Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio. Greetings and welcome in.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Another beautiful NFL Sunday is upon us, and we'll see
if they can possibly match the chaos and conundrums and
heartaches and heartbreaks and well need for an acid that
we saw throughout the college football landscape yesterday.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Welcome in. It's Fox Football Sundawn.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Mike Carmen alongside me, my guy Greg Cosl forty six
years NFL films the NFL Matchup Show. You hear them
on the network on Thursdays one pm Eastern, along side
Colin Cowherd to break down fifteen minutes to twenty minutes.
They usually try to stretch that and squeeze a little bit.
You better be getting paid by the minutet, Greg Cosal,
otherwise we'll have to tap some words over there.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
How are you, buddy?

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Hey, I think you need to be in my agent, Mike.
That's what we need to do going forward.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
I'll be happy to walk in.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
I got to get one of those from myself, by
the way I ran it, So if you got recommendations,
let me know.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
I do not actually never had one.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Yeah, we're gone down that path. I had a couple
of conversations and they're like, well, we're going to take
whatever percentage of what you're already making. When we re
up like, well that doesn't make any sense. Why should
I give you money?

Speaker 1 (01:10):
That I heard.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
It's like, you want to talk about the augment, you know,
a larger percentage of the extra money is.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Let's talk about it.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
But like we have at it now, we've had seventeen
football games in the National Football League since we last
spoke yesterday. College football just one turn and twist after
another in the plot towards the playoffs there, so certainly
upset in minded a lot of red ink next to
the heavyweights this week on the NFL slate. We feel better.

(01:38):
We'll get back to that Thursday game. I took another
trip around the sun earlier in the week, celebrated a birthday.
So the following day when a couple of forty something
started winging the ball around effortlessless, effortlessless lee more so
than I can use the word.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Effort eff effortlessly.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Yeah on, hey, the coffee hasn't kicked in just yet.
That you know, I felt a little younger again. The
longer they played, the better I feel about things. But
this week, we're blessed with five games featuring teams with
winning records. That might be a high as we go
forward next week, a lot of teams on buy. We've
got Buffalo and Baltimore the only two teams taking the

(02:18):
week off in Baltimore in theory, back towards full strength
a week from now when the Bears travel to Baltimore.
I'll be in attendance for that one to see the
chaos unfold in person. Greg, but pretty good slate pillar
to post the one thing that's out here and Brianna
and Mark and I were talking about before we came
on air. A lot of weather impacted games today, or

(02:40):
at least that's what the Doppler radar is telling me.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Yeah, I guess in Cleveland it's supposed to be pretty bad.
What are the other games that should be problematic?

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Well, I mean you're looking at old jolly old London.
We're talking about Chicago. There's the chance of storms there,
tennessee some thunderstorms the Jets, perhaps some showers later on, just.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
A lot of a lot of red and then yeah,
go ahead, Mike.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
I've never been a big fan. It's just personal. Obviously,
some people love it. I'm not a big fan of
weather games because you know, I've always been a guy
that loves seeing the athletes be able to play at
their highest level of athleticism. And when it's a rain
game or a snow game. And I know a lot
of people love snow games, but they don't normally work
for me. I like to see the guys really be

(03:30):
able to play the way their athletic traits can allow
them to play.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yeah, it might look good on TV, right, particularly snow games.
And when the dopes in the crowd start saying, hey,
look how tough I am, and they get all bare chested,
as Kevin Harlan would say, and start enjoying the elements,
that's all find and good. That game in Cleveland adds
something spectacular because the rumors of a forty mile an
hour wind. Yeah, when you got a guy that, let's

(03:55):
face it, Dylan Gabriel is not cutting through a three
mile an hour wind with somelocity.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
He's not going to cut through a forty mile narrow win.
But his arms a little better.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
But you know, you just being you know, being smart Aleca.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Yeah, yeah, but a guy who's not.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
One that's pushing the ball down the field. I guess
was the No. No, no, it's not impacting their game
plan necessarily.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Yeah, they don't play they don't play that way anyway.
But wait, aren't they playing Cleveland? I mean, aren't they
playing Miami?

Speaker 1 (04:23):
They are playing Miami, which, yeah, alter Judkins and let
him run.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Yeah, and two is not a guy with a power
on either, So that'll do. That'll be an interesting game.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yeah, a couple of lefties which we don't get to
see very oft.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Yeah, what was the last I wonder when the last
time that happened? A good south.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Pause anybody that faced off against Michael Vick at some point.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Yeah, it's been a while.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
All right, We're gonna have to get our crack research
staff on that one as we as we go. But
we look at the slight ahead. Some great games on
the board. We'll go through the mall, we'll talk about
some of the film, uh film work, and let's go
back to Thursday Night where on the winning side. Yes,
it's Joe Flacco making things happen.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Shotgun snap Flaco floats went high into the air, left
side at the end zone, Chase going to the ground,
makes the catch. There's a penalty flag in the end zone,
hits on Pittsburgh touchdown Bengals.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Now this game drifted into the thirties when it was
all said and done. But we saw Joe Flacco's arm
strength on display. The fact that we've got a guy
many two thousand and eight draft class, the great blue
hen that he is. He's been working with these guys
for several days. They showed him on his commercial flight

(05:40):
heading to Cincinnati and immediately getting to work twenty three
targets for Jamar Chase Ye talking about making a heavy
work for your playmakers. But everybody got involved and suddenly
that Chase Brown running element became part of the game plan. Here, Greg,
is this enough to jumpstart them? And what is a
topsy turvy AFC North?

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Well, the one thing about Flacco, I mean, there's two
things that always stand out about Flacco. And by the way, Mike,
he'll probably be able to throw the ball like that
when he's seventy years old. It just looks so easy,
doesn't It looks like it's, to use your favorite word,
it looks effortless, doesn't it.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
You hate me.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
But the thing that really stands out about Flacco, and
it's really important for this team with their two really
good wide receivers. Chase is obviously one of the best
there is, and Higgins would probably be a number one
on many other teams. Is Joe has tremendous timing and anticipation.
He will throw the ball into windows, and he does
that at a really really high level, and he will

(06:43):
always throw the ball to one on one on the outside,
and so he gives his receivers an opportunity. Think about
that play that's set up the winning field goal by
McLaughlin when he hit Higgins for twenty eight yards on
that big play. It was Higgins as the boundary X,
the single receiver to the short side of the field,
and Jalen Ramsey was playing outside in press man coverage,

(07:07):
and it doesn't matter to Joe. He'd throw it against anybody,
and he threw the go route and obviously Higgins caught
it and they got down and then kicked the field goal.
So he's going to give Chase and Higgins opportunities, which
we're not really happening that much with Jake Browning, who's
obviously a different player. But Joe will do that and

(07:27):
I think, look, I don't think Chase will get twenty
three targets every week, but he's going to throw in
the ball.

Speaker 5 (07:32):
No.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
It's a fun part of it though, is to see
you know, able to pull the strings because we see
Chase Brown only eleven carries, but we saw the explosive
runs and the big plays. Now looking for more out
beyond the two big guys. Noah Fan had a touchdown
catch tight ends all around here. For those in the
wagering community, if you bet tight ends to catch a

(07:55):
lot of passes and touchdowns, you're swimming in money on
this Sunday more but just looking at spring the ball around,
but really just trusting your big receivers. Just after a
couple of days of work, thirty one to forty seven overall,
only two sacks. That was the thing that stood out
to you. Yes, Yeah, was that the frustration from the

(08:15):
Pittsburgh defensive line. A lot of credit to what Cincinnati
did in the fact that Flacco just said, all right,
I know I'm on one one thousand and two one thousand,
get the ball out live to see another play, but
get the ball out fast.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
Yeah, And I think that that was something that a
lot of us probably thought that he'd be sacked a
good amount, but he just gets the ball out. He
sees things. I mean to me, a great play that
kind of got lost in just the way the game
was played out was when he at Yoshavash for thirty
seven yards on a third down late in the third quarter.
And they basically bracketed Higgins and Chase on that play

(08:51):
with the safeties driving down hard to you know whether
it was a pure double or just a bracket the
way it played out, and he immediately saw and he
went over the top up to Yoshovatz, who is one
on one versus Slay. I mean, those are the kinds
of things Flack coaches, having been around for so long,
he sees instantaneously. And you know, thirty seven yards is
a big play in this league.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Three for forty nine overall for the third year man
out of.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Princeton, Princeton, yep.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
So I mean we've got to celebrate that. He was
one of those guys, you know, when I do the
fantasy talking up before the season, Greg thinking that Joe
Burrow would be upright for a while, like there's your ninja.
They'll do what they can to take away the two
guys on the boundaries and maybe he can make some play.
So hopefully with Joe Flacco's arm, they're able to get
that going. But interesting times as they get to three

