Speaker 1 (00:00):
Please you're listening to Fox Sports Radio eleven. Dream once
again here on another fully loaded NFL Sunday, Week fourteen.
Here are the seven games, actually eight games kicking off
right now. Seahawks at the Falcons, Bengals at the Bills,
Titans at the Browns, Commanders at the Vikings, Dolphins at

(00:20):
the Jets, Saints of the Buccaneers, Colts at the Jaguars,
Steelers at the Ravens, and VJ. It is that time
around the National Football League. By the way, this is
the last week of byes and we have let's see,
while New England's out this week, Carolina is out this week,
so fourteens are out this week. Starting next week, everyone's
on equal playing field. We'll have four games to go

(00:43):
to wrap up what has been so far, VJ. One
of the craziest regular seasons we've seen a recent memory
in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I don't know if it's a crazy regular season or
we are at the changing of the guard in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
And I mentioned this for back to back weeks. We
could just be.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
At the changing of the guard of the NFL, because
you got teams that are stepping up now and that
are that are you know overperforming. You talk about the Bears,
you talk about the Broncos, you talk about the Patriots
where we're so used to and it being you know
all about of course, you know Pat Mahomes and and
and the and the Chiefs, and you know the consistency

(01:23):
of the Steelers, and then you the Eagles have been
the two of the three last uh Super Bowls. When
you really do turn and look around at the rest
of the NFL, it's it's this could really be a
changing of the guard. Look at the like with quarterbacks,
right like, who who's next? Every time we think we

(01:44):
got our finger on one, he goes down or.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Does not performed. We thought CJ.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Stroud was the pick of the litter two years ago.
Bryce Young finally is above five hundred, that five hundred
winning some games. Drake may start as slow. Kayla Williams
started to slow last year. Jayden Daiels had a blow
up rookie year, can't stay on the field this year.
So now there's question marks. I just think I don't
think it's a crazy season. I think this is real parody.
We have no idea who's gonna win this Super Bowl

(02:10):
this year, And there's a changing of the guard.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
There's some team, there's two guys that's.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Their last shot, like Lamar Jackson in my opinion, Lamar
Jackson and Josh Allen.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
They don't get it this year, Steve. That's it for them.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
So now we got to really look forward to the
next crop of young stars in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
All right. So you talk about young quarterbacks like Drake May,
like Caleb Williams that obviously have had phenomenal seasons to
guide their teams too. Currently the one seeds and the
respective conferences, and that's going to be the question mark
getting into the postseason, all right. So you know, I
look at the AFC right now, and the Chiefs need
a lot of help, a lot of help because remember

(02:47):
they already lost to Buffalo and they lost to Jacksonville,
so they're losing tie breaks all over the place. And
by the way, not obviously an easy game hosting the
Houston Texans with the number one defense in the nash
No Football League and the Chiefs are banged up on
their offensive line. I mean, this could be the absolute
nail on the coffin if they lose one more game,
and they could easily lose that game, they lose one

(03:09):
more game. That's it. That is their duneoff went out.
And so you know, if you take Kansas City out
of the mix, if the Ravens can't get into the postseason.
That's why I keep looking at Buffalo. Has Buffalo played
well this year? No, They've got a lot of problems.
But if you look at Josh Allen's resume in the
postseason minus Kansas City, who's lost to four times, he wins.

(03:33):
He wins in the postseason. And that's gonna be the question.
Will Drake May, Will Caleb Williams, wille Bownick, some of
these young quarterbacks, will they actually be able to duplicate
what they've done in the regular season in the postseason.
Usually there's sort of a learning curve, right you get
a little experience in the postseason. It's not impossible. We've
seen it before where young quarterback is just you know,

(03:55):
raced right through the playoffs. So it can happen, but
more often than not that will count in the postseason.
So this is why it's such an unknown factor right now.
Here's what we do know. As I said last week
of the Bys, after this week, everyone will have thirteen
games on their resume and then we got four more
weeks in this regular season. It is December in the

(04:16):
National Football League. Hey, one game I want to mention
right off the top. It might be the Marquee matchup,
certainly record wise. Today the Colts on the road against
the Jaguars. And what's so crazy about the Jaguars this year?
Sitting at eight and four is Trevor Lawrence. He's one
of the worst quarterbacks in the league this year. He
is actually completing less than sixty percent of its passes.

(04:38):
He's third in the league with eleven interceptions. He has
a lower passer rating than Geno Smith. He actually has
a worse passer rating than Geno Smith. Matter, and yet
the Jaguars are sitting at eight and four, and a
lot of people are like, wow, you know I like
the Colts today. Here's what I do know. Jaguars have

(04:59):
the No. One running defense in the league. And you're
going against Jonathan Taylor. If they can neutralize Jonathan Taylor,
and we know Daniel Jones is in one hundred percent.
These days, people were pounding the Colts early late money
was coming in on the Jackson Where do you stand
on that game? And where do you stand right now
on this Jacksonville Jaguars team in spite of the fact
that Lawrence statistically has not had a good year at all.

(05:23):
In fact, it's been a flat out bad year for him.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yeah, the record says, you know who you are, right,
So you're sitting at eight and four, so we can
point out all the stuff.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
What Lawrence isn't.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
What he is is the starting quarterback for a team
that's eight and four so and fighting for that division,
which nobody saw. I always give him a pass, or
not always, but this year I've given him quite a
pass because this first three or four years in the
league has just been it's been tough man, he's because
hes been through three coaches. One year is a complete
throwaway year with Urban Meyer yeh, which is one of
the worst NFL head coach and hires in the history

(05:54):
of the league. That you have to rebound from that,
and it takes a minute to rebound for that.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Hasn't had Travis Hunter. He was on ir and he.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Was banged up, and no one's really looking at Jacksonville
to do anything, and they're still continuously winning these games
and beating these teams that most people probably think that
they shouldn't be beating. They're four and two at home,
so they're at home today. I think they've already had
to punk this ball away and give it up to
Indianapolis already. So you do get a three and out

(06:24):
early three and out, they have to get rid of
that and then complete the pass on third and twelve.
But they got some inactives that they also too. Parker
Washington is out of the receiver, so that's gonna hurt
the passing game and hurt the receiving corps. But when
you go down this record, right, think about it. They
lost to the Rams, they lost to the Seahawks. They
did beat the Chiefs, but everybody's writing the Chiefs off.
They beat the Niners. We're not sure what the Niners about.

(06:45):
They lost to the Bengals. You know, if you remember
that game, they lost to the Bengals. They beat the Panthers,
and they're beating the Texans. So they've beat some teams
and the Raiders, and they beat the Raiders. But so
they've beat some teams that they you know, that gives
them quality wins and then you the one game that
you loved is win. They just land based at the charge. Oh, yeah,
so they've won some quality games. They're not beating up garbage,

(07:05):
they're beating up other plus five hundred wins teams.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
All right, two scorers on the board early, Actually a
third one just happened. Saints get the first score of
the game on the road against the Buccaneers. Buccaneers cannot
afford any losses so that they want to win that division.
So they're down seven to nothing early. Your Dolphins, yes,
off to an early seven to nothing lead on the
road against the powerful Jets. You are still holding out

(07:29):
hope that at ten and seven, if the Dolphins went
out they can somehow sneak in the postseason. They need
a lot of help for that to happen. And the
Vikings lost season. But they get an opening drive against
the Commanders and open this game your guy JJ McCarthy
four to four forty six yards, so it was a
touchdown pass to Oliver seven nothing Vikings. So you know, again,

(07:52):
this is that time of the year where you have
to question those teams that are out of it. Where's
their motivation? You know, are they gonna to come to
play going against teams that have to win? And I
think you know, used to be sort of those were
like gimmes. I don't think it's a gimme anymore I did.
There are no gimmes in this league. There are no
game if you don't show up to play, even if

(08:15):
you assume the other team has nothing to play. Look
what happened last week of the Bengals, right right, I
mean you figure out, well, the Bengals, I mean, what
are they playing for? Well, as it turned out, they
played their best game of the year. And by the way,
speaking of the Bengals, as they're on the road against
the Bills that game right now, and Bengals, by the way,
are driving down the field Joe Burrow on fire, heading
down the field. They actually still have a mathematical chance

(08:40):
in that week. Their division, they are at four and eight,
and we have we obviously have the big matchup going
on right now between the Steelers and the Ravens, both
city at six and six, so they're only two games back.
I mean, it's not a big percentage, but it's not zero.
And you know, again Ravens at home against the Steelers today,

(09:00):
j I mean, they've got to win this game. And
you know, I'm gonna have to concede the fact as
you know, I've been maintaining all year long that the
Steelers are gonna find a way up with that winning record.
But it's gonna be They're gonna have to pull an
upset somewhere.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
I told you guys back in August when Darreon Rodgers
got there, this was going to be he was gonna
burn this house down. This would be Mike Tomlin, and
it would not surprise me. And I don't think they'll
fire him. But Mike Tomlin, remember there were rumors he
wanted that Washington job, being from the DMV area before
they gave it to Dan Quinn. They were rumors that
was real. Mike Tomlin. It was on the table that

(09:38):
he might remember when he stormed out of that walked
out in the press conference when the reporter asked him
about it, that when coaches react like that, people where
they's smoke, there's fire. I if he finishes under five hundred,
it just could be time for a new voice, like
people think it's time for a voice in Baltimore, eighteen
nineteen years of the same coach, same voice, same message.
You've gone through at least two generations of players. When

(10:01):
you've been to coach at one place that long twenty years.
That's a lot of players you've been through, and times
change a lot also over that time. Man, I still
think they're gonna finish under five hundred, and Mike Timeline
might go to him and say, look, hey, re reset
this thing. Man, I've done my job here, but it's
you know, I might want a year off and go
do some TV before when these other NFL coaching job

(10:22):
opens up.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Well, one hundred percent, I agree, they're not gonna fire
Mike Tomlin. Okay, so they're not gonna fire. So it
might be one of those situations where he feels confident
that there's a job available to him, and there will
be multiple jobs out there, there's no question. Well every
year there's you know, no, it's a guarantee him to him. Yeah,
three teams that will want to interview me. At the

(10:42):
very least, he'll have multiple choice, right, and if he's
happy with that and feels like he's played out the
stree and again, they're gonna have to do a reset
a quarterback again next year. Aaron Rodgers will not be
the quarterback of the Steelers next year, so they have
to do another reset a quarterback and does he really
want to go through this reset qu quarterback year after
year after year. I don't think he wants to do that,

(11:03):
so I would agree with The Steelers will officially have
probably announced that Mike Tomlin and have had a mutual
partying of ways. I think it could come in, you know,
it was cool. I only if they end up with
a losing record, which again they have two games left
for the Ravens, one today one at the end of
the season. That pretty much should decide who's going to
come out on top of this AFC North. All right,

(11:24):
we're just getting started. Eight games around the NFL. We
got a lot of ground to cover today, folks. Also
a quick update on the college football playoff selections. There's
only one place to be for the scores, for the stats,
for the analysis for the breakdown UNI covering the National
Football League. By the way, touchdown Jaguars as they get

(11:45):
on thereboard first ETN and I've done, and the end
zone for that touchdown. So the Jaguars get on the
board first at home against the Colts. It's going to
be one of those days. Keep it right here. This
is end Zone Radio.

We've got scores in every game usually at this point,
right we still have at least one game that is scoreless.

(13:38):
But right now offenses are clicking. Bengals get that early
touchdown Joe Burrow on fire six to seven in the
opening drive Bills. They'll have a third down at the
Bengal four yard line that looks like a shootout. Titans
seven to nothing lead on the road against the Browns.
Can the Titans when they're second game? By the way,
in this game, Miles Garrett comes in to today three

(14:00):
and a half shacks shy of the NFL record. He'll
get the records just a matter of when. Commanders now
have a first and goal of the Vikings for four
yard line, trailing the Vikings seven nothing. Your Dolphins trying
to add to their elite right now. They're on fire
up seven nothing of the Jets first own of the
Jets thirteen yard line. Bucks tied up their game against

(14:22):
the Saints. Back and forth there, Colt's trying to get
something going there at the twenty one yard line of
the Jags down seven nothing and the Steelers now have
a fourth and one, and we're watching this right now.
As they try to get the first down, they do
the tush bush right there with their Rogers. It worked
big time. So right now they're knocking on the door,

(14:43):
trailing the Raiders Ravens by a score of reading nothing.
Oh that was a tight end. I thought, there's no way,
no way in hell, there's no way in hell. You Oh,
there we go. I saw the air, That's why I
saw me nothing. Okay that if you didn't see the formation.
So yeah, they had like this tight end. He just

(15:03):
plodded through. Rogers was on the field. He was standing
five yards behind the guy just sort of pointing, yeah,
he do not ding, he do not denon. Why was
he still in the game? An extra block? He didn't
want to come off the field throw it away?

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Probably not, and probably knowing Aaron Rodgers, that probably is.
And no, you're not gonna take me off the field.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Because I thought he might take a picture.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
He stood there, like really, and if you're the Ravens,
you have to know that's coug If he's just standing there,
then you know that's really it's ten on eleven.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
It's not eleven on the level? Why why would you
not put a walker on a fourth and one? Right?

Speaker 2 (15:39):
And if you're and if you're if you're honest, if
you had a Ravens, how do you let them pick
that up?

Speaker 1 (15:43):
By the way, it's ten on eleven gonna win that.
The thing that hesitates me from saying, yeah, Ravens at
home should beat the Steelers, who are not very good
right now, it's just the fact that Mike Tomlin's had
John Harbo's number. I mean, he knows how to beat
the Ravens. Even when there's no reason for the Steelers
to beat the Ravens. Tomlin Is had John harboss number.
Division game.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
It's a division game in games of like rivalry games
in college football. Don't tell me about the records, like,
don't tell me about the history. I'm today is different.
It's always gonna be different. And as we're watching the
coach right now, they have a third and one on
the three yard line trying to punch this bad boy
in and they get the first, not the touchdown, but
they did get the first. I'm not sure they're gonn

(16:22):
give him a touchdown on that one. But these division
games today, these division matchups, even though this but like
this Buffalo Bills in this Bengals game, it's not a
division game, but this is still two teams fighting for
playoff position.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
The Bengals can still somehow make the playoffs, all right.
So Aaron Rodgers on third and goal runs it in
for a touchdown, giving the Steelers six to three. League
waiting on the extra point. There that was the yeah,
he was. It was a little play action and there
was no one to throw, and so the old man said, okay,
I'm gonna have to give you up a little hard here,

(16:56):
and he did. Getting into the end zone. Colts trying
to get in right now to tie up this game,
and that is in the end zone. No, yeah, no,
there it is all right in by the way. Again,
the staff in favor of the Jaguars in this game
against the Colts with Jonathan Taylor is Jags have the
number one rushing defense in the National Football League, which

(17:18):
is the main reason why the Jaguars are sitting at
eight and four going in this game. Dolphins up fourteen nothing,
Dolphins up fourteen nothing, break up the Dolphins. Let me
ask you this, is it set in stone that there's
going to be a coaching change in Miami or the
firing of the general manager? Enough?

Speaker 2 (17:36):
No, they fired a general manager and they fired a
VP in the assist a VP of football. Okay, but
your your coach is saying he's safe. I've been telling
you guys this. I'm understand why you guys don't want
to listen to me. I've been telling you guys this,
I have I've talked to people down there. I covered
the NFL. I've talked to people down here who's been
telling me since day one. Ross does not want to
fire the coach because you're you're really just gonna reset.

(17:58):
Because if you fired a coach to bring another coach,
you know what you probably gotta.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Do move on from to it.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Well, and the question is that your franchise for at
least another three to five years unless you are you
getting Mendoza. No, you're not gonna draft that high. They're
gonna win eight or nine games. You're not gonna draft
that high. So you would have to actually trade up.
You would have to give some things up their move
pieces to get draft picks back. The Dolphins have a
first two seconds to two or three thirds. I believe
next year they lost. There's something that the people don't

(18:25):
talk about the Dolphins. This is why, like contacts. They
went all in when they went after Tyreek Hill, they
went all in.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
When they went after Bradley Chubb.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
They went all in because they were hot and they said, okay,
let's try to strike now.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
They gave up a lot of draft picks.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Mike McDaniel had eight draft picks in the span of
like two to three years at one point, just eight.
That's hard to really try to build the franchise and
build and bring in young new players when you don't
have a lot of draft picks. They're gaining a lot
of that back, but.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
You still have to trust. But you still have to
trust the coach quarterbackdynamic. You still have to say to yourself,
all right, is this the coach quarterback dynamic? And it
might not be. They We're talking about a franchise that
has had the longest current drought without a playoff win
of any team in the National Football League. Are you convinced,

(19:15):
because when you talk about what you have to do
a reset, well, you don't do a reset if you're
convinced this is the combination that's going to be work
for you, explain you don't have to do a reset.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
What I would do is I would actually still move forward.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Mike mc dane's not going anywhere.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
But they do need to address the quarterback position, whether
you bring somebody in to groom, or you somehow strike
with a trade, or or are you are you trade
up in the draft and you but going into the
offseason to is still your starter, But I don't think
you can go forward.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
With that quarterback room.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
I'll say it that way, like, too's still your starter
right now moving forward. But if something does get your
interest and the new GM comes in and goes, listen,
we can't just throw two out the door. We still
owe too much money. But what we are gonna do
is we're gonna find our future quarterback right now because
this may not this may not be this may not
be it right here, but we can't just cut to it. Okay, now,

(20:16):
now let's take no, you're gonna set your franchise back back.
But they do need to address the quarterback room this offseason.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Absolutely Seahawks right now, what's going on with them? They
have a first down after an off side. They have
basically a fourth and short against the Falcons. By the way,
speaking of the Seahawks, so the current Vegas odds on
winning the Super Bowl, Rams are number one, Seahawks are

(20:45):
number two. We're talking Vegas odds. Got a chance. So
right now they have the Seahawks listed as the number
two team to win the Super Bowl right now with
Sam Donald at quarterback.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Sam Donald go and throw it away in the divisional round,
never even get to the conference championship game. I'm saying
it in Week fourteen right now, Sam Darnell will throw
it away in the wild card on a divisional round.
They'll never see the NFC championship game.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
So right now they got a first down at the
Atlanta seventeen yard line. Again, this is a Falcons team.
A very disappointing season for Atlanta this year. There's a
team that could be looking for a new coach. The
Raheem Morris situation. Just is that fair? Is that fair? Though?
Is it ever fair? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's fair

(21:31):
sometimes the fire right Well, Pete Carroll's fair right. By
the way, have you heard the latest? I think you have.
You have to fire Pete Carroll, I believe well. By
the way, now they're blaming Tom Brady for everything. So
they're saying that that it was it was Brady decided
to pass on younger coaching possibilities and go with Pete Carroll.
It was Tom Brady that insisted on hiring Chip Kelly

(21:54):
as the offensive coordinator, by the way, giving him the
richest contract of any offensive coordinator ever in history. He
was also the guy that said, forget Sam Darnold, bring
in Geno Smith. Forget Sam Darnald, get Gino Smith. He's
the right guy. So right now they're blaming Tom Brady
for everything disastrous, and it has been a disaster this year.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
You know what the Rangers really fast for we go
to Mons even if that is the case. Okay, there's
no perfect front office person.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
Like honestly, he's new with this, right, he's new with this.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Tom Brady talks great and when I watch football, I
listen to it like he's the goat.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
Okay, we can stop all that silly talk.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
But this is a new positions and he's allowed to
make some mistakes. My thing is, don't double down on
the mistakes, get rid of them fast, and then make
better decisions.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
So even if people.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Want to say, oh this is all Tom Brady, okay,
no problem, then you are a fired Chim Kelly, fire
Pete Carroll, get a new quarterback and move forward. You
got your stud running back. Who's unhappy? You got your
stud tight end is right, the best tight end in football.
You got weapons, you got a defensive linement. It's one
of the top five in the league. Right, yeah, you're right.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
You cut your losses. Tom Brady should have learned that
from his time in New England, because no team did
a better job. No organization cutting losses quick if they
make a mistake, whether it was a high traffic, big
priced free agent. And that's why New England. Well look again,
what Bob Kraft did you know? They gave Mayo a
shot one year as a fair after one and done that,
he's gone on a bad team. Probably not, but they

(23:21):
made the move. They bring him Brabel and the rest
is history. Iland find out what is trending right now?
MONSI how are you today?

Speaker 7 (23:29):
I am well, how are you guys doing good?

Speaker 1 (23:31):
In December? Does it feel like December. By the way,
while everyone listening out there is freezing somewhere here in
so cal I'm not even going to say I.

Speaker 8 (23:39):
Think it's going to be like nice this week, like
high seventies.

Speaker 7 (23:43):
So yeah, it doesn't feel like Christmas. But does it ever?
I mean I literally put up a tree just so
I feel like Christmas, you know what I mean. But
it is crazy that it's December, that it's week.

Speaker 8 (23:55):
Fourteen of the NFL, that we're like down to the
final good.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
We were saying this, the worst part about football season
is just when he gets settled in, it's over what
happened here, It's over.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
Watching the conference game, championship game yesterday, I was really
sad on my sofa, but I'm like, like real, it's
over college football, like just like that.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
And it was a great year, but just like that.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Now we just got the playoff game, so it's essentially over.

