Speaker 3 (00:19):
So we dressed up. I thought I was killing it.
MONSI came in.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Here's just has the best Halloween costume I've ever seen,
to the point producer Ian when she walked in and
I saw her walk in the hallway, I almost.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Introduced myself because I did not recognize her.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
I always this close to introducing myself. I'm working with
to Go for three years. I was this close introducing myself.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
That is that is one of the better costumes I've
seen this this Halloween circuit.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I guess we'll post a picture of it on social media.

Speaker 5 (00:53):
You're gonna post it right now with the links so
you can tune in.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
And I'm telling you, I literally, to me, is the
wig and the glasses that really set it off the most.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
She kills it.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Any guesses, feel free to tweet at us, I'm at
Martin Wise, Moncey at Moncey Bolanos. If you care to

heard my voice, are anybody on this network over the

and add it and guess what we are dressed.

Speaker 3 (01:33):

Speaker 5 (01:36):
Now, Now to the bits now too serious because.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Monty came in here wig and glasses on it said,
this is all you get from me if you hear
any squeals, squelches, exclamations like Tony Romo.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
When Patrick Mahomes does.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Something crazy, he's like, I don't know, Jim, that's Mancey
reacting to Game seven exactly.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
I just want everyone to be aware, Like if you
ask me a question and I don't answer it properly,
it's probably because I wasn't listening and I was watching
the game, But just get me back on track. You
got me just like we last week. You know you
handled it well. As I was also watching the Dodgers game.
So just just reel me back in, real.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Me back in.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
I won't I won't steal anything from you. I have
my baseball here, I am holding on to it. It's
my baseball. It's definitely your baseball baseball.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
I'll tell you this.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
If you had told me when I was starting my
career in this business, when I interviewed Max Scherzer for
the first time, that fifteen years later he would be
pitching in the last baseball game of the year in
twenty twenty five, I'd be like, yeah, we have flying cars.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
Okay, yeah, Especially like in the last outing, we everybody
was like, he's his old man, Max's gonna actually be
able to do something. And he did help the Blue
Jays at Dodger Stadium somewhere he's very comfortable at. So
it's nice to see, you know, the unks still delivering.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
It really is so monci again, you live here in Dodgerland.
I vacation, vacation.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
And I have said in the past, through this Dodger
postseason run through the National League, it has felt like
very angels in the outfield, like the ball is bouncing
the right way right or the team right. And I
think like the clint essential moment is yesterday as Kik

(03:26):
Hernandez is running over to Justin Dean with his hands
up saying.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Don't you dare pick up that ball?

Speaker 2 (03:31):
That ball right, And that's just not even doesn't even
make sense in baseball, right, don't pick up That's like
the he don't pick up a fumble, you know what
I'm saying, Like, no, go get the ball the ball.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
No, do not pick up the ball.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
And honestly, if they, if they had, might not be
playing this game seven to day.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
Maybe I think they would have looked at it and
maybe still sent the runner back that was on the
verge of scoring. I think they would have looked at
it like it was such an unlucky play for the
Blue Jays and the luckiest play for the Dodgers. That
ball was well hit and the fact that it just
landed hard in the crevice. You were like, how how

(04:09):
did this happen? Again? Super unlucky?

Speaker 4 (04:12):
You guys playing basketball and you shoot it's called.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
And that that is so rare, still is more common
than this, Like you were just like, how did that happen?
And you know they played it right, But I'm telling you,
I think even if you would have played the ball,
they would have reviewed it. It seemed it seemed like
the right call, you know what I mean, Like it
did get stuck. It was going full speed that hit
and then just stopped moving. There was no wiggle room.

(04:41):
It was. It was insane. And you know, the Blue
Jays again unlucky. They had opportunities beyond that one down
to the final double out in the ninth inning. You
know that was that was bad base running, Like you
had one out and I get it, you're trying to score.
I understand all that, and it was a line drive.
But I maybe I'm crazy, but I don't think from

(05:02):
second I would have ran to third. I would have
watched it.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Well, you're supposed to be from from my understanding is
you know the balls in the year, you start sliding
over there lit or bet right, you know, Und'm saying
just in case it gets down. But ultimately, what you
cannot do is making out on the base paths.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Right.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
It's hard enough to get on the day on base pass.
You can't make it out on the base pass.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
It's the last game of the year, potentially, Yeah, you
just can't make that happen, especially to end the game
and you saw Dave Roberts make some I thought it
was interesting that that double play to end the game
was Hernandez key k Hernandez to Miguel Rojas, two guys
who are not the I mean, you look at the
MVP lineups right, and Rojas wasn't even playing bat.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Like. Rojas was a.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Guy that you know, Dave Roberts is looking down the
bench like you know, sometimes your last option is your
best stop right.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
Right, Like what do I do? And I did it
for a second. You know that move I wasn't. I
was not upset about. I get it you want. And
Miguel Rojas has is a good player, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Like like he's not a second year guy.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
Got at all. He's a veteran and he is going
to do more than not the right play. The desperation
move to me was moving Mookie Bets. That was a
how how how else do you want to protect this
guy even more when he bats in between Otani and
Freddie Freeman, Like I thought that was the desperation move
out of all the small movies he met. I was like,

(06:28):
you didn't need to move Mookie.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Okay, So here's here's the reason why I kind of
thought they did. I've been I've been going back and
forth with this.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
I was talking to uh, oh, you're a podcast co
host bo on the Sick Podcast.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
What's the exact exact name.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
It's the Sick Podcast, the Dodger Zone.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
The Sick Podcast colon, the Dodgers Zone, the Dodgers Zone.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
You gotta love it.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Just got a whole footnote and everything I was talking
to him about this. Would you quant how would you
define how sho hal Tani has been in this World Series?

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Would you think?

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Do you think consistent is a word you could use
to describe as his performance so far?

Speaker 5 (07:07):
I would like to yes, consistent and better than last year.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Well better than last year, that's for sure.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
Yes, better than last year and consistent and still exciting
like he he seemed. He seems way more comfortable. But
when he pitches, the hitting takes a back step, and
you can see it.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Because I agree with that, and I think you saw
that yesterday, Yes, right, and so for me or not yesterday,
but uh the last game he started in the UH
in the World Series.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
So for me, I would not say it was necessarily consistent.
Now his highs are mount Everest right like like we
saw I have. This is the Major League and the
Blue Jays quick, yeah, they just opted out.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Of like they said, we would rather give you a
base then you take to or take the take four
right like.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
And I know that maye it like like this This is.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Not like you hear that in high like high school
or college where yeah, one guy who's so much better
than everybody else, right, But I think that that honestly
because you know, if you're Mookie Bets, you know that
you got Otani in front of you, he's likely either
going to they're going to just give him the damn

(08:26):
base or whatever. Like you're in that position, I think
that could almost lead up to more pressure because like
you're the you're the like they don't walk Otani, however
many damn times they did in the eighteen inning game.
If Mookie Bets is doing if Mookie Bets is crushing it,
and I think that's something that in the.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
Bat, you know what I mean, fair fair, fair, But
on the other side of that, you're moving Mookie, you're
making him stand out that he's the problem. You get
what I'm saying, I mean, and I understand, but he's
also he is also Mookie bets that. Okay, in the
last couple of playoffs he is he especially last here.
You know, I understand all that, But at the same time,
it's Mookie bets. You can expect him or it shouldn't

(09:05):
surprise you if he does turn it on, it should
not surprise anybody. If he gets a hit and you
singling him out, it's just I don't know. Are you
got what I'm saying?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Like, well, see, I think it's like to me, I am.
We are in game seven of the World Series at
that point in time. I believe the first time he
moved in was game five, right? Or did he move
in game five and then drop him again game he
moved in game six and then he dropped No, No, he.

Speaker 5 (09:31):
Was still the same in game six.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
This is no. Game six is when he dropped the four.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
Right, Sorry I'm abused. Sorry, We're on seven right now, right.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
This is game seven.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Yeah, so I thought that it was. I really think
it had something to do with that. Well also too,
I think if you're Dave Roberts, those three guys you're
Otanis and Mookie and Freddy Freeman, like those are obviously
the heartbeat of this team very much in the same
way they've lad is for the Blue Jays, right, that's
the heartbeat.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Of the team.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
And if to me this is it's not like we're
gonna take you and put you on the bench, pal,
you know what I'm saying, It's like we need and
this is not a poe Head situation where we don't
want you to play no more at all.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
And I think that moving him from second to.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Fourth, where it's like the reason why the second the
two spot in the Dodgers lineup is so important.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
Obviously it's important across baseball, but when.

Speaker 5 (10:24):
You have you know, somebody that's ai created.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Version of what a perfect baseball player would be.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
In front of you, right, you're end up with more
like the cleanup spot historically is where you're gonna be
driving in runs.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
We're counting on this back. So while I agree that,
like it.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Could have been a moment of like you know what, Hey,
I don't trust you anymore.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
It's also it's not like we're dropping you the seventh.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
We're dropping you fourth where like we're expecting look if
every if everything works out, we want you to hit
a grand slam and and and then in the first inning, yes, right,
So it's I think if they had dropped him like
six or seventh, then it's like, hey, you don't trust
me anymore? Like and I think Mookie kind of responded.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
He did.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
He got a couple of hits. And it's hard. You know,
Muki has done so much for the Dodgers this year alone,
you know, like moving from right field to shortstop and like,
like sacrifice, sacrifice so much for the Dodgers that it's
just kind of like and I'm sure he didn't say anything.
I am just saying that. For me, it was you're
signaling him out by doing this. But I'm sure he
doesn't feel like that because he's a team player and

(11:32):
he's gonna do whatever he needs, as he has shown
all season by sacrificing his body going to shortstop position
that he is not familiar with in any way, shape
or form and ends up being a great defensive shortstop
for us by the end of the season.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Oh show, hey Otani on first right now with Sarsers
six pitches in. Will Smith the guy who replaced or
I shouldn't they replaced but took the two spot from
Mookie Betts after game shit, I mean during game Shakes
is now up to bed with the two strike count
as old Blue and Brown Eye, Max Schurz and himself
Science oh Vlat trying to make a good out at

(12:08):
first base here as he does advance the runner.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Now, this is college football, Big college football.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Saturday. We had the world's largest outdoor cocktail party. They
had a whole bunch of stuff going on. And there's
one thing that I've noticed, especially when it comes to
this one team in the SEC, that it reminds me
exactly of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Like the SEC team
did it wrong, the Dodgers did it right.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
We'll get through that in just a moment.

Speaker 2 (12:37):

It Smart and Wiss and Monsey Belanos on a Fox
Sports Saturday.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
It is for sure a Fox Sports Saturday.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Is the NBA is in full swing, or I should
say maybe in full bounce.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
Full bounce Baseball is in full swing. Really football and
full tackle? How about.

Speaker 5 (14:00):
It looks like the Blue Jays starting things off with
the hit already.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
And we talked in the first segment of the show
a lot about the Dodgers, and one of the things
that I said that I felt like the Dodgers did
well that a lot of college football teams could learn
from is paying the right players like you hear all
these college coaches say, I don't mind paying players, it's

(14:26):
paying the right players.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
And I think when you see the effort.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
From Shohei Otani, from Yoshinoba Yamamoto, and then finally from
Rookie Sasaki in a lesser extent than those first two,
but especially the first two, it's.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
Like, oh, I can't pay these guys enough. I cannot like.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
The value that you are providing is honestly at a
place that we cannot even quantify. Our models do not
exist to predict the percent change, do you know what
I'm saying. On the Blue Jay side of things, they
did it a little more traditionally, right, Obviously they they
because the thing that's interesting they missed out on a

(15:08):
lot of these guys that the Dodgers are trying to get.
That the Dodgers ended up getting right. And that's why
vladd Junior is still there. But just up and down
the line. Because you're watching this year, Joe Davis and
John Small's talking about it, it's all, oh, yeah, this
guy was in all this guy was in single life,
this guy was riding the bus, this guy was into
you know, he thought his career was gonna be over
until September when they called him up and all of

(15:30):
a sudden, he's hitting four hundred.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Like you know what I'm saying, Like that's just a
story of the Blue Jays.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
But it's hard to really know, right, if you're paying
the right, that's the whole trick, right, look at the
another one.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
That's what makes it.

Speaker 5 (15:41):
That's what makes hard. I mean, look at the Miami Dolphins.
The Miami Dolphins are a perfect example of trying to
do that, of pain all of these players and then
it just falls flat. After we saw what was it
two years ago where their offense was on fire, was
scoring seventy points.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
So I actually looked that up.

Speaker 5 (15:59):
Uh huh since that day, Since that day I looked
because I'll never forget.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
It, seventy to twenty over the Denver Broncos. Since then
they are twenty three, including their last win twenty three
and nineteen. Okay, right, and that was like you scored,
you literally beat an NFL team by f fifty.

Speaker 5 (16:19):
Points, and it's just not the same. But they tried,
they attempted to do it, put a super team together
and pay all these players, and you just it's you're
it's impossible to know, Y'ama Moto. You know, so many
people criticize the Dodgers for signing this man to a
three hundred plus million dollar deal without ever really playing
in Major League baseball, right, And last year he was good,

(16:42):
but this year he really was unstoppable at times. And yeah,
he got rocked. You know, the Brewers rocked him during
the regular season. It's not that he was perfect, but man,
it was pretty close.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
What the thing too, in the biggest moments, right, I
know that you said the Brewers rockings, So I'm not
just right to delete that. Yes, yes, would you go
and get twenty seven outs in the World Series game?

Speaker 5 (17:06):
That's incredible, right, like lived up to the moment, that's
exactly like.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
That's something that's the type that type of stuff is
not supposed to have.

Speaker 5 (17:14):
It's really not.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
And then to watch him get up in the eighteenth
inning and think, oh, okay, wow, and I know he
got I wouldn't say it was not nearly as great
yesterday as he was in the game too, No, he was,
but he was still, yes, pitched.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
Well enough to give him the win on and gave
up the one run on what was what? And I
think too, he got that one run.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Margin a lot of times that could just be one
bad pitch right, right, you know what I'm saying, one
bad hit right that went a mile exactly exactly.

Speaker 5 (17:43):
Yet for the Dodgers, who have two players Shani and
Yoshinobu Yamamoto were in a short amount of time with
the team have just risen to the occasion of whatever
is asked for them. And last year, yeah, Otani was
not good in the World Series, but you know what
doesn't matter.

Speaker 9 (17:57):
They won.

Speaker 5 (17:58):
It doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
And them to your point, Mookie Bets has been terrible
this World Series.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
But I mean, I mean terrible at the plate plate.
Let's say it like that.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Yeah, but if he comes today and is he's already
oh for one.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
But if he comes and he finishes this game three
for four, yep, with a Freddy Freeman style walk off
or something like that, like they're gonna be like they
would they I mean, don't get me wrong, they already
love him here, but they.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Will love him that much more they would love them.

