
how weird the playoff picture looks. Who's your super Bowl
prediction as we speak right now, if you had to
make one today, what is it? And plenty more previews,
including man, this defense, Jeff called it sucky to the tee?

Speaker 4 (41:01):
Oh what is going on? Happy Sunday, Happy week sixteen
to you in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (41:06):
As we get you all set, Man, you talk about
a trash defense that was it was propped up for
a little bit here, talked about glowingly. We'll get to
that in just a second. Throughout the entire football season,
bet MGM will offer all different types of no sweat
tokens and odds boost tokens. Be on the lookout for
no sweat, same game parlay tokens, parlay boost tokens, and

(41:28):
so much more. Let's get to a preview first, and
then we'll get to our Super Bowl predictions as of today,
which is very difficult. This is like needle in a
haystack type stuff. We've got the Chargers at the Cowboys today,
and the Cowboys a slight favorite at home point and
a half. And it's funny, Jeff, I just thought of

(41:48):
you last week before the Vikings game for the Cowboys,
and you're like you called it. You're like, I don't
know why we're acting Like the Cowboys defense was good
and there was a pocket in the season where it
was like, like, whoa, look at the trade, look at
getting Quentin Williams, they're getting healthy, Like look at this
defense lying around.

Speaker 4 (42:05):
It's like, no, they're trash. They're they're freaking terrible.

Speaker 3 (42:09):
Only the Bengals have given up more points per game
than the Cowboys. They give up thirty points per game.
And they're facing a Chargers team that although their offensive
line is banged up, they can still put points up
on the board, and I would expect that to happen.
Could be a high scoring game here today in Big D.

Speaker 5 (42:26):
The pocket of time where people talked about them being
good on defense was giving up twenty eight to the Chiefs,
Like that was the game. Like Quentin Williams, guys, he's
the difference maker. Chiefs scored twenty have scored twenty eight
points combined since that game. They might not have they

(42:46):
might not have like there's like this thirst in the
media to tell you everything is good and not give
any negative to any team. I'm not like that. Maybe
that's why I'm sitting with you guys on Sunday. No,
I just I just can't do it. I can't do it, crack,

(43:09):
I can't tell you something it's sunshine of flowers when
it's not. The Cowboys defense has been near the bottom
of the NFL the entire season. Adding a defensive tackle
is not going to change anything. Oh, by the way,
a defense tackle who is now in can cush your
protocol like we don't know if he's gonna even play today.
I like the Chargers. I like the Chargers here yesterday,

(43:29):
I mean last Sunday. I think was a very important
game for their psyche. They physically took it to the Chiefs,
which is which is impressive, and they're just a solid team.
Now the tackles are a problem, but who is watching
the past for the Cowboys who you worried about here?
And so yeah, I like the Chargers here. I don't
quite get this number here. The Chargers continue to win games.

(43:52):
Sometimes they make it harder themselves, but so do a
lot of teams in the NFL Cowboys, with Eagles win
last night, are now eliminated from the postseason. I'll be
a little dejected today, I would imagine, but that first
repeat winner of the NFC East since two thousand and three,
which is kind of wild. But that's where we are
now with that division. So I uh will tend the
Chargers cracking this one. Don't buy the Cowboys defense. Don't

(44:15):
buy what what are they playing for today? Like season
ended last night, so I don't know what they're playing for.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
Kind of knew that, you know, the Eagles are a
big favorite. They probably kind of knew that they were
gonna not be playing for something.

Speaker 5 (44:25):
I mean, I'll tell you what. Man, Sorry to cut up,
but like like you just believe the craziest stuff when
you're playing. Buddy, I remember being on teams. I remember
the Giants and we were five and five, I think
both seasons. I was on the Giants. After ten games
and you're just like, guys, we win four in a row,
we win three to the last four because the Giants
had won a super Bowl nine and seven, You're like,

(44:46):
just just getting Eli has done this before. Just getting
the playoffs. That's the way you feel as a player crack.
It never goes away the entire season until you're out
of the playoffs. So we might we're looking at the odds,
all I'll tell us we're eleventh best on the zero.
No one cares. Now, of course it's a little different now,
it's just so readily available. We can have that option
back then to go find the odds like that, I

(45:08):
had to call people like you probably to find the odds.
But the fact is, like, we just don't think that
way ever as players, and so no matter what the
Cowboys odds actually were, they thought last night, as we're
sitting in the hotel waiting for this game, that if
the if the Commanders can just get this one, just
wins this one. Commanders, we got a chance, We got
a chance. Chance is over now it's done.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
Yeah, the Cowboys were officially, like you said, eliminated after
the Eagles win yesterday. The big question for us better
is now is how many of the veteran players, including Dak,
will play the rest of the season. That did say
earlier in the week he plans to play the last
three games, regardless of the teams fighting for a playoff
spot or not. The line in this game is still
one and a half. Wise Guy Crew bet minus one

(45:53):
and a half. Early in the week went to two
to two and a half, but now it's back down
to one and a half. I'm thinking because the public
is on the Chargers, especially now that they're hearing they
didn't even know. They just want they just want action.
The public. They don't care a but they just need
action on every TV game, every game, they need action.
So they hear automatically, oh wow, So now that the

(46:13):
Eagles won, Dallas is, oh, they're not going to play.
Give me the Chargers. So I'm interested interested to see
if Christians is one of the big games.

Speaker 5 (46:23):
With the publics on the Chargers in this game.

Speaker 2 (46:25):
The public, well, just the public's funny as soon as
they hear that that Dallas is out of the playoffs,
no chance to play and Chargers are still fighting, you know.

Speaker 5 (46:36):
Okay, yeah, okay, I buy that.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
The public. I'd like to see if they're if the
public is on it with the MGM, and you know,
as we know, yeah, I'm agreeing with the public. Not stinks,
but I'm not. It's not my favorite, but I'm agreeing
with Christian more than anything on these seventy five eighty
percent plays again three and zero last week, MGM, and uh,

(47:04):
you know, just just fading the public. And they've been really,
really lucky. This is the This may be the year
of the bookmaker. You know, if you go to like
the Chinese zodiac, the Year of the Dog, the year
of the bookmaker, that's the kind of year it's been.
They have made money like every single week, and a
bunch of it. So we'll have to ask Christian when

(47:25):
he comes on, But this is it is a pretty
big game for the Chargers, looking to keep pace with
a chance to still win the division and are looking
at a wildcard game right now.

Speaker 7 (47:34):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (47:34):
They've been dominating the clock in their game. It's a
lot of the reason why they won six at the
last seven. Look for more of that today, Harbaugh. You know,
they want to keep the ball out of Dak's hands
and the and the offense in general playing the rest
of the season with nothing to lose. So this will
be an interesting game. Uh, now that I see the
line has bounced back, This line was, like I said,

(47:55):
one and a half a wise guy crew gave it
out minus one and a half and win the two
even if couple two and a half down to one
and a half again. Matter of fact, it's one and
a half minus one and a half minus five at
bet MGM interested to see if that's on Christian's list
of teams they're going to be rooting for today.

Speaker 4 (48:12):
By the way, crack, when is it the year of
the better?

Speaker 5 (48:15):
When does that last year in the NFL?

Speaker 4 (48:17):
Man we needed?

Speaker 2 (48:18):
Maybe, but it doesn't matter.

Speaker 5 (48:20):
I don't know, man, the the the Bartenders, about five
hundred the people I fade have won like a majority
of their games last month of the season. I don't
like people that are the fades. They had they had
the Bears last night.

Speaker 2 (48:32):
But oh yeah, I agree.

Speaker 5 (48:36):
It's been one of those years where like it's got
to turn at some point. Maybe doesn't. But the the
for those are unaware the eighty seventy rule. Christian will
come on next segment. He'll tell us which teams are
getting a majority of the tickets. If someone is getting
eighty percent of the tickets, they they don't cover the
spread like every week like this year, I'm probably gonna

(49:00):
blindly bet those today to see how that goes. Of course,
this will be the week that the public smashes. But
right I think it's worth putting a little bit of
money on on what Christian says.

Speaker 4 (49:09):
It Normally it does work out.

Speaker 3 (49:11):
It's funny because I wrote everything down last week, and
like the big money are like the high percentage those
teams covered, Like the Niners had almost eighty percent of
the money and covered in disgusting fashion. It was ridiculous.
At the end of that game, again, the.

Speaker 5 (49:28):
Jets did not The Jets had like eighty percent of
the money right right.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
Right right and that way, and the jag smashed him.
But he also mentioned Houston had almost eighty percent of
the money and they had a cake walk. He said
the Bills had around sixty five percent of the money
and they won and covered, and the one was Carolina.
Carolina had eighty percent. They didn't cover against.

Speaker 5 (49:48):
The I took New Orleans. I took a New Orleans
there after he.

Speaker 3 (49:51):
Said that, yeah, but you're right, I'm not trying to
rain on the parade. Normally, when Christian is like I was,
eighty percent of the money is on this team. A
lot of times that team doesn't cover probably loses outright
the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (50:02):
I mean, do you know how much it's a sick amount,
A million it's in the millions. I mean, just think
about these games yesterday, the swings, Brian, you said it
both games, so you had Green Bay money line at
Green Bay and then you had the Green organ Just
think of the money the swing Yeah, nationwide, worldwide. I mean,

(50:24):
I hate to say it. People don't think there's a
lot of betting going on worldwide. Could have been a
billion dollar swing. That's how much money on a TV game?
Are you kidding me? A standalone TV game on a Saturday.
Oh boy.

Speaker 4 (50:37):
By the way, last thing, Jeff, you were right about that.

