We got a lot to get to today on the show,
and not a whole lot of time to do it.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Start off the show.

Speaker 5 (01:25):
Obviously we had a different top of the show topic,
but with the breaking news of Kyrie Jackson, we'll probably
we're just gonna start right here with with the tragic
news of Kyrie Jackson's passing u in a car accident.
I don't know Ilo helped me out on this. I

(01:46):
don't know that we have any more details other than
it was him, a couple of his high school teammates
that that perished in the accident. No, no inform, no
more information other than that at this point.

Speaker 6 (02:00):
Correct, Yes, that is correct. No other details about the
circumstances other than to say, and this is an area
you obviously know quite well, LeVar. It occurred in Upper Marlborough, Maryland, which, yeah,
it's much closer to to Washington, d C. Than Baltimore's
the DMV.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
It is the d m V.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
He went to Wise High School, and I'm very a
lot of lot of really really talented players have come
from Wise High. Yeah, my parents still to this day
reside in Upper Marlborough. So he's he's I mean, they
probably man might have been on the three oh one.
It sounds like I'll probably get some more news on
it as as we move forward into it. But yeah,

(02:44):
it's some that's this is some sad news, plex TJ.
We got stretched and and we got uh TJ. Here,
that's sad when you hear of these type of tragedies
that that take place. My my first response and my
first thought is thoughts and prayers to him and his family.

(03:08):
I can't even imagine that's that's gotta be something that
tears and rips your you apart, rips your heart apart,
when one of your babies passes away tragically. I don't know, man,
I felt this one. It hit me in the chest.
I mean, anytime anybody loses their lives this way, it

(03:29):
obviously impacts you. But I had just seen him play,
you know, and this was one of the schools that
that man man was looking at.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
I was fully aware of who Kyrie was.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Because he was from the d m V and uh
one of one of my kids, uh Solomon Solomon Davis
that goes to to Oregon was telling me about him
and and and talking about some of the guys from
the East Coast. So this one hit me a little harder.
I don't know him, I've never met him, just knew
knew who he was, saw his game, his game, and

(04:01):
just thoughts and prayers go out.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Man. What what what you guys? What was your first reactions?

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Fellas anytime something like this happens, a young man loses
his life, it's always a sad situation.

Speaker 7 (04:14):
I want you, LeVar.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
I didn't know him, but I met him at the
combine just through passing, and his agent is a friend
of mine, and so that that's that's how I would say.

Speaker 7 (04:27):
I got to know him.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
But it was just how you do hi, man, just
giving you know the young men advice, particular himself, like
I said, because of his agent, Trey. It sucks, bro,
it really does, because you have your entire life in
front of you. Yeah, and it tragically ends and his parents,

(04:55):
his family members, the other young men or women that
work with him. I give your condolence, Give my condolences
to your friends and family.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Man.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Their life will never be the same, Their lives will
never And I don't know how it is, but to
be a parent and lose a child at this age
when not only is your entire life in front of you,
but the life that you dreamed of of being a

(05:29):
professional athlete. What you've worked for your entire life is
right there in front of you there, and so it
really really sucks.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Man, Just praying, you know, for his family. Man, it's
always tough.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
Man. You know what I was gonna get on this show, man,
and I was gonna, you know, rehash the whole usher
speech that he made on BT the Year of the
Father is the year of the Father talk about and
you know Lebron and his son and and now you

(06:06):
get this news is you know, we all are more
important than ever then then we would ever know. We're
all learning life as we go, and they look up
to us and want to be like us and emulate
everything that we do. And I'm just downstairs, man, I'm

(06:30):
I'm making eggs and bacon and waffles and sauss everything.
Me and my little man, we downstairs just vibing, and
it's just, you know, you can't comprehend what his family's
going through at this time, and just it's it's unfortunate,

(06:52):
uh space right now for them and their life was
never be the same. But man, just uh man, condolences
to his family. Ah Man. We just everybody's just trying
to do the best he can do, man, to raise
their children and it's his unfortunate space that they're in

(07:12):
right now. And man, all you can do is pray
for the family.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
So first thing I thought about, and just listening to
you talk about cooking breakfast with Elijah, and and I
know you you got crew, you know, and it's one
thing you know, when you lose your your boy man
like man like being that father figure to your son,

