Welcome in Week eight NFL Action, Little World Series, Little
College Football recap, beautiful thing.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Good morning Crack, Good morning, Jaff. Football is work. I'll
tell you what.
Speaker 5 (01:01):
I'm over here in La the Fox Sports Radio Studios.
It's a great morning. So the Great Isaac Lohenkron, he
waved to me, Brianna brought donuts. I've already I'm one
donut deep, which I think means I'm gonna get every pick, right.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
I think that's what it means. How's everything going with
you guys.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
I mean, according to the Crack Challenge, you've gone most
every pick right already this season.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
We haven't really talked about that twenty.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Four and eleven, I believe I think I saw this morning, right.
Speaker 6 (01:27):
I just is he not saying anything because it doesn't
want to jinx it. I was wondering when he was
going to say something.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Wow, I'm gonna say it's that's good.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (01:36):
I appreciate that. Very nice to you guys. Yeah, I
just ya. I'm ahead. I'm a lunch pail guy. You know.
I'm like Julio Jones. I'm Julio Jones of the handicapping world.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
You know.
Speaker 5 (01:47):
I just go by my business because you know how
it goes as soon as you toot your own horn,
and it goes south real quick, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
So now it's been a good start, real good, not bad.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
It's been a good start of ball college football. Every
week I'm either three and four or four and three.
There's just no there's just no. There's no difference for
six weeks in a row. Now, it's been interesting, culturable season.
I mean, look think about where we are with the
teams that we thought would be playoff teams. Which is
the teams right now that are probably in the postseason.
(02:18):
A and M right in the postseason. Old Miss probably
a postseason team right now, Indiana very much in the postseason.
You know, it's been a very interesting constaball season. We're
gonna have a job cycle coming up here like we've
never seen before. Right We already have prominent jobs open,
plus probably the addition of LSU and Florida State. It's
(02:40):
gonna be something that we've never seen before in this
sport where we're gonna have in this cycle Florida, LSU,
Florida State, Penn State, maybe a surprise others Oklahoma maybe,
I don't know how they finish South Carolina. I mean,
there's gonna be these these jobs open that it's gonna
be a reset of the coaching landscape in college football.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
Yeah, no, absolutely, And it's major jobs too, you know,
and where do where does where do the guys like
James Franklin end up too? You know, the guys that
have lost the power jobs. That's an interesting element as well.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
So yeah, it's interesting because you know, if like if
you are if you're you know, a team hiring a coach, like,
do you go right back I think James Franklin is
very hireable this year, but because Brian Kelly, if he
gets fired, hire balls, Mike Norvell, hire ball. Like this
is so fascinating to me about you know, what happens
(03:37):
in this sport. But I think even more fascinating is
as a playoff structure right now. It's gonna be uh
very interesting how this comes down the stretch here, because
there's still a lot of conference play left, there's a
lot of madness left right now. You know, you have
basically a three team race I think to win the
(03:58):
championship between Indiana in Alabama who survived late yesterday, that
A and M. Right now, Vandy is probably a playoff
team at the moment, which is which is wild to think.
But they're seven and one right now. I might even
tryw good they are just keep winning games though b
Yu keeps winning. I don't think they're that Georgia Tech
(04:18):
might be a playoff team. I mean, it's wild right now.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yeah, it really is. Go ahead.
Speaker 6 (04:24):
I was just this is gonna be You're gonna like this, Brian, Yeah,
uh so. My assistant, my right hand man, last week
says to me, do you realize how good Brian is
doing in the Crack Challenge. I said, I'll be honest
with you know, I don't know why so and I said,
I wonder why he didn't mention anything. So now Jeff
mentions it. And I said, you know what, I better
(04:45):
not be the one. I don't want to jone it.
I don't want to jinx it. But I was wondering.
So you knew you were doing You just didn't want
to rock the boat or.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
I just don't you know whatever, just that.
Speaker 5 (04:56):
No, I'm not like, hey, guys, did you see I'm
not that.
Speaker 4 (04:59):
Go Schwartz would open up every show.
Speaker 6 (05:02):
But if that was his record twenty four and eleven,
Jesus no, but that's really anything.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
Yeah. No, there I'm being I'm being funny. You can't know.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
You know. The thing is if you if you talk
about a crocket's bad it's bad luck.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
That's it's amazing. It's amazing, even like that.
Speaker 6 (05:20):
The smartest people in the world I deal with right that,
the pure bugs of the world, they beyond the math
and the algorithms and the models. We still have that superstition.
Maybe it's from where we're from. Maybe just because it's gambling,
you're right, Jeff, You're very right, guys.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
I only ask you something.
Speaker 6 (05:39):
I heard Ilo say something right at the beginning. He
said that Tua they listed him as as that I
hear the right word. Yeah, but he's still starting, so
the Dolphins listed him as on on their injury report.
But he's still starting, so it is is he gonna
(06:00):
play a couple a quarters?
Speaker 3 (06:03):
I think I think I came on here last week
and told you guys that I thought justin fields unders
where the way that goes, he was gonna be benched.
Brian the Dolphins fan. He might be able to talk
about this a little bit more. But I think there's
a chance that two uh is not making this entire
game today, just on the fact of like the Falcons
(06:25):
are better at home, they're off a really stinky loss.
Cousins is probably an overall upgrade just if he plays
his ability today. Just Pedix is good, but there's some
blind spots in Penix's game, Like this feels like a
spot where two again plays like three and a half
quarters now two and a half quarters, and it's like
they're down a bunch and he's out of here. We
(06:46):
we saw Mike McDonald the disgust he had. I know
if you saw the video where he was like like
get him out of here, like just like get like
you're done. And I just think that that the way
I look man also to I don't like even what
I'm hearing out of out of out of his mouth
(07:07):
when it comes to right, you know, like I can't
see I can't what Okay, figure it out. Figure it out, buddy,
like this stuff like that where it's like we're I
just don't like the things I'm hearing out of Miami.
So even if he plays a little bit, I don't
know if he's playing the whole game.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
Yeah, No, it's true. You got a lot of ways
to get there. If you're on the two or two
under passing yards where you think about what you just mentioned, Jeff,
You think about the Falcons have the number one pass
defense right now. They only give up an average of
one hundred and forty one passing.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
Yards per game.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
They rush the passer very well.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
And then you and the Dolphins don't do a great
job of, you know, protecting from that pass rush. And
and you also think later in the game, the Dolphins
can't stop the run at all. So if the Falcons
are leading comfortably. Let's say they're up by ten or more,
They're gonna be running the ball and they might be
moving in the chains even though the Dolphins know that
(08:01):
it's coming. So yeah, and the getting bench. Like Tua
has ten interceptions, He's tied with Geno Smith for the
most interceptions this year. He had three of them last
week against Cleveland. So if he's you know, thrown a
couple of first half interceptions, you're right, like he might
be sat on the bench midway through the third quarter
or something like that.
Speaker 6 (08:22):
Wow, this is one of those games where fifty I think,
like yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Like that, like that, this is one of those games
where the Tyson Algier over rushing the backup running back
is really a really good play here, because I just
I think that you're gonna end up a situation where
the Falcon is gonna he's gonna be their guy in
the second half of this game. And uh, he already
gets a bunch of carries anyways, right, and if they're
able to do it again, I mean, this is the NFL,
so not everything goes exactly like you think it's gonna go,
(08:46):
but there's a possibility he ends up getting a ton
of carries in this game and ends up having the
ability to just do a lot of damage on the
ground as a backup.
Speaker 5 (08:57):
Yeah, I know, he popped up on the injury report.
That's It's the only thing that I would worry about.
I don't think it's anything matters anymore. Do we do
we still trust them?
Speaker 2 (09:06):
Do we do things injury reports?
Speaker 1 (09:09):
It?
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Well, it's just this Ravens things so interesting to me
because those who missed it, Lamar was essentially healthy and
then they put him on the injury report saying he's
not going to play. Because so here's the thing about it.
So the injury report is about a couple of things, right,
It's about the treatment you receive. So if you receive
treatment in the in the in the training room and
(09:33):
they use a device on you, you have to be listed
on the injury report. If they don't use the device
on you, or you go like to do it by
someone else, like if you have your own personal person,
you're not an injury report, you're not well. That's one factor, Jary,
But the other one is obviously practice. So the Ravens
claim Lamar participated fully in practice but ran the scout team,
(09:56):
not the first team offense. So they're right in saying
that he was a full participant in practice. He wasn't
a full participant in the way that he should be,
but like he technically was a full participant in practice,
he participated in fully, not with the ones he participated
in practice. So like there's a little bit of it's
(10:16):
not right what the Ravens did, but they're also not
wrong either. They're being a little bit manipulive with how
they address it. Now, obviously, do you gonna get fined
two hundred thousand dollars, They're gonna find a lot of
money for this, but that they're they're trying anything that questions, like,
howses any different that Aaron Glenn saying we don't know
who's playing at quarterback for four days. It's not really
(10:39):
any different. It just feels worse. And I saw people
trying to equate it to the basketball scandal, which I
hope we get into at some point here today. It's
not even close to the same thing. By the way, with.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
Jeff's talking about too. There's a great article on ESPN.
Speaker 6 (10:54):
Jameson Hensley wrote that the NFL will investigate Baltimore Ravens
handling of quarterback Lamar Jackson's practic participation. This article is
very good and this shows you exactly, uh you know
what what what happened here? And let me be blunts.
Some of us sports betters like me, my hands in
the air. I know, no one could say it, but
my hands in the air. I was taken by this
(11:15):
a little bit. So I actually bet the over and
released the over on this game, and it moved it.
It moved up a point after I released it.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
It's now it's.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
Down five points.
Speaker 6 (11:25):
Now, it's actually down six points from where two. And
we get taken sometimes too. So let's get right into
what Jeff's saying. I didn't know if we were going
to talk about it, but let's talk.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (11:37):
So, you know, I gotta tell you some of these
credible news sources. I had a laugh at last night
when I watched to sit Down what Jeff may do
on YouTube, which is the most comprehensive breakdown of those indictments.
It just shows you how people spin things. It's almost
like the TMZ of news when you see all these credible,
(12:00):
supposedly credible sources. The breakdown that Jeff Nado did on
this sit down yesterday was the most comprehensive, unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (12:11):
I had to watch it twice, that's how good it was.
Speaker 6 (12:13):
He's not afraid to name names, and he's not afraid
to go after the major media sources that claim to
blow these things out of proportion, and in other areas
of the indictments actually take the real names of the
people that were involved and kind of blow them up.
So I just recommend anyone to watch that and listen me,
(12:36):
Jeff and Brian, you're talking about that's right. I'm probably
gonna say, since we started this show, there probably isn't
a show on broadcast media that I know of, whether
in video or audio, that guys talk about proposition bets
and betting on props more than us three. I'll just
(12:58):
tell you because maybe because I was so enamored in
props and had such a nice edge and props. But
my edge comes from my guys doing their reading, doing
their research, following beat reporters. So when this comes out,
I really had some I don't want to call them
bad nie, you know, I had some people.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
That aren't in my life or.
Speaker 6 (13:21):
In my life even questioned me saying, oh, hey, do
you know anything about do I know anything about this?
Speaker 7 (13:28):
Dim?
Speaker 4 (13:29):
How much kind of you know? How much? Hey, listen me,
Bill Krackenberger here in Vegas. Do you know how much
struggle I have betting on props?
Speaker 6 (13:37):
I bet a dime at one spot, a diamond another like, like,
are you kidding me? NFL super Bowl Brian will tell
you he was with me in line that at Westgate.
It's so hard to get down any significant money on
proposition bets. I just had no idea that these that
there was people's accounts that were this much sucker accounts
(13:57):
that can get down this type of money. And I'll
be a real blunt. I have seen some of these
figures in media. Come on, come on, two hundred thousand
on a Rosier under. I don't buy it. I'm sorry,
I don't buy it.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
I don't buy it.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
So there's so many things to get to here. First
of all, so the thing about inside information, it doesn't
always mean you're gonna win. I lost the game in
comfortable last night. I knew Utah's quarterback wasn't playing. I
text you, crack, I think I'm Monday. My Utah's quarterbacks
not playing.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
You buried me.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
They won fifty three to seven last night. Okay, it us,
it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Sometimes it does, Like
I had the under last night. It was forty three
to nothing at halftime.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
Jesus, it doesn't perfect exactly.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
I remember. I remember during COVID, I gotta I gotta
text from someone because Cow, Cow's the one program in
the country that had the worst of it with COVID.
Because even when COVID was sort of like the wrong
way to put it, but quoote over in the rest
of the country, the Bay Area was still on complete lockdown.
And the next year after COVID, Cow football basketball, they
missed four or five guys of game, twenty guys in football. Whatever,
(15:05):
I gotta text with someone, Hey, Col's missing four basketball
starters tonight, But any other team Cow won by like
fifty five, it didn't matter. So sometimes even the information
now now, so okay, that's one story, But getting it
directly from terror Rogier is different, a different thing, right.
Speaker 5 (15:21):
It is like hammer my others and my foot really
hurts ten minutes in yeah, correct, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
So there is a network of inside information that isn't
the player just saying we're gonna be out right or
we're not gonna play. So look, there's like three different
parts of this indictment that related to sports in my opinion. Right,
there's the part where Lebron's friend knew he wasn't playing,
and he told people he wasn't playing. I'm less outraged
(15:49):
by that. That feels like sort of the stuff we
might hear in our circles, like, hey, this guy's not
playing tonight. Now knowing it came correctly from Lebron's friend,
that would help be very helpful. That's but that's like,
out of all things outraged, that's like low on my
list of outrage. The middle one is like the Roseiers
and the and the Jaunted Porter stuff. Right, We're like,
(16:10):
you're purposely taking yourself in a game to uh make
yourself and your friends money, Right, That's that's that's fraud, right,
You're you're defraudy everyone. The Chauncey Billups thing, that's the
really big deal. You're the head coach of a team
crazy and again all allegedly you're a head coach of a
team who's allegedly not trying to win games, which they
(16:32):
weren't trying to do anyways, ish in Portland, but openly
telling people hey, we're not trying to win this game.
