Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
And you want experience during your football season, Well, buckle up,
sweet cheeks. We've got all the experience in the world.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
This is I want your flex.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
With Dan Bayer and Mike Harmon. Mike and Dan break
down everything you need to set your lineups, from position
rankings to starts and sits. The guys help you make
those hard decisions. And now let's get your flex ond
Here's Dan Bayer and Mike Harmon.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Welcome in. I want your flex, give Mike get swollen dome.
You can find me at Dan Byer on Fox. Ian
Roddy is our executive producer. You can find him at
Ian Roddy Underscore. I must be jacked up for Week
eight because I just hit my mic stand. I just
I don't know if you heard that, guys, but boom
right out of the gates.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Week eight is here.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Six teams on buy but still Vikings Chargers. Minnesota didn't
hold up their end of the deal, but plenty of
fantasy electricity with La Mike.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
Last week, well we got our two are over. We
limped there, but we got there. I thought we'd get
more from Minnesota and instead the conversation became was it
cruel and unusual punishment by Kevin O'Connell to keep throwing.
Carson Wentz back on the field when it was clear
that offensive line was giving him absolutely no help. I
was waiting to see how far his shoulder would slump

(01:24):
before things ended. But on the positive side, when you
look at what the Chargers were able to do, they
get healthy on the offensive line, which means we start
getting more consistency downfield in the passing game. Unless you're
a Quentin Johnston owner, that's a whole other problem for
another time. But eighteen completions to five receivers, sure, it's

(01:44):
not mighty and overwhelming, but McConkey and now Ronde Gadsden
the second, which really scares the hell out of me
and made me feel real old dan Ian doesn't understand
this yet. He will, he will, But you know, when
you've got Ronde Gadsden the second, and I can go
pull out a stack of seniors cards right now out

(02:05):
of my football card goal we.

Speaker 5 (02:07):
Start seeing Justin Jefferson junior play, then, okay, I understand
a little.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
There will be the benchmark then, But six eighty eight
and one on ten targets from Aconkey, So fantasy owners
breathing a sigh of relief because a couple of weeks
ago they were fearful that he had been phased out.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
No, no, no, he's nice and back.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Gadston five seventy seven and one going into the weekends games,
guys at in half PPR leagues, he's point two points
behind Travis Kelcey for fifth amongst tight ends.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Well, I'll tell you what the other people who were unhappy,
aside from the Quinton Johnston group, anybody who had Aaron
Jones or Jordan Mason last night. Aaron Jones's return was
not good for anybody in the in the Vikings backfield business.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Five for fifteen for him, two catches for fifteen. So
I guess you at least got the three point five there.
Am I really desperate when I try to sell that
for you? And Jordan Mason four carries three yards hit
him fall forward. Guys, the benchmark is always, Hey, you're
about six feet tall plus one or two bounces on
the ground before they spot it. And to get that,

(03:11):
you know, and it might be all academic, but it's
been a fun little theoretical brain teaser for me is
what happens if they let that interception stand at the
beginning of the game.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Sure, how different are things?

Speaker 4 (03:24):
I don't know what they eventually have been bludgeoned as
they were, but I think I would have enjoyed that
game a lot more.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
I can tell you that a little bit more competitive
at least hopefully there's some competition in Week eight. There
are six teams on BUYE We mentioned Rams, Raiders, Lions, Cardinals, Seahawks, Jaguars,
all getting the week off, So I don't know if
we're gonna see super points this week. I would doubt it.
All the the projected scores, at least in my leagues
are down from what we would see in previous weeks,

(03:52):
but hopefully we can help you make some hey either way,
With now twelve more games on the schedule, Mike, let's
get to your quarterbacks, your top five Week eight to
the NFL season.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Well, let's get it on. Let's start with Patrick Mahomes.
I've seen the over undertick up on this game another
half point, which is always exciting. Tied for eighth most
nineteen point nine points per game allowed Washington. You got
Mahomes thus far, averaging twenty five points per game scored
at least twenty three in all but one fantastics of Hey,

