Speaker 1 (00:01):
You want experience during your football season, Well, buckle up,
sweet cheeks. What's all We've got all the experience in
the world. This is I want your flex with Dan
Byer and Mike Harmon. Mike and Dan break down everything
you need to set your lineups, from position rankings to

(00:23):
starts and sits. The guys help you make those hard decisions.
And now let's get your flex. Ond here's Dan Bayer
and Mike Harmon. Week three this year. Well, come in
and I want your flex. Get Mike on Twitter at
Swollen Domer. Executive producer is Ryan Berschinger. You can reach
him at Ryan Berschinger and you can also.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Hit me up at Dan Byer on Fox. We got
your hot plays and cold source and ninjas later. But
let's not waste any time, Mike Harmon, let's get right
to your rankings for Week three of the NFL season.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
All right, quarterback position, no big swings, not getting crazy
this week. A lot of the usual suspects at the
top of the board. Josh Allen the great bounce back
from the Week one to backle against the New York
Football Jets. Look for that to keep moving this week
against Washington. You know I love the Commanders and offensively
all those parts. Defensively still a work in progress. You

(01:17):
can make some plays downfield. Think Allan gets it done
a top the list, and he's still putting the ball
and tugging it under his arm and giving you the
big yards. Not fully trusting the run game one hundred percent.
But we'll talk about them in a minute. Lamar Jackson
going against Indianapolis, I think you're just going to have
an opportunity for some short fields to work with here
to take care of some business, especially with Richardson still

(01:40):
banged up, in the fact that you're missing a couple
of members of that offensive line not at practice before
we sat down to hit the old record button. So
Gardner minshewt, maybe anybody behind a bad offensive line. Yeah,
give me that defense to get flowing and giving Lamar
a short field. Patrick Mahomes against the Bears, I can
do a forty five in its monologue about the Bears.

(02:01):
Oh wait, we did that earlier this week. Download all
the episodes. Everybody go back and listen to listen to
my heartbreak like Ralph and the ch Chew Cheer's Me episode.
But Mahomes and the offense start to find their strides
again this week against a Bears team. They'll play with
some heart. They'll give you some big, anxious moments. Maybe

(02:22):
Brisker actually catches the ball if Mahomes decides to throw
it at his face like Baker Mayfield did a week ago,
we'll see, but still expecting big days from that Chiefs
offense at home. Justin Herbert going against Minnesota. We'll take
both sides of this matchup at four and five. Herbert
against the Vikings and that secondary and then Captain Kirk
on the other side looking for the passing game against

(02:44):
the Chargers. This is the loser leaves town match. To
put it in wrestling parlance, fellas, because we're looking at
this could shape the way the NFL flows. Is Captain
Kirk going to be in a different uniform? J E?
T E? Wasn't that the thing from the draft? I
don't know Jets uniform and the Chargers. Would Brandon Staley
be fired? That's it. A lot of intrigue, but a

(03:06):
lot of points as we get flowing here in week three.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
I know we got right into it, but I was
curious on where Herbert and Cousins would be because I
think a lot of us. Do think that that game
in Minneapolis will be a shootout? And you got to
put Patrick Mahomes in the rankings as we've talked about.
You've talked about for weeks, even though the Chiefs haven't
got off to the greatest of starts in the first
two weeks of the season. Yeah, Bears coming to town.

(03:31):
Maybe it's the get right game for Patrick Mahomes. What
running back can get right? Let's find out right now.
Top five running backs for Week three from Mike Carmon.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Ah Who's left? Who's the last man standing? I feel
like we're already in an episode of Survivor. Wait, that's
not a Fox property scratch that No, b John Robinson
off the jump. Let's get it started. We've watched about
how special this guy's been through two weeks, expecting more
against the Detroit defense that is banged up some players
up front, but he gets into the secondary lookout could

(04:00):
be running four days. I think it's just starting to
find its stride. Dan Ryan, you guys had this one right.
Although Christian McCaffrey hasn't been a slouch just yet, and
that's why he's number two on the board overall. But
the Thursday night game. In the rearview, we kick him
to the side to give us some Derrick Henry action.
Going up against Cleveland, Tennessee playing with some heart after