(07:36):
and and and just just what that represented. That's the
first thing that came to mind when I thought about it,
was how much I worry about my son.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Like my daughters.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
They're not they don't do anything like that's crazy, irrational,
you know.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
They don't. They don't drive.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
Fast, they don't stay out late, they don't, they don't.
They just don't put themselves in harm's way. And thank
God for that. You know, they're raised by strong woman.
I feel like I got a pretty cool presence on them.
But I just feel like I'm directly responsible for how
my son handles himself and what happens with what he does,

(08:13):
because I have to be that ultimate example to him.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
And just in my mind, my heart just dropped because.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
It's like you just don't know, you know, it's a
Friday night that is it's post fourth of July or
was it the fourth of July was Thursday?

Speaker 2 (08:30):
I believe was it Thursday, that it was.

Speaker 5 (08:32):
Thursday, So you figure in fourth of July weekend and
everybody's probably having a good time. I don't know what
the details, as we mentioned are concerning it. I just
know that it's just one of those weekends. You just
got drafted, You're feeling good, you know, life is good.
You with your teammates, your old teammates, y'all, y'all having

(08:55):
a good time whatever that is.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
I don't even.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
It could have been the most responsible of responsible.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Times that they were having.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
I'm not insinuating that they were doing anything they weren't
supposed to be doing. Just for me to know that
that would be the information that would come my way,
I just don't even. I don't know how I would
with fathom knowing that one of my boys, you know,
passed away in a car accident.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Man, and I lived it like y'all.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
If y'all know me, y'all know, I wrecked a motorcycle
and almost had that information have to be taken to
my parents where I passed away in a motorcycle accident.
So it kind of hits hard with me when I
hear these types of conversations, cause I just hope, I
just hope and pray that they can find peace with it.

(09:45):
And I just hope and pray that it was just
one of those it was a freak accident.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Maybe I don't know, maybe.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
It was a deer, you know, maybe it was an
animal or some sort something that made it. You know,
it just happened. I just hope it wasn't anything that.
Like we sit there and you go, oh, man, like
I hate it. I hate for that. I hate that
that they were intoxicated, or I hate that there was
something that was bad or you know a lot of

(10:12):
us I like out. Man, I gotta admit, like I
even like street racing. I like street racing my cars.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
You fit in the car? Uh huh? You fit in
a car? Did I fit in the car?

Speaker 5 (10:26):
Yeah? Yeah, a race car. I mean I'm saying street racing.
You know my cars. You know, you know I'd be
out on that three oh one or on four ninety
five or you know, Loud County Highway and you see
one of your teammates I used, man.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
We used to strike that thing, you know.

Speaker 5 (10:43):
Yeah, yeah, we we used to, We used to touch that,
touch that pedal down, man, I used to we used
to go, you know. But I just I just hope
it wasn't one of those type of situations that played out.
And like I said, like we all said thoughts and
prayers to the families, all the families that were impacted
and affected by what took place.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Man, it's just super sad news. Man, super sad news.
Getting ready for training camp. You know, he was training,
just having fun with with your with the with your
boys that you grew up with. Obviously, it was early morning,
or some may say extremely late at night, but that's

(11:25):
a part of life. It's a part of growing up
where we're gonna stay out till two, three, four or
five in the morning. Man, the sun is coming up,
and like, oh man, we're gonna be sleeping all day
with this one, and that tragically happens.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Got it.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
It just really really really sucks, not not only for
his family, but there's some teammates that he's played with
because he started it, he started at Bama and then
finished at the organ that that are close to him
and we're close to him, they're going to be affected
by this. So and so yeah, man, it's prayers. It's

(12:05):
so so unfortunate. And this is why when people say, man,
life is so short, man, you have to really enjoy
the life that you're living.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
These are the reasons why. Amen.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
All right, Well, it was a somber first first segment,
but we're gonna we're gonna try to pick it up.
We're gonna try to regroup and and move forward. We're
gonna talk Josh Jacobs. He talks about Jordan Love. Is
he the next superstar? Josh seems to feel that way.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
What's up on Game Live from tyraq dot Com Studio,
SPLEXC burss TJ Huschmanzada. It's me LeVar Arrington. We're gonna
take you all the way up to eleven eight m
or in some cases that's two p m. I do
believe ten nine, ten eleven, yeah, something like that.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Uh yeah.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
So guys, there's the Josh Jacobs, you know, moving from
the Las Vegas Raiders to.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
The Green Bay Packers.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
He had some interesting things to say, and I gotta
tell you, I'm not so sure. I don't agree with
Josh Jacobs. Here's what he had to say.

