Speaker 1 (00:01):
You don't listening to Fox Sports.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (00:04):
And we're broadcasting live from the Fox Sports Radio studios
on a Fox Sports Football Saturday.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Which is fortunate for us because you know what, we're
both here chilling, able, bodied and willing and happy to
go ahead and do this.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
However, the fact that I just said it's a Fox
Sports Football Saturday devastating news.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
To the state of Pennsylvania. Devastating for a second week
in a row.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
I guess I just the first one. You kind of
let it slide a little.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Bit, because that was the thing right before all the
memes said James Franklin can't win big games. Then just
seven days later, James said, you know what, huh, I'll
lose a little one.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Try me.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Then, you know what, honestly committed the most grave sin
you could commit in the Big Ten, losing a game
you're supposed to win to Northwestern.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
Absolutely, I mean the last two weeks you were supposed
to win. And that was the whole thing right here.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
But is new here, clearly, But what has UCLA done?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Nothing?

Speaker 5 (01:08):
No reason that penn State, I mean, weren't they like
almost twenty point favorites and not twenty point favorites in
that one. You should have won the last two weeks,
no questions asked, and that was always a saving grace
for James Franklin.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
You beat the teams you're supposed to.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
You lose against the tough teams, and you don't win
against teams that are ranked.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Sure, but at least you beat the teams you're supposed to.
So what is it now?

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Well, now what it is is Drew Allers out for
the season. That's being carted off. I'm not sure what
his injury is, but we've already had the reports that
he will be done for the backup quarterback from last year,
he was undefeated up until he threw an interception to
end the game for Missouri. Bo Babulah was the backup
at Penn State. So I'm not sure where they go

(01:49):
from here, but this is what I do think they go.
I think they go head coach hunting. I think that
James Franklin.

Speaker 6 (01:57):
There.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
I don't think there's any coming back from this. I
don't think there's any coming back from this. Excuse me,
but I really don't like you to the point your
your your cardinal sin was already not being able to
win the big game, and this is not the NFL,
and that it is closer to the NFL now than

(02:20):
it has ever been, and that one loss doesn't eliminate
you from the playoffs. Two losses may not eliminate you
from the playoffs. Three losses, and when you lose to
teams that combined have won less than five games. No,
I know this is true. UCLA had won none and

(02:42):
there's only been five weeks.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
So when you lose the two teams that have won
less than five combined games, right, I don't care how.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Good UCLA looked this weekend because Penn State at this
point was UCLA's get right spot.

Speaker 7 (02:57):
Right.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
That's like, that's the man, we got them on the schedule, right,
warm it up.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
I legitimately think at a place like Penn State, with
the resources that Penn State has fifty million dollars, there's
a lot of money to tell somebody, we'd rather not
you work for us anymore.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
I don't know how you can continue on this path.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
You know, I hate agreeing with you, not because I
don't want to agree with you, but I don't like
quickly jumping to conclusions of like, you know, fire this man,
or get rid of this man, I don't like to
jump on that, but I'm jumping on that because these
losses have been bad.

Speaker 8 (03:36):
And you can have like a good loss where you
put up a fight, but in reality you have embarrassed
your fan base and your school in the way you've
played the last three weeks.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
In today's game, Penn.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
State committed six penalties for seventy one yards in the
first half.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
If that doesn't tell you that they are spiraling.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
And they can't get out of their own way, then
I don't know what else to tell you. It seems
like you're only option is kind of to wash your
hands of this situation and start fresh, especially without having
drew Aller the rest of the season.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
What are we fighting for? You may as well get
rid of it and start fresh. Because I am with you, Martin,
I don't know how you come out of this.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
I don't know how you pick your head up and
come back out next week.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
And be like, yeah, Okay, we're good, We've got this.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Well, there is a suggestion that I would have in it.
You know, it just may be time to go ahead
and contact your travel agent. That's a stupid get on
Google flight search it up because Penn State you are
not going to the college football playoffs, might not.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Win four more games this year, James Franklin, You'll be
home for Christmas, buddy.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
And you know what, James Franklin, just let it go,
Like at this point, even what do you want to prove?
At this point, you have such a megal hole to
get out of. To change people's.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Minds of their opinion of you, take a step. Take
a step. You can come back in a couple of years.
Take a step.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
And I was so I actually read a few articles
about this, like because I do think that James Franklin
would get another job.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Agree, yes, somebody would give them a chance.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
But it's fascinating, especially in a day where you see
Kurt Signetti in Indiana come in.

Speaker 5 (05:21):
Things around, well, I mean to say turn things right, because.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
It's like Indiana football was never around, Like like that's
what Lincoln Riley is attempting to do at USC This
is a big Saturday for them, going against the Michigan team,
a big perennial, our historic big ten power coming into LA.
This is a bit like.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
If you're going to complain about flying to Piscataway, New
Jersey or West left Head, Indiana, you better beat them
when they come to your spot, right, because the travel
works both ways. Last time I got on a plane,
I had a return flight, you know, so so that
works both ways.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
I say it's a big win for them, But you
see signetti coming in Indiana. Well, I said Indiana.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Didn't matter in the grand scheme of the Big Ten.
Those are games that, like I was when I was
at Michigan, was the worst time in Michigan football history.
But those are games that Michigan, Penn State, and Ohio State.
You can't lose those, right, Like, like I'm sorry, you
can't lose to Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
You can't lose those. You gotta win the rest of them.
Do you know what I'm saying?

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Like it's not losing is not even a considerable opinion
to some of these. That's why I say that the
worst thing you can do is lose to Northwestern when
you're supposed to be a good team.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Right, that is reserved for the purdues of the world.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Okay, So I just watching Penny State today and seeing
Drew Aller walk off that or get carded off that field.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
It's a there, no, no, no.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
The team absolutely sorry.

Speaker 5 (06:57):
Le't me to cut you off the team we saw
last year in the college football playoff if it's not
this scene anymore.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
And I was just about to say to that point,
you saw two colleps football playoff teams in Texas and
Penn State, both of them one and two in a nation,
So like, everybody's super high up on him, and I'm
still as loud as I was on arch Manning as
I was at fourteen fifty five left week one. When
I saw him skip that pass, I was like, I
don't care what you're doing now, I don't care who
he's waving goodbye to.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
But you look up, Texas is four and two.

Speaker 9 (07:23):
Somehow arch Manning has played.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
I mean, listen, I get.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
It because him today they didn't win because of him.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
Oh I get no. I'm saying this. It's like saying
the winter is warmer in Alaska. Arch Manning played better,
but it's still very cold. Like you know what I'm saying,
I'm still gonna wear a coat. He was better than
he was before good He went from negative twenty five
to you know, to to you know, maybe.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
A five degrees. He didn't throw an interception, he didn't
throw it is the absence of bad, which is what
we're gonna call good for arch Manning at this stage.
Which is good for arch Manning at the stage.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
I say this tongue in cheek, but legitimately the kid
through six games, or through at least the first three games,
look like legitimately you're not you don't belong here.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Now there's more of.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
A you belong here, but to show like, oh, you
belong here, but you're a little bit of a crack.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
Yeah, we release your leash a little bit.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
But if I'm texts, I'm foreign too. At my quarterback's
getting better. I just beat the sixth r eight team
in the nation. I'm sitting back with my feet up.
Light me up a cigarette.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
I'm feeling good.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
I agree, right absolutely, there's no reason to not feel
like that. You just got bumped out of the top
twenty five, and now you just took down a top
six opponent.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
Come on, what are you not celebrating? And you won
in spite of arch Manny, And it just.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Goes to show you how, especially in this era generation
the college football, exactly like it shows you just if
you can come back together and you can reel it
back in because sure, it seems to me based off
the results of the last two weeks that UCLA is

(08:59):
much better than they were under the previous leadership.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
All of those guys were still there though.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Jerry new Hives has been on the roster on the
coaching staff for like six years, right, so he was
still there, like Tim Skipper was still there. They didn't
find these in Jeff's Saturday Am off of you know
Big ten Network, the equivalent to them, come have coach
the team. All these guys were there, so they were
probably better. Okay, you get the you know, the fired

(09:25):
coach bounce, right.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
You know the little let's just go out here and
get old jobs are on stake, Northwestern bro this right here,
And when you have as much money as Penn State does,
Big ten just signed a like some billion dollar deal,
Like you got all this money.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
I get that fifty million dollars is expensive today, but
it'll be less expensive tomorrow because you already paid the bill.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
You can start paying it back now. But what you're
not gonna lose out on MONTSI.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
He might lose on a fifty million dollars, but you're
not gonna lose on out on that future recruiting class
that may not want to come there because you think
the coach is gonna get fired all the you know
what I'm saying, Nil those transfers that may want to
come there because they find out the coach is going
to get fired.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
And then you hired the right guy.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Signetti first year in Indiana had like double digit high
level transfers from his old school James Madison. Took them
to the Big Ten and were they one of the
better teams in the Big Ten, Absolutely better teams in
the nation. No got smoked in the playoff, but you
know what that did, built the foundation.

Speaker 5 (10:27):
Right, Salvage what you can in this situation because it,
believe it or not, it can get worse.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
And I think that's the whole point of it for
Penn State.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
Salvage which you can, how you can, because this is
not the worst.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
That can be for you. It seems like it. It's
real close, it's real close, but it can't go. Or
salvage what you can.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Just off the top of my head, you got Michael Parsons,
Tyler Warren, like Penn State has put out some of
the more impact, pactful players. You know what I'm saying,
and last like they've all been there under James Franklin.

(11:07):
It's like pants, it's like combine. You you know what
I'm saying. It's like you know, seriously, that was the argument.
Oh Loveland versus Warren. Oh you know, Loveland's a winner.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
Let me tell you Warren has been the winner right
sitting down.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Loveland just can't get off the bench, you know. Yeah,
I always remember the championship though, Buddy appreciate it. So
Thursday night, take a hop in the rear.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
View real quick. Thursday night.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Uh, Brian Dable almost cries as he sees Jackson dark
and you know the feelings in New York. I want
to I want to get your general vibe.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
How do you feel about? Uh?

Speaker 3 (11:51):
The Blues Brothers is too easy of a name. I've
been workshopping this. I'm not sure exactly what to do,
but those two people need Dart and scatter Bow needs something.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Something sort of of a tandem nickname.

Speaker 7 (12:04):
Right.

Speaker 5 (12:05):
Yeah, I'm with you because I think the vibes are
high in New York. And it's not that it's not
easy to have the high vibes in New York. They
get excited easily because the giants haven't done much, so
I understand that, but I'm just me, Martin. I'm so
mad because, yes, last week when you were in here,
I was like, Yo, I'm riding the Jackson Dart high.
I think the Giants are gonna go and beat the Saints.

(12:28):
So then I look like the stupid one.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
And this weekend show you don't get another chance until
next weekend. And then they played a game and then
they put again.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
And then you beat the Eagles. You guys, you made
me look real stupid. But then at the same how
how are you gonna do? Because I think Jackson Dart
does look good? Now?

Speaker 5 (12:45):
Could this be this whole like the rookie that you know,
he's extending the play with his legs, but he looks
good when he's throwing the ball too. He's throwing some
unintended darts out there, you know what I'm saying. But
he keeps extending the plays with his legs, and I
just I don't know if I'm getting too excited when
in reality is because there is no tape on him there,
we don't know what to expect.

Speaker 4 (13:05):
So the teams are figuring out how to play.

Speaker 5 (13:08):
Defense against him because they just don't know, but I
believe I was on the hype two weeks ago and
now I'm back on it.

Speaker 4 (13:13):
I was annoyed. I'm back on it all right.

Speaker 9 (13:15):
You guys heard that right, never wrong, just early Monster,
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
That's my producer mons on the hype.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
I'm on it.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
I want it now?

Speaker 3 (13:25):
Is she on the hype enough to think that they
can do the impossible?

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Good to that in just a minute.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
Martin weis Monster Belanos Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports Football Saturday.

Martin Weiss on Twitter is my coas and she is
at Moncey on social media.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
That's right, you join the conversation. Should you choose to,
you know, somebody getting in ahead of it. Wow, Giant
Kitty says LeVar is not allowed to phone in sick
on Monday, walks off and you carry a big stick.
You know. I know LeVar. He's not afraid of a challenge.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
He's not afraid of a child feeling. I wonder how
he is feeling.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
Though, No sick, because that's him.

Speaker 4 (14:57):
Let's not send him a text.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
There was a quick just a quick aside Urban Meyer
and mark Ingram on Big New Kickoff. These guys really
care like they care like Hey, I spoke to Overmyer
one time in life when I told him, man and
I went to Michigan and I was grew up in Louisiana.
Uh so you've been coaching the my least favorite teams.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Of my forever. Right. He looked at me in my face,
he looked at me dead in my.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Face and said, yeah, we had some real battles in
the swamp did not mention the fact that I said
I was in Michigan a lump at all. Didn't mention
it one bit. So you and I are both in
relationships with other people, but I'm both in relationships that
are you know, loving and caring and healthy. So I

(15:44):
think what's happening on the Giant sidelines a little toxic.
Are we sure Jackson Dart wants this love from Brian?

Speaker 6 (15:51):
Like?

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Are we sure that Jackson's dark? Right?

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Are we sure that Jackson Dart wants this love out
of Brian dave Ball?

Speaker 2 (15:56):
I'm joking what.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
Happened to Daniel Jones two?

Speaker 6 (16:00):
Like?

Speaker 4 (16:00):
There's so much to it, right right?

Speaker 2 (16:02):
I saw you how you did the last?

Speaker 4 (16:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
But watching Brian dave Ball lose his literal mind at
the mere idea that the guy who he had named
the starter just five weeks ago potentially would ever step
on the field again. It's just five weeks ago, it
made me think Mons, because that is a man, that

(16:27):
is a man reeking of desperation, That is a man
who understands the scenario at hand.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
If I don't get this one right, it's gone forever.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
And this made me think MONSI the Eagles and his
ugly back and forth there four and one feels like
one in four. The Giants got not one but two.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Great White hope that rookie. I'm just who do you think,
because we're past a quarter pool now, who do you
think wins the NFGEST.

Speaker 5 (16:57):
That's still to me too much of an early question
because because I don't trust any of these teams in
the NFC East, understandably so. Also it's the division that
has the most parody, right twenty what plus years with
a different divisional winner every year, and that's like watching
the Eagles and the Giants. I'm glad you kind of
presented that picture because it was two completely opposite teams

(17:18):
divisional opponents, which is always the worst. But the Giants
are all on vibes right now, which we even saw
during the preseason. The vibes have been present since the preseason.
You cannot blame Brian Dabele for his reaction. He put
in Russell Wilson for two seconds and he got booed,
the loudest booze he's probably heard in a hot second for.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
The record, first and I think probably last time I
ever feel bad for us. It was actually felt that.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
It was so instantly gets booed.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
He knows that his you know, career, his coaching career,
at least with the Giants, is on the line. We've
talked about how much his future depends on how Daniel
Jones is doing with the Colts, and.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
Here he is.

Speaker 5 (17:59):
Maybe they have flu a quarterback of the future in
Jackson Dark. And then you have the Eagles, where the
vibes are pillow, where everyone seems to kind of be
on a separate page. You've got wide receivers that are.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Mad Aj Brown's the one on a separate page because
he's reading his book.

