Speaker 1 (00:01):
Don't listening to Fox Sports.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Rad that's right on Rivalry week.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Say that five times fast, exactly exactly. I don't know
who put these rs in WS next to each other,
but whoever did that and read River Rivalry, I'm coming
for you one day, I'm coming for you, broadcasting live
from the Fox Sports studios.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
It's all right, Martin, We're gonna get through this. We're
gonna get through this this evening. You're gonna get through
the rest of the year. It's all gonna be fine.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
So this is the reason why Monty is playing my
therapist at the moment. I'm a Michigan fan.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
If you know me, listen to this show in the
last five or six years now that in this slot
immediately following this game.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
And it's been a celebration.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Of sorts for this, for Ann Arbor and everyone else
and the team up north, as Urban Meyer couldn't even
bring himself to say the name Michigan during the pregame.
From what we saw today, you know what, we could
kill this music because this more honestly leave it on
Mary because it's much less about We'll get to the

(01:14):
Michigan part of it soon. But I do want to
be gracious in defeat.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Okay, that's nice.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Ohio State has not lost the game in three hundred
and sixty five days. I'm talking about the winning team
right now. Ohio State hasn't lost the game in three
hundred and sixty five days at this point.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Now, I think they lose next week to Indiana.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
But Ohio State coming in like this is the game,
like Monti. It's hard to explain unless you are involved
in this rivalry. Just how dramatic some of this. It's
like you'll see people like I saw Matt Lioner today
or death today, but the other day, friend of the network,
I suppose talking about why would anybody, why do they

(01:55):
care if they beat Michigan when the National championship is
right there?

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Ryan Day before today.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
So on Friday, November twenty eighth, Ryan Day had a
fifty two and one record against every other team in
the Big Ten not named Michigan and was one in
four against Michigan. The idea like if Ryan Day had
lost this game, right, you are ay true culture of

(02:24):
crisis at Ohio State, because there are we talked about
this because again very much like you live in Dodger Land,
and I vacation.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
There. I live in college football.

Speaker 5 (02:34):
And vacation, and you've been absolutely in the extended stay
for the last season, for this season, like the way
and see if you're looking at apartments, Zillow is getting
all right, Okay, cool, I'm with you.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
So there are some games like Michigan and Ohio State,
they are expected to beat everybody until you get to
like Ryan Day's fifty two to one one record against
every other Big ten team is exceptional.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
However, the one in four record against Michigan.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
He could be, what'stern math, forty six and five against
every other Big ten team and undefeated against Michigan, and
nobody would give a damn.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
About those other fives, right, Yeah, do you see what
I'm saying?

Speaker 4 (03:16):
No, there's a lot more weight and value in this
single matchup.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
And so I am of the belief that had Ryan
Day and Ohio State come out and played poorly against
Tennessee in the playoffs, they'd be looking for a new
head coach right now. This Ohio State team, to me,
is not nearly as good as the one last year.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Okay, I think people think that as well. Obviously, Ohio
State spends so much money you're in and you're out
that they're expected to be a top team. I think
you look at this situation a little differently than I do.
Obviously You're right, Mart, I'm never gonna understand I'm truly
never gonna understand what this is. Like. The closest thing
I could even come to tell you is like, even

(03:59):
when the Clippers aren't doing well, if I beat those
we beat those Lakers, Damn it feels good. It's like,
who cares what happens the rest of the season. And
I can imagine that this is to a much greater scale,
Like I don't understand so what.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
This does though, because if you're Ohio State, would it
would have been an irrational decision to fire Ryan daylyst
it would have been an irrational decision to fire Ryan
Day this year. But I am telling it definitively, without
a doubt. Had Ohio State lost this game today, there

(04:32):
would have been a very loud contingent of people saying
that Ryan Day has to go and don't let them
underperform in the playoffs, right, don't let that happen. It's
not gonna get much better for Ohio State than Ryan Day.
So the idea that he was able to win this
game in the dominating fashion in which he did it.
Because that's another thing about this game, Monci that matters

(04:54):
is how do you win this game? If you just
call up the box score from last year, yep, you'll
look and see basically it's the offensive rookie of the
year odds is on Ohio State's team, right, like a
Mecca Abuka, Trayvon Henderson, Quin Shawn Judkins, right, the Carnel
Tate who played today.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
But like these guys are, they're better, right, they're better.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
But when they came out in the third quarter, I
said it last week, and I said it yesterday to
when we were on I was doing updates, there will
be a point in time in the third quarter that's
gonna determine who's gonna win this game. And it was
in the third quarter when Ohio State had that massive
twenty play drive nineteen runs or something like that. Twenty

(05:39):
runs straight down the middle, four yards here, four yards there,
six yards here. That's how you win games in the
Big Ten, that's how you win games in the snow
and Ohio State's inability to do that in the last
four years and Michigan's ability to do. That is the
reason why they won the last four years. That's why
Ohio State won today.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Yeah, yeah, you know, Michigan made Julian Sayne looked real
good today. He had some really I know, he threw
an interception to start things off. But I Ian Roddy,
our producer, and I were talking about this before the
show because that interception came so early in the game,
it almost is irrelevant. Had it come later in the game,
you I would have remembered it more. But instead, I

(06:16):
just remember how Julian san just kind of did what
he wanted through where you wanted.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Well, when there's absolutely no pressure on the quarterback, Julian
saying was not touched one time, he was not by
players from the other team.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
No, No, you're right that Ryan Day needed to win this,
and it's because Michigan is not the Michigan that it
was last year. So there wouldn't have been in there
wouldn't have been any excuses for Ohio State to lose.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
No, this Michigan team is definitively better than the Michigan
team that they lost.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
To last year, the team that won the championship.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
None, Well, you're skipping a year year twenty twenty three,
Michigan win a national title. That's right, twenty twenty four,
Ohio State won the national title, and now they were
in this season.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
Last time has passed.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Michigan had a quarterback who actually league was a fifth
year senior named Davis Warren, who somehow I think threw
for more yards and than a ten million dollar freshman
that they got today.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Like, what really is interesting is Ryan Day.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Has been beaten up in this matchup for being conservative. Right,
you have just think about the next Chris, Like Marvin
Harrison junior never beatn Michigan, Like you know what I'm saying,
Like Jackson Smith and jigbu right and Mecca Abuka, Like
if you had those three guys as your wide receivers

(07:32):
in the NFL, you would feel great about it. Well,
they all played it because in this game, right and
so yeah, always got beat up for not being so aggressive.
That was the exact thing that I sat up here
against Oklahoma. I said they blew this game because they
didn't want to lose it by three scores. They're like,
let's let's lose fifteen to Slaters. Let's lose my two

(07:53):
touchdowns at are three touchdowns four touchdowns. You got this freshman,
you gotta let them out there. And I feel that's
what happened today. They lost this game because offensive play
calling down the stretch just did not allow them to
even be competitive.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
And then again a typic cap.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Because that that that third quarter drive, that's a national
championship type of drive. That's the type of drive that's like,
if you can do that, that makes you one of
the like you are.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Obviously they were one of the best.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
Teams Cots Football, undefeated and so farth. But like that
to me is like, no, we are here, we have arrived.
This is the type of thing and we can repeat that,
especially doing it on the road.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
That's very impressive.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
You were complaining about the offensive play calling in your
other two losses of the season.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Because Charon Moore, I feel like would like to pun
on third down. I don't understand, like, and this is
the thing. And because here's the one either A or
Aer Tors will come in after three hours from now
and be.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Like, you got a first three quarterback. You don't want
him to be ruined.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
The time to not get ruined is against Central Michigan
and and and all the you know, the Pat seeds
that you play perdue right, Northwestern, that's the time to
drop back and throw the ball thirty times. Urban Meyer
at halftime is saying, why don't they hit the edge?
They are running up the gut, and that's that's really

(09:17):
what happened to Ohio. They last year they ran up
the gut right into Kenneth Grant and Mason Graham, who
are there were not fifteen players drafted into the NFL
before those two guys were last year, right, So they're
running right into the strength of Michigan's defense instead of
using the strength of Michigan's offense, which is this ferrari
of a quarterback who goes and plays on the edge.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
They're like, you know what I'd like to do.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
Let's hand the ball to a fourth string walk on
running back fifteen times. Let's do that because again, in
this game, Moncie, there's a very much like there's a
way that you have to win it almost like right like.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
And that's the thing that is killed Ohio State in
the past four years.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
If they have been a let's throw it around like else,
they would much rather in years past throw that fifty
yard touchdown completion of Carnel Tate than like a fifteen
play drive. This year, Ohio State offensive East made a
point to be more methodical, to be more just. We're
running the ball, right, I mean they had the freshman
running back Bo Jackson had I think it's a six

(10:19):
game with over one hundred yards rushing.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
He didn't even play the first game of the year.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Right, speaking of the first game of the year, you
want to talk about how you bring along a quarterback.
I'm not saying that Julius saying has had a mountains
to climb of adversity throughout this season because he is
standing there behind five off NFL player, right, But you
saw we saw we talked after week one. You saw Julius,
Ann and ars MANI neither one of them looked particularly comfortable.

(10:47):
But you saw what they were doing with Sam. We're
not going to ask you to win this game for us.
And today again they he made what three big throws?

Speaker 4 (10:56):
Yeah, three big throws.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
Right, and jeremies if they didn't even catch one of them, right,
he made three bit like that, Like, they didn't ask
him to.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Do a whole lot of stuff. So I don't think
that he's the Heisman Trophy winner.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
I've watched Fernando Mendoza play and I think if I'm like,
it's between he and uh and Diego Pavia.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
But honestly, I think that college athletes shouldn't.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
Be able to rent cars. You should be in the
NFL buty not So I'm going with Fernando. Okay, Diego
Pavia is Suingly. You know, I didn't have to sue
to stay five years on college, but I knew by
my fourth year, second semester it was time to go.
And it is like, because of the way that Jim
Harball left Michigan, it had to work with sherelmore.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
Would you say it's not working.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
I would say that the reason why Michigan has three
losses this year does not jive with what Michigan football
historically has been. I'm not saying that they Michigan football
can lose three games in me.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
I'm not saying that's not the case, right, But I'm saying, up.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Front, Michigan, all due respect to producer Ian As I'm
watching USC, just get a field goal block by UCLA,
Michigan got pushed around up front by USC, Like that's
just not supposed to happen.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
That's not like the trenches at Michigan.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
The trenches are where that's where the first rounders are
supposed to be, right and historically in years past, that's
where they've been. Your first and your day one and
day two picks are supposed to be your your alignment
on the defensive and offensive side of the ball. This team,
to me, all year had trouble controlling the line of scrimmage,
and then their losses got dominated at the line of scrimmage.

(12:39):
That never happened even at the worst hardball teams.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
That was not happening.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
Yeah, but is it going to be again somebody who
vacations in college football, and isn't it going to be
unfair with the changes happening? You entering being a head
coach in a program that has been so successful and
rich for you to continue knew that when when everything
is changing, everyone's going in one door out the other.

(13:06):
Is it unfair to hold these new coaches up to
the standard of what you're used to.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Absolutely, and especially too, because the standard at Michigan is
not going undefeated like as much as we would like
it to be, It is.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Not going undefeated.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
It is not I am sitting here telling you that
the expectations and standard at Ohio State are higher than
they are at Michigan. The resources and money ported and
it's higher than they are in Michigan.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
But what you can't do is.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Get embarrassed by your rivals. And today today, to me.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
It was really bad second half.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
That was an embarrassment. Like you have to compete.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
If Boyd Carr had the job at Michigan for however
many years, losing two games a year, but playing tough
against Ohio State and beating Michigan State, that's all you
really gotta do. And if you slip up here and
there against you know, Illinois one year they got a
first round quarterback and he beach you or you know,
you know one one year usc they figured out they

(14:04):
got the Heisman winner and they come in there at
beat you.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
No, you know, that's what.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
But to the two losses that I just are unexcusable
to me was Oklahoma in the second half and today
in the second half against Ohio State because it's like
they were playing scared to lose. And all credit to
Ohio State today because that's the way that they played
the last two the last two years was we do

(14:31):
not want to make a mistake that's gonna cost us
the game. So instead we're gonna play it safe, play
it safe, play it safe. And then all of a
sudden you look up and it's too late to continue
to play it safe.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
So buckle up.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
Sure on Moore, because you're sure they keep the seat
belt on brights Underwood all year.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
I'm sorry, I'm sorry your team lost. You'll get over it.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
It's just you know what. The but like, fine, the
final point I'll make on this.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Because we've heard this from because this is actually a
formative I really believe this between and especially for like
the Texas thing. Texas has three losses. If they had
a better quarterback at certain point in times in the year,
they would be a playoff team. Now, just imagine if
they had the same if arch Manning was the same guy,

(15:19):
but didn't cost as much and you could spend other places.
Are they Maybe they're a playoff team right now without
having a hope and pray and cross your fingers and
scoreboard watch.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
And all of that.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Maybe if you had gotten another tackle or another cornerback,
or maybe you're able to convince Caleb Downs not to
go from Alabama to Oisle if they but maybe he
goes from Alabama to Texas because you got that little
bit more bread. Because arch Manning isn't ten million dollars.
If you're gonna pay ten million dollars for a quarterback,
you gotta use them.

Speaker 4 (15:50):
You would think you gotta use You would think that they.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Want don't if you're gonna run the ball with the
four street running back, pay five running backs.

