Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports for.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Greetings and welcome into a beautiful Fox Sports Saturday. We've
got action all over the place. We got Euro twenty
twenty four up and going. I've got some bowling on
one monitor. We got racing. We got Clash at the
Castle coming up in about two hours from now. That's right,
WWE event in Scotland. We got a threatened retirement and
(00:25):
yes we will have more basketball.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
So much going on. Welcome in.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
I'm Mike Carmon alongside my guy Ryan Hollins, as we
broadcast live from the Tirac dot com studios. Tire rack
dot com will help you get there an unmatched selection,
fast free shipping, free road hazard protection and over ten
thousand recommended installers. Tirac dot com the way tire buying
should be, Ryan Hollis, did you really get was it
(00:50):
a restless night knowing that you'd have to get right
back up and talk to me again after joining our
show last night with Smith?
Speaker 3 (00:58):
No man, not at all restless?
Speaker 2 (01:00):
This guy again? My goodness, you know I turned this
one the uh. There's a classic from the Don Henley
album where he teamed up with Axel Rose back in
the day. Called I Will Not Go Quietly, and for
one night, the Dallas Mavericks channeled everything in that song
turn this thing around. I will not go quietly. I'm
(01:22):
not gonna try to do the Axl Rose. I'm not
four or five Beers or Gin and Tonics in to
where the voice will play those gymnastics for me here
Ryan Hollins, which is probably a good thing at nine
o'clock in the morning on the West Coast. But the Mavericks,
after all the criticism Brian Windhorse, some giving him credit,
(01:42):
I say all he did was he was Frank the Tank,
that guy that's you know, the whole barstool Mets guy
who was mad about New Jersey traffic all those years
ago and then became a big star. If he'd just
been upper register. That's where wind Horse was with that.
The big deal was insider suddenly becoming hot take. But
Luka Dagts and the Mavericks responded in grand fashion, and
(02:05):
the Celtics very early in that game.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Ryan looked like They're like, yeah, we can go win
at home. That's fine.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
No, you're right, that very much is how it came off.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
But what the one thing I do notice that I
don't think they just conceded the game, but I know,
you know, you get to a point where he said,
we're gonna live to fight again another day. The Mavericks
got a whistle, you know, Luca got a whistle. And
we talked about it yesterday, Mike.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
That's the similarities to James Harden.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
When he can get to the foul line, you can't
get physical with them, you can't rough them up. Man,
Luca becomes darn near impossible to guard. And in Game
three there are a number of blown calls. So Luca
was upset. It's got to be spilled milk, especially in
the NBA Finals at that point of the season. But
(02:56):
for him, he did so many good things, and they
got the role players rolling from Dallas, and you know,
first it was Luca that got going.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Then it was the rest of the bunch.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
And if you're Dallas, you got to say, hey, that's
got to be our recipe for success. Luca, it starts
and it ends with you, So there is validity. So
what Windhorst was saying, and there were a couple of
silly plays from Luca, but again, I think you got
to chime back and you got to give Mike, I
don't know how you feel about this. I feel like
you got to give Boston more credit because they attacked
(03:26):
Luca and they're a team equipped.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
Right.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
No, but that's the biggest thing. Is most of it
all all through the run. And Jason Tatum, I think
said it really well and his his press availability leading
into Game four, He's like, well, what's what's the difference?
You're you're gonna tell us who we didn't play and
whatever else. Now it's the presumption that you're going to
finish off the three to zero lead, which you still
need to go do. But he's like, well, we'll just
(03:51):
have to do it again next year, which you know,
I kind of like it a little bit of a
drop to Mike moment and all of that, But you're
exactly right, like, we're not giving credit to the way
the Celtics have gone out and handled their business, maybe
a little bit to their flowers in terms of individual
defense and how they're not doubling Luca or Kyrie and
(04:12):
giving wide open looks. All of that is is fair,
But you know, you played the game in the NBA
for for ten years. For those on aware, Ryan Hollins
with us, he's an analyst for the Rockets. You hear
him on the network. You hear with me Sunday mornings
doing a little double duty this weekend at the Ryan
Hollins The Opinionated Seven Footers podcast. He is in the
(04:33):
season of Clipped, or at least some representation of him there.
In the last couple of weeks, we've also had Uncut
Gems has been on one of the monitors, so we
always point out there's our guy. It's like you always
got to point out your friends when they make movies. You, oh, yeah,
it's one of those movies that now it's like Shawshank
for us at the studio. If it's on and they're
(04:55):
flipping channels after all the Bowl games are done, and
they're gonna take one of our monitors and put a movie.
If it happens to be in sequence that Uncut Gems
is on, doesn't matter where it is, Yep, it goes
up on the board. We got three or four movies
like that, the John Wicks series of Chants All of
the Ocean just there you go. Was not expecting that
(05:18):
kind of came out open, open mouth, say things and buttons.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
So there you have it.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
So it's the kind of thing that you know, it's
Ryan Hollands. You appear in that, but ten years in
the league. I mean you're you're theory testing, right, Like
I'll take another movie in, We'll do the Jurassic Park
Raptor thing. Right, they're testing the fences for weakness. That
what you do with the referees. All right, how physical
are we gonna call it tonight? What are we gonna
be able to get away with? And if you can
(05:45):
get away with a bunch early, guess what you're gonna
push a little bit more?
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Right.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
It's with every sport, with everything you do and every
endeavor in life, right, how aggressively you drive all.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
The way on down the line? What can I get
away with?
Speaker 2 (05:58):
And for the Celtics, and certainly Luca was doing that
on the other end, trying to figure out, all right,
what's exactly gonna take to get a fall? The problem
is he kept rolling around on the ground and not
getting back defensively to cover up the fact that he
didn't get a whistle the other way.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Yeah, well, the key right there at what you just
said is he was much better defensively, and that was
a whole lot of the frustration of man, you're not
even gonna try to get back on defense. You're not
even gonna You're gonna not gonna make an effort. You know,
come on, man, you gotta be better than that. In
the United States at the NBA Finals. And what's tough
(06:35):
is you like to sit him down, get him arrest,
let his mental come back. But it did look like
his mental win. And when you have such a load offensively,
then they asked you to play defense.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Man, it's hard. It is tough. So Luca was definitely
feeling it, you know, to say the least no.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
And that's the thing, right You're trying to figure out
where it stands. And there's a great super cut because look,
Luca defenders right as many critics as there are for
his defensive effort, and at some point it's that, you know,
in game three, it was oftentimes the all right, now
I'm gonna run around like a chicken with my head
cut off to show you how active I am on
(07:17):
this side, and then he committed a couple of dumb
files and doing so, you know, because whatever I don't
know about you, watching youth sports, there's always the retaliation,
and you could see it coming from a mile away, like,
you don't actually need to have the contact. The referee's
gonna blow the whistle because he knows something bad is
about to happen.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
You see it all the time.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
He didn't get a fall on one end, and then
they're like a heat seeking missile straight back to that opponent.
And Luca did that a bunch the other night. But
there was a supercut that went around. Look at him
on Tatum, look at the defensive effort here. So certainly
the stands were out in social media to point out
the effort, and it was a great effort all around.
Tim Hardaway Junior, who had been you know, kind of
(07:57):
the running joke of the fact that he hadn't had
a bucket since May eighteenth, comes off the bench and
he basically had a Reggie Miller couple of minutes, goes
five to seven from three point range, sixty points.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Like, aha, I'm in the box score now.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
The game was already decided, but for the purpose of
box score reading this morning, you know, everybody's excited about
the fact that these guys shot so well, the auxiliary guys,
you know, not Luca and Kyrie, and breaking those down.
He's like, well, we also have to remember down distance
in time of game. Yeah, it's great they got open shots,
(08:30):
but by that point, you know, you're kind of just
playing out the string and hoping that it's a running clock.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
But I ask you this, Ryan Hollins, does this open
the door? Or was it? Oh? That was nice, We'll
see you monday.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
We've seen stranger things happen, and I think that little
I'm sure hopefully everybody's seen it by now. But the
kind of twist in there is no team's ever come
back from three to zero, and no team that is
one of the finals has ever been blown out? Was
it thirty nine points? So history will be made at
one point in time. And I don't think it was
(09:04):
just Boston shut it down. But there was a level
where it's like, Okay, this is the team that we saw.
This is the team that we kind of expected in
the Mavericks where their bigs were getting dunks. There weren't
any lives, but the energy was there. The role players
play hard, Luka led, Kyrie followed, and the real players
(09:28):
did their job, you know, and they were just physical.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
The energy was there.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
Now the challenge is going to be can they create
that same energy in Boston. You know, can they make
things happen in Boston the same exact way?
Speaker 3 (09:43):
You know, that's the question, because that's the thing.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
You go back to Game three, and for the Celtics,
the narrative coming in, and fairly so, was that they'll
give you a chance to go take a game, maybe
even give you one right and against Indiana you had
three times the win probability in the final minutes for
the Pacers was over ninety percent. And give all credit
to the Celtics for coming back and taking those games.
