Speaker 1 (00:33):
The Thanksgiving feast is over.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Hopefully your fantasy football team feasted in Week thirteen.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
It's winning time.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Some leagues entering the final week of their regular season.
Others a couple of more to go. You got Fantasy
Daily Fantasy contest going on. Survivor is starting to wind down.
Guillotine leagues are getting slimmer and slimmer.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
It is time of the year. It is December. Welcome in.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Hit Mike up at Swollen, don't find me at Dan
byer on five and find our executive producer, Ian Roddy
at Ian Roddy Underscore and Mike. Week thirteen provided a
lot of excitement. It just felt like it happened to
the first four games of the week. On Thursday and Friday.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Well, it just did.

Speaker 5 (01:12):
It was interesting coming in Sunday morning to do the
show with Greg Cosell. That was kind of the open.
We go, well, how do we top the four games
we already had. Now, we had some moments, we had
some big plays, everybody got reintroduced to Treylon Burks on
Sunday night and things of that nature. But overall, yeah,

(01:34):
I mean, the first four games were just so captivating,
so heavy in stakes for the actual NFL world. But
I got to think in a lot of cases, I
certainly had it. In one of the key matchups I
was tracking. A lot of the principles were done by
Friday afternoon. It's like, all right, well we got got
a kicker in a defense or whatever, but most of

(01:56):
the principals had already played out.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
It was crazy, actually, because those games also produced points.
Even you know, your Bears had two one hundred yard rushers.
Aj Brown went off on Friday, as you alluded to.
And then we had the Packers and Lions playing a
nice high scoring affair. Cowboys and Chiefs answered the bell
as well, and then Joe Burrow comes back those couple

(02:19):
of touchdown passes Jamar Chase over one hundred yards.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Yeah, it was. It was a fun four games over
that span.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
The funny thing about it, as I thought Sunday night
was such a letdown, no disrespect to the Broncos and Commanders,
but then they maybe play the most exciting game of
the week and going into overtime and then the two
point conversion the return of Terry McLaurin for the Commanders,
I know, too little, too late, but fantasy wise, and
put him in a lineup and he ended up coming
through for me. So even the back end of Week

(02:47):
thirteen was was pretty good with some mentioning McLaurin coming back,
some names coming back in the fold in addition to
Joe Burrow.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Yeah, we started seeing a little bit of happier charge,
right CJ. Stroud gets back on the field. While he
didn't put up a big fantasy day, you just say, Okay,
there's at least another another potential weapon and a guy
that we had counted on beginning of the year. Sorry,
Davis Mills, I celebrate your entire catalog, but you know,

(03:15):
when we go back and we have our laundry list
of guys that have started at least one game it's
nice to get those familiar names back in. I don't
know that there was a more anticipated return though, than
Joe Burrow on Thursday Night, because honestly, on both sides
of that equation when you look at him and Lamar Jackson.
I went into that game and I'm like, I have
no idea what I'm about to watch, which is exciting

(03:39):
and kind of weird when you're in week thirteen of
a season, right, It's like, I don't know. Chase Brown
goes over one hundred total yards. Again, Burrow looks good
and confidence says all the right things. No t Higgins,
but Yoshavash with the big twenty nine yard touchdown reception.
But just all the mixing and matching, and you look
at some of the strange bedfellows, and we talk about

(04:00):
this all the time as the year goes on, just
how weird it catch? Right, Tarrod Taylor's your number seven
quarterback for the week. Ad Ni Mitchell a guy whose
names on your lips not for dropping the ball, but hmm,
is he a guy that I can ansert as my
WR three down the stretch question mark?

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Right?

Speaker 5 (04:19):
Marcus Marioto, we mentioned him with the big game that
he had he was third, and just go on down
the line, just all sorts of just absolute oddities across
the fantasy realm. In the running back room.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
RJ.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
Harvey had the big night, Chewba Hubbard was back as
a stud for a week. Now they're on a bye
week for week fourteen, so you can't ride that new
Hothand but what does that mean because we had all
celebrated and built statues de Rico dowdele gone and it's
out of a knight finishes as a high RB two.
Welcome back Bucky Irving right there. So it's some happy returns,

(05:01):
but also some uncertain landscape in receiving cores and in
the running back rooms that may shake up the stretch
run and leave folks with some big conundrums in the
back end of the rosters.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
You know, I'll just I'll start there since he said
his name in Bucky Irving, because Tampa is really interesting
to me.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
So they beat Arizona in Week.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Thirteen in a game where statistically Arizona was the better
team fantasy wise. There was more production from there, but
you mentioned Irving ends up taking over the workload in
that backfield and his first came back, and honestly, they'd
kept him out long enough so you would hope that
he would be fresh, but there was no easing him