Speaker 4 (15:58):
I know you're right because when he saw Texas win
in spite of arch Manning, you.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
Know, it's just like, you can't win in spite of
And this is a take deeper than I have, and
honestly it started with the Eagles. You can't win in
spite of your highest paid player. That you can't win
in spite of your highest paid player. And I think
if you look.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Around at all the teams in the NFL that it's like,
that's weird. Why does this team look like this?

Speaker 3 (16:24):
It's generally and maybe it's just this year, but it's like,
you know, I because the highest paid player on the
most important side of the ball is playing like crap,
or he's unavailable, or the offensive play call is not
exhibiting his strengths. Depending on what excuse you'd like to use.

(16:46):
If you're the Philadelphia Eagles, lots of them. It's true
for other teams too.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
Makes sense.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
Coming up next, two trades which shook the NFL landscape.
Which one now at Thanksgiving had the bigger impact, cause
I'll tell you what one I was told was going
to have an impact on literally.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Who won the Super Bowl?

Speaker 3 (17:09):
Yes, And the other one is the only one that
I've been hearing about ever since. Yep, we'll get to
that in just a moment. Martin Weis's Mossy Blanos Fox
Sports Radio for the best pregame show every weekend, be
sure to tune into the Fox Sports Radios Countdown to
Kickoff that is presented by bet MGM every Saturday and

Countdown to Kickoff presented by bet MGM every Saturday and
Sunday morning right here on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app. Coming to your life from the Fox Sports

Weiss and Bolanos here on this Saturday night. If you

(17:52):
want to join the conversation, you canna let us up
on Twitter. I'm at Martin Weiss, Monzi's at Monsis.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
We'll get here. You tweets throughout the show.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
So I'll be honest, I don't know if it's because
Michigan lost today. My Twitter hasn't been working all day.
It's crazy, they really hasn't. I'm not even being funny
like I'll get like. I was trying to be.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
In the group chat today and I was like, dude,
they kick me out of the group Chat.

Speaker 6 (18:15):
Yeah, Chriskin lost.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Turns out no, it's just Elon has broken the app,
all right.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
So Jerry Jones was wheeling and dealing this offseason, you know,
trading first for George Pickens, the much maligned wide receiver
from the Pittsburgh Steelers, who you know is probably you
have a highlight tape of George Pickens making great plays
and then a highlight tape of George Pickens suspension worthy plays.

(18:43):
I'm not sure which one was longer prior to this year,
but both existed. You had Michael Parsons, who you know,
I just realizing right now we are it is the
day after Thanksgiving or two days after Thanksgiving. I don't
know if there's a single episode of the Michael Parser's
podcast has come out.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
I don't think there has, because actually forgot about it.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
There were for the last four years several million episodes
of the Michael Parser's podcast that when he was a
member of the Dallas Cowboys as they But now Jerry
makes both of these moves. Which do you think was
the better acquisition. Michael Parser's going to Green Bay who
just had a game ceiling shack on Thanksgiving Day? Or

(19:29):
George Pickens, who has been who I just put it
like this, there's a my neighbor's next door Cowboys fans,
and I found this out Wednesday night as they were
yelling George Pickens just to.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Been a real eighty eight. They calm down, bro, what
do you want to pass me a modello?

Speaker 3 (19:48):
It was like that type of scenario Wednesday night for
my neighbors. So I thought, you know, I could see
the argument that was sitting on the balcony.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
I can see the DS. Yeah, had three drops on Thanksgiving.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
No, he intends to slippery hands sometimes. I don't know
why CD.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
I want eight drops on New York for the Eagles.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
So a couple of when this first happened, when all
these moves happened, I think we all thought like, ugh,
can't believe you're letting go of Michael Parsons because you
knew what you were losing by bringing on George Pickens.
It was a question mark, what are you getting? And
so now I would say that the bigger acquisition was
George Pickens, because George Pickens has changed the opinion of

(20:29):
me and maybe others. Even if he is a quote
unquote diva, I don't care. As long as you can deliver,
you'd be a diva.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
All you want.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
Are you gonna catch the ball? Are we gonna win games?
You know what I'm saying. If you're winning, you can
you will let a lot of stuff slide. Even if
it's true that they were out partying in Las Vegas,
they still won. They've won three in a row in
what eleven days, Like it's it's incredible. But I think
what George, George Pickens is like what we thought of him.

(20:58):
His value has skyrocketed all of a sudden with the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
I would say, I agree with you because to the point,
George Pickens, and it's not his fault that he was
drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it very much felt
not and you got to you have to try lightly
here because Antonio Brown has actually committed crimes.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
But like you know, but and George, George Pickens.

Speaker 7 (21:19):
Is not simply committed football crime, correct, right, not actual crime,
the crimes against football, being late to the team, bust.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Correct, arguing, fighting people on the sidelines, those types of things.
But he was guilty of a lot of those types
of things. And like Pittsburgh Steelers receivers before him, you
get him to you know, the the so together environment
and atmosphere in Dallas, right, of course not I'm joking.

(21:49):
It's a circus circuit, right, And George Pickens you would
expect to be the ring leader of set circus. No,
And to every report out of Dallas's George has been
a great teammate. I agree with you in that the
bigger probably in terms of who which one swings the
Super Bowl odds this year, Michael Parsons more than likely,

(22:10):
although I still think that has a lot more to
do with Jordan Loves than anything, right, because like an
edge rusher, like a Michael Parsons is a kin to
me to like a closer.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
A closer doesn't.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Matter if you don't have the lead, right, So like
if you can't have if Jordan loved throwing for one
point fifteen a game or whatever, und one hundred and
fifty yards a game and no touchdowns, doesn't matter who's
rushing the pastor just as Miles Garrett. But to your point,
George Pickens is about to get paid, whether it's broy
the Dallas Cowboys at the next team. It'll be fascinating

(22:44):
to see if Dallas chooses to franchise tag him and
how he responds to that franchise tag all in like,
he's been a good shouldier thus far in Dallas, but
it'll be interesting to see what he does.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
If that is the case.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
He has eleven forty two yards ceed lamb, what would
you guess?

Speaker 3 (23:02):
Oh, well, Pickens is second in the league in receiving yards,
so seven hundred seed.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
He's probably got well.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
Five hundred, he's at seven forty four. He's at seven
forty four, But you wouldn't. I would have expected him
to have way more at this point.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
Right when this deal was made, you would have expected
that George Pickens would have been the wide receiver like
there would have been, though there would have been that
been correct, cousins yelling downstairs about who the real eighty
eight was for the Dallas Cawberry right right, that would
have never been.

Speaker 8 (23:29):
The only two receivers so far on the year have
have hit a thousand yards, and it's Jackson Smith and
jabs or George Pickens, and both of them are over
eleven hundred. The next closest is Jamar Chase at nine
hundred and seventy one. So they are just in another
tier right now.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
I think Christian McCaffrey through scrimmage yards is that a thousand?

Speaker 3 (23:45):
So wait a minute, Jackson's for the Jagvi LEAs League
of receiving yards yep. And George Pickens is second in
receiving yards.

Speaker 6 (23:55):
Correct.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
So the guy they'd traded Dk Metcalf then feature.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Is first in receiving yards.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
And then the guy who Pittsburgh traded to the future
DK Metcalf is second in receiving yards. That's one of
those things that doesn't mean much, but it sounds profound
if you say it slowly.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
Let's kick it out, d.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
Let's kick it over to Steve to the saga for
an updating college football the yards he.

Speaker 9 (24:24):
Has thirty two yards this year. Dk Metcalff feels like it.
By the way, former Detroit Lions Pro Bowl center Frank
Ragnow failed as physical so he will not be coming
out of retirement.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
Grand opening Grand clothing for that haunts he was quick.
Everybody in Detroit after that, thanks give a dicat. Don't
worry Frank's coming back.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
No, not so much.

Speaker 9 (24:45):
Later that same week, Steelers starting tackle Broderick Jones was
placed on injury reserve neck injury, and defensive back of
Santa Samuel Junior is up from the practice squad. Pittsburgh
quarterback Aaron Rodgers will return to play Sunday with the
broken left wrist. As for the college football, it was
a top twenty matchup Vanderbilt at Tennessee. That's a first
forty five twenty four Vandy the final Diego Pavia, who

(25:07):
we assume will be a Heisman finalist today. The first
SEC player since Jayden Daniels in his Heisman season to
have two hundred fifty yards passing and one hundred fifty
yards rushing in the same game. Number one Ohio State
a winner at Michigan twenty seven to nine. Fifth ranked
Texas Tech won at West Virginia forty nine to nothing.
It'll be Texas Tech in the Big twelve title game

(25:29):
against eleventh ranked BYU, which was down early but still
won forty one twenty one over UCF. Six thranked Oregon
A winner at Washington twenty six to fourteen. At eighth
ranked Oklahoma, the Sooner survives seventeen thirteen over LSU. Mississippi
coach Lane Kiffin due to decide this weekend if he's
leaving for LSU or not. Stanford has the late game,

(25:50):
hosting number nine Notre Dame and a couple hours. Stanford
does have a new head coach coming to Via Pritchard
X quarterback and assistant there Washington Commander's quarters coach. Right now,
number ten Alabama is only leading three to nothing at
Auburn late in the first quarter. So far for Bama
four of twelve passing for Ty Simpson, Auburn's quarterback Ashton

(26:11):
Daniels one of six through the year, they've hit halftime
at eighteenth rank Virginia Cavaliers fourteen nothing over Virginia Tech.
UCLA has tied it up at seventeenth ranked USC seven
to seven in the second quarter, and number twenty four
tou Lane is shutting out Charlotte fourteen to nothing in
the second Tulane coach John Sumroll is reportedly the favorite

(26:32):
for the Florida job. He's a former player and assistant
at Kentucky. Florida was a winner against Florida State forty
to twenty one. In fact, the Gators jaden Baugh had
thirty eight carries, two hundred and sixty six yards rushing
and two scores. Florida State as a team had thirty
seven carries one hundred sixty seven yards. Louisville shut out

(26:54):
Kentucky forty one nothing. Clemson won at South Carolina twenty
eight to fourteen. Currently, cal has taken the early three
to nothing lead against number twenty one SMU late in
the first quarter. SMU could be in the ACC title Game.
College football selection Sunday is December seventh, a week from Sunday.
Miami won thirty eight to seven at Pitt by the Way.

(27:16):
In the NBA, Minnesota beat the Boston Celtics one nineteen
to one fifteen, and currently it's overtime at Charlotte Hornets
leading one oh nine one oh eight over the Raptors
under three minutes to go. In the ot Toronto has
won nine straight games, one of the games just getting underway.
In the NBA Golden State ten and ten this year,
hosting New Orleans, Steph Curry of the Warriors could be

(27:37):
out for a week with a Bruce quad. In the NHL,
Tampa Bay won at seventh straight game, four to one
at the Rangers. The Oriole signed closer Ryan Hellsley, former
Cardinal and a Major League soccer Miami won the Eastern
Conference Final five to one over New York City and Guys.
I much mentioned the number five ranked LSU women's basketball
team because in the semifinal of the Paradise Jam Turnament

(28:00):
yesterday the Virgin Islands, they won so easily over Maris
they set an NCAA record with a seventh straight one
hundred point game. They're back on the court tonight, ready
to go to eight and zero. By the way, the
NCAA record that they passed six straight hundred point games
was set by the nineteen eighty two Louisiana Tech team
that won the first ever NCAA women's basketball championship. The

(28:23):
star point guard on that team, I know it, I
know it. Kim Kim Moulke was on the Olympic team
in nineteen eighty four as a guard and now is
the LSU head coach. Well, LSU as a halftime lead
of fifty four to seventeen against Washington State. Ouch. By
the way, Washington State football in action right now against

(28:44):
Oregon State. Those are the only two teams left in
the Pac twelve. They're playing each other. Congratulations, nineteen to nothing.
Cougar's are leading in the third.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
Back to you, you know, and as Kim Moulke, I
wonder how many people are there covering LSU. Washington State is,
as Kim Moulke said earlier, Lane's in Gainesville.

Speaker 9 (29:03):
I'm sorry, what was that?

Speaker 10 (29:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Here she Oh goodness, they played unl maybe two weeks ago.

Speaker 9 (29:10):
They listed at tenants yesterday's two thousand.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
So Kim molk was in her post game press conference
and I think they were playing New Orleans. Anyway, She
was like, how who made the drive down from Baton
Rouge to New Orleans? She pointed out there was, like
to her, an embarrassingly low number of media there, and
she said, I guess that everybody's got to be first.

(29:33):
And I'm telling you right now, Lane is in Gainesville.
Lane Kiffin was in Gainesville saying the LSU media was
not there because they were trying to be first. And
to the point, we were still waiting for Lane Kiffin.
LSU scored twenty more points for their women's basketball team
since we last.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
Spoke about it.

Speaker 9 (29:49):
We are after eight thirty Eastern time, still on Kiffin
watch there in the South.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
You know.

Speaker 4 (29:56):
That's taken forever.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
Let's we should we should take a second here.

Speaker 4 (30:00):
Months I'm I'm I I would be annoyed if I
was a Rebel fan, Okay, rebels fan right now? Like,
what am I waiting for? You literally told me about
this announcement that you were gonna announce this on this day,
and I'm still waiting. Why did you make that announcement
in the first place.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
Is it like when you are submitting an assignment for
school and it's do on that day, but you can
wait till eleven fifty nine fifty nine.

Speaker 9 (30:25):
So he started doing his research today.

Speaker 4 (30:27):
Start he's writing. Yes, he's writing his ten page paper today.