Speaker 3 (50:39):
You mentioned the Cowboys got a lot of flowers for
holding the Chiefs to twenty eight points on Thanksgiving. Yeah,
since then, the Chiefs haven't scored twenty eight points. They
only scored ten against the Texans. They scored thirteen against
the Chargers. So all these bouquets of roses that we
gave the Cowboys for a great defensive effort against the Chiefs,

(51:00):
you know, giving up twenty eight points to Casey, Yeah,
Casey hasn't even scored twenty eight points in the last
two games. So yeah.

Speaker 5 (51:06):
The problem with the eighty percent rule is like today
we're gonna have to bet on the Browns plus ten
and a half and like they could just lose that
game by forty five. Like that's the only thing about
those some of that like they're gonna be some like
who the Saints playing today? Whoever the Saints are playing the.

Speaker 4 (51:24):
Giant Jets, their host Jets, Like you don't have to back.

Speaker 5 (51:26):
The Jets today? Like those Yeah, those are the hard
things where like you look at like last week, if
we played that, we got to back at least Arizona
as a fighting chance, and the Jacksonville was like can
win Jacksonville. So I'm curiously what what what what Christian says,
especially two about Crackston asking about that fight crack made
like a killer on that fight there.

Speaker 3 (51:46):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 5 (51:47):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (51:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (51:48):
Before we get to Christian, I'm curious what you guys
think just looking at the playoff picture. If you had
to predict today and maybe you even want to bet
on it today, like let's say you had to who
are you to be in the super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (52:01):
It's like it's.

Speaker 3 (52:02):
Ridiculous to look at both the AFC the NFC. If
you're like me, I'm like, I don't like this team.
I don't like that team. I don't like this team.
I don't like this team's path or it's like, who
are you picking? Someone's got to go to the super.

Speaker 5 (52:13):
Bowl, right, I'll tell you who. I like the Rams
and I like the Broncos. I've been on the Broncos
for a couple of weeks now, as you guys know,
I think they're a good team. And if bo Nicks
can give a little more what he's doing, it turned
them into a really really good team. So I I
would take those. Those would be.

Speaker 2 (52:32):
My super Bowl champ. Just has gotten no love anywhere.
No one has talked about the Eagles still, there's still
a ten to one. I mean, there's five teams ahead
of them. It's unbelievable. The Eagles just have People are
just not talking about them reaching the Super Bowl again,

(52:52):
are you a back track? Who are you? I'm just
saying it. If I had to choose someone out of
the list, Sure, let's go down the list real quick.
Rams four and a half to one, Seattle five to one,
Bill's eight to one, Broncos eight, eight and a half
to one, Eagles Texas telling ten to one, Patriots thirteen.
And then you go higher and hire and hire. If
I had to pick someone from that list. Absolutely, the Eagles.

(53:15):
If I'm forced to pick, ok, and you can even
shop around, you might be able to get eleven, maybe
even a twelve to one. I would say ten to one.
That sounds like a high number.

Speaker 7 (53:23):
Though.

Speaker 4 (53:24):
How about the AFC team.

Speaker 3 (53:25):
Who's the matchup with the Eagles facing?

Speaker 2 (53:28):
Boy, that's tough, right. I hate to give, I really do.
I hate to give. Everyone wants to give the Broncos.
Everyone's there's some My co host on my podcast is
a Bronco guy. Everyone's, you know, riding the Broncos this year. Boy,
I don't know. Brian. Do you think they can get there? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (53:49):
Absolutely, they certainly can get there. I've I haven't backed
them all year. I think they have a very high floor,
which I'm giving them credit for their defense, their offensive line,
but I think there's feeling is limited, you know. I
just I don't trust him, even with two home playoff
games to get to the super Bowl. So but someone's
got to go right. They've got a decent chance. They've
got a really good chance to get there with the

(54:11):
landscape being what it is.

Speaker 5 (54:12):
Yeah, I don't trust people are like Buffalo, I know,
have you seen their defense? Like they win against one run.

Speaker 3 (54:20):
Yeah, can't stop.

Speaker 5 (54:21):
So yeah, I mean, look, I think it's wide open.
I go back to I go back to my theory
of like who do you see raising a trophy at
the end of the season, Sam Darnold, Drake May, Caleb Williams,
or do we see Matt Stafford?

Speaker 3 (54:40):
Yeah, I mean, hey, you might be right. But if
there's ever a year for a didn't see that one coming.
I didn't see this guy with Goodell, it's this year.

Speaker 5 (54:48):
You know, think about his NFL history though, like it's
it's it doesn't happen.

Speaker 4 (54:54):
You got some rights.

Speaker 2 (54:59):
You just said that was interesting.

Speaker 5 (55:01):
Yeah, yeah, Eli, I mean I guess when Eli did it,
it was maybe unique in two thousand and seven.

Speaker 3 (55:06):
And is this that you're Jeff is Remember the Colts
when they won their Super Bowl, how they couldn't stop
the rush at all? Remember toward the end of the
regular season, Maurice Jones Drew went crazy with the Jaguars
against the Colts, And you're Lefe, the Colts are going
to be a disaster come playoff time. They have to
face Larry Johnson and the Chiefs. Forget it, And all
of a sudden, they're Yeah, we're just gonna stop the rush. Now,

(55:28):
It's like, what where did that come from? Like could
you see something crazy like that? At least the Bills
being respectable out of nowhere against the rush, Like, it's possible,
it could happen.

Speaker 5 (55:39):
Possible. I lose weight too, and it's just like this
doesn't happen. Things are things are things are possible. That's possible.

Speaker 2 (55:47):
Jeff says, that's just not gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (55:50):
Like I I'm hungry up, am I gonna get a snack?
I don't know. It's it's possible that, Like I think
that these things can happen. I just I don't expect
them to happen. Yeah, sure it's possible.

Speaker 2 (56:02):
Brian, do you guys see the Jaguars or Texans lifting
the trumping? I just don't. I just don't. I don't
see these teams. And then you look at the AFC North,
my god, the Steelers, I just don't see it. But
then who's left? Though early in the show, I think
Brian said who is left? There really is? You have
to pick somebody. So I'm looking at the AFC Jesus,

(56:26):
I guess the Patriots and Bills are the shiny stars
and the Broncos. I don't know. I can't go to
the AFC North and South, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (56:33):
Did anyone I pick? I pretty much hate. I love
the Rams, but I hate their path now. I hate
that they go from as it stands right now, two
home playoff games to three road playoff games. That's a
huge difference.

Speaker 4 (56:47):
I don't love their path.

Speaker 3 (56:49):
And in the AFC, man like, I see more bad
than good with every team with every time.

Speaker 2 (56:57):
I didn't know you, guys, well I'm not you Brownan,
I didn't know Jeff thought Seattle was fagazy till today.
I didn't.

Speaker 5 (57:03):
I've always thought that. I just toldy, I just don't
buy Sam Dunod a big game. I don't know what
in his career showed you he's going to have a
mistake free big game. He doesn't do that, and like
that matters in the postseason. So that like that's why
I just don't. I think Seattle's defense is good. They
can't run the ball, though, Like to me, it's so

(57:24):
hard to be one dimensional in the playoffs on either
side of the ball. And I think we've gotten so
used to Kansas City the last couple of years. Within
that's so so offense, like making it work. That's not
really the normal way. And then like you you just
you can't win a lot of games with big holes
on your on your team in the postseason. Now if
you have to win two games, a little different than three.

(57:45):
But Seattle can't run the football any with any consistency
that game the other night they scored on a long touchdown,
a long screen pass, like a bunch of explosives. Like
it wasn't a great offensive performance till the very end
when they needed to. And then look we get in this.
I mean, we can do it now if you want.
But like I just thought that two point conversion replay

(58:07):
review was complete nonsense.

Speaker 3 (58:11):
It was, but it was the right call.

Speaker 5 (58:15):
I've long talked about this. I think replay review is
used to liberally a lot of times. And I've about
that play. So you're allowed to recover the ball after
the whistle blows, but I allows offensivelignment to go blast
someone after the whistle blows. Who's gonna like like, let's say,
uh a a RAMS player was going to pick up

(58:37):
the ball up after the whistle blows, I Am about
to come in and hit him as he picks the
ball up. It's a live ball.

Speaker 7 (58:43):
Up.

Speaker 5 (58:44):
He told me it's a live ball, right, it's a
live ball. But I can't do that.

Speaker 4 (58:50):
Allow you to pick up the ball after the Wizards.

Speaker 5 (58:53):
Even in that play, like imagine being a RAMS defender,
the whistle blows, everyone's in acomplete pass. Like sharp, they
did forcefully pick the ball, but just was like, oh,
the ball's here, I'm picking a throat to the official
like it just it. And to win a game that way,
I thought was the difference in that game was ludicrous.

Speaker 2 (59:10):
To me.

Speaker 5 (59:11):
Seattle had a bad play, bad play design, Rams made
a play, and all of a sudden they get two
point two point conversion attempt on that. I saw tweet
that was like, imagine you're drunk at the game and
the worst play you ever saw ended up in two
points for your team, And I don't think we play review.
I was for it's used to fix a gregious mistake,

(59:32):
because that to me was not a gregious mistake. It
was a bad play and got super fortunate.

Speaker 3 (59:36):
Yeah, but it was the right call Like that, at
the end of the day, I hear everything you're saying,
but it was the right call. It was the right ruling, Like,
as much as they did not deserve those two points,
that was the right ruling.

Speaker 4 (59:48):
It was the right call. It's a backwards pass. Charbernay
is like, oh.

Speaker 3 (59:51):
Here, there's the ball right here, and they're like, well,
that's actually a recovery two points. Like, but that's why
it goes back to if you handicap that game and you,
let's say you had the rams on the money line,
disgusting stuff.

