Obviously, the coaching changes that have taken place at the
college level.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Michael Parsons had some interesting.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
We'll call feetback for the ref's emphasis on the offense
side of the ball. We got a lot to get
to fellas you know, before we get going, we always
had to have the conversation.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
You know how y'all doing.
Speaker 6 (01:39):
Man, You already know how it is out here if
you out here, clear skies, palm trees. Man, here we
are mid October. Man, it feels and look like it's June.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
Love it. How about your weather where you're at plex Koberg.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
You know what that's with you? Man, it's not too
bad today. Were up in the city in that area,
you know. Uh, son's out whether it's nice or nice,
you know, kind of cool fall morning. So Man football
is on television, and hey man, it's a beautiful Saturday.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Okay, all right.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
I'm here in Eugene, Oregon, checking out my daughter and
this organ Dutch volleyball women's volleyball team. They had Minnesota yesterday. Uh,
they'll have Penn State today. So I'm here in Eugene.
You know, one of the beauties of having kids that
you coached in high school, uh, is that when you're
(02:36):
in need I needed a place to broadcast from today
And shouts out to one of my baby solo Davis
for allowing me to use his pad to plug in
and make his his living room UH into our our
up on games studio today for me. So appreciate him.
Good luck to him today, Good luck to everybody out there.
(02:58):
And speaking of Penn State playing Oregon and women's volleyball
UH this past week weekend last last obviously, UH, there
was a move made to remove James Franklin after a
three game losing streak. There have been tons of speculation
out there as to who could be the next guy.
(03:20):
Kirk Signetti's name has come up quite a bit, and
then Indiana jumps in there, steps up and gives him
a nice deal that would seemingly lock him in for
the duration of a very long time. Just you know, guys,
how do you how did you take in How how
(03:40):
do you feel about the firing of James Franklin? What
was y'alls initial reactions and what are how are you
feeling about it now?
Speaker 6 (03:51):
Well, first of all, you never want to see anybody
lose their job, because when he loses his job, that
means a lot of coaches on his staff are probably
lose their job. And so that's a lot of wives
and children that get uprooted and now they got to
figure out what's next.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
You get the bigger buyouts like maybe your coordinators, but
like the rest of them guys, there is no buyout
because there ain't that.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
It ain't as much.
Speaker 6 (04:16):
Any James Franklin gets fired with a man, we love
you so much, we're gonna give you fifty million. Everybody
else get it. How you live and that's pretty much
how it is. That's on the personal side. You you
empathize with every single one of them that are going
through it, including James Franklin, even though you know he
can lay down with a smile on his face knowing
(04:38):
what they own. But from a football perspective, what did
I say last week? I said on here, if James
Franklin loses to Northwestern, they're gonna fire them. I said
that last week on this show, and they should. There's
no way Penn State Nitney Lyons should lose a football
(04:58):
game to the Northwestern Wide There's no way. There's no way.
You have better players at every position. So the only
way you would lose is if you get out coached
and or your team is not prepared. There's just no
way Penn State should lose in Northwestern When, when, if,
and when James Franklin gets another opportunity, he needs to
(05:22):
go away from this two yards and a cloud of
dust offense. He needs to He plays a freight like offensively.
Penn State plays a scary I'm scared to lose brand
of offense. They have dudes. Why are you recruiting dudes
on offense? And then you go out and play like
(05:43):
you have nothing on offense? That to me is the
biggest problem. You Aller was a potential first round pick
and the way they were playing on offense, he will
probably would barely get drafted geez. And so to me,
you gotta self reflect. Whether it's James Franklin, the Office
of Coordinating, even if it was Offensive cordnor James Fring
you got to step in and say, man, we got
(06:04):
to open this thing up because you got to do
to do it. And so, like I said, I empathize
with him. But from a football perspective, when you are
Penn State and many thought you were one of the
top three teams in the country preseason, you cannot lose
to the north Western Wildcats.
Speaker 5 (06:25):
Man, it's just so much to unravel, uh, you know,
over the past week with him, and you know, I
get it, I understand. I think we all understand that.