Speaker 5 (24:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
I mean, this morning, I woke up and I cast
my Heisman ballot.

Speaker 7 (24:25):
Of course he did.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
I will not say, you.

Speaker 7 (24:28):
Know he has a Heisman vote, you know what.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
I didn't know that, And I think he worked for
an NFL franchise. I just which one I hate to
say that. I also want to high school with Jeff Fisher.
But anyway, uh so, uh yeah, I did cast my
Heisman ballot. I'll tell you next week after they know.
I already know I'm not gonna do to you, but
allright know who it is, I know. But yeah, I mean,
it's just like, wow, it's over.

Speaker 7 (24:51):
It is over. It's crazy, it's crazy.

Speaker 8 (24:53):
And we'll get into the college football playoff in just
a second, but we'll start here in the NFL. With
the eight games going on that are all in the
first half, still some in the first quarter, some still
early in the second quarter. The Seahawks and the Falcons
are now tied at three apiece. Late in the first
Bengals got in the end zone on a Chase Brown
rushing touchdown. Bill's only got a field goal on their drive.
So Bengals are up right now seven to three early

(25:14):
in the second quarter, and they're approaching the red zone.
Cam Ward threw a touchdown pretty quickly. He also just
threw an interception, so the Brown's got a field goal
out of it. Titans are up right now seven to
three late in the first quarter. Well, we're also on
Miles Garrett. You know sackwatch like he may break the record.
I think he's four away, so we.

Speaker 7 (25:32):
Are on that.

Speaker 8 (25:32):
Watch for Miles Garrett. JJ McCarthy with a quick touchdown
pass for the Vikings. And yeah, Jaden Daniels is back
for the Commanders. He is five of nine for fifty
five yards so far. Vikings are up seven zero early
in the second quarter. Dolphins are just crushing the Jets
so far. It's fourteen zero halfway through the first quarter.
Devon h Chen with a rushing touchdown, but to a
tagoa Loo also connected with Jaylen Waddle. Miami currently has

(25:54):
the ball and they're approaching the red zone. Late in
the first quarter, the Saints and the Buccaneers are tied
at seven. Tampa Bay currently has the ball around midfield.
Jonathan Taylor in the end zone for the Colts. That's
refreshing because he's had a couple of slow weeks. Here,
Colts and the Jags tied at seven late in the
first and Aaron Rodgers with a rushing touchdown, so the
Steelers are up on the Ravens seven three late in

(26:15):
the first quarter.

Speaker 7 (26:16):
There.

Speaker 8 (26:16):
When it comes to the college football playoff first round byes,
the first four seeds. Indiana the Hoosiers after winning last night,
came in at number one. Yes, Ohio State comes in
at number two, Georgia and Texas Tech. They're gonna have
first round byes hosting first round games.

Speaker 7 (26:33):
This is seeds five through eight.

Speaker 8 (26:35):
It's Oregon, Ole, Miss, Texas, A and M and Oklahoma
the number nine, ten, eleven, and twelve seats.

Speaker 7 (26:42):
It's Alabama coming in.

Speaker 8 (26:43):
At number nine, Miami, Tulane and James Madison. So first
out was Notre Dame, second out was b YU, which was.

Speaker 7 (26:52):
The conversation after Alabama and the whole thing.

Speaker 8 (26:55):
Iowa State University and also Kansas State have informed the
twelve conference that they're not going to be participating in
a bowl game, so they're gonna be fined five hundred
thousand dollars.

Speaker 7 (27:05):
And also there's an NBA game going on right now.

Speaker 8 (27:07):
The next lead the Magic sixty three to fifty five
early in the third quarter.

Speaker 7 (27:10):
What a busy day.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Back to you guys once, how'd you feel about the
college football playoff?

Speaker 8 (27:14):
I'm so mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean,
I I vacation in college football world, you know what
I mean?

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Like, you know, right to not a college football.

Speaker 8 (27:23):
So my opinion on it was that if I'm Alabama
and I didn't make it, I'd be like, never asked
me to play in an SEC championship game again, right,
if you're gonna knock me for losing against the the
you know what I'm saying. So that ol soo, why
why is Notre Dame does it? Why do they not
have to be in a conference like I don't understand

(27:43):
they do.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
That for financial purposes? And by the way, there's a
lot of buzz that his Michigan World Marines in USC
are also contemplating leading the Big Ten and going into
Pendent and it actually pays they don't share the money.

Speaker 8 (27:55):
Yeah, so I wonder that's like, so, why wouldn't a
school just go independent? Or why wouldn't a school leave
a big caferans and go join like the ACC and
then try to win?

Speaker 1 (28:03):
The rageous thing here was Alabama? I mean I get it,
you know, I absolutely feel that way, because, first of all,
I mean, where where's their quality win? They lost to
Florida State that is as bad.

Speaker 7 (28:14):
As in a week one and I think that matters well, okay.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
And and by the way, they picked Miami over a
Notre Dame because Miami beat Notre Dame. The other thing
going in Miami's favor with Duke winning the A SEC
Championship is they weren't going to shut the ACC out
of the playoff. That would have been a bad look.
So that worked in Miami's favor. But as far as
Alabama's concerned, if you watch that SEC championship.

Speaker 7 (28:38):
In that game, why would you two losses?

Speaker 1 (28:41):
I mean, Notre Dame ns this season on a ten
game winning streak and Alabama stumbled them.

Speaker 8 (28:47):
The schedule was eleventh toughest overall, three cham Yes, I.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Told you there were gonna be there was gonna be
one three lost team that was going to make it in.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
It was going to be.

Speaker 9 (29:00):
They could have beaten Florida State but they didn't. They
could have beaten Oklahoma but they didn't, and then they
got boat raced yesterday. Right.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
Yeah, I mean I again, I don't mind a third loss.
I had said this if it was a competitive SEC
championship game. Remember Alabama was four to zero against Kirby
Smart and SEC championship games. They had his number. They
got destroyed. I'm negative three yards rushing to put that
in perspective, of course sacks. Counting college football as rushing yards,

(29:28):
they had had that kind of a total since nineteen forty,
so they were not competitive at all in that SEC champions.

Speaker 9 (29:35):
They stick out Georgia credit though, no, I mean Georgia
should they're in the playoffs, they're gonna.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
I'm not talking. I'm not talking about them being in
the playoffs, I know that much. I'm saying, can we
just give them credit for what they looked like? Well,
what they made Bama look like.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
What they looked like.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
But Bama beat Georgia earlier this year. Guys in Athens, I.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Actually looked at the AP pole that came out today.
They had Georgia ranked second Overallhio State third, which I
certainly have no problem with that, and at the end
they had Alabama eleven nine. They had well, they lost.

Speaker 10 (30:11):
To Miami, but their two losses are by a combined
four points.

Speaker 9 (30:15):
That's it. Yeah, the Notre Dame hasn't lost a game
since September. Since September.

Speaker 10 (30:19):
The guys know the history of the Conference championship game.
It goes back to the just the nineties, and it
was invented by the SEC itself to try to give
themselves an advantage over other teams and almost almost Yeah,
so like the way around here, and a guy that

(30:40):
was the head of the SEC just passed away this week.
But for us to sit around here and weep about
poor old Alabama having to play a thirteenth game and
risk something, they're the ones who invented this crap. Well like,
they're the ones who assumed this risk by playing it,
and I think they'll very well like it's not going anywhere.
Look that anybody that believes that somehow this committee is

(31:00):
not biased, it's just being nice.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Alabama.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
But we all know that though it's always been biased.
Anytime you have a committee of people, okay, that have
attachments and have connections to universities and conferences, you're gonna
get this. I don't think anybody's weeping or crying about anything.
I think most people. Kurt Herbstreet said it best yesterday.
He's one of the loudest voices. And this guy's been
doing this for twenty five thirty years. If you're gonna

(31:27):
punish me for having to play a bonus game, like
I believe BYU being pushed out that you had the
opportunity on the field, you didn't get it done.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
You got wiped twice by Texas Tech.

Speaker 10 (31:35):
Okay, sorry, they dropped for a championship game. Then they
only lost twice, they one of them a championship.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
What happened? What happened to this? Alabama's different again. Notre
Dame is the team that got screwed because there was
no First of all, when Duke won the ACC championship,
you're not gonna shut out the ACCA, and you can't
things happening team Miami, and Miami was most team. Most
people thought Miami was gonna be on the out. But

(32:02):
when Duke won the ACC championship game that put Miami in.
Then all of a sudden, they're they're like, all right,
we're gonna say that Miami beat Notre Dame. That gets Miami.
We can't shut the ACC out of a twelve school playoff.
We can't. Now, when you got five teams from one
conference at one conference in the you can't shut out
a power conference.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
This is why twelve is just too many, because you're
gonna have this every single year. We do this with
the NCAA Tournament. They expanded it and guess what we
have now seventy sixty one sixty eight and sixty nine
and seventy, complaining that's why twelve you're gonna get this area,
and now you got too lane in jamu.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Yeah it's cool. See I'm going the opposite way here.
I look at you already have set the bar at twelve.
You're not gonna go lower. You gotta go to sixteen.
Oh you got it.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
I think I still hate the idea sixteen teams.

Speaker 9 (32:50):
Yeah, I should have been.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Well, that's what they have at every other level. CS
Division two have always had sixteen teams.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
You always said seven, and I thought one team should
get a buy. You get seven. One team gets to buy,
so sick the other six gotta play the team that
finished like Indiana, they would Does Indiana deserve a bye?
Ohio State? Don't you just got You've put up ten points?
Bro By the way, it really is, you don't really
deserve a bye. You know what I'm saying. But it's sick.

(33:18):
Twelve is just too many. We're gonna have this every
single year. I was just simply asking you, bo, you
think Nordre dame to me? To me, it was a
coy flip, whether it was Miami or whether it's Nordon Dame.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
You're gonna have.

Speaker 9 (33:30):
It's just three losses is kind of my my limit. Like,
I got you like seeing three losses.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
But we always I said, if there was a three
lost team that was going to get it's gonna be
gonna be fast. Do you you watch that Alabama Auburn game?

Speaker 3 (33:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (33:44):
How bad Alabama is right now?

Speaker 9 (33:46):
I spent the last week like laughing at the idea
that Texas should be a playoff team. But if you're
putting Bama into the playoffs, what is the argument against
Texas at that point?

Speaker 10 (33:54):
Or Vanderbilt? Apparently some advanced number stuff really like Vanderbilt,
and which kind of goes back to the fact that
we're in like a weird subjective reality when like we
could have just been having the BCS rankings with twelve teams.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
Well, by the way this argument goes away, I have
a late entry for NFL Most Valuable Player Joe Burrow
fourteen to three Bengals on the road against the Bills,
Burrow is nine to ten ninety five yards. Well, we
know what's up with the Bills. You said you wanted
Joe Burrow to sit out the rest of the year,
and I said, why would he do that right now.
Joe Burrow could very well find if they pull this

(34:28):
upset on the road against the Bills, they got a
real shot to win the AFC.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Doesn't changed my mind in my opinion on I said
Steal would have said because they were three and eight.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
But now, but in that division, three and eight was
not out of it. And now they got the dub
that they got left. Now they got four and eight,
and now fourteen to three, get the five and eight.
Think about it.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
The only way they got a shot is to get
the nine and eight and win a division. They have
to hope for both these teams that we're watching here
just fall off the Matt Pitsberg and I'm watching this game.
That's not a good game right now.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
This is a this is a Steelers Ravens game. It is.
I was about to say, I mean this is but
we're staying at Lamar Jackson possibly going a fourth consecutive
game with either a touchdown pass or a rushing touchdown.

Speaker 9 (35:10):
Yeah, really quick, before we go, Daniel Jones, I'm looking
at it.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
He's got a broken leg.

Speaker 11 (35:15):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
Yeah, there's no way Daniel Jones can go and there
goes the Yeah. Unfortunately, the injury of Dan Jones. He's
in the tent and he cannot walk at all, and
they have who's Leonard? Who I mean they.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
The owner?

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Dame Guy transfer from Duke Wow. Okay. He's warming up
for the Colts right now on the road against the
Jacksonville Jaguars, one of the better defenses, by the way.
Jack's lead that game by score of fourteen seven. We
continue on on an insanely busy Week fourteen and the NFL.
This is end Zone Radio.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
Chase Brown in the backfield on second and two, Borrow
drops straight back to throw, looking firing for the end zone.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
T Higgins reaches.

Speaker 4 (35:57):
Out, craps the balls, touchdown on the Bengals Burrow to
Higgins twenty one yard touchdown.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
That's seven hundred WLW Bengals Radio network. That gave the
Bengals a fourteen to three lead. But the Bills have
come back, not only scored a touchdown, but got a
two point conversion fourteen to eleven Bengals over the Bills
seven and a half minutes to go in the first
half in that game. This is end Zone Radio. Hartman
and Husky here in the Fox Sports Radio studios. Quick

(36:27):
rundown of the scores right now, Seahawks and Falcons tied
at three. Titans lead the Browns now fourteen to nine.
Steor Sandra just threw a touchdown pass to get the
Browns back in this one. Vikings with a fourteen to
nothing lead over the Commanders JJ McCarthy nine to ten,
ninety nine yards and a score. Dolphins with a big
twenty one to seven lead on the road against the Jets,

(36:48):
and of the first quarter there, Bucks and Saints are
tied at seven. Bucks trying to win to maintain their
lead in that NFC South Jaguars of fourteen to seven
over the Cold The story here is, uh, Well, Daniel
Jones is out, came into the game essentially on a
broken leg, and that leg was re injured. He's in

(37:10):
the ten, his status very much up in the air
right now. And the Steelers lead the Ravens seven to three. Uh.
And then this is a typical battle between these two
AFC North teams. This will be the low scoring game.
That's what did did he throw a pick? Yeah? Yeah
he did?

Speaker 10 (37:29):
Yeah, Well, I guess that's tipped up from the receiving Nobody.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
Dog didn't say that about everybody that throws one. I
just pointed out he threw an interception though, right.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Well, I'll give you this. He's four of nine for
thirty yards against Atlanta. Yeah, so that's not great, that's
not good. It's yeah, so.

Speaker 9 (37:47):
Uh there you go.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
Uh. I always love the one thing I love about
this show with all the people that we have contribute
on the show, as everyone has their their personal biases.
If you if you've listened to the show on a
weekly basis, you know where everyone's Everybody doesn't admit it
though that's the problem. Well, no, I think I think
you don't even have to.

Speaker 10 (38:11):
Yes, seems extremely honest about the lasses.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
Uh So anyway, we uh this is good. By the way,
one change. Last week we did a little change here,
they did a little change. So we do our power
five right now. So Chris, I want to prepare you
for this. So last week we got so busy we
sort of missed our window, and then we realize, why

(38:35):
don't we do the power of five in the last
half hour of our show when all the morning games
are done. That would make a lot of sense. So
that way we literally do an up to date off
the cuff. Where do we step with the power rankings
going into the afternoon game Sunday night game of the
Monday night game. So that's when we're gonna do our
updated power rankings. Let's go to Monsei right now. She

(38:55):
has something for us.

Speaker 8 (38:58):
All right, guys, So I don't know if you saw
Daniel Jones went to the medical tent to the locker room.
He has been rolled out with an achilles injury. It
was a non contact injury they had reported. It wasn't
even the leg that he has a fractured fibula on.
They say it's the other one and it's an achilles injury.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
Stating for the other one. Lad compensating for the injury
of another. Well, and especially on a wet field. It's
raining in Jacksonville, so it was yeah, if it's an
achilles injury, his season's over. Listen. I want to go
back to the biases here. Okay, this is fun. This
is fun.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Like I wasn't talking about Steve when I said everybody
that and admit their biases.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
I wasn't talking about Steve.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
I'm talking about you two in there we're talking about Steve.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
I'm talking about you too. Well, they did, they deny
you two in there, Chris will deny that he's a
Lions fan. He just covers the Lions. No, I no
longer cover the Lions.

Speaker 10 (39:46):
I'm now so you know, not a fan, and they'll
be covering the Lions.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Bo Bo alternates between the Eagles and the Rams.

Speaker 9 (39:53):
Yeah, but I don't deny it, and you and you knew.

Speaker 1 (39:56):
Yeah, come on, man, you do you gott it?

Speaker 2 (39:58):
Listen all right, So I'll put it out that the
it out there. I have to say anything about it
because I think his year is done.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
I've said it.

Speaker 2 (40:03):
Wor no mention of how great JJ McCarthy's playing today.
But if he was playing bad, you guys would have
said it at least three or four times.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
You know how this works. For a second, they're home
against a three and nine Commanders, one of the worst
teams a little bit.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
Last week last week? Did we not agree? Christ you
were with your vacation, but we agree last week?

Speaker 1 (40:22):
Did we not both? We're not doing that, We're not
doing all they played, did you you? I? I agree,
but I'm not going to jump over myself because the
nasty worst quarter against the Commanders at home. You are
coming up here on end Zone Radio all right rolling
along air Week fourteen in the National Football a we
got eight games going on right now. Yeah, it is

(40:43):
getting serious as we turned the calendar to the month
of December, End Zone Radio, Harbin and Husky and the
Fox Sports Radio studios, and you know, it's always an
interesting time of the year. But because and I agreed
one hundred percent what you said at the top of
the show today, VJ talking about the fact that, Okay,

(41:05):
everything seems a little upside down right now. I mean,
you go into the week with the Bears and the
Patriots as the two teams as the top seeds and
the respective conferences. You know, so everything upside down, or
as you said, maybe it is that year of the
changing of the guard, you know. I mean, let's start
with the Kansas City Chiefs. I'm not right about a
lot of things, but one thing I haven't right about

(41:27):
was the demise of the Chiefs. They need a miracle.
They need to win out. Even Mahomes said, we got
to win. We can't lose any more games. And they
need help because they lose a tie break to the Bills,
they lose a tie break to the Jaguars, they lost
the Chargers, they lost to the Broncos, so they they
need help. Well, Texans are going to get him today.

(41:51):
So that's the game they got to play today against
the number one defense in the National Football League and
they are banged up on their offensive line. But if
you take the Chiefs out of the mix, and by
the way, can we also, by the way, put the
final nail in the coffin on the Dallas Cowboys. This
game that we have against the Lions on Thursday, that
was an elimination game. Even with the Lions win, they're

(42:15):
still as of today not in the playoffs on the
NFC side, So we for two weeks, everyone's all hyped up.
The Cowboys are back, they beat the Eagles, they beat
the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
You guys can't put the nail in the Cowboys because
you guys are writing the Eagles off.

Speaker 1 (42:28):
So you can't put the nail in the Cowboys. Well
I'm not because I like the Eagles Tomorrow night against
a very banged up Charger team. I don't think the
Eagles are gonna lose three in a row.

Speaker 2 (42:36):
Okay, I'll bet there covering again to Marrow and we'll
see what's up. But I mean, if we're putting the
nail in the coffin. Then we can't put the for
the Cowboys that we can't put the nil in the
call for the Eagles. Well, the Commanders and the Giants
aren't gonna cast you got.

Speaker 1 (42:48):
You got all these teams with eight or nine wins
ahead of them, and they're at six. But I mean
they're behind.

Speaker 2 (42:54):
Part the way that some people think they're gonna fall apart.
Then that would open the door for I.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
Don't look at me when you say that. I don't.

Speaker 9 (43:00):
The magic number for the Eagles is two. Yeah, they
need to win two games, or they need a combo
of one win and one.

Speaker 1 (43:06):
Games or Dallas gonna catch it.

Speaker 9 (43:07):
Well, they got to beat the Chargers. The Eagles play
the Chargers tomorrow. They play Washington twice. They played the
Bills and the Raiders said.

Speaker 1 (43:16):
They have Washington twice. Yes, okay, so there's two wins
right there. Maybe have you seen the Commanders as of late?

Speaker 9 (43:23):
Yeah, I mean, come on, you know divisional games are
where they brutal team Giants. How many? How many ones
do the Giants have this here too?

Speaker 8 (43:29):
Right?

Speaker 1 (43:30):
Yes?

Speaker 9 (43:30):
Yeah? Of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Speaker 1 (43:32):
Yeah, okay, Well, again your bias against the Eagles is
over flipping around.

Speaker 10 (43:37):
Look at the Cowboys schedule. They got to either a
little host the Vikings and then they're playing the Chargers
at Commanders at Giants to finish the year. They have
to run that. They have to run that, right, yeah,
because even.

Speaker 1 (43:49):
If they run that, they're ten six and one, and
as I said, there are everyone in front of them
has eight or nine wins. I mean, the tie could
play in their favor, but I'll put the you have
to win out and you need help.

Speaker 9 (44:02):
I apologize to Steve, but I will give the Eagles
the win over the Raiders. So okay, there should be
one more win in their schedule there, so they should
win these. But it's a lot closer than it should.
It feels like it should have been when they were
what eight and two?

