Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening sports.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
That's right, you heard it Fox Football Sunday. That is right,
officially changing the calendar, even though it's longest to football season.
Football season is here, Carrie. What's up everybody? Thank you
for tuning in and hanging out with us, as Carrie
(00:24):
and I have our last show together in this in
this fashion, in this capacity, because next week, once we
get into official football season, Dan Byer is gonna be
back here with you. I will be at the anchor desk,
so I will be going far well, I will be
here with you. Just we're gonna switch it up whence
football season starts.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
It has been so fun.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yeah, and I'm glad to wrap it up here with you.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
No, we're not getting here.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
But it's gonna switch it out. We're gonna switch it out.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
That's right. I cannot believe it is already football season.
It is gonna be September one tomorrow and we into
it and next thing, you know, carry we're saying Merry
Christmas like we're already there. It's gonna go by in
the blink of an eye. Yesterday, Carrie, did you experience
the Verizon nationwide outage on your phone?
Speaker 5 (01:15):
I wouldn't know. My phone was probably sitting over to
the left. I was looking at a lot of football.
I didn't even have my phone close to me, So
I'm not sure. You're not sure a victim.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
I was a victim of it for several hours.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
And here's what's funny is that I wasn't sure if
I was gonna end up working at the Dodgers. I
had kind of told them like if they were short staffed,
to let me know. Who knows if they let me know.
You know what I'm saying. I have no clue if
they ended up meeting me or not. It was too
late when I realized I had no service, and it
just was such a nice time to not have service,
isn't it fun? It really was. I was like yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
I literally was like, well, there's no reason to look
at my phone for hours.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
If you were at home, I wasn't. I was at
the gym, I was running errands. If you were connected
to Wi Fi, you were fine. But if I was
out and about I wasn't. And I literally was like,
I don't even there's nobody can contact me. Nobody can
call me if they wanted to know.
Speaker 5 (02:02):
It's crazy. My phone's always dry anyway, So I'm good.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
You really didn't feel it. I think arch Manning maybe
would have wanted that outage to happen to him and
everybody else in the US, because I'm pretty sure he
got a lot of messages following his performance yesterday that
we were all anticipating. We were all waiting to see
Texas and Ohio State start the college football season.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Nine am.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
I woke up to watch this game just because I
was like, so curious, what are we gonna get from
a guy who is favored to win the Heisman with
the last name of Manning, who we call arch Manning,
but but we call Grandpa Archie.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
It confuses me too much. It should be the other way.
Grandpa should be arch You should be Archie.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
But whatever. Okay, where you've been part of the Longhorns
for the last two years, haven't played a lot, but
here's your first start to kick off the season against
the defendant national champion. It was a boring game. Let's
get that out of the way.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
It was a boring game on both.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
Sides of the ball. It doesn't matter how you slice
it or dice it. It was a boring game. But yes,
Arch Manning did not look great. He never got in
a rhythm. Also, give it up for I don't know,
the Longhorns punter. He made it so that Ohio couldn't
(03:28):
get in a rhythm in that first half. He had
a couple of nice punts ending, you know, like in
those five yards right by the end zone, to make
it so that Ohio couldn't get in their own rhythm.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Give it up to him.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
But arch Manning did not get in a rhythm, missed
some throws that he shouldn't have missed. But it was
a close score still, even at half, you were just
kind of like, all right, maybe nerves, maybe this, and
then you he does throw a touchdown and a costly
interception and they end up losing the game by the
(04:01):
third quarter.
Speaker 6 (04:02):
Carry.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
I don't know if you if you paid attention to this,
but he was a favorite, favored to start, you know,
the season, as a Heisman winner. By the third quarter.
He dropped a fourth favorite by the third quarter. This
is how we like to react when it comes to sports.
You and I have sat here and we have discussed
the NFL preseason and how you should take it, maybe
with the grain of salt, because you don't really know,
(04:24):
but this is not the preseason. This is this is
Week one though, a kid who is taking on the
champion team on the road, you know, in in uh
not not friendly territory.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
Still not did not. He didn't live up to it.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
So here I am wondering, panic or patients? Panic or
patients when it comes to our opinions of Arch Manning
and what he did what Game one in Texas? I
am saying patients. But I'm wondering, and you're gonna keep
keep me straight here? Am I just saying that because
his last name is Manning? Like if his name was
(05:08):
Caleb Johnson, would I be saying patients or would I
be saying, no, this guy he doesn't. He ain't got it,
He ain't got it. Is it too soon to tell?
Speaker 6 (05:17):
What did?
Speaker 2 (05:17):
What do you think when you saw it? What is
your opinion right now?
Speaker 5 (05:21):
What a name like Caleb Johnson that sounds like he
works as Staples.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
I'm saying the most generic name, right, yeah.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
Very very yeah. But I think about this, I'm gonna
say it's both. It's both, And I'll say this right.
The panic part comes in where he wasn't fundamentally sound,
and that's the part That's what would raise the red
flag for me. Right, of all the things, you can
go into a hostile place, you can go you plan
(05:48):
the number three team in the country. They're they're really good.
They just want a championship. So you could lose that game.
But when you watch Arch and his mechanics in that game,
he was rushed, he was never set, he was nervous,
didn't see the field like a lot of things that
equates the bad quarterback play. And that shouldn't be the case.
(06:09):
He will get better and I know that, and I
know that again they lost fourteen to seven in Ohio State,
Like you know what I mean, this is probably going
to be the worst that he plays. And so if
this is the worst he plays, and this is the
worst their team looks, they're fine. So that's where the
patience comes in. But where the panic comes in, like
I said, is just the way he looked Like the
(06:31):
mechanics weren't there, he was not sound, he was missing
short throws like wide open throws, trying to be cute
and throw side on I'm not get his feet set like.
There was a lot of things to not like about it,
But I promise you he's gonna put up crazy numbers
this year. He's still gonna look fine because that team
is good. And so it's a little bit of both.
This is what we talked about though the preseason. NFL,
(06:55):
you do have those preseason games so you can work
the kinks out, which makes college differ front and makes
it more fun. Is no game one. You gotta lay
them up and be ready to go, absolutely, and if
you're not, we just saw what happens. You look bad
and social media goes crazy and they say all these
weird things, and it's just it's a lot. But this
is fun, this is football, This is college. This is
why I love college. And obviously we're about to transition
(07:16):
to the NFL here soon, but man, college football is
it's it's so good.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
It's here. It's so good. Not the most exciting game,
but I know, if you like, he didn't look comfortable,
not once. I don't know if we give that credit
to Matt Patricia, you know, the new defensive coordinator for Ohio,
for rattling him the entire game.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
Do we just say it's nerves.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
I mean, he didn't have passed longer than ten yards
in the year until the fourth quarter. Yeah, like and
at that point, it's like, all right, like you got it,
But did you get it just because the clock, you know,
hits twelve o'clock twy You know what is that expression?
Like a broken clock hits the.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Right time twice?
Speaker 7 (07:57):
Right?
Speaker 3 (07:57):
So it's like, was he gonna get that.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Because it's the fourth quarter and eventually he's going to
get a pass like that? Or was he Was it
him getting in rhythm? Was it him getting the nerves out?
Was it him finally figuring it out? I don't know,
but I agree with you that I think it's.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
A little bit of both.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
But I will say, like it's interesting to think about
college football and what it is right now and today
in the sense let's go back to five years ago
when the college football playoff was not what it is now.
This loss, yes, would have been you are done.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Yes, you are out of the college football playoffs exactly.
You don't have to worry about that, you don't have
to think like that.
Speaker 5 (08:35):
So the desperation and that's why we're seeing these type
of games, Yeah, because teams want to know where they are.
Right this loss doesn't hurt, it's out of conference, it's
I guess number three team in the country, So yes,
but what you're saying is very much true back in
the day. That's why you would notice softer schedules in
the beginning to get confidence and win blah blah blah
blah whatever. But now you want to have these type
(08:55):
of games on your resume, even if you lose, Like
at the end of the day they lost in Ohio.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Right, No, right, Which is why it's like, are we
go Are we really just going crazy here because of
his name is arch Manning? Because you're right, one score
like they didn't. It wasn't Ohio didn't blow me away.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
It wasn't like that either.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
It wasn't like they came out and you were like, wow,
they are the much better team. You were just like, wow,
arch Manning is struggling. Yes, why is this?
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Is it because it is really his first game.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Yeah, he's been you know, he's had a couple of
play games under his belt, but he hasn't started like this.
He hasn't been the starter for Texas and Longhorns and
representing all this, And it's just kind of like are
we are we overreacting?
Speaker 6 (09:38):
No?
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Is it a little bit of both? And I agree,
I think it's a little bit of both, but yeah,
Texas can go back, and they're just kind of like,
all right, now, let's let's figure out how this happened.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
We have a whole season ahead of us, and we
don't have to worry like this.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
This loss wasn't as significant as it would have been
years back.
Speaker 5 (09:56):
This loss is going to help them.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
It's look at that.
Speaker 5 (09:59):
It is. Yeah, you get to go against the team
that just won the championship last year. You played, you
actually played them last year, and so you now you
have enough footage to see as a Steve Steve Steve Sarkesian.
He gets to see what can work for them. Obviously,
not a lot this game and didn't look good, but
there were plays to be made that were that were
left on the field by arch Man and and that offense.
(10:20):
So if you go back and look at it. I
looked at a few more coverage of it after to
see if it really was an arch Manning thing or
was it a Sarkisian thing? Was it being safe? Yeah, No,
there were players to be made, and so he'll get
the study and get to see it. You know, the
team's going to be behind them. He's the guy, and
so you move forward and get better.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
I mean in that second quarter, like again it ended
at the half in like close, and then they started
the third quarter and arch Manning took him downfield, but
it was all a run game. He didn't throw the
ball once and he got them a first a nice
first down with his legs. He looked.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
There were there were.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
Moments, but it was like still like the moments didn't
didn't hit his as well as maybe we've seen other moments.
But he he drove him down in that third quarter
where he thought, oh maybe, but it was all leg
work that he did there and then they and then
they still weren't able to get a touchdown. Didn't Ohio
State hold him twice on the fourth down, especially in
like getting to me.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Yeah, he just was not pretty in different ways.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
I feel for arch Manning because I can only imagine
what his messages social media.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
I hope somebody took his phone away.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
I know Verizon there was a outage, and I made
the joke that maybe he needed to I hope someone
took his phone away and was just kind of like,
let this one go. We're gonna learn from it, and
we're gonna get better from it, because this is how
you started the season, and it gives you a true
idea of what you look like against the reigning national champion.
Speaker 5 (11:37):
Yeah, and he'll be fine. The thing is people won't forget.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
People will not forget he will.
Speaker 5 (11:43):
He'll be fine. He'll move forward, the team will move forward.
They'll do the best to make sure that he has
the right the right footing moving forward. But yeah, social
media and the world doesn't forget, and that doesn't matter.
That's just fodder and talk. But that's gonna leave it
for a while.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
It's gonna us.
Speaker 5 (11:58):
Because the build up was so huge.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
That the build up was so huge.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
The only way I think people will remember is if
right they end up winning the national title. We're here
talking about this in a couple months, that they turned
it around and arch Manning led the way and.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
He plays them again in the playoffs and he delivers.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
That's the only way it's going to change the opinion,
because yeah, it's the anticipation was so high to be
let down when in reality the game was on both ends,
on both ends of it. But Ohio State wins it,
and now we're gonna have to wait and see what
the Longhorns do because coming into the preseason ranking when
you're the national champion and you are ranked third behind,
(12:38):
but you must be so mad and annoyed or like,
I never I didn't understand those rankings. But it just
goes to show that football football is transitioning before our
eyes in the sense that, like the good teams are
getting even better.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
There's a lot of good out there where I think
before there.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Wasn't as many good, right, like the the difference was
even bigger. Now it's like, y'all, there's a lot of
good and you're just gonna have to figure it out
as you go.
Speaker 5 (13:06):
I mean, being number being right, number one versus number
three is an easy proposition for me to understand. I mean, obviously,
going into it, they thought Archs Manning was a better quarterback,
so off of what no, yeah, I'm sure whatever they whatever,
whatever they base it off, but definitely name versus the
young the young guy saying saying oh.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
Saying yeah, sorry for Ohio State Julian Sane.
Speaker 5 (13:30):
So, I mean, yeah, I can see why they're won
their three. So when you talk about it, it's just
that easy, like if the quarterback, if Arch plays the
way that they expected, they win this game. Right, So
it's not like a big not a.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Big difference, or even if he plays a little bit
like the A Smith much just good, just good, and
just not just going through the motions. It felt like
it's just the beginning of the college football playoff. And
I mentioned Kate Clubnick because I was another big game
that happened yesterday. Uh, we're gonna actually dive into more
of the college football player, college football scene and what's
(14:02):
gonna happen this season with our buddy, our insider, Aaron Torres.

I am thrilled and over the moon to talk to you.
I hope you guys are having a great Sunday. I
hope you had a great Saturday too.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
We appreciate it, yes we did, but so happy to
chat with you.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
Week one is here.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Day one, we just discussed arch Manning and what we saw.
He never looked comfortable, never got in a rhythm, patience
or panic when it comes to arch Manning.
Speaker 11 (17:13):
Aaron, Yeah, I mean I think it should be neither.
And it's not like it's a bad question or anything.
So two things. On Arch one, I was definitely in
the camp of like, okay, there's a world where he
can be unbelievable, but if he was so good. But
(17:36):
basically I said this three months ago, it's like that
we have no tangible proof that he's actually good other
than his last name. And you know, people would say, well,
you know, I mean he's a form or five star
and he's this, and he's that. Well guess what you know?
Ty Simpson, the Alabama starting quarterback, is a former five star.
Nobody named him a preseason my eyes been favorite without
(17:56):
starting meaningful games.
Speaker 5 (17:57):
I'm glad because it did not look like, no, it's okay.
Speaker 11 (18:02):
And you know, I'll say this, it was very underwhelming.
But I guess my second point, and now that I've
had more time to think about it, like, at what
point do we hold Steve Sarkisian accountable? Because I was
thinking about this and I said this last night on
my show. Is you know he's supposed to be this
quarterback savant. Quinn Ewers was quite literally one of the
(18:23):
highest ranked recruits in the history of high school football.
I think, you know, I don't know the exact staff,
but there's only like three quarterbacks that have ever been
graded as like a perfect quarterback coming out of high school,
and quin Yours was one. He at best plateaued at
Texas at worst did not get better. And so with Arch,
I was sitting there thinking, yesterday, you know, Start clearly
(18:46):
coached around yours last year, and he was clearly coaching
around Arch last night or yesterday, excuse me. And so
I was just sitting there thinking, like, this guy has
had two hand picked five star quarterbacks that are supposed
to be generational, and all the guy does is coach
around him.
Speaker 6 (19:00):
And so I.
Speaker 11 (19:01):
Guess my only point is is like, if you're an
offensive genius, like I don't know, I kind of need
to see a little bit more. You're either misevaluating guys
or you're not developing them. So I would say a
little bit of panic, Monki, but it's panic of like
he should like it's a thirty year he should be
further along. So I'm rambling with this answer, but I
(19:21):
think a lot of this falls or should fall on
Sark And by the way, a lot of it some
of the credits should go to pat Matt Patricia, who
I think we all thought it was just kind of
this washed up dude, you know, is he even any good?