Speaker 9 (30:30):
The library's not closed yet.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
But and silly me, I understand how things used to
be in college football, but in a world in which
I'm watching the Big Ten Championship next week. Number one
team Ohio State, okay, tracks number two team Indiana. What
the hell right into that world? Why is old miss

(30:55):
a better a worse job than than I'll say, like,
why is all this.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Wors shops in Florida?

Speaker 4 (31:02):
Yeah, it's a great question.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
Why is the worst shop?

Speaker 9 (31:04):
They talk about resources, It's why there are resources at
Texas Tech now, and there seemingly have always been resources
in recent years at Texas A and M. It's not
just Texas well, you.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Know, oil money.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
I don't know what they were doing at oh seriously,
but they.

Speaker 9 (31:19):
Can't the Texas Tech Athletic Department.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Look at it the lastly, they're pouring all types of
money into it.

Speaker 9 (31:26):
Look at what SMU is doing. SMU, they've just taken
the lead on col They said no, They had to
say no to TV money just to get the yes
to join the ACC. And they got so much in
booster money as soon as they could tell their boosters,
hey we're an ACC team now that I don't know
if it's a direct offset, but I mean they really

(31:48):
went up a step and SMU could be in the
conference title game and so not Florida State, et cetera.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
And to the other point, you see the teams with
all the resources, right, Texas got more money than god.
You know what, they haven't been the national championship right,
you know Sarka has not been to the National Championship game.
They can look at look at the parking lot.

Speaker 9 (32:09):
That's let's be honest and say out loud. USC is
not without resources. Right, it's a private school. And all
those years with the success of Pete Carroll and the
BCS Bowl games, what was it seven years in a
row in a b BCS Bowl game being a private school,
they never had to tell you how much they were
paying the coach. This isn't a UC system school.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
I just I just don't if I don't see the motivation.
Like if you wanted to go to LSU, I understand,
because if you can recruit the state of Louisiana, you
will win double digit games.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Right, And it's similar for Florida.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
But Florida is like three states in one right, North Florida, Calida, Cornia.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
Right.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
But like if you if you could just stay in
the boot in Louisiana, you could have all types of
guys like you could fill out your roster and win
nine SEC games right there. But I just don't like
ole Miss. Right now, Michigan's paying rites under with ten
million dollars. Ole Miss is running through the SEC with

(33:10):
the Division two quarterback. M hm, right, Like there's as
an inefficiency going around. And if you have the eyes
and can scout and can get these guys to come,
you can dominate.

Speaker 9 (33:21):
Look at cam Ward's journey started. It incarnate word.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Like if you have the eyes, you can find Like like.

Speaker 9 (33:28):
If Julian Sands from San Diego, he was playing in
the snow today and he's from the beach at Carl's bed, right,
you womers can come from somewhere else.

Speaker 3 (33:37):
It's just I just don't if i'm I can get
the all I understand. Maybe if it's LSU, I can
get LSU because LSU, to the point their resources there
are so much, but also the recruiting is that much
more significant. But like I don't know, Floor's about to
hire their second or third G five coach in a

(33:57):
row a group of five from nay to summer all
to like that's not a premier job since urban Meyer left,
you know, like you want to state like Ed Orgeron
won a national championship at LSU.

Speaker 9 (34:11):
And recruited a national championship at USC, like.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Less Miles won a national championship LS. These are not
necessarily you know.

Speaker 7 (34:20):
The Nicks, the upper crust, Like you know what I'm saying, Like,
these are not necessarily guys who are Lincoln Riley is
drawing up a lot better than whatever those two guys
got to offer, Right, Brian Kelly.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
Schematically he's much better coach than either one of those two.
But like, if I'm laying Kiffin.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
Makes no sense. I just don't kid it resources, like
you said.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
Unless I'm just unfulfilled. Unless I'm just unfulfilled. If the
idea is I want to win a national championship.

Speaker 9 (34:50):
This year at this place.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
You know it's it's chilly.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
It's like you're walking into the dance with the girl
and he's like, wait a minute, I don't like this one.
I'm going to I'll wait for another girl to take
me to his dancy.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
There, see how that goes.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
They're on the red carpet.

Speaker 9 (35:06):
Nick Saban went from LSU and wound up at Alabama.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
You said, this is one of his biggest regrets, is
going to Miami Plaine Kiffen guilty or not guilty? Guilty,
We'll find out.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
Next to Sports Court, Martin Weis's Monty.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
Coming to you live from the Fox Sports Radio studios.
It's Martin Weiss. Monsie Let's plan.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
A distion to Sports Court.

Speaker 8 (35:32):
All right, guys, it is the latest edition of Sports Court.
I have a list of people from around the world
of sports that we're going to put on trial here
in the court, present their case to you, guys, and
then it's up to you, the jury, to tell me
whether they are guilty or not guilty.

Speaker 6 (35:45):
You ready, yes, sure, Okay, let's start with this.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
Well.

Speaker 8 (35:49):
Steve Desager touched on it earlier, but Frank Ragnow stands accused.
The Detroit Lions thought they were getting a big boost
to their offensive line amidst a crucial playoff push heres
as it was announced that center Frank Ragnow, who retired
last offseason or this offseason, actually was set to unretire
and rejoin the Lions starting in week fourteen. Unfortunately, though,
the team reported yesterday that in fact won't be happening,

(36:10):
as Ragno failed his physical. After reporting to the team,
they discovered a Grade three hamstring strain. That's what was responsible.
But Frank ragnow guilty or not guilty?

Speaker 4 (36:19):
What do you think MANSI absolutely not guilty. These allegations
are false. I mean, how badass is it that you
didn't even know you had a Grade three ham string strain?
You were just living your life like that?

Speaker 2 (36:31):
I think he did. I don't think he was living
his life like that.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
I think what happened was the Lions saw the way
the interior offensive Lions that had Frank you got seven
weeks in you The answer was no, Frank does not
have seven weeks.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
Frank's edison.

Speaker 6 (36:46):
What if he just pulled something on his way walking
into the facility?

Speaker 2 (36:49):
Oh you did think he was working out and tourrest Hampshire.

Speaker 4 (36:51):
There, Yeah, Oh you think that's what it was.

Speaker 8 (36:53):
I think he was working out something to that, because
you would think like he would know heading into it,
like you know, I can't guys, I have.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
A ham You're not walking, You're not doing anything right.

Speaker 4 (37:03):
It's supposed to be painful. So maybe you're right that
maybe he had a little bit of a tear, a
grade one, and then he was doing something. But not
not guilty.

Speaker 8 (37:11):
Okay, next up, Lane Kiffin stands accused now it might
not be for what you guys think here. So, following
a win over Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl yesterday,
Lane Kiffen confronted an Ole miss reporter for comments he'd
made on a podcast this week. He accused the reporter
of calling him a I don't think we can use
the word.

Speaker 4 (37:29):
Definitely used it yesterday several times and even played the.

Speaker 8 (37:32):
Sound okay, so we'll just say it. Then he accused
the report of calling him a hoe because the FCC
because he'd referenced to saying you can't turn a hoe
into a housewife when talking about the way Kiffin has
gone about the LSU and Florida rumors. He also brought
it up again in the postgame press conference.

Speaker 6 (37:49):
Lane did so. Lane Kiffin guilty or not guilty?

Speaker 2 (37:52):
Here, Martin, He's guilty. You are clearly deflecting.

Speaker 3 (37:55):
You've been called worse by people, You've been called worse
by more important people. You are clearly deflecting from the
question we all want to know the answer to pal
guilty is charged.

Speaker 4 (38:06):
Straight to jail, pushed his ass in jail. Absolutely, man
and deflecting. That's what he's been doing all week. Earlier
in the week, he said something that kids aren't the
same nowadays, and they don't look at their coaches the same.
You're just deflecting. You are just deflecting because you know
what you're doing. Guilty, Straight to jail, all right.

Speaker 8 (38:23):
Juwan Jennings stands accused following Monday Night's forty nine Ers
versus Panthers game. Earlier this week, Niners receiver Juwan Jennings
went up to Panthers' safety Trevon Mahrek during the postgame
handshakes and took a few swings at him. It was
later found, though, that Marek had punched Jennings below the
belt in the uh we'll call it the no no
area earlier in the game. So that's what caused Jennings

(38:45):
to do what he did. But what do you guys think?
Was he justified or not? Jawan Jennings guilty or not guilty?

Speaker 4 (38:49):
Monci, I would say he's innocent.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
You're letting him go again.

Speaker 4 (38:54):
I feel like, man to man, that's like the worst
thing you can do to each other. So I don't
understand how you don't go into.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
You know, you would have thought that.

Speaker 3 (39:03):
It seems to me that the worst thing you could
do on a football field, to spit on something.

Speaker 8 (39:06):
I was gonna say, which is what I was actually
gonna ask you, guys, which is what it's degrading.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
But I feel like Manton, man, It's like, bro, you
know how much this hurts? Why would you do this
to me?

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Also, I feel like most guys or you should be
wearing some level of protection. I'm going not guilty though
you're hitting him. Go again, if you.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
Had responded in the moment so I said, I'm sorry,
I'm going guilty. He is guilty if you had responded
in the moment at something different. But to go ahead
and hunt him down after the game, No, no, no, buddy,
no no.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
The premeditative revenge is not working for me.

Speaker 4 (39:36):
I love premeditated revenge.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
You know what, big fan see.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
That's that's why she didn't play football? Right there, fifteen
yard flags all up and down the.

Speaker 4 (39:45):
Field, up and down. Man, that'd be such a good
football player we're talking about. I would. I would actually
know how to tackle, I would know how to jump
off the ball, dry the fumball.

Speaker 3 (39:54):
How many people did you see just Michigan's shoulder and shoulder, shoulder,
shoulder come on.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (40:03):
That's right, And if you're headed out right now with
the iHeartRadio app, you can stream us wherever you happen

up at the top of your screen. So, mancy, where

(40:27):
do you start Christmas from?

Speaker 2 (40:29):
Like Thanksgiving?

Speaker 10 (40:30):
Like?

Speaker 3 (40:31):
Do you just blow pass Thanksgiving? Are you like I
start Christmas at Halloween?

Speaker 10 (40:37):
Like?

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Are you like a black Friday?

Speaker 4 (40:39):
Sprinklean Christmas in around mid November? Sprinkling it in. I
don't have a tree up yet, and I'm gonna put
up like a little one, not a tiny, tiny one.
But I'm not gonna go get a fresh one and
bring it into the house. This is gonna be a
you know, I keep it in the house and it
has its own lights and it makes it easy on me.
But it's not tiny. It's the middle size. Let's say, Uh,

(41:00):
I'm sprinkling things out, but the tree is not out yet.
I'll probably pull it out this week, you know, but
I've got some some decorations out, and tis the season.
I prefer Christmas over Thanksgiving, so I like more of
the Christmasy atmosphere. And I love Halloween. So like my
Halloween stuff was still around November twelfth, you know what

(41:22):
I mean, It's done, my skeletons and all that. And
then I was like, oh, I got I got to
take off this black wreath that I have on the
Door's not no longer this type of wreath that I need.
I brought out the Christmas one already, which is a
nightmare before Christmas.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
One, which sounds like it's also black, but it's not.

Speaker 4 (41:39):
It's it's you know, the one. I'll show it to
you because I don't know how to describe it, but
it's not black. Now it's tweet it out YouTube Chane Red.

Speaker 3 (41:48):
So the reason I ask is because I feel like
most people, I shouldn't say most people, A lot of people,
Christmas kind of starts the Friday after Thanksgiving. Black Friday
and Home Alone one of the movies that is one
of the.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
Quintessential Christmas movies. So a lot of people heard the.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
For the first time in a long time, right, unless
you're a Philadelphia Eagles fan, because what you've been hearing
for the last three weeks is fire Cabon fire Canvin,
fire Cavin, speaking of Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Petulo Friday,
it came to a head. Everybody was full from their
turkey and macaroni and cheese, and such.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
A fire Cavin. Bump bump, bup, bob up was.

Speaker 3 (42:33):
The chance and the Lincoln Financial whatever it's called Philadelphia,
I forget the name of the actuals stadium. But Nick
Sierotti said after the game that the club will evaluate
everything after the twenty four to fifteen defeat. However, quote,
we're not changing the play caller. I have confidence in

(42:54):
the entire group. I know it'll keep coming back to Kevin.
If I thought of it was one thing, i'd make
those changes. Obviously, it's a lot of different things. I
don't think it's good.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
Says Sirianni.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
So first he says he'll valuate everything, and then quickly
clarified I would everything except for Kevin Petullo. I don't
think Eagles fans are happy to hear that. I just
would like to take a moment to say a J.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
Brown, you were right?

Speaker 4 (43:22):
Okay, first question, Yes, are Phillies fans Eagles fans ever really.

Speaker 6 (43:29):
Satisfied after they won the Super Bowl?

Speaker 4 (43:32):
But they weren't. But they weren't. There's always something, There's
always something. The truth is that the offense for the
Eagles has not looked good at all this entire season. True,
they have looked discombobulated from time to time, and it's
not a good look.

Speaker 3 (43:48):
I feel like, not to cut you off, they've looked
not combobulated every so often, right, Like every so often
they will throw together like a twenty one point quarter
or a twenty eight point half, but more often than not,
it's like did you tie your shoes today?

Speaker 10 (44:03):
Right?

