Jonahs Knocked. You knew you didn't know anything about me.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
He's crazier than else.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Wracked that guy, Jonas Knocks.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
You heard me the friends, some darkness is lighting up
your speakers to establish an alibi for the day. From
the Tracks dot Com Fox Sports Radio Studios, here's Jonas Knocks.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
Sorry, Okay, So we're gonna do something that you know,

(00:56):
maybe a lot of people in the world of sports
don't feel like doing.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
There's these labels that are handed out. We are going
to defend one of those great labels given to athletes
in the world of sports, and we're going to do
it coming up here in just a couple of moments
from now, Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio. You can listen
to this show as always on the iHeartRadio app. You
can find us on hundreds of affiliates all across the country.
No matter where you are making us a part of

(01:20):
your Saturday morning into the afternoon. We appreciate you doing so.
We will be taking you all the way up until
four pm Eastern time one o'clock Pacific, and we do
it all live from the tire rack dot Com Studios.

Speaker 1 (01:32):

So the big story in the NFL, the kind of
wait and see story that's out there, is what's gonna
happen with Davante Adams Right now? DeVante Adams will never

(01:55):
play for the Raiders again. It's over not happening. He's
already been on Sunday. He's got this quote unquote hamstring
issue that all of a sudden popped up last week.
It's like, okay, listen, why don't we just call it
what it is? You know, what happened to his hamstring,
the same thing that happened to everybody else's hamstring. A
couple of weeks ago. Andy Dalton went into Vegas and

(02:17):
lit that place on fire.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
That's basically what happened.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
He torched him, and you know, Antonio Pierce called some
players out, business decisions whatever. And since then, Devonte Adams
hasn't played, and now he wants out and they want
to move on from him.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
It's over done deal. That's a wrap.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
So now the conversation becomes, all right, where to and when.
So the latest reporting on this is Jonathan Jones of CBS,
who says, not only will he be traded, he's going
to be traded before the November fifth deadline, and it
could happen as soon as next week. And they're right

(02:58):
now discussing how much of this salary they want to
pay in Vegas. They're discussing what compensation could look like.
They're talking about, well, you know, we'd like it number
two and some change, but there's people around the NFL
that think it's probably going to be a third round
pick and other compensation whatever. And you know, there's the

(03:18):
teams that are interested and the teams that he would prefer.
One of those would be the Jets. Obviously wouldn't mind
the Saints. But it's not a foregone conclusion that he
goes to the Jets or the Saints. The Steelers are
lurking like all of this stuff is happening. So moral
of the story is he's gone. He's going to go elsewhere,

(03:39):
and he might even get to pick and choose where
he gets to go, Like if the Jets are his preference,
he might actually get to go to where he wants.
And you know, there's a couple of ways you could
look at it. You could look at it like this
typical DIVA wide receiver throws a tantrum, doesn't honor his
end of the deal, is on a bad football team,

(04:01):
and so now he wants to be out typical Diva
wide receiver behavior. So you know what we're going to do.
We're going to defend the Diva. And here's why. This
Raiders team whatever the hell they are, which, by the way,
they're five hundred who knew this Raiders team not exactly

(04:27):
what he thought. He had booked online when he was
planning to stay there. No, what I mean, like, we've
all run into this before you go. You book a
hotel online and airbnb whatever it is. You show up
there and you realize pretty quickly, uh oh, not exactly
the same as what the pictures were, honey. This place

(04:50):
looks great, great view, perfect location. What do you think
book it? I mean, do we want to do the
non guaranteed right now?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
No?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
No, no, no, let's get let's get the better rate.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
Let's let's try and you know, let whatever we can
do to make this the cheapest thing possible.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
No cancelation, got it?

Speaker 5 (05:09):
You show up there, you use the keyfab You open
the door, you turn on the lights, and there's a
sewer rat the size of a trash can underneath the bed.
Not exactly what you paid for. Listen, it' to one off,
get the exterminator, Get them the hell out of here,
no problem. Whew, that was a lot. I need to

(05:32):
go wash my face. You go to rinse off. You
turn on the faucet and it looks like you who
draining out of the sink. Not exactly what you paid for. Hey,
but at least they got fresh towels. You go, you
get a towel, You unfold it and it looks like
somebody just wiped off their car after they went mud

(05:55):
sliding two weeks earlier. Like we've all been there, So
what do you do? Are you just supposed to sit
there and go listen? Forget about the rat, forget about
the towel, forget about the you who sink. Don't worry
about the fact that the fridge doesn't work, forget about
all that stuff. This is what we booked, this is
what we bought. We just got to suck it up

(06:16):
and deal with it. No, you're getting your ass the
hell out of there. Devonte Adams did not sign up
for this. When he got to Vegas, the thought was, okay,
I mean this team was just in the playoffs, Mike.

(06:37):
They I mean Rich Pasaccia, who probably should have been retained,
which is probably why Antonio Pierces retained, because they realized, oh,
we made a mistake. The team loved that guy. They responded.
They went seven and five with him down the stretch,
went to the playoffs, nearly beat Cincinnati in the same
year Cincinnati went to the super Bowl. Well you know that,

(07:00):
that's why they kept Antonio Pierce.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
We couldn't.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
We don't want to make that mistake again. But DeVante
Adams gets there. The team was a playoff team. He
shows up thinking he's gonna play with his quarterback. Is good, buddy,
This and that they restructure the deal, all this stuff,
and what like thirteen games into the season, after a
Saturday night game or whatever it was against Pittsburgh, next

(07:23):
thing you know, Derek Carr gets benched and now DeVante
Adams is looking around going what the hell is this? Oh,
and we're gonna go ahead and like just like move
on from a coach the next year. Yeah, I wasn't
a fan of his and like like, okay, so what's
the plan of the organization? So wait, what are we like,
what are we doing at quarterback? Like, so this is

(07:44):
what we're doing at court? Oh yeah, at least you're
gonna draft a guy.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Oops.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
The Atlanta Falcons stepped up to Michael Pennix Junior, and
now the Raiders are scrambling.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Uh tight end. He didn't sign up for any of this,
so I know the the easy thing to do.

Speaker 5 (08:02):
Is to say, well, you booked the place, deal with it, dude.
Just because you booked it doesn't mean you just have
to accept it. DeVante Adams walked into that room thinking
it was everything that he thought it was when he
booked it online, and all he found was a sewer
rat under the bed, dirty towels, and a chocolate sink.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
So what the hell is he supposed to do? Just
wear it.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
He's getting his ass out of town, and we're going
to be the one people here that are going to
defend the Diva since nobody else wants to do it
when it comes to wide receivers. Jonas Knox here Fox
Sports Radio at the Jonas Knox on X at the
Jonas Knox on X speaking of Las Vegas. Las Vegas
has figured it out, and they figured it out years ago.

(08:55):
You know what they did. They decided, you know what,
there's a lot of scumbags. There's a lot of scam artists.
There's a lot of cheaters who walk through these doors
in our casinos every day, and we're tired of them
getting one up on us. Fed up with it, tired
of it. So how do you solve the problem. Do

(09:17):
you go and hire a bunch of security. Do you
hire some specialists who can identify who may or may
not be counting cards, who may or may not have
like a buzzer on their leg like the movie casino,
like who may or may not be rigging slot machines,
or you know, going to you know, Texas hold'em tournaments

(09:38):
and like you know, sliding stuff under.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
The like no, no, no, no, no, you know what Vegas did.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
Yeah, we're just gonna hire the guys a cheat. Oh
are you a scumbag? Come work cross, help us find
the other scumbags, Help us find the other cheaters. Well,
according to Jimbo Fisher, former Texas A and M coach,
he was on Serious XM recently and he says this

(10:05):
whole edil thing. Man, it's made those cheaters that much worse.

Speaker 6 (10:09):
I thought, really when Nio came in, we thought it
would be good because some decisions. There were teams who
were Inio and before Nio was popular, Okay, right, I
mean I can tell you I know of a story
one time and like around twenty twelve thirteen for them
like that, one of those teams, the players are going
to walk out. It's like, you know, we had the
kid the other day walk out, Sam Richard. Yeah, they
were not practicing because we didn't get on money. They

(10:30):
were at a major university and they got it worked out.
And what I was at, I was at another school
and I had heard the room because the coaches on
my staff had coach there before new people there. You know,
they were going through that and so those things. That's
what I thought Nio would at least make it fair
and take the cheating out of ball.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
It's make it worse, first and foremost. Jimbo Fisher really.

