Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies and Jules.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
You want experience during your football season, Well, buckle up,
sweet cheeks. What's always We've got all the experience in
the world.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
This is I want your flex.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
With Dan Bayer and Mike Harmon. Mike and Dan break
down everything you need to set your lineups, from position
rankings to starts and sits. The guys help you make
those hard decisions. And now let's get your flexod here's
Dan Bayer and Mike Harmon.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Week four is here. My Seahawks already got to hang
in the barn with a win. I don't know how
pretty it was. I felt they should have been up
twenty eight to three in the first half. But a
twenty three to twenty game in Arizona on a last
second field goals. A Seahawks fan, I'll take it. They're
three and one, Cardinals are two and two. He is
Mike Carmon hit him up at Swollo Dome. You can

(00:53):
find Ian Roddy at Ian Roddy Underscore. You can find
me at Dan Bayer on Fox One Down fifteen to Go, Mike,
including one. In Dublin, Ireland early Sunday morning.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
A lot of complaints by one of the quarterbacks about
travel plans and not being able to have a nice
frosty Guinness from the tap earlier in the week. But
plenty to come on that as we go, look succeed
and proceed. It's like the rant I did about the Cowboys.
I'd love to have all those double digit win seasons
and then try to figure out the postseason, so at

(01:24):
least had four months of meaningful football. You gotta win here?
Was it pretty no? For fantasy owners? They were wondering
if Jackson Smith and Jigbo was left off of the
plane for a while. The only thing they knew is
that he picked up a penalty, but he ends up
with a thirteen point night. Is it world beating? No?

(01:45):
But a saver. And then we're watching the super tow
effect and a guy couldn't land a ball in over
a thousand square yards of field to keep his team alive.
That's really the tale of the tape.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
I didn't like the new kickoff rule and that penalty
being what it is, but I say that there's no
difference to really be to kicking one out of bounds
at the half yard line or having it bounce in
and hit the pylon and going to the end zone
and end up being a touchback. There is significant difference
between just that half yard, just like there is between
the twenty one and twenty yard line when we're talking

(02:21):
about the landing zone.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
But exactly bad, bad job by him. Like I said,
thousand square yards. Yes, to drop the ball in not
a hard concept. Although I thought they should have gone
for two. They had no business being in that game
and they could have potentially stolen it.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yeah, the old adage I think would be thrown out
in that scenario because I don't think that they were.
When you're down twenty to six and maybe should have
been down twenty four to six, you can't look at it.
It's like we're at home. You're absolutely right. They should
have just gone for two. And if they don't get it,
they don't get it. But it allowed Seattle at least
that opportunity, and Myers redeemed themselves after missing a kick.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Earth all right, it's it two thirds on his field
goal conversion's first career beyond fifty yards. There's my nerd
stat of the day. But it was really great to
see Marvin Harrison Junior. I know, not for you, Dan,
but for him to have the second half that he
did because I thought we had a broken man on
our hands, yes, for a while there, and then he
makes the big play in the end zone and you

(03:22):
saw the emotional response there. Decent fantasy days for Kyler
Murray at the end of it all, but yeah, it's
it's one of two seventy.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Two, absolutely, and I did have Harrison in another league,
so he did see those against my team. He did
salvage some points for me at the end.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
Six for sixty sixty, and it looked like he was
he was crying again on the sidelines because you know
that first video in the locker room of him getting
emotional after last game, cut to him on the sideline
a few times after his brutal draft that he had there,
and it looked like there was some some water sweater tea.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Yes, yes, around tears is the better story, right, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
But yeah, either way, it was. It was a miserable
first half and it made look Kyler Murray and that
offense weren't exactly humming, but it made it look that
much worse stopping on a route and then dropping what
was an easy catch.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Yeah, yeah, it was. It was not good. There was
also a play too, where they just didn't connect where
a couple of times actually Harrison did in one route
and then and Murray threw a different route. But anyway,
that's in the books. We got fifteen more to go.
Mention the game in Ireland. Ian's got a double header
on Monday night football to watch with the Jets and Dolphins.
He'll also have streaming defenses coming up later. I'll give