(05:46):
back into action. But what's also interesting here with Tampa
is Mike Evans could be coming back sooner rather than later.
The possibility that Todd Bowles had mentioned on Monday of
of Evans possibly returning to practice sound more promising.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Now.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
I don't think you're going to see him against the
Saints in Week fourteen.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
However, if he's.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Been in your lineup and you're entering the playoffs a
week fifteen, a week sixteen could be realistic. I just
hope that Baker Mayfield's all in one piece. But Tampa
could be a team that we thought at the beginning
of the year would be a fantasy gold and now
they're starting to get some of their pieces back.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
If just Baker can stay healthy.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Well, I now you have a word that Jalen McMillan's
getting back on the practice.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Yeah, him as well.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Here arns right.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
It's a ramp up and more a longer tail to
where for fantasy purposes, may not be ready in time
to where you'd trust him in a lineup. But if
he's on the field, suddenly it makes Evans or Godwin
or insert option here that much better.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, it is one of the things that
I think. It was one of the games on Sunday
that ended up kind of being lost. But you talk
about Bam Knight coming through Trey McBride, excuse me, Trey
McBride as I can say it in my German accent,
just like the fans in Germany. He continues to produce

(07:11):
at Marvin Harrison Junior and Jacoby Brissett. By the way,
the Cardinals side of things, there's gonna be no Kyler
Murray this week, so you don't have to worry about
him taking anything, as they will welcome the Rams to
town on Week fourteen.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
But yeah, just I thought that.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Game was interesting from the schedule where it kind of
just blended in with everything else after the great games
earlier of the week. Mike, what stood out to you
elsewhere in Week thirteen in the NFL season?

Speaker 5 (07:36):
Well, I think just that we're at that dividing line
even looking ahead to Week fourteen, where you've got six
matchups of teams that have winning records, and that's where
we're at week to week it's just such a roller coaster. Again,
I'm not doing that just because I'm looking at my
scorecard and all the red ink and curiosities right of

(07:58):
what a coulda should have. But it's more just a
I don't know which team is showing up for a
lot of these squads, and maybe it's just the recency
bias I felt in years past, at this point we
usually had a pretty good idea of what kind of
effort we were going to get right and what kind
of statistically where we were going to go. I mentioned

(08:20):
the toad Taylor, Well, I didn't expect him to be
a dud, but to finish as a top five, top
seven pit player for the week kind of stood out
to me. The happy returns and some of these other
big performances, the receiving corps and trying to parse through

(08:41):
has just been really interesting, right, Dantavian Wicks, all right,
we're waiting on Jayden Reid, We're waiting on big efforts
from Christian wattson Nope over there so that guy, and
trying to pick your poison on some of these receiving corps.
And sometimes we can look at a defense and say, Okay,
they're gonna play him, So we like the number two option.

(09:03):
But then you have teams like Green Bay, which we've
lamented the way they operate going back to last year
with those cool graphics of here's eight guys with four
hundred plus receiving yards. That doesn't help me fantasy wise
down the stretch to where Okay, Jordan Love I can say, Okay,
he's gonna have a great game. Who's scoring, I don't know,
And that's and that's a tough place to be.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Yeah, especially is you know, like in the Green Bay situation,
if Tucker Craft was healthy, you'd feel comfortable with him,
and you feel comfortable with Josh Jacobs, but yeah, otherwise
you don't know. And even within within that four, like
like Dan Davian Wicks has always been the one. He's like,
look out for him, look out for him, and it's just, yeah,

(09:48):
there's really no reason to play him. But to your point,
you never know on where these second, third, and fourth
guys which end up mak it, you know, soda and frustrating.
You mentioned the Jets and Ian's team and it's not
a Jets comment, but the Jets, like Minnesota in Week thirteen,

(10:12):
had no business having Brozemer on the field like there
was that was that was just a train.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
Wreck, unconscidable. As much as I love the biomedical student,
and I watched a bunch of vignettes about him dan
Ian to learn who he was beyond the Van Dijk Beard, Wow,
that was terrible.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
That's that that stuff shouldn't be happening in the National
Football League. That's you know, Nathan Peterman esque. And unfortunately
Nathan Peterman never shook that from his career. Nope, right,
like he had stuck around in the league for a while.
But the five interceptions that Nathan Peterman threw his Rookie
of the Year, we have never forgotten that, and we
are never going to forget Max Brosmer's four interceptions, including

(10:56):
the awful skyhook that he threw to Ernest Jones. The
fourth I was ran back for a touchdown. But the
reason I bring up the Jets and the reason I
bring up the Vikings is there are bad teams out there,
and now it's trying to decipher who is bad and
playing tough and who's ready to pack this baby in
and you know, call it a season. And I don't
think Minnesota is there with McCarthy coming back, But the

(11:20):
Jets sure aren't packing it up and packing it in
and moving on with their season. So like when I'm
even looking at Survivor pools or you're looking at you know,
other matchups of streaming defenses or whatever, like, the Jets
to me are a team where, all right, I'm not
loading up because this team is actually competitive and there's
something to play for. So you got to find those

(11:41):
teams around the National Football League over these next couple
of weeks that you just kind of feel are just
punting on the rest of the season, you see.

Speaker 5 (11:48):
And that's the curiosity of where we've been with this is,
you know, go back to Miami a few weeks back.
It seemed like they were at that point, and now
they've won what four or five?

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Has it been?

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Pretty right?

Speaker 5 (12:02):
They still have a puncher's chance to finish as a
wildcard squad. That's how messed up the standing and that's
why this is beautiful, Like this year has been fantastic.

Speaker 6 (12:11):
Not even certain McDaniel's getting fired anay no, but that's just.