Speaker 1 (44:13):
All right, what are we watching right now? We saw
the Bengals get in the end zone again. Wow. And
it is absolutely a snow floory in Buffalo today. I
mean it is. This feel is going to be absolutely
blanketed in snow today in Buffalo. So twenty one eleven
Bengals lead this game. Joe Burrow is twelve to fifteen

(44:35):
for one hundred and nineteen yards and two touchdowns three
minutes to go in the first half. Lamar Jackson is
just threw an interception. He just doesn't look himself. No,
he hasn't been as healthy.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
It hasn't been healthy all year. He just does not
look himself. This is a bad throw, it's a bad read.
It's not he doesn't even seemingly get it over the
defensive back that's playing in the middle zone and he
just jumps up with one hand and picks it down
that is and get close to the receiver.

Speaker 1 (44:58):
Yeah, he is four of a forty four yards in
that pick in the game. So a subpar Lamar Jackson.
And again, like I said, the thing about the Steelers
and the Ravens, for whatever reason, Mike Tomlin's had John
Harbaugh's number. If the Steelers go in and win today
on the road against the Ravens, that puts the Steelers

(45:18):
back in the driver's seat controlling their own destiny in
that AFC North, which is a Mike Tomlin play. What's
interesting we're talking earlier about Tomlin one hundred percent agree
with you in the sense that, hey, if they lose,
they don't make the playoffs. You know, they're going to
have a mutual partying of ways, and they're going to
bring in somebody new they could, Well, what if they
win the division? What if they do get into them?

Speaker 2 (45:40):
If they win the division, they'll they'll lose their home
playoff game.

Speaker 1 (45:43):
Well they might, but I mean, are you still going
to say bye bye? Yeah? No, not bye bye? If
I'm Tomlin, this is me. If you're saying for Tomlin Stanley.

Speaker 2 (45:53):
Yeah, the Steelers aren't going to fire him or get
rid of them. But I'm just thinking, if you, Mike Tomlin,
what else more can you do? You have to know
at some point your voice isn't the same in the
locker room, your voice isn't the same with the franchise anymore.
But they've had three coaches in the history of their franchise.

Speaker 1 (46:10):
They don't fire them since nineteen sixty nine. Here's the
thing about it, though, I mean, okay, that's all fine
and Danny, but you've coached one place and you have
a very healthy situation with the Rooney family. That is
an organization one hundred percent committed to football. They've been
struggling to find the quarterback answer. They haven't been able
to fix it since Roethlisberger's career went south, and that's

(46:33):
a frustration, I'm sure for him. But do you know
what you're getting with the Giants? Do you know what
you're getting with some of these other franchises. If you're
Mike Tomlin, you've been in the comfort zone with that
Rooney family and you may find out going elsewhere is
not exactly what you signed up for. And that's the
other thing. If you're if you're a team and you're
interviewing Mike Tomlin for a job, what are you looking for?

(46:55):
You know, how much control do you want? This was
what happened with Belichick when he was going the rounds
and interviewing for jobs or being denied interview for jobs,
and said teams were very hesitant to hire a guy
that had the kind of control he had in New England.

Speaker 2 (47:10):
If you're if you're a franchise that's looking for in
the immediate change, tomin would be your guy. He could
come in and bring that immediate change, that that Jim
Harball type of immediate change.

Speaker 1 (47:21):
Because of his cachet.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
When he walks in the door, there's not a veteran
or an employee there that's gonna think Okay, this ain't
gonna work. The minute he walks in the door, everyone
feels different. Everyone thinks we have a chance. Now, everyone
thinks we're better, simply because remember when Parcels would get
hired by these teams. After after denouncement with the Giants,

(47:43):
he walks into Dallas, They're different. Immediately he goes to
the Jets. They're different, immediately goes to the Patriots. Differently
the minute he walks some guys just had that. You
talk about comfort with the Steelers. Maybe he's like, okay,
like the relationship can't get no worse or no better
with the Rooning, right, it can't get any worse, It

(48:04):
can't get any better. It's as good as it's going
to get with them. Why not challenge yourself? I think,
And he's a former player, competitive guy, you know. I
just think it's up in the air. Do you want
to just keep being none in eight?

Speaker 1 (48:16):
Steve, that's the question just getting into the postseason? Is
that enough? We had that with Lewis and Cincinnati get
into the playoffs every year and every seven he was
there for eighteen years. Martin Lewis owen seven in playoff games, right,
oh seven? It just went funding him though they wouldn't
fire Jason Garrett with the Cowboys. They didn't want to

(48:36):
pay off contracts. They don't want to pay off anything
in Cincinnati. By the way, Steelers right now of a
second and five at the Ravens seventeen yard line after
the interception. So Steelers already lead in that game ten
to three. Looking to add to that lead. Many Well,
I'm looking at these clocks. There's only one game that's closed,
two games close to halftimes. Well, part of it is

(48:59):
we have weather. Now, Okay, we don't have weather in
southern California because we never have weather here, but we
do have weather around the country. As a manager, it's
an absolute snowstorm going on right now. Buffalo. They actually
just got to the two minute warning in that game.
I guess one of the big surprises so far has
been the Seahawks. So, as I mentioned Vegas odds, right now,
the Seahawks listed is the number two team to win

(49:21):
the Super Bowl behind the Rams. Right now, they don't
look anything like that today on the road against a
Falcons team whose season is over. Kirk Cousins doing nothing
today six eleven forty seven yards, But Sam Darnold five
of eleven thirty seven yards and by the way, if
it hadn't been for one twenty seven yard run by

(49:43):
Zach Sharbaday, they have no offense in this game.

Speaker 2 (49:46):
None Kenneth walk against Atlanta's senior yards. So it's yeah, exactly.
But like I listen, like I said, I've already said
I had to say about Seatt, I'm not sure where
this is coming from.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
With Vegas. Maybe they're trying to sucker some people in
to put some money on them in the long.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
Haul, but they have a really good defense. Yes, but
this team is gonna come down. We talked about this
a few weeks ago, you and I. If you have
to if your question mark how far you can go
into the playoffs is what your QB.

Speaker 1 (50:13):
Then the answers no.

Speaker 2 (50:14):
If you have to say, well, you know, as long
as such and such, if it's the quarterback, it's been proven,
the answer is gonna be no, because there's teams that
don't have that question, and why they keep going to
the playoffs and why they keep winning play Does Buffalo
have that question?

Speaker 5 (50:30):
No?

Speaker 1 (50:30):
Have the Eagles had that question?

Speaker 8 (50:32):
No?

Speaker 1 (50:33):
Have the Chiefs had that question?

Speaker 3 (50:34):
No?

Speaker 2 (50:35):
These are the teams that could see you when Joe
Burrow's healthy and they get to the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (50:38):
Dude, they have that question. No, but other teams, Oh.

Speaker 2 (50:41):
You know, if just Sam Darnold or what about Drake
Mech If those are your questions and it's the quarterback,
it's a fifty to fifty proposition that you can lose
your home playoff game, all right.

Speaker 1 (50:51):
The four teams that have the final bys this week
are the Patriots, the Giants, the forty nine ers, and
the Panthers. So last night I'm ing TV and one
of the women that works on the news side, she
comes over and she goes, do you have a moment?
And I said, sure, she's a big Patriots fan you
And so she's been a lifelong Patriots fan. I mean lifelong.
She's in my age bracket, right, And I said, I said,

(51:14):
She goes, what do you think? And I'm like, look,
they are who they are right now. They have the
best record in the NFL. They're eleven and two. If
they get the number one seed in the AFC and
they get that buy that's gonna be a huge advantage
for them. They would only have to win. They get
a bye. You have to play two games at home
and that that will work in their favor. How will

(51:37):
Drake May hold up in the postseason? How will Drake
May hold up if on the other side is Josh
Allen and the Buffalo Bills. I mean, I mean, I.

Speaker 2 (51:46):
Don't know, are the Texas number one ring defense coming
in or any of these teams, I mean the Broncos.

Speaker 1 (51:52):
I mean, would he hold up? And most people will
say this, those that have been sort of just the
eyeball test or Drake May This year, we'll say the
same thing. Touchdown Falcons, touchdown Falcons. They take the lead
over the Seahawks. Darnell Mooney right there on the receiving
end if Kirk Cousin threw an absolutely perfect pass. Meanwhile,

(52:14):
we have another touchdown for the Steelers game. Weell gets
into the end zone. So the Steelers right now on
the road against the Ravens up sixteen to three, penny
of the extra points. So, I you know, she was like,
you know, what do you think of the Patriots. I said, look,
there's no reason to doubt them. It's just that, you know,
once we get to the postseason, not only a young quarterback,

(52:36):
that's a young team, and how will they fare on
the spotlight and we'll just find out. But I would
I bet against the Patriots? No, why would I bet
against the Patriots against any team right now? Depizel who
goes in there?

Speaker 2 (52:47):
That would be my If they have homefield advantage, I
would have to see how to bracket sets up and
who could possibly go in there because they don't have
the Bible.

Speaker 1 (52:54):
While we'll give me, give me, give me two teams
that you would say hate, they're not an hate to admit.

Speaker 2 (53:00):
But if you take that Denver defense up there, if
you take that pass rush and past certand the best
corner in football, you lock and you take Digs out
of the game. You lock Digs up and take him
out of the game with certain can do. But how
will bow Nicks though fair against the Patriots?

Speaker 3 (53:15):
Right?

Speaker 1 (53:16):
Right? True?

Speaker 2 (53:16):
So then what it comes down to is Sean Payton
against Mike Rabel. Who can disrupt the young quarterback the
most with his defensive mind, his defensive schematic skills and
the game plan he puts out there. That game could
be sixteen thirteen. Oh absolutely, that could be a punch in.

Speaker 1 (53:33):
The face punching then that man game because again with
your young quarterbacks. You just don't want to lose the game.
Don't want the game away. I don't want my quarterback
to lose the game.

Speaker 9 (53:45):
The important thing, too, is the the Broncos need to
beat Steve's Raiders today because then they have have a
tiebreaker over the Patriots.

Speaker 1 (53:53):
Now, in my late night TV I have to pick
the the sort of the local favorites. Sho you know,
I picked the Rams to win at Arizona. I picked
the Eagles to win Monday night against the Chargers. Chargers
are banged up. And then I picked the Raiders, and
I was laughing. I said, I know this is a joke,
but I'm gonna do it anyway. I mean, the Raiders
are I mean, I dare say, if you were to

(54:16):
play the Titans right now in a neutral field, I
take the Titans.

Speaker 2 (54:19):
Yeah, Steve, who would you trust more at home into playoffs?
Denver with home field advantage or the Patriots with home
field advantage Denver.

Speaker 9 (54:27):
Yeah, that's exactly I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (54:28):
That's what That's why I said Denver would be the
team that if they went to New England, I would
take Denver to win the game.

Speaker 9 (54:35):
The AFC is so mid this year where I really
feel like whoever is the one seed and has home
field throughout is probably going to go to the super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (54:42):
Well, it's only mid because two of their the biggest
stars have missed most of the year. But Lamar and Burrow, Yeah,
and Herbert's banged up.

Speaker 9 (54:50):
Yeah, at this point, I don't think. I don't think
Burrow or Lamar are going to be in the playoffs.
Maybe the Ravens can sneak in. So, like, I just
don't trust Josh Allen, like this version of the Bills too.

Speaker 1 (55:00):
Well, I'll tell you what.

Speaker 10 (55:01):
This is, like the perfect weather for Josh Allen to
have this Bill's home field day and.

Speaker 1 (55:06):
We watch the Bengals have the ball back, so a
minute eleven to go on the first half, Bengals already
leading at Buffalo in a snowstorm, twenty one to eleven.
Joe Burrow has been absolutely phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
Josh Allen can't beat him, he's only two, he gets him. Yeah,
Joe Burrow goes up here and beats Josh Allen in Buffalo.
What if Cincinnati were to sneak in.

Speaker 1 (55:25):
So it's possible, at least Joe Burrow in the post
that you tune you want that, I would continue on
as we got eight games around the National Football League.
We're also going to look ahead to some of the
games later today Sunday night Monday. Now will break it
all down for you. This is end Zone Radio.

Speaker 11 (55:46):
Rogers has game well behind him as the loan setback.
Rogers is under center, two receivers to each side of
the formation. Rogers brings Anderson in motion, will pitch the
left to game on.

Speaker 1 (55:57):
Trying to get to the edge.

Speaker 11 (55:58):
Is gonna get there, cuts back pennies for a Pittsburgh
Steelers touchdown.

Speaker 1 (56:03):
That's one O two five WDVE Steelers Radio Network and
the Steelers all over the Ravens leading by a score
seventeen to three, three minutes to go in the first half. There,
Ravens are on the move though they're in Pittsburgh territory
at the twenty five yard line. Just got a first down,
so Raven's trying to get a score before the half
to get back in this game battle for first place

(56:27):
in that AFC North where the Steelers and Ravens both
sitting at six and six. All right, once again we're
here in the Fox Sports Radio studios. Steve Harbin, VJ
Husky with you here on end Zone Radio. Browns lead
the Titans seventeen to fourteen. So after a slow start,

(56:47):
Schador Sanders has played extremely well again eight of thirteen,
one hundred and seventy eight yards and two touchdowns. So again,
this was the opportunity that Shador Sanders was hoping to
get to prove that he could be the quarterback moving
for you. Also, by the way, not known for his
running abilities. He's a pocket guy. Two carries twenty two yards.

(57:10):
So he's doing a lot of positive things today. And
again I'm not going to qualify it. It is what
it is. You play who you play, and you got
to produce and he's producing. So what's your gut feeling.
We know how you stand with Shador Sanders, but do
you feel like this is the right opportunity for this
guy to not just be a play sitter on a

(57:31):
football team struggling to win. Is he a guy that
the Cleveland Browns can build around to get back into
the conversation as a team that can contend for a
postseason spot.

Speaker 2 (57:44):
No, Cleveland's not the place for any quarterback for that.
They're Cleveland. Like I've said this before, Cleveland will find
some way to screw it up. And they've already tried
to mess and screwed this up. You know, so many
different ways, whether it was Flacco, whether it was Dylan Gabriel,
or whether it's your door standers. I just don't trust Cleveland.
I said, if you remember during preseason, if I were,
if I were should door, if this is how things

(58:05):
were gonna go, I just say, just let me go,
like if you don't want me. That's my lesson to
anybody in life. That's my advice. Don't beg anybody to
want you. Don't beg anybody to want to be with you.
Don't beg anybody for nothing. People will people do what
they want to do. I will tell you I'll let
people do what they want to do because it'll show
you what they rather do. So if I don't think
anything good is gonna happen Cleveland, no matter whose their

(58:26):
quarterback is, you gotta get reps. In the NFL. We
have to get people time. Last year, everybody was out
on Caleb on Caleb, like we have this every year
where we already make our mind up about quarterbacks before
we even really give them two to three years to
see if they can even be developed, Like, do you
trust the brass there to develop anybody?

Speaker 1 (58:45):
Right?

Speaker 2 (58:45):
So it's not really about a shador thing at this point.
It's more about Cleveland Browns than me. I don't trust
their brass to do anything. Probably they should fire Stefanski
and maybe try to bring in another coach and see
if you could.

Speaker 1 (58:57):
Do it that way.

Speaker 2 (58:58):
But if Stefanci is gonna be there, this is just
what you're gonna get from.

Speaker 1 (59:02):
I will say this though, I mean with Stefanski, so
it's working. I mean, the kids is playing well, So
I mean there's no reason to start over again with
a young quarterback. If they can seem to get on
the same page and figure out a few things, then
stay with it. I mean, let's build on what you
got right now. Here's the problem for Shudor Sanders though.

(59:22):
Let's say he does establish himself as the starting quarterback
of the Browns and let's see he actually gets some success.
Remember he's a fifth round pick. He's getting paid a
fifth round salary. We had a similar situation, obviously with
brock Perty in San Francisco, where he was the last
pick in the draft and he was getting last place
money and getting MVP votes. Now they jumped the gun
and decided to reward him with a huge contract. Of course,

(59:45):
he also led the team to a super Bowl, so
he got him to a super Bowl, so that was
a different situation. But if you're sure Door Sanders and
you're playing well, but the team is middling, you know,
middling type of team, you know, maybe getting the playoffs
or not, he's not gonna get reward. That team is
still trying to eat that huge contract they gave to
you know who's.

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
So he's not worried about that, doesn't it's not a
money thing for him. He had a Bentley Roseworths in college. Okay,
it's not about the money. I just think the kid
just wants a fair opportunity, like every NFL and any
football player. Just give me an opportunity, like dude, like
an ominous and sincere opportunity, like call the plays that
you would call for everybody else and let's develop. But

(01:00:25):
once again, I don't date that. I don't trust them
to develop any quarterback that even Dylan Gabriel. I don't
trust them to develop Dylan Gabriel. So it's more of
a Browns thing for me to do. Shadre Thumb all.

Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
Right, Bengals and the Bills at the half. Bengals lead
the Bills twenty one to eleven. Joe Burrow thirteen of eighteen,
one hundred and thirty yards, two touchdowns, no picks. Remember
it is a snowstorm in Buffalo right now. Josh Allen
nine to thirteen, ninety six yards, a touchdown and no picks.
I don't know what to say about Bills eleven points.

(01:00:56):
I don't know what to say about the Bills. I mean,
I like I said, if you get the Bills into
the postseason and the Chiefs don't get there, and the
Ravens don't get there, because we were talking before the season,
you got Mahomes, you got Lamar Jackson, the Joe Burrow said.
Let's say Joe Burrow doesn't get there. Josh Allen's er
Mark Keith quarterback in the postseason on the AFC side.

(01:01:19):
I mean, you take oh and four against the Chiefs
out of his resume, no Chiefs, he should be okay.
But the ball the Bills just don't look right. They
haven't looked right really all season long. And they just
said that there's they have deficiencies, you know, talking to people.
They go, they don't, They're not great.

Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Their windows closed. The super Bowl window is closed. I've
been saying this for about three years now.

Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
But if they're closed, who's open changing it a guard.
We're gonna find out this year. Change the guards. Listen.
I'll go out on them right now.

Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
Patrick Mahomes will not be an AFC quarterback in the
Super Bowl, Josh Allen will not be then AFC quarterback
in the Super Bowl, and Joe Burrow will not be
the AFC quarterback in the Super Bowl. Lamar Jackson will
be and Lamar Jackson will not be the AFC quarterback
in the Super Bowl. We're gonna get a different AFC representative,
and it could very well be Drake may Look, Drake
Man is getting a lot of pub right now. He

(01:02:14):
classed with Cam Newton and Steven know that whole thing
about watching the show, not watching the show.

Speaker 1 (01:02:18):
There are people that have taught his name up.

Speaker 2 (01:02:21):
If there is a marquee young quarterback that I do
believe that the NFL would lean into going into the postseason.

Speaker 1 (01:02:28):
It will definitely the guy I would put my money on.
It's either gonna be Kayleb Williams there's gonna be Drake Man.
The thing people will say about Drake May like every
young quarterback, he's made mistakes, and he's made some bad mistakes, right,
but he bounces back from He doesn't seem to be
flustered by making mistakes, which is something that you look for.
You know, this was when you look at a young

(01:02:50):
Joe Montana as they were trying to develop that West
Coast offense San Francisco, and he's going through the growing pains.
But the one thing about Joe Montana was Joe cool.
He just nothing flustered the guy and he was. It
was part of the process. And so we'll see how
this all plays out for Drake Man and the Patriots. Again,
they're off this week, let's find out what is trending.

(01:03:12):
So MANSI, how do you feel about your Chargers tomorrow night?
At home with a man with a cast on his
left hand, that, of course being Justin Herbert going against
an Eagles team trying to avoid their third straight loss.

Speaker 8 (01:03:28):
I don't like it anything with the cast, and I
know it's on his throwing hand, but it's obviously not ideal.
I don't even know if he could take any snaps
under center.

Speaker 7 (01:03:37):
He didn't do that last week. So it's not an
ideal situation.

Speaker 8 (01:03:39):
But at least the Eagles haven't looked that great either,
so it's kind of like it could the Chargers could
be in a worse situation to give you you know
what I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (01:03:47):
Yeah, so I'm not I don't hate it.

Speaker 8 (01:03:49):
It's not ideal, but the Eagles haven't looked read either,
so you know, it's like, we'll see, we'll see if
the Chargers can pull it off.

Speaker 2 (01:03:56):
Well, it's a fist fight game to mar Yeah, the
thing about it is, I think it's a fist fight game.

Speaker 1 (01:04:00):
It's a cliche to say it must win games, but
it seems honestly as tight as everything is right now
true in both conferences, one game really does matter matters.

Speaker 8 (01:04:11):
Yeah, you're just saying that a lot because there is
no dominant team. There's just a bunch of good teams,
and so these games are we We're gonna be blue
by the end of the season.

Speaker 7 (01:04:20):
We're like, this game matters, it really really last.

Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
Day, both these teams have just really ugly losses. Yes,
like Chargers have the Jacksonville Yeah, the Giants. How about
the Giants loss? But then you look at how Chargers
home loss to the Commander. Yeah, does that look right?
And then and then the Eagles they lose back to
back games twice this year fashion where they did not
look good.

