Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio, living the dream
once again here week another on the National Football lay another.
We're loaded Sunday, and let's get all in. We got
seven games about to kick off for on the NFL.
We got Commanders at the Falcons, Saints at the Bills,
Browns at the Lions, Panthers at the Patriots, Chargers at

(00:23):
the Giants, Eagles at the Bucks, and Titans at the Texans.
And we already have a final today out of Dublin
where the Pittsburgh Steelers held on to beat the Minnesota
Vikings twenty four to twenty one. VJA first two. I
know you're ready. We're all geared up as we are
every single week here on End Zone Radio. But I

(00:45):
want to ask this question right out of the box
before we get these games kicking off right now? Why
did people believe that the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are going
to have a losing season this year when you consider this,
the reason that the Steelers, who are the epitome of
a mediocre franchise and have been for many, many years,

(01:06):
but the reason why they win more games than they
lose is simple turnover margin. And you brought in a
quarterback with the lowest interception rate in the history of
the National Football League. Why are the Steelers three to
one this year. It's not because they're a great team.
It's because they take care of the football. They create turnovers,

(01:27):
they win the turnover battle. And that's why they got
Aaron Rodgers, because he doesn't turn the ball over, he
doesn't throw interceptions. And so I'm always shocked with people, Wow,
they're gonna this is yet. Man, the Steelers are gonna suck.
They share Aaron Rodgers has done. He's done as an
MVP candidate. But he'll take care of the football. And
that is why Mike Tomlin's teams win more games than

(01:50):
they lose. No.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Well, first of all, good morning, Hall of Famer, Thank you,
Good morning Hall of Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
No more breaking in at the beginning of the show
and those unbelievable yeah, oh my goodness. Great. So I'm listen.
I'm waiting for another war to come to.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
I'm waiting to make sure a boat doesn't interrupt us
real quick, and somebody else calls you. It tells you
that you got something else. Man, TV's up next for you.
That was special Now Southern California TV Things that's up
for you next. But listen, man, I disagree. I still
it's even sitting at three and one. Okay, they're playing
the Vikings today. First of all, was Carson was Carson
Wentz throw the ball forty six times to night like

(02:23):
what are you?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
What are we doing? Okay?

Speaker 2 (02:25):
And and this was gonna be the let's see if
JJ McCarthy can do what Sam Darnold did. Okay, Well,
you got Carson Winson here and they're losing still, so
there's some issues there. I know, Jordan Aisen gets back
today and they're still missing some guys there, and that
defense plays well. Listen, the Steelers they had three hundred
and thirteen total. Yes, today they moved the football. Their

(02:49):
schedule is gonna get a little tougher. You get blessed.
Did they win the turnover margin? Yeah, they won the
turnover margin. But but listen, they have beaten they they
have beaten the pay the Jets in now Minnesota with
a backup quarterback. Those are the three teams they have beaten.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
But you have but you just pointed out they win
the games they're supposed to win. Okay, that's fine.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Well I wish we had kept that narrative for everybody,
because that would be that would make sports talk radio
on NFL football really different. But they have some teams
coming up. Now Cincinnati doesn't have Joe Burrow, but they
do have the Packers.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
We don't the Coats. Look what the Coats are right
then they're at the Chargers and if they have they're
at Chicago.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
We don't.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
We'll see what they're about, you know, whether they're legitimate
or as Dallas's defense, just really that bad.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
And Buffalo Baltimore like they could Detroit. They got some games.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
That's gonna even out this three and one. I'm holding
the horn. I predicted they would have an even eight
nines under five hundred.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
This will not be sustainable.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Aaron Rodgers will start to make mistakes, they will start
to turn the ball over. Great win today over in Dublin.
But I'm gonna pump the brakes on. You know this,
This is why I know. It's not the reason why
they got Aaron. They got Aaronrodge could have coudn't get nobody.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Well, they but again he's a guy that has the
lowest interception rate of any quarterback in the history of
the NFL. Marquee matchup this morning is the Battle of
Beans between the Bucks and the Eagles. Eagles unbelievable. Not
only as we were sitting here watching the end of
the game did they win that game, they covered the spread,
which was one of the all time covers. I mean,

(04:22):
this is why, even though you know we talk about
the bracebreads and everything else. I get it, the majority
of you listening are there. But this is why I
personally do not wager because imagine having the Rams in
that game. You're three and a half point underdogs, you're
up by nineteen, so at that point you're up twenty
two and a half points, and even as they're lining

(04:42):
up for that field goal, if you're betting on the Rams, like, well,
even if they miss, if they missed, they can I
still come they got liston.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Well, I see, I'm glad you did that just now
because I didn't want to say that.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
You think I was trolly. But the minute both I
remember both faced last week, I could see through the
glass the minute he he picks up the fumble.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
I looked in the glass and I saw I say,
oh wow, that's three points. You gotta be but it
can't be. You know, the f wor right fix. So
I mean, come on, nobody thinks that's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
By the way, I was apparently Crack was also on
that gate because he talked about it a lot this morning,
how the Rams broke his heart and his mank account.
So it is that was the baddest of bad beats
of bad beats man. By the way, speaking of covers
the wrong way, I don't know if you guys saw

(05:31):
this Indiana at Iowa yesterday. Indiana was a six and
a half point favorite. They're up seven and their quarterback
Mendoza to run out the clock, runs all over the
end zone takes the safety, so instead of winning by
seven and covering, they win by five. He actually apologized

(05:52):
to those that had been on Indiana for that locks
play of the game. So this is the insanity, but
part of the reason why it's so exciting. We have
a block punt and the Eagles are gonna run it
back front touchdown like that. Those Super Bowl champions on
a block hunt have scored a touchdown. Sydney Brown takes

(06:14):
it into the end zone.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
I think we had a block kick in the Dublin
game today too.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
So we what is going on It just was a
clean block and bounce right into his arms and takes
it into the end zone. So the Eagles take the
early six nothing lead. Sidney Brown, how does he get through?
So clone nice? Untouched? Basically right up the middle. Bang.

(06:40):
I mean, that's not even close.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
I have a theory on the special team stuff over
the last two weeks, guys, the NFL is cut down
on practice time, right, And if you have to eliminate
a little more time on something in the NFL, if
you are head coach Moncey Bow, Chris Steve, what would
you probably take a little more time off of preparation.

(07:06):
It's gonna be special teams because you gotta have your
offense correct and you gotta have your defense.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
And we know we gotta have special teams, but you know,
if I gotta take a little time off of something like, well,
we just want that play right there, that's fundamental stack Okay.
But also you're also taking money away from special teams
because you're you got the jacked up salaries for everyone else.
You gotta make the salary cap. So where are you
going to cut salary wise? This is why we do

(07:32):
see a lot of undrafted free agents make NFL rosters
they got, you'll kill them out for special teams. So
seven nothing. Eagles take the early lead on the block kick.
We have a touchdown right now, Josh Allen to Shakure
forty three yard touchdown. How many points are the Bills
gonna roll up on the halfless Saints today at home?

(07:55):
It is already seven to nothing. We're three minutes into
that game. Have our first missed field goal of the
day in this Titans Texans game? Just missed.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Oh my deserve after that flee flicker. They just tried
to run with cam Ward. They deserve to miss that
field goal.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yeah, the speaking of field goals, Atlanta probably looking at
a field goal. Don't the Falcons have a new kicker
this week? I believe they do. I believe they do.
They need one. Yeah, put no points on the board
last week, So the Falcons trying to rebound. You talk
about a must win for the Falcons at home today
against the Commanders. This is the game. Falcons coming at
one and two, the Commanders at two and one. Browns

(08:33):
and Lions. This is going to be a really interesting
matchup because VJ, you and I have been talking about
this Browns defense. They are absolutely top three at the
very least in the NFL right now, going against the
Lions team that after getting shut down by the Packers
in that opening game, it bounced back in a big way.

(08:53):
So we'll see what the Browns can do defensively to
slow down the Lions, because if they can, you know, again,
keep the Lions offense in check, they're gonna hang in
this game, even the game on the road against these
Detroit Lions.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
I and it's funny, I Dan Byron, I talked about this.
I was walking through the break area coming in to
do the show this warning ten points.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Listen, the Browns.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Every year in the NFL there's a top notch defense
with a horrible offense, and at least twice a year that.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Defense gets walked over at least once or twice.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Because they just they're tired or happen to just give
up ten to thirteen point, give it up ten and
thirteen points, sixty point and still losing the game.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
These are still human beings. These are pros right here.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
But I got some numbers on this game for you
because I wanted to lean with the Browns to cover,
but I took the Lions to cover.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
The ten.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
But as far as a favorite goes, the Lions are
twenty and three in their last twenty three games straight
up as a favorite, they're four to one in their
last five against the spread versus the Browns.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
So I'll I'll go with history here. We'll make it
five and one in their last It's usually based, though, VJ,
on the fact that they're so explosive offensively. I mean,
they points. And that's the thing about Dan Campbell, and
I'm all for roll it up. Yeah, he's he's one
of those guys. His attitude is the Lions sucked for
so many years. We got beaten down so many times.

(10:11):
Now that we're in a position to beat people down,
we're gonna beat people down. And that's why they've rolled
it up over the years in games that they already
have well in hand to cover spreads.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
I thought, so stoo their quarterback guys. So let's let's
make sure we remember that.

Speaker 5 (10:24):
I think the Vj's point as well, like we're giving
a lot of props after this past week to the
to the Browns defense, but this is also a Browns
defense that got rolled up for forty points by the
Baltimore Ravens.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
The leak prior to that, right right exactly.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Like that's why I said once or twice a year,
a top notch defense, there's always one in the NFL
with a terrible offense.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
They will hang in about ten to.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Twelve of their games, but there's at least two Sundays
they are going to get rolled because they're tired of
just being able to They're tired of giving up thirteen, sixteen,
nineteen points and losing the game. Like, dude, we gave
up only seventeen points. How'd you I scored thirteen?

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (11:01):
He only one of those points came in the fourth
quarter too, So by that point you're just exhausted. You've
been carrying the team for you're five minutes.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
You're also tackling Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry All damn day,
I'd be tired by.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
A fourth quarter two as we're thinking. By the way,
Joe Flacco has got this Browns defense on a roll
right now. They're in Lions territory after a big penalty,
so Joe Flacco looking to light it up downfield, big
wide open receiver. They're now down to the twelve yard
line against that hapless Detroit Lions defense. All right. This
show is sponsored by Draft Kings sportsbook and official sports

That's the promo code Fox Game. VJ. Do you have
a Draft Kings pick for us?

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Right?

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Absolutely? I do. I'm ain't.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
I'm kind of zeroing in on this Commander's Falcons and
this Eagles Bucks game. With the Eagles and Bucks, I'm
gonna take the Bucks to cover the three and a
half at home. I still think the Eagles win a
close game. Take the over on the forty four and
a half. Listen, the Eagles are nineteen and one guy
straight up in their last twenty games. They're twelve and
four in their last sixteen against the spread, but on

(12:14):
the flip side against Philadelphia in the last seven the
Bucks are five and two against the spread.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Take the Bucks to cover on the plus three and
a half.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
I think the Eagles win a close game, already up
seven to another, but Baker makes late game plays.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
I like the Bucks right here with the three and
a half. All right, were just getting started. For the scores,
the stats, the analysis, everything you need. This is end

(14:49):
to nothing lead over the Commanders. How about the Saints
right after giving up the touchdown of the Bills right
down the field. Hey, I've tie that game up at seven.
These are all mid first quarter scores. Down score first,
seven nothing Browns on the road against the Lions. Panthers
have a six nothing Lee on the Patriots. Is that
a missed extra point? Guys? Is that a missed extra point?

(15:10):
We'll check out out. Yeah, Giants over the Charges. They
mentioned seven nothing and the Eagles with that seven nothing
laid over the Bucks and the battle to winless and
three nothing Texans get the early the there on the Titans.

Speaker 5 (15:26):
It's thirteen nothing. Now the Eagles just in the end
zone for a Dallas Goddard touchdown.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Wow, So the Eagles are all over the Bucks early
in this game after the block punt for a touchdown,
and they're by the way, Yes, going back to that
Panthers game, we did have our missed extra point Ryan
Fitzgerald missed, so six nothing Panthers opening up that game

(15:53):
on the road against New England. All right, so very
busy day around the National Football League. We'll start it.
Start to get a little field now week four. See quick,
I mean I'm the leeball house. Quick. The season goes right,
we're like at like the quarter break already for the
NFL seasons. Who gets started right now? But this Brown's
defense doing a number early on on the Lions, slowing

(16:14):
them down. Jared Goffiic is still a little frustration right now.
They can't get things going. And if the Browns can
get any offensive all and by the way, Flaco five
for five seventy yards to start the game. Doesn't get
much better than that.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Doesn't just start the game, especially on the road when
you're a ten point underdog. And I want to go
back to the words just used. Quarter And I always
tell people I watched the NFL in quarters plus one.
If you notice when we did our preview for every
team I know, I mentioned their first five games, which
is their first four plus coming out of that four
are the three and one four to oh you know,
one in three zero four and then that fifth game

(16:47):
is gonna tell you where they're gonna because if they
think about it, if they're two and two, that fifth
game puts them at three and two. Now you feel
a little different. Three and two fields way different than
two and three in the NFL. So today is to
me a benchmark, and you see a team like Philadelphia
come out, who I believe is the best team in football.
I've picked them to repeat us the Super Bowl champion,
and I just don't think anybody in the NFC can

(17:08):
consistently hang with them. I think they're loaded, and if
they don't have any catastrophic injuries at the major four
or five guys that I could mention for them, they're
going to be just fine. They're front seven and on
the defensive side is great. But but you talk about
the Browns and listen, they have a great defense. Can
Flacco be sustainable against a Lions team? They're gonna have

(17:30):
to score thirty points to win this game. So I'd
say the Browns aren't gonna win this game twenty four
to twenty. They're going to have to score points today
because I do believe this offense does have too many weapons.
Even though the Browns have a great defense, this Detroit
line offense is loaded. They have all pro guys at
the quarterback position, at the running back position, at the
tight end position, at the receiversent like offensive league. They

(17:52):
have all pros like all around. So that's gonna be
hard to stop. But you know, nice start five or
five touchdown drive seven nothing. Look, you know, see what's up.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
We got the Titans, you know, obviously a young team
with a young quarterback, you know, trying to keep their
head above water, going against the Texans team that was
favored to be a three peet as far as division championships.
And when you look at this Texans team right now,
VJ three losses and in those losses they scored nine points,

(18:24):
nineteen points, and ten points. They haven't given up more
than twenty points in the game. So the defense is
getting the job done. Are we at the point now
of pushing the panic button? If you're a CJ. Stroud fan,
it's phenomenal as he was as a rookie, came down
a notch last year, but he is coming down a
huge notch so far this season. Where are we with CJ. Stroud?

Speaker 2 (18:47):
It just depends on what your panic button says, does
your panic button say I'm out on CJ. Stroud career wise,
or does your panic button say I'm out on CJ.
Stroud in this offense until they get tanged, dell back
until they yell a little more. You got a new
fridge and running back that you brought in. Uh, Nico's
the guy. But Nico seems to be like the only

(19:07):
guy right now. So if you're asking like that, then
I would say yes, because I tell you what they
can't do. You can't lose it home to the zero
and three Titans team that was the worst team in
the league last year and have the number one overall
pick a quarterback position Cameward on their team.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
They can't drop this game. This gas, this is the game.
They can't. It's a road game. Yeah, I mean it. Yes,
that's why you can't. That's what you gotta be kidding.
You can't drop lose this game at all. Bet or not?
Did you?

Speaker 4 (19:35):
Did you guys see the I think it's Jeffrey Simmons
for the Titans, number ninety eight. The sack he had
on CJ. Strowd literally in the backfield as the ball
was snapped. I think that's when you reserve judgment for CJ.
Stroud because they have not done any favors building him
an offensive line. They traded their best offensive lineman. I
don't think is even that good in the first place.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
Uh, he's making all pros while he was there, though. Yeah,
I mean, listen, listen, I'm a Dolphin guy. We drive
to them the gas mask and all that stuff. We
traded them away, got the Tyreek stuff. They all came
around the depicts. We ended up with Waddle.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
But when he went there, I watched careful. I say,
you know what, he making all pros. He's still that
dominant left tackle guy. Now little age, getting a little older.
They want to move on from him, but I agree
with you, they haven't done any favorites been off its line.
But watching him so far this year, even when his
back foot hits bow and he sees it and he
should let it go, he does it. Something's going on.

(20:28):
He doesn't trust. And I was telling Steve during the break,
you are on social media. I mean there's a lot
of clips this week of him at press conferences having
to answer and kind of have it like a whatever. Guys,
you know, listen, man, like you got basically y'all aren't here.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
I am.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
We know what's up. You guys are stupid, We're you know.
It's been a lot of that with quarterbacks this week
with the press. But I would say, to answer your question,
Hall of Famer, I would say, reserve right now, guys.
I think I'm with you. I think Bow and our
guy reserve it right now. But the better change it
around fast on.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
All right, no reserve here. This should be an easy
game for the Falcons. Up ten nothing already. Michael Connis
juniors six of eight, seventy eight yards and a touchdown. Remember,
no Jayden Daniels. Marcus Mariota is a quarterback. Total yards
in this game so far, the Falcons have one hundred
and eighteen and the Commanders have negative six No. Terry

(21:20):
McLaurin also all yeah, So the Commanders literally almost throwing
this game away. They have nothing today offensively, so with Mariota, Yeah,
this is going to be a very very long day
for the Commanders. Already down ten to nothing to the Falcons.
All right, the Bills came right back with another touchdown. Again,

(21:41):
how many yards is Josh And he's five for five
for one hundred and three yards and a touchdown. By
the way, that's a perfect passer rating. James Cook already
has forty one yards rushing in this game, so the
Saints are completely defenseless. However, Spencer Ratler did get him
down for a touchdown. Lions have tied this up up
as you predicted their VJ. They just cannot be stopped.

(22:04):
You gotta slow him down, but he can't ge stop
this Lion's offense right now, so the Allians get to
score there. Jamiir Gibbs, who really has not been the
Jamier Gibbs that I expected so far this season. Montgomery
actually outgained him considerably last week. Why is Gibbs struggling

(22:24):
early this year?

Speaker 2 (22:25):
He's not struggling. I'd said this during the preseason. If
he was going to be the number one. I can
see all the love that people were giving him, but
he was still going to split carries with a bona
Phi veteran. Montgomery is a bona Phi yees locker room wise,
traded wise like a spectacular, A lot of tape man.
When coaches get tape on you, coaches get enough tape,

(22:46):
he listen. Gibbs is a huge talent, but he reminds
me almost like a bigger Darren Spros where if he
doesn't have room to operate and to use the jitterbug moves.
As Baker Mayfield throws a pick and the Eagles are
off and.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Right here.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
There's a flat on that playbook. That's just a bad throw.
He throws into three green jerseys.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
I was already panicking here. By the way, Marcus Jones
has just run back upon eighty eight yards for a
touchdown for the New England Patriots. They have tied up
that game against the Panthers.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
I want to say this on Gibbs too, to to
Vj's point, like they're also trying out to base it.
One guy's virtually a rookie, the other guard is a
rookie and a new center with the Lions line like
it's that's that's first off, he was a communication issue
first week for those guys. But that's also communication. Gibbs
has to get with those guys on where his run
lane is too, So it's all gonna be working progress

(23:43):
all right.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
Right now, we have fisticuffs going on on the field
as the Buccaneers frustration spelling over right now sizing up
the Eagles. But it is all Philadelphia got history. Remember
there are some history. They have some history. They have
a lot of history. Speaking of history, we have his
three here. Let's find out what is trending as months were,

(24:05):
welcome are here on this.