Speaker 5 (12:13):
It, right, He's probably gonna get a stay of execution.
They do some shuffling around because they're fighting for him,
and then you get the videos of like Deebo, Samuel
and former players coming up and hugging him and seeking
him out wherever he is on a field, Like there's
there's a lot more there. Like, he's a guy and
we've talked about it. He's an interesting SoundBite. He's a

(12:35):
guy that if you said, all right, pick three guys
to sit and have a beer with in the NFL,
he's on my metal stand for Like, I have no
idea what we talk about, but I'm sure it would
be fascinating as hell, and I like love to ask
him some offensive questions, no question, But like I'm looking
at a lot of these teams and I'm not seeing

(12:55):
where the definitive give up is, like even New Orleans.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Right, we talk about Chuck for his you know.

Speaker 5 (13:02):
Top twelve Fantasy format vala Olave wasn't supposed to go.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
He's out scoring a touchdown.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
Now he missed another play that he would make probably
in his sleep ninety nine times. But that one hundred
that falls incomplete. I mean, Pittsburgh and Baltimore they're not good,
but they're battling going Like.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Even the Raiders they're terrible.

Speaker 5 (13:23):
They're firing everybody and leaving pieces off, but you know,
they're they're still showing a little bit of fight. Do
I trust anybody outside of Bowers at this point. No,
But but it's just that that, you know, there's still
so much chaos in the league, Like Arizona, they're still
coming at you. Jacoby Brissett, Marvin Harrison Junior was back

(13:45):
on the field, you know finished, you know what, set
near seventy yards or thereabouts. So they're still gonna come
and punch, and if nothing else, cam Ward's gonna.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Talk a good game at the podium. So yeah, I
mean they're terrible.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
Yeah, there's really nothing redemptive that we can find there.
Tony Pollard, I think is averaging a fall down in
one scoot.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
God, so about three yards.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
I feel stupid for even mentioning on a podcast last
week that I thought that Titans could have a chance
to take down the Jaguars like it is.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
That is just a bad handicap.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
That's a bad analysis by me because they don't have anything.
And I'm looking at the five teams that are eliminated
from the playoffs that have officially been eliminated, Titans are
one of them. But in the NFC Cardinals, Saints and
Giants and Giants have a buy coming up in the
in week fourteen. But it's just the fact of I

(14:43):
don't think any of those teams are quitting. You mentioned
the Saints in their fight back and Tyler Shuck and
what he's done. I think the Raiders are done. I
mean Ian Rappaport saying that the front office is like,
play the rookies. Pete Carroll's like, uhh, We're not gonna
do that. We're gonna gonna keep on fighting. There sure
seems to be a disconnect there, not only with Carroll

(15:04):
and Chip Kelly but everybody else. But yeah, those teams
in the NFC right now, there's a couple of those. Again,
I'd rather face Kyler Murray and the Cardinals than Jacoby
Weresett the Cardinals even though they're three and nine.

Speaker 5 (15:14):
No, that's it, right, And Kyler Murray was completing That's
the scary thing is like he was completing two thirds
of his past attempts, but they were for nothing, right, Yeah,
pushing the ball down the field not scary with your legs.
I really you know, we're not going to do it here,
But I think I really want more expository writing on
the Chip Kelly stuff. I found some of those little

(15:37):
quips and quotes about how things were going on in
those offensive meeting rooms very fascinating.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
Yeah, well, we can dive into a little bit more
of that after our time out. Because when he's not
even getting the play calls correctly because Carroll's trying to
run a different offense, man, pure.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Chaos in Las Vegas.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
How about that?

Speaker 1 (15:56):
But that's how they love it?

Speaker 4 (15:58):
All right, we are going to take a time out
more of what happened in week thirteen and looking ahead
to the week fourteen and the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
All of it's coming up next here. And I want
your flex.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
It is, I want your flex at Mike up at
Swollen don't find me at Dan Bayer on Fox, and
you can hit Ian Roddy, our executive producer up at
Ian Roddy Underscore. Mike and I threw some stuff out
that we thought peaud our interest in week thirteen.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Ian, Now it's your turn. What stood up for you
this past weekend?

Speaker 6 (16:26):
Yeah, there were a few things I wrote down. One
that we might have seen the last of the high
powered version of the Colts offense that we've kind of
become accustomed to by this point. Yes, obviously Daniel Jones
having the broken fibula, you know, plays a big role
in that. But they just don't look the same in
any facet at this point. And if you look at

(16:46):
the upcoming schedule that they have, it's pretty brutal. They
still have to play the Jaguars twice, They have the Seahawks, Dan,
your Seahawks, they have to play the Texan still like
it's just a it's a gauntlet coming up. They're now
tied at the top of the division when they had
that comfortable leads. So I don't even know if to
make the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (17:03):
Yeah, the Daniel Jones thing, I said it on Sunday.
If if Daniel Jones can't run, the Colts are done.
It's my Johnny Cochrane, that's that's and that was the case.
He ran once, he ran once for one yard. Yeah,
And it doesn't make it then easier for him to
throw the football if he's just because that's not who

(17:25):
he is. But I think that this has this has
something to do with that leg injury. He ran it
three times against the Chiefs, but just the one carry
against the Texans, and again Texans are a good defense,
but you have to be able to be mobile. You
have to be able to move, and to your point,
it takes away at dimension when you're playing away, you're

(17:47):
playing against these better teams, they take it away, and
then the Colts just don't look as dangerous, even with
Jonathan Taylor in the backfield.