Speaker 5 (18:18):
That's what as I'm saying, He's on his own separate book, on.

Speaker 4 (18:21):
His own page.

Speaker 5 (18:22):
You've got a dysfunctional team that we I mean, it's
very hard to repeat and we all know that.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
But a team that I think we all thought was
gonna come.

Speaker 5 (18:31):
Out looking a little bit better in the Philadelphia Eagles,
but they haven't.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
And it's not that Jalen Hurts doesn't look good.

Speaker 5 (18:37):
Jalen Hurts is doing what he is asked of, whether
it's running the ball or throwing the ball.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
He's doing what he's asked of. But there is a
dysfunction that is clear as they when it comes to Philadelphia.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
And I think that when you sit back and I
am far from the advanced stat.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
Nerd yeah right, Oh, I hate advanced.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
I beat those kids up the Yeah, but.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
Did you put them in a locker?

Speaker 3 (19:02):
Listen, there's something really to the idea that Jandler Hurts
does not throw the ball over in the middle of.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
The no answer, no answer about putting people in long.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
On national radio.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
I'm not trying to complete the fifth Yeah's gracious, you
know the guys snitches anyway. Now, watching this through five weeks,
Ian disagrees with me so much about this, like I could.
This is why I know our producer, Ian really disagrees
with me. He stops talking. He just shakes his head.
He just shakes his head like in disgust. I can't

(19:31):
believe I'm actually helping put this together. I think the
Dallas Cowboy is gonna win the East.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
Okay, So I don't think that's like a crazy take.
I really don't because of what we've seen in this division.
But why right now, in week six do you give
them the edge? Because I don't think they're far right
for you. I feel like you're just putting them in
the front right now to win.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
I'm looking, it's a function of everybody else and then Dallas, right,
because here's the thing.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Dallas defense has been horrible. I get it. Yeah, they
traded Michael Parsions. Oh my god, what was me? What
could they possibly do? Oh no, oh no, oh no.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
The team that they played, I know it was a
week of football they had to buy. But the towns
sign and the Dallas Cowboys went out.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
You know what they did. They scored forty points. You
know what they did? Man? Sad? They tie?

Speaker 3 (20:19):
You know what, they tied against the Green Bay Packers
and that same Michael Parson.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
I get it. The Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Since two there's been the Cowboys in all their games
thus far this season have had over three hundred and
seventy five yards of total offense. They also have given
up over three hundred and seventy five yards of total defense.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
There's only been four teams to do that in NFL history.
I had them all.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
One of them was the twenty fifteen Saints, who had
literally steevesdag no Low calling the worst defense of all time.
Look it up, and they finished seventy nine. Kansas City
was one of them. The twenty twenty Chiefs went to
the went to the Wildcar Game. Two of these teams
made the playoffs, right the Chiefs and then forget the
other one. But two of these teams made the playoffs.
And the reason I say all this the reason why

(21:03):
I think this is the case. I think Dallas's defensive
situation defensive problems is much more to do with the
fact that Matt Eberflush came in and is their defensive
coordinator to switch them from a zone to man, and
that I think is taking some time to adjust, especially
when you have guys like Trayvon Diggs and Dron Bland

(21:26):
who were both really really good man corners like Duran
Bland got Defensive Player of the Year votes.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
I have it, y'all will remind you, right and and.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Trayvon Diggs got his second bag and is one, so like,
these guys know how to play.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
The Marveon Overshown will be back in.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
About two or three weeks. I think he'll be back,
and he I think is a real game wrecker.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
But ultimately, Moncie, I think simply because their offense is
so damn good, yeah, that they could score forty on
anybody even if your team.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
Lets if your defense lets them score thirty seven.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
You know what that sounds like to me? Every week?

Speaker 4 (22:00):
Yeah, you're you're not wrong on that.

Speaker 5 (22:03):
And you know, the Cowboys have a slightly like I
was just skimming their schedule for the rest of the
week or the rest.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Of the season.

Speaker 5 (22:08):
Compared to the Commanders. The Cowboys have a few easier
games than the Commanders, and so I because to me,
the other team that can win this division is the Commanders.
Losing to the Falcons with Marcus Mariota is not a
true testament of what the Commanders can do with Jaden Daniels.
I think it's gonna be between them two. And obviously,
like I know we're dismissing the Eagles, but like, can

(22:28):
they figure it out? I know that they replace both
of their coordinators and that is a big part of it.
Their rush game has been no bueno. Has Saquon Barkley
done anything?

Speaker 6 (22:37):
No.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
My fantasy team has told me, like I you know
what I'm saying, Like, but but can they turn it around?

Speaker 5 (22:42):
Because right now, there's no reason to dismiss really the Eagles,
aside from where are seeing the bad vibes and a
dysfunctional operation, in my opinion, can they fix it?

Speaker 4 (22:52):
I don't know, but it seems like something is not
working there.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
So I got the list now of the four teams
that I just butchered Tromsley, the twenty twenty Raiders, they
finished eight to eight. Right, John Gruden's their head coach.
You may remember this year was made famous by John
Gruden beating Kansas City and doing laps in the bust
around Arrowhead. Right, they fell down the stretch. Twenty eighteen
Chiefs won the division twelve and four, lost in the

(23:19):
ANFC championship games to Tom Brady and the Patriots. Right,
that was my homes first season as a starter. Twenty
fifteen Saints Again, that's seven and nine. That's Sean Payton,
Steve Spagnolo coordinated. By points allowed and by yards aloud.
The worst defense in NFL history.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
I'll have you remember this, Okay, So I get it,
like the Cowboys defense is bad, it is not literally
the worst since football has started. Okay.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
And then the twenty thirteen Eagles finished ten and six.
They finished and win the division. So I get that
the Cowboys defense is bad, but their offense is so
prolific without Cede Lamb.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
For the majority of this season at this point that
I look at the way the Eagles foot the ball,
I look at the way the Giants quarterback is addicted
to the blue tent, and I look at the way
that the Commanders are very very old. Right now on
October eleventh, give me the Boys.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
I mean, you know, you.

Speaker 5 (24:19):
Make really good points because out of all of those teams,
the Cowboys offense is the one that has moved me
the most. And you're surprised about that because he said
no CD Lamb and also like you weren't expecting Dak
Prescott and Shotenheimer to come out and expose something positive
out of the Cowboys offense, but they really have.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
Well, the rest of the teams are like, yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
You you've scored, but not the way it seems like.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
The ease of the Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
So far absolutely Dak to me, maybe.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
You convince me right now at.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
A very very high level, MAC playing at a very
very high level, I will say this, I wonder if
Steve Disheger agrees with me. Here, very very very big
regular season game for the four and one USC Trojans
and four and one Michigan Wolverines. It is a show
battle between me and our producer Ian Roddy Steve, Who's

(25:11):
is this a bigger game for Lincoln Riley to you?
To me, this is like a chance for Lincoln to
really show something.

Speaker 12 (25:16):
Absolutely it is because look at all the close games
he has lost since they have joined this conference. I'm
expecting this to be a close game in the second
half at home against Michigan tonight. Yeah, show something. This
is national TV. This is getting Michigan at home. This
is not USC Michigan at the Rose Bowl. Quite oddly,
it is still odd to see those two against each

(25:37):
other in the LA Coliseum. But I welcome some of
these matchups were getting with the teams that have moved
into the Big ten. We got a top ten matchup
of Indiana at Oregon today that was great.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
It was a blast turned out.

Speaker 12 (25:49):
The Penn State game was pretty good at UCLA, very
entertaining last weekend. In fact, UCLA dominated at Michigan State today.
But we got USC leading at home early second quarter
seven to nothing against the fifteenth ranked Wolverines. Jade Mayama
sc quarterback eleven to fourteen, one hundred and twenty seven
yards and a touchdown. So far, Auburn at home is

(26:09):
leading Number ten Georgia ten to nothing early in the
second and by the way, we've got plenty of other
games to go. Some of them are like South Carolina
well extra point pending South Carolina seven to three early
at number eleven LSU. They're in the final minute of
the first quarter BYU ranked eighteenth and just scored again
extra pointal make it fourteen nothing at Arizona late.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
In the first quarter. That's Arnie's Arizona Wildcat. When we
talk about.

Speaker 12 (26:37):
Arizona basketball, you know, we get the that's what he
always but Arizona football more like that. Arizona States at
Utah in the late game, by the way, ten to
fifteen Eastern time. Also in progress, Fox TV has number
nine Texas Tech leading at home twenty one nothing over
Kansas in the second and late second quarter. At number
five Texas A and M, it's the Aggies twenty one

(26:58):
fourteen up Florida. Earlier, we had that top ten matchup
at Oregon and it went to the Indiana Hoosiers. They
beat a top five opponent on the road first time,
thirty to twenty the final. That game was tied with
under seven minutes left early in the day on Fox TV.
Number one Ohio State a winner at seventeenth ranked Illinois
thirty four to sixteen fourth fourth fourth ranked Old miss

(27:19):
at home survived to beat Washington State twenty four to
twenty one. In Dallas, Texas beat rival Oklahoma, which was
ranked sixth this week, twenty three to six. Longhorns were
down six to nothing late in the first half. Alabama
won its top twenty matchup at Missouri twenty seven to
twenty four, wins for Tennessee and Georgia Tech wins for
Notre Dame and Colorado, which beat number twenty two Iowa

(27:42):
State twenty four to seventeen, and Pitt won at number
twenty five Florida State thirty four thirty one seminoles oh
and three in the ACC also in progress, Iowa late
first half leads twenty to nothing at Wisconsin. Commander's wide
receiver Deebo Samuel missed another practice toe is bruised heel.
Washington wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown are each

(28:04):
out again this weekend. Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney out
Monday with a hamstring injury. Great start to the NL
Division series It's Game five of the best of five tonight,
bottom of the second, Brewers hosting the Cubs. The game
is tied one to one. Winner goes to the NLCS,
which starts Monday night against the Dodgers. We don't know
the site for it yet. It depends on if the

(28:24):
top seeded Brewers advance and then get to host to
start that series. But oddly, in a winner take all game,
it's an all bullpen game for each side. It was openers,
that is Drew Promerantz giving up a run of the
first inning, a home run to William Contreras and Pomerants
of the Cubs had retired twenty five straight batters until

(28:45):
that long Bowl, but the Cubs answered with a second
inning home run from Saya Suzuki. The Cubs this year
answered back in over a third of the innings right
after their opponents scored. This season, that was number two
in all of Major League Baseball. So the kid Chick
a bit Vick Mazerowski, the fireballer, comes in to start
the second ending quickly gives up the long ball.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
So it's one one at Milwaukee.

Speaker 12 (29:06):
Cubs and Brewers, bottom of the second.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
Back to you, what a day.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
Thanks Steve, I'm talking about a day. We saw something
happened today that hadn't happened for forty six times in
a row.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
Wait a second.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
For the best pregame show every weekend, be sure to
tune into Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by

on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Before today, Moncie, Indiana had lost forty six in a.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
Row against top five opponents in the ap forty six.

Speaker 5 (29:59):
He's yelling at at our producer Ian through the glass,
make sure you hear it.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
That's why he's yelling. He wants to make sure you
hear it.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
Forty six? How many years that is?

Speaker 4 (30:08):
Forty six?

Speaker 3 (30:09):
Know they probably played more than I mean, at minimum
for all that's top five opponents. Maybe they played like
a Michigan in the house. They were both in the
top five and one time.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
But either way, either way a long time.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
Like I'm willing to say, without any pre dial pre broadband,
dial up internet, was the last time probably that Indiana
beat a top five opponent. In fact, they've done it
twice in program history.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
Good for them.

Speaker 3 (30:41):
So like last year when Indiana made the playoffs, I
was like, this is where they're gonna say they've gone
too far.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
It's like the Boise's and all that, We're okay with it.
It's like, get it the little guy, right, the little
guy that's supposed to be a big guy. It's not real.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
They went into Oregon today and pounded them around h
and Dante mor sacked six times through interceptions.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
This is a guy who you name?

Speaker 3 (31:12):
It was chaying, oh QB won one, right, And I'm
not saying that Dante Moore is not. What I'm saying
is Indiana is real. And I think they were real,
Like they are really a top like in the class,
at the top of the Big ten.

Speaker 5 (31:26):
I don't disagree seeing them play against Oregon, you were
just kind of like you want to wait for moments
to see how are you going to react when something
bad happens. For example, Fernando Mendoza throwing that interception in
the fourth quarter. Oh yeah, how is Indiana going to
respond to that? And they did? No questions asked. Their
defense was suffocating. Today it seems like they are strong

(31:47):
in all aspects of the game, and Kurt Signetti is
probably just like has.

Speaker 4 (31:52):
Them all on a high of like, guys, we can
do this.

Speaker 5 (31:55):
We came into enemy territory and one a game that
no one was expecting us to win.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
Nobody keep in mind you remind me of the interception
that was a pick six.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
That was a pick six in the Oregon.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
With all of their offensive weapons, yes, accounted for thirteen
points in this game, right, the defense scored a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
Yep, thirteen points. Mind you.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
Indiana held Iowa to fifteen points last week.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
This is a like I'm not saying that I was good,
but what I'm saying at the end it beat. I mean,
I like, this team is really really good.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
In year two of Kurt Signetti, a year two of
him building a program, he came in. He was brashed,
he was loud and right now, like if this is
the fairy tale for all the nil for all the
transfer portal teams like Perdue in Northwestern, all these teams
are looking up saying, why can't we be like this?
You know what I'm saying, And part of it is

(32:56):
because you got that guy.

Speaker 4 (32:57):
Absolutely.

Speaker 9 (32:58):
You guys want to know what's extra impressed about Indiana's turnaround.
I guess you know you said it's not really turn
around when they were never good to begin with in
the past. But but what's so impressive about Kurt Signetti
is he came over from James Madison. Like you guys
talked about, this is his second second year at Indiana.
A lot of the guys playing for Indiana, a lot
of their best players, most of them actually are guys
who came with Signetti from James Madison. So these are

(33:20):
guys who were not really recruited at a high school.
They're all like zero star recruits. Mikhael Kamara is one
of them. D'Angelo Pond's their corner. Like they have guys
on that defense who Signetti coached up. These aren't guys
who were highly recruited at all. So that's what's so
impressive is they made the playoffs in his first year
coaching there, and they were guys that he brought over
from James Madison.

Speaker 5 (33:40):
He has built a culture there in a short amount
of time when you hear about Dabo Sweeney not ever
wanting to dive into the transfer portal. And here is
Kurt Signetti, like you just said, bringing players that nobody
had their eye on. But he's created something when nobody
was expecting it. I you told me, remember like a
couple of weeks ago, I know you don't have a

(34:00):
football team.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
You should Indiana, Mike.

Speaker 5 (34:03):
He literally said this to me a few weeks ago,
and he were like, and we were watching for Nando Mendoza,
you know, kick ass and like his brother playing. And
you literally said this to me a few weeks ago,
like you know, Indiana might be the team.

Speaker 4 (34:13):
That you start following.

Speaker 5 (34:15):
And you were like, Kurt Signetty, he's your type of coach,
you would like him, said and so I have kind
of doven into this. And I watching today's game, I
was like, Martin was onto something.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
Martin was onto some listen broken clock theory. Every so
often the Brewers on the phone right now to the bullpen.
Steve deche is a bullpen game, end of the second inning,
one to one right now, And uh, you know my
hotest take. We'll do this later, I promise.