(09:37):
and four, let's go to the other side of the
equation and another gun slinger.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Rogers gets a snap back pressure coming deludes, it fires
out to.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Your talk on fire Tibo crazy at the left sideline,
the twenty the ten.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
The five touchdown fireboats want to play sixty eight yards.
Rogers with the late.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Magic five catches one hundred leven yards two touchdowns. In
cleaning that sixty eight yard rumble stumble and you know
the coverage opened up and there was Friarmouth ready to
make them pay. They get good balance as well. Rogers
twenty three thirty four for the Night two forty nine.
A little back and forth and everybody, I think blew

(10:18):
out of proportion with the offensive lineman. I think if
I had a three hundred and fifty pound guy jumping
on my back, knowing the issues that I have as
I am an older man, that's it. All it takes
is a little bit of jostling and something could get
thrown out of whack. Why would you trust that I
agree with Aaron Rodgers, Hey, stay off me.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
We got something good going.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Well. You know, it's funny because they're they're not really
and we all want to focus on Rogers for obvious reasons,
but they're not a true passing team in a strict sense,
and they really don't push the ball down the field
a lot, just in the normal way they play. I
thought the run game was really important here. You know,
you could almost make the argument obviously, I've watched every
game of Theirs. Darnell Washington the tight end. Now, he

(11:02):
doesn't catch a lot of passes. He did catch a
touchdown in this game, but he doesn't catch a lot
of passes. They don't even use him as a receiver
very much. But he is such a good run blocker
and he is absolutely critical to their run game. They
ran outside in this game, and almost every of one
of those good outside runs featured a dominating block by
Washington on a defensive end. And when you have a

(11:25):
defensive end, when you have a tight end that can
block defensive ends, you've got an awful lot positive in
your run game. And that's what stood out watching the tape.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Greg.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
They list him at six seven sixty four. I buy
him that two sixty four. That guy's three spins.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Come on, you think he weighs, you think there's a
few more pounds than sixty four.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
That's a big man going into the pass. He had
five pass yeah past targets this week. That's a third
of his season total, but a little bit of reward
for the work he was doing getting Jalen Warren.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Well, you know what's funny you mentioned the five targets.
You know, in some ways you could say there's a
problem because you know who else only had five targets
Metcalf and I think they need to target Metcalf more
than five times.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Yeah, it's that winning and winning his outside routes. That's
one of the questions I guess would come out of
this game because we know we reputation. Reality versus reputation,
I guess comes into play right the I mean, we've
held it for Rogers for years. What's in what do
they feel in a locker room versus what the outside

(12:27):
world projects for DK Metcalf. A little of that traveling
with him as well in terms of I mean he's
a wide receiver, He's a number one wide receiver. Yeah,
and if you're not seeing the ball consistently generally that
begets issues.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
No.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Two things. Number One, they hit him on an out
and go on the first series versus Turner, who what
by the way, lined up over a pretty much all game.
But they hit him on an out and go for
thirty nine yards on the first series. Then they really
didn't come back to him. He was not really a
factor in the game. But you know, the Steelers are
very interesting offen they play. They played the highest percentage

(13:02):
of what we call thirteen personnel in the NFL three
tight ends on the field. This is not a team
that plays a lot with three wide receivers on the field. Now,
obviously that's a choice they have made, that's a philosophy,
but they're not really despite having Aaron Rodgers, they are
not really a passing team at their core.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
That was one of the curiosities I think, as you
bring him in and whatever last year was with Russell
Wilson and Justin Fields, We've got plenty on Justin We'll
have a minute on Justin Fields a little bit later on.
But that you don't really have another wide receiver like that,
I don't want to say scares you, but for the

(13:42):
common language that it's there. Calvin Austin's been hurt. But
then you're looking at Roman Wilson's scotar right, the old
Northwestern kid, but you don't really have it Scotty Miller
who had some big plays once upon a time in Tampa,
but you didn't really go out and grab another wide
receiver for Rogers. That seemed a bit odd if you're
going to bring him in to not utilize what he does.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Yeah, I mean, obviously, in this game because of injury,
they were playing Wilson a lot and Scottie Miller got
a lot of snaps and Scaronic has been there and
he's you know, he's one of those solid players, but
you don't want to play in thirty or forty snaps
in a game. Yeah. So, other than Metcalf, who obviously
they traded for in the offseason, in this particular game,
they didn't have their wide receiver corps. But it'll be

(14:27):
interesting to see how they play going forward. Obviously they're
still four and two. They're a good team, and they
do have Rodgers and Rogers. The thing that his superpower
is that he controls the game pre snap at the
line of scrimmage. He's very, very good at that. He's
incredibly intelligent, but they're ultimately lacking weapons and they need

(14:48):
to have some semblance of a run game, and they
did in this game. Don't forget they did score over thirty.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
No, sure, of course, No, that's certainly not lost on me. Again,
I was on air with Jason Smith on between all
the baseball heroics of the week, that was that Thursday
night game. I was telling Breonna before we came on air.
Other than the I mean, I was enamored with the
white tiger look, but that was one of the most
entertaining games going yep that we've seen, the back and

(15:15):
forth and big play capability, I guess to some degree, Greg,
when we look at what their offense is, when you've
got friar Mouth and you've got John new Smith, who
is what eighty eight catches a year ago, if they're healthy,
then I mean, you got guys that can make plays,
but you just don't have that game breaker.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Now in both those guys. And that's the thing. I
think that's one reason they play a lot with multiple
tight ends, besides the fact they don't have great wide
receivers right now. But both Friarmuth and John new Smith
can basically detach from the formation. They're kind of sort
of tight end slash wide receivers in the way they
can be deployed within the context of an offense, but
still they are not wide receivers. They don't present the

(15:55):
same kind of problems to a defense that a true
wide receiver would.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
What a fantastic opener for Week seven. Hopefully we're ready
to with our popcorn for a ton more later on today.

Yeah, I love a little Boston though there Mike to
get us back in.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
You know, it's a good one.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
Didn't expect that little adun't look back to get don't
look he was.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Telling me, you know, just Mark. Mark was basically saying,
all right, Thursday's gone, let's start looking at the rest
of the slate.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
I got other analysis to get to. But yeah, I
mean that's a great strain of that guitar. I mean, certainly,
no question about it.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
I'm Schultz. He was the main guy in Boston.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
See, now we're going down that rabbit.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
We can we can go deep into the little classic
rock like well.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
You know, because it was it was a tough week
right with the passing.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
Of Ace Freely was.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
Really rocking out to a bunch of that. And look,
my kids got introduced to the music of Kiss a
little bit for me in my playlist, Greg. But they
also did a collaboration with Scooby Doo a few years
back that my broad or just loved to death. Now,
I would question a couple of the song choices that

(19:29):
they made in terms of what their content is. But
it was animated beautifully and it remains part of the culture,
no question. You can buy it, I think for three
ninety nine online.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Right now.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
I know you, Mike, You're just gonna rock and roll
all night and party all day.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
Or damn right I am. I might be face painted
right now, studio. You have no idea.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Mike might have those giant dragon boots on while I'm
at it. But yeah, the classic rock thing I have
infected my children with, which is good.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Which is good. We got to keep that.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
It's a good thing. It's a good thing. You're right.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
Music when they made music, not that computers didn't exist,
but yet you had some trickeration with how you would
relay and over dub and all of that stuff. And
even watching documentaries on that because of a big nerd
is where you can get me to go down that
rabbit hole too.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Greg, I'm with you on that. I've watched those.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
Love it all right, we'll have that.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
That'll be a film session we do as the NFL
season when we say goodbye to it in February.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
But a lot of action.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Let to go later on today talk about the Rams
and Jaguars coming up in an hour. Two teams ranked
in the top ten when it comes to total team defense.
No Nakua for the Rams and this one ball security
has been a bit of an issue for the running
backs though Kyrin Williams top ten rusher. We look at
Travis etn and what he's been doing thus far on

(20:51):
the ground. Both of them from an offensive standpoint, they're
separated by one tenth of a point. But for the
Jacksonville offense continue, you know, just curiosity of trying to
find that second receiver. Did they finally find that when
with a healthy Tim Patrick a week.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Ago, Well, you know, I don't know if he's a
true number two. I think when I look at Jacksonville
and I think the concern for this given game. They
played Seattle last week and they could not protect very well,
and they couldn't protect very well against the Seahawks' four
down lineman rush. The Seahawks rarely blitzed, but they couldn't

(21:30):
protect very well at all. Do you know in that
game the Jaguars never got into the red zone one time.
That's very rare in an NFL game. And now they're
playing a Rams team, Mike, that has a really dominant
four man d line pass rush and they are one
of the highest percentage stunt teams in the league. They
have multiple stunt concepts with their defensive line. So to me,

(21:52):
I look at this game and I just wonder, the
Jaguars are absolutely going to need to shore up their
pass protection because quite frankly, they're just not very good
on third down, and that's where pass protection becomes a big,
big deal.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Conversely, we look at what Matthew Stafford and company have done.
I mean the fact that Pokin Daku was already fifty
receptions for the season. He'll miss this one as they
have the bye next week. We've got six teams on
by next week, so a lot of holes blown in
fantasy lineups and certainly a shorter slate of games for
us to peruse. But all that's say, you're looking at