And then there's a very instant there's instances where you
can go back and find like situations where very clearly
coaches were made that felt like they were along the
lines of game but it was a foul.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
Yeah yeah, yeah, but it was choice.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
Yeah but there was, but it was like there was
there's a lot of tweets from Portland fans that were
pissed during the season last year, like this guy scored
thirty three points, he didn't play the last six minutes
of the game. You're like, oh, or there's there was
one where they were I think they were they were
getting nine points, they were up by there were to
be down eight, and they founded four seconds left and
then they made two shots and didn't cover the game.
Speaker 6 (17:14):
Like, I don't know about this stuff, though, Jeff, this
is a lot of people with sour grapes that are
betting that.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Well there's yeah, but I'm about like accounts with three
hundred followers that followed the Portland trail Blazers between this
and any real time, like what's happening? Why why is
our coach doing this type of stuff? And here's the
problem with all of this. Okay, this is the number
one problem with it. It's not that we have to
ban gambling and gambling and needs to go away and
player props. Look, I could I could buy the case
(17:41):
that the ninth guy on the roster should have two
way player props. I could buy that case. Certainly fair,
I get that because like, yeah again, like why is
porter having two way proplem market? You know, it's like
I get it, I totally get it. The problem with
all of this is that it's a fraction of of
NBA or fraction is really fell scandal fraction of two
(18:02):
baseball players might have been throwing their first pitch of
the third inning prop Okay, like very small market, right.
It's that when we watch sports today and yesterday and
the day after that, we have to believe that the
players are doing it to win the game, and that's
the only reason they're playing.
Speaker 8 (18:18):
Now.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
Of course there's tanking, we know that, but the players
are actually playing hard. No player ever tanks. I mean
it was many times. No one play ever tanks. You
make zero money, taking no one, there's no loyalty, there's
no you play hard no matter what. But the fact is,
like when I watch an NFL today as a consumer,
as a fan, I have to know that they're trying hard.
(18:39):
Otherwise it ruins the product and it ruins the faith
that the fans have in the product. Now, of course fans,
it's rigged anyways, it's not. It's not rigged anyways.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
If it's rigged.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
The Cowboys who win every season, we've noticed many times
the number two the NFL, and that right now wouldn't
be the Indianapolis Colts. Okay, if it was rigged, sorry
Indianapolis fans, it wouldn't be the Colts. It wouldn't be
the Midwest Chiefs, would be the best team in the NFL.
It'd be that freaking Cowboys, the New York Giants, the Packers,
the Los Angeles Rams, they went every year. But so
it's not. But the fact is, though this now leads
(19:09):
to the idea that it's more rigged than we think,
which I don't think it is, and that every time
a player does something that looks kind of funky. You now,
if you're watching NBA game and tell me where it happens,
I understand you being like, yeah, that's that's a problem
with all of this. It's not that anything has to
be banned. It that it ruins the faith that we
(19:30):
have that these games are being played for the reasons
that we know, which is winning a game.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
The weird thing to me is, and we could talk
all show about this, but I'll say real fast, the
weird thing to me is, it seems like there's more
shadiness now to a lot of people because people are
getting busted or federally indicted or what have you. But
it's just the rules and regulations and the Overwatch is correct.
And so what would have happened years ago is that
(19:59):
the below seven poker game with X ray vision, what
it kept going on, you know what I mean, like
all the Terry Roseier stuff that would have kept going on.
But because there are more eyeballs watching for things that
raise red flags, these people get busted. So that's the
weird Like trickle down, there's less faith and more skepticism.
(20:19):
Like wow, it's like the wild wild West these days.
It's like, no, it's it was the wild wild West before.
Now there are actual cops with radar guns catching people speeding.
They've been speeding all along, they're just getting busted for it.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
Now.
Speaker 6 (20:33):
When it comes to when it comes to these indictments.
There's two different ones here, one for the poker guys
with wolves, the other one rose here. Let me just
tell you, though, if they did a deeper dive, and
if you really knew what went on with donahe years ago, right,
that case blows this one out.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
Of the world.
Speaker 6 (20:53):
Absolutely, that one blows these cases out of the water.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
They were they were gonna put a wired tap on
Donna and he was gonna have conversations with other officials.
There's no telling where that investigations.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
I keep I keep putting this up on social media,
and people refuse to understand the point that we're making
right now is that it was easier and more profitable
to do all these things when there weren't eyeballs to
every single game exactly. And there's stories to tell us,
stories about this happening in sports. Donahue, Boston College, Arizona State.
You obviously going back one hundred years to baseball, like
(21:29):
it was easier to do that because there weren't the eyeballs.
Now if if even today, if we play a player
prop on some ninth string wide receiver, it's like, why
is Schwartz putting this much money? They know immediately it's
it's an odd thing to do, so it gets caught
immediately and it shut.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
Down to talk about that. Jeff talked.
Speaker 6 (21:47):
Jeff has had multiple times on this show where he
has went second or third string back talked about these things.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
No I'm saying, but like like we just talked about it,
and now, you.
Speaker 6 (22:01):
Know, it's just it kind of drives me crazy a
little bit because here's what's going to happen.
Speaker 4 (22:07):
Already.
Speaker 6 (22:07):
These people that lose betting blame something else. They never
blame themselves, and they blame fix. I always talk about
the biggest three letter word in the sportsbook. Now, this
is such a black eye on our industry and our
even our prop betting industry that it's just going to
make everyone even think more and more. And you know, personally,
(22:28):
I hope it doesn't, you know, hurt the prop market
because I listen, I do very well betting prop player props.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
We know that.
Speaker 6 (22:35):
I just don't want it to hurt myself, of course,
but to be honest with you, I don't want it
to hurt the industry. And it's being such a black
eye on the industry, and I just think that of
course it's going to now listen, it should be investigated
to the full extent of the law. I'm not saying that,
but I don't think it should be looked at like
(22:56):
they're saying. Like I said, if you watched last night's
Jeff they do, the sit down, Jeff they do, that
was the greatest unraveling of this particular case, with the
real words, with the real people involved. And I think
that's something that if people are interested in the subject,
they should get into it. But I just don't want
people to use it as a crutch as more and
(23:16):
more now things are fixed and everything they're betting is fixed,
And honestly, if you think that way, don't bet.
Speaker 4 (23:23):
Yeah, that's all I can tell you.
Speaker 5 (23:25):

an interesting twist, No Lamar. But first a guy who
(25:26):
is always active. That would be Isaac Loewenkron, who has
got the latest?
Speaker 2 (25:30):
What is going on?
Speaker 10 (25:31):
I low, good morning, and the latest is is that
an old school nineteen eighties early nineteen eighties Saint Louis
Cardinal's shirt you having to be wearing over there?
Speaker 5 (25:43):
It is yeah, like the you know, the the yeah yeah.
I have to represent them while they're not in the
world series.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
The kerks of having you in studio.
Speaker 10 (25:51):
By the way, this is ironic because on the drive
to work today shows you how much of a nerd
I am. I'll be at a nerd with good taste.
I was listening to you, Vince Scully and Sparky Anderson's
radio broadcast of Game one of the nineteen eighty two
World Series, in which the Cardinals were probably wearing those
uniforms against the Milwaukee Brewers. A nice way to start
(26:12):
the day. Let's get you caught up on the latest
in the NFL. The Miami Dolphins this morning adding quarterback
to A Tungua Bai Looa to their injury report due
to illness without a status designation. The Dolphins say he
is still expected to start today's game at Atlanta. The
Cincinnati Bengals this morning added guard Dalton Reisner to their
injury report for their game today against the Jets due
(26:35):
to illness. Reisner is listed as questionable as for the Jets.
Speaker 11 (26:39):
The Jets have won the toss that elected not to
play anyway.
Speaker 10 (26:45):
The great Tom Brookshire, by the way, in Game two
of the World Series on Saturday night at the Los
Angeles Dodgers, what a Toronto five to one to tie
the series at one with a piece and the story
Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The World Series is first complete game in
a decade, complete game four hitter with eight strikeouts. He
retired the final twenty batters he faced in college football
(27:08):
on Saturday Night. Number three Texas A and M won
a twentieth ranked LSU forty nine to twenty five. Texas
A and M quarterback Marcel Reid ran for one to
eight with two touchdowns and also threw two touchdown passes.
Number twenty five Michigan ran wild in Michigan State thirty
one to twenty. Justice Haynes ran for one fifty two
(27:28):
with two touchdowns. Jordan Marshall ran for one ten, including
a fifty one yard touchdown.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Guys, back to you, thank you, I Low.
Speaker 5 (27:35):
It is Fox Sports Radio Scoutdown to Kickoff, presented by
Bett MGM. All Right, fellas, So let's get dive into
Bears at the Ravens. Ravens now favored by only two
and a half points. Lamar Jackson out again, Hey, but
good news he might suit up against the Dolphins on
Thursday when they could be one in six.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
So, I mean, you know, I mean.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
This is it's pretty fascinating just from the perspective of
Lamar not playing in this game. You know, we were
led to believe he would be healthy for this game,
and they were were eyeing the post by week to
get him back healthy and sort of salvage their season.
I mean, even up until early this week, like the
(28:18):
odds to win the AFC North right, Ravens are like
right in there. You know there are four four games
back I want to say from Pittsburgh, or maybe three
and a half games back, something like that, And you look
at their schedule, it's it's a very winnable schedule if
Lamar is playing. And I saw someone suggest this, I'm
kind of curious, Like were the Ravens trying to manipulate
(28:40):
the injury report to make Lamar feel like he should
play in this game? Hey, you're healthy, man, you're healthy.
Why aren't you playing? But clearly not ready to play yet,
and injuries are now becoming a part of his career.
It's been hurt a lot and it can't stay on
the field. Now. The Bears are pretty fascinating because they've
won four in a row. They shouldn't beat Washington, but
(29:01):
they did. Like I don't know how good the Bears are,
but I find this number is so interesting, Like he
came down only four four points after the announcement that
Lamar wasn't going to play. Yeah, and I don't I
guess maybe after a bye they think that the Cooper
Rush is more ready to play. We've seen Cooper Rush win,
by the way, It's not like he hasn't won before with
the Cowboys. I don't I don't know what to do
(29:22):
with this one. Are the Ravens the Ravens defense better
and shouldn't be healthier after the buye, right, Brian? But
are they much better? We don't know about that either.
It's really fascinating game.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Yeah, you know.
Speaker 6 (29:32):
The big news this week, as we know, was the
one about Lamar Jackson and Ravens false reporting his status
and practice status. Well, here's the statement the Ravens gave,
word for word, Lamar Jackson was present for and participated
fully in our entire Friday practice. Upon further evaluation today
(29:54):
and conferring with the league office, because Lamar didn't take
any starter reps in practice, we've updated our report to
reflect his practice participation.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
Yeah. But but but the thing about those crack is, like,
the practice report is not about whether you take starter
reps or not. It's whether you practice or not. So
if you practice fully, but you're the backup that that
that's it's not based on it's not it's not it's
not based on on like whether you practice with the
ones or not. It's just based on whether or not
(30:25):
you practice. So that's why I find it's interesting that
did to change the designation. That means he probably wasn't
practicing fully.
Speaker 5 (30:33):
Their lying lying very strange, right, Like, so what's the gain?
What's the gain out of all of that? And that
goes the.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
Bears prepare for a much different offense, right, Lamar playing
is a much different offense than Cooper Rush playing.
Speaker 5 (30:48):
It might be might be Snoop, which is like stylistically
like Lamar. But you're right, right, it does change the
preparation for sure. I wonder if it does like what
you're saying.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
It globoler by the way.
Speaker 5 (31:00):
That's that's right, But other people having the you know,
the thought of is this to put pressure.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
On Lamar at all, like get out there and give
it a go or.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
What I don't know, I don't know outside of gamesmanship
and you know, trying to pull the wool over the
bear's eyes, was there anything beyond that for.
Speaker 6 (31:16):
The role people laying six and a half sick and
they're stealing.
Speaker 5 (31:24):
And think of the trickle down with prop bets. There
are a lot of people like, oh, Lamar's back. Give
me Zay flowers, give me over receiving yards and that's
oh man, yeah a lot.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
I I thought this number was weirdly high before six
and a half, I was like, that's a big number, right, right,
we would see Lamar play in a month, like there's
still other injuries to be concerned. I was kind of
surprised by that.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
No, I hear you.
Speaker 5 (31:46):
And that's the thing, man, Like, I love Lamar briefly.
The reason I love Lamar mainly is because he never
threw a success back in our face.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
Right.
Speaker 5 (31:57):
He could have easily been like some of you. I
thought I was never even gonna play quarterback. I'm a
two time MVP. He's never been like that. All the
flowers that he's gotten and deserved over the years, he's
like downplayed it and focused on the team, Like, yeah,
it's nice that I'm getting individual props, but we just
got to win.
Speaker 8 (32:16):
You know.
Speaker 5 (32:16):
It's always shifting it back to the team, and I
really respect him for that. But it's again another week
where they desperately need this guy.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
He's not one hundred percent. I know he's got a hammy.
Speaker 5 (32:27):
I know that greatly impacts him, especially stylistically, but this
dude has ten touchdown passes in one pick. You know,
he's got the best passer rating in football if he
qualified for that, and he's still not out there. I
know he's not gonna be like quote unquote Lamar with
a hamstring injury he's working through. Why can't he get
out there at a lesser version and just drop dimes left?
(32:50):
And why why can't he throw the ball through and
not run and be the dynamic playmaker like that?
Speaker 4 (32:55):
Why not?
Speaker 2 (32:56):
Why can't he they need him to?
Speaker 5 (32:57):
I'd rather have fifty percent Lamar, one hundred percent Snow
Puntley or one hundred percent Cooper Rush. And yet again
he's still not out there. He's like the anti Farv.
Farv would get out there with you know, half a leg,
and I know stylistically it's not even close to Lamar,
but the thought is going out there and playing when
you are not perfectly healthy. And it's another instance when
(33:19):
Lamar is just not doing that. You can't help the
team from the sideline.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
You can't Ryan. I think it is interesting, right, like
he just it's curely possible. It's much worse than we think, right,
that's fair to theorize, but you're right, like we've seen
other guys, apparently he feels like they play through some
injuries and find a way to make it work. And
unless Lamar is one hundred percent healthy, and maybe he
(33:45):
knows that we'll judge him because he's not one hundred
percent healthy. He already got paid though, so it was
a matter what we think about Lamar Jackson. The fact
is they need him in these games. He's not doing it.
