Speaker 1 (00:02):
I have to have better stop. From the beginning, Jonas Knocks,
you thought you knew me.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
You didn't know a thing about me.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
He's crazier than a else. Wrecked that guy, Jonas Knocks,
you heard me.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Brand some darkness is lighting up your speakers to establish
an alibi for the day. From the tirag dot com
Fox Sports Radio Studios, here's Jonas Knox. Y.
Speaker 4 (00:29):
Okay, I'll be part this world.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
You know, I'm gonna ask for something. I wish this
was possible, but I just have a really really strong
feeling like and actually, I'll just say it, I don't
think it is. I don't think people are capable of it.
And it's sad. We'll explain why coming up here in
just a couple of moments. From now, Jonas Knox, Fox
Sports Radio. You can listen to this show as always
(01:09):
on the iHeartRadio app. You can find us on hundreds
of affiliates all across the country and wherever you are
making us a part of your Saturday morning into the afternoon.
We appreciate you doing so. We are going to take
you all the way up until four pm Eastern time
one o'clock Pacific, and we're doing it all per usual
live we don't we tire rac dot com Studios, tire
(01:30):
rack dot com, we'll help you get there and unmatched election, fast,
free shipping, free road hazard protection, and over ten thousand
recommended installers tire rac dot com. The way tire buying
should be. Like, this is gonna be a real big ask,
But I wish that just some people could acknowledge, you
know what, I was wrong. I got that one wrong.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
It's okay. I do it all the time.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
It's called Knox locks to close up the show every Saturday,
and we'll address what happened last week following a three
and oh week. The prior week, Week ten wasn't all
that hot for me. All right, we'll get into all
that little accountability here on the show. But it is
okay just to get stuff wrong or to think that
you know what the best way to manage a situation is,
(02:17):
only to find out no, this way works better. Like
I go through that daily with my wife. I think, hey,
this is probably the best way we should manage our
three year old who's a maniac and wants to play
baseball inside and doesn't hasn't learned the change up yet,
So everything is straight for seam gas. Oh is that
(02:41):
a flower vase?
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Gas?
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Sweet, hey mom? Are those your rosary beats?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Gas? Dad? Nice coffee mug. Gas doesn't matter television gas,
no slider, no cut, fastball, not even a two, no four,
seam up in the zone. Gas all day, every day.
And we try and navigate different ways. But like sometimes
(03:09):
I just acknowledge, Hey, you know what your plan was better?
You got it right. I apologize. I wish some people
could take that same approach when it comes to Colorado
and what Dion Sanders has done there, because there was
so many people that were waiting for this thing to fail.
They wanted it to fail so bad they couldn't wait.
(03:30):
Like when he started off hot last year, there were
people ready to throw ragers because of the struggles they
had later in the season. They couldn't wait to see
this thing go bye bye. And then you get to
this year and it's like, okay, now that you're not surprised.
You remember that game against Nebraska early in the season,
(03:51):
Remember that one all people were thrilled, I mean shardor
Sanders throws an awful pick six, blames his O line,
blames the receiver, like people couldn't wait to bury this team,
and then you look back a month or two later
and you go, damn, like they got a shot to
(04:15):
like get a bye. It's like wait, what, like just
it's working? Like what he's what Deon Sanders is doing
there is working. Am I saying they're gonna win a
national title? No, but that's not what the conversation was.
When Dion Sanders took over. The conversation was can you
(04:36):
put this program on the map again? Can you get
people excited about it? Check? Check? Like you're watching the scene,
the setup, how how it's being presented to you, like
the backdrop of the mountain, Like, I mean, everything they
got going on there, it's beautiful. Like they took a
(04:59):
terrible program over. Deon Sanders took over one of the
worst programs in college football and has completely rejuvenated it,
revitalized it, and they've become one of the hottest commodities
in college football in the sport, in a sport that
is second only to the NFL. Sorry, NBA, that's just
the truth. So like when you see how this thing
(05:23):
is played out and you see the assumption that well
they're gonna fall off, They're gonna meet their maker. They're
gonna and then you just kind of slowly no, no, no, no, no.
They're stacking wins. They're still got the hype, they're still exciting.
They've got two players on their team that are Heisman
(05:43):
Trophy candidates. Travis Hunter probably should win the thing. Had
an unbelievable catch in the first half of this game
against Utah, Like it is okay if you were one
of those people that were waiting for this whole thing
to fail, it is okay.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
No one's gonna.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Judge you to just take a step back and you go, hey,
you know what got that wrong? Nothing wrong with it, like,
no issue whatsoever. It's like, there's a long list of
people that were waiting for this thing to fail. There's
a long list. And trust me, if they lose in
the college football playoff, if they come up short later
(06:19):
in the seat, like, there's going to be the same
people that are going to be jumping around for Joy
told you, but those are the same people that are
moving the goalpost. Because the conversation when Dion took over
wasn't oh, are they going to win a national tech?
And no, was are they going to be relevant? And
are they going to actually win games with this approach?
(06:40):
And he's done both, it's okay to acknowledge you got
it wrong. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio at the
Jonas Knocks on X. At the Jonas Knox on X.
You know, one of the big discussions to be had
and uh, you know, we'll kind of get into this
a little bit more later on as well, too, is
sort of you know, how do you fix some of
(07:02):
the problems that are currently taking place around the NFL
When it comes to coaches young quarterbacks, you know, they
need to like I mean, they're like you could go,
I mean, it's not just Caleb Williams. It's like, what
do you do with the Anthony Richardson stuff?
Speaker 1 (07:16):
What do you like?
Speaker 2 (07:17):
There's different situations that have popped up around Bryce Young,
like all these different situations that have popped up around
the NFL, and like, you know, people are wondering, how
do we fix this stuff? Well, novel idea. What if
you like made it to where you built something around
(07:39):
your young quarterback strengths, gave them some familiarity and then
that way, you know that that would be putting them
in the best position to succeed I mean, it seems
like it makes all the sense in the world to me.
I don't know about you, like, like, it seems like
(08:00):
that would be the way to handle this. Yet, like
teams in the NFL thing no no, no, no, no, no,
we know we drafted you. We know you're like, but no, no,
we got it covered here. We're good, like we got
it covered. It's like the Bears draft Kaleb Williams. They've
got a defensive head coach and Cliff Kingsbury who coached
(08:21):
Kayleb Williams in college. You know, when he was really good,
good enough to be the number one pick in the draft.
He stops by Chicago for an interview, and they're like, yeah,
uh sorry, buddy, you're not going to get a second interview.
We got one lined up with Shane Waldron, who just
got fired after nine games. Okay, well that makes a
(08:45):
ton of sense. So I say all that to say
this when Dion Sanders says, yeah, I'm gonna step in
if I feel like my son is going to get
drafted to the wrong place, or if Travis Hunter gets
drafted to the wrong place, or the same people are like, yeah,
but Dion Sanders, you know he's not really an NFL
I got news for you. A he should absolutely step
(09:08):
in because I don't know about you. I'm not leaving
someone I love and care about in the hands of
somebody that I don't trust like that. That's just not
going to happen, Okay, Like, Hey, who's your babysitter today?
Speaker 1 (09:25):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
He's on work release. He's doing fifteen to twenty for
armed robbery and double homicide. But I should be good,
all right to what movie you guys want to see? What?
Like no, no, no, no. You want to leave them in
the hands of somebody you trust, something you trust. So
like when Dion Sanders says I'm gonna step in and
(09:47):
like make sure that you know they don't go to
terrible environments, that's absolutely what he should do, one hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Like you know who else did that?
Speaker 2 (09:57):
You know, Eli Manning's father and John Elway's dad, I
don't know what do they got like four super Bowls
between them? In fact, like they stepped in and said,
we don't want our kids playing here or going here.
And do you know what happened to the places that
they didn't want their sons playing for? They both left
(10:20):
the Baltimore Colts moved to Indy and the San Diego
Chargers left, so clearly they knew something. Like then the
conversation becomes, all right, so then how can we make
this to where it's tenable for Shador Sanders?