And it turns out maybe he knows what he's doing
as well.
Speaker 5 (19:36):
Yeah, I mean I was talking about that too, Aaron, though. Look,
it's a combination of both of me, right, Like I
mean the panic when I looked at art yesterday was
obviously first game, big environment. You look nervous, right, never
was really set, never was really on time with anything.
So processing was a problem. But also just as mechanics
were really were really bad for a guy that should be.
Speaker 6 (19:57):
Let me ask you a question, Yeah, you me in
the form, dude, can we cut it out with the
Patrick Mahomes side arm crap?
Speaker 5 (20:06):
Yes.
Speaker 6 (20:08):
There were three or four times, including once I think
it was on the final drive, essentially the game on
the line. It's like, bro, you're not Mahomes. Dylan Ryola
was not Mahome. There's freaking Patrick Mahomes on the whole planet.
Can we cut the crap with the I'm gonna throw
it and look cool. It doesn't listen. It looks cool
with it doesn't look cool when you skin it eight
(20:31):
yards in front of your wide receiver. So I'll let
carry break down. Like the mechanics of it all. But
it's like we have an epidemic in this country. And
if Pat Corterback's not Dave Patrick Mahomes trying to be
Patrick Mahomes, there's a reason he's one of one. I'm sorry,
that's my soapbox ran for the day.
Speaker 5 (20:49):
I'm glad you got it in because I talked about
that before you came on. The mechanics part of it.
I said he was trying to look a little cool
with the side on stuff, the same thing you said.
But it's I believe you know what I blame, and
I just blame social media, man. I told you it's
too much. It's too much video out there of of
people doing these type of things you're talking about, right,
and it works because they're pros like there's a difference
like you are your work. Even though it looks like
(21:12):
Patrick Mahomes may be gun slinging and doing things that
are unorthodox he trains for that. This isn't something that
he just does. Go ahead, Aaron, how about you?
Speaker 6 (21:21):
How about you complete an eight yard out exactly? We
can we can we do?
Speaker 11 (21:26):
You know, I'm gonna listen.
Speaker 6 (21:27):
I'm not you know, the QB expert here.
Speaker 5 (21:30):
You're a whisperer. You're a whisperer.
Speaker 6 (21:33):
Can we go through the Can we get through like
step one of the route tree before we go to
the uh? You know, it's like playing Madden. It's like,
can you be like the hitter children's level with bumpers
on the side before we just start playing an expert level?
Speaker 5 (21:47):
Sorry, all right, I'm gonna move We want to move
on from arts because we can talk about arts all day.
But I'm gonna go to the other pressing topic from yesterday.
Alabama's bad? Huh? Are they are they gonna? Are they
gonna to be able to regroup from this? And we
and you know me, I'm from Alabama, so I know
that Taylor de Ball's lease is not as long as
people may think it is.
Speaker 6 (22:09):
Well, I think it's certainly not long after after yesterday?
And you know, OK, so we had Ryan Bowler, who
hosts on our Tusco Los a Philliate. We had him
on our show last night, and Ryan is around the
team every day. He was an immediate day and he
really thought two things is that one, the arrival of
Brian Grugg was going to be an X factor, you know,
(22:30):
a guy that's familiar with the board taking stuff off
the bar's plate. But the other thing was is that
I think that you know, last year, there was a
lot of things that you could chalk up to hear one,
you know, he inherited this team. There's a lot of talent, whatever.
And the real the narrative that the team was selling
was that coming out of fall camp it was a
(22:51):
closer group. You know, there were some guys that were
not fully bought in last year and you know, I
did it right to come to Alabama to play Fortick saved.
Maybe you're a senior, you don't want to transfer your
last year or whatever, but you know the guys that
are there now have have you know here too, there's
been four ortal cycles where if they wanted to believe,
they could have And so that was the narrative, and
(23:12):
so I think what was frustrating was the fact that
a lot of the same issues from last year popped
up a lot of the same excuses. I thought tie
since's day after the game. You know, we got complacent
after we got a seven to nothing lead, and that
was like a buzzword that they used way too often
last year. And it's like, it feels like nothing has changed,
(23:34):
and so yet I think the least if they have, well,
I actually don't think there's a scenario where they could
have lost that game, but the manner who they lost
that game, given that it looks so much like the
losses last year, unranked team, quarterback running all over you.
It was just really, really, really a worst case scenario.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
You are listening to Fox Football Sunday. I am Mont Sibilano.
See is the opro safety carry roads and we're talking
to our college expert insider friend, Aaron Torres. Aaron, let's
move on to another game that I am surprised at
the outcome of it. Number nine LSU, number four Clemson.
I thought Clemson would win. They have the established defense,
(24:17):
let let's say, versus an O line that maybe a
little fresh, a little newer when it comes to LSU
and LSU pulls it off, winning seventeenth to ten.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
What surprised you or did you expect LSU to pull
this off?
Speaker 6 (24:32):
We'll tell you what Monsey's let's go down the laundry
list of the ways that I was wrong was my
preseason national champions Kate Klebnik was my preseason Heisman pick.
And by the way, all that that stuff can still happen. Yeah,
but I was up to believe that Garrett Nuffmeyer was
(24:54):
this year's Will Levis. I didn't get it. I don't
see why people are hyping him up. You know, he
was a really pretty average last year. I listen, I could,
you know, talk circles around this. I think the two
things that stand out. One defense is a thousand percent legit.
Remember two years ago, Jadan Daniels won the quarterback and
they you know, Jadan Daniels, I thought rightfully won the Heisman,
(25:18):
and you know you had you had elitist like Steve
Hartman that have hide me both saying I could I
vote for a guy that had three losses And it's like,
if you actually watched those games, it was like they
probably would have lost six games. It's seven games that
Jadan Daniels wasn't unbelievable. So the defense had to improve.
They changed the coaching staff last year, and then last
(25:39):
night it was just like completely lighted out, and so
I was blown away, Monci. I got everything that could
possibly be wrong wrong about that game. And I'll say
this too. You know, listen, Ohio State probably going to
be number one when the next pole comes out. I
have no, like real issue with that. I think, if
(26:00):
we're basing it with what we've seen here in week one,
I think ls you should be number one the cut
to go on the road, and even though the score
was seventeen to ten, it always felt like they were
in control against the constant team that I still think
is pretty good. I thought they were the best team
I saw on Saturday, and clearly, based on that laundry
list of things I told you, that was not something
I was expecting going into last night.
Speaker 5 (26:20):
And the crazy part about that LSU win for me,
I mean, the immediate I guess response to that is
now LSU is going to win the SEC. Do you
think that's going to hold up? I mean, or do
you think Texas is going to have something to say
about that?
Speaker 6 (26:34):
I think LSU should be the favorite, you know, And
it's funny because one week can change everything, right, yeah,
you know, Alabama's kind of had LSU's number. I know
they won the first year, but the last two years
Alabamas dominated them, and now all of a sudden, it's like,
well that game looks a lot different. But yeah, no,
I think there's the best team. Their schedule is tough.
(26:54):
They you know, even before the end of the seven they
played Floord at home, Oldness on the road. They have
to play Oklahoa home, they have to play Alabama. So
I think they're the best team I saw. That doesn't
necessarily you know, when the SEC. But you know, think
I'll give our colleaguen Bernie Prido credit. He's where I
was talking to hit me a few weeks ago about this.
Is this twell teams playoff to change everything. You know,
(27:14):
a lot of state provement last year. You don't have
to be the best team in the SEC or stay tend.
You just got to get into that field at twelve.
And if you can get into that field of twelve,
I think the team like LSU would have a chance.
So I don't know, I don't know if they're the
best team in the SEC. I don't know if they'll
win the SEC. I think these big conferences. Now it's
so much about the schedule, who you're playing, you're not playing.
But I will say they're the best team that I
(27:35):
saw yesterday.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
We're keeping you along here, Ain, but I've got another
one for you and then.
Speaker 6 (27:39):
We'll let you go.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
All right. So it's only week one, but like, do
you see Indiana replicating their success from last season or
do you think there's going to be like another team
out of the Big ten that maybe surprises us.
Speaker 6 (27:54):
Well, what I'll say is that I think it's something
that a lot of people, especially last year, did it
take into consideration. Because with these huge conferences, the schedules
are just going to be completely in balance. And so
I don't always think I think there's going to be
a team every year. I mean, so I an example,
like Nebraska's kind of that buzzy team where like I
(28:18):
don't think people think they're one of the twelve best
teams in the country, but you look at the schedule
the way that it breaks them, I forget everything off
the top of my head. But a lot of people
just have Nebraska because they just look at the schedule
and they say, see, there's a lot of wins, you know,
I'll give you another example. Tennessee only team in the SEC.
They played the four teams that are all projected to
(28:38):
finish in the bottom for Kentucky, Arkansas, Vanderbilt in Mississippi State,
and it's like Tennessee one of the best team. Are
they the best team in the SEC? Or are they
one of the two three best team? I don't know,
but half of their schedule is again literally the worst
part of the COPER. So I just think there's going
to be one of those teams every year. Like I
don't know who's going to be this year. Like I said,
(28:59):
Nebraska's kind of one of those buzzy teams. I think
Tennessee could very much be in the mix again this
year because the schedule break nicely. But I didn't see
your point Mosteam. I think as long as we have
these huge these huge league, we're gonna have years where
a team that's picked seven, eight, nine, tenth, whatever, if
they get the right breaks on the schedule, could absolutely
(29:20):
as to do enough to make the college football playoffs,
and then you know whether they're good enough to win.
There is obviously a different conversations.
Speaker 5 (29:27):
In the year Aaron the only dark horse that has
a chance to sneak in that top top of that
that twelve playoff is Louisville obviously.
Speaker 6 (29:36):
I mean I'll tell you. I'll tell you this, Carrol Roach.
Friday night. Friday Night they play clumbs in at home.
Speaker 5 (29:44):
I know, I.
Speaker 6 (29:45):
Know that's everyone. You know I had, you know, I climb,
we circled for all these great things. But I will say, like,
I don't know, beat LSU. They'll take care of South Carolina.
They sucked, But I'm watch up for that Friday night game.
So yeah, I mean the other thing I'll say really quick,
you know, I think the committee is going to try
(30:05):
to find the second big twelve for second act. They
don't want it to just be this big ten NTC
challenge type thing in the football player. So I alant
to bring it up.
Speaker 11 (30:14):
Because they carry Cardinals. Yeah, there we go, and I'll
see our TV wearing that Cardinal head.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
There you go there on Friday.
Speaker 6 (30:24):
Nights of college football, play a lot better than your
cross state rival. Let'll tell you that one.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Yes, Aaron, thank you so much for coming and hanging.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
Out with us on this Sunday.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
We will definitely be chatting with you throughout this college
football season.
Speaker 4 (30:40):
Yes, we will.
Speaker 6 (30:42):
It's gonna be the NFL, and you're gonna be talking
Jalen and you're gonna ignore me.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
It's okay, we're not going to ignore you.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
We're gonna chat with you again so we can see
how Clemson is doing.
Speaker 3 (30:53):
So you had since you had them.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
Winning this whole thing, and they're starting oning on.
Speaker 6 (30:58):
Well, I think they'll win next week. I think like
chat so I feel pretty good about it.
Speaker 3 (31:02):
Well, there you go there.
Speaker 6 (31:03):
If they don't win next week, that might be.
Speaker 11 (31:05):
The time to have me on for sure.
Speaker 6 (31:09):
I'll have a point to walk at that point.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Welle hundred percent.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
Thanks Aaron. We'll be in touch.
Speaker 6 (31:15):
All right. We have a great afternoon you too.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
You can follow Aaron Torres on next Twitter. Aaron underscore Torres.
Speaker 5 (31:24):
It happens right what week one year?
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Oh yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
But that game, even LSU fans were picking Clemson, you
know what I mean, Like, no, it wasn't. It wasn't like,
oh the Tiger's over here, that they're gonna they're gonna
Nobody was picking them to win.
Speaker 5 (31:40):
No, because they have no confidence in Brian Kelly. That's
the issue. It's not about the player. It's not about
the talent. They have it every year in big games.
Brian Kelly does not win them.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
Well, he won that one.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
He won that one. He won that one.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Chris perfet on the ones and twos and also giving
us the news.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
What's going on, Chris the.
Speaker 10 (31:59):
Multi everything here, ye called me sho he o tani
oh Man, hold on, I gotta, I gotta make a
I gotta, I gotta make it.
Speaker 4 (32:06):
Bett bet out to Mike.
Speaker 10 (32:11):
No, I I you know what I'm doing the damage
to myself. You know why because I am watching you know,
no shade to Aaron Torres, but I am watching now
the most college football game we could possibly have on.
Speaker 4 (32:22):
South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
Speaker 10 (32:25):
With a hold on. This can't be right one second,
just let me just stop. It says ten to eight.
As by the way, that eight is not a you
might be thinking two point conversion. No, Virginia Tech has
scored two field goals and a safety. Not great for
the also not exactly a great showing right now from
a Heisman hopeful and Leonora sellers. But right now, South
(32:47):
Carolina holds onto a two point lead here as we
are deep into the third quarter, about to go to
the fourth quarter where I'm sure this game will finish,
probably like thirteen to eight or something. Baseball scoreboard. Let's
check in right now that Desroit Tigers blanked the Royals.
They are the first AL team to eighty wins. Tarik
schooble seven innings, no earned runs, four k's as his
(33:08):
case continues to grow. The Chicago Cubs scored three runs
the eighth inning to come back. They are tied with
the Rockies going into the ninth inning right now, Dodgers
currently with a four to one lead on the Diamondbacks.
The Rangers of a five zero lead on the Athletics
bottom of the sixth inning. There Earlier the US Open,
Carlos Alcaraz defeated Arthur Rinderneck in three sets. And coming
(33:32):
up in about an hour and change. No fact, Djokovic
will be taking the court in New Yawk. Moncey and
carry back to you.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
Thank you, Chris. You are listening to Fox Football Sunday Football.
It's here, Carrie, he's the All Pro safety. Carry Roads.

on the other.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
Side, we're going to dive into something.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
Carry that like, listen, it's there's a time for everything,
and I love the idea of it. It just wasn't
the right time. So I'm glad it didn't happen.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
Like that fruit fly that's almost hitting me in the building,
I'm glad that didn't happen either, So I got to you.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
You get it, it's gonna happen. I'm just glad it
hasn't happened.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
Right now, we'll get into it. He's carry on, Monty.
It's Fox Sports Sunday.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
That's right, football is here, best time of the year.
What are you doing, Carry Rhodes. I have no idea
what Carry Rhads is doing. Did you step on your
mic cable?
Speaker 5 (34:47):
My cable stuck underneath my tail right now, so I'm
trying to finagle that you do your driving.
Speaker 6 (34:52):
I know.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
It just was I was like, what is wrong with
this man? He looks like he's stuck in a weird way.
He's the All Pro safety and he is back carry Roads.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
I am Monty Bilanio's thanks for hanging out with us
tuning in. We have volleyball on one of our screens
and I love it. I love volleyball. Share your big volleyball, Come.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
On, big fan.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
And I was just telling Carry how I I think
watching volleyball is one of the funnest fun It's so
fun to watch.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
But I'll tell you this, if you don't understand it,
to keep up, we would.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
I actually think like, even if you don't understand it,
you can enjoy volleyball.
