aring Tent, TJ. Hushman Zanna, and Silver Bowl champion Blaxico Burres.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
All right, all right, welcome into our two of the show.
So exciting, so good. A lot of football was discussed
an hour one of this fair show. Now it is
our two and you know what, well, you got t J.
Hutchman's out and you got Plexico Bergs, you got myself,
LeVar Arrington. We give you a lot of great football
talk and we'll continue to do that. But you know what,

(01:20):
we're gonna talk to some round ball. We got some
glowing the dark flying objects that's becoming a trend in
the basketball arena. We also have some new contracts getting done,
some stuff taking place here. Let's uh, man, we got guys,
uh you know, making bail, all kinds of stuff like that. Man,
a lot of things going on in the headlines of basketball.

(01:44):
But before we start talking basketball, you hear this, you know,
we got to bring the man, the myth, the legend
himself in here. It is listen to this on the
other side, you know who it is.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Now it's time to check in with Cuffs the Legends
from some dude show pot cast on up on Game Presents.
Cuffs is giving you a spicy takes on what's going down.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
You can take the heat like Lebron.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
And now here's Cuffs the Legend.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
It's gold time.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
Legend, all right, as promised, we bring them in Cuffs
the Legend. Yep, we're talking some w NBA, We're talking
some NBA. Hey, we're talking retired NBA player, We're talking
all things round ball. What's happening with you? Comes, how
you feeling, what's the good deal with you?

Speaker 2 (02:36):
My up on Game Brothers, my up on game Brothers.
I missed y'all. Man, it's been a couple of weeks.
You know, it's all type of stuff going on in
the sports world. You got lawsuits, you got guys getting sued,
You've got players having all type of illegal gambling stuff.
You got all type of stuff. You got six foids
being thrown on.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
The field, on the court, edit, the NBA going on.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
But the real news, it was the real news that's
going down today. As I woke up on this glorious Saturday,
man got a little workout in I see low carb.
Luka Donich has signed three years, one and sixty five million.
I think it's looking like Luka Docta is going to
be a Lucer for life.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Laker for life. Guys knew never it never happens. It
always looks like they're going to be lifers, and then
some way, somehow they get to a point in their
career where they find a way to ship them off
and ship them out and do a blockbuster trade. That's
especially what happens with the Lakers. But even though while
y'all sitting there feeling like it's a lifelong thing for

(03:38):
Luca in La, how does this impact the Lakers as
we're continuing to move forward. I know we've seen some
movement with Lebron being on his boat with another player
that that is a really really good hooper in Denver
with his agent. What like, what is this continuing to do?
The shape up how things are going in LA And

(03:59):
you know, Jay, you certainly can jump in since it's
your team as well, so you know, y'all go ahead
and jump on it.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
I just think the Lakers, I just think the Lakers
now are wildly moving on from Lebron like they they
wouldn't mind if Lebron sticks around and and he can
be that second option. But that's a that's a tough
thing for Lebron because he's always been that guy. And
as you see now, Luca, he went out, he did that,
he did the leg work, he did the recruiting. Market Smart,

(04:30):
he went out and got market Smart. Now the question
with Marcus Smart, I would have TJ and Plax and
LeVar is does market Smart have anything left in the tank,
because if he does, that's a real X factor. That's
a difference maker. He was the defensive player of the
Year a few years ago. They went out and got
DeAndre Aidens, who was another Bill Dusty client along with Luca.

(04:51):
Luca is doing a lot of recruiting like Lebron James
once did when he first became a Laker. So it's
gonna be interesting to see in these next couple of
weeks or so, because I spoke to le Broun recently
and he's still weighing his options. I supposed to Lebroun
a couple of nights ago. He is still weighing his options.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
You know.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
But now that Luca is committed to the Lakers, I
think that's gonna change a lot of things. So I
still feel like the Lakers are still missing one piece,
one piece, because you look at the Rockets, you look
at these other teams, they have two bigs, and I
don't trust the Lakers situation with Jack and Hayes is
the backup center right now. So DeAndre Aiden was a
great signing. Marcus Smart, like I said, was a great signing.

