Speaker 1 (00:00):
I have to stop from the beginning.

com Fox Sports Radio Studios, here's Jonas Knox y.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Okay, I'll be part of this world.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
You know, there's something that I realized we all like
to take part in, and it's kind of a waste
of time. I'll explain what that is coming up here
in just a couple of moments. From now, Jonas Knocks,

Speaker 4 (01:28):
So there's something that I realized that we love to
do in sports media, radio, television, tweets, ig posts, snapface, TikTok, like,
whatever you want to call it. We all love to
do it, and we do it and we've been doing
it for years. It doesn't matter when it is like

(01:49):
we did it through COVID. We've done it last offseason,
we did it this offseason. We're still doing it, and
it's still going to continue on and it's going to
go on and on and on. And it's the debate
about which quarterbacks starting quarterbacks with credentials and accomplishments, about

(02:12):
which ones deserve to be paid and which ones don't,
and the discussion goes on and on and listen, it's fine,
but there is a reality to it, and the reality
to it is these teams know how good these quarterbacks are,

(02:34):
and generally speaking, they get paid.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
That's usually how this goes.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Brian Gudokountz the GM for the Green Bay Packers, he
just signed his quarterback to a big time extension.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Jordan Love's going to be there another four years, and the.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Packers GM spoke about, you know, some of the challenges,
but how we'd rather have this problem than some others.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
Whenever you have these big contracts, there's there's some challenges
that we dealt with that pretty much, you know for
the past I don't know how many, however many years, so.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
That's part of it.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
But I would rather be dealing with this challenge and
some others, so you know, that's that'll be part of it.
It'll be important that we continue to draft well and
make the decisions along the way. But you know, having
that position stable and a guy who we know can
perform at a high level, I'll take that every day.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Translation, I'd rather have a guy and overpay than not
have one at all.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Mike.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
You know, like there's one thing to cut corners, and
then there's another thing to realize you've cut corners when
it's too late, whether it's hey, you know, probably should
get that maintenance done in my car. But you know what,
that's sixty bucks to get an oil change. I mean
that'll get me like two thirty packs this weekend. So

(03:47):
I'm gonna go ahead and get that taken care of.
But all of a sudden the Monday, on your way
to work at Overheats and you're on the side.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Of the highway.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Oops, probably should have gotten the oil change. Realize it
a bit too late, goudakouts. Much like all these teams
in the NFL, they've got quarterbacks, the Dolphins with Tua tug.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Of Iloa, they all know, yeah, we got to pay.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Him because they're credentialed, they've got accomplishments, they're good enough.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
We should pay him.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
You can try and cut corners, you can try and
go down the road of what Washington did years ago
with Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Nana.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
We'll just franchise him, Nana. And now we'll just franchise
him again. We'll kick the can.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Down the road.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
And how many years later has Kirk Cousins put up
good numbers? And how many years later have the Washington
commanders been trying to find a starting quarterback. It's been
going on a long time. They had one, they played games.
That was the result. So all these teams know. Yet

(04:50):
we have these discussions and these debates and these conversations,
and listen, I'm happy for him. As I mentioned, Dak
Prescott's contract got us through COVID. People were arguing against
Tuatago bay Low. Why would the Dolphins pay him? You
can't win a Super Bowl with him? What is Jordan
Love done? He's only won nine games as a starter

(05:11):
in the end of Okay, fine, but these teams know, hey,
we'd rather have a guy than not have one. Yet
the conversation is going to continue. It's going to continue
with Dak Prescott throughout the course of training camp and
probably into this year. It's going to continue with Rock
Purty next year. Like these discussions are going to happen

(05:33):
over and over and over again. And if you think
about it, it's kind of a waste of time because
the end results always ninety nine percent of the time
going to be the end result. It's like wrapping gifts.
I kind of had this epiphany while wrapping a gift
for my son for Christmas. Now, what Santa does with

(05:55):
his gifts that he gives to my son, I have
no idea. They're just there under the tree Christmas morning.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
It is what it is.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
But I'm wrapping this gift forim for Christmas, and I'm like,
this is the biggest wasted time.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
In my life. Do you want to know why? Because
he doesn't care about the gift rap. He doesn't care
that it looks good.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
He doesn't care that there's a piece of tape that's
the same length of tape on the other side that
it is on this side. He doesn't care what the
bow looks like. He does not care. Then half the
time the bows don't even stick to the wrapping paper
because you get him at the dollar Tree and the
adhesive is basically like a melted ice cream doesn't matter.

(06:33):
All he cares about is what's inside. But we get
caught up in the gift rap as opposed to the gift.
The gift rap is the discussion back and forth does
this guy deserve this?

Speaker 2 (06:45):
And the teams are like, no, no, no, what's underneath there? Oh?

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Is he good enough? Can we win games with him?
Have we won games with him? Do we think we're
going to continue to win games with him? Is he
got credentials? Yeah, we're good. We're not going to take
any chances. The end result was always going to be
the end result. Jordan love Tua Dak Brock Party next year,
all these guys end up getting paid. It's the way

(07:08):
this thing works. Jonas Knoxy or Fox Sports radio. Now,
I do want to also, at the same time, while
I'm pointing a finger at you, I want to point
a thumb back at me. Okay, so let me point
it at you, and then let me point the thumb
back at me. We've all got problems, like legitimate, realistic,

(07:33):
real life problems. We are addicts. Now, if you know
anybody that's an addict or dealing with addiction in their life,
it is really troubling, like it is a real issue
and it's nothing to make light of.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
We also fall in line with that.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Now, if you happen to be somebody who's you know,
you got a little bit of a liking that's maybe
too much of a liking for the liverlube.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
And right now you're.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
Sitting in a parking lot somewhere outside the in laws,
and you're ripping a big gold that everyone thinks is
diet pepsi, but really it's like half a bottle of
Evan Williams and some doctor pepper you found in a
gutter somewhere. Listen, I'm not judging. This isn't really about that.
You figure that out on your own.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
But here's what we're addicted to. We're addicted to football. Now.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
I would go as far to say as it's a problem,
except I don't really think it is. I'm watching some
of the coverage around the league, and I'm realizing there
is no other sport anywhere. I don't know how they
feel about soccer and Europe. Maybe this is it, and
if it is, I'm out. But there is no other

(08:48):
sport where training camp or practice is covered the way
it is like it is in the NFL. Like not
just people are paying attention to it. It's not like,
you know, like spring training will come around for baseball
and it's like, okay, well spring training's here a but
it's it's really kind of a vacation thing. They it's springtime,

(09:11):
starting to get a little bit warmer. What are you
guys thinking, I don't know, let's go see our favorite team.
We could either go to Florida or Arizona, you know,
both cool places. You know, they do it up. They
got these ballparks, you got a bunch of players like it.
But it's really a relaxed vibe.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
You know, it's not training camp.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
We actually break down and analyze, like there's actually discussions
about how one team did in seven on sevens just
think about that for a second. I don't care what
your favorite team is. Whatever reporter you follow that covers
that team, I guarantee you you've seen the following tweet
sent out over the past forty eight to seventy two hours,

(09:52):
something along the lines of it was a rough day
for so and so and seven on seven completed just
through of their first eight passes and blob to hold
on a second, it's seven on seven. Like it's not
even football. It looks nothing like anything that you're going
to see coming up in September. Yet for some reason,

(10:16):
we analyze it, we break it down. You got people
who've never thrown a football talking about off platform throws
and all the other crazy terms that are being used
during training, and we soak it up. We can't get
enough of it, Like you just keep searching and searching,

(10:38):
and what's this? What is that We've got video here
and we've got to sit down here and somebody's speaking
on this, and so no other sport on the planet
gets this coverage, Like when NBA training camp comes around,
do you care, Because I'll be honest with you, I
don't at all. Apologies to the NHL. I don't even

(11:00):
know you when you report to camp. I'm sorry, not
really my thing. Is there a practice period for golf?
If there is, I wouldn't know about it. But in
the NFL, not only do we know when it is,
we know who's involved, we know who's sitting out, we

(11:21):
know who's covering it, we know how long it lasts.
It is non stop and the reason it's like this
is because of us, you and me. So if anybody
asks you, hey, do you have any addictions? They're not
talking about the stuff that you sip or the stuff
that you snort, or the stuff that you slam in

(11:44):
your wrist or the stuff that you slam in your
foot because you can't find a vein that works anywhere
else because you use them too much. They're talking about football.
So when they ask you that question, don't be ashamed.
Just say, yes, you know what, I am addicted to
football and I'm not quitting anytime soon.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
And I got news for you.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
Based on the amount of money the league makes, they're
not quitting anytime soon either. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio,
at the Jonas Knox at The Jonas Knox on Twitter
or X if you will, we are gonna.

Speaker 2 (12:14):

Speaker 7 (12:58):
And that's why we have a brand new podcast called
over Promised. You see, we're having so much fun in
our two hour show. We never get to everything, honestly,
because this guy is over promising things we never have
time for. Yeah, you blubber listen me.

Speaker 6 (13:12):
Well, you know what it's called over promise. You should
be good at it because you've been over promising women
for years.

