say this much, I have never in this pats my

at me. I had my buddies that try to check

I was driving home and I was like, I was
so excited that the show was over by like eleven,

I did listen to the first segment and I missed
you guys too just as much.

Well, I uh, I'm not gonna lie. And there's no
if ants or butts about it. And I think Mark
can attest to it again, no knock on anyone. Feel
it's just not the same whenever, whenever you're not here.
Now that chipping in the same the same little different world.
And then last week, let's see what is this?

Last week was also pretty cool because it was the
first time I'd actually been back in Oklahoma in quite
a while, so I was feeling sprised, like I'm back
in my studio, I've got you know, you never know
what kind of weirdos might show up at my door
in the middle of the night. You never know what
critters could be out there when I have to use
my my what do they call outhouse, whenever it's time

to use the restroom.

It's just you were missed.

So I'm glad that you're back, and you missed what
I think now as we get into the gut to
the program, you miss what I thought was truly one
of the more wild nights in.

Kind of just the network.

Because you know, I say this a lot that the
show I listened to the most on Fox Sports Radio
is Jason and Mike. It's it just seems to be
on whenever I'm I'm a fan. I love those dudes.
I like getting a chance when I give the opportunity
to where I don't think I've ever got a chance
to do a show with Jason, but to get a cheat.
I've done a couple of shows with Mike before in
the past. I love that crew. And last week was

as when I say this, I don't it to be
taken the wrong way. Was as high as I've ever
heard Jason, And by that I mean he had every
reason to be high on sports right, I mean he
was as happy as a clam. He's telling me that
Jalen Brunson is the greatest Nick of all time? Great,
think about that for a moment, and again, Jason, I
know that you at that moment, admit I might be

a prisoner of the moment here, But greatest Nick of
all time? Think about that, Think about the names and
a played in Knick's history. But a team advancing not
to the finals, not winning a championship, but getting to
the Eastern Conference finals was eliciting the kind of response
where statements like that were being made. And I'm listening,
I'm not saying it that Jason was. There's a lot

of people that were like.

Oh, it's the goodest Snick of all time. Look what
he's done.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
You had people partying in the streets. We were bing
bonging like crazy. They were climbing the top of billboards
in New York City. It was great. It was crazy town.
And I for one, I for one, am never gonna
be someone to tell fans how to act right.

But I do think.

Every now and then there was a moment where someone
might pull back when they're walking away and be like, hey, guys,
well we only made the Eastern Conference Finals here, I mean,
do you boo? But I mean Oklahoma City reached the
Western Conference Finals for the first time in over a decade.
And I mean outside of those nerds that feel like

they need to go to the airport every single time
they come home and greet them, you didn't have people
tearing through the streets of Oklahoma Ceta. I mean, heck,
look at look at Minnesota. You didn't have people tearing
through the streets of Minneapolis, like, oh, here we go,
there we're back. It was the last time. Well, back
to back seasons, but prior to that, Minnesota's not going
crazy pacers back to back season, but Indianapolis, but oh

my gosh, that Nick's made the Eastern Conference Finals and
were losing her mind. Like I said, not here to
judge you do you just seemed a little bit I
don't know a little bit much Aaron Torres and Aeron
Torres filed in for Arnie, and I think he kind
of helped pull me off the leg because I was
really I was just perplexed by the reaction, Like what,
I kind of get celebrating throwing up high fives when

you're on your way out, but that seemed to be
the kind of reaction when you're getting a chance to
play for a.

Championship, right, you thought it was extra?

Speaker 5 (06:25):
It sounds like there it is.

That's a kid. That's my kid's phrase all the time.
Dad should be an extra, And in this instance, I
thought Knicks fans were being a lie bit extra, but
I respected it. Fast forward, not like thirty six days,
not like there's just seven days. I don't know if
that is probably a sadder time for New York Knicks
fans right now. I mean, how do you go from

being as in control as they were in game one
to being down two games to none? Right now, we
got a full recap if you missed anything tonight, if
you had to work the third shift, so maybe grab
the nap or something. We're gonna recap this whole game
coming up right off the top of hour number two,
all the play by play highlights, all the big moments.
I guess though, the bottom line, more than anything else,

is just a very simple question, Bree, How how did
this happen? How did we go from a point in
the Knicks Pacers series where with less than three minutes
to go in Game one? Now I'm gonna this is
gonna be a little bit of confession time. So I

don't want anyone to judge me. I understand I'm a
little bit of an elder gentleman now, but I'm young
at heart. So when I make this confession, please don't
judge me. But on when was When was game one
of this series? It would be one Wednesday night. On
Wednesday night, there was a lot going on. There was
softball stuff I was following. There was college baseball going on.

