Speaker 1 (00:00):
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
This is up on game.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Fuck bye Hushbazada for the touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
This is the show for you and watch up to
LeVar two with LeVar Aary, Tet, TJ, Hushmnzanna and Plaxico Burres.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
TJ.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
I love the way you break the game down. L
A Man, you were.

Speaker 5 (00:22):
Jacked by my squad number two overall and that's nine
and plaques Man, you were at seven five seven product.
Ain't everybody knew Flaq was growing up around her man.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Three of the best to ever do it on and
off the field, Live from the tire rat dot Com studio.
So Fox Sports Radio, here's pro bowlers LaVar Airing, Tet, TJ,
Hushmanzana and Silver Bowl champion Plaxico Burrets.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
All right, everybody, we have a arrived two hour two.
This is up one game. It's t J, hush Manzada's
Plexico Berts. I'm LeVar Arrington and we're broadcasting live from
tire rat dot Com students. Tire rack dot Com will
help you get there and unmatched selections, fast green shipping,
free road has a protection and over ten thousand recommended installers.

(01:10):
That's right. Tyrack dot Com The way tire buying should
be woo. That was a strong first hour. In fact,
as good as it gets. I think it'll be super
super hard for the next show coming after this one
to outdo what we've done thus far. But you know what,
let's keep the let's keep the spotlight on up on
game for one more hour and let's get this thing

(01:33):
popping off. But before we get going, fellas, how you feeling, man?
Are y'all good? Like? Did y'all need a blow a
break after such a fast paced hard core No Diddyon
intended in there, but it was a super dope first hour.
How y'all feeling man?

Speaker 6 (01:47):
Man?

Speaker 1 (01:47):
We're good? Man? Ready to keep this thing rolling? Keep
you rolling? Yeah? How you feeling stretch? You laid back
to you and your sor day type of feel like?
How you feeling? You good? How's it going? All right?
He don't know how you feel? You don't know how,
but were gonna assume, okay, all right? What like? Super
super good? All right? So so here we go, right,

(02:09):
we have we have Charles Barkley and and he he's
called out T and T leadership called him clowns and
and possibly could take over the possibilities of T and
T's Super Show onto his production company, the NBA show

(02:34):
with yeah, there you go with with Shack, Charles Barkley,
Kenny the Jet Smith, because obviously the NBA looks to
be leaving T and T. They they're not reading up this,
that and the other, and and so we have that
to contend with. I'll start off with you, TJ, what

(02:59):
uh what do you think comes of it? In terms
of how does this show look? You created something that's magical.
It's easily clearly the best desk studio show that's out
there on the market. No one else compares to it.
And my biggest concern as it applies to something like

(03:22):
this is one, Okay, the network, they're destroying something that's amazing.
I get that they're going to make what's best, best
decision for them, But as it applies to a show
that's amazing, how does this impact the magic of the
show if it were to go somewhere else, Like, for instance,
I don't feel like I feel like the wild factor

(03:44):
of Shannon Sharp is now not there. I felt like
the wild factor was paying attention to what's going to
happen next between him and Skip, you know, not what's
going on now. I can't even say I've seen Shannon
in a full show role at ESP since he's left.
To be honest, do you feel like this has the
potential to destroy the show or does this show some way,

(04:07):
somehow find its way somewhere else. Ernie Johnson has already
said he's not leaving TNT. He's pretty loyal to that scenario,
that situation. So how do you see this plan out?

Speaker 7 (04:18):
If Ernie isn't going to be a part of the show,
it's not going to be the same show. That show
is what it is because of everyone. There's not one guy,
at least for me, that makes that show. It's all
the guys. It's the Shacks, it's the Ernie, it's the Kenny,

(04:38):
it's the Charles. To me, they all make that show.
But to me, it should be obvious whoever gets the NBA,
whether it's NBC, ABC, it doesn't matter who it is,
that show or those guys should continue to do inside
the NBA, whether they work for those networks or not.

(05:00):
They got to be able to figure that out, because
I mean, for over twenty years, it's been the best
show on TV when it pertains the basketball and so
that's a part of the fabric, the culture of pregame, postgame.
You're gonna tune in to watch Inside the NBA because
it's just a good show. And if they can't figure

(05:21):
out a way to make this work, that's gonna be
disappointing on so many fronts. That to me would be
egos getting in the way of a show that was
very successful, a very good show.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Its egos getting in a way. And so when.

