(00:26):
Giants at the Cowboys, Bears at the Lions, Rams at
the Titans, Patriots at the Dolphins, forty nine, Ers at
the Saints, Bill's at the Jets, Seahawks at the Steelers,
Browns at the Ravens.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Whoop.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
We are ready to go for Week two here, Vjay.
Another big week around the National Football League. And I
feel like we've only gotten one week under our book,
right and there are so many stories going on right
now around the National Football League. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Yeah, as always, man, what's sell a part of how
you doing? I'm doing great? Always great to be in
my whole cruise in a billion. Week two in the
NFL season here on in Zone Radio on Fox Sports Radio. Listen, man,
I'm still left in week one. I know, we got
Week two today. We got a bunch of games, uh
kicking off, you know, big time games, big time storylines. Today.
(01:13):
Aaron Rodgers is gonna bounce back at home. He's gonna
get his home debut. Lion's got to get back on
the field and get some things done at the Bengals
and Jags. And it's a lot of storylines. But for
some reason, Ron still stuck in week one because we
talked about so many other things than than what we
should have been talking about in the off season. What
he came down to last week was the q B position.
(01:37):
It always is the q B position. And I actually
text Steve was like Thursday night at like one in one, Oh, yes,
well I expected this. Yeah that's bro yo we I texted.
I knew this is gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Your guy, JJ McCart the engineered the miraculous comeback against
the lonely Bears. I know, after three miserable quarters, I
was ready to jump all over you. Why you look,
I know mc arthy. What did I say about MacArthur?
I said this coming out of college. Look, he didn't
put up flashy numbers in college. All I know is
that when this guy needed this step up. He did
(02:10):
and delivered obviously, look at his one lost record of Michigan.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yeah. So it got me to take in the quarterbacks
that I was just really impressed with. You hit me
with a few that I left out and I'm going
to continue to leave out. But I just said, who
who had the most impressive week one? And I wrote
down Lamar. I text you, Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
I mean that was just well, statistically he had the
most impressive weekend.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Well in that game was not his fault. Derek Henry
should have to Derek Henry should have had to fly
on the plane by himself back to Baltimore. Seriously, you
should have been on the plane. And I love I
love King Henry, but bruh, you just can't. You can't
do that and.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Give it the game justin Herbert one of his most
impressive games of a Spags.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Defense that we've been praising that actually helped the Chiefs
get to the Super Bowl. Then there was a Josh Allen.
I told I call him Apple turn over Josh Allen
on a HISA. But listen, man, when when the chips
was on the table and the money was on the line,
Josh Allen did what Josh Allen does. I gets a
very good Baltimore defense, and then I think we kind
of forget about Jalen Hurts performance because it was Thursday
(03:12):
and by the time we got to Sunday college football
had happened. There was some upsets in college football that
took I think a little shine off of what Philly
looked like that we kind of forgot about Philly. We
get a good test with them and Arrowhead today and
then last but not least, Yes, Jay Jay McCarthy man,
those are some those.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Are all hold one second, those are all good names.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
But yes, bo, what do we got right?
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Now? Let's go to Monci. We have some breaking.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
News, breaking news from Fox Sports.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
Yeah, that's just stand.
Speaker 5 (03:42):
According to ESPN, UCLA has far head coach to Sean Foster. Wow.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Wow, that's amazing because last night I did a commentary
on KTLA and I didn't blame Deshan Foster for one reason,
he should never have been hired in the first place.
So he ends up as a scapegoat for the administration
of UCLA that did not make the kind of commitment
necessary with that school moving.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Into the Big Ten.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
I feel bad for Deshaun Foster, but he should never
have been in the position to begin with. They have
a bye week this week as they get ready for
Big ten plays, So I'm sorry for him. It had
to be done. It was an embarrassment. What happened to
UCLA fifteen and a half point favorites losing at home
by twenty five to New Mexico with about thirty thousand
people showing up at the Rose Bowl.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah, as fast as I can. I don't like this.
I don't like this. You can't fire a guy that fast.
With all the turnover that happened with Chim Kelly leaving
the cupboard is bear as you can leave a college
program cupboard and you ask a guy to come in
and you want him to change it around and flip
it around that fast and you fire him. That no problem.
(04:47):
Let's see what let's see, let's see what your program
looks like for the next five years. Well, I'll tell
you what it was. It was. Yeah, it was. I
watched they thought about you.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
It was ugly, but yeah, and I did the commentary.
But again, they should fire the athletic director. They should
fire the chancellor, the people that are actually making the decisions.
I'm very upset about by university. All right, as far
as those five quarterbacks were concerned, based on the first game, obviously, McCarthy,
I always think when you have a guy struggling, and
(05:18):
that pick six was as ugly as pass as you're
ever gonna throw. But for him to come back from that,
and again eyeball tests that fourth quarter, those passes were money,
They were on targets. So that impressed me. How he
was able to overcome, you know, reminded me of Trevor
Lawrence in that playoff game against the Charge.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
You remember he.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Throws four picks the first half and then comes back.
By the way, Jamiir Gibbs has just gotten into the
end zone. That didn't take long. Lions looking for a
big comeback game taking on the Bears, who still.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Have to be really happens when you don't have to
play Micah Parsons.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Yeah, exactly, So Jamir Gibbs basically untouched, walks into the
end zone for the score on the run and the
Ins trying to rebound this week after that tough loss
of the Packers jump up early on the Bears. So
based on again, when you're talking about the other quarterbacks,
you're talking about, you know, frontline quarterbacks, guys that have done,
have been there. You know again what a battle between
(06:14):
josh Aden Lamar Jackson, both at the top of their game.
Herbert Kenny followed up, interesting game tomorrow will get into.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
You know, that road game against the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
By the way, this goes back to Jim Harbor and
Pete Carroll Stanford US a lot of history between the
by the way, head to head six and six, head
ahead six and six, A.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Lot of history there. You know, Jim Harby, I know
it is it's.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
A big game in Vegas Allegiance Stadium, but yeah, I
mean J. J. McCarthy's performance certainly is in the conversation,
just based on his ability to keep his head on
straight despite the fact that he's struggling in his first
NFL start and then obviously coming back big in that
fourth quarter.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
And then the scramble, which was the exclamation point to
show I got feats man. When he was Michigan people
forget they used to call design run plays from not
a bunch of them. But he can move. He runs
a four four four five like this kid can move,
and just the leadership and when you go back and
you watch. You know, I'm texting Steve all week long
as I'm rewatching NFL games, like, hey, got this on
(07:15):
the screen right now, I'm watching this, I'm seeing this.
I'm checking this out. Going back to that Minnesota game
and watching the way the teammates and the coach responded
to the stuff they were saying to you. That's the
stuff that you know they know he's the guy. We're
struggling right now. Just let's keep playing, keep playing, keep
the game going, and we's got a lot of game left.
When you know you have that type of confidence from
(07:37):
your teammates and the coaching staff, all the kiddy gloves
are off.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
Man.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Watch the vikings this year with JJ McCarthy, so we'll
see again. He's taken overtena on fourteen games. Look at
Josh Allen right now. Big run for the Buffalo Bills quarterback.
That was like thirty five plus yards for Josh Allen,
obviously feeling good after engineering that amazing comeback against the
Baltimore Ravens. Look, you know the thing about it is,
(08:04):
right now, as we are into this second week around
the National Football League, I mean, you don't want to
overplay things, but you know one thing about young quarterbacks,
and I saw this with the Packer win against the Commanders.
So Jane and Daniels has this phenomenal rookie season, very
similar to what CJ. Stroud did two years ago, and
(08:25):
you could already see defenses are approaching him differently. Now.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
The Packers obviously have one.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
Of the better defenses, so they can do things defensively
that other teams may not be able to do. But
one thing about Jayde Downs, this reminds me old school
of Vince Young. Vince Young was offensive rookie year, the
superstar quarterback out of Texas, and all of a sudden
they realize there's one real thing that he can't do well,
and that's go to his left left and they took
(08:52):
that away from him. And you saw what the Packers did.
And again they're a team that has that ability now
with Michael Parsons to bring pressure from different angles. But
they did their best to try to force him to
his left. It's not that he can't play, but he's
less effective going to his left way less effective than
he's going to the right.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
And so these are things when you're a young quarterback.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
I could JJ McCarthy or any of these young quarterbacks
once they got film on you. These are smart people
being paid a lot of money to figure out how
do we stop this guy? And more often than that,
and then it's up to you to make the adjustment. Right,
They're gonna make adjustments and it you know, back and.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Forth it you'd be hard pressed. You know, Steve, you've
been doing rady with me long enough. Mansi, you've been
doing shows me long enough. You guys be hard pressed
to find anybody who mentions taper, film and this business
more than me, because the film don't lie, and that's
what people use to catch up. You can spray numbers
and statistics all you want. When you put the tape
(09:48):
on the tape e races all variables. What you see
is what you get now. I saw Tom Brady say
something super interesting on Colin the other day where we
talked about you're assuming that all these teams in front
offices and coaching staffs know how to develop quarterbacks because
we're so quick to want to give up on them. Right,
(10:08):
But how can you give up on a kid if
he's not being coach correct or if he's not being
coached about schemes and how to read things. This is
now up to the Washington coaching staff to now figure out, Okay,
how do we get him into plays the way he
can go left and still be successful. This isn't enough
for Jetting Daniels to figure out. This is for his
coaching staff and something I'll be keeping my eye on
(10:29):
at least for the next four to five weeks. When
he's going left and playing against good defenses, if they
try to force him just to stay right, he can't
force them left where he can't go right. We're gonna
see what the Washington coaching staff. There's just something to
keep an eye on for at least the next month
or so as the season gets going.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
All right, So right now we keeping an eye and
all these games going on, It's gonna be interesting this
game between the Jets and the Bills because I'm anxious
to see what Justin Fields does for an encore because.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
He looked good.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
I mean, it was a big shootout with him and
Aaron Rodgers, and obviously the Jets in many ways really
had a golden opportunity to win that game came up short.
Can they be competitive against the Bills, who have to
be sky high again after that game against the Ravens now.
I know you're trying to avoid this, but I'm not
gonna avoid it. Your Dolphins at home against the Patriots
(11:15):
apparently well again, they had a plane flying over the stadium.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
Somebody paid for a plane.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
You know when those streamer planes basically fire the coach,
fire the general manager. After that disgraceful opening game against
the Indianapolis coach, do you expect those Dolphins to have
a bounce back game today at home against obviously not
a very good New England Patriots team.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
A bounce back game? No, playing better? Yes than what
we saw last week. Teams have bad games. I know,
I know it's fun to you know, VJ teams when
teams are bad, and it's fun for you guys. You
guys love that. I get it. But but.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
If you got to hang out with a team and
make it clear this is my team or my guy, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I get it, But I don't expect a bounce back game.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
The offensive line still has trouble and the offensive line
has been a problem there. If they can't, that's why
they have to have a time in offense. They have
to have this time in offense for two it's not
because TWOA can't go to second and two it can't
go to third once again, put the tape on. By
the time he gets the second and third, he's got
guys that is facing all over him. So that's why
mac McDaniel has to do a timing offense because our
line is so bad. So uh, not a bounce back game.
(12:24):
I expect them to be competitive. That think Spray was
only a point and I half. I mean Vegas thinks
is a toss up game. I think it's a toss
up game too.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Do we have any updates on any of the other games, guys?
Speaker 6 (12:33):
Yeah, we have Pooka Nakua scoring a touchdown for the
Rams on fourth and one where it looks like he
got taken down for a loss, but he just scored
it out through the massive people and yeah, probably fifty yards.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
It's going to be a challenging here for the Titans,
but you know they got cam Ward.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
You know this kid will have an opportunity.
Speaker 6 (12:47):
Do you guys think that I think there's a real
chance that cam Ward takes more sacks this year than
Caleb Williams did last year.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Yes, it is possible.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
This is a really deficient Titans team in terms of talent,
no question about that.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Last week was in a non the case oh week one.
They came out, so they lost the game, but right
the first quarter and a half, you're like, oh wow,
they're compete with Dinner and they got a guy on
my left thing. There was one inn AFC West this year.
He's competing with them. But the year goes on boat.
Speaker 6 (13:13):
You know, I think you're right, No JC Latham today
and Byron Young just came completely unblocked.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
The Rams.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
As I've said before, the Packers are certainly in the conversation.
Eagles still rule the NFC until somebody knocks them off.
We'll see how they do later today against Casey. By
the way, Kevin Burkhart is going to be joining us
coming up in the next hour to preview that matchup.
But you know, the Rams with a healthy Matthew Stafford
and the Packers, I think now with the addition of
Michael Parsons, what we've seen the first couple of games
(13:42):
from them, at least in the moment, they seem to
be the two teams that are there. Obviously other teams
are in play.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Detroit already, you're right off Detroit already NFC wise, you're
right off Detroit already to compete with the Eagles.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
I would say right now two A, two B behind
number one Eagles would be the Packers and the right
I think now.
Speaker 7 (14:00):
I think for the Lions they're going to have to
prove on Thanksgiving that they can get past the Packers.
Well again, I think there's definitely some like communication issues
that they are probably solving this week when it comes
to the offensive line. But like that was kind of
a wake up with the Packers, like you got to
show you can at least like be on that Packers level.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
All right, did I miss it here?
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Seattle taking a seven nothing league guys against the Steelers.
So do we have an update on the score there?
Speaker 1 (14:26):
Do we have that?
Speaker 2 (14:27):
So the steel Steahawks on the road against the Steelers
taking the early seven nothing lead.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
Bo we got something there.
Speaker 6 (14:35):
I know Sam Darnold got blown up on the play,
but he completed a pass to somebody, not sure who
I know.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Well, they are up seven to nothing right now, we'll
give you an update on that and everything going on again,
if you've never been here before, the scores, the stats,
the analysis, everything you need this and the Bears have
gotten in Roma Doonze right there on they receiving him
from Caleb Williams to getting on the board as the
Bears like to tie things up against the Lions.

Nikua in motion behind Stafford now back out the left side,
Jet Sweet. They put it in his belly. He needs
to cross the forty five.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
He does stakes on his feet down the west sideline.
Speaker 9 (16:04):
Pook is gone ten five touchdown.
Speaker 10 (16:06):
Rams on fourth down and one Nakula goes forty five
to the house.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
That's the RAMS radio network.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Rams take the only seven to nothing lead on the

scoreboard right now. Jags an early touchdown pass and Trevor
Lawrence leading the Bengals on the road seven to nothing.
(16:53):
Giants Cowboys no score. Bears tied it up on that
touchdown pass we talked about earlier between Kayleb Williams and
ROMADUONZA and seven with the Lions.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
We mentioned.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Rams now up seven to nothing. Patriots got a touchdown
pass from Drake May missed the extra points of the
early six to nothing lead on the road against the
Dolphins forty nine Ers Saints no score. Bill's up seven
to nothing on the Jets, Seahawks up seven to three
on the Steelers. As Aaron Rodgers just engineered a field
goal drive in the Browns and Ravens no score. We
(17:24):
got nine games going on around the National Football League,
all right, So right now we got a little shoot
out here. Interesting spot for the Bears and Lions. You know,
we were talking earlier about JJ McCarthy engineering that fourth
quarter comeback for the Vikings.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
But what did you make of the Bears?
Speaker 2 (17:39):
I mean, you know, Ben Johnson, obviously a lot of hype,
A lot of people think the Bears are going to
be a better team this year. We're not quite sure
where we are with the NFC North. Certainly the Packers
look like an early favorite in that division. What was
your takeaway from the Bears?
Speaker 1 (17:55):
My takeaway from the Bears was is what I've always
thought about the Bears and Caleb Williams ever since this
whole thing started with you know, Kayler Williams is gonna
be this this generational guy, and we listen to our
I listened. Are a good, good friend. Mark Sanchez this
week was on I was on Dan Patrick and I
and I listened and dropped my daughter off the score.
I listened to the whole interview. No one does a
great job. But he was saying a lot of the
(18:16):
same things I've been saying for the last three years.
There's sometimes you watch Kayleb Williams and you do you
go wow, like, man, how do you do that? How
do you escape that? How do you? But then you
watch him on certain plays where it's one two three,
drop back, plant foot read, one read too, let it go,
and he's ten yards and he's ten yards off, he's
ten yards out of bounds. Some more on an open
(18:37):
touchdown pass the other day. It's all his great plays
are his feet. Plays, are him moving around when he's
got to drop back and he's gonna use those feet
and go one two release or one option, two option,
bring your eyes back over here, bring your eyes back
over here, let it go. He still struggles to do
so well, and it's gonna be a long rod for
them this year. Man, I'm telling you, I think you're
(18:58):
on the money.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
And again we talked about Ben Johnson is a was
the perfect quarterback coach for Jared Goff. You know, a
system coach, follow what I tell you and do it.
That's not Caleb Williams. And so you're asking Caleb to
really work outside of his comfort zone. And I agree
with you when he starts looking mechanical out there and
(19:22):
going through his progressions, that's.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Not what made this guy.
Speaker 6 (19:27):
You know what's weird about it, though, is watching the game,
I had the same takeaway. I thought he was terrible
outside of the scripted opening drive. But then as the
week goes on, you have guys like Kurt Warner and
the Harvard quarterback whose name I'm not gonna remember. Yeah, Fitzpatrick,
I mean Patrick, Yeah, And they watch this film and
they're like, oh, oh no, he was fine, he was good,
and it's it's interesting, I will say in one thing though,
(19:49):
he has zero running game, like DeAndre Swift is not
a real running back in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
DeAndre Swift, like the Lions knew this, the Eagles found
this out like there's there's just there's a.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
Understand And that's when JJ McCarthy started to actually play well,
as when Jordan Mason started ripping off those eight and
nine ten year characters.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
That's football, though, you have to have a running game.
I can't knock a quarterback for having a running game.
But with Caleb, just to piggyback on that with you bo,
it's it's, it's, it's it's amazing when you sit honestly
and you watch him play and you just watch and
it's like, dude, you can't miss that throw, Like that
is a basic NFL th reading throw.
Speaker 6 (20:25):
He reminds me of Rookie or Josh Allen. But I
just don't know if he has the desire to fix
the way fix the games.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Is something just happened in this Lions Bears Game two
that plagued them in that game, and that's they just
burned a time out early because like they're just not
all on the same page once. Amunication man, communication is key,
but with Kleb, but just all that really quickly. I
just listen. I get the hype, but I just think
he hit him and Drake May are gonna coin flip
for the most regrettable draft pick of that quarterback class.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
It's hard when you don't have a lot of talent
around you. I mean, I'll go all the way back
to David Carr being the first ever pick of the
Houston Texans. You know, set all time sack records. That
guy forget how to play the quarterback position. No, wrong place,
wrong time can cost a lot of quarterbacks what could
have been in the right place, right time a very
productive career. Everything about Dan Marino dropping all the way
(21:17):
down to the first round joining a team that had
just been to the Super Bowl, you don't think that
was a big benefit for Dan Marino's career to end
up with the Miami Dolphins. So, I mean, you know,
even Lamar Jackson, he goes bottom of the first round.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
He's with the Ravens.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
That's a that's a steady team with a solid score.
Jordan Jackson guy to some of the other teams.
Speaker 7 (21:41):
Nogue top quarterbacks taken in drafts struggling Trevor Lawrence just
got picked off in the end zone.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Wow, yeah, saw that all right?
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Well, there they are leading the Bengals seven to nothing.
I'll tell you one thing. Joe Burrows off to a
slow start this year. Wow, what is happening there? They
served vibe the game that they should have lost to
Cleveland last week. They did get the victory, but he
did not play well.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
What missed?
Speaker 11 (22:07):
Was it?
Speaker 1 (22:07):
Thirty eight yards.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
That was not yeah, and you could see him sort
of well, it was like the Atlantic kicker also, I
call that one. Then you could just tell him when
you start doing the old line up to kick thing.
It's like that Tennessee kid yesterday against Georgia. All that down,
they did everything.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
I said. It was on the air with that and
I'm like.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
Okay, watch they're gonna run down the clock down to
the final second for the game. And then they ran
the extra play, right, like what are you doing?
Speaker 1 (22:41):
Then they got a pedalty to move.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
It back five yards and they said, will you move
it to the mill? Guess what if he had been
on the left hash.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
It would have made it all right.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Let's find out what is trending right now? Monsey is here?
How are you, Monsey?
Speaker 11 (22:58):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (22:58):
You know, I'm trying to keep up with everything that's
going on with the internet, with the internet being a
little finnicky, but we're all good.
Speaker 4 (23:06):
Drake May with his.
Speaker 5 (23:07):
Second touchdown pass of the day already, So the Patriots
off to a good start against the Dolphins. Twelve zero
late in the first quarter, still seven zero between the
Rams and the Titans with Kyraen Williams in the end zone.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
Four LA.
Speaker 5 (23:22):
When it comes to the Jaguars, you guys just start
Christopher Fett. Yeah, Trevor Lawrence threw a pick. It was
Daxton Hill in the end zone for the Bengals that
caught that pick. Jaguars are still up though, seven zero,
with about four minutes to go in the first quarter.