(10:07):
But sports radio is far more entertaining when we concentrate
on how you lose a game like that. And for
Game three, same thing. As frustrated as Luca was, as
terrible as it looked at times, and there was no
flow and continuity for that squad. With four minutes left
when he falls out, it's a one possession game, and
there's always the what if what in all of that.
(10:29):
We can't we get replicated in cartoon form like they
did in the Marvel universe with all the different time
stuff and what would have happened to this guy did
that the other Well, in sports we can't relitigate it,
so you end up taking the l But right now
you're wondering, what if, right, you win that one, what's
game four look like, what's the rest of the series
(10:49):
look like. Well, now you're down three to one. But
you went and got that and you got the offense
to kind of spread out a bit, and at least
for a moment, everybody relaxed.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
Yeah, and you know, you do look back and you
notice and here's the one thing about playoff basketball. It
is that tight, man, It is that close the difference
between winning and losing. So you're a winner. Hey, we
took care of business. We got the right stops. You know,
(11:23):
the last We always look at the last two minutes
of a ball game, last two minutes of a close
ball game. You know, what were the plays that were made,
and normally the team that wins the or the teams
that made those plays and stepped up and did the
tough things. So you know, you always look back and
watching film and going, man, we were one box out away,
one shot away, one good screen away. And again you
(11:44):
see we're here doing what we're watching that Luca, that
that foul out and saying, Luca, stay in the game.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
You were right in there.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
You know, you played excellent. So that's where the man.
The NBA playoffs. I'm telling you, man, from my experiences
in the playoffs, it was the toughest thing.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
I've ever done in my life. I mean it was
his inches.
Speaker 4 (12:02):
I mean, you got you had have coaches game planning
for any little advantage. I remember, you know when it
always sticks out of my mind. I remember Lou Williams
got Cooking one game and Lou Williams is prolific when
he's going to his left hand. Going to his right,
he's got the floater, but going to his left, he's
got drive, he's got floater. I remember being in the
(12:25):
game and they had so many creative ways of trying
to get Lou Williams to his left hand. I mean,
it wasn't even funny, but it's literally a game of inches,
or you know. I remember Garden Dwayne Wade and running
out and Dwayne Wade never waited for the screen.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
He just goes sprinting at you. So like you're Garden
Dayne Wade.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
You're coming out in a full on stance, you know,
all the way down, you know, prepared for him to
make a move to the left of the right, and
man just a lot of times, man, the playoff games
at that level, the competitive nature, the details are there,
and bring that up to say that there's something that's missing. Well, Luka,
this is experience and and hats off Drewe. Holliday's the
(13:06):
NBA champion, right, and the rest of those guys they
had a lot of them had made it to the
finals before, so they kind of got to see what
the finals look like.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Well in Celtics for the better part of a decade
living at least in the Eastern Conference finals, a lot
of big runs. Even if you've changed out the coaches,
that a lot of the principals are still there.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
There's no question.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
And even with that Luca file Ryan just to you know,
not to re litigate it, but going back to the
one he filed out on, if you had only the
first camera angle that was shown, you could have argued
that his feet were set and that it was in
fact potentially a charge. Problem is that second one comes
in and shows that he's still jumping to the left
(13:46):
and in this case the right.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
I just wanted to get the time warp in at nine.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
I got a confession for you.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
Yeah, we watched every NBA game of the rockets and
then some and as we sit there and check the monitor,
it gets to a point where you don't.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Know what a foul is anymore.
Speaker 4 (14:02):
Well, it's a fair point, literally a blocker chargeer going,
I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
Do you have a giant oversized coin that you've added
to any bitch yet call it in the air?
Speaker 4 (14:13):
What do you think that's what we I mean, we
literally probably need that. But there were points and I'm
telling you we go I just say, hey, I don't
know what it is anymore.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
I'll I'll wait for the explanation. Hopefully it's clear, no question.
We do have a big officiating story that's creeping out,
and since you were in the league as the NBA
went through a bunch of trials and tribulations with some
stuff that still hangover. Not to mention, Scott Foster was
the referee yesterday again thirty eight point burial. But as
(14:43):
you say, some calls don't go the same way early
and you maybe get a different flow and opportunity to
play basketball.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
Funny how that all works.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
But we do have that a little bit later because
Major League Baseball has themselves a nice big scandal, So
we'll tie those two together. But coming up next, last night,
in the wake of the game for resounding victory by
the Mavericks, we got what was put up as a
retirement announcement. I think it was more a threat. We'll
(15:14):
break that down as we continue. He's Ryan Hollins on
Mike Harmon. This is Fox Sports Saturday on Fox.
Speaker 5 (15:19):

Greetings and welcome back in Fox Sports Saturday. Mike Carmen,
Ryan Hollins with you. Follow the show on Twitter at
Fox Sports Radio at Swollen Dome from me at the
Ryan Hollins of course, take us with you wherever you
go on the highways and byways. Big Saturday. Whatever you
got popping so much sporting that sporting events from pillar
(16:55):
to post that you can probably just hide inside all
day as well. We get to call it work, Ryan Hollins,
which is always a wonderful thing. What's that? I got
another game to watch? Are you gonna talk about it tomorrow?
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Baby? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
I mean, I just don't know where it's gonna go.
So I mean I at least have to pay attention.
Does that work?
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (17:13):
I think that works right.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Yeah, that's a spin.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
No, that's it all right. Take us with you on
the iHeartRadio app. We are global. If you are in
a country other than the US, you know, even just
north of the border, south of the border, whatever the case,
let us know because we're putting pins on the giant
map to show the reach of what we do here.
We appreciate you taking a few minutes of your day,
whatever you got, popping on to be part of the
(17:36):
extended family. So last night, Ryan, in the wake of
the Game four resounding victory by the Mavericks and your
appearance with us Jason Smith and I on our show
last night, all of a sudden, about forty five minutes
later's like, hey, wait a minute, we've got something cooking.
And during the day on social media there was Hey,
(17:57):
there's a tease. This guy is going to be part
of the coverage of Game four. Turnover over to NBA
TV and you can hear everything he's got to say
because you know you want to. But nobody, nobody could
have anticipated that you'd get this quote coming out of
the game and into a late Friday night.
Speaker 8 (18:22):
You know, there's been a lot of noise around on
network the last few months, and I just want to say,
I've talked to all the other networks, but I ain't
going nowhere other than TNT. But I have made the
decision myself, no matter what happens, next year is going
to be my last year on television.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
Now, I appreciate the the you know, bold statement right there,
because he also went on saying, don't call me because
I'm not doing any more interviews. So we anxiously await
his appearance with Dan Patrick on the network. So keep
an eye on all the Fox Sports Radio and DP
shows socials for when Charles to talk about this proclamation
(19:02):
a little bit. I took it as kind of like
an athlete at the end of a long season. It's
like I gotta get away, and sometimes they'll hint at
or even tell you that they're gonna retire me. And
Lebron James has done this a bunch. Aaron Rodgers famously
go before that in Green Bay with Brett farbre things
that kind of ticked off packer fans, packer brass as
(19:23):
they tried to plan for the next year. Charles Barkley
and company. I think it was often misreported like the
team work and inside the NBA was going away as
soon as their coverage of this year ended forgetting there
was still one more year on the deal before things
went to new buyers, new bidders, and new broadcasters. But
(19:46):
this one seemed like a all right, I'm emotional, I
don't want to do any more talking about this, but
also it's kind of a threat to Adam Silver and
everybody else. Can we get this done once and for all.
So as much as it could be, Hey, I did
twenty five years, you know, I'm out. I still think
there's part of the Leo DiCaprio, I'm not blank and leaving.
(20:06):
That's possible if commer heads prevail and a package is
good enough to bring him his team in front of
and behind the cameras with him.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
I think you're right, and.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
Sometimes you have to make these type of statements so
that people see you and see the show. I think
everybody was shocked that you know, T and T would match,
and it just kind of shows how much how much
we love. So sometimes until they know you're going away
you're no longer going to be there, that appreciation may
(20:42):
not be valued or may not be present. So I think, hey,
there's a lot of us that's optimistic.
Speaker 3 (20:48):
And I know.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
Just from my experience is that any and really anybody
can speak to this. When you're at the end of
a season and you're tired and you're fatigued, that's a
lot of emotion talking.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
And there's been a.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
Lot going on over there with the NBA T and
T and a lot of frustration and you know, really
trying to trying to figure things out. But I think
what Charles Barkley is also saying is that heo much
bigger than.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
Just the T and T man. He's a staple. We
kind of like rely on him.