Speaker 3 (34:44):
I think if baseball was invented today, everybody would do
bullpen games every game. I don't think there'd be a
such thing as a starting pitcher. I'll explain that at
the top of next time. During mb postseason. Strass made
History is the first brand ever on helmets work where
built to perform smart pocket design, real comfort and durability
from grit to glory. Grew up today at Strass dot Com.

(35:06):
At Strass dot Com one to one going into the
third inning for the Bowers and the Cups.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
Don't look now, Moncey, don't look. Don't look now, Moncey.
But Auburn No, Oh, in to in conference, playing right now?

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Oh went to in Carbon's playing up right now on
Georgia ten to nothing with the ball driving, Oh, kurb
oh Kirby. Oh. I will say this.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
You want to talk about a coach, I'd rather have
the James Franklin Kirby smart, very smart. He qualifies Martin
Wise here with Monty Blans on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (35:49):
This is all Penn State's fault because teams are watching
Penn State do what they're doing, and they're.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
Like, look at us, we can go and just dominate
a team like Penn State, Everyone's beatable. This is all
Penn States the offense Alldate's.

Speaker 9 (36:02):
Fault, giving all these small teams hope.

Speaker 4 (36:04):
Literally literally making it so anyone is beatable. This is
all the giants in the Eagles fault.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Speaking of giving teams hope and the giants they have
as as one of the Twitter users, his name, yes,
Mark cola Vecchio.

Speaker 5 (36:19):
I want to say, if if I butcher that but
great suggestion on a nickname for Dart and Scataboo.

Speaker 4 (36:26):
Ready, can I get it a little, a little little
saying all right, Army and Hammer love that.

Speaker 9 (36:36):
Wow, Army, that's really good.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
So good, Mark, I need you to go put that.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
I don't know, like.

Speaker 4 (36:45):
Copyrighted. That's what I'm trying to say. Mark, that was brilliant.
Thank you for the suggestion. Arm and Hammer.

Speaker 9 (36:51):
No, no, that was our idea.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
But was it good enough?

Speaker 6 (36:55):
Now?

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Mark, we got for Jackson Dark to win either or
Let's do that right now?

Speaker 9 (37:03):
All right, Yeah, we're gonna play a game of either
or here. Today's featuring Drake May just coming off a
big win over the Buffalo Bills on the road. So uh,
he's a little bit of a coming out party for
Drake May.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
So I'm asking you, guys Thursday night, back to backs
for a young quarterbacks.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
Yees.

Speaker 9 (37:18):
So I'm gonna ask you, guys, would you rather have
Drake may or? Said quarterback? So let's start with this, MANCI,
would you rather have Drake May or bow Knicks?

Speaker 2 (37:29):
Man?

Speaker 5 (37:29):
You know, if you would have asked me this week one,
I would be like bow Knicks, no questions asked.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Now it's week six.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
Though, now it's week.

Speaker 5 (37:37):
Six, I know you got me questioning because I have
not seen bo nix b as effective offensively with the
Denver Broncos this year.

Speaker 4 (37:46):
I'm gonna take Drake May.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
Okay, take Bow or taking Bow?

Speaker 3 (37:51):
I think lower Drake May as the highest shilling Bow
as a lower floor.

Speaker 9 (37:55):
That's fair, sure?

Speaker 4 (37:56):
Sure?

Speaker 2 (37:56):
All right?

Speaker 9 (37:57):
Next up Drake May or Caleb Williams. All so from
that draft class?

Speaker 4 (38:01):
Go ahead? Aren't you going this one first?

Speaker 3 (38:03):
I'm going with the I think the Bears that made
the right decision. I'll go with Kayleb Williams too.

Speaker 4 (38:08):
Yeah, it's I'm not out on Kayleb Williams at all.
I see it. There's moments where you're like, I can
see why they picked him. I'm gonna take Killa Williams.

Speaker 9 (38:15):
Okay, sticking with the same draft class, Drake May or
Jaden Daniels.

Speaker 5 (38:20):
I'm gonna take Jayden Daniels, and I think that's so
far out of the three you've given me my I'm
comfortably taking Jayden Daniels.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
Makes my stomach at a bit. I'm going with Drake May.

Speaker 3 (38:32):
I was worried about Jaydeen daniels durability coming into the league,
and he's already missed for four starts in two years.

Speaker 9 (38:41):
All right, Next up, Drake may or Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 4 (38:47):
I'm taking Jalen Hurts. That Jalen Hurts, Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
If Drake May was a quarterback of the Eagles, there'd
be no offensive problems.

Speaker 9 (38:57):
So you're taking Drake May.

Speaker 5 (38:58):
Oh yeah, no, No, that's crazy, you guys, That's a
crazy I.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
Have seen Drake May throw over the middle of the
field before. I'll just say that.

Speaker 5 (39:09):
Yeah, let's see what a year what we're looking at
when it comes to Drake May.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 9 (39:13):
Okay, Okay, moncie, how about Drake May or Trevor Lawrence, y'all.
I don't see the Trevor Lawrence appeal.

Speaker 4 (39:23):
Yet I'm gonna take Drake May.

Speaker 3 (39:25):
And, like Moncey said, if you don't see it yet,
say we're judging somebody at thirty five on potential.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
Give me a.

Speaker 9 (39:31):
Drake May, okay, Drake May or Sam Donald.

Speaker 4 (39:37):
Drake May, Yes, Drake May.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
Right now, I'm going with give me Sam Mmy, give
me Sammy Hey. After a while, you gotta admit that
Sam Donald's lost five football games in his last twenty
five Like, I don't know, I'm sorry, It's like I
guy could play. All right.

Speaker 9 (39:56):
How about Drake May or Jared Goff.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
I'm going with Jared.

Speaker 4 (40:00):
Yeah, I'm taking Jared Goff.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
I'm going with Jared.

Speaker 4 (40:02):
That dude's gonna give you lots of points when you
need it.

Speaker 3 (40:05):
The list of people to both to win, to go
to two conference championship games in different it's like ten
people and five of them are Hall of famers, and
one of them is Jared Goff.

Speaker 9 (40:13):
All right, last one, how about Drake May or Jordan Love.
This is go for it.

Speaker 3 (40:19):
Give me Drake May really, because I don't need the
roller coaster. Give me the consistency, you know.

Speaker 4 (40:26):
Jordan Love is I like the roller coaster.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
Give me look at that toxic, toxic right there. She
likes the ups and downs, all of that, all the drama,
toxic right there listening to sports radio that's right, broadcasting
live from Fox Sports Radio Studio. Why don't you looked
over at me in the commercial break and said, what
is up with Georgia? And you know.

Speaker 4 (40:51):
What I did.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
It's a very good question.

Speaker 4 (40:54):
What is wrong with that?

Speaker 3 (40:56):
As Jackson Arnold runs down to close to the end
zone there, they'll be in the red zone after the
two minute time out is done in UGA and.

Speaker 2 (41:05):
Auburn Bulldogs currently scoreless.

Speaker 3 (41:10):
So I talked about this a minute ago when de Strauser,
you know that one with the red ostroch logo on
the postseason MLB helmets that Strauss is trusted by the
pros worldwide. Their pants that are built like tools, durable, comfortable,
an engineered to perform from grit to glory. Gear up
at Strauss dot com, s t R a U S
S dot com.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
They're pitching bullpen games today.

Speaker 4 (41:33):
Yes, and.

Speaker 3 (41:36):
I have thought about this more in this postseason than
any but I was relatively new to baseball. I started
covering the Tigers in twenty twelve, and that was the
first time I'd ever seen nine consecutive innings, right, So
I didn't grow up with it in the way that
like I grew up with football. You know what I'm saying,

(42:01):
on its face, I understand why everything is set up
the way it is, and I get is probably maybe
the answer is just simply as longevity for regular season
versus postseason. I think if baseball was started today, you
would have your starting pitcher the way we know it

(42:24):
would actually be well like your middle reliever, and your
middle reliever would actually be your starter, a guy who
can go get like six outs, and then you put
in your better picture with the idea that he can
go get like the last twenty one outs. Like I

(42:48):
it makes no sense to me as I'm watching now,
obviously the game with the fifteen innings, so it's.

Speaker 9 (42:55):
A little yeah, it's tall.

Speaker 3 (42:56):
Apart, but I'm watching last night the time continually take
out of the bullpen a worse pitcher than the guy
that was subbing for. And in no other sportay, like
imagine if in hockey at every at the end of
every period you have to sub in the backup goalie, sure,
right until like you get to like the third period

(43:18):
where then you actually sub in your best goalie, but
he can only play for ten minutes, right like cause
like your closer.

Speaker 2 (43:23):
Right.

Speaker 3 (43:24):
I Still, I think you would have a you would
have a guy who you feel good about getting the
first six outs lefty, righty, deal with that matchup or whatever.
And then I think instead of starting once every five games,
you may like have I don't know, SHELLEYO. Tany pitched
the third through eighth inning three times a week or
two times a week instead of And I just it's

(43:46):
and I'm sure there's a just I'm sure there's hardcore
baseball people right now like this guy's an idiot, and
you know what, I'm willing to accept your opinion, Okay.

Speaker 4 (43:54):
So I don't think so I'm gonna tell you why.

Speaker 5 (43:58):
And I is this simply for the sake of like
you could just stretch it out like you think you idea.

Speaker 3 (44:05):
I give up a run in the first Inningah, I
understand that that run that like if I score one nothing, right,
somebody's got to score to win. So you score one
nothing in the first inning and it goes all the
way till nine obviously, but you have eight other frames.

Speaker 4 (44:20):
To make up the difference your offense does if you
give up.

Speaker 3 (44:25):
If your starter goes out and goes six or two
thirds scoreless and then your bullpen comes in and gives
up two runs, that might be the difference in the
game if those two runs came in the first inning
instead of those two runs coming in the eighth inning
off the same guy who would be pitching right, just
in reverse order, like you have, your whole strategy changes.

Speaker 5 (44:45):
So I feel like I hear what you're saying, but
yours is very particular for a particular situation. Is the
example you just gave me. But I'm just gonna tell
you no, and I'll tell you why, because it's a
lot easier to rely on one person. The idea that
you want me to have a bullpen game every single day,
and I have to rely on all of these guys
to do their job every single time.

Speaker 4 (45:07):
That's really hard. Baseball is a team sport, but it's a.

Speaker 5 (45:10):
Lot of individual performances, and so when you have a starter,
it's like, gosh, okay, in a perfect world, I don't
have to worry about anybody else until maybe the seventh inning.
I would hate to be a manager that every single
game I have to think of who's coming in every
two to three innings.

Speaker 4 (45:26):
I need a starter because that would be all right.
This game.

Speaker 5 (45:30):
I don't have to think about it unless you're getting rocked,
which would be a situation that's not ideal. But that
sounds way more stressful than having a guy that can
give me six to seven innings every few games.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
You know what, I guess that's what it is. Too
much thinking for all these jocks.

Speaker 4 (45:48):
It just come on, you see it. You just saw
it with the Phillies and the Dodgers.

Speaker 5 (45:52):
The Phillies lost because one guy made an error at
the worst possible time.

Speaker 3 (45:57):
And that kind of is my point. And I don't
know this should be truer or not, because again I
told you the n playoffs, I was not locked in
at all. I don't know if Kettering is like, you know,
the best possible option in the moment.

Speaker 4 (46:09):
He's only been in the league three years. He's like, literally,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (46:13):
That's that's not what I'm saying. Yeah, would you rather
had I don't know, Aaronola.

Speaker 5 (46:17):
Their problem is that you're not planning for fifteen innings
though you're like last night.

Speaker 4 (46:21):
You're not planning for these extra innings.

Speaker 5 (46:23):
You're planning for a game to end in nine innings,
and that is how you're going in with that game plan.
Once you go past that, you're like, all right, what
do we got?

Speaker 2 (46:33):
You think?

Speaker 3 (46:34):
You think what Joe Flacco got drafted? He was expecting
fifteen innings of his NFL career.

Speaker 4 (46:40):
I don't know, man, I don't know what he was thinking.
But he's really stretched his.

Speaker 3 (46:44):
Career out, and not only stretched his career out.

Speaker 4 (46:49):
Like made it valuable as an old man massie.

Speaker 3 (46:53):
So, Joe Flacco has the chance to be the first
player in the NFL issue to beat the same team
in two years in the same year.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
Yep, with the Packers, right m.

Speaker 3 (47:01):
Joe Flacco also is the first guy in NFL history
that I can think of. So it's not an exhaustive list,
but as you all know, playing these stupid little guess
who games, I'm pretty I got a lot of NFL
up here. He's got to be the first guy to
win not one, but two jobs without even competing for them,

(47:25):
without even trying.

Speaker 4 (47:27):
He competed when he was called off from the couch.

Speaker 9 (47:31):
Remember wait, do you guys remember josh Dobbs a few
years ago though.

Speaker 4 (47:34):
Joshua Dobbs. Yeah, but the scientist no.

Speaker 2 (47:39):
That the pastronaut is what they called it.

Speaker 3 (47:42):
But Josh Dobbs got in Arizona because Kyler got hurt.

Speaker 2 (47:47):
Sure, you see what I'm saying.

Speaker 9 (47:48):
So I get, isn't that why floss because Burrow got hurt?

Speaker 3 (47:52):
Well, I think it's more that Jake Browning is terrible. Yeah,
Like that's what I'm saying. It's more like Jake, Like
Kyler was hurt, and the name immediately put Dobbs in,
and then Minnesota traded for him, right, and then because
they had they were like on third string quarterbacks.

Speaker 9 (48:08):
So you're saying, so Dobbs never won the Arizona starting job.
They put him in because in the game, exactly, gotcha.

Speaker 2 (48:15):
Joe Flacco won the The conversation all summer was who's
going to be Cleveland's backup quarterback? Because we already knew
who the winner was?

Speaker 9 (48:23):
Yeah, right, yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:27):
And when I read the story that Joe Flacco was
going to start for the Bengals, I was like, all right,
this is Adam Schefter with the t's actually a one
or something like that. Some jerk paid twelve dollars on
Elon's Internet to get a blue check. And then I
saw Javar Chase say, I.

Speaker 3 (48:44):
Appreciate the organization trying to make this work, and Monci
I just thought, wait a minute.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
The Bengals think they're.

Speaker 5 (48:51):
Going to win the North, Well, the North is up
in the air right now, Martin Ravens. Ravens right now
are dead in the water because everyone's hurt.

Speaker 2 (49:01):
And they took them out the water, put them on
the pier.

Speaker 5 (49:03):
Literally literally, you know what I'm saying, Like everybody is hurt.
The Steelers are the only team that you're kind of like,
you seem like the most consistent, complete team right now.
Then you've got the Browns where you're just like you,
I don't know what you're doing next. I'm super confused
by all of your decisions.

Speaker 4 (49:18):
But here we are. You have a good defense, but
at the same time, it's not enough. I don't know
where you're going.