The Bills did extend their lead with the field goal
ten zero over the Jets less than five minutes to
go in the first quarter of that one. The Bears
and the Lions are tied at seven apiece. By the way,
(23:44):
Ben Johnson was booed as he was introduced in his
return to Detroit. Understandably, so you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (23:52):
I'd be mad too.
Speaker 5 (23:53):
I ain't gonna I'd be going to Caleb Williams tied
the game with a twenty eight yard touchdown pass to
Rome Adunza. The Ravens on the scoreboard first with a
field goal against the Browns. It's three zero late in
the first quarter of that one. And in case you
missed it, yes, in a college football UCLA has fart
head coach to Sean Foster his second start there zero
(24:15):
in three second season zero in three to start.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
So yeah, I mean, but you know, Reset, I'm not surprised.
I feel bad for him, but like I said, he
should never been in the position to begin with.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
Totally.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
He was in the wrong place, wrong time, and I
blame the administration of UCLA for that debacle.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
It's all on them. My only beef with that is
when people say he shouldn't have been hired. Okay, well,
when do you get the opportunity to show whether you
can or you can't coach?
Speaker 2 (24:42):
He loves UCLA, We know that he loves UCLA. But
the inexperience at the head coaching position, especially with the
move into a far more competitive Big ten, Yeah, was
a challenge that unfortunately he wasn't up to. But and
again I hope that down the road he's still going
to working. He's still has certain value on a personal level.
(25:03):
Lovable guy. I know those players loved him, But this
is a bottom line business. He paid out one point
two million dollars to New Mexico to show up at
the Rose Bowl. You do barely thirty thousand fans for
the game, and you get blown out to a two
touchdown underdogs.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
So that's not the head coach's fall. Well, but head.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
Coaches fall, you know how that works. It's not always
a head coach's fall. All right, Right now, once again
we are here in Zone Radio. We're in the Fox
Sports Radio studios. Time out for a Draft King's pick.
My friend, what he got for us?
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Right now? I got a real juicy one too, already
cast in My first touchdown for the Lions game was
Jamier Gibbs at a plus three point fifty to start
this morning. That's already cast it. Also, Jalen Ramsey for
pick with a plus six point fifty has already cast
it from Draft Kings. I love Draft Kings. That's one
of my favorite sites. I think I need to just
(25:52):
get some some stock of something over there with draft
keys as much as this thing is opened on my
on my I pad. But before game later in the day, man,
I really very interested in this over under forty four
and a half. And the Falcons in the Vikings game
Vikings favored by three and a half last night. Line
will probably move a little bit today on DraftKings, but
(26:13):
the Falcons probably want to show up last week after
kind of laying and egg after that first drive at
home in a division game. This is another NFC matchup.
This could be playoff implications down the line. Big game
to watch out, man, I'm gonna take the Vikings to
cover though that three and a half at home. I
think they win by double ditches. Get you some alternate
money on that spread.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
Pennix Versuscarthy, two first round picks from a year ago.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but after Caleb and.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
McCarthy last week, exactly DraftKings Sportsbook, an official sports betting
partner of the NFL. Speaking of firing coaches, Mike McDaniel
could be on the firing line if they lose this game.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Already down twelve nothing to.
Speaker 7 (26:53):
The pagerway Shoot, you always like to point out missed
extra points? Two missed extra points? Oh I thought they
might have done it is two touchdowns with two missed
extra poots.
Speaker 5 (27:02):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (27:03):
So the Pats have no kicking game, but the Dolphins
have no defense. Question is do they have any heart
right now? Are they gonna show up for this coach
Mike mcganno, obviously in the hot seat after that embarrassing loss.
So the Colts the magnitude the loss, not just losing
thirty three to eight to the Colts. Now you're down
twelve nothing in the first quarter at home against the Patriots.
(27:24):
I mean, how much trouble is Mike McDaniel.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
In the potention is not a lot. That's why I'm
glad you brought that up. It's the hyper it's the
hyperbolic world we live in today. We're fire fire fire.
They're not gonna fire Mike McDaniel. Guys, they're not what
they need to do though, and I said this over
the summertime. They need to trade Tyreek Kill. There's something
going on there. They see there no nobody's interested in.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
And that's the lights that well, first of all, the
Dolphins have made sure the Dolphins that publicly said they're
not interested in trading.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
That's what they have to say. You've been doing this
long enough. But you know what they are.
Speaker 11 (27:53):
They are.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
They're putting out the feelers what they want.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
They saw the Michael Parsons deal, right, you know, we're
talking obviously about a receiver well into his career. We
saw the numbers he put up his first two years
in Miami. So you know, they floated out what the
asking price is and they haven't.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
Gotten a call. That's not true. And it's not I
have I have a good sense and good source on this.
That's not true at all. They're putting out feelers because
they're trying. They're doing this wrong. In my opinion. They're
trying to hold it together. And I get it. But
a rich man once told me, very wealthy man once
told me. Good businessmen they cut their losses early. You
cut your losses early. What doesn't work, get rid of
what works, doubled down on as fast as you can.
(28:31):
It's not worked. Something's up with the chemistry. It's not
the skill. It's not the players. It's it's none of that.
It's not the coach, it's none of that. There's a
chemistry issue, a camaraderie issue in the Miami Dolphin locker
room right now. That's a coach. That's the coach's job.
And I know you have one job. No, you have
one job as a coach. One job.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
Win games, bring the exact games. If you're not winning games,
you will lose your job.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
Room is for the vets to hold together, not a
head coach. That's why they had a players only meeting.
Where were your leaders on the team? Where your leaders?
Where are they?
Speaker 2 (29:09):
By the way, the Lions has scored. Montgomery just got
into the end zone on a short run. So the
Lion's right now leading thirteen to seven over the Bears
were waiting on the extra point. It was good, and
it's good.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
It's fourteen to seven l.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Lions two and a half minutes ago in the first
quarter with the lead against the Bear. So a bit
of a shootout going right there in Detroit. By the way,
the Giants lead the Cowboys three to nothing and now
have a first and ten in the red zone against Dallas.
So you know, the Cowboys looked very competitive against the
Eagles in that opening game. They had a lot of
(29:42):
time to prepare at home against a Giants team that
did not look good. Russell Wilson is lighting it up
ten of twelve, one hundred and fifty two yards in
the first quarter.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Three points against the Cowboys. Three points.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
Well, right now, they got a second and a at
the else fifteen yard line, so it could be ten
points soon. But Russell Wilson already one hundred and fifty
two yards through the air in the first quarter. Where's
that Dallas defense?
Speaker 1 (30:10):
You think it's the long layoff? Think about their last
game was what four and thirteen, twelve eleven days because
it was on Thursday, right, So it's been, it's been.
It's been a minute, man, you can get a little rush.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
I don't know it should be worried about the Eagles
later on.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
Yes, the Chiefs absolutely on the road. I think it started.
I mean, hey, the Chiefs had the Chiefs played the
next night, so the Chiefs didn't have a suddeny game either.
But the Chiefs got embarrassed and they're opening up at
home right now, and they're bringing in the team they're
welcome in the team that embarrassed them two games ago
in the Super Bowl. So I do believe the Chiefs
definitely will try to come out as star high home
(30:44):
crowd sooner or later. Though that doesn't matter. The Jimmy's
and Joe's take over. The x's and o's just better
guys are going to win the football game for you
in a lot of cases. So very interesting to see that.
I think Dallas is I think they're a little Russ.
Think their little Russ, and I think they saw a
Giants team coming in. Even this is the vision game, Gronman,
multi millionaire. Sometimes theve they could get caught up in
(31:05):
it man, here come. The Giants couldn't move the ball
against Washington. Then we see what Washington looks like on
Thursday night. Trust me, there's a players who sit in
that locker room like, oh okay, we've the Giants and
we got this man, look what Washington looked like against them,
and they look what Washington look like against Green Bay.
And then we're getting this team in and now the
Giants are like, nah, we still get a paycheck too.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
So one of the quarterbacks off to a good start today,
Sam Darnold six to seven ninety two yards and a
touchdown pass Early Seahawks Lee the Steelers by a score
of seven to six. Drake May for the Patriots seven
of eight eighty nine yards, two touchdown passes cam Ward
by the way of Although the Rams are leading the
(31:46):
Titans seven to nothing, the Titans are in Rams territory
four for four for forty four yards, so.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
He's off him running.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
But yeah, the guy that's had the biggest first half
so far statistically is Russell Wilson of.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
The New York Giants.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
They now have a third and seven at the Dallas
fourteen yard line, leading in that game three nothing with
two minutes to go in the first quarter.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
And then also too, if I throwed us out there,
Jamar Chase from Joe Burrow and now scored his forty
seventh career reception on a nice quick slant, just beats him.
This guy. So that's the guys. Look at this man.
What do you Yeah? What do you do? There's nothing
you can do on that play. You just tip your
You had most touchdowns in NFL since twenty twenty one
(32:28):
for Jamar Chase.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
The good news here Trevor Lawrence. Again, this is the
Bengals defense. That's the question we all had about the Bengals. Yes,
you have Joe Burrow obviously had one of the best
quarterbacks in the league. Can their defense hold it together?
Will Trevor Lawrence eight or twelve hundred and twelve yards
and a score in the first quarter. So he's off
to a hot start against that.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
All too.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
I don't know, breakable defense of the Bengals, whatever you
want to.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
I got to pick so and also Sam Donald because
we got to throw all these numbers out there. Sam
Donald's also throwing the pick too, like they could have
set fourteen points up on the But Sam Darnold does
what he doesn't turn on the Trevor Lawrence as as
Bo and Chris told us through an interception in the
end zone. So we'll see how this goes. Man especially,
I'm just really interested also too, we talked about Caleb already.
(33:12):
I'm really interested to see how he bounced back in
place today. Do we have an update the Saints.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
I got a score for the Saints at home against
the forty nine ers. This is a team that both
Chris and yes you VJ predicted we go oh in
seventeen this year.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
I think we could have predicted this.
Speaker 6 (33:27):
Yeah scored.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
Okay, I just said, originally it was posted Saints and
I looked down all of a sudden it had the
forty nine ers.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
Spencer Rattler is one for six and started that.
Speaker 7 (33:39):
Said, we might need to take back any brock party
slander that might have ever been out there about being
a system quarterback, because they still sorely miss him when
it compares to mac Jones.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
Yeah, but he can't stay on the field. We're not
taking any brock party slander back. The best ability is availability,
and here he is hurt once again and hurting his team.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Yeah, you got to stay on the field. That's for sure.
Stay on the field, all right, Well, continue on here,
very busy start to week two Sunday around the NFL
nine games going on as we speak. We got to
cover for you. This is end Zone Radio.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
Third down and goal. The ball is in between the
three and the four of Jacksonville Burrow looking for Chase
slamp Bye touchdown.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
Jamar Chase cutting inside of Tyson Campbell from the left.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
He's doing the gritty and the Bengals.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
Half scored at seven hundred WLW Bengals Radio Network. And
with that, the Bengals tied up with the Jacksonville Jaguars
seven to all thirteen minutes to go. In the second quarter,
there Joe Burrow six to ten, sixty eight yards and
a score. Jamar Chase four catches thirty seven yards and
that a touchdown. Once again, end Zone Radio in the
Fox Sports Radio studios. The show is sponsored by DraftKings.
(34:53):
Stay tuned because you canna hear more about DraftKings and
all it has to offer throughout the show, DraftKings, the
crown is yours, guys.
Speaker 6 (35:02):
Can I throw out an early nomination for off season
Acquisition of the Year. Let's do a bough Jalen Ramsey
for the Steelers. He has an interception today, knocked a
ball loose on a hit, He just blocked a field goal.
I wanted Jalen Ramsey back in La so bad. He
wanted to know he made His family is still here. Yeah,
his family is still here. I have a picture of
(35:22):
Jalen Ramsey at the liquor store right up the street.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
Okay, yeah, you gotta say nay. He lives at Woodland Hills.
He lives out this.
Speaker 6 (35:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (35:29):
The the moves of Steelers made like we give a
lot of love to the Aaron Rodgers thing. But yeah,
picking up Jalen Ramsey and like John new Smith has
been very productive for them as well. Like they've they
they've got that rosters spinning the right way.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
He was a career at a career year in Miami
last year with four quarterbacks like and then really turn
on two. But I'm glad you bought off the Steelers
because I wanted to talk about Aaron Rodgers. And when
I texted Steve, what I tek you about my quarterbacks? Steve,
one of his reactions were, well, hold on, what about
Aaron Rodgers? I thought, And in my awful little here
I thought last week was the Jets, right, the teams
(36:03):
that thought he couldn't play anymore, because he said in
his press conference he was very open about hey yeah,
like basically ha in your face, and does this kind
of settle back after that? Did we settle back get
to where Aaron Rodgers is? Well?
Speaker 2 (36:15):
But again we're talking about that game for touchdown passes
in his first game with the Steelers.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
No one saw that happen. He only against the Jets,
no one saw that happening. But we always know. We
also know that we've seen quarterbacks have to go back
and play their old teams and they have these blockbuster games,
and then as the year goes on, they settle right
back because they don't get you don't have that motivation.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
I'm not overplaying what I'm expecting from Aaron Rodgers. My
point was going into the Seeds and they can't be
worse off he's and they've been over the last four
years a quarterback with Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 6 (36:47):
He's three of seven for twenty six yards today.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
Yeah, well, I tell you, I'm well, let me give
you where are you right now? Your Dolphins just scored Yeah,
to a tongue of byelaw jayalen Wada right there, touchdown
pass and they actually made the extra point. So the
pass with two early touchdowns missed both extra points.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
They got twelve.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
Dolphins have seven right now, two of four or five
forty four yards and the score. So a lot of
football to play, guy, of course, there is a lot of.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
This happens week after week.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
We will sit there, seriously, this is what happens here
on that's on radio. We're sitting here early on, and
you know, teams will get off to a good start
or a bad start, and then all of a sudden
we sort of like we lose track of games, like, okay,
that game's over. Let's let's focus on these two games here,
and then all of a sudden.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
You go back, what happening here? What happened here?
Speaker 2 (37:33):
They were down seventeen, now they're down three. What happened here?
This is the nature by the way, Buffalo right now
with a thirteen nothing lead over the Jets, and it's
been a struggle so far for justin fields going against
well again, he's you know, we'll see one of four
eighteen yards. So they're not throwing the ball at all.
They can't even get any offensive plays off Josh Allen.
(37:54):
By the way, you ready for this, three of ten
for fourteen yards, right, three of ten for fourteen yards.
In fact, Trubisky came and Josh Allen got his nose bloodied.
He had to come out briefly. Trubisky threw a thirty
two yard pass. Josh Allen did have a forty yard run.
But three of ten for fourteen yards for Josh Allen
(38:16):
to start this game.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
I love Justin Fields, and bo I'll throw this at
you too, because you're asking about the Steelers in their acquisitions,
and then I'm spinning it to you know, Ann Rogers.
Justin Fields looked really good last week, right, but you
know right, Steelers didn't want them. It felt like both
those guys played to prove the team wrong and then
what happened happened. But do we just kind of see
(38:40):
both these guys man, just settle back into what they
truly are, because over time, you can't hide in football.
Sooner or later we're gonna see who you are.
Speaker 6 (38:50):
Like the idea that Justin Fields now on his what
is this his thirteen or four years? The idea that,
like of all teams, the Jets are going to be
the one that unlock what's.
Speaker 1 (38:59):
Really h like whatever?
Speaker 11 (39:00):
What?
Speaker 1 (39:01):
No one else?
Speaker 6 (39:01):
Yeah, look, I was just he's the guy he is
now like and the same thing with Aaron Rodgers, Like
Aaron Rodgers is forty. I feel like Chris mentioned it before,
but like Tom Brady has broken our brains in terms
of how as to play.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
Yeah, like Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, both these guys. Like it's
more like Russell Wilson that after you go after thirty five,
most quarterback historically start to draw drop off.
Speaker 2 (39:20):
Well, and we saw dramatic drop offs. You remember Brett
Farres next to last year, unbelievable year with the Vikings,
next year completely off the cliffs, paid Manning's last year
off the cliff. I mean that that is the norm.
Yeahs are rare. Yeah, well he's a cyborg. I don't
know what he is. Anyway, here's the staff for you.
We are approtein. The end of the first quarter, totally
(39:42):
yards the New York Giants, couple of field goals, six
nothing laid over the Cowboys. Total yards in this game.
The Giants have one hundred and seventy and the Cowboys
have nine.
Speaker 1 (39:52):
Well, giants can't the Cowboys can't run the football they
had probably wanted or what worst.
Speaker 2 (39:56):
Javonte Walliams one carried for two yards, Dak Prescott one
of two passing, had one three and out in this game, and.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
That is it. No, they can't run the football there
with Dallas. That's what that's what words me. And also
to once again, long break from that Thursday night game
and ceedee Lamb. I've been I call him drop Seas
famously for the last three or four years. The guy
just drops too many important balls. And I just think
that this Dallas offense, they still may be tasting that
fourth quarter from that Thursday night opening game right now,
(40:24):
and honestly, it's a little hangover being that was, you know,
thirteen days ago.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
All right, Well, the Bengal fans have reason to be
concerned as Jacksonville has scored again another touchdown passer Trevor Lawrence.
He's lighting it up right now, twelve to sixteen hundred
and forty two yards and a couple of scores. So
until the Bengals can actually stop somebody calling them a
contender is well inaccurate, They're not.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
You gotta play a little defense.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
Sorry, we got a lot of games going on nine
games around the National Football League. We got the scores,
we got the stats. We will break down all these
games and will preview the games this afternoon. This is
end Zone right rolling along here week two of the
National Football League. Nine games to kick off this Sunday.
This is end Zone Radio once again. The show is
(41:09):
sponsor by DraftKings. Stay tuned because you're gonna hear more
about DraftKings than all it hass offer throughout the show. Draftking,
the crown is yours once again here in the Fox
Sports Radio studios. And we were talking about Josh on see,
I can either kill a guy's game or ignited guy's
game by saying something. And as soon as I said, wow,
(41:31):
look at Josh Allen, he's the touchdown pass just like that.
So James Cook, by the way, he has a couple
scores in this game. The Bills are blowing out the
Jets twenty to nothing right now, eight and a half
minutes to go in the first half of that game.
Now coming up, we got a huge game this afternoon.
It's a Super Bowl rematch between the Eagles and the Chiefs.
(41:52):
And join us right now is the man that will
call the play by play of that matchup. It's always
great to have on Kevin Burkhart j Again, Kevin, we
always appreciate the time.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
I know time is tight.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
So let's talk a little bit about what's going to
be going on in this game between the Eagles and
the Chiefs. The last time we saw these two teams
on the field, the Eagles embarrass the Chiefs and then
the Chiefs open up this season with a loss against
the Chargers. As you look at this team preparing for
their second game, give us a sense of where this
Chiefs team is right now going into this matchup against
(42:26):
the Eagles.
Speaker 11 (42:27):
Well, I think they're in a little bit of unchartered territory.
And look it's week two, so not saying anything about panicking,
but it's just different because they're an underdog at home.
It never happens on the second time since Mahomes have
been the starting quarterback. You know, he's never lost three
games in a row. And I think, maybe more importantly
the last two games last week in Brazil and then
of course the Super Bowl against the Eagles, I think
(42:48):
physically they got dominated and that you just haven't seen
from these Andy Reid teams. And I think they're eager
to see how they match up. You know, I think
it's a you know, look, nobody wants and two and
I think if they do, they'll still be fine. But
I think it's a real test just to see where
these chiefs are after the last couple of games. I do,
(43:08):
and you know what, so much so that their players
and Andy Reed told us the same thing this week.
Speaker 1 (43:13):
Kevin vj verner Husky here new to the end Zone
show man. So great to be talking to you for
the very first time. Love your work that you do
in our network here Fox. Let's flip though, to the
other team in Jalen Hurts, who's a gentleman who I
always say in this business, we always ask quarterbacks to
do certain things. We asked our quarterbacks to go out
and leader team to win a division, and we want
them in the playoffs to win those games. And then
when they go head to head with the other big guys,
(43:34):
we want them to beat them and outplay them. And
Jalen Hurts has been to two Super Bowls in the
last three years. He's out playing Mahomes in my opinion,
and both of them a guy that people wanted to
put over our partner, your partner. They're top ready to
go already, and we still have to have Jalen Hurts
prove something to us. Where are you when you when
you stack up Jalen Hurts and what he means to
(43:54):
this Philadelphia Eagles team.
Speaker 11 (43:56):
Well, I think the beauty of Jalen Hurts is that
his two best games have been in the Super Bowls.
I mean, he was amazing in Super Bowl fifty seven.
The only scars when he fumbled the ball and Nick
Boltmore turned for a touchdown. So it was a big
It was a big turnover, obviously, but he seems to
rise to the occasion and the biggest moments when they
need him. You know, the Chiefs defense, you know, they
didn't have an awful Super Bowl. They did a great
(44:18):
job against sa Kuon Barkley and they made things hard,
but the Eagles took advantage and Hurts made big times
throws in that game.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
So I don't.
Speaker 11 (44:24):
Understand that narrative to me, And you know, I don't
know if it's just because there's so many stars surrounding
them or whatever it is, but I think it's bs.
