Speaker 1 (00:00):
Please, you're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Living the dream once again, a fully loaded week, seven
Sunday in the NFL. This is ends the radio and
we are in the Fox Sports Radio studios. Six games
kicking off right now. Saints at the Bears, Dolphins at
the Browns, Patriots at the Titans, Raiders at the Chiefs,
Eagles at the Vikings, Panthers at the Jets. One game

(00:25):
in the book already today and who saw this coming?
I mean the Jaguars. Essentially, London is a home game
for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Rams had spent the entire
week on the East Coast, have been practicing out of
Camden Yards out there in Baltimore, did not arrive in
London until exactly twenty four hours before the game. Five

(00:50):
touchdown Patthews passes for Matthew Stafford today vj as they
absolutely demolish the Jacksonville Jaguars. Getting back to what you
know talking about earlier in the year, how good are
the Rams? Well, the Rams are good if they have
a healthy Matthew Stafford. He's healthy and even without Pooka Nakua,
they put the hurt on the Jags today. Always first

(01:14):
of all. What's up, my man? How are you today?
I'm doing good. Hall of famer A man. We were excited,
We're excited. Another big week in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
I have another big week in the NFL to follow
a huge day in college football yesterday and a huge
week in Major League Baseball that we've had.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
So it's been a great week of sports.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
As of the game this morning, you and I have
talked about the rams like honestly at NAZI and we
we really do feel like you and I are both
Matthew Stafford. Guys, I'm of the elk. If he's a
Hall of Famer. If you don't think he's a Hall
of Famer, honestly, we we can't talk quarterback, Hall of
Fame football. We can talk about other stuff, but let's
just leave this one alone. I've always loved this guy
coming out of high school when he's in West Texas,

(01:50):
before he went to Georgia, following up through Georgia and
through the years in Detroit, and he's got the ring
like he got with a competent team, a competent franchise,
a competent GM, a competent head coach, and he went
I mean and immediately boom, he's holding the Lombardy and
then they have some down years, but he's still that
guy that you feel like if you got him and
then you added Devontae Adams. You and I were talking,

(02:11):
he's forcing, he's forcing, he's forcing.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Pooka goes down.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
I said, well, guess what he's guess what he's gonna
have to do now, And he did it today.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
How did the Jaguars. I'm listening.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
I got two people on Defonte Adams all damn lay Long,
somebody else is gonna have to beat me three touchdown passes.
But McVeigh, we both love him. He is a top
five coach in my opinion. Matthew Stafford is still a
top ten quarterback. They have young pieces, They are a
competent franchise. They play hard. They haven't been bit hardcore
by the injury bug. You remember last year they started
off like they look like the Ravens, right, and but

(02:40):
guys got healthy. They lose a lot of guys for
the year, but they had a bunch of guys six weeks,
seven weeks, four weeks, five weeks. Guy started off slow,
guys came back healthy and then what they do They
go they win the division. So right now they're on
Pac and jackson This game didn't make me look at
Jacksonville like eh. The overseas games to me, steve their
coin flip, like their whole games.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
I think the Rams, the idea that they laid it
waited as long as they could to essentially fly into
London was smart. There's no reason to hangout in London.
Let's flying. Get in, get out, and that's what the
Rams did.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
There's different waters, like, everything is different. It's not bad,
but everything's different. Get over there, get the dumb get
back home.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
By the way, we have a chain conversations here on
the show during the week, and you know, we were talking
about what was happening with Otani and the Dodge and
everything else, and then we got into the Thursday night game,
which was an incredible performance by Joe flock out two days,
two days work in that offense and the Bengals pull

(03:43):
off a huge win over the Steelers. But I took
exception to that game for one reason. I watched that game,
and in fact, I had to read I pulled a VJ.
Husky because he likes to watch games over and over again. Yes,
I watched that game because I wanted to see if
I actually had seen what I had seen. There you go.
That game. That game, and I've been watching NFL football forever,

(04:06):
was the worst tackling game I've ever seen in my
entire life. I mean, bar none, and both teams were guilty.
I mean, we've talked about this at nauseum about the
lack of practice, the lack of training camp, the lack
of repetition, you know, to try to protect the players,
you know, even though it seems like we have more
injuries than ever before. But when you talk about padding

(04:30):
passing numbers, it's a lot easier to pad your passing
yards when guys are literally not being tackled, getting an
extra ten to fifteen twenty yards. The tackling in that
game was non existent. I know the NFL is a
big proponent of the future of flag football right now, Fine,
then let's put flags on them right now, because that's

(04:50):
what I'm seeing. Remember we were talking about this a
few years ago with the Pro Bowl before they finally
pulled the plug on that game. Okay, what is this
touch football? The tackling horrific. Yeah, they don't know how
to tackle in this league. Anymore, and it really makes
me upset.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Listen, the tackling was horrific, But what it is is,
and this is ironic. When I covered the Michigan USC
game last week, I had ax Rob More. He was very,
very disgruntle in the postgame and I told you this
story off the air where he just kept saying, we
gotta tackle better, we gotta tackle better.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
We got it.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
He did it like three or four times, and the
last time they allowed somebody ask to go. That just
kind of throw my hand up the game one in
because I need more than that, and I ask them,
I get what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
I'm not trying to pound on you.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
But what is it? Is a schematics? Is it fundamentals?

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Is it? Body position? Is it? Is it getting off blocks?
Is it reads? Like?

Speaker 3 (05:35):
What is it that's causing you to mistackling? Because it's
one of those things that causes players to miss tackles.
And the one thing I always look out just look
at players' body positions that you see more arms flailing
because you're overrunning a guy. You don't break down, you
don't keep your chests up, you don't get your butt down,
and keep your eyes on his waist.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
He can't go anywhere without his waist. He is.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
He can do shoulders you see high and that is
not a tackle that you have to zero in on
their core and bring them down and know how to
wrap up somebody and tackle them.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Just it was so infuriating and was guilty. Both teams
were guilty of it. It was, you know, and you're
talking about this this physical you know AFC nor Cincinnati,
They was socking soft. I mean, and I'll added to
this too.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
It was It was weird to see it from a
Tomlin coach team because Tomlin is one of the fundamental
type of defensive coaches in the league and they have
always been a great tackling team. They don't hit hard,
they tackle you and get you to the ground. You
don't get a lot of yack in a lot of
yards up to contact with playing against the SOO, So
what's surprising to see from a Tomlin?

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Oh man, it was really unbelievable, all right, first points
of the day, Tennessee Titans get a field goal, take
an early three nothing lead over the red hot AFC
East leading Patriots. Right now, they're number one in the
AFC East. They got the tie break head ahead against Buffalo.
So Buffalo is now and this is really what we're
talking about. We're sitting here now as we have Week

(07:11):
seven of the NFL, and we're trying to make sense
of what's happening. I mean, the prime example to me
are the Chiefs. By the way, if the playoffs started today,
the Chiefs are still not in the playoffs. They are
the eighth seed right now in the AFC. But after
their winning against Detroit, all of us sudden, all their
problems are over. Chiefs are the team to be. And

(07:32):
I'm like, oh, I'm sorry, I am I seeing something here.
They're three and three. They have lost games that they
should have won, their own three and one score games
after winning seventeen consecutive one score games. How did the Chiefs,
after one home win against the Lions suddenly rise to

(07:52):
the top of the charts? What am I missing?

Speaker 3 (07:54):
This is really easy for me, and I threw this
down in my notes and I text you about this
the other night. Remember how we going to the NFL season.
What's normally the mantra between offenses and defenses. Offenses of
normally ahead of defenses. And you see these teams, you
see these scorers. You see the Jets come out and
put up thirty plus points. I don't know if they've
cracked twenty since then. Maybe I think the Dallas game

(08:16):
a garbage touchdowns that they can't score.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
But the opening weeks you get that.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
What we saw last week is we saw the top
two offenses in football. That's the Buffalo Bills and the
Detroit lines. Get locked down because now we're into week six,
Week seven, defenses, you know what they have.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
They got six weeks to tape on you.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
They got a lot of tape, not from last year,
not from prezon, No, they got regular season game tape.
And now the defenses are starting to show. It wasn't
surprising to me how that Detroit Chiefs game went because
it still Spacks's defense. You know, for sure, the Chiefs
are gonna hold you on defense. It's their offense that's
been lacking for Kansas City. That defense has been fine

(08:55):
all year long. And when the defense is fine and
Kansas City gets a little stuff clicking, like where's that,
where's that? Travis Kelce been right, where's that? Where's that guy?
Ben right, He's gonna have those spark moments this year,
Ladies and gentlemen, trust me. It's not gonna be the
Travis Kelce we remember or the one that's going to
the Hall of Fame. He's just gonna have those late career,
but when you need them on nights like that, and
you could get him the ball. You saw the one

(09:15):
bobble catch where he's you could tell he knows it's
coming down the track for him.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
But I'm in it. I'm here, I'm.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Gonna stick with it. We want to go get another ring.
So that's what I saw. And then you saw Buffalo
again for the third straight week.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Now.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Buffalo has not looked great there, the record has and
it's just like Pittsburgh for one yet.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
But put the tape on. Is that you got.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
We were saying this about the Eagles last week, we
were saying this about Kansas City last year. We were
saying this about the Steelers. What was it two three
years ago? But the Steelers started like nine to one
or ten and one, and some people like, dude, that's
not a real ten and one team, but they are
what they are. But the cream rise to the top
man in some of these games. I think that's where
we are right now. Steve is the defenses today. Watch today,
Watch these games go under today. Watch a lot of
these games go under. These defense are gonna be locked in.

(09:56):
I don't see any high scoring games today, all right.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
So one that's going on right now Dolphins at the
Browns Battle of one in five. Remember the Dolphins only
win this year is against the winless Jets. If they
lose at Cleveland today, is that it for Mike McDaniel.
I was looking at their schedule. They don't have a
buye for their bias later in the year. I mean,

(10:21):
usually wait till a bye week if you're going to
make a coaching change, it makes a little bit easier.
But I mean, seriously, man, if they go to one
and six. And by the way, the two a tongue
of Ioloa meltdown postgame after their latest loss where he
basically fired off on his teammates and really indirectly his coach,

(10:41):
losing the locker room everything else. Then he had to
come back. I guess he had to apologize, which he
did sort of. He was misinterpreted on what he was heying.
I mean, when you get to a situation like that
where all of a sudden, your quarterbacks making strong comments
and then he's backing off on these comments that to
me talks out a team in total disarray and it's

(11:02):
time to make a coaching change. I don't know if
it's a total disarray.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
And I didn't have a problem with anything Tua did Sunday.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
What I had the.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Problem with was the comeback in the apology, because I
think we have to be honest to be real about Tua.
Tua is a leader, he's just not He's uncomfortable with
being this this raw, raw guy that's behind the scenes
trying to hold this theme together. And what I saw,
honestly was a quarterback who just basically said, Okay, if
this is what we're gonna do, I'm trying to do
it behind closed doors. We're going into year five and
this is what it still is, then fine. I don't

(11:31):
understand how we want players to be real and be
organic and give us stuff and then we pick and
choose by how we feel about the player, whether we
appreciate or like what they gave us.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
He gave us authenticity.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
If there are players missing meetings and it's probably been
addressed behind closed doors, all right, no problem, man, I'm
the franchise quarterback. I'm gonna stand here and say we
need Tom Brady's called out his own coach indirectly before,
like the quarterbacks have done this, but people don't like
to it. So therefore it's, oh my god, look at this.
The apology I felt like was, Bro, you should have
just stuck with what you said. You said it, it's
out there apology. Then people came back, Oh I respected here, man,

(12:02):
Come on, no, I said it. This is what it was.
If you don't like it, don't ask me to question.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
That's how I received it, all right, Speaking of disrupting
things in the locker room, one guy that's happy right now.
A J Brown thirty seven yard touchdown reception from Jalen
Hurt says, the Eagles jump on the Vikings first seven nothing.
By the way, they gobbled up eight minutes to open
up that game, so we'll see where they had the
old Toush push as well. So Eagles seven to nothing lead. Also,

(12:31):
the Bears are on the board right now against the
Saints within an early field goal three nothing. Bears. All right,
we're just getting started. Here's six games around the NFL. Again.

Hurts Linzoba, Pico's Trips, White previous savers, Park's leader was
left motion. AJ Brown from right to left hurts his back,
hurts looking, he's still looking, still looking leaving going down
going for AJ Brown caught it to ten in from
touchdown hurts the Brown and Brown fires in under the stand.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
That's ninety four wip Eagles Radio Network, and just like that,
the Eagles lead the Vikings seven nothing. However, Vikings have

right down the field Patrick Mahomes six for six eighty

(14:45):
eight yards to a touchdown pass that where she rice
And just like that, Yeah, the Chiefs lead the Raiders
seven nothing. By the way, I was listening to our
morning show, the Vegas odds on this game just skyrocketed
like chie's open a like nine and a half. It
went up to twelve, like they are desperate for the
Raiders to keep this game close. All the money in

(15:06):
on the Chiefs. So here I'm, you know, questioning why
all of a sudden, the Chiefs are getting all this recognition. Well,
that opening drive against the Raiders, they look like an
absolute juggernaut. I don't know how much that's the Chiefs
and just how bad the Raiders have been so far
under Pete Carroll.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
I found this game at eleven and a half, and
that's when I took it late last night, at about midnight.
You know, the Chiefs are fifteen and one in their
last sixteen games straight up at home. They're twenty and
three of their last twenty three games as a favorite,
so this wasn't much of.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
A hard page.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Listening to my good guy Bernie Fraddle last night here
in Fox Sports Radio on his show, he always has
this rule, he doesn't like double digit division spreads. That's
always been a thing for him. So I've always I
took that from Bernie Fraddle. I now use that. So
when I saw this, the first thing I thought was,
I actually took the Raiders to cover the under on this.
I heard the show that's on before his Bill and

(15:58):
Brian knowing all those great guys doing the show before us, Uh,
they like the the under twenty three in the first half.
So they told me and then the over runners forty
five and a half. So the Chiefs haven't had an explosion.
That's a great, you know, opening drive. But this is
still a division game, and with division games you get
one or two things. Either get a blowout or you
get a game where you're like, how in the hell

(16:21):
did this team even keep up with this team? But
this offense in geno Smith, you want to talk about changing?
Smith just dropped the center snap crazy, Like, I'm not
sure if I've ever seen a quarterback come in with
a lot of questions struggle, then have this up tip.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
In his career and we all go, you know what
we were wrong about?

Speaker 3 (16:42):
This guy gets a max deal and then all of
a sudden, out of nowhere, not like over here, the
next following season opening day doesn't even look like the
same quarterback.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
I just the turnovers have been crazy and he's not
been throwing accurately, and right now they are facing a
third and long, right now, already down seven to nothing.
The Chiefs not looking good for the Silver and Black.
All right. Some other teams that we're sort of keeping
an eye on today the Bears. So the Bears are
playing the Saints today at home. They have a three

(17:15):
to nothing lead. Bears are three and two, right, you know,
and we talk about Ben Johnson and is this one
of those young coaches that can turn a team around.
And you know, you get the home win against the
Saints four and two, all of a sudden, you're like, Okay,
the Bears are definitely. Look at Gino Smith just absolutely

(17:36):
getting crushed by this Chiefs defense. It's gonna be a
long day, just ante. I put it this way. Anybody
that wagered on the Raiders today, why, I don't know
what you're doing. I mean at Kansas City, Bernie Frattle said,
you don't do it. Okay, Well we'll see anyway. But
I mean, are we taking Ben Johnson seriously? Do you
think he has changed the dynamic for Caleb Williams and

(17:58):
that Bears team? Absolutely? Absolutely? How was it?

Speaker 3 (18:01):
The only way this was not going to work out
is if Caleb Williams wanted to just still be Superman Oklahoma,
Gonzaga High School, you know, USC Heisman Trophy, he still
wants to be that guy, we could go to work.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
We have a special guest on right now, Johnny Us
from London. After the Rams huge victory today against the
Jacksonville Jaguars. Jared Verse is joining us right now. Jared,
how are you today? Many from smooth tied? Hey, Jared, Look,
I mean it was interesting. You guys sort of waited
as long as you could to make that trip over

(18:39):
to London, and you guys have never looked better. Give
us a little sense of traveling to London with only
really twenty four hours in London to prepare for this game,
and how it may have actually helped you focus on
this game.

Speaker 7 (18:52):
Yeah, we just sailed like a West Coast the East
Coast game. We used to travel in four or five
hours to get to the East Coast.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
We were like with a Sam Baltimore, how we usually
do come over there.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
And get some good work.

Speaker 8 (19:02):
Here.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
We're going into the BIB week. I'm not going into
the Bible with a loss.

Speaker 6 (19:05):
It was not letting that happen.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
Jeff Versus vj Vernon Husky. Here man, a pleasure to
be speaking with you. Great win today, man, great team collapse.
I often cover you guys almost every game last year,
so I got a chance to see you guys up
close and personal. And you guys have like this camaraderie,
in this chemistry that's just undeniable.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
And I think it starts with your head coach. But
talk to.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
Me mentally, what is about being a young guy in
the league and you know, your leader, Matthew Stafford, Hall
of Famer, super Bowl champion, you got a shot every
single day.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
I'm sorry, No, I can't.

Speaker 7 (19:34):
I can't hear you. I can't hear you starting to
cut out.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
What does it What does it mean to have a
guy like Matthew Stafford leading this team?

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Man? Are you hearing all right? So we watched her there? Yeah,
I mean it happens when you go a long way Wood.
We can hear him lot and clear. By the way,
I mean, what a young player he is. I mean

(20:00):
last year's NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year obviously, but
a big win again and you know, just the idea
that you know they were. They plan it beautifully. I
mean they go to Baltimore and take care of obviously
struggling Ravens team and then decide to stay in Baltimore
prepare the entire week. They actually worked out of Camden Yards,

(20:21):
did not fly in the London until literally twenty four
hours before the game, and demolished the Jags today.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Steve, you know what smart franchises normally, do they make
smart decisions?

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Yeah, they do.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
That's what smart franchises normally do. They make smart decisions.
This is just a very very smart franchise. And listen,
you've spoke about this team. You think they can go far.
I like them as a wildcard definitely. And then I have.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Matthew Stafford can stay healthy.

Speaker 3 (20:44):
Right right, Well, that's any team. We know that with
the QB position. But I just I love the way
this team is constructed. I love the chemistry of this team.
The head coach is awesome to me, you know, I
feel about Matthew Stafford. They got young pieces, they've drafted
very well, and then they've added Vets when they needed
to add Vets to give you that extra Unford guy,
and they got a chip on his shoulder and they

(21:04):
need to feel like they still got something to prove.
I thought DeVante Adams might have been the best offseason signing.
I said that here on our show over the summer
because just of his ability and when I saw him
on receiver and he was miked up and hearing the
stuff he was saying on the sideline of the Raiders.
I said, Okay, you need to get that guy out
of there because he is checked out, but he still
got something left in the tank. And the Jets is
just the Jets, so we knew what that was gonna be.

(21:25):
But here's an opportunity, man for them to actually quiet
a lot of the oh it's over with the Rams people,
and we could be sitting in the second playoff weekend
in January and we're like, okay, so the Rams take
on such.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
And such today. We can be in the same position
we were last year with this team. All right, we
got six games going on right now, watching this new
England Tennessee game, which is actually right now. Titans lead
this game. As you know, they have a new coach
after getting rid of Brian Callahan. It's a guy I know, well,
Mike McCoy I got stories, Oh do I have stories

(22:00):
his days.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
With the charge guys. He was telling me Raider stories
before we came on the hand.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
I got, I got stories today. But McCoy is is
the former Charger coach and I got stories about him.
But burs, let's find out what is a trending right now? Monsie.

Speaker 9 (22:18):
Quite a week for it's it's been a busy week
in sports.

Speaker 10 (22:22):
Absolutely, but that's how we like it.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
Exciting times where you're out at Dodgers Stadium at all.

Speaker 9 (22:27):
From absolutely not this is gonna sound like but been there,
done that?

Speaker 2 (22:32):
You know exactly what I'm saying. I know one thing.
You know, when people I.

Speaker 9 (22:35):
Know that sounds bad, it's like a so so I know,
but coming from you, it is there.