Speaker 7 (13:17):
Well, it's a Covino and Rich after show, and we
want you to be a part of it. We're gonna
be talking sports, of course, but we're also gonna talk
life and relationships. And if Rich and I are arguing
about something or we didn't have enough time, it will
continue on our after show called over Promised. Well, if
you don't get enough Covino and Rich, make sure you
check out over Promised and also Uncensored, by the way,
so maybe we'll go at it even a little harder.

It's gonna be the best after show podcast of all time.
There you go, over Promising. Remember you could see it
on YouTube, but definitely join us. Listen Over Promised with
Covino and Rich on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
By the way, they got this g mix on TV
with the Olympics and we've got some sort of aquatic
event I believe, gymnastics, basketball, field, hockey, soccer. I and

(14:19):
I just I just don't care. I'll be I'm to look.
I just want to get down to business here, all right.
Can we get down to the to the real games,
like can we get down to the good stuff here,
Like I'm just no offense to like field hockey, and
like handball was pretty fun to watch, Like no offense

(14:40):
to any of those. But it's just like I feel
like we got a lot going on there.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
You know.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
It's like at a certain point, you just have way
too many topics, you know, like I'm I'm all for
you know, a couple here or there. But when we
start going down the you know and get into the
you know, olives and anchovies and shop wives and whatever
else crap you guys put on pizza, it just becomes
too much. Let's go live to our I have a

(15:05):
thought on the Olympics insider Chris prefet for the latest Chris.

Speaker 8 (15:08):
Hey, do not disrespect handball, but I will I whatever
weird topping you assigned to table tennis, I will eat it.
That is the king of Olympic sports. I probably the
most fun I had in Sidney was going to table tennis.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
Most by the way Humble dropped there by Chris Prefett,
who likes to show his money and his wealth here
live on the air without you being able to have
spotted or identity.

Speaker 8 (15:31):
Yeah, my wealth when I would have been fourteen years old.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
I listen. I'm more of a badminton guy myself. But
if people want to dive into the ta because here's
the problem, Like I can't look at ping pong the
same after playing beer pong. It just feel like you
cut out the middleman, Like why do I have a
paddle in my hands when I can just throw the
ball into a cup and get to drink afterwards.

Speaker 8 (15:54):
Look, I think in this country there's obviously sports we
care about. A lot is track and field and swimming
at the Olympics. But you go to table tennis and
you'll see a lot of Japanese people and Chinese people
really getting into it. You go over to judo too,
and you'll see the kazaks of Mongolians going.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
After it, I know, by the way, and you go
to Comic Con you'll see a lot of nerds getting
really into it too.

Speaker 8 (16:14):
I'm not interested, by the way, what is this thing
with surfing they have, like some of the sports in
French Tahiti. I'd much rather go to Tahiti than France
for this. Yeah it's Paris, but come on, it's just Yeah.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
There's a lot going on, But you know, listen, as
we as this, you know, we kind of get used
to having all this at our disposal, then we'll you know,
we'll get in get to enjoy it a little bit more.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
But yeah, there's just a lot happening.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
But nonetheless the Olympics or secondary towards the to what
the real topic of conversation here is, and the real
topic of conversation right now is the NFL and coming
up in about well, we'll call it a little over
ten minutes from now from the Tairaq dot com studios,
we are going to find out very soon whether or

(16:57):
not somebody is going to break a decade long trend
in the NFL. That'll be yours here from these direc
dot com studios. So let's talk about this. Though, I
want to talk about something that we can all relate to.
There is a moment where and I don't want to
speak for women. You know, I'm a guy. I want
to speak for men, all right, because I don't want

(17:18):
to speak for women, even though you know a lot
of people do these days. But like what I want
to say is this, when you're in the doghouse, there's
kind of these different stages.

Speaker 9 (17:32):
There's the.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
You know, uh, try and deny it, and then the
acceptance and then the apology and then the groveling, and
then you just get to a point where you're like,
at whatever except the apology, or don't I don't I
mean at this applige. And that's a really fun stage
to be in because it's so freeing. It's such a

(17:55):
freeing moment to where listen, I've tried to deny it,
then I've apologized, then I've gotten the gift, then I've begged,
then I've groveled, then I'll let it be, and then finally,
after a while, you just like, screw it is what
it is.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Don't know what to tell you.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
Somebody in the NFL's at that stage. They are at
that stage to where you know what, I'm done being
in the doghouse. I'm over it, and either you can
get over it or you can't. You know who that
is none other than Deshaun Watson. You want to know
how I know that Deshaun Watson's done with being in

(18:36):
the doghouse because he spoke at Brown's training camp about
what his expectations, about what his goals, about what he
wants out of this upcoming year, his third with the
Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Let's take a listen, just being.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
The best of Shaun Watson can be for this team
so we can get that ultimate goal and massimize of
my potential and my talent. And that's my motivation. You know,
I don't have anything else that is going to motivate me.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
None of it's.

Speaker 7 (19:08):
Improving people wrong, like your.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
Rank quarterbacks, and I get now, I get to what
other people said.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
We'll be honest, it's the best. Just think about it.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
That is someone who's got as bad of a track record. Oh,
I don't want to say bad, because there's been worst
track records. Right, clearly we know that I'm at the NFL,
but as weird of a track record as you can
possibly have.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
It's weird, all of it.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
He came into the first year like, you know, listen,
just I'm uncomfortable, but I want to be accepted here
and I understand and I'll accept my punishment and you know,
all of that, and then it's like okay, now I
gotta work really hard. I prove myself and you know
then and then finally the year three, he's just like, hey, whatever, man, Hey,
you're gonna take de shan wat Like even when third person.
He is so far past and so over being in

(20:06):
the doghouse that he's now talking in third person and
literally doesn't care, and you know what, to his credit,
he probably shouldn't care.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Why would he.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
Yeah, so there's like, you know, thirty sixty one hundred
different massage therapists that like claim he did it, you
know whatever, and there's like you know, kind of like
graphic details and they all seemingly have the same thing
where he does these weird things.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
Like you know, like but you know, and all like whatever.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
And so, yeah, he used to come in and like
you know, they've you know, he's he's been really underwhelming
as a quarter In fact, you could you would argue
he's been like one of the worst Browns quarterbacks that
have been there since he's been there, you know, and
there's been there's been several like even the ones that
were there prior outplayed him, you know, like Joe Flacco
was better, Baker Mayfield was better. Like you could argue

(20:57):
Josh Dobbs has had better moments and he was with
the Rods at one point.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Like there's just you know, just hasn't been good.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
But why would he care if he's got two hundred
and thirty million dollars guaranteed.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Why would he care? Like all these.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
Contracts you see being signed, Trevor Lawrence, like Tua Jordan Love,
all these Like Deshaun Watson's laughing at those guys. I
got two thirty guaranteed coming my way. I've got an
MBA contract, I've got a Major League Baseball contract, and
at the same time, I've got like sixty massage therapists

(21:36):
who claim assault. I was suspended eleven games. I'm fortunate
enough to be playing, and yet going into twenty twenty four,
He's like, Yeah, I don't give two f's honestly, don't care,
just don't care so much.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
So I'm talking to the third person. He's over it, man,
he's done with the apology. He's he's done.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
Feeling bad about you know whatever, and he's done feeling
bad about his poor play.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
He's done with it. I don't care is.

Speaker 4 (22:05):
What it is, don't care what you think anymore. Officially,
sick and tired of it. And if we're gonna be
honest about it, we probably should be over it too.
Like we should probably you know, stop bringing up like
it is what it is, like you know, You may
not like that term. It's kind of a lazy term.

(22:29):
But the fact of the matter is, no matter what
he did in his past, none of that matters at all.
It didn't matter to the NFL clearly. It definitely didn't
matter the Cleveland Browns clearly, otherwise they wouldn't have given
him the contract. And it clearly doesn't matter to Deshaun Watson,

(22:54):
otherwise he wouldn't be so eh eh, whatever, Listen, I'm
gonna do what I do. You don't like me, don't
like me, tough balls and do what I do. I
don't really care what anybody thinks. And that's something I
think we all can relate to. If you're a guy,
you've been in the doghouse before and you know the stages.

(23:15):
You know what they are.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
There's the.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
Denying it, then there's the accepting it. Then there's the apology.
Then there's the begging, Then there's the groveling. Then there's
the just let it be, and then there's the effort.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Is what it is.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
Deshaun Watson's at that stage as he gets ready for
the twenty twenty four season. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio.

(24:22):
trend in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
That'll be yours here on FSR. But for all the
latest from around the.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
World of sports, make some noise for a man who
has the Olympics covered like nobody else.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
Oh, I don't want and only Brian Jonas.

Speaker 10 (24:35):
Whylet you tell people about your Olympic progress in Hackey
Sack that you made it pretty far right, did not
did not.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
Did not, definitely did not, never played, never owned a
Hackey sack. I'm not much fun like I know you
always told me you were more of a sack guy.
I'm not, you know, I was more of a I
was more of a ball guy byself.

Speaker 10 (24:54):
Oh you know, I was in the backfield a lot,
so I was a football player off the line. So sure,
yeah as a past ride, sure so, Jonas, I take
that as a compliment by okay.