Speaker 5 (49:23):
The Bengals are over here, like, all right, let's get
a competent quarterback because you're right. Jake Browning through three
interceptions and somehow the Bengals won that game. That was
his first game, and when Joe Berger got hurt through
three interceptions, they still won. They have the offensive weapons,
they obviously don't have the defense, but they're seeing that
their division suddenly hasn't a pathway for them to win

(49:48):
up that they are. But when you're in this situation
where it's like, maybe Joe Flacco can throw the ball
to Jamar Chase and T Higgins and then maybe Chase
Brown could do something for my fantasy team, I'm not
sure mine. I'm just saying that there is a chance
nts that offensively the Bengals can actually pull out some wins. Now,
if I was Joe Burrow, I would have said, no,
thank you. Your O line sucks. I'm old, I can't

(50:09):
take the sacks.

Speaker 4 (50:10):
But here we are.

Speaker 2 (50:11):
Yeah, sorry, there's a lot of jokes.

Speaker 4 (50:12):
There's a lot of jokes. The boy is the Joes
are gonna get sacked than her. And if I was
Joe Blackwell, I would have said, no, thank you.

Speaker 9 (50:18):
Good thing I read of Joe Mixon.

Speaker 4 (50:20):
Yeah, it's right, too many jos. Absolutely.

Speaker 5 (50:23):
I I don't know because of that O line how
successful this can be, but it's going to be better
than Jake Browning.

Speaker 2 (50:31):
You know, I can't. If you just close your eyes.

Speaker 4 (50:37):
All right, I'm gonna close my hands, Okay, tell.

Speaker 2 (50:39):
Me, I'm going and say this out loud, all right,
uh huh. The team with the worst record in the division.

Speaker 4 (50:45):
The team with the worst record in.

Speaker 2 (50:47):
The division bench their quarterback.

Speaker 4 (50:49):
Bench their quarterback.

Speaker 2 (50:51):
The team with the second worst record in the division.

Speaker 4 (50:53):
The team with the second worst record in the division.

Speaker 2 (50:55):
Trades for the bench quarterback. At the bench quarterback, it
says going to be better.

Speaker 4 (51:01):
Yeah, uh huh, yeah, you know. No, listen, I hear.

Speaker 2 (51:05):
There and break down the two plus two.

Speaker 4 (51:08):
It sounds like it's like minus four not for yeah, no, no.

Speaker 5 (51:11):
No, it doesn't. It doesn't seem to be logical on paper.
But but that division suddenly is up for grabs.

Speaker 3 (51:27):
And that's the thing. I don't think it is as
long as Aaron Rodgers stays upright. Congratulations Pittsburgh, you're hosting
a playoff game, But it's not okay.

Speaker 5 (51:39):
So even beyond that division, who else, like, besides the
division winners, who else is gonna sneak in there on
a wildcard?

Speaker 4 (51:47):
Like there's a lot.

Speaker 5 (51:47):
I look at teams and I'm just like, again, I
don't trust the Jaguars.

Speaker 4 (51:50):
I don't trust the Texans, Tigns. I'm not even sure
what they're doing.

Speaker 5 (51:53):
But like even my Chargers, at this point, I don't
know what the final record is going to be because
we've just lost everyone and their mom.

Speaker 3 (52:01):
So if I'm looking at the wildcards, I'm thinking that
you have out of right now. I don't have the
standing in front of me, but I'm saying between Jacksonville
and Indianapolis, it will be a pretty amazing collapse if
one of those two were not a wildcard. Right, they're
one and four both, I mean four and one both. Right,
you're looking at the Bills. Who I mean the Patriots

(52:22):
already have a win over the Bills in division. Yes,
I would think they'll be in contention for a wildcard,
especially when you consider that from my dollar, Miami's the
worst team in football, and then New York still hasn't
won a game yet. I know those two things sound
like they don't drive, but I feel you, and I
think that somewhere between one of the three team I'm

(52:43):
good in between Broncos, Chargers and Chiefs, I still like
two of those teams to make like one obviously win
the division, another one will finish nine to seven and
be right there, quote unquote in the hunt for that
wildcard spot. I don't know if I don't see two.
I don't see nine and seven out of Cincinnati. I

(53:05):
don't see that run coming out of here. I don't
see nine and seven coming from Baltimore.

Speaker 2 (53:08):
Potentially, I hear what.

Speaker 4 (53:10):
You're saying, like they don't. I don't see it necessarily,
but they see that.

Speaker 5 (53:14):
I look at the Broncos and I look at the Chargers,
and I'm just like, I don't know what I'm gonna get.

Speaker 4 (53:18):
I don't know which team is gonna come out.

Speaker 5 (53:19):
The only team I trust in that division is the Chiefs,
because they're the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (53:23):
I think you're a rid. I think you're underestimating the Broncos,
and I might be. I think if if the Broncos
didn't commit a fifteen yard penalty on a sixty yard
field goal and we're six, and I mean for four
and one instead of three and two right now, yeah,
you might have a different feeling about.

Speaker 4 (53:40):
Them, maybe, but I don't. I don't. When I look
at them, they don't look I thought they were going.

Speaker 5 (53:47):
To look better than what they look like. Sure, and
that's what it compared to what I saw last year.
I just thought I was going to see a bet.
Not that they're bad, I just was expecting more. And
maybe that was my problem, that I was just expecting
more from Denver.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
I get it. That was me and Arts plaining. It
was really a me thing.

Speaker 4 (54:06):
Right, right, I only have myself to blame here.

Speaker 2 (54:08):
Can we Let's take let's take a moment.

Speaker 4 (54:11):
Here, take a moment.

Speaker 2 (54:12):
John Mattier injured his thumb.

Speaker 4 (54:14):
Yep, like seventeen days ago.

Speaker 3 (54:16):
Exactly, Yep, surgery fourteen days ago. Yep, you played today
three interceptions.

Speaker 4 (54:22):
Well I wonder why, huh huh.

Speaker 3 (54:26):
Texas is now four and two. But this is the
type of thing that interests me a lot about like
transfer quarterbacks and all the different kind of like transactional
nature of college football today. Because I think that Ohio
State lost to Michigan last year because I think that

(54:47):
Will Howard was hurt and I think that they couldn't
take him out because they paid how much for him,
you know what I'm saying. And it's like, this is
the biggest game of the year, we have to win it.
You end up losing it, I think in.

Speaker 2 (55:01):
Part because like he couldn't do the job. Your backup
quarterback might have been a better option.

Speaker 4 (55:06):
Yeah, right, Like but you can't. Yeah, you go down
with your ship with your captain.

Speaker 3 (55:09):
I think that Texas probably would not be four and
too right now, probably five to one if at some
point they had bench starts manning. And like you know
what I'm saying, I think the Loklahoma probably would have
won today.

Speaker 5 (55:23):
Had Jon matiernock, had John Matier not play yep, and
I can I don't disagree with you.

Speaker 3 (55:29):
And it's something interesting because like it's something that's been
in the NFL for the longest, like can this guy
really get out there and go It's like, hey, Buck,
you make a lot of money, get out there and
get to it, right. But here in college football is
now it's different, you know what I'm saying. And it's
like and the thing about the NFL as well, Oh well,
like Lamar Jackson, for example, would you blink twice if

(55:49):
they said Bravens keep on this pathway he's south till
week ten, they say we're gonna shut him down week
eleven because we have two wins.

Speaker 4 (55:57):
I mean, I hate that, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Speaker 2 (55:59):
By it because of the investment.

Speaker 4 (56:01):
Because of the investment. But I would hate that.

Speaker 3 (56:03):
But college football doesn't have the same no little investment
and nearly the same way. These guys are a multi
year deals in the NFL. It's just something to me,
something to think about, keep an eye on. He's got
these kids playing. I mean, Materia couldn't throw the ball today.

Speaker 4 (56:17):
No, and that's not surprising. When I saw that he
was probable, I.

Speaker 5 (56:21):
Was like, what, you just had surgery, my guy, take
a second on your throwing hand.

Speaker 2 (56:30):
You know, it's not like he plays running back.

Speaker 11 (56:32):
No.

Speaker 3 (56:33):
And also watching that game today, just maybe that much
war upset about strolling wore in Michigan is mainly in
it offensively against a team that was clearly beatable coming
up next. This guy's gotten a lot, a lot of
slander for some of his decisions. He had the opportunity
to make the first one two years ago.

Speaker 2 (56:55):
Was it right?

Speaker 3 (56:56):
We'll get to it just a moment. Martin weiss Monsi
Blano's Fox Sports Radio comes to your line from the
Fox Sports Radio studios. You can hit us on Twitter.
I'm at Martin weiss Mansi is at Mossy Bolanos and
actually had a few Twitter uh A few tweets that
came through.

Speaker 2 (57:16):
Oh, they had some breaking news just now that came out. Uh.
Let Steve J. Seger say it. New quarterback in the
desert this weekend. Yeah. Interesting. Uh.

Speaker 3 (57:26):
Brandon Brodie says the Raiders have to have holy water
downs on them, and they have good players, coaches and
executives go there to suck. I don't even think they'll
defeat the Titans, who are marginally better than they are,
only they are cursed like the Raiders are.

Speaker 6 (57:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (57:39):
No, the Raiders have looked.

Speaker 2 (57:42):
Rough.

Speaker 4 (57:42):
It's been really.

Speaker 5 (57:43):
Rough in all aspects of their game. Like Ashton genty
has had what one good game?

Speaker 2 (57:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (57:50):
Right, yeah, thus far, thus far, thus far.

Speaker 5 (57:52):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's just I think the expectation was
that the Raiders were not going to look like this
because of Pete, Carroll and Brady.

Speaker 2 (58:02):
We had a very this offseason. We had two grandfather
aged head coaching hires.

Speaker 3 (58:12):
Right, you had a granddad Billy in North Carolina and
then Granddad Pete in Vegas.

Speaker 2 (58:19):
And I'm not here to call Pete out too bad.

Speaker 4 (58:22):
No, he's doing better than Bill, which doesn't say a lot.

Speaker 2 (58:25):
But however, old Billy Beeg gets a lot of crap
for having all these You know, the family members on
the staff, you said, askedon Gent's had a rough start
to his NFL career thus far, not really able to
find daylight. You know, the Raiders offensive line coaches.

Speaker 3 (58:49):
We'll just say this, the tea, I'll just say this.
When he was born, Pete Carroll was a very happy man.
I'm just saying, maybe the best online coach for your
team wasn't sitting across and you think you hit me dinner?

Speaker 4 (59:09):
You're right? Why is nobody bringing this up? Martin?

Speaker 2 (59:12):
Listen, I'm here to bring up the uncomfortable truth. So
to Sark, Yes, I don't know why.

Speaker 3 (59:19):
I just think the Jackson Powers Johns would play center
in Oregon was all good.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
Now you can't find a spot?

Speaker 6 (59:25):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (59:25):
You last hear played fifteen games final spot. Then Antonio
Pierce had that line. Who knows it's you know, Tom
Brady and bar Pete Carroll. They're gonna figure it out
or they need to drink some holy water. Like like
my boy said, would you like.

Speaker 2 (59:40):

Just starts Fox Radio on YouTube and subscribe and a
quick hint. Now, let's kick it over to Steve de
Segur a little early.

Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
But there's a lot of acts are going on a
college football right now. Steve eure up and.

Speaker 12 (01:00:12):
You reference the NFL that it looks like and this
was kind of what we could see coming as the
day went along. Looks like Kyler Murray is likely out
for tomorrow's game. They haven't said that word out, however,
it looks like Jacoby Burssett is going to start. Mid
Foot sprain is the problem for Murray. The writing was

(01:00:32):
on the wall when Keaton slovas quarterback was signed from
the practice squad to the active roster today. Also in
the NFL, Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney out Monday with
a bad hamstring. Commander's wide receiver Deebo Samuel missed another
practice today with a bruised heel, and updating the baseball
Brewers lead to one over the Cubs in the top
of the fifth. This is Game five of the best

(01:00:53):
of five nl Division series. The NLCS begins Monday night,
and we can update how things are going going in
Tucson for the Arizona Wildcats. Yeah, lightning in the area,
so for over a half an hour they're in a
weather delay against BYU. They asked the fans to leave
their seats and seek shelter, so it's gonna be a while.
It's not a small delay. End of the first quarter.

(01:01:16):
Eighteenth ranked BYU had fourteen seven at Arizona BYU five
and zero Arizona four and one. As for other games
in progress, early third quarter at the La Coliseum, USC
leading fourteen to seven over Michigan, which is ranked fifteenth
in the country. They're two star running backs, the one
for each side. In fact, so far the top two
running backs in the Big Ten out due to injury.

(01:01:38):
Justice Haines Michigan ten carries fifty one yards waymon Jordan
USC eleven carries thirty nine yards. Also in progress at
a number eleven LSU Tigers lead South Carolina ten to
seven with about a minute to go till halftime. The
late game's going to be at ten fifteen Eastern Time.
Number twenty one Arizona State with the backup QB apparently

(01:01:59):
at UTI and Auburn is hosting and shutting out ten
thranked Georgia. Final minute of the first half, Auburn leads
ten nothing against the Bulldogs halftime on Fox TV. Number
nine Texas Tech now a twenty one seventeen leader against Kansas,
and in the third quarter at number five Texas A
and M, it's the Aggies over Florida twenty four fourteen.

(01:02:20):
Also in progress end of three, Iowa leads thirty to
nothing at Wisconsin. The Badgers apparently will be zero to
three in conference after tonight. Clemson has a halftime lead
of thirty four to ten at Boston College. Among today's finals,
Number one Ohio State a winner at Illinois thirty four
sixteen Fourth ranked Old miss held on twenty four to

(01:02:41):
twenty one over Washington State in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl,
Texas beat number six Oklahoma twenty three to six. Longhorns
were down six to nothing late first half. Top twenty
match up at MISSOO went to Alabama over Missouri twenty
seven to twenty four. Tennessee held on thirty four to
thirty one, beating Arkansas number thirteen. Georgia Tech won again
thirty five twenty against Virginia Tech, sixteenth rank. Notre Dame

(01:03:04):
was tied seven to seven with NC State just before halftime.
The Irish beat him thirty six to seven. Colorado was
oh and three in conference, but got a home win
against number twenty two Iowa State twenty four to seventeen,
and pitt won at number twenty five Florida State thirty
four thirty one Seminoles oh to three in the ACC.
And we talked a lot last hour about that top

(01:03:24):
ten matchup at Oregon. It went to the Indiana Hoosiers
thirty to twenty against the Ducks. These are the exact
numbers of how things have gone in the Indiana football
program over the decades. In games on the road against
a top five ranked opponent, Indiana had been oh and
forty six until today. All time home or road against

(01:03:45):
a top five opponent, one and seventy two was the
record until today, and the one was in nineteen sixty seven.
So you're correct before cell phones when they beat Perdue,
because back then Perdue had just had Bob Greasy at quarterback.
Purdue went to the Rose Bowl and beat USC after
the sixty six season, and then guess who goes to

(01:04:08):
the Rose Bowl winning the Big Ten. The next year,
Indiana went to the Rose Bowl and face number one USC.
I gotta say this again out loud, winning the Big
Ten in football back to back years in the late
sixties where Purdue and Indiana and right after that, literally
every year until the mid eighties it was either Ohio

(01:04:29):
State or Michigan every time.

