Speaker 2 (00:32):
And by the way, we're coming off week where there
was a lot of points score Hey, talking about Yes,
what I would have one second, we have a special
guest joining us.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Really we do off the break off the top, Yeah,
we did, let me do. Let's go, Hey, Steve, this
is rich Hornberger. Ritchie, Hey, Buddy, Richie. What are you doing?
Hey guys, it's good to be on with you this morning.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Well, first of all, you gotta be smiling after that
unbelievable San Diego State game last night.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Was at what happened there?

Speaker 2 (01:04):
They were fourteen a half point underdogs and they went
thirty four nothing over Cal.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
Well, those dogs got barking, There's no question about it.
That was a late night for me and an early
start this morning because you know, Steve, today is actually
a pretty special day for me personally. And I'm going
to I'm gonna walk you through this for a second. Okay,
for anybody who's been around southern California, especially in sports radio,

(01:32):
you know, Steve Hartman and I've had the pleasure and
the privilege of being Hartman's longest running partner since shoot,
going all the way back to the Loose Cannons days
with Chap forty. We recently had a part because I
had to spend more Sundays with the kiddos instead of
hopping on the microphone with Steve, and I missed that.
And I'll tell you what, VJs, You've done a great

(01:54):
job since and I appreciate you hopping in there. I mean,
the show sounds better, Let's be honest it, buddy, Listen
that that show you did with Chet it revolutionized sports
talk radio. It's at a standard This business would never

(02:14):
have been what it's become without Steve Hartman. Look for me,
it goes beyond that. Though it always was less about
our show together or any ratings conversations that we had
a had with program directors. You know, for those of
you who don't know Steve personally, he's a mentor. He's

(02:35):
somebody who can teach you what it really means to
do this job with passion and preparation. And he does
that every single day. And when I say every single day,
I mean every single day. If he could be on
the microphone or on a television camera every single day,
he would be. They literally have to lock the studio
doors behind him when he leaves. Look as a partner,

(02:58):
you always show up for me, buddy, every single day.
You've always been fully locked in. You've always been ready
to give the audience everything you had. And most importantly,
you've been a friend and the kind of friend who,
besides again the business part of things, if I ever
needed advice, I knew who I could call.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Steve.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Your voice has been a part of Southern California radio
for parts of four decades. Your professionalism and your energy
and your love for this craft cannot be seconded. You've
been I mean, you're one of one. Today we're gonna
celebrate you in a really big way. And so another
privilege joining us right now to share some really exciting

(03:41):
news about what's going to happen to Steve Hartman, a
true legend is joining us. The iconic voice of the
USC Trojans, Peter Arbagast is jumping on a microphone here
to Pete.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
You have some news for Steve.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
I sure do, and it's been a privilege to be
a colleague of his. Although we don't see each other
very often. I don't think we've seen each other a
long long time now, But Steve, I want to say
this from the bottom of our hearts, for your body
of radio and TV working the greater Southern California area,
starting back in nineteen eighty nine, but even before that

(04:19):
at your day's at UCLA, and here we are talking
st and UCLA at Dogs and Cats living in sin
Here the radio color analysts of the year one time
for the Southern California Sports Broadcasters, an outstanding talk show host,
obviously a guy that has worked both radio and television
with equal verve and vigor. And as president of the

(04:41):
Southern California Sports Broadcasts Association, it is my privilege to
announce that the board of directors and the membership of
that organization, for your body at work over the past
five decades, has chosen to elect you and we will
induct you in January of twenty twenty six into the
Southern California Sports Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Yeah, Wow, I I am. I am overwhelmed right now
to say the least, this is an amazing day.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
I got, I got goosebump.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Wow. See Steve, Steve Pete.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
I want to I want to say this first stuff
all to you.

Speaker 6 (05:33):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
And we've been in this business a long time. Pete
Pete obviously a member of the Hall of Fame, deservedly
as the voice of the Trojans all these years. Pete,
for a stat geek from the Valley, to have this
kind of accolade.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Is beyond belief.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
And I want to just thank everybody here for this
incredible honor and reception you.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Guys are giving me right now. I'm I am.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Just so overwhelmed. I don't associate.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
I feel like the Jim Cott, you know, sort of
like the Harold Baines, a guy that well, the guy
just keeps working.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
I mean, the guy just keeps going and going. So
in some way we acknowledge that.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
But to be part of this business, to be part
of this community, to been in my whole life in
Southern California, raised the Trojan by my father becoming a bruin.
This is just an immense, mense honor, so for Pete
and the members of the board of the Southern California
Sports Broadcasters Association, thank you so much for this. I

(06:37):
would not say deserved honor, but I richly appreciate it. Richie,
you are a big part of it, as is VG
and every partner that I've had over the years. It's
an ongoing joke that I've worked with more people in
the radio industry than anyone I guarantee you in sports
talk history. But it's been my privilege to work with
some immense talents that have made me look a whole

(06:59):
lot better or over the years. So, guys, thank you
so much. And I guess, guys shake, I'm really shake it.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Thank you right now. Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
This is an incredible honor and I cannot wait to
be there for the I guess the ceremony coming up
early next year.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
Pete. It's save January thirteenth, the afternoon of January thirteenth
the Lakeside Golf Club in to Luga Lake, and I'll
be in touch with you about that, and anybody that
wants to come. It's open to the public, not just
the sports broadcasters and their ilk and families, but anybody
that wants to come to this event. Tickets will be
available and you can find us on the Southern California

(07:42):
Sports Broadcasters social media sites on Facebook and Instagram and
so on. I'm as you mean might imagine. I'm paid
well for that job, you understand, So it is one
of one. I have like one point three fun things
to do at part of that job, and this is
absolutely one of them. Call somebody and let them know.
It changes your life, I'll tell you that. And if

(08:04):
you're still on the air and you go into the
Hall of Fame, what it really means is you really
can't stink anymore because they know you're in all right.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
I can't ruin it from here. I've eventually been named
to the Hall of Fame. Well, Pete, thank you so
much for this in tremendous honor. And obviously you and
my family will all be there for the luncheon, and
I've attended many of those over the years.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
I wish I could have attended more.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
But I was always working, so I can never get
down to the lunchend. So that's why that was the
problem with doing a midday radio show all those years.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
They wouldn't let me go. They would say, can I
go to the dunch? I'm like nominated, and they're like, no,
you can't go.

Speaker 5 (08:41):
No no, I want to say one more thing that
there are two other people going with you. One of
them does not know and will not know, and we
won't make the announcement until actually another two weeks from
now in the same sort of fashion. The other, though,
we can tell you, is Brad Pie Junior, a long
time hortscaster and and he's passed away and his so

(09:06):
I we'll do that posthumously. But there's there's gonna be
three guys going in and we're very proud of all
of you and glad to have you amongst our ranks.
So once again, congratulations and on with the show.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Thank you so much, Bete again incredibly Homo.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Richie, you're a big part of this. Rich You know
that huge part of this.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
No no no, I I merely uh helped you to
your chair when you forgot where it was that.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Was, buddy.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
I mean it when I tell you your your voice
is synonymous with long drives and tuning out uh kids,
whining from the back seat and uh and and honestly,
you've played companion and partner to so many across this
country and locally here in Southern California for years. Here's

(09:52):
too many years to come of that, because I know
you will never stop working and uh and and as
a as a partner on the air and a friend
for life, I can tell you from the bottom of
my heart, I appreciate you, I love you, and this
is an honor you deserve and I can't wait to
celebrate you on the thirteenth of January.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Congratulations, Steve.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Well you know I love you as well. Rich Thank
you so much for being part of this. Guys, let's
toast right now.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Thank you so much, Steve.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
That's a little honor.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
I mean, it's just crazy when you look at the
names that are in the Southern California Sports Podcast and
Hall of Fame, It's like, Okay, I don't belong in
that list, but I'll take it.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
I'll absolutely take it.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
Thanks Richie.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
All Right, all right, get to work just like Pizzai.
All right, let it bej Thanks for letting me crash.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Okay, man, that is unbelievable. I don't even know what
to say.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
I know that when I've been too many of these
luncheons over the years, and I've seen a lot of
Hall of Fame induction speeches over the years. Obviously almost
all these people are people I've known for years and
obviously richly deserve.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
But to I mean, I'll tell you what it's it's
mind blowing.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
I can see it when you see the names of
Vin Scully and Chick Hern and they weren't sure what
to do with us sports talk guys. One of my
dear friends, the late great Joe McDonald got imposthumously a
few years ago.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
But for me to uh, to get this on or
really is I don't know, it's sort of mind blowing. No,
I let it out, man, and let me and let
me just say this really quick. You and I have
done a bunch of shows together. I probably haven't done
nearly as many as you've done with other people. But
I want to tell the fans this. And I've told
my wife this, I've told my brother this, I've told
some of my best friends this. When I see something

(11:34):
like this happens to a guy like you and You
and I have talked about a lot of stuff off
the air. We know each other personally. We're not two
guys that just get up here with a bunch of
notes because we don't do notes. We don't like that radio.
We don't do a run down with Steve. You don't
need one.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
Right, We don't know because I trust my partners.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
I knew VJ. You know when they asked me, is
he ready?

Speaker 2 (11:56):
I said absolutely that man, it's ready to go, no
question about that. Yes, we share personal stuff, you know,
it's not just bess.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
So when I see something like this, and I sincerely
mean my words right now one hundred thousand percent, when
I see a guy like you get an honor like this,
and the simple fact that I'm new here, I'm the
rookie here and I know this. I do my thing
and I do what I do, but I know I'm
the rookie on this show, in this block. And for
Rich to come on, who's cheer I'm now sitting in

(12:25):
and then to hear you get that type of announcement,
knowing not just the broadcaster, you are the father, you
are the man, you are the friend, you are the mentor,
you are it speaks volumes, and it makes a guy
like me emotional and it also makes me go, okay, bro,
you better get the work. You think you've been working.
You think you've been doing your thing for fifteen sixteen years.

(12:47):
This man's been doing it for forty and you won
an award. Now, Bro, you got about twenty eight years
of more work than v table before you get this. Boy.
So I say all that to say real talk. I
love you man, as a human, as a as you
are a mentor. You are somebody that we can look
at and go listen. You want a long career in this.
You want to make a living doing this. You want

(13:07):
a guy to watch watch Steve Hartman like, watch what
he does and then just follow that path. Now, don't
mean you're gonna get there because you got to be
that damn good get You can do the work, but
you got to be that damn good like he is.
So congratulations to you, your family, your career. We rouse
each other, we troll each other, We have a You're
my favorite guy, and you always have been to do
this with. You're my favorite guy. And it's not close, man,

(13:29):
and it's not a knock to nobody. I just feel
different when I'm sitting next to you doing ready. I
learn as I get to evolve, and I get to
give the fans what I am, and that comes from
what I tell you. Drive and I'll follow right well, VJA.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
And some thing I love most about you and all
the other things is your passion, Thank you man, And
that's what it's all about. I mean, I tell young
people in this industry, look, it's not going to be
an easy road, and there's certainly no guarantees. I've been
very fortunate over the years, had a lot of luck involved,
but the bottom line was, I can't do.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Anything else right. I was a stat forward in the first.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Baseball cards I collected sixty years ago, and there's nothing
else I can do.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
So I had to make this work. How do I
make a.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Living in sports?

Speaker 2 (14:19):
And to be a part of the original six ninety
And we were right place, right time.

Speaker 7 (14:24):
So you've made quite the living Steve you. Yes, right,
I haven't really had a chance to say that. I've
worked in you now for I don't know, seven eight
years yep. And yeah, you are an encyclopedia of sports.
You were one of the best sports thinkers that I've
ever met. If not the best. You know everything. You're like,
we don't need Google, we don't need AI searches. We

(14:46):
have Steve Hartman and you are a friend of mine too.
Have been your home, I've met your sister, I've met
your family, and I'm.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Very proud to call your friend.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Thank you, Sam, I appreciate it's very fulfilling.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Really only Encyclopedia things, Sam, And this is true. My
wife can attest to this. Do you know Samsung songs?
I sit and I try to come up with stats
and numbers that he just might not know, so that
I'm not on the impossible right. It's like, okay, would
he know this? This punter? What high school did he
go to? You trying to come up with the weirdest stuff?
Because you're right, Encyclopedia, I don't even think that's the

(15:19):
right worst. Dump the Steve. It's got right, it's hard
to do. They stole They probably got that from this guy.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Uh yeah, we did way back before there was internet.
It was Stump Homer with my great partner of the
late great at chef forty. All right, everyone, thank you
so much. I really appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Man. But here's the bottom line.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
VJ.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
We got a show to do. Yeah, i'ming up on
the other side. We got nine games around the National
Football League. We'll keep you updated with scores and everything else.
One other quick note, however, this show is sponsored by
DraftKings Sportsbook, an official sports betting partner of the NFL.
Right now, use the promo code Fox Game. That's Fox
game to claim your special offer at DraftKings. DraftKings, the

(15:56):
crown is yours. Don't forget that promo code Fox Game
of VJ. Hey, you got a DraftKings pick for us
right now?

Speaker 3 (16:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Sure. Doing one of the early games, this Rams Eagles
game was only three and a half for the Eagles
for them to win the over unders forty four and
a half. Take the over on this very interesting numbers.
Eighty four percent of the money came in on Philly,
but fifty two percent of the money came in on
Philly to cover They're already up seven to nothing. That
was one of my big things that I looked at

(16:23):
when I looked at all the early games. Take the
over in the forty four and a half and go
with to fifty two percent of the bets that have
come in to DraftKings for Philly to cover the three
and a half points at home against the Rams, already
up seven to nothing.

Speaker 2 (16:34):

Speaker 1 (17:31):
Let's see he's in. Let's your touchdown. It worked again
as the Rams coodn't stop it.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
That's ninety four WIP Eagles Radio Network Rams of Answer
Back with the Field goes seven to three. Eagles lead
four minutes ago in the first quarter of that game.

Let's do a quick rundown of the score bar right now.
Packers Browns no score. Seven minutes ago in the first quarter,

(18:23):
there Colts with an early ten to three lead on
the road against the Titans. Bengals trailing the Vikings seven nothing.
We got the Steelers up seven to nothing against the Patriots,
as you mentioned, Eagles lea the Rams seven to three,
Jets early three to nothing lead against the Buccaneers, Commanders
seven to three lead over the Raiders, Panthers seven nothing
o the Falcons, and in the game the figures to

(18:45):
be a low scoring affair Texans and Jaguars no score.
All right, so it's you know I was gonna mention
the very top of the show last week was a
very high scoring week.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
It's one of the highest scoring week twos we have
in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
You and I are on the same when it comes
to the idea that usually it takes offenses a week
a month or so to sort of catch up defenses dominated.
But yeah, there was something like what nine teams that
scored at least thirty points? So what do you make
for this sudden offensive explosion so early in the NFL season?

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Defensive injuries If you go down the league, including my
Miami Mighty Miami Dolphins, they had every starting corner out
Thursday night against the Bills, they had four corners out
and then one win out the game they lost five corners.
The defenses are getting killed injury bug and injury rise
right now, as we see in the defensive scoring going
on too. So maybe the points are gonna is gonna continue.

(19:38):
But I also do think that the teams that we've
seen the explosions that we've seen the points come out of,
also steve they have the talent, they got the players,
they got the quarterback, the receivers to do it. It
normally does take a couple of weeks for the offenses
to start to get in gear. Defenses normally step out.
That's why we see some of these uneven games in
week one, and then still in week two you still
saw some uneven games, but the scoring did start to

(19:59):
step up. But these defensive man are getting just slacked
in the secondary. You go through the lead a lot
of teams missing guys that can cover, and that's going
to affect the score. That's going to affect the passing game.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
We have a pick six for the Vikings as they
up their lead to thirteen to nothing, pennying the extra
point right now. Jake Branning, of course, in a quarterback
for the injured Joe Burrow. Fourteen nothing Vikings six minutes
ago in the first quarter. So last week, you know,
the Bengals two to zero, despite the fact that not
only was Joe Burrow hurt, but you know, really offensively,

(20:31):
they hadn't done much with Joe Burrow the first couple
of weeks. Everyone says, well, maybe they won't be all
that bad. Well bad start today. Remember, of course, Carson
Wentz is in a quarterback for the Vikings right now.
He's throwing an early touchdown pass after JJ McCarthy got
injured in a tough second game.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
For him in his NFL career. So it's it's musical
chairs with these quarterbacks. I mean, we're only in week
three and you look at Mac Jones right now, the
forty nine ers.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
We're looking at a lot, a lot of backup quarterbacks
that are propping up very early in the season.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
Five starting quarterbacks are out today, guys five, and that
I haven't looked this up. I believe that might be
an NFL record by week three, five starting quarterbacks are out.
And listen, I listened to Hardball Talk the other night
about Herbert and when they were calling that game, the
commentators what they keep saying. He is dead set on
one thing, protecting Justin Herbert, because he thinks, with that guy,

(21:28):
we can get to a super Bowl. But if you
lose your quarterback, the Bengals now have no shot. We
know that we don't know how long Jaye's gonna be out.
We don't know how long Carson can keep this going.
They got to pick six throws, the stars down pass.
He is a veteran, he's done it before. He's played
in high profile games. He's playing in high tension moments
in the NFL, so he's not new. You're not gonna
throw a defensive scheme at Carson Wentz that he's not
gonna know what to do with or how to process.

(21:50):
But he's older, his body's a little slow like Uncle
Flaccoll right by. He's a little slower, a little older.
But you got some of these other Jayden Daniels. I
don't like that injury because he's a mobile quarterback. People
talked about when he was at Arizona State. He is
slightly built. Yes, you can run, you can move. Listen,
even Lamar Jackson started to throw some muscle on his
body and got some trappieces muscles and some triceps, and

(22:10):
say he's not the guy that came in out of Louisville.
You gotta put Jalen Hurts squats five hundred pounds. You
gotta put somebody and some meat on you man to
play this position. If you're gonna be mobile and move around.
This is trending in a very very danger light thing
about how long is slacko last? Right, they're gonna be
They played well played that Gabriel last week.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
This I mean we can go back to the Randal Cunninghams,
the Cam Newton's guys whose careers and it prematurely because
they're running so much they are going.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
To be open to injury.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
All right, So we're off to a fast start around
the National Football League. Now let's find out what is trending.
And Moncey Belanya, that's another one that's had a huge
part in my success.

Speaker 10 (22:49):
Listen so much, Manci pleasure.

Speaker 11 (22:51):
That's all it's been on my own, absolute pleasure. It's
been such a fun ride getting to be a part
of your journey. So thanks letting me be a part
of it. Let's get into the NFL Week three. A
lot going on, but only one touchdown.

Speaker 10 (23:05):
I'm eating, so don't worry people. I'm not dying. I'm eating.
I'm howing know. I'm having a bowl right now. I'm
not dying.

Speaker 11 (23:09):
I'm sorry. Oh yeah, I want to eat my snacks.
That's what it is.

Speaker 10 (23:13):
But thank you.

Speaker 11 (23:15):
There's been actually one touchdown pass so far. Everything else
has been rushing touchdowns. Like the Panthers on the scoreboard,
a rushing touchdown by Bryce Young.

Speaker 10 (23:23):
They're up on the Falcons at home seven zero.

Speaker 11 (23:26):
By the way, most of these games are either late
in the first quarter or like halfway through the first quarter.

Speaker 10 (23:30):
Just so I don't keep saying that to you. Jaguars.

Speaker 11 (23:33):
On the scoreboard, it looks like against the Texans at
home seven zero Marcus Mariota rushing touchdown for the Commanders
in for the injured Jade and Daniels as VJ was
just mentioning. Commanders up on the Raiders seven to three.
Jets and Buccaneers in Tampa are tied at three apiece.
Eagles in the end zone with a Jalen Hurts rushing touchdown.
They're up on the Rams seven to three. Steelers in
the end zone with the Kenneth game Weall rushing touchdown.

(23:56):
They're up on the Patriots seven zero. Vikings had that
touchdown pass Carson Wentz connected with Josh Oliver, but Isaiah
Rodgers with an eighty seven yard pick six. They're up
on the Bengals fourteen zero as well. Now the Colts
are on top of the Titans ten to three. Colts
had their own pick six, Kenny Moore with a pick
six on Cam Award, so it's ten to three against
the Titans.

Speaker 10 (24:17):
Packers and Browns are scoreless late in the first quarter.