Speaker 5 (01:00:03):
I would have quit if I had I had RAMS
plus one. How that's gonna be a last NFL wager? Ever?

Speaker 3 (01:00:07):

Follow the money, real good money.

Speaker 4 (01:01:30):
Yes, we welcome in our good friend.

Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
Christian Cippolini, Senior Trading Manager at BETMGM. Good morning to you, Christian. Okay,
we're all waiting for the eighty percenters. Huh, Like, how
many teams this week have eighty percent of the money
on them?

Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
None?

Speaker 3 (01:01:49):
I don't be zero, Yeah nothing, zero, got tumbleweed right now?

Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
Zero? All right? Yeah it fifty to fifty across the board.

Speaker 4 (01:01:58):
Very level headed betting this week. All that we get.

Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
We'll get to Christian here in a second. But yeah, okay,
if we if we're just doing our list, guys, before
Christian comes on here, how many how many teams do
you think are on this list?

Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
We're looking at big underdogs. I would imagine Buffalo.

Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
Okay, I don't think too many, believe it or not.
I don't think there actually at eighty percent.

Speaker 3 (01:02:20):
Other Buffalo is all right, we'll find out. I think
Christian's with us now. Christian, good morning to you, buddy.
We're just looking for the eighty percenters, Like, how many
are around eighty percent of the money on them this week?

Speaker 7 (01:02:32):
Yeah? I think last week's actually didn't end up so well.
I know you had a couple and I think they
all actually hit. But I know it's been a good
trend to re last whole week, so I did come
prepared I do have one for sure, and one that's
getting pretty close, and then one maybe for later. So
first one that you guys were touching on it, yep,
Bill's Browns. So far over eighty percent of the action

(01:02:54):
on the Bills that lines on from ten to ten
and a half this week, so that all adds up.
And then the other one, of course comes around the
QB News Bengals Dolphins. We're not quite at eighty percent yet,
but we're in the high seventies. Obviously, Obviously that line
has moved from Dolphins being favored to Bengals now being
favored about three and a half four so a lot

(01:03:16):
of that is coming from there. And then later this
afternoon that Texans Raiders game sit at fourteen points spread
right now is in the seventies. I could see that
getting up there as we get closer to kickoff. Just
I can't imagine many people are gonn to bet on
the race Raiders after the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 4 (01:03:35):
Yeah, nice.

Speaker 5 (01:03:36):
I like the Dolphins, I don't. The Bengals are not
a favorite of anybody, But I don't care who's played
quarterback that makes any sense. I'm curious what you're seeing
on Titans Chiefs. Because the number is low, people might think,
you know, mint Choo's in, maybe I can still cover
this game. I'm on the Titans. I'm curious what the

(01:03:57):
market is reacting to when it comes to the Chiefs
right now.

Speaker 7 (01:04:01):
Yeah, this one. If you would have told me two
weeks ago, I wouldn't have believed you that we still
have more Titans action. Obviously, a lot of this is
like the first opportunity of betting against the Chiefs with
Noba homes and in quite some time. The Titans have
looked a little bit better over the last couple of
weeks too. They've obviously been one of our worst teams
from the Sports Post perspective throughout the season, really rarely

(01:04:23):
taking many bets, but it's starting to change a little
bit here as Yeah, we're about sixty so far coming
in on the Titans.

Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
Okay, Christian, We're gonna get to something that I've been
wanting to talk about. I actually thought about texting you
that's how much, that's how much to fight this fight?
I mean, I know bookmakers here in town. I was
talking to one that could. I went down on late
seven and a half to one, which was a really
good price at now that I see the closing line,

(01:04:53):
But he couldn't write any tickets on aj Anthony Joshua.
And even though I bet a good amount, and to
be real, right before the fight, I bet a low
five figures at bet MGM because you guys had minus
nine to one when the market was thirteen minus thirteen
to one. You guys had minus nine to one. I
actually gave you guys a large bet also. But I'm

(01:05:14):
thinking this was a giant night. But how big Was
this a Mayweather McGregor type of night? I'm thinking probably not,
but it was still a pretty big night for you
guys on that fight.

Speaker 7 (01:05:26):
Yeah, it didn't get that high end up being a
good outcome obviously for the book. When a favorite that
big wins, you know, usually the public tens and pile
on the dog, and especially when it's an event like
this is kind of so weird and unique. You know,
Jake Paul is the most popular person among Yeah, I

(01:05:46):
guess you know, same wise, so he ends up just
taking a lot of bets. People want to be on
the right side of that game if it should be right,
you know, obviously.

Speaker 6 (01:05:54):
Very similar.

Speaker 7 (01:05:56):
Mayweather McGregor. So yeah, it ended up being a very
good outcome for the book. Of course, it would have
been very very bad if Big Ball had somehow found
a way to win that. Obviously it wasn't very close.
But yeah, it's one of those I wasn't sweating too much,
but you knew that there was somewhat of a possibility
if it did go bad, it was going to go

(01:06:16):
real bad.

Speaker 2 (01:06:17):
But let me ask you, was it bigger than an
NF any like any standing NFL game? Was it? Was
it like, I'm not going to say super Bowl money,
but was it like a playoff game kind of decision
for you guys, or maybe even a super Bowl decision?

Speaker 7 (01:06:30):
Uh? No, not really. I think some of this is
kind of you know, some of those earlier fights that
kind of were duds I think has kind of hurt
this impact, at least for us. You know, it was
kind of on par with maybe more of a primetime
NFL game. Oh wow, it's like, you know, we you know,
when we talked back to those McGregor and Mayweather ones,
you know, those were really really high numbers, but this

(01:06:52):
one really didn't end up getting as high as maybe
as others expected.

Speaker 2 (01:06:57):
Okay, but it's still going to hurt you if.

Speaker 7 (01:06:59):
They Oh, you know, yeah, certainly, certainly. Yeah, but just
at that number, you know, he's plus six hundred and
you know, majority of the money was coming on that.
So any anytime a big price like that, potentially hintings
and taking a lot of bets is always a little
bit wordersome got Christian.

Speaker 3 (01:07:13):
We just uh, we picked our super Bowl teams reluctantly
today just because the playoff picture looks so weird right now,
and it is one of these like don't like this team?
Oh gosh, am I really picking that?

Speaker 4 (01:07:25):
You know, that sort of thing. So, like, what does
the money look like right now?

Speaker 3 (01:07:29):
Are there any teams that are getting a good amount
of money to get to the Super Bowl or win
the Super Bowl?

Speaker 5 (01:07:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (01:07:37):
I'm not sure which one you guys picked, but the
team that has been the most bet you know, a
lot of this came in preseason, but throughout the last
couple of weeks has been the Bills. You know, there's
not gonna be many excuses for Josh Allen this season
with no Mahomes, maybe no Lamar, no Burrow, and I
think a lot of people have seen that. From the
AFC side, it feels pretty wide open and if you

(01:07:58):
something have Josh Allen, that feels pretty So they've taken
the most bets. From the NFC side, Uh, the Eagles
are still our most bet on team from a futures
perspective from the NFC. Uh, But a lot of that
is from the summer and the off seasons. As we've
gotten over the last month or two, the Rams have
been the team that have been the most bet on,

(01:08:19):
But the Eagle's coming back a little bit recently, so uh.
From the books perspective, we we do want to avoid
the Bills, but yeah, like a Bill's Eagles Bills Rams
probably wouldn't be ideal.

Speaker 5 (01:08:30):
Right now, are anyone anyone's still playing division markets or
sort of? I feel like it most of them are
set right now, like where where's the money in like Pittsburgh, Baltimore?
Are people still playing some of those divisions? Niners, Rams, Niners, Seahawks,
for example. Are you still seeing a lot of people
kind of taking positions in the unsettled division markets?

Speaker 10 (01:08:52):
Yeah, I mean it's there's a couple of interesting ones
still available, because you know, even the the NFC North
is a little bit you know, before last night with
kind of you could pick a different couple different teams
and balk yourself.

Speaker 7 (01:09:05):
Into cent errors where that happens. So, yeah, there are
you mentioned that NFC West, that one we've taken about
even action on the three possible teams. There's obviously a
route now for the forty nine ers to get in
there after Thursday night. Seahawks of course control their own
destiny too, but the Rams are obviously massively bet on
over the past couple of weeks ahead of that. Even

(01:09:27):
the NFC South Walt Hampa's still pretty heavily favored. The
Panthers have taken some bets because again there's kind of
a route there for them. They touch on the ENDC
North for us. You know, there's been some Steelers bet
but it's mostly been Ravens bets because you can get
them a plus money. He's kind of been able to
get them a plus money throughout most of the season,

(01:09:48):
which can be pretty enticing at times.

Speaker 2 (01:09:51):
Has the level of volume as the volume dropped off
here we are week sixteen compared to like week one, two, three,
as does as the volume dropped off in the NFL,
has the interest, uh, you know now that you have
we have college playoffs and of course we have Bowl games.
Has the interest dropped off volume wise for the NFL

(01:10:12):
now or no?

Speaker 7 (01:10:15):
I think it's a little bit of the weird the
way you would look at it. I'm gonna say no
on the drop off, But it can kind of depend
week to week. Uh Like last week it was kind
of more of a boring this week, I guess I
would say there was a lot of games of double
digit spreads. Uh so not a lot of games that
are as interesting, whereas this week we have a lot
of games that are a lot closer than spreads. So

(01:10:38):
last week our handle is probably going to be lower
than it will be this week, just just looking at
a range of games that we have available. And then
of course like prime time games, if you have a
bigger prime time game, if that could affect it.

