Hushman Zana.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
I'm just bringing the viewers into how grown men in
the locker room, like I don't play with some dude
that you disrespect them anyway, it didn't matter who.
Speaker 4 (00:26):
It was they was putting hands on you and Blaxico Burres,
they are the same person, the same exact quarterback.

Bowl champion blaxicoch Burres.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. Let's break the huddle, y'all.
Shit the field job. Let's get a win, y'all. Let's
make it happen. It's a lot going on. This is up.
One came. Oh my god, super excited. So many sports
going on right now, so much to be excited about.
(01:15):
And we're gonna talk about it here during the time
that we had. You wanna check us out, make sure
you go on the X check out Plexico Births at
Plexico birth at OOSH eighty four at LeVar Rington and
a Fox Sports Radio. As I mentioned, we got a
whole lot to get to. We'll talk Dolphins starting quarterback back.
(01:36):
How does that look? How does that sound? We're gonna
find out what that sounds like from TJ and plex.
We also gonna talk a whole lot of LA sports
in this first hour, so I'm sure TJ will be
excited about that. But it's a lot going on in
sports first and foremost before we get to all the
sports talk. How y'all doing, Man, how's everything going? Man?
Speaker 3 (02:01):
You know, feeling good? Freddy Freeman hit the Kraan Slam
last night?
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Man, Yeah, man, I'm feeling good, Man, clear Sky's a
palm treat his baby, yeah man.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
That beautiful day up on Northeast, Man, Northeast. Yeah, man,
you know my son. This team had they first lost
last night.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Many had a lost last night too.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
It was it was really ugly, man. The unforeseen circumstances,
no doubt, up three touchdowns at halftime, thirty five to fourteen,
and you get lazy, you get complacent, you don't continue to,
you know, do the things that got you the lead.
And when they get going undering the lead on a
(02:43):
hal Mary, we lose fifty two to fifty one.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Oh man, our game wasn't close like that. We just
got our asses checked. Speaking of speaking of kicking ass,
you know what, Tyrack, they're kicking ass there. We're broadcasting
live from the Tyrack dot Call studios. Tyrag dot com

Free road has their protection in over ten thousand recommended installers.
(03:09):
Tirag dot com the way tire buying should be. Speaking
of not being an ass kicking, but speaking of being
a game, the World Series kicked off yesterday. Everybody was excited.
Two big markets, two big franchises, storied franchises. You got
(03:29):
the New York Yankees and you got the Los Angeles Dodgers.
And let me tell you something. At man Man's game
last night and Layla, they were getting their asses kicked
as I just mentioned. And while a big play happens
for the other team at a home game on Senior
night and homecoming weekend. By the way, our crowd erupted,
(03:52):
and then the other sides crowd erupted. Now, I thought
the eruption was Benita having a good play. But why
were our fans going crazy and going nuts after a
big play from the opposing team. It is because the
Los Angeles Dodgers had just won on a walk off
(04:12):
home run to win an extra innings bruh, Like, how
do y'all did y'all? First? Did y'all watch it? I watched.
I watched it on my spectrum on my phone walk
we went watched first part of it before we went
over to Senior night. But I was watching it. I
don't watch baseball, particularly until it gets to the later rounds.
(04:33):
Same with NBA. I don't really watch it, watch it
until we get to the later rounds. But from my
perception of it, I thought that it was a well matched,
well played game. It delivered. The energy was crazy. It
was palpable that the way they defended, you know, it
was to me, again not being an expert on baseball,
(04:56):
the fact that they were able to keep the score
so low for so long, just the kind of you know,
the way they were game planning one another. It looked
like it was a well played game and set the
stage for a super, super dramatic ending.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
What what was y'all's takeaway from it? You know, I watched,
I watched every every pitch of every inning. I thought
it was a great game. Garrett Cole was lights out
pitching for the Yankees. I thought Jack Flaherty was lights
out pitching for the Dodgers. Made that mistake with John
Carlos Stanton and he took advantage of it. But it
(05:36):
was a it was a well played game, and it
was different. And again I've watched I'm gonna say eighty
percent of the playoff games. I watched pretty much all
of the Dodger games as many as I can. I
probably catch about one hundred and twenty.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Hundred thirty Dodgers Dodgers. Yeah, yeah, we we we.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
And so the playoffs, if you watch the playoffs, they
hitting has completely overpowered the pitching.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
And so last night was different. It was the pitching.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Garrett Cole and Jack Flirty kept the hitters off balance,
didn't give up, didn't have much traffic on the basis.
