Speaker 2 (00:03):
Jonas Knocks.
Speaker 3 (00:04):
You thought you knew me. You didn't know a thing
about me.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
He's crazier than air else wrecked that guy, Jonas Knocks,
you heard me the brain some darkness is lighting up
your speakers to establish an alibi for the day. No
Live from the Fox Sports Radio studios, here's Jonas Knox.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Y Okay, I'll be partless world. You know, there's just
(00:47):
some things that you can't take all that seriously. I mean,
even in the world of sports, even the sports we love,
some things you can't take all that seriously. We'll get
into that while you're coming up here in just a
couple of moments from now Jonas Knox, Fox Sports Radio.
You can listen to this show as always on the
(01:08):
iHeartRadio app. You can find us on hundreds of affiliates
all across the country and wherever you are making us
a part of your Saturday morning into the afternoon, we
appreciate you doing so. We will be taking you all
the way up until four pm Eastern time, one o'clock Pacific,
and we have got some things to discuss here, and
we've got some things to discuss that should not be
(01:30):
taken seriously moving forward, This Lloyd Howe, executive director of
the NFLPA story is hilarious. It's just hilarious because, like
you just dig back and peel back the layers of
it and you go, how can anybody excuse this? So
(01:55):
it comes out during the week that Lloyd Howe, the
executive director of the NFLPA, that he he's working as
a paid part time consultant for the Carlisle Group, which
is a select group, a one of select group of
league approved private equity firms now seeking minority ownership in
(02:15):
NFL franchises. All right, so let's just go ahead and
just get to the basics here. The guy who's supposed
to be representing the NFL Players Association works as a
consultant part time for a group that's been approved by
the owners as one of the private equity firms looking
(02:36):
for ownership in NFL franchises. Do you notice the conflict
of interest there? Do you notice that there might be
some people might have some issues with that? You know,
seems a little suspect. If you represent us, why are
you working for them? Seems a little weird. If you
represent us, why are you doing that? Seems kind of strange.
(03:01):
It just seems odd. Sorry, it would be like your
wife sworn enemy, the woman she hates the most, and
you think it's a good idea to have her as
a roommate. What do you think? Kinda maybe a problem there.
(03:25):
And then you've got and the NFLPA, by the way,
they're defending him. Oh, listen, it was vetted. We looked
into this. There's a report out from the Athletic five
people with knowledge of the situations. They disputed the portion
of the ESPN report. They claimed there was a report
that claimed that a union lawyer told Howell he had
(03:46):
to resign or encouraged him to resign. Now they're saying
that didn't happen. The Athletic goes on to say that
sources with knowledge of the situation said that when it
became a parent that they would have an opportunity to
invest in the nfl his group. Discussions about Howe's position
with the firm took place, and the NFLPA. Sources said
that Howells consulted with lawyers for the NFLPA and the
(04:08):
Carlisle Group. Both legal teams determined that Howe's work with
aerospace and Defense was far enough removed from the side
of business that would work with the NFL, that he
wasn't at risk of a conflict of interest. What do
you mean he works for them? Yeah, but it's like
way far down the list. That's not the point. That
(04:33):
isn't a you're in the building, you can't you know,
this is a problem. You're in the building, you work
part time in the building that you shouldn't be working
at if you represent somebody else. And for some reason, No,
we're just gonna defend it at all costs. And here's
(04:55):
exactly why. And I've made this point before, This is
exactly why the NFLPA loses every negotiation when it comes
to these collective bargaining agreements disputes with the league. You
cannot take them serious anymore. It's over. And I don't
know how many people actually took them serious. But this
(05:19):
on top of Demorris Smith saying he'd rather walk into
traffic than talk to Aaron Rodgers. Again, guy running the
PA saying that about one of the people he's supposed
to represent, said it in writing in his own book.
Then you've got JC trettor ripping Russell Wilson because of
(05:42):
how he handled is guaranteed. It's like, how much more
could you possibly need?
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (05:49):
And all of this comes on the heels of the
fact that the NFLPA finally filed an appeal. Even though
there was overwhelming evidence that owns colluded to try and
prevent guaranteed contracts to be handed out to quarterbacks following
the Deshaun Watson contract, the NFLPA finally appealed that decision.
(06:12):
The problem is that decision was made in January, and
the only reason you appealed it now is because the
evidence came out. The transcripts came out courtesy of Pablo
Torre from that arbitration meeting, like like, how can anybody
take this serious? Like I don't want to hear anything
(06:36):
about what the NFLPA is gonna do. I don't want
to hear anything about, Oh, they're enough is enough, and
we're gonna stand our ground this time. It looks like
everybody's in this together. And I've and I made this
point during the week, and again the layers of this
just come out daily and it gets worse looking for
the NFLPAS the days go by. And I made this
(06:57):
point earlier this week. I can remember where I was
when my brother said to me, and I asked him
a question about Democrats or Republicans or something along those lines.
I still remember this to this day, and I was
a teenager, and I remember him saying, Hey, man, there's
no Democrats, there's no Republicans. It's the same a hole
(07:18):
in a different suit. That's it. And then you start
to see stuff go on and you go, well, who's
working with who? And are they representing us? If I'm
a player in the NFL, like, don't invite me to
these meetings anymore. Don't waste my time with this stuff.
This whole thing is a circus. It's a clown show
(07:40):
and it shouldn't be taken serious. At the Jonas Knocks
on X, at the Jonas Knox on X and you
can find us on Instagram as well too at Jonas
Knox Show. All right, So something else that should not
be taken serious, all right, something else that should not
be taken serious. All Star Games, Pro Bowls, stuff like that.
(08:01):
You know, they just shouldn't because the fact of the
matter is they're exhibitions, their showcases, if you will, for
the best of the best. But we find ourselves in
a spot where certain people take this stuff very very serious,
even though they shouldn't. They take it very serious. Now,
(08:23):
I will say this, Major League Baseball's All Star Game
is the best of any of them. And it's not
even close because it's the most realistic. Because in football
you can't just light anybody up anymore. Sean Taylor did
it at a Pro Bowl Hawaii years ago. We don't
really ever see that again. That's it. In basketball, they
(08:46):
don't even want to be there. Half those guys are hungover.
They're trying to nickel and dime their way through some
different format. And Adam Silver's coming up with this and
coming up. But as far as and even look at
Hockey's All Star Game, it a great like it's you know,
like highlighted, like guys scoring eight goals, and it's just
(09:07):
Major League Baseball has the best because it's the most realistic,
because you can play that in an exhibition way and
it still look and resembles something similar to what you
see one hundred and sixty two times a year for months.
But when you see the outrage because Jacob Miserowski got
(09:31):
selected to the All Star Game because he made five
starts and apparently they needed another arm, and you know,
guys from the Phillies are upset because their pitcher didn't
get in because you know, he wasn't available, and that's
one of the requirements. And Missowski gets in and Nick
Castianos goes on to say this quote, it's turning into
(09:53):
the Savannah bananas. Major League Baseball is really just focusing
on the most marketable players. So the fact that they
can and have somebody in that game that is going
to basically blow out one inning and throw one oh three,
one oh four, they're going to get more eyeballs on baseball.
They're going to think it's getting more popular. End quote.
Guess what, probably right, He's probably right that, yes, major
(10:17):
League Baseball wants as many eyeballs on it as possible.
Here's what else is true. The All Star Game in
Major League Baseball ceased to be taken seriously, much like
the NFLPA, when the All Star Game in Major League
Baseball decided that every team needed a representative. Every team
got to have a representative everyone. When that came out
(10:41):
right then and there by definition, oh that's an exhibition
and that's a showcase because every team needs to be
represented in the All Star Game, because every fan base
needs to be able to see their favorite team represented.
I got news for you. I grew up a Cubs
fan my life. They sucked out loud and most of
(11:03):
my life probably didn't deserve an All Star And it's
real neat that I can tune in and watch somebody
bat in two thirty eight with four home runs and
thirty eight RBIs or whatever it is get into the
All Star Game because he represents my team. But it's
not really. It's just a little different. But that's the
(11:26):
All Star Game. So people up in arm about up
in arms about all this stuff because Missowski gets in
and he's only appeared in five games and he's got
twenty five innings pitched, and other guys deserve this, and
other guys deserve that. I got. You totally get it.