Speaker 4 (44:04):
And it's like happened at weird times, like with the
whole thing with AJ Brown when he started tweeting out
or you know, expressing his unhappiness. There was a game
immediately after where Jyllen Hurts was like, okay, DeVante Smith,
you're gonna get all my throws. And they remember that.
It was like right after this will started, so you're like, oh, okay,
you do have a passing game. Okay, maybe maybe it's

(44:24):
just picking it up. Maybe you guys are good. They've
been mostly discombobulated this entire season, and it's in all
aspects of the game. But against the Bears, I don't
is it wrong that the focus is looking at the
Eagles when in reality we should be looking at how
good the Bears are.

Speaker 3 (44:42):
So I'm not saying that it's wrong. It just depends
on where you wanted to go with. The Bears had
looked very good.

Speaker 4 (44:49):
They look good, not great, not elite, they just look good.
They look good on both sides of the ball, and
you have teams that are just struggling, like the defending champions,
on doing anything. You got Ben Johnson's shortless celebrating after
how many have they won in the row?

Speaker 1 (45:02):
Five? Four?

Speaker 4 (45:04):
Some like that, but he's shirtless, like the vibes. The
everything is working for Chicago, and I feel like that's
more of what it was. It's like, No, the Eagles
have been struggling the whole season. Why were we surprised
that a hot team is coming in and getting to
win on your territory? Why are we.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
Surprised because the Eagles are the defending We're in.

Speaker 4 (45:25):
Week thirteen and they have not looked good at all
where you feel comfortable with them.

Speaker 3 (45:29):
So do you take the So like, where are you
placing the Bears in? Because I as good as I
think the Bears are through twelve games, I'm not.

Speaker 2 (45:37):
I do not think that there are true super Bowl contenders.

Speaker 4 (45:40):
I don't know who is a true super Bowl contender,
that's the question. I'm not saying the Bears are that
at all. I would not put them there. But at
this point I'm more scared to face the Bears and
other teams that maybe at the start of the season
I wouldn't have said that.

Speaker 2 (45:55):
So to you, this is more the Bears came in
and won this game. Yeah, yeah, I'm not with you.

Speaker 3 (46:03):
Okay, don't get me wrong, I'm with I think the
Bears have been great this season. The Ben Jonson thing,
I would feel great if I'm a Bears fan in
terms of the way that I feel about a my
quarterback and head coach Combo and b the way that
we're running.

Speaker 2 (46:20):
The ball Detroit looked.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
It looks a lot more like Detroit's offense than Detroit's
offense looks like Detroit's offense.

Speaker 2 (46:26):
In the years past.

Speaker 3 (46:27):
The way my Nun guy and Swift running just I mean,
what one hundred yards for the both of them, Like,
so that's hard to do.

Speaker 2 (46:33):
It's also hard to give up there many rest of
your eyes.

Speaker 3 (46:36):
But that's hard to do, right, So I would feel
good about that, and then also like knowing that my
quarterback can still make some of the players like he
made yesterday for the touchdown. That touchdown throw was one
of those just like I wasn't the way it was
drawn up on the sidelines, but you know what, my
quarterback can figure it out. And that's what makes a
guy like Caleb Williams special and takes a difference between

(46:57):
a guy like him and like a Jared Golf.

Speaker 4 (46:59):
And before we move on from Caleb Williams, you could say,
you just watching him now, he's not doing the hero
play every single time. He seems more relaxed and like.

Speaker 2 (47:09):
Happy, playing within himself.

Speaker 4 (47:11):
Yes, and happy, just happy just looks Glenning helps absolutely,
but it's contagious and.

Speaker 3 (47:20):
So you have that growth. And I'm not knocking the
Bears at all. They have a ton of Division games
coming up totally. The future of this Bears team is
in front of them still. But I would say I
think you're moved into successful season category. The Eagles, to me,
are still in a situation where their record, like we

(47:42):
said it last week, going into the Cowboys game, which
team the vibes and the records don't match the Cowboys vibes.
CD's talking about I'll hold my liquor, George Pickens, I'm
coming at a don't matter.

Speaker 2 (47:55):
You know we're gonna do.

Speaker 3 (47:56):
Dude, We'll just be you know, Jerry Rice and Toreloz
and he decided this thing. Don't mind us, don't you
know what I mean? We just have one of the
most efficient offenses in football the last two weeks. You
look at the Eagles, They've averaged fifteen points a game
in the last four games.

Speaker 2 (48:10):
And now, mind you, in the last four games they
beat the.

Speaker 3 (48:13):
Lions, right, So they've won games against teams that you know,
going in, would have thought were Super Bowl contenders. But
this is what I think the AJ Brown was talking
about the whole excuse me, the whole time of they're
not efficient enough offensively on a down to down basis

(48:34):
to go in and win some of these games.

Speaker 4 (48:36):
And I agree to that. But we just saw them
against the Cowboys where I texted you and I was like,
they're making us look bad.

Speaker 2 (48:43):
But what I say?

Speaker 4 (48:44):
You said, the game's not over one.

Speaker 2 (48:46):
I said, the Cowboys are still.

Speaker 4 (48:47):
Gonna win in the games all over. Yes, but when
you're up twenty one zero or twenty one to three.
Was that happen? You were up at one point twenty
one zero and then in the second half you could
not make a stop. You also couldn't do anything offensively,
but your defense also let you down on that as well.

Speaker 6 (49:02):
But see, so this is kind of the way say,
it's so discombobulous.

Speaker 3 (49:05):
This is how I look at football, right, And maybe
this is like from a gambling perspective or or something
like that, but like, uh, this is the way I
generally view it. If you have a total of a
game that's like fifty five and a half or fifty
four and a half, right, the betting total that's like twenty,
the final score of that game is going to be

(49:26):
somewhere between like twenty eight to twenty four to.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
Like how many points is a team going to score? Right?

Speaker 3 (49:34):
Like, even if it's even in the Chargers who they beat,
they befloor the team bro bad Jaguars game, Jaguars beat
them real bad? Yes, right, it was like thirty two
to six or something like that, right, Like how many
points can a team score? So when you're texting me,
the Cowboys are making us look back and we have
both picked the Cowboys to win that game out right,

(49:55):
I text you back, I said, I bet you the
Eagles don't score another day. That said, the Eagles score
one more touchdow in the entirety of this game when
they were up twenty one to nothing. Right, So like
when they did it blaming the defense in that game.
I understand the concept, right, but holding a team to
under twenty one points more than likely should get you

(50:18):
a win.

Speaker 2 (50:18):
Do you know what I'm saying? Like, yes, you should
be like that overwhelmingly.

Speaker 3 (50:22):
If your defense can hold a team under twenty one
points under three touchdowns, then you should be able to
win more games than not. Right now, where the Eagles are,
they're in a spot they can't do that, right, So
like to me, do you see what I'm saying? Like
Cowboy took them with twenty four points to win that
game to twenty eight points to win, so it's like,
I look at that, So I think the Eagles are
gonna win the game forty three to ten to get

(50:45):
too close to that total, like probably not Like okay,
it stands to reason that.

Speaker 2 (50:50):
And if you go back and look at look at
the drive summary too.

Speaker 4 (50:53):
Yeah, yeah, I went back just to I just remember.
I was like, man, you guys got to get a stop.
But in reality, it was the offense. I forgot about
the fumble. I forgot they it was bad. It was
just bad. The offense was oraentus in the second half.
You're right, You're right.

Speaker 2 (51:05):
Yeah, it's like because you gotta keep scoring, got it.

Speaker 4 (51:07):
Yes, especially against a team that is scoring, you have.

Speaker 3 (51:10):
To keep they And if you go back to the
first half, the first half, I believe it was off
of Dallas turnover that they scored an early touchdown off
of Like it wasn't like Philly came out and drove
the ball down the field like in the Michigan Ohio
State game today.

Speaker 2 (51:26):
Right, Michigan's got an early turnover, got a field goal
out of it.

Speaker 3 (51:31):
Right, drove the ball down the field one good time
really all day.

Speaker 2 (51:35):
Got a field goal out of it.

Speaker 3 (51:37):
That's why when they had the Jeremies fifth touchdown, that
wasn't It's like, oh, this is gonna be too much
to overcome. Michigan's not moving the ball like Philly wasn't
moving the ball on Dallas. But if you give them
the ball in the red zone, they'll score touch, you
know what I mean. So it's like but consistently moving
the ball. Like today, Ohio State was the better team

(51:57):
because they can just line up and get for you.

Speaker 4 (52:00):
Yeah. The one the offense. The one thing with the
offense is it hasn't been good for a minute though,
Like even against the Lions, Like what did they put
up seventeen points and won that because the Lions couldn't
get it. It wasn't a high scoring game against the Packers,
it's not a high scoring game. The offense has lacked
throughout the entire season, and I guess they've been kind
of squeaking by with their defense coming in clutch. And

(52:22):
then it's just unfortunately against the Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (52:24):
But again if but you're right, fifteen points a game, yes,
you're right, right? How many?

Speaker 10 (52:30):
Right?

Speaker 2 (52:30):
We're supposed to win games? Fourteen to ten? This is
this isn't high.

Speaker 4 (52:33):
School, No, not at all, not at all.

Speaker 2 (52:36):
Coming up next, we're gonna try something new here.

Speaker 3 (52:40):
Ian's gonna score it, so we will be it will
be competitive, and I just want you to know what
Monty lacks in heights, she makes up for a competitive nature.
I don't have this much competitive So I'm just gonna
try to make it out of this next seven without
her trying to beat me up. That's my sole goal here.
So you could say this is I have more to lose.

Speaker 4 (53:02):
This was your plan to gain more to lose.

Speaker 3 (53:05):

I kind of appreciate Montie and her windbreaker today. Today
is not a day for a cool shirt. Today's not

(53:27):
a happy day. Today's a sad day.

Speaker 4 (53:30):
It is a sad day for you.

Speaker 2 (53:43):
So here goes nothing. Let's try it.

Speaker 4 (53:48):
Let's try this, Let's try the new game.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
I wanted to bust this out.

Speaker 3 (53:52):
I've been trying to add an idea for this and
do you want to explain You want me to explain it?

Speaker 2 (53:57):
How you want to go ahead and do this?

Speaker 8 (53:58):
Yeah, I can give it a go. But if I'm
missing thing, just just clean up after me. Yeah. I've
got a few NFL games here for you guys. We're
gonna run through them, and you guys are gonna tell
me which of the two teams in each matchup has
more to lose going into the matchup. Okay, makes sense?
All right, let's start with this one. The San Francisco
forty nine ers are going to Cleveland to face the Browns.

(54:20):
The Niners are third in the NFC West one game back.
The Browns are fourth in the AFC North three games back,
but they are also trying to see what they have
in their young quarterback shud Or Sanders. So let's start
with you, Martin.

Speaker 6 (54:34):
Who has more to lose?

Speaker 3 (54:35):
I'd say, And I don't want to just do teams
like players as well. Sure, yeah, yeah, the person with
the most to lose in this game is Shadoor Sanders.
Gotcha if he doesn't ball out again, and I say
ball out again? Balling out as much as he balled
out last week. Will do get the job done?

Speaker 2 (54:51):
Right?

Speaker 3 (54:51):
Yeah, but if he's got to look it's got to
look the part he looked apart last week. If he
continues to look the part, he could have a career
in his league. They are waiting for him to have
a bad four quarters.

Speaker 2 (55:02):
This could be it. He's got the most to lose.

Speaker 4 (55:04):
It's also his first home game, right like, in front
of the fans. Like, I see that he does have
a lot to lose. I don't disagree, But in reality,
let's look at the big picture here. Who has the
most to lose. It's the San Francisco forty nine ers.
You just set their position in their division their last games.
The rest of the games they have to face the
Bears and the Seahawks. It's they don't know what they

(55:27):
can win. They have to win this game in order
to stay with the Seahawks in the division or even
knock them or knock the Rams like. They cannot risk
losing against a team that is looking more for the future,
not this season. Browns are worried about the future. Forty
nine ers, you need to worry about right now. They
have more to lose.

Speaker 8 (55:48):
Okay, I'm gonna give the point to monci that round.
Both very good points though. Next up Houston Texans going
to Indianapolis to face the Colts. The Texans are third
in the AFC South right now, two games the lead.
Coulter first in the AFC South. They only have a
one game lead though, and remember Daniel Jones has a
fractured fibula. Now, so what do you guys think who's
got more to lose in this matchup? We'll start with you, Moncie, all.

Speaker 4 (56:10):
Right, So who has more to lose? Because there's a
lot here, but it's c J. Stroud. CJ. Stroud has
the most to lose because your team just won three
without you, and you have to show that you are
the QB one for the Houston Texans. You know their
defense is top notch. So it's you have to go

(56:32):
out and show the Texans that you are not the
reason that you are not winning, because again they've won
without you with the backup quarterback.

Speaker 3 (56:39):
So I do agree CJ has a lot to lose.
But the last time C. Destraw wasn't a Texan, Davis
Millsviell is the quarterback and that's c Distrow became a Texan.
The person with the most to lose in this matchup
is Daniel Jones. He's already got a fractured fibula, which
are two words that do not jive with healthy football player.

Speaker 2 (56:58):
For me hersin the league, I.

Speaker 3 (57:01):
Wouldn't be playing football or doing much of anything with
a fractured anything.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
But Daniel Jones.

Speaker 3 (57:06):
They make this straight for sauce Garden because they said
Daniel is our guy. He then goes out and has
a stinker. If he has another stinker, we could be
looking at conversations of like, is Anthony Richardson really that
bad in Indianapolis?

Speaker 2 (57:20):
And he answers yes, and.