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Like, well, truly easy.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
If you're a team and you are picking high in
the draft and you are going to draft Shador Sanders,
and you also are a bad football team, which you
know that's why you're picking that high, and you're probably
looking for a head coach.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
I'd probably kick the tires on his dad. And I
know people don't want to hear that because they think, well,
oh no, no, no, Deon doesn't And Dion said, I don't
want to go coach in the NFL. But if there
is an opportunity to coach your son, and you could
kill two birds with one stone, you could make sure
that he goes to a place that you trust and
make sure he gets the coaching that you know you
(11:16):
can trust. And it's you, Why wouldn't you make the call?
That's what this is about. Like, you don't know whether
or not something's going to work in the NFL. You
don't know whether or not. Somebody's going to work in
the NFL, but you do know that you have an
obligation to put them in the best position to succeed.
(11:36):
That's it. Whatever happens after that happens after that. Like
I wear my seat belt, Do I want to always
wear my seat belt? No, but I'd like to put
myself in the best position to succeed just in case
something happens. Like if you're one of these NFL teams
(11:57):
and you're picking high in the draft, you have to
do whatever you can to make this thing work with
a quarterback you're drafting that high. If it means making
a switch at coach, if it means bringing in somebody
familiar to coach him, who coached him, whatever you gotta do.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
That's the goal.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
So like for anybody out there that's thinking, wow, you know,
why is Dion stepping in? You don't want to be
a helicopter parent. No, no, no, In this case, you
do because you don't want your son to potentially turn
into one of these other quarterbacks in the league that
have come in been labeled a quote unquote bust, when
the fact of the matter is they were putting a
(12:41):
crap spot from the jump. It makes way too much
sense to me, yet every single year it doesn't to
a lot of teams in the NFL. Jonas Knox here
Fox Sports Radio at d Jonas Knocks on X at
the Jonas Knocks on X and you can hang out
with us as always on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
All right, so we are.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
We have the usuals coming up later on. We do
have another edition of in case you missed it. We've
also got an award we're going to hand out here
on the show. So congratulations to two teams in the
NFL that aren't getting a lot of love. That'll happen
later this hour also, and we're gonna close up shop
with Knox Locks. It's all yours here as we take
you all the way up until four pm Eastern time,
one o'clock Pacific.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
But this may be.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
The most hilarious moment of I don't know, gollibility is
that even a word, whatever it is. If you fell
for this, you are a moron and you've got nobody
to blame but yourself. That's yours next here on FSR.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
Today, we don't need to bring Jonas in.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio coming up in about we'll
call it about ten minutes from now here from the
tire Raq dot com studios. We're going to hand out
an award on this show. A lot of people out
there like to swim in the negative.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
We don't.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
We hand out awards and we will do that again
here about ten minutes from now here on FSR. Quick
update for you from the game right now in Boulder
between Colorado and Utah. Colorado a twenty eight to nine
lead over the Utah Utes third quarter, just under nine
minutes left to go, So that is the quick check
(14:31):
in there. Also Texas struggling a bit up thirteen to
seven over Arkansas there and then you've got Ohio State
and Northwestern. Ohio State has a thirty one to seven
lead over Northwestern right now. That game started the fourth
quarter there at Wrigley Field, which, by the way, let
me just say this, I know everybody wants to do
(14:53):
this international crap and no offense to the people that
are listening on the iHeartRadio app. Overseas. I believe we
are still the top rated show in Guam that we
do have that on good authority. Somebody actually called in.
There's a sound drop of that.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
So popular sports talk RADIOHOS on the Island of Guam
is Jonas Knox.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Facts right there. Facts. But like you, like this whole internet,
like this rush to hey, we got to do stuff internationally.
We got to go send another game over to Germany,
like gotta we gotta put on more events here. We
got to have another one over in London, and like
another two in London. We're gonna send the Jags over
(15:38):
there for two weeks in a row and three weeks' time.
Like why can't you just figure out how to do
stuff here in the in this country, like in the States,
Like there's not enough venues out there that haven't had
a football game that you can't just do like Ohio
State in Northwestern or playing at Wrigley Field right now,
it's awesome, Like it's it's all and by the way,
(16:00):
for anybody that hasn't been a wrigley Field, you know
the best part about Wrigley Field the stuff on the
outside of Wrigley Field. Just imagine going to a football
game and walking literally across the street, like wherever you
are listening right now, just look across the street right now,
and I want you to picture this bar, bar, bar,
(16:28):
restaurant and bar, restaurant and pub, bar, bar, sporting good store, bar,
nether bar, downstairs, bar seven to eleven bar, bar, sportsbook, bar,
but like all around you. Like so, let me ask
(16:49):
you this, would you rather go see a football game.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
In is Stanbul?
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Or would you rather see a football game at a
place Wrigley Field where you could just walk right across
the street in any direction and you're either bumping in
to somebody selling drinks, selling food, selling merch or sell
selling something else that you could take on the train
ride back. Whatever it is. Like, I just feel like
(17:18):
we're getting too lost in this. We gotta go international,
we gotta go no, no, dude. There's so many opportunities to
have great events here in our homeland, in the country,
like venues that are there that would love to have
a sporting event, and for whatever reason, we try and
jump overseas to go put something on there. I don't
get it, all right. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio
(17:39):
at the Jonas Knox at the Jonas Knox and you
can hang out with us as always on the iHeartRadio app.
All right, so let's get into this, all right. I'm
gonna go ahead and just present to you a scenario here,
all right, if like Michael Jordan was is playing horse,
(18:05):
would you get pissed if he didn't dunk? Or like,
would you get pissed if like he didn't do that,
like you know, go with the right hand, switch to
the left like he did in the NBA finals. Let's
get him a horse, I mean like like basically like
imagine going to a Chuck e Cheese or a daven
Busters and he's hitting on the Papa shots Like no,
(18:26):
you would understand that, like, oh, this is not like
this isn't.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
A real game, So why would he do that? This
is not a real game.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Like if if Tiger Woods was playing mini putt, Like
would you get pissed if he didn't rock at a
three hundred and fifty yard drive or do the fist
pump on eighteen? Like no, Like he's literally hitting a
ball through a clown's mouth with a windmal in front
of it, Like what what are we talking about? Like
(18:58):
there's like there's there's hills and tunnels and this there's
a windmill.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
There, there's a what are we talking to?
Speaker 2 (19:04):
No, like we all understand like the like like it's
all in the details, like you could see it. So
like the people that are outraged or upset because the
Mike Tyson Jake Paul fight didn't resemble a real boxing fight,
(19:25):
what are you a moron?
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Like?
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Honestly, like what other information did you need for you
to understand?
Speaker 1 (19:37):
This isn't?
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Like uh, I mean like this is not like a
real fight, Like it's not. I mean, yeah, they're hitting
each other, but it's not. I mean, like, the gloves
are bigger for a reason, so they don't hurt as
much and do as much damage. There were less rounds
(20:00):
for a reason. The rounds were shorter than a normal
round in boxing for a reason.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
So what are you pissed about?
Speaker 3 (20:12):
Like?
Speaker 2 (20:13):
And by the way, you know, if you didn't already
have a Netflix account, like I don't, I mean, if
you had one, all you did was watch something on Netflix,
and if you thought it sucked, you just stop watching it.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
Do you know how many shows I've.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
Started on Netflix and I was like, this show sucks
and I just went.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
To something else.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
Okay, I mean it's not really that not a big deal,
Like I don't I'm a little confused, like but people
are are all but I got just a disgraced and
all right, so there was some buffering issues.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Look, I got news for you.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
You know. The biggest issue with that is like the
same joke that was told over and over again.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
Hey, normal boxing events have Michael Buffer, but Netflix has
Michael Buffering.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Like just same candy ass humor and material. It's why
a comedian's job is always going to be safe because
people aren't funny. They just aren't. Okay, I'm sorry, and
I'll take an insulting joke that might piss off a
lot of people over that bag of craft that they
roll out all the time. But the point is, like
(21:25):
what did you expect? It was in the details, Like
it was there, like you like, did you like I
heard people yesterday. I took my son and his cousin's
bowling yesterday and I heard these guys talking next to
us and they're bad. Tyson's gotta kill him.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
I just got it, just got.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
Tyson's gotta And I'm just thinking myself, like, oh my god,
what an idiot? Like what like, what do you what
do you think this is going to be? Like could
you not tell in the middle of the fight that
Jake Paul was kind of carrying him a little bit,
Like it was like you couldn't tell there was a
(22:07):
I mean, he's almost sixty years old. But like I
didn't go into that fight thinking, oh God, I got
to see Mike Tyson at his prime. No, Like the
rounds were shorter, there were less rounds, the gloves were bigger.
