a beautiful Sunday. Well, you know what, that's okay because
here we are in our Fox Sports Radio studios.

That was an interesting intro.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
But guess what we got more to tell you about
here at the top of the show today as we
get ready for three big hours here on a show
in which we are going to get ourselves ready for
the introduction of next week, and that is going to
be the debut of n Zone Radio. That's right, four
hours where we bring you up to date in the

(00:44):
moment of every single game going around the National Football League.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
So en Zone Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Will be starting next Sunday, VJ, you and I side
by side, getting ready for a huge NFL season. It's
every time we're at this point the week before, it's
a little overwhelming, you know, because we have the Thursday
and the Friday games, Right, We're gonna have eight games
next Sunday to kick things off. We'll get as many

(01:12):
as ten games early in the season. All simultaneously watching
the games going on, bringing up the analysis stats every
single thing you could possibly need we will provide on
end Zone Radio starting next Sunday.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
I'm super excited as always. What's going on, partner, How
you doing it? Doing it? How was the week?

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Man?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Everything good? Everything good? Except my UCLA Bruins last time.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
We're not gonna talk about it. I was gonna go
easy on you, but you bought it up before we
got on the air. But yes, man, And first of all,
I just want to say thank you to my man.
That's double up top for you know, choosing me to
do this with you. I'm super excited about it. Thank you,
Scott Shapiro Man for all the support, love and everybody
here at Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
It is greatly appreciated.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
This is something you know. I'm I'm so excited for this.
I don't think I've ever Stephen my Care had a
gig like this.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
I don't and I've done it and I've done a lot.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
And it's not a bragt I've done a ton, But
to be able to be with you in the voice
of you know, end Zone Radio, I mean this thing.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
NFL Football Sunday, here we go.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
We got a full slate of college real games yesterday,
US open Sweet sixteen today and tomorrow, Coco golf in,
Naomi gonna go head to ahead and now here it
is like we're here, like we are here, all the
fifty three nine rosters, all the chador talk, all the
quarterback talk. Here, Micah gets traded like we are here, ready, loaded,

(02:36):
locked in. I man, I don't even think I'm gonna
be able to sleep on Saturday nights for the next
four months.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
I don't. Well, you better get your rest.

Speaker 5 (02:44):
No.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
I remember a couple of years ago when we had
Monci in that outdate seed and we told her that
first week, get ready because it is crazy Bill, and
we got down to the very first update and she
her head was spinding. I mean, there's too many things
going on. But Bo Benson, our producer, will be here obviously,
Chris Murfett on the board, Moncey Belanos Uh, the usual

(03:06):
cast of characters, and we add now mister B. J.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Huskinsja welcome aboard. It is now known as end Zone Radio.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
We're also going to introduce you to a couple of
aspects that we're going to introduce this year on end
Zone Radio, including.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
The No Huddle Hour.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
You'll hear about that coming up and also PERFET picks
will continue during the NFL season as week, some picks
for games that will be coming on after the morning games,
an afternoon game, Sunday game, Monday game, we will have
our perfect pick.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
So it's going to be a very very busy year.

Speaker 6 (03:39):
We did finally also get the last standing PERFET pick
of the preseason done.

Speaker 7 (03:44):
Oh so let's get us out of the way right now,
perfect over under a half of flagrant.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Gentlemen, are your perfect picks.

Speaker 6 (03:58):
I just want to just because as a final score
of your reseason. So we finally got that Micah Parsons contract,
the new contract which you've been waiting for for like
months since we I put out this pick. Yes, contract
guaranteed value average per year forty three and a half
million over under. Steve took the over VJ. You took
the under. So going into the season, the final score

(04:20):
Steve twenty six VJA twenty four.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
All right, so twenty six twenty four.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
But we have a lot of future picks, and obviously
we're gonna have two bets preseason.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah, preseason, babe, the real season due to the Mats.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Right now, we got eighteen weeks of regular season football,
and then we got the postseason football and we have
our future picks. So there's a lot of picks ahead again,
perfect picks. All right, So before we get started today
and what we are going to do, by the way,
Shay is in today for Bow.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Now we are going to make.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Our predictions for all thirty two teams. Now, we don't
have a lot of time, so we're gonna have to
run through this fairly quickly as we'll go division by
winning divisions. So we're gonna have win totals. I know
the math may not add up perfectly, but if you
get some bulls eyes on your win totals, that'll be
big at the end of the season. Also, we're gonna

(05:12):
make predictions on which team will be in the playoffs,
division winners, wild cards, conference championship games, the whole shebang
over the course of the show today. But Shay, question
for you, do you have Bose picks or it.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Is annoyed you? After a couple of texts.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
And coro, alright, we're deciphering it in here with the
spinner wheel.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
All right, all right, so we'll start it.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
We'll start coming up here in the next segment. We're
gonna start with the AFC divisions, So get ready for
that opening segment. Though, we have to talk a little
bit about what happened yesterday first full Saturday at college football.
Some major upsets. I mean Clemson losing at home to LSU.
Where was Club Nick, a guy that's getting a lot
of Heisman height Alabama? It's as ev Kalen de War

(06:02):
was already under pressure getting blown out by a Florida
State team that was two and ten last year.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Well it was thirteen and three two years ago. Let's
make they were.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
They were, Well they were thirteen and one. Yeah, that
one loss was that bowl game that was what was
sixty five to seven and joined.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
I thirteen going into them choosing they were and they
got left out.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Yeah, but they were two and ten last year.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
So for Mike Norville, that was a big win for
him against Alabama. But the game that I literally watched
this game from beginning to end, which was very tough
because it was a very unwatchable football game that featured
number one Texas and number three Ohio State. And you know,
I have told you this as a Heisman voter, there's

(06:47):
no preseason Heisman poll for me, because it is a
season award, not a career award, will go a couple
of weeks in and then I'll start telling you where
I stand as far as the Heisman vote is concerned,
but considering height for arch Manning, and before I even
go any further, and then obviously I want to get
your breakdown on what we saw yesterday against Ohio State.

(07:10):
One unanswered question was, Okay, if arch Manning, who was
rated the number one high school quarterback in the country,
decided to go to the University of Texas, and yes
he has.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
The Manning name on top of that, why would he
have to sit.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
For two full years behind a quarterback who ended up
as a seventh round draft pick in the NFL, who
will never start a game in the NFL, who will
never start a game. So quinn Ewers for two years
was able to keep a kid that people are projecting
as a future first overall pick in the NFL draft,

(07:48):
a seventh round pick generation, which is what quinn Ewers
as a generational ballot, right on the bench for two years.
Am I missing something? Are you hiding something from a US?
Because the way that we saw Sark call the game
and his game plan for Ohio State yesterday look like

(08:08):
he was a coach that didn't fully trust his quarterback.
And that's shocking considering he has tutored this kid in
his system for the last two years and now he
has a chance to unveil what we have in store
with Arch Manning, and he seemed to be a coach
that was afraid to green light his quote unquote superstar quarterback.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
So before I even make any comments about arts in
a game, just understand I like this kid, like I'm
pulling for him. I hope that the Colts and the
Saints duel to the death of taking this year and
in hopes of drafting his kid. Why it's obvious art.
Did the grandfather play with the Saints and the uncle
played with it? That would be a crazy right.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
He's in New Orleans because his father has lived a right.
But then his really to Payton Manning played for the coach.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
I hold these two teams dual to the death of
taking so they could draft this kiss. I'm really pulling
for him, But what I saw yesterday, it's hard for
me to put my finger on because I think the
easy thing to do is to blame Sark. But you
and I have used the word with quarterbacks that are
in situations recently over the last month, I think it's
I'm gonna start. This is the Steven VJ word for

(09:23):
quarterbacks when you really think they've turned the corner and
there in a better situation.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
They look comfortable. They look comfortable.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Trey Lens looks comfortable now with the Jimmy Burgers, Jim Harball,
who is a quarterback savant type of guy, he looked
uncomfortable even in his rhythm throws. The Joel Klatt it
was on our network, so are our great colleague Joe
clad Gus Johnson did a tremendous job, as they always do,
and he mentioned even on just when he's supposed to
let it go on his timing throws, he's not letting

(09:53):
it go.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
I can't blame Sark, I can't blame the coach for that.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
The player on the field is always going to have
to make the plays.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
And he looked just really uncomfortable.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Now, Start didn't help him by just leaning on what
I think might be.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
The best running back room in the nation.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
These three kids are all NFL style running backs at
Texas that they have right now, and I think what
he's figured was we're on the road, hostile environment, really
good defense. Caleb Downs is probably the best defender in
the nation in college football. Transer from Alabama, number one
or number two recruit when he was coming he's definitely
the number one defensive player when he was coming out
of high school, highly recruited. You have him on the

(10:32):
back end, he's locking that down. You have this front
seven that's monstrous. You got linebackers that could fly around.
And maybe he thought, all, I got this running game
in his power running game, so I'm going to run
the ball and take the pressure off of my kid.
But you had to rebuild your offensive line. You lost
two of those guys won a top ten pick in
NFL draft. So even though you got the backs, you
don't have the trenches. Why not let this kid sling

(10:53):
this thing a little bit. Why not let this kid
get the ball out of his hands. And I thought
that that just snowballed and snowed ball four him the
fourth and goal play, they get zero push up front.
He doesn't stand a chance to get that half yard.
I said, right then and there, his game's over. They're
they're not going to come back and win this game.
They just don't have it in the trenches. So arch
for as hyped as it was, we gotta be honest

(11:15):
and keep it real across the board. That's an f
man for what we were told he was supposed to be.
His throws were off, he and he just looked.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
He looked shell shocked yesterday shocked. And again I would
have come out firing.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
I would have.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Put Ohio State on their heels. I understand what you're saying.
There's inexperience on that Texas offensive front. Yes, they have
some insanely talented running backs, but this game was about
arch Man.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
And you getting him in rhythm.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
So even if he comes out firing early and missfireus
a few, get that passing game going instead of putting him.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
In third and long.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
By the way, Ohio State didn't always bring the heat.
He had time to throw the ball many times, but
like you said, he was refusing to let go the
checking down, checking down, checking out all right, very quickly.
Next three games from Texas home games against San Jose State,
UTEP and Sam Houston.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
So you know he's gonna have three game game. You
know he's gonna put up huge numbers and maybe he'll
get back on it.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
But yeah, very very disappointing opening game there for arch Manning.
All right, coming up on the other side, we're gonna
get started, a lot of things to get.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Done in a short amount of time.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
We're gonna kick things off with AFC Predictions and we'll
start with the AFC East.

Speaker 1 (12:27):

go on record with our predictions? Is everybody ready to go?
Is Mansei ready to go? She's working on it right now.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
We're gonna be going division by division.

Speaker 10 (14:18):
Well, what we're starting with the AFC, what.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Eastfcas Okay, go last, again, I need win totals for
each of the four teams. They're going to go one
division per segment. So you got a little time here.
So you got one division, four teams. Give me win totals. Obviously,
with the win totals, we'll know who you're picking to
win your division. By the way, if you do have
two teams tied with a win total at the top

(14:44):
of the division, designate which one you believe will win
the division. And then at the end of that, tell
us if any of the teams in that division you
can see as one of the three wild cards that
is in each conference.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
All right, so i'll tell you what j Since this
is going to be your.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
First year of this, let's get started with you right now,
because I know of your love of at least one
team in this division. I'll remind everybody, by the way,
at the top the totals they won a year ago.
So last year in the AFC, East Buffalo won thirteen games,
Miami won eight, the Jets won five.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
New England won four.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Obviously, the Bills were the only team in this division
to get to the postseason.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
All right, so.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
VJ, let's start with you and your predictions for the
AFC East.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
All right, So the AFC East for me, we played
probably get some NFL background music going for this right here. Man,
I'm s so hyped out right now. But anyway, so
we AFC East. I'm not gonna overthink this, Okay. The
Buffalo Bills are the Buffalo Bills. They have Josh Allen.
Josh Allen is a top five six quarterback of wherever
you have them or wherever you want to rank them,
and this defense is still good. They get Jordan Poyer back,

(15:55):
who spit last year with the Dolphins, and we've seen
that happen in the NFL before leaves because he's just
grown up about his contract, goes to a rival and
then realizes, you know what, I don't like the food
down here, and I don't like the traffic. I'm going
back home. So that's going to help out the back
end of their defense. And they've been able to run
the ball a lot better than they did the previous
three years up until last year where they finished less

(16:16):
than twenty fifth in the NFL one year twenty third,
but then like twenty four to twenty five and twenty
six and rushing.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
They did fix that a lot. Last year.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
They get Baltimore, Kansas City, the Bengals, and Philly all
at home, hard.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
Tough teams that we all believe in.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
But the schedule makers, you know, cut a back door
deal with somebody to get all those teams have to
go up to the Orchard Parking and they don't even
have the new stadium open yet, so they got to go.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Up there and play in the old stadium.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
So I like him at thirteen and four because I
feel like there's there's two overblown stories in the AFC.
I believe this year that I'll get into later in
our AFC prediction. As we go through the divisions, they
still have Josh Allen reigning the MVP. I think, not
being a fan and just being a football analysts, I
like thirteen and four. I believe they win this division

(17:02):
again because they have the better football team and they
have the better track record right now. The other three
teams are trying to piece things together, and that brings
me to my mighty Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
I have the Miami Dolphins at eleven and six.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
I love the way their schedule starts at the Colts, Pats,
at the Bills, Jets, Panthers.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
They come out of that four and one.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
You come out of that four and one and oos
aka my man Tua still on the field. They're good money.
All TWA does when he plays, guys' win ten plus games.
When he doesn't play Miami. Think about he missed eight
games last year, they won eight games. They won eight games.
They played four quarterbacks last year and still managed to
win a games. Why because of Anthony Weaver in this defense.
And that's why I like eleven and six. This was

(17:42):
the top ten defense last year. They're gonna finish top
six to top five this year. There's a player I
won't say his name yet, but my comeback player of
the year is on this defense. My prediction for this year,
I thought Tyreek Hills last year, where people were like,
oh yeah, down, yeah, yeah. You go play with four
quarterbacks and let's see what happens. Because the two years
he's played with Tour, all we've seen him do is
have over eighteen hundred receiving yards.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
So if TA stays on the field, that's the main thing.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
And then the running game. The running game needs to
get back to number one in the league like it
was two years ago. And I think this rookie out
of Oklahoma State is a beast.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
I did. This kid is legit, he's big, he's fast,
he's strong.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
And then you got a change still in there also
to my only question about this offense is who's gonna
be the number three? That's the problem they've had the
last right. I'm going to tell you right now, VJ.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
None of us are going to be getting our picks
in here as I'm on the Miami Dolphins entire.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
It wasn't the entire ross like you were just saying,
all right, I.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Eleven six. Obviously you think they're going to be a
wild card. Yeah, okay, Jackson, New England, how are you picking.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
The judges of seven in ten?

Speaker 3 (18:47):
I believe in I believe in Aaron Glenn and they
have a good defense and Justin Fields is enough to
run around and win you a few games, uh and
make some plays. I like them at seven in ten.
Give me the Pats at four and thirteen. I don't
believe in. I don't believe in May. I just don't
quarterbacks out of Carolina ever done well in the NFL,
so I'm not gonna go against it again this time.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
All right, they're rebuilding a lot there.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
So you got the Bills winning the division, got Miami
as a solid wildcard with eleven wins. Chris, here, we're
gonna go up to you. Now word your run down
here on the teams in the AFC East.