Speaker 5 (18:26):
But at the same time, the comments would be like, well,
of course it's Mookie, he could do that anytime. Like
the it's almost like, I don't know if he would
be given the credit or if it would be like, well,
that's what they're paying you for. You are a former MVP,
you have been in a slup. This is what you
should be doing.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
You know.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
I'm now My basis of Dodger fandom is all the
people I work with Monday through Friday.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
Sure, and maybe they just put more pro Mookie they are.
I mean a lot of people just saying nobody dislikes
Mookie Bets.

Speaker 5 (18:56):
Nobody does dislike him.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
No, no, no, no, no, this is my favorite.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
My favorite thing about the Dodgers is like they all
kind of have something that's like a little like Mookie
Bets is going bald, you know what I'm saying, Freddie
Freeman his teeth.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
You know.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
It's like because they got everything else. You know what
I'm saying, They got everything else. You know what they
got they have for power for everything. I mean, Mookie Bets,
Mookie Bets was a goal love outfielder.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
And it goes to soret stop. It's like, oh, look
I could do bad here too. You know what I'm saying.
I could just you know, tie the lead, tie the
league for the most defensive run safe at a position
that I don't even play for real.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
You know what I'm saying. It's like all Freddy Freeman.
I could go to Atlanta and be great. I can
come to I could come to LA and be that
much better, right, you know what I'm saying, Like what
I'll show hel tany.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
I can just come here and just you know, hit
five fifteen home runs and you know what, to the
point the other team will quit and they won't even
picture me anymore. I would just go on walks around
the baseball stadium for every.

Speaker 5 (19:55):
Single time, every single time that they walked him. Oh yeah,
I as a Dodgers fan. I understand when people hate
the Dodgers. I get it.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
That's why. It just it makes me feel a little.

Speaker 5 (20:08):
You know, you can't have everything, but it seems like
they do right. Well, we'll see, we'll see, because the
Blue Jays are definitely giving them a run for their money.
That eighteenth any game to me, changed everything.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
Were you there? I was there? Did you stay all?

Speaker 10 (20:22):
I did?

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Of course?

Speaker 3 (20:24):
So you got there? How soon prior to first pitch?
Did you arrive?

Speaker 5 (20:28):
I was in my seats with a drink in my
hand around four thirty five, and I saw all the
intro from the very beginning, like the whole shebang. So
about four thirty five till almost midnight Lloyd at Mercy, Yeah,
it was. It was a long day. And luckily I
didn't work that day at the stadium. I took it off,
so I would have been there. There were at coworkers

(20:48):
there who were there ten am to midnight, so I
did not have to do that. So I was not
as long of a day as some of my cow
at game.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Being on Fox, I also knew, you know six basically
the entire production staff, yes, all.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
The hair and makeup people. Let me tell you something.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Not happy with the Blue Jay's decision to continue to
watch Sho Hale Toni because it's like, well, I want
to go home. That's why the best, this is really
really truly inside inside baseball, behind the fourth wall, whatever
the best sport to work on the production of NFL football,
because the most you will be getting his seventy minutes.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
That's it. That is the most basketball.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
That thing can go to overtime over over and over
six overtimes between Syracuseton a few years ago.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
A couple of ten some years ago, you know at
college football, I'm sitting here last year Georgia and Georgia
Tech a game that went I believe five overtimes right now,
college football overtime is stupid now, but again five over time.
And then you know baseball, they literally he played an
entire other game.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
Literally, and it was crazy. If you think about that
eighteenth inning game, if they would have just walked Oughtani
the entire game, the Dodgers wouldn't have scored any runs.
He was, I'm pretty sure responsible for all the runs.
He had the home run and I think he had
the RBI.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
That is true because you think, you hear eighteen innings,
you expect the score to be like twenty three, and it.

Speaker 5 (22:19):
Was right, it was not. And so like if you
think about if they would have just walked him every
single time, maybe not that I'm.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
For that, I just you know, you know, I am
in favor of just about everything that baseball has changed
over the last uh five years or so, except for
one thing.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
We're gonna get to that in just a second.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
After Steve de Seger shines up this program with some
class Steve, how you doing doing well?

Speaker 3 (22:50):
Thank you?

Speaker 10 (22:51):
And boy, it's that at tease I'm staying tuned, and
I'm calling all my friends to stay tuned.

Speaker 5 (22:56):
And also, Steve had to be here for the eighteenth
innian game. That's correct because I saw your newsfeed coming
and I was like, this man's stay is it sad?

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Well, you know it's weekend, so I guess we can
say this out loud.

Speaker 10 (23:08):
I had a lot of coworkers fired, and Thereforember, nobody
works after me. And therefore, and there if the game
goes eighteen innings, I'm here eighteen its. This is just
collateral damage. I will say I had a blast win
or lose with that game, and we were all here
having fun. In fact, Ben Maller was just joyous that
he had an update anchor live on his show.

Speaker 5 (23:28):
I love that it went that Lord by.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
The Way show.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
Hey.

Speaker 10 (23:31):
Otani had a bad World Series a year ago for
one reason and one reason only that he tore his
shoulder torn laboram surgery was postponed until after the series,
but he was hurt early in the series against the Yankees.
He is the starting pitcher in this game tonight, and
of course d H and leadoff man for the Dodgers.
It's scoreless top of the second Game seven of the
World Series at Toronto on Fox TV. Otani let off

(23:54):
the game with a single off Toronto starter veteran and
future Hall of Famer Max Scherzer, went to second on
a ground out great backhand play at first base by
vlag Guerrero Junior, and then on a deep fly ball,
Otani went to third. He was stranded as Mookie Bats
grounded out to short stuff to end the top of
the first. Then in the bottom of the first, Otani

(24:15):
really struggled at the beginning. Took a long time to
warm up, even get on the mound to warm up
for the bottom of the first. Allowed a leadoff single
to George Springer, but after a strikeout, he did strikeout
Vladimir Guerrero Junior for out number two, and Springer was
running and they easily caught him stealing at second base.
Right now, two outs, top of the second, scoreless Dodgers

(24:36):
at Toronto, and as MLB Network pointed out, really this
is game eight, after the eighteen inning affair that we
had absolutely Monday in LA. In fact, Monday, Max sures
or pitch four. In a third show, Hey Otani I
mentioned the starting pitcher for LA on three days rest tonight.
Tyler Glass Now is available in relief after getting the
save to save the season in Game six late last night.

(24:58):
It took him all of three p bitches to get
those three outs and the double play throwing from left
field to the second baseman end of the game. Arizona
Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is out again with the spraying foot,
so Jacoby Brissett will start again Monday night at Dallas.
Cowboys center Cooper bb is due to return. He's been
on injury reserve with a bad ankle. Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco,

(25:19):
with his bad shoulder, is planning to start against the Bears.
Chicago Bears running back DeAndre Swift is out this weekend
with a groin injury. In Chicago, running back Rashawn Johnson
is out with a back injury. Denver elevated veteran tight
end Mercedes Lewis to the active roster. Broncos will play
at Houston. Denver linebacker Dre Green laws officially back this
week after his one game suspension. The Eagles acquired former

(25:42):
Pro Bowl defensive back Jyre Alexander from Baltimore. Philadelphia's off
this week update deep flyout to the track ends the
top of the second still scoreless Dodgers.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
And Blue Jays.

Speaker 10 (25:54):
In college football, We've got games to update that are
in progress. At Tennessee, the ball's late first order lead
Oklahoma in a Top twenty match up ten to seven.
Nebraska at home leads USC seven to three early second quarter.
NC State, which is one in three in the ACC Conference,
is leading undefeated at a ranked Georgia Tech fourteen to

(26:14):
ten mid second quarter. Michigan only leading Purdue fourteen to
seven at halftime. Purdue oh and five in conference halftime
at number seven Ole Miss Rebels leads South Carolina seventeen
to seven. We already had wins today for Ohio State
in Indiana. Number five Georgia got a touchdown run in
Jacksonville to it with under five minutes left to beat
Florida twenty four to twenty. Texas at home defeated number

(26:37):
nine Vanderbilt thirty four thirty one. Vandy scored three touchdowns
in the fourth quarter to get close. SMU at home
in overtime beat number ten Miami twenty six to twenty.
Road wins for Notre Dame, Texas Tech, Virginia, Louisville, and
for West Virginia, which was oh and five in the
Big Twelve Conference, but won at number twenty two Houston

(26:57):
forty five thirty five. The late game in a couple
of hours, Utah host Cincinnati. NHL wins for Boston and Nashville.
NBA Sacramento one at Milwaukee won thirty five one thirty three,
Zach Lavine thirty one points, and Memphis guard John Morant,
after his comments last night, was suspended for the Sunday
game they'll have due to conduct detrimental to the team.

(27:18):
There is a late game in an hour and a
half in the NBA, a regular season game in Mexico
City Detroit against Dallas. The Mavericks Anthony Davis is out
for at least two games with what they call a
low grade left calf strain.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
Back to you, thanks Steve for the best pre game
show every weekend.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
Be sure to tune into Fox Sports Radios Countdown the
kickoffers ended by bet MGM every Saturday and Sunday morning.
We'll count you down all the biggest games for three
hours right up until kickoff, for all the best plays
and up to the second injury.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Newston.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Then the countdown to kickoffers ended by bet MGM every
Saturday and Sunday morning right here on Fox Sports Radio
and the I Heart app. So, as I was saying, again,
baseball has done a lot of really really good thing
a lot of really really good things, especially with the innovations.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
I don't love the ghost runner.

Speaker 5 (28:09):
During the regular season.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
I don't love that.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
I don't love it either, But then I understand exactly
you see it in postseason how it can really elongate
a regular season game. And so you're just going on.
So the three reason I'm.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
With you, the reason why I don't love that one,
and the rest of everything else, the expanded base is
the pitch clock. Those don't fundamentally change the game, the
way the game is played. They don't change the strategy
of the game. They don't shouldn't change anything. Like you
know what I'm saying, you're still if you're gonna steal,
the situation to steal remains the situation to steal, right

(28:45):
throwing over. I don't love that one, but I okay,
I understand it a little bit more. What I will
never understand and not be okay with is holding up
four freaking fingers to send the best player on the
other team to first base.

Speaker 3 (29:01):
That's ridiculous and it's gutless and his cowardice. Make the
pictures like I'm watching seven, I'm in inning fifteen. Okay,
I've been watching this thing for fifteen freaking innings. I
can't even.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Multiply how quickly how many outs that is that I
have seen, all right a lot, and I gotta sit
here and watch the reason we're all here. We're here
for the stars. We're here for the stars. Now, I
get it now. Now I won't watch a Tommy Edmand
get the NLCS.

Speaker 3 (29:30):
MVP, but we're here for the stars, right right right,
We'll watch an Aaron Boone go over the over the
over the porch and Yankee Stadium twenty years ago.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
But we're here for Derek Jeter. Okay, we're here for
Alice Rodriguez. Make the picture. Throw the ball because.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
MANSI, you know this better than I do. It is
hard to relocate and find the strike zone again after
you just had to throw the ball to the first
to the damn dugout four plays in a row, pitches
in a row, to then relocate and find the zone
is brutal.

Speaker 5 (30:06):
But I hear what you're saying, so all he's gonna do. Though,
if it goes back to it, then the catcher is
just gonna stand up, stand off to the side, and
they're gonna lob some balls off to the side.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
But you know what that is to me at in
a game again, that eighteen inning games? Sure you're telling
me that, I mean so so, just old Tany got walked.
I think it was five times.

Speaker 5 (30:28):
Four times, yea, four times?

Speaker 2 (30:29):
All right, that's sixteen pitches that Blue Jays pitchers didn't
have to throw our sixteen tosses whatever you want to
call them. Sure, sixteen times that Blue Jay pitchers did
not have to rear up and throw the ball at
home plate.

Speaker 5 (30:40):
And she's gonna be a lob Is it really a pitch?
Is it really them throwing their arm? Like you know
what I'm saying, like, are they really adding four pitches
if they're just lobbing the ball to a catcher that's
going to be standing off to the side.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
I want to see it done.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
I think watching that game, my take with the intentional
walk was not punitive.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
Enough for the team that issues it. Like it's It's
like to me, it's like hack a shack. But the
difference is like.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
There's no amount of time like you there's no after
a while, you get you're in the bonus, then you're
in the double bonus.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
Then you're usually get two shots regardless.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
Right, you know what I'm saying, Like, after a while,
the penalty increases and increases and increases.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
In the sixteenth inning, the penalty is the same. Congratulations,
you just get one base because we don't want to
give you two or three. I think that that it
should be worse than that.

Speaker 4 (31:33):
Guys, say, say a few years ago when the Chiefs
Niners Super Bowl went to overtime because World Series super Bowl,
that's you know, it's a comparison there. Imagine if you
know when they went, they were just allowed to say, uh,
if the Niners were allowed to just say, okay, Travis
Kelsey has to sit out for overtime.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
Like that's ridiculous. It's like it doesn't fit for any
other sport. Right game, Game one of the Finals, Lebron's
last time in Cleveland. In Cleveland, we had forty nine
and then finished with fifty one, right because Jr. Called
the time out. What if Lebron, you know what, Lebron,
you can't shoot with your right hand for the rest
of Like, what are we doing?

Speaker 5 (32:08):
Y'all are triven? You're driven here, hold this ball, keep on,
keep going with your karen self. Go ahead, go ahead,
go ahead, you're triven. It's not that serious. I I don't.
It does not bother me like that, not even a
little bit. It's annoying because you want to see Otani.
But the act. You want to see the act. That's
what's bothering you. You want to see the act.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
I want to see the act because then I do
get to see I mean, I get to see anything.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
Listen, but I've Phototani just swung it one butel a
hold on you an intentional walk pitch before right.

Speaker 5 (32:42):
But but that's what I'm saying. They're gonna make it
so we're like the catcher is literally so far off
the plate.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
To not make sure you don't think you don't think
that there's any validity to the concept that I just
put forth, that there's no validity to the idea that
after you throw the ball, especially if you're the same
if you're the same hand as the batter, so you
got to throw across home plate to the catcher who's
signaling for the intentional walk that there's no difficulty because

(33:08):
you're only issuing these intentional walks in high leverage and
high stress situations, right, So you're not doing this to
start off the game or christ so in a high
leverage moment after you just had to wing the ball
out far off the plate, there's no nothing that says
it's a little harder to find the strike zone after that.

Speaker 5 (33:28):
I just don't think they're actually pitching it, so I
think they're lobbing it. I don't think they're getting out
of their zone. I think if I'm the pitcher, I'm
literally gonna be like, all right, go as far where
can he stand to make this obvious that I'm walking him,
And I'm just gonna lob the ball I'm talking.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
About for the next batter, for the mookie bets. That's
what I'm.

Speaker 5 (33:45):
Saying, Like, I don't think they're actually pitching where they're
getting themselves out of a sink, which is what you're saying,
Like you want them to get out of a sink.
That's why you want them to do this.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
I want to see if it could happen.

