Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Radio, living the dream once again here on a fully
loaded sports Saturday. This is Fox Football Saturday, and we
are broadcasting live from the ti iraq dot com studios
ti raq dot com. We're gonna help get you there
and on Matt's selection fasts, free shipping, free road ads,
a protection over ten thousand recommended installers ti iraq dot com,

(00:24):
the way tire buying should be well. Our focus is
on football. Potentially could have had Game seven of the
World Series tonight, but that will not happen because the
Dodgers wrapped it up in a big way on Wednesday.
And guess who was at the parade yesterday? No surprise,
of course, our own Moncy Belanos was there for the

(00:48):
big prade. Were you at the stadium or were at
the parade? No?

Speaker 3 (00:51):
I went to the parade.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
You know.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
I wanted to see what it was like. You know,
I didn't go to the Laker parades. My Clippers don't
even sniffa parade. So I wanted to see what it
would be like, knowing it would be chaos and madness, right,
and so what we did, I was like, don't I
don't know what the right thing to do for this
parade is. But me and a couple of friends, one

(01:14):
of my coworkers from the Dodgers, we're like, let's just
go to the.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Parade and try it out.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
So we went to La Live and we parked near
La Live and then started walking towards the streets where
it was going to end. And we got to the
end and it was gridlocked with people, like you couldn't
you couldn't get closer.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
And for a second I was like, man, and we didn't.
We didn't try to get there super early.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
In fact, my friend Hey John Hey, shout out to you.
His father showed up at eight am and he was
right in the front over Vice City Hall, like he
he was there at eight am. We did not get
there that early. We knew would be madness. But we
got there and then we just kind of started walking
trying to find a different place to go because at
the end, again gridlocked with people, and I'm a very
small person.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
I can't see anything. So we tried to move.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
We end up in a spot where we can see
the like just got lucky. We went through some buildings,
ended up somewhere and we're like, I don't know but
it's gonna come this way. I actually have video of
kik shirt lists just parting it up. Like we got
in a lucky spot. I feel like just because we
didn't stop where we first got you know, like I'm
telling you, the end of the parade was gridlocked.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
You could not see anything.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Luckily, we were like, you know what, we have some
time before it starts, Let's go walk around. We did
some walking and we ended up again. We went through
like a building, ended up across the street, ended up
somewhere on Grand but above. It was very weird, But
through a building is how we got there.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Well, my experience with parades usually is covering parades right,
And there's a lot of difference between covering a parade.
You know, a lot of people obviously listen and say
why you guys are the luckiest people in the world
because you know you get to cover these events, and.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
Believe me, I will not deny that.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
I mean I have been in person at events that
if I was not a member of media, I would
never have had a chance to be there. In my
I was on the field when Vince Young ran into
the end zone to be usc at the roads. I
mean I could go down a list, But covering parades
is hard work.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
It's what's not just it's a night it is.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
It is because because, like you said, if you're there
as a fan and you're going to put up with
all the bs in terms of where you're gonna park
and where you're gonna stand and all that, you're still
there as a fan. There's a reason that you're there.
But when you're covering an event like this, you have
to go through the same ordeal that everyone else has
to go through, and there isn't necessarily a payoff because

(03:36):
even though it's funny because people people assume that if
you work in a city, you're a fan of that team. Well,
and the reality is there's a lot of transplants, especially
in Los Angeles, so you have it's not uncommon for
New York people to be working in LA who are
die hard Yankee fans.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
And then they're forced to go out in the field.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I'll put on Dodger gear earth you know, like, yeah, Dodgers,
when you know they're like, that was my worst nightmare.
A fifth inning alone. I will have nightmares of that
fifth inning of Game five for the rest of my life.
So for the fans out there. I'm sure any fan
listening out there that's ever been to a parade of

(04:20):
their favorite team winning a championship, it's something you will
never forget.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Yeah, no, I'm really glad I went and listen.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
At the end, it got a little bit scary in
the sense of the amount of people that were congested
where I was trying to get out.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Well, it is a little bit uncomfortable because well it look,
I mean, the areas are like forty deep of fans
and if you're in that mess. I did this one year.
I had a friend of mine got me VIP passes
for the Rose Parade. I had never actually been on
Colorado in the Pasadena area where the Rose Parade goes down,

(04:57):
and I not only had seats, I was front row
and I had a VIP passion. He was working with
NBC at the time. My kids are small, Okay, they
were tiny. They were I think my daughter was two
years old, two and a half years old, so I like,
you know, a two year old to five year old
and a seven year old at that time. So it
seemed like a great deal. Yeah right, yeah, phenomena. We

(05:18):
got their early VIP parking. I mean it was like wow,
I mean larger than life. Imagine for our kids, right,
and then the parade ends and that VIP parking that
I had coming in was the worst possible parking spot. Leaving,
we ended up like one way to like east, I

(05:39):
need to go west. I could not turn around. I'm thinking,
am I gonna have to U turn in Vegas? How
when am I going to be able to turn around
and actually go to the drake? Took seven hours to
get home.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
So when we parked at La Live that was my suggestion,
not knowing anything, and as we started walking, I was like,
I'm sorry, guys.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
There's all these other closer parking lots.

Speaker 6 (05:58):
My bad.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
I really didn't know. Oh those closes are parking lots.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
You couldn't get out right.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
People were just on the streets just blocking at this point.
So us parking away by La lef which was about
a mile of a walk essentially was the best decisions
so well, because we were already out of it by
the time we got to the car and then there
was no issues. But yeah, at the end, the amount
of people where we were, I think we were just
funneled into something like we were being told where to
go and again, I'm.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Not very tall, so I can't see anything.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
So it gets a little bit uncomfortable when you're just
like hoping that there was no room for me to
take a step to the left or a step to
the right. I had to just stay and move with
the crowd. So for like twenty minutes it was a
bit uncomfortable. But then finally you go out to like
open area and it's like all free, and.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
I just was like, nobody went to work in La today.
Nobody went to work.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
I didn't go to work, I know I didn't, but
nobody else went to work, and those who were trying
to get to work.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Didn't get to work either. Nobody went to work in.

Speaker 5 (06:51):
LA I just think that every day.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
Yeah, that's so true.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
There's so much traffic, right, does anybody go to actual
work anymore? Absolutely? Mind boggling. Well, obviously a great win
for the Dodgers. The baseball season is over, and now
we can fully focus on the football season. Sorry NBA,
Sorry NBA. We'll get to you, like I don't know,
Christmas time will start zeroing in on you right now.
All right, So we got college football going on right now.

(07:17):
Number one Oregon end of the third quarter leading at
Michigan thirty one seventeen. The defending national champions are staring
at their fourth loss of the season. And this is
a team that lost one game total in the last
two years under Jim Harbaugh. Martin's going to be doing updates.

(07:39):
I'm sure he's not happy our Michigan grad over there
for a bit. Well, he's already said, I only want
to wish evil things about to Jim Harborough. Yes, yes,
because he left such a mess behind, is what he claims.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
But I mean, are we surprised really? They lost so
many players on both sides of the ball.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Let me ask you this, you know, let me ask
you this. Me know, in your dreams, you dream of
a parade for the Clippers.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Oh yes, okay, yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
So let me ask you this. I'm gonna give it.
I'm gonna be the devil, and I'm gonna make a
deal with the devil. Okay, all right, I'm the devil.
I'm gonna say, tell you what, Clippers win the championship. Okay,
the trade off is they will follow the championship with
ten straight losing seasons and miss the playoffs all.

Speaker 5 (08:24):
Ten years in a row.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
You choose a Clippers championship guaranteed in exchange for ten
straight losing seasons in which they do not even make
the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
And you know why this is even more interesting is
because I know the Clippers haven't won, but the Clippers
have been fun.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
We have had fun throughout the years. Like Lob City,
I love those years.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
And so this is an interesting question because even though
we haven't won, there have been a lot of success.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
I would say just throughout.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
The regular season, but I would I would take a
championship and go ten straight years.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
And I would say I.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
Take a championship.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
By the way, when I was down in San Diego,
I did this every year with the Padres fans. You know,
all right, you'll win a World Series. I mean you
wanted to talk wacky parades. This actually happened in nineteen
ninety eight. The Potters made it to the World Series.
Last time they were in the World Series have only
been in two and they got swept by the Yankees
four straight games, The last two were in San Diego.

(09:26):
Two days after that, they had a full blown parade
with over one hundred thousand people in San Diego. After
getting swept in the World Series. Now, can you imagine
in La like the Yankees sweep the Dodgers and then
two days later there would be a parade in the
streets of La No. But in San Diego, where they've

(09:48):
never won anything, zero, never had a parade, they decided
to have a parade and they had one hundred thousand
people like they had just won the World Series, even
though they got swept in the World Series.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
That's nice. That's a good fan base. That's a good
fan base.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
That's ridiculous. I am one hundred percent with you. If
my team had never won anything and you're trading off
just one championship.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Yeah one, I would do it, absolutely, I would do it.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
Yes, So a good call there, all right.

Speaker 2 (10:17):

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Steve Harman, Montcy Belanos here Fox Football Saturday. And if
you're not an LA sports fan, you said, I don't
want to hear that song ever again? Why a fan?
You have to You have to understand. There are certain

(11:29):
cities that are despised. I told all these Dodgers it
was fourth time in forty three years Dodgers Yankees in
the series. I remember the World Series of seventy seven,
seventy eight, and eighty one.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
Dodgers finally won in eighty one.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
And I told everybody, if you think a Laker fan
losing the Celtics is bad, be it. How about being
a Dodgers fan losing the Yankees? And so everything about
LA that LA people love elsewhere hate same thing. When
the York or Boston are certain, you know, polarizing sports cities,

(12:06):
all right, once again, we're coming to life from the
tyre rag dot com studios. I don't know if this
man can actually claim an absolute allegiance to a city
I know where he's connected to. The question is, does
he still have that same allegiance as so many of
the fans did the line the streets of la or
every year we have championships. We're talking, of course, about

(12:28):
our Fox Sports Radio NFL insider Adam Kaplan. Adam as
a fan, not as a working member of the media,
but as a fan. Have you ever attended a team parade?

Speaker 7 (12:45):
No, not as a member of the media, you're saying, no,
as a fan fan.

Speaker 6 (12:49):
Yeah, I did.

