Do you believe? No, no, no, no, Edwardy, do you
believe now?

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Do you believe?

Speaker 1 (00:10):

Speaker 3 (00:25):
In about fifteen minutes, this team undefeated.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
Are they frauds? But first we'll start here with our
general college football und double like we do every Saturday
at eight o'clock, because you know what, almost all the
games in the early stet have ended. Now we have
Georgia and Tennessee right here. The big, you know, the
big game of the night. Tennessee goes over the top
to score at opening drive touchdown for the volunteers. We'll

(00:49):
keep that locked in, so listen. Maybe Carson Beck throws
yet another interception, Well we will see about that. But
we saw LSU DJ Lagway came in. I was here
two weeks ago when its Hampshire looked like it was
never gonna be back.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
You know, all he does is come in two dimes
on the way the two touchdown drives to.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Go ahead and eliminate in our book LSU from college
football playoff contention. But I think the big story here
is where the big story has been a lot of
last season until around this time, honestly, but this year
it does not seem like that one in seven down
the stretches coming up for the Colorado Buffaloes and Deon
Sanders number twelve with a few Heisman moments today. Yep.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Also, Man, as always, welcome everybody in Martin VJ.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
What U about there?

Speaker 5 (01:30):
All listening fans and the Fox Sports radio listening to
land Fox Sports Saturday.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Football, Martin VJ. College Football.

Speaker 5 (01:37):
A lot to talk today, man, And yes, let's start
right there with Colorado and Coach Prime and Travis Hunter
and should Door Sanders.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
And Warren Sapp.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
And remember last week I mentioned when we're gonna start
to give Warren Sapp a little love because this d
line was atrocious last year.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
It was atrocious.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
They couldn't rush the passer, and they couldn't stop the
run they were getting through and quarterbacks had all day
to throw against this defensive line. You bring this guy
in in one year, and this defens along.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Looks all world. You can't almost run the ball against him.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
They get pressure on the quarterback and they get off
the field on third and long, and they give Shador
and Travis and all those other weapons more offensive positions,
which is exactly what you're supposed to do when you're
a defense, especially the defensive front.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
But the turnaround is real.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
Man.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Last year I missed.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
I got caught up in the Jews. I love Dion,
I love coach Prime, I love his sons, I love
the story.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I love what he's doing.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
I ripped it for leaving JSU the way he did,
and I still stand there he should have done it differently.
But I understand the upward moving life. And now you
look at this team. You look what they have going on. Man,
it's legit. They were my number eleven team to get
to the College Football PLAYU when we listed our twelfth
SMUB at twelve, I had Colorado at eleven. Their destiny
is in their own hands, mar and this team looks

(02:54):
they look legit.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
And then after the game.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
What'd you hear from Shador and Travis? We gotta play
much better we did.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
We didn't.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
We didn't play a good at lot them as they
they start naming.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
When you get college players to air to life, that
first you know they're here, man, they're locked in, They're
they're they're they're they understand where they're at now. They
understand the task at hand and what's being handed to
you and what you got going on around you, and the.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Opportunity they both leaving, so you're not coming back.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
This is it? This is it?

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Are they gonna go win it all?

Speaker 6 (03:23):
Mark?

Speaker 5 (03:24):
Probably not. But when you love to see this team
in a college football playoff go deep with these names
and these guys, both of them could be in New
York for the heis and right they can have two
guys there, Martin like this is great stuff. Man, shout
out to them. Coach Prime, I wanted it. I called
it earlier this year. I just need them to keep
winning and they do. They beat up on Utah today.
You ta had a little stretch down in the third quarter,
but they really beat up on a physical Utah football team.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Sorry, I just saw on TV there's a massive fire
at an auto zone in Hollywood that I frequent quite often.
Would you do be when I say a lot. I mean,
you know the story of my car, and I work
on my car all the time.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
He right here, right here, Come get him? Am I right?

Speaker 4 (04:02):
I have the best ally I ever. I've been on
national radio for the last six hours, but doing updates,
but serious.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Recording, like when I tell you I'm there quite frequently.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
That thing is going up. They made somebody mad speaking
of fire though, that is what Colorado was doing to
the college football playoff landscape. But honestly, I think that
you have one lock for New York, and if possible,
Travis is going to New York. And not only is
Travis going to New York, Travis needs Look, he's going

(04:33):
your door is there and not. I don't want to
say it's immaterial, because that does matter, but it's not.
If Travis Hunter doesn't win the Heisman, I am going
to lose my ever loving mom.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
So y'all can't ward okayt no, No, I'm just I'm
just asking I need because this is the part now
I'm holding people to the al right, because I'm with
I'm with Travis.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
I wasn't with Cam Wharton in front.

Speaker 5 (04:51):
Okay, all right, I just thought you had a shot.
You may get a lot of public of you.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Said too many interceptions that are just like, okay, what
what are you doing? No, Shador Sanders right there, the
most important player on Colorado, no doubt about it. But
let's get back to what the Heisman is because this
is not the most important quarterback the most it's the
best best player in college football player. Travis Hunter had

(05:16):
his third interception today. Travis Hunter had fifty five yards
receiving on five catches today, and not to mention, Travis
Hunter had a freaking rushing touchdown.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Okay, he is the Heisman Trophy winner.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
I understand that we're going to try to do all
these different types of conversation.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
What about Ashton Genty?

Speaker 4 (05:34):
Shut up when Ashton J he has four or five interceptions,
call me, call me to play defense?

Speaker 3 (05:41):
So he can't do that?

Speaker 4 (05:42):
Well, you know what he can't do either when the
high All right, call me when that happened like that?

Speaker 2 (05:48):
What did I do? Because I need everybody.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
I understand, I'm Steve Hartman with this Heisman update. As
he goes everywhere he at Aston.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
J loves telling people he's got a Heisman vote.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
He had Aston Gents number one, And I'm just like
we gotta get back to when football meant something in
this country. He's not just the best quarterback. It's not
just the quarterback on the best team. Travis Hunter is
by far the best player in college football. He's the
second best white Like he's a top five our receiver
and the top three quarterback and and and stop.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
It's two questions, two questions. First, number one overall pick
depends on who has it. Okay, Second, I dare to like,
let me say.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Like not the cop out depends on who has it,
because if.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
If you if you are Giants, who else is really
bad Jaguarars?

Speaker 4 (06:36):
So if you're a team like Jacksonville, sure, because you
already absolutely already signed your quarterback, absolutely already.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Signed your better signed your quarterback.

Speaker 7 (06:46):
Both.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
I don't think that he's such a guy that if
you are, let's say, picking with the fifteenth pick, you've
got to trade up to number one to get Travis Hull.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
I don't think that's.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
That's why I say it depends on who has it.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
If you're sitting this six or seven though, and number
one shopping the pick, I can see Travis Hunter fitting
team like that because that name that means it could
possibly be Denver or Cincinnati. I'm just thinking about the
records in the Rams. Teams that are four and five
are five and four right now, our teams that are
three and seven are gonna end up in like the

(07:20):
top twelve. Right So if you're Cincinnati at six, say
the same things fall apart and they end up with
the seventh pick. I mean, wow, why not Higgins out
teens out the door? Right, he's done, He's not coming
back next year. He would be somebody to come in that.
I can see them trading up four. And that's listen,
this is all futuristic crystal ball stuff. Second question, and

(07:41):
I can't believe I'm asking this, but watching today, I
have to. I have to start the conversation because I
don't think nobody else has Can he be better than
Charles Woodson? Was Charles Woodson's junior year? Could he finish
a better play? Can he finish with a better season
and a better impact? Now he would have to go
win the national championship. But that Michigan team was Brian Greese, like,

(08:04):
they had seniors all around, you know, they had they
had hutch Dad was on that team. Could he be
could he be having a better year. Could he end
up having a better year than what Charles Woodson had
in ninety seven? I mean sure, Okay, I mean, well,
you know I feel about Seawood though, but but I
have to act.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
Right, We're sitting here a week but two weeks before
Thanksgiving talking about Travis Honlan. Yeah, think about it. We
are only midway through this season. They've only played dying games.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
There's only been ten.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
Weeks of football, man, and he still has We still
have championship game, Conference championship games.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Play down today.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
Probably I think he because by the fourth I know,
the middle of the fourth quarter, he had played every
down like he did not come off the field. Kudos
to ever trained him or his offseason workout and diet,
because that's all that is. Boys and girls, lazies, little
young kids out there want to play, You want to
play a lot and be effective. Offseason workout guys, off
season die that's when you do it. Wow, Okay, I

(09:00):
just think the question has to start with about the Charlesworths.
So today, Oh I'm about this.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
Looking at this five minutes thirty six seconds left in
the first half San Jo State Leeds Boys.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
He stayed fourteen to seven.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
Well, just turning hand the ball to that guy Boysey State, right,
give it, damn. I mean he's got eleven carries thirty
one yards already.

Speaker 5 (09:22):
Broke on because at one point he has seven for thirteen,
So I mean he's he's warming enough.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
You're eight in a box is not gonna work.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
No, it is not.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
You ain't a box is not gonna work. He's five
ten to two thirty guys.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
So Texas number three, teen in the nation. Seemingly to me,
I was watching this game here as we are as
I'm doing the updates, so I'm keeping not only an
eye on all the games, but I'm also got like
four or five screens in front of me.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Texas did not look good today at all.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
They did not seem to get they never really got started,
and I saw the interesting kind of conspiracy theory is
floating around. Apparently the grass at Arkansas was significantly longer, oh,
of course then the grass in most other places. Right,
they were saying that had an opportunity to slow LSU down,
to slow Texas down.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Yeah, and that I thought it was fascinating. It is.
It is a play, okay, So I'll take you back.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
You guys.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Remember, I don't know even if you're old enough, but
I know you've heard about.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Your USC guy, the Bush push.

Speaker 5 (10:13):
On Matt Lioner at Norder Day with Brady Quinn and
those guys trying to go win the national championship that year.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
Okay, I've heard of it, of course.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (10:21):
Reggie Bush scored three touchdowns that day, and their whole
thing was that day they let the grass grow and
they just trimmed it because they were trying to slow
down Reggie Bush. Now, folks, story lore has it that
word got to USC that they were doing that, and
Reggie took that personally.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Reggie, if you go back to Warzona highlights, he.

Speaker 5 (10:39):
Went off on Norder Dame's top right defense that day,
scoring three touchdowns and the Bush push. So, yes, I've heard.
This is nothing new. This is Oh we used to
do it in high school. There are teams that would
play us if we had a fast bat, we'd get
to their field for the game and coach would be like, yeah,
they'll let the grass grow a little this week. It
is to try to slow down fast guys. So that's
nothing new. That's why there's a regulation where your grass
has to be cut. Uh in the NFL, like everybody's

(11:02):
grass has to be the same in National Football League
even now on these real grass fields's got to be
the dealing through the turf in terms, got to be
the limit of the field. Yeah, now it's the landscaping
hour Martin and Vija.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
Yeah, I thought it was interesting. Arkansas gave them a fight.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
But still this is the type of game again, middle
of November. It's not quite surviving advance and college football
elbow has become more and more and that increasingly now
that you have multiple loss teams that will probably be
competing for a championship when this is all said and done.
But this type of game, you win it. You look back,
you see, okay, what do we do wrong? And move
improve and go on to next week. Who will not

(11:37):
be doing that same thing.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
That's the LSU Tigers. Yeah not at all. Man, They're
they're done. But I thought they were done last week.
The way the way Bama beat them like a drum
last week to me was enough to say, all right,
this isn't one of the best twelve teams in college football.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
And and look, Brian Kelly, I've never been a fan.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
He's a good coach.

Speaker 5 (11:56):
He's not a great coach though, and he's never been
a great coach.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
He's a good coach. When you to Notre Dame.

Speaker 5 (12:00):
Toddy Willahan was a good coach, Charlie Weiss was a
good coach.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
You're Notre Dame, you're gonna get talent. You still gotta recruit.

Speaker 5 (12:06):
But they're guys that are growing up right now with
Norre Dame bed sheets and curtains, and they're gonna go
play football at Nordre Dame regardless of who the coach
is there. That's the way college football works in a
lot of those traditional big time schools. But LSU, I
don't think they have the right coach. They got a
coach that will keep them. Now, what you know, eight
nine wins if that's what you want to do at LSU,
maybe ten. But you had a Heisman Trophy winn last year.

(12:27):
Me because they lose last year like three or four
those four games last year. So this is and he
had the Hosman Trophy winner on his team at quarterback.
Who's now got his NFL team at seven and three
or seven and four after Thursday Nights loss.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
But I mean, he's okay.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
But LSU. I thought they were done last week.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
I thought Bam would put a drum, put the nail
in the caffe lhues last week.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
Well it is now official. It's time LSU. You are
now safe to book your weekend. They say you are
now safe to book your winter vacation. You will not
be participating in the this this is dope.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
We're gonna do this every week now, every week it happen.
You know what this see, this is, this is what happens.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
Man three years, three years, guy stays weave man at time.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
It's been rough, it's started rough.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Bro, this is beautiful.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
Go ahead, get your reflected out.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
I'm go ahead.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Pour it up. Garrett Nfsmier, My ties on the beach
for you, my friend.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
Hey, Elijah, cut this because Elijah over for the l Tigers.
When it comes to playing meaningful football games after winter break?

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Who used to do the who used to do this
as a celebration of the score. Is it Steve Smith?

Speaker 4 (13:39):
They used to do the Hulu celebration? Was I think
it was Steve Smith?

Speaker 2 (13:43):
They used to do it. I'm looking Mary, get him Mary?
That one is that the octopus?

Speaker 8 (13:47):
I don't even know? Mind you, this song is actually
from SpongeBob.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
By the way, Well wow, I've never watched one episode
of SpongeBob in my life, so I called.

Speaker 9 (13:57):
Well, welcome to squid Words. Pers that's where you'll be crazy.
You are not playing MENI foot football games for the
winter break.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Harold Perkins has been injured all year, so he's been,
he's been. He's booked his vacation a while ago.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
I think just in case he was thinking about coming back.
We recapping the sand Yeah Cabo style.

Speaker 5 (14:21):
Yeah, baby, you're done, Brian, go ahead to take vacation. Baby,
you will not be in the college football playoffs.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Coming up next.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
Is this undefeated team actually title contenders.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
We'll get that in just the second.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Martin Wise Vita Husky, Fox Sports Football Saturday.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
Martin me there, coming to you live from the Tireck
dot com studios. If you want to join the conversation,
feel free to hit us up on Twitter.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
I'm still there.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
I didn't make this big announcement that I'm.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
Leaving you see that, Gabrielle Union, What the hell like
a statement? It's like a like what did you retire from?
By the way, It's like it's like the same energy
as people are saying, I'm gonna block you now, oh yeah,
all right, see you later or not?

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Yeah bye. I do block.

Speaker 5 (15:22):
I block bad energy, though I don't need your I
don't need bad energy. I'm an energy guy, but I
don't block on like disagreements and stuff like that. But
if your energy is bad, once you start calling me
out of my name and you start saying wild are bro,
I don't need your energy. Go take that somewhere else.
I'm not even gonna respond to you no more. You
don't get access to me anymore.

Speaker 4 (15:38):
Legitimately, I have never I've never blocked the number. I've
never blocked a message. I've never blocked anything from anywhere.

Speaker 8 (15:46):
I used to be one of those people and then
I start blocking, and now I can't stop.

Speaker 5 (15:50):
No, I will block you on the number. I don't
need your energy, That's the thing. I don't need your energy.
Because if somebody calls your phone, Martin that you don't
want to talk to and maybe you're not like this,
but I am when you see that name pop up,
it goes in your whatever you wanted to block them
for you're not talking for, it pops back into your aura.
And I don't need that, bro. So if we if
it's meant first to talk, we'll talk.

Speaker 8 (16:08):
But I just feel like, if I pay for my
phone bill, which I don't, but you're not gonna play.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
If somebody pays for this, it's my phone though, you know, like,
don't don't do that.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
Yeah, somehow verbally I'm able to express that and it
all works. I never have to. I've never had to
block anybody.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
I'll tell you. Call me again to find out what happened.