He's almost sixty, Like I kind of knew what I
was getting. And if you're complaining about that fight, did
you miss the first the two fights before them? They
(22:29):
were fantastic. They were great boxing fights. You had like
the women that Katie Taylor and like you had a
man the serrana was great. Those fights were great, but
like people were so cut. Oh my, no, this is
what happened, Like, dude, that's what. Let me tell you something.
(22:50):
And this is the truth. And this is probably going
to piss a lot of people off, but it's the truth.
The job of Jake Paul and Mike Tyson wasn't to
have a great fight. I mean, that's a plus, that's gravy.
The job of Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. Was to
(23:13):
sell you the possibility of a great fight.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
Whatever happens after that, eh, And I'm sorry you may
not understand, but that is the truth. Their job wasn't
to give you a great fight. Their job was to
sell you on the possibility of a great fight. And
guess what they did. How do I know that because
(23:41):
look at how many people are bitching about it. Those
are all the people that watched. Those are all the
people that bought it. Seventy thousand people filled at and
T Stadium, which, by the way, as bad as you
think that fight was, have you seen the Cowboys games
there this year?
Speaker 1 (24:02):
That team sucks a little bit.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Hey, Jerry, Jerry got to call spade to spade here.
I don't have the patience to Jack. Wait, I'm not
asking you to it's your day off. I'm not trying
to get in the weeds with you here. And plus
you already do enough hits on local radio in Dallas,
all right, why don't you take a Saturday off?
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Like people have.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Gotten this thing totally wrong where they're like no, no, no,
I mean I was like no, they were supposed to
get you sold on the idea of this being a
great fight. There were no guarantees. I'm sorry, they're just
not like if you go to a movie are you
(24:47):
running to the counter afterwards because the movie wasn't good
enough that like, oh no, this isn't no. It's like
the same people that complain about load management in the NBA.
I bought my ticket, my hard earned his money was
paid for this ticket, and I showed up and Lebron
sat out. It's like, okay, Well, Mike Tyson and Jake
Paul at least played. Maybe they didn't play well, especially
(25:10):
Mike Tyson, but at least played, So what's the complaint.
Their job was to sell you on the possibility of
there being a good fight. They did their job. Case closed.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
Speaking a hand on awards.
Speaker 5 (26:06):
Kurt Signetti got an eight year contract extension after only
coaching ten games at Indiana. I guess that's what happens
when you start out ten to Oh, he's gonna The
deal is worth eight million annually with an additional one
million retention bonus each year. That contract will run through
twenty thirty two.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Have you seen those Signetti Marlboro red T shirts that
they make.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
I haven't. I have it, like the check the Internet.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
It's like the Marlborough It's the Marlborough logo, like the
box of cigarettes, but it says Signetti on it.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
It's fantastic.
Speaker 4 (26:38):
I mean, he's fantastic, just gool. He's a winner with them,
He's a winner. He doesn't have the chance to win
this week, Jonas.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
Outside of the eight million dollars annual contract that did
he just sign because they're on.
Speaker 4 (26:50):
A buy but they do have Ohio State next week.
Speaker 5 (26:53):
Speaking of the Buckeyes right now, thirty one to seven
to score them the second rate team in the nation,
pounding Northwestern and again they got off to a little
bit of a slow start, but quinch On Judkins has
two rushing touchdowns, Carl Nolte two touchdown catches and again
to score thirty one to seven, So not necessarily in
competition here, but thirteen to ten with the third ranked
(27:14):
team of the nation of the long Corns with a
three point lead over Arkansas right now, Arkansas just kicking
a field goal after a long drive. Taylor Green had
an interception in the first quarter. Matthew Golden has a
touchdown catch ja Quindon Jackson with the Arkansas touchdown.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
Utah and Colorado, the Dorian.
Speaker 5 (27:32):
Singer just had a forty yard touchdown catch to shorten
Colorado's lead to twenty eight to sixteen. Colorado with a
punt return in this game, Travis Hunter caught his third
interception of the season.
Speaker 4 (27:45):
Clemson and pitt seven to twenty left in the third quarter.
Speaker 5 (27:48):
There between the Tigers and the Pittsburgh Panthers seventeen to seven,
the lead for Clemson Clay coupet with two touchdown passes,
both to Antonio Williams there two lane and Navy twenty
one to nothing, the Green Wave over the Midshipman with
fourteen minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
Is your quarterback? Brady Quinn expected to be.
Speaker 5 (28:08):
A true game time decision of South Carolina today?
Speaker 4 (28:11):
He's expected to attempt to play.
Speaker 5 (28:12):
Jonas question for you, what's the difference between a game
time decision and a true game time decision at somebody
who you know, may lay down a wager here and there.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
Yeah, that's a good question. Yeah, what is the uh,
let me let me try and.
Speaker 5 (28:28):
To all the other game time decisions lies if this
one is a true game time decision.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
Yeah, like that that would be also kind of, you know,
ratting out everybody else who is a game time decision
that isn't a true game time decision.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
I'm not a big fan.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Of that, Like, yeah, that's like a true game time
I mean, I guess is it? What like he's on
the sideline and they're just gonna decide right before kick?
Speaker 4 (28:52):
Are you ready? But is it that all game time decisions.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
Yeah, that's a little weird.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
That's a little fishy. That's one of those ones you
just away from if you're at the window and just
be like, all, I don't trust this thing from the.
Speaker 5 (29:03):
Get go, And that's a problem they might have been
lying about all the other game time decisions. Brady Cooch
does have a risk injury. He'll try to warm up
and see how he feels. He's doubtful on the injury report.
Christian bar More defensive line for the Patriots. He's activated
up the non football illness list. Should play on Sunday.
Taekwon Thornton released from New England after three seasons.
Speaker 4 (29:23):
He was a second round pick.
Speaker 5 (29:24):
The Browns have elevated to Darius Tony from the practice
squad for Tomorrow's game against the Saints, and the Raiders
have activated Michael Mayer, last year's second round pick tight end,
from a reserve NFI list. Prior to Sunday's game, Jonas
back to you, truly.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
Thanks to you. Yeah, that's what we're talking about here.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
We're not leading anybody on in the wrong direction, not
yet anyways. We will in another edition of Do You Care,
which is coming up here in about ten minutes, from
now here on FSR.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
But you know, there's a.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Lot of people who like to delve into the negative
side of things. We don't do that here on this show.
We're not going to do that, even if like your
team is struggling in the the NFL, we refuse to
do that. So it is time now, with all that
being said, for our t g FG Game of the
Week in the NFL, and the award this week.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Goes too Browns at Saints.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Oh Baby, one pm Eastern time on Fox. Congratulations to
all parties involved. By the way, you remember before the season,
when there was a thought that like Cleveland would be
the team, one of the teams that could actually contend
for a Super Bowl. I mean, the roster was great,
(30:40):
they had their franchise quarterback, they were a playoff team
last year with a backup quarterback. Everything was set up
and ready for the Cleveland Browns to.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
Have success this season.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
And then this damn thing got in the way, called
the season. And next thing you know, Cleveland's sitting here
at two and seven as we approach Thanksgiving and they're
winning awards for this and not to be outdone, they're
doing so against the New Orleans Saints who followed up
a two and oh start with a seven game losing streak.
(31:20):
But congratulations because the Saints have figured it out and
now they're sitting at three and seven, a half game
better than those Cleveland Browns. So just based on record alone,
based on expectations that haven't been met, based on the
two and oh teasing start by the New Orleans Saints.
Here week eleven, on this show, we want to hand
(31:41):
out the award for the TGFG Game of the Week
to the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints. Thank God
for gambling Game of the week because of not for gambling.