Speaker 5 (33:53):
I don't think they would actually throw a pitch like
that in that type of throw to get them out
of sink. I don't.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
I just feel like because you I ninety nine times
out of one hundred, right if there were when they
were throwing this, you know, catcher would catch the ball,
Pitcher would toss it over to catch catch.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
What if he drops? You know what I'm saying?

Speaker 1 (34:12):
Like shit, like what if?

Speaker 9 (34:14):
What if?

Speaker 3 (34:14):
Like ninety nine times out of one hundred in the NLCS,
the Phillies reliever would have gone to.

Speaker 5 (34:20):
First base make the play?

Speaker 9 (34:21):
Right?

Speaker 3 (34:22):
But that was one hundredth time and.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
It didn't work, you know what I'm saying, And he
made the wrong decision and then bloomloads the dynamite.

Speaker 5 (34:28):
You would have you would have sold me earlier on
if it's because you're saying, like, make the play, I
want you to have to make the play.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
I think you should have.

Speaker 5 (34:33):
You have to make the play. That's what you're saying,
right Like.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
Oh yes, silly me antiquated opinion. I think you should
have to play the sport to win the game. I
know that's old school now, especially as you see uh
Gunner stocked and sliding at the two yard line.

Speaker 5 (34:51):
Seriously, uh No, I think that's not gonna happen, Martin,
maybe you can get them to change it just for
the postseason, maybe for the postseason to the postseason.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
That would say, for the postseasons, there's no ghost runner
in the postseason, right for the postseason, the.

Speaker 5 (35:04):
Change for the postseason, and then make them actually pitch
for the regular season.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
I'm okay with I got one hundred sixty two. I
definitely don't need eighteen innies at any of them. You
know what I mean. No, for Shure, I don't need
eighteen innies and none of these. All right, we could
do all of these, but honestly, if you if they
want the cap games at twelve innings, you know what
I'm saying, something like that.

Speaker 7 (35:23):
Flip a coin after twelve innings, he send everyone home.

Speaker 5 (35:26):
That's how I fell. After seventeen innings, I was like, oh, guys,
please wrap this up.

Speaker 3 (35:31):
Colorado Rockies. They finished seventeen fifty three and forty six,
forty six ties of one to one. All right, cover
it up.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
Next, we'll play an edition of Sports Cord Guilty or
Not Guilty?

Speaker 3 (35:45):
I tell you this, Monti's hallowing costume. Guilty.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
Wow, I heard something just now. I don't think I've
ever heard from a Dodgers fan take Otani out. And
I'm just kidding. Nobody has been a little bit a
little shaky on those three days rest a little bit.

Speaker 5 (36:08):
I three days rest, come on. And the reason, the
real reason I think he started is because of the
whole DH rule. Right, like him starting, he can stay
in the DH position. If he would have come in
as a reliever, all of that changes, he would have
had to go play in a position after that. Sure,
so that's why really he's the starter. But getting out
of a bases loaded jam, yeah, it's time like, don't push,

(36:28):
don't push your luck. I understood that the bullpen has
a lot of them question marks surrounding it. You know,
I don't know who comes out next either. I have
no idea, maybe Emma Chen. I don't know who the
Dodgers ring out next. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
Well, we'll find out in three outs. We will. But
now it's not for sports.

Speaker 4 (36:45):
Court, all right, guys, that's right, it is time for
sports court. I have a list of people from around
the world of sports that we're gonna put on trial
here in the sports court. I'll present their case and
then it's up to you guys, the jury, to tell
me whether they are guilty or not.

Speaker 7 (36:59):
Get were we ready?

Speaker 5 (37:01):
Ready?

Speaker 3 (37:01):
Dude?

Speaker 4 (37:02):
All right, let's start with this. UCLA stands accused. I
guess we'll say UCLA decision makers stand accused. So a
new lawsuit filed by the City of Pasadena alleges that
UCLA has quote long been negotiating behind closed doors to
move its home football games from the Rose Bowl to
Sofi Stadium. This is despite their standing lease that runs

(37:23):
until twenty forty four. So, in a nutshell, UCLA is
trying to move their home games to Sofi. So what
do you guys think about that? Guilty or not guilty?

Speaker 7 (37:30):
We'll start with you, Watson.

Speaker 5 (37:31):
You know I saw this story, but they said behind
closed doors right like little shady. If it's true, I
don't know how much it's true behind it, but I
feel like you really want to move. I'm gonna say
not guilty because I don't faults. There's no there's no way.
There's got to be more of the story that we're
we don't know yet. Why would you want to leave

(37:53):
the Rose Bowl? Why would you want to play at Sobi?

Speaker 4 (37:55):
No?

Speaker 5 (37:55):
I say it not guilty.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
I'll go guilty his ass in jail, because they really
should be trying to move like to modern day high
school stadium or something like that. Why so you can
have to have any more less people, like have any
more empty seats at your stadium.

Speaker 7 (38:11):
Yeah, that's a good point.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
Really, nobody goes to the Rose Bowl, so it'll be
a shorter drive that nobody takes to UCLA to So far,
what are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (38:20):
I get it. You'd beat the number two team in
the nation this year. Congratulations, they fired to come.

Speaker 4 (38:23):
Yea like, if they're gonna get out of their lease early,
make it some more closer that students can actually get to.

Speaker 3 (38:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (38:29):
So far is that's not even close, not even close.
And let's move on though. Lamar Jackson stands accused.

Speaker 4 (38:35):
So if you guys remember last week it was a
little bit of a story that the Ravens removed things
like ping pong tables and video games from their locker
room amidst their tough start to the season. Well, quarterback
Lamar Jackson admitted in a press conference this week that
it was actually his idea to do all that to
remove those distractions.

Speaker 7 (38:49):
So Lamar Jackson guilty or not guilty?

Speaker 3 (38:52):
What do you think Martin not guilty?

Speaker 2 (38:56):
Part of the reasons he's one to five because you
got hurt, not because they were playing Grand Theft Off,
not because they were playing Madden in the locker room.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
You got hurt. That's why the team sucks.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
You got back and all of a sudden you scored
twenty four points and hold the other team to six
and they fire their GM. Guilty. I this is fake
bravado for sure.

Speaker 5 (39:14):
I mean guilty, absolutely. It was just I have a
hard time believing that your team was playing these games
when you were losing. You like, those things probably had
spider webs on them. Nobody was touching them. But that's
what we want to tell the story.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Joe Davis and Johnson Maltz after the eighteen games said
the Blue Dizen are playing Dance Dance Revolution or whatever
the hell he was playing in the clubhouse.

Speaker 4 (39:36):
Before they worked out for them. All right, next up,
John Morant stands accused. Now you guys have been hearing
Steve de Sager. You mentioned this in his update, but
the Grizzlies have suspended their star point guard one game
for conduct detrimental to the team. It comes after the
team lost to the Lakers yesterday and in the post
game when I asked about what the team could have
done differently, Morant said, to quote, ask the coaching staff

(40:00):
Moran's guilty or not guilty?

Speaker 7 (40:01):
Moncy?

Speaker 5 (40:02):
Straight to jail, absolutely guilty, straight to jail.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
Not only guilty. What's the ass in? What's the deef?

Speaker 1 (40:10):
Right?

Speaker 5 (40:10):
What's what is your issue? What are you mad about?

Speaker 4 (40:14):
Honestly, like three games into the yearly that, but like
last year, you're throwing grenades into the crowd, covering.

Speaker 3 (40:20):
Your ears supposed to be doing that.

Speaker 5 (40:22):
You're already being in trouble, Like what are you doing?

Speaker 3 (40:24):
My bad?

Speaker 2 (40:25):
That only made you the second overall pickle and maxed
you out, made you and you can't even be bothered
to play hard defense?

Speaker 3 (40:32):
Do you watch the play? Griffin is like John Murray,
you gotta try hard to please? Will you please play
some defense?

Speaker 5 (40:40):
Absolutely guilty?

Speaker 1 (40:42):
Look him, don't listen Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (40:48):
You know I was waiting for Monsey to look up
just now because she was down in her computer.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
And in the the split second, the moment it took
for Fox Sports Radio to the big Man Voice of
God come and introduced say that it's a Fox Sports Saturday.
After Steve de Sega said I'm Steve the Seger, and
before Monzi and I started talking, Bobaschet just went yard
Bamn three to nothing Toronto Blue Jays, and Monty looks

(41:15):
up literally two second before I turn my microphone, goes
did he just had.

Speaker 5 (41:19):
A home run?

Speaker 3 (41:21):
And I kid you not, as Monty is at a
loss for words right now, I'm as soon as you're ready, sweet,
as soon as you're ready. Manzi for the last five
minutes has been yelling at the TV You've got to
take Otani out of this game. And the first matter
of this inning, she was like, oh, I don't like
that pitch on the one two count, and then after
the intentional walk of La Guerrero, she's like, Wow, you

(41:44):
know what, Martin, that four pitch take you had five
minutes ago. I bet the Blue Jays would have liked
to see o Tani have to pitch four times because
he doesn't have it.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
And then before we even get an opportunity to talk
about it, Bobashett, often knee injury, hasn't played in weeks
come in in the World Series. Another kid of a
pro former pro Dante vishek comes and just boom, MONSI
are you ready?

Speaker 3 (42:07):
Do you want to keep going? Because I can if
you're not.

Speaker 5 (42:10):
Thanks man, Man, that was rough. You just saw it
literally happening, like you were like, this is not going well?
Why is he out there still pitching? You could tell it.
You could tell you the way every like George Springer,
who is hurt, got a great hit off of oh

(42:30):
Toni because the pitch rap before was wild.

Speaker 3 (42:32):
He knew it.

Speaker 5 (42:32):
He was like, oh, it's gonna be an easy one
because he has to throw it down the middle or
else I'm gonna get walked.

Speaker 3 (42:36):
Springer has great career numbers against Otani.

Speaker 10 (42:38):
Yeah, like it.

Speaker 5 (42:40):
You could. You could just see it happening as it happened.
And even though I knew what was happening, I can't
believe it.

Speaker 2 (42:48):
And I think the thing that and you talked about
this off the air. I want to give you a
chance to explain it to America. The reason why I
show heyl Tony started this game in the first place.

Speaker 5 (42:58):
Yeah, it has to do with the d H position
because if he would have come in as a reliever,
then he couldn't be a DH and he would have
had to play a position, which Dave Roberts, you know,
a few days ago before game six actually talking already
about Game seven. I know he literally was trying about
game seven stuff before playing Game six that he said, Oh,
Tony might play the outfield, and it's because of this

(43:20):
DH thing if he was gonna come in as a reliever,
So they put him out there because now he can
stand as a DH. That's why he started. And your
pitching staff is so up and down, up and down,
up and down.

Speaker 3 (43:34):
It has undesirable after the starter, right, and even after
you know, some of you'd rather some of the starters
haven't been no bad, but it's like once you get
to the bullpen and you know he canceled Christmas. Uh,
so you end up trying to get trying to steal
some innings here, right, you're trying to steal some outs.
You know, obviously you got to get to twenty seven.

(43:55):
Oh Tony got six.

Speaker 5 (43:56):
Yeah he did, and he need to go back out
for that third one.

Speaker 3 (43:59):
You can aim in here said it, and Steve de
Seger even came in here and was talking.

Speaker 5 (44:04):
You know, kind of a basis loaded situation in the
second inning. That was it like don't push your luck,
I think is what I said.

Speaker 3 (44:10):
Exactly, don't push your luck.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
And you know we've seen several different times now and
this is actually, i think one of the stories of
the World Series. They're showing the graphic on it right now.
Toronto has been a crooked number team. In the games
that they have won. They're putting up multiple runs in inning.
And to your point, in the eighteen inning game, oh
Tani responsible for the Lion's share of RBI in that

(44:34):
our run scored in that game, right, RBI in then
runs he scored himself, right, Like, the Blue Jays are
scoring three runs in inning, four runs in inning, and
that's hard to come back from when you don't have
a bullpen that can just kind of cut the water
off of the other team's offense and allow your guys
to get on base and score.

Speaker 5 (44:52):
Yeah, and you know, it's just black and white from
like last season right in the postseason, where it's like
our bullpen was the reason you won last year, and
then here it is and it's like we're actually not
winning because of the bullpen. So it's just like crazy,
how one one season everything changes and here we are
and the Blue Jays score. I think this one hundred

(45:13):
and four runs this postseason. One hundred and four runs.

Speaker 7 (45:17):
Pretty good. That's that is, that's.

Speaker 5 (45:19):
Ridiculous, it's pretty good. That's pretty good. That is that
is darn good. Good for the Blue After that eight
the eighteenth inning game changed everything. And also, like if
you paid attention during that eighteenth inning game, Vladimir Guerrero
Junior was the only one that actually stayed in the
entire game. The Blue Jays pulled their starters early, early,

(45:39):
one by one.

Speaker 2 (45:39):
They were just like, you know what whatever, and the
broadcast was and the broadcast was was painting it as
John Schnyder being aggressive, trying to win the matchup, trying
to because like you can only win the game at
certain points of time, especially in baseball, right, there's certain
points of time where where there're the leverage is that
much greater than others, like the beginning of the you

(46:00):
know what I mean, especially when you're the team batting
in the top half of the inning, when you get
the extras, you really got to take your opportunity to
try to tackle on runs. And so they were the
broadcast was is saying, oh, this match up here, that
match up here, left, the left, the righty, righty. But
to your point, that ended up with a lot of
guys sitting on the bench for the last three innings

(46:21):
of the night, the last four innings of the night,
last six innings of the night.

Speaker 5 (46:23):
And then they go and win the next two games
after And you would think that, like after losing in
a tough eighteen inning game, that like the Blue Jays
weren't gonna come out so hot. But yeah, like you said,
players were resting. They came out and they won the
next two, which I was so surprised to see. But

(46:43):
good on the blue Jays again. They they they're doing
it right. They here's the thing, it's like the Brewers
are similar to the Blue Jays, except the Blue Jays
do everything better, Like they do all the little things
plus the big things. Well, the Brewers did all the
little things and we're hoping to chip away at the
dodge little by little. They do all the little things
Toronto does, and then they do the big things.

Speaker 3 (47:05):
And they're just and if you're doing all the little
things and you're doing the big things, there's not many
things left, not many things left. They're in the MLB postseason.

So we could go a few places here Where we going?

Speaker 5 (47:33):
Where are we going?

Speaker 3 (47:34):
We can go to.

Speaker 2 (47:35):
College football we saw a star in name only Survive.
Or we could go to you know, the big rivalry
game that was much closer than it should have been.

Speaker 3 (47:49):
Or we can go to the NFL. Dealer's choice.

Speaker 5 (47:52):
Let's let's go to college football. Okay, let's go to
college football.

Speaker 4 (47:57):
So.

Speaker 3 (47:58):
Texas.

Speaker 1 (47:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
Last week, me and you were sitting in these chairs
and Diana Rossinia reported that Steve Sarkisian didn't exactly say
no to the NFL, right, and then she kind of
like backtracked a little bit, But the main thing was,
it's like when somebody asked you if you're married, the
only answer is yes, of course, right, you know what.