Speaker 4 (25:03):
Hey, by the way, how about Brian Finley. Anybody follow
Brian Finley on Twitter? If you do, you shouldn't if
you don't keep doing it.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
But Brian Finley made the stop by to see Chris
Brussard and his good friends in TV at FS one.

Speaker 10 (25:18):
It was wonderful and just about everywhere we walked when
we were in downtown New York, everybody was stopping Chris
and they were with all of the There was this
one scene, Jonas, where we were walking up a sidewalk
and there were dudes with one hundred dollars bills, you know,
crumpled up in their hands, throwing dice, kind of like
the things that you do when you're not working. And

(25:39):
one guy flags down Chris as we're walking to the
train station and he goes, man, Chris, I gotta tell you,
Bronnie James sucks. So they everybody that just a lot
of people that ran down Chris in New York. They
were all trashing Bronnie James, and then another guy said, hey, Chris,
I loved you the other day on first take, and

(26:01):
I'm like, yeah, I don't think that's the same show.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
So yeah, you know, I mean, listen, that's unfortunate. You know,
you hate when that happens. But you know, I'm sure
you were there to make everything feel less awkward.

Speaker 10 (26:11):
Yeah, yeah, because I'm never awkward at all with these
conversations with you.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
But by the way, I haven't seen Brusard in a
couple of years. I think the last time I saw
him was at Super Bowl in Arizona. Was I think
the last time I saw him. Yeah, because he was
out in LA for part of the time, and now
because he does the TV show and he just stays
on the East Coast permanently.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
I think he lives in Jersey if I'm at the
stadium that he does.

Speaker 11 (26:36):
Yeah, and his wife, by the way.

Speaker 10 (26:38):
He's a great guy, and his wife is a doctor,
so obviously she has a major setup there in that area.

Speaker 11 (26:44):
And yeah, he was a man of his word.

Speaker 10 (26:46):
Like we went out had coffee and he paid, not
that it was that expensive, but then yeah, we watched
the taping of his show and got to watch you know,
Kevin Wilds and his teammate and Nick Wright. First things first,
along with Chris Bruce and those guys have a good
thing going, just like you guys do. Or what's that
show that you do? I can't remember the three clowns
that are on it? Two Joe's and a cup of

(27:07):
bro or what is that?

Speaker 2 (27:10):
I know what you're talking about.

Speaker 11 (27:11):
Yeah, what is Neo's on that show?

Speaker 2 (27:13):
Yeah, it's weekdays like playing aren't familiar like the Morning
Zoos show?

Speaker 11 (27:16):
Is that what?

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Yeah, it's uh, what is it? It's on It's on
like primetime morning drive, so you wouldn't be familiar with it.
It's oh yeah, two pros and a cup of joe
I think is what you're trying to say.

Speaker 11 (27:26):
You know what's nice about that show is that it
is what is nice?

Speaker 2 (27:30):
You don't get asked to fill in anymore? Is that
what's nice about it?

Speaker 11 (27:34):
That it's on afternoon drive in Zimbabwe?

Speaker 4 (27:38):
Hey at you family, We're not worried about Zimbabwe. And
by the way, shout out to people listening in Zimbabwe
on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
I'm sorry that.

Speaker 4 (27:45):
Brian Finley is trying to judge you and your communication abilities.

Speaker 10 (27:48):
I'm just saying it's a worldwide show. Everybody's interested in it,
from worldwide shows to the worldwide games. You see what
I did there showing it's the ah.

Speaker 9 (27:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (27:58):
The Olympics are going on and we're watching Team USA
and men's soccer just emasculate New Zealand right now is
just putting a hurtin on New Zealand. It's four nil
with the seventy third minute right now in the second half,
the Americans scoring three goals in the first half. Coming
up tomorrow, it's the first game for Men's Olympics for

(28:19):
the hoops squad for Team USA, and we might be
down a couple of guys, as Steve Kerr, head coach
for the team, saying that Anthony Davis might not be
a part of that one because of an illness. Sam
could be said for Joel Embiide. So this is a
game on Sunday against Serbia. Nicole jokicch of course, will
be a part of that one as well. In equestrian

(28:40):
team eventing, right now, we're walking, we're following equestrian here
in the newsroom, and Great Britain is ranked first.

Speaker 4 (28:49):
Also going on questions fun horse racing without gambling and steroids.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Ooh buddy, what a good time.

Speaker 10 (28:56):
Yeah, oh, you're saying the use steroids and horse racing.

Speaker 9 (29:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 11 (29:02):
You should see what happens in Yeah, you should see
what happens in those stables. I've seen it.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
Yeah, I have to. You're always blindfolded for some reason.

Speaker 8 (29:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (29:13):
Those those poor guys, those poor jockeys.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
Can we just be a couple of professionals here, but
on Saturday, I'm trying to be a pro and you're
steering me down at the ditch here.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
I refuse to take this anymore.

Speaker 10 (29:25):
No, yeah, exactly. We're talking handball as well. You're talking
about this obviously, you're big fan. Germany is leading in
the second half thirty to twenty seven against Sweden women's
field hockey. The Americans, I don't know what's going on
with them right now. They are losing too nothing to
Argentina that is in the third quarter currently. And lastly,
table tennis women's singles. This is the round of sixty four.

(29:49):
We've got Romania's Elizabeta Samara and she is taking on
Ukraine's Solomina and Braeiko. They are into a fifth game,
a deciding fifth game, and yeah it's nine to seven.
Of course, Jonas, as you know, they played to eleven
points win by two. So which two sets a piece?

Speaker 2 (30:07):
I have bry Reika minus four and a half in
that game.

Speaker 11 (30:11):
Jill, you are such a degenerate.

Speaker 10 (30:13):
And you mentioned this and guys been talking about this
as well, that Lamar Jackson is back of practice today,
the Ravens quarterback, after missing the last four practices with
an illness. And then at the very end here I
did want to mention this, the Canada women's soccer coach
Bev Priestman is going to be suspended for a year.
Her team is docked six points during these Olympics on

(30:35):
allegations that Canada used a drone to play peeping Tom
on an opponent's private practice. So I know you're very
familiar with drones and using them for for whatever you
need to do.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
This okay, Like we're really going to punish people for trying?
Like is that the example? Is that the message you
want to send to our kids, like whatever you do,
don't try, Like I mean, what are we gonna do next?

Speaker 4 (31:03):
Like not allow like Barry Bonds and some others in
the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
Like, it's just disgusting, man.

Speaker 11 (31:08):
Yeah, I'm with you, disgusting.

Speaker 4 (31:09):
Same with Pete Rose. Can Mike Guy Pete Rose finally
get in the Hall of Fame? I mean sports gamblings everywhere?
So what if he bet on a couple of teams
that he might have managed.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Big deal.

Speaker 11 (31:18):
Yeah, I didn't know who he was. Your guy either,
That's the new thing for me.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
Ros Well.

Speaker 4 (31:23):
And by the way, there's a common denominator, Andy Furman,
Fox Sports Radio Legends. Well an acquaintance of yours. Andy
Furman is actually might be the reason Pete Rose got
into gambling, because Furman ran all those horse tracks and
Pete Rose used to come by there and bet on
the ponies.

Speaker 11 (31:38):
So Andy Furman also wears shorts.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
Give me a salami submarine.

Speaker 11 (31:42):
I've never seen a guy do this before.

Speaker 10 (31:44):
He wears shorts down to his ankles and their cargo shorts.

Speaker 11 (31:47):
That's Andy Furman for you.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
You gotta have you gotta have some place to put
all his envelopes and stamps man like he does extra pockets.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
It's how it works.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
Yeah, there he is the great Brian Finily here just
insulting his way through. Another update on Fox Sports Radio,
Jonas Knox with you here on FSR. Coming up in
we'll call it. About ten minutes from now, we're gonna
have another edition of Do You Care. We're gonna give
you the brutal truth about several storylines in the world
of sports over the past several days. That'll be yours
here again about ten minutes from now from the Tirak

(32:16):
dot com studio. So apparently there's this trend. I didn't
even know this was a trend, all right. I wasn't
aware that this was a thing. But apparently, like starting
quarterbacks haven't played in a Hall of Fame game since
Teddy Bridgewater back in twenty fifteen. Apparently that's a thing,

(32:37):
you know, because the feeling is, well, you haven't been
practicing a camp that long. Do you really want to
throw them in there in a game situation? It's a
little reckless, a little dangerous whatever.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
And so I say that because there's still.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
Some discussion and the latest that I saw again, this
could have changed. They could have, you know, decided post
practice today or whatever they decide that you know that
Caleb Williams, they have not decided whether or not he's
going to play in the Hall of Fame game. Now

(33:09):
you look at it and you go, well, big whoop.
You know, it's just the Hall of Fame game. You know,
it's about getting him to the season. It's about getting
him out there and getting him healthy. And you know,
like why a risk it? But it's like, don't you
want to like take it out for a spin, even
for a couple of plays. You know, Like I understand

(33:32):
that there's risk, but there's also risk in every preseason game.
There's risk in every practice, there's risk in every game.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
I'm assuming the field.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
Isn't melting like it was years ago when the Packers
are trying to do a preseason game where they had
to call it because like there was tar coming up
through the field and Canton. I'm assuming they've gotten that fixed.
I'm assuming. I don't want to assume too much, but
I'm assuming they did. But like if you're Matt Eberflus
and he's saying, well, we're still undecided. We're going to

(34:02):
decide on Tuesday whether or not Caleb Williams is going
to play in the Hall of Fame game, that to
me says that he's probably not playing. I mean, I
don't know why they wouldn't just say that now, but
that to me says that they're not playing. But if
you're ebra flus, you know, take it up for a
spin one series. Let everybody see it, right, This is

(34:24):
the guy that's literally going to determine whether or not
you are the head coach moving forward, and whether or
not the front office stays intact, and whether or not
this team is going to be successful moving forward. He's
the guy, So why not let everybody see it just
for a minute.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
You know, it's like that.