Speaker 9 (24:07):
I'm not in the mood. I'm not in the mood.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
Why not?

Speaker 9 (24:10):
Why I'm not in the mood? Joe alt husband carted
to the locker room. I am not in the mood.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
Joel is going to the locker room.

Speaker 9 (24:17):
In the locker room, was parted to the locker room.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 10 (24:21):
Now it was not a you know, he was. It
looked like somebody kind of crashed into his knee.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
I don't know.

Speaker 10 (24:27):
I'm guessing it's a lower leg injury. But it wasn't
the turf I met life. It wasn't not a non
contact injury. There was contact. But the Chargers already lost
Slater exactly exactly.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
So I'm not in the mood.

Speaker 10 (24:42):
I'm not in the mood. You want to know why
else I'm not in the mood because I'm Baker Mayfield.
Not in the mood, not in the mood.

Speaker 9 (24:47):
So Giant's up.

Speaker 10 (24:48):
On the Chargers right now, seven zero late in the
first cour.

Speaker 9 (24:52):
The Star Jackson tar in his first career star with.

Speaker 10 (24:57):
A fifteen yard rushing touchdown to put New York on
the scoreboard first. But yes, Joe All carted to the
locker room for the Chargers. I'll give you guys an
update once I get one. It's been all Egos so
Eagles so far against the Buccaneers.

Speaker 9 (25:09):
They're up fourteen zero right.

Speaker 10 (25:10):
Now with less than five minutes to go in the
first quarter. I will tell you positive news. I just
saw Joe All did walk to the cart that then
drove him away, So there's positive news there, but still
I don't like it. Texans on the Titans three zero
late in the first quarter. Panthers and Patriots are tight
at six apiece. Late in or halfway through the first quarter,
Jimir Gibson the end zone for the Lions, but for

(25:32):
the Browns it was quin Shawn Judkins with the rushing touchdown,
so Brian Browns and Lions are tied at seven. Late
in the first quarter, Bills have taken the lead with
a James Cook rushing touchdown.

Speaker 9 (25:42):
They're on top of the Saints fourteen to seven.

Speaker 10 (25:45):
Also late in the first Falcons over the Commanders ten zero.

Speaker 9 (25:48):
They're about to start the second quarter.

Speaker 10 (25:51):
Football started in a doublin this morning, as the Steelers
pulled off the upset, defeating the Vikings twenty four to
twenty one.

Speaker 9 (25:57):
Pittsburgh off to a three and.

Speaker 10 (25:58):
One stark Aaron Rodgers eighteen of twenty two two hundred
yards and a touchdown. Kenneth Gainwell nineteen carries ninety nine
yards and two touchdowns in the win. In case you
missed this story, Steelers backup quarterback Skyler Thompson suffered minor
injuries after getting jumped and robbed. Did you guys hear
that a Dublin on Friday night?

Speaker 6 (26:16):
Right?

Speaker 1 (26:16):
He's a good thing in Dublin.

Speaker 9 (26:18):
Yes, exactly, So that went down.

Speaker 10 (26:21):
He is with the team, He seems like he's okay,
but he was apparently jumped and robbed in Dublin. Poor
Skyler Thompson, Steelers backup quarterback. In college football, guys, Arkansas
has fired coach coach Sam Pittman. They were off to
a two and three start, just got blown out.

Speaker 9 (26:37):
By Notre Dame.

Speaker 10 (26:38):
Also last day for regular season of baseball, Reds and
Mets are fighting for the final wallcard spot in the
National League. Reds have the tiebreaker, they win their in
Yankees and Blue Jays are fighting for the division. Also,
winning the division gives them a wildcard series by Toronto
owns that tiebreaker. Guardians and Tigers are fighting for the division,

(26:59):
but they're both playing in the wild.

Speaker 9 (27:00):
Cards, so it's just for maybe home field advantage.

Speaker 10 (27:02):
At this point, all games in baseball start around three eastern. Finally, guys, sorry,
two w NBA semifinal games Game fours, Aces and fever
Las Vegaeles seeds the series two to one that tips
off at three. Then Links and Mercury Phoenix leads the
series two to one that tips off at eight eastern. Okay,
back to the thing about it.

Speaker 11 (27:21):
The thing about it is, Monzi, don't even talk about
that old field matters in the playoffs in the wildcard
in baseball because you get all the games, right, yes, yeah,
there's no back and forth.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
You get all of all all the games at home.
So that sort of mat I.

Speaker 12 (27:35):
Help you ride a cup USA getting it handed to
us twelve to five against here by the way, by
the way, by the way, the biggest deficit for either
side going into the singles Sunday since nineteen seventy five.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
That was the pre Europe days when it was just
the United States versus great bear from Britain. This is
just the embarrassment of all time embarrassment. Scottie Sheffler. Oh
and four, first date your guy. You know why, here's
the thing, because guy, for him, golfs an individual sport.
I'm not worried about best ball or you know, yes,
what kind of you know, he is totally discombobulated in I.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
Want to hear that when you went basketball at your rebounder,
you want the three points not to go on, right,
So I don't want to hear nothing of that.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Well anyway, very embarrassing. All right, thank you very much
us he We'll check in with you a little bit
later on Once Again and Zone Radio Hero on the
Fox Sports Radio Studios. Uh. By the way, this show
is sponsored by DraftKings Sports booking, official sports betting partner
of the NFL. Right now, use the promo code Fox Game,
that's Fox Game to claim your special offer at DraftKings. DraftKings,

(28:44):
the crown is yours. Don't forget that promo code Fox Game.
Once again, VJ give us a Draft Kings pick. Oh man,
right here, I had the Panthers Okay, I love the
Panthers here in this game there plus five and a half.
The Patriots a favorite.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
But one thing I wanted to bring up Bryce Young
or Drake May who would have more passing yards they have?
Bryce Young said at two ten Drake May was two twenty.
But here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
Drake May's two twenty was a plus one oh six,
which means Vegas doesn't think it was gonna happen. Bryce
Young two ten was said that a minus one o three.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
I'll go with my man b Y from the Fighting
Modern Day Football program out here, Bell Fire out of
pleasure of calling those games when he was there.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
So give me Bryce Young.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
The over two hundred and ten passing absolutely today and
also in this game.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
Did the Patriots miss there? Did they miss their extra points?

Speaker 6 (29:37):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (29:37):
They got it?

Speaker 2 (29:38):
Okay, I thought, I thought, I kept saying I was
gonna say, didn't Its gracious man. Get back to coaching
corners and get back to coaching special teams.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
Those two things are lacking in the NFL game today.
I'll tell you who's struggling right now. Out of the
gate is Justin Herbert for a nine for twenty three
yards of fifty one passer rating. The rookie Jackson Dard
four of five thirty eight yards with a ninety eight
passer ratings. So not only are the Giants are leading
in this game by the way dark twenty eight yards
on the ground and the scoring touchdown. Herbert had one

(30:09):
run for twenty four yards. But right now the Chargers
are a little thin at running back and Amarion Hampton,
the rookie two carries three yards, so not much offense
early on for the Chargers. Here favorite big favorites against
the winless Giants today, trying to get things back on track.
And again we'll continue to monitor the situation with Joe

(30:31):
Alt who went off the field and that would be
a critical loss for the Chargers. But right now the
Giants are playing some spirited football, maybe getting rid of
Russell Wilson Brian Dable. Obviously it looks like dead man
Walking is the coach of the Giants. But at least
today the Giants so far looked like a team that
actually showed up to play.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
I'll give the I picked the Chargers in this game.
I have the Giants that cover the plus five points
because they have a defense. If you paid any attention
to the Giants. The Giants have a defense. Just ask
the Chiefs. The Chiefs put that thing away late, and
Russell Wilson threw the game away. And I'm glad that
the experiment is over. Don't put the camera on him,
don't put the don't show him. You're done. I said
it three years ago, his last year in Seattle, that
he was done as a bona fide starting quarterback.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Yeah, he'll get his starting job that Jacoby Press. Oh,
we have a turnover and a near touchdown for the Giants.
He happened here. I'm looking out, but I'm seeing giants
running the other way. Big boy, too big way down
to the one or two yard line. So let's watch
though of that. He almost had daylight he wanted, so

(31:36):
he he ran out of gas a little bit at
the end there, but the Giants already leading seven to nothing.
Us watch a replay here, justin Herbert taking the sable
and that is a tip athletic. The big man was
able to knock the ball up, grab it.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
That's athletic. That's a big man right there. Look at
him hawking.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
He he's get to the ends of tying to score
so bad. Herbert was the one that finally took him out.
But just like that, the Giants are knocking on the
door to take a shocking two touchdown lead against the Chargers.
Dexter Lawrence too.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Man, there's a guy that's been a lot of questions
about him, some injuries, but when he is right, he
is right. He is one of the better interior defensive
tackles in all of football. As we see Jackson dar here,
line them up at the four yard line, see if
they could go up two touchdowns here, I'm still I'm
still with you Monts and in them charges.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
As we get it flagged, well, this is a typical
Giants as we get an illegal procedure to start that
drive at the four yard line, so move him back.
Yeah again. Giants are one of those organizations that tend
to really work against themselves half the time. But still
very impressive first quarter both offensively and defensively for the Giants.

(32:54):
It just seemed like the infusion of Jackson Dart has
done at least some positive things early for the Giants
in this game. Now you and have gone back and
forth about rookies and starting, now, will you guys at
at least agree I was right about this with Jackson Dart,
they should have started him in week one because you
put yourself in an oh and three hole because you

(33:14):
went with Russell Wilson. Now you're gonna ask this kid
to try to drag you out of an oh and
three hole in the NFC.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
That's unfair to him when you could have just put
him in and he might have stole that Dallas game.
He might have stole that game. Jackson Dart being able
to move around might have got you one of these
one into us different than oh and three going into before.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
But you understand this now, there are exceptions. We've seen
rookies like c. J. Stroud, like a Dak Prescott, like
a Jayden Danos a year ago, be able to sustain
and even build on their success as the season goes on. Right,
But a lot of times early on for Jackson Darts,
first start chargers don't have a lot to go with
on Dart. They're not exactly sure exactly how the Giants

(33:56):
are going to run their offense with Jackson Dart. What
we have seen early first courter it now over uh
is they're running the ball. I mean Jackson Darry is
actually almost effective as many yards on the ground as
he is through the air, so teams adjust.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
Harmad know Steve Harball seeing this kid, and he probably
try to recruit him.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
Harbaugh knows exactly what Jackson Darry remember. Jackson Darty, USC
is where he began his career. He ended up with
Lank Kiffin down there at Ole Miss exactly. We got
seven games going on around the NFL. We've already had
the Pittsburgh Steelers get to three and one with a
twenty four to twenty one. Then in Dublin today against
the Vikings. NFL never play another game in Dublin. If

(34:36):
you have an NFL player accosted, that's it. That's it,
that's it. Take the product away, good bye.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
But I also want to know too, what the hell
are you doing out on Friday night that late to
get jumped? Where you're like you went by yourself? Where
are your teammates? Where's the somebody had to.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
Be with him? Y? You know, I'll wait to hear more, probably, yeah,
I'll wait to hear more. All right, keep it right here, scores,
the stats, the analysis, we break it down. This is
end zone radio. If he's put a.

Speaker 13 (35:04):
Punted away to Marcus Jones, who stands inside the ten
to our right. In the six to nothing Panther League.
The Patriots come up with the stop in their territory.
Waistaeta goes to the football down life, what it.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
Chick sky high of an airside?

Speaker 13 (35:17):
Jones samples over under and after thirteen starts back to.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
His right of stage. I mean it turns back. There's
twenty piching.

Speaker 13 (35:23):
Lane to the thirty along the sideline forty two midfield.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Marcus shows to the convoys twins. It went to the
forty to the thirty, to.

Speaker 13 (35:29):
The twenty to the ten to the end zone.

Speaker 6 (35:32):
Touchdown, Patriots teach Doctrick.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
That's ninety eight five the Sports Hub and the Patriots
Radio network, and the Patriots aren't done yet, up seven
to six against the Panthers. Tart of the second quarter,
and the Patriots have a second and goal at the
Carolina five yard line, once again, end zone. Radio here
in the Fox Sports Radio studios. The show is sponsored
by DraftKings sportsbook and official sports betting part of the NFL.

(36:00):
Right now, use the promo code Fox Game that's Fox
Game to claim your special offer at DraftKings. DraftKings, the
crown is yours. Don't forget that promo code Fox game
all right VJ. The Buccaneers are trying to get back
in this game after sport spotting the Eagles in early fourteen.
At the lead, it's fourteen to three right now. And

(36:24):
this has been sort of the magic of Baker Mayfield
why he's on the short list early on this season
as an MVP candidate. He's got the Bucks off to
a three and zero start right now. But what's been
more important than the numbers is when he's doing the numbers,
like when these games have been on the line. Baker
Mayfield has stepped up in a huge way. But he's
been that his whole life.

Speaker 11 (36:45):
Man.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
He was that in high school, he was that in college.
He was that at his early starts at Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
People remember the last time other than the year that
Uncle Flex came off the bench, it took it to
a playoffs and they lost at the Houston Texans in
the AFC Wildcard round, Baker Mayfield had on the two
six football team. Man like they were winning games, they
were competing. He's just a gamer. I've always been a
Baker fan. I always go back to the game against
Kansas where they didn't shake his hand and he then

(37:09):
goes off and it's a nine am kickoff game out here,
so there's nothing else going on. And there, you know,
there was the whole gestures he was doing and stuff.
I've always been a Baker fan. I love the way
he plays, love his heart, love his mox, he love
his passion. But right now, they got to turn this
around as fast as they came. But we saw the
Eagles down huge last week.

Speaker 1 (37:28):
Yeah, he did. The one thing I will not do
is act like these games are over. They're never all
in the second quarter when we sit here doing end
zone radio, and they've been doing it for a number
of years. VJA first season here, we've already found out
the first three weeks there are games that we just
put aside. The Rams. That was last week. The Rams
scored down the second was twenty six to seven. I

(37:50):
mean at that point the Eagles had what thirty yards
of offense, had zero, They had done nothing, and they
come back to win that game. All right, quick run
down of the scoreboard. Right now, Falcons lead the Commanders
ten to seven. Member of the Commanders without Jade and
Daniels Parkos Sociota at quarterback. Nine minutes to go in
the half there, I'll tell you what. Here's a surprise.

(38:11):
Saints are hanging in there. It is fourteen to seven
Bills over the Saints. Saints had to punt the ball,
but the Bills are backed up on their own three
yard line. Eleven minutes to go in the half. Lions
lead the Browns. Again, We're not surprised early on this
closed game. Ten to seven. Lions lead that game. Patriots
did get a touchdown Drake May got in the end zone,

(38:33):
so they have taken a fourteen to six lead over
the Panthers. It is ten nothing Giants over the Chargers.
Chargers can't get their offense going against this Giants defense.
He goes lead the Buccaneers fourteen to three, and in
the game that figures to be a snoozer so far.
It is Texans. A couple of field goals lead the

(38:53):
Titans six to nothing.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
We'll go back to that Bull Bills in Saints game.
The Bills are eighteen though. That will laid down a
little bit for lesser opponents.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
They get up to play all the big guys. They
come back and beat the Ravens, They could beat the
they could beat Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid and Big
Red and the Chiefs in the regular season, and then,
like you said, the Saints, who are I think are
going oh to seventeen? I need them to go on
the same team for my bet the cash here at
the end of the year. But for them to come
in there and even be hanging in this game, I mean, hell,
even my my bad Dolphins going there. And at one

(39:25):
point that game's twenty one to twenty one, Zach Ziegler
has the you know, the rough and the passer, a
rough end the punter which puts the ball back into
Josh Allen's hand. Then they go down to score to
twenty eight twenty one, and that's the game. So they've
had lesser teams come in here and and compete with them.
They're fourteen and a half point favorite going into today,
so they should win this game by two plus touchdowns,

(39:47):
which Vegas things, and they have the talent to do
so are they now kind of like, Okay, here's the Saints.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
The Saint show up. But the Saints show up and say, hey,
guess what, we still get a paycheck too. We're not
a college team, we're not a high school team. Then
we're not the Namerols. This isn't the UFL they came
up in. Here are the XFL. They came up here.
We're a legit NFL team just like you, and we
know a bunch of you guys, So we're gonna show
up and playing. That's that what was lovely about the NFL.
Right any given Sunday, it doesn't any of.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
These are pros. They're fighting for their professional lives. Understand this.
I mean when I when I talked at players over
these many years, and I always talk about the fact
they seem to have total recall of their collegiate days everything.
They can remember everything, everything. But when they get to
the NFL, outside of a Super Bowl or some you
know game, most of the games just blend together because

(40:34):
you have to. You're checking in, You're doing a job
next week, get ready for another game. By the way,
Falcons at home against the Commander's team without Jayden Daniels
now leading seventeen to seven. Michael Pennix Junior off to
hot start nine of eleven hundred and twenty six yards
in the score. Bejhon Robinson has fifty five yards on
the ground in a score. So again a game the

(40:56):
Falcons need to keep the Buccaneers in site in that
NFC South off to a seventeen to seven lead the
Giants and the Chargers's going to be interesting. If the
Chargers can get in the end zone. They're moving the
ball right now into Giants' territory. We got a whole
lot more coming up seven games around the NFL. This

(41:17):
is end Zone Radio rolling along here on Week four,
Big Sunday around the NFL. This is end Zone Radio.
Where in the Fox Sports Radio studios. The Philadelphia Eagles
came to play today, folks, and Jalen Hurts is all that?
By the way, Jalen Hurts tough off is in conversation

(41:42):
early on this season, first team All Pro. I know
Lamar Jackson's putting up his usual gaudy numbers, but how
about these numbers? Are Hurts on the road against an
undefeated Buccaneers team. Ten of eleven, ninety eight yards, two touchdowns,
no picks, two carries thirty one yards. Okay, By the way,
Saquon Barklay in this game three carries seven yards. Jalen

(42:04):
Hurts thirty one yards on the ground, ninety eight through
the air, two touchdown passes. He's only had one incomplete pass.
At some point here, Jalen Hurts is going to finally
get the recognition that he has earned as a Super
Bowl champion, super Bowl MVP, could have been a two
time super Bowl champion, two time Super Bowl MVP except

(42:26):
for one unfortunate drop of the football. He owns it
and and he owns it and he owns it. But
this is interesting because I looked at this game, like,
all right, the Eagles had a miraculous comeback at home
to beat the Rams a week ago, and then you're
on the road against an undefeated Buccaneers team, maybe a
little bit of a letdown, anything bought. It started off

(42:49):
with an Eagles block punt return for a touchdown and
Baker Manfield just cannot get this Buccaneers offense rolling. And
Jalen Hurts is all that. So he continue used to
build that confidence, momentum and everything else, and at some
point he's gonna finally get the recognition he deserves. What
everybody waiting on. I've been on the Jalen Hurts train.

Speaker 2 (43:11):
I remember vividly sitting in this studio years ago telling
people that he would have and I know toos with
my dolphins, but coming out of college. I told everybody
Jalen Hurts will have a better pro career than Tua
Tacabaya La will have because I thought it was better
than him at Bama.

Speaker 1 (43:28):
I hated the fact that he lost his job there.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
Then goes to Oklahoma, finishes as a Heisman finalist and
does this thing there, then gets drafted to the Eagles
and people are like, what are you doing?

Speaker 1 (43:37):
Like, what do you mean? What are you doing?

Speaker 2 (43:39):
He's a leader, he's a gamer, He's what you call
the adult in the room. He's never You've never heard
nothing negative outside of football about this man. The way
he handles this business, the way he carries himself. You
can't get a SoundBite out of him to try to
get him to try.