I wonder if this has rippled down effects for Harbaughs
as their head coach moving forward in Baltimore, because I mean,
they don't win this year if they go you know,
four and thirteen, five and twelve, which was unlucky with
(34:06):
their schedule. But like what happens to his coach after
the season, I think he runs back again after they've had
misses now for multiple years in a row. So I
understand I understand why this this is frustrating people that
you know, he can't get on the field after again,
we were basically led to believe that he should be
on the field after the buye.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Right, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (34:26):
I think that's why it feels even more so like
another missed game because we were led to believe he
was going to be playing in this one, correct, and
yet he's not. So I hope he heels up, but
there's got a will hope he's healthy, right, We all
hope that. But there's got to be a point, like, think,
how many look at it around the NFL quarterbacks that
are dinged up and still going out there and playing.
(34:46):
You go back to the same draft class Baker Mayfield.
I remember like his fourth year in Cleveland, he was
all banged up and he was still going out there,
and that greatly impacted his market after that. And yeah,
I get why if some players would would go the
Lamar path and and play it safe a bit, and
(35:07):
other players will go out there and it's like, hey man,
I can play. I'm limited. I'm not the same version,
but I can play. And I respect you if you
get out there at a lesser version as long as
you're not hurting the team. I'd make the argument I
think Lamar is hurting the team more by not being
out there at a lesser version than then you know,
(35:27):
him being out there at a lesser I.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
Don't really stoop is playing today. I did, I guess
I did say the report. I don't know I'd rather
have Cooper Rush play. I feel like, yeah, obviously, it's
you know, it's it's tough because.
Speaker 6 (35:37):
Jeff, I heard you say about the So do you
think Baltimore actually has a shot to make the playoffs?
Speaker 4 (35:44):
Then? Yeah, okay, the second half of the season is.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
Well, yeah, look at the look at the If Lamar
was healthy, they have like a nine game stretch, they
should win seven of nine games, and then you just
then you figure out there. But the problem is Lamar.
How we know he's going to play next week? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (36:03):
No, Because I'm actually looking at bet mgm odds. I
was pretty shocked. I don't know why I thought Baltimore
to make the playoffs. I thought the NO would be
much higher than it is minus one fifty five. Yeah,
I just thought that it would be way over two
to one wow no to not make the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
So maybe the value there might be the no.
Speaker 5 (36:26):
By the way, how about this real fast, if the
Ravens lose, they'll drop to one in six. In the
history of the NFL, there has been one team to
make the playoffs that started one in six. It's the
seventy Bengals.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
That's fifty five years ago.
Speaker 5 (36:41):
Yeah, that's what they're facing right now if they dropped
today's game. All right, we've got Bill Grackenberger, professional sports handicapper.

Crack.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
We start with you, what do you like?
Speaker 6 (38:03):
Well, I'm gonna give Jeff my pick, and I'm gonna
pick another pick. Imagine the odds of all the games
out there and fifteen hundred props, thousands of different.
Speaker 4 (38:13):
Times the same exact game.
Speaker 3 (38:16):
It's my best bet all week, Cracked, we have the same,
We have the same.
Speaker 4 (38:19):
Oh wow, okay, god, we're dead.
Speaker 6 (38:21):
Okay, let I'll go with the Browns here, the Browns
plus seven.
Speaker 4 (38:27):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (38:28):
You know, I just when I see these lines sometimes
on these teams that I don't think much of. But
we'll see we're referring to, of course, the Patriots here.
Uh yeah, still solid seven. So let's go with the
Browns here plus the seven points. And uh okay, Jeff
go on to our other pick that we both actually like.
Speaker 3 (38:48):
Okay. So I don't really look at coaching stats when
it comes to the teams except for one team not
the Pittsburgh Steelers. There is no better team to wager
on two situations a over field goal, road favorite, but
the other side app just like just auto bedam the
(39:09):
other spot. Mike Tomlin home dog, nothing better in sports.
Mike Thomass is a home underdog in thirty two games.
He is twenty two seventy three against the Spreader as
a home dog twenty two seventy and three. They're off
a bad loss. No one believes in Pittsburgh anymore. They
gets a Packers team the last month of the Packers
guys lose, the Browns tie, the Cowboys, don't cover against
(39:32):
the Bengals and have to come from behind to beat Arizona.
They were never heading that game to they were at
the very end did not cover against Arizona as well.
I got it, Packer. The only problem is the series
are wearing those golf They're wearing what do we call
them the the the bains like they're they're signuniforms that
were from from uh, from right, the Dark Knight or.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
Whatever they were for them.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
The city gets blown up, right, I hate him, but
give this.
Speaker 5 (40:00):
It was plus three, all right, I'm gonna look to
this Niners Texans under give me under forty two.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
Love it.
Speaker 5 (40:07):
A couple of reasons, right, Like the Texans number one
scoring defense in the league this season. They only give
up fourteen point seven points per game. I don't expect
the Niners offense to be prolific. And then you also
look at this. Are you sitting down for this?
Speaker 8 (40:20):
C J.
Speaker 5 (40:20):
Stroud has the same passer rating as Jets quarterback Justin Fields,
same exact to the decibel.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
Point and everything.
Speaker 5 (40:29):
And now he doesn't have Nico Collins, he doesn't have
Christian Kirk. He's got some rookies to rely on. I
don't expect them to light it up. So give me Niners.
Texans under forty two.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
Love it? Love it. It went up a point, it
was it was forty one early this week. I don't
know what people have seen.
Speaker 4 (40:44):
This open up forty three and a half. I cannot
believe that's stat.
Speaker 6 (40:49):
Bryant Wow wows Stroud.
Speaker 2 (40:52):
Field Field Wow Fields.
Speaker 5 (40:55):
Yeah, I know that's where it's at. By the way,
payout is plus five eighty one. Love it almost true?
Speaker 4 (41:00):
Right there? All right?
Speaker 5 (41:00):
Coming up next, this team is a prime candidate for
the most disappointing.
Speaker 2 (41:05):
Oh what is going on? Happy Week eight two of you.
Speaker 5 (41:07):
As we get to you all set up for a
full slate minus six teams of NFL action, but some
really good games. We'll get to one of the more
intriguing matchups here in just a minute. Throughout the entire
football season, bet MGM will off for all different types
of no sweat tokens and odds boost tokens. Be on
the lookout for no sweat, same game parlay tokens, parlay
(41:29):
boost tokens, and so much more. How about the Niners
at the Texans? Texans favored by two and a half.
The total is forty two. I think, fellas, when you
look at the most disappointing teams in the league this season,
the Texans have to be close to the top of
the list. Right where who else is in that team picture?
It would be the Ravens, It'd be the Vikings, maybe
(41:52):
the Commanders right high expectations, but.
Speaker 3 (41:54):
The Vikings is pretty explainable with their core situation.
Speaker 2 (41:58):
All of them are right. Yeah, Craves Hughes is not explainable.
Speaker 5 (42:01):
That's the only thing Like Ravens have. Lamar's been out.
JJ McCarthy has played two games. Jason Daniels has missed.
Now it's gonna be three games. Stroud's been there the
whole time. They have the best scoring defense in football
in their two.
Speaker 3 (42:14):
And four Okay, so you mentioned the defense has been
fantastic offensively, Look, I say all the time that it
takes half a season with new coordinators and new quarterbacks
and maybe new defense to get going, you know, like
it does you see like last year the Eagles can
example right defensively like took them a little bit of
(42:36):
time Fanjo figured it out boom right like. But what
you typically see, though is a little bit of improvement
maybe every couple of weeks. And with Huges's offense, weven've
seen that at all. Think about this they played, I
don't know, it's in the top of my head, but
I know they played the two games offensive and they
played best Tennessee Titans, but it was six nothing in
the fourth quarter before they lost, before they won twenty
(42:59):
six nothing, and then they beat up on the Ravens,
who everyone's get right game was Baltimore, right, And the
other games they've played in they have failed to score
nineteen points or more. To mean they felt scored more
than nineteen points. They lost fourteen to nine, twenty nineteen,
seventeen to ten, so Rams Bucks, Jags, and last week
nineteen against Seattle, they were plus three in turnovers on
(43:22):
the road last weekend and still we're not close to
beating Seattle. So they are with their offensively. Now the
question is in this game, how long can the Niners
hold off the injuries on defense? So they've lost Nick Bosa,
they lost Fred Warner. There's no replacing those guys and
their pass rush win raider pressure rate with everyonea call,
(43:44):
it has come way down without Nick Bosa. No surprise,
I'm not Fred Warner is unreplaceable, right, but they battle, man,
they play their they play so freaking hard that team does.
And without you mentioned the wide receivers for Houston, the
bad offensive line Houston has, it might not matter that
it's gonna matter at some point the Niners can't rush
(44:06):
the passer and Fred Warner's out absolutely matter at some point.
Cracked not gonna matter today. What I find surprising is
how much money the Texans are all like, there's a
lot of money, and the numbers move. It was two
and a half now was one.
Speaker 6 (44:20):
Maybe pick them at some point and on Houston.
Speaker 3 (44:25):
Today yeah, and I know the Niners are public, I
get it, but it's the NFL. Weird things happen on
stunt sign as. We know that. But the case would
be for the Texans that the Niners defense finally cracks
in this game, like all the all the issues, but
they're playing so hard. Man. I don't I don't know,
I don't know, crack. I hate to be in the
sharp side. But the Texans to me are what they
(44:47):
are I feel like, and they're not just magic going
to be better. You might think that they might not.
The Texans defense allows no points today, certainly fair, but
their offense not scoring in this game.
Speaker 6 (44:59):
Yeah, keep dealing, like you said, with these injuries on
both sides of the ball. But they find ways to win.
In their last game, it was a big game from
Christian McCaffrey helped them get you know, Jones, you know,
I want to tell you something that not only to
help get.
Speaker 4 (45:15):
The win there.
Speaker 6 (45:16):
You know, they weren't really before I get to Jones,
they weren't really the talk really wasn't Christian McCaffrey like
it was Jones. The previous couple of games or the
game that I watched on Thursday, Night Football. I was
somewhere and I've seen that. I was really surprised to
see him on Prime Time. He was playing so well,
but yeah, McCaffrey definitely helped him.
Speaker 4 (45:36):
Last time. Jones gets to start.
Speaker 6 (45:38):
Again, they look to go six and two against a
really good Texans defense, so used to number one of
the NFL points allowed, fourteen point seven a game. But
the Texans offense, you know, has really struggled today. They're
going to be without two of their best wide receivers.
You guys said it before too, Collins and Kirk, so
they will really get to and they're going to really
(45:59):
need to estabt suly some sort of running game here
at two and four. They could really use a win
today and try to get back in the playoff mix.
And let me tell you, I came within a hair
of giving out the Texans. So but just I don't know,
just something something just talked me off at the last
minute here. And uh but I do know a sharp
(46:22):
gambling group that's on the Texans, and uh, yeah, we're
gonna see what's gonna happen to day.
Speaker 4 (46:27):
Man.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
I'll tell you what.
Speaker 5 (46:28):
Our guy Christian McCaffrey in the receiving game Jeff has
been a dream for us. My gosh, this every single
game he comes through.
Speaker 3 (46:36):
I wonder if this is the game he doesn't because
the Texans is gonna say, like, we're not you're not
getting the ball. I'm not. I might not do it today.
I don' wonder what's at it's been. It was over
last week. I mean every reception is every week. I
think we bet on Brian. I haven't done it yet
this week. It might be in gan situation too, where
I see how the game is going and if he's
got like a few or zero one two three couple
(46:58):
at halftime, maybe a better number second half. Has to
pass the ball. But the thing about it is you
might want to take his receptions away. But the way
it works out if you if you're just playing zone,
Mac just throws the ball to him. Look, it's like
it's just like, oh here you are, boom right there.
Like it's not very hard. So at some point, though,
again like with the Niners, the way Tarry McCaffrey is
(47:18):
going to.
Speaker 4 (47:19):
Be an issue.
Speaker 3 (47:19):
Absolutely. It just is like those backs we see all
the time, and at some point he's gonna get beat
up to where and if he's out, the Niners offense
is cooking nothing there. So that's the fear I think
of this game too. Look, the Texas defense is so physical,
so fast. Well did you take away McCaffrey. Let's say
we're putting we're playing man on him or banjoing, we're
(47:40):
putting two linebackers. Whenever he goes, we're taking him one
way or the other. Like that's it. We're just not
letting you have that guy in this game, Niners offense
will really slow down.
Speaker 5 (47:48):
Yeah, absolutely, and listen with Kittle being back, he was
huge last week for the running game. That's the best
the Niners have run the ball by far this season.
Last week against the Falcons, McCaffrey was amazing, like running
the ball, catching the ball. But you're right, the usage
rate is through the roof, and injuries have been a
concern with CMC over the years. So yeah, we'll see
(48:10):
how that goes. How about Giants Eagles Philly now favored
by seven and a half. Total is forty No AJ Brown?
No AJ Brown for this game. Hammy injury. They say
they're not trading him, Jeff, They're not interested. But it's
kind of interesting with this one.
Speaker 3 (48:24):
Yeah, correct, you're not gonna like this, but I'm thinking
about doing like a money line parlay with some of
these dogs today because look, there are so many double
underdogs today. That's way take that back. Underdogs are more
than a touchdown. That something weird's gonna happen today. Okay,
it just happens. It's just weird. Like this is the
day where like you're like, why is everyone Neil what?
(48:44):
Right now? We have well, the Jets numbers come down,
but that was six and a half, right, the Patris
everybody over touchdown. So's Philly, So's Buffalo, you know, the
Chiefs tomorrow night, Indy. Like there's just where things are
gonna happen. Why can't the Giants win this game again
like they did a couple weeks ago. Jackson Dart is good.