And so when you know the starting pitchers, the Dodgers
have a really, really good bullpen. We have a really
good bullpen. The Yankees not so much. And so I
was surprised that Brett Boone pulled Garrett Cole after he
(06:30):
gives up that bass hit. I believe it was the
top of the seventh inning. He gives up a lead
off base hit and he pulls them, and I'm assuming
the Dodgers saw that was like, yeah, finally, thank you,
And so I mean, it's a kind of picture poison really,
so you know, you get to the ninth inning. I
(06:54):
believe it was Keith k got on. Tommy Edman gets
a base hit. So now they walk they walk O Tany. No,
they get it out, they walk O Tany and then
they purp, no, no, they didn't walk O Tiny. They
bringing nestor O Tany flies out. So then they walk
(07:17):
Mookie Betts to load the bases because they want the
lefty on lefty matchup. And Freddy Freeman he heard his
ankle the last game of the regular season.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
He'd been in and out of the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
First, man, you would have thought Freddy Freeman was part
of my family. When he hit that home run away,
we erupted in the house like it was just the
moment man, Like I don't think people realize in all sports,
whether it's basketball, football, base But doesn't you dream of
these moments as a kid. You know, if you're out
there working with your daddy, you like, all right, this
(07:51):
is the last pitch.
Speaker 4 (07:52):
Okay, you're in the World Series, bases loaded, you're down
three runs.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
I need you to hit a home run. These are
the moments like when Freddy Freeman was a kid. When
he was a child, he went to the park and
he went through those moments with his father, and I'm
sure y'all have done that with y'all kids, And I'm hey,
you down one point, you know they just fouled you,
or you down five points, it's fourth down, they throwing
you the ball. And for him to come through in
(08:18):
the biggest of moments on the biggest stage of his profession, man,
I look forward to a great series if if the
rest of these games could be anything remotely closed to
last night.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
Man, it's crazy because Freddie Freeman had never supposed to
have left Atlanta, which which was a shame in the
way that they did him and sitting them to the
Dodgers and didn't even notify him that he was being traded,
which is which is crazy. But this is going to
be you know, over here man, we all Yankees, and
it just seems like for the you know, for the
last few games Specimen ALC. Yes, it kind of seems that,
(08:55):
you know, Aaron Judge, who was the best player during
the regular season, he's just in a slump.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Man.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
We can't afford to have him go one for five
and you know, strike out three times in the World Series.
And we wouldn't even be where we are if it
wasn't for Wan. So though him and Jim Stanton, they
are really starting to play some quality baseball. This is
one of the main reasons why we are in the
(09:23):
World Series. But it kind of took me back to
I don't know if y'all remember this, but you know,
Kirk Gibson, who played wide receiver at Michigan State, had
a walk off game run, walk off home run in
the World Series in Game one in nineteen eighty eight.
So it kind of took me back to that watching
Freddy Freeman and he has the first walk off Grand Slam.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
And World Series history.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
But let me tell you something, when they come over
here to the when they come over here to the Bronx,
it's going down and I will be at one of
these games. But last night, man, it was just to
watch Freddie Freeman that had to have that moment. I've
been in one of those. It is something that you
absolutely dream of as a kid. Man, a walk off
(10:11):
home run with the tenth inning in a World series. Man, so,
and I will say this, one of the smartest things
I think the Dodgers have done is that show hell
Tany last series in a c alc Yes, he was
back in the lead off. So now if you're the Dodgers,
(10:31):
you can't walk them because now Mookie Betts is back
behind them. And I think it's one of the smartest,
smartest moves that they've done this far to let Old
Tany lead off, because you can't just start off a
baseball game and walk the lead off battle. People gonna
be looking at you like you're crazy.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
How you gonna want to lead off battle?
Speaker 4 (10:51):
And further in the first inning you can't walk them
and Mookie's behind them. But I still think that the
Yankees will win the World World Series in six You
think so, I believe it.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
He don't believe that. We we know that's o. Man.