Speaker 7 (05:37):
Charles comes out and criticizes the people at T and T,
he's just upset. He's upset because he knows how good
of a show that they have.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
And so I don't look.

Speaker 7 (05:48):
At that as it's criticism, but it's more of a
y'all know what we have, what are y'all doing? And
so that criticism is a way to get them to
possibly try and do the right thing.

Speaker 6 (06:01):
I mean, but we've seen this in multip professional sports,
where you know, the contract runs out with a certain
network and another network picks it up. But you're talking
about NBA TNT on the NB. I think they've been
on what for twenty eight years or whatever the case
may be, and it would be you know, you know,

(06:23):
for Bill Simmons to be the one to come out
and announce that tn T will no longer be the
network for the NBA, being that they basically fired Bill Simmons,
so he was the first one to break the information.
But you know, you look at you know, you look
at Charles Barklay and you know he's listen, He's going
to go where the money goes. So basically, Charles Barkley

(06:45):
tuned O what a ten year, one hundred million dollar
contract with T and T. I don't know how that
works out if he still gets his guaranteed money, if
they don't come back to to be the host.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Network for the for the NBA.

Speaker 6 (06:59):
But I just can't see myself, you know, sitting up
after the game, after the ten o'clock game, or whatever
the case may be, because most of the time I
just want to see you know, Chuck and Ernie and
you know, SEAQ and Kenny get on there and have
fun and acting food.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
So I just.

Speaker 6 (07:16):
Can't see who would be those lead, you know, two
or three hosts, you know for the NBA pre and
post game show. It's definitely gonna be something that that
you know, we're not used to, and people are fighting
for these guys to basically come back and if.

Speaker 7 (07:32):
It's trash, ain't nobody gonna watch it? Trying to put
on another show and it's trash, ain't nobody gonna watch it?

Speaker 1 (07:38):
I mean, how is it compared. Let's let's just throw
the four letter word uh TV network out there. It
goes on there. Like listen, I'm a big Will Bond fan.
I've been a big Will man. Listen.

Speaker 7 (07:48):
They don't compare the inside the NBA. That's and and
so that's where it ain't even apples and oranges, Bro,
it's apples and beans. Because the credible is.

Speaker 6 (07:55):
Cable television, so they basically, you know, they can be more.
It's more authenticity that goes into into the show with
the things that they do and some of the language
that they choose to use because it is a cable program,
not ESPN, The Fall, Little World or whatever. If that's
what you do.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Yeah, I call it for a letter I just you know,
because we're on the three letter word network, you know
what I mean, and we're significant where we are at.
It to be no comparison, though, bro, Like, come on, man,
the two shows, it is no comparison.

Speaker 7 (08:24):
Man, It's no comparison. Let's just be honest, no comparison.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Do you think that there's the possibility here in terms
of like the decisions being made. They always say the
show must go on right, Like we were on the show.
We were on a successful show with Whitlock. Let's just
let's make it personal, right, And how could you have
pulled together a better show where you bring guys like yourself, myself, Buker,

(08:51):
Jim Jackson and you name it in terms of a host, stuff,
moving chair, guests, luickally that creates this amazing show and
then you just move on from it. Next thing, you know,
that show is all the way gone. Next thing, you know,
you're looking at it now and it's like, you know,
it just doesn't have the same appeal that it did before,

(09:13):
even though they still, you know, bring you on. I
don't want to like burn any bridges here. But but
with that being said, TJ, I mean, there's got to
be the idea that there there's a show in mind
that I believe it's NBC right, it's NBC's that's going
to take over the rights. You gotta believe that there's

(09:33):
a show in mind that they feel can can be
sufficient enough to carry what it is that they're doing.

Speaker 7 (09:42):
You know, the powers that be always feel like we
can make a show better. We can make if we
added this, the show would be a little bit better.
That guarantee they think they can make Inside the NBA
with Shaq, Ernie Kenny and Charles better. You don't touch it.
You leave it as it is because it's already a

(10:04):
great show. But there's always somebody that thinks they can
make it better. And so when when you look at
you brought up what we did at Fox, and somebody
always thinks they can make it better.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
And sometimes you're right. A lot of the times you
aren't right.