Speaker 3 (57:22):
They're gonna be up a bad paddle up a creek
without a paddle, all right.

Speaker 8 (57:25):
Point Martin on that one, I wholeheartedly agree with the
Daniel Jones one.

Speaker 6 (57:28):
There.

Speaker 8 (57:29):
Next up, LA Rams going to Carolina to face the Panthers.
The Rams are first in the NFC West, might be
the best team in football right now, who knows, with
a one game lead in their division. Panthers are second
in the NFC South, but they're actually tied with the
Bucks for the lead. They both have six wins on
the season, so who has more to lose in this game,
Martin will start with you this time, I'm.

Speaker 3 (57:50):
Gonna go Dave Canalis, head coach of the Carolina Panthers.
This year, the NFC South has been begging for another
team besides the tamp Bay Buccaneers to win it for
the last like what I think six to seven years,
Carolina went from a good story in the beginning of
the year to like, are they actually a decent team here?

Speaker 2 (58:11):
You can beat If you beat the Rams, win the South.

Speaker 3 (58:13):
I'm not saying you have everything figured out in Carolina,
but this this week could be a job extending week
for Dave Canalis. You lose this, things to get ugly.

Speaker 4 (58:24):
Big picture, let's look at the big picture and I
could if we want to say one person, but in reality,
the Rams, Matthew Stafford, they need this win. They would
like to knock the Eagles out of the number one seed.
They cannot play on the road, they can't play a
gold weather last year they lost to the Eagles. Matthew
Stafford is not that great. He needs to have a
home field advantage and that's what the Rams are fighting

(58:45):
for to get the number one seed in the NFC.
So they absolutely the Rams need this win.

Speaker 2 (58:51):
All right.

Speaker 8 (58:52):
I'm gonna give that round to Monci. Both very compelling
arguments there, but yeah, I agree with Monci. The Seahawks
are just biting on their heels, right They.

Speaker 4 (59:00):
Need wield advantage though they remember last year they lost
to the to the Eagles the divisional round, divisional round.
That sounds right, That sounds right like it would Matthew
Stafford needs.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
Eagles got to make it to the division around too.

Speaker 4 (59:15):
But what I'm saying is more importantly they want. He
wants home field advantage. He wants to be able to play.

Speaker 2 (59:19):
He already won the point. Okay, you already.

Speaker 6 (59:25):
Okay, next time, guys. Buffalo Bills at the competitors.

Speaker 2 (59:30):
Yeah, the fight's over. Go to the next round.

Speaker 6 (59:33):
He's already dead.

Speaker 8 (59:34):
Stop it. No, the Buffalo Bills at the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Bills are second in the AFC East right now.
They're three full games behind New England right now. So yeah,
that's a take that as you will. And then the
Pittsburgh Steelers first in the AFC North, but like the Panthers,
they are also tied with another team, the Ravens, atop
the division. So in this matchup, Bill's at Steelers. Who's

(59:56):
got the most to lose Monty.

Speaker 4 (59:58):
The most to lose in this situation is Josh Allen
because last week he was ass then the week before
he accounts for six touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (01:00:09):
He the week before he had six touchdowns. The next
week get kount of for six sacks.

Speaker 4 (01:00:13):
Sacks exactly like his up and down up and down
is not ideal, not only for his career but for
the Bills. Like he needs to be careful because Haley
Steinfeld is gonna leave him if he gets another loss.
Maybe for Michael B.

Speaker 6 (01:00:25):
Jordan fans hate him. I just found out, you know why,
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:00:30):
I agree that, Yes, I've seen that. I don't know why.
So see more so, if this is Josh Allen, Hailey Steinfeld,
fan's gonna come at.

Speaker 3 (01:00:38):
You, Martin, I'm going with Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh
Steelers as a as a concept. Like, seriously, there are
a few things that I understand to be true about football,
and one of them is Mike Tomlin as a winning record,
and it's supposed to be in the playoffs every so often.
It's slightly disappointing if they lose this, if they lose

(01:00:59):
this they having an ashg North. I get that as Baltimore,
I get that. It's Lamar Jackson. I get that he's
a top three candidate for MVP every single year. But
you know what, he missed four games. This team started
out one to five. You cannot get caught by them.
Absolutely not get caught by them, especially after they lost
to Thursday night against Cincinnati. The Steelers have to win

(01:01:23):
this game, and legitimately, if they don't get to eight
to nine wins this year, they gotta break the whole
thing up.

Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
This is like the Tomlin Legacy season.

Speaker 6 (01:01:31):
To me, well said, I'm gonna go point Martin there again.

Speaker 8 (01:01:35):
The Ravens are just nipping at their heels right now,
so it's uh, it's close.

Speaker 4 (01:01:39):
Especially the quarterback has a broken wrist. Steeves are not
gonna win it.

Speaker 6 (01:01:43):
It's two to two right now. We got one time
breaking broken other risks.

Speaker 4 (01:01:46):
I don't care. That doesn't sound like a quarterback that
you would want starting for your team. Oh it's the
other one. Okay, great, So I'm gonna go for.

Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
That hand carry too. We're good to go.

Speaker 8 (01:01:56):
The last point up for grabs here features the the
LA Chargers The Raiders are fourth in the AFC West
right now, full four games back, so they're struggling right now.
They just fired Chip Kelly, though, so there's at least
hope where that could maybe rectify things, get them on
the right course. The Chargers are second in the AFC West,
two games back of the Broncos. Who's got the most

(01:02:16):
to lose in this game?

Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
Manzi?

Speaker 11 (01:02:18):
Is this even a question? Of course, it's the Chargers
the rate. If you lose to the Raiders, go back
to Michigan. You can have him back, like, there is
no way.

Speaker 4 (01:02:30):
That the Chargers can lose to the Raiders because we
are literally fighting to stay in the playoffs right now.
I know we have beat our divisional opponents, but no,
we can't to the rate. No, just blow it up,
send them back to Michigan.

Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
Moncey makes a great point, however, and I agree with
everywhere he said. So I am not this is not
in refute our in rebuttal. This is just me trying
to make something. The person with the most to lose
in this game is Pete Carroll's son, the offensive line
coach for the Las Vegas Raiders. Here's the reason why
everybody I saw Tom Pella Sero go on TV and

(01:03:10):
say that Chip Kelly was making up plays and that's
how the Raiders was so bad.

Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
I see the film breakdowns for the Raiders.

Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
They get MC seventeen breakdowns because it's that bad, big
ass right there. If the Raiders' offensive line looks just
as bad as it used to, Pete Carroll's son will
never have another job in football. This is a make
or break week for Pete Carroll's son. Because Pete's done,
he can't hire him again. Pete Carroll's son, whose name

(01:03:38):
we may never know, We may never know.

Speaker 8 (01:03:41):
All right, we're gonna give the tie breaker on this
inaugural addition to Moncey. Well done, Monci.

Speaker 4 (01:03:45):
Sad, I thank you, thank you. I would like to
thank Pete Carroll Son for this first win.

Speaker 3 (01:03:51):
Thank you so much, just said Pete Carroll Son. It's
a Dynas Carroll legacy could end next week.

Speaker 6 (01:03:58):
How about hidden option number three?

Speaker 8 (01:03:59):
I think what about Jesse Mintor defensive coordinator for the Chargers,
because he's he's a hot head coaching candidate. So if
the Chargers don't start turning their season around, you know,
start to look like they did at the beginning. He
might not be a hot head coaching candidate.

Speaker 3 (01:04:12):
You know what, he might be a good for the
part too. More to gain, more to gain. If Jesse
Mintor sacks. You know how many the brown sacked the Raiders.
I think eight times total.

Speaker 6 (01:04:26):
They're still sacking him.

Speaker 3 (01:04:28):
It's like it is somewhere like somewhere upwards. Is that
I remember because I looked it up because I said
that Miles Garret might get eight sacks by himself.

Speaker 2 (01:04:34):
Yeah, I think the Browns.

Speaker 6 (01:04:35):
I think it was ten. I think total team sacks.

Speaker 8 (01:04:38):
And it was the record for the most times a
Raiders quarterback had been sacked.

Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
So I just think about that is Jesse Mentor can
you get him twelve times?

Speaker 6 (01:04:46):
Now that's food for thought.

Speaker 1 (01:04:47):
Now I have.

Speaker 3 (01:04:48):
Seen several again. My neighbors downstairs are they're loud. They're
also Raider fans, AOC activated from injury reserve. I got
a lot of noise, they got it. That was big
news for UH from downstairs neighbors. I don't think it'll
make too much of a difference for the Raiders in general,

(01:05:09):
but the big news for the as Rob g will
call them, the Medello crowd live downstairs.

Speaker 4 (01:05:17):
I don't love him, Adelo, I don't love them MODELO.

Speaker 3 (01:05:21):
You know what, we had a tweet asking you about
some of your your alcohol consumption.

Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
We'll get to that one after the singer's up there.

Speaker 9 (01:05:30):
Did you just say Alexandria Ocssio Cortez was activated off
ajurer reserve?

Speaker 4 (01:05:36):
Sounded like it.

Speaker 3 (01:05:37):
Listen between her or ain't O'Connell? Can somebody complete a pass?

Speaker 9 (01:05:43):
By the way, there was Brendan Carroll that we were
talking about.

Speaker 2 (01:05:46):
P Carroll's son.

Speaker 9 (01:05:47):
He was twenty years ago US. He's tight ends coach.
Don't know how he got the job. And then for
years he was a Seattle Seahawks assistant. Again, don't know,
don't know how.

Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
The man might have man might have to retire from football.

Speaker 3 (01:06:01):
That's after it is and they want to give it
to Jim Harbaugh got it yes.

Speaker 9 (01:06:05):
By the way, ap of the Bay Area had a
great stat that the Raiders record all time at SOFI
Stadium when there are fans so not the twenty twenty
game with no fans in that stadium, They're zero to
six with fans in attendance, the worst record in any
stadium since the merger in nineteen seventy Raiders at Chargers tomorrow.
And you mentioned Mike Tomlin, who's had many a year

(01:06:26):
with the Pittsburgh Steelers. They win when they run the ball,
when they outrush their opponents, they win four out of
every five games, and when they are a plus two
in turnovers in the game. Tomlin's teams are forty one
and four ew basics.

Speaker 3 (01:06:41):
It is more parent to me about Mike Tomlin than
any other coaching the NFL. He has figured out a
strategy to win sixty seven percent of the games he plays.
He's only that and he will use that strategy no
matter what.

Speaker 9 (01:06:55):
Steelers starting tackle Broderick Jones was placed on ir with
a neck injury. Defensive back of Sante Samuel Junior is
up from their practice squad. Pittsburgh quarterback Aaron Rodgers will
return to play Sunday with the broken left wrist. Former
Detroit Lions Pro Bowl center Frank Ragno failed his physical.
The Dolphins activated tight end Darren Waller. Colts tight end
Tyler Warren is questionable due to illness. Now to college football,

(01:07:19):
they have started the third quarter at the LA Coliseum
with UCLA leading seventeenth ranked USC ten to seven. UCLA
is three to eight this year. USC starting quarterback Jaden
Mayavo almost one hundred and fifty yards passing in the
first half, but the team was zero four to two
on field goal attempts, one of those blocked late third quarter.

(01:07:39):
Eighteenth ranked Virginia now ahead of Virginia Tech twenty four
to nothing halftime. Number ten Alabama leads seventeen to six
at Auburn. Twenty fourth ranked Tulane is still shutting out
Charlotte twenty one nothing in the third halftime at Cal
Golden Bears ahead of number twenty one SMU seventeen to seven.
There's still a chance that Duke gets in the ACC

(01:08:01):
title game, okay. Number nine Notre Dame is at Stanford
in the late game in an hour. Number one Ohio
State was a winner at Michigan twenty seven to nine.
Buckeys had trailed six nothing in the first quarter. Big
twelve title game BYU against Texas Tech fifth ranked Texas
Tech forty nine nothing. Winners at West Virginia well number

(01:08:21):
eleven BYU down fourteen nothing after the first quarter, still
won at home against UCF forty one twenty one by
the way. As far as conference title game, matchups I
should mention Big ten title game is next Saturday night,
Ohio State against Indiana in Indianapolis. Number six, Oregon at
Washington Today Ducks went at twenty six fourteen eighth ranked

(01:08:43):
Oklahoma beat LSU seventeen thirteen on a fifty eight yard
touchdown pass with under five minutes to go. John Matteer
two tds, three interceptions, three hundred eighteen yards passing. Number twelve.
Miami won at Pitt thirty eight seven, fourteenth rank. Vanderbilt
won at number nineteen Tennessee forty five twenty four and
Vandy had trailed twenty one fourteen late in the first

(01:09:06):
Louisville shut out Kentucky forty one nothing. Clemson won at
South Carolina twenty eight to fourteen. Florida beat Florida State
tonight forty to twenty one as the Gators Jaden Baugh
on thirty eight carries had two hundred and sixty six
yards rushing and two touchdowns in the PAC twelve matchup,
and I mean that literally. This is the only PAC
twelve matchup possible. There are two teams in the league,

(01:09:28):
Washington State Leeds Oregon State twenty five nothing mid fourth
quarter Michigan State is zero to eight in the Big
Ten Conference, but holding on to a home lead against Maryland.
About five minutes to go third quarter on FS one.
Spartan's lead Maryland thirty one twenty eight, and we've got
a snow game on Fox TV. Mid third quarter at
Illinois Line I lead Northwestern seventeen to ten. And how's

(01:09:52):
Bill Belichick's team doing well? North Carolina could finish two
and six in the ACC. They're trailing early third quarter
at end c State twenty eight to ten. We can
update that women's basketball score from last hour. They've done
it again. Fifth ranked LSU one twelve to thirty five.
Damn over Washington State. So that's now eight straight one

(01:10:14):
hundred point games at NCAA record for LSU.