How you going to my home believe that? Right down
the street.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
We we are Yankees out with with Yankee fans out here.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
What you talking about man yam a Moto about to
about to get him to night?
Speaker 2 (11:19):
Yeah yeah, alright eight pm. Uh so that's gonna be
one to pay attention to. There was a whole lot
going on in Los Angeles last evening, not just the
World Series, but the Lakers were playing. They're off to
a great start. We're gonna get to the l a
Lakers in this fast start that they've had uh thus far.
(11:42):
But next we're gonna talk to a tongue of aaloa. Uh,
he's he's clear to come back. Looks as though he's
gonna play. I'm curious to get the feedback from TJ
and Plexico on what this means, you know, just how
should we be looking at this as it applies to
to a tongue of lo loa and obviously what he's
(12:03):
been dealing with. You're listening to up on Game. It
is plex Coburs, it is TJ. Huchmansada, I'm LeVar Arrington.

Welcome back in. It's up on Game Love from the
tirag dot com studios. It's t J. Huschman's outa, It's
Plexico burs LaVar Arrington. You know what. Some some big, big,
big big opinions surrounding the return of Tua Tongue of
(14:17):
Blowa to the Miami Dolphins. It's a struggling Miami Dolphins team.
But I gotta tell you guys, his return is not
I mean, his return I believe is overshadowing everything else
that has to do with the Miami Dolphins. I think
that the stage is set for there to be a tremendous,
(14:41):
a tremendous fallout if something were to happen to Tua. Now,
I know we've had the conversation on this show and look,
the idea of him being a man and him being
able to make his own decisions and living with those decisions.
I get that's the American dream. There are far more
(15:04):
dangerous jobs where people are risking their lives and their
welfare and their well being to do what it is
that they do, and that's their choice. I feel like
that's the same here. But with that being said, it
just kind of takes on a different type of narrative
(15:24):
because if something were to happen, and I would have
to assume most people are thinking, it's not a matter
of if Tua will get a concussion, it's a matter
of when. And if that's the case, how do you
handle that? If you're the Miami Dolphins, how do you
handle that? If you are the National Football League? It
(15:46):
has to be something that they are preparing for or
need to be preparing for. As it applies to the
return of tongue of below in the Arizona Cardinals matchup game,
What say you, guys.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
I mean, at this point, honestly, how can you plan
for it? It's really cross your fingers, pray to God
and just hope everything goes according to plan, meaning nothing
happens to tour. You know, if I'm toa I'm playing.
I've said this, I'm playing the game. I'm not worried
(16:22):
about what if I get another concussion. I'm playing. I'm
a row. I'm gonna play this game to the wills
fall off if I'm to it, and I'll deal with
the consequences later on in life. If that's the case,
that that's just me. But if something wasn't happened the
Miami Dolphins they put him on IR I believe he's
(16:42):
been out about five weeks now, something to that effect,
maybe six weeks of second game of the season, that's
the second Yeah, it's about six weeks, and so he's
been out a good amount of time, and it if
it happens, so unfortunate. But when the grown man is saying,
(17:02):
you know, he loves the game, I want to play
the game, and some will say, oh, well, you have
to protect him from himself. The league will eventually step
in if this continues to happen. I believe, I don't think,
but if he has a concussion, if he has another concussion,
he will be out the rest of the season.
Speaker 4 (17:22):
TJ sold to mess. How can the NFL step in?
And the league steps in, he goes out and has
another concussion. But this decision is a is a medical
decision that the that the team doctors make.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
It has nothing to do with the NFL him are clearing.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
They will be the football They will be behind the scenes,
behind the scenes, behind the scenes saying X, Y and Z,
he will not get cleared. And if he does not
get cleared, that means the guarantees in his contract are
true guarantees. And now it gives a dolphin's a way
(18:01):
to okay, move forward. The league won't just come out
and say it, but they'll be making a decision.