Speaker 11 (24:20):
Other news in the sports in the WNBA, Las Vegas
Aces Star Asian Wilson won the MVP Award, becoming the
first player in league history to win the honor four times.
And bam Adebayo, who is not her boyfriend, who they're
not dating, they're just friends, gave her the.

Speaker 10 (24:38):
Award just friends.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
I'm just saying what they tell me.

Speaker 10 (24:43):
I tell you what they tell me.

Speaker 11 (24:45):
And the WNBA playoffs continue. There's a doubleheader today semifinals.
The Aces are gonna host a fever game one that's
at three eastern. Mercury take on the links for their
game one five eastern.

Speaker 10 (24:55):
Congratulations again and back to you guys.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
A thank you so much. Manche He's sacking with you
a little bit later on again. Nine games around the
National Football League going on right now End Zone Radio.
Steve Harbin, VJ. Husky with you in our Fox Sports
Radio studios. Coming up later today, a battle of unbeatens
in the NFC West Cardinals on the road against the
forty nine ers. Joining us right now, should be on

(25:18):
the sidelines from Fox. Christina pink is joining us for
the first time in twenty twenty five. Christina, It's always
great to catch up with you, you know. VJ and
I were just talking about this situation with backup quarterbacks
right now? What's the feel for the forty nine ers
with mac Jones in right now?

Speaker 12 (25:36):
For Brock Pirdy, it's crazy, Yeah, the backups that's taken
over in Week three. But there's a lot of confidence
in mac Jones. Obviously, a lot of that comes with
the fact that he's a guy who's a former starter.
He's a guy who played well in Week two in
that performance in New Orleans, but just a guy that
Kyle Shanahan has coveted for a long time. He talked

(25:56):
to us about, you know, his college tape and he's
got a familiarity with the system. He played well in college.
But Shanahan really loves this guy. And I was talking
to a few of his teammates and he's got a
little bit of a swagger to him, like Bosa talks
about that. This week, Trent Williams talk to me about it.
He said, you know, this is a guy that needs
a fresh start. We're hoping that he gets a second chance.

(26:19):
You've seen that with so many guys around the league,
like Gino Smith and Sam Darnold, and they're confident in
the way he's played and hopefully he can do the
same thing today for them at home.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
Christine, always a pleasure of vj Arnold Husky here. I
can't wait to see you some Laker and Clipper games
down the line, and we can wrap a little more.
But let's let's stick with these qbs and flip to
the other side, because the Cardinals has got a guy
I love. That's the little role runner. To me, man,
that guy can win you some games and do some
special things. But the Cardinals seem to be this team.
They're sitting at two and oh right now people kind

(26:48):
of don't believe in them or are we still waiting
to see what what's your feeling of what we're going
to get out of them today? And then moving forward,
Kylin Murr, how well he's gonna play?

Speaker 12 (26:57):
Yeah, maybe the most underrated I guess the beatings you
could say, but that might be just the way, like
Kyler is failing the best he's felt in a few years.
That's actually something he told us when we talked to
him last night. And you know, you see that ability.
He's running the ball again, he's extending plays and so
they're hoping to get their run game going. But for them,

(27:17):
it's all about as we know, it starts and end
to Kyler. Their defense is played well as well, But
the big thing for them is they want to finish right.
They're two and no, but they don't feel like they've
played their best football because they let both of those
teams come back in weeks one and two. So for them,
it's like, we got to put together four quarters of football.
We got to play well from start to finish. So
they feel like they're not playing their best right now.

(27:39):
They're hoping that they can bring that out today in
Santa Clara.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Yeah, I was going to say that Arizona run defense
could be a big challenge today for the forty nine ers.
Christian McCaffrey VG and I look, everyone knows this about
the forty nine ers.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
You got to have a healthy Christian McCaffrey.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
If you don't have a healthy Christian McCaffrey, this team
goes from Super Bowl contended to very ordinary offensively. What
is his condition? I know he has him in super
productive the first couple of weeks. Is he healthy? Are
they still confident that they can get the high level
of production they usually get from a healthy Christian McCaffrey.

Speaker 12 (28:17):
Well, yeah, he's healthy. He's feeling good. And I think
the big thing with him is, yeah, he hasn't put
up the big numbers in the run game, but he's
still getting a ton of touches. He's been a big
factor for them catching the football as well. We know
he's got great hands. Kyle shan had actually said this
week that he feels like he's the best route runner
of backs we've seen in the league. So yeah, they
want to get more going on the ground, but they

(28:38):
also want to make sure they're not overloading him right
because you are, you know, you're so injured right now.
They've got no Kittle, no I use, They've got receivers down,
they got their backup quarterback in there, so you know,
the tendency is to lean more on Christian McCaffrey. So
he's going to get a lot of touches. It's not
something that they go win thinking like we have to
manage him, but they want to keep him around for
the long haul as well.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
And speaking of that running back position and any word
or how many running backs they plan on use it,
I know they make the big trade from the Commanders.
They get the robbers and kid who I love. I
thought that was foolish for Washington to let him go
and look with it. Look look at look what's happening
there now. But just any sense of the words you've
been here just pre gaming for the game, of a
sense of how many running backs they plan on using it,

(29:17):
I think that's going to tell us how they honestly
really feel about McCaffrey's ability moving forward.

Speaker 12 (29:23):
Yeah, it's not something we talk to them about specifically.
I know they are pretty comfortable with all of their backs,
but you know, b rob Brian Robinson, as we've mentioned,
hasn't really like popped off for them a ton this year,
but probably because we've seen a lot more of McCaffrey
and him being healthy. But they made the trade for him,
so they obviously want to get him in here, get
them some more carries out of the backfield. But we'll

(29:45):
see today hopefully. I guess how they plan to use
running backs more moving forward, but we didn't talk to
them specifically about how they're going to do v up
those carries.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Well, Christina, we always appreciate the time. Looking forward to
watching the game later this afternoon. Battle of unbeatens in
the NFC West Cardinals and forty nine Ers Christina will
talk to you down the road.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Thanks so much, thank you, Thank you, Christina and Joy.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
That bless all right, Christina Pink.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
By the way, remember last week the Rams and we
were talking about all the targets for DeVante Adams and
how Matthew Stafford seemed to be forcing the ball. Well,
just paid off forty four yard touchdown pass Matthew Stafford
to DeVante Adams and the Rams have rebounded after an
early seven to nothing hole to take that lead ten

(30:30):
to seven over the Eagles last year. As you remember,
in their divisional round playoff game, they were playing in
the snow. It's like seventy degrees. The weather is good
right now. By the way, that first Eagle touchdown was
it was the push again. I mean that thing is
really I you know, it was like I think the
difference was what Bow, mister resident Eagle insider, was like

(30:52):
two votes of surviving has barely survived the vote from
the competition committee. But with all the controvert surrounding, especially
the game against the Chiefs or a lot of people
felt like they were getting false starts and they were
getting away with this and everything else.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Are you getting a sense Bow that they're going to
finally say enough.

Speaker 13 (31:12):
Yeah, I think you can tell the shift is in
the way they're talking about it, where it's now it's
difficult to officiate. Yeah, so that will be the excuse
they used to get rid of it. And honestly, that's fine.
They can get rid of it. And then Jalen Hurts
will just convert quarterback sneaks at a ninety five percent cliff.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
Thank you, right the guy, he guy squats five pounds exactly.
And here here's here's my thing, bo all be it
the Chiefs right, who's been starting, who've been having false
starts on their tackles for the last three years, allbit
them to be the game that we looked at it
and go, oh my god. You know look, look the
guards off side the ten. God shut like, I'm so

(31:47):
tired of this. It's it's a football play.

Speaker 13 (31:49):
When I was growing up the game, when a team
developed something that worked, the answer was not too legislated
out of the games.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
It was just to figure out how to stop, how
to do it copycat? Yeah, the way at lead.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Yeah, here's the other thing you talk about. If you
look at the line of scrimmage, Okay, technically seven guys
have to be on the line of scrimmage score in
the backfield. Look at these offensive tackles. They are a
good two steps off the line, two steps back of
the line we're doing to get set up. I don't
blame if they can get away with it, but if

(32:20):
you're really gonna enforce rules like this, we'll see what happens.
But right now, Rams lead that game by a score
of ten to seven. This show is sponsor by DraftKings
Sportsbook and Officials sports betting partner of the NFL.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
Right now, use the promo code.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
Fox Game that's Fox Game to claim your special offer
at DraftKings. DraftKings, the crown is yours and don't forget
that promo code Fox Game.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
All right, VJ, what do you got for us for
a DraftKings pick?

Speaker 1 (32:44):
Well, one already cash in. My first touchdown was Jalen
Hurts at a plus four fifty, So I'll take that
one right there. But also in this Raiders Commander's Game,
which is really really interesting game for me because I
don't think it's the runaway for the Commanders that people
may think it is the Raiders on a row. I
took the Raiders with this two and a half. I
just think that they're gonna show up defensively. I know

(33:04):
Deebo had the big kick return to start the game,
but I believe the score is still seven to three
right now. Look for the Raiders defense to make something happen.
Remember they're facing a backup quarterback. There's five starting today.
Watch all three of these games. See what's defense and
which offensive line helps to back up. That's what's gonna
determine whether they'll be successful today or not. But give

(33:26):
me the Raiders man with the point. I'll take the
Raiders and the points in this one. All right.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
We are turning the page into the second quarter of
games around the NFL. Nine games going on right now.
The scores, the stats, the analysis will break it down
for you. This is end zone radio.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
Stafford is in Eagles territory.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
Cloy fake rules around the deal, steps up in drys
one full sen left.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
Side Devon Tay Adams.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
Touch that away, come fum out of the right hand
of Stafford.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
Adam scores for the second week in a row.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
That's the Rams radio networks.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
So I guess practice makes perfect and the connection work.
The Rams have the ten to seven lead early in
the second quarter on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles.
End Zone Radio Steve Harbin VJ. Husky with you here
in our Fox Sports Radio studios. All right, I'm gonna
jump on you again. This show is sponsored by DraftKings Sportsbook,

Speaker 3 (34:19):
Right now, use the promo code Fox Game.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
That's Fox Game to claim your special offer DraftKings, DraftKings.
The grant is yours. Don't forget that's promo code Fox Game.
Once again, VJ, do you have for us a DraftKings pick.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
I'm looking at these afternoon games and then even tomorrow night.
I got something special for tomorrow night's game, and I
think that might be one of the best games of
the early season so far. But some of these evening games,
we already talked to the wonderful lovely Miss Christina Pink
for the Niners in the cars. But this Chiefs Giants game,
this evening really has my attention because we saw two

(34:54):
different Giant teams over the last two weeks, right, and
we keep kind of seeing the same Chiefs game six
point favorites on the road. I do not like that.
Give me the Giants to cover and take this under
on the forty four and a half. I think both
defenses play well. Can Russell Wilson do that again? Right?
You know if he does, hey great, I just don't

(35:16):
think he can. So I'll take the under because the
Chiefs can't score twenty points. So the Chiefs can lose
this game twenty to seventeen. And you're sitting and you're
sitting pretty into forty four and a half. If you
want to take the Giants straight up, it's a plus
two forty five. If you just want to just take yeah,
you just want to take the Giants on the money line,
it's a plus two forty five. But give me the Giants.
I definitely like them covering the six points this evening

(35:36):
at home against the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
I mean, everybody just was stunned.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Four hundred and fifty yards passing for Russell, and if
it wasn't for a miraculous field goal to tie that
game up sixty four yard er, Giants would have come
away with the upset victory.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
It's a bad pick, too, Steve. He did he throws
the terrible rainbow.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
I know, but you know what, but his rainbow throws.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
I mean, the guy does throw a pretty good defense,
the best out of hanging out the same thing with
an Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball down the field. All right,
update on the scoreboard. Jaguars lead the Texans seven nothing.
These are all second quarter scores. Panthers over the Falcons
seven to nothing. Commanders lead the Raiders seven to three.
The Buccaneers have just scored on a Baker Mayfield pass.

(36:18):
He's seven to eight one hundred and five yards, ten
to six. Buccaneers lead the Jets, Rams over the Eagles,
ten to seven. Steelers up early fourteen nothing over the Patriots.
Aaron Rodgers six of seven sixty one yards and a score.
Vikings all over the Bengals fourteen to nothing. Browns are
trailing the Packers three nothing. Low scoring for her. That
Brown's defense is for real. They maybe zero to two,

(36:41):
but it ain't because of that defense. And the Colts
have jumped on the Titans seventeen to three. At what
point do we start taking Daniel Jones seriously? He's seven
to ten one hundred and fourteen yards. You know, it's
like an ongoing joke this week about you know, is
he under MVP consideration? By the way, also doing it
with his legs, two carries twenty three yards. In fact,

(37:04):
right now he is the Colts offense. Jonathan Taylor has
five carries for eight yards, and yet there's up seventeen
to three because of the arm and legs of Daniel Jones.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
Yeah, I think what this is with Daniel Jones, and
I think honestly two and a half we's guys is
enough to be able to look at a player, maybe
not a team, but a player say Okay, he's this
or this. What I think Daniel Jones is doing is proven.
I got one more shot, Like I got one more
shot at this to either get another deal or to
be looked at as a franchise starting quarterback or I'm
gonna end up just being in the back of for

(37:35):
the rest of my career. I got an opportunity here.
We're not in a hard division. It is a it's
a coin flip division. Nobody knows what's gonna happen in
this AFC South. We all think, we think when we
did our preview, nine wins can win you this division.
Ten definitely does it because it's done at the back
to back years for the Houston Texas. So I think
he looked at this situation and he goes, Okay, this

(37:55):
is good. We see what's happening with the Texans. They
haven't jumped out there. I have an opportunity. Need to
just show one more time and a lot of time, Steve,
that's no Baker Mayfield right goes, goes comes out here
to the Rams, is Carolina, these different seams. He had
that one more shot to show people. Listen, if you
give me some competent coaching, you get me a weapon

(38:15):
or two, and in five guys that can stand up
and at least block seventy percent of the time, I
can make some things happen. You're saying he's doing it
with his legs. Daniel's always been able to move. I'm
not a Dan Jones guy. But what I see right
now as a guy who thinks this is his last
shot of his career to really make something of it,
and he's taken full advantage of it. I have to
tit my hat. I respect that.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
We've seen this story before and we'll see it many
times in the future about quarterbacks getting in the right system.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
Jim Plunket with the Raiders, I mean he.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
Was giving up for dead dead at least by the
forty nine ers. After they got that into the trade
with the Patriots, Raiders signed him, sat on the bench
the entire year, first year, next fifteen passes. A year later,
he's winning a superl don't Sam Darnold, we see it Smith.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
I didn't even know Geno Smith was still in.

Speaker 2 (39:02):
The league, remember, and all of a sudden he's at
the Stafford Well, but Matthew Stafford was still I've talked
about guys who literally disappeared, gone completely, And so when
you think of Gino Smith, he was gone. When you
think of someone like Sam Darnible gone, Yes, Red's a
record with the Vikings, right, So there this happens.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
Look, if you can play a quarterback at this level, you.

Speaker 2 (39:27):
Got talent, but you got to be surrounded by the
right pieces and you have to be in a system
that fits your talent. And it's so frustrating to me
when I look back on many quarterbacks over the history
of the NFL who had great collegiate careers never pan
out in the NFL and immediately bust. And now I'm like,
wrong place, wrong time. And sometimes you get lucky, like

(39:51):
a Joe Montana did as a third round pick to
join Bill Wall Shore, Dan Foutz, who was a complete
zero until Don Coriel showed up up created an offense
and put Dan Fouts in.

Speaker 3 (40:02):
The Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
How about Dan Marinos slotting because of the marijuana accusations
coming out of pit not Miami. He gets to Don
Shula like.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
A team coming off a Super Bowl appearance.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
Absolutely like it is all about the surrounding and really quick.
Tom Brady said it a week ago on Collin Show.
We assume too much that these front offices and teams
know how to develop quarterbacks. We assume way too much.
A lot of people don't know how to do it.
So it's easy to blame the quarterback than to take
accountability and then you know, move on to another guy

(40:31):
and research your franchise back.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Hi, We're heading to halftime of nine games around the NFL.
Will continue to cover it as only we can.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
This is end.

Speaker 2 (40:39):
Zone Radio rolling along on the third big Sunday of
this NFL season. End Zone Radio. We're in the Fox
Sports Radio studios. Nine games around the NFL currently underway
as we are closing in on halftime.

Speaker 3 (40:55):
Across the board, one game I want to get to right.

Speaker 2 (40:58):
Off the top here, Falcons at the Panthers. So last
week we saw Atlanta lose that heartbreak to the Buccaneers.
Baker Mayfield, by the way, definitely got himself into the
MVP conversation with his very gutsy performance out there, and
I was very curious to see.

Speaker 1 (41:17):
How Atlanta would react.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Remember, they had the big win against the Vikings to
open up their season. They seem to be in a
position to beat the Buccaneers to put them to two
to zero. Instead, they're one and one on the road
against the winless Panthers and look out ten nothing Carolina
five minutes to go in the first half. Pennix is
doing pretty much nothing. Bijon Robinson six carries, nineteen yards,

(41:40):
no running game for the Falcons. And then you look
at Bryce Young. I think you and I have been
sort of holdouts on Bryce Young, you know, saying it's
not over. We followed him back to his high school days.
You covered his game, so you know all about Bryce Young.
You know the character of this young man. You know
size is a problem either, there's no way around it.

(42:02):
But early in this game nine to fourteen eighty nine yards,
he's also had a rushing touchdown. Is it still too
early to write off Bryce Young as a potential, at
the very least franchise quarterback for the Panthers.

Speaker 1 (42:16):
Absolutely, one hundred percent. That's premature, too early, ringing the bell,
throwing them out. We just talked about that during the
last segment before you went to break. Now I'll keep
referencing because it was just so real. I think he's
one of the best talkers of football on TV all radio,
and that's Tom Brady. When he speaks, I listen because
the man, like ten super Bowl appears to seven rings,
I might want to listen to what the guy has

(42:37):
to say about the game of football. That's just the
way that's gonna go. And you have to develop guys.
You have to have an offensive coordinator that gets what
abilities a kid has, a young man has, what receivers?
Offensive line like, where are your stress Like? If you
don't have a good guard and center, combo, why do
you keep running there? That's not a good that's not
gonna work. You gotta find different ways to get your playmates,

(43:00):
and you gotta protect Bryce Young. I'm I'm far from
calling Bryce Young a bus because you see the talent,
you see the arm talent. The kid's toughest nails too.
You want to talk about size. He's been getting beat
up his first two years in the league, and he
is not wine crowd complaint or lipped over to the
sideline and put a towel over his head and an
earpiece in his ear to listen to the place when
the backup goes in. He's done none of that. All

(43:21):
he keeps doing is getting up, running off the field,
and I'm pretty sure in his head he's like, come on, guys,
y'all are gonna get me killed out here. But no,
it's way too early to throw the flag in on
my man. B wy br Yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:33):
Well again, everyone always talks sides. I remember years and
years ago having a conversation with Doug Flutie when he
came to San Diego started a full year, and you know,
he makes the point, first of all, I've always been
this size, right, So, whether I was in high school
or in college, it wasn't like I was playing in
front of guys and we're five foot nine on my
offensive line. They've always been big guys. I know how

(43:54):
to see down the field, I know my lanes. Nothing
has changed no matter what level I play at. This
is the same thing with shorter quarterbacks, whether it's a
Russell Wilson or Drew Brees or you know, to a
tongue by law whoever. I mean, the perspective they see
on the field has never changed, and so that to
me has been overplayed. You know when a shorter quarterback

(44:17):
is not playing well, well, look at him. I mean
Kyler Murray, I mean, come on, legit Pro Bowl selection.
He seems to be doing just fine. So I'm with you.
I think Bryce Young, we still have to see a
lot more before we can say that is not going
to happen for him.

Speaker 1 (44:31):
Also too, with size real lu quick. You know when
you hear Steve when an offensive lineman gets pushed five
yards backwards in the ball and then the defensive linean
is able to bat it down, that's the first thing
that comes out of the detractor's mouths. Or look he's
too small, Well, yeah, his six to six tackle just
got pushed into his lap. So the six to five
defensive end can jump and throw both hands up which

(44:51):
are like softball mits, and back the ball down. Let's
let's just make sure we get full context when we
start criticizing SARAH players, especially a guy like Bryce Shawn.