Speaker 6 (17:55):
Yeah, exactly. But something else I wrote down a Mecca book.
He's quietly been really disappointing since his hot week five exactly. Yeah,
since his hot start to the year, and no one's
really talked about it much. He's still a top ten
receiver on the year just because of how well he started,
but he's had three straight stinkers now, and then before
that he did have a big game against New England

(18:15):
where he had twenty three Fantasy points, but before that
he had another three straight stinkers. So he's pretty inconsistent
right now. Like obviously he had that awesome start to
the year when it was every week he was catching
a touchdown. He's Baker's guy, but I don't know now.
I don't know now. He's still good, but it's like
it should be his show.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
In my cryptic note sending him to the Sin bin
for the week thirteen had written down one game with
more than seven point eight points in his last six.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
I think I did read that stat correctly.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
I may have botched others, but I know I may
have gotten it around it. I actually think I may
have gotten that one because it sounds like I felt
like I just had deja vu.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
There, you go, you back in. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
I also think this he's a rookie. This at some
point it was going to even out. Whether it be
because of the lack of weapons that were around him
to also draw attention, I think is a part of it.
But I just think ultimately, yeah, that was probably going
to happen. And now it'll be curious to see if
the things that we talk about with the Buccaneers do

(19:22):
end up happening, and if Baker is healthy or healthy
enough to see how things go. I'm really curious because
they have the Saints coming to town. It's a prime
survivor pick opportunity as well. But if Baker's not one
hundred percent, yeah, you never know, it could happen against
a team like the Saints. So yeah, Mecca, because I

(19:42):
just I feel like the rookie portion of it just
kind of ended up coming bringing him back to life,
because that's what happens for rookies in the NFL.

Speaker 6 (19:49):
Yeah, he definitely gets a little bit of grace because
he's a rookie. I don't know. And then the last
thing I had, I don't think this is like some
out on a limb take right now. It's been all
over the place, But George Pickens, is it at least
worth having? The conversation is like, is he better than
Ceedee Lamb? And that might be a wild question to ask,
and I'm not even sure that I believe it to

(20:10):
be the case yet, but man, he looks good and
Ceedee Lamb has been having his drop issues that have
kind of played him throughout his career, and Pickings just
catches everything and he's Dack's go to guy right now.
I don't know. Maybe maybe it's going a little far
to say he's better than Ceedee Lamb, but I there
are most games he looks like the Cowboys wide receiver
one and Ceedee Lamb's on the same team.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
So.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
Yeah, that yeah, I think I will.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
I still think it comes down to, you know, CD's
gonna be look number one. The drops certainly don't help.
But for Pickens that think he's the beneficiary of it.
I mean, look at the way defenses are are playing
given his past inconsistencies and temperamental issues like usually draw

(20:57):
the agitator corner that tries to jam and then gets
beaten up over the top. I think it's just the
most wonderful of circumstance to have a guy like ceed
Lamb with you.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
A quarterback who's willing to put the ball up that too.

Speaker 6 (21:14):
I just would say that when Ceedee Lamb was out
for those few games, Pickens didn't even miss a step.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
The funny thing that I thought in the the win
the previous week for the Cowboys was Pickens was nine
for nine on targets to receptions against Philadelphia, and then
target CD was I think four of eleven in that game.
And then you go against the Chiefs and it flips
a little like Pickens caught six of the thirteen his way.

(21:43):
CD caught seven of the nine for the one hundred
and twelve in a touchdown. I don't know who is better.
I actually think like in a one on one situation,
I'd rather have Pickens making the play. I feel that
he's got a better ability to get the ball. I
think CD gets open, you know, more like in that way.

(22:05):
So but yeah, six and one hand half dozen in
the other. I mean I love them both. I think
most people do, and nobody now is even batting an eye.
They're both, you know, in absolute play and coming into
the season, I think that we had questions about Pickens
and he's absolutely answered it in every feasible situation we
could think of.

Speaker 5 (22:25):
Yeah, I mean we look at it overall. I mean,
you've got a two hundred point season. You had two
monster games accounting for fifty of that, right weeks eleven
and twelve, surrounding that thirteen point eight this last week,
and then three games with fewer than twelve before the bye.
So like there's a couple of really big performances. Ye like,

(22:48):
but it becomes the eye test of man, I like
watching the explosiveness here versus what the final production really is.
So trying to balance that as well, Right, But it
does help. You do have a guy in Dak who's
been magnificent all season long. Go back to what they
did with Javonte Williams and bringing him in and he's

(23:09):
been great. So you add that balance to it. At
ferguson running the seam. You got a lot of things
that you're able to pull as a puppeteer, and it's
worked masterfully. Like they're just so much fun to watch
as an offense right now. And I love the fact
that they're winning, which begets a billion other arguments about

(23:29):
what the Cowboys are this year, But I do like that,
like it's a fun talking point, right given the reputation
of CD and let's face it, George Pickens was a guy,
giant question mark when he showed.