Speaker 4 (18:08):
So you think the league is going to step in
and overrule the medical decision that the doctors make for
this team. I think they'll all be locking step. They
will be all so the NFL, so the NFL, the
NFL PA. I guess they would have a lead, a
league wide physician, a physician that will come in and
(18:29):
pretty much trump what the doctors say for the Dolphins.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Now, we don't know what the Dolphins are going to say,
I mean, what the doctors are going to say. The
doctors may frauntics purpose say uh, they may not clear
them anyway, and so we don't know, we don't know,
we're so many.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
How do you like, there's the thing though, when you
get this type of injury, how do you continue like
if it happens again, how do you in your right
mind clear him again? Like you can clear him and say, okay,
the the symptoms are are now down, he's he's returned
back to normal function. But in reality, how do you
(19:09):
continue to clear him to come back and go back
out there on the field. How you feel that's gonna be?
To me, that's the biggest question to me.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
The toughest thing for this medical staff moving forward for
Tour is that they are they're going to clear him
to put him back on the football field at some
point in time of this season. If you look at
the tackle or the hit, it wasn't even a blow
to the head.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
It was just a regular tackle. So that's why they
had he had decide he made contact.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
Was it was a shoulder tackle the ball, It wasn't
It wasn't helmet to helmet.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
It wasn't like a right now, it wasn't helmet to helmet.
It was not gregious head. It was right an egregious
head where you would think that it would lead to
a concussion verself.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
So I think moving forward for the Miami Dolphins, the
best way to protect the themselves is to go out
and find you a quarterback. I mean, I really think
it's going to get to that point to where, if
you know, he is in career mode right now tour
as far as these concussions are involved, because he goes
(20:16):
out and has another one this year, I really believe
that the Miami Dolphins is going to look, look, man, we.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Are not going to continue to keep putting you out
on this football field and letting you do this for yourself,
because he's going to keep playing, just like we all would.
Speaker 4 (20:31):
But I think the Miami Dolphins are going to look
at it from a contractual standpoint, say, listen, we got
a way out, and I think they are going to
use it if he goes out and gets one another
other one of these concussions. But I think for the Dolphins,
they need to really start looking and moving forward to
(20:51):
find them an elite quarterback or a backup quarterback if
they want to even contend for the rest of the season.
But for me, listen, I want to play. Everybody knows
the only reason why I wouldn't ste up on a
football field.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
And if I couldn't walk. If I couldn't walk, I
wasn't gonna play. But if I was walking, I was playing.
That That was me, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (21:17):
That was just my mindset going into the game. If
I'm limping, I'm playing. They don't matter. Let's get to it.
But I think for him, man a couple of times,
it's a whole different day and age. If he goes
out Man to have one of these another episodes, I
think that the Miami Dolphins are going to have to say, look, man,
(21:39):
we need to invest in a quarterback. And right now
I think where they are, I don't think. I don't now.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
The Miami Dolphins not going to make the playoffs this year.
I don't think. So. Okay, so you bring that up,
because here, what's going to be my next question? How
like Tua has to move around? Like, wouldn't we agree
that he's most effective when he's moving around and delivering
the ball. He's accurate, but he's not a quarterback that
(22:08):
just is a stand up, statuesque pocket passing quarterback. He's mobile,
he moves around, I would say he does. I wouldn't
he's not a run first quarterback. But he's he's not
a run at all quarterback. No, he's not run, but
he moves, but he has to move the throw. He moves,
the throw moves the throw to was a timing quarterback. Yeah,
(22:33):
ball moves out like he doesn't. No, he doesn't want
to them. He doesn't stand in the pocket.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
They will if the play design is to a play
action and get outside of the pocket. Yes, but outside
of that to it, to me is more of a
timing quarterback. Back foot hits, fifth step, letting it go,
three step, letting it go. He's not holding the ball,
he's not scrambling. He's not scrambling around.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Now.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
I take every quarterback does it times he scrammed. Every
quarterback does that at times. I just believe when he
gets into this game, I don't care how good you feel,
how much you say you're gonna play like this. As
soon as he feels bodies around him, that panic is
(23:18):
going to hit him.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
I don't care who you are.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
That that pans almost like when you you're on a
roller coaster and you take that big drop.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
You know your stomach that he's going to feel that
like that moment right before you go yes, you start
to feel that that ex yes, yes.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
Why I get on this bitch? When why so high? Dude,
I'm telling you, And when does that feeling level? I'm
gonna be going crazy.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
I don't know when that's how he can play the
same way he's played, right, Like, how can you play
with the same amount of confidence knowing knowing that it
doesn't even as plex mentioned, it doesn't take a big
hint for him to get concussion the stuff. You're right,
(24:08):
it's just gonna take the whole way he can. He
can adjust and say this is how I'm going to
avoid getting a concussion. Unless he can.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
All the way immediately, you cannot say the game of
football that way.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
It is a reaction. And so that's the point. So
is it going to change? Are we looking at something
that is going to change the way to a plays
And if so, can he still play out a high
level not playing the way that he was playing before.
