Speaker 1 (00:01):

unmaxed selection, fast re shipping freud as a protection, and
over ten thousand recommended his dollars tirerac dot com.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
It's the way that tire buying should be. VJ. We
have this show now for a little bit the last
three years in a row es.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
We normally we shit here, we watch as the Heisman
candidates take the stage. We just we talk about what
they're weary, as we have many years.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
This year we have from left to right in front
of my face, Jilli.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Gabriel, Travis Hunter, Ashton Dente and cam Ward. I tell
you what you see how short Asci Denty is when
he's upset and next to those three.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Guys, and we'll run through your face.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
I mean he is a small he is a small
as stature, but obviously none of these four men small
in what they did on the football field. This year,
one of them will be awarded the most Outstanding College
football Player.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
VJ.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
We've had a long since been in agreement and been
in standing, and we think that Travis Hunter deserves to
win this award. Let's not take a moment here and
do what the rest of these jerk holes do on Twitter,
which is say, well.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Kim scannabog and the ram for that if he played
for poison.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
We're not about to well, he's not even breaking such
as such, just rushie record.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Now, I'm not doing that.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
We are not We do not have to be little
another man for another man hypotheticals exactly, we're not doing
the hypotheticals.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
First of all, it's always welcome everybody, man, all you
lovely listeners out there, Fox Sports Radio, Land, Fox Sports Saturday,
Martin VJ in the building has always met and right
off the top, the best award, in my opinion, in
all the sports. This is the best award. It's my
favorite award. I believe it's the award that means the most.
And regardless of what you do after this award, no

(02:00):
one will ever talk about what you might not have
done when you got this award. It's gonna be all
about this one year. There's always times where guys win
the Heisman and then going to the NFL and have
subpar type careers, but they're still a Heisman Trophy winner.
That means that one year in college football they weren't
the MVP. Because this isn't the MVP Award. This is

(02:22):
strictly the best football player in the nation. The numbers
tell it, and most importantly my favorite part, the film
tells it, because film don't lie, baby, So I'm excited
about this. They all fresh and sure, we're gonna hit
all these outfits tonight. And you're right, man, no hypotheticals.
If those other guys, Martin, listen, this is a two
man race.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Let's not kid. Let's not kid ourselves.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
This is a two man and honestly, the closer we
get Martin, the more I thought about this today, you
might have been you might have hit on this. I
might have missed. I think it's I thought it was
gonna be super narrow. I thought it should have been.
I thought it should have been just off the strength
of film. But what Travis Hunter has done on both
sides of the football. Now you got legendary people like
Champ Bailey coming out yesterday or today, whatever was I

(03:06):
read it today, It could have been yesterday saying you know,
you know, generational talent. Buddy's gonna have to choose a side.
Don't tell that young man that because he's telling us.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
No, and we'll talk about no problem, no problem, My bad.
You know how I give? I get it Overzelves about football,
my bad. I just know what we do now, Army Laws.
I'm hurt right now.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
What we do know for sure is that we will
have about I don't know, anywhere from thirty five minutes
to an hour before the Heisman candidate is actual, before
we even see the guys again.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
As we stay.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Martin doesn't like the ceremony. Guys, if you haven't heard
us before, you don't like the ceremony.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Oh, I just think this ceremony could be I mean,
let's say, optimized for viewership.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
It's a show, bro, they got it. It's a show.
It's an hour listen much too long? What if they
made it two hours or that? Really?

Speaker 5 (03:54):
You don't like the fanfare of the showmanship, Martin, I.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Just want it was half an hour MS ship and fanfare. Remember,
Martin is that this could have been an email. Guy,
so something that that's his line. He loves that this
could have been an email. You guys did all it
is you could have just shot a quick email. He
feels kind of like that about the high.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
The entire NFL draft. Yeah, it's what a guy. I mean,
the whole draft. That's a traditional whole draft, all all
the all three days, every drip of it.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
So yeah, it's always on, even if it's just background noise,
that's okay too.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Yeah, oh, by day three is just on. Yeah, day
three is background. Yes, to your point though, of yesterday,
of yesterday, of yesteryear. I vividly remember back watching before
social media and such where you can kind of keep
up with it on your phone, watching the draft round
like the second day of the draft, rounds five through seven,
and seeing Eric Crouch get drafted, and seeing some of

(04:48):
you know, Ken like these guys who won the Heisman
Trophy but were drafted because they weren't necessarily major NFL prospects, right,
But it wasn't about being a major NFL prospect. We
have seemingly gone away from that over the last few years,
as we've seen more and more quarterbacks win the Award.

(05:10):
I understand that quarterback is the sexiest position in football,
the most important position in football, but as you said
a minute ago, this is not about the most valuable
player in college football. That case is the most outstanding player.
This is the one that had the best season when
you consider all things considered. Right, So I think when

(05:31):
we saw, like, I'm not knocking Caleb Williams or Jaydon
Daniels or anything like that, but what we have this year,
in my opinion, is an opportunity to kind of restore
order to the Heisman in that now the top two
guys for the Heisman is a running back and a
wide receivers last cornerback, and any other year we'd be

(05:55):
talking about asking ja z as the Heisman front runner.
It is just that what was Travis Hunter is literally
never before seen. And so what I think when we
see this type of situation, especially when you consider how
many transfer quarterbacks we have in the portal, how many
quarterbacks come back for another year. Cam Ward played at
three colleges and is up there. Dylan Gabriel played at too.

(06:16):
I know Travis Hunter transferred, but his coach left. It's
not but it's like it's not necessarily with the same
level of the way that quarterbacks are flying from.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
School to school to school to school to school. Gentie
stayed there.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Right, So I think maybe we could see a little
in this world of college football that is more radically
different than we've ever seen before, especially with the events
that we saw this week of Bill Belichick in Carolina Blue.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Right. And we'll get to that at the top of
that at the top of the nine o'clock, But.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
As soon as myself just saying, in a world where
college football looks more different than we have ever seen
it look in the last like three or four years,
maybe the Heisman is returning to a place where it
used to, where you can be a wide receiver and
win the reward. You can be a running back can
win the award. You can be a defensive player and
be on the stage and be considered for the award.

(07:06):
These are all things that was true of the Heisman
before the last five six years.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Hopefully we're getting back to that even further back than that, man,
And you make a great point there. So I want
to ask you this real quick. As you're talking, I'm
over here, Johnton, as always, are you saying Martin that,
Caleb Williams and Jayden and if your heart it's fine.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
I just want to know.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
I think the people want to know too, that those
two heismans, it kind of turned into almost like NFL
is MVP because it's just normally gonna go to a quarterback.
But could we say Caleb Williams was truly the best
college football player and in a Jayden Daniels, I'm not
he wasn't the best player in college football last year.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
What I'm saying is, well, I'm not. I am not
trying to take away from anybody me neither. Though.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
What I'm saying is though we did not see in
those seasons a skilled position player have such a grand
season that he was even a competition one of those guys,
right since his year it was even a competition.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
There was no guy you could even put up there.
Realistically in the last couple of years.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
No, No, I was so like, man, it's like, you
know there, you know, we really wanted Blake Korum to
go up there, but he end up hurting this, Yeah,
we got hurt and that. It was like that was
never really a position guy that was a legit candidate.
So it kind of defaulted to which quarterback was having
the best year. Now, even with quarterbacks who are having

(08:30):
great years, we are talking about the guys in the
skill positions.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
On the field. That makes me feel good.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
No, it's too I'm definitely with you on that because
like you have years where Ingram and then you know
Derek Henry, they were running backs that won this thing.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Going away wasn't even close Adrian Peterson.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
There's been some years where guys have completely run away
with the with the heismotrophy, but Jens should have ran
away with it this year. But as you mentioned, what
Travis Hunter has done this year is to me, it's
very Charles Woodson is its surpassed Champ Bailey and those
of you that remember when Champ Bailey was between the
hedges down in athletes.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
He was going both ways from Georgia and he was
even lining up.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
At quarterback doing wildcat before the wildcat was a thing.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
You see what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
So we've seen this before, but he's surpassing these guys
that have done it before.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
He wins at the night.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
I put him right with Seed Dubb and everybody knows
how I feels about some Seed Dub and I don't
want to be the guy that was like, wow, you
put Seed Dub in this world today with Nil with
just being able to be almost like basketball kind of
where you could be positionless. Listen in the recruiting on
twenty seven fourth sports dot com have a category four athlete,
Like there's a number one rank athlete, a number two

(09:40):
ranked athlete where just put this kid on the football
field nine times of the tennis and offensive player.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
But there is a category for it, and you start
moving to that.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Man, if you had a guy like c dub in
today's world, and I think he would do exactly what
he did then and even more.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
And that's what Travis Hunter has done.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
So just kind of by default, I would love to
see this thing, but it would not surprise me when
we see the final votes. It is a runaway because
just simply what he's done and who is I think
that Okay, so I think that.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
You remember and we'll talk about this too.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
I remember all summer I was pounding the table for
one guy in particular to be the NFL MVP.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Oh wow.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
It was not specifically because I thought he was going
to be playing so well that he was going to
blow everybody else out of the water. I laid out
all these circumstances that had very little to do with
his play. It was good, though, it was good though
I felt you, but it's like that's I think that's
kind of the situation where it's like when you look
at all the team success, you look at everything that
goes into it, that's how you end.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Up like that man.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
Absolutely, and and and here here's another thing about Jent
and you mentioned about him staying with n I L guys, now,
like I think we need to just really I wrote
something down right here. Listen, there are two pro football
leagues in the nation. Now, there are there's, there's there's
the NFL. In college, they're not student athletes anymore. We
get rid of that, especially football and basketball players. I

(11:05):
don't like I cover all these other sports in college.
So I don't know if guys are hitting a portal
in baseball to get down to LSU because they got
a chance to win the national championship, are hitting the
portal of Texas. I don't follow that deep, but I
know in basketball and in college football, kids are hitting portals.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Money's got a lot to do with it. But you
don't see them going to bump squads.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Guys are going to schools to have a shot to
win national championships, and now they can control that.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Gent as you mentioned state.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Could you imagine that young man in Bama's backfield with
a guy like Jalen Millrod this year arf Michigan would
have landed him.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Ohio State could have added him with Caleb Downs, the
type of.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
If Texas would have got him, like you know, with
Beering and bringing in Isaiah Bond. I mean, it's what gents,
he's done is phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Man.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
We have the great the Sega here, best up there
guy in the business. We talk about running back so much.
When you just look at what he's done, it's almost
like God, man, I almost wish it was just co
I know that sucks. I know Mar's gonna get on
me for that. I don't care. JITs is having a
generational type season and it sucks that it could be
taken not taken. But he won't capitalize on the Heisman

(12:09):
just simply because this other kid, he's playing both sides
of the ball, homie, and he's affecting the game on
both sides of the ball and doing it at one
hundred plays a game like that's you gotta kind of
give it on that.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
So Nick Adams on Twitter rights, if we're being honest,
the most valuable and impactful player is cam Ward. The
other three are great, But if any of the other
three got injured, the team's points spread moves two to
three points. With cam Moore, That's just not the case.
Nick Adams, I don't I nor disagree with. Honestly, I

(12:42):
don't disagree. But here's the problem.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
I don't think that.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Travis Hunter is the most valuable player on Colorado. That's
the short that's Shador Sanders. But who had the better year,
Who did the who had the most outstanding season, who
did things we'd never seen four at the position?

Speaker 1 (13:02):
I don't know the guy who.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Won this the guy who won the award for both
of them, right, the guy who was making game winning
plays on both sides of the ball, Like we have
to Like, I understand what you're what you're saying about Genty,
But think of the crime it would be if Travis
Hunter in this year didn't win the Heighs.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
That's the thing.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
I don't think it would be a crime. Oh my goodness,
I don't If GenZ won the Heisman, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Okay, I'm not talking about not I'm not saying would
be saying that Genty's not deserving What I'm saying, is
imagine a guy who had deflected or intercepted half of
the passes that.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Came his way.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Mind you, that's pretty He deflected or intercepted half of
the passes that came his way. Mind you, the total
number of passes that came his way was left than twenty.
Mind you, he played every defensive snap. Combine that with
the fact that he's like third in the nation, tied
for third in the nation, and receiving touchdowns, like like

(14:09):
there's nobody, there's nobody in football, Like there's no way
you can say there's nobody in football who's impacted the
game more, and like who's impact who's been like on
the field for more plays, making high level plays on
the field for more plays than Travis Hunter. This is
a win just by just by the mass, just raw,

(14:36):
like not even like that's what I'm saying. We have
to reward this season. He's not gonna win a championship.
I don't know what the ball situation is going to be,
but we have to reward this situation in a way
that it just has to be remembered.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
The right way.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
All right, Yeah, I want to know. I want to
disrupt the whole system. No, yeah, I'm out. We have
to have to No, I'm flipping the I'm the little
kid in the video that's flipped the days giving table
over his overs Xbox.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
All right, you say it has to be co. The
only thing that I think has to be CO. Well,
let me say it like this.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
The only thing that Travis Hunter things has to be
CO is his position at the end of the NFL
co wide receiver slash cornerback.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Warsha even be here just real quick. I'm sorry he
talked about it. We'll discuss it. Coming up next. Martin
Wis Vida Husky Fox Sports Football Saturday.

Speaker 6 (15:30):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Coming to you live from the tire rack dot Com studios.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Martin wis Vido Husky on a Fox Sports Football Saturday,
awaiting the announcement of the Heisman Trophy winner. We probably
we just saw Dylan Gabriel good interviews, so we got
at least three more interviews. Then they're gonna have to
ask them what they're wearing, where they don't sound you know,
what do you guys want to do when you grow up?

Speaker 6 (16:06):
You know?

Speaker 1 (16:07):
And then we'll find out what you jerk? What do
you want to do?

Speaker 5 (16:14):
I want to be on TV if up.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
What if Travis Hunter just decided, you know what, guys,
I'm gonna take my four point oh g p A
and go to med school.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
You need a man? Well that's what Andrew?

Speaker 6 (16:27):
Was it?

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Myron Roll? Myron Roll?

Speaker 7 (16:29):
Not?

Speaker 1 (16:29):
And thank you Myron Roll? Did that?

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Man?

Speaker 1 (16:32):
That would be good. I would be nice.

Speaker 5 (16:34):
And you really don't like hypotheticals, Martin.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
I'd be like, hey, you know what, Travis Hunter pediatric surgeon?
What if Tad Hunter wanted to be like a pediatric
surgeon and a ob g y N at the same time,
because it was like, I can do both.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
I can do both.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
Say it's a good business venture.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
You make enough money. You guys must not be familiar
with my work in college. I'm shown I could.

Speaker 5 (16:59):
Hand the multiple man multifacet is great.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
Speaking of Travis, Hutter was all the Pivot podcast with
Ryan Clark earlier this week talking just about this very thing.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Let's hear it.

Speaker 8 (17:11):
What people want to get you into the building, and
they're going to ask, what if we only wanted you
to play one position? What would be and I don't
care what position it is. What would be your answer
to that, Travis? We want to draft you, we want
to draft you number one overall, but we don't feel
it's fair to you to make you play both sides

(17:31):
of the football. What would you tell that general manager?

Speaker 9 (17:35):
Call coach Bran, That's what I say. Call coach Fran.
He'll let you know the answer.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
They know how I feel.