Speaker 7 (10:24):
And so when you have something that you know works,
that the people gravitate to, that they like, that they enjoy,
let it be because in the process of trying to
make it better, you may end up making it worse.

Speaker 6 (10:39):
But going back to the NBA with the you know
those guys, they have no say so in this. So
I don't believe there are a better you know, full
three or four individuals that can you know, put together
a show that the way that they do pregame man postgame.
They bring on certain guys out of the playoffs. You

(11:01):
look at Draymond on there. Now they're breaking Jamal Crawford,
different guys, Dwayne Wade, CP three, you know during the
playoffs to give us more and depth knowledge of what
you know these players and you know the scheme and
whatever they.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Want to do.

Speaker 6 (11:16):
But you know, those guys still want to carry their
show on. But when you have another network come in
and basically you know, double or outbid what the other
network is trying to renew their contract, they basically stepped
back and say, hey, man, listen, we love y'all, this
is a great show, but we can't compete with that.
So that that is what's happening too. Shaq and the

(11:40):
other three, Chuck and everybody else, they don't have any
say so in this whole situation. Tn T is just
basically down out saying and like, look, man, we can't
compete with what NBC or whatever these networks are offering
the NBA, So you know, the shows don't have to
come to an end because we are not going to

(12:01):
put up that kind of money to move forward.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
That sucks.

Speaker 7 (12:05):
They need Ernie though, bro Ernie cannot it can't just
be Kenny, Shack and Charles and they replace Ernie. They
need Ernie work whether like could Ernie still stay with
T and T? But do that show if it went
by way of Charles Barkley's production company, like some of
that nature. But those four guys they just jail man

(12:29):
that that group. It just it works. It works with them.
And so to me, if the people, the powers that be,
if they're smart as I think they are. Smart people
don't make dumb decisions. So let's see what happens.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Oh quote of the day. Smart people don't make dumb decisions.
T J. Hudsman's out all right, listen, that's Plexico Birds,
that's Stretcher Armstrong, yep. And then we got panteen man,
mister Confucius right now, I could dig it man. TJ.

the pitcher's getting clear. Not in my rear view mirror.

of those things with cuffs, the legends. You're listening up

King himself the best to do it well. He does

(14:46):
a lot of other things as well. He's a very
diverse man. He's like a renaissance man of sorts. Yeah
it's mister Isaac Flowing Crown.

Speaker 9 (14:54):
Oh I thank you, LeVar. And in true renaissance fashion,
we will go around the world with this one, beginning
with the FA Cup Final today at Wembley Stadium in London,
Manchester United against Manchester City. And here's what proved to
be the winning goal by Manchester United in the thirty

(15:16):
ninth minute. And here with the call some British guy
on ITV got.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
You other Gate on the second Imokot spikes.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
For Probyna.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
With the Manchester City defense.

Speaker 9 (15:35):
Wow, strong words that British guy spilling the tea on ITV.
But again, Manchester United would go on to win the
FA Cup Final over Manchester City by a two to
one score tonight eight to thirty Eastern, Game three of
the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals, Pacers hosting the Celtics, with
Boston leading the series two games to none. Tonight at

(15:57):
eight pm Eastern, Game two of the nall's Western Conference Finals,
as the Dallas Stars host the Edmonton Oilers, with the
Oilers leading that series won nothing course. On Friday night,
the New York Rangers facing the Florida Panthers in Game
two of the NHL's Eastern Conference Finals. It went to
overtime and was decided here as we hear Don Lagreca

(16:21):
on w EPN.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Drowpa flips it out the center knocked down by getrou
fine strocheck back out the partly good drawna dot partley
good raw our time. We are.

Speaker 6 (16:37):
Now effect the five as the Rangers win it over.

Speaker 9 (16:40):
Time to the on and with that fellas it is all.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Yours, appreciate it. I LO okay, you enjoyed the rest
of your weekend. And let's let's be clear. When you
hear this, you know it's time for our man cuffs
the legend.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Now it's time to check in with cuffs the Legend
from So Dude Show podcast on up on Game Presents.
Cuffs is giving you a spicy takes on what's going down.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
You can take the heat like lebron En.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
Here's cuffs to legend.