Speaker 1 (01:04:43):
For fourteen days, for fourteen straight days look good.

Speaker 2 (01:04:46):
So tomorrow night is one of these teams got to
get back on track.

Speaker 8 (01:04:51):
Right, Hopefully it's the Chargers. Yeah, we'll start here with
the Dolphins and the Jets.

Speaker 7 (01:04:57):
It's been all Miami your team of but.

Speaker 8 (01:05:01):
The Jets are playing without Tyrod Taylor, Torot Taylor, whatever
his name is. It's Brady Cook. And Brady Cook just
threw a pick in the end zone, so Miami got
the ball back. Dolphins are up twenty Yeah, he started
out correct. Brady Cook is in twenty four to say.
Tyrod Taylor has a groin injury which hasn't been ruled
out for the rest of the game. Questionable, but it's
a groin injury. Dolphins are up twenty four to seven,

(01:05:23):
less than thirty seconds to go.

Speaker 7 (01:05:24):
Really headed into halftime here.

Speaker 8 (01:05:26):
Buccaneers and the Saints are almost at it to halftime
as well.

Speaker 7 (01:05:28):
Tampa Bay is up ten to seven.

Speaker 8 (01:05:31):
The Colts playing the rest of the game maybe even
some more without Daniel Jones. He was ruled out after
suffering a non contact injury with an achilles injury. Riley
Leonard is in at quarterback for the Colts and the
Jaguars are up on the Colts at home twenty one
to ten with one minute to go less than and
the Jaguars currently have the ball and they're in the
red zone. Kenneth Gainwell with the rushing touchdown for Pittsburgh

(01:05:52):
that extended their lead over the Ravens in Baltimore, Steelers
are up right now seventeen to three with about twenty
seconds to go, but the Ravens have the ball and
they're knocking on the door or to score early in
the third quarter where the Vikings are on top of
the Commander's fourteen zero JJ McCarthy nine of eleven ninety
nine yards on a touchdown. At the half, the Browns
lead the Tits seventeen to fourteen.

Speaker 7 (01:06:09):
SHARDR.

Speaker 8 (01:06:10):
Sanders connecting with Jerry Judy for a sixty yard rushing
touchdown and the Miles Garrett has twenty sacks, most in
IT team history. Oh thank you Shay producer for bringing
that in. I guess that just went down at the half.

Speaker 7 (01:06:23):
Thank you. He is a Cleveland fan. I wonder why he.

Speaker 8 (01:06:25):
Knew that the Bengals at the half lead the Bills
twenty one to eleven.

Speaker 7 (01:06:29):
Joe Burrow, you.

Speaker 8 (01:06:30):
Guys were talking about having a great first half thirteen
of eighteen, one hundred and thirty yards, two touchdowns, and
how about this game?

Speaker 7 (01:06:35):
Who had sixty six for Seahawks and Falcons at the half?

Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
Well, I mean Darnold is having a horrible yes, yes.

Speaker 7 (01:06:42):
Which he has in the past.

Speaker 8 (01:06:44):
Right, so this is this is what nine to fifteen,
sixty seven yards and an interception and an interception. He
also has two sacks. In case you missed the college
football playoff announcement, basically Alabama did make it in at
number nine. Miami Tulane James Madison finish out the twelve.
First out was Notre Dame, second out was BYU and
it's Indiana who is a number one seed. And in

(01:07:06):
the NBA, the Knicks are about to beat the Magic
maybe one of four to ninety six less than a
minute ago.

Speaker 7 (01:07:10):
But Franz Wagner suffered a knee injury.

Speaker 8 (01:07:13):
It looks like in the first half, so Orlando has
been playing with alf it was not pretty. He went
for a ali felt fell and it looked like the
knee buckles. Mm hmm. So they've been out so right
now magic down nine. We'll see if they can make
it happen in this one minute against the Knicks.

Speaker 7 (01:07:27):
All right, back to.

Speaker 1 (01:07:28):
You, guys, Wow, I want to loaded up. Thank you
very much. We appreciate that. By the way, while you
were speaking, the double zero streak of Lamar Jackson is over.
He just ran in for a touchdown and then they
promptly missed the extra point, just hooked it and that
is so Steelers still lead the Ravens seventeen to nine,

(01:07:48):
just seconds to go in the first half. They will
just rent out the clock.

Speaker 9 (01:07:52):
Yet, can I deliver some news that may make your
co host happy? I may prove one of his points.
Jayde Daniels was doing an interception on fourth and three.
The Commanders went for it, but Jenen Daniels went to
the ground and when he got up, he was very
clearly holding the elbow that he injured and was not
moving it as he ran off the Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:08:09):
So again we're talking about a three and nine Commanders team.
It is OSSI out there. That's a team that could
definitely say there's no reason for him to be out there. Okay,
but unless you want to do to him what they
did to RG three years ago and ruined his And
that's why.

Speaker 2 (01:08:22):
And when I said what I said about Burrow, what
was the record of the Bengals, Guys, there were three
and eight, but they had you right, But they happened
to go on and win the game and then winning
and so it makes it look like, oh, this is smart.

Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (01:08:34):
But Jaden Daniels, there is no way in hell he
would be on the field for me. You pull him
aside with no cameras and no phones.

Speaker 1 (01:08:42):
You the owner, the.

Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
VP is saying, look, young Buck, you are the future.
Here it's a wash, here, it's a washer. Let's let
Marcus just get his last days in the sun. Let's
let Marcus get his last days in the sun. Let's
heil up. Let's fix some things around here. Mclaur it started.
Let's go back to the off season with McLaurin. Hell, Yeah,
I said, here goes Washington's year. When big time guys

(01:09:04):
hole it's going to It's just it's just the way
it happens.

Speaker 9 (01:09:07):
Feel like the shine is kind of off of Jayden
Daniels too, well, it is to be the next big thing,
but he's going to kind of get left in the
dust if the Bears somehow hold on and make the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
And you got Drake, think about this guy. So a
year ago, obviously, Jayden Daniels, he didn't just have a
great rookie season like it was like Historis unbelievable, unbelievable.
But now when you look at that draft class, Caleb
Williams heading toward the playoffs right now, bo Nicks heading

(01:09:38):
to the playoffs right exactly, Drake by playoffs, heading to
the playoffs right now. Uh, you know, obviously Pennix is
out for the year, and then you have JJ McCarthy's
been hurt for much of the year. So but by
the when it's all said and done, you know, five
years in, when we look back at a very celebrated
six picks in the first twelve quarterbacks never happened in

(01:10:00):
the history for the NFL Draft, Which quarterback will be
standing at the top of that list impossible to predict.

Speaker 9 (01:10:06):
Now, Yeah, I think it kind of went the exact
way that pre draft prognosticators thought it would. Though you
had Caleb Williams and Drake may As your one A
and one Juliet. You had Jayden Daniels behind both of them.
Then you had the mix of Nix McCarthy and Penix
and Penix. I'm sorry. If there's any guy that's not
going to work out long term, it's very clearly Michael
Pennix because this is what like the sixth time.

Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
Well he's had injuries that he's it's just been crazy
because he had nothing but injuries at Indiana and then
you know, he goes to Washington, had two healthy years
and you're like, Okay, he's.

Speaker 2 (01:10:37):
Got and if they fire his coach, now that reset
starting all your start that resets again.

Speaker 1 (01:10:43):
Also so with Penix, it's yeah, which they can't even.

Speaker 10 (01:10:47):
Do this year because they've given their first round pick.

Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
Guys. The Jaguars just scored again, second touchdown passer Trevor
Lawrence is they're going to blow out this cold team
twenty seven to ten, waiting on the extra point. The
extra point, it's good twenty eight to Steve.

Speaker 10 (01:11:03):
Are you it feels like this is a completely different
Jaguars team than the like the first five games this season,
like this, I mean, I know the culture now banged
up like fire.

Speaker 1 (01:11:14):
But the thing about it is again, and I was
listening to the guys this morning, being O was really
pointing out some glaring stats about Trevor Lawrence, who came
into this game with a lower passer rating than Geno Smith,
completing less than sixty percent of his passes, which in
this day and age is unheard of. And even today
he's eleven of twenty, so you know, you s's fifty
five percent. I mean he felt like it's even lower

(01:11:36):
today with him at the start of the season, you
say he hasn't gotten better, Well, just winning these teams.
Let's give Cohen some credit, right, You're bringing a new
coach or new attitude, and it's they're responding now. Today
they catch a break because the Colts came in with
a quarterback Daniel Jones on a bad leg and the
next thing, you know, he's got an achilles.

Speaker 9 (01:11:56):
Is there any team that's more screwed in the long
term than the Indianapol Cults right now?

Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
Like they gave away all those saus gonna think about yes, yeah,
they don't have that care.

Speaker 9 (01:12:06):
They gave up two first rounders. Sauce is dealing with
an achilles issue that they don't want to exacerbate. Daniel Jones,
I'm sorry tearing your achilles in week fourteen. Start the
next year. Yeah, we don't know that he tore his achilles.
He was limping off the field.

Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
He walked off and I made a comedy doing the
commercial breaking Steve I said, yeah, he's tough, but he's
not Covid Cousins.

Speaker 9 (01:12:24):
Kirk Cousins walked off the field too.

Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
Yeah did Yeah, right by the way, Uncle Kurtz, he
cobe tough.

Speaker 1 (01:12:31):
How about this Seahawks opening kickoff of the second half,
one hundred yard touchdown return. Shaheed goes the distance and
so tied at six with Atlanta at the half twelve
seconds in, It's now Seahawks thirteen Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (01:12:45):
If it came about Jacksonville. Also to the guys, they
have a lot of pieces on this team. We focus
on Trevor Lawrence, but in the NFL, it's showing in Carolina,
it's showing in Chicago. It's a system, guys. You gotta
have three things in place. You gotta have competent ownership.
You got to have a good front office that is
attached to the GM and head coach, and then he's

(01:13:06):
got to be attached to the quarterback. That is how
you are successful in the National Football League. Trevor Lawrence
has had to He's really had to muddle his way
through three four different regimes already. That's not easy to
do guys at the quarterback position, and you have all
these other pieces going around.

Speaker 1 (01:13:24):
They paid all this money too.

Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
I'm sorry, who's the free agent receiver they paid all
the money to was the gate was from Buffalo. They
signed a free agent from Buffalo, gave him all How
did that work?

Speaker 10 (01:13:33):
This defense is also like on a precipitous tear. They're
not getting the turnovers that they were doing earlier, but
still they are shutting down.

Speaker 1 (01:13:39):
So they are number one rushing defense, the number rushing
defense in the league.

Speaker 10 (01:13:44):
You're making teams win, and then you'll do this. The
thing is like you shut down the run, they have
to throw the ball along and then that's when turnovers happen.

Speaker 2 (01:13:52):
Right, go to the third down also percentage two. When
you can't run the football, what do you end up
in third and eight thirty seven? Third and eight thirty,
third and seven. That's not that's not a recipe for
winning all.

Speaker 1 (01:14:02):
Right, Viking's at a field goal. Now lead the Commanders
seventeen out. Dans mess Jayden Daniels, Well, I mean, right
now they're playing a conservative game. He's only thrown for
ninety nine yards in the game. Shut out the other team.
Don't worry about it. Okay, we've got halftimes on the
other side. We're going to talk about some of these games,
including the Kansas City Chiefs. I mean, is it over?

(01:14:25):
I mean, are they going to prevail at home? At
home against the Houston Texans, A team very much in
the playoff picture. Will break it down. This is end
Zone Radio. Allen back to pass fires.

Speaker 6 (01:14:37):
K K touchdown Buffalo a six yard touchdown reception. Welcome
back Jaltan Kink after a four game absence.

Speaker 7 (01:14:49):
The tight end.

Speaker 6 (01:14:50):
Scores his fifth receiving touchdown of the season.

Speaker 1 (01:14:54):
That's w g R five to fifty Bills Radio Network
Bills right back in this game. Trail the Bengals by
a score of twenty one to eighteen, eight minutes to
go in the third quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:15:04):
There.

Speaker 1 (01:15:04):
Once again, this is end Zone Radio in the Fox
Sports Radio studios. If you miss any of today's show,
you want to check out the podcast. I Just search
Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts, and then
right after the show, today's podcast will be posted, followed
the podcast rated five stars. You can even provide a review. Again,
just search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcast

(01:15:26):
and to find today's full show posted right after we
get off the air. All right, So the Seahawks, so
that thirteen to six lead over the Falcons, Browns over
the Titans, seventeen fourteen, Vikings Lee the Commanders seventeen to nothing, Dolphins, Jets,
Dolphins up twenty four to seven at the half. Buccaneers, Oh,
they need this game and they're barely beating the Saints

(01:15:47):
ten to seven. Star of the second half there, Jaguars
over the Colts twenty eight to ten as Daniel Jones
is out for the rest of the game with Achilles injury,
and Steelers leading the Ravens by a score of seventeen
to nine. All right, So this game coming up later
between the Chiefs and the Texans tonight. The Chiefs are
at six and six. As we mentioned, they need to

(01:16:08):
win out and they need help because they lose tie
breaks with several teams currently ahead of them right now. Meanwhile,
the Texans are on a roll, and it's been their defense.
They are literally number one in just about every major
statistical total defense, scoring defense, and it seems like, you know,
finally Stroud is playing a little bit better, But it's

(01:16:28):
really their defense. It's been dictating things. Chiefs will come
into this game with a banged up offensive line, so
it's going to be tough. But where do you sit
right now with the Kansas City Chiefs? You know, I've
made it clear where I stood from the beginning of
the year, so it's not like I'm changing my tune.
But are you feeling like this season is an aberration?

(01:16:48):
Is it a sign of things to come? Can they
still rally and you know, shock the world, win five
in a row and then do their usual damage in
the postseason? Where are you right now with this Chiefs team?

Speaker 2 (01:17:00):
They don't have enough firepower to do their damage in
the postseason. I am out on them once the E
the lowercase E is next to their name, Yes, that
they've been eliminated, because you still have the best quarterback
in football. You still got one five and you still
have in my opinion, a top five could be top
three NFL head coach of all time and Andy Reid.

(01:17:23):
Now that doesn't mean that that's going to be enough
for them, because you need eleven guys on defense, eleven
on offense, and eleven on special teams, plus everybody else
that helps.

Speaker 1 (01:17:31):
You win or contributes to you losing the football game.

Speaker 2 (01:17:35):
This defense needs to get back to Spags level type
defense because Dallas did kind of cut right through them
on Thanksgiving Day. Dallas cut right through this defense.

Speaker 1 (01:17:44):
At almost five hundred yards.

Speaker 2 (01:17:45):
Yeah, right, And Dallas was moving the ball in this defense,
and you're not used to seeing that.

Speaker 1 (01:17:49):
I think it is also too We talked about this.

Speaker 2 (01:17:52):
Bow chimed in on this about two or threes ago
and I asked, has the league figured out Pat Mahomes
to figure out the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (01:17:58):
They've also just played a lot of football man over
the last seven years.

Speaker 2 (01:18:02):
Like Patrick Mahomes his whole career, he's in the AFC
Championship Game or the Super Bowl. That is a long
time guys to play sixteen, seventeen eighteen, when he's plus
the playoffs, playing in the cold, you know, getting eliminated,
coming back, going back to the Super Bowl, winning one,
losing one, like that's a lot and I just think
it's a lot of wear and tear on them, but

(01:18:23):
I will not have them out until I see the
e which is what I've always said all year long.
Quick sidebar, you talk about the Browns and should doure.
Is it true that I'm seeing a report that Watson
is set for a Browns return in twenty six So
there's your answer right there. There's your answer right there.
They're gonna move on with Deshaun Watson. And why the

(01:18:44):
hell did you.

Speaker 1 (01:18:47):
Believe it?

Speaker 3 (01:18:48):
I know that.

Speaker 1 (01:18:49):
I just I just mean he's under contract. I mean
he's under contract. By the way, there is the thing
about the Chiefs. If they can win this game tonight
against the Texas, their last four games home with the
Chargers at the Titans, home with the Broncos at the Raiders,
I mean those are winnable four games, right well, tough games,

(01:19:11):
the Chargers and Broncos rematches, both at home, and then
you play arguably the two worst teams in the league,
and the Titans and Raiders on the road. You have
them out. So I have them out. So saying this
because I have to, I think they're gonna lose tonight.
I think the Texans defense is gonna be too much.
I think they get. I think they get tonight's game.

Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
The Texas defense is tough, but the Texas offense is
going to be a problem if Spags defense shows up
and Nicole, because it's gonna be cold out there, SPACs
defense shows up. You're asking me to believe that CJ
shot in this offense can just turn the club back.
I think Nico have a big day. He's having a
great year. But that's a I mean, that's about it, man.

(01:19:50):
It's it's up and down with this offense.

Speaker 1 (01:19:52):
By the way, people are pouring money in on the
Seahawks to win the Super Bowl. They just touchdown pass
for the Seahawks. So after a miserable first half, tied
at six, boom boom, touchdown, touchdown, Seahawks taking command on
this game on the road against the Atlanta Falcons. And yeah,
all of a sudden, people are like, wow, what are

(01:20:12):
the odds on the Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (01:20:13):
Yeah, I just like I said, it feels like Vegas
is trying to bring in. They just don't seem like
a Super Bowl kids at the defense is I'm just
not sure the offense can be sustainable.

Speaker 1 (01:20:23):
All Right, we got more on the games coming up
later this afternoon. Eight games and we get ready for
you the No Huddle Hour. This is end Zone Radio.
We're getting serious, folks, Week fourteen around the National Football League.
Eight games in progress right now, storylines with every single
one of these games. We're in the Fox Sports Radio
studios here on end Zone Radio, Steve Harbin VJ. Husky

(01:20:47):
serving it up to you with all the scores, the stats,
the analysis, everything you need. And yes, it is the
No Huddle Hour. Do you know what time it is?
No Huddle Hour? Yes, this is what Thank you very much, Hud.
Guess he just put the lead. The Saints have just

(01:21:07):
taken a fourteen to ten lead at Tampa. No Huddle Hour. Wow.
And by the way, Baker Mayfield struggling today BJ eleven
to twenty only one hundred and ten yards passing, shuck
hanging in there. He's even run for a touchdown. Uh
so the Bucks with it? You know again, the Falcons
are losing. It's an off week for the Panthers. Now,

(01:21:28):
remember if the Buccaneers lose today, I mean it'd be disastrous.
But if they lose today at home to the Saints,
they would be tied with Carolina. Both the records of
seven and six, and we've been feeling that, you know,
we both predicted that, you know, the Panthers had an
opportunity this year. You know, going into there, we were
both convinced is the team that could be right in

(01:21:49):
the mix. I had him as a wild cards and
but they have a bye week this week, and they
could come out of this bye week tie for first
if the Buccaneers don't get things right in this game.
By the way, Pittsburgh had to settle for a field goal.
They now lead the Ravens by a score of twenty
to nine. So it's one of those days when you

(01:22:10):
start really taking a hard look at some of these
teams and which ones are gonna stay in. Controversial play
being reviewed right now. So the Bills trailing the Bengals.
They've been really losing this entire game. It's twenty one
to eighteen right now, four minutes to go on the
third and there was a play at the goal line

(01:22:30):
in which was that Cook. It was James Cook. That
was Cook. So James Cook is sort of reaching out
to cross the goal line and the ball comes loose,
and if he had actually crossed the goal line, then
it's a fumble out of the back of the end
zone and that would be a touchback. But he never

(01:22:51):
gets to the pylon, so then it's just a ball
knocked out of his hands.

Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
What's really weird right before the goal line first sixteen,
which is one of the weirdest first.

Speaker 1 (01:23:03):
I don't understand the call here show I've ever seen.
I don't understand what what is the call? That's weird?
How do you go from all out of the one
yard line to retaining the ball at.

Speaker 2 (01:23:15):
The thirty yard line and making it first in sixteen?
I don't think I have to hear what he had
first in sixteen in my in my.

Speaker 1 (01:23:22):
Life, Well, I don't understand it. But the bottom line
is the bill still have the ball.

Speaker 9 (01:23:26):
Yeah, so there was a holding call?

Speaker 1 (01:23:30):
Is that what it was? After all of that, it
was just a holding call.

Speaker 2 (01:23:33):
So I guess they mark it off from spot from
spot foul, And that's how I guess.

Speaker 9 (01:23:37):
The first sight.

Speaker 1 (01:23:41):
First and sixteen just didn't know.

Speaker 9 (01:23:42):
It's very honesthetically pleasing. It made my stomach urt when.

Speaker 1 (01:23:45):
I saw guys during the week this week. The one
thing I was coming off last week's show because we
were talking a lot about the Bears. Obviously Bears coming
into the week as the number one seed after the
Rams lost to Carolina last week. Huge game today, and
I was getting a lot of this stop with the Bears.
The Packers are going to destroy the Bears twice and

(01:24:07):
the Bear and then the Packers are gonna end up
winning this NFC North. We'll coming up this afternoon. The
Packers will get the Bears at home. By the way,
if you if you look at Love's numbers this year,
the one thing that it really stands out with Jordan Love,
He's only thrown three interceptions the entire year. I like Love,
I've always talked to you Jordan Love is, but he's playing.