Speaker 9 (17:44):
I want to play both sides, and it's nothing gonna
change my mind. You can tell me all day now
you can't play both sides of the ball. I'm gonna
keep telling you, yes I can.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
That's what I want to do.

Speaker 9 (17:52):
And you have not seen me not play both sides
and the ball since you've been watching me, So why
not do it now?

Speaker 2 (17:57):
So when I first heard that, I think the people
I was around were kind of like the people I
was around were kind of like, wow, what a like
what a not like a bad attitude, but what like
a belief him self right? Like well, such like this
that's the NFL. And I thought about it. I was like,
you know, Travis Hunter is what two years old? He's
been told since he was in the fifth grade. Probably, well,

(18:21):
you know you're not gonna be able to do that
at the next level, right from middle school to high school,
from high school to to I wanted to start from
Pop Warner to middle school before you even yeah, you're not.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Gonna do it on the next level.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
I feel like, if you're an NFL team and you
draft Travis Hunter, you've got even just to satisfy him,
you've got to let him play, try at least play
both sides. What I and I just think he was
talking about how Florida State wouldn't have let him do
it earlier in the thing with Ryan Clark.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
But also what I didn't think about this? Do you think?

Speaker 2 (18:52):
What do you think of NFL the position of it
not being fair to him to play both because let's
be real, he could play both sides all day and night.
But five years from now, when his contract comes up,
he's gonna be paid like one or the other. They're
not gonna make up a new contract team for Travis Hunter. Okay, So,

(19:12):
first of all, loved it.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Loved it when I heard it the first time, and
every time I hear it, I love it more and
more and more, because once again he said, since you've
been watching me, I've been doing this. So why is
somebody trying to tell me now that I can't do it?
This idea also to that, Oh, it wouldn't be fair
to you. I call bs. Okay, let's let's let's get real.
The NFL is a business. It's a beautiful league. I

(19:36):
love the league. I cover the league. I'll never stop
loving league because I love football. And that's the Pro
Football League this out right now, So that's the league.
I gotta watch this league. We all gotta watch. But
at the end of the day too, this this.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Uh yeah, oh yeah, okay, yeah, you got season tickets.
I'm just if you really were interested.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
This is this is something that is not even like
game breaking. People have to remember when Dion Sanders got
signed by the Dallas Cowboys, okay, as a free agent,
he signed two contracts. He one was for ten, one
was for fifteen. It was a total of twenty five
million dollars. They even made a pizza Hut commercial about it,
about even having toppings or cheese in the crust, and

(20:19):
it was both both both that became like a marketing
thing for him. Teams have done this before for Deon Sanders.
They'll do it again for Travis Hunter. Because you're getting
a generational kid and he's trying to let you know
I am generational.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
I'm not gonna let the league tell me what I am.
I know what I am.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Now, last point, NFL is different now. It's not a
physical as it used to be. Why can't he do it?
Like literally when you think about it, well, why can't
he do it? It's two skilled positions. He's not in
the trenches. It's not running back. It's not guard, tackle
or center. It's not quarterback. They going to play defensive back.
He's out on the perimeter most of the game. He'll
rarely take any genreing like career ending hits and lets.

(20:56):
It's a knee or something of that nature. They don't
practice as much, they don't hit as much. Like the
league is actually.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
More built now for a player like Travis Hunter.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
I mean, and there ever has been somehow guys still
managed a final way to get hurt every Sunday.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
And some guys still managed to find out how to
play seventeen games every Sunday too, Mark.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
But the point that I think is the thing that
I'm not talking. I'm not saying that didn't get paid
obviously ten million, fifteen million.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
Yeah, it was too difficult for offensive defense.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
All right, but at the like that's still twenty five million,
and at the time at the top, Travis Hunter is
not going to get a top of market wise. Let's
say he you know, has I don't know, he can't
even does say he saw Gardners level accolades on the
defensive side of the ball, and is I mean that's
also two time all pro I don't know what you

(21:45):
want me to tell you what I'm saying, like, uh,
and and who's a Jamar Chase in his rookie in
his rookie uh?

Speaker 1 (21:52):
And then first versus a couple of years.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
Can I flip that real quick? Give me a better
corner and then a less better receiver, because I think
that's what he is.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
I think he's an ups. Do the math in your mind.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
The point of the matter is two guys that are
going to be, if not the top of the market
at like if you just view their stats and when
their agents go in for negotiation, they're like, look, we
need to be the highest paid whatever position.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Like that's what both the corner first before he could
ever say it about receiver. But either way, but I
know you know what I'm saying. I get you. But
the Brandon I you couldn't have said he was the
best receiver in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
He still got a thirty million dollars contract before the
Seatson started, so but he's not going to get a
sixty million dollar contract or fifty million dollar contract that
he would get if he was like the highest paid
cornerback and the highest paid wide receiver. Which is the
point that I think Ryan Clark is making when he
says fair to you and that you are basically doing

(22:44):
double the work for half of the pay. But real quick,
let's go ahead kick it over to Steve. The saga
will continue this conversation on the other side of this. Steve,
just another hour and a half till the Heisman Trophy
is awarded.

Speaker 10 (22:56):
I was just gonna say, sometime before the show is over,
awarded Travis Hunter, his favorite Colorado wide receiver and defensive back.
Boise State running back Ashton Genty also there as one
of the top four. By the way, did you notice
last night they announced to finish five through ten in
the voting. Yes, number five, Arizona State running back Cam

(23:16):
scatibo Asu, of course, has won six straight. Will be
in the Peach Bowl, getting first round byes the Boise State,
as well as a conference champion. It will be in
the Fiesta Bowl New Year's Eve. Number one Oregon is
off until the Rose Bowl quarterfinal. Oregon quarterback Dylan Gabriel
is there in New York tonight as a finalist.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
By the way.

Speaker 10 (23:35):
Number two Georgia is off until it's Sugar Bowl quarterfinal
New Year's Night, and it'll face the winner.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
Of Indiana at Notre Dame.

Speaker 10 (23:42):
That will be a Friday night game next week to
start the new college football twelve team field playoff. Navy
beat number twenty two Army today thirty one to thirteen
quarterback Blake Corbath with four total touchdowns two hundred and
four yards rushing.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
Army will play.

Speaker 5 (23:58):
Louisiana Tech in its game.

Speaker 10 (24:00):
After Marshall opted out due to a wave of transfers
after a coaching change, Former USC quarterback Miller Moss reportedly
committed to Louisville. The Kansas City Chiefs activated kicker Harrison Butker,
so he will play Sunday at Cleveland after left knee surgery.
Kicker matthew Wright was wave. Kansas City tackle DJ Humphries
is out tomorrow with a bad hamstring. Defensive back for

(24:22):
Dallas Trayvon Diggs likely out for the year. He'll have
knee surgery. According to NFL Network, the Lions elevated veteran
safety Jamal Adams again as Detroit host Buffalo tomorrow. Raiders
quarterback Aidan O'Connell is questionable for Monday night against the
Falcons due to his knee injury. Las Vegas defensive end
Mac Crosby says he's out for the year. He'll have
ankle surgery. Bears running back Rashawn Johnson out this weekend

(24:46):
with a concussion. Running Back DeAndre Swift questionable with a
groin injury. Chicago plays Monday as well at Minnesota NBA
Cups semi finals in Vegas this afternoon. Top seed Milwaukee
eliminated Atlanta one ten, one oh two antennacumpo thirty two
points in a few minutes. It'll be a top seed
from the West's Oklahoma City against Houston. The NBA Cup

(25:08):
Final will be in Vegas on Tuesday. Golden State is
reportedly acquiring guard Dennis Shooter from the Nets. In college
hoops on the men's side number one Tennessee one on
a layup at the buzzer at Illinois sixty six sixty four,
fifth number five Kentucky beat Louisville ninety three eighty five,
and in Indya it was number seventeen. Texas A and
m over number eleven produce seventy to sixty six.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
Back to you, Martin and J coming to you live

an extra five percent off VJ. So when it first happened,
I was upset. Now I'm all in college football playoff. Really,

(26:18):
I was lamenting the end of the Power five conferences
as we knew it when they announced that it was
going to be a four team playoff for five power
conference teams, and then with the solution was easy, was
right there? You just do eight all five conference winners
and get game automatic and three at large. There's names,

(26:38):
there's you know, and there's your boys States, there's Boom.
It would have been perfect. Anyway, what we have now
is imperfect but yet still interesting. The top twelve teams
as decided by the playoff committee because of unbalanced schedules
and so on and so forth. And what is the
biggest No, it's not the biggest change in college football,
that is the transfer portal, but one of the biggest

(26:59):
changes in colls football the way the champion has decided.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
VJ. Let's go ahead and try to pick this thing,
all right, So this is what I did.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
I didn't pick past Saturday because those are when all
those games are. I want to be able to see
how those games play out. And they say, okay, the
matchup against him, now, this is what I see there.
But the first round of games I knocked all out.
We'll start with Texas and Clemson. I just think Texas
has just too much. They just have too much talent.
Clemson did look good towards the middle of the season,
then onto the conference championship game. Had a little bit

(27:28):
of a letdown there with SMU and let SMU get
back in that thing. But we're able to run the football,
and that's something SMU is going to have to stop
because they got run over. Penn State loves to run
the football, a top twenty team in the nation of
running football. But I just think that also third down
forty two percent. And then you talk about Quinn and
if they need Archs, they got arch And then why
Isler Blue is the running back? The key guy in
this game for me is gonna be Isaiah Bond. I

(27:49):
need Isaiah Bond to be special.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
I need us to go.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
Okay, there's the kid that was at Bama last year,
Caleb went did his thing? Where you been, bro? Have
you even talked about him? You're long on radio anything
you've done. Have you even mentioned Isaiah Bomb for Texas
this year?

Speaker 1 (28:04):
I haven't. So I think Texas does get out of
here this way.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
Plus, that defense listened to offensive line and they have
two guys that are gonna go in the first round.
And that defensive linment has got guys, and those they
got at least three guys that are gonna get drafted
off that front seven.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
So these are NFL caliber type guys.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
Clympson's got a few, but I just give me Texas
to move on in this one and get the ASU.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
I also like Texas, and you Dopbo took somebody from
the portal. Yeah, huh, you got away. You see the
names flying off the board today. You see Alex left Orgy.
Oh yeah, well thanks for the memory. Yeah, you exactly right.
Go play tight end.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
It's fun. SMU and Penn State.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
This is another game that I think could be close,
but I'm gonna get Penn State some credit here there
eight and a half favorites here, Like Vegas thinks this
is not a dog walk, but you know this is.
This is a good old fashioned football beating. But they
run the football, man. They are two backs over eight
hundred yards of Singleton and Allen. They're going to run
the football. SMU got trounced by Clemson in the ACC

(28:57):
Championship game with them running the football right at them.
Penn State's gonna line up and do the same thing.
Also to a dual card on that back end with
ten sacks this year, you've got to protect Jenny's. Jennings
fumbled early in the ACC Championship game and made it
fourteen nothing when it was already seven nothing, and that
was kind of the game right there, and he was
off for the rest of the game. He didn't pick
it up to the fourth quarter. Penn State causes some

(29:18):
turnovers there. This to me, this to me could be
a I know thise the Franklin thing, but I don't
see SMU as a team that should beat Penn State
with's just two weeks of preparation. I think pens steak.
I don't know if they cover. I think Penn State
was the game.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
This is how Boise State gets into the final gets
into the Okay, all right, this is how SMU beats
Penn State and then Boise wins the next game. There
ain't no they get to the final four way in
God's Great Earth. I'm trusting James Franklin in a big game.

(29:54):
Are you talking about this SMU game?

Speaker 1 (29:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (29:56):
This is Oh so you're going okay, you're going on no,
ok I'll trust to James. Okay, you mean the ball,
James Franklin, I know, I know, I know. I have
a reason why though.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
That one is saying the same James Franklin that Michigan
ran the ball thirty times down roll last year.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
That didn't JJ couldn't even hold the ball to throw it.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Will not do it, can do it, SMU. I'm going
in blind, Eric thinker. Let's let's go plus press baby
plus two fifty if you like to put it on
him man. So, like I said, I think Penn State's
gonna run the football Allard. They'll keep the they'll keep
the decisions that he has to make critical down. That's
not to say Anthem, you can't hang in this game.

(30:39):
I see the eight and a half. I don't think
they cover, but I do think they win the game.
Indiana Norre Dame game is the one.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
That's the most interesting to me, the one I'll be
locked into because Notre Dame just really quick, guys. They
have a really ugly loss back on September seventh against
Northern Illinois at home.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
I get that.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
Go look at the rest of their year. I don't
care who they play. They have been scraping people off
the football field forty eight points fi fifty one point
fifty two points, forty six point four. They average forty
a game. They can put the ball up, and they
also will run the football on you too, and they
don't ask their quarterback to do a lot with Freeman's
done here with this team and really lock them back in.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Now.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
We normally would hear Nordre Dame because they would be
the favorite pick or the sentimental pick to try to
get in as the fourth seedon sitting in five and six.
But when it expanded to twelve at one point, I
just thought we kind of lost track of them, and
they've been flying under the radar.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Indiana is another team that can score.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Also to both these defensive show up, they both give
up under fifteen points per game. Something's gotta give in
his game, so he's either gonna be a shootout or
is gonna be a close game, a shootout game. I
would probably look at Indiana, but they're new to the party. Man,
great season, it's been good, they're building. But I think
Nordre Dame and I think what they got going on

(31:50):
right now, man, being under the weather, they seem really
locked in. I'll take Norre Dame in this game.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
I have full on rooting with all my soul and
heart for Indiana and Kurt Signette because here's the thing
I was thinking about this earlier. I was thinking about
that I don't need I need, I need Notre Dame Georgia.
But just I hear you on the brands, need Georgia.
But think about the college ten million viewers, think about

(32:17):
the college football? Well, you know, when I start my
career as a TV executive, then I'll start to care
about the viewers.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
But you'll be good.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Think about the college football that we like, we used
to know with Joe Pie and Nick Saban and and
you know, Less Miles and all these cult of personality
coaches who were bigger than almost bigger than their programs,
and almost all of them stepped down. I need Kurt
Signetti to have a bigger stage.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
It's just for a while. He's good. Just one, just one.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
I need Kurt Signetti to have be one of the
people we talk about in college football, the way he moves.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Let's go through these next a couple quickly.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
Oh yeah, and was the other last one in the
first round is just uh Tennessee and Ohio State. I'm
not even going to be I'm not even gonna be
a hater here because one thing I will say about
Ohio State is that they are good for but they
just can't be Michigan. Like I don't care who else
they be, they just can't be Michigan. And I watched
Tennessee and I watched their losses the Arkansas game. That
tape still really bothers me. They couldn't move the football,
turn the ball over, couldn't run the football. And they're

(33:16):
a top ten rushing team in the nation. I believe
they're ninth ninth in the Yeah two thirty two a
game on the ground. But Ohio State's defense is if
we didn't have mullins man, like, we had one guy
to get the ball to and we gave it to
him thirty two times. I don't think that Tennessee has
that type of toughness in the trenches like a Michigan
would bring to them. And even when Penn State tried

(33:36):
to run, Ohio State stopped it. When Indiana try to run,
Ohio State stopped it. I think the buck guys in
a close game here they over under forty seven and
a half, so twenty two to sixteen somewhere, defensive fault game.
They're pissed about Michigan. I think they get out of
this one. I don't think they get past Oregon again,
but I think they get out of this one. I'll
take Ohio State in this one to take out Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
There's a slight concern that, you know, you'd lose the
Michigan game twice with Ohio State.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
They're so concerned about losing that game, it rolls over.
But voter Caafle has been given about days not going anywhere, right,
which also makes me want me to want them to
really lose it. PAOs in Columbus. But I actually think.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
There's a little bit of noise going around about the
Tennessee program, and it would be the state of the
quarterback and transfer portal that gives me bad vibes. You know,
Will Howard ain't going anywhere, especially to the NFL. Nope,
I'll go with Ohio State in that one as well.
But that's the College Football Playoffs first round. By the
time that we come back, well, we'll know the results

(34:42):
of some of these games will be on the air
during two of them, so we'll have you covered all
through there. Coming up next, VJ, you want to take
fifteen seconds in tease whatever the hell this challenge is?