There was a lot going on on Wednesday night when
there was let me see here so I can make
sure I get my timing right. Jalen Brunson made a
three with two fifty one to go. It made it
one night and we're going back to Game one.

This is not just busting myself out. There was two
fifty one to go in the game. It was a
fourteen point lead. I turned the channel. I turned the channel.
I was like, this is over, this is over. I
went back watching a little baseball. I fell asleep. I
fell asleep, Brie. I didn't realize the Nicks had blown

that game until I woke up the next morning and
looked at Twitter.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
Are you seriously you missed it? You totally missed it,
missed everything.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
So I had to and I'm an early Riser. So
when I woke up and I'm scrolling through Twitter, and
the first thing I see is like ESPN's Twitter feed
had posted the stat about was like oh in four
thousand when teams had been at that point or something
ridiculous like that.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
And I was like, well, why why.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Would they be posting that stat Why would that be
a number that they That seems kind of odd. And
then you go back through and you realize, oh my gosh,
the Pacers came back and did it. So you go
back your relive it, you know, you YouTube gives you
like game minute. I went back and watched I think
what ended up being the final three minutes of that

(09:22):
fourth quarter and then overtime, and you're just in shock.
And then it becomes after that, all right, I'm caught up.
How did the Knicks respond going forward? And I thought tonight,
I thought they responded pretty well, to be honest with you,
but they just didn't have enough in the end. Now,
my confession aside the Knicks a style still down two

games to not how did we get from a point
breed where Chris Plank is falling asleep with three minutes
to go in game one? Because this game is, as
Arnie Spaniel would spell out for you, O V er
over to losing that game one thirty eight, one thirty
five and overtime and then getting beat tonight in one
fourteen to one oh nine.

Is it a fatigue issue or is it just flat
out getting out coached?

I think it's a fatigue issue. And actually Monsei and
I were having this discussion yesterday. It's like they just
don't have the depth, and now it's just so obvious
now right Like it's just like the Pacers are ready
to go, like they're starters those minutes, like they're averaging
what thirty two to like maybe thirty four, and like
the Knicks are like forty thirty eight to forty two.

I mean, the averages are insanely different.

Final score tonight, one fourteen, one oh nine. Will have
much much more on this as the program goes on.
But I agree with you, and there are certain things
that at times I push back against, and maybe depth
in the NBA playoffs had been one of them. But
I feel like with the way that certain teams I'm
looking at you, Casey can come at you in waves

and seeing what the pacers have been able to do.
I kind of think it's a little bit more important
for both the Knicks and the Timberwolves.

And maybe I had ever even thought they just can't match.

They can't match the intensity and the energy te Wolves
can't do with OKAC, Knicks can't do with the pacers
that they're able to bring.

guess you could say obsession since we started doing this
program as a family. That is Aaron Rodgers, who still
doesn't have a home, though he's dropping hints like crazy.

lot of NFL news this week, and now we'll pay
tribute to the legend Jimmers say on the program tonight,

stop it. The Bills tried to do it against the
Chiefs and it didn't work. It didn't work. Not everyone

maybe looking back now, might have cost the Bills a
trip to the super Bowl. The Eagles have perfected it
with Jalen Hurt's absolute perfection. But I don't have this
overriding feeling that it's got to go. It's ruining the game.

get on your level. I've just always been of the
of the opinion in the football world. As long as
you're not completely and totally cheating, go stop it. You

vote went down, and people made it seem like it
was smoked, like it just absolutely got crushed. And then
you look back and you realize, damn that thing nearly

and two thirds of the league doesn't think this is
the right way to go as far as the rules
