Speaker 1 (00:00):
I have to have better stop from the beginning.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
To Jonas Knocks.

Speaker 3 (00:04):
You thought you knew me, You didn't know a thing
about me.

Speaker 4 (00:07):
He's crazier than air. Else wrecked that guy, Jonas Knocks,
You heard me, friend, some darkness is lighting up your
speakers to establish an alibi for the day. No Live
from the Fox Sports Radio studios, here's Jonas Knox.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Yep, sorry, okay, I'm a part of this world.

Speaker 5 (00:45):
You know, we do have some good news and a
little bit of bad news, and we're gonna get into
that in the NFL coming up here in just a
couple of moments from now, Jonas Knox, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
You can find us on the iHeart Radio app.

Speaker 5 (01:01):
You know, you can always listen to us on hundreds
of affiliates all across the country. And if you're listening
on the podcast right now, we appreciate you doing so.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Live.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
We are going to be taking you all the way
up until four pm Eastern time, one o'clock Pacific, first
show of twenty twenty six, and we are off and
rolling with a doubleheader in the NFL. Now, the good
news is we've got arguably the two best teams in
the NFC in the main event, the Seahawks and the

(01:33):
forty nine Ers. The bad news is you've got the
Panthers in the Bucks to kick things off. Now, not great,
okayok some appetizers aren't like others. I mean, there are
buffalo wings, there are mottsticks, there are nachos, and then
you know, sometimes you know, somebody brings.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Out you know, like a like a.

Speaker 5 (01:55):
Cracker with like eggs on it, like just like like
stuff that doesn't belong that for whatever reason, is on
the menu and you ordered it you thought it would
be good and it's just not. So it is what
it is. And we've got the Panthers and we've got
the Bucks. And the one thing that I keep thinking
about when it comes to the NFC South is that

(02:15):
I would just like for it to go away. Like
that's it. Like, I would just like the NFC South
to go away. And here's why. You can't really depend
on anybody, anybody in the NFC South. You just can't.
It's like having a bunch of derelicts as friends and

(02:35):
expecting them to be on time when you really need
to get to someplace you got to go. What do
you like, what do you think is gonna happen. Of
course you're gonna be late. Of Course you're gonna get
pulled over. Of course one of them is gonna get
in a fight. They're gonna pull a knife on a cop.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Like, of course that's what happens.

Speaker 5 (02:51):
So the derelicts of the NFC the NFC South will
be featured in the matinee coming up later, and I
will look at it the whole thing and go like,
what is it about the NFC South that pisses me off?
Because other than the Carolina Panthers, nobody deserves to go.
Carolina deserves to go. Just from the simple standpoint, And

(03:12):
I've talked about this before. Dave Canalis and Bryce Young
might be the nicest people in the NFL, and if
they could get to the playoffs after what that fan
base has been through, I think that'd be a good story.
But even Carolina, it's like, we're not that far removed
from David Tepper, their owner, throwing a drink on somebody

(03:34):
stopping it at some roadside diner on the way to
the draft to get in somebody's face about wearing an
Eagles hat. Because even like the sign they put out
in front, like you know, like, we're not that far
removed from that the Frank Reich experience, Like like, you know,
it's not as if it's not as if Carolina is
unfamiliar with derelict activity. But like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,

(04:00):
Todd Bowles calls his team out a few weeks back,
and what happens Nothing, They just keep losing. What do
you think, Well, they're injured. Okay, so are a lot
of people. Like they lose the game. Mike Evans's throwing
stuff just got back. Incredulous. You're hearing these stories about

(04:21):
how you know, they got young players on the team
that you know, don't know how to be professional. Okay,
that's fun. Kind of sounds like a DERELKT. No, the
New Orleans Saints went into this year. I mean, I'll
give New Orleans a little bit of credit. We thought
New Orleans this was tanked for arch Manning. They were
gonna go in, they were gonna be the worst team

(04:41):
in the league. And all of a sudden, they're competing
and they're beating teams in the NFL, you know, teams
in their division. But you know, what do you expect
from that division? Tyler Shuck has made a run for Rookie.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Of the Year.

Speaker 5 (04:58):
But you look at the New Orleans Saints, you go, okay, well,
at least there is some positive momentum there, and then
you got the Falcons. It's like, okay, listen, you guys
butchered the Belichick hiring.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
A couple of years ago.

Speaker 5 (05:12):
You went Raheem Morris, you signed Kirk Cousins to a
monster deal coming off an injury. Then you moved up,
you drafted Michael Pennix junior, and now you find yourself
in this odd spot to where they can finish in
a three way tie if Carolina loses, but Carolina would
get in because they've got the tie break. Like the
whole thing is a comedy act, and yet for some reason,

(05:37):
we're gonna have to sit and go through it one
more time. And we're gonna have to sit and go
through it one more time coming up later today. Now,
the best conclusion of this whole thing is that it
ends in a tie, just so we can really put
a bow on whatever the hell you call this season.
But if you would like something to sum up exactly

(05:59):
what we get from the NFC South all year long,
let me go ahead and explain it.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Like this this.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
According to Doug Clawson on social media, two teams this
year have zero wins as a favorite this season, the Jets,
who are awful, and the Panthers, who might be hosting.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
A playoff game.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
Carolina would be the first team since the nineteen seventy
merger to make the playoffs with zero wins as a favorite. So,
if you were wondering, if you could, in simple terms,
explain to somebody why it is you two believe that
entire division is a derelict and full of dearre elkts.
It's stuff like that, and we get it on full display.

(06:45):
Coming up in just a couple of hours. Jonas Knox
here Fox Sports Radio. By the way, you can follow
along at the Jonas Knox on x at Jonas Knox
Show on Instagram. So there are some reports out there
because you don't Monday's coming up here pretty quick. You know,
coaches are going to get clipped around the NFL. And
I'm never one of these guys that likes to sit

(07:06):
here and brag about a coach getting I think it sucks.
I think losing your job in any line of work sucks.
I mean, I've been fired, I've been let go and
radio I've been that was awful. Sent me down, just
a deep, downward spiral of depression. I got fired from
a retirement home. You know, Apparently you can't, you know,
if you don't like the way the guests are being

(07:27):
treated by you know, some of the other staff, you
can't call them out in front of everybody. Apparently that's
not acceptable. But the point is, I've been fired before.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
It sucks. It sucks to lose your job.

Speaker 5 (07:38):
But you're hearing these reports now that there's some coaches
that are on the hot seat and what it might
look like coming up in a couple of days. And
so one of those and one of the reports that's
going out there is and this is a real stunner,
that Pete Carroll might be a one and done with
the Las Vegas Raiders. Now, I know what you're thinking, Why, what's.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
What's what went wrong? Wait?

Speaker 4 (08:09):
What do you mean?

Speaker 3 (08:10):
He just got there?

Speaker 5 (08:12):
Like this was supposed to be the stabilizing force of
the franchise, Like we needed an adult in the room,
we needed we needed people there that we're gonna show
the rest of these guys how to be professionals. And
what happened, well, you know, the season played out the
way he played out. So it looks like Pete Carroll's

(08:32):
going to be a one and done with the Las
Vegas Raiders right now. If you've talked to anybody who
knows anything about Pete Carroll, they tell you he likes
to compete. Right now, you may not understand that watching
the Raiders this year, it's been a bad team. They've
had injuries on the offensive line. The offensive line has
been a real problem. G know Smith is regretting, like
all of that stuff. But if one thing you know

(08:55):
about Pete Carroll, if you talk to anybody who was
at a Seahawks practice years ago, anybody who was at
a USC practice years ago, it is all about competition.
So if that's the case, and your Pete Carroll, and
you're smart, and you've been around this business for a
long time, and you've got enough people around you telling you, hey, man,
it looks like this is going to wrap up after

(09:16):
this year. There's one thing you can do, one thing
you can do to keep your reputation.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
On the way out the door.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
Win that game tomorrow against the Chiefs and stick it
to the organization right before they fire you. And if
you need a recent example of that, go look up
Lovey Smith's final game with the Houston Texans. Okay, Lovey
Smith had one job to do. Don't win that game.
Whenever you do, don't win that game. And Lovey Smith
and Davis Mills told the McNair family and Houston Texans

(09:55):
fans that were hoping that they were going to suck
so they could get the number one pick to kiss
their ass, and guess what happened.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
It worked out. Okay, they ended up with CJ.

Speaker 5 (10:04):
Stroud and they're a real threat to go to make
a deep run of the postseason. But the point is,
Pete Carroll's got an opportunity. He's got an opportunity here
to stick it to the organization. Now, he's gonna need
some things to happen here, right Because the only other team,
the only other team that can get the number one
pick other than the awful Raiders is the equally awful

(10:26):
New York Giants. So the Giants are the only other team,
but they would need some things to happen. So the
Giants have to lose to the Cowboys, probably gonna happen.
They would also need the Raiders to beat the Chiefs
and then the Giants would need two of these things
to happen. We'll call it one and a half in
case there's ties they would need a win from the Falcons,

(10:48):
the Bears, the Browns and the Seahawks. But if you
could get one of those wins at a tie, all
of a sudden, all those other things happen, and next
thing you know, the Giants are picking first in the draft.
But there's one conclusion to this whole experience from Pee
Carroll with the Raiders. There's one parting shot, one gift

(11:08):
he can leave on the countertop as he walks away,
and it's one win against the Kansas City Chiefs to
stick it to the organization and have them pick second
in the draft.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Enough first, that's it. So if you're.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
Wondering who's motivated, who's fired up, who's ready to play
this weekend?