(04:37):
you up points of palooza and a Survivor pick or two,
but Mike Harmon take it away. Let's get to the rankings.
Top five quarterbacks for Week four.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Some of the usual suspects, a couple of new newbies
to the to the list. We'll start with Josh Allen
against New Orleans Tech. Most generous to fantasy quarterbacks thus far.
Allen with two monster performances for you, and then that
middling Week two effort. Look for a bigger game to go.
Caleb Williams, pushing him all the way up to number
two this week. As long as he's able to avoid

(05:04):
Max Crosby. You're looking at a mid defense against opposing
passing games. Things starting to click with Roma Dunsay and
company getting everybody involved. Now they just need to go
find a running back, but we'll get into that in
trade talk another time. Number three Drake May against Carolina. Yeah,
they're the best to this point that Michael Pennock's effort

(05:26):
left me confused more than anything else. But I think
you got the ability to spread the ball around. You're
getting decent workout of the run game. So we're gonna
go bold here with a big push here. Lamar Jackson
against Kansas City tied for twentieth, giving up about sixteen
points per game. You look at what Lamar's done thus far,

(05:46):
absolutely absurd production, nine points greater than number two Josh Allen.
And then I had to spin the wheel to decide
who got the coveted number fifth spot, Number five spot,
I should say, if I can speak, And then it
came down to Patrick Mahomes on the other side of
that matchup. Fifth most generous worthy is back. Thornton has

(06:07):
broken through, and let's face it, he can make plays
with his legs right now. And that's the thing I'm
going to bank on is that you get another big
performance where he adds another twenty thirty rushing yards to
go along with some of the return to the big
play threats in that offense.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Still some big name quarterbacks missing from lineups. I mean
the Vikings have already world Jj McCarthy. We knew that
he wasn't going to play. Jane Daniel's not going in
Week four against the Falcons for the Commander, so maybe
Marcus Marioto revenge game. We'll get to the other quarterbacks later,
but those are your top five quarterbacks for Week four, Mike.
Let's get to the running backs for Week four in
the National Football.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Is another bill. Let's go James Cook. You're looking at
the ninth most pliable defense to opposing rushers thus far,
and Cook has been fantastic. Christian McCaffrey, as we surmise
before the season, making his hey as a receiver thus far,
the huge target count going up against Jacksonville. They've been

(07:06):
fifth best against running backs. They haven't seen him, and
you look at the consistency through three games nineteen, nineteen
seven and nineteen again, another opportunity for you. Third, Bijon
Robinson going up against Washington, fourth most generous thus far.
He's been playing quite well despite their fails. He's still

(07:30):
getting it done in PPR leagues, or half PPR leagues
as it were, number four. We're gonna go with Josh
Jacobs going up against Dallas balance in that Packers offense,
and he'll have some work out of the backfield, and
then we're gonna go a little deeper. This is where
we've got most of our heavyweights actually have pretty poor

(07:51):
matchups against opposing rushing units this time around. So Barkley
makes the list at five, but that's a mid Tampa
rushing defense thus far. But that gets him the nod
over Gibbs and against and over Jonathan Taylor to close
out the list.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
I can't believe Josh Jacobs is on this list because
didn't the Cowboys want to get better against the run? Right?
Is that the whole reason is that what we're gonna
hear that matchup against the Packers. I took my cheap
shot there with Jerry Jones. I don't think it was
necessarily he got two first round picks, but it's just
the reasoning that always made me laugh. But we'll see
if Josh Jacobs and the Packers offense brews up that Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Well, if only my man could play some defensive back,
that might actually Instead, they're just a disaster. Iber Fluss
has regrown the beard that made him so famous during
the Bears hard knocks.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
Though, look out, that's true. That's true. That beard. Heck,
that was more interesting than anything the Bills did in
this season. So I guess I can't hate on the
beard too much, man.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
But the last couple, I mean, it just put it
out to pasture. At this point, it's a final.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
All right, Let's get to the top five wide receivers
coming up this week.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Poka Nikua with the heavy workload, let's go up with
him up against Indianapolis. We go with Nico Collins. Yes,
because of the target count twenty five through three weeks. Yes,
only fourteen receptions, about one hundred and eighty one yards,
two touchdowns. Look for more of the same. Aman Ross
Saint Brown thus far has been well. That second week