Speaker 6 (19:13):
All right, let's start at the top. I also have
the Bills winning this division. There's no reason to question
them at this point. I think their schedule is a
little bit harder. Having that Eagles game late in the year.
Is some big woolf. Twelve and five though, enough to
win this division. In my mind, a lot of these
teams are just kind of down on their luck and
too obviously rebuilding. I like the Patriots and this plan

(19:35):
Mike Vrabel in place. I believe Drake maybe will upgrade
to Drake May to Drake Will possibly in the future
Travon Henderson. So I'm gonna slot them in. I think
this is a good bounce back year. I'm gonna say
they're nine and eight. Also at eight and nine will
be the New York Jets, who I look I'm not
sold on Justin Fields, their quarterback, but I think you know,

(19:57):
that's a solid defense. I'll at least have there, and
you've at least got Aaron Glenn and some growing pains there. Actually,
I'll bump them down to seven and ten instead of
eight and nine, seven and ten, but last bumping up
this and I am sorry VJ, butpog don't. I don't
see this working out for Mike McDaniel, and I think
there's new need for new air down in the down
in the winds of South Beach. The Dolphins are going

(20:19):
to go six and eleven. Wow, wow, all right, what
do you have Shae for Bo?

Speaker 11 (20:25):
So Bo sent me his AFC winners and the wild
card winners. So I gave him the Dolphins and Jets.
Ones what I thought Bo would do, So he gave
the Bills and Pats. So Bills are going to be
a thirteen win team, Pats are going to be a
ten win team.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
And then this is me thinking what Bo would say.

Speaker 11 (20:41):
Okay, Dolphins, I think he would agree with Chris here.
They've been working for a long time. So six, six,
six and eleven and then Jets. They just got Justin Fields,
who he hates.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
I think they're gonna be a five win team. Wow. Okay,
I like those picks.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
All right, So right, but he has New England as
a wildcard.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
He has New England as a WILDCALLCA, So that's.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
A wildcard out of that division, Chris. No wildcard out
of the division is the Bills.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
All right? So MANSI, how does your asse East look?
All right?

Speaker 12 (21:13):
So I have the Bills winning the division as well,
but I think they will be twelve and five by
the end of it.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Okay.

Speaker 12 (21:20):
I think there's just gonna be a you know, a
trap game out there, maybe that we.

Speaker 10 (21:23):
Don't expect them to lose.

Speaker 12 (21:25):
Aside from maybe the obvious ones, I don't think there.

Speaker 10 (21:28):
Is a wildcard out of this division.

Speaker 12 (21:30):
I will say though, I think the Patriots end with
the next best record at nine and eight, and I
really think the Dolphins and the Jets and six and eleven.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Wow wow, Jay, Okay, hold on, hold on. He showed
me who you were, all right, Sorry, showed you who
you were.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
So the way I see this division is I think
Buffalo is on an absolute mission this year, okay. And
I think that they actually step up a notch. Fourteen
wins and what to me is the weakest division from
the top down. Fourteen and three for the Bills. I'm
actually gonna give the Dolphins one more one. I got
him at seven and ten. They will finish second in

(22:11):
the division. Backing off your prediction, New England is moving
up a little bit from four wins to sax.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
They got him at six and eleven.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
The Jets, I'm sorry, the Jets are the Jets, and
it's going to be another miserable year for the Jets.
Four and thirteen will be the Jets. So obviously the
only team I have coming out of the afcast will
be the division champion Buffalo Bills. All right, coming up
on the other side, we're going to switch gears to
the AFC North AFC North guys, But first let's find

(22:41):
out what is a trending right now? Is Montse's working
on her fixed I know I'm trying to do updates
at the same time, a little bit.

Speaker 12 (22:47):
Of everything, but I can tell you Aaron Judge just
hit home run number forty three on the season. So
the Yankees are up on the White Sox one zero.
It's the top of the second inning there, Guardians on
the scoreboard first against some Mariners at home, two zero
after three in means the Mets are losing at home
to the Marlins three zero bottom of the third, Blue
Jays and Brewers back to a tie at four a piece.
Bottom of the third. Brandon Lao hit a grand slam

(23:09):
for the Rays. They're on top of the National seven
to one. Top of the fourth. The Twins have added
another run. They're blanking the Padres three zero bottom of
the fifth. Pirates up on the Red Sox one zero
bottom of the fourth, and the Red Sox the Reds
excuse me how, a six to four lead over the
Cardinals at home. Other baseball news, Guardians pitchers Emmanuel Class
and Luis ertise they're going to remain on the non
disciplinary paid leave until further notice. Well while that gambling

(23:30):
investigation continues. The league announced today. When it comes to
NFL news, the Cowboys have signed cornerback darn Blant to
a four year, ninety two million dollar extension with fifty
million guaranteed. At the US Open, we've got on the ladies'
side Jess Pegoula, who was the fourth seed.

Speaker 10 (23:45):
She won her fourth round match in straight sets.

Speaker 12 (23:47):
She's headed to the quarterfinals for a second straight year,
Pegula has yet to drop a set in this year's tournament.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
Wow.

Speaker 12 (23:54):
Maybe Yeah, she made it to the quarter she made
She was the runner up last year at this tournament,
but has not dropped a set.

Speaker 10 (24:01):
That's impressive.

Speaker 13 (24:02):
Back to us, Back to us, Yes, here on Fox
Football Sunday, once again, we're in the Fox Sports Radio studios,
running down our predictions were on record for the victory
totals for all thirty two teams across the National Football
League here in.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
This twenty twenty five season, and of course getting ready
to debut End Zone Radio with.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
All of us coming up next Sunday.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
All right, let's move to the AFC North guys, and
we're going to keep the same order just to keep
things simple. So VJ, you'll be batting leadoff each round.
So reminder, last year in the AFC North, the Ravens
won the division with twelve wins, The Steelers had ten wins,
did get in as a wild card. Cincinnati nine wins,

(24:44):
missed the playoffs, and the Browns were three and fourteen
team missing the playoffs. All right, VJ, how do you
look at the AFC North for this upcoming season?

Speaker 1 (24:53):
I like Baltimore I think Baltimore is on a mission.
You said Buffalo's on one.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
I got Baltimore on one two because of the throws
the last two years, and this team is just absolutely
loaded with Lamar and then of course Derek Garmt give
me thirteen and far fourteen and three, because I do.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
I think this team. They have a great.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Defense and have Kyle Helmlinton on the back end, and
this teams loaded, man, they really are. They got a
lot of guys back that were knocked out and gamed
up last year. I'm gonna go with the Bengals in
second place here at ten and seven. I do think
this offense is good enough to get to you know,
nine or ten wins. I don't believe they'll start one
and four like they've done the last back to back years.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
I believe it is where they just set themselves back.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
But the defense is just gonna give up a lot
of points twenty six per last year, and they gave
up one hundred and thirty seven rushing first downs, so
they can't get off the field last year. But you know,
the offense is loaded. I think they're good enough for
ten wins. I got Cleveland here at seven and eleven. Wow,
to give me six and eleven. I had Cleveland here
at six eleven. I think the eleven losses, that's a
bad football team. They're gonna have so much quarterback controversy.

(25:54):
Flat gos not last in the entire year.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
By the way, we were talking yesterday about their first
six games. Yeah, I mean, is Flacco even going to
survive those first six games?

Speaker 3 (26:02):
Cincinnati, Baltimore, Green Bay, Detroit, Minnesota is their first five
half fun.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
At Pittsburgh is their six game. I mean they have crushed.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
Them anymore with that opening, No wonder you want to
make sure that the rookies are not out there.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
Black.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
I don't know how he's going to hide those six games.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
And you're worried about who throw it to a Djoku
Judy and Bond the rookie. And then Pittsburgh I have
them bringing up the rear here at you know, possibly
five and twelve, six eleven. I just think Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
Is gonna wait, we gotta go on the record five
and twelve or six and eleven, Uh, give me six
at eleven, six and eleven for the Pittsburgh Sts.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
Mike Tomlin's very first ever losing season as a head coach.
Guse I just believe Aaron Rodgers. I predicted it with
the Jets. He's gonna tear that thing to the ground,
and that's what he did. He's gonna do the exact
same thing to Pittsburgh and they've given weapons away. DK
metcalf is a dev and I think we've seen his
best receiving days.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
All right, do you have a wild card out of
that division?

Speaker 3 (26:59):
Yes, I think since Natty at ten and seven slides
in because I got a couple of eight, nine, nine
in AFC teams.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
Okay, so he's got the Bengals in as a wild card.
He's got the Ravens winning division. Chris, you're up next.

Speaker 6 (27:10):
I I am desperately looking for reasons the Ravens won't
win this division because I think I am a bored
at this point. I think with a healthy Joe Burrow,
I think with weapons locked up and Trey Hendrickson with
a new contract, I like the Bengals and like, look
how many of these games, like even with Joe Burrow,
heard as much as they were, and some just awful losses.

(27:32):
They made it to nine and eight last year. I'm
putting the Bengals at thirteen and four. Wow, I am
going to back Cincinnata. I'm going to back the Cincinnasty
and the nasty with that defense. Crown and went aner
erupship people with that defense. Thirteen and four yeah, wow, Wow, Yeah.
I think I think, I think they'll be energized. I
very good put it all together. Who knows Ravens still

(27:53):
making the playoffs at eleven and six, though, I think
they will take a step back. I think a lot
of that will be on the offense at this point,
which is just kind of getting long in the tooth. Steelers, Steelers, Steelers, Steelers,
this is it. I really feel for Mike Tomlin. But
you got in bed with a man who can't throw
the football anymore. Seven and ten.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (28:13):
And the Browns there's chaos, just just chaos. Rains four
and thirteen.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Wow, four and thirteen for the Browns. All right, Shaye
what he got for Bo?

Speaker 11 (28:22):
So he gave me Ravens and Ravens are actually gonna
be at the top of this with twelve. The rest
are gonna be a complete guest from me. So, Bo,
I hope I know you as well as I do.
So Bengals are gonna come in second place with eight
wins on the season.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
I have a feeling he's a Joe Burrow fan.

Speaker 11 (28:37):
I don't know why, but he seems like he would
be Steelers, We're gonna come in with the same exact
thing with eight wins. I have a feeling he would
talk a lot of bad things about Russell Wilson in
this scenario. So I don't think they will go over
the Bengals, and that's Russell the Steelers.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
Oh wait, not Steelers, sorry, okay, but the.

Speaker 11 (28:55):
Residual Rogers, not like Rogers.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
And now and then the Browns.

Speaker 11 (29:03):
I don't agree with this, but I think he would
give them four wins.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Four wins, yeah, all right, four wins for the Cleveland Browns.
All right, Monzi, how are you looking at your AFC
North right now?

Speaker 10 (29:14):
All right?

Speaker 12 (29:15):
So I think the Ravens do win the division. I
think it's gonna be twelve and five or thirteen and four.
But let's let's let's go twelve and five. Let's go
twelve and five. That's what I'm gonna stick with. But
Ravens win the division. I think the Bengals get in
as a wild card. And I also I wrote down
twelve and five looking at their schedule, just like, I

(29:37):
think they have a more favorable schedule then.

Speaker 10 (29:41):
Because obviously how they ended last year.

Speaker 12 (29:42):
But like, I have the Bengals at twelve and let's
let's not get crazy. Let's put the Bengals at eleven
and six. Let's don't get crazy crazy, Let's.

Speaker 10 (29:52):
Not get too crazy.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
It's only two more wins than last year they were not.

Speaker 10 (29:56):
Yeah, but that's how close they were to making the playoffs, right, I.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Mean when you think about some of their losses last year.

Speaker 12 (30:02):
I lost to the to the Ravens by three if
I remember, at the end there, so it's like they.

Speaker 10 (30:07):
Can get there. So I have the Steelers.

Speaker 12 (30:10):
At eight and nine, so, yeah, a losing season for
the first time for Mike Tomlin as well.

Speaker 10 (30:16):
I have the Browns winning five.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
Wow, you got five? Are five?

Speaker 12 (30:20):
I think off it's a little bit of a Shay
running off, but.

Speaker 10 (30:24):
I'm gonna give them five wins five and twelve.

Speaker 12 (30:27):
But yeah, Ravens win the division, Bengals get in as
a wild card.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
All right.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
I'm not different a lot from you guys. I'm pretty
close here. I actually have the Ravens and the Bengals
both at eleven and six. Nice, So the division winner
will be the Ravens. Yes, the Bengals.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Will get in as a wild card.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
And look, I'm the only guy that's gonna say this,
Mike Tom and streak will continue nine and eight for
the Steelers and won't be good enough to get in
the CLO. But they'll barely. He finds a way. He
just finds a way every year.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
Week seven.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
It's gonna literally come down to the last week. So
he's gonna eke it out at nine and eighteen. And
for the Browns, I I you know, we're talking about
which games are gonna be watching next Sunday morning. I
can't wait to see the Browns. I just want to
see what we got, of course with the Browns. But yeah,
it's gonna be a rough year. I don't know how
long they're gonna keep Flacco in there. But it's not

(31:22):
gonna matter the first six games either. You're staring at
oh and six right out of.

Speaker 11 (31:26):
The in the Bengals one hundred percent. I'll tell you
that right now. What's that being? The Bengals one hundred
percent are not beings that first game. They're way in hell.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
That show I was about to go to that.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
When you guys are talking about Cincinnati, do you guys
have a little way, Chris, you have way too much
confidence in Cincinnati guys and their their first six. He's
right at Cleveland, we don't know what we're getting open
and Sunday, guys, we look at the schedule and a
lot of times we don't get the names, and we
just go right. He's fresh. He's like, if there's a
game for him to come out, it's on the road.

(32:02):
The Browns have a really good defense. Cincinnati is not
gonna win.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
Cincinnati is a really good offense. They're not gonna walk
up and down the field in week one.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
In week one when everybody is still getting And you
know as well as I do early in the NFL,
and we saw it in college yesterday, defenses are ahead
of offenses when you first start this season because defenses
go harder through training camp, they go harder through the offseason.
Offenses go a little lighter. It takes them to get going.
But Cincinnati's first six at Cleveland, Jacksonville, but at Minnesota,

(32:34):
at Denver, Detroit, Green Bay, guys, that's monsters for their first.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
Six with that defense.

Speaker 10 (32:41):
Look at these.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
Offens in Minnesota's offense, Denver's offense, Detroit's offense, Green Bay's offense.
They better be one of those games. Thirty seven to
thirty five.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
Oh, I don't have them winning at all, but I
do think guy the end, they'll be an eleven and six. Look,
but Joe Burrow is on an absolute mission, and they're
gonna show it against Cleveland.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
I'm sorry the Browns. It's gonna be a rough I'm.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
With you on that. I'll take it out. I'll take
Cleveland a week one to get into that.

Speaker 10 (33:07):
He got paid. He don't even care anymore.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
You guys, can you can make a bull.

Speaker 12 (33:11):
You don't even care anymore. He got paid, he wanted to,
he wanted out. You just cared about money. You ain't
worried no more. He's got nothing approved.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
That's interesting.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
But I still think he comes out he destroys.