Speaker 9 (14:37):
It's just so special when you got a guy like
Jordan Love back there, man, and you can't really just
load the box every play and you make defenses disard
you know, what they want to stop. I think that's
gonna be the biggest help for me this year.

Speaker 10 (14:48):
You know, it's the second time you've mentioned Jordan Love
and a guy like that back there. Give us your
impressions of Jordan Love from what you saw from him
in the spring. You've been around your Sheriff quarterbacks at
this point, seems like you're really impressed with you've seen
from Jordan Love.

Speaker 9 (15:01):
Yeah, man, I mean to me, I mean, just from
what I see, he has all the traits and all
the tools to be a superstar in this league. I
think that, you know, as he keeps continue to play
and get experience, and you know, grow confidence and more
and be become more confident in his abilities and what
he can do, He's gonna be the next superstar.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
In this league. For sure. Them is some big words
right there, man, And part of me.

Speaker 5 (15:26):
So the first thing I thought to myself, was like,
shade to to Vegas. They don't have a quarterback. That's
that's what the first they got thought. Josh Jacobs was
implying when when he said that, which is fine because
I don't know that they do have a quarterback even
now and in Vegas. That's that's gonna be an interesting
thing to see how that plays out between Minshew and

(15:48):
and who's the other quarterback again, Yeah, exactly, But what's
his ease?

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Starter? He was the starter last he O'Connell. O'Connell.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
Yeah, that's that's interesting there. But to watch the way
Jordan Love played and that was us today's sports, So
that that that that's where that came from. You the
quote from Josh Jacob. I look at at what Jordan
Love was able to do and and what he was

(16:20):
able to accomplish at the second part of the season.
It was lights out if you ask me, I mean
he was he was playing at a different level. The
game between the Dallas Cowboys and the playoffs, that was
next level with the way he diced them up. And
I was I was disappointed that they let Aaron Jones go.

(16:40):
I really was, because I thought that he was a
major part of all their success. But I think Josh
Jacobs is a very very well rounded back as well.
He's multi dimensional as well as most backs coming into
the league these days have to be. At this point,
I thought that that losing Aaron Jones, but to replace
him with a Josh Jacobs, I thought was a big

(17:01):
deal because for this offense, you got to have that
running back that is your safety valve, and the flares
and the flats and even just handing the ball off
on those uh those rerun read the past type of scenarios.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
So what are your guys' take on it? I like
Jordan Love.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
I think he's prime and set to have another big
year as well.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Well, you know, I like Jordan Love because when he
came out in the drafts, I was very high on him,
and obviously he hadn't played much because Aaron Rodgers and
I was getting a little fleck old TJ. You said
Jordan Love was gonna beat this. You said Jordan Love
was gonna be that. Well, look TJ was right again.

(17:46):
But no, no, no, no.

Speaker 7 (17:49):
No.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
When you look at Josh Jacobs, he played with Derek
Carr and a O'Connell. So now you're getting to huddle
and in practic this with Jordan Love, and he sees
a huge difference in the quarterbacks that he's played.

Speaker 7 (18:05):
With no disrespect to Car, Jordan Love.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Seems as if he's going to be a much better
player than Derek Carr. And look at the way Jordan
Love finished the season. I ate the playoffs. He played great.
When you play that way against the teams that they
played against, the Cowboys and the Niners, you know how

(18:32):
confident you are, you know how your game will raise
to another level because of that. So now he's gone
into this offseason not with doubts. He's going into this
offseason with the know it all of I know I
can do this, I know.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
I can get it done.