Speaker 8 (16:27):
I'm like, look, you either get cussed out, you get blocked.
I'd rather you just get blocked, and that's it. I
don't want to you know, I'm free.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
As we know, Mary Mack. One of the real est
outs are the fourteen and oh Cleveland Cavaliers. Also one
of the real estout nice job there because they're undefeated
and news they only play eighty two games in the
regular season, they've already won eight.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Percent of them.

Speaker 5 (16:48):
Yeah, I'm gonna say yes. I'm gonna say yes. I
had a chance to watch them three times so far,
and like, we'll go back on my DVR and really says, hey,
let me watch this cat. And I took a game
from earlier in the year, and then a little bit
maybe two weeks after that, and then a recent game,
so it wasn't like the last three games, and they
kind of been on the roll. They are a very
very good basketball team. They defend well, they rebound well.

(17:09):
Listen Donovan Mitchell. When people remember people were kind of
writing this guy off and we were kind of questioning,
is he the guy level?

Speaker 2 (17:17):
What level star are you? Are you? Yeah? What is
he the guy? Right?

Speaker 5 (17:21):
And it's starting to show And this is what I
love about the NBA right now, why I'm back in
and you guys that's been listening to me on Fox
Sports Radio for the last nine years.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
There were years I did not watch the NBA. I
did not like the product.

Speaker 5 (17:32):
The product is reverting in getting better because I think
some of the residual storylines with personal narrators of fade
in a way which I love to see and we're
able to just talk basketball and what's happening on the court.
So you can't ignore fourteen to zero. You can't ignore
Giannie's average in thirty three a d's average. AD was

(17:52):
leading the league in scoring until my Pistons decided to
give up. But again fifty seven or fifty one, fifty nine,
say yeah, my pistons gave up fifty nine scored the
first twenty something points. But the basketball is starting to
come back. So you gotta revert back to the teams
and who's doing what.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
You can't.

Speaker 5 (18:11):
You can't balk at fourteen to no. Man, they're winning
these games. New head coach, too young players. Well, as
I mentioned that they rebound Martin, they play defense.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
And you got a guy you can get a ball
to him, say hey, can you go get me thirty
five tonight? The answers are resounding, yeah, I can, right,
and he can defend on the other end. Two, I
saw a video I don't know where what Draymond was doing.
Maybe it was this podcast, maybe I don't know who
knows somewhere doing no but he was talking about the
Cavaliers on offense, and he was talking about how literally

(18:40):
as he was defending, he said his neck got tired
from turning his head so much. They're removing the ball
so much.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
He was like, He's like I never He's like, man,
what's wrong on my name?

Speaker 4 (18:49):
He's like he never had experienced that level of fatigue
just guarding somebody. And I know, obviously it's early in
the season. We'll see how this goes, injury, so on
and so forth. But it does seem at least that JB.
Bickerstaff had a little bit of trouble building that roster
and are playing that roster in such a way. Darius
Garland seemed to be a carbon copy of Donovan Mitchell.

(19:11):
Jared Allen was a carver copy of Evan Mobile. Like
those two guys, their best five players did not seem
to fit together. Kenny Atkinson seemed, through the first fifteen
games of the season, has seemingly found a way to
get those guys all to work in harmony. Absolutely.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
Number one in defense, I'm excuse me, number one in offense,
Number eleven in defense. They're legit guys, and like Martin
just said, when you move the basketball, good things happened
when you move the ball. Keep the ball moving. Remember
when Steve Kurt took over the Golden State Warriors and
the whole knock was, well, you know he's winning with
Mark Jackson's team, Okay, that's a fair narrative, only so

(19:48):
long until you really dive into the nuts and boats
of the game and the team's comatically and the number.
I'm just trying to grab it off the top of
my head. But it was something like his first year there,
they added like over five hundred assists, which means what markin,
they're moving the ball more. You got these two great shooters, Uh,
but they're moving the ball.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
Man.

Speaker 5 (20:08):
It was anywhere between. I think it was maybe like
three fifty to five hundred. I'm the numbers just in
my head. I remember being around that area. Somebody can
look it up for me. If they can't, please thank you.
Just why I can be accurate? But they did. They
from that year Mark Jacksons last year to his first year,
they moved the ball a whole lot more. And then
guess what, guys, Bam, there goes the Golden State Warriors

(20:30):
franchise and dynasty. They go to the finals that year
just by moving the ball more. That's coaching, ladies and
gentlemen we're seeing in the NFL with Jim Harball. Run
the ball, don't turn the ball over, be physical, into trenches,
basic stuff. You will be better you will automatically be
better if you do the basic things. You can have

(20:51):
Lebron and Ad You're still eight and four, four game
winning streak. After losing one out of five, you're still
one out of four. You're still the same team. Yeah,
the Jimmy is in Joe would get you some dubs.
But schematics, man, basics, fundamentals, and that's that's what they're
doing right now. So for Draymond Green.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
To say that playing with the Warriors, that that's that's
a tip of cap.

Speaker 5 (21:12):
That's the tip to the cap right there. But you
have the number up on now. I saw you type
it away, did you grab it?

Speaker 4 (21:17):
Oh? Okay, our thanks to Rapid Radios that you are
official communication communication.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
I did it again.

Radios dot com for sixty percent off and free shipping.
Let's kick it over now to Steve de Seger for
everything trend to get Steve, it looked.

Speaker 10 (21:42):
Like Dabo Sweeney was using a rapid radio on the
sideline today. He actually took the headphones off in the
Clemson game. That just had the handhaild going.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
That was hey, that that finish was electric Steve.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
By the way, and I.

Speaker 10 (21:54):
Did notice the Sean McDonough comment, So wait a minute,
they're gonna get the call on roughing the court back
because the refts look that the scoreboard video replay. Yeah,
I guess that's how it goes here. All right, let's
look at college football.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
What's going on right now?

Speaker 10 (22:10):
Number one Oregon is leading six nothing at Wisconsin early
in the second quarter for the Oregon Ducks, still in
Gabriel with an early interception, he is twelve to fifteen,
passing one hundred and twenty six yards. Seventh Thranke Tennessee
is now up ten nothing at twelve thranc Georgia in
the final seconds of the first quarter. Texas A and
m A seventeen nothing leader over New Mexico State late

(22:32):
in the first late second quarter, Arizona State leads at
number sixteen Kansas State twenty one to nothing. K State
on the ground fifteen carries just twenty eight yards and
about thirty seconds to go in the first half at
San Jose State thirteenth thrang Boise State has come back
to tie at fourteen fourteen and Ashton, Gentia Boise seventeen

(22:52):
carries fifty seven yards and a touchdown in the first half.
Wins in the top ten for Ohio State and Texas
for Penn State and Notre Dame Alabama as well. Colorado
beat Utah forty nine twenty four. Stanford kicked a fifty
two yard field goal on the final play to defeat
nineteenth rank Louisville thirty eight to thirty five. Twenty th

(23:12):
rank Clemson wound up winning its game at pitt twenty
four to twenty on a fifty yard touchdown run with
just over one minute left. South Carolina defeated Missouri thirty
four to thirty at Florida Gators over LSU twenty seven.
Sixteen and twenty fifth ranked Tulane won thirty five nothing
at Navy. Tulane as into its conference title game this
year in the American By the way, the final playoff

(23:34):
bracket will be announced in less than a month December
the eighth. Another win for fourteenth ranked SMU today beating
Boston College thirty eight to twenty eight. SMU is still
undefeated in its first year in the ACC six and
zero conference games there. I have read that is the
best ever for a team in its first year moving
up to a power conference by far. Houston Texans wide

(23:56):
receiver Nico Collins will play Monday night at Dallas. He's
off the injury report. The forty nine Ers plays punter
Mitch Weisnowski on injured reserve. In the NBA, Charlotte handed
Milwaukee another loss today one fifteen, one fourteen. Despite a
triple double from Jannisan Tenacumpo. Milwaukee is four and nine
this year. Late first quarter, the New Orleans Pelicans have

(24:18):
a lead on the Lakers of twenty six to nineteen.
And in college hoops, it was number six Duke at
home beating Wafford eighty six thirty five. Duke led late
in the first half forty three to nine.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
Back to you, thanks Steve Martin and J.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
Coming to you live from the tire IRAQ dot Com Studios.
VJ was you know, we got all types of stuff
going on, Like like Steve just said, it was all
college football actually going on. Carson Beck tried his best
on another interception. It's one of the things that we're
looking for at this point in time, as he currently
leads college football in that category. But let's take our

(24:55):
let's take our talents to the NFL for a moment. Vija,
you want to outline your top five teams in the
league in terms of Week eleven.

Speaker 5 (25:03):
Yeah, because I think at this point this is where
you can really find out. I think we know who's
good and who's not right, Like, we can all see
the league kind of forming up, and I thought it'd
be cool to put it together our Power five, you know,
top Power five teams.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
So at number five, I have a tie.

Speaker 5 (25:21):
I know that's a cop out, but both these teams
play tomorrow, so I'm gonna be able to either be
right or wrong about who the fifth one is. If five,
I have a tie between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the
Baltimore Ravens. What both these teams have done has been
amazing this year. Two acquisitions this year guys that were
just amazing, and one was shown Thursday night, Saquon Barkley

(25:41):
to the Philadelphia Eagles and Dereck Henry to the Baltimore Ravens.
And both these teams getting up in the Super Bowl
because of their because of their those moves right there.
The only reserve I have about the Ravens their defense.
We're so used to them being great in defense. This
defense is really bad right now. They need to fix
that up. Pittsburgh, what can you say every year, Martin,

(26:02):
when we think it's just gonna be that year that
they're not the Steelers, guess what they end up being
ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the same old Pittsburgh Steelers.
So that's why I got in the moment.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
I thought that was the dumbest discourse of the summer,
when the whole conversation with Pittsburgh last year was they
don't have a quarterback. I'm not saying that Russell Wilson
or Justin Fields was worlds beaters better than what they have,
dum better than what they have anyway.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
And it's showing.

Speaker 4 (26:27):
But Tomlin still coached that team last year to a
nine and eight record.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
I believe attend it's like they were still over five hundred.

Speaker 4 (26:34):
So what do you think they're gonna do when they
got a quarterback?

Speaker 5 (26:36):
I got them tied right there at number four the
Buffalo Bills, and they have a big one tomorrow against
another top five team.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
See what I did there, Ladies and john Boys and
girls coming up tomorrow too.

Speaker 5 (26:45):
But I can't front on what Josh Allen, Josh Apple
Turnover Allen has done this year.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
He has taken care of the ball a little more.

Speaker 5 (26:50):
But in the past few weeks, those Apple turnovers are
real hot and they spicy. They got the brown sugar
and the little crystallized sugar on them. They get them
while they ht guys because you know they're coming.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
But they have played well.

Speaker 5 (27:01):
They've been able to run the ball, which they haven't
been able to do over the last three or four season.
And Josh Allen is kind of making chicken soup out.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
Of you know, chicken. You know what with these receivers
they get in.

Speaker 5 (27:10):
They bring in Amari Cooper, he was already banged up
in on the injury report, SOCII that goes. But as
of right now, they are where they are. The record
says what you are right now, sitting at eight and too.
So I'm gona give him their props right now. I
got them at number three, number four, number five Philadelphia Eagles.
I saw all I needed to see Thursday night, man,
that team is power folk, say Kwan Barkley, Sir, I
owe you a huge apology. I said you were going

(27:33):
to be a bus coming out of Penn State. I
said you were nothing but another Kojohonna Carter. When when
you got hurt excuse me with the Giants, I said,
up here it goes. I trashed you. I talked so
much crap about Sai Kwan Barkley. But I'm forty. I'm
a man. I can stand up and admit when I'm wrong.
I was so wrong. You are the real deal, young man,
especially jumping backwards over people. You need Joe asking for that.

(27:55):
Don't be embarrassing people out there. They're women and children watching.
But Jalen hurts this off, this defense. I'm not still
sold on, Sirian. I'm kind of leaning the Martins side there,
but you know the guys coaching them.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
And here we are.

Speaker 5 (28:06):
We're sitting with the Philadelphia Eagles sitting at eight and
two right now, in charge of that division by a
game and a half.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
At number two.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
The Detroit Lions, Man, what can you say more about
this team? The way they came back against the Texans,
just weapons everywhere. They have the perfect coach. There was
a play where they threw a screen to the running
back and pen.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
They sewell, it's twenty yards downfield at full gallop, taking
out one guy, take it out a second guy, and
he's looking for.

Speaker 5 (28:35):
A third to sit home today, Mama crying. Okay, this
team is legit. I think they could be the Super
Bowl contenders right now and my favorite to win it,
except for the team that's number one. Beginning of the year.
I told you all, I'm not doing it this year. Guys,
I'm not doing it. I'm not doing it. I'm not
doing it. They're the New England Patriots of this era
in my opinion, and so somebody could beat them in

(28:55):
the postseason. And a consistent basis and a consistent way
can you sit the Chiefs man?

Speaker 3 (29:00):
They just find ways. Martin was almost right.

Speaker 5 (29:03):
I was gonna get this man a bottle of Martin
Ellie's Apple side of Smartness champagne, because that was a
good call he almost got last week. Except for you
don't block. I don't want to even talk about it.
You don't block. You don't block on the field.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
Go dog.

Speaker 5 (29:17):
They had the Chiefs beat and arrow had they beat
them up and down the field.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
This Denver team, I might have estimated them. I'm still
want the.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
Office, but that defense is legit. But the Kenzay Chiefs
are undefeated. They the defending two tomes super Bowl champions
right now. So until someone says different, and they're sitting
at nine to zero, so how can somebody be better
than them? They have them at number one. So Chiefs, Lions, Eagles,
Buffs and a cop out tie of the Ravens. That
still as a five.

Speaker 4 (29:42):
I'll say this though, I'll say this as much as
I would love to say, Man, the Broncos had them
beat Dude, who they play? You had it. This is
the difference between you had it man, good teams yep
and championship teams YEP. That's the difference right there, because
for fifty nine minutes and fifty eight seconds, Denver was

(30:03):
winning that game. You know how you know Denver was
winning that game because I had it. I had it
on on on the second screen.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
You watch that game, that was your big upset. I
had it on second screen.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
They never went to red zone. You know why, because
nobody ever.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
Got to the red zone. That's how you beat Kansas City.

Speaker 4 (30:18):
Don't allow them to get keep them out of the
red zone, keep them out of squad.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
You can't give them anything easy.

Speaker 4 (30:23):
But the thing is, though, I gotta give I'll give
literally all credit to Kansas City in that matchup, in
that moment, because here's the thing. When you shad four
guys at one week linking the protection, that ain't fuck.
That's coaching.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
That's coaching.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
That ain't Look, that's the film they've seen.

Speaker 5 (30:38):
They've seen it on film, and they said, okay, we're
gonna send excuse me, You're exactly right. That is one
hundred percent coaching. It's something they saw on film. And
I tell you this, if it's coaching on that side,
then I gotta look at Peyton and this special team
coach on the other side and said, how did you
not shore that up? It's been a problem, and you
guys just think you're gonna keep getting away with it.
You keep flying close to the sun, all right, you'll

(30:59):
ask melt sooner or later.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
And they did.

Speaker 5 (31:01):
I'm a firm believer of this in football, and I'm
an shut up about that game. You can beat a
team and lose, and you can you can beat a
team and lose the game, and you can lose to
a team and beat them. They beat Kansas City last week.
They just didn't win the game. There is a difference, guys.
They beat him, they just didn't win the game. We've
seen boxing matches in our lifetime where boxer literally gets

(31:23):
his ass pummel for eight rounds and he lands a
shot in the tenth round and knocks a guy out.
I've seen it a hundred times. You got beat, but
you won the fight. They got Kansas City got beat,
but they won the game.

Speaker 4 (31:35):
That's just about what was hoping was gonna happen last night.
We'll talk about that. In about twenty minutes. Everybody was
as they saw Tyson, You're.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
Still up eight seven rounds in hit him?

Speaker 4 (31:44):
Man, That's what That's what the sounds from my sister
and girlfriend last night.

Speaker 3 (31:51):
I'm actually glad you watched. I'm glad you did. I'm
glad you watched the whole thing.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
I watched four hours and forty five Minnesota, I watched.
I watched every.