Speaker 10 (22:42):
I just been there, done that.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
Yeah. Well, the thing about it is, here's the thing
that drives me crazy when I'm seeing the full champagne
cell only in baseball. Yeah, I get it, like one
hundred and sixty two games, right, you make the postseason,
but after a wild card series, a division series.

Speaker 7 (23:00):
Over?

Speaker 2 (23:01):
What is that? I think the Lakers? Do you think
the Lakers after winning a Western conference would have a
full champagne the Lakers today, Yes, yeah, the Lakers today.
They don't celebrate it. Yes, no, no, no, no no
no no no no. I know I know the story
behind that. I know the story behind that. The Lakers
had zero intention of any celebration. The NBA mandated it.

(23:25):
As they try to push that mandated with uh, they said,
you will and you will put a banner up They're like,
we're not putting a banner up next our NBA freaking away.
It looks so I feel like I'm in a high school.
It was. It was ridiculous. The NBA say you will,
and you will because we're going to make this thing work.
All right, what's happening.

Speaker 9 (23:45):
Listen, the Titans are making something work. We're going to
start there because the Titans are on top of the
Patriots right now, ten to three. Late in the first quarter,
cam Ward threw a nice touchdown pass to Chimeri DK,
his first career touchdown, so obviously he kept the ball.

Speaker 10 (23:59):
But the up right now, new coach, Hey, they're filling themselves.
The Browns are up on the Dolphins right now three zero.

Speaker 9 (24:05):
After the first period, the Bears were driving and Kayleb
Williams through an interception, So the Saints have the ball
right now, but the Bears are up three zero. Also,
late in the first you guys talked about Patrick Mahomes
and Rashi Rice connecting for a touchdown. Already, Kareem Hunt,
I'm looking to see if there's an update. He was
hurt on that play and he actually was helped off
the field by Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 10 (24:25):
And Travis Kelce.

Speaker 9 (24:26):
There is no update, but Kareem Hunt was definitely helped
off the field after that play. Chiefs are up on
the Raiders seven zero, late in the first. All these
other two games are also late in the first, but
the Eagles have a seven.

Speaker 10 (24:37):
To three lead.

Speaker 9 (24:37):
Oh for the Vikings, and the Panthers are up on
the Jets right now three zero, also late in the first.
Rams crushed the Jags thirty five to seven in London.
Travis Hunter with his first career touchdown, eight catches, one
hundred and one yards and a touchdown, And in NBA
news and Casey I missed it, Kevin Durant has agreed
to a two year, ninety million dollar extension with the Rockets.
He is now the highest has a his career earnings

(25:01):
apparently in NBA history, five hundred and ninety eight point
two million, surpassing Lebron who has five hundred and eighty
three point nine.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
And he's played what eight less huh yeah, yeah, yeah,
Max dials.

Speaker 10 (25:16):
And he's already like talking smack on your Twitter.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
When you're when you're sixteen and you can shoot from
anywhere on the of course, yeah yeah, and when and
when you can ride the co tales of Steph Curry
to win a couple of championships.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
I didn't we were in that trade. That's so I
didn't know. Okay, we never talked about Okay, I'm with
that too.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
My dear friend Jason McIntyre, j Mack, he's a big
Durant guy, right, we used to get into heated arguments
about this.

Speaker 11 (25:40):
I'm like, you know, okay, I'm not denying the guy's
and he's super good. Yeah of course, but you know,
you know, jumping on the bandwagon with Warriors to get
a call rings.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
How's he? How many wings? Says he had? Since big
fed zero in your finals? Too quick thing.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
I saw Kevin Durant at sixteen years old. He played
for an AU team in DC called a DC.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
Assault with Michael Beasley. Wow, was a player.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Then I watched him at Montrose Christian Academy in Landover, Maryland,
and at seventeen you can see him and.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Go, oh, okay, how about this? You ready for this? Yeah?
His rookie year. Remember they were the Seattle Supersonic says
rookie year and Pjo was his coach And so we interviewed.
I was working with Michael Thompson, who, by the way,
insisted that he was going to be a bust. Okay,
he went over and over and over. Greg Godin would
be the star and no one will ever remember Kerevin Durant.

(26:32):
But after his rookie season, we had PJ. Carlissimo on
as they were moving to Oklahoma City, and we're like,
how good is Durant? He says, I'll put it this
way this after his rookie season, I would not trade
him right now for any player in the NBA. I
really wouldn't trade him for Lebron. I mean we were
rattling off names. He goes, would time Kobe. I mean,

(26:54):
you really would not trade him for nobody. So he
was one guy I saw good. I'm sorry, Manci, we've
done I mean, I oh, all right, So there we go.
We just get talking here or I get talking. All right.
We're in the Fox Sports Radio studios and zone or radio.
We're gonna get a preview coming up with the Packers

(27:15):
Cardinals matchup. Kenny Albert is going to be joining us
a little bit later in this hour. Just quickly about
Mike McCoy, the interim head coach of the Tennessee Titans.
He was the head coach of the Chargers. I was there.
He was one of those classic young coaches that would
never take blame ever if they would lose, and they
were losing a lot of games in the last couple
of years. He would literally sit there with the media

(27:38):
and say, look, we put together a perfect game plan,
players just didn't execute. He did this week after week
after week, and I'm like, Okay, maybe it wasn't a
perfect game plan, maybe your game plan sucked. But he
was one of those guys that would never take blam
and he did something that will never be done before.

(28:00):
After he got fired by the Chargers, the Broncos hired
him as their offensive coordinator. He got he actually got
fired midway through the first season. The following year, the
Arizona Cardinals highever his offensive coordinator, and he got fired
midway through the season. Now, think about that offensive coordinator
for two NFL teams in his first year got fired

(28:24):
mid season in both jobs. That's who Mike McCoy is. Wow. Yeah,
not the right guy for the time.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
I was about to say yeah, But nowadays, I think
one of the best jobs in the world, a job
I would love. It would be a fired coach because
you still have money, like maybe a fired college coach
because you're still get forty and fifty million dollars for
not having a job. Really quick on this Titans game,
I actually there's always you know me, Steve, I like
to think outside the box.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
I hate I hate low hanging fruit.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
I want that tangerine that's way up at the top
of the tree that ain't no bugs and no nobody,
no hands, and no monkeys and stuff messed with is
too high.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
I like to try to really reach.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
I looked at this Pats tights in Titans game and
it was a plus seven. Last night when I did
these numbers over, it was forty two and a half.
Even though the Titans six eighteen and one man in
their last twenty five against the spread as the dog,
I felt like what we saw with New England and
there in first place. But I think a game like
this makes people go, oh oh, they got the Titans,
yet they got that one. This Titans team's played tough,

(29:17):
This tightan teams beat the Cardinals team that actually knocked
out is the reason why Kyler Murray is still out
again today. Like this Titans team they play tough and
cam Ward we just don't talk about the kid and nothing.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
He's the number one overall pick.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
And I'm not saying he's gonna set the world on
fire this year, but there's a reason why he was
the number one overall pick. He's got a ton of talent.
We don't talk about him the nation. I talk about him.
He's not on mainstream right now. But I looked at
this spread. This is one of my underdogs today. I
took the Titans to cover this seven. Well, you're after
a great start. You want to hear some numbers.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
Cam Ward already six to seven, one hundred one yards
in a touchdown on the other side, Drake May you
know my Mike Rabel's got to be coach of the year, right,
he's got the Patriots off though four and two start,
he's three or four for eight yards. So cam Ward
six to seven, one hundred one yards and the score,
Drake May three or four eight yards so early on,
cam Ward dominant. They just got to the end of

(30:10):
the first quarter there, Titans leave this game ten to three.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
And by the way, the Patriots this year three and
zero on the rope. Yeah, they're they're they're they're they're
fear that they should go into Tennessee and win. But
I don't know whatever is happening right now. Cam Ward
has a perfect passer rating of one fifty eight point
three in the first quarter. So that I'm into that,
I'm a numbers.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
Guy, that I see number Steve passer rating, passer ratings.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Calculated, I don't even know. And I'm a football head man,
I don't because I don't care about passer rating. All right,
I want to get out a little early, so uh both.
So we have a little extra time on the other
side for Kenny Albert. All right, so we'll get a
preview coming up here that Packers Cardinals game coming up
a little bit later on. This is end Zone Radio.

Speaker 12 (30:57):
One receiver to the left, three to the right, face
hand off, the cam rolls right now, set to.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
Feet, throws back to the left, downfield hits. Come on,
fucking Titans touchdown jim DK thirty eight yards WGFX one
oh four point five Titans Radio Network. Titans leading the
Patriots by a score of ten to three. Right now,
By the way, Carson Wentz is through a pick six.

(31:23):
There's a reason why Carson went where yeah, I got lost.
Eagles jumping out to a fourteen to three lead right
now on the road against the Vikings, so getting well
quick against the Carson Wentz led of Vikings. What is
the update right now on your boy JJ McCarthy's what's

(31:44):
his today?

Speaker 3 (31:45):
He was the third emergency quarterback. I think what they
were doing. Listen, he had the lower he had the
knee of the meniscus and then another lower stremme agry.
You want to kind of walk your way into this.
They're sitting at three and two. There was really no
big rush for him back. I feel like they he's
still the future. Could if he wasn't, then Wentz wouldn't
be in there. They'd have found some other younger guy
that throw in there and try to see what they

(32:05):
can get out of him. They didn't do that, so
I think probably next week or the week after that,
he should be there. But they're missing some other pieces
to their offensive line is banged up. The defense continues
to play well, but not with Carson Wentz throwing. You know,
pick six is like this at home in a game
of this game in which I took the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
I'm still on the Eagles train. I'm not gonna let
the sky fall.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
If the sky can't fall for Buffalo, then it can't
fall for the for the Eagles. For me, if it
doesn't fall for Buffalo, is not falling for the Eagles.
So Vikers, they should be fine, man, once JJ gets back.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
All right, well we'll see right now though they're down
big to the Eagles. Speaking of down, the Dolphins are
down after a it was a forty six yard touchdown.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Run or a run surprise, surprise, Yeah, they give Sunday
Steve Yeah on.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
Jenkins junkins sixty four forty six yards for a touchdown
nine to three. There was an injured player on the play.
I didn't see where that was.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Nico Fitzpatrick got a bow. Fitzpatrick by blond side of it.
I got a good block one.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
So we keep an eye on that. New England trying
to get back in this game right now against the Titans.
I just saw a big run by Drake may We
mentioning the fact that you know Mike Vrabel. It's amazing
when you have an experienced coach and he can identify talent.
Here's the thing that Rabel learned from his mentor, Bill
Belichick's here's how I f to operet as a head

(33:23):
coach in the NFL. You have to identify what the
talent is in each player that they have, because everyone
has a certain talent, and then, I know this is
a novel idea, put them in a position to succeed.
What yes, So if you do something, well, I'm going
to put you in a position where we're actually going

(33:46):
to be able to use your talent. And so you
have everyone talks about, well they don't have talent in
New England. Well they may not have as much talent
as other teams, but they do have talent. If you're
playing in the National Football you have talent, Okay, So
you have to identify what it is your players can
do well and then put them in a position to succeed.
And that's how Mike Vrabel has already turned things around

(34:09):
for the New England Patriots.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
So you mean, don't take players and try to make
them do things that only you want them to directly,
you mean, actually take a professional player that's making multi
millions of dollars to play a game and figure out
Because you're the coach, so it's really your job.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
To figure out how to scheme.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
So that your players are successful and then hold up, Steve,
I got it, and then't have them do their job.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
Oh Steve, it's crazy, dude, This is crazy. This is
what mean. This is the frustrating thing to me, year
after year after year when you hear this guy's a bust,
bust bust, they're usually a bust because they were put
in a position right to fail, right, right, you know,
you know you you ask. Quarterbacks obviously are the prime example, right,

(34:58):
you have a quarterback that's running a completely different system
in college than what they're asked to do in the NFL,
and they don't succeed. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
Tom Brady said it best is and I keep referencing
this because I just thought it was so great where
he was on a show and someone said that, you know,
I think by year two Thanksgiving you should know. He said,
you're assuming, though, that every team knows how to develop
a quarterback.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
I see.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
You're assuming that everybody knows how to do the job
that they've been paid to do, and that's not the case.
You have to know how to develop a quarterback in
today's NFL or yester the year's NFL, and definitely moving
into the futures, we see these rule changes, we see
these offenses evolve, and you know, guys can't hit anymore.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
You know, you can't touch receivers down the field.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
You're gonna have to come up with things. But you're
gonna have to develop the guy. You can't just take
Caleb Williams from the USC and say, Okay, stay this
version of you for the next fifteen years. No, you better.
I need ten versions. I need ten times better than this.
But this is the reason why we drafted you, because
we know we can get those ten times versions better
than you out of you.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
If you listen. I go back to Joe Montana. Joe
Montana was not an All American in Notre Dame. Oh
he was a guy. Okay, he had a nice touch.
He's a third round draft pick. But Bill Walsh had
a clear set on this West Coast offense that he
wanted to run, and he was looking for a quarterback
that fit the system. And what happened became history. So again,

(36:28):
right place, right time, wrong place, wrong time. That is
a story around the National Football League at.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
The West Coast offense. Steve Yeah one two three releases
one two.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
Three release a quarterback that could throw the ball accurately
put only out and that's exactly what he did. By
the way, speaking of throwed accurately, this game may be
the blowout of the year Chiefs Raiders. It's already fourteen
to nothing. Patrick Mahomes is twelve to fifteen, one hundred
and forty five yards and two touchdowns in this game.

(36:59):
Won to Rice, one to Hollywood Brown. So they're off
and running right now. The Raiders don't ask, They can't
get anything going. And now New England is now driving
and they are trying to get right back in this
game right now. Drake May again looks like an entirely
different quarterback this year. You know it's not perfect, but

(37:19):
he's doing a lot more positive things and staying away
from the negative. Don't do more than we ask you
to do your job. Do your job. Look at early
in Tom Brady's career, what were they telling him that
was a defensive oriented team. Don't screw this up. Stick
with the script. As he developed as a quarterback, they

(37:41):
were able to expand the playbook and the second part
of his career suddenly became a prolific passer.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
Yeah, throw to Troy Brown, handsOn Corey Dillon. Yet right,
you know, just runner running back. No one wants from
Cincinnati turn a hand in his guy throw. The guy's
like Troy Brown, right, who's playing every position on the field.
He's playing all three phases of the game for the
Patriots at the time.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
No, you're right, you just do your job.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
But this, this Buffalo game, this Patriots team is still
very interesting to me because I think the Buffalo win
made us go, oh wow, they've arrived. And they've also
beatn a couple of bad teams also too. So I
just want to see and I'm not knocking them, just
want to see what this looks like today because this
is Mike Raybell going back to his old team. You know,
his players want to you know, play for coach. But
you also know Tennessee, hey, we want to beat this guy.

(38:27):
You know he's the coach here is It's same thing
with players go back to other places.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
Man. So I just thought Tennessee would play tough today.
Once again.

Speaker 3 (38:33):
I just don't think we give cam Ward enough attention
to talk about him enough.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Jets and Panthers tied at three. Now, I know you
made a preseason prediction that the Saints would go oh
and seventeen. I'm looking at the Jets schedule right now,
and I'm saying, where is a win? Where is a win?
I mean, obviously, they're hosting the Panthers today. Panthers are
at three and three, playing much better football right now,
which we both predicted. Next week you're on the road

(38:58):
against the Bengals, home against the Browns. I mean, that's
a game that could be winnable. Then they're at the
Patriots at the Ravens. By that time, Lamar's bag. No
Falcons at home, Dolphins at home? Could that be it?
You don't want it to have that to happen, right,
I mean you're I mean, yeah, I'm not that emotional fan. Man.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
I sit here and I just call it what it is.
I didn't see this defense playing as bad. I just
they were seventh in the league last year. But and
here I am going against myself and kind of being hypocritical.
I guess because I tell you the postseason and last season.
I mean, you know, regular season has nothing to do
with the postseason, and last year don't matter. But I
looked at this defense and I thought they'd be a
lot better to it. They're averaging twenty four to twenty
five points a Sunday. They're putting points on the board,

(39:41):
but they just I'm watching them get driven on right
now by the Browns. There's been three drives in this
game that would have end on third downs that's been
aided by a penalty on the Dolphins to keep those
drives going.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
It just happened again.

Speaker 3 (39:53):
I don't like the call, but once the quarterback hands
the ball off, Jalen Phillips, just don't go take a
shot in the back.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
Of than Gabriel because he's a rookiear. You're trying to
prove something.

Speaker 3 (40:02):
This is the type of stupid bleep that's been happening
with the defense. And this is why you guys, everybody
wants to fire McDaniel. Why aren't we talking about Anthony Weaver.
Why aren't we talking about him? He's running this defense
right now. They give up there, last in the league.
They give up what's sixty eight a game on the ground,
last in the league by like thirty yards. If you
want to fire, somebody, fire the defensive coordinator.

Speaker 2 (40:23):
Drake may just threw a touchdown pass to Austin Hoopers,
who are now all tied up ten all Titans and
Patriots that game five and a half minutes to go
in the first half. Actually, these games are moving rather
quickly right here, so far right, I mean, we're on
the end of our first hour. We got the games
almost to the half, but we got much more coming
up in the next hour. Keep it glued right here,

(40:43):
Bill gives. We'll give you the scores, we'll give you
the staffs. The analysis is all here. This is end
Zone Radio rolling along here week seven, Sunday in the NFL.
Six games going on right now, and we are all
over it here on end Zone Radio from our Fox
Sports Radio studios. All right, so we got the games
going on right now, but coming up a little bit

(41:05):
later on one of the games will be the Packers on
the road against a Cardinals team struggling with four straight losses.
And the man on the call, it's one of our
all time favorites, the great Kenny Albert, is joining us
right now, and Kenny, it's always great to catch up
with you. Right now, let's get right to this game,
because I'm trying to get a read on the Green
Bay Packers. You know, they have the opening win against

(41:27):
the Lions, and you know the Michael Parsons situation everything else,
but to me, they've sort of faded from view a
little bit. Are the Packers right now on your radar?
Is one of the top two or three teams currently
in the NFC.

Speaker 7 (41:46):
Hey, guys, First of all, great to be with you.
I think they're still certainly in that top echelon in
the NFC. They've only lost once in five games. They
did have the tie with Dallas three to one and
one looking to win on the road for the first
time today. They've won all three of their games at Lambeau.
They have a loss and tie on the road. You know,

(42:07):
the Josh Jacobs situation will be keeping an eye on
over the next couple of hours, questionable throughout the week,
and he's obviously a huge part of it. You know.
On the other side, you have the Cardinals who have
suffered some excruciating losses. They won their first two and
they've lost four in a row by a combined nine points,
three of them, you know, right as the clock hit zero.

(42:28):
So looking forward to the game today here in Glendale should.

Speaker 3 (42:31):
Be a fun one, Kenny, Great talking to you, j
for a husky here, Let's stick with the Cardinals because,
as I look at this team. I agree with you
that that lost to Indiana the Indianapolis last weekend and
the Tennessee loss was just brutal for them. But now
you know, no Colin Murray and he got Jacoby Brissett,
and they could have pulled that off last week. But
how long they got to keep this team together before
you could get Kyler in because this division can get

(42:52):
away from them. When we saw what the Rams put
up today.