Speaker 4 (21:24):
That he's that wild uncle at the parties man that
you want to hear what he's got to say.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
Well, he's going to cut.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
Through and tell you tell you straight. At times it
might get uncomfortable. Now I've argued in all the love
fest with the inside the NBA guy, part of the
outpouring of emotion is also the content creators and people
in our business that have stopped actually creating and just
go off of what everybody else says. So the loss
(21:51):
of Barkley and Kenny Smith and Shack with Ernie Johnson
is potentially really damaging to their individual shows. So they
need them to stick around, particularly when it gets to
college basketball season. It's like, hey, hey, you don't know
about my team, you know, like part of that is
the faux outrage that goes with that of what they
don't know. Yes, they can't watch what is it eighty
(22:12):
two games times thirty teams? Oh, and add all the
college games to Yeah, no, there's not enough bandwidth unless
they're now cyborgs, which would be kind of cool. Cyborg
Charles Barkley is an interesting proposition. But for all of this,
you know, you've got leverage, and we'll get into Dan
Hurley a little bit. It doesn't have to be one
(22:33):
hundred percent leverage. And part of this could be Yeah,
I'm done with it, right, I'm done with the travel,
I'm done with this. It's time to move on. He
starts naming potential successors and everything else. Ryan, But you know,
part of it is, you know, if they love us
so much and we're so integrated and part of the
NBA viewing experience, let's flex a little bit, get everybody
(22:55):
a pay raise. But one of the things Barkley's done,
and I think brilliantly so during this you know, long
goodbye run that we've had these last months since it
was announced that they might only get a small package
of games versus being shut out altogether at TNT and
Warner Brothers and everything, is that he's talked up how
much the family of it all matters, right, talking family?
(23:17):
Why do they keep making those Fast and the Furious
movies because they make money, But it all comes back
to family, Right. We'd celebrated the seventeenth anniversary of Fade
to Black off the Sopranos final episode. Family, all of
those things. Barklay's talk time and time again of all
the weddings, all the babies, all of the rights of
(23:38):
passage by all the crew members, and he's naming people
off camera people and writers and everything else. And part
of it is you've got leverage to make sure these
people continue to get taken care of professionally and continue
to do what they love either's some responsibility that he
feels there and ownership of that and if he can
squeeze one of the networks to come up with more
(24:00):
of a sweetheart deal. If you're ever going to have
and use that kind of leverage, Oh, here, here's your opportunity.
So what do you do Game four of the finals. Hey,
by the way, I'm over here on on NBA TV.
I'm going away to Lake Tahoe. So here's my parting statement.
Good night everybody. It's a brilliant move.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
No, it is.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
And I worked over there at Turner a lot how
to how to show on Turner on the network and
behind the scenes of is family it is? You know, everybody,
everybody's cool. It's not you know ESPN, you got a
bunch of people running around the hallways. It's it's it's
it's a different feel Fox. We're family there and and
(24:44):
it's it's more almost like an NBA fraternity, you know.
So he's definitely right about that. Uh, the pill is
there and you know, yeah, you don't. You do not
want to see it go away? And I think for Charles,
you hit it spot on. He's like of anybody probably
outside of Shack, he's like I got the universal say.
(25:07):
You know, if I speak, they're gonna listen to me.
So this is my obligation because for those in production,
if that show goes away, they're gonna have to be
looking for other jobs. They're looking at other networks to
go over with, and and it kind of gets swept
out from underneath you. So man, hats off to Charles.
(25:29):
It's definitely admirable what he's doing. And it's the truth
of the matter, you know, so nothing that he's saying
is wrong. But again, I think you got to have
a deeper respect because he's made enough money. You know,
he's made enough money. He's putting his neck on the
line and saying, hey, I'll retire. I think it's that serious.
You guys don't take care of their guys. Don't just
(25:51):
ask me to go to another network and we go
about it. No, I'm gonna fight for those people who've
had my back every single day and the people that
we've been able to do life with.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
He's Ryan Hollins, I'm Mike Carmen here, Fox Sports Radio
and Adam Silver.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
You're on the clock. Get a deal done.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
Let's make this all make sense because I need that
wacky uncle still to spill some comfortable truths once in
a while. I was doing a rewatch of The Bear
ahead of season three. Right comes out later on this month.
Right the FX thing set in Chicago, all sorts of
Chicago milestones, music, w XRT, the soundtrack, whatever, And they
(26:31):
have that uncomfortable Christmas episode where they have all these
guest stars. You got Bob Oden Kirk, and there's Jamie
Lee Curtis, and there's all sorts of craziness, and you've
got several crazy uncles at the table. Reminded me of
old time family holidays, some that you think of fondly,
some not so much. But Charles Barkley, I think I
(26:51):
could be entertained for a while, even if he threw
a fork at me. You gotta watch the show if
you to understand that reference. He's Ryan, I'm Mike. It's
Fox Sports Saturday. Here Fox Sports Radio. We got our
guys Bow and Chris making it sound so pretty, and
of course our guy Isaac Lowancron at the news desk
keeping an eye on the.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
World of sport.
Speaker 9 (27:10):
Mike and Ryan, we actually have some breaking news within
the last few seconds. Shock at all, Charles Barkley. TNT
Sports has just issued the following statement, quote, Charles is
a Hall of Famer and broadcasting icon who is and
will always be a beloved member of the TNT sports family.
(27:30):
We're looking forward to another fantastic NBA on TNT season
and further discussion of our future plans with him. Unquote,
I mean, could that be a possible TNT detective series
called Risolian Charles?
Speaker 2 (27:49):
Do you think I gotta dig that? Is he teamed
up with Angie Harmon.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
I think so. I'm in. I wouldn't mind that.
Speaker 9 (27:58):
Further discussion of our future sure plans with him would
tend to contradict it's a stone cold lock that he's
going to be retiring. But that's just what I read
into that. I'm just saying anyway. And on the floor
on the court. In Game four the NBA Finals on
Friday night, the Dallas Mavericks stayed alive with the thirty
eight point went over the Boston Celtics one twenty two
(28:19):
to eighty four. Celtics still lead the series three games
to one. Game five on Monday at Boston. In the NFL,
multiple outlets reported today that Cincinnati Bengals receiver t Higgins
is signing his franchise tender today and is therefore expected
a report for the start of training camp later this summer.
After two rounds of golf c the UFS Open, Sweden's
(28:40):
Ludwig Obert as the lead at five under par overall,
one shot head of Bryson de Shambo, Patrick Cantley and
Thomas Deetree. They will all tee off round three at
around three point thirty Eastern time this afternoon. Mike and
Ryan back to you, Thanks so much, Iolo.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
We also have you know the Euro twenty twenty four
on Fox spaying Croatia. I'm watching it. I'm watching an
NWSL game as well. A woman got called for a fall, Ryan,
and you know, did an extra dribble or two and
the ref didn't like it. So as she continued to
dribble past her, she blew the whistle as hard as
(29:17):
she could and pulled out a yellow card and the
one was like, you just blew my ear drub out.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
So a little bit of.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
Anxiousness there in the opening moments of that game as well.
So you know, a lot of chaos going on in
our sporting universe, which is fantastic because we've got everything going.
We've got game four right of the Stanley Cup final
later on tonight. I've got a Stanley Cup piece of
news and notes that will make you feel like, hey,
(29:45):
you know you're still a winner because you got to participate.
We'll get into that a little bit.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
All right.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
Now, we got the the two minute drill before we
have to do, you know, and run and abide by
the clock. So I open it up with this. The
Danny Hurley saga very short lived here in Los Angeles.
The excitement of hey, here's a guy that builds culture,
builds program all of this stuff. Six years reportedly a
seventy million dollar offer goes back to Leverage says, No,
(30:13):
that wasn't it. Look what I've got Like, if I
get task you, Ryan Hollins, to do a task, say
I give you one hundred thousand dollars budget, and you
not only meet the task, but you crush it. And
then you come back and you have proposals for salary increases,
more technology, whatever else. But the ROI on that can
(30:37):
only be as great as what you've already given me.
Am I giving you that money, Ryan Hollins, Say you
want to add staff change the training room, whatever the
case is. Now I'm mixing between business and sport, but
the point is the same. If you've achieved the highest
level possible, and why would I give you more resources
(31:00):
and not make a fight for it a little bit?
So the Danny Hurley leverage thing doesn't play right for me.
But your question is, and it's not one hundred percent right.
It's a giant pie chart and we ascribed some value
to it, but in the end here in Los Angeles,
it now becomes a lot of handwringing of is it
really going to be reddick or what's behind door number two?
Speaker 4 (31:25):
You're right about that. I actually just saw Danny Hurley
and you know what, he's out recruiting already.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
He got to be right back at it.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
Yeah, he wasted no time. He was right back at it.
Speaker 4 (31:38):
And I think just for the Lakers, it is it's
an embarrassing spot to be in because you know, you
do all this work, you go after a guy, you
make him your number one candidate, and he walks away,
and you know, man, you gotta be shaking your hands.
It's embarrassing. But the reality is, uh, we spoke about this, yes,
(32:02):
say it's tough to coach Lebron, you know, as amazing
as greaty as he is, because it's like, what are
you what are you gonna tell that older guy? You
know you get you know, Mike, I don't know if
you ever got to the point where you're a coach
or a teacher had something to say to you and
a boss it's like like, hey, can you show up
at this time? And it's like, yeah, I'll show up,
I'll be there. But you know, Lebron's to the point
(32:24):
of what are you gonna say to him?
Speaker 3 (32:25):
Man?
Speaker 4 (32:26):
He's achieved everything under the sun, and you know, he
comes with a lot. Man, he comes with a lot,
and he's he's well deserved to everything that he's earned
in the basketball universe. So, uh, Danny Hurley a guy
who in college, let me give you perspective, you tell
your guys to get there at five am and get
(32:46):
there at five m when you when you tell him
that we're gonna do X, Y and Z, they kind
of don't have a say.