(04:22):
a Week one debacle. Look for more Derrick Henry action
here in Week three. Cleveland's still reeling from that loss
to Pittsburgh. Think there's an opportunity to get out there
and lean, lean, lean, although Skorronsky still not going to
be available for that Tennessee offensive line obligatory Northwestern reference here.
Tony Pollard going up against the Arizona Cardinals. They played

(04:44):
with great heart, great determination back to back weeks. When's
the Levy break? When's the opportunity break? Oh, it does
when the Dallas defense comes to town. So Tony Pollard
finds himself have yourself another day? Does he touch the
ball thirty times? Again? I don't think he should. I
don't think that's good for long term success. But will
to make the most of the carries and touches that
he does get in this game. How about Travis etn

(05:06):
slowed down in Week two in what was one of
the shockers of Week two. No offense in that game
between Kansas City and Jacksonville look for them to get
back after it this week with some more ability out
of the backfield. We saw what Zach Moss was able
to do coming off the injury list, going over one
hundred total yards, finding the end zone and really lighting

(05:28):
it up. So looking for an opportunity for ETN and
then an appearance, perhaps the first of many for this guy,
Jamir Gibbs going up against Atlanta in that you don't
have David Montgomery and that saddens me greatly. Although he
was a Bear, no longer a Bear, so it's one
of those you root for his success to a point,
especially because he's still in division fellas. But Gibbs a

(05:49):
guy that we see as a playmaker both in the
pass game and as a runner, and I think they
need to get him started to give this Detroit offense
a little bit of a jump start here in a
big game.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
How about that Falcons and Lions who face off in
Detroit on Sunday, As you mentioned, having two of the
top five running backs. Wondering if Derek Henry can break
through Cleveland. I think their defense is really good, but
it's still the Titans. It's still Derrick Henry could see
a slugfest in Cleveland coming up on Sunday. All right,
let's get to the pass catchers, the wide receivers top

(06:23):
five for Week three.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
You know me, I love some points and sometimes we
just got to stay with the chalk. Let's not outthink
the room, but right off the jump, justin Jefferson. Is
it one of those situations whereas you just put him
in sharpie and just extricate him from these lineup decisions
because you're just setting and forgetting him. You're just locking
him in as a number one as it flows, and

(06:46):
he will against this Chargers squad. I'm expecting some heart determination.
I think this is going to be one of the
most fun games, as they're referenced in the quarterback rankings.
Let's go, let's fire it up. Everything's on the line
in these sixty of the fortunes of both these squads.
Jefferson I think gonna look to a tone from the
fumble through the end zone. Yeah, fantasy owners that have Jefferson,

(07:10):
everybody shake your fists. Three two, All right, let's get
back to it. I'm on Ross Saint Brown going up
against Atlanta. We've seen some of these secondary players in
the Detroit offense making some hey. I think we get
back to basics and one of our fantasy favorites member
because the guy carries around a laminated list of all
the guys picked before him. I do that every day,
guys that have been picked over me for different things,

(07:32):
maybe in my personal life, maybe in the professional life,
maybe in how my kids rank me relative to the
other parents that they know. I might be number eighteen
on their list. I don't know. Ceedee Lamb going up
third against Arizona. Like I said with Dak Prescott and
Tony Pollard, we are going to have some fun running
down hill here and some opportunities in Ceedee Lamb I

(07:55):
think gets his points early and then it's a quick
and easy run to grind out the clock. Devontae Adams,
he's pointing fingers and late hits, cheap hits. Here's an
opportunity against the Pittsburgh secondary to go and make some hay.
I think getting loud also gets him the ball early
and often. And the reintegration of Hunter Renfro I think

(08:17):
will help. Jacobe Meyers still banged up here as they
try to sort out the receiving corps, but there still
is the sure handed number one up top and against
that Pittsburgh secondary that has been a bit poorous through
the first two weeks of the season. Then finally, Keenan
Allen stats for days as our guy Steve Desager and