(05:29):
Lucas doing all the right things recruiting these guys, but
it's still one more piece. I feel like TJ that's
left out here for the Lakers.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
The Lakers, we are for sure gonna have to find
another big. We know, that, whether it's during the season
of trade or buy out, whatever, We're gonna have to
get another big But Marcus smart, he should have a
lot less in the tank because he's young in NBA terms,
he's still young now. The last two seasons, yeah, hell

(06:00):
wise haven't been what he wanted. But I believe when
you have those type of seasons and people start saying, oh,
he's getting old, that's when that dedication and that work
actic come. It must come to the forefront. People been questioning, Luca,
what are you gonna do? All right, I'm gonna get
in his great shape. I'm gonna show y'all. Now, to me,

(06:22):
Luca being in great shape or better shape doesn't matter.
Him losing weight, that don't matter to me. Are you
gonna give effort on the defensive side of the ball,
because offensively, we know he's gonna put he gonna get buckets.
He gonna put up twenty eight to thirty at night,
he gonna average seven to nine rebounds, he gonna average

(06:44):
eight and ten assists. That's a given, Luca.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
If Luca gonna play defense.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
Now, him losing this weight, that's if that's when it matters.
He got it on the defensive end, put in some effort.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
Listen, let's just really get to the meeting potatoes of
this whole situation. Obviously, Luca been eating a lot of
meat and potatoes up until this time. Now you call
them low carb Luca, I don't give a damn if
he's fat or skinny. He's going to score thirty twenty eight,
thirty points, just like you said, But on a defensive end.

(07:21):
Is he going to be committed to putting that effort
on a date, on a nightly basis. He's the worst
transition defender in the world. Is that going to change?
Is the weight going to help him change his whole
demeanor of how he wanted to approach the game defensively?

Speaker 3 (07:40):
We are going to see.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
But I don't care if you're fat, you're skinny, whatever
you want to be. He signed a three year there
you say he's going to be a Laker for life.
That's all good?

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Did it?

Speaker 5 (07:52):
Does he make the Lakers a better team contended in
the Western Conference?

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Yeah? He does.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
Just like you said, what y'all one piece of way
you know you're not You're like three.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Or four pieces away.

Speaker 5 (08:04):
And just like you said, Lebron is never going to
be the number two option in his career effort.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
It doesn't matter.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
Where he goes, where he plays, he is going to
be the number one option when he is on the
basketball court. No matter who he plays for. He's not
going to take the back seat to anybody. This is ego.
He's the key, He's Abron James, He's the all time league.
It's going NBA history. So with that being said, he's
still going to be the man. Are the Lakers going

(08:36):
to be able to contend in the Western Conference to
get close to another NBA championship?

Speaker 3 (08:43):
And the answer is no, Yeah, I can't. I can't
disagree with that. I think they're going to be I
think they have the potential. I think Smart is a
great addition. Honestly, I don't question if he has enough
left or not. I think that when they got you know,
they moved on from him in Boston, I felt like
that was you know, I guess Drew Holliday made it

(09:06):
a great move and and and that was like one
of those deals that you know, it's like, okay, it
justified the move. But man, I felt like he was
like the heartbeat, like the glue, the the guy that
kept them together, you know, and and and in Boston.
So when he left, he you know, kind of disappeared
a little bit. But I think he could be a
great addition. I like his game. I like what he

(09:28):
brings to the table. He's like, he's a gutsy guy.
You you like you like watching him play DeAndre? You
know what, Ayton? It is? Ayton how you say? Aden?
You know? I think he can like brou if he
can find his way back to the form he had
in that playoff run he had with with the Phoenix Sons,

(09:50):
they could be this could be a very dangerous team.
But at Plex, I think you made the best point here.
If Lebron James is still on this team, they I
don't think that they have a fear opportunity to be
a really, really good team because He's going to want
and demand to be the first option, and I think
that that's going to cause a lot of issues and

(10:11):
a lot of problems, thus meaning that they gotta figure
out a way to move on from Lebron. It can
be a we don't mind having Lebron back on the team,
It can't be that. I feel like, if they want
to have a fair opportunity to see what these guys
they're acquiring and bringing in along with some of the
younger talent that they have on the team, They're almost
in a they have to move on from Lebron James scenario.