Speaker 5 (10:50):
Should pursue being an auctioneer. Like that guy sounds like
he should be running an auction I swear to God, Like,
couldn't you just like if you just played Jimbo Fisher
sound again, like you could just hear him like, can
I get twenty five? Can I get thirty thirty?

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Thirty thirty?

Speaker 5 (11:04):
By I mean forty forty forty five point is he's
sitting here talking about how cheating has gotten way worse.
I just like the acknowledgment of the fact that, like, yeah, listen,
everybody was doing it, you know, like it was just
so much more fun back in the day. We all
just had an understanding, you know, like when we had

(11:25):
just a simple understanding that.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
We've got, you know, cheating in the world of sports.

Speaker 5 (11:29):
So for Jimbo Fisher to come out after the fact,
after he had everything that went on at Texas A
and M and to talk about all the cheating and
all the accusations and just to say, listen, we were
all cheating, but Nils made it worse. That's rich, especially
coming from Jimbo Fisher. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio.
Right now, we do have some breaking news out of
the world of sports, and for that we turn it

(11:50):
over to Isaac Longros.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Breaking news from Fox Sports.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
The Green Bay Packers have just suspended reiver Romeo Dobbs
for tomorrow's game against the Los Angeles Rams for conduct
detrimental to the team. Packers general manager Brian Gudakun said, quote, Unfortunately,
we had to make the difficult decision to suspend Romeo
for this week's game. His decisions and actions during the

(12:18):
week negatively impacted the team and required us to take
this action. While we are certainly disappointed, we are confident
that we will be able to move forward in a
positive manner. Romeo is a valuable member of our team
and we look forward to welcoming him back next week.
Quote Jonas, I mean, see listen, you want deeb a

(12:40):
wide receiver behavior. DeVante Adams would never pull that crap ever.
I mean, this is a legitimate hamstring injury. Okay, he's
got this hamstring injury.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
But Romeo Dobbs doesn't want to be a part of
this team unless he's going to be worked into the offense.
And for you fantasy owners out there, and that's what's
really important here, for people that have Romeo Dobbs and
their fantasy team, you're probably thinking, you're yourself, damn it,
this is really going to impact my progress moving forward.
I got news for you. If he was on your
fantasy team to begin with you probably weren't contending for
a title, okay, so let's not lose sight of that.

(13:12):
But thank you, Isaac. Some breaking news here out of
the NFL. Apparently Romeo Dobbs can throw himself a tantrum
and then they're gonna go ahead and suspend him. So
that's how it gets done. Here Jonas Knox on Fox
Sports Radio at the Jonas Knocks On X at the
Jonas Knocks On X. All right, so we are gonna
have the usuals coming up later on. We are going
to have another edition of Do You Care later on

(13:35):
this hour. We're also going to have Knox Locks to
close up shop an hour two.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Of the program. And oh man, oh man.

Speaker 5 (13:41):
Did I shut your asses up last week with Knox Locks. Boy,
it was glorious, and we are back for more. To
close up the show. We're also going to have the
return We've been waiting long enough. We've given teams an
opportunity to show themselves the first month of the season.
Now it's time. It is the return for our TGFG
Game of the Week, Thank god for Gambling Game of

(14:03):
the Week. That'll be later on this hour as well too.
It's all yours here on this two hour extravaganza from
the tire Raq dot com studios. But if you wanted
more proof that somebody in the NFL is missing their X,
I've got it for you.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Next here on FSR.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Okay, I get it.

Speaker 5 (14:38):
I get it, Lorena, I get it because I'm WHITEI
you got it. I mean, I get it. Okay, But
way to ruin the surprise. By the way, it's radio.
I could be Jamaican. Nobody knows, all right, Jonas Knox,
Fox Sports Radio, by the way, coming up a little
over ten minutes from now here from the tire Rack

(14:58):
dot Com studios, It's the return of the TGFG Game
of the Week.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
People have been waiting for weeks an entire.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
Month of the NFL season for this and it is
finally back for its twenty twenty four debut.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
That'll be yours here a little over ten minutes from.

Speaker 5 (15:19):
Now By the way, Quick Cupday from State College, where
no doubt lebar Arrington is thirty eight drinks in Penn
State is currently up on UCLA twenty four to three.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Man UCLA stinks.

Speaker 5 (15:38):
Whoa. I mean, I'm surprised they're within twenty one, to
be honest with you. But we'll keep you posting on
that and other games throughout the course of the show
with the great Isaac Lohencron, who's going to demand a
standing ovation, no doubt when we throw it to him
coming up here shortly. All right, So if you wanted
further proof that things have changed for one of the

(16:01):
great franchises in NFL history, we've got it for you. Boy,
oh boy, do we got it for you. So the
New England Patriots are a bad football team, all right,
let's just call what it is now. I don't feel
the least bit bad for New England Patriots fans because,

(16:21):
first and foremost, I mean, you guys have been spoiled
the past twenty plus years. I mean, the Celtics just
won an NBA championship, you know, I mean the Red
Sox whatever, you know, like the Bruins, Hey, you know, good,
good team, been in contention. I mean they did have
the best record, they were like historic, and then they
got beaten in the first round. But what like the

(16:41):
point is like you've gotten enough, Like there's enough, Like
there are Patriots fans who were celebrating their twenty first
birthday and getting ripped in half at a bar near
Fenway recently that are like man like who cares if
they're bad? Like all those Super Bowls I got to
watch growing up, Like you don't feel bad for him,
but it is obvious that there's something missing in New England.

(17:06):
And it's not Tom Brady, it's Bill Belichick. So apparently
there's been this issue with the Patriots, you know, like
with their offense, it's not any good. You've got Jacoby Brissett,
who's the veteran quarterback there, You've got Drake May who
was drafted number three overall, and things have kind of

(17:29):
taken a little bit of a turn. So Evan Laser,
who covers the Patriots. He is a reporter and he's
also the host of the Catch twenty two podcast on
the Patriots website. He had some comments about the Patriots
locker room.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Let's take a listen. I said this before and I'll
say it again.

Speaker 7 (17:50):
You're at the point now with fifty two other guys
in that locker room that I'll watch these two quarterbacks
practice every single day that all know that they drafted
Drake may third over And at what point in time
does some of these guys say to themselves, why am
I going out there and getting my butt kicked every
single Sunday? And Drake can like, why am I going
out there with the quarterback who can't get me the

(18:13):
football when we have the Ferrari back in the garage
that can get me the football. But I'm supposed to
I'm Jalen Polk. I'm supposed to go run every single
route as hard as I can, and I'm supposed to
go put lay it all out on there now.

Speaker 5 (18:26):
He went on later and spoke elsewhere during an interview
on Boston Radio I believe on the Sports Hub in
Boston and said, wow, I listen, you know look, I mean.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
I got a little carried away.

Speaker 5 (18:38):
There's no mutiny, there's no this and that, there's no
like listen to you know, just got a little carried
away and it's like okay, Then how come the team
had like the re airing of that episode deleted from everywhere.
I mean, if it was just like you got carried
away and it's no big deal, it's not true.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Like none of that's true. Why they haven't deleted? Why?
Why did it mean? If it's not true? Like, why
would you delete it?

Speaker 5 (19:05):
Like if if you had something on your phone that
was a little bit suspect and all of a sudden
your better half asked to borrow your phone because theirs
isn't working or they're charging it, uh, and you start
sweating profusely and start like, you know, like wiping things.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Why would you do that.

Speaker 5 (19:20):
If there's nothing on there to like, what's there's something
to worry about? Like who cares? What's what's what's the
big deal? But I mean, okay, now, Drawt Mayo was
asked about it and said, oh, I don't know anything
about it, like a mutiny. Haven't heard anything, okay, But
like drot Mayo also did say before the season that

(19:41):
Drake may was out playing Jacoby Brissett. Like he said that,
he said, you might have said it like a couple
of times that he was out playing Jacoby Brissett. Yet
Drake may is still not playing. And all this looks
like to me is further that, yeah, Bill Belichick's not there,

(20:04):
because if Belichick was there.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
Drake may would be playing. There would be no quote
unquote mutiny. You want to know how I know that
because he did it. Remember when he started? Guy, what
was that guy's name?