I mean, I think Jalen Hurts is a superstar quarterback.
He's won ever where he's been, and the Eagles certainly
don't win the Super Bowl without him. So, I mean,
I don't know what else you need to see after that, be.
Speaker 2 (44:42):
Yeah, and when you when you talk about going back
to the Chiefs or moment here, we saw a little
bit of, you know, banter amongst Chiefs players, a little
frustration in that game against the Chargers right there. Obviously,
when you win as much as they've won over these
last several years, there's got to be us certain cohesiveness
in that locker room. Are you sensing that there's any
(45:05):
doubt at all creeping in with this Chiefs team?
Speaker 11 (45:08):
Yeah? I don't. I mean, and I know what you're
talking about the end of that game. You know, when
Herbert ran around the corner and Chris Jones did a
stunt and Drew Trank will kind of call them out,
and you know, I think sometimes that could be a
good thing, man, you know. And the Eagles had that
with AJ Brown and you know, Jalen Hurts and because
they run the ball all the time, like oh my gosh,
and A. J. Brown said the past game needs work
(45:29):
and he wasn't saying it maliciously, and they came out
the next game they threw three touchdowns to him or
whatever it was. So I think there are times when
those things are bad. I didn't take that as a
bad thing. I think it was just more a frustration thing.
And that's why, you know, Look, I think today is
a great test for them because not because they're losing phases,
because there's still the Chiefs and Pastrick Holmes is still
the greatest player in the league, and Aie Reeves is
(45:50):
the best coach, all those things. But I think there
is maybe a level where you know, they won every
single game they played one score lest year, and that
is an art, that is a skill to that, like
just ask my partner Tom Brady, who did it more
than anybody. But at some point, you know, talent wise,
if the other teams catch up a little bit, well
then you don't win as many of those games anymore. So.
(46:11):
But right now, a team that won fifteen games that
went to the Super Bowl stear it's hard for me
to give up the Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (46:17):
And speaking of giving up bunch of cheezs that that's
a great segue to my final question for you from me.
We're always waiting for someone to knock down the dynasty.
We're waiting for people to do it forever with the
Lakers or the Spurs, or the Celtics, and definitely the Patriots,
and you're part of Tom Brady. Is this the year
that you could see maybe Jim Harball in those charges,
even though they did beat them over a week of
(46:38):
going down to Brazil, but over the long haul, in
your opinion, do you think we'll see the Chiefs get
it together repeat AFC West champions Or is this the
year Kevin that somebody says not anymore? We want this now.
Speaker 11 (46:50):
I just have to see it to believe it. I mean,
there's obviously teams that are capable of doing it, you know,
and I think Baltimore and Buffalo are a little ahead
of the and a couple of others in my opinion
right now. But Patrick Mahomes has been the AFC Sattle
game every year. He's been the starting quarterback. So show
it to me, I gotta you know, it's fun to
(47:10):
say in Week two, boys, but like you know, show
me the team that's going to come in here and
actually do it, because no one's been able to do it.
And I think the challenge for them is coming off
a super Bowl loss. That is the challenge and that's
what teams usually have a hard time with getting back,
is re grouping from the losses. Not so much at
the repeating end. It's the Super Bowls that you lose.
You look at history, teams have not gotten back. I
(47:32):
think that overall in the motivation factor and things like that.
But if they get in the playoffs and they got
home games, good luck to everyone else coming in here
and knocking them off.
Speaker 2 (47:40):
Well, ask any boxer it gets in the ring against
somebody that.
Speaker 1 (47:43):
Knocked them out.
Speaker 2 (47:44):
It's a little tough when you're facing that. And believe me,
that was a knockout punch in the Super Bowl that
the Eagles delivered on the Chiefs. Kevin will be watching.
It's the game of the day. Kevin Burkhart. Tom Brady
on the call, Kevin, we always appreciate the time.
Speaker 1 (47:57):
Thanks so much for joining us.
Speaker 11 (47:59):
Thank you guys. Enjoy the games. We'll see you.
Speaker 1 (48:01):
We'll do it.
Speaker 2 (48:02):
Kevin Berkhart, Jonius right there. This is a very interesting matchup.
By the way, great job is always with Kevin. He's
well prepared. You know why, he's one of the top.
But you know what, I agree with him and I
don't even want to overplay it. I mean, but we
go back to that Chiefs loss to the Chargers, and
let's face it, had it not been for Mahomes making
some miraculous plays, it's a blowout.
Speaker 1 (48:25):
It's a blowout.
Speaker 2 (48:25):
I mean, the Chargers dominated him. Jim Harbaugh finally allowed
Herbert to throw the ball. He had one of his
best games. And again, if Mahomes doesn't pull off Mahomes
type plays in that game, that game is not even close.
The Chiefs are dogs at home. That does not happen
often for casey point and a half on the run
(48:46):
in the game right now, and I don't see how
that game is going to be any different. I mean,
I mean, I don't expect thirty four nothing Eagles lead
or something like that. But I think where the Chiefs
are right now, where the Eagles are right now, there's.
Speaker 1 (48:59):
A he's a white.
Speaker 2 (49:00):
Eagles should be favored in this game, even in that
game at Arrowhead.
Speaker 1 (49:03):
Yeah, and it's a coin flip game. And last night
when I had it looked up on DraftKings, it's a
point I have. But you guys, you know and heard
what I thought about the Eagles. I think They're the
best team in football. They're loading on both sides of
the ball. I've never hated in Syrian as much as
everybody else did. I get some of the little things
he's done that can rub people wrong. Fine, we all
do things that rub people wrong. Nobody's perfect. I love
(49:24):
this team. You know how I feel about Jalen Hurts.
You know I feel about AJ Brown and Deavonte Smith
and this defense, this front seven up front that will
just punch you in your mouth over and over and
over again all game long. It's gonna take catastrophic injuries
to tear them down. And I think I do think
the Chiefs will be up for this game though. I
do think it's a tightly contested game. But once again
(49:45):
we get Mahomes versus Jalen Hurts. And if he goes
out here and puts up a great performance and they
get out here with a win, we got to start
to move him up the list. Guys. We can't keep
holding guys down that keep beating the guy that we
keep saying is the best.
Speaker 2 (49:58):
Side unexpected performance of the day so far, without question.
Speaker 1 (50:02):
Russell Wilson, Russell Wilson, get this.
Speaker 2 (50:05):
We got four minutes to go in the first half,
Giants leading at Dallas thirteen to three, and Russell Wilson
first half sixteen of nineteen, two hundred and twenty one
yards and a score.
Speaker 1 (50:16):
There's my plus two twenty hit it on the yard
in the first four minutes to go on the first half.
There are you kidding me? Wow?
Speaker 2 (50:24):
Russell Wilson, who you look bad last week on fire today?
Just ignited by this Dallas defense, which that was the question,
how much are they gonna miss Micah Parsons. Well, Russell
Wilson's been sacked only one time. When you're sixteen of
nineteen passing for that kind of yardage, you're getting time
to look down the field.
Speaker 1 (50:45):
So the Cowboys are.
Speaker 2 (50:46):
Void of any real pressure on Russell Wilson and he
is delivered. I don't know if the Cowboys can turn
around right now. They're on the move, so maybe they
can cut down on the score. But wow, two hundred
and twenty one yards passing by Russell Wilson with four
minutes go the first half.
Speaker 1 (51:01):
Wow, that is not good. No, it's not good at all.
And something else that's not good at all too. Joe Burrow. Yeah,
as out of the game, limped off, went down grabbing
the back of his ankle. I don't want to speculate
on anything, but when they grabbed that ankle, there's two
or three things that can happen there that you just
don't want to see. And we've seen that. So, I mean,
we thought the Bengals needed all you know, you know,
(51:22):
damn near a perfect season or perfect defense to be
competitive with no Joe Burrow forever long. This is going
to be whatever injury is. Man, Well, how fast did
the AFC just turn ladies and gentlemen?
Speaker 2 (51:34):
All right, we'll try to get an update on that injury.
Speaker 1 (51:36):
Injury.
Speaker 2 (51:37):
Jake Browning right now in a quarterback for the Bengals
and they ended up with a field goal. So the
Jaguars lead the Bengals right now, fourteen to ten. All right,
we got a lot going on right now, approaching halftimes,
with these nine games in the morning.
Speaker 1 (51:54):
It's a hectic pace. We're up to it.
Speaker 2 (51:57):
That's why we are here for you with the scores,
the stats, the analysis.
Speaker 1 (52:00):
This is end Zone Radio.
Speaker 9 (52:02):
Aaron Rodgers in the shotgun one fifteen counting as he
gets to snap back to pass, looking at a loft
to the right, up jump fall run in by DJ Metcalf,
touchdown Pittsburgh Steelers and touchdown pass number five hundred and
eight for Aaron Rodgers, tying him for fourth all time
with Brett Fahr.
Speaker 2 (52:23):
That's one O two point five w DVE Steelers Radio Network.
It's been a rough half for Rogers, just five to
twelve for thirty eight yards, but he does get that
scoring past the Metcalf. Steelers lead the Seahawks by score
of fourteen to seven. Once again, this is end Zone
Radio in the Fox Sports Radio studios, and now it
(52:43):
is time for another Draft Kings pick.
Speaker 1 (52:46):
Harry Jay absolutely Man Draft Kings is serving him up today.
I love it. I got two from this evening game,
being that we just talked to our great colleague Kevin
berg Hahr, who could have called a game with Tom
Brady between the Eagles at the guns of CDCH this afternoon.
I'm gonna give you guys a coin flip man first
touchdown Travis Kelce or AJ Brown. AJ Brown's at a
(53:07):
plus eleven one hundred, Travis Kelsey's at a plus one thousand.
Who do you think scores the first? I'm gonna take
Kelsey because I think once again, the Chiefs gonna have
a lot of energy their first home game. Last two
games have been kind of you know, outplayed in Bears
and Nfink. Kelsey wants to prove and he did score
against the Chargers, so I think Kelsey wants to prove
a I'm not old man River just yet. I still
(53:29):
got a little juice in my tank. Get me the
ball early. No Exavier Worthy, so you got to do
some things there. I'm gonna take Travis Kelcey first touchdown
in the game for a plus one thousand one.
Speaker 2 (53:39):
Kind of I did not get from Burkhar was just
that update on the wide receivers. They could have Worthy
out there.
Speaker 1 (53:44):
A couple of guys should be out right is still
out also, Supenditu.
Speaker 2 (53:47):
So we'll see how that works, all right. Updated of
the scoreboard right now. Jaguars in Cincinnati lead the Bengals
fourteen to ten inside two minutes ago. In the first
half there, Giants lead the Cowboys thirteen to ten. We
were talking earlier about the right half for Wilson two
hundred and twenty one yards passing Cowboys hanging in two minutes
to go, Giants thirteen to ten over the Cowboys. Lions
have just scored again twenty one to seven right now
(54:10):
over the Bears. Four minutes and forty eight seconds to
go in the half. Rams and Titans. And the Titans
are hanging in there right now, trailing the Rams ten
to three, and they have a second goal right now
at the Rams nine yard line. Minute to go on
the half. Rams lead the Titans ten to three. It
is halftime, and your Dolphins VJ have come back after
an early twelve to nothing hole. They trail the Patriots
(54:32):
fifteen to fourteen. Drake May a couple of touchdown passes
will update you more on that game in a moment.
Forty nine Ers at the Saints. Saints not done yet.
Forty nine Ers with a nine to nothing lead, but
the Saints minute half to go in the first half.
I have a third down at the forty nine or
eighteen yard line. Bills, Jets, forget it. Twenty to three Bills.
It's all Bills today. Two minute warning there. Steelers, as
(54:55):
we mentioned up, fourteen to seven of the Seahawks, thirty
seconds to go in the half game. We haven't really
to talked about right now. The Ravens and the Browns
and the Ravens lead the Browns with less than a
minute to go on the half by a score of
ten to nothing. Really no surprise here that you know
Joe Flacco can't get anything going offensively in this game.
(55:15):
But Lamar Jackson pretty ordinary first half against a very
good Browns defense. Ten to fifteen, seventy seven yards in
a score. But he has yet to actually have a
rushing attempt. And get this, you're ready for a first
half stat. Derrick Henry against the Browns defense. Five carries,
five yards. Yeah, he has five yards rushing in the
first half against this Cleveland Browns defense.
Speaker 1 (55:37):
Yeah, this is not Buffalo. That's that's for him. Sure,
But I think Dereck Henry also too. Man, he might
just still be in a little funk. I would be
if I fumbled like that cost my team the game
after we were just blowing out a team that people
are picking to win the Super Bowl. This Bengals game
is just really interesting because we don't know what's up
with Burrow. But I got a good stat for you
(55:57):
guys right here, Guys, the Bengals, they have twenty seven
points in the last six quarters. Yeah, if twenty seven,
this is a team that was dropping thirty like it
was nothing last year once again, Week two. I get it.
I like to just talk junk and watch football the
first four weeks, not make many predictions. I like to
watch football in quarters, first four games, then those middle
(56:20):
fourd That's why when we get to our our prediction show,
I get the first five because I look at the
first four games and then who's that fifth game coming
out of the first four games, and how I like
the judge teams as their season gets starting to get going.
But I mean, this looks just inept what we're seeing here.
And then you talk about this this Lion's game here too. Lions,
(56:40):
I think they easily. I believe it score thirty five points.
Oh on this Bears DEFENSI that the Bears are in
a lot of trouble this year, guys.
Speaker 2 (56:47):
I I thought the Bears predictions that this was somehow
a breakout year. Ben Johnson, look, he's gonna have to
get his guys on the same page.
Speaker 1 (56:55):
They're not there yet.
Speaker 2 (56:56):
I'll tell you it's looking good so far. Cam Ward
just threw a touchdown pass and the Titans are tied
with the Rams as that game is heading into the half.
Shortly right now, Cam War looking good ten of seventeen,
one hundred and twenty three yards and that touchdown, so
you know, at the very least it's giving the Titans
some hope. It does at least they picked the guy
(57:17):
that looks good so far.
Speaker 6 (57:18):
It does require some context though. That throw is about
the worst throw you could possibly make, and he got
bailed out by the Rams not knowing.
Speaker 2 (57:23):
How to where's the Rams offense in this game against
a terrible Titans scene.
Speaker 6 (57:27):
Kim Ward rolled out to his right, had all day
to throw, and he threw it across his body. You
can't do that in the NFL very much.
Speaker 2 (57:35):
Well, he got away with it and they are tied
with the Rams. So New England and Miami. This one
was a rough start, twelve to nothing, both missed extra
points for New England. Drake may good half twelve to
fourteen hundred and twenty nine yards and two scores. But
Miami has come back and two is on the target
nine to ten, one hundred and seventeen yards. He also
(57:55):
has a pair of touchdown passes, so they're even right
now out and this is a really important game for Miami,
rebounding after a rough start today obviously a horrific game
last week against the Colts, and at least in that
second quarter, looks like they responded.
Speaker 1 (58:11):
It's a big game for both teams, not just the Dolphins.
It's a big game for everybody. Guys. The hardest thing
to do in the NFL is to win a game.
That's the hardest thing to do. That's why you only
get one shot a week. If it was easy, they
let you play two or three times a week like
they do they do in other sports. It's the hardest thing.
It's a big game because you know, no one wants
(58:32):
to start ozing to right, so you got too all
on one teams going at it. They're gonna give their all.
And then once again, this is a division game. This
is a division game. Things are different. We're seeing this
with the Ravens and the Browns. It's a division games.
Speaker 12 (58:44):
Now.
Speaker 1 (58:44):
The Browns should probably be getting blown off the field,
but they do feel the very good defense, and they
got some offensive webs and they got some other guys
on the team. I like to call I don't know professionals, right,
these are other professional NFL players too. They get a paycheck.
Whatever day is a Tuesday or Thursday. For people say
before whatever they get paid on every two weeks they
get paychecks two man, So a lot of football to
be played. But like I said, I love the way
(59:06):
tool looks today. Nine to ten for one hundred and
seventeen yards, two touchdowns, no turnovers, eleven point seven yards
per attent, which means they're moving the ball down the
field or he's getting into the receiver's hands. It takes
a little bit in the beginning. You notice the for offenses. Man,
look at the score. Just look at the scores. Guys,
looks across the board.
Speaker 2 (59:23):
Yeah, well, we'll see how he says.
Speaker 1 (59:25):
Offenses to get going. All right?
Speaker 2 (59:27):
The Saints, remember their Saints offense last year was a
juggernaut those first couple of games. Remember though, break up
the Saints. But it's amazing in this game right now.
Spencer Raddler just threw a touchdown pass with Juwan Johnson
nine seven forty nine ers.
Speaker 1 (59:40):
And it's interesting.
Speaker 2 (59:41):
You take Rock Purty out and you put in Mac
Jones and all of a sudden, Mac Jones versus Spencer Rattler,
that's like a wash. Christian McCaffrey against Alvin Kamara, that's
that's almost like a wash. Suddenly on paper they don't
look all that different. They really don't look that different
than the stats are almost identical so far in this game.
So the Saints at home, minute to go on the
(01:00:02):
first half, hanging in trailing the forty nine Ers nine
to seven.
Speaker 1 (01:00:06):
You and I have been doing this show together since March,
and we've been in this time slot. We've talked about
the Niners, you know, to nauseum all off season long.
What word the Niners gonna be? My simple question is
you have to just tell me whether Brock Purty is
playing or Brock Party is not. It's as simple as that.
Anytime you take QB one off the field, guys, your
(01:00:30):
team is going to go down because if the backup
was that good, he'd be starting somewhere else. When we
all know there's not thirty two great starting quarterbacks in
the NFL. So if you're a backup, that means you
can't start nowhere else. And when you start to get
that type of energy going and you're in that predicament
like they are today, nine points Kittles on the ir Now,
(01:00:50):
we don't know how long, right, how long before McCaffrey, right,
I mean let's be honest.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Well again year, when running backs start having injuries, it's
a tough position to recover, ye, just by the nature
of the position. Right, That's why running backs have collectively
the shortest careers in the NFL, and teams know that
they're going to use them up. Look what happened Alastin
Eckliff Boom.
Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
I mean, it's over.
Speaker 2 (01:01:12):
He's a thirty year old running back. He blows his achilles.
Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
Done. That's it.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
He's not going to run it anymore.
Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
He's done. And I sat right here and I said, Washington,
do not trade Brian, do not trade that guy. And
look where we are today. You're in dire need of
a running back and you traded the guy you could
have plugged in.
Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
Yeah. And Eckler's one of those guys that you know,
when the Chargers got him as an undrafted rookie, they realize,
we're gonna use him as much as we can, for
as long as we can. That's how these running backs
are handled, by the way. Big, big possession for the Bears.
Right now, trailing the Lions twenty one to seven, We're
at the two minute warning and the Bears have a
first and goal at the Detroit six yard line, So
if the Bear's going to hang in there, they need
(01:01:51):
to score here. By the way, Deandre's swift fifty yards
rushing in the first half, they can get that kind
of production at a swift makes things a little easier
for Caleb Williams, who right now has got pretty decent
stats thirteen of eighteen or in thirty eyes. He just
threw a touchdown pass on first and goal, So touchdown?
Is that a doonsay? Again?
Speaker 1 (01:02:10):
That was a beautiful play. I'd give him props on that.
That was beautiful.
Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
That is the second touchdown pass to a Dunsay right there.
So the Bears right back in this game right now,
pending the extra point twenty one to thirteen inside the
two minute warning here, and this is just a well
designed play.
Speaker 1 (01:02:27):
Dunesay.
Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
We know the kind of talent this kid has, and
that's that's going to be the challenge for Ben Johnson
getting these two guys on the same page to create
that dynamic quarterback receiver. When you look at great teams,
they whether it's a tight end, wide out, whoever it is,
you need that go to guy. We know these guys
came in with a lot of hype and if Ben
(01:02:48):
Johnson could get them on the same page, Bears are
going to put up some points.
Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
And here's the thing though, that played right there. We're
all in the Special four. We're all like shaking our
head when I said that was a beautiful play. But
this is a if. This is what you have to
do with Caleb for him to be successful. This is
not sustainable. You can't roll out every down and.
Speaker 2 (01:03:08):
Also lost your body does that's some Mahomes type pass
those kind of passing. It says across side arm. You
know that's not every quarterback can make that play.
Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
It's not sustainable, but great drive and great way to
get back into this game right before the half of
the Chicago Bears.
Speaker 2 (01:03:24):
All right, let's find out what is trending right now
as we welcome back America's favorite Monci.
Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
America. Are you America? That's dope?
Speaker 4 (01:03:35):
You know se Steve is just just saying kind things
to me.
Speaker 1 (01:03:39):
I want a title? How you got one? I love that.
Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
I mean they're like, okay, can we get to Mancy?
That's basically stop talking.
Speaker 5 (01:03:48):
Yeah, he doesn't think my head is big enough, so
he's like, how can I make her head bigger, and
I appreciate that. Thank you, Steve, thank you, thank you.
You know, Romo Jeans is not on my fantasy this
year unfortunately, but yeah, he's got two touchdowns. And the
Bears and are with the Lions right now, finds up
twenty one to fourteen, two minutes to go before halftime.