Speaker 1 (34:52):
Yeah, absolutely, man.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
Coming up next, everybody said, yeah, VJ watches everything. VJ
watch everything. I'm going to give you guys a chance
to actually prove that I.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
Do watch everything, that and everything else coming out with
Fox Sports Saturday Martin VJ, Fox Sports Radio Martin and
VJ coming to your live at the Tireck dot Com
studios on a Fox Sports Football Saturday.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Vj's Bowl Game Challenge starts now.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
All right, so you guys all know how I feel
about my watching and watching all the sports are trying
to get everything get so I've permitted another proclamation this year.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
I will watch every single bowl game.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
And the way you guys could challenge me on this
is every week when we come back on you could
tweet it to us. Man, we can read it off,
you can enbosx it, whatever it is. I'll write them
down all week long. You guys can ask me anything
about any bowl game, any random thing about a bowl
game that's happened, and let's see how many I get
right or how many I actually.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
So, oh, yeah, that was such and such. It could
be a situation. It could be who led the team
and touchdown receptions? Are you know your rush yards?

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Anything like that?

Speaker 3 (35:56):
Nothing not Hey, who got the pass in affairs penalty
in the third quarter at the mark. No, not that
just something that happened in the game that's trivial, that
was important to the game. Just to keep me on
my toes because I am back this year. I've taken
the last two years off where I watched just the
bowl games I wanted to watch. Start today, I watched
Jackson State in South Carolina State from beginning to end,

(36:16):
watch Army Navy. So I am right, Well, that's not
a bowl game, but to me it kind of is.
So right now I'm one to know, so moving forward,
this goes all the way to the end of the
bowl season. Now the person that anybody that can stop
me marking ends up like get me the most times
where I don't know something, I actually have a gift
for you guys.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
I have a prised that's just from me. It's not
for fox Worthy.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
This is just from the big Vanilla Funny something on
my Holiday Spirit VJ clause giving back to the people
man that listen every week. So I'm excited for this
because I haven't watched every bowl game in two years,
but I'm gonna watch every single bowl game and I'm
gonna pick a winner for every single bowl game, and
I'm gonna pick an under and over for every single
bowl game.

Speaker 1 (36:55):
All right, well, we're gonna do this.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
We're gonna do it right then, Mary Mack, I think
we should dominate as the judge of whether or not
you get.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
The answer correct. Okay, awesome, that's fine. Hey dude, Mary
mag this could be fair. I want it fair.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
Mary will be impartial as the judge. Do you are
you accepting of the position.

Speaker 12 (37:13):
I mean, yeah, why not? You just kind of called
me out?

Speaker 1 (37:16):
So listen. That means I didn't want to go.

Speaker 5 (37:20):
I like you.

Speaker 12 (37:21):
I like my heart dropped because I just heard my name.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
And I was like, what is going on?

Speaker 7 (37:27):
But I'll do it you over there on Instagram. I'm
not actually, I was trying to watch who won the Nisman.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
Oh, don't worry.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
You have at least thirty five more minutes before we
find we're gonna find out it like three minutes anyway.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Yeah, so we'll do that. Also, let's see let's fail.

Speaker 3 (37:43):
So what I'll do is so also to keep my
picks fair. So tonight I'll write all my picks now,
I will send them to Martin. I'll email and our
text them tomorrow, so mar we'll have them before all
these games start. First one is West Virginia Memphis on Monday.
That's the first one. Oh Tuesday, excuse me, Tuesday, that's
the first Bowl game. I will text him all my
picks so he'll have them. So I can't lie, and
I can't fake the funk and I can't bring no

(38:05):
flip lamb and fluffy y'all because y'all know I don't
do that. Holiday is for you guys.

Speaker 2 (38:09):
We will cut the day off because obviously last Bowl
game well, well I'm just the show is on Saturdays.
There's tons of games on Saturday. So I think you
have to make your predictions for the Saturday by at
least Friday.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
Got you absolutely day before. Yeah, we gotta have the Marvin.
I'll have the picks. So y'all know, you know I'm
not frying. Man, I want to do this. I'm excited
for this.

Speaker 3 (38:32):
I'm hitting on like eighty percent of these games, at
least seventy five Watch I'm hitting on seventy five percent,
straight up dub just money, like your straight up picks.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
Who won the game.

Speaker 3 (38:40):
I'm his seventy five percent of all the ball games. Watch,
tell me what's in this business doing that? Well, well, nobody,
I gotta do it.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
Shut up. I'm not even gonna say I know anybody
at all.

Speaker 12 (38:56):
Well we will, you know, watching this Heisman thing like
cam and looks so dumb with that hat on.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
Yeah, I'm gonna be honest. I'm gonna be honest with you.
His look was cool. It was like, it's different. I
like different if it was never start, but it's starting
to it is it started. It's starting away on me.
Now it's starting to way on me. Now we're talk
We haven't talked about the suits about that announced, but
I mean I think Travis Hunter got it clean with
the Carolina with the Carolina blue, with that white mock

(39:22):
neck with the diamonds on the around it.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
Like the blue. I definitely cam Ward comes in last
for me with the black on black. Absolutely, absolutely.

Speaker 12 (39:30):
I don't know why you guys don't like just normal
you know, basic.

Speaker 1 (39:34):
Black on black is not gonna do it. Yeah, you know,
just announce.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
Travis Hunter's head is down, he's sitting there, he's thinking.
Everybody around him. Congratulations to the wide receiver defensive back.
He is the Heisman winner. He hugs his girlfriend Coachy.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
That's we'd love to see it. Number one recruit.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
They speaking of Carolina blue in college football? Will it
be for Billy B. Martin and VJ Fox Sports Radio.
That's Ryland. We're broadcasting live from the tire i rack

(40:17):

Speaker 1 (40:19):
It's the way tire buying should be. Chicken.

Speaker 2 (40:23):
So Travis Hunter wipes the tears away from his eyes
as he caps off what is one of the most
memorable seasons in college football history.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
With a Heisman Trophy.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
So he will be forever cemented with everybody and every
year you see him standing up there next to Desmond
Howard and Doug Flutie and Eddie George and you name it.

Speaker 1 (40:47):
Cam Newton and his hat is there, Mary, Cam Newton,
his hat, They're there, Cam Newton and his hat.

Speaker 7 (40:53):
Man.

Speaker 2 (40:56):
I wonder if he will be moving into the Heisman
House or if he already has a car sponsorship.

Speaker 1 (41:00):
Yeah, oh yeah, you know he does.

Speaker 4 (41:02):
Man.

Speaker 3 (41:02):
And I was saying I was gonna say, watching this
kid up here, First of all, congratulations Travis Hunter. Remember
when he was the number one recruit coming out of
high school and was gonna go to Florida State, actually
commit to Florida State, but then decommitted from Florida State.

Speaker 1 (41:15):
They didn't want want going to let him go both ways.

Speaker 3 (41:18):
Then Coach pron flies in under the radar and gets
them down to Jackson State, then gets him out to
a Boulder, and they're showing the reaction of a replayed
reaction of everybody back in Boulder.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
Just congratulations to this young man.

Speaker 3 (41:30):
But watching him sit up there and give his speech,
just now watching that big wide, nice bright smile. Man,
this kid's got a lot of money coming his way
through pitching products and endorsements. He's got the look, he's
got the cachet, he's got the swag goo, he's got
the salts, he's got everything on the field, and most importantly,

(41:53):
and I was just telling our great producer, our producer Squeak,
submitted to go doing commercial break. A lot of young
people in this business and even just in the sporting
world as fans, you guys really don't know who Coach Prime.
Is you just see him as Coach Prime. That's Dion
Prime Time Sanders standing there. Okay, that was coaching this
young man. So he still got all his connections. Every

(42:15):
time I see a KFC commercial it's either him or
his kids sitting in it. It makes me want to
go get some chicken. You know, I went to the
spot one. This lady lied to me like, we don't
we didn't have this laying ona.

Speaker 1 (42:25):
Lot of me. Mary, tell me they don't got the
Prime Time twenty bucket.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
That's how I ask for its. Are like, yo, let
me get that that Coach Prime tint it on the bucket.
Oh no, no, we know how said, yes you do.
Haven't actually seen the commercial the studio. I just seen
the commercial. So he's got everything in his corner and uh,
just bright, bright future for this young man. Congratulations Travis
Hunter Heisman Trophy Lanne suit. I'm kind of questioning it

(42:48):
a little bit.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
But the color and that suit is absolutely fire. Something's
going on with those cruston like those like latches.

Speaker 5 (42:56):
I like the turtle neck too. Come on, he's styling.

Speaker 1 (43:00):
Would you go ahead?

Speaker 4 (43:01):
Mark?

Speaker 1 (43:01):
What would you know about turtlenecks? Martin?

Speaker 5 (43:04):
Tell him nothing at the Christmas party that I looked
fly with my tims.

Speaker 1 (43:07):
Come on, Pat did have his hair combed. Why so
why do you hold up?

Speaker 3 (43:12):
Let's we're not just gonna walk past the Thames part
And well I want to get the Belichick But you
were fly because you had on your what.

Speaker 12 (43:19):
He had the Yettaws?

Speaker 5 (43:22):
Tell Mary?

Speaker 1 (43:22):
Tell him what do you want?

Speaker 5 (43:24):
He had?

Speaker 1 (43:26):
Times he did was they were they tied up? I
don't know you tied okay with that? His account?

Speaker 2 (43:31):
I know R G three's had was pretty swag. It's
just now match it, buddy. Anyway, all right, let's go.
Let's talk about things people care about. Bill Belichick. Yeah,
it was the University of North Carolina speaking of Travis
Hunters Carolina blue sweater suit.

Speaker 1 (43:46):
There you go, that's the word.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
Bill Belichick lifted up a Carolina sweater that he said
he got from his dad.

Speaker 1 (43:52):
And you know he said little Billy's first words were
beat duke. So, I mean, there's man one of.

Speaker 2 (44:03):
My least favorite phrases when somebody says, oh, this is
impactful on so many levels?

Speaker 1 (44:09):
How many levels? Seven, ten, thirteen, but.

Speaker 2 (44:13):
There's so many white I got to always check the
number with you who are you? Why you got to
check the number with you?

Speaker 1 (44:18):
So many levels? Because which level? How do we get
to the double level?

Speaker 2 (44:22):
Anyway, that there is a million different entryways to talk
about this Bill Belichick situation, moving into North Carolina, so VJ.
Dealer's choice, there's a this is like walking into the
old country buffet, and there is you can go top,
you can go Veggie, you go veggies.

Speaker 1 (44:40):
You could go Prime rip, and everything in between.

Speaker 3 (44:45):
I'll start with just how good, feel good of a
story I thought this was, and also too man So
it really is just being in New England because everybody
that leads there starts to show us personality.

Speaker 1 (44:58):
I watched the press of twice.

Speaker 3 (45:00):
I actually sat and found myself enjoying watching Bill Belichick
speak in a football setting, not at a not over
the old HBO, for NFL, inside the NFL, not those shows,
not sitting on podcasts where I have seen some character
from Bill Belichick that I've fallen for.

Speaker 1 (45:17):
But to see him in a football setting being.

Speaker 3 (45:19):
Introduced as a new coach somewhere, I did not think
I was gonna get that. That was very enjoyable. Two,
remember you gave your three reasons why he was doing this,
and the last one was so God.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
Just loves bit was trying to get an NFL team
to hurry up and hire exactly to no team, and
he found out that no team in the NFL wanted him.

Speaker 1 (45:40):
Yep, three, God just loves me. And there it is.
God just loves ball.

Speaker 3 (45:45):
When he sat there, said, it's always been I've always
wanted to come and coach college, but you know, I
was kind of having a little success.

Speaker 1 (45:53):
Up there in New England.

Speaker 3 (45:54):
Like it was almost like, yeah, that's why it's believable,
because most people could go, oh, you're just saying that.

Speaker 1 (45:59):
Could you're there?

Speaker 3 (46:00):
Well, could he have left New England? Why what have
he left New England at any point, at any point
when he was there? Why would he have left it?

Speaker 1 (46:07):
Went to college.

Speaker 3 (46:08):
I got Tom Brady, I got Mike Vrabel, I got
Willie McGinnis, I got Vince Warfolk.

Speaker 1 (46:12):
Oh, here's Randy Moss, here's us winning twenty something games?
Or where am I going?

Speaker 3 (46:17):
So I get I really believe that in the fact
that his dad coached, I believe was a Navy uh
for some thirty forty something years coach in college football
and was always around it.

Speaker 1 (46:28):
I think we forget that part of Bill Belichick.

Speaker 3 (46:30):
We know him from under ourselves with the Giants and
in Cleveland with the Jets and all that stuff. That's
where we kind of really get our guns from him.
We do forget that that was what made him into
a coach, was being part of his dad and his
dad coaching in college for so long. So it made
that part believable. And then that to me and now
opens the story that Wow, I like this, Like he's

(46:52):
what does he have to prove in the NFL? What
does has got nothing to prove in the NFL? Well,
he's put to go down to.

Speaker 1 (46:57):
College a handful of wins away from the all time
and well, you know what I mean? Is it good?

Speaker 3 (47:03):
Is it going to matter in the grand scheme of
the way you think about the man's a football mind?

Speaker 1 (47:08):
No, it's not.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
Those those extra wins are not It'll just be a title.
Maybe he tell him, He's like, all right, I'm cool.
You know, I still got seven Super Bowl rings? Are six?

Speaker 1 (47:16):
Is the six round? Six?

Speaker 2 (47:17):
Is a coach eight all together? Still got eight rings?
So I think I'm thinking pretty good there. But I
just it was a feel good story for me.

Speaker 1 (47:24):
Man, I like it.

Speaker 3 (47:25):
I think they'll do well down there. He'll he'll have
some young people around him. I'm not worried about the
age difference in the age gap. And also mark last point,
just real fast, college.

Speaker 2 (47:34):
Football, these kids get they're something called nil right, college
kind of get paid now, right.

Speaker 1 (47:38):
Yeah, it's reported that Belichick's got thirteen million. I think
first team we talked, now you know what makes to
so great?

Speaker 2 (47:46):
Also, remember we talked about, hey, I could change, right,
Bill betcha, Look, I could come down to college and change.
With these kids getting paid, does he really have to
change mar r? Is he just he's just managing younger
millionaires now right, He's just managed a younger millionaire.