Speaker 4 (34:41):
Nice car that you're afraid to ride out or take
out of the Like, why not like that great pair
of shoes, you're afraid to get him dirty, so you'll
wear him around the house, you know, just like, hey,
we got carpeting here, so I'll wear him there. I
don't want to take but at least you took him out,
you tried them on. You let him see a little
bit of light, Like why not give us a little something,
give us something that we can look at and go okay,

(35:03):
that gives us an interest to wanting to tune in.
You're gonna spike the ratings. Everybody's gonna be happy about it.
So like I understand that this is a theme and
a trend that I wasn't even aware of as of
a couple of days ago, that starting quarterbacks just don't
play in the Hall of Fame game. But if you're
mad Ebra Flues, come on, man, just one series, two
series at most. You know injuries can always happen, and

(35:24):
just let everybody see what all the hype is about.
Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio at the Jonas Knocks
on Twitter. Coming up next here from the tire rack
dot Com studios. It's another edition of do You Care?
A Saturday tradition right here on FSR. Jonas Knox Fox
Sports Radio coming up top of next hour a little

(35:49):
NFL does what they do. We will get into that

Speaker 1 (36:22):
There are so many stories in the world of sports,
and most of them are a complete waste of time.
Dmzer reports, let's get kinky. Here's some of the big
stories from the last week. But Jonas, the real question
is do you care?

Speaker 4 (36:37):
And for that we turn it over to our executive producer,
Bo Benson to find out what the hell people have
been talking about all week.

Speaker 12 (36:42):
Bo, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. They have led WNBA
players to a one thousand increase in merchandise sales. Probably
I guess about six hundred percent of that is Iowa Sam.
But Jonas, do you care?

Speaker 2 (36:59):
No? But I will say this the reason why I fight.
I don't care.

Speaker 4 (37:03):
I mean because I mean I don't only any WNBA
merchandise and I never will. But like the reason why,
and that's no slight like it just whatever. But it's
just so funny how people have tried, especially Caitlin Clark,
how people haven't been You should be welcoming her with
open arms, like you should be so like, I mean,

(37:26):
roll out the red carpet, because whatever she's getting, you're
going to get some of that as well too.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
Like if you're a player that's been in that.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
League for a long time and you've been struggling to
get notoriety and all that, it's finally here.

Speaker 2 (37:40):
Why shade that at all?

Speaker 4 (37:42):
And it feels like there are some play Like I
think Diana Tarassi even said not that long ago, like
she kind of backtracked on some of her comments she made.
I think even she realized, there's, oh wait a second,
this is a win for all of us. Like, whatever
she is, whatever she turns out to be, this is
a win for all of us. It's just funny to
see how petty and how against the push for her

(38:02):
has been.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
From other people in the league that would benefit from it.

Speaker 12 (38:05):
Next, Vikings quarterback JJ McCarthy told reporters that he's focused
on the process of learning the NFL game, not necessarily
winning the Vikings starting quarterback job.

Speaker 9 (38:15):
So Jonas, do you care.

Speaker 2 (38:16):
No, not really listen.

Speaker 4 (38:17):
I'm actually kind of curious to see Sam Donald actually
get a full shot, a full go with Kevin O'Connell
with Justin Jefferson like, I'm curious to see how that looks,
I mean, and then you know, you get the report
that came out earlier this week from Kevin Seaford of ESPN,
where he said that, you know, the Vikings basically told
Kirk Cousins, look, we want you back, but we are

(38:39):
planning on drafting a quarterback, but he's not going to start.
We want you to be the starter, and kirk Cousins like, nah,
I don't want to be in that situation.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
Oops.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
Then he gets to Atlanta, it's the exact same situation,
except he wasn't told about it in advance. So it
will be interesting to see how that quarterback battle shapes up.
I think it's going to be Sam Donald who wins
the job, and I'm curious to see how he looks
with that better offense around him.

Speaker 12 (39:02):
Next, Charles Barkley told our very own Dan Patrick that
he may may actually, in fact be open to a
non T and T sports job.

Speaker 9 (39:10):
Jonas, do you care?

Speaker 2 (39:12):
Yeah, of course, look and everybody should care.

Speaker 4 (39:14):
And wherever he goes, he's going to be the highest
paid analyst that we've ever seen.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
Like he's a superstar.

Speaker 4 (39:23):
He's one of the all time greats of the gig
More Charles Barkley is better for everybody else, So hopefully
he lands on his feet somewhere next.

Speaker 12 (39:30):
Speaking of, Warner Brothers, in fact filed suit against the
NBA over the loss of those media rightes, alleging that
the league breached contract by declining its offer for a
new media rights deal in going with Amazon instead. So, Jonas,
do you care?

Speaker 2 (39:43):
No, I don't care. Done with this story?

Speaker 4 (39:45):
I really I hate this it seems to me. And
there's all these different theories that are out there. Well,
you know, did the NBA where they tired of, you know,
the the NBA on TNT show getting more love than
their actual games, And so the NBA went around behind
its back like only the NBA would figure out a
way to screw this relationship up. And look, some of

(40:05):
the blame has got to go on on Warner Brothers Discovery,
because they might have drugged their feet a little bit
on on what they were willing to do or what
they're and you know, the willing to match and the
streaming and everything that came along with it. Maybe they
needed to look a little bit further into the future
to realize this was a possibility. But the whole thing's
a fiasco. It's a disaster. TNT's got one more year

(40:25):
of it, so let's enjoy it for the final year
and then see what happens after that.

Speaker 12 (40:29):
Next, Deadpool and Wolverine released in theaters yesterday. With it
there's a new popcorn bucket. It's a Wolverine's open mouth, Jonas.
This thing was selling like crazy when I went to
see the movie.

Speaker 9 (40:43):
Uh do you care?

Speaker 2 (40:47):
No, I don't like here. What was the one that
you got?

Speaker 4 (40:52):
What was the sandworm? And this one's Wolverine's mouth.

Speaker 2 (40:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (40:59):
Yeah, it's just a big old Yeah.

Speaker 4 (41:01):
There's a lot of people that got fetishes out there.
One of them used to coach the Jets. He was
really in defeat. And I'm not saying this would happen,
but I just feel like some people are gonna use
these for things other than popcorn. All right, And I'll
just leave it at that. Hour two is next.

Speaker 9 (41:16):
If I touch them is little kid to touch them again?

Speaker 4 (41:20):
So we might finally know why somebody in the NFL
does what they do. This has kind of been speculated,
we've all kind of kicked it around they might have
given confirmation to it. We will have that for you
here coming up in just a couple of moments from now,
Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (41:36):
You can listen to us here on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 4 (41:38):

(42:00):
a protection at over ten thousand recommended installers, tire rack
dot com the way tire buying should be. So we
were talking about this earlier, the big news out of
the NFL yesterday. Tua Tagovailoa first, Jordan Love's second. Both
get their deals done and they're both represented by the
same agency, so it kind of they work together on it.

(42:22):
You know, there's a reason why they look very similar
as far as both four year deals. Jordan Love got
a little bit more money, but nonetheless, they both get
their deals done. That was the big talking point, big conversation,
and so one of the discussions that has been had
in the NFL over years and years and years is well,
you know, if you finally have to pay your quarterback,
it kind of hurts and your ability to add elsewhere.

(42:44):
And so Packers GM Brian Gudukunsk spoke with the media
earlier today following the signing of Jordan Love and had
this to.

Speaker 5 (42:53):
Say, whenever you have these big contracts, there's some challenges
that We've dealt with that pretty much, you know for
the past I don't know how many, however many years,
so that's part of it. But I would rather be
dealing with this challenge and some others, so you know,
that's that'll be part of it. It'll be important that
we continue to draft well and make good decisions along
the way. But you know, having that position stable and
a guy who we know can perform at a high level,

(43:13):
I'll take that every day.

Speaker 4 (43:15):
Yeah, which is the smart play on this. You know, Listen,
like I understand the commitment financially, I understand all that,
but I'd rather have this and know I've got my guy.
Then you know, have a more have more room.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
In the cap and not know I have a guy.

Speaker 4 (43:31):
So like Brian, you know, he's being you know, very
realistic about it and he's taken the smart approach. He
understands what he has and he doesn't want to lose it.