(10:34):
That's what I would say.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Let me say this real quick, guys, there's been this,
this myth or saying that Lebron doesn't want to be
the second guy. Lebron has been trying to pass the
keys over, even when he was with Cleveland with Kyrie, right, No.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
No, that's not true.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Lebron James allowed Kyrie Irvin to have that game winning
moment in those Finals in twenty sixteen. Right when he
first got to the Lakers in twenty eighteen, there were
young guy, young pups. They had Lonzo Ball, Kuzma, Ingram
and those guys young group, right, so he had to
show that leadership. Once Ad came into the mix, and
Ad came into the foe from New Orleans, when he

(11:24):
came over from the Pelicans, that's when Lebron really wanted
to pass the keys off, right. He wanted to pass
the torch. Let you have it right. The last couple
of years, AD was starting to show that, right, and
AD said, what can I please get me a big
man alongside me. And what did the Lakers do about
two weeks later? They traded Anthony Davis. So that statement
right there that they've made to Anthony Davis, I felt

(11:46):
like resonated with Lebron because he has been he has
been selfless. A lot of times people look at Braun
like he's this ego maniac. No, Lebron wants to be
a team player. He has always been a team first guy.
So now he's in a position where he's gonna adapt
his game like he always has. I could see him
sitting more screens now, being more of a screener and

(12:08):
a roller with Luca, but he could be more b
Lebron's going to show his toolbox now with Luca and
DeAndre Ayden more than ever before. Because when it is
the last time Lebron was on a team with a
true center that can average twenty and ten, He's never
Anthony Davis.

Speaker 5 (12:29):
You're saying Anthony Davis wasn't capable of average twenty two
and tend Davis.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Anthony Davis is a natural power for it.

Speaker 5 (12:36):
Con He's a big man and man seven feet don't
don't classify him by position now, he's a big man.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Don't classify him as a power forward. But he wants
a big man.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
But he wants to play on a perimeter more than
he wants to play down.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
On the block.

Speaker 5 (12:52):
All these guys do now not dere all these sad
foot player in the perimeter?

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Now you would?

Speaker 5 (12:59):
So, So now you are saying that Anthony Davis is
not considered a big man.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
No, no, he's not. He's not a true center. He's
a power for it.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
Ain't no difference in the NBA. Ain't no difference.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
So can I after the CJ, should the Lakers consider
bringing off the Reeds off the bench now that Marcus
Smart is in the fold? Because I say that. I
say that because you can't have two guys that do
not play defense and do not move to puffies and
your starting backcourt. And that's what you have with Luca
off the reeves. They are literally traffic cones on defense.

(13:36):
So do you do you see JJ Reddick putting Marcus
Smart in certain him and that starting five for more defense,
because that's what you're gonna need now that you have
Marcus Smart in the mix.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
So let me ask you a question.

Speaker 5 (13:48):
Did not a off fifteen decline his option for contractually
with the Lakers. So is he the one more year
with the team or how's that?

Speaker 3 (13:57):
How's that looking?

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Yeah, he's been he's been heating on himself. Really, that's
what he's doing.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
Oh, he's better on himself.

Speaker 5 (14:03):
If they put put Bucker Smart and it start, I
bet it ain't good for him.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
Dude, because if you put Marcus Smart in the starting
lineup one, you're letting everybody know we are becoming a
defensive team, because that's that that is what we lack
last year.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
That's number one.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
Number two is this Austin Reeves now can come in
with the second unit and basically be the number one
scoring threat. And so I love it because he'll get
five to seven minutes of the ball in his hands,
him making all the decisions. And that happened at the
start whenever he comes in and Luca goes out and

(14:45):
or in the second half. And so for me, that's
how you maximize the offensive output that Austin Reeves.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Can give us. I'm all for that. Now. It's Austin.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Vision, right, DJ. Yes, I see a new Genobli type role. Man,
new Genobli type role for Austin reeves. It's better for
everybody because when you have Lebron he wants the ball,
somewhat you got Luca, He's gonna dominate Austin Reids. It's
so many guys in the starting five that want the ball,

(15:18):
that want to be able to be the facilitator.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
I feel like I will agree with this to this day.

Speaker 5 (15:23):
JJ Reddick bought Marcus Smart to this team for a reason.
Marcus Smart is a blue guy. I love Marcus Smart.
I know the way he approaches the game. I love
the way he plays defense. I love his tenacity, and
I think JJ Reddick has recognized that, listen, we have
to be better defensively. First in the Western Conference with

(15:44):
all these young teams.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
And all these and the Western Conference is too good
right the NBA Finals.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
They need defense, they need defense. So I believe that
Marcus Smart is a glue guy. He's gonna come in
and start and all fifteen is going to come off
the bitch. So I think they recognize, Listen, if we
want to have a chance to compete in the Western Conference,
we have to get better defensively, and that is what
JJ Reddick is trying to accomplience with bringing in Marcus Smart.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
All right, let's let's take a quick chill pill here.
Let's let's get a little sip of water and wipe
our brows off. Listen, we're gonna take a quick break here,

about that? Let's get an update from my guy. What
you got going on a loo? Thank you? Yeah, that's right,

(20:34):
thank you. Yeah, that's a good recovery. Yeah, I forgive you.