Speaker 3 (01:10:18):
Back to you, what streak ends first, LSU women's score
scoring over one hundred or days before we know where
a Lane Kiffin is going to face because god late,
yeah it is now it is six thirty nine Pacific time.

Speaker 9 (01:10:35):
Well, LSU just finished the tournament tonight, so they don't
play for another few days. Wow, I'll go with Kiffin.

Speaker 2 (01:10:40):
I mean, at this rate, I feel like I'm watching
I feel like i'm in.

Speaker 3 (01:10:43):
I feel like I'm back on Carrollton and Banks at
By Jesuit High School, waiting for the white smoke, Like,
what are we doing?

Speaker 4 (01:10:51):
Seriously?

Speaker 3 (01:10:51):
How long is it going to take? What's the deliberation?
Like I was with you, let's wait till Saturday. It's
the egg Bowl, all right, egg Boll's done it going now?
Egg both done't going now?

Speaker 9 (01:11:02):
And I would take black smoke at this point.

Speaker 2 (01:11:05):
Right any this some smoke to let us know you're
still in there.

Speaker 4 (01:11:09):
It's like something if this was that heart of a decision,
why even put yourself in this position? You know, like
if you knew you wanted to leave, it's like, go
by all means. But if it's this heart of a
decision for you, and that's why it's dragging out, why
are we doing this?

Speaker 9 (01:11:21):
I can understand the ad putting a deadline on it.
You know, we got to move forward one way or another,
and we've got a good thing going here. This is
this is what I absolutely hate every season, is that
when players or coaches aren't committed to the full season,
however long it goes. This might be the case here.
I love the fact that when I heard North Texas

(01:11:42):
coach was leaving there, what eleven one after yesterday? The
thing was, yeah, he's getting the Oklahoma State job, but
you're darn right he's sticking around for here because we
had a conference title game next week and we might
actually be in the playoff as the best of the
group of five teams.

Speaker 3 (01:11:56):
Great for them, it's just they have got Here's the thing,
the way it is right now, the wild west of
it all. That's all working cool with like handshake deals,
until somebody decides I'm no longer honoring handshake deals. Yeah right,
you know what I'm saying that it's all falls apart
as soon as somebody says I'm not following your word

(01:12:17):
of mouth, like the idea that we're not gonna like
And I'm not saying that that is exactly what happened
with the North Texas Oklahoma State deal here. But like,
if I'm North Texas and Oklahoma State probably will not
play each other. But I don't know what the all
time record is, but I can't imagine they're they're they're
lying enough to schedule LSU and Old Miss play every year, right,

(01:12:41):
So it's like if I'm LSU, ain't no way in
hell if you want to come work here, you get
the co coach over there.

Speaker 2 (01:12:47):
No, no, you done with her? You over here with me.
You're coming home with me, right, that's the way. That's
the way it would be.

Speaker 4 (01:12:56):
Yeah, I would be. I would be the exact same
way you want to go. Okay, I just don't you
on the way out.

Speaker 2 (01:13:03):
I just you know what.

Speaker 3 (01:13:05):
Either way, the fact that this is now down to
LSU and in Ole miss to me, it shows you
just how silly the governor of Louisiana was and anybody
who thought that that was an actual impediment.

Speaker 9 (01:13:19):
Yeah, wait till you hear this contract. If he actually
goes to an issue.

Speaker 2 (01:13:23):
Oh, we're not going to hide the coaches with the
bigger buyeouts. What you think Lane Kiffin is going to
cost to get about of LSU? You know, invariably in
four years when you want to fire.

Speaker 9 (01:13:34):
Right, because the Kis came up today with Kentucky because
they had their guys signed past twenty thirty. I mean,
oh my god, this is the eclipse side of the
coin when you give in this type of industry long
term deals.

Speaker 3 (01:13:48):
This is what I was telling Manti just earlier, Like
the problem with the playoff. Now it just has deluded,
like Michigan had an opportunity to go to the playoff,
and the reason why, even if they had lost to
Ohio State and had beaten Oklahoma, they might have gotten in, right,
depending on all the calculations as such.

Speaker 9 (01:14:06):
Basically you got to finish in the top ten to
get in the playoffs these days.

Speaker 2 (01:14:09):
So but Oklahoma is like that.

Speaker 3 (01:14:12):
It would have been a Michigan or Oklahoma right depending
on how it all shook out. Neither one of those
teams is even close to a national champion either. Neither
one of those teams it's even close. And I was
telling her, I was saying, this is a season where
you should be spoiling somebody else, like a ninety three
minusigive should be spoiling somebody else instead, Like.

Speaker 9 (01:14:33):
What do you mean spoiling?

Speaker 3 (01:14:34):
Well, like it's spoiled, like like uh, beating in Ohio
State to end the season or something like beating an
undefeated team spoiling another team's chances, right, not necessarily all
like the iron.

Speaker 2 (01:14:45):
Ball, I don't know what the score is. I know
it's Alabama Belt to ask right now.

Speaker 9 (01:14:48):
No, it's over because Auburn's never gonna score twenty points, right, right,
But like in years past, Right, it's almost just like
the Urban Meyer prediction on the pregame today, as soon
as Ohio State gets three touchdowns, today's game is over.

Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
It was he said it's a rapping and sure enough
it was. Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:15:03):
But like that's what this is generally four And now
I'm looking at nine to two Oklahoma about to compete
for a national championship with a quarterback who's had multiple
three interception games.

Speaker 2 (01:15:14):
It's just things that don't make sense. Two plus two
is five up. He's down. I don't know what to
do anymore.

Speaker 9 (01:15:19):
There were sixteen punts in that game LSU at Oklahoma today.

Speaker 3 (01:15:24):
One team fired the coach. The other team won by four,
and they're going to the Nationals.

Speaker 9 (01:15:30):
The dance and without the long pass at the end,
Oklahoma would have lost at home. It was another drought
from the offense.

Speaker 2 (01:15:37):
It's ridiculous. I hate what they've done to this sport.

Speaker 3 (01:15:41):
Well, since they've made it the NFL Junior MONTI, let's
go ahead and talk about the NFL coming up next.
Are they hiding this quarterback from the world or the
world hiding from this quarterback?

Speaker 2 (01:15:51):
We'll get to that in just a minute. Martin Weis's
Manzi Volanos, Fox.

Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
Sports Radio, Moncie, the NFL is the best reality TV
show out.

Speaker 4 (01:16:01):
Yeah, I know that.

Speaker 3 (01:16:02):
People like the Love Islands, Temptation Island, and whatever other island.

Speaker 4 (01:16:07):
It's great you could pick I love that. I don't
watch Love Island, but Temptation Island.

Speaker 2 (01:16:12):
Oh, they all have Love or Island, some combination of this.

Speaker 4 (01:16:15):
Mary gets it, Temptation. It's the I need you to like.
It's just crazy to put yourself in that position. These
couples like, you're crazy. Couples go to some hot place
and they separate the couples and you are surrounded by
singles that are trying to separate you and your partner

(01:16:36):
by proving is it worth it? Are we really meant
to be together?

Speaker 3 (01:16:41):
That doesn't sound too unlike the Minnesota Vikings quarterback situation
you had. Sam Donald right sent them off. He said, no, no, no,
I'm sticking with my draft pick. I picked them number one.
He was number one in my heart out of the
first round of the draft. JJ McCart Kevin, I'm sticking

(01:17:01):
with Aaron Rodgers. You can't call me quick calling me
Aaron Rodgers. I want JJ, Daniel Jones, you can't call me.

Speaker 2 (01:17:10):
I want JJ. I want JJ.

Speaker 4 (01:17:12):
He did not want JJ.

Speaker 2 (01:17:14):
Did he want J?

Speaker 4 (01:17:15):
Who was somebody wanted jjj' we got JJ? Who we got?

Speaker 2 (01:17:19):
And so you know he had the mystery is ankle injury?

Speaker 4 (01:17:24):
I actually where he was still on the sideline during
the game.

Speaker 3 (01:17:27):
I'm hop skipping and jumping over for Justin Jefferson. I
actually went back and watched the film. I did all
twenty two NFL plus pay for this to go back
and see did in fact JJ McCarthy.

Speaker 2 (01:17:38):
Hit his head. He did?

Speaker 4 (01:17:41):
He did?

Speaker 3 (01:17:42):
He did one good time was like, okay, I get
it now. It's not enough to excuse the game you're
played prior to because he was terrible leading up. However,
like how much is too much? How long do you
need to know before you know?

Speaker 9 (01:18:01):
You know?

Speaker 4 (01:18:01):
When they say when you know, you know, and when
you don't you don't.

Speaker 2 (01:18:05):
Do you think the Vikings know?

Speaker 4 (01:18:06):
Because what if I did?

Speaker 3 (01:18:08):
And if you're woke up last week we're talking about
that they're done with JJ McCarthy.

Speaker 4 (01:18:12):
Yes, I do think they know. I do think they
know that he is nowhere near ready and it's just
is there potential for it to get better that I
don't know, but I think they know right now he's
not ready.

Speaker 3 (01:18:28):
It seems to me that there's just like and this
is the thing that I think that we don't as fans, right,
as media or whatever, we don't consider this. It's like short,
maybe JJ McCarthy, under the right circumstance, on the right lift,
could be a good NFL quarterback, But then what is
the upside?

Speaker 2 (01:18:49):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:18:49):
Like like, for example, I watched Josh Allen's rookie year
and I watched him do things that seemed like this
guy's never want you to be a good quarterback, right,
some of the plays that he made and culminating with
throwing the ball behind your head and Houston against Deshaan
Watson and that playoff team many moons ago. But the six'

(01:19:13):
five of, it, all the speed of, it, all the
strength of, it all the idea and when he throws,
that When i'll see that boy throw that, ball As
Andrew peterson said About Patrick, mahomes that thing comes off
like a. ROCKET i can deal with some of this,
stuff but it's like WITH, jj and even with such
your door, standers what's the, Point like IF i develop

(01:19:34):
you to your. Maximum what's the best?

Speaker 4 (01:19:36):
Right and you already have a great situation around. You
The vikings are a good team with they were great
last year without. You and you also have somebody that's
considered a quarterback whisper In kevin. O'Connell what other better
situation are you in?

Speaker 2 (01:19:51):
Now i'll tell.

Speaker 4 (01:19:52):
You that's WHY i Think Kevina collens, like we're gonna
situ aside because you're you're ruining my.

Speaker 6 (01:19:55):
Reputation you want.

Speaker 2 (01:19:56):
To talk more to?

Speaker 3 (01:19:56):
Lose Sam donald goes down here and balls. Out kevin
O'Connell have a job to, Lose, yeah he said he
picked the.

Speaker 1 (01:20:03):
Rock don't listening To Fox.

Speaker 3 (01:20:08):
Sports that's right on The Fox Sports Football Saturday Rivalry week.

Speaker 2 (01:20:15):
Right, NOW us Rival Week.

Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
Ival it's a Little big ten historic, matchup you, know
one that we just have known.

Speaker 2 (01:20:27):
Historically usc Uc la goes down to The big ten.

Speaker 12 (01:20:31):
History books as a, Producer ian raises his arms up
in celebration As Jordan's pretty throws a touchdown to Mackay.

Speaker 2 (01:20:44):
Lemon that's his first catch of.

Speaker 3 (01:20:45):
TODAY i know that because just the second of, it
showed That Makayle lemon And Jacoby lane that combined for
one catch twelve yards now to be two catches for
forty two yards and A usc. Touchdown Nico i Am
aliava and The. Bruins they've been a great. Story they've

(01:21:06):
still only won three.

Speaker 2 (01:21:07):
Games.

Speaker 3 (01:21:08):
Now one of those three is against the number two
team in the nation at the. Time, yeah who also
lost The rutgers, Today so keep that in. MIND i
don't think that you'll have A heisman from anyone of these, Games,
monci but ahead of Your saturday, standout, yeah. Yeah do
you want to ask, you if the season ended, today

(01:21:32):
who's Your Heisman trophy?

Speaker 4 (01:21:33):
WINNER i think you AND i are on the same
page on. THIS i think that if it was right,
now there's only one, answer, right It's Fernando.

Speaker 3 (01:21:40):
MENDOZA i think you can make a case For Jeremiah,
love But Fernando mendoza would be My heisman.

Speaker 4 (01:21:45):
Winner you can make a, case BUT i feel like
you can make a case every year for someone. Else
but there's One Fernando, mendoza with the record That indiana,
HAS i feel like there's no way you don't give
it to. Him if it was right, now if it was,
right if it was right, now, WELL i think things can.

Speaker 3 (01:22:01):
CHANGE i Have Ernanda mendoz would be my. GUY i
think he cements that when they win The Big Ten,
CHAMPIONSHIP i think he cements. That and you, know as
tough as This Notre dame did they did, Lose, yeah
it lose some games early in the. YEAR i don't
know that'll matter less and less and.

Speaker 8 (01:22:18):
Less you know what would be sad, though is that
If Jeremiah lov doesn't, win then that stat comes to
an end that every year ending in a, five a
running back has won The.

Speaker 6 (01:22:26):
Heisman did you guys see?

Speaker 3 (01:22:27):
That?