Speaker 10 (33:23):
There is no there's no fire.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
He got paid. A rivalry. It's a rivalry game. We
always show up Brown already, We'll see. I'm ready for
football seasons all right. By the way, I will say
this Miles.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
Garrett, Miles Garrett and our own Adam Kaplan. He was
in camp and he says, every once in a while,
you watch a player that just literally next level. Miles
Garrett as great as he's been, he's on a track,
obviously to the Hall of Fame. What he saw in
camp this year scary because like he went from insanely
great to scary level.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
He is unblocked. So we'll see how that plays out.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
All right, Coming up on the other side, guys, we'll
switch gears and go to the a FC South.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
We'll break it all down. Coming up.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
You will that somebody's got to win that division. I
guess this is Fox Football Sunday. Please don't listening to
Fox Sports Radio Radio, Harbin and Husky Fox Football Sunday
in the Fox Sports Radio studios. It is the week
before the debut of End Zone Radio next week.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
So we're getting our picks in. Everybody on board.

Speaker 2 (34:34):
Bo is uh really trusting Shay to make a lot
of his predictions in terms of wins, So we'll see
how that plays out for him. All right, guys, we
got two divisions done, six to go. Let's go to
the AFC South. Last year was not a pretty year
for the AFC South, to say the least. The Houston
Texans won the division at ten and seven, the Colts

(34:57):
were eight and nine. Jacksonville all had a disastrous here
last year at four and thirteen, and the Titans, yeah,
they were every bit that bad at three and fourteen.
All right, So, by J, how do you look at
this AFC South?

Speaker 3 (35:13):
This is easy for me. Let's take the Texans at
ten and seven. I'm gonna go buy what they've done
the last two years. I still question whether CJ. Stroud
is legit. First five at the Rams, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville,
the Texans Baltimore than at Seattle. At Baltimore and at Seattle,
that's a tough start. I like them here. I just
think this division should be winnable for them and at

(35:34):
ten and seven, and they have the defense to do
it also too, and they have the running game to
do it too. That should make CJ a little more
come away in the second place. Give me the Jacksonville
Jaguars here. I think they rebound, but not enough. I
like them at eight and nine because this is just
all on Trevor Lawrence this year. I don't care about
no other player. Nobody else is there. Trevor Lawrence, along
with two of Josh Lamar are the four quarterbacks in
my eyes, that have the most to show the world

(35:55):
this season off for particular different reasons, but those are
the top four quarterbacks. I think they have this show
the most in the AFC. Give me Tennessee at six
and eleven. I think cam Ward's better than we've given
them credit.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
War Wow.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
We all we talked about is Shador Sanders, Like, honestly,
that's my guy. But we missed the fact that the
number one overall pick it's down in Tennessee. The revampus
of things. They are like some of the speeding, the
weapons they have, they're the defensive solid. They don't suck
on the defensive side of all. They just couldn't move
the ball last year. Putting the ends on that's the
name of the game.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
And give me the coat who at three and fourteen
don't believe in Daniel Jones.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
Oh my god, this is the worst quarterback room in
the league.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
If i'm them, I am fighting to the death and
a duel with the Saints for well, I don't know
if theyday, but it'll get better for arch Man if
he decides to come out.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
That's how have that division set up? All right?

Speaker 2 (36:42):
So no wild cards obviously, just the Texans as the
division moser and moving on to the postseason. All right, Chris,
what he got here in the AFC South funny enough.

Speaker 6 (36:51):
I'm pretty sure I have the same order of VJ here.
It's just a little bit different in numbers. I do
think the Texans are in at eleven and six. I
think that is a solid offense across there. I know
there's questions about Stroud, but like everything else on their
weapons has been nothing short. We don't even talk enough
about the Texans defense. That defense is extremely solid. We
all forget about the high draft picks that they've had

(37:12):
that's developed into a great defense there. The Jaguars are
just narrowly going to miss the playoffs. Ten and seven.
I think this is a good I'm trying not to buy.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
Two a second.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Did you pick them to win this division? You play
them in Super Bowl last year?

Speaker 3 (37:28):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (37:28):
Yeah? He had the Cowboys that was this is not yeah,
and I'm glad he did. I had winning the Super Bowl.
Ten and seven.

Speaker 6 (37:36):
I do think maybe we finally it's just enough for
us to finally put some juice back into the Trevor
Lawrence train. The Titans are going five and twelve. I
just I think him Ward might be a good future
for them, But that team is like island of misfit toys,
old wide.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
Receivers who were good seven years ago.

Speaker 6 (37:55):
The Colts four and thirteen Wow, tinue to rue the
day they screwed up everything with Anthony Richard Schniks just
sad for a year. You should have kept developing him,
but no, you had to throw him in. You had
to blow up everything you had to do with the
dumbest stuff imaginable. All right, what are the bow picks here?

Speaker 1 (38:12):
Shaite?

Speaker 11 (38:13):
So Bo went ahead and had the Texans making it
with a ten win and they'll win the AFC South
with that. I'll go next with the Jaguars with seven wins,
so three more than last year. I don't know how
much Boat trust Trevor Lawrence, and it seems like this
might be his last year.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
It really prove himself.

Speaker 11 (38:28):
Tight Ends are going to be a six win team.
I think cam Ward will basically have his rookie games,
and then obviously he'll have those games where like, oh,
this guy has a future in the NFL, and then
the Colts.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
I'm gonna agree with Chris Pophetti here a four win team.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
That is brutal, right, MONSI, what do you got here for?
The AFC suck?

Speaker 3 (38:45):
All right?

Speaker 12 (38:46):
So I think the Texans also win this division. I
understand VJ with CJ strad like the questions.

Speaker 10 (38:54):
I get that. I get that.

Speaker 12 (38:55):
So but I'm giving him and ten and seven and
they win the division. I think the Titans improve a
smitch from last year, but not a lot. I actually
think they end dead last in the division. The Titans
six and eleven. I have the Jaguars also doing a
little bit better, but not as much.

Speaker 10 (39:14):
Have them at eight and eleven.

Speaker 12 (39:16):
I have eight nine, Sorry, Aiden, and I'm sorry, I'm sorry,
right things Ada nine?

Speaker 10 (39:21):
Sorry? And then I have the Colts.

Speaker 12 (39:24):
Got me crazy, But I think Jonathan Taylor hasn't played
with the quarterback that can throw the ball a little
bit better than Anthony Richardson. And I think Jonathan Taylor
is going to carry a lot of this Colts offense.

Speaker 10 (39:35):
And I think the Colts nine and eight.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
Nine and eight are they a wild card?

Speaker 10 (39:39):
I can't figure that out just yet.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
Okay, okay, we'll figure that out, all right.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
I am sort of with you, Monci, but not to that, No, no, no,
I every one seems to be sat with the Texans
at ten and seven.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
That seems to be.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
But I think the Colts they still have some pretty
solid guys in the trenches, so I think that they'll
go seven and ten. They were eight to nine last year.
They'll be down a notch. Jags will bump up a
little bit from four and thirteen. They'll also be at
seven and ten. And I'm with you on cam Ward.
I like cam Ward, but it's gonna be a rough
start for him. But there's a future there. I do

(40:14):
believe there's a future four and thirteen as the Titans
will bring up the rear. So there we go as
far as that division. Maybe Montsi has a wild card,
the rest of us have zero one.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
I'll let you know wild card zero. To the point
up on the Titans.

Speaker 3 (40:31):
There you said old receivers, but is Calvin Rially and
Tyler Lockett. Those are also locker room guys, and those
are also guys that have helped some of these younger
receivers get prepared like that matters in the NFL too,
have these veterans in there. But I don't know where
you guys see this thing with the coltsman they're gonna
be terrible, guys.

Speaker 12 (40:48):
I just am curious to see if j Daniel Jones
with the guy that's you know, going to open up
the field for him.

Speaker 1 (40:54):
Daniel Jones. At some point somebody saw something in this guy.

Speaker 2 (40:58):
You did get a playoff win. They're not gonna be great,
but they'll be better than that.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
All right.

Speaker 2 (41:02):
Coming up on the next DOW will wrap up the
AFC and dig into the NFC as well.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
This is Fox Football Sunday, all right, rolling along here on.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
This edition of Fox Football Sunday once again in our
Fox Sports Radio studios. If you're just tuning in today,
get ready because next week in Zone Radio we'll make
its debut VJ.

Speaker 1 (41:25):

Speaker 1 (42:01):
There's no radio show like it. We dominate and that's
why we are ready for end Zone Radio.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
By the way, we'll introduce Are No Huddle Hour, the
perfect Picks will be back, or we'll make predictions VJ
and I of afternoon games Sunday night, Monday night games for.

Speaker 1 (42:19):
The following week.

Speaker 2 (42:20):
So it is a fully loaded edition of end Zone
Radio four hours starting next Sunday. So we kick off
the games such the start is always a sit there.
And you know, because we do have the Thursday game,
in the Friday game, we're gonna have eight games kicking
off simultaneously. The adrenaline is pumping and off we go.

(42:41):
I mean, you talk about Vjay. You know we've been
doing the show for several years. I mean, it's like
the fastest four hours ever. I mean I've done, you know,
countless hours obviously a radio but those four hours when
we get into the NFL season is absolutely nuts. And
as we get to the third hour, which is going
to be Are No Huddle Hour, and you get three

(43:02):
or four games that are coming down in the wire
We're right, like, what and it happens every year. Well,
we'll have games every week, I say every week you
have games that you know early on you're like, okay,
this is one game we can turn off. This game
is over. And then all of a sudden we are
watching other games and I'm like, the hell happened over here?
They were up three touchdowns, are tied?

Speaker 1 (43:23):
What turn?

Speaker 5 (43:25):
Wait?

Speaker 1 (43:25):
Well, hold on, switch gears, guys going to that game.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
So that happens every single week. So we can't wait
for again the debut of end Zone Radio coming up
next Sunday. So in the meantime, we are putting our
predictions down. Okay, you know you can always say well
I thought, no, no, no, We're on the record here
as far as our preseason predictions.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
So let's do the final division in the AFC.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
Guys, and then we'll recap all of our AFC picks
and our division winners and our wildcard teams. The AFC
West loaded they were last year. Kanas City Chiefs AFC
champions were fifteen and two, The Chargers were eleven and six.
They were a wild card team. The Broncos were ten
and seven. They were a wild card team, and the
Raiders brought up the rear at four and thirteen. So

(44:13):
VJ once again, we'll start with you your picks for
the AFC West.

Speaker 3 (44:18):
Our favorite conference in division all off season long, because
we just think this is the year somebody's gonna unseat
the Chiefs. I'm not going there yet. I'm not ready
to go to there. Give me the Chiefs to hold
off the challengers who want this division and want the
AFC crown the way they've held on to it. I
think they have another explosive year fourteen and three. And

(44:39):
that's because I think Pat Mahomes is pretty ticked off
and all the talk that he's heard all off season,
and they still have Spags defense. They still have Spags defense.
They still have a top five Corner McDuffie, they still
have the best defensive linemen and football and christ Joanes like,
they still have weapons and now No Rice is gonna
be out.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
But you know, exaber.

Speaker 3 (44:56):
Worthy, some of these other young players that they've been
they've been nursering and they've been getting ready to take
this mental I just think that the defense and then
Andy Reid and Mahomes.

Speaker 1 (45:08):
Is enough to hold off all challengers.

Speaker 3 (45:10):
Just one more year before someone snatches it away from
them at twelve and five. Give me the Chargers and
Jimmy Bergers then went eleven and six last year. They're
gonna add to that this year. They're bigger, faster, stronger,
They're a better football team. And I just love Justin Herbert.
I think bringing back Keenan Allen's Big Lads one and
the number one score defense in the NFL last year.
Didn't lose anything from that defense. They added to it.

(45:33):
They replaced the running backs, and I love the Titus
Denver kind of sits where they were, but just a
game or two back. I got them at eight and nine.
I just I don't believe in bow Knicks just yet.
They snuck it to the playoffs, and the thing go oh,
they got to the playoffs, they got to the player
they did, but they didn't they didn't like ride in there.
Some other teams kind of fell flat the last three
weeks and they and they snugget but.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
They got in.

Speaker 3 (45:55):
But I got the Raiders also right there with them
at eight and nine, and I think that'll be a
great year for Pete Carroll's first complete year there. I'm
not ready to put them up to nine or ten wins,
but I think them in Denver kind of hold it
back into a but I think they're both eight and
nine teams.

Speaker 1 (46:10):
So give me the job, the Chiefs to win it
and the Charges a walker.

Speaker 2 (46:13):
All right, let's go to you, not Chris and the
AFC West.

Speaker 6 (46:17):
Well, guys, I happen to like fantasy, and I happen
to like good medieval stories. And I know when the
king grows old, things change in the kingdom, and the
Chiefs kingdom is going to open up. You know how
we had a division like the NFC North that represented
three playoff teams last year. We're kind of getting it
back ended here. But less about all these teams being great,

(46:39):
more about it opening up. But there is a new
crown rising and it's coming in Los Angeles, and it's.

Speaker 1 (46:46):
Not the right Go Chargers Go.

Speaker 6 (46:50):
I like everything that's being built in Los Angeles. I
like the commitments, the run game, I like justin Herbert.
I like what they have built in the offensive line,
and I think it is finally time to set down
the Chargers, not just winning this division, but taking the
one seed in the AFC at fourteen and three in

(47:13):
the tank here, it is time to do this, but
right on their heels and nipping them the entire way
to get in here with neither team budgeting, much like
the Lions and Vikings last year, will be a team
that gets to open the year playing the Titans the Colts,
and then playing those Chargers, and then later in the
year getting to play the Jaguars, getting to play the Cowboys.

(47:37):
Middle of the year. The Broncos will go thirteen and four,
wow in the playoffs, as Boonick starts to really make
his case now the old King, he ain't going nowhere.
But the Chiefs will be twelve and five. They will
still make the playoffs, but it will be a little
bit more of a shaky ground and it will indicate

(48:00):
this field is opening up. Now there's one person that's
that's not included. You have the memes of the foreheaded
Dragon of the NFC North last year, where everyone's like
the starling Dragon and there's one dumbhead, and that was
the Bears. The dumbhead in the AFC West at six
and eleven, the Las Vegas Raiders.

Speaker 1 (48:17):
All right, so Chris is in the books.

Speaker 2 (48:19):
Now for Bo's picks, here's Shay who, by the way,
if his picks turn out good.

Speaker 1 (48:25):
He wants to split the winnings. You have to split
the weddings. What winnings.

Speaker 3 (48:29):
If they're bad, Bo's just gonna blak.

Speaker 11 (48:31):
So Bow did three of these, so these are mostly
bows here. So if Bo does do a good job,
these are mostly gonna be bows. So he has the
Chiefs comeing in eleven wins. We'll have the Chargers coming
in at eleven wins as well, and that's going to
be a wild card for the Chargers. And then he's
the Broncos getting ten wins with another wild card. So
he has a very competitive division here. And then he

(48:52):
has the Raiders agreeing with Chris here six six wins
for the Las Vegas Raiders. All right, Monsey is working
fever here on this final division in the AFC.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
The AFC wes.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
She's just hungry thinking about how this division is going.

Speaker 1 (49:09):
To play out. She's jumping as I stalled.

Speaker 2 (49:11):
Just a little bit longer. She's ready to go. All right,
so what are your picks?

Speaker 10 (49:17):
You know the cameras rolling right now, so that'll be great.
And if it was, yeah, no, I was enjoying my
brain out.

Speaker 12 (49:22):
Okay, very similar actually to what we just heard from bo.