Speaker 2 (43:40):
So then you know, you figure, okay, well that's how
everybody should think. And then you start looking around the
NFL and you go, let's see Trevor Lawrence was in
line for a contract, he got it done. Jordan Love
was in line for a contract, he got it done.
To a tug of I Lowe was in line for
a contract, they got it done. Who am I missing? Oh,

(44:05):
that's right.

Speaker 4 (44:06):
Dak Prescott. Dak Prescott's in line for a contract, still
not done. And so you look at it and you go,
why is there always this common theme with the Cowboys?
Have you ever noticed that? Like, you could go all
the way back to Emmett Smith's holdout that went into

(44:27):
the season. That one was bad, but you would figure, well,
you probably learn your lesson. You don't want the stuff
to drag on. You want to get this knocked out
pretty quick if you could. And then you like go
all these years later and it was Ezekiel Elliott that
drug on. Remember he was in Cabo who was working
out with Eric Dickerson. But he finally got the deal done,

(44:49):
and then it was well, you know, it's Dak Prescott
finally gonna get his deal.

Speaker 2 (44:53):
But he ended up getting it done.

Speaker 4 (44:55):
Like it just there's always some discussion, and now you've
got like multiple content being discussed. You've got Dak Prescott,
You've got Michaeh Parsons, you've got Ceedee Lamb, you've got
Mike McCarthy, and it.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
Just feels like it's always the cowboys.

Speaker 4 (45:14):
Like it feels like like the cowboys just kind of
like doing this, like they kind of like this, like
it's almost like it's their thing, it's what they do.

Speaker 2 (45:23):
And then you start.

Speaker 4 (45:24):
To like peel back the layers to it, and you go,
if it happens this many times in a row, it
can't just be an accident, right, Like, it can't just
be well, look, I mean this is just the way.
You know, it broke this way for us, and it
broke that way for us, and you know, listen, this
is just the way this works.

Speaker 2 (45:43):
I mean for some.

Speaker 4 (45:44):
Reason, No, no, no, no, Like there's got to be something
more to this discussion.

Speaker 2 (45:48):
There's got to be something more to it.

Speaker 4 (45:50):
And so when you hear Jerry Jones, who says publicly
this week when asked about the criticism of the Cowboys,
and Jerry Jones says, quote, I realize all the criticism,
and I understand it. As a matter of fact. I

(46:11):
try to stir it up and I have since I
got here. That's good, be relevant.

Speaker 2 (46:16):
It works.

Speaker 4 (46:19):
When you hear those comments, that leads me to believe, oh,
this is just the way they like doing it. Because
Jerry Jones probably looks at it like this. Yeah, so
I may have to end up paying a little bit
more for the players in order to keep them. But
you know what, that's a lot more eyeballs, a lot
more discussion, a lot more conversation, and all of it

(46:41):
is surrounding my.

Speaker 2 (46:42):
Guys, all of it.

Speaker 4 (46:45):
I wonder if there's part of Jerry Jones that looks
and says, I don't like the fact that Dak Prescott's
name was being discussed with Jordan Lovin two, Takobailoa, and
Trevor Lawrence. We'll wait, We're going to be the last one.
We're going to announce ours live that'll be the one
everybody remembers. And you know what, he's not wrong, Like, yeah,

(47:10):
they wait a little bit too long to get these
deals done. But maybe it is intentional. Maybe, as he says,
I try and stir it up. I have since I
got here. Maybe that's all part of this. Maybe he
looks at it while everyone said, like the smart play
from a financial standpoint. Contractually, I don't want to say

(47:31):
business because anybody who wants to question Jerry Jones from
a business standpoint has no idea what the hell they're
talking about. He's got it, he's got it good, he's good,
don't worry about it.

Speaker 2 (47:40):
He's fine.

Speaker 4 (47:42):
But like the smart play would be, oh, get these
deals done sooner rather than later, like don't like you
don't want this to drag on anymore, Like look at Buffalo.
Josh Allen is like way down the list on top
paid quarterbacks in the NFL because Buffalo is like, now
we recognize he's our guy. Let's knock it out now,
we don't have to worry about it later. Let's just
get it done, like they wanted to get it done

(48:04):
out of the way finished, Like that would be the
smart play.

Speaker 2 (48:09):
Jerry Jones is like, nah, I'll wait this one out.
We'll wait this one out.

Speaker 4 (48:15):
Yeah, but Jerry, it's gonna cost you like X amount
of dollars more if you wait. That's all right, cause
we're getting x amount of views, X amount of clicks,
X amount of conversations.

Speaker 2 (48:25):
Like we're getting all that.

Speaker 4 (48:29):
There's a reason why when him and Stephen Jones were
talking yesterday and they were asked about, you know, how
the Cowboy fans and season ticket holders feel about the team,
they basically said, oh, yeah, our renewal rate was like
the fastest it's ever been. They're not going anywhere. Cowboy
fans aren't going anywhere, Like the coverage of the Cowboys

(48:51):
isn't going anywhere. You crazy because Jerry Jones knows how
to keep them as part of the conversation always. I
think part of him looks at it and says, no,
this is good for us. Like one of the stories
that came out earlier today was that, well, you know,
new contract proposals have been sent over to cd LAMB

(49:14):
and sent over over to Dak Prescott's representatives. They might
have changed one line and all that. You know, what
they were worried about whether or not that was going
to get reported on and guess what it did, and
it'll be talked about on Monday. Turn on a television,
turn on, Hey is DAC next? New proposals being sent over.

(49:38):
None of it means anything. He has a sign a contract,
but the conversation's still there. And so when everybody says, man,
the Cowboys have this way of doing business, it's so
weird and so odd. It's so different from everybody else. Yeah,
and whatever they're doing is working. It's why they're the
most valuable franchise in all of sports. Whatever they're doing

(49:59):
is working, like super Bowl wins, playoff wins, But that's
just a bonus. That's like, you know, cherry on top
of the Sunday it's cool, looks good, nice little garnish
on the plate. It doesn't really matter, Like we're good,
We'll be fine. I mean, think about the teams that

(50:21):
have won Super Bowls recently, Chiefs, Rams, like you name it, like,
think about them. All of them pale in comparison to
the amount of coverage of Dallas Cowboys have gotten. Christ
The Chiefs had tailors Swift on their side, and I
would argue the Cowboys got more coverage than them, and
they got manhandled at home in a playoff game. Like

(50:48):
whatever we want to say about the Jones family and
their contractual tactics and their methods and whatever they're I'm
at the point where when I hear Jerry Jones say
I like to stir the pot, I try to.

Speaker 2 (51:01):
I have since I got here. I think this is
all part of it.

Speaker 4 (51:04):
He's willing to pay more because he wants the coverage.
He wants to be last. He wants his guy to
be the last one paid, so that the conversation goes
on and on and on. I said it last hour.
I've said it before. One of the big discussions during
COVID was Dax's contract extension.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
You don't think Jerry Jones was sitting somewhere.

Speaker 4 (51:26):
With an N ninety five mask on going got him, guys,
We got him nothing going on.

Speaker 2 (51:32):
Don't worry, we'll take it from here. He wants all this.

Speaker 4 (51:38):
So when you take back and you kind of look
at what the comments are and what he says, you realize, oh,
that's what all this is about. Jerry Jones wants this
sort of attention. They want the coverage, they want the
notoriety will pay more down the road. But it's all
going to come back to us, because we're the ones
everybody's talking about right now. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio,
at the Jonas Knox on Twitter at Jonas Knocks on Twitter.

(52:03):
Some very positive feedback tweets coming into the show. David
writes in, you woke patriotic bleep, put on your bleep
hat and go rooting for Team USA in the bleep Olympics.

(52:25):
Like the fraudster bleep.

Speaker 1 (52:27):
You are.

Speaker 4 (52:29):
Having a watch party for every event, you bleep. Tony
writes in, you kermit mahomes bitch boy, get back to
being outraged and livid about your beloved frog being disrespected
and you want to revenge on the trash ass nevadaators,

(52:49):
you f boy. Paul writes in nothing has Judas Knox
salivating like a perv in heat. Like all these beefcake
flavor studs from all over the world in Paris, and
they're little tights as you bleep to their bleeps gyrating.

(53:19):
Chris writes in you're still on Fox Radio. They're real
slow learners. Judas Knox writes in, hey, three thumbs, get
back to watching that San Diego security guard conducting handball
practice and stop your weak board op takes Aaron rights in, Jonas,

(53:48):
you're clearly addicted to vinegar and water, since you are
clearly the biggest d bag on Saturday Sports Radio and
you specialize in lukewarm overnight board op takes on the
NFL at the Jonas Knox on Twitter. That is, at
the Jonas Knox on Twitter or x. If you would
like to see the unedited versions of all of those,

(54:10):
well most of them. One of them am not going
to retweet. Some graphic graphic pictures in there I will
not be a part of, but again those are yours
there via social media. Coming up next here though, from
the ti rack dot com studios, we're gonna tell you
about what has turned into a very interesting division to

(54:32):
watch when it comes to quarterback play, and that's yours
here on FSR.