Speaker 3 (11:29):
Pee Carroll is. He's not dumb.

Speaker 5 (11:31):
He knows the writing is on the wall, and he's
probably looking around going what's the best way I can
I can get a send off here and what will
finally and likely be my final game as a head
coach in the NFL, And that's winning tomorrow, getting some
help and sticking it to that awful organization at the
Jonas Knocks on x at Jonas Knock Show on Instagram

We will explain what the hell is going on with that.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
We find ourselves in a real impossible spot here in
week eighteen of the season. All of it is yours
here though, on this two hour extravaganza. But if you're
just looking at all the signs, all the signs that
are out there, it appears one coach who was on
the hot seat is gonna be back.

Speaker 3 (12:31):

Speaker 5 (13:24):
Coming up and we'll call it a little over ten
minutes from now, we are going to tell you about the.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
TGFG Game of the Week. It's ourry, thank God for
gambling game of the Week. It's the final one of
the twenty twenty five Slash twenty twenty.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
Six season, and so it's been a season filled with
just awful teams, awful matchups, couple of surprises here and there,
but nonetheless the TGFG Game of the Week will be
yours again here a little over ten minutes from now. So,
the Miami Dolphins have hired Troy Aikman to serve as

(14:01):
a consultant for the GM. In the coming hiring cycle.
Now it is interesting. Uh, he's a broadcaster and he's
going to have some say and involvement with helping an
NFL team make a hiring. Uh, that's it's interesting because
I don't know, I had heard that there was like

(14:23):
people had questioned that before, Like I had heard that,
you know, a broadcaster's involvement with an organization, like you've
got to wonder whether or not, you know, that could
lead to any sort of funny business.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
I mean, that's what I was told.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
I was told that, you know a while back, that
you got to watch you get you got it, whatever
you do, you got to watch out because you don't
want them sharing any secret information, you know, because it
might give them a big advantage. And then all of
a sudden, the Raiders played and people realized, Oh, that
whole thing's nonsense. Troy, go do what you want, Troy
go do Tom did it? Troy go do what you want.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
We're fine. Everything's fine here.

Speaker 5 (14:55):
So that being said, Troy Aikman has been hired by
the Dolphins to be a consultant for their upcoming GM hiring.
So if anybody remembers, Troy Aigman was very critical of
Mike McDaniel during his game management sequence on a game
that he called earlier this year of the Miami Dolphins

(15:18):
on Monday Night Football. And so Mike McDaniel, the head
coach of the Dolphins, was asked about Troy's criticism his involvement,
and he said.

Speaker 7 (15:26):
This, So you're telling me he didn't like us not
scoring points and taking up too much time.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Neither neither did I.

Speaker 7 (15:35):
That was not the intent.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
And you know that's he's doing his job.

Speaker 7 (15:41):
And when I signed up for this job, it was inherents.

Speaker 8 (15:44):
That results dictate all all narratives, regardless of if something
was good, bad, or whatever.

Speaker 7 (15:55):
So doesn't bother me in the least. As a matter
of fact, I think it would be funny if it did.

Speaker 5 (16:04):
Does that sound like a guy who's stressed out, you
know what I mean, like a guy who's thinking, you
know what, I could I could be on the chopping
block here.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
Does that sound like somebody who's stressed out?

Speaker 6 (16:12):
No?

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Yeah, I didn't think so either.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
And if you just take a step back and you
look at what the Miami Dolphins have done, and you
look at how this whole thing has been shaking out
all season long, there's been two major moves there. Right,
if we look at this as like, all right, well
there's you know, the three key components in this whole thing.
If you're going a head coach, general manager, quarterback, we're

(16:37):
all in unison.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
We're alling sink.

Speaker 5 (16:39):
There's two things that have happened this season with the Dolphins, right,
two things other than you know, the Tyreek kill stuff
and him getting injured, all this stuff off the field
and all the but there's two things that have happened.
The GM got fired and the quarterback got benched. Done
that give you an that maybe Mike McDaniel's okay, Like

(17:03):
he's gonna.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
Be all right.

Speaker 5 (17:06):
You have three moves to make. He only made two
of them. If you were gonna fire Mike McDaniel, why
wouldn't you have just done it when you fired the GM? Like,
why would Mike McDaniel feel comfortable enough to go through
a developmental quarterback and a developmental phase at quarterback with

(17:30):
Quinn yours unless he was pretty certain.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
He was going to be back next year.

Speaker 5 (17:37):
Like, if you were trying to win games because you
thought I got to win some games to save my job,
the answer would have been you play too.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
He's a better quarterback on the team. P you wouldn't say.

Speaker 5 (17:45):
What they want about him is as of right now,
you've got to win one game. Who are you starting
Tua or Quinn yours? And it's not a knock on
quin yours or not a a an endorsement of Tua Taguailoa.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
It's Tua more experience. We've seen it.

Speaker 5 (18:00):
He's played good football before, he's had a down year.
We all understand that. But it's clear that Miami Dolphins
have made a choice. They already made their choice. So
when people ask him, like, hey man, Troy Aikman's being
brought in as a consultant to the GM, are you concerned?
Why the owner is the one who makes the call.

(18:20):
He's the one calling the shots, and as long as
I'm good with him, I'm good. Does it mean that
they bring in a GM and all of a sudden,
a year from now we're having the same conversation about
Mike McDaniel. I don't know it's possible, but all the
reports seem to indicate that Mike McDaniel's most likely going

(18:40):
to be back, and that to a Tuga by Lowe,
although it's going to cost him a lot, is most
likely going to be gone unless.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
They look at this.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
It's like, hey, man, sit his ass down, get him
a fresh set of eyes. Come back next year, and
we'll see what we got if we can't find a
market for him. Unless that's the case, but the bottom
line is Mike McDaniel's going to be back.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
All the signs are there.

Speaker 5 (19:04):
Everything is there is indicating that Mike McDaniel is making
moves and talking in a way that he knows.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
I'm good. I'm good. I don't go hire Troy iigman,
I don't care. So he was critical of me, So
what do you think?

Speaker 5 (19:20):
Mike McDaniel hasn't heard criticism since he's gotten to the Dolphins.
Seventy five percent of the country thinks he's a pothead.
Last I check, I think he's sober. There was a
question about whether or not he was vaping on the sideline.
Guy pulled out a walkie talkie and smoked out of

(19:41):
it on the sideline. You think he gives a rip.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
What anybody thinks about him. Who cares.

Speaker 5 (19:48):
He's wearing joggers, he's still got the tags on his shoes,
He's changed his glasses up. This is the most comfortable
he's been and what do you know, they've been winning
games lately. They got a chance to go eight to nine,
which if you saw the Dolphins earlier.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
This year, you'd be like, wait, what.

Speaker 5 (20:07):
You mean that team that looked like that against the
Colts might actually end up a game below five hundred
when it's all said and done, So why would he
care if Troy Aikman's brought it?

Speaker 3 (20:19):
So what bring Troyigman? And let's go of a smoke.
Who cares? What does it matter?

Speaker 5 (20:25):
We've already made our choices here. If I was gonna
be gone, they were gonna fire me with Chris Greer.
If I was gonna be out the door, they were
going to make the move then and just start this
whole thing from scratch. But the fact that Greer got
fired and not McDaniel, and the fact that Mike McDaniel
knew that he was comfortable enough to make a move

(20:46):
at quarterback, knowing that they were going to get worse
in the process, should have told you everything you need
to know. So the fact that Troy Aikman's being brought
in and he was critical during a broadcast, none of
that matters.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
All that matters is he's got the ear of the owner.

Speaker 5 (21:06):
And if the owner's got his support and the owner
likes Mike McDaniel, we are good here.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
In fact, I'll be honest with you, he might break
out of Vave tomorrow. Who knows, why wouldn't he. That's
called job security.

Speaker 5 (21:20):
And by the way, if he does get fired on Monday,
we'll take this out of the podcast at the Jonas
Knocks on x at Jonas Knock Show on Instagram. Be
sure to subscribe to the Fox Sports Radio YouTube channel.

Have a field day.

Speaker 5 (21:55):
But again, just search Fox Sports Radio on YouTube. And
so we are going to hand out our final TGFG
Game of the Week for Week eighteen in the NFL
coming up here in just a couple of moments from now,
but for all the latest from around the world of sports,
ladies and gentlemen. For the first time in twenty twenty six,
I present to you the Dick Clark of Sports Talk Radio,

(22:20):
the one and only Sir Isaac Longcroft.

Speaker 9 (22:23):
I'm glad you had to be Clark.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
Oh yeah, that's a good point. No, that's for after hours.

Speaker 9 (22:31):
Listen.

Speaker 5 (22:31):
It's a new year, it's a new met I don't
want to go I don't want to go into the
gutter with you.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
I just want to do straight up sports talk radio show.
Come on, I'm tired of people giving me a hard time.

Speaker 9 (22:40):
You are not dead.

Speaker 5 (22:41):
I'm fed up with it, Isaac. I want some respect
around here.

Speaker 10 (22:46):
But you know, in this business, respect does not equal success.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
Yeah it's a good point. You know what, Let's get
back in the gutter then, thanks, you have a snorkel.
Let's get money.