I think he's good. The question becomes like, what do
(49:07):
they mentally recovered from last weekend? Blacos core Remember thirty
three fourth quarter points, which is a college thing, Like
that's incredible, Giants smit's multiple extra points. They missed a
two point conversion by half a foot that would have
been you know, never would have been able to win
that game if that happens. Dart's legitimate. He's good. I
think he's good. The Giants defensive line again, still good,
(49:29):
he was offensive line still injured. Like those things are there.
Brown's not being there. The offense looked good last weekly
through the ball of Brown. It's not there. I just
seven and a half is too many points for me.
When we do Crack Challenge, Giants will be up, all
will be in there. Yeah, I just think there's just
too many points in a game where you know, again
two weeks ago, the Giants won this game pretty hegual
(49:50):
and in rematches, and the way I've felt about that,
I've done like the two games of three weeks a
couple hours in my career, it's the loser has the
advantage because they can change what they what they do, right,
So it's about figuring out like that sort of thing.
But I've actually played. I remember we played the Bears
in Minnesota twenty twelve, the same situation. They they dominated
(50:13):
us in Chicago and then we beat them badly in
Minnesota through two weeks later because they did the exact
same thing. We're like, why change.
Speaker 4 (50:22):
Now, studying that film of that first law, we did the.
Speaker 3 (50:25):
Exact same thing that why change? Like what what?
Speaker 4 (50:29):
What?
Speaker 3 (50:30):
So that's the one thing about this, like if you are,
if you're the Giants, that the Eagles have an advantage
here because they can't that game, they could just say like, oh,
well look what they did. Now. The question is, and
I haven't watched the film of this game, so the
first game closely, but if the Giants just physically beat
them in the line of scrimmage, there's no scheme for that, right,
(50:50):
you just win that game. We didn't lose the first
Bears game because we got we got be able to
lie scrimmage, but like we just came back and did Yeah,
we lost twenty eight to ten the first game. It
came back and won twenty one to fourteen two weeks later,
and it was it was we were up fourteen nothing
very early in that game. So that's just that's just
like I was, I remember being shocking. Oh, they doing
(51:12):
the same thing they did the first game. Man, what
a season. Christian Ponder was our quarterback ninety one yards
passing with Adrian Peterson. Though he had he had he
was nine yards short of Eric Dickerson's record that season. Wow,
that year, guys. Quickly Adrian Peterson was nine yard short
of Eric Dickerson incredible season. He had a sports hernia
right a core, a core injury that year, and he
(51:32):
would not He would not practice during the week the
last half of the season. Would practice all Friday is
an offensive line with Adrian Peterson. We'd spend ten minutes
during a walk through, maybe fifteen going over all the
run plays on Friday before practice. Okay, Adrian, here's this play.
This is where you run the ball. Here's where we
run the ball in this play. He loved the full
back we had drove. He loved falling the fullback. Here's
(51:54):
where you go here, here's we go here, here's we
go here. Fifteen minutes, well, he wouldn't even run, didn't
just would stand there. Come out on Sunday and rush
for two hundred yards. Is unblievable. Then he went practice
the whole week again. Friday, we do the exact same thing.
Hey man, Jesus, here's our seven core runs. G lead.
He loved this ace, this forty two a side of
a play action draw fake. He loved it. Just followed
(52:16):
Dromfeldt and right the middle of the field. Here's duo,
here's inside zone. Here's we go. It's a gap, B gap,
C gap outside inside, and you would just on Sunday
go do it unbelievable? Umlievable.
Speaker 4 (52:28):
Wow, Well real quick, guys.
Speaker 6 (52:30):
So the Giants are going to bounce back off that
crazy thirty three thirty two lost. Like you guys said,
I mean they led nineteen to nothing and in the
fourth quarter before the game just went wild. I mean,
you know, they dominated the Eagles, these Giants a few
weeks earlier, but I know from previous just history of
(52:52):
more collegiate sports, it's so hard to beat a team,
let's say, of college basketball, all three games home away.
Speaker 4 (53:00):
It just it just doesn't happen that way.
Speaker 6 (53:02):
So everyone just seems to be waiting for Sakuon Barkley
to have a breakout game this season. But it's the
Giants who have surprisingly been able to, you know, establish
a consistent run game with Scattaboo. This is this rookie
that everyone's talking about, and Philly is gonna be with that.
Like like Brian said, Aj Brown, they're big play threat.
So this can mean trouble for the Eagles offensive attack.
(53:24):
They've struggled a lot this season so far, even though
they have a five and two record. They easily could
have lost every game that they won, so you know
they're at the top of the division.
Speaker 4 (53:35):
The Giants haven't won in.
Speaker 6 (53:36):
Philly though, in twelve years, so they're going to see
if they can pull that upset today, and if they
do win, I recommend them getting off the field right away.
Speaker 2 (53:47):
Yeah, it was we lost.
Speaker 3 (53:48):
We lost twice when I was Yeah, I'm in that
twelve year range.
Speaker 5 (53:51):
There you go back in twenty thirteen, that's the last
time the Giants went in film.
Speaker 3 (53:55):
We lost fourteen to fifteen. That's a hard place to play.
We lost mine football foot in fifteen. Hard place to play.
It's loud.
Speaker 2 (54:02):
How about this though?
Speaker 5 (54:03):
You know they've lost MAO every game on the road
against Philly since twenty thirteen. But six and two against
the spread not bad, right, Like, so yeah, you're thinking
about that.
Speaker 4 (54:14):
That has me.
Speaker 6 (54:15):
Yeah, the seven and a half really, yeah, ask me.
Looking at the game myself, it's a lot of points.
Speaker 2 (54:21):
I love this too. With the props.
Speaker 5 (54:22):
So aj Brown eight plus targets in five of the
last six games. He's not playing today, and so you
look at the receiving props. Johan Dotson is at twenty
two and a half receiving yards, you normally see him
at like five and a half or like just scroll
down like Johan Dotson twenty two and a half, that's
like one hundred and fifty.
Speaker 3 (54:43):
I want to touch any of those, Philly, I wouldn't
touch any of those like Herts is not. It's with
this defensive line man, like if anything, you know, like
what does game all have any receiving props? I can
see like a third down screen like some of these
Like yeah.
Speaker 5 (54:58):
That's why I like say weird ways. It's just Saquan
out of the backfield. But the first matchup against the Giants,
he's wide open, steadily just over and HER's just not
looking for him.
Speaker 2 (55:11):
He's got to look for him with no A J.
Brown today.
Speaker 3 (55:14):
One thing about the backup running back angle that I've
found a lot of these times is that they don't
put the props up before the game, unless like Tyson
Algiers is going to play a lot and then the
end game, as soon as the backup running back gets
like one carrier, one reception, the pop, the props become
available and that's when you jump on them. But this
backup running back thing, man, I like it having sussess
(55:35):
this year, taking these guys pre flop with the idea that, like,
the game goes a certain way. Yeah, this is how
I think it's going to go. And you know what
do we do props in a few minutes thirty minutes
or so? I mean, Tyson Algier is gonna make it.
I like to two falcon props say. It kind of
worries me. Oh wow, Okay, Well we have to fade
the Dolphins pass defense against tight.
Speaker 5 (55:56):
Ends, fade their their rush defense, their pass defense against
It's just fad him in every.
Speaker 3 (56:01):
Why why was he fired? Yet? It's just no reason to.
Speaker 2 (56:04):
Like the question?
Speaker 5 (56:05):
Wait, I guess I really don't know at this point,
what more do you need? You got to us saying
calling out his teammates publicly, and it's been as bad
of a grease fire as it can be, and he's
still employed.
Speaker 3 (56:16):
I bet on them. I took four and a half
this week, under four and a half, I've already had
seven half. I just don't know where the wins are
coming they have. They have three games they can win. Saints.
I think it's like Saints Brown's chat something like that.
They have coming up.
Speaker 5 (56:31):
What they need to do is fire Mike McDaniel and
hire the U c l A interim staff.
Speaker 2 (56:37):
It's well not for yesterday, well yesterday, but you know
that was that.
Speaker 3 (56:43):
Was Indiana was my favorite wager yesterday. That was like,
that was that was college football? Nutshell you I I've
been That's a game I was most right on all season.
I knew that was coming. Yeah, to bring Jerry Newheisel
in man, have them, have them called plays for the
offense to what. You can't get up on the podium,
(57:03):
dude and say, I can't see my wide receivers. Right,
You're not the only little quarterback in the NFL, right right?
Can you imagine if Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, if as
cringy as he is, Kyler Murray was like, I can't see.
Speaker 2 (57:19):
Don't fault me.
Speaker 3 (57:20):
I can't see what my guys are. It's your job
to figure it out. It's whether you get paid fifty
five million dollars a year. Figure out what your wide
receivers are. I can't see them. I'm short.
Speaker 2 (57:30):
We know that, so.
Speaker 3 (57:31):
Figure it out.
Speaker 6 (57:32):
I want to go to Hurtch's passing yards today. I'm
looking at some previous bets I made throughout the season
under too eighteen and a half under two nineteen in
a different game.
Speaker 4 (57:42):
So he's down to like two oh.
Speaker 6 (57:44):
Five and a half or two oh six and a
half VENOMGM two O three and a half.
Speaker 4 (57:49):
It's really not a big drop off.
Speaker 6 (57:51):
Considering Brown's out and these other guys today. Yeah, I
would a live action bet here, maybe under two oh
let's go by the bet mgym two three and a
half here might not be a bad play.
Speaker 3 (58:05):
Yeah, isn't it? I no way you can get out
of here. But isn't it isn't it crazy that Jalen
Hurts Super Bowl champion? Like we know what he is,
top ten quarterback in my mind, it's two oh five.
Like even if Brown was playing two fifteen, yeah to seventeen.
Can you imagine if Mahomes was two fifteen three game
(58:28):
Herbert the other night was like I bet under Herbert
against the Vikings. It was two fifty three.
Speaker 4 (58:34):
Yeah, it was out there.
Speaker 3 (58:35):
And then they hit him live again. Actually this week
you get a little sticky, Like as soon as they
got up really big, I was like, I'm taking it's under.
Speaker 5 (58:41):
I was the one ninety one at halftime and nothing
in the second because yeah.
Speaker 3 (58:46):
It was it two twenty one. The Chargers went ahead
by like that. They scored the fourth touchdown in a row.
Whatever it was. You knew he want to throw the
ball the rest of the game, and it was two
forty nine. Yeah, he had a two twenty one. They
didn't throw the ball. Was like slim up for that one.
That's the other word. I took the running backs all
over in that game, and they just took over.
Speaker 6 (59:05):
And they want to take these props away from us, boys,
I know.
Speaker 2 (59:08):
I know, you throw the ones I win.
Speaker 3 (59:10):
By the way, I probably have. I joked, I have
a lot more money if it took them away from me.
If we had them.
Speaker 5 (59:18):
All right, we got Bill Krachenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz,
eight year NFL veteran. I'm probably in no register with

All right, let's do this follow the money real good one.
Speaker 5 (01:00:33):
We welcome in Christian Sippolini, bet MGM, Senior Trading Manager.
Good morning to you, Christian. Happy week eight. I'll tell
you what. I'm almost two donuts in today. It's a
wild time over here in La Are you a big
donut guy. Are you more donuts or what's the like
the fake stuff people are into you put cream cheese
(01:00:53):
on them? What is that Christian? You get down with
donuts or crack? You're big into this.
Speaker 8 (01:01:00):
Yeah, you do love a good donut, but I feel
like I don't end up eating them as much. But
a cinnamon role is the one that will really get me.
Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
It comes across my desk, the cinnamon roles.
Speaker 5 (01:01:11):
Okay, all right, who do you need today? What's on
the wish list for bet MGM in terms of teams.
Speaker 8 (01:01:19):
Yeah, we got a couple that were lopsided on today.
There's a lot of big spreads out there, a bunch
of sevens. We have a fourteen and a half out there.
The one that will definitely be a big need is
gonna be the Panthers. Bill's two straight losses public thinking
that they turn it around on this one. So the
Panthers cover would be really nice. Not taking too many
backers on the Jets or the Dolphins this week, judging
(01:01:41):
from how they played the last couple of weeks, So
those three teams, at least getting one or two of
those would probably be key for a.
Speaker 3 (01:01:47):
Good week for the book, talk about the Ravens Bears game.
What you've seen there with the injury reporting. You know,
obviously from one end to the other end, are you
liable on a side? I would imagine it was the
Ravens early people betting on the Bear as you just
hope the game doesn't go over, Like, what do you
mean that game?
Speaker 8 (01:02:07):
Yeah, exactly, that's a really weird one with how much
that that line moved. We're at Ravens minus six for
a lot of the week and then now we're down
to two and a half as of earlier this morning,
we were hoping for a Bears win. But I think
by the time we get to kick off with more
of the public backing on, I think it's gonna be
one where we're going to end up rooting for the
Ravens or it ends up being a little bit mixed
(01:02:29):
for us, just with the way of all that kind
of crazy line movement. A lot of the Sharps definitely
got good numbers on the Bears at six, but you
know they're always on top of those injury news.
Speaker 6 (01:02:40):
Well, Christian, you talk with the one of those sharps
that got the opposite end of that. Yeah, I actually
I actually played the over in this game earlier in
the week, but you know, it happens once in a while,
so literally ninety five percent. I usually have the best
of the closing line value once in a while, you guys,
get me. I want to ask you about a game
(01:03:00):
that probably no one's really talking about. Cincinnati was up
to a pretty solid six and a half, now down
to five and a half over on bet MGM. I know, it's,
like I said, a game that doesn't interest a lot
of people, but are the Jets really taking this kind
of money in this game? I know the Bengals are
nothing special, but the Jets, boy, just the dumpster fire
(01:03:23):
of a team this year.
Speaker 4 (01:03:25):
What do you see on this game? Yeah?
Speaker 8 (01:03:28):
I got two on our list that's doing a little
bit of a reverse line movement, and this Jets game
would be one of them. You know, much more of
the public backing the Bengals, and so far today I've
still seen a lot of Jets money or sorry, Bengals money.