You know, it's a it's a what have you done
late lately for me, you know kind of job, especially
at Penn State, where basically football is royalty. And I
don't I don't believe that him moving the north Western
(06:49):
was warranting of a firing, even though they had lost
three State used to three straight. You start off the
season that preseason number two, which you know I said
in the beginning of year, I thought the ranking was
who high for them? And here they are losing, you know,
three in a row. I don't agree with the firing
because it seems like everything they're highlighting about his career
(07:11):
is about everything that he did not accomplish. And that's
not right, that's not fair. You look at what this
man did. Man, he was win the Big Ten championship
in twenty sixteen, able to get the five or six
straight New Year Bowl games, especially man going into you know,
University Park, Happy Valley, wherever, whatever you want to call it.
With everything that was going on at that school, and
(07:33):
bring that program, break the prominence. That's what I know
about James f because obviously, you know, I'm right down
the street, two hours away, so I get a first hand,
you know, look at you know, to be able to
see what he did and turning that that program around
with everything that was happening. But you know, moving forward,
(07:54):
you're looking at this schedule. They go to Iowa today,
that's not gonna i It was always a tough place
to win. You go to Ohio State and then you
got Indiana. You might lose another three straights. So what
are you going to say?
Speaker 4 (08:05):
Now?
Speaker 5 (08:05):
You can't blame it on him, So I believe that
they should have kept him throughout the season.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
He just went on television and.
Speaker 5 (08:14):
Told the world how he got fired, as Patrick Kraff
just walked by him and said, we're going to be
making some changes. And obviously he was in shock. He
had no idea that it was going to be him
and it happened. But the one thing about it all
that I'm really just purely disgusted about is the way
(08:34):
Patrick Craft went on television. Man try to sassinate this
man's character. That's what I don't like about it. The
man has a family, He has a daughter, and Patrick Craft,
you're gonna get on the TV, behind the podium or
whatever the case may be in say you're going to
bring a coature in the Penn State with integrity, toughness, accountability,
and humility.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Are you kidding me? Integrity?
Speaker 5 (09:00):
Man, James Franklin has went into that program man and
done everything that you could do, accept you know, win
a national championship. But the part about the humility part
of it. I've met him once in my life and
you can just tell by the way a person carries
themselves and about the way how the way they speak,
that that humility runs all through them. And a part
(09:23):
of humility is being able to get up there after
the game and take responsibility for not winning.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
And another part of.
Speaker 5 (09:32):
Humility is being able to get there after the game
when you have a success in your winning and not
taking the credit.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
So when you talk about a character of.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
A person and a man as an athletic directed the
way Patrick Kraft went on that stage and said, toughness, accountability, integrity,
and humility, that's what you bring into Penn State. The
last time I checked, that's what James Franklin stood for.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
To me, wait, can I can I interrupt you? Please? Plexico?
Speaker 6 (10:05):
Did you did you just did you just say you
feel like he should have kept his job?
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Absolutely? Absolutely, Plexico. At least give him to the end
of the season.
Speaker 6 (10:15):
Plexico. This is a results based business. This is a
That's what I just said to you, j But I
know that. But so how should you keep your job
when you're not giving results? You not getting the results?
Speaker 4 (10:30):
I'm gonna jump in. I have a little bit of
a I guess I got. I won't say a real perspective,
but I'll say a perspective where I'm on the sideline
I've been. I've been on the sideline pretty much for
every game for quite some time. I've gotten to know
James Franklin during his time there, and I'm a big
(10:51):
fan of Coach Franklin as a person as as a coach.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
I'm a fan of them.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
And what he brought to our school when our school
was on the blink, like it was on the brink
of I mean, it was almost as bad as the
death penalty with everything that took place with Penn State.
I've also gotten an opportunity to really get to know
our ad pac Craft as well. And let me just
(11:20):
first say, to the outside perception of it, I could
one hundred percent understand how you would interpret it that way.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Plex But I'll be the first one to tell you if.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
You ever met Pat Craft, you'd be a fan of
him as a person. He is a guy that has great,
great integrity and has great intentions.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
And when he said the things.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
That he said at the press conference, I do not
believe those we were attacks on James Franklin. Those were
things that he's basically saying, those have to be the
qualities that we're bringing to this, to this organization.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
To how is it not an attack on him? Though,
I'm gonna tell you how.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
I'm gonna tell you how because the standard that has
been built at Penn State, the values that that Penn
State stand on.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
Wile while there could.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
Be conversations and I've seen this from from detractors out
there too, saying that education wasn't brought up in the conversation,
which that's a given, it should be considered a given
that these guys are still athletes that are student student athletes,
however you want to put it, but that's what's existed.