Speaker 7 (18:51):
I know I can take us where we need to be.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
So you prepare and you act completely different when you know,
as opposed to I'm uncertain. He knows at the highest
levels he can get it done for his team when
it matters. And now Josh Jacobs is just seeing that
confidence and Jordan up to make him say he can

(19:16):
be the next superstar. And I'm with him.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
Man, Listen, I've been I've been highering this guy ever
since the season ended. Last eight games of the season
twenty one eighteen touchdowns and eight games. So Matt Lafleur,
he's one of the luckiest coaches in the world because
he moves over Aaron Rodgers and he's getting Jordan Love,

(19:42):
who I am predicting the Green Bay Packers gonna win
the NFC North this week. Oh this year, I really do.
I think it's that I think he's that good of
a quarterback. We are watching the maturation of a great
quarterback making whid receiver's great. If youre talking about Jaden Reed,
Christian Washington, Romeo dobbs Man, those ain't household names now

(20:06):
forty y'all has thirty two touchdowns. We're talking about a
guy that started his first year quarterback and I believe
that the best thing that happened to him was being
able to sit behind Aaron Rodgers. And sometimes the sideline
Washington game is your best teacher. So he's had the

(20:28):
opportunity to watch a great quarterback ahead of him. And
I'm gonna say this, the Green Bay Packers and Jordan Love,
do not be surprised if he throws for close to
five thousand yards this year, because he's gonna be that good.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
I didn't like I didn't like to move with Aaron Jones.
But I think when you look at it, Josh Jacobs
provide them with a more down here running game. And
everybody knows in the upper northeast of the corner of
the country that you need a running game in Green
Bay come November in December, and Josh Jacobs is going

(21:11):
to give them that downhill running game that they are
going to need. But don't they don't mistake mistake this
guy because he is going to do great things this
year in Green Bay.

Speaker 5 (21:24):
I gotta say, and looking at it now, I ain't
gonna agree with you on on them winning the North.
I think I think Detroit is going to beat down
top to beating the North. That's that's what I think.
But I mean, that's that's saying. That's that's my take
on that. But yeah, you can take it. I'm taking that.
I'm gonna take that for that.

Speaker 4 (21:42):
But I'm gonna tell you this, the Detroit Lions have
fourteen dome.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
Games this year. That's a lot. That's all.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
It is, your entire season, that's the whole season, and
team like dome game.

Speaker 5 (21:56):
That's crazy, which means they're in good shape. They don't
have to worry about weather conditions. I mean, it is
what it is. And keep in mind, for green Bay
you mentioned Christian Watson. He wasn't even healthy for most
of the season last year, and he generally he was
supposed to end up being the main guy at the position.
They still did an amazing knockdown job. Jordan Love still

(22:20):
did a great job with the guys that were able
to play and were out there. So if you get
a healthy Christian Watson back, who's really like, in theory,
you're one, I would say, isn't he their one receiver? Listen, man,
when healthy that's their one? Is not they don't have
He's supposed to be right. But I'm gonna just put
y'all in on it. I don't know what Green Bay

(22:41):
does a good job of drafting guys that should be
drafted higher. I've never worked with Christian Watson, but I've
worked with Romeo Dibbs, a ton of man. When I
tell you, if y'all specifically plex if you've seen his
dude in person, he's big, he's fast, he's quick.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
It is crazy, every bit of six y two two
hundred and ten pounds foxfo and he can run routes.
He can beat you with speed. He can beat you
with quickness. It's almost crazy how good this dude is.
So oh they don't have a number one man. They
got so many receivers that can really play. It's crazy,

(23:28):
Like if Watson is supposed to be there one. I
want to see Watson in practice because I can't imagine
him being better than Romeo. Not I can't imagine it.
If he's better than Romeo as a bad boy dog,
I need to see him in person. There's no way
he's a better receiver than Romeo. And if he is,
this is why they always do a good job of
the Just go back to Brett Favre and then Aaron r.

(23:52):
They keep some receivers in Green Bay.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
They do well.

Speaker 5 (23:57):
We're gonna find out, and I'll tell you what, that's
not a bad Dilimita had to see which one is
better at being that guy between Dobbs and Watson. So
that'll play out Dallas, though, you know that's a different conversation.
And the latest news, well, Dak Prescott has a foot injury.

(24:17):
We're gonna talk about that, but first let's get some
trending from our guy Isaac lowenkron.

Speaker 6 (24:22):
Okay LeVar and I'm afraid we do have additional details
about our top story today. The tragic news out of
the NFL is Minnesota Vikings rookie cornerback Kyrie Jackson and
two others were killed in a car crash overnight in
Jackson's hometown of Upper Marlborough, Maryland. Jackson was twenty four

(24:43):
years old. The Vikings drafted him this past April in
the fourth round out of Oregon.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Now.