Speaker 5 (32:00):
Start to finish takes over. The Lions are the best
team in the NFL. Sorry, and I'm not mad at that.
I'm not mad at that, guys, But there is a
not there is a nine to oh team, who's the
two time defending Super Bowl champions that you just said
it yourself, the difference between great and championships. The Lions
are a contending great team, They're not a championship team

(32:21):
yet because they don't have a championship. The thing the team.
Here's the thing that the Lions can do that no
other team in the NFL, including Kansas City can do.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
They can have absolute stinkers, terrible games out of the
quarterback position and still win. The Lions won a game
in which Jared Goff had less than hunred yards passion.
The Lions won a game which Jared Goff had five
interceptions this year.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
Oh wow, true, yeah he did. Like they don't have
to have the quarterback he threw five.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
Interceptions, yeah, in the second half, and they still win
the game. So that's why I say the Lions were
the best team in the NFL because we look at
Kansas City as the best team in the NFL. Sure
I'm not I'm not saying they're right there second best.
But you look at Mahomes's numbers as bad as his
regular as bad as overall numbers are, look at them
on third and fourth down look at him in the

(33:12):
red zone.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
He's like he's magic.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
I hate to say that's reductive, but when it matters, Mahomes'
plays at his best. But like when it matters, he
steps up. Jared Goff has not had to do that
in this time. That's why that, my friend, in my opinion,
is the best team in football. But we will move
on from that to a team that everybody just about
was high on except for the man to my left.
He said, I don't know about this. They might pump

(33:36):
the brakes. What are we talking about right now? So
let's go ahead fast forward that conversation eleven weeks too.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
What are we talking about this week? Because this has.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
Been an abject NFL disaster, a tragedy of sorts. Martin
and VJA will figure out next.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (33:57):
Martin VJ coming to you live from the tire IRAQ
dot com studios. You can get us on Twitter if
you'd like. I'm at Martin Wise, Vja's at Big Vanilla.

Speaker 2 (34:04):
Funny.

Speaker 4 (34:06):
We're still there in part because of this radio show.
But if I did leave, I did not need to
make an announcement. But I am announcing we'll get to
your tweets throughout the show, VJA, do you have any
readily available by chances?

Speaker 5 (34:17):
Hammer and Hank has always jumped in here right away,
but nothing, uh, nothing like Oh never mind you. As
I'm scrolling, I'm seeing more hammer Hany, Hammery hayk Evanella
funny at mariin wehs Foxports Radio. Do you guys stee
Travis Hunter will win the Heisman Trophy this year, in
which NFL team will land in the more pick it
at twenty twenty five draft. By the way, I'm celebrating
my fifty seventh birthday even at.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
Hammering hag from Martin and DJ.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
And everybody at Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (34:42):
Happy fifty seventh birthday, my friend, Tekila it up fifty seven.

Speaker 4 (34:48):
Huh fifty seven fifty seven Hammering Hank. Don't ever let
anybody tell you you can't go fight. That's seven year old.
There you go, Hey, Gratulation's happy birthday, my friend. Then
are you gradulation to Joey Lagan? I know who won
the NASCAR Championship last week?

Speaker 10 (35:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (35:03):
You're into that?

Speaker 5 (35:03):
Yeah? No, Joey Logano man, great driver. I think this
is second or third one that he's won. Uh, third
since two thousand and eight. Yeah, it third Ones and
from a town in Connecticut. I believe that I used
to live near Joey Logano. So congratulations to him. Man,
he's got a little feistiness in him too. He's one
of those young, feisty little NASCAR drivers. He'll get your face.

(35:24):
You better watch that boy right there, he're getting your fis.
So congratulations with him. But Hammer and Hank, Yes, I
think the hesins his the loose number one pick next
year could be the Giants.

Speaker 4 (35:33):
They're really bad.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
I know.

Speaker 5 (35:34):
I have a report I saw this week. Somebody thinks
that Daniel Jones has played his last down.

Speaker 4 (35:39):
Yeah that was Adam Chefkin. I mean as a he
was more reading the contract his here's the deal, Yeah, yeah,
I get it. They are. They have two wins through
eleven weeks.

Speaker 3 (35:50):
Yeah, and they can get out after this year.

Speaker 4 (35:51):
Well if they if he suffers a season ending injury,
they'll be on the hook for twenty five guaranteed million dollars.

Speaker 5 (35:58):
That don't mean not a meanmore, bro, They got it,
twenty five guaranteed more than they would have to pay
if he didn't get hurt.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
But speaking of guys getting hurt.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
KYLEB.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
Williams is the most sacked quarterback in the NFL. Matt
Eberflus seems as if a he's a pretty bad head coach.
He's all so bad at picking who to hire as coordinators.
Seeing as I'm ninety eight percent got this right. Two
offensive coordinators have been fired so far this year. The

(36:28):
first was Luke Getsey, the second Shane Waldron. Luke Getsy's
job last year with Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Shane Walder's
job this year with Chicago Bears offensive coordinator. Matt Eberflus
hired both. So the question, and this has been a theme,
are the Bears ruining Caleb Williams?

Speaker 3 (36:49):
Is the NFL have a quarterback development problem?

Speaker 1 (36:51):
VJ?

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Yeah, I heard I heard that a few weeks ago.
But no, just a few quick things. I know we
have a lot of time. I'll go fast on this.

Speaker 5 (36:58):
Just my headline with this is Kayler Wims a broken
QB and we could blame the Bears all we won.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Okay, fine, this.

Speaker 5 (37:05):
Is almost the same team they had last year. And
if you would have traded the number one.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
Pick as I suggested, it got more stuff to add
to that team. With Justin Phils. This is essentially the
exact same team. The offense last year. This year is
thirtieth in the league. Last year it was twentieth, and
that was with Justin Phils missing game. Entyson. Beijing is now.
He said, Beijing had to play some games for them.

Speaker 5 (37:29):
They were actually better in so many categories last year.
This year so far, Kayler Wims is a sixty six
point one per non touchdowns five interceptions.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Last year, Justin Fils.

Speaker 4 (37:39):
Sixty one percent six point nine per sixteen touchdowns, nine
interceptions in just thirteen games.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
So we gave Caleb.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
Williams, what four more games?

Speaker 2 (37:48):
Check the numbers.

Speaker 5 (37:49):
It's gonna be almost about just as even as it
was last year. DJ Moore last year thirteen hundred and
sixty four yards eight touchdowns in seventeen full games. He's
on pace guys for about yards and you added Swift
that duns exactly.

Speaker 4 (38:06):
He's he's on pace for about fire. He's saying in
like two forty eight right now. So you can't blame
the front office on that. That's something happening on the field.

Speaker 5 (38:16):
I said so long about this kid, and I'm not
saying his career is over and I'm not calling him
a bus I'm not close to that. But to think
that he was just gonna come in and just flip
a switch, go look at their wins, Guys, I don't
like to do the whole beat who you beat, or
they beat this team and beat the team. But the
proof is in the putting when you go look at
the opposite of records of who you've beaten. And then
when you play a team with a positive record, a

(38:37):
good team, a great team, a championship contended team, or
championship team, the numbers don't bear out. This offense can't
move the football. And he is supposed to be generational.
When you're generational, I'm all for a guy needing the
second team. I'm all for a guy needing a little
more time. I'm all for somebody needing maybe a different voice.
But when you tell me so mu's generational, I need

(38:58):
to see a fact. You and I sat here said
about Victor wimbin Yama. We said, okay, because you're telling us,
you're you're the experts.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
You're telling us what we need to how to view this.
They're the same team. I brought a bunch of stuff,
but you know, like you said they're the same team.
But this is the reality we were talking about this early.
Does the NFL have a quarterback development problem? No? No,
What the NFL has is a hiring and firing problem. True,
that's what the NFL a hiring and firing problem. Because

(39:25):
here's the deal walking into this. If you do not
have the infrastructure in place to make your quarterback successful,
guess what you need to do. Fire and hire somebody else.
And if you fire hire somebody else, you better be
the right damn person. Do you know what Cliff Jayden
Daniels said, more success than any rookie quarterback this year.
You know why because he's great. But also Cliff Kingsbury

(39:47):
sat down with him and said, what were you great
at in college? What was your favorite things? We're gonna run.
That's what we're gonna build our offense around. Shane Walters
didn't even design the first fifteen plays. Guys, some of
this is not hard. It's not hard at all. When
you look get the like, just develop the guys, get
the right people in and make the right decisions. Strong ownership,
strong coach, strong quarterback coach. Coming up next, the fight

(40:09):
hard round the world.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (40:15):

on your Saturday evening, Martin and Vida, That's how sports
talk should be as we talk about something that I
swear on everything that I love when it was announced,

(40:38):
didn't care when it was postponed, couldn't have cared. I
did not give a single damn. But last night I
sat up and watched four hours and forty two minutes
of amateur boxing and professional boxing and that entire charade
show that was put on yesterday at AT and T stay.
You're better known as Jerry World.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
And I'll tell you what I had fun. I had
a good.

Speaker 5 (41:03):
Time, Thank you, thank you. I had more than a
good time. It was nostalgia, guys. There's so many things
I want to go to this, but the first thing
I want to do is I agree with Martin. When
this thing first came out, if you, guys. Remember you
can go to YouTube. The clip is up. I beg
Mike not to do this. I'm bro. Don't do this.
Don't get in a ring with this clown. Don't get
in a ring with this.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
You know this.

Speaker 5 (41:23):
Entitled little privileged YouTube influencer.

Speaker 2 (41:27):
It's fake ass boxer. Don't do this. Mike. You're above this.

Speaker 4 (41:30):
You're Mike Tyson, your kid Dynamite. You're Iron, Mike. You're
from Brownsville, New York.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
Man.

Speaker 5 (41:35):
You still have the best boxing video game that's ever
been created on any system in the history of video games.

Speaker 4 (41:41):
You're Iron, Mike Tyson. Why would you do this? And then,
like when Martin says, as if we got away.

Speaker 5 (41:47):
From the announcement, I could care less when it got canceled.
I was more concerned about Mike Tyson than about the
hernia surgery that he had, the emergency hernia surgery.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
Yeah, dav I have a herding I have surgery coming up.

Speaker 5 (41:58):
I know what that feels like as a man in
at my age, middle aged man, what you're dealing with there,
But didn't like with Martin then everybody else. As the
week got going, guys, I watched that three part docu
series that's on Netflix. That leads up where the cameras
with Tyson his training camp. Then it goes to Jake
Paul and he's sitting there and he's getting his haircut
and he's talking about his training and all that, and
he's got his grusk.

Speaker 3 (42:18):
I watched that whole thing. I mean, why couldn't you
watch it?

Speaker 2 (42:19):
Right?

Speaker 5 (42:20):
Ice T's narrating it, Iced T, Morgan Freeman and Lord
Rest in Peace, Dark Vader, my Man, my man, James
Earl Jones. You got to listen to those guys if
they're gonna narrate something. So I watched all the build up,
and then as he got closer and closer, more radio
shows were talking about it, more TV sports talk shows
were talking about this was leading people showed, didn't the
weigh in and all of that.

Speaker 3 (42:40):
So then last night comes in.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
Guess what I do?

Speaker 5 (42:42):
Just like Martin, I sat and I watched every bit
of it. Drake Tequila had my daughter on my journey,
on my lap, showing her my.

Speaker 3 (42:49):
Baby, this Mike Tyson boxing daddy.

Speaker 2 (42:51):
But yeah, this boxing baby.

Speaker 5 (42:52):
This is your first boxing match, This first time you
get to watch Mike Tyson.

Speaker 6 (42:55):
With your dad.

Speaker 2 (42:56):
Right.

Speaker 5 (42:56):
I had a moment. I had a nostalgia moment, Martin.
I think we all did. But then I think the
smart people know exactly what this was. And now I'll
flip it over to Jake Paul. He actually earned a
lot of my respect last night, and I'll tell you why.
Much like Pat mahomes Mark, remember my comment when I
came back, when you were like, you gotta go watch
this quarterback thing, VJ.

Speaker 2 (43:13):
You would love it.

Speaker 5 (43:14):
Sure, And I go watch quarterback and I come back.
Before then, I used to talk trash about Pat mahons Ah. Man,
he's out there street balling, it's a little luck and
blah blah blah. Then you see the man's training regiment,
you see how serious he takes it. And that's what
I really did take from Jake Paul is the fact
that I still feel how I feel about a YouTuber
and a fast track kid and not having to really

(43:36):
actually put in the real longevity boxing work that fighters
have to put in to.

Speaker 4 (43:41):
Even get these type of fights or to even make
that type of money.

Speaker 3 (43:45):
I still feel how I feel about that part of it.

Speaker 4 (43:48):
But when I watched the kid train and I watched
the love that he puts into it, and I watched
the focus and the passion, and that you can't help
but respect that because it's not just given to him.

Speaker 5 (44:00):
He's into gym training, he's in, he's got a professional
training team, he's got a professional marketer. Now, the guy
of MVP Promotions is this boy now, and they're promoting
women boxing. They're getting women paid more than any promoter
ever got these women paid.

Speaker 4 (44:13):
As a man in entertainment, you have to respect that.

Speaker 5 (44:17):
And he showed us what I think we all knew, Martin,
but we just didn't want to believe it. Sports has
always been the business, which is one of my favorite lines.
But I'm adding something else to it which I always knew,
but I totally get it now. Sports is also too
about entertainment ladies and gentlemen. And that's why people think
there's scripts, and that's why people think things are rigged,
and that's why people think some things are fake. And
you know what, even if they are, we're still tune

(44:39):
in and watch. I don't know the number, but I
know what, forty to fifty million people something is ridiculous.
Sixty five million people watched that last night who don't
like boxing, who don't like Jake Paul, it's fake, it's fixed,
it's fraud.

Speaker 4 (44:54):
Guess what, though, guess what you still did? You still
set your ass down.

Speaker 5 (45:00):
I did it with a bottle eighteen hundred tequila and
watched every single drip of it, and then something really
went on, just for me on a personal tibit. When
I first got in this business, Mark, I was a
lot more brash. I don't think you meant me. When
I first got in this I was a lot more
brash in mouth he pride than I am now. But
I remember a gentleman and you know exactly who he is.
You're very close to him. He told me one day,
he goes VJ. With your personality and the way you are,

(45:21):
you know, you know, play the game, follow the rules,
don't get stupid. But you're the type of guy that's
gonna have to upset the apple cart. Sometimes you have
to upset the apple cart VJ. You know I'm talking
about by me saying upset the apple cart? J.

Speaker 2 (45:34):
Is this what you're talking about? Nah?

Speaker 3 (45:35):
Almost though his partner, I'm just saying.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
I'm just saying.

Speaker 5 (45:40):
Rob Parker told me that. Guys, he told me that
one day. That was his professional advice. Either you're good
at this, VJ. You're gonna go far at this. But
you're the type of guy I can tell you're gonna
have to upset the upper cart a little bit because
you're not gonna always conform to what society or what
the norm is telling you to do. And I thought,
that's what Jake Paul did last night. And I think
that's what he's been doing. And the simple fact that
we all new it might not have been real, we

(46:01):
still all bought into it.

Speaker 2 (46:03):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (46:03):
He showed man, you better get on board now, ladies
and gentlemen. If you got something to say, say it.
If you want to go at somebody, go at him
if you want to. Don't care about what people think
and say, because he don't care about what people think
he says.

Speaker 4 (46:13):
And you know what the man did last night. He
got in the ring with somebody who everybody like it
loves and adoors and that's Mike freaking Tyson. Weather hold
on the second. No, most people do, man, Most people
love Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson is a polarizing figure. I'll
say that you most have opinions on Mike Tyson. That's fine,
but those are even even the bad opinions. God, they're gone.

(46:33):
I don't ever hear it, and I watch a lot
about Mike Tyme.

Speaker 2 (46:35):
Maybe you do.

Speaker 4 (46:36):
I'm about to say, that's just there. There are tons
of people who tuned in last night because they dislike
Mike Tyson and want to see something happen. Do you
think from our generation or the younger genera people dislike
Jake Paul? But either way, I'm not here for the
Mike Tyson full redemption arc. He's had a lot of
things in his life that are that are deserving of
talking about, and so I just want to get that
on the on the table.