Speaker 3 (48:20):
I'm saying, Like, there's no way to be like like
you might as well have that, but you know what
I mean, Like if you start with that one, then
it's like, eh, no, the only answer is a definitive yes, right.

Speaker 2 (48:33):
So like when asked are you happily married with Texas,
Sarkesian did not have an ipound the table.

Speaker 3 (48:40):
Absolutely, yes, right, you know it depends on what days.
So fourth quarter the ago Pabia.

Speaker 2 (48:48):
Mister petitioned for an extra year at college football himself, twenty.

Speaker 3 (48:53):
One unanswered in the fourth quarter and an on side kick.

Speaker 2 (48:59):
That first of all made me mad at the NFL,
because look at what you've taken from us.

Speaker 3 (49:04):
Look at what you've taken from us. And secondly, honestly,
I don't know if I.

Speaker 2 (49:09):
Felt like, oh, Texas is you are the luckiest, you know,
You're just the luckiest that could possibly be out.

Speaker 3 (49:17):
There, or if it was like Vanderbilt, that's like Texas
is supposed to be Vanderbilt.

Speaker 5 (49:26):
Right, But because of the way the season has started,
we're in this position where you're like, oh, Vanderbilt is
nine nine ranked and then Texas literally not ranked two
weeks ago. Literally remember the time shouldn't have been. It
shouldn't have been. So it's like, this is not the
way you thought this matchup would be if we would
have talked about at the start of the season and
then here we are. But like, I mean, do we

(49:49):
This is where we have to give credit to arch Manning.

Speaker 3 (49:51):
Right in this one he played, I'd say this he
has improved.

Speaker 5 (49:56):
He hasn't dramatically yep.

Speaker 2 (49:59):
From we week one, two, they are now to week eight, right,
he has improved dramatically nine nine. It's week nine now.
I think they played eight games. I thought because they's
six or two whatever?

Speaker 3 (50:12):
Okay, yeah, David, he but I would say week one
looked so bad. That is like which hand does he
throw with?

Speaker 5 (50:25):
Which we sat here and talked about it. Where we
were like what were we told? Why were we excited
to see this man be the quarterback for the Longehorns.
You guys kept telling us, oh all this is He's
gonna be so good. He's a Manning And what an
underwhelming start to the season for arch Manning. Game after game,
and we now have.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
I think, adjusted the expectations so much that like we're
stood up and be like a guy who got outscored
twenty or nothing in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (50:56):
Actually played well, right hand?

Speaker 2 (51:00):
Good for the kid, right, And I think that as
we've seen, he's gotten better over time. Far from the
number one, oh foall pick, far from like a potential
Heisman winner. But the thing that matters the most as
that on side kick bounced through not one, not two,
not three, not four, not five, but six different hands
attached to Vanderbilt players.

Speaker 5 (51:21):
It was unreal, but it was.

Speaker 1 (51:22):
It was a rain.

Speaker 2 (51:23):
Obviously, it was a rain, and through those rain drops,
Texas's playoff hopes remain remain alive.

Speaker 3 (51:31):
And if you told me after week two, I'd have
been like, yeah, all right, no way.

Speaker 5 (51:36):
You're like you were ready to send them pack. You
were you And I don't blame you. I don't blame you.
But I when I saw the beginning of this game,
and I was like, is arch Manning actually playing well?

Speaker 9 (51:47):
Like?

Speaker 5 (51:47):
Is he actually making decisive throws? Like it seemed like
he knew what he was doing, you know what I mean.
He's like, I'm I'm going this is what I want
to do, and I'm gonna execute it. I'm gonna throw
the ball right. It seemed like he was way more
comfortable today than I've seen him throughout this entire season.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
Which honestly is the most important thing not only for
Texas but also for Steve Sarkisian seriously, because we are
at a place now in college football as a guy
who is a fan of what you would consider one
of the blue bloods of college football, right, Michigan University

(52:24):
of Michigan.

Speaker 3 (52:24):
There is no excuse in the year.

Speaker 2 (52:28):
Twenty twenty five of our Lord Jesus Christ. There is
no excuse to not have to not have a quarterback.
If they have quarterbacks at places like Vanderbilt and places
like Indiana, Michigan better have a quarterback. Texas better have
a quarterback. LS, you better have a quarterback, right, and
that's why LS, you don't have a coach no more? Right,
you know what I'm saying, Like Pennas State, you better

(52:48):
have a quarterback, and that's why you don't have a
coach no more. One of the reasons, you know what
I mean. Tennessee, now we better had a quarterback. And
you know what they did, said we can't pay that
much for but we are not walking into this year
without somebody. Joey Angelar, come on down, right, and it's.

Speaker 5 (53:06):
Worked out for them, And it's worked out because why
you have a quarterback.

Speaker 2 (53:09):
There's in the world where you can spend to buy
there is no excuse to not have a quarterback. And
when you have paid the most money that you can
are reportedly out there for one like arch Manning, like
Steve's Artisian and that nil collection to get him in
the building.

Speaker 3 (53:31):
And this is your first return on investment. It's like
I was telling a few.

Speaker 2 (53:35):
Weeks ago, I was telling our producer in Kevin O'Connell
needs to really play this right with JJ McCarthy, because
if he doesn't, he's gonna have two quarterbacks that walked
out the door and they gonna be looking at him.
All that genius quarterback guru stuff is flying all right
out the window.

Speaker 3 (53:49):
It could be the same thing for Sark.

Speaker 5 (53:51):
You're saying to hold on to JJ McCarthy, not let him.
What are we holding on to?

Speaker 2 (53:55):
No, no, no, no, no, I'm saying he better play
this right because if you look at right now, you
look at the MVP odds, and I don't have no
committed to memory, but I know this has to be
true that Daniel Jones and Sam Donald have to be
in the top ten.

Speaker 5 (54:07):
Probably of the Daniel Jones yeah, no, yeah, for sure,
you said Sam Donald as well. I don't know about
Sam Donald, but Daniel Jones for sure either one.

Speaker 2 (54:15):
But okay, if Sam Donald's not in the top ten,
Jackson Smith and Jigma for Offensive Player of the Year.

Speaker 5 (54:20):
John Taylor is right there, so like, these offenses.

Speaker 2 (54:24):
Are clearly humming with these quarterbacks who were all sitting
in Minnesota's practicability last year.

Speaker 5 (54:31):
You're right, they let go of so many quarterbacks that
could have helped them this year. Like right now, I
bet you he's like, man, I wish Kirk Cousins was here.

Speaker 3 (54:41):
You know, I don't know if I go that far,
because listen, I just say this, the Miami Dolphins actually
look good on defense after Kirk Cousins played that game
for the Falcons.

Speaker 5 (54:54):
I mean, but the Falcons are just so I don't know.
I'm gonna blame coaching right now for the Falcons up
down in inconsistencies with Atlanta. I'm gonna say it's the
coaching because I can't. I don't know what I'm gonna get.
I don't know what Falcons team I'm gonna get. Whether
Michael Pennick Junior is in or not. I have no idea.
It's frustrating. The Atlanta Falcons are frustrating as a team

(55:16):
if you're trying to figure them out. Back to this though,
back to Texas them coming kind of like coming out
and looking this good mix. Next week's matchup actually exciting.
They're playing Georgia actually exciting. A couple of weeks ago
you would have be like, Oh, that's gonna be that's
gonna be a game I'm not paying attention to a

(55:37):
couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (55:37):
That's a game Georgia just can't slip off right right, Like,
if you're if you're serious, Georgia is gonna make urs
man like you should be in high school. You know
that's the type of Yeah, then that's how that would
likely go. Now, Manci, we have what is being billed
as the tenth addition of one of the pre me

(56:00):
or match ups in sports, the tenth edition. However, this
one has something that none of the other ones have
ever had. The stakes have never been higher before Thanksgiving
for these two teams. We'll get to that in just
a second. Max Munsey one out, three to two count,
Blue Jay still lead to Dodgers, but getting to Scherzer

(56:22):
a little bit here in the top of the fourth inning,
three to nothing. We'll be right back. We're doing it
live here at the Fox Sports Radio studios. You can

Of the weekend. Steve Hartman can't touch a candle to
what we're doing right here, right now. Tell him I
said it. He came just to Steve Hartman today.

Speaker 5 (57:12):
Oh good, of course he did. It was the Saturday, Yeah,
the Saturday Polo and not the Sunday Polo.

Speaker 3 (57:17):
And you could see that Sunday Polo tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (57:18):
Don't stop there, hit that thumbs up like and comment away,
like Steve, I saw that shirt last week. Just let
us know who takes you like and even who takes
you don't. Just starts Fox Storts Radio on YouTube and subscribe.
Justin Robleski is not happy.

Speaker 3 (57:33):
Whoa we got? Oh, Josh Sider's running out there, bets claring.

Speaker 2 (57:37):
There's a disagreement happening in the World Series at the
first base down the first baseline.

Speaker 3 (57:42):
How you like that hit batter? Reblesky? Who did he hits? Steve?

Speaker 2 (57:48):
He hit Andre's Jimenez. The bullpens are running out and
like the ultimate we're here for Cardio.

Speaker 5 (57:54):
You almost hit him in the first pitch I made it.
I was like, oh, did he hit him? But I
think he got of the way. Yeah, so he ends
up hitting him.

Speaker 2 (58:02):
You know, never been hit with the baseball at any
speed that would matter, could imagine I'd be furious. But
also if I was in Menees, you gotta real you
gotta realize this is game. Nobody's trying to hit you.
In fact, it looked like you were trying to.

Speaker 5 (58:19):
Get it, like you were trying to get hit on
your wrists. Why would you do that? I guess it
does look at unless now it doesn't look as bad.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
And that's that's two different pitches. Oh yep, that's just
that's that's the most recent one.

Speaker 3 (58:32):
So I see, okay, all right, okay, Now the context
makes a little more sense now because on the first
one it looked like Andre Jimenez reached his hand almost
out and like he was reaching to get hit. And
then we talk about guys leaning in a bit to
get the elbow or like not straightening out. No, No,
this was kind of like flagrant. Like it looked like

(58:53):
he was reaching for a ball going out of boundary.

Speaker 5 (58:55):
It looked uncomfortable for you to try to get hit
like that. You weren't just trying to stay out of
the way. It looked like you were trying to get
You were doing something that was not non natural.

Speaker 3 (59:05):
Yeah. Absolutely, And then Robleski on the next pitch hit
them right in the same spot. Yeah, but they were busky.
Looks at him, He's like, dude, you know I have
a minor and ripped and lip reading. He said, dude,
what the F. I'm not trying to hit.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
And I would like to you know, this is the
seventh game in a row, these two teams have played.
Tensions are high eighth game and the amount of innings,
and he's consider it. But and then as he said, no,
and he's seen the Dodgers bullpen long enough. Listen, they
can't locate the strike soon much less you.

Speaker 5 (59:44):
Yeah, no, that that was so. So what why did
they get mad? Why did they all come out just
because he got he did hit him?

Speaker 3 (59:50):
Yeah, I think it was just, oh, you hold me back, No,
you hold me back.

Speaker 5 (59:54):
All right, everybody relas, everybody relaxs. Okay, we got it.
We got a whole game to play. Let's go. It's
only the botto. I'm on the fourth. Anything. Anything can happen.
But you definitely don't want this to get away from you, Dodgers.

Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
No, but this to me, to me, this always seems
to anytime you have like a you know, fight, it
feels like it benefits the losing team.

Speaker 5 (01:00:20):
Tends to it.

Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
It feels like it benefits the losing team.

Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
Now, obviously there's been no pitches thrown since you know,
so we have no concept. But I'm just saying generally,
in a tight game, it's it's to me, it is
a sign that the team that is ahead is.

Speaker 3 (01:00:35):
Losing composure a bit.

Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
Okay, Yeah, Now, someone who never loses his composure, that's
Deeed's sacred. We're kick it over to him to further
and better explain what's going on in this baseball game
where game.

Speaker 10 (01:00:47):
Seven, once they hit bat or Himenez dropped the bet
and screamed at the picture, what are you doing? That
kind of started the shouting back and forth and the
f bombs flying and people going on to what I
if I were commissioner A when I would outlaw on baseballs.
Nobody's allowed to beat the bullpen. Nobody wants you on
the field. You do no good on the field.

Speaker 3 (01:01:06):
Stay in the bullpen.

Speaker 10 (01:01:07):
Make it a rule so that they can retain their
manhood and stay in the bullpen, because half the time
it's kind of like Junior Higats just because other people
are looking, they're running out onto the field. Yes, make
it a rule, easy to do, Major League Baseball. Do
it this offseason. It's long overdue. As for Game seven
of the World Series in Toronto, the Blue Jays are
leading three to one over the La Dodgers. In the

(01:01:27):
bottom of the fourth, the hit batters on first base,
one out. It's reliever Justin Robleski on. Remember the Dodgers
they don't have much of a relief staff.

Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
Let's put that.

Speaker 10 (01:01:37):
It's been the bane of their existence for three consecutive months.
So they start show hey Otani on three days rest,
and that didn't work tonight. And yet they left him
in for two and a third innings, fifty one pitches,
and the last pitch he threw was the three run
homer in the third by Bobashet, and now Toronto's fans
are cheering because George Springer not only gets on base,

(01:01:58):
he gets on base by a line drive off the
leg of the pitcher who just hit him in it,
and trainer is coming out just in case. Three to
one Toronto, they've got first and second, one out in
the bottom of the fourth, the pitcher is staying in.
A real pitcher is warming up in the Dodger bullpen.
Tyler Glass, now who we knew was available for Game seven,
was originally going to be starting this game number seven.

(01:02:21):
He got the saving game number six with three outs
on three pitches. Late last night, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler
Murray out again with a spring foot. As for college football,
among the games in progress, the top twenty matchup at Tennessee,
where the balls have three turnovers and they're trailing at
home to Oklahoma in the final seconds before halftime thirteen
to ten, early third quarter at Nebraska Huskers ahead of

(01:02:44):
USC fourteen to six. Early third quarter at NC State Wolfpack,
still ahead of undefeated and eighth ranked Georgia Tech twenty
four to seventeen. End of three at Michigan. Wolverine's only
up on Purdue fourteen to ten. Purdue zero to five
in the Big Ten Conference seventh round thanked Ole, Miss
only leads South Carolina twenty to fourteen. That game's late

(01:03:04):
in the third in Mississippi already wins for Ohio State
in Indiana. Today, Number five Georgia beat Florida twenty four
to twenty in Jacksonville on a touchdown run with under.

Speaker 3 (01:03:14):
Five minutes left.