Speaker 1 (43:57):
To go viral. You are even going back to his
college to stay's I'm with you. He was mature beyond
his years. You could just have how he handled that
benching right for a full season at Alabama watching too
a tongue of I low a takeover at quarterback, not
one negative thing out of his mouth the entire year.
He then transfers to Oklahoma, runner up for the Heisman Trophy.

(44:19):
But it was that year at Alabama where he didn't
utter a word after being a two year starter. Right,
that showed me a maturity level for a collegiate kid
and in time and age, because you know, the media
is all over him. Hey, what do you think you
got bent for this guy? You know you you were
the freshman of the year, you win all these games,

(44:39):
and now you're sitting on the bench for an entire year,
didn't utter a ward.

Speaker 2 (44:43):
Then it comes into the SEC championship game and wins
the game for him. I mean, I'm and you and
I we talked about this back in July and August.
His football seasons was getting repped up, and I threw
his name in top five and I'm gonna leave it there.

Speaker 1 (44:56):
I'm riding that all your low.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
He's a top five back in this league because all
he does is what we as radio, TV fans, fantasy gruels,
whatever whatever title you carry with yourself in this game
of football, we ask quarterbacks to do a certain thing,
which are win the big games, win a division, win
playoff games, eventually take your team to a super Bowl,

(45:20):
and then eventually win one or more. He's done all
of that, and we keep putting two guys that haven't
done that ahead of him. I'm pumping the brakes on that,
and I'm waving the jalen Hurst flag.

Speaker 1 (45:34):
But this is nothing new to me.

Speaker 2 (45:35):
I've been waving the Jalen Hurst flag for five or
six years, and I'm gonna keep waving it, and he
just keeps showing it.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
All right, five minutes to go on the half there again,
the Eagles leading the Buccaneers twenty one to three. Meanwhile,
we got this Lions Browns game that is not figured
to be an interesting game today. Lion's obviously a big
favorite home against the Browns butt defensive. It is ten
to seven, and right now, the Browns just fumbled a

(46:01):
punt they got They're keeping it, but the Browns did recover.
So a misplay on the punt by the Browns, but
they were able to cover their own fumbl So the
Browns will take over with about six minutes to go
here in the first half, trailing the Lions ten to seven,
and that last series for the Lions, you could see

(46:22):
a little bit of I don't know, impatience. The Lions
on third down decided to go for a bomb. There
was a chance for a cat he was that was
dropped by Jamison Williams. It was no, it was to
turn around. He did have to turn around. He turned
around and it went straight through his hands. Well he
mossed the lost side of the ball. I saw there.
But anyway, golf right now eight or twelve seventy seven

(46:43):
yards flaccos eight or twelve ninety nine yards. He did
throw an interception though. In this game. Jamir Gibbs off
to a good start. Five carries for forty one yards.
Montgomery not so much. Three carries two yards and also
two in this game. When you look at I always
pull up team stats.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
I just want to see how the yards are being
distributed because we can rell off stats and look at
people's stats to go he's doing this, and he's doing that.
He's doing If you look at Cleveland, they like neither
one of these teams are able to really run the
ball right now. They both each have two first downs rushing,
so they're not moving a chains on the ground. What
is gonna come down to, in my opinion, what defense
is gonna cause the big time turnover on and flip

(47:22):
the field. Now get a turnover, you know, like on
your own thirty you still got seventy yars ago. I'm
talking about the team that turns the ball over on
their own end and gives the ball to the opposing
team and plus territory. I believe it's feeling like how
this game is setting up twenty five plays to twenty plays.
They both have one hundred and twenty yards a piece,

(47:42):
so neither team is moving the ball. But we knew
Cleveland's defense would show up. I still think right now,
if you look at the scores at three point eight,
I still think the Lions have enough to cover it's
ten point. Like if they were to score right now
to be seventeen the seventeen seven, they'd have to score
again for it to go over ten. But you know,
like we always say, Steve, they're all professionals. Flacco is
seventy five years old, but he's still a professional quarterback, right.

Speaker 1 (48:04):
All right, Jackson Dart Right now ten to three, Flacco
just got picked off again. Oh there we go. All right,
so Flaka.

Speaker 2 (48:10):
Turnover, there's a turnover. I just said, your own end,
there's a turnover.

Speaker 1 (48:15):
Yeah, that was ill time with four and a half
minutes ago going into the half, and right now at
ten to seven, Lions lead. I'm watching Jackson dart right now.
The numbers say five and seven fifty one yards now
five of eight. But he's had a couple of passes
here that he has not thrown accurately. He's taken a
couple of sacks in this game. And I just got

(48:35):
to laugh because I watched him. He got knocked down.
It wasn't a headshot or anything else, and he looked
at the official like, so is that roughing? And the
officials like, get up, rookie. Yeah, I'm with that. You know.

Speaker 2 (48:49):
It's like, no, if it's egregious, Steve, go to flag.
But look, man, you gotta take it because you're not
you know, And I'm not saying that Hazen is good,
but you know what I mean, Hey, you know.

Speaker 1 (48:59):
Care air shot. It wasn't a head shot. It was
a big head after he got rid of, but it
was in the chest and he went. But he looked
at the official like is there a flag? Of the
officials like get him. There's too much softness. Man.

Speaker 2 (49:13):
We saw we saw one of those crazy We saw
call crazy like that and.

Speaker 1 (49:16):
That and that and that and that.

Speaker 2 (49:17):
Stay game last night. As far as roughing to pass,
this concern, But no, rook take your lumps. You're in
there right now, You're up.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
You You were fine when you were running the scrambling
for touchdowns and flexing and dancing. So don't don't be
looking for the ref. Don't be looking for the ref.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
Wheen you take a head from a pro and listen,
if you play defense in this league, you work for
the then you work.

Speaker 1 (49:35):
For the Raiders Tam before before he became a Hall
of Famer.

Speaker 2 (49:40):
Yeah, but rookie, the NFL players that tell you, man,
defensive players that tell I've asked Derwin James this. When
a rookie quarterback or like a rookie running back or
rookie receivers out.

Speaker 1 (49:48):
There, his eyes lit up.

Speaker 2 (49:50):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, I want I want
to christen him to the league like they want to
christen you to the league. So you're gonna get your shots,
Jackson dart from this Jim Harball style.

Speaker 1 (50:01):
That's one thing I always appreciated about Bill Belichick. He
tortured rookie quarterbacks. Should torture should then why not? Why
would you go easy? Would you go the other thing?
You know? I mean? But he didn't just beat rookie quarterbacks.
He tortured rookie quarterbacks. It was insane rookies freshman quarterbacks.
Saman crushes. Saban crushed freshman quarterbacks except for one man

(50:27):
for two years against Alabama, Saban said, get rid of
this guy. I have zero answers for Johnny football. I
have nothing for this guy Johnny Man's I still maintain
he was one of the five most exciting players I've
ever seen play college football, regardless of what happened after that.

(50:48):
His two years at A and it was far as like, okay,
I'm talking about must watch, like I'm hanging on every
play that the guy was running. Put my vic up
there also to oh yeah, okay, I'm just asking yes.
But I mean, Manzell was he was an escape artist.
I mean he just he was absolutely.

Speaker 2 (51:06):
Knowing the damn thing he was doing out there the
whole time, which we found, well, he.

Speaker 1 (51:10):
Just had lived everything. It worked in college, doesn't work
that way in the NFL. All right, The Lions now
first and goal at the Cleveland five yard line after
the interception that was a big pick there, and the
Patriots are pouring it on as they have just scored again.
They have extended their lead. Over the Panthers to twenty
to six. So, right now, the Panthers coming in at

(51:34):
one and two against the one and two Patriots. But
the Patriots are looking real good, waiting on the extra point,
but already to lead the Panthers twenty to six. Six
minutes to go in the.

Speaker 2 (51:44):
First half, Steve Maleak Neighbors just went down and excruciating pain,
grabbing his right knee and you could see him like
literally screaming. The medical staff at the Giants rushed out
their teammates waving in the sideline. Yeah, as it was,
it was a it was an accroachment on the defense.
It was a free play. So Jackson Dark took a

(52:06):
shot and his number one weapon for the Giants right
now is down holding his right.

Speaker 1 (52:11):
You could see when he went up in the air
the knee was already wobbly, and then as he came
down he grabbed that. Did Monty did mention the MetLife turf? Yeah,
so we'll keep our eye on myleak Neighbors. What is
next happening with that injury? All right, again, we're rolling
along here. We're actually heading toward halftimes around the National
Football League. Seven games in action for all the info

(52:34):
you need, keep it here. This is en Zone Radio.
Golf up under center. Jared takes the snap, fakes the
gift looks right, grows out there.

Speaker 14 (52:42):
Wo open, I'm in Ross Saint Brown touchdown Detroit Lions.
Hard don fake fourteen snuck out the right sides Golf
found him. Put another six on the board for Detroit.
That ninety seven won the ticket. Lions Radio Network. Lions
extend their leads seven seven of the Browns. Two minute warning.
Browns takeover at their own twenty five yard line.

Speaker 1 (53:06):
Once again. This is end Zone Radio. We're in the
Fox Sports Radio studios. The show is sponsored by DraftKings Sportsbook,
an official sports betting partner of the NFL. Right now,
use the promo code Fox Game. That's Fox Game to
claim your special offer at Draft Kings. DraftKings, the crown
is yours. Don't forget. That's the promo code Fox Game. VJ.
What he got for a DraftKings pick?

Speaker 2 (53:27):
I got a juicy one, man, I'm very interesting in
this Coats Rams game. Later on today, Rams favorite three
and a half at home over n There's forty nine
and a half, so Vegas thinks there's gonna be some points.
I'm with Vegas, man, give me the over on this
forty nine and a half with this coach team. We're
just sitting here watching the Giants game, talking about Brian

(53:48):
Dabole and them having Danny Dimes and what they did
with him fourteen a fifteen touchdown passes, you know, netted
him forty million dollars and got the money there. But
what Daniel Jones is doing with the coach right now,
if I see it today, they come win this game today. Okay,
I'm on the badwagon. I'm holding off first touchdown. Those
the number I want to focus on Jonathan Taylor. It

(54:10):
might be the best back in football right now. First
touchdown plus four point fifty through draft kings. Want to
make yourself a little gas money, lunch money for the
week man, for the working class man or woman. Take
Jonathan Taylor on the first touchdown, Coach, get the ball first,
I believe.

Speaker 1 (54:25):
I think they drive the length of the field and
punch it in for the first touch down. Now on
the plus four fifty Jonathan Taylor. All right, we have
some potential upsets brewing. The Giants lead the Chargers ten
to three two minute warning. They have a third and
eleven right now at the Chargers thirteen yard line. So
keep an eye on that. And you want a shocker,

(54:45):
Bill's Saints two minut warning, let's go. Bill's leading the
Saints fourteen to ten, but the Saints have the ball
at the Buffalo nineteen yard line. Come on, what kind
of seriously, what kind of play could you have gotten
if you had bet on the Saints to lead it
halftime right at Buffalo?

Speaker 2 (55:05):
Just even leading at halftime right now the three and
zho what was the line on this game and a half?
Fourteen and a half last night?

Speaker 1 (55:13):
And by the way, now the Saints have a third
and one at the Buffalo ten yard line, So Rattler
just scrambled for nine yards to get down to the
one yard to the ten yard line of Buffalo. So
fourteen and a half point dog Saints at the very least,
I guess, get a field goal here to make it
a one point game. But they have a chance to

(55:34):
get in the end zone and potential halftime lead on
the road against the Bills.

Speaker 2 (55:39):
And and you think about some of the stuff that
you heard coming out this week too, how Alvin Kamara
was on a trading block and they were listening to
offers and could be listening to offers.

Speaker 1 (55:49):
He can be like, you know, he could be half
for the right price.

Speaker 2 (55:52):
And right then and there I said, Okay, there's the
and seventeen mentality is, you know, we're not doing nothing
this year and we're getting out of this now. We're
gonna start to try to stock pile. Even if we
don't finish with the worst record, we want to try
to get to the number one overall pick. Hopefully Arch
has a better second quarter of his college career, decides
to come out, have that whole story. But once again,

(56:14):
as I said earlier, the Bills are a team that
they played down to their competition sometimes and that's why
I just cannot put them as a serious Super Ball contender.
I've said this, They'll win ten and eleven, twelve thirteen games,
ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. I've said this. But
you're telling me that they're gonna go and they're gonna
win it. Absolutely not. The window closed four years ago,

(56:36):
five years ago in the division game in Kansas City.

Speaker 1 (56:38):
It did.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
They're still gonna be a good team, but as far
as going to win the Super Bowl, these are the
reasons why.

Speaker 1 (56:42):
Steve all Right? Teams that are struggling right now. The
Carolina Panthers are struggling down twenty one to six, and
the Patriots have a first and goal at the one
yard line. Make the story of this game. Marcus Jones.
We heard his eighty seven yard touchdown punt return. He
had another punt return for sixty one. So he had
two punt returns, one for eighty seven and a score,

(57:04):
the other for sixty one to set up another score
for the Patriots. So if you're the Panthers right now,
you're like looking at that special teams guy saying, I'm sorry,
could we get a little punt coverage here? Talking about
flipping the field. It's not like Drake Mays that he's
got ninety five yards. They're not doing much offensively, but
when you're flipping the field on long punt returns, it's

(57:27):
a big advantage for a team. So the Panthers struggling
once again today, down twenty one to six to the Patriots,
and the Patriots are knocking on the door for get
another touch.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
Anybody that fires their special teams coach, I'm going after you.
It is not their fault. I've already explained this earlier
in the show. The NFL has bought this upon themselves.
You cut down practice time, you cut down prep time.
Now I have to eliminate small things out, but still
prepare fifty three grown men to suit up on a Sunday,

(57:58):
Thursday or Monday night and go compete against another set
of fifty three grown men.

Speaker 1 (58:04):
And the one thing you were going to lack a
little on is special teams.

Speaker 2 (58:08):
The proof is in the pudding, as everybody knows here
Vja don't eat putting that I think is discussing.

Speaker 1 (58:12):
I don't. I'm not a snacky pet. Oh god, I
can't stand putting. Are you kidding me? When you must
have had bad pudding?

Speaker 5 (58:17):
No?

Speaker 1 (58:17):
What doll? We six? What are you six? But then
my daughter the Journey doesn't eat pudding. She's three. My
daughter can't stand putting. My son Cameron can't stand putting.
But listen, boy, you don't like flann No what uh god?

Speaker 9 (58:29):
Where are you?

Speaker 1 (58:30):
Do you eat jello?

Speaker 4 (58:31):
Too?

Speaker 1 (58:32):
Like? What are we doing? My grandfather eight, My grandfather
who lived to be ninety seven, It was mentally alert
all the way to the end. He lived on jello.
I mean he would never eat greens. Nothing green. He
would always sell. Everyone else would have like a salad
side salad. He would have a cello. Yeah, I've seen majello. Yes,

(58:53):
I get him. And the man made it to ninety seven.
My grandfather Clara Spearman, Laura rest Is, So are p
Grandpapel miss you? He like red Jello, he would like him.
Jello is big with the fruit in it. What are
we doing here anyway? I don't do nothing.

Speaker 2 (59:08):
I don't eat put if the proof is always in
to putting and special teams is lacking because it's not
being coached people.

Speaker 1 (59:17):
They don't spend the time. Why am I hiring a
coach and paying a coach and just not being But
you can't, okay, but that's not his fault.

Speaker 2 (59:24):
The special teams coach doesn't get to make the schedule
for practice.

Speaker 1 (59:27):
He's got nothing. He gets handed what he gets to do.
He gets always off on the side doing their thing.
No one ever pays attention. That's the problem, all right.
The Saints now have a third goal at the Bill's
six yard life. By the way, the Giants, they get
a field goal. They lead the Chargers thirteen to three.
The big story there's words the Chargers offense today on

(59:48):
the road against the windless Giants. Saints, though, are trying
to get in the end zone as they're looking to
take a highly improbable halftime lead. Speaking of half times,
Falcons lead the Manders set the half by a score
of seventeen to ten. Michael Pennix Junior twelve to seventeen,
one hundred and fifty yards and a score. Welcome Sehn
Robinson twelve carries fifty four yards and a score. Marcus

(01:00:11):
Mariota has not been terrible for the Commanders, but let's
face the folks, he's not Jayden Daniels. All Right, We
now have a field goal for the Lions as they
have increased their lead now to twenty seven over the
Cleveland Browns. Atriots twenty eight to six, twenty eight to
six annihilated. Well, I mean, I just told you last

(01:00:34):
week who punt returns a big game change are right there.
It's not like the Patriots are doing a lot offensively,
but special teams are killing them. Meanwhile, speaking of being killed,
the Buccaneers down twenty four to three final seconds of
the first half here and this has just been unbelievable.
Jalen Hurts first half numbers folks, fifteen of sixteen, one

(01:00:58):
hundred and thirty yards, two touchdowns, four carries forty two yards.
By the way, saycon Barkley has seven carries for eighteen yards.
So Hurts has forty two yards rushing, one hundred and
thirty yards passing two touchdowns. It has been the Jalen
Hurts show in this first half of this commanding twenty
four to three halftime lead for the Eagles over the

(01:01:20):
undefeated Buccaneers.

Speaker 2 (01:01:22):
There I said that Jalen Hurts is probably gonna be
the best quarterback in that draft class to come out,
Like would you put him ahead of? Like I said,
we asked quarterbacks to do certain things, and all the
guy keeps doing is what we claim we want quarterbacks
to do. But for some reason we put other quarterbacks
about him, but more just off of him, you know,
because I don't want to meet this all about him.

(01:01:43):
I still think this is just the best team in football.

Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
They're coach.

Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
Well, I've mentioned this about Sirianni. I kind of get
why people don't like him, because people don't like Quirky,
and that's fine. Corky doesn't bother me, though, because I
believe we're all a little quirky in our own little way,
in its own as our own perspective of what normal is.
But this football team is loaded. Steve Well, they had
a lot of changes.

Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
This was the argument because I said, as you know,
we were sitting here making our preseason picks, I'm like,
I look at the Eagles and I know, like, well,
there's never been a back to back NFC East champion
over the last twenty years. I'm like, he's gonna beat them.
We're trying to find the Commanders. No one of those
teams are going to beat them in the East. And
then I started looking at the rest of the NFC.

(01:02:25):
I mentioned the Rams with a healthy Matthew Stafford. Obviously,
when Michaeh Parsons goes to the Packers puts Green Bay
on the map. None of these teams are close. And
you say, well, the Rams are right there last week, yah,
But they weren't. And Jalen Hurts, after doing nothing at
half in the first half, did everything in the second
half to bring the Eagles back to win that game.

(01:02:45):
All right. So it's halftime now in Detroit leading the
Browns by a score of twenty to seven, and apparently
the Saints. Oh no, they didn't. Huh, I got it.

Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
I got it up on my green here too, and
Steve call one of these games ourselves.

Speaker 1 (01:03:04):
It was an interceptions there you go, and Stler, are
you kidding me? Through? An interception? When they wasnt I
got something for? I got us on? It wasn't. It
wasn't a pick here. Yeah you're on.

Speaker 10 (01:03:19):
Yeah, we got you, We got you Buffalo's ball, Yes,
it was.

Speaker 1 (01:03:25):
They tried, They asked, they asked, they tried the Philly special.

Speaker 9 (01:03:32):
You do.

Speaker 1 (01:03:37):
He doesn't have Phillies roster right now? All right, this
show is sponsored by Draft Games sports Booking, official sports
betting partner in the NFL. Right now, use the promo
code Fox Game. That's Fox Game to claim your special
offer at Draft Kings. Draft Kings, the crown is yours.
Don't forget that the promo code Fox Game. All right,
let's find out what is trending right now? Is months

(01:03:59):
ago us a little sneak peek, but wow, the Saints
are right there to maybe take a halftime lead in
Buffalo and you know what want to see before you
but just a buck eye, right yeah, right, and done.