Speaker 6 (46:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (46:53):
Now that being said, last night, I wanted him to
whoop Jake Paul's ass. Yeah, all right, those two things
are two separate facts. I want him to tear Ja
Faulls treads. Now, did you ever think it was gonna happen?

Speaker 2 (47:03):
No?

Speaker 4 (47:03):
Because here's the thing. Mike Tyson is almost sixty freaking
years old man, and you all, like everybody who sat
there and is like he looked at too, like everybody
who sat there and talked online and talked afterwards and said,
oh this is sad to watch. What were you possibly
expecting what Mike Tyson at the end of his boxing

(47:24):
career was losing fights. So just take twenty years off
and he's just gonna snap back into his prime. It's ridiculous.

Speaker 11 (47:30):
I think he held back.

Speaker 4 (47:32):
Listen. The only reason he held back, if in fact
he did, is because he was worried about freaking blowing
a knee out on accident walking around because he's almost
sixty years old.

Speaker 11 (47:41):
No man, If he was, his legs.

Speaker 3 (47:42):
Were bad, and and Roy Jones Gier called it out.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
He goes, I don't like his legs. I don't like it.

Speaker 5 (47:46):
He goes, don't want the legs I fall four years ago.
Want the legs I fall?

Speaker 2 (47:50):
And he was right.

Speaker 5 (47:50):
You could see his leg and then when he tried
to bounce, that's a boxer trying to fool you.

Speaker 4 (47:54):
The thing that is going on here that we missed
about all of this, Jay Paul also owns the production company, right,
so when Jake Paul owns the production company, he's a
co owner that production company. Because I watched the entire broadcast,
you know what, you didn't hear one thing about until
the very minute before the fight starts. Jake Paul's boxing history.

(48:16):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (48:16):
Check.

Speaker 4 (48:17):
Somebody ask somebody who has never watched it, Jake Paul fight.
I was curious that entire lead up was four and
a half hours of can you believe the most baddest
man in the planet is walking back into the ring?
It was all to build up the myth of Mike Tyson, which,
to be fair at this point is a myth, but
it well earned because my entire life it was would

(48:39):
you rather do this or get pushed in the face
by Mike Tyson?

Speaker 2 (48:41):
Yeah? That was that was the phrase.

Speaker 3 (48:43):
Sorry, would you get pushed the face of Mike Tyson?

Speaker 2 (48:45):
For five million?

Speaker 4 (48:45):
How many millions of mill what it costs for Mike
Mike to put you in the face?

Speaker 2 (48:50):
Five million dollars? You might not wake up.

Speaker 4 (48:52):
Here's the thing, Jake Paul said, I'll do it for
forty all right, got it? But the thing like overarching
all of this, It's sad that it counts on the record,
but I don't really care. This was about the entertainments,
about the nostalgia. It was about somebody who's Vj's age, right,
Because I'm a little too young to remember Mike Tyson
all the way, but I'm old enough to have heard

(49:12):
people older than me talking about that was the baddest
man out there.

Speaker 2 (49:16):
So that was the moment where.

Speaker 4 (49:17):
You sat back and you couldn't believe that he lost
the buffer Douglas. You couldn't believe the fight that he
he can you believe he bit e Vander Holyfield in
the ear. You feel all of those things as you're
watching this event, which was a great thing for Jake
Paul and to because nobody likes Jake Paul, Like, nobody
likes him, nobody's rooting for him. But now you end
up sitting people with V like I do not share

(49:38):
this same opinion as VJ Like. I don't have any
more or less respect for Jake Paul than I did
the day before yesterday. Fight somebody who's actually fighting, then
we can have a conversation about the fight though.

Speaker 2 (49:47):
But I but I'm not about to fight. Just challenge
Babe Ruth to a home run derby so exactly exactly exactly, see.
I like that, I do.

Speaker 4 (49:56):
I like that I could score more than Will Chamberlain
in the basketball right now, right now, right now, scary cat.

Speaker 11 (50:02):
I mean, I challenged Rob Parker on Twitter.

Speaker 4 (50:04):
If you look at it, I literally but the fact
of the matter is that when we sit here like
this event was one that was all to the build
up the nostalgia. It was all to build up the
draw Mike Tyson and all this, all this was was
a payday. And the thing about it is you don't
have to feel bad about enjoying it, right, So many

(50:25):
people were walking on timeline, tweeting, going out and being like,
it was just really sad to see me. You know
what Mike felt after that twenty million dollars richer and
he barely got hit, all right, and he barely He
was standing out there to the last to the point,
the last round, for the last thirty seconds, they're just
looking at each other.

Speaker 2 (50:43):
Paul bow.

Speaker 5 (50:46):
He bounce, could have took his head off if he wanted.
I honestly was rooting for it.

Speaker 2 (50:50):
But here's the thing though, Like all of this, it
was just fun.

Speaker 4 (50:54):
Guys.

Speaker 3 (50:54):
It didn't cost you any money if you're already.

Speaker 4 (50:56):
Because you let's be honest, if you're under thirty five,
you already got Netflix, or you gotta Netflix password for somebody,
or you live with your parents still and using their Netflix.
You didn't have to pay for this, okay. And I
was a smart part. Not only that, if you told
it a little bit early, you saw one of the
best fights up see in years between Serrano and Taylor.
Serrano was robbed and she was boxing at Jordan's. Yes, yes,

(51:17):
she was the space jam joints. She had to space
the the black and red spaces on boxing had her
eyebrow split as far as the red Sea dirty head Bucks.

Speaker 3 (51:27):
I mean, but seriously, that was entertainment throughout that night.

Speaker 4 (51:30):
But just don't be fooled. Just don't be fool all right,
just do not do not let MVP Jake Paul Productions
pull the ro It's already happened.

Speaker 5 (51:41):
That's the point that I'm making, and we keep trying
to act like we're gonna ignore it. He guys, listen,
he is going to get a Sation title fight. No, yes,
he we wark my word, Well, then he will and
if he does, then find But that's not the point
I'm making. The point I'm making is he will get
he will get a fight, He'll get a title.

Speaker 4 (52:00):
The real thing that that I took from this is
that Netflix is simply not ready to broadcast the NFL games.
Netflix is simply not ready to broadcast NFL about to say,
still coming out ready. The amount of times that my
Netflix stream hit refreshing or hit twenty five seventy five
ninety nine percent the amount of times that I had

(52:22):
to low. And here's the thing, no excuses. Amazon Prime
has figured this out. Peacock has figured this out. If
you Netflix and fought my Christmas State football, I will
be furious. And I'm on the radio that day more
than likely too, so I will be dragging right then
and there. This is not the first time that Netflix
had trouble running a live event. You all may have

(52:42):
heard of one. Love is Blind, very big deal for Netflix.
I cannot escape it in my home when a new
season comes out. Was not exactly a very big deal
for Netflix. No, they had CEO Greg Peters said after
the Love is Blind reunion that was they were waiting
for more than an hour to stream this show. People

(53:03):
were locked into said quote. We had a bug that
we introduced actually when we implemented some changes to try
to improve live streaming after the last live broadcast. This
is twenty twenty three that the Netflix CEO said this.

Speaker 2 (53:15):
I'm sitting here at twenty.

Speaker 4 (53:16):
Twenty four watching Jerry Jones thinking he's welcoming the Netflix
to the NFL instead Michael Larvin at the hand them
the microphone because it was a second rate production. I'll
just say this, Netflix, you may not be ready for
the You've been on board and you could chew because
if my Chiefs is skipping, I'll be furious. On Christmas

(53:38):
Day of all.

Speaker 2 (53:38):
Days, I saw there's been a tweet that's kind of
going viral that's just like a video of you know,
obviously NFL needs to get their stuff figured out because
if they don't, it could look like this. And it's
like just showing iconic NFL plays, like like even the
reason like the Saquon Barkley backwards hurdle, that helmet catch
David Tyree just starts buffering.

Speaker 4 (53:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (53:59):
That also that that that's also been really creative. Two
things with Mike Tyson also too, I think showed last night,
like we just told Hammer and Hay, hey man, it's
never too late.

Speaker 2 (54:09):
Don't let aid stop you.

Speaker 3 (54:11):
It's less twenty million dollars.

Speaker 2 (54:12):
Than doing than doing than doing uh doing nothing.

Speaker 5 (54:15):
But the nostalgia feel of it also showed to this
solidified me as Mike Tyson as the second boxer ever
until League because even at fifty eight sixty five million
people tuned in to watch him. You might have watched
Jake Paul to lose, but if it was anybody else,
it would not have been that many peoples American icon.

Speaker 4 (54:32):
That's what it boils down the drama. Nobody was utiful
thinking that he was gonna I'm not.

Speaker 5 (54:38):
Saying non minute, yeah, four minutes. Gimately, I'm not going
I'm not gonna cop out like that. For a minute,
I thought he could he could win the fight. Well
until about the third round, I'm like, he just okay
at no point, no, yeah, well I did the only thing.

Speaker 4 (54:53):
The only time I thought that maybe, maybe maybe this
is not a complete farce is the way he walked out.
He was very serious in his walkout. But after that,
after I actually saw them, I mean, are you.

Speaker 3 (55:03):
About to make twenty million dollars? You better be serious.

Speaker 8 (55:07):
I'm telling you, I really feel like he like definitely
was like he could have done it to him so
bad and he chose not to for that twenty million.

Speaker 2 (55:17):
Wow is a lot of money.

Speaker 3 (55:19):
It is. It's a lot of money.

Speaker 4 (55:20):
Either way, I don't feel bad for any of them.

Speaker 2 (55:22):
I didn't change my opinion that.

Speaker 4 (55:23):
Jake Paul one bit. If you want to fight somebody,
fight somebody, let's fight somebody who fights though.

Speaker 11 (55:27):
How about that, Well he lost to Tommy Fierry.

Speaker 3 (55:29):
Yeah he lost it, the one pro box he Faulty lost.

Speaker 4 (55:33):
So yeah, that's why I think he's smart enough to
not go ahead and take that actual title fight. Do
just keep getting these paydays, and you know what, good
for you? You got me once, you'll never get me again.
Coming up next is the winner of this game clearly
clearly going to win their division because it's a little clouded,
but it'll make sense of just a minute, Martin White VJ.

Speaker 2 (55:53):
Husky.

Speaker 4 (55:53):
Fox Sports Radio got a game for the top spot
in this division coming up tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (56:00):
Football fans be sure.

Speaker 4 (56:02):

(56:24):
I played baseball, This would be my walk up song
Spotty Eudy Dope Delicious by Outcast, Damn damn damn shame
not a bad one.

Speaker 8 (56:33):
And I'll tell you, James, I just look up the lyrics,
like right now you said, what it's damn damn damn James, Well.

Speaker 2 (56:39):
Shame to me.

Speaker 4 (56:41):
My older brother Dennis does that.

Speaker 5 (56:43):
If he gets the lyrics wrong, someone correct, so he goes, well,
that's how I sing this song.

Speaker 3 (56:49):
She five two are fine too.

Speaker 2 (56:51):
You know what?

Speaker 5 (56:52):
How over I'm feeling that day? This would be a
walk up So Ian, do you have a walk up
song if you play baseball? I have, Well, mine would
be what we Do by a Freeway jay Z and
Beanie Sequel. I would need time to think about it.
Oh yeah, I just thought you might already had a
decision to be on. I don't have one off the dome,
So yeah, I think, how are you? I'll come back
to your favorite song on how are.

Speaker 4 (57:11):
You, as a man who likes sports? Not readily available
to answer? What's your walk up song? That's bad?

Speaker 3 (57:20):
Why you stuttered? What's your favorite song?

Speaker 4 (57:22):
You have?

Speaker 3 (57:23):
Everybody's got a favorite song. They can just spit out.

Speaker 2 (57:24):
What's your favorite song of all time is have you
ever seen the Ring Creaeden's Clearwater Revival? But that's not
a great walk up song, you know, No it's not.
I've never heard of one.

Speaker 4 (57:33):
Ya.

Speaker 3 (57:36):
Look there's two a goods one, so I guess I'm
not a good song.

Speaker 2 (57:38):
All right?

Speaker 4 (57:38):
Go ahead, Mark, all right, let's flip flop these souse.
I think this one has a little bit more bone on,
more meat on the bone. We'll talk about the Ravens
Eat Ravens Steelers game in just second after we kicked
the Steve J. Seger. Let's go ahead and talk about
this though right now, because we have an AFC playoff
matchup I'm sorry, AFC matchup which will have major playoff implications.
Is what I should say? Between two teams that are

(58:02):
fighting and clawing for wildcard positioning right now, the Cincinnati
Bengals and the Los Angeles Chargers. I think we kind
of look at the Chargers right now and say, oh,
look how good this right now? Look out so much
better than when Brandon Stanley was in town, you know, saying,
looking at what the Charge six and three, playing really
good defense, playing very not conservative.

Speaker 3 (58:20):
What's the world I'm gonna look for a safe offense
or not turning the ball.

Speaker 4 (58:23):
Well, right, then you go and you look at Cincinnati,
who has a defense that leaves much to be desired.
But Joe Burrow was throwing four and five touchdown passes
in games they're losing. That offense is potent, especially the
passing game.

Speaker 2 (58:39):
When you take.

Speaker 4 (58:40):
About, regardless of the record, which one of these two
teams do you think is better then factoring in the record,
who's got a better shot at going on a run
to secure that wildcard spot?

Speaker 5 (58:49):
For me to be the Chargers, I just love the defense. Defense,
the more scoring defense in football. If you can't score,
you can't beat a team. And just their physicality. Now,
I do think they are going to need a game
breaking type guy later in the year, and I think
that might be the downfall of why they can get
eliminated early in the playoff. Because I had Hi predicted
going to the playoffs, I'll stick with that. They'll be
in the playoffs. Not sure if the Bengals will be there,

(59:10):
but I know the Chargers will. Now they do have
a string of games starting tomorrow night. I'll be out.
I'll be there tomorrow night covering the game. Cincinnati Bengals
do come in there tomorrow, then I believe they have
the Baltimore Ravens on a Monday night, did the Atlanta Falcons,
and then Kansas City. That four game stretch right there
will tell me and everybody else all they need to
know about the the Los Angeles Chargers and their chances

(59:33):
this year. I think they can get out of that
three and one with the defense and Herbert just playing
out of his mind. The high ankle spraining I asked
about last week, he said, iakle Sprain's gone.

Speaker 4 (59:43):
He's good.

Speaker 5 (59:43):
He's able to move more. They're putting more run plays
into the offense for him. They had fourth and goal
and they ran a quarterback power wasn't even an RPO.
Snapped in the him guy motion to lead blockers and
big justin Herbert go get us a touchdown, which he did.
So they're gonna be able to run the football. We
know that they're gonna be able to stop the run,
and they're gonna be able to just be physical with you.
The defense once again playing lights lights out. So I

(01:00:04):
would give it to the Charges right now that they're
the better team right now. I think they're better for
the long run. Also to as far as get to
the playoffs, four and six is gonna be tough in
the AFC, man six and three looks a lot better
than me right now.

Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
This is an ugly way to say this, especially since
I phrased the question. I don't think either one of
these team is going to make the playoffs. Okay, I
don't think either one of these teams are going to
make the playoffs when you look at this schedule, like
Indianapolis has been a disaster thus far this year. They
play hard though, but their I'm talking about in terms
of their quarterbacking situation, and we'll get to that coming

(01:00:36):
up in a little bit. Have a feeling that was
a call down from an old Jim Mer say, Hey,
I'm watching flat all throw aders pick sections. On the
first play, I drafted somebody fourth. He could do that
flat flacles done. He had his run, he had his
late run, but he's done. I kept tweeting the last
games Anthony Richard could make tackles.

Speaker 5 (01:00:54):
That's true, no no flak. But do you see him
sitting on the bench. He looks, he looks, so look,
Colt's got the Jets.

Speaker 4 (01:00:59):
Tomorrow Lions loss Patriots.

Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
I don't know, Broncos, I don't know Titans, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
Giants, Jaguars.

Speaker 2 (01:01:09):
To close out their schedule.

Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
You look at the Bengals, they go with Chargers, Steelers, Cowboys, Titans, Browns, Broncos,
and then you go with I'm sorry, that's the Bengals.
Then you go with the Chargers. Schedules, Well, they got
the Ravens and the Chiefs and the Broncos all left
on this schedule. I think the Broncos are gonna end
up maintaining where they are, maybe go two and one

(01:01:33):
and two in those games and maintain where they are,
and look out for that coach in the AFC South
because they're gonna they have a lot of cream pies
coming up. There's no big uh, no big uh competition
for I should say indian for Indianapolis coming up, even
though that team to me is not a great team.
But coming up, we'll talk about two teams that are

(01:01:54):
actually pretty damn good. The Ravens we expected, the Steelers
a bit of a surprise. We'll talk about that in
just a second. But first, Steve the Sega. With everything
that's trending in the world of sports, Steve, you're up.

Speaker 10 (01:02:06):
We will start with the game at Georgia and the
Bulldogs are down at home to seventh thrand Tennessee seventeen
to fourteen. Georgia is driving with thirteen seconds left in
the first half. Number one Oregon is trailing at Wisconsin
early third quarter ten six Badgers. It was six to
nothing Oregon after the first quarter. Late third quarter, thirteenth
rank Boise State is tied at San Jose State twenty

(01:02:28):
one All Ashton Genties, star running back of Boise twenty
one carries seventy one yards one touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
Late third quarter.

Speaker 10 (01:02:35):
Arizona State leads at number sixteen Kansas State twenty four
to six.

Speaker 2 (01:02:38):
Halftime.

Speaker 10 (01:02:39):
Texas A and m over New Mexico State twenty four
to nothing. Stanford beat nineteenth rank Louisville thirty eight to
thirty five on a fifty two yard field goal on
the final play. Twenty th rank Clemson won at pitt
in a battle of seven and two teams, twenty four
to twenty the final on a late TD. South Carolina
won its home matchup in the top twenty five against
Missouri thirty four to thirty. Florida at home beat number

(01:03:01):
twenty two ranked LSU twenty seven to sixteen. Twenty fifth
ranked two Lane will be in its conference final this
year in the American thirty five nothing at Navy. The
final today. By the way, the final playoff bracket will
be announced in less than a month December. The eighth
Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins will play Monday night
at Dallas. He's off the injury report after missing five

(01:03:21):
games with a hamstring entry to the NBA. The Lakers
are in action at New Orleans in mid third quarter.
It's the Pelicans ahead sixty three sixty two over LA.
Anthony Davis does have nineteen points ten rebounds in two
and a half quarters so far. Milwaukee falls to four
and nine this season. Lost by a point at Charlotte
one fifteen to one, fourteen among the twelve NHL games

(01:03:45):
a team that's fifteen and two this year. Winnipeg is
losing five to nothing at Florida about five minutes left
in the game, and the Devils have had a good season,
but they're down three to nothing at Tampa Bay with
ten minutes to go. Former Olympic gymnastics coach Bellaly died
at the age of eighty two. He had defected to
the USC nineteen eighty one.

Speaker 3 (01:04:04):
Back to you, thanks Steve Martin and VJ.

Speaker 4 (01:04:07):
Coming to you a lot from the tire rack dot
Com Studios game of Who You Got coming up about
thirteen to fifteen minutes. But right now I'll pick ask
VJ who he's got this matchup. I feel like I
was the only person in America VJ who was like,
I don't know, guys, I think the Steelers might be
all right. Like as as the season was starting, he
was like, I don't know, guys. The calls for Mike

(01:04:29):
Tomlin have his first under five hundred season, saying this
team is gonna be one of the worst HEAs in football.

Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
I don't know, man.

Speaker 3 (01:04:34):
They still got TJ wat, Mika Fitzpatrick, a pretty good defense.

Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
I don't know, man.

Speaker 4 (01:04:38):
It just improved that quarterback no matter who they start,
right So, I think Pittsburgh right now, I think people
at this point now we are saying, Okay, this team
is real. Seven and two, this is real. I had
a certain point in time the record has the matter.
Baltimore seven and three, one game up, I mean one
game Pittsburgh won game up. But again, obviously Baltimore's played ten,
Pittsburgh only nine. So this game really could be for

(01:05:02):
a home playoff game. It is when it's all said
and done, Yeah, go ahead, It's not.

Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
It's not.

Speaker 4 (01:05:08):
Whoever wins this game will have a foot in the
right direction towards hosting a home playoff game. It is
one thing that it is a step in the right
direction to getting that. It's not gonna lock it all
the way up, but you do this. You got the
tire breakers, you got all of that. Which one of
these teams do you think will be hosting that home
playoff game?

Speaker 5 (01:05:27):
Things are gonna be the Baltimore Ravens because they just
have the better running game. They Dere Henry guys, and
they have Lamar Jackson, and I tend to lean towards
the better quarterback when you talk about matchups like this
where teams are really even a team to lean towards
the quarterback because the quarterback, the guy is gonna make
the plays of Lamar Jackson does not have to lead
the Ravens in the rushing anymore, which he had done

(01:05:47):
since his rookie year until enter King Henry, and a
lot of people thought, even myself, thought this could be
a chip on the shoulder type year, which we haven't
you know, which is what it's turning out to be
a chip on the shoulder type year. Like, Oh, you
guys don't think I have anymore? No problem, I'll go
to a new team Tennessee. You want to move on
from me. You've been trying to trade me for the
last two years. Okay, no problem. I'll just go out
and be second in the league in rushing right now

(01:06:09):
at eleven twenty. I was number one until Thursday night
and then oh yeah, that guy VJ mentioned earlier that
plays for the Philadelhia Eagles now Sakwan Barkley. He's the
lead of rusher and stop devaluing running backs. They still matter,
So that's why I would lean towards them. But I
do think Pittsburgh would be right there. The only thing
is I would trust the Ravens more to go on
the road and win a playoff game that I would
trust the Steelers to go on the road and win

(01:06:30):
a playoff game, because I still don't trust Russell Wilson.
I just don't there it's coming. There's a game that
we're gonna look and go, Okay, yeah, there's the older
guy now right now, they're playing very efficient football. Just
don't turn the ball over, Russ, don't don't put it people,
will you know, bring up to me he he threw
three touchdown passes.

Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
I know he did.

Speaker 4 (01:06:46):
I'll watch the game, bro.

Speaker 5 (01:06:47):
I know he threw the three touchdown passes, and he
has the ability to still have a game or two
light that that's not sustainable though, as Martin loves to say,
I don't think that's gonna be the longevity of this team.

Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
And sooner or later it'll it'll show.

Speaker 2 (01:06:58):
I'll take Lamar over.

Speaker 3 (01:07:00):
Were any of the two quarterbacks that the Stealers have, well,
I don't think.

Speaker 4 (01:07:03):
If the question is who's got the better quarterback, then
the answer is going to be Baltimore, seeing as he's
in line to win his third MVP if the season
ended today.

Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
But the question is who's got the better team?

Speaker 4 (01:07:14):
To me, and as good as the Ravens offense is,
Ravens defense is not as it's barely competitive. Think about
this now. It was September twenty second, so it didn't
necessarily hit the same way. This Ravens defense gave up
twenty five points to the Dallas Cowboys. That offense This

(01:07:36):
Ravens defense gave up twenty six points to the Vegas
Raiders lost the game two. Right, This Ravens defense get
thirty eight to Cincinnati. Cincinnati, a team that we're talking
about both saying will likely miss the playoffs. Right, This
Ravens defense gave up thirty one to Tampa Bay with that,

(01:07:57):
and Chris Godwin got hurt in that game. Mike Evans
got hurt nicking Like this Ravenus defense is flatly bad.
It's bad at this point in time of the year.
We have to be honest, it is bad. And when
you think about why it's bad, They've had a history
of defense in Baltimore. Have they played defense all the
time in Baltimore' That's one of the things that they
hang their hats on.

Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
Absolutely.

Speaker 4 (01:08:19):
But the problem is Mike McDonald gone Seattle's head coach,
former defensive back coach is Ard Wilson is the defensive
coordinator in Tennessee. Tho's got a pretty damn good defense.
The Titans defensive line coach now the defensive coordinator in Miami.

Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
That Miami defense has been.

Speaker 4 (01:08:34):
Playing pretty well, especially when you consider their offense hasn't
been doing much of anything. Since Tua went out and
Tyreek got the rift injury, offense has been disastrous for
the vast majority of the year. Defense has been pretty
damn good. There's a lot of brains rain from the
coordinator position in Baltimore.

Speaker 2 (01:08:52):
That's the problem. All the players are damn near the
same Marlon.

Speaker 4 (01:08:56):
Humphrey still there is some of that has to do
with the lack of institutional you know, consistency over and
over and over again with these coordinators. You look where
they've gone, the defenses that they've gone to have improved.
Baltimore is struggling right now. I don't think that the
Pittsburgh Steelers trust Russell Wilson. I know you said that
they trust. I don't think they do.

Speaker 2 (01:09:16):
I don't they don't.

Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
I don't think they I don't think they.

Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
Chris.

Speaker 4 (01:09:18):
Here's the thing. When you go back and watch what
russ is asked to do. Check down, check down, check down.

Speaker 2 (01:09:26):
Deep ball.

Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
That's really what he's asked to do.

Speaker 4 (01:09:28):
Turn around, hand the ball off, give us a good
enough play action fake we can get four yards on
a run and we're gonna possess the ball. We're not
going to turn it over. We're not gonna put you
in position to make mistakes, Russ. And even still he
had an interception against Washington, a very funny tackle thereby
George Pickens on somebody who did not have the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:09:49):
I wonder if he had that one planned out.

Speaker 4 (01:09:51):
But I'll say, it does not seem to me that
Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers have this it like
this whole let Russ Cook no, no, no, no, no, Russ
Fitz into what they want their quarterback to do. It
doesn't seem to me that they're doing much different than
they had with Kenny Pickett. They have just improved at
that position incredibly.

Speaker 5 (01:10:10):
I want to I want to defend the Ravens defense
here just a little bit, because I gotta be the first.

Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
Defense happening in Baltimore.

Speaker 5 (01:10:17):
Yeah, I'll I get the rankings, Okay, I get I
get the rankings of the defense, Okay, But at the
end of the day.

Speaker 4 (01:10:25):
Think about it.

Speaker 3 (01:10:25):
They've played the Chiefs high powered offense. They played Dallas.

Speaker 5 (01:10:28):
Now you gotta remember they played Dallas in Week three,
so the Dallas defense had the offense has sputtered, but
they did come out early in the year. The typical
Dallas offense that we saw. They played the Ravens offense.
I mean, not the Ravens. That's gonna be the Bills offense.
With Dallas, they played the Bengals offense. They played the
Commanders offense. They played the Buccaneers offense. Like they've played

(01:10:49):
some offenses that we've been praising this year. We haven't
been crapping on these offenses. They got guys.

Speaker 3 (01:10:54):
All those teams just name have a franchise quarterback.

Speaker 5 (01:10:56):
They got a number one to throw it to, and
they got to the other pieces and other weapons there.
So I just I know, listen, I know the ranking
and I don't like where the raking is for them,
But when you're also the number one scoring offense and
the number one total offense in the league, there's certain.

Speaker 4 (01:11:13):
These There's sometimes these years.

Speaker 5 (01:11:15):
We used to say this about Alabama, you and I
right where there were just years where they didn't have
a quarterback and it had a power running back, but
they had nine guys on the defense that was going
to the NFL. Right, And then you have a year
where you have a tour are you have a Jalen Hurts,
Are you have a Mac Jones and you have all
these receivers and Devontie Smith was the heitsman, and people
start to question Nick Saban's defense at that point. Sometimes

(01:11:36):
great teams break franchises, great programs in college.

Speaker 3 (01:11:40):
It flip flops.

Speaker 5 (01:11:41):
Sometimes I think they still got guys like I still
love Marlon humph I still love Kyle Hamilton.

Speaker 2 (01:11:46):
They got guys on the defensive end.

Speaker 5 (01:11:48):
But they've also played some high powered offenses that are
gonna move the football and listen, man, Sometimes the other
guy's good too.

Speaker 4 (01:11:54):
That's the great thing about football.

Speaker 3 (01:11:56):
Sometimes the other guy could play too.

Speaker 2 (01:11:58):
Sometimes the other quarterbacks good.

Speaker 5 (01:12:00):
The other team can block, they can tackle, they can
run the ball, they can throw the ball, they can
run good routes. Sometimes the other players just and the
other team is just good also. So I know where
the ranking is. But I believe when it comes down
to it and they need it, I think the Baltimore
Ravens defense will make the players they need to make
them go far to the playoffs. I think they can
get to the AFC Championship Game again, is where they
were last year. So that's just my defense on the offense.

(01:12:22):
As far as comparing them team beteam for the Steelers,
the Steelers are. We have already documented what they are.
But once again, the Ravens I think are a better
team for the simple fact that you're talking about the
number one offense in football, which means they're gonna score
points thirty two a game. That means you gotta score
more than thirty two to beat them, unless you're one
of the two losses that they've had. I'm tossed up

(01:12:43):
on this game. I haven't made my pick yet, but
I could really see them going in and handling Pittsburgh.
It's gonna be a low scoring game. Are in the
over hunders forty seven and a half. I don't think
we go there. I take the under on that.

Speaker 4 (01:12:53):
I would go over for sure. I think you gonna
you think real?

Speaker 5 (01:12:56):
Nah, I got this being a fistfight. It's gonna be wet.
It's starting to get cold up there in Pittsburgh. This
is going to be a fist fight. This is going
to be three yards in the cloud of dust tomorrow. Man.
One team may score twenty. This is going to be
a fist fight tomorrow early in the morning. Man, I don't.
I definitely think that under comes in.

Speaker 4 (01:13:14):
But the defense is as bad as Baltimore's is they
are straight over teams by the revision games. Man, that's fine.
Nine and one in Ravens games to the over this season,
they've played.

Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
What three division games thus far? Bo I know that
it wasn't No.

Speaker 4 (01:13:29):
Seventy nine over in Ravens Bengals Part one and it
was sixty nine points scored Ravens Bengals Part two.

Speaker 3 (01:13:36):
Yeah, so that those are two division matchups. Those are
two division matchups. But it's not still It's not Ravens
and still Babes. Ravens and Stillers is different. These are
fist fights. These are These are run the ball, stop
to run, low scoring football games. Just want to go
into the Morrow. Ravens gave up thirty points to the Browns.
They're not stopping anybody.

Speaker 4 (01:13:52):
Coming up next, we'll see if Ian can stop us
in a game of Who You Got? Martin VJ Fox
Sports Football Saturday. Martin and BJ coming to you a
lot from the ti iraq dot com studios. You can
hit us up with your two cents on Twitter if
you care to do so. I'm at Martin Wise VJ
at Big Vanilla Funny. We'll get to your tweets throughout
the show.

Speaker 2 (01:14:13):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (01:14:14):
Right now, looking at Oregon and Wisconsin and a dog fighting,
I'm on a team in the nation trailing right now
late I shouldn't say late, but in the second quarter,
right sird quarters the second half. No, this is a
third quarter, third quarter lately, Yeah, quarter thirteen to six
to score three forty five left in the third quarter.
We'll keep you updated on that game and everything else

(01:14:35):
going on in college football and around the world of sports.

Speaker 3 (01:14:38):
But now let's go ahead and play a game of
who you got? All right?

Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
Who you got? This week's addition is Chiefs Versus Bills.
That's the game we're looking at. So just a refresher
to those who might be joining us for the first
time on who you got? The rules here that I'm
thinking of a player, a GM, a coach, whatever, someone
who has something to do with either the Chiefs or
the Bills organization. I'm gonna give you, guys, clue each
you know, slowly as we go along, and hopefully each

(01:15:02):
clue makes it a little bit easier to guess who
it is you guys, Ready, Yeah, let's do it. Chiefs
Versus Bills. Clue number one. This player was a first
round draft pick by one of these two teams. EJ.
Manual No, Trit McDuffie incorrect. Next clue. He remains the

(01:15:31):
youngest NFL player to ever record an interception.

Speaker 4 (01:15:36):
Youngest NFL player Cayer Elam Nope, mm hmm wow, Marcus Peters.

Speaker 2 (01:15:51):
Nope, incorrect. VJ anything. Are we ready for a new clue?
All right? He is a two time pro bowler, but
never an All All Pro.