we'll call it a little over well about fifteen minutes
from now here from the tire raq dot com studios,
we are going to get back into the NFL. Here
we're gonna have a discussion just about you know, what
may be the worst timing in the history of the league,
maybe the worst timing in the history of the league
(33:00):
for one franchise. We'll get into that for you here again,
fifteen minutes from now from the ti iraq dot com
studios before we get to another edition of Do You Care? Though,

Speaker 3 (33:27):
There are so many stories in the world of sports,
and most of them are a complete waste of time.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
DMZ reports. Now let's get kinky.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
Here's some of the big stories from the last week.
But Jonas, the real question is do you care?
Speaker 2 (33:43):
And for that we turn it over to our executive
producer Patrick Sweek and to find out what the hell
people have been talking about all week.
Speaker 6 (33:48):
Pat Well, Jonas, I'll tell you what people have been
caring all this week. Tyreek Hill said that he may
need surgery for his injured risk, but he did say
he's gonna wait till season's end.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
You know what, Jonas, do you care?
Speaker 2 (34:02):
Here's why I care about this because I want to
hear this same question and same comment in about four
or five weeks if the Dolphins have been eliminated from
playoff contention, which, by the way, let me just spoiler
alert here, they will have been eliminated from playoff contention
because at that point, why wouldn't you just get the
surgery now as opposed to waiting until after the season,
(34:23):
like and looks the same thing with Trevor Laurre. What
are we talking about with the Jaguars where Trevor Lawrence
is like, oh, well, you know he's gonna miss another
game and there's talk about surgery. Dude, season's over, Get
it done. And worry about next year.
Speaker 6 (34:37):
Next, all right, Jonas, Do you care that the Tampa
Bay Rays will play the upcoming twenty twenty five spring
ball at Steinbrenner Field, which actually happens to be the
home of their rival, the New York Yankees for spring training.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
No, I don't listen. There's just there's too much going
on in the NFL. Like I like spring training. I
like the relaxed atmosphere of it. I like the fact
that you can just I'll hang out in Arizona or
hang out in Florida and you know, just watch some
baseball and not really have to stress out about anything
because it's not the real games and it's just the preseason.
But unfortunately, right now we're just inundated with football conversation
(35:12):
and football talk its topics. I don't have time for this.
Speaker 6 (35:15):
Next, all right, Jonas. Do you care that Lebron James
seemingly hinted again that he will retire by saying I'm
not going to play that much longer.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
No, I don't care.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Look and let me this.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
He's absolutely going to be one of those guys that
has a one final season and lets everybody know about it,
and there's nothing wrong with that, But it's just at
a certain point, like come on, man, Like remember when
Ben Roethlisberger was talking about and throughout retirement like two
or three times before he actually decided he was going
to retire. I feel like we're starting to approach that
(35:50):
with Lebron, who, by the way, is still fantastic and
shouldn't retire anytime soon based on his skill set.
Speaker 6 (35:56):
Next, all right, Jonas, well, do you care that in
Sweden a moose entered a company's open garage and you
know what, Jonas, he ended up trampling three BMW's and
not totaled about twenty thousand damages. The moose did, in fact,
flee the scene.
Speaker 4 (36:14):
Do you care?
Speaker 2 (36:15):
Okay, here's why I care about I love it. If
you know that there's the possibility of that, why would
you leave your garage open?
Speaker 1 (36:25):
Now? Was this it?
Speaker 2 (36:26):
So? This was at a company's garage and did somebody
forget to lock it or close the garage or is
it just always open at all hours of the day,
Because if it's always open at all hours of the day,
I'm sorry, I don't feel the least bit bad for him.
I mean, if there's moose walking rightd have you seen
how big moose are? Like if you see these things
are massive, and when you see them in person or
(36:48):
you get next to them, or you show them next
to like an actual car or a human being, they're monsters. Why,
if this is a possibility, would you leave your garage
door open? Like?
Speaker 1 (36:59):
None of that makes any tense to me.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
It's like out here we have coyotes, Like it's a
big coyote problem. If you know that, why would you
let your little dog or cat off a leash. I
don't know if anybody's got their cats on a leash,
but why would you let your little dog off the
leash to go run around in the backyard when you
know a coyote could hop the gate and swoop him up,
(37:22):
Like there was a surveillance video that just came out
or like one of these like ring cameras in the backyard.
Tommy Lee and his wife have this little dog and
they live out here in southern California, and coyote hops
the yops the fence and just picks it up because
it wasn't strong enough because it probably hadn't etn it
a little while it dropped it before.
Speaker 1 (37:43):
It could get over the fence, Like, what are we
doing here next?
Speaker 6 (37:47):
All right, Jonas, Well, we're about to get a little
weird here. Do you care that a thirty four year
old man has been crowned and I quote the world
champion toe wrestler, and he also had his tails surgically
removed to supposedly give him an advantage because it's a
newer competitive sport.
Speaker 4 (38:09):
Do you care?
Speaker 2 (38:10):
Well? Here's well, first of all, I care, and I
also take I also have an.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
Issue with this, especially this week.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
I've got an ingrown toenail that feels like like I've
got a dragon biting down on my foot, Like it
is excruciating. And so to see this guy removing toenails
to have an advantage or it's what look like I
want to make fun of him, and like there's a
Rex Ryan joke in there, and there's all that, Like
(38:40):
I want to make fun of this guy. But you
talk about a commitment to your craft, like you talk
about a commitment to wanting to be better than everybody else.
That's why I don't sit here and judge people like
the guy's in the Tour de France, the first seventeen
that all ended up pissing hot like they were all
on gear and everyone's like, oh my god, the sport's dirty. No,
you know what, that's sports filled with It's the sport's
(39:01):
filled with people that want to be the best.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
So the fact that this guy is willing to remove
toenails to try and get some sort of an advantage
and try and win championships, I can't hate on the guy.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
Go do what you gotta do next. Really beautiful feet.
Speaker 4 (39:17):
Yeah, okay, all right, all right, Joe.
Speaker 6 (39:20):
This one's the Papa sweekst specialist one from from my father,
yours truly, Jonas. He asks, do you care if the
children's toy my little Pony was inducted into the National
Toy Hall of Fame? And he even poses the question
of do you even care that there is a National
Toy Hall of Fame?
Speaker 1 (39:40):
Yeah? I actually do.
Speaker 4 (39:41):
I actually do.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
I like it now, I think if I'm not mistaken,
like a couple of years ago, because I was trying
to think, like what would be the greatest toy of
all time? And obviously this is going to vary from
you know, boy to girl or you know whatever you're
referring to yourself. I mean again, Nope, we're not passing
judgment on this show. That's the last thing we want
to do. I would go NERF football. I think NERF
(40:06):
football has got to be the greatest toy of all time.
Some people are into my little ponies. The fact that
there's a toy Hall of Fame, I mean awesome. It
would help if there was like a Toys r Us
or like a KB Toys or something like that that
you could go see some of these things in. But
thus welcome to twenty twenty four. You just click a
button and they show up in a package on your doorstep,
(40:27):
and somebody throws it at you like you did something
wrong to them. I mean, there's bad timing. And then
there's this in the NFL. We'll explain who that involves.
Coming up here in just a couple of moments from now,
Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio. You can listen to this
show as always on the iHeartRadio app. You can find
(40:47):
us on hundreds of affiliates all across the country and
wherever you are making us a part of your Saturday afternoon,
we appreciate you doing so. We are going to take
you all the way up until the end of this
hour four pm Eastern ten one o'clock Pacific, and we're
doing it all lot tirerac dot com Studios, tire rac
dot com. We'll help you get there, an unmatched selection,
(41:08):
fast free shipping, free road has a protection and over
ten thousand recommended installers. Tire rac dot com the way
tire buying should be. So Utah has just scored in
Boulder here in the fourth quarter with about eight minutes
in change left to go, and so Colorado has currently
(41:30):
right now a thirty five twenty two lead over the
Utah Utes.
Speaker 1 (41:35):
Assuming Utah, well.
Speaker 2 (41:38):
I guess yeah, they're probably gonna have to go for
two if you want to keep this a field goal,
touchdown and two point conversion game. So they are, they're
currently down thirteen, they're going to try the two point conversion.