(04:22):
welcome back, Lamar Jackson. As we sit down to record
this still being coy, but with the points spread and
again I'm taking my indicators from Vegas. I don't know
if this week I'm supposed to do that, guys, but
that's what we got.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
That's where we're at.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
It's six and a half point spread with the Bears
come into town, which would indicate that the Lamar will
be upright and ready to go. Bears seventh most fantasy
points allowed to quarterbacks at just over twenty a game.
And you go back to Lamar. In the three complete
games he played, he scored at least twenty six points,
So opportunity knocks. Even though the Bears have been opportunistic

(04:58):
and doing shades that Lovey Smith era with the turnover
differential has been ridiculous, LeVar, LaVar, Lamar to make some
ay see now I'm all conflated, all right. Number three
Jalen Hurts against the Giants. He was eighth Week six
with twenty one point six. You know me, I love
these schedules when we play these meaningful games before we're

(05:21):
even at the halfway mark. But I'll stop complaining Giants'
third most twenty one point two points per game allowed.
How about a little bit of bo Nicks against Dallas
worse versus quarterbacks. He had forty last week. He's got
three games under fifteen, So there is some risk involved here.
Trevon Diggs will not be available here. More information coming

(05:43):
out and saying it's up to him to tell the
full tale of the concussion protocol. But they haven't ruled
out the ir so potentially some long standing things, but
looking for him to make some plays with his legs
and that's really where we're gonna get the differential. And
then it was at the coin flip at the back end,
I'm gonna go with Josh Allen against Carolina, a little counterintuitive.
They're tied for seventh best, giving up just fifteen point

(06:04):
seven points per game, but Allen for twenty point games
in his six played coming out of the bye week,
expecting more. And then the other on was a guy
on the injury list that we were watching. Baker Mayfield
looks like he's gonna go. He's down a couple of targets,
but he's played well, at least seventeen point seven points
his first six games of the year, looking for another

(06:26):
big spot.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Here, are you hoping for Lamar Jackson to play against
your Bears because you will be in Baltimore on Sunday?

Speaker 4 (06:32):
I am because I want to see best on best.
Do I want to see a win? Damn right, I do?
But you know, you travel cross country, you do all
that it's taken to put this together and put it
on the slate. Yeah, it would be a little disappointing
to not see him out there. Might give him a
better shot at a win, certainly, but yeah, it's that conflict, right,

(06:53):
I want to see the best game I can while
still bleed in the colors.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Yes, that should be atmosphere. Can't wait for the post
mortem after week eight. But before we get to that point,
we got to get to the running backs. Let's get
to the running back position. Mike, your top five for
week eight?

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Do we just put Bijon Robinson in sharpie at this point?

Speaker 4 (07:13):
Just leave him there? Look, he's third most in I'm sorry,
Miami's third most allowed at about twenty one a game.
He's third as well, but he's got eighteen plus points
in five of his six games thus far. Just absolutely absurd.
We go down the list a little bit further. I
mean Jonathan Taylor, that take the chalk fourthmost allowed our

(07:37):
Tennessee at twenty five a game. He's averaging twenty four
points per game two with fewer than thirteen, which means the.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Big hit can be there.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
But historically look at him against Tennessee and particularly the
way this offense hums at home look for big things
as well as bad as Miami is. I'm going to
take a shot that Devin a Chan gives us some
possibilities here. He's in low eleven points in week seven,
only a couple where he's really exploded, but I'm expecting

(08:06):
him in the passing game to be a bigger factor.
Atlanta mid against running backs given up about nineteen points
per game. So we'll take a little bit of a
price shot there. Let's get CMCN against Houston. His floor
eighteen point seven. It's more about him, and then you're
looking at a Houston run defense that well gives up

(08:28):
about eighteen point seven a game. How about that the
convergence of those worlds, and certainly as a pass catcher
in your half or full PPR leagues, he's getting it done.
And then Finally, and as much as it pains me
to say it, it's a great spot here for Derrick Henry.
You're looking at the Bears giving up eleventh most at
twenty point nine points per game. For Henry, he ranks twentieth.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
On the year.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Right now, thirteen fantasy points are fewer and five straight. Yeah,
we're not getting bailed out by any pprs here, but
with Lamar Jackson healthy, ish, it's a good spot for
Henry to have a little bit of a rebound.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Well, maybe there will be some bare appearances in the
hot plays coming up, or possibly Ninjas, but right now,
not necessarily the case when it comes to a guy
like DeAndre Swift. So you will have to keep tune
here to I want your flex But before we get
to the hot plays and coltzars and then just Mike's
got our wide receivers, who's your top five for this week?