(22:25):
Matthew Stafford right now, already up towards seventeen hundred passing
yards on the season, sixty seven percent completion rate, twelve
to two touchdown interception ratio. Last week was one. I
think I was a little bit eyebrow raising. I think
everybody expected them to just release the hounds and absolutely
obliterate a wounded ravens out animal. Instead, seventeen to three,

(22:49):
he goes for one to eighty one. It's the old
succeed in proceed Greg did. Sometimes style points don't matter, Ye,
take your w.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
And move on.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
Yeah, and it'll be interesting without Nakua because obviously he's
highly targeted. We know that he's a high volume receiver,
but it's the way they run their offense sort of
conceptually that is so critical here because Nikua is a
movement guy. He's so important to how they play because
they're a high percentage pre snap movement offense and Nkua

(23:18):
is the guy, not the only guy, but the main guy.
So now who's the player that will fill that role
or will they be less pre snap movement because they
don't feel that they have a player who can do that.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Yeah, it's the curiosity you got. DeVante Adams has been
fantastic for him, but yeah, Whittington to tu At well
are guys that slide up in the packing order in
that receiving game.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
So that'll be a curiosity.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
I think it'll be Whittington who they'll try in that
role and see how it goes. I mean, you know,
obviously they knew as of last week Niku was not
going to play this week, so Whittington probably got all
those reps in practice.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
Hanging out on those Camden Yard fields, which is one.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Of the right stayed there.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Do a weekly spot.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
In Baltimore, and so we were talking about that a
little bit that it was just kind of interesting and
people were complaining, get off the mound with your cleats
and things like all right, it's covered up and it's
not baseball season.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
You guys were long eliminated.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
But all of that, and then they did a spot
in Jacksville. It's like, well, what does that mean. It's like,
it just means coaches are trying to find something else
in the formula of how they approach these overseas games, right, right,
and not everybody has that level of trial and error
as the Jaguars have had low these many years. Right,
they've got it buttoned up, they've got their their sequencing

(24:39):
for McVeigh and company. They're trying to find any angle
they can and hanging out in Baltimore eating grab cakes
and practicing at Canden Yards something a little different.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
You still got to win the game. You know, it's
an NFL game and there's only seventeen of them.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
But that's it, right, So you're trying to find your angles.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
Yeah, and I don't know, I think I'd rather not
have Matthew Stafford on another cross country flight. You know,
say what we will about the Baltimore defense. He's taken
his licks and whenever you're worried about guys backs coming
into a year, whatever, I can keep him out of
a plane it's probably not the worst thing in the
world before you head overseas for another game. All right,

(25:18):
one that keeping an eye on, certainly personally the Chicago Bears,
coming off a big win Monday Night football. Once again,
they're the only team that's a graphic you probably saw
a million times over the course of the year, only
team to score twenty one or better and all their
games this year. I don't if you told me they
were going to be tenth in scoring at this point

(25:38):
in the league, I would have been surprised. Not that
there weren't going to be a work in progress, maybe
if we took the second half, but the fact that
it's come together. But they've been really good at taking
the football away the last few weeks. But for Caleb Williams,
what are you seeing on tape? Getting more come? I
guess more complete In terms of his reads With Ben

(26:00):
Johnson's offense.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
I think that he's, you know, gradually getting better. Don't
forget this. He started from scratch this year with a
brand new offense. It's as if he's a rookie, and
this is not an easy offense to deal with for
many different reasons. So I think that he's a work
in progress. I think there's some good, there's some not
so good. What's really interesting. And I've always believed first

(26:23):
down is the best down to throw because you get
more predictable fronts, more predictable coverage looks. He's been very
efficient throwing the ball on first down this year, and
I think that's one thing that Ben Jonson understands really
really well. You know, he's cut down dramatically on his sacks.
That's a really big deal. He's only been sacked ten
times in have they played? They played six games, right

(26:46):
or yeah, five five? Five? So they're three and two, right, right,
So he's only been sacked ten times. And we know
how much he was sacked a year ago. We know
how much he was sacked in college, and normally guys
who get sacked a lot in college tend to get
sacked a lot in the league, and surely that happened
a year ago. But he's cutting down on that. I
think they're doing a really good job with the route

(27:09):
concepts and the route combinations to present it clearly for him.
I mean, that swift fifty five yard touchdown was a
beautiful play design a third down, it ended up being
pitch and catch because of the play design. I think
one thing that one trade Williams must improve as he
gains more experience is sort of comfortable calculated pocket movement.

(27:30):
I'm not talking about Mike running out of the pocket.
I'm talking about the way guys sort of navigate the pocket.
You know, a step here, a slide here. They sort
of work in an area that's, you know, smaller than
a boxing ring, but kind of a small area. And
I think that, you know, his tendency right now is
to break down and start to look to escape. And
I think as he develops more and more, hopefully he

(27:52):
can become more calculating in his movement. But he's a
work in progress and I don't think anybody should be
surprised that they'll be good, and there has been good
for sure, but then there'll be some things that he
continually needs to work on.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
Seven point four yards per attempt thus far a pretty
solid I think I was like thirteenth in the league.
Big play potential has been there, but the sack total
certainly not lost on me, and I think those that
watched this team last year in terms of taking so
many sacks, because then we get into the old fight
how much of that is the offensive line, how much

(28:26):
of that is the quarterback holding onto the ball? I
think I always add a little more shade, maybe ten
to fifteen percent more on the quarterback, trying to make
the video game play if it wasn't even more than that.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
Greg the good quarterbacks, and I heard Tom Brady talk
about this numerous times, the good quarterbacks will always tell
you that sacks are on the quarterback, and I tend
to believe that with all my years of tape study,
that sacks are on the quarterback. So the fact that
he's not getting sacked much, and he does not throw
a lot of interceptions, so that's a big deal too.

(28:59):
He doesn't he turned the ball over, So in those
two areas, he's clearly improving. And of course he didn't
throw a lot of interceptions as a rookie either, but still,
you know, I think that there's clear incremental improvement going
on here.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
First year playing under center, working that yeah, action, et cetera. Yeah,
and last.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
Week, finally a bit more in the run game from
DeAndre Swift. There's been a lot of questions as to
whether they needed to be in the marketplace, perhaps for
a guy that'll line up opposite them today, although Alvin
Kamara says he.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Wants to stay in New Orleans.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
So but with three weeks left until the trade deadline,
expecting some fireworks in that regard as well.

Speaker 3 (29:37):
Yeah, I don't who knows about that stuff that you know,
there's always speculation about that. But I thought your under
center point was a really really good one because that's
something that is really important to the Ben Johnson offense.
You know, he wants his quarterbacks to be able to
execute what I call conventional play action and play under center,
and and that's that's a big deal. And we'll see,

(29:58):
you know, as he continues to play, there'll be more
and more of that. And I think that that's a
really really important part. I mean, you know, he's right now,
he's top five in the league and under center dropbacks.
You know, the two the guys you would think would
be in the top five are Stafford Darnold, Jared Goff.
Actually Drake may Is as well, but Caleb Williams that's

(30:20):
not something he was used to at all playing in
college and much of last season. So that's something you
have to learn too. Because think about it this way, Mike,
when you turn your back to the defense. That's a
learned trait because in the NFL, the defense is not
in the same place when you snap your head around,
So it's a learned trait. You have to know exactly
where to look, exactly what defender you've got to pick out.

(30:42):
You know, those things take time, and it speeds up
your clock because you know you only have a certain
amount of time.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
Well, that's like, you know, let me nerd out for
a second, go off fold the original Star Wars when
they put the helmet on Luke and they didn't want
him to see, right Obi Wan's training him and he's
got to know where that little orbiz that's going to
start shooting at him, and he's got to do it blindfolded.
I mean, that's that's what you're trying to do here, right,
You're trying to get those paces to where there's a
trust and an understanding of what's developing when you haven't

(31:11):
seen it before.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Because if you turn around, you know, and again I
think people can he can easily understand this. If you
turn around and you're not sure what you're seeing, BOYD,
does your internal clock speed up so fast? Because you know,
you know you don't have time now to sitting. Okay,
well where should I be looking? You have to know
right away. So clearly that's something that he has to

(31:33):
continue to work on. He hasn't thrown any interceptions when
he's been under center, but he has a low completion percentage,
so that's still that part of that is still a
work in progress.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
At next piece, sixty one on the year. All right,
let's go and we'll give this the two plus minutes
it deserves. Carolina at New York. I asked Bree to
look for a justin Fields highlight from last week. She
could not find one.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
Uh one in a Carolina.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
It's the team to talk about it. They're three and three.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Yeah, that was the joke. That was the Yeah, that's
what it was.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Building three and three, ric O'Donnell back to back huge weeks,
Chewba Hobbard coming back, Dave Canalis has this team headed
in the right direction. It looks like a win potentially
on the board here on the road, and all of
a sudden, hey, we've got another team fighting in the
NFC South.