Speaker 3 (01:04:31):
Back to you, Yeah, those who stay will be champions
did not apply in the Hoosier State, all right, So, Monsa,
We've seen a lot of reporting. This is one of
my biggest beefs that happens in sports media now. But
things that happened a long time ago that get reported

(01:04:52):
today so people act like they happened today. Right, So
this offseason there was a lot of oh, you know,
Kayleb Williams, actually, did you want to be a bear?

Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
You know?

Speaker 3 (01:05:02):
But all the reporting was from the pre draft process,
in which it makes a lot more sense to be
talking that way. But one of the things I found
interesting about said reporting was that apparently Ryan Poles did
not do any like are not nearly enough due diligence

(01:05:25):
and to make sure you know. Like Jayden Davis, for example,
when the Bears called him, He's like, I'm good. It's
too late now y'all are gonna take me, I'm not coming,
you understand, Simon servea of Drake may and all that.
So because they were taking Caleb Williams. And one of
the things he said was because like, the media would kill.

Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
Him if you took anybody but Kayleb Williams.

Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
May or not have been true, but the media would
have stopped killing him very quickly after they saw that.
Jayden Daniels, if he had taken him, was like capital
t taple g that guy for that rookie year. He's
going down, set down anyway us. He just broke a
big run. Congratulations your first you got off of ten yards.

(01:06:06):
Oh anyway, why.

Speaker 4 (01:06:07):
See you know your team is losing.

Speaker 2 (01:06:09):
I do, okay, I just I'm curious how you would
land on it.

Speaker 6 (01:06:13):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
Jayden's missed a few games.

Speaker 3 (01:06:14):
Caleb been remarkably healthy, but struggled more in his first season,
figuring it out more Now.

Speaker 2 (01:06:19):
I think this year Caleb Williams, Jane Daniels choose.

Speaker 5 (01:06:26):
You know, I think that the opinion of Jadeen Daniels
is the one that maybe has changed on my perspective
of it with what he has done the last couple
of years. Caleb Williams, to me, looks like what I
think people thought. And the problem that you saw with
Caleb Williams at SC specifically is that he tried to

(01:06:47):
play a lot of hero ball, and I feel like
I still see that with the Bears, And then in
year one you were wondering, well, are you playing hero
ball because everything else seems like it's not working and
you're trying to save the day. But now you're in
year two with this new coach and the expectations are
a little bit higher, but I feel like there's still
they're still kind of figuring things out and iron ironing

(01:07:11):
things out. I I think that if I was starting
a team right now and I had to pick between
the two, I think, even though I agree with what
you said earlier about Jane and Daniels and his durability,
I do I see what you're talking about. I think
right now, in the year and a half that we
have in front of us, of what they've done in

(01:07:31):
the in their careers in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (01:07:34):
I'm gonna take Jaden Daniels.

Speaker 5 (01:07:36):
But I'm not I'm not putting that, you know, with
the permanent marker, I might change my mind, give me,
give me a little bit more. I'm not. I'm not
super against the idea or the thought that Caleb Williams
can't figure this out with the Bears and what they're
putting together. But in this so far and what I've seen,
I'm gonna take Jayden and Downel it seems like it

(01:07:56):
comes a little easier to him right now.

Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
I think it seems like it comes easier to him,
or at least especially your one yes, in part because
of the way that like they and I think this
is a strategy that if I was a defensive head coach,
one I would or a head coach that came from
the defensive side of the ball, I would almost only
be looking for fired head coaches to be my offensive coordinator.

Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
Because Cliff Kingsbury.

Speaker 3 (01:08:24):
Is not going to get another job anytime soon, right
like I think that he did.

Speaker 2 (01:08:31):
And I think also Cliff Kingsbury has a little bit
of a.

Speaker 3 (01:08:36):
Self awareness and that like I don't want to be
a head coach there's a lot of work that goes
into being a head coach. That isn't let me sit
down with my quarterback and see what do you like
to do?

Speaker 2 (01:08:48):
What do I like to do? Let's put that together.

Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
I think that Caleb had none of that in year one,
and I think we all kind of overlooked it. And
it's honestly, I try to make lessons from every offseason
like what did I go?

Speaker 2 (01:09:02):
Where was I so wrong?

Speaker 7 (01:09:04):
You know?

Speaker 4 (01:09:04):
Why was I right?

Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
Right?

Speaker 6 (01:09:06):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:09:07):
And one of them was just like dude, coaches matter.
Matt Ebraflus had won three games on the road in
his life. I'm not being there was three then one
of them was a Thursday night game against Bailey Zampy
and the Patriots. I know that because I lost my
survivor in a week twelve. But three, right, so clearly

(01:09:28):
has shown a lack of ability to maneuver through this league. Right, Sure,
you can do some things well, I'm sure all those
losses weren't just you know, beata a right, right, but
you're not getting it done right. And so you got
a guy like Cliff had relative success as a head coach.
But it's still I mean, flamed out after a while
he's not going anywhere, you know what I'm saying. And

(01:09:50):
I think that's something that when you're building out the
infrastructure around the young guy. Now Ben Johnson, he ain't
going nowhere either. I think Caleb will have that. I
say that at the same long winded I'm trusting my
pre draft evaluation and I'm going with Caleb.

Speaker 4 (01:10:03):
And I understand that because you're not wrong.

Speaker 5 (01:10:05):
I think all of us were wondering, why why is
Chicago moving forward with Matt Eberflus for this?

Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
Is it just that you don't what do they know
that we don't?

Speaker 4 (01:10:15):
Who are you waiting for? Were they waiting for someone
in particular?

Speaker 5 (01:10:19):
You're right, Caleb Williams was never put in a situation
to succeed from day one with the Bears, including his coach,
while Jade and Daniels walked to it into a situation
that was a lot more let's just say.

Speaker 4 (01:10:33):
User friendly from the beginning, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (01:10:37):
And then Caleb Williams is walking into a situation where
he's like, how do I work this black phone or
this BlackBerry?

Speaker 4 (01:10:42):
Remember the BlackBerry? And Jadan Daniels has an iPhone and
so here we are.

Speaker 3 (01:10:47):
Jayden Daniels was painting by numbers, and Caleb was like
trying to, you know, make them own Alisha.

Speaker 4 (01:10:53):
Exactly exactly sortif so.

Speaker 5 (01:10:55):
But but I but based on what I've seen, I
am impressed by what what Jaden Daniels has done. It's
impossible to not be impressed. But so I said, I
could change my mind.

Speaker 4 (01:11:04):
This is right now. I would take Jayden, but I
understand why you would stick with Caleb.

Speaker 9 (01:11:08):
For both of you guys, does the does Jaden's injury history,
not that he has like an extensive injury history, but
the fact that he's got the slighter frame. It was
an issue coming.

Speaker 5 (01:11:17):
Out, absolutely, and I think that's a legitimate one. I
think that's a legitimate one.

Speaker 9 (01:11:20):
And now he's missed time in both years.

Speaker 4 (01:11:22):
Totally, and we know that he likes to run right
like he will put himself.

Speaker 3 (01:11:25):
Into I think he needs that well. I think that
it's a major part of what makes him as good
of a weapon as he is. Totally well, I think
I don't think he's like to. I think it's almost
has to in order to be the weapon. That this
is not a slock, that not a not to his throwing.

Speaker 2 (01:11:42):
Ability by any stretch. It's just he's one of the
more dynamic quarterbacks in the league. For like that.

Speaker 5 (01:11:47):
The running is what makes some that absolutely and he
already can throw and you know he can throw the
deep ball already with other quarterbacks, You're like, oh, he'll
get there to be able to get that strength. He
already has it, and adding the run game is like
a whole different thing.

Speaker 4 (01:12:01):
But the durability, I think is a legitimate question.

Speaker 5 (01:12:05):
It's just can he he can get strong. He can't
get stronger, but it's not gonna slow him down. I
don't know, but you know, protect him keep you.

Speaker 3 (01:12:13):
Know, Steve is to blame for this, Stevens, But I
went to look. In nineteen sixty five, John punt Pont
was in his first season with the Indiana Hoosiers.

Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
They went two and eight. The next year they went
one eight and one.

Speaker 3 (01:12:33):
The next year they went nine and two, six and
one in conference and lost the Rose Bowl. And from
that point on he did not have another winning season
at Indiana.

Speaker 4 (01:12:43):
Woof, that's rough.

Speaker 3 (01:12:45):
From that point on, Yeah, he did not have another
winning season at Indiana ended up eventually leaving to go
to Northwestern, where he also didn't have any winning seasons
at all.

Speaker 4 (01:12:55):
Wolf, that just.

Speaker 3 (01:12:58):
For those keep a score at home. Indiana football in
fact really bad. And again, also, like I said earlier,
you can't lose Northwestern, you cannot. Northwestern only won twelve
games between nineteen seventy three and nineteen seventy seven.

Speaker 2 (01:13:11):
What are we doing? Guys? Come on?

Speaker 4 (01:13:13):
And then who who did they beat today? Northwestern they beat?

Speaker 2 (01:13:17):
That'd be Pennstake.

Speaker 4 (01:13:18):
Oh that's right, Oh, that's right.

Speaker 2 (01:13:23):
Yeah, if you need the translation, I mean, it's about
fifty million dollars for James Franklin, is what it sounds like.
That's how it's translated.

Speaker 4 (01:13:36):
Also, really.

Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
All right. Coming up next, we'll play an addition to
sports court. It's sure all more actually guilty for paying
ten million dollars for a freshman quarterback and not letting
him run the ball. Find out just a moment.

Speaker 3 (01:13:50):
Mario Weis's Manzi VLAs Fox Sports Radio, Martin Weiss manci Velos,
coming to live from the Fox Sports Studios.

Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
Mike norvel I'm watching a video on the Twitter machine
and he is fussing at his defensive coordinator, Tony White.
The Seminoles have allowed one hundred and eight points. In
their three game losing streak.

Speaker 3 (01:14:18):
Remember they came out guns of blazing beat Alabama.

Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
Everybody's like, whoa Florida State? In fact back No. No
zero and three and conference play.

Speaker 3 (01:14:31):
And I'm gonna go ahead and say it right here,
right now, Mike Norvel guilty. But the way you yelling
at your defensive coordinator, will you know you the head
man in charge.

Speaker 2 (01:14:41):
Let's see if he comes up in sports court.

Speaker 9 (01:14:45):
All right, guys, that is the sports court, you know
the drill. I have here a series of people from
around the world of sports that we're putting on trial
here in the sports court. And it's up to you, guys,
the jury, to tell me whether they are guilty or
not guilty of what I'm saying here. So start with
this Aalen Carter stands accused. So, in a bit of
a surprise, the Eagles defensive tackle showed up on the
injury report ahead of the Thursday night football matchup against

(01:15:08):
the Giants, and he was ultimately ruled out of the
game on the broadcast, though Ian Rappaport reported that it
was his understanding that the infamous MetLife turf was a
major factor in the decision for him to sit out
of the game. So what do you guys think guilty
or not guilty?

Speaker 5 (01:15:23):
Jalen Carter of not playing because of MetLife Stadium.

Speaker 4 (01:15:27):
Yes, so, oh.

Speaker 5 (01:15:30):
Man, you know it's hard to not think like that
when we have seen the history of what happens at
MetLife Stadium and with the heel injury. If I'm gonna
know he's guilty, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
Cool, kill me. I'm going not guilty. These allegations of
are faults. I think like Monty Stad, he already had
a heel.

Speaker 3 (01:15:49):
If you know, guys snapped their snapped her achilles out there,
you're already leaning that way neighbors the week before that
was a acl but still the fact remains, like, if
you this is a thing, I will knock you out
for the rest of the year. No, I'm not going
out there like and honestly more guys should because they need.

Speaker 2 (01:16:05):
To address that.

Speaker 4 (01:16:06):
And I guess that's my problem. It's like, you're who
are you to to do that?

Speaker 2 (01:16:11):
Not that you already had a low like it came.

Speaker 4 (01:16:14):
Out of nob he talking about he puts the ball
an injury before Wednesday.

Speaker 9 (01:16:18):
Then it seems I don't know, it seems like he
maybe it sounds like it seems like he maybe could
have played, but the fact that they were playing on
the MetLife turf made it so like, Okay, now we're
just gonna keep him out.

Speaker 2 (01:16:28):
Let's go.

Speaker 5 (01:16:30):
Go's not saying let's go about Jalen. Let's go that's
not what he's saying.

Speaker 2 (01:16:33):
Let's go about defense. It's the big tank.

Speaker 4 (01:16:36):
Come on, that's up his Wolverine's just made a play.

Speaker 9 (01:16:39):
Yeah, next time, next up. Lebron James stands accused. So
the Lakers announced a few days ago that the forty
year old star has sciatica and will be re evaluated
in three to four weeks. Uh, that means he's gonna
miss the opener against Golden State. So, guys, in twenty
twenty five, when we really don't know which season could
be Lebron's last, every last Lebron versus Step matchup should

(01:17:01):
be cherished, and Lebron is depriving us of one of
those right off the bat.

Speaker 2 (01:17:03):
Here.

Speaker 9 (01:17:04):
So Lebron James guilty or not guilty.

Speaker 5 (01:17:08):
Lebron James is guilty of just like being a thorn
on my side, my guy, Lo, Look, you know, whatever
Lebron does, he's guilty.

Speaker 4 (01:17:19):
He is I can't.

Speaker 5 (01:17:20):
I can't like Lebron, you just can.

Speaker 4 (01:17:23):
You just wrap it up? Can you just go away?

Speaker 2 (01:17:26):
I'm gonna go not guilty of depriving. The moments are false.

Speaker 3 (01:17:31):
They went had the Olympic moment. We saw that the
Ali you will live forever. Lebron James is guilty of
being old.

Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
Like the first time I heard is Sayattica, it was
because my seventy year old uncle head, this is an
old people think, yeah, no, I have it.

Speaker 5 (01:17:48):
Yeah, yeah, it hurts annoying around then next up, Oklahoma
football coach Brent Vennable stands accused.

Speaker 9 (01:17:55):
So in the Red River showdown today, Texas versus Oklahoma rivalry.
For those who don't know, oh you, starting quarterback John
Mattier made his return from a hand surgery. You guys
have been referencing this throughout the show that had him
sidelined for a few weeks, and this was way ahead
a schedule form as he was expected to be out
for at least a month. All week, Matier had been
listening as questionable and bred Mannables kept insisting to the

(01:18:16):
media that he didn't know anything about the injury, and
even implied early in the week that he was not
in line to play. So is it gamesmanship from venables?
Or is one of college football's biggest rivalry? Is it
gamesmanship for one of college football's biggest rivalries? Or is
menibles just a no good, stinky liar? Guilty or not guilty?

Speaker 2 (01:18:34):
Not guilty? What he's guilty of his playing? Eh? Like
you said a few weeks? It was actually two weeks.
It didn't get to the third. Right, you have one,
then you had two, then you get the three, then
a few right.

Speaker 4 (01:18:49):
Right, two weeks because that's a couple.

Speaker 2 (01:18:52):
Yeah, right, he's guilty for playing. And we said, have
played the backup, and I bet you they would have won.

Speaker 5 (01:18:57):
Yeah, I know he's guilty for playing him. You did
not need to rush him back. No, no, no, it
went worse for you by playing him than if you
would have played the backup. I, like Martin said, absolutely idiots.

Speaker 2 (01:19:09):
I get arch man is in it outside, but damn
you still, why would I roll out of guy again?