Speaker 3 (32:51):
They kind of got to roll with it and do it.
And Danny Hurley has had a lot of success like that.
Speaker 4 (32:55):
So it would have been a huge adaptation and change
for him to, you know, revamped the way that he
does things. So I think for Danny, I don't think
it was anything personal. It just man, it would have
been a lot of uncharted territory and water for him
coming over to the Lakers. But I think the Lakers
it wasn't the worst ploy. But it's tough when you
(33:15):
go after a candidate and that candidate says I'm good,
I'm good. It's not a good look.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
Yeah, we'll play through the psychology of that something that
Hurley dropped that Lebron texted him again, curiosity of all
of this playing out, and for Hurley, you know what
that Lebron appearance in inclusion in this Lakers roster would
have meant because short and long term two very different things.
(33:46):
For Danny Hurley, we'll talk about that. He's Ryan Hollins.
I'll buy Karmen. This is Fox Sports Saturday from the
Tyraq dot com Fox.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
Sports Radio Studios.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
Hey, welcome back in Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports Sunday.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
Mike Carmon Hollin's with you.
Speaker 3 (34:01):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
You know, shortly after the show, podcast goes up. If
you missed Annie at today's show, be sure to check
it out search Fox Sports Saturday, Holland's and Harmon wherever
you get your podcasts, and be sure to follow, rate
review the podcast. You know, just search for it again.
Fox Sports Weekends, Holland and Harmon, Fox Sports Saturday, wherever
you get your podcasts, you'll see it the show listed.
(34:22):
Right after we get off the air. Our guy Bo
Benson will have that up and running for us, just
wrapping a bow as we do. Ryan on you know,
the Hurly stuff one and fortifies his personal brand, family, culture, community,
all of those things as they go for a three peat.
A huge win for college basketball to not lose another coach,
(34:43):
not because of you know, explicitly Nil and all of
those other ills like Jay Wright, coach K and others
have talked about. But you know, some of that combined
with the allure of the NBA and one of the
shiny franchise logos. But you know, you get to keep
the face of college basketball right now, maybe the he
(35:06):
and Tom Izzo and very few others Bill self that
are still you know, the names that you come back to.
But on the Lakers side of things, you know, a
lot of it was a tough week, right you lose
out on Hurley, It gets reported six for seventy and
then you have a very short statement after the passing
(35:28):
of Jerry West. You know, we long established, you know,
still the falling out and division between the Lakers and
one of their all time greats and obviously an all
time game great. So you have that bad pr that
comes out of issuing a tepid four line statement as well.
But for Hurley, for Reddick, for whomever would be in
(35:51):
the job, Ryan, it's the short and long term of
all right, what's my role while Lebron is still here?
If he's still here, which was one of the things
he Hurley dropped talking in some of his interviews late
in the week because he has the opportunity to opt out,
but he'd leave a lot of money on the table.
So I don't think anybody believes that's happening. But you've
(36:13):
got the Lebron years to navigate and then whatever it
becomes in the PostScript, And I got to imagine for
Hurley or somebody else, I get to build it in
my image and what I want to do far more
attractive than what the next two years might.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
Have brought him.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
Absolutely, you as a college coach, your GM, your coach,
your president, your owner, you get to pick your guys NBA.
You could be the fourth most important person in the organization,
if not maybe lower. And guess what, You're going to
(36:49):
be number one when it comes to blame. So Hurley's
probably just like, yeah, I don't know if this deal
is as attractive as it you make it seem, or hey,
you got to pay me a lot. If I'm gonna
be the escapegoat, you gotta paid me a lot of
money for it.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
Man, you might not be enough money.
Speaker 4 (37:08):
And you know, at the end of the day, you know,
I think that that's what it came down to, just
wouldn't be worth it has everything again right now, Yes,
the Lakers job is prestigious, but at this moment is
in his career for him to be pulled away. He's saying,
it's it's just not enough, you know, And it doesn't
have to be a shot to the Lakers necessarily, but
(37:30):
it's not enough.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
I mean when we look at the brand historically and
you know Boe our executive producer, Laker fan, you know
Los Angeles guy, and we're talking about the history. I mean,
this isn't new, right, This is not some revelation that
the Lakers haven't paid coaches. Hell, they've fought even going
(37:52):
all the way back in Phil Jackson's money and everything else.
I mean, it's well chronicled all the way through. No
matter how much success you know marketplace and that ascribing
some value to the brand in the southern California lifestyle,
I mean that only gets you so far with the
guy that is so ingrained, particularly Hurley and what his
personal brand and history is all about.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
And it's well chronicled. No need to reltigate that here.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
But now you've got JJ Reddick established as a minus
five hundred favorite, Ryan Hollins behind him, James Barrego plus
three hundred. You've got Cleveland's job is still open. By
the way, Sam Cassell is nine to one. We've got
some news on Sam Cassell off a report from one
of our guys a little bit. You got Chris Quinn
(38:37):
for whatever reason. Ty lewis still on the board even
with everything going on with the Clippers, which is interesting.
And then you got Atkinson and Adalman at eighteen to one,
and then you start digging deeper from there.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
So just a curious lot.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
And it's presumed after an interview this weekend that Reddick
finally becomes the guy. Shams will do a victory lap
over a defeated Woes and then win. Horse will still
be over there, pointing and screaming, I need that. You know,
that triple threat match added to the clash at the
Castle here coming up in the next hour.
Speaker 3 (39:13):
Look it it is. I mean, the Lakers are making headway, man,
deep into the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (39:20):
I mean, this is this is amazing. But man, look again,
it's a tough job to have. The thing is a
guy like JJ Radick will say, Hey, I'm gonna relish
at the idea to coach Lebron. You know, whatever stipulation
you want to put in there, I'm willing to take
it and abide by them.
Speaker 3 (39:41):
You know.
Speaker 4 (39:42):
And if the Lakers go after a tenure coach, remember
Tyd Lou turned the job down one time and said, hey.
Speaker 3 (39:48):
You gotta pay me, you gotta give me the.
Speaker 4 (39:50):
Years, you gotta give me something and listen, Honestly, for
them to kind of extended the money to Hurley, that
was a first.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
I was actually very surprise.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
You're certainly a little higher because standard has been a
five year deal. They went six. Some of the reports
had it as much as eight, and we'd heard that
mythical one hundred and ten million dollar number was floating
around there. For a hot minute, Ryan, we start talking
about that, you know, because people are trying to, you know,
lick their wounds by saying, well, at least the Lakers
(40:20):
took their shot, did they did they take their best shot?
Speaker 4 (40:27):
Well, you gotta be willing to go. And I think
that the idea also is hardly new. He had all
the leverage and was willing.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
To back out there you go.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
So now it becomes the JJ Reddick watch as he
continues his work.
Speaker 1 (40:41):
At the NBA Finals.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
So yeah, we're we're presuming that we get an announcement
that you know, it's eminent, perhaps as soon as the
game ends and we see either the tremendous Mavericks comeback
or the Celtics win that on set, Reddick just says,
I'm now the Lakers coach as they fade the Black's
Ryan Hollands, I'm Mike Carman. More for the NBA coming
up next to here on Fox Sports Saturday. Hey, welcome
(41:05):

Wherever you are out and about, perhaps your first weekend
with the kids out of school, trying to navigate that
elbow out some room at the community pool, or maybe
in your complex, whatever the case may be. Maybe you've
got a nice inflatable that's going up, and you got
the barbecue going with all sorts of sporting action in
the background.
Speaker 1 (41:42):
We're happy to be with you. Glad you joined us
for a few minutes of your day. It does not.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
We appreciate every minute of it being able to do
this for you. Ryan Hollins my partner here, ten years
in the NBA. He's got the history, the opinionated, the unopinion.
You've got plenty of opinions. Seven Footers Podcast at the
Ryan Hollins working with the Houston Rockets up and coming squad.
What will be part of the muddled mess of the
(42:10):
Western Conference. Can't wait for it this coming season. Ryan,
But it's always a pleasure to be with you here.
We've got Chris we've got Bo and we've got Ilo
at the news desk, so much going on, some NBA
stories to get to and then we've got one at
the end of the hour, a lot of talk, Joey Chestnut,
whatever else. We're going to take an eating challenge in
a different direction for today. So we've got that coming up.
(42:35):
You don't want to miss it because it's a very
curious but also creative solution to one of life's big problems.
But a guy that you know well, Doc Rivers in
the news this week once again. No, it's not for
Laurence Fishburn yelling at players like we talked about last
week on our Sunday morning show Ryan in the episodes
(42:57):
of Clipped, where Laurence Fishburn's using his mind.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
No, no, no.
Speaker 2 (43:01):
He was on the Bill Simmons podcast on Thursday and
he got into deep details of the season that was
goes back to a little bit of the time in Philly,
how hard it was to win their at home and
people raising their hand going as the team they went
thirty seven and four of the year before what are
you talking about? And then he became the Bucks coach.
(43:22):
But where I thought it was interesting and wanted to
get your perspective on this as as a former player,
a guy who's still around a team and around the
league and talking to guys.
Speaker 1 (43:32):
He went pretty.