Speaker 4 (24:36):
I've always said that playing quarterback in the National Football
League is the toughest uh position in all the sports.
Everything that that's going on, that the line of scrimmage
and the coverage changes right before your eyes and understanding
you know converted rocks a by wide receivers versus coverages
and where everybody's going, and you know the defense, the
(24:57):
defensive line, the land, the line is.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
Slinting this way.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
He has no time to think about how I'm being
tackled or I don't want to hit my head on
the ground, or whatever the case may be. You cannot
play the game of football that way. I was always told,
if you're playing not to get hurt, you're gonna get hurt.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
You're gonna get hurt. Yeah, that's just the way that
it is.
Speaker 4 (25:18):
And you can't play the especially the quarterback position, worrying
about if if I get hit, am I going to
have another concussion? If you if you're thinking that way
while you're playing, you might as well go stand on
the side along over time.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
M hmm. It's just it's gonna be interesting.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
He he just needs to play how he plays, and
it sucks, is said. If it happens, it happens. The
the Dolphins moving forward, they will need a high, high
level starter as a backup. They're gonna have to They're
(25:58):
gonna have to pay a backup quarterback almost as if
he's a coach starter so to speak, if to what's
you know, can stay healthy because at any moment this
can happen. And when this happens, I mean you look
at the situation every now like they their backups, like
they need a Joe Flacco type of backup. They need
(26:19):
a backup that's that has a ton of experience playing
because if he goes down, the season is over. Like
you see Tyrek Hill, Oh my, I love it. I
take you about the I'm so happy because he see
what life is like with the backups that they had
to play with. The Dolphins didn't plan the correct way.
They didn't plan the correct way they knew to what
(26:40):
had these problems like for them to have the backups
that they had. That's incompetent, Like how are you a
general manager of an NFL team and you doing this?
Like it's just crazy how these dudes get in the
positions that they get in.
Speaker 4 (26:54):
Yeah, it goes back to me saying a couple of
years ago when Aaron Rodgers got hurt. The backup quarterback
position in the NFL is probably one of the most
coveted positions right now in sports because if you're starting
quarterback goes down, you're not gonna win games. That's just
(27:15):
the way that that's the reason why they are backups.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
Pittsburgh did it when they lassinated Cordell. He had to
play Tommy the backup.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
That was twenty five years ago. What you're talking about,
I'm talking about now. The backup quarterbacks that are standing
on the sideline. These guys are making like three, four
or five million dollars just being backup quarterbacks because these
head Carson organization Whensylvania went down. Yeah, and these organizations
know how valuable it is to have an above average
(27:50):
backup quarterback.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
They gotta have one on your roster. Is Zak Kaepernick,
Who's out there, Who's who's available on the market that's
a quality, quality back.
Speaker 4 (28:00):
We don't know. We don't know who they are and
until we see them play. Mm hmm, because they don't
get in the game.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
Mhm. See. I think that's a hard that's a hard
position to be in. That's a hard position to be
in because, like like what you're saying, in some cases,
we may not know who a backup is that is
of the caliber of a legit backup that could actually
be a starter. Those names we generally know now if
(28:30):
there's a backup that actually could be a starter, but
is a backup right now? We don't we don't know
who they are. But don't you feel like that's a
risk that that the the coaching staff is taking by
using that player. I feel like that's that's how this
all works, right, This is a sport of familiarity. I know,
(28:51):
I know. I know some of these backups names, right
I know Andy Dalton's name, I know that name. I know, uh,
who's my guy Flacco? I know Flacco's name. I know
these names of some of these backups, and I trust
that it's like, Okay, he's a journeyman, or he's getting
old now and he's probably going to retire soon or
(29:12):
whatever it may be. But you know what, this dude
was a starter in this league, or he had success
in this league as a starter, and I'm okay with
them putting him in. Sometimes that's just not the case
with people that people are unfamiliar with, you know, and
who knows how long that success will last. I mean,
we were talking about a Miami team that before TOUA
(29:35):
goes down, they're competing. They're going to try to win
their division and possibly could show to be a contender.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
Due respect to the Vike I mean to the Dolphins
quarterbacks not named to him. Let's be honest, watching him,
it was as if they hadn't even been in practice.