But when I look at our handle splits, there actually
is some Jets money out there, and some of the
wiser guys out there have back the Jets, and that's
(01:03:50):
why that number has moved from at one point was
at six and a half Bengals, not a down five
and a half.
Speaker 5 (01:03:55):
Kind of interesting with the Sunday night game Christian where
the Packers are at the Steelers.
Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
Steelers a three.
Speaker 5 (01:04:00):
Point home underdog and a lot of people love backing
Mike Tomlin and the Steelers when they're getting points at home.
Speaker 2 (01:04:08):
Is this a spot where you need the favorite?
Speaker 5 (01:04:10):
And also, like a bigger picture, how often do you
actually need a favorite to cover the spread for maybe
a spot similar to this, Yeah, it ends.
Speaker 8 (01:04:20):
Up being pretty rare where we end up backing a
favorite this game. As of right now, if we're to
kickoff right now, we would be rooting for the Packers
as the favorite. But I think as we get closer
to kickoff, depending on what happens throughout the day, I
think that will end up switching. Right now, we're at
about fifty five sixty percent. A lot of times that
we end up rooting for the favorite ends up being
(01:04:41):
kind of a weird situations like this Ravens Bears game
that I touched on earlier, where that's probably one where
we're going to end up wanting the favorite. But for
the most part, it's just you know, more of the
public will end up taking the favorite, and sometimes they
just see a team as favorite and then they just
go ahead and jump on it. So that's just always
how that ends up working.
Speaker 3 (01:05:01):
Tomorrow night, Chiefs and Commanders, I would imagine that you're
begging the commanders to stay to keep this one close.
You're not getting much much money on the commanders.
Speaker 8 (01:05:13):
Yeah, no, And that line has moved from nine and
a half through that key number of ten up to
eleven and a half now, and you know, we'll take
a lot more action coming tomorrow. But you know, had
there been Jadeen Daniels playing, you know, I think we
would have got closer to fifty to fifty money. But
with Mariota out there and the way the Chiefs have
looked the last couple of weeks, I can't imagine we're
going to take a lot of public money on the commanders.
Speaker 6 (01:05:35):
Would you say that your biggest risk right now would
be maybe like the Eagles game or Miami Atlanta, Like,
out of all of them, what was the number one
game you'd want an upset Cleveland over New England or
Giants or which one would you really want the actual
upset or the Carolina one, Like you said.
Speaker 8 (01:05:55):
Yeah, the Carolina one would be nice, but I'd say
the Dolphins Falcons one is probably one that I would
probably throw onto there. Just the way the Dolphins are playing,
even with Kirk Cousins coming in, you know, that hasn't
changed much for the betting, still not taking a lot
of Dolphins action. That's probably the one there. If I
look at the most lopsided game we have, it's actually
(01:06:16):
Bucks Saints. We have about close to ninety percent of
the money on the Bucks, and that is a game
that has had reverse line movement. That was at five
and a half to the Bucks. We're now down to
three and a half. Usually a very suspicious one when
we have ninety percent of the money one way and
the lines going the other.
Speaker 6 (01:06:33):
And you know, I have a follow up question about
the baseball that I totally forgot and just thought about it. Christian,
I made a pretty large bet with bet MGM because
they had the best line out there on the Dodgers
on the series. So was that in result of maybe
exposure earlier in the year to Toronto's futures or did
(01:06:53):
someone bet Toronto or a group bet Toronto with you
guys that you guys had that lowest line that I've
seen out there on the Dodgers.
Speaker 8 (01:07:02):
Yeah, for that one earlier, we actually did end up
taking a little bit of Blue Jays action. This is
a fortunate spot for the book. We actually ended up
okay on Futures Wise World Series winner. That led us
to be able to lean a little bit more into
taking a couple more Dodgers bets. There were such a
(01:07:23):
big favorite throughout a good amount of this season that
our liability never was really climbing too much. So sometimes
we just take a couple of little slight positional takes.
You know, this was one of them, But it's more
of just a little bit of a lean than anything else.
Speaker 5 (01:07:38):
Okay, great, real fast question. I have a bonus question
for you. But we know it's a big teaser weekend.
Let's say it's a six point teaser, but how often
do you see games being teased the other way? Like
instead of saying I'm gonna tease Buffalo down to minus one,
where you see a leg or a couple of legs
where they're like, I'm gonna take the Panthers plus thirty,
(01:08:00):
how often do you see that in a week like this?
Speaker 8 (01:08:04):
Yeah, I did want to touch on that this is
a week where I think I think the Sharps will
end up having a great week in the public. Maybe
not so much, just there's so many key numbers out there,
a lot of sevens, a lot of threes, and even
a fourteen and a half. So yeah, when we do
get numbers like that, this is a week where we'll
definitely have a lot more spiking when it comes to teasing. Yeah,
(01:08:29):
I mean sometimes we will get those reverse keys, and
sometimes we'll even get it the other way where people
will take it at you know, you know Bill's minus
thirteen and a half. Kind of all depends on what
people are feeling that day and a lot of time.
A lot of times I feel like it's a little
bit more matchup based than anything else.
Speaker 5 (01:08:46):
Absolutely, all right, Christian, Well, hey man, appreciate your time,
enjoy the day, and we'll catch you soon.
Speaker 8 (01:08:51):
Yes, I'm good.
Speaker 4 (01:08:52):
Look everybody, thank you.
Speaker 5 (01:08:54):
There is Christian Sippolini bet MGM, Senior trading manager. Good
stuff coming up next. Familiar face that we haven't seen
in a little while, but right now, familiar face that
I am seeing live and living colored.
Speaker 2 (01:09:07):
Mister Isaac Loewenkron. What's going on.
Speaker 10 (01:09:09):
What's going on is I have a face for radio,
as you have just discovered. What's also going on is
the IT Actives for the early games have just been released.
Atlanta Falcons receiver Drake London inactive today against the Dolphins,
out with a hip injury. Miami quarterback to a Tongue
of Iiloe is active. Dolphins added tongue of Iloa to
their injury report this morning due to illness, but the
(01:09:30):
Dolphins say he is still expected to start today. Cleveland
Brown's backup quarterback Shador Sanders inactive today at New England
because of a back injury. Brown's tight end David Nijoku
is active. He'd been listed as questionable with the knee injury.
Cincinnati Bengals guard Dalton Reisner is active for their game
against the Jets. The Bengals added Riisner to their injury
(01:09:53):
report this morning due to illness. That a big soccer
match going on right now. FC Barcelona and Real are scoreless.
In the twentieth minute. Real Madrid has already had a
penalty kick overturned by var as well as a goal
by Killian Imbape overturned by var so there's var controversy
(01:10:15):
in soccer, just like there is instant replay controversy in
American football. In Game two of the World Series on
Saturday night at the Los Angeles, Dodgers won in Toronto
five to one to tie the series in one with
a piece Yoshinobu Yamamoto a complete game four. Henry struck
out eight, retiring the final twenty batters he faced for
(01:10:36):
the first.
Speaker 2 (01:10:36):
Complete game in a World Series in a decade. Ran

the bed MGM app. How about Dolphins Falcons. Here Falcons
favored by seven total, still forty four and a half?
Is Ilo just mentioned wide receiver Drake London is out.
The familiar face that we see is Kirk Cousins. Kirk
(01:11:24):
Cousins is starting no Michael Pennix Junior here today. I mean, guys,
forty four and a half. How's this going over?
Speaker 7 (01:11:32):
Like?
Speaker 5 (01:11:32):
The Dolphins offense is a wreck? Falcons have a pretty
good defense. You think Kirk with no Drake London is
just gonna light it up like they're gonna be running
the ball quite a bit. The Falcons are chewing up clock.
I mean, under forty four and a half seems to
be a decent, decent spot to go under here, I think,
I mean, I just.
Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
I kind of agree with you, unless the Falcons, you know,
do what the youth did last night and just score
over the bat ap point for the total and just
say that's crew this. I mean, look, is this like
for Cousins, this is like an audition game for him?
Like if he plays really well, is are the Vikings
calling to bring him back home?
Speaker 2 (01:12:14):
The Vikings?
Speaker 3 (01:12:15):
We should have a chat about the Vikings. By the way,
I I don't know if we have time for that
Brian today. But interesting, you know, just kind of spot there.
And yeah, I think the under is probably the way
to go. Or just like I think you can if
you want to have phone with this game, I think
you can take a Bijon and Algier SGP over rushing. Yeah,
and I think I think they're gonna run the ball
(01:12:36):
a lot today and maybe an adjusted Falcons team total,
we can kind of combine all through those together. And
again I think the two under crack mentioned earlier is
a good is a good witch. I just don't like
Brian if they're down. I don't know. Twenty seven to
ten is too efficish in the game.
Speaker 2 (01:12:55):
I know, I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (01:12:57):
Yeah, I don't think that's happening either. And you look
at the way they've played. The Falcons have played much
better home, by the way they beat Buffalo at home.
They beat the Commanders at home. Now that wasn't without
was about Ja Damia. But I scored thirty four points at home.
On the road they lost thirty nothing. The Panthers crazy.
They played not very good at Tema just go last week.
So they're back home. Dolphins on the road in the
(01:13:19):
Dome I mean, Cousins is fire. I think it's no
real adjustment needed with Cousins in Pennix. I don't think
there's much of a change there. You're gonna see the
middle of field target a little bit more with Cousins
than you would I think otherwise. So, uh yeah, I'm
I'm all in on the Falcons that when I I'm
debating the crack challenge, it feels too simple to put
(01:13:40):
the Falcons in crack, but it might. It might make
my card.
Speaker 4 (01:13:45):
Yeah, I got you, I got you. Well.
Speaker 6 (01:13:49):
I hate to say this to Brian, but not too Brian,
but this might be the worst Dolphins team since.
Speaker 4 (01:13:54):
They went one in fifteen.
Speaker 5 (01:13:55):
Back in seven, they I said, you're not hurting my feelings.
Speaker 4 (01:13:59):
Crapped.
Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
They're that bad. They really are.
Speaker 4 (01:14:01):
But you knew. You know what's funny. I give gotta
get Brian credit here.
Speaker 6 (01:14:05):
I talked about them preseason as some making some bets
against them to make the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (01:14:10):
Brian, you kind of agreed, Yeah, you like right away.
Speaker 6 (01:14:15):
So I said, you know, it might be a good
bet to make Dolphins don't playoff, you, which which is
hard to do when you have a favorite team. It's
so hard to bet against your favorite team. I know
so many of the public just won't do it, but
so that gives you some credit there.
Speaker 4 (01:14:28):
Though, tua And and McDaniel are.
Speaker 6 (01:14:31):
Really on life support here at this point. Benched last
week after three interceptions. I feel like McDaniel could could
get fired every single Monday that comes around. So Kirk
Cousins and me starting here. Uh and and you know,
I want to tell you my guys actually lean towards
the over on Cousins. Boy, he played so bad the
(01:14:52):
last couple of times I've seen him over on his
passing yards. So regardless who's starting a quarterback, the Falcons
game plan wasn't going to be to exploit this Dolphins
run defense and Robinson one of the best in the league,
especially after contact. In this Miami run defense is just
flat out bad. So we'll see what happens today.
Speaker 5 (01:15:12):
Yeah, man, Dolphins dead last in the league against the rush.
They give up one hundred and fifty nine yards per game.
And Atlanta's really good at running the ball. I think
Bijon is a big time target out of the backfield.
Also in the passing game, Dolphins blitz a ton and
the Falcons they target bijon a lot in those type
(01:15:32):
of situations, so he might get a lot of work
out of the backfield as well receiving. All right, we've
got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight year
NFL veteran. I'm Brian No coming up next. Prop it
up the prop betting market. I've got my eye on
a obscenely low rushing total. We'll tell you about that
right around the corner. It's Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff,
(01:15:55):
presented by bet MGM. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown

Speaker 4 (01:16:28):
Prop it up? Don't player plays? Ah?
Speaker 5 (01:16:32):
Yes, the prop betting market.
Speaker 2 (01:16:34):
Crack you love this? What's something you have circled today.
Speaker 6 (01:16:37):
Buddy, Well, let's start with Baker Mayfield, who looks awful
last week. Jesus, so I think they're going to run
the ball more this week. I just wanted to get
his current number at bet MGM two forty one and
a half on passing yards under Baker Mayfield.
Speaker 4 (01:16:53):
Passing yards all right, all right?
Speaker 3 (01:16:56):
I like how that the bet MGM app moved the
over unders for the U for the two way markets
like down you have to hit hit the all tab
and go down.
Speaker 2 (01:17:04):
To find them, like the secret passageway over there.
Speaker 3 (01:17:06):
Yeah, like they throw the one way markets up, but
the two way markets. So I like that the Tyson
Algier over forty two and a half. It's it's a
high number for a backup running, but I think he
gets the ball a lot today, an opportunity to let
the backup work. I'm trying to find the receptions over
under here because again I received like I think Kyle
Pitt's gonna have a good day, like the Dolphins allow
(01:17:28):
a ton of the yards to receptions to tight ends.
Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
Let me try to find that for you. Yeah, periods
got it.
Speaker 3 (01:17:36):
The one way markets up and it's at for fifty
plus for him is minus one thirty for Kyle Pitts.
Speaker 2 (01:17:43):
So yeah, he's at four and a half for reception.
Speaker 3 (01:17:47):
I like. I like the receiving yards over.
Speaker 2 (01:17:49):
Okay, yeah, more more, more yards than catches.
Speaker 4 (01:17:53):
Yeah, I would think that's better.
Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:17:55):
And by the way, Baker Mayfield's two forty eight and
a half. Guys at bet MGM, I'm just trying to
let your.
Speaker 5 (01:17:59):
Eyes you know, Okay, I've got one circle for tomorrow night.
I think this is a kitchen sink situation for the
Washington Commanders, right throwing everything and the kitchen sink at
the Chiefs. They don't have their quarterback, Jaden Daniels. I'm
gonna go with Deebo Samuel over five and a half
rushing yards. I think they give him the rock at
(01:18:20):
least once, maybe a couple of times. He might just
need one carry to get over five and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:18:26):
So I listen.