Speaker 2 (44:59):
All Right, Packers are finding out what every team's gonna
find out when they play the Cleveland Browns. They got
a defense. It is three nothing Green Bay with just
three minutes to go in the first half. The stats
are not great for either team offensively, Jordan Love ten
to thirteen, only sixty five yards passing. They only have
forty four yards on the ground, twenty one yards for

(45:20):
Josh Jacobs and Cleveland has no offense.

Speaker 3 (45:24):
I mean, what are you what are you gonna do?

Speaker 2 (45:25):
I mean Joe Flacco six of eight forty three yards.
All right, I've been telling you about this. I know
you want to give one of the rookies an opportunity
to get it done. But next week you're at the Lions.
Then you get the Vikings at home again one of
the best defenses in the league. And then on the
road against the Steelers. That's a murderers row in terms
of opposing defenses. And you know, then then then then

(45:49):
you have that opening. You got a home game against
the Dolphins, sorry, I know your Dolphins. Then you have
at the Patriots at the Jets. That's the little three
game window. If you're going to break in a rookie
quarterback for the Browns, that is the time to do it.
But throw it him to the Wolves right now. Yes,
we're gonna do it on the road against the Lions.

(46:09):
You're gonna unleash the Viking defense on him. How about
at Pittsburgh, Well, that'd be a great place for a
rookie quarterback to open his career.

Speaker 1 (46:16):
And you'll know why, Steve, simply because it will make
them better down the road. If you start a guy
gets a team that you perceive to be an easier opponent.
What is that telling him? What is that telling the
rest of the team. What is that telling the fan base?
What is that telling the front office?

Speaker 8 (46:34):
No?

Speaker 1 (46:35):
Guess what, because get at some point in your career.
I don't care if it start one, if it starts
thirty one, you're gonna have to face an all pro
Aiden Hutchison. You're gonna have to face a Garrett coming
off coming off the airs. You're gonna have to face
I might. It's going to happen, So I much rather
it happen to you now, then later after you got

(46:56):
comfortable to get some cupcakes and then the next thing
you know, bam, we're playing the Packers. On the road
on the Thursday night in November. Oh, by the way,
it's forty one degrees the night, and Michael Parsons is
ticked off. He's coming at no. If you're gonna do it,
just throw them in in another point. Listen, if all
for all be it that they can't score with Flaco,
they've not scored more than sixteen points. They have no

(47:19):
points on the board today, Cleveland, what are you doing?
Why not just find if it isn't s your door? Guys, fine,
I'm past that. Did put to start Dylan gabriel A.
At least you know what you're gonna get out of him.
He's good, You're gonna get rookie mistakes. But with Flacco
you keep holding on to Come on, dude, they got
zero points today. They can't score. They had sixteen against

(47:39):
the Bengals defense. The Bengals defense, who you and I
rip time to time all summer long? Sixteen points? Yeah,
you can't move the football with him in it, man,
Come on, We'll tell you.

Speaker 2 (47:48):
One team struggling right now is those Bengals. They're being
shut out in the first half right now by the
Vikings seventeen to nothing and Jake Browning.

Speaker 3 (47:58):
It's interesting, you know.

Speaker 2 (47:59):
You you get excited right when a backup quarterback comes
into a game, right and they seem to perform.

Speaker 3 (48:04):
Well, that was Jake Browning last week.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
Well, guess what the Vikings and that great defense they
got a chance to look at Jake Browning in the
film six to ten, thirty two yards, no touchdowns, in
a pick, they have no running game. They have total
of fifty two yards of total offense with seven minutes
ago in the first half. So when you have a
great defensive coordinators the Vikings do, and the kind of

(48:28):
defensive weapons the Vikings do, they can make quick work
of a suspect quarterback like Jake Browning.

Speaker 1 (48:34):
What I tell you guys last week, last week, I
guarantee you the Jacksonville Jaguars they watched zero tape on
Jake Browning. So when he comes into the game, his
cadence is different, his trump back is different, his release
is different, which means the receivers have to run different
routes a different way. Everything you watched the whole film
goes out the window. Now you get flores in a

(48:56):
whole week as my illustrious now Hall of Fame. You know,
what's really cool about you don't have to tell everybody
you got a Hall of Fame vote anymore. You got
a hies of vote, Like you're a Hall of Famer dude.
Like you don't even have to tell people.

Speaker 3 (49:09):
About your vote.

Speaker 1 (49:10):
It's like, yeah, I got vote. I don't don't worry
about my vote because I got voted in, like you
are the vote now.

Speaker 14 (49:16):
But when you think about, yeah, let's get eric, I
love it. But if you when you look at these backups,
they you get tape on them if they were so
good and bo, you know, you and I have had
backup discussions so many times.

Speaker 1 (49:33):
Man, if you're that good, you'd be on you'd be
a starter on one of the there's because there's not
thirty two good starting quarterbacks. So don't tell me this
backups all that. He can't even start on another team. So, uh,
they got the tape on him in the in the Bengals.
This is this is back bo really fast, you said,
Joe Burrow. Remember he's gonna ask out. You can't now,

(49:56):
not missing three months, you can't.

Speaker 5 (49:57):
Now.

Speaker 1 (49:57):
You know who's gonna ask out now, Jamar Chase because
reis Devas.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
Right, Yeah, they are. I mean, and we saw DeVante Adams.
We've seen receivers do it before and successful and getting
their services going elsewhere. Interesting matchup in New England today,
two minutes to go in they have there Pittsburgh at
the Patriots, both teams sitting at one to one, and
it's one of those games as early as the season

(50:23):
is where are they legit? I mean, a lot of
people picking the Patriots this year to be one of
the more improved teams.

Speaker 3 (50:31):
Around the NFL.

Speaker 2 (50:31):
Drake May, by the way, so far, off to a
good start ten of fifteen ninety seven yards in a score.
And of course this is going to be an ongoing
argument all season long about the Steelers, with predictions including
this guy over here that this indeed will be Mike
tomlins first losing season as a head coach. Aaron Rodgers
off to a good start today eight of ten seventy
yards and a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (50:51):
But this is one of.

Speaker 2 (50:52):
Those early season games where you start sizing them up, like, okay,
are the Patriots really going to be that much better?
By the way, Raak May, it's been sacked three times
by that Steeler front, and are the Steelers as good
with Aaron Rodgers as they've been the last couple of years,
where despite some very uneven play, they still find a
way to sneak into the postseason.

Speaker 1 (51:13):
And you know what, those are great questions because we
still don't have the answer because it's listen, they're both
one and one. Nobody thinks either one of these teams
are winning their division, right, we all did our preview.
I don't think any of us had the stealers. I
think bow might have as a wildcard, so and nobody
thought the Patriots are gonna make the player. So it's
one of those games where they're both one and one.
Do you kind of not care, but care? Right? Who

(51:36):
wins this game today? Because if the Steelers win, you go, well,
they went up and beat the Patriots. If the Patriots win,
you go well, I mean, people don't think Aaron Rodgers
has it anymore anyway. It's it's almost like a lose
lose situation if you either one of these teams, except
for it, you're either gonna come out of two and one.
Are you gonna come out of one and two? That's
the only give and take in my opinion for this
game today. It's one of the games I got my
eyes off of because it's like it's Patriot Steelers. I

(51:58):
think they're both under five hundred teams this year. So
you know, we'll see how it plays out for the
rest of the game.

Speaker 2 (52:02):
Two minute warning in that game right now, the Bengals,
I've gotten a field goal, so they finally get on
the board. Seventeen to three, Vikings lead for forty two
to go in the half.

Speaker 5 (52:13):
There.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
This show is sponsored by DraftKings Sportsbook, an official sports
betting partner of the NFL. Right now, use the promo

that's promo code Fox Game. All right, bj what you
got for us for a Draft Kings pick?

Speaker 1 (52:31):
Later on your Broncos, all right, the Chargers, man too.
I gotta jump out there as soon as I'm done
over here, man, Grandma Creditch getting it about half time, hopefully
at least, but eighty three percent of the money went
to the Charger. I like this two and a half points.
Vegas thinks it'll be tough because the Broncos do present
a defense other than when they play the coach the
over under on the forty five and a half. Take

(52:51):
the over, guys. I do think both these teams will
score some points. First touchdown plus one thousand. I'm liking
lad mcconky for some reason. I am. I'm liking and
driving down the field on the opening drive, running the
ball with with with their their rookie running back with
a Marion out of the backfield from North Carolina. Run run, run,
and then there's some type of play action drop that

(53:13):
bootleg lag corner of the end zone, and that's how
that's how they'll start seven to nothing. They get the
ball first. I think that first touchdown plus one thousand
to Lab mcconkeye. Take the charges with the two and
a half points, ladies and gentlemen. I like that one.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
Kyle Chargers go one other quick note here, keep an
eye in this Rams Eagles game. It is all Rams
one hundred and ninety two total yards to twenty six.
In fact, right now the Eagles have negative one.

Speaker 3 (53:40):
Net passing yards.

Speaker 1 (53:42):
This game is crazy. Bo Won't boy hasn't sat down yet.
I mean he's been standing up.

Speaker 2 (53:45):
I mean right now, the Eagles right Jalen hers A
for seventeen yards and there are Saquon Barkley. How about
five carries for five yards? Five carries five yards for
Saquon bark Laders do have tele d I said the
Rams were the team if they could have a healthy
Matthew Stafford, that would be the prime challenger to the Eagles.

(54:07):
We'll see how it plays out. Much more coming up.
This is end zone radio.

Speaker 1 (54:11):
Hand off right up the middle. That's Jeremy McNichols bouncing
off the.

Speaker 15 (54:14):
Three Railers breaks into the three forty twenty nine twenty
nine touchdown un tuckdown, Tom down, watch again, Sheriffy mcdickll
for the Raiders team.

Speaker 2 (54:29):
That's big one hundred Commanders Radio network Commanders lead the
Raiders seventeen to ten two minute warning in that game
once again.

Speaker 1 (54:38):
End Zone Radio.

Speaker 3 (54:39):
Here, Steve Harbin VJ. Husky with you.

Speaker 2 (54:41):
We're in the Fox Sports Radio studios, and we had mentioned,
by the way, the Rams have just added another field
goal nineteen to seven Rams. And it's not just the score, folks.
They are dominating the Eagles. So it's gonna be interesting
to see what happens in the second half. Nick Sirianni
company gonna have to find some answer against this Rams

(55:01):
defense that has just absolutely shut them down completely in
the first half of the game. And look, no knock
on Nick Siriani. He's he's a super Bowl winning coach.
He's been a couple of Super Bowls. But the guy
on the other side, Sean McVay, sometimes we lose sight
of the fact, you know, because he was so young,
the youngest you know, full time head coach in NFL history,

(55:22):
had all that early success and then soured on Jared
Goff insisted we got to get a better quarterback. He
got Matthew Stafford, won a Super Bowl. Then they fell
off the cliff the next year. It appeared like his
run was over. There was even talk that he was
gonna step away, maybe start a broadcast career, go to
John Gruden route. Instead he has stayed and you know,

(55:42):
this team over the last couple of years, digging an
early season hole, rebounded getting into the postseason. And don't
forget with the Eagles, you know, running over the Chiefs
and running over the Commanders. The one team that played
him tough outside of the fact they couldn't stop Saquon
Barkley last year was the Rams in that snow game
in Philadelphia. But Sean McVay. If you don't know this already,

(56:05):
he's a Hall of Fame coach. I mean, if this
guy puts twenty years in the NFL, I'm guessing that
he's still going to get another shot to win the
big game. He is that good of a coach holding
things together. They have completely rebuilt. We thought Aaron Donald retires,
how are you going to replace him? Well, how about
two of the top three finishers in the defensive Rookie
of year. They took the two Florida State kids last

(56:26):
year in the draft. Yes, both of them panned out
big time for them, and that defensive front is dominating
that Eagles offensive line so far in this game.

Speaker 1 (56:35):
Well, speaking about the Eagles offensive line, remember this isn't
the same offensive line of like the last four to
five years. There's been retirements, there's been injuries, there's been
a shuffle in this offensive line. But this also shows,
and I wrote this down quarterback head coach owners like
you have to have that in order in the National
Football League to be successful, and the Rams have that.

(56:57):
The Rams have that, and they got it locked in
pretty pretty damn perfectly. Man. If if you ask me,
I've always been a Matthew Stafford guy, I'm never gonna
I will. I will stand no Matthew Stafford slander in
my presence. He's in Hall of Famer. I get tired
of having that discussion with people. Yes, he's in the
Hall of Fame? Are you kidding me? Look at the
nervous and hes andies got that thing on his finger.

(57:17):
That's all I need to see. But when you look
at this Eagles team, which I still believe, in my opinion,
that's the best team in football. It's either them or
the Ravens. I know a lot of people want to
throw Buffalo of out there, but we saw kind of
how Buffalo can drop their head on Thursday night against
an under man and a severely overmatched team and the
Dolphins that you know, probably could have pulled that game up,
but did it. But when you look at what the
Rams keep doing, and last year they had a lot

(57:39):
of injuries, and they started with so many guys out,
and then you get to the end of the year
and then what happens. You lose Blake Coln to a
broken forearm on the last day of the revue season.
So now you get injuries there, Pookin Naku was banged up.
Cooper Cup wasn't the same player anymore. Now he's moved
on to the Seattle Seahawk. So when you look at
this team, it all is about Sean McVay. Man, it's

(58:00):
starts with him, and just off that tree, Him, Shanahan,
Mike McDaniel, Lafleur, All these guys are good football minds,
but you got kind of, in my opinion, you got
the best one of that group that came all off
the daddy, Shanahan Tree, Sean McVay. Let's just give this
man his flowers.

Speaker 8 (58:14):
And what a.

Speaker 1 (58:15):
Great football coach he is in leader of men, that's
important too. You can go to x's and o's, but
if you don't know how to handle the Jimmis and Joe's,
you got a fifty to fifty fail proposition.

Speaker 2 (58:26):
There we are talking about the Chiefs starting oh to two,
and only twelve percent of teams that start oh and
two make the postseason. You go oh and three. Six
teams total in the Super Bowl era have started owing
three and made the postseason. Your Dolphins obviously one of
the teams. Another potential OH and three start the Houston

(58:48):
Texans right now, trailing the Jaguars seven to three. That's
a battle of attrition right now. Neither one of these
teams doing much offensively. But if the Texans lose this game,
zero and three not impossible, but near impossible. Six total
teams have started owing three in the Super Bowl era

(59:08):
and actually made it to the postseason. We saw some
signs a year ago, but then Houston made it right
back to the Elite eight two years in a row.

Speaker 1 (59:18):
Elite eight. But right now is win that division though,
and you get a home playoff game.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
Then they got the home playoff game and blew out
the Chargers a year ago.

Speaker 3 (59:27):
Didn't just win blew them out. I don't know where
are you with CJ. Stroud right now?

Speaker 1 (59:31):
I'm still fifty to fifty. Only like, here's the thing.
Like the kid, another kid I covered when he's out here,
Ranchielkuckumugan High School. I called his state championship game and
a few of his playoff games. I've seen this kid
since he was sixteen seventeen years old. I like him,
But once again, is he with the franchise that knows
how to develop quarterbacks? Tell me any of those guys
on that offensive coaching staff are in that front office

(59:53):
that ever brought themselves a quarterback in in the Houston
Texas franchise and velouped him, Like, show me where that
guy is and I'll give you the answer there. I
think CJ has the tools, but he is missing taking
down The running game seems to be kind of fickle
off and on whether they want to you know, running
up the middle, or they want to run trick plays.

(01:00:14):
They did the pitchback throw play the other night, which like,
why why are you calling that? Just if you if
you've got a trick me, its mean because you can't
beat me gohead.

Speaker 13 (01:00:21):
But we might have an all time defensive game here
from Vikings defensive back A Rogers. All right, pick six
and you just force the fumble and return to that
for a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:00:29):
That's crazy. So the Vikings have done nothing offensively. Carson
Wentz only has fifty eight yards passing this.

Speaker 3 (01:00:35):
Game, but they're up twenty four to three.

Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
As you mentioned the pick six and now fumble return
for the touchdown. Steve looking out the Bengals twenty four to.

Speaker 7 (01:00:42):
Three, they get beautiful. They made my guy know a
fan fumble. I don't like to see that.

Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
No, Offen you got to learn how to hand handle
the football and hang on to the football. You can't
just have a guy knocking that easily out of your hand.
I gave up on No about a year ago.

Speaker 1 (01:00:57):
I would. I would. He was in Seattle though, when No,
that's what I start that we're looking to. I was like,
you know what, I like this guy that is with
the Broncos. Like but last year kind of like I did,
No offense might have topped out of what we wanted
him to be. It kind of just is what he is.
Serviceable to big body, decent blocker, but he's not the
level Likelport hockey Rockey.

Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
Again, the one thing you need from a big tight
end is hold on to the football.

Speaker 1 (01:01:25):
Yeah, you let a little guy punch it out Like side.

Speaker 2 (01:01:27):
The Vikings rebounding after a very disappointing last game, all
over the Bengals today twenty four to three, and it's
not their offense, it is their defense getting the job
done all right. The show is sponsor by DraftKings sportsbook

Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
Yes this afternoon. The Saint who need to go ohn
seventeen this year to make me look like a genius.
And then somehow everybody convinced Arch Manning to leave Texas
and go play where his granddaddy played. I think would
be one of the greatest offseason stories that we've ever had,
more overhype than anything else, probably when Lebron was coming
into the NBA. But in this game, I'm looking at
these touchdown, these first touchdown. Kenneth Walker seems to be

(01:02:20):
bad guys. And I called that last week and I said, yeah,
that's seeing a young buckeroo take your carriage behind you
in Zach Sharpney and starting to do productive things with it. Yeah,
I guarantee you them little nagg and Indrees getting well
real fast. His half give me his him as the
first touchdown today it's a plus three seventy and it's
a low hanging fruit. But I don't like Smith and
Jigbit plus six fifty. Cooper Cup is at a plus

(01:02:42):
eleven hundred. If you want to try to make some
real cash and take a big dive. ALV Kamarat plus
eight hundred first touchdown today Saints Seahawks Kenneth Walker the
third plus three seventy.

Speaker 3 (01:02:52):
Hope you're writing, you know he's all down.

Speaker 1 (01:02:54):
We are good, are bad?

Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
We are writing them all down for VJA right now
to find out what is trending as a month.

Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
Sea is back.

Speaker 10 (01:03:05):
I am back. Yeah, here we are.

Speaker 3 (01:03:06):
Some time in Florida.

Speaker 10 (01:03:08):
I did, I did.

Speaker 11 (01:03:10):
I'm tired from the vacation since you know, I went
crazy and did all theme.

Speaker 10 (01:03:15):
Parks every day. So it's a lot of walking and
I'm back.

Speaker 1 (01:03:19):
But you got it though, because you played volleyball. You
be out there spiking on Tuesday, Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

Speaker 11 (01:03:24):
It's yeah, yeah, Tuesday, Tuesdays, Tuesdays four four plus days
of twenty thousand plus steps a day.

Speaker 10 (01:03:32):
It adds up. It's different. You know, I'd rather play bolleyball.
That's easier.

Speaker 1 (01:03:35):
Yeah, that's easier, real fast too. Month. Say, while we're
giving everybody flowers the day and stay, I want to
give you your flowers too. You you have honestly become
like the auntie, the cist, the mama bear of the studio.
I've never seen nobody get cards prepared for people, bring
food for people. And I mean this when I say this,
watching you support everything here. Since i've known you over

(01:03:56):
the nine years we started doing shows together over a
couple in the old studio, I've always seen you be
very supportive and I've always seen you like give that
natural love to your colleagues, and that's something to be
spoken for, and that's something to give you. Your flowers
the day too, I didn't see I see you'd have
brought in many cakes, cupcakes, burritos, like you know, you
really support people here. I think you need to straight

(01:04:19):
up you.

Speaker 11 (01:04:21):
You've said that to me before, and I appreciate that
you've said it to me one on one, and I
appreciate that.

Speaker 10 (01:04:26):
You know, that's really sweet. Thank you.

Speaker 11 (01:04:28):
I just I get angry easily, so I don't want people.

Speaker 10 (01:04:34):
It's like you guys think it's for you. It's for me.
I feed you so that you're in a good mood.
Thus we're all in a gad.

Speaker 3 (01:04:40):
You knows how to celebrate on Saturday nights.

Speaker 10 (01:04:42):
You know that, yes, yes, you know. So it's it's
because well, thank you. Right back at you. We're a
good team here, guys, But let's check in on some scores.