So I think he was stating the obvious. I saw
(12:32):
the presser. I think he was stating the obvious of
what he wants to bring in if we're really addressing
the move, I think the move comes from there was
a collective sense that James Franklin was getting worn down, bro.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Like it was.
Speaker 4 (12:52):
It was wearing on him, and I think he wanted
to finish out. I mean, by seeing what he said
this morning, he definitely probably wanted to finish out and
and try to see where the season went.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
But so what was wearing on him?
Speaker 7 (13:06):
Because I don't know, yeah, yes, oh yeah, and the
way you were losing, you know, the way you're losing,
Like I have listen, Like I said, I have the
utmost respect for for coach Franklin.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
Are you going to fall under intense scrutiny when you
come in as the number one rated team in the country,
number one rated, and then you start like, okay, it
was it's a debatable game one way or the other.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
For the Organ game.
Speaker 4 (13:39):
Nobody's gonna eat anybody's lunch for how they lost the
Organ game. And people will cite that at one point
they came back and were up in overtime and they
ended up losing. But then you go to u C.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
L A.
Speaker 4 (13:55):
And you lose against a team that didn't even have
their coach for more than two weeks, something to that effect.
You know, never called, never called a game with headphones on.
Everybody knows the story by now with new heisl and
you lose to them and not one. To me, being
on the sideline for that game fellas, it just felt
(14:18):
different the way them kids walked off the dudes, the
way they walked off the field, the looks, the feelings
like it just looked like it was a playoff game
that was lost and the season was over, Like it
was over. Turn your equipment in, have your your departing,
uh interviews, seasons over like That's that's what the energy
(14:41):
felt like. And then it carried over into the next game.
So if I'm if I'm looking at it from a
critical standpoint, did it look as though maybe the locker
room had been lost, Maybe maybe there needed to be
a chain based upon the you know, the body language,
(15:04):
the energy, the lack thereof where.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
It was going.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
I mean, it's not for me to make that decision,
Plex and TJ. But what I will say is I'm
not I'm not going to say he was trying to
assassinate James Franklin's character because I know for a fact
he has the utmost respect for James Franklin and what
James Franklin has brought to the table for for Penn State.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
I just think that he's.
Speaker 4 (15:29):
An aggressive, brash, forward thinking type of guy, and he
wants a national championship, and in his mind, he's not
going to wait beyond a loss to UCLA in Northwestern
to start the process of trying to identify a coach
that he believes can take take Penn State to a
(15:50):
national title. That's what I think the core root of
it is. I would stand on that, and because I've
had the conversations with him and that's what I've gotten
from him. But it was a great run for coach Franklin,
and I don't think he has anything that he should
hang his head about, like could have won more games
(16:10):
against bigger teams and higher ranked teams. Of course he
could have. But I think all in all, it's sad
at a moment as it is. Again, he said it
himself on the show today. It's not about it being
fear in terms of should he have gotten fired or
should he have stayed. I think it just comes down
to what you said, TJ. It's a results driven business
(16:33):
and at the end of the day, it's still about business.
It's business, and you can't take personal into business because
personal always messes up sound business decisions. I just I
believe that to be true. I've seen it, I've experienced it.
Maybe people may have a different opinion on it, but
that's my take on it. And I wish Coach Franklin
(16:56):
the best. I feel for his family. I mean his
kids were like pretty young, you know. They they what
they know in life is is State College, PA. And
so for that to be taken away from them. You know,
He's got a wonderful, wonderful wife, wonderful, wonderful family, and
you hate to have a change like that take place.
But you also know, I think we would all agree
(17:19):
that when you sign up for the coaching profession, I mean,
our boyap he got the acts. I mean, you want
to talk about unquestionably unfair as to the position and
the situation you've been placed in and then judged on it.
I mean, Antonio Pears probably got one of the rows
deals that you could get getting ahead coaching job and
(17:40):
have an opportunity to try to build something, so it's it.
I just can't look at it from the standpoint of
letting my personal feelings and my emotions be the reason
why I say it's unfair or shouldn't have happened, or
you know, come up with some type of a conclusion
that is, you know, in favor of coach Franklin. And
(18:01):
while I love him as a man and respect him
as a man and appreciate all that he's dead, I
don't have a problem with what Pat Craft did. From
the business side of it and from the Penn Station
side of it, I think he wants to win the
big games. I think he wants to win a national title.
I mean, what more can you ask for. You gotta
(18:22):
win him, You gotta win.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
You can't.