Speaker 3 (32:20):
You know, I watched the Panthers against the Cowboys last week,
and I thought it was really interesting because their defense
is pretty good. I mean, their D line's pretty good.
You know. I think it's a young group. I think
they're going to get better. You know. Obviously offensively, look,
they need to be able to run the ball. Now,
they're not going to get that kind of running game
every single week what Doubtell has done for the last

(32:40):
two weeks, which is just off the charts. But Bryce
Young and I know he was a number one pick,
but ultimately he's settled in as kind of a complimentary piece.
That's the way they have to play. He's not going
to be throwing for three hundred yards. You can't drop
him back forty five times by choice. So they have
to play a certain way. They have to be a
running football team, and they have to play good defense.

(33:03):
And they've have played pretty good defense, and I think
that's their template. That's who they have to be.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
Looking at the at averaging twenty two points per game offensively,
Jets down there at twenty and a half. For the
defensive side, given up twenty four games, so not much
of a differential there between what the Panthers have been generating.
But still looking in that receiving core, you got Ted
McMillan at the top and the next leading receiver, Tommy Trumble.

(33:31):
But the distribution of the ball is interesting because he's
already got what seven guys with at least nine catches.

Speaker 3 (33:37):
Yeah, they're waiting for to get to know, to become
a really significant part of their past game, and he's
going to need to be if they're going to move
forward in that area. But just a quick point about
their defense. I think one player, and again he may
not be well known or around the league. They signed
him as a free agent, Trayvon Morigg, who was with
the Raiders, who is at one point a first round pick.

(33:57):
He's a really important player for them. They play a
lot of what we call big nickel with three safeties,
and Morig is kind of the wildcard chess piece in
that big nickel defense and he's become a really important
piece to that defense.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
There we go, We'll see how much they can confuse,
disrupt and absolutely confound justin fields and mid dare I say,
Torod Taylor before this game is over. We're just getting
warmed up working up a ladder here in the studios.
It's Fox Football Sunday, Mike Greg co Sell with you
at Greg Cosell where you find him on Twitter. You

(34:30):
find me over at Swollen Dome as we continue one
of the big games of the slate. Yeah, the over
under sitting at fifty five, but missing some principles. What
can Jayden Daniels do for you? How does he navigate
today's game missing some big weapons.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
We'll tell you next here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Get those toes tapping on a Sunday morning, Welcome back
in Fox Football Sunday, Fox Sports Radio, Mike Harmon, Greg
Cosell with you Mark on the ones and twos. We'll
certainly go down that classic rock rabbit hole with us
Greg each and every Sunday, no.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
Question, you got to you got to get those.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
Get the blood pumping, you know, get a good bass
rift going and away we go, no quick, there you go.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
All right, So one of the games that's really very
interesting on a million levels. Later on today we got
Washington and Dallas. When we look at Washington there three
and three on the year, Jaden Daniels operating with a
little less than a full staff as they get ready
against Dallas. And we know what Dak Prescott has done
historically in division at home has been a wrecking crew.

(35:37):
And what that offense could do. But let's stay with
the Commanders for a second. You got Crosskey Merritt out
of the backfield, ran well against the Bears, had some
big plays, but no McLaurin for another week. Deebo Samuel
got downgraded out. They were optimistic that he would be
able to go, and he's not gonna be available. You're
already down another receiver, right brown out, So trying to

(36:01):
find the next man up more zach Ertz a week ago,
and we certainly saw what McCaffrey with the broken play
for the thirty three yard touchdown. So they're gonna be
looking deep down the roster trying to find playmakers in
what looks to be a high scoring affair.

Speaker 3 (36:21):
Yeah, although I think Cliff Kingsbury has done a really,
really good job schematically. This is a team that now
for two years in a row, Mike has run the
highest percentage of plays in no huddle than any offense
in the NFL, and they do it by a wide margin.
That's obviously coach Kingsbury's philosophy. And now they're playing a
Dallas defense that has really struggled. They're not a very

(36:43):
good defense my sense and just from studying players all
through the years. This is a team that hardly plays
any man coverage. You know, Cover one is the predominant
man coverage where you play with a single high safety
and man across the board. They play the second lowest
percentage of Cover one in the league. It's a very
low percentage. And I personally think they have better man

(37:05):
corners than zone corners. But again they may feel otherwise.
But you know, I think that this now huddle offense
of Washington versus this Cowboys defense that's not been very
good and the way Kingsbury sort of schemes it up,
I don't know. I think they'll still score points.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
Yeah, we got Trevon digs out for this one cancuss
and something that happened at his house. Bland's been less
than one hundred percent. We know the high level of
zone the Heber Blues plays. I think they are high
light Like eighty six percent or thereabouts was an estimate
as I tried to go through perusing data while watching
a bad horror Actually, no, you know what I did.

(37:44):
I turned off the bad horror movie and I went
back and watched the classic wolf Man. I expect all
of you in the next two weeks before Halloween to
go back to the original Universal Monsters.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
Well, they're gonna end up, you know, they're gonna play
Elam at one corner, you know, or Elam who they
got from Buffalo, who's a man corner, not his own corner.
I guess the next man up would probably be Kaln Carson,
who they drafted a year ago in twenty twenty four.
So they're you know, they're going to struggle. You know.
I think Washington can still do some damage in the

(38:15):
pass game.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
Now we look at the other side with the Cowboys.
They get CD Lamb back this week alongside George Pickens,
who's been fantastic. Question of you know, the same thing
that we asked a little bit earlier in terms of
all right, you got to make sure you feed them early,
keep them in the game given past issues, shall we say,

(38:36):
Although I think that Pittsburgh receiver room is haunted a
lot of great players, but it seemed like they're always
ended up being a nice end point to all of them.
But for Dak Prescott getting good work out of Javonte Williams,
they'll need him in balance here against Washington.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
Yeah, they couldn't run it last week at all, they'll
get CD back. Pickens is a little freakish. I mean, again,
none of this. I don't know George Pickens. You know,
you can read what you want, but he is really gifted,
you could argue just in terms of pure physical gifts.
He's a top six to seven receiver in the league.
And they move him around when they feel necessary. He's
normally their boundary X and I think he'll stay there

(39:15):
now more with CD back. But last week, for instance,
they did they moved him around quite a bit because
they didn't want the matchup versus jac Horn as much
as they wanted versus Michael Jackson, and Pickens had a big,
big game.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
Had Michael Jackson skating or moonwarhing around the field looking
at Dak Prescott. Thus far, just a monster start to
the season. Nearly seventy two percent completion rate, that's a
career best seven point one yards per attempt. While that's
not with his career highs. You're looking at thirteen touchdowns
and three picks. He's only been sacks seven times. I

(39:52):
read that with the offensive line that would be a
bigger issue.

Speaker 3 (39:56):
Yeah, it was just going to say that, and you know,
It's funny the Panthers last week. They've not been a
high percentage blitz team, but they blitzed a lot and
Prescott was phenomenal versus blitz.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
As we continue here, lots of big games on this
couple of young quarterbacks front and center. But we've got
a battle here in Los Angeles. Is Daniel Jones? Is
this Indianapolis Colt squad for real? We'll find out the
Chargers looking to get healthy on the defensive side. That
is one of your highlights of the week. He's Greg
CoA Seal. I'm by Carmen. It's Fox Football Sunday. I'm

(40:27):
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (40:29):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (40:33):
Greetings and welcome in a hour two of the program,
broadcasting live from the Fox Sports Radio studios.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
It's Fox Football Sunday.

Speaker 2 (40:40):
I'm Mike Carmen alongside me Greg coast Sell, as we
get ready for another hour of Week seven previews, looking
ahead to some monster games in the National Football League,
because we're at that point in the season Greg, where
it's the I really hope I can figure out what
you are because if I can't, I'm wondering if in
the rooms you're doing a lot of Spider Man meme
point at each other trying to figure out the same question.

Speaker 3 (41:02):
No, I think teams should have a pretty good idea
of what they are now, who their good players are,
how they can play effectively. I think if you're still
struggling that right now, that would not be a good
thing generally.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
This is where we get into the potential chaos of
the season. Obviously, we look at Miami and a lot
of finger pointing and.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
Stuff in the media there.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
We've already seen a coach fired down in Tennessee after
some some hit historyonics on the sideline going back to
last year with Callahan. So now they'll look to their
next chapter for cam Warden Company, and they've got Drake May,
who we referenced you did last hour, Greg talking about
what he's been able to do thus far, number five

(41:43):
in the league in passing yards and really a team
that stepped forward, perhaps a lot faster than certainly I
thought they would.