Speaker 6 (24:48):
Maryland State Police say the crash occurred on a northbound
section of Maryland Route four between Delwerhouse Road and Presidential Parkway.
There were three vehicles involved in the crash, and a
preliminary investigation found that the driver of a silver Infinity

(25:09):
attempted to change lanes while driving at a high rate
of speed when they struck a maroon Dodge Charger that
Jackson and former high school teammates Isaiah Hazel and Anthony
Litton j were in Lytton Junior were in with Jackson
in the front passenger seat. The Dodge Chargers subsequently traveled

(25:32):
off the right side of the roadway and struck multiple
tree stumps before coming to rest again. The three victims
were in a Dodge charger. The driver of a Silver
Infinity had attempted to change lanes while driving at a
high rate of speed and then they struck the Dodge
charger that Jackson and his two high school teammates were in.

(25:56):
Investigators believe alcohol may have been a can contributing circumstance
in the crash, and potential charges are pending in regards
to the driver of the Silver Infinity. So those are
the details in the crash that killed Kyrie Jackson and

(26:16):
two others overnight in Upper Marlborough, Maryland.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (26:22):
And one other sports detail to pass along right now.
In soccer the quarterfinal round of Euro twenty twenty four
England and Switzerland scoreless there in the thirty third minute.
But those the latest details according to Maryland State Police
about the tragedy that occurred overnight.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
Back to you guys, thanks, I love that.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
I love Can I ask you a question, Yeah, sure,
sure the person that was driving to Infinity to anything
happen to him?

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Nope?

Speaker 6 (26:49):
So there were there were They were all told three
vehicles that were involved in the accident. So the Silver
Infinity struck the Dodge charger in which the three victims
were in. The Dodge Charger then hit a Chevy Impala.
There was one person in the Impala. That person was

(27:11):
uninjured in the crash. The Silver Infinity which initiated all
of this, according to the report, it had the driver
and two other passengers and no one was injured in
that vehicle, the vehicle that, according to Maryland State Police,
basically initiated this tragedy.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
Yeah, wow, you just started an accident.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
And I wonder if they were familiar.

Speaker 5 (27:35):
I wonder if they were familiar, Like did the people
in that Infinity know the people and the charger or
was that a random Was that a random act like
they didn't know they were getting over or whatever?

Speaker 2 (27:47):
Are you are? We are we.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
Anticipating that the possible alcohol involved was with the driver
that cut them off, or is that connected to the
people that were in the car as well?

Speaker 6 (27:59):
I loo the indication is that it was a contributing circumstance.
And the fact that they say charges are pending the investigation.
They did not specify who they believed was the intoxicated individual.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
So they know who was driving, They know who was
driving the okay.

Speaker 6 (28:20):
Correct, and they confirmed that that person was attempting to
change lanes at a high rate of speed.

Speaker 5 (28:26):
Okay, all right, man, all right, all right man. Sometimes
it's just hard how do we even transition? But we
we got to transition. Let's let's transition into the next topic.
Is unless y'all want to continue to talk about do
y'all want to keep talking about I don't want to
be insensitive to it. If y'all want to keep going

(28:48):
on it, we can keep going. Otherwise we can move
on to Now We're fine. I mean, obviously throughout the
day more information will come out. You don't want to
continue to speculate on what is this and what is
that when we really don't have any concrete proof of it.
All right, well, we do have concrete proof that Dak
Prescott is no longer in his walking boot.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Should there be any cause for concern?

Speaker 5 (29:14):
I mean, they said it was a minor right foot
sprain and that it just temporarily required him to have
a walking boot on. That's what sources from ESPN Todd
Archer reported. But be clear, we do know that Dak
Prescott has dealt with major injuries, and one more particular

(29:38):
and specific was the horrific injury that he you know,
he sustained that was a season ending injury to his
ankle and foot. Is there cause for concern knowing that
he had a sprain in the foot and that he
was in a walking boot heading into training camp? And guys,

(29:59):
how does that play apart in and just the idea
and the approach of what's next for Dak Prescott? Is
it too premature to even answer that or how should
we be looking at this in terms of him wanting
a contract and knowing that there are ultimately other guys
that are big name guys that are looking for contracts

(30:19):
as well.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
Number One with the walking boot, when when you.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Hear what was said, it was, you know, when I
fracture my ankle, this is basically a maintenance thing. If
I'm going to be walking a ton, put the boot
on so it doesn't swellow up. I don't see any
big deal in that contract situation. Dak is in a
great position, but is he really? Because if I'm the

(30:46):
Dallas Cowboys, I'm not signing Dak Prescott toWin extension.