Speaker 4 (09:25):
Joe Flacco is elite, which means Jamar Chase is too.
All right, Sauce Gardner's not playing so all of a sorry,
the opportunity notch here. And Eric Glent's not going to
tell you whose quarterback is just because he doesn't want
to either. It's my party, and I'll cry if I
want to twenty or more points in three straight games.
Jets eighth best. Again, that's what we've seen, not what

(09:49):
Week eight holds for us. As we look at it.
Rashid Rice, let's push him up tenth. Most generous too.
Wide receivers are the Commanders at nineteen point seven point
return and for Rashi Rice last week and again, that
over under is now pushed out to forty eight with
the Chiefs as a twelve point favorite. Let's push all
in on the receiving core there. Number three, Let's go

(10:11):
down to a Mika Abuca. Again, it's the assumption that
Baker is up and ready to go going up against
New Orleans Middling against pass catchers are the Saints. And
you look at Abuca at six. He's got three games
of more than eighteen points, so so long as he's healthy,
said it, forget it. We look at Courtland Sutton going
up against Dallas, their worst against wideouts. No surprise there,

(10:35):
He's ranked tenth, even though he's only got one game
with more than sixteen point six points. Consistency has been
the order of the day for him. And then finally, finally,
I really debated on this one. But I'm gonna go
with Ceedee Lamb just because the physical matchup. Now, am

(10:55):
I worried about the travel buddy that Patrick Certan is.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
You know, you gotta have a.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Past travel buddy wherever you go, but best against opposing
passing games. But nineteen point five points in his return.
The fact that you've got ferguson, the fact that you
got Williams of the backfield, and of course on the
other side you got George Pickens means should be some
opportunity for Lamb that maybe that safety helped Shades elsewhere

(11:22):
and you just throw it up and make it happen
with Dak a little bit of a risk reward proposition
here at the five spots.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
I can tell you this, It's gonna look good in
Denver on Sunday because the throwbacks for the Denver Broncos
are going to be worn. Yes, it will look like
Super Bowl twelve, the Cowboys and Broncos playing.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Yes, I don't remember super Bowl twelve. It was I
was just looking at it right now. January fifteenth, nineteen
seventy eight. I turned one the next day, so that's
when Super Bowl twelve happened between the Broncos and Cows.
But the Broncos wearing their throwback, So that's what it's
going to look like, because the Cowboys are going to
wear those stupid white uniforms. Oh, I can't stand those,

(12:06):
just can't stand them.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
Well, just put all our mind towards that sweet ass
Broncos logo. Memories of Craig Morton. Yes, course I was.
I had just turned five, so I was more worried
about my Batman under rus and which action figure was
going to be under the Christmas tree magnificent.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
All right, there they are your top five quarterbacks, running backs,
and wide receivers for Week eight of the NFL season.
Mike's got some hot plays, cold sores and ninjas. Plus
Ian's got a points of palooz. Excuse me at Streaming Defense,
I got a points of palooza for you as well.
Comes up later in the show. Stay tuned more here
on I want your flex all right, hit us up again,

(12:46):
Mike at Swollen, don't find me at dan Byer on Fox,
find Ian at Ian Roddy Underscore or Ian Underscore Roddy
on Blue Sky, Mike Harmon on Blue Sky and Dan
Byer on Blue Sky. I got to check in on
the Blue Sky account, guys, I got on. Gotta admit
I'm a little behind on it. So hopefully there aren't
fantasy questions from last year that we have missed. But
if you ever want to try to reach out, that's

(13:08):
where you can do so.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
Pretty sure, I'm gonna just get my cell phone number.
I'm gonna steal from our guy Petros Papadekas. I'll get
a second phone that you can text, yes, unless I won't.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
Well, you got some hot plays for a week eight, Mike,
even with the six teams on by who made your
list that maybe didn't make your top five.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
All right, let's keep it rolling.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
Drake May Cleveland third best against opposing passing games. But
I'm looking at him with twenty or more points five
of his last six. Things starting to get together with
a bit of balance and definition, So a little bit
of a price shot, particularly because again we are dealing
with those pesky buys not to mention all the red
ink next to quarterback names on your roster. So Drake