Speaker 3 (41:52):
Yeah, and May's improvement's been really really good. I mean,
he's he's been so good. I think we've talked about this,
but it's just more and more noticeable every single week,
is how good he is in those difficult situations, those
litmus test situations for quarterbacks, third down versus blitz. They
throw the ball really well on first down, they've not
been able to run the ball great. See here's a

(42:14):
perfect example where you can talk about when teams say
you don't have great weapons. I know Stefon Diggs has
obviously been a good receiver in this league, but he's
not been a big target guy, so they've been able
to use other players kay Shan Boody. You know, Hunter
Henry's a very good tight end. He gets overlooked a lot.
Maybe he's not bright brock Bauers or Kelsey in his prime,

(42:34):
but he's a very good tight end. And they do
a great job. You know. To me, they did what
you should do. And this is just an opinion I've
always had about young quarterbacks. They brought in a veteran
NFL coach in Josh McDaniels, who's done it at the
highest levels, worked for years with Tom Brady. To me,
that's what you want to do with a young quarterback.

(42:56):
Mike you don't want to bring in and again just
my opinion, you don't want to bring in a thirty
three year old guy without a lot of experience. You
want to bring in a coach that has a resume
at a relatively high level in the NFL to work
with a young quarterback. And just one final point, Drake
May in his two years at North Carolina, his final two,
Clyde Christensen was the quarterback coach. And Clyde Christensen coached

(43:17):
in the NFL for years and years, and he coached
Tom Brady, he coached Andrew Luck. I know I'm missing
one as well, another big time quarterback that he coached
as well. But you know that's what you do with
a young quarterback.

Speaker 1 (43:30):
Well, well you look at it.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
It's the I guess we both shouldn't be learning on
the job together, correct, right, hey, And that's the thing
that's a great point. The hot shot. You know, young
guy will be at the college game or whatever you've
decided to put him in that role, like they've got
a lot of learning to do too. So to have
that on a young quarterback, how many times have we
seen that just go disastrously wrong? And then it takes two, three,

(43:55):
four stops where maybe the guy gets shots to redeem
his career, the player that is, and you know it
works and maybe it doesn't.

Speaker 3 (44:03):
And you know what if the offensive coordinator is not
the guy. You know, maybe he's not the guy, but
then your quarterback coach should be. Because the coordinator has
to deal with so many other things, he can't really
coach the quarterback on a day to day basis, But
your quarterback coach can. And that guy needs to be
someone who's been through it before. You know, it's not

(44:23):
as first rodeo as it were, that he understands the league,
he understands how to coach quarterbacks because you know, we
just assume, oh, quarterbacks are going to go out and
make plays. Well, there's so much that goes into quarterback
play that starts with just the fundamentals of playing the position,
which quite frankly, in college a lot of guys don't
get because of the nature of college pass games.

Speaker 2 (44:43):
Especially also the mobile world that we're living in the
college correct, I mean trying to ascertain who's great who's
not on a given week in college football. I think
we've got a couple of guys that are starting to
rise to the level here, Greg. But you know, as
we do start prognosticating, of all, right, which guy will

(45:03):
look good in what uniform? Because well, and doing that stuff.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
And just as an aside, you mentioned college football, there's
a quarterback at South Carolina that fits that perfectly. Leonora's Sellers.
I evaluated him this summer from his tape last year,
and yes, is he big? Can he throw it hard?
And can he run around? He's that he can do.
But when I watched his tape from last summer, and
again I haven't watched tape this year, but from what
I see on TV, you know he's not advancing in

(45:28):
kind of the subtleties and the nuances of the and
the disciplines of playing the quarterback position. And that's what
you have to be able to do when you get
to the NFL. The game is not built on just
running around and making plays.

Speaker 1 (45:40):
No, it's it.

Speaker 2 (45:41):
And we talked about Caleb Williams. He would have been
a prime example of that of trying to play within
a structure and change how you approach things. And that
learning curve for some is short. For some, they never
get to see that end point that railroad track.

Speaker 3 (45:55):
Great point.

Speaker 2 (45:56):
Are bugs bunny or wiley coyote kind of things might
out of service?

Speaker 3 (46:01):
Yeah, no, that's a great point. And we'll see what
some of these some of these quarterbacks that are coming
into the NFL.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
It's fun.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
Yesterday's seven top twenty five losses, So chaos in the
rankings and certainly in the Heisman odds. Going back to
Carson Beck and what transpired on Friday night, we were
marveling at the show, Heyo Tani show while keeping an
eye on the college football games. I want to talk
about the college football game some more. I mean, oh,
Tonni's great, right right, There's chaos over here with Louisville,

(46:30):
But we continue on as we get back to week
seven here in the National Football League and a team
that has everybody's eyeballs, the Denver Broncos. Later on they'll
they'll face off against the Juggernaut and the whiz Kid
with Jackson Dart and Cam Scattabo coming to town. A
defensive battle perhaps in the offing. What have you seen

(46:52):
with bo Nicks in the Denver offense through the first
six weeks.

Speaker 3 (46:57):
He's been a little up and down. I think you
said good moments, you know, I think I would have
expected that the development would be, you know, a little
more straight lineish, and I think he's been up and down.
I mean, they're really a defensive team right now, Mike,
I mean that defense. They lead the NFL in sacks.
This is the second year in a row. Last year
they leed the NFL in sacks advance. Joseph he does

(47:19):
so many good things upfront with how he aligns his fronts,
the number of people he puts in upfront that you
have to account for, and then who stays, who drops out.
They are a very difficult defense to play against. In
addition to the fact that they have players that can
win one on one. I mean, Benito and Cooper can
win one on one on the edge, Zach Allen can

(47:39):
win one on one inside. Franklin Myers is a very
good player. They're just really really good, both schematically and individually.
And I'm fascinated to see that game today and particularly
to watch the tape early next week when it's over,
to see how Jackson Dart and Brian Dable, Obviously there's
a coaching element to that as well, how they handle it.

(48:00):
Because Jackson Dart, he's used his legs a ton and
my senses. You'll see the same thing today, because I
think he'll struggle a bit with what he's seeing and
how it then plays out, how they change the picture
pre snap to post snap.

Speaker 2 (48:14):
Fifteen point eight points allowed per game. They've allowed fewer
than a thousand passing yards total. This Ishich is hundred
sixty five yards a game at this point.

Speaker 3 (48:24):
In today's NFL. That's crazy the.

Speaker 2 (48:26):
Way we wing things around, it's incredible. Two hundred and
fifty four total yards per game. And certainly when we
talk about going up against certain it becomes the all right,
who's my second option? And can I exploit that matchup?
Perhaps a little bit, but certainly against this Denver defense
that's been tough seletting, no question, just because that run defense.

(48:48):
They were all certainly looking ready for the challenge as well.
With Cam scatabo we say that one question.

Speaker 3 (48:56):
Just a quick point. I don't think they'll have that
success they had last week this week, but that one
of the most fascinating things about last week's games was
that the Giants got the ball against the Eagles. Now,
these are the Super Bowl champs with six minutes and
fifty seconds to go in the game, and they ran
out the clock right and they out Yeah, and Scatabow

(49:16):
had five rushes in that stretch in that final six
minutes fifty seconds all of them came out of three
tight end personnel where they put the tight end bellingers
and I formation fullback, and they just physically wore out
the Eagles defense. Who would have thought that, but that's
what they did, That's what he gained. He didn't have
a ton of yards until that final drive when he

(49:36):
had five for forty four.

Speaker 2 (49:37):
It's one of my favorite things, little throwback football. I
sometimes find myself wiping away a little wisp of a
tear from my eye, you know, the old three yards
of a cloud of dust that I became accustomed to as
a young boy. Now as we look at a game
here in Los Angeles a little later on today, Indianapolis
comes in against the Chargers. Chargers looking to get back

(49:59):
and healthy. About Khalil Mack is going to be on
a football field is another one of those great things
to illustrate, other than my size and speed and well
all those physical attributes that football players are just built different.
Because I would have not expected to see him on
a field until December if we were lucky. But here

(50:19):
we are in mid October, and he's looking to go
to later on today to bolster that d And.

Speaker 3 (50:25):
That's important because this has been a very tough offense
to play against. I think a lot of people probably think, oh,
it's Jonathan Taylor's offense, and he's having a terrific year,
leads the NFL in rushing. But I'm not sure a
lot of people would have thought that through what's their
record five and one? Is it five and one? That

(50:46):
through six games, Daniel Jones far and away has the
most first down passing yards in the NFL. Think about
that for a minute, because John, we think, hey, it's
Jonathan Taylor's offense. And by the way, as I said,
he leads at and rushing and he's third in first
down rushing yards. So think how good they've been on
first down That Jonathan Taylor's third and first down rushing

(51:09):
yards and Daniel Jones, by a wide margin over Sam
Darnold leads the NFL in first down passing yards. This
has been a very, very efficient offense.

Speaker 2 (51:19):
A ton of numbers that come out, you know, we
could play fun with numbers with Daniel Jones forever, but
one of those that popped to the front is the
fact that he's got in his career with the Giants,
he had eight completions of twenty plus air yards in
his six seasons, he's already got five.

Speaker 3 (51:38):
Yeah, it's a very well schemed offense. And one of
the things that really stands out is how well he's
throwing the ball between the numbers. Those are difficult throws
in the NFL. Now, a lot of quarterbacks feel comfortable
making those throws because they're tight window throws, and Jones
this year has done that extremely well.