So we'll keep you posting on that there. But just
my point in watching this game and just seeing how
it's playing out is the conversation of Colorado was never
(42:02):
is this team going to the college football Playoff? Is
this team going to be a team that gets to
buy in the college football playoff? Like? That was never
the discussion about Colorado. The conversation was always about can
Deon Sanders coach prime, but two point conversion good. So
it is thirty five twenty four, Colorado leading Utah eight
thirty four left to go in the game there, so
we'll keep you updated on that. But the conversation about
(42:24):
Colorado was a can Dion make the program viable, make
them interesting, and can they be competitive at any point?
And he's done all of that, so it's worked. It's
been a success. And so Deon's been in the news
this week because you know, there's been some conversation about
(42:45):
him stepping in. Would he step in if the wrong
team wanted to draft either Shador Sanders or Travis Hunter.
You know, there's also the possibility with Deon Sanders ever
entertained the idea of being a coach, like all that
stuff at the NFL, And my point on that was, look,
if I'm drafting shad Or Sanders and I need a coach,
(43:06):
like if that's the direction I'm heading, like, and I'm
looking around and i know I'm gonna draft shad Or
Sanders is going to be the first quarterback off the board,
probably the number one pick, and I'm.
Speaker 1 (43:15):
Looking for a coach.
Speaker 2 (43:17):
I'm absolutely going to have the discussion, Like my preferred
option would be Dion Sanders as the coach. Like that's
that would be the preferred option. And you could say, well,
there's so many better qualified candidates out there. There's you know, Belichick,
and like totally agree, and I'm not saying that those
could like Mike Frabel, I totally agree. But if this
(43:39):
is all about, hey, we want our quarterback to succeed,
because that's the most important piece of our team is
having a franchise quarterback of our organization, then I need
to make sure that he's in put in the best
spot possible. And I'm hiring Dion Sanders or at least
trying to bring him along if I'm drafting his son.
(44:00):
And like I was saying that because like you look
around the NFL and it's like one of the most
glaring examples of somebody is Caleb Williams. The Caleb Williams
situation in Chicago is a disaster. I mean completely disaster.
Speaker 1 (44:19):
Like you've got.
Speaker 2 (44:22):
Coaching and coaching staff issues. They just fired their offensive coordinator,
Matt Eberflus is blown through eight ten assistant coaches since
he's gotten there. It's really weird, Like one of them
left last year. Because the FBI showed up to their
house and there was some stuff that shouldn't have been there,
(44:43):
and the FBI was at the facility, that story got buried.
We have no idea what happened to that defensive coordinator,
no idea, Like just.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
The whole thing very bizarre.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
There's like players that went to Shane Waldro and were like, hey,
could we at least have like some plays to start
the game because we don't really script our play. The
whole thing has been odd. It's been weird, and Caleb
Williams has struggled and he hasn't played great. He hasn't
played great, and I think he would be the first
one to admit that he hasn't played great. But the
(45:18):
offensive line is a mess. Some of the decisions play
calling wise have been a mess. The defenses melted down
at times, they hail Mary against the Commanders at times.
All of that is have been a disaster. They came
off their bye week, they won in London. It was
the best the offense has looked in Chicago in years.
(45:40):
They came off that bye week and they've been asleep
ever since. How the hell do you look like that?
Against New England last week. New England's not good. Like,
if you were to stack up rosters Bears Patriots, you
got to go a little way before you get to
(46:01):
a Patriots player that you would put near the top.
And yet, for some reason, people on this show yours
truly thought, no, this is a good spot for the
Bears to bounce back.
Speaker 1 (46:15):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 2 (46:16):
That game was a wipeout. It wasn't close. They got
bludgeoned by New England. It's a disaster and we have
no idea how this thing's gonna It feels like they're
gonna be looking for another head coach. Could have had
Jim Harbaugh this past offseason, but yeah, why would you
want to do that? You know why? Put could have
add Cliff Kingsbury as your offensive coordinator.
Speaker 1 (46:37):
Yeah, why would you want to do that? You know
why put him in the best position to succeed.
Speaker 4 (46:42):
Screw it?
Speaker 1 (46:47):
And then you got the Packers coming to town.
Speaker 2 (46:48):
You know, it's like, you can't have worse timing in
the world for this, because whatever you think domination is,
domination is nothing compared to what Green Bay has done
to Chicago over the past several years. The Green Bay
Packers in their last thirty meetings with the Bears are
(47:14):
twenty five and five. It's not even a rivalry anymore.
Like it literally isn't even close. It used to be, well,
the NFL's most storied rivalry, storied rivalry. I mean, could
the Bears do their part. It's like trying to have
(47:36):
a dance with a corpse. What is this the Tom
Petty video back in the day, last Dance with Mary Jane.
Speaker 1 (47:43):
I don't know. It's probably about weed.
Speaker 2 (47:45):
I have no idea. One of you weed free kippies
can let me know. I don't know, like you know,
one of you pot junkies, let me know. Maybe it
was about weed. All I know the music video growing up,
back when they used to have those. I just remember
Tom Petty or somebody in the video was dancing with
a dead body. The Green Bay Packers have been dancing
with a corpse for years in this rivalry, and that
(48:10):
corpse is the Chicago Bears. They have been terrible, and
you come into this season and you've got this quarterback
who is your guy, and everyone's celebrating you for winning
this trade with Carolina, and everybody's celebrating you for a
(48:32):
Bears are in position now they finally got their franchise quarterback.
Speaker 1 (48:35):
They finally and this is what it looks like.
Speaker 2 (48:40):
And what's amazing about it is that Ryan Poles the
GM And like, if you were to ask somebody right now,
what's the biggest flaw on the Bears right now on offense?
Like the biggest fla everyone can say, play call or whatever,
that's biggest flaw for the Bears on offense. What's the
biggest flaw their offensive line? I mean, both their tackles
(49:04):
were out last week. They're gonna get one or both back.
But Tevin Jenkins can't stay healthy. He's been out. Like
their offensive line has been a mess. Ryan Poles, the
guy who is supposed to be building this he's sculpting
this team. He was a former offensive lineman for the Bears. Like,
(49:33):
at what point do you not have some sort of
intel that like, hey, that's a real issue for us.
I threw out the hypothetical if Joe Aalt was there
with their second pick at number nine when they took
Roma Donza, would they still have taken Roma Donsay? And
(49:56):
I gotta be honest with you, I think they might have.
And Joe Alt's been fantastic because Olufashanu from Penn State
was there. Didn't take him, and you're a former offensive
lineman with the franchise, how.
Speaker 1 (50:17):
Could you not?
Speaker 2 (50:19):
So when you just layer up all of the things
that have happened and all of the issues there, and
then in the midst of a full fledged five alarmed
diaper fire, you check the schedule, you turn the calendar over,
and you go, oh God, and we've got Green Bay,
(50:39):
the team that's been carrying our dead body in this
rivalry for years now. You could not have worse timing
anywhere than you've got Currently with the Chicago Bears. Jonas
Knox here on Fox Sports Radio at the Jonas Knox
at the Jonas Knox on X and you can hang
out with us as always on the iHeartRadio app. So
(51:00):
a quick update there from Boulder. A turnover by Colorado.
It was reviewed, call on the field stays it is
a turnover. Utah has gotten the ball back six minutes
and change left to go there in Boulder, Utah is
trailing thirty five twenty four, So Colorado up by eleven,
was six minutes left to go, but a turnover and
(51:21):
now Utah is driving inside Colorado territory. So we'll keep
you posting on that. It's been Colorado and Cruise Control
for the majority of the game, but Utah trying to
make a run of this thing late on Fox, so
we'll update you on that throughout the course of the show.
All Right, it's coming up next here from the tiraq
dot com studios. Listen, it's okay to just acknowledge this
(51:43):
as well, too. We wanted you to acknowledge it. You
got some things wrong with Deon Sanders in Colorado, but
it is okay to acknowledge It's sometimes older is better.
That played out last night in the world of sports.
We'll explain why next here.