That's one, like you hadn't been in practice all the
train Like are.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
You where were you at? It looks like some trash.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
Now you need to You need to get to Andy
dalkons As has a ton of starts. You need to
get the flaccos. That's taking a team to a super Bowl.
You need those backups. That backup quarterback position in Miami
may be the second most important position on the team.
That's how important it is if you're the Miami Dolphins
because of Tua. Nough Tua can stay healthy, then this
(30:23):
is a moot point. But staying healthy and is it?
Speaker 2 (30:27):
But is it really? See to me, I don't think
you can ever make it a moot point because that
always exists with Tua. If I'm being honest, I can
never trust to ever again. I can't trust him to
stay healthy because that's not something he can control, right
it is it is? It is about the trust of
(30:47):
I'm not going to make a major investment for a
player that they actually come in here and start that
could start they did with with Tua. With Tua, but
not with somebody else that could start if too. I'm
trusting that I'm going to have to replace Two at
some point, yes or no, Yeah, absolutely that seat. To me,
(31:09):
that is one hell of a compromising position to be
in if you're the organization or you're the head coach,
because once you make that investment, toa knows it immediately,
and so do the players, which they should already know
it anyway, based off of what his injury history is.
But that is a hell of a situation to put
your team in.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
We have we have organizations that are in that same
exact place where the Miami Dolphins are and the quarterbacks
are are one hundred percent healthy. That's fair what I'm
talking about.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
Yeah, that's fair. I mean, as you've got Kirk Cousins
and Michael Pinnick's going on in Atlanta. I mean, there
are those those situations. But I just look at it
like this, man, that's a compromising position for the Miami
Dolphins to be in. It'll be interesting to see how
it all plays out and what Two is able to
do and how he's going to play moving forward. Let's
get a quick update we're going to talk Vikings. Well,
(32:04):
now we're gonna take a break after we get our
update from from Ilo, and then we're gonna talk Lakers.
But before we go to the break, Ilo, what you got?
Speaker 6 (32:13):
All right, fellas, We'll start at the Horseshoe where fourth
ranked Ohio State and Nebraska are scoreless midway through the
first quarter. Twelfth rank Notre Dame of fourteen to nothing
lead at Navy with three forty four and counting left
in the first quarter on Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonards
one yard touchdown run and then he threw a six
yard touchdown pass to Chris Mitchell. Number thirteen Indiana at
(32:36):
seven to zero. Up seven to nothing over Washington with
nineteen seconds left in the first quarter, Indiana's D'Angelo ponds
with a sixty five yard interception return for a touchdown.
Number eighteen Ole Miss hosting Oklahoma. Ole Miss got on
the scoreboard first on a nine yard touchdown run by
Henry Parrish, but moments ago Oklahoma tied it on an
eleven yard touchdown pass from Jackson Arnold to Bowers Sharp

right after we get off the air. All right, before
we get out of this first hour, Fellas, the La Lakers,
with the addition of Bronnie James, have now become a
(36:37):
legitimate contender in the West, off to their fastest start
in quite some time. It's got to be an exciting
feeling for this Lakers team to start to zero all seriousness,
Anthony Davis is playing like a league MVP right now
(36:59):
after two games, and Lebron James doesn't look like he's
showing any signs of slowing down. It looks like they
got a pretty strong supporting cast.
Speaker 4 (37:08):
You and oh, let's not get up pennies in a bunch.
I mean, it's the first week of the season, Leavar.
You just said you don't even watch NBA basketball until
it's like playoff.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
True. I mean, come on, they're too and zero.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
Anthony Davis has supposed to have been playing like this
seven years ago when he joined the LA Lakers. Lebron
is not slowing up now because it's the first week
of the season. He'll slow down in about two months.