Speaker 6 (18:25):
You can't just constantly lose against the teams when it's
fifty to fifty games, and then when you play Northwestern,
no disrespect to Northwestern, you lost to them after losing
the UCLA who couldn't win a game, who fired their coach, who.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
Was who ever led a game all season? Ever lad
a game?
Speaker 6 (18:45):
Like at some point, at some point, when you have
everything on your side and you continue to lose, that's
a problem. Your favorite body twenty plus points in your
losing games. You're favorite by twenty plus points in your
losing games. Other culchues that have been fired long ago.
(19:05):
They had a long lease with James Franklin. Other coaches
would have been fired longer. You got transfer receivers coming in,
you don't use them. You might as well play with
three tight ends, three running backs in like, what are
you doing Nebraska with Tom Osborn?
Speaker 3 (19:17):
Go play that way, nikes?
Speaker 4 (19:20):
All right, Well, listen, we that was obviously for me,
that was a personal segment. And I mean it's interesting
when news is being discussed and we have to have
opinions about things and it falls directly, you know, in
your personal your personal life, Like this is personal to me.
Everybody knows how much I love Penn State and I
(19:41):
love my community. That served my community, So this is
I knew this would be an interesting conversation for us
on this show. I've had to do it during Doring
two Pros and Cup of Joe during the week, but
I knew this one would be pretty interesting having it
with you and TJ and Plex. So it's interesting to
have the conversation. Like I said, I wish the best
(20:01):
for coach Franklin, and I ultimately wish the best for
Penn State.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
I want the best for Penn State.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
Clearly my son is at Penn State, so exact profess
outside of just being an alumni and a letterman when
I say I believe in Penn State. My daughter cheers
for Penn State, and my son plays for Penn State, which,
by the way, I think he's getting on the field today.
Possibly potentially we'll see, but interestingly enough, we'll see what
happens there. But I wish the best of everybody that's involved.
(20:30):
You never like for a situation to play out like
this the way that I did, but nonetheless, it does happen,
so it is what it is. Michael Parsons, he's a
Penn State or too. He had some interesting things to
say about what these referees got going on. I tend
to agree with them. These refesers running a muck and
they always had been. For these soft ass offensive football
players that play in this game. I ain't gonna call
(20:53):
out no names, but hey, we're gonna talk about that.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
We got a lot to get to. This is up
on game as TJ.
Speaker 4 (20:58):

us know whose takes you like and even whose takes
you don't like. Just search Fox Sports Radio on YouTube
and subscribe Fellas. You know, I tend to think that
it's a pretty interesting conversation that you always have to
have when you bring up the referees and how the
(23:42):
referees play a part. Duke just turned this thing over
and Georgia Tech just ran it back for a touchdown
in a zero zero game. College football is amazing. Football
is amazing.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
I doubt a referee will call this one back in
favor of the offense to try to bail the offense out.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
But with that being said, Fellas, some people take notice
of it, and I guess don't have a problem making
a comment about it. Michael Parsons had this to say
about referees and how they're doing things.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Take a listen.
Speaker 9 (24:15):
We put so much emphasis on protecting the offense, like
protect the defense. Like a guy could be trying to
catch the ball and you make a defensive play so
he doesn't catch it, and it's targeting.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
It's a flag now.
Speaker 9 (24:28):
But a defensive end could be rushing and engaged with
another player and a guy could come blow his ribs
out and we're not considered defenseless.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
But like we said, it's offensive league.
Speaker 9 (24:37):
Like I think a lot of the rules are and
you're going to say it's about protecting the players and
protect all players, don't just protect one side of the ball.
And like people want to encourage like that's not good football,
Like that's not say football if that's what they want
to preach, Like what are we talking about here? Like
and look how many times that's on film, guys putting
their head down and trying to come clean your clock,
(24:57):
But you can't do that to offensive players. Get a
city thousand on the fine. I might get a fine
for this concept.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
I don't disagree with in one bit. How do you guys?
How do y'all see it? Oh?
Speaker 4 (25:10):
I figure you wouldn't disagree with anyone, So I'm not
going to disagree.
Speaker 6 (25:14):
But I will say this, he stated some truth in there.
He he did there? There is it a double standard.
Speaker 5 (25:24):
Amaze, Yeah, from even from y'all as y'all get liberties
and y'all get protections and y'all get immunity from from
players get protections offsome. Yeah, I will say quarterbacks is
way different than even y'all. Like the receivers. Obviously when
(25:46):
we have Plaux was playing, you were able to grab
us and hit us.