Space is limited. You don't like that one guy got
in and another guy, but dude, it is an exhibition.
(11:48):
It's a realistic exhibition. It looks real, but it's not
actually an actual game. It's like professional wrestling. Professional wrestling's
not fake. It's just not full contact. They're hitting each other,
just not as hard as they could. That's what the
All Star Game is. So for everybody up in arms
(12:10):
about the selection and Misowski getting in and this guy
deserved this and that guy did. Dude, every team has
to have a representative that right there gave you the
intel and the information. You can't take it this seriously.
It's an incredible honor and if a guy gets in,
he should be celebrated for life. That should be the
(12:32):
first thing that you mentioned. Made an All Star Game.
And I'll be watching and I watch it every year
and it's fun as hell. I'll watch it my son.
It's great. But it's an exhibition at the Jonas Knocks
on X at the Jonas Knocks on X and you
can get me on Instagram as well too at Jonas
knock Show. So we are gonna have the usuals coming up.
Later on, we'll have another edition of Do You Care.
(12:55):
We are also gonna have the Scraps. It's a two
hour extravaganza on this Saturday morning into the afternoon. And
somebody in the world of sports finally got a taste
of their own medicine. I'll tell you who it is next.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
From Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio. Coming up, we'll call
it a little over ten minutes from now. Somebody's got
an idea on how things could change and improve in
the world of football. They got an idea, and I
(14:28):
agree with them. You'll hear those coming up here again
a little over ten minutes from now on FSR. So,
there was a story that came out yesterday and actually
really well done. Ramona Shelburne. Brian Windhorst of VESPN wrote
a column detailing sort of the transition from Lebron to
(14:49):
Luca as the face of the franchise for the Lakers,
and they detailed sort of meetings that happened during the season,
moves that were made, dinners that have happened after the season.
Going to Craigs in La and Luca went through the
back door, and they went through the front door, and
they all came out together, and you know, to basically
(15:10):
set the tone that hey, this is going to be
Luca's franchise moving forward. This is a transitional phase. And
one of the notes in there that's getting a little
bit of run is the fact that they gave Lebron,
or they gave Luca rather notice of the ownership change
and the sale of the team, but they didn't really
extend that to Lebron, and that there's been communication constantly
(15:34):
with Luca and not so much with Lebron, which might
be why Luca congratulated them on the sale of the
team on social media and Lebron did not, etc. Etc.
And so you see all this and you go, all right,
so they're making moves and not telling Lebron. They're doing
things to basically hand over the organization or the face
(15:58):
of the organization to Luca without telling Lebron. There's like
all these things that are happening and they're not filling
in Lebron on any of this stuff. And you take
a step back and you go, oh, so they're Lebron
and Lebron because that's what he's been doing for two
(16:18):
decades to you name it. Fill in a coach who
got fired after he got there, fill in a player
who got traded once he got there, fill in a
move at an organization, take your pick, pick a card,
any card, And it all led back to something Lebron wanted,
(16:42):
communication that he had the ability to get those things
done when nobody else inside that organization could other than him.
And now all of these years later, it's all ending
up the opposite to where now he's on the outside
looking at and the organization is turning things over to Luca.
(17:03):
And I got news for you. They've been probably looking
for a way to do this for quite some time.
Because if you want to be real about it, if
you want to know the truth about how things are
going out here in Southern California. When it comes to Lebron,
Laker fans have never totally embraced him. They just haven't.
They adored Kobe, They still love Kobe. Kobe was theirs
(17:30):
Lebron mercenary. Appreciate it. Listen, you know, I mean he
helped the organization, not diminishing what he's done in La,
not diminishing it. Been here for a few years, got
them back to their winning, winning ways. They went to
the playoffs a couple of times, missed the playoffs, playing
(17:52):
tournament Bubble Championship in season. Listen, like he at least
he got them back to where they could be respected.
But he was never totally embraced by Lakers fans. He
just wasn't. He was never embraced the way that other
players have in this town, most notably Kobe or Magic. Ever,
(18:15):
and he was never going to. And so they've been
probably trying to figure out a way to transition the
team in a smart way over to somebody else for
a while. Look, Anthony Davis was brought in, and he
was thought to be the heir apparent to Lebron, that hey,
you pair these guys up, they'll do big things. And
then once Lebron starts to fade away or walks away
(18:37):
from the game, Anthony Davis is going to take over.
He's younger, He's got all the skill set in the world.
The problem is he couldn't stay healthy. You couldn't depend
on him. And so when the opportunity came up to
land Luca in a deal, however that got done, and
whoever knew about that, because apparently Lebron didn't know about
it until shortly before the deal got it, whatever, whoever
(19:00):
side you believe on any of this stuff, Once they
saw an opportunity to acquire somebody like Luca with his
talent at his age, and they could rid themselves of
having to constantly cater to Lebron and go to him
to try. Once they realized that was a possibility, oh
we're good here. Do you know the sigh of relief
(19:23):
that was probably going through that place when they acquired Luca,
because part of it was, man, we've got a superstar
player in his prime, and the other part of it
was and now we can start to shift gears and
maybe this upcoming year they're not going to be a
legitimate title contender. I don't think they are they'll be
in the conversation, but probably a five or six seed. Dude,
(19:46):
they don't care like there. This is listen, Lebron opted in.
We're paying him fifty two to six after this, sweet,
have fun, Thank you, appreciate it, and whatever you decide
to do, you go do. But this has probably been
in the works for a little while. They were just
trying to find the soft landing to make it happen,
(20:07):
and once Luca became available, that was it. The clock
started ticking, the sand in the hourglass started running down,
and Lebron's time in LA was numbered and his days
were numbered. But you look at it and you go, man,
they're not even telling them about these things, and they're
making all these moves and they're, well, yeah, it's the
(20:29):
same thing he's done for years. When he went back
to Cleveland, all of a sudden bunch of moves had
to be made because he didn't want to play with
certain guys. Okay, even before that, when he was in Miami,
walked into Pat Riley's office eleven games into the season
something like that and asked for there to be a
(20:51):
coaching change. Didn't want Spolster there anymore. Pat Riley's the
one guy who told him to kick Rocks, get out
of here. Not happening. He's your coach, deal with it.
But you can go through players, traded, moves made, coaches
fired at every step along the way, and he's orchestrated
(21:12):
all of it with a direct line of communication and
direct power in the organization. And all of a sudden,
all these years later, that same thing is happening, but
it's not happening because of him. It's happening to him.
So ultimately, when the move to bring in Luca took
place and all of these subsequent moves started to come
(21:33):
out and all these stories started to come out, the
Lakers were just doing what probably a lot of other
people had been wanting to do for a long time.
They Lebron Lebron. Bottom line, also, this guarantees you he
won't retire after this year, because there's not a shot
in hell. He doesn't want to go out on his
own terms with another organization with something to prove guaranteed.

(22:39):
get into that for you here on FSR, but for
all the latest from around the world of sports. Ladies

the magnificent Isaac Lawn.
Speaker 6 (23:02):
Thank you, and I hope you don't mind, but I'd
like to skip the usual repartee today for what's coming up.
It's just one of these delicious things that I know
that you and particularly the caliber of your audience will
really be interested in if I could put it that way. Okay, okay,
(23:23):
does that work for you?
Speaker 3 (23:24):
All right?
Speaker 4 (23:25):
That coming up in just moments.
Speaker 6 (23:26):
But first Ladies Singles final in Wimbledon today, dominant performance
by Poland's Ego Triantec against American Amanda Anisimova. Here's how
match points sounded on radio Wimbledon.
Speaker 7 (23:37):
Fullhand from Schrionce down the center, fullhand down the censer
from Anisimova.
Speaker 8 (23:41):
It's a winner from Egoschriontec who.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
Falls to her back.