(01:04:11):
Most of these games are in the final two minutes
or in halftime.
Speaker 4 (01:04:13):
That's all I'll say.
Speaker 5 (01:04:14):
So I don't have to keep telling you to that,
but final two minutes or already at halftime, at the half,
Ravens over the Browns right now, ten to three.
Speaker 4 (01:04:21):
And you mentioned the numbers for Lamar ten of.
Speaker 5 (01:04:24):
Seventeen, ten of seventeen, seventy seven yards and a touchdown,
Joe Flacco twenty twelve of twenty three, ninety three yards.
Quinchh On Judkins who made his debut today. He is
six carries so far for twenty yards. When it comes
to Cleveland, down to the final seconds with the Bills
on top of the Jets twenty to three. And here
the person that we're gonna talk about is James Cook,
not Josh Allen, because James Cook has ten carries for
(01:04:45):
eighty three yards and two touchdowns so far in this
one one to one was a forty four yard rushing touchdown.
Then we've got the Jaguars in the Bengals. There's no
official report yet, but Joe Burrow went down on a sack.
It looked like they grabbed his ankle. He walked to
the blue tent assisted and then walked to the locker room.
Halfway through the locker room to the locker room, he
was assisted. But we don't know further than that. But
(01:05:08):
the Bengals right now are losing to the Jaguars. At
halftime seventeen to ten, Titans over the Rams ten to three.
Matthew Stafford has known for one hundred and seven yards.
Cam Ward has Storn for one hundred and twenty three
yards and a touchdown. Starting in the third quarter Dolphins
and Patriots, with the Patriots on top fifteen to fourteen,
and also half here at the halftime between Seahawks and Steelers,
(01:05:28):
Pittsburgh up fourteen to seven, Aaron Rodgers thirty seven yards
and a touchdown in the air, not too shabby. Sam
Darnold one hundred and fifty seven yards and a touchdown,
but also at two picks four, Sam Darnold. The Cowboys
are losing at home to the Giants thirteen to ten,
and the forty nine ers have a lead over the
Saints sixteen to seven, but the Saints did get a touchdown.
Spencer Rattler connected with Jowan Johnson on that one. We're
(01:05:50):
going to check in on baseball real quick because Kyle
Schwarber hit his fifty second home run of the season,
So I gotta give you that. Philly's up right now
on the Royals two zero after four innings, and the
wn A playoffs start today.
Speaker 1 (01:06:01):
First wow, yeah, first round. That's a DVRs guys, So
monks right now.
Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
By the way, w NBA ratings, despite the fact that
Kayl and Clark pretty much missed most of the season,
played thirteen games, are not down. No, yeah, they are
not down. So it'll be interesting in the midst of
the NFL season. How many people be watching the w
NBA playoffs.
Speaker 4 (01:06:20):
There is game right now.
Speaker 5 (01:06:20):
The links are on top of the Valkyrie seventy to
fifty three, ninety seconds to go in the third quarter.
And in college football, ESPN reported already that You Sealing
has fired head coach to Sean Foster, and they have
confirmed that Virginia Tech has also fired head coach Brent Pride.
Speaker 1 (01:06:35):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:06:35):
Wow, Well, I mean the Hoky's also off to an
zero and three start. So look, it's professional sports now,
it's not the college wab anymore.
Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
Get a taste of what it's like in the professional ranks.
You don't win, pay kids, we lose, We don't pay.
We don't pay kids. We fired coaches. Exactly, we're paying
the kids now, and so we got to win. And
that's that's it. That tells you everything in THEO.
Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
You'd be hard pressed, seriously, in the history of college
football to see two coaches at major schools fired after
three games. That does not happen often. But that's where
we are with college football right now. Once again, end

show posted right after we get off the air. All right,
closing in on the end of first half. It gives
it an opportunity to look ahead. Very interesting matchup this
(01:07:42):
afternoon as the Broncos are on the road against the Colts.
Last week, the Broncos took care of business against the Titans,
but they did not look good. Bo Nick struggled twenty
five completions for just one hundred and seventy six yards
two interceptions in that game. The defense, obviously on again
stay rookie making his debut, held down the Titans, so
(01:08:03):
they got away with a victory. So the question is,
and again I'm all in with the Broncos. I've been
saying that there might pick to win the AFC West.
Certainly not based on what I saw week one, but
they are slight favorites on a Colts team that blew
out the Dolphins last week and Daniel Jones that look
really good. It's interesting that the Broncos are favored in
(01:08:23):
this game, even though it's in Indianapolis.
Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
A very interesting game when I was writing all my
notes down because now we're gonna find out was it
Miami last week exactly or was it the Colts. We're
gonna find this out. Guys like the NFL and That's
what I love about. Sooner or later we can sit
around and chop chop chop talk tall tall poke poke poke.
But sooner or later we don't put the pads on
these other room and put the pads on the put
(01:08:49):
them in on bucket of chins track. They go make
the plays and make it happen. We'll find out exactly now.
Is this Coats defense good? I think it is. The
defense has been good the last two years. This is
not a bad defense. They just can't settle at the
quarterback position and they've had to actually reset things, you know,
as a too. It completes a long bomb to my
man Tyreek Hill finally get Tyreek going his first thirty
(01:09:11):
yard catch. I believe, Hey, listen, I'm telling you right now,
and I mean, if you broke it to us, there's
a lot of buzz. He's out. I would I would
if this persists, I said, if this persists, I would
think to move on. I just think there's some chemistryt
things there. But with bow Nicks, it's early. I believe
in Sean. Sean Payton is a Hall of Fame coach.
(01:09:31):
He's a super Bowl winning coach. I would probably put
him in my top ten or twelve NFL coaches of
all time if I threw a lot, Oh yeah, if
I took the time to throw a list together. You
don't think Sean Payt can make the top twelve NFL
coaches of all time? I'd say top twenty five. No, no, no,
here's my thing though, But then Brees can't be. Then
Drew Brees can't be top five of the top sixty
(01:09:52):
because that was his head coach. See this is where
we get into this conundrum with these these lists that
we put together.
Speaker 2 (01:09:57):
All right, whould you say it's a better coach Sean
Payne or Tony Dungee Tony? Okay, well, there's a Hall
of Fame guy ahead, ton.
Speaker 1 (01:10:05):
I think if you look.
Speaker 2 (01:10:06):
At those, I think there's something like twenty coaches in
the Pro Football Hall of Fame. If you look at
that list, you're like, right, I mean Sean Payton, look
at it. I agree with the Hall of Fame. Okay, okay,
he Carroll's the Hall of Fame. Here's Sean Payton's a
Hall of fame. Mike Tomlin is a Hall of fame.
Speaker 1 (01:10:21):
Carol the Hall of Famer for the Seahawks. Are we
gonna put him, maybe gonna No, remember.
Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
If you're gonna put Sean Payton and his numbers are
almost identical. Plus he got the two Super Bowls and
not one. Okay, all right, okay, and then and then
you've got Sean Harbaugh and you got Mike Tomlin. Those
are the four coaches. I mean, Andy Reid obviously, current
guys right now are all right. I mean, they're going
to be in the conversation. But remember there's a lot
of coaches. Mike Hongrin is still not in the Hall
of Fame, Mike Shanahan is still not in the Hall
(01:10:50):
of Fame.
Speaker 1 (01:10:50):
Coach, they're not in, I know, but they are, but
they will and they need to be. Now, I didn't
know that Mike Shanahan is not in. No, that's terrible.
That's terrible. Two super Bowls, hair not all exactly and
not just went to Super Bowl, created a whole coaching
tree and gave us ten head coaches. By the ways
it matter, the Bears.
Speaker 2 (01:11:07):
Scored right, and I said, ah, going in the half,
guess what happened. The Lions went right down the field.
So there's two seconds for mating. Actually, they actually put
extra time on so six seconds, right, and so they
put it at six seconds second in goal for the Lions,
and they are at the or is it first and
goal right now?
Speaker 1 (01:11:26):
I guess there was a penalty. It's first and goal.
So what happened was Isaac to slaw their rookie made
a catch near the near the the the the the
out of bounds, and I guess there's some question about
when exactly the Lions lined up and spiked the ball
and how much time is left?
Speaker 2 (01:11:44):
All right, So right now they've put six seconds on
the clock, first and goal for the Lions, and they
are leading the Bears by a score of twenty one
to fourteen. Jared goffin this game, big first half, fifteen
or twenty one, one hundred and eighty seven yards passing
in this game. So he seems to have bounced back
after a rough start last week. Caleb wins again throwing
(01:12:05):
the ball well fourteen and nineteen. He has a couple
of scores to Roma dunes here, So we'll keep our
eye on this first and goal play.
Speaker 1 (01:12:12):
I guess how many plays are you going to get
off here?
Speaker 2 (01:12:15):
Really?
Speaker 1 (01:12:15):
One say I would kick a field goal right here?
What are they doing?
Speaker 2 (01:12:18):
They're going to go for one play, quick play to
the end zone and it has caught touchdown.
Speaker 1 (01:12:23):
Ah that wow, Well what kind of coverage?
Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
Well, I mean again, you're talking about one of the
best receivers in the NFL, and he was able to
get a little space and Jared got can deliver that
pass and he did right on the money. So instead
of down seven and a half time, now the Lions
are up by two scores.
Speaker 1 (01:12:40):
Are they posting that touchdown? They should be posting it
because I think it was what happened here.
Speaker 2 (01:12:45):
Why haven't they not posted a touchdown? This is a
touchdown you got two feet in absolutely.
Speaker 1 (01:12:50):
Called his high school games. You guys know he's from
modern day. Yeah it is yeah, modern day out here
man in Orange County. I called his games state championship
game that he played in and that they actually won. Same
been see that case. He's he's seventeen years old, right.
Speaker 2 (01:13:02):
So Lions will go into the half winning on the
extra point. Right now, with a two touchdown lead over
the Bears.
Speaker 6 (01:13:08):
We have an update on Joe Burrow from the Bengals
that he has a left toe injury. Is the game questionable?
Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
Questionable for the rest of the game, Jake Browning and
for the Bengals right now, trying to hang in.
Speaker 1 (01:13:20):
All right, We'll continue on with coverage.
Speaker 2 (01:13:21):
Is we are already opening up second half surround the
National Football League. Nine games in progress. This is end
Zone Radio.
Speaker 1 (01:13:29):
Six seconds remaining. Lions come to the line. The clock
is not moving. It'll start on the snap. Goff works
out of the gun. There's the snap, Jared back, Jared
looking pros and the touchdown to Troy Lions IM and
Ross Saint Crown. I see you, Oh that is so big.
Speaker 2 (01:13:45):
The rookie makes the catch that steps up the Lions
for the touchdown, and it's the federal nomen raw who
makes the craft for the score ninety seven to one.
That take it, Lions Radio Network. I'm on Ross Saint
brown Sakes catch is one hundred yards in the first half.
In that score, Jared Goff on the mark sixteen to
twenty one hundred and ninety one yards, two touchdowns and
(01:14:06):
zero picks. Once again, we're in the Fox Sports Radio
studios and Zone Radio, and the show is sponsored by DraftKings.
Stay tuned because you can hear more about DraftKings and
all it has to offer throughout the show.
Speaker 1 (01:14:17):
DraftKings. The crown is yours, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
Let's get you updated right now on scores around the
National Football League, some of these games already into the
second half. Jaguars and Bengals tied to the excuse me,
Jaguars leading the Bengals seventeen to ten at the half,
Giants over the Cowboys thirteen ten at the half, mentioned
the Lions twenty eight to fourteen over the Bears of
the half. Just underway in the second half, and the
(01:14:40):
Rams are trailing the Titans thirteen to ten. Who saw
that happening? The Dolphins have bounced back. Vj's happy. They
now lead the Patriots after spotting them at twelve NT.
Thee lead Dolphins seventeen to fifteen after an early field
goal in the second half. We got nine minutes to
go in the half. There halftime forty nine, Ers leading
the Saints sixteen seven, just underwigh in the second half,
(01:15:02):
Bill's over the Jets twenty to three.
Speaker 1 (01:15:04):
Third quarter scorer.
Speaker 2 (01:15:05):
Steelers still leading the Seahawks by a score of fourteen
to ten, and the Ravens right now have a third
and goal at the Brown six yard line. Thirteen minutes
to go in the third quarter there and the Ravens
lead the Browns by a score of ten to three.
So a couple things here, Rams are struggling. Let's let's
go to the man sporting the Matthew Stafford jersey right now.
(01:15:29):
What is happening with the Rams and why are they
struggling offensively against this Tennessee team.
Speaker 6 (01:15:34):
You remember in the offseason when everybody was scrambling to
put Matthew Stafford in like their top five quarterbacks because
he can throw a side on pass every once in
a while, right, It turns out that probably doesn't make
you still a top five quarterback in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (01:15:46):
Who was trying to put him into top everybody.
Speaker 6 (01:15:49):
At Athletics QB they all had him as a franch
top five, top six guy.
Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
Yeah wow, it would just say no, good spoorting the
Stafford jersey.
Speaker 6 (01:15:56):
I still think he's good, but I think he gets
a lot of credit for for throwing aside on pass
every once in a while. He just he threw a
really bad interception right before the end of the half
to give the Titans the ball back on the positive
side of the field. So they're driving right now, Davante,
He's forcing it to DeVante Adams today. But yeah, they're
at the Titans thirteen right now, fourteen right now.
Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
So well, I tell you what I mean. He's twelve
of twenty four, one hundred and fifty two yards, zero
touchdowns and a pick. Their score was that forty five
yard run by Pooka Nakua. Yeah, that was the one
score they've had. Devanta Adams does have ten targets, but
only four catches. Ten targets for Devontae Adams, proving what
(01:16:38):
you're talk about. What's interesting here, Tyler Higbee four targets,
four catches, Pooka Nakua four targets, four catches, Devonte Adams
ten targets, four catches.
Speaker 1 (01:16:49):
That's called forcing. Yeah, when you got that many targets
in the United getting fifty percent of the completion out
of those targets, that's called that's called really forcing.
Speaker 6 (01:16:58):
The last time the Rams were were in the red zone,
they threw three straight passes at Devonte Adams that were
very clearly forced to go to DeVante Adams. It did
not look pretty, and.
Speaker 1 (01:17:07):
I'll tell you it is. I'm still a questioning who
in the world thought to make the conversation, because we've
done Steve and I've done our top five quarterback conversation,
like three weeks in a row. We tossed this thing
around and didn't even top ten. I like him at
about you know, ten or eleven, twelve. I think the last
two years.
Speaker 2 (01:17:25):
Let let's hold it together, though, I mean the last
first of all, two years ago, he looked like he
was done. The year after they y right, you know,
it looked like he was and then.
Speaker 1 (01:17:34):
He had a bounce back year.
Speaker 2 (01:17:35):
In fact, two years ago first time he had actually
legitimately been voted to the Pro Bowl. He had made
it as an alternate one time early in his career
with Detroit. And then last year again the Rams got
off to a slow start and he suddenly picked it
up and the Rams ended up winning the NFC West.
By the way, the Seahawks and Steelers are now tied,
and part of the story of this game is, well,
(01:17:58):
really these two quarterbacks. So Sam Darnold's seventeen to twenty
three to two hundred and four yards couple of scores, but
he's also thrown a couple of picks. Aaron Rodgers seven
of fifteen forty five yards passing. Yeah, I'm sorry, is
Seattle a juggernaut defense.
Speaker 1 (01:18:16):
Yes, defense is better. I guarantee we always agree right
that the Jets defense is better. But I what did
I say? Just felt like last week it was what
look at justin fields? Today they're getting they can't move
the ball. They got three points.
Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
How about this? Pittsford only has one completion over nine
yards and that was for twelve yards.
Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
Well, who's their deep threat? That's the thing you got DK?
But I told you I've been out on DK for
about the last year and a half. Well, he has
two catches for eleven yards. He's a one trick pony.
And I think he's more devish. I think he's more
more issues than he's worse. I think DK is one
of those guys where I know receivers are me guys,
but he's almost like a me guy And like that's it,
(01:18:56):
Like not even a little bit of a team as
I've always viewed him. And they bought him in so
all right.
Speaker 2 (01:19:02):
As we had mentioned earlier, Joe Burrow is suffering an
injury in this game against Jacksonville. But guess what, Jake
Browning has actually led him back to tie this game.
In fact, he's eight of eleven hundred and seven yards
and the score. He did throw a pick of this game,
so he looks okay. Jamar Chase is having a monster game.
Eleven catches, one hundred and thirty one yards and a
(01:19:25):
touchdown for the Bengals.
Speaker 1 (01:19:26):
Just throwing the football. Just throw him to.
Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
Bay by the way, he has a guy twelve targets,
eleven catches.
Speaker 1 (01:19:31):
That's how you do it. Hey, listen with Jake Brownie
and I always say this about quarterbacks that come on
the bitch. How much Jake Browning tape do you think
Jacksonville watched this week? Guys getting prepared? None? None, very little.
So now here comes to this guy. You don't know
his rhythm, you don't know his cadence, you don't know
what he's really good. You might know a little bit
about him, but you know you and you didn't study
(01:19:52):
him the way you study Joe Burrow. So now you
have a different quarterback in and it can really spark
a team or the defense just doesn't know how to
attack the guy because you've got no tape on him.
Jake Browning, when's the last time he's played? All Right?
Speaker 2 (01:20:07):
The Ravens get a field goal to up their lead
to thirteen and three. Is something wrong with Derrick Henry?
Is he even playing? Five carries five yards? Told you
five carries five yards? Twelve and a half minutes to
go on the third quarter, Lamar Jackson twelve to twenty
one hundred and thirty seven yards. This is a really
good Browns defense. They're showing it today. But the Baltimore
(01:20:27):
Ravens have eighteen yards rushing in this game. And get this,
Lamar Jackson doesn't have a single carry.
Speaker 1 (01:20:35):
Steve, if you were Derrick Henry, would you be feeling
good today running?
Speaker 2 (01:20:38):
Well?
Speaker 1 (01:20:39):
You got him? Shake it off. It's easier said than done.
Five carries five yards are said than done. Woof coaches
are calling the places they've been around him for the
last week, right or wrong? Right? The coaches have been
around him, right, guys, But you're only gonna feed him
five times today? All right?
Speaker 2 (01:20:55):
As things heat up, we get ready for the No
Huddle Hour coming up.
Speaker 1 (01:21:01):
This is end Zone Radio.
Speaker 2 (01:21:03):
So many things happening right now on this second Sunday
of the NFL season. Once again end Zone Radio. We're
in the Fox Sports Radio studios. This show is sponsored
by DraftKings. Stay tuned because you're gonna hear more about
DraftKings and all it has to offer throughout the show.
Speaker 1 (01:21:18):
DraftKings. The crown is yours. Yes, it's that time. Do
you know what time it is? No huddle hour?
Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
Oh yeah, this is when things really going over right now.
No huddle hour, No huddle hour, no huddle hour, thank
you very much, no huddle hour. Later on of this hour,
we're gonna have the perfect picks where Chris is gonna
give us a few over underscore games coming up, games
(01:21:47):
tonight and everything else, and we'll make our predictions there
all right.
Speaker 1 (01:21:51):
So, uh wow, a lot of.
Speaker 2 (01:21:53):
Things happening on this very busy second Sunday of the
NFL season. And you know it's at that point whereas
we head down toward the end of the third quarters,
right now, we see games that are very tight. In fact,
I'm looking right now. We got well by the way
during the break, we missed saying it on air. We'll
say it right now. Aaron Rodgers threw a pick in
(01:22:14):
the end zone, although not one hundred percent is fall.
For some reason, two Steeler receivers are right next to
each other, bodies sort of collided, the ball popped up
right into the Seahawks' hands. So Steelers and Seahawks tied
at fourteen. But statistically this has been a rough day
for Aaron Rodgers, who we have that game tied right now,
(01:22:35):
Dolphins with a narrow seventeen to fifteen lead over the Patriots.
Rams and Titans are tied at thirteen, Jaguars and Bengals
tied at seventeen. So yeah, I would say, as we
head into this no huddle hour, we're gonna have some
pretty exciting finishes around the NFL.
Speaker 1 (01:22:50):
Can we also just ask Cleveland they just stop messing
around with this flag oath day either pitt Gil Dylan
game ours your door, Sanders, Joe Flacco, and now seven
quarters of football has mustered a roebus nineteen points. Stop
it people.
Speaker 2 (01:23:10):
Well but remember that, hold on before we say that,
remember who's on deck right now for the Browns in
their schedule. So they got three straight games against the
NFC North. Yeah, and then I believe they are at Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (01:23:24):
He won't make it well, he won't make well.
Speaker 2 (01:23:26):
But the question is, do you want to throw one
of those rookies into the fire against it again?
Speaker 1 (01:23:31):
No? No, no, no, no, no, You're not.
Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
Gonna win anything this year.
Speaker 1 (01:23:36):
Don't do that. So you're not gonna win anything this year.
But let me keep my two rookies on the bitch
so they don't get no game prep, they don't get
no gaming.
Speaker 2 (01:23:43):
Wait and wait, well, I'll tell you. I'll tell you what.
You're at the Ravens. You got the Packers at home,
at the Lions, Vikings at home, at the Steelers.