Speaker 5 (20:19):
Guy was a quarterback? Dall's that guy's name? Like, I
think he played in the Big Ten. They draft him
like in the sixth Oh yeah, Tom Brady. Remember when
he played Tom Brady? Remember that, Like.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
There was a you know, there was an injury to
like the other.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
Quarterback, and Belichick decided, no, We're just gonna go with
Tom Brady, and the rest is history, like kind of
forgotten through a lot of that that you know Drew Bledsoe,
the quarterback that he supplanted as the starter there they
had just given a one hundred million dollar contract to.
Belichick said, I don't care about what the business side

(20:57):
of this is. I care about who's the best player
for our team, and the best player for our team
should be on the field. So we have a quote
unquote mutiny in the locker room where guys are looking
around going, we see this every day in practice. Why
isn't that guy playing but the other guy is. And
we've got your own coach who said weeks and weeks

(21:23):
ago that Drake May was out playing Jacoby Brissett. Yet
he's still not playing, and we all acknowledge it, like, well,
you know, because they're probably they don't want to just
throw Drake May out there to the Wolves because they're
not a very good football team. But this is evidence that, yeah,
Belichick's not there because if he was, the best guy
would be playing period. Like you couldn't wait to get

(21:47):
rid of Belichick, they couldn't wait to run him out
of town. His time has passed all like everything that's
come along with yet, like all of this stuff that's
happened in New England since kind of an organized a
little bit of a disaster. Like now you've got like
you know, your own reporters on your own website that
are coming out saying, yeah, like the locker rooms and

(22:09):
it is not a good place, like they are not
in a good spot. You got Robert Kraft like producing
documentaries that are like throwing Belichick under the bus, and
he's got to have to come back afterwards and like say, oh, well, listen,
you know we had nothing to do with any of that.
Yet it was his production company that was like behind it,
and he's got to go ahead, Like all of this
stuff that's happened.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
That's not because of Belichick.

Speaker 5 (22:32):
So like at some point you can sit there and
try and talk about, well it's a new era and
we're just no, but like the previous era had a
ton of success because stuff like this wouldn't have flown,
Like if Drake may was better than Jacoby Brissett. He's
playing under Belichick like flat out like there was no

(22:56):
like listen to me, you know, well, Jacoby, we sets
a veteran and we've got to wait till no no, no, no, no,
we're playing the best guy.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Enough's enough.

Speaker 5 (23:05):
And so if you're a Patriots fan and you were
one of those people who couldn't wait to get Belichick
out of town because his time has passed and we've
got to move on and it's a new era of
Patriots football, welcome in. It's a new air of Patriots
football where this stuff wouldn't happen if the old guy
was there. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio at d
Jonas Knox on X at the Jonas Knox on X

(23:26):
by the way, countdown to kickoff here on FSR is back,

Speaker 5 (23:58):
So coming up next here, we're going to hand out
the first TGFG Game of the Week award here on
the show of the season. That'll be yours here from
the tiraq dot com studios. But for all the latest
from around the world of sports, ladies and gentlemen, why
don't you just go ahead and tell everybody around you

(24:19):
to shut their mouths, to open their ears, and to
put their hands together for the magnificent Sir Isaac Lohenkron, Isaac,
how we feeling?

Speaker 2 (24:40):
To be honest, your clapping was a little tepid and
out of rhythm.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
Are you trying to accuse me of that being a
sound drop and not actually clapping here in the air.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
No, it's me. I'm not trying to accuse you.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
I am accusing you.

Speaker 5 (24:53):
Wow, I can't believe you would do that here, like
I would ever embellish something or like you know, finagle
a story here on the air.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
You know, a guy gets a contract extension, he gets
a big press release, and he just forgets about the
little people.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
I assume it is. I listened. By the way, the
best part of that press release was, you.

Speaker 5 (25:10):
Know, notre name quarterback first round Trapp Big Brady Quinn,
college football Hall of famer LeVar Arrington.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
That's how it is good. That's how it is for
us civilians. Well, Jonas, we start with news about a
non sports civilian. Our top story, Romeo Romeo. Wherefore art
thou Romeo? Denounce thy receiver and suspend him for thy game? Translation?
The Green Bay Packers a short time ago suspended receiver

(25:41):
Romeo Dobbs for Sunday's game against the Rams four conduct
detrimental to the team. Packers general manager Brian Guda Kunst
said in a statement and I quote, Unfortunately, we had
to make the difficult decision to suspend Romeo for this
week's game. His decisions and actions during the week negatively
impacted the team and required us to take this action.

(26:04):
While we are certainly disappointed, we are confident that we
will be able to we will be able to move
forward in a positive manner. Romeo is a valuable member
of our team, and we look forward to welcoming him
back next week. Unquote ironically, I use similar language when
I send my children to time out.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Anyway.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
In college football, seventh ranked Penn State has a twenty
four to three lead over UCLA. They are one minute
in the fourth quarter. Here's Fox Sports Radio's LeVar Arrington's
live sophisticated analysis of this game.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
It loose, Yeah, loose the fault.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
Come on, LeVar having fun apparently in state college.

Speaker 5 (26:50):
Let me you were not tell lies, I was at
Levar's Stick City tailgate last week.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Yes, they have a good time.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Yes, put it that way. Hmm. Yes, We'll leave the
rest to everyone's imagination.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Also having a good time.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
Number twenty five Texas A and M because after three
quarters they've got a thirty four to seven lead over
ninth rank to Missouri. Number twenty two Louisville and SMU
tied to twenty seven with two point fifty left to
play in the third quarter. Finally, in Major League Baseball,
in Game one of the American League Division Series, the
Cleveland Guardians have a five to nothing lead over the
Detroit Tigers in the bottom of the fourth inning. They

(27:27):
scored all five runs in the bottom of the first inning,
including on a three run home run by Lane Thomas.
Contract extent. Excuse me, Jonas back to you.

Speaker 5 (27:37):
Oh, thank you, Isaac, I appreciate it. By when's the
last time we worked together? Has It's been a long
ass time?

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Correct? Lase you You don't slum it with us on Saturdays.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Anymore, pretty much, it has been a long long time.
Perhaps that's why the timing of the extension worked out,
because the stink of being associated with me wore off
just in time.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
Come on, don't be so hard on yourself. At least
you show up.

Speaker 5 (27:59):
You're not like fan lose calling some tennis tournament at
like you know, like South Korea or something like that.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
It's a it's a back and forth affair. And I
hear soul is lovely this time of year.

Speaker 5 (28:10):
I mean, I'm just you know, it's like every week, Oh,
I'm calling this saw the ATP tour Like no, you're not, dude,
You're calling it from some broom closet in burbank.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
Like you're not even on location. What are we talking
about here?

Speaker 2 (28:20):
And the bubble has been burst all right?

Speaker 5 (28:25):
Coming up in about twelve minutes from now if you
want some upbeat, positive sportstock Radio. Because Isaac has like
steered us into the ditch, don't worry about it. It's
another edition of Do You Care Well. We will be
brutally honest about several stories that have been force fed
to you throughout the course of the week.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
So that'll be yours here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (28:42):
But people have been asking and by people, I mean
nobody's been asking about like, hey man, like when are
you going to bring back the TGFG Game of the Week.
And for those of you that are new to the show,
and if you are new, where the hell you've been,
but we appreciate you showing up. The TGFG Game of
the Week was created to honor, you know, the game

(29:05):
that maybe wouldn't get the love.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
From a lot of places.

Speaker 5 (29:07):
If you're looking at the NFL schedule, Like back in
the day when HD first came out for some reason
during the NFL games and they'd be aired on Sunday
during Sunday ticket there was always one game that never
showed up in HD, Like you longtime football fans, not
you newbies that showed up just because you got in

(29:29):
a fantasy team and you just learned what play action
was two weeks ago. Like back in the day, there
used to be this thing to where all the games
would be in HD every Sunday except for one, and
it was usually like the game that nobody cared about.
So I thought, well, since everything's in HD now when
he got streaming, and there's been so many advancements, there
are certain games that like really don't matter unless it

(29:52):
was for gambling, Fantasy live, gambling over unders, spreads, et cetera.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
And so we decided we're gonna honor those each week.

Speaker 5 (30:04):
And so what I did this year is I said,
I don't want to just judge anybody going into the season.
We're gonna give everybody a month, all right, We're gonna
give everybody a Month's like the Warden off Shawshank, Let's
give them another month to think about it. So we
give ourselves another month to think about it. And we
said we were gonna wait to see who's good and
who's not, and then we'll know it about week five

(30:24):
whether or not we can hand out this award. So
without further ado. For the first time in twenty twenty four,
it is time for our TGFG Game of the Week,
and the game of the week.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
Goes too Dolphins at Patriots. AH.

Speaker 5 (30:45):
Congratulations for the first ever of twenty twenty four.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
That is right now.

Speaker 5 (30:51):
If you're wondering why the Miami Dolphins and the New
England Patriots are the first recipients of the TGFG.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
Game of the Way, well it's real simple. They're both
not very good.