Speaker 10 (01:03:15):
Texas at Home held on to edge Number nine Vanderbilt
thirty four to thirty one. Dandy scored three tds in
the fourth quarter to get close. Vanderbilt was number nine
in the country, its highest ranking in the ap Poles
since nineteen thirty seven. SMU at Home won in overtime
against number ten Miami twenty six to twenty. The Hurricanes
two and two in the ACC. Notre Dame in Texas

(01:03:37):
Tech each one on the road. So did Virginia and Louisville,
and so did West Virginia, which was zero to five
in the Big Twelfth Conference but won at number twenty
two Houston forty five thirty five. The late game and
just under an hour we'll have a top twenty five
matchup with Cincinnati at Utah. By the way, dukerned its
first win at Clemson since nineteen eighty forty six forty

(01:03:58):
five the final with the late touchdown and two point conversion.
The first College Football Playoff rankings come out Tuesday. Selection
Sunday is December the seventh, which is now not all
that far away. This is November. The first NBA wins
on the road for Minnesota and Sacramento. Memphis guard John
Morant was suspended for Sunday's game due to conduct detrimental

(01:04:18):
to the team. Joel Embiid will not play Sunday for Philadelphia.
Oklahoma City's Chet Holmgren will miss another game Sunday. Bad
back and Hawk star guard Trey Young, with his sprained MCL,
will reportedly be reevaluated in four weeks.

Speaker 3 (01:04:33):
Two on only one out for the.

Speaker 10 (01:04:34):
Blue Jays, batting in the bottom of the fourth, already
ahead of the Dodgers in Game seven, three to one.

Speaker 3 (01:04:39):
Back to you, thanks, Steve. You've seen that Red Chers
logo right there on the MLB postseason helmets.

game quarterbacked on either side.

Speaker 3 (01:05:16):
By Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. They say Mahomes is
five and four in these I feel like that's just misrepresents.

Speaker 2 (01:05:27):
Sure, of the nine Pats won five, but all of
them are in the postseason that Pat wins, and the
other ones.

Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
That Josh wins are in the regular regular season. So
it's like.

Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
Sure, sure Now most of the time, if not every
single time that these two teams match up historically, they
are atop their respective divisions. Not this time, to borrow
a phrase from Lee carso not so fast, my friend,
not today, because you got the chiefs now if they

(01:06:01):
lose this game or four and three, they lose this
game to a fall to four and four and be
trailing the Broncos and Chargers in the AFC West. New
England loses this game they will be five and three,
trailing the New England Patriots in the AFC East, who
already have one game in hand above them.

Speaker 3 (01:06:22):
Right right, Because the loser of this game.

Speaker 2 (01:06:28):
Kansas City Buffalo played at Hei Mark Stadium, the loser
of this game is more than likely going to have.

Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
To go on the road in the playoffs. Now I
get it. You say, I got Patrick Malmes, who's worried
about that? Or flip side, Hey, I got Josh Allen,
who's worried about that?

Speaker 2 (01:06:51):
Depends just how concerned you are about the fact that
they took a lot of toys out of that Baltimore
Ravens locker room. Because if in fact they they do
lock in the loser of this game. If the Ravens
do whatever the national media seems to think, they will
go on a run and win that North, the loser
of this game is on a collision course with Baltimore,

(01:07:14):
as Baltimore being the worst home field advantage team and
this being the best wildcard that's where you're headed, and
losing a wild card game for the Chiefs or the Bills. Honestly,
losing a wildcard game for the Chiefs, Bills, or Ravens.

Speaker 3 (01:07:30):
Right is deemed disaster.

Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
Def Con won, but the least the Ravens are out
one to five this year, so they made they feel
a little better about it.

Speaker 3 (01:07:38):
Chiefs. But the Chiefs are the Bills devastation.

Speaker 5 (01:07:41):
Listen, Ravens do not want to see either of those
teams because they have in the last couple of seasons
and they haven't gone over either of the humps, so
they don't want to see them. It's crazy that that
is a scenario that is going to set itself up
if the Ravens are able to pull this off win
the division. Yes, they're the Steelers. I don't know Bengals.
Ravens can absolutely make a little run here, but I

(01:08:05):
I really think that the Bills need this swin more. Okay,
because the Chiefs are better. The Chiefs are back Martin,
the Chiefs are they look by just the eye test
in the last couple of weeks, they stand out among
the rest of good teams.

Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
So okay, when because you say eye test, yeah, and
I know you got the glasses with no lenses in
right now.

Speaker 5 (01:08:29):
Right now, But when you're watching what what is it?

Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
Is it more of a just a feeling or is
there something tangible that you see that you didn't see
in weeks one, two, and three, or wherever that.

Speaker 3 (01:08:42):
You see now.

Speaker 5 (01:08:42):
I even think it could be both. But let's not
pretend that getting all of these offensive weapons back is
not a big difference. For Patrick Mahomes, he looks like
he just is like, great, who am I going to
throw the ball to?

Speaker 3 (01:08:56):
Now?

Speaker 5 (01:08:56):
Who gets this touchdown?

Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
He looks like, oh, you'll get a car.

Speaker 7 (01:09:00):
You get a car like he does.

Speaker 5 (01:09:02):
He looks like he has a bit of a weight
lifted off his shoulder. Of man, how am I gonna
pull this one off?

Speaker 2 (01:09:10):
Now?

Speaker 5 (01:09:11):
His defense has always been good, but his defense also sees, hey,
our offense is back. We also have to lock in.
And it seems like they're a super Bowl winning team
for a reason. They just look martin. They just look
four weeks ago we were like, no one stands out,
we don't know who's gonna win. They look to me
better than every other good team. And then the Bills

(01:09:34):
offensively don't look as good as they have in the past,
So the passing game seems off for the Bills.

Speaker 2 (01:09:41):
This is the thing, if you sit back and think about,
like the big moments to your point passing game has looked.

Speaker 5 (01:09:50):
It looks a little off, looks a little rough.

Speaker 3 (01:09:53):
Yes, I would say to me, Josh Allen is incredible.
Of course I'm not. This is not this is we are.

Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
I'm about to damn with faint and praise, but I'm
wanted to express I'm splitting hairs.

Speaker 5 (01:10:04):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, right.

Speaker 2 (01:10:05):
This is one of the types of compliments that can
own the type of criticisms that can only come up
the great right, right. I think that he is so
dependent on his physical ability, right his rock. He's because
he's got a rocket attached to his right shoulder and
runs and you know, I mean it's leaps defenders in

(01:10:30):
a single bound type of like Superman style things. I
think the Bills have gotten used to that and are
used to bailing them out. I have not been high
on them this season because I can't get that first
Ravens game out of mind, Like I just can't get
the taste out. Sure, forty to twenty four, understand, and

(01:10:52):
then just like Josh Allen plays Superman and they come
back and win.

Speaker 3 (01:10:57):
But that's forty points.

Speaker 5 (01:10:58):
Given up, right, And it's also like, did the Ravens
just let that one slip or did the Bills actually
beat the Ravens.

Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
That's it, right, And so like, I'm watching this Bills team.
I'm looking at them, and I think James Cooker is
really good back. I don't love their weapons, No, Steve,
When Steve Smith says the wide receiver's done, he's done,
I'm out. Yeah, And Steve Smith thought about Keon Coleman.
You can't teach a dog to bark, never tried to,

(01:11:30):
but I'll take his.

Speaker 3 (01:11:32):
Word for it.

Speaker 5 (01:11:33):
Yeah, Keon Coleman, you know, had a great week one
and then all of a sudden, it was like he
disappeared from I don't know the options for Josh Allen.
It's interesting that you think. I like what you said.
It's like I feel like they're just they've gotten used
to Josh Allen saving the day. And it's probably right
because you know, they don't have stuff on Diggs and
then everyone's like, what's gonna happen. It's a rebuild for
the Bills, and there was no rebuild. Sure, they were

(01:11:56):
perfectly fine without him, and so that's probably what they're
feeling like, we were fine, we were fine. We don't
need to go get a player or a hot name. No,
I think you do. I think you need to make
a move. I don't know what the move is, but
you do not. You do not look as good as
people claim you look.

Speaker 2 (01:12:14):
It's like, I don't know how this is gonna go
over with you. It reminds me of J Cole. J
Cole for the longest time, was like I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:12:23):
Have any features. I produced everything. Yeah, like I'm the
guy who's.

Speaker 2 (01:12:27):
Behind it all, And I kind of thought sometimes like, man,
you know what, this might be a little better if
somebody else could listen to it.

Speaker 5 (01:12:33):
Yes, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (01:12:34):
This might be a little like I get it. You
produce and wrap your own stuff. Cool, but like maybe
if you had tagged up with a great producer, you
could have reached a new hype. You could have reached
a new level or had a different sound.

Speaker 3 (01:12:46):
Right.

Speaker 2 (01:12:47):
And it's like with the Bills right now, since Josh
Allen has got his turnovers under control, it has been
one band, one sound since that moment.

Speaker 5 (01:12:56):
Yeah, and everyone else is trying to figure out a
way to up you while you're just kind of cruising
because you think you're good. You're like, no, we're good.
We have a good team. And the Bills have great
players like in other positions, but like at Oliver, he's
always injured. I don't know when he's gonna play. Matt
Molana always injured. I don't know when he's Like, you
have good players, but they're injured. So what what are you?

(01:13:16):
Which Bills team am I gonna get?

Speaker 1 (01:13:18):
Get?

Speaker 5 (01:13:18):
Because when they're fully intact and they're fully healthy, the
Bills do look good. But then at the same time,
you miss one of those important players and your passing
game has been off.

Speaker 3 (01:13:27):
You look meh, and I just know this. Meh. If
I was six seven of.

Speaker 7 (01:13:34):
Six seven, meh, oh, is that?

Speaker 3 (01:13:37):
Is that what that means?

Speaker 7 (01:13:38):
You just halted Martin in his track.

Speaker 3 (01:13:40):
I did well because I thought it meant nothing.

Speaker 5 (01:13:44):
No, it means like like average, like mid for the kids,
or you know, just six seven six seven.

Speaker 3 (01:13:51):
That's not what I mean I'm about to say, is it.

Speaker 7 (01:13:53):
I thought that just meant nothing. That's just kind of
just you know, like the whole.

Speaker 3 (01:13:56):
Bit is like there is no bit it was.

Speaker 11 (01:13:58):
It's basically equivalent to when seventeen thirty eight came out,
like when Feti Wold came out. That's the same equipment
to six seven, Yeah, like when they said when we
just said seventeen thirty eight for nothing, that's the same thing.

Speaker 7 (01:14:11):
That the kids are doing now. It's just six seven.

Speaker 3 (01:14:13):
Like it's just like whenever it occurs in the wild,
people just lose their minds, right.

Speaker 5 (01:14:19):
The kids that I know, like my friend's kids that
are they.

Speaker 7 (01:14:23):
Told me it's like it's like six seven, like like
a six or a seven.

Speaker 5 (01:14:26):
Yeah, like it's fine, Like it's you know. That's how
they explained it to me.

Speaker 2 (01:14:29):
And to be fair, she's doing the six seventh days
in the moment, which I only know from watching football.
You'll see it about six or seven times tomorrow somebody
scores a touchdown, they'll do this six seven kind of
like this. I don't know is this six to seven thing.
One of my friends who was sixteen seven it is
tall with for Halloween it's six seven, six seven. It
just dressed up as herself. He said, what are you?

Speaker 3 (01:14:49):
I'm six seven?

Speaker 5 (01:14:50):
Yeah, twenty twenty five word of the year or whatever,
which which is ridiculous.

Speaker 7 (01:14:54):
It's a number.

Speaker 5 (01:14:55):
Can we so then it does mean something?

Speaker 7 (01:14:57):
Number is the word of the years?

Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
Can we file all this and things that pissed me off?
What do you mean six seven is the word of
the year. Six seven is two words. It is two words.

Speaker 5 (01:15:07):
So so that's what it means.

Speaker 4 (01:15:10):
So so.

Speaker 3 (01:15:12):
Moncey went to Miriam Webster to look up a TikTok term.

Speaker 5 (01:15:16):
Because my friends who have kids, they're the ones I
learned it from. I was like, what are you saying?
Six seven?

Speaker 9 (01:15:22):
Like?

Speaker 2 (01:15:22):
Okay, so so Darneld Washington was the one exposed this
to me. Backup, Steelers tight end the six seventh thing.

Speaker 3 (01:15:31):
But it is the thing. Anyone with the kid under
I don't know, probably fifth grade is well familiar with this.
And if you don't have a kid, you're like, wait,
eighth grade six seven? K Pop Demon Hunters? What are
we talking about?

Speaker 5 (01:15:42):
Well, everybody loves K Pop Demon Hunters, everybody.

Speaker 3 (01:15:46):
I have learned quickly that is not something to make
fun of.

Speaker 5 (01:15:50):
Okay, I thought it was a show. It's a movie. Yeah,
it's a movie. It's a movie.

Speaker 11 (01:15:55):
Make me have like a BTS sounds like, you don't
mess with them? Kop, You really don't you really do?

Speaker 5 (01:16:00):
What?

Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
How was at work? And I was like, are you
watching K Pop Demon Hunters? And the looks I got,
you would have thought I made fun of Oprah or something.

Speaker 5 (01:16:07):
I was like, you would have thought, did yeah, it's
the Oprah, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (01:16:12):
You would have thought. I was like, I can't even
I'm not even go there.

Speaker 4 (01:16:15):
Look, we're appealing to all audiences. We've been talking sports,
and now we're getting to the kids with six seven.

Speaker 5 (01:16:20):
Well round it as we.

Speaker 2 (01:16:23):
Speaking of the games and things that don't make any sense.
I know that the NBA had this whole big news
story that came out that.

Speaker 3 (01:16:31):
Completely just erased all of our attention on actual games.

Speaker 2 (01:16:35):
But if you found a second to like blink at
one of these, you saw something that didn't make any
sense at all, much like six seven. We'll get to
that in just a second. With the iHeart Radio app,
you can stream much wherever you happen to be. Catch
us and all of our Fox Sports Radio shows live

Speaker 3 (01:17:06):
You can hit us up and with your two cents
on Twitter, I'm at Martin Weiss and Mons, she's at Mons.
I'll just say this Monty popular On the Bird, Jason B.

Speaker 2 (01:17:19):
Diamond says, love those costumes, coach and baseball care and
let's go. That's a very strong choice Moncey. Well done,
you know, and then one guy just says who MONSI.
I guess he's asking who won?

Speaker 3 (01:17:32):
Who won?

Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
Whatever the competition was that we were imaginarily.

Speaker 7 (01:17:36):
In imagine, yes, you smoked me in the costume.

Speaker 2 (01:17:44):
There was a competition of number one overall picks NBA
opening night, and it was supposed to be like you know,
oh if you heard Cooper flag is.

Speaker 3 (01:17:55):
Coming to town. And then Victor Vajahman was like before
six seven, I was seven six.

Speaker 5 (01:18:03):
Yo big Thirwin Vanyama like, I don't know if I
just did not watch enough Spurs games last season before
he you know, with the blood clot and stopped playing.
But to me, it looks like a leap already from
last year of what I saw like a big leap,
and it is a big leap. You know, we would
have a big leap. But who there's I don't know

(01:18:24):
how you stopped this man. He looks so good and
so fun to watch. And I know it's like some
people don't like the Spurs because of the Spurs dynasty
and all that. I think it's great that he is
a Spur and that he's thriving the way he is,
and that the Spurs are off to I don't know,
have they lost here? Are they still defeated? They were
off to a five and oh start, which was the

(01:18:45):
first time in franchise history that the Spurs started five
and oh.