Speaker 5 (17:13):
It's go time.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
All right, there we go, There we go from some
dudes show up on Game Network. My man has been
getting shouted out. I saw the Perk shout out on television.
Shouts out to Kendrick Perkins for recognizing greatness. Cuffs. What's
the good word, man? I know there's a lot on

(17:39):
your heart, a lot on your mind.

Speaker 5 (17:41):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
These NBA playoffs are starting to unfold and take shape.
How you doing? First and foremost, bro Fellas, how y'all doing? Man? Good? Man? Good?

Speaker 4 (17:51):
How are you feeling, bro I'm feeling good.

Speaker 5 (17:54):
Last night I saw Slovenian assassin Lycopav a psychopath that
is Luka Dantis thirty two points, He and rebounds thirteen assists,
triple double in Minnesota.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
He snatched a soul last night.

Speaker 7 (18:11):
Because I think it's over, y'all, so can I have
so many questions. It's just about that series within itself. One.
You know they gonna run a pick and roll. You
know Rudy Gobert cannot guard anybody on the perimeter. Why
is he in the game two?

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Man?

Speaker 7 (18:30):
I annoyed that Anthony Edwards is the next face in
the NBA. Man he two three years away?

Speaker 4 (18:34):
Man, Man, Anthony Edwards, I love ad.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
That's four bad games in a row.

Speaker 5 (18:41):
Yes, Man, he's only scored. He's averaging twenty points per
game in this series. That's not gonna cut it. Like
the Michael Jordan thing, I think people got a little
too much chip, like too much dip.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
On a chip.

Speaker 5 (18:53):
Everybody did, like the media, we started to sensationalize that
stuff because he showed us flashes. We saw him driving
to the rack, the explosiveness, like getting above the realm
like he does. But I saw last night and in
game one, Bro Anthony Edward is he's getting to that
mid range around that elbow area, but he's not looking
for that mid range pull up and he saw the

(19:14):
second gets his jump shot. I want a man to
get back to trust of his mid range game because
they're trapping him. He's seeing every type of coverage right now,
but he's been very subpart man. And I just think also,
we gotta we gotta point the finger.

Speaker 4 (19:29):
At call Anthony town.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Oh God, talk about it.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
I call him call Anthony Towns is a seven foot
D'Angelo Russell. What I mean, yeah, like, look at it,
just look at him. These guys are very talented and
that's why they were high draft picks.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
Like Cat.

Speaker 5 (19:52):
We saw him at Kentucky. We saw d lo at
Ohio State top five pick. Right, both guys, they have
the talent that draws us in like they have the
skill set. Like do y'all agree that Karl Anthony town
should be averaging twenty four?

Speaker 1 (20:05):
And bro he got PJ.

Speaker 7 (20:07):
Washington Gardener and he played on the forem like like
the Joker.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
He should be like the Joker.

Speaker 6 (20:12):
What did I say to y'all last week? I said,
the first time I really sat down and washed Cat,
and I was unaware that he stands behind a three
point line entire tire game, and he has no impact
on the basketball game. He was seven foot seven feet man,
he's supposed to be averaging at least twenty and fifteen.
He gets no rebounds, He has no effect on the

(20:34):
basketball game defensively or in the paint. If you look
at what naj Reid is doing versus Cat, he's basic.
Naj Reading is probably a better basketball player from a
skill standpoint than Cat is, and the Cat is supposed
to be one of the top five players in the world.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
What happened and you said it last week.

Speaker 6 (20:56):
You said it last week because the worst thing that
happened Cat was him winning that three point contest a
couple of years ago in the NBA All Star Weekend.
And now he don't want no contact in the paint.
And I'm gonna tell you this, Anthony Edwards is not
playing bad basketball.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
You know what that boy tiede Boss. I'm telling Mane.

Speaker 6 (21:23):
He spent everything in that Denver series to the point
he's looking at it now he's like, man, I am
so tired. He doesn't he doesn't even have the energy
to celebrate when he makes good plays and he is.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
He is getting And man made a mistake where he
called out Kyrie.