Speaker 1 (48:02):
I think part of the thing that's interesting. I kind
of laughed at it, but people were going back and
forth talking about, oh, you know, college football, everybody's a
one year free agent.

Speaker 2 (48:11):
I think that maybe Belichick might have preferred everybody exactly
having contracts every year.

Speaker 1 (48:18):
Every year. I think have preferred that every year level
of scenario.

Speaker 2 (48:23):
Yes, but I think that of the things that I
landed on, I think my three that we laid out
just a minute agoing last week, it falls between It's
like two and a half of three into I think
that the Atlanta Falcons, from everything that we know from
the reporting of Belichick as coach, from when the Patriots

(48:44):
and he split ways to to Yester was the Thursday
when he was hired at Newton at North Carolina. I
think the Atlanta Falcons would have hired him had Robert
Kraft not talk to Arthur Blank. I think what you
saw in the NFL with the NFL has shown consistently
whatever if.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
They are done with you, oh yeah, they are done.
We're done with you.

Speaker 2 (49:07):
You could ask Gordon, you could ask Jack Colin Kaeperny,
you could ask John Gruden, you could ask Bill Belichick.
It seems has fallen into that same category. Now all
those people in that category for wildly different reasons, but
it just shows when the NFL puts a hard stop
and was like, nope, skirt, we're going to the left.

(49:27):
I think the NFL made the decisions that we want
Robert Kraft in this organization more than we want Bill Belichick.
I think that's what happened because before because I'm reading
the reporting, because you know that's me.

Speaker 1 (49:38):
I'm about the report. Okay, So I'm reading reporting and
I'm saying some confident on is saying this is Belichick
giving an FU to the NFL.

Speaker 2 (49:46):
I'm like, how in the hell does Belichick get off
thinking he's given the NF NFL and FU when the
NFL don't want you.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
No, no, no, you can't fire me. I I quit.

Speaker 3 (50:00):
Yeah, yeah, that's exactly what the sitcom line back in
the day when the father fired to May.

Speaker 2 (50:05):
But I think so that's what That's what made me
think that Craft had a bigger influence in this, or
the impact of Craft talking about him had a bigger influence.

Speaker 1 (50:15):
I thought then then when it was happening in the
moment that I didn't see it.

Speaker 2 (50:19):
And when you think about it, there's about now all
these people are billionaires.

Speaker 1 (50:23):
Don't keep me wrong. You could buy my entire life
as a rounding air. All right, So let's just get
that out of the way.

Speaker 2 (50:30):
But there's about three to five NFL owners that matter
in the grand scheme of that's the hour that have power.

Speaker 1 (50:40):
Craft is one of them. Absolutely. I think that if
now it probably wouldn't be able to exist.

Speaker 2 (50:45):
But let's say like Belichick had been coaching the Arizona
Cardinals and had all the same success and the owner
of the Cardinals was like, no, don't shut up, shut up,
shut up, you just got the team. Well, the Cardinals
have been over the family, but I'm talking about the.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
Guy that got called the shots. Now. Yeah, it still
is in the family. Yeah, but it's like Rudy all right.

Speaker 4 (51:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (51:06):
So I think that's when the f you to the
NFL comes in because I agree with you. I think
that in today's landscape of college football, we are we
are in a world right now today in which Indiana
and SMU are competing for the national championship. Boise State

(51:28):
has a bye in the college football playoffs. I'm not
arguing the merits or whether they should be or what.
I'm just saying, that's what is today. You mean to
tell me that a University of North Carolina that already
has an athletic program, I mean athletic history powerhouse, not
necessarily in football, but as want soccer.

Speaker 1 (51:49):
Game their women.

Speaker 3 (51:50):
They just won a national championship again, like they just
won another national championship. There his Carolina Athletics.

Speaker 2 (51:56):
So but the thing, like Jmichael Lombardi said new GM
Michael Lombardi of the Carolina Targiles, is this craazy thing
to say. They have had two quarterbacks drafted at the
top five in the last ten years, mister Trubisky and
Drake may right and so, and Belichick already got this guy,
Bryce Baker, four Star Rivals recruit topped ranked member of

(52:19):
North Carolina's class, recommitted, re signed. He hadn't signed yet signed.
He went on to visit of Penn State. Said I
want to go play for Bill b That's awesome, man,
it's beautiful.

Speaker 1 (52:28):
You look at all of this stuff.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
I think if I told you, I've been asking everybody
I've come into contact with about this since the moment,
because this is the most fascinating story in sports.

Speaker 1 (52:38):
Don't get me wrong.

Speaker 2 (52:39):
Over Under twenty six and a half wins in three
years because his money is guaranteed for three years. So
that's why I'm allowed to say three over under what
twenty six and a half wins over easily? Easily, easily easily.

Speaker 3 (52:54):
He's gonna turn this program around immediately. This turns around immediately.
They're not a bad team. They're not a bad program.
They got players there, and he'll get kids in college.
Bro college, it's different. He'll turn this around immediately.

Speaker 5 (53:06):
Next year.

Speaker 3 (53:07):
He'll be some scraping through, but he's he's he has
the most knowledge probably of any other college coach in
his conference right now.

Speaker 1 (53:14):
They probably all look up to him. He's bringing all
he's gonna, trust me.

Speaker 2 (53:17):
He's bringing the schematic advantage over over everybody, over everybody.
He'll be able to take four and three star kids
and have them perform better than your five star guy
on any given down because he's gonna bring just do
your He's gonna bring what he's been guys.

Speaker 1 (53:35):
He's gonna bring who he is.

Speaker 3 (53:36):
He's not gonna change schematically, and he'll have an entire
younger staff. He's probably starting with a son and they
will They will do the day to day handling these
generational kids, but he's gonna pass down the schematics of
football to these kids unlike they've ever seen before.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
The conference ain't hard. You had two teams.

Speaker 2 (53:59):
Miami who was talking to see about this last yesterday
when I was filling on a god couple. Sean King
made a good point that Miami spent boatloads of money
for a roster that went ten and two and is
now going to compete for pop tarts YEP in the
pop Tart Bowl. Yeah exactly, and yo, it's it's the
winner gets brown Cinement. It's that the worst ones.

Speaker 5 (54:18):
Brown Simmons great.

Speaker 1 (54:19):
Oh they're not, and I would expect you to like them.

Speaker 5 (54:22):
I like them all, but brown Simmons great.

Speaker 1 (54:24):
Alright, So here just the landscape.

Speaker 2 (54:28):
Arizona State, who also has a bye in the College
football Playoff. This bowl game they play upcoming will be
their first ball game since twenty twenty one.

Speaker 1 (54:38):
Turns real fast in college football.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
Okay, got in the last and two seasons following that,
six games won, eighteen losses. Indiana compiled nine wins from
twenty twenty one to twenty twenty three.

Speaker 1 (54:54):
Wow, okay, Colorado right now, they're saying with one law
in the year now.

Speaker 2 (55:01):
Obviously, Colorado did not qualify for the College Football Playoff,
but was.

Speaker 1 (55:05):
A win or two away.

Speaker 2 (55:07):
Colorado the year before Dion one win, the year first
year Dion four. Now a win away from the college
football Playoff. If the ball bounces the other way, you
can't tell me with a Heisman Trophy winner, but you
can't tell me that they turnaround. Can't happen, especially in

(55:27):
a world where Marshall had to opt out of the
Independence ball against Army because.

Speaker 3 (55:33):
They don't have enough players, enough players. Not only that too,
you know how I am about high school football, ho ted,
I am with it. The state of North Carolina does
not get enough credit. North Carolina, South Carolina. They don't
get enough credit for how much high school talent it
comes out of those two states.

Speaker 1 (55:45):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (55:46):
Last point I'll make on this because I agree with you.
Who else around that area is going to be operating
in the portal. Clemson just took their first kid, like
everye okay, Like, sure, you're gonna be competing nationally, but
like Boulder, Colorado, who's legit?

Speaker 1 (56:05):
You gotta recruit nationally.

Speaker 2 (56:08):
Part of the beef with Lincoln Riley is he's not
recruiting LA He's losing kids North Carolina and have legit, dude,
Todd Water area is legit.

Speaker 1 (56:18):
And then also, what happens when you got the guy
who the guy who.

Speaker 2 (56:22):
Got benched for Jared mis What happens when you get
the guy who got benched for Ryan Williams.

Speaker 1 (56:27):
You know what I'm saying, The wide.

Speaker 2 (56:28):
Receiver's the odd man out because this you young freshman
is going to this established powerhouse.

Speaker 3 (56:33):
And you have to remember They've had guys like a
Keem Nicks and they they yeah, Julius Pepper's like this
this program and they got money and it's a beautiful
I've been there hundreds of time ago and it is
a gorgeous You walk kids on that campus and they
got a chance to make some money and out and
play upper echelon college football.

Speaker 1 (56:48):
They have gotten guys there. Did you just missed it?

Speaker 3 (56:50):
They had two quarterbacks drafted at the top five or
six picks over the last four was four to six
years to Whisky's in like year seven or something. But
you know, you get I agree with you saying I
love the move. I can't wait to see it. I'm
excited for this, and I'm like, just watch this program,
girl start to compete.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
A specific wide receiver took a shot at one of
vj's favorite quarterbacks.

Speaker 1 (57:12):
How does VJ respond.

Speaker 2 (57:14):
We'll get to that just a moment, all right, Martin VJ.

on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (57:54):
Come on, come on, I used to love. It's funny
that you just honestly made that noise.

Speaker 2 (58:01):
I know it's the rough Riders noise, right, but it
was kind of similar to what Aj Brown did.

Speaker 1 (58:07):
This week, right, get Aj?

Speaker 2 (58:10):
After the Carolina game, you had can you do the
first bark again?

Speaker 1 (58:16):
That was what do you need to work on passing?

Speaker 2 (58:20):
Right? And then the next one the that was, oh,
Brandon Graham didn't really mean it, guys. He didn't really
mean We're not still friends? You know? Oh mixed Heirianni
says we eat lunch together every day, which honestly may.

Speaker 1 (58:36):
Be true, right, maybe true? Brandon Grahama, who I mean?

Speaker 2 (58:40):
He brought my dog back once in college, so I
have no reason to believe he's not a trustworthy man.

Speaker 1 (58:45):
But Michigan is my guy. But I think to me
the most interesting part about this I think there's two
reads to it. One and I think the one that
most people jump to wash AJ Brown selfish right.

Speaker 2 (59:03):
Now?

Speaker 1 (59:04):
The other the other mighty's awake the other one. Is
it possible.

Speaker 2 (59:15):
That AJ Brown sees the same Eagles team like I
mean this time last year, just three hundred and sixty
five or so days ago.

Speaker 1 (59:24):
This is when it started. This is when it start started.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
This is when the pretipitous fall for the Philadelphia Eagles,
that roller coaster was stopped going up. It's a tick
tick ticket all of a sudden, in one everything starts
to fall apart. Do you think that AJ Brown feels
a little bit of that pressure right here, right now?
Because here's the thing I thought about it, like this,
Why would a wide receiver be like selfish?

Speaker 1 (59:48):
Right?

Speaker 4 (59:48):
Well?

Speaker 1 (59:49):
Has he gotten paid? Well, AG's gotten paid twice? Right?
Has he won at a high level?

Speaker 2 (59:53):
We he never got a super Bowl, but Philly has
won at a high level in the regular season last
few years, especially what AJ's been there.

Speaker 1 (59:59):
I think there may be something that says, is it
possible that AJ.

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
Brown sees the limitations in their office even with Sakwan
cooking the way he is saying, We're not gonna be
able to run the ball like this against everybody. We've
got to improve on some of our passing concepts, because
at first, I'm thinking.

Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
You know, what is he?

Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
You know this is not good vibes with you, AJ,
like when you're sitting here complaining like this, even though
quite honestly, if Xavier Legette catches that ball with fifty
four seconds left, seeing how the Eagles would have ended
that game would have been fascinating.

Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
VJ.

Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
I know I've held you, you've bitten your tongue, bite
it for thirty more a minute and thirty more seconds
because we're gonna kick it over to Steve the Seger.
Oh yeah, yeah, to update the NBA Cup. We've got
to update the NBA Cup. Everybody we do.

Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
We've had Steve Is the semi finals.

Speaker 5 (01:00:52):
Oh okay, I'm with you.

Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
I'm with you, Steve. I'm with you, Steve. I said
it last year, no one wanted to listen, but being sarcastic,
it was fun last year. This year does it's like,
I don't even know.

Speaker 10 (01:01:04):
I promise I will get to Did you notice that
they staggered the start times on the two semifinals in
Vegas so they could have separate admissions.

Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
Oh, so they can recoup the forty dollars for the
first entrance, and they get forty more for the second one.

Speaker 10 (01:01:17):
There were no tickets for forty Let me put it
that way, I bet. So Let's start with the Heisman
Trophy because the winner is Travis Hunter, Colorado wide receiver
and defensive back. And how about this from Stats Inc.
Twenty twenty four is the first year in sports where
the winners of the Heisman, the NBA MVP, and the
NHL MVP all played for teams in the same state.

(01:01:40):
Way to go Colorado because Nathan McKinnon of the Avs NHL,
Nicola jokicch of the Nuggets NBA AH, Travis Hunter of
the Buffaloes, who had ninety two receptions on offense, four
interceptions on defense, fifteen total touchdowns in twelve games. Finishing
second was Boise State running back Ashton Genty in first
place five votes. Hunter had an advantage of about five

(01:02:02):
fifty to three hundred in points. They said it was
the smallest margin of victory since two thousand and nine.
But Hunter was named on ninety three percent of the
ballots one way or another, which is top five all time,
and Hunter won five of the six voting regions. As
you look at the US map, he barely lost in
the far West three hundred and fifty seven points to

(01:02:22):
three point fifty four to the Boise State Star but
Travis Hunter is the Heisman Trophy winner of this college
football season. Navy was a winner defeating number twenty two
Army thirty one thirteen quarterback Blake Horback with four total
touchdowns two hundred four yards rushing. He was four of
nine passing in the game for one hundred seven yards.

(01:02:43):
Army will play Louisiana Tech in its bowl game. After
Marshall opted out due to a wave of transfers. We
have NFL news. Las Vegas defensive end Max Crosby is
out for the year. He'll have ankle surgery. Kansas City
activated kicker Harrison Butker, and Dallas defensive back treyvon n
Digs is likely out for the year. He'll have knee surgery.

Speaker 1 (01:03:03):
Now to the NBA Cup.

Speaker 10 (01:03:04):
Yes, a semifinal going on as we swoo. It is
Houston against top seed in the West, Oklahoma City and
the Rockets are up to thirty to twenty eight mid
second quarter. Top seed from the East, Milwaukee advanced earlier
over Atlanta one ten one oh two Janisan Tenecumpo with
thirty two points, fourteen rebounds, nine assists, and four block shots.