Speaker 4 (01:19:14):
Arch You just arch Manning is on the other side.
What were you afraid of?

Speaker 6 (01:19:19):
All? Right?

Speaker 9 (01:19:19):
Lebron James stands accused again. That's right, Not so fast, Lebron,
Get back here, Get back here, you're not off the
hook yet. Earlier this week, the King teased a second
decision which had on the which had the Internet in
a complete uproar trying to guess with that man. The
next day it turned out to just be an announcement
for his new partnership with Hennessy and that that actually
wasn't the end though. A Lakers fan is trying to

(01:19:39):
sue him because they had bought tickets to the final
game of the season thinking that he was going to
be that was going to be his swan song. Now
they're trying to sue him to pay the eight hundred
and sixty five dollars they paid for those tickets. So
what do we think, Lebron James of this, guilty or
not guilty?

Speaker 5 (01:19:55):
Not guilty, idiot fan for buying those I think you didn't.

Speaker 4 (01:20:00):
You didn't even didn't even buy the final game. I
think he bought the final Cavaliers game.

Speaker 9 (01:20:06):
That's right, right, to see.

Speaker 4 (01:20:07):
That last matchup. I can't help you if you're an idiot.

Speaker 2 (01:20:10):
He's not guilty.

Speaker 4 (01:20:11):
He's not guilty.

Speaker 2 (01:20:11):
He's guilty. The rest of you jerks who are sitting
the roully, Oh my god, is Lebron gonna retire on
a random Tuesday on Twitter.

Speaker 1 (01:20:18):
No, plea, don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:20:23):
Some dirty pool being played at the coliseum. I'll just
say that dirty pool being played at the coliseum.

Speaker 3 (01:20:31):
As on Bryce Wood other words, turnover deep in USC territory.
Donavan McCully is tackled by a USC defensive back and oh,
nothing to see here, nothing to see here.

Speaker 5 (01:20:43):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (01:20:43):
I mean, I'm not gonna lie to you.

Speaker 5 (01:20:44):
I've seen more egregious calls not called than the one
year upset about I.

Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
Mean, Nickel Roby covin, first time, Lee Lewis in this
That's what That's what I'm feeling about it right now,
twenty one to seven, at the end of the first
quart and end the third quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
And I this is just me and my group chat.

Speaker 3 (01:21:02):
So I don't know if this is true for everybody
else in America, but I do find myself it's a
pretty high level football conversation happening in here. And I
have pounded the table all year. They need to let
Bryce Underwood play. You paid him ten million dollars. I
don't care if he's a freshman. I don't care if
he's nineteen. You don't pay double digit millions of dollars

(01:21:25):
for your quarterback if he can't play right. And and
in the moments that they let him go out there
and sling it, it looks just like Lamar Jackson, but
two inches taller.

Speaker 2 (01:21:36):
When they turn around and hand the ball off to
not Justice Haynes, this is what you end up getting.
It's twenty one to seven US six.

Speaker 4 (01:21:44):
What year is Bryce Underwood.

Speaker 2 (01:21:45):
He is a freshman. This is his football.

Speaker 4 (01:21:47):
Okay, so he's a freshman, yes, okay.

Speaker 5 (01:21:49):
So maybe maybe there's a reason why the approaches this way.

Speaker 3 (01:21:54):
Yes, the reason is the head coach and the offensive
coordinator are blowing it.

Speaker 2 (01:21:58):
That is the reason. That is the reason. I'll say it.
Look Saving has said it, orvand Meyers said it. It's
not about paying guys, it's who you pay. You can't
pay somebody in college football ten million dollars unless that
person is an immediate game changer.

Speaker 4 (01:22:21):
Immediate is that what he's making.

Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
It's a ten million dollar deal. Wow, an immediate game changer.
And here's the thing. When they let him run, when
they when they run him, like when they play him
like Oklahoma plays John Materier. This is one of the
best teams in the nation when they play him like
he had homecoming six weeks ago. This is what happened.

Speaker 5 (01:22:44):
There's a bit of a responsibility for you to kind
of mold this freshman quarterback into something besides just letting
him go out there and go completely based on skill
and talent.

Speaker 2 (01:22:54):
That's training camp, but the SAT practice it's not the same.
To get this thing going. To get this thing going,
we gotta we gotta get this thing going.

Speaker 3 (01:23:04):
We got transported, we got n I M money, we
got they the dude who made Google put down ted like,
I'll tell her that that's where the money is.

Speaker 2 (01:23:13):
We got the money. It's gotta spend. It's gotta go.
I'm sorry, gotta have. It's gotta have. We get to
usc to us like this.

Speaker 4 (01:23:25):
That is a dig at Ian.

Speaker 2 (01:23:26):
No, it's just they pushed the others up physical.

Speaker 9 (01:23:29):
My favorite is I don't have to say anything. I
just let the boys do talking.

Speaker 4 (01:23:32):
On the score.

Speaker 3 (01:23:33):
Okay, fifteen minutes left in that one. We'll see how
it ends up. Let's make some picks, all right.

Speaker 9 (01:23:40):
So I guess first we got to update last week.
You both went four and one, all right, So yeah,
I texted Martin for his picks. Obviously he was out,
he was at a wedding. But you actually this was Uh.
I think this is the first. You guys were in
complete agreement every game, so it makes sense you both.

Speaker 2 (01:23:55):
On front of it.

Speaker 3 (01:23:56):
I was looking at him and I was like, I
just think she's right. Yeah, Like what if I had
been here, I would have been like, no, do pick
another one?

Speaker 2 (01:24:03):
Pick another?

Speaker 3 (01:24:05):
But I am on a continuing my impressive streak of
picking the underdog that then doesn't score a touchdown the
next day.

Speaker 9 (01:24:14):
Right, Well, you both you both picked the Chargers over
the Commanders, and that was the only one, the only
one that you Otherwise it would have been a five.
And oh oh, well let's go for five? And oh
this week, shall we let's go?

Speaker 2 (01:24:24):
All right? Uh?

Speaker 9 (01:24:25):
First game I got for you guys, the Seahawks at Jaguars.
Seattle is favored by a point and a half on
the road. Remember the Jaguars are coming off that big
win on Monday Night Football over to the Chiefs. Mancey,
who you got?

Speaker 5 (01:24:38):
So I this is an interesting one for me because
I still have questions on both of these teams.

Speaker 4 (01:24:43):
To be honest with you, but I'm gonna say that
the job.

Speaker 5 (01:24:45):
I don't believe the Jaguars at four and one, I
just don't believe it.

Speaker 4 (01:24:48):
So I'm gonna take the Seahawks to cover.

Speaker 3 (01:24:52):
I'm gonna take the Jags because I think that's this
is my thought process. The Jaguars have so many turnovers.
Sam Donald will let he'll put the ball up at risk.
I think he's played the best ball in his career, like,
but he will put the ball up at risk.

Speaker 2 (01:25:09):
I think that might be the difference.

Speaker 9 (01:25:11):
Next up, the San Francisco forty nine Ers going to
Tampa Bay to take on the Bucks. Buccaneers are favored
by three and a half points at home. What do
you guys think?

Speaker 5 (01:25:22):
I am on a baker of Mayfield High and the bucket.

Speaker 4 (01:25:26):
This is not gonna be a pretty game for the
forty nine ers Buccaneers cover.

Speaker 2 (01:25:30):
I'm with I'm with Monci here, not even just yeah, yeah,
I don't. Matt Jones is not I'm sorry, I.

Speaker 3 (01:25:38):
Don't buy it, and I watched him limp off the
field Thursday night, don't. I just think that the forty
nine ers are too injured, and I get that the
Buccaneers that have kind of been winning falling through the
rain drops.

Speaker 2 (01:25:49):
I don't think the Hurricanes coming yet, not at all.

Speaker 4 (01:25:51):
And I agree.

Speaker 5 (01:25:52):
I think it's more of give Kyle Shanahan his flowers
for how he's handled everything. But yeah, Buccaneers are gonna
have an easy time.

Speaker 9 (01:25:59):
Next, the Lions are going to Arrowhead to take on
the Chiefs. I'm a little surprised by this. I don't
know about you, guys. The Chiefs are favored in this
game by two and a half points at home. It's
probably the home field advantage, I guess. And they're coming
off that again emotional loss on Monday. Maybe that's part
of it. But the Lions look like one of the
best teams in the league. What do you guys think?
Start with you, Monci.

Speaker 5 (01:26:20):
The Lions are missing like their top three corners for
this game, and I feel like the Chiefs are getting
their offensive weapons back, their offensive groove. So I understand
this line, and maybe we're jumping to conclusions with the line,
but I'm taking I think the Chiefs cover. I think
they win by like a field goal, but I think, yeah,
that's how it's going to go.

Speaker 2 (01:26:39):
I am going to take the Chiefs to cover but lose.

Speaker 4 (01:26:41):
Interesting.

Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
I think the Lions win this.

Speaker 3 (01:26:45):
I think it's a one point game when it boils
down to it and we're looking at it.

Speaker 2 (01:26:49):
Tw's the total year, do you have it right there? Oh,
fifty three is half fifty two and a half. So
I'm looking at twenty eight to twenty seven. That's right.
It's why I think the final score would be so
go over. Okay.

Speaker 9 (01:27:06):
I think this is the biggest spread of the week
here the Bengals at Packers. So Bengals are going to
Green Bay Packers of the home team. Packers are favored
by thirteen and a half points at home. But remember
the Bengals just traded for Flacco, right. We know, you know, Martin,
you're not a big believer in that, But Mancy, what
do you think.

Speaker 4 (01:27:24):
I think the logical answer here is you take green Bay.
But I am not.

Speaker 5 (01:27:30):
I am taking the Bengals to cover, and you know,
maybe that's gonna be my atomic pick.

Speaker 4 (01:27:37):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 3 (01:27:38):
I too, am taking the Bengals to cover because I
think that, like, here's the thing it's got to be.
I think that we underestimate how hard it would be
to game plan against what you've never seen and what
you've never seen is Flaco with this collection of offensive players, right, Like,

(01:27:58):
it's a little bit like I think that, Like, that's
part of the reason why I think the Lions got
smacked around week one is because like they had a
whole blocking scheme set and then Michael Parsons was added
in there. Now, Joe Flacco Michael Parsons not exactly one
to one, but I do think Flacco's so much better
than I actually say this, Jake Brewning so much worse
than what Joe Flacco could put out there that I

(01:28:19):
think that the receivers will get off.

Speaker 9 (01:28:21):
I didn't mention. Also, the Packers are coming off of
bye week two, and remember before that they had the
tie with.

Speaker 2 (01:28:25):
The Conch You know what, the Packers and me aren't
good enough. They don't deserve this.

Speaker 9 (01:28:29):
They don't the package you show me.

Speaker 3 (01:28:32):
Buffalo is a fourteen point favorite. Okay, I'm with you.
The Green Bay.

Speaker 5 (01:28:36):
Though, Yeah, they've been underwhelming. I can't believe it's by
that much.

Speaker 9 (01:28:39):
All Right, last one here for you guys. This is
the Monday night game. There's a double header on Monday
Night football this week.

Speaker 2 (01:28:44):
This is the second.

Speaker 9 (01:28:45):
This is the second of the two games. Chicago Bears
going to Washington to face the Commanders. Commanders are favored
by four and a half points at home. Monty, what
do you think.

Speaker 4 (01:28:56):
That's an interesting one, isn't it? Isn't it? I I
don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:29:02):
I don't know if the Bears are going to be
able to stop the Commander's run game. But I wouldn't
be surprised if the Bears finally kind of put something
together where we're like, Okay, this is this is what
you've been looking for the first few weeks of the season.

Speaker 4 (01:29:16):
But you know, I'm in it, man, this one's this
was up.

Speaker 3 (01:29:24):
All right, I'm gonna do I don't want to because
I don't want to. I don't want to say I
agree with once again, duh Bears.

Speaker 2 (01:29:30):
Give me the Bears.

Speaker 3 (01:29:31):
Caleb Williams, this is like a secret like motivation spot,
even though Ben Johnson's like Ben Johnson has told.

Speaker 2 (01:29:39):
The media all week, this is a new team.

Speaker 3 (01:29:41):
I don't care what Tyre Stevens, who was doing hail
Mary Smail Mary, fail Mary.

Speaker 2 (01:29:45):
I guarantee you he walked into that locker room and said,
this is a new team. We're about to go kick
their ass and show everybody that this is a new team.

Speaker 5 (01:29:55):
Yeah, it's the number one rushing offense against the worst
rushing defense.

Speaker 9 (01:29:59):
But I think, stat.

Speaker 4 (01:30:01):
I'm gonna take the Bears. Take the Bears to cover.

Speaker 5 (01:30:05):
I feel like this would be the one that they
turn it around that make you know what I'm saying
that we walk away from. I'm like, okay, okay, Chicago,
you're putting something together.

Speaker 2 (01:30:12):
So do we all agree on? We have separation?

Speaker 7 (01:30:16):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:30:16):
We were growing everything.

Speaker 1 (01:30:17):
You did know.

Speaker 9 (01:30:18):
So the first game I gave you, guys, Seahawks Jaguars, Monts.
He took the Seahawks, Martin took the Jaguars. The rest
of your inn agreement on.

Speaker 2 (01:30:24):
I don't like the Jaguars that much, but I took
them anyway. Steelers, Steelers Browns. Okay, then Steelers Browns. Let
me check the line. Pittsburgh's favored by six and a
half at home.

Speaker 4 (01:30:35):
What do you guys think we don't go for it
because you like that it's so funny.

Speaker 2 (01:30:38):
I think the Steelers cover six and a half. I
think the Steelers cover six and a half. Mike Tomlin
beats up rookie quarterbacks, and honestly, part of me, I
think we might see twelve. I think we might see
shoot door Sanders ooh.

Speaker 5 (01:30:57):
Oh oh, you know, just for funzies, because I like
everything you said.

Speaker 4 (01:31:02):
But you know what, I'm gonna take the Browns to cover.
I'm gonna take the Browns to cover Steelers win.

Speaker 2 (01:31:06):
Is this like a you and Dylan Gabriel swore? People unite?

Speaker 4 (01:31:08):
Yes, sure, people unite forever. Thank you so much. I'm
gonna kick you in the next break.

Speaker 3 (01:31:14):
No, seriously, though, some of the numbers on Mike Tomlin
versus rookie quarterbacks incredible.

Speaker 2 (01:31:20):
Let's pick a toomic dooms.

Speaker 4 (01:31:22):
I hear you. But I'm'm gonna take this Cleveland moncy.

Speaker 3 (01:31:26):
Like I told you before, We've done five of these,
and of those five, three of mine didn't score a
touchdown in the game that I picked and said they
were going to win.

Speaker 2 (01:31:36):
So with that, yeah, no, no, no, no no.

Speaker 9 (01:31:40):
I need to update from last week though, Okay, just
check in Martin Jets over Cowboys did not happen, didn't score,
didn't score, Yeah, good point, waiting to rub salt in
the wound. And then Moncey Giants over Saints. You mentioned
it early, not wrong, just early.

Speaker 5 (01:31:56):
Don't remind me that was such a frustrating it did
not hit fumbles, all of them lost by New York.