Speaker 6 (21:42):
He said, come on, man, can't nobody in the world God,
that man can't nobody in the world.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
God, Kyrie Irving.

Speaker 5 (21:48):
And I think that's why you see at Gas in
the fourth quarters, because Kyrie had that experience and he
knows that it's going to take a lot out of
a man to have to guard him on that end.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
And get Minnesota twenty five to thirty points.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
I think possessions. He's got Luca. He can't do both.

Speaker 5 (22:05):
He can't do both. But I think I think we're
headed now. Man Like well, I love about these playoffs
so far, Like even when I was on here last
week and the week before. It's so fluid right now
where everything is changing from game to game. It's changing
from game to game now. But I think this series
right here, I think Minnesota might be able to get
a game or two, but Dallas has figured him out.

(22:26):
And we got to give credit to Jayon. He is
the perfect coach for Luca and Kyrie. Jason Kidd was
a great playmaker, facilitator, he was rebel guard. He's one
of the all time point guards the NBA history, And
sometimes I think people don't realize that he's done a
great job. He's done a great job with these guys,

(22:47):
and I feel like he's like he's like they're like
an extension of him on the court, you know, Like
both of those guys are facilitators and creators and scorers.
And that's why I deemed these guys the best duo
in the NBA. So that goes back to what I
want to say about what we're headed to. We're gonna
get the two best duos in the NBA in the finals.

Speaker 6 (23:07):
Hey, I think that the Minnesota teams and get swept.
I think they might get swept and the Pacers might
get swept. To it, both might get swept. I'm telling you,
Minnesota does not look good at all, and I don't
think they're going to even play any better than they
did at home. That he's gonna play in Dallas, So

(23:27):
I think Minnesota might not make it back to the
damn Target Arena, whatever you want to call it.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
Jay might get swept.

Speaker 5 (23:34):
Daniels Jayden mcdams did not show up last night. I
think he might have been money laundering last night. But
we also got to give credit to Derek Lively the rookie.
Like the last two games, Dereck Lovely, Yeah, fourteen and
nine last night and in Game one he at nine points,
eleven rebounds. Derek Lovely is a rookie. But what goes
back to what I was saying about Jason kidds he

(23:55):
trusts his rookie backup center. Daniel Gaffer has played well
as a starter. You look at it on the screen.
Derek Lively has had more of an impact than even
the starter Dan Daniel Gacker has had. And that's why
I say Kid is doing a massiful job in this series.
He's making Tomely Tom's He's taking Tomely Tom House Like,
look at the time out he took last night to

(24:16):
stop those runs, to stop that momentum.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
Like Jason Kidd has been great with the rotations.

Speaker 5 (24:21):
PJ Washington playing great spacing the floor like I think
it's gonna be Maths in Celtics, man, I really do.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Oh yeah, ain't no doubt about it.

Speaker 6 (24:28):
Then listen if all the minista Timberwolves, and I'm looking
at the way this series is going and the way
his cat been performing in in this series, an adjustment
has to be made. Tom, I think you need to
if PJ. Washington is going to continue to guard called
Anthony Towns man and man, they need to post him

(24:51):
up and put him in the paint. Starts read and
have him be what called Anthony town is supposed to
be as a starter and he's just the shooting the basketball. Well,
put him in the paint. He has an instant matchup
against PJ. Washington in the post Clai out Rudy gobet
and let this man play the fourth spot instead of

(25:12):
being there stretch for which he's not stretching anything right
now because he can't make it jump out to save
his life. And Minnesota don't stand a chance if Kat
does not continue, if he continue to not have an
impact on the basketball game on the boards and rebound it,
the Minnesota Timboves will get swept.

Speaker 5 (25:33):
I think Jayson Kidd. I think Jayson Kidd and Luca
and Kyrie are laughing them like on the team flight,
because all they want to do is put Rudy Gobert
in that pick and roll and hid the row. But
he cannot move the puppies. So what's happening is they're
trying to play him off the floor. And I agree
nod Reed should be getting way more minutes. In Game three,

(25:53):
I would shake the table and possibly you can't.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
I was starting.

Speaker 4 (25:58):
You can't be at the defensive player of year.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
You can playing fifteen to twenty minutes. I will starting,
That's what I will give.