Speaker 2 (51:56):
So we look at another piece of fun with numbers
just based on offensive setup right in the tape review.
Thirty seven percent play action for Daniel Jones this year, yep.
And then you got the Chargers defense on the other side.
Fifty seven percent completion percentage allowed against play action this
year per Next Gen Stats.

Speaker 3 (52:17):
Yeah, so I mean getting Mac back you mentioned it,
that's a big deal. But they're a big play action team.
Daniel Jones has been very good in play action. So
this is this is one of the fun matchups. And
we'll see on the other side of the ball as well,
because I think the Colts are hurting a little bit
on the back end. Ward is out for at least
four games. Shavarius Ward. I know the Chargers have struggled

(52:42):
quite a bit upfront, and Herbert's been under a lot
of durests this year. But this looks like a game
where they might be able to feel they can work
outside and have success throwing the football. But obviously it
all starts with protection.

Speaker 2 (52:55):
All three wide receivers available. I know that Herbert's had
the highest blitz rate against him in the NFL this year,
and part of that owing to they were hoping alt
would be available. It looks like it's going to be
another week before you.

Speaker 3 (53:07):
Get to back out. Yeah, Herbert's face the most blitz
drop backs this year, and you know, of course that
makes perfect sense because you're playing with guys dealing with
the blitz very often with your old line is about cohesion,
and they've had to move a lot of people around,
play a lot of different players, so they haven't had
the cohesion that's necessary upfront to deal with those kinds
of things.

Speaker 2 (53:27):
And last week, the fantasy world and the football world
as a whole introduced to a guy we talked about
a bit, wondering when his opportunity to become Kimani Vidal yep,
And he was off like he built like a house
and was off to the races a week ago, looking
to make some hay and perhaps take a little bit
of that pressure off of Herbert.

Speaker 3 (53:45):
Yeah, and they were in him a lot out of
multiple tight end personnel. And that's something you might see
more of because you know, get some big bodies out there,
try to pound the football, take some pressure off that
old line and Herbert. We'll see if that continues this week.

Speaker 2 (53:58):

the team he used to go against. But it looks
like a potential opportunity here. We'll tell you who it
is and all about next. He's Greg co sal On,

Speaker 2 (54:57):
Fox Sports Radio Mike Carvin alongside Greg go sal Just
a couple of minutes to get those lineup changes and
picks in Fantasy Wise or in your Pick set Survivor picks,
all of those kinds of things as we get ready
for the game overseas, Rams and Jaguars coming up in
just a couple of minutes. But later on today we've
got the battle of the defending champions. It's the Philadelphia

(55:19):
Eagles on the road at Minnesota and Carson Wentz. Yes,
Carson Wentz, who thus far has played played some pretty
good football for these Minnesota Vikings. Putting up some good numbers,
gets Jordan Addison back, obviously, Justin Jefferson on the outside
when you're looking at Philadelphia, Mitchell's got a little bit
of a hammy injury, so that's concerning against these behemoths

(55:42):
on the outside. Greg particularly when we've talked about the
struggles of the Philly secondary overall.

Speaker 3 (55:48):
Yeah, they've use Mitchell for the most part as a
matchup corner this year because of the struggles opposite him. Jackson,
when healthy has been the player there. But Ringos had
to play and he's not a starting corner in this league.
So we'll see if Mitchell can go and how long
he can go. But Wentz has played well, you know
a couple of things, and Kevin O'Connell is so good

(56:08):
with quarterbacks, he has Wentz just being so much more
aware of getting the ball out because winch uosed to
get sacked a lot, hasn't been sacked that much. He
did against Pittsburgh, but that was a game where he
had to throw and drop back I think plus fifty times,
which obviously you don't want. But for the most part,
he's played a fishing football, more willing to take some

(56:29):
of the shorter throws, which was always an issue for
him in a previous life as it were. So yeah,
he's played well. And to be honest with you, Mike,
I don't know what to make of this Eagles offense
right now. I just don't. I mean, you know, look,
the offensive line has not played well. They cannot run
the football. The inability to run the football has impacted

(56:52):
them in so many ways because they're not really a
passing team. The pass always has been situational and in
many ways works off how the defense has to play
their run game because Hurts is a major factor in
the run game. But they're not a passing team in
a strict sense. So right now they're really having a
hard time on offense.

Speaker 2 (57:12):
What is the curiosity to me is just that the
reluctance to I get it, the offense has spotted and
the run game has been grossly inefficient, but the fact
that they've gone away from it so quickly, right Barkley, Yeah,
that's ago. Just five carries last week, just eleven.

Speaker 3 (57:30):
Well, when they started the game last week where Barkley
had an eighteen yard run and a thirteen yard run
on the first two plays. You know, there's been a
lot of plays where blocks have been missed. You know,
you could make the argument the last two three years
that in terms of run blocking, the best left side
of an offensive line in the National Football League has

(57:51):
been Landon Dickerson and Mayo Lotta, Jordan Mylotta Dickerson's been
hurt this year and even when he's played, he hasn't
been anywhere near as good. And quite frankly, may A
Lota has not had a very good season relative to
what he's done in the past. So they've really struggled.
Their cam Jurgens has not been as good as he
was a year ago at center, so it's you know again,

(58:14):
you know, they have a new offensive coordinator. He's been there,
but it's his first time calling plays. They've just been
they've struggled. And then you know last week, for instance,
they had a play on the first drive of the
third quarter where if the blocks were made, it might
have been an eighty seven yard Barkley touchdown. But the
blocks were not made. And that's happened as well, where
it's been laid out perfectly and they've just not been

(58:36):
able to execute.

Speaker 2 (58:38):
Yeah, it's that curiosity. Also, you know why we celebrate
and I know this in your film review and we've
talked about it before, when you've got the wide receivers
tight ends that do that extra right tight end position.
Once upon a time you've blocked a lot and if
you got to pass, it was like a reward until
Tony Gonzales, Antonio Gates and company with rare exception.

Speaker 1 (58:59):
Of course, now we look at go ahead, gret.

Speaker 3 (59:01):
And I was gonna say they're somewhat limited in the
pass game because Jalen hurts. He throws the ball outside
the numbers. Very well, it's hard to live that way
in the NFL. One thing he doesn't do, and they
don't really call a lot of this because that's not
the way he sees the game is he does not
throw the ball between the numbers, particularly at the intermediate
levels let's say twelve to twenty yards. They've got the

(59:22):
fewest pass attempts of any team in the league in
twelve to twenty yards between the numbers. And if that's
not really part of your offense, then you're very limited
with your pass game.

Speaker 2 (59:34):
Makes for a very interesting shot chart. Nonetheless, Yeah, yeah, question,
Philly a narrow favorite on the road in this one.
Let's go to one of them. Well, what is shaping
up to be the higher scoring by far of the
Monday night games? And this guy front and.

Speaker 8 (59:50):
Center, second down and eleven, if shot gun looked Tucker
in the backfield in motion, Baker Mayfield, Bell high Snapp
looks upfield, goes the ball downfield, he's on a receiver of.

Speaker 3 (59:59):
But to ball Touchtoup Turpa Bie touch stop buccaneer, Fitchtels
Johnson touchdown Buccaneers. What a prop by pickerby Field.

Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
There you go, as we get the legend on the
call there Baker Mayfield to the front of everybody's MVP
balloting this week, going up against Detroit, a game that
is in the high fifties in terms of you're over undertotal,
but playing with a bit of a makeshift receiving corps.
But it's a next man up scenario. And as you
heard there Tess Johnson making a play downfield. Still questioning

(01:00:32):
whether Evans or a Bookle will be available on Monday
Night football, both trending towards nine.

Speaker 3 (01:00:38):
Yeah, well, see, I mean it's we still have a
couple of days, they have that extra day. But offensively,
you know, Baker's playing at a really, really high level
right now. And see this is a classic case where
you know, I think, if you're well schemed on offense, sure,
do you want Evans out there? Do you want to
book out? Course you want better players out there. But
if you're really well schemed and they are well schemed,

(01:01:01):
with a lot of concepts that would be viewed as
base concepts in passing games, but they execute them really,
really well. And Baker is seeing the field very cleanly
and the ball is coming out. You know, he's he's
at his best when he's decisive, and he's being very
decisive right now. And we're actually seeing Baker make plays
with his legs, which you know, he's not a great athlete,

(01:01:24):
but he's he's been able to do that this year.
So this has been a really good season. And Baker's
you know, the last couple of years, he's played really well, Mike.
It's it's it's hard not to talk about him, you know,
in the top five to six category right now. The
way he's played the last couple of years.

Speaker 1 (01:01:41):
It's just fun.

Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
We go back to that point in time in twenty
twenty two, it's him and Sam Darnold hanging out in Carolina. Yeah,
and then Baker goes and has the cup of coffee
couple games with the Rams before becoming the guy in Tampa.
The last two year, sixty nine touchdowns. This year, twelve touchdowns,
just one pick. That's the biggest thing. Cutting down turnovers

(01:02:03):
and making those plays, like you said, with his legs.
Go back to Peyton and Drew Brees and all those guys.
They weren't exactly making it look good when they did
after scramble, but they knew when they could pick their spots.