Speaker 6 (25:51):
I mean I remember being backside on a slant body
and come to me and Roy Williams for the Cowboys
almost knocked my head off my shoulders and I was like, whoa.
I mean he would get suspended for that hit now,
because I was. But I will say this, he made
a point when he said, because I really thought about that,
(26:13):
like when he's rushing the passer and then a running
back just comes chips him in his rib You talking
about the defenseless. That's as defenses if you can get
because those are broken ribs at times because they really
hitting you with their lboard their shoulder right on their ribs.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
And so I get it.
Speaker 6 (26:31):
But he also was right, nobody wants to see a
ten to seven game the defensive ends like Michael Parker.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
I want to see a ten to seven gang. Nobody
does the defensive ends like Michael Parsons. I say it
in the mirror every day, Lamar. He wants somebody seven.
You got that, right, I want to.
Speaker 6 (26:55):
Say, especially have said that's that Penn State mindset. That's crazy.
Speaker 5 (27:01):
Look at you, all right, that's a good one. That's
a good pool. But I will say this, he made
some points. But at the end of the day, they
want to keep the quarterbacks up right. I just would say.
Speaker 6 (27:18):
I touched Patrick mahomes helmet and I touched Josh Allen's helmet,
and it's a penalty because it always is. If you
go to deflect the ball with your hand and you
touch their helmet, it's a personal foul. Make that a
personal foul for everybody. Make it a personal foul for everybody.
Don't don't pick and choose when the helmet is touched.
(27:39):
Who that personal foul it is called for. That to
me is the thing that is not consistent in the league.
Certain guys, you barely touch them, it's a penalty. Other
guys it's a that's Michael Parsons is absolutely correct.
Speaker 5 (27:56):
But arms, and you know they make highlight reels and
praise and these guys doing Look at the way Josh
Allen just shrugs off that defender and he's stiff arming
the hell out of the day.
Speaker 6 (28:12):
This is the biggest thing is when Pat Mahomes or
these quarterbacks is running down the.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Sideline, act like they're about to go out of bounce.
Speaker 6 (28:18):
And then they don't get another ten, twelve, fifteen yards.
But then if you hit them just as they start
to step out because they realize they're gonna get hit.
Now it's a personal foul. But again, we want to
see thirty five to twenty eight games. We don't want
to see No. Ten seven Nitney Lion type games.
Speaker 4 (28:40):
Huh So basically, so basically what you're doing is is
that you're admitting that defensive players are better than offensive
players and y'all need the help and support of a
governing body to make sure that y'all get the results
that y'all are seeking on offense that way.
Speaker 3 (28:57):
I mean, are you with that pleux like where you
go and I'm not.
Speaker 5 (29:02):
Hey, I'm not that because you said, because you said,
y'all that's y'all.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
I don't plan this, this this era of football.
Speaker 5 (29:11):
So I have to agree with exactly what Michael Parters
is saying because just like you said, all the protection
is on one side of the football, he's actually and
he's absolutely correct. I don't really think people understand what
a real chip block uh feels like or what it
can be a separated shoulder like you said, broken Rich.
(29:33):
I think the people at home that don't really understand
it what it what it really is. I mean, I've
seen guys like come off their feet, broken ribs, separated shoulder,
broken collar bones, whatever the case may be. But I
really think that with him coming out and being honest
with it, honest about it, I think some changes will
(29:56):
be made because he's exactly he's exactly correct. Oh, it's
gonna be a change made. Yeah, it's gonna be want
to change right now, But I think after after this year,
they're gonna be some changes made within that role. It's
gonna be So it's gonna be an update on on
his bank account getting taxed or not his bank account,
but that check that would be going into that bank
(30:18):
account gonna be a little bit lighter with what he
had to say.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
You can't talk, Yeah, you can't. What are you saying?
The intro you can't don't poke the bear man that
probably was, he'll be twenty five thousand short, he'll be
twenty five thousand.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
They gonna get him. They definitely gonna get him. In
speaking of the Bridge, it's like everything with the league
like like they have to be politically correct.
Speaker 5 (30:44):
Yeah, oh yeah, it's like they can't be wrong, and
when they're dead wrong, they still be taking money out
of these kids for them being honest, honest, and candid
about the league, this league that they're playing in. You
can't even question the rules or what's happening. What happened
(31:07):
in the game with the refees is they let.