(09:24):
really kind of pushes things to a whole other level.
But you look at the target count, the share raiate.
I don't care that Cleveland has a good defense. It's
the rubber meets the road and he'll still get his
targets and receptions. Let's go a little deeper. Ian We're
gonna we're gonna get a little tricky here, and we're

(09:44):
actually gonna put Garrett Wilson on this list. Woah, Yeah,
that is.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
All about that welcome New York Jet.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Push him towards the top, and then AJ Brown going
up against Tampa. They're a top ten defense against the past. Thus,
but I think if the Philly offense is going to
work and we're going to get returns out of Berkley,
they're going to need to get AJ Brown involved early
and often, like we saw them work to it in

(10:13):
Week three. I think he's a big factor against Tampa early.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Garrett Wilson the fourth Jet in the last forty years
to make Harmon's Top five for a week. We Altune
Keishawn made it once and Brandon Marshall made it one.
So those those are the three others. Garrett Wilson making
the top five.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Brandon Marshall didn't. Yeah, I mean Brandon Marshall didn't make
it until we had that Super Bowl meeting with him
and the puppy Monkey Baby. As soon as that happened,
he made the list.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Oh Man Jets wide receiver. By the way, I was
thrown off last night as a Seahawks fan. I just
assumed the Seahawks were wearing their rivalry uniforms. I thought
that was the plan when they when they unveiled this,
they had a graphic that had all the teams in
their their new colors for the rivalry games, and I
was thinking into the week, I'm like, the Seahawks rivalry

(11:04):
uniform is gray, the Cardinals is a sand color. Like
that's not as much of a differential, and I wondered
if that played into it, because I don't know what
the Jets' uniform looks like. But the Dolphins are wearing
their black uniforms on Monday night, so I assume the
Jets will just probably wear their normal road uniforms. But
I thought they were both supposed to wear their rivalry uniforms.

(11:24):
Isn't doesn't the rivalry go two ways? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (11:27):
I remember seeing the Jets release one. I think it
was also like a black or like a really dark gray.
So I don't know how that's gonna work because I
know the Dolphins are wearing the black ones. Yeah, release
that on social media already.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
So what did you think of the helmet, Dan?

Speaker 3 (11:42):
I like the helmet. I loved the end zones. I
thought that the field looked great. I don't mind the
unique color. I've never liked the Arizona keeping the cardinal's nickname.
I just I just wish they would have just come
up with something different when they moved sure thirty five
forty years ago. But I thought that it looked good.
They've had previously bad uniforms. Their latest uniform looked good.

(12:06):
I felt this one looked good as well.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Jersey, I kind of thought was a little bit like
a Jackson Pollock painting. Yes, well, you're smoking walking around
to driveway and you're just kind of splattering stuff and
seeing what it looks like.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
It was. Well, that's kind of like their offense looked
for the first three quarters as well. Maybe get fitting,
maybe fitting.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
I'm not wrong, No, no, no, no, categorically, I mean
that is spot on.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
He is Mike Carmon. I'm Dan Byer. That's Ian Roddy,
our executive producer. Those are your top five plays at
the quarterback and running back in wide receiver positions. We'll
get to the hot plays and cold soares and more
next than I want your flex, it is I want
your flex. He's Mike Carmen. Hit him up at Swollen Dome.
You could find me at Dan Bayer on Fox. Find
Ian Roddy at Ian Roddy Underscore. Let's get to the

(12:53):
hot place mic for Week four of the National Football League.
The guys that aren't in the top five but could
be a key play this week.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Start at the wide position. We got DeVante Adams, who's
been fantastic thus far. Eight thirteen to eight are his
target numbers and the number two option. Look for him
to have a big day here. We've got Roma Dunes
going up against Las Vegas. Made the note earlier six
looking at four touchdowns thus far, six catches, seven catches,