Speaker 8 (20:37):
I forgive you, well, I appreciate that. I just don't
forgive myself. You know what I'm gonna do ten hard on.
I will do ten push ups as punishments, which in
my case is one push up ten times. Anyway, Today,
Los Angeles Lakers star Luca Danget signed a three year,
one hundred and sixty five million dollar max contract extension

(20:59):
and kicks and star with the twenty twenty six to
twenty seven season. There is a player option for the
third and final year of the extension, which is the
twenty twenty eight twenty nine campaign. The NFL, the Denver
Broncos are signing All Pro defensive lineman Zach Allen to
a four year, one hundred and two million dollar extension
with sixty nine million guaranteed. Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shador

(21:20):
Sanders was held out of team drills today due to
shoulder soreness, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class
of twenty twenty five induction ceremony is beginning in Canton
as we speak. Taking the microphone right now, wearing a
cowboy hat, by the way, is Jared Allen. His fellow
inductees Eric Allen, Antonio Gates and Sterling Sharp And we

(21:42):
have one Major League Baseball game underway the Tampa Bay
Rays on a Yondi Dias home run, I have a
one nothing lead over the Dodgers in the top half
of the second inning.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
R back to appreciate to Alo. All right, let's get
back to this, guys. Let's let's get down to business.
We got cups the legend on from that Dude show. Uh,
we got t J. Huchman's eye, we got Plexico birds. Hey,
y'all got to talk to me about these these flying
objects at the w NBA games Man. Somebody said to

(22:15):
me at Lorena's, you know, radio radio mouth on on
our two pros and a cup of Joe. She said
to me, catches out here clout chasing man, Like I wonder,
are these are these glowing dark objects being thrown onto
the floor to capture viral content going uh media news,

(22:39):
headline grabbing news. Are they flying on the floor for
clout or is there just ignorant fans in the stands
throwing these things onto the floor. How are they getting
them into the arenas? How are they comfortable enough to
throw it hard enough to make pause? You throw it
well enough to throw it well enough to the maget cord.

(23:01):
Please somebody give me some feedback on what's going on here.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Only got one question, Only have one question when it
comes to this topic. Uh, do we need to put
dil do detector in the in the WNBA? Right? Because
like great questions already sneaking these things into this arena.
But I'm with you. I'm with you, LeVar. I feel
like we live in a time where everybody's trying to

(23:28):
everybody's trying to chase that viral moment and get that
content and that content grab and it's really it is
really cooking people's brains. Because I love the w NBA.
I am a huge from im a huge like support
of the league. Right. I've had several w NBA players
on my podcast several years ago. I've coached women's basketball.

(23:50):
I love it, man, But it seems like with the
w NBA, everything that's in the headlines is everything except
for actual basketball.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
And that's my great with it.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Man. We might have to get a detector or something
in these is because.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
At this point, man, can I ask you all this,
why is it that we like what you just said?
Why is it that everything else is getting coverage for
the w NBA, but how the play is taking place?

Speaker 6 (24:22):
Is it?

Speaker 3 (24:22):
I mean what I mean? Is he not good enough
to be viral by itself? Why is there scenanigans that
have to be a party?

Speaker 5 (24:29):
How can we not be speaking about this is totally egregious.
I mean, it's a women's basketball league. And what is
the mindset of these people walking into these arenas with
these sex objects and throwing them on the court. Because
I think we well we understand the culture of what

(24:52):
the NBA w NBA is. I'm not going to get
into all that, but I think that's one of the
reasons why some of these incidents are taking place, because
of what the culture is of what the what the
w n B A currently is. And it's just unfortunate
that these these young women have to experience, you know,

(25:17):
these egregious.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
Acts that are going on.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
And we're not even talking about the performance of these
young uh you know, beautiful women who are you know,
able to go out and play the game that we love,
and we're talking about the people having the mindset of
going into the arena with the with these objects.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
What what what is a deal technic going to consist of.
I mean, I don't even know how what do you
find one? They don't exist. You know what it would
have to be, you know what it would have to be.
It would have to be one of them machines that
you're stepping through at the airports where it takes like
a scan of your body.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (25:59):
Because you know, there ain't no telling where you may
have stashed that that object to be able to get
it into.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
Man's ignorance, ignorance. That's it's kids watching these games. Bro's
kids at the games, and you got a dumb ass
doing dumb stuff. Man, that that stuff is ignorant. Bro,
it's because it's kids around, and the kids that don't
know what the an object is are gonna now ask
the parents what is that?