Speaker 1 (51:57):
On FSR Boom Texas Jonas Jonas Knox, Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (52:09):
Coming up in we'll call it a little over ten
minutes from now from the tire Rack dot Com Studios.
I mean, if you know, if a team in the
NFL is going to do something, this has got to
be the year to do it. I mean, this has
got to be the year to do it. Everything is
lined up. But we've heard that before. We'll explain that
and who we're talking about coming up here in about
(52:30):
ten minutes from now. So quick update from Boulder a
couple of turnovers, Colorado with the turnover, then Utah with
the turnover, and now Colorado has just scored again with
four and a half minutes left to go in the
game to extend the lead and pretty much put it away.
Forty one point twenty four. The Colorado Buffalo's are leading
(52:50):
Utah right now, they're at home, and that should just
about do it there. From that one on Fox. So
neither a great performance in that game by Travis Hunter,
who should, in my mind be the Heisman Trophy winner. Look,
I love Ashton gent and I love what he did.
(53:12):
I mean, think about what Ashton Genty did. He was
in a shootout with Oregon. One of the best teams
in the country earlier this year was Boise State and
it was Dylan Gabriel versus Ashton Genty. Like, he was
unbelievable in that game. And he's had a great year,
and it's good to see the running back position get
a little bit of love again. But I look at
(53:34):
this and I go, this just feels like a Travis
Hunter award. I mean, he's been tremendous in this game.
Another interception, five catches, one of the great catches you'll
see earlier in the game that you'll see on highlights
throughout the course of the season. It feels like that
was a pretty big moment for Travis Hunter there. So
if you were to go over to DraftKings to try
(53:54):
and place a little bit of coin, a little bit
of money on who was going to be the Heisman
Trophy winner after this season's all said and done, if
you go to DraftKings right now, Travis Hunter is the
favorite at a minus one sixty currently.
Speaker 1 (54:09):
Which I'll be honest with you, that's actually not bad.
Speaker 2 (54:11):
You lay down one hundred and sixty dollars, you get
back a hundred on Travis Hunter right now on DraftKings
based on what you just saw. I mean, that's a
good move, Like go go search that out, find it
where you can find it, and maybe you can make
a little bit of bank on that as well too.
So that is the update there, Forty two to twenty
four now extra point is good and they are wrapping
things up there in about four and a half minutes
(54:34):
with Colorado and Utah. Colorado is going to move to
eight and two on the season after this win, all right,
So I do want to get into this because I
thought this was funny. And my point on this earlier
was you're not owed anything. You just not like of
the Mike Tyson Jake Paul fight. And there's a lot
(54:56):
of people that have complaints about it. And the complaint was, well,
you know, that was just terrible and Mike Tyson looked bad,
and it's okay. Well, those two guys did their job.
Their job was not to have a great fight. Their
job was to sell you on the possibility of having
a great fight. They did. I know they did because
of the number of people that complained about it and
(55:18):
the number of people that filled up at and T
Stadium on a Friday night for it. They did seventy
thousand people. Were those numbers inflated, Yeah, probably, but seventy
thousand people showed up to see Mike Tyson.
Speaker 1 (55:29):
And Jake Paul fight. And I didn't have an issue
with it. I really didn't.
Speaker 2 (55:32):
If I wasn't great, I wasn't expecting get to be great.
The gloves were bigger, the rounds were shorter, there was
less rounds. He's almost sixty. But if I see Tiger
Woods in a putt putt contest, I'm not pissed that
he's not teeing off like it's it's mini putt Michael Jordan,
(55:54):
you know, playing Papa shot. I'm not angry if he
doesn't dunk, like I know what it is going in
do it, And I knew what this was going to
be going into it.
Speaker 1 (56:04):
They told you so, Bigger gloves.
Speaker 2 (56:08):
So it doesn't do as much damage, Shorter rounds so
you can't do as much damage, less round so you
can't do as much. Like we knew that it was
all laid out there, So people complaining about it, I
come away from going, what did you really expect? They
did their job, and they did it really really well.
(56:28):
They sold the possibility of it being a great fight,
even though the devil was in the details. The answers
were there, but people refuse to look at that and
refuse to have a conversation about it.
Speaker 1 (56:41):
I got news for you.
Speaker 2 (56:42):
If it was a real fight, ten ounce gloves, three
minute rounds, twelve rounds, the fight doesn't happen because there's
no way a state athletic commission would sanction that fight
with Mike Tyson's age against Jake Paul.
Speaker 1 (57:01):
There's no way.
Speaker 2 (57:04):
So if you know that going into it, why are
you surprised, I understand what's the outrage. And by the way,
if you bought Netflix just for that fight, you've been
missing out. Netflix has got some cool stuff, and so
with your subscription you can go watch a bunch of
(57:25):
other stuff. Check you know, stranger thing, Like there's great
shows Narcos, There's great shows like go search around. There's
I mean, Peaky Blinders. Never seen it, I hear it's great.
But there's great stuff on Netflix. So like, if you're
complaining that, oh, I bought Netflix just for this fight, well,
I don't know, you're an idiot.
Speaker 1 (57:44):
What do you want me to do about it?
Speaker 3 (57:45):
Like?
Speaker 2 (57:46):
Sorry, But what was very evident is that vintage is better.
Sometimes older is better. Like that was pretty evident to
me right now. Not in the case of Mike Tyson, but.
Speaker 1 (58:03):
If you were like me.
Speaker 2 (58:05):
And you grew up on HBO boxing, it really stood
the test of time last night because as much as
people were complaining about, you know, the buffering and the
quality of the fight or whatever, like, hey, I got you, man,
I get it. But it's why I've been telling people
(58:25):
HBO Boxing may have been the most important member of boxing,
or at least up there in a long time, because
last night showed you that the nfls or that Netflix
has some work to do. If we're going to roll
out a couple of NFL games on Christmas, that was
(58:47):
not great, that was not ideal for anybody involved. So
I don't know what sort of real damage that did,
but we are going to actually get to find out.
What's going to be fun about this is that for
as much as much as people complained about what last
night was, and as much as people complained about how
(59:10):
last night you didn't get what you paid for and
you know, you had these streaming issues and there was
all this stuff that was going wrong, and you know,
we just we weren't happy with the equality. That we're
gonna find out and we're going to test that against
your ability to tolerate your family, because when Christmas rolls
(59:32):
around and you don't want to be near any of
those a holes, are you going to be complaining about
the buffering on Netflix when you're trying to watch the
Chiefs and the Steelers or the Ravens Texans on Christmas?
You're gonna be complaining about that.
Speaker 1 (59:46):
I got news for you.
Speaker 2 (59:47):
You'll take any buffering over having to deal with those
people and you know it, and so do I. So
we're going to test your theory and we're going to
test your feelings about this whole thing. When Christmas rolls
around and you got to take a side, you're either
going to be team family or team buffering. And I
(01:00:08):
got news for you, there's more people out there that
are probably gonna side with team Buffering than team Family
at that moment in time. Jonas Knox here, Fox Sports
Radio at the Jonas Knox at the Jonas Knox on X.
Another touchdown for Travis Hunter in that game for Colorado,
and it is now forty seven or excuse me, forty
(01:00:29):
eight twenty.
Speaker 1 (01:00:29):
Four Colorado with the lead there over Utah.
Speaker 2 (01:00:35):
Extra point is up and good and forty nine to
twenty four is now the score there with two minutes
and change left to go there in Boulder on Fox. Yeah,
that's a rap. That is a rap. I'll actually be
fascinated to see what the current betting odds are following
that latest. Yeah, so this is this is what's great
about this if you go on right now, we talked
(01:00:58):
about it earlier. Travis Hunter was a minus one sixty
in real time about five minutes ago, and we checked
the odds to win the Heisman after that touchdown, He's
now a minus two hundred, So in real time, the
odds of the Heisman have gone from minus one sixty
(01:01:18):
to two to one for Travis Hunter to win the
Heisman Trophy. So that is why the latest touchdown and
the additional statistics that have gone in favor of Travis
Hunter here today, along with that amazing catch that he
had earlier in the game, those feel like a couple
of Heisman moments for him. And now it's up to
minus two fifteen. So now it's up to minus two fifteen.