Speaker 2 (43:33):
Deep into navigating his run with the Bucks taking over
mid season and the relationship with Damian Lillard. Quote really
hard to navigate Lillard's personal situation, you know, because he
arrives to the Bucks and he was going through a
(43:54):
divorce and he goes deep in.
Speaker 10 (43:59):
Here.
Speaker 1 (44:00):
That's where it starts.
Speaker 2 (44:00):
Ryan, let me start with this quote, Coch we were
out of dinner and he says, Coach, I didn't work
out all summer.
Speaker 1 (44:06):
It's the first time in my life that have not
worked out.
Speaker 2 (44:08):
I was so scared of getting injured working out well
because he knew he was gonna get traded, right, so
that was in the offing, and continues to go on
talking about him being out of shape and basketball shape
and everything else. Quote, I did some light running, I
did some shooting with no one in the gym. I
didn't but I didn't go at all. I'm out of shape,
and he was honest about it. It's one of the reasons
(44:29):
you love him because he's honest. This is the worst
shape I've ever been in. And obviously Lillard tried to
get back in shape. Season ended in the playoffs. He
gets hurt, Giannis is hurt. The Bucks bow out Doc
in his Milwaukee run after what was a fantastic start
thirty and thirteen. They change out the coach and bring
(44:51):
Doc in from the broadcast booth, and it's an uneven
season thereafter, and Lillard ends up injured. But as soon
as he started going into the discussions of Lillard being
out of shape, I started feeling a little bit uncomfortable,
like this was out of bounds. I think everybody on
the outside looking in and wondered how he was handling
(45:11):
things mentally. And Lillard had talked about some of that,
being away from his kids at times and going through
the divorce and changing venues after a decade plus in
one spot. But it made me a bit uncomfortable when
you start getting into these conversations of well, here's what
he told me. Was he Doc out of bounds for
doing this with Simmons or is it a kind of
(45:33):
an attempt on some level not only to absolve himself
for what happened in the second half, but also maybe
humanizing Damian Lillard, maybe to a fault.
Speaker 4 (45:45):
Yeah, I think he hit it spot on. I think,
you know, I don't know what the intent was. It
can be drawn from both ways, and for Doc, Doc
has already you know, scene as you know, deflecting, you know,
and a lot of time coaches say, hey, I messed up,
(46:06):
my bad. You know, this one was on me, and
it looks like he's saying, hey, well, it's not my
fault Lillard. You know, Lillard was going through, you know,
whatever he was going through, and you know, I don't
know the intent behind it, so I don't want to say,
you know, how could he do this? There he goes again,
and you know, obviously at this point people are looking
(46:27):
for clips and looking for things that have been said
to that degree.
Speaker 3 (46:31):
But I don't know where it goes.
Speaker 4 (46:35):
And it is tough now to give Doc the benefit
of the doubt because you know he's kind of, you know,
made these excuses, and he did.
Speaker 3 (46:43):
He stepped into a tough situation with the team that was.
Speaker 4 (46:47):
Really really good and doing well, and then you know
he had to take over and within that the team faltered.
Speaker 3 (46:56):
You know.
Speaker 4 (46:56):
So for Doc, I don't know where to take it,
but you think it might be wise to stay away
from it. But at the end of the day, look,
as long as the guys in that locker room are
on the same page as him, ownership and the president
are comfortable with things that he's doing and saying that,
(47:17):
that's really all that matters at the point. But you know,
you don't want to lose the players. And I think
that Yannis is is kind of learning those lebron Like problems.
And when I say that lebron Like problems is when
you become so good that whatever you have to say goals.
If you say, hey, I want my brother to be
on the team, boom, Hey, I don't think I really
(47:37):
get along with the coach boom, coaches fired, you know,
and those things happen. Guess what, You're gonna get that
responsibility on the other end, And you can't just go,
oh man, it wasn't me, It was it was somebody else.
Speaker 3 (47:52):
No, no, no, no, Yiannis. This is you making these calls.
Speaker 4 (47:56):
So he's gonna he's gonna have to own this, and
you know a lot of this is gonna have to
fall back on him.
Speaker 2 (48:00):
Well, that's the curiosity of it, right, It's it's the
double edged sort of you know, the great power, great responsibility.
We take the Spider Man quote leaving no pop culture
reference stone unturned as we roll through on a Saturday morning.
But yeah, with Lebron, you're gonna get You're gonna wear
it at this point, no matter what, Right, even in
(48:22):
this coaching search, no matter what, there's gonna be the
poison pen out for he wanted this guy, didn't want
that guy. And we saw it from day one. You know,
the Reddick Reddick insertion into things was while he's got
a podcast with him, that's his buddy, and everybody clapped
their hands said, okay, moving on, and then the hurly
thing pops up for a minute, and now we're back
(48:42):
to Redick with with Jannis, changing teams, changing coaches, getting
his brothers playing time and rings and whatever is Look, man,
it's if you've got the leverage and pull and you
can do it. I guess you do it to a point,
but you recognize that on the other side, you're gonna
get the criticism. Right, Lebron and Wade and Bosh teaming
(49:05):
up in Miami, it was all great in theory, and
then they got some backlash and they didn't like that
very much.
Speaker 1 (49:11):
Right.
Speaker 2 (49:11):
Wade actually cried. Lebron never embraced the villainy of it
at that point. As he got deeper into his career,
I think, you know, with subsequent moves and whatever, just realized,
all right, this is the way it's gonna be, So
I'm just gonna lean into it. And even on social
media now he's going after companies you know that were
implying that he owned a car and things of that nature.
So he's he's going after everybody and you know, scorched
(49:33):
earth kind of thing.
Speaker 1 (49:34):
But at the.
Speaker 2 (49:35):
Time, you know, becoming the villain is a hard thing, right,
I mean, we talked about it, and we could joke
about it. From a wrestling standpoint. You know, you're a
babyface for a lot of years and everybody's cheering you,
all right, factions of the audience don't. But then you
go full on heel. You're gonna hear some things you
probably hadn't heard before. Same same thing as a player, right,
(49:57):
Everything was great with Giannis and then you have a
couple the first round exits, you add some injury stuff
and people can look and say, you built this team
as you wanted to it. So with that becomes the
responsibility of hey, it's not just you didn't you average,
you know, thirty eight and eight or whatever the stats
would be. It's like, well, if you didn't win enough,
(50:17):
it's because you failed to put a team together. And
it becomes less about the GM Cavalcadive stars come through
as a coach, they become less and less important because
it becomes about you and your history.
Speaker 4 (50:31):
Yep, and you brought these guys here, and you know
it is tough because as much as you want to
keep things in the locker room or you know, behind
closed doors, you got to come and answer and you
can see these major moves being made and you know, ultimately, man,
a lot of times this would drop me crazy as
a player. You know, sometimes you have to protect the
(50:53):
brand and protect the shield. And there's a difference where
you know, in the locker room, we know what went on,
we know why that guy was fired, we know it happened,
but you're not gonna go out and say it and
or put it out because it's not your place.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
And you know it's it's what his side, her side,
and the truth, no, right.
Speaker 2 (51:21):
Right, three sides to every story. It's kind of like
you know, me watching clipped, I have a million questions,
But you've already told me you ain't watching, so you
can binge watch the whole series. So at some point
I'm just bringing a bunch of food for you and
your family. I'll fly to Houston if I got to,
and you and I are going to binge watch this,
and I'm just gonna have a running recorder when they
(51:42):
do the basketball side of it, so you can set
me straight of what actually happened.
Speaker 1 (51:46):
In all this.
Speaker 3 (51:47):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 1 (51:49):
See what I did there. I now invited myself to
your house.
Speaker 3 (51:53):
Any time by that anytime.
Speaker 1 (51:55):
But yeah, I'll supply the food and beverage. But but
it's like.
Speaker 2 (51:59):
As you're talking about it, like you know what went
on in the locker room, and I only bring up
clipped one because I'm fascinated by it. But I mean,
you're part of that squad, so you know, you know
the story and the stories and the interactions behind the stories.
Speaker 1 (52:13):
And that's the thing.
Speaker 2 (52:13):
In all of these locker rooms we're trying to we
want honesty, And I guess that's the point with the
doc thing. This could be one hundred percent true that
you know he and Damian Lillard had these hard conversations
about where he was mentally, physically, whatever else. It's just
as soon as they start being broadcast, like, we're always
gonna question motives and process and you know, the why
(52:37):
now kind of things, and it's not just Hey, I'm
comfortable and I have a great relationship with Bill Simmons,
and we know Doc with most of the media, right,
that's one of the things that has endeared to him
for years. Unless he's the coach of your squad and
you say, why didn't we finish that playoff series?
Speaker 1 (52:52):
Doc?
Speaker 2 (52:53):
Except for two thousand and eight, there's always going to
be two thousand and eight. He's Ryan Holland out by Carmen. Hey,
let's go back to Philadelphia with another story, because there
was a guy on the set for the NBA Finals
who said some things. He also declared himself ready for
a big international competition, and if I'm a Sixers fan,
I'm saying, can you not? We'll talk about that next.