Speaker 7 (26:05):
Minnesota's not getting swept though, by the way, y'all tripping,
Minnesota will not get swept.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
No, They're not gonna get swept.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
That's not happening. So they're still still win in Dallas.

Speaker 5 (26:15):
I agree with you that because we can't forget that
the Timberwolves. That's the only team we can say that
went into Denver. They won three times in Denver last series,
So they're very capable of going into Dallas. We're gonna
find out in that first quarter or two if Dallas
really want to go ahead and kick the dead body
and go ahead and wrap it up in four games.

Speaker 4 (26:34):
But I don't know.

Speaker 5 (26:35):
Ant Man is due for one of those ant Man games.
I will say that he has been subpar by the
ant Man standard. Everybody talking about this Michael Jordan stuff.
He has to give us a thirty ball in Game
three for Minnesota to have a chance.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
Why did he not shoot that last shot? Like on
on everything you bring up and listen when I say
I've been one of the people that put out there,
I ain't saying he's Mike, but he looked like Mike.
I believe that he ain't Mike, but he looks like Mike, like,
he moves like Mike, he does things that are Mike like.
I mean, whether he turns out to be that next

(27:12):
iteration of MJ that's what only time will tell. He
does look like him. He does have characteristics like that.
His game is fun to watch. He just looks like
he's quicker and more explosive than anybody else out there
on the court. But it comes back to those big
moments are why Mike became Mike. There was a big

(27:32):
moment at least several times in that game, and the
same things that I found myself judging Lebron James on
why are you deferring in this moment? The game is
on the line. This is a pivotal game. You just
keep in mind. Now, they was kicking the hell out
of Dallas, like were talking like all the series is
overes what did But they was beating the ass out

(27:55):
of out of Dallas. Let's be clear. They they walked
him down, they got back in the game. It turns
into a game. Okay, perfect, you have the ball in
your hands. Why does he not like how should we
look at this cuffs? Why did they not try to
put put it, put it to rest and go ahead
and start building his his legend even more in that moment.

Speaker 5 (28:15):
Well, here's what I think Anthony Edwards should do on
the flight down to Dallas today. Probably he should watch
the two thousand and six finals where d Wade was
down two to the same Dallas Maverick organization. Right he
was down oh two. D Wade averaged thirty seven in
that series. Crazy numbers. He was getting to the basket, relentless,

(28:36):
driving to the basket. He was getting to the foul line.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
Ant man has.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
To he needs thirty five. He needs thirty to thirty five.
In Game three, he's been rebounding well.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
He's as sist or high and but I.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
Think he's settling too much. Man, stop settling three d death.

Speaker 7 (28:52):
He got Derek, he got, He got Derek Jones looking
like Bruce Bowen or something.

Speaker 5 (29:00):
Hey, look, Garry Yak has played well for Dallas on
the load. Derrick Jones had give him some flowers. He
had been a good glue guy starting. That's not an
easy role where you're playing around all those good like
star players like that. He has found his disch too.
But I think Dallas donna take it in six. I
give Minnesota two games.

Speaker 7 (29:17):
Yeah, Minnesota is they have surprised me in a bad way.
I just felt like the high they were on coming
off of beating Denver. But when they put go Bear
in that picking ro if you notice what they're trying
to do. They were they were blitzing Luca a little bit,
and Luca did it to say, did the same thing

(29:38):
every time, look to the three point line, fire the
ball under the basket, dunk and it's like, guys, and
you see when a Minnesota called the time in after
a while, it was like, make him pass to the
three point to the guy at the three point line,
we'll recover.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
We'll contest the shot.

Speaker 7 (29:54):
But it to me seems as if Minnesota they aren't
locked in defensive league. It's a number one defensive team
in the NBA. They aren't locked in. And it's because
Luca is so good of a passer and he has
a size to see over a lot of things that
other guys can't.