Speaker 7 (12:50):
Actually in nineteen eighty I was in eighth or ninth
grade and attended the Phillies parade when they you know,
they beat the.

Speaker 5 (12:56):
Royalty, Yes, their first ever world champion and.

Speaker 7 (13:00):
Yeah, and the second one I did, the six Ers
eighty two, eighty three when they.

Speaker 6 (13:02):
Beat LA Yes they did. They did beat the Lakers. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (13:06):
Boy, that Randy Newman song. It's funny. We all hear this,
like when you hear a couple of notes. I'm thinking, no,
it's definitely not short people, which is another that's actually
his biggest hit. I would say yes, and I love
La would be one a.

Speaker 5 (13:19):
They never play short people anymore.

Speaker 6 (13:21):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
It's sort of like the Georgia Florida game they no
longer call at the World's largest outdoor cocktail party. That
was the tight name of this game forever because it's
you know, played on a neutral field in Jacksonville. And
they said, now that doesn't sound right.

Speaker 6 (13:36):
Can I tell you quick story?

Speaker 5 (13:37):
Guys?

Speaker 6 (13:37):
You love this?

Speaker 7 (13:38):
So I'm playing I'm playing tennis today this morning, and
at the tennis club, the pro usually plays music because
he knows all like eighties music.

Speaker 6 (13:45):
So I just couldn't believe this.

Speaker 7 (13:47):
So he plays rappers Delight from Sugar Hill Gang Okay,
which is what probably the first hip hop song or
whatever you rap song right ever seventy nine. And I
don't know why he did this, and I'd have to
look it up. John Denver Rocky out and High. With
the second song, I'm like, how did you even come
up with both back to back? Like that's insane? Anyway,
it was funny.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
All right, let's let's get to a little NFL football.
I'm gonna start with the Jets. Yes, the Jets actually.

Speaker 5 (14:11):
Won a game.

Speaker 6 (14:12):
It's powerful, but they won.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Okay, so, but I mean they being a good Texans
team and you know, help them to thirteen? Well, okay
so and then afterwards, yeah, I mean c J. Strouds
some I don't know some cryptic messages about the Texans
right now. But do you believe in any way that
this win, after snapping this five game losing streak, is

(14:34):
going to turn things around and the Jets are going
to rattle off eight more wins in a row to
finish eleven and six.

Speaker 7 (14:40):
No, but the key is here just to stay alive
for the waldcard spot. That's the only thing they were
life for, and they're actually pretty close to it. They
shouldn't be. But if if the Chargers lose tomorrow, they're
really close, they would be a game out of the
win column. But look, the only positive of someone from
the Jets said to me, other than winning, is that
they got the mini buy players will get the week off,

(15:01):
the weekend off. Aaron Rodgers has this high ankle sprain.
It's believed to be a high ankle sprain and also
has a hamsterring issue, so they will get him off
his feet.

Speaker 6 (15:08):
That's a good thing.

Speaker 7 (15:09):
But I guess, you know, honestly, the best story about
the game was their defense eight sacks.

Speaker 6 (15:15):
But CJ. Stroud is struggling.

Speaker 7 (15:16):
You know, he's without us top two receivers w One
Room's out for the season with Diggs and Nico Collins,
who was doing awesome before he suffered the significant hamsterring injury.
You know, the Texans thought that they had maybe the
best or one of the best depth at the receiver
in the National Football League to start the season.

Speaker 6 (15:33):
Not anymore. In fact, they.

Speaker 7 (15:35):
Have to seriously look by Tuesday's deadline at the receiver position.
Now they're like six teams at least still looking for
receivers and we've already had a lot of you know,
movement in that market so far.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
Adam, Let's chat a little bit about the Bears last week.
I mean, a pretty embarrassing loss right to the Commanders.
There's rumors out there that maybe there's a rift in
the locker room happening in Chicago. How do you think
they come out this week with the embarrassing hangover lingering,
or do they come out swinging against the Cardinals.

Speaker 7 (16:04):
Yeah, I was doing TV the other day on sports
Core with Scott Farrell, and we actually talked about that,
how you're going to know a lot where they're at
after if that embarrassing choke of a loss, if they
don't come out and play well, if they're flat and
they would drop to four and four, and you'll learn
a lot, Manzie, about where they're at mentally. That that
was in my time covering the NFL about twenty seven years.

(16:28):
I've seen some bad losses. Obviously, hal Mary or right,
you could go through a lot of crazy losses. And
then Tyreek Stevenson the embarrassment of what he did, that
adds to it. We're gonna learn a lot about the Bears.
I didn't think much of them to start the season.
That they've they've been a little better than I expected.
But that's that's something you can't have happen. And let's
you know, look, let's be real here, Matt Eberflus barely

(16:51):
kept his job. Kevin Warren the new president and he
inherited the GM and the head coach, Kevin Warren, I'm
told who used to be the Big ten commissioner. He's
heavily involved in football operations and he's a guy looks
he wants to be involved. So we're going to monitor
that situation in terms of Ibraflus, who uh, he's got
to get things together. That was really bad that there's

(17:13):
a second coaching. By the way, when it happens, you're
allowing it. So when you see a thing like Tyreek
Stevenson who completely embarrassed the football team, they clearly there's
a lack of discipline on that team. I don't care
what abra flu says. Clearly there's something wrong where you
don't understand your players. And by the way, he had
a fire or two coaches on his staff in season
last year. Let's not forget about the kind of staff

(17:35):
he's hired in the past.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Well, first of all, if you were paying attention to
Stevenson on the field, you had three timeouts, you could
have called a timeout, saying time should.

Speaker 7 (17:44):
Have anyway, just exactly what you said that I thought,
So that was my first thought, like time.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
First of all, you gave the knock peopball for no reason.
But at the same time you see a guy clearly
away from everyone else, you have three timeout.

Speaker 6 (18:01):
Them.

Speaker 5 (18:01):
I was just, dude, what are you doing?

Speaker 7 (18:03):
But I was talking right, But I was just talking
more about setting up the defense because you have to
knock the ball down. That's the one thing when you
talked to defensive coaches, the first thing they mentioned if
you ask about is we are not trying to catch
the football.

Speaker 6 (18:16):
We're not trying to deflect it. We're knocking the ball down.

Speaker 7 (18:20):
That was really bad, and that's bad coaching, bad execution
by the players, and it's a shame. They've had a
lot of positive momentum. And by the way, the Commanders,
they're living dangerously that they're another team now. They they
play a bad Giants team on Sunday. Giants probably going
to be active. They should move one or two players
by Tuesday's deadline. And by the way, Washington told us

(18:41):
calling around for cornerbacks. So they're trying to shake some
things up in their defensive backfield.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
So, Adam, I had a laugh when I heard that
the NFL had moved back their trade deadline to be
on election day. I didn't know, I knew it. I'm like, Okay,
is this the NFL? We can even cover We can
even get headlines away from the presidential election? All right,

(19:08):
So but I mean that it's crazy, that's.

Speaker 6 (19:10):
A I wonder, Steve, Okay, so you bring it up.

Speaker 7 (19:13):
So talk to the league, you know for GMS for
years said hey, listen, we need more time to see
if we're a playoff team. We need to we need
two extra weeks. And the and the GM's got their wish.
But why didn't they could have they done it Wednesday?
Of course that was really stupid to day for years ago.

Speaker 5 (19:30):
We already knew it.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
It's the first Tuesday of no memory. So that's been
that way forever. See the league, they knew what these.

Speaker 7 (19:38):
Well yeah, right, but they'll tell you they purposely like
to schedule stuff to be alone, like they like they
don't want to go up against anything.

Speaker 6 (19:44):
I'm really surprised that they did that, to be honest.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
Well that's a big Well my question is will there
be a headline on trade deadline Tuesday that will top
the matchup for president?

Speaker 6 (19:55):
I doubt it.

Speaker 7 (19:56):
I would be well, no, it would be impossible and
I don't want to even get into politics, but it
will be an earth shattered one. No, because the Browns
aren't trading Miles Garrett. There's a lot of stuff out there.
I'm told that as of now, the Panthers will not
trade j C.

Speaker 6 (20:14):
Horn.

Speaker 7 (20:14):
I know watch is trying. There are other teams calling. Yeah,
I don't see that. This is not the baseball Look
at baseball treadline deadline, they're rarely anything.

Speaker 6 (20:24):
Oh my god, this is unbelievable shattering.

Speaker 7 (20:26):
Now we've seen some interesting receiver trades and they're going
to be I would might get I don't guarantee the stuff,
but I would say a minimum of two receivers should
move by the deadline.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Adam, what do you make of the Rams?

Speaker 4 (20:39):
So at one point I thought they were going to
be sellers at this point, and then they get their
offensive weapons back and Matthew Stafford has the best game of.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
The year so far. Real or just they middle of
the pack.

Speaker 7 (20:52):
They're really well coached that they're a middling team. Honestly,
they're at eight eight nine and eighteen eight nine ninety eight.
Now they play Seahawks team that has lost four out
of five. Their defense has kind of collapsed. They're struggling. Look,
and the Rams have kind of owned Seattle for many years.
So now I'm worried a little bit worried about Pookinaku's injury,
but they didn't really do much today with transactions at receivers,

(21:16):
so maybe he's going to be available. They they downplayed
the knee. They think he's actually going to play. So
we'll see what happens after pregame warm ups. But what
do I make them? I think they're I think you
just said it. I mean, I think they're very average.
They've they overchieved last season. They don't have a great roster.
Stafford could still play. He looked awesome last week with
return of Nikua. But let's not forget and and Coup.

(21:38):
Let's not forget though the Aaron Donald retirement. Although Jared
versus been a great rookie. They're they're missing Aaron Donald.
Like you have the game plan form, you got a
double team, and they just not having not having offenses
having to worry about that.

Speaker 6 (21:51):
That's a factor.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
Yeah, you talk about irreplaceable Aaron Donald. Absolutely all right.
Final question, Game of the week Lions at the Packers.
Packers at home, six and two team and they're underdogs
at home against this high powered Lions team. Break it down.
What do you think is going to happen there at
lambeau Field.

Speaker 6 (22:10):
Yeah, Jre Love.