(53:15):
It's Fox Sports Saturday here on Fox Sports Radio. Hey,
welcome back in Fox Sports Saturday, Fox Sports Radio, Mike
Carmen alongside Ryan Hollins. Find us on Twitter at Swollen
Dome at the Ryan Hollins and we'll be back again
with you tomorrow's six a m. Pacific time for three
more hours of merriment, more details and the expectations of
(53:36):
what we see for Monday nights Game five, and whether
we still have a series rolling forward and implications falling
out of what this NBA conclusion because we start getting
towards free agency and trades and the draft and all
of that fun here in short order, So join us
again tomorrow morning, but obviously keep us always locked on
(53:57):
wherever you going, the iHeartRadio app, Fox Sports Radio, all

going evangelize. You know, it's a good gift for dad.
You know, here's here's a card, and here's a link
to the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (54:16):
Here. Let me install that app on your phone. Dad.
Speaker 2 (54:19):
See it's a gift that keeps giving. And you know
what it costs you just a minute of your time
and a little bit of kindness. See what I did there,
Ryan Hollins, get.
Speaker 1 (54:26):
Into sell, Sell, Sell.
Speaker 2 (54:30):
I'll wear the sandwich board on the Santa Monica Peer
if that's what it's gonna take. Because cost of customer acquisition.
Harmon is there for you.
Speaker 1 (54:39):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (54:39):
Joel Embiid was part of the NBA Finals coverage and
you know, chattering a bit. He's saying he's getting ready
for the Olympics. That's what I kind of alluded to
in terms off, I'm nervous if I'm a Sixers fan
and I'm seeing if I can't say I appreciate your
boyhood dreams. I got titles to win, man, come on, quote,
it's gonna be big for me because I've been dreaming
(55:01):
about it since I was a kid. Said that during
the pregame show. The other part, some folks enjoyed this.
He played the heel as he's wont to do at times,
big WWE fan, I hate the Celtics, and then at
one point kind of talking about the future of the
squad and hopes of bringing in another superstar, and he
(55:21):
had Paul George sitting next to him, so kind of
a nod and a wink, and it seems like that
marriage moving closer and maybe Paul George drifting away from Clipperdom.
Speaker 4 (55:35):
I mean, for what I have to adjust to the
guys being on on set that that's different, like tears
it up a bit.
Speaker 1 (55:47):
Huh.
Speaker 4 (55:48):
They are in the middle of the finals going on,
and you got current players on there just essentially doing
these these like inner I don't even know if they're
given takes, you know, they're just kind of talking about
the game, and it's it's very unique. A man heads
off to Steven a for being able to essentially put
(56:11):
it together.
Speaker 3 (56:12):
But yeah, that's that's that's a different way he.
Speaker 4 (56:16):
Goes right there in weeks and I mean, do we
care about tampering anymore?
Speaker 3 (56:21):
What does this fall under?
Speaker 2 (56:22):
Well, that's the thing, right, it's it's the longest running
joke in all of these sports. I don't know if
you saw the penalties that the Falcons had to pay
out for their tampering this week. I mean just absurd, right,
talking about Kirk Cousins coming into town and everything, where
you're talking about two hundred and fifty thousand dollars fine
(56:44):
and a fifth round selection of the twenty twenty five
draft while breaking the quote improper contact policies and everything
to bring all these free agents in three guys three
and for actions including your you know, two hundred million
dollar quarterback and you lose a fifth round pick and
(57:06):
two hundred and fifty thousand dollars if that's gonna be
the penalty, Ryan, If I'm a GM and I'm an owner,
it's like, sign me up. We vastly improved three areas
of our squad, and that's what we have to give
up to do it. A Day three draft pick and
a couple of coins. Are you kidding me? So doing
this on live TV? I mean you think Adam silvercares hell? No, right,
(57:29):
he's looking at the broadcasting rights, he's got Charles Barkley
threatening to quit, he's got bigger fish to fry man.
He's talking about the billions and billions of dollars that
are now going to be flowing into the league. So yeah,
I mean, you can look at each other, smile and
say the quiet part out loud. I don't think the
NBA will do a damn thing.
Speaker 3 (57:48):
I'm intrigued. I mean, it is the rules or you're
gonna have to weigh.
Speaker 4 (57:52):
You're gonna have to see in. I mean, listen, I
think the one thing I like Adam Bounce about Adam
Silver is he's realistic.
Speaker 3 (58:04):
Come on, guys, you're getting too wild. Joelle. You know
you can't just go on and.
Speaker 4 (58:09):
Recruit this guy in front of everybody, So I do
think something will happen. The rules are rules, and guess what,
every team that had been penalized for tampering lost their marbles.
So no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, that
that that can't happen.
Speaker 3 (58:28):
That ain't it. And it's happening right in front of
our face.
Speaker 4 (58:31):
No no, no, no, no no no no no no,
don't don't do that now.
Speaker 3 (58:35):
Now.
Speaker 4 (58:35):
Question two, as I want to dive in a little more,
is Paul George under contract?
Speaker 1 (58:42):
No, he's a free agent.
Speaker 3 (58:44):
Is that tampering if he's a free agent?
Speaker 1 (58:48):
No?
Speaker 2 (58:48):
No's are you not technically a free agent until the
new calendar year?
Speaker 3 (58:53):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (58:54):
I guess some of the semantics of it, right, and
and the letter of the law versus spirit of the law.
Because he's also I mean as a guy who isn't
a a an executive or team official.
Speaker 1 (59:08):
Do we look at it differently? I mean, because we
know the players talk to each other.
Speaker 3 (59:12):
No, no, no, yeah, no, I know in theory right,
doing it.
Speaker 4 (59:17):
In the meat now now, I think what you're saying
too is like, okay, dude, where does it stop?
Speaker 6 (59:22):
Right?
Speaker 2 (59:22):
I mean, we know this is happening on the Banana boat.
I mean, come on, I mean he can do whatever
you want. See now, I got the image of the
Banana boat crew in all your minds across the globe.
Speaker 1 (59:33):
You're welcome.
Speaker 3 (59:34):
Oh gosh.
Speaker 2 (59:36):
I did that for America. I did that for the
world on a Saturday morning, because you know what, people
need more laughs in their lives.
Speaker 1 (59:43):
Here. There's no question about it.
Speaker 3 (59:46):
It's actually America. You just say it with the America.
Speaker 1 (59:48):
Oh okay, so I have to drop the A to say.
Speaker 3 (59:52):
It, right, yeah, America, you do that right.
Speaker 2 (59:54):
Well, let me ask this then, all right, if if
Paul George can leave and we have to get rid
of all of those great billboards as they go to
the into it of the street lights this you know,
over spotlights, which was always the dumbest ad slogan ever. Hey,
here's two guys we're paying over five hundred million dollars
in salary to but street lights over spotlights. Come on now,
(01:00:16):
get out of here with that. Mark Stein was with
us earlier this week. There's two coaching things that are
kind of interesting coming out of these final both related
to guys. I'm currently employed by the Celtics one Jeff
van Gundy, who's a special assistant advising Missoula as well
as Brian Stevens, that he may leave to become part
(01:00:36):
of Tylo's staff with the Clippers. Meanwhile, there's a path
that Sam Cassel leaves and not to be the Lakers
head coach currently nine to one odds, but he would
go to the bench alongside Darvin Ham and the aforementioned
Doc Rivers.
Speaker 3 (01:00:56):
Yeah, there's just a lot going on, man, how about that? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:00:58):
The NBABA a soap opera, man, there it is. There
is a lot oking Listen. I'm here for it. I
think the one thing is you call it the coaching carousel,
and it's always going to be active in the NBA
because unfortunately it's it's one of the least secure jobs
that you can have. You're paid quite handsomely, so no
one's gonna feel sorry for you the way that you
(01:01:20):
may expect. But at the end of the day, I
think it's, uh, it's good for the sport. But you know, hey,
there there's a lot of movement in drama, and you
know it's tough because a lot of these guys when
they get fired, it's it's it's truth, is it's not
fair or you know, you're asking what are the qualifications
of a good job?
Speaker 3 (01:01:39):
What? What else were you supposed to do?
Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
Are you speaking directly for Darvin Ham in that moment?
Speaker 3 (01:01:46):
Yeah, yeah, him, Yeah, Well that's I mean, I mean, we're.
Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
Plenty of guys where it's like, and we do this
in every sport, like that guy got a one and done.
Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
It's like, why how.
Speaker 4 (01:01:58):
Many times have the coach of the year been fired?
I mean several times, it's.
Speaker 2 (01:02:04):
Right, whereas in other organization you get a very long
headre It's like he took us to a finals once,
we can't get rid of him, and you keep blowing
from there. But yeah, the carousel just starting to spin
from the assistant side of things, and certainly free agencies
still a ways away. But had to highlight the little
Joel embiid back and forth and what really is quote
(01:02:24):
unquote tampering. Now one story that did pop up yesterday.
Major League Baseball's got a problem. They've got an umpire
who's been kept off the field here in twenty twenty four,
they released a statement that leads to a lot of questions.
Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
But since you were in.
Speaker 2 (01:02:37):
The league when the NBA went through a scandal similarly,
got to get your thoughts on that, But first, why
don't we kick it over to our guy, Isaac Lowan
crowd get an update of what's going on in our
sporting universe.