Speaker 1 (01:23:51):
Those are the next four games. You want to throw
them in there?
Speaker 2 (01:23:53):
Yes, now you got it. There you got you got
uh let's see here. You got the Dolphins at home. Okay,
you're at the Patriots at the Jets. That that's where
you start throwing the kids in. I am not throwing
him at this we are you gonna throw them against
the Packers and Micah Parsons.
Speaker 1 (01:24:09):
No, let them at the Lions. No Vikings at home.
No at the No Steve, you know, I let him
take the ball man. You know, dude, this is this
is this is this is what you do your citizens.
We can't do this. This is against the law. This
is against the law.
Speaker 2 (01:24:25):
They're not number one picks, they weren't top five picks.
Speaker 1 (01:24:28):
Doesn't matter. That is their middle round picks. They'll have
the I would throw these guys in the fire and say, listen,
you're in the end. You're in the NFL. Cleveland Browns
don't do anything right anyway, so why would this be
out of character? Just get get rid of the flakle thing.
He's got nineteen points and seven quarters. Guys, they're not
gonna do nothing.
Speaker 2 (01:24:48):
With alright, slide fifty seven yard field goal for the Titans.
Titans lee the Rams sixteen to thirteen and a half
minutes ago on the third quarter. Not a game we
expected there, And guess who's not done yet? The Saints. Yeah,
they just scored sixteen fourteen now forty nine ers with
the narrow late of course, no brock perty mac Jones
(01:25:08):
has been fine fifteen to twenty four hundred and fifty
one yards, two touchdowns and no picks in this game.
But Spencer Rattler is hanging in. He is also throwing
a couple of touchdown passes in this game. In fact,
he has a passer rating of one twenty two. So
again on paper, here Kamara sixty five yards rushing, McCaffrey
(01:25:28):
only thirty nine yards rushing for the forty nine ers.
So right now, Saints very much. In this game against
the forty nine ers.
Speaker 1 (01:25:35):
It is McCaffrey done.
Speaker 2 (01:25:37):
The McCaffrey we knew as recently is done.
Speaker 1 (01:25:40):
Okay, I mean that McCaffrey is is he's serviceable, yes,
but the idea that he's going to put up some
you know, unbelievable numbers, you know, combining both rushing receivers.
Speaker 2 (01:25:50):
I saw this with o Danien Thomlinson and the Chargers.
You know, one of the all time great running backs
we're talking about it had guy like four hundred touches
a year. It was ridiculous, and had a like about
a five year running and then you know, he really
went downhill after that.
Speaker 1 (01:26:06):
Had one chick, had one chip I call it chip
on the shoulder year with the Jets that.
Speaker 2 (01:26:13):
He had the Jets tattoos on his ankles and he was
so angry at the yard he was he.
Speaker 1 (01:26:17):
Was totally angry at the Chargers, but went there and
had and had what I call I saw the same there.
Reggie Busher when we went to Miami was a thousand
yard rusher, just crept over the thousand yard mark when
he's with the Dolphins that we see this, but you
once again when you put the tape on the explosiveness,
the jump cuts, the acceleration, the things that made us
(01:26:38):
look at Christian McCaffrey and go wow. But let's go
back through his career. Guys, he was banged up in Carolina.
There were times in Carolina he didn't suit up and
he was on the sideline and a T shirt and sweat.
So this is nothing new. But I do think that
we have to start to turn the page on the Niners.
And I'll tell you this, if the Niners screw up
my own seventeen picked for the Saints today, I will
(01:27:00):
never root for them again.
Speaker 2 (01:27:01):
All right, Cowboys listening to this broadcast, heard what you
had to say about their non running game. Javonte Williams said, really,
he just ran thirty yards for a touchdown. Oh, Cowboys,
take us seventeen to thirteen lead over the Giants. Russell
Wilson huge first half, He's slowed down a little bit still,
twenty at twenty five, two hundred and fifty eight yards
and a score. They have no running game right now.
(01:27:22):
Scato is Yeah, seven carries thirteen yards, so they have
no running game. Dak Prescott ordinary numbers to this point
sixteen or twenty five hundred fifty yards a score in
a pick and again, aside from that thirty yard touchdown
run Dallas not much of a running game. But seventeen thirteen,
now Cowboys finally take the lead at home against the Giants.
Speaker 1 (01:27:45):
We might have to put out a watch here real quick.
It's still forty nine ers in the lead. But Spencer
Rattler has a second touchdown. Saw that sixteen fourteen though, Yeah,
he's got it.
Speaker 2 (01:27:56):
So we're just talking about that, so thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (01:27:58):
Unfortunately, I say the heat, I appa tell you like this,
they better not screwed the San Francisco I don't care
who you don't have today, you better not screw up
my own seventeen. I just want to flip to another
game really quick.
Speaker 2 (01:28:10):
By the way, the Dolphins just got another field goal,
so they out there lead over the Patriots to twenty
to fifteen.
Speaker 1 (01:28:15):
This this Rams Tennessee game is it's just so interesting
to me because the Rams have enough talent to go
win this game today, right and we know the record
West Coast teams. Well, we were just talking about the
play the one o'clock, which is a ten to a
m kickoff it matters people, just absolutely. Yeah. When you
when the West Coast teams have to go back east
(01:28:36):
when they play the one fifteen one thirty is different
when they have to play the one PM, which is
ten a m. Here in Los Angeles. It's a The
numbers are not good for those teams. They wake up
a little late. Here's the stat we gave it out before,
ready for this. Puka Nakua seven targets, seven catches, love it,
Tyler Higbee four targets, four catches, love it. Devonte Adams
(01:28:57):
eleven targets, fourches, eleven targets, four catches. So Matthew Stafford
is trying to get on the same page. I not
quite sure what's happening there, but it is stalling the
Rams offense. Only touchdown this game came in the first
quarter on a Pokin Akua run of forty five yards.
Speaker 6 (01:29:21):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:29:21):
And that is that and the titles.
Speaker 6 (01:29:25):
Vj's guy almost just broke a touchdown though.
Speaker 1 (01:29:27):
Blake Korham Blake's my gud man. I love him, and
it was his Russians. I would love to see his
Russian stats away he has nineteen yards. Yeah, he just had.
Speaker 6 (01:29:36):
He got tripped up at the end, but he almost
took it to the house. Uh, do you mind if
I provide you guys with a quick injury update on
he received an MRI I uh and he left the
MRI on one of those like scooters. That one a
scooter that you have to me. The surprising the hear
is that the Bengals have an MRI machine in their stadium. Yeah,
(01:29:57):
you know that has to cost a lot of money.
Speaker 7 (01:29:59):
That's a lot lot of money to Mike brown By
also like you kind of have to anticipate it.
Speaker 1 (01:30:03):
That's far right, But he's here all week, ladies and gentlemen,
mister buch, it's actually true.
Speaker 2 (01:30:09):
Speaking of the Bengals, they're trailing now to Jacksonville twenty
four to seventeen as Trevor Lawrence is thrown his third
touchdown pass of the game, this time to his buddy
Travis etn So. Three touchdowns, two picks for Trevor Lawrence.
But it's enough right now is Jacksonville leads this game
twenty four to seventeen. But you know, getting back to
the Bengals, let's face it, Joe Burrow did not play
(01:30:31):
well last week and he wasn't really lighting up this week.
He was under pressure. He had been sacked a couple
of times before he went down with the injury, So
you know, I was you know, I was back and
forth with the Bengals. Can they sneak in as a
wild card in that division's hard read? I mean, how
good is Aaron Rodgers going to be for the Steelers?
(01:30:53):
And this is not a good start for the Bengals
season at all, especially if they lose this game at
home to Jacksonville. There's enough team Jacksonville. You know last
year was a catastrophe for this team.
Speaker 1 (01:31:04):
Is there still a bounceback?
Speaker 2 (01:31:07):
Is there is there still reason to even have a
conversation about Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 1 (01:31:13):
Yes, there is, because remember Trevor Lawrence was one of
my quarterbacks that had like, this isn't making a break
a year. I had four guys that just four quarterbacks.
This is making a breaker for different reasons. First, my
guy oohs to it. We all know the reasons. We
don't have to explain them anymore. We know why this
is a make or break a year for Tua Takabaya
law also Lamar Jackson. We know why we don't have
(01:31:35):
to go through it. Josh Allen, we know why we
don't have to go through it. And then I put
Trevor Lawrence on that list because we can't continue every
year to keep giving guys these chants. Listen, you are
what you are, It is what it is you can be.
You can still be a good quarterback in the NFL.
But are you that guy that they keep telling us
that you are going to be or that you should
(01:31:57):
have been already? Trevor Lawrence is on that list. He's
got to go get this due No, no, Burrow, you
better go get this one today, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:32:04):
Couple updates. The forty nine Ers get a field goal,
so they increase their lead to nineteen fourteen over the Saints.
The Rams have just scored here it is what was
the score there for the Rams? How they get into
the end zone?
Speaker 6 (01:32:17):
I believe it was. I genuinely don't know his name.
I think it's Davis Allen. He's a tight end all.
Speaker 1 (01:32:23):
Eight yards.
Speaker 6 (01:32:23):
He's a Madden creative pie.
Speaker 2 (01:32:24):
So we're waiting on the extra point right now. Rams
leading the Titans nineteen sixteen, penning the extra point, and
the Giants got a field goal. Russell Wilson's now over
three hundred yards passing against Dallas. With five and a
half vass go on the third quarter, Giants settle for
a field goal. Cowboys still lead that game seventeen to sixteen.
That's why we call the no Huddle Hour because things
(01:32:46):
heat up.
Speaker 1 (01:32:48):
Stay with us. This is end Zone Radio, No huddle Hour.
Speaker 2 (01:32:52):
Second and goal, Saints having up for three this time,
Rallery doesn't hand it off.
Speaker 1 (01:32:58):
It makes the pass and he throws it to the
Saint seed who stores the touchdown of the corner of
the end zone.
Speaker 2 (01:33:07):
That's WWL Saints Radio Network, Saints hanging in. They have
you got the ball right now, minute a half to
go on the third quarter, trailing the forty nine Ers
by a score of nineteen to fourteen.
Speaker 1 (01:33:18):
This is end Zone Radio, No huddle Hour, No huddle Hour.
Speaker 2 (01:33:22):
Steve Harbin, VJ. Husky with you here, Fox Sports Radio Studios.
All right, BJ time now for another Draft Kings pick. Yes,
DraftKings picks. Man, I'm one fire today.
Speaker 1 (01:33:33):
I am on a roll. I can't stop laughing at myself.
Let's focus back on that Falcons and Vikings game. Draftking
giving him seventy percent chance the Vikings to win that
game three and a half points the over under on
a forty four and a half. So I want to
focus on JJ McCarthy's passing yards. They got to set
it a plus two to twenty. That's a minus one
oh seven. You're not making any money there. If you
(01:33:54):
want to jump up to a plus two hundred and
thirty yards, is that plus one twenty one. I'm gonna
go and be an overachiever. JJ McCarthy. Take them on
plus two fifty passing yards tonight. It's a plus one
ninety six. You put ten bucks up, you get ninety
six bucks. You put a hundred up, you get to
(01:34:14):
almost three hundred dollars back in your pocket. JJ McCarthy tonight,
plus two fifty passing yards on a plus one night.
I'm gonna remember this pick. Do please?
Speaker 2 (01:34:26):
Do you guys know I know you're not scared, but
it might be scare a little bit of too much
too soon for the rookie.
Speaker 1 (01:34:32):
We'll see. By the way, technically he's not a rookie.
I want to make that clear.
Speaker 2 (01:34:36):
Even though he did not play a single game last year,
he is not eligible for Rookie of the Year in
the NFL.
Speaker 1 (01:34:43):
Those are the rules.
Speaker 2 (01:34:45):
It's about draft class as opposed to actually playing games
he can, they'll win comeback Player.
Speaker 1 (01:34:49):
Of the Year, right, which I think he might. Now
here's the thing that's different than the NBA. It is
because the NBA, listen right, Blake Griffiths was able to
be Rookie of the Year even eve though he was
drafted the year correct prior. I think the NFL has
different rules about it. So, unfortunately for McCarthy, not eligible
for rook of the Year. By the way, Jake Browning
(01:35:11):
has just gotten the Bengals tied up with the Jaguars.
So Joe Burrow went out with a toe injury. He
is out of this game.
Speaker 2 (01:35:19):
So Jake Browny has come in eleven to fifteen, one
hundred and sixty five yards and a couple of scores
in this game is Jamar Chase eleven catches, one hundred
and thirty one yards, so twenty four all right, now,
Jacksonville and Cincinnati. That game just ended the third quarter.
The Lions have finished off the hapless Bears thirty eight
(01:35:42):
to fourteen. They got another fifteen minutes in the pit
here they got to We got way too many close games.
Speaker 1 (01:35:50):
To keep that game on.
Speaker 2 (01:35:51):
Get that thing off, please, Jared Goff eighteen to twenty three,
two hundred ninety nine yards, three touchdowns, no picks.
Speaker 1 (01:35:58):
So they are absolutely dis antlin a Bears team.
Speaker 2 (01:36:01):
That anyone that really thought the Bear is going to
have a breakout season premature, Maure.
Speaker 1 (01:36:07):
They got ways to go.
Speaker 6 (01:36:08):
Do you think the Bears, in their newfound ability to
fire guys with time remain on contracts and may want
to look at the gen Well, I think everybody again
just gave a five year extension to in the offseason.
Speaker 2 (01:36:19):
When you have repeat offenses in terms of losing, despite
the coach, despite the quarterback, despight everything, that's an organizational problem, yes,
and there are many teams like that. The Jets have
an organizational problem. The Bears have an organizational problem, by
the way, Bills do not, and they are just absolutely
throttling those Jets. I mentioned thirty to three James Cook
(01:36:42):
by the way, twenty one carries one hundred and thirty
two yards.
Speaker 1 (01:36:47):
Rushing, two touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (01:36:49):
You doing it, that is what you do right there,
justin fields three of eleven twenty seven yards. He also
got sacked twice, so they eight net yards passing in
this game.
Speaker 1 (01:37:04):
The game of the week in the early slate last week.
The Steelers and the Jets flip around. As I said earlier, guys,
look at what they look like today when they don't
have the motivation of going and playing against their team.
They didn't think they can do it anymore. It's seventeen
total points between those two teams today and Rodgers looks bad,
(01:37:24):
justin fields looks bad. The Steelers. I told you in
my prediction our Prediction show, this is gonna be Mike
Tomlin's first under five hundred years. This is the steel guys.
This team we're watching right now that's playing, as we
mentioned last segment, a West Coast team from as west
as you can be. The Seattle Seahawks fly to Pittsburgh
to play this one PN ten am West Coast start,
(01:37:47):
and they're beating them by ten. This is a game
Pittsburgh could not have dropped today. And this is the
Pittsburgh team.
Speaker 3 (01:37:52):
That we have.
Speaker 2 (01:37:53):
All right, keep this in mind. On to two is
not fatal. No, your odds are against you. Twelve percent
of teams that start to actually end up in the postseason,
which is why it's a big game between the Patriots
and the Dolphins, and the Patriots scored on a Drake
may keeper twenty three to twenty. He got a two
point conversion of make up for the two missed kicking
(01:38:13):
extra points earlier in the game.
Speaker 1 (01:38:15):
And the Dolphins just had a punt.
Speaker 2 (01:38:17):
So the uh Patriots have the ball back right now
with a three point lead, twelve minutes to go in
the fourth quarter. So again, not fatal, but it puts
you up against the odds. Twelve percent of teams that
start zing to actually end up in the postseason.
Speaker 1 (01:38:32):
So listen, I got on a limb. Whoever loses this
game is not going to the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (01:38:36):
Wow, Tyreek Hill, by the way, now, a nice bounce
back game. Five targets, five catches, ninety six yards.
Speaker 1 (01:38:41):
Yeah, I had a great bounce back game. But who
wore just miss waddle on the out right now on
third down on the last possession. Now was little things
like that you just can't do. You can't give up
drives now.
Speaker 2 (01:38:51):
Twel that was only his thirteen completion of the game.
I meantically two has had a huge game.
Speaker 1 (01:38:56):
I's been on today. They've been able to run the football.
But once again, and I like Anthony Weaver, and I
thought Anthony Weaver did a good job last year. The
Dolphins finished with the number eight ring defense in the
NFL last year because people thought Anthony Weaver came in
and brought a new style. But now we need these
guys on the field to kind of step up broad in.
Miko Fitzpatrick moved off from Jalen for Jalen Ramsey, Chop Robinson,
(01:39:18):
you get Phillips back, you get Chubbed back. I expected
to see a much better pass rush up front for
the Dolphins than I've seen so far this seasons. And
that's on Anthony Weaver. Fall start on the Patriots here
to back them up even deeper, helps up the Dolphins
to start this drive. All right.
Speaker 2 (01:39:33):
The Rams have taken the twenty to sixteen lead over
the Titans. We got twelve minutes to go in the
fourth quarter in that game. Again, if I'm the Rams,
I'm looking at Puka Nakua. Eight targets, eight catches, ninety
one yards, supposed he has a forty five yard touchdown run. Instead,
they've been trying to force the ball to Devonda Adams
twelve targets, only five catches there. Matthew Stafford overall decent
(01:39:54):
numbers twenty and twenty nine to two to forty touchdown
and a pick. Not much of a running game, Kyron
Williams only thirty yards on the ground for the Rams
and cam Ward They're not asking to do too much.
Tony Pollard's had a good game running the ball against
the Rams. Eighteen carries for eighty one yards in this game.
Cam Ward twelve to twenty one, one thirty four a touchdown,
most important staff for the kid.
Speaker 1 (01:40:17):
No interceptions in this game. So right now the Titans
still and if you.
Speaker 2 (01:40:21):
Look at the Rams last week, you know that was
that was a grind out victory against the Texans fourteen
to nine. Really didn't do a whole lot offensively last
week and just grinded out a win.
Speaker 1 (01:40:35):
Had a big fumble recovery late.
Speaker 2 (01:40:36):
In that game to pull it out. Seahawks have now
opened up a twenty four to fourteen lead on the
road against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Sam Darnold has a couple
of touchdown passes in this game. Kenneth Walker big game,
twelve carries for eighty six yards. That's seven plus yards
that carry. Cooper Kopp, who really did nothing last week,
(01:40:58):
seven catches for eighty yards. So suddenly Sam Darnold is
finding Cooper Cup on the receiving end for Aaron Rodgers. Yeah,
don't ask. Thirteen to twenty five, only one hundred and
fifty six yards, a touchdown and a pick. And they
have no running game in Pittsburgh, which is a bad
thing because when you think Steelers, you think running game
and right now, Jalen Warren not getting the job done.
Speaker 1 (01:41:21):
Well, they thought they could let Najie Harris walk out
the door and come sign out here in LA and
thought that was gonna somehow fix their problems and replace
whatever that they had, you know, And it's just it's
all tell tale, man, Like when you see these moves
made in the offseason and you comment about them and
people go no, no, no, you don't know this or
this or okay, when when you put the tape on
(01:41:41):
to put them on the field, then why can't they
run the football? Then if Najie Harris just wasn't took
back for the all Naja Harris did was just.
Speaker 2 (01:41:48):
Play every game, sixty eight straight starts he did starts
at the running back position four years, sixty eight straight games,
sixty eight straight starts.
Speaker 1 (01:41:57):
He's a four yard runner. Yeah, and you want to
let you want to get that guy out of and
you want that guy out of the system and out
of here. They didn't want to pay him, man, Look
they didn't want to pay him. Look, well they're gonna
be paying for it right now because Aaron Rodgers is
getting helped off the ground after getting sandwiched on a
slow one of the slowest scrambles I've ever seen in
my life by two Seahawks defenders getting slammished and then
(01:42:18):
getting slammed down to the ground. That Cam Kim Pittsburgh
is not gonna end. Well, guys, I'm telling you.
Speaker 6 (01:42:23):
Kim wore just got sacked, fumbled, and Natel returned that
to about the Titans one yard line.
Speaker 2 (01:42:29):
Wow, okay, and the forty nine ers I see just
got in the end zone as well. We got a
lot going on, and there's only one person to keep
us up to date on all of that. To talk
about what's trending right now here. She is once again, Matziblano.
You never mentioned once about your fantasy teams.
Speaker 4 (01:42:46):
Well, because this is how confused I am, Steve and VJ.
Speaker 5 (01:42:50):
I was telling the guys that, like I this morning,
I didn't wear a Charger shirt because they're not playing
until Monday, right. So I was like, oh, put on
my Joe Brochuer. I need him to play well for
my fantasy team.
Speaker 4 (01:43:00):
Your girls on crack. I don't even have him on
my team. That's what happens when we have five teams.
I can't do it, you guys, I legit thought I
had him on a team. I know I'm not doing
this anymore. I can't do it.
Speaker 3 (01:43:08):
I don't like it.
Speaker 4 (01:43:09):
I went back and I was like, no, I don't
have him at all.
Speaker 1 (01:43:11):
Still very proud of you.
Speaker 4 (01:43:12):
No, I never did.
Speaker 2 (01:43:13):
That's a good thing because whoever does have Joe Burrow
is he had a bad game last week and now
he's hurt.