(01:24:28):
He's not throwing for as many yards as we see
necessarily over the last couple of years. But remember again,
part of quarterbacking isn't just winning games. It's not losing games.
And so he's staying in his lane and the Packers
have just pretty quietly. It's not like we're not paying attention,
you know where the Packers are, but quietly, I think

(01:24:49):
in many respects sitting at eight three and one, So
are the Bears ready for prime ten again? Kayleb Williams
going to Lambeau and win a game. Packers, by the way,
come in as six and a half point favorites at
home in this game. Those surprise there. But is this
a game potentially where maybe the Bears are exposed, where

(01:25:10):
we're getting a little over our skis right now in
the praise of the Bears, or are they going to
shock a lot of people by what they do in
Green Bay today?

Speaker 2 (01:25:17):
Even if they don't win the game, this isn't exposing them.
This is a division game. It's the oldest robbery in NFL.
You got a nine to three and eight three and
one team quick sidebar Lamar Jackson touchdown pass to Isaiah
likely polls within twenty to sixteen.

Speaker 1 (01:25:32):
By the way, I love the fact that he did
not go for two there right? Why why why would
you with the quarter with eight minutes? Why are you
going to thank you so he gets it twenty sixteen.
Don't worry about four more. You at least have four more,
John Harbor, thank you very much for being.

Speaker 2 (01:25:47):
But with the Bears, even if they go lose this game,
that they're not getting exposed as the division game. It's
the late National Fox team game. Our our guys, our
guy Brady.

Speaker 1 (01:25:58):
And keV will be on that.

Speaker 2 (01:26:01):
Man. It's this is gonna show case two young quarterbacks
that are in the next tier of this new coming
of age of these new young quarterbacks coming to the league.
I've always never understood the hate against Jordan Love when
I hear people, Oh, Jordan Love's not this, Jordan Loves
not that.

Speaker 1 (01:26:20):
What are you talking about.

Speaker 2 (01:26:21):
He's got a playoff win, right, and should have had
another one within that year against the forty nine ers.
They're up in that game, one pick goes off receivers
and the other picks on him, but he goes in
and puts up a forty plus burger on Dallas's defense.
And since and since Quinn packets he.

Speaker 1 (01:26:35):
Didn't play well in the playoff last year.

Speaker 2 (01:26:37):
Right, he didn't play well in the playoff last year.
But we see that with a lot of quarterbacks. We
just like to pick and choose who we want to
kind of really hang it on. I mean, we talk
about this with Sam Darnald. One good year out of
the last eight, and all of a sudden.

Speaker 1 (01:26:49):
You have it out for Sam Darnal.

Speaker 2 (01:26:51):
You you gotta have him, you gotta have no I
just have it out for anybody that's got one year
out of eight and he's so called is now a
ride because again.

Speaker 1 (01:27:00):
A lot of people think that the Vikings made a mistake.
I've never I was.

Speaker 2 (01:27:04):
I didn't like Sam dardar usc This is this is
way before I laughed when the judge drafted him. I
was sitting right. I laughed when the judge drafted him.
It is when I first started here anyway, nor here,
nor there. Caleb Williams in this in his game today
the Bears, in his game today with the Packers. This
is to me, this doesn't tell what either team is
deficient as either one go ahead jump in on this one.

Speaker 1 (01:27:25):
I looking at this bill happened. I think we had
a turnover here, and we had a fumble by the
Bills at the goal line recovered in the end zone
by the Bengals. So after all of that, the Bills
end up with nothing. Bengals still lead to twenty one
to eighteen, as Cook it. And then by the way,
the snow is starting to fall again. It stopped at halftime.

(01:27:46):
Now the snow is coming back in Buffalo gets stripped
at the ball and the Bills lose the ball in
the end zone. So after all that it was a touchback. Essentially,
I was gonna say, you know what that is, That's
called the football gods and karma. Right, So it touched
back before it ends up as a touchback and the
Bengals retake the leady they have the league with the
three point ly with two minutes to go. So yeah,

(01:28:09):
I mean, you know, uh, did the Ravens walk up here?

Speaker 5 (01:28:11):
Buddy?

Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
Did the Ravens walk up a little bit? I mean,
this last two drives boom boom, boom, boom boom.

Speaker 1 (01:28:16):
Right down the field. Well, it's down touchdown again, the
Ravens at home. The season's on the line right now.
You have to win this game. Even if Lamar Jackson
is fifty percent, he's still elite both sixes and he
have to figure out a way to win this game.
So Steelers and the Ravens. Right now, Ravens are kicking
off to the Steelers trailing by a score of twenty

(01:28:38):
to sixteen, seven and a half, ten minutes to go
in the third quarter of that game. That long way
to go.

Speaker 2 (01:28:43):
Also, really quick, you're talking about the bang are the
Buccaneers They've been banged up. They're up seventeen fourteen.

Speaker 1 (01:28:48):
Now they regain the lead. By the way, as soon
as they heard me say something nagative, they said, we
got to score.

Speaker 2 (01:28:53):
Well, the same thing with the Ravens, right, but this
tea has been banged up. Mike Evis has been banged up.
Ibukus also missed some time. And you know, you know,
Big Baker's not going to be right the rest of
the year. That injury that he took here against the
Rams here and so far. Come on, you come out
with your arm in a sling like that, you and
you can come out and play next week. But we
know you're not the same guy. I do think, I

(01:29:13):
do think that the Panthers are gonna win this division
and get a home playoff game, and you have to
play that defense. And the young Bryce young and uh
and their young rookie receiver right at Arizona.

Speaker 1 (01:29:24):
I can never pronounce that. Kids, Fine, I know it's
there's a tea at the start, Yeah right, yeah, no,
that's not even a nice.

Speaker 2 (01:29:33):
Can you pronounced the receiver the rookie from Arizona Row.

Speaker 1 (01:29:44):
By the way, guys, Miles Garrett has had a sack today. Yeah, yeah,
he got that early, I know, but he hasn't had
one since.

Speaker 2 (01:29:53):
I didn't think he'd get three and a half to now. No, no, yeah,
I didn't think you get three and a half. So
he'll be he'll break the record, but I didn't think
it would be. You know, I don't think he'll get
three and a half today.

Speaker 1 (01:30:03):
And I tell you this the reason. And they said
that who are they playing? Broll teams?

Speaker 2 (01:30:07):
Also to remember this, teams are like next week you
talk about somebody that takes a lot of sacks, bo,
He's gonna chase down your boy next Sunday.

Speaker 1 (01:30:14):
They got the Bears next week and there.

Speaker 9 (01:30:16):
Doesn't take that many sex.

Speaker 1 (01:30:17):
No, but he's gonna But he likes to move around.

Speaker 2 (01:30:20):
Not this year. He likes to move around a lot older.
He likes to improvise a lot and Garrett, and Garret's
one of those guys that just keeps coming and coming
and coming against He could break it next week and
then the following week they're home against the Bills. Josh
Allen likes to run around, so he'll break it. He'll
break it on one of those two guys. But you
also got to know these teams he's going against, they
don't want him breaking a record against them, these tackles

(01:30:42):
will they'll block a little harder, they'll they'll play a
little tougher, they'll play a little harder.

Speaker 1 (01:30:46):
I just don't. I don't. I don't think. I didn't
think he's gonna get it to that.

Speaker 2 (01:30:49):
I have to say he gets it by the twenty
first of December, and that's the game against the Bills
at home.

Speaker 1 (01:30:54):
Yeah, it's been an unbelievablear for Miles Scare. It really has.
Although a lot of people would argue, how could he
be a defensive Player of the Year and the team
that wins like four games in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:31:05):
That's different, man, You can you can still be I look,
I'll ask you guys, this is he a top five
player in the NFL right now, the top five player
in the NFL.

Speaker 9 (01:31:13):
I think he's the best player there.

Speaker 1 (01:31:14):
It is so that he's the defensive player. Listen.

Speaker 2 (01:31:17):
I could argue he could be the m v P.
I could argue he could be the m v P
because you can't, you kid, you.

Speaker 1 (01:31:23):
Take him off that team. How many games do they win?

Speaker 2 (01:31:26):
See, that's not to me how they and see that's
the problem with the am VP commerce that's do let
me finish, we do the if if.

Speaker 1 (01:31:33):
No, no, we can't do if. What we can go
by is what's happening.

Speaker 2 (01:31:37):
Okay, And there's not a clear cut offensive player.

Speaker 1 (01:31:40):
Who's the MVP? Okay?

Speaker 3 (01:31:42):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:31:42):
No, here here's there are two different things. First of all,
I agree my point on the Miles I didn't finish
Miles Garrett. When you talk about defensive player the year
an offensive player there, that is a stats driven category.
It's not a team thing. Most valuable player is because
the idea with the most valuable player is most valuable

(01:32:04):
player to his team. Take him off that team? How
do they look? That's why I have a very hard
to see baseball. The one thing about the NFL, you
have these separate awards. They are to reward guys. You
know they have phenomenal statistical years, running backs. You know,
offensive Player of the Year Cooper cop that one. You're
offensive player, defensive player, sack leaders, guys like that. Most

(01:32:25):
valuable player, though, is the guy that makes the biggest
difference by his presence on the team. Take him off
the team. Okay, So then who's your MVP. I don't
think we have a clear cut run right here, right now,
right now, I think Matthew Stafford to me has a
slight edge, but it's not etched and stone by any
stretch in the maturation.

Speaker 2 (01:32:45):
But to answer to my question again is why can't
it be Miles Garrett if you take he has the
biggest impact on the Cleveland Browns, Like if you take
him off that team, they might be winless if you
take him.

Speaker 1 (01:32:58):
Because the defense does give them abarts. My point is
if I take if I take Matthew Stafford off the
Rams Stintson minute, baby, Yeah, exactly. So no, you take
them off instead of nine and three, may be three
and nine. Who Matthew Stafford?

Speaker 2 (01:33:14):
You think if you take master, there're three and nine
with three and nine with.

Speaker 1 (01:33:17):
Stetson Betty, Yes, With all right, coming up, like the
variable if if they are within those One thing about
the NFL, you do have awards offensive and defensive player
year to reward those statistical years. Guys have two thousand
yards rushing or something like that. Most vivable player to
me is again the difference between wins and losses. All
right coming up on the other side, would continue on

(01:33:39):
here on the no huddle hour to keep our eye
on which games are going to come down the stretch.
What are going to be the tight games of the
eight games going on in the NFL. More previews and
what's going to happen a little bit later. We got
it covered at every single angle. This is end Zone Radio.
No huddle hour for fourth and goals too. Hawkinson emotion
to the right, carting back to pass, astball RIGHTDJ bounces off.

Speaker 8 (01:34:04):
Touch j J fucking sid What a tough guy.

Speaker 1 (01:34:11):
Touchdown and the Vikings lead thirty zero K fan one
hundred boy three FM Vikings. The radio network may it
thirty one zip Vikings blowing out the Commanders today. JJ
McCarthy twelve of eighteen hundred and twenty seven yards, three touchdowns,
no picks. Good day for the Vikings. Unfortunately, too little,

(01:34:32):
too late for the Vikings sitting at the bottom of
the NFC North. There's always next year, though, there's always
next year. Once again, End Zone Radio here, Hartman and
Husky with you. We're in the Fox Sports Radio studios.
We were talking earlier about quarterbacks. You know, why put
them at risk in season's loss. Why is JJ McCarthy
out there? I mean what I mean, he's got to

(01:34:56):
get that work. This is rookie here. He's got to
get that work. He needs it.

Speaker 2 (01:35:00):
He needs the reps, He needs the work. The offense
needs it, the team needs it. O'Connor, uh, O'Connell needs it.
Everybody needs the work in uh in Minnesota. I just
think that when any and and let's get rial, none
of you guys are sold on being a franchise I'm
talking about guys that everyone is sold on that they
are the franchise guy at those teams you don't want

(01:35:21):
to versus and Jayden Daniels is the soul, He's the
number one guy in Washington. Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson. Those
are the three names I threw out there that I
would question putting these guys back on the field in
these bad years.

Speaker 1 (01:35:35):
Okay, So you're basically saying if you're the Vikings right now, okay,
And I'm not saying you're saying this. I'm saying the
Vikings are thinking that that we have to make a
decision on JJ McCarthy. So we have to see over
these this last month of the sea. We always talk
about this, right what what are some of the these

(01:35:56):
guys are fighting for jobs? On his case, he's trying
to justified they used a first round pick on him.
They made the decision to move on from Sam Darnold
JJ McCarthy. This is your team. Remember Aaron Rodgers was
begging the Vikings to sign him on. They said, no,
we're good at quarterback with JJ McCarthy. So I mean, look,

(01:36:18):
I'm with you. I mean, there's no reason why McCarthy,
if he's healthy, shouldn't be playing right now. And today
was a very good opportunity and for show him some
stuff and he got him and he's playing really well.

Speaker 9 (01:36:27):
To They still need they still need to bring in
a veteran this offseason and have an actual competition. But
he needs reps, like that's the only thing McCarthy needs.
He needs to play. They need to know if they
have to go back to the weller.

Speaker 2 (01:36:38):
You're not going to find that out. And like we
have once again, we just have to stop doing this
with the quarterback position. Whether you like a guy or don't,
are you are you think a guy is good? Like
I keep using this example. There were so many people
Rady to sell to farm O Caleb Williams just last year.

Speaker 1 (01:36:54):
Just last year, before the year was done.

Speaker 2 (01:36:56):
By week ten, you had people saying he's a bus
he's not this, he's not and then we do this
every year. Can we give teams time to develop quarterbacks?
Because even Peyton Manning walked into this league and through
twenty nine or twenty eight interception as a rookie.

Speaker 1 (01:37:14):
But no one thought, oh, well, no, no, you.

Speaker 9 (01:37:16):
I think the path going forward is doing what the
Packers did. We put so much emphasis on rookie contracts
where you have to be great from the start. You
need McCarthy for all intentsive purposes, probably should have been
sitting on the bench behind Sam Donald this year and
learning how to play the NFL game.

Speaker 1 (01:37:31):
While he would play. Assume that he did.

Speaker 9 (01:37:32):
That last year and he couldn't because he couldn't do
anything last year physically like that. That was a bad
calculus on their part. But Caleb hasn't been great this year.
I wouldn't say that quarterback. But they're nine to three
because they get turnovers and they've turned into Detroit's offense
with the two running backs.

Speaker 2 (01:37:48):
Don't matter though, because you know what, you know what.
People are gonna still say he's notine in three.

Speaker 9 (01:37:53):
Yeah, but that's a failing on how we analyze football.

Speaker 1 (01:37:55):
Right, But no one's saying Caleb Williams, Who right, Why
not yet? Okay, well, hold on, hold on, how about
a quarterback that is nine and three going on ten
and three Seahawks Remember the six sixth at half time,
thirty to nine. Now Seahawks lead the Falcons. Sam Darnold
seventeen to twenty six, two hundred and fifteen yards, two touchdowns.
Remember the Bats start he got off to Now all

(01:38:16):
of a sudden, he's on fire and the Seahawks. So
I'm looking right now at the NFC standings. Okay, So
you started the day with the Bears won, Rams to Eagles,
three Buccaneers for your four division leaders. Your wild cards
are the Seahawks, Packers and the forty nine Ers. Even

(01:38:37):
with their win over the Cowboys on Thursday, the Lions
are still on the outside looking in Panthers or try
to hang on to a slot. But you know, the
Seahawks get that rematch against the Rams in Seattle Thursday night,
and if they win that game, they retake first place
in the NFC West, And if.

Speaker 2 (01:38:57):
They lose, they're on a row for a playoff, and
no one here is going to pick them to go
on the road and beat no NFC team in a play.

Speaker 1 (01:39:04):
But let's flip that. Let's say they beat the Rams.

Speaker 2 (01:39:06):
Okay, if they won't, though, I'll take the Rams right
now in Seattle. Yeah, right now, this year number one team.

Speaker 1 (01:39:11):
But by the way, let's remember Darnold threw what four
picks in that game against the Rams, and the Rams
barely won that game.

Speaker 2 (01:39:18):
Yeah, last second, miss fairly won that game, won or
lost at home Rams.

Speaker 9 (01:39:22):
The Rams have zero margin for error and they just
lost to the Panthers. Yeah, they lost to the Panthers
in that game. They couldn't lose that game. I think
losing that game probably killed Stafford's chances for winning the
MVP unless he wins in Seattle. But I don't think
they're going to go to Seattle and win that game.

Speaker 1 (01:39:36):
They'll still win the MVP if they went out. Well, yeah,
but I don't think that, Steve. I don't think. I do.
I do.

Speaker 2 (01:39:43):
I think because that defense is playing really well, that
defense is playing great. I do defense travels, and they
run the football run a game of defense travels. Yes,
we sat here and watched the game last week. Listen,
they put up thirty right, But yeah, what you are
flying West Coast teams flying back east. That what nontunds
and it's in. It just doesn't go well for the
West Coast team. So that we could talk it up

(01:40:04):
is that we saw that white. We saw that twice
with the Chargers at Giants at Jacksonville.

Speaker 1 (01:40:09):
Just bad looks. The Rams didn't look bad last week.

Speaker 2 (01:40:13):
It's just the Panthers wanted the bounce back from that
Monday night debacle against the Nighters.

Speaker 1 (01:40:18):
Okay, they did that. And let's look at Seattle today
against Atlanta. Yeah, West Coast, East Coast really bad first half.
Look what they've done in the second and they wake
up all right. So as far as the Rams schedule
is concerned, so they're at the Cardinals today. Obviously these
are all must wins if you want to win that division.
Then you have the home game against the Lions. I

(01:40:38):
mean that's going to be a Lions team that is
still trying to get into the postseason.

Speaker 10 (01:40:44):
And mounting injuries on their defense. Kirby Joseph is now
gone with i mean sorry with Achilles. Their DB's are
completely beat up.

Speaker 1 (01:40:53):
So you have the Sea Ryan's at home and then
he had that short weak going into that Thursday game
at Seattle. But the last two games cross country against
the Falcons home against the card.

Speaker 2 (01:41:03):
Are So let me just ask this the throwers out there,
are you guys trying to sell me with Seattle, because
that's what.

Speaker 1 (01:41:08):
It feels like. It feels like what I'm asking you
is if Seattle wins the NFC West.

Speaker 2 (01:41:12):
But they're not, the Rams are going to so then
that question is Nolan void and you're not concerned about
the Rams and having a home game against the Lions.

Speaker 1 (01:41:19):
So it's gonna be tough. No, a short week going
to Seattle against the Sea Hawk team that they picked
off Darnold four times and barely won a game at home.

Speaker 2 (01:41:28):
All right, now, sitting here and taking the Rams at Seattle,
I'm sitting here telling this is that's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (01:41:33):
That's still two weeks away. We got a long way
to go.

Speaker 3 (01:41:35):
I know.

Speaker 9 (01:41:35):
But it's funny to do all this too. And the
forty nine ers are just right there hanging around with
the tall there.

Speaker 1 (01:41:41):
But you know it's gonna happen to them. Mark Mark
Christ mccalf bro he's gonna get warm.

Speaker 2 (01:41:47):
He is getting when you watch the when you watch
them play, he's not only carrying the load, he's taking
some real massive guys.

Speaker 1 (01:41:54):
Guys, and it's.

Speaker 10 (01:41:55):
Gonna wear on them about that Niner schedule to get
to the end of the year tightens a now Daniel
Jones lest Colts th Airs.

Speaker 1 (01:42:03):
At home, Seahawks at home. I mean, come down to
that last game right where the forty nine ers are
hosting the Seahawks week eighteen. Oh, this is the best?
Is pretty gonna go out and throw three more perst half?
They have no idea. It's one of those teams we got.
We got to just take it one game at a time. Cliche. Yes,
it's the fact. All right, Let's find out what's trending

(01:42:24):
right now. She's not taking a one game at times.
She has eight games to take care of, plus everything
else going on in the world of sports. He insanely busy,
montsigal Hi.

Speaker 7 (01:42:32):
It's been a busy morning. These games have been fun.

Speaker 8 (01:42:34):
So that's good for us that we're not talking about
a bunch of blowouts and that these games, you know,
are done as sometimes we experience week to week. We'll
start with the Seahawks and the Falcons, because the Seahawks
offense was a snooze fest in the first half. Couldn't
get a touchdown, just field goals, but they have come
alive in the second half.

Speaker 7 (01:42:53):
In fact, their defense has come.

Speaker 8 (01:42:55):
Alive too, because Kirk Cousins just throw an interception, so
Seattle got the ball back there. Of thirty to nine
early in the fourth quarter, Sam Darnold in the second
half has thrown two touchdown passes. One of them went
to Jackson Smith and Jigba and the other to Cooper Cup.
So that is how Seattle is doing right now. The
Bengals have extended their lead as Joe Burrow connected with
Mike Zecki and the Bengals now are up on the

(01:43:17):
Bills twenty eight to eighteen with less than nine minutes
to go in the game. In Buffalo, the Browns are
now losing to the Tins at home twenty one to seventeen,
as Tony Pollard got in the end zone once again
his seventeen carries one hundred and fifty two yards and
two touchdowns, while Shador Sanders is having a good game
himself twelve of twenty four two hundred and twenty seven yards,

(01:43:37):
two touchdowns, But Browns are losing again twenty one to seventeen.