Speaker 9 (01:02:49):
Thank you, Mike and Ryan. We actually have some fresh
NFL news today has multiple outlets reported that Cincinnati Bengals
receiver T Higgins is signing his franchise tender today and
is therefore a report for the start of training camp
later this summer. In Game four the NBA Finals on
Friday night, the Dallas Mavericks state alive with a thirty
eight point whatever the Boston Celtics one twenty two to
(01:03:11):
eighty four. Celtics still lead the series three games to
one and will host Game five on Monday.
Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
Elsewhere.
Speaker 9 (01:03:17):
After Game four on Friday night, Charles Barkley had this
announcement to make you know.
Speaker 8 (01:03:22):
That's been a lot of noise around on network the
last few months, and I just want to say I've
talked to all the other networks, but I ain't going
nowhere other than TNT. But I have made the decision myself,
no matter what happens, next year is going to be
my last year on television.
Speaker 9 (01:03:40):
Now Today, TNT issued a statement reading, quote, Charles is
a Hall of Famer and broadcasting icon who is and
will always be a beloved member of the TNT Sports family.
We're looking forward to another fantastic NBA on TNT season
and further discussion of our future plans with him unquote. Unfortunately,
(01:04:05):
the Women of San Antonio are yet to issue a
statement on Barkley's apparent retirement. After two rounds of the
US Open, Sweden's Ludwig Obert has delighted five under par overall,
one shot ahead of Bryson to Shambo, Patrick Cantley and
Thomas Dietrie of Belgium. They will all tee off round
three at around three p thirty Eastern time this afternoon.
(01:04:28):
Mike and Ryan.
Speaker 2 (01:04:31):
So much, Ilo at Isaac Low and Cron where you
find him? Angel City FC broadcaster getting ready.
Speaker 1 (01:04:36):
For Houston tonight.
Speaker 9 (01:04:38):
You got the Houston roll La against Holland's Houston team.
Speaker 1 (01:04:42):
So are we gonna get a bat? You know? Like,
I'm literally out of you. I'm literally not dude, Are
you kidding me?
Speaker 9 (01:04:50):
You're awful arrogant down there in Houston after I destroyed
you with the in and out whataburger argument.
Speaker 1 (01:04:58):
See, I just wanted to lead it in scot.
Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
I really just wanted to lead it into the next
topic discussion with betting. But we do have something a
punishment being gold out because you did use the word
tender in your update.
Speaker 1 (01:05:11):
We're gonna have a food it.
Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
I'm in about fifteen minutes and to see how the
crew and you, Ryan Hollins, how you would navigate a
very special punishment. And I use the word punishment loosely
because I don't know. I think he kind of went
on the other side of it. But we'll talk about
that in a few minutes. We also have a guy
who's a big winner, even if he is potentially the
(01:05:33):
biggest loser in the National Hockey League. But the story
out of Major League Baseball yesterday is that you have
an umpire that has been kept off of the base
paths this year, a man by the name of Pat
Hoberg who actually had a perfect World Series game that
try balls and strikes. He had a perfect game. In
(01:05:55):
the wake of how many times we talk about bringing
robot umpires in and all of the other things that
go through as you watch games. Boe doing his Dodgers podcast.
I'm sure ball strikes and decisions made by umpires gets
discussed from time to time in terms of, you know,
pitching acumen and a flow of a game, much like
(01:06:16):
we were talking about officiating Ryan related to Luka Doncics
and physicality and NBA play. But during this there's a
statement from Major League Baseball. During this year spring training,
Major League Baseball commenced an investigation regarding the potential violation
of MLB's sports betting policies by umpire Pat Hobert. Hoburger
was removed from the field during the pendency. I haven't
(01:06:39):
seen the word pendency in writing, so it may be
take pauses say of that investigation, Well, I've heard it.
Speaker 1 (01:06:45):
It just doesn't sound right.
Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
While like impending investigation or pending investigation seem more appropriate.
While MLB's investigation, here's the key line, because I want
to take this to the NBA and go back to
the Donneghie situation. While MLB's investigator did not find any
evidence that games worked by mister Hoberg were compromised or
manipulated in any way, MLB determined that discipline was warranted.
(01:07:09):
He's choosing to appeal that determination and we cannot comment
any further, and so he goes on from there. So okay,
they they don't find any any evidence of malpractice, manipulation,
whatever term you want to use on his part while
he's umpiring games. Again, he had a perfecto, so you know,
one of those that could have been the walkoff moment.
(01:07:30):
But now that statement leads me to believe that you
have potential for other officials names to potentially circle in
as part of these investigations, much like we had, you know,
the names of gambling outfits and everything else during the
Epay Masahara and Shoho Tani thing. But go back to
(01:07:51):
the Donneghy thing. You know how much around the league
at that point, Ryan, you were new to the NBA,
you know, as that started flowing around, did everybody kind
to look side eyes at everybody in the officiating game
as information of that started to swirl.
Speaker 4 (01:08:09):
I think there's so much complaining about the officials already
that it kind.
Speaker 1 (01:08:14):
Of gets lost a little bit in the.
Speaker 4 (01:08:16):
Wash, and you you just kind of stay out of it,
you know. But there's already enough frustration or they don't
make a call, or they don't like me, or they
don't this or you know, I'm the number of other guys.
Speaker 3 (01:08:28):
I knew it. I knew it, I knew it. You know.
Speaker 4 (01:08:30):
So the dismay for some of the officials that's already
at such a high that I don't think you know,
you're going, oh wow, this happened this, and you know, hey,
there may be some guys that can kind of glean
back and go, hold on, I played in this game,
and this costs me this, this and this.
Speaker 2 (01:08:49):
You know so, but you start to extrapolate, right, one
win here, one win there, start talking about potentially, you know,
to say you missed the playoffs by two or three games,
and you can go back and point to you know,
that didn't look quite right. Look, I go back to
my Northwestern squad. I graduated ninety five. Nineteen ninety four.
There was a huge point shaving scandal actually involved a
(01:09:10):
bunch of guys I knew, which is really oh wow.
It was really disheartening. And there were guys I used
to get road tickets from. I had no idea, but
as it started to break, I was fully prepared to
be made the fall guy. Fortunately I was not. I
had no knowledge, and it broke my heart and still,
all these years later, there's you know, still you know,
some shock and awe that none of us in the
(01:09:32):
building that would sit and watch NFL games or whatever
had any idea that this was going on. What was
funny is we raised money for an event called dance Marathon.
A lot of schools have these, right twenty four hours,
you picked the charity that you're dancing for. We actually
made my T shirts of one of the guys from
the basketball side of things that on the back. When
(01:09:52):
he'd come to quote study and work on group projects,
it would immediately become the Sega genesis, would get fired
up and goes, so, I bet I could beat you.
Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
We put that on the back of a shirt.
Speaker 3 (01:10:04):
I bet you.
Speaker 2 (01:10:05):
I bet I could beat you in Sega was the
It was the line that he would use, and it
had a caricature on the front. It got some notoriety
from the Northwestern Paper and the Sun Times, and then
he ends up becoming one of the focal points of
this thing.
Speaker 1 (01:10:17):
Oh my god, how crazy is that?
Speaker 2 (01:10:21):
But just showing I mean it's been persistent, I mean,
and that and that goes back thirty years at this point,
I mean, you're talking, you know, the the long gestation
of this, but you go back to singular plays. On
the football side, there was a fumble where the guy
literally dropped the ball at the goal line against Iowa,
and it was one we had a family thing. We
normally went to the road games. That one we were
(01:10:42):
watching on TV. Our brothers and I looked at each
other and went, what the hell was that? No contact,
no injury, not like he you know, ripped a hamstring
and was now you know, flailing on the ground as
the ball went into the end zone.
Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
Was wait? What?
Speaker 2 (01:10:58):
And that became the focal point. So I gotta imagine
as a player, you know, sometimes there might be a
little hindsight twenty twenty going, wait, I remember that call
and that guy, and you know, you wonder how much
you know coming out of this with Major League Baseball
when they say, hey, we couldn't find anything in his games, Well,
you still kept him off the field for the first
several months, even after calling a perfect World Series game.
Speaker 1 (01:11:20):
So clearly you found something.
Speaker 2 (01:11:22):
And we're all we're all smart enough to try to,
you know, add one in one, Like I gotta imagine
you got some other umpires feeling pretty nervous right now.
That an investigation is going to be knocking on their
door any day if they haven't already, and we just
don't have that disclosed.
Speaker 4 (01:11:37):
Yeah, that's got to be, uh, you know, a scary
place to be in. You know, just don't do it.
Speaker 3 (01:11:46):
You know.
Speaker 4 (01:11:46):
For me, I always think about what the big the
big end result is or okay, I did a little bit,
let me, let me stop. It's just not smart.
Speaker 1 (01:11:54):
But I guess you reward maybe.
Speaker 4 (01:11:57):
Yeah, risk first reward is right, but it's you know,
it is it's it's it's tough, and you know, challenges
the integrity of the sport, and you know, you may
see more of these things arise. Why because gambling is
accessible and it's right there on your phone.