Speaker 3 (01:02:14):
Yeah, and they played predominantly with three wide receivers on
the field. Even if they don't have their main guys,
they still stay with that. I mean last week they
played a ton out of eleven personnel, meaning three wide receivers.
That's the way they work in their pass game. Close
to ninety percent of his dropbacks this year have come
with three wide receivers on the field and all of

(01:02:34):
his touchdowns, So no matter who the wide receivers are,
they stay with the philosophical approach of their pass game.

Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
Now we go down the other side of things. The
Detroit Lions. Remember week one the rumors of their demise,
while that faded fairly quickly as this offense started to
find its way here Greg the last couple of weeks certainly,
but when we look at their offense, Gibbs modg I
could do without the halfpack toss as much as Yeah,

(01:03:05):
but look for those that would have had a winning
bet for Jared Goff.

Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
They got screwed.

Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
But you know that we'll leave that to the bookmakers
in the league to decide how they adjudicate such things.
But you know, in an offense that loaded for bear
and each week trying to figure out next to the
eight or nine that were penciling in for catches from
a'man ross a Brown, it's a fun fun offense to navigate.

Speaker 3 (01:03:30):
Yeah, And last week against the Chiefs, they couldn't quite
get their offense working the way they wanted to. They
couldn't run the football. The Chiefs defensive front was stronger
in the run game versus the Lions old line and
tight ends. Now, they were not playing with Decker last week.
Taylor Decker, I think he's due to play this week.
So they couldn't develop any sustainability in their run game

(01:03:50):
that they wanted to achieve, because that's the way they
came out in the first half. They had eighteen called
runs and thirteen called passes, so they clearly wanted to
come out and run the ball. They just never developed
any kind of rhythm offensively last week. I would bet
at home this week on a fast surface, you'll see
their offense be back to what we've seen it more

(01:04:11):
often than not. And they couldn't generate any really big
explosive plays last week versus the Chiefs defense, and normally
that's part of their offense. So you know, when those
things happen sometimes on the road, as you know, Mike,
then a team gets back home and then they start
to look like the way they normally look.

Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
Get back on your track, all right. Joseph and Arnold
out for the week. Decker still with the questionable tag,
but looks like he should be able to go and
is trending towards playing. But that one, certainly we've got
great interest in.

Speaker 3 (01:04:40):
And Branches out too. Branch is out too. He suspended
for the game.

Speaker 1 (01:04:43):
Oh yeah, absolutely, one of the best.

Speaker 3 (01:04:45):
A big deal. Yeah, yeah, that's a big deal. He's
a really good player.

Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
Yeah, so we and we mentioned, as you did, the
Chiefs the defense right now giving up just twenty point
seven points per game.

Speaker 3 (01:04:58):
The Chiefs, Yeah, yeah, they've done that for the list
is Yeah, you know, it's so funny because that's the
way they've been the last number of years. But because
the focus is always on Patrick Sharons and the offense,
and deservedly so, I'm not saying it shouldn't be, but
Steve Spagnola, who's been one of the best ever on
the defensive side of the ball. They have been really,
really good for the last what two three years, and

(01:05:20):
people don't really focus on that because of Mahomes and
how special he can be, but that defense is very,
very good. And you know, there's a name that not
a a lot of people know on that defense, but
he is being he's playing more and more snaps. His
name's Leos Chanal and he's playing at a really high
level right now.

Speaker 2 (01:05:40):
Yeah, So ninth, eleventh overall, twenty point seven allowed there,
they're ninth in terms of offense at twenty five point
eight per game, And that's where folks, you know, the
sexiness of the Mahomes numbers. And I don't know how
you expect a guy to throw forty five touchdown passes
a year, but that's what we came to expect after
that start to his career.

Speaker 3 (01:05:59):
Oh yeah, first year is a starter? What he throw fifty? Yeah,
going back, you know whatever that was for, you know,
for second year in the league, first year as a starter.

Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
Yeah, so folks expecting the fireworks year after years stay
you know, you find balance in competition.

Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
It's hard to do.

Speaker 1 (01:06:13):
And now you got talking Rice back into the mix.

Speaker 3 (01:06:16):
Yep. Yeah, so now they ever see Rice. I wonder
who's not going to get snaps now? But you know,
as we we've discussed the last number of weeks, now
they do have team speed on offense. They didn't for
a number of years. Now they do be interesting to
see who who sits so to speak, now that Rice
is back, because Rice is just a really good you know,
in many ways, he works the same area of the

(01:06:37):
field that Kelsey in his prime work. He's kind of
when he was playing, he was starting to replace Kelsey
in that way in working sort of between the numbers
at the short intermediate level. He's really good at that.

Speaker 2 (01:06:49):
Worthy Brown and Rice, Yeah, you've got speed for days.
Can't wait to see what the next iteration of his
offense is. Still waiting for them to run the ball
with a little more effectiveness. But Checko and Hunt have
been the two guys thus making it happen. But adding
more elements to the passing game always work to balance
in definition, That's what Arnold Schwarzenegger said. And pumping iron,

(01:07:11):
so I try to ascribe to that every day.

Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
Greg, Yeah, you know what I have to say, I
missed that movie. I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:07:18):
Oh no, you got at least some good one liners.
You can run on people out of that, even if the.

Speaker 3 (01:07:23):
Arnold always give you Yeah, that's just it.

Speaker 2 (01:07:25):
There's some of the origin story there, going back to
that weight lifting culture and hanging out in Venice Beach
here in southern California.

Speaker 1 (01:07:33):
All right, let's get another game in. We've got the.

Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
Falcons playing the forty nine Ers. We're talking about a
couple of top defenses here Atlanta. I think folks starting
to really understand how good they are, particularly and the
perimeters we talk about blocking and getting back in San Francisco.
Is gonna get George kittleback? How much does he change
the complexion of what they're able to do for Mac
Jones today.

Speaker 3 (01:07:57):
Well, I almost think theoretically he impacts run game, perhaps
where they've not been able to run the ball, because
one thing George Kittle can do, and this is critical
to run games, is if you have a tight end
that can block defensive ends one on one, that changes
everything about your run game. So I'm curious to see
if the forty nine ers run game is better. But

(01:08:17):
I'll say this. You know I watch as much tape
every week as I can. You know I can't get
to every single game. There's not enough time. I'm only
one person. But I love watching the Falcons defense. This
team plays more cover one than any team in the league.
They blitz the highest percentage of any team in the league.
They increase that dramatically on third down. So now you

(01:08:38):
get into a situation where Kyle Shanahan knows this, and
when is mac Jones at his best? And when is
that pass game at its best? When the ball gets
out on time and the pressure can't get there. That
really stemied the Rams a couple of weeks ago. They
don't blitz a lot, but their D line couldn't get there.
So now we'll see how Jeff Albrico, I think has
done an amazing job Mike as the deco native for

(01:09:00):
the Falcons, We'll see how he handles the blitzing part,
because they have been so good at doing something that's
so hard to do in the NFL, and that's getting
free hitters at the quarterback.

Speaker 2 (01:09:10):
Now, quickly, let's go to the other side the Falcons offense.
Thus far, I mean John Robinson has been a wizard.
They're averaging just twenty points per game. So looking for
a bolstering there and a boost because it's really been
a two man game with Michael Penix thus far. It's
Drake London, it's Bijon Robinson and a question mark.

Speaker 3 (01:09:30):
Yeah, and they're a pistol offense. I mean they line
up in the pistol at a higher percentage than any
team in the league by far. They lead the NFL
in rushing right now. Bjon Robinson's is eighty three carries,
seventy one have come out of the pistol. He is
such a difficult play. You know, it's funny you have
two backs in this game that in many ways are
similar in the way they can be deployed within the

(01:09:51):
context of their offense. In McCaffrey and Robinson, because they
both detached from the formation, they're both used in motion.
They both present major issues as receivers. And you know, Robinson,
they almost view him as their second best receiver after
Craig London as a wide receiver. I'm not talking about
just as a receiver, as a wide receiver. So we'll

(01:10:12):
see how it plays out. But their offense, I think
beas on Robinson. I know I've said this before. I
think he's the best back in the league.

Speaker 1 (01:10:19):
Three hundred and.

Speaker 2 (01:10:19):
One yards after the catch. He's got three hundred and
thirty eight on the year. Does beyond Robins.

Speaker 3 (01:10:24):
And McCaffrey has four hundred and forty four receiving yards.

Speaker 2 (01:10:27):
Yeah, he's well. We talked about it when we were
first starting this show this year, Greg, I thought he'd
see a lot of action as a receiver. I didn't
think it because the plague of injuries would really cripple
that receiving cord of the Yeah it did, but look,
you make do with your aptitudes and certainly deploying two

(01:10:49):
of the best in the game there. Can't wait to
watch that a little later. A couple more games left
to go on the slate, but first got to take
a time out. Go over to our guy Isaac Low
and Crown to get an update. Eight on our sporting
unis what's going on?