Speaker 10 (22:57):
Come on us, go back to being rogue. Did you
have any other New Year's resolutions?

Speaker 3 (23:02):
No, I don't do New Year's resolution.

Speaker 9 (23:03):
I don't either. Yeah, it's really lame.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
I'll be on it, and can I just you mind
if I bent on that a little bit?

Speaker 10 (23:09):
Well, okay, here's here's a suggested New Year's resolution for
twenty twenty six that I've been on you about for years.
Stop asking permission to do things on your own show.
The show is literally the Jonas knoxo. Oh can I
interject this? Can I interceense manners? It's not like this
is a team effort. It's not just again, manners do
not equal success.

Speaker 5 (23:30):
Okay, well, I mean clearly. I mean, look, we're working
here on a Saturday. It's not like we are at
the top of the top of the sphere when it
comes to oh, speak for yourself, broadcast speak for ourself, cupcake.
I would say this for anybody out there that's like
making a New Year's resolution. All right, And I know
it's too late because already three days in or two

(23:51):
plus days in. Like all that you're saying when you say, hey, man,
come to January first, I'm gonna do this, all that
you're saying is.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
That you were too easy to do it a day before,
precisely precisely, like that's all it is, Like I'm waiting
till tomorrow. Oh yeah, why because it's January first, Okay,
So you're gonna be a lazy ass in December thirty
first but January first, you're gonna get it together. I'm
gonna go I'm gonna be willing to bet that you revert.

Speaker 5 (24:18):
Back to the original form under the biggest some point
within the next couple of.

Speaker 9 (24:22):
Weeks, one of the biggest scams out there.

Speaker 10 (24:23):
By the way, this is actually our top story here,
speaking of alleged scams. Have you seen this video of
Micah Shrewsbury, the notre name head coach from last night,
going after the officials, Not on the telecast, but the
video shot by a fan in the corner.

Speaker 9 (24:38):
Have you seen that yet?

Speaker 3 (24:40):
I mean, yeah, listen to he was. You know, he's
a little fiery. What do you expect they got left
out of the college football playoff?

Speaker 9 (24:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (24:46):
See, still processing things, still processing things well.

Speaker 9 (24:49):
Today, the ACC issued a public.

Speaker 10 (24:52):
Reprimand of Shrewsbury for confronting the official after last night's
controversial loss at Cal Stateman to red quote the unsportsman
line behavior that was displayed as unacceptable.

Speaker 9 (25:03):
The ACC considers this.

Speaker 10 (25:04):
Matter closed and we'll have no further comment unquote. What
the statement didn't say is that means that the ACC
will not be suspending Shrewsbury for confronting the official as
is immortalized on that viral video from a fan who
put it on social media on TikTok last night. Meanwhile,

(25:25):
in Major League Baseball, multiple outlets reported that the American
League champion Toronto Blue Jays are signing highly tauted Japanese
in theater at Kazuma Okamoto week eighteen.

Speaker 9 (25:36):
What was that? See, I'm so in tune with you.

Speaker 10 (25:41):
I can even sense when you're just breathing sarcastically.

Speaker 5 (25:45):
It's just you know, like Micaeh Shrewsbury, Like there's times
where it's like, hey, hold me back, hold me back,
and it's all fake.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
That was really you needed to hold him back?

Speaker 1 (25:53):
Yes, like that was a really like like that looked
like when the Great Ralph Irvin worked here at Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (26:04):
And uh and somebody called into the the phone lines
and called him Wreckham Ralph or they called him rectum Ralph.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
Oh.

Speaker 9 (26:13):
I didn't know this, he was not.

Speaker 5 (26:15):
He went into the other The Great Mike Mayer was
working the phones and Ralph Irvin went in it was
during the Ben Mallor.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
Show and hung up all the I didn't know this. Yeah,
that's how he got the nickname the most violent man.
In sports radio. I gave Nick answer the most violent
man in sports radio because some guy called in and
called him rectum Ralph and he lost it and went
out the phone to left. Swear to god, it looked
like Michael Shrewsbury there.

Speaker 10 (26:41):
Why don't we have why don't we have the amateur
social media of that incident?

Speaker 5 (26:45):
My god, man, I love I love being some Ralph Irban.
So you're that is the guy that is the human
pipe bomb. Go near him, You're gonna get dirty.

Speaker 10 (26:54):
So you're saying that that Ralph or the notre name
head coach Micah Shrewsbury. There's a visual resemblance to Ralph Irvin,
including the white golf esque sweater. Is that correct?

Speaker 5 (27:07):
I mean, yeah, the same attire. But I would say, like, yeah,
that same sort of that reaction. There was also the
guy for the Pistons who went after Lebron a few
years ago, who cleared, like, god, he still plays with
the team.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
What's his name? God, what's the guy's name with the Pistons?

Speaker 9 (27:24):
You know, I'll let you google that.

Speaker 10 (27:25):
But at the same time, going back and forth on
the Shrewsbury video, you noticed a new thing. Every time
the cool the most amusing thing to me is if
you watch the TikTok video from at Claire Annella, you
see number five of Notre Dame going after the official
like he's confronting the official, only to be absolutely superseded

(27:49):
by Shrewsbury storming by and number five, who was furious
before seeing just how nuclear shoes Harry's going.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
He's even like, whoa, that's correct, Like yeah, Michael shred
Is like, oh you're pissed.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Watch.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
Isaiah Stewart is the guy for the Pistons who went
after Lebron years ago.

Speaker 10 (28:08):
Oh Isaiah Stuart Okay, yeah, those are those are real
hold me back moments.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
Yeah, Like there's a bunch of fake ones, but those
are real hold me back moments.

Speaker 10 (28:17):
Speaking of a hold me back moment, it'll be holding
me back in the NFC South kind of coming up
at four point thirty Eastern Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Carolina clinches the NFC South with a win or a tie. However,
if Tampa Bay wins, things get a little interesting and
tie breakery. Tampa Bay can clench the NFC South if

(28:39):
they win, and if the Falcons lose or tie tomorrow
against the New Orleans Saints. And with that, Jonas, it
is all yours. I love the twenty twenty six Jonas.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
Knocks and so uh so if Tampa wins but Atlanta wins,
then it's a three way tie.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (28:59):
Like?

Speaker 3 (28:59):
Is it from understanding? Like that's the all be eight
to nine?

Speaker 10 (29:03):
Yeah, so it would all come down to crazy tie
breakers and things like that.

Speaker 9 (29:10):
So I and I.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
Think Carolina still gets in at that point.

Speaker 10 (29:14):
No, it would only be it would only be Carolina.

Speaker 5 (29:19):
Yeah, yeah, Carolina would get it. So even if if
if Tampa wins, they would still need help.

Speaker 10 (29:24):
Yes, so so Carolina, if they do not win, they
can still get in.

Speaker 9 (29:30):
If Atlanta beats the Saints, You're correct.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
The whole thing is just like but it's look and
here's the problem, Like I'm I'm sitting here criticizing that division,
Like I'm sitting I'm calling them the the Division of Derelex.

Speaker 9 (29:47):
And I don't think that's unfair to say that.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
And I'm still gonna bet on it, but still I don't.
Still I'm gonna I'm gonna watch every second of it.
I'm gonna be enthralled by what happens, and then one
of them is gonna host a playoff and get butchered
by probably the Rams.

Speaker 10 (30:02):
I don't think this. I don't think those two things
are mutually exclusive.

Speaker 5 (30:06):
God, but you know what, Hey, it's we're not We're
not far away if I'm not having any football, so
I'm not going to bitch too much. I don't want
to bitch too much. Like, we're not that far away.
So there we go. It is he is the great
Isaac Lowancron. Here on Fox Sports Radio. We are going
to have another edition of Do You Care coming up
here in about ten minutes from now.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
But right now it is time for the conclusion of a.

Speaker 5 (30:30):
Yearly tradition every single week during the NFL season, and
a lot of this hearkens back to the good old days,
back when high definition television first came around, when high
definition television first came around, and you had the NFL
Sunday ticket if you went to a sports bar or
you got it, like there was always one game that

(30:51):
was in standard DEV.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
Nobody knew why, nobody.

Speaker 5 (30:54):
It was almost like, hey man, we can all look,
there's there's sixteen games on in the NFL today. Hey God,
but we only have access to fifteen HD capabilities. All right,
well we got to make one of them standard deaf,
and so it was usually the game nobody cared about.
It was like the four h five Eastern timekick. It was,
you know, generally an NFC South game for being honest,
but there there's always that one game, and that one

(31:17):
game was always the standard deaf game of the week.
And I'm like, you know what, just a little throwback
to the good old days. Why don't we go ahead
and celebrate that game? Because there's usually a game every
single week in the NFL that you look at and
go you can't even really find an interesting storyline attached
to it. There's really nothing interesting to attach to this,

(31:38):
especially in week eighteen when people are resting starters and
you don't know who's going to be playing, and there's
teams playing for draft picks. So, without further ado, our
TGFG game of the week, our thank god for gambling
game of the week in the NFL in Week eighteen,
Gohoes two Commanders at Eagles.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
Oh, and away we go with the Commanders and Eagles,
And you're probably thinking to yourself.