Speaker 3 (26:24):
How do you explain? What do you say to your child?
Like rocket ship? Yeah, for real, they're trying to go
to space, honey home. They call them the crank shuttles.
That's that's what you call a glow stick. You know,

(26:45):
you go to ice capade, so you sit out there,
you know, baby, that's that glowstick. That's all She's crazy.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Right now? NBA. I love it, but it is the
most unseerious league of sports man.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
That's sad man, all right. So what should they be
focusing in on? Because from what I can gather, and
you guys just tell me, you know, sales are down,
views are down, and you know what it's been. It's
been during the time that Caitlyn Clark has been off
of the court and out of sight. It goes to

(27:25):
towards the point, it proves the point that Caitlyn Clark
is maybe the cash cow the draw to the sport.
Does that does that feel right? Or or are we
missing something here?

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Let me let me let me tell you this. Let
me say this, Caitland Clark does move the needle unlike
anybody we've seen since probably what Maya Moore maybe, or
Donnah Trossi or her prime. But I will say Page
Becker's from the Dallas Wings. We saw a yukon. Paige
Becker is on a bad basketball team right now. The

(28:02):
Dallas Wings are horse reddish right now. But I'm telling
you he is a total package. So paide keep an
eye out on Page Beckers. She's going to give Kaitlin
a run for her money in the next two to
three years. It's going to come down to how they
market her. Are they going to market her the same
way they market Kaitlyn. But keep an eye out on
Page Becker because he's really doing thing in Dallas, even

(28:23):
though they stink right.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
Now, Okay, all right, I mean we all know Caitlyn
Clark has changed the game.

Speaker 6 (28:29):
Man.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
So the the w n b A went up in.

Speaker 4 (28:34):
Popularity, the value skyrocketed. What a coincidence when Kaitlyn Clark
and Angel Reese came into the league, and so she
needed that that that competition with Angel Ree to kind
of build it up. But if you say Caitlyn Clark
didn't have a big help in that, you're delusional, hm,

(28:58):
plex you get the last word on it.

Speaker 5 (29:00):
Yeah, man, obviously you know, just like Cuff said, Man,
I had the opportunity to you know, the witness Page
Becker's in person, and especially because you paid up here
in Yukon, and she's definitely the total package. But just
like Kuff said, you know, I think with her being
in Dallas, this album comes down to the market make
because she is all phenomenal on young basketball playing on

(29:22):
a bad team. So listen, I think that the wn
b A it will continue to get better. But as
far as you know where this league is. Just like
what Sophil Coneham said a few days ago, she said,
y'all got to be crazy to not think that Caitland
Clark is not the face of this league.

Speaker 3 (29:41):
And she's on and she's right.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
So Thenita will continue to move with the w A
w n b A asked Caitland Clark's moves period.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
All right, let's switch gears a little bit here, and
let's go to a retired player that has made headlines
this this week. Obviously, Gilbert Arenas he got you know,
he got got popped, he got pinched, but has made
bell since. And but I guess it's illegal poker games

(30:14):
that were taking place. Just get give us, give us
some color on it, give us what you know on it.
Cuffs and and TJ plex. You know, you guys go
ahead and react to it. What what we got going
on here with with with no chill Gill, I mean, we.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
See no chill gear. We see we see Gilbert Areenas
he got arrested. You gotta he got arrested for the
gambling ring or whatever in his house. We've seen Shannon
Sharp situation, We've seen Marcus Maris situation. Retired player. I'm
starting to think that maybe Steven A. Smith might be
under cover cop. I don't know, he might be wearing

(30:49):
wearing a wire. He might be wearing a wire. Look
this guy, three guys now, look at look at it.
Look at the rimner to that right. I just said, stem,
it might be you gotta remember INNTD the movie with
Yeah and Stephen Dame might be j Ree. I'm just