(08:37):
all the team that we work with that work alongside
the Chargers, They've got books and stacks of all that
he's able to do. And against this Minnesota secondary he
will feast selfishly.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
I do need Keenan Allen to do well against the
Vikings in week three and again another matchup we think
a lot of points. You've got two of the top
five from that game. Also DeVante Adams. Yeah, I like
the Raiders against the Steelers. Just even though the Steelers
got the win, which by the way, broke the forty

(09:09):
nine ers streak of teams that play the forty nine
Ers lose. The next week, Steelers ended up winning, granted
their offense didn't do much. I like DeVonta Adams to
have success against them.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
All right.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Those are Mike Harmon's top five plays at the quarterback,
running back, and wide receiver position. His hot plays in
gold Soars and Ninjas coming up next to here on,
I want your flex it is I want your flex
I'm Dan Byer. That's Mike Harmon. He's Ryan Berschinger, our
executive producer. Glad to have you with us. We are
Max Smack dab in the middle of Week three, hit
mic up on social at Swollendobe. You can find me

(09:41):
at Dan Byer on Fox, and you can find Berschinger
at Ryan Berschinger. All right, enough of my mistakes. Let's
get the Harmon's hot plays for Week three of the
NFL season.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Hot plays for this week, We're going to start at
the quarterback position, as we always do, looking at Jalen Hurts.
It's been an on even couple of weeks. A lot
of the Reliants on the run game, the dion, a
swift game that is recent in everybody's minds. But don't
forget Hirts was still tucking the ball, still found his
way towards the end zone a couple of times. Yes,

(10:11):
I know the vulturism offends the sensibilities of some and
they don't like the play, But for fantasy owners, yeah,
I love that formation. It's unstoppable. It means six points
plus to my final total and looking for big plays
to continue. I think aj Brown there's more of the terminology,
more of the timing that starts to come together right

(10:32):
week three of a new coordinator and really just starting
to see things a little differently. DeVante Smith running free
time and again you saw the two big plays last
time out. I think there's gonna be more of that.
And now it's gonna be a pick your poison. Remember
you haven't even gotten Dallas Goddard really into the game
plans much at all. There's still plenty of upside for

(10:54):
that Philly offense. I think it starts rolling a bit
more here against Tampa coming up the other side. You
know what I gotta do with Fellas. I gotta grab
Justin Fields because I think there's gonna be more of
the all right, I'm just gonna run the blanket. I
gotta be me now. The coaching thing long diet tribe.
We talked about it in our podcast. I got to

(11:14):
do a little bit of the vitriolic rant. There's still more,
still more fire there. But up against Casey, do I
think it's a massive effort. Suddenly they're putting points on
the board all over. No, but I do think you're
gonna get more in the rushing attack from Justin Fields,
more of the one read, two read go as opposed
to the four seconds in the pocket followed by a sack.

(11:35):
So he's one of those guys that I don't know
long term of, still a little reticent to jump on
board fully, but this seems like a spot. Or maybe
you get an opportunity for a little bit of a
sneaky play and maybe a little bit of an undervaluation,
particularly in your daily fantasy leagues. How about James Cook,
one of the last running backs still standing. You may
not love him, but an opportunity here against Washington looking

(11:58):
for Buffalo's offense and for this team to keep trudging forward. Likewise,
maybe the matchup isn't one you love, but the use rate,
the opportunity as a receiver out of the backfield means
Ramandre Stevenson still finds himself as a back end number one,
even against the vaunted Jets. The ownership this is like
Rogers and the Bears of the Patriots over the Jets

(12:20):
in their matchups year to year. That's all finding good
and maybe this is the year that the Jets get them.
It won't be, but Stevenson giving me that twelve to
fifteen touches, I'll take the production there as a hot
play for this week, and finally again we've talked about
the last couple of years, waiting for it to break through.
I may have started a tattoo on my right calf.
I don't know, but it's Nico Collins of your Houston