(01:03:27):
The NBA Cup Final will be Tuesday in Las Vegas.
Golden State is acquiring guard Dennis Shooter from the Nets.
In men's college hoops, number one, Tennessee is still undefeated
after winning at Illinois on a layup at the buzzers
sixty six sixty four. Kentucky beat Louisville. Dayton Is upset
number six Marquette tonight seventy one sixty three. Texas A

(01:03:48):
and M beat Purdue in Indianapolis. Clemson, ranked sixteenth, lost
at home in overtime to Memphis Cincinnati over Xavier. UCLA
came back to win at Arizona and guys. In women's
college troops, number nineteen, Tennessee made thirty three pointers in
its win against North Carolina Central. The final was one
thirty nine to fifty nine from three point range. The

(01:04:11):
Lady Vols were thirty for sixty three. Back to you,
so they shot a lot of threes, sixty three in
a forty minute game.

Speaker 1 (01:04:20):
What oh my, I have to go back one night
this weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:04:23):
I have to watch that. I don't even believe that happened.
I'd have to see that with my own eye. You know,
if Steve said it, it's verifying. You've got six hot
sixty what threes?

Speaker 10 (01:04:33):
Sixty three attempts?

Speaker 1 (01:04:34):
Yeah, how do you even get that many shots? Thank you?

Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
That's what I was gonna say. How do you even
get that many shots up in a forty minute game?

Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
I was thinking about this. There has to be one
by eighty. Now, mind you, I was.

Speaker 2 (01:04:46):
I was in math class with like Taylor Lawan and
Brandon Graham, So I'm not not a mathematician here, but
there has to be some level where the amount of
time in game, right, the forty minutes in a game first,
the amount of time where it takes you to three.
There has to be a level where those two meet, right,
and there's a maximum amount of threes.

Speaker 1 (01:05:06):
That could be taken a finite number, right, it has
to I just like I feel like that's where we're headed.
We're trying to find the limit, no doubt.

Speaker 10 (01:05:13):
Inspired by Loyola Marrimount basketball from the nineteen nineties college history. Yeah,
I haint gathers my goodness, that was an entertaining team to.

Speaker 1 (01:05:24):
South Alabama just missed a twenty two yard field goal.
You just brought up Michigan.

Speaker 10 (01:05:28):
By the way, if anybody's never seen that, watch and
I'm sure it's out there, the Michigan basketball versus Loyola
Marrimount n cuaa tournament game from the early ninety crazy
entertaining YouTube.

Speaker 2 (01:05:41):
That YouTube that for sure lived through it man, that
that team was just ridiculous and living back out ease
and hearing about this Loyola Marymount team.

Speaker 1 (01:05:50):
We didn't even know where it.

Speaker 5 (01:05:51):
Was coach by Paul Westhead. It had been Lakers coach
exactly ironically, he wasn't let.

Speaker 10 (01:05:56):
Go because Magic was complaining that they weren't up tippo
that I know, right, So he.

Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
Goes that was That was Paul west Head's few to
the NBA, like Bill Belichick had few.

Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
To the NFL succeed. That's hilarious.

Speaker 5 (01:06:14):
Oh man, all right, So back to age, just lay
it out.

Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
I said Option one selfish in general and all the
things that come with at Option two kind of seeing
the signs of the tides of the year before or
VJ is a third option of which I have not outlaid.

Speaker 3 (01:06:32):
I think the third option is he just it just
might be an idiot. Seriously, just might be because yeah,
because listen, man, First of all, you shouldn't have said it.

Speaker 1 (01:06:41):
That's number one.

Speaker 3 (01:06:42):
I'm getting really tired of hearing players say things that
they just know you shouldn't say.

Speaker 1 (01:06:46):
Who are you?

Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
You're a receiver, You're a good receiver, You're a great receiver.
You got paid your money, you're the alpha dog.

Speaker 5 (01:06:53):
W r W.

Speaker 1 (01:06:54):
I get it. But the offense.

Speaker 3 (01:06:55):
Let coaches coach guys, Let coach. I have a problem
with players talking about thematic things through the media. I
don't like it because you are If you got a
problem with the offense, if you got a problem with
the way things are being done, then talk to the
head coach and talk to the offensive coordinator.

Speaker 1 (01:07:12):
Don't put that vibe out in the air? Are you Jaylon?
Real quick?

Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
Do we?

Speaker 1 (01:07:16):
We don't know if you were saying It's like he
may not have had he man had these conversations.

Speaker 3 (01:07:22):
Okay, so then you know, if you had this conversations,
then let it stay there. You let one of them
say it to the press. You don't say it as
a player. What's gonna change you think? Oh now, let's
change it because he said it.

Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
To the press. He said it to the media, so.

Speaker 3 (01:07:34):
Now we'll change it. I don't understand what's wrong with
the offense. I see an eleven to two team that
has a sensational running back that's probably gonna win the MVP.

Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
This is what you gonna ride. We're riding this. Why
are you even complaining you're not getting beat up as much.

Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
Yeah, you may not have your numbers in your stats,
but you've been paid handsomely by the Philadelphia Eagles in
a National Football League. Ride this out, bro. Last year
things start to fall apart, and whose name was like
in the mix of things again?

Speaker 1 (01:08:00):
It was a J. Brown.

Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
This just might be who you are. This may be
a t O type deal. This could be easy to
be a Brandon Marshall type deal. Not as big as
those yet we haven't gotten there. But that's how those
things started, Antonio Brown. That's how those things start. They
always start. Well, uh, you know, we probably need to
do this more, do that more, especially when it's not
actually what's really it totally team being asked, you're volunteering,

(01:08:24):
in my opinion information that the question His answer was
one word.

Speaker 1 (01:08:29):
So the question was, what do you think the offense
needs to work on.

Speaker 3 (01:08:32):
Yeah, okay, I got you, But passing, No, it's I
just think a more suitable But there's always a lot
of things that we have to work on.

Speaker 1 (01:08:39):
There is no one thing.

Speaker 2 (01:08:40):
No, I agree, I'm gonna tell you you feel me.
It wasn't like he said we got to wave out
and said our offense needs to work on. The passing
was asked and then response, I'm just just gotcha. But
he knew what he was doing by it by saying.

Speaker 1 (01:08:51):
It that way.

Speaker 2 (01:08:51):
But my thing he knew what he was doing. Thing
is that okay, well, all of those things are true.
But I mean, if I'm a J Brown, I got big,
I've won at a high level. That's why I just wonder,
like if he's seeing something that is very similar to
what he saw last year.

Speaker 1 (01:09:06):
And the other thing is this.

Speaker 2 (01:09:08):
Ultimately can't be this is either way because I think
it's a little unfair to be like this is the
beginning of AJ Brown becoming Antonio Brown.

Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
I know, I don't think so. But these small things though,
Mary's what I'm saying. His name, his name was in
the mixed last year.

Speaker 2 (01:09:20):
He took a lot of big things for Antonio Brown
to become Antonio Brown, which is what I'm saying, I.

Speaker 1 (01:09:24):
Take that one off the table. I'm saying, take the
Antonio Brown name off the table.

Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
Took a lot of big things for that. That so,
But the thing that is to me, the biggest thing.
A wide receiver being upset about whatever is not breaking news.
It's not a surprise, and it happens on at any
given moment in time. Twenty of the thirty two teams
in the NFL. Right, you pick what I'm more thinking

(01:09:54):
about and when I find it even more fascinated about
this when you juxtaposed this game Steelers Eagles, big game,
Mike Tomlin potential Super Bowl preview. Mike Tomlin has shown
time after time after time he is willing to move
off of receivers before they become drama. Jontay Johnson gets

(01:10:18):
traded this season. This season, all of a sudden, you know,
everybody's crushing job Devondre Campbell for not wanting to play. Well,
there's another guy who also did it. This wasn't on
Thursday Night Football. It was Deontay Johnson. Right, that's the
guy who Mike Tomlin traded to Baltimore. He saw him
move on from Antonio Brown. We've seen him move like

(01:10:39):
all of We've seen that happen so many times. And
I think the reason is is because I don't think
that this is the first time that aj Brown has
had this conversation.

Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
Or are brought up this topic.

Speaker 2 (01:10:49):
I think I think that part of the thing that
proves that it is to me is Brandon Graham talking
about the interactions between the two that that to me
illustrates that they have. While they may been acrimonious, while
they may have been argumentative, they're not the first time
we've talked about it. It may not have been throw
me the damn ball, but it's not the first time
they've talked about it.

Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
Might have been. We just might not know that part
of it.

Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
But I'm saying with Brandon Graham saying what he said
to Wyp and Philly, that gives me the sign that
it is not man but the thing that is just
Mike Tomlin would have this under control. And Nick Sirianni,
who does not call the plays, he does not coordinate
the defense.

Speaker 1 (01:11:30):
All he does is supposed to be there. It's supposed
to be there for the vibes.

Speaker 2 (01:11:34):
This is what his job is and this is the
second year in a row, this exact scenario has reared
its head.

Speaker 3 (01:11:40):
Okay, so my only thing with it's we need to
work on the passing game, all right. I just looked
up the two losses, the two losses against the Buccaneers,
and and I gets Atlanta two games he didn't play in. Okay,
So if you need to work on the passing, all right, fine,
But once again, you're you're an eleven and two team.
You're gonna win a division. There's nothing wrong with the

(01:12:01):
passing game. What I see wrong is that you're you're complaining,
if that's what it is as far as getting the
ball or what have you. So I guess to answer
your question, maybe this is selfishness because if I want
to leave in the two team my quarterback, who I
just talked to Jail Hurts myself two weeks ago and
asked them specifically, what did it feel like about having
a guy like Sequon Because you don't have to show

(01:12:22):
them too much more of the load in the running
game anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:12:25):
You look fresher, you look more agile out there. He
looked me right in my eyes and said, yes, I am.

Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
That's the bigger picture. There's nothing wrong with the passing game.
It's that we got sa Quon Barkley, so we don't
have to sling it around the field. That's not what
we are, that's not what we do. Problem is, it
feels like you have a receiver who still wants you
to do.

Speaker 3 (01:12:44):
What's gonna either be selfish and make him look good
or it's gonna get him on what another contract.

Speaker 1 (01:12:50):
Or whatever the deal is.

Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
But I'm looking at this team and I'm like, bro,
there's nothing wrong with the passing game. You run with Saquon,
you run through, you go through, play action, you get
the ball at Devon Devon, missing game, Aja, You've missed games.

Speaker 1 (01:13:04):
You've missed a handful of games, Homie.

Speaker 2 (01:13:05):
Yeah, but it's also been you say there's nothing wrong
with the passing game. It was definitely not explosive because
they've had six games where they've thrown less for less
than two hundred yards. And if you do that for
one sixty less than one sixty, it is five games
less than a hundred and sixty yards.

Speaker 3 (01:13:21):
What do they records in those games? D is he
any of them against? I know one of them against
uh six or four and two?

Speaker 5 (01:13:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:13:26):
Okay, So the four two again, because I know the
point of the matter is you're gonna have to throw
the ball. The postseason, we'll see Pittsburghs run defense is incredible.
It is one of the best units in the in
the league. So we'll see what ends up happening there.
We'll also see what big Pat has. Are you ready
over there?

Speaker 1 (01:13:42):
Do you have something prepared?

Speaker 10 (01:13:43):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (01:13:44):
I've been ready.

Speaker 1 (01:13:45):
Well that's a drop.

Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
We'll get to that coming up next Martin wise vite Howsky,

He's been talking big trash. That's right, Chris Tucker.

Speaker 1 (01:14:26):
Stop asking the damn questions.

Speaker 5 (01:14:29):
Well you know what, Martin VJ. It is time for
what It's a season of giving everybody. And you know what,
I'm giving Martin and VJ another edition of Who You Got?
And also you ask, let's go, I'm gonna be giveing
the l in a minute, and here too with this
good one right here. So guys, well tis the season
it is? Who you Got? I got a guy it's

(01:14:49):
gonna be in the football spectrum of things. And why
don't we just get cracking at it? And let's go.
So this man right here went to Oregon, where he
played his entire college tenure. Let's see, he is a
three time Pro bowler. He made second team All Pro
two times in his career h and also made first

(01:15:12):
team Pac twelve one time when he was also in college.
And I'll go with one more hint before we go
to here. Who you got? Here? Okay, he was a
Pro Football Writers of America All Rookie team and also
one time was an NFL Interceptions co leader once. So

(01:15:32):
with that said Martin VJ, welcome back to Who You Got?
Who do you Get?

Speaker 1 (01:15:39):
Leader? Ahmad Rashad?

Speaker 5 (01:15:42):
I love that, but that is not who it is.

Speaker 1 (01:15:45):
I love it, though.

Speaker 5 (01:15:47):
Good one.

Speaker 1 (01:15:48):
What's his name? TJ?

Speaker 2 (01:15:50):
Ward?

Speaker 5 (01:15:51):
No, but that's another good one.

Speaker 1 (01:15:53):
Ao I interceptions.

Speaker 5 (01:15:56):
No, but that's a good. That was a good. I
remember him that you're making me.

Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (01:16:02):
Okay, you said he led the league. He was a
co leader co leader. But I mean yes, but with
someone else as well, that's what that means. Yes, I shush,
he is all right. I'll give you one more. He
is a former second round pick and I will tell
you where at least, maybe not the exact year, but
I'll give you a area. It's uh, it was in

(01:16:25):
the two thousands, not twenty ten, but it was. Let's
go with further past past two thousand and five, closer
to between two thousand and five and twenty ten.

Speaker 1 (01:16:37):
Five five interception leaders.

Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
Out of Oregon, Ryan Clark. No, Earl Thomas is in
my head right now, but that's just because he is.

Speaker 5 (01:16:52):
From Teas And I will not go lob for my Seahawks.
That's too easy for everybody, and you guys, easy for me. Okay, Okay,
let's go with one more here, all right. He played
for three teams in his NFL tenure. He played for
the Carolina Panthers, the Nolin Saints that's Martin's team, and

(01:17:14):
the Buffalo Bills as well.

Speaker 1 (01:17:16):
Jerrus Bird.

Speaker 3 (01:17:17):
Yeah, I was about to say that was easy. He
was terrible in New Orleans, Sure he was, and y'all
paid him to its terrible.

Speaker 1 (01:17:25):
He paid him. I said, yeah, you guys paid him
for going on in there short day. He took the money.
That's why I remember the money. Like what's safety from Oregon?

Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
Man?

Speaker 1 (01:17:34):
Because I knew it was a safety as soon as
you said it man. The ones I had, I just
I knew.

Speaker 3 (01:17:43):
Dolphin safety for arms, like, he hasn't been in the
league long, and holl was like, he hasn't been in
the league long.

Speaker 5 (01:17:48):
And I honestly don't usually go with guys that are
currently still playing. I will go guys from my past.

Speaker 1 (01:17:55):
Definitely doesn't qualify.

Speaker 3 (01:17:57):
Years were Buffalo. That's why I remember him his best years.
He was average in Carolina. He's right, he was bad, normal,
he got burned.

Speaker 5 (01:18:04):
That's kind of why I picked him, because I remember
him burn in New Orleans. I was looking up guys
and I'm like, oh, I'm like, oh, I remember watching
him as a kid in nine to thirteen was when
he was with Buffalo. I'm like, that was when I
was still teen and and I'm like, oh, I remember
watching him and then Madden and stuff, So I'm like,
that's a good one, so kind of like how I go.

Speaker 2 (01:18:23):
October seventeen, twenty twenty four, Jerrus Bird was on Turn
Back to Flock with TJ Ward, who I guessed, and
Veron McKinley was a great college football player at Oregon's
on the Arizona practice squad.

Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
And what's what is the TV shows on? That's podcast
Go Ducks just popped up on.