Speaker 9 (01:04:14):
It before you know.

Speaker 10 (01:04:16):
What I'm saying that's why they I hear you.

Speaker 9 (01:04:18):
But he's done it before.

Speaker 1 (01:04:19):
I tied Brussels Scrous was before too. Doesn't mean I'm
gonna do it all the time. Maybe just some sea
saw some olive oil and oven.

Speaker 9 (01:04:25):
I hear you.

Speaker 10 (01:04:28):
Yes, So the Saints won't have the lead at the
half of maybe you never know.

Speaker 9 (01:04:33):
This game has been a little bit wild. Bills are
up fourteen to ten.

Speaker 10 (01:04:36):
Yeah, coming down to the final minute, coming down to
the final minute in a lot of these games of
the first.

Speaker 9 (01:04:40):
Half or there in halftime.

Speaker 10 (01:04:42):
Just so you know, So I don't keep saying the
same thing, y'all, Why do we play at Metlive Stadium?

Speaker 1 (01:04:46):
Why do we play like that? Look bad?

Speaker 9 (01:04:50):
That one was a non contact injury one hundred percent.

Speaker 10 (01:04:54):
Joe aults look like, you know, somebody crashed into him
a little bit, which still they have not fully ruled
him out. He has an ankle injury, is what they're saying.
And the latest with Maleak Neighbors is yeah, he was
carted off with a non contact injury. No further information
on Maleak Neighbors of the Giants, but the Giants are
up on the Chargers thirteen to three, all Eagles against

(01:05:15):
the Buccaneers twenty four to six. Dallas Goddter four catches,
thirty seven yards and two touchdowns.

Speaker 9 (01:05:21):
That came from Jalen.

Speaker 10 (01:05:22):
Hurts, who's having himself a half. The Texans over the Titans.
Six zero is the score there. The Patriots Gibson Antonio
Gibson with the latest touchdown for the Patriots, so they're
on top of the Panthers twenty eight to six, and
the Browns are losing to the lines in Detroit twenty
to seven to seven. Jared Goff twelve of eighteen, one
hundred and eighteen yards and a touchdown. Jamior Gibbs five

(01:05:43):
carries forty one yards and a touchdown, and then the
Falcons have a seventeen to ten lead over the Commanders
at the half.

Speaker 9 (01:05:49):
As well.

Speaker 10 (01:05:50):
Earlier today in the world of football, specifically in Dublin,
the Steelers pulled off the upset as they defeated the
Vikings twenty four to twenty one. So Pittsburgh is now
three to one. Minnesota is now two and two. Carson
Wentz though from Minnesota thirty of forty six, three hundred
and fifty yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions in that one
Justin Jefferson had ten catches for one hundred and twenty
six yards.

Speaker 9 (01:06:11):
Still to come Chiefs and Ravens.

Speaker 10 (01:06:13):
We should see Chris Jones, the allpriroa defensive tackle for
the Chiefs play. He was added to the injury report
with a non injury designation. There was a death in
his family, so he should be flying back in time
to play today against the Ravens. In college football, Arkansas
has fired coach of Sam Pittman. And in NBA news,
El Horford saw that free agent Old Morford, who's how old?

Speaker 9 (01:06:36):
Fifty two?

Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
They got a grandson? Doesn't look right?

Speaker 10 (01:06:40):
Yeah, has committed to a multi year deal, multi year,
multi year deal with the Golden State Warriors.

Speaker 1 (01:06:46):
Wow, pickup, Yes, pickup.

Speaker 9 (01:06:50):
So it'll be his nineteenth season entering into the NBA.

Speaker 1 (01:06:54):
Steph Curry's not that far behind any guys. We're talking
about guys that started the collegiate gate in the two thousands.
All right, we're well into the twenty twenty. So a
four alover did go back to back with Florida with
Jo there, he's a great.

Speaker 10 (01:07:09):
Pickup even at this eight, so good, he's still a
thread on the perimeter.

Speaker 9 (01:07:13):
No, it's a good one for them.

Speaker 1 (01:07:14):
I was actually at both those games, covering those final
fours back in the day. That is a long time ago,
long time ago, six right, all right, six oh seven,
back to back years, beating UCLA and Ohio State. That's
when Greg Odin was the Ohio State Starr. That's college
all right, Monzi.

Speaker 10 (01:07:33):
I think we got a touchdown from the Chargers to
Quinston Johnson.

Speaker 1 (01:07:36):
Okay, let me tell you what happened here in this game,
and this indeed, so this was a rookie mistake of
the highest order. So the Chargers had the ball, and
they had a fourth and two at the forty one
yard line of the Giants, and Justin Herbert is literally
staring at Abdual Carter on the other side, and he

(01:07:59):
barks out his and Carter jumps for the off side penalty.
They ran the play anyway. It was intercepted by the Giants,
but obviously they'd already been off side called, and instead
of the Giants going into halftime with a thirteen to
three lead, now it's thirteen to ten. So and Herbert
was looking right at Carter, rookie, I see you ready

(01:08:21):
for this hike, and he just jumped completely offside and
the Chargers. By the way, Kenton Johnson, who's getting a
lot of heat for not being that guy, he is
that guy. He's actually hanging on to the ball and
more importantly for the Chargers scoring touchdown. So now thirteen
to ten Giants lead the Chargers seconds to go in
the first half. There, once again, this is End Zone Radio.

(01:09:07):
posted right after we get off the air. All right,
this is that time where we get to peak a
little bit as we head to halftime around the seven
games going on in the NFL right now at some
of the games coming up a little bit later, and
you know, and there's a lot of interesting stuff coming
up here. But one game I definitely want to get
into is the game coming up here. Ravens on the

(01:09:30):
road against the Chiefs. I mean, this is two teams
that are one and two. This is a potential matchup
before the season that I'm a lot of people probably said,
there's your AFC Championship game, Ravens Chiefs. Can the Ravens
finally get it done and beat the Chiefs? And yet
both these teams right now struggling at one and two.
Lamar Jackson is putting up monster numbers for the Ravens

(01:09:52):
once again, but it's not translating into victories. And so
you know, if there is going to be a knock
on Lamar Jackson in his already Hall of Fame worthy career,
it's the fact that, yes he has big numbers, but
usually he's piling up numbers in which the Ravens are
blowing opponents away in crunch time. Is he really that guy?

(01:10:18):
And you know, we could we can talk all day
the numbers don't lie. We could talk about his playoff
record it's three and five. We can talk about other
games where the Ravens are struggling to win games late
and Lamar Jackson comes up short. So it can't be dismissed.
It's something that's going to have to be overcome if
Lamar Jackson is ever going to find himself crowned as

(01:10:41):
a Super Bowl champion. All right, A couple of things now.

Speaker 2 (01:10:44):
Number One, you're right, numbers don't lie, But numbers also
don't always tell the complete context truth in sports, and
we've gotten into an era where numbers are used to
try to make points for people's personal narra and I
try to stay away from that because, as you know,
I'm a tape guy, and when you put the tape on,

(01:11:05):
the tape is what doesn't lie. You can't you can't
put variables to tape.

Speaker 1 (01:11:10):
It's you.

Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
It's there. I can see it. Nothing got ai, nothing
got edited.

Speaker 1 (01:11:15):
It's you.

Speaker 2 (01:11:16):
Yes, his postseason record is three and five, but he
doesn't fumble on the goal line going into the end
zone like Zay Flowers does. He doesn't change the game
plan and actually try to turn himself into a pocket
quarterback in the AFC Championship game at home against the Chiefs,
when your favorite to win, when you led the league
in rushing for the last twenty four months the last

(01:11:40):
two years the Ravens had led the league in rushing.
It for some reason, Todd Monkin and those guys decided
to say no, we're gonna show that we.

Speaker 1 (01:11:49):
Can make Lamar a pocket that no, you don't like.
Today is the day you go to Lamar and say, hey, hey, buddy,
go get this one.

Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
B Lamar, be the run, be whatever you gotta be
to go get us to the biggest Sunday on the
calendar year in the world. This is the biggest maybe
other than Easter Sunday. It's Super Bowl Sunday in the world.
That's number one, number two. Right now, this ain't on him, man,
Dereck Henry. Did you see the way he was Did

(01:12:17):
you see I've never seen a guy so big break
down the way that he did on national television after
the fumble last week.

Speaker 1 (01:12:26):
This is a ree fumbles three weeks. This is a problem. Now.

Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
This is not just oh, it's not nod. Stop trying
to blame Harball. Stop trying to blame Lamar. Blame the
guy that's put in the pigskin on the turf. Blame
that guy, Dereck Henry. This is you today.

Speaker 1 (01:12:44):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:12:44):
If I'm them, Derek Henry gets twenty five carries today,
I'm coming back to you, big dog, all right, I might.

Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
Be coming back. I shall understand this about this matchup.
The Chiefs are a full two and a half point
dog at home. I mean that's not like a pick um.
That means that they're saying on a neutral field, the
Ravens are like a five and a half point favorite.
Like it is not even close right now between these
two teams. Look, I predicted before the season the Chiefs
will be lucky to get into the wild card. I

(01:13:10):
didn't think that what we saw in the super Bowl
was a mirage. This is a team in decline. That
being said, what still makes them relevant is Patrick Mahomes.
What still makes this Chiefs Chiefs team relevant is Patrick Mahomes.
The odds makers are saying, this is it. The Ravens
are going to go into Casey. They're going to put
a beat down on the Chiefs again. Lamar Jackson nine touchdowns,

(01:13:33):
no picks. He has one hundred and forty one passer rating.
Razy numbers is yo, because they're one and two. That's
it's called empty numbers. Well, they have no defense. Ravens
defense is atrocious. And how did that happen year? Well,
unfortunately happened back from not a great defense. Their secondary

(01:13:54):
has been weak for years VJY and they get exposed
once again. But are you buying into the idea of
the Chiefs at home that they are a prohibitive underdog
to this range.

Speaker 2 (01:14:04):
No, this is a sucker bet right here, because I
found a number right here. You're gonna love you love numbers. Teave,
you got you you help me elevate MC game Steve
nineteen one in nineteen seven and one in the last
twenty seven game. The Chiefs are against the spread. I
know there are great dents against the spread.

Speaker 1 (01:14:19):
Now, Baltimore, what sir, I would love to see what
their stat is as a dog? Right? How many I
can find anything? So that hasn't been since my homes
became their quarterback. How many times have the Chiefs actually
been a home home dog? Yeah?

Speaker 10 (01:14:32):
Two?

Speaker 1 (01:14:33):
All three times? That is the show goes on and
I'll bringing that to you. But another one.

Speaker 2 (01:14:36):
I also want to bring Kansas City also to straight
up as an underdog, and their last fourteen games at home,
guess what their record is, thirteen and one as a
home underdog.

Speaker 1 (01:14:51):
Straight is a great number. That is a great number.
All right. Speaking of great numbers, more great numbers coming
up for you as we continue on seven games currently
going on around the NFL Stats scores Analysis. We break
it down here on End Zone Radio. First two goal
to go for the half yard line.

Speaker 13 (01:15:10):
Antonio Gibson is the tail, the tenem Jack West over
the fullback hand down the front of here.

Speaker 1 (01:15:15):
Three tight ends with a lot of hands off. Gipson
started left cutting what the zone touchdown? Patriots rounds on.
That's ninety eighty five the Sports Hub and the Patriots
Radio Network. Blowout halftime score of the day so far,
Patriots lead the Panthers hurt twenty eight to six. Patriots

(01:15:36):
haven't even won a home game. Looks like they're well
on their way today. All right, once again End Zone Radio. Here,
we're in the Fox Sports Radio studios. The show sponsored
by DraftKings Sportsbook, an official sports betting partner of the NFL.
Right now, use the promo code Fox Game. That's Fox
Game to claim your special offer at DraftKings. DraftKings, the
Crown is yours. Don't forget that promo code Fox Game

(01:15:59):
once again. V Do you have for us a Draft
Kings pick?

Speaker 2 (01:16:03):
Yeah, one, I want to go back to. I took
as my upset special today the Commanders. I took the
Commanders and I called it the Marcus Marrio and the
Mama said, knock you out revenge tour because he went
and took care of a former team last week. We
all know that on the season or quarterback, he was
playing for the Falcons right season one, a quarterback on
Netflix playing for the Falcons, And I just looked at
this game. I know there's no Terry McLaurin, I know

(01:16:25):
there's no Jayden Davis, but I look at this Falcons
team and I know a lot of people love Michael Pennix,
but I continue to go back to the Michigan National
Championship game and I.

Speaker 1 (01:16:35):
Know out here Old VJ it was just one game. Okay,
I get it, but that doesn't mean you can't see
Tennessee's in one game.

Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
That's wrong if you're thinking that way. And that defense,
as we now know, was loaded with nflers that are
all in the league right now, a lot of them.
Mikey Sanders still starts for the Commanders, so he's seen Pick,
he's seen Pennis before. I just feel like this Commander's
team has a good defense. Dead Queen's gonna always have
his team ready to play.

Speaker 1 (01:17:01):
And then when you go and you look at some
of these numbers.

Speaker 2 (01:17:03):
Washington is nine and two straight up in their last
eleven verse the NFC North Uh and then also thirteen
and three against the spread in the last fourteen week
fours are the Falcons, and this was a one and
a half point spread. So even with no Daniels and
no McLaurin, Vegas looked at this as a coin toss
game in the Mercedes Dome down in Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (01:17:25):
So I'm still going with the Commanders as my upset special.
This game is seventeen to ten right now, by the way,
Commanders have the ball now right down at the Atlanta
thirty four yard line, So take the field goal, take
the three points to ten nights to go into fifty
one yard fields going down with the four point game
only two hundred and five yards for Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (01:17:44):
They're not blowing this game out right here, and they
have five point seven yards average per play. Washington has
six yards of play, six yards of play. Marrio just
got to get the ball move only seventy five yards
they have passed through the air. But I'm gonna stick
with the Commanders and my upset special today at the
Falcons as draft keys upset special.

Speaker 1 (01:18:02):
All right, looking at some of the games going on
right now, we have already started second half, so we
mentioned that game between the Falcons and the Commander's Bills,
trying to shake it off after a very lackluster first
half saw them beating the Saints fourteen to ten. They
benefited from a trick play that blew up in the
Saints face. Otherwise this would be a one point game.

(01:18:22):
Bills have the ball right now. Lions trying to take
a man against the Browns. They have a twenty to
seven lead and they have the ball, so they are
on the move right now. It's gonna be interesting to
see what adjustments, if any necessary, the Chargers make against
the Giants. So Jackson Dark got off to a hot start.
I know that Scataboo is a guy you're not high on.

(01:18:44):
He is a battering ram. He was at an Arizona
State for two day years and he by the way,
he's had some impressive runs. Yeah, you know on the
NFL network they have that angry run thing and they
fall in love with Scataboo. He's one of those guys.
Tank Carrie's forty six yardstible numbers today. But yeah, when
You're the kind of back that's not gonna really run
around anyone, and you're just running people over. You're not

(01:19:07):
gonna have a long career in the NFL. I mean Hillis,
you will wear down rapidly. But right now the Giants
do have the ball, leaning the Chargers by a score
of thirteen to ten. And then in the game that wow, wow,
I mean Texans Titans, I guess these games have to
be played. The Texans have two field goals, so once

(01:19:30):
again even against the Titans. And we knew the Titans
would struggle offensively today with their rookie quarterback cam Ward,
but for the fourth consecutive game now against a winless,
Tightan Titans team, six points. The Texans don't have any offense.
Six point.

Speaker 2 (01:19:47):
Something's going on, and bo alluded to the offensive line.
I just feel it's a little more than the offensive line.
The Dolphins got a bad offensive line. They still could
score twenty to thirty points on any given Sunday with
two wins Tyreek and Wad in a chain. And they
have a terrible offensive line, probably one of the worst.
Carolina terrible offensive line. Follow I'm a trenches guy, man,

(01:20:07):
Like it doesn't it doesn't take a genius to figure
out the game of football. Sometimes and it starts in
the trenches. You have to run the ball, protect the passer.
You have to stop the run and rush the passer.
That's where games are one and lost, where it starts. Yes,
turnovers and penalties.

Speaker 1 (01:20:25):
Yeah, that's that's all. That's all variables on the back end.

Speaker 2 (01:20:28):
But if you can't block, and if you can't get
past the blockers, you got no shot. And that's the
problem that I see with this Texas offense.

Speaker 1 (01:20:37):
They can't move the football. But CJ.

Speaker 2 (01:20:40):
Stroud and I've heard you guys use this terminology before
a quarterback should be able to overcome certain.

Speaker 1 (01:20:48):
Bad parts of your team. Well, they have to take adjustment, right,
and it just doesn't seem like CJ. Stroud can do that.
He has not adjusted because defenses have adjusted against him.
So again, this team, I averaged just sixteen points a
game coming into this game, and today against a winless
Titans team, six points with five minutes ago. All right,

(01:21:10):
we got second half's underway, a lot of excitement in store,
and we will cover every single second for you. This
is end Zone Radio our three. Oh that's right, it's
not just any hour that. Do you know what time
it is, No Huddle Hour? Yeah, it's the No Huddle Hour.

Speaker 11 (01:21:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:21:32):
Kick things into gear. We have seven games around the NFL.
We're heading well into second halfs right now, so we
take it to the next level once again. We're in
the Fox Sports Radio Studios show, sponsor by DraftKings sportsbook
and Officials, sports betting partner of the NFL. Right now,
use the promo code Fox Game. That's Fox Game to
claim your special offer at DraftKings. DraftKings, the crown is yours.

(01:21:55):
Don't forget the promo code Fox Game. All right. Some
interesting happenings around the seven games going on right now
around the National Football League. One of them is the Browns.
After a interception by the Browns of a Jared Goff pass,
the Browns are suddenly in a position where they can

(01:22:15):
get back in this game. So we're looking right now.
They have a third and seven right now at the
Lions fifteen yard line, and Joe Flacco gets hit as
he throws it, and that is going to go nowhere.
So it looks like the Browns will have to settle
for a field goal. There By the way, the Patriots
are now leading the Panthers thirty five to six. Thirty five.

Speaker 2 (01:22:36):
I known Henry just scored again thirty five.

Speaker 1 (01:22:40):
Listen, man, don't do that to me. Don't say three times. Well,
I'm just saying. I mean, I don't care who was
on the other side of the ball. If you're losing
to New England thirty five to six, that is a
bad day at the office.

Speaker 2 (01:22:53):
Let me ask you a question, because as as a
BUCA just slips in behind to see it, make sure
there's no flags down.

Speaker 1 (01:23:00):
He walks in backwards.

Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
Looks like Baker Mayfield just hit him for a touchdown
to get some fire started for these Buccaneers. You can
tell the ref one that the flag right there. Now
you can't listen. I don't mind guys. Listen, these guys
put a lot on their body.

Speaker 1 (01:23:15):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:23:15):
Let these guys celebrate and show off. And I don't
mind it. Got slowing down at the one and walking
in backwards. If you don't want him to do that,
catch up to him.

Speaker 1 (01:23:24):
But when you look at a daylight today and you
look at these games, and you look at the Panthers,
how long And this isn't Bryce Young, I'm talking about
just the coaching staff like they you just changed the
coaching staff.

Speaker 2 (01:23:38):
Yeah, but man, how long when you're getting beat like
this in year two of your regime?