(01:01:42):
So we're seeing the odds of Travis Hunter winning the
Heisman be extended here based on this performance here today
on Fox against Utah. Speaking of gambling, what about Countdown
to Kickoff? Because football fans be sure to tune in
to Fox Sports Radio every Sunday morning, beginning at ten
am Eastern time, seven o'clock Pacific for Countdown to Kickoff,
(01:02:04):
presented by BETMGM Briano, Jeff Schwartz, and professional better Bill Krakeenberger.
We'll have you covered three hours before kickoff. Every Sunday morning,
listen to Countdown to Kickoff, presented by BETMGM here on
Fox Sports Radio and on the iHeartRadio app. All right,
it's coming up next here from the tiraq dot com studios.
(01:02:24):
If two teams in the NFL are going to finally
do it, if they're finally going to do it this week,
and this weekend should be the weekend to do it,
we'll explain who they are coming up here on FSR.
But for all the latest from around the world of sports,
including the apps, the numbers, and just the scene that
(01:02:45):
is Boulder, Colorado.
Speaker 1 (01:02:47):
He's the one and only Martin Wise.
Speaker 4 (01:02:48):
They are putting on a show right now in Colorado.
Right now, the student chection going double your score.
Speaker 5 (01:02:55):
Colorado forty nine, Utah twenty four, Colorado seventeenth, teenh three
team in the nation. Shador Sanders throwing for three forty
three touchdowns and only eleven incompletions. Travis Hunter has done
a little bit of everything, as per usual. He's got
an interception today, He's got five catches for fifty five
yards and on his only rushing attemp test, scored a
(01:03:17):
touchdown as well. So Colorado on their way to housing
this one. Utah tried to make it interesting but not
so much at Clemson and Pittsburgh. That one is actually
interesting as it is a tie game seventeen apiece. Clemson
had the lead for the majority of this game, if
not all of it now tied after pitt has scored
ten fourth quarter points four to twenty left in the
(01:03:38):
fourth quarter, there seventeen a piece Pittsburgh.
Speaker 4 (01:03:40):
With the ball around midfield. Two Lane and Navy played
earlier today. That game is over with two Lane pounded
Navy thirty five to nothing.
Speaker 5 (01:03:49):
Here other games that have been wrapped up, Ohio State
beat Northwestern thirty one to sevenquinch On Judkins had two
rushing touchdowns, Carneal Tate two receiving touchdowns. Texas beat Arkansas
twenty to ten. Matthew Golden had both touchdowns for Texas.
When you were throwing those Jaquindon Jackson scored for Arkansas
in the NFL Christian Barmore And oh you know what,
(01:04:12):
how could I forget? How could I miss this? Jonas
at the half? Alabama Leeds Mercer thirty one to seven.
Speaker 1 (01:04:20):
Is that the hall? Is that their homecoming game?
Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
I swear it, like I really do. Wonder if that's
their homecoming game? Because you don't want to lose on homecoming,
so you try and to schedule a soft one leader
in year it might.
Speaker 4 (01:04:30):
Be you know, this is like an s SEC thing
around this time of year. Let's schedule you know, FCS
school before our big one of the big rivalry games.
Speaker 1 (01:04:38):
But you know it was great though.
Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
I remember when I was doing radio and I lived
in South Carolina, so like Charleston Southern was the closest school,
like like was right up the road from my apartment.
Sure it's my like I lived in a complete dumb
but you know, it's all you can afford in that
market in radio at the time. And so like Charleston
Southern was the with the team that was up. And
(01:05:01):
I remember I think they played Florida and it was
when Tim Tebow was at Florida, so it was really
great Florida teams. And I'm almost positive the points spread
on that game was like Florida minus sixty two, Like
I swear I got to look that up because it
was historic, and I think they ended up winning like
(01:05:21):
seventy to nothing.
Speaker 5 (01:05:22):
I'm looking at a September fifth, two thousand and nine,
Florida sixty two Charleston Southern three.
Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
Yeah, and what was the point spread? It was something crazy, yeah,
because that was the first that was early in the season.
I think that was the first game of the season.
So they scheduled like a soft one there, and I
got the point spread was crazy. But I remember we
talked about that and it was like, well, at least
they scored three. So you know, if your mercer, you know,
you get on the board, feel good about yourselves and
take the money. You're getting paid for it.
Speaker 4 (01:05:50):
So at the half, you know, I just want to
know what the coach is saying at halftime. Guys, don't worry.
We're all getting paid for this.
Speaker 5 (01:05:57):
Missouri quarterback Brady Cook expected to be a game time
decision at South Carolina today.
Speaker 4 (01:06:01):
He has a wrist injury. He's going to go through
game time warm up to see how he feels.
Speaker 5 (01:06:05):
Christian Barmore for the New Land Patriots he should play tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (01:06:09):
He's activated up the non football illness list. Taikwan Thornton released.
Speaker 5 (01:06:14):
Patriots selected him in the second round in twenty twenty two.
Kadarius Tony activated from the Browns practice squad ahead of
Sunday's game against the Saints. Michael Mayer Raiders tight end
activated from the reserve NFI list prior to Sunday's game
as well. Jonas you're activated, pal back to you, all right,
So Martin check this out, talk to.
Speaker 1 (01:06:32):
Him before that game.
Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
In two thousand and nine, Florida and Charleston Southern to
open up the season. Florida was a seventy three points favorite. Yeoh,
shout out to Charleston's coves covering the spread, damn right,
and covering it by a pretty decent margin, Okay, by
about what fourteen points if the map is correct there,
They only lost by fifty nine, Like, so just for
(01:07:00):
people to just to get a grasp of that, basically,
what the what the odds are telling you is that
before anything happens, like before opening kick, before pregame, warm up,
before anything, Florida is leading seventy three to nothing like
that's unbelievable, literally literally unbelievable. And yet Charleston Southern got
(01:07:24):
on the board only lost by fifty nine. So congratulations
to everybody involved. If you bet on Charleston Southern back
in two thousand and nine, I mean, if you're you're
a degenerate to begin with, then you probably don't have
that money anyways, but congratulations, at least you're on the
right side of that thing. So it is final there
in Boulder forty nine twenty four, Colorado takes care of Utah,
and yeah, that feels like that's the that's the game
(01:07:46):
people are going to look back on and go When
did Travis Hunter clinch the Heisman? It was that game
November sixteenth against Utah at home on Fox in the
new Eastern time window, and the numbers on Travis Hunter.
Speaker 1 (01:08:01):
He had a five, so.
Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
They handed off to him. That was his offensive touchdown.
So Travis Hunter got into the end zone on a
carry and then he also had five catches for fifty
five yards. He also had a pick in this game
as well too, so Travis Hunter and a highlight catch
in the red zone for Colorado.
Speaker 1 (01:08:22):
As well too.
Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
That feels like that's the Heisman clincher for this year,
and congratulations, Travis Hunter probably took care of it there
with that performance against Utah. By the way, a lot
of positive feedback here on the show. Greg writes in
at the Jonas Knox you woke, soy boy, go be
(01:08:44):
like all your fellow f boys snowflakes in the sports
media and announced your joining Blue Sky because X is
too toxic like anybody, but your two bots give a
damn you bleep. Aaron rights in, Hey, Jonas, I see
why you can give such a great analogy of the
(01:09:05):
Bears organization being a corpse because every Saturday morning you
roll into the tiraq dot com studios and offer us
a sports radio show done by a malignant zombie. Tony
writes in Nothing Jonas wants more than a Jake Paul
(01:09:26):
Mike Tyson sandwich getting bleeped out and bleeped out on
both ends while you're being bleeped by their bleeps, you
bleep bleep bot. Jason writes in Jony Jyoff never got
more bleep to bleep yourself, Oh more than you getting
(01:09:48):
that luscious iron Mike Tyson ashhot to go wild on
bleeping your bleep like the bleep you are. I get
through that clean, Christ.
Speaker 7 (01:10:04):
See no call on the uh on the phone. Here,
We're good, We're good. That was very close, very close.
I was you used to see me hugging the dump
button module.
Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
Sean wrote in uh and called me a boardop bitch.