Speaker 7 (30:49):
I'm not.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
I'm not like why You've had year after year to
prove you can take us where you want to go
where we want to go, and that is yet to happen.
And now I'm gonna pay you sixty million a year.
Absolutely not. I'm not doing it because we will will
have a good season, we'll be talked about, and then

(31:12):
we're gonna lose in the playoffs.

Speaker 7 (31:14):
I'm not doing it.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Not win.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
My best player, Michael Parsons doesn't have a contract, my
second best player, Ceedee Lamb doesn't have a contract, my
third best player, which is Dak Prescott. Now, if you
will take a lot less than what I believe you want,
then yeah we can. We can work something out. But
I'm not giving you a dollar over, say fifty three

(31:40):
million a year.

Speaker 7 (31:40):
I'm not.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
I think fifty three million a year is a bit much,
but I'd be willing to do that. So with Dak,
he's gonna have to play better in the playoffs. You
can have these great performances in a regular season and
then because I believe the Cowboy team of last season

(32:04):
was probably the best that they've had. And speaking of
Geordie Left, they spanked him the Packers and George Loft
spanked them. It wasn't even a game. They made it
luck a little closer than what it was. But it
wasn't a game. They got spanked.

Speaker 4 (32:20):
M Uh, you know, I'm sitting looking at the whole
Dallas Cowboys situation. I really believe that the Cowboys, Jared
Jones and this son man, they are taking a stance.

Speaker 7 (32:30):
Of Super Bowl of bus.

Speaker 4 (32:35):
I really believe that being that you go into the
off season, you don't add any free agency to the scene,
you don't spend any money, You don't accommodate the man
Ceedee Lamb versus what he has earned and what he
has deserved to be paid. The reason that you're not

(32:57):
paying him. Nobody understands that, because even if you don't
have a future with Dak Prescott has been your franchise quarterback,
you still need somebody to throw the ball to. I
have no idea what their plans are with Trey Lance. Uh,
what's a Tyron Smith is no longer your left tackle.
Frederick just retired as his eighth ninth yen the season.

(33:21):
You have a rookie left tackle, you have a rookie center.
You have a quarterback that you don't don't know what
you're gonna do with as far as from a future standpoint,
from a contract, you have Michael Pater's coming up, and
you still haveing stigned Ceedee Lamb. So I don't know
what the Dallas Cowboys are doing, but it leads me
to believe that they are all in. Just at this

(33:45):
point they're gonna put They're gonna put basically the same
football team on the field this year and say, you
know what, if we don't get it done this year,
there's gonna be a mass overhaul of this roster. So
if you don't want to pay CD Lamb what he's worth,
you could have paid him in for justin Jefferson got
sign he didn't do that. This man is arguably the

(34:08):
best wide receivering on football. Why don't you Why don't
you want to compensate this man? We don't know. You
need some justification because of that, they haven't paid him
that if you don't bring him back next year, he's
fifty four million dollars against the cap. Michael pass is
coming up from a full contract. So I have no

(34:29):
idea what they're doing down there in Dallas, but they're
all going to run themselves in a real situation after
this season, because I'm going to go on the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
Who does who thinks they going I don't think they're
going to get nobody.

Speaker 7 (34:45):
Nobody, but I don't think they're going to get it done.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
You got Michaeh, you got Dak and you you don't
even want to pay this guy, see the lamb. So
all roles are telling me that Jared Jones has push
all his chips into the middle of the table and
the super Bowl or bus if not everybody's leaving Dallas.

Speaker 5 (35:07):
Dang, that's what it seemed to sound like, if they
don't give no contracts to at least ce d Lambing and.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
Come on, dog, I seventeen of us.

Speaker 5 (35:16):
Yeah, it doesn't make That doesn't seem to make sense
unless you're approaching it from that type of mentality that
you just said, Plexico.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
And I guess what we're going to see.

Speaker 5 (35:27):
But it just seems like so much drama heading into
this this season with Dallas. So I don't know, man
walking boots, contract negotiations, all kinds of stuff, missing players,
new players.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Hooker, Michael Pawson.