Speaker 7 (42:56):
Right, and they haven't buying next week, so it'll be
for setting again today. And he played really well last week.
Passed forward three hundred yards. Yeah, they have seven passes
of twenty year longer, so they really you know, spread
out the field, open things up a little bit with Brissette. Uh,
they've gone through, you know, a crazy situation with their
running backs. They're missing the top three today, all out

(43:18):
with injuries, so they've gone deep to the depth chart.
You know at the running back position. Marvin Harrison Junior
is back today, you know, following the concussion. They have
one of the top tight ends in the league and
Trey McBride. So you know, from an offensive standpoint, yes,
it's Brissette, but he's coming off a real strong game
last week, and you know, we'll see what those running

(43:40):
backs caught her a Knight can do. Basically fourth and
fifth on the depth chart.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
Kenny, you've been covering the NFL for a number of years. Obviously,
I've been around this league a round a lot of
years as well. The general product right now. I know,
way back in the day, the late great Pete Roselle
dreamt of parody across the NFL out and I've always
said there's a fine line between parody and pero d

(44:04):
And at times it's been a bit of a joke
for what I've seen around the NFL in terms of
I don't know, just the lack of really outstanding play,
and I get back to the lack of practicing and
you know, full practices. The tackling in this league is awful.
I'm just looking from what you've been seeing week in
and week out, because it's really a season so far

(44:27):
without an identity. We don't really have a dominant team
right now. If it just seems weak to week, it's
hard to predict what's going to happen this league. But
just give us a general view from your standpoint, your
years covering this league of what we see right now
in the NFL in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 7 (44:45):
Well, you know, you're right as far as you know
some of the teams that we expected to be at
the top. You know, you're looking at what Baltimore has
gone through and Buffalo to an extent, so there there's
definitely been some surprises this year, you know, as far
as that goes. But you know, as far as the
games that our crew has worked, we've had some really
fun games. We've gotten to call the Detroit Lions twice

(45:07):
and they put up a lot of points in both
those games. We had the Vikings Browns game in London
a couple of weeks ago, which went right down to
the wire. We were in Las Vegas last week. It
was a great atmosphere and the Raiders defense is outstanding.
So you know, this false sample size over the first
six weeks, the games that our crew has done along

(45:27):
with Jonathan Bilmo and Bagan o'levy. We have Jen Hell
with us today and you know, we've had a lot
of fun. You know, we watched the other games. Were
far always watched the teams that we have, you know,
we watched their previous games. So you know, the NFL
is bigger than ever, and you look at the TV
ratings and every year I think it's ninety two out

(45:49):
of one hundred. The last couple of years, ninety two
out of the top one hundred rated TV shows have
been NFL games. So you know, I would say the
products do them pretty well. And like I said, the
games that we've worked has been a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (46:03):
And speaking of the NFL being as big as ever,
I agree with you. I'm a total football NFL guy.
I'll rob with the NFL to the good Lord calls
me home. The quarterback position is the reason why Kenny
and I feel like we're in this flux right now
where you watch Thursday Night. We got two old guys
honestly like dueling it out, going at it, giving us
a great Thursday night NFL game, and we're still kind

(46:23):
of waiting to see who's this next young crop of quarterbacks.
You got Jaalen Hurst with a Super Bowl but people
say he's still got to prove stuff. And you got
Pat Mahomes, and you got Lamar Jackson that's long into
two getting there in his career and Josh Allen are
we still kind of in this flux in European where
we're still trying to figure out who that new young
guy's gonna beat that the Lee's gonna attach themselves to
after Aaron after excuse me, Pat Mahomes, Well.

Speaker 7 (46:45):
First of all, how great was that? You know, watching
what those guys fremendous on Thursday night and we did
the Browns back to back weeks and Joe Flacco started
the first game and then it was still in Gabriel
in London. But for him to go in there to Cincinnati,
you know, withically no practice time, totally new team and
you know, do what he did in game number two
against Pittsburgh was was just amazing. But you know, he's

(47:07):
a veteran, he has started a lot of games, he's
won a Super Bowl, forty years of age now, and
then you know, you look across the way at what
Aaron Rodgers is able to do. Some of the guys
you mentioned, Alan Mahomes Hurts obviously have had great careers
to this point, you know, and as far as some
of the young guys, you look at a Jackson Dart
and what he's been able to do over the last

(47:28):
three weeks, you know, winning two of his first three
starts with the Giants. You know, some of the others
you mentioned have been up and down, but you know,
excited to see Jordan Love play here today and in
Arizona his third year as a starter, and you know,
his trajectory has just gone higher and higher with each season.
And talking to Matt Lafleur the other day, you know,

(47:49):
dis gushing about everything that he's seen from Jordan Love
this season so far. So yeah, you're gonna have your
ups and downs, you know, with with all of the quarterbacks,
certainly because they can't be perfect every week. But you know,
I think as far as some of the young guys,
Jackson Dart's certainly the one that stood out to me
so far. And then you see other guys who are

(48:11):
in their third or fourth spot. You know, look at
what Gino Smith was able to do in Seattle the
last couple of seasons last four or five years after
you know, the struggles he went through. You look at
Sam Darnold, but he was able to do in Minnesota
last year. So sometimes it doesn't happen right away. Jordan
Love sat for three years behind Aaron Rodgers. That was
the norm fifteen twenty years ago, through resat as a

(48:34):
rookie in San Diego. Aaron Rodgers sat behind Brett Barr
for three years. Eli Manning sat for half a season.
So it doesn't always happen right away. Sometimes it takes,
you know, whether it's half the season, two years, three years,
to just sit back and watch and learn, and then
in some of those cases their careers just took off
after that.

Speaker 2 (48:54):
Well, not everyone is an immediate start. Like Kenny Albert
any we always she at the time. Thanks so much.
We'll be looking forward to the matchup between the Packers
and Cardinals with Kenny Albert on the call. Thanks Kenny,
Thanks Kenny. A. That's Kenny Albert. Right now, we have
some breaking news.

Speaker 1 (49:16):
Breaking news from Fox Sports.

Speaker 9 (49:19):
Yeah, guys, we got breaking news out of college football
ESPN reporting that Florida, who beat Mississippi State yesterday, is
firing head coach Billy Napier. His buyout is more than
twenty one million. Half of that number is due within
the thirty days. He's not subject to offset or mitigation,
so he's doing all of it even.

Speaker 10 (49:39):
If he lands another job. They're three and four this year.

Speaker 2 (49:42):
Florida best job in the world. Fire college coach. I
just said it fifteen minutes ago. Not bad, I mean wow,
I mean again with Napier. This is the problem. The
Florida Gator fans are living in a different era. They're
living in you know, you know, they're going back to
Herb and Mina, the thing in the Yeah, a reminder,
Tim Tebow won the Heisman eighteen years ago. Thank you,

(50:06):
long time ago. Eighteen years ago. You don't want to
the NFL. Oh, come on, I mean it's just ridiculous,
all right, Manzi, thank you very very much, Steve.

Speaker 3 (50:14):
If I could just really fested this is, this is
what you and I talked about with Now that you
have nil, yes there, you have a shorter window in
college now.

Speaker 2 (50:24):
Oh much, because we've never seen anything like this. You
can go over it. You can, let's just call it.

Speaker 3 (50:29):
You can buy the players now openly like we all
know about it. So now, if I spend this much,
you better win.

Speaker 2 (50:39):
And if you don't, who do you think is paying
these buyouts? It's not the university. He's not paying these
buyouts at all. This is not one sponsor's money and
everything else they've invested into your friend program. And so
whether there's twenty million, forty million and This is pocket
change for these people. They will get rid of them
until they find the guy that's going to put them

(51:01):
in a better position sponsoring their university. All right. By
the way, the Chiefs right now have Wow Raiders trying
to tighten up a little bit here, third and goal,
already leading the Raiders by a score of fourteen to nothing.
Your Dolphins, I'm sorry, seventeen to three. Cleveland is leading
right now, oh my god, over the Dolphins. The Vikings

(51:24):
got a field goal, but they still trail right now
against the Eagles fourteen to six. Bears all over the
Saints right now, thirteen to nothing. Titan's got a field
goal to retake the lead over the Patriots thirteen to ten,
and still three to three. Game of the day between
the Panthers and the winless Jets. Hey, by the way,

(51:47):
have you seen that red Ostrich logo on Professional Baseball's
postseason helmets that Strauss family owns since nineteen forty eight
and trusted by pros worldwide. Pants built like tools, durable, comfortable,
and engineered to perform from grit to glory. Gear up
now at Strauss dot com. That's S t R A
U S S dot com. And exactly where would you

(52:11):
put show hey Otani's three home run ten strikeout performance
as far as greatest individual games that you've ever seen
in baseball.

Speaker 3 (52:21):
It might honestly be the greatest individual baseball game I've
ever seen, because I, even at my age and as
long as I've been watching sports, I've never seen a
pitcher go out and do that and then go to
the plate and then go do what he did. In
my entire life. I understand that probably Babe Ruth could
do it back in his day because he was or

(52:43):
had the ability because he pitched, but he.

Speaker 2 (52:45):
Really didn't do both simultaneously. He was the best left
handed pitcher in baseball with the Red Sox and then
his last season in Boston they morphed him into an outfielder,
and with the Yankees he was a full time outfitter.
So there really is that, right, Okay, So no one
has ever done with sports next to every Sunday, no

(53:06):
one has ever done.

Speaker 3 (53:08):
I've never seen anything like. And here's the thing. It
looked easy, Max, look hard.

Speaker 2 (53:16):
Max Munsey after the game was interviews and he said,
shoe Hey, O, Tawny is like that kid in Little
league that you swear as four years older than everyone else. Right,
and he goes, he's so much better than anyone else.
He doesn't even belong in this league. But this is
the highest league. This this is as big as it gets.

(53:42):
And he's he's so much better than everybody else. You've
seen a lot man, Is he the greatest baseball player
you've ever seen? Ever? There's nothing almost amost no comparison.
There is no I mean, David Bruman, Babe Ruth was phenomenal. Okay,
and again you have to put everything in the context
of their time. Baber's numbers speak for themselves. I mean,

(54:05):
he was hitting more home runs than any team in
the league, but he wasn't doing what this guy's doing.
Nobody is doing. And by the way, just for the record,
that second home run that ended out of Dodgers Stadium
actually did hit the roof. Somebody got some video and
they hear the king, but then it bounced out of
the stadium. That ball was so crushed. They were trying

(54:27):
different angles to see, like, where did that ball go?
It didn't actually clear that we hit the roof and
went out. Okay, that's fine, it's the roof. It's the roof.
It's the roof. I don't care. It's the roof.

Speaker 3 (54:37):
Like remember old Tiger Stadium where Griffy would go out
there and hit the thing like out of the stadium.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
I mean, this was unbelievable and so wow. Say so
you know, if you're watching, well we'll see, but we
don't know what they're you know, we got later on
tonight obviously Toronto hosting the Mariners, trying to stay alive
in that series. If Toronto wins this series, they will
host Game one of the World Series at the Mariners prevail.

(55:04):
Dodgers will host Game one coming up on Friday. All right,
coming up on the other side, we're heading to halftimes
around by the way, Chiefs just scored again, twenty one
to nothing. Three touchdowns, two hundred and six yards passing
in the first half for Patrick Mahomes. Keep it here.
This is end Zone Radio. Four yards behind him is
manung Gay, motion Wright is Loveland Givel tubanung Gay slitting

(55:25):
in for the touchdown. Touchdown. Bears have the first career
rushing touchdown for Kyle Manungay. That's the Bears radio network
and the Bears spanking the Saints right now. Twenty nothing
minute a half to go in the first half of
that game. This is End Zone Radio, Steve Harbin VJA

(55:45):
Husky with you and join some NFL football. Here is
seventh week already in the National Football League. By the way,
if you're wondering teams off this week, Bills and the Ravens, boy,
both those teams could use the rest right now.

Speaker 3 (56:01):
Huh yeah, both of them can use the rest now.
I don only use the rest. Sit back and see
what the rest of the league is doing. The rest
of your division is doing. Get healed up. If you're
the Ravens, you're trying to get healed. If you're the Bills,
I think you're just trying to figure out what's going on,
like there's something up. It's been three straight weeks with
the Bills where they have not looked good. They have
not looked like the juggernaut that people thought they were.
And if you look into some of the teams that

(56:21):
they've beat, if we're gonna do this whole they only
beat this team, They only beat this team, only beat
this team.

Speaker 2 (56:25):
My whole thing is just stay consistent with it.

Speaker 3 (56:27):
Let's just make sure we do it with everybody, because
everybody's got to play everybody for the most part during
the league. So you're beating up on the Saints and
you beat the Jets and you beat the Dolphins. If
you're all beating the same teams, then okay, none of
y'all are beating anybody by that that metric. But I
think Baltimore.

Speaker 2 (56:43):
Needs to get healthy.

Speaker 3 (56:44):
Buffalo, you know, what's up. What's going on with it?
What's going on with this offense? It hasn't been high power,
but the last three weeks, you know, we've had some
lower ranked defenses kind of sticking to them.

Speaker 2 (56:56):
Well, and you've seen the frustration from Josh Allen, like,
what the heck's going on here? Why can't we move
the ball? You know? Interesting taking a look at some
of these division standings right now as predicted, the NFC
North no teams for the losing record. Everyone has a
winning record there. But the NFC South saved New Orleans

(57:17):
maybe a little bit better than people thought. I mean,
Tampa obviously sitting is the number one seed currently in
the NFC. Falcons have gotten themselves back on track. They're
at three and two right now. Panthers the big game today, obviously,
if they win onn the road against the windless Jets.
They get to four and three. Yeah, and so we've
been sort of waiting. You and I are sort of

(57:37):
the last of the Mohicans here in terms of still
having some defense of Bryce Young and insisting that there's
still better days ahead. And we have a missed field
goal by the Miami Dolphins as.

Speaker 3 (57:50):
Flagging to play, but the snat was bad. The snat
was high and it almost hit the holder in his head.

Speaker 2 (57:57):
Like this thing is in Oh, it's against the You're
okay right back in this game. Reprieve for the Dolphins
right now. But I mean, you know, it's it's it's
one of those things with the Panthers, you know, you
have a new coach. They've been trying desperately to get
this thing back on track. It wasn't that long ago,
by the way, that the Panthers were a perennial playoff

(58:19):
team with Cam Newton. I mean, you know, it's been
a while.

Speaker 3 (58:23):
Think about we're talking about t but winning his and
eighteen years ago.

Speaker 2 (58:26):
That's Super Bowl, that fifteen, that was ten years ago.
That's a decade. That's ten years ago. But they were
still in the conversation for a few years after that,
the problem was ownership. I mean, you just brought in
an absolute abysmal owner who got his hand in the
cookie chart, tried to change things and everything else. I mean,
when they hired Matt Rule, what a disaster. That was disaster.

(58:50):
College coaches aren't necessarily NFL coaches. There are two different games.
When are people going to understand there are two different
sports college football?

Speaker 3 (58:59):
And the don't listen to him, Bill, don't listen to him, Belichill,
don't listen to him Bill. You alright, man, I watched
the game against Caldy. I watched that, stayed up late
two thirty in the morning going through my DVR watching
my man Billy go down twenty one eighteen.

Speaker 2 (59:14):
But no, you're right, you're right, and my man Billy
mas's my man. But listen, by the way to year
about the documentary that they're shooting right now. Yeah yeah, yeah,
Way and his significant others. She's trying to rule NFL films.
Can you can you imagine?

Speaker 3 (59:27):
Look?

Speaker 2 (59:28):
And I know the people to do these things right,
these documentaries. The idea that she would like dictate to
them how this is going to go right. They're like, sure,
that's right.

Speaker 3 (59:36):
Mama, that's right, Mama, Billy, because Billy's really a control
and I'm sure, Billy, Bill, how do you want to
do it?

Speaker 2 (59:42):
How awkward is this going to be? You understand Belichick
is going to be elected this year. This is his
year to go into the Pro Football Hall of Fame,
And so how awkward is that going to be? After
everything that's gone down really since Tom Brady left, not
not to him?

Speaker 3 (59:57):
And it won't be because Bill could still say I
got the these things on these ranks on my fingers, baby,
like Billy can still hold up his hand.

Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
Do you think he'll all the rail and turn to
his significant other in the Hall of Fame ceremony and
all respect? Oh yeah, wait, thank you. Wait before we
talk about any players or coaches that I work with
over you know, the last forty years, I want to
acknowledge the most important person in my life. That's right,
that's right, man. Behind every great man, there's a Graham

(01:00:29):
in America.

Speaker 3 (01:00:30):
Don't let social media and Instagram and all this stuff
tell you different. It's still real behind it. I can't wait, Billy. Hey, Billy,
it's VJ talking man. Please, hey, make sure you add
your lady to the team.

Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
I got I got it here. But maybe she'll be
his presenter. That's even better. You get to choose your presenter.
She'll demand, Yes, she'll demand, I am your presenter. Oh wow,
so I can stand next to the bus as a
van Veila. What's her name? Anybody name? I forgot it? Okay,
Billy's girl. We just called it. He takes her to
be the presenter, that'll be. By the way, Drake May

(01:01:07):
has gotten the Patriots leading now at the half against
the Titans seventeen thirteen. Drake May is ten of eleven
for one hundred and ten yards and two touchdowns. Not bad,
but cam Ward is certainly hanging in eleven sixteen one
hundred and forty eight yards in a score, so pretty
good batchup there today between the Pats and the Titans.

Speaker 3 (01:01:26):
Look at Mike McDaniel in this halftime interview right here.
Have you ever seen that man looks so like you
can tell this job and right now it's wearing on him.
He don't even look the same no more. He got
gray in his beard over the last six weeks. Like
that's a bad side. It's like when President Obama was
in office. Go get at a picture, Go look at
a picture when he first started running. Then go look
at pictures as the eight years went, and then go

(01:01:48):
look at him when he got out the office. And
now he can just chill and live again. It's four
different looking type of people. And Mike McDaniel right now
for the Miami Dolphins just looks like, okay, this. You know,
he's not gonna quit. He's not gonna resign, that's not
in him. He'll be somewhere his offensive coordinator. But you
and I do agree, if you're gonna fire him, just
do it after the season.

Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
Yeah I don't. I'm not make the decision now, but
just do it after the season. Here's the problem when
you fire coaches mid season and then you bring in
an interim person. Right look at UCLA is the ultimate
right now, right they you know, they fire to Sean Foster,
they bring in Skipper as the new coach, and all
of a sudden they're winning everything, Like, wait, we found
the guy. How many times have we seen this happen?

(01:02:31):
You get an interim coach comes in, they win a
few games, the team says, all right, maybe we found
our guy. They make him the full time coach, and
the team goes bust. You know what. It happens all
the time.

Speaker 3 (01:02:43):
I compare it to the breakup that's not had a
break that's not the breakup yet. And you move on
to somebody new, and you think, oh my god, this
is oh, this is great, this is the person.

Speaker 2 (01:02:54):
Yeah, wait till they get upset. Wait see how they.

Speaker 3 (01:02:56):
Sleep, or how they burst their teeth, or how they live,
or just wait, just just give it a minute.

Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
Just give it a minute. Just give it a minute.
The newer Dorfins, the newness and all of that. Oh yeah,
it's gonna feel so great and so perfect at first.

Speaker 3 (01:03:07):
Let's let's some time go by. And that's what we
see with these interim coaches. The guy listen, dan our
coach was there with the coach that just got fired.
What's gonna change a little beginning energy in the beginning.

Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
There's always a little burst of energy when things are
going bad with the new interim guy. Do not be full.
That's the problem with bringing in a coach mid season.
All right, let's find out what is trending right now,
Shamanci any excitement with your fantasy.

Speaker 10 (01:03:34):
Teams, No, not even a little bit.

Speaker 9 (01:03:36):
Let me tell you, I have the Raiders kicker and
it's a big fat zero.

Speaker 2 (01:03:38):
So no, A, why do you have the Raiders kicker?

Speaker 10 (01:03:42):
Because my kicker was on a buy yeah or something.

Speaker 9 (01:03:45):
I just you know, you gotta make moves sometimes, you.

Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
Are understand I haven't lightly here, man, if we do this,
it's been seven weeks, I haven't thrown the straight as.

Speaker 3 (01:04:02):
But for you to say, for you to say I
got the Raiders kicker, yeah, immediately go.

Speaker 9 (01:04:08):
Because if you're smart, you go for a team that
doesn't get a lot of touchdowns, that does a lot
of kicks.

Speaker 10 (01:04:14):
I just didn't expect them to be shut out in
the first half against the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
I was, okay, but we're gonna start with.

Speaker 10 (01:04:19):
The Dolphins and the Browns.

Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Here, guys, yeah, right back here, do we make a kick?

Speaker 8 (01:04:24):
No.

Speaker 9 (01:04:25):
The Dolphins had literally the opportunity to score again.

Speaker 10 (01:04:28):
They said, we're gonna put you halfway to the distance.

Speaker 9 (01:04:30):
Of the goal, give you another chance, another.

Speaker 10 (01:04:32):
Four set of downs, and they didn't do anything. They
got a field goal.