Speaker 1 (01:23:44):
Hot? Right? Yeah, see your face? How long? We've seen
a lot of the Panthers have had one and done coaches.
It's not like they you know. Again, this gets back
to an organization and you know like panic button you're
not on like early panic button to ownership. Oh yeah,
the guys throwing drinks on people. This goes back to ownership. Well,

(01:24:06):
the Panthers from the day they were born were a
wall run organization. They were contenders. This team was in
the Super Bowl ten years ago. David Tepper comes in
and buys this team and destroys this organization. You worked
like you know why because you haven't worked there. You

(01:24:29):
have an owner with no backgroun in football who decides
I know football, I know better than you. I know
better than that. This guy is that is that yead
is Tepper. He's like he's a hedge fun guy. He
made billions and because he did, he thinks that I
am an expert on a lot of things. Well, it's
one thing to have a resume that includes a net

(01:24:50):
worth of twenty billion dollars. That's impressive. It doesn't make
you someone that understands football. So he gets impatient. Uh,
and then just you know, the carousel of coaches and
general managers and players begins. Remember they traded up for
Bryce Young? Did they traded U was Chicago's pick? They

(01:25:10):
traded up for Bryce Young? And today Bryce Young again
mediocre numbers, not terrible, eleven to twenty and twelve yards
of touchdown, no picks. Yeah, but it's not it's starting killed.
It starts at the top, and it starts with ownership.
And the Carolina Panthers have an owner that has completely
discombobulated what had been a very steady organization from their

(01:25:35):
birth thirty years ago. And you can go all the
way back to Jake Delane and Steve Smith. They were
on it. They were getting the Super Bowl against the
Patriots and were winning that game. They were in the
NFC Championship game the second year of their existence. Yeah,
so Steve Berlin was it was it? Who was it? Berlin? Berlin? No?

Speaker 2 (01:25:53):
No, who was because I know I know Brunell Because
the second year in the Jackson's existence, they've beaten the Broncos.
Remember they they shocked the Broncos and Brunel was their quarterback?

Speaker 1 (01:26:03):
Who was the quarterback? Was it Berlin? Was it? Hold on,
I admit, I'm going to have to because I I
what happens is I'm sitting there swimming with different quarterbacks.
When I got that one, it was Carrie Collins. Kerry
Collins after he went before the Giants for Giants, right,
was his research line was there? But in the end

(01:26:26):
it was Carrie Collins that actually led that team into
that He was also there and then they car Collins
led the Giants to a blowout Super Bowl loss against
the right Jeremy Shocking. Yeah. All right, So again tough
day at the office of the Panthers as a trail
the New England Pages by a score of thirty five

(01:26:48):
to six. All right, so we're seeing if the Panthers,
excuse me, the Buccaneers can get back in this game
right now against the Eagles. First half of this game
was all Eagles, but now the Buccaneers showing life. I'm
going to bring bow on here for just a moment here,
bo Is this a case where the Buccaneers are showing
life or the Eagles are just sort of sitting on

(01:27:10):
this lead right now, thinking there's no way that the
Bucks can come back.

Speaker 4 (01:27:14):
I mean, I don't know that touchdown pass to Agbuco
should have been intercepted twice.

Speaker 1 (01:27:18):
Look, two defender guys.

Speaker 4 (01:27:21):
Sometimes guys just make plays. We'll see what happens, all right.
So well, I think the Eagles, you know, I will
say their offense looked much better in the first half
than it had all season long up to this point.
But they have not played well on a couple offensive
possessions they've had in the second half.

Speaker 1 (01:27:38):
So we'll seeyeah, Well, first half doesn't get much better
than fifteen to sixteen passing, and that's what Jalen Hurts
was in that first half for the Eagles. A complete
flip of last week when the Eagles had zero offense
in the first half against the Rams and they had
the furious comeback in that second half. Another game I
want to check in with you coming up a little

(01:27:58):
bit later on here here locally where we broadcast. The
Rams are going to be hosting the undefeated Colts, and
every week now over the last couple of weeks, we
keep expecting the Colts to wake up. Right, Is Daniel
Jones going to continue to play as well as he
has Jonathan Taylor leading the NFL and rushing right now,
that's not a big surprise. But also there's the question

(01:28:18):
of the Rams after that heartbreaking loss. You had the
Eagles beat not just beat, you beat them down and
to let them come all the way back and win
that game. Yeah, the Rams are at home. But I
know one thing, and I heard Sean McVay, and I
heard a lot of the Rams players playing this local

(01:28:40):
league TV wise, Sean McVay is saying, do not take
this Colt teams lightly. They are their record, they are
three to zero, they can run the ball, and they
have a quarterback playing with a lot of confidence right now.
We cannot take this team lightly. So is this going
to be a rough and tumble game. Is this going
to be one of those gut checks for the Rams

(01:29:01):
or are the Rams gonna wake up? Because look, on paper,
the Rams are a significantly better team, I believe than
the Indianapolis. I think they are on paper with Matthew Stafford,
who by the way, is not one hundred percent healthy
he will be playing, but still with Puka Nakua DeVante Adams. Yeah,
I do believe the Rams are a better team than
the Colts.

Speaker 2 (01:29:20):
I'm not sure about that, and I think that's where
we're getting caught up, where we're waiting to wake up.

Speaker 1 (01:29:25):
So you're believing in the yes, Well, well.

Speaker 2 (01:29:28):
I'm sixty forty there right now. Because once again, like
you said, your you are what your record says you are,
the famous words of Bill Parcells. You are what your
record says you are. People, you can give a bunch
of reasons and excuses. You are owing three. You're owing three.

Speaker 1 (01:29:42):
There's three style points in the pier. All that's college.
That's meant for polls. There are no polls in the
in NFL. Fans losses, wins and losses and championships are dessert.

Speaker 2 (01:29:55):
Okay, the menu is short. It's very short in the NFL.
But you're talking about the number two offense in the
Coats and the number six defense in the Coats. Now,
like I said, Manti's gonna look like a damn genius
because she's the only person on planet Earth outside of
Indiana that I know that really and stood on business.

Speaker 8 (01:30:14):
They're winning the division. She didn't say they were gonna
be a surprise team. She said they were winning the division.
And we all like what, But I didn't know they
had a good defense. I just didn't believe in Daniel
Jones because why would I, right, why would we? But
this is a perfect example. Him and Baker Mayfield are
two guys.

Speaker 2 (01:30:32):
Even Sam Darnold, who I'm not a guy of, but
I gotta give props. Sometimes you just need to get
out of a situation. Get somewhere different. This is life.
Get somewhere different where you're appreciated, where you're respected, and
where you can just put your hair down and just go.
And that's what he seems to have right here. Might

(01:30:53):
have the best back in football. Michael Pittman, in my opinion,
is a top twelve thirteen receiver in the NFL. They
have a really good, fast, physical defense, which is six.

Speaker 1 (01:31:01):
In the league. Right now. Hey man, the Rams.

Speaker 2 (01:31:03):
Better buckle it up today because the Coats could put
that tape on from last week and say, Okay, this
is how you beat them.

Speaker 1 (01:31:08):
We watched the Eagles do it. I think it is
gonna be a tough game. I would agree with the
there Saints are not dead. Saints are not dead. We
got to know what to go in the third quarter.
And the Saints have a second in goal the Buffalo
seven yard line, trailing this game twenty one to ten.
Looking back, it was that ill timed trick play where
a lave was going to throw the ball back to
Spencer Rattler and it got intercepted right before the end

(01:31:32):
of the first half. And then the Bills came down
and scored. But this team, Alvin Kamara is running the
ball well. Everything the Bills are doing offensively is looking good.
But again, when we get back to defenses win championships, yep,
do the Bills have enough defense to win a championship.

Speaker 2 (01:31:49):
No, they don't have enough defense to win the championship.
And that's why they can't get to a Super Bowl
because when you need to make a play, and I'm
not sure if Oliver in the middle linebacker they were
out against Miami. I think Oliver might be out against today.
I'm like, guys are integral ports. When you're missing your
big d tackle in the middle, that matters, Guys.

Speaker 1 (01:32:06):
If it didn't matter, he wouldn't have been the start
to begin with. Touchdown Sat there you go. Have your
quarterback throw the ball much right throwing instead of a
lobby the Rattler. Rattler to love it makes a lot
more sense. And that is a touchdown for the Saints.
So benning the extra point. Bills now lead the Saints
by score of twenty one to two sixteen.

Speaker 2 (01:32:29):
I don't like goal for two right here. I just
saw Spencer Ratler put up to two. I don't agree.
It's third quarter is ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (01:32:35):
Third quarter?

Speaker 2 (01:32:36):
Guys, why like you have at least in my listen,
my estimation, would you say, what three more possessions at
least at least at least three more possessions, at least
you've shown you could play.

Speaker 1 (01:32:45):
They always do this hang with somebody sits there and saying, well,
for down five, you go for two, and it's like, yeah,
you do that when you have two minutes to go, Well,
three and some change will be time. Let's see what
happens here. Obviously they're trying to make it a field
goal game. But again we're still in the third quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:33:01):
Because the Buffalo scores a touchdown. Now you're down twelve. Yeah,
that doesn't and that doesn't make sense. Now you need
two touchdowns and two and to two point.

Speaker 1 (01:33:09):
Conversions, all right, So now there's a time out by
the Bills, all right, So right again, twenty one to
sixteen Bills lead the Saints. We'll continue on with our
coverage of seven games. We're coming down the stretch, fourth
quarters on their way. This is end Zone Radio. Do
you know what time? It is? No huddle hour, cooks

(01:33:30):
in motion under centers. Rattler looks the throat.

Speaker 11 (01:33:33):
Dust throw touchdown Chris Olavey, little slam pattern on the
right side back of.

Speaker 1 (01:33:40):
The inzonal lava.

Speaker 11 (01:33:41):
Couldn't make the touchdown throw, but makes the touchdown catch.

Speaker 1 (01:33:46):
That's WWL Saints Radio Network. Unfortunately for the Saints, they
call it a lame brain two point conversion called Hey,
let's have Spencer Rattler on the keeper right the middle,
right up the middle, right up the middle. He got stuffed,
did not get in. So the Bills maintain a twenty
one to sixteen lead over the Saints as we turned

(01:34:08):
to the fourth quarter in that game. End Zone Radio.

Listen this Jackson forty nine ers game. Brock Perty's back today.
This is a big game, guys, is big? Is brock reready?

Speaker 2 (01:34:45):
Can the Jacks go on the road and get a
dumb but later tonight when all the dust settles. Michael Parsons,
that's back to Dallas. You guess you couldn't write this.

Speaker 1 (01:34:56):
And will not be recognized, will not be honored at
all by the He said he wants his honor to be.

Speaker 2 (01:35:02):
Beating in sacking Dak Prescott, which got me looking at
his over under on half a sack?

Speaker 1 (01:35:09):
What what are you doing? Vegas and Draft Kings take
the over people. He is going.

Speaker 2 (01:35:15):
To torment Dak Prescott all night long.

Speaker 1 (01:35:21):
Trust me, he is motivated. His motor is full.

Speaker 2 (01:35:25):
I'm pretty sure he had two bowls of wheaties and
some protein shakes this morning.

Speaker 1 (01:35:29):
He's ready take thee over on the half a sack.

Speaker 2 (01:35:34):
But I'm gonna push it up to two to over
one and a half, because over one and a half,
so plus two twenty five.

Speaker 1 (01:35:41):
Man, make yourself some extra lunch and gas money for
the week. All right, speaking of extra money, if you
bet on the Giants, you're looking good right now. Giants
not only scored, they decided to go for a two
point conversion. Instead of someone like Spencer Ratler, they gave
it to Scataboo and he just burrowed his way right
into the end zone for the two point conversion. So
the Giants lead the Chargers twenty one to ten, two

(01:36:04):
forty nine to go right now in the third quarter,
so plenty of time for the Chargers. But it has
been a struggle today for Justin Herbert nineteen to thirty one,
only one hundred and sixty one yards. He's thrown two
interceptions in this game. It's not like Jackson Dart is
doing much. He only has sixty two yards passing in
this game. And of course, one of the big stories

(01:36:25):
as well for the Giants, Leak Neighbors went out with
an injury, the NFL reporting it could be a torn
acl Obviously, if that happens, his season is over. Joe
alt not an easy injury. He's out with a high
ankle spray. Those can be very tricky, at least for
a high ankle spray. So they're going to be without

(01:36:47):
their big guy, but without Joe Alton. With Slater already
out for the year, all of a sudden, you're seeing
a Chargers offense that is struggling a little bit today,
certainly against a pretty good Giants defense. Starts in the trains.

Speaker 2 (01:36:59):
I just want to mention this Elite Labors because I
know you guys seen the clip last week of Antonio
Pierce and Odell Beckham Jr. Talking to him in the
tunnel last week, and I tweeted, that is a very
because I looked at his face. I said, that is
a very unhappy Deva Wires and that is a very
unhappy young Diva NFL wide receiver.

Speaker 1 (01:37:19):
He looked disinterested.

Speaker 2 (01:37:21):
He looked like he was kind of staring right through
two veterans that are trying to talk, and they're they're
talking to him for a reason.

Speaker 1 (01:37:26):
People, they could they know what's going on there. Russ.
Russ is throwing the ball all around.

Speaker 2 (01:37:32):
He's not getting the ball to elite Elite Labors elite
neighbors is Todd. It is gonna be like a Justin
Jefferson type of guy, just another L s U receiver
hitting the NFL. Him and Chase and these guys are
all friends and stuff along with guys.

Speaker 1 (01:37:47):
Got a big play for the Buccaneers right now, touchdown
Tampa Bay on long past the target. So they are
trying to once again work their way back in to
this game against the Egles. Even with an extra point here,
they're still trailing to will be trailing thirty one to
twenty so, but perfect pass by the way right with

(01:38:10):
the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (01:38:10):
Bacon Maary gambling on these ball. This is the second
time we've seen is watch this defender right here. Why
are you undercutting this? You don't have safety help, Like
he's just beat Campbell's just beat.

Speaker 1 (01:38:22):
Yeah, yeah, he got beat by Irving. But just the
top off on the elite labor state.

Speaker 2 (01:38:26):
This is why you want to stay positive and you
want to try to stay locked in because if the
reports are true, torn Aco, he's.

Speaker 1 (01:38:32):
Done for the year. So now he's probably gonna have
a new coach. What if the new coach comes in
doesn't like Jackson Dart What if Jackson Dart's not his guy.
What if the guys, what if the Giants go one
in sixteen and they end up with the number one.

Speaker 2 (01:38:44):
Overall pick, do you say we already have our quarterback
or does he fall in love with Penn State's guy
who didn't look like a first round draft pick last
night to me? Or LSU star quarterback that didn't look
like a first round pickt Ohle missed yesterday to.

Speaker 1 (01:38:57):
Me, I got news for you. I've been watching these
quarterback around the college football Thank you nothing, thank you?
There is certainly, in my opinion, I haven't seen a
legitimate first round pick top of the first round. I mean,
like first round of these guys. None.

Speaker 2 (01:39:12):
None of these guys are bona fide top ten fix
and you got people talking about number one overall Fredzizy. No,
none of them and it's on tape. But anyway, Milite
Labors Hill up, buddy. If that's what it is, Giants
dead man walking, they'll be a team in flux next
year because they're gonna fire their coach.

Speaker 1 (01:39:30):
They might get this dubbed to day.

Speaker 2 (01:39:31):
I'm still pulling for my man Justin Herbert and Jimmy Burgers,
but also too We haven't mentioned this all day, and
we mentioned it quite often West Coast team Steve Yeah,
fly back East. Yeah, played the one pm start. Takes
you a while to kind of wake up because that's
ten am for us. That's when we're on there, right,
there's ten a and for us rams today I'll leave
him here and.

Speaker 1 (01:39:49):
Go down so far today that game kicks off at
one twenty five.

Speaker 2 (01:39:52):
Like that, there's a big difference in flying back East
and trying to play this game.

Speaker 1 (01:39:55):
We're just seeing another example of it right here. All right.
The Patriots are about to score again, already leading Carolina
thirty five to six. They have a first and goal
at the four yard line. Meanwhile, we got Chargers in
the end zone. Haha. Marian Hampton, baby, So Marion Hampton,
the rookie who really is being counted on huge after

(01:40:16):
the just like that the end of the season for obviously, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:40:21):
Okay, they're banged up in the running. Their running back
room is is decimated, Baron, it's decimated. They're offensive line.

Speaker 1 (01:40:27):
But looking that was the kind of run that you
see where it's special. He adjusted, he delayed a little bit,
took his time, found the hole and has that step
to get through the hole and off to the races.
And so a huge answer by the Chargers. And now
waiting on the extra point. I wonder if they're goodness grazy,

(01:40:47):
I'm doing the same thing. Twenty one to sixty again
a minute twenty seven to go in the third quarter.
They're not exactly what the Saints did. I exactly what
the did this? It makes no sense. There's a bore
on the side of my goodness. They say, all right,
if you're down five, you go for two to make
it a three point game, regardless of when the point is.

(01:41:08):
If I'm the harbor, I don't go for two. ITTI
the fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:41:14):
It's one twenty seven left in the third Jackson dark
with sixty something passing yards.

Speaker 1 (01:41:19):
You've kind of let the Giants do this to you today.
They're not moving the ball up and down the field.
We got the game on right here. It's all right,
We've watched almost every snap. They're not moving the ball
up and down the field. And then you get your
young rookie running back Boom hit a big home run.
You still have, in my opinion, a guy that I
picked the win the MVP this year. I still think
that you have a shot to get back in this thing.

(01:41:40):
You got more possessions, why would you go for two
right now? Well, let me tell you what's going on
right now with the Saints. They did not get the two,
trailing the Bills twenty one. Shit, wow, they have the
ball at the fourteen yard line of Buffalo. So the
Saints are moving down the field right now. But again,
how do you just kick the extra point right right, right,

(01:42:00):
right right? So then it's twenty one to seventeen. Let's
say you score the Chargers, by the way, do get
the two point conversion, so at least they were able
to get those two points. Still trail the Giants by
a score of twenty one to eighteen. But the Saints
right now, if they score a touchdown, you're up two, right,
you would be up three, be up three four exactly.

(01:42:21):
So that's why. All right, So well let's keep our
eye right here on the Saints. So the Saints right now,
second and nine at the Buffalo thirteen yard line, and
they are going to lose yards on that play, big play,
a little pass out on the flying tooth Camara. All right,
we'll keep our eye on that game. Everything else going on,
in fact, right now, let's find out what is trending.

(01:42:42):
Monsey is here, Sarah, how are your five fantasy teams
doing right? You don't know.

Speaker 10 (01:42:47):
I think they're trending upward now, but anything can happen.

Speaker 1 (01:42:52):
Maybe old that big pass.

Speaker 9 (01:42:54):
He's not too big right now.

Speaker 10 (01:42:56):
This whole second half, or even just the third quarter
of the Eagles and Tampa Bay. You really thought that
Tampa Bay was getting in a rhythm after he threw
a seventy seven yard touchdown.

Speaker 9 (01:43:05):
Pass to a Mecca Abuka.

Speaker 10 (01:43:06):
Then the Eagles punted, so Tampa Bay got the ball back,
and then Bucky you Irving fumbled the ball.

Speaker 1 (01:43:15):
The Saints that he did not know he did not
catch it.

Speaker 2 (01:43:20):
They're talking now, did he catch it?

Speaker 1 (01:43:24):
Did he get I thought all the touchdown? That did
it hit the ground? Touchdow down?

Speaker 9 (01:43:29):
Touch down?

Speaker 1 (01:43:31):
The Saints are lady.

Speaker 9 (01:43:32):
The Bills, Wow, what a day, What a day.

Speaker 8 (01:43:36):
Brandon Cooks one hand, one hand, that's a catch.

Speaker 1 (01:43:44):
He caught it. That's a catch. That one't even close.

Speaker 9 (01:43:46):
Yeah, it looked like it was a catch.

Speaker 1 (01:43:47):
So that was he literally scooped it with one hand,
tipped it to himself, hits his knee. That never hit
the ground hits the ground, that's a catch.

Speaker 9 (01:43:56):
Brandon Cooks, you were right me j on that.