Speaker 7 (22:10):
My understanding is he's going to play unless he's a
step back in pregame warm ups, but you know, he
got hurt earlier in the game, kept playing on that
coron injury. I liked that he took most of the
ones in practice yesterday. I like the Lions to do it.
You know, it's funny. For years they couldn't win outdoors.
They went everywhere. They're great on the road, they're great
at home, they're well coached. Now it may not happen
in this game, and I know that they're looking for

(22:31):
an end rusher at some point. The loss of Aiden
Hudginson's going to be a factor. It's going to have
to be at some point. I mean, it's unbelievable what
they're doing. And this is this is really the first
big time opponents they're playing. And look, hey, if the
Lions lose tomorrow, you know the Packers would would technically
be in first place because with seventh wins. So it's
a big game tomorrow. There aren't a lot of great

(22:54):
games this week, but that Bears Cardinal's game is super
intriguing because of what's happening. And I can't believe that
Brock those games going to matter. But Steve your team,
I'm shocked. And by the way, how about them being
a nine point underdog. Ravens aren't even playing good football.
That makes no sense to me.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
No one believes in them until they actually crossed the
finish line.

Speaker 6 (23:11):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
I don't know why I hated the Broncos always, but
you know I picked them as special. By the way,
just to know it is the Lion's first outdoor game
the entire season.

Speaker 6 (23:21):
That's saying people are going to talk about that.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
I'm going to talk about that out of great stuff.
As always, we appreciate it. I bet you were absolutely
the loudest person there for both the Phillies Parade in
nineteen eighty and the Sixers Parade in nineteen eighty three.

Speaker 6 (23:35):
Well one of them.

Speaker 7 (23:36):
I don't even know if I have pictured it, but
I know I was in a I was in a
building because you know, with streamers and throwing stuff out windows.
But yeah, it was actually the Sixers one when I
was still in high school. But yeah, that was a
long time ago. By the way, nineteen eighty eighty one,
all fourteens made the championships.

Speaker 5 (23:54):
That is right.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Yes, And I'll share some stories with you that I
heard from Raider players about Super Bowl fifteen.

Speaker 5 (24:02):
They will tell you about the Eagle players.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
In fact, Jerry Robinson, who went to UCLA when I
was at UCLA. He has a tremendous story about the
underrated can New Orleans. So we'll share that another day. Ada,
great stuff. As always, we'll talk to you next week.
Adam kaplan Our Fox Sports Radio NFL Insider. All right,
let's find out what is trending right now? And Monci

(24:25):
I asked Martin before the show a similar question to
what I asked you about the Clippers that if he
had been told before last season his beloved Michigan Wolverines
would win a national championship, but the tradeoff would be
ten straight years without a Bowl game? Would you still
take that championship?

Speaker 5 (24:42):
Martin?

Speaker 2 (24:43):
What did you say?

Speaker 5 (24:43):
Kiss the ring?

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Kiss the ring, Kiss the ring.

Speaker 5 (24:47):
I'm with you, guys, one hundred percent. This is a
no brainer.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
You want in your lifetime, you want to see a championship. Well,
here's the thing.

Speaker 8 (24:55):
You might have ten losing seasons anyway, it's true, so
you might as well get a ring on.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
On the way.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
That's so true, Well, get a ring along.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
So when Michigan won the national championship in ninety seven,
I'm Steve I was eight. That's my whole point, right
it as an adult, you got to see it.

Speaker 6 (25:13):
I did.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
It was very fun. I enjoyed it very much. That
perfect season fifteen and oh boom.

Speaker 8 (25:18):
And now they'll lost more games in the first eight
weeks of this season than they did the entirety of
the last two.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
Oh my god, this is embarrassing. You have they lost
as many as the last three years combined. Definitely last Yeah,
I had well with.

Speaker 5 (25:35):
The two losses and then they lost her prime.

Speaker 8 (25:37):
Yeah, so yeah, the last three years. Yeah, as uh,
Michigan runs a fake. I mean, all of these player
are fixed that. I have a quarterback Alex Orgy pitched
it to somebody who then threw what was that He
pitched it to a wide receiver who then tried to
throw a ball to Colston Love one, I believe, and
ended up taking out a cameraman.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
So everything's going well in an arbor for the for
the defending champions as he runs right into the Jim camera.

Speaker 8 (26:03):
That had to hurt. That thing is a gotta be
at least sixty five pounds. TV veteran over here. Full
college football not so much anyway, Score thirty one to
seventeen the number one Oregon Ducks leading in an arbor
at the Big House as Michigan just turned it over
on downs on a trick play. Thirteen thirteen Florida between
Florida and Georgia, the number two ranked Bulldogs on the

(26:26):
ropes right now. Quite honestly, Florida State, I mean Florida
lost their quarterback DJ Lagway to a hamstring injury. He's
already been seen on social media walking off with crutches
and then an air cast and fall. Florida's done is
scored thirteen points in the second quarter, kept hanging on
three interceptions by Carson Becks is helping that cause. Georgia's
offense can't get out of the mud. Iowa State and

(26:47):
trailing right now on the road against Texas Tech. Iowa
State's undefeated, the eleventh three team in the nation, seventeen
to sixteen to score.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
There.

Speaker 8 (26:54):
Michigan State jumped out to a ten to nothing lead
in this game, and then i Indiana scored the next
forty seven points forty seven to ten. Eight oh three
left in the fourth quarter for the undefeated Hoosiers and
Kurt Signetti Kansas State and Houston was on delay for
quite some time.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
They got started.

Speaker 8 (27:09):
Now with seven seven to fifty left in the third quarter,
the Wildcats have a sixteen to ten lead over Houston
Avery Johnson with one twenty through the air and one touchdown.
In the NFL, the Titans have elevated Trevor Simeon, which
probably means that Mason Rudolph is going to start. Will
Levis had been improving on the injury report, but not

(27:31):
so much. He's still He likely will be the third
quarterback here at Sunday's game against excuse me a Sunday's
game against the Patriots.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
That's right.

Speaker 8 (27:41):
And on the other side of that game, Drake may
passky cusher protocol. He's gonna start against the Patriots, I
mean against the they play each other.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
The quarterbacks isn't all mixed up.

Speaker 8 (27:52):
See, this is what happens when Michigan throws a does
a trick play with the wide receiver throw Because you
know what other seven quarterbacks on the roster, two of
which have played COMF football for seven years.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
In a row.

Speaker 8 (28:02):
You know they can't find anybody complete a pass. But
I know you guys can complete a radio show.

Speaker 6 (28:06):
So back to you. I love it.

Speaker 5 (28:08):
Martin.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Can I complete an update.

Speaker 5 (28:09):
I don't know if.

Speaker 6 (28:11):
Martin.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
He's as honest as they get. That's all I can say.

Speaker 5 (28:15):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
I love that about him. By the way, once again,
this is Fox Football Saturday, Steve Harvin, monse Belanios here.
We're live from the tiraq dot Com studios. You know
when we talk about coaches, managers depending on expectations, it's
what she did in the biggest games. If you look
at this year, Dave Roberts was one loss away from

(28:37):
being fired. Yeah, they were down two games to one
of the Podreys. They had a bullpen day in San Diego.
The gas lamp was ready to celebrate another loss by
the Dodgers of the Podreys. That's how close he was.
I put out a tweet after they won the World
Series saying that he is now locked in for the

(28:57):
Hall of Fame. Every manager that has been to at
least four World Series and one two all of them
are in the Hall of Fame. The one exception is
Bruce Bochi. Obviously he's not eligible yet. You know he'll
be in the Hall of Fame. But every single manager
that has led his team to least four World Series
and one two is in the Hall of Fame. And

(29:17):
you could actually say Dave Roberts was robbed of a
series and the cheating Astros back in twenty seventeen. Now
that was met by a lot of skepticism, like, oh,
come on, what are you talking about.

Speaker 5 (29:27):
I'm like, I'm talking about every one of them.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
Yeah, and so you know, and then you look at
like James Franklin right here with the Penn State situation.
He owns it is what he said after losing another
big game one hundred and eleven thousand fans of Beavers Stadium.
They twice failed to score when they had first and
goal inside the fireguard in the red zone, you know,
and then they had the fourth and goal at the

(29:53):
one they couldn't score, and then Ohio State runs out
the last five minutes. So this is the thing about records.
He could look at the glowing records. But if you're
expected to win, like a Franklin is at Penn State
or Dave Roberts with the Dodgers getting of the playoffs
having winnings, that means nothing. Yeah, have to win championships, you.

Speaker 4 (30:15):
Have to win big games, and I don't know, I
don't necessarily agree that he was one lost away from
being fired. I don't know that they had so many
injuries throughout the season. I don't know that, but I
hear what you're saying, because he.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
Feels the fans would have demanded it.

Speaker 4 (30:27):
And they've been demanding it, like the blame has gone
to him for a while. But you're right, not only
did he win though, he just made the right choice
after the right choice, after the right choice, and then
did it again every single time he used his bullpen.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Well, the trin In situation.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
When he went out there, when he went out there
just so.

Speaker 5 (30:44):
Was like, you know, he was gassed.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
He pitched back to back days, he was over forty
pitches and he left him in he it was chef's kiss.

Speaker 4 (30:53):
The way he managed in the postseason with all of
the pitchers that we had to go through, and even
in the regular season, you know, nineteen starting pitchers, like
he had so much to work with because of everything
that happened throughout the regular season. But what he did
this postseason, it was just honestly unreal because it wasn't
one game that he managed well.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
It was several games in big moments. I agree with you,
Hats off.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
To him, Well, I saw it, Bruce Bochi. He won
three World Series of the Giants, one with the Rangers
last year. None of those teams were expected to win
the World Series, none of them, and he won four
by pushing all the right buttons. But this gets back
to how arbitrary it is. I mean, you can go
back to almost any failure, you know. I mean we're

(31:40):
talking about Eberflus, right, and oh he should have been
fired after that play, And you're like, okay, First of all,
if Stevenson is in such a knucklehead, right, if he
runs over instead of I don't know, literally tipping the
ball backwards into the receiver's hand had knocked it down,

(32:01):
we wouldn't say anything right now. And that eber Flus
would have been given huge credit for going on the
road and beating a team that was leading the NFC East.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
You're right.