Speaker 3 (01:18:42):
Podcast Jaded Quack Quack. That's a quack cast, the quacks
Quack Cast. Say, I just dude, I just marketed something
up there right now for free.

Speaker 1 (01:18:50):
Here here here Eagles, Steelers, Bill's Lions, which one more
likely to be a super Bowl preview. I hope neither.
Bill's Lyon. I think so too. Yeah, those lines, those lines, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:19:05):
It's quarterbacks, all about the quarterback. Steelers aren't going to
the super Bowl cause they still have an old quarterback.
Russell Wilson's played good. I'm not I haven't banged on him.

Speaker 1 (01:19:13):
I know has been great this season and.

Speaker 5 (01:19:16):
Russell, I'm hoping Bill's vikings.

Speaker 1 (01:19:19):
So we had no expectations for Russell Wilson.

Speaker 3 (01:19:22):
Going exactly That's why I just said it's been it's
been a good year phone. But in the postseason they're
gonna need more than that. They're beat up right now.
Presport's got some injuries.

Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
When you're on a road trip, sometimes it's been fifteen
hours since you've eaten. That gas station has great food.
That's Russell Wilson picks Atomic Dogs coming up next, Martin
to VJ, Fox Sports Radio. That's right, and we're broadcasting
live from the tire rack dot Com studios, tire rack
dot com. Well, if you get there with an unmaxed election,

(01:19:49):
fast re shipping, Freid has a protection over ten thousand.
Recommend that installars tire iraq dot com. It's the way
that tire buying should be in right here every Saturday night.
It's the way that sports talk, right video should be
Martin Wise vij Husking on a Fox Sports Football Saturday. Yes,
it's time to go ahead. Let's flip the calendar forward
one day exactly. Do the Atomic Dogs.

Speaker 1 (01:20:11):
VJ.

Speaker 2 (01:20:12):
We already had one underdog win out right earlier this
week is the Los Angeles Rams kicked field goals all
the way to beating the San Francois called forty nine ers.

Speaker 1 (01:20:21):
We do this every time.

Speaker 2 (01:20:22):
This week ten o'clock Eastern, seven o'clock Pacific, we tell
you which one of the underdogs are gonna go ahead
and win?

Speaker 1 (01:20:27):
Outright? Patrick Ju? Did Ian send you how we did
last week? He did?

Speaker 5 (01:20:31):
Infect send me forward? Well, both of you have the
same record in this and with that you both went
two and one. Congratulations Martin VJ. Two and one for
a couple of dogs in the studio. Right now, let's go.

Speaker 1 (01:20:44):
And you know what I remember VJA saying I was
going oh and three last week two to one. Sure,
I've been on fire. My smile is I've been on
fire two outright?

Speaker 4 (01:20:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:20:56):
Do you know what you could do with that this
time of the year for do you know how much
that money go underdogs? Last week?

Speaker 5 (01:21:03):
Under doubt?

Speaker 1 (01:21:03):
All right, VJ, All right, let's start it off.

Speaker 2 (01:21:05):
Man. My first underdog, them Jags. I told y'all what
they was gonna do last week, and they went pulled
it off for me.

Speaker 1 (01:21:11):
So I'm gonna let them do it for me again.

Speaker 3 (01:21:13):
As they are three point underdog at home against them
bum ass Jets, and we know them bum ass Jets
going due. Is they gonna just mail the rest of
the year, because then they've been doing aim, in playing
good aim and doing nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:21:24):
We know what they was gonna be the end of
the year.

Speaker 3 (01:21:26):
Give me the Jags, though, man to try to salvage
a little bit of that stuff that's still living the
end of this year and mess up. Possibly get Travis
Hunter with the number three overall pick in the twenty
twenty five NFL Draft. Give me the Jags at home
plus three, and give me the under on this forty
and a half. Ain't nobody moving the ball and scoring
this skate tomorrow, low scoring game.

Speaker 2 (01:21:45):
Jags win at home? All right, My first underdog is
a Monday night game. Patrick Clever, your ears, close your eyes.
Sorry about this. With the Chicago Bears beat the Minnesota Vikings.
Your interim coach bounce comes one day too lit, I
you know what, this was my one last week I
got wrong. They're not gonna fight.

Speaker 1 (01:22:00):
Why are you doing it again? Because they can't lose
all of them. I'm going back. They're gonna be the Niners.
Last week. But listen, was I not? I was four
days early calling the Niners meltdown. That's what it was.

Speaker 2 (01:22:15):
I said, the Niners are gonna melt down, and sure
enough it all it took was a little bit of rain.

Speaker 1 (01:22:19):
Just add water.

Speaker 5 (01:22:22):
Here.

Speaker 2 (01:22:22):
I think the dead coach, the dead coach bounce, the
dead cat bounce happens for the interim head coach Thomas Brown.

Speaker 1 (01:22:28):
They get it together, they win a very very close game.

Speaker 5 (01:22:32):
I'm gonna melt down if the Vikings lose the Bears. Martin, well, I.

Speaker 1 (01:22:36):
Hope you were such screens. Yeah, exactly. He needs it
all right.

Speaker 2 (01:22:39):
So now we'll stick with Patrick's thing for his teams
because my second dog is the.

Speaker 1 (01:22:42):
Two and a half point on the dog at home.
I'm with you there.

Speaker 3 (01:22:46):
You gounk on Arizona and they was gonna beat them
last week, so I gotta stick with him this week.
They've done well for me, so I want to stick
with him. The Packers, they got some holes on that team,
even though the defense is good. Josh Jacob doing this thing.
I like Jordan Love. I wanted to see more of
a leeb, but I haven't seen yet. But I haven't
seen a fall, so I can't knock the kid. But
I think Seattle, especially.

Speaker 2 (01:23:07):
With the Rams winning this division, is still up for
grabs and they still have to play the Rams.

Speaker 3 (01:23:13):
You much rather have a one game lead over the Rams.
It'd be even with the Rams, or even two game
lean to be even better. Give me the Seahawks and
my man GEO to get a home win. Tomorrow is
gonna be cold and rainy. Up there, let's go have
to give it a Seahawks for my second doll plus
two and a half at home.

Speaker 2 (01:23:29):
Give me under on this forty six and a half
too for my second dog. I don't know if I
go with the under, but I definitely take the Seahawks
side of things. The the reason why I'm concerned about
the under is also one of the reasons I'm taking
the Seahawks. Jordan Love. If you haven't noticed it, go
back and look at the last three games. What's been
happening Josh Jacobs a ton of rushing touchdowns in Jordan Love, down, down, down,

(01:23:50):
past attempts. They are limiting him in a way that
I don't necessarily like for a guy who just paid
at the top of the quarterback market. I think he
throws an interception this week. It's been three in a row,
four in a row since then.

Speaker 1 (01:24:01):
He's due, that's what he does.

Speaker 2 (01:24:04):
Give me the Seahawks to win out right on Monday night,
our Sunday night, Sunday.

Speaker 5 (01:24:10):
Night for you, Martin, I forgive you now and my
last one.

Speaker 1 (01:24:14):
They need it.

Speaker 2 (01:24:15):
This team needs to win more than any other team
in the entire league. Tomorrow morning, I will have this
game on in my cars.

Speaker 3 (01:24:22):
I traveled down to so far to take care of
the Chargers and the Buccaneers.

Speaker 2 (01:24:26):
But my mighty Miami Dolphins from Miami, from southweg baby,
we gotta go get this with my friend, because the
games we have left, we have the Niners.

Speaker 1 (01:24:35):
That's a dove. We have the Browns, that's a.

Speaker 3 (01:24:36):
Dove, and then we finished with the mom Ass Jets,
and we can get to ten and seven.

Speaker 1 (01:24:41):
Like I said, we win when Oo's came back. I
need this to cash in. But we've gotta go get
this one in Texas tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (01:24:48):
It's only a two and a half point Vegas likes
points forty six and a half. I think Oos is sharp,
and I think the Dolphins defense makes a turnover.

Speaker 1 (01:24:56):
Hey, CJ.

Speaker 3 (01:24:57):
Stroud hasn't fallen either, but he has it taking that
leap that everybody was predicting he was gonna take.

Speaker 1 (01:25:03):
He can be had on defense.

Speaker 3 (01:25:04):
Chop Robinson is starting to understand what it means to
be a professional rush in in the NFL. They get
to him, called the turnover. The defense saves the game
for the Dolphins, and my Dolphins even up at five
hundred with three to go to get to the playoffs.
Following that Broncos team you love so much. To the coach,
give me the Dolphins tomorrow in Houston, plus two and

(01:25:25):
a half from my final dog.

Speaker 2 (01:25:30):
My last dog is gonna be fitting. I'm going to
the dog pound. The Kansas City Chiefs dropped a game.
The lock runs out a pound. Cleveland field goal kicker
has been absolutely abominal.

Speaker 1 (01:25:46):
Over the last few weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:25:47):
He snaps back Jameis Winston, no turnovers, wos game, and
something finally goes wrong for Kansas City. They dropped to
twelve and two.

Speaker 1 (01:25:59):
Wins. Oh, let's get to the picks.

Speaker 5 (01:26:05):
Alright, Martin VJ. Well, I do have your records from
last week, and I do have the tally uh for
all together as well. It is time for the picks,
and I do have some with us. But before that,
you both also matched the same thing both one and
four and overall, you guys are at a gridlock deadlock

(01:26:29):
tie overall in this whole entire season.

Speaker 1 (01:26:32):
So maybe says is high quality back. Something's gotta give.
What was the records last week?

Speaker 5 (01:26:38):
Indid actually give me the records, but he said, you
guys are in the dead luck tie.

Speaker 1 (01:26:40):
All right, So whatever it was, we were going in,
all right, let's go.

Speaker 5 (01:26:44):
All right, all right, we're gonna go.

Speaker 1 (01:26:47):
We're gonna go my first game that I got picked.

Speaker 5 (01:26:49):
We have the Washington Commanders going on and play marn
WASH's New Orleans Saints, Noland Saints.

Speaker 1 (01:26:57):
I'm gonna go.

Speaker 5 (01:26:58):
Eenie Meanie, Mighty Martin, you get to go first.

Speaker 1 (01:27:01):
Are you picking?

Speaker 5 (01:27:01):
You're picking your Saints?

Speaker 1 (01:27:03):
No, We're gonna No, okay, now I'm picking the Washington Commanders.
They win this game.

Speaker 2 (01:27:06):
It's a get right spot. Marshawn Lattimore finally plays again.
Zulander is starting at quarterback for the New Orleans Takes.
I'm not joking.

Speaker 1 (01:27:14):
When you look at it, just google Google literally google this.

Speaker 2 (01:27:17):
If you're driving be safe with to a red light
Jake Hayner Model photos. You'll find out what I'm talking about. Literally,
Zoo Language starts for that quarterback for New Orleans. Give
me the Washington Commanders here seven and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:27:29):
I'm gonna take I had it at eight is when
I wrote it down, So I'm gonna take the Saints.
I think the Saints covered his game. Think Washington wins
this game, but I think the Saints covered his game.
Washington put a pretty good whooping on I think it
was the Giants last week.

Speaker 1 (01:27:41):
They just wherever they were beating. I forget it was
the tight excuse me saynes Sea Titans.

Speaker 3 (01:27:44):
Beating them like a drum. But going on the road,
I just I just like the energy that Rizzie does
have with this team.

Speaker 1 (01:27:50):
I think they fight hard.

Speaker 3 (01:27:51):
I don't think they win him cutting somebody out, but
absolutely that's that fires this team needs, obviously, But I
like them at home in a hostile environment.

Speaker 1 (01:27:58):
I like them to cover. Give me says to cover.

Speaker 5 (01:28:00):
It is eight points tomorrow, all right, Well they're gonna
be covered on that one. You know what I'm covering
on this one. Next, guys, we got the Indianapolis Colts
and they are on the road. They're taking on the
Denver bow Knicks Broncos with Sean Payton. Broncos are in
fact home, and we're gonna go flip the script here, VJ.

(01:28:21):
You get first dig at this one. Sir, where are
we going?

Speaker 3 (01:28:24):
I actually I want to go Broncos. I would have
to go coach because of playoff position with the Dolphins.
They have the tiebreaker over Miami because when we didn't
have Ooz, we lost their fifteen thirteen on the last
second field goal. But this Broncos team and this defense,
and what Vance has done with this defense is really
making me, is really making me a believer. It seem
could score points now bow knicks. He's He's the prototypical

(01:28:46):
type of quarterback that Payton one. Don't make mistakes, small guys,
strong built, stocky to the ground, can make the throws,
can run and get around when he needs to, don't
turn the ball over, run the football.

Speaker 1 (01:28:56):
I hate to do it, man, I'm gonna I'm gonna
need some other help from the coach.

Speaker 3 (01:28:58):
The opponents still last three three weeks six season, But
I'm not gonna be stupid here. Give me the Broncos
and I like them to cover this also too, Anthony Richardson,
and he's got a lot to work on this offseason.

Speaker 1 (01:29:08):
The kid kid's not a good passer at the ball.
Broncos win. To paraphrase another head coach in the state
of Colorado. Do you believe, man? Do you believe?

Speaker 2 (01:29:19):
Now?

Speaker 1 (01:29:20):
Do you believe? Now?

Speaker 2 (01:29:21):
Give me the Denver Broncos in a game in which
this offense is going to walk up and down the
field against the Indianapolis Colts.

Speaker 1 (01:29:28):
Is the Colts defense terrible? No?

Speaker 2 (01:29:30):
But the meeting of the minds between Sean Payton offensive
coordinator and Gus Bradley defensive the coordinator is is uh,
Jake Paul versus Mike Tyson. All right, give me Sean Paul,
I mean, scheump Sean Paul. Wow, give me Sean Payton. Right,
They'll be lighting up that Broncos four and a half.

Speaker 1 (01:29:50):
That's am, that's am, that's him.

Speaker 5 (01:29:54):
Well, I may not have Jake Paul versus Mike Tyson
on this, but I do have this one for you, Martin.
I got the Pittsburgh Seam on the road taking on
the Philadelphia Eagles. Philly is of course home here in
this one. And Martin, it may not be a boxing match,
but who are you taking on this one? Who's the
Jake Pollen, who is the Mike Tyson?

Speaker 1 (01:30:12):
Maybe it will be a boxing match.

Speaker 2 (01:30:13):
You never know, it's actually kicking teeth to be ruled out,
so it might be become actual boxing match. At some
point during this game, that was a Joe come on anyway,
uh Vija, you know it well enough. At this point,
Mike Tomlin as a short underdogby what are we doing here?

Speaker 1 (01:30:31):
Is the sun gonna come up tomorrow? Will the calendar
turned to the next day.

Speaker 2 (01:30:35):
It's like, yeah, well, I'm betting on Mike Tomlin as
an undred dog, especially when you consider all of the
drama coming out of Philly, and with so much drama
in Philadelphia, I'm not expecting Nick Sirianni to be the
guy who you know, is smoothing everything over. He's already
shaved his head once he's he can't pull that card again.
Give me the Steelers last three weeks, we're tied.