Speaker 2 (54:38):
Jonas is count it today.

Speaker 4 (54:40):
Jonas Knox, Fox Sports Radio, come it up in about
ten minutes from now from the tire rack dot Com Studios,
you're going to talk about motivation. I'm just gonna present
I'm just gonna present something to you in about ten
minutes from now, probably a little bit longer than that
because Brian Finley won't shut up, but it probably a

(55:02):
little longer than that. I'm going to present something to
you and i just want you to tell me whether
or not this will get you motivated. Right, So that'll
be yours here coming up in a little over ten
minutes from now from the tire raq dot com studio. So,
Deshaun Watson spoke with the media training camp. You know,
we played a little bit of that earlier. You can
listen to the to that previous step on the podcast.

(55:25):
But he also did say sort of where he's at
going into this season, sort of what what his his
mindset is when it comes to his third year with
the Browns, with obviously everybody waiting to get some results.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
He hasn't been on.

Speaker 4 (55:40):
The field, there's been injuries, the play hasn't been all
that great.

Speaker 2 (55:44):
Here was the Browns quarterback.

Speaker 3 (55:47):
Honestly, it's really just you know, blocking out all the
books honestly. Outside you know, it was tough coming in
to you. It's different environment, different you know, different team,
different all that. So you know, you come in and
you know your character's been you know, you mentioned this
way and then you know it kind of flip on
you and biggest saying you're trying to, you know, get

(56:09):
people to like you or improved. But now it's like,
you know, at the end of the day, it's two
years in and if you don't you know, like me,
or you have your own opinions, then forget it is
what it is, you know. So I think blocking out
all the noise and focusing on me and focusing on
what I need to do to be the best Deshaun
Watson I could be for myself, my family, and my teammates.

Speaker 4 (56:30):
So it's kind of a weird year if you think
about it. No, I mean, look for Deshaun Watson, he's
already gotten his money. He's fine whatever. Like if they
decide that, well, you know this isn't working out, okay, cool,
you still got to pay him. Like Jameis Winston is
the backup there, maybe he gets an opportunity. There was
a report that came out Mary Kay Cabot of you
know who cover has been covering the Browns for a

(56:50):
long time, who said, look, they won't be shy about
turning it over to Jameis Winston if Deshaun Watson struggles again.

Speaker 2 (56:58):
So you've got that that's sort of been it.

Speaker 4 (56:59):
I think that's part of the motivation, you know, and
him sort of just being And I made this point earlier,
he's done being in the doghouse, Like he's done with it,
Like and everybody gets to that point to where you're
apologetic for only for so long and then it's like,
all right, I'm over feeling bad about myself and feeling
bad about the situation. Like I got to move on
and either you can move on or we can't. And

(57:20):
that's sort of where he's at when it comes to
this year. And then you got like some of the
other quarterback situations going on, right, so you know, like
Lamar Jackson, he returned to practice, but man, he's sick
a lot, you know what I said, Like there seems
to always be something with Lamar Jackson. And look, somebody

(57:41):
told me, you know, somebody who is kind of in
the know said to me, you know, and I don't
want to, you know, say who this was, but they
just said that. You know, there's been some questions there.

Speaker 2 (57:54):
About you know, Lamar and his diet. You know, maybe he.

Speaker 4 (57:57):
Doesn't need the best stuff. Maybe you know, you tried
to lose too much weight this offseason, like there's just
there's some stuff there when it comes to to Lamar Jackson.
From my understanding, and whether or not that's true, I
have no idea, but that's at least some of the speculation.
But you know, the way last season ended and how
that went in that playoff game, all of a sudden,

(58:20):
even coming off the MVP season, there is this feeling
of like, well, what's this going to look like? And
they added Derrick Henry and they're gonna be loaded, and
they're gonna be a lot of fun to watch. I mean,
they've got like five hundred pounds you know, in the
back over five hundred pounds in the backfield when it
comes to Patrick Riccard and Derrick Henry and all that.
So they're gonna be a lot of fun to watch.

(58:41):
But there is some conversations about it. You go to
Pittsburgh and you've got Russell Wilson who's dealing with some
calf issue. He's currently working out on the field with
the Steelers, trying to get ready to see if he
can go and perform today.

Speaker 2 (58:57):
But then you've got justin fields.

Speaker 4 (58:58):
There and it's like, Okay, well that seems like we're
off to a bit of a rocky start there as
well too, And then you've got Joe Burrow and we
don't know how he's going to come.

Speaker 2 (59:10):
Back from what last year was.

Speaker 4 (59:12):
Like everything that I've heard from Joe Burrow this offseason
leads me to believe that there's at least some concern
like that that it's somebody who saw their own mortality
flash before their very eyes, and maybe they're starting to
question exactly how this is going to go, Like maybe
they're not entirely sure what's going to happen with them
and what's going to happen with their body moving forward.

(59:34):
I mean, Joe Burrow's had a lot of injuries, Like
it's like it's piling up.

Speaker 2 (59:40):
Year after year.

Speaker 4 (59:41):
Something happens, whether it was the knee he had something
removed last year, he had like like there were you know,
he had the calf issue before the season last year,
and then it led to something like there just seems
like there's always something so well, I would acknowledge, and
I think while everybody would say, well, what's the best
division and most competitive division in the NFL, you would

(01:00:02):
look around the league and go.

Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
Oh, it's the AFC North.

Speaker 4 (01:00:05):
It's why when HBO and Hard Knocks is doing this
in season version. You know, they want to focus on
the AFC North, But then if you look around the NFL,
like how many other divisions have as many question marks
at quarterback going into the season than the AFC North does.

(01:00:26):
Like you just like go around the league. I mean,
everybody's got a question mark going into the year. But man,
Baltimore's got a quarterback who's always sick. Cincinnati's got a
quarterback coming off an injury, Pittsburgh's got two quarterbacks, one
of them is already injured. Cleveland's got a quarterback and

(01:00:46):
he's a weirdo and is done taking accountability and feeling
bad about things. It just feels like there's a lot
going on there in the AFC North. Look, and I've
said this before, I like Cincinnati to win. I think
Baltimore is going to take a step back. That's just
my gut feeling. I'll take Cincinnati to win. But even
in saying that, man, you just you hear the way
Joe Burrow talks. You hear the comments he's made, and

(01:01:09):
I wonder if it's gonna take him a little bit
before he's able to feel right or feel comfortable fully
comfortable that he can be the same player, and who knows,
maybe he can't be the same player he was before.
I still think he's incredibly talented. I still think he's
a great quarterback, one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.
But for a division that everybody looks at is the best,
most competitive, there's a lot to be unsure about.

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
When it comes to the AFC North as we approach
this season.

Speaker 4 (01:01:35):

very strange motivation in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:02:54):
That is yours.

Speaker 4 (01:02:55):
But for all the latest, let's turn it over to
the wonderfully talented and never star casting.

Speaker 10 (01:03:01):
No never, Brian Fenley. Yeah, and I heard that shot
you took at me earlier in the segment. You said
something about how I won't stop talking. This is not
my show, this is the Jonas Knox Show. So how
dare you throw me under the bus like that?

Speaker 11 (01:03:13):
Jonas?

Speaker 4 (01:03:13):
That was taken out of context? Really, yeah, completely taken
out of context.

Speaker 11 (01:03:17):
Okay, so now you're canting the statement.

Speaker 4 (01:03:19):
Yeah, but you know what, I'm gonna pull out Deshaun Watson,
and I'm gonna say, you know what is what it is.

Speaker 2 (01:03:24):
I don't give two f's.

Speaker 4 (01:03:25):
How about that, right? I was gonna be apologetic Now
I'm over at Brian Finn. Okay, you're not gonna do
it anymore.

Speaker 11 (01:03:30):
You're not gonna do it.

Speaker 10 (01:03:31):
Yeah, I get you there, Well what we do have
and I don't think you're gonna be apologetic about this,
or maybe you will. One of the most anticipated contests
events here at the Olympics. And Jonas, keep in mind
that here at the newsroom at Fox Sports Radio, we
are following everything from canoeing to kayak to equestrian and

(01:03:51):
we even got a shout out from one of our listeners.
We got invited to partake in Fresno and do some
equestrian some more so you and I. A listener just
about fifteen to thirty minutes ago, tweeted at both of us.
It said, guys, you're invited to go horseback rodding, and Jonas,
I'm just.

Speaker 2 (01:04:10):
Hoping that both awesome.

Speaker 11 (01:04:12):
But you and I can be on the same horse.

Speaker 4 (01:04:15):
No, I mean no, but I and I know in
all seriousness though, I really do actually appreciate the invite.
Let me know what weekend works and I'll make sure
that I'm working, so go up to Fresno for equestrian Yeah,
your mind.

Speaker 12 (01:04:29):
You know what's crazy is apparently invite is a word
in Brian Finley's vocabulary.

Speaker 9 (01:04:34):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 4 (01:04:35):
Oh no, wait a second, hold on, let me let
me go ahead, hold on, hold on, hold on.

Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
Let me even piece this together. Did Bo not get
an invite to your wedding?

Speaker 11 (01:04:45):
Bo, I will say, said a very nice.