Speaker 4 (31:11):
You do it behind closed doors because don't nobody hear it,
And they'll tell you how.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
Dare you come out and say this about us? And
they be dead long. Yeah, well it is what it is.
Speaker 4 (31:22):
I'll tell you what is dead wrong, Like you said,
getting hitting them ribs on them chip blocks.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
But what can make it better is by throwing some
original louis y had a hot sauce on them ribs.
That's right.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
It's the perfect balance of peppers, vinegar and salt. You
put on everything, wings, nachos, burgers. You can hit the
tailgate food up with that bold handcraft the flavor of
the original Louisiana hot sauce. That's Louisiana Hot. Buy you
some fellas, Carson Wentz, we got a few minutes. I
wanted to switch gears. Carson Wentz is getting to start
(31:55):
for the Vikings this Sunday against the Eagles. It's a
gut check game for Philly or not? Is this is
this a must win scenario for the Philadelphia Eagles with
the latest struggles that they've been having in their games.
Speaker 6 (32:12):
What's the take, hey, for the Eagles is somewhat of
a mini bye week, playing a Thursday night game, so
you can normally during the bye week, a real bye week,
you do some self scouting and figure out the Tennessee
is the things you like, you don't like, and you change,
(32:33):
and you add and you subtract. So will they have
done this because offensively they must perform better. They got
to be better. When you have aj Brown, Devonte Smith,
say Kwon Barkley Dallas guard.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
You should be you should be much better.
Speaker 6 (32:51):
On offense, they have one of when you base it
on a yards per game average, they're one of the
worst in the league averaging it. I believe it's like
two hundred and seventy five yards offense, one of the
worst in the league.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
And you have all this firepower on offense.
Speaker 6 (33:08):
And so it's up to Kevin Patulo that's the offensive
coordinate Eagles, to figure this out. They gotta figure this out,
and so to me a mini by week, do some
self scouting moving forward, this is what I expect and
this is what should happen. The first ten when we
go Saturday and night, I mean, plex, we know what
this is about. Saturday Night, you get that first ten
(33:29):
script it out, two to three plays in there for
AJ Brown gives them peace of mind, two to three
plays in there. For Devontae Smith gives them peace of mind,
three to four plays in there. For Saquan, we know
he getting it.
Speaker 5 (33:41):
Now.
Speaker 6 (33:41):
You going to the game feeling like, damn, my coaches,
they they really trying to get me involved. So even
if you only get one or two of those balls
come your way, you go into it feeling like they're
trying to get you involved.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
Yeah, just like you said, man, our first ten plays. Men,
when I was playing, it was always a deep ball
on me. It doesn't matter if you make the player
or not. You feel like you're involved in a game
plan moving forward. I just think for Philly, man, you
really got to go back and look at yourself to say,
what what is the reason while we're not having the
(34:17):
success that we had last year on offense, I think
you got to get back to running the football. Man.
With Saquan and obviously AJ Brown's not happy, man, you
got to find a way to keep him happy, to
keep get him going and I just think that this
game right here with Carson Wentz, it's a game that
they have to win, and I think they will. But
I think, yeah against the Vikings, moving down to yeah yeah,
(34:39):
yeah yeah, moving on and down to moving on down
the stretch. I think they'll get better, but I think
they need to go out and get this win tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (34:48):
I think it's pretty important, especially the way they've lost
to the Broncos and then to a division opponents in
the Giants, So it's going to be a much needed
bounce back game.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
I don't know how easy that's going to be. It
could be a tough one. I don't know. Is Jalen
Carter back for this game tomorrow?
Speaker 4 (35:04):
He should be, Yeah, I mean if he's bad, I mean,
they're just not the same team on defense when they
don't have him, uh you know, manning the middle of
that that defensive front. But we'll see how it all
plays out. And the cool thing about it is we
get to watch it and then we'll see how they
respond and what they do with it.
Speaker 5 (35:21):
But I'll tell you who does respond and who does
it amazingly every single time, with flawless execution. Yeah, fatality,
it's Isaac lohing kron and he's going to deliver an update,
a trending up news right now.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
What you got?
Speaker 1 (35:37):
I love.
Speaker 10 (35:37):
This is very unusual, LeVar. We actually have had some
fresh audio that was just anonymously emailed to us and
the subject was bad officiating in the NFL. It's an
audio file. I know we're not supposed to like download
stuff automatically, but I'll just I'll just play it.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Washington.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
Laar Arrington is pleading his.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
Pass defense number fifty. Hit the quarterback, hits him in
the chest.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
He didn't even come to that that year.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
I can understand why LeVar Arrington is upset about that.