Speaker 2 (01:22:27):
OH i.

Speaker 8 (01:22:27):
Didn't since the awards, started every year that ends in a,
five a running back has won The.

Speaker 6 (01:22:33):
Award so it almost feels Like Jeremiah lov has to.

Speaker 2 (01:22:36):
Win twenty twenty Then. No five, okay.

Speaker 8 (01:22:40):
Twenty, fifteen which Was Derrick henry two thousand and. Five Reggie, bush,
yeah all the way. Back this has been on several. Broadcasts, Carter,
yeah it's it's it's a wild. Stat that's why it
would just be such a. Heartbreaker if you, Know.

Speaker 3 (01:22:56):
I'm going to look up and see If John cardinal
with the nineteen ninety five five has been While i'm doing,
that make some.

Speaker 8 (01:23:00):

Speaker 4 (01:23:27):

Speaker 6 (01:23:29):
There John carter.

Speaker 3 (01:23:31):
Finished second nineteen ninety, five And i've chose me who won?
It i'm SORRY i had the wrong year finish second
nineteen ninety.

Speaker 6 (01:23:38):
Four who wanted a ninety? FIVE i had to be
a running, Back Eddie.

Speaker 2 (01:23:41):
George there you, go just.

Speaker 6 (01:23:44):
Crazy it has to Be Jeremiah love because of that Fin.

Speaker 4 (01:23:47):
But that's a silly, reason ALTHOUGH i get.

Speaker 6 (01:23:49):
It, YEAH i, know it's a Totally it shouldn't be.

Speaker 9 (01:23:51):
Over.

Speaker 8 (01:23:52):
Yeah, anyway let's jump into this week's picks. Though week,
thirteen we'll start with. This the forty nine ers are
going To cleveland to face the Brown ones as the road.
Team The niners are favored by five and a half. Points,
here we'll start with, You manci who you got?

Speaker 4 (01:24:07):
MEAN i, MEAN i Mean San francisco has not won
In cleveland in a hot. Second in a hot, SECOND
i don't think the weather's going to be ideal for
Brock party in his small.

Speaker 3 (01:24:20):
Hands, well It's cleveland In, november so the weather, definitely
it won't be ideal for.

Speaker 4 (01:24:23):
Anyone it, will but if you're used to, it you
have a little, bit a little bit little.

Speaker 2 (01:24:27):
Bit but even then it's still not. Ideal it's still not.

Speaker 4 (01:24:29):
Idea it's still not, idea but it's not gonna be.
Ideal also For christian. McCaffrey, Sure i'm taking The browns to.

Speaker 2 (01:24:35):
COVER i am taking The browns to. Cover uh as
much As.

Speaker 3 (01:24:41):
Cleveland has a quarterback, Question, yeah Does San. FRANCISCO i
think that if, if if The panthers had been able
to do anything in that last, GAME i wonder if
we had Seen Mac jones back and Brock party, say
my toe still hurts or does?

Speaker 2 (01:24:58):
It you're not as like one of, those that's the.

Speaker 4 (01:25:00):
Deal, Sure, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:25:02):
I'm With monciear Plus. Cleveland the weather is gonna impact
offensive a big.

Speaker 2 (01:25:08):
Way.

Speaker 4 (01:25:09):
Absolutely.

Speaker 8 (01:25:10):
Okay next, Up Houston texans At Indianapolis. Colts The colts
as the home team are favored by three favored by
a field goal, There But, martin who you.

Speaker 3 (01:25:18):
Got i'm gonna take The colts here. Too i'm gonna take.
THAT i JUST i DON'T i don't know even conceptually
how a fractured fibula. Works and like you can, WALK
i don't you know WHAT i? Mean SO i, like
IF i figure if he can, play then it can't
be that. Bad this isn't the most scientific of, breakdowns But,

(01:25:39):
indianapolis they can't have been this good offensively and defensively
to just fall off of a, Cliff So i'm betting
on prior.

Speaker 4 (01:25:47):
Performance this one's hard for. ME i don't know How
Daniel jones not despite the. FRACTURE i just don't know
how he's gonna handle a top. Defense like and IF
i see The colts winning on a field goal not by,
four you know What i'm, Saying i'm gonna have to

(01:26:11):
Take houston. Here i'm gonna Take. Houston.

Speaker 8 (01:26:14):
Okay next, Up Buffalo bills are favored by three, points
going on the road to face The Pittsburgh.

Speaker 6 (01:26:20):
Steelers who you got in this?

Speaker 2 (01:26:22):
One?

Speaker 6 (01:26:22):
Manzi what was it? Again the Line bills are favored by.

Speaker 4 (01:26:28):
Three The bills have to bounce, back and they have
to bounce back. Hard and The steelers defense is not
the defense we've. Seen it's you know WHAT i, Mean they're.
Average their defense is. Average they've also allowed thirty plus
points in five games this, season which is the most Under.
Tomlin AND i just think there's gonna be a bit

(01:26:49):
of A i have to come back and do something
based on how we got embarrassed last. Week give me The.
Bills i'll take The bills to.

Speaker 3 (01:26:55):
Cover both of The bills starting tackles are out for
this Gamej, Watt i'm looking at, You, Nate Harry, Big
i'm looking at. You they have to win this. Game
The steelers have got to win this game because if
they don't, lose if they don't win the, division it's
a rap for the. Playoffs and if they don't make
the playoffs with the lead that they had in this,
division it's sincerely time to consider complete and total. Renovations

(01:27:20):
over there On Pittsburgh Steeler.

Speaker 8 (01:27:21):
Drive next, up The Arizona cardinals are going To Tampa
bay to take on The. Bucks The, buccaneers as the home,
team are favored by three and a half.

Speaker 6 (01:27:29):
Points here who you, Got.

Speaker 2 (01:27:30):
Martin this is such a nasty. Line it.

Speaker 4 (01:27:32):
Is it's a tough.

Speaker 2 (01:27:34):
One this is so.

Speaker 3 (01:27:35):
Nasty it's so nasty That i'm just gonna plug my
nose and take The cardinals plus three and a half
because they're begging me to take The Broncos. Buccaneers they
are begging you to take The. Buccaneers buccaneers the top the, Division,
Cardinals they've been done Since. September everything is pointing to
take take The. Buccaneers So i'm gonna take The cardinals

(01:27:56):
up down.

Speaker 2 (01:27:57):
THEORY i.

Speaker 4 (01:27:57):
Suppose, Yeah, NO i really Think Teddy bridge does not
want to play, football so he's like rooting for The
buccaneers to go out there and kick some ass so
that he doesn't have to play and he could just
do some. Commercials So i'm gonna Take Tampa bay to.

Speaker 2 (01:28:07):
Cover there's a thing about The Teddy bridgewater. Thing he did.

Speaker 3 (01:28:11):
Retire, YEAH i, know he didn't want to be a family,
right and then he.

Speaker 4 (01:28:15):
Came back and he's, like, MAN i gotta go out

atomic dog. Is it's when each of you pick a
underdog against the spread to win outright this. Weekend so
with that being, said we'll start with, You. Martin who's
your atomic dog this?

Speaker 3 (01:30:50):

gonna win On Thanksgiving, Day.

Speaker 2 (01:31:01):

beating The.

Speaker 4 (01:31:21):
Ravens you, DID i.

Speaker 3 (01:31:23):

yeah which will really open up the back half of
THE nfc playoff. Picture this one's a person one one,
here just to bring everybody behind the curtain here At
Fox Sports. RADIO i believe It's Dan bayer puts out
a list of. Predictions, yes, Okay, Now i'm always pennially

(01:32:11):
one of the last people to make my, predictions just
simply because you, KNOW i gotta figure it.

Speaker 2 (01:32:17):
Out.

Speaker 3 (01:32:18):
Now ninety percent of people on this, list by my rough,
count put The New Orleans.

Speaker 2 (01:32:24):
Saints it's the worst team in.

Speaker 4 (01:32:26):
Football, YEAH i THINK i, did, Right, YEAH i think that's.
RIGHT i who'd you put.

Speaker 3 (01:32:32):
The Miami dolphins they play this, Week, Tyler, shuck don't suck,
nice don't let me. Down go in there and beat The,
dolphins who have been enjoying their sliver of success entirely too.
Much this team is a quarterback injury away from being
the worst. Ever they fired at AT gm and thinks

(01:32:53):
everything's all. Right, no this guy wears capriz In. November Capriza.
November Kellen, moore go get, Away go get a win
three and nine SO i can be right on my.

Speaker 2 (01:33:03):
Sheet that's really what it boils down.

Speaker 4 (01:33:04):
TO i don't hate. THAT i really, don't Because miami
is not. Good, no they're really.

Speaker 2 (01:33:09):
Not they're definitely not six and a half points better than.
ANYBODY i.

Speaker 4 (01:33:11):
Don't, yeah, no, no, no that's, crazy that's that's. Ridiculous
but The saints aren't good, either you know WHAT i. Mean,
yeah BUT i. DON'T i don't hate. IT i don't hate.

Speaker 2 (01:33:22):
IT i, mean don't get me.

Right you, Know titans sneakily came, back came back in
the second half against The.

Speaker 2 (01:33:42):

Tomorrow, Yep i'm with that, too would not be.

Speaker 6 (01:33:52):
Shocked atomic, Dog i'm with an Official atomic.

Speaker 2 (01:33:54):
Dog, well it's more THIS.

Speaker 3 (01:33:57):
I have Watched jacksonville make things that should be easy be,
hard be so incredibly hard for like the entirety of
The Trevor lawrence, era this one right here should. Be
you win this, game to go to eight and, four
you really solidify yourself AN afc wild, card if not the.
Division depending on what happens with The colts and the

(01:34:20):
and The texans earlier in the, day, right you could
be right there eight and, four eight and. Four i'm
telling you right, now ain't no way that's. Happening ain't no,
Way ain't no way that's.

Speaker 4 (01:34:32):

Speaker 3 (01:34:47):
Annoying you know what else was annoying watching football? Today
i'm Sure monty found fun in. It And i'm sure
that out of the pile of crap we had to
watch in this football slate, Today i'm, joking and most
of the games pretty, good but, Uh i'm Sure moncey
was able to find three, standouts none of whom will
have played for The universe submission.

(01:35:32):
they play on the radio on sports talk radio is
silly because you could listen to any of the other
billion stations that play, music.

Speaker 4 (01:35:40):
Right but this one spot for.

Speaker 3 (01:35:43):
YOU i find that this song is relatively unknown and

Dad Martin, weiss there's a woman hanging out of the
front seat of the car in a way that, like
there's a woman hanging out of the front seat of
the car in a way THAT i wouldn't expect that
needs to be done.

Speaker 2 (01:39:28):
HERE i have no idea what she's.

Speaker 3 (01:43:27):
Martin wis Wants blans coming to you live from You
Fox Sports Radio studios without further. Ado on a rival,
Week let's get my boy in. Here J D pakel
on Three College Football. Insider you can catch them on
the hard count wherever you download your podcasts or on
YouTube AND, JD i just know that you're sitting back

(01:43:48):
waiting like the rest of. Us On kiff and watch emin.
It they say It's. Saturday they, said we only got
about three hours left Of.

Speaker 2 (01:43:56):
Saturday i'm? Ready are you?

Speaker 10 (01:44:00):
READY i don't know if him as ready As Marty.
Smith they got my guy camped out on. Campus they
cut to him every single window at. Half i'm, Like marty,
Anything he's, like, No I'm i'm still, here running out of,
water running out of. Food But i'm we're still. Waiting
So i'm. Ready not as ready as, him but ready
on the.

Speaker 2 (01:44:18):
Left so how do you? Think just?

Speaker 3 (01:44:20):
QUICKLY i know has been beaten to a dan horse
and it's by the end of the, day hopefully we
find out your final Lane kiffin.

Speaker 2 (01:44:27):
Take where should he?

Speaker 10 (01:44:28):
GO i think he. SHOULD i think he should stay
at Ole. MISS i think he's proven he can win.
THERE i think this year doing it with The division
two quarterback proves. THAT i think the way they have
embraced and empowered him and everything that comes with him
makes me think he should stay at Ole. MISS i
think he will go TO Lsu. Martin this is something

(01:44:50):
that you can't relate. To but for a lot of,
us we've been broken up in our life and whenever that,
happens like in my, experience there's a similar pattern that
happens there where communication kind of dials. Back you, know
you're not really getting much when you ask definitive questions
like that's Been Lane kivin for the PAST i don't

(01:45:11):
know how many, weeks and now there's ay, like hey
can we talk moment seemingly. Happening so unless Unless Lane
kifvin just does the most blank kiffy thing ever and
stays at Ole, miss this to me screams he's going
to be In Baton rouge and imagine that comes out
here post Iron.

Speaker 4 (01:45:26):
Bull So i've asked you about the heisman throughout the,
weeks and you have, SAID i think it's going to
come down to that championship game at the. End so
what do you think is going to be the edge
to put someone over for The? Heisman you, KNOW.

Speaker 10 (01:45:41):
I think it's going to come down to that game In,
Indy iowa Stay. INDIANA i THINK i think it's going
to take a. Moment and it's funny because the heismans
That jay we talked about it before such a A vibes.
AWARD i Think Julian sane has done enough to keep
himself in that room of being A heisman conversation, guy
AND i think if he can have a moment Against

(01:46:02):
indiana With fanana mendoz on the other, SIDELINE i think
that would do. IT i probably also need some good
numbers and be honest to DO i need like two
ninety three hundred ideal three, touchdowns no. PICKS i think
that would too little my, guy, THOUGH i think that
would make him hides and winner and vice versa for
a One Fana.