Speaker 5 (01:18:28):
I know he's back from injury, and you might think, oh,
I don't know if they're gonna use him. He's running routes, Okay,
he's out there, he's playing. I think they're going to
utilize him in the running game as well. I'll take
over five and a half rushing yards for mister Debo
over there.
Speaker 3 (01:18:42):
That's what I have for you very quickly here to
the Jets just announced that Nick Ningle passed away. Oh wow,
and he's a peer of mind twenty at the same
time in the NFL. Yeah, he had a kidney disease and
he actually asked for kidney right a couple weeks ago.
And so it's just sad man like he's forty one,
(01:19:04):
I'm I'm thirty nine.
Speaker 2 (01:19:06):
Yeah, and great player, too.
Speaker 3 (01:19:09):
Awesome player. I've been able to hang out with him
a couple of times at some events and just an awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:19:13):
Dude, like he seems like, yeah, yeah, a good.
Speaker 3 (01:19:16):
Person, Like just a good person man, very very sad.
Speaker 4 (01:19:20):
He made an appeal for kidney, talked about it.
Speaker 3 (01:19:24):
It's just like you know when people, I think we
generally feel like a mortal, like we always feel like
nothing's gonna happen to us, you know, sure, And maybe
that's an athlete thing. I don't know, Maybe people fear
about you, but like when someone in your peer group
passes like he's forty one, I'm thirty.
Speaker 4 (01:19:40):
Nine, right, Yeah, you have that far away at home.
Speaker 3 (01:19:44):
It's kind of like it was very sobering, you.
Speaker 2 (01:19:46):
Know, terrible, very sad.
Speaker 5 (01:19:49):
But you know, like you said, great dude, great career,
and a lot of people will remember him finally, Like
no one's gonna live forever, right, so when you do
pass away, you hope people remember you finally like they
will Nick Mangold.
Speaker 4 (01:20:03):
You know, So.
Speaker 5 (01:20:06):
That's the best I can do for a silver lining,
but very sad story.
Speaker 4 (01:20:09):
He lived in New Jersey, North Jersey.
Speaker 12 (01:20:11):
That's really said sad story they've seen as child and
the kid, oh boy, and Jeff, you know, Jeff can
really relate to being that age and just seeing it
almost like a shock.
Speaker 5 (01:20:22):
Of course it is, absolutely but I'm glad you mentioned
that though Jeff, I thought Jack Prairis is good. Yeah,
all right, coming up next, can you back this team
in spite of its horrible defense?
Speaker 3 (01:20:35):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:20:35):
What is going on? Happy week eight to you?
Speaker 5 (01:20:38):
We get back to the football previews here momentarily.
Speaker 4 (01:20:41):
Hey.
Speaker 5 (01:20:42):
During the MLB postseason, Strauss made history as the first

Gear up today at Strauss dot com, s t R
A U S S dot Cal. You know a little
bit of World Series love here with the Dodgers. Evening
(01:21:04):
the series, Yamamoto was spectacular. Another complete game. It's like
DJ Khalid over here, another one. He's been electric and
you gotta go way back. I was seeing the stats
or back to back complete games in the postseason. It's
insane what he's been able to do. You gotta go, uh,
you gotta go back to Kurt Shilling. He was the
(01:21:27):
last time that was the first one with consecutive complete
games in the postseason.
Speaker 2 (01:21:32):
That was Kurt Shilling in OH one.
Speaker 5 (01:21:34):
And the last time a Dodger had done it that
was orl Herscheiser in nineteen eighty eight. We're talking about
back to back complete games. So that's where Yamamoto is
right now. That's the territory he's in.
Speaker 2 (01:21:46):
Crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:21:47):
Was the last World Series complete game? Massive Bubgudner, I
think was the last one? Correct?
Speaker 5 (01:21:51):
I think it was No, I think it's Johnny Quato.
I think in twenty fifteen it was Cueto.
Speaker 3 (01:21:55):
Oh yeah, nice, yeah, look, uh, I was good to
back Toronto. I also hate the Dodgers, so I have
to make sure that I don't wager with my with
my uh, with my heart here. Look, Game one was
fantastic for the Blue Jays. The thing about baseball, it's crazy,
is like you win eleven of four, you win one nothing,
it's the same thing, right, you win the game. And
so Blue just have to just get one in l A.
(01:22:18):
And the way they play, with their ability to uh
to hit the ball, make you have big hits. And
one thing that they do really well is they see
a lot of pitches. If you get the Dodgers' bullpen,
that's that's your chance, that's your chance. And so they
can do that continuing through the series. They have a chance.
(01:22:39):
They do. Dodgers have not scored a ton of runs
so far in the series, and I thought they would
they would do more of that if they haven't, and
the Blo's gotta take.
Speaker 4 (01:22:48):
That they got.
Speaker 3 (01:22:49):
They got a long flight. This is a crazy Toronto
La is a long way. It's a long way to
go between the series. So it's been good. It's been
fun to watch. And unlike another league that we like
to watch, Brian, they don't play on Sunday, because why
would you play in the NFL Sunday So smarter than
to play Friday and Saturday.
Speaker 6 (01:23:06):
Right, they're a glass now almost two to one favorite.
On tomorrow night's game Game three, the series is back
to two sixty. I was pretty surprised to see the
series go up so high again, back to the original
price after Toronto beat them handily and game one. So
(01:23:27):
to see that price actually surprised me a little bit.
But I realized that they're you know, one ninety one
ninety five favorite tomorrow night, you're never gonna see. I
know it's an older mad Max sures er. I get it,
but when do you ever see that plus like one
seventy five. You're not going to see mad Max plus
that too often.
Speaker 3 (01:23:47):
What is Alts at right now? What is I'm sure's
what is Alts saying?
Speaker 4 (01:23:51):
Oh yeah, interesting market?
Speaker 3 (01:23:53):
Yeah, I guess fourteen and a half, somewhere around five innings,
I guess. I'm curious how long they let him go
now we're fairy famously what last game he like cost it?
The manager right, they got him, let him a little
bit longer. I'm in the world series.
Speaker 5 (01:24:08):
Yeah, I know with this is two different colored eyes.
You know, I love how the manager was talking about that.
But yeah, yeah, well, hey, let me shift it over
back to ball on you here Cowboys at the Broncos. Yeah,
Denver favored by three and a half. Now I did
mention going to break last hour? Can you back this
team in spite of its horrible defense? That would be
(01:24:30):
the Dallas Cowboys, right, horrible defense, but their offense has
been electric. Yeah, going up against Denver is going to
be very tough. We know what they bring to the
table defensively, but they were not on their game last
week against the Giants at all. What do you think
about three in the hook? Possibly with the Cowboys in
(01:24:51):
this spot here, Jeff.
Speaker 3 (01:24:52):
The Cowboys a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:24:53):
I do too, spot.
Speaker 3 (01:24:54):
Yeah, here's so here's Denver. When you watch them play,
they call plays like they're terrified of their quarterback and
that that worries me. When you watch them play that
game against the Giants last I tweeted out, I mean,
obviously I'm a little mocking tone, but I'm like, do
they practice during the week at all? Like, what is
(01:25:15):
this offense? What are they doing in this offense right now?
And then all of a sudden when it was like
time to make plays and they had to make plays,
all of a sudden, those plays are there to be made,
but they also scored a touchdown where the Giants tipped
the pass that went through the someone's hands. So Giants
also scored that way too, by the way the ball
went through it Broncos receiver's hands. So I the Cowboys
(01:25:41):
offense with Dak Prescott over the years when he is healthy,
has been really good. There's no denying that. And I
think they're gonna score points in this game. How does
deniver emotionally? I always talk about that like the losing team,
but like, how do they handle winning that way? Do
they use it as motivation to use it as Okay,
we got to figure outing out here. Uh And I
(01:26:02):
just crack. I am concerned that Sean Payton just doesn't
believe in bout nickt the way he calls that game.
And how can you back a quarterback that a team
doesn't believe in?
Speaker 4 (01:26:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:26:14):
Yeah, this game is between two of the top units
on the respective sides of the ball. Here, the Cowboys
offense has been pretty much it's hard to believe. I'm
going to say the word unstoppable, but that's it. That's
what the Cowboys have been all season. Dak's been playing
the best football of his career and now as cde
Lamback who's put up one hundred and ten yards and
a touchdown versus Washington last week.
Speaker 4 (01:26:36):
Now you go to the other side.
Speaker 6 (01:26:37):
Denver's defense has been pretty good this season, almost to
the point of great. Besides this giant game, I guess
as they led the league, and they lead the league
right now both sacks and quarterback pressure rate. Dak's biggest
test of the season is going to be here. The
Broncos should have him on the move today, so I'm
(01:26:58):
actually excited to watch this one today in a classic
top offense first defense matchup here, I think.
Speaker 5 (01:27:04):
Joe Burrow last year is Dak Prescott this year.
Speaker 2 (01:27:08):
I think that's the level Dak is playing.
Speaker 3 (01:27:12):
But team stings.
Speaker 2 (01:27:13):
That's right, no defense. They're gonna be an average team.
Speaker 5 (01:27:15):
He's not gonna be close to winning MVP, even though
he's putting up MVP numbers. I think that's exactly where
we are. He's throwing three touchdown passes and no interceptions
in four straight games. He's been playing great football, and
the team is three three to one.
Speaker 2 (01:27:31):
You know their defense is terrible.
Speaker 5 (01:27:33):
But here's the thing too, is man, you look at
bow Knicks, do you realize we live in a world
this season where Spencer Rattler has a higher passer rating
than bow Knicks.
Speaker 3 (01:27:42):
Yeah, huh. Can we also not make Spencer Raller like
do this thing that media is gas lighting into believing
that he's like a franchise quarterback. They're doing that this
week where I'm I'm I'm listening to people I trust
or like Spencer rawler Man, he's no, no, no, who
was you starting over right now? Someone throughout ask the
other day too? Okay, one quarterback, Like, let's not make
(01:28:06):
this a thing. But again, I think it's worth mentioning
this instance to your point about bo Nicks, Like I
I just don't believe in what they're doing with him.
It doesn't feel like they believe what they're doing with him.
So h they don't believe that? Why why should we
believe it? Why should we believe it? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:28:21):
Uh, I know we'll get back to the previews here
in a second, But I know you wanted to say
a couple of things about the Vikings, Jeff. What's on
your mind as far as they go?
Speaker 8 (01:28:30):
Not?
Speaker 3 (01:28:31):
Okay? So do they do they trust McCarthy? Like, why
is he not back yet? What's happening there? Like I
it's concerning. You know, they had to let Donald go.
I think we all agree on that after what happened
last year and then drafting McCarthy. But this team, like,
I know they're injured, I know they're beat up, but
(01:28:53):
their schedule, guys, they're I don't know what to know
on the on the no playoffs is right now, I
probably pretty heavy, but their schedule is really concerning, and
it feels like a completely lost season for them. But
then I have the questions like where's McCarthy at, Why?
Why is not ready to play it? So it's Lions, Ravens, Bears, Packers, Commanders, Cowboys,
(01:29:15):
and they end with Lions Packers Like they're gonna end
up with six wins at this rate?
Speaker 4 (01:29:19):
No is minus fourteen to one? Wow?
Speaker 3 (01:29:22):
All that? Yeah, I'm not I mean, have you seen
him player like that?
Speaker 4 (01:29:25):
That's not minus fourteen to one.
Speaker 3 (01:29:27):
I'm not laying that obviously, But it does feel like
this is a very lost season for them and they're
gonna end going to next season. We're not knowing anything
about McCarthy whatsoever. And that's their only goal this year
was to figure out if McCarthy was their guy or not.
Speaker 7 (01:29:42):
Crazy do you guys think, sorry, do you guys think
the worst thing that could have probably happened for all
of this for the Vikings McCarthy is that one quarter
he had that let them win over the Bears, Because
I don't think.
Speaker 2 (01:29:54):
If they won that game, any of this would be
a question.
Speaker 7 (01:29:57):
We would all be out on JJ McCarthy and everyone
would knowledge. The benching is probably good to give him
time to get right again.
Speaker 3 (01:30:04):
We just don't know. He's not playing any football. How
do we know what McCarthy is. He's got to play
for us to evaluate him. He hasn't played it all,
so it's unfair to even have any opinion about him
until he gets six, eight, ten games under his belt.
He hasn't played at all.
Speaker 5 (01:30:16):
Yeah, I think if it was eight bad quarters instead
of seven bad quarters, right, we still, to Jeff's point,
we still wouldn't know enough to be a ads move
on from this top ten pick. You just need a
lot more information than what we have. What's he missed?
What's the number he's missed, like twenty five of twenty
seven games something.
Speaker 2 (01:30:33):
Like that so far. Yeah, he's not healthy, don't know, so.
Speaker 3 (01:30:38):
We just don't know what he is. So it's hard
to even make a judgment on him.
Speaker 5 (01:30:40):
Yeah, no doubt. Let me stink one more in on
you real fast. Bill's at the Panthers. The Bill's favored
by seven on the road here, they're trying to avoid
a three game losing streak Buffalo. Immediately you think, hey,
crank up, James Cook, get that running game going. Carolina
has been a lot better defensively. If you look at
what they've done rush, it's been good. Yeah, Derek Brown's
(01:31:03):
been fantastic. They're eighth against the rush, their tenth against
the pass in terms of yards per game in those categories,
so at least more respectable from the Panthers here.
Speaker 3 (01:31:14):
Yeah, I haven't looked at the Bills and actives yet.
Is Milano playing today? That's a big that's a big
difference for this team. If he's in the line up,
you feel better about them. But Bernard, I know, is
out for this week. They just they can't they just
can't stop the run. And Jonathan Taylor has been great
as we know for the Cult. You know in the
(01:31:35):
second best running game has been over the Carolina Panthers.
Speaker 5 (01:31:37):
It's right, they've run the ball really well, and the
Bills can't stop the rush, and so.
Speaker 3 (01:31:43):
If I mean, look, actually I probably should lok at
the anactives for Buffalo.
Speaker 6 (01:31:46):
I want to tell you nobody knows that. Nobody knows Carolina.
No one's even putting that in the any equation.
Speaker 4 (01:31:51):
That's it. We all just think of Carolina is stinking.