Speaker 4 (32:12):
If he had nothing to do with that tip, if
he didn't touch the ball, he would not be But
unfortunately for him, it was a perfect storm of bad things.
And how do you not look at him and say,
my guy, you were over there at Tauntine.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
And then you come over here and tip the ball
to him.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
Well again, there's got to be someone on the bench
that's watching on the field and calling a time out.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
I didn't even think of that. That was a great point.

Speaker 4 (32:36):
That was malpractice there from the team because somebody had
to been watching him.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
Well, he was starting before the play was everything.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Yeah, he was already there.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Yet, he was already there. You've got ten guys there
and one guy is off on the side.

Speaker 5 (32:48):
Timeout.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
Yeah, he had a sprint. He had a sprint to
where the hell Mary was going.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Because he was The funny thing is, if he hadn't
made that sprint, they probably would have knocked it down.

Speaker 6 (32:58):
He came in at the.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
Last second and just pre you go perfectly behind him.

Speaker 5 (33:03):
Yeah, studio, who does that?

Speaker 6 (33:05):
I mean?

Speaker 2 (33:06):
So, I guess this is This is the frustrating thing
about being a coach, especially college coaches, because you're working
with kids yep, yep, you know, and and and your
fate rides on them making the right decisions.

Speaker 4 (33:19):
And that revolving door nowadays with nil, with you know
all of that, it's just your what you're building today
is might not be here next year.

Speaker 6 (33:27):
All right.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
I have a spin on the Heisman company, Yes, a
little bit of a spin coming out exciting. My latest
Heisman update is coming up. This is Fox Football Saturday.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 2 (33:51):
Steve Harman, montciblogas here Fox Football Saturday. We are live
from the Tairac dot com studios. Okay, it's that time,
all right, So I said, Moncie, there's a little bit
of a twist, and I've never done this. I've been
doing this top three for fourteen years on variety of

(34:13):
shows around the country. For the first time ever, I'm
gonna cheat. And the reason I'm cheating is I have
four guys, three slots, and I can't separate wow one
from the other.

Speaker 5 (34:33):
So let's get it started right now.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
Here is my current three B shampos straight drop to throw,
looks middle, looks left, looks right, a.

Speaker 5 (34:45):
Lot of time, a lot of protection.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
Now we'll throw it.

Speaker 9 (34:47):
It's cut, tense, chuckson, it'side the outside of the fifteen
out of two to the tamp to the five, pick
out to the pylon, touchdown test Judson touchdown Oregon.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
That's Jerry Allen from lear Field and Dylan Gabriel, quarterback
for the number one ranked Oregon Ducks, by the way
right now, dismantling Michigan thirty seven to seventeen final seconds
of that game, taking off another two hundred and ninety
four yards passing in a touchdown, twenty three yards rushing
and a score for him as well, quarterback of the

(35:22):
number one team in the country, Dylan Gabriel, Oregon is my.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
Three B three B.

Speaker 5 (35:28):
Here is my three A.

Speaker 6 (35:31):
It takes the hand up set to throw, throw.

Speaker 9 (35:33):
It to the end zone, catch it the one end
zuond touchdown, touchdown, Colorado.

Speaker 6 (35:39):
The best player.

Speaker 10 (35:40):
In college football once again, Travis Hunter finds the end
zone for the sixth time this season.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
That's Mark Johnson from lair Field and I can't leave
out Travis Hunter. Yeah, back to back weeks where he
was hurt. Now he came back with the most receiving
yards of any game in of his career. He played
every I'm watching that game like this kid is unreal.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
Alien is the right description.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
Alien is the right description, as Mark Johnson has called him.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
If he can stay healthy, yeah, I don't know how
he could be denied a spot on my ballot. All right,
so I won three to a three B. Here is
my current.

Speaker 10 (36:19):
Number two coming in motion as baits hand off genty
to the right side, gempty. Shed's a tackler thirty forty
fifty forty. It's a foot race thirty twenty ten. Another
one play drive for Ashton genty seventy five yards on
the score.

Speaker 2 (36:38):
That's bobular from lear Field. All right, I watched the
game last night. Yeah, Boise State did a number on
San Diego State genty. They are loading the box against
this kid the last two weeks against UNLV and San
Diego State. Now, all of a sudden, instead of ten
yards of carries, at five yards of carry. I'm still impressed.

Speaker 3 (36:58):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, what are you expecting? I mean,
teams have to try and stop him.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Right, and of course the passing game wide open and
the quarterback has an incredible day. He's still in the
nation and rushing, he's still averaging almost eight yards of
carry for the season. Ashton genty, Boyse State running back
is now my number two. Here is my number one
war takes, He looks, he stands, he fires.

Speaker 5 (37:28):
Touchdown Miami shots inside.

Speaker 8 (37:31):
The pylon, right side of the end zone and it's
Ross Steppo's moment in the sunshine.

Speaker 5 (37:40):
That, of course is Hurricanes Radio Network.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
And yes, cam Ord who today in an actual come
from behind win against Duke four hundred yards passing five
more touchdowns. The fact that Miami is nine to zero,
the U is back and the reason is cam Ard.

Speaker 5 (38:00):
R Yeah it is.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
I agree.

Speaker 5 (38:02):
I mean, as long.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
As they're undefeated and he came into the second in
the nation and passing yards, it's hard to deny cam
Ward right now.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
And I think also with today's performance, you're kind of like,
how is he not going to be on your list?

Speaker 3 (38:15):
At least for today? At least for today, He's got
to be on that list.

Speaker 5 (38:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
I mean, I got four guys, and.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
I understand all four of them too. I get you.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
How about Jackson Dart today for Mississippi over five hundred
yards passing six six touchdowns.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Yeah, no, I saw it. I didn't watch the game,
but I saw the highlights. I was like, wow, okay, okay.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
Normally, though, if you're a school and this was the
truth with a genty last night, he did almost nothing
in the first half, huh, and they they fed in
the ball yeah, they but it's still the heights on
an update. Yes, I like that, but they kept That's okay.
It was good because I was doing another update on genty.
It was perfect time. So, but they were making sure

(38:57):
he can't have a sub But one hundred yard day,
I nted up with one hundred and forty nine yards,
you know, and that's obviously a really good number. So
you're gonna see, especially as some of these finalists are
going against inferior competition, it only makes sense let them
roll up numbers.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
Do you know how much a heisman is worth to
a university? They estimated when Johnny Manziel won that heisman
for Texas A and M, it was worth thirty four
million dollars to the university in what way like in
terms of not only revenue generated into the university invested
in the university, but it also helps recruiting when you

(39:39):
got one of those think about this. Alabama had never
had a heisman winner until Nick Saban showed up. Never,
no matter how many great years they had with Bear Bright,
they never had a heisman winner. Now they have four.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
I never thought of the value of a heisman for
a university when you're.

Speaker 2 (39:54):
Recruiting and they walk in and see those Heisman trophies.
It is absolute guaran every time. All right, Coming up
on the other side, we're gonna get to a huge
NFL Sunday, which games matter, will break it down. This
is Fox Football Saturday. Rolling along here on another huge

(40:15):
sports Saturday, Fox Football Saturday. We're broadcasting live from the
ti iraq dot com studios ti rack dot com. We're
gonna help get you there a match selection, fast free shipping,
free road has a protection over ten thousand recommending installers
ti iraq dot com the way tire buying should be so.
Some of the big games today in college football. Number
three Penn State, first loss of the season. They just

(40:38):
can't beat the top five ranked teams. They lose again,
this time to Ohio State. Number one Oregon blasting Michigan
in the Big House today they are firmly number one.
And how about Indiana undefeated. They actually trailed for the
first time in any game this year. They were down
ten to nothing at the end of the first quarter
in East Lansing against Michigan State and then rattled up

(41:00):
forty seven straight points. Are they ever going to be
in the top ten. Why are they not in the
top ten. They're nine to oher and demolishing people.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
And they're creeping in there. They're creeping in there.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
They've been like SETI at thirteen. You know, I'm like,
maybe this team should get a little more. Coming up,
we got a couple of games coming up here. None
of major notes coming up tonight, but some of the rankings.
Kansas State's going to be kicking off at Houston. We
got A and M on the road against South Carolina,
Louisville and Clemson. Clemson, remember is on a roll right now.

(41:36):
Remember we were talking about Dabo Sweeney saying I don't
believe in the transfer portal. I'm not into that.

Speaker 5 (41:42):
Nil.

Speaker 2 (41:43):
You know, my thing is, you can't build unity on
a team if you're shuffling players in and out. By
the way, Oregon, I believe, has fourteen starters on their
team that are transfers this year.

Speaker 3 (41:56):
Well, and they're in first place.

Speaker 6 (41:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (41:59):
No, Clemson's first lost to Georgia. Didn't they just score
three points?

Speaker 5 (42:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (42:04):
They got blown it, yeah, but also just scored three point.
It didn't look like they would be six and one
right now. It did not look like that at the
start of the season.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
Georgia is struggling, but they have now taken the lead
against Florida twenty and thirteen. We got inside ten minutes
to go.

Speaker 4 (42:18):
They just hunted to Florida and Florida is getting the
ball around midfield to ten minutes to go.

Speaker 5 (42:23):
All right, And again, rivalry games.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
It's hard to play rivalry games, you know, you sort
of you throw the records out with the rivalry games.
And certainly Florida Georgia has been a great rivalry over
the years. All right, so let's get to some NFL
football pant c And it is hard to believe we
are officially at the halfway point, aren't we week nine?
That's right, there's eighteen weeks, seventeen games over eighteen weeks,

(42:47):
and this is week nine, the halfway point of the season.

Speaker 3 (42:50):
October went buying the blink of an eye, probably because
of the World Series two. It just seems like it's
in the blink of an eye. We're in November, halfway
through the season.

Speaker 4 (42:57):
Okay, all right, yeah, but things in person infective a
little bit.

Speaker 2 (43:01):
But it also brings to the mind that teams, again,
we start every year with the thought that there's going
to be four or five teams that are going to
be way better than anyone thought, and there's going to
be four or five teams are going to be way worse.
I mean this another year. Anyone think the Commanders are
going to be in first place in the NFC East.

Speaker 3 (43:21):
Maybe a few Washington fans.

Speaker 2 (43:23):
I don't even think any Commander fans, the few that
there are, could have believed that was going to happen.
I mentioned the Denver Broncos. Anyone predicted that the Broncos
at this point would be five and three in a
playoff team or.