Speaker 5 (32:05):
But why why Philly's going to the postseason? The Eagles
are the defending Super Bowl champions. Yeah, they're also not
playing anybody, Okay. Nick Sirianni and the Philadelphi Eagles have
already said Jalen Hurts is not playing all right, So
I believe we're gonna get Tanner McKee.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
I believe Tanner.

Speaker 5 (32:27):
McKee is going to be the starting quarterback for the
Philadelphi Eagles. And it appears that not only do we
get Tanner McKee as the starting quarterback for the Philadelphi Eagles,
we're also going to get Josh Johnson, a thirty nine
year old who has played for fourteen NFL teams. He's
had experience with fourteen teams in the NFL. He's basically

(32:51):
a Kardashian and he's going to get the start in
Week eighteen against the Philadelphie Eagles, who don't care about
this game.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
That's why the Eagles are resting all their starters.

Speaker 5 (33:02):
So as we bid farewell to the TGFG Game of
the Week for twenty twenty five into twenty twenty six,
we celebrate the defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
And the Washington Commanders. A down season for Washington, the
same old up and down season for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Your TGFG game of the Week in Week eighteen goes
to Commander's Eagles at four to twenty five.

Speaker 5 (33:31):
At the Jonas Knox on X at Jonas Knox Show
on Instagram.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
And up next it's another edition of Do You.

Speaker 5 (33:38):
Care, And it's yours right here on FSR Jonas Knox
Fox Sports Radio. Coming up and we'll call it a
little over twelve minutes from now, we're going to tell
you about somebody in the NFL who is going to
be breathing a sigh.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
Of relief in like three days.

Speaker 5 (33:57):
It's pretty sweet. We'll get into that for you. Coming
up again a little over twelve minutes from now. That'll
be yours right here on FSR. You can follow along
on social media. On X you can find me at
the Jonas Knox You can also go to the Instagram
page for the show at Jonas Knox Show. But right now,
it's time for another edition of this.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
There are so many stories in the world of sports,
and most of them are a complete waste of time.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
DMS your reports, let's get kinky.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Here's some of the big stories from the last week.
But Jonas, the real question is do.

Speaker 5 (34:32):
You care, And for that, we turn it over to
our executive producer, Bo Benson to find out what the
hell people have been talking about all week.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Bo.

Speaker 11 (34:40):
Yeah, well, when you know, Lane Kiffin left ole Miss
for greener pastures over at LSU, I don't think anyone
expected them to win a couple of playoff games and
be the ware where they are. But that also means
that ole Miss is going to lose some of its
coaching staff to Lane Kiffin at LSU before their CFP
semi final versus Miami. I guess the latest reports are
that Charlie Weis Junior will stay with ole Miss, but again,

(35:02):
they're going to lose some coaches.

Speaker 9 (35:04):
So Jonas, do you care? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (35:06):
I think it sucks for ole Miss.

Speaker 5 (35:09):
I think they've all of a sudden become people are
realizing with Trinidad Shamliss.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
And like, oh, you know what this is.

Speaker 5 (35:15):
It is a really talented team, and it is a
team that's you know, left without a coach, and they've
got these assistants sticking around, and you see the second
half they had against Georgia and now they find themselves
in this spot and it's almost like everybody's rooting for
him because they know they got the shaft. Kirby smart was.
You know, he's sitting there hugging Pete Golding because he realizes,
hey man, you were putting a really tough spot. You've

(35:35):
done a great job. We're happy for you. The way
Lane Kiffen and I like Lane Kifvin, but way the
way he handled it. The whole thing just got obnoxious
towards the end. So I look at it and I go, dude,
if you're old miss, you want to keep rolling, but
you're losing coaches left and right now. The assistants have
to bail. I think all of a sudden, the Rebels
have become the team people are cheering for in this

(35:56):
college football semi final.

Speaker 11 (35:57):
Next, the Los Angeles Angels reached structured the contract of
third basement Anthony Rendon, effectively ending his tenure with the team. Jonas,
do you care?

Speaker 3 (36:06):
Yeah, I do. Listen. I'm a huge Anthony Rendon fan.

Speaker 5 (36:10):
I think it's a guy who lives in reality, not
the made up, fake sports reality that a lot of
people live by to where it's like, hey man, like
this is all about your best effort and the team.

Speaker 3 (36:23):
You got to be a team player. You got to
do this.

Speaker 5 (36:25):
You got to do that in Anthony Rendon a couple
of years ago is like, my team's my family, Like,
what are you talking about? What does he care? He
won a World Series, he was in the MVP conversation,
he got over two hundred million dollars, and he's going
to be out the game healthy and hanging out with

(36:45):
his family and spending time and doing what he wants
to do for the rest of his life.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
Sounds like a pretty good gig to me.

Speaker 11 (36:50):
Next, the New York Rangers beat the Florida Panthers in
the National Hockey League's first ever outdoor game in Florida.

Speaker 3 (36:57):
Jonas, Do you care? No, I don't.

Speaker 5 (37:00):
I liked the Winter Classic. It was really cool when
it happened years ago. I remember, you know, as a
Penguins fan watching Sydney Crosby and the Buffalo Sabers and
it's like, oh man, you know, the Crosby wins in
a overtime and there's snow on the ice, and it
was like it man, it was really really cool. And
then it's just gone over and over and over and

(37:22):
over and over again, and you got college football games,
you got all these other things going on.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
It was. It was awesome the way it.

Speaker 5 (37:29):
Was presented the first time, maybe the second time, and
after that it just kind of ran its course and
I didn't watch a single second of it.

Speaker 11 (37:36):
Next Oh crap, one second, Jonah, sorry, hold on, that's listen, Hey,
listen live radio. Things happen.

Speaker 10 (37:45):
Yeah, face yeah.

Speaker 11 (37:48):
Steelers defensive end TJ. Watt is ready to go and
will play tomorrow against the Ravens.

Speaker 9 (37:53):
Do you care?

Speaker 3 (37:55):
Yeah, I tell you what. I love it.

Speaker 10 (37:57):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (37:57):
I care because that means he hasn't been stabbed in
the anytime recently. Like, that's what I care.

Speaker 3 (38:02):
About, all right.

Speaker 5 (38:03):
This is a guy who's very valuable to the team,
and if they would have had to go another game
without him and DK Metcalf, I wouldn't like their chances.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
I'm not saying I like their chances.

Speaker 5 (38:12):
Anyways, but it is going to be nice to have
him back out on the field and healthy, and hopefully
they can keep the needles and whatever else they're using
in the facility away from him so you can get
out there and suit up for kickoff next.

Speaker 11 (38:24):
The Denver Broncos and the Philadelphia Eagles, among a few others,
but those two most notably will wear their throwback uniforms tomorrow,
the ones that everybody loves, but they will also both
be resting most of their starters.

Speaker 9 (38:36):
Jonas, do you care? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (38:37):
I do.

Speaker 5 (38:38):
If anybody knows me, they I'm a big fan of
both the Broncos throwbacks, the Eagles throwbacks, the Seahawks throwbacks.

Speaker 3 (38:45):
The Giants.

Speaker 5 (38:46):
I love that the Jets are going with the old
Jets logo instead of that circular Ny Jets crap they
had for a while, and I'd oh, well that was
from the sixties.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
Okay, cool, cool from the sixties. What do you want?

Speaker 5 (39:00):
He want us to be amish the rest of our lives?
You got advance, Okay, you gotta move on. They did,
and I think we're better for it. And I'll say this,
this may be a hot take you want to run
with something social media team, I'll tell you this right now.
I'd rather watch backups in the throwbacks.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
Than starters in the new unis. How about that. Put
at in your go viral pipe and smoke it next.

Speaker 11 (39:24):
Jonas, I don't really have anything here for you. I
just want you to see I want you to go
see Marty Supreme. Everybody in this building, in this room, Chris, Is.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
That a superhero movie?

Speaker 2 (39:32):
No, it is.

Speaker 11 (39:33):
Did you watch Uncut Gems with Adam Sandler? Yeah, it
is the follow up to that, their director, Josh Safti.

Speaker 9 (39:41):
It's a great movie.

Speaker 11 (39:42):
Yeah, it's a great movie. And I wish they would
have marketed it more as his follow up to it
because it's the exact same kind of movie. So, if
you liked Uncut Gems, you like Marty Supreme Man. It's
sports related because he's playing table tennis in it.

Speaker 5 (39:53):
Wait, so so why the name Marty. Doesn't that sound
like a superhero movie kind of Marty Souprian.

Speaker 11 (39:59):
It sounds like a pizza, Yeah, pizza. Yeah, but it's wonderful.
It's a great movie.

Speaker 3 (40:05):
Now, is it better than Uncut Gems?

Speaker 11 (40:08):
Yes, that's tough, that's tough, but yes.

Speaker 3 (40:11):
Wow, really you're gonna get better than Uncut JEMs.

Speaker 11 (40:13):
I think it is Uncut Gems, but I think it's better.

Speaker 3 (40:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (40:16):
And by the way, Uncut Gems, that's that's as realistic
as it gets, man, because I know a lot of
those two generals, flunky gamblers. I happen to know, uh,
you know, somebody through somebody else who may or may
not have met their on their untimely fate because of us.

Speaker 3 (40:28):
Some things gone wrong.