Speaker 10 (01:43:58):
So right now with that touchdown, the Saints do take
the lead from the Bills twenty twenty three.

Speaker 9 (01:44:07):
Am I doing my mouth rong?

Speaker 1 (01:44:08):
That is right now twenty two because they went for
the too, so now you have to go for two again.
Take the exit point right now. Top all of it.

Speaker 10 (01:44:19):
These games have been wild, like the Patriots are crushing
the Panthers, and I mean crushing forty two to six
early in the fourth. Giants still on top of the
Chargers twenty one eighteen on Mario Hampton with the latest
touchdown plus a positive or they converted for the two points.
So that's how the Chargers are only down by three.
Back to the Eagles and Buccaneers. Eagles are up right
now thirty one to twenty late in the third quarter,

(01:44:41):
but Tampa Bay staying in there. Texan CJ Strod with
a second touchdown pass, this.

Speaker 9 (01:44:46):
One to Jayden Higgins.

Speaker 10 (01:44:47):
So they're just shutting out the Titans nineteen zero, less
than seven minutes to go in that one, and the
Lion's still holding on to the Browns. Twenty to ten
is the score. Detroit has not scored in the second half.
Cleveland has a field goal they just got going in
the fourth quarter. Also early in fourth between the Commanders
and the Falcons, Atlanta is up thirty one sixteen. When
it comes to college football, Arkansas Fire head coach Sam Pittman.

(01:45:08):
When it comes to the NBA, Al Herford is signing
a multi year deal with the Warriors. And in baseball, Yeah, baseball,
I forgot that. It's the last day of the regular
season and things matter.

Speaker 9 (01:45:19):
Yankees up on the Orioles one zero, bottom of the
second inning.

Speaker 10 (01:45:22):
They're fighting for the division and the Reds and Mets
are fighting for the final Walcart spot in the National League.

Speaker 9 (01:45:27):
Both of those games are scoreless.

Speaker 10 (01:45:28):
Mets and Marlin scoreless, Reds Brewers scoreless, top of the second.

Speaker 9 (01:45:33):
All right, back to you guys.

Speaker 1 (01:45:34):
All right, monsie, very very good. By the way, who
would you vote MVP Americanly cal Rawley or Aaron Judge
cal Rawly cal Rawley. I would go with Cale Riley.

Speaker 2 (01:45:44):
It hurts me though, because he he broke King Griffy's
Juniors franchise home run.

Speaker 1 (01:45:49):
And then, by the way, you have hurt me. Aaron
Judge leads the air. Judge leads the majors in batting average,
on bates percentage and slugging place.

Speaker 10 (01:45:58):
Sure, Aaron Judge is the greatest small players home question team,
I would give the edge to Cal Rawley, so what
he's done and the Mariners clinching the division for the
first time since two thousand and one when each Ye
row was a rookie, when Julio Rodriguez was eight months old.

Speaker 1 (01:46:15):
You, it's first of all I think will win, but
I guarantee you some time a lot there's going to
be like ten years, twenty years down the road. People
are like, how did Aaron Judge not win in You.

Speaker 9 (01:46:27):
Don't get that it's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (01:46:28):
He let the majors in everything.

Speaker 4 (01:46:30):
Yeah, you know, Baseball voters love a narrative. There's nothing
they can do. There's nothing they can do to give
it to Scherbur in the National League, but they can
definitely give it to Rowling.

Speaker 1 (01:46:40):
By the way, Uh, Marcus Mariota has just throwing a
touchdown past the Deebo Samuel twenty four yards go. So
there was debly gonna go for two here, guys, really
thirty one to twenty two, so a two point conversion
would make it a seven point game, or you kicked
the extra point to make it an eight point game.
You're call your call if you're the Commanders right now,

(01:47:02):
right way? What for two? And they got it? Here
you go, who wants some of d BO Beat him down?
Beat you there? It is thirty one twenty four with
the Commanders eight and a half minutes.

Speaker 10 (01:47:13):
By the way, the touchdown was overturned, I think for
the Saints.

Speaker 1 (01:47:16):
Did they overturn it? Yes, they did overturn it.

Speaker 9 (01:47:19):
They overturned it. So Bills are what, that's.

Speaker 1 (01:47:21):
A bad call because it was called a touchdown on
the field.

Speaker 2 (01:47:25):
Well, they said, you have to have the refutable evidence.
But it's allowed to touch the ground. The rule got changed.
It's allowed to touch the ground if you still control it.

Speaker 1 (01:47:35):
Okay, he controlled it. I didn't see them ball on
the ground. I didn't either. I thought he braced it
against his knee after he scooped it up with his
left hand. All right, So now these Saints are going
to go for the field goal here to make it
a two point game, and the kick is good. So
twenty one to nineteen. Now Bill's lead inside nine minutes
ago in the fourth order Bills were the best team

(01:47:55):
in the league. I have him as the team winning
the Super Bowl this year, which could be, as always,
the kiss of death. This is End Zone Radio. Here

heard a lot of the scores, obviously from Monsei right there.
But which games are in play right now? Falcons, Commanders
in play, Bill Saints in play Lions forget it, they're

(01:48:39):
up twenty seven to ten. Now for the Browns. I
don't see a Browns come back. Hunt return for the
touchdown just now for Khalif Ramers, so that puts that
game away. Patriots, Panthers, don't ask game's over. Giants, Chargers
obviously in play, Eagles, Bucks, Bucks have the ball right now?
This game is in play. Texans, by the way, have
finally woken up as they have blown out the Titans

(01:49:02):
right now twenty six to nothing. All of a sudden,
c J. Stroud wakes, I'm realizes, if we can't get
it done against the Titans, what are we doing? So
the Texans seven a half point favorites today look like
they'll cover with these twenty six nothing with under five
minutes ago in the fourth quarter. All right, so Buccaneers
Eagles right now here we go, Eagles leading thirty one

(01:49:23):
to twenty. By all accounts, this game looked like it
was pretty much over. And now the Buccaneers with their
magic quarterback and he's been magic all year long, Baker Mayfield.
Still a full fourth quarter to go. Can they make
enough plays to come back to beat the Super Bowl champs?
They can? Will they? I'll go out on the limb
right now and say, no, there's plenty of time Eagles

(01:49:46):
territory they are. I'm watching it, and that play's gonna work.
That play's gonna work.

Speaker 2 (01:49:51):
That's gonna work for about five or six yards. But
I want to also to focus, so just on a
few of these different games, and I'll just go as
fas as I can Buffalo three points nineteen twenty one.
Once again just playing down there competition the Chargers, you know,
their offensive line is decimated. But if there's a coach
that can get over this and get past this guys,
it is Jim Harball. It is next man up. They

(01:50:12):
train well, they lift well, they condition well. They'll be
able to plug guys in. Are they Rashaun Slater and
Joe allt No, they're not, but they'll be good enough.
They're gonna come back and win this game. Sorry here
about milite labors. ESPN is not reporting that it may
be feared, all sorts, Fox Sports News, they're all sources
that they are feared he is torn. The NFL is
actually reporting NFL excuse me, I'm sorry. The NFL, thank you, sir,

(01:50:33):
is reporting that he is torn, could possibly have feared
to a torn the ACL But you know, just even aroundly,
you see now the Lions kind of you know, settle
in and take over. It looks like they're gonna cover there.

Speaker 1 (01:50:46):
And of course this Washington score is just so intriguing
to me still twenty four thirty one.

Speaker 2 (01:50:52):
Where does that game end up? But Carolina and I
want to throw this to my man, my man, big
Bo Benson. Preseason, both said that he thought Joe Burrow
could be the quarterback to ask out.

Speaker 1 (01:51:03):
Now Joe Burrow's hurting out and now he can't do that.
Dare I say, Bryce Young? Who wants Bryce Young?

Speaker 2 (01:51:11):
Somebody who I don't know, I don't know, somebody a quarterback?

Speaker 1 (01:51:16):
Why not? Who is this? Let me show this is
Carolina his fault? Is it his fault? But he's not
getting better? How can you get better when you're running?
Look at I have tried to give Bryce Young as
much rope as possible, but the problem is, you're sure
you're out. It's what is it? Year three? You're out?

(01:51:37):
Here's my role, here's my role, not just for him,
any quarterback. There have been exceptions. I understand. Steve Young
was an exception. Dan Foutz was an exception. But if
you haven't arrived by year three in the NFL, it's
not happening.

Speaker 4 (01:51:50):
Even hold up, go ahead, Well, I'm out on I'm
out on him simply because he got up better last
year at the end of the year, he played well
for those four games, and now he's just back to
being really bad.

Speaker 1 (01:52:01):
Is the team better around him? I mean, is the
line better?

Speaker 4 (01:52:04):
Sure, that's fine, But who's giving me a.

Speaker 1 (01:52:06):
Team that says, well, who's going to Bryce Young? You know, Okay,
I'm not going that far ahead.

Speaker 2 (01:52:12):
I'm just speaking of If you guys are saying you're
out on them, you gotta give me. The line is horrible,
his weapons are horrible. He's on his second head coach
in three years. All this matters, guys, and you yourself
has said their front office in ownership is terrible.

Speaker 1 (01:52:31):
To understand this, You didn't just use the number one
overall pick. You used up draft capital. If you put
him on the on the market, you'd be lucky to
get a fifth round pick for him. Listen, at most,
I am no one's gonna give up more than a
fifth for Bryce Young. Fine, I'll be the one to
say it if I'm Bryce Young. I asked. I asked
to get the help.

Speaker 4 (01:52:51):
He may not have to ask out. He could just
be loose.

Speaker 1 (01:52:54):
Well, cut me loose, let me go to Somebody will
sign them, guys, Somebody will sign them guys. You guys, listen,
Jacoby Verssett has a job. People. Okay, you're like a
name quarterbacks. It's got jobs. We got a touchdown pass bills.
By the way, Josh Allen had a mad scramble passed
a Conka twenty eight yards for the touchdown. So just

(01:53:17):
when the Saints got close, No, and that overturn of
that touchdown, you're gonna see this replate over and over again.
That looked good. I mean, Brandon could It looked like
he caught that ball. He scooped in his left hand,
definitely did not hit the ground, and then he sort
of braced it as against his knee as he rolled over.
They showed the replay over and over again. It was

(01:53:39):
ruled a touchdown on the field. They overturned it, and
it's a bit of a touchdown to take the lead.
They end up with the field goal. Now Buffalo answers
back with a touchdown. It's been a bad weekend for
reviews on touchdown catches that should have been touchdown casters
I e. Friday night, Well, this is the argument. Here's
the argument pretty bad. I was listening last night to

(01:54:00):
our Bertie Bertie Fred and uh so somebody called in
about replay because baseball now is going to get replay
on balls and strikes. You have a couple of challenges, right,
and he goes here's the problem with replay. Wherever we
see replay. You see replay, you said, all right, either
that is wrong or right, and then they rule the

(01:54:21):
other way. You know, like, wait a second, I'm looking
at replay. What are you looking at?

Speaker 4 (01:54:28):
I will say that talking about the baseball the AVS system.
When I went to spring training this year with Ryan Burschinger, Yes,
it's fine. It takes no time away from the game.
They tap their helmet, they call for it, they look
at it.

Speaker 1 (01:54:39):
Are they going to get the call right there? Because
they a couple I saw a couple of those. I
saw a couple of those calls in spring training, and
they went opposite of what I was.

Speaker 4 (01:54:50):
They show it on the screen, they show the strike
zone where the ball hit. It's fine, it's.

Speaker 1 (01:54:54):
Not going to strike zones are accurate.

Speaker 4 (01:54:57):
Yeah, I think I think it's more accurate than But
this is what everybody's clamored for is robot hums.

Speaker 2 (01:55:02):
So and that's the problem, BO, because I believe the
one sport that does not need replay is baseball.

Speaker 1 (01:55:10):
Don't I don't disagree. But every up has their own strip.

Speaker 2 (01:55:13):
But this is why it's been you have your everyone
doesn't have to say, like the three point line in basketball,
guess what, it's the same. Well, it's the same on
every court, your strike zone. You just gotta know, you
just gotta know to ump you're dealing with, all right,
And I'm okay with that.

Speaker 1 (01:55:26):
The Bucks got a field goal, so with twelve sixteen
to go, it's a one score game. Eagles still leading
by a score of thirty one to twenty three. We
got exciting finishes and the perfect picks coming up. Yes, indeed,
it's the no huddle hour here on a zone. Radio
play clock down to four on first and ten for

(01:55:46):
the twenty eight takes. The snap takes, the throat of
the flat, looks now the sideline, he's got kinkaid. Who's
gonna walk it in for a twenty three yard touchdown? Oh,
they got the Saints fighting all that. One fake to
the flat, throw to the sideline, and it's easy, peasy,
lemon squeeze. That's WGR five fifty Bills Radio Network. Bills

(01:56:11):
lead the Saints twenty eight to nineteen, and they just
held on a fourth down play by the Saints. So
the Bill Bills have the nine point lead and the
ball five and a half minutes ago, trying to take
control of the game again. They were fourteen and a
half point favorite, still not covering the spread, but up
by nine against the Saints once again. End Zone Radio.

DraftKings pick for me, mister VJ. Huskyim give me the Raiders.

(01:56:59):
I'm the Raiders at one and a half at home.
I know that offense and looking well, and like I said,
we're gonna find out how good this Bears and Caleb
Williams offense is, which it just Dallas's piss poor defense,
or where the Raiders actually bow up at home and
get back on the board here.

Speaker 2 (01:57:15):
I don't expect a lot of points. Take the under
on the forty eight and a half.

Speaker 1 (01:57:19):
All right, it is that time.

Speaker 6 (01:57:21):
Here we go the precise profitable picks over under a
half a flagrant gentlemen, are your perfect picks?

Speaker 1 (01:57:30):
All right? Are you rewinding to two weeks ago?

Speaker 5 (01:57:32):
Because I was out on Catalina Island hunting for buffalo Yes,
I'm sitting there.

Speaker 1 (01:57:38):
Congratulations. By the way, Steve, I missed that while I
was gone. We are now sitting at a three and
one score. VJ just barely picked up the point on
the lower JJ McCarthy one forty and a half yards. Yes,
I had the under on that, I believe. Did I
pick up the point that night?

Speaker 5 (01:57:59):
You had to mean the highest peck and you were
like bagging on the line. But my lines are always undefeated.

Speaker 1 (01:58:05):
But I picked up the point, right, You did pick
up the point.

Speaker 5 (01:58:07):
We'll be three to one on the year, all right,
So let's go to I'm gonna start with Sunday Night
foot excuse me, Monday Night Football.

Speaker 1 (01:58:15):
We want to go to Monday Night Football.

Speaker 5 (01:58:16):
Because I know Vjay's Dolphins are involved. The Dolphins currently
are tied for the worst turnover differential in the league,
but not far behind them. Tied for third worst is
the New York Jets minus five minus four for those two.
So I'm asking you guys. Who will have the higher
turnover differential, who will have the who will beat the
other team on turnovers.

Speaker 1 (01:58:37):
In this game? The Dolphins or the Jets? All right,
so who will win the turnover Yes? Yes, right, so
the lowest turnovers? But yeah, do you want to go
first on this one?

Speaker 2 (01:58:46):
Jessephils point? I know I know it was the games.
I know it was the decision I was supposed to
be made by Priday.

Speaker 1 (01:58:52):
I think it's still a game time. This is really
all right, I'll take the Dolphins. Dolphins win the turnover
battle because if Justin fields plays is going to turn
the ball over s week, right, who has got four
picks already on the season. Yeah, I'll go the other way.
I mean it's a toss up game for me. So yeah,
outside with the Jets winning the turnover battle, that would
make Aaron Glenn happy. That would make him very happy.

Speaker 6 (01:59:13):
All right?

Speaker 5 (01:59:14):
Uh, do you want something from the Cowboys game or
actually you know what audible on that. I'm gonna go
with the the Jaguars game coming up here? Right, A
little bit of news right now, with Travis Hunter not
off to the hottest of starts, I still believe in him, right, now,
but definitely some coaches talking about trying to get him
what they got to do for him, to get him
more involved in everything. So I'm going to set the
line here. Travis Hunter receptions this afternoon over under three

(01:59:37):
and a half.

Speaker 1 (01:59:39):
I'll go first on this one. This is easy, is it? Yeah? Okay,
I'm going under. All right, I'll go over. This is
easy because if you're the forty nine ers right now,
I'm looking at the Jaguars offense. Who am I taking
out of the offense? Travis Hunter? Yeah, but the Niners
are banged up on defense. No, he's struggling on team

(02:00:01):
that's struggling offensively. All right, those are fed picks. I
got an extra one if you want it. But otherwise, no, no,
if we disagree, only if we disagree, only if we disagree.
Said we're agreeing on the weak. No, we disagree with
both of these. So we're good. Yeah, we're gonna yeah,
all right, we'll see where we go on that, all right.
Couptol updates right now in games by the Panthers could
score down forty two to six, so it's not a

(02:00:23):
lost cause. The Lions are now blowing away Cleveland up
twenty seven to ten five and a half minutes ago,
they have a third and four at the Cleveland fourteen
yard line. The Falcons added the field goals, So the
Falcons in command with the ten point lead inside two
minutes to go in that game. But the game right
now we're watching is the Giants and the Chargers stuffed

(02:00:45):
and the Giants on a third and goal at the
one yard line gets stuffed and that is going to
be field goal time for the Giants. Uh, if they
get it, it would be a six point lead, still
six a half minutes to go. It's an eternity. The
play calling of the Giants in this game has been atrocious.

(02:01:06):
Are they gonna go for it?

Speaker 2 (02:01:07):
They don't have a choice. He's coaching for his job,
and he knows it.

Speaker 1 (02:01:11):
Well. If he's coaching for a job, how about calling
some offensive plays? It makes sense? All right? Here we are.
We're at the fourth and goal at the three yard
line of the Chargers. Giants lead this game by three.
Jackson Dart at quarterback, and he is going to look,
no one's opened. He's got to run. He's gotta run.
He's gonna scramble, all right, coming down the stretch. Couple

(02:01:32):
of games still very much undecided. This is End Zone Radio.
We're in the Fox Sports Radio studios. The show is
sponsored by DraftKings Sportsbook, an official sports betting partner of
the NFL. Right now, use the promo code Fox Game.
That's Fox Game to claim your special offer at DraftKings. DraftKings,
the crown is yours. Don't forget that promo code Fox Game.

(02:01:53):
All right. Two games that were really keeping an eye
on right now, and that would be the Giants and
the Chargers. As we are going to the top of
the hour, you probably missed what happened by passing. The
end zone was knocked down by the Chargers. Chargers took over.
Mario Hampton got a big run to get them out
of a hole. So the Chargers right now have the ball.

(02:02:16):
They are no, they just gave up the ball. They
just had to punt the ball back to the Giants.
So the Giants now have the ball with two point
fifty two to go, and the Giants, well, if they
can get a few first downs and keep the ball,
this game will be over.

Speaker 2 (02:02:32):
Which I also have four time outs because they have
three with the two minute warning. That's why you punt
in a way so that's smart.

Speaker 1 (02:02:37):
Yeah, that was a smart play. Smart. Yeah, but your
defense got to come up right now. All right. Meanwhile,
you heard that Baker Mayfield threw a pick in the
red zone, but the Buccaneers have gotten the ball back,
so plenty of time in this game. We got six
minutes to go, Steve in the fourth quarter with the
Eagles leading by eight.

Speaker 4 (02:02:56):
Do you remember what Jalen Hurts halftime stats were, yes,
fifteen to sixteen. Okay, hasn't completed a pass in the
second half.

Speaker 1 (02:03:03):
Wow, Yeah, which is the complete opposite of.

Speaker 4 (02:03:06):
Last How many attempts he's it at twenty four attempts now, but.