Speaker 4 (35:27):
Women's volleyball is pretty straightforward.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
And also women's volleyball is better than men's volume because
of the rally, because guys smash the ball and it's over.
With girls, it's a little bit more back and forth
until the girl smashes the ball. Oh yeah, you guys
don't have a chest pass so you can just dive.
We've got to roll and protect ourselves, Like we can't
(35:53):
just dive.
Speaker 5 (35:53):
Well that's the reason. Yeah, that's the reason I'm tuning in.
To be honest, It's like, I mean, they're they're beautiful
they're beautiful women, they're athletic and they're skilled.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
Great, it's a great There is not one bad thing.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
About It's my favorite outfit.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
Like I get it.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
It's not it's not too short, it's not too long.
The refs aren't bad. There isn't like like they use computers.
And there isn't one bad thing about women's Wow.
Speaker 5 (36:20):
I love that.
Speaker 6 (36:21):
No.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
Yeah, and it's fun to watch because the rallying gets
really unlike for men's it's just like, oh, you're strong
and you killed it.
Speaker 3 (36:27):
Every It's boring. It's boring. All right, let's move on
to women.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
Speaking of women, shake, I thought you were going to
do it when I got distracted by the score that
I keep looking up at.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
Between this college football game.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
Speaking of women, I am all for women breaking barriers
and doing all the things, and Don Staley is going
to do that, I think maybe one day in the NBA.
But this week on a podcast, she revealed, well we
all had heard but weren't exactly sure, that the New
York Knicks did interview her for the head coaching job,
and she said, in this pot I would have taken
(37:01):
the job had they offered it. They obviously didn't offer it,
and I'm kind of glad they didn't carry. We talked
about that Knick's job is a job that I don't
know how you would want it.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
The expectation is already.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
So high for a team that made it to the
conference finals that that is what you are expected to deliver.
If a woman would have stepped in those shoes and
it did not go even sort of a little bit
the way it was planned, she would be crucified and
it would be the end of women being able to
coach in the NBA. Becky Hammond was in a perfect
prime position with the Spurs. She left to be a
(37:33):
head coach on the WNBA. I get that girl goal
winning over there with the aces, right with championships. She's
done it.
Speaker 3 (37:40):
But one of the.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
Things that don Staley said in this podcast that she
revealed she's like she felt a shift in the interview
when she asked them, are you prepared to have a
woman be your head coach and the scrutiny that will
come with it?
Speaker 3 (37:56):
I love that, And I wonder if the Knicks in
that moment were like.
Speaker 5 (38:00):
Yeah, you might be right, you might.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
I don't know if we've thought about this, Yeah, And
I don't know if many people have thought of this.
He or she is a successful woman in basketball, right Like, No,
I do think there is a real chance she is
one of the first female coaches in the NBA, right, Like,
it would not surprise me. But going into with the.
Speaker 3 (38:22):
Nicks was not the place to start for a woman
in that position.
Speaker 5 (38:27):
Yeah, I mean don Staley, She's won at every level.
She's been successful at every level, I mean Olympic level,
all of it. Like she's one of the best, one
of the greatest, no matter, no matter male, female, whatever
the case may be. But yeah, this would have been
an impossible situation. And the thing about it, would she
asked them, is that, like, are you guys ready for
(38:47):
what comes with this? A tough week, a losing streak,
She's she's awful, she's the worst. Hire shouldn't have a
woman done all of it like it would have been.
It would have been a spectacle. But I do see
it happening at some point. This just wasn't the time
for it, Not not in this situation with the expectations
to win one.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
Percent of all. And I give it up to the
Knicks for even interviewing her, right And I don't know
if they had thought of those.
Speaker 3 (39:13):
Questions, Like she said, are you ready for the for
the media circus that.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
It's gonna be because you hired a woman, and if
we we don't start off well or we don't deliver.
And now I'm wondering if, like if that had never
been asked, if other teams had ever even thought of that.
And it's like, not that she can't do, it's just
that there are situations where it's like, this is not
meant to be, you know, and it wasn't meant to
be for her to go be the face of the
(39:39):
Knicks right now, not right now. And I'm glad she
set the things out loud. I'm glad she put this
out on the podcast because this is a real, a
real thing where like, yeah, you're you're gonna be looked
at differently the minute. The first team to do that
is going to be looked at differently and under a
different microscope.
Speaker 5 (39:56):
You got, but somebody has to take the chance first.
So whatever team does that and gives and gives that
woman that opportunity opportunity will always be remembered as well.
So there is a there's two sides to look at it. Hey,
but the pressure of New York and what that entails.
I've played in New York. Obviously, the media is it's
a it's a different it's a different level mons. So
if things go sour there, obviously we just saw Tom Thibodeau,
(40:18):
a really good coach in the NBA. When things don't
go well, as magnify, right, So just imagine that from
the other perspective of being the first female to do
it would have been intense.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
It would have been intense. Could we comfortably say there
will be a female coaching in the NBA in five years,
in the next five years comfortably?
Speaker 5 (40:33):
I can never say anything comfortably when it comes to
the NBA, but I would love to see that at
some point.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
I think in about five years, I feel like that
can be a real step on it.
Speaker 4 (40:42):
Five yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
Think within five years, especially if we're already interviewing them,
we're getting closer to it. And again, Becky Hammond was close.
Speaker 3 (40:48):
It seemed like she was being set up to do
that with the Spurs and it just you.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
Know, didn't work out. A big trade this week in
the NFL, Carrie, what does it mean?
Speaker 3 (40:57):
We kind of talked about it before the trade even.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
Happened, but we're gonna talk about it again.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
He's Carrie a Mansi Fox Football Sunday. That's right.
Speaker 5 (41:05):
Ow ow ow ow was that a auci or was
that excitement?
Speaker 2 (41:09):
Because football hurts? Football hurts, so I would never I
would not know. But it looks like it hurts.
Speaker 4 (41:16):
That's more like ow wow.
Speaker 3 (41:18):
Oh, suck it up, get out there, get out there.
Speaker 2 (41:20):
What's up? Everybody?
Speaker 3 (41:20):
Happy Sunday?
Speaker 2 (41:21):
Thank you for tuning in and hanging out with the
all pro safety Airy Roads. You can follow him on
ext Twitter, Carrie on twenty five Roads. Sorry Underscore was
erin Torres who we talked to the last hour, But
Carrie twenty five Roads on next Twitter and on Instagram
at Carry Roads on Moncey Bolanos. You can find me
across social media at Moncey Bolanos. Carry and I have
sat here the last couple of months and one of
(41:43):
the things we discussed the last couple of weeks was
the Michael Parsons situation. And I also brought up the
Packers last week on a separate note. So this week,
in case you were living under a rock, I'm sure
you already heard Micah Parsons. The Cowboys or Star Pass
Rush sure decided they were gonna trade him instead of
giving him a nice little payout. He takes the trade,
(42:06):
goes to the Green Bay Packers, immediately signs an extension
four years I believe one hundred and eighty eight million,
making him the highest paid non quarterback in NFL history.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
And I have so many thoughts about it.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
Carrie, you seem to have been on it before everybody else.
You seem to have made not that you predicted this,
but you kind of were like, I don't see why
the Cowboys would necessarily pay this man that much money,
especially when you've already paid Ceede Lamb and Dak Prescott. Yes,
(42:39):
Michael Parsons is great. There is no denying that.
Speaker 5 (42:41):
Right.
Speaker 2 (42:41):
You could argue his performances in the playoffs have lacked excitement, lackluster.
You could argue that during the playoffs he has not
done much for the Cowboys the regular season.
Speaker 3 (42:51):
Of course, he's a threat. He's somebody that you have
to plan against.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
Right, if you are a defensive coordinator, you probably have
to plan against that guy. Now he goes on to Wisconsin,
and I said, last week out of the division in
the NFC North The Packers should have the most pressure
to win that division because new coordinators in Detroit with
(43:16):
the Vikings using a rookie quarterback that we have no
idea what he's capable of the Bears, I'm not entirely
sure how Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams's chemistry is going
to work out for their first year. I don't know.
Packers should win that division. Now I'm standing ten tolls,
ten fingers all of it. Even more so, Packers should
absolutely win that division. I don't think the Cowboys are bad,
(43:40):
are left in a bad situation.
Speaker 3 (43:42):
I really don't see that. They get two first round
draft picks, so now they got four for next year.
Speaker 2 (43:48):
They were able today to play Deron Bland. That whole
story is like, no, this was in the works. They
were just waiting to see what happens with Michael Parsons.
What do you make of all of this? And Kerry,
before you answer, Michaeh. Parsons was already in Green Bay,
and we have sound of him when he was asked
how he felt about the trade, and this is what
(44:10):
he had to say.
Speaker 12 (44:12):
Honestly, everything happens for a reason. It's a blessing in disguise.
You know you I may not know had that answer
for you yet, but I'm gonna figure it out and
I'm gonna just keep I'm gonna work hard every day
to prove that, you know, the packers organization made the
right decision and trusted me, and you know, I'm gonna.
Speaker 2 (44:31):
Carry that with me carry What do you make of
all this?
Speaker 5 (44:35):
Yeah, it's a very complex situation, right, And we have
talked about this, and I've talked about everybody just saying
it's just it's gonna be done and it's just Jerry
Jones and it's the show. I was like pumped the brakes.
I understand that there was an agreement of money and
things that Jerry Jones had with Micah, and there was
an understanding, and then once that understanding is kind of
(44:57):
shattered and then there's new negotiations, Jerry Jones doesn't handle
that part well. If he has his mindset on something,
he's probably set on whatever that thing is. And so
I would tell everybody just slow down. I don't know
if I don't know if this gets done, and I
don't know if they pay him exactly what he wants
just because he wants it. So I said it, it's
like no, I mean, it doesn't work that way. And
(45:18):
I've talked about it again. Players in their trade demands
now the player thinks they have power, they really don't.
Like they didn't trade them when he wanted to be traded.
They traded them when they wanted to trade him because
there was no solution to the problem. Like these things
aren't just as easy and as black as white, black
and white as people make it make them come out
to be. And so when you think about a guy
like Michael Parsons, he's had a lot of success in
(45:41):
his career so far, what has that correlated for the
Dallas Cowboys? Nothing?
Speaker 2 (45:46):
Not much.
Speaker 5 (45:48):
And so if you're paying exactly so, if you're paying
money to a guy that can be a franchise cornerstone,
a guy that can change a franchise to the word
you're trying to get to, that needs to happen and
it just hasn't happened yetting So if you're gonna pour
into this one player all this money, then you can't
compete and sign other players that you need to get
(46:10):
to that level. If you pay Michael Parsons on the money,
now you got a problem with dron Bland in his
contract and he's the corner that they need. He's their
standout guy. Why while Trevon Diggs is out. So that's
just so many moving parts of this. I think the
fact that both teams moved on. Micah is in a
really good situation as well. I think he'll be fine.
He got paid, he'll be fine. So there's no sympathy there.
(46:32):
Now for the Cowboys, you got to go out and win.
Now you've made a big Bowl move. Everybody's talking about it.
It's the craziest thing ever. But you gotta wait and
see again overreactions to things that people have predetermined answers to.
Speaker 3 (46:46):
One thing's for sure.
Speaker 2 (46:47):
It was a tough year for Dallas fans just in general,
right Dallas, it was rough.
Speaker 3 (46:51):
You guys lost Luka Dan.
Speaker 4 (46:54):
Ego.
Speaker 2 (46:54):
Harrison is still a worse Okay. I look at the
situation and it's like, Okay. The story is that Jerry
Jones and Micah Parsons may have had some sort of
verbal agreement. Jones even said that he was willing to
give him the most guaranteed money, which there's no reason
to believe that that's not true, because he does he waits,
(47:14):
but he pays.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
Yes, he pays, so there's no reason to not believe that.
Speaker 2 (47:18):
And then the agent seems to have had their ego
bruised that he wasn't a part of it. So I
am here wondering how the agent is not to blame
because to me, you're supposed to work for your client.
And one thing that I believe Michael Parsons did not
want to leave Dallas. That answer that we just played
(47:40):
for you. He didn't say I'm so glad this is over.
I'm so glad to be here in Green Bay and
get working. He literally said, I don't know. Everything happens
for a reason. That's what you yes, because honest, but
you know what I mean. Like that also shows he didn't.
I don't think he wanted to leave Dallas. This was
not his plan. He even before there's a couple of
I told you there was one time where he said,
(48:02):
I don't need to be the highest paid so that
we can have a pay other players around me. Then
on his podcast this past year, he had Jordan Love
on his podcast and he asked, Jordan.
Speaker 3 (48:12):
Love, what player do you maybe want to play with
in the NFL?
Speaker 2 (48:15):
And He's like, the guy sitting right across from me,
and then did what did Michael Parson say? Nah, Man,
I'm I'm a one team guy.
Speaker 3 (48:23):
That's what he said this year, Carrie. He did not
want to go this agent was looking out for himself
and did not I think have Micah's best interests at heart,
Because once he goes to.
Speaker 2 (48:36):
You and is like, I had this conversation with Jerry
and this is actually, you know what, I'm cool with this.
What do you think?
Speaker 3 (48:42):
And he says, you know, we could probably get more.
Speaker 2 (48:44):
It's like, okay, then go back and talk to him,
and even if Jerry's mad, then at that point you
step out of it and you let Micah continue.
Speaker 3 (48:50):
Like what there is I don't think there is a rule.
Speaker 2 (48:53):
In the CBA for the NFL players that the NFL
that the agent has to be a part part of it.
I don't think there is a rule right that he
has to be there. No, you can have an agent,
of course, but he doesn't have to be there. So
how how is are we not blaming? I just think
he let Michael Parsons down looking out for himself, getting
(49:15):
himself more money.
Speaker 3 (49:16):
Yeah, Micah is getting more money, but I don't think
that's what he wants.
Speaker 2 (49:19):
He literally has been saying this over and over throughout
the years, and he said it this year to Jordan Love.
Speaker 3 (49:24):
I'm a one team guy.
Speaker 5 (49:25):
Yeah, that's a fair, it's a I sound like you
on that. Yeah, that's a I'm picking up your habits
my job. It's a fair. It's a fair assessment. I
think everybody wants to do their job. Does that make sense?
So think about this, So the player plays the agent
is the agent right like in in the agent's mind,
(49:47):
his ego was shattered, and that doesn't and it shouldn't
be because obviously, if they if there was a deal
in the deal that that player wants and likes for
for him and his family, you move forward forward with that.
You don't have to be the guy that broker the deal.
Like that's I think that's an ego play. And I
think that's what gets in the way with a lot
(50:07):
of agents and a lot of players in general, right
going through that don't going through contract talks or sometimes
sometimes fishy, sometimes hard, right for me going through that
process myself trying to get top dollar, but also understanding
that look a few dollars short for me, doesn't It's
not going to hurt me in that situation, So why
am I really trying to do it? Like removing yourself
(50:29):
from trying to accomplish whatever the goal is and seeing
does this make sense? For Micah and Dallas, it made sense.