Speaker 4 (01:43:18):
I know, legit, but look, I Banana, No, no.
Speaker 1 (01:43:22):
You good money. I told I'm proudy. I'm proud of you.
Speaker 11 (01:43:25):
Girl.
Speaker 1 (01:43:25):
You stepped out.
Speaker 4 (01:43:26):
You went with this story.
Speaker 1 (01:43:27):
You're so proud of me, that's right.
Speaker 4 (01:43:29):
With this story.
Speaker 5 (01:43:30):
Okay, you should be prouder of me than you should
be of the Steelers. So you mentioned Steve that the
Seahawks took a lead twenty four to seventeen. Seahawks had
scored and then they kicked it off and see our
Steelers rookie running back Caleb Johnson.
Speaker 4 (01:43:46):
He muffed the kickoff. I wouldn't even say that. He
just did it catch it and it touched.
Speaker 5 (01:43:51):
Him and it was in the landing zone and then
he didn't fall on it when it landed in the
end zone and the Steelers landed on it, or excuse
to be the Seahawks landed on it, and that's how
they got a quick seven points.
Speaker 2 (01:44:01):
Wow, that's what happened there.
Speaker 1 (01:44:03):
So we just called like that Jets, like that Jets
kid from last year.
Speaker 4 (01:44:06):
We cut no, and he didn't even move and it
like touched he like missed it. It touched his helmet,
it looked like and he didn't go for it.
Speaker 5 (01:44:12):
And then yep, that's that is how the Seahawks got
such easy seven points.
Speaker 4 (01:44:17):
Twenty four seventeen.
Speaker 5 (01:44:18):
He was a score halfway through the fourth quarter, early
in the fourth all Bills so far against the Jets,
thirty to three. By the way, Justin Fields was in
the medical tenth so Tyron Taylor Toron Taylor.
Speaker 4 (01:44:27):
He was in for the Jets again thirty to three
early in the fourth.
Speaker 5 (01:44:31):
Also early in the fourth in Baltimore, Ravens on top
of the Browns twenty to ten early in the fourth
in New Orleans, but the forty nine ers Arcel on
top twenty six to fourteen. Mac Jones, who was in
for the injured brock Perty twenty three of thirty three
two hundred and fifty three yards and three touchdowns for
San Francisco. The Patriots back on top of the Dolphins
twenty three to twenty halfway through the fourth quarter, but
to Tako bay Loo seventeen of twenty two hundred and
(01:44:53):
twenty four yards and two touchdowns. The Rams over the
Titans twenty to sixteen early in the fourth. Still in
the third quarter in Detroit between the Bears and the Lions,
but it's been all lined so far. Thirty thirty eight
to fourteen is the score. Jared Goff has thrown three
touchdown passes. His latest one was to Jamison Williams. Javonte
Javonte What am I thinking? Javonte Turpin? Is that who
(01:45:13):
scored for the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 4 (01:45:14):
Javonte Williams, thank you.
Speaker 5 (01:45:16):
He had a rushing touchdown thirty yard rushing touchdown Cowboys
at top of the Giants twenty to sixteen early in
the fourth and it has been back and forth between
the Jaguars and the Bengals. Joe Burrow has been officially
ruled out with that left toe injury. Jaggs just took
the lead on a field goal. Twenty seven to twenty
four is the score early in the fourth quarter. Round
(01:45:36):
one of the WNBA playoffs continue after the first quarter
the fever on top of the dream twenty one to eighteen.
The Links defeated the Valkyries one oh one to seventy two.
And in case you missed it, in college football, UCLA
has fired head coach to Sean Foster. Virginia Tech has
fired head coach Brent.
Speaker 2 (01:45:52):
Pry Back to you guys, by the way, you mentioned
Rod Taylor as well as the Tyrod ten So this
was so funny. I don't know how it even came
up in conversation with the media, but he he said,
my name has always been Torod. My mother is always
from the day I was born, it's Tarrod Taylor. And
people call me Tyrod Taylor because they see the t y,
(01:46:13):
like you know, ty Cobb, so Tyrod Taylor and he's like,
but he doesn't really care. It's just like it's used
to people calling him Tyrod be, he goes. I find
it funny because my whole life, I've been to Rod Taylor.
When he was at Tech, it was Tyrod Taylor.
Speaker 1 (01:46:26):
They made it. When he was at Virginia Tech, it
was Kirk Herbs. He called him. Everybody that called the
games Fowler, they all called him Tyrod Taylor.
Speaker 2 (01:46:36):
So I started calling him Trod, stopped calling him Tyrod Taylor.
I used to say this constantly, So Tarad, don't call
me Tyrod Taylor once again. We're here in the Fox

All right, the Rams have scored again? What do we
have an update on that one? Has They now increased
the lead to twenty seven to sixteen over.
Speaker 6 (01:47:18):
The Titansante Adams first touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (01:47:20):
R there it is Adams.
Speaker 1 (01:47:23):
Can we talk about this touchdown that put the Seahawks
in front of the Steelers.
Speaker 2 (01:47:28):
We have to we we we talked on the update
we had the fumbled the muff kickoff.
Speaker 1 (01:47:33):
I how much I'm I know Caleb Johnson is a rookie,
but like, you can't put a rookie in these kind
of kickoff things that where they just don't know the rules. Yeah,
well he's supposed to know the rules though, Yeah, I
mean that's coaching, that's yeah, that's no. But I mean
it is foreigned him.
Speaker 2 (01:47:51):
Obviously, they don't have these rules in college.
Speaker 1 (01:47:53):
So this is how you made the team though. You
made the team as the kick returner, so you got
to know what the hell to do when you're back there.
I'm not giving and a kid no excuses for making
a play like that. That's that's just that's inexcuse me,
that's inexcusable. I just watch I just watched it. As
the Dolphins looked like they're gonna take a punt back
here for touchdown. Hello, if no flags are on the field,
(01:48:13):
how about that?
Speaker 2 (01:48:14):
So the Dolphins retake the lead here against the Patriots
on the return twenty six to twenty three penn in
the extra point seven eighteen to go in that game,
By the way, the Giants have retaken the lead over
the Dallas Cowboys twenty three to twenty twelve minutes to go.
There latest score for the Giants.
Speaker 1 (01:48:34):
Right there was a.
Speaker 2 (01:48:37):
One yard touchdown RUMs Scataboo right there for the New
York Giants. So the Giants lead the Cowboys. Wow again,
talk about oh, and two cowboys could.
Speaker 1 (01:48:46):
Go to oau. I was just about to ask you
who who's who can't go?
Speaker 12 (01:48:51):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:48:51):
The two worst guys, the Cowboys or the Chiefs. It's
scata boo.
Speaker 6 (01:48:55):
It's it's pronounced boo, not bo The interesting thing about
that Giants bow. The interesting about that Giants game is
that Jackson Dart went in to the ball to camps kataboo.
Speaker 1 (01:49:03):
So wow, it might be getting lad early for USS.
Speaker 2 (01:49:07):
Yes, Wow, Okay, Russell Wilson going back to that Giants
twenty three twenty lead over the Cowboys twenty two or
twenty nine, three hundred and twenty two.
Speaker 1 (01:49:15):
Yards and a score right there.
Speaker 2 (01:49:18):
Dak Prescot has only thrown for one hundred and seventy
seven yards in this game, and Cam scataboo is I
guess now the Giants lead rusher.
Speaker 1 (01:49:27):
I guess he's sort of the guy.
Speaker 2 (01:49:29):
He's had an interesting career, certainly on the karija level
one from an FCS school Sacramento State to becoming an
All American top five finisher in the Heisman Trophy at
Arizona State.
Speaker 1 (01:49:39):
That's crazy. I call a lot of guys that pop
up in the NFL. When he's at Sacramento State. I
called a game we played against cal Poly San luis
O Bisbo. Yeah, exactly for the Big Sky. When I
was working for another sports network. He was the running
back there. I mean he became like a folk here. Yeah,
State absolutely and rightfully so. But this giant, this Giants team,
(01:50:01):
he mentioned Jackson Dark gets in there. You and I
both thought he should have been the starter because you're
not gonna be that good this year. Your coaches on
the hot seat. And remember Daboll is supposed to be
the quarterback whisper at least won them. Right, there's a
few in the NFL. He's supposed to be one of them.
What are you doing with what are you doing with
Russell Wild start the young Buckaroo? Yeah, I mean fails,
(01:50:22):
you gotta vet to go to. I much rather have
to go to the VET than the VET fail and
have to go to the rookie. The same thing I'm
saying about Cleveland this.
Speaker 2 (01:50:32):
Well again, you got two coaches, stefan Ski and Dabel
on the hot seat.
Speaker 1 (01:50:36):
You gotta on games.
Speaker 2 (01:50:38):
Do I trust some rookie quarterback with my fate unless
you're gonna guarantee me The organization says, look, you're safe,
play the rookie. If you're not hearing that, the heck
with that. I'm playing the veteran quarterback. Okay, and now
you know what fair points? So do you know what
I'm doing? Says, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:50:57):
I might as well put the rook in because the
rook isn't gonna do anything worse than what the vet's
gonna give me. We're seeing that right now.
Speaker 2 (01:51:06):
Jon Wilson's playing lights out today.
Speaker 1 (01:51:08):
He's playing lights out today. But I think a little
bit of this, as I said earlier in the show,
has a little bit to do with Dallas being a
little rusty coming off from playing opening Thursday night. It's
been a little while, and that's coming off for preseason
where the starters don't play a lot, especially on the
offensive side of the ball. Back today, twenty two to
thirty one, one seventy seven a touchdown in the pick.
Now twenty two completions for only one seventy seven. That
(01:51:29):
doesn't sound right to me. Twenty two completions should at
least be about two twenty to two thirty yards.
Speaker 2 (01:51:34):
Jared Goff has got numbers to believe in. How about
twenty one to twenty six hundred and twenty two yards,
four touchdowns, no picks.
Speaker 7 (01:51:41):
He just for a second touchdown. I'm on Ross Saint Brown, yeah,
amamras Saint Brown has u second touchdown. He catches one
hundred eleven yards and two touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (01:51:50):
By the way, a perfect passer rating is one point
fifty eight point three. Jared Goff today is that at
one point fifty seven point nine, So he is more
tense of a point away from a perfect passer rating.
Big rebound for the Lions and a disastrous day for
the Bears.
Speaker 1 (01:52:07):
I was about to bring up the Bears and now
can we really put the rest your way of a second?
Speaker 2 (01:52:12):
Now you're basing JJ McCarthy's big game going against a
Bears team.
Speaker 1 (01:52:16):
That the Lions are throttling. I'm basing JJ McCarthy's fourth
quarter just on JJ mccarthyady, it made a pick about
his big game coming up late. I think he will
throw forverd to fifty today. Absolutely, that's not based off
of what I saw last week. That's just JJB and
my guy. I mean, I'm forever indebted to him. Okay,
fifteen to no National Championship twenty twenty three, forever indebt,
I'd say, J McCarthy, guys, just get over it. It
(01:52:36):
is going to be well Caleb today, fifteen to twenty
five one. He's got the two touchdowns, but once again
another pick, like another turnover. It just right, but it
just doesn't look good.
Speaker 6 (01:52:47):
Well, well, Caleb Williams is playing right now. There's another
top pic Drake May and his team that scored on
the kickoff return for a tow Are.
Speaker 2 (01:52:53):
You kidding me? Watch this?
Speaker 1 (01:52:57):
This is through traffic.
Speaker 3 (01:52:59):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:53:00):
So the Patriots retake the lead on the kick return,
so return city. I don't think anyone thought this was
gonna be this level of a shootout between the Patriots
are adulphe.
Speaker 1 (01:53:12):
Maybe let's go. Let's go allright, six to go to.
Speaker 2 (01:53:15):
Game of to day, all right, So waiting on the
extra point right now, which is good. So the Patriots
retake the lead thirty to twenty seven over the Dolphins.
Still plenty of times, seven minutes to go in the
fourth quarter there, all right, We got craziness all over
the place right now. The Seahawks scored again thirty one
seventeen over the Steelers. Sam Darnold in this game a
(01:53:38):
couple of touchdowns, but the key here for the Seahawks
today is Kenneth Walker. Over one hundred yards rushing in
this game, one hundred and five on just thirteen carries.
That's eight yards of pop and a touchdown. So that
has been the difference in this game. Aaron Rodgers has
struggled just one hundred and sixty yards through the year.
Probably didn't see this one coming, but the Seahawks, because
(01:54:01):
we were saying, you know how, that's another team, was like,
I don't know. I mean, Sam Darnold gonna be anywhere
near the guy we saw a year ago with the Vikings.
Where are we with the Seahawks. They've seemed to have
been a bubble team for several years now. They were
that way with Geno Smith ever since Russell Wilson left,
it's sort of been like, okay, where are the Seahawks?
And honestly, more often than not, they've been better than
(01:54:24):
people have thought.
Speaker 1 (01:54:25):
And you know what this Kenneth Walker store, you know
what this is. This is when you hear the footstep
of your backup creeping up your back and you know
that charbonnagge, Yeah, exactly. Zach Charbonnay has been getting a
lot more carries because Kenneth can't stay on the field,
and you bet it, when you get on the field,
you better understand that if you get put back on
the sideline again, it's next man up. And they're not
(01:54:46):
worried about you, man. They're not worried about your lifestyle,
your family. They got a family to feed, they got
a lifestyle to live too. So when he gets on
the field, he wants to perform. Zach Charbonnay has been
doing as another sack for the Seattle defense. They're just
teeing off on Aaron Rodgers. And that's why I did
not include him and my impressive quarterbacks last week because
(01:55:08):
I just felt like it was one of those.
Speaker 2 (01:55:10):
Well he was impressive last week, He's just not impressive
this week. We'll see what we say about JJ McCarthy
after this week. All right, tell you what this is
why we call the no Huddle Hour. We can barely
catch our breath. No huddle Hour plus the perfect pick's
coming up. This is end zone radio, No Huddle Hour,
Burger Wow, the corks of the other one all the
way back to the twenty six.
Speaker 1 (01:55:31):
Ushton takes it and spins out to.
Speaker 10 (01:55:33):
The forty bis away they go, he's at midfield, He's
got one man at the feet, beats him.
Speaker 12 (01:55:39):
Down the sideline, goes be Lake Washington, tucks outavy.
Speaker 2 (01:55:44):
That's Fox Sports nine forty Dolphins radio network.
Speaker 1 (01:55:47):
But we have more.
Speaker 12 (01:55:48):
Keeps it on the run to the twenty to the
twenty five with a cut inside the thirty. He found
his way near side to the forty five five feet
kIPS it is thirty five mile children fifteen to ten five.
He goes these is push down Patriots.
Speaker 2 (01:56:05):
That it's ninety eighty five the sports up of the
Patriots radio network.
Speaker 1 (01:56:09):
Bath and fourth we go, and right now.
Speaker 2 (01:56:12):
It is the Miami Dolphins trailing in this game by
a score of thirty to twenty seven three minutes ago.
The Dolphins right now have a third down at midfield,
three minutes to go and the Dolphins looking for a
play and TWOA just got sacked. We'll see what they
do on fourth down once again, end zone radio. Here
(01:56:32):
we're in the Fox Sports Radio studios. They show a
sponsored by DraftKings. Stay tuned because you hear more about
DraftKings and all that it has to offer throughout the
show DraftKings.
Speaker 1 (01:56:41):
The crown is yours, all right, HiT's that time. Here
we go, precise profitable picks over under a half of
flagrant gentlemen. These fees are your perfect picks, all right.
Speaker 7 (01:56:54):
We switched the in season format clean sweet for Steve
in Week one, who took the under on Michaeh Parson
sack he had won not one and a half and
John and uh you had the higher passer rating between
Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen from Sunday Night Football. So
Steve two to oh on VJ to start the year.
But hey, new week, plenty of time to do some stuff,
(01:57:16):
all right, let's start.
Speaker 1 (01:57:17):
Let's go. Let's do Vikings. Let's start with the night game. First,
Vikings and Falcons. So we were looking this up, bow,
I believe the yards for JJ McCarthy in the National
Title game was one hundred and forty Is that correct? Yes?
All right, So I'm setting the over under a JJ
McCarthy passing yards one hundred and forty and a half
(01:57:38):
for what the first half? No, for the for the game.
Speaker 2 (01:57:42):
Well, he's already made a drafting, all right, so you're
obviously going to take take the other. I will take
the under. I mean I like to go the opposite
way here. I know, I don't chance.
Speaker 1 (01:57:57):
Didn't like that. I knew that might be a little
small at something. I will I will look, I'm gonna
go out on the limb. I will stay with that
pick and I will go under. All right, all right?
Can I interest you all at the bonus with a
Michael Pennix? Is that line to go with?
Speaker 9 (01:58:11):
Here?
Speaker 1 (01:58:13):
Uh, I'm gonna set it.
Speaker 7 (01:58:14):
He had almost three hundred yards of passing in the
first week, so two hundred and ten and a half
over on.
Speaker 1 (01:58:22):
I'll go first on this one. I will also go
under on that water. I'll go on that that that
biker's defense with and they're gonna blitz. They're gonna bliit
that and he's on the road. It's gonna be loud.
It's gonna be loud.
Speaker 2 (01:58:38):
Chick throw that one outs.
Speaker 7 (01:58:40):
Yes, we're gonna go to this afternoon game. We got
a Chiefs Eagles super Bowl rematch. Patrick Mahomes was sacked
six times in the last Super Bowl. That's obviously not
a line we can really like set here, and I'm
not gonna count how many times Taylor Swift is on
the screen.
Speaker 1 (01:58:56):
So instead we'll go to this. We'll stick with this.
Speaker 7 (01:58:59):
I'm gonna say at the line at Patrick Mahomes over
under two and a half sacks against this Eagles defense.
Speaker 1 (01:59:06):
Over over.
Speaker 2 (01:59:10):
That's okay. I'll play the other side on this one.
I'll go under on this one, and Mahomes will he
knows he can't. You got to get rid of the ball, can't.
All right, So we're a set with those perfect picks.
Ja McCarthy line and the Patrick Mahomes sacks. That is
your perfect picks. The look on Vjy's face, knowing that
(01:59:30):
he had already had a DraftKings pick of two hundred
and fifty plus yards, What two fifty five is that?
Speaker 11 (01:59:36):
What you got?
Speaker 1 (01:59:37):
Fifty? We set these, We set these a while back.
Speaker 2 (01:59:45):
I kind of was, all right, games that are over
right now, Rams, Titans get it over. Rams are now
blowing out the Titans thirty three to sixteen. And we
just saw the Giants.
Speaker 1 (01:59:56):
Table lead on a four down.
Speaker 2 (02:00:01):
Russell's kitchen Russell Wilson again.
Speaker 1 (02:00:05):
Oh wow?
Speaker 2 (02:00:06):
So on a fourth this was a fourth and four
and they fourth and four, fourth and four, Heady's wise deep?
Speaker 1 (02:00:14):
Oh what was the safety doing? That's not Robinson just
ran straight down the field.
Speaker 2 (02:00:20):
No one picked him up and on fourth and four, touchdown,
Giants thirty two yard touchdown pass. Russell Wilson now has
three hundred and eighty six yards passing in this game
and a couple of scores. Extra point is good. Giants
take to thirty to twenty seven lead with two forty.
Speaker 1 (02:00:40):
Four to go. So let's see what Dak Prescott can do.
Speaker 2 (02:00:43):
Other games that are tight right now Jacksonville and the
Bengals twenty seven to twenty four. Jacksonville Bengals have the ball,
they are trailing with three thirty eight to go in
the fourth quarter. Other tight gains Patriots Dolphins have hit
the two warning Patriots of the ball and a thirty
to twenty seven lead. Exciting finishes coming up. This is
(02:01:07):
end zone radio, no huddle hour, no huddle hour, unbelievable.
Right now's the Dolphins and just gotten in the end zone.
Wow eighteen right there, right there, he gets in and
we are tied, penning the extra point thirty three.
Speaker 1 (02:01:23):
All unbelievable. Play right there.
Speaker 2 (02:01:26):
Oh, I'm sorry, we're on yeah, end zone radio in
the Fox no huddle of studios.
Speaker 1 (02:01:31):
That was the last hour. This show has spotsory DraftKings.
Speaker 2 (02:01:34):
Stay tuned because you're gonna hear about DraftKings and all
it has to offer throughout the show.
Speaker 1 (02:01:38):
DraftKings, the crown is yours, and they have called the.
Speaker 2 (02:01:41):
Touchdown back because he stepped out, clearly stepped out right there.
Speaker 1 (02:01:46):
But the Dolphins on the move right now. All right.
Speaker 2 (02:01:48):
Four games are in play right now. Bengals of the
ball trailing the Jaguars twenty seven to twenty four minute
forty nine to go, Cowboys of the ball, two minute warning,
trailing the Giants thirty to twenty seven. We got the
Saints with the ball trailing the forty nine ers twenty six,
twenty one to two minute warning here and now the
Dolphins trailing the Patriots thirty three to twenty seven. They're
(02:02:09):
at the New England twenty six yard line with a
minute fifteen to go. All right, so and now we
got flags all over the place, and where is the.