Speaker 6 (23:40):
Up, huge question mark.

Speaker 5 (23:42):
But you look at Pittsburgh, but it's now the history
of wide receivers. At some point they all go nuts
clinical term of course, but like it's one.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
Guy after the next. Yes, the on the other side
of the Cowboys.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
The other sideline of the Cowboys game on Thursday is
Kansas City.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
I don't know how you guys view the Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (24:07):
I think Thanksgiving was the anomaly and when you look
at their schedule, we didn't know how the backfield was
going to shake out. But again it was Kareem Hunt
backfield that Kansas City ended up having having it in
that contest. But now when you look at the Texans
you've got the Broncos another matchup with them on the
slate coming up. Sure, there's a matchup I believe with

(24:30):
Tennessee as well. But I think this is the this
is the this Chiefs team that I think we're going
to see over the next three or four weeks. Where
are you guys at with Kansas City?

Speaker 5 (24:44):
Well, I'd love to see the deep ball back into
play and at least being able to make some hits
down field which was missing early now, Rice and while
Worthy hasn't popped with the consistency that we'd hope for
maybe a little more of him downfield because you are
establishing perhaps a little bit better of a run game.

(25:06):
But Checko coming back having a hunt that that perhaps
we see a little bit better worked out. I mean,
Patrick Mahomes was the number one quarterback again, right, So
it's certainly for fantasy purposes, certainly not hurting him in
Travis Kelcey for all the folks that want him to
go away.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
What is he number two on the year for tight
ends in terms of yardage?

Speaker 1 (25:32):
Yeah, he had a bit of a resurgence right to
the position.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's I just look at the Chiefs
and I look at what Dallas provided, and Dallas provided
that opportunity of game and I don't think that game
script for Kansas City is coming up in their next
couple of weeks.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
Now, you got huge through this week, which is which
is awful. I mean because the offensive line, what do
they have. They're down three starters, right.

Speaker 6 (25:59):
Sus Simmons hurt now the rookie who's been pretty good.

Speaker 5 (26:02):
So yeah, so going up against that defensive front, I mean,
Patrick Mahomes has been a scramble god for you over
the course of the year as rushing yards or trying
to make things happen. He's really gonna need to be
on his game in that one.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
Yeah, that's that truly is an elimination game for the Chiefs, right,
I mean, they've got right now, they're sitting there at
six and six. Current playoff probability according to NFL dot
Com is thirty three percent. And so if you lose
to the Texans, you here six and seven, you then
lose the tiebreaker to the Texans, who will end up

(26:38):
being eight and five in that scenario, and and you
have games against the Chargers and the Broncos coming up
later on. Like it's it's really difficult for them to
bounce back from and so trying to win a game,
trying to make sure you win that game, which is
so important. I think that the Chiefs are going to
want to just figure out how to win the game.

(27:00):
You don't need to be having Mahomes throw it all
the time, you don't have your offensive line. As Mike says,
I would just be cautious with some of the Chiefs.
You're probably gonna play You're gonna play with Shei Rice,
you're gonna play Travis Kelcey, and you're gonna play Mahomes.
I just I don't know what my expectations. They wouldn't
be too high for those guys, especially in the week fourteen.

Speaker 5 (27:18):
Yeah lowered down in Week fourteen. The total is forty two,
and I think that's a that's pretty big ceiling for
YEAH th teams, right because of my trust in Houston's offense. No,
they scored twenty against a hurt Indianapolis team that lost
Sauce Garter and they needed a Nico Collins run to

(27:39):
find the ends. So hey, that all counts just the same.
But in terms of moving forward, remember CJ. Stroud and
that offense wasn't exactly clicking before he got hurt, So
that's suddenly not gonna get right against Bagnola in that defense.
But conversely, as you say, Dan, you know you're starting

(28:01):
those guys. But this is one of those weeks where
you're really hoping for a lot of other chaos across
the NFL.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
Yeah, Plus Sunday night football could be a little chilly
tempts in the twenties in Kansas City for that. So yeah,
i'd say temper your expectations. All right, We're gonna take
a time out. We're not talking about expectations. We're doing
our report cards. How do we do in week thirteen?
Plus Mike is a look at some waiver wire pickups
in advance of Week fourteen. Again, it's winning time in fantasy,

(28:30):
and we've got the answers for you next year, and
I want your flex all right, it is report card time,
Mike Harmon. How did the rankings look in Week thirteen?

Speaker 5 (28:42):
Some successes, I mean, Mahomes was first, so I'm gonna
give myself a gold star there.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
Drake May gave us a great performance. The rest of
the quarterbacks kind of kicked me in the teeth a.