Speaker 8 (23:47):
Clinical, ruthless, merciless, brilliant. Ego Schweontec is Wimbleland champion for
the first time. It's a double bagel from Ego Schweontec.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
You can go for a double bagel right now anyway.
Speaker 6 (24:02):
In Major League Baseball, the Cubs have a four to
nothing lead over the Yankees, going to the bottom of
the fifth and get Yankee Stadium.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
I have a question for you. Can you do Wimbledon
radio if you're not British?
Speaker 4 (24:13):
No, No, you're actually not allowed to.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Could Eli gold the Alabama?
Speaker 6 (24:19):
Oh? Absolutely, Eli Gold could do anything, but but they won't.
They won't let It's it's more stringent than that actually,
because i've actually, oddly that you mentioned this, looked into this.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
You not only have to be British, you also have to.
Speaker 6 (24:37):
Be technically an OBE, which is Officer of the Order
of the British Empire. There's it's kind of like the
London taxi driver exam, like you have to memorize all
the streets in London, like every alleyway. It's very, very
very stringent. Okay. I've tried to, like, you know, slide
(25:00):
into their DMS if you will, and say that I'm
an Officer of the Order of the British Empire, but it
didn't work.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
What about Jeane Decorov? Could Jean decro Off have called absolutely,
he could do it, great, but I'm just saying they
wouldn't allow it. The Sorny Williams with another grants, I'm
I'm done just saying uh and I think you know
radio you also have to have a British sounding name
like Alistair or you know something like that. Yeah, Like
(25:30):
so Jonas Knox wouldn't cut it. I want somebody who
calls games in the South. I want them to go
to to wimbled.
Speaker 4 (25:36):
I would I would too, it just ain't gonna happen.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
Well, I would love to see them just sit I
would love to see the reaction to You know, some
somebody who calls high school games in Tuscaloosa sitting there
at Wimbledon calling the final, and next to him he's got,
like all his notes, he's got a pencil, and not
a pen just an old school number two pencil, not
even the mechanical time kind, just an old school one
(26:01):
that he's been using to write with during games for years.
He's got a spotter. And then next to him he's got.
Speaker 6 (26:06):
Why would you need to spotter when he's got the
players in tense?
Speaker 3 (26:10):
He's got a spell because he's called football games, so
he needs to spotter, and he's got he's got a
cup that's a spitter, and he's got a horseshoe of
kodiak in on the bottom, and then in between sets
he moves it from the bottom to the top so
that you can catch a buzz evenly in both on
both sides of his mouth.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
By the way, this is a this is a true story.
Speaker 6 (26:31):
The late great dick Enberg is you know he used
to do Wimbledon for so many years with NBC and
before they renovated there, the setup was a little different.
They would call the matches from court side bunkers, and
the way it was was sometimes Enburg had to call
a match at a different court on his monitor while
another match was going on in front of him, and
(26:53):
it was very exciting the match he was calling on
the different cord, and a very prim and proper British
woman nearby got irritated and annoyed at him, basically ruining
her experience of watching the match. That she went over
and rapped on the window of his booth with her
umbrella or as they call it, a bumber shoot like
(27:16):
this to tell him to.
Speaker 4 (27:17):
Tone it down.
Speaker 6 (27:18):
And when she was walking away, she was heard to
be muttering and I quote the noisy colonists unquote true story.
Speaker 4 (27:25):
By the way, Wait, what.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
Do you call it, British umbrella?
Speaker 4 (27:28):
A bumber shoot?
Speaker 3 (27:30):
Really? Yes, a bumber shoot?
Speaker 4 (27:33):
What I thought, there's a common knowledge hype.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
Not for me. We live in California. First of all,
it doesn't rain. Secondly, we don't have bumber shoots.
Speaker 6 (27:45):
So if I said, pardon me, but would you have
any Gray Poupond.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
Would you understand that? Yeah, because I've seen the commercial.
I've never seen a commercial for bumber Shoots. Bumber Shoots.
What a douchey name for an umbrella.
Speaker 4 (27:58):
That's what it is over there across the pun. So
here's where we're going.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
We're going. It's porn out there. Don't forget your bumper shoot.
We're going ass mom.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
You have actually said that, by the way.
Speaker 6 (28:09):
Uh, we actually are spanning the globe with this one
because we went to Great Britain. Now we're going to
Canada because this is the peace still le resistants Jonas. Finally,
we have a drunken golf brawl update. Now this week
a viral video emerge. Are you familiar with this?
Speaker 3 (28:28):
Uh? Yeah, this guy got thrown in the lake. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (28:30):
So, a viral video emerged of a brawl at a
golf course in Canada in which a drunk golfer challenged
another golfer to a fight. Unfortunately for the drunk golfer,
the other golfer was former National Hockey League enforcer Nick Tarnaski.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
Oh yeah, and.
Speaker 6 (28:47):
He mister Tarnaski, perhaps not surprisingly, delivered a decisive beating
that included Tarnaski, shouting bang with every punch landed and
then tossing the gentleman into the aforementioned water hazard. Jonas Overnight,
the drunk golfer in question, has issued an apology via
his Instagram, and it is the most Canadian apology ever.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
Listen, yep, that's me, guys, the guy that got a
drop like a bucket of balls in a pond.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
Down My finest moment.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
I know, looks real bad. Played thirty six holes of golf.
Speaker 5 (29:26):
We drank way too much.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
And my mouf ran faster in their dream.
Speaker 6 (29:31):
All jokes aside, Guys, I'd like to apologize to the
folks on the course.
Speaker 9 (29:36):
Anyone caught up in it, and anyone who had to deal.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
With me that day.
Speaker 10 (29:41):
I lost my cool and I've learned from it.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
Just one of those days where you should have kept
the card on the path, you know, stay hydrated, keep
your stick on the ice.
Speaker 6 (29:50):
Game stick eighteen now here to break down the drunken
Canadian golfer Instagram apology, Jonas knocks back to Jonas, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
That's true, hockey player, because he's like, yeah, I got
my ass whooped. Whatever, Hey, you live in me, learn
you know. Next time, like, get the moral of that story.
Most people, most people would have that video come out
and they'd never live it down, Like they would never
live it down, and they'd go into hiding. This guy's like, yeah,
that was me. I got my ass whooped, you know,
(30:19):
and the moral and what the lesson he learned was.
Next time, I'll just.
Speaker 11 (30:23):
Play eighteen holes, like not like, hey, you know, next time,
you know, I won't shoot my mouth off or try
and fight a guy who's six x eight or anything
like that.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
Now, just I just play eighteen holes next time. Still drink,
Still bend the elbow, Still lick the lid, Still get
on the liver lube, get on that barf water. But
I'm only gonna do it for eighteen holes and then
I'll go someplace afterwards. That's a Canadian That's how it
should be. That is hockey culture. That's brilliant.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
I don't think I've ever been prouder of our neighbors
to the north.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (30:59):
By the way, that's a liverloube. That was a good,
nice new term.
Speaker 6 (31:04):
Well, I mean, you know, I've I mean, you don't
know bumber shoot, but you know your synonyms for alcoholic
consumption well, I told you so.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
I have a buddy who's an alcoholic. He's a golfer,
and so we call him Rephil Michelson. That's good because
that's good because he just can't stop drinking.
Speaker 6 (31:24):
Look, I look forward to his upcoming drunken viral golf
brawl video as well.
Speaker 3 (31:31):
Like I got dropped like a book at a ball. Yeah,
you know, I got the pisbeed out of me. It's okay,
It'll play tea next time. That's that is hockey culture.
That's why people love hockey. At the Jonahs Knocks On
X at the Jonahs Knocks On X, Thank you, Ilo,
and you can get me on Instagram at Jonas knock Show.
(31:53):
All right, so coming up, we are going to tell
you about somebody in the world of football who wants
some changes to be made, all right, and one of
them I have been demanding for years on this network.
Find out what it is right here on FSR Jonas
Knox Fox Sports Radio. We're gonna have another edition of
(32:15):
Do You Care coming up here in just a moment
top of next hour, about fifteen minutes from now. There's
also something else in the NFL that you can't really
take all that seriously. We talked about the NFLPA at
this point, you can't really take them seriously. This move
that took place in the NFL recently, you can't really
(32:36):
take that one seriously either. We'll get into that for
you again a little over fifteen minutes from now. Positive
feedback so far in the show, Joe writes in Cup
of Jay off another Saturday of recycled Aaron Rodgers takes.