Speaker 4 (01:32:02):
One of them returned for a touchdown against the Saints.

Speaker 2 (01:32:07):
I saw watch the game.

Speaker 4 (01:32:08):
I'm so mad, so mad Jackson Dart.

Speaker 2 (01:32:12):
So, who's do you want to go first?

Speaker 4 (01:32:13):
Sure, I'll go first, all right.

Speaker 5 (01:32:15):
Listen, there's a few that I had my eye on,
but you know, I think I have our conversation or
everything I'm happening right now. I'm gonna take the Bears
to be the commanders on the road. Okay, that's gonna
be my pick.

Speaker 2 (01:32:26):
I like it. I'm gonna go with. There's a few.

Speaker 4 (01:32:29):
Juices, a few juicy ones. I agree.

Speaker 2 (01:32:31):
I like Bears commanders. This four and a half space
is like a really ugly space for lines to be.

Speaker 4 (01:32:37):
I agree.

Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
They don't know there's two possessions, but like like Atlanta
plus four and a half right there, it's one that's
like that feels weird. Another one that I didn't like
those like the Cowboys minus three versus the Panthers. It's like, right,
that is a game that Dallas might if they trick
it off. I'm gonna be so madable what I said
it the first hour of the show. They need to

(01:32:58):
win that one and continue rolling. I'm gonna go with
for my underdog pick. It is not gonna be the
four and a half Buccaneers. I'm sorry, not Buccaneers Dolphins.

Speaker 4 (01:33:09):
You know what, it's a few juicy ones.

Speaker 2 (01:33:11):
I'm going with my boy, Brandon b The Raiders are cursed.
Give me cam.

Speaker 3 (01:33:17):
Ward and the Tennessee Titans plus four and a half
on the road in Allegiance Stadium.

Speaker 2 (01:33:22):
I'll go ahead and take the rookie to get his
second win. But this one they might actually, they might
actually earn it instead of it being like, yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:33:29):
Accidentally down from the other team, right, they didn't accidentally win.

Speaker 4 (01:33:33):
You think they're actually gonna win?

Speaker 3 (01:33:34):
The guy, I think they actually will win that game.
And I would say this this is for the true
kiss of death and honorable mention. I'm not counting this one.
I think the Saints beat the Patriots. I think the
Saints beat the Patriots too, and so it's gonna end
up happening. Now New Orleans will win by seventeen.

Speaker 4 (01:33:56):
And the Saints are gonna win. What's gonna happen?

Speaker 2 (01:33:59):
Exactly what happens right now?

Speaker 3 (01:34:00):
We're looking at it Baseball game Game five, series tied
to to the top.

Speaker 2 (01:34:04):
Of the seventh.

Speaker 3 (01:34:04):
I think Dan's beans Swanson at bat two to one,
the score with the Brewers in the lead.

Speaker 2 (01:34:11):
I tell you what.

Speaker 3 (01:34:14):
If Milwaukee wins this after the Cubs make well, now
we've just made a series out of that. But the
Cubs paid CRECG Council all that money to leave Milwaukee
to come to Chicago to lose again. I tell you what,

(01:34:36):
I spend a decent amount of time in Chicago with
Swansor strikes out to go for three and in the inning,
Wrigleyville is not happy, but you know what they do.

Speaker 2 (01:35:02):
Who was the biggest standout this today, Monty.

Speaker 3 (01:35:05):
Tell you next, I see our producer Ian Ridy of
there nodding and bobbing his head along that I feel good.

Speaker 4 (01:35:13):
I wonder why it's.

Speaker 2 (01:35:15):
Not because Michigan just scored a sixty nine yard touchdown.

Speaker 3 (01:35:17):
I know that's right, Martin Weiss and many here as
he's rooting for his USC Trojans, and I'm watching Sharon
Moore piss it down the drain.

Speaker 2 (01:35:28):
All right, Coming to.

Speaker 3 (01:35:29):
You live from the Fox Sports Radio Studios. I'm Martin

Speaker 2 (01:35:55):

Speaker 4 (01:35:58):
I actually did, so I knew what you were talking about.

Speaker 11 (01:36:00):
It.

Speaker 4 (01:36:00):
That's crazy.

Speaker 5 (01:36:01):
No Mount Everest, and it's when I when I found
out that people would climb Mount Everest and that they
just knew their location based on the frozen dead bodies
that are there.

Speaker 4 (01:36:11):
It's like, oh, we did pass by that guy, already
we're on our way back.

Speaker 5 (01:36:14):
I was like, squeeze's squeeze because you can't.

Speaker 4 (01:36:18):
It cost so much money to remove them. It's so
dangerous to room.

Speaker 2 (01:36:20):
Well that they died up.

Speaker 4 (01:36:22):
There like that.

Speaker 5 (01:36:24):
When I when I first heard that, I was like,
Mount Everest is Mount Everest for a reason.

Speaker 4 (01:36:28):
Well, you know we're trended.

Speaker 3 (01:36:30):
You know, Monzi, Just like Mount Everest, we have Mount Heisman.
And as people cross past the characters carcasses of Arch
Manning and others, it's time for your Saturday standouts.

Speaker 4 (01:36:45):
We had some good games today. Let's start with our
first one.

Speaker 9 (01:36:48):
The snap goes to Simpson looking firing slamm.

Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
Talk down Alabama.

Speaker 13 (01:36:54):
I say, a hoarding in the fact of the end
zone with the tightest of windows to catch it through.
And what a pass again from TDD Simpson and Bama
takes the Lady thirteen to seven.

Speaker 4 (01:37:06):
You just heard Chris Stuart from lear Field.

Speaker 5 (01:37:08):
I mean Simpson was twenty three of thirty one two
hundred yards three touchdowns as Alabama top Missouri twenty seven
to twenty four.

Speaker 4 (01:37:15):
Since losing in Week one, the Crimson Tide has found
their group. They have not lost sense than Martin and
they're three and zero in the SDC. You know, after
what a change.

Speaker 2 (01:37:26):
Since week one.

Speaker 3 (01:37:26):
That nice lady, you gonna be able to hold on
to our lottery win it if you get it.

Speaker 2 (01:37:31):
I'd buy killing the boread she really she's.

Speaker 4 (01:37:33):
By like, never mind, I never had I don't. We're
gonna buy about we're gonnauy hbout, honey, put your check
book away, Let's go to number two.

Speaker 2 (01:37:39):
Fernando takes the staff. They pressure in the throat of
the end zone. Top stodjay, Wow, what a play. It
was actually Sad who made the catch.

Speaker 6 (01:37:51):
But I'm telling you what now, that was some throw
by Fernando Mendozo.

Speaker 4 (01:37:56):
It really was.

Speaker 5 (01:37:57):
What a whole performance by Indiana Fisher from Learfield surrat
He ended with eight catches for one hundred and twenty
one yards and that touchdown against one of the top
defenses in college football. The Hoosiers beat the Oregon Ducks
twenty or thirty to twenty. They stay undefeated, and that
touchdown came when it mattered the most.

Speaker 4 (01:38:15):
It was incredible.

Speaker 2 (01:38:16):
Signetti said, it goog since he since he's been in Indiana.
I think what three losses?

Speaker 4 (01:38:23):
Yeah, I think that's about right, o, because.

Speaker 3 (01:38:25):
Two going into the playoffs, and are you going on
a road beating Oregon?

Speaker 2 (01:38:30):
Impressive?

Speaker 4 (01:38:31):
Impressive? And then let's wrap it up here.

Speaker 6 (01:38:35):
Sam turns tackle Dan Curry is too sixty.

Speaker 4 (01:38:43):
Kate Agrey, you just heard on Fox TV in two
tackles at Zach. He also recovered a fumble today and
the buck guys stay undefeated.

Speaker 5 (01:38:51):
They outscored Illinois thirty four to sixteen. Because defense matters.
Don't forget Dak. Defense matters. Those were our set today. Standoutton.

Speaker 3 (01:39:01):
I'd love for somebody to tell the football the football
game going on in the coliseum that defense matters, because
we're hitting complete passes that hit the ground.

Speaker 2 (01:39:11):
We're getting miss p I calls on interceptions and blocks
in the back.

Speaker 3 (01:39:15):
I mean, I mean, goodness, gracious lord, I'm mightiest with Dickis.

Speaker 4 (01:39:19):
Oh yeah, no, it's not. It's not looking good for
your Wolverines here.

Speaker 2 (01:39:22):
Well, it'd be better if they were calling in a
complete passage in complete. The ball rips out of his own.

Speaker 4 (01:39:27):
I mean, I know, if that was incomplete, I'll.

Speaker 2 (01:39:29):
Say, you know who don't have the ball? The receiver
is that?

Speaker 4 (01:39:33):
That looks like he caught it to me?

Speaker 5 (01:39:34):
Right there, and that looks like he's down, and it
looks like the guy is fighting to take the ball out.

Speaker 4 (01:39:39):
Once he's down. So is that a catch or is
that you took the ball after I went down. I'm
just telling you what I see.

Speaker 3 (01:39:46):
Well, you know, I'll get ONCDOC dot com optometrist for Montciblon.

Speaker 2 (01:39:57):
All right, let's kick it over to Steve Sager.

Speaker 3 (01:39:59):
With everything going on in the world of sports, you
do have an elimination baseball game going on.

Speaker 4 (01:40:03):
No I know homers.

Speaker 12 (01:40:06):
So far, solo shots all around. Milwaukee have three to
one over the Chicago Cubs in the top of the
eighth inning. It's Game five of the best of five
NL Division Series. The way it's looking now, the Dodgers
will be at top seeded Milwaukee to start the National
League Championship Series on Monday night. The ALCS starts Sunday
night on Fox TV Seattle at Toronto, with Game two

(01:40:27):
on Monday in Toronto. Commander's wide receiver Deebo Samuel missed
another practice today with the Bruce Heal. Cardinals quarterback Kyler
Murray likely out with the spring foot this weekend, according
to NFL Network. In College Football Today, Indiana won at
Oregon in a top ten matchup thirty to twenty. That
game was tied with under seven minutes left. Texas beat
number six Oklahoma twenty three to six. John Matteer through

(01:40:50):
three interceptions sacked five times after last month's broken hand,
and number eight Alabama won at fourteenth rank Missouri twenty
seven to twenty four. Ty Simpson three touchdown passes wins
for Ohio State and Old miss for Tennessee and Georgia
Tech Notre Dame and Colorado with wins. Colorado at home
beat number twenty two Iowa State twenty four to seventeen.

(01:41:11):
Pitt was a winner at number twenty five Florida State
thirty four to thirty one. Among the games in progress,
number ten Georgia has come back to tie it up
ten to ten at Auburn. We have about five minutes
to go in the third quarter. At usc the Trojans
lead twenty four to thirteen over fifteenth ranked Michigan mid
fourth quarter. It's late in the third quarter. At number
eleven LSU Tigers ahead of South Carolina seventeen to ten,

(01:41:35):
and after a lightning delay after the first quarter. In Tucson,
Arizona's game has resumed and BYU is leading fourteen to
ten at Arizona. Second quarter of play at number five
Texas A and m Aggie's lead Florida thirty one seventeen,
only about three minutes left, and the early fourth quarter
in the game. On Fox TV, it's Texas Tech rank
ninth leading Kansas thirty five to seventeen. Also in progress,

(01:42:00):
it's Purdue leading at Minnesota early fourth quarter twenty to thirteen,
and mid fourth quarter Clemson ahead at Boston College thirty
four to ten. Penn State lost its third game in
a row, lost at home to Northwestern twenty two twenty one,
and Penn State quarterback Drew Alar is out for the
year his senior year with a lower leg injury.

Speaker 2 (01:42:20):
Back to you, thanks Steve.

Speaker 3 (01:42:23):

sure he does it. If you're sure to follow the
podcast raty five stars. You can even provide a review

(01:42:44):
again just sharts Fox Sports Radio wherever.

Speaker 2 (01:42:46):
You get your podcast, and you'll find today's show posted
right after we get off the air without further ado.

Speaker 3 (01:42:52):
Moncie, let's get him in here. J D Pakel on
three College Football Insider. You can hear a show the
Hard Count podcast as YouTube. Wherever you find all of
that type of stuff is where you can find him
and on social media at JD Pickel spelled like pickle
with extra L. But j D, I think it might

(01:43:14):
have been one L too many for James Franklin and
Penn State today, one L too many. Like I know
that it's hyperbolat to be like you're gonna fire him
fifty million dollars buyout, but like, at what point are
you sacrificing the future of your program for this fifty
million dollars?

Speaker 2 (01:43:31):
And I like, are they there yet?

Speaker 6 (01:43:33):
It's I mean, I don't know. Fifty million is a
lot of money, and it's not a ninety of my money,
so I'm a little bit more free with how I
would maybe spend that when it comes to parting wage.
They won James Franklin, the tricky thing is he's never
going to lose enough to where it makes a ton
of sense on paper to spend fifty million to fire him,
Like even this year, if they go beat Ohio State

(01:43:54):
or they beat Indiana, that's a big if you're aff
losing to Northwestern USLA the last two weeks. But if
they were to do so like that, it's not a
difficult conversation to talk yourself into saving fifty million dollars
in saying, well, then there's the year strong maybe. Like
to me, the tough part with James Franklin and Penn
State is like that couple that's always happy, but they've

(01:44:15):
they're never happy enough to get married, you know what
I'm saying. It's like these are good, like hey, things
are great, Like you know, we're happy, we were able
to co exist here pretty well. My friends like her,
my friends like him. It's all good. But it's like, okay,
well the Wyronshall getting married. Well, I mean that's the
question with Penn State, Warrenshall winning. You're always happy, you're
always tending to and now we're at a point where

(01:44:37):
I wonder just how much these two losses are going
to are going to maybe perpetuate some things that otherwise
wouldn't have been in motion at this point. But that's
a pretty broad answer there. My take is, I think
it's a matter of if not when. It might not
be this offseason, it might not be in the next
few weeks. But I do think at a certain point

(01:44:57):
you're like, hey man, this was kind of the year,
brought a lot of these guys back to go get
something done. And you're not a bad coach, not a
bad guy, but this is this is very clearly not
going to end with the ring for either.

Speaker 5 (01:45:07):
But have Nico Imliama, Jerry Neuheisel and the UCLA Bruins
turn things around.

Speaker 2 (01:45:16):
You know it.

Speaker 6 (01:45:16):
Feels that way. It feels that way. Shoot, now what
is turned around?

Speaker 9 (01:45:21):
Entail?

Speaker 6 (01:45:22):
I think it all depends. It's all about a great
Philadelphy quote from Modern Family, The greatest things in life
can happen to you if you just lower your expectations.
Maybe you were just wins Hey, maybe we're we're on
our way here. If we're Nico and company, right, I'm hey,
let's go boy. Turned around is still a strong case.
The most interesting thing about this whole thing to me

(01:45:43):
with UCLA, like all of a sudden, looking kind of
frisky with them being in the head coaching market now
for firing to Sean Foster, I wonder how much more
attractive the UCLA job looks to a potential candidate. Now,
maybe that candidate's already in house, and you're like, hey,
we got a good thing going, fellow, let's keep what's
let's just hire we got on staff right now, let's

(01:46:04):
copy and paste the next year. But that's the most
intriguing part of this to me. If they can make
a bowl game build the statue to Jerry new Heisel.