Speaker 11 (01:04:51):
Most of these games are at half, are literally headed
into halftime Packers and Browns. Who would have thought green
Bay was up three zero at the half? This game
has been pretty even. Total yards for green Bay ninety yards,
total yards for Cleveland one hundred and six. Joe Flacco
is eleven of sixteen for eighty seven yards, one interception.
Jordan Love is ten of thirteen for sixty five yards

(01:05:13):
against three zero at that f in Cleveland.

Speaker 10 (01:05:15):
Oh. I believe in the Colts.

Speaker 11 (01:05:17):
I mean, call me crazy, but I've been believing in
them and they're on top of the times right now.
Twenty to six. Kenny Moore with the pick six on
cam Ward. He is nine of eighteen one hundred and
four yards and that interception. Daniel Jones is ten of
sixteen one hundred and forty one yards. Jonathan Taylor with
a rushing touchdown, and as you guys talked about all
vikings against the Bengals, Jake.

Speaker 10 (01:05:36):
Brownie and last week came in to save the day.

Speaker 11 (01:05:39):
Joe Burrow was injured through three interceptions and the Bengals
still won. He's already thrown more interceptions in this one,
Vikings of twenty four to three. Still ninety seconds to go,
so we'll see if the Vikings score again. The Steelers
are on top of the Patriots fourteen to seven.

Speaker 10 (01:05:55):
Drake May took a hard ay hit.

Speaker 11 (01:05:57):
I'm wondering if we're gonna hear something about that during
this time to go.

Speaker 10 (01:06:01):
Hard Hit went back into the game through.

Speaker 11 (01:06:03):
An interception, but he is thirteen of twenty one, one
hundred and three yards and a touchdown. But again, Steelers
are out fourteen to seven. The Rams are on top
of the Eagles at the half nineteen to seven. Jalen
Hurts four of eight seventeen yards. He's got five carries
twenty one yards and a touchdown. Saquon Barkley seven carries
thirteen yards. Not good for my fantasy team when it

(01:06:24):
comes to the Buccaneers are on top of the Jets
thirteen to six. They still got thirty seconds to go
in the first half. Commanders over the Raiders right now,
twenty to ten. Gino Smith did tie the game for
the Raiders with a touchdown pass, but Jeremy McNichols had
a sixty yard rushing touchdown to give the lead back
to Washington. The Panthers over the Falcons ten zero, and
the Jaguars are up on the Texans seven to three.

(01:06:47):
College Football News ESPN reports the Syracuse quarterback Steve Angelly
will be out for the remainder of the year, and
MRI has revealed that he tore his achilles in Syracuse
win at Clemson. He is expected to have two more
years of eligibility because he expects to qualify for a
medical red shirt this season. A Cup fin Now a
couple of baseball scores, because there's some things.

Speaker 10 (01:07:09):
On the line here. The Mets have a one game
lead over the Reds for the final walcarts one in
the National League.

Speaker 11 (01:07:16):
Nationals are right now beating the Mets three to one
in New York after three innings.

Speaker 10 (01:07:20):
Reds are playing against the Cubs. They're on a rain delay,
so they haven't started yet. Also, the Tigers, who.

Speaker 11 (01:07:25):
Have lost five in a row eight of their last nine,
holding on to their lead. They're losing to the Brains
right now at home, three zero, bottom of the fifth inning.

Speaker 10 (01:07:34):
Back to you nights, all.

Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
Right, Monti and again the Dodgers most likely will face
either the Mets or the Reds.

Speaker 3 (01:07:41):
Or whoever ends up as that.

Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
Final wild card team.

Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
Dodgers will not catch the Phillies or the Brewers, so
they will be the three seed. The Cubs are a
lot for the four seed. Podres likely the five seed,
and then we'll determine who that last seed will be.
We are week and then we get into let's go
and everything else and stuff. Thank you, min sir, once
again in Zone Radio. We're here in the Fox Sports

(01:08:25):
we get off the air. All right, as we get
to halftime right now. By the way, I just saw
a pick six for the Buccaneers against the Jets. It
has not been a good day for Justin Fields. He
is struggling. That's right, Tyro to Rod, don't call me

(01:08:46):
Tyrod Taylor House.

Speaker 1 (01:08:48):
What's up? Baby?

Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
Vikings thirty one Bengals.

Speaker 13 (01:08:53):
Three, Steve I promise. I'm not repeating myself, but Isaiah
Rodgers forced to fumble.

Speaker 2 (01:08:57):
No, he didn't area picks since he as a force fumble,
fumber return for a touchdown, then forced another chase.

Speaker 1 (01:09:05):
He is on fire right now. Defensive Player of the Year.

Speaker 13 (01:09:07):
Which, like, do you think Howie Roseman is kicking himself
for not resigning as a Rodgers when.

Speaker 1 (01:09:11):
He well, you know you can only sign so many guys.

Speaker 2 (01:09:15):
You got that cap It's believe me, people, I've said
this before. Capologists are real in the NFL. Because you
got to figure out this jigsaw puzzle. Because you have
X amount of dollars, it is a number. All teams
have the same number. How we're going to juggle these
contracts to make all the pieces fit.

Speaker 3 (01:09:34):
Some guys have to go uh.

Speaker 2 (01:09:36):
Coming up later on, we have an interesting game as
the Chargers looking to go three and ozho for the
first time since two thousand and two. Two thousand and two,
the last time the Chargers started the season three and
oh against the Broncos team that's one and one and
not looking great. And you know me, I was out
on the limb on the Broncos going in. I have

(01:09:57):
him in the NFC AFC Championship also have well, i
am winning the West, I'm in THEFC Championship game against
the Bills losing all right. So but here's what's interesting
about this dynamic Chargers home opener. This game will be
seventy percent Bronco fans. This is how it is. Ye
every single one of these games that they play within

(01:10:18):
the division, whether it's the Chiefs, it doesn't matter the Raiders,
it becomes a home game for the other team. The
Bronco players are laughing because they remember a year ago.
You literally got the entire stadium, let's go Broncos, and
it's loud.

Speaker 3 (01:10:33):
But you're in the imposing field. So this is what
the Chargers are up against.

Speaker 2 (01:10:37):
People don't get this because if you're in an NFL city,
the NFL rules, it is not that case. The Chargers
should never have left San Diego, should never have left
San Diego. But they're in LA and by the way,
this is their ninth season in LA. The city itself
a large I'm not talking to you die hard Chargers fans.
I know you love the Chargers and God bless you.

(01:11:00):
My son is one of those. He's a die hard
Charger fan. But the city as a whole. Really, they're
not in the conversation. They're focused on the Dodgers right now.
What are the Lakers going to be doing? So this
is an interesting dynamic that the Chargers are up against
as they take the field against the Broncos. But a
lot of people VJ this week really trumpeting the Chargers

(01:11:23):
after their two and zero start. Are you jumping on
that badwagon? Herbert obviously has had a great start to
the season. I know you like the Chargers going in,
but are you still I mean, do we elevate them
into the conversation as a true Super Bowl contender?

Speaker 1 (01:11:42):
Yeah? Absolutely, because defense wins championships, and I believe this
is going to be the best defense in football this year.
Last year, in twenty twenty four, they were the number
one scoring defense. Yes they were football that seventeen is
some change. You can't score against them.

Speaker 2 (01:11:55):
No, Khalil Mack for at least four weeks dislocated elephant.

Speaker 1 (01:11:58):
He's been banged up over the last two years. That's
nothing new. Khalil Macki's miss time, I know, but he's
still missed time last year. He missed time last year
and the and the year before and also to just
to kind of debunk this thing covering the Chargers last year.
I every home game I was at it's starting to
turn because we would talk about it in the press box.
We had a conversation with Jim Hill about this, about
how it's starting to turn. Now. At the beginning of

(01:12:19):
the year, it was crazy to walk in there and
see all this Origin blue or see all these Raiders,
the Raiders and just any team that was coming in
to play them. Even the Ravens game, there was a
lot of purple walking in the parking lot. I'm coming
in the stadium, like, Wow, there's a lot of a
lot of Raider fans in Inglewood, Like what's going on.
But it's starting to change, and it started to change

(01:12:40):
a lot last year. Hardball's culture and if you win,
that's that's that's gonna be the happy pill for everybody.
If they continue to win, all the closet fans, all
the people that don't go to the game are gonna
start coming to the game. You're gonna start to see
the visitors and the home fans start to teeter towards
the Chargers' way, which I saw towards the end of

(01:13:02):
last year. Uh, this is their first home game in
so far today, so down to today this afternoon. I'll
see what the fielders. But I think it's gonna teeter
a little more towards Charger fans. I think that's the
feel that you're getting because people starting to believe in
LA that this team is legit. And Herbert's my MVP,
Like I put them on the sheets. I think he's
gonna win the MVP. Speaking of believing in LA, the

(01:13:24):
Rams just scored a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
The Rams are just absolutely blowing out the Eagles.

Speaker 13 (01:13:29):
I mean, Scott Jalen Hurts got sacks fumbled. There's something
going on with them all day. Because if again this
is not a repeat the Vikings force the fumble and recovered.

Speaker 1 (01:13:38):
It is this what does this turnover over the place today?

Speaker 2 (01:13:43):
By the way, the Eagles right now, I have thirty
yards of offense in this game. This is I mean,
the Rams are absolutely dismantling the Philadelphia Eagles are defending
Super Bowl champions on their home field. They are getting
absolutely crushed by the revenge game. Steed like, yeah, but

(01:14:05):
I think the last year, I think I think if
you're Sean McVay getting ready for this game. You say, look,
I say, Kwan, let's take him out of the question.
If they had one of those games we played this team,
even in a playoff game that they then went on
to blow out the Commanders, blow out the Chiefs. We
know we can beat this team, and you can see

(01:14:25):
the confidence again.

Speaker 1 (01:14:26):
That's that's what we call twenty six to seven in
Philly today. Bos that three and a half, man, you're good?

Speaker 13 (01:14:34):
Yeah, now, no, yeah, that if they could just catch
that now for me, that'd be great, But I really
want I took the under forty five and a half
and I'm gonna start sweating that.

Speaker 1 (01:14:45):
Oh no, yeah, you're gonna lose that all right?

Speaker 2 (01:14:46):
Well, all right, the balls bouncing all over the place today,
we have it all covered for you coming up on
the next hour. Of course, it is you know what, Yeah,
come out coming out all the games. We've got second
halfs underway around the NFL nine game we've got to
cover for you.

Speaker 3 (01:15:01):
This is end Zone Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:15:02):
That flipball caught Noah Fan is fifth catch. He he
topped the ball. Isaiah Rogers picked it up. Now way.

Speaker 2 (01:15:13):
Two defensive touchdowns two that's k Fan one hundred point
three FM Vikings Radio network. If you're a Bengals fan,
don't ask thirty four to three Vikings at half time.
Thirty four to three Vikings at half times.

Speaker 1 (01:15:33):
So he's got that funds passing or something like four touchounds?
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (01:15:36):
No, Wentz has one hundred and five yards, no offense.
It's a it's a one man show, but it's not
on the offensive side defensive for the unbelievable annihilation today,
Vikings over the Bengals. Once again, this is end Zone Radio.
We're in the Fox Sports radio studios. They show sponsored
by DraftKings Sportsbook, an official sports betting partner of the NFL.

(01:15:59):
Right now, use the promo code Fox Game. That's Fox
Game to claim your special offer at DraftKings. Draft Kings.
The crown is yours. Don't forget that promo code Fox Game.
All right, BJ, what is your Draft Kings pick?

Speaker 1 (01:16:12):
I got juicy one today.

Speaker 11 (01:16:13):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:16:13):
We haven't said a word about the Cowboys and Bears game.
We haven't said a word about that game. So got
meny thinking about what can win this game for the Bears,
and it would be probably the quarterback in Caleb Williams.
His passing yards and I'll throw this one to you, guys,
and I had two things written down here. Would you
rather take a plus two point fifty for him passing
at a plus one thirty or Dak with two hundred

(01:16:36):
and seventy plus yards at a plus one exactly right
at a plus one oh two. Those the two are
wrote down. I think I'm gonna go with Dak. I
think I have a safer bet with Dak. I think
DA's gonna go for three hundred yards plus today. But
if you wanted to even up that and you wanted
to go with three hundred plus for Dak, that's a
plus two to oh two. So make yourself a little

(01:16:57):
money right there. So let's let's go there. I'll take
I'll take a leap. I'm gonna go Dak Prescott with
three hundred plus passing yards today against the Bears on
the road. I'll bee it up up in Chicago this afternoon.
But that's not a plus two to zero two. I
think that has a better chance of cash and than
plus seventy for Caleb Williams and passing yards.

Speaker 3 (01:17:16):
I like that one.

Speaker 2 (01:17:17):
By the way, last night I was at my TV
gig and one of my producers he likes to always,
you know, ask me questions about certain games. He likes
to place a few wagers, hopefully through DraftKings. Yeah, of course,
and he says, I tell you game I really like.

Speaker 3 (01:17:33):
I go, what's that?

Speaker 2 (01:17:34):
He goes, I like the Titans at home against the Colts,
Like it's going to be a wake up call for
the Colts. They're not as good as advertised. And I
said this to him. I said, look, I think cam
Ward has got talent. I think he will he'll be fine,
But this is his third game, and now teams get
a little tape on the guy, and there's gonna be
a little bump in the road. There's gonna be a

(01:17:55):
point where he's going to get exposed for what he is,
which is a rookie quarterback. Said I wouldn't touch that game,
especially if you're leaning to the Titans. Well, that producer
of mine is going to be eating it because it
is twenty seven to six Colts. They are annihilating the
Titans and cam Ward I threw a really bad peck
pick six early in this game, nine of eighteen hundred

(01:18:15):
and four yards, no touchdowns and the pick. Titans have
zero offense, not getting a lot of work. I mean,
Tony Pollard's still out there. They just don't have any
talent and so you know, but this is those are
the things that these young quarterbacks go through. And today
is cam Ward's day, where again teams get a little
tape on you, they start seeing some tendencies. These are

(01:18:36):
really smart people, not just you know, coaching wise, but
on the field as well. They can recognize things and
you start tipping things off, you'll get exposed. And that's
what's happened to cam Warden the Titans today.

Speaker 1 (01:18:48):
Well not only just him being a rookie. They just
don't have a good football team now. As the Gentlemen
Boys ago and less it happens, We're not sitting here
just trying to bang on the Titans. Every year in
the NFL there is one really bad football team. And
it's not because they can't block, it's not because they
can't tackle, it's not because they don't have the heart
or they don't have the passion. No, they just don't

(01:19:09):
have enough good players in the NFL more than any
other sport, which makes the NFL the King of Kings
like they were Triple lh in his heyday, right and
doing an Attitude era. It's the simple fact that the
better guys the bigger, faster, stronger, more locked in study
the film, their fundamentals are damn there, flawless every single

(01:19:29):
time they move. There are players like that in the league, guys,
and if you have a lot of those guys and
you don't have a lot of the other stuff, you're
gonna win a whole lot more games. But always it
starts with the head coach, whoever's running the offense, and
then the quarterback, and once you get those things in place,
you'll be good to go. We don't know how good
this head coach is gonna be for the Titians, and
we don't know how good cam Ward is gonna be,
but they just don't have enough good players to be effective.

(01:19:54):
They're the team. They're the guy in the fantasy league,
and everybody knows this fantasy league has this. They're the
team that people forget about. They forget about their team,
and you look forward to playing them because you see,
they got four guys on IR that are still in
the starting roster, so you can tell they haven't checked
their team. That's who the Titans are. You're looking forward
to playing them. To get that due.

Speaker 2 (01:20:11):
If you haven't already learned this, you cannot base one
week on what's gonna happen the next week.

Speaker 1 (01:20:17):
In the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:20:18):
Ever, Ever, Ever, last week there were eight over unders
that not only covered the over, but blew away the over. Yeah,
this week, we're not getting any points. I mean, the
Vikings are doing it with their defense. Nobody else is
really scoring right now, and the Falcons have zero points
with nine minutes to go in the third quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:20:39):
Much more coming up on end Zone Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:20:41):
Oh, rolling along?

Speaker 2 (01:20:42):
Hey, big day around the National Football League end Zone
Radio or in the Fox Sports Radio studios.

Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
Hey, it's that time.

Speaker 1 (01:20:51):
Do you know what time it is? No Huddle Hour?

Speaker 2 (01:20:56):
Yeah, we call it the No Huddle Hour because now
we're gonna be coming down the stretch on these nine
morning games around the NFL, and things are going to
get very interesting.

Speaker 1 (01:21:05):
By the way.

Speaker 2 (01:21:05):
One team I'm not going to count out are the
Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. They are struggling today. The
Rams defense has been outstanding. Jalen Hurts has had an
uneven day. But here's the thing about Jalen Hurts. They've
been showing him on the sideline. VJ during these timeouts,
and he's in the face of all of his teammates

(01:21:25):
reminding him again, we're champions. We're champions. We're on our
home field. We can get back into this game. And
they're slowly, it's painful, but they're slowly beginning to move
the ball.

Speaker 3 (01:21:38):
They did get a touchdown son.

Speaker 2 (01:21:39):
They're down twenty six fourteen, still seven minutes to go
in the third quarter. But you know, this is the
heart of a champion. The Eagles are champions and they're
not about to give this up. And this gets back
to why we like to put Jalen Hurts in the
conversation with the highest level of quarterbacks in the NFL,
the resume says that it's the leadership call. He's what

(01:22:02):
we call the X factor, the X factor. Jalen Hurts
has it in abundance. He has the X factor. He
is a leader. He inspires others to follow. That is
the definition of a leader. That's who Jalen Hurts is
right now. The Eagles are in the move as they
have gotten into rams territory.

Speaker 1 (01:22:21):
Well also too, they're not just champions. He's the leader.
They got other leaders on this team too. Sakwan Barkley
is a leader. They got young defensive studs on this team.
That's a leader. Nick Sirianni, if I mentioned many times before,
I get why some people don't like him. I just
don't dislike him as much as everybody. Excuse me to
get why some people dislike him. I don't dislike him
as much as.

Speaker 3 (01:22:41):
For a second.

Speaker 2 (01:22:42):
Yeah, Sirianni was an assistant coach with the Chargers when
I moved back to San Diego in twenty. I mean,
he's like, he's weird, he's quirky, I like, very quick,
like is he that? I'm like, Yeah, Jim Harbo's quirky.

Speaker 1 (01:22:55):
He slept in in a sleeping bag. Want to recruit
on a punter, not even none of not a running
back up hunter. The man slept on the floor of
a bedrooman to sleeping back to recruit up punter. And
people thought, but he's quirky man, and this is just
the way some people work. Everybody. There's no such thing
is normal. I hate that word. There's no such thing
as normal. We're all a little quirky in our own way.

(01:23:16):
But Sirianni hurts Saquon they're at home. It's a twelve
point game with six of some change left in the
third quarter, they go down to score right here, it's
twenty six to twenty one. Game on it's game on now,
it's only a twelve point game. But this is where
you find we're champions and where and we're professionals, and
and just that tough looks.

Speaker 2 (01:23:36):
All of a sudden, this Eagles offensive line that struggled
to do anything in the first half, all of a sudden,
they're blowing holes open for Saquon Barkley and the Eagles
are big time on the move. As we mentioned, Rams
lead at twenty six to fourteen, but the Eagles on
the move now down to the Rams twenty yard line.
They got a first down right now, So obviously we'll

(01:23:57):
keep our eye on that game. A couple of games
right now, we are talking about the Raiders and Geno
Smith and the Commanders just scored twenty seven to ten.
Commanders taking control of this game against the Raiders and
Gino Smith in that first game threw for a lot
of yards. That was talk about, Hey, you know, with

(01:24:17):
Chip Kelly coming in, they're going to be throwing the
ball down the field.

Speaker 1 (01:24:21):
It looks real good.

Speaker 2 (01:24:22):
Well, it didn't look good last week and it looks
worse today. Gino's only got one hundred yards through the air,
and by the way of those quarterbacks that have enough
passing attempts to qualify, through the first two weeks, he
had the lowest passer rating in the entire National Football League.

Speaker 1 (01:24:41):
And when you said that to me during the commercial break,
I think it was the last hour. I might have
went my head around it, you saying, wow, has it?
And then we start to ask each other like did
Gino do we get fooled by? And I'm not sure
if it was a resurgence in Seattle because it was
a starting position kind of like what Daniel Jones has
right now with the coach, right, he had an opportunity

(01:25:03):
to start for a good coach, got a lot of
good pieces around. But they didn't. They didn't. They didn't,
you know, go win any playoff games. People, They didn't.
They didn't win the divisions.