(13:20):
three catches, and you're going up against a team in
Las Vegas most fantasy points per game allowed to wide receivers.
And then we got Zay Flowers going up against Kansas City,
expecting some fireworks in that one over under sitting at
a nice robust forty eight or forty eight and a
half running back position, Omarion Hampton, no more pesky workload

(13:42):
split for the moment, and you're looking at the Giants
giving up twenty four fantasy points per game to running
backs at six most per per game in the National
Football League. Jordan Mason against Pittsburgh looking at him thus
far averaging over five point four yards per carry, heavy work,
some work out of the backfield as a receiver, and

(14:02):
then Devon Echan going up against the Jets thirteenth most
fantasy points allowed per game, about twenty per He'll be
active in the passing game, I would suspect as well.
Now let's reverse it back to the quarterbacks. Jordan Love
going up against Dallas. Why because it's Dallas and I
need to get something right on my board about that
bo Necks against Cincinnati, Well, some of the same. He's

(14:24):
been hit or missed thus far. Obviously, Courtland Sutton's been fantastic.
You look at the eight point eight, twenty one point two,
thirteen point four. That's what he's given. He's been put
up on the board thus far. As long as he
can avoid Hendrickson should be able to make some hay downfield.
And the return of Brock Purty going up against Jacksonville

(14:45):
a mid middling defense thus far, give it about nineteen
points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Still a lot of
those wide receivers that were waiting on game day to
really figure out how far up the Hower meter they
are for video game purposes. But the checkdown and hot
route to Christian McCaffrey will be there all day long.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
You know.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Begos and Broncos played an entertaining affair last year at
the end of the regular season. Hopefully it'll be just
as entertaining as the late game on Monday night of
that stagger doubleheader. All right, Mike, let's get to the
flip side, the cold sores, the guys you don't want
in your lineup. A couple of low point totals we've
seen on the board this week. Who your cold source.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
We'll do it like a snake draft, So we'll go
back to the quarterback position. How about Dak against Green Bay?
I get your popcorn and see how many times Michael
Parsons walks by and says boo or something more derogatory
as you go through second best against quarterbacks, give it
up just twelve fantasy points per game, No CD lamb,
curious to see how this team operates in his absence.

(15:47):
Tua going up against the Jets thirteenth most But are
you trusting to a number twenty two quarterback thus far?
He might be worth the dollar play in a daily
fantasy league. Things break right, especially after he calls out
Cam Newton and all of us sitting on our couches.
You never played. Hey, Cam won an MVP, he just

(16:09):
didn't dive on a football in the Super Bowl. Baker
Mayfield going up against Philadelphia, no Evans and looking at
a team that's tied for tenth best. You're looking at
the run game to be stifled a little bit and
creating a bit of chaos as we go. Don't worry,
We'll still get some of his weaponry in as we go.
Travis Etn going up against San Francisco, eighth best given

(16:29):
a fewer than fourteen fantasy points per game. Derrick Henry, No,
not because of the fumble. I don't think anybody's gonna
run up from behind and Peanut punch it away. But
Kansas City, that's how they're going to operate this game,
trying to take Henry away. And outside of that week
one magnificent effort, the last two weeks have been muted. Obviously.

(16:49):
Grant Delpit got what he wanted week two. Last week
just a ten point two point performance, making me look
foolish as I had him number one with a bullet
didn't work.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
Hey, those fumbles do add up, I mean, and I
think that leagues should penalize for fumbles our long time
does not do it. But you know when you're when
you're dropping the football like that, I mean it's taking
away a touchdown on the board so far this year
for it.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
That's it. You take it away a lot of a
lot of points and a lot of opportunity and and
certainly the rest of the offense suffers for it. Maybe
you should run some laps. Alvin Kamara going up against Buffalo,
he's a subject a lot of questions of whether he'll
be in another uniform before long, but Buffalo defense uh
solid against the run. Look for the opportunity here. Maybe
he makes a little hay in the passing game, but

(17:38):
I'm in a no fly. He's a back end two
for me at best. Jamar Chase going up against Denver,
he gotta play him, but he's but against certain he's
he's back in w R one for me at best
instead of his normal lofty metal stand perch. Likewise, Lad McConkey,
as much as I may like, with the charge are

(18:00):
going to be able to do and how they've spread
the ball around. Keenan Allen, like we talked about last podcast, guys,
I don't think it's good for where Maconkey is. He's
forty ninth amongst wide receivers in half PPR leagues thus far.
And then Drake London, I'm just not trusting that offense
right now, and I get it. Target Chaer says, you
got to get him out there. Fifteen four and eight.