Speaker 2 (01:10:49):
But how about pretty fun yesterday's games? Did you how
did you guys stand for the day? And what was
that like that? The game? Of course the Bear game?
Did you get need the Bears or did you guys?
I'm guessing you need Green Bay just to guess.

Speaker 7 (01:11:04):
Yeah, that one ended up pretty close. We weren't crazy
on either side. We actually ended up we weren't actually
ended up rooting for the Bears, but it wasn't anything crazy,
uh Eagles commander's game, of course, majority of the action
was on the Eagles, so that one wasn't the best outcome.
But yeah, I mean like games like that, you know,
those are always when it's close. When this pread is close,

(01:11:27):
it's usually a little bit easier for the book. We
won't get hit too bad on either outcome.

Speaker 5 (01:11:32):
Well, I donated my my organic it to you guys
last night, So congratulations.

Speaker 1 (01:11:36):
That's a tough one.

Speaker 7 (01:11:37):
And that was a tough one.

Speaker 3 (01:11:38):
Yeah, freaking brutal. O gosh. Well, on that note, goodbye, Christian,
thanks for your time today, man, I hope you have
a great day.

Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
Take care, buddy.

Speaker 3 (01:11:49):
There is Christian Zippolini bet MGM, Senior trading Manager. Oh gosh,
you know it's not Christian's fault, but somehow I kind
of blame Christian for that Ducks outcome right there. But
you know what makes me feel better, little Martin Weiss,
That's what makes me feel better, Martin with the latest.

Speaker 4 (01:12:06):
What's going on, budd?

Speaker 9 (01:12:07):
You know the starting starts as scratches just came out
a couple about nine minutes ago. The most notable one
for me at least Bill's wide receiver key On Coleman
healthy scratching today against the Browns. Third time he's been
a healthy scratch this year. That is a disaster in Buffalo.
Gabe Davis also down for the Browns, I mean against
the Browns rather Mkole Hardman expected to play for Buffalo

(01:12:30):
and Josh Allen. Dolphins quarterback Quinn Ewers will get his
first start today against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaker 6 (01:12:35):
Tour will be inactive.

Speaker 9 (01:12:37):
Clinton Johnson is active for the Chargers. Cornerback Trayvont Diggs
active for the Cowboys. Te Higgins is going to go
for the Bengals again that Dolphins game. He was dealing
with some concussion issue. Kyle Hamilton's going to work out
in workouts right now, is still trying to figure if
he's going to play. He seems to be active. Marvin
Harrison going, Nick Chubb as well. Tyrod Taylor is going

(01:12:59):
to be active and backup Brady Cook today against the Saints.
TJ Watt out as he recovers from that punctured long
from that dry knealing session. Jordan Love is a cutry
protocol after missing the end of the game Montest sweat
put them there, and the Packers beat the Bears twenty
two to sixteen in overtime. Eagles won the NFC East

(01:13:22):
after they beat the Commanders twenty nine to eighteen. They
were trailing late in the third quarter Marcus Merioda got
knocked out of the game.

Speaker 6 (01:13:28):
The Rams fired.

Speaker 9 (01:13:29):
Special teams coordinator Chase Blackburn. The Rams lost four times,
three of them. Special teams played a major role. And
college football, the playoff quarterfinals are set New Year's Eve.
Seed two seed Ohouse, Dayton, ten te Miami and the
Cotton Bowl, seven thirty four seed Texas Tech and five
seed Oregon playing the Orange Bowl at noon on New
Year's Day. One seed Indiana and nine seed Alabama play

(01:13:51):
at four o'clock, and three seed Georgia and six seed
Old miss playing the Sugar Bowl. Those, of course, all
on New Year's Day. And college basketball set last night
nineteenth three Texas Tech you third rank Duke eighty two
to eighty one, bellows back to you.

Speaker 4 (01:14:06):
Thank you, Martin.

Speaker 3 (01:14:07):

My gosh, pardon me while I throw up real fast.
That was compliments quote quote unquote compliments of the Bears

This is one thing side let me can do the read.
For over forty years, ti Iraq has been helping customers

convenient installation options like mobile tire installation, tire rack dot Com.
The way tire buying should be super fast. Before we
get to the props, I've tried and failed many times
where I'm a football junkie.

Speaker 4 (01:16:15):
You guys know this. I love football, and I.

Speaker 3 (01:16:18):
Don't want my confidence pool or my bets to like
steal my fun right like that game. If there's not
a bet, if there's no confidence pool, you know anything on,
I'm like, what.

Speaker 4 (01:16:29):
A crazy guy was insane?

Speaker 3 (01:16:31):
Wow, football is the great ist, you know, And instead
I'm just like ba humbug, you know what I mean.
So it's a constant weekend, week out thing. It's like,
don't let the bets, the confidence pool, whatever you have,
don't let it steal your fun when it comes to
a crazy outcome like that. But I hear that audio
and I'm just like, oh my gosh, this is making
me throw up over here with what happened in the

(01:16:53):
Bears game. But uh, I'm a working progress, basically working progress.
All right, let's get to the prop bets.

Speaker 4 (01:16:58):
Let's do this, drop it up.

Speaker 3 (01:17:03):
Player plays all right, prop bets galore. Crack, oh man,
it's Christmas come early here December twenty first, you kid me.
I know you're hot and heavy on these props with
something that you like a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:17:14):
I think I sent you guys twenty five, like I
almost want to not want to send you guys like
who plays twenty five props? Jeff Schwartz does. Okay, let's
let's go to the Tampa Bay Carolina game. Let's go
Mayfield under two thirty six and a half at bet MGM.
His yards. The Panthers have that kind of defense where

(01:17:35):
there'd be maybe a lot of running here instead of throwing.
So let's hope that's right. Mayfield underpassing yards all right.

Speaker 5 (01:17:42):
I like h Han Brian Brian's Boy and the Dolphins
over one seventeen and a half combined rushing and receiving yards.
You think about a the Bengals atrocious defense, but be
like with Quinton Ewards, what are they gonna do. They're
gonna run the football, they're gonna pass the football, and
they're gonna have a good system, and it's it's incredible.

(01:18:03):
They're just a couple of plays from this to bust
the Bengals defense. I'm glad that Christian said this game
was one of his eighty percent games because I don't
get it. I don't get the Bengals be such a
big favorite in this game. Like Quinn Ewers is certainly
a downgrade from TUA, but the Bengals are not good
at all. Like they're a road favorite by four and
a half points or down. I think it's three and
a half off that MBM now, so I'll take eight

(01:18:26):
chen And I also like Philip Rivers under passing yards
for tomorrow night, one sixty nine and a half, not
as the pass rush not great. It's gonna be one
fifty nine and a half. But I just don't I
don't trust Philip Rivers at all.

Speaker 3 (01:18:41):
Fair enough, Yeah, I'm gonna look at this Lions game.
Give me the backup running back David Montgomery. I like
him over thirty two and a half rushing yards. A
couple of reasons why won The Steelers have a really
tough time stopping the rush, so that's one of them.
I would expect the Lions to have a lead in
this game. I just don't expect Pittsburgh to win the game.

(01:19:02):
It might not even be close. So I expect David
Montgomery to get his his carries. And then also last
week he only had seven carries for thirty two yards.
Like right at the number, and the head coach Dan
Campbell was talking about how much of a pro he
is for handling this situation. Jamiir Gibbs is getting a
lot more run than Montgomery is. But this is the quote, right,

(01:19:24):
Dan Campbell said, It's something I think about a lot,
is how do we get them all involved. When they're
all involved, we're just better. We're a better offense, like
this is a game to do it right. I like
David Montgomery over thirty two and a half rushing yard.

Speaker 5 (01:19:38):
I like that. I'm going to tell you on that
I like.

Speaker 3 (01:19:40):
Ye very nice. It's parlay it with a bunch of
stuff too. While we're at it, what do you think,
Ron Robins?

Speaker 5 (01:19:47):
Probably yea all work?

Speaker 2 (01:19:49):
No, sorry, crack, I know I hate the word parlay.
Just I know books live off that toe. I see
the numbers, sixty sixty five percent. Some of the books
are the prophets our parlays. But hey, that's what you
see on TikTok and Instagram. All the kids want to
show their five dollars to win twenty thousand dollars. I
get it, I get right.

Speaker 4 (01:20:09):
So maybe it's the one sawbuck play of the week. Yeah,
you got about the parlay of the week.

Speaker 2 (01:20:15):
How about sawski? I have no problem. Someone button if
they've been one hundred dollars a game betting ten dollars
in the pine, you want to do that, pint have.

Speaker 3 (01:20:21):
Some fun the saw of the week. What do you
think you have a new feature and everything.

Speaker 5 (01:20:26):
I want to put Montgomery and h together here for
rushing roads today.

Speaker 4 (01:20:30):
Like that all right? Coming up next.

Speaker 3 (01:20:33):
If you're starting to buy this team, is it because
of them or because of lack of.

Speaker 4 (01:20:38):
Teams around them?

Speaker 7 (01:20:41):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:20:41):
What is up?

Speaker 3 (01:20:41):
Welcome in, Happy Sunday to you, Happy week sixteen as
we set the table for you today. Kickoff in just
under an hour from right now, so getting fully ready
for that. Looking at this Jags Denver game, Broncos hosting
the Jags, And you know what, it's funny right like,

(01:21:03):
I think you got to ask yourself a question because
we were talking about our Super Bowl picks right now
and it's tough stuff to do that right now.

Speaker 4 (01:21:10):
But you know, Jeff likes Denver starting to buy in
a little bit more.