Speaker 9 (01:04:35):
So the Browns are still on top seventeen to six
at the half. Here, all of these games are pretty
much at the half except for one unless I think
there's about sixteen seconds left between the Bears and the
Saints before going to halftime. The Bears are up right
now twenty to seven. Spencer Rattler did get a touchdown.
He's also thrown for one hundred and four yards. Patriots

(01:04:55):
over the Titans. That one's been fun back and forth.
Cam Ward has thrown four one hundred and four forty
eight yards and a touchdown. The Patriots are up seventeen
thirteen all Chiefs and they're about to start the third
quarter against the Raiders.

Speaker 10 (01:05:07):
Twenty one zero is the score.

Speaker 9 (01:05:08):
Three drives for Kansas City, three touchdowns for Kansas City,
Patrick Mahomes two hundred and six yards and three touchdowns.
Eagles over the Vikings fourteen to six, and the Panthers
are on top of the Jets now ten to three.
Bryce Young with one hundred and seventeen yards and they
are in a touchdown. Also, Breyce Hall seemed to have
injured himself and our producer Bo found the video, so
I went to look for it.

Speaker 10 (01:05:29):
As he walked to the locker.

Speaker 9 (01:05:31):
Room, he did slam his helmet in frustration, looking very upset.
It looked like he suffered some lower leg injury. There
is no update, but he did look very frustrated with that.
The Rams crushed the Jaguars in London today thirty five
to seven. Matthew Stafford threw for one hundred and eighty
two yards and five touchdowns. One of them went to
devont one of them, three of them went to Devonte Adams.

Speaker 10 (01:05:52):
He had the hat trick.

Speaker 9 (01:05:53):
Travis Hunter did get his first career touchdown today and
as Jacksonville lost to LA, Packers are going to put
running back Josh Shacobs through a workout on the field
at State Farm Stadium shortly before a final decision is
made on today's game. He is not sick, he's dealing
with the CAF injury. So that's gonna happen as that
game kicks off at what four to twenty five Eastern time.

(01:06:13):
Also for Monday Night Football, despite both wide receivers listed
as questionable against Detroit, Mike Evans is likely to play
and Amica Abuka has a real chance to play despite
that low grade hamstring straand that he suffered last Sunday.
They're not going to decide abuka status until pregame warm ups.

Speaker 10 (01:06:30):
And that's for Monday Night Football.

Speaker 9 (01:06:31):
And in case you missed it, Florida College football who
beat Mississippi State yesterday?

Speaker 10 (01:06:35):
Did fire head coach Billy Napier, So.

Speaker 2 (01:06:38):
He goes on a high, on a high.

Speaker 1 (01:06:41):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:06:42):
That is the weird part of that though, is that
they won, Yeah, yesday, thanks months. But the fact that
they won yesterday, Yeah, I see why he got fired.

Speaker 2 (01:06:51):
But I would I mean after a dub it wasn't,
But it wasn't. I guess it was. Well, the problem
the delay was somebody coming up with that twenty million dollars.
Because he's one hundred percent guaranteed even if he takes
another job, right, they're still on the hook to pay
him twenty one million dollars. So they had to find
the money first. Once they found the money, then he
was out the dark. All right, Monzie, thank you. We'll

(01:07:12):
check in with you a little bit later on. By
the way, Tua at the half five of twelve, thirty
seven yards five of twelve, can you imagine what that
is like in the locker room for the Dolphins right
now with Mike McDaniel.

Speaker 3 (01:07:24):
No, because I think we already know what it is like,
I said, as he was on the sideline, you see
players walking by and just I'm a big energy guy.
You know, like the way body energy, body language tells
a lot more than you will ever verbally say in
your entire life. Just do the studies on it. It's
been done already. The body language is they're not playing
for each other. I don't even know some of these

(01:07:44):
guys are playing for themselves, which is pretty pathetic. And
I said this doing a break with you. If you
think that mailing it in as a player when you
want to get your coach fired, if you think that's
gonna look good on tape for the next coaching regime
coming in, you're sally mistake because why would I trust
you to be my left guard when you quit on
the guy that was here before because things weren't going well.

(01:08:07):
This is why I hate he lost the locker room talk.
I hate that phrase because you're grown ass man. Regardless
of what's going on around you, you still have a
job and a mission you have been commissioned to do.
You chose to do this so to go out, especially
in the sport of football where Steve's mistake can cost

(01:08:30):
me my season. I have a big rift with that,
in a big beef about lost the life. No still
show up? Still you suck. Okay, we suck. We're not
good this year, but you still got to show up
and play. But to half asset, I'm I'm all the
way out. Half these guys. If they fire make me
to day, I guarantee you it'll be half the roster turnover.

Speaker 2 (01:08:49):
More than any sport. Because there's so many moving pieces football,
you gotta have a unified locker room. You have to
close to being universe. Not necessarily. We've seen completely dysfunctional
clubhouses in baseball be very successful. Same in the NBA.
But in the NFL, you got to be friends. You

(01:09:10):
got at the camaraderie. It's you know, you got my back,
you got your back, and that's the way this league works.
And if you lose that, it's really hard to get

up here in a couple hours has the top two
seeds in the AFC. That's right, the number one seed

(01:09:54):
Colts on the road against the number two seed LA Chargers.
And week after week now again, the Colts five wins
are against teams with a combined record of ten and twenty.
In other words, they're beating the teams they're supposed to beat.
The one thing about the Chargers in this game that

(01:10:15):
they have to take advantage of is the Colts secondary
is not good by any stretch in the imagination. And
I'm sure a coach like Jim Harbor is fully aware
of this. Lookout. I mean, Quinn Johnston is back for
the Chargers. They are going to throw the ball deep.
They are going to test this Colt secondary. This should

(01:10:37):
be a big day for Justin Herbert today, should be.
Should be.

Speaker 3 (01:10:41):
But what Indianapolis would do to counter I think you're
talking about the fourth ring offense in the NFL. Six
very good rushing attack in the NFL. So the way
you do that is to keep Justin Herbert from you know,
having this should be big day is you run the
ball and get the ball on the keep the ball
on the ground, also quick sidebar. Drake May was just
tackled and slammed down to the ground. His head smacked

(01:11:04):
the back of the turf. Joshua Dobbs is warming up.
Drake May for the New England Patriots starting quarterback is
in the blue tint right now. The way he got
up and kind of fell back to his knees, I
would be hugely surprised if he just lied, if he's
allowed back into this football game. That did not look good.
So Patriot fans out there, crush your fingers, hold your breath.

(01:11:25):
Is this is a seventeen thirteen game.

Speaker 2 (01:11:26):
Remember when Joshua Dobbs was the talk of the league
with Gardeners bro It's crazy, It's crazy, It's crazy. Every
once in a while again he was one of those
guys again where you're like, wow, look at Dobbs and
he gets a few hot games and then the league.

Speaker 3 (01:11:42):
Figure out said, but remember when I asked Kenny and
I throw it to you really quick.

Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
Do you feel like we're in this We're in this
flux of dude.

Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
We're watching two forty year old dudes go at it
Thursday night, dueling it out and all these younger guys.

Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
We really because right now I believe I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:11:59):
By the way, well Woames Allen in like Lamar, they're
separated from the rest of these other quarterbacks. We Jalen
hurts to me, would be with them. Okay, he's got
to do more and he's hold on.

Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
We had a rookie quarterback last year, had an unbelievable
year Kaydan Daniels.

Speaker 3 (01:12:15):
But what does it look like this year? It's already
miss gains, are been knocked out of games and miss and.

Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
That's that's the problem. We have a mobile quarterback, the
more susceptible to injury. Caleb Williams seems to be coming
around right now. It's slow, but you know, taking forwards
this year it's crazy. Cam Ward We've been talking about
cam Ward has got potential. They can put some pieces
around him. Look again, quarterback is one piece, one piece,

(01:12:42):
the biggest We've seen great quarterbacks go to different teams
and they are not the same quarterback. They they're minus everything.
And so you know, there there's there's no universal answer.
The NFL is is about everybody working in unison. If
you're going to be six right place, right time, right system.
There's so many variables, right coaching, and that's how teams

(01:13:06):
win or guys lose out on their NFL career.

Speaker 3 (01:13:10):
And see, that's why you look at the Patriots, love
them or not, just as a sports football guy like
I don't hate greatness like the Chiefs right now, I
don't go against the Chiefs because oh they win too much.

Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
Hey, everybody else trying to do what they're doing exactly.
I'm not going to complain about who's winning.

Speaker 3 (01:13:25):
As Drake May is jogging back on to the field, Wow, okay,
so he was in the ten bang his helmet against
the turf and he's like, I'm okay, Well, we'll see
how that works out.

Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
They're in a battle, but we'll see all right. Patriots
again right now, number one team in the AFC East.
Remember they beat Buffalo head to head, they yet the
tie break. Buffalo's off this week, so New England with
a victory, we get a half game lead over the
Bills and take command at least temporarily in the AFSE S.
They're in a battle with the Titans right now, leading
by a score of seventeen to thirteen. We continue on

(01:13:58):
with a very busy day game's currently underway. We got
second half's already going on. This is end Zone Radio.

Speaker 8 (01:14:05):
To from the pistol throws to the outside plastic.

Speaker 3 (01:14:09):
Picked off Campbell down the sideline piece at.

Speaker 2 (01:14:11):
The ten to five touchdown. Are they gonna call it
a score? It's a touchdown, that's the Browns radio network.
So first play of the second half for the Dolphins
a pick six and now the Browns lead the Dolphins
by score of twenty four.

Speaker 3 (01:14:33):
To contact, it goes through a chang's hands to it
and just throw it to the defender. The receiver drops
the ball and it goes into the waiting hands of
a defender.

Speaker 2 (01:14:40):
This end Zone Radio, Fox Sports Radio Studios. All right, DJ,
I mean, let come on again. There's no way after
this showing that Mike McDaniel survives this week. I just think,
I mean, I agree, look at I'm with you one
hundred percent on this idea of you know, but this
that's not the way it works. You he will get fired.

(01:15:01):
And I just the thing that just throws me off
about this Miami Dolphins firing him, Well, yeah, that's the
way it works. The head coach goes and then you're
gonna keep you're gonna keep. You gotta still coach out
the rest of the season. And so you're gonna keep
the defensive coordinator that has the one Why would you
hire anybody right nowas ah, you're one and six, you

(01:15:22):
want to hire anybody?

Speaker 3 (01:15:23):
But okay, So so here's the dal Let's fire might
be day or tomorrow morning, but just make sure you
fire also Greer the GM, and you fire Anthony weel
fire all three.

Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
Fire all three. How do you feel about ownership in Miami?

Speaker 3 (01:15:36):
I thought Steven Ross always bought this team, all right,
So I know this guy a Mits or Financial Mints
or mine in South Florida, And I remember when he
first bought the team. He told me, he, I know
you're a big Dolphin fan. He goes, but this guy
is gonna do anything for you, guys.

Speaker 2 (01:15:49):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:15:49):
He bought this thing as a shiny little toy to
kind of show off to all his international friends, rich
friends that fly in the town and fly through Miami.
And then you saw they went and they let Jennifer
Lopez by. He said, they let Serena and Venius woyams
by a piece, and they brought in Dan Marinos a figurehead,
and then they had Bill Parcells. But Bill Parcells wanted
a bigger role and they said no. But like you
had the guy right there, you had Bill Parcells, who

(01:16:10):
actually did convince.

Speaker 2 (01:16:11):
Them to draft Jake Long at left tackle.

Speaker 3 (01:16:14):
Now, they could have had Matt Ryan, but his whole
thing was, well, I could draft Matt Ryan, but who's
gonna protect him?

Speaker 2 (01:16:18):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:16:19):
So ownership, I think what I was told when he
first bought the team by financial mentor that I respect
a lot, appreciate a lot. He bought this thing. It's
kind of his shiny little toy to show off. He
doesn't know football. He's not a football guy. He's in
Michigan Grad. He doesn't know football. He's a rich businessman,
and I don't think he's let the football people do

(01:16:40):
their football job. Even over Greer, I'm sure somebody's whispering
in his ere. Hey man, you might need to get
rid of this guy, because remember Ireland was there before him,
and he wan't no better. So you've had back to
back bad general managers with the Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 2 (01:16:52):
Well it's a mess. By the way. You remember we were
talking about Drake May and the tent. Since then, he
came back in the game and just like they Atriots
two quick touchdowns thirty one thirteen. Right now, they're blowing
out the Titans and Drake May is sixteen of seventeen,
one hundred and seventy six yards and two touchdowns. So apparently,

(01:17:15):
thankfully he's okay.

Speaker 13 (01:17:17):
To be fair to the Titans and Drake May. One
of those was a sack fumble from yes Award that
was a return for a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:17:22):
Yes it was school score. Yeah.

Speaker 13 (01:17:24):
The coaching change made a huge difference in Tennessee this week.
If you can ask Canton.

Speaker 2 (01:17:28):
Chiefs twenty eight Raiders nothing, Patrick Mahomes two hundred and
forty four yards and three touchdowns. The game has passed
by Ginos Smith in this game is six of eight
for thirty one yards.

Speaker 8 (01:17:44):
You guys are talking a lot about whether or not
Mike McDaniel gets fired, like this is this shouldn't even
have happened.

Speaker 2 (01:17:50):
How about that?

Speaker 1 (01:17:51):
Eryl?

Speaker 2 (01:17:51):
So Pete Carroll right now, total yards in this game,
the Chiefs have three hundred and forty one and the
Raiders have forty eight total yards this game? So what
do you do with the Raiders? Then? Like, what do
you do? Like because obviously I'll tell you one thing.
Stop listening to Tom Brady, apparently, because Tom Brady ain't
bringing any expertise to this Raiders organization.

Speaker 3 (01:18:12):
This isn't gonna get fixed right, Like, there's some teams
right now that I think we all can say, okay,
they need to strip down. I'm talking from top to
bottom of Yes, it's gonna set you back two or
three seasons. But if you drive correctly, trade higher correctly,
and train and develop correctly, you could be right back
in this that.

Speaker 8 (01:18:30):
You should Like, you've got to clean everyone at the
same time, Like you can't do the staggered thing with
the GM the president.

Speaker 3 (01:18:36):
Like that's why I just said, if you fire McDaniel
in the morning, fine, fine, guys. On the same way,
you gotta fire Greer and you gotta fire Anthony Weaver.
You could promote an interim coach, you could promote an
interim defensive coordinator, and you can move whoever is president
of VP of operation all right above them.

Speaker 2 (01:18:55):
Just let you're not gonna make any moves.

Speaker 3 (01:18:56):
You're not gonna do anything in the trade deadline, so
that will just be someone sitting in that position until
the season is out.

Speaker 2 (01:19:03):
And then you go higher.

Speaker 3 (01:19:05):
A new general manager a new head coach, and you
guys come together, clean out the locker room, clean autocraft.

Speaker 2 (01:19:10):
If to them, not the guy, get rid of them.
I've got to pay him, but get rid of them.
It always starts at the top, guys. It's always about
the organization. Mark Davis, who's numbers right on my phone,
we can call him right now. I don't think he
would answer. He's not a football person. He never has

(01:19:30):
been a football person. I knew this. I've known Mark
Davis or over forty years. He's not a football person,
period exclamation point. He's actually a guy with pretty good
business since and he's been able to salvage his control
of the Raiders organization. But he's had to turn to
other people to try to make some kind of decisions.

(01:19:52):
And they decided that, okay, let's hire Pete Carroll Man
in his mid seventies, and he's got it. Look at
his record with you know USC, look at his record.
This game is passed them by. And then you bring
in Geno Smith and again bears zero resemblance to the
guy that we saw in Seattle the last couple of years.
So I mean, they're just miscalculating all over the place

(01:20:14):
and the Chiefs are taking advantage today. So you know,
I questioned why it was that the Chiefs suddenly we're
getting all these accolades after they you know, beat Detroit
at home. Okay, so they had a home win against
the Lions. But you know, it's games like this that
suddenly get your confidence back. You know, now you're just
motoring through this team. So yeah, I mean it's the Raiders,

(01:20:36):
but I think this is a big win for the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (01:20:38):
We always questioned the Pete Carroll moo, but we did
like the energy it brought, but we did question it.

Speaker 2 (01:20:43):
Yeah, I know, I don't know if that energy prevails anymore.
Much more coming up this is End Zone Radio. Oh,
having more fun than well anyone should have. That's what
we do every single Sunday here and End Zone or Radio.
Once again, we're in the Fox Sports Radio studios, six
games going on around the National Football League and keeping

(01:21:03):
an eye on which one of these games are gonna
be good? Oh, by the way, Chris, is it not
that hour? Oh? I think it is. I think it
is it is. Do you know what time? It is?

Speaker 8 (01:21:19):
No huddle hour, that's like, but no huddle hour, gonna
do that to me while I'm trying to eat pineapple,
I know.

Speaker 2 (01:21:25):
That no huddle hour where things going to high gear
as we try to figure out which one of these
games is gonna take it down to the finish line.
One game I don't think is going to go to
the finish line. Is the game going on right now
between a Panthers, thank you and the Jets? Justin Fields?
Is he out of this game? So he got benched?

(01:21:46):
To Rod Taylor? Actually it's Torod. Don't call me Tyrod
Taylor because it is to Rod Taylor. Va is in
right now? Justin Fields today six and twelve, forty six yards,
no touchdowns, no picks, three sacks. This team has a net.
Last week they had a net of negative ten yards passing.
This week they have a net of forty nine yards

(01:22:08):
pass Remember that opening game, Fields going up against Aaron
Rodgers and everyone's like, look at Justin Fields. Oh man,
oh man, oh man, No, Justin Fields. We can now
put a nail in the coffin. In his NFL career,
he's never going to be anything more than a backup quarterback.
He's not a starting quarterback in the NFL.

Speaker 13 (01:22:28):
Yeah, but what if he just finally figures it out
and is like, oh, I should just play running back
or something.

Speaker 2 (01:22:34):
He's not a running back, though he.

Speaker 13 (01:22:36):
Should try because he's not a quarterback.

Speaker 2 (01:22:38):
Well, again, if you want to be a running back
in the NFL, you got to be able to take
a lot of punishment. There's a lot of difference between
running quarterback and being a running back. He could probably
pay White out.

Speaker 3 (01:22:47):
But to that doughbo And that's why, honestly, man, I
know I keep harping on it, but the man does
speak so smart. When I listen to Tom Brady, I
feel like I get smarter about football. And I'm already
a smart guy into sport. I feel like it's smart
on listen to him. We just assume everyone can develop
these guys. He has been failed like many. I'm not
trying to make a certain excuse for justin fields, but

(01:23:08):
we all can admit this, like many we have seen
in our lives of watching football. That's why we love
when the guy gets it and it does click. But
there's no there's no mistaking that Patrick Mahomes who's number one, right,
He's got Andy Reid, That's who he's had since the
minute he's walked into this league.

Speaker 2 (01:23:28):
He's had no other voice.

Speaker 3 (01:23:30):
He said, no, he had the talent, but could you
imagine him in Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (01:23:33):
No, he would not be the same Jackson. He wouldn't
be the same guy. By the way, here's my favorite
stat of the year in the NFL. Justin Fields this
year has thrown zero interceptions.

Speaker 3 (01:23:46):
Oh wow, oh wow. He hasn't turned the ball off.
He has him They are think about that.

Speaker 2 (01:23:51):
Your team is zero and six, probably gonna be owing seven,
and your starting quarterback has not thrown a single interception
the entire year.

Speaker 3 (01:24:02):
Wow, that's and you're still wins and you're still on
something that's possible.

Speaker 2 (01:24:06):
That's a crazy stat. I mean, that is one of
my all time favorite stats because like, they are winless
and their starting quarterback has not thrown a single interception
the entire year.

Speaker 3 (01:24:17):
He's been failed though what we saw at Ohio State
when he had guys around him, Like, listen, I've been
a mac Jones dump on guy.

Speaker 2 (01:24:23):
My whole radio Chris is mac Joe. But I backed
off this year.

Speaker 3 (01:24:26):
You guys, have I've said anything bad about him because
guess what, he's with a competent staff that actually can
look at him and go hey, hold up, you're still
six foot four, sis six foot five. You know usc
guy that was the top five pick. You're still that guy.
But you've been failed up until this point. Now we've
seen them with Baker Mayfield. Baker, anybody that goes to
Cleveland's done. Anybody that gets drafted is done, from Tim

(01:24:48):
Couch to the quarterbacks we can name that have been
drafted there, Brady Quinn.

Speaker 2 (01:24:51):
They get there, it's it's not a good situation.