Speaker 3 (01:30:58):
At some point one of us has at time maybe
take some chances on games that they really don't want to.
I agree with everything you said about the Stellers, especially
Tomlin on a short week, but I'm gonna lean into
this being a different Eagle team. I know there's some
rumblings right now, but the injuries aren't there that were
there last year. Especially Jalen Hurt was beat down by
this time. That's not the Jalen Hurt that we see now,

(01:31:18):
that's not the Jalen Hurt that I spoke to. He's
refreshed and Saquon knows he's in sight for you know,
two thousand yards and an MVP.

Speaker 2 (01:31:26):
I don't think this thing stops. He's gotta get one
to eleven tomorrow to track exactly for two grands record.
But yeah, for Dickerson's record.

Speaker 3 (01:31:34):
But the Steelers got some injuries on that back end,
on that defense man, and I think, get get aj involved, man,
let's get past this.

Speaker 1 (01:31:41):
I actually like Philly.

Speaker 3 (01:31:43):
I'm gonna take yep, I'm gonna take Philly that actually
covered his five and a half that I got down,
and give me over big time, give me over on
the forty three.

Speaker 5 (01:31:52):
All right, all right, we're gonna go over there with
the Eagles. Well, I'm gonna go over to the West
Coast for this one, guys, because we have the New
England Patriots taking on the Arizona Cardinals. Cardinals are in
fact home with this one in the West Coast, and
mister VJ. Husky are we gonna go with the NFC
West team, We're going AFC East, your rival.

Speaker 3 (01:32:13):
And now the Patriots have done me well and it's
underdogs this year. But I think the Cardinals should be
embarrassed and be very very pissed off of what happened
last Sunday in the division game at home. Perfect scenario
to take over the division, and they dropped the ball.
I would love to take the Patriots to come in here.
You know what I'll do it, Give me the Patriots
to cover. I got it six is when I wrote

(01:32:36):
it down a song.

Speaker 1 (01:32:37):
I got it at six. Give me the Patriots to
cover here. Give me hell.

Speaker 2 (01:32:41):
You know what, Drake May goes off a little bit.
I think Coliner is gonna do his things. So I'll
take over in a forty five and a half too.
This is the most important game so far of Jonathan
Gannon's coaching career. Arizona three weeks ago was primed to
take this division.

Speaker 1 (01:32:56):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:32:57):
Now three weeks later, you're looking up at Matthews Aft
in the Rams. You're looking up at Gino Smith and
the Seahawks, and now you look at rookie head coach
and an old quarterback like all like all the things
that I you know, are still true. Arizona has to
win this game this honestly, no kidding. If they don't
turn this thing around, we might be looking at a
new head coach in Arizona due to what is twenty

(01:33:20):
some games from now, they've like three in a row.

Speaker 1 (01:33:22):
So let me say this is right.

Speaker 2 (01:33:24):
You gotta get through this little mud period that you
are for the Cardinals, otherwise we could be looking at
a new coaching so soon.

Speaker 1 (01:33:32):
There.

Speaker 3 (01:33:32):
You can't go back every soon. They were just in
the playoffs. You can't go backwards, and you just can't.

Speaker 5 (01:33:39):
Yes, sir, indeed, all right, we're gonna go with my
final one here, and we're actually gonna go back to
Actually we're not going back, We're going even further west here, Martin.
We have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking on the Los
Angeles Chargers, the Superchargers home and you know what the

(01:34:00):
j No, Martin, you get to go first in this?

Speaker 1 (01:34:03):
Are we going charges?

Speaker 4 (01:34:05):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:34:05):
I'm taking the Bucks here. The Chargers offense just can't
get started. Tampa's offenses look pretty good. Baker Mayfield's been
playing really really well, a little under the radar, but
I'll take the Buccaneers here and again. They'll go ahead
and win and cover.

Speaker 3 (01:34:19):
Chargers look great at home other than when the Ravens
come in here. I think the offense will be fine tomorrow.
If not, the defense is definitely gonna be there. Derwin
James has been playing ballistic and out of his mind.
I like this three points at home. I think it's
a very tightly contested game. But I do think some
of the offensive weapons that somebody else has got to
step up other than lab McConkie.

Speaker 1 (01:34:38):
They need another.

Speaker 3 (01:34:39):
Offensive skill position guy to step up and be the
guy with this offense. But I think Herbert makes enough plays.
Kicking game is good. Defense is good. I like what
Mitch is doing. They're with the defense. Go ahead and
give me the Chargers, and I like the Charges to cover.
I like twenty four to twenty in this game. I
think they cover the three, so give me charge.

Speaker 1 (01:34:56):
The cover bonus.

Speaker 2 (01:34:57):
Dallas Carolina Carolina favorite for the first time thirty four games,
two and a half. The line Demarveon Overshowing tore every
ligament of his knee.

Speaker 1 (01:35:05):
Last time Dallas was I you saw guys crying.

Speaker 2 (01:35:07):
Xavier Logett dropped the game when he touched on the
last time the Panthers were oute your answer, Panthers.

Speaker 1 (01:35:13):
Panthers get the dub b why, throws for two touchdowns
and leads his team to a victory. One two win?
What one win last year to wins last year?

Speaker 3 (01:35:20):
All the way up some possible four and five new
head coach started to build there by I'm with you
on the should have got last week man with.

Speaker 2 (01:35:26):
The Panthers as well, they've been playing a different brand
of football since the calendar turned November.

Speaker 1 (01:35:31):
All right, well coming up next, if you listen to me.

Speaker 2 (01:35:34):
At all, I have been pounding the table saying there
was going to be a confluence of events in the
NFL that would lead to one big money bet coming in.

Speaker 1 (01:35:46):
I did it all summer, I did it two third
days ago, and you know what.

Speaker 2 (01:35:50):
I'm gonna do it again in ten minutes And VJ
now is finally on board. Martin Weiss, VJ Husky, Fox
Sports Radio. Martin and VJ coming to you live from
the Tire IRAQ dot com studios. You can follow us
on Twitter and tweet the show. I'm at Martin Wise,
VJ at Big Vanilla Funny will answer your tweets throughout
the show, but VJ we're just real fast.

Speaker 1 (01:36:12):
What is this? Who is this? Is this Ludacris? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (01:36:15):
Man, it's from the soundtrack Fred Claus. Oh, all right,
you don't like Ludris or something.

Speaker 3 (01:36:21):
No, I love Ludichris, But just just like where everybody's
gotta make a Christmas song, now.

Speaker 1 (01:36:27):
Christmas song?

Speaker 12 (01:36:28):
This is how you know singers don't do Christmas music anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:36:31):
Yeah, that's cool, all right, go ahead, man.

Speaker 2 (01:36:35):
So I personally think I've said it several times that
the path for this specific person to win the MVP.

Speaker 1 (01:36:45):
Is live and has been alive the entire year. VJ.

Speaker 2 (01:36:48):
You said it in the group text today he said,
why aren't more people talking about ye? Who Jared Golf
as MVP? I just don't understand why they are twelve
and one? He is playing lights out, they are the
number one seed. They are they are they are a
legit contender. And what age and year do we live

(01:37:09):
in where quarterbacks having this much success and playing this
well and not in the MVP conversation. I understand Saquan's
having a great year, but I don't even hear this
guy's name. I'm hearing Josh Allen.

Speaker 1 (01:37:21):
One seed in the NFC.

Speaker 3 (01:37:24):
Yeah, and what some people believe it's the best team
in football. I have my Power five rankings. I won't
tell you where he is, but they're in the top five,
that's for sure. They're in the top two. So I'm
just trying to figure out why we're not getting and
I think what it is is we're having Ta Kwan
is doing something.

Speaker 1 (01:37:39):
He's chasing a.

Speaker 3 (01:37:40):
Record, a very significant record, where I just heard Eric
Dickerson admit he does not want him to break his record,
Like he's not that guys like, yeah, it's good for
the game, break my race. He's like, no, I want
my record to stand forever. But you got a guy
chasing it, and you got their team also productive and
winning two at eleven and two. So I think maybe
that's taking some lust that they maybe people thinking his

(01:38:00):
team so loaded that he's just being I hate to
use this term, I won't even use it.

Speaker 1 (01:38:05):
I'll say distributor. He's being a master distributor. But I
hate that.

Speaker 2 (01:38:09):
I don't agree with that. That is what I'm saying
is who are the I mean, I'm not trying to
knock the line. I think they have a very solid roster.
Yeah they did wrong, but I think that if you like,
their roster is full of guys who are b plus
to see just in the right places in my opinion,
whereas like there's no a J.

Speaker 1 (01:38:26):
Brown on the Lions.

Speaker 2 (01:38:27):
Roster, there's nobody that you know what I'm saying, there's
no Justin Jefferson on the Lions roster. But he ain't that,
But that that's kind of a point. I'm saint Brown
is the best receiving option, but would you have him
in the class with now? I know contractually he's in
the class, but like he's not making the catches to
justice Jamar Chase.

Speaker 3 (01:38:46):
I think out of my time when we did my
top Timber Receivers, I think I had him at like
five or six.

Speaker 1 (01:38:50):
I just get him around. But okay, that is not no, No,
he's not Justin Jefferson. He's not Justin Jefferson, but like
he's the best one in the league than.

Speaker 2 (01:38:59):
Jamal are Justin Jefferson that level. Amana is a step
below that. But it's not a knock to him. I mean,
it's not a knocks that you're like the fourth best
or fifth that there is just is a gap. Very
much like with the quarterback situation and all of that,
But I think you're sitting here like people are trying
to fit Lamar Jackson in there, people are trying to
fit Josh Allen in there.

Speaker 1 (01:39:18):
It's odd. It's an odd phenomenon to me.

Speaker 2 (01:39:21):
I have thought that, you know, when you look at
the way that this award has been traditionally given out
of the last twenty years, you have to have a
one or two seed.

Speaker 1 (01:39:30):
You have to be a quarterback basically one of the
quarterback playing well.

Speaker 2 (01:39:34):
And you can go back in point at almost at
every candidate, you can go back in point just something
that they you know, weren't around for Like Saiquan has
three games where he rested the less eighty five yards, right,
Josh Allen had the worst game we seen a quarterback
play this year.

Speaker 1 (01:39:51):
Yeah, nine for thirty whatever coming out of the.

Speaker 2 (01:39:55):
Like the worst game we shee in a quarterback play
this year. And I know Golf had the five interception game.

Speaker 1 (01:40:00):
That's right, Golf did throw five picks that game came
back and won, Yeah they did, and he was a
major part of it.

Speaker 2 (01:40:07):
Coming up next, ja dipa Kel He's on three. He
does a hard count on YouTube's on three. College football
analysts and Fox Sports Radio college football analysts will go
through the different permutations. We'll see what he thinks about
the Heisman and everything going on in the NC double A. Oh,
Billy Bill almost forgot, got to ask him about Belichick

(01:40:28):
and that. But first we'll kick it over to Steve
de Sager, Steve South Alabama touchdown.

Speaker 1 (01:40:35):
Not leading with the NBA A not quite Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:40:39):
There is a bowl game going on.

Speaker 1 (01:40:40):
By the way, there's no soccer today, so we got
to kind of lead with something right.

Speaker 10 (01:40:43):
Things are really getting going over the next week. As
far as the bowl matchups, There's going to be a
game in Tampa with the Florida Gators Friday against Tulane.
Coastal Carolina has its bowl game in its home stadium
next Saturday.

Speaker 5 (01:40:55):
Is that qualify as a bowl game therefore, I'm not.

Speaker 1 (01:40:57):
Sure about that.

Speaker 10 (01:40:58):
And Navy did defeat ur or me not technically a
conference game and certainly not a bowl game, although it
had that flavor thirty one to thirteen. Navy defeated number
twenty two Army today. The Heisman Trophy winner Tonight's Travis Hunter,
Colorado wide receiver and defensive back. Finishing second was Boise
State running back Ashton Genty in first place votes. Hunter

(01:41:19):
had a decided advantage about five point fifty to three
hundred in total voting points. It was close as far
as the NBA game ongoing final minute of the third
quarter in Las Vegas. This is a semi final for
the NBA Cup. Oklahoma City is leading Houston seventy three
to sixty eight. Shay gilgis Alexander with twenty two points.
Neither team shooting well through the first half, especially from

(01:41:41):
three point range, a little better here in the third.
Oksee up by five points. The winner gets top seed
from the East Milwaukee and Tuesday's final in Las Vegas.
The Bucks defeated Atlanta one ten, one oh two Jannis
Antennacumpo thirty two points. Golden State is acquiring guard Dennis
Shooter from the Nets. The Lakers Bron James, with his
sore foot, was upgraded to questionable for tomorrow against Memphis.

(01:42:04):
Philadelphia rookie Jared McCain is out indefinitely. He'll have knee
surgery for a torn meniscus. The college basketball on the
men's side, Number one Tennessee is still undefeated after winning
on a layup at the buzzer at Illinois sixty six
sixty four. Kentucky beat Louisville Dayton upset number six. Marquette,
Connecticut has just beaten Gonzaga on Fox TV, seventy seven

(01:42:26):
to seventy one. In Indianapolis. Purdue fell to Texas A
and M in a Top twenty matchup. Clemson at home
lost in overtime to Memphis. UCLA beat Arizona in Phoenix.
Cincinnati over rival Xavier. Among the fifteen NHL games, Winnipeg
wins again four to two over Montreal, and Washington at
home a four to two winner against Buffalo, and Yes,

(01:42:50):
the salute to veterans bull South Alabama sixteen, Western Michigan ten,
late second quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:42:56):
There you go, Anthony Sambucci, CommonWell, household name, Western Michigan.

Speaker 1 (01:43:03):
I know who is a household name. That's our next guest,
j D Pakel. That's right. That the wan don of
college football.

Speaker 2 (01:43:10):
J D on three Hard The Hard Count on YouTube asked,
I mean, I asked you ask to JT second place,
JD and the Heisman Travis Hunter first place.

Speaker 1 (01:43:21):
Make this make sense to me?

Speaker 2 (01:43:23):
Cuz I five hundred and fifty two first place votes
seems like way more than three hundred and nine first
place votes, but apparently this was the smallest margin of
victory since I was.

Speaker 1 (01:43:38):
In high school for the for the Heisman.

Speaker 2 (01:43:40):
So how do you receive nearly double are more than
double the first place votes and it's the smallest margin
of victory and over in fifteen twenty years.

Speaker 4 (01:43:50):
Yeah, I mean we could, we could probably fill a
full hour long segment as to what's broken with the
Heisman Trophy voting and how it all works, who gets
a vote and all that. Like at the end of
the day, hearing it was close actually is encouraging, regardless
of what those numbers indicate, just because I think what
Aston Gent has Aston Jenty has done this year has

(01:44:11):
been so incredible and like my my biggest I guess
qualm with this whole Heisen Trophy discussion has been like
you can't think what Travis Hunter has done is generational
without somehow thinking Ashton Gent isn't worthy of like being
like the whole thing is just so lopsided, and maybe
it's a social media thing, but like I've said this
for a minute, like we I don't think we'll see

(01:44:31):
what Travis Hunter is doing ever again in the sport.
Like I know, we talk about Charles Woodson in his
Heisman year. Like Charles Woodson had eleven catches the Heisman
Trophy season, Travis Hunter has fourteen touchdown catches like that.
Chant Bailey had like forty something catches and he win
the Heisman. He was also playing corner. Travis Hunter is
like north of ninety. So I mean there's a long
discussion to be had here about Travis Hunter deserving the

(01:44:52):
Heisman Trophy. I think Ashton Genty any other year wins it.
But if you're asking me, I think it probably a
fair margin to put it by, and I think Travis
Hunter definitely deserves Heiss.