(12:43):
Texans going up against Jacksonville. The route number is going up,
the target number is going up, and eventually this offensive
line is gonna get healthy. The by low on members
of the Texans, including Damian Pierce, is running low right.
It's like the sands in the hour glass starting starting
to run out, So get your shares early.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
With Nico Collins on the list even supports my thinking
that the Texans are going to be a team they
reckon with in the second half of the season. I
think Sundays game against the Jaguars could be some fun.
Will it be fun for Trevor Lawrence? I guess we're
about to find out. Mike's got his cold soars for
Week two in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
You know my affinity towards Jordan Love might get some
of Aaron Jones. He was spotted at the practice field,
so maybe you get the two headed monster in the
backfield that gives you another release out of the backfield.
But the New Orleans defense is for real. So for
Jordan Love this week, not a guy that I'm looking
for massive output from that. He's on that outlier right

(13:48):
that normally that back end number one for me because
I've been bullish as to what they're building there. But
this is a week where I'll set him aside and
save him for another time, find another option. And on
the Week three slate, Trevor Lawrence going up against Houston.
It's one that just leaves me a little reticent to
get fully on board. I know I had etn as

(14:10):
part of our running back rankings. Notice I don't have
Calvin Ridley here. I like what Houston's trying to do defensively,
and as they get healthy, the fight is going to
be there. But Demiko Ryans will have them up and
ready to play this one. So I'm looking for a
high end two ranking for Lawrence this week. Running backs

(14:30):
on both sides of the same game. Josh Jacobs, I
know he's the feature back. I don't know what's being
featured right now for the Las Vegas Raiders and his
usage to hold out all of those things coming together
against the Pittsburgh front. I know you're missing Hayward up front,
but still a defense that can get some hats on you.
And so he's gonna play, but he's no better than

(14:52):
a back end too. Likewise, Najie Harris, we've been talking
about it for a long time about Jalen Warren taking
his job. He's going to be taking it if Harris
continues to plod along as he has through those first
two weeks. Although perhaps this is a game where the
offense gets a little more sound because Kenny Pickett might
appear momentarily. You know, I hate to kill a great story,

(15:16):
but you know Kareem Hunt's coming back to town. All right,
push that aside for a moment. But Jerome Ford, everybody
that spent their free agent acquisition budget gonna be disappointed
going up against that Tennessee front this week. Cleveland's offense
suspect at best. Some great big runs from Ford in
his debut, and that's great. Start him up as a
two and hope for some volume, but the overall production

(15:39):
I think will be you'll be left wanting for this week.
And then finally, two wide receivers. You've got Pittman going
up against Baltimore. He's the number one, so we got
to put him out there. Problems on the offensive line,
and Gardner Minshew we get a little bit of minshow Mania,
I think because we've still got the injury concerns for
Anthony Richardson, which I think is going to be a

(16:01):
consistent theme throughout his rookie year. But a guy even
with a target count, the dividends I think will be low.
And then Mike Evans Garius slay anybody. Evans feasting and
looking for that big contract against the Bears, spin moves
just like you're hitting the buttons on your xbox, all
of those things. But against Philadelphia's defense, I think those

(16:24):
opportunities where he's as clearly wide open as we've seen
thus far, those Wyane so an opportunity perhaps to slide
someone else into your WR two slot.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
This week, it kind of feels like Mike Evans would
rather have Baker Mayfield as his quarterback than Tom Brady,
as crazy as that sounds. But at some point as well,
Eagles defense, as he said, you also are going to
come back to earth at some point, you think, so
I get putting Evans at least in the cold, Soares
or cooling down from what he's done for the first
two weeks. Now it's time for the real fun part.