Speaker 3 (01:24:54):
Baker Mayfield gets to a few different situations, then ends
up with Sean McVay, who cuts the light off four goes,
earns himself another one hundred million dollar contract and now
has his team in first place, going on role putting
up thirty plus points up in Seattle with a good
defense like it, that.

Speaker 2 (01:25:11):
Stuff just matters.

Speaker 3 (01:25:11):
I just think Justin Fields has been failed as a quarterback,
and right now no one will take another. I agree
with you, Steve, he's done his to start a quarterback
because why would you try? Why would you?

Speaker 2 (01:25:21):
And you're not going to invest in him time or
the efforts. I mean, they've seen enough, all right. A
team trying to get back in the game is the vikings, right,
now trailing the Eagles twenty one to nine, five and
a half minutes to go in the third quarter. They
have a second and five right now at the Philadelphia
fourteen yard line. Carson Wentz, Well, that's a nice pass
for a first down. So the Vikings right now trying

(01:25:43):
to get back in this game for the Eagles. But
where are where are we right now with the Philadelphia Eagles?
Give us a little sense we know the sense? Well,
I mean, I know you look at it. I mean,
this is a man that talks to talk and walks
the walk. I'm talking about bow Ben because even after
winning the Super Bowl in dominating fashion, still not sold

(01:26:07):
on Sirian. He's still not sold on Jalen Hurts. We
can upgrade it both coach and at quarterback. You seem
to be justified. Don't you have a new segment now?

Speaker 13 (01:26:16):
Well, I think we I had to talk to Ricky.
We should all have a new segment at some point today.
But yeah, I mean, look, they had a great opening
drive when you're on script, and ever since then, outside
of the Devonte Smith touchdown, it's been three and out,
three and out, three and out. So they have offensive
line problems for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:26:32):
But they're gonna piece this thing together and hold it
together like an NFL team should. A lot of times
in these situations, you do enough to get the dub
and to move on. You're going to get to tough
Brian Flora's defense today. Yes, Carson Wentz is on the
other side taking his snaps. But in the NFL, there's

(01:26:54):
just no style points. Man, the wins, that's true. The
wins matter, not right now. They you know, Philly's got
the ball on this who are lone second goal?

Speaker 2 (01:27:01):
Looks like that? All right? Oh look at that a
direct snap that's not going to get there. By the way,
in this game, I like my stats, right, Jalen Hurts
is eleven of thirteen, one hundred and seventy five, one
hundred and seventy yards, two touchdowns and no picks. That
is a perfect passer rating. I took the one fifty

(01:27:23):
eight point three. That is a perfect passer rating. That
is what Jalen Hurts, who Bo can't get rid of
fast enough, has done in this game today against the
Vikings and a half. What a plus four plus two
twenty And by the way, when is Saequon Barkley coming back?
Eight carries thirty Yards's longest run is nine yards. Have

(01:27:44):
they are what is going on with the Saquon Barkley situation.

Speaker 13 (01:27:48):
The issue is their offensive line is not the same
one it was last year.

Speaker 2 (01:27:52):
Well we keep saying that, but I mean this is
this is freaking sake on Barkley.

Speaker 13 (01:27:58):
Like I like I said after they got blow out
by the Giants, I'm really tired of hearing the excuse
about personnel because Jackson Dart doesn't have his best wide
receiver and he put up thirty four points on the Eagles,
so they should probably be trying to score more than
twenty one points in a game.

Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
All right, Vikings get it into the end zone, so
waiting on the extra point. They are right back in
this game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The extra point is
good twenty one sixteen. Now Eagles lead the Vikings three
and a half minutes to go in the third quarter
of that game. By the way, during the baseball postseason,
Strauss made history as the first brand ever on helmets

(01:28:36):
family owns since nineteen forty eight. Strauss makes work where
built to perform smart pocket design, real comfort and durability
you can trust. From grit to glory gear up today
at strauss dot com. That's s t R a uss
dot com. I was listening to our dear friend Bernie
Fradle last night, and you know, he does his midnight
hour where he has different topics, and he was talking

(01:28:59):
about if the Dodgers win the World Series, being the
first repeat champion since the Yankees won three in a
row from ninety eight to two thousand, is that good
for baseball? And I was surprised to hear a majority
of people say what I've always said, dynasties are good
in sports. Yep. I don't care what the sport is
or individual sport or team sport dominance cells because even

(01:29:25):
if you hate that team, as a lot of people
are hating on the Dodgers right now. Go to Bo
Benson again, who's a big Dodger guy. You revel into this,
you know when people say, well, you know, a billion
dollars can buy you a lot, all this kind of stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:29:40):
Uh, you know, like your text message the other night
between you I and both I'd love.

Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
To I You see how I threw that out him
and I knew Bo would respond immediately, but was a
little sidled until I threw out.

Speaker 3 (01:29:51):
That about to say, bo never responds to the Until
I threw out that long out, the bubbles popped up immediately.

Speaker 2 (01:29:59):
But I mean, when when you're the fan of the
team that is the beneficiary of a dominant period and
all that hates come in your way, you love it, right, Yeah, I.

Speaker 13 (01:30:10):
Don't care, Like I remember twenty three and twenty two
and twenty one when it was all the Dodgers spent
all that money to lose in the first round, right, right,
So I don't care. Like really, what it is, though,
is the payroll does not make your eBay throw that
ball away at first base and allow a run to score.

Speaker 2 (01:30:25):
Right.

Speaker 13 (01:30:25):
The payroll doesn't make Christian Yelich, who's paid more than
a lot of guys on the Dodgers, go what one
for twenty two in the series or whatever it was, Like,
the payroll excuses just sat. Pat Murphy was embarrassing all week.
He should probably get fired just for bringing shame upon
the Brewers organization for his like comments to the media.

Speaker 2 (01:30:44):
Well, I mean they were major underdogs despite the fact
that team yeah swept him in the sea. By the way,
guys mean nothing. You know. The thing that about the Dodgers.
Is is the fact that you know they were able
to get that deferred deal done with Shohe. That's the
sticking point. They haven't broken any rules, but now all
of a sudden, we're talking about a cap, and if

(01:31:06):
you're going to go that direction, I can promise you this,
there will be a workstoppage. It could wipe out an
entire baseball season. There is no stronger union, not just sports,
any union stronger than major League Baseball players Union. They
never crack ever, ever, ever, There's never, ever, ever, ever,
not even a little bit nothing, and they will make

(01:31:29):
sure that there is no cap in major League Baseball. Yeah,
this could be a wipeout of I mean, look out, folks,
twenty twenty seven. That's a real chance there could be
no season in twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 3 (01:31:41):
You know why this is great for baseball because we
haven't really talked baseball like that in this nation on
higher you know, platforms and media, mainstream TV shows and
radio shows. We baseball gets a little bit of love.
The rule change has probably had a kind of up
to talk a little bit with the pitch clock in
a bigger basis. You know you can and then show hey, yeah,

(01:32:04):
but you can only talk show. Hey, like, we live
in LA, so we're here, so we hear it NonStop.
You get in the car, you hear if you're listening
to local people. But the nation is not getting that.
This is great for baseball because also it's Los Angeles.
It's a huge market. Everyone loves to hate this city,
but guess the what. Everybody wants to come here. Everybody
wants to visit. They want to see the Hollywood Sign,
they want to see the Walk of Fame. They want

(01:32:25):
to see Grammins. They want to see Venice Beach. They
want to see guys playing basketball outside where they shot
white man can't jump.

Speaker 2 (01:32:31):
Like, you want to come to LA to see all
this stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:32:34):
LA's got to put a product out because I don't
have to go to your bad sports team.

Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
I can go to brunch in November and sit outside
at the beach. I don't have to go watch.

Speaker 3 (01:32:42):
Your bad NFL team or your bad baseball team in
the springtime.

Speaker 2 (01:32:45):
So you better win here. It's great for LA. It's great.
It's straight and look at the set. I'm old enough
to remember the Steinbrenner in the seventies when they open
up free agency and he started buying players, and the
Yankees are winning World Series and everyone's hating, hating, hating,
hating on the Yankees. No one hated them more than me.
Uh but just get hey, you know what, fine hate

(01:33:06):
on me? Watch just hand me another trophy and me
another trophe.

Speaker 13 (01:33:10):
The funniest part about it is that, like Max Munsey
is the Dodgers all time leader in postseason home runs,
anybody could have signed Max Munsey what he had two
tremendous years, Key k Hernandez turns into a Hall of
Fame level bat in the playoffs, Like anybody could have
Abody Hernandez. Anybody could have any It's not the Dodgers payroll. Yeah,
likes Shoe ha O Tan. He could have signed anywhere,
but he chose the Dodgers because.

Speaker 2 (01:33:31):
By the way, I love the fact that Show Hayes
the third Dodger they have three home runs in an
LCS game. The other two are Keiy k Hernandez and
Chris Taylor.

Speaker 8 (01:33:43):
I think it's I think it's journeyman. I think it's
interesting coming from the fans too. I saw this one
post on social media, and I think it captured my
sentiment as well. Like I don't think people are like
there was someone at saying like, I'm not pissed to
the Dodgers, I'm upset at the Twins for blowing up
the payroll that I'm I'm upset at the Miami Marlins
who cannot put together a World Series roster without just

(01:34:05):
immediately fire sailing this. I'm upset at the White Sox
who have refused to spend any kind of money whatsoever.
That's the problem going on right now.

Speaker 2 (01:34:14):
Let me tell you this. Yes, when Peters Seidler down
in San Diego sign Manny Machado to that three hundred
million dollar deal, andone's like, you can't do that. You're
a small market team. There's no such thing. There's small
money teams right In other words, there are people that
use that small market team as an excuse for not
spending money. The Pirates siler. Everybody angry at him in

(01:34:38):
San Diego because he exposed the fraud that there are
teams that don't have money. They all have money there
there are more.

Speaker 8 (01:34:47):
Teams that could compete out there, and y me, as
a Tigers fan, I have to sit here and listen
to well, we might not be able to pay Terrek school.

Speaker 2 (01:34:53):
Why can't you pay Trek's school?

Speaker 7 (01:34:55):
Why?

Speaker 2 (01:34:55):
Why thing with Pittsburgh right now, with Paul Schimes right, well,
we can't afford Yes you can, you can every single
team in Major League Baseball in the Afflorida Stadium. Yeah,
you can't pay him, by the way, you don't want to.

Speaker 8 (01:35:07):
And if you can't, go find more guys to buy in,
like the Dodgers did. Just find more ownership to the
capital in there.

Speaker 2 (01:35:14):
Exactly. All right, we'll continue on with these six games.
Which games are gonna go down to the wire. Yes, indeed,
it's the no huddle hour. Here on end zone, ward.

Speaker 12 (01:35:25):
Under center to receivers to his left, shot to the
right and putting a tight end.

Speaker 2 (01:35:29):
On the wing with single back ends on means turns, playfakes,
rolls in the country.

Speaker 12 (01:35:36):
Chase picks up the ball to play chase on passer
running into the end zone as pav one off the
play take rolling backward in big trouble with the Patriots
are selling the Chase on able to hold.

Speaker 2 (01:35:52):
In take the football match a hustle. That's ninety eighty
five the sports up and the Patriots radio networks. So
a game that the Titans led early and no longer.
Patriots lead this game thirty one to thirteen, eight forty
six to go Drake May nineteen of twenty one, two

(01:36:14):
hundred and thirteen yards and a pair of scores. So
the Patriots look well on their way to move to
five and two, which would give them an outright lead
in the AFC East. And wow, you talk about the
haves and the have nots. You got the Patriots at
five and two soon obviously the Bills with the by

(01:36:34):
wickers sitting at four and two. And then of course
you have the winless Jets and the team that well,
their only winn is against.

Speaker 3 (01:36:40):
The Jets, and that is your Miami Dolphins. Yes, right now,
today the Patriots look good man. It's listen. We always
say this, Look, you gotta beat who's on your schedule. Okay,
doesn't matter who it is.

Speaker 2 (01:36:53):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:36:53):
I hate that sype of Saal because now now we're
getting into too many variables.

Speaker 2 (01:36:56):
It's like, look, did they win or did they lose?
You got to play.

Speaker 3 (01:37:00):
It's not like, oh, well the Titans are bad, so
we don't have to play them this week and we
just get a nothing for this. No, it's eighteen seventeen games.
You gotta play the seventeen. They did what they're supposed
to do. You're going the road, little testy. Earlier Titans
had some energy, but you have the better players. Your
quarterback got knocked out, had to go get check. All
he does is come in, throw a touchdown. Then you
get a scoop and score. See those back to back
possessions like that. When you get a defensive touchdown off

(01:37:22):
of scoring off of a scoring position possession, it really
does just flip the game around, because you know ten,
ten to three can turn into seventeen to three real fast,
you know what I'm saying. And at that point, if
you can't move the ball and you don't have an offense,
and you know you're my beloved Miami Dolphins, and there's
just no chemistry today to eleven of twenty eighty nine
yards on the flip side though, Dylan Gabriel eleven or

(01:37:44):
fourteen ninety one yards. Quinton Jonskins the twenty one carries
for seventy eight yards. That's not a great average. He's
had the two big runs. One was for forty six
in a touchdown, so other than that, the other thirty
something yards have come on his other twenty carries, while
Davon a Chan has eighty two yards on twelve carries,
was averaging seven and a half almost eight yards of touch.
But you've only given them the ball twelve times, Jayla

(01:38:04):
Watta one reception fifteen yards Like it's if you if
this is the product you're gonna put out on the field,
then you better make sure you can you sustain it.

Speaker 2 (01:38:13):
And that's what the Patriot.

Speaker 3 (01:38:14):
I say all that to say, that's what the Patriots
have done, even on draws where they haven't done well.
I love these have held up and the defensive scoring
that that's a big thing when you're defa.

Speaker 2 (01:38:21):
One of the things I love about my partner here
is said he's he's loyal. He's a very loyal guy. Yes,
I am a loyal guy, and I try to tell
him before the season began. Good good, I mean they're
just I didn't think they beat this bad, but they
are not good. I ad. I mean, you know, well
may not get the six wins at this boy, but

(01:38:44):
I mean, meanwhile, the Vikings right now, fourth and twelve
at the Philly seventeen yard line, they're gonna come on
with a field goal attempt and the field goal attempt.
By the way, the Eagles missed one. This one is good.
So now the Eagles lead is down to two twenty
one nineteen Eagles leading the Vikings. If the Eagles lose

(01:39:08):
this game to a Vikings team led by Carson Wentz,
just another loss over Well, I mean that that is
another division right now that needs a little reviewing. Let's
let's take a look here, period. Well, where do you
look at everything? Well, I mentioned this night, would you

(01:39:30):
the other night basically said nothing's good right now in
the league. I mean there's there's certainly no dominance in
anything else in week to week. We really have no
way to read this league. But I mean, if you
look at the NFC East, the Giant well, here's the thing,
all right, we haven't talked about this game coming up.
Giants are on the road against the Broncos, and everyone's

(01:39:52):
buzzing about the Giants right now, right you know, Jackson
Dart and Cambaboo, the camb everybody's talking about the Giants. Scataboo. Camboboo,
I call him. I just I get through it, cam Scataboo.
So the Giants today are going to get worked. They're
going up against the number one defense in the league currently,

(01:40:14):
which is the Denver Broncos. They're going to put a
hurt on Jackson Dark. Really, Oh yeah, I've waited a
second now let me I well, no, there's right now.
They're sitting at four and two. They're okay, they've won
three in a row. They're on a three game winning streak.

Speaker 3 (01:40:31):
And I don't know if you noticed the tape, the tape,
but the tape anyway, go ahead, but the tape the record, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:40:36):
But the tape. Look at Bownicks got off to a
very slow start, not playing well. But he's playing a
little bit better. But again, this is the number one
rated overall defense in the league right now. Okay, I
took the Giants to cover in one of my underds. Well,
that's why I'm asking you. That's why I'm asking it too,
Giants to cover. Really, what was the points? What do
you get?

Speaker 3 (01:40:57):
I found it at seven and a half seven and
a half last night, So that's more than it. Ushdown,
I listened to this Giant team. Well, Jackson darkut run
around and make a play to this defense is that's
defense has played good for them.

Speaker 2 (01:41:08):
That's what Jackson Dart has done best is his ability
to scramble around and ad lib and create some plays.
I mean, he's a very talented thrower of the football.
I remember all the way back to his USC days
before he ended up down at Old Miss. I mean,
the guy can really throw the ball. But that's not
what's being working for him. And Scataboo obviously has been
a huge force for them. And if they can run,

(01:41:30):
if they can find a way to run effectively on
that Bronco defense, more power to them. Well, they just
don't see it happening.

Speaker 1 (01:41:36):
Well.

Speaker 3 (01:41:36):
If the Broncos have the six ranked rush defense in
the league right now, and that's why I'm kind of
with you as far as that's concerned, and the Broncos
are gonna have to run the football. You can't put
in a boat Nick's hand. Giants rush defense right now,
they give up one hundred and twenty yards twenty eight
yard excuse me a game, which is good enough for
twenty second in the NFL right now as a rush
run defense. So the Broncos do want to win this game,

(01:41:59):
they're gonna have to run the ball. The reason why
I took the points is that they're gonna run the ball.
I mean, the clock is gonna keep running. They're gonna
play possession football, which means the Giants will have some
opportunities to make some plays and get the ball back.
They're gonna have to get some turnovers. But that seven
and a half just looked a little too juicy for
me for a Broncos team. Like you said, yeah, four
to two, but the tape says that they can. They
can be got at seven and a half at home

(01:42:19):
to a Giants team that's gonna run the football and
a guy like Jackson Dart that can run around and
make some play.

Speaker 2 (01:42:24):
How many people have Quinchawn Judkins on their roster for
fantasy football? Just scored its third rushing touchdown of the game,
twenty two carries eighty yards and three scores on the ground,
and the Cleveland Browns are hanging on to a thirty
one to six lead over the Miami doll if you
missed it too.

Speaker 3 (01:42:43):
Through another interception, ball on the two yard line and
shotgun and another free guy not even no one sees him,
makes a b line to tour and two is like, Okay,
I gotta get rid of this day and I can't
take this hit and takes this safety and through a
pick that got returned to like the two and then
the first play.

Speaker 2 (01:43:02):
They talk about turnovers, the Raiders just turned it over again. Uh,
they just showed Pete Carroll on the sideline. The Chiefs
are leading thirty one nothing. By the way, this is
the second oldest matchup of coaches in the history of
the National Football Wow, second oldest and a big robbery
gang too. Do you fight?

Speaker 3 (01:43:20):
Like we're talking about firing coaches and I just told
this something about Pete Carroll Gate, Like, you can't fire
him after one year?

Speaker 2 (01:43:25):
Can you? Oh? Absolutely you can. Really the Raiders, Al
Davis fired people after one year. He fired his dear friend.
Could you fire Pete Carroll this year? Why not?

Speaker 13 (01:43:36):
The case for keeping Pete Carroll this year?

Speaker 2 (01:43:37):
Yeah? What is the case? That's a great that's a
great question. I mean, if you if you're expecting better things,
like you know, well, we're putting the pieces together. That's
Belichick's thing in North Carolina. Right, Well, we're we're we're
establishing something here.

Speaker 3 (01:43:53):
Because you gotta you got it takes a it takes
a couple of years.

Speaker 2 (01:43:58):
We're his quarterback, right, what he went was kind of
left he went, but that was Gino was his guy.
That was look I said, I was on the record
before the season, I said, when you look at the Raiders,
they've done three things to obviously upgrade their team. You've
taken a running back Ash and Gent who's going to
upgrade the running game? Gino Smith is going to be

(01:44:19):
better at any quarterback you had last year. And certainly
Pete Carroll's an upgrade. Well one of those sort of
is an upgrade with Gent sort of, but the other
two have been absolute disasters.

Speaker 8 (01:44:31):
I think this just goes back to the conversation we're
having last hour about how you rebuild, and it's just
everything in the in the league especially can get staggered,
and it's it's not like it ever hit rock bottom
for where like, all right, we got to blow it
all up and start fresh and new. To give you
the time if you're someone like Las Vegas, like they
just continually try to keep adding the pieces each year

(01:44:53):
missing and.

Speaker 2 (01:44:53):
They're missing big people.