Seems like they had their guy. Their relationship with him
and Jerry up until this point has been glowing, glowing,
and I think one of those relationships where you can
feel comfortable planned for that guy and in that situation.
So for that to be shattered to the degree that
(50:51):
it is, you know, there's outside forces, and so the
agent would be one of those people that was one
of the outside forces.
Speaker 2 (50:58):
Micaeh Parsons to Cowboys Nation in his Goodbye Yeah. One
of the things he said, I never wanted this chapter
to end, but not everything was in my control. My
heart has always been here and it still is through
it all. I never made any demands. I never asked
for anything more than fairness. I only asked that the
person I trust to negotiate my contract be part of
the process.
Speaker 3 (51:17):
Does that sound like a person wants to leave Dallas?
Speaker 5 (51:20):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (51:20):
I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (51:22):
There is a video circulating of a little boy where
his mom tells him when she picks him up from
school that Michael Parsons has been traded, and the little
boy starts crying. Now there's a follow up to that.
I'm gonna sneeze.
Speaker 3 (51:31):
No, I'm not you say, I'm no, I'm good.
Speaker 2 (51:33):
Okay, whoo, I was sparking far I thought I was
and I thought I was gonna seize into the micro.
Speaker 3 (51:37):
No, I'm good that.
Speaker 2 (51:38):
Now there's a follow up to that video that Michael
Parsons facetimed. This little boy, Yo, how much do you
love Dallas? How much do you love the Cobbos that
you feel the need to do this for this little boy? Like,
if you were not still your heart in it with
Dallas this, you know, you wouldn't have done this because
a lot of people were sad and upset that you
were traded. And here he is reaching out and saying
(52:01):
like I'm sorry. You know, things happen like in life,
and it was a very sweet message. But it's like,
do you see, like all you're still showing me is
how much you loved being a cowboy.
Speaker 5 (52:11):
Yeah, it's tough when you get drafted by.
Speaker 3 (52:13):
A team and you that is the Cowboys.
Speaker 5 (52:15):
Yeah, and you know, yeah, that is that.
Speaker 3 (52:18):
It is the Cowboys, like the Yankees, like the Lakers.
Speaker 5 (52:21):
Yeah, but the Green Bay Packers a story franchise as well.
He's just there's a level of comfortability.
Speaker 2 (52:27):
But it's a different brand.
Speaker 3 (52:28):
Sorry co On.
Speaker 2 (52:29):
Yes, it's a storied franchise, but the Packers are not
a brand.
Speaker 5 (52:33):
No, I mean the Cowboys are, I mean pretty much
the only brand in the NFL in my opinion. Sure,
so that's that's a thing. So yes, for sure, But
he's going to a situation. Yes, it's gonna stay for
a while. And I only said it because he's comfortable there.
That is home, that's the only home he's known. So yes,
there's gonna be relationships and and things about the city
(52:53):
that you value and you're gonna miss and all those
things are real. It's it's fresh. But let's give him
a little time and he goes to Green Band he's
winning and they win a championship this year. I think
that I think that will soften. But for him, for
Micah personally, I love the way he's handled the exit
and the fact that he's reached out to this kid
is it's beautiful because you don't know those relationships that
you sever along the way, and they could be taking
(53:16):
out the context unless you are able to talk to
that person or communicate with those persons directly. So I
love that.
Speaker 2 (53:23):
I do too.
Speaker 3 (53:23):
I thought it was really sweet and I agree with you.
Speaker 2 (53:25):
He has handled this like a gentleman the whole thing,
because he could come out and have said some negative
things about Jerry Jones, about the Cowboys, about his agent,
because I'm sayings about his agent, you know, like, I'm
just like, but he has handled it like taking it
with a stride. I mean, how else could you have
handled it. It could have gone it could have been bad.
(53:47):
It could have been bad.
Speaker 3 (53:48):
He has handled it well. I just I'm just like, man,
I don't think you wanted this. I don't think this
is what you were hoping for.
Speaker 5 (53:54):
I think the person that can that can answer that
for us is coming up with us in a few
as far as the agent come station goals, because sure
he's got a little hand in that.
Speaker 3 (54:02):
Do you mean our NFL insider Adam Kaplin, Yeah, that guy, Yeah,
the man that is a great idea, Carrie.
Speaker 2 (54:07):
I think we should talk to him next, and we will.
He is the all pro safety carry roads. I am
Wantie Bolanos. Don't go anywhere because we're going to talk
to Adam Kaplan about the Cowboys what does this mean
for them and the Packers and so much more because
NFL is here. Carrie box football Sunday. Don't go anywhere. Yeah,
(54:28):
go ahead, bringing football back.
Speaker 5 (54:30):
Go ahead, be gone with it.
Speaker 3 (54:32):
What's up everybody? Box football Sunday. We are here in
his football season.
Speaker 2 (54:39):
Yep, Carry's bringing sexy back with his green shorts.
Speaker 3 (54:44):
I do like your little green shots, I do.
Speaker 5 (54:46):
They're very comfortable. Yeah, I'm all about comfort now. I
know when my grandfather was always wearing sweatpants and a
T shirt and house.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
You get it.
Speaker 5 (54:53):
It's about being coffee.
Speaker 2 (54:55):
It is about being comfy, though nowadays it really is.
Speaker 3 (54:58):
I'm Wanti Bologno's He's the all pro.
Speaker 2 (55:00):
Safety with green shorts Carry Roads and you can follow
him on ext Twitter at Carry twenty five Roads or
on Instagram at Carry Roads. You can follow me Monty
Bolognas across social media at Moncy Bilangos.
Speaker 3 (55:11):
I will back to volleyball real quick.
Speaker 2 (55:13):
I will say volleyball was difficult to follow back in
the day, Shay, when you only got a point when
you served Yeah, that was difficult to fall.
Speaker 4 (55:23):
Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 2 (55:24):
Now everyone wins a point and you know, clear's day
who gets the point?
Speaker 4 (55:28):
Yeah, you know what really slowly too?
Speaker 2 (55:30):
Yes, back then.
Speaker 1 (55:31):
It will go slow and the rotations too, don't one
how to position? So like, yeah, the same person wasn't
playing the same position every time, Like the best player
wasn't playing the best spot. You know it, right, Yeah,
they've made it to a point where.
Speaker 2 (55:42):
It's easy to follow and it's fun and you get it.
Speaker 3 (55:45):
Oh, you just won the point.
Speaker 1 (55:46):
ABP is great. The beach volleyballs, I think that is
so much fun to watch.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
Yeah, llat, I watched that because I just on Donors.
Speaker 3 (55:53):
I can't play beach volleyball so hard.
Speaker 2 (55:55):
It's so hard.
Speaker 4 (55:57):
Times's completely different sport.
Speaker 3 (55:59):
You get still, you get stuck.
Speaker 2 (56:02):
I like to think that I caught pretty good hops
for my height on the sand.
Speaker 3 (56:07):
I can't even get off the sand.
Speaker 4 (56:08):
Yeah, you impossible.
Speaker 2 (56:11):
I feel I feel stupid when I play beach volley uncoordinated,
uncoordinated and stupid.
Speaker 1 (56:17):
You could be the best athlete in the world and yeah.
Speaker 3 (56:19):
And it doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (56:20):
Uh, this week big trade when it comes to the NFL, right,
and we have our NFL insider, Adam Kaplan here joining us.
Speaker 3 (56:27):
Adam, Happy, Sunday football season is here.
Speaker 5 (56:30):
Let's go out.
Speaker 9 (56:31):
I know the last Sunday carried until March that we
won't have football. So this is great. I mean, we
got this. We got the big game in Philly. Know
Michael Parsons though obviously can get into that and the
comedy of it's Jerry Jones. It's the gift you didn't
know you needed, but you continue to get it from
Jerry Jones.
Speaker 2 (56:48):
Yeah, let's get into that, Adam, because you know, Carrie
was one of the few people that was saying like,
I don't know if Michael Parsons is gonna get what
he wants. I don't know if I would pay one
player that when you've paid other players.
Speaker 3 (57:01):
I thought it was gonna happen. I did not expect
the trade.
Speaker 2 (57:04):
But I also don't think the Cowboys are in a
terrible position with everything now that it's been said and done.
In fact, I think they sneak in as a wild card. Still,
what do you make of all of this? How shocked
were you?
Speaker 9 (57:17):
I was surprised. I'm really surprised by anything. I was
surprised because if you know, and then Jerry Jones confirmed it.
So Jerry Jones My understanding was the offer that he
made in April was over forty million per season, right,
and so for him to say and he didn't say
it just once, he said it more than once. He
repeated himself, Well, we're better off with this trade. He said,
(57:38):
we're better off with Parsons off the team. Well, then
that's called double talk. You say one thing and you
do another. So I know he denied this. There's any acrimony,
which is nonsense. Obviously there was. Jones tried to fast one.
He tried to negotiate without the agent involve which is
a no no. NFLPA, by the way, should have steped
in out so we know they're a leadership problem. So
(58:00):
they never stepped in. And Michael doesn't having a of it.
And Jerry Jones's mister handshake agreement a verbal agreement in
this case, said he had a deal. Well, Michaeh said no,
and Jerry had not forget about it. He had not
forgotten about that. He kind of held it against him, yep,
And Micah tried to uh the word was around the
(58:20):
club the last week. He tried to make amends. He
really did not want to be traded as the word
that I got from two people, but he got fed up.
J Jerry, this not Carrie. What do you think of
this affixation with Jerry? Jones continued to talk about that
they got it trying to stop the run. I thought
it was funny. He must have said it ten times.
Speaker 5 (58:39):
Yeah, and that's I mean, obviously we know this. And
when you're one of the being paid as the best
player non quarterback player, like, there are certain things that
comes with that, right, you cannot just be a one
sided type of player. Now, I don't watch Mike enough
to know if he's really great against the run, but yeah,
there's definitely a dig. It's the it's definitely a dig
(59:00):
Micah and you know him possibly chasing sacks, d ns
and outside pass rushers a lot of times when they're
really you know, the complete edge rusher, they can play
the run and play the pass right. And so those
guys are also disciplined in the game plan. So if
game plan they say this week, we're not going to
go up the field to try to stop the quarterback.
We're gonna play it solid, We're gonna play it safe.
(59:22):
We're gonna stop the run, like those things are incorporated
in those players. And so remember we had the conversation
out him. I was like, I don't know if you
pay pay him that much to be that guy, if
you had an agreement or whatever, the thing is to
try to just overpay to make it happen. So I'm
kind of on the Cowboys side here, and I may
be one of the only ones, but that's that's how
(59:42):
I feel about it. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (59:43):
Yeah, So Kurry, here's the thing. They've got four pastors, right, Yeah,
the veteran Dante Fowler, who's a good player by the way,
he's more of a journeyman at this point. Yeah, Marshaw Kneeland,
their second rounder last year, who they like, but he
got hurt yet a knee injury. A guy I'm very
high on, Donovan as Roku, who was the second rounder
of Boston College, who had some late first round grades
(01:00:04):
with clubs. And then Sam Williams, who was the second
round of twenty two. He's coming off a knee injury.
He had pretty significant off the field issues coming into
the twenty two draft. Dallas is willing to take shots
on character and they did, and they're hoping that he
could contribute a bit the season. So they're gonna have
enough guys, but they just don't have that a level
pass Rusher and Parsons. Yeah you would rather, you ay,
(01:00:29):
like they would have loved of this to work out,
of course, and they taught you know, I know their
leadership thing has been brought up, but I know internally
something they talked to him about. But the bottom line
is they never had a problem with him being a
four time Pro Bowl and then up right.
Speaker 5 (01:00:43):
Of course there's always going to be part and sts
on the way out of Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:00:46):
It happens. It's a shame. And now see it's interesting,
like I try to always find out why things happen
and then partially information I get. I'm positive that this
was a Jerry Jones versus Micah who carries the weight
because you know, I don't know how many times we've
talked about this. Jerry always wait till the nfpays more.
He over pays.
Speaker 5 (01:01:05):
Yes, now he was.
Speaker 9 (01:01:06):
The word was it was gonna be more than than
the Miles Garretelle. Then of course it would have been
beaten by TJ.
Speaker 5 (01:01:13):
Watt.
Speaker 9 (01:01:13):
So differently. As a matter of fact, Dijer wat Steel
would be much better for a guy who turned thirty
one this fall. But the bottom line is they don't
have that. They're they're gonna be worse off. Now, Montie,
I'll send it back to you. Why do you feel
like they would be a playoff team.
Speaker 2 (01:01:26):
I just think they're I think they're not going to
be that much worse without him.
Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
I get it, I get it star Pass Rusher.
Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
But I looked at their schedule and just I thought
they could get ten wins and sneak in as a
wild car. When I kind of dove into the NFC,
I kind of earlier this week or earlier today with
Steve Hartman. We went into every division and at the
end I had my final tallies for every team, and
I was like, if I based on what I wrote down,
they could sneak in. And I just I think that
(01:01:54):
they always sneak in. Yeah, they always sneak in, and
then that's it, and so I don't see that changing.
Speaker 9 (01:02:04):
Well, on your point about the schedule, Okay, let's assume
they lose in Philly on Thursday, will be sure, Yeah,
but then they host the Giants. Yep, that's a that
they got to win. That I know they're not a
good home team lately. The Cowboys have not been. Then
that's the fun one at Chicago, the host Green Bay,
they're at the Jets, who unfortunately carry the.
Speaker 5 (01:02:22):
Stop at them, stop.
Speaker 9 (01:02:25):
At Carolina. They host Washington, at Denver host the Cardinals.
Now they have a buying week ten. I could see
four wins, maybe five at most. It would surprise me
if they get at more than five. So if they
could be five and fourth to buy Moncey, they got
a shot.
Speaker 3 (01:02:41):
They got a shot a playoff.
Speaker 2 (01:02:42):
That's what I was just like, I think they have
a shot.
Speaker 3 (01:02:44):
But let's let's go to the Packers. Because prior to this,
I said that the Packers have.
Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
The most pressure to win that division because of the
situation with the other teams new coordinators, Ricky quarterback. I
don't know how Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams this chemistry
gonna work out in their first year together. Ye, most
pressure for them. Obviously they believe in this pressure because
they made this move.
Speaker 9 (01:03:05):
They're all in so Manzi, here's why they made the trade.
Other than partsons was available, so they went for it.
So they've got one. Would you'd say quality pass rusher
opposite or other than Parsons.
Speaker 5 (01:03:18):
Now.
Speaker 9 (01:03:18):
Rashauan Gary was the first round of twenty nineteen. Nice player.
He needed help on the other side, and they got
big help Lucas van Ness, who was a first round
pick two years ago. In twenty three. It hasn't worked out.
He was drafted for a thirty four front. They fired
the defense corn there Joe Barry and Jeff Haffley, who
came in last year runs at forty three. So van
(01:03:38):
Neess really does not fit the scheme at all. He's
kind of a man without a home and they just
don't have anyone else could rush the pastor so they
kind of manzi. They had to do something significant truly
helped their past rush. Now, the one problem I have
with the Packers, by the way, I already picked them
before this trade.
Speaker 5 (01:03:54):
I picked him about them.