(13:50):
maya guy that is right on the border of QB
two status. But for the purposes here, let's push them
full and nominate him for greatness. Jackson Dart against Philly.
They're middling against quarterbacks. He's got seventeen or more Fantasy
points in each of his starts. Ceiling might be a

(14:10):
bit lower here, but we look for him until he's
broken in half to keep running us to fantasy glory,
as will Daniel Jones at times. He's got two duds
on the slate, but fourth for fantasy purposes. Four games
with at least twenty two points Tennessee seventh best. So
a little counterintuitive there, but at home we know how
good that cold squad.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Is running backs real quick.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Yeah, let's get Saquon Barkley and why because I need
I need to see some semblance of greatness once again.
And I think with the offense and the passing game
getting back together against the middling Giants.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
He gets a bigger workload this week.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Jalen Warren against Green Bay fourth best against running backs.
Season high seventeen point eight for Warren last week, four games,
double digits on the year. I'm not looking for a
massive thirty point performance, but a guy to get us
across the finish line here in revenge game, especially if
they go full release. Aaron Rodgers is gonna have to
get rid of the ball really fast before he meets

(15:08):
Michael Parsons way too often. Rashad White going up against
New Orleans, their twelfth most generous. He's got three games
with at least thirteen points. Chase Brown, first double digit
game since week one. Last week, he's.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Thirty first guys, thirty first. He's making me look like
an idiot.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Yeah, I like him too as well. I know, not
as much as I like Jerry Judy, who's been even worse.
But I did like Chase Brown.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Yeah, but you took a gamble on Cleveland.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
I did, now, I stayed in Ohio.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
But I thought Joe Burrow would be upright. I mean,
at one point the man was owning a batmobile.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
I don't know what's going on.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
I thought Joe Burrow would be great in Ohio. I
just got the wrong city. That's the only problem. Now,
I thought Cleveland instead of Cincinnati.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
That's why we had, you know, Chase and yeah, I'll
tell you what. And that Joe Flaka would keep winging
it until they'd got rid of him, right, Yeah, exactly.
Ohdun'say going up against Baltimore again, Price shot the fourth
most generous best defense thus far. He's back to back
with fewer than five points, though, guys so looking to

(16:10):
maybe rediscover some early greatness. Olave going up against Tampa
and we know the targets have been there time and
time again. And then George Pickens against Denver because he'll
pick off whatever ced Lamb can't against Patrick Sartain.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Yeah, I made a swap in my longtime league this week,
but I wanted to keep George Pickens. I just feel
that there's enough there for the offense. And here's a
you know situation too, where As, as you mentioned earlier
with Ceedee Lamb, you're not sure about Patrick Sortan's situation.
But if he does follow Ceede Lamb, then George Pickens
gets what he gets.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
That's it. Trying to figure out how they want to.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
Play that who they decide play to play is the
most dangerous in formation. A great chess match to come.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
All right, now, let's get to the cold soars. The
guys you don't want in your lineup for week eight
of the season.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Mike, should I put Caleb Williams on this list? Or
am I causing myself harm by doing so? Five point
seven points last week. Guys, only two explosive games on
the year, and it looks like a great spot against Baltimore.
But we've watched it, it's been uneven We've talked about
it a lot. Winning ugly nineteen eighty three White Sox

(17:16):
revisited Dak against Denver. You're not benching him, but this
is one where he's towards the back end of the
QB ones for me when you look at it Denver
with that pass defense, I don't know how to categorize
last week's game one of the most odd and we
talked about it on the pods earlier in the week.
That game against the Giants one of the oddest I've

(17:37):
seen in an NFL season. So what we see here
with Dak, perhaps he comes out and has another dominant performance.
I'm not quite so sure that we do. Jordan Love
against Pittsburgh again. He's only gone for more than seventeen
points twice this year, sixteen or fewer four times. He's

(18:00):
sixteenth amongst quarterbacks. Now, Pittsburgh's been pretty generous when that
defensive line can't get home. And that's the question here.
Which pass rush do we see in this game against
green Bay, Stevenson, Dobbins, Kamara the three running backs that
we're gonna sit down. Stevenson seems to be a staple
on this list. Not that we're gonna see Henderson pop up,