(16:56):
Harmon's Ninja's for Week three of the NFL season. The
sneaky plays that you could get great value of, Yes,
even at the tight end position, Mike take it away.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
All right. We always do a couple of ninjas, these
sleepers off the board and trying to find the diamond
in the rough. And maybe you got a quarterback, right,
I mean, you might have a little bit of Browning
or Andy Dalton, anybody, anybody? All Right? That silence tells
me everything that we're going to But let's get a
couple of tight ends in while while we're starting. Sam

(17:27):
Laporta starting to get a little bit of traction in
Detroit against Atlanta. They try to bring the heat hot route,
just like wedding Crashers and Kyle Pitts if there were
ever a spot on the other side of this game
for him to get involved again. The defensive front of
Detroit causing some havoc and the need to get the
ball out fast for young Ritter. All right, a couple

(17:49):
of quarterbacks to get in for real. Sam Howell against
Buffalo Love what that offense is starting to look like
the comeback last week, and opportunities for him with a
number of receivers, get Logan Thomas involved in the running
backs out of the backfield. I think this is one
with Eric b Enemy. They're just getting started with that

(18:10):
core Kenny Pickett going up against Las Vegas. Again, it's
not a high an ultra high ceiling. This is not
one where we're looking up at the Sistine Chapel. But
there's opportunity against this Raiders secondary to make some hay
looking for George Pickens. Not that he's going to be
running free like he did in Week two against the
Browns on the oh my god, where did all the

(18:30):
defenders go? Kind of moment, but a little more work
of Friarmouth and the running backs out of the backfield
to get some success and who knows, maybe he'll actually
remember that you can tuck the ball and run as well.
Running backs for Shawn Johnson, Yeah, that's right. I'm going
with a bear going up against Kansas City. He's the
best of their running backs as a runner and as

(18:53):
a pass protector. That means he's going to get rewarded
a bit. I think as this season rolls on last week.
You saw to form it as a healthy scratch. I
think that Johnson's workload continues either side of the game.
Pacheco kind of one of those forgotten men in the
running back world. Yeah, we're searching and scraping to try

(19:14):
to find guys with some upside. There's an opportunity there.
And then three quick wide receivers Zake Flowers against Indianapolis
short field, looking at a target count that has been
strong so far. Odell Beckham Junior not only with the
Kardashian No, I'm not calling a Kardashian curse, but he
is on the injury list. Michael Thomas starting to find
his legs a little bit again in New Orleans, going

(19:36):
up against Green Bay. As much as I love olave,
a lot's going to be shaded his way, So let's
go find a secondary option there. And then Tank Dell
going up against Jacksonville, a guy that we're watching the explosiveness.
This is one of those throw a little bit at
him in your daily fantasy leagues and just hope for
an awful lot of yack. Say it like Billy Joel

(19:57):
yat yack yack, yack, yack yack, yack yet all right,
maybe a bridge too far type for karaoke guys.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Aside from Tank Dell being a great name, great story,
he was his story not only this offseason, but also
around draft time.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
C J.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Stroud in Tank Dell had done some work leading up
to the draft, and so when Stroud was drafted by
the Texans, he told the team draft Tank Dell and
they did. And now what do you know? He's made
Harmon's Ninjas list. All right, before we wrap this up,
I got to give you my information where I give
you one reason to start a guy in, one reason
to bench a guy. And just because we're talking about
Texans and the Jaguars in that matchup this Sunday, I say,

(20:34):
bench Christian Kirk. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Isn't
that the term squeaky wheel gets the oil? And it's
not that Christian Kirk was chirping after week one, but
it was noticeable on his lack of production. So I
think they overcompensated in week two. I think he comes
back more down to earth in week three. Give you

(20:56):
one guy to start Josh Reynolds, wide receiver of the
Detroit Lions. There's no way the Falcons go three and
oh so I think the Lions win that game. I
told you they're my survivor pick of the week. That's
not the reason why you should start Josh Reynolds, but
it can help. With no David Montgomery, I think you
rely more on Jared Goff's arm and I think Josh
Reynolds is a beneficiary. Beneficiary that is of that. So

(21:19):
that's it for I want your flex. Best of luck
in week three. We'll be back when it's all said
and done to look ahead to Week four in a
couple of days, and plus look back at everything that
happened over these Week three matchups for Ryan Berschinger and
Mike Carmon. I'm Dan Beyer. This is I want your flex.