Speaker 3 (01:21:14):
And for anybody out there who might be starting to
buy Denver, is it more because of them or is
it more because of a lack of teams around them?

Speaker 2 (01:21:24):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (01:21:25):
Maybe you're like, well, they're the one seed, you get
two home playoff games.

Speaker 2 (01:21:28):
You're right there.

Speaker 3 (01:21:29):
Are you buying them or are you buying like the
situation of a lack of quality teams around them? Maybe
them have to field it's a situation play for you.

Speaker 4 (01:21:39):
Yeah, sure, I said this all along.

Speaker 5 (01:21:41):
If the Chiefs managed to get into playoffs. I would
pick down no matter where they were, right, because that
meant they're playing better football. They've done it before, they've
won these games before. But I do think it matters
that Denver within the postseason last year. I'm correct on this,
right they they lost the Bills, correct, yea, so they
at least felt this before for their coach has been

(01:22:01):
here before. They have the ingredients defense, offensive line. I
do worry about running back. They don't. They're not great there,
they have weapons, and bo Nix is getting a little
bit better. Right, So those are all those ingredients. Plus
if he I say, your face part, he's getting a
little bit better, a little bit better. I'm not saying

(01:22:22):
he's he's Joe Montana a little bit better. Okay, experience
you just like you did your face like like for
a second there. That's funny and uh and so it's
a little bit like think about it. New England is
not ready for this yet. They they're not ready for

(01:22:43):
this yet, right, Buffalo is, but good defense is not good.
Who else we considered in the AFC to be No
One in the North right out and by Baltimore, not
by Pittsburgh. I don't buy that. You know, the Chargers
are interesting, They're just I don't think that with their
tackle situation when they play against better defenses. I don't
trust Houston's offensive line like I just I just don't.

Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
So that's right.

Speaker 3 (01:23:05):
The Texans offensive line against that Broncos pass rush, that's
that's not true.

Speaker 5 (01:23:09):
So it's more like process of elimination where Denver gets
homefield advantage, hard to play in Denver loud, they get
one less game, let's say, than the rest of you know,
of of of the field. So it's it's process of elimination.

Speaker 2 (01:23:22):
That's it.

Speaker 5 (01:23:22):
Like what I basically get to and I get to Denver,
So I don't I don't love it, Crack, But that's
where I sit right now, and a lot look for
the most part, outside of the years Tom Brady got
the Super Bowl and Patrick Mahomes got Super Bowl, the
one seed gets the super Bowl, right, the team with
the buye makes a lot more than anyone else.

Speaker 3 (01:23:43):
You know what I think is interesting? Let me say
something real quick, Crack, or I'll forget this real fast.
It's funny how how quickly we move off of teams
following a loss compared to others like, for instance, the
Rams lose this crazy game against Seattle and there's still
a lot of people like, yeah, I really don't care
that they went from the one seed to the five seed,

(01:24:04):
two home games to three road playoff games. I still
like the Rams in the NFC, right, A lot of
people aren't moving off them because they really buy them.
But let's just say Denver, crazier things have happened. Let's
say they lose to Day at home against Jacksonville. You
get a lot of people like, whoa gosh, I don't
know about Denver anymore. That's what happened last week with
the Patriots. Good Patriots had this big win. They lose

(01:24:26):
to the Bills, and it's like, oh god, well I
can't I don't want to back to the Patriots.

Speaker 2 (01:24:30):
Right. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:24:30):
It's really telling after a loss if you really buy
a team or not.

Speaker 2 (01:24:34):
Yeah. Yeah, And that's a perfect example of how the
Rams still have. Listen, they lost it with you know,
one point game and crazy game, and compared to a
New England or even to Denver, if they lose today,
you're right, this is a really big one. Two of
the top teams in the AFC still don't have the
people believing in either one of them yet, so especially Jacksonville.

(01:24:55):
In the last couple of weeks to Lawrence has actually
looked like a number one pick he was four years ago.
He ridiculous six touchdowns last week. I wanted to look
back at the stats. Come on, that's unbelievable, playing maybe
the best football of his career. Adding Joe Kobe Meers
midseason has really helped this Jacksonville offense. But today will

(01:25:16):
be a big challenge for them, going up against a
tough Broncos defense. A lot of people still doubting the
Bronco team too. I think I'm probably still one of them. Yeah,
because we just I'm just not sold on bow Knicks
and the Broncos offense. The Jaguars want to keep Nicks
contained in the pocket. He makes the most of his
big places when he's moving around outside the pocket. So

(01:25:38):
the Jacksonville defense been great against the run all year.
I expect that to continue today an underwhelming Broncos run game,
so I expect I'm actually excited to watch this game
to see which one of these teams are legitimately can
I say Super Bowl contenders? I just know it's hard
for me to believe I'm even saying that about Jacksonville.

(01:26:00):
Let's just see if Denver is a Super Bowl contender.

Speaker 3 (01:26:03):
Yeah, man, it's like someone's got to come out of
the AFC. And it's funny if that's the matchup Denver Texans,
what a matchup? Man, Like I'm dipping into my four
oh one k right now to bet the under in
that game. But you think about that Texans offensive line
against a really good Broncos pass rush. Think about the opposite,
Think about Denver in a limited offense with bo Nicks

(01:26:26):
no running game against that Texans defense. Good lord, right,
like that would be an absolute slugfest.

Speaker 5 (01:26:35):
No, that's the thing is like, if Denver had a
better running back, I think you feel better about their
their run game, Like the offensive line is really good,
it is, the problem is the run game just isn't
just isn't there. And it's because they Harvey is like
not good enough to be a one just like he's
just not Like that's that's life. It just is what

(01:26:55):
it is. So yeah, you feel better about that if
they had if they had guys healthy, but unfortuately, that's
you know, that's football sometimes, right, So they have to
find solutions to that, and you know Sean Payne will
have will have some ideas in there to make that happen.
But you know, as far as today's game, I go
sort of back to the thing I always say is, uh,
you know, do we do we trust Jacksonville here? Like

(01:27:18):
on the road, they've been a pretty terrible slate of
teams the last the last couple of weeks, and they
do a lot of running the score up etns in
the game, up twenty one with four minutes left, Like.

Speaker 4 (01:27:31):
This is a different anti Oregon approach, apparent.

Speaker 5 (01:27:35):
Approach, this is a different beast for this game. So
I don't it's just to go back to three crimes
still three and a half?

Speaker 2 (01:27:46):
Oh oh yeah no, and this opened up two and
a half, went to three three and a half. No,
it's still three and a half. I would have been
interested to ask Christian And they have to be pulling
for Jacksonville today, they.

Speaker 5 (01:27:56):
Just absolutely, yeah, they have to. Yeah, I think so
as well.

Speaker 3 (01:27:59):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a litmus test game for Jacksonville
because they've been really good lately five game winning streak,
but mostly against bum teams, right, and Denver certainly is
not a bum team, and to go on the road
and win this game, that'd be a big deal for Jacksonville.
So we'll see. We'll see in this one. How about
another game for the division, big big implications for the

(01:28:21):
NFC South, A pair of seven and seven teams, Tampa
at Carolina. Tampa is a three point road favorite, totals
at forty four and a half. Look, man, I just
look at this Tampa offense and it's been sputtering. I
think Carolina is gonna be able to run the ball
effectively on Tampa. I don't know what's happened to their
rush defense. The rush defense has gotten a lot leakier

(01:28:44):
as the season has gone along, and their pass defense
has been bad. So I look at Tampa's pass defense.
They're thirtieth in the NFL, and I don't like them
against the rush, you know, the second half of the season.
So I think Carolina is more than live in this game.
I love them plus three and I like their chances
to win this game out right.

Speaker 5 (01:29:03):
Yeah, this is gonna be on one of my plays today.
You look at Carolina again like bad good bad good
bad good bad, which isn't great, But that's the last
eight weeks they've basically played that game. If the referees
who admitted they had a mistake last week would have
counted the McMillan catch, the Panthers are in field goal range,
close to field goal range. Win the game, oh, either win.

(01:29:26):
A close game is the NFL. They don't call that
since down to win. But Tampa Bay just isn't good
right now, nothing about. They have one win their last
six games. It's to Arizona by three points. Otherwise they
have just not been a good football team. Todd Bowles
is a national television dropping seven f bombs after the game.
You know, I think there's a frustration with him and

(01:29:46):
saying like, guys, I'm coaching you, well, we're not executing
on the field, and now you're come to Carolina with
an opportunity to basic seal the division if you win today.
Carolina feels that same way too. Caroly feels like they're
alive in this game as well. Paros defense been playing
better sort of as season went on, or is going on.
So weather's nice here today though you little looks like

(01:30:06):
the trees moving a little bit slice breeze, but otherwise
otherwise good up to.

Speaker 2 (01:30:11):
The second weather reports I love joining Jeff today. Sunshine rainbow,
that little wind.

Speaker 5 (01:30:18):
One of the trees right there is moving a little bit,
but be below the stadium though, so the stadium was
a little higher. So the way right, yeah, like if
I can like a point, like I'm like three miles
that way.

Speaker 2 (01:30:30):
Yeah. And speaking of which, Jeff, if this Carolina team
gets in the playoff, you have I need a couple
of things I need. First, I'm sure you have an
extra bedroom for me. Secondly, and how about playoff tickets.
I'm sure you have good connections for us.

Speaker 5 (01:30:43):
Right, I could probably get play tickets.

Speaker 2 (01:30:46):
Oh wow, that cool.

Speaker 5 (01:30:47):
You have to share one of the rooms that probably
we got two bear drives.

Speaker 2 (01:30:50):
I like to dog. I'm good, give me the room with.