Speaker 1 (02:03:09):
He's over eight, So over eight and a second half
over eight. That's interesting. So that's completely opposite last week
that they got nothing going. By the way, the Bills
have put away the Saints, they just kicked a field goal.
They go up thirty one to nineteen two minutes to
go in that game. And by the way, quick note
Lion's blowing out the Browns thirty four to ten. And

(02:03:30):
next week the Browns obviously, Joe Flacco had a rough day,
couple of picks today, no offense for the Browns at all.
Their defense finally wore out. They did, throwing Dylan Gabriel
for a little garbage time play. Next week, the Browns
have the London game against Minnesota. Is that where you
want to make your debut for your rookie quarterback? Look, man,

(02:03:51):
you already know where I staying with this. This should
have been happened.

Speaker 2 (02:03:54):
Flacco can't muster no more than ten to thirteen points
a Sunday. People, Okay, let's stop playing around with this.
We're seeing it with Dylan Gabriel today. Put them out there,
guys like you have to this waiting when you're right,
or waiting when the time is correct, or waiting for
the right opponent. You're gonna mess around and get your
quarterback killed thinking like that, because what messager you send

(02:04:16):
into your team, What messager you send into your opponent
by saying, oh, yeah, we're gonna start the rookie against you,
because we don't think you're good enough to really do
anything winning. We think he'll be okay against you. You're
gonna put that kid out there and put him in
harm's way. But I just to answer your question, the
Flacco experiment is over. People should have never started. Just
like the Russell Wilson experiment should have never started. You

(02:04:39):
don't draft these guys and make them sick.

Speaker 1 (02:04:41):
You're gonna end up with the top picker, one of
the top picks in the draft. Is that kind of season? Offensively?
By the way, the Bucks on a fourth and one
barely got the first down, I mean barely got the
first down. There down eight thirty one to twenty three.
We're at three and a half minutes to go. Bucks
and Eagles both have their full a lotment of time
mounts left, so that's not a problem the clock. It's

(02:05:03):
just about the Buccaneers. They need a touchdown and a
two point conversion to tie up this game. All right?
It is third and five right now for the Giants.
The Giants play calling has been so bad in this game.
What is Brian Dable and is staff going to do?
On third and five from their own thirty one yard line.
The Chargers have used two of their timeouts. They still

(02:05:24):
have the two minute warning. But if they get to
stop here, what do you do?

Speaker 2 (02:05:28):
This is a bootleg or some type of running play.
This is not a drop back, I don't think because
punted away. Your defense has been playing fine, which, of
course this is what they do, drop.

Speaker 1 (02:05:36):
It back at wide open over the middle. Actually that's
so no, that was after Yeah, totally down. All right.
So the Giants get the first down now and they're
in pretty good shape. So the Chargers have one timeout
and they have the two point or a two minute warning,
uh so, or they call it a two minute timeout, right.

Speaker 2 (02:06:00):
College, they call it the two minute timeout. It's still
the two minute warning because they in football. You know
what I don't like about this as far as the
defense is concerned, Like Henley right there, this is you, bro,
You that's your tight end. You got to cover that guy.
And the simple fact that he doesn't. It's just kind
of a microcosm of what their day has been. Flying

(02:06:21):
back out to Met Life to play the Giants today,
but still a lot of football left and we'll see
how it goes. As we see Danny Dimes taking the
field for the Colts out here, beautiful so far in
Los Angeles and Englewood man here.

Speaker 1 (02:06:32):
Yeah, all right, So Colts Rams Jaguars forty nine ers,
those two games kicking off right now, coming up here
in about twenty minutes. Ravens, Chiefs Bears, Raiders. Broa, we've
got some good football today, all right, We're getting getting
into interesting time already, about a quarter of the way
through the season. The Buccaneers right now have a third
and six. We're at the two and a half minute

(02:06:53):
mark right now. Again they need a touchdown and a
two point conversion. Meanwhile, as far as the Giants and
the Chargers are concerned, the Giants are getting it done
if the Chargers lose this game. And by the way,
Omari and Hampton, the rookie twelve carries one hundred and

(02:07:14):
twenty eight yards of rushington day, but overall Herbert's numbers
thirty nine pass attempts, only twenty two completions, and only
one hundred and eighty one yards and two picks.

Speaker 2 (02:07:25):
It's a blit. It's a blipt game. The offensive line
is hurting right now like this. You lost your two
best linemen.

Speaker 1 (02:07:30):
Well and Joe All ain't coming back anytime soon with
now with a Hilspry now with a high and go Spran.
So no, it doesn't, it doesn't. This game means a
whole lot more to the Giants than it does the Chargers,
and I won't see any different the charges of Once again,
it's also flying back out east from the West Coast.
We've seen this happen before. I think the Chargers will

(02:07:50):
be fine all right. The Bucks are still alive. I
know because I see Monsey jumping up and down. She
has Baker Mayfield, although they just got penalized there on down.
We're at the two minute warning. False start for the Bucks,
but they are in right now. Eagles territory at the
thirty eight yard line. Might actually move it back five
yards to the forty three. It'll be first and fifteen

(02:08:13):
now at the two minute warning. So the Buccaneers who've
been down, they were down big in this game, right
off the top a block punt return for a touchdown
to start things off for the Eagles. But this has
been completely fripped. Whenber a week ago, the Eagles had
no offense in the first half against the Rams, exploding
the second half. It's been the total opposite today, where

(02:08:36):
they had all kinds of offense in the first half
and have gotten nothing done in the second half. Offensively,
doesn't matter, man, there's no stole points in the NFL.
There aren't. That doesn't matter. Like Jalen Hurts not completing
the pass in the second half, guess what, ladies and gentlemen,
boys and girls. If they win the game today, who cares?
Who cares?

Speaker 2 (02:08:53):
It'll be a footnote for people who want to not
Jalen hurts, it won't mean anything.

Speaker 1 (02:08:58):
Now if they lose the game, now you might have
got something.

Speaker 2 (02:09:01):
Then we got to go back and watch the second
half tape and figure out why wasn't he completed?

Speaker 1 (02:09:05):
Was he just off?

Speaker 2 (02:09:05):
Did some guys drop some balls that you know, some
balls get better, whatever the case may be. But if
they go in and win, this game does not matter,
no style points in the NFL. You think Buffalo cares
how they beat the oh the future almost seventeen Saints today,
you think they care?

Speaker 1 (02:09:18):
No, we got the dope. The Buccaneers have a unique situation,
so they come out of the two minute warning and
they still have all three of their time out, so
the Eagles. So the Bucks run the ball on first
and fifteen. They get three yards and then they take
a time out. This is the one thing. Daniel Jones,
by the way, trying to make a big play and
it's intercepted by the Rams. So the Rams get a

(02:09:41):
first turnover the game on a deep pass, almost like
a punt. Yeah, essentially intercepted. So you know, the Colts,
you almost feel like they're playing with house money right now.
The first giveaway. I mean, they're already sort of taking
command of that division early on. Right. You know, you're
on the road against the Rams. You're a underdog. Obviously,

(02:10:02):
you have nothing to lose. We'll see if we can
pull off some plays right now, and that's what they
try to do there. But deep pass was intercepted by
the Rams, all right, so we're checking again. The Giants
Chargers game is at the two minute warning, and the
Giants now have a second and five at their own
forty six yard line, and the Chargers are out of timeouts,

(02:10:27):
so they're gonna get the ball back though, well, unless
the Giants get a first down here.

Speaker 2 (02:10:31):
No, they're gonna stack up the line. They're gonna run
with skataboo. Are maybe a play action boot with Dart
and try to foold But at third and five, don't
play don't get cute.

Speaker 1 (02:10:39):
Well again, third and five you get a first down?
Games over? Yeah, true, first but this ball, right, so
what are you gonna do here? If you're Brian Dable,
Almost every call he has made has been the wrong
call seven and fourteen, third down twos average. You gotta
go for a first down here to end this game.
You can't give the ball back to Justin Herbert. They're
gonna run. I think I said.

Speaker 2 (02:11:00):
Down three, up three No either play action or just
giving it the scataboo, which they just turn and give
it on the charge of stuff it.

Speaker 1 (02:11:08):
They're absolutely stick. This is unbelievable. Of course, they're at midfield,
so they should be able to with a decent punt,
pin him back and again the Chargers would take over
with no timeouts, but again they only need a field
goal to tie it up. Clock is running, though there's
no way that the Chargers can stop the clock. It's

(02:11:28):
gonna be about thirty thirty seconds left when they get
the kick off.

Speaker 2 (02:11:34):
But they punt it. Yep, about thirty pun it. So
by time they receive it, I say twenty three I
say twenty three seconds.

Speaker 1 (02:11:41):
I've seen twenty far crazier things happen. Far crazy.

Speaker 2 (02:11:46):
Do is go after this punt, which it looks like
the Chargers wanted to.

Speaker 1 (02:11:50):
Giant. Yeah, he used to time out. Well that's okay.
They just ran the clock down to thirty so they're
taking the timeout and they're gonna set this punt up
special teams again. And oh Baker Mayfield gets absolutely destroyed
on a second and twelve at midfield and wow, all right,
that's gonna have a third and long. But this was

(02:12:13):
an all out blitz by the Eagles. And oh man,
he took a hit. Yeah, that's a large man hitting
him in his face right there, man, Yeah, right that
there are man, Right, that's a little bit scary. Can
you imagine just standing there and you have nowhere to go?

Speaker 2 (02:12:29):
Well, you don't nowhere to The eyes are down the field,
and when it finally gets up on.

Speaker 1 (02:12:33):
You, then it's like, you know, WTF. All right, So
here's the thing. Buccaneers still have two timeouts, third and
twenty three. You don't have to get it all here.
It's two down territory, right, You got to get ten
twelve yards give yourself a chance, you know. But you
don't want to set up fourth and twenty three, you
get it. You want to get about ten yards here
because you can throw the ball middle of the field.

(02:12:54):
The whole field's available with the two timeouts. So the
Buccaneers trying to stay alive in this game. Meanwhile, We've
got the Chargers receiving the punt and we're down to
eighteen seconds left, and they got a long way to go,
but again only trying to get into field goal position.
A couple of big plays, and they have one of
the better kickers in the league. Dicker is a kicker.

(02:13:17):
You have three plays that's not gonna give an eighteen right,
third and twenty three midfield for the Buccaneers. Again, a
little swing pass and again they can go middle of
the field. Smart play. They get down to the thirty
seven yard line and it's gonna be fourth and about nine.
I'm gonna guess somewhere around there they are able to
stop the clock. They're not gonna stop the clock. Fourth

(02:13:39):
and ten officially for the Buccaneers right now is they
are down to the thirty nine yard line. Thirty seven
yard line of the Eagles. Fourth and nine is actually
the call, So minute fourteen they're still running clock. It's
interesting here they have a call of timeouts. I'm sorry,
Johnston justing justse he's wide O sorry. Herbert has him

(02:14:01):
in the middle of the field for about a twenty
five to thirty yard game and he dropped it. He
jumps up and goes right through his hands and drops
it on first down and me once Buccaneers are done,
they try to pass over the middle incomplete four it
down play and the Eagles will win this game by
score of thirty one to twenty three. All right, focusing

(02:14:21):
in thirteen seconds left here for the Chargers down three,
and Brian Dabele doesn't know what to do, so he says,
can I call it timeout? Why are you calling time out?

Speaker 9 (02:14:32):
Time out?

Speaker 1 (02:14:33):
You call it time out? Guess what the Chargers here?
A timeout is what you're doing. Oh, I gets Seriously,
Brian Dable, get off the field. He's our first coach fired, right,
and he has Yeah. I think we all said it.
I mean Jim Harbaugh is like he's actually looking at
Dable like, are you actually giving us a timeout so
we can set up a play here? Yeah, because that's

(02:14:53):
exactly what you're doing.

Speaker 2 (02:14:54):
That that's just bad coaching. And once again, Clinton Johnson,
I know you, I know there were people that were
kind of feeling him, and I've been I've been calling him.

Speaker 1 (02:15:02):
Drop He's touchdown in the game. Yeah, but seven catches
for seventy six yards.

Speaker 2 (02:15:07):
He still drops too many passes for my liking I'm
tough on receiver, Steve. I'm tough on receivers. I touched it.
I never drop a ball. I coached the position in
high school. Man, I'm tough on because your number one
job when the ball is coming to you is to
catch it, and when you drop it, you lose it

(02:15:29):
down all right.

Speaker 1 (02:15:30):
So the Chargers right now they're at their own fifteen
yard line. Obviously Herbert's got to throw it way downfield.
If the ball is he's tackled, that's a clock and
that's a three to one. That's a game overts. So
the Giants beat the Chargers thirty one to twenty eight.
The game is over. There was no way for the
Chargers to stop the clock, and the Giants get their

(02:15:51):
first win of the year and the Chargers take their
first loss of the year. So the Chargers are rased
from the ranks of the unbeat. Why are they showing him?
Why are they showing Russell Wilson out on the field
shaking hands with people out there? Give me a break.
He is a team guy, guys. It's all about the team.

Speaker 2 (02:16:12):
Yeah, you saw that quick exchange between Is thereine in
the NFL?

Speaker 4 (02:16:15):
That's less about the team than Russell Wilson.

Speaker 1 (02:16:17):
He is all about teams. He's not team Russell Wilson.
He's a team guy, guys, team Russell Wilson. Do you
believe that Russell Wilson has erased at chances of the
Hall of Fame with what happened last year? Ever thought
he was a Hall of Famer? Yes? Yes, thank you,
thank you. I never thought he was. How is he
hall of Famer? He has more Pro Bowls? He has

(02:16:39):
than Manning. He's been in two Super bowl won a
Super Bowls, won two Super bowl Jim Plunkert won two
Super Bowls.

Speaker 2 (02:16:47):
Eli has more passing yards, has more touchdowns, like, come on,
come on.

Speaker 1 (02:16:51):
Over career, he doesn't have a better passer ratings, not
even passer rating. Don't get you to the Hall.

Speaker 5 (02:16:56):
I think it's a the valic question you ask it
was Russell Wilson five at his position over the course
of five years?

Speaker 1 (02:17:04):
Was Eli Manning ever in the top five for a
single season? No, but his last name's Manning, and he's
got two super Bowl rings. That matters? Oh? Please, come on.
The Giants won those super Bowls and you know that,
and yeah, well then then the Rams one Kurt Warner
there and the Rams won. Kurt Warners. Okay, well yeah,
Kurt Warner, Kurt Warner. Why do you keep saying Kurt Warner.
It's a lame argument when you're talking about a guy that,

(02:17:27):
through the first fifty Super Bowls had the three highest
passing yardage totals in Super Bowl history.

Speaker 2 (02:17:32):
So through two picks sixes and two of his Super
Bowl loss they cost his team the game.

Speaker 1 (02:17:35):
Oh, come on on the high law and another one
and one. And by the way, he also won two
regular Season MVP Awards. All right, so he's got that
on his resume as well. That's why I just.

Speaker 2 (02:17:46):
Don't think he should have. He should not be in
Hall of Fame. Maybe laid the Kurt Warner should you be?

Speaker 1 (02:17:52):
I will say this, Can you write the history of
the NFL without Kurt Warner? Yeah, no, you can't. It
is the greatest Cinderella's story in the history of the
n NFL. Barn on three years of arena football, undrafted
and you become a Super Bowl champion. It is the
greatest Cinderella story in the history of the NFL. But
by fault, that doesn't mean you should get a gold jacket.

(02:18:14):
All right, we're going to continue on here with the
games as the mornings are done, and now we keep
our sights on the afternoon games. This is End Zone Radio.
Jered takes this now, quick hitter rights out, got to complete.
That is onmon Rod trying to get to the edge.
He will touchdown. Detroit Lions just out ran that defense to.

Speaker 14 (02:18:32):
The right side that time, and the Lions.

Speaker 1 (02:18:34):
Extend their leads. That's ninety seven to one the Tickets
Lions Radio Network. Lions and A blowing out the Cleveland
Browns today by a score of thirty four to ten
to move to three and one on the season. Once again,
this is End Zone Radio. We're in the Fox Sports
Radio studios and this show is sponsored by DraftKings Sportsbook,

(02:18:57):
an official sports betting partner of the NFL. Right now,
I'll use the promo code Fox Game. That's Fox Game
to claim your special offer DraftKings, DraftKings, the Crown is yours.
Don't forget. That's promo code Fox Game. Once again, VJ.
And but by the way, he is a battler on
these picks. Okay, he is a battler. Doesn't mean everything's

(02:19:17):
gonna go your way, but he is going to battle
to the bitter end. So do you have another DraftKings
pick for Yeah, dude, man reluctantly.

Speaker 2 (02:19:25):
Tomorrow night, my Dolphins and the Jets are probably along
with the Saints, you know, battle of the worst teams
in the league. And I want to take the Dolphins
with this two and a half because I don't want
to be out on my team so early. I think
whoever loses tomorrow night, season's over. But Miami is one
and eleven against the spread in the last twelve games

(02:19:46):
they've played in Week four.

Speaker 1 (02:19:48):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (02:19:48):
Well their favorite two and a half tomorrow and it's
Week four and they're won in fourteen straight up in
their last fifteen.

Speaker 1 (02:19:56):
Games played in Week four. Wow. So it just it
just doesn't feel right.

Speaker 2 (02:20:02):
But on the flip side, the Jets are one and
eleven straight up in our last twelve games when playing
as the underdog. So something's got to give here tomorrow night,
and I'll take just one more less stab at supporting
my Dolphins and telling you take the Dolphins in the
points tomorrow to cover two and a half for the Dolphins.

(02:20:24):
And we already had to turnover discussion and the perfect picks.

Speaker 1 (02:20:27):
But I if it was at New York.

Speaker 2 (02:20:30):
I would really be scared for Miami winners game, think
at home on national TV. You know, depend up, who's
gonna play quarterback for the Jets tomorrow? Go ahead and
give me the give me the Dolphins. Here the over
under on this game, as I said at forty four
and a half, I would take the over on that.

Speaker 1 (02:20:48):
Take the Yeah, I'll take the over one of forty
four and a half because both these defenses are probably
gonna play Mattimore. I like the fact that you're qualifying
this pick and being honest. It's a home fan pick,
all right, That's all I'm saying. Well, no, I mean Centisenors.
I just said, I just get just if you will
answer all these reasons not to take the Dolphins. But
what was that stat again? You said about Week four

(02:21:11):
one in thirteen, one and four.

Speaker 2 (02:21:13):
They are one in fourteen straight up in their last
fifteen games played in Week four.

Speaker 1 (02:21:18):
That is an insane statue.

Speaker 2 (02:21:20):
You're ignoring that stat because the Jets are eleven one
and eleven straight up in their last twelve games. Went
playing as the underdog, right, So something's got to give.
So I'll go with the home team.

Speaker 1 (02:21:31):
I know dj is sitting there and he sees that
stat about his Dolphins, like, oh man, I got to
give me a stat that can counter that. I'll give
you another one. In the last twenty five games in September.

Speaker 2 (02:21:45):
In September, in the last twenty five games for the Jets,
straight up four and twenty one.

Speaker 1 (02:21:51):
How about this? Since nineteen seventy the Jets have sucked?
How about that? Ever since Joe name has got hurt?
All the nineteen seven Dolphin the covered all right. So
when we look at undefeated teams, the Bills are still undefeated,
the Saints are still winless, the Chargers are no longer undefeated,
the Giants are no longer winless. So you have the

(02:22:13):
Eagles at four and oh and you got the Bills
at four and o. And that is not a surprise.
Those are my two teams to make it into the
Super Bowl this year. So yeah, the undefeated team ranks
are dwindling quickly right now. The one team that's still
undefeated is the forty nine Ers. By the way, I

(02:22:34):
mean it could it could go to four and oh today,
and could go to four and oh today again hosting
the Jaguars again. Feel like the Chiefs last year, right,
last year? You your thing was the had to be
like the worst eight and oh the worst nine and
oh the worst they were. All right, you know it
finally blew up on them in the Super Bowl. Yeah,

(02:22:56):
I know. But how funny is that to say a
finally caught up to him the Super Bowl Sunday? Well,
every week I said they were and then they finally
proved it in the Super Bowl. All right, let's find
out what is a trending right now? So now that
the dust settled on Baker Mayfield caught you washed it down?