Speaker 3 (01:12:13):
Dude.
Speaker 4 (01:12:14):
See before you'd have to go find a bookie, you know,
go go place bats worked over, you can do this
stuff right on your phone. So I'm hoping the athletes
stay away from it. They see that it's it's it's
not worth it at the end of the day, and
you know, yeah, it's it's it's kind of honestly, it's
kind of crazy to see.
Speaker 2 (01:12:34):
I mean, you had minor leaguers suspended. One guy, former
pirate now Padre suspended for life. Evidently one four percent
of his bets in route to being banned for life.
I don't know how statistically you even get to where
you were winning four percent, except unless you're really going
down the sixteen parlay highway there, Ryan Hollins, because otherwise,
(01:12:57):
just flip the coin, like we were discussing a little
bit earlier.
Speaker 1 (01:13:00):
He's Ryan Hollins, I'm Mike Carmen.
Speaker 2 (01:13:02):

Speaker 1 (01:13:26):
Now.
Speaker 2 (01:13:27):
Coming up next, we'll see how much your stomach and
your digestive system loves you because we've got yes, the
doling out of fantasy football punishments or is it really
a blessing.
Speaker 1 (01:13:38):
We'll see.
Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
We'll talk about that with the crew and with my guy,
Ryan Hollins. Coming up next I'm Mike Carmen. This is
Fox Sports Saturday. Welcome back in Fox Sports Radios. Fox
Sports Saturday, Mike Carmen alongside Ryan Hollins. Find us in
the Twitter verse at the Ryan Hollins at Swollen Gnome.
Of course, always follow at Fox Sports Radio for what's
(01:13:59):
coming up, because at about fifteen minutes you got our guy,
Jonas Knox. He leads you through you hear him every morning,
two Pros and a cup of Joe. He's with you
here on Saturday. All the usual shenanigans and fun topics
that Jonas gets into. Keep it tuned, locked in wherever
you're heading. Take it on the iHeartRadio app if you
decided you need to walk the dog, or get a
(01:14:20):
little bit of exercise or run some errands on a Saturday.
Keep the line moving as it were, Ryan and I'll
be back tomorrow six am Pacific time. More for the
NBA Finals, all of the different storylines across the NBA,
Trevor Lawrence getting paid. There's so much going on, so
much of a rich time of year, but it's also
that time. I told you I'm in the middle, in
(01:14:42):
the throes of one of these industry leagues, mock drafts already,
Ryan Allins round twelve, and my roster is clean, all right.
I got a lot of high risk, high reward guys
because I like to live life on the edge in
fake football. That doesn't cost me anything except my reputation.
So I got a bunch of guys fighting for contracts,
(01:15:03):
a bunch of guys that are fighting all over the place.
But we're wrapping up. You know, some of the guys
for last season are still well. They're paying off their
league futility. And it's only appropriate that we do this
story in a week where we had Joey Chestnut and
the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest as part of it. Now,
he signed a deal with a brand who's gotten far
(01:15:27):
too much equity for me to give out their name
for free.
Speaker 1 (01:15:30):
On the show. But let's just say it's a rival.
Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
So he may or may not participate in the July
fourth festivities. There's already a showdown with the old ruler
of the land, Kobayashi, set for Labor Day weekend. Again,
everybody trying to get paid, everybody getting their money. But
here's a guy that posted yesterday about a fantasy football
league punishment for finishing last and it's already got three
(01:15:57):
million views, So we're gonna bring it Isaac bo and
Chris to talk about this one because it's an interesting
strategy point.
Speaker 1 (01:16:06):
And I sent this all to all of you.
Speaker 2 (01:16:08):
He's got to go and spend twenty four hours at McDonald's,
but he can eat his way out, now, hear me out.
Speaker 1 (01:16:18):
I sent you the menu and they want the guys
in the league agreed to these times, and there is
a time associated with each item from breakfast all the
way through desserts that if he consumes said item, he
can reduce the amount of time he has to spend
in said McDonald's. Now this is a glorious thing.
Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
Now it comes down to gluttoney and how much you
know the capacity is there? I mean, Ryan, you've always
had a very fast metabolism. You and I have talked
about this quite a bit during your playing days and
even in the post post playing days, still lean and
mean and.
Speaker 1 (01:16:57):
Rocking the three piece suit like no other. Whre would
you start on the menu? Brother? Where would you start?
Speaker 3 (01:17:04):
Gosh?
Speaker 2 (01:17:05):
To give folks an example, you get a forty five
minute reduction for a quarter pound or with cheese for
a double quarter pounder with cheese.
Speaker 1 (01:17:11):
You're taking off a full hour.
Speaker 3 (01:17:14):
Well, you got to start with breakfast, you know, you
can't the most important meal of the day. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I mean bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. Yeah. I'm throwing
down four of those.
Speaker 1 (01:17:24):
Yeah, So that's getting you forty five minutes to pop
right there?
Speaker 3 (01:17:28):
Yeah? Yeah, you do four? Yeah, do four of those,
and do four of those.
Speaker 2 (01:17:32):
And you said that without blinking. Yeah, and he is
seven feet tall, he's big mountain.
Speaker 3 (01:17:37):
Big breakfast with hot cakes.
Speaker 4 (01:17:40):
That's really tempting because it's it's it's one hundred and
twenty minutes.
Speaker 3 (01:17:45):
It's tempting. But I think you can only do one
of those.
Speaker 4 (01:17:47):
So maybe I do four of those and then tip
myself with another one and then you know, I'm gonna
eat the three four hours and let you know, let
it pass through. Maybe do some exercise in there, run
some sprints in the McDonald's.
Speaker 2 (01:18:01):
Now that's that. That would be a sight. What's that guy?
He's got a sauna suit on. You just made boat
and crack?
Speaker 1 (01:18:10):
What do you think? What do you think of that?
How would you feel if you were at McDonald's.
Speaker 2 (01:18:17):
Hey, I mean I must know he's got a fantasy
football punishment going on. Either that or I mean he's
got to he's an influencer, try and to make his mark.
You mentioned that this guy has to pay for his
own food, right, I think that's part of the gages. Yeah,
that changes it for that turns me into the Oakland
Athletics where I gotta find the inefficiencies and the menu here.
Speaker 1 (01:18:38):
Did you find one that stood out?
Speaker 2 (01:18:40):
Yeah, the the quarter pounder with cheese is only fifteen
minutes less than the double quarter pounder, So I think
you got to go with that. But if we're paying
it for yourself, the mcdouble is the way to go
two for four. Just throw those back as much as
you can. Yeah, from a cash out like a Chris.
Speaker 10 (01:18:57):
I'm going for the mcchickens. I don't First off, I
don't know why all of the chicken sandwiches are the
same price on here if I wasn't, So here's.
Speaker 1 (01:19:04):
Each Friday forty five minute reduction.
Speaker 10 (01:19:07):
I would go during the Lent when I know the
file of fish is like two fifty, because that's forty
five minutes on here. I crushed two of those on
a Friday in Lent. Every year. I think the sausage
burritos for breakfast. Yeah, you can get four of them
like each one, and they're small and each one's thirty minutes.
But definitely I got to stay away from any kind
of fries. The McNuggets, like the mgnonic McMug nugget.
Speaker 2 (01:19:30):
One is just evidently you can get a five minute
reduction by playing in the ball pitch.
Speaker 1 (01:19:34):
What do you think?
Speaker 9 (01:19:34):
Byline, And we actually do have some breaking news. This
jentleman has just begun his odyssey. His first order is
in and it is two orders of the big breakfast
platter and the seventeen orders of hash brown Wow.
Speaker 10 (01:19:51):
Hash Browns are twenty five minutes each. I don't Yeah,
you're going to fill yourself up on the potatoes. I
think it's yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (01:19:58):
Think it's good. But the hash Browns are expect okay.
Speaker 4 (01:20:01):
But but there you go, guys, if you're getting reduction,
I'm going to be in the ball pit, running high
knee drills and getting in shape.
Speaker 1 (01:20:07):
Hey wait, wait to go, Russell Wilson.
Speaker 10 (01:20:09):
Way to make that still McDonald's that has a ballpit.
Speaker 1 (01:20:12):
The other thing we've.
Speaker 2 (01:20:13):
Learned now is that there's no outlets at this McDonald's
he's eating at so we're he's gonna run out of
power eventually.
Speaker 1 (01:20:18):
We're not going to know.
Speaker 2 (01:20:19):
Oh wow, Well, I mean he's got hopefully he's got
a couple of brick chargers and he's got them all
charged up and ready to go. I can't wait to
chronicle this so and we'll get to updated tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (01:20:30):
Ryan Hollins, you I think I could go fifteen deep
on double cheeseburgers.
Speaker 3 (01:20:33):
They're small, that's the way to go.
Speaker 2 (01:20:34):
All right, We'll keep reevaluating this and maybe we'll see
how this flows. And now I've wetted everybody's appetite. Thank you, Iilo,
thank you both. Thank you Chris making us sound so
pretty Thanks Ryan, I'll see you in the morning. Enjoy
your sports Saturday folks. Jonas Knox coming up next here
on Fox Sports Radio.