Speaker 9 (01:03:56):
Because the Lions. Honestly, the Lions have past rush issues
and back issues. But the one problem I have with
it with the Packers is they don't have an a
level cornerback. They're great at safety. Keishaw Nix has been
a great story as a former Raider and then he
some years ago he came over became one of the
better special teams returners. Now he's a decent corner. Nate
(01:04:18):
Hobbs signed a big free agent contract. Some teams like
them as a nickel only I just don't think they're
good at corner. This is why I don't Again, there's
always something wrong with this Packer team when they get
to the playoffs. Cornerback is a real problem for me
with a team.
Speaker 5 (01:04:30):
Well, and that's the reason. And that's the answer to
the cornerback thing, Adam, So that's why you're bringing the
pass rus the ball. Come ye, I get it.
Speaker 9 (01:04:38):
We'll see if it works.
Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
But you know, last year the Packers like good, solid team,
but their offense dropped a lot of balls. So like
they're fixing one one side, But what about their offense, Like,
do you think they're going to tie up? I know
Matthew Golden, they drafted that rookie wide receiver, but like
they dropped the most passes if I remember correctly.
Speaker 9 (01:04:57):
They did drop a ton. Now, now Love had an inconsistency.
He did get hurt against the Eagles in Week one.
I do worry about if Josh Jacobs get hurt gets
hurt because Marshawn Lloyd went on ir and doesn't look
like he's could be available to season potentially.
Speaker 6 (01:05:12):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (01:05:13):
So and then remember Christian Watson, who's their most explosive receiver.
It's come back from the ACL. He's not ready yet.
So Matthew Golden, now, I'll tell you what a lot
of teams thought he should have gone on the second
or third round. He's not gonna a lot of He's
not gonna get a lot of targets. This is what
we call a heavy twelve personnel team with Craft and
must Grave the tight ends. Jane Reed will be their slot.
(01:05:34):
You'll have Romeo Dobbinson on the final evers deal with
Golden who you mentioned, and Dantaevin Wooks is pretty good backup.
They're gonna be fine with past targets. It's not okay,
probably better than average offensive line, not great, kind of overachieved.
This is a good team, don't get me wrong. They're
just not elite that I'll be honest with you, folks,
and we'll talk more about the week. One will be
(01:05:54):
fine when we talk next week. I don't see an
elite team right now in the NFC. I really don't.
I the Eagles lost. The Eagles have fighting starters on defense,
Detroit's got other than Hutchinson, who were just assumed it's
going to be back to normal.
Speaker 5 (01:06:08):
Right.
Speaker 9 (01:06:08):
They have past rush problems, they were not good at
corner last season. They haven't. I mean, they brought d J.
Reed and who I like, but I'm just not sold
in Detroit being that elite team again.
Speaker 5 (01:06:19):
Right, And that was my thing talking about the NFC North, right,
I mean I felt that the Packers would probably win it,
I think, and we talked about this, Adam, But you know,
obviously Golf is the I guess the better quarterback at
the moment, but I think Jordan Love is going to
be that guy so talented. Yeah, so you just you
just put that guy in that team who has that
tradition and they're usually always in the mix anyway. Like,
(01:06:41):
if they don't win this division this year, like Manci said,
like it can be a real be a real disappointment.
Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
Absolutely, let's shift to a different team. Though, before we
let you go here, Adam, I do have a question
about Juwan Jennings and the forty nine ers. He wanted
an didn't want an extension, said he wasn't going to play.
Here we are week one, what's gonna happen. Is he
gonna show up?
Speaker 3 (01:07:02):
Is he playing? Juwan Jennings and the forty nine ers?
Speaker 2 (01:07:05):
What's going on?
Speaker 9 (01:07:06):
Yeah, I mean they're they're they're not looking to trade him.
I mean this, they definitely don't want to. I mean
sure they could change your mind. Now the promise is
asking price. He say, here's the deal, guys. If he's
a third receiver, he's fantastic. He's got great size, He's
not a speedster. Every time he gets a chance to start,
he does well. But he just wants way more than
(01:07:27):
willing to pay. They feel kind of optimistic that he's
going to be back at some point soon okay, and
gets this thing done. Now, I could tell you from
a team source. They know it's without Deebo Samuel, who
I saw last Thursday. I was with the Washington Commanders
and it was their last camp practice. The Niners without
(01:07:50):
Deebo Samuel, they're real light receiver with Jennings not ready yet.
Ricky Piersaw was really good late last season. He's had
a big injury history, hamsterring notably. That's why they made
the trade for sky Moore, who really needs to play.
He was the second round where the Chiefs didn't work.
He really needs to be a slot receiver. They are
real light guys and wide receiver. That's a problem for me.
That division to me under the Niners a very slight
(01:08:12):
favorite that that division's totally up for grabs.
Speaker 5 (01:08:16):
Wow, I want to ask you some of the Adam.
I know the season is on the on the precipice,
and have you put in all your picks yet? Have
you made all your Yeah?
Speaker 9 (01:08:24):
I actually I have one wife turned in three poles,
so two of them.
Speaker 5 (01:08:28):
Yes. Oh, so you can drop, you can drop who
you picked right now.
Speaker 9 (01:08:31):
I could tell you, yeah, ok, yeah, let me let
me open my floe.
Speaker 5 (01:08:35):
I was like, let me see if I can squeeze
it out of him right now.
Speaker 9 (01:08:38):
So I've got the way that I I have Baltimore
as a number one seed. I have them, I have them.
I have them as the number one seed in the AFC.
Then Buffalo, then Kansas City. It's funny if you look
at last year's playoff teams. I've Denver in I reluctantly,
(01:08:58):
Pittsburgh in oh I missed totally in the Chargers last year.
I just didn't do it. I just cold it, you know.
I underested me. The the they didn't have a great roster.
Coaching is phenomenal. And by the way, they had a
great schedule lat year they won the best schedules in
the National Football League of the playoff teams. Uh and
then Philly. Excuse me. In the NFC, I've got Green
(01:09:19):
Bay's the number one seed, and when the obviously when
the the NFC North, I've got it. After that, I
had it. I had it to well, see again, I
the way I just ranked them, I didn't have to.
I picked the division separately, but I ranked them from
one to seven. Tampa I really did not want to
pick the to make the playoffs, but that Atlanta. To me,
(01:09:43):
they're like the problem had been their past rush was
terrible last season. Now Michael Penix's first year as a starter,
there's a lot to learn there. They have a lot
of upside. It were not surprised if they beat Tampa Bay.
I think it's really tight. Tampa Bay with a Chris
Godwin injury, the worst injury that does concern me. I
think it's really really tight. I am picking Washington to
be Philly for the NCS. Yeah, you know now, part
(01:10:05):
of it, I'm gonna be honest with you, no one's
won that division back to backs until forth fair and
I being with Washington for the day, I'm really I
really like what I'm hearing about. I know it's a
smoking mirrors job with their offensive line. They had a
talent wise bottom three, and they addressed it with Tunsul
and Josh Connelly who should start very soon at right tackle.
And the guys who are starting last year, who started
(01:10:27):
last year gonna be backups now for those guys, so
I think that helps. I'm a little concerned about the
Washington run game. They love this bilk a crosskey Merritt,
the seventh rounder of Arizona. But the one thing that's
gonna hurt Washington once we get to the playoffs is
their lack of a pastors. That's why he's signed von Miller.
They conna have a great secondary, but man, von Miller
a thirty six. You know it's funny walk right by me, Carrie.
(01:10:50):
I didn't even know it was sim he heard he looked.
Speaker 5 (01:10:53):
You heard the knees.
Speaker 9 (01:10:53):
Crat want to say he looked old, but man, he
didn't have his goggles on here. Man, he is thirty six.
Speaker 5 (01:11:01):
Guys, Yeah, he's an older.
Speaker 3 (01:11:03):
Older Yeah you heard the knees cracked. That's so crude.
Speaker 9 (01:11:07):
Twenty eleven by twenty eleven first round pick.
Speaker 2 (01:11:09):
Wow? Wow wows so long ago? Yeah, like so long ago?
Speaker 4 (01:11:13):
Yeah, season, that's.
Speaker 2 (01:11:15):
Crazy, Adam, We're so excited that football season.
Speaker 10 (01:11:18):
Yes year.
Speaker 2 (01:11:19):
We'll be talking with you throughout the week. Dan Byer
will be in next week, so you'll be chatting. I'm
just going to be at the news here. Don't worry.
Speaker 9 (01:11:29):
But are you plenty to do on that?
Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
Oh? I know exactly so. But we're gonna be talking
to you all we all seasons. So thank you. Enjoy
the rest of your Sunday. Let's go football.
Speaker 9 (01:11:38):
Sounds good guy?
Speaker 2 (01:11:38):
Woo man? I mean I have the Packers with the
best record in the NFC.
Speaker 5 (01:11:43):
You do as well?
Speaker 3 (01:11:44):
Yeah, after especially after this move.
Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
I mean they have to be is that even it
doesn't matter what I believe, you just have to be.
Speaker 3 (01:11:50):
You have to be this good now, it doesn't matter
what I think. By logic, you should win this division.
And I do have them with the best record.
Speaker 5 (01:11:57):
Isn't that crazy? I mean I think everybody Super Bowl
picks just right now would be in AFC.
Speaker 7 (01:12:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
Oh, I think yes, unless it's the Eagles, which I think.
Speaker 5 (01:12:07):
That's a but I think a lot of people think
that the Eagles are going to be a little bit
below what they were least, you know, I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
Over arching thing, totally, totally all right, let's check over
at the news desk.
Speaker 3 (01:12:18):
Chris Purfett has officially moved to that side.
Speaker 4 (01:12:21):
That's right, that's right.
Speaker 2 (01:12:22):
What's going on?
Speaker 6 (01:12:23):
Right?
Speaker 5 (01:12:23):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (01:12:24):
I gotta come up with my own phrases or something.
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:12:26):
Did I say Artsing? Now I'm thinking about arts Manning?
Speaker 10 (01:12:29):
Settled down over there, so settled down whatever, whatever you were,
whatever context that is, settled down right now, settling down
and in with South Carolina starting to run away.
Speaker 4 (01:12:39):
Last time we talked about this game, this was like
what ten to eight?
Speaker 11 (01:12:42):
Uh?
Speaker 10 (01:12:42):
That was before a Vic Swain eighty yard punt return
touchdown and then Leonora Sellers finding Nick Harbor for a
sixty four yard receiving touchdown South Carolina. South Carolina went
off in the fourth quarter the game. Cocks end up
icing this one twenty four. To let me just make
sure I have this right, because some of these numbers
(01:13:03):
are very odd. I believe ten is that right, Does
that sound right? Eleven? Excuse me eleven. I just had
to I couldn't count for a second. I remember there
was like an eight in there. I'm like, oh no,
I've got to be careful about this one. So South
Carolina gets that one to start the year. The Dodgers
just walked off the Arizona Diamondbacks. Will Smith, Mary, You're
(01:13:26):
gonna have to get some get jiggy with it. We're
gonna need that up there, because that's exactly Will Smith
pinch hitting walk off home runs single. The Dodgers defeat
the Diamondbacks five to four. Earlier, in baseball, the Tigers
blank the Royals five zero become the first team in
the American League to eighty wins. The Rockies end up
(01:13:48):
pulling it out over the Cubs six to five. Earlier
in the US Open, Carlos Alcoraz defeats the Arthur Riddendeck
in three sets. Novak Djokovic start coming up here in
New York in about twenty minutes or so, and in
about less than an hour, Notre Dame and Miami for
the night cap in the Sunday College Football Showcase. Moncey
(01:14:10):
and carry back.
Speaker 2 (01:14:11):
To you guys, thank you so much. Chris, you are
listening to Fox Football Sunday. Easy as one, two, three four.
Coming up on the other side.
Speaker 3 (01:14:18):
Don't go anywhere.
Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
He's Carrie and a'mancy.
Speaker 5 (01:14:22):
Some summer time Fox.
Speaker 2 (01:14:25):
Football Sunday Football is here and we are excited. I
am Monty Beilanos. He is the All Pro safety Carrie Rhoads.
Summertime football time tis the best time. That's right, yeah,
and I love it. But we don't have time, so
let's go to it.
Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
That's right, easy as one, two three four.
Speaker 2 (01:14:46):
If you've never played this game, it's basically a trivia
game that I have for Carrie. But he's got lifelines, Mary,
Shay and Chris are all here to help him. I
may this may be a little hard, so we're gonna
say it's a possible ten points over under six and
a half.
Speaker 9 (01:15:02):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (01:15:02):
I think I think you guys can get there, but
it might be a little bit difficult. All right, let's
get it going. Let's get it start easy, not really easy.
Name one of two WNBA teams with.
Speaker 3 (01:15:12):
The best record.
Speaker 2 (01:15:13):
Right now, I go the links, the links, Show me
the links, no questions asked.
Speaker 3 (01:15:18):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (01:15:19):
They are thirty one and eight have clinched the best
record officially.
Speaker 3 (01:15:23):
But the Aces have you been playing attention to Las
Vegas Aces?
Speaker 5 (01:15:25):
Have they started to win again?
Speaker 2 (01:15:27):
Twelve in a row?
Speaker 3 (01:15:28):
They're in second place?
Speaker 2 (01:15:29):
There we were eighth not long ago. They're in second place.
If won twelve in a row, Las Vegas Aces not
too shabby.
Speaker 3 (01:15:35):
Okay, moving on here. That was a quick answer. I
like it.
Speaker 5 (01:15:37):
I got you.
Speaker 2 (01:15:38):
Name two of the three players that have hit four
home runs in a game this season. Well, I know
two of the three players.
Speaker 5 (01:15:46):
Two of them Swarber, Kyle Schwarber, and uh, I need
the other one. What do we got, guys?
Speaker 4 (01:15:55):
You had Swans we'll go there.
Speaker 5 (01:15:59):
Wow, Now like he knew what he knew? What are
we talking about?
Speaker 9 (01:16:02):
The name?
Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
Right? Show me Olehamiel swatt Is I got it he came.
Good job he did in April twenty six And show
me Kyle Schwarber. He just did it August twenty eighth.
Good job call Schwarber.
Speaker 3 (01:16:13):
Guys, that's pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:16:14):
Good job Shae for knowing that one. The other guy
he plays for the A's in case Nick Kurtz, he
also did it in July of this year.
Speaker 3 (01:16:21):
Okay, moving on, name three of the.
Speaker 2 (01:16:24):
Four college football teams with the most AP Top twenty
five preseason rankings appearances of all time.
Speaker 3 (01:16:33):
So we just we just started right the rankings.
Speaker 2 (01:16:35):
We were talking about how Texas came out number one whatever.
So over history, the three of the four colleges that
have had the most AP preseason rankings number one, No,
just have been ranked in the top twenty, the top twenty.
Speaker 5 (01:16:50):
That's gonna be hard.
Speaker 4 (01:16:51):
Yeah, it's hard.
Speaker 5 (01:16:52):
One. Yeah, Alabama, Oklahoma old school like Oklahoma, Oklahoma for short,
like Oklahoma.
Speaker 10 (01:17:01):
You gotta think also like the preseason poll, like I
don't it got to go. It's not as old as
the pole itself like it it I forget when they
started it.
Speaker 4 (01:17:12):
I think it was like the nineties or something like.
Speaker 2 (01:17:15):
Huh is it?
Speaker 3 (01:17:16):
It's true? It's not from right like that?
Speaker 1 (01:17:19):
Yes, do you think lic you would be there?