Speaker 10 (49:27):
I'm not ready to throw in the Chiefs. I agree
with you, VJ.

Speaker 12 (49:31):
I feel like there's a little bit of a vengeance,
a little bit of a chip on the shoulder, because
what did we say all season last year?

Speaker 10 (49:37):
How are the Chiefs this good? How do they have
this record?

Speaker 12 (49:40):
Mahomes had the worst year of his life, and he's like,
hold pull my beer, watch this.

Speaker 10 (49:45):
So I agree with VJ on that I think the Chargers.

Speaker 12 (49:48):
Stay the same eleven and seven, and I think that's
what the record was last eleven and six, So they're
going to go eleven and six? Are my math is off? Guys,
eleven and six, I think they stay the same and
they get.

Speaker 10 (49:58):
A wild card.

Speaker 12 (49:59):
I think the Broncos ten and seven you get another wildcard.
So no wildcard for the ANFC South for me, where
I wasn't sure if the Colts will get in, No,
I put the Broncos in to be that other wildcard.
And with the Raiders, I think they're gonna have a
solid year at seven and ten. Solid but a good
first time outing for what the Raiders are trying to
put together.

Speaker 2 (50:19):
All right, I'm very close to what you got there,
mon See, look I've been hyping up the Broncos. Remember
this quite differential. Last year, the Chiefs were a plus
fifty nine with a fifteen and two record.

Speaker 1 (50:30):
Think about that. That's a lot of close gains.

Speaker 2 (50:32):
Meanwhile, the Broncos were a plus one fourteen, so they
actually had the largest point differential in that division.

Speaker 1 (50:40):

Speaker 2 (50:41):
I think it will be enough to eke out a
twelve and five record to win the division. I'll have
the Broncos winning it at twelve and five. I'm not
gonna go crazy here. Chiefs will hang in. There'll be
a wild card at eleven and six. And I was
really on the bubble with the Chargers, but I think
you know, I saw this yesterday where they've timed Justin

(51:02):
Herbert's velocity on the football. Jim Harbor was big on this,
and it's like one mile an hour faster than it
was a year ago. Like get another mile an hour
on your fastball? All right, So I bought into that hype.
I love Jim Harbour. I love, love, love, love love.
He's going to get the Chargers right. They'll be a
championship team. But now yet they will sneak in as
a wild card at ten and seven, and I'm with Watson.

(51:25):
I think the Raiders can win seven games at least
this year with Pete Carroll. They can't be that bad
with Gino Smith, Ashton gent he can't wait to see
this kid unleash or that Raiders offense. But the defense, unfortunately,
just ain't going to be able to hang with the
rest of the teams. This is a really good defensive division,
by the way. Chargers, remember gave up the fewest points
in the NFL a year ago, and the Broncos weren't

(51:46):
far behind. Actually, the Chiefs gave up the third most
points in the division and they were one of the
best defenses as well. So the Raiders go in at
seven and ten. All right, guys, now one round here.
Just a reminder, I want each of you to tell
us you are four division winners and your three wildcards
in the AFC VJ.

Speaker 1 (52:06):
We'll start with you division winners.

Speaker 3 (52:08):
Give me the Chiefs, the Texans, Baltimore and the Bills.

Speaker 1 (52:14):
My wildcards are the.

Speaker 3 (52:15):
Dolphins, the Bengals and.

Speaker 1 (52:20):
Chargers and the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (52:22):
All right, Chris, your four division winners and three wildcards.

Speaker 6 (52:25):
Yeah, I've got the Bills, the Bengals, the Texans and
the Chargers. Is your division winners, and your wildcards are
kind of come in the form of the Ravens, the Chiefs,
and the Broncos.

Speaker 1 (52:36):
All right, So what are the wildcard teams for bow
here shait.

Speaker 11 (52:39):
The wildcard teams for bo are going to be the Chargers, Broncos,
and the Patriots. And then at the top of his
list for the FC is the Bills, Ravens, and the
Chiefs and the Texans.

Speaker 1 (52:48):
And the Texans.

Speaker 2 (52:49):
All right, monse your four division winners, three wildcards in
the AFC, all right.

Speaker 12 (52:53):
So the Chiefs, and I think they'll be the number
one seed in the AFC, Chiefs and then the Texans,
Ravens and the Bills. My wildcard teams are the Bengals, Chargers,
and Broncos.

Speaker 10 (53:03):
Honorable mention to the Colts because I think there's a chance,
a chance, I think there's.

Speaker 2 (53:07):
A legit cho Jimy that would be that would be
a real upset. That might be an upset for your
picks over here, all right. So it's my division winners.
I'll go with the Bills, the Ravens, the Texans, and
the Broncos. And my wild cards are the Bengals, the
Chiefs and the Chargers. All right, so we are all
set now with our AFC picks.

Speaker 1 (53:29):
Now we switch to the NFC.

Speaker 2 (53:31):
This is Fox Football Sunday, Harvin and Husky Fox Football Sunday.
Here in the Fox Sports Radio studios.

Speaker 1 (53:40):
We're going on the.

Speaker 2 (53:41):
Record our predictions for the upcoming NFL season as we
get ready for the debut next week of.

Speaker 1 (53:48):
End Zone Radio.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
Better get your risk, better get your sleep, because we
got a lot going on with another busy NFL season.
All right, guys, let's now move on to the NFC
and we'll start things off with the NFC East. Of course,
last year, the two teams that faced off in the
NFC Championship Game both came out of the NFC East.
The Super Bowl champion Eagles were fourteen and three. The

(54:14):
Commanders with James Daniels unbelievable year a year ago, twelve
and five.

Speaker 1 (54:19):
No one saw that one coming.

Speaker 2 (54:21):
The Dallas Cowboys, everything went wrong for them last year.
They fell to seven and ten, and the Giants hol
Brian Dable has a job. I have no clue, but
they were three and fourteen. So I VJ will start
with you right now. Break it down. How do you
see it shaken out in the NFC East.

Speaker 3 (54:38):
So for the NFC East, I'm going to do the
obvious thing here and stay with the Philadelphia Eagles, but
I'm giving them the number one overall record in the
NFL this year. I think they go fifteen and two. Wow,
this team is loading. Then the Ad Nietzsche, which is
just another burner that made people actually think that Jones

(55:00):
could actually be an NFL quarterback when he was at Bama.
He's throwing around to all these guyst Max, throwing around
in all these guys that are all now starting receivers
in the NFL, and I just think Jalen Hurt could
be on pace and be an MVP candidate.

Speaker 1 (55:13):
This defensive loaded. They drafted really.

Speaker 3 (55:16):
Well and this will be the first time in the
last twenty plus years that there's been a back to
back NFC East champion. Give me Philly at fifteen and two,
but right behind him by a couple of games. I
really like Dallas. I like Dallas at twelve and five
because that's all that. That's all Dak does. I don't
understand why people balkwin. I say, all Dak does is

(55:36):
win eleven and twelve games. Guys, just go look at
the record when he doesn't play is the years they
are bad. Now, I'm not talking about the postseason, but
they're getting there. You know what kicked in the postseason
at home, which means they've been good during the regular season.
When Dak is played. Dak is back. He's got some
weapons and receivers. I'm not sure what's gonna happen with
this running back room, but we see running backs come
out of nowhere all the time, guys that we don't

(55:58):
know is gonna be that good, And next thing you know,
they're rushing for thirteen fourteen hundred yards because you got
a quarterback that keeps the defense. Honest, I like the
Commanders at ten and seven. I don't have them taking
a step back. Everybody else does. A lot of people
think jayde and Daniels is the quarterback that's gonna have
the sophomore slumping bo Knicks is gonna leave forward. I
think this team is fine offensively. Their defense is just

(56:18):
so bad. That's the problem there. And it's weird with
Dan Quinn as their coach. He's a defensive guy. And
I think the Giants and I got a surprise for
you for Dabo is one of my other predictions. I
think the Giants bring up the rear heir for I'll
go five and twelve. I was gonna go four and thirteen,
but I'll go five and twelve because I think Russell
Russell Wilson should be able to get you a couple
of wins.

Speaker 5 (56:36):
Right.

Speaker 3 (56:36):
The defense is tough. They'll be in a lot of games,
but they just don't have a lot off as Million
Labors is gonna be asked to be traded this offseason.

Speaker 2 (56:41):
All right, very good, VJ. Now let's move on to Chris.
Chris break it down for us NFC East.

Speaker 6 (56:46):
I don't feel confident about doing back to back NFC
East Division winners because always something happens here. But it's
kind of subtract. It's divisioned by subtraction. However that term goes.
I'm not that's right, you know what addition by such
audition by strat I'm gonna give this over to another man.
I personally can't speak right now. Jerry Jones is gonna
help me out here while we discuss this division. So upfront, so.

Speaker 1 (57:11):
We have a good time.

Speaker 6 (57:12):
We'll we go to Philadelphia and Philadelphia will have a
lot of good time at thirteen and four, winning this
division fairly handily. Now up next, it's tough, man. I
do think we were talking about guys coming back down
to Earth. I think I'd like what they've built in Washington,
but there's no other way around it.

Speaker 1 (57:33):
And Jerry just a little bit.

Speaker 6 (57:37):
This team had a lot of one score games last year,
pulling it out by the teeth of the skin of
their teeth. Needed a Hail Mary against Chicago that always
screams regression to the mean. The Commanders will be nine
and eight, and I think, like that's still respectable, but
will be respectable to get into the playoffs. You're gonna

(57:57):
have to find out, and of course now onto.

Speaker 1 (58:00):
And remember some of us Cowboys, the.

Speaker 6 (58:03):
Dallas Cowboys will be eight and nine. They will dearly
miss Micah Parsons. I I kind of agree with you
that their offense is still a you know, a strong
point for them. I don't like this idea that they've
invested in Kenny Clark to stop the run. That's uh,
I see the vision, but also the best ability is
availability and Kenny Clark's kind of getting up there along

(58:25):
in the tooth.

Speaker 1 (58:25):
The Giants.

Speaker 6 (58:26):
The Giants and hold up, let me get a good
drop for this one. With that in mind, the Giants
will be six and eleven, wow, and kind of not
quite the dead raccoon on the side of the road.
I do believe they are building something special with their
front seven on defense and Malik Neighbors I think is
going to blossom into a good wide receiver, but the

(58:48):
parts aren't fully in place yet. If they're patient with
Jackson Dart, this could be something into the future, but
it will not be this year at six and eleven, all.

Speaker 2 (58:55):
Right, So Baul, of course, he is the resident super
fan of the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. So Shay,
how does he break down the NFC East?

Speaker 11 (59:06):
So he doesn't have them at the top of the
AFC or the NFC, but he definitely has them up there.
They're gonna be a twelve win team they win the
NFC East, but they don't necessarily win the NFC. They're
gonna has the Commanders in at nine nine wins. So
that's that's me, But he doesn't do that. That's me
saying that. And then Cowboys, he's not an idiot. He

(59:26):
does like the Eagles, but he's not an idiot. So
I'll give them seven. I'll give them seven, and then
Giants coming in with six wins.

Speaker 2 (59:33):
Six wins for the Giants, mat see, give us your
rundown of this NFC East, Okay.

Speaker 12 (59:40):
I mean, I mean Eagles are gonna win, and we
all know that twelve and five maybe better.

Speaker 10 (59:43):
But I'll put twelve and.

Speaker 12 (59:44):
Five Eagles winning Giants. I think we all agree. Five
six wins. I'm gonna say five, five and twelve is
how I think they end. I think the Commanders take
a smidge of a dip. I think they have a
harder schedule, and I think that you know, people are
can plan a little bit better for Jayden Daniels right
for the second time around. So I think Commanders go
nine to eight. I don't think the Cowboys are completely

(01:00:07):
out of this.

Speaker 10 (01:00:08):
Call me crazy.

Speaker 12 (01:00:09):
I think that the cow Boys end ten and seven
this year.

Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
I know, I just it's amazing you're saying this. By
the way, I know I know what you're saying. I
know what you're saying.

Speaker 12 (01:00:22):
Call me c eazy, but I I know everybody is
up in arms about that move, and like, I don't know,
I feel like the Cowboys are not going to be
as bad as people think.

Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
I am very close to a lot of you guys
in this one. I think the Eagles are a twelve
win team.

Speaker 1 (01:00:39):
You know. I don't think the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
Can get you know, just it's tough when you come
off a Super Bowl win, right, and you're going to
get another two thousand yards out of Saquon Barkley if
you include his postseason. Obviously it's one of the great
running backs. Can he stay on the field. He's had
injury problems in the past. But that being said, Eagles
win twelve. Here's the interesting thing for me. I got
both the Cowboys and the Commanders at ten and seven. Okay,

(01:01:04):
but only one of those teams is going to be
a wildcard. Because I got multiple teams in the NFC,
all finishing at ten and seven, It's like.

Speaker 1 (01:01:12):
Which one, So stay tuned.

Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
I'll have my rundown as far as which wildcards come
out of the NFC. But I got both the Commanders
and the Cowboys sitting at ten and seven. I love
Jackson Dart. I watch film on this kid. He can
throw the football, but you gotta stay up right. There's
the Giants are really a bad football team. I can't
see more than five wins. It's going to be the
end of Brian Dable and then we'll see what the

(01:01:37):
Giants do next. I'll have the Giants sitting there at
five and twelve. All right, So we are now set
as far as the NFC East is concerned. Coming up,
we got the NFC North. But first let's find out
what is trending as Monsey is studying her charts right now.

Speaker 12 (01:01:57):
Oh, there's so many things I'm trying to keep track
of right now. This is how this is getting me
ready for Week one of the NFL, because it gets
crazy here Vja, it gets crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:02:06):
I told Steve and I told you last year. If
you remember when I started covering.

Speaker 10 (01:02:10):
The rooms very you were very kind of guys.

Speaker 3 (01:02:13):
Were my listen every Sunday driving down the sofar because
this is about the time he hadn't down the sofar
for the game. And it was a great listen, it
really was. And I remember saying my car saying, man,
I want chill the Holls on this show.

Speaker 12 (01:02:25):
It just it's so fun. And here we are, it is,
it is right here we are.

Speaker 10 (01:02:29):
It's just so fun. It's so much is going on.

Speaker 12 (01:02:32):
So it's getting me ready for that because so much
is going on right now, we'll start.

Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
Oh, by the way, just other note, well, everything else
is going on. Remember, at least for Manci, she has
multiple fantasy teams, don't get.

Speaker 1 (01:02:45):
Scores, and we're doing all the stats and everything.

Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
She's also trying to keep track of all of her
fantasy game talking.

Speaker 1 (01:02:52):
You're not a real fantasy person.

Speaker 10 (01:02:54):
I don't want to do this anymore. Every every year
I say I'm gonna quit. Okay, let's start. In baseball, guys,
a gig have taken the lead.

Speaker 12 (01:03:00):
Yeah, Aaron Judge hit his forty third home run of
the season, but Cody Bellinger came in with an RBI double,
and now the Yankees are up on the White Sox
two to one.

Speaker 10 (01:03:08):
Bottom of the fifth inning.

Speaker 12 (01:03:09):
Tigers have extended their lead over the Royals four zero,
top of the six.

Speaker 10 (01:03:12):
Angels on the scoreboard.