Speaker 3 (01:25:11):
And I know you're we're on radio here. I want
you to look.

Speaker 2 (01:25:14):
This is it thirty four out of thirty four right
right below JJ McCarthy, Cam wore Ja dead last.

Speaker 1 (01:25:20):
Yeah, and the guys too, and the good think about it.
The guys the two guys in front of him. What
are those guys rookies? I mean J McCarthy is essentially
well a rookie this year he didn't.

Speaker 2 (01:25:28):
One touchdown, four picks. Yeah, going into this game for
Gino Smith, and we thought.

Speaker 1 (01:25:33):
That when they signed Geno Smith, you know, Okay, they
got a veteran and he's accurate, and he's got some weapons.
You got Brock Bowers, my opinion, the best tight end
in football. I thought that maybe the best draft pick
that fit the team perfectly was Ashton Gentz from Boise State,
and they grab him at the fifth overall pick, and
it's like, Okay, they're building some things. And then you
get Pete Carrollly. You know, he's gonna make the defense better.
They're gonna tackle better, they're gonna be more fundamentally sound.

(01:25:56):
But it's starting to always show even if you have
all those things going. As I'm watching Gino run for
his life as he takes another sack here, this was
the believable is all over him. But he looks what's
the word we love to use for quarterbacks, uncomfortable? Thank you?
There it is. You can tell we've been partners for
a while. He looks very uncomfortable today. Even when his
back foot hits and he sees it, he doesn't trust

(01:26:19):
what he sees and he doesn't trust what he feels
around him in a pressure is a replay we're watching
right here, live bull right there. You see that.

Speaker 3 (01:26:26):
You can see that when you hit that little hitch
right and you're not you don't not it, you don't
trusts it.

Speaker 1 (01:26:31):
And then all of a.

Speaker 2 (01:26:32):
Sudden that that this is the thing again about quarterbacking
two things. And Gino Smith for the most part, certainly
upon his return with Seattle, been a very acre passer.
What's quick decision making and if you hesitate even a
blink of an eye, it's the difference between a game
or a sack. And right now the Raiders really struggling

(01:26:53):
offensively in this game down twenty seven ten to the Commanders.

Speaker 1 (01:26:56):
And Monday night, when you watch that game, it was
almost like he was trying to throw. As you see
him make some of these throws in it's Gino, what
do you look like? What do you I'm saying?

Speaker 3 (01:27:05):
I just thought they were just trying to force it downfield.

Speaker 2 (01:27:08):
They were they were just you know, he was like
they were like under they keep it downfield, all right?
Other quarterbacks struggling today, Well, let's talk about the Atlanta Falcons.

Speaker 1 (01:27:19):
Zero points.

Speaker 2 (01:27:20):
Michael pennis Or is doing zero today as they are
trailing the Panthers twenty to nothing, twenty to nothing, the
windless Panthers. When the last time the Panthers are up
twenty of the A. J. Brown has just scored. Here
we go, and here come the Eagles. Came on, Here
come the Eagles right now. What we're just talking about.

(01:27:43):
By the way, this drive I believe started inside their
own ten yard line and the Eagles suddenly went right
down the field.

Speaker 1 (01:27:49):
AJ Brown, what was That's a big boy move right there.
That's a big boy That's that's a big boy receiver move.
I don't want to hear two guys with their hands
on each other. Who all right, somebody's got to break
away and get all But that's just I'm bigger than you.
Put it back shoulder. Jalen Hurst throws a perfect back
shoulder pass. Bigger receiver, smaller defender, get rid of a
smaller defender. Turn catch the ball. We're sitting now. That's good.

(01:28:12):
No flags twenty one, twenty six. Here we go, all right,
we'll see where the Eagles go from here. But with
two bucks two minutes to go in the third quarter,
very much back in this game. One game that we
didn't talk about or haven't talked about since halftime, and
for good reason, because there's been zero storing in the
third quarter. That is the Steelers on the road against
the New England Patriots. It is still fourteen to seven,

(01:28:36):
and Aaron Rodgers, after a hot start, not so much anymore.
Eleven of sixteen eighty nine yards, one touchdown, one pick.
Drake May numbers are slightly better. The difference in this
one really has been the Pittsburgh defense has been able
to put Drake May on the turf a few times.

(01:28:56):
Aaron Rodgers has yet to be sacked in this game.
But this is if you look, I predicted the Steelers
are going to sneak into the playoffs. Yeah you do.
You haven't been a playoffs.

Speaker 2 (01:29:06):
However, I'll say this, this is a game I circle
as a win.

Speaker 3 (01:29:10):
You know, it's New England.

Speaker 2 (01:29:12):
You know, I still believe that we talked about the
Titans earlier. There's four or five teams that clearly have
deficiencies in their overall personnel and the New England Patriots
are on that list. Yeah, this is a game that
they have to win. The Pittsburgh Steelers right now leading
fourteen to seven. The third quarter just ended. But they

(01:29:33):
have to win this game. They got to get this one.
They got to get There's another team that's got to
get a dub too. I haven't said much about this.
Texans at Jaguars game ten to three right now in
the third quarter and three forty five left. Jacksonville does
have the ball right now. First attend they're on forty six.
But we were talking about doing break ia.

Speaker 1 (01:29:51):
Sam and I got on the speaker going back and forth,
and I'm not trying to knock CJ. Straw, but I'm
just trying to figure out how long do we how
long is his his leash before we look at Okay, dude,
you're you're you're good if everything around you fits, But
when you're missing a piece or two, no one believes
in Jacksonville. I heard everybody picks nobody believes it. Three points.

(01:30:13):
I'm I'm telling you, I'm just a guy quarterbacks that
can't put points on the board. I just have to
I have to kind of shrug my shoulders and put
my palms up to this guy. Okay, what are we
doing here? You can't score? You have to you have
to score three points. And we talked about Nico Collins,
and I know, we know tay Dell's out, but I
I just there's so many some of these quarterbacks that
we we're wanting to really put up there in love.

(01:30:35):
We got five guys already out, and you got quarterbacks
that are not producing. You know, you got you gotta
question that. You gotta got to raise the eyebrows a
little bit time.

Speaker 2 (01:30:44):
Remember r G three's rookie year, how good he was
beating out a lookout for offensive Rookie Year, led the
then Redskins all the way into the post, and then
Mike Shanahan, his coach, kept him out on the field
when he was clearly hurt.

Speaker 1 (01:30:57):
I mean the turf was terrible too, man, Well it.

Speaker 2 (01:30:59):
Did, but he ends up being a one year wonder.
Vince Young Offensive Rookie of the Year turned out to
be pretty much. He was great, one of the greatest
college cases. But again he was Offensive Rookie of the Year.
He looked like maybe this his game was going to
translate to the NFL. So before you annoyed a C. J.

(01:31:20):
Stroud or Jaden Daniels or any of these quarterbacks that
come and burst onto the scene. Give it a few years,
Give it a few years before you finally say a week.

Speaker 1 (01:31:30):
Would you say doing the break week? The week was, Steve.

Speaker 3 (01:31:35):
Nothing that happens one week has any bearing on.

Speaker 1 (01:31:37):
The next week. We know it all, all of us, honestly.
Late tonight we'll go to sleep thinking, Okay, I got.

Speaker 3 (01:31:43):
The NFL figured out for I'm glad you haven't figured out.

Speaker 1 (01:32:06):
I want to go right now. The Eagles on a
live spread right now are plus two and a half
one of minus one point fifteen. I know both sitting
on his three are believe three and a half notts
over three to three and a half right now, that's
actually down to twent and a half for the Rams.
But this Eagles comeback looks legit to me. This might
end up being the game of the day. But right now,
if you want to just put the Eagles on the

(01:32:26):
money line, you can throw one thirty plus one thirty.
But it's plus two and a half for the Eagles
right now to cover this. They're down twenty six to
twenty one at home going towards the end of the
third quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:32:35):
All right, Dan, as we were talking about that Steeler
matchup against the Patriots, the Patriots have just scored on
a touchdown pass by Drake may to I believe it
was Hunter Henry. Yes, both of his touchdown passes to
Hunter Henry. So start of the fourth quarter, that game
is tied at fourteen. All this is the no Huddle Hour.

(01:32:57):
We're racing to the finish line. This is ends radio
No huddle hour.

Speaker 8 (01:33:01):
Fourth down in one, try to pick up a first down,
Yere from outside the Steeler fifteen.

Speaker 1 (01:33:07):
Me throws down.

Speaker 8 (01:33:08):
He made the crab tack Peddlin pay times in for
a second cutdown.

Speaker 5 (01:33:16):
The Patriots in.

Speaker 1 (01:33:17):
Put a minute to tie it up.

Speaker 2 (01:33:19):
That's ninety eighty five the Sports Hub and the Patriots
radio network. And as we said before the break, yes,
it is all tied up twelve thirty nine to go.
In the fourth quarter, Steelers and Patriots tied at fourteen.
By the way, it was Patriots Hall of Fame Day.
Today they have a team Hall of Fame Julian Edelman
and doctor along with Bill Parcels.

Speaker 1 (01:33:39):
I love this.

Speaker 2 (01:33:40):
Parcels actually had been one of the nominees for several years,
but Patriot fans were still upset about the way he
left the organization.

Speaker 3 (01:33:49):
So Bob Kraft decided, the heck with it. As long as.

Speaker 2 (01:33:53):
I'm alive and he's alive, I want to see this
day happen. So Bob Kraft stepped up and said, you
are in the Patriots Hall. By the way, when Bill
Parcells took over the Patriots state, it hit absolute rock bottom.
And by that last year he had in the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (01:34:07):
Right, not only that, if you don't get Bill Belichick
without Bell Parceals, because some of you younger football fans
don't know that Bill Belichick had been winning Super Bowls
before he was the head coach of the Patriots. He
was the secondary coach for the New York Giants when
the Giants were winning Super Bowls. Coach by who oh yeah,
that's right, mister Bill Parcells. Mister if they want you,

(01:34:30):
one of the greatest lines ever of questioning a front
office through the media is if they want you to
cook the meal, they should at least let you shot
for the grocery. That is one of the greatest lines
of throwing your front office under the bus in front
of the world by mister Bill Parcells. Great job by Craft.
It's long overdue, but absolutely he should be there. All right,

(01:34:52):
We're in the Fox Sports radio studios. So this is
where we are in our no Huddle hour, taking a
look at which games appear to be on the way
to exciting finishes.

Speaker 2 (01:35:01):
First of all, hour, we got some blowout games. Panthers
up twenty nothing on the Falcons and they have a
third and goal at Atlanta three yard line. That game's over.
Commander's up thirty four to ten over the Raiders, That
game's over. Buccaneers over the Jets twenty three to six,
game over forty one to three, Vikings over the Bengals.

(01:35:22):
Enough set Colt's blowing out the Titans thirty four to thirteen.
So those are the games that are already over.

Speaker 1 (01:35:28):
The game is over.

Speaker 2 (01:35:29):
A game that I think is over Packers Browns because
the Browns have no offense. So even though the scores
only ten nothing thanks to that Browns defense, Packers have
the ball ten minutes to go over. That game, I'm
going to say is over. So that leaves three games.
Jaguars leading the Texans ten to three. Just started the
fourth quarter, Texans with the ball and they are in

(01:35:52):
Jacksonville Territory looking to try to tie things up. Steelers
Patriots tied at fourteen. And yes, we're keeping an eye
on this Rams Eagles game. It looked like it was
going to be all Rams, but the Eagles come back.
And now we just saw CJ. Stroud throw an interception,
bad interaction, a bad one, and they were in Jacksonville

(01:36:13):
Territory and the Jaguars get the pick. So right now,
the Texans again if they lose zero to three, and
that is pretty much a death sentence as far as
getting into the postseason in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:36:28):
Bro, you are a big coordinator guy. You want of
the guys here that talk a lot about coordinators coming in,
coming out their schemes and things like that. What's going
on with the offensive side with the Texans, Like, how
are we honestly how are we here right now?

Speaker 13 (01:36:39):
I mean, isn't it at this point? Kind of just
like you have questions about CJ.

Speaker 1 (01:36:42):
Stroud, Yes, like mean you look at that, but do
they know what they're doing with him? I'm telling you listen,
I'm gonna keep hinging on this Tom Brady coot because
I thought it was really great when he told he goes, well,
the problem is, you guys are assuming that everybody knows
how to develop a quarterback?

Speaker 8 (01:36:59):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (01:37:00):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (01:37:00):
CJ? Are they not gonna be able to develop this? Show?

Speaker 13 (01:37:04):
Well, I think we kind of have to reframe how
we view quarterback development, at least in the NFL, because
there was that rush of like, well, it's all the
you know, the salary cap people. They are like, well,
if you have a good quarterback on a rookie deal,
that's how you win in this league. So is that
rush to get guys starting. But I think it's pretty
clear by now they starting early is probably detrimental to
these these guys.

Speaker 2 (01:37:25):
Overall, this is the greatest challenge for any scout, for
any general manager, for any coach when they are looking
at a prospect, which, by the way, another word for
prospect is suspect until they actually get it done. So
you're trying to sort of project the future. We know
where they are right now, but can you project what

(01:37:48):
their ceiling is, especially for quarterbacks. I go back to
Jalen Hurts. I remember going into that draft and I
was a big Jalen Hurts guy. Loved the way he
handled the situation at Alabama like ghost to Oklahoma, runner
up for the Heisman. Going in that draft, talking to
a lot of NFL personnel people, what is the ceiling
on Jalen Hurts. He's not Lamar Jackson. Okay, he's not

(01:38:10):
that kind of an athlete, but he's a good athlete.
But give me a ceiling on this guy. And it
told me Volumes when everyone had pretty much the same answer.
He's a hard read, he really is. There's a lot
of things he does well. He has command as a quarterback,
but does he have enough tools to take his game

(01:38:31):
to the next.

Speaker 1 (01:38:32):
Lef No one was quite sure.

Speaker 2 (01:38:34):
But what happens again is if you're in the right system,
if you're surrounded by the right people, that can sort
of If you remember with the Jalen Hurts development, it
was sort of piece by piece. You know, this goes
back to Tom Brady, tom Brale when they won those
first three Super Bowls.

Speaker 1 (01:38:49):
They won on defense. It wasn't tom Brady, he wasn't
you know.

Speaker 2 (01:38:54):
Right, he didn't throw the by the way, same thing
Hamil with Terry Bradshaw with his Steelers earlier. It's frank
O Harris's wheel, Curtin and then all of a sudden
he got that passing game going.

Speaker 1 (01:39:04):
How long did Aaron Rodgers sit behind Brett Favre three years?
Four years? Season? That might just be what we need
to do.

Speaker 13 (01:39:10):
JJ McCarthy like did not look like he'd ever played
football before outside of one quarter this year.

Speaker 1 (01:39:16):
You know what, can I say that that line is
beat up though the day. Okay, it missed a lot
of weapons. Guy, obviously he struggled in this last game.
But let's also keep in mind this he walked him
into the world his newborn baby during the week.

Speaker 3 (01:39:32):
I mean, it's tough enough for any.

Speaker 1 (01:39:33):
Of us to be a first time parent, but when
you're that young.

Speaker 2 (01:39:37):
Oh and by the way, you're coming off or everyone's
interviewing you by your big fourth quarter come back against
the Bears, and you're feeling pretty good about yourself and
you're in a fog.

Speaker 1 (01:39:47):
You're in a fog.

Speaker 2 (01:39:48):
It looked like I mean, he looked like he was
completely discombobulated. You could see the frustration on Kevin O'Connell's
He didn't.

Speaker 1 (01:39:55):
Play well bowl. You're right, he other than and you
know me, I'm the biggest JJ guy here. He has
not looked what I want him to look like. And
you know, out of honestly, yeah, one quarter but Monday
night that when you start to go down the list
of what's missing, then he loses a linement during the game.
You know, it looks I.

Speaker 13 (01:40:13):
Think if you look at it from the perspective of
the Vikings locker room, though, like I'm I wouldn't be
shocked at all. If JJ McCarthy is not as injured
as they want people to believe, and they wanted to
just put a veteran quarterback in there, that locker room
had to be furious.

Speaker 2 (01:40:26):
Well, again, you're coming off a fourteen and three year
with Sam Darnold as your quarterback. I mean, no one
could have predicted that. But we'll see what they do
with JJ McCarthy. But he's gonna be out for several weeks,
so we'll see what's up next? By the way, the
Patriots are moving the ball right now, tied up with
the Steelers at fourteen and nine minutes to go. So

(01:40:47):
this is a game we definitely have to watch, Mike Vrabel. Look,
you brought in a a coach that knows how to
get it done. Yeah, he's a veteran coach. They still
are deficient in a lot of Uh. They got a
fourth and one right now, and they're going for it.

Speaker 1 (01:41:03):
How about this? Why not?

Speaker 3 (01:41:05):
And they're gonna pass on fourth down and Drake may
Is gonna have to scramble.

Speaker 2 (01:41:08):
And get the first down. So there, that's a nice call,
nice little roll out there. He's able to get the
first down. So Patriots on the move. Also right now,
the Cleveland Browns are trying to stay in this game
against the Packers. Their defense has been outstanding. I dare
say it's an exaggeration. Brown's gonna have top three, top
five defense.

Speaker 1 (01:41:29):
From the xaggeration at all. That's not exaggeration. All. You
and I both team Miles Garrett winning Defensive Player of
the year. He's the best defensive player I think the right. Yeah,
he is. He is the best defensive player, uh, in
the entire league. But once again, seven forty three, fourth
quarter at home, zero points. You're not gonna do any
worse by playing one of the rookie I'm gonna just

(01:41:50):
I'm I'm gonna stay now Uncle Flax comes back and
do something right here. Then oh, I'll got a.

Speaker 2 (01:41:55):
Fumble by Drake May trying to extend to play and
it's recovered by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 3 (01:42:02):
Again, inexperience a quarterback, get.

Speaker 1 (01:42:04):
Rid of the ball or just go down, get rid
of the ball and guess who guess who is that TJ?
That TJ that kind of swipes in there.

Speaker 2 (01:42:14):
They all came in them, but they just stripped him
and that was the end of that. But again, he
gotta get rid of the ball. What was he doing
lifting his arm like that?

Speaker 1 (01:42:23):
But see, you have to just protect the football man.
You can't have the ball just out and about. These
guys are too good. They trained. There's drills where they
punched the ball in practice all summer OTA's Mini Camp,
training camp. So when you get to a game, it's
just a repetitive thing. And when you start the field
three and four opposite colored jerseys around, you just just

(01:42:43):
cover up the football. It's fourteen fourteen. You got a
chance to go to and one of me. Hell, it's
the Hall of Fame day there, like, don't tow it
away like this Drake. All right, The Rams just got
a sack on Jalen Hurts. It's fourth and six at midfield,
and the Eagles are going for that. I don't know
about no way, no, no, they're going to snap this ball.

(01:43:08):
You can't drop field. You're not going to try to
make the minutes to go watch they're snapping this ball.

Speaker 2 (01:43:13):
They're trying to get an off side. Let's see if
they actually snap the ball for a play five four
three two one. On the play, they are running a
play and the Rams are coming after him, and the
passes knocked down and the Rams will take over at midfield.

Speaker 11 (01:43:28):
What was that?

Speaker 1 (01:43:29):
That was terrible? If you're gonna run my thing is, Steve.
If you're gonna run this play right here, fine, but
don't wait until he gets all the way down till
one or two seconds to snap the ball, because now
you're in rush mode. And that corner they send a
corner blitz the Rams. Dude, they send the defensive back blitz.
No one picks him up off the left side, which
means Hurts has now drop his eyes, cover the ball,
and get out of the pocket. Minutes to go, You're

(01:43:52):
down five ms. Take over with a five point lead
at midfield, Golden opportunity for the Rams to increase lee.

Speaker 3 (01:44:00):
Let's find out.

Speaker 10 (01:44:01):
Ah wait?

Speaker 3 (01:44:02):
Did I mention that this show.

That's Fox Game to claim your special offer at DraftKings. DraftKings,

All right, VJ, what is your latest DraftKings pick.