Speaker 4 (35:41):
They gonna have to iron out out when they see
each other in the locker room and training camp because
that has to be addressed because ain't no grown Meg
gonna walk by me and not come out of his
face and say what he gotta say, and.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
We not handle it as many later.

Speaker 7 (35:57):
Absolutely, ma Lee Cooker gotta go, he gotta go.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
That might have been the dumbest be so furnishing moving
around there. It might be, and we're gonna move.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
Hey, play with some people that put hands on you
to locker room straight up, that's what they'll do.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
That's DJ Hoodsman's out of us Plexico Burds.

Speaker 5 (36:18):
I'm LeVar Arrington. This is Up on Game. We'll take
a quick break. We'd be back on the other side
of the break. Somebody's ready to run through a wall
for Baker Mayfield. We'll talk about that next Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (36:51):
Just search up on Game wherever it is you get
your podcasts, and you'll see this show posted shortly after
we get off the air. All right, fellas, before we
end this hour. It's tough hour, but we got through it.
This is what Bucks defensive tackle Elijah CANTSI had to
say about Baker Mayfield. Curious about what your guys take

(37:13):
on it is here we go.

Speaker 11 (37:14):
Baker is a guy who you want to run through
a wall or he's a guy that's going to leave
it out on the line. He's very competitive, He's a
great guy overall, helped out in the community. He's willing
to give his lives to anyone on the team or
anyone in general. He's just he's just a baller. He's
a dog.

Speaker 5 (37:35):
Now, fellas, I know we got a little bit of time,
but these are all the things I heard about him
in Cleveland. I heard he was that type of guy.
The people, you know, the players, his teammates, a lot
of them like them. Now I did hear there were
some conflicting feelings about him from teammates as well, But
for the most part, this is what I've heard about

(37:55):
Baker Mayfield. Do you think this is a big year
for Tampa Bay? In a big year for Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
When your teammates feel this s way about you, we
know they gonna go above and beyond and their preparation
and their play. Baker Mayfield has always been that player
because he was the first pick.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Oh, he's rubbing people the wrong way.

Speaker 3 (38:20):
His personality is such where when things are going good,
everybody loves him. When things are going bad, as oh man,
his personality is this is that he's easy to hate. Yeah,
and so it seems as if when the teams he's on,
when they're having success, everything is great, and when they're not,

(38:41):
it's like, oh yeah, you know, this personality is kind
of just wearing people out and it's rubbing us the
wrong way. I'm happy for Baker that he's finally found
a team that basically is seeing things from the same
lens that he's seeing it from.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
He can be himself.

Speaker 3 (38:59):
He was awarded with that contract extension, and so it's
good for Baker Mayfield, it's good for National Football League.
And let's see if the Bucks can continue to improve
that that's that's the key. If they can continue to improve.
They got Mike Evans, he has Chris Godwin, the football
say that again.

Speaker 4 (39:18):
Where's division in football? Nine and eight A playoffs? You
might be what you gotta do? How you feeling how
do I feel about it? You know, you have Mike
Evans out there, Hall of Fame wide receiver. I believe
Mike is approaching his tenth or eleventh straight thousand yard

(39:41):
season as a wide receiver in this league. I don't
think it's ever been done before. I think Calvin had ten.
I think Mike Evans on his way towards eleventh. But
you know, looking at Baker, and you know everything that
he's been able to accomplish.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
If you put these two.

Speaker 4 (40:00):
Guys side by side, statistically since they ended the NFL,
they are a carbon copy of each other.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
One is Baker Mayfield. Who is the other guy?

Speaker 4 (40:16):
Gardner Minshew, No way, they have the same exact stats
as being quarterbacks in the NFL. Guard to Minshew, we
all know him because of you know, he just goes
out and wins football games. Baker Mayfield, I don't know
why he had all these progressive commercials, but they had

(40:38):
him on. Now he's the first pick in the NFL draft.
But if you put him beside each other, so y'all
same exact quarterback. They won't make the playoffs this year
because they're going to have to win ten plus games.
Because I believe the Atlanta Falcons are going to a
winner division this year because you bring in Kirk Cousins Pitts.

(41:03):
I think Bjon Robinson is the most dynamic ball carrying
all of football, so he's going to explode this year.
So outside of that, the Falcons win the division.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
Falcons. All right, Well, we got a lot to get to.
Hour two coming at you. Fox Sports Radio up on