Speaker 3 (01:44:55):
Rock Bowers hasn't played in three or four weeks as well.

Speaker 2 (01:44:58):
But I can Gent today twenty one yard six carriage.

Speaker 3 (01:45:02):
Yeah, I mean that's I mean, that's another anomaly that
we'll discuss and why he's not getting the carries. He
even knows he's made comments about it. But I just
I just believe if you're gonna fire guys, And I
agree with Chris, that's actually that's actually a nice point
that you made.

Speaker 2 (01:45:15):
There is.

Speaker 3 (01:45:16):
I think a lot of times I call Hi mcgivery, right,
you guys remember the old TV show mcgivery. He get
locked in the cave. Yeah, to get the gum and
a paper clip and a firecracker. He can make a
bomb and blow a hole big enough for him to
stick his hand out to unlocked. You know, little stuff.
I call Hi mcguyver in your franchise. Right, Okay, let's
just try to fix this. So let's try to fix
this piece of charge instead of looking at the whole

(01:45:37):
scope and go okay, but if we fix this piece,
this piece is still broken over here.

Speaker 2 (01:45:42):
We have to blow this up.

Speaker 3 (01:45:43):
Like everybody GM head coach, quarterback, like everybody's got to go,
and we have to really start this thing over. As
two of his just thrown his third interception today, he
seems like he's having a great week after his two parts.

Speaker 2 (01:45:56):
Well he's pretty much he's thrown all right, find out
what is dreading right now, Mansa. We have to save
many saj form himself find me every time he looks
up and it's another turnover for the dolphin.

Speaker 10 (01:46:12):
Yeah no, no, don't even put that. Take that game off.
Put something else on so that you don't hurt yourself anything.

Speaker 2 (01:46:16):
Want I ask them? I asked them not to put
me out of my misery.

Speaker 10 (01:46:19):
Actually, all right, yeah, whatever you want to you want
to do, go ahead.

Speaker 1 (01:46:24):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (01:46:24):
It was thirteen and three for the Eagles and Jalen
Hurts had a big throat to aj Brown and now
Saquon Barkley with another first down. So the Eagles right
now are driving, trying to extend their lead over the Vikings.
They're up twenty one to nineteen. They're around midfield right now.
The Panthers and Jets have two quarterbacks in the game
that didn't start the game. Bryce Young is questionable to

(01:46:45):
return with an ankle injury, so Sam Donald isn't that quarterback,
and as you guys talked about Justin Fields being benched
to Rod Taylor in that quarterback. And Panthers are up
thirteen to three still early in the fourth quarter, and
they're driving. They're making their way towards the red zone.
Chiefs have only punted once in this game. They're crushing
the Raiders thirty one zero, about five minutes to go.
In that one, Patrick Mahomes is twenty six of thirty five,

(01:47:07):
two hundred and eighty six yards and three touchdowns. The
Patriots have a thirty one to thirteen lead over the
Titans with about five minutes to go. Yeah, all Browns
and this one. Dolphins just can't get the ball moving.
Thirty one to six is a score ten minutes to go.
Still Bears over the Saints twenty three to fourteen.

Speaker 10 (01:47:25):
Early in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 9 (01:47:26):
The Saints had a nice move, but I think they
called it back.

Speaker 10 (01:47:29):
It was supposed to be a backwards pass.

Speaker 9 (01:47:31):
It looked like a forward's pass from Alvin Kamara to
Alvin Kamara, but I think they called it back.

Speaker 10 (01:47:35):
Bears are still up on this one. Twenty three to fourteen.

Speaker 9 (01:47:38):
In London, it was the Rams who crushed the Jaguars
thirty five to seven. Matthew Stafford through four hundred and
eighty two yards and five touchdowns, three of.

Speaker 10 (01:47:45):
Them went to Devonte Adams.

Speaker 9 (01:47:47):
Josh Jacobs is going to be active for the Packers
today as they take on the Cardinals, that's for sure.

Speaker 10 (01:47:52):
They already reported that.

Speaker 9 (01:47:54):
In college football, Florida fired head coach Billy Napier, even
though they beat Mississippi State yesterday. But Florida is off
to a three and four start. AP Top twenty five
college football poll came out. Ohio State still in at
number one, Indiana moved up to number two.

Speaker 10 (01:48:09):
Number three. Texas A and m their highest.

Speaker 9 (01:48:11):
Ranking since nineteen ninety five. Alabama moved up to number four.
Number five is Georgia coming in at number ten. Vanderbilt
top ten team in college football for the first time
since nineteen forty seven.

Speaker 2 (01:48:23):
That is a Saint crazy.

Speaker 10 (01:48:25):
It was a great win for them yesterday.

Speaker 9 (01:48:27):
Yes, Louisville makes its top twenty five debut, coming in
at number nineteen.

Speaker 2 (01:48:33):
I know UCLA's got to be in the top twenty.
I don't think so three and four. Yeah, yeah, I'm sorry.
By the way, just play a little fantasy with me
this week. Yeah. So UCLA is at Indiana, all right,
So the second rank Hoosiers at Indiana, who, by the way,
blew out UCLA last year at the rose Ball. But
playlist fantasy game. So UCLA wins at Indiana. Okay, they

(01:48:57):
have a home game against Nebraska, win that, and then
they win at number one Ohio State.

Speaker 10 (01:49:01):
Wow, so that would get fantasy.

Speaker 2 (01:49:03):
Okay, but play a lot at six and four with
road victories against Ohio State and Indiana. Where would they
be ranked? And this man says, hold on, hold on
a second. I'm just where would you ran a team
that it would be six and four with road victories
against the number one and two teams in the country.
Would it be in the top ten?

Speaker 3 (01:49:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (01:49:24):
I would say in the if that this crazy fanas.

Speaker 2 (01:49:27):
Okay, thank you, No, no.

Speaker 10 (01:49:29):
It is crazy crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:49:31):
I can dream like can dream? Yeah? Wake up, I'm
trying to offset your dolphins. That's Freddy Krueger good stuff.

Speaker 10 (01:49:42):
Yeah, thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (01:49:45):

(01:50:07):

me ask you again as we continue to watch what's
happening with the Dolphins, Jones, is as long as you
have been a self proclaimed Dolphins fan? Yes? Is this
the low point right now? It's close to.

Speaker 3 (01:50:23):
The one in fifteen year. But the one in fifteen year,
ironically was my first full year living in Los Angeles.
I had just moved out here from Virginia to do
comedy in sports and acting and all that stuff. But
we knew the team was I mean you knew that. Yeah,
that team wasn't good at all. Cleo Lennon was our
quarterback that was coming off the back end of Dave

(01:50:44):
Weinstad and all the Ricky Williams trouble that was going
on there. And this is before Ronnie Brown, this is
before the Wildcat, this is before Tony Spirano, this is
before all of that.

Speaker 2 (01:50:54):
That year, you just knew it.

Speaker 3 (01:50:55):
But I remember being in Long Beach and the day
that they beat the Ravens, and over time, I had
on my damn Marino Mitchell in this throwback and it
just happened to having and I went to the sports
board watch again. I remember being in parking lot of
Averson's and these two Mexican guys yelling out, Hey Holmes,
that's how you do it, man, you keep showing faith
for your team.

Speaker 2 (01:51:12):
I see you guys get your win today, man.

Speaker 3 (01:51:14):
And I remember turning around and look, I was like, hey, bro,
I ain't never go running hot. It hurts like hell,
but hey, we're not going oh to sixteen. We're not
gonna do that.

Speaker 2 (01:51:21):
What is Mike McDaniel doing. He's staring at the board,
which he's been doing the entire game. Cleveland has the ball,
So what exactly is he staring at.

Speaker 3 (01:51:30):
I think I think he doesn't want to look at
other players in the uh in the eye.

Speaker 2 (01:51:36):
Right now. It looks bad. It just does, man. And
like I said, if you're gonna do it, look at him,
look at it. And they're show him right now. He
is staring at the chart, which he's looking at what
he has.

Speaker 13 (01:51:46):
What he has is he has his phone under there
and he's looking at Indeed, dot com you can find
a new job.

Speaker 2 (01:51:51):
Well he's not. He's not gonna need He is not looking.

Speaker 1 (01:51:55):
Up on.

Speaker 2 (01:51:56):
Game. I've never seen anything quite like It's It looks uncomfortable.
That's the thing.

Speaker 3 (01:52:01):
You can see body language. You can see he looks
like there's no one talking to him. There's no no,
But this is what happens when you don't properly put
a team together. You kind of let some guys go
to ju just kept fan Ginkel Wilkins. I can I
can name a bunch of them in that they didn't
want to pay. And now look at your d like,
look at the team, like, look what happened? You lose
Tyreek this year to a miss eight games last year.

(01:52:21):
It's been snowballing.

Speaker 2 (01:52:23):
It just is what it is, all right, Well, the
Eagles needed something that happened and they did another touchdown
pass from Jalen Hurts to A J. Brown twenty six
yards and the Eagles have now extended the lead to
twenty eight to nineteen over the Vikings with six and
a half minutes ago. I hoped, well, again this was
an Eagles team because of AJ Brown being very vocal

(01:52:46):
about his unhappiness with the team. And weren't we just
talking about it's time to trade AJ Brown, get rid.

Speaker 3 (01:52:52):
Of them are throwing the football. Just do one or
two things. I said it last week. If you're not listening,
if you feel like you have a cancers type of
person out and in your locker room, get rid of him.
I am not a guy of trying to work through
it at The Eagles have been through this before with
a guy late Terror Loans, and he did it in
every locker room he was in. Some guys are just
who they are, Steve, and I'm not one to say, oh,
you work through that.

Speaker 2 (01:53:12):
No, that is going to be bad.

Speaker 3 (01:53:14):
That is going to inject itself into your into your team,
your locker room.

Speaker 2 (01:53:19):
As the Dolphins have now.

Speaker 3 (01:53:20):
Made the quarterback switch and Quinn Eylers Ewers, how are
you pronouncing it?

Speaker 2 (01:53:25):
Almost just threw a pick on his firsts. It's hit.
I want to update Jalen hurts day today. This doesn't
happen very often, folks, but Jalen Hurts is about to
have a perfect passer rating today perfect one fifty eight
point three eighteen of twenty one, two hundred and eighty
one yards, three touchdowns and no picks. Are you ready

(01:53:47):
Bo Benson to give him his due with his perfect
passer rating today? Against some pretty good Vikings defense they
had on.

Speaker 13 (01:53:55):
The road, they had to come out and play well today,
so kudos to them for figuring out that you can
in fact takes from under center and use play action
when running plays.

Speaker 2 (01:54:03):
And by the way, if you're still hanging on to
Saquon Barkley on your fantasy football team, fifteen carries forty
six yards three point one yards carry. This is basically
his entire season, zero touchdowns, long run of nine yards
that has been Saquon Barkleys hold on all season important
Boas said well, offensive line seems to be helping out
Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 3 (01:54:23):
Jalen Hurts, I'm sitting up here watching the game on
Mas are off. The rest of these games have been fixed.
On this game, Jalen Hurts also has maybe uh, you know,
chicken salad out of you know what. This line is
breaking down. He's able to shift and step left to
right and make guys miss the third down third and
eleven completion that he made to aj Brown on the
sideline before he throws it touched down.

Speaker 2 (01:54:42):
That's all Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 3 (01:54:43):
This is this is why when I hear that you
can't do this with him, or you can't do this
with him, or.

Speaker 2 (01:54:47):
You can't it's just like, are we missing these other players?

Speaker 3 (01:54:50):
Are these other things that you you do do I
feel like Jalen Hurts is Jalen Hurst is the spouse
that's not appreciated for the eighty percent of what he does,
and people are looking at you try to replace the
twenty percent of what he doesn't doing things that they
go get somebody else. They'll get all that eighty plus
the twenty and that's just not how it works. I
just think he works perfectly for where he is and

(01:55:11):
what he has there. They're gonna have bad games. They
got some using offensive line, but I mean, like both said,
you needed it today coming off the Giants embarrassing loss
almost three hundred yards, you know, touchdown, no turnovers. I'm
just trying to figure out, you know, when do we
get when do we get him his due? When do
we give his love?

Speaker 2 (01:55:26):
Man? By the way, in terms of actual time, like time,
this Chiefs Raiders game is over. This might be the
shortest game of the year. I mean the Chiefs have
basically been running out the clock since the beginning of
the game. Thirty one nothing. Final score today mahomes two
hundred and eighty six yards and three touchdowns. Gino Smith,

(01:55:47):
don't ask. It's hard to square in the NFL. Man
so far I mean, there's gonna be a lot of
coaches answering questions again this week in the NFL. Well,
we see another firing. Cold was the first, who will
be the next. We continue on with more coverage, looking
to see if the Vikings can still get back in
this game against the Eagles. This is end zone radio,

(01:56:10):
no huddle hour.

Speaker 6 (01:56:11):
Perse He lines up in the gun with park Legos left,
his two best receivers stuck to the nearest side of
the field, Brown outside of Smith. Now Brown goes a motion,
hurts back, hurts, looking, hurts, firing AJ Brown touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:56:28):
That's ninety four WIP Eagles the radio network. So the
Eagles extending only twenty eight to nineteen of the Vikings
and a potential Vikings touchdown is being reviewed right now.
I think Hawkinson that ball hit the ground. We'll see
what they're ruling right now. So they are looking a
review on that catch. There is three minutes to go,

(01:56:51):
and again, if the touchdown holds up and they rule
touchdown on the field, potentially this will make it a
two point game with the Eagles. Once again, we're here
in the Fox Sports radio studios, and yes, it is
that time.

Speaker 8 (01:57:06):
Here we go the precise profitables over under a half a.

Speaker 2 (01:57:11):
Flagrant, gentlemen, are your perfect picks? All right?

Speaker 8 (01:57:16):
Guys, Recapping last week once again, Steve coming into oh
he took the over on Patrick mahomes rushing yards and
the over on Jon Robinson's scrimmage yards. So I believe
it now sets something close to eight to two right now,
the Seas Day.

Speaker 2 (01:57:30):
What is going on here? Hall of fame here, dude?
Because a year, dude, I'm not going to fight against
your year. No, no, you're gonna fight. We got some
picks we're gonna have very great all right.

Speaker 8 (01:57:45):
All right, Speaking of Jon Robinson, Robinson, he needs one
hundred and seventy eight yards against the Niners, being the
first player. This is Marshall Faults reached one thousand scrimmage
yards through six games. So I'm asking you who has
more yards in this game, rushing yards, not scrimmageyards, rush yards.

Speaker 2 (01:57:59):
Christian mccaff free or Jon Robinson. That's easy, all right. Well,
since I'm on a roll, I'll take McCaffrey, all right.
You're taking McCaffrey, all right, So we got some disagree as.

Speaker 13 (01:58:09):
A matter of what I say these days, I'm right
it's great, all right, but real quick, we'll go to
the Packers, uh Packers Cardinals game.

Speaker 2 (01:58:17):
I don't know why blank there.

Speaker 8 (01:58:19):
Rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden hasn't scored a touchdown this season,
but he had a career high eighty six yard receiving against.

Speaker 2 (01:58:26):
The Bengals last week. He's making some big catches.

Speaker 8 (01:58:28):
So over under Matthew Golden touchdown a half hunger.

Speaker 2 (01:58:35):
I say he gets in the end zone. Over over,
I mean, I'm like, I did want to throw I
like it would you guys like a quick third one
on college? Coach got fired? All right?

Speaker 8 (01:58:47):
Will there be a coach fired before the next perfect
pick college or NFL?

Speaker 2 (01:58:51):
Yes, I agree with yes. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:58:52):
I think I think two could be fired because I
think there's some talks in Tallahassee today.

Speaker 2 (01:58:56):
He just hasn't broken yet, Yeah, I think so.

Speaker 7 (01:59:01):
They have.

Speaker 3 (01:59:02):
They've had a great recruiting class for the last two
years now and they have not cast and these kids
are not performing.

Speaker 2 (01:59:07):
On the field perfectly, all right, all right, very good,
all right. So the Vikings they reversed the touchdown. The
ball did hit the ground, so the Vikings still have
the ball right now, and they have just gotten a
first down on a fourth and two. So the Vikings
very much in this game. So at least we got
one game here, by the way, one game is still
not over the Panthers and the Jets. The Jets got

(01:59:29):
a field goal to cut the lead to seven, and
now the Panthers are punting to the Jets with under
five minutes ago, so plenty of time here. The Jets
benched justin fields put in to Rod don't call me
Tyrod Taylor at quarterback, and again this is the kind
of Thwest kind of games where a guy like Taylor,

(01:59:51):
who's been around, done that, been there, seeing that with
every team in the league, seemingly could lead the Jets
right down the field, maybe force a little overtime in
this game.

Speaker 3 (02:00:00):
So if he could, if he would have done it already,
hasn't been able to move the ball. The Jets have
just as many problems as the other bad teams in
the NFL. The Panthers, Brys Young gets knocked out, Andy
dawns in for him, so they can't move the ball now.

Speaker 2 (02:00:11):
Because you have backups.

Speaker 3 (02:00:13):
Just Goodalore statn wanted to throw out earlier today before
we started the show, too. I found last night. You
guys know how many backups have had to start for
NFL teams?

Speaker 2 (02:00:21):
Here is this number?

Speaker 3 (02:00:22):
How many nine wow nine backup quarterbacks the most all
time in an NFL season over the last forty six years.
Just if anybody wants to know, the team that's had
the most starting quarterbacks in one season happened twice. Five
starting quarterbacks for the eighty seven Pats in the twenty

(02:00:43):
three Browns five and five starting quarterbacks in one season.
Also too, by the way, two teams have had to
start three quarterbacks. They should like this has been just
a revolving door of QB And what happened all these
rules to protect the quarterback you know, and don't touch
him and you know, everything to protect quarterbacks and the quarterbacks.

(02:01:05):
Natty high Rod Taylor, who could so call lead this
team on the day winning drive, just did what through
an interception the j C horn or twenty eight left
thirteen sixty might.

Speaker 2 (02:01:14):
Trying to build him up for second there all right,
looks like the Jets are indeed heading to their seventh
straight loss. Much more coming up. This is End Zone
Radio Hi rolling along here as we are well into
this Sunday Week seven of the National Football League End
Zone Radio when the Fox Sports Radio studios, So the

(02:01:36):
Vikings got a field goal, they got stalled on four down.
It was a two score game anyway, So the Eagles
now lead twenty eight to twenty two. We got a
minute forty five in the game. As I mentioned, Jalen
Hurts in this game has a perfect passer rating of
one fifty eight point three. He is eighteen to twenty one,
two hundred eighty three yard, two hundred and eighty one yards,

(02:01:59):
three touchdowns and no picks. But right now, the Vikings
have two timeouts remaining, and they tried a non sidekick
obviously not successful. So the Eagles trying to run it
out and they are throwing the ball and that is
a catch. Wow, and look who it is. Aj Brown.

Speaker 3 (02:02:20):
Listen, just if you want to shut him up, by
the way, that didn't hurt his path, just throwing the football.
If you want to shut him up, just throwing the football.
And that puts my man over three hundred yards passing today.
It's so funny, Steve Oh.

Speaker 2 (02:02:34):
By the way, in this game, Aj Brown is having
a big game, huge game, but not like Devonte Smith.
DeVante Smith nine catches, one hundred and eighty three yards
and a touchdown. And let's see if we get an
update here on the AJ Brown stats. By the way,

(02:02:57):
Jalen hurts in this game.

Speaker 3 (02:02:58):
My oh my, look up those AJ Brown's stats. I
just I just want to make this point. It's just funny.
How And I don't know if you saw me tweeted this.
I should have texted to you when Buffalo lost, I said,
just make sure that the ceiling is falling in Buffalo
as we have it falling in Philadelphia. Just make sure
the ceiling's falling the same way and the sky's falling.

(02:03:20):
And AJ Brown four catches, one twenty one two touches. Yeah,
and he still looks like he's unhappy, like he's still
because he's.

Speaker 2 (02:03:26):
Looking at Devonte Smith nummers like why aren't those minds
and guess what? And it is just what it is.

Speaker 3 (02:03:31):
But you know what they're about to do today. They're
about to go on the road, They're about to get
a win. They're gonna go to five and two, and
trust me, it'll be it'll be a whole bunch of
tomorrow mornings of the what if sinding. This is like
Jalen Hurts is a guy that just I'm I'm I'm
under the impression. I'm on I'm subscribing to. No matter
what this man does, we are going to nick pickt

(02:03:53):
try to find something that he's the eighty percent we love,
but we just feel like we need.