Speaker 5 (31:03):
And in fact, if you want to do a deeper
dive into the Miami Dolphins, and you can keep the
game show music going if you will, if you want
to do a deeper dive into the Miami Dolphins, if
not for that first game against Jacksonville, this is a
winless football team and they're not close in these games.
Whether it's to a Tugaby looa Skyler Thompson, Kleo Lemon,

(31:26):
j Fiedler Dan, it doesn't matter who's playing quarterback for
this team, Tyler Huntley, none of it matters.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
They're not good. They're just not. You need to a
back desperately.

Speaker 5 (31:40):
You've got Tyreek Hill having to talk about how much
he loves the weather in Miami, not necessarily the football team.
You've got injuries left and right. They're getting healthier, yet
you're still missing your quarterback. And when it comes to
the Patriots, you might have a mutiny at the quarterback position.
In the locker room. You've got a running backing. It

(32:02):
is brutal and it makes you wonder how the hell
did they get a win?

Speaker 1 (32:06):
So the first recipient.

Speaker 5 (32:08):
Of the TGFG Game of the Week goes to the
AFC East clash the Dolphins and the Patriots at one
pm Eastern time, coming up tomorrow. TGFG, thank God for gambling.
Because of not for gambling, nobody gives a rip about
this game. Congratulations plaques are in the mail, all right,

(32:34):
Jonas Knox here on Fox Sports Radio at the Jonas

Speaker 5 (33:00):
Can I tell you a story that I don't know
if it'll piss you off? Because I think it pissed
my wife off.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
Tell me, I want to know.

Speaker 5 (33:07):
So she was she was wearing these jeans that they
look like bell bottoms, like the ones I wear. Yeah,
And so I started singing this song to her and
she didn't get it. And then once I explained it
to her, I think she was slightly offended.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
So not I ind insane. I didn't like them. It just,
you know, reminds me of this song. What is it?
What's the what's the name of the song? For people
listening on the podcast, the kid is in the Heart
Yeah by Dight Yep. Good song.

Speaker 5 (33:35):
Jonas Knoxy or Fox Sports are actually you know what?
Not really, it really isn't if I'm being honest. Coming
up top of next hour, though, we do have ourselves
the latest speculation, right, the latest speculation that is out
there in the NFL when it comes to certain things
that are happening, and speaking of certain things that are happening,

(33:56):
one fan base needs to slow down. They need to
slow down down if they're expecting this to happen.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
We will explain who.

Speaker 5 (34:02):
That is coming up here a little over ten minutes
from now. A reminder, though, shortly after the show, the
podcast will be going up, so if you've missed any
of it, be sure to check out the pod. Search
Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcast. Be sure
to also follow, rate and review the pod. Again, just
search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts. You'll
see this show posted right after we get off the air.
I'll also tweet out a link to this as well

(34:24):
too at the Jonas Knocks on X.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
But right now, it's time for this.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
There are so many stories in the world of sports,
and most of them are a complete waste of time
DMS reports. Let's get kinky. Here's some of the big
stories from the last week. But Jonas, the real question
is do you care?

Speaker 5 (34:44):
And for that we turn it over to our executive
producer Patrick sweek and to find out what the hell
people have been talking about all week.

Speaker 8 (34:49):
Pat Well, Jonas, we had a wild week in baseball.
So do you care that eat Alonzo after hitting the
game winning home run in the ninth lou a kiss
to the Brewer fans and that laughed in his face
earlier after he whiffed a botched catch.

Speaker 5 (35:06):
Yes, I absolutely do. I think it's tremendous. I think
this is so wonderful. And here's why Brewers fans have
no business laughing at anybody when you consider their history
in the postseason, Like there's no point for the Brewers
to win the Central every year. There's no point, there's
no point in them going to the postseason. They don't

(35:26):
do anything. It's like the Orioles. There's like there's no
like nothing, like it doesn't matter. Like just you know,
worry about wide receivers that are getting suspended because they
don't want to participate because they're not involved in the offense,
and then worry about all that stuff. I wouldn't even
worry about postseason baseball anymore because you basically don't exist

(35:48):
when that comes around.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Next.

Speaker 8 (35:50):
All right, Jonas, do you care that Kirk Cousins recently
learned how to swagsurf from Amazon Brime's tailor Rooks and
he was actually seen utilizing it after the overtime win
on Thursday.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Yes, litt you know what I love about this.

Speaker 5 (36:07):
Kirk Cousins has made like his turn from the guy
who was a little bit goofy and maybe a little
bit nerdy that everybody laughed at has completely changed, like
completely like whatever that quarterback that QB one series was
on Netflix or Amazon or whatever side it was that
they came, whatever that was, Kirk Cousins was the star

(36:30):
because everyone said, you know, that's like actually a really
likable guy. And so now he's got chains like I
didn't even know he had a nickname, Kirko chains like
that's one of his nicknames. Now he's doing the swag surf,
which I don't know that anybody knew was a thing
until they saw it on Thursday Night. Good for Kirk
Cousins and throwing that many touchdowns and for that many
yards in primetime where everybody made fun of him for

(36:52):
struggling in the past.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
I'm happy for the guy next.

Speaker 8 (36:55):
All right, Jonas, The NFLPA has recently called to potentially
move meat you interviews out of locker rooms going forward.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Do you care?

Speaker 5 (37:03):
Oh No, I don't care. As I mean, I don't.
I mean, like, why do I need to be standing
at some guy's locker with a mic in his face
while the dude behind him is toweling off naked Like
I don't. I just like this does nothing for me.
It's the whole thing's awkward, It's uncomfortable if you want
to do it in the locker room.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Go ahead. If you want to do it outside the
locker room.

Speaker 5 (37:28):
Neat. If you want to do it at a during
a podcast, in the side of a trash can outside
in the parking lot, that's cool too.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
Whatever it is doesn't affect me one way or the other.

Speaker 8 (37:38):
Next, All right, do you care that the NFL has
recently denied the forty nine ers request to where they're
all white uniforms as they're in the middle of a
heat wave up north right now? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (37:50):
I do. Uh, And here's why I love it.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (37:53):
I love the rationale behind it. So they're going to
play in like ninety nine degree weather coming up on Sunday.
And you know, if anybody knows me a bit of
a weather nerd, why, I don't know. But it's even like, yeah,
can you believe it? Loraine? Like even my son, Like
last night, we were trying to figure out something to
watch and my wife's like, she's.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
Like, oh, let's watch a let's watch a movie. Let's
watch a movie.

Speaker 5 (38:15):
Like no, no, no, My son and I wanted to
watch the Weather Channel, so we literally sat there and
watched disasters on the Weather Channel. He already wants to
chase storms of me, it's really wonderful. Like it's really
like a great father son moment. We're gonna get swept
up by an F four somewhere in Oklahoma when we're like,
you know, twenty years from now. But the point is, like,
it's ninety nine degree weather. It's hot as balls. Like

(38:39):
it's concerning, and the NFL is like, no, if you
want to wear a certain uniform color, you have to
put the request in before the season, and it's got
to be five weeks out every It seemed to be
some consistency. Dude, just let him wear white unis like,
who get well, the Cardinals are wearing white uniforms. Okay,
well they don't have the same helmets. What are we

(39:00):
worried about here? Like you've got all these uniform combinations.
It's a concerning issue. They'd like to wear white. Nah,
can't do it. It's got to be red because you
didn't schedule it in advance. The NFL's got OCD and
I'm sick of it.

Speaker 8 (39:13):
Next, all right, jonas Well, do you care that a
surgeon recently, and might I add, successfully used a PlayStation
five controller to perform surgery?

Speaker 1 (39:27):
Yeah, I do. As a matter of fact, I'm fascinated
to know how this gets done.

Speaker 5 (39:31):
I have not played PlayStation in probably twenty years, so
all I know is it's got toggles, it's got two
buttons in the front, and you're like holding onto it
almost like it's a makeshift steering wheel. How the hell
is that performing a surgery? Now, Patty? What surgery were
we talking about here?

Speaker 8 (39:50):
I believe it was like some muscle surgery in someone's shoulder.

Speaker 5 (39:55):
Okay, all right, it's probably the you know, the most
noteworthy thing of video game console has done for anybody,
if we're being honest, like, there's a lot of time wasted,
not trying to throw shade.

Speaker 6 (40:05):
All right.

Speaker 5 (40:06):
People make a great living at it, and you know,
it keeps people away out of the streets and all
that stuff. That's fine, okay, but there are a lot
of nerds that play video games. I'm just saying, all right,
so a lot of geeks out there that have been
playing video games instead of going to parties or bars
for years and years. Now apparently now you can become
a doctor too, So keep nerding it up and save somebody.