Speaker 7 (01:43:40):
Late in the third quarter.

Speaker 8 (01:43:42):
Commanders have not done much offensively and not much done
at all against the Vikings, losing Jayden Daniels to a
left elbow injury. Yes, they also lost tight end zach Ertz,
who was carted off with a leg injury. Vikings shutting
them out thirty one zero. With about eight minutes to go,
Dolphins and Jets are about to start the fourth quarter.
Miami is up twenty four to seven. Miami scored those

(01:44:03):
twenty four points in the first half, have not scored
anything in the second half.

Speaker 7 (01:44:07):
The Saints and the Buccaneers. It's wet in Tampa. They're
tied at seventeen.

Speaker 8 (01:44:10):
Early in the fourth quarter, the Steelers in the end
zone again, Jalen Warren with a thirty eight yard rushing touchdown.
So the Steelers lead the Ravens twenty seven to sixteen.
They're about to start the fourth quarter in Baltimore in
a game that was fighting for the division, the Colts
and the Jaguars. Jacksonville is up twenty eight to thirteen.
Early in the fourth quarter, Daniel Jones was ruled out

(01:44:31):
of the game with an achilles injury on his right leg.
This happened earlier in the first half on a non
contact injury, so the Colts have been playing with Riley
Leonard in at quarterback since then. Other NFL news Packers
wide receivers Matthew Golden and Jayden Reed are both active today,
by the way. And then in the college football playoff
picture in case you missed it, yes, Alabama got in

(01:44:52):
at number nine the nine, ten, eleven, twelve seeds. It's Alabama, Miami,
Tulane and James Madison. So the first out was Notre Dame,
second out was beat Why you back to you, guys.

Speaker 1 (01:45:05):
I can't say I'm sad about that since I pretty
much have hated Notre Dame my entire life. Right, Yeah,
me too. But the whole Alabama thing to me is,
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (01:45:17):
I think they I don't know. Again, I visit I
vacation in college football, and.

Speaker 1 (01:45:22):
So I know you do.

Speaker 7 (01:45:23):
I have no I have no heart feelings about like nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:45:26):
I'm just like that's every single year.

Speaker 7 (01:45:29):
Agree with you.

Speaker 1 (01:45:30):
The one thing I'm happy about is Miami getting it. Okay,
and because they beat Notre Dame. Okay, they beat Notre Dame. Yes,
that would have been a tough pill to swallow if
the one team out was Miami. Yeah, because they played
head ahead. It was the first game of the year. Yeah,
but it was this season and Miami won that game.
Ill just scored by the way to get back in
this game right down the field, Josh Allen. Yeah, so

(01:45:51):
twenty eight twenty five, this is gonna be a great game.
Down the stretch, the snow was coming down again, but
Josh Allen running it in for the touchdown there, So
twenty eight to twenty five. Now Bengals lead, by the way.

the iHeartRadio app, so you will always have it pop

I do.

Speaker 2 (01:46:32):
I got a question for you and for bow Manci.
You can get on this if you want to too,
because you Herbert's one is your guy. So you wonder
your quarterbacks are here, I'm in here tweet. We have
Brady Manning, I throw Russell Wilson there, Big Ben and
Aaron Rodgers. Would you guys agree over the last twenty
to twenty five years, that was like the standard of

(01:46:52):
quarterback for the NFL. I'll give it again, Brady seven rings,
Manning two rings, Russell Wilson won, Big Ben two, and
Rogers one.

Speaker 1 (01:47:00):
About Eli Manner?

Speaker 2 (01:47:01):
So well, okay, I can if you want me to
throw Eli. I didn't throw him in here though I
didn't have him in there. Well he wont to, I know,
but I'm making a comparison here. Okay, when you think
about that error, though, Eli's gonna be the last Super
Bowl winning guy you're gonna think about now we have
in this error I wrote down Herbert Burrow, Caleb Nix, Stroud,

(01:47:22):
May Daniel's hurts.

Speaker 1 (01:47:24):
Would you guys agree that's this crop of this Okay?

Speaker 2 (01:47:29):
My question is were we spoiled because well, this crop
of quarterbacks even give us close first of all, what
we have in the last twenty five years of that crop.

Speaker 1 (01:47:40):
Well, the answer is, we don't know, because none of
them want anything.

Speaker 5 (01:47:43):
No.

Speaker 1 (01:47:43):
I know that, I know it's a hypothetical. You don't
have pathetical. Well, my question is do you believe any
of them will be a Mahomes? Do you think anyone
any one of those quarterbacks?

Speaker 2 (01:47:53):
That's what I'm asking multiple super Bowl question, That's what
I'm asking to you guys.

Speaker 1 (01:47:56):
As we say all right now, my answer would be no, Okay,
what you got, ye bo. And part of that is
not just them, it's the organizations. I don't see any
organization right now this that seems to have all the
pieces fitting. We've been talking about this all season one,
guys that every single team in this league right now
has some defect.

Speaker 2 (01:48:17):
But when all these guys got to where they were,
we were questioned, think about it, big Bit took over
for who Tommy Maddox who was in the x FL.

Speaker 1 (01:48:24):
Right, so we we we ain't no Big Ben. But
this Wheelers were contenders at the time, right Steelers were.
I don't know if they were Conte remember he started
thirteen and up right as a rookie. But my question
once again, my question, because before that one, it was
like Montana Aikman, Elway Marine. Actually, well they had Neil
O'Donnell back.

Speaker 2 (01:48:42):
And the asking is this this cropper quarterbacks do you
guys trust that we can get something similar now or
were we really spoiled from two thousand to let's say
twenty two, Right, twenty we have.

Speaker 1 (01:48:53):
Multiple multiple quarterbacks with multiple Super Bowl wins? Right, multiple quarterbacks?

Speaker 2 (01:48:58):
Do you think this class of the guys I threw
a lot. There's a lot of guys.

Speaker 9 (01:49:03):
The only guys that are playing right now that I
think could be talked about down the line as like
Brady or Manning or or Breeze is like Burrow. Obviously
mahomes that, but I don't even want to count.

Speaker 1 (01:49:16):
Right, I already have my homes out.

Speaker 9 (01:49:17):
Mames is not Brown Burrow and May Now that I
feel like.

Speaker 1 (01:49:25):
Organization well also an injury issue. Now to me, it's
more about organizational and.

Speaker 2 (01:49:31):
No, he's missed significant time in three seasons.

Speaker 10 (01:49:34):
It's how he plays quarterback too, like he holds onto
that he makes the big play happen, but it will
always happen as he's throwing the hero ball, as he's
getting smacked.

Speaker 1 (01:49:42):
Okay, Okay, so let's let's ask this. Give us give
us the list of names you gave again. What are
the names of current the current the ones you gave out?

Speaker 2 (01:49:52):
Herbert Burrow, Caleb Nick, Stroud Daniels may hurts.

Speaker 1 (01:49:57):
Okay, which one? Which one of those quarterbacks do you
believe would be the first if there are any to
win multiple super I hate to admit this, man, I
think it could be Caleb Williams.

Speaker 7 (01:50:08):
I was gonna save each other.

Speaker 1 (01:50:09):
It could be because he was.

Speaker 2 (01:50:10):
The generational guys. We can't forget just two years ago
he was generatial. That's what we were tabbing him. This
is what the whole talk across sports talk was saying
about Caleb Williams.

Speaker 1 (01:50:20):
So we can't just let and now that he's got
Ben Johnson and yeah, you're right, Okay, Yeah, there is
no guy Brady got for winning Super Bowls because he
didn't have the numbers. There's one X factor in this, though,
It's that we're all those guys you talked about from
that past ear Those were all a f C guys
like the NFC.

Speaker 2 (01:50:41):
No Russe Wilson, Russell Wilson, sure, sure, but rogers to
an NFCA.

Speaker 1 (01:50:47):
I wouldn't put Russell Wilson in that well because I
just know he was. But he was consistent and they
kept getting.

Speaker 9 (01:50:56):
It's hard.

Speaker 10 (01:50:56):
It's easier to repeatedly get out of there. From the
a f C versus the end like this is my
I mostly bring us up in the case of the Bears,
like it's just that NFC and especially that division, and
everything looks to continue to be like that's just a
hard road, and you're just gonna have bumps anytime you
have hard roads. Like the secret sauce for Brady and
for Manning always was we play in the AFC East

(01:51:17):
and the AFC South.

Speaker 1 (01:51:18):
Right exactly. The Patriots every year were like the one
seed or the two seed. They never had to play
a first round game ever. They were just they would
play two home games to get to the super Bowl.
By the way, guys, I got to mention an update here. Sure,
the Saints just took the lead against Tampa twenty four
to seventeen. We're at eight minutes to go. And this again,

(01:51:39):
if Shuck is playing okay, not great, but he's playing
okay for the Saints right now. But if the well,
I mean, look at it, should you talk about it? Honestly,
if the Buccaneers lose this game at home to the Saints,
it's tough. I mean, now they would drop into a
tie with Carolina, who's got a bye week this week
for first place. You know, the Falcons get blown out

(01:51:59):
to the Saints aren't going anywhere, and all of a sudden,
you know, and by the way, today Beaker Mayfield, like
you said, is not one hundred percent. He only has
one hundred and ten yards passing in this game.

Speaker 2 (01:52:10):
And Buffalo just strikes right back again. Buffalo scored again
Christian to take the lead. This looks like a it
looks like a defensive touchdown number forty seven six. Oh
so Burrow throws the picks.

Speaker 1 (01:52:21):
Wow, wow, wow. You know what five and a half
minutes ago, the Bills, who have been trailing this fire game,
have now taken the lead thirty one to twenty eight,
and they got the extra point coming.

Speaker 2 (01:52:31):
Isn't this kind of what they've been doing right the
like they'll pay, they'll play three crap quarters and out
of nowhere they'll put up.

Speaker 1 (01:52:38):
Let's sign of a good team as a good and
bad team, a team that expects to be there pretty much.
You know, fourth quarter comes from behind the lead, walking
through the regular season and then figuring out right once
we get to the postseason. We got the advantage because
their quarterback's been there, right, So that's what the Bills.
I mean the Bills have been this, they're done. Bengals
lose this one four to nine in that division, they're done.

(01:53:01):
I'll be honest, they might already yeah, I mean they're
they're hanging off to see them. Honestly, they actually put
out odds on they had a two percent chance of
making the playoffs going into today. That's what they posted
him at two percent chance of making the playoffs. But
go to four, they lose it and go to four
and nine four nine? Do you think do you think
the winner of that division is gonna have a losing

(01:53:21):
My question is do you do you then think about
sitting Joe Burrow's to me, it's up to Joe Burrow.
I mean, if he wants to play, then he's gonna
puck her. I mean that's that's.

Speaker 2 (01:53:30):
Why with a week sixteen for something to happen to
this kid at four and eleven, I'm just, I'm just
we've seen it just way too many times. This is
a real bad throw right here too. This is this
is right too. It's not even high enough over the defending.
He's a big guy, he's six four sixty five. You
can make that throw. Brother, This that's a.

Speaker 1 (01:53:50):
All right, So we got that game going on, and
of course we get the Steelers trying to hang on
against the Ravens. This is for first place right now.
We talk about the Bengals maybe losing. Obviously the aren't
going anywhere right now. So this is a battle six
and six teams to lead. And we said it before
the game. I said it before the game. Don't count
out Mike Tomlin. He has John Harbaugh's number. They always

(01:54:13):
find a way against the Ravens. And they're leading this
game by a score of twenty seven to nineteen twelve
minutes to go. You got him sweeping them. They play
him again, so you think they'll split it?

Speaker 10 (01:54:21):
Do you do?

Speaker 1 (01:54:22):
You not call it? You think tomn sweeps them?

Speaker 5 (01:54:24):
Yes?

Speaker 8 (01:54:24):
I do.

Speaker 1 (01:54:25):
There you go, Aaron Rodgers twenty twenty nine, two hundred
and eighty three yards in the score, playing well today
cam Ward ten to twenty two for eighty one yards.
Now with I know, I get it. Here's the thing.

Speaker 2 (01:54:35):
If he is, it's just weird how he's the number
one pick and good, bad or and different.

Speaker 1 (01:54:41):
We're no one, We're not. There's like, where's the opinion
on him? No one's saying anything about but the bottom
line is, see his team is winning this game, right, yeah,
I mean this. Yes, this is a big hype up.
You know cam Ward versus Sdora Sanders, Right, they were
battling who's going to be the first pick in the draft.
Cam was in Shudor's false of the fifth round. Statistically,

(01:55:03):
Sedor is winning this battle on the scoreboard. The Titans
are winning. So that's where it's at all. Right on
the other side, we continue on with much more coming
down the stretch in our no Huddle hour, No huddle hour.
This is yeah, this is end Zone Radio. The air
is Bedford gets away from Berrel thirty twenty ten five.

(01:55:25):
Your AFC defensive player.

Speaker 6 (01:55:28):
Of the week has done it again, Christian Bedford with
a go ahead touchdown.

Speaker 1 (01:55:35):
That's WGR five P fifty Bills Radio Network. What a
turnaround in this game between the Bengals and the Bills.
Since then, another tip pass of the line intercepted by
the Bills. They have a second and goal right now,
three and a half minutes ago. They lead the Bengals
by a score of thirty two to twenty eight. Once again,

(01:55:56):
we're in the Fox Sports Radio studios here. End Zone
Radio Harbor and Husky. And so this is one of
those games where I mean, it was twenty eight eighteen
and that, by the way, that was Remember it was
twenty one to eighteen and the Bills fumbled. It was
eleven at one point, right, but it was twenty one
eighteen and they fumbled in the end zone, and then
the Bengals went right down the field up there, lead

(01:56:18):
to ten. So twenty eight eighteen and then turnover, turnover, turnover,
and the next thing you know, the Bills now in
control as they try to put a bow on this
one here, third and goal now at the Bengals three
yard line, up by four at thirty two to twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (01:56:36):
Yeah, just this defense, and not only that, it doesn't
help when your quarterback turns the ball over twice like
tit pass whatever you want it to be. The second one,
you know, is just a big defensive linea jumping up,
putting a big pump in there. But that still you're
six four to sixty five, man, you got to throw
that ball higher. The interception picked six to the linebacker.
You got to get that ball over that guy, he's
five feet away from you. That just that's that's sloppy quarterback.

Speaker 1 (01:56:58):
Play right there.

Speaker 2 (01:56:58):
Sorry, sorry, Joe Burrow, It's just sloppy ass quarterback plying.

Speaker 10 (01:57:02):
We've been watching this Titans Browns game that's been very close. Yes,
Titan just gave the ball back, the punt of the
ball to the Browns first play, they fumbled, it went
right back in a five yard touchdown pass. And I
saw the name of the receiver and I'm not sure
how to pronounce it at all, but either way, I
believe this is now a nine point sorry, eleven point

(01:57:23):
lead for the Titans.

Speaker 1 (01:57:24):
Yeah, Titans lead twenty eight to seventeen, looking for just
their second win of the year on the road against
the Browns. Nine and a half minutes ago. A couple
of notes here, guys. The Buccaneers get a field goal,
so they cut the seven point lead against the Saints
down to four inside five minutes to go there, and
the Ravens got a field goal. So now twenty seven
to twenty two. Steelers lead the Ravens, and the Ravens

(01:57:48):
have the ball. So we saw a was that an interception?
Ba It got bat it back and I think that's
an interception. I think the Ravens got it. Yeah, yeah,
So what happened was Rogers had the ball tip to
the line who came right back to him. He grabbed
the ball, but the Ravens essentially stole it out of

(01:58:09):
his hands punch him in there. Oh they they got
the ball away from him for sure, And so that
would eat that would be a interception, is what it is,
because he basically caught his own pass, which is legal. Yeah,
yeah you can. And so it's under review right now.
But this is a huge play just under seven minutes, Leake.

Speaker 2 (01:58:29):
It's the ground first though, I think Steve right there,
his knees on the.

Speaker 1 (01:58:33):
That's what they're looking at right there. If that's it
before the strip, then it's just a pass to himself.
Completed pass for minus five yards. Wow, that's yeah, that's crazy. Yeah,
a completed pass to yourself. Yeah, it happens in the league.
It's totally legal as long as the ball's tip, which
it was in that case. All right, So we got
the Bills now, fourth and goal. Let's keep our eye

(01:58:55):
on this thing. Three minutes to go in the game.
Bills trying to put this one away and they're going
for the touchdown instead of the field goal, and Josh
Allen looking and looking, and he throws a touchdow open
and boy, some time, and that will put the nail
in the coffin. Jackson Hawk's right there on the receiving end.
So the Bills rally big time in the fourth quarter

(01:59:16):
of this game. And we got some words right now.

Speaker 2 (01:59:22):
He probably doesn't like the celebration. Whatever I listen, I
always say, if you don't want me to celebrate.

Speaker 1 (01:59:27):
You know what you can You know what you can do.
You can keep me out of the end zone.

Speaker 2 (01:59:31):
You don't have to let me score and let me
just go sit in his zone right here, wide open.

Speaker 1 (01:59:35):
Watch how he stops. Put the brakes on. Yeah, there,
put the brakes on. No one's around him. Yeah, somebody
lost sight of one guy just wandering around.

Speaker 2 (01:59:45):
He's just standing there, wide open. It's not a player
within five yards.

Speaker 1 (01:59:48):
Well, after a very uneven day for Josh Allen, now
all of a sudden he's twenty two to twenty eight
and fifty one yards and three touchdowns. So those are
big numbers and a huge win for Buffalo today to
get to nine and four on the season. All Right,
So we're keeping an eye on the Saints Buccaneers game.
Buccaneers still trailing twenty four to twenty against a two

(02:00:12):
to ten Saints team, and the Saints have the ball
in a first down in their own territory, so we
got our eye on that. We'll also get some other
games ready to kick off around the National Football League
for all the latest, keep it here. This is end
Zone Radio, all right, coming down the stretch with several
games around the National Football League, Week fourteen. It's this
end Zone Radio. We're in the Fox Sports Radio studios.

(02:00:34):
How about the Notre Dame fighting Irish. Wow, the big
finger right there. To bowl games we've already had what
was it, Kansas State, Iowa State oles already have refused
any bull bids. We knew this. You expand the playoffs,
all right? These other bowl games is what reason are
there to be even playing these games? So it's an

(02:00:55):
avalanche right now. Could be the death of many many
bowl games. Steve College West.

Speaker 2 (02:01:00):
Two years ago when this whole twelve teen things started,
this is what we're gonna do. What's gonna end up
happening with college football is they're gonna end up creating
just a college football league. These conferences are gonna go Await, guys,
they're gonna eliminate all these conferences. They're gonna make it
like the NFL. We're gonna have four divisions and it's
gonna be called the College Football League.

Speaker 1 (02:01:21):
Did this?

Speaker 2 (02:01:21):
These these these these these these schools that are telling
bowl games, letting NCUAA, we're not going to go to
bowl games. These conferences aren't happy about that. Well and
again with these conferences are not happy.

Speaker 1 (02:01:33):
We've already heard rumors about Michigan US see that they
may say, the heck with this, we don't forget. We
don't need you, we don't need you. We need us
more than we need you.

Speaker 9 (02:01:42):
Big ten and the SEC are going to make a
super league. Clemson, Florida State, any of those schools that
are bigger in the other smaller conferences come over, are
going to leave. The ACC is gonna die, the Big
twelve is gonna die, the PAC two is gonna die,
and you're just gonna have You're gonna have.

Speaker 1 (02:01:57):
What you know.

Speaker 9 (02:01:57):
The talking heads who thought they knew everything about college football, they'
gonna get what they want. You're gonna have Texas playing
Ohio State every year, Oklahoma playing Michigan every year. It's
gonna be great, But it's just the group I've been
saying it since I've been saying it since the playoffs expanded.

Speaker 1 (02:02:10):
By the way, you know who has completely stepped out
of all this, The NCAA. Yeah, I mean they barely
existed to begin with when it came to Division one football.
Now they are completely just walked away. Say finished that thought,
I'm not just what you're about to say, finish that.

Speaker 9 (02:02:23):
The thing that I've been saying since they fanded the
playoff is if I wanted to watch the NFL, I'll
just wait another day and watch the NFL on Sunday.
The college football has just become the NFL. But worse
Like that's all it is. There's nothing that may cast
so fun or entertaining anyone.

Speaker 2 (02:02:36):
Sidebar to what I tell you about Shambless. Did you
guys see the AT and T commercial he has?

Speaker 5 (02:02:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:02:41):
What I say it just they've already made a commercial,
a transfer commercial. Anyway.

Speaker 10 (02:02:47):
God, yeah, I was gonna say, like the other thing too,
is like now college football because of the transfer kind
of has the same issue we've got with college basketball.
Who's on what roster? Like nobody's nobody's sticking around. You
don't know who's on what tea like, I'd love to
start thinking about Texas next year, what they're gonna do
with arch Manning.