Speaker 12 (01:03:13):
First against the Astros in Houston, one zero, bottom of
the fifth. Mariners have now taken the lead from the Guardians.
Randiettro Satina had tied the game, but now they're up
four to two. Bottom of the seventh inning. All Marlins
so far against the Mets in New York, it's five
zero after six innings. The Blue Jays have extended their
lead now over the Brewers at home. It's eight four,
top of the sixth inning. Brandon Lao with the grand

(01:03:34):
slam for the Raises. They're on top of the National
seven to four. Bottom of the eighth inning. Red Sox
with a five to two lead over the Pirates. It's
the top of the seventh and all twins so far.
Against the Padres, it's seven zero, top of the eighth inning.
One game has wrapped up. The Reds defeated the Cardinals
seven to four. Let's check in on the US Open. Yes,
on the women's side, Jess Pagoula is headed to the

(01:03:55):
quarterfinals for a second straight year. On the men's side,
two seed Carlos Kraz has won the first two sets
of his fourth round match, and right now he's losing
in the third set two games to one. American Taylor Fritz,
also the four seed. He's supposed to start his fourth
round match in about thirty minutes. And in the NFL,
since we're talking about that, Cowboys of signed cornerback Jeron
Blant to a four year, ninety two million dollar extension,

(01:04:17):
fifty million guaranteed back.

Speaker 1 (01:04:20):
To US being back to us. All right, Montsi, thank
you very much.

Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
Once again, Harbin and Husky Here Fox Football Sunday. We're
in the Fox Sports Radio studios. Be sure to check
out the Fox Sports Radio YouTube channel a ton of
great videos from many of our Fox Sports Radio shows.

whole bunch of video highlights from our shows, and be

(01:04:47):
this was the division.

Speaker 3 (01:04:48):
Yes Mejay, We're just I just want to just wrap
back around to Dallas and talk to Monzie for me,
because Monty and I are in the same page with this.
I think Pickens is a name that's really not been
mentioned this offseason, and I think sometimes of player Steve
you notice from being like in a franchise man working
for you store for.

Speaker 1 (01:05:05):
The Raiders, right I did. I don't like to talk
about him.

Speaker 3 (01:05:08):
No, yeah, exactly, I'm my bad. We'll keep that on
the down down, thank you. We'll keep that on the
down low. But sometimes players just need to change the
scene or sure, and we're not going to act like
this kid can't play, all right, there's a reason why
he was very sought after coming out of high school
when the Georgia did his thing and teams in the
NFL wanted the draft in.

Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
Look, I'm with you one hundred percent. Look I got
Dallas at ten wins this year. I mean, I mean well,
I mean, well, they're gonna miss Micah Parsons. They have
to replace him obviously. And the running back situation, you say, well,
you know, running backs come out of nowhere. I mean
Paulard Serta did for them. I mean, they've had running
backs that have emerged. But I agree with you on
the Dak situation. I mean, he's a double digit I

(01:05:48):
just I don't see a twelve win team right. Look,
if I think is more like it, they win twelve
or more games. But he and Zach Martin retired. I
mean in the Hall of Famer, they're losing pieces here.

Speaker 3 (01:05:59):
Yeah, But and maybe you never know though, maybe a
kid that's been behind.

Speaker 1 (01:06:03):
Zachmark could be plugged in. But that's hard to replace
that kind of a guy.

Speaker 3 (01:06:06):
Miles Sanders at the runs back position. And then they
bring in Javonte Williams, one of the Carolina guys that
was what your you're I'm calling him your Broncos this year,
just so you know you're Areezer, You're good agreement.

Speaker 1 (01:06:18):
Alright, those are Steves Broncos this season. All right.

Speaker 2 (01:06:20):
So let's go to the AFC North guys again. A
year ago, this was the dynamic division in football. The
Lions were fifteen and two, The Vikings are fourteen and three.
Packers were eleven and six. Both the Vikings and Packers
or wild card teams. Of course, all three of their
teams lost their first playoff game.

Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
Bears brought up the rear at five and twelve.

Speaker 2 (01:06:41):
A promising start unraveled for the Bears with a deep
fault late in the season.

Speaker 1 (01:06:46):
All Right, VJ, get a start of here. Breakdown the
a NFC North.

Speaker 3 (01:06:49):
I'm gonna flip flop the top two teams from last year.
Give me the Vikings at thirteen and four. I think
they could replicate what they did last year because I
think that JJ McCarthy is going to be a better
option than what Sam Darnold was.

Speaker 9 (01:07:01):
Now.

Speaker 3 (01:07:01):
I know they don't have Jordan Addison to start the year,
but they have other guys that I think can really
fill in. This defense is still a top flight defense
in the NFL. Coach Flores on that side of the
ball knows what he's doing. This defense gonna get after you.
And I just think that JJ Mcondey's got the weapons around.
You have one A one B receiver. However you want
to describe justin Jefferson Hawkinson, I mean, you have weapons
to get the ball to. He's not short of that

(01:07:23):
schedule works out leans a little nice for them also too.
But I also have the lines at second place right
there at thirteen and four. Also, I don't want to
be the coordinator guy. And that's all I keep hearing,
and I've heard it before. Oh team lost the Cordator,
it lost Corday. They promoted from within guys. They didn't
change any system, they didn't change any terminology, they didn't
change anything. They brought guys that have been there in there.
And last time I checked, they have all those weapons

(01:07:45):
still there. Let's all be real if they're not signing
guys off the street in January to try to cover somebody.
They scored over thirty points in the game that they
lost at home. Again, they didn't get shut down. They
put up thirty five or thirty whatever it was. Their
defense just let them down and I think that'll change
this sh year. I still love the toughness of this team.
I got them tied at thirteen and four, and and
the Vikings get the head to head tiebreaker which puts

(01:08:07):
them into one seed. I like the Packers at twelve
and five. I said last year this division would get
three teams in. They're gonna get three teams in again
this year because you can't. And the Packers just added
Michael Parsons, so now they added something to that.

Speaker 1 (01:08:18):
But I just love what Jordan.

Speaker 3 (01:08:19):
Love is on offense, and they and with Laflour has
known with this team young receivers that they've been molded.
I think this is a year a few of them
take off, and I think the Bears improve a little bit.
I got them at seven and ten. I'm being kind.
I would like them more six and eleven so I
can look better with my Camin Wims production prediction. But
I'll put them in at seven and ten just to
make it a little so it doesn't looking like I'm

(01:08:40):
banging on them. So give me the Vikings to win it,
and give me Detroit via tiebreaker at number two A
thirteen to four, they get.

Speaker 2 (01:08:46):
The wild Carter all right, Chris our resident Alliance insider,
here are they gonna repeat? Break it down for us
NFC North.

Speaker 6 (01:08:54):
You know what, this is a very dynamic division now,
especially with the addition of Micah Parsons. Everyone's running finals now.
Talking about the Packers winning this division, you bring up
the Vikings. There a question mark. We don't know what
Caleb Williams will be yet with the new system with
Ben Johnson. But like as you say, everything's on the
Lions right now, new coordinators, and it's so much is
made of Ben Johnson leaving town. It could go anyone's

(01:09:17):
way in this division. It really could. And it's really
tempting when you're looking at a team like the Lions
to say, you know what, they were a fun story,
but now it's time for the more August honorable teams
to come in. No give me in my music. The
Detroit Lions thirteen and four. You bring it up. Kelvin

(01:09:37):
Sheppard is a DC from inside. She coached the linebackers
last year.

Speaker 1 (01:09:43):
They ain't going nowhere.

Speaker 6 (01:09:44):
I'm und Ross Saint Brout and you know what, you
talk about the coordinators, Johnny Morton as their offensive coordinator,
it feels like they will probably benefit from playing a
more orthodox offense this year. Like you already got j
Goff throwing a little more vertical. You got you know, Jamison, Williams,
Amanaaz Saint Brown, give me that. The Packers, I'm not

(01:10:08):
gonna knock the Micah Parsons thing that actually makes them
very scary. I'm gonna say they're next up at eleven
and six, they will make the playoffs. I still have
a lot of questions about Jordan Love. I am not
ready to anoint him because I feel like we focus
too much in the good games he has and not
too much on the mister Hyde games he has when
it's not Toyota Thon or whatever the meme is the Vikings.

(01:10:33):
As much as I want to like Brian Flores, I
almost feel like you saw some teams start to figure
out later in the year what to do about Brian Flores,
especially the Lions and the Rams. I think more teams
watch that. I think with the injuries they're having right
now already, Like I think JJ's got like a little
bit of a tweak right now, and Addison's gonna take
some time to get back. I'm not buying it in them.

(01:10:54):
I have them at eight and nine, and I think
the Bears honorable as it may be for them to
come up. They have a lot of spunk to them,
but they will be nine and eight.

Speaker 1 (01:11:03):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:11:04):
So you got the Vikings in last place at eight nine?

Speaker 1 (01:11:08):
I do Okay, all.

Speaker 2 (01:11:12):
Right, let's move on to Bow's pick for this. See
he's too close to it in the NFC North. That's
the problem.

Speaker 1 (01:11:20):
Am all right, what do we got here? Shay for
the NFC North with Bo.

Speaker 11 (01:11:24):
So he has the Packers coming in with thirteen wins.

Speaker 1 (01:11:28):
Wow.

Speaker 11 (01:11:29):
Yeah, So he definitely has them up there, and they're
actually at the top of the NFCU completely and then
he has the Lions with twelve wins and that's gonna
be a wild card for Bow. And then he also
has the Vikings with ten wins, and that's another wild
card for Bo. So there's one more spot in his
wild card. And he is a Bear. Well, he is
a Caleb fan and he likes the Bears.

Speaker 6 (01:11:48):
And if I was still I think he still says
that like it's going to take time to develop there too.
He did say that, But you know, this isn't what
I would give them, but I think he would give
them a eight wins.

Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
Eight wins, Wow, Wow, that is a lot. All right,
So MANSI, how do you look at it right now?

Speaker 1 (01:12:07):
With the NFC North.

Speaker 12 (01:12:10):
Prior to the Michael Parsons trade to the Packers, I
actually said to Carry that the Packers should be the
ones we're saying have the most pressure to win that division.
Before all of this happened, I was like, the Packers
have no excuses. I agree with what you were saying, though,
VJ that the Lions like losing their coordinators, like they're
not starting, They're not going to change what they've been doing,

(01:12:31):
but there is gonna I think you know a little
bit of like growing pains right as you figure it out,
because you lost both of your coordinators. But I think
the Packers have no excuses. They should absolutely win the division.
I may have a question marks surrounding Jordan Love, but
now I have them winning the.

Speaker 10 (01:12:45):
Division at thirteen and four. They should. They should have
no excuses.

Speaker 12 (01:12:50):
If not next in a couple of months, we're talking
about the Packers looking for a new head coach, Like,
there's no excuses.

Speaker 1 (01:12:58):
Right about that.

Speaker 6 (01:12:58):
If I could say that, like yeah, like the Vikings
starting a new quarterback, you got new offense in Chicago,
new coordinators with the Lions.

Speaker 3 (01:13:06):
This is this is the same regime in Green Bay.

Speaker 2 (01:13:09):
Right, So you're gonna get rid of one of the
winning ast coaches, Matt Lafleur in the NFL.

Speaker 12 (01:13:13):
I'm just saying, we've seen crazier things happen. We've seen
crazier things happen. I have the Lions coming in and
getting a wild card spot at twelve and five.

Speaker 10 (01:13:22):
I think that's how they end. I have the Vikings don't.

Speaker 12 (01:13:26):
I don't know what to expect of the Vikings, but
they definitely don't have an easy schedule and they don't
have an easy division.

Speaker 10 (01:13:32):
They have a rookie quarterback.

Speaker 12 (01:13:33):
I have the nint the Vikings at nine and eight,
and then I have the Bears at seven and ten.

Speaker 2 (01:13:37):
All right, So as far as the NFC North, I
look at Vegas. Vegas they set odds and you know what,
They're not in the business of losing money. So when
you look at the over undertotals for this division, you're like,
what's going on here? Why are these numbers so low? Again,
Vegas doesn't lose money. This is going to be the
come down division in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:13:57):
This year. The Lions will have on By the way,
they have.

Speaker 2 (01:14:01):
The one player above all others to me is the
must watch player in this league in Jamier Gibbs.

Speaker 3 (01:14:07):
Gibbs.

Speaker 2 (01:14:07):
I mean, I can sit there and watch highlights of
Jamiir Gibbs all day long. His acceleration is ridiculous. He's
going to have a superstar year. They'll go eleven and six.
They'll still win this division. I mentioned earlier, I had
the Commanders and Cowboys both at ten and seven. I
got two other ten and seven teams, the Vikings and

(01:14:28):
the Packers. So I gotta still figure out which of
these teams will merge as wild card teams at ten
and seven.

Speaker 1 (01:14:35):
And the Bears.

Speaker 2 (01:14:37):
Look, I think it's going to be an adjustment period
for Ben Johnson with Caleb Williams as opposed to sort
of that ready set feeling he had with Jared Goff.
So the Bears tick up slightly. I'll give him seven wins,
seven and nine for the Bears in the NFC North,
all right, coming up on the other side, we'll switch
it to the NFC South.

Speaker 1 (01:14:57):
Do we get in it? We're gonna get this is
the bad division.

Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
NFC South is coming up this is Fox Football Sunday,
Harvin Husky, Fox Football Sunday here in the Fox Sports
Radio studios. All right, not a lot of time here
for the NFC South. Not that this division needs a
lot of time. Yeah, let's get it started here, VJ.
Breaking down. Last year, Tampa won ten games in the division.
No wildcard teams. Falcons were eight and nine. Panthers and

(01:15:24):
Saints both came in at five and twelve.

Speaker 3 (01:15:26):
Give me Tampa at eleven and six. I think they
have enough defense, and I like Baker Manfield, like yourself.
We're both Baker Mayfield guys, and just because of the
division are and I'll take Atlanta at number two at
ten and seven, I think Michael Pennis junior can sling it.
Think this kid's mature. He has everything. I like the
weapons around to beyond which with Beijeon and a tight
end Pitts and a receiver Drake London who's from La
out here and with the SC I mean I think

(01:15:48):
Tenny seven is good. Is a good mix to transfer
him over until his first year of a full time starter.
The Panthers at seven and ten, I think they win
a few more games they did last year. I think
the offense is getting better and better, but the offensive line.

Speaker 1 (01:16:01):
Is still lagging.

Speaker 3 (01:16:03):
Pro Football Focus had them dead last in the in
the UH in the rankings last year. And give me
the Saints at Owen seventeen. We gotta pick one man,
and I I knew I was the only one here
that was gonna do it.

Speaker 1 (01:16:15):
So he's on record seventeen for the Saints.

Speaker 3 (01:16:19):
All right, Tampa wins it. I'm not sure if Atlanta
isn't is a wild card yet. We haven't gotten to
the NFC West yet, so but give me Tampa eleven six.

Speaker 1 (01:16:27):
To win it, all right, Chris, what do you got here?

Speaker 6 (01:16:29):
Well, let it just show that on my sheet here
that I had written down long ago, I did have
an O seventeen Saints as well of us going seventeen.

Speaker 1 (01:16:39):
Terrible.

Speaker 6 (01:16:40):
This is really this is worse than the Browns were
that the sixteen year. This is just this is bad
by design, all right. So the top of this, I
actually have the Falcons take in this division. I think
I'm gonna take the better coach. Yes, I am saying
Rahee Morris is the better coach over Todd Bowls right now,
ten six and one, I like to pick a tie,
and I think there is going to be a tie
in the fact Falcons season record. Who is that tie with?