(02:23:16):
Did it work out for you? Not work out for you?
Where are you? I don't Yeah, here you can hear it?

Speaker 10 (02:23:25):
Okay, okay, sorry, I mean he was fine.

Speaker 9 (02:23:30):
He was fine.

Speaker 10 (02:23:32):
So he have him in my guillotine league, which is
important because I just can't be the lowest scoring team.

Speaker 9 (02:23:38):
And he was asked in the first half, so like
he you know, picked it up. So that's I'm good.
I'm good.

Speaker 10 (02:23:45):
Obviously, Tampa Bay still lost, not that I care about that.
So Eagles improved to four and no, handing the Buccaneers
their first loss of the season, thirty one to twenty
five's The final score Jalen Hurts was the.

Speaker 9 (02:23:56):
Leading rusher for the Eagles today.

Speaker 10 (02:23:59):
Now Saquon bark We did get a touchdown, but Jalen
Hurts was a leading rusher with sixty two yards on
the ground. He was fifteen of twenty four one hundred
and thirty yards and two touchdowns. Baker Mayfield twenty two
of forty two hundred and eighty nine yards, two touchdowns,
one interception that came in the red zone.

Speaker 9 (02:24:13):
No bleno there.

Speaker 10 (02:24:13):
Bucky Irving fifteen carries sixty three yards plus five catches
for one hundred and two yards and one touchdown. The
Bill say undefeated. They beat the Saints thirty one to nineteen.
Josh Allen sixteen of twenty two two hundred and nine yards,
two touchdowns, one interception, plus seven carries for forty five
yards and a touchdown. That interception that Josh Allen threesday
was the first turnover of the Bill's season so far.

Speaker 9 (02:24:36):
Giants got their first one of the season.

Speaker 10 (02:24:37):
I want to talk about that, but they beat the
Chargers twenty one to eighteen. LA lost Joe alto a
high ankle spring in the first half. New York lost
wide receiver Elage neighbors on a non contact injury.

Speaker 9 (02:24:47):
They believe he tore his ACL.

Speaker 10 (02:24:49):
As a report from the NFL Network, Jackson Dart in
his debut as a starter, thirteen of twenty one hundred
and eleven yards on a touchdown plus ten carries for
fifty four yards and a touchdown. The Lions Crews passed
the Browns thirty four to ten, so Detroit improves to
three and one. Falcons outscored the Commander Is thirty four
to seventeen. Patriots crushed the Panthers forty two to thirteen,

(02:25:09):
and the Texans got their first win of the season
as they shut out the Titans twenty six zero.

Speaker 9 (02:25:15):
Tennessee falls two zero and four.

Speaker 10 (02:25:17):
NFL started today in Dublin as the Steelers pulled off
the upset. They defeated the Vikings twenty four to twenty won,
so Pittsburgh is now three and one games going on
right now, Colts and Rams are tied at three apiece
late in the first quarter, forty nine Ers over the
Jags three zero, also late in the first while the
Bears and Raiders, Ravens and Chiefs they are still early
in the first quarter scoreless, but the Ravens are in

(02:25:39):
the red zone, knocking on the door to score. Let's
check in on the WNBA semi final game. It is winner,
go home for the Fever because it's best of five
series and Las Vegas is up two to one.

Speaker 9 (02:25:52):
Right now, the Fever.

Speaker 10 (02:25:53):
Are up sixty three to sixty two with about ninety
seconds to go in the third quarter. When it comes
to base ball, all right, if the Reds win, they're in.

Speaker 9 (02:26:02):
Right now, the Brewers have taking the lead from the Reds,
So Brewers are up three to two top of the
fifth inning.

Speaker 10 (02:26:07):
But if the Reds lose and the Mets lose, the
Reds are still in and the Mets are losing to
the Marlins for zero top of the fifth inning.

Speaker 1 (02:26:15):
I know the marl beats good teams, by the way.

Speaker 9 (02:26:20):
Good team race three days ago it was, by the way, if.

Speaker 1 (02:26:24):
You're the Dodgers, you want to play the Mets? Do
you understand since mid June the Mets have like one
of the three worst records in all of baseball.

Speaker 9 (02:26:33):
I don't know if I feel that way.

Speaker 1 (02:26:35):
Oh, yes you do. Why would you want to play
the Reds are hot?

Speaker 10 (02:26:40):
Because I think they are hot, But I think there's
history with the Mets.

Speaker 9 (02:26:44):
That complicates things.

Speaker 1 (02:26:45):
No, there's no the best the best record in baseball
in June twenty third. Since then, they're like with the
Rockies and the White Sox.

Speaker 4 (02:26:52):
Yeah, but don't have.

Speaker 9 (02:26:54):
One so exactly like I get, I mean.

Speaker 4 (02:26:57):
The team that doesn't have one.

Speaker 9 (02:27:00):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 10 (02:27:01):
Listen, Ali Dela Cruz is great, but he's not Juan
so and so I agree.

Speaker 9 (02:27:04):
I don't know, I feel really much.

Speaker 1 (02:27:06):
Shouldn't matter anyway. And by the way, if the Dodgers
announced that show hey o Tani should start game one,
they have not. They did announce that the Dodgers I
would start Tawny game one, Snell, Game two, have Yamamoto
and game three if necessary. If they don't need a
game three, then he's ready for Game one of the
Division series. That's how I would do it.

Speaker 4 (02:27:24):
Haven't you imagine a Wildcard series where Yamamoto doesn't pitch. No,
that would be a disaster.

Speaker 1 (02:27:30):
And I've been telling you guys, especially months all year long,
I have gotten no panic in the Dodgers. You guys
are going to the NLCS. They have the best starting
pitching in baseball right now. What happens there?

Speaker 2 (02:27:41):
But I am not concerned about any of these other
teams early playing the Dodgers.

Speaker 1 (02:27:46):
They'll beat the Mets. They'll beat the Red Scotts all right.
By the way, Uh, great job. I got you guys,
all right, all night. He got you, I hope. So
how this Lamar Jackson to start the game five and
five fIF yards touchdown pass. I mean he's only playing
perfect football. I mean it's unbelievable the numbers he's put

(02:28:06):
up so far this year. The Ravens with that seven
nothing lead over the Chiefs. By the way, this is
End Zone Radio, Hartman and Husky with you Fox Sports
Radio Studios. Right after the show, the podcast is going up,
So if you miss any of today's show, check out

(02:28:28):
get your podcasts to see today's show posted right after
we get off the air. So forty nine ers up
three to nothing now the Ravens. It didn't take long,
seven nothing boom, just like that opening drive against the Chiefs.
We'll see if the Chiefs can answer Bears and Raiders
and Gino Smith through an ugly interception, I mean ugly. Also,
the thing about the Raiders right now, VJ is a

(02:28:50):
lot of people are seeing Genti bust and I'm like,
have you seen the you know what he has? He
has one hundred and forty six yards rushing in the
first three games after being hit. Yeah, he has no holes,
I mean nothing. You've got to give the guy a sliver.
I mean even though he's a shorter I wouldn't say small,

(02:29:11):
like shorter running back. There are in a lot of
short running backs, so they had great careers, but you
still got a block. And he's had absolutely nowhere to
run early on for the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (02:29:24):
Earlier this summer, I told you the one thing I
was not gonna get caught up in this year is
a name, because we do that like, oh they look
who they wait picked up, and it's normally someone older,
someone that's done put the name and the memories and
the nostalgia that we try to carry with a lot
of players in all sports. We do this across the board.
Alhar for today, right Montie announces he signed multi multi

(02:29:47):
year deal and the name sounds great, but isn't sustainable
for eighty two get we'll find out keeps itself in
great shape. Could I argue that we might have done
the same thing with Pete Carroll? Could I just argue
that absolutely?

Speaker 1 (02:30:02):
Because absolutely I have both excited about it. We were
high up on it. My wife is homewide. You know
what I right now? The hiring of Chip Kelly is offensive? Right?
Was that? Well? I mean, the last time we saw
Chip Kelly in the NFL was for a two and
fourteen forty nine er one and done season. That's the
last time we saw Chip Kelly in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (02:30:24):
Well, the last time we also saw him in a
big time college setting. Michigan was holding his offense and
the defensive coordinator for the Charges right now was holding
his office to ten points like Kelly.

Speaker 1 (02:30:35):
Remember when Chip Kelly took over as the head coach
of the Eagles after his Oregon days, and he was
the hot ticket, right They're running that high speed off
Nick Foles. You remember, I was putting out these insane
numbers and that ended quickly, and then he had the
disastrous one and done with the forty nine ers and
that was it. Bye by NFL, never to return him.

(02:30:57):
For Pete Carroll, all people to hire is your offensive
coordinator Jeff Kellen. By the way, the Jags are in
the end zone right now to take the lead on
the road against the fort A RS Travis etn to
the Races sixty three waiting on the extra point. Jags
take the lead. Started the second quarter there, But I

(02:31:19):
mean I'm there, I think I'm there, and I know
it's early.

Speaker 2 (02:31:23):
Put some of these teams you can tell, like we
already mentioned Dolphins, Jets loser tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (02:31:28):
Seasons over people like it just is what it is.

Speaker 2 (02:31:30):
You could be a fan. You can still watch seasons.
Oh this this Raider. They lose this game today at
home to the Bears.

Speaker 1 (02:31:38):
You have to start to kind of look and go, wow,
it would.

Speaker 2 (02:31:41):
Really over sell the name of Pete Carroll, in the
name of Geno Smith.

Speaker 1 (02:31:48):
And but the product on the field.

Speaker 2 (02:31:50):
You got a rookie quarterback, I mean running back that's
already complaining about not getting touches And why wouldn't you
give the fifth overall pick. Remember when Dallas got Ezekiel
Elliott coming out of Ohio State taking fifth over did
you see him complaining about getting touches early in his career?

Speaker 1 (02:32:03):
No, they were feeding that guy. I felt again based
on name, right, Raiders, major upgraded coach, major upgraded quarterback,
you get the top running back in the draft.

Speaker 2 (02:32:16):
Yeah, but again, Tom Brady's in the front office like
all names right.

Speaker 1 (02:32:21):
By the way, the Bears, don't forget they blew out
the Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (02:32:24):
A Cowboys defense. Well, we're gonna find out this evening.
We're gonna find it because Jordan.

Speaker 1 (02:32:28):
Love you Johnson after that game, man, he was I
hyped out of this. Yeah. No, the Bears seem to
be rallying around their young coach, like or Dallas's defense
is just that bad because we didn't watch that Bears
offense do that against nobody else. Maybe that do.

Speaker 2 (02:32:44):
Like I said, we're going to find out later. And
that's what's so great about the NFL. And you and
I both joke do a commercial basin every time you
think all of us in here, we don't think we
know what we're talking, we don't think we got it
figured out.

Speaker 1 (02:32:56):
And then you wake up on the next Sunday morning
and you come to do the show.

Speaker 2 (02:32:59):
And you figure out, we don't know nothing because we're
not in control right now, you know, Bears right now
up three to nothing at the Raiders Raiders getting the
ball back here, but like right there on that on
that return, there's five white jerseys downfield.

Speaker 1 (02:33:13):
There's no black jerseys blocking for the guy. All right,
Colts Rams a minute to go in the first quarter.
Three three interesting numbers right now. Jonathan Taylor to carries
six yards, So so far the Rams have shut down
the Colts running attack. Hyron Williams, by the way, five
carries for forty yards already, so the Rams have been
more effective running the ball. Passing game is about even.

(02:33:37):
Stafford hasn't done much as thirty nine yards passing. Daniels
had the one pick, but that was like a deep throw,
that was like a punt, so that wasn't much of races.
It's still though they were trying to get a home
run ball. So the end of the first quarter of
their three to three, this is gonna be the big
wake up call. We talked about the unbeatens going down.
The only two that survived so far are the Bills

(02:33:59):
and the Eagles. Will the Colts survive they're undefeated start,
We're going to find out much more coming up here
on End Zone Radio.

Speaker 15 (02:34:07):
It's Justice Hill in the backfield. Lamar Others said he bunches,
three receivers tight to the right side of the lawn
or man fought to the chiefs lamar off the play
faith Well inside passed.

Speaker 1 (02:34:17):
Heill has a piece of the five. Steve fark to
bad touchdown, justice kill, and the Ravens strike first in
Week four. That's ninety eight Rock Ravens the Radio network
Ravens with the early seven to a. Theeen League Chiefs
have countered with a field goal, So seven to three
Ravens over the Chiefs right now. Huge game for two
teams that are certainly on the short list of Super

(02:34:40):
Bowl favorites. Both enter with a record of one and two,
and the Chiefs, you know, finally snapped a three game
losing streak, remember, dating back to their Super Bowl loss.
Was the first three game losing streak since Patrick Mahomes
took over at quarterback. Okay, once again, we're here in
the Fox Sports Radio studios, sponsor by DraftKings sportsbook and

(02:35:02):
official sports betting partner of the NFL. Right now, use
the promo code Fox Game. That's Fox Game to claim
your special offer at Draftkins. DraftKings, the Crown is yours.
Don't forget that's promo code Fox Game one more time,
BJ give us a DraftKings pick. I don't know, man,
I'm feeling kind of bad.

Speaker 2 (02:35:20):
I was just sitting here going through my picks that
you're doing a break and I didn't have a good day.

Speaker 1 (02:35:23):
Man.

Speaker 2 (02:35:23):
I've had a great start to the season, but today
was just all over the place. All if I will
do that, dude, listen, I'd see the Broncos sitting at
seven and a half tomorrow night. But this over under
forty four and a half scares me, right.

Speaker 1 (02:35:38):
Like, what is Vegas? No? No Joe Burrow, No Joe Burrow.
The Bronco should walk through this, right, But seven and
a half just kind of scares me.

Speaker 2 (02:35:50):
And then I look in I see the the Broncos
in their last eleven or ten and one straight up
when they're playing as the favorite. Now that's just straight
up now, if you want them to cover this thing
against the spread, I would I be remiss to say
I would probably grab the Bengals to cover these points.
I don't know why, guys, I just don't feel comfortable
with the Broncos blowing teams out. I would take the

(02:36:10):
under on the forty four and a half also here
tomorrow that's that's the best I could do. Man, My
Raiders right now, the Raiders are hurting me. My pigs
hurting me. I got the Ravens. Maybe maybe the Ravens
will helped me out a little bit.

Speaker 1 (02:36:23):
But yeah, I take the Bengals tomorrow night with the
seven and a half. If it was six and a half,
five and a half, all right, fine, give me the Broncos.
But that's seven and a half. And I mean, have
you seen anything from the Broncos that makes you know
that Broncos look at it? You know, I'm all in
on the Broncos, all in on the Bronx in ANFC
championship game, I do. I have them winning the West,

(02:36:43):
getting to the AFC Championship game against the Bills. And yes,
they have underperformed so far this season. Again, I'm gonna
get back to second year quarterbacks. That's what bo Nicks is.
And so you feel like there's momentum going into year
two that these defensive co ordinators around the league are
pretty smart. They will find weaknesses in your game. Then

(02:37:04):
it's up to you to counter that. That's where it
comes in. That's where we then find out the legit
quarterbacks out there by the way, I want to thank
our crew today. Moncy of course, brilliant as always. How
she's able to do the updates while monitoring five fantasy
football team simultaneously. Yeah, it's a skill is absolutely mind

(02:37:25):
blowing as he does that.

Speaker 9 (02:37:27):
How I don't blow my brains out.

Speaker 1 (02:37:31):
The real everyone that's listening out there, they're NFL junkie.
They understand that it's way too much info going on
all the same time. Chris, Obviously, it was great to
have you back here. Chris. Yes, I take it you're
going to be here the rest of the season. You
know what, there might I might have to go back
to an island at some point. Are you kidding? You're

(02:37:52):
addicted to that island? I'm sorry, addicted to You're addicted
to bison, is what you are. I like the bison
out there too, but also I have a beach on
top of it. Like it's like peanut butter and jelly. Why,
what's wrong with that? What's wrong with it? Strawberry? Is it?
And of course our brilliant producer is bo who sitting
pretty it's interested that bow. He is. He is a

(02:38:13):
diehard Eagles fan, but he's also like a Rams fan. Okay,
at the same time, I don't know what what Bo
is a fan of. Some days I don't know. Thank
god he's only Bo. I will ask you this question
now that the season is over regular season in baseball,
your Dodgers. I did a commentary on it last night,

(02:38:34):
reminding everyone that despite the fact that it's been a
very uneven season for the Dodgers, they are still the
champs to be beat. Uh And if that starting pitching
can hold together, it won't matter about their bullpen. That's
the key. Yes, got to get innings. By the way,
last year, want to hear answer, Last year, Dodgers starters

(02:38:55):
in the postseason averaged four little over four innings per start.
No team had ever won a World Series with their
starting pitching averaging that few innings per start. Ever, who's
beating them, guys, I hear all of this, That's what
I say. Who's beating them? Though there's no great team
in there, there's no there's no team in the NL.

(02:39:15):
That's just scare a Dodger fair.

Speaker 2 (02:39:17):
I've been, like I said, Monty and I we've been
talking about this since like June July. I just feel
like when the chips come down man and the chips
on the table, and everybody's got to fold their cars.
There's no more cars you can pull. You gotta push
all your chips to the middle table. I'll take the
team that's been there. I'll take the team that's done
it and has probably the greatest baseball player on the
planet right now.

Speaker 1 (02:39:38):
I hear what you're.

Speaker 2 (02:39:38):
Saying about Judge Monts. But look, listen, man with show hey,
And it took me a while to get there. Man,
what this dude does, What this dude is doing? Like
I've we've never I've never seen this here.

Speaker 1 (02:39:48):
The Phillies, I'm almost care of me. I mean, their
ace is out and so you gotta take an account.
But since the All Star Break, Dodger starters have been here,
and the Phillies are gonna win it all for the
last five or not, gonna have we not been here
in the Phillies are going to win? Give me the Phillies,
but no name maybe question. Okay, well I'll believe when

(02:40:09):
I see it. Brewers, Okay, Brewers are well. The Brewers
are like the Blue Jays. In other words, we're seeing
them all season long, either at the top or near
the top. As far as records concerned, the question is
can they get across the finish line. We'll see. I
love the baseball playoffs, by the way, quick staff for
you right now in the Jaguars forty nine ers, Jaguars

(02:40:31):
leading this game seven to three. Right now, they have
the ball deep in their own territory. But what is
interesting here, and that was a beautiful throw, Lawrence. Is
that hunter there? It is? I was gonna say, because
he had yet to be targeted in this entire game.
Look at this catch. Why are you not throwing the

(02:40:52):
ball to this guy? I told you, guys, give me
the four catches. That are you kidding me? Two screens?
Is it?

Speaker 2 (02:40:57):
If they throw two screens to them? Guys, there's two receptions.
Like they're gonna go. They're gonna get quick screens to
him in the quick slant. I got him at five,
I got him at five or six catches to day,
I just I think I'll hit the overall.

Speaker 1 (02:41:08):
Well, they got to throw him the ball again. You
can't catch the ball unless you're targeted. And that is
what the Jaguars have got to figure out. You've spent
a lot to get this kid, the special talent on
your team. Use him crazy. Hey, Dan Byron, carry Rhoads
are on deck. They're gonna take you the rest of

(02:41:29):
the way, the rest of the NFL Sunday. This is
end Zone Radio.