(18:22):
You got fifty five yards, forty nine yards and fifty
five yards in your return. Now, while it's a bottom
ten defense against opposing wide receivers, he's no better than
a mid two. And if I have something else on
my roster that looks a little more enticing than I trust,
he's sitting on the bench for me this week.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
I hope it's the London game, not from what we're
going to get next week with the Vikings and Browns.
But Drake London has been disappointing for my fantasy team
in my half point PPR league. And the Falcons, honestly,
the first two weeks you're like, okay, they giveaway the
game against the Bucks, they look pretty good again. It's
the Vikings on Sunday Night football. I don't know how

(19:03):
you explain what happened last week. I don't know if
it'll be a bounce back week either, because I just
don't know who these Falcons are right now. A team
that I had high hopes for entering the season, They've
been a bit disappointing for me so far.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
That's it. It's a lot of question marks I saw
a lot of in all the leagues I'm in. All
of a sudden, I saw Kyle Pitts dropped, and in
every league it seems like someone wants to make sure
they put it on the message board that they got
duped by him.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
The tradition unlike any other.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
That is true.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
All right, let's get to the Ninjas four Week four.
The sneaky plays that you could use to your advantage.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
Yeah, you mentioned Marcus Mariota makes some plays with his legs.
Go get it. Forty five and a half is the
over runner on this one. Washington the narrow favorite on
the road at Atlanta right now. But I think that's
where I'm looking for him to make some Hey, passing
game efficient won't kill you with the mistakes, right getting
penalized for interceptions and such, but the juice with his

(20:01):
legs gets him over Going a little bit against the
grain here with CJ. Stroud on the chance that the
Houston defense makes a player two to give him a
short field.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
I'm playing him this week. I'm playing I'm short on
quarterbacks injury wise. Dak is the other quarterback that I
have on the team that's available. And yeah, I'm rolling
with C. J. Stroud despite the low total this.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Week, also looking at Matthew Stafford against Indianapolis, guy who's
probably ranked back back teams on most boards. And I
know Indianapolis has been great through three weeks. Looking for
the balance of the Rams and again for that defense
to maybe slow down what has been the Daniel Jones

(20:45):
led juggernaut, if only for a moment. And then Gino
Smith going against Chicago. He probably won't throw the ball
out of bounds on fourth down again, or at least
I hope he doesn't. Well, maybe I do. The Bears
fan in me hopes that's the end of every possession.
Go for it. Yeah, there you go, throw it to
the third row. But the Bears third most points allowed
twenty four a game. Let's going to the running backs. JK.

(21:07):
Dobbins currently tenth and half point PPR, Cincinnati third most
fantasy points allowed per game. This is the Ashton genty
breakout spot. Isn't that right? Isn't that what I was told?
Eighth most fantasy points allowed per game two opposing runners
out of the Bears currently genty thirty third and half
point PPR leagues Woody Marx going back to that Houston

(21:29):
Tennessee game, had half the snap count last week. Maybe
that'll get him more of the workload share and let's
go full on volume. Is it gonna lead to a
lot of stuff? No, but you'll take those points per reception.
They rack up time and time again. Who am I
talking about Chris Alave going up against Buffalo? Just keep going.
Chris Godwin in his return, keep an eye out on

(21:51):
Sunday if he's available. Might be a little sneaky insertion
as a third wide receiver or a near flex spot.
And then we talked about Taekwon Thornton going up against Baltimore.
They've been terrible back to back weeks where he's got
into double digits from the depths.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
Mike's got him on his cold source talking about Baker Mayfield,
but it relates to Godwin. Listed is questionable but expected
to play, so you're going to see it on the board.
But he should be good to go, so you shouldn't
have to make any roster adjustments with the Buccaneers and
what is an interesting early slate Eagles Buccaneers the Marquee game.
But again with the unique schedule this week, I think