Speaker 1 (02:03:03):
But no guarantee arch Maning is gonna be on their roster.

Speaker 2 (02:03:06):
Next The point I made to him just last week
we talked about college basketball, stop telling me by it's honestly, guys,
it's been kind of been unwatchable for the last decade
because what you don't know, I'm a Tarhill fan. We
have a whole new team. Seth Trumple's the only real
returning guy. It is a whole new roster in Chapel
right now.

Speaker 10 (02:03:24):
We're having that with college football. There's so many guys
just leaving these.

Speaker 1 (02:03:27):
Teams, which is more complicated in football because there's more
moving pieces. You know, one transfer can make a huge
difference in college basketball, But when you're trying to bring
in twenty twenty five transfers onto a college football team
from twenty different programs, from twenty different systems, and you
got one season to put all the pieces together. Yeah,
this is why a lot of the old school coaches said,

(02:03:49):
I've had enough.

Speaker 9 (02:03:51):
USC had the number one recruiting class in the country
next year.

Speaker 1 (02:03:54):
Yeah, we'll see, I mean they also have They've had
nine guys in the transfer portal already.

Speaker 9 (02:03:58):
Yes, and that's all I've seen since zach Ry Branchester.

Speaker 10 (02:04:02):
Yeah, we just got ol miss is going into these
ole Misses, going into these playoffs without their head coach
and who is probably trying to raid their roster as
the and without the quarterback.

Speaker 1 (02:04:13):
Shambless is not going to play for them. All right, guys,
we got three games in play right now. Let's start
with the Ravens and the Steelers. Steelers lead twenty seven
twenty two, three and a half minutes to go, and
the Ravens are at the Pittsburgh thirteen yard line, so
they're trying to pull this game out. Saints Buccaneers. Saints
lead the Buccaneers twenty four to twenty, but the Bucks
have the ball back Baker and they got a long

(02:04:34):
way to go. But Baker Mayfield trying to lead his
team back and the Bills. The Bengals aren't done yet.
Bills do have the ball, leading thirty nine thirty four,
so it's still a one score game, but the Bills
are facing a third and fifteen inside two minutes to go.

Speaker 2 (02:04:49):
Also too, right here, this is a touchdown. They're going
to try to screw the Ravens on this. And then
once you catch the ball in the end zone, all
you have to do is come down with the ball
and that's a touchdown. This is a bad buy on
the hard body. Yeah, he's I rate this is a
bad call. It's different than in the play of the
field than in the end zone. Once he catches the

(02:05:09):
ball and his feet hit the ground in the in zone,
but you.

Speaker 1 (02:05:12):
Have to have full possession all the way through still
in the end zone.

Speaker 2 (02:05:15):
Did though, that's the point that that's why he's upset.
He didn't say the rule that he didn't. Let's watch
it again. This is idiots call all the way on
the end of the catch. Oo, that's a touchdown, Steve.
Now he knocks it out stopping.

Speaker 1 (02:05:27):
They're saying that it wasn't I know what they're saying,
but you just you have eyes, all right, So there
you go. Now it is uh oh. Josh Allen scrabbles
for the first game over all right, So minute forty
five to go on a third and fifteen. I don't
even spot him. Josh Allen runs for a first down
on a third and fifteen. All right, Buccaneers right now,

(02:05:47):
down twenty four to twenty They need some Baker magic. Uh.
And again, it's been pouring rain in Tampa, just like
it's pouring rain in Jacksonville. I mean they're down in Florida.
It's been pouring rain all day long, snow and Buffalo.
All right, let's see what the buff Ravens are gonna
do right now. All right, So it's third and two,
we got two and a half minutes to go, and

(02:06:08):
the Ravens trailing the Steelers by a score of twenty
seven to twenty two. The Steelers just called a time out.

Speaker 2 (02:06:15):
I told Steve doing the break, Ravens are gonna come
back and win this game, doing the commercial bar s.

Speaker 1 (02:06:19):
They'renna come back and win.

Speaker 2 (02:06:20):
This game because the Steelers, they could have put this
game away, and Lamar Jackson is still dangerous enough.

Speaker 1 (02:06:26):
You don't want to leave him. It's like Pat Maholmes, right,
you just don't want to leave them in the game
if you want a chance to get them away.

Speaker 2 (02:06:31):
Solf here, I think they're gonna win this game right here,
third and two from.

Speaker 1 (02:06:35):
The fourth even if they score here. This is how
Mike Tomlin operates. No matter who his quarterback. He touched
down waiting the Ravens. It's on three steps, he's on
his third step and then the ball comes out. Come on, goodness, gracious,
how long do you have to hold on?

Speaker 10 (02:06:51):
You?

Speaker 1 (02:06:51):
Remember the Megatron catch? I guess the Bears open over?
Remember that, dude, like they ruled that an in complete pass?
Stee all right? The final second are officially ticking off,
So the Bills do defeat the Bengals by a score
of thirty nine thirty four. Borough throws for four touchdown.
It is not enough, as the Bills moved to nine
and four in the season. Big win for the Bills

(02:07:13):
to come back because they were trailing most of that game.
And it is over as well with a Tampa Bay
as a Baker Mayfield and the Bucks go down at
home to the Saints. A brutal loss for the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers that means they fall into a tie for
first place with the Carolina Panthers. Meanwhile, the Ravens are

(02:07:34):
still struggling. What is going on here? At number one?
Bad play call? But there's a flag here, could be
a croachman r It's either going to be it is
against the all right, they are declining that to set
up a fourth down play. So the Ravens say, yeah,
the Bills Steelers the same, forget it fourth down, Let's
see if you can make a bapen. And remember they

(02:07:56):
are down five, so if field goal is not going
to do anything, they got to go for it here
on fourth and five for the Ravens, so they're at
the eight yard line of Pittsburgh. At the very least,
they need a first down otherwise this game will be
over right here.

Speaker 2 (02:08:10):
You got to just put the ball on Lamar's hand
and roll I would roll him out some way. Just
let him make the play.

Speaker 1 (02:08:15):
Either, right, So they're coming in on him right now,
and he's gonna take off. He's sarting to throw a
jump pass. That's knockdown and that is it. No flags
on the play, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, as usual, will
find a way to beat the Ravens.

Speaker 2 (02:08:27):
Well two well, no, they have three time outs when
two twenty two left. This game is not over yet.
But they got screwed on a touchdown fasted Like I'm sorry,
I've just never seen someone get take three steps in
the end zone and the ball come out of to
be rude incomplete.

Speaker 9 (02:08:39):
You know what, I think if that was an incomplete pass,
then I think running backs and quarterbacks that run the
ball in the en zone should have to get their entire.

Speaker 1 (02:08:44):
Body, thank you.

Speaker 9 (02:08:45):
That's the point. I'm just the tip of the football.
It's a touchdown and when you're rushing.

Speaker 1 (02:08:49):
But I'm one hundred percent behind that. I do not
get that whole thing about the ball crossing no right
now ards short of the goldline.

Speaker 2 (02:08:58):
He doesn't have to get all if the temp of
the ball touches just the white lost.

Speaker 1 (02:09:02):
Of you guys whatever they reached over and I'm like,
I hate, hate, hate that.

Speaker 2 (02:09:07):
But a receiver, a tight end holds the ball takes one, two, three,
then the ball comes out.

Speaker 1 (02:09:12):
Is an incomplete pass, all right? So guys, let's keep
it our eye here. So the Steelers now will take over.
As you mentioned, Ravens still have three timeouts. There's two
twenty two to go plus the course of two minute warnings,
so play in time. The Steelers aren't going to take
any chances. They're going to force the Ravens to use
their timeouts. But remember they're starting at their own eight
yard line, so.

Speaker 2 (02:09:33):
Get the The Raves should get the ball back quick
time out here, I'd call it quick, so I don't
even wait for the two minute warning.

Speaker 1 (02:09:38):
Call burn one right in. They called the timeout, So
you got that seventeen all right? So wow, wow, what
a loss for Tampa today. That's they're losing at home
to the Saints.

Speaker 2 (02:09:50):
Yikes, Saints meet the Panther stuit this year though, Okay
we're in Buffalo, doesn't matter they but the question is now,
I mean, are the Anther is the team.

Speaker 1 (02:10:00):
To be and they're gonna win the NFC South. There
it is this week. Song's gonna be a division champion.
Baker Mayfield was not right today at all.

Speaker 2 (02:10:11):
He's done, not done as far as he can't play,
just his effectiveness I think is done for the rest
of the year.

Speaker 1 (02:10:17):
He can't play it all.

Speaker 2 (02:10:18):
And Evans is out again today, Like I'm not sure
what's going on with that injury, but it doesn't help
when you're number one, WR one, your big guy is out.

Speaker 1 (02:10:26):
Meanwhile, the Titans well on their way to their second
win of the season, the Browns trailing the Titans thirty
one to seventeen. Schaudors had a decent day's under fifty
percent passing He's had a rough finish to this game.
But Pollard just ran wild on the Browns defense. One
hundred and fifty nine yards and a couple of scores.

(02:10:46):
All right, Steelers second down, not much yardage there. Another
time out by the Ravens to stop the clock at
two eleven. So yeah, I mean they could, they could
use up these timeouts. I don't know what the Steelers
are going to try to do here one two, that's
a touchdown. That's why they keep showing this. I don't
know what they were reviewing on them.

Speaker 2 (02:11:07):
Look at there, I say, you should door with a
scrap before a touchdown?

Speaker 1 (02:11:11):
Love it all right? So they've got ways to go,
but still they're trying to make they make it a
one score game here.

Speaker 2 (02:11:16):
Much rather see them fight than give up. I much
rather see a team fight than layover. Man eighteen rolls over?

Speaker 1 (02:11:22):
How does the Browns defense give up thirty one points
to the title?

Speaker 3 (02:11:25):
Well?

Speaker 2 (02:11:25):
How do they get run on like that? By Tony Poller?
Let's start there, like, damn the points? How are you
getting run on like that? And this defense? But what
do I say earlier in the year, when you get
late in the year, man, and you're on the bad team.
Even a good side of the ball has a Sunday
light like this. You're three and nine. There's no way
the Titans should be running on you like this.

Speaker 1 (02:11:47):
By the way, we haven't talked about this game. It's
almost over and the outcome is not in dow. Jaguars
leading the Colts thirty six to nineteen. Jaguars will take
control now of their division with that win, and the
Colts are losing. Daniel Jones and we have an incomplete pack.

Speaker 2 (02:12:04):
How would you throw that? Why would you throw that?
That stops the clocking? You leave them with the timeout
plus the two minute warn Oh my goodness, now now
to see that's Tomlin.

Speaker 1 (02:12:14):
That's a bad call guy. All right, Well again, you
guarantee me a Raven's victory. And the last time I
Steelers are still winning the game minutes to go. Now, well,
they had an opportunity and they didn't get it last time. Wow,
that shocked me. Why would you throw that? All right?
So the Steelers punny out of their own end zone.
It's a good punt and they will take over at

(02:12:37):
their own forty three yard line forty four yard line.
It goes minute fifty six to go. The Ravens still
have a time out. There goes the two minute warning,
so that is off the board, and then they got
one time out. All right, We'll get to the finish
of this game on the other side. Plus games already
underway right now around the National Football League. Yeah, the Raiders,

(02:12:59):
and they shocked Broncos today, by the way, the Broncos
going right down the field five for five. Bo Nicks
just carving up the Raiders early on. This is end
zone radio cam takes the shotgun, snap, looks left, throws
to the in zone head. That is a Titans touchdown.
K shim DK.

Speaker 3 (02:13:18):
With the touchdown catch.

Speaker 4 (02:13:20):
The Titans are up double digits in the fourth quarter
in Cleveland.

Speaker 1 (02:13:26):
That's WGFAX one to four point five Titans Radio network.
But that game is not over yet, folks. Yeah, the
Titans hanging on to a thirty one to twenty three lead,
two minute warning. Shador Sanders trying to lead the Browns
back to try to even up that game with a
touchdown and a two point conversion. We're in the Fox
Sports radio studios right now, getting back to the Steelers

(02:13:46):
and the Ravens. Ravens hanging on by a thread they
have no timeouts left. They sixteen seconds to go. They're
at the thirty nine yard line of the Steelers. This
has not been a well run series. The actually after
the punt which they got near midfield, had multiple penalties
that set up a first and twenty eight, and they've

(02:14:07):
been throwing the ball down the middle of the field
to get yards. Unfortunately, they only had one time out.
They had a burning time out before a fourth down play.
So again, any other play in the middle of the
field is a risk at this point because the clock
will just simply run out. So they're gonna have to
start taking some shots at the end zone here. VJ.
If the Ravens are gonna pull out a miracle here

(02:14:29):
against the steam, take a shot at the end zone
on this play. It would take too much time.

Speaker 2 (02:14:33):
I think you still work the sideline, you still try
to get about. You have enough time sixteen seconds to
still run something in the middle of the field. But
everybody has got to get their ass up to the
line of scrimmage and clock it. You have two plays
right here. Sixteen seconds is two plays.

Speaker 1 (02:14:50):
Trust me on this. You can still work the whole field.
Interesting thing to me is he's just got a clock
and seeing a single sideline pass on this entire series
because they're guarding the sidelines. That's why I mean there's
a single sideline pass and with no timeouts, obviously every
play has been taking twenty seconds.

Speaker 2 (02:15:05):
I throw this, I throw this in the middle of
the field. Still, sixty seconds is enough for you to
complete the ball.

Speaker 1 (02:15:09):
Got a good pocket and Lamar Jackson, he's throwing a
sideline pass with nine seconds left.

Speaker 2 (02:15:17):
You still have another sideline play here. Nine seconds is
still enough to get in. It's got to be quick, though,
it depends on whether you think you could get a
real good, legitimate shot.

Speaker 1 (02:15:26):
But you're at the thirty yard line. You still got
ways to go here. He needed to get in the
end zone, right.

Speaker 2 (02:15:31):
That's what I'm saying, unless you think you have a
legitimate shot to make a touchdown end zone type of throw,
not just throw it up at this point right here.
It's got to be something that you feel like. Any
type of crossing, deep routes, any type of post corner
post type of route to maybe get a safety to
look off. I don't like the formation, see this bunch, right,
I don't like.

Speaker 1 (02:15:49):
That all right here?

Speaker 5 (02:15:50):
Right?

Speaker 1 (02:15:50):
Nine seconds left thirty yard line of the Steelers. Lamar
Jackson is tripped up, and that is going to be
the game, and the final seconds clickoff, and that is it.
Pisburg Steelers have defeated the Baltimore Ravens twenty seven to
twenty two. I told you, man, this is a Mike
Tomlin special. He owns John Harbaugh and he's done it again.

(02:16:11):
So here are the Steelers. Everyone ready to count them out,
and guests are the leading the AFC. Okay, you can say,
oh you want, you guaranteed me. The Ravens are gonna
win this game. I know I did, and I'm telling
you there is something, this magic, some power that Mike
Tomlin has over John Harbaugh, and whatever the reason may be,

(02:16:36):
they just beat him. And today they go into Baltimore
and the Steelers beat.

Speaker 2 (02:16:42):
The Ravens in meanwhile, and that's gonna be that. That's
not face, Matt, that's a face Matt, thank you. That's
another fifteen yards tame.

Speaker 1 (02:16:48):
Okay, So this is the game we gotta watch right now.
So the Browns trailing, they were down thirty one to seventeen.
They scored Why did you go for a two point conversion?
They did. They didn't get it. So right now with
the Browns, they're down eight. We are now at the
Tennessee fifteen yard line. That's definitely a face mass penalty
against the Titans. This is the reason why this team's
one and eleven, folks. So minute thirteen to go right now,

(02:17:12):
and the Browns trying to get into the end zone.
They would need a two point conversion in order to
tie this game. Look at Aaron Rodgers, he's gloatings had
a good Yeah, you had a good dack this twenty
two and thirty four to eighty four of a touchdown,
no picks. It's a good day. A big win on
the road for them against the Ravens. All right. So
here we go with the Browns. Brown's trying to pull

(02:17:33):
this game out, all right. So we're at the seven
yard line right now, minute thirteen to go, Browns still
left two timeouts the left Shador Sanders Rozan he got bad.
It got bad. It looked like I got ship. Yeah see,
I don't like that play call. I just don't. I
just don't like that play call.

Speaker 2 (02:17:48):
I'm always wary about those quick throws to the flats
when you got d Be's and linebackers that jump these
routes like this could have been a pick right here.

Speaker 1 (02:17:55):
This is a great look at this guy. This is
a great play by him.

Speaker 2 (02:17:59):
Man, he just gets enough of it, yeah, to tip
it and throw it off round.

Speaker 1 (02:18:03):
And also remember this, it's you know the weather in
all these games we've had rain, Yeah, snow, I mean
the throw the.

Speaker 2 (02:18:10):
Ball downfield, man, Like I said, you're three and nine
right now, you're trying to see if you can get
your young quarterback to bring you back and get you
a win. Get get out that flat stuff, man, Make
receivers at tight ends, run damn routes, and throw.

Speaker 1 (02:18:21):
The ball downfield. All right. He's gonna throw one to
the end zone right and not open touchdown Browns. And
that's a touch for my mansion. All right. So the
day all right, So now you gotta go fan in
the rookie has been By the way, everyone was overlooking
this guy in the draft, and I'm like, why are
you overlooking him? Do you see his numbers of bowling green?

Speaker 2 (02:18:39):
Well, he was also the one who took the direct
snap last week and fumbled.

Speaker 8 (02:18:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:18:43):
Remember, yeah, he's a talent and on that catch, all right.
So the Browns are gonna go for a two point
conversionaire to try to tie this game up.

Speaker 2 (02:18:53):
That's a touch, good throw to put it. Get it
up to your guy, throw perfect throat. Just get up
to your guy. Let him go make a play on it.

Speaker 1 (02:19:00):
All right, So this is it. This is the game
for the Browns right now, trying to get the two
point conversion. Minute three to go. And let's see what
you come up with here on a two point conversion.
Plant it slant, looks like it could be open world
receivers to the right, and they're gonna have Oh god.

Speaker 2 (02:19:16):
And this is what happens when you take your quarterback
off the field?

Speaker 1 (02:19:19):
What what the heck are we talking about? What was that?
What's that?

Speaker 2 (02:19:24):
Big quarnerbacks thrown for three hundred and sixty yards and
you pull them off the field for two points?

Speaker 1 (02:19:29):
That's him? What what? I don't even know how to
describe display ladies and gentlemen, I don't understand. So they
pulled it was like you know the wildcat right, Oh god,
except the direct snap he took off right, there was
nothing there that he was gonna then he was gonna
throw it back to somebody and that person wasn't over

(02:19:50):
and then he just threw it anyway and the ball
was knocked down and that was the end of that.

Speaker 2 (02:19:54):
And see this is this is what I'm talking about,
was the fans like, whoever call this is if you're
going to run a planet this, everybody had to know
what to do. And obviously, no, no, no, no, no no.

Speaker 1 (02:20:03):
That wasn't It was supposed to be a handoff, That's
what I'm saying. He didn't know what to do. And
one guy didn't know what to do. You can't do that,
so he it wasn't gonna be a pass back. It
was supposed to be a handoff, reverse reverse, and the
guy ran right by him and didn't take the ball.

Speaker 2 (02:20:21):
And and yeah, if you're gonna if you're gonna call
trick plays, everybody is a rule of thumb with offensive
minded people, offensive coordinators. If you're gonna call a trick play,
all eleven guys better know what to do because it's
a trick play.

Speaker 1 (02:20:34):
And obviously someone there didn't know what to do. That
is just unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (02:20:40):
How they butchered that playoff to fight like that and
two bad teams, Well, well, I mean, first of all,
you do have a chance on a nine side kick?

Speaker 6 (02:20:47):
Care?

Speaker 1 (02:20:47):
Oh that's right, Yeah, they do have the on side kick,
so you can try. And we saw this by the way,
it's it's not impossible. It's near impossible. Now the Dolphins, Yeah,
the ball hit the guy in the calf because the
guy wasn't looking right, well, not just him like three
talk about confusion. It was like they were like, oh,
you mean we can actually recover the ball before ten yards? Yeah,
I'm the defensive right, my man, Brock. I picked the

(02:21:08):
Raiders last night to beat the Broncos. I picked the
Raiders even as I said, I said, I know I
don't believe this at all, but if they're right, boom,
the onside kick is recovered by the Titans, and even
though the Browns have two timeouts, that's not gonna be
enough with a just a minute to go in this game.
So the Titans looking for their and looks like they're
going to survive and get their second win of the

(02:21:30):
season barely.

Speaker 2 (02:21:31):
Man, it's been a terrible year. Winning feels good, man,
I didn't listen. That's gonna be a great short playing
ride hole from Cleveland to Nashville, trust me. Even at
two and eleven winn It feels good in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (02:21:44):
By the way, speaking of feeling good, getting chip Kelly
out of that offensive coordinator works for Gino Smith. That
drive against the Broncos six or six fifty three yards
in the touchdown past the brock Bauers. So I get
rid of the guy that was calling the plays who
apparently was sending in the wrong play. I don't know
other how out to explain the Chip Kelly disaster, but

(02:22:05):
without him the Raiders offensive lace on that drive, we're
pretty good.