Speaker 3 (43:37):
The Steelers right now top of the AFC North.

Speaker 4 (43:40):
Yes, when all we were talking about like well if
you have two quarterbacks, you don't have a quarterback at
the start of the season.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
And then you know, again we talk about teams like
the Saints were so good the first two weeks and
they've lost six consecutive games. So you know, as we
look at the standings right now, you have to ask yourself,
all right, which one of these teams is going to
be there in the end. Let me give you an example. Okay,
So the Sunday night game tomorrow night is the Colts

(44:08):
at the Vikings. No. Surprise that the Colts, who are
in a playoff position at four and four, have seen
enough of Anthony Richardson for now when you got Joe
Flacco on the bench. Anthony Richardson last week was ten
for thirty one passing.

Speaker 3 (44:24):
Yeah, and then he got tired and he took himself
out of the game and then said that, Yeah. I
couldn't believe. He admitted that I thought he was gonna
be like, oh, I cramped up. I just needed a
you know, a couple of minutes to make sure. But
I was cramping up. He said, No, I got tired.
I do a lot of running. I needed to take
a break.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
Okay, he's completing forty four percent of his passes.

Speaker 3 (44:45):
So he shouldn't be that tired.

Speaker 2 (44:46):
No, unless they're tired of picking up the balls that
are hitting the ground. So the Colts find themselves in
a position. But then I look at the Minnesota Vikings.
So the Vikings started five and zero and now they're
five and two, and they're obviously playing in this very
competitive NFC Nords as we know, tomorrow the Lions will

(45:08):
be on the road against the Packers. That's for first
place YEP in the division and the Vikings are still
sitting there. The question is Sam Donald mm hmm starter
by accident? Most people thought by this time JJ McCarthy
would be the starting quarterback, but obviously his season ended
before it started. Donald's play well, but the last couple

(45:29):
of weeks maybe not quite as well. Are you still
a believer that the Vikings are a playoff team this year?

Speaker 3 (45:40):
I am.

Speaker 4 (45:41):
I hear what you're saying, you know, I think the
big discussion was Sam Donald. A lot of people were like,
you kind of know what Sam Donald is, and he's good.
He has done really well for the Vikings, but does
he have an extra edge that we are literally seeing
with other teams?

Speaker 3 (45:56):
And I think that's the question.

Speaker 4 (45:58):
I say yes, because the Vikings schedule the rest of
the season, they have some games that they should win.
They have some games that they should win. At the end,
they take on the Packers and the Lines, which are
gonna be difficult. But the Colts, Jags are next, Titans
are next. They should be able to get into the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (46:15):
I agree with you.

Speaker 2 (46:16):
I mean, they have three straight road games, but the
first two are the Jags and the Titans, or you know,
the Jags obviously, right, but even then they see that
is another team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, you know, disastrous star
of the season. I picked them to win that division.
I thought the Texans might take a step back. I
don't know what's going on in Houston right now. Some
weird things are happening there despite their six and three records.

Speaker 3 (46:37):
Is it just a sophomore slump for CJ. Strouds beyond that,
I don't know it Sacks, I know, I know.

Speaker 5 (46:43):
I know, I know.

Speaker 4 (46:44):
And now losing Steffan Diggs not good for him, not
good for my fantasy teams.

Speaker 2 (46:47):
Well suddenly, then if Houston is hurting a little bit, yeah, Jacksonville.
Jacksonville's in the very similar situation of the Jets, where
you know, if they win a couple of games.

Speaker 3 (46:58):
Strengthen wins together, Yeah, all of.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
A sudden, you can sneak right back in this thing.
Remember last year the Rams came out of nowhere. They
won seven of their last eight games to get into
the playoffs. Yeah, yeah, so, I mean, yeah, so many
things can happen in the second half of the season.
I'm with you on the Vikings. Though I think the
Vikings are well coached, they still have in my opinion,

(47:22):
the most talented wide receiver in the NFL, and I
think they can get it done even in that division.
I'll be very interested in that game tomorrow between the
Packers and the Lions, Yes, because if the Lions win
that game at Green Bay, and I know Jordan loves
not one hundred percent, but if they win that game,

(47:44):
especially after what happened to the Ravens last week, because
we were all hyped up about the Ravens, and I
guess that was almost predictable.

Speaker 3 (47:51):
Right, Yeah, I mean we knew that they're the.

Speaker 2 (47:55):
Cleveland was going to be so psyched up just getting
rid of Deshaun.

Speaker 4 (47:58):
Watson, Yes, and also teams that have seen Lamar have
a better idea of how to approach him. I think
also that's part of it. The Steelers know what they're getting.
But yes, excitement. We already knew that Ravens defense was
not living up to the expectations past couple of games,
so I guess I guess it shouldn't have been that
big of a surprise to us. But I think with

(48:19):
the Lions here, the Lions seem to be winning and
they look they make it seem like it's easy.

Speaker 5 (48:26):
I know this might be.

Speaker 2 (48:27):
That's like the last week's game was so bizarre. They
had under one hundred yards passing. They had four touchdown passes. Yeah,
they had kickoff returns, punt returns, interception returns. By the way,
Florida has just scored and tied up this game with
Georgia seven and a half minutes to go on the
fourth quarter, and Georgia is facing a battle against the arrival,

(48:48):
the Florida Gators. All right now, speaking of you're Chargers, yes,
on the road against that Browns team that just beat
the Ravens.

Speaker 5 (48:57):
How are you feeling about that game?

Speaker 4 (49:00):
So, you know, I Jameis Winston got real lucky. There
was a lot of passes I could have been intercepted.

Speaker 3 (49:08):
I know Lamar also had some as well.

Speaker 4 (49:10):
So I'm here hoping that maybe the Chargers actually get
a couple of picks off of Jamis Winston. The Chargers
have not the Chargers. The first two three games are
not the Chargers we're seeing now. They already switched in
the first couple of games. Justin Herbert under two hundred
yards throwing and now he's averaging almost three hundred in
the last three games. I believe, so they're they're taking

(49:32):
a different approach, which I think the beginning was just
Jim Harbaugh saying like, we are gonna be a defensive
team first, and then we will adjust as we go.
I do think nobody has scored twenty points on the
Chargers this season, yet I do think the Browns are
gonna break that. I think the Browns will score twenty
points on the Chargers, but I think La wins.

Speaker 2 (49:50):
Well this game. Actually watching what Cleveland's that is still
a great defense.

Speaker 3 (49:56):
It is a great defense.

Speaker 5 (49:57):
Miles Garrett obviously is who he is, but even.

Speaker 3 (50:00):
He hasn't had a sack, I know, in how many
games now.

Speaker 2 (50:03):
It has been, you know, I mean, his presence has
still fell out, of course. But in a lot of ways,
this reminds me of the game against the Steelers where
the Chargers went to Pittsburgh and they scored early and
then just got shut down the rest of the game
because that great Steeler defense that we've seen. If the
Browns defense plays at that level, this is going to
be a very, very tough game for the Chargers. By

(50:24):
the way, one interesting stat about Justin Herbert is he's
only thrown one interception this.

Speaker 3 (50:29):
Year, he is protecting the ball very well.

Speaker 5 (50:32):
That's Jim Harbaughs saying, hey, kid, I know you can
throw the.

Speaker 4 (50:35):
Ball, but I tell you, yes, the first three to
three games he wasn't throwing the ball.

Speaker 2 (50:39):
But our margin for air with his team is so
narrow that an air and throw where you're trying to
make a play. I get it. I used to be
a quarterback. That's why Darbs I used to be. You
want to be heroic, you want to do but if
you stay in your lane and just do you know
McConkie obviously has been a huge success as a rookie

(51:01):
wide receiver. Just stay in your lane. We have a
running game. We actually we have a really good defense
this year. That's enough. W's ultimately will be the gauge
that you, as a quarterback are judge by.

Speaker 4 (51:16):
I love that because that's what I think he's to
tell him that he doesn't need to play hero ball.
You're not doing that this year, and we're gonna take
it easy. We're gonna take it easy, one step at
a time. Defense first, protecting the ball.

Speaker 3 (51:27):
I here we are.

Speaker 2 (51:28):
Yeah, it's amazing when you have a really good coach.

Speaker 3 (51:32):
Yeah, it matters. It matters.

Speaker 5 (51:35):
It really is it does.

Speaker 2 (51:37):
I mean you can just send you know, Sean McVay
with the Rams holding this team together after one and
four start. Now, all of a sudden, the weapons are back,
Pooka Nakou is back, Hooper Kappa is back, and Matthew
Stafford all of a sudden's back because his guys are back.
Got to hold the team together. Yeah, you know, And
that's what good coaches do. They make a difference.

Speaker 6 (51:57):
All right.

Speaker 2 (51:57):
Coming up on the other side, we have other games.
The Cowboys have been a good road team this year
and want a single home game. Can they do it
on a road against the Falcons? And will two be
the difference in a place where Miami never wins. Yeah,
that's up there in Buffalo. We'll break it down. This

(52:19):

any Halloween parties? No?

Speaker 4 (52:52):
I had Halloween parties on the day that I went
to the World Series game.

Speaker 3 (52:55):
That was that Saturday.

Speaker 5 (52:56):
But I did.

Speaker 4 (52:57):
I don't know if you saw I put it on Twitter.
I had a friend who was like, come over, I'm
having friends over, but I'm just we're gonna do trigger
treating for the kids in the neighborhood. And I was like, okay.
So I worked on this, was think this thanks. I mean,
this was Halloween on Thursday. And then I text my
other friend Natalie, Hey, girl, can you make me into
like a dead zombie or something?

Speaker 3 (53:16):
And she's like, yeah, do you have a Yankee shirt?

Speaker 4 (53:18):
And I was like yeah, and so I was fan wow.
But I got to give her credit because this was
not planned. So we didn't go to the store, we
didn't buy it naked.

Speaker 6 (53:31):
I did.

Speaker 4 (53:31):
It's on my Twitter. I'll show it to you right now.
But it was like not planned, and she just she's
a she's an actress, so she's got like stage makeup
and she's got a bunch of stuff that is and
I so if I had planned it, I would have
had the contacts, you know, either the.

Speaker 5 (53:47):
Wider the red car.