Speaker 10 (01:17:21):
I gotta, I mean they're always right, like Texas or
us c's gotta be got to be there, Texas, us C.
Speaker 3 (01:17:28):
How may we need you need three of the four?
Speaker 5 (01:17:30):
Texas, USC said, Alabama Notre Dame. Notre Dame's up there too, Yeah,
but Alabama, I like Alabam going to say Alabama's street.
I like that.
Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
Alabama, Texas and USC. Is that what we've decided? Or
do you want to switch? No?
Speaker 3 (01:17:43):
I don't do so many.
Speaker 4 (01:17:45):
Ohio State's got to be in there too, Like this is.
Speaker 5 (01:17:47):
Yeah, yeah, you're going to Ohio State. O B Alabama.
Speaker 4 (01:17:52):
I would go Ohio State over maybe like USC.
Speaker 5 (01:17:56):
Let's do that then? All right?
Speaker 2 (01:17:57):
So Texas, Alabama and Ohio State. Yeah, okay, show me
Ohio State the most overall appearances with seventy two.
Speaker 4 (01:18:05):
That love that. Yeah, it's been some dark times.
Speaker 3 (01:18:08):
Is it Alabama? And is it Texas?
Speaker 5 (01:18:12):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (01:18:13):
So Alabama is fifth? But I asked for three of
the You had it Oklahoma, you had Oklahoma, USC.
Speaker 4 (01:18:22):
You had.
Speaker 2 (01:18:24):
Notre Dame.
Speaker 10 (01:18:28):
You mentioned them all. Good job were there basically picking
of which.
Speaker 6 (01:18:37):
It was.
Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
But that was a really good job, guys.
Speaker 3 (01:18:40):
You mentioned them all, and Alabama.
Speaker 5 (01:18:42):
Was just a fifth.
Speaker 2 (01:18:42):
If I would have asked for.
Speaker 4 (01:18:43):
It, you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (01:18:44):
All right, name four of the five.
Speaker 13 (01:18:46):
Top songs oer Usherer when it comes to Billboard. Now,
remember I was up there, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:19:00):

Speaker 1 (01:19:18):
It's like, oh my god, gotta be there, got to

Speaker 5 (01:19:23):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (01:19:24):
Yeah, yeah, okay, so yeah, we want to put Oh my.
Speaker 4 (01:19:27):
God, is that is his name? Oh my god? Or
is it you want?
Speaker 6 (01:19:32):
No?
Speaker 13 (01:19:32):
You make you want to?
Speaker 6 (01:19:33):
Is in there?
Speaker 5 (01:19:33):
You made me wanna for sure like that.
Speaker 13 (01:19:35):
I was gonna say, I was gonna say lovers and friends,
but no, it's not in there.
Speaker 5 (01:19:39):
You made me wanna for sure, you want to?
Speaker 2 (01:19:41):
You made me want to, You made me wanna. Yeah,
you said how many it's four of the five we
got three we.
Speaker 5 (01:19:47):
Got Oh my god, yeah you make Oh my god,

Speaker 3 (01:19:53):

Speaker 2 (01:19:57):
So we have one with him and justin Bieber. Oh
my gosh.
Speaker 13 (01:20:00):
Oh there's a song with him and just some paper
in it, and I forgot.
Speaker 5 (01:20:03):
That's why I say, we've got to go fast.
Speaker 3 (01:20:06):
Yeah, I got you make me wanna?
Speaker 5 (01:20:08):
Oh yeah, you make me?
Speaker 13 (01:20:09):
Right now, I'm trying to think of his like super
top hits right now? What's the one when the first
one that he came out with? I know that one's
up there too.
Speaker 2 (01:20:16):
And wait, are we also gonna do? You don't have
to call?
Speaker 5 (01:20:20):
Are we doing that? You don't have to call? Yes?
Speaker 13 (01:20:23):
Okay, so we have yea. Oh my god, you don't
have to call and make me? What was that first
single that came out? It was so five?
Speaker 5 (01:20:32):
I know that, but I.
Speaker 2 (01:20:33):
Can't think of that. I fin answer, show me. Yeah,
that is correct, that's right, show me you make me wanna?
Speaker 12 (01:20:46):
Is it?
Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
Oh my god, it's not.
Speaker 2 (01:20:48):
It falls out of the top five, and show and
is it? You don't have to you don't have to call. No,

bad by not thinking of you got it bad.
Speaker 5 (01:21:49):
Yeah, you got it bad. Blame I blame. I blame Mary.
I just I do. I put so much stock in
so much you know, I consider every thing Mary says
with the music to be like, right, you know what,
it's gonna be solid.
Speaker 2 (01:22:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:22:04):
And the fact that she didn't know those that's that's
my mind.
Speaker 2 (01:22:07):
Blank, so much pressure on her in that moment. Y'all said, yeah, Mary,
y'all everybody shut up, and me like, why would y'all
do that?
Speaker 3 (01:22:17):

Speaker 3 (01:22:49):
It came in at number seven.
Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
DJ Goddess falling in Love, nine in My Way, ten
My Way. So there's a lot of songs, a lot
of a lot of hits. I mean, like you said
in the break, he was a super performer. Like there's
so many hits that he had, and y'all all of
you went blank, all of you like baby like that one.
Speaker 3 (01:23:13):
So that's that's how that went down.
Speaker 2 (01:23:15):
I still you guys got one, two, three, four, five,
you got six.
Speaker 3 (01:23:21):
I told you it was going to be hard. I
told you it was going to be Who knew it
was going to right?
Speaker 2 (01:23:26):
You could have gotten it with Cher, but again we
all forgot that question.
Speaker 1 (01:23:30):
You did with like where Alabama was wrong? That was
that was a good trick question. I was looking at
Dan Byer for a second. God, you know, it was
a really good, great job.
Speaker 2 (01:23:39):
I thought it would create a conversation because yeah, Albama
was in there, but not in the topic.
Speaker 1 (01:23:44):
At first, I thought you were saying top one.
Speaker 4 (01:23:47):
Yeah, just ranked, but that.
Speaker 2 (01:23:49):
Was that was a good question. Thank you. If you
missed it, you can always go back to the podcast that.
Don't worry, We're going to be posting up after the show.
If you missed any of today's show, just just check
out the pody. It's gonna happen. You can find it
at Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts. But
let's move on here, Carrie. As we're getting ready for
football season, which we're all very excited about, we're also
(01:24:10):
getting ready for the end of baseball season.
Speaker 3 (01:24:12):
I mean September versus tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (01:24:14):
It's gonna be October baseball before you know it, and
I'm here with a month away.
Speaker 3 (01:24:19):
We talked just about Kyle Schwarber. Yeah, we've talked about
cal Rawley.
Speaker 2 (01:24:25):
I think that there's a very real possibility that there
will be new MVPs in both the National League and
in the American League.
Speaker 5 (01:24:36):
Waiting for this one though.
Speaker 2 (01:24:37):
I suppeg American happened about a little bit. Yeah, maybe
how can you deny what kel Rawley has been doing?
You really care, especially because Aaron Judge has been injured.
That is the big reason even though Aaron Judge, Now, no,
of course he is. He's also like one of the
few people batting above five hundred or five hundred, batting
(01:24:59):
above three hundred excuse when it comes to the stars
out in baseball. He is batting that has the highest
batting average and still is delivering for the Yankees. But
I think the story of cal Raleigh on the American
League is one you cannot deny.
Speaker 5 (01:25:14):
Yeah, you can't deny at this point. And also, I
mean the way his team is playing there in thet
they're going to make the playoffs. And yeah, I mean
he's over fifty something home runs. Now, yeah, I mean
I could see that happen.
Speaker 2 (01:25:25):
And you know, like you said, his team is in
the trenches, like trying to get in maybe knocks out
Houston for the division that's still close, the Mariners.
Speaker 3 (01:25:34):
Julia Rodriguez, I'm a big fan. All of the things
I just talk.
Speaker 2 (01:25:39):
You can deny, you can deny what cal Raley is doing,
and right now, he to me, is the MVP. It
would require not that Judge still can't win it. He's
obviously still there. But if they both continue to perform
the way they're performing, right both hitting home runs, you're
still hitting above three hundred. I'm still giving it to
(01:26:01):
cal cal Rawley would have to fall off big time
from this point in this last month for me to
not say he wins the al MVP.
Speaker 5 (01:26:09):
Yeah, it's gonna be tough. I mean, like you just said,
both both teams are competing for the their division as well.
So if whoever whoever can win that one, that would
give them a few more points towards winning that that
that title, that crown. But right now, I mean even
if I'm gonna you know, I'm the biggest Yankee, I
would give it to cal Rally, you would give it
(01:26:29):
to You.
Speaker 2 (01:26:29):
Would have no problems with Uh yeah, you see it,
you see it right? And again not that Judge can't
do it, Like, hey, maybe in two weeks we're talking
about him hitting four runs for home runs in a
one single game.
Speaker 5 (01:26:40):
Yeah, and all of a sudden and Manti who cares?
Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
Who cares?
Speaker 5 (01:26:43):
I do not care. I need the Yankees to get
into the postseason and do some damage and win the
World Series. That's what I'm winning.
Speaker 3 (01:26:49):
I think Aaron Judge would say exact same thing.
Speaker 5 (01:26:53):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:26:53):
Also side note, I found out like two weeks ago
that Aaron Judge was adopted. I did not know that.
I am today years old when I found this out today,
years old, I had no I recently found this out.
Now let's go to the National League. As a Dodger fan, we'
it's kind of the same sentiment as a Dodger fan.
I love show.
Speaker 3 (01:27:12):
He o TONI I think he is great, and yes
he is doing it both on the.
Speaker 5 (01:27:17):
Mound and a little bit on the mouth.
Speaker 2 (01:27:20):
Right. It started off really hot and now it's kind
of dropping off a smidge correct. Still delivers still, but
the Dodgers kind of like the Yankees, have some losses
where you're like, how did you guys do this? But
then you go and sweep the Padres like they Yankees
have also again some bad, bad, tasty losses. Can't beat
(01:27:45):
the Red Sox even though you're back in second place,
and yeah, you take a place in the division. So
it's like even though the record is there, and it's like,
but there's been bad losses with the Dodgers, the same thing,
and he has fallen off a smeth on the mound
compared to how it started. It just started so hot,
and then you have Kyle Schwarber who has never won
(01:28:06):
an MVP, has won an MVP.
Speaker 3 (01:28:08):
In an All Star game.
Speaker 5 (01:28:09):
Oh, he's never won.
Speaker 2 (01:28:10):
He's never won the National League MVP. And so Kyle
Schwarber right now, he's just killing it with RBI one
hundred and nineteen. He's got last I checked his home runs,
he had forty nine, he has forty nine. Still cal
Rawly has fifty, Aaron Judge forty three, show Heyo Tony
forty five, and who Henniel Swatts is coming in right
(01:28:31):
there at forty two.
Speaker 3 (01:28:33):
But I feel that there may be voter fatigue also
involved when it comes to both Aaron Judge and show
Heyo Tani.
Speaker 2 (01:28:43):
The Phillies are playing really.
Speaker 3 (01:28:45):
Well, and Kyle Schwarber is like hitting when it matters.
Speaker 2 (01:28:50):
He's delivering every single time for the Phillies. Granted he's
just DH and so I know Sho Hao Toni is
on the mound, but it seems to have fallen off
a little bit. And I think Kyle Schwarber right now
is in the lead for the National League MVP.
Speaker 5 (01:29:03):
Yeah, O Tani and Judge would be like would be
like a shack in this prime. Yeah, they can win
it every year, right, they are the best player every year, right,
but we talk about MVPs and an individual season, and
right now Schwarber and what he's doing and cal Raley
what he's doing is just you gotta honor these moments
(01:29:23):
because because these even these type of seasons from these
two guys may not happen this way again. And so
when it happens this way and they're winning and their
teams are winning, reward them.
Speaker 2 (01:29:33):
And the Phillies have a much higher lead in their
division over the Mets, where the Dodgers are still like Oh,
Dodgers and Padres back and forth.
Speaker 3 (01:29:40):
It's like a little bit closer than it is.
Speaker 2 (01:29:42):
I feel like all of that is going to go
into consideration, and if things stay the same, Shoe heel
Tani keeps having really good games and is still on
the mound, but Kyle Schwarber keeps hitting the way he's hitting,
even just as a DH yep, I'm giving the MVP
to Kyle Schwarber.
Speaker 5 (01:30:00):
I I'm surprised to hear you say that.
Speaker 3 (01:30:02):
Just keep one hundred. If I'm going to keep it
like this for the American League, I'm gonna I gotta keep.
Speaker 2 (01:30:07):
It the same in the National I appreciate you know
what I'm saying, yes, because.
Speaker 5 (01:30:11):
You know, you know same, We got the same situation here.
I'm just and we're both kind of relinquishing that the
you know, two other guys may win that award. Absolutely,
it's pretty big of both of us.
Speaker 3 (01:30:23):
It is pretty big of both of us.
Speaker 5 (01:30:25):
You on the back from long long distance, thank.
Speaker 2 (01:30:27):
You so much. I mean, watch it doesn't happen, and
all of a sudden we're talking about win again. Because
at the start of the season, I was like, there's
no it's theirs to lose, it's theirs to take away.
And with Judge's injury, like we mentioned him taking a
couple of weeks off wasn't even that long. Went back
into DH all of that, but the Yankees having some
(01:30:47):
bad losses. Then you go to the Dodgers. Everything was
amazing with Otani on the mound. It's exciting to see
him pitch and literally not even go into the dugout
and go straight to bat. But it hasn't been as
a great as it was when it started. And the
Dodgers have also had some gross losses. So all of
that and then the voter fatigue.
Speaker 5 (01:31:07):
Yeah, I think we hit it all there.
Speaker 2 (01:31:08):
I think, yeah, no, yeah, we got new MVPs coming
in both leagues, guys. Clockett Shay is not about that.
Speaker 5 (01:31:16):
So Manzi was.
Speaker 1 (01:31:17):
Bringing this up to me in the beginning of the show, right,
she goes, yeah, like I got this take kinda it's
not that crazy, but I think this is literally what
she says to me.
Speaker 4 (01:31:25):
And she was like, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:31:28):
She wasn't even gonna make it a a segment, like
she was gonna bring it up to you for two
seconds and then we were gonna go past it.
Speaker 4 (01:31:34):
I was not okay with that.
Speaker 1 (01:31:35):
Okay, she goes, yeah, we're gonna have two new m vps,
I think this year. And I look at her and
I go, it's a very hot take, Mazi, because first off,
not only does showh have the skill, he has the
market you know, of course, and I really do think, yes,
Kyle Schwarber definitely does have a chance. I think he's
had the biggest chance ever out of anyone.
Speaker 3 (01:31:57):
One hundred peron in the last.
Speaker 1 (01:31:58):
Five Like what I however many years show he has
been back to back to back to back or whatever.
It's just the fact that he started pitching this year again,
and the fact that everything is kind of just coming
towards him having this on back season.
Speaker 5 (01:32:12):
There's no way they won't give it to ye say,
but I hear you. The pitching hasn't been as dominant though,
and so and he's also not pitching long stretches in games,
so I think that takes a hit. Obviously. Yes, we
know how talented he is.