Speaker 1 (01:11:02):
I love good morning, fellas.

Speaker 8 (01:11:04):
It is two thirty eight in the afternoon at Wembley
Stadium in London, where the Rams and Jaguars both four
and two, are scoreless. Three and a half minutes in
the Rams with a second out and four at the
Jacksonville thirty nine yard line on the opening.

Speaker 1 (01:11:19):
Possession of the game.

Speaker 8 (01:11:20):
The Jaguars went three and out, including Jared Verse of
the Rams getting his fourth sack of the season. The
Rams now continuing to move. They've got a first down
and ten at the Jacksonville thirty five yard line on
their first possession eleven minutes in counting in a scoreless
first quarter. In London, we actually have some fresh NBA
news on this Sunday morning. Kevin Durant has agreed to

(01:11:43):
a two year, ninety million dollar extension with the Houston Rockets. Now,
I decided to make a joke by saying that Durant
celebrated the extension by getting into arguments with random people
on Twitter.

Speaker 1 (01:11:56):
But it turns out that's exactly what you got. Gotta
pay you this up. Did you get a response already
for your trolling?

Speaker 8 (01:12:04):
I did not, but a short time ago someone named
Tommy did. Tommy posted thirty five minutes ago quote KD
locked in forty five million dollars for his age thirty
nine season dot dot dot Not sure I'd characterize that
as an unselfish sacrifice unquote, to which Durant himself replied

(01:12:28):
twenty five minutes ago, quote, what would you characterize it as?
Since we characterizing bleep this morning?

Speaker 3 (01:12:36):
Wow?

Speaker 8 (01:12:36):
Unquote Kevin Durant celebrating his ninety million dollar extension as
only he can. Meanwhile, in college football on Saturday night,
thirteenth RT notre name if he had a number twenty
USC thirty four to twenty four, Jeremiah Love ran for
a career high two to twenty eight. Ja Darien Price
a one hundred yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Number

(01:12:58):
six Alabama over eleventh rank Tennessee thirty seven to twenty,
featuring Zabian Brown getting a ninety nine yard pick six
to close the first half. And in the Holy War,
number fifteen BYU prevailed over twenty third ranked Utah twenty
four to twenty one, winning the Holy War for a
third consecutive time. Meanwhile, the Rams continuing to drive. They

(01:13:21):
got a first and tent at the Jaguar twenty three
on their opening possession, score less in London five and
a half minutes and guys, back to.

Speaker 1 (01:13:27):
You, thanks so much.

Speaker 2 (01:13:28):
Ilo at Isaac Lowen Cron where you find him, Angel
City Chargers, you name it he's got you covered as
well as tracking Kevin Durant as we go through and
God blessing ninety million dollars, I want on board.

Speaker 1 (01:13:41):
I'll collapse back in, folks.

Speaker 2 (01:13:43):
I'll actually I'll take all the incoming you got for
a percentage of that. We've got some weather over in
this game in loving because after every pass Greg, they
are sliding on the extra ten yards, so it's sliding
catch and there he goes, He's safe at home.

Speaker 3 (01:14:00):
My favorite thing, Mike, not my favorite.

Speaker 2 (01:14:02):
So we'll see how that affects things as we go
to the short and intermediate game. But the Rams on
the move here as we approach the midpoint of the
first quarter. Now we got a couple more games left
in the balance. But if you missed any of today's show,

up strong. Here it's Fox Football Sunday, Fox Sports Radio,
Mike Carmon, Greg co cell an effortless drive for the Rams.

(01:15:33):
I was bound to determine, Greg coast Cell, I was
gonna get that word out, Okay, I left off the
day for savings.

Speaker 3 (01:15:40):
Did you practice it during the break?

Speaker 1 (01:15:42):
No, we were talking about sandwiches.

Speaker 3 (01:15:46):
It's only in the morning. For you.

Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
I've been up for three and a half hours already.
I can't sleep ahead of a show. Right, well, then
it's probably time.

Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
Three and a half hours, probably time for pizza.

Speaker 2 (01:15:56):
Then it could be I think we could probably find
a place down the st that'll be more to me
to service.

Speaker 1 (01:16:03):
It's radio, I mean, it's la It works all.

Speaker 3 (01:16:05):
Night right in there. You go.

Speaker 2 (01:16:07):
Yeah, I don't know. We'll see, we'll we'll find out.
You know, there's always something in the offing here, but
we already have a ram seven to nothing lead. Stafford
with a touchdown pass here to Monthfeld.

Speaker 3 (01:16:19):
In the there you go the pit kid, yep, oh yeah, touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:16:22):
Found him nicely in the back of the end zone
on a little bit of a scramble rule out. So
here we are six twenty six left Jaguars looking to respond.
A couple of games left in the offing for us, Greg,
Let's go to to one that's uh, well, got my
attention because well, the coach has been under a fire
for some of his comments and sideline demeanor, but he's
got a veteran quarterback back under center.

Speaker 8 (01:16:44):
Three receivers to the left, shotgun Statsett, straight drop that
zips it to the right, caught it the five bye
dorch and he's heads for the end zone touchdown.

Speaker 1 (01:16:53):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (01:16:53):
Jacoby Brissett was back under center. Three hundred and twenty yards,
two touchdowns, a pick, sixty one percent completion rate against
the Colts, but that was a thriller a week ago.

Speaker 1 (01:17:03):
He's going to get the.

Speaker 2 (01:17:03):
Nod again against the Green Bay Packers. He's definitely a
curiosity for me, as is the coach who's really kind
of curious in his sideline demeanor and certainly in his
press conferences.

Speaker 3 (01:17:18):
Well, you know, it's funny you watch for set play
and he's just a different player than Kyler Murray. There's
a little more rhythm to the pass game, and we'll
see if that continues. Green Bay for the most part
this year. They had that game against Dallas where they
gave up forty, but for the most part this year,
the defense has been solid. Jeff Hapley does a really,
really good job. There's a lot of changing the picture

(01:17:39):
pre snap to post snap. We'll see. I'm sure he'll
do a lot of that today. I know Brissett's a veteran,
but that's something that you know he's always struggled with.
A bit. I think it's one reason why he's never
really been a full time starter because I think at
times he gets stuck in the pocket and he's not
certain as to where to throw the football in what
he's seeing. So I think he'll see a lot of
that today.

Speaker 2 (01:18:00):
They're hoping to have Harrison available. He was in concussion
protocol but was trending towards playing, So we'll keep an
eye on that as this one gets closer. On the
Green Bay offensive side of things, for Jordan Love and company,
it's still the all right, let's kill him in mass
with the number of receivers that the deploy on a
weekly basis. But this Arizona defense giving up just twenty

(01:18:22):
one points per game, greg, so looks like they'll be
up to the task.

Speaker 3 (01:18:27):
It's a solid defense and they do a lot of
different different things on the back end. This is where
Jonathan Gannon is so good with what he does on
the back end. But I really like the way Love
has played. You know, we forget he's only in his
third year as a starter, Mike, you know, it feels
like we've been talking about Jordan Love for ten years. Sure,
but he's only in his third year. As a starter,
and I think he's become more efficient, more sustaining with

(01:18:48):
his REGs and his throws, and there's always a thrower
too in every game where he's aggressive and attacks with throws.
Maybe one or two might be viewed as reckless, but
I think overall he's settled in a little more. He's
taking what's there. He's allowing the offense to be more sustaining.
And they certainly had Jacobs I think is now questionable

(01:19:09):
from what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (01:19:09):
Yeah, they were saying he was a game time decision
into the over.

Speaker 3 (01:19:12):
Now yeah yeah, But I mean they obviously have a
solid sustaining run game with Jacobs, who's a very physical runner.
So this is a pretty good offense. And Love. The
thing about Love he still can be aggressive and get
the ball down the field.

Speaker 2 (01:19:27):
Folks need to go hit up Emmanuel Wilson on their
waiver water really quick forty one the over under Houston Seattle.
We talked about Sam Darnold earlier for the Houston side
of things, looking for CJ.

Speaker 1 (01:19:38):
Stroud against that Seattle.

Speaker 3 (01:19:40):
D Yeah, Seattle pass rush was phenomenal last week against Jacksonville,
and they basically did it rushing four and on the
other side, Seattle needs to protect because Will Anderson to
Neil Hunter, Anderson is as good as speed to power
rusher as there is in the league. And he's going
to be going up against Abe Lucas at right tackle,
and Lucas has struggled a bit this year. To one

(01:20:00):
on one pass.

Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
Bro Houston the best defense in the game right now,
giving up to twelve point two game.

Speaker 1 (01:20:06):
We'll enjoy the game. It's always a pleasure. Greg. It's
a fun week. We got through it.

Speaker 3 (01:20:10):
Oh I love it. Mike love love doing this every week.

Speaker 1 (01:20:13):
Great stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:20:13):