Speaker 6 (30:13):
Hey, i'm not gonna say. I'm not gonna say that
Minnesota is not locked in defensively. And when you say
that was coming off of high and that and that
last series against Denver, because the pick and roll was
basically between two people. It was between Jamal Murray and
and and Uh and the Joker, and everybody in the
world knows that they have the best one two man
game in basketball. But now you try now you fast

(30:35):
forward to this Minister, you fast forward to this, to this,
to this series. This picking roll is different because now
you have the pick and roll with Kyrie Irving and
Whoever's garden Rudy go Bell and and you also have
the pick and roll with the Joker and Whoever's gone
rudigol at cuffs. So for the adjustment for them to make,
you just don't. You just have no idea what Kyrie

(30:57):
Irving is going to do out of the pick and
roll because he do everything.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
So that's a problem.

Speaker 7 (31:01):
Let me ask cutsis though, we've seen where a lot
of teams they want to get player A in the
pick and roll and player A switches off on another
guy and somebody comes and covers for him. You think
the Timberwolves may try that, you know what I'm talking
about where they want to get me in the pick
and roll because I can't play defense, and somebody comes

(31:21):
and guards a guy that I'm guarding so now, and
they just keep doing that before you know the shot
clock runs out. Do you think Minnesota will try to
implement that to prevent Gobert from being in a pick
and roll.

Speaker 5 (31:32):
It's so hard to hide Rudy though. This is why
I said nov Reed is a better fit. I feel
like they close the game. Sometimes it's gonna be hard
for Rudy to get out there in that pick and roll. Man.
I think Dallas, Dallas, I mean Minnesota, they should try
to switch everything. But that's like I say, it's hard
to do that. It's hard to play that chess move.
You can't switch everything because you're always gonna have Rudy

(31:56):
Gobert in a mismatch. Bro So, now Chris Finch and
Michael Norri they gotta make They gotta make that tough
decision because I think these games are gonna be closed.
Every game is gonna be down to the wire like
it was Game one and Game two. Which five are
you going to have on the floor because the sleeper
is Nikkel. Alexander Walker is one of their better defenders, right,

(32:16):
but they don't seem to use him down the stretch
as much. You got to put your best five defenders
on the floor with Dallas. It don't matter making the
most money, It don't matter who who's also or who's
not who they go bearrap.

Speaker 4 (32:29):
Might have to sit down.

Speaker 6 (32:30):
We all agree you want to play your best five defenders.
In the game towards the end of the game. This man,
this man Defensive Player of the Year this year. He
doesn't play well.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
He doesn't play one of the pick and roll. Hey,
we're up against it. Hold on, we're up against it.
But but listen, y'all do know that that's been one
of the biggest criticisms against the defense with Horford and
and the Celtics team. So let's just say, for the
sake of saying, the Celtics end up there, which we're anticipating,

(33:07):
the Mavericks end up there, which we're anticipating now at
this point, how does that play out, cuffs, because that
is the biggest issue that you're seeing play out with
Boston's defense, is that they can't play the pick and roll.

Speaker 5 (33:21):
Well, I would call it the Jordan Brand Finals if
we were getting the Jordan Brand NBA Finals, and it's
flat out this way. If for Zingers is if he's
not healthy enough to really contribute anything. Luca is getting
his first ring before ant Man and Tatum, and that's
gonna be the narrative that is gonna be right here's
about who's gonna be the faith of the league.

Speaker 7 (33:40):
Right now, Boston is winning the championship. Mark it down, man.
The Boston Celtics is winning the NBA Championship. Boston, Boston
Celtics will win the NBA Championship. Dallas will not beat
the Boston Celtics. Will not happen.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
I don't agree with that.

Speaker 4 (34:05):
We gotta talk about next weekend.

Speaker 5 (34:07):
We're gonna talk about it next weekend because the series
will be over by then, so we're gonna dang.

two pros and a cup of Joe joined in with
up on game. Super dope moment for the show. Fellas.
Before we get up out of here, you know what

(36:04):
we got to bring in our guy Bo, and we
got to get to this.

Speaker 2 (36:11):
Time for some picks.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
Are you up on game?

Speaker 8 (36:14):
Let's break this up.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Let's break it up, down on game, get it down,
all right.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
We haven't done this in a little bit, but Bo,
you know I dominate this round. I dominate this this segment.
I can't be beat. So let's get into it. Let's
let's see what we got going on with up on game,
down on game, so I can down TJ and flex
on on what we got going on picks wise, let's
go all.