(01:17:02):
It will be with the Panthers at nine seven and
one question? Will that get them into the playoffs? Keep
track the Buccaneers. Oh, the Buccaneers. I like their roster,
but again, I do not think Todd Bowles is the
coach for this moment anymore. Eight and nine Hi nine
and then a winless Saints team. So two winless predictions
for the Saints. Where does bo stand here?

Speaker 1 (01:17:24):
Shake?

Speaker 11 (01:17:25):
So only give me one here? And it's the Buccaneers ten.
So they're gonna be leading the NFC South with ten wins.
I'm gonna go Falcons here next with nine wins. He's
a big fine of Michael Poenix. And then Panthers. I'm
gonna go five wins here. I don't think he has
any faith in the quarterback or the team itself.

Speaker 1 (01:17:41):
And then Saints.

Speaker 11 (01:17:42):
I know he has them as the least winning team
in the NFL. So I'm gonna go two wins, two
wins for the Saints. I like how you say Poenix
instead of Penix.

Speaker 1 (01:17:51):
I like that. I gotta be safe.

Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
Let's go now to Monzi what do you think here
in this woefull NFC South.

Speaker 12 (01:18:00):
You know, Okay, So I'm a big Buccaneers fan, or
I was gonna say Taylor Swift, She's always on my mind,
a Baker Mayfield fan. So I have the Buccaneers winning
this division. Actually, I have them at eleven and six
to win this division. I think I know that they're
missing Tristan Worf for the first couple Worfs for the
first couple of games, but their first couple of games aren't.

Speaker 10 (01:18:20):
It's not like a super hard couple of five six games.

Speaker 12 (01:18:23):
So I think like they'll be okay, but I know
that's like gonna they're gonna be missing him. The Saints,
you guys, they're gonna win at least two games K
two and fifteen for the Saints. I think the Panthers.
I like the Panthers, but if you look at their schedule,
they're gonna have some I think we're gonna see like
a good Panthers team that just can't win games, you know,

(01:18:46):
But I think they're gonna keep it close. I think
we're gonna see a good Panthers team. And so I'm
actually gonna put the Panthers at call me crazy. I'm
gonna put them at nine and eight for the Panthers
this year.

Speaker 1 (01:18:56):
Wow, it gonna be good.

Speaker 12 (01:18:58):
I do.

Speaker 10 (01:18:59):
I agree with that.

Speaker 12 (01:19:00):
I just and I think like the ones that they
lose are going to be like close ones. I think
they're good. They're becoming a good, solid team. I really
don't know what to make of the Falcons with Michael
Pennix Junior, and I love Jean Robinson, I do. I
I'm gonna put the Falcons with the Panthers at nine

(01:19:21):
and eight as well.

Speaker 2 (01:19:22):
Okay, all right, Well, this division to me is going
to be a three horse race. I think it's going
to be tied between the Buccaneers, Falcons, and Panthers. I'll
give the Falcons a slight edge. I don't see a
double digit win team in this division. I mean, we've
had division winners that have had losing records. So I'm
gonna have the Falcons at nine and eight, the Box

(01:19:44):
at eight and nine, the Panthers at seven and ten,
and yeah, I'll give the Saints two wins. Come on, now, No,
I would love to see a city over the course Aisle.

Speaker 3 (01:19:56):
Would it be?

Speaker 13 (01:19:57):
Well?

Speaker 1 (01:19:57):
I mean again, the bounce goes.

Speaker 3 (01:19:59):
Here or there. We see it every week. Who are
they beating is my question.

Speaker 2 (01:20:02):
They're going to be an underdog to every single team
they play this week.

Speaker 3 (01:20:06):
Favored all year, this division is closest. Spread is gonna
be three and a half point.

Speaker 11 (01:20:10):
It's gonna be that one Taysom Hill three touchdown, four touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
The spot, the ball is gonna go on touchback, other
team takes over and now Bill's game over season.

Speaker 2 (01:20:27):
Yeah see, I am such a Mayfield guy, but it
just if you look at a pattern in his career,
there's gonna be a hiccup, and I think it's it's
not gonna be a dramatic hiccup, but it's gonna be
a little bit of a hiccup.

Speaker 1 (01:20:38):
That team can put up points like no other.

Speaker 2 (01:20:41):
But you know, I just think I think Michael Pennock
soon is going to eke it out there for an
NFC South Crown.

Speaker 1 (01:20:47):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:20:48):
Coming up on the other side, we'll put a wrap
on the NFC whether our NFC West picks John Palmer
Rossi is going to talk about September baseball. We'll have
all of our NFL predictions in the books. This is
Fox Football Sunday, having all kinds of fun. Once again
here on a fully loaded sports Sunday. This is Fox
Football Sunday, and we're in the Fox Sports Radio studio.

(01:21:10):
So again a reminder. Next week and Zone Radio will
make its debut. We welcome Vjay into the party and
he is ready to go. I know about that. Very
excited about everything. With the NFL season.

Speaker 1 (01:21:23):
On the horizon.

Speaker 2 (01:21:24):
We will introduce you to new segments like No Huddle Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:21:29):
We'll have the perfect picks.

Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
We'll have a lot going on as we debut in
Zone Radio next Sunday, Week one of the NFL season.
And you know the problem with the NFL season is
is just too short. You get into it, you get
the momentum going, you get all. The next thing you
look up, it is like week fifteen.

Speaker 1 (01:21:49):
You're like, what happened here? Man?

Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
We're coming down the stretch. You get the playoffs and
the next thing you know, football is over. So savor
every moment.

Speaker 3 (01:21:56):
So too, I want to make you guys know. Let
you guys know, I'm making sure right down all your
picks and keep it. Because each of you picked the
Dolphins to win six games, each of you picked Miami
to win six games, you.

Speaker 12 (01:22:09):
Better hold highlight that baby highlight that.

Speaker 3 (01:22:14):
I'm gonnall you right now. I'm so happy to be
doing this the show with you this year. You know
you are my football girl. You are not key down Hilight.

Speaker 10 (01:22:21):
You want me to print it out in big letters
for you.

Speaker 3 (01:22:24):
Steve backed off his pick, though his prediction of two
months ago Steve boldly said they'd.

Speaker 1 (01:22:28):
Be lucky to win six. Now he's giving him seven,
which we're going to win five.

Speaker 3 (01:22:35):
Lucky to win six means five, but now he's trying
to give him seven because he's feeling a little but.

Speaker 2 (01:22:40):
I'm feeling the Alright, guys, that's still a double digital
last season.

Speaker 1 (01:22:44):
All right, guys, to.

Speaker 3 (01:22:45):
Pray it happens.

Speaker 2 (01:22:46):
We have one more division to go where we'll pick
our picks for the NFC West, and then at the
end of this segment, we will again pick our debate.
I still haven't decided quite on my wild cards yet,
but we will announce our debate winners and our three
wild cards counting out of the NFC West. So a
year ago, remember, the Rams and Seahawks both finished at

(01:23:07):
ten and seven. However, the Rams ended up winning the
division and the Seahawks didn't even get a wild card
at ten and seven. Cardinals were at eight to nine,
and it was a disastrous year for the forty nine
ers coming off a Super Bowl year in which they
had been to the Super Bowl, fell all the way
to the bottom at six and eleven.

Speaker 1 (01:23:25):
All right, So, VJ, where do you stand with the
NFC West?

Speaker 3 (01:23:28):
Toughest division to predict in my opinion, because we just
don't know, like these question marks. If the Rams with
Matthew Stafford's back, I'm gonna go with the Rams because
I think they have the best ready team right now.
But I do think once the Niners get some of
these guys back, and they had twenty five guys sit
out the last preseason game and to joint practice, it's

(01:23:50):
a lot of heads out. Man, give me the Rams.
I'm gonna go eleven to six because I like the
defense and I like the running game, and if Stafford
can play, they'll be fine. If he can't, we got question.
But you and I both like Stensabit as the backup.
I'll take San Francisco right behind them at also eleven
and six. It's just too much talent on his team.
I still question brock Purty if he's like that guy.

(01:24:12):
I do think he's good enough, and I do think
Shanahan is good enough, and McCaffrey's healthy, they'll be fine.

Speaker 1 (01:24:18):
I'm gonna take the.

Speaker 3 (01:24:19):
Cards to be at nine and eight because I just
think Kyler and at some point Marve Harrison Junior's got
to be the guy we think he Maserati, Marv Okay
tough rookie year.

Speaker 1 (01:24:29):
All right, brother, it's toime right now.

Speaker 3 (01:24:31):
Like if you're that guy receiver, they don't take you
three or four years. You should be ready to go now.
You should have did last year. I think you have
a better year. And then Sam Darnold can't possibly repeat
what he did last year. He doesn't have the weapons
in Minnesota. Up there in Seattle, Pete Carroll's moved on.
They're doing new things to rebuilding. Question the running backs
being healthy? Is Zach Sharbonay and Kenneth Walker the third?

(01:24:53):
I have them pulling up at seven and ten. Competitive
division all the way through, I think, But give me
the Rams here and then give me the Niners to.

Speaker 1 (01:25:01):
Eke out this wildcard. All right, eleven to.

Speaker 2 (01:25:04):
Six, all right, very good, Let's go to Chris. Now
give us your thoughts here on the NFC West.

Speaker 6 (01:25:10):
I think this is going to be a bounce back
year for the forty nine ers, Like the foundation of
the team is still good there, and I think what
they've got with brock Perty and everything else, Like, look,
brock Perty's not my favorite quarterback in the world, but
he can run that offense. They can run everything. It
was we talked about this last year.

Speaker 1 (01:25:26):
Guys.

Speaker 6 (01:25:26):
This was kind of the Super Bowl hangover without winning
the Super Bowl, and it really hit them hard. I
have the forty nine ers winning this division as a
twelve and five team. I think they'll be back in
the saddle here. I would love to have said the Rams.
I would absolutely love to have said the Rams. But
I've seen this too many times with Stafford, and he's
always trucked through the pain in the past. However, it's

(01:25:49):
not the past. He's about as old as I am.
And on top of everything, he's apparently using healing crystals
when he was at RAMS camp for what appears to
be a slipped disc in the back. It's not it's
not ideal. They've got questions on the offensive. This isn't
just a Stafford thing too. They got questions on the
offensive line as well. Which compounds further that issue. I

(01:26:11):
like them at ten and seven. I like them to
make the playoffs, but I can't see them like slipping
out of this and taking the whole division. At this point,
the Seahawks work in progress. I'm not sold on Sam
Darnold going here. I think taking him away from from
Kevin O'Connell the quarterback whisperer does kind of reveal some words,

(01:26:32):
the foundations are still solid there, though I see them
as a seven and ten, eight and nine team. I'm
gonna say seven and ten and the Cardinals, Man, I
just don't know what to do with them at this point.
Like I like Marvin Harrison Junior, but I'm really pressed
to name even a single other player on that team.
I think six and eleven is where they are headed
to right now, and I just good point. I like,

(01:26:55):
I want to believe in Gannon, I want to believe
in what he's been building there, but I've seen no
line of it right now. This is this is one
of the oldest teams in the NFL, and I've just
you would never know that with how they've traveled to
Arizona and I I just just don't see what the
vision what is the identity of the Cardinals.

Speaker 1 (01:27:12):
There is used to elude me. Yes, I'm with you
on that one.

Speaker 2 (01:27:15):
All right, let's go to Bow's picks here, share what
has he got here in the NFC win bay.

Speaker 11 (01:27:20):
But by Bo gave his for the forty nine Ers
and the Rams and then the Cardinals and the Seahawks
are going to be me being Bo. So for the
forty nine Ers, which I can only assume it being
schedule of strength, strength of schedule, he has thirteen wins
for that, and then for the Rams he has ten wins,
making them his last wild card for the NFC. And
then for the Cardinals. I think this will be a

(01:27:41):
massive year for Marvin Harrison Junior. I think this is
going to be an eight win total for them. And
then Seahawks. I think you guys are all sleeping on
the Seahawks. I think they'll also get eight wins. Sam
Donald is still Stam Donald.

Speaker 2 (01:27:52):
All right, So eight nine four of the Seahawks there, Monci,
how do you look at the NFC West.

Speaker 12 (01:27:57):
I think that the forty nine ers have a bound
back year because they have a real easy schedule in
comparison to others, and they have the talent, Like, I
just don't see why we would think they wouldn't be
able to bounce back. Twelve and five is how I
have the forty nine ers winning the division.

Speaker 10 (01:28:13):
The Rams.

Speaker 12 (01:28:13):
Here's the thing, Like, even if even when I think
they're not gonna be good, they find a way to
freaking win. The Rams have a good coach, are they
know what they're They're disciplined. So whether Matthew Stafford or
it's Stetson Bennett, I don't know.

Speaker 10 (01:28:27):
I have them as a wild card at ten and
seven because it's just the damn Rams. I think the
Seahawks will.

Speaker 12 (01:28:35):
Kind of just be like right in the middle of everything,
but I think they have like a solid defense. I
don't know what Sam Darnold is gonna do, but I
have them at nine and eight.

Speaker 10 (01:28:44):
And the Cardinals. There's no reason for me to expect
anything from them.

Speaker 12 (01:28:47):
There's just no There's no reason for me to So
I have the Cardinals at eight and nine.

Speaker 2 (01:28:52):
All right, So I believe this about the Rams. And again,
I wasn't a Matthew Stafford fan when he was with
the Lions. I'll admit I just wasn't much a fan.
I have become a big fan of his. The reports
have been over the last couple of weeks. He's practicing,
He's okay, at least for now. I know it's a
big if, but I believe the Rams are the second

(01:29:13):
best team in the NFC with a healthy Matthew Stafford.
So I have the Rams sitting at eleven and six.
The forty nine ers will be my fifth team at
ten and seven. I'll break down which one of these
five teams or three of these five are going to
be wild card teams. Arizona at eight and nine. I like,

(01:29:35):
I like their coach. I really do like Annett. I've seen,
you know. I spent a lot of time in the
Phoenix area, so I get to see his show and
everything else.

Speaker 1 (01:29:42):
He's solid.

Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
And as far as Sam Darnold and the Seahawks, I'm
with you guys, I'm pretty much. I think we have
a consensus now. With the Seahawks, I got them going
at seven and ten. I don't see much coming out
of Seattle this year.

Speaker 1 (01:29:54):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:29:54):
So that's the division play. So now let's do our
final run around here. Give your four division winners and
your three wild cards in the NFC.

Speaker 3 (01:30:05):
VJ division winners for me, weren't wasn't hard to come
up with. Give me Philly and as the number one
overall seed, Give me Tampa to eleven and six, give
me the Vikings thirteen and four, give me the Rams
at eleven and six. My wildcards are going to be
San Francisco at eleven and six, Dallas at twelve and five,

(01:30:26):
and one more, oh, Detroit, and give me Detroit at
also thirteen and four.

Speaker 2 (01:30:30):
Okay, Chris, your four division winners and your three wildcards.

Speaker 1 (01:30:34):
Sorry missed one.

Speaker 3 (01:30:34):
And also the Packers they get three teams in Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:30:37):
Wait a second, how many what are your wild cards again? Packers,
Lions and no, no, no, I'm asking, I know im naming.

Speaker 3 (01:30:43):
Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, Packers, Lions, and Cowboys. San Francisco
had eleven and six. Mister the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (01:30:50):
Oh okay, all right, so there you go, spicy NFC.