Speaker 2 (01:18:49):
The problem that I had with wen Bin Yama last year, well, first,
I had a problem with everybody. All right, First, that
problem with everybody talking about before he got here, He's like, Yo,
this guy is Andrew Luck mixed with RG three, mixed
with Russell Wilson mixed with you know what I'm saying.
It's like every single ever Blutcher prospect of all time.

(01:19:10):
He's like, hey, woaj, this is the best team prospect ever.
It's like, all right, like dude, what are we talking about?
Like you know, okay got it and he did not
live up to it, Like you're telling me, like you're
supposed to come over and take the league over like
Lebron He did not. But in your three The biggest
thing I thought about in year two was he's letting

(01:19:32):
defenders off the hook.

Speaker 5 (01:19:33):
It seems that way.

Speaker 3 (01:19:34):
Yes, your shot diet is so bad, Like why are
you fading from the three point?

Speaker 5 (01:19:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
Like what are you doing this season thus far? And
I know we have seen one twentieth of the whole season.
When you look at it in terms of the eighty
two games. We hope he can play this season. That's
the other thing. The injuries and the deep vein Thrombosa
to knock them out. He was not letting any body
off the hook. And if he plays like that, and.

Speaker 3 (01:20:04):
He's forcing guy like he only took in that opening
one three he has like he was taking like five
threes a game, get out of here with that, go
to the block and dominate, and there's nothing that anybody has.

Speaker 5 (01:20:15):
For nothing that anyone has for him. And like when
people are like we've seen this before, no, we actually
have not seen someone of this stature have the ability
to make it look so easy on whatever he wants
to do, whether it's shoot a three, block, you drive
and rebound, Like what he's doing is incredible. And what
I'm bothered by it is people like, well, can he
stay healthy? Shut up? Can we just enjoy fait the

(01:20:36):
one banyama right now? Before?

Speaker 1 (01:20:38):
Are you telling me?

Speaker 5 (01:20:38):
Can you stay healthy?

Speaker 1 (01:20:39):
Shut up?

Speaker 5 (01:20:40):
That's what annoys me.

Speaker 3 (01:20:41):
Poof you heard it very first. Everyone knows it's whim.

Speaker 1 (01:20:48):
Don't listening to Fox Sports.

Speaker 2 (01:20:49):
Radio broadcasting law from the Fox Sports Radio studios here
on a Game seven manci, I want to write a
song to the tune of this the most Wonderful time
of the year about Game seven, But I keep not
doing it until it's like game five and I don't
have enough time.

Speaker 5 (01:21:11):
Right, there's a story of our lives with everything. It's like,
I want to do this, but then I realized I
wait till the last second, and then I don't know it.

Speaker 2 (01:21:17):
Have found it very humorous that since they have bumped
Mookie down to the fourth spot, I think this is
the fourth inning he's let off him.

Speaker 3 (01:21:26):
You know what I'm saying? Where like so he's still
getting like that prime spot, like they like this prime
position in the line of where he's like the first
guy to see the pictures.

Speaker 5 (01:21:36):
Right, So then did we really need to make the
move moving?

Speaker 3 (01:21:44):
I would argue they should have been desperate?

Speaker 4 (01:21:49):
What what?

Speaker 3 (01:21:50):
What are you talking about? You don't think so?

Speaker 5 (01:21:53):
No, I mean desperation should because yes, you probably should
not have lost back to back games in LA after
winning the eighteenth inning game. So yeah, your team looked bad.
But at the same time, aren't you supposed to be Goliath?
Aren't you supposed to be the evil Empire? So what?

Speaker 1 (01:22:10):
What?

Speaker 4 (01:22:10):
What?

Speaker 5 (01:22:10):
You shouldn't feel desperate? You should feel like you can
beat this team regardless of what is happening.

Speaker 2 (01:22:16):
You know what mine, as you just said, is there.
You know it's true for the Dodgers, but it's also
true of my picks. It's also two of my picks.
It should be better. You should be better. You're you're
supposed to be some type of professional. You talk about
this on the radio, and this is how you pick them.

Speaker 3 (01:22:33):
Yeah, let's do it again. Why not, let's make some picks.

Speaker 5 (01:22:35):
I think I did terribly last week. I don't even remember.

Speaker 7 (01:22:37):
It's okay because you both did terribly.

Speaker 3 (01:22:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:22:41):
So, in fact, between the two of you, there was
only one correct pick. Now, now, you were in agreement
on a lot of them, and that's why. But yeah, Martin,
oh and five, worst week by far.

Speaker 3 (01:22:53):
To let's just worst week of what has been by
far my worst year, like a mile to New Day. Though,
did you see.

Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
Favorites wins eleven and two on Sunday last year last week?
Like I'm never gonna eat well on a week like
that anyway.

Speaker 4 (01:23:10):
And then Monsey, you were one and four, So again
between the two of you, that was the only one
correct pick, which was the Bills over the Panthers.

Speaker 7 (01:23:18):
So good call on that one. Moncey. Hey, let's bounce back, guys.

Speaker 4 (01:23:21):
You guys overall Moncey eighteen and thirteen, Martin fourteen and
seventeen overall not awful, So you guys like there's there's
still plenty of time to bounce back here.

Speaker 7 (01:23:30):
So let's jump into the Week nine matchups. We'll start
with this.

Speaker 4 (01:23:33):
The Indianapolis Colts are going to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers.
The Colts are favored here as the road team. They're
favored by three and a half points. What do you think,
Mancy will start with you?

Speaker 5 (01:23:44):
This is an interesting one. I'm looking forward to this
game for sure. You know, the Colts are the number
one scoring offense. We keep hearing that every week. Steelers
are not the defensive team that we are used to.
When it comes to Mike Tomlin and Pittsburgh, I I

(01:24:05):
think the Colts cover. I think the Colts cover.

Speaker 3 (01:24:11):
So Mike Tomlin's been coaching in this league for a long,
long long time.

Speaker 2 (01:24:15):
They all these against the spread numbers because they've been
betting on this league for a long, long long time.
The worst spot you can find Mike Tomlin Inner Division
game on short rest, that is almost always going to
be an ass whooping long rest.

Speaker 3 (01:24:30):
Sign me up.

Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
Give me Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers plus three
and a half against the Colts team that is either
going to be by far the best team in the
AFC or is going to have to start turning around.

Speaker 7 (01:24:41):
Yeaph no, all right.

Speaker 4 (01:24:44):
Next up the Carolina Panthers going to Green Bay to
face the Packers. The reason I'm bringing this one of
you guys is because of the spread itself, Because obviously
the Packers are favored here, but the line the spread
here is pretty far so thirteen and a half points.
The Packers are favored by Do you think they cover that?

Speaker 3 (01:25:01):
Martin? What do you think?

Speaker 4 (01:25:02):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:25:03):
I no, Like the Backers have been double digit favorites
like three times this year and have covered it how
many once? If that, Like, I don't see that this
team that lost to the Browns is you don't deserve
to be What's what's the line again?

Speaker 3 (01:25:17):
You said fourteen and a half, thirteen and a half,
thirteen and a half, so nearly three scores, just under
three scores. No, I'm not doing that.

Speaker 2 (01:25:26):
Carolina is not a good is not a great football team.
They are better than I gave them credit for to
start the year. They can run the ball, for sure.

Speaker 5 (01:25:34):
That's gonna be the big part of it. They came
out and they were like, no, I think we got
to go back to Rico Dwell instead of like letting
chewba Hubbard, you know, split it fifty to fifty. I mean,
it's gonna stuck for my fantasy team because I have
Chub Hubbard. But like, I agree, they're not They're not
a great team, but they're not the worst either, and
I do not see them losing by fourteen points. So
I am taking the Panthers to cover.

Speaker 4 (01:25:55):
Yeah, they're chippy for sure. Right next up the Denver Broncos,
the away team. They're going to Houston to face the Texans.
Texans are favored by two and a half points here,
what do you think?

Speaker 7 (01:26:05):
Manzi?

Speaker 5 (01:26:06):
Okay, this one's interesting because I just don't trust either team, you.

Speaker 3 (01:26:11):
Know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (01:26:12):
Like, I don't I don't just either team. So I
just don't know who's gonna show up. Bo Nicks in
the last five quarters that he's played has actually looked good.
But prior to that fourth quarter the Giants and then
this last he hasn't looked so underwhelming offensively. We've talked
about this that the Broncos have just looked like, meh,
what is the spread again?

Speaker 4 (01:26:32):
It is two and a half Broncos two and a
half Texans two and a half minus.

Speaker 5 (01:26:36):
Two and a half Texas. Texans are favored.

Speaker 7 (01:26:40):
The home team. Yeah, sounds like we know you're pick then.

Speaker 3 (01:26:44):
I just it's nasty, isn't it.

Speaker 5 (01:26:47):
It's nasty. Also, No, Patrick's are Tan for Denver. I
don't like that either. I don't like that either. You
know what I'm gonna take the Texans, give me the Texans.

Speaker 3 (01:26:58):
I would say this generally.

Speaker 2 (01:27:01):
Generally, my general strategy is when I see a line
like this that doesn't make sense.

Speaker 3 (01:27:06):
Does not make sense, right, The Texans do not. I
think that the Broncos.

Speaker 2 (01:27:11):
I wrote on my preseason predictions the Broncos are a
super Bowl team in part because of the defense. And
I thought our second year quarterback bow knicks and I
think in the last five quarters you've seen what Sean
Payton was talking about preseasons. Like, yo, when we get
this thing going, we're really going. But why like this
is this just feels like a sucker. And I'm gonna

(01:27:31):
go ahead and do it like a tipsy roll pop,
give me, give me the Broncos plus the two and
a half and cause, you know what, all of my
instincts have been wrong, but my instincts are saying there's
something fishy here.

Speaker 3 (01:27:43):
Texans being favored like this doesn't feel right. But the
Broncos should be the best there are, the better should be.

Speaker 5 (01:27:49):
They should be. But I agree some fishies. I don't
like it. I don't like I don't like either of them.
I don't trust either of them.

Speaker 3 (01:27:56):
Spells bad, you know, all right?

Speaker 4 (01:27:58):
Next to the matchup of the weekend, you guys touched
on it earlier, but the Chiefs are going to Buffalo
to face the Bills. The Chiefs are actually favored as
the away team only by one and a half points, though, Martin,
what do you think?

Speaker 3 (01:28:09):
You know I'm buying into the hype. I'm here and.

Speaker 2 (01:28:15):
It's you know, I'm actually less buying into the hype
of Kansas City. I do think Kansas City is a
good team, and I think record wise, little bear out,
they'll probably be the two seed or three seed in
the AFC when it all comes down to it.

Speaker 3 (01:28:28):
I'm not buying any of the Bills hYP I think
they have a bad I think their defense is bad,
actually bad. You remember last week I was talking about
the Panthers might run up and down them, and they didn't.
But I think that defense is bad. So I'm giving
Kansas City.

Speaker 5 (01:28:41):
Minute quick update here. Dodgers have scored well.

Speaker 2 (01:28:45):
You know, Toronto went to the bluepen bullpen, brought in
Chris the Blue Jays would do the bullpen, and brought
in Chris Bassett, who just gave up that run.

Speaker 5 (01:28:55):
All right, So Toronto stuff three to two. Chiefs are
the better team, There's no question about it. They look
I just said it just by looking at them, they
look way better. And I actually I'm sorry. I think
the Bill's losing. They're gonna lose by more than one
and a half. Yeah, I'm taking the Chiefs to cover,
all right.

Speaker 4 (01:29:12):
And the last one for you guys here, the Seattle
Seahawks are favored by two and a half points over
the Commanders. Seahawks are the road team though, and they
are favored. Moncey, who you got?

Speaker 5 (01:29:21):
Okay, So this is another one. I was not very
high on the Seahawks coming into the season, and they
are very well coached. They're really well a coach, they
have a really good defense. And then you have the
Commanders where it's like you have been underwhelming. You have
a bunch of older players on your team. Jaden Daniels
keeps getting injured, like I am taking surprisingly but I'm

(01:29:42):
taking the Seahawks here to cover, and by yeah, they're
gonna win and I think they're yeah. I just the
Commanders have not been the Commanders that I think many
of us thought.

Speaker 2 (01:29:52):
But here, well, you know the Seahawks are well coached
because you've got a guy trained and to cut his
teeth at University in Michigan. Yes, you know you got
a real ball a real head ball coach on your hands.
With Mike McDonald, not to be confused with the guy
down in Miami. I'll take the Seahawks too. That defense

(01:30:13):
is special.

Speaker 5 (01:30:13):
Yeah, it's good.

Speaker 3 (01:30:14):
Defense is really special.

Speaker 2 (01:30:16):
And the way that Sam Donald is playing, and the
way that Jackson Smith and Jigbity is playing, they are
on a wavelength that is really untouchable in my opinion.
And it's also I don't like Washington's construction. They are
old and slow and those are two things you don't
want to be in football.

Speaker 5 (01:30:34):
No, no, and their past defense is also not great.
Wouldn't you have Jackson Smith and Jigbuck coming to town?

Speaker 3 (01:30:42):
Now? You said that was five right in so again,
favorites win eleven and two or something crazy like that
last week.

Speaker 2 (01:30:50):
So it'll have been really hard for any of our
atomic dogs to hit. But you know what, Monci, if
at first you don't succeed, try try against. Let's take
an atomic dog. All right, Moncy again, because the winners
go first here on this program, feel free to go
ahead and pick your atomic dog.

Speaker 5 (01:31:07):
You know, there's there's one that stands out to me
that I find that I'm crazy to even look at it,
and it's the Falcons and the Patriots.

Speaker 2 (01:31:17):
You know, I don't hate it. I don't know what
that means if it's a good sound a bad time
for you, But I don't hate it.

Speaker 5 (01:31:22):
But it's one of those because like the Patriots have
looked really good. It's just like the Falcons to me,
I don't think they're well coached, but I just after
the horrible outing they just had where Bjon Robinson I
think had like forty yards if that, I don't see
that happening again.

Speaker 7 (01:31:41):
Yeah, they're very and hide, They're.

Speaker 5 (01:31:43):
Very jekylin hide, and like, I don't see that happening again.
Even though I do think the Patriots are better coached,
oh yeah, you know.

Speaker 9 (01:31:54):
I but.

Speaker 5 (01:31:57):
I'm gonna take the Falcons as my upset pick to
beat the Patriots.

Speaker 3 (01:32:02):
It is a spot they need to win.

Speaker 2 (01:32:04):
Pennix back, Drake London back, right, so, and I think
they probably would have won last week if they didn't
have to start Kirk Cousins prob.