Speaker 3 (36:39):
Right, So tonight we have the Boston Celtics taking on
the Indiana Pacers, who will presumably not have Tyreus Halliburton.
The point total for the game is two and two
and a half. The spread currently favors Boston by seven.

Speaker 7 (36:57):
I got the Bosston Celtics. Halliburton will not be playing.
They gonna sweep this series, possibly if Haler Burton misses
game three and four. So I'm gonna give up the
points to you said two hundred and what and a
half to twenty two. I'm gonna take the under on that.
I'm gonna take the under. I'll see about one. No, no, no, no, man,

(37:19):
damn yeah, I'm gonna go over on that. That's a
tough one, but I'll take the over. I'll take the
over on that. That's a guest though, that's a guess.
Everything else isn't a guess, man.

Speaker 6 (37:27):
I'm gonna take done though on the poor don't yeah,
Tyery Vallabat is playing or not. I think the boss
myself it's winning about ten and they.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
Sweep the series. I'm gonna take the under on the points.
I think that's a lot of points for such an
a crucial game in the series. As far as the
spread is six points seven seven points, seven points, I'm
gonna take the Celtics on that one.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
All right. Then to tomorrow night, we have the Wolves
in Dallas to take on the MAVs. The total for
that game two to eight and a half and Dallas
currently just a three and a half point favorite at home.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
Wait a minute, the duelves in Dallas late.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
Tonight, tomorrow, tomorrow.

Speaker 6 (38:12):
Okay, I'm taking Dallas. I'm taking Dallas, and I'm taking
over on the points. I believe that the Minnesota timber
Wolves is one happens to score a lot of points,
but they will not outscore Dallas at home. So I'm
taking Dallas and I'm taking Dallas over on the ports.

Speaker 7 (38:31):
Oh man, I'm taking the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
There's no like that.

Speaker 7 (38:37):
Ain't no way y'all going down three zero, You go
down three zero, you get swept. Show some heart, saw
some pride, Anthony Edwards takeover. When you up to man,
get a shot off, don't pass it, you get a
shot off. Like, let's go, man, Timberwolves. They win in
this game. And it's so I'm going with the Timberwolves
over everything.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
Man. There ain't no way they losing to Dallas. Man,
I'm taking the over on the points as well, but
I'm sorry, I think that their best shot. I mean,
talk about taking a Mike Tyson uppercut and and just
still you know what. I went down, I hit the canvas,
but I got back up and I kept fighting. That's
what happened in last night's game. They took they took

(39:18):
Minnesota's best punch last night, and I do not cannot
see how Minnesota recovers from that loss last evening, just oralizing.
I'm taking I am taking uh, I'm taking the Dallas
on on that one.

Speaker 7 (39:36):
We ain't talk about Jay McDaniel getting smacked on the
arm by Kyrie Irving and they give it a gonna
talk about.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
That actually defined the game. It might have defined the game, like,
come on, man, like.

Speaker 7 (39:52):
The man, appreciate, appreciate the NFL referees the best in
the world.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
It ain't even close. It ain't even close. Hey, but
the it shouts out to the Mavericks were knowing to
hit the loophole on that. But god, whack, that's kind
of whack what happened there?

Speaker 7 (40:12):
Man, They're gonna change the rule, but ain't no way
you can go review it, and I can't review you
smacking me what?

Speaker 1 (40:19):
Real quick?

Speaker 3 (40:19):
I got a couple of player props to break any ties.

Speaker 4 (40:22):
Sorry.

Speaker 3 (40:23):
Anthony Edwards over under twenty five and a half points
tomorrow night.

Speaker 6 (40:26):
Hey, he bet it be over no choice taking. I'm
gonna go under a sam.

Speaker 3 (40:37):
Then the hero last night, Luka Doncic over under forty
eight and a half total, points, rebounds, and assists. This
is my favorite NBA. Uh yes, his total uh forty.

Speaker 7 (40:51):
I'm going on to take the over up. I'm going over,
I'm going under under over.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
All right, Well, y'all have heard it here. Put your
own bets in. You could go to I liked that
last one. I like that. That was a good one.
That was a good one. All right, make sure you
stay locked in for the Jonas NOx Show. It's coming
up in a matter of moments. To all of you
from TJ Plex and myself, this is up on game.
Make sure you enjoy your weekend, all right. Do something