Speaker 3 (01:31:56):
So that means that that means that that Bernard is
playing this weekend or did Bernard go on to injured reserve.
I do look at this because Bernard was not scheduled
to play much either. Maybe he is playing today. But
the fact is when Milano's out, just him alone, this
team is not good on defense. They not go to
the defense. Deay Kwon Jones is out as well. Right,
(01:32:19):
they have a hand is on injured reserve right now.
I thin't Cann's gona run the ball right at him.
Darlan's playing today, which is fine. I don't know that
changes very much. I like Panthers plus seven and a
half in this spot. They're playing better football like they
This is the first time they'd been over five hundred
October since October of twenty one.
Speaker 4 (01:32:41):
Wow. Wow, well just a few weeks ago.
Speaker 6 (01:32:43):
Bill's sitting at four and Zho the consensus favorite to
win the Super Bowl almost I think every sports book.
Speaker 3 (01:32:50):
Yeah, so Bernard is active today, by the way, So okay,
he was. That's funny how that. But it looked like
this with Milana was gonna play and he wasn't gonna play.
They flipped.
Speaker 4 (01:33:00):
Anyway, So all right, so let me just let me
let me finish here. Over.
Speaker 6 (01:33:03):
I know it's over mister Schwartz's neighborhood this game, right,
They've they've now lost to in a row.
Speaker 4 (01:33:10):
I'm talking about the Bills now.
Speaker 6 (01:33:11):
They really need this win versus Carolina Panthers look like
one of the worst teams in the NFL the first month,
but I have now won three games in a row, sit
A four and three. So it just looks it looks.
It also looks like Andy Dalton quarterback today, Bryce Young
listed as doubtful to play. The Bills defense will get
some much needed helpless wee because they get back a
(01:33:31):
couple of starters.
Speaker 4 (01:33:32):
Now.
Speaker 6 (01:33:33):
So these guys miss six games due to a violation
of performance enhancing drug policy. So three weeks ago, you
know what this line was when you look ahead, you
could bet to look aheadline. It was thirteen and a
half now it's kind of you know, seven seven and
a half. Well, the Bills, they have to bounce back
here and show they're a Super Bowl contender. But then again,
(01:33:53):
the Panthers are running hot here. This is going to
be an interesting one. Like I said over in mister
Schwartz's Neighbor.
Speaker 5 (01:34:00):
Yeah, Crack's talking about Michael Hoyt. The defensive end comes
back and Larry Ogunjobi.
Speaker 4 (01:34:06):
Ogunjobi, that's right, our guy.
Speaker 5 (01:34:08):
From used to play for the Browns. Yeah, he get
a little bit of D line jet bag always.
Speaker 6 (01:34:13):
Hey, the dog agrees. I like when the dog's on
the same side, foes on the dog, right, he's on
a dog. You gotta be on care that's right. But
uh yeah, so you get a little D line depth back.
But to Jeff's point, without Milano there, they're thirty first
against the rush. The Bills give up one hundred and
fifty six yards per game on the ground, and Dawdle's
(01:34:34):
gone crazy. You get the one two punch back with
Chewba Hubbard there. So if the Bills aren't stopping the rush,
I don't see how they're covering seven points in this one.
They gotta be able to slow down the rush.
Speaker 3 (01:34:46):
Huh, mister, now it doesn't barkhole?
Speaker 4 (01:34:50):
Is he okay? Let me ask you a question.
Speaker 6 (01:34:52):
So if I come over to that neighborhood there and
start knocking on the windows, is he getting me?
Speaker 4 (01:34:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:34:57):
Yeah. My kids just got ba from Heber school and
he here's him. I probably in my office. Our cousin
came over, who's a Bills fan. They're gonna watch the
game in the house. And he just he's very looking.
He's just he's looking at me like, buddy, let me
let me out of your office and let me bo what
he wants to eat. Someone, let me bark at someone.
I would not. I came home Thursday night from New
(01:35:19):
York as I go to New York every week, and
I came home we had a flight delayed. I came
home after everyone was asleep, and I don't even go
to my bedroom without calling him first, like out of
the bedroom, because he will try. He's it's not very
fun to have him wow after you. I'm like, foe,
come here and I he barks very loudly, but he
knows this is me. But I'm not walking in my
room without especially when he's with the lulle and my wife.
Speaker 4 (01:35:42):
I am walking. I'm not doing that.
Speaker 3 (01:35:45):
So I call him out of the bedroom first. Good boy,
he's very he's very scary. He would bite me, but
he's very scary. Scary. Dude, Yeah you are.
Speaker 5 (01:35:53):
I could just picture you walking out of the bedroom
Fallah's So.
Speaker 3 (01:35:58):
I was like, I was like, buddy, come on, it's
me dude.
Speaker 2 (01:36:01):
Oh man, that's good.
Speaker 8 (01:36:02):
All right.
Speaker 5 (01:36:02):
We got Bill Krachenberger, professional sports handicapper, dog lover as well.
Speaker 2 (01:36:06):
Louis shout out to his dog.
Speaker 5 (01:36:08):
Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran, I'm Brian know all
season long. Bet MGM's offering you a second chance on

(01:36:29):
You might not like this team, but you might like
the spot a lot more. We'll tell you about that.
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by BETMGM.
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by

Speaker 2 (01:36:53):

makes the catch.
Speaker 11 (01:36:57):
Yo Shinobu Yamamodol complete and utter dominance yet again. Back
to back complete games in the postseason for the Dodgers
right hander, and this time he does so.
Speaker 4 (01:37:10):
On the road in the World Series.

Fellas we go to the Sunday night game, Packers at
the Steelers Steelers three point home dogs.
Speaker 2 (01:37:45):
Here total is forty five and a half.
Speaker 5 (01:37:48):
I mean, I get it. You might not love the Steelers.
Their defense hasn't been very good throughout this really this
entire season. But this spot, man, Mike Tomlin, it's like
death and Mike Tomlin as a home underdog here. You
gotta love the spot and Jeff, I know you and
Cracker all over this as well.
Speaker 3 (01:38:08):
It's just a classic spot that that Tomlin has done
so well in the past. You know when people count
the Seelers out when they don't believe that they can
do and win a certain game. And again I go
back to the idea that they didn't play well last week. Right,
at least defensively, the offense has been good. Offense been fine,
(01:38:30):
and and more importantly in this game, the where the Packers?
Why why would he be in the Packers that they're
They're not good right now. They're not a dark horse
with the NFC in any of those things. They're just
not They're not good right now. And so I uh yeah,
I'm I'm, I'm only I wouldn't be a series one tonight.
(01:38:51):
Again we have to ignore their awful uniforms are wearing tonight.
But besides that, crack a great spots abt Pittsburgh. It
had always been a great spot to Pittsburgh.
Speaker 6 (01:39:01):
Yeah, I was just looking at the current line. MGM
probably has one of the best lines plus three minus
fifteen on the Steelers, but we get another going for
prime time here. Everyone knows all the talk about this game,
Aaron Rodgers facing his former team, So Love has played
great replacing Rodgers has the Packers the top of the
NFC here for one and one. All the talk this
(01:39:22):
week has been about.
Speaker 4 (01:39:23):
The two quarterbacks. But I think it's going to be
one on the.
Speaker 6 (01:39:28):
Ground who can establish a better running game or more
consistent running game. So, like I said, I do have
an actual rare side. I'm planning to give it out
at the end too, But yeah, give me the three
with the Steelers.
Speaker 4 (01:39:41):
Are all three of us on it, all three of us, guys, Brian.
Speaker 2 (01:39:44):
Yeah, yeah, I'm on it.
Speaker 5 (01:39:45):
The one thing I'm glad you brought that up, though,
Crack is running the ball. Yeah, Steelers haven't been very good.
They're twenty sixth in rushing yards per game. How about
the Packers rush defense? Very overlooked, second in the NFL.
I think a lot of it is, Hey, Micah Parsons
the trade. They're rushing the quarterback. He had three sacks
last week. I think very quietly. The Packers are number
(01:40:07):
two in the in the entire league against the rush
this year.
Speaker 3 (01:40:12):
Totally interesting.
Speaker 4 (01:40:13):
Yeah, I didn't know either. Yeah, well all three of
us are on it. That can only mean one thing.
Speaker 5 (01:40:18):
Oh boy, right, I think this might surprise some people too. Crack,
what do you think you've got? The Steelers and the
Rams both averaged the same number of points per game.
They both score twenty five points per game, and you
think about that, like, we just don't.
Speaker 4 (01:40:33):
Think about the Steelers, right, like realm.
Speaker 5 (01:40:36):
Which offense has a better reputation? It's the Rams by miles.
But yeah, the Steelers are scoring the exact same number
of points per game.
Speaker 4 (01:40:45):
You know, it's rare too. This is one of those
teams that they have me perplexed all the time.
Speaker 6 (01:40:50):
To Steelers. I've talked about it in this space. I've
had season wins under a few years in a row,
and they always team to last year. Even though they
fell apart like I thought they were, they still beat
me by half a game at the end of the year. So, Uh,
let's see if Rogers can can step up here in
this situation. And I think he's got to be uh
(01:41:11):
you know, imagine what the people there are feeling. Uh
kind of both ways for him. There's gonna be Rogers
haters in the crowd. Of course, and it's going to
be uh in the you know, I mean both ways. No,
I know their home, I know the home I'm saying,
but you know, you think about But I know there's
people that absolutely hate hate Rogers, though he takes more
(01:41:31):
stuff in the media because of his big mouth and
some of the things he gets involved in. Like I
know Steelers fans, I know guys that hate him. I
was reading some things about how they always knew they
were going to get him as a quarterback, but he
had to come in last late, uh to the to
training camp.
Speaker 4 (01:41:46):
I don't know did he come in actually late.
Speaker 6 (01:41:48):
I know he signed late, but I think he came
in preseason though I think he came in before preseason.
But anyway, so anyway, green Bay coming there tonight. It'll
be an interesting situation though both ways. Did what the
Green Bay guys are feeling too, you know, trying to love,
trying to show up and say, hey, I'm the guy
that took over this team and I could beat you.
(01:42:08):
Aaron Rodgers think it's gonna be uh. I think it'll
be a real tight game and I'm hoping the points
with the points we can get there.
Speaker 3 (01:42:15):
I just gat back to Jordan Love thing like it's
I just I watch him play and I'm just just
feel unremarkable. You just want to pay You're like, oh,
I mean some good, some bad, not like I don't know, man, right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:42:31):
I agree with you. Know it's weird.
Speaker 5 (01:42:33):
And I look at his numbers and I'm like, man,
his numbers are way better than how I feel about him. Yeah,
cause I get the same sense if you look at
his numbers. He's throwing ten touchdowns in two picks. That's
pretty good. His passer ratings at one oh eight, his
completion percentage is sixty nine percent. He averages like two
thirty nine passing yards per game that ranks eleventh in
the league. Like, those are all respectable numbers, but there's
(01:42:56):
something about watching him where I'm like, yeah, it just
as a Shoulders, It's like, eah, okay, it doesn't like
wow you at all really correct?
Speaker 3 (01:43:05):
Yeah, And that's why I think it's like You're like,
and that's well again tonight. Like I just like the
idea of the Steelers a little bit better.
Speaker 5 (01:43:14):
Yeah, and Rogers man fourteen touchdown passes five picks, a
brand new team, passer ratings at one to oh five.
Speaker 4 (01:43:22):
Yeah, yeah, it's strong.
Speaker 6 (01:43:24):
This article that came out last week that I was
referring to, I just found it's amazing after the year
he's having, how this could be this this eight for
you know, I guess it's just really this article was
just talking about to people that were just a little
bit mad maybe before these numbers came out. But then
again to let you guys know, also checking all the
(01:43:45):
lines here, the best lines at bet MGM. If you're
like the Steelers plus three minus fifteen, I'm seeing a
lot of plus three minus twenties, plus three minus twenty two,
so a couple two and a half's out here in Vegas.
Speaker 5 (01:43:57):
It's kind of weird track, right you think about the
quarterbacks that have come before Rogers. It's been lean for
a lot of years for the Black and Gold or
Rodgers got there, which is odd that there's this, I
don't know, like negative feeling toward the guy. You know,
I thought they'd be running naked in the streets for
a one to five this article.
Speaker 6 (01:44:17):
The more I put some politics in it, I'm saying
at the end of the article, but it could be
the guy that wrote it.
Speaker 2 (01:44:24):
So yeah, I got you.
Speaker 5 (01:44:26):
Well, Craig, you mentioned, We'll see if Rodgers can step up.
We'll see if Isaac Loewenkron can step up. And the
smart money, the sharp money, is on a resounding yes,
he's got the latest for us right now.
Speaker 10 (01:44:38):
Well, speaking of stepping on, let's actually start with something
that's just happened to the biggest soccer game globally right now,
Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. Real Madrid holding on to
a two to one lead over FC Barcelona in the
fifty second minute, but moments ago Real Madrid superstar Killian
and Bope was stopped on a penalty kick, and Bope
actually scored a goal earlier than previously had a goal
(01:45:01):
disallowed by var So we had a chance for a
hat trick in this match, but it remains two to
one Real Madrid over FC Barcelona now in the fifty
third minute, after Embappe moments ago.
Speaker 2 (01:45:12):
Was stopped on a penalty kick.
Speaker 10 (01:45:15):
Sad news today from the National Football League.
Speaker 2 (01:45:18):
Former New York Jets seven time Pro.
Speaker 10 (01:45:20):
Bowl center Nick Mangold passed away on Saturday night due
to complications from kidney disease. Mangold was diagnosed with kidney
disease back in two thousand and six that was caused
by a genetic condition. Nick Mangold was forty one years old.
Atlanta Falcons receiver Drake London inactive for their game today
against the Miami Dolphins because of a hip injury. Dolphins
(01:45:43):
quarterback to At Tunga i Looa is active. Dolphins added
toungua Ilo to their injury report this morning due to illness,
but say he is still expected to start today.
Speaker 2 (01:45:54):
Cleveland Brown's backup quarterbacks Straduer.