Speaker 1 (02:02:19):
Call in this game?
Speaker 2 (02:02:21):
Right now? So? Uh, that's an illegal procedure call. You know,
as a coach, you lose your mind at this point
every time. I mean, you're sitting there trying to win
a game at home. You don't want to go to
ohen two. You're in a great shape right now after
big play and illegal procedure. I mean, that's just a
lack of discipline and a lack of focus, and it's inexcusable.
Speaker 1 (02:02:45):
It might this might be one of the worst Dolphin
lines I've seen in the last seven I think, with
eight years, even all the way back to Tann and Hill.
I used to tell you all the time, if you
only ask me if the Dolphins won and lost, all
I would do is say, show me the back of
Tannehills Jersey. If it's clean, they won. If it was
grass mixed in with the aqua in the seventeen, they
probably lost and didn't look good out there. And it's
(02:03:07):
the same it's the same deal man with the front
office here. And I'm not a fire career guy in fire.
Just why have you not addressed the offensive line? Why
has it not been addressed to get an offensive line
guru type guy in here and a coach or scout
somebody that can find the guys that are gonna be
able to block the way that they're supposed to block.
Speaker 3 (02:03:30):
All right?
Speaker 1 (02:03:30):
Was that a minute nine to go? Right now?
Speaker 2 (02:03:32):
Bengals are in field goal position.
Speaker 1 (02:03:35):
Could be better.
Speaker 2 (02:03:36):
They have a first intended the Jacksonville eleven yard line.
This is with Jake Brownie at quarterback replacing an injured
Joe Burrow. So the Bengals trying to pull out a
game at the very least in field goal position. Cowboys
are also moving right now against the Giants, down to
the thirty four yard line, trailing in this game thirty
to twenty seven clocks running minute twenty four to go
(02:03:57):
right now. The Cowboys still have three timeouts, but the
Giants with the thirty to twenty seven league. Cowboys, though,
are getting themselves at the very least infield goal position.
The other game we mentioned the Saints and the forty
nine ers. Saints in their own territory got a first down.
They're down to the forty nine ers twenty six to
twenty one. Can the Saints, predicted by many to not
(02:04:17):
win a single game this year come away with a victory.
They'll need some help along the way because they need
a touchdown, but at least they have the ball with
a minute fifty six to go in the fourth quarter.
All right, So getting back to this Dolphins game against
the Patriots. After the illegal procedure call, the Dolphins now
have a second and twenty at the thirty six yard line.
Speaker 1 (02:04:42):
So that was more than an illegal procedure, right, No,
it was a fall start. They called it a fall start,
So false start? Was that two false starts they had?
How did you get to second and twenty illegal? Exactly?
It's the line, bro I mean, Tuas had an unbelieable day.
Speaker 2 (02:04:58):
Twenty five three seven yards, couple scores Tyreek Hill over
one hundred yards receiving. There they're getting a job of done.
But how do you give up thirty three points of
the Patriots? Well, I'm one of the ones on Oh
that's right, you give up thirty three points of the Colts.
You made Daniel Jones look like a superstar last week?
Speaker 1 (02:05:14):
Yeah, one of them.
Speaker 2 (02:05:14):
When you're talking about the Dolphins, delphense word. Well, I
don't know. Dolphins defense is nothing to write home about
right now.
Speaker 1 (02:05:21):
Well that's right now. See, you know, we'll see how
the game, how the game ends out, though, But you know,
I mean, it's it's it's frustrating when you see a
change score. But then he said, and he did, he
stepped out of bounds. But that's almost just like their luck,
right that's that's the luck that they have right now.
But second to twenty one oh four ball on the
thirty seven. You have to go score, so there's no excuses.
You got to go make plays. That's as simple as that.
Speaker 2 (02:05:43):
All right. So a short pass play there and the
clock is running. By the way, the Dolphins have no
timeouts left, so the clock why did the clock stop?
Speaker 1 (02:05:53):
I know the Patriots did not just take a timeout.
Somebody took a time out. Or did the Dolphins burn
their last one? They didn't have it. They must have,
they must have. I was gonna say it had to
beat in Bernie the last one. But I cannot imagine
the Patriots. Yeah, blow burn, not on the clock with
the leave, Mike Vaibel, no wonder you got fired. I
still cannot believe that time out by Notre Dame man.
(02:06:14):
What was that They had stopped ate him three straight
plays and then they called the time out to give
A and m what a little extra time to figure
out what they're gonna do on fourth down when they
lose the game. We watched so many going on and
college level screw up down the stretch. But we watched
Georgia Tech and the Fireman drill yesterday. I mean, pull
(02:06:37):
that thing off. Fifty League took their time, did not rush.
The holder made it sure everyone was set. He looked
back to get kicker. Kicker gave him a head nod.
He flicked his fingers to snapped the ball, and then
the kicker makes the perfect extra field goal, longest in
his career.
Speaker 2 (02:06:55):
All right, here we go, first and goal for the
Bengals right now the Jacksonville one yard line, trailing twenty
seven to twenty four. The Cowboys second and goal at
the Giants six yard line, trailing the Giants thirty to
twenty seven to touch down Dallas, and Dallas has gotten
into the end zone. George Pickens into the end.
Speaker 1 (02:07:15):
Zonety seconds fifty seconds to go here.
Speaker 2 (02:07:17):
All right, so the the Giants will have time. But
but Penning the extra point. They could need a touchdown here,
but a short pass play to George Pickens right there. Uh,
he had a nice pass by Dak right at the
goal line. So the Cowboys not sure. No, he said, okay, yeah,
we see from got three at he's falling. He's fall No, no, no,
(02:07:40):
it's where the ball one two one two, you know,
it's where the ball is. He can be in the
end zone, but that ball has to break the planes.
Speaker 1 (02:07:46):
All right, So he is in the end zone.
Speaker 2 (02:07:48):
The extra point is good, thirty four to thirty. Cowboys
lead the Giants fifty two seconds to go, and I
see the Patriots celebrating.
Speaker 1 (02:07:59):
And tackle our right tackle decided not the block again.
Just watch this reply. Our linees terrible. The line's terrible
then too. It didn't have a shot. He plans his
back foot and there's two guys both coming off the
end untouched by the tackles. The Patrios didn't even have
to blitz. This is just a four man rush, all right. Bad,
So that is it.
Speaker 2 (02:08:16):
The Patriots will defeat the Dolphins by a score of
thirty three to twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (02:08:21):
The Dolphins fall.
Speaker 2 (02:08:22):
To oh and two on the season. I'm not gonna say.
I told you I'm not going to say anything. I
don't have to, all right, So we're keep an eye
the Saints.
Speaker 1 (02:08:32):
It's over for the Saints. The forty nine ers have
the ball and the lead.
Speaker 2 (02:08:36):
Twenty six twenty one fifty four seconds to go, so
oh and seventeen still in play. The Bengals still haven't
gotten in the end zone here, So it's twenty seven
twenty four Jaguars. We got twenty five seconds left and
a second and goal at the Jacksonville three yard line.
Jake Browning having to take over for an injured Joe
(02:08:56):
Burrow in this game, and we'll see if they can
get this in the end zone. Have to settle for
the tie. That pass is complete but short of the
end zone, and so and the clock is taking. Bengals
have two timeouts. They will call a time out with
eighteen seconds to go, third and goal. You still have
the luxury with a timeout remaining of going on another.
Speaker 1 (02:09:18):
They're going to punch this in. I got them punching
this in. And the Jacks played tough today and played hard.
But once again, when you switch up quarterbacks like that,
and like I said, you get Jake Browning coming into
the game. The Jags have no idea what this guy's
capable of doing. That's hard to coach against. And this
is what you come up with a team that you
(02:09:38):
got what a one B receiver you and I believe,
we believe Justin Jefferson is still one A. But Jamar
Chase one be right there as far as the best
pass catchers in the NFL, and you just make sure
you throw him to the football. He's got eleven twelve
catches today. Throw it to the best receiver on the planet.
Guys like that's I don't know why, that's hard.
Speaker 2 (02:09:56):
All right, So we got that game going on, and
we'll have the Giants with the ball for twenty one
seconds to go. Trailing the Cowboys by a score of
thirty four to thirty. Ravens beat the Browns today forty one,
seventeen to four touchdown passes for Lamar Jackson. Seahawks all
over the Steelers thirty one seventeen. Today Sam Darnold couple scores.
Bill's a laugher over the Jets today thirty to ten.
(02:10:17):
Not much to talk about in that game, forty nine ers.
It is a final defeat the Saints twenty six to
twenty one, Pats over the Dolphins thirty three to twenty seven.
Rams defeat the Titans thirty three to nineteen. The Lions
embarrassing the Bears right now, still three minutes to go.
Lions have put up fifty two trying to embarrass Ben Johnson,
and they're doing a good job of that. And now
(02:10:38):
the Bengals are in the end zone and they have
taken the lead. Browning on the keeper up the middle,
one yard touchdown.
Speaker 6 (02:10:47):
Can you jinx this extra point, please, Steve. You need
them to missus, Mike to meet and miss this extra point,
all right, So.
Speaker 1 (02:10:53):
Let's this is guarantee he's gonna make it.
Speaker 2 (02:10:55):
Oh right down the midte al right. So Bengals lead
the Jaguars by a score of thirty one to twenty
seven with eighteen seconds to go.
Speaker 1 (02:11:05):
All right.
Speaker 2 (02:11:06):
The Giants right now have a first and ten at
the forty eight yard line. Russell Wilson has had an
unbelievable game, guys, four hundred yards, three hundred and eighty
five yards of the year, and this one is not over.
Speaker 1 (02:11:18):
This game is not over. Oh he's got a shot.
Many Dallas better be very careful when that back in
not to fall asleep, and they have. And that's how
this game even got to this point. They had to
lead and they're back in is falling asleep? You cannot
do that. You have to be aware all the way
down the stretch to the end. You can't just think
(02:11:38):
that the game is over. So very interesting to see
how they fit. And they have to score touchdown. There's
thirty four to thirty.
Speaker 2 (02:11:44):
So all right, so they're at the forty eight yard
line of the Cowboys, so they're in Cowboy territory right now.
The Giants have no timeouts and they're gonna need but
the you know, thirty three seconds, you can get off
several plays there, A couple of sideline plays can get
them in pretty good position. Russell Wilson looking down field,
he's going to go for it all right now, going
deep and it is what's not to say?
Speaker 1 (02:12:04):
What did hey, God touchdown? Giant? What did I touchou?
Speaker 11 (02:12:10):
Giants?
Speaker 1 (02:12:11):
Unbelievable?
Speaker 2 (02:12:12):
All the league neighbors right there, Pitty the Cowboys secondary
fo touchdown. Unbelievably, forty eight yard touchdown?
Speaker 1 (02:12:22):
What are we looking at? Oh my goodness, he don't smitty.
Speaker 2 (02:12:26):
He can't believe what he does suck graces. So Russell
Wilson four hundred and thirty three yards passing three touchdowns,
and he just ran bomb with two defenders. Hits myleak, neighbors,
perfect pass, great catch, touchdown Giants. They take the lead
right now. All right, we're going to wait on the extra.
(02:12:47):
Foy Neighbors one hundred and forty six yards seating a
couple of scores in this game. Waiting on the very
big extra point by the Giants.
Speaker 1 (02:12:54):
Right now. It is good.
Speaker 2 (02:12:56):
So the Giants lead thirty seven thirty four now twenty
five seconds left. Cowboys have all three timeouts remaining.
Speaker 1 (02:13:05):
You can't love guys, get you all right, let's go
right now. We're back with more. This is end Zone Radio. Cowboys.
Thirty four Giants, thirty Giants trying to end an eight
game losing streak here in Dallas. Wilson out of the
shotgun set in a second.
Speaker 12 (02:13:21):
And ten.
Speaker 1 (02:13:23):
Drops back, has time deep ball downfield, looking for neighbors.
Speaker 2 (02:13:28):
Who makes the cut for the touchdown hit double coverage,
forty eight yard touchdown pass Wilson Neighbors. Have the Giants
take the leave.
Speaker 1 (02:13:39):
If there were two defenders.
Speaker 10 (02:13:40):
Draped on Carl and Russell Wilson with his classic.
Speaker 1 (02:13:44):
Boon ball delivers for the Giants.
Speaker 2 (02:13:47):
Heads Giants Radio Network, giving the Giants a thirty seven
to thirty four lead.
Speaker 10 (02:13:52):
Game over right, romsty four for the time snap hold
sixty sweet buddle, that's the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network a
sixty four yard field goal to tie the game over
(02:14:16):
time Giants Cowboys thirty seven.
Speaker 2 (02:14:21):
All Oh wow, I mean it just I mean, this
is what happens to Meja. We get a game like
this where you're just like, it's over, it's over.
Speaker 1 (02:14:29):
It's over.
Speaker 2 (02:14:29):
It's over.
Speaker 1 (02:14:29):
It's overst ten to three Giants for the longest and
then all of a sudden you have the Cowboys thirty
four to thirty Giants. It's over.
Speaker 2 (02:14:37):
They played a nice game, bombed the neighbors thirty seven
thirty four. The Cowboys did have those three timeouts to
make good use of them. Then they ran a really
bizarre play where they ran the ball at the middle
to put in the middle of the field with five
seconds to go to use their last time out. Aubrey
comes on this guy obviously one of the best kickers,
and he just drilled this thing. I mean, this thing
(02:14:58):
was halfway up the uprights have been good from seventy
sixty four yard field goal, and the Cowboys and Giants
are in overtime.
Speaker 1 (02:15:07):
What I would really really hate the Sea man, is
that Russell Wilson throws for four hundred plus yards and
gets an l That would just be I think that
would be the just the end of Russell Wilson.
Speaker 2 (02:15:20):
Well, it might be the end of Brian Dable. Yeah, well,
I mean that's I mean, that's the guy, by the way.
With the Broncos, they've just scored on a touchdown pass
by Bo Knicks take a six to three lead, penning
the extra point against the Indianapolis Occults.
Speaker 1 (02:15:32):
All right, time now for yet another.
Speaker 2 (02:15:34):
As we're here in the Fox Sports Radio studios, Draft
Kings pick what.
Speaker 1 (02:15:38):
You got Vija for Draft kings Man. I've been on
fire today and we love Draft Kings Man. I'm a
key on on Tomorrow Night. We've talked enough about all
these games today, have Kevin burkhard on. We talked about
the Eagles and the Chiefs. I want to kill Tomorrow Night,
Chargers and Raiders. Two. I'm gonna give you, guys, man,
one that actually is pretty juicy. Brock Bowers, who I
(02:15:58):
thought should have been a number one overall when he's
coming out of Georgia, and I thought that's what Chicago
should have done instead of taking Kayleb Williams and stuck
with Justin Jefferson. I mean, Justin Philis and Tea. You
can get yourself another quarterback. Seven plus catches the night
is a plus one thirteen on the books. I like it.
And then also Justin Herbert's passing yards against your vaunted
(02:16:21):
Pete Carroll refense plus two sixty on a plus one
oh seven. I'm gonna take that one too. I think
he throws this thing around. They Quenton Johnston, who I'm
not a firm believer in, but I love me some
lab McConkey, and just Drissel just driss lye. Excuse me, hardball.
It doesn't matter who his receivers are. Just look over
(02:16:43):
his career and his time of teams he's coached. Tell
me what great receivers. What Michael Crabtree is that as
good as you're gonna get. For right over his career
of coaching, Michael Crabtree is as good as you're gonna get.
He had them in the Super Bowl and one play
away from winning it all. So I think that Justin
Herbert is gonna be able to clean this thing around
tomorrow night. I also like the charge of the cover
(02:17:05):
is three points give me over on this game two
of the forty six and a half. I think some
points gonna be scored tomorrow night. Well, we have points
scored today.
Speaker 2 (02:17:12):
I mean it was late, but all of a sudden,
these second half's exploded with scoring around the NFL once again.
DraftKings Sportsbook and official sports betting partner of the NFL.
All right, the overtime is underway right now, nine minutes
to go. In the overtime, Cowboys get the ball first.
To get it, of course, they score a touchdown game over.
If they get a field goal in this opening drive,
(02:17:34):
then the Giants will get the ball back. So that's
what we're looking at right now. But what a last again,
a couple minutes of this game, the bomb by the
Giants to give him the lead and then the Cowboys
getting the tying sixty four yard field goal. Cowboys just
got another first down, so no surprise, they're moving the ball.
Two other games that are underway right now, Cardinals leading
(02:17:56):
the Panthers seven to nothing was a fumble recovering in
the end zone for the Cardinals, and we just mentioned
that Bo Nixus threw a touchdown pass to Mims, so
seven to three Broncos over the Colts and then coming
up of course, kicking off here any second will be
the Eagles in Kansas City against the Chiefs. Kevin Burkhart
(02:18:18):
joined us early in the show, breaking down this game
too early to tell, but you got to. You gotta wonder,
as I said, when you when you're a fighter and
you get in the ring against somebody that knocked you out,
you know you got to sort of hesitate for a second,
but you know you can come back from that. I mean,
I go oh school Ingemar Johansson knocks down Floyd Patterson
(02:18:40):
seven times to win the heavyweight crowd. They have the rematch.
No heavyweight ha ever won the title back. Floyd Patterson
delivered one of the most devastating left hooks in history,
knocked him cold to regain the crowd. So he came
back from that. We'll see how the Chiefs respawn after
getting embarrassed in last year's Super Bowl, and.
Speaker 1 (02:18:58):
That game is now just kicking off, not just embarrassed
in the Super Bowl embarrassed a few weeks ago down
in Brazil by the Chargers. But the analogy I love
is it's like going back to the bus stop the
next morning after the bully beat you up after school
the day before. Right, he rides the same bus as
you two. You gotta see this guy get that beat
(02:19:18):
after school at three thirty by the flagpole.
Speaker 2 (02:19:20):
But think about the mentality for the Eathers, like, come on,
we done. We wiped the floor of these guys.
Speaker 1 (02:19:25):
Hey, we've done this before that. I mean they were
getting garbage points at the end of that day. They
wiped the floor with everybody. And now they except the
tough in that play that Washington could be in some
trouble if this knee injury thing. Would Dade and Dale,
like I just I said, all summer long? And then
they traded for Michi out of for the Texas. This
(02:19:46):
team is loaded and they have a quiet swagger about
themselves that like you said, Hey, we didn't smacked all
y'all around before. This is nothing to us.
Speaker 2 (02:19:55):
All right, cowboys on a third and ten play, great
defensive play right here.
Speaker 1 (02:20:01):
Actually, oh no, it would drop. That is a job.
In real time. I thought it was and he dropped
the ball.
Speaker 2 (02:20:10):
So the Cowboys are gonna have to punt on fourth
and ten from their own territory, and that means the
Giants now can win the game with a field goal.
Kick us off now inside seven minutes to go in overtime,
and the punt is going to be Yeah, the Giants
going to be starting deep in their own territory at
their own fourteen yard line. But again, a field goal
(02:20:32):
wins it. Russell Wilson in this game is twenty seven
to thirty six for four hundred and thirty three yards
and three touchdowns. And as you said before this overtime,
it would be heartbreak for him to have those kind
of numbers and walk away a loser. Well, now he
has a chance to walk away a winner.
Speaker 1 (02:20:51):
He got on the are those the Dorothy Ruby red
slippers he cleats? He rockets today, you know, the only
one out there, fashion guy, the only one out there
with them all at the Giants feet. Everybody got on
white or blue. He got on these bright ran I
think I think Russell knew, he knew look at his feet,
he knew he knew today clicked them hill, Hey listen,
not a Wilson guy. But right now I'm pulling for him.
(02:21:13):
I'm pulling for him to drive down and win this
game and have this type of thing plus once again
in our business and makes the storylines way more interesting Dallas.
Sitting it oh and two. People thought, you get Dak back,
you'll be okay. But here we are if they lose today,
sitting at oh and too, and not just oh and two,
Steve Owen two in the NFC.
Speaker 2 (02:21:31):
East, Yeah, NFC East. And you know, I thought the
Cowboys could win ten games this year. They played certainly
competitive football against the Eagles. They look like a team
like Okay, because I was saying, I thought, as we
were talking about the return of Dak Prescott, it has
a bigger effect on the Cowboys than the loss of
Michael Parsons. But watching the Cowboys defense getting shredded today
(02:21:53):
by Russell Wilson, and by the way, they've already gotten
a first down on this drive. They're already moving the
ball right now. So the Giants are already up to
their own thirty five yard line, twenty yards on a
couple of pass plays here, trying to get into field
goal positions.
Speaker 6 (02:22:08):
Steve, you say that, but did you think about how
the Giants only have eighty four yards rushing as a
team today.
Speaker 2 (02:22:14):
Well, you don't need to run the ball if you're
passing the ball at will.
Speaker 6 (02:22:17):
Yeah, but Dallas is out here to stop the run.
That's what they're is.
Speaker 1 (02:22:20):
That's why they got that's that's right.
Speaker 2 (02:22:24):
And they're doing that four hundred and fifty four yards
passing for Russell Wilson right now.