Speaker 1 (01:32:25):
Yeah, but he won last year without pitching, and now
he's just added the pitching. But and don't get me wrong,
he's not. It's not a fifty fifth year for him,
but he still has a very elite numbers. He really does, so,
and I really do think it's a business. And then
the end, this business is going to go with whatever
brings on the most money. And those m VP Showhy
(01:32:45):
shirts are going to be everywhere in Japan, So I
really they'll they'll still.
Speaker 5 (01:32:54):
They're already made, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (01:32:57):
I'm sure they already have a bunch of stuff set up.
So as much as I'd like to agree with you
and be like, yeah, this is gonna happen, like this
could possibly happen, I really think there's it's not a
big of a chance.
Speaker 3 (01:33:07):
Voter fatigue. You don't think it's a real thing in
this situation.
Speaker 2 (01:33:10):
And also what about if in the American League it
is a new one. Don't you think that inclined inclines
for the National League to also put in a new MVP.
Speaker 3 (01:33:19):
I feel like, let me.
Speaker 1 (01:33:20):
Ask you, is this does show he feel like Yokich
That's what I just said.
Speaker 10 (01:33:24):
Yeah, that's it's like, does he feel like like are
you like, ah, like why is he there again?
Speaker 2 (01:33:30):
Or are really some people?
Speaker 4 (01:33:32):
Genuinely, I'm a Dodger fan, so it's hard for me
to be like I.
Speaker 2 (01:33:36):
Do think some people are over a Tani. I could
see it in other markets.
Speaker 4 (01:33:40):
I'm not the guy to talk to you about.
Speaker 5 (01:33:43):
And the thing about aany obviously is his play is
what it is, but he also has like these little
things on the surface that are happening outside of the game.
Speaker 2 (01:33:51):
Correct, that's still coming up?
Speaker 4 (01:33:52):
Yeah, of course.
Speaker 2 (01:33:53):
Yeah, so I and I think if one league crowns
a new MVP, the other league is more inclined to
do it. Well, like it's just kind of working out
for Kyle Schober because cal Rawley is also doing that's on.
Speaker 1 (01:34:06):
The other side, you know, one of the greatest years
as a hitter, I've I've seen a love definitely, that's
what I think. He's the last catcher I saw. Who's
the guy on the Royals? What was his name? The
catcher on the Royals. I'll figure this's the Mariners one second.
Speaker 5 (01:34:25):
Good about Piazza in the Mets in those years as.
Speaker 2 (01:34:28):
Well, and the lawyers.
Speaker 5 (01:34:30):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (01:34:31):
No, yeah, but I I I really do think we're
going to see a new VPS in both the leagues.
Speaker 4 (01:34:34):
And I think it's just like sal Perez.
Speaker 3 (01:34:37):
Oh yeah, who he broke cal broke broke.
Speaker 4 (01:34:39):
That's what I was trying to.
Speaker 2 (01:34:41):
Trying to get.
Speaker 3 (01:34:41):
I wasn't sure if that's who you were.
Speaker 2 (01:34:42):
Yeah, he broke his record, So I guys new VP's
I think voter fatigue. I think we love Otani here,
but I think others are gonna think different and Lee,
oh Tani, maybe we're dethroning him. Are we dethroning the Chiefs?
We're going to dive into that. On the other side
of this, he has carried the op pro safety. I
am Mansie Bilangos. Don't go anywhere. It's bucked football.
Speaker 6 (01:35:04):
So that.
Speaker 5 (01:35:10):
Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no no no, it.
Speaker 2 (01:35:15):
Is Fox Football Sunday.
Speaker 3 (01:35:23):
You sing it, Carrie, Carrie Rhoades, all pro safety.
Speaker 5 (01:35:28):
That's all I got.
Speaker 2 (01:35:29):
We serenaded this is what we were serenading, Shay, No,
it was the other one. The other one.
Speaker 3 (01:35:34):
We were sharing serenading s like hanging with your crew. Okay,
we can't do this, guys, why did you.
Speaker 2 (01:35:41):
Put this on? Mary?
Speaker 3 (01:35:42):
Now we're gonna be singing this all.
Speaker 1 (01:35:43):
Day about this. So every time you guys have sung,
the music isn't playing in the background. You it's yeah.
So it's just sometimes most of the time it's just
you guys singing. It's the greatest thing in the world
and you guys one hundred So it sounds good majority
of the time.
Speaker 4 (01:36:03):
But sometimes did.
Speaker 6 (01:36:05):
You know that?
Speaker 3 (01:36:05):
I knew that.
Speaker 5 (01:36:06):
I did not know that.
Speaker 4 (01:36:08):
Sometimes it's just a moment.
Speaker 1 (01:36:09):
It's then I hope you guys. I hope you guys
out and take them out. But if you want to
hear it, check out the podcast.
Speaker 5 (01:36:18):
Exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:36:19):
Absolutely, I did know that.
Speaker 3 (01:36:21):
I don't know if Carrie yeah, So it's literally just.
Speaker 2 (01:36:26):
Yeah, he was unaware.
Speaker 4 (01:36:27):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:36:28):
You know.
Speaker 4 (01:36:29):
The more you know, that's funny.
Speaker 3 (01:36:32):
You got it bad, You got it bad.
Speaker 2 (01:36:35):
The Kansas Kansas City Chiefs I don't think I have
it bad.
Speaker 3 (01:36:38):
I think they're fine, Carrie, But.
Speaker 2 (01:36:40):
They're going to start the season without Rashid Rice for
six games. Are you ready to thrown them from their division?
Do you think they're going to take a step back?
Is it over for them? Travis Kelcey is definitely retiring
after the season. I absolutely agree to that, because now
that he's engaged the whole thing, I think he's retiring.
(01:37:02):
But is he, you know, past his prime? All of that?
Speaker 3 (01:37:05):
Like, I feel like a lot of people think the
Chiefs are going to take a step.
Speaker 2 (01:37:07):
Back and this is the time that maybe the Chargers,
maybe the Broncos will dethrone them in their division. I
am not ready to do that. I think Patrick Mahomes
has a chip on his shoulder because of last year.
How we criticize the Chiefs for having a good record
the entire season, right, but how.
Speaker 3 (01:37:28):
Is this team ten and one? How is this team twelve?
Speaker 2 (01:37:31):
I we a lot of us were, A lot of
us were, and Patrick Mahomes did not have a good
year for what he is capable of, but the.
Speaker 3 (01:37:41):
Chiefs were still there. Yeah, the Chiefs went to the
Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (01:37:43):
Yes, they did not have a great performance against the
Philadelphia Eagles, who were the better team. But Andy Reid
is still the coach, Steve Spagnolo is still there. Like,
I am not ready to dethrone them in any way,
shape or form, And I think that they can come back.
And I think Patrick Mahomes is going to shut up
the haters or the critiquers or the you know, the
(01:38:08):
ones who said, like he just he lost the step,
it's over that dynasty, it's gone. I am completely opposite
of that. How are you coming into this season with
the Chiefs obviously missing a big.
Speaker 3 (01:38:17):
Piece for the first six games of the regular season.
Speaker 5 (01:38:20):
Yeah, I'm they're going to be good. They're going to
be right in the thick of it, I think Number
one Travis is washed. Do you think that one is
his prime? Doesn't mean he's not a good player or
a serviceable player. He's not the guy that he used
to be, right, that's a fact, Mahomes. You said it.
(01:38:40):
He's going to be on the revenge tour. But does
he have the weapons to get that done? Now? We
gotta wait and see. I don't like their receiving corps.
Their receiving corp isn't even healthy. Rashi Rice isn't going
to be there. Hollywood Brown is always off injured. So no, seriously,
I just don't. I don't trust their weapons. Right, So
Mahomes can come back with a vengeance all he wants,
but his and has to be there to help him.
(01:39:02):
So with that being said, what I just said, I
think the weapons aren't that's great. I don't trust his
receiving corps. The tight end is over the hill. So
that puts me in a position to say, yes, they
will be dethroned this year.
Speaker 2 (01:39:16):
Wow A right, And.
Speaker 5 (01:39:18):
That doesn't mean they're not going to make it whatever,
But I think the Chargers are going to win that division.
And I know that's your team that is saying I
think the Chargers obviously they I think they overperformed everybody's
expectations last year. I mean, I don't think anybody thought
they would make the playoffs in year one, but it
shows what good coaching and accountability can bring to a team.
(01:39:40):
So I think the Chargers actually can win that division
and will win that division. And I think the Chiefs
will still probably make the playoffs or wild card. And yeah,
so if that's being dethroned, I would say yes, because
they're not going to win the division. I think the
Chargers will.
Speaker 2 (01:39:55):
So I think it could be the beginning of the
dethroning of the Chiefs, right Like, if you think that
the first step is not winning.
Speaker 3 (01:40:02):
The division, when they've won the division how many.
Speaker 2 (01:40:04):
Years in a row, that's the first step. And I
hear what you're saying. But as a Chargers fan, because
I'm a Chargers.
Speaker 5 (01:40:10):
Fan, Yeah, what's going on.
Speaker 2 (01:40:13):
I think that they're gonna be a wild card. I
absolutely think that. But you've got to show me that
you can do it. You can't just keep telling me
that you can do it. I can't just keep hoping
that you're gonna deliver. And I know Harbaugh has been
the change, the game changer that the Chargers needed, but
justin Herbert has to perform better in the games that matter.
(01:40:37):
Everyone still believes that he can do it, and so
can I. But he hasn't. He is not. Patrick Mahomes
has proven time and time again that he can do it.
Even with the bad receiving corps. He didn't look as great,
but the record, the record showed it. And yes, one
score games, unreal great defense that's kept them in the game. Yes,
(01:41:02):
their defense is still as strong.
Speaker 5 (01:41:03):
Yes, I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:41:05):
I cannot imagine the Chiefs coming into this season and
performing offensively worse than they did last year.
Speaker 3 (01:41:13):
I can't see that.
Speaker 5 (01:41:15):
Get ready to see it. You can say that all
you want. They don't this team. Their weapons aren't the same,
and so you don't expect them to because I hear you,
I feel you the same. I mean, I would expect
them to be better, and I'm sure they will be
a little better. But again, when you win the way
they won last year, it's eerily similar to that Minnesota
(01:41:39):
Vikings team that won all those close games with Kirk Cousins.
Think they were like what thirteen and three or whatever,
and they pulled out they want they were like nine
and ten and zero in one one score game, something
like that, and then the next year trying to do
that same follow up that performance of winning those close games.
Sure didn't make the playoffs. Now I don't think the
Chiefs won't make the playoffs, but again, some of those
(01:41:59):
won score those close score games. If it flips with
having a whole different conversation, and so that's what I
kind of sense here.
Speaker 3 (01:42:06):
And I totally logically you make perfect sense.
Speaker 2 (01:42:09):
I just know that the Chiefs have no to me
aside from losing talent. I mean literally, like they lose
Tyreek Hill and it does not matter.
Speaker 3 (01:42:20):
They still go and win.
Speaker 2 (01:42:22):
I don't see them being as bad offensively, but I
don't see them having the same record.
Speaker 3 (01:42:27):
I think they will have a dip in their record
for this year. Yeah, they're not gonna be fifteen in two.
Speaker 2 (01:42:32):
No, No, eleven maybe like yeah, yeah, you know, like
eleven in what would that be? Six eleven and six
or twelve and five? Like, I just that's how I
think they win the division. And I think the Chargers
get in there, maybe off by a game or two.
I just don't think the Chargers dethrone them yet, not
this year.
Speaker 5 (01:42:52):
We'll see.
Speaker 2 (01:42:52):
And if it's not this year, then I don't know
when because if the Chiefs do continue to perform the
way that I think they're gonna, if we don't dethrow
them this year, then I don't think we've just thrown
them for a couple of years.
Speaker 3 (01:43:04):
Right, Yeah, And that's that's what I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:43:06):
If it's I'm being a pessimistic because I am a
Chargers fan, so I'm not looking at this with rose
colored glasses.
Speaker 5 (01:43:11):
You can't.
Speaker 2 (01:43:11):
I can't because I've loved it. I have seen Justin
Herbert look so good and at the same time look
so lost and so bad in the big moments. Obviously
a new coach, I do think we have a better
team this year, but I'm not ready to just throw
in the chief Justin.
Speaker 5 (01:43:31):
Justin Herbert's ready. He's got Madison Beer on his arm.
He's ready to go.
Speaker 3 (01:43:34):
Yeah, hold on a second, what I know.
Speaker 2 (01:43:37):
What about the other side of it, where it's like
he's not gonna play well because he's got a new girlfriend.
Speaker 5 (01:43:42):
He's too focused. He's got that. He's like, are.
Speaker 2 (01:43:45):
You are you? Did you date while you played? Like
that a serious relationship? Because that does take away it's
a distraction. It is one hundred. You get excited with
a new girlfriend, You get excited with the hot girl
like Madison Beer. She is good.
Speaker 3 (01:43:59):
Look, she is big fan.
Speaker 5 (01:44:01):
She is she is, and so he's got big fan.
Speaker 4 (01:44:04):
So yeaheous.
Speaker 5 (01:44:07):
That's what I'm saying. He's winning on the field and
he's going to be ready to go.
Speaker 3 (01:44:11):
So can that be a distraction?
Speaker 5 (01:44:12):
I don't think so. I don't think he'll let it.
It could be, yes, of course, but he's very focused.
You can tell that guy's like he doesn't go out,
he's not in the mix. He doesn't.
Speaker 3 (01:44:20):
I've seen pictures of him. He's been going out with
Madison Beer.
Speaker 5 (01:44:24):
No, we had been going to where he's going to
a house to go play chess, and that's all I've saying.
Speaker 1 (01:44:28):
He's not going out, but he's we don't know what
he's doing.
Speaker 9 (01:44:36):
Beer is the music.
Speaker 13 (01:44:38):
Well, she's probably in the music world, so he's probably
is going to like all the music stuff as well.
Speaker 4 (01:44:42):
Has to be good.
Speaker 2 (01:44:43):
Could go.
Speaker 4 (01:44:45):
And have you seen what she look like? Megan Fox?
Speaker 5 (01:44:47):
No, I know what she is.
Speaker 1 (01:44:51):
Have like started dating like Jennifer like whoever it is,
you know what I mean? And then they're going to
these parties with them and they're like, oh, like I
just met this person the other day and we're talking
about this business opportunity after football. We're in football right now,
We're not talking about after football exactly. So it's like
that's that's where I'm like, I literally my hot We
have this hot take thing at Fox Sports Radio and
(01:45:13):
for the NFL, it's like, what's your hot take for
the year. My hot take is the Chiefs an't gonna
even make the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (01:45:19):
Throned they I think, not even just the division. You
mean no playoffs?
Speaker 1 (01:45:25):
No playoffs again hot take so extremely like very.
Speaker 2 (01:45:29):
Hot, very no.
Speaker 4 (01:45:30):
Yeah, I agree with you, Banci. We'll see what I feel.
Speaker 5 (01:45:33):
The fire over here through the glass.
Speaker 3 (01:45:34):
Yeah, I think that's crazy. That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:45:44):
I hope that it's not a distraction for Justin Herbert
and then he's inspired to perform in the big moments
because she's sitting in a suite, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (01:45:52):
That's That's what I'm hoping for.