Speaker 3 (01:30:53):
I like it.

Speaker 6 (01:30:54):
I've got a pretty narrow one for wildcards. But first
the division winners Eagles, Lions, Falcons, forty nine ers. I
think the highest seed is either going to the Eagles
or forty nine ers. I've I've changed my numbers a
few times here. The wild cards are gonna be interesting
now I mentioned a lot of nine and eight teams
here and not a lot of ten and sevens. So

(01:31:14):
the Packers eleven and six are wildcard, the Rams at
ten and seven are wild card. But we've got a
bunch of eight and nines. But you noticed I gave
a tie, and that tie gets in the Buccaneers at
nine to seven and one as your third wild card,
a wild card from the NFC South, and the Commanders
and Bears just narrowly missing the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (01:31:33):
All right, So how does bo shake up with his
division winners and three wild cards in the NFC?

Speaker 1 (01:31:39):
Shaw?

Speaker 11 (01:31:39):
So, in the NFC at the top, it's the Packers
and the Niners with thirteen wins. Then he has his
Eagles coming in with twelve wins, and then the Buccaneers
with ten wins, and as his wild cards he has
Chris's Lions with twelve wins, the Rams with ten wins,
and then the Vikings with ten wins.

Speaker 2 (01:31:59):
Okay, are you all set with your final playoff predictions
in the NFC?

Speaker 10 (01:32:04):
I think so. I think so.

Speaker 12 (01:32:05):
So my division winners are going to be the Eagles,
the Packers, the Buccaneers and the forty nine ers. I
think the Packers will end up with the best record
in the NFC. They should, they should, so I'm gonna
put them. My wild cards are the Rams at ten
and seven, the Lions at twelve and five, and the

(01:32:25):
Cowboys at ten and seven.

Speaker 2 (01:32:27):
Wow, look at that. Actually, I'm not that far different
from me. So my division winners again, I have the Eagles,
I have the Lions, I have the Falcons, and I
have the Rams. So I have five teams at ten
and seven. Three can make it as a wildcard. That
would be the Commanders, the Cowboys, the Vikings, the Packers
and the forty nine Ers. And the three that will

(01:32:48):
move on into the postseason will be the Cowboys, the Packers,
and the forty nine Ers, meaning on a tie break,
the Commanders and the Vikings just miss.

Speaker 5 (01:33:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:33:03):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:33:04):
We'll have much more NFL coming up a little bit
later on, but we are turning the calendar to September tomorrow,
which means it's time to take a look at how
it's all going to shake out in Major League Baseball.
Down the stretch. We'll be joined by our Fox Sports
Radio MLB analysts, the great John Paul Morosi. This is
Fox Football Sunday, Harbin and Husky Fox Football Sunday. Once

(01:33:29):
again we're in the Fox Sports Radio studios. We still
have plenty of NFL talk to get to, but tomorrow
we turn the page into the month of September, and
September means it's a run to the finish line in
Major League Baseball. And joining us right now to tell
us how it's all going to shake out is our

(01:33:49):
Fox Sports Radio MLB analysts and also Michigan football insider,
the great John Paul Morosi. So, JP, before we get
into a little baseball update, your impressions of your true
freshman quarterback at Michigan leading them to a win over
powerful New Mexico in their opening game.

Speaker 5 (01:34:11):
Well, good afternoon. First of all, I think we're pretty
darn close. I think VJ and I we had about
the same general score range, and we spoke about a
week ago about where the final score would land for
Michigan or New Mexico. I thought in a lot of
ways it was an ideal opener for Underwood and Michigan

(01:34:32):
in the sense that you saw how stout the defense was.
Of course, it was won some points for New Mexico
that resulted from very favorable field position on their side
with special teams. I think the defense was impressive, some
big plays there, key interceptions, and I thought Underwood was
tested in a good way where he had to come
back and the game was tighter early in the third

(01:34:54):
quarter than a lot of people thought it would be.
And I thought he made some very poised throws down
the stretch. Was very impressed all the way around. So
I thought a good start for him. I'll be curious
to see how Speaking of players with the Michigan lineage
starting tonight, CJ. Carr for Notre Dame, I'm be very
interested to see how he does this evening. And I think,
certainly for Michigan, a big test on the road with Oklahoma.

(01:35:17):
It'll be a tough defense to go against. But not
all things considered, a pretty solid debut for the native
of Belleville, Michigan.

Speaker 2 (01:35:24):
You know, I'm looking at these Major League Baseball standings
as we turn the page of September, and they have like,
you know, percentage odds to make the postseason.

Speaker 1 (01:35:33):
It looks like it's all set. I mean I'm looking
right now. I mean, you got, you.

Speaker 2 (01:35:38):
Know, the Blue Jays, the Yankees, the Red Sox, the Tigers,
the Astros, Mariners, and then you know, you got the Phillies,
you got the Mets, you got the Brewers, you got
the Cubs, you got the Dodgers, and the Padres. I mean,
are we pretty well set right now as far as
which teams are going to see in the postseason?

Speaker 5 (01:35:58):
Not yet. We're getting close, but we're not there quite yet.
And the one spot that could get a little interesting
is that final wild card spot in the American League
that the Mariners. I believe that they'll make it. They've
got a two game lead in the lost column right
now over the Royals, and they should make it. They

(01:36:19):
really should. But I am a little bit worried about
the way they've played since the deadline. I thought they
were going to take off it and be really impressive,
but the bullpen has left them down, including last night.
So for me, I expect that you're right that at
the end of the day that we're probably looking at
those twelve teams that you just mentioned as making it.

(01:36:41):
And I think that the other spot that has solidified
in the last week is I really believe the Reds
would have had a legitimate.

Speaker 14 (01:36:48):
Shot to run down the Mets, and then the.

Speaker 5 (01:36:50):
Mets went out and swept the Phillies at the beginning
of this past week, and the Reds struggled against the Dodgers.
The Red doalve lost eight of ten and just don't
seem to be ready to make a real serious run
at that. So I think in the National League, you're
right that it's probably Cubs, Padres, Mets, as are three
wild card teams. What I think is fascinating, guys, is that,

(01:37:11):
barring a significant change in the hierarchy of the National League,
what I find to be fascinating is that for a
long time, the expectation was the best team in the
National League would be the champion of the West. And
right now, the first place team in the West has
the third best record among the division leaders, meaning that

(01:37:34):
the Dodgers would have to play a first round series
potentially as it looks right now, against the Mets, and
that you would have the Podres and Cubs facing off
right now, that series would be at Wrigley. So that,
to me is what's interesting, that the NL West first
place team is not strong enough to be one of
the two teams that get a buy in the National

(01:37:56):
League playoffs.

Speaker 1 (01:37:57):
Up, JP, how you doing today, brother?

Speaker 5 (01:38:00):
I am outstanding, my friend. The glad that you and
I were watching the same game last night. Got a
little gotta nervy for Michigan.

Speaker 3 (01:38:09):
I've actually watched the game twice already, so I'm a
little bit of ahead of you, man. So I'm gonna
brow the words from the Hall of Fame and personal
friend of Steve and myself who joined us really quick
on our show last week, missed Eric Dickinson and a
Max Steve. How you sound, man? We had twenty four
games left in September. This thing is far from over.
It's far from set. And because you told me to

(01:38:30):
get ready for football season, man, and that I should
just mail it in all my Texas Rangers and all
they've done since then is pulled within three games of
the Wildcard, five and a half out of the al.

Speaker 1 (01:38:40):
Here's the thing, though, they have.

Speaker 3 (01:38:41):
The Astros twice okay in September, Sandwich stand with Arizona, Mets, Milwaukee, Minnesota,
the Marlins, and Cleveland. Tell me why I gotta put
away my Ranger get because I pulled back out the jersey,
and I pulled back out to fit a hat I'm
not selling on from being just three games out of

(01:39:02):
this wildcard and everybody else disrupting this thing and us
sneaking in talk to me.

Speaker 5 (01:39:07):
Well, so here we go, bej as in respects to
the to the Rangers, they have played way better than
I thought they would when we spoke about this a
couple of weeks ago. I remember exactly where I was
standing when I told you that you could focus on football.
Here's the interesting thing about the Rangers.

Speaker 14 (01:39:24):
They have to this point underperformed what their overall production suggests.
And by that I mean they have actually the third
best run differential in all of the American League, the
third best, and yet they are only three games above
five hundred. Okay, that means that basically they've been a.

Speaker 5 (01:39:46):
Little bit unlucky. Now you can look at that and say,
my goodness, maybe they're about to get lucky and sort
of to balance things and progress to the mean, if
you will, and play better over the final stretch. And
that player right now that the ESPN odds have them
at eleven percent to make the playoffs, which certainly well

(01:40:08):
higher than zero. So there's a chance. It's almost like
they're gonna have to play as well, and the teams
in front of them are gonna have to collapse in
the same way that it worked out for the Tigers
last year. It's gonna basically have to be that. In
basically repeating, now, do I expect it to happen to

(01:40:28):
be out of VJ? I still say no. There obviously
is still an absence of Seager, so there are some
concerns there about exactly how they would be able.

Speaker 14 (01:40:37):
To pull it out.

Speaker 5 (01:40:38):
But tell you what, they have performed better than I
thought they would. They're leading right now already early on
in the second inning there against the Athletics. So even
in a situation where they do not have their usual
compliment in terms of Seger not being in a lineup,
they've actually played pretty well. And Jack Peterson has already

(01:40:59):
had a key hit today, Jase Younger, Josh Emma's at
a key had already, So they've had some contributions from
guys that you wouldn't expect. And by the way, they've
got the right guy in the mount today in Jacob Degram,
still giving them a little bit of faith. So I
would say I still think it's football season in Texas,

(01:41:20):
but but there's a little bit of intrigue there. I
would say the biggest sporting event in the next couple
weeks in that region is still going to be Michigan
playing at OBU. But you never know, You never know, VJ.
There's a little bit of a chance there for the
Texas Rangers, all right.

Speaker 1 (01:41:37):
One final thing.

Speaker 2 (01:41:38):
So, at the height of the so called steroid era,
we had two seasons nineteen ninety eight and two thousand
and one in which four players each had at least
fifty home runs and curse.

Speaker 1 (01:41:49):
Now we look back saying, well, it was all tainted.

Speaker 2 (01:41:52):
We are looking at a season where it's very conceivable
that five guys, a record five players may reach fifty
home runs. Raleighs already there, Schwarber's one short, Otani, Swarz
and Judge definitely have fifty in sight. Is anybody going
to screen for an investigation if we have a record
five players with at least fifty home runs this season?

Speaker 5 (01:42:14):
No, and they shouldn't the game. It's different. I would
say this. The baseballs themselves. We've talked about this a
lot in recent years. Are they a little lively er
now than they were a couple decades ago? Probably? They
probably are. And remember the other thing that's different is
the pitchers can no longer use the sticky stuff, right,

(01:42:35):
so the pitchers they've lost that advantage. And also the
general appetite for hitters now is to sell out for
power and to get as many home runs as you
possibly can. So I think for all those reasons that
explains the uptick in power much more than any sort
of nefarious activity. And I think what we're seeing right now,

(01:42:59):
Steven BJ is a fascinating MVP discussion on each side
of the ledger. Is it going to be Judge or
Raleigh in the American League? Is it going to be
Schwarber or Otani in the National League? And I find
it fascinating that of those four name, of the four
names that I just mentioned, three of them, at least

(01:43:21):
at the time being, are our full time dhs. And
then of course Raleigh is the catcher who at times
gets that bats as a DH. So perhaps it's finally
time Steven VJ two shell the longstanding ignoring of great
candidates who happened to be DH's. Obviously, Otani is so
much more than that, But I do find it interesting

(01:43:43):
that technically three of the four are DHS.

Speaker 2 (01:43:45):
Great stuff as always, JP, you know we're going to
find time with it down the road.

Speaker 1 (01:43:50):
We appreciate it today.

Speaker 5 (01:43:52):
Enjoy your week, all the best guys, have a great
rest of the week. Enjoy this amazing start of the
football season.

Speaker 2 (01:43:57):
Absolutely, we will do that. The great job. Paul Morosi
joining us there. Now, let's find out what is trending
with Manzie Belanios right now getting ready.

Speaker 12 (01:44:08):
For her show with Carrie, getting ready, getting ready for
the football season, getting ready just for what feels like
the busiest time of the year.

Speaker 2 (01:44:17):
Oh.

Speaker 12 (01:44:17):
Absolutely, Like I feel like it's gonna go on the
blink of an eye and we're gonna be like Holidays.

Speaker 3 (01:44:22):
Yeah, Mary Christmas, got your big Halloween girls know you already.

Speaker 1 (01:44:26):
Know you start preparing the set.

Speaker 10 (01:44:27):
Tim I am going.

Speaker 12 (01:44:29):
I'll tell we'll chat off air, but yes, VJ knows, Yes,
I started September for Halloween.

Speaker 10 (01:44:35):
You are not wrong. We'll chat off air.

Speaker 1 (01:44:38):
You're not wrong.

Speaker 10 (01:44:39):
You're not wrong.

Speaker 15 (01:44:40):
Also, like just watching college football, safeties are just the
funnest I just love safeties. We've got a top twenty
five matchup going on right now, Number thirteen South Carolina
with a ten to five lead over Virginia Tech with
about two minutes to go in the first half.

Speaker 12 (01:44:53):
Still to come at seven thirty Eastern, Number six Notre
Dame and number ten Miami facing each other. We'll check
in on baseball here. A lot of games have wrapped up. Yes,
the Mariners defeated the Guardians in Cleveland.

Speaker 10 (01:45:04):
Four to two. Marlins beat the Mets in New York
five to one.

Speaker 12 (01:45:07):
Blue Jays over the Brewers eight four, Rays beat the
National seven to four. Red Sox took down the Pirates
five to two. Twins beat the Padres. That's right, seven
to two, and the Reds have had a seven to
four win over the Cardinals. What's happening right now? The
Dodgers on the scoreboard. First against the Diamondbacks in La.
It is two zero. It is still very early on
second inning. Well, seconding is about to start. Rangers blanking

(01:45:30):
the Ace three zero. Bottom of the second. Giants with
the one zero lead at home over the Orioles. Top
of this second Rockies be our beating the Cubs now
four to two.

Speaker 10 (01:45:37):
Top of the six. White Sox have.

Speaker 12 (01:45:39):
Taken the lead from the Yankees three to two. Ninth
inning is about to start in Chicago. Tigers blanking the
Royals five zero. Bottom of the ninth about to start
and the Angels have extended their lead over the Astros.
It's three zero, bottom of the eighth inning. In NFL news,
the Cowboys have signed cornerback darn Bland to a four year,
ninety two million dollar extension. And at the US opening
on the women's side, Force j Just Pagola headed to

(01:46:01):
the quarterfinals on the men's side to Seve Carlos Oukraz.

Speaker 10 (01:46:04):
He just won his fourth round match in straight sets.

Speaker 1 (01:46:07):
Back to you guys, all right, thank you very much, Monee.

Speaker 2 (01:46:09):

have to enter it on an official list that we
have here in the Fox Sports Radio studios. As soon
as we're done with our show at the top of
the hour, a couple of things I want to get

(01:47:03):
to with you before. I know, you have a list
of you know, awards and stuff. I definitely want to
get into that. You know I feel about that stuff.
We really haven't talked about this Michah Parsons situation, so
you know, again, I never I have to be honest,
I did not see any scenario where Michael Parsons was
going to get traded.