Speaker 10 (01:45:56):
Sanders inactive for their game at New England because of
a injury. Browns tight end David and najok who is active.
He'd been questionable with a knee inrey. Cincinnati Bengals guard
Dalton Reisner is active for their game today against the Judge.
The Bengals added Reisner to their injury report.
Speaker 2 (01:46:13):
This morning due to illness. Guys, back to you, Thank you,
I Low.
Speaker 5 (01:46:17):

How about tomorrow night? Monday Night?
Speaker 5 (01:46:50):
Commanders at the Chiefs case now minus eleven and a
half and no Jayden Daniels for Washington. He's got a
I love this a low grade hamstring strain, which sounds like,
well he might be playing. He's not playing, so take
low grade for whatever that means. But he shouldn't miss
extensive time. But he will miss tomorrow night as Casey man.
(01:47:14):
Their offense is starting to hit its stride. Rashi Rice's back.
What they did to the Raiders last week week should
be banned. They had thirty first downs. The Raiders ran
thirty plays. That's unbelievable right there, it's an NFL game.
Speaker 3 (01:47:30):
I think two of those plays were actually run by
the Raiders. After the Chiefs knelt with less than two kids.
Speaker 2 (01:47:40):
They picked up two first downs.
Speaker 4 (01:47:41):
After that, oh well, two.
Speaker 3 (01:47:43):
Plays they ran after that oh got yeah, Yeah, it's yeah.
Chiefs are playing goodball. Lots of companies haven't covered these
big spreads, so they can't score. Yeah, and I'm not
saying you backed them here, but their defense is sort
of figure things out. The more we've seen backup quarterbacks
(01:48:06):
have to play the worst they've been this season, which
is a kind of a point to maybe not backing
Mariota here. I mean, I'm not I'm not betting on
this game, but I just think that it's certainly possible
the Chiefs will win this game by a lot. I mean,
it's just the way they're the way they're playing right now.
The only thing I will say about why you one
reason you shouldn't back the Chiefs. They get Buffalo next
(01:48:28):
week and mont in the NFL has look ahead spots,
as I don't think it does, but if it ever
was one, it'd be this one. So worth noting that.
You know that that's part of I think some of
the you know, the mindset of Kansas City this week
of like let's just get out here with the winning
get ready to play the Bills next week. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:48:46):
Fantastic point that look ahead against a key opponent like
Buffalo can definitely be in the mix here case he's
back to looking like the Super Bowl contender for sure.
Speaker 4 (01:48:58):
Mariota.
Speaker 6 (01:48:59):
He's behind the center there for Washington. So it does
seem like another Chiefs win. But you know, like we know,
anything can happen in the NFL, especially Monday night. Here,
eleven and a half, I think, yeah, BETMGM is eleven
and a half. Eleven and a half on this game,
And boy, I tell you, this is one of those
games where I'm seeing, like some of the sharp sports
(01:49:21):
books they had, like thirteen twelve, there was like twelve
and a half's on this and even at thirteen they're
down to eleven two. So there's some dog money coming
in here. So you know, Jeff may have a point there.
This could be you know, looking forward to you know,
looking to next week's game, so we'll see what happens.
Speaker 5 (01:49:37):
I do like that as a T shirt or a
license plate. What do you think crack dog money? What
do you think dog money?
Speaker 3 (01:49:43):
I kind of like that, right. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:49:46):
And by the way, Jeff, you talked about the Chiefs
offensive firepower is a great stat So if you look
at the Chiefs last year, twenty games including the playoffs,
they scored thirteen plus points three times this season. They've
already done it four times. Yeah, that that's a lot
more firepower that they have.
Speaker 3 (01:50:05):
Yeah, they're without I believe the right guard. Tray's not
gonna play in this game. And Josh Shimman is just
still out. So but they have Jaalen Morris for then
well left tackle. I mean Simmons sounds like he's going
to be back soon. That's what the seem like the
newest report was going to be. Obviously there's some you
know fan he's reason away for a way for for
family issues. But they've held a four down and Mahomes
(01:50:26):
look good. I mean, you know, Mahomes didn't even play
in the fourth quarter. Like they got a stat padded
him for the high for the Heisman for the m
v P if they wanted to, and yeah, they just
chose to not do that. Just get him, you know,
make sure I'm taking any extra hits.
Speaker 5 (01:50:40):
You know, I just had a stupid thought where you like,
diego Pavia last week, how he did the Heisman pose?
Like what what do you do as an MVP candidate,
Like what's the trophy? Do you just kind of stand
what is the Trophy for the m v P.
Speaker 3 (01:50:53):
What does it look like? Don't they change it every
I think it's got I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:50:58):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:50:58):
It looks like.
Speaker 5 (01:50:58):
I don't know what it looks like. I know the
Walter Payton Man of the Year. Right, do you have
that little logo on your jersey?
Speaker 4 (01:51:05):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:51:06):
I don't know the mv what do you do? What's
the MVP pose? We need to have that we we.
Speaker 3 (01:51:11):
Should find that it's a good it's a good. Yeah.
I don't know what MVP pose is, but mahomes right now. Actually,
so you guys, you're gonna think this is something that
I normally don't do. But I'm gonna tell you this
something I did this week. I took Jonathan Taylor whin
an MVP sixty to one.
Speaker 4 (01:51:24):
Okay, And.
Speaker 3 (01:51:27):
It's a take a running back to win MVP is obviously,
and then I don't really ever do. But my reasoning
is quite simple. So the MVP typically is the quarterback
of the one seed. All right, that's what it's been
over the years. Well, right now, you know the culture
obviously in that line to have the one seed, and look,
Mahomes mayory not win MVP. I don't know, but if
you're giving to someone in Indianapolis, right it's Jonathan Taylor,
(01:51:50):
who right now is lean the NFL and a lot
of things, and he's on pace to break the record
for most touchdowns in the season by running back, And
the running backs that win this award in this century
have all sort of broken a record. Got something incredible.
Chan Xandder had eighteen hundred yards and lt had the
most touchdowns. Major Peterson had a nine yards of ericicers
like they do something really elite, and sixty to one
(01:52:14):
for the running back on the one seed.
Speaker 4 (01:52:16):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:52:16):
I thought it wasn't the worst way to drive made.
Speaker 5 (01:52:19):
I think it's worth a flyer, you know, I get
everything that you broke down right there, and it's sixty
to one.
Speaker 2 (01:52:24):
It's not you know, like four to one, you know,
like yeah, so.
Speaker 3 (01:52:27):
We'll say, yeah, Peanut, I have a much larger I
have a Mahomes ticket, So I'm I think I fucking
covered on sort of already have that in pocket. At
seven and a half to one.
Speaker 2 (01:52:36):
There you go for the season and you ripped up
your two a ticket.
Speaker 3 (01:52:39):
Right, Yeah, unfortunately I did. Yeah, yeah, sorry, I thought
I get home but it just not gonna get home, Brian.
Speaker 2 (01:52:44):
Not gonna get there. Not quiet all right.
Speaker 5 (01:52:46):
We got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran, I'm Brian.

Let's do it five games against the spread.
Speaker 4 (01:54:08):
We call it, call it the crack Challenge.
Speaker 2 (01:54:12):
Alrighty Jeff, we start with you.
Speaker 8 (01:54:13):
What do you like?
Speaker 3 (01:54:14):
All right? See these books are sneaky, right because ben
Gym right now has Giants plus seven plus one hundred
plus seven and a half minus one thirty.
Speaker 4 (01:54:24):
Uh huh.
Speaker 3 (01:54:25):
Now for the purposes of this of this, what do
I I don't know what I do. I know we're
not we're not taking we're not.
Speaker 6 (01:54:32):
I mean, I gotta go pick seven there, buddy, Yeah yeah,
Oh jeez, Okay, march Grater like he's the teacher like
marking in red do bet so?
Speaker 3 (01:54:45):
Uh okay, let's so New York Giants, Okay done. I
like the Panthers, so that's uh, there're plus seven as well. Yep,
it's called the Steeler. I know the Steelers. I like
Steelers plus three. I can't spell Steelers are running down
plus three? Okay, give me the I can't spell it.
(01:55:07):
Give me Atlanta minus seven. Okay, I need one more, right,
you know what? Uh oh, this is a gross game, though,
but I can.
Speaker 4 (01:55:18):
I can.
Speaker 3 (01:55:18):
I think the Saints kind of go that far?
Speaker 4 (01:55:19):
Can I can? I do it?
Speaker 3 (01:55:22):
The thing's are the play though, jeez oh, give me
the same. Yeah, I'll do Stants plus three and a half.
We haven't talked about. I think Sants pust three and
a half is the way to.
Speaker 5 (01:55:29):
Go a little who dad, Okay, all right, all right,
I've got uh I've got five picks for you.
Speaker 2 (01:55:36):
Let's go through them.
Speaker 5 (01:55:36):
I'm gonna go with the Cowboys. You left them out, Jeff,
how about that? Yeah, I'll take the three and a half.
Give me the Steelers. I'm with you on that plus three.
Hopefully all three of us being on it. It doesn't
spell doom and gloom for us, Jeff, I hope it
works out. Give me the Bears. I'll take the two
and a half. I just I know the Ravens are desperate.
I don't care their defense sucks. I don't think Stup
(01:56:00):
Huntley's going to light it on fire. Caleb Williams a
better quarterback playing against the worst defense. I'll take the
two and a half. I'm going to actually lay it
with the Patriots minus seven. I respect Cleveland's defense, but
I just don't think Cleveland's going to have a whole
lot of offense in this one. I really like the
pats defense, so I'll lay it. And then the last one.
(01:56:21):
I don't love laying all these points, but I took
three dogs to begin with. I'm laying it with the Bengals. Man, No,
Sauce Gardner, he's out against Jamar Chase.
Speaker 2 (01:56:31):
Good luck.
Speaker 5 (01:56:33):
Like you're supposed to match points with justin fields that
I just don't see it. Man, I'll take the Bengals,
even though I don't love their defense minus five and
a half. There you go, all right, we got some
rapid fire plays.
Speaker 2 (01:56:43):
Let's do this.
Speaker 4 (01:56:47):
Rapid fire.
Speaker 2 (01:56:49):
All right, crack, we start with you with something you like.
Speaker 6 (01:56:52):
Let's start out with the Browns. Judkins under his rushing
yard sixty seven and a half. It's going to be
a really tough matchup against the Patriots. D Like you said,
there I think that in order the Browns to get
this game done, it's gonna make some short underneath passes,
so I think they should. I think I like the
under in the rushing yards. I don't think they're gonna
go to him as much so under rushing yard Dumkins, Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:57:14):
I gotta go to the ball right here. I like
justin fields. I mean, he's gonna play in this game.
He's not leaving right because the Tyrod Taylor's he's hurt, right, So, like,
there's no like leaving this game. Over forty three and
a half rushing yards. I think Dass likes this game.
He's gonna play all game, and there's opportunity for this
if he gets to play the entire sixty minutes.
Speaker 2 (01:57:31):
All right, I'd like that idea right there.
Speaker 5 (01:57:34):
Yeah, give me Jonathan Taylor your MVP ticket over there,
jeff give me a jt his longest rush. I'll take
over nineteen and a half against the Titans. No, Jeffrey Simmons,
I like that one, like you gotta banged up bad
Titans defense. Jonathan Taylor has been fantastic.
Speaker 4 (01:57:54):
What a season.
Speaker 2 (01:57:55):
I think he breaks one.
Speaker 5 (01:57:57):
I see him in my head breaking like a forty
five yard rush, you know, so to get to a
twenty yard rush, I do think that happens. I'll take
Jonathan Taylor his longest rush prop. All right, let's do practice.
Speaker 2 (01:58:08):
Play the day.
Speaker 1 (01:58:13):
This is the best play of the day.
Speaker 2 (01:58:18):
All right, crack, what do you have for us, buddy?
Speaker 4 (01:58:20):
I'm a team player.
Speaker 6 (01:58:21):
Early in the game, early in the show, Jeff gave
out the Steelers, I wanted to give it at them.
Speaker 4 (01:58:25):
I'll give it out now.
Speaker 6 (01:58:26):
All three of us are on the Steelers, like, yeah,
it's it's it's the public loves to bet side, so
we'll give them a little play on a side here.
Of course I do bet more on my NFL player props,
but at least we go down as did you ever
see that line? You ever see the movie The Untouchables
when in there, you know in the of course al
capone their teamwork, teamwork. See what happens when the team
(01:58:49):
work with the baseball bat. We don't want to get
batted on the head. We're all on the same team here. Now, Jeff,
you'll watch the game with the family there and in Carolina,
you said you guys are gonna watch the outside.
Speaker 3 (01:59:00):
We have everyone Sunday's family everyone over the house every
Sunday to watch football. And so our cousin, my wife's cousin.
They're Bills fans. So they're they're here to watch the
Bills Panthers. Oh they're not.
Speaker 6 (01:59:13):
It's hard to get. It's hard to have any fans
at my house ever, because it's just tough.
Speaker 4 (01:59:19):
You know, you're betting one way and they're rooting. I know.
Speaker 6 (01:59:21):
I know an old school bookmaker that was from Philly.
I told you guys forty five years ago that's threw
his mother in law at the house because she was
rooting for the Eagles.
Speaker 4 (01:59:29):
He said, she's got to go. He told his wife,
she's got to get out of the house. I got
all action on them.
Speaker 3 (01:59:33):
Yeah, I don't, but I don't have it much. I
don't have I don't you know. I have the Panthers.
I man, I guess in the spot. But the Bills
can still win. The Panthers u't covered the hockey. Both,
that's true, both worlds.
Speaker 5 (01:59:41):
Hey, by the way, before we get out of here, crack,
how often do you tease totals?
Speaker 2 (01:59:45):
You tease people that.
Speaker 4 (01:59:46):
Zero the answer to zero. Never never tease a total.
Speaker 6 (01:59:48):
Interesting never, no way, there's some good, uh ending advice
for the show.
Speaker 2 (01:59:53):
Here you go.
Speaker 5 (01:59:54):
It's hey, crack, how about never? I love that the
stamp of disapproval. Right, all right, everybody, enjoy Week eight.
Hope it's a good one for you.