Speaker 2 (02:03:58):
This other twenty from somewhere else.

Speaker 3 (02:04:00):
And he's just gonna keep coming out and giving you
the eighty and eighty has only gotten you to two
super Bowls and got your super Bowl championship, and he's
gonna get the five and two. And then we got
the Commanders and the Cowboys later today and we'll see
how that turns out.

Speaker 2 (02:04:12):
They can just put a.

Speaker 3 (02:04:13):
Stranglehold back on this back on this division against Steve.
But it's just funny to me, man, how we just
move week the week. And if Josh Allen has this
performance today, oh my god. If Patrick Mahomes would have
had this performance today, oh my god. But Jalen Hurts
has it, and I'm pretty sure I can't wait to see. Well, yeah,
in Minnesota didn't do it this, So listen, man.

Speaker 2 (02:04:33):
Nineteen of twenty three, three hundred and twenty six yards,
three touchdowns, no picks. This only happens folks once or
twice during an entire NFL season where a quarterback will
post a perfect passer rating one fifty eight point hundred yards,
and I so Jalen Hurts has done it for the

(02:04:53):
first time in his career. By the way, if there's
anyone that should be complaining right now at Saquon Barkley
on this last series to make his numbers even worse,
as they're just running out the clock, they're handing it
to Barkley. Eighteen carries forty four yards. That's two point
four yards of carry. He's all right? Or a guy
that was a two thousand yard rusher a year ago.

(02:05:16):
He has been the worst running back in the league
in terms of yards per carry in twenty twenty five.
You think he gave bottom last, Well, apparently he doesn't
care because he's not complaining about it winning. So week
after weeks Saquon Barkley putting up no numbers. I know
people that have them on their fantasy football team. Bye.

(02:05:37):
By the way, can I get manci on Mike for
just a second here, I'm just curious in your five leagues,
what was where was the average drafting of Saquon Barkley
after last season. Was he like a first round pick?
He was absolutely a first round pick, five pick, top
five picks. Yeah.

Speaker 9 (02:05:53):
I mean I messed up in one of my leagues
and I forgot even though I knew it was coming,
and so I it auto drafted me with the seventh pick,
and I got Saquon Barkley, right, So he.

Speaker 3 (02:06:03):
Was like a first round pick on any fantasy Yeah, him,
Bjon and Derrick Henry. I mean, I saw those guys flying,
and he has been draft boards and in the fantasy
least that I was in.

Speaker 2 (02:06:12):
And obviously it's not all his fault, but I mean,
statistically he's been a disaster.

Speaker 3 (02:06:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:06:17):
No, don't remind me he's he's. But here's the thing, though,
he's last year.

Speaker 3 (02:06:21):
Listen to what you're saying after two thousand yards last
year that that's a lot of work.

Speaker 2 (02:06:26):
Yes, it is.

Speaker 3 (02:06:27):
And there's a knee. There's there's a quiet, light nagging
issue in the knee. Right now, that's just not a
big deal because it's not keeping them out of games.
It's not even enough for him to be missing or
be limited in practice. I go through and look at
the injury reports every Friday just to see exactly who's out,
who's not. In the importance of that person being out.
I think what he's doing now is they're they're they're

(02:06:48):
kind of sandbagging them a little bit. You know you're
gonna need them late in the year when it gets
colder and you're gonna have to run more and you
don't have the line in front of him right now
that you that you wish you had there. I'm still
love of the subscript of, Hey, you still got to
run the damn ball. Just because you got lineing out
doesn't mean you don't run the ball. You still have
to have the threat of running the ball. So I
think he's going to be fine. I've been saying for

(02:07:11):
the last two weeks, the Eagles are fine. We did
this last year. If you guys remember the Eagles were
two and two and this sky was falling in Philadelphia
and all they did was just streamed together a great
second half of the year and go win the whole
damn thing.

Speaker 2 (02:07:24):
So let's just let this thing play out with the Eagles.
They still have the same guys. Guys, get back. They
haven't lost the line for the year. Guys, get back.
Things turn very fast eve in this league, as we're
seeing all right. Bears won today. They beat the Saints
twenty six to fourteen. They moved a four and two
on the season. Now, remember they got off to a
kick start last season and then the wheels fell off

(02:07:45):
after Jayson Daniels on that Hail Mary play, and the
Bears were never the same by the way. Caleb Williams
very pedestrian day today, fifteen or twenty six, hundred and
seventy two yards, no touchdowns on a pick. DeAndre Swift
though nineteen carries one hundred and twenty four yards and
a score. In fact, the Bears had two hundred and
twenty two yards rushing today against that Saint Sea.

Speaker 3 (02:08:07):
Another player I still believe, and I've heard people write
him off, these Georgia running backs. Man, sometimes you just
got to get in the right system or get behind
the right line. I think Ben Johnson is going to
be just fine.

Speaker 2 (02:08:17):
I really do.

Speaker 3 (02:08:18):
I think he's going to be just fine because you
know who your franchise quarterback is like.

Speaker 2 (02:08:22):
There is no questions about him. Now.

Speaker 3 (02:08:24):
Doesn't mean everybody likes him as much as other people do.
I'm one of them, but I just feel like what
he has there his coming from Detroit, coming from the system,
coming from that toughness that he probably didn't have before
Dan Campbell and him got linked up.

Speaker 2 (02:08:38):
I think he's carried it there with the Bears. Listen,
four and two is four and two. Well is absolutely
another team now though it has a winning record, are
the Carolina Panthers. They have closed out the winless Jets
thirteen to six. Again, didn't do a whole lot in
this game. Didn't have to because the Jets simply don't
have any offense. The big story of this game, justin
Fields was finally benched for uh to Rod don't call

(02:09:02):
me Tyrod Taylor. So we'll see where the Jets go
next on this one. I mean, the Jets have a
real possibility here of running the table. They could absolutely.
I mean again the Jets defense is is the keeping
him in games? Yeah, I mean they are in Dallas,
they're keeping him in games. But what what is the
future that Jets quarterback Matt you know? Now, I mean

(02:09:22):
the Jets go like two and fifteen this year or
something like that, people are gonna look back like, wow,
Aaron Rodgers actually was pretty good. Yeah, I mean, like,
I mean, how did he actually put up the numbers
he put up in twenty twenty five and five and
twelve last year six and six and eleven something like that.
So if they go, oh, yeah, I guess, I guess.

(02:09:43):
Technically yeah, I could say, hey, he was on Aaron
Rod had twenty eight touchdowns and eleven picks. He won
six more games last year, did you guys? Won you?

Speaker 3 (02:09:53):
You could see that this afternoon lineup is is going
to be ballistic. I can't wait for these games to start.
I will say this though, Man.

Speaker 2 (02:10:00):
The Chargers wearing these all Just for the record, it
was five and twelve.

Speaker 3 (02:10:04):
Five and twelve, all right, five and twelve. Now I
have the coach to cover because I just, I just
I really do like this team.

Speaker 2 (02:10:10):
Do you like the Coast? Yeah? I like the coach
to cover today. Man, I got that second. I got
it at two and a half.

Speaker 3 (02:10:16):
I understand that. But they have the fourth rush. They
have the fourth offense and the sixth rushing offense in
the league. The Chargers. Look, I'm not out on them,
so don't think I'm doing that, but they they are
banged up. They the Chargers are banged up, and there's
a they just took a time out because another defender, however,
is expected back. Yes, he's expected back today.

Speaker 2 (02:10:34):
That's gonna help that defense a big time because they
haven't been putting pressure on quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (02:10:38):
He's also long in the tooth, and I love Khalil.
He's always very cordial, opening Hall of Famer. When we
times I covered the game and talk to him, he's
always cool man. So I'm not trying to diss the brother.
But when I am saying though, he's he is long
in the tooth and Father Time is undefeated unless you're
cheating and doing something down to stress to prolong your career.

Speaker 2 (02:10:55):
All right, do we have the guys? Can we get
up the Colts Chargers game right now? Do we have
it up? They just went to commercial. Oh okay, it's up.
Daniel Jones already three for three, forty eight yards out
of the box and they are moving against this Chargers defense. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:11:10):
Another thing too about the Panthers. Panthers four and three,
they could get to the playoffs. Steven I both thought
that they had a shot. I got him in as
the last team in the NFC this year. I just
believe in Bryce. But this ankle injury, I do want
to hear more about him. Wait to get a report
on that, because we know how ankle injuries are. Those
high ankle sprains. I hate to say they say, you
might as well have just broken your ankle if you
have a high ankle spring, because sometimes a high angle

(02:11:31):
spring could be six to eight weeks and that's the
time of a broken ankle. So it's almost better to
just break the bad boy than they had that high
ankle sprain. So we'll see what's up with b Wan
brych Shaw. But a big shout out to the Panthers
going to four and three today, all.

Speaker 2 (02:11:42):
Right, Jackson Dart and Cam Scataboo on their opening drive
they end up hunting.

Speaker 3 (02:11:50):
That's also a commercial too, So yes, games, we're off
and running. Man, come, it's commanders, cowboys. Let's get into it.

Speaker 2 (02:11:56):
We haven't really thrown it around that night. On the
other side, we'll get into and yes we'll have that matchup.
Other matchups as always cool for me. Wow oh wow.
We have had some interesting games already around the league.
And the question is are we gonna see another NFL
coaching firing this week? Is it possible? It's possible, question

(02:12:16):
is will it actually happen? We'll break it down for you.
This is end Zone radio.

Speaker 14 (02:12:20):
Back in the line of scrimmage, and Jonathan Taylor took
a handoff right side from Daniel Jones and skippers into
the end zone from twenty three yards out. Great blocking
up front by the Colts offensive line on a handoff
that Jonathan Taylor produces twenty three yards and six points
on the scoreboard.

Speaker 2 (02:12:37):
That's the Golds for Radio Network extra point whift. But
the goals get off to the early six to nothing
lead on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers. This
is end Zone Radio. We're in the Fox Sports Radio studios.
By the way, the Chargers are wearing the worst looking
uniforms I have ever seen in the history of the

(02:13:01):
National floks like French's mustard.

Speaker 3 (02:13:04):
It just it's just this all gold thing that Why
would they that gold well yellowish gold mustard. I don't know, man,
it just looks bad. Where where's the powder blue? Like
that's the joint so one.

Speaker 2 (02:13:18):
Blue? Am I right? Guys? I mean, are those the
worst looking uniforms you've ever seen? It's gotta throw you off.
I don't, I don't, I mean, I know it's the
same players in these uniforms by the way the Chargers
had another offensive wineman go down with an injury like
they needed that. Also too with uniforms.

Speaker 3 (02:13:35):
Now, you remember the years guys they were doing, like
the nineteen forty Yeah, the ones the Packers in the Jets.

Speaker 15 (02:13:43):
Those things were hittie. Those things were just Steelers. Those
are the Remember the New York Titans zone were cool. Yeah,
but these I think they era Broncos. I think those
are some of the most boring jerseys of all time.

Speaker 1 (02:13:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:13:57):
Oh no, if you're gonna wear it, if you're gonna
do a Broncos jersey, if you're gonna go buy one.

Speaker 2 (02:14:01):
You go back to the Orange Rush.

Speaker 3 (02:14:02):
You go back to the Orange Tom Jackson and those guys,
John Elway, you go back to the Orange Crush.

Speaker 2 (02:14:07):
You go back to those jerseys. Well, the Colts know
their secondary is not good and the Chargers are testing
right now. And I think they got the Colts on
a pass interference. Hey. By the way, if you have noticed,
during the baseball postseason, Strauss made history as the first
brand ever on the Helmets family owned since nineteen forty eight,

(02:14:28):
Strauss makes work where built to perform smart pocket design,
real comfort and durability, you can trust from grit to glory.
Gear up today at strauss dot com. That's S t
R A U S S dot com and Game six.
So the ALCS is tonight in Toronto. The Mariners up
three games to two. Remember they opened the series with

(02:14:49):
two wins on the road against the Blue Jays and
then gave it right back with two losses at home.
They did finally prevail, finally a home team won Game five.
But now they go back Toronto. What's your gut on tonight?
Are we gonna have the Mariners crown for the first
time ever as league champions? Or are we gonna go

(02:15:09):
to a game seven? Games? See at me and Bingo
game that wow? Games gom gom you think so?

Speaker 9 (02:15:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:15:20):
Okay, if we get to game seven, then who wins it?

Speaker 3 (02:15:24):
I still I still, I'm still just gonna go see.
I don't just think they've been a team at Destiny
all year long. They got the bats to do it,
and then Toronto's got some bats too. But I would
just love to see in all West coast. That was
my predictions. So I'm gonna stick with my prediction.

Speaker 2 (02:15:36):
When, by the way, according to the oddsmakers, it doesn't
matter who wins this American League Championship Series, or they
are overwhelming favorites against the Dodgers, underdogs against I was about.

Speaker 3 (02:15:48):
To say, as they should be, because the Dodgers are
gonna go win the World Series by sweep or five games.
It's not going The Dodgers won't play no more than
five games for the rest of the season. Yeah, they
won't play no more than five games. These other two
teams games, you have no shot the Dodgers that we
always talked about, the Doyers, the home team here in LA.
We just have the Uh, they just have the they
have the roster, they have the experience, they have the veterans, they.

Speaker 2 (02:16:12):
You know, what's baseball right now? They were basically over
a one hundred game span below five hundred. Who cares though,
because in baseball this was about the parson by the mate.

Speaker 3 (02:16:23):
The one thing I do love about baseball and these
veteran type teams is that you you really say a
lot of foolish things in the regular season about the
Remember in July the sky was falling, this team's not
even gonna win.

Speaker 2 (02:16:34):
And how about the Padres man, what the padres stopped?
Stop doing this?

Speaker 3 (02:16:38):
Like the Padres and the Buffalo Bills at the end
of of Major League Baseball every year. For the last
five six years, I've been hearing about the Padres. But
I live here with this team, with the Dodgers, like
I see this up close and personal. You get a
chance to cover a few games, you get in the
locker room in the clubhouse, and you get around some
of these guys, You're like, Wow, this chemistry, this energy
just feels even when they're you know, on an eight
game loser streak or nine.

Speaker 2 (02:16:58):
Eight, the sky's not falling because, guests, what we've done
this before. We've been here.

Speaker 3 (02:17:02):
It's like being married thirty years, right, and now you've
been in a year thirty Somebody from the outside my
look and go, man, I would leave my wife for that.
You look at them and go, man, I've been dealing
with I've been dealing with this for twenty one of
these thirty years. Brother, just ain't nothing like I've been.
Where you water it where you water it ain't never
on the other side. But with the Dodges, it doesn't matter.
But tonight's game, give me a I need Toronto for

(02:17:24):
this to go to seven, right, So Toronto, Yeah, give
me Toronto night the.

Speaker 2 (02:17:27):
First game seven Commanders Cowboys. This game is about to
kick off any minute, and uh, big game for both
of these teams. Cowboys coming at two three and one,
Commanders are three and three. You know I again, before
the season, I thought the Cowboys could sneak into the postseason.

(02:17:48):
I thought the Commanders would take a step back, which
they predictably have. Of course, they had jayde and Daniels
out for a couple of weeks. But I'm sitting here
on the Cowboys right now, like, is this gonna happen?
Is this gonna happen? Dak Prescott is putting up some
pretty good numbers for the Cowboys right now. And I
said this when they made the Micah Parsons trade. The

(02:18:12):
comeback of Dak Prescott is going to have a far
greater effect on the Cowboys than the loss of MICHAEH. Parsons.
Right Getting your quarterback back, especially a guy that's two
years removed from being runner rough for MVP, is going
to have a far greater impact on what kind of
season you're going to have than losing Michael Parsons.

Speaker 3 (02:18:30):
And I love Michael Man, but I watched these Packer
games and I don't hear his name. Sometimes he listens.

Speaker 2 (02:18:36):
He leaves the league in pressure. This is a lead status, right,
I'll let you take that again. I have seen like
you know, pro football focus. Right, So this this it's
not an official stat. Let me make it clear. And
so you see these pressure stats, and they're all over
the board. I'm like, there's one one guy will say, well,
this guy's had twenty quarterback pressures, and another outlet will

(02:18:59):
say he's had nine. Okay, I don't even know that
what that means. What is a quarterback pressure? Right? What
what measures whether you pressure? I mean if a quarterbacks
in the pocket and he's getting pressure from different people
from all sides and he moves one step one way
or the other to move, is that a pressure or
was he just smart enough to step to the side.

(02:19:21):
Apparently Micah Parsons leads the league pressure. That's a fake stat. Okay,
that's a zero stat. That's almost like win rate.

Speaker 3 (02:19:29):
But I do like win rate because there is a
you can just put that measurable, right, right, that's a
measurable like, no, he beat him on that play, he
won that block, or.

Speaker 2 (02:19:37):
He was everybody get a pressure, you know stat if
that's right, what if another defenders like near you too,
like who gets who gets the prescious stat I mean,
if you got the two edge guys coming at you
and then you have to step up in the pockets
to you know, get away from the pressure. Do they
both get out of here? You're right?

Speaker 3 (02:19:57):
I mean how much of an impact is Micah Parsons? Yeah,
he kind of disappears in these Packer games. And we're
watching this Packers and Cards. We got up right now,
so to this game just kicked off. So what you
gun on the Commanders Cowboys? I took the Cowboys. There's
only point in a half when I found it. I
like the over check this out though this over under.
There were a few big ones. This one was fifty
three and a half. That Buccaneers and Lions is fifty

(02:20:19):
two and a half, So Vegas things. Both these teams
is getting into the twenties or someone is blowing the
doors off their opponent today. I think the Commanders could
be in trouble. This kid Dak's at home. Dallas is
ten and three against the spread versus Washington. Their last
thirteen Washington against them also to thirteen and four, just
straight up like they own this Commander's team. Dak has

(02:20:40):
been great. No CD again today. I'm not sure if
he was a scratcher or be out today. I know
there's no digs on the defensive end of of the
ball in there islam So Lamb did go today. I
know he's gonna be a game time decisions. Missed a
few games, so you get your big horseback at the
receiver position. I mean, I just I've said this about Dak.
When he's healthy, all he does is throw for almost
thousand yards and win twelve game Like that's all Deach

(02:21:02):
does when he plays the whole season. And I just
I'm gonna put my hat and just put all my
chips in with them. As far as Dallas is concerned,
I think they get this one today. I picked him
the cover, all right.

Speaker 2 (02:21:12):
Charges got a field goal, so they cut the Colts
lead in half, six to three. Colts with the lead
in that game, no score with the Giants and the Broncos.
We got eight and a half minutes to go in
the first quarter. There. Both quarterbacks are struggling in this game.
Jackson Dart two of five for twenty three yards. Bow
knicks one of five nine yards. You know, and again

(02:21:35):
this is not uncommon for quarterbacks who have successful rookie
seasons to get exposed in their second year. They have
to now make the adjustment. Other teams will find your weakness.
They're way too sophisticated. They'll figure it out. There's something
about you that they can figure out. And they have
figured out things about bow Knicks. And so he's been

(02:21:57):
wildly inconsistent this year. And that's not like the Giants
have some you know, juggernaut defense, but early on they
have gotten bow Knicks off the mark just one of
five nine yards.

Speaker 3 (02:22:06):
Could I argue that if and it's just year two,
right and uh both, if you can hear me, man,
throw your headphones over this, because you you made a
really cool, sarcastic little joke about Sean Payton.

Speaker 2 (02:22:19):
Sarcast I'm coming out of the right nowhere. I never
heard that. I say, I don't even know what the
guy is anymore. But but.

Speaker 3 (02:22:28):
That's like Stewie what anyway, But could I argue that
if this just doesn't work out, let's say we get
the year three, year four, and he's got to move
on because bow Nicks is not the guy.

Speaker 2 (02:22:39):
Could I argue that maybe it was more Drew Brees over.

Speaker 3 (02:22:43):
Sean Payton, and Sean Payton might have just been the
beneficiary of the Dolphins being stupid. Steve Ross, your first
big decisions are you hating on and not? Because I
just I'm not hating on him. Just don't think he's
the coach everybody.