So there is that. Well then I'll fight Sean. Well,
listen Sean first of all, technical producer, please please respectful,
and for everything else you said, yeah, you're probably right,
all right.
Speaker 1 (01:10:30):
At the Joonas knocks, I'll listen.
Speaker 2 (01:10:32):
I'll try and retweet some of those, but I don't
know if I can because those are pretty, uh, pretty graphic,
and I don't think anybody wants to see Mike Tyson's
ass like they did last night on Netflix. I don't.
Speaker 1 (01:10:42):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
By the way, if there was ever a time that
there was going to be buffering, that might have been
the time. All right, so let's get.
Speaker 1 (01:10:48):
Into this yere.
Speaker 2 (01:10:49):
By the way, Knox Locks coming up here, speaking of
bad Knox locks is coming up here in about ten
minutes from now here from the tyraq dot com studios.
Like I was thinking to myself, Man, if there was
gonna be a year, like at some point the Bills
have got to beat the Chiefs, right, at some point,
it's got to happen, And it feels like this weekend
(01:11:09):
would be the weekend for that to happen. And then
you go back and you look and you go, well, no,
that's not really been the issue for Buffalo, Like they
can beat Kansas City in the regular season, they just
can't do it in the playoffs, and I don't know
if that's how this thing shapes up. It's a monster game,
it's the game of the weekend. But it does feel
like if there's gonna be a year you were gonna
do it, this was gonna be the year. The other
one that is amazing to me, just considering everything that
(01:11:34):
he's done this year, last year in his career, Lamar
jackson struggles against the Pittsburgh Steelers are mind boggling. He's
one in three against Pittsburgh in his career and seventeen
and five against everybody else in the division. It almost
(01:11:55):
doesn't even make sense. And the part that's strange about
it is the fact that he's only played them four times.
So if you go back and look at Lamar Jackson's
history in twenty eighteen, the Ravens had already played Pittsburgh
twice before he became the starter. In twenty nineteen, he
(01:12:17):
beat Pittsburgh in Week five and overtime, but then didn't
play in the finale because Baltimore had wrapped.
Speaker 1 (01:12:24):
Up in the number one seed.
Speaker 2 (01:12:27):
In twenty twenty, he lost to the Steelers in Week eight,
but then he missed the second meeting because he got COVID.
In twenty twenty one, he lost to the Steelers in
Week thirteen, did Lamar Jackson, and then missed the second
meeting because of an ankle injury. Lamar Jackson missed both
games in twenty twenty two because of a knee injury,
(01:12:47):
and then last year he lost to the Steelers in
Week five but didn't play in the finale because Baltimore
had wrapped up the number one seed, much like they
did back in twenty nineteen. The whole thing doesn't make sense,
but it does. I feel like, man, at some point
you're gonna right the wrong right, and then you look
at Baltimore and go no. But like Baltimore has these
(01:13:07):
games every so often where it feels like you know
who they are, and then a Cleveland game happens where
they lose something like that. So as much as we
could sit here and look at Baltimore and Buffalo and say, man,
this weekend like this, no, in Buffalo's case, this hasn't
been the problem. It's just been the postseason against Kansas City,
and in Baltimore's case, this has been the problem. Lamar
(01:13:31):
Jackson just can't beat Pittsburgh outside of the one time
he did it in twenty nineteen in overtime. Jonas Knox
here Fox Sports Radio again at the Jonas Knox on X.
Coming up next here though, we are going to close

That is at the Jonas n on X at the
(01:15:01):
Jonas Knocks on X. But right now it's time for.
Speaker 1 (01:15:04):
This lock it. Let's lock it and now and now
Knox locks all right, so let's get to it.
Speaker 2 (01:15:12):
Huh. I'm not proud of it, but it happened. Went
owned three last week.
Speaker 3 (01:15:21):
Now.
Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
You know you're probably thinking if you tuned in the
last week as well too. When I was making these picks,
I was gloating because the week prior I went three
and oh and I was back at five hundred for
the year, and now I'm three games below five hundred.
But let's go ahead and assess what happened here. A right, So,
if I'm gonna get blamed for this and I'm going
to get my balls broken for this, so should these
three teams that didn't carry there into the bargain. The
(01:15:41):
Bears minus six against the Patriots. Upon further review, they're
worse than I thought, totally outclassed by New England. Drake
May completely outplayed Caleb Williams like they were dismantled.
Speaker 1 (01:15:58):
So apparently there's.
Speaker 2 (01:16:00):
A long running tradition here on this show to where
if I make a pick and a team loses a
game they shouldn't lose, then there's like a coach that
gets fired. I think it happened with you know, Dennis
Allen and the Saints. I think I had Dennis Allen,
and I think I also might have picked you know,
the Jets, and then Robert Sala got by. The point is, like,
(01:16:22):
you know, apparently there's a little bit of a dark
cloud that hovers above teams when I pick them and
for their coaches the following week if they lose. And
that played out again last week and Shane Waldron was
out the door after I picked the Bears minus six
is the first game in the Knox Locks for week eleven,
So that was a loss. I also had the Jets
minus one and a half against the Cardinals, And let
(01:16:44):
me tell you, like as much as yeah, that's a loss,
I've been trying to tell people about Arizona all year long.
So the fact that I picked against myself, it should
only count as a half loss because I've been telling
people about the Cardinals for weeks now and I think
I should get.
Speaker 1 (01:16:58):
Some credit for that.
Speaker 2 (01:16:59):
But I'm out of my word and I'm gonna take
this on the chin, and so I'll take that one
as well too.
Speaker 1 (01:17:05):
And then the Rams, like what the hell was that?
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
Like the Rams and the Patriots both are coming off
what the hell was that week's but for two different reasons.
Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
For New England's case, like what the hell was that?
You actually beat the Bears last week?
Speaker 2 (01:17:20):
And for the Rams case, like that Monday night football
debacle against Miami. They were totally asleep at the wheel,
completely blown opportunity. But the point of the story is
zero to three in week ten.
Speaker 1 (01:17:32):
But we are back for more here in week eleven.
Speaker 2 (01:17:35):
I thought the Browns at Saints, I don't get this one.
I really don't. New Orleans is at home and they're
getting a point and a half. Why Cleveland stinks? Like,
I really, I don't know what was it?
Speaker 7 (01:17:49):
Like?
Speaker 2 (01:17:49):
If people want to talk like Jameis Winston revenge game
for what, it's not like he's got a statue outside
the Superdome, but here we are. So for that reason
and that reason, I'm gonna take the Saints in this spot,
Darren Rizzy. I mean, it feels like they got something
moving there, feels like they got some energy in the building.
The guy clogged the toilet last week, who the hell
(01:18:10):
knows what he's got going on this week. Maybe we'll
go up for deck on that bad boy. Point is
I'll take the Saints here. Getting a point in half
at home. Falcons and Broncos.
Speaker 1 (01:18:21):
Atlanta is really really frustrating. You just can't figure him out.
Speaker 2 (01:18:25):
Like you see him one week and they're losing to
New Orleans, and then you see him the next week
and all of a sudden, they're getting two points on
the road at Denver. Look, Denver's a great story. I
like what the Broncos are doing. I like bon Nicks,
I like that defense. I'm happy for Sean Payton and company.
But I look at this as a get right game
for the Atlanta Falcons, a bounce back off that crummy
(01:18:48):
performance from a week ago. I'm gonna take Atlanta getting
a couple of points on the road. She said, Bills,
you know what they say, do not bet against Patrick
mahone when he is a betting underdog.
Speaker 1 (01:19:03):
You know what I say, screw you.
Speaker 2 (01:19:05):
Time and place gotta happen at some point or another,
So I'm gonna take Buffalo minus two at home. The
Bills have never had an issue, as we laid out,
beating Kansas City in the regular season. It's always the
postseason that's the problem. This is the regular season. I
think the Bills get it done tomorrow. And that is
your week eleven edition of Knox Locks.
Speaker 4 (01:19:27):
Knocks.
Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
For Chris, for Patrick, for Martin, thanks for hanging out
with us here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (01:19:34):
All from the tyrack dot com Studios. Jonas the Son