(18:23):
but Cleveland's run defense we know has been great, and
we really haven't seen much in terms of explosiveness from Stevenson.
All you can guarantee is the touches. So he's a
back end too for me, as is Dobbins.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Again.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
Not looking for Harvey to take him over just yet,
but a back to back duds for Dobbins, and I
think you're very, very touchdown dependent for him, so I'm
afraid of and Kamara one top twenty five appearance his
last five, Good luck with that. Zave Flowers against Chicago

(18:56):
eleven orzo point three or less. Five straight games potential
there against Bears defense again, Top ten, most generous ninth
to be specific, twenty four in Week one for Flowers.
He's been quiet ever since, so we'll see what happens there.
Juwan Jennings against Houston. We've talked about their secondary. He's

(19:16):
been better than five points in a game once. A
lot of wishing it open there. And Jalen Wattle. Why
because I get a John Cena reference to us that
he can't see him.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
Yeah, that was strange. That was very odd.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
I you're not winning.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
You might have been winning the war with McDaniel where
he looked petty and you know, you know, standoffish and whatever. Yeah,
but then you lost any good will you might have
had by making that statement.

Speaker 5 (19:41):
Also just hurts incoming quarterback prospects who are on the
smaller side. You know, it's just telling teams yep, this
is an actual deficiency.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
That's a good point there, you go.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
It's something I mean, we've all talked about, right, you
doing your your draft work, Ian and what we've talked
about Dan, you and I for years. Right, that's always
the question. Go back to Breeze. Good look at Kyler Murray,
all those they said the quiet part out loud. It
was supposed to be us for theorizing guys what they
could see.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
It's crazy to think that that would pop up in
week seven of what season six or seven for Tuas.
So yeah, yeah, all right, they're the cold source four
week eight, Mike, Let's get to some of the ninja plays.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
Let's go to.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
Aaron Rodgers here, seventeenth seventeen point six points per game.
That's what green Bay is giving up. Do we just
double down after a big Rogers game last week? That
revenge is on his mind?

Speaker 3 (20:33):
Yeah, I think. I think Pittsburgh feeds into that. I
really do. I'm surprised Green Bay's the favorite that they are,
to be honest.

Speaker 5 (20:40):
Think about all the dogs in the green Bay area
that are named Rogers and all the children that are
named Aaron and the children. This is a big, big,
big day for green Bay.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
He pulled the children card out nice sleep well and
then saying all the nice things about how he wants
to you know, retire there, you know, tire with the
Packers and all that. Meanwhile, he's you know, thinking up
a big plot for like a great sequel.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
In a movie. Yes, yes, maybe we write that one.
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
They always welcome back to green Bay, like they yeh,
at some point or another. It'll happen, probably still later
rather than sooner, but it'll happen.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Yeah, he still owns territory in Chicago.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Yes, that's true.

Speaker 4 (21:21):
You know, he's at least got that one corner of
the end zone that still is. Does that travel with
him to Arlington Heights. We'll see Andy Dalton going up
against Buffalo. Bryce Young downgraded to doubtful. So let's let's
take a shot here the veteran who just has no
conscience in this one, and we'd like the Carolina offense
right the the running game certainly Chewba Hubbard, a guy

(21:44):
that qualifies as a ninja because of the love of
Rico Dudele. He only had six point five in his return.
But looking for a little bit of a bigger workload here.
Tyler Algier going against Miami. If the game plays to script,
both running backs get get fed in this one. He's
got three double digit games on the year, three with

(22:04):
fewer than three points, so a feast or famine as
it were mentioned. Joe Flacco earlier five to sixty one,
five touchdowns, zero picks in his two games, Sauce out
with the concussion, so opportunity here for him. Brishard Smith
with the Chiefs had a big game last week, nineteen touches,
goes for eighty one total yards. Let's double up here.