Speaker 3 (01:16:03):
Two time pro bowler, but never an All Pro.

Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
Tyron Matthew Nope.

Speaker 4 (01:16:09):
Good. Guess my god, Eric Berry, who seems to always
be my guest for that, I've.

Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
Been waiting for the the Eric Barry, Yeah, like five times.
It's gonna be the answer one day next Now I'm
never making it the answer. So there you go. Wow.
Well now you don't know. Maybe I want you to
think that. Anyway, He was the second youngest player ever
drafted to the NFL. All right, he's he's young. We
get it.

Speaker 3 (01:16:36):
Uh Oh, Mario.

Speaker 4 (01:16:39):
Williams, No, look at the Bills defensive end drafted one over.

Speaker 5 (01:16:45):
But but the thing is, I don't think I don't
The player wasn't drafted by these two teams. He just
came through both these teams. He wasn't drafted by these
two teams.

Speaker 2 (01:16:54):
And now I'm trying to think of say, go ahead,
he played college football at Virginia Tech, where he was
in All the American in twenty seventeen.

Speaker 4 (01:17:03):
VT twenty seventeen All American. Please, oh, oh, corner Caleb Farley.

Speaker 3 (01:17:12):
No, No, that's a corner from v Tech.

Speaker 2 (01:17:13):
But I know he not.

Speaker 5 (01:17:15):
No, no, man, I see his face. I just can't
grab the name. I wanted to say Drake Bli, but
he came out of Carolina, and I know it's not
dra Bli. Well, Drake Bli wouldn't have been in college
in twenty exactly. I know that for some reason. And
they and the the young young, young corner first.

Speaker 4 (01:17:32):
Round draft pick, oh Fuller, Kendle full.

Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
All right, next clue, this might change your mind about
the position. He's recorded over one hundred tackles in every season.

Speaker 7 (01:17:43):
He's played over one hundred tackles. A Mad Brooks, Nope,
James Ferrier, No, if he's got a hundred tackles, he's
not a cornerback. He's got to either be a safety
or a linebacker. Eric Barry again, I don't know. Jordan

(01:18:03):
Poyter No.

Speaker 2 (01:18:04):
He was a team captain for the Bills, and he's
now a team captain for the Bears.

Speaker 4 (01:18:12):
Now a team captain for the Bears. Is it Tyreek Stevenson?

Speaker 2 (01:18:14):
Nope?

Speaker 4 (01:18:15):
Who I believe is a team captain?

Speaker 2 (01:18:17):
First round Eddie Johnson first round Nope. First round pick
in twenty eighteen by the Buffalo Bills, second youngest player
ever drafted to the NFL.

Speaker 4 (01:18:26):
I'm just trying to think. This is why I struggle.
Want to say, emaculate, great game. If you I'm trying
to figure out it is a little tough. It is
a tough one.

Speaker 2 (01:18:33):
This is tough man. He was a first round pick.
Oh Edmunds, Yes, Tremaine Tremaine Edmunds. Nice one, Martin Tremaine Edmunds.

Speaker 4 (01:18:42):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (01:18:44):
He's got a brother too, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:18:46):
Who plays for the Steelers. I used to play for
the Steelers.

Speaker 3 (01:18:48):
At least right look identical.

Speaker 2 (01:18:50):
I remember I always like see either of them and
think it's the other.

Speaker 4 (01:18:53):
But one's a year older.

Speaker 3 (01:18:54):
I think I think the Steelers a year older than.

Speaker 4 (01:18:57):
The Sounds, right Edward.

Speaker 2 (01:18:59):
But yeah, this Tremaine Edmunds, youngest player to ever record
an interception. I get where you guys are going with
the corner thing. That's why I was a little confusing,
is because linebackers you don't generally think.

Speaker 5 (01:19:07):
Because when I went because he exactly a minute you
said that, and then I just started trying to run
through all these UVA corners. But it's like, why that
hasn't been a lot of that would have been the
trouble because he went to Virginia Tech. Yeah, Virginia Tech. Yeah,
Virginia Tech. Oh you know what, my bad, That's where
I thought you said u v A. I was like,
he went to the uv A, But I thought you
were just throwing the names. No, no, no, I was

(01:19:28):
trying to no, man, I'll be trying to be trying
to beat his man, be trying to be way.

Speaker 4 (01:19:34):
Best intros in college football. Man, that's right.

Speaker 3 (01:19:37):
And they're saying that either that or Florida State.

Speaker 2 (01:19:39):
At night.

Speaker 3 (01:19:40):
In Florida State, you get to Tomahawk and the oh oh.

Speaker 1 (01:19:43):
Now.

Speaker 4 (01:19:43):
The only good entrance, they say, is when the opposing
team comes in, the cameras following them walking down the
tunnel coming out. That's still yeah. Coming up next, Kansas
City Buffalo. Who do we think wins the game? We'll
pick it and just the moment that and the Atomic Dogs.
Martin White, VJ Husky, Fox Sports Football Saturday.

Speaker 1 (01:20:01):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 4 (01:20:04):
That's right, and we're broadcasting live from the tire iraq

(01:20:31):
but who else is telling you who wins outright? And
who else? Who else is cashing at minimum one a week?
Go ahead plus money bets us out for the topic.
Freaking dogs.

Speaker 2 (01:20:43):
All right, Atomic Dogs? Updating from last week now. Martin
has asked that I clarify this at the beginning before
updating the scores. It was close to the Broncos beating
the Chiefs, but they blocked the field goal, leading to
the Chiefs remaining undefeated. Martin had the Broncos. I just
wanted to beat.

Speaker 4 (01:21:00):
Oh, that was my number one. Put it with the bullet.

Speaker 2 (01:21:03):
Don't go to the window right now. Four and a
half to one. They were winning out.

Speaker 4 (01:21:08):
Right, Frank Black, thanks a lot, Alex Forsyth, AnyWho?

Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
AnyWho? Okay, well last week, Martin, you went too and one,
so you were very close to three and oh. I
guess you did go three and oh. The big Manua
Funny Boom Rocky J. Vernononski himself was three and oh
on underdog picks last week.

Speaker 3 (01:21:25):
So well done. Nine and one in my last ten.

Speaker 4 (01:21:28):
Do you remember the three you had this?

Speaker 5 (01:21:30):
Yes, Saints, Steelers, we both want Steelers.

Speaker 3 (01:21:34):
Saints, Steelers and Panthers.

Speaker 5 (01:21:36):
I actually had four. I threw Panthers in there too.
I had four and then I forget what the late
one was. It was a late game.

Speaker 2 (01:21:42):
Well I deleted the games that you had. I just
have the score.

Speaker 5 (01:21:46):
But I actually went four and oh last week because
I had the Panthers on late. As an honorable mention,
we only count to three since he.

Speaker 2 (01:21:51):
Went four to oh last week.

Speaker 3 (01:21:52):
I want to go ahead, take us through your first dog.

Speaker 5 (01:21:55):
I'm going undefeated again this week, man, because I'm gonna
start out in New England. Man, that three and seven
football team has a rain seen coming in that I
was able to see. I they cover against my Dolphins
Monday night, and I saw that offense struggle again. When
they go up, it gets a really good aggressive defense
that only has the rush four or five.

Speaker 2 (01:22:10):
They don't have the blitzer light.

Speaker 5 (01:22:11):
Dolphins only blitz about four times last week to get
to uh, Matthew Stafford, I think the Patriots gonna do
exact same thing. There are plus five at home, forty
three and a half on the under. Here take the under,
ladies and gentlemen, this is gonna be a fistfight. It's
gonna be cold, it's gonna be wet. There's weather going
on up in the Northeast. I used to live up
this way, so I noticed like it this point of
the year, going into Thanksgiving, the Patriots will knock off

(01:22:33):
and pretty much almost put the nail halfway in the
coffin of the Rams. Postseason dreams, and you're give me
the Patriots at home plus five tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (01:22:41):
For my first dog, No kidding, no joke. This was
absolutely mine.

Speaker 4 (01:22:45):
The same pick I've been on the Patriots for the
last three weeks, and you know what when one of
the last three weeks.

Speaker 3 (01:22:51):
Since Gerard Mayo called them soft.

Speaker 4 (01:22:54):
I think it probably has more to do with the
starting of Drake may As opposed to cover PC. But
still since Gerard Mayo called dep saw off two and
one out right, and they will win this game as well.

Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
The Rams, who the Rams wuld be laying over a field.
Go stop it, my second dog, excuse my bad. Let
go ahead, go hit it again, hit again. Here we go,
all right, my second dog.

Speaker 5 (01:23:13):
I'm going winning for three weeks on the road because
last week I told you guys, with a new coach,
they were gonna win. I thought Homeboy passed out, blew
out a hamstring, something happened.

Speaker 2 (01:23:21):
He didn't look normal.

Speaker 5 (01:23:22):
Celebrated coach Rizzy and his first win. But you can
see that energy and see the energy for the team.
This carries on tomorrow at home plus one underdog three
and seven forty four and a half one the younger.

Speaker 3 (01:23:32):
I'm taking the under here too.

Speaker 5 (01:23:33):
It is gonna be a fist fight with the Browns
because the Browns still bring a great defense every single week. Sorry,
Miles Garrett, you didn't get traded. I pulled for a brother.
They didn't happen. You gotta deal with the rest of
this year. Figure out in the off season. But give
me the Saints to start two and oh with their
new interim coach Daniel d excuse me, Darren Rizzy as
an Underdoug Tomorrow at home in front of the home

(01:23:55):
fans once again, and they pull off an upset win
over the Browns. Give me the Saints for back to
back weeks. For VJ brows big for my second dog.

Speaker 4 (01:24:06):
I'll tell you this, there is only a handful of
dogs that are even I mean, we talk about dog
got flees. This is a nasty, nasty week. I'm going
ahead though, with my second dog. I'm taking what essentially
is a retirement strategy Mike Tomlin as a short underdog.
Give me the Pittsburgh Tailors to go and beat the
Baltimore Ravens. I'll tell you this, Baltimore Ravens defense is horrible.

(01:24:29):
It's horrendous. Throw it in the trash. That's where I'm
at with the Ravens in terms of everything like that.
It will be a high scoring game, but I think Baltimore,
I'm sorry, I think Pittsburgh's able to possess the ball longer,
in turn scoring the game winning points.

Speaker 5 (01:24:44):
The laugh one for me is really easy. There's a
few we could really go to, but this one I
think is a lot too.

Speaker 2 (01:24:50):
Man.

Speaker 5 (01:24:51):
My man said he was a little tired, he needed
a break. I understood it, but I also understood that
you can't.

Speaker 4 (01:24:55):
Say that you can't go out, and you can't go
out and do that in the game.

Speaker 5 (01:24:59):
You are quarterback. You're not a receiver. You're not a
running back. You're not a point guard. You're not a sinner.
You're not someone on the ice playing hockey, not a left.

Speaker 2 (01:25:05):
Winger, right winger. You are the cornerback.

Speaker 4 (01:25:08):
The one thing you cannot do is be tired, even
when you're tired, because you're the guy.

Speaker 5 (01:25:13):
You're the one running the ship. I think Anthony Richardson
learned a very valuable lesson. I think it shows up tomorrow.
We already know about these bum ass jets.

Speaker 4 (01:25:21):
I've been telling you all about these bum ass jets,
and I'm gonna keep telling you about them bum ass jets.

Speaker 5 (01:25:26):
I was one hundred percent right on this team. I
told you this season would fall apart. They weren't making
the playoff. They weren't even gonna be five hundred. They
are three and seven and they're going to get embarrassed
tomorrow at home. Anthony Richardson makes enough scramble play runs,
they run the ball enough with the with the all
running game, offensive line blocks well, powers them to a

(01:25:46):
close victory in the colde in the wet tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (01:25:49):
Give me the.

Speaker 4 (01:25:50):
Coats on the road plus four to put the final
coffin and send them three and eight bum ass Jets
railing into the rest.

Speaker 2 (01:25:58):
Of the season and into the offseason.

Speaker 4 (01:26:00):
That's how I called it. There has been four instances
in the last calendar year.

Speaker 3 (01:26:09):
In which this team has been an underdog.

Speaker 4 (01:26:11):
Since then, they've been dj khaled.

Speaker 2 (01:26:13):
All they do is win.

Speaker 4 (01:26:14):
I know you like that, Mary Mack. Give me the
Kansas City Chiefs plus two, I mean underdogs against the
two they play the playoffs. Ye Buffalo, beat them underdogs
against the Ravens.

Speaker 2 (01:26:25):
Beat them underdogs against San Francisco in the Super Bowl.
Beat them underdogs again in Week six against San Francisco.

Speaker 4 (01:26:31):
Beat them underdogs in Week eleven against the Bill's two points.
That's insurance. Give give me the Kansas City Chiefs my
last dog. Let's go ahead transition into regular picks.

Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
All right, So a little score update for week ten.
Martin three and two VJ four and one, So Roling VJ. Roland.
But you won both of the games this week. Congratulations
on that. The overall score update Martin twenty six and
twenty two, Yeah VJ. Twenty nine and nineteen. That's what's ye,
that's what I'm talking about. Still very close now, twenty
nine and nineteen sounds a lot. That sounds good, it does.

(01:27:06):
All right, Well, let's get into this week's games. We're
gonna start with a really fun one because the spread
in the Lions versus Jaguars game right fourteen points, right,
So that makes the pick a little bit more interesting
because obviously the Lions are better than the Jaguars. Not
not really up for debate there, But do we think
that they keep it within fourteen points? What do we think?

Speaker 3 (01:27:28):
Absolutely not.

Speaker 5 (01:27:31):
They are going to get their ass whooped tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (01:27:35):
The Lions are back at home. Coming off of that,
come nineteen on air to scored against the Texas at
home over on.

Speaker 5 (01:27:42):
A forty six and a half. Ladies and gentlemen, lay
your money there. They are gonna be indoors and avoid
all the bad weather coming through that part.

Speaker 3 (01:27:49):
Of the country. It's gonna be nice and.

Speaker 5 (01:27:51):
Cozy in about probably seventy seventy two degrees.

Speaker 4 (01:27:53):
When they said that Thermos stuff franc side those stadiums, they.

Speaker 5 (01:27:56):
Are going to roll Jacksonville. I think Jacksonville could play
tough early. Put just two many weapons, too much firepower
on this Lion's team, and coming off on a road
against the Packers, and they coming off of the road
against the Texas. They coming back home now, bro oh,
it's on tomorrow, Detroit, party toime.

Speaker 3 (01:28:14):
They might win this by twenty. Give me the lines
and they cover.

Speaker 4 (01:28:18):
The Jaguars are one in six in regular season one
score game so far this year. That's that will not matter,
because the Lions are gonna beat the livid hell out
of jackson It is going to be an ass whooping.
Matt Jones turned the ball over three times in the
red zone, had like one hundred and fifty yards passing
last week and they only lost by five. That's because

(01:28:41):
Sam Donald was the other quarterback. Thank you, let me
tell you something right here, right now. David Montgomery left,
Jamir Gibbs right up the middle for the both of them.

Speaker 3 (01:28:50):
They are going to run on this team all night.

Speaker 4 (01:28:53):
This is one of those that Doug p is sitting
up right right now, literally right now at ten ten Eastern,
sitting up staring at the ceiling, like, am I gonna
have a job in twenty four hours?

Speaker 5 (01:29:02):
It's because it's gonna be that bad. Quick prop bete
if I can't fit this one. Brian Branch touchdown tomorrow,
Brian Branch touchdown to touch six or touch down the
fumble pick up scoops, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (01:29:12):
Brian Branch scores tomorrow. Mark it down all right. Next up,
Chargers versus the Bengals. The Chargers are favored by a
point and a half. What do we think it's easy
for me?

Speaker 4 (01:29:23):
Man?

Speaker 5 (01:29:23):
I like this team right now, man being able to
see him up close to personal. I told you guys
a few weeks ago, I do. I love the energy.
Hardball's my guy. He is is no big secret, but
I just love what he stands for football. I love
the way he coaches the team. He's old school football
and wherever he goes it turns around pretty quickly, guys.
And this is gonna be no if it was a
Cincinnati I would feel really different about this game. But
it's at home tomorrow, in the comfortable confines of sofar

(01:29:45):
NBC Night Game tomorrow, the world watching two top flight
quarterbacks going at it.