Speaker 3 (36:19):
Oh my.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
It.
Speaker 10 (36:23):
You hardly hardly touched him.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
You could have put some hot sauce on that man's
ribs after that hit right there too. I mean ibliterated him.
I bliterated him, and I think I I think I
fractured his ribs.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
On that on that hit. Well, but I didn't.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
I did not hit him in the head. I hit
him in his ribs, fellas, which which proves my point.
Like all I did was lower my head and hit
him in the ribs.
Speaker 10 (36:49):
It was a love tap there you go. I wouldn't
have even knocked me down.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
It was that it would have knocked you down. I
wouldn't It would have knocked you down, and I don't
play that game. Don't play that game I love, And
you wouldn't have been able to breathe either.
Speaker 10 (37:04):
It's the thanks I get. Guys, I'm trying to defend
him and he turns on me.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
Yeah, I know, but I don't want to be defended
on how hard I hit.
Speaker 1 (37:11):
I hit hard, you did, but just not on that play.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
Now.
Speaker 10 (37:16):
Do you think that the Great Ed Hockey Ley received
a downgrade for that clearly misscall back in the Dame?
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Absolutely not? Okay, absolutely, all right, it's all good.
Speaker 10 (37:26):
Okay, Well, you know what, I respect that. I respect
that I respectfully disagree. I don't think it should have
been a penalty on We go to the college football scoreboard.
Number seventeen Vanderbilt up seven to three over tenth ranked
LSU one point fifty left to play in the first
quarter on a one yard touchdown run by the Commodore's
Diego Pavia. Number twelve, Georgia Tech has a seven to
(37:47):
nothing lead at Duke after one with a defensive touchdown.
Here's how it sounded on WCNN Castle the standing tail.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
Guess the call book comes out.
Speaker 11 (37:56):
It's loose Roland free spook up by the Jackets. Oh,
Mark Daniels the other way, toty five forty he's off

Speaker 3 (38:05):

Speaker 11 (38:06):

lead a goal line sand Omar Daniels with the stoop
and the store.
Speaker 10 (38:18):

Arbor are scoreless. They have four minutes left to play
in the first quarter. There, guys, back to you.
Speaker 5 (38:28):

the end of this hour. Got a quick couple of minutes.
(41:04):
Rashi Rice is back for the Kansas City Chiefs. I mean,
they finally got back on track, had an impressive win
in their last game. They seemed to have a ton
of firepower.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
What is this.
Speaker 5 (41:18):
Rejoining of the team and this edition mean for this
can c do you know what TJ Man? But just
go back to you know the beginning of the season.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
Huh.
Speaker 5 (41:25):
I said that Kansas City, even though they ten times
in the row the AFC West champions. This is why
I like Kansas City over the Chargers because the Chargers
let me know who they were when they came into
New Jersey and they lost versus the New York Giants.
So I'm gonna go with the Kansas City Chiefs because
I know that I know that pedigree. They've been there
(41:47):
before and when it comes down to it, just like
you saw last week, they knew that they had to
have that game and they go out and get it.
You put the battomb of fifteen hands and watch all
the magic happen around them. And now you get Rashid
Rice back. I think the office is going to be
even more explosive. That's why I said I'm going with
the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West.
Speaker 6 (42:07):
Brings another playmaker to the team. Obviously we know he's tough.
He gonna work the middle of the field, he gonna block,
he gonna run after the catch. Obviously it's gonna help him.
Speaking on what Plexico said, The Chiefs are all it's
never gonna be easy when.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
You have Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 6 (42:24):
But when you play a game and you get zero
penalties called a lots on your side and you just
try not to mess that up. The Chargers have an
entire offensive line that it's hurt. The Chiefs have a
very good football team. I look forward to seeing how
it's gonna turn out. But Rashid Rice coming back helps
the Chiefs out in a huge way.
Speaker 4 (42:42):
I think they got a ton of weapons and they're
gonna be dangerous. But I don't think that that mystique
that they've had in years past is still there. I
don't know who's an elite team and in the NFL
or dominant team in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
At this point, I'm gonna just wait and see how
it looks, see what the wall looks like.
Speaker 4 (42:59):
At everything gets done. This is up on Game Hour
two is coming at just Fox Sports Radio