If Aaron puts a little Mayo on a few Glizzies,
you'd beat Chestnut. Jeffrey Epstein's guards were listening to up
(32:56):
on game left the radio on and Epstein couldn't take
it anymore. I'd prefer WNBA updates at the Jonas Knox
on X at the Jonas Knox on X and you
can see all the unedited versions of all of those
on Instagram throughout the course of the show at Jonas
(33:17):
Knox Show right now, though it is time for this.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
There are so many stories in the world of sports,
and most of them are a complete waste of time.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
DMG reports.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
Let's get kinky. Here's some of the big stories from
the last week. But Jonas, the real question is do
you care?
Speaker 3 (33:37):
And for that we turn it over to our executive
producer Bo Benson to find out what the hell people
have been talking about. Bo.
Speaker 10 (33:43):
Colorado head coach Dion Sanders was at Big twelve media
days where he had this to say.
Speaker 9 (33:48):
I like the professional rules to be implemented in college.
They're getting ready to be pros.
Speaker 5 (33:53):
So let's let's go two feet in, you know, on
the catches, let's mark the file if the pants interference,
let's the same thing the pro game is.
Speaker 9 (34:02):
Let's doce it to college.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
Oh yeah, listen, I've been saying this for the long. Yes,
I definitely care about this because I can understand why
you want there to be some differences between college football
and the NFL. I can kind of understand that. But
there are enough differences between college football and the NFL.
Case in point, there's like two hundred Division I college
football teams, right, so there's enough. Like right there, there's
(34:27):
enough and all the varying degrees of conferences and whatnot
that you get. But when it comes to something like that,
why is a catch different than it would be at
the next level. Wouldn't you want to get them ready
for that at the next level. And it's not like
if you're good enough, you're not going to be able
(34:48):
to do it. I just don't know why you wouldn't
just make that universal, Like, why wouldn't you just make
it to where Because there's sometimes I'll be watching so
much college football and then I'll get to an NFL
game the next day and I'll find myself going, how's
that another catch?
Speaker 11 (35:02):
You got? Oh?
Speaker 3 (35:03):
No, Number one is two feet in. It's weird that
there's this difference between the two, Dion. I'm right there
with you, man, I'm right there with you. Hopefully they'll
change it sometime soon next.
Speaker 10 (35:14):
And Dominic and Sue announced his retirement this morning from
the NFL after thirteen seasons. Jonas, do you care?
Speaker 3 (35:20):
Yeah, great career, probably real argument to be a Hall
of Famer. I think a three time All Pro, won
a Super Bowl obviously with Tampa Bay, ended up as
a defensive tackle. He ended up with like over seventy
sacks in his career, and was just sort of a
mercenary one year contract guy. Financially hit it out of
(35:40):
the park. And to do it on the year anniversary
of when his dad passed away in a touching tribute
to his father, I thought was awesome hopefully and Dominican
Sue gets into the Hall of Fame. But you know,
a complicated story because of all the penalties. It took
place early on Let's Go Live. Do I have a
thought on Dominicansou insider Chris Praphert for the latest Chris.
Speaker 9 (35:58):
I'm glad you say that. As a Lions fan, I
love him. I just need to ask you, do you
think he should have been the Heisman winner? Because I
think he had the best chance of anyone of a
defensive player that year, and I believe that was the year.
Was that the mark Ingram Heisman? I don't remember, but
I just remember he came in third and like cold
(36:18):
McCoy was in front of him, and he was like
destroying Colt McCoy in that in that Big twelve title game.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
Yeah, and I wonder about that because Warren Sap I
think got some votes as well too when he was
coming out or his final year at Miami. I just
you're gonna have to be really, really dominant, and today's
passing offense and you know, high profile quarterback and all
that stuff. I just wonder if we're ever going to
(36:45):
see it. I don't know the way ever will No.
I think he was our last shot. I think he was,
but there was a legitimate opportunity there.
Speaker 10 (36:51):
Next, Eli Manning has passed on buying an ownership stake
in the New York Giants, saying that it was too
expensive for him. Jonas, do you care?
Speaker 3 (36:59):
No, I couldn't cary that. He's got enough money. He's
got enough money. He's got like fifteen production companies. He's got,
you know, all the money he made as an NFL player.
He's a Manning, He's got enough. Like this does nothing
for me.
Speaker 10 (37:11):
Next, Chargers running back Naujie Harris injured his eye in
a fireworks accident over the July fourth weekend. Jonas, do
you care?
Speaker 3 (37:19):
Yeah? I don't get it. I really don't understand. I
don't know how many times people have to see a
story come out or an incident come out where something
goes wrong. We just we talked last week about it,
open up the show, saying, man, people can't help themselves.
And it wasn't even just a like a sports take,
just in general, people can't help themselves. You've got amateurs
(37:42):
who think they're pyrotechnic professors and they're gonna be able
to dude, you've got a box of explosives and you've
got people that don't know what they're doing. I don't know.
Seems like kind of a terrible idea. And you would think,
especially with what happened to Jason Pierre Paul and all
of that, and all the other issues and injuries and
(38:04):
stuff that have popped up, when it comes to people
playing with fireworks, you would think somebody in his position,
who's signing a one year deal to prove that he
can still be a high caliber player in the NFL
would stay far enough away from that. Maybe he was
off in the background and something shot in his direction.
But if anybody starts lighting off fireworks, I'm out. I've
seen enough videos and enough evidence of things going wrong,
(38:27):
and especially where we are in southern California with wildfires
that spread. When somebody throws a cigarette out of a
car on a highway. Seen that before one eighteen Freeway.
Somebody throws a cigarette out of the car window. It
starts a fire because everything's so dry out here. Get
a grip. Stop playing with explosives. Next.
Speaker 10 (38:46):
Shay Giljes, Alexander Carmelo, Anthony, and Angel Reese were named
as the cover athletes for this year's edition of NBA
two K Jonas. Do you care?
Speaker 3 (38:54):
No, I don't care. I don't care for me. I mean,
the only thing that this does for me is that
what's so sort of outrage it causes when people use
this to fire off hot takes, because like there's any any,
any excuse to get to to get in the mud
and get a little dirty on social media when it
comes to nonsense. That's what the w n b A
(39:16):
and the NBA have turned into. Nonsense, nonsense debates, nonsense topics,
and this along with anything else, will just pop up
on social media and cause and cause a wildfire itself.
Didn't RG three go at it with like was it?
Was it Ryan Clark again or Angel reason? They were
going at it too?
Speaker 10 (39:35):
ERG three shared a racist meme that a lot of
people probably wouldn't have seen if he didn't share it.
So that's what Ryan Clark was taking him test to
in our own Rob Parker so.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
Well, I mean, of course, like why just like don't
people have lives, Like there's other stuff going on, Like
I don't want to sit on Twitter and argue with
somebody next.
Speaker 10 (39:56):
A pair of storm chasers like you know from the
movie Twister got engaged while chasing a tornado in South Dakota.
There's a video of the proposal and everything, and you
can see the massive tornado in the background. So, Jonas,
do you care I do for people that know me like,
I'm a weather geek. The show During the week, we
(40:19):
always have Weather Channel on one of the TVs.
Speaker 3 (40:20):
I love weather. My son and I have wind apps
and tornado apps and weather apps that we look at
every night together. We have tornado books, we watch tornado documentaries.
Shonas the Son of a Bitch, That's where that comes from.
But these people are losers. Get a grip, go be civilized,
and do it somewhere outside of an EF three. Yeah.
(40:44):
So they made a move. Team in the NFL made
a move. They announced a decision. Unfortunately, it doesn't really matter. Okay,
it doesn't really matter if one thing doesn't happen. I'll
explain why that is coming up here in just a
couple of moments from now. Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio.