Speaker 9 (02:22:08):
Do we still feel like the Rams are locked win
the NFC West?

Speaker 1 (02:22:11):
No, I do. I don't care about that one. That's
one drive. That's what I'm not. I'm sorry, you know me.
I'm just not hyperbolic.

Speaker 2 (02:22:17):
The test the time with stands in the NFL, and
it always has bo. You know that you follow the league,
you love football as much as I do. It's not
college in the NFL. The test the time, Like the Bears,
the Bears will continue to turn people over. It's not
gonna go away. This is what their defense does. They're
gonna turn people over. I got I got news for you, guys.
We've been sitting here.

Speaker 1 (02:22:37):
This is the fourteenth week, right, as we can say
one week has nothing to do with the next week.
In fact, we can get to week eighteen and think,
all right, we know the teams in the playoffs out
see the matchups. We got this figured out, and then
we don't. Yeah, I mean, anybody have the Commanders blowing
out Detroit last year in that NFC game? Anybody? No,

(02:23:00):
I had n't blown them out. I was here on
the radio with Martin. We had our shot. I did
pick him to win that game. I thought that because
Jannon Daniels was hot, though, so why went I J
I don't know. They Detroit had the highest scoring offense
in the NFL, coming off a blowout victory against the
Vikings in the final game of the season, looking like
a super hut or not.

Speaker 2 (02:23:16):
And they were also signing guys off the street to
play defense. That just doesn't work in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (02:23:21):
You thought, okbeah, well, they been doing that down the
stretch and then that bye, we killed them. All right,
let's find out what is trending right now? No buye
for moncih Wow, some crazy games as always.

Speaker 7 (02:23:33):
I know, I know.

Speaker 8 (02:23:34):
It really looked like the Browns were going to make
something out of it at the end, but that two
point conversion they.

Speaker 7 (02:23:40):
Were very confused on whatever they called.

Speaker 8 (02:23:42):
So Titans may win this one against the Browns thirty
one to twenty nine as a score less than one
minute to go.

Speaker 7 (02:23:49):
Broncos and Raiders underway.

Speaker 8 (02:23:51):
The second quarter is about to start in Las Vegas,
but it's tied at seven apiece. Gino Smith just connected
with Brock Bowers. It was the first time the Broncos
have a lot of a touchdown on an opening drive
this entire season. Bears and Packers also underway, but their
scoreless still in the first quarter, and the Cardinals in
the end zone first against the Rams as Jacobe Brissett
connected with Michael Wilson, so Cardinals.

Speaker 7 (02:24:12):
Are up seven zero.

Speaker 8 (02:24:13):
It's early in the first quarter. What has already wrapped
up well. The Seahawks improved to ten and three after
outscoring the Falcons thirty seven to nine, where Sam Darnold
threw for two hundred and forty nine yards three touchdowns.
He did have an interception. The Bills survived thirty nine
to thirty four. Against the Bengals. They improved to nine
and four. Josh Allen threw for two hundred and fifty

(02:24:33):
one yards three touchdowns. He also had nine carries for
seventy eight yards and a touchdown, but the Bills had
three touchdowns in less than five minutes of play clock.

Speaker 7 (02:24:41):
At one point in that.

Speaker 8 (02:24:42):
Fourth quarter, Jaguars Cruz passed the Colts thirty six to nineteen.
Trevor Lawrence two hundred and forty four yards and two
touchdowns in the air. Colts losing quarterback Daniel Jones to
an achilles injury, and Shane Steiken has told the media
that it doesn't look good. They can't officially say that
he's ruled out for the rest of the season, but
it doesn't It doesn't look good and MRI is going
to come from that. Steelers hung on twenty seven to

(02:25:04):
twenty two against the Ravens. They now have sole possession
of the AFC North. Aaron Rodgers thro over for two
hundred and eighty four yards and a touchdown, but dk
meck have in his best game as a Steeler seven.

Speaker 7 (02:25:13):
Catches one hundred and forty eight yards.

Speaker 8 (02:25:16):
Saints with a twenty four to twenty upset over the Buccaneers.
Dolphins roll past the Jets thirty four to ten. Jets
officially will miss the playoffs for a fifteenth straight year,
extending the longest active drought in all for major US
sports by Kings Carshal Commanders thirty one to zero JJ
McCarthy not too shabby one hundred and sixty three yards
and three touchdowns in the air, but Jaydon Daniels did

(02:25:38):
leave the game with another left elbow injury.

Speaker 7 (02:25:40):
Also, Washington lost tight end.

Speaker 8 (02:25:42):
Zach Ertz, who was carted off the field with a
leg injury. In college football, Notre Dame, who was not
who did not make the college football playoff he was cut,
announced that they have withdrawn their name from consideration for
a bowl game. Also, Iowa State and Kansas State did
the same thing and telling the Big Twelve Conference so
that they will not be participating in.

Speaker 7 (02:26:02):
A bowl game when it comes to the NBA.

Speaker 8 (02:26:04):
Celtics lead the Raptors seventy to fifty three late in
the second quarter.

Speaker 7 (02:26:08):
Back to you.

Speaker 1 (02:26:08):
Guys, crazy day, John's great chazy day. Indeed, great job
as always. Back at you guys once again, we're in

the podcast is going episode. If you miss any of

review the podcast, give it five stars, and again just

(02:26:28):
search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts and
see today's show. Post it right after we get off
the air. All right, the morning games are done, meaning
it's that time.

Speaker 3 (02:26:40):
Nope, go oh host the Power five.

Speaker 1 (02:26:44):
All right, So this is where we now take an
account the morning games in the books, our current power fives.
I'll get started today with my number five, all right,
and then you will give us your five and four
and we'll go from there. My current number five, the
Green Bay pack screwed. I like what I see with
Michael Parsons right now. Oh yeah he is. He's really

(02:27:05):
getting the roll and he's putting some damage out there
and really looking like the dynamic for us the Packers
were hoping for. And he's turned it on right now.
Jordan Love not making any mistakes. So yeah, Packers getting
ready to host the Bears. I get kicking off right now.
I have the Packers as my current number five.

Speaker 2 (02:27:23):
I was really torn to having the Packers at number five,
but I wanted to shake a little things up. Man
after Jacksonville Jaguars sitting in at number five right now.
I like their three and one record in their division
division that we thought was gonna go to coachway.

Speaker 1 (02:27:35):
Their defense is playing great.

Speaker 2 (02:27:37):
They're over three hundred points scored so far this year's
in office three on the twenty eight. Trvin Laws doesn't
have to be great. He just doesn't have to lose
the games, and that's what they're doing right now. They're
in first place in their division and probably gonna win
that division and get a whole playoff game. Who would
have thought that five and two at home, but that
three and one in that division is gonna stay at
real big. They have some conference games. The division game

(02:27:58):
is still coming up. We'll see where they hold. But
I just slid Green Bay out and I slid the
Jacks in at number five, number four, number four for me.
I put the Denver Broncos there had number four. Dinmer
has been impressive. I have to kind of get off
the bad wagon of waiting to see waiting and see
waiting and to see love the six and old record
at home, which means if you go there, it's gonna

(02:28:20):
be tough. That defense, they've won nine in a row.
That front seven is monstrous. They get after you, and
if you don't have a quarterback that can move it
out of the way, you can't run the football.

Speaker 1 (02:28:31):
You're in a ton of trouble with this defense.

Speaker 2 (02:28:34):
If you gotta go up there and play them there undefeated,
hard to breathe in mile high.

Speaker 10 (02:28:37):
Man.

Speaker 1 (02:28:37):
Give me the Broncos at number four. I do like
what they're doing right now. All right, my number four
right now the Chicago Bears. I'm just again still a
little hesitant to have them any further up at this point.
But this showdown, obviously with the Bears with the Packers's
gonna tell us a lot about the Bears. So I
got the Bears in at number four. My number three
are the New England Patriots again sitting here with a

(02:28:58):
bye week this week at eleven two. That's record in
the NFL. Again, strength of schedule by far, by far,
the wee gas in the entire NFL this year. That's
the only thing holding me back. So I got the
Bears at four and the Hats at number three.

Speaker 2 (02:29:13):
And number three for me, I have the Rams. I
like the plus one to twenty four and score differential.
I just still love this team. I'm not gonna get
hyperbolic because they.

Speaker 1 (02:29:22):
Lose a game.

Speaker 2 (02:29:22):
If are the team moves the ball on them a
little bit. Overall, I'm gonna just keep putting the film
on the see they run the ball, they're tough, they
play defense, they turn you over, and Matthew Stafford has
a lot of weapons to get the ball to I
trust Sean McVay. I cover the team. I see them
up close to personal. We have these little glitches in
the NFL seasons. Guys, when you put the whole scope
out there, this is still to me one of the

(02:29:44):
top three teams in the entire Football League. Number two.
I'm still going with the Philadelphia Eagles. I'm still gonna
keep them there. They've earned that right to be there
in my book, because they're defending champions.

Speaker 1 (02:29:55):
They're probably gonna.

Speaker 2 (02:29:56):
Win this division if things don't fall apart. Now they
are two and two in this division. I do want
to clean that up as far as that's concerned here.
But I just I trust in them. I know they
have some issues, but you know, I'm going with the
team that is the defendive Super Bowl champions. I'm not
sure what's up with Saquon. Hopefully this last month he
turns it on. Maybe he's just really.

Speaker 1 (02:30:17):
Broken and being down from last year.

Speaker 2 (02:30:19):
But I just still have that Tomorrow night, I'll be
there covering the game in so farm close and personal.

Speaker 1 (02:30:23):
We'll get a we'll get a we'll get.

Speaker 2 (02:30:25):
A clear shot at what Philly looks like tomorrow night.
If this is just a glitch of back to back
losses like that earlier in the year.

Speaker 1 (02:30:30):
By the way, the Bear's just picked off Jordan Love turnovers.
All right, Well, my current number two is the team
that right now is alone, is the number one seed
in the NFC. That is the Seattle Seahawks right now
after the big win in Atlanta today, I got the
Seahawks at number two. My number one is still the
Rams until I see otherwise whether the Rams are right

(02:30:52):
now knocking on the door down seven to nothing against
the Cardinals. So as you can see, with my top five,
I've got a lot of NFC and it's only one.
I just think the NFC, from what I see my
eyeballs have seen, are a step up on the AFC.

Speaker 2 (02:31:06):
So is your number one and mine's opposite because I
have three AFC teams with two NFC teams and number
one being that they have a buy. I can't move
them out of the number one spot. Or the New
England Patriots. They are eleven and two plus one twenty
excuse me, one ten as far as point differential, three
and o in the division, three.

Speaker 1 (02:31:23):
And zero on the roll, which means they can go win.

Speaker 2 (02:31:26):
Games, which means they have what, guys, a defense and
a running game. That's how you end up six and
on on the road by week fourteen is by being
able to travel your defense and travel your running game.
They didn't play, which means they didn't lose, but they
didn't win, so I couldn't drop them down. The New
England Patriots and my power five are still number one.

Speaker 1 (02:31:44):
You're five again. My five A game from five to
one Green Bay five, Chicago for New England three, Seattle
two Rams one.

Speaker 2 (02:31:51):
Okay, you dropped somebody out of there. I can't remember
who was in there last week. You moved out of
there and put the Packers up in there.

Speaker 1 (02:31:57):
Veagles are there? Okay? Oh you dropping completely out of it? Okay,
no problem.

Speaker 2 (02:32:01):
Back to back Jacks for me at number four. Give
me the Broncos and excuse me, jacksont number five. Give
me to Broncos at number four, Give me the Rams
at number three, still holding on with Philly definised footbow champions.

Speaker 1 (02:32:10):
At number two.

Speaker 2 (02:32:10):
Right now, I think the Pats are playing the best football.
Are the number one team in.

Speaker 1 (02:32:14):
The league, all right, right now for you guys, Chris,
you know then for both who is your current number
one right now? And you're forget the power five? Just
give us your current in the moment number one, Seattle
Seattle number one, Chris.

Speaker 10 (02:32:32):
I'm a man, I'm so back and forth at this point.
I've got to go with New England.

Speaker 1 (02:32:37):
I feel New England. They feel like New England has
just right now, you're talking about the two teams because
when Seattle's win today, they leap frog over the Bears
for the one seed. Oh, if New England went to
Seattle right now, would.

Speaker 9 (02:32:51):
They beat him?

Speaker 1 (02:32:53):
It would be close.

Speaker 9 (02:32:54):
I just like Seattle's defense, and I so do I
Sam Darnold, I don't. I don't want to in here
and be like, oh, Sam Donald is definitely gonna Pumpkin,
because that that's just not certain. He could play well.
He could not. I don't know. It would be very
cool if.

Speaker 1 (02:33:07):
Seattle went to New England to play that New England. Okay, Yeah,
they're one and two, one and two.

Speaker 10 (02:33:15):
We were also talking in here about like we feel
like there's almost a three way split for Coach of
the Year right now. But between.

Speaker 9 (02:33:24):
Maybe maybe if the Bears in the Patriots finished the
season with the with the same record, the Bears would
be a more impressive slave considering that they've had to
play division.

Speaker 10 (02:33:36):
But that's I think that's why I'm taking the Patriots.
Is my larger point is that Vrabel is one of
those coach guys right now.

Speaker 1 (02:33:42):
The job he's doing with them is extraordiny.

Speaker 2 (02:33:44):
They're six and no on the row, guys. That's that's
my thing, Like that's they would go to. But you
see how you answer that question. If New England goes
to Seattle, you're you're kind of like that, But if
Seattle goes to New England, you're like, oh no.

Speaker 10 (02:33:55):
Both are tough places to play to play for.

Speaker 1 (02:33:59):
There's a reason, are you guys with me? I only
have one AFC team in my top five? Yeah? After
New England, it's all NFC. Yeah, that's the way I
look at it.

Speaker 2 (02:34:08):
I'll tell you guys, and you know I'm rooting for
the first time I put him up there. But I
like at this point ten and two six and oh
a hole.

Speaker 9 (02:34:18):
I just watched We just watched the Minnesota Vikings beat
the Commanders thirty one and nothing. The Commanders were a
two point conversion away from beating the Profress last.

Speaker 1 (02:34:27):
Yeah, right here, and the Commanders dominated.

Speaker 2 (02:34:29):
The charge is going to be a fight, I said,
that guy is going to be a fight tomorrow night.

Speaker 1 (02:34:33):
All right, we will give you more on what's going
to happen the rest of this day tomorrow night. Keep
it here. This is end Zone Radio. Browns need the
two to tie the game. They're going tat.

Speaker 4 (02:34:44):
They're going miildcats jud kints with white.

Speaker 1 (02:34:48):
Heart in the backfield.

Speaker 4 (02:34:49):
Two point conversion to tie back to Quinn shot, He's
gonna fake the reverse. He's got it and now we
may throw. No, we reverses field. Now he throws it
back all the other way to the other side and
it's incomplete. Oh my, what was that He faked the reverse?
I think he was supposed to pitch it and decided
not to. But here's the thing. You got Schador playing

(02:35:12):
so well, leads you down the field twice, and you
turn it into a gimmick play from the two.

Speaker 1 (02:35:20):
Yeah, that was the Browns radio network going what you said, like,
what are you doing? What are you doing? Hey, ladies,
what are you hear that? Fir? I'm hearing that right
now just like you guys are sor Sanders threw for
over three hundred and sixty yards acunda for four touchdowns,
and he watched that play from the sidelines. As the
Browns go down to the Titans. Of all teams, I

(02:35:41):
score thirty one to twenty nine. Once again, we're in
the Fox Sports Radio studios. Of course, our crew is
simply second to none. The great Monci Belognos very busy today,
not one hundred percent certain what's going to happen tomorrow
when her beloved Chargers home. Sure, the Philadelphia Eagles vj
will be you know, it's going to be a sea

(02:36:02):
of green out at Sofi Stadium, that is a guarantee.

Speaker 8 (02:36:05):
Not as bad as back in the day, back in
the day, You're right, but not as bad.

Speaker 2 (02:36:08):
When I was there last year when the the Eagles
came in. Last year, I covered that game. I went
pulling up the so Far I was shocked at all
the Eagle gear I saw crossing the street walk.

Speaker 1 (02:36:18):
I was like, and you thought you were in phil
there's a lot of Eagle fans out here in LA
I didn't. I didn't know. And then you got inside
and I was like, wow, okay, Chris. Always great to
have you back, Chris. Yes, he's in a fun little
excursion up there. Took my mom to her first ever
NFL game for the Thanksgiving Lions game, and wonderful. She
she loved the experience.

Speaker 10 (02:36:38):
I think my favorite thing was that I saw the
text she was getting from friends, and a lot of
them was I was so jealous. I am so jealous
of you getting to see eminem which wasn't even it
wasn't even on like the list for the halftime show.
He just popped up as a surprise. I even heard
like the drop from till I Collapse, and I'm like,
I don't remember Jack White having this in here.

Speaker 1 (02:36:58):
Oh there's there's am Okay, yeah, wow, all right, Well
that is great, And of course it was a great
day for Lions fans. Again they lost. They lost. It
was the Backers game. Oh that's right, that game. Oh yeah,
we beat the Cowboys, and then you did beat the Cowboys,
and then of course Bo well, what can we say.
I don't know where you're standing right now, Steve, You're

(02:37:19):
all over the map.

Speaker 9 (02:37:20):
We went through this entire show and we have not
once mentioned the positivity rabbit in the Eagles locker room yesterday.

Speaker 1 (02:37:26):
Oh happy Eastern.

Speaker 9 (02:37:28):
Yeah, thank you, Nick Sirianni. I'm sure that will fix it.

Speaker 1 (02:37:32):
Okay, you can't say goodbye to Nick Sirianni and Jalen
Hurts fast enough? Are you almost? Are you almost rooting
for the Chargers tomorrow?

Speaker 8 (02:37:39):
No?

Speaker 9 (02:37:39):
I want the Eagles to win the game. I'm trying to.
I'm going to try to buy a ticket tomorrow morning
if it gets any cheaper. But you know, with the
Penn State job closing, I don't really know where Nick
Sirianni could go. I was I was lobbying for Nick
Sirianni get that job. I asked Rich Ornberger to put
in a word for Nick Sirianni. But I guess they
don't listen to him anymore. Yeah, it's not fair. Why
would he go to State?

Speaker 1 (02:38:00):
I don't know. By the way, all those jobs were now,
Phil Vibes, Remember we had all these openings like they
all got philed, even when my UCLA job got filled.
That state was like one of the last ye jobs
and they.

Speaker 10 (02:38:12):
Fell backwards into a good hire they somehow is not
a good hire after being denied by a lot of
people at the altar.

Speaker 1 (02:38:17):
Yeah, there were a lot of people said, by the way,
great hire by UCLA as far, I agree with you.
Jesney is a guy that I mean basically, remember he
Signetti left James Madison. He took over over very similar backgrounds,
you know, from smaller programs. But you still have to
have a commitment from the university. You gotta spend money.
You got to be able to get talent.

Speaker 10 (02:38:35):
I mean a lot of these hires, now I've heard
this theory is like all you like, the big thing
is to win the press conference and the vibes you.
You basically need boosters to decide day one of the coach.
They like that that he liked you, and thus they
will put money into your program.

Speaker 1 (02:38:49):
Here's the thing everyone's wondering about Signetti, like how did
he do it in Indiana? Understand this. One of the
first hires that Nick Staban made when he got the
Alabama jobman in two thousand and seven was Kurt Signetti.
He was a assistant at NC State. He made him
as wide receiver coach. He also made him in charge
of recruiting. Got Julio Jones, got mark Ingram, all those
great players that started the Saban dynasty at Alabama. He

(02:39:13):
was a big part of it. So this guy knows
how to recruit.

Speaker 10 (02:39:15):
No, we got a defeated season in the Big Ten
Championship first time.

Speaker 2 (02:39:19):
Unbelievable he could have even when once again UCLA really good.
Hired to man, I'm close to the James Madison program.
I have so many friends that went there, being from Virginia,
and so many friends I grew up with that played there.

Speaker 1 (02:39:32):
And are debt are do?

Speaker 2 (02:39:33):
Because there's Duke's flags flying all over my town where
I'm from. The Only thing is do the kids here
want to go to ucl That that's you can recruit,
But the kids have to still want to go. And
now you gotta spend money. Well, here's you're not going
to do either.

Speaker 1 (02:39:48):
One Chesney had him in three years and I didn't
know who he was talking about. He goes. The thing
that really sold me in UCLA is in complete commitment
by the fans. I got the fans. You mean, no
one's every shows are have you ever? Have you been
to a UCLA home football game in recent years? So
I don't know if that was a padion or whatever,
but for psychology, he's got his work cut out for him.

(02:40:11):
But I'll put it this way, can't get any worse,
So I'm rooting for him, all right. Rams trying to
get into the end zone right now, and they do,
so the Rams take the lead over Arizona. Get ready
because Dan Byer, I'm blessed everybody. They get ready to
take you the rest of the way. Week fourteen around
the NFL. This is Fox Sports Radio.