(22:26):
Montaguy with the Bears, big touch count last week. So
for flex position, when you got six teams on buy,
opportunity would he marks in the passing game question mark
given all the injuries and issues they've got going on there,
Ted McMillan going back to Carolina for a moment, Tess
Johnson with all the injuries in Tampa. If Baker Mayfield

(22:49):
was a little more accurate, that was really odd, and
we talked about it on the pod. Go back, folks
if you haven't listened to those episodes about the missed
opportunities there, and then how about Marvin Mins as one
last three games with nine or more points and perhaps
an opportunity here against that Dallas secondary.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
You know, it is interesting in looking at the Broncos
receiving core. I picked up Mims a couple of weeks ago,
and it actually spans off of your Courtland Sutton deal.
Sutton's numbers haven't been huge when I've watched the Broncos,
it's Sutton of the other guys, like it's it's the

(23:27):
it's the lead singer and everybody else. And so Mims
gets a little bit more action. Franklin's been there, Ingram's
been there. But against the Cowboys defense, you're hoping that
maybe it could be a little bit more of a
of a point fest. But I think that that pecking
order that you have in Denver is correct.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
Well that's the one, right, fifty point five, that's the
highest of the week. So perhaps some fireworks there, but
you know, looking for consistency in that Denver game. Denver
offense too, right, I mean, it's it's been kind of
herky jerky. They get to the finish line, but it's
certainly not a smooth ride.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
Absolutely there they are your ninjas for Week eight of
the fantasy football season. Now it's time for Mike to
kick back, maybe do some packing for his Baltimore trip,
and then Ian and I will take over and Mike
can weigh in and his thoughts on Ian streaming defenses
and my survivor and points of Baloza. It's all next
here and I want your Flex. Welcome back to I

(24:22):
Want your Flex. He is Mike Carmen. I'm Dan Byer.
That's Ian Roddy. Hit Ian up at Ian Roddy Underscore.
You could find me at Dan Bayer on Fox, and
of course find Mike at Swollen Dome. It's streaming Defense's time.
Ian gives you three defenses that you may want to
stream and on a weekend again, where there are six
teams on buy you may need one for this week.

(24:44):
Ian who you're targeting in the streaming defenses.

Speaker 5 (24:46):
Three b teams this week is Bill's, Bucks, and Bengals.
Yeah not intention well, so yeah, let's let's.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
Start with the Bill both the Killer Bees. That's my
fantasy nickname, by the way, my longtime league Chris Yet.

Speaker 5 (25:01):
But yeah, Bills forty three rostered. They're playing against the
Panthers and Bryce Young. Panthers are on a little bit
of a win streak here three games, but I don't know,
do you guys see them winning four in a row.
I'm not really sure I do, especially when they're facing
a team like the Bills that stands between them and
that fourth straight win. Andy Dalton is also starting in
Bryce Young's place, so not as much chemistry with his receivers,

(25:22):
and the Bills are also coming off of bye week,
so just extra time to prep coming in. I like
the Bills in this week, and then Buccaneers fifty rostered.
The Bucks are playing against the Saints, who haven't been
quite as good of a streaming opponent as we might
have expected coming into the year, but they are coming
off a tough week against the Bears, who we streamed
last week and they ended up getting you fifteen fantasy points.

(25:44):
The Saints ended up taking four sacks and four giveaways
in that game last week, so hoping for a repeat
performance there against a decent Buccaneers defense coached by Todd
Bowles always has a solid defensive group. And then lastly
the Cincinnati Bengals. They are the lowest ross here fourteen
percent rostered, and that's because as a real life defense,
they're not good at all. They're really bad. But they're

(26:08):
playing against the Jets, and they the Jets, as much
as I hate to say it, they've been a streaming
defense target this season. No Garrett Wilson again, and Mason Taylor,
who's probably their number two target, he's questionable going in.
So I don't know who they're throwing the ball to.
We don't know if it's Fields, we don't know if
it's Rod Taylor. So yeah, but here's the thing. If
it's Field, there will be a lot of sacks to

(26:29):
be had for the defense. If it's Taylor, there should
be a lot of interceptions to be had. So one
or the other, depending on who the quarterback is.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
It's I feel like it's when you get an RSVP
and you just don't want to answer. That's how I
feel that Aaron glenn is with this quarterback scenario, like.

Speaker 5 (26:46):
He doesn't want is that he literally just doesn't want
to ye it just.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
Doesn't want to deal with Bengals, by the way, little
extra rest because of the the Thursday game that they
had last week. Trey Hendrickson question genobole. He didn't play
in that Thursday game. But that's what Hendrickson's listing is
on the injury report.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
All right, I love them? And where you going?