Speaker 3 (01:29:50):
Give me the Charges to pull this one.

Speaker 4 (01:29:51):
Off and cover.

Speaker 3 (01:29:52):
I'm taking the Bengals here.

Speaker 4 (01:29:54):
This will likely be the last time I take the
Bengals if they don't win this game. Cuz, I mean,
Chargers defense has done a great job making bad quarterbacks
stay bad, which is look worse. That sounds like a
dis insult, it's not because some of these defenses will
have Gardner Mitschew looking like Joe Montama. Yeah all right,
so on the lefts right, I'll take the Bengals here

(01:30:14):
because I think they I'll score the Los Angeles Chargers.

Speaker 2 (01:30:17):
All right, Martin's taking the Bengals vj the Chargers. Next,
we're moving on to the Broncos, who were minus two
versus the Falcons, so favored by two points. What do
we think? I think everyone knows I'm picking.

Speaker 3 (01:30:27):
Yeah, I'm gonna surprise Martin on this one. I've already
got my picks.

Speaker 2 (01:30:30):
Highlight.

Speaker 5 (01:30:30):
I've already picked my games this week. I'm going with
the Broncos on this. Welcome to the right side of history.
The Broncos. The Broncos are. They're impressing me. Last week
showed it. I watched all that game. I watched every
snap of that game.

Speaker 2 (01:30:40):
Last week.

Speaker 5 (01:30:41):
The Broncos are impressing me. Man, dude, Sean Payne is
starting to put his stamp on the team. You gotta
get rid of some guys. You gotta get some guys
in that that buy into your culture. They're buying into
his culture. The defense is playing great. I still like
the Falcons that sent the six and four. They're good
football team, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. But tomorrow
at Mile High Little you normally play indoors in the South.

(01:31:02):
Now you got to go to Malhan playing some weather.
Hard to breathe up there. I think the defense keis
is a low scoring game. Give me under on the
forty four and a half on this, I think defense
was this game tomorrow, Give me the Broncos and I
think they cover this two and a half. I like
a field goal, so it covers the two and a half.
I'm taking the Broncos as well. If this was three
and a half, I'd be on the Falcons. But the
number is almost all the time. All that matters when

(01:31:23):
you're talking about this type of thing. Give me the
Denver Broncos right here.

Speaker 4 (01:31:27):
They had a game last week that teams either fold
or rally from that's the type of moment that they had.

Speaker 2 (01:31:32):
No ray.

Speaker 4 (01:31:33):
From what I've heard from everything coming out of Denver
sounds like a rally.

Speaker 5 (01:31:37):
All right, your coach is not gonna let them fall down, exactly.
The champion's not gonna let them fow.

Speaker 4 (01:31:41):
The Falcons allow the highest completion percentage to opposing quarterbacks
in the league, seventy percent. You can graduate from college
gradual with seventy percent.

Speaker 3 (01:31:50):
Yeah, it's true, it's true. And trust me, I know this.
I was there.

Speaker 4 (01:31:54):
Bo Knicks will be able to move the ball on
the Falcons in the way he hasn't been able to
against better defenses.

Speaker 2 (01:31:59):
Give me Denver in this matchup.

Speaker 3 (01:32:01):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:32:02):
Next up, the Seattle Seahawks are traveling to San Francisco
to take on the forty nine Ers. Not really to
San Francisco, it's Santa Clara. It's like an hour away,
but anyway, forty nine Ers are favored by six and
a half points, and that's geography with Ian Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:32:16):
Uh, easy for me.

Speaker 5 (01:32:17):
Ninas covered is they got coot, they got Listen, they
got the guy back. That's all. That's what you need
in football. You need your guy, and they got their
guy back. Seattle, they've they've been a fifty to fifty
team this year. We all thought that we didn't know
we were getting out of them. I think Gino's run
his course, you know, proud of the way he's stuck
in the league. With thirteen fourteen years he's been in
the NFL, got a good contract, made his money. But

(01:32:37):
we're kind of seeing, you know, who he is. Running
game hasn't been what it's been it should have been.
And DJ and DJ DK metcalf Excuse me, I said
when he was coming out of college, when he first exploded,
he's a one trick pony. He runs like two or
three routes. It mostly yakin D balls. He's not a
complete receiver and it's starting to really show up there.
Give me San Francisco to start to kind of get
their wheels going. Sitting at five and four right now,

(01:32:58):
I think they covered as comfortably. Tomorrow I touchdown on more.

Speaker 4 (01:33:00):
I now this may be me trying to reaffirm my
priors before I need to. I thought San Francisco had
a great shot to miss the playoffs this year. I
think this is a one team of one big division,
essentially in the NFC West. It might just be me
just like locking in on what I thought before. Give

(01:33:22):
me the Seahawks here. Here's a couple actual, tangible reasons
why besides this, I feel like it all right. Abraham Lucas, Bira,
Murphy Reek Wall, and Ernest Jones, the fourth all gonna
play in this game, all did not play. Within his
last matchup, Deebo Samuel Will had a seventy five yard
touchdown run that was the result of the worst angle
I've ever seen a safety take by Julian Love is

(01:33:44):
his name. I don't think that happens again in this game.
San Francisco, to me, is on the teetering of I mean,
Deebo pushed the long snapper last week, their kicker missed
three field goals, and I get he made the game winner,
but I got John Lynch telling me, and not telling me,
but telling the media that, oh, we never thought about
making a change. Yeah right, almost cursed. No way, you

(01:34:05):
didn't think about making a change. After he missed three
field goals on the offense, that you can't score points.
Give me Seattle just because Seattle's vibes. They gotta get
better after a bye week. I like Seattle.

Speaker 2 (01:34:15):
Here.

Speaker 3 (01:34:15):
All right, we'll put an.

Speaker 5 (01:34:16):
Ass next to this game, cause I want to see
if the feel like competes with all the information.

Speaker 3 (01:34:21):
Put an asterisk next to this game for us next week.
All right, we'll do, we'll do.

Speaker 2 (01:34:25):
We're gonna finish off with the Houston Texans going to
Dallas to face the Cowboys on Monday night football. Might
I add Houston's favored by seven and a half.

Speaker 4 (01:34:36):
Yeah, we first. Which will be better the fight Friday
or the fights on Friday or the football game Sunday Monday.

Speaker 2 (01:34:45):
That's a great question.

Speaker 5 (01:34:46):
The fight now, I've heard fight. Yeah, I heard this
last night. So it's the fight I'm taking. The fights
are great. Taylor's gonna be better than anything we watch
Cooper Rush and c J.

Speaker 4 (01:34:55):
Shupard.

Speaker 5 (01:34:55):
Let's not forget. Barrios and Ramos went down last night.
Bars and Ramos went two Mexican War. They said it
not me, guy, I said, don't say I'm being being funny.

Speaker 2 (01:35:04):
Two Mexican Warriors.

Speaker 3 (01:35:05):
Hey, then you had the Indian dude who was like.

Speaker 4 (01:35:08):
Rope, So I clear fight for better, be better than
this game. Vijay who covers? Man? You know what I'm
I'm I'm I feel like I got a little room
to play. Give me Dallas to cover. Yuck, give me,
give me Dallas the cover. Give me give me Dallas
at home. Give me Dallas at home to cover. Michael
was at the fight last night, so he better show

(01:35:28):
and he's been running his mouth. He better show up
Monday night. I'm putting this on Michael Parsons. Michael Parson
has a big game. Give me Dallas the cover. Uh,
no way, am I taking the Dallas Cowboards to cover.

Speaker 3 (01:35:39):
This is the thing.

Speaker 4 (01:35:40):
Though Texans have not scored a second half touchdown and
four straight games. You know what the recipe to get better?
For that is my diagnosis the Dallas Cowboys defense. All
I think that the Houston Texas go ahead and if
I wish it was seven, so bad, give me this
seven and a half. Though. This is I'll say this
if you're into this type of stuff, This and Miami
are incredible teaser legs. Incredible teaser legs.

Speaker 5 (01:36:03):
Yeah, the Dolphins at seven though, you're not taking out
hell no, give me Dolphins to cover.

Speaker 3 (01:36:09):
Just just just he's gone down.

Speaker 4 (01:36:12):
I have a point though, with with Houston down to one,
That's what I'm saying. Coming up next though, this matchup
one of the heavyweight matchups in the NFL the last
few years. Both teams in great positions. I think one's
got more to lose though. This could be one of
those things that you look back and be like, damn,

(01:36:33):
that's where our season went off the rails right there.
In week eleven. I'll unveil it next. Martin Wis VJA
Husky Fox Sports Radio coming to you live from the
Tireck dot Com studios. Martin Wis's VJA Husky. You can
get us on Twitter. I'm at Martin Weiss VJ is
at Big Vanilla Funny. We'll get to some of your
tweets you out the show. Our homeboy, little Chewie Rent Cone.

(01:36:54):
I just turned thirty one. Why do I get no love?
Happy birthday, Buddy, Happy Birnby birthday.

Speaker 2 (01:37:00):
Bro. We didn't we didn't. We didn't know.

Speaker 3 (01:37:02):
Man, don't come out as like we ain't know.

Speaker 4 (01:37:04):
B Benny from Australia, Mate says the hiring and firing
problem in the NFL to a direct correlation with the
player development problem.

Speaker 2 (01:37:12):
See Benny.

Speaker 4 (01:37:13):
I agree. The problem is nobody feels like they have
the job security to make tough decisions. Shane steiken let's
talk about this for a second here. Should think Shane
Stikeen made the decision to go back to Anthony Richardson?

Speaker 3 (01:37:28):
No, because I don't know that's a.

Speaker 4 (01:37:31):
Call from Jim Irsay who said, Shane, would you like
a job next week? Okay, start the guy we drafted fourth?
Start him. Joe Flacco should be driving carpool. Start the
guy who's who we drafted forth. But see that's a
problem though, that's a point, Like you said, you're you
can't you can't be afraid to just do what's right
when you're a coach.

Speaker 2 (01:37:50):
I like real talk.

Speaker 3 (01:37:51):
I ran into this coach in high school football this year.

Speaker 5 (01:37:53):
Like I'm I'm generations honestly removed from other young kids
of this this agent generation.

Speaker 4 (01:37:58):
It's when you're a pro coach. Can you imagine having
multi millionaires with power? I have fourteen and fifteen year
olds with power that could go tell mommy and all
of that good stuff and so it's in.

Speaker 3 (01:38:08):
It's on a pro level. So no, it was a
call from up top, definitely.

Speaker 2 (01:38:11):
Man.

Speaker 4 (01:38:12):
Yeah, See that's like between that and you have to
have the equity built up or or you have to
have be very desired. If Jim Harball wanted to make
a move that would be controversial, he's got the power
to do so. You know why, because he got that
fat ass contract. Sean Payton want to go ahead and
essentially cut the quarterback eighty.

Speaker 2 (01:38:32):
Five million dollar dead cap?

Speaker 4 (01:38:34):
Hit?

Speaker 3 (01:38:34):
What Sean do you think?

Speaker 2 (01:38:36):
Baby?

Speaker 4 (01:38:36):
You know why because you got six more years guaranteed. Yeah,
I'll have the time to figure this out. But he's
also on a super Bowl. He's also he was in
high demand. That's what I'm on. He was Mike Tomlin.
You want Mike Tomlin, you're undefeated, our four and one,
you're gonna bencher starter. He's like, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (01:38:54):
Hell yeah, but bench to bench him though we saw
this coming.

Speaker 4 (01:38:58):
He just justin Fields had a four to one or
four to two record at the time. They told me
they But but you can't tell me that a coach
who was in Like I'm trying to think of a
good example. The coach was in a shaky spot. Doug Peterson,
for example, if Doug Peterson did that and it didn't
Doug Peterson wouldn't have the ability to do that cause

(01:39:20):
you be scared.

Speaker 2 (01:39:21):
You don't lose his job it doesn't work. That's crazy.
Do you know what I'm saying?

Speaker 4 (01:39:24):
Like Mike tom if this didn't work and Mike Tomlin
want have decided to go back to Justin Fields, you
think he's gonna lose his job if they finished with it,
you know, eight and nine something like that.

Speaker 3 (01:39:32):
Probably not if Jeans fans will be mad.

Speaker 5 (01:39:35):
At Britton Brody if I can't. I like this one
right here at Man why he's a big vanilla funny
lock of the week Dolphins over the Raiders until the
Raiders show me.

Speaker 2 (01:39:41):
He's a Raider fan.

Speaker 5 (01:39:42):
To the Raiders show me they're competent and their opponent,
Comedy Morriing apponement each week.

Speaker 2 (01:39:46):
This is my lock.

Speaker 3 (01:39:47):
The only way he could keep it closed.

Speaker 5 (01:39:49):
If they've turnovers, I got you, yeah, if they if
the turners are still genius, which I don't see happening.
Dolphins forty one to twenty. I liked that score.

Speaker 4 (01:39:58):
I think even if it's nor Scott or whoever the
hell they're is a coordinator is some genius, like it's
just something for them. Man, what happened there? Because we
were high on those guys. We are, you know, Piers
getting this job.

Speaker 5 (01:40:11):
Everybody, No one wants to come out and go therehere wrong,
but we could kind of see going into the season.
We sat here on the show and said DeVante he's
gonna win out because they're gonna be bad. But people
are still kind of holding on today, where's the guy?

Speaker 4 (01:40:23):
You know? What happened Flatley? Like all these things, Maybe
AP's not the right guy. Maybe there's maybe that they
went into the season with Gardner Minshewing had no commons
as options one and two or two and one.

Speaker 2 (01:40:37):
That boils it down for you.

Speaker 3 (01:40:39):
Doesn't Gardner start tomorrow?

Speaker 2 (01:40:41):
Yeah? I think so.

Speaker 5 (01:40:42):
Whoy the Dolphins front seven cares.

Speaker 4 (01:40:47):
I guarantee you they care. They gonna eat his ass
a lie. The only two people that care who the
Vegas is starting tomorrow was Brendan Brody and Chop Robinson.

Speaker 2 (01:40:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:40:57):
Absolutely, man, but looked very good the last few weeks.

Speaker 5 (01:41:00):
It's taking him, it's taking it's taking a wall though
he's he's kind of getting to it. But having a
guy like kalay Is Campbell is really really helping him
out though. But happy birthday, little Chewie. We you know
we love you, man. You give us a lot of love.
We didn't know what's your birthday? You gotta tell us, Homy,
happy thirty first birthday. You look forty five. Now I'm joking.

Speaker 4 (01:41:17):
I'm joking, man, all the bottom molllels you take pictures
with today, give you nothing but smiles in return, a
little chewy even code.

Speaker 2 (01:41:25):
Okay, what I thought I thought you thought.

Speaker 5 (01:41:27):
I thought you were going I thought you were about
to be dangerous. I'm waiting for dangerous, Martin. I thought
there's going to be dangerous right there.

Speaker 4 (01:41:32):

is legacy?

Speaker 2 (01:42:00):
What a legacy? You didn't die?

Speaker 3 (01:42:02):
Maybe you did right?

Speaker 2 (01:42:03):
Right? Yo? He said that to that little girl. That
was the funniest thing.

Speaker 3 (01:42:06):
But why would you say that to this little girl?

Speaker 4 (01:42:09):
Okay, why would you say that to her?

Speaker 3 (01:42:11):
We will address that in just a moore because we
do have to.

Speaker 4 (01:42:13):
Handle a bit of business. There's all types of college
football stuff going on right now. Let's go ahead, kick.

Speaker 3 (01:42:18):
It over to Steve the Sacred. I will answer that
very question.

Speaker 10 (01:42:22):
I believe a person with social moores might not say
that to the little girl.

Speaker 2 (01:42:26):
What do you think? I'm not feel That's exactly what
I'm saying. Nothing you die.

Speaker 10 (01:42:32):
Let's get to college football score mores, shall we? Number

Speaker 4 (01:45:24):
Back to you. Thanks Steve Martin BJ coming to you
live from the tirerac dot com studios. Did you hear
what he says? Yeah? I heard everything.

Speaker 2 (01:45:33):
Yeah, excit to talk about it.

Speaker 4 (01:45:35):
Gab gabbing here.