Speaker 1 (01:46:19):
Mendoza, NOW i.

Speaker 3 (01:46:20):
Watch obviously every, snap but At Michigan Ohio, state the
bacle That michigan put on tape watching, that saying there's
no way to be in The. Heisman he's not even
the best officer player on the team, Anyway, uh talking
about this This Michigan Ohio state, Game Ryan day and
then The buckeyes haven't lost the game now in three

(01:46:42):
hundred and sixty five. Days they go and, really to,
me in the third quarter established that they're not in
the same class with. Us Charon moore and This Michigan
wolverine program right now just dominating the trenches in the third,
quarter in the second half, Especially and you Got, michigan
a team with all the resources in the, world spent

(01:47:03):
all the money on a quarterback who LOOKED i, Mean
Davis warren was better last year And Davis warren is.

Speaker 2 (01:47:09):
Terrible like it's just hard to.

Speaker 3 (01:47:11):
Say so where does a school Like michigan go from?

Speaker 10 (01:47:15):
Here you know this is going to sound like complete,
copium BUT i really believe that this year was such
a transition year From michigan from the hardball way of doing. Things,
NOW ufc With chiff lindsay that all of a, sudden
all in on nil and they go Get Bryce. Underwood
like to, me What i've said since The oklahoma game

(01:47:37):
For michigan is Like Bryce underwood is the. Future everything
that comes with him is the. Future he's just the
first one, there and SO i Expect michigan to be
active in the. PORTAL i expect him to go get
them some wide. Receivers LIKE i also To, martin Like
i'm watching that game and no knock on On. Kuzdaal
i'm watching some of those runs that he has and
comparing them with What Jordan marshall did.

Speaker 3 (01:47:56):
D two first half. Touchdowns there was no explosiveness in
the run, game AND i.

Speaker 10 (01:48:02):
Don't know if it changes the final, score BUT i
think it's a lot. CLOSER i don't know if it
changes the. OUTCOME i don't know if why to say
loses that once just because of how they've, looked but,
LIKE i think you're at least getting a little bit
more movement on the ground of picking up Some, PERSONALLY
i just think it's a different. Game so it's it's
not fair to do the whole hindsights twenty twenty. Things
but my whole point is as as weird as this

(01:48:22):
year feels relative to what's happened At michigan from last
year and then the year before With, Harball LIKE i
really still believe In shrone more than what they're.

Speaker 3 (01:48:31):
Building quickly the first half touchdown To Jeremiah smith was
that a touchdown or touch back just helps solve an
argument here between me And, mancia And i'll let our
have the floor after that touchdown or touch.

Speaker 10 (01:48:41):
Back it is a. TOUCHBACK i had my. Buddy my
buddy texted, me he Goes, man you just call the
game different For Jeremiah, smith Like lebron gets some calls
and like that's not how this works in THE. Nba
and then we're not calling things because You're jeremiah Mad.

Speaker 2 (01:48:55):
Blacks, damn people just let it stand because he's. Cool
it was, like what do we doing? That that's not
what it.

Speaker 4 (01:49:01):
Was it's just when you slow anything down as slow
as you, want you can make it look worse than
it wasn't real time he caught the ball and he
crossed it over and then he but he lost a little.
Bit yes he did turn his back on. Me i'm
gonna kick him in the back in just a. Second.
Uh with this, ever you, know evolving landscape of what
is the playoffs now in college? Football do you see

(01:49:23):
schools that are in the big power conferences maybe trying
to break away and go join an easier conference that
would make it easier to get themselves into the.

Speaker 3 (01:49:34):
Playoffs like if you're if you're in THE, sicc you're
looking at THE Acc.

Speaker 2 (01:49:38):
Championship, yeah you got to be, like you're kidding, me, Right?

Speaker 10 (01:49:42):
Yeah you know WHAT i think is gonna happen IS
i think those big. Conferences it's a fair point you're.
Making it's a very fair question WHAT i think those conferences.
Do those they, say, hey we have all the. Cards
so if we're, gonna if we're gonna do this, playoff
you're going. Forward this is the last year of the
of the twelve team playoff deal, contractually when we go
back to the bargaining, table LIKE, acc y'all might Have

(01:50:03):
duke in the college football playoff at seven and, Five
like y'all need us and that's not. Me and everyone's
gonna be quick to SAY sec. Bias big Ten biaens is, like,
now this is just what the money. Says and SO
i think what's gonna happen here is you're gonna see
THE sc and The big ten say, cool we'll sign
up for the playoff with all of us. Together but
make no, mistake we're getting for spots and y'all are

(01:50:23):
getting to take it or leave. It AND i think
the lots you take, IT i think that'll be the
way that. Goes so you'll see those those respective conferences
have a bit of a power, trip and deservedly.

Speaker 3 (01:50:35):
So so is it just that the money is so
so like great in The big ten AND sec comparatively
to the LIKE i don't understand, Why, uh who's a?

Speaker 2 (01:50:49):
Great who's a?

Speaker 3 (01:50:49):
Good like USC usc is not gonna make the Play
they might make the, Playoff but IF usc was in
the acc for, EXAMPLE i, know just deal with the
geographics those that doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (01:51:00):
Anymore but if.

Speaker 3 (01:51:01):
Us he was in THE, accah they would be it
provided That lincoln was able to you, know get over
flying across the country all the.

Speaker 2 (01:51:08):
TIME i know that's a big deal for. Him but
if if he was able to get, there they would
win that thing and be in the.

Speaker 3 (01:51:13):
PLAYOFF i don't understand why you. Would is it really
that much more beneficial to be Like Penn. State James
franklin has a better shot at making the playoff now
At Virginia tech probably than he did At Penn, state
even though he made the playoff At Penn.

Speaker 2 (01:51:29):
State why not if you.

Speaker 3 (01:51:31):
Were a School why aren't more schools willing to make
that jump to like a lesser.

Speaker 10 (01:51:35):
CONFERENCE i think it's about everything else that comes with
being in the lesser, Conference, like, yes the playoff pass is,
easier but the resources are. Lesser you're always having to
have this discussion with recruits of, well no we're not
in the big ten in THE, sec but rest are
sure you come to our. School we can still get
you to the. LEADER i think just all of the
other like little brother stuff that comes with. It AND

(01:51:56):
i think to what you just, said LIKE i think
to answer your question about the, money LIKE i think
the money is that that big of a difference for
some of these. Schools and so at the end of the,
day like while any given year the playoff path might
be a touch more, workable you're still having this discussion
on Selection sunday if you're you, know at ten and
TWO byu is getting left. Out meanwhile attendant To oklahoma

(01:52:17):
who can't score over twenty points is getting. In it's
a different discussion, entirely BUT i think the common thread
stands of those schools still sort of get the benefit
of the doubt when it comes playoff. Time and, AGAIN
i think that whole thing is going to be remedied
here when they go to sixteen and change the auto
bid structure and all.

Speaker 2 (01:52:34):
That you know WHAT i. THINK i don't understand why
more people don't just listen to. ME i.

Speaker 3 (01:52:39):
WOULD i had just think all figured. OUT i had
just think all figured. Out eighteen playoffs, win you win
The power, five you win your. Conference congratulations auto bit
three at large for, you notre dames and. Such, right but,
na if you want to be a joint a, conference,
pal you know What i'm, saying go ahead and go
win that. Thing and then, look then it all matters

(01:53:00):
if we're not watching two teams in THE pac twelve
eighteen teams in The big. Ten but you know it
is too. Late but by the time we hang, up
this Called Washington state will be in THE. Sec thanks a, Lot, Jayson,
thanks thanks for coming. ON i appreciate your.

Speaker 8 (01:53:13):
Pal appreciate.

Speaker 3 (01:53:15):

Speaker 2 (01:53:38):
Not why? Not you're Gonna you're gonna lose, six Like Old.

Speaker 3 (01:53:41):
Miss the record it was five and six going into,
today one in six in. CONFERENCE i, mean Not Old Mississippi.
State Missippi State's i'm talking About Old. MISS i think
they should stay in THE. Sec Mississippi state maybe want
the consider and you know, what, Cool we'll still play
the egg, ball, right still play the egg? Ball but,
like why CAN'T i Go why CAN'T i go lose

(01:54:04):
three games and still be over? There why DO i
gotta Play, Alabama, Auburn georgia all these teams year in year,
Route I'm Mississippi state Right Stark, vegas you, know slide
me over to THE. ACC i Want Bill belichick on my.
Schedule i'd you opposed To Kirby Smart coming up, next

(01:54:27):
we'll dive back into THE nfl BECAUSE i think that
we have a secret that's about to get. Exposed and
it's been staring us all in the face for the
entirety of the, year and we're just all just afraid
to say it out. Loud you know what after, This
monty AND i we take a stand coming up. Next you,
Know auburn may have Made steve The saga a. Liar

(01:54:51):
steve said The Iron bowl was over because there is
no way That auburn could score over twenty. Points they,
might it's just. Fight it's a tie game. Now alabama
the tenth ra team in the nation nine to, two
six and one in, conference up Against auburn five and,
six one and six in. CONFERENCE Dj dirk and interim

(01:55:12):
head coach For auburn As Hugh freeze was relieved of
his duties to be able to go and get all
eighteen and on the golf course instead of just having
to break them up nine before practice and nine after.
Practice you, know that was a very famous. Thing EVEN
sec media days going into the, Season Hugh freezers asked.

Speaker 2 (01:55:30):
On how much golf he was. Playing it would impact this.

Speaker 3 (01:55:34):
Jam miller down right. Now but, again mans, YE i
was telling you a second. Ago these are the types
of weeks where you ruin a Team alabama with three.

Speaker 4 (01:55:44):
Losses it would be spoiler.

Speaker 3 (01:55:47):
Clear spoiler And auburn playing for, nothing nothing at.

Speaker 2 (01:55:51):
ALL i love, that nothing at. All but.

Speaker 3 (01:55:53):
PROUD i love, that you, Know so that's that it
just shows you, like but this was normally was deserved
for like even teams with like three losses going into
this because it's like they're still, good but they're not
as good as the undefeated.

Speaker 2 (01:56:07):
Teams so this is where you. Are this is the
ninety ninth edition of The Iron. Bowl here a loss
would allow several teams to play for an.

Speaker 4 (01:56:18):
At long lay for an at large bit oh.

Speaker 2 (01:56:20):
So LIKE byu would be. Live so the.

Speaker 4 (01:56:22):
People making these decisions actually Want alabama to win to
make it.

Speaker 2 (01:56:25):
Easier, uh probably because the dirty quiet part. Allowed this
whole thing is A tv show.

Speaker 4 (01:56:32):
In, alabama And alabama they would want the most. People,
yeah so it'd be easier to put them. In but
if they, lose then it's, like, OH i got to
think about.

Speaker 3 (01:56:40):
It, yes that would Be it would opening things up
a lot more for the at large teams that Like
michigan would have been at large.

Speaker 2 (01:56:48):
Selection but, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:56:50):
You're, boy yeah in case you missed At michigan, Lost
yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:56:54):
Blew the idea At oklahoma has going to have an
opportunity to play for a national championship disgust. Me so
J d said something About michigan THAT i want to
get your opinion on because we know you're you have
your time sharing college, football but you'll be buying, soon.

Speaker 2 (01:57:13):
Right, YEAH i told You indiana, good good, place good.

Speaker 4 (01:57:16):
Realism i'm telling YOU i don't THINK i. CAN'T i
THINK i have to airbnb it LIKE i. Can't just
you know What i'm. Saying there's no real. CONNECTION i
think it's just a.

Speaker 2 (01:57:27):
College Football.

Speaker 3 (01:57:28):
Yeah so J d said that this year, is you,
know essentially a retooling year For, michigan a rebuilding year For.

Speaker 2 (01:57:37):
Michigan the idea that they got the nine and three
this year was a.

Speaker 3 (01:57:41):
Win, Sure but in the transfer portal, era when you
got all the resources on the, planet the through the
Invented google went To, michigan we got the. Money damn,
okay we got the, money, right you got the. Resources
is that an Ex is that an excuse or an
explanation because.

Speaker 2 (01:58:05):
Part of me feels that that is an.

Speaker 3 (01:58:07):
Excuse like to, me last, year Starting Davis warren at
quarterback is unacceptable and that you have all the resources
you have to be able to get a quarterback you
like you should not have a. Player to, me that
is like substandard unless you have a ton of injuries
because you have all the.

Speaker 4 (01:58:27):
Resources remember when we started the show AND i was,
like are is it fair to hold a coach accountable
with the constant revolving door in and? Out like how
quick when you like For Sharon moore or like these
new coaches, right and you were, like of, course of.
COURSE i feel like this is kind of the same
thing you're. Saying is it an excuse or an explanation

(01:58:48):
when you have all this money and all this access
already as it. IS i think you're seeing it from
the perspective of the, fan from being A michigan fan
that to, you what were you talking. About we shouldn't
we should have a better record than. This we should
have the team that we want because we have the
resources for. It you're trying to figure out why?

Speaker 2 (01:59:05):
Not, yeah, hello nailed?

Speaker 4 (01:59:10):
It, Yeah because you're looking at it from the perspective
of being A michigan.

Speaker 3 (01:59:14):
Fan you Got, seriously you got some of the Most
you got the second most, money if not the most
money in The big.

Speaker 2 (01:59:19):
Ten the guy who been At google went To, michigan buy,
receiver buy a, quarterback