Speaker 5 (01:30:55):
Two years ago we had no pets, okay, and my
wife was like, we're not getting animals. Then German shepherd
right here. We've had it for two years. Last week,
as of last week, about six months ago, we got
hermit crabs. With five hermit crabs for Hanukah. Happy Honkkah everyone,
last night, Hankkah, Merry Christmas. We will not talk to
anyone till till after Christmas. So my son wanted a

(01:31:21):
bearded dragon. All right, we told our kids that they
had to put together PowerPoint presentations for what they wanted
for honkhu okay. They like their computer savvy, like they
used computers to score. So they did great, great jobs.
And my son was so prepared for the bearer Dragon.
He had like multiple slides, what to feed it, what
to buy for it, what size tank, all this stuff.

(01:31:42):
And my wife was like, against the beer dragon. I
show us some videos about bearer dragons on TikTok's like
she's like, oh these are these are cute. We're in
So I bought one two days. We bought one Friday night,
and then my wife went back to the store and
bought a second one yesterday for no apparent reason. So
now we have two dragon and two separate tanks. It's

(01:32:02):
it's just it's you know, I is what it is.

Speaker 2 (01:32:06):
So that would be my bedroom. You're saying, with the
beard of Dragons, you.

Speaker 5 (01:32:09):
Might have a bearer dragon bedroom. Yeah, but you're welcome
to hang out with them. They look they the lights
are on for a couple hours a day, and the
light's go for twelve hours a day. But yeah, you
you and the bear dragon. Look the Dragons. Do you
hear what? Right now, It'll just sit on my shoulder
at the entire time doing the show. I'm gonna go
get listen.

Speaker 2 (01:32:25):
This game today actually means something, so a huge game
for both teams. They're both tied NFC South seven and seven.

Speaker 7 (01:32:33):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:32:33):
Carolina blew a big chance to take control of the
division last week when they gave up ten unanswered points
to the Saints. Heartbreaking watch, but this is a spot
for them to bounce back and and taking down the
Bucks in front of their home crowd. It's been a
strange run for Tampa. They've been getting healthier on offense,
but I've also been getting worse. Mike Evans, Bucky Irving,
Chris Godwin, they're all back on the field, but they've

(01:32:56):
not been able to score points lately. So to win today,
they desperately need need to protect Baker. He's still been
playing good football, but it has been in the run
most of the games and taking a ton of hits.
He's pretty beat up at this point and one of
the reasons why I'm against on his under on his
passing yards. This is one of those everyone, believe it
or not, we'll be watching in the early slate. Let's

(01:33:18):
see if Bryce Young is finally ready to show that
he can make some winning plays. I can imagine this stadium,
this might be one of the well I know they've
had playoff teams before, but this might be one of
the most pumped up games in that stadium ever, Am
I right? Jeff?

Speaker 5 (01:33:34):
We believe it or not, we've actually has been the
two Super Bowls.

Speaker 2 (01:33:37):
Yeah, yeah, it's really.

Speaker 5 (01:33:38):
Say, okay, holiday weekend. I don't know, man, I don't
know how the people are going.

Speaker 2 (01:33:44):
To be like, Okay, it's not I just thought it'd
be like this is it and this is I.

Speaker 5 (01:33:48):
Don't want to of Panthers fans, but it's not a
the rowdiest of a hopefield of atmospheres.

Speaker 2 (01:33:55):
Gotcha?

Speaker 4 (01:33:56):
Is it big When the road team rolls into town?

Speaker 5 (01:33:59):
You know they have depending on it depends on the team,
like like Steelers, Cowboys, Commanders. It feels like a Steelers
home game when they when they're here. Got Well, the
thing I bring up all the time, this is the
way it is. So you know, the Panthers are a
Newish franchise, right and so when they you know when
they were he you know, when when they became a franchise,

(01:34:20):
a lot of fans already had tickets and liked other teams,
but they bought tickets anyways. So the older crowd is
really a fan of typically another team, and so when
that other team comes, they put their stewer jersey on
the Cowboy. The younger Panther fans and once I grew
up with the Panthers are the hardcore fans. So there's
a lot of sort of two fan base, right. There's
the hardcore Panther fans that are younger like my age,

(01:34:42):
and then there's the older crowd who typically have another
team they root for that they have see tickets anyway.
So that's sort of the way it works with the
Panthers fans.

Speaker 4 (01:34:51):
Interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:34:52):
Yeah, looking forward to this game though, you know, and look,
I hate that whoever wins this division will probably host
the Rams.

Speaker 4 (01:35:01):
That makes absolutely no sense to me.

Speaker 3 (01:35:03):
But it's not changing, right, Like I look, I don't
understand how why are we acting like the winner of
the NFC South is more impressive than what the Rams
have done this season? The Rams is probably gonna have
four more wins than whoever wins the NFC South's that's
crazy to me, Like, no one's gonna have double digit
wins in the NFC South, and yet the Rams are

(01:35:25):
in a division with three teams with double digit wins,
and we're gonna act like a division winner is more
impressive and means more than a wildcard team. It's just dumb.
It's a dumb setup. And it's not just the first round,
it's throughout the playoffs. Like the Rams are a five seed,
they don't reseed. That's the minimum they should do is
reseed after the first round. If you want to give

(01:35:46):
these division winners a joke home playoff game that most
times they don't even earn. If you want to do
at least recede where the Rams with one of the
best records in the NFC would probably be on the
road for three straight games, that's dumb. That's a bad system.
They don't do that in college football. Think about that.
It took one year of college football. Last year they
were like, hey, you win your conference, you get the buys.

(01:36:09):
And then Arizona State and Boise State got the buys
and they were like, this is dumb. We're changing this immediately.

Speaker 2 (01:36:14):
No more of that.

Speaker 3 (01:36:15):
And yet the NFL still sticks with what basically college
football had last season. It's a bad structure. It's just silly,
makes no sense at all.

Speaker 5 (01:36:25):
The Rams, though, lost to Panthers.

Speaker 4 (01:36:26):
Right this season, the Rams wet Rams lost to the Panthers.

Speaker 5 (01:36:31):
Yes, the Rams. The reason why the Rams are not
hosting a home playoff game is absolutely their fault because
they were up twenty six to seven to Philly and loss,
and they were up thirty to fourteen to this Like,
it's their fault.

Speaker 3 (01:36:43):
I get it, Brough, but you could play that game
with Tampa or Carolina. It's their fault that they've lost
seven games Apiece also.

Speaker 5 (01:36:50):
Correct, No, it absolutely is. But I don't mind the
system the way it is. I know we disagreed. I
know we disagree on that.

Speaker 3 (01:36:57):
I want to break down the wall. If that's the system,
we need to break down the wall. That's what we
need to do.

Speaker 5 (01:37:03):
Be in the system, they would be may be a
wildcard team, so that they would be they'd be in
the NFL system.

Speaker 2 (01:37:07):
Man, huh, you know you guys just.

Speaker 4 (01:37:11):
Host man so bad, brutal.

Speaker 3 (01:37:15):
All right, we've got a Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran,
Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper.

Speaker 4 (01:37:20):
I'm Brian no.

Speaker 3 (01:37:21):

Bet MGM's offering you a second chance on your first
touchdown bet. When a customer places a wager on a
first touchdown scorer bet and he doesn't score first, but
score second, bet MGM will return one of their stakeback
in cash. Here we go, all right, how about the Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:38:17):
It's great.

Speaker 3 (01:38:18):
How about the trend of trends over here? With the
Steelers one win away from another winning season?

Speaker 2 (01:38:24):
Huh?

Speaker 3 (01:38:25):
They got three chances to get there and most likely will.
But they're at Detroit today, which is a tough ask.
Right there are seven point underdogs on the road. The
total is fifty two. Not expecting a ton of defense
in this one. No TJ Watt, he's still out with
the punctured lung. Probably getting gonna get Derek Harmon back,

(01:38:47):
so that could help out the Steelers rush defense. The
defensive tackle from Oregon right there. But I just I
thought that was, you know, it was a bo Nicks
out of body experience last week with four touchdown passes.
I think that was a Steelers rush defense out of
body experience against the Dolphins last week. They really did
a good job against them. I don't expect that to last.

(01:39:08):
I could see Gibbs and Montgomery having a pretty good game,
good games in this one against the Steelers.

Speaker 4 (01:39:14):
They're just the rush defense has been bad throughout the year.

Speaker 3 (01:39:16):
They're twenty eighth that with rushing offense, they're nineteenth in
rush defense. Right, they're giving up a buck twenty on
the ground and this is a tougher test against the
Lions fifth in rushing yardage per game, very good rushing
offense as well.

Speaker 5 (01:39:32):
So this one of those games where the number stands
out to me because you would think that, at least
I would the number is like, oh, like seven's a lot,
But why is it a lot?

Speaker 2 (01:39:44):
Right?

Speaker 7 (01:39:45):
Like?

Speaker 5 (01:39:45):
Why is this seven? The books are telling you, right
that that, and I think they're begging for Steelers money
that the Lions are that much better and they're not
playing great this season, but they're that much better than Pittsburgh,
who really still can't move the ball down the field effectively.
Their defense is not great. The Lions don't lose back

(01:40:05):
to back games, I think often or ever. Right, it's
a must win for the Lions. They're at home, like
all these factors go into it. Now, Mike Tomlin is
really good as a dog, but mostly it's whin he's
within three to four points. It's not when they're seven
point underdogs, And so I'd stay away from this one.
I would take probably the Lions before I take Pittsburgh crack.

(01:40:28):
But I get why the number is what is That's
the thing about wager, like you just sometimes figure out
what they're trying to tell you. It might not feel
that way, like the football reason might not feel that way.
It might not feel that there's seven points apart, but
they're giving you a clear signal here how they feel
about them power.