Speaker 1 (40:27):
Else's life while you're performing surgery.

Speaker 5 (40:31):
You know, there's some people that are having to pay
for their past decisions in the NFL, and there's somebody
who feels really confident about one of theirs. Slow down,
it's early. We'll explain who that is coming up here
in just a couple of moments from now. Jonas Knox
Fox Sports Radio. You can listen to the show on
the iHeartRadio app. You can find us on hundreds of

Speaker 1 (41:16):
The way tire buying.

Speaker 5 (41:17):
Should be so first and first things first, you know
some people look at this and go, well, you know,
you guys, are you know, this is just like a
Saturday sports talk radio, but like this is prestigious, all right.
This isn't like one of those Nickel and dime, you
know morning shows that we have like uh, you know,
two pros and a cup of Joe, Like this is
a legitimate sports talk radio endeavor, Like this is like

(41:42):
a big deal. And with you know, big deals come
the ability to make big decisions. And you've got to
make difficult decisions at times, and then there's sometimes that
those people involved make those decisions easier. Isaac Lowenkron has
been suspended from the show. All right, moving forward. If

(42:05):
you were listening earlier, Isaac was with us an hour
one and you're probably thinking, come on, you and Isaac
get along great. You've known each other and this is
nothing personal, right, Like Isaac and I are are good buddies.
I've worked with Isaac for a long time, like well
over a decade here at Fox Sports Radio, long ass time.
So like Isaac's a good person. But you know, we
had to go to the bullpen. Like you're going to

(42:26):
see a lot of these teams in the playoffs in
Major League Baseball go to the bullpen. We had to
go to the bullpen, and we had to go with
you know, somebody that we can trust in Martin Weiss.
And the reason why we had to let Isaac go
from this show for today just today, you know, I mean,
Isaac thought that it was worth breaking news to announce
that Romeo Dobbs had been suspended indefinitely. Like, you know,

(42:48):
so because of that, he was suspended. I get difficult decision,
But we have the authority to make those decisions, all right,
We have that authority here on this show right now. Again,
if this was like, you know, that morning show with
like that's his name, Like is it Larry Arrington?

Speaker 1 (43:06):
What? And like Brian Quinn whatever.

Speaker 5 (43:09):
It is, Like, if it was that show, maybe they
wouldn't have the power to do that. But we do
on this show, So lesson learned. Next time Isaac breaks
into the show with news that Romeo Dobbs had been
suspended by the packers. Right, next time that happens, we'll
make it for another week. Right, but again it's just

(43:31):
for an hour. But we had to go to the
bullpens and Martin is here again. Just wanted to tie
everything together so we get we're all clear here that
this show holds real power even on Saturday afternoons from
the ti raq dot Com studios. All right, now we
got that out of the way, Let's get to this.
Davante Adams the very latest, as we talked about earlier

(43:53):
speaking of former packer wide receivers not named Romeo Dobbs,
you know, but Davante Adams. He wants out of Las Vegas.
They want him out as well too. The latest from
Jonathan Jones of CBS is that, well, you know, they're
trying to figure out the compensation for it. You know,
is it going to be a second round pick or

(44:16):
most people think they're going to have to settle for
a third you know, the teams that are involved, you know,
it's the you know, the Jets obviously are there, are
the front runner, and you know the trade is going
to happen. They're not going to it's not going to
be something that's going to go right up to the
wire on November fifth.

Speaker 1 (44:31):
They want to get this done quickly.

Speaker 5 (44:33):
So they're feeling like, Okay, well, this trade's probably going
to get done, you know, maybe in the next week
or so. And you know, the Jets are the favorite,
but the Saints are lurking, the Steelers, et cetera. And
so you know, you've got all that that's happening, and
it's like, all right, yeah, the Raiders just need to
move on. It's like, no, well, like DeVante Adams just
needs to move on from you. And I defended DeVante
Adams because what he signed up for and what he

(44:54):
thought he was getting in Las Vegas are two different things.
Like the direction of the team, the quarterback that's there,
So like, I actually defend the guy. You know, he
goes on k Adams podcast No Relation, and they go
on and they're you know, talking, and he's like calling
himself Tay in one to seven and it's like, Okay,
it's you know, it's a bit much, But I'm going

(45:16):
to defend the guy in the sense that wherever he's
at now in Vegas, that's not what he thought he
was getting a couple of years ago when he went
there signed the extension, like he thought he was going
to get to play with this quarterback and his best friend.
He thought it was like that's you know, the only
reason he would want out of Green.

Speaker 1 (45:32):
No. No, we're gonna give you like less than a season.
Then we're gonna trade him.

Speaker 5 (45:36):
It's like, oh okay, and then we're gonna have like,
you know, a meltdown, you know with the coaching staff
and like issues in the locker room and then we're
gonna bring in another guy. It's just like the whole
thing's a mess. It's a mess, And so I defend
Devont Adams, but like, when you think about it, this
whole situation with the Raiders is a mess, like as

(45:57):
a whole, And you can go all the way back
to like, well, you know, since they went to the
Super Bowl, how many players? It's like no, like we're
talking recent. There were some decisions that the Raiders made
that now that you look back on, you go, yeah,
probably shouldn't have done that, Like you probably shouldn't have
moved on from Rich Bisaccia, Like you probably shouldn't have

(46:21):
done that.

Speaker 1 (46:22):
And I said this earlier, Like if you go back
and look at what he did.

Speaker 5 (46:26):
And it's like, well, you know, Antonio Piers kept the
team afloat and you know they were like five and four,
it's like okay, But like so do Rich Bisaccia, And
I would argue that that was a much bigger mess
than what Antonio Pierce took over, Like Rich Pisaccia took over.
After the whole John Gruden fiasco took place to where
it was announced during a Monday night game that he

(46:48):
was being fired and all the other the stuff that
came out the emails and everything.

Speaker 1 (46:52):
Like whoa what.

Speaker 5 (46:55):
And like, okay, so now we're doing this, and Rich
Bassacia took that team over in turmoil. They went seven
and five down the stretch, and they went to the postseason,
and in that postseason game on the road at Cincinnati,
they had an opportunity to tie that game or win

(47:16):
it late.

Speaker 1 (47:19):
Like it was you know, a throw to the end
zone that was short of the.

Speaker 5 (47:24):
Goal line, just like they needed to score Derek Carthrut
like whatever. But point is, like people loved Rich Pissacia
and the thought was, dude, keep this guy. He's got
the team trending in the right direction. They just made
the p and they moved on and Basachi went took
over the special teams in Green Bay and all that,

(47:44):
and they just said, no, no, no, we're going to go ahead.
We're going to turn the keys over to Josh McDaniels
and company. We're going to you know, bring in you know,
Patriots front office, former Patriot assistant and we're going to
go this direction. And it just was never the same
after that. And so for anybody that looks at Antonio Peers,
and look, it's not like he's had a big, you know,

(48:06):
opportunity in Las Vegas with a lot of games to
try and prove himself. But anybody looks at that and goes, well,
you know, AP's not why. It's like, well, they hired
him because that was we don't want to make that
same mistake again. Like players loved Antonio Peers, which is
why they kept him. And the reason they kept him
is because players also loved rich Basaccia and they didn't

(48:29):
keep him. And then you get rid of Derek Carr
and now you're looking at it, going, man, the Raiders
have got issue at quarterback. It's like, well you had one,
like and we said it on the air here on FSR, Like, dude,
they're gonna miss Derek Carr more than they realize. Like
you can say whatever you want about him and give

(48:51):
him the Kirk Cousins treatment and all the other stuff
that goes, oh.

Speaker 1 (48:54):
He's this, and it's like okay, but like.

Speaker 5 (48:58):
Now you see, so I look at it and I
go we can sit here and talk about you know,
Devonte Adams wunning out and what's going on, and you know,
the Raider situation and you know business to say, it's
like no, no, no, Like the Raiders are paying for decisions
they made in the past, and that's where this thing
is headed. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio, and speaking

(49:19):
of decisions in the past, one of the matchups this
weekend is the Bears and the Panthers. And you got
a lot of Bear fans that are out there that
are really gonna take some enjoyment in this one commer,
you know, because they look at it and go, well,
if we're talking about decisions of the past, how about

(49:40):
the one Carolina mane huh hey, look.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
At Carolina over there.

Speaker 5 (49:45):
They gave us all of that for Bryce Young and
he's not even starting anymore and may never play a
game for them again. And we got the number one pick,
and we got DJ Moore and we got all these
other draft picks to go along with it, like local,
well we did to them, man, did we fleece the
care a lot of Panthers And it's like did you, Like,
I know, there's the potential of it being one of

(50:07):
the big fleece jobs in NFL history, but you do realize,
like there's another step to the equation before you can
gloat and say we got the best of this deal. Now,
did you get more players in return for what Carolina got?