Speaker 1 (01:44:23):
I'm looking at these passing yards and Rogers has eighty
nine passing yards right now that open the day it
was one hundred and fifty plus yards, So I'm trying
to figure out if I want to take the under.
The over run is does he have some type of
miraculous comeback where he throws for seventy eighty yards here
in the stretch of his game to get his team

(01:44:44):
to win. But I took the under on it because
I didn't think he would be able to throw four
bunch of yards. So I'm hoping I still cash in
and Rogers under one hundred and fifty passing yards right now,
if you still want to get in on that bad
boy right there, they won't even let you do an
alternate bet right now in draft it's a plus two sixty.
If he passes for more than one fifty yards, it's
a plus two sixty right now. Draft Kings won't even

(01:45:06):
give you nothing else to slide. The character bar crossed
to pick another number, So let's go with that. I'll
stick with the you Aaron Rodgers one hundred and fifty
thousand yards.

Speaker 2 (01:45:15):
All right now, Let's find out what is a trend
in as we welcome monthy back, Soadre fantasy.

Speaker 10 (01:45:22):
Where you have five teams you know they're ass right now? Okay,
all of them, you know of them except Jonathan Taylor.
Jonathan Taylor is keeping my team afloat.

Speaker 1 (01:45:31):
And speaking of which, I was trying to say this
during the break that you couldn't hear me, so we
saved it for right now. If your Colt's AFC South
pick comes in this year, that's the damn pick of
the station. As far as what we were predicting, no
one talked about the coach and when we did our
premium I remember the day You're like, just something about
the coat. I'm like, man, Monty don't know what the

(01:45:51):
hell keeps talking about? What like did you just have
you seen the Colt sad?

Speaker 2 (01:45:58):
And I just don't know remember when she made that pick,
also insisting Daniel Jones the NBC conversation.

Speaker 1 (01:46:05):
I think, Daniel, I just did you just guess this?
Did you get sleep last night?

Speaker 7 (01:46:09):
Mon?

Speaker 5 (01:46:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (01:46:10):
You just you know, sometimes you're right, sometimes you're on.

Speaker 11 (01:46:13):
I just thought that the Colts were going to have
a quarterback that could open up.

Speaker 10 (01:46:18):
The field for the first time. Read that, and that
could be healthy.

Speaker 11 (01:46:21):
The problem is that Anthony Richardson just hasn't been healthy
to stay on the field to see what he can
actually do.

Speaker 1 (01:46:27):
Well, here's the thing. Here's the thing.

Speaker 3 (01:46:30):
I mean, yes, but he hasn't had a chance, right, guys.

Speaker 2 (01:46:33):
One thing about the Colts, They've always had a really
good offensive line.

Speaker 10 (01:46:37):
That's the other part.

Speaker 3 (01:46:38):
You have that offensive line, and you got your base.

Speaker 2 (01:46:41):
You got outstanding running back Jonathan Taylor, so you you
got weapons if you're a quarterback.

Speaker 1 (01:46:47):
When you have a running game and you have an.

Speaker 10 (01:46:49):
Offensive line, and like Jonathan Taylor. His past blocking has got.

Speaker 11 (01:46:53):
Up this year incredibly because he probably sees, what, hey,
Daniel Jones can throw me the ball and sling it,
then I'm gonna have an easier time. As he's shown
Tyler Warren their tight end. Not only is he great
at pass block you for, Daniel Jones can also catch
the ball.

Speaker 1 (01:47:07):
He's a great one. So you know what I mean.

Speaker 10 (01:47:09):
It's like it was just a couple of things. Obviously
it had to click, and it seems to be clicking.
It's week three, but it seems to be clicking.

Speaker 1 (01:47:18):
It seemed there was so much more attention on CJ
and then the what gets Jags like if Trevor and
it kind of washed the way. But no, you're Paul.
You did your exact word you said. I just think
they have a quarterback that can actually ditch to Balton.
Don't gotta be great, just roll the damn balls the
open guy. Right, It's only week three, but I.

Speaker 10 (01:47:37):
Mean they keep it simple.

Speaker 1 (01:47:38):
Sirty thirty four game like literally.

Speaker 11 (01:47:41):
I know, I know, colds up thirty four to thirteen
against the Titans early in the fourth quarter. Most of
these games are in the fourth quarter. Actually, the only
game that's not in the fourth quarter is in the third,
but it's over Vikings and Bengals forty eight to three. Yes,
forty eight to three. Carson Wentz just threw his second
touchdown pass of the day to TJ. Hawkinson forty eight

(01:48:02):
to three. The rest of these games are in the
fourth quarter, a little early, a little late, like the
Packers in the Browns. Five minutes to go. Packers are
up ten zero, but Cleveland has the ball. They're knocking
on the door to score. We'll see how that one goes.
The Steelers and the Patriots are tied at fourteen, about
five minutes to go. Still early in the fourth quarter,
but the Rams have a twenty six to twenty one

(01:48:23):
lead over the Eagles. They're driving their headed towards the
red zone. The Buccaneers trying to hold onto their lead,
even though the Jets just got in the end zone.
Garrett Wilson with his first touchdown pass catch of the
day from trod Tyrod Taylor. Twenty three to thirteen is
the score there. Tampa Bay up. The Commanders have extended
their lead over the Raiders thirty four to sixteen. This
is still also early in the fourth and The Jags

(01:48:44):
have a ten to three lead over the Texans. All
Panthers after their Week one disaster. Panthers looking for their
first win and right now they're crushing the Falcons. Twenty
seven zero is the score there. Crazy college football ap.

Speaker 10 (01:49:00):
All is out.

Speaker 11 (01:49:00):
The new one of the week fellas number two Miami
jumping LSU and Penn State so Ohio State State at one,
Penn State is three, LSU four, Georgia five, Oregon six.
Oklahoma climbed into the top ten for the first time
in two years, coming in at number seven, Florida State
coming in at number eight, Texas A and M nine,

(01:49:21):
and Texas rounds it out at number ten.

Speaker 10 (01:49:24):
By the way, Utah and Auburn.

Speaker 1 (01:49:26):
Are out after Utah.

Speaker 11 (01:49:30):
Yesterdays Tech, who moved up five spots.

Speaker 2 (01:49:33):
By the way, By the way, last night the USC
Michigan State game. Where's USC right now?

Speaker 10 (01:49:39):
USC was not in my top twenty five.

Speaker 1 (01:49:42):
They're out of the top twenty. They're twenty one. It
looks scary.

Speaker 2 (01:49:50):
This was unbelievable. Imagine this if you're a Michigan State fan.
That game kicked off at eleven o'clock m Michigan time,
and there was that injury really scared the game. So
that game did not end until midnight, three am Michigan time.
They're like, how did the Big ten sign up.

Speaker 1 (01:50:08):
For PAC twelve? After dark? Love it enough?

Speaker 11 (01:50:12):
Dark?

Speaker 1 (01:50:12):
I was watching, should have gone to bed, little little brother. Hey, listen, man,
when you little brother, you gotta that's what you gotta do.
You got you gotta take them meet. It's a little
competing with him and then the US. He just pulled away.

Speaker 3 (01:50:23):
US got, by the.

Speaker 2 (01:50:24):
Way, was nineteen and a half point favorites. They didn't
even cover in that nature.

Speaker 14 (01:50:29):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:50:30):
Where is Indiana?

Speaker 5 (01:50:30):
Now?

Speaker 10 (01:50:31):
That's why are you asking me all of these.

Speaker 3 (01:50:35):
Annoy Yesterday I wrote the.

Speaker 10 (01:50:37):
Ten Give me a second. We only want to know
Indiana Hoosiers Indiana.

Speaker 7 (01:50:41):
It should be eleven eleven, Yeah, number eleven. Indiana Hoosiers
are coming to Kinnick Stadium next Saturday.

Speaker 1 (01:50:47):
All right, that's gonna be Yeah, that's going to be
a good game. Hey, there was scared. They're good. They
broke Illinois. They just aid them all.

Speaker 1 (01:51:25):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:51:25):
By the way, Titans, they get a touchdown, still down
two scores with eight and a half minutes ago. But
at least cam warden company showing the little life right there.
As far as the Rams after that turnover on downs
have a fourth and two now at the Philadelphia eighteen
yard line, so at the very least they're in field
goal position. But still baffled by that Eagles decision to

(01:51:49):
go for a fourth and six and midfield and.

Speaker 1 (01:51:53):
Blocked the field goal there. So they blocked the field goal. Yeah,
so where are the Rams. They've given the ball back
to the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (01:52:04):
Okay, so the the Eagles get away with it with
the block field goal. Meanwhile, we've got the Texans in
the end zone. Finally, the Texans get the ball in
the end zone. They're an extra point away of tying
this game on the road against Jacksonville again, the Texans
trying to avoid an oh and three start. Only six
teams in the Super Bowl era have ever started the

(01:52:26):
season oh to three and made it into the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (01:52:29):
Who's covering Nico Collins on that play? Are you kidding
me off of the turnover? Listen? First of all, this's
back up and talking about the horrible, horrible interception that
Trevor Lawrence throw that gives them the ball back. He
stares it down and throws it into three white jersey.
But this play right here is inexcusable, breakdown, inexcusable. Got

(01:52:51):
that extra point is we haven't had one of those today.

Speaker 3 (01:52:54):
Alright, Ten to all, nine minutes to go in the
fourth courier. Hey, the Browns will not get shut out.

Speaker 1 (01:52:59):
And by the way, they're still in this game, of course, so.

Speaker 2 (01:53:02):
They get a field goal ten to three Packers, three
forty two to go. If somehow the Browns can get
the ball back on second tight, it's game's over.

Speaker 1 (01:53:11):
I don't see how they can score. Throw listen, man,
put Dylan in and let him run around on his
last drop and let him try to go win it.
Because Flackel's not going to be able to just drop
back and go win the game because he's got three
points today. Guys like, come on, all.

Speaker 2 (01:53:24):
Right, So Eagles takeover. Still trailing the Rams twenty six
to twenty one. They're at the deep in their own
territory at the seventeen yard line. There's that block field
goal by the Eagles defense. Huge block right there. Steelers, Patriots,
we're coming down the wire. This is one of the
games we're keeping an eye on. Steelers of the ball

(01:53:45):
tied at fourteen. They got a third and six at
the New England seventeen yard line. Remember they got the
ball back after that costly fumble by Drake May. And
the Steelers have just scored on a pass to Calvin
Austin right there.

Speaker 1 (01:53:59):
Yeah, Calvin Austin the third.

Speaker 2 (01:54:02):
So Calvin Ausin the third right here, and Aaron Rodgers
put a back shoulder perfect and the Steelers take the
lead right now, bending the extra point up twenty to fourteen.

Speaker 1 (01:54:13):
Steve, why are we still in an era where cornerbacks
do not turn and find the football?

Speaker 4 (01:54:21):
Like?

Speaker 1 (01:54:21):
How are a corner? How is this is how they're taught?
That's what I was about to go. How are how
is secondaries being coached nowadays? Nobody turns? You think you
see that in high school. You don't think on the
NFL level that when a guy puts his hands up
or his eyes get big, their little brown thing might
be coming. You might want to turn and find the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:54:44):
Well, the best do is the rest, don't twenty one
to fourteen. Now Steelers lead two sixteen to go in
the fourth quarner. We continue on with our covered chair
in this yeah, no huddle hour. This is end Zone Radio,
No hudd hour.

Speaker 5 (01:55:00):
First out at midfield, CJ strouds shotgun what he marks
at the backfield with.

Speaker 2 (01:55:05):
Him Stroud to throw, CJ looking, CJ firing down field
to his left, caught by College fifteen ten five rock
and roll chucksdown Houston fifty yards.

Speaker 3 (01:55:17):
That's Texans Radio network.

Speaker 2 (01:55:19):
Six minutes ago in Jacksonville, Texans and Jaguars are tied
at ten and the Texans have the ball once again.

Speaker 1 (01:55:29):
End Zone radio.

Speaker 2 (01:55:30):
Where in the Fox Sports Radio studios will a game
that I was a little on the bubble is this
game over?

Speaker 1 (01:55:37):
And I was leaning like that is wrong?

Speaker 2 (01:55:39):
As usual Packers Browns. Packers had the ball, had a
ten to three lead, and Jordan Love made a serious mistake.
It was a pick and the Browns got the pick,
went down the field and tied the game. So we
now have two forty seven to go in the fourth quarter,
Packers and Browns are tied at ten. Looks like Cleveland

(01:56:01):
just got called for a pass interference down the sideline,
so that game is ten ten. We got the Texans
Jaguars ten ten. And then there are the Eagles who
have gotten themselves all the way down the field to
the Rams thirteen yard line after the block field goal.
They have a second and eight right now, four minutes
to go, and the Eagles were down in this game

(01:56:25):
twenty six to seven. It is now twenty six twenty one,
and the Eagles find themselves in a position to knock
on the darm. By the way, if the Eagles do
come back to win this game right against a quality team,
which the Rams certainly are, this tells you everything you
need to know about the Philadelphia Eagles. And I said,

(01:56:45):
you know, before the season, everyone's like, well, no team's
won back to back NFC's titles in twenty years and
everything else I go, This Eagles team could easily be
looking for a possible third Super Bowl. I mean, if
it wasn't for Jalenhers dropping that ball, literally dropping the
ball that led to it an un you know Chiefs
touchdown in that Super Bowl, this team could be going

(01:57:06):
for a third Super Bowl. Now Saquan is picking up Stein.
They're inside the five yard line, first and goal for
the Eagles at the four yard line. They are for real,
and they held it together when things were really bad. Oh,
no matter how bad Jalen Hurts numbers were early, how
about nineteen or twenty nine, two and seventeen yards, two
touchdown snow picks. He's run for forty yards in the school.

Speaker 1 (01:57:28):
And this is why I say he's a top five
quarterback in this league. It doesn't matter what you're down.
All game long, we're watching it. Lock leadership, leaderships on
the sideline, lineman, offensive lineman, defensive linemen, secondary as going
up and down. Coaches to everybody, you need a guy

(01:57:49):
like that. It doesn't matter what the score is. You
got to keep playing. The football is oblong. It takes
funny boundaries. Not a basketball, our golf ball or baseball
is just gonnaounce down and bounce straight up. That thing
bounces funny ways, man, and if you're in the right
place at the right time, we are when you got
a leader like Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 2 (01:58:08):
However, on first and goal at the four yard line,
the handoff to Saquon Barkley loses four yards, so all
of a sudden you got a second and goal at
the eight.

Speaker 1 (01:58:18):
Remember this is not a this is a five point
GAJ Brown's been dominating them on this drive in to
drive you gotta go to aj Brown in the REDSONGI Jay,
it's so funny.

Speaker 13 (01:58:26):
You mentioned the ball being shaped oddly and oblong and
bouncing places because Nico Collins fumbled the ball and gave
it right back to the Are you.

Speaker 1 (01:58:32):
Serious, Oh my goodness, gracious after catching that wide open
bomb or touchdown, all.

Speaker 13 (01:58:39):
Three two teams on Monday are going to be talking
about ball security the important Either.

Speaker 1 (01:58:43):
That or somebody's going to put out some type of
report that there's something funny with the football.

Speaker 2 (01:58:47):
Ballall all right, Let's see if you can see the
frustration on Packers coach Matt Lafleur when Jordan Love threw
that interception and and Love the Browns to tie it.
Now the Packers driving down the field have it for
ten at the Cleveland twenty two yard line two minute
warning there, So I'm sure their strategy at this point
is run the clock down and let's get out of here.

Speaker 1 (01:59:09):
Again.

Speaker 3 (01:59:10):
In the NFL, there are no style points.

Speaker 2 (01:59:12):
I know people that are betting, uh certainly are thinking
about point spreads, but you're not. If a coach, you
just need a w You don't care how you get it.
What the doesn't matter. It's it's it's very very simple.
You win or you lose.

Speaker 1 (01:59:25):
Period. All right.

Speaker 3 (01:59:26):
So again.

Speaker 1 (01:59:28):
Exactly are well they dominated the statu sheet.

Speaker 3 (01:59:34):
Nobody kids.

Speaker 1 (01:59:36):
Win or loss.

Speaker 3 (01:59:37):
Yeah, just win, baby is my old boss used to
tell me.

Speaker 1 (01:59:40):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:59:41):
So the Eagles now with that second and goal, there's a.

Speaker 2 (01:59:43):
Time out two minute warning there, Eagles with the ball
down five, and it's gonna be interesting to see where
they go. Obviously it's four down territory at this point.
It's second down in goal at the eighth.

Speaker 1 (01:59:59):
That's tricky. I might run sa Quon here, maybe try
to get them on a perimeter or spread them all out.
A minute ago, they did kind of like an old
Joe John l remember the whole Kun John L WAYQB draw.
I think you maybe run that for Hurts. Hurts is
strong enough to get you five or six shards and
then decide what you want to do for there. We
do know it's four down territorycause they're down five Moneys.

Speaker 2 (02:00:17):
Also Jacksonville with the ball right now, deep in their
own territory. Three minutes to go in this ten to
ten game against the Texans, and Trevor Lawrence lowering the shoulder.
He's not slighting at all. He is looking for xdrs
to try to get the Jaguars back in this game.
Exciting finishes coming up, and we're all over at this
is End Zone Radio. Oh what a day it has been,

(02:00:39):
and we got some exciting finishes coming up. This is
end Zone Radio wearing the Fox Sports Radio studios and
the show is sponsored by DraftKings Sportsbooking, official sports betting
partner of the NFL. Right now, use the promo code
Fox Game. That's Fox Game to claim you're special offer
at DraftKings. DraftKings, the crown is yours. Don't forget that's

(02:01:00):
promo code Fox Game. All right, here's where we are
on exciting finishes. The Eagles scored and took the lead
twenty seven to twenty six over the Rams. Rams blowing
a twenty six to seven lead. Rams have the ball
right now and they're in Philadelphia territory at the forty
three yard line. Eagles went for a two point conversion,
did not get it, so twenty seven twenty six, Rams

(02:01:24):
trying to get into field goal position to pull this
game out after blowing a twenty six to seven lead. Meanwhile,
the Jaguars have taken the lead over the Texans seventeen
to ten. We're inside two minutes to go in that game,
and the Browns have the ball against the Packers ten
to ten with twenty seconds to go. Unless the Browns

(02:01:45):
come up with a big play, it could.

Speaker 1 (02:01:47):
Go and the Rams are on the move.

Speaker 3 (02:01:48):
Let's keep our eye in this.

Speaker 2 (02:01:49):
Game right now, as the Rams, who haven't done really
anything offensively since their opening drive of the second half,
are now well within field goal territory right now would
be a fifty two yard field goal. Clock is running
and the Rams have gotten a first down, so on
a third and one, the Rams get a first down
and the Rams have one time out remaining, So thirty

(02:02:13):
seven seconds left and the Rams trying to pull this
game out after what has been an unbelievable comeback by
the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (02:02:21):
Now back to this Cleveland Packers game, though, because the
Packers had a field goal to win, it gets blocked.
Cleveland blocks their field goal. That's Hipping gets the ball,
but then ceremoniously gets a false start on the first
place of the driver that they back them up. So
right now they're at the forty six shar line. Okay,
seventeen seconds and a chance to do something here and

(02:02:42):
pull this one outs.

Speaker 2 (02:02:43):
Sixteen seconds left, there's no timeouts for the Browns. They
threw the ball out of bounds right now, twelve seconds
to go.

Speaker 1 (02:02:50):
It's basically in a third and two. It was actually
a neutral zone infraction on Parsons. I'm sorry. I thought
it was a false start because I saw the tackle
move that saw to tackle the guard moving like you
gotta be all right.

Speaker 2 (02:03:02):
Back to the Rams game against the Eagles. Eighteen seconds left,
first down for the Rams. They are right now down
to the thirty three yard line of the eagleship.

Speaker 1 (02:03:13):
Would be a fifty yard field goal, yes.

Speaker 2 (02:03:15):
And the Rams wow back shoulder pass. Great defense, that
was a dangerous pass right there. Run the football. You
got a timeout, Steve Well, Run the football. It's still
fifty yards. I know, fifty yard field goals seem to
be like extra points these days, but that's a free throw.

Speaker 3 (02:03:29):
But I mean, you gotta make it. It's not a
tie game.

Speaker 2 (02:03:31):
You're down one, but right down past the puka nakua
that could easily have been intercepted.

Speaker 3 (02:03:38):
But anyway, the Rams got.

Speaker 1 (02:03:41):
To turn and find the ball. If he turns the
finals the ball, guess what that is. That's an interception
because you see the ball instead of trying to play
the I just I'm sorry, Well it was a quick pass.
I don't know if he had time. All Right, here
we go.