Speaker 2 (01:40:45):
Rated wise, this line's actually seven and a half even,
maybe even headed a couple books towards eight, just to
let you know, so really lots of Lions money here.
I would guarantee you Christian would say they're rooting for
Pittsburgh today. Also crucial game in the afternoon slave both
teams looking the better of their playoff chances with a
win this week. Interesting matchup in this one. You have

(01:41:07):
a Steelers offense that has struggled all year long going
against a Lions defense that has really struggled all year two.
Aaron Rodgers in the passing attack has looked better these
last couple of weeks, but their play calling is still
a little bit suspect. So it seems like the Steelers
are right in this position every season lately though, you know,

(01:41:27):
eight and six, fighting to get in the playoff one
of the last spots. Their division has been so bad
this season, though they still have they're still sitting on
top of the FC Nord. So Lions, yeah, let's call
it desperation mode. Usually you don't see a seven and
a half point favorite in that type of mode. But
a loss today pretty much eliminates them from the playoffs,
so they desperately need their defense to step up today,

(01:41:49):
make them stop so their offense doesn't have to score
every single possession. It should be a good one, though.
I really think the winner of this one will make
the playoffs in the end, the loser most likely staying home.
Might be a better game than people think. Caul so well,
the Lions have really disappointed a lot of their fans
this year, and you know, as far as as these
type of games, you don't really see Pittsburgh as a

(01:42:11):
seven and a half dog too much. So, but I'm just,
of course, I'm staying away from it. I'm just giving
a opinion here.

Speaker 3 (01:42:18):
That's one of the main questions I have is the
Lions secondary is so banged up, right, Are the Steelers
capable of taking advantage of that?

Speaker 4 (01:42:27):
Like, No, Aaron Rodgers just throws the ball.

Speaker 3 (01:42:29):
So short, Like their whole offensive attack passing wise is yack.

Speaker 4 (01:42:34):
It's yards after the.

Speaker 3 (01:42:36):
Catch, and so they're not throwing the ball deep down
field to really challenge a depleted secondary. So what's kind
of ailing The Lions might not factor into this game
that much. Right, Like, I just don't think the Steelers
are built to take advantage of that.

Speaker 5 (01:42:52):
They're not. I can see game well having a good
receiving game for Pittsburgh today. Yeah, you know he does
a lot for them. You know, the Lions might back
up on defense and allowed Metcalf to get deep gain
wells underneath, uh make it some plays. So yeah, look, Pittsburgh,
they're just the same team every year, like it's without fail.

Speaker 2 (01:43:15):
So it feels like it every year, like in the
same exact mode, exactly right, every year.

Speaker 5 (01:43:19):
It's wild man.

Speaker 2 (01:43:20):
Yeah, it's one of those teams that I thought, that's
they're my Yankees. I can't bet honor against the Yankees.
Probably can't bet honor against the Steelers. They have just
one of my teams that just to stay away from.
I'm sure everyone has those type of teams.

Speaker 3 (01:43:34):
Yeah, yeah, mine's the Oregon Ducks.

Speaker 5 (01:43:37):
Oh, I'm sorry it was it was not great yesterday.
I will admit I'm just as someone who's also holding
an organ ticket.

Speaker 3 (01:43:44):
I'll tell you my stay on teams. That would be
Martin Weiss. That's the list, that's that's my that's my
go to play, right there, Martin Weiss with us today.
He's got the latest. What's going on, Martin?

Speaker 6 (01:43:57):
He might need a minute. There he is, Steve Hartman
talking my ear off.

Speaker 5 (01:44:03):
No surprise there.

Speaker 6 (01:44:04):
I mean tell you what you shall start the tenth DDE.

Speaker 2 (01:44:08):
All right.

Speaker 9 (01:44:09):
Bill's wide receiver Keyon Coleman a healthy scratch today against
the Browns, the third time he's been a healthy scratch
this year. Gabe Davis also down m Coole. Hartman up
for Buffalo's Josh Allen. Quinn's yours Dolphins quarterback with his
first NFL start today against Cincinnati Tooa on the bench.
He's going to be an active wide receiver. T Higgins

(01:44:29):
is going to be active. He's dealing with some concussion issues.
He's gonna play against Miami. Kyle Hamilton will play against
the Patriots. He had an ankle injury. That was a
kind of a workout game time decision, but he was
likely to play the entire time. Robert Anderson Junior going,
he's got a heel injury. I looked against the Falcons,
Nick Chubb against the Raiders. The Texans running back going.

Speaker 2 (01:44:48):
To give it a go.

Speaker 9 (01:44:49):
Tyrod Taylor expected to be active, but he's gonna back
up rookie Brady Cook in today's game against the Saints.

Speaker 2 (01:44:55):
T J.

Speaker 9 (01:44:56):
Watt will miss today's game against the Lions as he
recovers from that long injury he got from that dry
needling session.

Speaker 6 (01:45:02):
The Bears beat the Packers in overtime twenty two to sixteen.

Speaker 9 (01:45:05):
Packers quarterback Jordan Loved in concussion protocol now after missing
the end of the game. Malik Willis came in in
relief of him, and the Eagles have won the NFC
East and back to back years first time and over
twenty years that somebody was able to win that division
at back to back years, beating Washington yesterday twenty nine
to eight. Team actually trailed in the third quarter before
Marcus Mariota was knocked out of the game. Philly ended

(01:45:28):
up going ahead and taking that one that come from
behind and then dominating in the fourth. Rams fired the
special teams coordinator Chase Blackburn. Rams only lost four games,
three of them. Special teams played a huge role in
the college football playoff semi final set New Year's evele
to be Ohios, Dateton, Miami and the Cotton Bowl. New
Year's Day, you'll see Texas Tech in Oregon and the
Orange Bowl, Indiana and Alabama, and the Rose Bowl and

(01:45:51):
Georgia and Old missing the Sugar Bowl.

Speaker 6 (01:45:54):
Fellas.

Speaker 4 (01:45:54):
Back to you, Thank you, Martin.

Speaker 3 (01:45:56):

Speaker 3 (01:47:06):
Oh gosh, okay, let me see, let me let me
try to get a bracket.

Speaker 5 (01:47:09):
So how State at Miami played Friday night and then
the three games on Saturday.

Speaker 4 (01:47:14):
I like Georgia to move on. I like you to
move on.

Speaker 3 (01:47:18):
We've gone over that.

Speaker 10 (01:47:20):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:47:21):
Texas Tech in Oregon is going to be a really
good game.

Speaker 5 (01:47:24):
I will.

Speaker 3 (01:47:26):
I'm gonna go Tech. I'm going Tech. I'm sorry, Jeff,
it's not personal here.

Speaker 5 (01:47:31):
That's what I need to hear. So we're gonna wait, Okay, that's.

Speaker 3 (01:47:35):
Not necessary cheap shot, right, and I'll go upset. I
think Ohio State's overrated. You know, I don't love this
Miami team, but and I'm not saying Ohio State stinks.
I just they haven't played. They beat Texas, that's it,
that's their resume. They got beat by Indiana, they played
nobody else in the regular season. I respect their talent.
I love their talent. I don't love Ryan Day. I

(01:47:56):
think they're right for the picking. I won't be if
they're one and done to give me the Kynes.

Speaker 2 (01:48:00):
Some Some major money has come in since we came
on air. On Texas Tech, one of the sportsbooks that
formulate and shape the line is now down to minus
one minus oh five, which means you're laying more on. Yeah,
there we go, Thunderbolt and lightly sorry about that, Jeff,
Texas Tech.

Speaker 5 (01:48:19):
I think we're going to get to the game and
Christian will be like text texts taking seventy percent of
the bets. Oh wow, Yeah. I think I think people
are gonna look at the final score Organ jmu and
not take the wrong lesson away from that game.

Speaker 3 (01:48:31):
So that's what Oh god, I take nothing from that game.

Speaker 4 (01:48:34):
People might be right, Jeff. Yeah, you might be right.

Speaker 5 (01:48:36):
People at fifty one thirty four, Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (01:48:39):
If you really watched the game, you realize what was
the score? Forty eight was forty thirteen third quarter and
then the starters were brought out. Yeah, you have to
just know them. You're right.

Speaker 5 (01:48:49):
That's my take on that. That's my take on that game.
We get Closer Organ is a fraud that have been plenty.
I've seen all the it's going to be that type
of game.

Speaker 4 (01:48:57):
I uh, I just I love that front with tech.
I love their front seven.

Speaker 3 (01:49:02):
Yeah, we'll see offensively right, Like, you're right though, Jeff,
when they've played BYU the first game, like what they
scored two touchdowns in seven red zone trips something like that, uah.

Speaker 5 (01:49:13):
Wefore you took was a three point game in the
fourth quarter and then the turnover. This is not Utah,
it'sought Arizona State. So it'll be fun.

Speaker 4 (01:49:23):
I'm looking forward to it, very nice, all right.

Speaker 3 (01:49:25):
How about Patriots at the Ravens Sunday night football tonight,
Ravens at three point home favorite? Pretty crazy, right? You
look at the Ravens seven and seven, scuffling all season long.
Here come the Patriots eleven and three, fresh off a loss,
and it's just like, yeah, road underdogs. Yeah, we're not
really buying the Patriots. I think it's a good spot
for the Patriots here. I don't know why you love

(01:49:48):
the Ravens. I think that their running game could pose
a lot of problems for the Patriots defense. They miss
Milton Williams, their defensive tackle, so he's still on injured reserve.
So I think that the if they're committed to running
the ball, I think they'll have success doing that doesn't
mean they're going to win the game. I just think May,
Drake May's been sensational on the road and this Ravens

(01:50:11):
defense is not what it typically is. So I think
Drake May is going to have a really good game,
and I think this rushing attack with the Patriots going
to do enough where I see them covering this number.
I like them to win the game outright as a
road dog.