Speaker 1 (01:47:21):
I just thought that, you know, he was going to
hold his feet to the fire.

Speaker 2 (01:47:25):
He offered the richest contract and then he didn't involve
the agent. I mean, there's a lot of things that
happen here where Michael Parsons suddenly became expendable, at least
in the eyes of Jerry Jones. I don't think I
think we're on record. I still have the Cowboys as
a playoff team this year. You have him as a
playoff team this year. I'm not one of those that's

(01:47:47):
anointing the Packers as a team that's suddenly a Super
Bowl favorite. I've said this about Michael Parsons throughout his career.
Despite all the accolades, three time finalists for NFL Defensive
Player of the Year, four Pro Bowls, two time first
team All Pro, I feel at times in big games,

(01:48:07):
the guy has been less than a factor. Go back
to that playoff game against Green Bay two years ago
where he had no tackles, no sacks as they were
getting blown out by green Bay. I'm not saying he's
not a great play He's a very good player. But
I don't think that his absence, to be honest with you,
or in the Packers case, his addition is going to
be that much of a factor, right to what are

(01:48:29):
these teams?

Speaker 1 (01:48:30):
Yeah, you're crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:48:32):
He is a top flight player, guys. And see what
happens is when we look at certain players for some reason,
for certain guys, we want to remember guys for what
they haven't done. Are their failings, and we'll throw out
the window all the great stuff that they do and
that they've done. And that's the reason that the defense
was even good is because you had a Michael Parsons

(01:48:54):
on your defense. And I agree with Mancy. If Monty
can hear them, I'm not sure if she can, but
if she can't. Point about the Packers.

Speaker 1 (01:49:01):
They should. They should. They should.

Speaker 3 (01:49:04):
You're one hundred percent right they should. But that's why
they went and made this move. They feel probably how
you feel. We gotta go now like it's it's in
the NFC, it's the Eagles in my opinion, and then
it's everybody else, even though I would put Detroit there
because I'm just not gonna wash away all their weapons
and what they did last year. And you're getting all
those guys back, including hutch who was on the pace

(01:49:27):
for twenty sacks last year. He's getting fifteen plus of
those this year. That guy's backing good. But with Green Bay,
what this does it shows those guys, Okay, the front,
they're all in. We're all in this year. When you
make that type of move, you know they're all in.
And when he walks into that locker room, it's immediate
respect and appreciation for every guy in there because they

(01:49:50):
know what a dog he is. Look did the playoff
stats look good in Dallas? Now? But let's make sure
we talk about how Trayvon Diggs was getting cooked and
getting burnt and he was supposed to be a top
flight corner. Let's make sure we talk about the other
defensive linemen and all the other linebackers there that Jordan
Love was tearing up and down the field. It wasn't
just him. So I think this was a brilliant move

(01:50:13):
by Green Bay. I had a WTF moment when it
hit my phone and then people started texting.

Speaker 1 (01:50:18):
I said, whoa hold up?

Speaker 3 (01:50:19):
The Packers did what that was the last team anybody
mentioned that they that he would be trade to.

Speaker 1 (01:50:25):
I think it's a great move.

Speaker 3 (01:50:27):
I think it's a move Dallas had to make because
they've been doing the same thing, Steve, and we know
the definition of sanity is what brother, Yeah, doing the
same thing?

Speaker 1 (01:50:36):
Sorry?

Speaker 2 (01:50:36):
Were they winning super Bowls? Were they getting into the
conference championship game?

Speaker 1 (01:50:40):
But I mean Jerry Jones.

Speaker 2 (01:50:41):
Said this, He said, look, I mean we're trying to
shake things up, and you know everyone's like, well, the
Packers where they give up Kenny Clark at the end
of his year career and two low first round Pickswell,
we don't know if they're gonna be lower not right,
I mean, would anybody a predicatar the forty nine ers
go six and eleven last year, so you don't know
what's going to happen a year to year in the NFL,
you lose quarterback all of a sudden, one of those

(01:51:03):
could be a.

Speaker 3 (01:51:03):
Top tenakes one ham string or one quad of one ankle,
man of your whole season.

Speaker 2 (01:51:08):
I mean, I don't like the way Jerry Jones handle this,
but look, it's his team.

Speaker 1 (01:51:11):
He can do what he wants. But here's here's the
thing though.

Speaker 3 (01:51:13):
Last year when he signed CD Lamb, I sat right
here on this network and I said, Parsons is gonna
ask for a trade, and he could be traded at
this time last year if people balked and thought I
was crazy, and a year later, here we are. That's
why I think Jerry made the move to because, like
I said, you've been doing the same thing. You signed
the wrong guy first, man, you signed Parsons first, and
then if CD wants to make some beef and wants

(01:51:35):
to be traded, then you want money on that. Then yeah,
but you don't sign CD before you signed Micah and
now Mike's up.

Speaker 2 (01:51:42):
But I think the danger obviously is trading within the
conference well, because I mean it could come down to
a tiebreak.

Speaker 3 (01:51:48):
I look at it.

Speaker 1 (01:51:48):
I've got Tampa.

Speaker 2 (01:51:49):
I look at Green Bay and Dallas both finished at
ten and seven. So I mean, you know, if you're
you know, trade him to the AFC. Now we're gonna
trade him. You go to the other one.

Speaker 3 (01:51:59):
You trade him where you the best package in Here.
Here's the future. Here's a future scenario for you. Fourth
and three NFC Wildcard game. Packers at the Cowboys and
who sex Dak Prescott to end their driving in the game. Michael,
you talk about a runoff the field moment? Man?

Speaker 1 (01:52:17):
Hey, yeah, hey, especially if that game's.

Speaker 3 (01:52:20):
In Dallas, especially if it's in Dallas.

Speaker 1 (01:52:23):
Can you imagine, all right?

Speaker 2 (01:52:24):
Coming up on the other side, we're going to sort
of put a rap on predictions. Vj's got a list
of awards and other little TODs that we have to
take care to put a rap on this one. This
is Fox Football Sunday, Harvin and Husky Fox Football Sunday.
Here in the Fox Sports Radio studios, Monci Belanios Kerry

(01:52:45):
Roads getting ready for their.

Speaker 1 (01:52:46):
Show here at the top of the hour.

Speaker 2 (01:52:48):
And don't forget next Sunday and Zone Radio debuts for
the twenty twenty five season extra hour for us. So
we will get started at ten am on the West coast,
one pm on the East coast, and VJ happy to
have him aboard for this season. So we're uh looking
forward to that. Chris, Bo, Moncey, the whole gang will

(01:53:10):
be here as we get ready for what is going
to be yet another phenomenal year for the National Football League.
Want to thank Moncey today. I want to thank Chris today.
I want to thank Shay. Good to see us. Shay,
thanks for coming in today. One time. This is it, Yeah,
this is it.

Speaker 1 (01:53:26):
No more Lebron talk.

Speaker 11 (01:53:29):
Until you just said his name right there, he had
I told you guys when he plays on the Lakers
next year.

Speaker 2 (01:53:34):
Well it's it's amazing because not next year. Yeah, yeah,
it's not next year. We still we still don't know.
There could be a last second situation.

Speaker 1 (01:53:41):
Cover about one time. I'm sick your fire.

Speaker 2 (01:53:45):
There you go, all right, So VJ, you have a
few other things you want to make some predictions on
here for our listeners on the upcoming NFL season.

Speaker 1 (01:53:54):
What he got.

Speaker 3 (01:53:55):
I want to start with defensive Player of the Year,
because Monty says something very very said about a player
that she thinks is just checked out, and I don't
think he is. And you said, Adam Kaplan looked at
this guys, and there's just some guys you just look
at some time.

Speaker 1 (01:54:08):
Miles Garrett will be defensive player.

Speaker 3 (01:54:10):
Miles Garrett is going to win defensive player to year,
and I think that's what's gonna keep Cleveland interesting and
in a lot of games until this quarterback thing works
itself out.

Speaker 1 (01:54:19):
This guy is legit.

Speaker 3 (01:54:20):
And I think it's the opposite of he got paid,
so he's gonna chill. I think it's he got paid,
so he's gonna show why he got paid. In Remonk.
I think people forgot about him a little bit, hearing.

Speaker 2 (01:54:32):
It Adam for years. And so he was in Brown's camp.
You just think camp, right, and they've got Miles going
head ahead against you know what they got and he
was unblockable.

Speaker 1 (01:54:46):
Yeah, and he says, there's great.

Speaker 2 (01:54:48):
And then there's like off the charts Miles Garrett right
now going into the season, off the truck.

Speaker 1 (01:54:55):
He's I'm with you on that one.

Speaker 3 (01:54:56):
I like eighteen nineteen sacks Man, he's he he might
push that.

Speaker 1 (01:55:00):
Record year for twenty not interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:55:03):
When I'll throw out their first coach fired, going, I'll
let you throw one out their first coach fired.

Speaker 1 (01:55:11):
Well, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go Dable.

Speaker 2 (01:55:13):
I think that the Dable situation is well, I mean,
the reason the reason the Giants didn't fire him last
year is they didn't want to continue to repeat the
pattern of firing a coach every two years, right, and
so you know, he had a promising first year obviously,
and then sold them that Daniel Jones was the quarterback
of the future and that didn't work out. But I
think Brian Dables on a very short leash, and if

(01:55:37):
they get off to a like an oh and you know,
one in seven start or something like that, he will
not finish the scene.

Speaker 1 (01:55:42):
We're two for two.

Speaker 3 (01:55:43):
For the listeners that don't know, Steve can't see my listener, No,
I have an idea ball and my binder like blocking
it because I don't want him to see two for two.
He thinks Miles Garrett Defensive player of the Year. He
also thinks first coach fired Brian Dable MVP. We we're
not gonna agree on this already.

Speaker 2 (01:56:01):
I'm gonna go on record now and I'm gonna tell
you how it's all gonna play out. Because I'm gonna
put my final thought here on the sheet. My super
Bowl is gonna be the Bills and the Eagles, and
the Bills are finally gonna win a super Bowl and
Josh Allen is gonna be back to back MVP.

Speaker 1 (01:56:16):
So there it is right there.

Speaker 3 (01:56:18):
Okay, he's not gonna win the MVP and the Bills
aren't going to the super Bowl, and I'll throw mine
out there too. My super Bowl is Baltimore and Philly.
Lamar finally gets there, but Philly just has just a
little too much, and Jalen Hurts goes back to back
and solidifies what I've been saying for the last year.

(01:56:40):
We got to start to put him up there with
the quarterbacks that we say have to do certain things.
And there's guys out there that ain't done what he's done,
but we keep saying they're better than him because he
has all this around him. We don't say that about
everybody else. But my MVP is gonna be Justin Herbert.
Justin Herbert's gonna win the MVP. Guys, what the Chargers

(01:57:01):
are build, This is what Harball does. I don't understand
why people are fighting again. I guess this is the
one time in his football career he's not gonna do
what we've seen him do over the last ten to
fifteen years at coaching. I think he has a tremendous year.
They're gonna pound the football, he's gonna have easy throws.
He's got his veteran receiver back, he's got a young
guy and Ladd. Look at the tight ends they got there.
Man dis Leygue came out of nowhere where he's with

(01:57:22):
Seattle for three or four years, but then comes here,
gets more targets in one year, and then he got
in four years in Seattle. The coaches up there and
do what they were did. Pete Carroll was up there.
If Pete Carroll didn't know how to use him, give
them to Harball. Harbor knows how to use them.

Speaker 2 (01:57:33):
By the way, yesterday I did the show with e
from Salam and we were talking about our Herbert conversation
as well as the Jalen Hurst where we came up
with him as the number five and he's and I
threw out the trade we were talking about, would you
trade if you're the Eagles? Jalen hurts straight up for
Justin Herbert, and he was pretty much in line with
everyone else saying like, yeah, I mean Herbert can do

(01:57:54):
a lot more at quarterback.

Speaker 1 (01:57:56):
He likes Jalen Hurts, the whole leadership thing, which were
all enamored with.

Speaker 2 (01:58:00):
Yeah, but he says, look, if he goes to the Chargers,
he's nothing but to see the thing.

Speaker 1 (01:58:04):
Is And I said, I don't believe that.

Speaker 2 (01:58:06):
And if he still brings the same leadership qualities to
the team, all right, So you got Herbert's MVP.

Speaker 1 (01:58:11):
I'm going Josh Okay Coach.

Speaker 3 (01:58:13):
Of the Year. Give me Nick Sirianni because I think
the Eagles get the fourteen and three or fifteen and two.
This team is loaded and if you win that many games,
like Andy Reed probably should have won it last year, right,
you have the best team, have the best record.

Speaker 1 (01:58:26):
But for some reason we don't like doing that.

Speaker 3 (01:58:27):
But I think for all the flat that man's taken
got his team back to the Super Bowl in one
one and then they turn around to replicate another great year.

Speaker 1 (01:58:35):
Like who else are you gonna give it to?

Speaker 3 (01:58:37):
Maybe the other Dan Campbell, but I give it to
a fifteen and two team over thirteen and four. Would
I think the Lions would be, So give me Nick
Sirianni as my coach of the years.

Speaker 2 (01:58:46):
Well, I have the Broncos winning the AFC West if
they do win the NFL, obviously, Sean Payton would be
my favorite there. However, However, a coach that finds himself
in a pretty good seat in terms of possible votes
for NFL Coach to the Year is Brian Schottenheimer because
everyone's down playing.

Speaker 16 (01:59:03):
The Cowboys and if they win the division or you know,
they make the playoffs, Wow, he did it without Michael
parsons that Brian Schottenheimer is a pretty good coach, so
he may have bought himself a few votes with them.

Speaker 1 (01:59:17):
Jettison, Michael Parson will agree on this. Next one.

Speaker 3 (01:59:20):
AFC Rookie of the Year. We agree, we agree, we agree.

Speaker 2 (01:59:25):
Come on, Ashen Genty is going to have a monster
year for the Raiders. Pete Carroll likes to run the football.

Speaker 1 (01:59:35):
We saw it. I mean, by the way, how about
Boise without him getting exactly smoked?

Speaker 2 (01:59:41):
I was liking, like I think ESPN had like ten
college experts predicting which twelve schools were gonna Nine of
the ten had Boise State. They get blown out by
South Florida. It shows you that Genty carry that team
a year ago. But by genty is all that ye
comeback Player of the Year. I got a tie Hutchison.
I think because as.

Speaker 3 (02:00:01):
Week four or five, Bradley Chubb and everything that they've
said and they've seen in Miami sat out all next
year from being injured the year before. They say that
guy's back eleven pounds, lighter, bigger, stronger. Fact they say,
Anthony Wheeler say he is one hundred percent back, and
he is the best defender that's been in training camp
for the Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (02:00:20):
And we knew what he was doing in Denver before
he got traded. If Matthew Stafford stays healthy, Deavante Adams
could be comeback Player of the Year.

Speaker 2 (02:00:27):
I mean, you know, it wasn't like he disappeared, but
it was a weird year where he ended up with
the Jets and Aaron Rodgers sorry had disappeared. He could
have a monsterre with Pooka the car on the other side.
He could put up some big numbers next week. Maybe
we'll do it next week.

Speaker 1 (02:00:40):
Keep it here. Much more coming up on Fox Sports