Speaker 13 (02:22:58):
You know, what would happen is if bon isn't the guy,
Sean Payton would go back to the lab and invent
a new formula that says, whoever the guy he picks
after Bonicks is actually the real guy that he needs
a quarterback. That's why I wanted see, it's never Sean
Payton's fault. Nothing is ever shank Hey, you.

Speaker 3 (02:23:12):
Big okay, See, and you guys know I'm an accountability guy.
Like if you screw up with you, it's okay to
say sorry, it's okay to admit you got it wrong,
it's okay to mean you did something. But people who
it's never their fault, I want him, I want him.

Speaker 2 (02:23:28):
Out of mind. I want you to see right there,
and that's why you suck up to him on there
because you got a little golf by the way. By
the way, that was the year he got suspended for
the full year.

Speaker 3 (02:23:40):
That was that suspend Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (02:23:45):
Jerome Williams javont DeVante Williams with a score. Remember you're
talking about the Cowboys. Could they get any running game
going this year? Javonte Williams. It's not been consistent, but they.

Speaker 3 (02:23:56):
Had a thousand running back last year. We had no
we had we had no idea who to hell he
was still so they've been able to run the football.

Speaker 2 (02:24:03):
We've just missed out on it. How did we not
know that? I don't reco I was like, oh, who
is Dondell who? I'm like, who? I just said? Is
he new? And they're like, dude, he had a thousand
plus for the Cowboys yards? Had Russia not named Zeke Elliott?
What over a thousand yards last year? VJ.

Speaker 13 (02:24:26):
Going kind of back to what you said that I've
argued for a couple of years now that I think
Sean Payton is the most overrated the NFL.

Speaker 2 (02:24:36):
That's why he brought him in the conversation.

Speaker 13 (02:24:38):
He's done less with more than anyone else. He has
one ring with Drew Brees, did take it Joe like
he's and everything else he's done is embarrassing. He had
bounty Gate. He did the choke sign at the Vikings
fans before the Saints lost that game.

Speaker 2 (02:24:57):
I just think he's hold on, not accomplished. Let me
repeat this, Let me repeat this. He won a super
Bowl coaching the New Orleans Saints. I'm just gonna repeat that.
He won a super Bowl coaching the New Orleans That's.

Speaker 3 (02:25:14):
Why Bowa and I are seeing as haters because we
can say because because if Dan Campbell somehow wins the
Super Bowl with the detroit Like people, I know it doesn't.

Speaker 2 (02:25:27):
I know it will, And you guys know I love Dan.
I'm not knocking. I'm just saying.

Speaker 3 (02:25:30):
Is that how we're kind of treating Sean Payton is
because he won that ring with the New Orleans Saints
but also took Peyton Manner to throw a pick six
to Porter on the game winning drive.

Speaker 2 (02:25:42):
Even you know, I only.

Speaker 13 (02:25:44):
Said he was overrated. He won a super Bowl in
New Orleans. That's awesome, but he also won. How many
times are the Saints like one of the top seeds
in the NFC and they went one and done?

Speaker 9 (02:25:54):
Right?

Speaker 13 (02:25:54):
If I remembering right? Were they not the recipient of
Marshawn Lynch running.

Speaker 2 (02:25:58):
All over them? Like that. Remember that. Also, remember the
fact they had to play on the road in that game,
despite the fact that the seven.

Speaker 3 (02:26:06):
And but you still yeah, but you still should have
won that game though that team wasn't better than you.

Speaker 2 (02:26:10):
You let one running back. Let's get you let one
running back. I hope they on a Sunday. I hope that.

Speaker 13 (02:26:17):
I hope they awake and less high.

Speaker 2 (02:26:19):
No score right now between the Giants and the Sean
Payton lead Broncos. Let's find out what is trending right
now as we welcome back MONSI monc. You are a
die hard Chargers fan. What do you make of these
uniforms today?

Speaker 1 (02:26:31):
You know?

Speaker 10 (02:26:32):
I like them.

Speaker 9 (02:26:32):
I actually have a sweater, but it's it's very warm,
so I didn't wear it today.

Speaker 10 (02:26:36):
Like a yellow sweater with.

Speaker 2 (02:26:40):
No color, like it's a gold.

Speaker 10 (02:26:44):
It's a gold because it's not yellow.

Speaker 2 (02:26:46):
It's sunflower, Okay, I like that. I like that, or
corn because the corner sunflowers.

Speaker 10 (02:26:53):
I feel like it's it's not yellow, but there's like
a golden to it.

Speaker 2 (02:27:00):
That's old, shiny gold. It's it's well, they're trying to
match the color of the bolt.

Speaker 10 (02:27:06):
But it's not it's not it's not, but I like it.

Speaker 2 (02:27:09):
I like it with Sunflower. I think I got it closer.
I like it. I think I'm I think I'm gold.

Speaker 8 (02:27:14):
I do like it.

Speaker 10 (02:27:15):
I'm not saying I want this every day, but I
do like it.

Speaker 13 (02:27:17):
If it's the Lakers, no stop yellow Lakers, that makes
would that makes the baby blue the new forum. By
the way, my forum.

Speaker 2 (02:27:29):
My son Garrett, who's a die hard Chargers fan, true
Jarks are pant He hates the powder Blues. He likes
the dark. The dark.

Speaker 10 (02:27:37):
I actually do like the dark.

Speaker 2 (02:27:39):
When they went to their one Super Bowl dark Carolina.
The ones are the greatest NFL jersey ever made it.
And I love aqua.

Speaker 3 (02:27:47):
I love my dog with aqua, but that power that
Carolina blue the Charges Rob I love it, but.

Speaker 2 (02:27:54):
He hates it.

Speaker 9 (02:27:54):
My favorite uniform in football is the Chicago Bears dark
blue with orange.

Speaker 2 (02:27:59):
That's really house so like.

Speaker 10 (02:28:01):
I like the Chargers Stark blue Tuo. I love the
char I do like the name. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 9 (02:28:09):
The Giants are in the end zone. Jackson Dart with
his first touchdown pass of the day. The Giants up
on the Broncos seven zero halfway through the first quarter.
Colts with the sixty three lead over the Chargers. You
guys talked about Indianapolis missed the extra point after Jonathan
Taylor rushed for a touchdown. Also late in the first
quarter of that one, Cowboys Javonte Williams in the end zone.
So they're up on the Commanders at home seven zero,

(02:28:32):
so early in the first There Also early in the
first between the Packers and the Cardinals, they are scoreless.
Jacoby Brissett in our quarterback four Arizona. Kyler Murray is
still out, but they are in the red zone looking
to score.

Speaker 10 (02:28:43):
That's Arizona. What wrapped up already today in football.

Speaker 9 (02:28:46):
It started in London and the Rams crushed the Jaguars
thirty five to seven. The Chiefs improved to four and
three after shutting out the Raiders thirty one zero. Patrick
Mahomes threw for two hundred and eighty six yards and
three touchdowns, two of them went to Rashi Rice improved
to five and two after defeating the Vikings twenty eight
to twenty two.

Speaker 10 (02:29:03):
Jalen Hurts with a perfect passer rating.

Speaker 9 (02:29:06):
He ended nineteen of twenty three three hundred and twenty
six yards and three touchdowns, also former Eagle Brandon Graham
is now really thinking about coming out of retirement.

Speaker 2 (02:29:15):
You guys.

Speaker 10 (02:29:15):
Yeah, well, coming out of retirement and signing with the Eagles.

Speaker 9 (02:29:20):
The Patriots also now five and two after outscoring the
Titans thirty one to thirteen. Drake May only miss two
throws today. He was twenty one of twenty three, two
hundred and twenty two yards and two touchdowns. That's three
straight road wins for New England. The Bears have won
four in a row after defeating the Saints twenty six
to fourteen. Chicago had three interceptions in this game, bringing
their season total to eleven. The Browns crushed the Dolphins

(02:29:42):
thirty one to six. Quinshaw Judkins had twenty five carries,
eighty four yards and three touchdowns. Panthers held on thirteen
to six against the Jets. New York is still looking
for their first win of the season and the NBA
Kevin Durant has agreed to a two year, ninety million
dollar contract extension. And don't forget that it's Game six
of the ALCS that starts at eight Eastern from Toronto,

(02:30:02):
as the Blue Jays will be hosting the Mariners, who
lead the series three to two and you can catch
all the action on FS one.

Speaker 10 (02:30:08):
And lastly, Florida has fired head coach Billy Napier after
a three and four start to the season.

Speaker 2 (02:30:14):
Banks to you guys, all right, thank you very much,
mon some great stuff. Yes always. By the way, Michael
Parsons just got a sack to stall Arizona's drive, so
the Cardinals settle for a field goal for early three
and nothing later over.

Speaker 3 (02:30:27):
The hard the sac Jacoby Brissett demand, can't move nowhere. Ah,
my man, BG though a fellow, you know that's my
Michigan man right there. I don't think it's the money thing.
I think guys guys retire and just they don't have
a plan. They don't they don't have a plan.

Speaker 2 (02:30:43):
But they also have this the percentage of NFL players,
I hate this stat, but it's it's a fact. I
know where you're going. Seventy seventy five percent within two
years of their last game or either flat out broke
or they file for bankruptc. Yeah, yeah, because it could
be that, but I mean I hope it's not that.

Speaker 3 (02:31:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:31:00):
I mean, I just does happen. He does, got wife
and kids.

Speaker 3 (02:31:02):
I've met him, talk to him a few times covering
the NFL, like he's a great guy. But I just
think he's at the Michigan game just the past week.

Speaker 2 (02:31:08):
He just played fifteen years. That's enough. You do not
need to get back on it.

Speaker 3 (02:31:11):
And he had that injury which out here against the
Rams where he tore the biceps started triceps last year.

Speaker 2 (02:31:17):
Yeah, yeah, make it work. Do something else with your life.
You got a long life ahead of you. People always
forget about these athletes, right, It's like long life ahead
of you hopefully. By the way, we're on the Fox
Sports Radio studios. Don't forget after the show. The podcast

(02:31:38):

Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts. You'll see
today's show posted right after we get off the air.
By the way, the Giant seven to nothing lead Daniel
Bellinger on the receiving end. I got to know this
kid when he was at San Diego State and he
caught a touchdown pass from Jackson Dart. If the Giants

(02:32:01):
were to win this game on the road against the
Denver Broncos. Giants zero and three on the road. Broncos
are two and zero at home. But if the Giants
were to get a road win, how does the star
power go for a guy like Jackson Dart? I mean,
is he Is he gonna quickly become like the guy
in the city of New York? Nah? Not yet.

Speaker 3 (02:32:23):
Basketball is about to start, and Jalen Brunson just had
twenty seven in the preseason game the other night.

Speaker 2 (02:32:27):
That basketball is about to start.

Speaker 3 (02:32:29):
The eyes in New York right now, they're definitely not
on the Green and White team, and it's still another
five hundred team, and they still got a lot of
football to go to even get in here, to get
the three and four and get on the plane to
get out of behind and get back to Gotham City.
So I will say this, though it does change, I
tell you whose job it does prolong. Brian Dables, I
was gonna say, and I both had him first coach fired.

(02:32:49):
Tennessee's already done away with their guys, So we're off
on that bet. We've already we both already lost that
perfect pick. First coach fire.

Speaker 2 (02:32:55):
But I do think it prolongs his job.

Speaker 3 (02:32:58):
I tell you that because once again I always say,
if you're going to fire guy, fine you just have
to tell me what you got your eyes on. You
can't just say you're blindly firing the.

Speaker 2 (02:33:06):
Guy, like that's the easy part is firing somebody.

Speaker 3 (02:33:09):
Penn State, right, they fired James Franklin, and then the
Rule and then it starts to pour out to where
Matt Rule has to sit up at this press conference.

Speaker 2 (02:33:16):
And he didn't.

Speaker 3 (02:33:18):
He didn't like adamantly say listen, I'm here, I'm committed.
He said, hey, listen, I love being here.

Speaker 2 (02:33:24):
I like what you know. He kept it really light,
but we know where he's going. Guys. Well, in this
day and age of the transfer portal, I mean we're
recruiting three d and sixty five days a year. If
you even have a hint about a coach not being there,
that just shuts down your recruiting, right, you can't do it.
I mean it's it's not like it used to be.
I mean, recruiting is all the year round on the

(02:33:46):
collegiate levels. You get ready to lose players game players
through the transfer portal. So yeah, it's gonna put a
lot of coaches in an uncomfortable position. One thing we
definitely agree upon at any level any sport, firing a
man or a coach in mid season serves no purpose.
Just wait till the season ends, make a change, and

(02:34:06):
that's it. We got a safety. I got a safety
right now, so the commander's I get a safety. Was close,
but it looks like, here's my thing. I like the rule.
I hate this.

Speaker 3 (02:34:19):
All you have to do is get the ball to
the part because I hate that in football that all
you have to do is get the ball to the
goal line. It's a touchdown. The ball shit cross over
the goal line for it to be a touchdown, shouldn't
be the line. So I feel the same way in safety.
And I think this was going to stand. But that
was so close that the guy kind of gets out
of the end zone.

Speaker 2 (02:34:39):
We didn't see a good angle on that one. Again,
and you see this with a touchdown where they reach
across and it breaks the plane. Well, you're right. I mean,
if he can break the plane with the ball going in,
why can't I break the plane coming out to at
least get the ball. But right now there is it's
on the board. So the Cowboys lead has cut to

(02:35:00):
seven to two right now, and the Cowboys will have
a free kick. All right, we continue on as we
got four games going on right now round the NFL,
plus we'll preview the games later on. This is end
Zone Radio.

Speaker 7 (02:35:13):
Good cut.

Speaker 2 (02:35:15):
Now here we goes winding out, goings down, touchdown bowing show.

Speaker 7 (02:35:22):
Polly Smokes he was wide open forty four yard touchdown.

Speaker 2 (02:35:26):
Strike at CBS TV. There Giants with the early seven
nothing lead. Really one big play is it? Jackson Darchs
four of eleven passing this game. But the Giants get
the early score, take a seven to nothing lead over
the Broncos, cold sleeve the Chargers six to three. They
have a fourth down right now at the Chargers four

(02:35:48):
yard line, fourth and two, and they are gonna go
for it instead of kicking a field goal. So let's
see what they do here on fourth and two. They're
gonna hand the ball off nose A little playoffs I
can't touchdown well designed. Shane Stichen is a heck of
a coach. I can tell you that, I knowing from
his days, is in the system with the Chargers. That
was a well run play. So the h Coats now

(02:36:10):
lead twelve to three. Do you go for the two
point conversion here to make it fourteen to three. You
know that, well, hate that, but why would they do that?
You talk about play call right here? But just look
at this.

Speaker 3 (02:36:20):
This is what I can't stand. Why we're seeing this
a lot too? And I know people listen and can't see.
But you when I describe this, you'll you'll you're gonna
feel me. I've seen so many fourth down plays this
year where guys leak out to the flat, wide open.
It is happening at an alarming rate for football. I
like mine that rewatches games over and over. Guys, you

(02:36:40):
know what I'll be doing for the next twenty four hours.
I'll be texting this Hall of famerite time my left. Hey, man,
I just went back and rewatched the such and so
I have the package, so everything dv are everything records,
everything is already said. But I go back and I go,
why am I seeing so many open people in the
flats on fourth and one, fourth and two at critical
points and again, you would think that you got a
lot or a walk down nickelback rover, whatever you want

(02:37:02):
to call it, that position to check the flats, take
the out, take the flat away, force everything inside, and
once again in that play, if you notice Daniel Jones
and Jonathan Taylor bump into each other, it wasn't even
a clean fake, and Pittman's still got into the flat
wide open, and they weren't a guy within ten yards
of him. It's just I'm sorry for a coach man,

(02:37:24):
it a frustrates me to see this on the professional level.

Speaker 2 (02:37:28):
We had two teams simultaneously with that situation of do
we go for two or not. The Colts decided not
to go for two. They kicked the extra point. They
lead thirteen to three. The Commanders just scored a touchdown
and they decided to go for two and missed. Why though,
So they're now leading the Cowboys by a score of

(02:37:51):
eight to seven, eight to seven, eight to seven inning?
Is it god? Cardinals lead the Backers still three nothing.
Hey want to thank our cruited Moncy Belanos, of course,
absolutely masterful as she is every single Sunday. We're in
many hats around here.

Speaker 10 (02:38:06):
My pleasure guy is always fun hanging out with that.

Speaker 2 (02:38:08):
No, I'm gonna fun. Do you have any preference between
the Mariners and the Blue Jays? You just want to
open a Dodger stadium on Friday.

Speaker 10 (02:38:14):
Not just that, but I'm rooting for the Mariners.

Speaker 2 (02:38:16):
Yeah, it would be an amazing the only team that
has never been to a World Series. Chris proferred, of course,
the man on the board, the master of the board.
Oh yeah, we appreciate that.

Speaker 8 (02:38:25):
Chris is I, as a neutral observer, would prefer Mariners.
Also because nobody cares about Canada. Nobody gives a damn
about Canada. Canada except for Brett Hart. Don't do that,
Calgary Alberta stand up.

Speaker 2 (02:38:37):
All right, Well, let's let's turn out to our brilliant producer,
Bob Benson. Do you have any preference as a Dodger
diehard of who they face in the World Series.

Speaker 13 (02:38:46):
No, I don't care if they lose. I'm at the
point where if they don't win this World Series, it's
kind of a shocking given how they If they lose.

Speaker 2 (02:38:52):
The World Series, will you fire Dave Roberts. No, okay,
I'm just okay. I thought his quote.

Speaker 13 (02:38:57):
I thought I thought his quote post or post it
was hilarious talking about if they want to say the
Dodgers are ruinning baseball, let's win four more and really
ruined baseball.

Speaker 2 (02:39:05):
Yeah, exactly. Well, the problem for the Dodgers is is
that after this year, they may have one more year
and then baseball is going to get shut down.

Speaker 13 (02:39:12):
That'd be so cool to win three in a row
and then the sport just dies. Yeah, you didn't last happened, because.

Speaker 2 (02:39:19):
I'm telling you right now that players Union will dig
in and they will not crack.

Speaker 3 (02:39:23):
And it's about time for a big time parade in
the city too, like COVID is cleared up. I flew
last week, Guys, I didn't know that.

Speaker 2 (02:39:30):
Last year with the Dodgers, but this year would last year,
guess and guess what and guess what this year would be.

Speaker 10 (02:39:36):
I don't know because.

Speaker 2 (02:39:40):
They had had it. They had had a last year
was twenty It was the thirty six years since they.

Speaker 3 (02:39:47):
Had and whatever and whatever the number was last year.
If they go back to back, things in the world
socially and things that change. And the way I was
referencing is I haven't flown in a while, and I
flew last week.

Speaker 2 (02:40:00):
I didn't know. You didn't have to take your shoes
off anymore, because.

Speaker 3 (02:40:02):
The last time I flew, I had to take my
belt out on my jeans, empty my pockets completely.

Speaker 2 (02:40:07):
Dudes, I was going to take my fitted off. He
was like, now you're straight, bro.

Speaker 10 (02:40:09):
I was like, that was just this year because of
the new id, the new real idea that became.

Speaker 2 (02:40:13):
I got the real life. I got a new idea.
I got that I didn't have to take my shoes off.

Speaker 3 (02:40:16):
Right now, people, people are back out, man, And I
think if we if the Dodgers win, because they're not
playing no more than five more games, guys, listen, I
told you guy, they're gonna walk through Milwaukee, They're walking
through wherever they playing in the World Citas, and they
might sweep them. Like they're only playing five more games
this year, and that parade for back to back is
going to be bigger than it was.

Speaker 2 (02:40:36):
That mark my work, all right. I just don't want
traffic shut down. Shut it downway dreams about the days
prior to nine to eleven when we used to go
to Vegas and we literally would run through an airport
into the plane as they're about to close the doors,
completely obliterated. No more, no stopping. There was no one's

(02:40:57):
slowing it down, No one stops you. Literally we died.

Speaker 3 (02:41:02):
If you don't check your bag in at a certain time,
they don't even let you go to the towner.

Speaker 2 (02:41:06):
Believe your bag's not even checked in at a certain
All right, we got a lot more NFL coverage. Get ready,
Dan Bark, I'm bless everybody. They will take over from
here for VJ. Hartman here. Thanks so much. We'll talk