Speaker 5 (01:50:25):
So a lot of smart people that I trust are
on on the Ravens in this game, which kind of
worries because I brought I'm sort of with you where. Look,
I think that that the Ravens offensively last week it's
a bad Bengals defense only scored seventeen points on offense.
I remember they had a pick six there at the
twenty four point. Now, the defense holding the Bengals to
zero points was impressive, Like, that's certainly a positive here.

(01:50:47):
I think the question becomes like, how do you think?
You know? Do you think New England is really fougazy
or not?

Speaker 2 (01:50:52):
Right?

Speaker 5 (01:50:52):
We did last week's show a sign of we would
argue it. Did You're up twenty four to three at
home against Buffalo a chance it was a had a
T shirt game, you win that game, you get had
a T shirt, You win the you w in the
AFC East. You couldn't close it out. You go on
the road to play not a desperate Baltimore team, but
one that needs to win. Obviously, I could see people

(01:51:14):
looking at that game in this way. But man, I
just don't trust Baltimore. I just I have I just
I don't. I don't. Could it turned on absolutely certainly possible, but.

Speaker 2 (01:51:26):
Oh no, Guyess we get a good one in primetime
tonight or Ravens sitting at seven to seven, really need
this one to better their chances to win the division.
The defense finally had a complete game last week, shutting
out the Bengals twenty four to nothing. I mean, that's
kind of a shock to me. Patriots coming off their
first loss in nearly three months and ready to bounce
back on the national stage tonight. I probably tend to

(01:51:48):
agree with Brian here. The England defense did fail them, yes,
last week, but they played the Bills, so let him
score a touchdown on five consecutive drives. Unbelievable. It's just
a not a recipe for a playoff run. Even if
Drake May's playing MVP level. But I'll win today though.
You know, the Quenches the Patriots playoff spot, I expect

(01:52:10):
them to put that lost behd him. I just just
just thinking about something and not saying it. But how
can the eleven and three team begetting three and a
half points against the struggling seven and seventeen. Wow? Yeah,
it seems fishy looking at that. I was thinking about
it before I said it, like, wow, it just seems fishy.
It just seems fishy. I don't know. I'll stay away,

(01:52:33):
but I'll be rooting for you.

Speaker 4 (01:52:34):
You know, it's funny, man.

Speaker 3 (01:52:36):
It's hard to tell which it really is, because sometimes
the line is telling us something and it's like whoa, whoa,
whoa careful right, like careful went backing the Patriots. And
sometimes the line hasn't caught up to the reality. And
I could see that being the case in this one,
where huh. You know, it's just like the Patriots. I
get it, they're the Johnny cumb Lately team and there's

(01:52:57):
a lot of skepticism when it comes to them, but
they've been a good team this year and they beat
the Bills on the road. You're not going in and
beating the Bills on the road in a primetime spot.
If you're just some schlub team, like, that's not what
the Patriots are. I look at them as much more
than just beating up on a mostly weak schedule here
and it has been mostly weak. That's how they're viewed

(01:53:18):
by many. But I think they're better than that, and
we'll get an indication tonight.

Speaker 6 (01:53:24):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:53:24):
If they truly are better, they should handle business tonight.
How about this one. The Ravens are one in five
against the spread against teams with winning records this season.
It's one thing to be skeptical about the Patriots because
they beat up on a lot of bum teams, But
how about the Ravens getting beat up on by winning teams?

Speaker 2 (01:53:40):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:53:41):
Like, you got to factor that in as well. All Right,
we've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight

to make.

Speaker 1 (01:55:22):
Let's do it by.

Speaker 2 (01:55:25):
Five games against the spread. We call it, call it
the crack challenge.

Speaker 3 (01:55:31):
All right, let's do it one in four in the
crack Challenge. Last week the Ducks, the Packers trying to
break my spirit.

Speaker 1 (01:55:38):
I won't let it happen.

Speaker 4 (01:55:39):
I'm ready for this. Jeff, we start with you.

Speaker 2 (01:55:41):
What do you like?

Speaker 5 (01:55:42):
I saw someone bragged on the internet that they are
hot because they hit Seattle and Bear's money lining back to.

Speaker 4 (01:55:50):
Oh boy, not insane the hockey.

Speaker 3 (01:55:52):
There's the difference.

Speaker 5 (01:55:54):
That person took Denver by the Way today to cover
the spread. So I have wagered a heavy wager on
Jacksonville them. I'm gonna make my crack challenge, But in
real life, that's been a web drive made of mine chargers.
Plus one and a half add to the count, please, sir,
plus three for the Tennessee Titans. I will take the
Panthers plus three as well. Okay, I will take the

(01:56:15):
raven to gainst my better judgment minus three because I
think that's the right side. And uh, let me there's
one and two of the other numbers that I could
give this game, because Dolphins are plus three at plus
one hundred other like other Okay, we talked about this before.
Can I get like a like a three and a
half like a other other way here we go? Can

(01:56:38):
I get like a a plus four minus one twenty five?
Is that allowed?

Speaker 2 (01:56:42):
Oh, plus three and a half or not plus plus
three and a half.

Speaker 4 (01:56:45):
You go to the judge, mister plus three and a half.

Speaker 5 (01:56:49):
Judge plus three and a half.

Speaker 4 (01:56:50):
Okay, plus all right, you got the Finns.

Speaker 2 (01:56:53):
I like that. Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:56:55):
I'm with you and I'm against you. Schwartz Syndicate here,
I'm with you on Carolina. We've gone over that. I
just think Tampa is reeling right now. And also I'm
against you. Give me the Pats. Huh give me a
Sunday night head to head the Schwartz Syndicate versus No,
I canna come home something fancy. You know, I don't

(01:57:16):
have anything syndicate like right there, you know you win
that battle with I'm gonna go with let's say those
are a couple of my dogs. Everything else's favorites. Give
me Minnesota. The Giants just stink. Okay, there is a
terrible team, and you got a rookie quarterback against the
Flora's defense.

Speaker 4 (01:57:32):
I'm laying less than a than a field goal.

Speaker 2 (01:57:34):
I'll do it.

Speaker 3 (01:57:35):
Give me the Vikes skull hashtag skull right there. Give
me Detroit, So, got's the habit spot. Steelers aren't good, right,
I'll lay the seven and a half with the Lions.
And this is a little bit of an aggressive play,
but I'm gonna buy the Saints. Saints defense has been
good lately. You got Brady Cook in there, rookie quarterback.

(01:57:57):
The Jets suck.

Speaker 4 (01:58:00):
And a half. I'll go with who dat in this spot?

Speaker 2 (01:58:02):
Right here?

Speaker 4 (01:58:03):
We got some rapid fire to do. Let's do this
rapid fire, all right, Crack, we start with you. What's
something you like?

Speaker 2 (01:58:12):
Okay, let's go Saints.

Speaker 7 (01:58:15):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:58:15):
Juwan Johnson under his receiving yards thirty seven and a
half playing less snaps from the Saints are ahead, So
I'm hoping you're right about that. Saints plasure and I'm
hoping they're ahead and he plays less less snaps there
you go, okay under his good enough?

Speaker 4 (01:58:29):
How about cracking and no just teaming up?

Speaker 3 (01:58:32):
You know, like solidarity, right, there's let's win on both sides.

Speaker 4 (01:58:35):
Jeff, you like anything else?

Speaker 2 (01:58:36):
Do you want to mention?

Speaker 5 (01:58:37):
We'll just recap. I gave the eighth chm over rushing
and receiving Philip Rivers under one of their wagers. Not
up yet. Montana State plays Illinois State in the FSTENS
Championship game. I will take Montana State. I don't whatever
the number is. I'm in on Montana State. It's not
up yet. They're much much better Illinois State. They just
blew out Montana yesterday. They're gonna blow Illinois State. I

(01:59:00):
don't know what it is, not up yet, but I
will take the SCF Championship game, which is it's like
two weeks. I'll take Montenna States.

Speaker 3 (01:59:06):
That's awesome. I always write your picks down. I just
like this, Jeff, Montana State parentheses. Whatever the number is,
I think that's awesome.

Speaker 5 (01:59:14):
I think it's like ten. It's my guess. Around ten,
it's my guess.

Speaker 2 (01:59:16):
Not up yet.

Speaker 5 (01:59:17):
Cracks looking I could see.

Speaker 3 (01:59:18):
It's yeah, there you go. I'll give you one more.
I like Chewba Hubbard Panthers running back me over. I
think the numbers at thirty two and a half rushing yards.
I just think Caroline is gonna be able to run
it effectively against Tampa today. So I'll take Chewba Hubbard
over his uh his rushing yards right there?

Speaker 4 (01:59:35):
All right, we got Cracks play today.

Speaker 2 (01:59:37):
Let's do this. This is the best play of the days. Well, first,
Montana State is eight and a half. I see the
line there you go? Okay, all right, well there's your line.

Speaker 7 (01:59:49):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:59:50):
Let's let's also go the same situation there, Kincaid under
thirty seven and a half receiving yards for Buffalo, same thing.
I think they're gonna have a lead. So, uh do
you want Juwan Johnson and and Cater both my same underplays? There?
There we go, guys, thirty second half.

Speaker 4 (02:00:05):
It's the exact same number. Two makes it easy to
remember and to parlay.

Speaker 2 (02:00:09):
Happy holidays everyone,