Speaker 5 (40:29):
But again, like that's that world, and you get involved
in that world and it's a struggle. It's why I say,
Knox locks, it's not for the faint of heart, but
a you heard it from Bo Benson himself, see Marty Supreme.
It's not a superhero movie. It's not a pizza. It
probably should have gotten another title for being honest. So
there is somebody in the NFL that's gonna be breathing

(40:52):
a sigh of relief coming up here in just a
couple of days. We'll tell you who that is right
here on Fox Sports Radio. Jonas Knox with you here.
You can listen to us as always on the iHeartRadio app.
You can find us on hundreds of affiliates all across
the country and wherever you are making us a part
of your Saturday, we appreciate you doing so. If you're
listening on the podcast, we appreciate you as well. It

(41:14):
is the first edition here of twenty twenty six, and
we are off and running here. We got a couple
of NFL games later on. You've got the Bucks and
the Saints.

Speaker 3 (41:26):
Excuse me, not the same. It should be the Saints.

Speaker 5 (41:28):
You know what, why don't they all forge just play
a little battle Royal, the Bucks and the Panthers coming
up later on to win the NFC South. Even though
there's different ways Carolina can still get in, the whole
thing's ridiculous. And then you've got the main event Seahawks
forty nine ers, which will cap off this Saturday doubleheader
in the NFL with a couple of divisions, some number
one seeds on the line. And then you've got other

(41:49):
teams in the NFL that are making their own decisions.
All right now, I was saying earlier, because you're getting
all these reports about coaches that are going to be
on the hot seed and coaches that are going to
be out the door. Pete Carroll reportedly it looks like
a one and done situation with the Raiders that Pete
Carroll's going to be gone after this year. And my
thought on that is, well, if that's the case, dude,
go out with a bang, show that competitive spirit, win

(42:12):
your final game, and cost the Raiders the number one pick.

Speaker 3 (42:16):
Pete Carroll knows the writing is on the wall, So
if you're going to do it, do it. Right go out.
You're all about competition.

Speaker 5 (42:24):
Let it happen and spoil the Raiders getting that number
one pick. You're still going to need some help from
the Giants. They need to cooperate. So it's a long shot,
but it is possible. And then you've got Mike McDaniel.
There's the report that Troy Aikman is going to be
brought in to consult with the GM. There's some thought
that since Troy Aikman was critical of Mike McDaniel during
a Monday night telecast that maybe Mike McDaniel he could

(42:47):
be on the hot seat. All of a sudden, it
looked like he was fine and he could be out
the door. And my thought on that is, dude, just
look around. The GM already got fired, the quarterback got benched.
If they were going to fire Mike McDaniel, they would
have done it when they fired Chris Career. And the
fact that Mike McDaniel was comfortable enough to make a
change at quarterback to get worse, to see what he's got.

(43:09):
And the next guy in quinn Ewers tells me he's
pretty certain he's going to be back. So you've got
all these different stories and there's other coaches, Jonathan Gann
and all these guys that are out there, and it's like, man,
are they going to be back? And they're not going
to be back well. Kevin Stefanski of the Cleveland Browns,
he has been the subject of a lot of conversations

(43:33):
about whether or not he's going to be back another
disappointing season in Cleveland. It's been a little bit of
a mess, and so Kevin Stefanski earlier this week was
asked about the job situation is job status, and he's
letting everybody know how privileged he is to even have
the gig deep to begin with.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
As you can imagine, my sole focus is on this
game versus Cincinnati, but I also would tell you I'm.

Speaker 3 (43:59):
Privileged to have this job. Well.

Speaker 5 (44:04):
Kevin Stefanski, according to reports, is going to be done
following this final game against the Cincinnati Bengals. That the
Cleveland Browns are going to move on now. Jimmy Haslam
is reportedly going to sit down and discuss everything on
Monday morning. But the expectation, according to reports several reports
out there, is that the Cleveland Browns are going to

(44:27):
move on from Kevin Stefanski and The person that is
most excited about that report is Kevin Stefanski. Okay, because
we've all been here. We've all been here. You ever
been kind of excited to get bad news, you know

(44:47):
what I mean? Or like have something canceled? Kind of excited?
Come on, we've all been there.

Speaker 3 (44:55):
Hey, honey, yep, ough, so and so got sick. They're
canceling the party later. Oh that's awful, boy, Like, gosh,
I guess we can't go hang out there and have
an awful time. Boy, that sure sucks. Man, What a bummer? Boy?

Speaker 2 (45:18):
What?

Speaker 3 (45:18):
What a real bummer? That sucks? Like? Kevin Savanski's looking around, going,
you're firing me, sweet? Like, what do you like?

Speaker 7 (45:31):
Like?

Speaker 3 (45:31):
It's like getting getting dumped before. You've got to be
the one to do the dumping. It's great. Hey, I've been.

Speaker 5 (45:38):
Thinking, yeah, me too. This isn't working. I need to
find somebody else.

Speaker 3 (45:44):
Oh gosh, that's uh, that's a shame. Man.

Speaker 5 (45:52):
Well, best of luck and hope everything works out. God,
I gotta go. Are you gonna be okay?

Speaker 3 (46:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (46:01):
I just I need some space and some time, and
clearly you do too. Take care of yourself. Delete the number,
move on, go hit on one of her friends that
you've been thinking about for two years, and then just
live the rest of your life in peace. Like that's
Kevin Stefanski. Getting relieved of his duties in Cleveland means

(46:23):
that Kevin Stefanski can finally take a sigh of relief
and he can finally take a breath of fresh air
and go, get me away from this. Can I get
away from this? Like I gotta go, dude, I've done
my part. And whether people want to sit there and
claim that, well, Kevin Stefanski was part of the reason

(46:43):
that Baker Mayfield the falling out there and whatnot. Okay,
whatever you want to say, like, well, you know him
and Baker Mayfield didn't get along.

Speaker 3 (46:51):
Whatever.

Speaker 5 (46:51):
Look, it was a mess at the end. Baker Mayfield
was injured. Try to play through it. They tried to
get a deal done, They talked extension. There's a thirty
million dollar number that was on the table.

Speaker 2 (47:01):
All of that.

Speaker 5 (47:02):
It was a mess, but it got superseded by everything
that happened afterwards. And still in all of that, still
Kevin Stefanski took a team to the playoffs and won
Coach of the Year again. And if you're the Cleveland Browns.
If you're a Browns fan, this is the move that

(47:23):
I look at and.

Speaker 3 (47:24):
Go, oh boy, I don't know, I don't know, I
don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (47:27):
Because Kevin Stefanski's going to get a job this year
this hiring cycle. When that happens, that tells you what
you need to know about the opinion of that guy.

Speaker 3 (47:40):
Around the league.

Speaker 5 (47:42):
When Mike Tomlin came out weeks ago and made the comment, yeah,
you know, I'm still kind of scratching my head, I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (47:50):
You know, what would motivate.

Speaker 5 (47:51):
A team to want to trade their starting quarterback to
another team in the division? The way Albert Breer explained,
it was Mike Tomlin and Kevin Stefanski year close. Mike
Tomlin knows that Kevin Stefanski got kind of railroaded by
the Browns in that deal, got kind of blindsided, and
he was sticking up for his guy.

Speaker 3 (48:10):
Kevin Stefanski set all the right things.

Speaker 5 (48:13):
He's never had an outburst, he's never been publicly frustrated,
he's never called anybody out. He's done all the right things.
He's set all the right things, He's handled it the
right way. Have they been disappointing, Yes, Neil and else
has been disappointing in Cleveland. The decisions made by the owner.
That's what's been disappointing. And it's not all of them.

(48:35):
It's not all the Look they've had a really good
rookie draft class, like there is talent, Like they've got
talent there. The problem is what happened at quarterback. You
completely set the franchise back completely and you forced that
coach into a spot to where he's got to try

(48:57):
and rally the team and win games where they're lacking
in a position because a guy can't stay healthy, can't
stay out of the massage parlors, another guy they let
walk in the off.

Speaker 3 (49:08):
Season, and it just the whole thing is a mess.

Speaker 5 (49:14):
So when you see these reports come out about coaches
on the hot seat and coaches that are going to
be out the door, and coaches like all these things
that are going to happen, Like some of the coaches
you look at, like a Pete Carroll for example, Pete
Carroll probably never going to get an opportunity in the
NFL again or in college.

Speaker 3 (49:30):
It's kind of.

Speaker 5 (49:31):
Sad, like this is the guy who's coached for a
long time and has had success. Whether you want to
talk about you know, his previous days or the Patriots
and all that, or you want to talk about the
run he had and with the USC Trojans, you want
to talk about the run he at in Seattle. And
now he gets to the Raiders and it looks like
his final year is going to be a disaster.

Speaker 3 (49:53):
That sucks.

Speaker 5 (49:54):
You hate to see somebody go out like that. Mike
McDaniel's going to be around. There's other coaches that are
gonna be let go. They're gonna get an opportunity eventually
at some point. Again, like I'll be like, so there's
different stories behind each one.

Speaker 3 (50:07):
Kevin Stefanski, he's like, oh my gosh, where's the bad news. Hey,
where's the bad news.

Speaker 5 (50:18):
Kevin Stefanski just got dumped and he reached into his
pocket for a tissue and pulled out a winning lotto scratcher.
Oh my god, it's good that they get any better.
If you don't say, oh my boy, this is what
what a bark? He will be hired this offseason. He's fine.