Speaker 5 (01:32:12):
Yeah, it was bad. It was super bad, all right.

Speaker 3 (01:32:15):
So I'm I'm doing a you know, classic up down
theory here with mine.

Speaker 2 (01:32:20):
I don't believe that either one of these units is
as good or as bad as they've shown through the
first eight weeks of the year.

Speaker 3 (01:32:27):
I just can't.

Speaker 2 (01:32:28):
I can't stomach the fact Okay, got a Daniel Jones
led offense is the best in the NFL and Mike
Tomlin coach defense is the worst in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (01:32:36):
It doesn't make any sense to me.

Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
I think we might see a little bit of a
meeting in the minds, a meeting to the average here. Yeah,
Mike Tomlin is the most profitable head coach all time
as an underdog of three or more points. Forty and
twenty one straight up as an underdog of three or
more points. That is a great winning percentage for just
a regular team.

Speaker 3 (01:32:57):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (01:32:58):
If you just do that regularly, ten one and one
against the spread, when the opponent that he's coaching against
has a winning percentage north of sixty, that qualifies for
the d Napolis Colts. I'm gonna pick the Pittsburgh Steelers
to win outright because and I know I painted this
picture earlier in the show, but like, the Steelers are
gonna win the North unless the Ravens do something miraculous, right,

(01:33:23):
That's why the Steelers are gonna win.

Speaker 5 (01:33:24):
The nor Steelers should win the North absolutely, But I mean, Martin,
their defense is they're not that team right now.

Speaker 3 (01:33:30):
And I don't.

Speaker 5 (01:33:30):
I don't I hear what you're saying. But the last
two weeks they've given up thirty three points. If they
do that again, They've never done that, I think in
Tomlin's tenure there like their team is not focused on
defense and listen.

Speaker 2 (01:33:44):
Then this might be the year. It might finally be
the year that it all falls apart. Yeah, but if
it is, I'll be the last one holding it.

Speaker 3 (01:33:53):
You see that run Ostrich logo, although I'm gonna be
postseason homes.

Speaker 2 (01:33:56):
That Strauss Trusted by the Pearls worldwide pants built like tools, durable, comfortable,

at Strauss s t r a uss dot com. There's
something interesting happening in the NFC North. We'll get to
that in just a minute.

Speaker 3 (01:34:12):
Something doesn't make a lot of sense to me, Monzie
and I got my tinfoil hat on. We'll do that
and check in on Game seven of the World Series next.

Speaker 2 (01:34:23):
Come to you a lot from the Fox Sports radio studios,
Martin Wis and Monseys.

Speaker 3 (01:34:29):
Moncey, Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm sorry.

Speaker 7 (01:34:33):
I don't want to talk about it, all right, We'll
let Steve do it at about him in they are
no worries.

Speaker 3 (01:34:37):
Uh. There's something very interesting happening in the NFC North,
very interesting, very interesting, something that made me go with
my wind horse fingers. What's going on in Minnesota?

Speaker 9 (01:34:50):
J J.

Speaker 3 (01:34:50):
McCarthy is going to start against the Detroit Lions. Monci.
This is a bit of a walk, so stick with
me here, Okay, okay it.

Speaker 2 (01:35:00):
JJ McCarthy was the emergency quarterback last week for the
Vikings and the week before Carson Wentz got those starts.
It was then reported midweek of last week that Carson
Wentz tore his labor at the half in London, which
was three weeks ago. So for approximately two and a

(01:35:23):
half football games, Carson Wentz was playing with a torn
labor for approximately two football games.

Speaker 4 (01:35:29):
J J.

Speaker 3 (01:35:30):
McCarthy started as the emergency quarterback. Here's what's interesting about this.
You'll remember I'm nicely done appropriate. You'll remember the.

Speaker 2 (01:35:40):
NFC Championship game a few years back with one Iowa
State rookie brock Party starting for the San Francisco forty
nine ers, tears up his elbow against the Eagles. He
was the third stringer going into the season. There was
nobody left on the roster. They done now after that

(01:36:01):
is the third quarterback does not count against your fifty
three man roster on active Sundays, but can dress. He's
eligible to play provided quarterback one and quarterback two are
hurt and cannot participate, which means.

Speaker 3 (01:36:20):
That last week.

Speaker 2 (01:36:22):
Carson went to was clearly impacted by his injury, to
the point they put the sub the backup in in pain,
Max Brosner. If Max Brosner had been unable to play,
JJ McCarthy would have had to go out there. By
the way I was told JJ McCarthy couldn't play because
of his ankle, Right, I rest my case.

Speaker 5 (01:36:44):
Yeah, let's add more to the fishingess going on here,
the conspiracy that's going on here. If you have an
ankle injury, should you be standing on the sideline where
you can probably get hurt again?

Speaker 3 (01:36:56):
Well, here's Montsi.

Speaker 2 (01:36:57):
You don't have to think of Fred Warner, the linebacker
for the Niner, blew his knee out and was.

Speaker 5 (01:37:01):
Up in the stage up the stands. You don't stand
on the sidelight. There was literally a play where the
ball the play went into the sideline and JJ McCarthy
had a jump over the players.

Speaker 3 (01:37:11):
It was on JJ Crow Dusty Jefferson was rolling back away,
thank you.

Speaker 5 (01:37:14):
Yeah, and I just was like, I thought you were hurt.
Why are you standing here? You It's clear that the
Vikings do not want to play JJ McCarthy. It is
clear as they that Kevin O'Connell does not want to
play J McCarthy. They literally said, hey, Carson Wentz, we
know your arm is falling off, like literally, we still
need you to go out there, keep going. He was

(01:37:35):
wincing in pain, and they're like, no, no, no, we can't.
We can't go to our emergency quarterback. We can't have
him play.

Speaker 3 (01:37:42):
Something to file away as you watch Lions Vikings.

Speaker 5 (01:37:45):
Yeah, no Viking. I don't know what the Vikings are doing.
I don't know what they can do for the rest
of the season. I just am like, y'all, y'all, let
all these quarterbacks walk out the door, and you made
a mistake, clear his day, clear as day.

Speaker 2 (01:37:59):
Speaking of quarterbacks, I would wager that at least one
of these Saturday standouts is going to be a quarterback.

Speaker 3 (01:38:05):
Let's get to a Manzi's Saturday standouts, and uh, why.

Speaker 5 (01:38:09):
Don't we start with the quarterback who we actually have
not talked about during these Saturday standouts.

Speaker 1 (01:38:13):
Play action.

Speaker 12 (01:38:14):
Manning rolls right looking the throat, still looking, still looking,
rolls right near the baldy fires when he gets touchdown,
Texas see jay back start separate, give us an the
six yard Cats full of score.

Speaker 9 (01:38:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:38:28):
Craig Way from Learfield on the call. We talked about
this game and that arch Manning actually looked good. He
looked like he was comfortable throwing some. He was twenty
five of thirty three, three hundred and twenty eight yards,
three touchdowns, number twenty. Texas survived, really survived, thirty four
to thirty one agains Summer nine Vanderbilt. The Longhorns are
now seven to two. But Arch Manning looked like everything

(01:38:49):
they told us he would look like. It's about today,
It's about dwntime. It's about dam about damn time.

Speaker 3 (01:38:54):
All right.

Speaker 5 (01:38:55):
Next one, Jeer, my laptop had a standard there he goes,
blog up.

Speaker 8 (01:39:01):
To the racis you'll reach the INXI to the fighting
Irish touchdown and wake.

Speaker 1 (01:39:07):
Up the echoes.

Speaker 5 (01:39:09):
That's right. ESPN TV on the call. Jeremiah Love had
seventeen rushes one hundred and thirty six yards, two touchdowns.
The fighting Irish outscore Boston College twenty five to ten.
I feel like Jeremiah Love can be a Saturday standout
every week he's not. We try and share the love,
but we had to bring him in today.

Speaker 3 (01:39:27):
Try to share the love.

Speaker 5 (01:39:28):
Interesting, don't I know where you're going?

Speaker 3 (01:39:30):
That's an interesting tell me you're going. I'll just leave
that there.

Speaker 5 (01:39:32):
Shut up, very interesting. Shut up.

Speaker 3 (01:39:34):
Let's go to the next one.

Speaker 5 (01:39:35):
Let's have it up in the exert the SAP ten
times Fox teav on the call. There, yeah, safety, Kaleb
downs with an interception. You had five tackles today. Ohio State,
the buck guy stay undefeated. They cruise pass pen State
no problem. Thirty eight to ten was the final score.

(01:39:58):
And uh yeah, defense matter guys at all times. Yes,
I share the love.

Speaker 7 (01:40:02):
Okay, absolutely does.

Speaker 5 (01:40:06):
You weren't here last week. Ian He tried to call.

Speaker 3 (01:40:08):
Me out that because it's been this ten consecutive weeks
of Saturday standouts, none of whom have been called out
by Doug Carson's grown Jansen from Nearfield University of Michigan
Radio Network. All they do is keep winning games. That's
all I'm saying is just we have done Michigan.

Speaker 4 (01:40:24):
We did we did a Justice Justice Haynes did one
and week one or two, we did it. We not
doing Derek Moore.

Speaker 5 (01:40:32):
We did Derek It did it did were showing Michigan.
We for sure have.

Speaker 3 (01:40:41):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (01:40:41):
I never that's just that's just as Bill Belichick, my
costume said earlier this week.

Speaker 3 (01:40:48):
As President Trump says, that's fake news, I don't post
on my face.

Speaker 1 (01:40:51):
It is true.

Speaker 5 (01:40:52):
It is true.

Speaker 3 (01:40:53):
Okay, Steve de Sager to bring some truth in light
to the program.

Speaker 10 (01:40:57):
I believe it was snap face, snap face whatever, A
not a member of snapsaith. Well, we've got the World
Series Game seven going on Fox TV. Top of the
seventh the home team Toronto leading the Dodgers four to two.
Veteran starter Max Schurzer with the first four and a
third innings. Sho Hey Otani was the Dodgers starting pitcher. Now,

(01:41:17):
the good news for LA right now they have the
top of the order coming up. Potentially the bad news
is in from the bullpen. Is the Phenoms starter Trey
y Savage out of the pen to start the seventh inning.
He has walked the leadoff man Otani. And so far,
you could say, in some senses, a carbon copy of
The only other Dodger game seven in the World Series

(01:41:40):
of the last sixty years, going back to the Kofak days,
and that was not that long ago, a Game seven
against Houston twenty seventeen. The Dodgers were hosting Game seven
that night. They had a very poor start from the
starting pitcher you Darvish.

Speaker 3 (01:41:54):
That night.

Speaker 10 (01:41:55):
They were down five nothing quickly, but blame the offense
because time after time they had men on base that
night and couldn't do anything with it. They left ten
men on base in the first six innings that night,
and by the end of the night, from runners in
scoring position, the Dodgers in Game seven twenty seventeen were
one for thirteen. The Dodgers in this game seven tonight,

(01:42:17):
runners in scoring position one for nine. Wow, it's not
getting any better. Will Smith has just flied out with
the man at first want out top of the seventh
and I think we can start counting outs. Eight to
go until the Toronto Blue Jays are champions of the World.
They have not won it all since nineteen ninety two
and ninety three. Dodgers are, of course, defending champs in

(01:42:40):
the World Series for the fifth time in the last
nine years. A big difference in this game the fact
that the Dodgers were starting Shohei Otani on three days
rest and did not have a quick hook with him
when he clearly didn't have it early, They led him
in there for two win a third innings over fifty pitches.
The last pitch he threw was a three run homer

(01:43:00):
off the bed of Bobashett in the third. The Dodger
offense has settled for sacrifice flies in the fourth and
the sixth innings four towo Toronto.

Speaker 3 (01:43:08):
Top of the seventh.

Speaker 10 (01:43:10):
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is out again this weekend
with a spring and foot. In college football Top twenty
matchup at Tennessee has the Vaults leading at home seventeen
to sixteen against Oklahoma late in the third quarter. Usc
has taken the lead at Nebraska twenty one seventeen early
in the fourth. Seventh ranked Old Miss has just beaten

(01:43:30):
South Carolina thirty to fourteen. Michigan survived at home twenty
one sixteen over Purdue. The late games underway Cincinnati at Utah,
each team ranked and with five minutes to go, NC
State one in three in the ACC is still leading
eighth ranked and undefeated Georgia Tech forty one thirty for
the Wolfpack with five minutes left. Wins today for Ohio State.

(01:43:53):
In Indiana, Georgia beat Florida twenty four to twenty on
a touchdown run with under five minutes left. Texas held
on at home for a win thirty four to thirty
one against ninth rank Vanderbilt SMU in overtime beat Miami West.
Virginia upset Houston and on FS one. Tonight, Arizona is

(01:44:13):
killing the Buffaloes at Colorado fifty two fourteen with five
minutes to goo. Colorado is going to be one and
five in conference with two minutes left. Kentucky leads ten
to three at Auburn, and there's a PAC twelve game tonight.
There's only two teams in the league and they're playing
each other. Oregon State leads Washington State ten to seven
with about ten minutes to go. Florida State's zero to

(01:44:35):
four in the ACC, but leads Wake Forest late in
the game forty two to seven.

Speaker 3 (01:44:41):
And we have an update.

Speaker 10 (01:44:42):
Dodgers have just grounded into a double play to the
bottom of the seventh four to two Blue Jays over
La in Game seven of the World Series on Fox TV.

Speaker 3 (01:44:51):
Back to you.

Speaker 5 (01:44:51):
I don't like it, Steve.

Speaker 7 (01:44:53):
I don't like it.

Speaker 2 (01:44:54):
Not good MAXI says, no, thanks, Steve, You're delivering bad
news and she doesn't care for it.

Speaker 5 (01:45:00):
Any What I can do to change the news?

Speaker 3 (01:45:04):
Ama?

Speaker 10 (01:45:05):
She and on in relief. This will be the fourth
Dodger pitcher. Blue Jays have used four. Pretty much everybody available.

Speaker 2 (01:45:11):
It's a Game seven during the MLB postseason. Straus main
History is the first brand ever on the helmets. Work

durability from grit to Glorygear up today at Strauss dot com,

go ahead and get our guy in here. Jdpakel on
three College Football Insider. He's also on YouTube at the

(01:45:33):
Hard Count. You see him on social media at JD
Pakel will be all locked into the World Series as well.
But JD, do you want to ask you, my friend,
as we sit here on this college football Saturday, why
what's the hold up of saying Indiana's the best team
in the nation because they just beat the hell out
of everybody.

Speaker 9 (01:45:54):
I mean, I think, I think when they do these
playoff rankings on Tuesday night, Martin, I think they're going
to be number one. And I think because of what
you just said, Like if we're freezing wins, they got
a top ten win against Illinois by fifty, they'd be
at the point in time they beat them, a top
three Oregon team out their place by ten, Like Indiana
is beating the breaks off people, and so I think

(01:46:14):
they're going to be the number one team in America
when it comes to those playoff rankings. Now, I think
Ohio States looks phenomenal. I know it's not popular to
say on this specific show. I think A and M
has been awesome, But I mean when those rankings come
out on Tuesday night, based on resume and eye test, man,
I think Indiana's gonna.