Speaker 3 (01:46:12):
So uh JD if I am a the AD or GM, God,
never mind on a D or GM of Uh, I
don't know, say Perdue? How am I not looking at
my Let's just say, if I'm the president of the
University of Perdue, how am I not looking at my
AD and being like, why can't we be Indiana?

Speaker 2 (01:46:34):
Why aren't you Indiana? Like we've all, all of us
have sucked forever.

Speaker 3 (01:46:38):
Indiana somehow found a way in the last two years
to turn this thing into a two loss program or
three loss program in two years and culminating today I
shouldn't say culminating, but the most recent chapter added today
in Eugene, Oregon.

Speaker 6 (01:46:52):
It's it's such a tough comparison because Kurt Signetti in
that personality isn't Is it just something you can acquire
via the coaching carousel. But I think it's a very
fair question for that. I do think it almost hits
at this deeper thought. Across college football, we've seen personalities
at the top of programs, whether it be quarterback or coaches,

(01:47:13):
make a massive difference and allow these teams to do
more with a lot less on paper. Like Vanderbelt's a
great example. I'm asking the same questions that anybody else
across the secs who's underachieving. It's like, why is this
five to nine dude from New Mexico just carving us
up when we have a much better recruiting class, we
have more resource, we have a better roster. It's kind
of the same initial question with Indiana, and I think

(01:47:35):
some of it just goes back to the leaderships of
your football team, becomes the persona of your football team,
and Kurge Signetty God bless them, like run over a
bunch of dudes from JMU. Now he definitely has hit
in the portal market with the quarterback twice. So I
think that has to mention. I mean, I think the
irrational orderline, annoying confidence, it's infectious. And as you saw

(01:47:57):
that reflect today when I threw a pick six, they
you know, put themselves in a position where it's like, okay,
my monum savery war again. And obviously, in like a
lesser team, less confidence, team would have folded. And I
think due to Kurson Netti's personality and due to the
way they put that roster, because of you of the portal,
they were good to go. And then they obviously ended
up being the case with how they finished that thing out.

(01:48:18):
So the direct answer there is, I think personality is
a big deal, and it's not the whole deal, but
it's a big deal when it comes to fliping a
program around like in Indiana.

Speaker 4 (01:48:26):
Was it long ago that we saw Florida State go undefeated?
Was it long ago?

Speaker 5 (01:48:31):
And now the downfall is hard? Is there something you
can pinpoint as to why this fall has happened so
quickly and so hard for Florida State?

Speaker 6 (01:48:44):
You know? So the thing with so I got hammered,
not not in a literal, not in a liberal sense.
I want to choose my work carefully here, I was
hammered in our in our Week three pool. I want
to say it was that I put ou would go
rings every and I had Florida State much lower than
the rest of Republic. After they beat Alabama, they're saying, Jay,

(01:49:05):
you're hating on Florida State. You don't believe in the knowles.
You heard the works. I'm sure you'll hear the same thing.
But my take was always, like I've seen this before
from Tommy Castellana, Like I saw him on another team
by Boston College, like just absolutely terrify Florida State in
Week two of last year and then he did even
finish the season at the starting quarterback in Boston College.

(01:49:27):
So my thing was always, hey, is this a sugar
high or if this is like some real substance here
we have from what Florida State's pitching offensively, and I
think when you look at what they've done the last
couple of weeks, like one, they haven't handled successful, that's
been obvious, but two, like just the the year they
have offensively is pretty limited, which is going to allow

(01:49:47):
a lot of teams to hang around with them. Like
if Florida State doesn't have a ten plus point lead,
and they don't have everything firing offensively. It's it's tough
for them to totally pull away from teams. So with
that being the limitations, I think that's kind of what
you're seeing here with Porter to say. I don't think
Microvel is a bad coach. I don't think how he's
a bad player, But I do think they kind of

(01:50:08):
have this very narrow path of winning football games, and
I think teams are starting to figure that out, and
it's not the right tis not the right time to
have that get figured out early on the season where
you're trying to separate from the pack of the ACC
in October.

Speaker 3 (01:50:21):
So I'm sitting here watching Michigan and USC play and
Peacock or whatever the hell this is on NBC whatever
they just did like this melt.

Speaker 2 (01:50:34):
You know what a melt is, JD. But the melt
of like Michigan losing to Washington and like basically the
Big Ten losing to the Pac twelve over the last
few weeks. And my jaw literally dropped. Mance you saw
me and laugh. She thought I was thinking about the score.

Speaker 3 (01:50:53):
What I was thinking about is the idea that they
just completely erased the fact that USC lost by like fifty.

Speaker 2 (01:50:58):
Earlier this year.

Speaker 3 (01:50:58):
But I wanted to know, like a team that is,
you know, averaging Big ten play. Is this something that
people think is an actual thing that like the PAC
twelve former PAC twelve teams that are in the Big
ten are like competing at the top of the Big
ten save Oregon or is that off base?

Speaker 6 (01:51:18):
Yeah? Well, first I'll start with I had a producer
when I entered at Fox Chiefs Wood to melt was
at one point in time. The name escapes me, but
I do know what a melt is thanks to that producer.
But answer question, this is the first time I'm hearing
of that thought. I think Oregon losing to Indiana today
probably doesn't help that thoughts. If that's the PAC twelve

(01:51:39):
narrative that they're trying to perpetuate from the grave, what
I would say that it seems to be real is
I think traveling from coast to coast and playing at
different time zone is tough. I think it's probably like
a category three reason as opposed to category one. I
think category one as to yus, he's winning this game,
mark as Lincoln right is calling a freaking game and
us he's playing inspired up a bye week. I don't

(01:52:01):
think anything less of Michigan. I don't think anything less
of Like I think Penn State losing the Northwestern today
is a pretty good example as to like, yeah, it
probably wasn't great going across the country after you lose
to Oregon, but also the problems there are bigger than
just playing in a state with palm trees, you know
what I'm saying. So I think that's the big thing here.
But I mean, if the good folks that used to

(01:52:22):
be Pack twelve fans want to ride that narrative, like,
more power to you, but I'd have a hard time
buying into that being anything with real legitimacy.

Speaker 2 (01:52:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:52:32):
Literally my jog I was like, this is disgusting. You're
showing me UCLA Penn State like this, Like what are
we talking about?

Speaker 2 (01:52:38):
Guys? I get it.

Speaker 3 (01:52:39):
Michigan may be down right now, and they lost Justice
Hayes in this game, And I honestly like, going into
this game, I expected him to have like a bucks
seventy five rushing he goes out in the first quarter,
I believe, but usually has just they have been more
physical team this this game and you know when they're
sure own Moore has just got a Ferrari and it's like,
you know what the speed limit is?

Speaker 2 (01:52:58):
Thirty five? Guys, what do you want me to do?
What do you want me to do?

Speaker 6 (01:53:03):
Thanks, Martin, I know we're up against him, but Martin,
I want to get your take on this.

Speaker 2 (01:53:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:53:07):
I look at Michigan and I'm like, Bryce Underwood's awesome.
He's the future. Like he's just the first one there.
It's like your buddy has the suite apartment. He's telling
you about, Okay, put a pool table here. I'm gonna
put a TV here. Offer me like, great, when's that
gonna happen? I like the space. I like brus Underwood,
but like the spaces, you have to be decorated. I
bet they will go portal shopping this offseason and Bryce

(01:53:29):
under will be the first slide of that power point
with they picture receivers no on.

Speaker 3 (01:53:33):
The thing that gets me about this team is less
about I get where you're coming from.

Speaker 2 (01:53:39):
They do need outside help, that's clear. This seemed to me.
I'm watching USC's defensive line seeming to push him around.

Speaker 3 (01:53:45):
Like they get that doesn't feel like the Michigan that
used to exist in terms of they're gonna win the
line of scrimmage and we'll figure out everything else after that.

Speaker 2 (01:53:54):
Right. In fact, the team that won the national championship
never figured out how to throw the damn ball too effectively.
Do you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (01:54:00):
We're gonna win the lives scrimmage and we'll figure everything
else after that. And that's what I think is missing
from this Michigan team. But we'll have plenty more time
to talk about them as they are about to lose the.

Speaker 2 (01:54:09):
Freaking Lincoln riolets Who's four eleven first? Anybody good? Four
and eleven VERSU ranked teams and earlier this year lost
by a billion to a ranked team, And here we go,
Charon Moore, Way to go, pal Way to go, buddy.
Thanks Jad, thanks for coming on.

Speaker 6 (01:54:25):
Appreciate your night.

Speaker 2 (01:54:27):
Yes, sir, if you missed any of today's she already
did that part.

Speaker 4 (01:54:32):
He's just mad, everybody.

Speaker 9 (01:54:33):
I am just mad.

Speaker 2 (01:54:34):
I am mad.

Speaker 4 (01:54:35):
He thinks he has the answer.

Speaker 2 (01:54:36):
Because now I got to hear from this guy, I
and all the.

Speaker 4 (01:54:41):
Rest of buddy. Yeah, everybody year it is like it.

Speaker 2 (01:54:45):
It's one thing when your one losses the sixth Oklahoma sure, I.

Speaker 9 (01:54:49):
Haven't said anything.

Speaker 4 (01:54:51):
You've said nothing. You've just been there smiling away.

Speaker 3 (01:54:55):
I got the one quality loss. Just got burned in
up burned smoke by arch Man. Yeah, and it's just
like these games I was. I've been in Michigan fan
for a long time. I'll watch them stink. This seem
doesn't stink.

Speaker 2 (01:55:08):
This team frustrated, could be way better if it was coaching.

Speaker 5 (01:55:11):
Untap the potential. And they're not untapping it. Yes, they're
keeping it the lid on real tight.

Speaker 2 (01:55:18):
Yes, untapping untap it. Unscrew it.

Speaker 4 (01:55:20):
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (01:55:20):
Can we get a bottle opener?

Speaker 4 (01:55:22):
Let's go?

Speaker 2 (01:55:23):
Of course.

Speaker 4 (01:55:23):
Can we pop the champagne?

Speaker 2 (01:55:25):
Let's pop the champagne.

Speaker 3 (01:55:26):
Coming up next, take a look into this elimination baseball
game high drama in the Midwest. Martin Wis, Moncey Bolanos,
Fox Sports Radio, coming to you live from the Fox
Sports Radio studios. Martin Wis, Monseys. A tip of the
cap to the Milwaukee Brewers, Monzi. Yeah, you said you
expected to see this.

Speaker 4 (01:55:48):
I did.

Speaker 2 (01:55:49):
And I just know this. I don't think that I
didn't expect to see it. I just you know. I
I rt R root for Radio. Sure, and I just thought.

Speaker 4 (01:55:59):
Man, this story line if the Cubs would have won,
would have been great.

Speaker 2 (01:56:01):
Well, also the storyline if the Cubs lose. Sure, like
either way, either way, Like they're like, and I know
that Pat Murphy is going to go into the TV
later and be like, nobody, don't ask the med he
it's talking about us.

Speaker 3 (01:56:12):
And he could be talking about us, not talking about him. Sure,
but just the idea that these two teams like, cause
you know it's Chicago.

Speaker 2 (01:56:22):
Milwaukee is like the little brother, right.

Speaker 3 (01:56:24):
And Milwaukee is like middle finger salute to you, we
matter too, right, It's very much like Chicago Detroit energy.

Speaker 2 (01:56:33):
Like this is a thing that's like we don't think
that much about you, We think all about you, you
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (01:56:40):
And for the Cubs to acknowledge, Okay, Milwaukee's got one
up on us.

Speaker 2 (01:56:47):
Who do they got the manager? You know what we'll do,
We'll buy them.

Speaker 3 (01:56:51):
Right Like that's and and I am operating from this
as like the Cubs of it all, Like I'm a
Michigan fan, like this big wye, Like what do we do?

Speaker 2 (01:56:58):
We buy it? You know what I'm saying. We can't
beat them, we buy them, you know what I'm saying,
that's how it's gonna be, like, this is unacceptable. We
need five offensive linemen. Good thing, it's a transfer portal,
you know. Yeah, there's no excuses for this. And so
seeing that and watching you know, the scrappy upstart, best

(01:57:19):
team in baseball, right the Brewer But again like the
smaller market thing, that's just gotta feel. Just so Chef's
kiss for Milwaukee, everybody in Milwaukee and be like, oh,
you want our manager here, take them here.

Speaker 5 (01:57:31):
We'll get another and we'll still beat you at the
end where it hurts the most.

Speaker 2 (01:57:36):
We'll beat you because this is what we do.

Speaker 4 (01:57:37):
Because this is what we do, and we're gonna be
you and where it hurts the most in.

Speaker 5 (01:57:39):
This situation, Brewers were the hottest team since the All
Star break. They were the hottest team to end the season,
and I was surprised that it actually went to five games.
If I'm being honest, I thought Milwaukee was gonna have
an easier time. So give it up for the Cubs
defending you know, their home field advantage or their home
field whenever they played there.

Speaker 4 (01:57:59):
They won those games. But I'm not surprised about this.

Speaker 5 (01:58:01):
I expected Milwaukee I expected the I thought the Dodgers
would go on the road to start the championship series.

Speaker 2 (01:58:07):
You know mine.

Speaker 3 (01:58:07):
See, it's the best when you go on like social
media after and everybody's talking about what a game, but
then your team lost and it's like, actually, I thought
that game.

Speaker 4 (01:58:17):
Stunk about last night, I did not enjoy it.

Speaker 2 (01:58:21):
Watching, you know, was fun watching eight more innings of
baseball than I had to.

Speaker 4 (01:58:25):
No, I Martin.

Speaker 5 (01:58:27):
I was at the eighteen inning Dodgers Red Sox World
Series game in twenty fifteen where Max Munsey walked it
off in the eighteenth inning. I was I sat through
that because once you get to fifteen innings, if you
haven't left, you're not leading.

Speaker 2 (01:58:39):
Yeah, there's a level of plot committed, right, Like.

Speaker 5 (01:58:41):
I should have left in the thirteenth inning. And the
same thing last night. I was at my friend's house.
I should have left in the twelfth inning, and then
I just committed.

Speaker 2 (01:58:47):
One of my one of my buddies from college called
me and I was like, perfect timing.

Speaker 3 (01:58:51):
It's the third inning. Yeah, my wife's out of town.
I'm gonna sit down. I'm just watching a bug and
I went doing anything.

Speaker 2 (01:58:57):
We talked for five and a half hours and the
game hadn't ended yet, Like we were waiting for the
game to end, to go to bed, to get off
the phone and go to bed, and like I look up,
it's twelve fifteen. I don't stay up. This light old
close when I go out.

Speaker 5 (01:59:15):
It was a great game if you weren't a fan
of either team, it was a great game all around.

Speaker 3 (01:59:21):
I mean seriously, I woke up this morning like I
had like a non drunk hangover.

Speaker 2 (01:59:26):
I didn't drink anything at all. I had a headache
from like a stress headache from overnight watching just no
hit after no hit after no hit, strikeout after strike
out after strike out, just like I watched Michigan get
pumped today.

Speaker 4 (01:59:39):
Yeah, you've got a rough twelve hour

Speaker 2 (01:59:41):
Parritories and Jason Martin will have it all for your
next including in Michigan's embarrassment