Speaker 2 (01:45:37):
I'm just looking at the Fox Sports Radio Twitter account
right now, looking at who's tweeted at us, and truck
stop Fungus asked us a stop with the dogs barking.
You have mind going insane, So I'm changing the station, meatheads. Well,
first of all, sorry, truck stop fungus. Yeah, truck stop stop,
truck stop fungus. Yeah, what a Twitter name? So eight

(01:46:00):
probably and I can see I'm picturing him a guy
that's got probably.

Speaker 5 (01:46:03):
Big dogs too, right, you can you can see him
big dogs. He's got a he's got a plaid flannel
on right now. He must have his radio turned up
pretty high in a trucker hat.

Speaker 2 (01:46:12):
Right, he's got a big beard.

Speaker 6 (01:46:13):
Right.

Speaker 4 (01:46:13):
I got him.

Speaker 5 (01:46:14):
Picturing this guy and is and our dogs are making
his dogs go crazy. And the in fact he called
does meat what is that mark?

Speaker 4 (01:46:20):
What is a meat? Meathead?

Speaker 2 (01:46:21):
What's a meathead?

Speaker 4 (01:46:22):
It's a euphemism for saying somebody is not very smart?

Speaker 2 (01:46:25):
Really, is that what that means? Remember Inn eight mile?
He's like, did you listen to the last round?

Speaker 3 (01:46:29):
Meathead? Yo, we're smart, saying the same stuff that he said.

Speaker 2 (01:46:32):
Oh yeah, that's right.

Speaker 3 (01:46:34):
I am white. Now do live in a book the
house with my mom?

Speaker 4 (01:46:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:46:38):
Over a friend nd Bob and shot himself in a leg.

Speaker 2 (01:46:41):
Now what.

Speaker 4 (01:46:43):
It's a valid strategy. Honestly, you can disarm the person
who's about to attack verbally attack you with all the info.

Speaker 3 (01:46:51):
Yeah, it'd be like uh.

Speaker 5 (01:46:53):
Yeah, like beat beat It's like a comedy. You beat
the hecklits at a punch.

Speaker 4 (01:46:58):
I'll just it's like it's like when dan Quinn comes
out without being prompted, says yeah, that fourth down call
was a tough call, that's what That's what it's like. Yeah,
a bold called. We just didn't love the execute. Yeah, sure, pal, sure.
Speaking of execution, I met executing the interview, not like

(01:47:22):
actual you know, lethal in Jackson execution. Talking about this, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:47:27):
It could have been.

Speaker 4 (01:47:29):
I met executing the interview. Here here's Mike Tyson with
I believe her name is Jazzy. She is like any
I've heard anywhere from eight to twelve.

Speaker 11 (01:47:39):
I think she's like twelve.

Speaker 4 (01:47:40):
I got her at about eleven or twelve. She looks
she's not older than twe looks very young and is
doing an interview with Mike Tyson. You probably saw this.
We're gonna play just a little bit of a justedcase
you didn't. But here's what this was before she asked
him about this legacy.

Speaker 12 (01:47:54):
Well, and you return to the ring for this fight.
You are setting a monumental opportunity for kids my age
to see the legend Mike Tyson in the ring for
the first time. So, after such a successful career, what
type of legacy would you like to leave behind when
it's all said and done.

Speaker 13 (01:48:09):
No, I don't believe in the word legacy. I think
that's another word for ego. Legacy doesn't mean nothing. That's
just some word everybody grabbed on to. Someone said that word,
and everyone grabbed on the words. So I was used
every five seconds. It means absolutely nothing to me. I'm
just passing through. I'm gonna die and it's gonna be over.
Who cared about legacy after that?

Speaker 4 (01:48:29):
Okay, So the conversation was all ranging from how funny
is this too? This is kind of sad? I was
actually kind of like, this is kind of this is
kind of a sad, you know, state of affairs. Like
I feel where you're coming from. But you definitely have
left some legacy behind you. Mike, I said, good or
bad are a different But what was your what was

(01:48:49):
your taking you? Jack? I?

Speaker 5 (01:48:50):
Because Mike Tyson, for people that I've told this before,
I said on the show, so he's my bucket list interview.
He's the one guy that Cavino Rich owe me a
trip to his house in Vegas. They've gone to his
house to do an interview with Mike Tyson. You guys
owe me that if you hear this, you told me
two years ago, you take me. But if you have
to just know Mike Tyson I've watched every interview, every
documentary thing he's ever been done by him, every movie,

(01:49:12):
every I've watched everything about Mike Tyson. He's that guy
for me from my era of like I wasn't afraid
of the Boogeyman. I wasn't afraid of Freddy and Jason
and Michael Myers. I wasn't afraid of those guys. I
was terrified of Mike Tyson because of just the energy
of what he displayed in the ring and just over
his life and his career and everything from Robin Gibbons

(01:49:33):
to Tokyo to Bust the Douglass, to Indiana to prison
to coming back to the Holy Feel, just everything about
the man. I went and watched this one man stand
up comedy show live like I went to watch that.
The reason why he's speaking the way he's speaking is
because he's lived the life he's lived.

Speaker 3 (01:49:49):
Now.

Speaker 5 (01:49:50):
The funny part to me is it's not because he
said it, not because he said it, it's the fact
that he is just genuinely who he is, regardless of
who he's talking to.

Speaker 4 (01:50:00):
He's in his mind.

Speaker 3 (01:50:01):
He's not thinking I shouldn't say this to this little girl.

Speaker 2 (01:50:04):
He's just saying, no, I'm passing on something.

Speaker 3 (01:50:07):
Don't worry about your legacy because it is kind of true.
You're gonna be dead and gone.

Speaker 4 (01:50:11):
You're not gonna know what they're told doing about your
legacy anyway once you're gone. So I get where he's
coming from.

Speaker 5 (01:50:16):
You just have to understand his travels man to get
to where he is where. Like you said, Mark, he's
he's an American icon as far as sports goes.

Speaker 3 (01:50:24):
He's been to the high of highs and he's been
to the low of lows. And you just said it yourself,
like it or not.

Speaker 5 (01:50:30):
Are indifferent that the legacy talk is gonna depend on
who you're talking to, So what do you even care
about a legacy? Because if people don't like you, they're
gonna say all the bad stuff. People that did like you,
they're gonna say all the good stuff. And if people
are in the middle, probably aren't gonna care as much anyway.
So that's that's what I took from it.

Speaker 2 (01:50:45):
Last thing.

Speaker 5 (01:50:46):
Real quick, if you watch the docu series To Think
on Netflix, he does something where he's in his store
with his daughter, and you know, you could scoop up
candy and put it in the bag in some of
those kind of stores where he's in one that you know,
some of those have like a a piece of brownie
or a piece of cake, or like a reci cover
so that you can only scoop up a few. He
just wants to buy one, and the lady's like, well,
you can put it in your bag, and his daughter's
trying to tell him.

Speaker 3 (01:51:06):
Dad just putting it back. He's like, no, I just
want this one. I just want to try this one.

Speaker 2 (01:51:09):
She goes, try it Mark.

Speaker 4 (01:51:10):
He does this, He takes it with the school and
dumps it in his mouth and he puts it back
in a thing. His daughter goes, oh Dad, he goes
what He goes, you put that to your mouth and
put that back anything? He goes, you know how much profitable?
I just made that little thing right there and walked out.

Speaker 2 (01:51:26):
Bro. That's how Mike Tyson thinks.

Speaker 3 (01:51:29):
So I did some research on Jazzy World.

Speaker 1 (01:51:32):
Here.

Speaker 2 (01:51:32):
Real name Jasmine Gara.

Speaker 3 (01:51:34):
Very well to Rob Well, she's fourteen.

Speaker 4 (01:51:38):
Oh wow, wow, she's okay, very small.

Speaker 8 (01:51:43):
Mike Tyson retired in two thousand and five, so she's
not even man.

Speaker 4 (01:51:48):
She's so the thing with me is like, shot this
interview and everybody, look at what Tyson said to.

Speaker 2 (01:51:53):
This little kid. This might be a hot take.

Speaker 3 (01:51:58):
Go oh, don't oh, this.

Speaker 2 (01:52:00):
Might be a little god don't know, dangerous.

Speaker 3 (01:52:03):
Martin, Why is a fourteen year old interviewing Mike Tyson?

Speaker 2 (01:52:07):
Agreed, like, I understand that.

Speaker 4 (01:52:12):
The entirety of this is kind of silly and in circus,
like with the whole Tyson Paul in.

Speaker 3 (01:52:19):
General, they should know how But why is a.

Speaker 4 (01:52:21):
Fourteen year old kid interviewing Mike Tyson? Where are the parents?
I mean, I would not let the I mean this sincerely.
If I had a child, I would not let my
child near Mike Tyson, Like I don't know if he's
gonna do something crazy, Buddy, I put it to you
like this, if you read a story in the next
three months that said Mike Tyson punches fifteen year old

(01:52:43):
kid in the head, would you be surprised?

Speaker 3 (01:52:47):
I don't know, though, because Mike I wantn't you be surprised?

Speaker 2 (01:52:50):
Mary mac would you be surprised? I wouldn't have lucky,
I wouldn't. I would would you read that story? No?

Speaker 4 (01:52:57):
Look, because you would ask you what you would ask
I know exactly what VJ would ask, Well, what did
the fifteen year old kid do?

Speaker 8 (01:53:03):
But he literally, he literally went viral for like picking
up hasbula because he thought that he was a three
year old is.

Speaker 2 (01:53:11):
Like nineteen or twenty. Yeah, so the video he's like
giving them kisses exactly puts that bro. That's Mike Tyson.

Speaker 8 (01:53:19):
Saying, I would be surprised if he did punch the
fifteen year old.

Speaker 3 (01:53:22):
I really would not know.

Speaker 5 (01:53:24):
Only no, only I would be surprised at this point
in his life. Yes, now if you asking me this twenty.

Speaker 4 (01:53:28):
Five years ago, absolutely pushed somebody on the airplane like
six months ago.

Speaker 3 (01:53:34):
Oh the god, that was another grown man being the
a hole.

Speaker 2 (01:53:36):
That was another grown man being then a hole.

Speaker 3 (01:53:38):
All I'm saying he deserved to get punched by Mike
Tyson and that.

Speaker 4 (01:53:41):
But what I'm saying is, imagine if it was a
fifteen When I was fifteen years old, I was six one,
one hundred and eighty five pounds.

Speaker 5 (01:53:48):
I looked like a grown man like Sherios. Would you
to talk trash to Mike Tyson?

Speaker 2 (01:53:52):
Though? No, but I'm not kidding that I wouldn't talk.
I'm not gonna talk trashing Mike Tyson at thirty five
nobody was still talking.

Speaker 4 (01:53:57):
Mike trash to Mike Tyson and he's fifty eight unless
you're paying him twenty million dollars. In the fact that the matter.

Speaker 11 (01:54:01):
Is, I'm not gonna lie on some of these kids
these days.

Speaker 2 (01:54:04):
Are wouldn't do it.

Speaker 4 (01:54:05):
The fact what do is if that story came out,
nobody would blink twice, nobody would be surprised, and everybody'd
be like, oh man, here he goes again.

Speaker 2 (01:54:14):
Right about me?

Speaker 3 (01:54:15):
Though I want to do year old day, I would not.

Speaker 2 (01:54:17):
What do you do? I would have like I just
I remember how.

Speaker 8 (01:54:20):
To give him the same pass like Kanye low key too,
I wouldn't.

Speaker 5 (01:54:24):
Yeah, you know who's not babysitting. Might imagine every kids
Kanye West, Yeah, I give it, Kanye. I I'm with you, Mary. Yeah,
he gets a past. Me, he gets pass. Me been
through a lot. They only been through a lot. Only
people getting passes are wide receivers.

Speaker 3 (01:54:40):
You don't give a pass to anybody. No, you don't
have anybody that you.

Speaker 4 (01:54:43):
Look at when it's all said and downe I think
you line up all the good, you line up all
the bad, and that's what it ends up being.

Speaker 11 (01:54:50):
But there are some people you got to get some
passes to.

Speaker 5 (01:54:53):
No, that guy in the plane deserves to be you
go back and watch the video. He deserved to be punched.
It would be an a hole you're being You're being
a any trying Mike Tyson because he thinks he's old
Mike Tyson and Mike's got to show him again. You
guys need to go watch the interview he does with
Sugar Ray Linter. You guys need to go on you get.

Speaker 4 (01:55:10):
A chance, just go watch the interview, Go watch the
podcast episode with him is Sugarray Linter, and listen to
what Mike Tyson saying. I'll say this though, saw something
over the last few days incredibly concerning and honestly is
something that the rest of the.

Speaker 2 (01:55:25):
Nation was up in arms about. Oh my god, can
you believe this is happening?

Speaker 4 (01:55:28):
Well, now Martin has finally arrived. I have finally arrived
at the same location as everybody else. I'll let you know.
Coming up in just a bit, Martin whits vicha Husky,
Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports.

Speaker 3 (01:55:39):
Football, Saturn. I'll tell you what.

Speaker 4 (01:55:43):
Oregon is doing everything in their power to try to
make this game closer than it needs to be. Failed
on a fourth down conversion that instead of kicking a
field goal that would have made it a six point
game instead of a three point game. Understand that now
was third and eighteen. Wisconsin's going to get the ball
back with about thirty seconds left. If everything remains the
same as it is, Wisconsin and will have an opportunity

(01:56:06):
to drive. They do have no timeouts remaining, so it's
just an interesting thing to talk about with the number
one team in the nation. Steve the Seger will update
you on the end result of this sixteen thirteen contest
between the Oregon Ducks and the Wisconsin Badgers at the
top of the hour. And then you got Jason Martin,
Aaron Torres, the best college football recap show in America
coming up right after this VJA.

Speaker 3 (01:56:28):
First, I'm here, man, I.

Speaker 4 (01:56:30):
Might just be here. I need to hear a little
bit more, but I might be here because when I
heard that Brandy James wasn't going to travel with the
G League team, my antenna went up. I said, Okay,
maybe this might be a problem because drafted didn't care.
All the rest of that didn't care. I didn't care
about noting any of that. The only way it's not
the only way it's not a problem for me. I
need to hear out of the Lakers organization that the

(01:56:51):
reason he will not be traveling is because he's working
on his game at home. That's what I need to
see and like maybe.

Speaker 3 (01:56:58):
Even see it a little bit.

Speaker 4 (01:57:00):
He's some social media of Bronnie getting some jump shots
up with whoever the Lakers assistant coach is passing the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:57:06):
I know you had to take on this.

Speaker 5 (01:57:08):
I did, but honestly, man, at this point, and what
are you gonna do? Man, Lebron's got totally I tried
to say this before over the summertime.

Speaker 2 (01:57:16):
He's he's pulling.

Speaker 5 (01:57:17):
On the strings here, and I can't hate because it's
his son and he wants he's gonna do it what
he feels like. He's the best interest of his son.
I guess it would be embarrassing for him to have
to travel with the team or whatever. I mean, you
can just do like Jordan did when he was with
the Barons. Jordan actually bought a bus and and up
to travel for the team. Like, if you're Lebron bro
up to travel for for the SouthBay team, Like, but
let your son go be better?

Speaker 2 (01:57:38):
If that's what this is really about so so.

Speaker 4 (01:57:40):
That's what I like, you man, I don't know if
playing depending on how much work he can get in
and one day as opposed to traveling somewhere. That's where
I'm like, let's see, that'll be yet to be determined.
But what's not yet to be determined? VJ.

Speaker 2 (01:57:51):
You know we'd like to do.

Speaker 4 (01:57:52):
I'd like to tell the future.

Speaker 2 (01:57:53):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (01:57:55):
By this time next week, do we have it?

Speaker 2 (01:57:57):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:57:57):
There we go, all right, VJ. I'll start out.

Speaker 4 (01:57:59):
By by this time next week, we will be wondering, hmm,
will the interim coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars be able
to turn this thing around? For at least one week
Doug Peterson does not survive.

Speaker 5 (01:58:11):
By this time next week, the Killn Cavaliers will be
seventeen to oh five and seven Charlotte at Boston eleven three,
big matchup, four and ten pounds by this week. By