Speaker 5 (28:54):
Chad scored his big touchdown early. Henry like we got
to double digits. We got the early touchdown that got
us across the finish line. Chase Brown over one hundred
total yards. Fantastic bunch of injuries in the wide receiving core,
which is terrible. Another touchdown for DeVante Adams. He cannot
be stopped. We talked about George Pickens. He gave us

(29:17):
a solid game, not a top five, but solid game.
And then Rashie Rice was in our top five. So
that's a little bit of a victory lap there. And
I wrote down Ceed Lamb's name appropriate nothing Dan in
a sixth slot for you as you and Bursha appreciate
you trying to handle my doctor slash serial killer note

(29:38):
sheet that is just replete with all sorts of goodness here.
Jacoby Brissette was a top ten quarterback for us. Goff
also finished top ten, which was great missus. Trevon Henderson.
We saw a lot of Ramandre Stevenson. Saquon Barkley gave
us another dud his sixth game of the year under

(29:58):
ten fantasy points. Had a possible big gainer on a
swing pass.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
Guess what he dropped it?

Speaker 5 (30:07):
Bears were giving up nearly one hundred and sixty yards
a game on the ground the last month. Move between
the twenties, fumble it after that, but get your yardage,
manh Yeah, so that's a huge dud.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Justin Herbert broke his hand.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
So yeah, that's boy. I'll tell you that. If it
wasn't for the Raiders, they they could have been in
real trouble.

Speaker 6 (30:28):
Yeah, play through it.

Speaker 5 (30:29):
Though, apparently he's gonna get surgery, surgery as by the
time we said, yeah, we tape. But yeah, so he's
expected to go next Monday. With Philadelphia coming to Los Angeles.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
He's gonna have a difficult time under center. Like you know,
they had a fourth and short in the first half,
like right after he returned to the game, and they
ran it out a shotgun. Yeah, you know, and with
Herbert at six', five you, know it's an, easy easy
sneak for, him but they didn't want To they didn't
want to risk anything with. It So i'm curious on
how that plays, out if he even plays at all

(31:03):
in that.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
Contest, WELL i.

Speaker 5 (31:04):
Think you just go back to all of those fourth
and shorts or whatever where he could run the ball
Because Philip rivers refused to do quarterback, sneaks go back
and pull.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
All those, players, Right.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
Ald, Days, yeah good, Up.

Speaker 5 (31:19):
Philip all right from our cold Source Caleb, williams he
was twenty, fifth so we'll take a victory lap. There
Daniel jones at. Seventeenth, look as soon as we found
out he had a broken leg exacerbated seventeen or fewer
now in four straight games for, Him tracy left with an.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
INJURY i can't take a victory. There With ruk.

Speaker 5 (31:41):
O'dowdell, well we talked About Cuba hubbard earlier in the,
show so we got that And abuca hit. Again adunza
recovered the on side, kicks so but that doesn't give
me any fantasy. Points And Justin, JEFFERSON i believe he's
now in the darkest ink pen THAT i could fine
in terms of my gold. Sores he's like emeritus at this,

(32:05):
point he's got a doctorate in that.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
COLUMN i may just continue to start him just out of. Spite,
yeah to be like you're gonna. Play it's almost like
just you, know making myself feel that pain because it
was THE i, mean at one point he had one
catch for negative four, yards, right they tried to get
him an easy catch and he lost four. Yards then

(32:30):
he got one for eight yards on like a third
and twenty one because there wasn't anybody even.

Speaker 1 (32:35):
Near AND i think they.

Speaker 4 (32:36):
Just, HONESTLY i think that they felt, bad like just
throw them, one get them on the plus side of the.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
Yard itche. Is it is so. Bad now you have
the commanders coming into.

Speaker 4 (32:46):
TOWN jj McCarthy should be back and you're, thinking, hey
you know things are looking, up but they're probably.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
Not but they can't get any lower than they were
in week.

Speaker 5 (32:55):
Thirteen do you remember the NOTE i had next to
him and, said quote maybe Better, NO JJ i E
brosban knows he's not in the league for. Long he's
just gonna wake it around and give him a. Chance
it was. WORSE i, mean that's staff that that like
everybody's seated at this. Point but maybe a couple of
you listening have not. That they could have spiked the

(33:18):
ball every down the last two weeks and finished with
a higher quarterback rating for McCarthy And brosebur the last
Two vikings.

Speaker 4 (33:28):
Games that skyhook of a pass on the fourth down
was just it was like a line drive right To
Ernest jones as, well which.

Speaker 5 (33:38):
Was worse that Or young Way KU's field goal attempt
On Monday.

Speaker 4 (33:43):
Night i've done that with a pitching wedge many a,
times or even a sand, wedge taking out the fifty
six or the, sixty and it just gets stuck and
there's nothing you can.

Speaker 7 (33:51):
Do it's, different, Though, hey you do you start around
that reverb when the is six inches into the, earth you?

Speaker 1 (34:02):
KNOW i, Mean i'm telling you it stings like you're getting.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
JAMMED i feel like you're, electrocuted like you're in caddy.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
Shit oh, man, WOW i still think, GOSH i Think
i'd still rather Be Young wayku than the brosemre.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
THROW i don't, know Maybe i'm.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
Wrong, no it was just.

Speaker 5 (34:21):
Interesting i'm, like because thinking about the, game it's, like all,
right this is a Guy New, Hampshire minnesota knows he's
not like he's already talking about like he's in grad school,
now like for. Kideesiology so like here's a shot winging.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
Around.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Fitting, Yeah vikings fans wanted to be put asleep during that.
Game that is very, fitting and he did his best
to allow that to.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
Happen. BELIEVABLE. J. J McCarthy back in week. Fourteen all, right.