(31:15):
that's that's my two sin on it. But give it
Arenas man. I was a huge fan of him as
a player. You know, he dropped sixty on Klube and
I feel like when he dropped sixty on Kobe that
put him into a different stratosphere. Like he had a
couple of games. He had a couple of years there
where he was really a bachi that was a nick name.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
Oh yeah, I was there. I was playing when he
was doing it in d C. I was that was there.
He was the man bar Labar.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
You were in d C.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
You remember, I remember he had to he had to
sity on fire.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Bro give the Arenas used to go to the worst
neighborhoods in Washington, d C. In the summer time and
play street ball in the summertime in the in the trenches, right,
So I'm always respected Gilbert, But it just feels like
back to what we were saying earlier about this world
we live in now with viral moments and everybody chasing
those viral moments. Even since this story came out, guys

(32:08):
are not taking stuff serious. I've seen Gilbert on his
platform since his infinite you know, since his news came out,
and it's like, Bro, when are you going to mature?
Because we saw what happened to your NBA career. It
was derailed because the injuries and immaturity. Now you're a
grown man now where kids. Your son is in college,
he's about to go to the NBA. Sometimes the jokes

(32:29):
are not funny anymore. You know what I'm saying, It's
time to me and man, That's how I look at
it with give with the ringers sometimes, but I feel
like he's he has the mind of a child. It
seems like, because why are you are you always in
these situations? Bro? Like you should you should be having
fun with your platform. You gotta stay out of trouble. Man,
Like it's I got that have a fan to give her,
But I just feel like he's caught up in a

(32:50):
lot of stuff.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
Well, what's y'all's take on it? Yeah, you just don't
know what it is, bro Like, he said he rented
the house out.

Speaker 4 (32:58):
But when you start talking people in the mob and
hethgal this and that, Man, you gotta be just in
life in general. You gotta be careful with that type
of stuff, like I want. I want no part to
any of that. Like, so I don't know what to
make of it. You know, he comes out and I'm snitching.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
I ain't.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
I just rented out the house. So, I mean, you
really don't know what to believe in. Furthermore, they say
this happened in twenty twenty two. What took so long?
Why is you now just getting the rest for something
that happened three years ago. I guess, hey, man, No, chill, Gil,
You better chill. That's all I can tell you.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
You better chill. Put a little bit chill.

Speaker 5 (33:44):
You came down them steps though the other day, talking
about they can't hold you. Oh yes they can. If
they want to get you, they will get you. So, Guil,
agent zero Hibachi, whatever you want to be called, I
think you better chill.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
Well, I'll tell you what, We're about to take a
chill because we're gonna take a quick break, all right,
and on the other side of the break, we're gonna
wrap this thing up. Uh yeah, this is up on game.
That's that's a cuffs to legend. That's t J. Huschmansyesplexico burs.
I'm LeVar Arrington. Uh yeah, quick break on the other
side of the break, will be right back. And listen. Guys,

(34:22):
y'all gotta understand this. That Blue you it's the real deal.

your partner. Check out bluech you man. They got all

We're gonna wrap up with this TJ. You had a

(37:07):
question in particular for Cuffs. I know Plexico, you've gone
through this have been a part of what TJ is
going to ask as well, So I'm curious to hear
what you guys got to say. You take it away, ay,
Cuffs real quick.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
So I'm in this space and I know Plexus in
this space just with his daughter, So cause I want
to a couple weeks ago, right as a big AAU
tournament in Florida, Paul George Elite got caught cheating with
an older player. Man, what is it gonna take for
in the basketball space to get to prevent fifteen year

(37:47):
olds from playing down with eleven and twelve year olds
and sixteen year olds playing down with thirteen year olds?

Speaker 3 (37:55):
What is it gonna take with that?

Speaker 4 (37:56):
Because they had AAU Nationals and Paul Georgia Leakue got
caught cheating.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
This is al must I'll send you the link to
this dude.

Speaker 4 (38:04):
They played with a college coach's son that wasn't eligible
to play because he was ordered.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
This dude is a college coach. Like, what is it
gonna take? Because you've been in this space.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
Man, I have advanced background as a coach and a trainer.
That was one of my real passions for so long,
like almost twenty years. Man. That exact situation happened to
me and my boys in Atlanta back in twenty fifteen.
I think it was. We made it to the final
four and the USBA Nationals out of like ninety teams, right,
so we get to the final four and my boys

(38:39):
at that time were sixth graders. They had eighth and
ninth graders, eighth and ninth graders. And the funny part
of the story is it was a team that was
back home where I where we were from, so we
knew the kids. Isn't that crazy? Like we knew the kids,
so we knew they were cheating, but they didn't even
do nothing about it. Man. But to ask you a question,

(39:01):
uh TJ, what happens is you have these grown men
who want the trophy more than the kids do.