Speaker 1 (50:23):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (50:23):
Has DJ mooremon great in Chicago? Yeah, that's why they
gave him the big monster contract this offseas it was
great last year. Some of those draft picks have turned
out to be good players for the Bears, but the
whole point of that was to get all of that
draft capital and then get your franchise quarterback.

Speaker 1 (50:43):
And as it stands right now, for being honest, we
don't know. We don't.

Speaker 8 (50:51):
Like.

Speaker 5 (50:51):
I think Caleb Williams has played better and better each week.
I actually think it's a blessing that Jaden Daniels is
getting all the attention and all the shine for the
way that he's played, because Caleb Williams has just been
able to progress and learn without that much of the
focus anymore and all like, so he's gotten better and better.

Speaker 1 (51:10):
But we don't know yet.

Speaker 5 (51:12):
And if we're going to further the discussion about how
confident or how good Bears fans should feel about everything, dude, like,
there's there's two players that you've got to watch that
are impacted here if you want to see how this
turns out and how we look back on this when
it comes to history being kind or unkind to the.

Speaker 1 (51:32):
Bears in this deal.

Speaker 5 (51:35):
One of them is Justin Fields because you told him
you didn't want him anymore, because you wanted Caleb Williams.
And as we've seen in Pittsburgh, he's gotten better and
better each week. If not for Justin Fields, they're not
even in that game last week against Indianapolis, and now
he's getting primetime stage Sunday Night football against the Cowboys,

(52:00):
and it looks like Russell Wilson may never see the
field as a starter for the Steelers if this keeps
up for Justin Fields. So that's one guy to watch
and then the other guy you just keep watching and going, yeah,
this looks worse and worse for the Bears, But okay,
we're gonna give it some time to see how Caleb
is CJ. Stroud, Because as we've pointed out on this
show before, it wasn't just the Panthers that shows somebody

(52:24):
over CJ.

Speaker 1 (52:25):
Stroud.

Speaker 5 (52:26):
It was also the Bears because they had that number
one pick and c J. Stroud was there and they
could have drafted him, but they didn't. So while you
got Bears fans that are looking at this matchup with
Carolina and going.

Speaker 1 (52:41):
Hey, over there, you dummies.

Speaker 5 (52:44):
Okay, as it stands right now, yes, it looks like
the trade has worked out in favor of Chicago. But
if you really want to be able to look back
on this thing and have an honest assessment of how
everything turned out and how the Bears regime did in
this deal, you need to see how Caleb Williams progresses.

Speaker 1 (53:02):
Because if it doesn't.

Speaker 5 (53:03):
Progress anything further than what it's been right now, they
deserve a little bit of criticism for a passing on CJ.
Stroud and b Letting justin Fields walk if he continues
to progress in Pittsburgh. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio
at the Jonas Knocks on X at the Jonas Knox
on X coming up next here from the tire Rack
dot Com Studios. Somebody in the NFL's just got to

(53:25):
get over it. You gotta get over it, you gotta
move on. We'll tell you who that is here on FSR.
Messed up, man, it's a wife.

Speaker 1 (53:38):
Yeah, so what.

Speaker 5 (53:41):
By the way, I'm the only guy in America who
gets burnt at a pumpkin patch.

Speaker 1 (53:48):
Stop it. No, you didn't not. Yeah I did. I
did totally unpasty man, it's not a yeah, it's Jonas.

Speaker 8 (53:56):
That would make two of us then, because I'm with
you there, Oh.

Speaker 1 (53:58):
There's just I mean, and it is what it is. Man,
there's not Chex Ginger. He has an excuse. You do not.

Speaker 5 (54:05):
Look I mean and all the full disclosure. I've gone
to tanning salons. There's no tan there's no like.

Speaker 1 (54:11):
I tried that, Like I I admittedly tried that. There
was no like it was like what happened, dude, Like,
I mean, I don't know. We go full pink. Oh
my god. Yeah, it's just like it's terrible.

Speaker 8 (54:23):
I go from Patrick Sweka to Patrick Starr.

Speaker 1 (54:26):
Oh that pink.

Speaker 5 (54:27):
It's not it is not it's not great.

Speaker 1 (54:32):
So yeah, you know, I went to a pumpkin patch yesterday.
I got a little fried, a little got a little
tore up. Did you get a nice pumpkin though? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (54:41):
But like I tell my like, we don't buy the pumpkins.
We have to play the game to win the pumpkins.
And my son's really good, even though he's three, is
good at the the games at carnivals, and so he
did like a ring toss and won his own pumpkins.
So we're gonna get paint today and he's gonna paint
it and like that. Because it's a little too early
to like carve anything. It'll just fall apart anyways. So
we're gonna paint it and do all that stuff. So, yeah,
i'd like to teach he don't don't pay for that.

(55:03):
I like, I want to be a good parent, So
I just tell me, don't pay for it. Either earn
it or steal it.

Speaker 3 (55:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (55:09):
Same, So you want to hear what we'd do.

Speaker 9 (55:11):
We have this little up in Roseberg. We'd go to
the very end of the pumpkin patch and you have
to drive back up this long road to go, and
you know, weigh your pumpkins and leave and we just
throw them in the back of the truck.

Speaker 1 (55:22):
Okay, let's go.

Speaker 5 (55:23):
Yeah, So I mean I was kidding, but I mean, listen,
you know, everybody like you know inflation, you know, you
gotta do what you gotta do. But no, it's it's fun,
you know, fall season, pumpkin patch season. It would be
now I'll say this, by the way, Jonas Knox or
Fox Sports Radio, I'll see this. It would be nice if, like,
you know, the weather gods would look at October and go,

(55:45):
all right, let's go ahead and like make everything cool
off a bit, Like it's ninety eight in La right now.
It's like the Niners and Cardinals are playing in ninety
nine degree weather tomorrow. It's like you look like all
across like at some point somebody he's got to look
at Mother Nature and go, hey, come on, well, like
what are we waiting for.

Speaker 1 (56:04):
It's it's officially fall.

Speaker 5 (56:05):
It's October, Like can we get like some fall season,
can we get some of this stuff?

Speaker 1 (56:09):
But instead we got to deal with the heat here
all over the country in October.

Speaker 5 (56:13):
And by the way, if it is cold wherever you
are listening to this show on the iHeartRadio app or
on one of our fine affiliates, enjoy it because over here,
well we're sweating away.

Speaker 1 (56:23):
We'd love to be where you are.

Speaker 3 (56:24):
All right.

Speaker 5 (56:27):
So at a certain point you got to get over it. Like,
and this doesn't just apply to life relationships whatever, like
you know, it applies to the NFL. You got to
get over it. And so the NFL has done this
thing to where they've kind of got all these matchups

(56:47):
this weekend and You've got a lot of x'es, you know,
like you got a lot of people out there that
are playing their former team, going against their ex you know,
like you know, we talked about, you know, the Panthers
and the Bears. We talked about that Sam Darnold's going
to be playing the Jets again over in London.

Speaker 1 (57:03):
Like you know, you get like all of.

Speaker 5 (57:05):
These like different matchups that are happening around the NFL,
you know, and one of them that involves the quote
unquote x'es as people look and see you know, all
the other stuff that's out there, is the Bills and
the Texans.

Speaker 1 (57:18):
And it's one of the better games.

Speaker 5 (57:20):
Because these are two teams that people look at as
playoff teams. The Bills are coming off a pretty lackluster performance.
Actually that's that's being kind. They got their asses beat
by the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football.

Speaker 1 (57:35):
That's what happened.

Speaker 5 (57:37):
And of course the conversation now turns to Stefan Diggs
and Stefan Diggs who's going to be playing his former team.

Speaker 1 (57:45):
And what's funny about this is that it feels like
it's the Bills who can't get over it. Like you
would think.

Speaker 5 (57:54):
I mean, they're the ones that ate all of that
in the salary cap, Like they're like, you know, having
to eat like twenty eight thirty million dollars whatever it
is in the salary cap, like dead money hit just
to get rid of him. They just had to move
on from him. It'd run its core, like you would like,
they're the ones that moved on from Stefan Diggs, yet
they're the ones that are still talking about it.

Speaker 1 (58:15):
It's weird.