Speaker 3 (53:49):
That was it, right? Yeah, so not at all.

Speaker 4 (53:53):
Give it up to my friend Natalie. Give it up
to my friend Grace for having a little gathering. Give
me a reason to dress up.

Speaker 2 (53:58):
What's wrong with me? I mean that's a load of
question exactly. But going back to being a kid, I
didn't get it.

Speaker 5 (54:09):
I did fun.

Speaker 2 (54:11):
I don't like to get into costumes. At no point
in my life have I ever been a fan of Halloween.

Speaker 3 (54:20):
I ever, I don't understand as a.

Speaker 2 (54:23):
Kid, as a college kid, as uh married you knew me.

Speaker 4 (54:28):
Never, which is crazy because you are a fun guy,
like you know, typically somebody who says what you just say, Yeah,
I would be like, well you sound found fun parties,
and I would be lying, you're actually.

Speaker 3 (54:37):
A fun guy.

Speaker 2 (54:38):
It's the costume part of it that sort of bothers me.
What is it?

Speaker 3 (54:42):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 9 (54:43):
What?

Speaker 3 (54:44):
That's so weird? You would be great in a costume.
If I was coming to work with you, I was
gonna dress up as you. But I was in here
that day.

Speaker 6 (54:50):
I did go.

Speaker 5 (54:53):
I did go addressed Miss john snow by the way,
there you go in college.

Speaker 2 (54:58):
I want to a costume party as a busted condom.

Speaker 4 (55:03):
Okay, yeah, I have lots of questions, but I don't
know if they're accurate.

Speaker 5 (55:06):
I don't have any pictures. No use your imagine.

Speaker 3 (55:08):
I don't know if they're appropriate.

Speaker 5 (55:10):
That's what's I mean. That was.

Speaker 2 (55:11):
That's about as far as it would go.

Speaker 3 (55:13):
Yeah, I have questions. Did you use a plastic bag
and like rip it and put it over your head?
Oh my goodness, yeah, oh my goodness.

Speaker 2 (55:22):
You have to create the.

Speaker 4 (55:22):
You No, I don't want to know how you created
no effects. I don't get it, absolutely not.

Speaker 2 (55:28):
I'm just I'm putting out there. I'm glad to look them.

Speaker 10 (55:30):
All.

Speaker 2 (55:30):
Three of my adult children were out and about at
various parties, as they have been forever. Okay, well, they're
totally into it. Are in fact, in the Hartman House,
we have this giant box of costumes box like you go,
there's a variety of costumes.

Speaker 3 (55:49):
Even though you don't like it. Did you dress up
with your kids?

Speaker 5 (55:52):
No?

Speaker 2 (55:53):
No, And we're on a street where nobody comes by
the trick or two, we're on a hill and we
just leave a bucket of camp out and if anyone
takes it, just take the buckets.

Speaker 4 (56:02):
Take yeah, no, no, you take all of it. Don't
take one piece, just take the bucket.

Speaker 5 (56:06):
No one ever comes by our house. Really, my kids
were young, Yeah, we used to.

Speaker 2 (56:11):
We like to go to one of those secluded blocks,
you know, where you didn't have to worry about cars
and traffic and everything else, and just let him go
and have a good time and then drink to do
a lot of Yeah, do a lot of.

Speaker 3 (56:23):
Drinking, definitely.

Speaker 5 (56:24):
Yeah, And then that.

Speaker 2 (56:26):
Was okay, yeah, that part of it there, all right.
The Dallas Cowboys coming off their bye week, sitting at
three and four right now, and they're playing in Atlanta. Falconscy.
I'm just to put it in perspective, you know, were
saying here we are going into week nine. If you
look at the NFC standings, the Falcons are the current

(56:48):
three seed and the Cowboys are the thirteen seed. Okay,
think about that for a second. If you would have
predicted through eight weeks, the Falcons would be the three
seed leading the NFC South and the Cowboy to be
the thirteen seed. You say that's crazy, but there's no
denying this. And I know the Cowboys have had injuries.
Michael Parsons is still out Lands out. I mean they

(57:10):
ought you know, right now, the Cowboys in rushing offense
are thirty second in the league. That's last. Yeah, and
their run defense is thirty first, so that would be
next to last.

Speaker 3 (57:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (57:24):
When you're at the bottom of those two categories, it's
impossible to win.

Speaker 5 (57:29):
I know one thing.

Speaker 2 (57:30):
If you're a Bijon Robinson fan, he should have a
field day against this Cowboys defense.

Speaker 5 (57:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (57:37):
The Cowboys defense has allowed the second most touchdowns on
the ground. Yes, they will the second most touchdowns on
the ground twelve total so far this season.

Speaker 5 (57:46):
And he's been.

Speaker 2 (57:46):
Getting regularly one hundred yards from scrimmage and everything else.

Speaker 4 (57:49):
In a couple one or two games where he didn't
where it was.

Speaker 2 (57:52):
Like the last few weeks, But the last few weeks
he has.

Speaker 4 (57:55):
They're giving him the ball, you know, And I am
very excited for my fantasy teams.

Speaker 3 (58:00):
You have them in I think three leagues.

Speaker 2 (58:02):
Or imagine this. I mean, obviously for the Falcons it
would then, you know, firmly put them in control in
that NSC South.

Speaker 5 (58:08):
But the Cowboys lose again, I.

Speaker 4 (58:10):
Don't know, because the Falcons don't apply a ton of
pressure to the quarterback they're playing against. I don't know
if Dak may have time to throw.

Speaker 3 (58:19):
The ball in this game.

Speaker 2 (58:20):
Well, remember this when you talk about Dak Prescott and
Kirk Cousins. These are two of the top four guys
in terms of passing yards, right, so there should be
plenty of yards passing in this game. But that's a
little bit distorted with Dak Prescott because they've been trailing
big in some of these games where he's piling up
numbers late. Remember last year's playoff lost to the Green Bay.

(58:41):
At the end of the game, his numbers didn't look
that bad. I'm like, that was garbage time after the
first quarter.

Speaker 3 (58:47):
Yeah, yeah, So.

Speaker 2 (58:50):
You know you got to put things in perspective. There
another game. So are you going Falcons or Cowboys? Well,
and I'm not going to say that, I don't know
the way last week? Last week, are you upset that
I didn't allow carry? Kerry Rose was upset.

Speaker 4 (59:05):
I just didn't want to miss a week, So like
I had just given my blessing that Carrie could pick
for me and I would take them on.

Speaker 2 (59:11):
As my reason I did that was I was coming
up for a really good week yeah, I.

Speaker 4 (59:15):
Know, and I wasn't trying to take you away from
your role. So then when I beat you in the end,
it's not like fake news.

Speaker 2 (59:22):
I've had two good weeks so far.

Speaker 3 (59:24):
Yeah, to take that away from you, two.

Speaker 2 (59:26):
Good weeks, but it's been enough because they were like
really good weeks. You know, when I I get a
bonus point for predicting that that C. J.

Speaker 3 (59:36):
Stroud was not going to throw a touchdown pass, Yeah, that.

Speaker 5 (59:37):
Was pretty I tried Monsey.

Speaker 3 (59:39):
No, that was crazy.

Speaker 2 (59:40):
And then I had the Chiefs saying that they would
beat the.

Speaker 5 (59:45):
Digits and they were by ten.

Speaker 3 (59:46):
Yes, yeah, no, never pick against the Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (59:48):
I don't know what other lesson in life I know
besides don't pick against the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (59:51):
By the way, just for the record, Patrick Mahomes has
fallen to twenty third in the league in passing, which
is nuts. He is eight touchdowns and.

Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
And they're still winning.

Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
He's twenty third in the league in passing. Unreal bills
in Miami. Now, Miami never plays well up there at
Orchard Park. Okay, that's that's a But obviously, with Tua back,
we saw life for the first time in a love
Wall since he left obviously with the concussion injuries we've

(01:00:22):
seen some life. Is there possible that Miami can get
something going in Buffalo this week?

Speaker 4 (01:00:28):
I mean get something going in the sense that they
maybe get some good plays out of it and that
they can take that to the next week. But I
think the Bills seem to be putting something together for
the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 5 (01:00:41):
So you're you're in on the Bills.

Speaker 2 (01:00:42):
I mean they again, they're six and two.

Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
You know what, I didn't even have them making the
playoffs at the start of the season. I know, I
didn't even put my Chargers instead of them.

Speaker 4 (01:00:49):
I think the Bills are performing way better than I anticipated,
especially just we didn't know what Josh Allen was going
to have with his weapons since he lost a couple
of them. But you know now, Marii Cooper, Kean Coleman,
he's fun. I think that they are just in a
better position than the Dolphins. To me, yes, Tua is back,

(01:01:09):
but you almost have to kind of like it's like
the start of the season for you. You got to
get back into it. You got to get back into
a rhythm. And I don't see them getting back into
a rhythm in Buffalo.

Speaker 2 (01:01:18):
By the way, one other game, Commander's coming off that
miracle win against the Bears on the road against the
Happle Giants, who have won a game at home this year,
oh to four. Jayden Daniels is having a remarkable rookie
season right now. He's the runaway choice for Offensive Rookie
of the Year. That being said, that was a miracle

(01:01:40):
play that had more to do with the Bears than
it even had to do with Jayden Daniels. Yes, I
know he scrambled, I know he made the throw. That
thing wasn't even close to the goal line. He was
well short of the goal line he needed. America got
a miracle. If the Commanders lose that game, which they
should have lost that game, are we having the same
conversation right now? Caleb Williams would have led the Bears

(01:02:02):
to a win. Now, again, the Bears defense have been
outstanding in that game to put the Bears in a
position to take the lead late. But isn't the storyline
completely different if that ball goes down on the ground
and the Bears win on the road against the Commanders,
it might be.

Speaker 4 (01:02:18):
A different conversation. But in reality, you know, Chicago's defense
is what has kept them in the game.

Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
Yes, like it had been playing better each week and
I obviously didn't have a great game against the Commanders,
but I mean it just I mean.

Speaker 4 (01:02:33):
It might be a different conversation, a different conversation, Yeah,
but I think.

Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
The conversation would would have still pushed that.

Speaker 4 (01:02:40):
It's like Caleb Williams, despite not a great performance, Chicago
pulls it off again because it's their defense that has
kept them in How many games there was a game
that they won with just field goals?