Speaker 2 (01:45:54):
But I do know that Taylor Swift's probably gonna be
in a suite and the Chiefs are going to want
to perform too.
Speaker 5 (01:45:59):
They've already done.
Speaker 2 (01:46:00):
Yeah, you want to keep doing it, but you want
to keep doing it, you know what I'm saying. Football
season is here. I'm so excited. Let's check in with
Christopher Fett. We also have a big college football game
that just got going.
Speaker 10 (01:46:12):
Football everything, football, football, football, football, football, football, where the
football monster is here. Yes, Notre Dame and Miami getting
ready to kick off here momentarily.
Speaker 5 (01:46:25):
CJ.
Speaker 10 (01:46:25):
Carr first career start for the Notre Dame quarterback here
as we get to the new chapter in are we
still allowed to call it Catholics versus Convicts? Sure, yeah, no,
that's not I mean that's what it's been late, that's
been that's been the thing of it. This is a
this is a heated rivalry. I don't think I'm Miami still.
(01:46:45):
I do not think we'll travel to South Bend.
Speaker 5 (01:46:48):
They won't.
Speaker 4 (01:46:48):
Yeah, wow, which is or that that's always been kind
of the rumor off. They don't they don't travel there.
Speaker 10 (01:46:54):
Well, I don't think they've really the problem is, I
don't think they've really matched up recently. But I know,
like back when that rival really heated, that was always like, oh,
we don't want to go to South Bend because of
what happened back in the day and the other thing.
Speaker 5 (01:47:07):
And wow.
Speaker 10 (01:47:09):
This is also coming from a Notre Dame family, So
I might have been fed propaganda.
Speaker 4 (01:47:12):
At some point too before I.
Speaker 10 (01:47:14):
Got out of there. Anyway, some NFL news before we
get going on the rest of it. Sources are reporting
that Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie and the Kansas City Chiefs
are not expected to reach a multi year extension before
the season. This coming from sources reporting to ESPN. Earlier
in the day, in college football, South Carolina took down
Virginia Tech twenty four to eleven. This had been a
(01:47:36):
very slow game, I believe ten to eight before we
had a Vicarie Swingen eighty eighty yard punt return touchdown
and a sixty four yard receiving touchdown to Nick Harbor,
and South Carolina takes that one easily. Also going on
right now is the US Open first set for Novak
Djokovic against the German Jan Leonard Struff, and I think
(01:47:58):
I hit that right.
Speaker 4 (01:48:00):
I'm not even going to check. I'm just gonna thank you,
thank you, you know what, thank you, thank.
Speaker 5 (01:48:04):
You so much.
Speaker 10 (01:48:04):
Earlier, Carlos Alcaaz defeated Arthur Ritdenneck in three sets and
the may and on the women's side, American Taylor Townsend
fell in three sets to Barbora Kritchikova. Nice, you gotta
you gotta really start to flex to your you gotta go.
It's confident, that's right, that's right. The only thing we
(01:48:25):
gotta have in this is smooth confidence in baseball. Let's
start off with some news. World Series hero and former
Dodger Walker Buehler is signing a minor league deal with
the Phillies. I know that makes Monsey very happy.
Speaker 2 (01:48:37):
Yeah, I'm a I'm a Walker fan. I thought your
Yankee should have signed.
Speaker 10 (01:48:39):
Him, right, So we'll see him up by the way,
speaking of those Phillies right now, end of the second
inning between the Braves and Phillies, the one baseball game
going on right now. Earlier the Dodgers, Will Smith hit
a walk off home run to help the Boys in
Blue top the Diamondbacks five to four. Apparently people call
the Diamondbacks the Snakes on radio. I've never heard that
(01:49:01):
nickname before in my life.
Speaker 2 (01:49:02):
But I've heard it and I thought it was weird too.
The first time I heard it, I was like, interesting, Yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:49:08):
So the first time I ever heard that team called
the Snakes. Yeah, And I used to have a Diamondbacks
hat when I was in high school. Times have changed,
I yeah, yeah, anyway, the Blue Jays take down the
Brewers eight to four. The Tigers become the first team
in the American League to get to eighty wins thanks
to seven innings pitched with no earned runs and four
strikeouts from Tarik's Scooble and a walk off triple from
(01:49:29):
Mickey Moniac helps power the Rockies past the Cubs six
to five. Carrie and Monsey, this has been fun. I'll
catch you guys around next time.
Speaker 2 (01:49:39):
Has been Thank you Chris for pulling double duty today.
We appreciate it. Have a great rest of your Sunday.

Speaker 3 (01:49:59):
Carrie, What a kind of boring WNBA season? No, you
know what I'm saying. No Kaitlyn Clark, No, Angel Reese.
Speaker 2 (01:50:10):
Yeah, because she was her. I know she's back in action,
but she missed a chunk of it. Pagebecker's plays for
a team that's not good? Like what? Just an underwhelming
WNBA season in comparison to the first one. Right with
the even though there was a lot of controversial takes
and everyone wanted to argue, it was a much more
(01:50:31):
exciting WNBA season right than what we have now. And
today I learned how much the WNBA just really was
not prepared for Kitlyn Clark and Angel reeson this whole
new wave of players. But it came out today that
the Big Three Ice Cubes League came out and said
that they actually offered Kitlin Clark fifteen million dollars.
Speaker 3 (01:50:55):
To participate in the Big Three.
Speaker 2 (01:50:58):
And she obviously did it do it, but the Big
Three saw her value.
Speaker 3 (01:51:05):
Way more than the WNBA did early on. And this
is just another another moment WBA like, how did you
guys not see this?
Speaker 2 (01:51:15):
And like some of the comments that I saw with
this news of the Big Three offered to fifteen million, Oh,
Paige Beckers should be offered that or more. Paige Becker's
this And it's like, you guys, let me tell you,
it's not about being the best. So it's right, you
and I have sat here and said page Beckers is
probably the better player all around, the better player, yes,
(01:51:36):
And at the same time I think I said I
would still take Kitlyn Clark because of her vision and
her passing on the team, but Paige Beckers is the
better player. That that's not the point. The point is
who moves the needle, Who is the person that is
attracting the eyes that you It's not about being the best.
(01:51:58):
Taylor Swift is not the best, right and somehow she
is the most popular, most listened to, most demanding artists
we have right now. But she's not the best.
Speaker 3 (01:52:14):
She's not the best.
Speaker 2 (01:52:15):
Vocals. We could easily.
Speaker 3 (01:52:17):
Name right now at the top of our heads.
Speaker 2 (01:52:19):
Five female artists have better vocals than her. She's a musician,
which Lady Gaga is a great musician too. She's a
great songwriter. That is the one thing I will give
Taylor Swift that she is the best maybe songwriter we
have seen in a really long time.
Speaker 5 (01:52:34):
Just don't call herself the English teacher again. That made
me mad.
Speaker 2 (01:52:41):
Teacher.
Speaker 3 (01:52:41):
Yes, yeah, this and that's what it is. I still
kick it over. It's like you, guys, it's not about
being the best.
Speaker 2 (01:52:46):
It's just about who who draws in the attention and
the eyes.
Speaker 3 (01:52:52):
It's Kaylen Clark.
Speaker 5 (01:52:55):
I mean when you when you brought this topic up
to me, I was like, eh, I got it. Yeah,
but again you're right, like, it's about bringing the eyeballs
to the sport. And Kaitlyn Clark definitely would have done
that if she would have signed this big three league
offer to plan that everybody would have tuned in. And
so you think about it from an entertainment level, from
an entertainment value level, it makes sense, right, Like the attention,
(01:53:17):
the eyeballs, the chatter, the chatter fodder, all that stuff
would have been alive and well and really kicking to
the point of I probably would have tuned into a
Big Three game. I've never watched a Big Three game ever. Ever,
I would have checked that out. So just that knowledge
and that business savvy, that's the one thing.
Speaker 11 (01:53:36):
I mean.
Speaker 5 (01:53:37):
We talked about Kaitlyn Clark, we talked about the Big Three,
but ice Cube, this man corners every market and knows
how to entertain. Now, his movies aren't great, but he
knows how to entertain and he's going to keep your
eyeballs blue to the screen. And this would have made
that It just would have done that again. And so
people always miss.
Speaker 2 (01:53:56):
The mark, miss the mark.
Speaker 5 (01:53:58):
But when it comes to social media and Kaitlyn and
all these things, they really missed the mark.
Speaker 2 (01:54:02):
They really did. And the reports are that he it
was five million, he tripled it like as a desperation,
moved to get her because he knew because he saw it.
Speaker 3 (01:54:12):
He's like, this is this is a difference maker.
Speaker 2 (01:54:14):
Yeah, and the WNBA is still.
Speaker 3 (01:54:17):
Like D three.
Speaker 5 (01:54:18):
Yeah, just sitting on her hands.
Speaker 3 (01:54:21):
I understand, WNBA. Get it together, Get it together. You
can make the product better.
Speaker 2 (01:54:25):
With the stars that you have, but you've got to
invest doing now. The Big three saw it and they
just couldn't get her because Caitlyn Clark cares about.
Speaker 5 (01:54:32):
The game, about the game, about the woman's about the
women's game.
Speaker 2 (01:54:36):
And so I appreciate that. We're gonna wrap this up
on the other side with the little Carrie on or off.
Carrie is September the best month. We'll see if he
agrees or not. Don't go anywhere. He's Carrie Amanci and
this is Fox Football Sunnight.
Speaker 6 (01:54:50):
You guys. We are.
Speaker 2 (01:54:53):
Wrapping up our show here, our crew. We're not going
anyw where. We're just shifting to different.
Speaker 14 (01:55:01):
Spots, and so it's so hard to say goodbye to
Oh Okay, okay, guys, get it together.
Speaker 2 (01:55:12):
We have a show to do. We have a show
to do.
Speaker 3 (01:55:15):
Okay, we have a show to do.
Speaker 2 (01:55:17):
Everyone.
Speaker 3 (01:55:17):
We're lighting up our phones like we're at a concert.
Speaker 2 (01:55:21):
Oh my god, if you joined us for the last
several months on Sundays, we appreciate it. We hope you've
had fun. We've had so much fun, and we're still
gonna have fun. It just shifts into NFL season. Yes,
and we're gonna have what is the name of Sundays Now, Shay.
Speaker 5 (01:55:44):
Radio Zone.
Speaker 2 (01:55:49):
And Carrie will be here with Dan Byer giving you
literal play by play live reactions to to the games
going on. I will still be here at the news desk.
Shay is gonna be here editing, getting.
Speaker 4 (01:56:01):
The highlights, producing for them. Actually, you're gonna I'll still
be over here.
Speaker 5 (01:56:05):
Start.
Speaker 1 (01:56:07):
I think I start as an editor. And then the
minute Dan and carry got on, you still.
Speaker 3 (01:56:14):
I didn't either, And Mary, I think I'm still here.
Speaker 2 (01:56:17):
You're still I think, still here.
Speaker 5 (01:56:21):
So we're all here there, but you know.
Speaker 9 (01:56:26):
So, good guy.
Speaker 1 (01:56:28):
A side piece is just going to join exactly be scenario.
Speaker 2 (01:56:33):
That's what it is. We're gonna have dance dance parties
around Dan while he's like watching, he's not dancing.
Speaker 3 (01:56:42):
We're gonna dance around Dan. That's what we're gonna do.
But let's wrap it up with a little fun here. Yes,
that's right, carry on or off.
Speaker 2 (01:56:56):
We're just gonna give Carrie some scenarios and he's gonna
tell me whether he's.
Speaker 3 (01:57:00):
On board with it or not. Carry on or off, Carrie,
September is the best month of the year.
Speaker 5 (01:57:06):
Yeah, usually yes, because football is about to start. But
it depends on where you are. So I'm just I'm
gonna say, for the sake of this, I'm on it,
on it.
Speaker 2 (01:57:16):
It is the best football season. And then it hits
October and all of a sudden, you got football, you've
got basketball, you've got hockey, you've got the end of baseball.
It September sets you up. And I love September. It's
the beginning of spooky season. I'm all for it, all right,
carry on or off. You can be cocky as long
as you're able to back it up.
Speaker 5 (01:57:36):
I'm off that you're off that. It's just a wording
cocky likes. There's a distinction between cocky and being self assured.
I like self assured people. I love them around me.
I love to see them do their thing. But when
you're cocky, it kind of brupts people the wrong way.
And I think a lot of times cocky means insecure.
Speaker 3 (01:57:57):
So fair, I hear what you're saying.
Speaker 2 (01:57:59):
Did you did you see that the LSU players yesterday
wore shirts that said want to know and they backed
it up.
Speaker 3 (01:58:07):
So that's where that came from for the LSU players. Okay,
carry on her off.
Speaker 2 (01:58:13):
Swifties. Swifties.
Speaker 3 (01:58:15):
Yes, Taylor swift and Swifties mean business.
Speaker 5 (01:58:19):
Oh I'm on that, that's for sure. They don't miss
a thing. And if you say anything bad about Taylor,
if you say anything bad about anybody around Taylor, you
are in trouble.
Speaker 2 (01:58:31):
Did I raise you?
Speaker 5 (01:58:32):
The bars.
Speaker 2 (01:58:36):
Are they?
Speaker 5 (01:58:37):
They're well?
Speaker 2 (01:58:39):
Let me tell you this week, there was that game
at Arrowhead Stadium between it was Nebraska and Cincinnati, right,
and so Cincinnati is where Travis Kelce played. They lose,
Nebraska wins. Nebraska's team on social media put a photoshopped
picture of Nebraska's mascot in position of Travis Kelce in
(01:58:59):
the engagement photo and with the quote change of plans.
Speaker 5 (01:59:04):
Ooh that's pretty dope.
Speaker 3 (01:59:05):
Let me tell you though, they took it.
Speaker 2 (01:59:08):
They took it down. They did because the Swifties came
after it got them. That is how intense the Swifties are.
They took it down and there I get it. Their
argument was like there was literally a shot of Travis
with his head in his head, in his hands at
the end of the game when they I think through
an interception and he like lost it. Yeah, you could
have used that picture. Why did you bring in Taylor Swift? Anyways,
(01:59:29):
that's how that's how powerful they are are. They took
that picture down.
Speaker 3 (01:59:34):
They're mad, They real mad, they real mad. Carry on
or off. The Colts can be a sneaky upset team
this season.
Speaker 5 (01:59:43):
Heck, the Colts are going to be trash, you know.
And you and you did that just because it's the
last So you know how Daniels. You know how I
feel about Daniel Jones. He is terrible, you know, and
he's their quarterback. So that's what I'm saying. Absolutely, you
don't think.
Speaker 2 (01:59:58):
You don't think Jonathan Taylor for the first time is
going to have a quarterback that can open up the
field for him and he's gonna have a great season
and the Colts can sneak in there.
Speaker 6 (02:00:07):
No I do.
Speaker 5 (02:00:11):
I have He is not he is Danny. He is
Danny too, Nichols. He is not Danny too, Danny Dimes.
Speaker 3 (02:00:18):
Kerrie, this is the best. Mary, love you, Shay, love you.
I just appreciate you.
Speaker 2 (02:00:25):
Guys.
Speaker 3 (02:00:26):
Football is here. Let's get it going.