You can hang out with us as always on the
(41:04):
iHeartRadio app. You can find us on hundreds of affiliates
all across the country and wherever you are making us
a part of your Saturday afternoon. I appreciate you doing so.
We are going to take you all the way up
until the end of this hour four pm Eastern time,
one o'clock Pacific. We open up the show talking about
how you just can't take the NFLPA seriously, you can't
(41:25):
do it anymore with everything that comes out as the
days go by about how things are running and operated there,
the most recent being Lloyd Howe, the executive director, who
apparently this is just apparently he's working as a paid
part time consultant for a group that's one of the
select group of league approved private equity firms now seeking
(41:48):
minority ownership in NFL franchises. So basically a private equity
firm that's working with the league, yet he works for them,
yet also represents the players like the whole like you
probably shouldn't do that, you know what I mean. And
(42:09):
if I'm a player, I'm looking at this, going, dude,
who's representing us? And then now they're trying to backtrack
and say, well, no, no, he was investigated and he's
far enough away from the business matters that it's not
really a conflict of interests. Like, why would you even
open your door, open the doors up to the potential
of this. Why it's a terrible look. You're going to
lose support from your players that you're supposed to be representing,
(42:35):
even more so than you already have. And all of
this is on the heels of the fact that the
NFLPA finally filed an appeal over their grievance and the
ruling that took place in January only because, as it
turns out, there was evidence to show that there was
(43:00):
collusion going on, and the nfl PA struck a deal
with the NFL itself to try and keep it hush hush. See,
you kept that information from players, and the only reason
you filed the appeal is because Pablo Torre got ahold
of the transcript transcripts and you guys looked awful. So
(43:20):
the more that you see this stuff come out when
it when it comes to the nfl PA, the less
you can take them. Seriously, you can't. You can't take
this anything that comes out from the nfl P. I'm
gonna go yeah, okay, gotcha, gotcha, yeah, okay, okkk. You're
gonna do all these things. You're gonna do all that
you're gonna do this and that. You know you want
you want grass Field, you want it. Like whenever the
(43:41):
NFL PA says anything anymore, I'm just gonna give it
a side eye. Okay, okay, yay, whatever you say. Yeah
you got it, Yeah, yeah you got it. You got it, sure, sure,
yeah you got you guys have got it all buttoned
up and all figured out. All right. The players are
good hands, man, That's why they lose every negotiation. But
(44:02):
they're in good hands. Everything's fine, nothing to worry about,
no conflict of interest here, So it's hard to take
them serious. It's also hard to uh take this report
that came out yesterday where the Chicago Bears made a statement.
It's hard to take this one serious because the Bears
(44:24):
have announced a five year contract extension for Ryan Poles,
their general manager. So Ryan Poles, the GM of the Bears,
He's gotten a big time contract extension. And it's interesting
because he had two years left on his deal. But
this is all about the optics of it. To where
you were at, you were going to pair and mirror
(44:46):
the contract lives of Ryan Poles and new head coach
Ben Johnson. So now their contracts line up identically. Ryan
Polls has got the same length on his contract that
Ben Johnson does, so it would appear that everything is
(45:08):
lining up, and I would be on board with that,
and I would take that serious if not for the
fact that there's just a reality to this. If Caleb
Williams fails, everybody's gone. That's it. That's it. So you
can put whatever timeline you want on the contract. You
can put and make it identical all you want. You
(45:30):
can have a you know, announce this and say back
in January, don't worry about it. We're going to get
this done. And Ryan's our GM, He's going to be
here long term. And then you can wait all these
months later and finally get it done right before training
camp starts, and then you can say, hey, look, hey,
everything's good here, everything's good. But what if Caleb Williams
(45:53):
goes out in the next couple of years and you
realize this is just not working at all. It isn't
working now. I personally believe that it will. Personally I
think that it will. They've upgraded he wasn't as bad
as everybody else made him out to be as a rookie.
Wasn't that bad. They were a bit of a diaper fire.
(46:13):
But we can all jump for joy and people can
celebrate and talk about, hey, you know this is like
everything is lined up now, finally they've got everything figured out.
And then you come to the realization that, yeah, but
you still need the quarterback that you drafted number one
overall that you gave up on the year prior, which
(46:36):
could have been CJ. Stroud. You gave up that opportunity
to draft this guy. You need that to work out
or else. None of this matters. Ben Johnson's contract, Ryan Polls,
this contract. If it doesn't work out with Kayleb Williams,
none of it matters at all. And while everybody talks
about all that he got in return Ryan Poles did
(46:56):
from the Carolina Panthers for that draft haul, and they
talk about all the play that came back at all,
the none of it matters if Caleb Williams doesn't deliver,
because you can point to Tyreek Stevenson, or you can
point to to DJ Moore and all these The whole
goal was to finally figure out the quarterback position. If
(47:17):
you still haven't done that, even after all of those
moves and the opportunity twice to draft a franchise quarterback
at the top of the draft, not further down. Not
move up and take a Trubisky, not move up and
take a justin fields like, not further down. We're talking
(47:39):
at the very top of the draft. You trade it
away the opportunity to draft CJ. Stroud, and then you
took the opportunity to draft Caleb Williams because it ended
up falling into your lap because Carolina stunk. If it
doesn't work out with Caleb Williams, none of this matters.
Ryan Poles his five year contract, Ben Johnson's five year contract.
(48:03):
It's a moot point. The organization is going to be
judged based on how the quarterback plays, because everything this
offseason has been how do we fix that? What can
we do to provide help? They bolstered the offensive line
via free agency. They went out and made a couple
of deals. They did that, They brought in the coach
(48:26):
that everybody wanted, and they paid top dollar to do so.
You drafted multiple skill position players in the draft at
the top of your draft with your first couple of picks, like,
you've done a lot to try and build around him.
If it doesn't work, none of these contracts mean anything
at all whatsoever. So it's a great story. Ryan Poles'
(48:49):
contract lines up with the head coach. It seems great
in theory, but if the quarterback doesn't deliver and there's
a problem there, none of it matters at the Jonas
Knox on X at the own is knocks on X.
By the way, speaking of contracts, this is something that
has not gotten a ton of run because I don't
know if people understand exactly exactly how this whole thing
(49:13):
could play out. But it is interesting that there's a
bunch of people that have not signed their contracts yet.
So it's been noted that thirty of thirty two second
(49:33):
round draft picks have not signed their contracts in the NFL.
You're probably thinking, man, that's a lot. What's going on there?
Is there's something some sort well, yeah, a little bit
of an issue. The first two that were taken in
the second round signed fully guaranteed contracts, and now you've
(49:54):
got organizations representing the other thirty picks. Some of them
have multiple picks, including the Browns who have another one.
They've got to pay, and they already paid. They're guaranteed
contract to a second rounder. They don't want to pay
those guaranteed contracts, and there's some thought, Okay, when is
(50:14):
this how's this whole thing going to play out? Trey Harris,
who's a rookie may or may not report to Chargers
training camp today. He's a second round pick, and so
you just kind of watch how this whole thing goes,
and it's not getting a lot of attention and it's
(50:34):
not getting a lot of run. But it's very interesting
because now, if you're an agent representing one of those
other players in the second round, you can't just tell
your guy to commit to a contract when he sees
two other players drafted in the same round go guaranteed.
You can't. Like, that does not how this works. So
(50:57):
it's wait and see. When it comes to the second round.
In the NFL, it's a story. While everybody's focused on
all these other Trey Hendrickson and Micaeh Parson extensions and TJ.
Watt and all this stuff, you got thirty of thirty
two in an entire round of a draft that have
not agreed to deals with training camp right around the corner.
Because two other teams, the Texans and the Browns, set
(51:18):
precedents by giving fully guaranteed contracts to their draft picks.
It's going to be fascinating to see how this plays out.
At the Jonas Knocks on X Get me on Instagram,
by the way, at Jonas Knox Show, that's where you
can find all the unedited versions of all the insulting
tweets that are sent into the show. A lot of
people very very very happy with what is going on here.