Speaker 1 (02:22:29):
Just say and he's up balls knocked down? Was that
a fumble? I don't know the way to the running? Okay,
what happened there? It looked like a fun and.
Speaker 2 (02:22:37):
It looks like it was a fumble and it went
out of bounds. Giants will retain it, but it's going
to be a huge loss on this play. Let's let's
watch a replay on this one here. So the ball, oh,
is that the tough rule? They don't have that anymore.
Speaker 1 (02:22:54):
That's that's a forward pass. Yeah, you know, I don't
like it. No, but it's a lateral right, it's a
it's a backwards pass. It's out of his hand. Listen,
here's the thing. Rule it thumb, Chris, I get what
you're saying. That's allow you on a replay when you
watch a quarterback fingers try to like squeeze the ball.
He's not trying to get rid of it. If he's
trying to hold on to it, he's not trying to get.
Speaker 2 (02:23:16):
Rid of it.
Speaker 1 (02:23:17):
That needs to be a fumble.
Speaker 2 (02:23:18):
But it got alright, a big pass down the field
and that's incomplete, all right, So it was a lateral pass.
Speaker 1 (02:23:24):
That's why it was a fumble.
Speaker 2 (02:23:25):
And now they have a fourth and seventeen in their
own twenty one yard line, so with five minutes ago
in overtime, they're going to have to punt. So both
teams now can win this game with a field goal.
Let's find out what it's trending right now.
Speaker 1 (02:23:39):
Monci is back. What a crazy game.
Speaker 4 (02:23:42):
This one is so crazy.
Speaker 5 (02:23:43):
But at least we have something that keeps us on
the edge of our seats into overtime. Thirty seven all
between the Giants and the Cowboys. Next score wins. We'll
see how it goes. Broncos on the scoreboard first against
the Colts, as bo Nick's connected.
Speaker 4 (02:23:56):
With Marvin Mark why did I when I flaking out,
Marvin Mims, Thank you, Marvin Mims, thank you. I was like,
tell somebody help me.
Speaker 5 (02:24:04):
Marvin Mimms Junior. So the Broncos are up on the
cold seven to three, five minutes to go in the
first quarter. Cardinals got a early score as well as
Bryce Young fumbled and then kick kickkick, nobody gets control.
Cardinals land on it when it comes in the end zone.
That's how they got on the scoreboard. So right now
they're up on the Panthers ten zero, five minutes to
go in the first quarter of that one.
Speaker 4 (02:24:23):
Everything else is wrapped up.
Speaker 5 (02:24:25):
So the Bengals lost Joe Burrow early in the game
to a left toe injury. Jake Browning said, do not worry.
I'm gonna come in. I'm gonna throw three interceptions, but
I'm also gonna rush for a touchdown and I'm gonna
throw two touchdowns, and I'm gonna save the game, and
I'm gonna help the Bengals start the season two and oh,
and that's exactly what happened. Thirty one to twenty seven
against the Jaguars. Was the final score Trevil Lawrence twenty
(02:24:46):
five to forty three, two hundred and ninety four yards,
three touchdowns, two interceptions in that one. But yeah, Jake
Browning helping the Bengals improved to two and oh. The
Lions crushed the Bears fifty two to twenty one. Jared
Goff twenty three of twenty eight three hundred and thirty
four yards, five touchdowns. I'm and Ross Saint Brown nine catches,
one hundred and fifteen yards and three of those touchdowns.
Fifty two to twenty one was the final score on
(02:25:08):
that one. Caleb Williams nineteen of thirty two hundred and
seven yards, two touchdowns, one interception. The Patriots held on
thirty three to twenty seven. Against the Dolphins, Bills outscored
the Jets.
Speaker 4 (02:25:17):
Thirty to ten.
Speaker 5 (02:25:18):
Quiet day for Josh Allen though fourteen of twenty five
one hundred and forty eight yards, no touchdowns in the air,
no touchdowns on the ground. He had six carries for
fifty nine yards. James Cook twenty one carries, one hundred
and thirty two yards and two touchdowns. Trod Taylor did
come in for Justin Fields, who was evaluated for a concussion.
No further development there. The Ravens top the Browns forty
one to seventeen. Lamar Jackson nineteen of twenty nine two
hundred and twenty five yards and four touchdowns. Quiet day
(02:25:41):
for Derek Henry, who only had eleven carries in twenty
four yards. Also, Joe Flaggo was bench late in the
game when it seemed out of reach. Dylan Gabriel came in.
He was three of three twenty yards and a touchdown pass.
Speaker 4 (02:25:51):
To Dylan Samson.
Speaker 5 (02:25:52):
For Cleveland, Seahawks defeated the Steelers thirty one to seventeen.
Sam Darnold threw for two hundred and ninety five yards
two touchdowns. He also had two interceptions. While the Rams
beat the Titans thirty three to nineteen. Blake Koram Pucunakua
had rushing touchdowns, Devonte Adams with his first touchdown as
a Ram, Matthew Stafford through for two hundred and eight
ninety eight yards and two touchdowns, and the forty nine
(02:26:13):
Ers top the Saints twenty six to twenty one. Mac
Jones in for Brock perty twenty six of thirty nine,
two hundred and seventy nine yards and three touchdowns in
that one. In baseball, cal Rawly has just hit home
run fifty four of the season. Mariners up on the
Angels two zero, bottom of the second inning, Dodgers up
on the Giants one zero, bottom of the second. In
San Francisco as well, the Cardinals are on top of
(02:26:34):
the Brewers three to two, top of the eighth inning.
Rangers and Mets tied at two apiece, top of the
tenth in New York.
Speaker 4 (02:26:41):
How many of the Mets lost eight in a row?
Eight in a row.
Speaker 5 (02:26:45):
For the Mets trying to win this one in the
tenth inning, WNBA score a Playoffs Round one dream on
top of the fever forty seven to forty halfway through
the third quarter.
Speaker 1 (02:26:56):
I lot that going to that Onengers two games out
of first place. Oh yeah, tay one thing off a
month ago.
Speaker 4 (02:27:04):
What I think a lot of people did.
Speaker 2 (02:27:05):
Well the Mets, Mets a rough are falling out of
that spot.
Speaker 1 (02:27:10):
Suddenly, the Giants are very much in the mix. The
Reds are back in it for that last wild Card.
Speaker 2 (02:27:14):
By the way, cal Rawley's fifty fourth home run now
ties Mickey Mantles record for most home runs in a
season by.
Speaker 1 (02:27:20):
A switch hitter. Col Rawley and Mickey Mannle.
Speaker 2 (02:27:24):
In the same sentence, fifty four a piece. All right,
Mon's some great stuff that's always once again and so
ready here in the Fox Sports Radio studios, don't forget
after the show. The podcast is going up, So if

(02:27:46):
You'll see today's show posted right after we get off
the air. All right, Dallas Cowboys right now, three fifty
two to go in the overtime, and they have a
third and ten, So both teams are struggling. The Cowboys
are at their own thirty eight yard line now, of course,
with less than four minutes to go in the overtime.
Either one of these teams just needs a field goal.
(02:28:08):
And again, when you have a kicker like Aubrey, like
the Cowboys do. Again, that sixty four yard field goal
that he made to tie this game and send it
to overtime would have been good from seventy yeah, no question,
would have been good from seventy yards, But right now
he'd be looking about an eighty five yard field goal.
Speaker 1 (02:28:25):
That's a little out of his range.
Speaker 2 (02:28:27):
All right, So here we go third and ten for
the Cowboys from their own thirty eight yard line. Passes
complete and not going anywhere. All right, So this is
gonna have to be another punt. They're not going to
attempt a seventy five yard field goal.
Speaker 1 (02:28:40):
In Tai territory.
Speaker 6 (02:28:41):
Why not just kick the field goal?
Speaker 1 (02:28:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:28:44):
Yeah, what's the worst could they happen? Well, what happens
is he doesn't make it and then you basically give
the Giants the game.
Speaker 1 (02:28:48):
That's logic, that doesn't.
Speaker 2 (02:28:50):
Fine, Yeah, that's logic right there.
Speaker 1 (02:28:52):
Young kids, stop doing this right here, Stop pausing like this.
Receivers just did. Everybody thinks you can stop it. Everybody
the fit is going to run by, you know, going
yeah and again.
Speaker 2 (02:29:02):
He used to be when you need ten yards on
third and ten, you throw it to the first down market.
We don't run a five yard pass and hope with
you know, the guy's gonna break a tackle.
Speaker 1 (02:29:14):
That that's old school.
Speaker 2 (02:29:15):
People always say, why are completion percentage is so much
higher now than they used to be.
Speaker 1 (02:29:20):
It's a completely different game.
Speaker 2 (02:29:21):
How about before nineteen seventy eight, defensive backs could hit
the receiver all the way down the field until the
ball was in the air. Imagine how your completion percentage
would be now if you have those rules that they
had pre nineteen seventy eight. Literally a defensive back could
hit the receiver all the way down the field until
the ball was in the air.
Speaker 1 (02:29:40):
And that's why my opinion on receiver is not as
much as plug and play, like there's not justin Jefferson's
and Jamar Chase is growing on trees. But the simple
fact that you can't touch receivers or why we see
in some of these astronomical years, we're seeing it for
some of these receivers that I would go, bro, he's
he couldn't do that in the eighties and nineties. Trust me,
when guys can put their hands on you and actually
(02:30:03):
touch you, now you can't touch and which is weird.
The passing appearance calls are up over the last five years.
I looked this up two nights ago, and the percentage
of passing affairance per pass are bigger than they are
because they stop coaching defensive back Like, defensive backs don't
get coached anymore. And you can't tell me they do,
(02:30:24):
because watch how many of them, Like we're watching Elak
Labors get behind two secondary guys with the game on
the line with thirty seconds left in the fourth quarter.
You should know I would put my feels on the
goal line. You gotta run by me past the goal
line to get this, And that's just not coach.
Speaker 2 (02:30:41):
If you watch that play, even though yeah the corner
got beat, where was the safety? He was way late
in reacting and literally just let him run by bye?
All right, Giants have the ball right now and they
are at their own thirty yard line. So we're down
to two forty two and counting in this overtime. If
we get to Zeros on the clock, we will have
(02:31:02):
a tie, which no one likes. But it's still in play. Like, Wow,
you're gonna have ties in the NFL?
Speaker 1 (02:31:08):
Like, did we get it? I know you do, because
you didn't predicted tie. Did you give it? Did you
give us all over under for ties this year in
the NFL? Did we do that over? I don't think
I did.
Speaker 7 (02:31:17):
But I always when we do our season predictions, I
think I always like to pick two teams to have
a tie game, right, that's what?
Speaker 1 (02:31:24):
Okay, Yeah he had a tie, but it wasn't.
Speaker 12 (02:31:26):
It wasn't.
Speaker 1 (02:31:26):
It wasn't Giants and Cowboys. Now, but you thought there
would be a team this year, two teams this year?
Always a tie there's always a tie.
Speaker 2 (02:31:33):
Now we're also Wilson throwing deep, right, but just threw
it up for grabs for an interception.
Speaker 1 (02:31:38):
So now the Cowboys get the ball back. I don't
know what. That's a second and that's a second down.
Why are you even taking that shot on second down? Apparently? Yes,
I think that. I think the Giants are playing for
the tie. They just they they want that deep shot
to Maleak Neighbors and he just.
Speaker 9 (02:31:54):
Died.
Speaker 1 (02:31:55):
That was that was not that was it?
Speaker 2 (02:31:58):
All right? So the Cowboys will now takeover. We got
two minutes to go in the overtime at their own
thirty one yard line. Just update you on some of
the numbers in this game. Russell Wilson thirty of forty
passing four hundred and fifty yards and three touchdowns. Dak
Prescott in this game is thirty seven of fifty one,
(02:32:21):
three hundred and thirty four yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.
I mean, wow, I mean that's that's sixty seven completions
combined in this game. Neighbors eight nine catches, one hundred
and sixty seven yards and two scores one. Dale Robinson
eight catches, one hundred and forty two yards and a score.
Ceedee Lamb nine catches one hundred and twelve yards, zero
(02:32:42):
touchdowns there. Javonte Williams, though, seventeen carries ninety six yards
and a score. So a little bit of a running
game for the Cowboys. All right. Both these teams are
oh and one, and as we mentioned before, oh and
two starts for teams not good. Twelve percent, only twelve
percent of teams that start going to end up in
(02:33:03):
the post season.
Speaker 1 (02:33:05):
Yeah, got to win early in the year. Man. You
want to get off to a good start because it
just it creates good, good vibes, good camaraderie, good feelings,
good energy in the locker room. And that's what you
want early in the year. It's hard to get that
back after week five, week six, And this is something
that of acts NFL players when you know that energy
(02:33:28):
is not there, how do you get it back? And
the answers a lot of times Steve is, hey man,
you just got to keep You got to keep just
waking up and coming in. You gotta keep waking up
and going. But you much rather have hey man, we're good.
We got a dub we gotta dub on r bel
or we got two in r bel that's much better
than ah Man. You gotta just keep waking up and
coming in. Would you rather walk into that locker room
(02:33:48):
or the other locker room?
Speaker 2 (02:33:50):
All right, halfway through the first quarter, right now, and
the Chiefs and Eagles no score early in this game.
Mahomes misfired on his first two pass attempts to the game,
so we'll obviously keep an eye on that. I meanwhile,
Dak Prescott trying to make a big play down field
and did and did all right again with the best
(02:34:11):
field goal kicker in the game, you're already in field
goal position obviously, because this will be a shorter field
goal in the sixty four yard ers. So Cowboys get
a play down the field after that really inexplicable, unnecessary
pass made by Russell Wilson. I mean, there was no
reason for it. Was second down. He just sort of
threw a pass down the field. There was no giant
(02:34:32):
receiver in sight, and it was an easy catch for
the Giants. So right now, the Cowboys have a first
down at the forty two yard line of the Giants.
So field goal here would be about fifty nine to
sixty yards.
Speaker 1 (02:34:47):
And look at him, I think they're doing. I think
they're gonna do it.
Speaker 2 (02:34:49):
Look at this another play up the middle. Now there's
a minute nine to go, so they obviously got to
kick the get the kickoff before. The Giants are not
going to take a time.
Speaker 1 (02:34:59):
I was about to say, they have two timeouts, why
aren't they burning a timeout? I have no idea. You
have two of them to burn, So this is the minute,
this is the point that you want to burn them.
Speaker 2 (02:35:08):
Well, I don't know what they're waiting on either. Obviously
there's no time after this. So the clock is ticking
and there we got four going. So so the Cowboys
just trying to get themselves in the field goal position
right now to win this game. Prescott actually Dak is
going to actually run the ball, and he's going to
(02:35:29):
run it and run it and run it. Now they
got a chip shot field goal. I'm going to trust
this field goal attempt right now. Good Yeah, this is
end zone radio.
Speaker 10 (02:35:39):
Right, Hash forty six win the game four seconds left
in overtime.
Speaker 1 (02:35:44):
Good operation forty six. The kick wins the game. Better, better, better, better,
extra better.
Speaker 10 (02:35:52):
Cowboys win in overtime forty to forty seven.
Speaker 2 (02:35:58):
That's the Dallas Cowboys Radio network helps to have the
best kicker in the league is sixty four yard er,
tied it up and that is the game winning field goal.
Speaker 1 (02:36:06):
Heartbreak for the Giants.
Speaker 2 (02:36:07):
Four hundred and fifty yards plus passing for Russell Wilson
not good enough, so the Cowboys get a huge win
they needed at home, so they go to one to
one Giants and two once again end Zone radio. Here
from the Fox Sports Radio studios, the show sponsored by DraftKings.
Stay tuned because you can hear more Draft Kings and
all it has to offer throughout the show DraftKings, the
(02:36:28):
crown is yours, by the way, coming up on deck,
they'll pickup Oor. We leave off Dan Byer, Kerry Rose
ready for action. Monsei doing a phenomenal job today, very
very busy day on the scoreboard with nine games to
kick off the day today. Chris doing a great job
on the board as always, had his perfet picks. We'll
see how they play out today.
Speaker 7 (02:36:49):
But by the way, guys, do you think on Monday
we'll be asking questions if Ben Johnson can succeed without
Jared Goff.
Speaker 2 (02:36:57):
Well again, I think we're gonna actually ask So the
narrative only ever goes one way.
Speaker 1 (02:37:01):
Okay, no, it doesn't one way just in week two
is the silly question to ask. In week two of SACIL,
we were asking this about the Lions after week one,
with Ben Johnson going, so, I mean, like, where's the
line hold on? Guys?
Speaker 2 (02:37:14):
Good news for bo Sakwon Barkley thirteen yard touchdown run.
Eagles get the first score of the game against the Chiefs,
winning on the exit point. Right now, what is your
thoughts on this Super Bowl rematch today? Here both I.
Speaker 6 (02:37:28):
Took the Chiefs at plus one and a half in
this game.
Speaker 2 (02:37:31):
It is seven to nothing Eagles to start this game.
Why would you think this game would look any different
than what we saw in the Super Bowl?
Speaker 6 (02:37:36):
Because the Eagles didn't look great to start the season
on Thursday night. And I can't imagine a world where
Patrick Mahomes at home loses a game to go down
on two.
Speaker 1 (02:37:46):
Well, it could easily happen.
Speaker 2 (02:37:47):
I be honest if you say, if you saw the
Chiefs against the Chargers again, if it wasn't for a
couple of miraculous plays by Mahomes, yeah, yeah, that game's
a blowout.
Speaker 1 (02:37:57):
They didn't stop Herbert at all.
Speaker 6 (02:37:59):
Yeah, was in Brazil what part of Philly?
Speaker 1 (02:38:01):
What part of Philly didn't look good to you? I
thought they, I thought they. I thought Dallas defense out
in the second half. They did score a bunch of points,
but then the defense then took over.
Speaker 6 (02:38:09):
There's a reason why they really wanted Michael Parsons from Dallas.
They don't have an actual like edge, and their cornerback
two spot is a glaring weakness. It doesn't really matter
today because the Chiefs have one wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (02:38:22):
All right, understand this.
Speaker 2 (02:38:24):
If VJ about Bo, who is a true blue Eagles guy,
I mean, it's not that he dislikes Jalen Hurts, but
he would tell you there are several quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (02:38:36):
In this league that would make this team better. Am
I right?
Speaker 11 (02:38:41):
I met?
Speaker 1 (02:38:42):
I'm not saying all quarterbacks.
Speaker 6 (02:38:43):
I don't know if they would make the team better,
but they would be better players.
Speaker 1 (02:38:47):
Okay, so let me let me let me let me
ask this then, because this type of stuff always confuses me.
How many Super Bowls? Jaylen's Hurtspenson and he's won one,
right and play great in both of them.
Speaker 6 (02:38:58):
That's true.
Speaker 1 (02:38:59):
So my question would be who would you want to
replace him with?
Speaker 6 (02:39:04):
I mean, you would start Obviously, I think Lamar Jackson
is better than Jalen Hurt. Justin Herbert Allen I would trade.
I would trade Justin Herbert.
Speaker 1 (02:39:11):
Justin Herbert how many super balls he'd been to none?
Lamar Jackson, how many super balls he's been so none?
Josh Allen, I understand, I understand. I just Jalen Hurts
to me. And that's why I love the question that
I threw to Kevin and then he and he responded
the way that we would you use quarterbacks to do
certain things?
Speaker 6 (02:39:30):
Would you trade Jalen Hurts for Dan Reno?
Speaker 1 (02:39:32):
What I trade Jalen Hursts for damn Mareno?
Speaker 6 (02:39:34):
You get Dan Reno in the modern NFL.
Speaker 1 (02:39:37):
His resume and how many Super Bowls did he win?
Speaker 2 (02:39:40):
Zero?
Speaker 1 (02:39:41):
He got blown out? In My thing is bo we
we we've taken away winning when it comes to certain people.
Speaker 6 (02:39:50):
That's why I said, I don't know if it would
make the team better, but individually they are better quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (02:39:53):
Yeah, but well individually there were better, you know, players
than other people at different positions. Talent wise, I take
Randy Moss over Jerry Rice. I agree with you that too, Yeah,
but who's got the jewel?
Speaker 7 (02:40:07):
Like that?
Speaker 1 (02:40:08):
Matter. It's a great we could well and this is
why quarterback a little too much though that that's my
only thing with I.
Speaker 2 (02:40:15):
Just I'm with you one hundred percent on this. Who
you can always argue about who has more talent? Look
at the resume, right, look at the resume. I used
to say this about Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
Speaker 1 (02:40:25):
Why is he not in the conversation not to go?
I mean, thank you? I mean he he was the
all time leading scorer ever.
Speaker 2 (02:40:32):
You know, if you want to count uc LA three
straight national championships, he's six m vps more than any other.
Speaker 1 (02:40:41):
He's won six championships. I mean, what am I missing?
Speaker 2 (02:40:44):
Why is he not at least in the conversation when
you're arguing about Michael Jordan or you're arguing about I mean,
he won six times, so.
Speaker 1 (02:40:51):
The Kareem right and and won one more m v
P than Michael Jordan did. We don't put him, but
we don't put him there, So I go with the
resume as well. All right, great stuff is always vj
We'll do it again next week. Stay too much more.