Speaker 4 (27:09):
Killer Bees Dan because of Jim Brunzell and b Brian
Blair or.

Speaker 5 (27:14):
I was going.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
I Well, first of all, my last name helps nothing
with the early eighties Dolphins defense of the They had
their own killer Bees. But I just like the killer
Bees aspect, and that was my that was my nickname
in my logo. I've used honeycomb guys, like a honeycomb pattern. Yes,
so if you ever had like an NFL team or

(27:39):
a college team with that bee sort of like I
think the honeycomb would go just along with the checkerboard
of like Tennessee. Yes, so we are the killer Bees
and my points of polouze. I'm going with the Bees,
the Bills, the Bills and Panthers as a points of palooza.
I don't trust Buffalo's defense to stop teams as much.

(27:59):
And do you feel that Carolina with Andy Dalton likely starting,
could get a bit of an uptick. I actually think
that Ted McMillan's a role increased a little bit here
with the guy like Andy Dalton. So I'm gonna go
Bills and Panthers as my points of palooza. Couldn't do
Cowboys in Denver, but I don't even know if I
would do that one, Mike. I thought about your Bears

(28:20):
and Ravens, but that's another high one at forty nine
point five, so I felt that that was cheating. So
I'm gonna go Bills and Panthers as my points of
paloza this week.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
I like that the Andy Dalton, he may give it,
he may taketh away. Yeah, maybe spectacular from the Bill's
side coming out of the buy is interesting, you know,
just kind of looking at random data points, and I
know the Chiefs from a ownership standpoint and play are
pretty big. Just one point to make. I don't know
that I've ever seen a team defense with better lower however,

(28:51):
we want to term it odds than the Chiefs. Anytime
touchdown is just four to one, that's usually reserved for
like first wide receivers.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Yes, that's Monday night crazy Arrowhead against Mariota. We think
the commander's wide receiver room should be a little bit
more uh complete, yes, complete, attended with Terry McLaurin and
Deebo Samuel seemingly on the right track. I mean mclaurin's
missed the month, but the Deebo ended up missing last week.

(29:21):
But yeah, you would hope that for the commanders would
be better. But that's interesting with the Chiefs, whose defense
hasn't been you know the defense we've seen in the
last couple of years.

Speaker 5 (29:30):
Right, that is it's almost like they they expect they
not only expect there to be turnovers, they expect those
turnovers to directly lead to touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
Yes, yeah, right, yeah, must know something.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
Yeah, I saw that one and I was like, wow,
I don't think it'll come up in any of the
data points, but I just think it's an interesting point
to bring up, like going deeper into those you know,
the prop bet market, which again you know, over the
our overarching world in Fire Sports Radio this week, Ian
Dan obviously a lot about the betting markets, but it

(30:04):
is information that we used to try to talk about
games and we have forever.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
It's useful tools. So there's one we have for this week.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
We are now in week eight in Survivor pools. One
Survivor pool I entered had a double pick week. Last week.
I ended up using the Kansas City Chiefs in one
of my picks in that spot, used Denver. So I
think we talked about it got completely saved by the
comeback last week. But Survivor this week, Kansas City is
one of the two double digit favorites this week, so

(30:36):
that would be a pick that I would normally do.
I've used them in the Survivor pools and I'm still
alive in but I use them. I used them against
the Giants because I didn't think Kansas City was as
good at the start of the year, and then when
you looked at the slate of games, you're like, wow,
that's kind of a bit of a murderer's row. This
commander's team. You thought, Okay, Jayden Daniels is going to

(30:56):
be there, other pieces are going to be there. Now
it's not the case. So if you've saved the Chiefs,
good on you for that. That's not going to be
my pick.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
Though.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
Here I got one pick that I think is the
safe pick, and I go back to two weeks ago
when the Giants beat the Eagles on Thursday Night Football.
The reason I didn't pick pick the Eagles in that
week for a survivor pick was because I wanted them
this week. So now with them losing to the Giants,
there is no way the Giants are going to sweep

(31:24):
the season series from Philadelphia. It is not going to happen.
I don't care if a J Brown doesn't play in
the game. That is not going to happen. Plus, the
Eagles are wearing their Kelly green uniforms. So I am
so of the favorites, of the significant favorites about a touchdown.
I am on the Eagles over the Giants. I'm violating
my division game rule. And then my other one Bengals

(31:47):
over the Jets. Sorry, Ian, just have to roll with
it all.