(51:42):
Guy by the name of Brady writes in who You
Bleeping off Today? At Jonas Knox Shaw on Instagram and
at the Jonas Knox on X is where you can
find all that fun stuff if you will. Coming up
next here though, we are going to tell you about
(52:02):
somebody in the NFL who's going on tour. They are
going on tour. It's a special kind of tour. Find
out who it is and why. Next here on FSR,
Jonas is count It today, Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio.
Coming up a little over ten minutes from now, little
(52:25):
piece of advice for a future Hall of Famer in
the NFL. That'll be yours here on FSR. So again,
that'll be a little over ten minutes from now. More
positive feedback has come into the show here on this
beautiful Saturday afternoon where all we do is try and
spread smiles and positivity here on the show. Brian has responded,
(52:51):
you little Dodgers bleep like the rest of your LA
media fan bleeps with your pom poms out crying about
your bleep squad seven game lose streak, f all the
way off already in your boy Toyotani Thong and Onesie,
you bleep booby rights in Hey, Jonas, let me help
(53:12):
you out with your vocabulary. This is right out of
the Urban Dictionary. Bumber shoot plays for Jonas Knox hides
his two c when going through the airport at Jonas
Knox Show on Instagram. At Jonas Knox Show on Instagram,
you can see all of those unedited in full raunchy
(53:35):
form on IG if you go to the IG stories
there up at the top corner at Jonas Knox Show
on Instagram. They have been posted for your pleasure. Just ridiculous.
All right, So let's talk about somebody that's going on tour.
And this is a very special tour, but this was
(53:57):
a self induced tour. You almost had to do it
because his damage control, well damage control tour. So Robert Kraft,
the owner of the New England Patriots. He was talking
at this Fanatics fest a couple of weeks back. He
(54:17):
was having some conversations with former players of his Julian Edelman,
Rob Gronkowski while at Fanatics Fest on the Dudes on
Dudes podcasts that they do, and here was the Patriots
owner when asked what the best move was that he's
made since owning the team.
Speaker 12 (54:38):
Well, the one that got questioned the most was in
ninety nine, I gave up but number one draft pick
for coach who had only won a little over forty
percent of his game to get him out front. I
don't know if there are any Jet fans here, but
(54:58):
I think getting Bill Belichick to come to the Patriots
in nineteen ninety nine it was a big risk and
I got hammered in the Boston media. I think he
was with us for twenty four years and we did okay.
Speaker 3 (55:17):
So that was owner of the Patriots, Harry Cary, I
mean Robert Kraft, who was talking on the Dudes on
Dudes podcast with Julian Edeman and Rob Gronkowski. He sounds like,
but what do you want? He sounds like Harry Carey.
He does it's fine. Though. The point is Robert Craft's
(55:38):
been going on this damage control tour, and this has
been going on over a year because he started to
sense that maybe the way that he spoke about and
the way that he talked about publicly or behind the
(55:58):
scenes about Bill Bella Belichick didn't really land all that
well with a lot of his former players, because Robert
Kraft probably saw this as an opportunity when he moved
on from Bill Belichick, because for all intents and purposes,
Belichick was fired, and Robert Kraft thought this was an
opportunity for him to show everybody that, hey, even though
(56:18):
Belichick got all the credit and Brady got all the credit,
I own this team, even though I'm not a Hall
of Famer, and I've still got a red ass about
that I own this team. I'll show you I can
make things happen. And what has happened since is a
full blown five alarmed diaper fire in New England. They
were brutal last year. Jerrod Mayo was his handpicked guy, handpicked,
(56:46):
He was the heir apparent, and he realized, oh boy,
I got a problem here. This is real bad, and
Girod Mayo got fired. So he's shown you with the
moves that he's made that since he's taken over, is
the guy really calling the shots, the guy with all
(57:08):
the power and influence in New England, even though he
owned the team the entire time, But the guy that's
really going to be held responsible. He's shown you that
the moves he's made up until this offseason have not worked.
He's not done a good job. Mike Frable was a
great hire, and they went out and they spent a
ton of money because I think robber Craft feels the
(57:30):
heat and knows I got to show everybody I can
do this, especially if I'm going to go out and
run my mouth about the guy who was here in
interviews and podcasts or wherever else. Robber Craft is out
there talking about Bill Belichick in the past few months.
It was never really anything all that kind. And then
(57:54):
when the documentary came out, because there's been like it's
like the Aaron Hernandez stuff. Aaron Hernandez has got like
thirty five documentaries about his life. The Patriots have like
ten different documentaries about their dynasty run, but on one
of them, Robert Kraft's production team was responsible for it,
and former players were pissed because the way that Bill
(58:18):
Belichick was painted in the documentary. And then you got
robber Craft coming out afterwards saying, well, I have no
say in that, like that was it's your production company.
Yes you do. You saw the toast they gave at
the Tom Brady Rose you saw the stuff. When all
of this stuff has come out to where Belichick basically
(58:40):
fired him, to where Belichick may or may not have
reached out to the Atlanta Falcons and told them not
to hire Bill Belichick. When all of this stuff came
to the surface, the documentary, all of that, and then
he takes over the reins as the guy calling the
shots and they're a disaster. Last year. When that's Happeningcraft realizes, uh, oh,
(59:02):
I gotta do a little damage control here. This did
not go well, like my first year plus without Belichick
in the building did not go well. And on top
of that, I threw him under the bus multiple times.
So he's out there now, y'all, Well, Belichick's the smartest
(59:23):
move I ever made. And he's spoken so highly of Belichick,
and he's talking to the fan base again, and we're
going to have fun this year, and I promise you
and we're going to do this because I think Robert
Craft realizes, hey man, this is my first taste, my
first showcase as the guy in the building without Brady
and Belichick. After all these years and so far, what
(59:45):
we've seen on the field and off the field, it
is sucked. So that's why they got so aggressive this offseason.
That's why the Mike Rabel hiring was so important. That's
why he's gone around now to try and tell everybody
how great Belichick is and how highly he thinks of
him and all. This is the greatest movie because he
(01:00:05):
realizes everything that had happened up to this point since
Belichick left has not gone well. It just hasn't. So
Robert Kraft is on tour. It's called the damage control Tour.
He's got to show everybody and that fan base, hey,
don't worry, don't worry. I know what I'm doing, because
(01:00:27):
up to this point it's looked like he has it.

on the show, we are going to tell you about
how there's a little bit of advice that should be
handed out to a future Hall of Famer, right because
(01:01:11):
one organization's got kind of a thing going on, and
there's some advice that should be handed out to a
Hall of Famer who's a member of that organization. That'll
be yours here on FSR. But for all the latest
from around the world of sports. A man who taught
us everything we needed to know about umbrellas in Britain
real earlier in the show. He is in the midst
of a perfect game, the one and only Sir Isaac Longcroft, you.
Speaker 6 (01:01:37):
Know along those lines. Truthfully, really, the only reason I
pretend to be nice to you around here is to
ride your cotails all the way to start them, and
frankly it's working because I'd like to welcome in my
newest follower on social media thanks to appearing on this show,
(01:01:58):
So welcome aboard at Nuts McGee seven.
Speaker 3 (01:02:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:02:04):
See, I'm kind of exposing my brand to a new
type of audience, if I can put it that way,
by appearing on your show.
Speaker 4 (01:02:12):
The likes of at Nuts McGee seven, that's awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
I mean Irish clearly. So I mean, are they listening
on the iHeartRadio app in Dublin perhaps?
Speaker 4 (01:02:23):
Oh you've been to Dublin. Yeah, you've been to Dublin
and you.
Speaker 6 (01:02:27):
Don't know what a bumber shoot is. Okay, what do
you think of Dublin? Isn't it beautiful?
Speaker 1 (01:02:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:02:31):
I like the I like the fact that it always
just looks like it's either going to rain or just
give the appearance that it's going to rain at all times.
That's my kind of weather. I would say. The food,
Oh got that great? Okay? The the uh the the
cottage pie though fantastic, it'll shut you down, but it's
(01:02:53):
basically like a pot pie with a layer of mashed potatoes.