Speaker 5 (34:53):
Last one quick, one, yeah Often, ninja just real. Quick
the victory laps For Trevor lawrence and R. J. Harvey
Sam darnold screwed. Me and DO i get Credit yoshavas
with a perfect night of one catch for twenty nine
yards in a.

Speaker 4 (35:09):
Touchdown, well it depends if you're talking About Isaiah, joshavas
WHICH i accidentally called him in the podcast at one
point and instead Of Andre. Yoshavas and but, yeah so
we'll take it With andre because he's the one that actually.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
Played, well there we. GO i think it WAS i
just Called.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
I'm a first name, Anymore Yoshi. Mike he's a member
of The mario.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
Universe, RIGHT i had to correct. MYSELF i don't know
where that came.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
On, Ian it's there's the long running joke that we
have with former Producer Ryan, berschinger HOW i Called Greg
Dorts greg Borch AND i KNOW i brought this up
on the podcast, again BUT i just know. It Whenever
dorts catches a, PASS i always remember saying. That and
so now WHEN i See, yoshavas And yoshavas has been
around for a, WHILE i just THINK i saw the

(36:01):
eye and for whatever, reason BUT i called Him isaiah
instead Of. ANDRE i know there was an eye in vowels.
INVOLVED i just didn't get in the right.

Speaker 5 (36:11):
Place i'm gonna give myself the brain fire freezes THAT i.

Speaker 3 (36:17):
Have it's far worse than.

Speaker 5 (36:18):
That. DAN i go to talk About Joe, burrow AND
i always it almost crosses my lips to call Him Carson, palmer, really,
Like i'm still obsessed with the now a high school
coaching champion here in Southern. California but, yeah that was
the last time that we had A bengals quarterback that

(36:41):
you really liked that was really.

Speaker 3 (36:42):
Good SO i equate the.

Speaker 5 (36:43):
TWO i don't know, why but every once in a,
WHILE i was, like, Yeah, Carl, no It's Joe.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
Burrow that's.

Speaker 4 (36:51):
Great, yeah, man it's nothing like The Kevin garnett And Kevin,
durant The Russell wilson and The Russell westbrooks that will
make him crossing that one's score, one but it. Happens So,
Ian what do you got for streaming? Defense is how
they work? Out In week thirteen is.

Speaker 6 (37:08):
A pretty good. Week we'll start with the worst as
always and then work our way. Up the worst defense
was the forty nine ers THAT i gave. You they's
still got you twelve fantasy. Points only allowed eight points
to The browns And Shaduur sanders recovered two fumbles And
sackshaudor three, times so pretty successful day. There, next The Miami,
dolphins they got you thirteen fantasy. Points they allowed seventeen

(37:30):
points to The saints And Tyler, schuck but they did
pick him, off they recovered a fumble and they sacked
him four, times so pretty good week there as. Well
and then lastly The Jacksonville, jaguars they got you fourteen fantasy.
Points they allowed three points total to Cam ward and The.
Titans they recovered two fumbles and sacked him three. Times so,
yeah got, twelve, thirteen and fourteen points respectively out of

(37:52):
our streaming defense this. Week good.

Speaker 4 (37:54):
WEEK i took Some Ian roddy advice and picked up
The dolphins and played the smart of you and winning
by just six tenths seven tenths of a. Point AS
i did in my league last, week lost by six.
Tenths this, WEEK i won by seven, tenths so the
play By Ian roddy led me to. Victory, VIGEY i

(38:15):
completely whiffed on points Of palooza for some, REASON i
Said Saints. DOLPHINS i don't know IF i was drunk
when we, recorded but that did not. Happen if points
Of polouza meant returning a two point conversion for a,
score that would have been. Great and in, fact it's
too bad my league didn't give any points for the
interception on the. Pat i'm not sure how many leagues

(38:36):
actually have, that but for a DEFENSE i at least
should have. GOTTEN i felt a point for. THAT i
KNEW i wasn't going, to but maybe now for leagues
when they look into stuff and look into settings so
that that could be an. Opportunity And i'll tell you,
what it made a difference On sunday because even if
he bats it down or knocks it, Down saints recover

(38:57):
that outside. Kicked they were in field goal, range being
down two in that, scenario that could have kicked a
field goal instead of trying to go for it on
fourth and. Short but the two points end up making
the difference and making The, saints you, know.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
Have to score a touchdown at the. End but that was.

Speaker 5 (39:11):
Crazy, yeah that's one of those where we would have
had to back in My yahoo, days, right a big,
explanation and you would have gotten the astisk points depending
on how the league was set.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
UP i don't think it should count as an.

Speaker 4 (39:24):
INTERCEPTION i think that there's a way like where you
could make it for the point or the two points
get you. Convision, yeah, yeah, YEAH i think that you,
know something like that would be fair in. That BUT
i didn't feel like that was robbed by any, means
but it just would have Made Ian's dolphins pick a
little bit. Better survivor wise told you to take The

(39:44):
chargers if you still had, them as they were able
to get past The raiders even With Justin herbert's broken.
HAND i did Recommend dolphins And falcons as possibilities in
the coin. Flip falcons lost To Ian's, jets so that
was a tough, one and we just mentioned that The
dolphins survived again it's The. Saints dolphins were the second
most popular in the survivor pool That i'm in this,

(40:04):
week behind The, chargers so there were some late late
worries on that.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
One no one took The.