Speaker 12 (01:04:48):
That doesn't answer the question, though, Brian Finley.

Speaker 10 (01:04:53):
You were you never well, you never would have traveled
cross country?

Speaker 4 (01:04:57):
Do you have a child, don't don't do that, don't
do the whole well, you wouldn't have gone anyways. No, no, no,
did you invite Bo, who you work with every week
here to your wedding or not?

Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
Brian Finley, I.

Speaker 11 (01:05:10):
Did not.

Speaker 9 (01:05:13):
Get an invite.

Speaker 10 (01:05:14):
You should hear what those two guys say about me
when I'm not in the room.

Speaker 2 (01:05:17):
Hold on, okay, so let me get that.

Speaker 9 (01:05:19):
Absolutely nothing.

Speaker 4 (01:05:21):
So Chris Purfett didn't get an invite. Bo Benson didn't
get an invite, but Rob Parker got an invite.

Speaker 11 (01:05:29):
I've known Rob Longer.

Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
Okay, so basically you're a.

Speaker 4 (01:05:32):
Racists established Yeah, that that's basically.

Speaker 12 (01:05:37):
What was there was, Okay, that's why Rob went for me.

Speaker 8 (01:05:44):
Yeah, Rob would have eaten like at least for five
of us over there too.

Speaker 10 (01:05:49):
Well, you know what's awesome, that's a cost. You know
what Rob will do, And I think you learned what Jonas.
Rob will go to a fast food restaurant, he'll take
the cup, and then he'll go back to the fast
food restaurant the next day. Here's the same cup, go
to the soda fountain and get whatever he wants. And
I think Jonas, that was something that got that got
you through your teens.

Speaker 4 (01:06:10):
No, I mean I don't drink soda. Rob's a big
diet coke drinker. But you can try and steer this
conversation anyway you want to steer it. You've got two
people there in studio with you, Brian Finley, who wanted
an invite to your wedding, and you basically kicked them
both in the nuts and screw you.

Speaker 2 (01:06:24):
I don't like you because of your your race.

Speaker 9 (01:06:28):
I'm mad.

Speaker 10 (01:06:28):
I'm gonna go with it, says the guy who I
even invited you, And I gotta you know what to
the you know what, because you didn't even respond.

Speaker 11 (01:06:38):
You ghosted me Jonas because because I.

Speaker 4 (01:06:41):
Had a feeling you weren't going to invite Bow and Chris,
so I was comfortable with the whole thing.

Speaker 10 (01:06:47):
You guys could have all come together in the same car.

Speaker 4 (01:06:50):
I'm team Bow and Chris on this, all right. I
don't know what to tell you, like I'm team Bow
and Chris. The fact that you're gonna, you know, side
with Rob Parker, I think it's disgusting, but you know,
if you want to play this, that's how you want plate.

Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
I don't know what to tell you, man.

Speaker 10 (01:07:02):
Says the guy who's chewing on dip as he's doing
a show. Anyway, from that note, we'll dive right into
what's going on in the Olympics.

Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
And I love how awkward boy. You let me tell
you something.

Speaker 4 (01:07:14):
You throw a race pipe bomb into a conversation on radio.
That's how you clear the room. Good, let's get let's
get awkward here on a Saturday.

Speaker 10 (01:07:25):
Oh yeah, you should have seen me when I was
still dating. How awkward I was. Never got that second date.
Never could figure out why.

Speaker 2 (01:07:32):
You're married though, Get your mind away from it.

Speaker 10 (01:07:34):
I know it's my one week anniversary. Hell yeah, how
about that?

Speaker 2 (01:07:38):
It's all downhill from here.

Speaker 10 (01:07:39):
It's all downhill from here. And thanks again for taking
me up on the offer of being your your son's
godchild or God's father. Excuse me, I don't know if
that godchild wouldn't exactly work.

Speaker 11 (01:07:50):
I got it, And have we gotten even more awkward?

Speaker 10 (01:07:52):
I'm not sure, But anyway, I'm Kathyldecki right now, so
we're obviously Jonas in hour three will be hitting on this,
But k DECI. She had this four hundred meter freestyle
event at the Olympics and she ended up getting bronze.
So the American women swimmer finishing bronze in a hotly
contested event. Canada women's soccer, their head coach, Bev Priestman,

(01:08:15):
did something very unholy. Somebody might have gotten that suspended
for a year and her team is going to be
doc six points during these Olympics because she pulled the Jonas.

Speaker 11 (01:08:25):
What do I mean by that? She used a drone
and then went.

Speaker 10 (01:08:29):
And put it and they basically hovered over one of
the practices of one of their opponents to try and
get inside information. I swear she learned to do that
from you anyway, but you would do it for other things.

Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
I mean listen.

Speaker 4 (01:08:44):
If I could, I would have sent a drone and
attached Chris and Bow onto it over your wedding so
they could get.

Speaker 2 (01:08:49):
A peek at what was going on. So the only
way they'd get an invite.

Speaker 10 (01:08:51):
Apparently nobody wants to go to Long Island, New York.
That's such a long track, so I'm just giving them
the benefit of the doubt and then trying to save
them from the embarrassment of having to make that trip.

Speaker 11 (01:09:02):
Yeah, Paris Olympics.

Speaker 10 (01:09:04):
Other things that are going on, TEAMYUSA, men's volleyball, Jonas.

Speaker 11 (01:09:07):
This is pool.

Speaker 10 (01:09:08):
See not that you've ever been in a pool, although
if you have, people will see all the tattoos on
your upper body too.

Speaker 2 (01:09:14):
Pale man. Can't do it, can't do it.

Speaker 10 (01:09:17):
Yeah, twenty five to twenty was the first set over Argentina,
and they are early in the second. Said, Argentina has
the lead. We do know that men's soccer went USA's way.
They picked up the coveted three points with a four
to one beatdown of New Zealand. Also, table tennis is
going on, Jonas, and I guess I'll throw this back
at you here. Luka Maledovich from Luxembourg and this is out. Yeah,

(01:09:41):
so he got smoked today against Denmark's Jonathan Groth. Yeah,
it was a four gamer, and right now we are
into that fourth game. But Jonathan Groth is up two
games to one, so they're in the fourth game. This
is round of sixty four. By the way, Jonathan Groth,
keep up with that name.

Speaker 11 (01:10:00):
And lastly, field.

Speaker 10 (01:10:01):
Hockey Women's tournament here of course Netherlands in France. Netherlands
is up six to two. I know you're going to
be watching this one with you out with your son
in your lap. Six to two in the fourth quarter
is where they are there.

Speaker 4 (01:10:16):
Good stuff there. He is the great Brian Fenley. Listen
to a broadcast professional and a horrific human being based
on his uninviting two co workers that he spends every
Saturday with to his wedding. So we can try and
you know, put out all the sports scores we want.
The real score is Fendley two bow and Chris nothing

(01:10:36):
when it comes to invites to his wedding. That's the
real score we should pay attention to here on this show.

Speaker 11 (01:10:40):
I never score.

Speaker 4 (01:10:41):
Just an outrage coming up. We are going to have
the scraps. We'll close up shop here in about ten
minutes from now from the Tirak dot com studios with
things in the world of sports and beyond, we have
not had a chance to get to. I did want
to just kind of discuss something that has been for
some reason the topic of conversation and the NFL over
the past several days. So the Raiders brought out like

(01:11:05):
some Kermit the Frog doll and put the Mahomes wig
on it, and we're like poking fun at the way
he talks at training camp and all that.

Speaker 2 (01:11:14):
And so then.

Speaker 4 (01:11:16):
Patrick Mahomes of course was asked about it at Chiefs
training camp and he had this to say.

Speaker 2 (01:11:21):
Probably the video the writers with the market, Yeah you did.

Speaker 3 (01:11:25):
That's something that's you kind of our apartmentalized when you
used you getting ready to play them.

Speaker 2 (01:11:28):
Yeah, I met earlier in the year.

Speaker 1 (01:11:30):
Kind of stuff like that happens.

Speaker 9 (01:11:32):
He'll get handled. When it gets handled.

Speaker 4 (01:11:35):
I love how like people think that this is going
to be like extra motivation for Patrick Mahomes to want
to beat the Raiders, you know, like now you've really
done it. Look and listen certain things bother certain people.
Some people have thick skin and don't mind insults. Case
in point. Look at the tweets that I retweet. I

(01:11:57):
think they're funny. I don't mind them. That's okay.

Speaker 2 (01:12:01):
Some people get bothered by certain things.

Speaker 4 (01:12:03):
Everybody's got something that sort of irks them and also
something that gives them a little bit of motivation. Like
aman Ra Saint Brown has got the list of every
wide receiver drafted before him and he reads it every
single day as motivation, Like that's his motivation. Tom Brady
remembers being picked in the sixth round and being passed up.

(01:12:25):
That's his motivation, like he always remembered that. Do you
really think Patrick Mahomes, as he's getting ready to face
the Raiders twice this year, is going to be like
they dressed up a Kermit the Frog doll and made
it talk like me with a wig on, I'm gonna
go ahead and beat their ass, like seriously, Like that's
a real discussion, Like do you want to know why

(01:12:47):
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are gonna beat the Raiders
twice this year? Because the Chiefs are good and the
Raiders are probably gonna stink. That's why them dressing up
a muppet has zero to do.