Speaker 2 (02:03:51):
We are down to thirteen seconds to play right now,
second down the Downs. They're going to run the ball
because they have one time out Remainian. That was a
good run down to the twenty six yard line and
the Rams will use their final timeout.

Speaker 3 (02:04:06):
With three two seconds to go.

Speaker 1 (02:04:08):
So this is it.

Speaker 2 (02:04:09):
They're gonna come on for a field goal attempt. It'll
be approximately forty three yards for the Rams to pull
this game out against the Eagles.

Speaker 3 (02:04:17):
A right two seconds to.

Speaker 1 (02:04:18):
Go here in this Cleveland Green Bay game?

Speaker 3 (02:04:23):
And what are the Browns doing here? I lost side
of this.

Speaker 1 (02:04:26):
Browns right now, okay, two seconds, I got you, I
got you. So they have a field goal attempt of
sixty sixty five yards. It looks for fifty five. Yeah,
we're both Oh we need lass, all right, So there
we go.

Speaker 2 (02:04:36):
Fifty five yard field goal attempt for the Browns. Wow,
if they beat the Packers, all to day.

Speaker 1 (02:04:41):
Money. This is money, all right, money down the pipe.
This is the biggest loss of the date today. Down
the pipe.

Speaker 2 (02:04:48):
Here we go, all right, here we go, a fifty
five yard field goal attempt for the Browns to try
to beat the Green Bay Packers. That gat us up.
It is straight, isn't long enough? It is God, the
Cleveland brown There's a flag. Hold on, there's a flag.
There's a flag. All right, let's see what happens here
on the flag. The kick was definitely good, no doubt.

(02:05:10):
It was a bomb from fifty five yards. They're celebrating
on the field. But we're waiting for what is the
call with the flag for the and there that if
the flag was against the Packers, the Cleveland Browns pulled
this game out. Wow, you knows how I can turn
the game around. I said ten to nothing, I said,
this game is over. There's no way they're going to

(02:05:30):
come back to win. And then Jordan Loved threw that
interception and then the block field goal. All right, here
we go forty three yard field goal attempt for the
Rams to win this game, forty four officially.

Speaker 1 (02:05:41):
For the Rams. Off this is a win.

Speaker 3 (02:05:43):
This was a loss for the Rams.

Speaker 2 (02:05:45):
As here we go, forty four yard field goal attempt
for the Rams. Balls down, The kick is up and.

Speaker 8 (02:05:52):
Is blood.

Speaker 5 (02:05:55):
Run?

Speaker 10 (02:05:56):
Is this for the cover?

Speaker 8 (02:05:58):
Run back?

Speaker 2 (02:06:00):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (02:06:00):
My, you're kidding?

Speaker 10 (02:06:01):
It is a run.

Speaker 1 (02:06:05):
On this show? What was the light on this game?
What was the lin in this game? And a half?
Three and a half.

Speaker 3 (02:06:10):
They blocked the they blocked the field goal, and it's.

Speaker 2 (02:06:14):
Run back for a touchdown. The game over and it's
thirty three twenty six Eagles cover.

Speaker 1 (02:06:20):
Wow, that is unm unbelievable for the cover, oh for
the cover for the win for every day. Wow, unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (02:06:34):
MS win on the fifty five yard field goal forty
four yard field goal attempt by the Rams is block
and return for a touchdown.

Speaker 1 (02:06:41):
I just lost so much money, you believe it? Are
you kidding? Because they can just follow on this right?

Speaker 5 (02:06:46):
You know?

Speaker 1 (02:06:47):
He picks this up.

Speaker 2 (02:06:48):
He takes this, big boy, he blocks it, picks it up,
runs for the score, and the Eagles win and cover.

Speaker 1 (02:06:55):
That was also the second blocked field goal in a row.

Speaker 3 (02:06:58):
And by the way, same thing up the melt getting
in the hands up. These are local.

Speaker 1 (02:07:02):
He blocks it himself. Yes, he blocked it. That's the
triple crown.

Speaker 5 (02:07:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:07:08):
Aw, look at big boy move it and spill is
going to catch him. Look at that all right?

Speaker 2 (02:07:14):
Texans right now trying to keep their faint hopes alive
in their moving right now. Oh wait a second here,
I almost thought this game was over. The Texans down
seventeen to ten to the Jaguars are in Jacksonville Territory.
We're down to twenty six seconds left. Good news for
the Texans. They still have two timeouts. So we got
one more game here, folks, before we can call it

(02:07:36):
on these morning games. But what a finish right there.
What a excruciating loss of the Rams. I don't know
how excruciating it is. The Rams played well.

Speaker 1 (02:07:48):
When you're twenty six side, I know you have to
get all you do. But once again we've talked and
harp doing this. This is not just any other team.
This is the defending champions. I picked them to repeat.
I think that they're going to go back to the
Super Bowl. I think they have the best leadership. I
think they have the best team. I think they got
the best vibe, and they got some of the best
players at the at the most important positions in the

(02:08:09):
entire league. But just this game right here showed the ring.
And I'm with you, cause I've been kind of hinging
on the Rams. You're a guy that's been all in
on them. You think with a healthy Matthew Stafford, they're
winning the NFC West, They're getting deep into the playoffs.
I'm leaning that way with you because if they could
play like this for about three and a half quarters,
but guess what football's four quarters, It's not three and

(02:08:30):
a half. Oh and that is it for the Texans.
As CJ.

Speaker 3 (02:08:34):
Stroud gets picked off.

Speaker 1 (02:08:37):
Oh wow, another interception, my MVP, he still got a shot.

Speaker 2 (02:08:44):
I take a look at this pass play right here.
So they had gotten down to the Jacksonville twenty seven
yard line, they still had two timeouts remaining.

Speaker 1 (02:08:54):
Is the ball hit the ground? That's a pig, that's
clean over.

Speaker 3 (02:09:00):
They're gonna review this.

Speaker 1 (02:09:01):
They're gonna review it, but it doesn't move, it never
touches the ground. His forarming glove is under a ball,
trust me.

Speaker 3 (02:09:08):
And this is just Oh, he got hit. That's what
happened on the ball hit from behind.

Speaker 5 (02:09:12):
So C J.

Speaker 2 (02:09:13):
Stroud, the ball got hit in his hand as he
was throwing. The ball was a dead duck and that
was it. So the uh Jacksonville Jaguars will win. And
that means the Houston Texans are zero and three. And again,
only six teams in the Super Bowl era that's sixty
years have come back from an H three deficit to

(02:09:33):
get into the postseason. Jacksonville takes any game over seventeen
to ten. Jags will win this game, all right. Just
a couple of final scores, guys, Uh, I mean Panthers
thirty Falcons zero that I.

Speaker 1 (02:09:49):
Mean, I mean what? Wow?

Speaker 8 (02:09:50):
What?

Speaker 2 (02:09:51):
Thirty nothing? Thirty nothing? Panthers beat the Falcons today. Pennix
threw a couple of picks, thirty did nothing.

Speaker 1 (02:09:59):
He's gonna have days.

Speaker 2 (02:10:00):
He still commanders all over the Raiders today forty one
to twenty four. Uh. Eagles again thirty three, twenty six.
Steelers did get the win against the Patriots twenty one
to fourteen, a muss game for the Steelers.

Speaker 3 (02:10:13):
They got it done.

Speaker 1 (02:10:14):
Colts three and o, Folks three and oh three and.

Speaker 2 (02:10:18):
Forty one to twenty blowout of the Titans, and that
Browns game thirteen to ten over the Packers. Who saw
that coming.

Speaker 1 (02:10:25):
Oh my goodness, graces are not just a block field
goal return for the Jets to tie it up against yuh?
Okay right now? Wait, okay, what a second, just what
I was about to call it?

Speaker 2 (02:10:37):
Actually they just they was twenty six to twenty Buccaneers
leading at home and the Jets block the kick running
back for a touchdown. Wow, and now they're an extra
point away from taking the lead. There's a minute forty
nine to.

Speaker 1 (02:10:52):
Go in the This is what's this is the extra
point is? Oh my goodness, no one blocked it. They
could get two points on this.

Speaker 12 (02:11:03):
Oh no, that was.

Speaker 1 (02:11:07):
But this was just a regular field goal. That was it.
No one blocked him. He walked straight through.

Speaker 2 (02:11:12):
That is a huge former cycling Will McDonald the force.
I got myself, I got myself over excited about another.

Speaker 1 (02:11:18):
Oh my goodness. Right, so now here is the extra point.

Speaker 2 (02:11:20):
By the Jets with a minute forty ninety go to
actually take the lead and the kick is right down
the middle. All right, twenty seven to twenty six, Jets,
there's another game.

Speaker 3 (02:11:31):
This happens all the time.

Speaker 2 (02:11:32):
He goes doing this game's over and he's us like, okay,
that's that's one game we don't have to watch.

Speaker 1 (02:11:37):
Twenty six.

Speaker 2 (02:11:38):
By the way, Torod, don't call me Tyrod Taylor. Twenty
six to thirty six, one hundred and ninety seven yards
and two touchdowns. So he has been able to bring
this Jets team back and now Baker Mayfield's gonna have
to work his magic.

Speaker 1 (02:11:51):
That was wow.

Speaker 2 (02:11:52):
That was even close insane like he like no one
touched him, that is, hit him right in the chest.

Speaker 1 (02:11:57):
That is a huge miscommunicy.

Speaker 3 (02:11:59):
And once again guy blocking the field goal runs back
for a touchdown.

Speaker 1 (02:12:02):
Man, this day that we've seen so far today has
just been fumbles. Okay, block kicks. Well, we wait on
the kickoff and on this.

Speaker 2 (02:12:10):

the biggest game of the weekend.

Speaker 1 (02:12:31):
I love this right here. We are going to get
the Ravens against the lines too high powered offenses right here.
I'm gonna jump up here trying to make some extra
money man on a plus one eighty three. I like
Lamar Jackson with three touchdown passes. I think this secondary
is still kind of beat up a little bit. Even
Caleb in that blowout last week was able to still
kind of throw the ball around. You can still kind
of throw the ball around on Detroit. And who's better

(02:12:51):
at it right now in the league than other than
a guy like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, the two
best quarterbacks in the NFL. For my money right now,
along with Justin Herbert. Give me Lamar Jackson on Monday night,
foot on front of the whirld three touchsdowns two plus.
I'll give him three four plus one eighty three. He
throws that thing around his eight flowers, baby. I love
is a flowers first touchdown score Tomorrow night, guys plus
seven hundred put ten books on it, making some gas

(02:13:13):
and lunch money for the week.

Speaker 3 (02:13:14):
All right, we had three exciting finishes. Thought we were done.

Speaker 1 (02:13:17):
We're not.

Speaker 2 (02:13:17):
We have one more game. Bo I want you to
make an executive decision right now. Should we keep it
here for a little bit and keep following? As the
Buccaneers takeover minute forty one to go in the fourth quarter,
now trailing the Jets, who saw this coming twenty seven
to twenty six, Let's keep it going. Baker mayfield right now,
and he's throwing the ball down the field wide open.

Speaker 3 (02:13:38):
Oh and he missed it. Oh wow, Wow missed him.

Speaker 1 (02:13:41):
He's wide.

Speaker 3 (02:13:41):
Oh, I mean, why are you put some air under
the ball?

Speaker 1 (02:13:44):
Baker?

Speaker 3 (02:13:44):
What are you doing?

Speaker 16 (02:13:45):
Man?

Speaker 2 (02:13:45):
By the way they're throwing, they're wearing the throwback larseys
for Tampa cream circles.

Speaker 1 (02:13:50):
Yeah, lovesicle larseys. But how does he miss him on
his back foot? That's why he's not his bas is it?
There's allays quarterbacks feet bases of there's why harmn like
literally a walking touchdown. Well, how about this? If you're
Aaron Glenn, how do you like seeing a white jersey
run by three green jerseys up one point on the
road from a comeback? With one thirty six left in
the fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (02:14:10):
All Right, the by the way, the Bucks have two
timeouts remaining, so if they can hold Let's see here,
let's see what's going on. All right, second down, Mayfield
going downfield caught.

Speaker 1 (02:14:21):
Oh, that is a rookie catch the rookie. This kid's
gonna be good. H this catch on the good man.

Speaker 3 (02:14:28):
I might think it was gonna make that catch.

Speaker 1 (02:14:30):
Yeah, this kid has great hands. Man, he might be
the best of all those Ohio State receivers guys Maseraddy,
Marv Jackson, Smith and Jig Budd like Garrett Wilson. I'm
telling you this kid, this kiddy, Buka, this kid is legit.
He has all the tools. We's got four touchdown receptions already,
like he's a touchdown machine. And Baker loves to throw
it to a great compliment for Mike Evans.

Speaker 2 (02:14:50):
All Right, so now they are in Jets territory the
thirty eight yard line. Buccaneers still have two timeouts remaining,
one thirty one to go in the fourth quarter. So
Baker Mayfield, who has been working his magic trying to
get the Bucks to three and oh and they have
another catch on the sideline, that's a catch. Are they
saying catch?

Speaker 1 (02:15:09):
No catch? I don't know, man.

Speaker 8 (02:15:10):
No.

Speaker 2 (02:15:13):
By the way, the Chargers get on the board first
with a field goal early three to nothing lead against
the Broncos. Another game just kicked off. Seahawks have the ball,
no score against the Saints. But our eyes right now.

Speaker 1 (02:15:24):
That's a catch. Bow's right, Bo, you're on. That's a catch.
That second footaps down. I challenge right here. I would
just do it. Well they can they needs, Yeah, they
don't want to.

Speaker 2 (02:15:33):
They're not going to risk it right now at the
very least, all the Bucks want to do it with
two timeouts, Romanians get themselves in a field goal position
and get this game all right. So second down right
now for the Buccaneers, minute twenty five to go, and
Baker Mayfield sees nothing and just throws it away.

Speaker 1 (02:15:50):
I thought the whistles blue to stop the play. I
thought they were going to look at that. I just
think the NFL needs to do a better job at that,
and that what happened was Tampa called attach. Fine, he's
all the time out to give them more, to give
them exactly, They're going right back to this replay. This
is a catch. There's possession watching watching session one down.
Watch the second foot scrape right there. That's a catch

(02:16:14):
that should be a call to the ground, no bobble.
That's that rookie book. This kid, I'm telling you guys,
it's going to be really, really good in the national
football That is insane concentration. And then you screen the
especial looking right right at him. That's a catch.

Speaker 13 (02:16:30):
That wouldn't even be his best catch today though. I
don't think you saw the one in the first quarter
that he caught one handed.

Speaker 1 (02:16:34):
It was I did miss that. He might already be
top fifteen, all right.

Speaker 2 (02:16:39):
So did they call the time out to challenge? They
already snap the ball. They called the time out to
allow the replay booth. I would hope to continue to
look at the play and review to play, which is
smart if they're allowed to do it that way, that's
smart by coach.

Speaker 1 (02:16:53):
I burned the time.

Speaker 2 (02:16:54):
The ball was already he's he's putting his arms up.

Speaker 1 (02:16:57):
He goes, look, I caught that. That's a catch. Yeah,
it's just oh, we got better at that shock.

Speaker 2 (02:17:02):
They are calling it no catch, bad, no catch. So
they used up a timeout and no reversal on the call.
So the clock is reset to minute forty one to go,
and they have a second and ten right now at
the thirty eight yard line.

Speaker 3 (02:17:21):
Of the Jets, so they use up a timeout.

Speaker 2 (02:17:24):
That's interesting that they looked at that review and did
not reverse the phone call and the Bucks trying to
get the into and there it is, big play all
side inside the twenty yard line. Clock is running right
now and now they're going to run the clock.

Speaker 1 (02:17:37):
That's a smart play too. That's a wide receiver screen
from the slot you let all the linemen run through
for the Jets. There it's hot and it's the end
of the game. You want to get to this quarterback.
He's tearing you up and you say, okay, no problem,
come on a Rushes. We're just gonna dump a little
wide receiver slip screen back to the middle and pick
up about eighteen yards. Get it down. I did this.
This should be and you know, putting it putting a

(02:17:57):
nail on the caffee.

Speaker 2 (02:17:58):
Jets have no timeout. Clock is just running right now,
and that's what Tampa wants. They are very much now
all the way down to the eighteen yard line of
the Jets and they're gonna let the clock run run, run, run,
run first down second.

Speaker 1 (02:18:11):
Again because one time I left, so you got to
snap this.

Speaker 2 (02:18:15):
Well, they'll they'll snap it, but they're just not even
trying to get any yards. They're just gonna let the
clock run all the way down and use that last
time out to stop the clock for you know, like
three seconds left.

Speaker 1 (02:18:25):
It would be about four five seconds left on the clock.
Kick the field goals six seconds about yep, kick the
field goals.

Speaker 3 (02:18:29):
All the way this we you know, everyone keeps talking
about the great kick?

Speaker 1 (02:18:33):
Am I? Am I?

Speaker 3 (02:18:34):
How many block kicks do we see today?

Speaker 13 (02:18:36):
There's about four or five of them? I mean block kicks,
at least four. They're two in the Rams Eagles games,
there's one in Cleveland, there's one in the Jets. The
Jets here is wow?

Speaker 2 (02:18:45):
I mean, by the way, these are like game deciding Yeah,
blocks and the fumbles.

Speaker 1 (02:18:51):
Like I said, it's been but isn't this what's so
great about the NFL, guys is that you get these
Sundays where it is just points and we're used to that.
We've seen points, but we haven't seen fumbles. We haven't
seen guys all right, making these type of plays time
and time again. In one day.

Speaker 2 (02:19:04):
All right, Baker Mayfield takes a snap, goes to the knee,
final time out, three seconds left, So this ball, this
will be about a thirty five yard field goal.

Speaker 1 (02:19:15):
This is cash. I mean you say it's cash.

Speaker 2 (02:19:18):
I see your kicker is hyperventilating right now.

Speaker 1 (02:19:20):
I've got a good run going right now with calling kicks. Man,
remember the Atlanta kick.

Speaker 2 (02:19:24):
I mean, your whole career is riding on the line
on this kick. It's like, can you hit a straight
t shot off the tee? Uh, he's already had one
kick block. It just got a block and it was
right in the middle. You don't think that's on his mind.
That's the last thing he saw as a kicker.

Speaker 1 (02:19:40):
Yeah, well I better be on the center and the
guards mind too? Who let him walk right through there?

Speaker 2 (02:19:44):
Well, the Jets obviously know there's a Chase McLoughlin right now.
The last thing he saw was kick block and run
back for a touchdown that gave the Jets the lead.
All right, So the three seconds left balls in the
middle of the field. It's a thirty five yard field
goal attempt to give the bucket nears the win and
a three to oh start money and the money here
he goes kick is down and is right down the middle.

(02:20:07):
Tampa Bay Bulls it out. They moved to three and
oh on the season. The Jets their season is over.
They're zero and three bye by Jets, And so the
Buccaneers moved to three and oh. And with that we
continue on win more games around the National Football League.

Speaker 1 (02:20:24):
This is end Zone Radio, and people.

Speaker 3 (02:20:26):
Are like, what what do you want?

Speaker 1 (02:20:28):
They bloked in the last time the Bulls spotted.

Speaker 3 (02:20:32):
The tick is away blocked.

Speaker 1 (02:20:34):
It's blocked. It's looked up by the Eagles.

Speaker 6 (02:20:37):
Well they look at its Davis thirty twenty ten five
touchdown tables.

Speaker 1 (02:20:45):
Sure's tables? Are you kidding me?

Speaker 10 (02:20:47):
Look to the gun?

Speaker 1 (02:20:48):
Are you rinning long to the gun? Have you ever
see anything like this? Don't believe in miracles. The Whams
are standing silent.

Speaker 6 (02:20:57):
They ten believe what just but to the successful field
goal blocks winn Flee Eagles. What a great flat game,
what a great great comebuck and the final score is
thirty three.

Speaker 2 (02:21:12):
To twenty six ninety four WIP Eagles Radio Network. It
was a miracle cover man for the Eagles with the
block field goal return for a touchdown. As you beat
the Rams, thirty three to twenty seven unbelievable early games
around the NFL. Four of those games go all the
way down to the wire. So now we're getting ready

(02:21:34):
for these afternoon games. Once again, this is End Zone Radio,
Steve Harbin VJ. Husky with you here in the Fox
Sports Radio studios.

Speaker 1 (02:21:43):
Wow. By the way, this show is.

Speaker 2 (02:21:45):
Sponsored by DraftKings Sportsbook, an official sports betting partner of
the NFL. Right now, use the promo code Fox Game.
That's Fox Game to claim your special offer at DraftKings. DraftKings,
the crown is yours. Don't forget. That's promo code Fox Game.