Speaker 4 (40:09):
Falcons in the pools That i'm, in only losses with
The rams And eagles this, week so that was interesting
to see but, yeah two out of three on The,
survivor but, hey we'll take it after the points Of
paluza was so. Bad all, right let's look ahead To
week Fourteen Mike waiver wire pickups as it's winning.

Speaker 3 (40:28):
Time, yeah we have those four teams on.

Speaker 5 (40:30):
By remember that we Got New, England New York, Giants San,
francisco And, carolina so we missed some heavyweights for this,
Week so let's go find a little bit of love
on the. Wire Jacoby. Brissette people still running away from.
Him he's got an. Opportunity it's a tough game against The,
rams but we've watched This arizona. Squad he's consistently been

(40:52):
a top ten, guy but for whatever, reason folks still shying.
Away fantasy, wise still available in about forty percent of.
Leagues you're looking At manungai against The, packers like The
bears number two rushing offense in the game Behind buffalo right,
now and you have the fact that we could run
On Walter payton And Matt sue graphic really brought tears

(41:13):
to my eyes this week as they as we had
the two guys over one hundred.

Speaker 3 (41:17):
Yards he In swift just absolutely. Insane there Adn. Mitchell let's.

Speaker 5 (41:21):
Go we're talking about target counts over the last two.
Weeks you're lucky ten catches over nineteen, targets had six
his first, week so you've got opportunity. There rodriguez of
The commanders three double digit touch games in his last.
Four he's got three touchdowns sov a little about seventy

(41:43):
five percent of, League so an opportunity for you. There
you Got Jayden higgins four plus catches five of his last.
Six now you're not getting the, yardage so this is
where you've got to just recognize your ceiling. There he's
only got one game with more than sixty, yards but
he's also scored three. Touchdown but again we're talking. Opportunities
targets five, six seven per game gives you at least

(42:08):
a little bit of a base play. Defense go pick
Up blake korm because you're gonna see a bunch of
him down the. Stretch vyle there for The, saints we
talked about him a little. Bit he's got fifteen targets
the last two. Weeks so For Tyler, shuck you, know
we always try to figure out who that second team
guy that's going to get elevated when a new quarterback

(42:29):
comes in because of some, chemistry and we've got a
little bit of an opportunity there that certainly rises.

Speaker 3 (42:36):
Up we've talked about The packers a.

Speaker 5 (42:38):
Bunch i'm reticent to just, say, hey you, know go
outside of the defensive side of, it, right and this
becomes the you don't want it to be the week
That watson Or reid is in a lineup against. You
so if you have a deep enough bench that you're
doing a little bit of a, churn maybe you play
a little bit of defense. Here because Against, chicago they'll

(42:58):
move the, ball they may give it away.

Speaker 3 (43:01):
Or have it stripped or all sorts of.

Speaker 5 (43:03):
CHAOS i mean that that tush push thing might have.
BEEN i want to get a snapshot of that and
hang it on the. Loover But Al harris's defense getting
after it on the back end there in the. Secondary
so you'll move the, ball but you, know finishing it.
Off opportunity there Chewba. Hubbard we talked about taking some
of that. Workload are you reticent to go full? In,

(43:26):
no but he should be rostered and right now he's
available in quite a chunk of. Leagues Darren, waller he's
back and as much as you're, like all, right is
he is he gonna finish against The jets don't play.

Speaker 3 (43:40):
Defense against tight?

Speaker 1 (43:41):
Ends sure The.

Speaker 5 (43:42):
Dolphins don't, either so that'll be an interesting game to
watch in that. Respect and then you Got Breton strange
of Your jaguars against The, colts and that secondary should
have some opportunity as, well trying to find some value
at the tight end.

Speaker 1 (43:56):
Position, yeah that tight End. Wasteland, well that's it, Right,
YEAH i.

Speaker 3 (44:01):
Got a guess work week to.

Speaker 5 (44:02):
WEEK i, mean because you look at this week for
yardage of, receivers overall of the top, twenty you had
eight tight, ends including such luminaries As Kyle.

Speaker 3 (44:14):
Pitts, yeah how about.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
That good to see You Kyle pitts.

Speaker 3 (44:19):
In week thirteen when nobody's Trusting.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
You're, right that's to your.

Speaker 6 (44:22):
Point The jets don't guard tight, ends and that's who
he was. Playing that's.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
It, oh, well that's gonna do it for.

Speaker 4 (44:28):
Us in Our week thirteen, recap we'll be back with
our midwek episode And week.

Speaker 1 (44:32):
Fourteen with some dandy matchups on the.

Speaker 4 (44:35):
Card should be exciting to see the lineups that we,
have especially as you're about to edge the playoffs and
wrapping up your regular, season and so much more so
For Ian roddy And Mike. Carmen I'm Dan. Bayer we
can't wait to talk to you next. Time It's, december
it's winning.

Speaker 1 (44:50):
Time right. HERE i want your flex

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