(50:39):
The Browns are a problem. Kevin Stevanski's fine. Like, if
you're the Giants, you wouldn't look at Kevin Stevanski and
go that'll work. Like like, if you're the Giant, you
wouldn't look at Kevin Savanski and be like, all right,
that that could make some sense.

Speaker 3 (50:56):
If you're the Raiders.

Speaker 5 (51:00):
And you were going to be drafting a quarterback and
you wanted to hire a coach, a younger coach, and
somebody that you could just rely that you've seen have success,
recent success, Kevin Stefanski would be a home run higher anywhere.

Speaker 3 (51:16):
He's handled it the right way.

Speaker 5 (51:18):
He's dealt with all the bs, all the garbage that's
come from being the Browns head coach over the past
several years. Never an outburst, never, never anything. And he
finds himself after another disappointing season.

Speaker 3 (51:34):
Only to be.

Speaker 5 (51:34):
Told, hey, we're going to move on from you, when
the reality is this is exactly the result that he
was hoping was going to happen. Didn't quit on his team,
didn't walk away from his team. They're going to fire him,
They're going to break up with him, and he's going
to find himself in a much better spot. So when
you see that, hey, Kevin Stefanski looks like his final

(51:56):
game is Brown's head coach is coming up around the corner.
The one per and happiest about that is Kevin Stefanski.
Believe me at the Jonas Knox on X at Jonas
Knox Show on Instagram and you can hang out with
us as always on the iHeartRadio app. All right, it's
coming up next here. We are going to tell you
about a plan that a team had in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (52:18):
That completely failed. All right, it has been a failure.

Speaker 5 (52:22):
Even though the season hasn't this plan that they had
has been a failure, and apparently they're going to tweak
some things going into next year.

Speaker 3 (52:28):
That's yours right here on FSR. We don't need to
bring Jonas in.

Speaker 5 (52:32):
Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio. Coming up, we'll call it
a little over ten minutes from now. We are going
to tell you about a down year for one aspect
of the NFL.

Speaker 3 (52:44):
It happens from time to time, all right, it happens.

Speaker 5 (52:47):
But the problem is there's a lot of people who
are expecting so much more.

Speaker 3 (52:52):
We'll get into that.

Speaker 5 (52:52):
For you again coming up here a little over ten
minutes from now. Also a lot of positive feedback here
on the show. A lot of people chiming in fans
of the first show, the first Jonas Knox Show for
twenty twenty six. Like Peter, who writes in this Flamer,
his new Year's resolution is to locate and get smashed

(53:12):
out by bigger bleeps like the bleep smoker you are,
Dan writes in nothing gets this bleep, Joni, all bleep
wadded out in your thong more than envisioning the playmaker

(53:33):
Michael Irvin giving you the whip until your bleep explodes.
You bordop bleep at the Jonas Knocks on X. At

(53:53):
the insulting tweets that are sent in throughout the course

rude comments that are made in the middle of a

Vikings had a plan before the year it failed. The

(54:36):
plan was that the Vikings were going to turn the
keys over to JJ McCarthy and they were going to
get an answer long term on the quarterback position.

Speaker 3 (54:46):
But they believed he was going to be the guy.

Speaker 5 (54:48):
And then the season played out, and it played out
the way that it has for the majority of JJ
McCarthy's career, he's been injured, it's been inconsistent, it's just
been a problem. Acording to Diana Rassini of The Athletic,
JJ McCarthy will return to the Vikings next season, but
it doesn't guarantee he'll be the starter. The Vikings were

(55:10):
looking for emphatic proof this season that he's the long
term answer, and because of a series of injuries, they
never got it.

Speaker 3 (55:17):
So over the.

Speaker 5 (55:17):
Next few months, source to say the Minnesota Vikings plan
to explore established options via trade or free agency to
strengthen its quarterback room. Well yeah, yeah, Like that's pretty
much what we've gotten from this whole situation. Because it

(55:38):
was Diana Rossini who reported before the year that the
reason the Vikings didn't bring back a Sam Darnold, the
reason the Vikings didn't land Aaron Rodgers and make that
more of a reality, even though they had conversations, is
because they viewed that they had a three year window,

(55:59):
and in this three year window, they thought they could
develop JJ McCarthy and still go chase the Super Bowl.
The problem is, one year just went down the drain,
and it's like, you know the old adage, you want
to make God laugh, tell them your plans. Like the
Minnesota Vikings had this plan like they're coming. They got this,

(56:20):
this whole big, elaborate plan, like we've got a three
year super Bowl window. We're going to do this with
this quarterback and this quarterback, and all of a sudden,
God just say, excuse you, no, that's not how this works.
And so now they find themselves in a spot to
where look you going to next year. Green Bay is
always going to be a contender, because that's just what
they do. The Bears look like they've got a chance,

(56:43):
although it could like look like the Washington Commanders of
this year, next year for the Bears if they don't
get some of the bounces and.

Speaker 3 (56:48):
Breaks that they usually get.

Speaker 5 (56:49):
And Detroit still got a really good roster, and Dan
Campbell's going to make changes. So that's not exactly the
easiest division to just play around with years because you've
got a window. You don't get to control how long
that window's open. For the most part, like Mother Nature
will close that bad boy for you in a hurry,

(57:12):
and she did this year for the Vikings because even
when JJ McCarthy's and that's the other problem of this,
like if anybody tells you JJ McCarthy can't play, he's
not a quarterback, he's not they don't know, just like
the Vikings didn't know that he could because he's been injured.
There's always something that seemingly comes up. It's the same look.

(57:34):
It's not as drastic as maybe Anthony Richardson. I mean,
Anthony Richardson just has no luck whatsoever when it comes
to injuries.

Speaker 3 (57:42):
He just doesn't.

Speaker 5 (57:44):
Like, you know, he's you know, concussions, a physical style
of play, like he got banged up early on shoulder
or whatnot. All these things that have happened. And then
he decides to opt out because he's tired in the
middle of a drive that didn't land. Unfortunately that's going
to be carried with him his entire career. And then
he's working out with an exercise band on the locker,

(58:05):
like one of those exercise bands, and it snaps and
breaks his face. Like Anthony Richardson got Vanilla skiede with
an exercise band.

Speaker 3 (58:19):
Nobody's got worse luck.

Speaker 5 (58:20):
With injuries than Anthony Richardson, and so JJ McCarthy. It
isn't that drastic. But you are looking around if you're
a Vikings fan, going, I don't know, dude, like and
that's the problem.

Speaker 3 (58:33):
You don't know, You have no answers.

Speaker 5 (58:35):
You'd like an answer one way or the other, but
you're in this limbo to where you're not sure whether
or not that's the guy that you can rely on
moving forward, and based on his health, you can't. And
so the vit you know, when Diana Rassini reports this,
and you know, goes on to say that, well, you know,
despite all the you know, while while Minnesota is open

(58:57):
to bringing in a veteran you know, for or JJ McCarthy,
Kevin O'Connell and GM Questia Dolpha Menza have no plans
to move on from the quarterback they traded up to
draft less than two years ago. Well, yeah, they're not
going to just release him. They're going to give it
another try. But if he gets outplayed, it's over. And

(59:19):
whatever this three year plan was that they thought they
had this three year window, the conversation completely changes. And
that's why when you look at where they are this
year and where they could have been, that's where the
discussions come in. Because Sam Donald wanted to come back,

(59:39):
why wouldn't he and they wanted to move on. Daniel
Jones is in the building, but you had other options.
There other options on the table in the building that
you could have rolled with for another year. You could
have franchised tagged Sam Donald, and you could have brought
back JJ McCarthy and let him develop for another year
and really kept that window open. And I do wonder

(01:00:04):
if Sam Donald had played better in the final two
games of last year, what was the conversation going to
be like. But it's almost like Sam Donald's performance in
those final two games might have made their decision for him,
and it shouldn't have because he was great for the
majority of the year. So the report that Diana Rassini
has out that the Vikings are planning on bringing in competition,

(01:00:24):
it's why I'm not surprised JJ McCarthy's playing tomorrow. So, yeah,
he's going to be playing tomorrow, of.

Speaker 3 (01:00:28):
Course he is.

Speaker 5 (01:00:30):
You need to get a look like, you have to
try and figure this thing out because they have no answers.
And that's the real issue with this whole thing is
they were hoping to get some clarity, hoping to get
some understanding as to where they're at at the quarterback position,
and they don't have it again. So now it's going
to be year three for JJ McCarthy and they're gonna
have to go back to what they did last year,

(01:00:50):
bringing a veteran, create some competition to try and figure
out whether or not this three year window still exists.
Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio, at the Jonas Knox
on app, at Jonas Knox Show on Instagram, and up
next here we're going to tell you about how it's
a down year. It is a down year for the
NFL in one aspect, right, there's one part of it
that's down. Unfortunately, it's kind of a major achievement. So

(01:01:13):
that's a little bit of an issue. We'll get into
that for you right here on FSR, but for all
the latest from around the world of sports, ladies and gentlemen.
A man who is so accomplished as a broadcaster that
in the final show of twenty twenty five he decided,
I'm good, I'm gonna pull on Anthony Richardson.

Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
I'm going to opt out. But he's back for.

Speaker 5 (01:01:32):
Twenty twenty six and he's the one and only, Sir
Isaac Walcront.

Speaker 10 (01:01:35):
I'm glad you weren't offended by the fact that I
got you exercise bands for Christmas.

Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
Hey, you know they work. By the way I do
use it, it's completely changed how I use exercise bands
based on say about Anthony Richardson.

Speaker 9 (01:01:51):
Did you have to sign a waiver before working out?

Speaker 5 (01:01:55):
Although I would say this, you don't have to worry
about me snapping him because I'm not physically gifted as
Anthony Richardson, true, not as strong, so you don't have
to worry about that. But you got to be careful, man.
You know you got to be listen. It's you know,
you got to pay the price sometimes to deal with
the grind to get to where you want to go.

Speaker 10 (01:02:12):
That has to be the unluckiest sports injury of all
time by that's far.

Speaker 3 (01:02:20):
Yeah, it's awful.

Speaker 9 (01:02:21):
I mean there's it's.

Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
Not even a made up one, Like there's made up
like remember.

Speaker 10 (01:02:25):
When Jeff Kent absolutely Vladimir ron Monovich.

Speaker 3 (01:02:28):
Yeah, Like what was the Jeff.

Speaker 5 (01:02:30):
Ken injury again where it was like, oh, yeah, slipped
in the driveway.

Speaker 9 (01:02:33):
While washing his car or something and he was really
on a motorcycle.

Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, when he wasn't supposed to be.

Speaker 5 (01:02:39):
Yeah, there's there's those injuries where you know somebody's lying,
they're just not telling the truth, like the uh, the
Trayvon Digs one, there's I don't know if you've seen
any of the uh the rumors that have been out
there about Trayvon Diggs.

Speaker 9 (01:02:51):
Oh I've seen them.

Speaker 3 (01:02:52):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (01:02:52):
So like you know about there may or may not
have been like somebody else's.

Speaker 9 (01:02:58):
Lady involved and I can neither confirm nor deny it, Okay.

Speaker 5 (01:03:02):
Yeah, So there's just been all sorts of like wild
speculation out there, and Jane Slater has made it a
point to let everybody know she's got the information, like
she's made it a point like we've seen videos of
like all the TV that fell on his head, and
it just none of it adds up, none of it
makes any sense. But you know, apparently we're supposed to
believe that a TV fell on his head.

Speaker 3 (01:03:22):
Okay, all right, whatever you say. We're weak for the
Diggs family. Huh.

Speaker 10 (01:03:28):
Perhaps this could have happened if said TV had previously
been held in place by exercise bands, the same band.
I mean, think about it. It's not out of the
realm of possibility. I'm with you. By the way, speaking
of injuries, do you remember a Major League Baseball player
named Glenn Allen Hill?

Speaker 3 (01:03:50):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 5 (01:03:52):
Okay, anybody, if anybody wants to look up the biggest
home run ever hit, like, oh you can take can
leave your show. Heyo, TAWNI to the side, go look
up Glenn Allen Hill home run at Wrigley Field. He
literally hit it on the roof across the street. And
it was a half swing, literally like a half swing,
didn't even go all the way around on the swing,

(01:04:13):
and he was so jacked the ball ended up across
the street on the roof.

Speaker 9 (01:04:17):
Are you ready to believe it?

Speaker 10 (01:04:18):
Are you ready for a Glen Allen Hill injury update
the all please? Okay, so this is a true story.
Do you know what a rachnophobia is?

Speaker 3 (01:04:27):
Yeah, for a spider.

Speaker 9 (01:04:29):
It's a fear of spiders.

Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
So Glenn al movie too.

Speaker 10 (01:04:32):
It was the scariest movie that I still am scarred
by today. My best friend and the best man in
my wedding, Chris Barden, insisted we watch that movie at
his house.

Speaker 9 (01:04:43):
I had nightmares before. I mean, I was eight years old.

Speaker 10 (01:04:46):
You show an eight year old about a movie about
spiders attacking you, you're gonna have nightmares.

Speaker 5 (01:04:52):
I gotta show you this picture then, I fat, Please,
don't afraid. I'm not afraid of spiders at all. But
there was a spider that I just kind of left
hanging on the TV outside and it jumped on my
wife when she was walking.

Speaker 3 (01:05:05):
And I'll what's this thing?

Speaker 6 (01:05:08):
Was huge?

Speaker 9 (01:05:10):
I'm sure she was your hero for doing absolutely nothing.

Speaker 3 (01:05:12):
I want to be clear. The spider's that's what I
was afraid.

Speaker 9 (01:05:15):
I'm sure it was.

Speaker 10 (01:05:16):
So anyway, Glenn Allen Hill wound up on the disabled
list because he was in a rachmophobic. He had a
nightmare that he was being attacked by spiders. He started
sleep walking and trying to run away, kind of half asleep,
half awake, and he crashed into a glass table and
went on.

Speaker 9 (01:05:33):
The disabled list with bruises in his feet.

Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
True story, I mean that, Does I buy that story?

Speaker 10 (01:05:39):
Are you ready for it? Are you ready for a
Glen Allen Hill Wrigley Field reminiscence?

Speaker 9 (01:05:44):
You ready give it to me? Six four home runs
and ten driven in this is chip carry I take it. Yes,
you like the red shoes.

Speaker 3 (01:05:52):
Of the blue shoes. But on the end like that,
I like the Glorisers.

Speaker 5 (01:05:56):
Guy right, Oh my god, he had up to the
roof across that straight.

Speaker 3 (01:06:05):
I have never seen that on top of the pilot.

Speaker 9 (01:06:09):
I've never heard of him doing that before you told
me about that. That's amazing. I've never seen anybody to
this day of that.

Speaker 5 (01:06:15):
Just a pipe shot. And the best part, if you
can explain it, he didn't even go full swing. He
didn't need to. Like he literally goes half swing and
it's it's well over five hundred feet. I didn't even
know where what it ended up, you know, coming in
as But that's that's the biggest home run I've ever
seen in my life. He was Jack, by the way,
you know, my one of the great ship carry lines

(01:06:36):
I've ever heard. Oh, no, I hope it's what. I
hope it's something other than what I think you're going
to say. But go, I believe what you're offering to
something recent. No, he it was something along the lines.
Up he's I'm trying to think of the layout here,
so chip chip chip Carry's like all right, so.

Speaker 3 (01:06:54):
All right, so the uh.

Speaker 5 (01:06:56):
The Cubs are now down six nothing bottom of the fifth,
nothing going right, bases are loaded and right about now.

Speaker 3 (01:07:05):
I wish I was too. Ah, it was just smooth
and you know what, he was, probably right, just like
his granddaddy, probably right.

Speaker 10 (01:07:14):
Who we talked about, Harry, who we've talked about many
times on this show, including for his literal drinking log
back in the day. Well, the kickoff for our first
game of week eighteen, Jonas is less than an hour away,
and the inactives have come out for the showdown between
the Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers. Carolina clinches the NFC South

(01:07:34):
with a win or a tie. Bucks can clinch the
NFC South with a win and a Falcons loss or
tie tomorrow against the Saints. Carolina defensive tackle to Shan
Wharton is inactive because of a hamstring injury. For the Buccaneers,
defensive tackle Elijah Cansei is active. He's back after missing
the last fourteen games with a pectoral injury. Tampa Bay

(01:07:55):
left tackle Tristan Wurfs is active. He'd been limited in
practice this week due to turf. In college basketball, today,
the ACC issued a public reprimand of Notre Dame head
coach Micah Shrewsbury for confronting an official after a controversial
loss last night at Cal. However, what that means is
the reprimand only the ACC will not be suspending Shrewsbury

(01:08:17):
for confronting said official. Finally, in Major League Baseball, multiple
outlets reporting today with the American League champion Toronto Blue
Jays signing highly touted Japanese in theater Kazuma Okamoto to
a four year, sixty million dollar deal. Jonas, back to
you and thank you for telling me about this Glen

(01:08:38):
Allen Hill home run over Waveland Avenue onto the rooftops
from two thousand appreciated.

Speaker 3 (01:08:46):
Listen, you know what I think. That's why I'm here,
you know, give you twenty six year old information. You
know what I mean? Like that's yea, I know, cheat
that all.

Speaker 5 (01:08:53):
He's just here to, like, you know, give some bad
takes in the middle of a Saturday while it's raining
in southern California. No, no, no, no. By the way,
ask me anything. Twenty six years ago, I got you covered.

Speaker 10 (01:09:02):
On a related story to talk about these injuries that
we discussed.

Speaker 9 (01:09:06):
You can check your mentions for.

Speaker 10 (01:09:09):
Interesting tweet about you and a thigh master mishap highly
appropriate back to you.

Speaker 3 (01:09:14):
What's wrong with the thime master?

Speaker 10 (01:09:17):
Apparently nothing according to this person who tweeted about you.

Speaker 5 (01:09:20):
Hey, you know, if it's got a muscle, you gotta
work it out. Words I live by, Yeah, so a
lot of people live by those words. By the way,
I do want to do you want to let everybody
know that Knox Locks will be appearing coming up at
about twelve minutes from now.

Speaker 3 (01:09:34):
It's just.

Speaker 5 (01:09:37):
Yeah, I mean, there's gag jobs and then there's what's
happened when it comes to my picks. The last four
weeks just absolutely awful. We find ourselves in an almost
impossible spot. But that'll be yours.

Speaker 3 (01:09:46):
Here again coming up in about twelve minutes from now.
All right, Sometimes it's just a bit of a down year.