Speaker 5 (39:08):
That's what happens.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
I've seen grown men win AU tournaments and drove home
with the trophy in the front seat, with the seat
belt wrapped around the trophy. I've seen that. Like I've
seen that, like it becomes where God was that you was?
It was? It was it you you got all you
guys played for y'all played ball at a high level.

(39:32):
I was pretty good like guys who played. We want
the kids to experience the joy of winning it and
and and the agony of defeat. We want the kids
to experience the highs and the lows. So when my
boys used to win AU tournaments, they never really wanted
to get in a picture with them because that was
their moment. The parents, the parents of the players I

(39:53):
used to coach, used to have to tell me to
get into group pictures when we want a tournament because
it wasn't about me. It was about me, even though
I poured everything into my boys. And I think we
need to get back to that side of brass roots
sports because that's why we do it anyway. Like TJ,
I see you with Drake London and mac millan ill tee.
You what your guys moving the puppies like you you

(40:14):
out here training wide receiver. You give it back. That's
what we have to get back to. Bro. But it's
a crazy game. Man. Guys will do anything for that
two dollar trophy. I'm telling you they do anything.

Speaker 3 (40:26):
Hey man, answer your question.

Speaker 5 (40:27):
Man, you know I've been in this AREU circuit man
for the last four or five years obviously, you know,
you know, you know seeing my daughter just play all
around the country. And to answer your question, it's no
different than reclassing. They have this thing now where you know,
it's crazy that the parents can hold the kids back
a year so they can further develop to give them

(40:50):
a better chance to have success in the next few years.
You know, whether it's getting recruited or you know, going
to the next level, whatever the case may be. My
daughter actually plays up so's she's fifteen, but she plays
in the sixteen you So, I really think it doesn't
help the kid develop. You know, it gives them a

(41:11):
false security of where they really are as far as
their age is concerned. So you know they had I've
seen situations where parents reclass their kids like two years.

Speaker 4 (41:28):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying, Like, you got a thirteen
year old playing with an eleven year old's that's crazy.

Speaker 3 (41:34):
You should not be.

Speaker 5 (41:34):
Able to reclash your kid more than one year. Now
you're in high school. You have a seventeen year old
kid who's a freshman in high school. He's going to
graduate in high school when he's twenty years old.

Speaker 3 (41:51):
That's crazy. I wasn't going to the NFL when I
was twenty one.

Speaker 5 (41:54):
So now you have all these kids who are one
getting held back, well being reclassed twice. I have I
know kids here in the state of New Jersey that
played uh pop water football with my son au basketball
and high school football and.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
That's still in high school.

Speaker 5 (42:18):
The junior's in high school because they were reclassed for
two straight years.

Speaker 3 (42:24):
My son's in college. Yeah, and it goes to the parents.
It's not about the kids, it's about the parents. It's
about point Blatz. Yeah, I get it. Last word comes
and then we're getting up out of here. What your
last word on it? What you think the response to that?

Speaker 2 (42:41):
If you go to an AU tournament and it's fifth
and fifth and Sithary boys playing, you see kids out
there were full beards.

Speaker 3 (42:51):
We just played. We just played in Las Vegas.

Speaker 4 (42:54):
Man, swear to god win the fifth grade division kid
had a full mustache.

Speaker 3 (42:58):
I'm not lying to you. He had a full mustache.

Speaker 1 (43:01):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (43:02):
And he's supposed to be in the fifth grade.

Speaker 2 (43:04):
Certificate check certificate.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
That's what I say. He is on the I g
dunking in the sixth grade. Come on, man, I dunked
in the sixth grade. No, No, I dunked in the game.
I was dunking in games in the sixth grade. Got
to thinking about you, Oh, I was just I'm just
saying for all the legit dudes that was out there,
that's all I'm saying. I did dunk in the sixth grade.

(43:26):
That's that's all I'm gonna say. But anyways, not about me.
It's about us, and it's about Fox Sports Radio and