Speaker 9 (01:13:00):
With any of this.

Speaker 4 (01:13:01):
Literally nothing yet for some reason, it carried a conversation
for two days. So congratulations goes back to my bigger
point earlier in the show. We are football addicts. It
doesn't matter what it is this time of year. We'll
take it as long as the NFL's given it. Jonas
Knox here on FSR up Next, we close up shop
with the Scraps right here on Fox Sports Radio. Jonas Knox,

(01:13:24):
Fox Sports Radio coming up top of next hour. A
little over twelve minutes from now from the tire Rack
dot Com studios, make sure you stick around. It's Alex
Curry and Carmen Vitally. They will have you covered all
sorts of conversation. We've got NFL training camp, we've got
the Olympics, you name it, they'll have it for you.

Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
Again.

Speaker 4 (01:13:42):
Little over ten minutes from now, stick around for Alex
and Karmen. Always a fun listen before we get to
another edition of the Scraps here on this show. Shortly
after we go off the air, our podcast will be
going up, so if you've missed any of it, be
sure to check out that podcast. You can search Fox
Sports Radio wherever you get your podcast. You can be
sure to also follow rate and review the pod again.

(01:14:05):
Just search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcast.
You'll see this show posted right after we get off
the air. I will also tweet out a link to
that as well too, or I'll exit out. Still sounds weird,
so I'll just keep saying tweet. But it's at the
Jonas Knox. At the Jonas Knox is where you can
find that. Right now, though, it's time we close up
shop with this, Jonas moron.

Speaker 1 (01:14:28):
How could you not get to these stories, you moron?

Speaker 2 (01:14:31):
These are the scraps, And for that.

Speaker 4 (01:14:34):
We turn it over to our executive producer, Bo Benzon
to find out what the hell we've missed so far.

Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
Bo.

Speaker 12 (01:14:39):
You know, last week, Mancy Belanios and I got caught
in a weird pickle because we were doing a segment
with Dan and Carrie and Joe Biden dropped out of
the presidential racer right then, and we weren't sure if
that was breaking news or not. I will say that,
according to Jeff Passing, Jazz Chisholm has been traded to
the Yankees from the Miami Marlins. So I don't know

(01:14:59):
if that's break news because it is the Marlins. But
there you go jazz. Chishom isn't now a member of
the Yankees. But that's got to be a really weird
feeling to go from the Marlin Marlins and the Yankees.

Speaker 4 (01:15:11):
Yeah, Like literally, you could walk down South Beach like
in full gear. It'd be like, where's the costume party?
If you're a Yankee, though, Like it is another level
of popularity and fame and everything that comes along with it.
So listen to the trade deadlines right around the corner.
By the way, it doesn't feel like and I don't
know if you feel the same way, but it doesn't

(01:15:33):
feel like we're going to get any blockbuster moves.

Speaker 12 (01:15:36):
Uh, Like yeah, like Terrek Scooball is not getting moved,
he's not getting traded. The Dodgers have to do something,
but who knows if they're really going to. But I
did like who's a crochet from the White Sox.

Speaker 9 (01:15:49):
Yeah, I did.

Speaker 4 (01:15:50):
Like how he won't let it be known that like
if he goes somewhere, he wants a long term deal
and he also doesn't want to pitch out of the bullpen.

Speaker 2 (01:15:57):
He wants to be a star. That's right, dude, You're
not in the shots. Okay, Like then, I said it yesterday.

Speaker 4 (01:16:03):
I was like that, that's like when my kid tries
to negotiate with me when I tell him, like, all right, listen,
you gotta you gotta pick your toys up. No no, no, no, no,
how about I do this first that? But no, no,
there is no negotiation here. I'm tired of stepping on
your monster trucks.

Speaker 2 (01:16:19):
Pick them up. That's it.

Speaker 4 (01:16:21):
And then he never does and I end up having
to do it. But the point is you're not in
a position to call shots. But instead he's you know,
letting everybody knowing what his demands are if he's gonna
get dealt.

Speaker 12 (01:16:30):
Yeah, okay, So away from that, it is the Olympics.
So with that, I want our Olympic expert Chris Purfett
to give us a quick metal count.

Speaker 9 (01:16:38):
All right, all right, are.

Speaker 4 (01:16:40):
We gonna play the Olympic music in the background. Yeah,
all right, let's let's just let's edit the podcast so
it makes it seem like we were all ready to
go for this, like it's a little radio magic. Nobody
will know the difference. All right, So when you listen
to the podcast, which will be posted shortly after we
go off the air, nobody there it is. See nobody knows,

(01:17:01):
all right, so let's start it over again. All right, Well,
I'm gonna count down from three and then you do
the toss and the way it'll sound profession Are you ready?

Speaker 9 (01:17:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (01:17:09):
Three, two, one, that's right. It is the Olympics. And
with that we're going to toss it over to our
Olympics expert Chris Purfett with a quick metal count.

Speaker 9 (01:17:19):
Update.

Speaker 8 (01:17:19):
Oh boy, I hope this is still up to date
after clearly we're doing this for the first time. Right now,
Australia is leading the way. Actually USA is tied with
them at four medals, but Australia has three gold medals
right now cycling roads two in swimming, France host nation
with three a bronze, a silver and a gold. Team
USA still looking for their first gold medal. They currently

(01:17:42):
have a bronze in cycling road that was for cyclist
Chloe Diggert. Let's see here, what else do we have? Actually,
just the four by one hundred freestyle relay just wrapped up,
USA taking silver, Therela Deci Katie the Ladecci getting a
bronze earlier, I believe, and a American team for synchronized

(01:18:04):
diving rounds out your four American medals.

Speaker 2 (01:18:08):
Still looking for.

Speaker 4 (01:18:08):
Goal there it is, job well done, Chris Purfet. There
on the metal count thus far in the Olympics.

Speaker 9 (01:18:16):
You know, speaking of the Olympics.

Speaker 4 (01:18:17):
Uh.

Speaker 12 (01:18:18):
The Italian flag barrow bearer Gian Marco Tamberi, he's a
high jumper. He issued a lengthy apology on Instagram because
he lost his wedding ring in the Sane River on
Friday or in the opening ceremony.

Speaker 4 (01:18:33):
Who cares?

Speaker 12 (01:18:34):
Yeah, so he had to he had to issue a
very lengthy apology to his wife. Yeah, but let me
let me let me call a first ring lost in
the sin Yeah yeah, let me let.

Speaker 2 (01:18:42):
Me call BS on this.

Speaker 4 (01:18:44):
That's somebody who realized what was at the Olympic village
and said, I ain't gonna need this anymore. Like I listen,
don't don't don't spin that that you lost.

Speaker 2 (01:18:53):
Oh, I don't know what.

Speaker 4 (01:18:55):
And by the way, don't like guys that walk around
in really expensive wedding rings.

Speaker 2 (01:18:59):
I don't don't get it. I swear to god. You
know where I got mine? Amazon pack of six for
eight nineties.

Speaker 9 (01:19:05):
Right, the little rubber ones.

Speaker 4 (01:19:07):
Yeah, they're easy, like you work out with them. You
can get him dirty, you can lose them that matter.

Speaker 9 (01:19:13):
Yeah, that's that's the way to go.

Speaker 2 (01:19:15):
Last thing here lost it in this I lost it
in the river.

Speaker 12 (01:19:17):
What it's such a long it's such a long apology
and like at the end he's like, it's the most
beautiful thing.

Speaker 9 (01:19:23):
Our love will be enshrined.

Speaker 4 (01:19:25):
Yeah, okay, buddy, which is code for hey, if you
see me without this thing on by accident, don't worry.

Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
It's in the river, my ass. He's got any backpock.

Speaker 8 (01:19:32):
Show up in a Parisian pawn shop in three weeks
when someone fishes it out.

Speaker 2 (01:19:36):
Yes, what a lie. Good for him though, nice effort.

Speaker 12 (01:19:40):
Gizmo a small dog in Las Vegas. He went missing
nine years ago twenty fifteen. He was found alive and
well earlier this week. Little little Chihuahua, he's all, he's
all good.

Speaker 2 (01:19:52):
Now.

Speaker 12 (01:19:52):
Did he get back to Yeah, apparently he was micro
chipped and he got back home to his original.

Speaker 2 (01:19:58):
Owner, so basically he wasn't lost.

Speaker 12 (01:20:00):
He ran maybe nine years for Achuaua in the Las
Vegas desert.

Speaker 9 (01:20:05):
That's like, you know, it's impressive.

Speaker 4 (01:20:08):
This w'd be cool if dogs could talk, because how
many times do you think he stopped somebody at a
liquor store and just said, hey.

Speaker 2 (01:20:14):
Can you get this chip out of my ear? So
they don't know where I am.

Speaker 4 (01:20:16):
Like, I don't want to go back to those weirdos anymore.
I'd like a free life for once.

Speaker 2 (01:20:20):
Shonas son of a bitch.