(22:29):
there's the Lions and Bills playing games where they're double
digit favorites. The early window. Yeah, kind of not as
enticing as maybe it has in other weeks.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
Yeah, I mean you're looking at most of these games
creeping out towards a touchdown, right, the Chargers at the Giants.
Buffalo's fifteen the last I saw with a total of
forty eight up on the board. Houston a seven point
favorite over Tennessee Detroit, as you said, a ten point,
and even New England is a five or five and
a half over Caroline Home.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
We could be talking about the Patriots in the very
near future. Find out next. That's Mike Carmen, He's Ian Roddy,
I'm Dan Byer. This is I want your Flex. All right,
It's time for Ian Roddy and myself Dan Bayer to
put our money where our mouth is. He is Mike Carmon,
this is I want your Flex. Ian as his weekly
streaming defenses for Week four of the National Football League season.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
Yeah, I do, so let's start. I've got three again
this week for you guys. Let's start with the most
rostered of the three. That's the Patriots. They are rostered
in about fifty four percent of leagues, at least on ESPN,
that's the last I checked. They're playing against the Panthers
and Bryce Young, who, as you guys alluded to, They're
coming off a great week against the Falcons where they
won thirty to nothing. The thing is, though, that was

(23:45):
one of, if not the cleanest game Bryce Young has
ever played in his career. He didn't have any turnovers,
he took just one sack. I just don't see it
happening again. So I don't think he's going to be
able to play as conservatively as he did. And I
think that means back to the usual Bryce Young, who
we like to target when going after streaming defenses. So, yeah,

(24:06):
Patriots are the first one.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
Patriots maybe mentioned later on in this segment as.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
Well, maybe stands out to find out get.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
It Eroddy, and I may be thinking alike, here we'll see.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
Next up the Commanders eleven percent rostered. They're playing against
the Falcons and Michael Pennix, who, like I just said,
they just gave up an absolute stinker to the Panthers,
who aren't even good. The Commanders have a much better
defense than the Panthers do, and they're coming off a
game last week against the Raiders where they had five sacks,
so I expect them to continue that here against the Falcons.

(24:39):
So Commanders and Patriots are the first two, and then
the last defense I have for you guys here the
Chicago Bears. Mike, your Bears. Wow, look at that seven
percent roster they're playing against the Raiders, and you mentioned it, Mike,
this could be the Ashton genty breakout game. But the
Raiders are giving up sacks at one of the highest
rates in the entire league. I believe it was eighth

(25:00):
when I checked. The Bears defense finished with eleven points
last week against the Cowboys, and defenses have actually scored
at least eleven points in each of the past two
weeks against the Raiders, so I think the Bears will
continue that trend. So Bears, Patriots, and Commanders are this
week's streaming defenses.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Yeah, it looks like you're getting Gordon and Edwards back
for the defense as well, which should help boost things
and give them some more opportunity to mix, mix some
coverages for Dennis Allen and Gino.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
We'll throw interceptions, yeah, he will. He will do that.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
He'll at least give you a couple of playable balls.
Let's just put it that way, right.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
And Ian and I are on the same page when
we talk about Survivor because I like the Patriots this week.
There are a couple of Survivor picks where they're no brainers.
Bills against the Saints, Lions against the Browns are going
to be very popular picks. They're double digit. We're in
week four. There hasn't been a lot of chaos in Survivor.