Speaker 5 (31:50):
I would pick it too.

Speaker 3 (31:51):
There are the early window has a bunch of six
and seven point spreads that we've talked about, guys. With
the Bengals and Falcons Falcons. This is another one that
I liked, But again, it's a long trip back home
after a Sunday night game, and I could see where
you'd want to go Atlanta, But I'm going to just
put my eggs in the basket of the Bengals. If

(32:13):
Aaron Glenn can't decide on a quarterback right now.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Yeah, I don't think I'd go anywhere near that Atlanta
Miami game.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Yeah, Like, even if you're.

Speaker 4 (32:20):
A casual, you know, hey, a little bit of wager
or from the fantasy purposes pushing in, it's a little
bit of a nerve racking one. Just with all of
that noise, is this one where you get a solid
effort on both sides of the ball. Not a world beating,
but enough to where they show some heart because I think,

(32:41):
you know, I'm not one to question effort oftentimes, you know,
they're professional athletes, but this is one with every all
that noise, do you get one rally, not necessarily rally
for Tua or for McDaniel, but just for their own
personal pride, because really it's been assailed as a fifty
three man unit as much as it's just to us

(33:03):
standing alone and saying dumb things.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
Yeah, I worry about eight Chan, to be honest with you, Like,
could that be the game where he just kind of
does everything and the Falcons defense is maybe a little
bit worn out, maybe they're bruised and battered by facing
that forty nine Ers team. So I'm with you and
staying away from that one. I think New England's gonna
get a lot of run, but with that Browns defensive front,
you just never know. You never know if New England's

(33:27):
gonna have a slow I think New England's great, by
the way, But yeah, so we're gonna stick with the
Eagles and we're gonna stick with the Bengals. Plus with
the Bengals, there'd be a game later on in the
season where, if Joe Burrow comes back, you have a
home game against the Cardinals, Like, Okay, that's an absolutely
winnable game that they would have, especially if Burrow was there.
But otherwise, between now and then, not a lot of
games where I think you would pick the Bengals, especially
considering Flacco being the quarterback right now. So there's where

(33:50):
we are on survivor points of Poloza and the streaming defenses. Mike,
any final thoughts before you had to be more.

Speaker 4 (33:56):
Well, I'm hopeful for a big slate. We've got a
bunch of games that are that low forties guys. So
for fantasy purposes, I'm nervous, particularly my my Guillotine League.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
I'm projected to finish last man.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
Oh that's but you know.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
What I did right, So, like you know, the the
rule of engagement is remember, as you're building your roster,
you're not playing your regular fantasy football.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
And what did I do? I've got so.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
Many guys, like I've lost three guys for the year.
That's life. Everybody's got that. I am so killed by byes.
It's not even fun.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
It's a rough weekend.

Speaker 5 (34:35):
Bad.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
I think my whole receiving corps. And Nico Collins has
a giant question mark.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Next to him.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
Yeah, yeah, there's yeah, there's that. There's that as well.
Aside from the injuries, I mean, Detroit's off the off
the board. The Rams are fertile ground for fantasy. Jsn's
your top receiver in the NFL. He's not there this week.
So there's a lot missing with with the Bys.

Speaker 5 (34:56):
This week, I've got Quentin Quenton Johnston and our F
S R. G teen league. He got me a big
fat zero yesterday, almost as though he was on a
by way.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
So did you curse?

Speaker 4 (35:05):
Like you know, we were in the hallways about his
lack of involved because the All twenty two shows a
couple of times where Herbert probably should have looked his
way and didn't. Yeah, I mean, so stay away from
that film and I'll and rage.

Speaker 5 (35:19):
You too many drops on the tape. Herbert can't trust him.
I don't know. I don't know. He's out a good year.
So I was surprised too, But yeah, wild.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
Well we'll see if we'll see if Team Roddy can
can bounce back. You've got some buys as well to
deal with, so we shall see, all right. So for
Ian Roddy and Mike Carmon, Mike, safe travels, and we'll
talk to you on the other side on the trip back.
Before Mike Carmon, I'm Dan Byer, best of luck in
week eight. Talked to you after here on that waker
flex