Speaker 3 (01:02:50):
Am I trip and no, right, there was a game
this year that they won with just field goals.

Speaker 2 (01:02:53):
Well, remember the first game of the year. He had
zero to do.

Speaker 3 (01:02:56):
With that win, zero to do with it.

Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
Zeros put his fists in the air.

Speaker 3 (01:03:00):
Yeah, and he had zero to.

Speaker 4 (01:03:02):
Do with this one too against the Commanders. It was
it was the Commanders completely gave that one away.

Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
All right, would you who would you pick right now
between the Commanders and the Eagles. I'm gonna leave the
Cowboys out of this question to win the NFC East.

Speaker 5 (01:03:17):
This year because the Eagles, we know, have not played great.

Speaker 3 (01:03:21):
They have not played great.

Speaker 4 (01:03:23):
They don't I'm just looking at the Eagles. The rest
of the schedule. Will give me a second before I
make this decision.

Speaker 3 (01:03:33):
That's hard one because.

Speaker 2 (01:03:37):
I want you to put some hard, cold cash on
the line. Who is going to win the NFC East
this year?

Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
There's the right answer to this, by the way.

Speaker 5 (01:03:46):
Here this Mary Max says, there is a right answer.

Speaker 3 (01:03:51):
You know, the Eagles could do it. They really could win.
They really could do it.

Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Yeah, they start playing good if they.

Speaker 6 (01:04:02):
Look.

Speaker 2 (01:04:02):
I mean, they've gotten a boost this year in their
running game, no doubt about that with Saquan Yeah, Edge,
you all run to that thought. Let's find out what
is a trending right now. Let's see what Martin has
to say. Martin, who's your pick to win the NFC
East this year? The Washington Commanders.

Speaker 5 (01:04:20):
Washington Commanders, yes, comfortably says it.

Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
I mean, look, we've passed Halloween.

Speaker 5 (01:04:26):
You have two teams then East who have yet.

Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
To win a home game. That is correct. They might.
I think they're just bad.

Speaker 5 (01:04:35):
I guess the Cowboys are bad.

Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
When you're last in the league and running offense and
next to last in the league and running defense, you
have no chance none. That's where I'm at with it.

Speaker 6 (01:04:45):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
You want to you want to wait till after the update.

Speaker 5 (01:04:48):
What about the Eagles?

Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
You don't you don't think the Eagles can overtake the Commanders.

Speaker 4 (01:04:52):
And also maybe I'm putting too much on experience, Like
I'm giving the Eagles the edge on experience.

Speaker 2 (01:04:58):
Well, that means that you're taking Jayden Daniels over Jalen Hurts.
I mean, I'm taking jayde and Daniels over Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 8 (01:05:04):
I'm taking Dan Quinn over Nick Sirihanni, I'm taking Cliff
Kingsbury over whatever cluster bleep is going on with the
Eagles coordinating staff over the last two years.

Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
I just think that Philadelphia.

Speaker 8 (01:05:14):
Is a team that has a ton of talent and
not a lot of leadership, and that's why they end
up with decent records.

Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
But since that Super Bowl, I've been unimpressed. Yeah, I
agree with that. I mean, you're not wrong. Even when
they got off to a ten and one start last year,
they were like, what's wrong with this team?

Speaker 5 (01:05:27):
Didn't look right?

Speaker 3 (01:05:28):
I didn't look right?

Speaker 6 (01:05:29):
All right?

Speaker 5 (01:05:29):
What's happening out there?

Speaker 8 (01:05:31):
Speaking of teams that started out with only one loss
and didn't look right, the Georgia Bulldogs, I mean, they're gonna.

Speaker 6 (01:05:37):
Win this game.

Speaker 2 (01:05:39):
There's a minute and twenty seconds left here in the
fourth quarter between Georgia and Florida.

Speaker 8 (01:05:43):
But Florida lost their starting quarterback in the first half
and it was like he was carted off, Like it
was no thought of d J.

Speaker 2 (01:05:50):
Lagway coming back in the game.

Speaker 8 (01:05:51):
Aiden Warren, freshman out of winter Park, Florida, somehow had
Florida in this game. That somehow is Carson Beck had
three turnovers, one of which was a pick six. Like
this Georgia team suspect I'll just leave it at that, susspect,
all right. Kansas State and Houston, this one took a
long time to get started, and Kansas State really didn't
get started. Houston with a twenty four to nineteen lead,

(01:06:13):
one to thirty sixth left in the fourth quarter. Houston
has the ball. Kansas State does have two timeouts as
they're trying to get the ball back here. Remember Kansas
State the seventeenth ranked team in the nation only with
one loss. Earlier today we saw the Oregon Ducks remain undefeated.
They will remain the number one team in the nation
as they beat Michigan, go on the road to the
Big House and win by twenty one points, thirty eight
to seventeen over Michigan. Ohio State went into Penn State

(01:06:37):
and beat the Nitney Lions twenty to thirteen. James Franklin
continues his struggles against teams and however you won is
rank in the top five, top ten. He doesn't beat
a lot of them at all. Miami the fifth rate
team in the nation, fifty three to thirty one win
over Duke. They trailed this game late in the third quarter,
ended up going ahead and open it up to win
by twenty two. Indiana trailed Michigan State ten nothing and

(01:06:57):
then scored forty seven unanswered as the Hoosiers remain undefeated.
Thirteenth Rainey team in the nation. Ole Miss the nineteenth
rain team, sixty three to thirty one over Arkansas.

Speaker 5 (01:07:09):
Watkins the wide receiver for.

Speaker 8 (01:07:10):
Old Miss, Jordan Watkins eight receptions, five touchdown, I mean
five touchdown, Jess, I almost thought I misspoke. Five touchdowns
for Jordan Watkins two U fifty four yards. Army beat
air Force twenty to three. Minnesota upset Illinois twenty five
to seventeen. Drake May has clear concussion protocol. He's likely
to start against the Titans on the other side of
that game. In the quarterback matchup, Trevor Simeon has been

(01:07:32):
elevated from the Tennessee practice squad, which indicates Mason Rudolph
likely to start. Will Levis will likely be QB three
And what else did I have? Oh, Alico Elliott will
not travel to Atlanta. He will not play against the
Falcons due to disciplinary reasons. No word whether or not
there were disciplinary reasons for the first eight weeks of
the season, either because Zeke has not played much at all, Right,

(01:07:54):
Monsi and Steve, that's to you, guys.

Speaker 2 (01:07:55):
I don't know why they thought that Zeke Elliott, who
we know was finished once great running back, that something
always going to revive his career returning to Dallas. By
the way, how about Florida State one A eight one
an eight. They got annihilated at home by North Carolina.
This team was thirteen and zero. All the controversy last

(01:08:16):
year about being left out of the playoff because their
starting quarterback was out. Then they lost sixty six to
three to Georgia in that bowl game when half their
team didn't show up.

Speaker 5 (01:08:28):
One and eight one an eight.

Speaker 4 (01:08:32):
Yeah, it really puts into perspective Michigan situation.

Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
Yes, exactly one and eight. Yeah, for Florida State. Woof
things are absolutely crazy. All right, ladies and gentlemen, it's.

Speaker 5 (01:08:47):
That time, oh you know what time in his Stephen Montcie.
It's been a couple of weeks, actually been two weeks
since we've done it, but boy, howdy, we are back.
It's the game tod aga and he says, where I'm
talking to two of these Game Day geniuses themselves, Monty
and Steve. We skipped a week, but we do have

(01:09:08):
results from the previous week.

Speaker 3 (01:09:10):
Which I gave permission to continue it last week. Just
for the record, I know.

Speaker 4 (01:09:14):
Just for the record, I think got scared that carry
is gonna win for me.

Speaker 11 (01:09:19):
No, yeah, I genuinely think that he got scared. I
think you punked out.

Speaker 6 (01:09:24):
I really do.

Speaker 2 (01:09:26):
When it comes to these kind of predictions, I never win,
all right, Ego, I.

Speaker 3 (01:09:32):
Made him punked out.

Speaker 2 (01:09:35):
Carrie chose he was gonna lose the fact that I'm
still in the conversation. Originally we're just going to call
the segment Game Day Genius. We're going to leave the
plural out. But I did have a good week.

Speaker 5 (01:09:46):
Last I was about to say all this self deprecating
saying I never win. Steve, you are currently the lead
with two points. It's you are at seventeen. Moncey's at
fifteen on the wins right now. So you climb back,
you climb backed up or our fearless leader.

Speaker 6 (01:10:00):
Now.

Speaker 5 (01:10:00):
But we are now in a new week and we
have three new teams. No, it will not be the
vikings of the Seahawks in this one, so we are
free of that. But we're talking about the NFC East,
I mean the NFC Least. I guess we could say
now right now, but it's the Cowboys at the Falcons
is my first team in games right here over under
his fifty one and a half, our fearless leader in

(01:10:21):
the clubhouse, Steve Hartman, what are we feeling? Wow?

Speaker 2 (01:10:27):
I checked the sheet again today to see my preseason predictions.
I have the Cowboys winning the super Bowl this year.
I know true.

Speaker 3 (01:10:34):
He didn't mean it though, as I've said before meeting
the super Bowl. Yes, that's what he said.

Speaker 6 (01:10:38):
That's sick.

Speaker 3 (01:10:39):
Yeah, No, he didn't mean it when he said it's discussing.

Speaker 2 (01:10:42):
It's there.

Speaker 3 (01:10:43):
It is there. He's committed to it.

Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
I see it when I walk in all right, So
the Cowboys had the week off, right, sure, and they're
still banged up on defense. Still know, Michael Parsons, we
went through this game that being set. All three of
the Cowboy wins have been on the road this year,
and the Falcons have been a good story. Kirk Cousins
has had a really good start of the season. But

(01:11:08):
coming off the bye week, I think the Cowboys are
gonna rebound this week. I'm taking the Dallas Cowboys to
win on the road against the Atlanta Falcons.

Speaker 4 (01:11:25):
Yeah, all right, listen, at least he's confident, and that's
half the battle in life.

Speaker 3 (01:11:30):
You just gotta fake it till you make it.