Speaker 6 (01:02:57):
Oh nice, Okay, So it's the shutdown. So we're continuing
to go all international with this baby. We go from
Dublin to s W nineteen in London and the Ladies
Singles final at Wimbledon. Today, it saw a dominant performance
by Ego Schiantek of Poland against American Amanda Anisimova. Here's
how match points outed on Radio Wimbledon.
Speaker 7 (01:03:18):
Fullhand from Schiontech down the center. Fullhand down the center
from a Nisimova. It's a winner from Egoschwiontech who falls
to her back.
Speaker 8 (01:03:28):
Clinical, ruthless, merciless, brilliant. Ego Schweontech is Wimbleland champion for
the first time. It's a double bagel from Ego schweon Tech.
Speaker 6 (01:03:41):
Baseball right now, the Cubs a five to nothing lead
over the Yankees bottom of the ninth inning of the
Cub's Carson Kelly his twelfth home run. The Mariners up
to one at Detroit in the top half of the
third inning. Meanwhile, the Chicago Cubs up big, yeah, I
beg your pardon. The Minnesota Twins up big over the
Pittsburgh Pirates nine to one going to the bottom of
(01:04:01):
the fourth inning. The Twins Cody Clemens a three run
home run, his twelfth home run of the season. Braves
and Cardinals tied three to three. They're in the bottom
of the fifth, then again to go back to Yankee
Stadium because Aaron Judge has now hit his thirty fifth
home run of the season. It was a two run
home run, so with one out in the bottom of
the ninth inning, the Cubs lead over the Yankees is
(01:04:23):
now five to two. Again Aaron Judge second seconds ago
hitting his thirty fifth home run of the season. And
finally Jonas we have an NBA Luka Doncic random guy
on social media update. Some random guy on social media
named Ludwig Ogren is hosting a three on three basketball
(01:04:44):
tournament for social media streamers today that includes such luminaries
as point Crow, Phase Adapt, and Trevor eve Arts. Mister
Ogren invited Lakers star Luka Doncic to attend the event.
Doncic's representatives Luca was unable to attend, but to agrin's shock,
(01:05:07):
Doncic sent him the following video message, Listen.
Speaker 3 (01:05:11):
Hey, Ludrick, I know how have you worked?
Speaker 12 (01:05:14):
Good luck in a tournament.
Speaker 3 (01:05:16):
I wish I could be there. Let's hang out.
Speaker 6 (01:05:18):
Okay bye, Luka Doncic again repeating it.
Speaker 3 (01:05:22):
I quote Let's hang out okay bye?
Speaker 6 (01:05:26):
That video which is evidently real and not AI presently
at eight million views, am counting doctor.
Speaker 3 (01:05:32):
Jonas my assets, not AI. It doesn't even sound like Luca.
Does that sound like Luca? Does that? Does that sound
like the cold hearted assassin who had a beer taken
out of his hands by Michael Finley in the tunnel
of a stadium?
Speaker 6 (01:05:46):
Let's sing out okay bye? Nah?
Speaker 3 (01:05:49):
No, that that's not Luke. I don't see.
Speaker 6 (01:05:51):
Here's the thing that Let's hang out by. It's just
so kind of like innocent and dare I say, like
cute and likable that I don't know if someone would
have the creativity to AI that. From all indications, apparently
it is real, because that's the first thing I thought, like,
(01:06:11):
is it AI? But apparently there There is a picture
that was taken of them together at Crypto dot com
arena earlier this year, and that I guess could be AI.
But from all indications that was actually real.
Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
By the way, how about the balls on that guy?
I think Luca would participate three.
Speaker 6 (01:06:27):
Exits, No, not as a participant, but just to attend
the event. God, I mean, I mean, I think Jonas
you know, not to be offensive, but I think you're
underestimating the appeal of watching Trevor eve arts and point
crow in action, not to say the least a phase adapt.
Speaker 3 (01:06:48):
Yeah, I don't know, I like, I can only think
of maybe Actually, no, I'd rather attend every single funeral
I've ever gone to than that. Yeah, I thought there
was like two or three. Hear that much about like
every everyone sounds more appealing than going.
Speaker 6 (01:07:03):
To I don't want to pry, but it sounds like
you've attended quite a number of funerals and oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
this is uh, you know, my condolences.
Speaker 3 (01:07:11):
I'm sorry, I know, I'm just I'm just saying, like,
not my condolencis to me, the condolences of the people
going to this event like you used to do. Those
are the ones you feel bad for. Lucas gonna Lucas
gonna attend that event. I mean, your mind.
Speaker 6 (01:07:23):
These streamer people are very popular. They have a lot
of followers on you know, TikTok TikTok and WhatsApp and
Insta face and your book.
Speaker 4 (01:07:31):
As Belichick would say, it's.
Speaker 3 (01:07:34):
Like, would would be great? Wouldn't it be great if
if Luca was like, thank you, but I'd rather get
another circumcision than go to that. Actually, like, wouldn't be
great if you said that instead, and it was just
honest about it.
Speaker 6 (01:07:48):
I'm just I'm just surprised that you just went in
that direction, because I like, are there I mean, are
there doctors out there that are willing to perform a
second one if you've had one already.
Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
It's like, it's like when I think of Luca, I
don't think of this jolly hey, let's hang out by.
When I think of Luca, I think cold sert blooded
guy will who will nail a twenty eight footer in
your face and stare you down the rest of the way.
Like he talks trash to people in the crowd. He's
not saying let's hang out to some three on three
weirdo on social media. I'm just I think it's just.
Speaker 4 (01:08:21):
Saying okay, fair enough. That's that's what I thought too.
Speaker 6 (01:08:24):
I'm just saying these streamers are these streamers, these e
sports people, they have a surprisingly large following that people
like us, and you know, our clientele has asked nuts
McGee seven no.
Speaker 3 (01:08:39):
Look and and all credit to him. Anybody that's made
their way in that industry like they deserve no disrespect
at all. But come on, man, like it's a three
on three game, like it's three on three. That would
be like me reaching out to Aaron Judge and saying,
hey man, when you get done a touching home plate,
do you want to play whiffleball with me and my kid?
And him responding back.
Speaker 4 (01:09:00):
To that, all right, you never know, okay, you never know.
Speaker 3 (01:09:04):
He's not ready for this. Smoke to you, all right,
thank you, Eilo. It is Jonas Knox here on Fox
Sports Radio. You can follow along at Jonas Knox Show.
Maddie writes in please go away you do a horse
bleep show? What absolutely lazy garbage topics? What the f
there's more than football a clown? At Jonas Knox Show
(01:09:28):
on Instagram. You can see all of those in true form,
unedited for your pleasure here on this Saturday afternoon. So
there's been we are going to have the scraps. We'll
close up shop here with the scraps. A Saturday tradition
as well too, coming up in about ten minutes from now.
There's been some speculation about what's going to happen with
(01:09:49):
the Kansas City Chiefs and their stadium issue. They've got
they need upgrades. There's some thoughts that maybe they would
move to Kansas, maybe they would stay in Missouri. Like
there's just there's been this back and forth about how's
this going to get done, Like they're not sure whether
or not they'll be able to do the renovations. Patrick
(01:10:11):
Mahomes was asked about it recently. He did an interview
with Alex Sherman of CNBC Sport and he just said, well,
you know, we can't lose either way because of the
great fan base and all of that, and that's true
to a certain sense. But here's how you could lose.
You could do what the Bears did when they renovated
Soldier Field years ago and decided to put a UFO inside.
(01:10:36):
You could do that because you ask anybody who's been
to that place. That was a historic stadium that had
a lot of major events go on there, major games,
great players, Hall of famers, and the Pears completely butchered
it so much so that all these years later they
now are trying to figure out how they can renovate
(01:10:56):
that one again. Yeah, we're going to redo this again,
and either that or we're gonna move to a stadium,
we bought a horse track, maybe we'll put it there.
And they've been still trying to figure that out. So
while Patrick Mahomes says, you know, we can't lose either way, no,
you actually can. You could do what they did. You
could make a mockery of a historic landmark in the
city and have people drive by and go, what is that?