(25:56):
Last week the Browns beating the Packers was maybe the
first significant wave that we saw come through. There may
not be big waves, but the point is is, I
think if you have the opportunity to save a team
like the Bills or the Lions later on in the season,
that may work better for you. So if you can
find matchups you guys are just talking about it. These

(26:18):
spreads are now starting to get a little closer towards
a touchdown game. So I really like the Patriots to
bounce back in that Panthers game. I don't think Carolina's
going to put back to back games like that together.
They also were playing a division opponent, and again the
Patriots turned them all over five times against the Steelers.
Still only lost by a touchdown in that contest, so
it can't be that bad. Christian Gonzales, I know his

(26:40):
status has been a mystery for the last two months
or so, but ramping up towards maybe returning. So I
like the Patriots as a survivor play, and it's not
piling on against the Titans. It's just taking the opportunity
with the Texans, right, this is your opportunity. The over
under hasn't even hit forty for this matchup, but the

(27:01):
Texans are still more than a touchdown favorite. Cam Ward
was limited in practice earlier this week. I don't think
that has anything to do with anything, but the Texans
defense at least has been there while owen three. The
Texans have been in all of their games. They haven't
scored tons of points. But if they don't win this contest,
if you don't beat the Titans at home when you're
both oh and three, that is then rock bottom for

(27:23):
the Houston Texans this season. So I'm riding the Texans
and Patriots outside of the obvious picks of the Bills
and Lions. But I'm putting down Texans and Pats for
my picks this week.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Little disappointed. This wasn't the Thursday night game like it
was a tradition for all those years.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Yes, they used to do there, Ian, I don't know
if you know this or not. There used to be
a rule in the NFL when every team had to
at least appear in a primetime game. Now there weren't
as many, but that was the rule. You at least
you had to have one primetime game. And what the
NFL would do is they would take like the Titans
and Jaguars or Titans in Texas and the Texans and
throw them on Thursday Night to kill two birds with

(28:01):
one stay. Yeah, just ripping the band aid off. Two
teams gone. You don't have to see him again. And
it usually was like in a week where TV ratings
didn't matter. So that's what the NFL. That was their
dirty little secret. Now there's so many primetime games, that
rule doesn't exist anymore because everybody could play in primetime
if they wanted. But my points of palooza. This is

(28:21):
a little crazy, but this lends to your Garrett Wilson.
I'm going with Jets Dolphins on Monday Night.

Speaker 4 (28:27):
I love it, Dan, I think that's a great pick.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
Sitting there only at forty four and a half, I
can't take the high ones. We're gonna go with Jets Dolphins.
Dolphins have shown that they can score points, and by
all accounts at the time of this recording, Justin Fields
has included protocol. But it sure sounded like Aaron Glenn
thought he would have Fields back on Monday night. So
give me Jets and Dolphins in Miami as a points
of palooza.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Does he dance if the defense special teams comes up
with a big play? Does does does Aaron Glenn dance?

Speaker 4 (28:56):
I think you will.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
I think you get another celebration.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
I didn't get this. I didn't get the sense that
he regretted doing it. Afterwards.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
I tried to argue that, man, find your damn wins
where all there, even if they're fleeting.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
We talked about it too. It was during an incredible play.
He wasn't dancing after they lost. He was dancing after
they took the shit.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
So I will say Jets Dolphins as well, And I
know it's Monday night and people are like, uh, it
is a way more intriguing game than Texans Titans in
a battle one, and.

Speaker 4 (29:23):
Both defenses are very bad through three weeks, so I
like this as the points of palooza. It just seems
like both in a division rivalry, both teams are just
going to keep the foot on the gas pedal. Mike
McDaniel could be coaching for his job at this point,
So yeah, I like that pick Dan, That's a good one.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
That's fun one. I mean the high totals. You got
the Bears, Raiders at forty eight, Indie and the Rams.
Last I saw it was forty nine and a half,
Baltimore Kansas City at forty eight. A couple of these
smallish ones mixed, they're in. And then we said Buffalo
New Orleans forty eight, even though Buffalo giving up minus fifteen.

(30:00):
So there you go. But yes, double Monday night game,
good time.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
Yeah, should be should be fun and we'll be back
with a new episode after all of these contests in
Week four. Game from Ireland, the Monday night doubleheader, and yes,
Micah Parsons return to Green Bay and Jackson darts first
start as the Giants quarterback as they take on the Charger.
So for Ian Roddy are executive producer and Mike Harmon,
I'm Dan Beyer. Good luck in week four. We hope

(30:26):
you get nothing but double us and we'll talk to
you next time here and I want your FLEs