Speaker 3 (01:46:32):
Be top of the polls.

Speaker 5 (01:46:33):
What do you think makes Indiana maybe better than Ohio State.

Speaker 9 (01:46:38):
Oh, that's a tricky one. So for me, I think
Ohio State's better. That's just me personally. I would take
Ohio State today at a neutral site, and I would
I think the Buckeyes would win that game.

Speaker 3 (01:46:49):
So, now, what's az it about Ohio State? Like where's
the gap?

Speaker 4 (01:46:54):
To me?

Speaker 9 (01:46:54):
I think there's more horsepower in that Ohio State offense
when it comes to potentially if I'm drafting position groups.
So if you want to score position groups, probably a
wash at quarterback because I think Julian Sayan is awesome.
Where if you want to give this light edge to
Mendoza Indiana, more power to you. If you go to
skilled players, probably close. But I think the receiver group

(01:47:15):
for Ohio State's better. I think that defense for Ohio
States better. So it's not by a wide margin. Again,
I'd probably pick them by a score. I just think
there is more jimmies and shows at Ohio State, and
I just trust them more, especially with that championship medal too.
From a one to Ryan Day. So I haven't googled Signetti,
but I do know there are good things on the

(01:47:37):
internet about him as well.

Speaker 3 (01:47:38):
Yeah, he wins.

Speaker 2 (01:47:40):
Now, speaking of not winning, this is something I found interesting.
Maryland fired Ralph f rees In in twenty ten. Since then, gosh, Now,
if we're going to long bungle this, I think since
November and November and December, they're zero to thirty four
against teams not named. That's the type of thing that

(01:48:02):
you'd be like, I'm gonna fire Mike Loxley for this.
But then you look at all the jobs that are open.
I think there's a lot of coaches that would have
gotten fired otherwise who are probably gonna keep their jobs
because the cycle is so wild right now, Like we've
seen guys definitely get fired.

Speaker 3 (01:48:19):
Who should I feel like guy's going to keep their jobs?
You shouldn't. And like right lastly at SMU, he's like
my top ten paid college football coach. Like that's all
because these jobs are.

Speaker 9 (01:48:29):
Open, the whole carousel is just gonna be absolutely nuts.
Like I think when we sit here at media Days
next year, we're going to have some wild preseason win
total numbers because we'll see different head coaches and in
the portal era, it's like, okay, well, who can you
bring with you when we hire you as a head coach?
And we could see Florida if they got get a
stud of their head coach, like an over under wind

(01:48:50):
total at nine and a half, which would be jarring
talking about Florida being a team that's like, you know,
an SEC title contender and a playoff contender. The thing
that's curious to me, Martin is like, if you are
on the fence. Like, if you're a Florida state right
now and you've already had to come out and do
the whole statement thing on social media, say we're gonna
wait till the end of the year, we're behind doravel
whatever whatever. Yeah, like, you know where this is going.

(01:49:13):
You know he's not gonna be your guy next year,
So why are you putting yourself behind a Florida behind
a LSU behind Like I respect, as much as it
felt like a bit harsh, I respect LSU for being like,
we know this isn't working, we know this is not
our guy long term. Fifty four million dollars cake, let's

(01:49:33):
pay it. Let's let let's go win the football game.
So I think if you if you're on the fence
or you know, you got to make that move like
asap because you're getting left behind.

Speaker 2 (01:49:41):
I one hundred percent agree. I think that which will
be done eventually, should be done immediately.

Speaker 5 (01:49:47):
The Longhorns, despite not looking pretty, they do have a
seven and two record, and today they beat Vanderbilt. What
are they clicking at the right time? Arch Manning today
actually looked good out there, look comfortable, made some good throws,
made some quick decisions, it looked like a different team today.

Speaker 9 (01:50:06):
I think the approach to have offensively has changed a
bit too. To your point, like I think earlier in
the year, everyone's banging on Sark or we'll Sark too, honestly,
but everyone's banging on arch Mating and how terrible he looks.
And like today you saw Hey get the ball out
of his hands quick. Let's get a little run game going.
Let's make sure we're not putting too much on this
offensive lines play, and like we got some skill players here.

(01:50:28):
We feel good about a lot of these guys getting
the ball in their hands and so seeing it be
a more personnel driven approach from sarkusion, I think it's
been a massive difference. I would love Texas a lot
more if they hadn't lost earlier on in the year
and had this two loss just like wait, vest they're
wearing because they got to play a and them they
got to play Georgia, and so to go clean through

(01:50:51):
those two games, to me is a lot to ask,
But I do think we can at least like acknowledge, Hey,
Arches is not this massive flop that some publication has
made amount to be all.

Speaker 2 (01:51:01):
Right, JD Playoff rankings come out this week, what's the team?
I'm sure everybody on social media will agree with all
of them, sich, what's the Who's going to be the
team that draws the most outrage of being ranked too
high and the team that draws the most outrage for
being too low.

Speaker 9 (01:51:17):
I bet we'll see Notre Dame in the top twelve,
and I think a lot of people are going to
be quick to say, what were They had two losses
and they don't play anybody, And I think they're going
to get credit for when it's all said and done,
being hot at the right time and having not lost
the game since their second game of the season. So
that's that's like kind of the final rankings sort of
take for you there. But I think when it comes

(01:51:38):
time for those playoff rankings on Tuesday, Notre Dame being
Notre Dame with the logo and then also their schedule,
they will draw a lot of conversation. But I think
they're right to be a top twelve team going into
this Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (01:51:50):
Not like he said, Notre Dame with the logo, JD.
I know I'm not the college football guy. Notre Dame
doesn't have a logo on the side of their helmet's
dummy's right now, Just kidding, JD.

Speaker 2 (01:51:59):
You could check him out on YouTube at the hard
count our viable podcasts wherever you get them, Twitter x
j D pickel on three college football insider Jay d

Speaker 3 (01:52:10):
Friend, appreciate you.

Speaker 9 (01:52:11):
All things on next week.

Speaker 3 (01:52:13):
You know it, buddy, you know it. So that's jaded.

Speaker 2 (01:52:16):

(01:52:39):
in this baseball game. Look, Manzi's a true professional. So
she turned her microphone off first, but she stormed away
at a place like I felt the vibrations in the studio. Okay,
we'll tell you what happened in just a minute. Martin
west Monty Blangio's Fox.

Speaker 3 (01:52:53):
Sports Radio for the first time in a long time.
A smile cracked across Monty Belinde face. It wasn't a
big one, it wasn't everything, but it was just that
slight smirk. We still have a chance, like somebody needs to.

Speaker 5 (01:53:10):
It's a close game. But it does like if you're
not watching, if you're watching and you don't see the score,
it does look like everything seems to be going Toronto's way.
If you don't know the score, that's what was frustrating.
It's just like I was like, man, everything, the double plays,
the defense, Vladimir Guerrero Junior, that diving catch, the foul
ball earlier in the game, like everything seemed to be
going their way, and that's what's frustrating. So you can't

(01:53:33):
let it go. It's one run game. It's a one
run game.

Speaker 3 (01:53:37):
Bobaschet makes the second out of the ah inning.

Speaker 2 (01:53:40):
However, before that, Shreya Savage came out into the came
out of the bullpen for Toronto, pitched a clean seventh yes,
and then his second batter of the eighth inning, Max
Monty goes yard with a single shot, I mean a single,
one run home run, which has been the story for
the Dodgers.

Speaker 5 (01:53:59):
Has their home runs have not been solo shots.

Speaker 2 (01:54:02):
They solo shots and not the guys not on base
are having trouble putting up crooked numbers. But this was
an outing like you, Savage started two games in this series,
comes in in the here and we both looked at
each other and you said it, and I thought it.
If he comes out and closes this thing you're looking at,
a guy might be.

Speaker 3 (01:54:17):
The World Series MVP.

Speaker 1 (01:54:19):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:54:19):
But obviously he's gonna get pulled here, so that's not
gonna happen. But an incredible performance from a rookie win
or lose for this team.

Speaker 5 (01:54:26):
Absolutely, if if Toronto holds on, he should be in
the talks of being the World Series MVP, because Latimer
Gerrero Junior has been great, but he hasn't like stood
out right like the way he did against the Yankees
where it was like, oh, you by yourself beat the Yankees.
That's not the situation here, and it's so if he should,
Latimer Gero Junior will probably get it. He probably will,

(01:54:48):
but right, but but Trey Savage should be on that
short list.

Speaker 2 (01:54:54):
Yeah, And to the point where I believe going into
Game six, the MVP favorites where show Hail Tiny was
was a prohibitive favorite. Vlad Junior was the second favorite,
and the third favorite going into six was Yoshinobu Yamamoto
because if he had.

Speaker 3 (01:55:11):
Come out and pitched a great, you know, a great
game six.

Speaker 2 (01:55:14):
And then potentially come out, you know, even who knows
it came out today, but it would if You're savage
have been able to finish that, that would have been
essentially what the betters and the books would have thought
Yamamoto would have been able to do.

Speaker 5 (01:55:26):
And what did I say to you during the break?
Why I don't know why Dave Roberts and the Dodgers
did not have Yoshinobu Yamamoto start game one? Yeah, I
didn't understand that you went with Blake Snell, and Blake
Snell was great. I'm not but how awesome would it
have been to have Yamamoto available for this game?

Speaker 3 (01:55:44):
Seven?

Speaker 5 (01:55:45):
Would have been cool, It would have been great, but
we went I don't know, I really don't know why
they went with Blake Snell. They quickly beat the Brewers,
so it wasn't like the rotation matter in the days off.
You had all these days off, you had the time, Manty.

Speaker 3 (01:55:57):
You want to do baseball for four women. It's up
to you.

Speaker 5 (01:56:02):
Uh, let's do buy or sell because I'm nervous, so
I need to I need to, like, you know, not
pay it.

Speaker 4 (01:56:08):
I need to be distracted. I'm nervous watching this USC game.
So that's something to distract me as well. Then that
that works.

Speaker 3 (01:56:13):
T J Lute or Lutheran's finest off the bench for Nebraska.

Speaker 7 (01:56:18):
Huh uh is that his name?

Speaker 3 (01:56:22):
Yeah? J lat Yeah, Well there you go. Oh loo,
I think Matt Lioner coach there anyway?

Speaker 7 (01:56:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:56:28):
Is it? Let's go.

Speaker 4 (01:56:28):
Let's play a game of buy yourself. I've got a
few storylines here from around the world of sports. You
guys are gonna tell me whether you're buying or selling
your stock in that. So let's start with this. Shane Steichen,
currently the odds on favorite to win Coach of the
Year in the NFL. Are you buying or selling Stichen
as the ultimate winner?

Speaker 7 (01:56:42):
Mansie? What do you think you know?

Speaker 5 (01:56:44):
I'm gonna buy on that. Yeah, there's no reason he
is not a front runner right now based on the
turnaround that we've seen with the Colts. So yeah, there's
no there's no reason for me in a couple of weeks.
Maybe I want to sell it. You know what I'm
saying right now, fully buying. I'm so well, yeah, you've
hated the Colts all season.

Speaker 2 (01:57:03):
No, but it's not even an it's not even a
knock on Stockings, Psiching, it's not even not stiking.

Speaker 3 (01:57:07):
I think he's a hell of a coach.

Speaker 2 (01:57:09):
I just think the turnaround in New England has been
greater than the turnaround Indianapolish.

Speaker 3 (01:57:15):
Yeah, that's all. That's all.

Speaker 5 (01:57:16):
It's not a knock.

Speaker 3 (01:57:17):
It's not a knock.

Speaker 5 (01:57:18):
It's just like I get that totally.

Speaker 4 (01:57:20):
All right. Here's another Jackson Dart is currently the odds
on favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year in
the NFL. Are you buying or selling Dart as the
ultimate winner?

Speaker 7 (01:57:29):
Martin? What do you think?

Speaker 2 (01:57:29):
I am selling this? The Offensive Rookie of the Year
should be a Mecca of Blue. Seriously, he's for the Buccaneers.
He's a problem. Yeah, he should be the offensive rookie
the year. I get Jackson Dart's a cool story. But
Abuka is like pushing top ten receiver right now.

Speaker 7 (01:57:47):
Abuka and Tyler Warren rack that was top three.

Speaker 5 (01:57:49):
Literally gonna be the one I brought up up take it. No, no, no, no, no,
that's I'm glad you're also with that because, like you said,
I think it's more like the Jackson Dart is a
cool story, like that's what's put. But if we're really
talking about an offensive weapon and the rookie year a
Mica Buka and Tyler Warren one hundred no beef with Ward, Yeah,
so I would also be selling that, all right.

Speaker 4 (01:58:11):
And last one for the awards here, Patrick Mahomes is
currently the odds on favor to win MVP in the NFL. So, Mancy,
are you buying or selling Mahomes as the ultimate winner
of MVP.

Speaker 5 (01:58:20):
Yeah, he's back. They're back. I am buying y'all. The
Dynasty's back. I mean, literally, Goliath, whatever you want to
call them, they're.

Speaker 3 (01:58:27):
Back, say Calith, look back up. I actually am in
favor of this because that's the word. I'm buying it.
That's that's that's the game we're playing.

Speaker 2 (01:58:38):
Uh favor un favorite. No, I'm buying it because it's
been kind of underreported. But that Giants game when he
they he threw the past, it was eventually a fumble
and did he win it? Forced a fumble on Bobby
ocaa Ke, Like your quarterback forces a fumble.

Speaker 3 (01:58:59):
I really truly believe that moment.

Speaker 2 (01:59:02):
Showed the rest of the team, like, listen, we've got
to step up, We've got to meet his level, like
we've got Seriously, I really believe that.

Speaker 7 (01:59:10):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 4 (01:59:11):
Next up, the Cardinals announced that Jacoby Brissett is set
to start a third straight game in place of the
injured Kyler Murray, who was already struggling this year. So
are you buying or selling Kyler Murray as the Cardinals
starting quarterback in twenty twenty six?

Speaker 7 (01:59:26):
Martin will start with.

Speaker 2 (01:59:27):
You, I'm selling that, I think, especially when you look
at the success that this team has had or lack thereof.

Speaker 3 (01:59:34):
That's a coach who wants to keep his job. I
think I'm selling that.

Speaker 5 (01:59:37):
And Jonathan Gannon did not know pick kyleer dere Yeah,
I'm selling. And he has been not fun, not good.
It's yeah buy.

Speaker 3 (01:59:48):
And the other thing that's the most damning. Look at
that offense with Jacoby Brissette plays. Yeah, And Jacoby Brissette.

Speaker 5 (01:59:54):
Is fine, solid, a solid backup, fine player, solid backup.

Speaker 3 (01:59:59):
He's barely the fifty first best quarterback in the NFL,
right there, right there, Come on, do jis