Speaker 1 (01:45:01):
What's going on, Jay? How you been? Brother?

Speaker 5 (01:45:04):
How we doing?

Speaker 4 (01:45:04):
Man?

Speaker 1 (01:45:04):
How we doing? I'm doing? Good house? The little One
to new audition and why everybody good?

Speaker 4 (01:45:08):
You know what? She has not been sleeping until tonight.
She's just been on a on a generational tear of
just getting some disease. So we're hoping that continues out here.
But all in all, Man Pods are tremendous.

Speaker 1 (01:45:20):
I appreciate how could you.

Speaker 2 (01:45:21):
Have expected her to sleep without knowing who the Heisman
was gonna be exactly exactly, That's what.

Speaker 4 (01:45:27):
I was saying. I told her it was big money
minus like twenty five hundred for Travis Hunter, but she
didn't believe me, So I don't know, all.

Speaker 3 (01:45:32):
Right, man, So let's line on to the stuff that
you need to make sure you get some sleep for
all of us, because the college Football Playoff is here, man,
and I got these first round games here Cliffs Ad, Texas, Tennessee,
Ohio SMU, Penn State, Indiana, nor to Dame.

Speaker 1 (01:45:45):
What game is intriguing you the most? And why.

Speaker 4 (01:45:49):
I sing Ohio State Tennessee is the most intriguing purely
because of what y'all's Michigan Wolverine just did to them
a few weeks ago. Like, y'all, if Ryan Day loses
this football game, regardless of how we all feel about
him and his resume as a head coach overall, like
I think that's probably going to be something where the
folks in Columbus bring out the pitchforks and the torches

(01:46:10):
and they end up firing him. So as must win
as it can be for a team that's made at
the College Football Playoff, and the fact that it's at
home too, Like I'm so curious to see what the
vibes are, especially if you know early on it's a
third down and they run a conservative play, like did
the Booberts come out in Columbus in a situation where
like you got to have home field advantage with what

(01:46:32):
Tennessee is bringing to the table, So I think that
matchup is really intriguing also with just what Tennessee has
been this year. Like if if I'm Tennessee watching that
Michigan Ohio State game, I'm like, oh, we can we
can do that. Like, God bless Davis Warren. He is
one of my favorite stores in college football. But like,
you got a quarterback in Eko Iamalalaiava who can give
you more than sixty yards passing it and you know,
probably less than two interceptions. So that matchup in itself

(01:46:54):
is super curious. That's side of the bracket to me
is really intriguing. But I'll say Tennessee Ohio State being
a most marquee of the first round matchups.

Speaker 1 (01:47:03):
All right, so here's the thing. I'm kind of rocking
a hard place here. Hand up.

Speaker 2 (01:47:07):
I'll admit it. I am not an SMU expert. Okay,
I saw I'll play twice.

Speaker 1 (01:47:12):
I didn't.

Speaker 2 (01:47:13):
I wasn't grinding the all twenty two. That's why we
call you win the professionals, all right, But I am
well familiar with James Franklin and his history as a
coach in college football. I know better than to trust
James Franklin in a big game. This is the biggest
game he's played. Our coach didn't. Rather basically in his career.

(01:47:34):
Who's gonna win this one?

Speaker 6 (01:47:35):
Is it?

Speaker 5 (01:47:36):
You?

Speaker 4 (01:47:36):
Like?

Speaker 2 (01:47:36):
Am I right to fear Penn State? Not because of
the opponent, but just because of Penn State?

Speaker 4 (01:47:43):
I think the reservations around James Franklin are extremely fair.
I think my guys something like three and eighteen against
top ten opponents, like not not a tremendous batting average
to be rolling with. I would say this though about
James Franklin. I think when we look at his time
at Penn State, for the most part, they have beaten
teams they're supposed to be SMU while they're the you know,

(01:48:06):
acc runner up, and they've had a really you know,
fun year. They're a fun story going up from the
G five, and they got exciting players in the backfield.
Like the talent gap between Penn State and SMU could
still be pretty vast on paper at least. I think
what Clemson did early on too, Like I have a
hard time game of that out of my mind. Like
I don't know if y'all remember, like early Saturday night

(01:48:27):
we're watching the Big Ten title.

Speaker 1 (01:48:31):
Yeah, I mentioned what did?

Speaker 4 (01:48:32):
This might be a snoozer. This might be a snoozer.
So I think I think Penn State should have the
advantage up front. I think that ends up being the difference.
But it's it's fair to be a little bit with
Leary of James Franklin about him.

Speaker 6 (01:48:41):
They get it done.

Speaker 1 (01:48:42):
Uh hey, another the game that's got my attention.

Speaker 3 (01:48:45):
I asked that question to set up my second question
is the game has got my attention to Indiana in
nor to day and you're talking about two teams that
average over forty and both give up less than fifteen.
Something's got to give here. But that's all Martin doing
commercial break. If there is a team that I've looked at,
I think we all have to find, Okay, who could
upset this whole thing, or who could get to the
final four, or who could be playing for the national
championship that we did not think had a shot when

(01:49:07):
they put these things out.

Speaker 1 (01:49:08):
Notre Dame has just been quietly.

Speaker 3 (01:49:10):
Under the radar other than the Southern Illinois Southern Alloyd
lost at home, non Illinois, excuse me, lost at home.
They've been blowing people off the field. They run the ball,
they don't commit stupid turnovers. When coach Marcus is really
building here and no one's talking about them. No, we
haven't talked about Notre Dame all year long, other than
November excuse me, September seventh when they lost. Change my mind.

(01:49:33):
This could be the team that in two weeks we
could be like, Wow, look what Nordre Dame is. They're
in the final fourth. They're going to be playing for
the national championship.

Speaker 4 (01:49:40):
No, man, we're in lockstep here. Like the way the
bracket shakes out to the fact that they would play
Indiana and they line up with the Georgia team, who
like it's looking to me like one they have trouble
with the mobile quarterback and Rody Leonard's force on the ground. Man,
l's the fact that they're probably gonna have a backup
quarterback at Georgia. So if you beat Georgia and you
got what probably Penn State, depending on how you feel

(01:50:01):
about SMU and Boise State, like that that side of
the bracket that's super uh, super manageable. The other thing
I'll say too with Marcus Freeman, the thing that I've
been so impressed with is after week two, like a public,
public failure and embarrassing loss, like any way you want
to label it is fair. That's gotta be a tough
locker room to try and steady like like obviously you

(01:50:23):
have other games in your schedule that you know you
should win, and they should have been an Army and
it should have been a Navy, and probably on paper
should be the Louisville. But like to be able to
circle the wagons after a moment like that early on
in the year where you have to believe like just
momentum and vibes are not off the charts like that,
to me, I think should speak volumes to like what
he's built internally there. I don't know if I love

(01:50:44):
them when they get into like a shootout with like
an Organ or a Texas, but like the reality is
they wouldn't have to do that until they got to
the title game, so their file all lines perfectly.

Speaker 1 (01:50:54):
I'm with you, all right, J D.

Speaker 2 (01:50:57):
You know, just we don't have the budget of a
Pat McAfee, So I know you're not getting paid millions
of dollars to come on here every week, But I
am going to give you a little bit of homework.
It's because, but it's for a good reason, all right,
It's for a good reason. Our good friend here, VJ
has put a challenge for it that he is going
to watch every single bowl game and he has said

(01:51:18):
as a result, he wants to be quizzed on the
bowl games.

Speaker 1 (01:51:23):
When he comes in on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (01:51:25):
So as we get into bowl season, I would like
it if you could have a single question yes for
VJ to see if he can answer it correctly. Like,
for example, here's a good example. The celebration ball was today, VJ.
How many times has Jackson State won it? Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:51:43):
Never? Today was their first time winning. That is absolutely correct,
So bring it so, JD. The challenge has been laid
at the floor, So go for it. You know what
I'm saying. I look forward to whatever question that you
do have.

Speaker 2 (01:51:58):
Now I do have to send you home on one
question though, Billy Belichick back to school, Bill Madison, Billy
Pattison style going to North Carolina. I've said it at
this all right, over under twenty six and a half
wins in the next three years, over under one and
a half college football playoff appearances, Give me your answers

(01:52:18):
and tell me why.

Speaker 4 (01:52:20):
Wow. Okay, Well, first I'll just say I'm excited to
get to get into that homework. I'm already pulling up
like the the ball liner, Man, that's gonna be good stuff.
That was a great question too on the Celebration Bowl.
So Martin I I have just been stow out on
this whole Bill Belichick thing within other of North Carolina.

(01:52:40):
So I'll take the under on both, and most notably
because I don't think he'll be there probably past he
makes it two years like awesome, but I don't think
he's probably wanting to even be around North Carolina for
that long. If it's if it's I'm just reading this
thing from the outside looking in, Like I think he
has something in his contract to to where his his
by drops from like ten million to one million.

Speaker 2 (01:53:02):
After like his bi in June of twenty twenty five,
is by all dropped from ten million to one million?

Speaker 1 (01:53:09):
Oh, Like, what are we doing here?

Speaker 4 (01:53:11):
Like is that you can take an NFL job if
he wanted to before, even like you know, after one year.
So I'm all that have to say. The biggest issue
I have is with the way the transfer portal exists.
It has never been more important than college football to
have you know, some uh some relatability and some relational
skills here say, and I all doesn't matter. That's obviously

(01:53:32):
a huge part of this. But like Tom Brady the
most mentally tough athlete arguably of our generation next to
Kobe Bryant, and he's been He's not come out and
said like this guy kind of sucks to play for,
Like I did not really enjoy this. So I see that,
and I'm like, hey, Jimmy Forstar, who's an eighteen year
old the first time Bill Belichick tries to tell him
about the Patriot Way and lays it into him, like,
I don't know how that's going to be received when

(01:53:54):
it comes like a culture building side of things. So
he knows football. I'm not questioning if he knows football
or be done on that for strike, but like, it's
just that there's so much more that goes into it
now in college and I just I don't trust him
on that front or at least I would need to
see it.

Speaker 1 (01:54:07):
Well, well you'll have it.

Speaker 2 (01:54:08):
Seems as if you will have at least the opportunity
for one year to see it. I'm looking forward to it,
and I know America is and JD. I got a
strange feeling we're gonna be talking about this for a
little while longer at least.

Speaker 1 (01:54:19):
J D, thanks for coming on the show. But I
fir appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (01:54:22):
I can't wait for next week after the college football
playoff games. Bring your questions, buddy, Yes, sorry, yes, sir,
I appreciate all right. Look, JD, this time tomorrow we'll
have a question for you to answer. But you know
what we do every time this week, that is this
time tomorrow, I mean this time next week. Rather coming
up next Martin Wis's VJ Husky Fox Sports Football Saturday,

(01:54:45):
Martin Wise VJ. Hussey coming to you live from the
tire rac dot Com studios. Ozzie was DJ your favorite
guy from below the border said? He tweeted us, said,
I think you're riding about golf for this five because
because the Texas may hurt him. Listen, you show me
a candidate with a perfect resume. Yeah, exactly, I'll call

(01:55:07):
you a liar. Absolutely, everybody's got a little bit of
a hole.

Speaker 1 (01:55:11):
Everybody. Everybody's got something.

Speaker 2 (01:55:12):
Man, how about Lil Wayne five time Grammy Award winner
at the Heisman getting thanked in the Heisman speech and.

Speaker 3 (01:55:19):
He's down bad right now? According to producer Patch, Yeah
from when I heard he's down bad. That Kendrick thing,
the way young people.

Speaker 5 (01:55:30):
Talk down back food canny baby.

Speaker 1 (01:55:34):
Yeah you missed on that one, bro, Just let it
go away. Yeah, ball eight.

Speaker 5 (01:55:43):
I'm walking to first base right now.

Speaker 1 (01:55:46):
No, you're going to the dugout so a waing better
he stuck out? You didn't watch the movies are from?

Speaker 5 (01:55:51):
That is from Ferris Bueler's Day Off. I have Yeah,
that's a hit right there. Boom base it baby singles.

Speaker 1 (01:55:56):
Who's playing the Cubs? What's the score?

Speaker 5 (01:55:59):
I'm not to Covey. I'm a Dodger.

Speaker 1 (01:56:01):
Oh gosh, let's do this. Yeah run here, ye run
the audio? VJ. Why don't you go ahead first?

Speaker 3 (01:56:20):
By this time next week, the Lakers will start to
demolish their team. It's either gonna be giving Lebron more
when he wants so he comes back, or it's going
to be tearing this and stay at.

Speaker 1 (01:56:30):
More Pto because apparently he's got a lot of.

Speaker 3 (01:56:32):
That exactly or does it want them? Are they gonna
start to tear the team down? Thirteen to twelve Grizzlies
and Sacramento two times this week.

Speaker 2 (01:56:39):
By this time next week, Jared Golf will be your
MVP favorite at all the sports books by get By
this time next.

Speaker 3 (01:56:49):
Week, Colts, Bengals, Zona, San Francisco will all be officially
eliminated from the twenty twenty four NFL playoffs.

Speaker 1 (01:56:57):
And you know we'll have to do that.

Speaker 2 (01:56:59):
We'll have to send them all the style yeap want
to get away, although it's gonna be heartbreaking if that
weird Wait, By this time next week, the Offensive Rookie
of the Year award again will be a Formality's like,
just like the Heisman was, we are not giving it
to a quarterback. Instead, we were giving to the guy
who has been quarterback proof all year. Rock Bowers for

(01:57:22):
the Vegas Raiders deserves to be the Offensive Rookie of
the Year.

Speaker 1 (01:57:25):
By this time next week, the odds were reflected.

Speaker 3 (01:57:27):
By this time next week, people will start to be like, wow,
VJ was ahead, because people will start to think nor
to Dame will have a legitimate shot at knocking off
Georgia in the second round of the College Football playff.

Speaker 2 (01:57:39):
By this time next week, we have potential for history
to be made. There's been one quarterback, Drew Breed twenty eleven,
that has put together a five game streak of two
hundred and fifty plus passing yards, multiple passing touchdowns in
each game, and no interceptions within the season.

Speaker 1 (01:57:56):
The other one who has a chance to do that
is to a tongue of by Low, it ain't happening.

Speaker 2 (01:58:03):
By this time next week, it'll still be Drew Brees
as the one to God do that.

Speaker 3 (01:58:07):
I'm gonna try to double up on this one. I
missed this week and I still love it. I'm gonna
try to hit it again. By this time next week,
March picked last year to make the playoffs. The Houston
Rockets will be the number one seed in the Western Conference. Pelicans.
They're down right now to the to the thunder and
the old Emerty's Cup. How we pronouncing whatever this big
thing is with the.

Speaker 1 (01:58:28):
Emirates E Murdy's the Emrdy's Cup week all right? Speaking
of the E Murdy's Cup.

Speaker 2 (01:58:41):
By this time next week, we will have the new
numbers from all of this, which will show at least
a thirty five percent decline in viewership from last year
to this year. And it's a damn shame because the
MVP runner up is playing in this one right now. Well,
coming up next, we got the best Colls football rapp
in the nation and Aaron Torres Jason Martin up next,