Speaker 5 (01:10:00):
It just it happens, you know, Like anybody remember the
movie on Nora or Coda. Anybody remember those movies. Yeah,
they won Best Picture. Probably safe to say those were
down years. And I'll just say this, while I don't

(01:10:22):
necessarily think that Drake May is on the level of
Matthew Stafford, and there's been some questions about, you know,
his strength of competition and what he's done in games
against teams with winning records and whatnot. Like while I
look at it and I go, eh, you know, I
just I don't think it's just Drake May as it

(01:10:43):
stands right now, is probably gonna be the MVP of
the NFL.

Speaker 3 (01:10:47):
He's probably gonna be the MVP of the league. It's true.
The betting odds would say so. And the only other
guys that are really.

Speaker 5 (01:10:55):
In conversation would be a Matthew Stafford, who had an
all full performance on Monday Night in primetime standalone game,
which is why the odds are where they are, and
then maybe Christian McCaffrey. Other than that, Drake May is
probably going to be your MVP, And whoever wins MVP,
you're going to be able to find flaws and it's

(01:11:16):
going to be considered a down year for the award.

Speaker 2 (01:11:19):
It just is.

Speaker 5 (01:11:20):
It doesn't mean that the award isn't something to feel
great about. It does feel like Sean mcvay's gone out
of his way to try and win Matthew Stafford that award.
If I'm being honest, a lot of times near the
goal line, hey, hand the ball off to Kyraen Williams.
You know he's right there, like Blake korm like you
got an opportunity. Then he's throwing one yard fade routes
to DeVante Adams like it just but it's a down

(01:11:42):
year and it happens sometimes. And while there's a lot
of talk about oh my god, well you know Drake
May doesn't you know, deserve the MVP, Well look who
else you gonna give it to?

Speaker 3 (01:11:54):
Like, I mean, like you can say whatever you want.
Look the Shape of Water.

Speaker 5 (01:12:01):
I wouldn't watch the movie just based on the bio
and what the movie was about.

Speaker 3 (01:12:06):
So what is this movie about?

Speaker 5 (01:12:08):
Some lady who falls in love and like has sex
with a with an iguana? So we're talking about some
gargoyle and a bathtub gets this lady all hot.

Speaker 3 (01:12:17):
And bothered, and the next thing you know, they're having
like what do we what?

Speaker 5 (01:12:22):
Ridiculous. But sometimes it's just a down year and it
feels like whoever wins the MVP this year? And again
it looks like it's gonna be Drake May. You're gonna
look at it and go h like it's okay, this
is gonna be It's a weird year in the NFL.
You got weird teams in the playoffs, you got weird seating,
You've got weird MVP candidates, you got like the Coach

(01:12:44):
of the Year race. It's been tremendous. But you got
a lot of teams in the NFL that nobody expected
this from. And So if we're looking at the MVP
award and the conversation, who would you give the MVP two?

Speaker 3 (01:12:56):
I got news for you.

Speaker 5 (01:12:58):
If Saquon Barkley didn't win a lot year, what makes
you think Christian McCaffrey's gonna win.

Speaker 3 (01:13:03):
It this year?

Speaker 5 (01:13:05):
Like this year and last year, completely different conversations. Man
Lamar Jackson could have made the case, Josh Allen could
have made the case. Saquon Barkley could have made the case.
This year you got the top three. It's kind of like, uh,
I guess, but based on the betting odds, it's gonna
be Drake May who wins the award because he hasn't

(01:13:25):
had that awful performance Like Matthew Stafford had a bad
performance on Monday Night.

Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
Drake May hasn't had that awful performance. He just hasn't.
And Christian McCaffrey's numbers, although they're great, it's not like.

Speaker 5 (01:13:39):
You know, he's leading the league in rushing and he's
leading it like he's been the best player on that
team because.

Speaker 3 (01:13:44):
He's been the only one available. Really, rock Perty's been
great the past few weeks, but he missed a lot
of time and then you had Mac Jones to rely on.

Speaker 5 (01:13:52):
He was going through full body cramps during a game.
So like, it's just one of those years. It's a
down year, Like some years you get to Departed and
then other years you get Birdman or the unexpected virtue
of Ignorances.

Speaker 3 (01:14:07):
Like what the F is that? What are these movies?

Speaker 5 (01:14:11):
Like?

Speaker 3 (01:14:12):
You know what I mean? Like, so it's gonna be
one of those.

Speaker 5 (01:14:14):
Years you look back on and go, oh wait, that
was the MVP, Like, yeah, it's a weird year, and
it's a down year so to speak when it comes
to the MVP at the Jonas Knox on x at
Jonas Knox Show on Instagram and you can hang.

Speaker 3 (01:14:28):

the world of sports.

It's always fun to see what the bottom feeders of
sports talk radio.

Speaker 3 (01:15:43):
Are really like.

Speaker 5 (01:15:44):
You know, It's always fun, you know, the bottom feeders
of sports talk media. They make the rounds on social
media and fire away insults, and I will be paying
tribute to them in the IG stories later on as
well too. So again at Jonas Knox Show on Instagram.
But right now it is time for this lock it.

Speaker 2 (01:16:03):
Let's lock it and.

Speaker 3 (01:16:06):
Knox locks.

Speaker 5 (01:16:08):
You know, I said last week before we made our picks,
I said, look, it appears like we're going to finish
with a winning season in Knox Locks, which I'll take
because we were.

Speaker 3 (01:16:18):
Kind of hitting the skids a little bit. I said.

Speaker 5 (01:16:20):
The only thing we can't have happen is we can't
go winless, because I think we've only done that maybe
once this entire year. The only thing we can't have
happen is an zero to three week cannot happen, right.

Speaker 3 (01:16:32):
Other than that, we should be fine.

Speaker 5 (01:16:36):
And then last week happened in which I thought for
some reason that the Steelers being a three point favorite
on the road at Cleveland was a wise move.

Speaker 3 (01:16:44):
And then I realized, oh, they.

Speaker 5 (01:16:46):
Didn't have dk Metcalf because he was too busy beating
up some bozoe Detroit and got suspended for so that
was a loss. For some reason, I thought that the
Bills at home minus won against the Eagles was the play.
Surely the Buffalo Bills are going to show up and

(01:17:07):
perform at home, even in the rain, even in all
the difficult weather. Surely that's a team that's going to
show up. Oh no, no, no, no, no, absolutely.

Speaker 3 (01:17:16):
Not no no no.

Speaker 5 (01:17:17):
Josh Allen missed an open receiver on the two point
conversion to give us a push by a mile, so
we lost there. So then it all came down to
Monday night football the la rams. I said it last week, man,
the one thing they do is respond from a loss.
The one thing they're going to do with extra time
to prepare, considering they were last seen on Thursday night

(01:17:40):
losing to the Seahawks in that Classic, and now they're
playing on Monday night at Atlanta the La Rams. The
one thing they do is bounce back from performances like that.

Speaker 3 (01:17:51):
Oh no, absolutely not no, no, no, no no.

Speaker 5 (01:17:53):
So that would make you zero to three on the week.
The one thing we couldn't have happened happen, and we
find ourselves twenty four, twenty five and two in the
regular season, one week left to go, so let's get it.

Speaker 3 (01:18:11):
Seahawks at forty nine Ers.

Speaker 5 (01:18:13):
I'm gonna take the Seahawks, all right. Look, I'm gonna
go back to the old scheduling stuff here. The forty
nine Ers played on Monday night, turned around, played on
Sunday night, then they turned back around and play on Saturday.
They're already banged up as it is. And while I
like brock Party, by the way, the dougie things gotta go,

(01:18:34):
it's not funny anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:18:36):
It's not like.

Speaker 5 (01:18:36):
It's gotta go, it's got he's got to stop. And
while I like Brock brock Purty, he's played really well.
The Bears defense isn't the Seattle Seahawks defense. He's gonna
be in for a whole different ballgame and a whole
different reality, and I'm gonna put my money behind Sam Darnold.

Speaker 3 (01:18:52):
I think he finally shows up in that big spot.

Speaker 5 (01:18:54):
I think he's heard all the conversation about the big
games from a year ago, and I think he gets
it done.

Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
Give me the Seahawks on the road. Jets said Bills.
I'm gonna go with the Bills final game of what
I like to call Rich Stadium, most likely final regular
season game there.

Speaker 5 (01:19:11):
I think they're going to bounce back in a big way.
That the Buffalo Bills are a seven and a half
point favorite.

Speaker 3 (01:19:18):
I think they get it done. One thing the New
York Jets don't do.

Speaker 5 (01:19:20):
If you're worried about Josh Allen throwing picks, don't worry
about it, because the Jets don't have one all year
first team in.

Speaker 3 (01:19:24):
NFL history without a pick all year.

Speaker 5 (01:19:26):
I'm gonna ride with Buffalo final regular season game at
rich Stadium. I like to call it Bills minus seven
and a half, Cardinals and Rams. Stop me if you've
heard this before. The Rams always bounce back after a
tough performance. I'm gonna ride that horse until it bucks
me again. I got the Rams minus eight and a half.
We're gonna ram it all day and ram it down

(01:19:49):
their throats to finish the regular season. And that is
your Week eighteen edition of Knox Locks.

Speaker 3 (01:19:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:19:56):
I don't feel great about it. What do you want
from me? I mean, what do you want for me?
We're still swinging though, Jonas Son of a Bitch,