Dalton connect is really the only reason why they even
know about the Los Angeles Lakers. And Snoop my man
(37:45):
Snoop and called them the West West Side SI, so
now he has that nickname.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
We get it.
Speaker 4 (37:52):
We understand. They beat the Phoenix Uns one twenty three
to one, sixteen. But not let don't everybody jump out
the window TJ and cuffs when we get him on
the show that the Lakers are back, we're competing to
win the world championship.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
Man, let's just stop the madness.
Speaker 4 (38:10):
And I will say this, the only bright spot on
this this basketball team is it's Dalton Connecting Hachie Morrow.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
I mean, let's be honest. I mean, I'm not just.
Speaker 4 (38:22):
Going to sit here and let TJ go on a
rant talking about we're back, We're going to win the
Western We're.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
Listen, you're two and oh. And I will say this,
I do believe this.
Speaker 4 (38:34):
At some point in this season, JJ Reddick is going
to put Dalton connect in the starting lineup because he
is going to be that good as a player.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
TJ the floor. I'm a realist. It's early in the season.
It's early.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
But what I will say is, first game, we beat
the Minnesota Timberwolves, who many think can open it to
the Western Conference finals. And and we beat the Phoenix Suns,
whom many thinking all will compete for the work. So
we've beaten two teams that many think will finish ahead
of us in the standings, and so to come out
of the game. And this is the thing though, that
(39:12):
I like ball movement.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
On offense.
Speaker 3 (39:15):
We're moving the ball much better than we did last season.
We're pushing the tempo whenever we get an opportunity. Defensively
we are much better. And so I like what I'm
seeing early on. But it's early. But they're tooing up
okay today, but we basketball teams. What do you I
(39:37):
wondered you giving me your honest assessment. I know you're
out there in California. You know, no no clouds and
this guys and all that do today. It really is
what do you think Ronnie James fits that on this
basketball team? Like Bronnie James isn't don't play much, if
(39:57):
at all. They got that out of the way game one.
They got it out of the way, which I think
was a great idea.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
Do you think this benefits him as a player for
making progress to be an NBA player?
Speaker 2 (40:12):
If he's just sitting over there on the bench, he's.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
Going to be They just announced yesterday that Ronnie James
will go back and forth between the G League and
the Lakers, so he'll predominantly get his experience in the gym.
What is he going I have no idea, go off
what it said, and so he's going to develop from that.
To me, the Lakers, it's not about Lebron and Bronnie
(40:38):
James planning. They got that out of the way the
first game so that it would not be a distraction.
They not moving forward to you. You guys are trying
to make it a joke, like.
Speaker 2 (40:56):
I know you said that they got it out of
the way. I'm a real question.
Speaker 4 (41:04):
He's going to develop and as an athlete yourself, it
helps you to get better as a player. No, listen
but that no, it doesn't if they're just sitting watching.
It's one of the best teachers in all the sports. No,
I think you need to sit and watch, and you
need to sit and watch, and you need to sit
(41:24):
and play because there's certain times as you're sitting and
watching you want to see if what you see you
can apply, But can't you do that in practice? Yeah,
but the intensity is completely different. The intensity is different,
but the intensity, the intensity is different. And so I
agree he's going to get those reps in the G League.
(41:47):
That's all you can ask for. And if he develops,
I don't give that's great. And if he doesn't it
is what it is, sitting here trying to observe intensity.
There's no intensity when you are.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
Hot on the court. And you gotta go on. Kevin Durant,
Oh you gotta go on. Uh they had him in
the post. Come on, man, he's six feet tall. Listen.
Speaker 3 (42:07):
What intensity are we looking at? Listen, you you gotta
He's gonna learn and then that's all you can ask for.
And if he gets better from learning, then that's a plus.
All I know is week too. And oh and we've
beaten two teams that's supposed to be contenders.
Speaker 2 (42:23):
That's all I know. Coups, the legends just said tel Plex,
the jig is hovering. It shuts out the coups. We're
gonna get you on soon. Bro, We're gonna We're gonna
get you. Come on the show man, Hey, stay locked in.