Speaker 1 (01:11:21):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:11:21):
What is that? Cause if you land in Chicago, like
if you fly into Midway Airport and you start driving
to downtown, you'll pass right by Soldier Field on the
right side, and you're gonna be looking over going what
is that?
Speaker 11 (01:11:35):
Like?
Speaker 3 (01:11:36):
It doesn't make any sense. Who did that? Who thought
that was a good idea? So hopefully the chiefs get
it sorted out. I'm a big fan of the renovations,
especially at a place like Arrowhead where there's been so
many great moments you don't want to just tear it
down and then move somewhere else. I'm a big fan
of that. Hopefully it all works out, But yes, you
can lose. Just go go walk by Soldier Field, go
(01:11:59):
take in the sites and sounds, and ask yourself who
thought that was a good idea for a renovation at
the Jonas Knox on X at the Jonas Knocks on
X and you can get us on Instagram as well
at Jonas Knox Show. Coming up next here though, on
Fox Sports Radio, we are going to close up shop.
It is another edition of the scraps Things in the
world of sports and beyond we have not had a
(01:12:21):

in the ig stories all the insulting tweets that we
read each week here on the show, so you can
check those out at Jonas Knox Show on Instagram. That is,
at Jonas Knox Show on Instagram. Right now, we close
up shop with a little something we do every single
(01:13:26):
week called this Jonas you moron?
Speaker 2 (01:13:30):
How could you not get to these stories?
Speaker 1 (01:13:32):
Moron?
Speaker 3 (01:13:33):
These are the scraps And for that we turn it
over to our executive producer Bo Benson to find out
what the hell we've missed so far on the show.
Speaker 12 (01:13:41):
Bo.
Speaker 3 (01:13:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:13:42):
Uh.
Speaker 10 (01:13:43):
ESPN has been running a top ten list for different
positions around the NFL as we get closer to the
season coming, and the titands was interesting because Brock Bauers
after one season, was voted on as the top Titan
in the National Football League by a mix of executives, coaches,
and scouts. Wall Chiefs Titan Travis Kelcey fell all the
way to fifth. So I thought that was interesting. I
(01:14:05):
thought Rock Bowers should have been the Rookie of the
Year last year. To be honest, he was.
Speaker 3 (01:14:09):
I mean, he's unbelievable, especially on a team where they
had all the other stuff that was going on. He
was fantastic and he's actually one of those guys to
where you heard how good he was coming out of
college and everyone thought, man, he's going to be like
the next big thing, and then to see him go
to the NFL and deliver the way that he did,
he was awesome, absolutely awesome. And also how about Brett Beach,
(01:14:33):
the GM of the Chiefs, coming out this week and
basically saying, yeah, there's times where you watch Travis and
that you're like, yeah, this may be it. It's like
it's like, damn, man, that's just what you want to hear.
Speaker 11 (01:14:45):
Ye.
Speaker 3 (01:14:45):
Actually, like like Brett Veach's got the guy like he's
like he's out there in a walker. He had ninety
seven catches last year.
Speaker 4 (01:14:53):
Yeah, we tell me.
Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
I know he's not the same player, but it's not
like he's a terrible player. So yeah, it's fun a
NFL seasons right around the corner. The lists are starting
to pop up. That's best time of the year.
Speaker 10 (01:15:05):
The Pittsburgh Steelers, you'll be shocked to know, have not
looked into trading defensive end TJ. Watt as they are
in their contract and pass. So I just here's what
doesn't add up to me. And I made this point
last week. If you trade TJ.
Speaker 3 (01:15:24):
Watt, it undoes everything you did this offseason, Because if
you were to tell Steelers fans before the year, hey,
we're gonna end up with Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf
and Jalen Ramsey and john Us Smith. Yeah, but you're
not gonna have TJ. Watt. No, Okay, I'm good. Yeah,
thank you like it? Just it did. So that's why
(01:15:45):
it doesn't add up to me. And then when Omar
Kahn gets the contract extension, why would you give him
a contract extension if you weren't pretty certain that he
was going to be able to get the deal done
with your best player on defense and probably the best
player on your team, doesn't Why Yeah, it doesn't make
any sense. And so I look at it and I go,
why would they like?
Speaker 11 (01:16:05):
This?
Speaker 3 (01:16:05):
Just all feels like posturing. It all feels like negotiations
that have gotten maybe a little bit more more contentious,
just like they did the first time around with TJ. Watt.
But I can't imagine the Steelers walk away from him.
If they walk away from him, they basically undo undid
every all good they did this offseason. It doesn't make
any sense. It would not.
Speaker 10 (01:16:24):
Speaking of not making sense, undid undone, undue, undid christ Yeah,
speaking of not making any sense. Netflix dropped Quarterback season
two that I was sung with a Chris Profeder earlier.
Like I, Jared Goff had some thoughts on how the
Rams handled his trade, saying that he felt he deserved
more of a conversation from the team. I Sean McVay
(01:16:46):
has acknowledged multiple times that he messed that up, and
if you could do it again, he would. I think
it's a little bush league for GoF to air his
side of it publicly like that, Like, I think it's
a different for a coach to do it than a
play to do it. But also, like Jared Goff showed
exactly why the Rams traded him in the divisional game
against the Commanders, so hurt well, like he turn the
(01:17:13):
entire game.
Speaker 3 (01:17:13):
I mean, it's also the writing was on the wall
when he was good enough to suit up. Yet they
started John Watson in a playoff game and then Goff
had to come in and bail him out and actually
played pretty well and then and then played somewhat decent
the next week at Green Bay, and they were at
least competitive, but they still lost because Aaron Donald was
hurt and GoF was still a little banged up. Everybody
(01:17:36):
in town knew that this was probably heading in that direction.
It was just it was a perfect storm of all
sorts of things that that ended up happening. Jared, you know,
Matt Stafford became available and they made the move. And
by the way, the move worked out better for everybody. Yeah,
Like Jared Goff's been better in Detroit than he was
in LA Like if you just look at his numbers.
Speaker 10 (01:17:59):
Chris I have talked since that trade happened that it's
probably the first win win trade in sports history, at
least at least as far as everybody's concerned. I think
everybody's happy with it. I just yea McVeigh would do
it if if he did it again, he would be
smarter about it.
Speaker 4 (01:18:12):
I just I just see.
Speaker 9 (01:18:13):
It from Goff's side too, like that is still no
matter how you twisted, like a blow to your ego,
no matter what I get.
Speaker 3 (01:18:20):
It, I totally get it too. And and to Bow's point,
it's not like Sean McVay is just sort of aimlessly
walked around and said I did nothing wrong. Oh, I
probably could have handle that better. And but there was
stuff coming out late in that season that McVeigh and
Goff weren't getting along that they you know, they run
its course and he was getting frustrated with him and
(01:18:41):
all the and so late. So they ended up. The
Lions had no idea that what they got was going
to turn into this Like. It literally worked out better
for everybody. They've had some great matchups. The playoff game
was a great game. The opener I think it was
last year was a great game. So I look at
it and I go, yeah, man, I can understand why
(01:19:02):
you got a red ass about it, But dude, it
worked out for everybody on Man.
Speaker 10 (01:19:07):
So Jonas, I'm going to see super Man todate, Should
I get the Jaws popcorn bucket while I'm there?
Speaker 3 (01:19:14):
How much is it?
Speaker 10 (01:19:14):
Oh, that's a good question, probably like twenty bucks.
Speaker 9 (01:19:17):
I'm mad they gave me an old Thunderbolts bucket when
I went.
Speaker 3 (01:19:20):
Well, because here here's the thing. Bow likes to collect buckets.
He's he collected that. Uh what was the movie where
they gave you that? God? Yeah, yeah, the Dune bucket
that looked like I can't say that on the air.
You bo's go, really, did I get dumped?
Speaker 9 (01:19:37):
No, No, I'm just saying whatever you were about to say,
we can't have it on the Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:19:41):
Well yeah, I'm just saying like Bow likes to collect
popcorn buckets, so may as well. At this point, you know,
added the collection why not Little Jaws bucket Jaws, All
time great
Speaker 2 (01:19:49):
Movie, Jonas, Son of a Bitch,