Speaker 4 (01:11:31):
He doesn't believe that, but he's gonna stick to his
guns that the Cowboys are gonna bounce back. We just
talked about their rush defense. We just talked about Jon Robinson.
They've given up the second most touchdowns on the ground. No, Falcons,
this is gonna be a high scoring affair. I do
think it's gonna be high scoring.

Speaker 2 (01:11:50):
Oh you're gonna jump on that over under No.

Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
Because it scares me.

Speaker 4 (01:11:53):
It's a big number. But I think it's gonna be
a high scoring affair. And I do think the Falcons
win it, and I do have a bold prediction for it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:01):
What is it?

Speaker 4 (01:12:02):
I actually think Kirk Cousins will have a rushing touchdown.

Speaker 5 (01:12:06):
I like that he's not afraid. I love that touchdown.

Speaker 4 (01:12:10):
Kirk Cousins will have a rushing touchdown because everyone's expecting
it to go to Bijon.

Speaker 3 (01:12:15):
Jon will have it. He's gonna eat, he will have
his share, but Kirk Cousins will.

Speaker 5 (01:12:19):
Get one in all right? Do we want and over
under from Steve on this?

Speaker 2 (01:12:23):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (01:12:24):
No, maybe not so.

Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
That number is awfully high.

Speaker 5 (01:12:27):
I wish it was down a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
I can't and I'm even trying to think about some
wild prediction.

Speaker 5 (01:12:33):
I don't know why I wouldn't have.

Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
How about this?

Speaker 5 (01:12:37):
Uh oh, how about this?

Speaker 3 (01:12:40):
What are you about to say?

Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
Hold up?

Speaker 5 (01:12:43):
Let him cook? There will not be an interception thrown
by either team in this game? Wow?

Speaker 2 (01:12:51):
Interceptions in this gig? That predictions.

Speaker 5 (01:12:55):
Actually, that's pretty bold because both of those quarterbacks are.

Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
Well, they throw the ball a lot, and they throw interceptions.

Speaker 5 (01:13:01):
Well, they're both, they're both pretty much kind of not
I'm gonna make a.

Speaker 2 (01:13:05):
Bold prediction that there are zero interceptions thrown in this.

Speaker 5 (01:13:10):
Game dang it. I like it. That's bald. You get
with that?

Speaker 6 (01:13:13):
All right?

Speaker 5 (01:13:14):
All right, well we'll get We'll squeak in one more
before we go to break. We're gonna go my number two,
and it is the AFC side. It's the Dolphins with
Tuoa back at the Buffalo Bills. Forty nine and a
half is the over under? MANZI take it away.

Speaker 4 (01:13:29):
You know, I don't call me crazy. I really do
think this is an easy pick. And I think it's
the Bills winning at home against the Dolphins. I They're
gonna they are better than I anticipated, and I honestly,
I just think they are further ahead developing this season
than the Dolphins are because unfortunately they didn't have toa

(01:13:49):
for several weeks.

Speaker 3 (01:13:51):
To me, this is an easy pick. I take the Bills.

Speaker 5 (01:13:53):
I like the Bills as well.

Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
What's the over.

Speaker 5 (01:13:55):
Runner on this game? Forty nine and a half?

Speaker 2 (01:13:58):
Forty nine and a half?

Speaker 5 (01:14:02):
Are we going over under?

Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
I'm thinking about this game a lot numbers is again
it's a big number. Is a big number like twenty
seven to twenty four would be over.

Speaker 4 (01:14:15):
And it wasn't scoring just down in general when the
season started. But I feel like it's picked up, but
I agree it's it's a high number.

Speaker 5 (01:14:23):
We all I know is for him.

Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
Every time I go under, it goes over, and every
time Stimula go over, it goes under. I'm gonna I'm
gonna roll the dice on this one because we both
have buffalo in this game. But I'm gonna roll it
and I'm gonna go.

Speaker 5 (01:14:39):
Over. He's going over, lazy gentleman.

Speaker 2 (01:14:43):
I'm going over in this game. I think it's gonna
be a shootout game. I this spread, I would take
the Dolphins and the points. I'm not taking the Dolphins
to win the game. I think it's gonna be a
shootout game. And yeah, I could see twenty seven, twenty four,
twenty eight, twenty four, something along those lines. Now I'm
gonna go over. I like it. I like it.

Speaker 5 (01:15:00):
I'm gonna take no bolds on this one.

Speaker 3 (01:15:02):
I actually do have one for this one.

Speaker 4 (01:15:04):
I think I think the start because I feel like
this the Bills have relied a lot on James Cook.

Speaker 3 (01:15:09):
He's been so great. I actually think Khalil Shakir.

Speaker 4 (01:15:11):
Will be the standout offensive player for the Bills.

Speaker 2 (01:15:16):
That leading rusher over.

Speaker 3 (01:15:17):
One hundred yards.

Speaker 4 (01:15:19):
I know he's a receiver so over one hundred yards
in the air, and I say he gets a touchdown.

Speaker 5 (01:15:23):
Plus one touchdown. You know what, that's so specific, it's bold.

Speaker 6 (01:15:28):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (01:15:29):
You like that. I was gonna make a bold prediction.
But it's so dark that I can't do that, you know,
mister negativity. No, I'm not gonna do it. Don't do that,
all right, Coming up on the other set, One more
game to pick. This is Fox Football Saturday. Steve hartin

(01:15:50):
Montzie Belanio's Fox Sports Saturday. We're coming alive from the
tire rack dot Com studios. Want to thank our crew
to day, Martin doing a phenomenal job. Of course, he's
getting ready for his own show, Martin, that's right. The
little double duty today having to sit through is Wolverine's
getting blasted again. That's resigned himself.

Speaker 5 (01:16:07):
He says, that's it's the Ring's fine, just the ring. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:16:10):
Who's who's reigning national champions? My Michigan Wolverines. He's actually
Mary mac phenomenal. Uh said that she had to make
some pains. Didn't sleep right last night.

Speaker 11 (01:16:21):
You guys, my body, I'm twenty one. I feel like
a grandma, Like giving sixty.

Speaker 2 (01:16:27):
Okay, well it's terrible. Guess what when I was twenty one,
I felt the same way. Yeah, I think, but I
feel like you do your body.

Speaker 11 (01:16:34):
Yeah, your reasoning is a whole lot different from mine.

Speaker 5 (01:16:37):
I'm just working late nights.

Speaker 4 (01:16:38):
You were part of an inconsistent schedule that too, Yes, yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:16:42):
Uh yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:16:43):
One.

Speaker 2 (01:16:44):
You know, basically alcohol is ninety percent of your body
fluid in those days.

Speaker 3 (01:16:49):
Mine is like it's like less than one percent.

Speaker 6 (01:16:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:16:51):
Well, a different twenty one back in the day. And
of course Patrick, of course steers his ship. You came
in with some by the way, I see I walk in,
I see Patrick. He's there with Martin and he had
some very cool shades on, you know, indoor shades.

Speaker 4 (01:17:07):
Oh do you think we shades are cool things? Let
me let me let me put them on just for
all beyond. Yeah, you look like who does he look like?

Speaker 3 (01:17:15):
John Lennon?

Speaker 2 (01:17:16):
John?

Speaker 6 (01:17:17):
Who we look o?

Speaker 2 (01:17:20):
Joel Lennon? Very good.

Speaker 5 (01:17:23):
I'll very good John. Where's Yoko?

Speaker 2 (01:17:27):
No?

Speaker 5 (01:17:29):
I think we should move on to the last game
now very quick. By the way, right, yeah, all right,
what's the last game? Last game is uh, we have
the Lions at the Packers. We're going to Lambeau Field
here everybody, and it's forty seven and a half for
the over under, and I'm gonna go aeny meani miney monci.

Speaker 3 (01:17:50):
This one is is hard for me.

Speaker 4 (01:17:52):
It's actually the one I have the most notes on because, yeah,
like Detroit, we talked about it.

Speaker 3 (01:17:56):
They make it look easy, they really really do.

Speaker 4 (01:17:59):
But the Packers are also four seen turnovers like nobody's business,
and so it's I.

Speaker 3 (01:18:06):
Don't know which one is gonna come to a head.

Speaker 4 (01:18:09):
But like without Aiden Hutchinson, they've still sacked the quarterback
five times in two games without him. The Lions, I
know we talked with Adam Kaplan that they're gonna miss
him eventually. I think Jordan loves groin. A groin issue
is it can be really, it can be bothersome. I'm
going to take the Lions to win.

Speaker 3 (01:18:28):
I am.

Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
The Lions have not won a single outdoor game the
entire season. Of course, they haven't played an outdoor game
until this game at Lambeau. I'm gonna go with the
Packers in this game.

Speaker 3 (01:18:42):
You're gonna go with the Packers.

Speaker 2 (01:18:43):
The Lions a week ago did not look good with
their passing game.

Speaker 4 (01:18:48):
You want to talk about a week ago the Packers
won't on a walk off field goal against Jacksonville Jaguars.

Speaker 2 (01:18:52):
I understand, but they were looking ahead to the Lions game. Okay,
they had this one circled on their calendar. Under look
on a neutral field, I would take the Lions ten
out of ten times. Yeah, at Lambeau. I had one
chance to be at Lambo Lambo field.

Speaker 5 (01:19:10):
Do we have any bolds with this? Because they were
sounding pretty bold right now? To high?

Speaker 3 (01:19:15):
It's too high?

Speaker 4 (01:19:16):
Can I say that David Montgomery scores the first touchdown
of the game?

Speaker 3 (01:19:19):
Is that bold?

Speaker 5 (01:19:20):
Not bold?

Speaker 3 (01:19:20):
Is that just too?

Speaker 5 (01:19:21):
Because he does splits with with with they have the
whole sonic and knuckles thing, the split. I could say
that's bold. It's kind of like a bed.

Speaker 3 (01:19:29):
It is like a bed. It is You're right, you're right,
you're right, you're right.

Speaker 5 (01:19:33):
I could count it is that because it has to
be that first.

Speaker 2 (01:19:36):
I'm going to give you. I'll give you a bold,
give me it. Jared Goff scores two touchdowns. Jared Goff
scores two touchdowns. You're saying that's touchdown.

Speaker 3 (01:19:50):
Oh, he's saying rushing touch Oh, rushing touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:19:53):
Jared, you have to take Mine'll give you that. It
has to be much more. Fox Football Saturday, Conte