Speaker 5 (58:17):
Like Jeremy Fowler of ESPN did this long breakdown this
week on ESPN or on ESPN dot Com where you
had this big breakdown of like everything that transpired with
Stefan Diggs and the Bills and why they needed to
move on and they were better off without him, and
it was like and like none of it was from
Stefan days to Stefan Diggs or the Houston side. It

(58:40):
was all from the Bills and like you know, anonymous
members of the organization like talking with people in Minnesota
where Stefan Diggs played, and they're, I mean it basically
something to sum it up, like Stefan Diggs kind of
a pain in the ass, so they say, kind.

Speaker 1 (58:58):
Of a pain in the ass. It wears out its welcome.

Speaker 5 (59:00):
He's very moody, he's very this, he's that, he's you know,
they decided the Bills were going to be better off
without him, you know, like all the tantrums and all that.
That's why they could, you know, like all of this,
like you know, and it's like members of the Bills
that are talking about it, and you know, people in
Minnesota are like.

Speaker 1 (59:17):
Oh, yeah, we know that, we dealt with it when
we got rid of him.

Speaker 5 (59:20):
It's like, oh, and it's like, dude, move on, it's over.
Like it didn't work out. It was a long time coming,
and it didn't work out. Yet for some reason, they're
still talking about it. And you could look at that
and go, well, that's not Sean McDermott that's talking. That's like,
you know, nobody that goes on there. Okay, So then

(59:42):
Sean McDermott and somebody within the organization should like gather
everybody up and say stop, just stop, like no more,
like let's not bring it up, let's not mention it,
let's not discuss it.

Speaker 1 (59:58):
It's it's done, it's buried, it's over.

Speaker 5 (01:00:01):
You gotta move on. Like for some reason they still
keep talking like, oh, well, here's what went wrong and
we're so much better off without him. It's like, so,
what are you convincing yourself or like what are you
doing like Stefon Diggs is saying anything? And look, all
of that may be true, like we've been We've heard

(01:00:23):
that for years.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
Like people in minutes say, yeah, you know, they say
he's a pain in the ass to deal with in
the locker room. Okay, all right, like yeah, you know,
we got it.

Speaker 5 (01:00:34):
You know, he was here and everything was happy, and
then he didn't get the ball one game and he
threw a tantrum and he's yelling at Josh Allen. Like
there was even this report that came out, you know,
like that that Josh Allen and Stefan Diggs were yelling
at each other in the locker room week one after
their lots to the loss to the Jets last season,
Like you know, Josh Allen stood up and they were
screaming it.

Speaker 1 (01:00:54):
He's like, okay, all right, it's over. Like I don't
know about you. I got a lot of XS that
sounded bad, you know what I mean? Okay, just see
to leave it alone.

Speaker 5 (01:01:08):
But the point is I'm not sitting here, you know,
reevaluating and you know, reinvestigating all the arguments we had.

Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
I don't even.

Speaker 5 (01:01:19):
Remember, like like who cares like you're on the better things? Married,
got a kid, Like just like you're onto better, Like
this is what you wanted. There's a reason you're not
with them anymore. There's a reason you didn't want him anymore.
There's a reason you ate all that money to move
off of him. Why are you talking about it? Let
it go and just hope that that didn't put more

(01:01:41):
logs on the fire for Stefan Diggs to come out tomorrow,
because you know, Houston's gonna have something dialed up, you
know it. Just hope that you bounce back after that
beating you got from Baltimore. And I like the Bills Organization,
big fan of Bill's Mafia, love Josh Allen.

Speaker 1 (01:01:59):
But let's just hope that the.

Speaker 5 (01:02:01):
Focus isn't on we're so glad we got rid of
our ex and we's no longer with us anymore, and
it's more like, hey, we need to bounce back from
whatever the hell that was in Baltimore on Sunday night,
And just hope that Stefan Diggs doesn't come out and
put one on him because he will run his mouth afterwards.

the latest from around the world of sports. After Isaac
Lohankron was suspended for the rest of the show, He's
always nice, He's Martin Weiss.

Speaker 10 (01:05:35):
All right, Dane As I'll start with some college football
results aps of games that just ended UCLA.

Speaker 1 (01:05:40):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 10 (01:05:40):
Penn State beat UCLA twenty seven to eleven. Drew Aller
had with a passing and rushing touchdown for the Nitney
Lions to twenty fifth rank Texas A and m Aggie's
a spank the ninth ranks Missouri forty one to ten.
Aggie running back Le'Veon Moss had twelve carries, one hundred
and eighty three yards and three touchdowns. As you at
twenty two ranked Louisville, the Mustangs beat the Cardinals third
to twenty seven. Kelvin Jennings have a day twenty one

(01:06:03):
to twenty seven to eighty one yards, ten carries for
one hundred and thirteen yards, one touchdown, and baseball Laye
Thomas hit a three run homer and the Guardians have
not looked back.

Speaker 1 (01:06:13):
I'll start throwing homer.

Speaker 10 (01:06:14):
In the bottom of the first inning, they scored six
runs I mean five runs there added on two more
in the bottom of the seventh Here now seven nothing

of their series Mets Phillies, four pm Eastern, first pitch

Speaker 1 (01:07:16):
Right here.

Speaker 10 (01:07:16):
Romeo Dobbs suspended one game for conduct detrimental to the team.

Speaker 1 (01:07:20):
Brian Cooten Kusang.

Speaker 10 (01:07:21):
Unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to suspend Romeo.
His decisions and actions during the week negatively impacted the
team and required us to take this action. No word
yet from a general manager of Fox with Radio, Scot
Shapiro of what actions will be taken against Isaac Locron
for his actions just negatively impacted the team.

Speaker 1 (01:07:41):
Jonas knock expact to you. Thank you, Martin, well done,
well done.

Speaker 5 (01:07:47):
Yeah, you know, we're like in the middle of you know,
some piping hot sports talk and how dare Isaac Rowan
Kron break in with Romeo Dobbs getting suspended a game
you fired?

Speaker 1 (01:07:58):
And look, as I said, what happened.

Speaker 5 (01:08:01):
If you're one of those people out there that have
been disappointed in Romeo Dobbs on your fantasy team, if
he's on your fantasy team, you're probably not making.

Speaker 1 (01:08:08):
The playoffs anyway.

Speaker 5 (01:08:08):
So you know, if that's I mean, we're just gonna
call what it is. I'm sorry, all right, truths have
to be told here on this show. So that is
the That is the the update there from Martin. Weis
here on Fox Sports Radio. Jonas Knox with you here
on FSR by the way, coming up and uh we'll
call it about twelve minutes from now here from the
tire rack dot Com studios.

Speaker 1 (01:08:28):
It's Knox Locks.

Speaker 5 (01:08:30):
After a brilliant performance last week, we are back for
the week five edition and we'll get into that for
you again coming up here on FSR. So, I was
looking at the NFL schedule, and look, I know people
think that this is like you know, all right, listen,
they've had enough let him up.

Speaker 1 (01:08:48):
With no, no, no, no, no, I'm sorry, like you
do this to yourself.

Speaker 5 (01:08:55):
It needs to be discussed. Like there's if you believe
the betting odds, the likelihood is that the Cleveland Browns
are going to be one in four tomorrow after tomorrow
at Washington, they're gonna be one in four. And you
could probably wonder, like, well, what's the significance of that. Well,

(01:09:15):
I'll tell you what it is. They're going to be
one in four to a team that's starting a quarterback
that just got into the NFL twenty minutes ago. Like
like this has gone so much worse for Cleveland than
I think anybody like really really understands. Like I know,
we talk about like, man, that's like one of the

(01:09:37):
one of the worst uh moves by an organization and
like oh well, and it's like, no, I don't think
he get it.

Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
Like I don't.

Speaker 5 (01:09:45):
I don't think you like truly totally have grasped what's
happening here, Like Deshaun Watson's been a disaster for the Browns,
like like it is not worse. It's like, well, I'll
be doing it to ki him a chance. He hasn't
been a fain. Oh okay, Well, like who's fault is that?
Whether it's injuries or you know, being suspended all those
times because he went to the grab lab, Like whose

(01:10:06):
fault is that? And like last week against and I
know they're banged up. Look I get it, Like the
offensive line is in shambles. You've got injuries, like I
get out, Like Miles Garrett's basically playing on two club foots,
Like I get it, And I know the injuries are real.
But like when you see the way Baker Mayfield played

(01:10:30):
on Thursday night, the way that he's played, you see
how this team has started out the year, and it's like,
all right, this is gonna be the real tell tale
sign of where Deshaun Watson is at. And then you
see a guy like Jayden Daniels who just got into
the league and the way he's playing, Like, you're gonna
watch this game tomorrow and it's gonna be like a
night and day difference of like quarterback play. And one

(01:10:55):
of the guys just got into the league and the
other guy got two hundred and thirty million dollars guarantee.
And I know people want to sit there and oh,
I mean yeah, but look, I mean, you know, there's
we've talked, there's other circumstances. It's okay, But like the
more that this goes on, the worse it looks. And
if you just look at Cleveland and you look at

(01:11:17):
where they're at and what the expectations were and all
of that, and it's so, I know, well, you're just
basic an off expectation, fine, based off whatever you want, expectations,
but they're reasonable. Like, dude, you're probably gonna be one
and four against to Washington. What could they beat Washington?
Of course they could, but you're probably gonna be one
in four. Then you go to Philadelphia after that, I mean,

(01:11:42):
if we're being honest, you're probably gonna lose that game too.
Then you're one in five, and then you've got the
Bengals and the Ravens at home. And if it continues
to go down this path, and let's say Cincinnati gets
on a heater, dude, you could be looking at a
team that's like what.

Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
One in eight at.

Speaker 5 (01:12:02):
The bye week to in seven? Like, did you have
that before the season? Like I know, I knew that
there could be some struggle.

Speaker 1 (01:12:12):
Did you have that?

Speaker 5 (01:12:13):
Because I didn't and I wasn't optimistic on the whole thing,
and I haven't been. But this could go bad in
a hurry, even worse than it already has. And it
could start tomorrow when they see Jaden Daniels and the Commanders.
Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio at the Jonas Knox
on X at the Jonas Knox on X coming up
next here, we are going to close up shop with

(01:12:34):
the week five edition of Knox Locks right here on FSR.

Speaker 1 (01:12:39):
I wish I could repeat that on the air. Non't
do it. Unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (01:12:50):
You know, I work with Lorena every day during the week,
and she's taking quite enjoyment out of right before we
come on the air, just throwing a pipe bomb on
my lap and just saying, go for it.

Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
Have fun. You're live. Geez, someone's got to play with you. Jonas,
that's not it horrible? Oh well listen, I mean if
LeVar was here, you know what he would do with that.
You know, that's that's you know.

Speaker 5 (01:13:18):
But hey, Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio. By the way,
coming up top of next hour a little over ten
minutes from now here from the tire rack dot Com studios.
Make sure you stick around, Alex Curry, Carmen Vitally they
will take over the airwaves. We've got all sorts of
discussion to be at, whether it be college football, the NFL,
the Major League Baseball playoffs are here, which means everybody's

(01:13:40):
stress is heightened.

Speaker 1 (01:13:41):
I'll say this about MLB.

Speaker 5 (01:13:44):
Nobody goes from ay, it's fun, it's lighthearted, it's entertaining,
just a nice little family day at the ballpark to
edge of your seat, biting your nails. I need another
drink because I can't handle this much stress like Major
League Baseball does. So I feel for the fan bases

(01:14:04):
of these Major League Baseball teams because it is a
miserable existence having to hang on every single pitch of
the postseason, where all of a sudden, a two ball,
two strike count, that goes to three and two. Next
thing you know, everybody's freaking out, everybody's panicking, everybody's nervous.

Speaker 1 (01:14:24):
So that'll be a lot of fun to watch throughout it.

Speaker 5 (01:14:26):
We've got four games today and it'll be fun over
the next month and a half or so when it
comes to baseball, having the NFL, having college football. So
Carmen and Alex will have you covered on all that
stuff here a little over ten minutes from now. A
reminder that after we go off the air, the podcast
will be going up, so if you've missed any of it,

Speaker 1 (01:15:01):
But right now it's time for this lock it.

Speaker 3 (01:15:05):
Let's lock it and now and now Knox locks.

Speaker 1 (01:15:09):
So what do you say, Let's go ahead and look
back on last week?

Speaker 2 (01:15:13):
Huh?

Speaker 5 (01:15:14):
Come on, everybody out there that ran their mouth, that
had been making their jokes that have been talking all
that trash about the poor performance of Knox Locks through
the first few weeks of the season.

Speaker 1 (01:15:27):
I mean, I heard it for all God. I mean,
you've got to get in the morning. They're busting my
balls about it.

Speaker 5 (01:15:32):
People on Twitter are breaking me in half about all
of that stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:15:35):
That's what happened last week. Listen.

Speaker 5 (01:15:39):
We loved the Jaguars getting six and a half points
at the Texans.

Speaker 1 (01:15:44):
We loved it. Probably should have won the game outright,
that was a win.

Speaker 5 (01:15:50):
Loved the Niners minus ten and a half over the
New England Patriots at home, and thanks to Nick Bosa,
we didn't have some garbage time robbery.

Speaker 1 (01:16:02):
They get it.

Speaker 5 (01:16:03):
Done at Levi Stadium where it's gonna be one hundred
and ninety four degrees tomorrow against the Cardinals. You've got
the Seahawks and the Lions on Monday Night football. I mean,
I like Detroit minus three and a half. I didn't
know Jared Goff was gonna go perfect. I don't know
he'd play perfect, But I love Detroit in that spot
because I'm just I wasn't as much of a believer

(01:16:24):
in Seattle as everybody else was going into that game.

Speaker 1 (01:16:27):
So when you add all that together, a three and zero.

Speaker 5 (01:16:30):
Week last week for Knox Locks, it puts our record
for the year at five and seven. We are starting
to make a charge. So now it's time for Week five,
Raven said, Bengals. Now, I'll be honest with you, this
is I call this a pre conceived pick.

Speaker 1 (01:16:49):
I'm gonna take the Bengals.

Speaker 5 (01:16:51):
I will take the Cincinnati Bengals in this spot, and
it's all based on pre conceived preseason opinions. Yes, I
do have the Cincinnati Bengals going to the super Bowl. Yes,
I understand they finally won a game last week. But
I look at the matchup and I go, maybe we
get a letdown here Baltimore. Everybody's talking about the return

(01:17:12):
of the Baltimore Ravens.

Speaker 1 (01:17:13):
They are back.

Speaker 5 (01:17:14):
They are one of the NFL's a lead after what
they did on Sunday Night Football, and now they're gonna
have to go on the road. And to further the point,
I'm getting two and a half points for Cincinnati at
home in this matchup.

Speaker 1 (01:17:26):
I'll take it.

Speaker 5 (01:17:27):
I understand, I acknowledge a lot of this is based
on the fact that I was a big time believer
in the Cincinnati Bengals before the year, but I think
they start to round into form, and the fact that
they're getting points at home. I'll take Cincinnati tomorrow, cold
said Jaguars. Jacksonville's got to win a game at some point.
I mean, they got a winn a game, and they've

(01:17:47):
got to win a game and like look halfway decent
at some point. Now, Anthony Richardson is probably out. I
think he's out. I think it's official. Joe Flacco is
going to be stepping in. To be honest with you,
I'd probably feel better about things if Anthony Richardson was starting,
no shade. But what do you know, same old story
with Anthony Richardson. By the way, how about this, the
guy started eight games in his NFL career and he's

(01:18:10):
left four due to injury. Kind of a problem, a
little bit of a problem. But Joe Flacco steps in.
Love Joe Flacco. But I like Jacksonville in this spot. Yeah,
they're three point favorites. They probably shouldn't be three point favorites.
But at some point, Jacksonville's got to win a game.
They're too talented, they've got too much there to not

(01:18:30):
show up at least once this year. Can that one
time for the Jaguars be this year, for this week
be this year, happen tomorrow? What do you say at
home with all that that's happening in Indianapolis and Jonathan
Taylor's out. I think if they're gonna show up, tomorrow's
the time they do it. I like Jacksonville minus the
three Cowboys and Steelers. I don't know why I do

(01:18:51):
this to myself. I really don't. Honestly, I'm gonna take
Dallas plus three. I know it's on the road, so
it's primetime. I know the Cowboys have, like, you know,
this ability to just no show certain times and just
not be there, and Michael Parsons is injured and all like,
I get it. But for some reason I like Dallas

(01:19:12):
from this spot. I think Dallas rises to the occasion.
I think they do it in primetime on Sunday Night Football,
and even if they don't, just don't lose by more
than three. That's all we're asking here. Give me the
Cowboys plus three and that is your Week five edition
of Knox Locks.

Speaker 3 (01:19:28):
Oh yeah, that's what.

Speaker 1 (01:19:29):
I'm talking about. This has been a fun show.

Speaker 5 (01:19:32):
I want to thank Patrick sweeka Lorena who stepped in
on a Saturday, Martin Wise, Yes, even Isaac, though he
got suspended for the final hour of the show. It's
been a fun one. Appreciate you hanging out with us.