Speaker 1 (02:22:00):
All right.

Speaker 2 (02:22:01):
From here, let's find out what's trending right now is Yes,
we got games all over the place around the NFL.
Two games underway, now, we got four games underway around
the NFL, and of course Monsei is all.

Speaker 10 (02:22:12):
Over it, good trying to be all over it. There's
a lot going on. It was a busy last half
for some of these games. A busy beginning start for
the Seahawks.

Speaker 11 (02:22:23):
Sam Darnald and company in the score on the scoreboard
with two touchdowns there on top of the Saints. Right now,
fourteen zero, halfway through the first quarter Chargers on top
of the Broncos three zero. Also halfway through the first
Cowboys and Bears, Cardinals and forty nine Ers.

Speaker 10 (02:22:40):
They just got going. The other games that.

Speaker 11 (02:22:42):
Have rammed up.

Speaker 10 (02:22:44):
Wow, what a comeback win for the Eagles. I'm not upset. No,
I'm not upset, even though I took the Rams to
cover and win. No, I'm not upset. I'm not upset,
you guys. This is upset, but upset.

Speaker 11 (02:22:54):
Unbelievable goals came back to beat their Hams thirty three
twenty two. Jalen Hurts in the second half really turned
it on. The Rams said we dare you to throw.
He said, watch me. He ended twenty one of thirty
two two hundred and twenty six yards, three touchdowns. He
had nine carries forty yards and a rushing touchdown that

(02:23:15):
came early in the game because LA really shut down
Saquon Barkley eighteen carries forty six yards. So aj Brown
ended with six catches one hundred and nine yards on
a touchdown and LA looked like they were still gonna win.
They had a chance to win it with.

Speaker 10 (02:23:29):
The field goal.

Speaker 11 (02:23:30):
Philly blocked that field goal as time expired. Returned it
for a touchdown, so they ended thirty three to twenty six.
The Cold stay undefeated. They rolled past the Titans no problem,
forty one to twenty times still have not won a game.
The Vikings embarrassed the Bengals forty eight to ten. Vikings
cornerback Isaiah Rodgers at a pick six and a forced

(02:23:51):
fumble that he returned for a touchdown. The Browns got
third first win a walk off fifty five yard field
goal to beat the Packers thirteen to ten. In that one,
the Steelers defeated the Patriots twenty one to fourteen. Aaron
Rodgers sixteen of twenty three, one hundred and thirty nine
yards and two touchdowns. He has now passed Brett Favre
on the all time career passing touchdown list. He is

(02:24:13):
now number four with five hundred and ten. Brett Farvin
at number five with five oh eight, Paint Manning and
at number three five thirty nine, Drew Brees number two,
and of course Tom Brady number one, six hundred and
forty nine. The Panthers got their first win this season.
They crushed the Falcons thirty to zero. In fact, Michael
Pennix was benched in the fourth quarter and they put

(02:24:34):
in Kirk Cousins. He ended eighteen to thirty six one
hundred and seventy two yards and two interceptions. The Buccaneers
survived twenty nine to twenty seven against the Jets. Baker
Mayfield nineteen of twenty nine two hundred and twenty three
yards and one touchdown that went to Mike Evans, who
left the game by the way with the Hammy Andreia
hamstring injury and never came back.

Speaker 10 (02:24:51):
Also, the Buccaneers are.

Speaker 11 (02:24:53):
Expected to get wide receiver Chris Godwin and offensive tackle
Tristan wirfsback for next week. They both didn't play, but
he has reports that they have a strong chance to
make their debut next Sunday against the Eagles. The Commanders
outscored the Raiders forty one to twenty four. Jaguars top
the Texans seventeen to ten. In college football, ESPN reports
to Syracus quarterback Steve Nngelly will be out for the

(02:25:15):
rest of the year. MRI revealed that he tore his
achilles in their win at Clemson. When it comes to baseball,
Reds trying to get that final wildcard spot and they're
right now up on the Cubs one zero bottom of
the seventh inning, Braves are on top of the Tigers
three zero top of the ninth inning, and the Mets
lost to the Nationals three to two. So that's how

(02:25:37):
the Reds can get in there because they do have
the tiebreaker over the Mets if they get on a
tie break for that final wildcard spot.

Speaker 10 (02:25:43):
By the way, in the National.

Speaker 11 (02:25:45):
League and in the WNBA playoffs, yeah, Asia Wilson won
her fourth MVP, but right now the Aces are losing
to the Fever sixty nine to fifty five after three
quarters in Las Vegas.

Speaker 10 (02:25:56):
Weaver see without I.

Speaker 2 (02:25:59):
Was going to say playoff series without her without yes,
Sophie or Aery McDonald. That is unbelievable story.

Speaker 3 (02:26:10):
All right, Monsie, thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (02:26:12):
Today great stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:26:16):
And we got coming up as far as craziness. All right,
once again, we're in the Fox Sports Radio studios. After
the show, the podcast is going up. So if you
missed any of today's show, check out the podcast. Just
search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts, and
then follow and review the podcast rate at five stars. Again,
just search Fox Sports Radio where we get your podcasts.

(02:26:36):
See today's show posted right after we get off the air,
so Vja, I was just gonna look here at how
many undefeated teams we still have Remainia.

Speaker 1 (02:26:45):
Well, I was looking at the three team, So why
you're on your computer. I was on my iPad overra.
I'm looking at the three because I think that's a
more interesting conversation.

Speaker 2 (02:26:55):
All right, Well, first of all, one thing that I predicted,
and again anyone that's followed me over these many years
knows go the opposite way.

Speaker 1 (02:27:02):
You could be a very very rich person.

Speaker 2 (02:27:05):
But I did say the reason I like the Buffalo
Bills to be the top seed in the AFC is
that they play in such a weak division.

Speaker 1 (02:27:14):
And it's looking that way. Sorry. Treants are one and two, Jets.

Speaker 2 (02:27:17):
Are owing three, Miami's owing three, So the Bills already
at three and oho Indianapolis, Nobody outside of Moncie could
have predicted they would be three. Oh, Jacksonville's two to one.
And then you got the Texans and the Titans. No
one expected the Texans, and everybody thought the Titans could
be owing three. And then you got the Eagles city

(02:27:38):
at three and oh, right now, can they break the streak?
Be the first team in more than twenty years to
repeat as NFC East champs as today's I mean, think
about it. You're down twenty six to seven, twenty six
straight unanswered points. Yeah, against a Rams team that I
promise you will be in the postseason this year. That

(02:27:58):
is an incredible comeback by an incredible team. And then
Tampa has suddenly spaced out them two game lead already
in that NFC South Falcons just laid an egg today
losing thirty nothing to Carolina. The Saints obviously winless. That's
a bad division. So those are teams running away. Now
we still have the winner of the forty nine er
cardinal game, barring a tie, will be three and ozer

(02:28:20):
in the Chargers obviously, with a chance to get to
three and oho if they can beat the Broncos. And
by the way, with the Raiders losing today, if the
Chargers win, they will be two games clear of the
rest of the division.

Speaker 1 (02:28:34):
Regardless of what the Chiefs do. Two games clear and
all three division wins. Yeah, beating the Chiefs, beating the Raiders,
and today if they win this game, beat the car
beat the Broncos. You you tell somebody they don't want that.
Before the end of September or in the NFL, they're
gonna if they say no, they're trust me, they're lying.
So I'm with you, man. Some of these undefeated teams,
some of these owning three teams. We're gonna see what's

(02:28:55):
up with the Chiefs and the Giants later tonight. Someone's
going out. Oh Now, if the Giants leave Owen three,
we're not gonna be shot. But if the Giants somehow
pulled this game out and the Chiefs are now oh
and three, will be a three, a full four games
behind the Chargers, being that the Chargers already beat them
head to head, so even if you come even with them,
they will still have the head to head tiebreaker against you.

(02:29:17):
Right now, as we watched Caleb Williams, as I said, guy,
remember guys, I thought he'd be able to throw the
ball around today, a little bit romadonsay for him. We
don't see a flag pop up on the screen. Not
sure what that celebration is, but okay, I'm tired. I
guess it. Well, some people some.

Speaker 13 (02:29:32):
People here may have roma dunsay in a prop parlace.
Some people I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:29:38):
Well, i'll tell you what, Sam, I'll tell you this
you better tell treyvon Digg stop trying to press him
at the line of scripts like that, or he's just
gonna get thrown to the side like he's just the
roma Dune is a big guy. I just almost bo
I've always seen him as like a Quentin Johnston from TCU.
Uh that that's not what the Chargers like. You can't.
You could put tape on it. You can show me
these great plays, but when you watch the totality of

(02:29:59):
a game, not a great route runner, not fast like
could he be Keenan Allen? I don't know, but I
have him in that early mode of I still gotta
kind of see it the last few weeks. He's showing
showing the last few weeks all right.

Speaker 2 (02:30:16):
By the way, your prediction of an H to seventeen
season for the Saints scenes very much on track. Yeah,
you talk about a team mailing it in today they're
already down fourteen to nothing. The Seahawks may get twenty
to nothing waiting for an extra point. As the Seahawks
are just absolutely running through this team.

Speaker 1 (02:30:35):
And this is gonna be a forty Saints and it
is gonna get.

Speaker 2 (02:30:39):
By the way quick note Arch Manning yesterday against Sam Houston,
finally had some numbers. You know, he was efficient, at
least he was throwing the ball. We'll see as they
get into the meet of their schedule. But if the
Saints indeed lived down to expectations and end up with
the number one pick in the draft, do you still
think they go Arch Manning a hundred?

Speaker 1 (02:30:57):
That's no sense. You have to man, I don't care
if you got to pay somebody at Texas to convince
him to leave, because he doesn't have to leave, and
a lot of people think he's going to come back
and play that full which would be for him his
full Well.

Speaker 2 (02:31:10):
I guarantee his family would love him to play for
the Saints. Now again it's his hometown. But do you
want to play for the Saints? I mean, we talked
about this at the very beginning of the show, talk
about some of these quarterbacks that resurrect their career because
they're just in a better circumstance than they were originally.
Wrong team, wrong place, wrong time, right team, right place,

(02:31:33):
right time. If you're Arch Manning, and remember his uncle,
Eli said, I don't want to play for the Chargers
right force. The Chargers, even though they did draft him
first overall to make the deal with the Giants. He
ends up winning two Super Bowls with the Giants.

Speaker 1 (02:31:47):
If you're.

Speaker 2 (02:31:49):
Arch Manning, if you're Cooper Manning his father, do you
want him to play for the New Orleans Saints?

Speaker 1 (02:31:56):
All right, I'm gonna spin it on you like this.
If that's the case right now, the answer is no.
But I pull every power play I could. I pull
every piece of power I could. Because I'm the Manning family,
I have Arch make some noise. We gotta get a
different general manager. We need a different head, like we
this might be a situation, Steve that people will hate

(02:32:18):
the scene and so many people will trash it, right,
they'll talk junk about it. I'll be a guy who
stands right here and raise my hand and say, hey,
when you give somebody power, I'm not mad at them
for wielding it, Okay. And if I'm the man In family, yeah,
you want them there, but we want control coming in.
Who's coaching them, who's the offensive coordinator, who's the passing
game coordinator, who's the like? Like, we want to be

(02:32:39):
able to call it, because if you're the Saints, what
do you say? No, what do you say if you know,
we're gonna go with Spencer Ratler and we'll draft the
best offensive tackle at number one overall. Yeah, good, let
that out. And they have to take arch man, have to.

Speaker 2 (02:32:55):
But if I'm the man in family, I want some power.
I want some power on it, all right, the Broncos Chargers.
You know, we got three minutes to go in the
first quarter. This is a defensive struggle right now. Herbert
just four to ten passing, but Bo Nicks and the
Broncos only have sixteen total yards against that Charger team.
And of course, uh no Khalil mac for they're guessing

(02:33:18):
about four weeks for Khalil Mack with that dislocated elbow
that had.

Speaker 1 (02:33:22):
A really hurt You saw when it happened. You can
elbow actually you see it kind of pop through the
front of the where it's not supposed to go.

Speaker 2 (02:33:29):
And can imagine pack Ken you know he was sort
of holding his arm. These guys are yeah, trust hurts
with everything. Level step really fast because you're a humble guy,
you really are. You' accomplished a lot and this is
a big day for you. We stop still here playing
with monsters confetti. Then she shout out the US but
I do think you should pull some power play too now, man,
because you see you got juice now. Yeah, seein you

(02:33:50):
got you got Jews. You don't got a lot of swag,
but you got juice now.

Speaker 1 (02:33:54):
And when at the top of the hour when they
do the editing, and now for the INDs on the show,
like you know a Rose gets you know, former All
Pro safety or our twelve year veteran Rich Ornberg, I
think it needs to be Southern California Hall of Thing
broadcaster Steve Harmon in DJ Vernon Husky. You know, yeah,
I know, but understand this week.

Speaker 2 (02:34:17):
For years and years and years and years and years,
my show is known as the Loose Cannons. Will everyone
else had their name on their show?

Speaker 1 (02:34:24):
I know you told you thought you always did always
did this. No, you never wanted your name.

Speaker 2 (02:34:29):
The team effort, it's always in a team effort. We
know what's your show, right, we know it's your show.
But yeah, you have to work as a team. We
see it in the NFL all the time.

Speaker 1 (02:34:39):
Send email you ain't.

Speaker 3 (02:34:40):
Winning, You ain't winning, alright, what can't come back with?

Speaker 1 (02:34:42):
Uh? Much more?

Speaker 3 (02:34:43):
Coming up?

Speaker 1 (02:34:44):
Four games right now?

Speaker 3 (02:34:45):
A little preview. What's going to happen tonight and tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (02:34:48):
This is end Zone Radio.

Speaker 16 (02:34:50):
Tory Horton, the rookie is deep for the Seahawks. He
stands just inside his own twenty. This is a long,
high spiral. Horton back at his own five, gets a one,
gets two, blocks, turns up field, cuts some running room.

Speaker 1 (02:35:02):
Acrocker thirty thirty.

Speaker 6 (02:35:04):
Five, who may go forty one o'clock commitfield forty thirty
twenty fifteen ten five, mister Horty.

Speaker 1 (02:35:13):
Touchdown Seahawks.

Speaker 6 (02:35:18):
Unbelievable blocks, great run by the rookie ninety five.

Speaker 2 (02:35:23):
Yards got Seahawks Radio Network. Anything you do against the Saints,
should there be an asterisk? I don't know, but he
had a twenty one nothing Seahawks. Saints actually have the
ball and driving into Seahawks territory right now, just seconds
to go in the first quarter of that game. Once again,

(02:35:46):
Fox Sports Radio Studios. That's us end Zone Radio. And
before we do anything else, I want to thank everybody
that is part of our team. It's an incredible team
weekend and week out. How we put this show together
every week. Monceys, of course, thank you.

Speaker 1 (02:36:03):
Mon Mama Bear.

Speaker 3 (02:36:04):
You helped make a little bit of a mess here
in the studio today. So thank you very much.

Speaker 10 (02:36:08):
No, absolutely my pleasure.

Speaker 11 (02:36:10):
Even though that confetti did come from Iowa, Sam, I
gotta say.

Speaker 1 (02:36:13):
I was just.

Speaker 2 (02:36:16):
I Sam, of course, always thinking of him, of me,
always thinking of me.

Speaker 5 (02:36:21):
Sam.

Speaker 3 (02:36:22):
I'm glad you were here today. Sam's great to see you.
Thank you so my Hall of Famer appreciate.

Speaker 10 (02:36:27):
That, right right, mister hall of Famer.

Speaker 1 (02:36:33):
He doesn't have to talk like his voting was like
you are the vote, bro.

Speaker 2 (02:36:36):
And then well and then and then bou pulled this off.

Speaker 3 (02:36:40):
He gave no hint of what was to come at
the top of the show.

Speaker 1 (02:36:43):
That was a great job, bro. Sam almost gave it
away by saying we're gonna have and I told him
doing the first commercial break after we do it, I said,
and Sam goes, yeah, we're gonna have a great start
to the show. And in my head, you know, I'm
so dumb, like we're all football, We're kind of vague.
You know, we're gonna have a great start to the show.

Speaker 2 (02:36:59):
Honestly, when you brought Bit sch Omberger on, I thought,
you know, he was like, I want to back on
the show.

Speaker 3 (02:37:04):
By the other showed, I thought it was like Rich
is back.

Speaker 2 (02:37:08):
I haven't talked to Original why he's been so busy
with everything he's been doing these days?

Speaker 3 (02:37:14):
And uh yeah, I thought he was like trying.

Speaker 1 (02:37:17):
To beg to get back to guess Steve, I got scared?
Did you get? I got? I'm not going a lot?
What is like when when he first starts talking, I'm like,
come on.

Speaker 3 (02:37:27):
Just got He goes.

Speaker 2 (02:37:29):
The show's never sounded better, But I've made decide that
I want to come back. But unbelievable day to day.
Thank you so much guys for what was a very
special day. It's going to continue to get special. After
the top of the hour, Dan Buyer Kerry Rhodes will
take over here. Uh as we got these afternoon games going.
By the way, the show is sponsored by Draft Kings

(02:37:49):
sportsbook and official sports betting partner of the NFL. Right now,
use the promo code Fox Game That's Fox Game to
claim your special offer to Draft Kings.

Speaker 3 (02:37:58):
Draft Kings, the Crown is yours.

Speaker 2 (02:37:59):
Don't forget the pro mode code Fox Game all right,
one more and I guess you're saving it for the
Monday night matchup. Wow, Lions Ravens, what do you got
here for a Draft kings pick.

Speaker 1 (02:38:12):
This is right up my alley. Bow this for you too, man,
because you like quirky little bets like me. You like
to dig deep, you don't You and I we Scooba divers.
We don't snorkel like my three year old daughter, Journey
can snorkel, Cameron can snorkel. Everybody can't Scooba dive. I'm
going with the under for first quarter part. The Ravens
have been starting slow right the last week against Cleveland.
We're like, what's going on? Then you know, you blink.

(02:38:33):
They got forty points on the board. The under nine
and a half for that game tomorrow in the first
quarter as a plus one twenty four, I would take that,
and then also the first half, the Ravens would have
to be leading by four points of more for that
to cover. I think it's gonna be a close game.
They start slow, and then I think they get their
wills going. I still think Derrick Henry's reeling from that fumble.

Speaker 8 (02:38:56):
Man.

Speaker 1 (02:38:56):
He only had what eleven carries I believe last week. Yeah,
and I think that was a come out. I think
that was a coaching decision that let's let's get this
guy a little break because that had to be a
long flight back from Buffalo, being that his fumble resulted
directly into the Bills pulling that game off. As he's
got like three hundred yards rushing against him in the

(02:39:16):
last two games at Buffalo.

Speaker 2 (02:39:18):
I thought Dan Campbell did a very smart thing against
the Bears last week. So he had the disappointing opening
loss against Green Bay, and he allowed Jared Goff to
pour it on, pour it on, pour it on, send
a message and get his confidence back. All of a sudden,
used all his passing numbers go back up to the
top of the list because he pours it on against

(02:39:40):
a subpar Bears team.

Speaker 3 (02:39:41):
But I think that's a that's a smart play, right
it is. We got to get our quarterback back.

Speaker 2 (02:39:46):
You know, he's you know, he no longer has you know,
Ben Johnson standing there on the sidelines. Maybe he's a
little uncertain about himself after a subpar game against the Packers.

Speaker 1 (02:39:55):
Now he's got it back. I agree with I think
it's going to be a very close game.

Speaker 3 (02:40:00):
Hard to do.

Speaker 1 (02:40:01):
We got a touchdown where the Bears, the Bears are
running away from the Cowboys. What is going on.

Speaker 2 (02:40:07):
On the third unbelievable so the Bears at home against
the Dallas Cowboys. Cowboys obviously coming off a game where
they gave up four hundred and fifty yards passing to
Russell Wilson and Caleb Williams is starting to put up
some numbers right now. One hundred and thirty five yards
passing and two touchdowns for Caleb Williams with four minutes

(02:40:28):
ago in the first quarter.

Speaker 1 (02:40:30):
Yeah. Man, big day to day for Caleb wins. Congratulations,
stay the Hall of Famer y'all.

Speaker 3 (02:40:36):
Wow, much more coming up here on Fox Sports.

Speaker 10 (02:40:39):
